Mount Etna, also known as Mungibeddu, is a majestic active volcano in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It stands tall behind the city of Catania and offers a diverse range of landscapes, from urban areas to picturesque villages and snow-covered slopes. The frequent eruptions of this sleeping giant leave visitors in awe. Nearby attractions include the coastal town of Giardini Naxos, the Greco-Roman Amphitheatre with Mt.
You definitely should go up with cable car and 4x4 bus. Otherwise you’ll miss a lot! It’s really easy hiking and you wouldn’t spend much calories at all, and it’s easy for elderly people as well. Don’t stay down at two thousand something meters field. Go up!
Abdumavlon R — Google review
It's a good drive 3/4 of the way up then cable car then guided tour. We didn't go further up as a we were in a thunder rain cloud when we got up there so decided to go back as viability was poor. Recommend you go when the weather is good and clear which I am assured it normally is
Gary H — Google review
A must if you’re in Catania! Warm clothes, windbreaker and long pants are recommended for mid October visit. Be aware of the terrain, the climb will get your shoes and clothes ashy, especially descending where there’s “volcanic sand”
Darren T — Google review
Absolutely MUST BE in SICILY! The Iconic Etna Volcano is a place definitely worth visiting. You can take a hike but it's also accessible for everyone by cable car to the high of 2500m, then you can take 4x4 bus to about 2800m. From there rest of the trip have to be done by foot. But views are the reward! Especially when you can look at the clouds below where you are. Best consider going in good weather condition and good visibility to get best of it!
Daniel B — Google review
A must do if here! We only went to 2,500 but you can get a bus to 3000 ! Great views and getting cable car up makes it so much easier. Tip don’t wear white sneakers (trainers). Also check weather as can get cold! If we had longer we would have gone to top. Plenty of parking.
Ben C — Google review
Spectacular! Tip; wear a hoody, and maybe also a scarf even, so that you can cover most of your head and face, as there can be very strong winds and the lava sand is quite sharp. Trip to the top is definitely worth it, spectacular views!!

An extraordinary experience in a truly unique place. Our guide, Dario Lo Scavo, proved to be a top-class professional – highly knowledgeable, passionate, and able to present information in an engaging and accessible way. The organization of the tour was flawless, combining strong emotions with valuable insights and unforgettable impressions. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to fully discover the beauty and power of Mount Etna.
Szymon — Google review
Pictures don’t do justice! You’ll have to go on one or the tours to visit Mt Etna to view and experience this iconic volcanoes! At the end of the tour we were taken to an area to view one of the most incredible sunsets! Mount Etna is a dominant feature of northeastern Sicily and the highest active volcano in Europe, reaching an elevation of around 10,900 feet (3,320 meters), although its height can fluctuate due to eruptions.

Stromboli is an active volcano known for its black lava beaches and guided climbs to the summit crater at night. The Cappero Restaurant offers stunning views of Sicily, with a menu that showcases Sicilian tradition interpreted by Chef Giuseppe Biuso. The open kitchen allows diners to observe the synchronized work of the kitchen brigade. Sicily itself is a region rich in art, culture, history, and breathtaking landscapes, including 3 active volcanoes - Mt.
Visiting Stromboli has always been one of my dreams, especially after seeing Etna and feeling like I needed more of that raw volcanic energy. Stromboli did not disappoint. Rising from the sea like a massive smoking giant, or honestly, like a giant volcanic pimple floating in the water, it looks both wild and fascinating. It does erupt every few minutes, which is an incredible sight, even if the marketing videos make it look more dramatic than it is in reality. Still, watching those bursts of fire against the dark sky is something unforgettable. There is something almost hypnotic about the constant smoke drifting from the crater and the contrast between the black volcanic rock and the deep blue sea. For me it was a dream come true, and seeing it up close felt even better than I imagined. It is raw, untamed and absolutely worth the trip.
Paweł B — Google review
Stromboli will appeal to nature enthusiasts who enjoy the raw beauty of an active volcanic island and are fascinated by geology and natural phenomena. However, it’s not for everyone. I didn’t enjoy the time spent waiting on the island with little to do and the lack of amenities. The mosquitoes were unbearable, and the language barrier on the boat tour made the experience even more challenging. If you prefer comfort and a more dynamic experience, this may not be the best fit.
Lynne S — Google review
We took the 5 pm hike to the volcano. It was a 9 km hike with steep sections so be prepared for a 4 hour hike with one hour for viewing. The company provided helmets and headlamps as the return trip was in the dark. It was an amazing hike, but I thought our group was way too large for one guide. There were several other groups out hiking that evening.
Anne B — Google review
June 2023. Took a trip to Stromboli and loved it. If you’re nearby then take an organised trip. You can spend some time in one of the villages and get to see the volcano. Even got to see some small eruptions. What’s not to love.
Kevin B — Google review
Stromboli, one of earth’s thriving active volcano and one of the Aeolian islands in Italy, is an absolute gem that left me in awe. The towering volcano, also known as the "Lighthouse of the Mediterranean," provides a breathtaking backdrop that is both impressive and humbling. As the sun sets, the volcano comes to life with spectacular eruptions, casting an enchanting glow over the island. The picturesque villages of San Vincenzo and San Bartolo offer a glimpse into the island's rich history and vibrant culture. For adventure enthusiasts, a hike to the summit of the volcano is an unforgettable experience, providing panoramic views that are simply breathtaking. Stromboli is a hidden paradise that promises a perfect blend of natural wonders, tranquility, and authentic Italian charm. It's a must-visit destination for those seeking an unforgettable island getaway.
Sougata B — Google review
We enjoyed a boat trip from Salina island to Stromboli to watch the lave eruptions after sunset. Un fortunately cloud cover over just the top of Stromboli meant we couldn't see anything. Boat trip was nice and we had a couple of swims and a short stop at Panarea. There is nothing much at Stromboli port and poor choices for dinner, however the scenery on the trip is spectacular.
Terry F — Google review
Simply stunning! It's an active volcano, which constantly emits bursts of molten lava, creating a mesmerizing natural spectacle. The island's rugged beauty and unique geology make it a haven for adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts.Stromboli offers a truly unforgettable experience. We went with Tarnav minicrociera.
Jose T — Google review
It was a great trip to Stromboli to see one of the few active volcanoes in the World. I shuttled from Tropea with my friend Doriyana for an enjoyable boat ride. The journey took 90 minutes, the boat was comfortable and the sea very calm. Upon arrival in San Vincenzo we had 3 hours to walk around the small town and enjoy some excellent food. We found the locals to be very friendly but you need to be careful of their crazy road use on scooters and small trucks. Above us the volcano was rumbling away with smoke bellowing from the top, which the locals just completely ignored. At 1900 we departed the island and went out to the opposite side of the volcano and witnessed the most amazing natural light show ever. The volcano was spewing hot lava in to the night sky and it's a spectacle I will never forget.

