1Coyote Drive-In (Fort Worth)

Drive-in movie theater
Movie theater
Coyote Drive-In in Fort Worth offers a unique entertainment experience with outdoor double features and a large concession area serving local brews. It's a popular spot for families, providing a playground for kids to enjoy before the movie and during intermission. The drive-in also stands out with its full-service restaurant, bowling alley, and video arcade, making it an all-encompassing entertainment destination.
Really great experience for being my first time visiting the Coyote Drive-In Theatre in Fort Worth. The gates open at 6:00pm and the front booth person will guide you to where you to the auditorium where the movie will be showing (color coded auditoriums.) The front booth employee was welcoming and gave me a laugh! I recommend going here early so you can get the good parking spot. I came here 3 hours ahead to experience the place and walk around (retro gaming booths, outdoor games, dog park, & food trucks), nice place to enjoy the outdoors while watching the Fort Worth city landscape. To listen to the movie you’ll need to tune into radio station FM 103.5 (auditorium 2.) Buy ticket online and present at ticket booth for scanning, it’ll help make the process smooth from arriving to heading to the auditorium. Parking did get packed closer to movie time and spots were being taken quickly. So I recommend going earlier than the recommended 90 minutes (for good parking.) Remember to turn off your headlights, break lights, and any lamps that can be distracting and/blocking the cars around you. Restrooms were very very clean and there’s a fan to keep the place cool.

Awesome spot. Amazing views of the city at night. Very family oriented. Clean restroom area. They rent radios but we brought our own ( who wants to leave their car on for 2+ hours? ) Only complaint is that the screen is not very bright. Even with zero sunlight and totally dark out – night scenes are basically not watchable. That's the only reason why I deduct a star. But other than that we will continue to bring our family here!
Zachary E — Google review
Took my son to see Elio and it wasn't a bad experience. The staff was professional, they have a little play area for the kids and a live performance until the movie got started. The set up was different a screen in front and a screen in the back and everyone was respectful with their headlights so didn't have a problem on this day. I plan on visiting again in the future.
T M — Google review
The experience is great. Fun things for the kids to do while waiting for the movie. The food is good and reasonably priced. The crowd was polite. The view is great. Glad Fort Worth has been able to keep it going.
Rad D — Google review
Coyote Drive-In delivers the classic drive-in experience with modern comfort. The setup is smooth from the moment you arrive. Parking is well organized. Staff guide you in with clear directions, so you get a perfect view of the screen. The audio through the radio is sharp and clean, making every line of the film easy to hear. The screens are bright and clear, even after sunset. Picture quality holds up without distortion. You enjoy the film without distractions. The concession stand is a highlight. Fresh popcorn, solid pizza, cold drinks, and fair prices. The food arrives fast, even on busy nights. The outdoor seating area near the stand adds a relaxed, social atmosphere. The place is spotless. Bathrooms are clean. Trash is picked up regularly. It’s clear the staff takes pride in maintaining the space. The pricing is strong value. You get a double feature for less than most single movie tickets in theaters. Families, couples, and groups all fit in easily. The vibe is laid-back and fun. You can stay in your car or set up chairs outside without any pressure. Five stars for smooth operations, excellent picture quality, great food, and a setting that brings movie nights to life.
Ender B — Google review
Excellent place, you'll find food, entertainment for kids, and excellent movies to come with the family and enjoy a movie outdoors. I really recommend this place.

09/06/2025 Fantastic Four Popcorn, cheeseburger/fries, drinks This experience was amazing! The setup was wonderful, technology was perfect and worked flawlessly, and everything about the concessions area was next level great! The only issue we had was our kid wanted a snow cone and that specific booth was closed. The food was good however our only suggestion would be to add more butter. Summary: What a great experience!! Thank you and we will be back!!

The Fort Worth Stockyards is a historic district in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas, and a testament to the state's livestock industry. This 98-acre area was once a major stop for cattle drovers heading up the Chisholm Trail. Today, it celebrates this tradition with attractions like championship rodeos, Longhorn cattle drives, gunslinger shows, and stagecoach rides. Visitors can explore old buildings with Mexican-style architecture and enjoy shopping at handicraft and painting shops.
The Fort Worth Stockyards is one of those rare places where history, culture, and entertainment blend seamlessly, and my visit there was nothing short of memorable. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted by an atmosphere that celebrates Texas heritage while offering modern comforts and attractions for today’s visitors. One of the first things that caught my eye was the vibrant outdoor setup, especially the colorful ribbons tied across the trees. They gave the area a festive and lively feel, perfect for relaxing with family and friends. Beneath the shade, patio umbrellas marked with restaurant names created a laid-back environment where people could enjoy food, drinks, and good conversation. As I walked deeper into the Stockyards, I couldn’t help but admire the rustic charm of the Second Rodeo Brewing Co.. The huge brewing tanks, red-brick walls, and open-air alleyway with cobblestone flooring gave the place an industrial yet authentic Texas feel. It felt like history had been carefully preserved while still being adapted into a modern hangout spot. The sculptures and artwork scattered throughout the Stockyards added another layer of charm. The life-sized horse statues stood proudly, reminding visitors of the cowboy and ranching roots of Fort Worth. Nearby, the dynamic bull-riding monument captured the energy and bravery of rodeo life, creating one of the most iconic photo opportunities in the entire area.Food and shopping options are abundant, and the signage wall makes it clear that there’s something for everyone. From local favorites like Biscuit Bar and Tannahill’s Tavern to well-known spots like Shake Shack, you can find everything from hearty Texas meals to quick casual bites. Shops like Lucchese Bootmaker and Ariat keep the Western spirit alive, offering authentic cowboy boots and apparel. Whether you’re in the mood for fine dining, casual drinks, or live music, the Stockyards has it all.The heart of the area, Stockyards Station, ties everything together. With its historic architecture, water fountain, and the famous Stockyards Station archway over the street, it feels like stepping back into a different era while still enjoying the liveliness of modern Fort Worth.Overall, the Fort Worth Stockyards is more than just a tourist attraction it’s an experience. It beautifully combines history, entertainment, food, shopping, and art into one destination. Whether you’re a local looking for a weekend outing or a traveler eager to soak in Texan culture, the Stockyards is a must-visit spot that captures the true spirit of Fort Worth.😎😎😎😌

As a destination, it's a very cool place. The buildings and atmosphere are truly amazing. The restaurants are great, and the buildings really look the part. But things are quite touristy; only a few shops have authentic feel to the western goods they sell. Most are of the t-shirts and trinkets variety, although there are boots galore and a fair array of hats for sale, and the tiniest bit of tack. One excellent furniture store. Terrific place to see urban "woo!" girls in shorts and boots falling out of their tops; it's easy to imagine this is a Bachelorette destination. Pricing varies from cheap tourist trash to woah, pardner, I left the Platinum card in my other pants. If like to have seen more local craftsmen but I think that's true for me everywhere I go. $30 to park ensures you don't just drop in for an hour, the place is a commitment best spread over the chunk of a day. Glad we went, hope my son takes his family some day, not sure I'll be back for a couple of decades but sure enjoyed it once.

As someone who lived in Fort Worth, the Stockyards isn’t my go-to place to hang out, but if you’re visiting or looking for something unique, I cannot recommend it more! First, of course, the history is so interesting and the area is such a good representation of the Western/Texan style while being modernized. It is largely a shopping center with bars and restaurants. If you’re visiting Fort Worth, DEFINITELY take some hours to explore! There’s some good food, Texan-owned businesses, fun stores to check out, unique bars, and more! Definitely spend some time on the street to check out the longhorns and enjoy the people watching! Definitely stop into Billybob’s! Enjoy!
Katelyn M — Google review
Well worth the visit! Lots of shopping and plenty of great restaurants to choose from. We had lunch at Provender Hall. Sat upstairs (you have to be able to climb the stairs.) Great atmosphere, awesome service, and outstanding. Parking can be a challenge. There is valet parking available throughout the area. Free parking is available, and it fills up fast.
Ramona D — Google review
Great place to take the entire family and could easily spend a couple days there and not get bored. We visited a lot of shops and grabbed some food on a Sunday and watched the cattle drive. We had a lot of fun and found some great treasures.
Thomas S — Google review
So much can be said about the Stockyards. From the bulls to the bars. Billy Bobs was awesome. We were there mid day so it wasn't busy at all. The night life picked up and we did a little dancing. We will definitely be visiting again 😊
Tammy D — Google review
Great place for an adult weekend getaway! We visited the world famous Billy Bob’s for a concert, watched the daily longhorn cattle drive, attended the rodeo and shopped at the stores. Parking in the public lots range $10-$25 a day. Be prepared for a lot of walking.

The wife and I decided that we would bring our teenage daughter and our autistic son here this week along with our ranch hand. Our son just loves the longhorns and the dinosaur shaped water feature. We all had a good time. Great place to visit with the family!! I just wish that the Old Spaghetti Warehouse was still open and running like back in the day!!