An amazing natural park with water on both sides. Lots of places to walk, a few restaurants, a real gem for the city. How can you not give this five stars?

The cape offers lots of nature and some historical ruins. It’s great do disconnect from the hassles of everyday life and connect with nature.

Wonderful view on the sea. It's a pity that it's not enhanced and promoted enough. Unfortunately, all around the place, there's garbage and unkempt vegetation. We met also the rabbits living in there!

A short walk will lead you to the place with an amazing view on the area and the islands. If you go down the stairs, you will find one natural pool with tranparant waters. It is a charming place where you can take a bath or swim. We regret we did not know about it before otherwise we would have brought our swimming suits too!

Riserva Naturale Cavagrande del Cassibile is a stunning nature reserve in southeast Sicily, offering fantastic trails and a limestone-covered canyon carved by the Cassibile river. Hikers can embark on a downhill trek to Laghetti di Cavagrande, a natural pool nestled within the valley. The hour-long hike downwards requires sturdy hiking boots due to slippery terrain, but rewards with sightings of colorful butterflies and silvery lizards.
Beautiful place, definitely worth the little hike. Parking is at the top at the bar, we paid 4 eur, plus 2 eur to enter the route down. We were in second half of May on a sunny Monday, the weather was perfect, not so many people, the water was refreshing, you can swim around the pools or sit under the little waterfall, the scenery is stunning. In a comfortable pace we were up in 40 minutes, much better than we expected.
Gergely F — Google review
Beautiful blue pools and plenty of space to swim or sit on the edge. Be ready for the hike down and the hike back up is intense. Bring plenty of water even if it’s not a hot day. Wouldn’t recommend if you have injuries due to the long hike.
Markus J — Google review
Great place. The drive there is already nice, especially the last few hundred meters. The walk down was nice and once arrived stunning place. Great swimming and views. Don’t forget to take enough water, some food and wear good walking shoes. The walk up is pretty tough, especially in full sun.
Guus K — Google review
We arrived late morning. Originally tried using Apple Maps to get here, but it took us to the wrong spot. It’s beautiful hike down, make sure you have hiking boots. Bring a towel and swim suet as well. The pools at the bottom are beautiful. The climb back up is hard and you will need lots of water and rests.
Billie K — Google review
Beautiful place. It is very nice and easy hike. The natural pools are really nice and clean, but a bit cold for my taste.
Markéta V — Google review
Bit of a walk, 40 mins via route B, winding slope. 50 mins back up via route A, a lot and I mean a lot of steps but lots of shade as well
Paulo N — Google review
Fantastic walk to the lagoons. A few options for walking routes from the ticket desk which are clearly signposted during the walk. €2 each to enter and we paid €4 to park at the nearby car park.