The Fort Worth Zoo is a renowned attraction that is home to over 7,000 animals from more than 650 species around the world. It has been welcoming visitors for over a century and boasts a diverse range of creatures, including elephants, tigers, lemurs, and even a giant panda. The zoo offers interactive activities such as a petting enclosure, rock climbing wall, hurricane simulator, and a miniature train ride.
The Fort Worth Zoo is honestly one of the best zoos I’ve been to in Texas. The layout is super easy to follow, there’s a ton of animals, and the elephant exhibit really stood out, it’s probably the most well-designed one I’ve seen. You can get really close, and they have so much room to roam. There is a lot of walking though, so definitely wear comfy shoes. The good news is, most of the paths are shaded, and there are plenty of spots to sit, grab drinks, or get snacks. They even have misters set up in a few spots, which felt amazing in the heat. I went on a Friday around 10am, and it wasn’t crowded at all. Parking was super easy, just $5, and the lot is huge. Getting in was quick, and everyone working there was really nice. I liked that they mixed indoor and outdoor exhibits, so it felt comfortable the whole time. We didn’t ride the little zoo train, but you could hear it going by, which added a fun touch. Food-wise, there were a few chains and a café, nothing fancy, but decent for grabbing a bite. The only bummer was the ice cream shop was closed when we went. The splash pad was a nice surprise too. It’s small, but perfect for kids to cool off, and there are tables and chairs around it so parents can sit back and relax. Overall, the Fort Worth Zoo is definitely worth a visit. It’s fun, affordable, and there’s something for everyone.
R M — Google review
Wow this zoo was amazing and clean, we spent 5 hours walking around looking at all the animals. Very well kept and maintained. Food choices are okay and prices are good. Loved seeing how many animals were out. Price for admission is right on in my opinion. There is plenty of shade and lots of places to sit and relax along the way.
Bradley N — Google review
I have been to zoos across America and this by far is the best I’ve been to. Clean, thoughtfully laid out with misting and covered areas that blend in with the environment for you to view the animals. The food was really good and not expensive. So many options also. Now let’s talk animals. Other zoos I’ve been to have their animals in small spaces and you can tell they’re under distress. The animals here are vibrant and healthy! They are so fun to watch. The babies are adorable 🥰 My son and I had the best time here yesterday. I live 2 hours away but am going to get a membership because it’s just that great of a place. Well done to the owners!
Lee — Google review
This zoo is worth visiting. It has a lot to offer. The theming throughout the zoo makes it really nice. It is clean with lots of paths and lots of plants. We live in Dallas, but it is really worth the drive all the way across time. We really enjoyed the barn play area as well. It has a nice slide and lots of entertaining activities. One thing to keep in mind is that if you go on the weekend parking is absolutely crazy. We actually parked outside the zoo and walked to the zoo. We will definitely be back soon
Ruth B — Google review
As someone who hasn't been to the zoo or aquarium in decades this was a fun experience to be able to visit. Much better zoo than the Los Angeles zoo I went to when I was a kid not knocking the other one. Great prices for food and entry very shaded almost didn't need sunblock. Bring your kids bring your wife Heck bring your girlfriend just not both at the same time it'll be fun.
Philly F — Google review
I know there are a lot of people who don't like zoos because they think that animals are mistreated or that they were taken out of their natural habitat. I respect that. But within that perspective of people, the animals look very clean, the area is clean, the water of the elephants is spectacular, and I would like to recommend it. I Love it!!
Jannette V — Google review
One of the better zoos I’ve visited in Texas! The Fort Worth Zoo has a great layout, a wide range of animals, and some standout exhibits—especially the elephant exhibit, which is one of the most thoughtfully designed I’ve seen. You can get surprisingly close, and the space they have to roam is impressive. I went on a Wednesday, which is Half-Price Day—only $10 for adults, which is a great value. Just keep in mind, this also means the zoo is packed with school field trips. There were dozens of school buses and crowds of kids throughout the park. It’s still doable, but if you're looking for a quiet experience, you might want to choose a different day. There’s a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes. The paths are shaded in many areas, and there are plenty of places to sit, grab drinks, or stop for snacks. They also have misters set up in a few places, which was a nice touch in the heat. Parking is $5 and there’s a large lot with plenty of space, even on busy days. Entry was smooth and well organized, and the staff were friendly. Overall, Fort Worth Zoo is worth a visit, especially for families or animal lovers. Just time your visit carefully if you want to avoid big crowds.

Perfect place for a date or even a family day. They have so many different animals. My favorite part was the inside aquarium area had a variety of fish, snakes , spiders and dry land animals.

The Fort Worth Water Gardens is a serene urban park designed by architects Philip Johnson and John Burgee, offering 4.3 acres of waterfalls, pools, and fountains. This tranquil oasis features various water features including the Aerating Pool (Dancing Pool), Quiet Pool, and Active Pool. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks along the walkways and terraces or simply relax by the pools.
Cool spot to check out if you're in downtown Fort Worth. The Water Gardens are a mix of fountains and modern concrete design definitely a different vibe from your typical city park. The main waterfall area is fun to walk down into, and there’s a quiet pool if you just want to sit and chill for a bit. It's free, open to the public, and not usually too crowded. Not a place I’d go way out of my way for, but a nice stop if you’re already nearby or looking for a peaceful break in the city.
Blayz B — Google review
The Fort Worth Water Gardens are a unique spot with some stunning features, like the beautiful trees, striking rock wall “mountains,” and the impressive fountains. The active water features are mesmerizing to watch and really set the gardens apart. That said, it can get pretty crowded, which makes it harder to fully enjoy the space, and there’s a bit of an odor near the first pool when you walk down the steps. The gardens can also feel a little less inviting at night, as there are often homeless individuals around. Overall, it’s worth visiting during the day to appreciate the fountains, design, and natural beauty.
Natasha C — Google review
We were a group of 5 and visited the Fort Worth Water Gardens on a Friday night. We really loved it! It’s a simple place, not too much to explore, but peaceful and calming. You can enjoy the view from the top or walk down the steps to hear the sound of the water. Sometimes, all you need is a quiet and relaxing spot and this place is perfect for that. Street parking is free after 6 PM on weekends, but on regular days, it's paid.
Sandy1501 V — Google review
It is absolutely beautiful but a good portion of the fountain was not working. You can you see my pictures a lot of the white portions are just staining on the rocks not actual water coming down. Kind of ruined the aesthetic. :/ hopefully they get it fixed soon because it is a very relaxing and calming environment. They don't want you climbing on all of the features that don't have water, even though it's impossible to keep kids off, of but the portion with a scary descent with no handrails into the water feature is encouraged. Confused:/
Carin J — Google review
We had planned to go there many days ago, but couldn't manage our time. Finally, when we did visit, the mesmerizing view of the fantastic water garden was a source of mental peace. Many people were there, enjoying the beauty of the waterfall, the calm garden, and the small artificial mountains. We truly loved our time there.

Truly a wonderful experience, a must visit destination if you are in Fort Worth area. Stepping inside the Water Gardens, especially the Quite Pool; it is quite an amazing place as if you are not even in the bustling city with the turquoise water and beautiful redwoods.
Hang P — Google review
I felt like I was super Mario as we descended down into the depths of the Active Water Pool, one of multiple water art exhibits found at the Ft Worth water gardens. When you visit, imagine the music of the first level of Super Mario Brothers. If you really want to make it authentic, try and hop between each step (actually no don’t try that). In all seriousness though, my wife and I enjoyed our quick visit to this spot before a show at the Bass music hall. We wanted to see some local attractions and outdoor gardens and those types of things that were free in the area before getting dinner. We enjoyed seeing it.
David T — Google review
Place is entirely free with good vibes.Quite a little crowd but not too crowded. Not really place sit and chill per se. No covered shades fir when it rains of the sun is too much but the sight and aesthetics are good to see.

Bass Performance Hall is a stunning architectural gem located in Fort Worth's vibrant cultural district. This elegant venue, funded entirely through private support, boasts a classic European opera house design with impressive artistic elements. Home to major performing arts organizations and resident companies like the Fort Worth Opera and Symphony Orchestra, the hall also hosts various traveling performances throughout the year. Visitors can enjoy concerts, plays, and other entertainment at this iconic North Texas landmark.
Bass Hall is stunning with a wonderful staff and not a bad seat in the house. It is such a treat to visit this beautiful and historical building to see phenomenal shows. Highly recommend catching the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra or a Broadway show any time you can! Tickets to shows make excellent and thoughtful gifts for family, friends, co-workers, and kids. Bass Hall has something special for everyone.

Always a great time seeing a show here. Gorgeous art deco design (even if it isn't a true art deco-era building) and classy finishes, though maybe a tad heavy on the 80s pastel paint swatches. I love getting dressed up for a night on the town then coming to sit down and watch an entertaining show for a date night here.
Alex D — Google review
I recently visited the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth for the first time to see The Wiz on Broadway, and I was very impressed. Parking was easy to find and free, and the website had all the details a first-time visitor would need, which was very helpful. Everyone I encountered from security, to the ushers, to the bartenders was welcoming and accommodating. Honestly, I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the hall. Even if you’re in the very last row, you’ll still have a great view of the stage. Another bonus is that there are several restaurants conveniently close by. After the show, my friends and I walked right across the street for dinner, which made the night even more enjoyable. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back. The service truly felt A+. The only downside was the price of the drinks — I paid about fifteen dollars plus the cost of a souvenir cup, and the themed mixed drink tasted more like juice than a cocktail. Next time, I’ll stick with wine or a soft drink. That said, I did like that you can bring the souvenir cups back for future visits, since only those are allowed in the theater.
Ke K — Google review
Bass Hall is a beautiful venue for performances of broadway theater and other artists. The dome is a stunning view from inside the theater, their are plenty of restrooms throughout so you are not stuck in line like some other facilities. In my opinion, after attending tons of Broadway (on and off broadway) in many theaters, the box seats here are not worth the price. The seats were so uncomfortable and awkwardly close to other patrons we could not speak without all having a conversation together with new "stranger friends". If you want a box, reserve the entire box. Maybe just the performances or just this theater, but three shows in box seats and have never had box service - completely different than any other theater experience and expectations. All in all, it is beautiful, it seems everything is original, the marble is stunning throughout. It has a historical vibe to it even though it was built in 1998. The bathrooms have the full length door (thank you- finally, privacy). ***It is cold. As soon as the show starts, the A/C kicks on full blast. Bring a sweater, even if it is 100° outside. That's my two cents, go find your own.

Took my son and my sibling to see The Book of Mormon (my favorite musical ever!) and had a great time! Staff was friendly and helpful, even pointing out prime spots for photo ops with the gorgeous architecture. We were in the nosebleed seats and still had a great view of the performance. Parking tip, though: maybe skip the valet. There's a garage right across the street from the theatre, and getting our car back after the show took a VERY long time. We weren't in any hurry, so it wasn't a big deal, but next time I'll just go to the garage.

We love bass performance hall. The location makes date night convenient with so many surrounding dinner options. The staff are friendly and helpful especially Maryann.... great energy and genuine!

Bass Concert Hall is one of the things that makes downtown Fort Worth so special! You don't even have to enter the building to feel its impact, the outside is so beautiful with its architecture and the trumpet angels. Inside, you won't be disappointed. It's a wonderful place to see a range of different performances.
F B — Google review
We saw The Addams Family last weekend and it was fabulous! I've never been disappointed at Bass Hall, the acoustics, the lighting, the stage, the show the orchestra. It's all great! The seats really could give you a little more leg room because if you're taller than I am at 5'5. I don't see how you can sit there without your knees up to your chin but that would require a major overhaul. And I don't think I want Bass Hall shut down for that long LOL

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden, established in 1934, is a sprawling 120-acre oasis featuring an array of attractions for nature enthusiasts. Visitors can explore the expansive wooded areas, marvel at the tropical displays in the 10,000 sq ft conservatory, and wander through the serene Japanese Garden with its koi ponds and cherry trees. The Oval Rose Garden boasts hundreds of roses while Rock Springs offers tranquil ponds and herb collections.
This is one of my favorite spots in Fort Worth! It is absolutely stunning. I have been to quote a few Japanese Garden in USA, the again is the best! The Japanese garden is well designed in a large part of Fort Worth Botanical Garden. It shows how the architects care and respect Japanese gardens. Beautiful buildings are also in there. I went there when it is all green but I can see lot of maple trees. I imagine that when it is late November, the park will even be more stunning! I saw someone has a wedding in the park that day, what a great choice!

Absolutely incredible place to visit. The Ft. Worth Botanical Gardens are worth the trip. We didn't get to cover half of the property but spent a solid 3 hours on the first half. Bring water and snacks and plan to spend some time exploring. It has something for all ages and overall just a wonderful place. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful and refreshing gardens. We went while they had the musical swings, which were so fun! They’re taking them out December 7th, so definitely visit before! I visited around 9AM-11AM on Sunday, perfect time to go. Not too hot outside/in the conservatory and not too many people/no crowds

We love this place! It’s our favorite place to go on family walks. Right now they have the musical swings which are fun for any age! I love how we can feed the giant fishes and see all the gorgeous plants. Every time we come there is something new to see! This time of year beware you might see some creepy crawlers. Perfect for Halloween! 🕷️🕸️

This is a fantastic garden and is one of the oldest in the entire state! You can explore over 20 themed spaces across 100+ acres. There are native plants and exotic plants that have been selected to thrive in the central Texas climate.

This is a wonderful place to visit—perfect for studying, enjoying a peaceful walk, spending time with friends and family, or simply unwinding in nature. The area is beautiful, tranquil, and filled with scenic views. If you get thirsty or a bit hungry, there’s a small spot nearby where you can grab a quick bite. There are plenty of places to sit and relax, and the walking trails offer a great way to explore the surroundings. Highly recommended for anyone looking to connect with nature in a serene setting.

Awesome views especially during the japanese festival, great place to visit with loved ones!!! Had so much good memories with boyfriend. It's in the fall though so there weren't a lot of flowers, but I'm still very happy visiting here

Even though on our walk through the garden it rained we still enjoyed our time. Had the opportunity to see flowers I have not seen before and take in all the beauty of the botanical garden. Highly recommend getting the $4 bag of fish food for the fish and turtles. Such a peaceful and calming place to visit.

Great museum! And the staff are very kind and helpful. We went for the Cowboy exhibition and it was fantastic. The general collection is beautiful as well. Especially if you love western art. Definitely make sure you have time to read the plaques as some have very interesting facts! Highly recommend this place! Absolutely free to visit.

The museum has a great collection of American art. Notable topics: American history, American industrial era, Native American history, Asian-American art, Classical music, and other topics. The museum has a museum shops with nice merchandise and gifts, restrooms with friendly aid for children (hand washing area), library (open September to May), sitting areas indoor and outdoor, and parking. It’s a child friendly art museum.

The Amon Carter Museum of American Art is often overlooked with the other more popular art museums in the area. However, it should definitely be on your list if you’re looking for something a little different with a good amount of art about the American West not often showcased in other museums. Oh, did I mention that admission is free? If you’re an art junkie and try to appreciate all the pieces you’ll want to budget around 2-3 hours.

Really great museum! Lots of impressive paintings. Liked it a lot. Also a short walk to two other wonderful museums all on the same campus. Definitely worth your time when visiting if you like art !!

The Amon Carter Museum of Art is a jewel of Ft. Worth. It displays an incredible selection of art pieces in a space that is a work of art in its own right. The Amon Carter is located just west of downtown and offers a spectacular view of the Ft. Worth skyline. Amon Carter’s gift to the city is an absolute treasure for all to enjoy. And, it is free for all visitors.

What an amazing museum! All staff were very friendly and the collections were wonderful. I went specifically to see the Howard butts collections but they had so much more!

I recognize that this museum is quite a bit more focused than others - it’s American art and that’s it - but they do such a good job. Keep in mind that I tend to get most excited about the special exhibits, and they have very good ones (most recently, Avedon and Charles Butt). Oh yeah… it’s free! The only other museum worth my time is the Kimball… and I’m from Dallas, and hugely disappointed by the DMA.

Had a great time learning to blow glass. I went with a group of four and we all were able to complete our projects in the allotted time and felt like the time flew by! Kevin and the other two were so informative and helpful! I learned so much and felt very empowered afterwards. I’ve also done the flame work class in the past and highly recommend it as well. I can’t wait to go back and make more projects

Fantastic experience taking a class here! Canaan was an excellent instructor and lots of fun to work with. His assistant instructor Madeline took photos for me while I was learning! Christian was great at explaining what was going on while we were observing. Highly recommend! Also, there is a cute gift shop with hand made jewelry, glassware and art that I have my eye on for Christmas gift purchases!

My husband and I did the 30 min glass blowing class. We each chose our colors, help fire it, then swirled the colors and blow it into shape. The instructors were wonderful, clear instructions, and incredibly patient. We have already made our reservations to go back and make ornaments for X-mas!!

I have taken 3 glass blowing classes (survey 1&2 and Tumblers) from Kevin and Clifton. Both instructors were fantastic! They have such a good way of communicating with various students and are encouraging and funny. I highly recommend this studio and these classes to everyone I talk to about it! Glass blowing itself is great! It is a different kind of creative challenge that is so physical and intuitive (hopefully more so as I continue!) I fully plan on continuing to explore the craft and take more advanced classes soon!

Scat Jazz Lounge is a speakeasy-style club located in a subterranean space, offering live jazz performances from local and national talent. The venue emphasizes jazz and blues music, creating an authentic Fort Worth experience. Situated in the basement of the historic Woolworth building, it features a full bar with an impressive selection of beverages, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a long day.
This was our first visit to Scat Jazz Lounge, and we had a blast! Great atmosphere for a date night and very talented musicians (Michael Morrison and the rest of the ensemble were terrific). Our server, Stephanie, was also SUPERB! Very friendly and attentive and had great drink recommendations. I highly recommend trying the cheesecake. Thanks for a delightful evening! We will definitely be back.
Rachael T — Google review
I couldn’t tell you about the experience at this lounge because there actually was none! After planning our entire evening around this venue, myself and two friends arrive and are met with what I would presume to be the most incompetent, uninformed hostess, I’ve ever experienced. She immediately tells us she doesn’t work here often and doesn’t think she can seat us. That’s fine! We offered to split up, wait for a space to open up, sit at the bar stools, or even possibly stand as it genuinely didn’t look busy. She simply just gave us a dramatic frazzled shrug and said let me ask management. She returned in approximately .5 minutes saying management absolutely would not allow that. Okay lovely. The performers sounded amazing and we were honestly just hoping to have a classy evening out and enjoy their performance. She said, “you can leave and come back later” to which we asked is there truly nowhere for us to just observe and she said, “uh no”. The sound man behind her was zero help as he just said don’t look at me I just do the audio! Thanks man. We obviously thanked them for trying, and left however, overheard the group of gentleman behind us get seated immediately with no reservation. We were dressed professionally unlike the WILD ensemble miss hostess was exhibiting, we hadn’t had one drink that evening, and truly just confused were as to why she had a preconceived bias about us. Super disrespectful, the performers deserve better and she should go from working intermittently, to never working at all❤️

This place is a great spot for a night out or a date night! The espresso martini and the hot Toddy were really good 10/10. However I will say it would have been nice to know at the door that rather than buying 2 drinks per person it could have just been a fee which was a bit inconvenient. Overall this place was great and the artist’s were amazing.
Sandra G — Google review
So fun! Great jazz music, wonderful ambiance. I had the cold brew martini mocktail, and it was delicious.
Abby S — Google review
Great small venue that accepts reservations and allows you to select your seating when you reserve. Tonight I saw Johnny Reno with his band, and they were terrific. They are so smooth and professional, but it was obvious they were having a blast on stage. I've also seen Ricki Derek there. Drinks are reasonable, desserts are $10 (sharable size), and chips with dip and veggies are $13. Free parking is available along Taylor Street a few blocks west and north of the venue if you don't mind walking. The Scat Jazz Lounge is highly recommended! And, they allow non-flash photography.