Nature preserve
Riserva Naturale Orientata dello Zingaro is a stunning natural reserve in Sicily, known for its pristine coastline and crystal-clear waters. It's perfect for swimming and exploring the hidden beaches along the coast. Visitors are advised to arrive early, wear comfortable shoes for walking, bring water and food as amenities are limited. Sun umbrellas are not allowed on the beaches, so it's important to be prepared with sun protection.
Zingaro Nature Reserve is absolutely stunning! The views are breathtaking, and the beaches are beautiful. It's a perfect spot for snorkeling with plenty of fish, caves, and an overall fantastic experience for exploration. Make sure to bring a lot of water as there's some moderately challenging trekking required. Note that sun-umbrellas aren't allowed in the park. The entrance fee is €5 for adults, which is well worth it. Parking: €9-10. Highly recommend visiting!
Ireneusz S — Google review
Amazing place!!! Unfortunately we were her just for a few hours, but it completely deserves a whole day, even two if you love exploring nature. There is an entrance fee, but it is completely worth it. There are also museums inside and the place is really well maintained. You also get a map at the entrance.
Elena M — Google review
Absolutely stunning. We took the coastal path which offers magnificent views of the coast and gives you access to some really beautiful beaches. The path is only 7km long but if you stop on the beaches and take pictures along the way it can easily take up to 3h (one way). We did the hike in mid May and despite temperature only being around 20°C it was hot, so I can not imagine doing the hike in the summer (there is very little shade)😅 Bring enough water and snacks🙈 You can start the hike at the southern entrance (near Scopello) or northern entrance (near San Vito lo capo).
Iva D — Google review
The most breathtaking views from this hike. It’s so well taken care of and a pleasure to hike, we loved jumping to swim along the way to help cool down. The free parking gets filled quickly on a holiday, so come early!
Ashley — Google review
Superb. Just superb. One of the best hikes ever. It is not so easy to walk the 7kms and back. Under the sun. But what amazing beauty.
Sylvia K — Google review
It is a wonderful place. We walked through the entire reserve, stopping at beaches along the way. I recommend it if you get to this area. It is a unique experience!
Georgiana S — Google review
The most beautiful place we have seen during our week in Sicily. We arrived late (midday), yet we were still able to park (although bit further on the road). The hike was demanding in high heat, but we made it to three calas in the end - absolutely amazing, the best beaches in Sicily! There was a kiosk before the entrance so if you come unprepared, be sure to buy enough water and food as there is no other shop inside the park.
Jan Š — Google review
Beautiful place. I recommend going through the path in the mountain (empty in october, early morning, 7am, not too hard if you're in shape, if youre not much of a hiker it might be hard) and finishing with an easy hike to cool down at the beach (crowdy). Keep in mind there is barely a shade on the paths, check temperatures, take good shoes, water, better go early morning if you want to hike.

Rocca di Cefalù, also known as u castieddu, is a prominent cliff rising 268 meters above the charming town of Cefalù on the Tyrrhenian coast. This fortified mountain top offers breathtaking coastal views and is home to the ruins of a Norman castle. The Rocca's base forms a triangular shape with steep ridges facing east, west, and south, making it an important landmark for navigation along the coast.
Scenic view from the observation deck. You can get up there fairly quickly and it’s not too difficult. I recommend visiting. Entrance is 5 €
Aleksandra K — Google review
Cefalù is a very interesting and beautiful place to visit in Sicily. It has a rich historical and cultural atmosphere, with plenty to see and discover. The beach is lovely for swimming and relaxing, and the old town with its narrow streets and charming architecture is a joy to explore. Everywhere you walk, you can feel the unique character of the city. From the stunning cathedral to the picturesque little corners and views. A perfect mix of history, culture, and seaside charm. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Sicily!
Freeman — Google review
The entrance is 5€ Exceptional views from the seeing point, near the cross. You can also go up to the castle ruins, but the views aren’t as great.
Daniel G — Google review
Highly recommended! Just remember it’s quite a hike and wear your most comfortable shoes. It’s a long walk so take some food and lots of water. It’s all worth it. The earlier you will climb the better because of the heat. The views are spectacular!
Dagmara B — Google review
As soon as you add Cefalù to your Sicily itinerary, make sure Rocca di Cefalù is on the list — you won’t be disappointed, but you will regret skipping it. The site is impressive, packed with stunning vistas and incredible backdrops for photos. We spent about three hours exploring, and if it’s going to be a warm day, an early start is definitely the way to go. Entry was very inexpensive, and seniors should take advantage of the discounted rate. Overall, an absolute must-see and one of the highlights of the trip. Saluti
Frank F — Google review
A great place to visit with beautiful views in every direction. It was a hot day when we went so I almost stopped after getting as far as the temple, but decided in the end to carry on up to the ruins of the castle and the views of the coastline to the East made it so worth it. The ticket is 5 euros and you can pay by card at the machine at the entrance. Keep the ticket as you need to scan it to get out again! There's a little cafe and toilet at the entrance, but nothing after that, so be prepared - definitely take water with you if it's hot as some parts of the path have no shade. It's also very dusty, so I'd recommend closed shoes that you don't mind getting a bit dirty.
Ella C — Google review
The hike up to the top is doable, but preferably to be done in the morning, as the trail has some shade during the hours before noon. The views are spectacular, as expected but the trail conditions are not. There are areas where handrails could be useful, especially where the slope is steeper and the trail is just a dirt path covered with pine needles. The risk of sliding down made me regret not taking my hiking sticks. Carefully consider your steps in those areas.
Magda D — Google review
This was such an intense but rewarding experience! It took me about 2 ½ hours round trip. The trail begins with stairs and gradually becomes more challenging—you’ll find yourself climbing over rocks as the path gets rougher. I pushed through because I didn’t want to give up, and I’m so glad I did. The views are absolutely worth it, with stunning scenery at every rest point. I went early in the morning to avoid the crowds and the heat, which I highly recommend, but next time I’d love to try it at sunset for an even more magical view. 🌄✨

It's great that such beautiful places are still accessible free of charge. From the parking lot, there's a shuttle that takes visitors to three different locations. A truly fantastic service! From there, hikes of varying lengths and difficulty levels are available. A quick tip: be sure to get plenty of information and bring plenty of drinking water. We just started walking and ended up being on the trail much longer than planned. It's definitely worth planning time for the visit because there's so much to discover. We spotted dragonflies of all different colors by the water, many different lizards along the way, and a snake in the water. This is a very beautiful area. All my grandparents left the area in the late 1800s. I have been back three times. Monte Fossa delle Felci is the highest point in the Aeolian archipelago, reaching 3,156 feet. The challenging two-hour hike to the summit starts at the yellow-painted Santuario della Madonna del Terzito church and offers breathtaking sea views. The well-maintained trail includes woodland paths with chestnut trees dating back to Roman times.
center of the island directly between the two imposing cone shaped volcano’s and climbed the to the top of the highest peak in all of the 7 isola eolie - monte fossa delle felci - 962m elevation - the trail began behind santuario della madonna del terzito in valdichiesa, the accent took 2 hours with view of all the islands, excellent trail, a humble pile of stones and small wooden cross marked the summit.

The high rating is more about the journey than the destination. Ascending the Monte is a pleasant way to spend your day as much of the road receives good shade. As others have said the easiest access is the well maintained forestry road starting at Valdichiesa. This is a sometimes steep but straightforward way to access the summit. As you ascend you realise there are many side foot paths of differing difficulty which can take you to special views or shortcut the main path. At the summit there are many paths in different directions, I have included a photo of the sign directing you to the main viewpoint.

I did Monte Fossa delle Felci from Valdichiesa to the peak the down to Santa Marina. In Valdichiesa, go left at the church and followed the road. You’ll get to a green gate that is the start of the park. Pretty good signs-take Sentiero 12 to the top. At least half is on road-not my favorite-but shaded. There are a few confusing forks off the road, but they all get you to the same place. Sentiero 4 gets you down to Santa Marina. It is a steep trail of mostly stairs, also well shaded. This route-with some diversions-was 12km. Great views along the way.

We had a magical experience wine tasting. It was a private wine tasting with masses of food and wine served throughout. Each wine glass and food helped was extremely generous. The character of the owner and the stories told made this unforgettable. Only thing is I’d recommend you turn up early to the booking, the owners first language isn’t English and we had to book over the phone so we had some crossed wires and we turned when he was leaving!

(Translated by Google) If you land on the island of Salina, the climb to the volcanic cone is a stop to plan as a tribute to the island. There are many paths to follow. Here I report on path 4, starting from Santa Marina. A first stretch is wedged into a valley after which a steep climb begins. The path is almost entirely made up of steps, some natural and rocky, others reinforced by wooden supports. At around 450 meters above sea level. the path forks. From there, heading right, follow a circular route in an anti-clockwise direction. All uphill until it reaches 1000 meters above sea level. At the top, where there is a refuge found closed, there are tables for a break and a panoramic view that I would define as aerial. In particular, you find yourself face to face with the other volcanic cone of the island. From up there you go back down to close the ring and retrace the kilometers of the initial stretch. In total there are approximately 11 km, but consider that with 11 km (of which approximately 7 are circular) there is a difference in altitude of over 900 metres. This is to say that the route is not suitable for occasional walkers, since the circuit develops on a significant slope which involves first the uphill phase and then a steep descent, made slippery by the nature of the terrain. The route is well maintained and clearly visible, but geolocalization is still highly recommended. There are no fountains or springs. Therefore, provide yourself with an abundant supply of water, which is absolutely necessary, and food. Spring and autumn are optimal times, while in the height of summer this route really puts you to the test. Even if it grows under tree cover for large stretches, I would not recommend tackling it in excessive heat. The effort is rewarded by the natural and wild beauty of the island which is expressed in the variety of changing vegetation depending on the altitude and the slope (from pine to chestnut, from heather to cork and much more). The geological formation, even to the incompetent eye, declares its volcanic nature, with its lava flows and above all the deposits of dust and pyroclastic material stratified over the millennia. To be tackled strictly with trekking shoes. Finally, I would like to point out that in the uphill section of the ring, in the middle of the bush, you can see small stone domes with a circular base which seemed similar to the prehistoric remains of Pollara. Tutta salita fino a sfiorare i 1000 s.l.m.