Saw Mahogany the Artist. GREAT jazz speakeasy atmosphere, great drinks, ever better waitstaff. Highly recommend!!!!
Shaun G — Google review
It was my first time ever at a jazz lounge and it was such a vibe and romantic date spot. It’s underground I suggest taking a sweater or something because it can get chilly. The music was everything. We ordered drinks but they took for ever to come the waitress said the original bar tender was out of town so his replacement must not of known what they were doing. I almost thought she forgot it because she did forget our chips and dip and we had to ask for it again but the spinach and artichoke dip was good.

Housed within the striking Louis Kahn-designed building, the museum offers visitors a captivating experience with its diverse range of paintings, sculptures, and artifacts.
First of all, admittance is FREE or it was the day I went. The Kimbell Art Museum is a hidden gem that captivates visitors with its exquisite collection of vintage paintings and ancient artifacts. The moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a timeless atmosphere, where each piece tells a story of its own. The vintage paintings, characterized by rich colors and intricate brushwork, evoke a sense of nostalgia and admiration for the artists’ craftsmanship. The ancient art section is equally impressive, showcasing artifacts that span centuries and cultures, such as Roman sculptures. Each exhibit is accompanied by informative plaques that enhance the viewing experience, providing context and insight into the historical significance of the pieces. The museum's layout is inviting, allowing for a leisurely stroll through the galleries, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to share their insights. The Kimbell Museum in Fort Worth made a strong impression on me. The atmosphere is cozy and peaceful, and it makes you want to stay longer and simply enjoy the art. I was especially amazed to see original works by Caravaggio, Michelangelo, and other great masters. It’s a rare chance to experience world-famous masterpieces in person. The exhibition is beautifully curated, everything is high-quality and thoughtfully arranged. This place truly inspires and leaves a pleasant aftertaste. Highly recommend it for a cultural escape

Went for the Myth and Marble rotating exhibit. Also, walked around to see their permanent art collections. Overall, very nice and interesting. Lots of French artists but still some good variety. Preferred the sculptures and pottery over the paintings. Definitely a fun and quick thing to do on an outing. May not recommend bringing young children as the museum staff enforce “quiet and pleasant” atmosphere. Also, not allowed to get too close to each piece not all are roped off with preferred distance for viewing but there is quite a bit of staff stationed in each area. Myth and Marble exhibit was interesting but not as good as I was expecting. A lot of statues not in their original design or were renovated with modern materials to reflect the idea of what it would have looked like when first being made.

Lots of beautiful plants, very hot during the summer, and parking was difficult to find. Enjoyed it for a while but there was also a ton of construction that cut off a lot of the fun and there was no warning about it in the website. Very difficult to navigate as well, prefer the dallas arboretum… it was 5 bucks though!

Walking into this garden feels like stepping into a peaceful corner of Japan. The traditional gate with its tiled roof and wooden beams instantly sets a calm, cultural tone. The craftsmanship is authentic and detailed, giving a sense of timeless elegance. The five-tier pagoda structure stands tall and dignified, surrounded by greenery, adding to the sacred and meditative atmosphere. The garden itself is full of life from delicate pine trees shaping the landscape to the soft purple blooms that brighten the pathways. Sitting by the pond with water lilies floating gracefully creates a moment of pure stillness, perfect for reflection and relaxation. The balance between architecture and nature here is beautiful every angle feels picture-perfect.This garden is not just a visual delight but also a space for inner calm. Whether admiring the flowers, walking under the traditional gate, or quietly enjoying the pond, it gives a refreshing break from the busy outside world. A wonderful place to spend time, connect with nature, and experience cultural beauty.😇😇😇🤩🤩

Mind blown! this place is wonderful. A great place to get exercise and get beautiful pictures. If I lived here I'd be getting a season pass to walk here. We went through most of the gardens. It was all so beautiful. I can only imagine how beautiful it is in fall! You can buy food to feed the koi. There's a ton of them all over. The maps throughout the park need a *you are here sticker because it was a little difficult to read the map. My only complaint is the salesmen booths here and there like renewal by anderson, and home remodel work. Can't we just get away from ads just once. Nope, even in paradise people are selling stuff.

They're are a couple interactive things - a mechanical horse for kids, and one for adults too, and a touchscreen display to design your own horse & boots. Also, the lady at the front desk was super nice and told us a little about the Escaramuzas Charras exhibit they had going on, which was wonderful to see.

Very well maintained and aesthetically pleasing museum with lots of interactive displays. The kids enjoyed all of the history of women and their roles on horsemanship, etc. They have a great collection of items on display, and we loved the art displays too. We enjoyed our experience! We loved learning about the history, enjoyed speaking to the cast who knew all the history. Was a nice walking in a well shaded area. It was just my husband and I this time but we will definitely bring our kiddos next time.

Go to the FortWorth cabin village early so you can avoid the heat and have hardly any waiting time for cabin watching and also to get a good parking spot. Paid $7 (cash/card) for adult ticket entrance and they’ll provide a cabin village map. The overall experience was great! The entrance employees made me laugh and that made the first time experience memorable, specially since I barely found out of this place! The walkthrough was a learning experience with each cabin having a historian explaining the background of the cabin and the rich cultural history of the home. Some cabins do have home items that you can touch and the Wickian cabin (last cabin on the map) does allow for you to experience how to make a candle. The employee in the candle cabin was informative and knowledgeable of the candle making process, you can tell she enjoys working in the village! There are fans in the cabins so you can cool off while you hear the historians speak.

Great experience if you’re interested in the past of early America. Kid friendly, nice atmosphere. Blacksmith took interest in my 10 year old grandson and ask him several questions about his shop.

Trip to lob wood cabin would take you back in time to 1850s . How Texans use to live . Sewing machines of that time , blacksmith shoproom , classrooms of that time, a flour mill operated my a water wheel, ancient candle making , kitchens , dairy farm , bakery etc. It is a museum which one can easily enjoy in an hour. there is also a zoo near the place so it can be a perfect vacation trip spot.

This little village is adorable place to visit. You get to learn about history of Fortworth and see what they did and where they lived. In every little house there is a person who explains you what people used to do and the way they lived. The staff are very kind and approachable, and they make the village an even more beautiful place.

It is a great place to learn about the past. The staff/reenactors are very knowledgeable and make for a great visit. It is very popular with schools, kids love it. I'm an old man now but I remember visiting it as a child in elementary school myself and I loved it. The memories I have are very strong especially of the lady dipping candles. The current lady would have been in school with me, but she remembered too.

Nestled within the bustling Meacham International Airport in Fort Worth, Texas, the Vintage Flying Museum is a must-visit for aviation enthusiasts and history buffs alike. This charming hangar museum showcases an impressive collection of nearly two dozen meticulously restored warplanes, including iconic aircraft from World War II and the Vietnam era. Visitors can explore fascinating aviation artifacts and memorabilia while engaging with friendly volunteers who are passionate about sharing their knowledge.
The Vintage Flying Museum is a hidden gem among the aviation museums in DFW. The museum has a couple of rooms filled with interesting artifacts that give great context to the history of flight, but the real highlight is the large hangar filled with vintage aircraft. Some of the planes are under active restoration, which was really cool to see—it's impressive to witness the care and effort going into preserving these pieces of history. There were some truly unique aircraft that I hadn't seen elsewhere. The docent on duty was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, happy to answer questions and share stories. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

The museum was beautiful, my boyfriend had a lot of fun too. Stormy the cat was an adorable addition to all of the cool artifacts laying around the inside section of the museum. The people were very kind, open, and chatty.

A must stop. Our guide Buster was phenomenal and went above and beyond to share his knowledge as a Vietnam veteran and retired aviation industry employee! The war birds on display were so cool but the hands on approach and personal knowledge of the guides sets the museum apart. My husband and I throughly enjoyed our visit. Don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed!

The Vintage Flying Museum at Meacham Airport is a fantastic place to see airworthy vintage aircraft up close. It has a real working-hangar feel—many planes are still flown, and restoration work happens right in front of you. Highlights include classic warbirds like the T-28 Trojan, Cessna T-37, and Beech 18, and you're allowed to get close, sometimes even inside. The volunteers are passionate and full of stories, making it feel personal and immersive. If you want a living museum where the planes aren’t just on display but actually fly, this is the spot. A hidden gem for aviation lovers in Fort Worth!