Monte Cofano is a striking mountain located by the seaside, offering dramatic shoreline vistas and a challenging ascent for experienced hikers. The landscape features trails near the shore, a watchtower, small chapel, cave, and marble quarries with beautiful views. The climb is relatively short but made more difficult by the heat, so it's important to bring water and suitable shoes. The ascent and descent require surefootedness and fitness, including overcoming a point with a rope and climbing.
No entry sign at the beginning of the route but very nice top view. No descent exposition trail, well marked with red dots. One moment has the rope (3m) to support ‘climb’, nothing to be scared if you are an active adult :)

Located in the heart of Sicily, this majestic volcano provides breathtaking views and natural wonders that will leave you in awe. Despite its frequent eruptions, it remains a popular destination for hikers. The trail begins at Rifugio Sapienza, with only a few brave souls opting to hike up instead of taking the cable car or minivans.
If you are looking for an adventure-packed trip, visiting Mount Etna would be the perfect choice for you. As a majestic volcano situated in the heart of Sicily, Mount Etna offers an experience like no other. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking, with an array of natural wonders that will leave you stunned. One of the most interesting things about this volcano is its tendency to erupt quite frequently. This means that you will be able to witness nature's fury up close and personal, which can be an awe-inspiring experience. The combination of sun, snow, sea, sky, and lava all in one place makes this spot truly spectacular. Moreover, you can even take a walk around the volcano to get a closer look at the lava. Valley of the Temples is a vast archaeological site in Sicily, featuring ancient temples and ruins of the city of Akragas. The city, known as Agrigentum to the Romans, was situated on a high plateau with a panoramic view. It boasted exceptional prosperity and magnificence, attracting foreign visitors.
Visit in the afternoon for less crowds and less heat - the shadows also make for much more cinematic photos! The bookstore has very cute souvenirs, most reasonably priced. Bring water as the water from most fountains on site is drinkable.

We visited Valle dei Templi in Agrigento with a group of students, arriving shortly after breakfast. The weather looked uncertain — dark clouds rolling in and a bit of wind — but that didn’t dampen our spirits. A resourceful vendor near the entrance was selling umbrellas for 10 €, which turned out to be a good investment! Despite the stormy skies, the site was absolutely spectacular. Walking among the ancient Greek temples — especially the Tempio della Concordia — gives you a real sense of timelessness. In front of the temple lies the striking fallen statue of Icarus, a modern bronze sculpture that contrasts beautifully with the ancient ruins and seems to capture the fragility of human ambition. It’s one of those sights that makes you stop and reflect before moving on. The paths are fairly easy to walk, though good shoes are essential. The site is large, so plan at least a couple of hours to explore it properly. There are rest areas, cafés, and a small bookshop near the entrance. This was one of the cultural highlights of our trip through Sicily — impressive, educational, and deeply moving. Tip: Go early in the day or later in the afternoon to avoid the heat and crowds. And if the forecast looks iffy… buy the umbrella!

Surely one of the most significant and popular archaelogical sights in Sicily. A very unique experience that you need more than a day to fully discover. So many interesting features along this walk, not a difficult trek, easier if you start at the upper temple by taking the taxi from the parking area and work your way back down to it.
David F — Google review
The site is interesting but the visit could be better organized. Parking is paid separately, and you only learn ticket prices (€17 for entry) after passing a security check, and then for the lower garden (€7 more) only after you've descended about 10 meters down the path... Clearer pricing at the entrance would help. The electric cart costs €4, but the area is small enough to walk comfortably. The temple looks impressive from afar, though up close much of it seems reconstructed. The market-style entrance with many souvenir stalls feels a bit commercial. Overall, worth seeing, but the experience would be smoother and fairer with better signage and simpler ticket options.
Kuba S — Google review
The best preserved Greek Ruins we have seen. The site is very easy to walk through without too many steps (Children & Senior Friendly). Keep in mind the only public restrooms are before you go through the ticket entrances and one in the middle by the cafe. There are plenty of shaded areas to walk through and rest in. Plenty of parking at entrances and lots of photo opportunities. I highly recommend a visit.

***Valley of Temples, Agrigento, Sicily*** The Valley of Temples in Agrigento is a stunning glimpse into the ancient world. Walking among the ruins of towering temples dedicated to Greek gods, you’re transported back to a time before the Common Era. The site is a powerful reminder of how time — the ultimate force — destroys everything. The beauty of the ruins, set against the Sicilian landscape, is awe-inspiring, offering a humbling reflection on the fragility of human achievement.

Teatro Massimo, located in Palermo, Italy, is a grand auditorium built in 1897 and still holds the title of Italy's largest theater with a seating capacity of 1,387. The building is an impressive and elegant architectural gem, featuring a pediment inscribed with the phrase "The Art renews the people and reveals its life." It was designed by architect Giovan Battista Filippo Basile and completed by his son.
A true architectural masterpiece in the heart of Palermo Teatro Massimo impresses not only with its stunning exterior but also with its beautifully decorated interior and perfect acoustics. The atmosphere inside feels like stepping back in time elegant, grand, and full of history. Even from the upper seats, the sound is crystal clear. The location is central and surrounded by many great spots to explore.

We headed out early from Syracuse to do this hike. 1.2 km down the ravine to this little oasis. Getting there was an easy drive until we got a km away. Then you are on a very rocky, narrow road- praying that no one is coming the other way. Several larger vehicles parked at the start of the narrow road - i assume the passengers walked in. There are clean washrooms available for use at the top of the hill. We were given an estimate of 40 minutes down and an hour back. I’m not in the best of shape so was worried about the trip back up. Although I had already been doing a lot of steps and stairs for the past 13 days. We made it both ways in less than the estimated time told to us. The route was a mix of rock steps, loose rock and a few flatter spots- just to keep you going. lol It’s nice to be able to sit and have some lunch dangling your feet in the cool water. The temperature heated up as we descended. We were glad that the temp outside was around 24. I think if it was warmer it would slow the hike back up the hill as there isn’t a lot of shade to rest in. A beautiful hike and we certainly recommend it.