The pavilion hosts various events such as outdoor concerts, festivals, and watersports activities along the Trinity River. Visitors can enjoy live music by the river or engage in recreational activities like tubing and paddleboarding.
Hard to navigate but I'm also not from fort worth so no fault to anyone lol. Super pretty place, good trails, and amazing music events!

I attended the 4th of July Festival at Panther Pavilion in downtown Fort Worth. The space was decent in size and handled the crowd fairly well, considering how many people showed up for the event. It was definitely a family-friendly environment, with plenty of families enjoying the day. There were a lot of attendees, so it did get a bit crowded in certain areas, but overall, it was manageable. Staff were present and helped direct people and answer questions, which was appreciated. It wasn’t anything over-the-top, but it was a solid experience for a holiday outing. A good spot if you're looking for a laid-back celebration with community vibe. There were food vendors present only during events. The park normally doesn't have food or water accessible.

I went to the Tacos & Tequila concert. It rained for about 20 min and everyone had to leave. We returned after the rain 25 mins later but it took 2 hours to get back inside. The FOOD WAS OVERPRICED-$14-$18 for ONE BEER. $20 hello shots. $7 for a bottle of water, Three street tacos $20. $78 dollars for 2 beers and two shots of liquor. No Seats so bring your item chairs or blankets.

Panther Island Pavilion: The Swampy, Glorious Kingdom of Rave Mayhem Listen. If Panther Island Pavilion was a person, it’d be that weirdly hot outdoorsy friend who smells vaguely like sunscreen and bass. A little wild, a little muddy, but somehow always knows how to throw an absolutely unhinged yet somehow luxurious party. After Ubbi Dubbi 2025, I’m ready to carve Panther Island’s name into a glitter heart on my hydroflask. Was it flawless? No. Was it iconic? Absolutely. 🏞️ The Venue Vibes ✔️ Location: Smack dab in Fort Worth, but still feels like you stumbled onto a secret bass temple built by chaotic woodland creatures with a lighting budget. ✔️ Scenery: Grass, waterfront views, and skyline silhouettes that hit just right during golden hour. Perfect for group pics, dramatic outfit reveals, and sitting in a field contemplating your life mid-set. ✔️ Layout: Long walks between stages? Yes. But also? Room to breathe, dance, flop dramatically, or sprint toward your friends in slow motion. The space was used smartly and didn’t feel like a human sardine can, which is rare. ✔️ Sound bleed? Minimal. Stage placement actually made sense. Even the VIP viewing decks were vibey little oases. ✔️ Accessibility: Could it be smoother? Always. But water stations were everywhere, signage was readable (bless), and shaded chill zones didn’t feel like afterthoughts. 🚨 Real Talk: The Pain Points ✖️ The Parking Trek: If your rave outfit doesn’t include a pair of endurance socks and a battle strategy, good luck. Getting from your car to the gates was a journey of personal growth. ✖️ Post-festival legs: The venue is flat but expansive — and your calves will remember it. Wear comfy shoes or suffer. ✖️ Food Prices: This isn’t exclusive to Panther Island, but worth noting: I paid $18 for war-crime nachos that tasted like betrayal. BYO snacks if you can (or pregame your wallet with a will). ✖️ Shade: Better than years past, but could always use more “let me hide under this and contemplate existence” spots. 💡 Panther Survival Pro Tips (From Your Favorite Bass Goblin) → Invest in VIP (especially here). The elevated views, cleaner bathrooms, and staff that genuinely want you to live are worth every wristband dollar. → Hydrate or teleport. Panther Island had great water station access this year, so use it. Bring your own reusable cup or hydration pack — save your wallet and your soul. → Plan your exit. Getting out of the parking lot was shockingly smooth, but don’t roll the dice. Scope your exit path before you’re bass-drunk and sun-fried. → Respect the land. This place lets thousands of us weirdos dance under the stars — don’t trash it. Glitter responsibly and pack out what you pack in. 💫 Final Word: Panther Island Pavilion is not perfect, but it's perfect for this. It’s a venue built for sweaty, euphoric chaos—with just enough luxury, space, and soul to elevate the madness into magic. Whether you’re in it for the music, the outfits, or the emotional support port-a-potty mirror in VIP, Panther delivers a festival backdrop that holds the vibe and your glitter-crusted heart. Would I go back? Already packing. 9/10 sparkly swamp stars. Just bring good shoes, a full CamelBak, and a sense of adventure.
Nova Y — Google review
The sound was great, but MAN was the policy to get in STRICT. NO open tabacco or nicotine products were allowed at all. Saw sooo many people who waited in line have to throw away their vapes, cigarettes or dips or get back in line if they opted to put them in their car. Would have been nice to have seen that on the website beforehand.
Kreszentialynne P — Google review
It's an amazing place to spend the 4th of July. Fireworks were amazing. BUT... Be the last one to exit the area and move close to the exit before the fireworks end or be the very last one to exit, especially if you have little ones, seniors, pregnant women or disabled person with you. The crowd will end up in a bottleneck trying to exit through a single water-bridge/pontoon bridge. Kids were crying, people were getting squished, and some got a little freak out because they were claustrophobic. I'm just letting you know and making you picture it. But we had a great time. You can't bring snacks, but there were lots of free snacks there and a variety of food trucks. Corn dogs $10, mini pizzas $15, corn in the cob $5. They will check your backpack.
Rookie M — Google review
Ok for outdoor events but certainly a pain in Texas heat/humidity. Parking is always an issue. Can't trust GPS to take one to the parking line or entrance. Wish they would spray the grass and mow it days prior to events.

Saw Big Diesel here tonight. The venue was easy to get to and parking was not too far away. The sets sounded great because of the natural hill which focuses the music throughout the venue. I would come back here again. Shaq’s Bass All Stars was awesome and the ending firework show was a perfect cap to the night.

Every Friday and Saturday night, you can experience an uproarious show where the performers create hilarious skits based on suggestions from the crowd.
Absolutely hilarious!!! We will definitely be back! Next time we may even buy both shows so we can be there even longer. Only complaint was that we wish the show was longer because it was so freaking funny!

Four Day Weekend in Fort Worth delivered an incredible experience for my first improv show. The performers are truly talented, seamlessly interacting with the audience and creating a personalized, one-of-a-kind performance that felt special for everyone in the room. Their quick wit and ability to engage the crowd made the night both hilarious and memorable. The venue itself has a great vibe, adding to the overall charm of the experience. As someone who appreciates unique and interactive entertainment, this show was a standout. I’m already looking forward to coming back and bringing friends along to enjoy the fun. We really enjoyed the show last night! We’ve seen Four Day Weekend perform 3 different times. Because of their improve technique with post it notes, each performance is totally different. At least three times we said …. They are so clever. They come up with such funny shtick! So fun.

I think they deserve the highest rating available. Quick, witty, silly, and clean minds. I love comedy shows and have seen a lot but nothing like this. Ticket price is very affordable for an extended time with intermission, no minimum purchase requires, free garage parking, great downtown location (hopefully the new one will be also great). I can't wait to try it again because I did not write any word or verbatim, my first time I just laughed so hard that I lost my voice. I also want to try Dallas casting. Great place to go with friends. One small thing, I am an immigrant and I do not get all of it, especially with the song lyrics (loud music) and the insider jokes (lacking background), but still, even the silly outfits and gestures are hilarious enough.

Absolutely hilarious! Second time going and I don’t think I stopped laughing once. I love how they engage the audience. Such talented comedians. Highly recommend this for a girls night or date night or even solo!
Ramya M — Google review
The show and actors were great, very funny and impromptu. I'm glad they are getting a new place to showcase their talent though. The Ridgely theater was awful. The seats didn't have any padding, we sat in the back and there was so much noise from the "closed" bar and slamming of the big door next to the bar on the east side. Workers going in and out constantly. It was hard to hear the show sometimes. I will see the show again at a new location.

This was another great experience! I went as a kid, my kids went as kids and now they have upgraded everything to amazing picture and sound quality, and the seats are perfect! Sad to say the helicopter ride from the past is gone, but it so amazing I can't count it against them.

Great museum for all ages! The exhibits are fun and hands-on, especially the DinoDig and energy lab — perfect for kids. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the staff was really friendly. It felt a little overpriced for the size, but it’s still a solid half-day activity if you're in the Cultural District. Worth a visit, just don’t expect to spend the whole day there.

Good museum, a little smaller than the Perot but a good amount of hands on activities for kids. The theater is amazing though definitely worth it. I suggest watching something realistic in the theater to maximize the experience. Animated items aren't as vivid.

We always have so much fun when we visit! There is so much for kids of all ages to explore discover and learn about. We come twice a year at minimum just for the new things they have out. They have something for absolutely everything kid that goes no matter the age, even my 17 year old loves coming with his little sister. I tend to find Monday the best day to show up. Would recommend you order your tickets online for a faster smoother entry.

Kids really enjoyed it. Ages 6,7,11,12. They had a place for the littles to do hands on activities and a place for the older ones to do hands on activities. They enjoyed those the most. It is much like the Perot Museum in Dallas but with different stuff. If you go to the planetarium, included with ticket, sit opposite of the doors. Otherwise you will be looking over your shoulder.
Daniel L — Google review
A great place for young children. The nearly overwhelmed our visit. The planetarium is awesome and gives perspective. The Jane Goodall exhibition is magnificent and worth the time for anyone interested in her works.