As fans of The Godfather trilogy, visiting the Teatro Massimo Vittorio Emanuele was the first thing on our Palermo itinerary—it's iconic! The theater is famous worldwide as the dramatic setting for the final, tragic scene of The Godfather Part III, making it an essential pilgrimage site for film lovers. Even though we couldn't secure tickets for the interior tour this time, the building's exterior is magnificent and absolutely worth the visit. It stands as the largest opera house in Italy and the third largest in Europe, a massive, imposing structure that dominates Piazza Giuseppe Verdi. Its Neoclassical design, with a majestic hexastyle Corinthian portico and the impressive bronze lions flanking the entrance steps, speaks to the incredible wealth and culture of Palermo at the turn of the 20th century. Taking a moment to simply stand on the steps and admire the architecture, imagining the grand events that have unfolded there (both real and cinematic), is a pleasure in itself. Whether you are here for the opera, the history, or for the indelible connection to the Corleone family's final moments, the Teatro Massimo is a truly beautiful and essential stop in Palermo.

Tempio di Segesta is an ancient Greek temple dating back to the 5th century BC, located on a rural hillside with stunning panoramic views. The best times to visit are during spring and early fall when the weather is mild and sunny. It's advisable to bring sun protection and water due to the intense Sicilian sun. The archaeological site features a well-preserved Doric temple and a 3rd-century BC Greek theatre, both offering remarkable historical insights.
Really nice place, free parking. I was there today, Wednesday, August 7, 2025. There was a 10-minute wait for tickets. Children under 17 are free, but it's recommended to spend €2.50 per person for the bus to the theater, a 1.5 km route. There's a bar, vending machines, and nice, clean bathrooms. Otherwise, it's worth the view alone.

The place is beautiful and evocative. However, this beauty is marred by poor management. I am Italian and I know these things. We find rubbish that corrupts the cultural level of the place. I would also like to point out that for years the cost of admission has been rising by €2 every year. Although a tourist can afford this expense, a Sicilian cannot spend this money. If local people cannot enjoy the beauty of their land, they will not be able to respect it either. And they will continue to treat Sicily like a huge trash can. Let's respect Sicily and make culture accessible to everyone, not just those with a lot of money. Please write other reviews like mine so that the managers understand how they should behave.

The archaeological park featuring the Doric Temple and the Theatre of Segesta is an absolutely essential stop in Western Sicily. Even having visited many ancient sites in Greece and Turkey, the Temple of Segesta stands out as one of the most impressively maintained and stunningly located historical structures we’ve ever seen. The temple's location, perched high on a hill overlooking the magnificent Sicilian landscape, is deeply dramatic. It is remarkably well-preserved for a 5th-century BC structure, showcasing the purity of the Doric style with its 36 intact columns. This incredible state of maintenance elevates the entire experience. What truly impressed us was the management and care taken by the entire park staff. The grounds are spotlessly clean and extremely well-organized—a welcome rarity at major historical sites. While we were there, staff were actively planting new trees and flowers, showing a clear, ongoing commitment to enhancing the beauty of the park. The ticket for the Temple and the Theatre costs €18.50 and conveniently includes the shuttle service up to the remote theatre site. We also noted a significant detail for families: our 14-year-old daughter did not require a ticket, indicating favorable policies for minors. Access to the Theatre: To reach the ancient Theatre, located even higher up the hill, a convenient shuttle service departs regularly from behind the main shop area, making the entire journey seamless and accessible. Park Maintenance: The entire area, from the parking lots to the paths, felt clean and thoughtful. The Temple of Segesta is not just a breathtaking historical monument; it is a prime example of how an ancient site should be managed and presented to visitors. Highly recommended for its beauty and organizational excellence.

Okayyy, so the temple - absolutely majestic, fully in tact, 5 minute walk from the entrance. But the theatre is a 30 minute walk uphill, you can pay a couple extra euros to get there on bus, but yk stairmaster, pump that butt.

Beautiful site! We walked to the second site, it was about 25min going up so not the easiest walk in the sun. If you want, there is a shuttle every 30 minutes as well.

An incredible monument of Greek culture, but even more fascinating is how later cultures layered their own influences over it. It’s worth climbing the second peak to see the remains of the settlement next to the theater. The views are beautiful too. In spring, everything is in bloom.

Riserva naturale orientata Oasi Faunistica di Vendicari is a large and picturesque nature reserve that serves as a popular destination for birdwatching. The reserve features walking trails and provides access to beautiful beaches with open sand, rocks, and shallow waters. One of the most renowned beaches within the reserve is Cala Mosche, which is hidden by a cove, offering calm and clear waters along with warm temperatures.
Amazing and quiet place, perfect not just for the birdwatching but also for an easy walk beach to beach. It's possible to reach every beach by walking, starting from one pf the five gates of the natural site
Controvento F — Google review
Vendicari is beautiful. With the ticket you get access to 5 beaches. Walking to each take plenty of time so decide on one or two to visit if you really want to walk. Otherwise go by car. Note. The road is bad. You will find many cars coming and going both ways. Be careful not to scratch your car against the plants/branches coming towards you. A bit of a pain in the bum. Otherwise the beach is beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful reserve. Amazing bird life and very hot in summer bring water and be prepared bathrooms are more of a bush wee !! There is however along the trail the most incredible beach for swimming and just the most unbelievable beautiful clear water. Take a cozzie. And definitely wear it because there are no changing rooms.