I was a bit disappointed by this museum. Coming from Albuquerque, NM I guess perhaps I had a different expectation of what a "Science and History" museum should be. Our Natural History museum has exhibits on dinosaurs - which was similar but had less specimens, but also much about the history piece, geology, what the area was like when the dinosaurs were living there. But the FW museum felt more like a museum with an agenda. Rather than explain the why around dinosaurs, it had Texas's 2 main (and somewhat controversial) exported resources and history around them. Also the energy piece was out of date.

Recently the speedway has been playing movies to raise funds for Kerr. They ask for a $20 donation. I was there for How to Train your Dragon and the F1 movie. I think this is a phenomenal idea that they need to keep doing! The last time I was there, they sold Andy’s custard. They were practically almost out of all of their ice cream by the end of the night. Next time it would be cool if they invited more food trucks! I really hope the speedway keeps this up! Even if it’s for other charities, it was a ton of fun for family and friends!

Went for the annual ghost meet, never seen so many motorcycles at once in my life. Great music, food, and good vibes all around. Was a parking lot event. As a faculty member at Tarleton State University, I brought a group of Sport Management majors to the Texas Motor Speedway expecting an educational and engaging experience. Unfortunately, the visit was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The staff we encountered were unwelcoming and appeared disinterested, giving the impression that our presence was an inconvenience rather than an opportunity to showcase their facility to future sport industry professionals. They said there were too many events going on to accommodate us, but there wasn’t. And if so, why book us?? The tour itself was poorly organized — it started late, lasted less than 30 minutes, and consisted mostly of looking through a window at the track. We were not permitted to walk on the track or meaningfully engage with any behind-the-scenes operations. They didn’t talk us through anything other than the basic google questions. Considering the cost and the reputation of the venue, the experience fell far short of expectations. The facilities and presentation felt outdated, and there was little to no educational value offered. As an educator, it was disheartening to see such a missed opportunity to inspire students and demonstrate effective sport facility management. Overall, it was not worth the time or resources and unfortunately served as an example of what not to do when hosting academic or professional groups. I gave it one star because zero isn’t an option.

Billy Bob's Texas, located on 2520 Rodeo Plaza in Fort Worth, is a renowned country music honky tonk known for its massive size and lively atmosphere. Boasting 30 bars, two stages, and over 100,000 square feet of space, it has earned the title of the "world's largest honky-tonk." The venue features its own bull-riding arena where visitors can witness live bull riding every Friday and Saturday.
This place is enormous. When they say everything is bigger in Texas, it definitely applies to this venue, There were at least two stages that we found, an Armadillo race venue, pool tables, a mechanical bull and the craziest of all a Pro Bull Rodeo arena all INSIDE this place!! The band was fantastic, not just Country, just a whole mix of pop songs. We were there with a group, and they put together a great spread of BBQ food. Delicious. I would definitely go back 👍

I went to Billy Bob’s tonight and had an unforgettable time! The atmosphere was everything you’d expect from a classic Texas honkytonk—Cowboys and cowgirls, pool tables, good food, and that unmistakable Southern charm! I came for the Eric Gales concert, and WOW—he blew the roof off! The music, the energy, the crowd… it was incredible. The venue is spacious yet cozy, and the sound quality was excellent.

Sold out was insane, shaboozey was great but it was way to packed, everyone was shoulder to shoulder. A poor guy passed out near us. There was lack of security front stage and multiple fights broke out. We left early sadly. Week days are calm dance lessons are great, food is good. I hope in the future they get better air cooling for packed concerts.

Situated in the historic Sundance Square, the Sid Richardson Museum is a small yet captivating museum showcasing an impressive collection of Wild West paintings. Established in 1982 to honor the legacy of Sid Richardson, the museum boasts permanent and special exhibitions featuring artworks by renowned Western artists like Charles M. Russell and Frederic Remington. The museum's mission is to inspire and educate visitors through exceptional works that depict both the allure and realism of the American West.
I did not expect to enjoy this museum, it was great display of western art and some of the drawings told stories of Lewis and Clark expeditions. If you have questions ask the staff they are very friendly and know the art. At the end of my visit I sent postcards which are free of charge. Entry is also free for public. I highly recommend visiting if you are in town. 5 stars!

My partner and I were visited her family as she’s originally from Fort Worth area. We travelled all the way from the UK and stumbled upon this lovely gallery. The lady at the front desk was so so lovely and gave us a fantastic rundown of the artists displayed. She encouraged us to fill out a postcard which they paid for delivery back to the UK which was a nice touch as well. This was my first day/experience of the kind of hospitality that makes me want to move over to Texas. We can’t wait to be back and will definitely pop in again. Thank you to the lady who was in a cast at the time who made us feel so welcome. ☺️

What a cool place of Western Film History. I was just doing a morning walk in downtown Fort Worth and stumbled upon this museum. Not only is admission free but the staff is very kind and knowledgeable about all of the paintings and their historical ties to Hollywood. My absolute favorite was little Ruth's drawing in the kids area, it had me laughing and the Hunter on his horse in Moonlight painting, it is powerful.

A small and compact museum of Western Art that still holds quite a bit of character with numerous paintings that carry a wide variety of different emotions. Admissions is free, staff is polite, and the atmosphere is calming as the museum is not overly busy. Equally as interesting is the history of the museum as it was founded by a sort of successful Texan oil executive. A great quick visit!

An unexpected surprise while walking down town Fort Worth. The museum is generously FREE and features iconic art and sculptures, particularly from Frederic Remington as Sid Richardson was a prominent collector. The museum is excellently managed with friendly staff and worth a visit even if you are not an art fan.

Great museum right in downtown Fort Worth! It was free and the people working there were super friendly. It was really neat to see how art and the early movies went hand in hand!
Rachael B — Google review
Small museum but a great collection of Remington and Russell works! Bibi was so helpful, telling us all about the artists and even taking the time to look up the answer to a specific question I had about them. We were told that the museum displays about one-third of Richardson’s collection at any given time and rotates pieces every year so it would be worth visiting again. I did notice, as others mentioned, that you could hear the security cameras moving as we walked through the exhibit. I understand the need for security with such valuable artwork, but the noise was a bit distracting from the overall experience and somewhat unnerving. Perhaps some quieter cameras? 😊 All in all, I would highly recommend visiting this museum, and you can’t beat the free admission!

The CR Smith Museum, named after the pioneering CEO of American Airlines, Cyrus Rowlett Smith, is a captivating destination for aviation enthusiasts and history buffs alike. Located conveniently near DFW International Airport in Fort Worth, Texas, this museum showcases the rich legacy of American Airlines and the broader air travel industry. Visitors can explore an impressive array of artifacts and archival materials that chronicle the evolution of commercial aviation.
A nice and informative and entertaining museum for all ages. There is interactive things to do for kids and teens. There is a theater. We found it enjoyable and informative of American Airlines history as a new employee. I am proud.!!

As American Airlines is my favourite airline. We had to visit the museum while in Fort Worth. The history of the airline was interesting. The 9/11 section was very moving.

Not a huge museum, but has lots of neat exhibits and artifacts. I really like the old tripod airplane than you can go inside and poke around. I was surprised how tricky it was to walk around due to the slant. There is also a 737 cockpit you can sit in, simulators to fly, and even a baggage hold where you can see how good a packing job you can do. There is also a well-air conditioned movie theater giving an overview of American Airlines' history and culture. Only tricky part is catching the museum when it's open so check operating hours before visiting.

Enjoyed going to this museum and seeing the airplanes upclose. I especially enjoyed be able to sit in a Super 80 cockpit and hearing the planes talk. They have a Lego expo going on right now that is really neat to see.

This is the place to go if you love aviation, or you just want to go somewhere and have fun, I love this museum, it has a real MD-80 plane cabin you can take a look inside, the flight simulator is something you should try also! Also there is a DC3 to take a look and it's great. And the history of aviation is just so interesting I spent at least an hour exploring the museum.

This museum is small, with an over priced entry fee, it is designed for school aged children, hands on interactive exhibits. You will go once but never go twice…. Save your money and forget about going, everything in the store is also over priced also….

I last went to this museum about twenty years ago. Admission is 12 dollars to enter, payable at the gift shop. I did not notice a lot of visitors that were present were American Airlines employees in corporate indoctrination tours. (I don't mean indoctrination in its commonly held negative sense. It is great to have a place to show a company's history and background.) The layout remained essentially the same, but I didn't realize the expansion of the children's attractions to the existing foot print. I swore there more mannequins and artifacts on display and an airport layout right behind the engine cutaway. Also missing in the front entrance was the display of C.R. Smith's medals and accolades. The rump of his exhibit was placed in a single display case by the DC-3. On the other hand, weighing myself in numbers of chickens was quite entertaining. The grounds were well maintained, although in need of a update. The theater is such a example. The retired beige seating dating back to the 1980's reminded me how roomy seating was back then. They also showed a what they referred to as "vintage" a 1990's film about the story of the airline. Both are sad reminders of how of how the American air travel experience has declined. For the main attraction, the DC-3 was majestic as always. Although is quite a small plane, its presence cannot be denied. Access to the aircraft is to the back. You can literally smell the leather and metal inside the aircraft. It is definitely one should immerse oneself in and feel the history. The museum is worth a visit, I just wish they found room to add back some the adult focused exhibits back in. They do have the room to do so.

The CR Smith Museum offers a thoroughly impressive and engaging experience for anyone interested in aviation. The museum is very well-done, brilliantly capturing the essence and evolution of American Airlines, along with the broader history of aviation. One of the charming aspects of the museum is its attention to detail. A notable example is the theater seating, which consists of old airplane first-class seats. This unique touch not only adds character to the museum but also enhances the immersive experience, making visitors feel like they're part of aviation history. The museum is also incredibly family-friendly, with a variety of exhibits specifically designed for children. The play zone and interactive activities are fantastic for keeping younger visitors entertained while they learn. It's an excellent way to introduce kids to the world of aviation in an engaging and fun manner. For aviation enthusiasts, the museum's highlight is undoubtedly the extensive history of American Airlines. The exhibits chronicle the airline's journey through the years, offering a fascinating glimpse into how the aviation industry has evolved over time. This educational aspect is both informative and captivating, appealing to visitors of all ages. Additionally, the museum offers hands-on activities that are a real treat. Visitors have the unique opportunity to sit in an actual MD-80 cockpit, providing a rare behind-the-scenes look at the pilot's world. The computerized flight simulator is another interactive highlight, offering a taste of what it's like to fly an aircraft. These hands-on experiences are not only enjoyable but also incredibly educational. In conclusion, the CR Smith Museum is a remarkable destination that combines education, history, and fun in a memorable way. Whether you're an aviation buff, a history enthusiast, or just looking for a family-friendly outing, this museum is a great choice. Its mix of interactive exhibits, historical insights, and engaging activities make it a standout attraction.

We just got our membership (75 for the year - which equals out to be 6 visits for 2 people.) and we're already hook to going often since we live so close. Always a great place for hiking. Be sure to bring water, sunscreen, and if going into shady areas in the morning, bug spray. Due to flooding, many of the trails are closed right now. We parked in P2 and hiked for almost 2 hours. Trails had people, but not too many. We took our dog who loved it. The days qre getting very hit in the afternoon. Many of the trails are in the sun.

Umbra Winery Market Deli & Gifts is a vibrant tasting room that offers a selection of house-label and imported wines, along with tapas, in an elegant setting. The establishment provides a chic atmosphere for adults to enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the festive decorations. While it may not be suitable for large groups, there are tables available for smaller gatherings. Many patrons opt for wine flights to sample multiple varieties.
Came here with my wife. The decor is cool and the wine is good. We ordered the cheese plate and the bruschetta. Both were delicious! Our server John and the rest of the staff were very nice. 10/5/18 We are back in Grapevine and after stopping in some of the wineries, we ended up back at Umbra. We each ordered a flight of the red wine which consisted of Red Velvet, Red Fusion, and Cabernet Sauvignon. We also went with our favorites, the roasted tomato and pesto bruschetta and the gourmet cheese board. Both were excellent compliments to the wine. With the beautiful decor, friendly service, and great food and wine this is our go to spot when visiting Grapevine.

If you're in town looking at the Christmas decorations and taking pictures, this is the perfect place for adults to stop and have a glass of wine! It's not too big, so I don't recommend large groups, but there are two tables meant for groups. One fits six and you can add more chairs, but our group opted for the cool booth hangout in the back. Not sure if they use indoor lights year round, but it was cute and festive inside! Many of our group opted for wine flights since we could try multiple wines. The umbra red flight had a nice variety. They recommended drinking from left to right and I enjoyed the first two (umbra red fusion and umbra cabernet sauvignon) but I did not like the mulled wine. It tasted watered down compared to most mulled wines. We also ordered the hot chocolate and that was delicious! Not sure what type of chocolate they use, but it was chocolatey and silky- perfect for a cool day. Overall, a fun time with a group of friends and some good wines. They also have mimosas on the weekend. A $20 carafe and I believe it was $2 refills.

Loved this place. I thought it would be too snobby, but we were promptly greeted and provided top notch service. The place was standing room only but it didn't stop the servers from being attentive. I had a flight called the sweeter side of wines from Italy and hubz had a flight of Umbra reds including a mulled wine. Hubz said he get the mulled wine any day. I'd get the last wine in my flight too...perfect for my tastes. The ambiance was nice but maybe music would've been nice or maybe I just couldn't hear it? Not much room for intimacy either...you're either at the cool bar or in the middle of the room...but it's a fun gathering place for sure!!

Nestled in the heart of Fort Worth, Circle Theatre is a charming playhouse that specializes in contemporary theater, offering an intimate atmosphere for its audiences. Known for showcasing innovative performances, this venue has been a staple of the local arts scene for over four decades. Currently featuring 'Pressure Makes Diamonds,' an original production directed by Monique Midgette and starring Denise Lee, the theatre promises to captivate with soulful music and poignant themes about life’s challenges mirrored through diamonds.
If you don’t have your tickets for “A Strange Loop,” you better run to get them! This musical was excellent, and the cast was so talented. Immediately with the first song, it pulled me in and let me know this was going to be an entertaining and enjoyable experience. I laughed a lot, but there were moments when I wanted to jump out of my seat and hug the main character, Usher. In many plays there is one actor that stands out, but in this show they were all phenomenally talented - all fantastic singers, but also actors who could channel many different emotional facets. Best show of the year for Circle Theatre.

No parking - had to walk, alone, in the dark, after the show, 5 blocks to my car. Theatre is underground, so one must choose between an elevator somewhere not immediately visually obvious OR a flight of steps so steep that a fall will kill you (remember the film, "The Bad Seed"?) Once inside, the people are terribly nice, but you'll need booze after getting into the theatre. Thankfully, there are both a lovely bar AND clean restrooms. I have mixed feelings about the presentation I saw (billed as a punk rock "Tartuffe") but the keyboard player had an eagle eye, exquisite timing and skill, all necessary to save the show. Then I had to walk back to my car....
Cystoqueen — Google review
I've been going to the Circle on and off for close to 3 decades. For years, we enjoyed quality contemporary theater in an intimate 3/4 surround stage. We used to be season ticket holders and enjoyed all kinds of shows. But, then it seemed every show came across as Anti-Christian. We finally stopped going. We returned after the pandemic, and they're one of those businesses that were very strict about wearing masks and being vaxxed (people can disagree, but most evidence shows masks and vaxxes hurt more people than Covid-19-I believe businesses have the right to set any policy they like, but I also believe in my right to be a client or not as well). We stopped going again but recently returned to the amazing production of "Ain't Misbehavin," where they turned the lobby into a Harlem revival club, which was creative and fun! Great talent! Looks like the old Circle might be back? We'll continue to pick and choose individual shows there for now and hope the programming remains unique and diverse. We'd love to return as season ticket holders (love to have shows to look forward to).

Every show I’ve seen at Circle has been beyond enjoyable and moving. I’ve been lucky to see almost every show this season and they truly never miss, but this past one was one of my all-time favorites! Tartuffe was the most fun I’ve had at a night at the theatre in I don’t know how long. The over-the-top physical comedy along with the witty dialogue kept me engaged the entire 90 minutes of the performance and it was easily one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen.

Fort Worth Stockyards Station is a large historic district with an Old West atmosphere, offering tours, entertainment, shops, and restaurants. The area features authentic Western fashions, antiques, art, and souvenirs in historic quarters. Visitors can explore 35 stores offering typical Texas treasures and souvenirs such as hand-crafted leather saddles, cowboy hats for adults and kids, vintage-style candy, honey, and wine.
A nice area that gives Texas vibe! The cattle drive happens twice a day, and is pretty cool to watch! They have their long horn cows walk down the street with a few folks on horses guiding. They have a cooling barn for those who need to hide from the heat, and have many small stores along the way. They had two photo spots where you can take pictures with a cow, and can even sit on it for a photo. 10 dollars. Not the cheapest. They have a 1 hour long tour available a few times a day (pay and sign up online). The petting zoo is super worth it for those who love interacting with animals.

Do everything here, everything is recommended. Travel to another time. Purchase tickets to go on a railroad trip, while it isn't very long it will absolutely take you to another place mentally. So worth doing. Take lots of pictures, very memorable time. Don't forget the souvenirs.

Visiting the Fort Worth Stockyards feels like stepping back in time to the Old West. The atmosphere is authentic, lively, and full of history. Walking down the brick-paved streets surrounded by western shops, saloons, and live music makes the experience unforgettable. The highlight is definitely the twice-daily cattle drive, where real Texas longhorns parade through the street — something you won’t see anywhere else. The Stockyards Championship Rodeo is another must, full of excitement, skill, and energy. There’s plenty for everyone: great restaurants serving mouthwatering Texas BBQ and steaks, live country music, museums, shops, and even opportunities to ride horses. At night, the area comes alive with dance halls and bars, giving it a fun western nightlife vibe. Yes, it can be a bit touristy, but that’s part of the charm. The Stockyards capture the cowboy spirit of Texas in a way that’s both entertaining and authentic. Whether you’re visiting from out of state or you’re a local, this is a must-see destination in Fort Worth.

The Fort Worth Stockyards Station is such a unique and fun place to visit! The atmosphere is full of Western charm, with great shops, good food, and a real Texas vibe. There’s so much to see and experience—from live shows to the famous cattle drive. It’s a great spot for families, tourists, or anyone wanting to soak in some authentic cowboy culture. The Fort Worth Stockyards is truly one of the most iconic spots in Texas. It perfectly captures the old Western spirit with its historic buildings, live cattle drives, rodeo shows, and rustic charm. Walking down the brick-paved streets feels like stepping back in time, yet the area is full of lively restaurants, bars, and shops that make it exciting for everyone. The longhorn cattle drive twice a day is a must-see — short but very authentic. The rodeo shows are high energy and give you a taste of true cowboy culture. There’s also great live country music at night, so the fun continues well past sunset. Whether you’re into history, food, nightlife, or just want a unique Texas experience, the Stockyards has something for you. It’s touristy, yes, but in the best way possible. Highly recommend spending at least half a day here to really soak it in.