The region of Sicily itself is known for its rich cultural heritage, with numerous UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Palermo, Monreale, Syracuse, and more.
One of the best experience in my life! Vulcano island is very attractive. You should definitely get to the top of the crater and see the view from there. One of the best views ever. There is traffic light at the beginning of the road. Most of the time is red but you can see people climbing even so... If it's not windy you won't feel the gas. After climbing we went to the sea for swimming. We were at the black sand beach. I really loved it! Such a nice view and you are like in jacuzzi:) Good luck!
Tihomir Y — Google review
100% worth the visit, the island is amazing and unique. Definitely keep time for a hike on the vulcano (1h each way) and dedicate a day to one of the many mini-cruises you can do from the island. If you’re looking for nightlife this may not be the best place, but if you like nature and want to experience something different go to Vulcano!

Nice beaches, if you enjoy hiking, the a trip to the volcano is a must, if you like sea, then rent a boat and find hidden places...
George P — Google review
We went to the mud bath and it wasn't so bad but it was not hot ss I expected it to be. It was around 25° to 30° Celsius in the places without the volcano bubble and in the places where the bubble are maybe up to 100° Celsius but when you just sit beside it it will be perfect. Also there is the volcano smell I like but you shouldn't inhale too much of, it might make you feel dizzy. There was also an entrance to the sea and it was really cold there but when you reach the place where the bubbles are, it is just perfect there.
Miro D — Google review
No ADA accessible. One hour (more or less) by walking from vulcano port. Sports shoes are needed!

Located on the green-hued island of Marettimo in the Egadi Islands, Castello di Punta Troia is a must-visit destination for hikers. The castle sits atop the rocky headland of Punta Troia and offers stunning views of the surrounding turquoise waters. While it's quite a walk to reach the fortress, visitors are rewarded with panoramic vistas and an opportunity to explore the seventeenth-century Spanish fortress and prison.
Such a great hiking experience. The trail is a dangerous one if not well prepared. It starts off pretty chill until you find yourself at the edge of the cliffs. We saw people with sandals. Very dangerous. Prepare at least a 750cc water bottle or electrolytes and HIKING SHOES. We left the village at around 1630 and arrived at around 1815. We did multiple stops to enjoy the views and take pictures. On this round we started going up to the castle however it got late and didn't manage. The Guardian of the Castle was coming down and being picked up by a boat that offered everyone a lift back to the village as the pathway becomes pitch dark and it is easier to get lost or hurt as the sun sets. He was pretty worried for those that walked it back. Therefore if you don't like the heat of the sun, start at least at 1530 to have time to stop, chill, visit the castle and swim. The only things you need In one backpack : underwear, towel, 750cc bottle is enough. If you'd like to walk back in the dark a headlamp. If you are in two take it in turns to carry the bag. Also have 10EUROS Per person in case you take the boat back. Just ask the driver. It's usually 10euros pp. Worth the walk ❣️❣️

The hike to get here is harder than you might expect, but the views are amazing! Pro tip: get a boat taxi on the way here or on the way back, this way you can enjoy the hike on one way and the sea on the other.

Eric T — Google review
The path is a bit hard to find, especially if you start from the town! But it is worth it. I loved the hike (steep at the beginning) and the view was great! It was also super hot and very sunny the day I walked. Since there is not a lot of shade nor water on the path I suggest to wear a hat and carry water bottles.

If you are in the area definitely give it a go. We did part of the route on our mountain bikes and walked the last 2.5km. the views on the way and at the top are stunning
Brendan M — Google review
Great view! I parked a car on via del Seco. The whole trip took me 2 hours to go on top and back - with 30minutes on the top. The view is amazing on the top and during the hike as well. 95% of hike is stony road - last 100m are stones but it’s not hard - definitely light hiking even for children or elders.
Patryk M — Google review
It’s not a long hike but can be a little challenging with the rocky terrain near the top and also quite a bit of elevation over a fairly short distance. Otherwise, the hike is really not technical at all and the view at the top is well worth the effort. We stayed the night before and started the hike from town after breakfast. With a hiking map, it was not difficult to find the way up. The hike is exposed the whole way but we went in December so the temperature wasn’t too warm to hike in, could be brutal in summer! The wind was merciless tho and made it a little more difficult near the top where it was completely exposed. We made a little video summary of our hike on instagram @kiwi.lay.and.egg so come check it out.