The Grapevine Vintage Railroad is a popular destination for families, offering rides on historic rail lines using 1920s coaches. The attraction also features seasonally themed excursions that are well organized and enjoyable. Visitors can expect professional and helpful staff who provide plenty of entertainment options to make the most of their visit. While food options may be limited, visitors can spend ample time exploring the area and getting value for their money.
A great value for the money. 6 hours of entertainment for under $30. The train and cars are fantastic! Vintage (100 years old) but in great shape. During the summer months choose an air conditioned car. Not much more money. The view along the way isn’t much to brag about, but they have a team of entertainers who do a fantastic job making the time pass. You spend 2 hours at the Ft. Worth Stockyards (the perfect amount of time). The timing works out for you to see the longhorns parade through the street. This train ride is the real deal! You should go.
Lane C — Google review
I’ve done two different ride experiences with them, and both were cute. This is an activity that allows you to experience vintage trains, do something different, and enjoy the ride. They ride on tracks used by other working trains, so you may have to stop and wait sometimes - that’s not a big deal, though, because you’re still on the train! 🙂 I recommend the 45 minute ride for families with small children - it’s just enough time for the fun experience without becoming monotonous for them. If you want an activity that’s going to last about half a day, get the ride from Grapevine that drops you off at the Stockyards for a couple of hours. In general, it’s a cute thing to do with visiting family and friends.

Wowza!😯 This is great fun! It might be the best of the train rides I've had so far. 🙌🏻 The cars are beautifully it restored.👨🏻‍🔧 There is entertainment on board.🎭 Also food and drinks, and a bar! It's a long train ride! Unlike some of the smaller scenic railroads I've been on this train shares tracks with the commuter and freight trains. The price is reasonable, the food and drink on board is reasonably priced too. This is nice because when you get to the yesteryear of the stockades,🤠 reasonable pricing is the thing of the past....🤑😣🫢

It's been a few years since we've taken this Train it was an incredible journey then and now. We had company in from out of state and we wanteted to do something special. However if you are looking for a quick trip down to Fort Worth and back to Grapevine. it's not so fast. Be prepared for a potentially longer yet rewarding journey to Fort Worth it used to be like 45 minutes now there's several stops because they are sharing that train track. It's a truly uplifting change of pace to bring out-of-town guests to do something extraordinary such as ride this vintage train. The Vintage train hires actors who reenact a train robbery with humor. It is really a wonderful comfortable way to see the city sights and let someone else do the driving. From Grapevine to Fort Worth we were able to see the Stockyards and the cattle run. We also saw one reenactment of a gunfight. It was definitely reminiscent of the old west of the turn of the century.

Hi! I was part of the delayed excursion Sunday, and I gotta say- I still loved it! These folks really do try their best to keep things running smoothly, even with dispatch seeing incorrect signals. 27 other trains were also backed up the same day ours was! Thank you grapevine railroad crew!! This railroad excursion is fun, but might be a little iffy for those with very little children- the train noises are loud at times, and there are lights in each cabin that change colors quickly (they’re very small, a strip toward the roof). You’re encouraged to remain seated, so if your kiddos are runners, this might be hard! Sensory wise, it’s a pretty calm experience and there’s even little skits thrown into your journey. Overall, prepare in case of delays (because to my knowledge freight trains take higher priority in dispatch, and that’s what causes it? Could be wrong!), try to keep away from fixed reservations in the Stockyards in case of said delays. There are restrooms onboard the train, snacks, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages as well. Know before you go, too: the first class cars have AC, coach does not. It’s a very darling attraction with a hard working crew.

A Fun and Nostalgic Ride with a Wild West Twist! The Grapevine Vintage Railroad is an unforgettable experience! From the moment you step into the beautifully restored train cars, you’re immersed in a journey through time. The vintage interiors, scenic ride, and friendly staff make it perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking for a fun day out. The best part? They had a live “train robbery” performance during the ride, complete with actors, cowboy hats, and a playful storyline. It was absolutely entertaining and added a fun Wild West twist to the whole trip—kids and adults alike were loving it! The journey from Grapevine to the Fort Worth Stockyards was smooth and scenic, with lots of great photo opportunities and a chance to explore the Stockyards before heading back. Highlights: 🚂 Vintage train cars with old-school charm 🤠 Live “train robbery” skit—super fun and interactive 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family-friendly & great staff 📸 Tons of photo ops and memories Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area—this is a classic Texas experience you don’t want to miss!

Review: Grapevine Vintage Railroad to the Fort Worth Stockyards Our experience on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad was a memorable one, with both highs and a few small hiccups. We started off with about a 45-minute late departure, but the staff made up for it by offering free refreshments, which was a nice gesture. The train itself runs at a slow pace, and honestly, there isn’t too much scenery to see along the way. That said, my 3-year-old grandson—who is completely obsessed with trains—absolutely loved every second of it, which made the ride more than worth it. One of the highlights was the cast of characters, who stayed in role from the waiting area in Grapevine all the way through the ride. They interacted with guests and kept things fun and lighthearted, making the experience feel more immersive. Onboard, they even served beer and wine, which was a pleasant surprise. When we arrived at the Stockyards, the timing worked out perfectly—we got there just in time for the cattle roundup. Even though we left late, the railway gave us our full two hours at the Stockyards, which showed real thoughtfulness. The train ride back departed and arrived right on time. The only negative note came on the return trip, where a sewage odor from the restroom in our first-class car was noticeable. The crew did their best to manage it by spraying it down, which helped some, but it was still unpleasant. Thankfully, the cast continued entertaining us the whole way back, keeping the mood upbeat. A few tips for future riders: • Legroom is tight. If you’re tall, you’ll want to spread out or buy two rows and sit diagonally (cadi-cornered). Sitting 3–4 adults knee-to-knee in a row isn’t very comfortable. • Bring snacks and entertainment for little ones, but don’t overdo it—time goes by faster than you think. • You have the option of taking the train one way and Ubering back if that works better for your plans. Overall, for my group of four, it was a great experience. Despite some negative reviews I’ve seen online, I found it well worth the trip. It’s a fun outing for families, a group of friends, or even a date, and my grandson’s excitement made it especially memorable.

If you're looking for a delightful family outing, the Forest Park Miniature Railroad is an enchanting choice that has been captivating visitors since 1959. This charming train ride offers a scenic five-mile round trip journey around the picturesque Trinity Park and Fort Worth Zoo area. The adventure begins at the Forest Park Depot and takes approximately forty minutes, with a stop at Trinity Parks Depot where you can hop on or off as you please.
Fun ride for kids of all ages! They have recently added seat belts. The ride crosses the Trinity river and had a snack stop. It's about an hour ride with trains leaving at the top of the hour. Friendly staff and good ride passes two kids parks and a duck pond. You may also see the grapevine train go across the raised trestle bridge if you go on the Saturday. Good luck

The Forest Park Miniature Train was such a fun surprise! 🚂 Perfect for kids and adults, this ride is a mix of adventure and relaxation. The train is colorful, smooth, and even has seat belts. It crosses the Trinity River, passes two kids’ parks and a duck pond. We went on a cloudy weekday, so basically had the train all to ourselves. About halfway through, there’s a 5-10 minute stop where you can grab a snack or stretch your legs before continuing the journey. The whole ride lasts around 40 minutes, with trains leaving at the top of each hour. The staff and conductor were super friendly, making the experience feel extra special. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for kids (with a $2 card surcharge), and honestly, it’s worth every penny for the smiles and memories. Highly recommend if you’re in the Fort Worth area!

My son is 3 years old this is the first time he had ever been on a train my grandson is two and he was also on the train both of the boys absolutely loved it it was slow enough to enjoy but fast enough for them not to get bored. The scenery was great I love that it is an hour-long ride it is worth the money. You do have to go down by the zoo to pay for the tickets for the train at a kiosk but it was quick and easy and I really enjoyed this this was the very first time I've ever ridden this train.

The Forest Park Miniature Train was such a fun surprise! We’ve done the one at Zilker Park in Austin, but this one was honestly even better. 🚂 The ride lasts about 30 minutes, with a quick 20-minute stop halfway through to grab some snacks or stretch your legs. Perfect for all ages—kids and adults alike will enjoy the scenic route. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for kids, with a $2 card surcharge. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the Fort Worth area! -Mr.S Travel Quest

We had the BEST time on the Trinity Forest Park train ride! The train was colorful, the ride was smooth, and we felt like real adventurers chugging through the trees! The conductor was super friendly and even waved to us as we pulled out of the station. We saw birds, butterflies, and lots of pretty nature along the way. It was the perfect mix of relaxing and exciting and great for kids AND grown-ups! If you’re looking for something fun to do with the family, hop on this train! You won’t stop smiling.

A joyful experience for family. A little short distance (45 minutes) in all, but some fresh air is nice to inhale.

Great ride for adults and kids ! Seatbelts for kids. A must ride if you are in the area. Takes credit or debit or even cash but does not make change.