(Translated by Google) La Favorita represents what could be considered an excellence for the city. A place that offers a wonderful space to citizens where to promote many activities from sports, to recreational, to relaxing where families, young people and "adults" can find space. So large and varied that it could be reported to be included in the assets of humanity. Too bad for some, serious, critical issues. The first is the lack of real, concrete, constant care of the greenery by the designated personnel, now as always. Secondly, the dog area, 4 or 5 of them, desolately neglected, with a fence (now for years) badly patched, without benches or designated logs, holes, water... and starting from here... the lack of respect for the simple rules of social coexistence where some feel free to let dangerous or difficult to manage dogs loose, the failure to collect excrement (even in the whole park)... as well as human excrement..., the lack of adequate furniture and bins (which should be emptied regularly), some water fountains. Finally, adequate control (urban police and mounted police, maybe not just two though...). Finally... why put the sandwich and panelle van with the tables right on the cycle path? Much better, for him and for us, to place it just above on the tree-lined avenue with benches and fresh air.

Alcantara Gorge is a stunning natural wonder in Sicily, featuring a breathtaking canyon with towering 50-meter-high basalt walls carved by the Alcantara River and lava flows from Mount Etna. The river runs year-round, fed by snowmelt from Etna and the Nebrodi Mountains, creating a powerful rush of water through the gorge.
A beautiful place to go when you are in Sicily, After the heat in the beach you can find some fresh air here. At the beginning we were disappointed because we were using maps and we found some empty kanion , but after some riding we had the chance to reach the right place. Really nice nature.

During our annual visit to Sicily we try and visit many local attractions. This was the first time at this location. It is not well known to American visitors and we have been meaning to visit for some time. It is worth it for its natural beauty and terrain. It is not what one thinks of when visiting. If you are in Taormina, Catania, Messina and have the time it is worth the visit. We only did the basics but there are other tours available. It does take several hours, depending on what you want to do or see. It was not crowded but we went in September when the tourist season is slow. There is food and amenities. For those that need assistance it is available including an elevator down to the valley floor.

This is an amazing place! We found an entrance which only costs €1.50. Park the car in the main car park, upon exit give a tip of €1 to the keeper then from the gate turn left and walk about 100 meters, buy a ticket from the booth before ascending down the steps, note: there are a lot of steps to go down to and a lift costs an additional €4

We hiked the whole island and enjoyed the breathtaking views and the fresh air. There are many remote spots where you can go into the crystal clear water and swim or snorkel. The smallest island of Sicily. Rocky and wild, perfect for scuba diving, swimming and exploring the protected sea life. If you are looking for beach it would be difficult to find cause the whole island is a rocky soil. It is a good place to do nothing...there are 2 restaurants ( pretty much expensive) and one pizza place that's great and affordable. The best part is visiting the island with a boat and swim in the cristal Mediterranean see.

A pretty island but not much to do We visited Levanzo hoping to visit the caves and see the Palaeolithic Wall paintings but after arriving at 10:45 we discovered there is only one trip per day to the Grotto di Genoese at 10:15am so we didn’t get to do it sadly. There isn’t much else to do in Levanzo. There are some lovely walks along pretty coastline but take decent walking shoes as it is rough in places. We found a couple of small but pretty beaches with crystal blue waters which were glorious but very rocky and stony so we were envious of the seasoned visitors who brought thick foam yoga mats instead of towels (genius!!) and plastic shoes to wear in the water as it is extremely painful to walk on the beach and in the sea without them. There are a couple of restaurants and small shops where you disembark the ferry but nothing anywhere else on the island so buy your drink there before trekking off around the island. Visit the island for walks, snorkelling and the caves (but get there in time and book in advance) but don’t go expecting there to be lots else to do.

The Museo del Baglio Anselmi houses remains of a Punic ship from 241 B.C., a unique artifact from the Punic Wars.

From a historic viewpoint the island is very important and the things we saw were absolutely fascinating. But overall the experience was not good at all. Many info boards, especially in the museum, were only in Italian. You get a map with a recommended path to visit all of the sights on the island in the museum. However, the path is not really marked so you will get lost. We walked back and forth to really see and read everything. Unfortunately, many info boards were damaged by the sun and unreadable. The maintenance of this place is bad. Some fences were torn down or missing. Some paths were overgrown. Also the attractions are not being maintained. Many were overgrown with flowers, grass and bushes. But on the other hand, if you want to pick flowers, which a group of teenagers did, you found the right place.

We probably picked a wrong timing to visit the island. We were there at 2 pm on a very sunny day in the middle of July and the heat made it very hard to enjoy our little tour. There was hardly any shade and the artifacts weren’t that interesting. You have to pay 10 euros per person to enter the island and it includes the entrance ticket to the museum.
HJLee — Google review
Nice little island that will cost you 9€ to visit and about 5€ to get there. The museum has some impressive pieces but is not particularly well presented. Walking around the island there are many signs that cannot be read and it feels like things have been somewhat abandoned.
Merula M — Google review
The island of Mozia itself is breathtakingly beautiful, however expensive. The ferry there costs 9 Euros (they leave every 30mins), and the entry to the island is another 5 EUR. You can easily walk around the island within an hour, and there is a small coffee shop as well for your coffee and sandwich needs. I would recommend it if you enjoy scenic walks rather than exhausting hikes.

Stromboli is a small, isolated island in Italy with three inhabited villages and an active volcano. The 918m high volcano constantly erupts, creating a unique and somewhat eerie atmosphere. Visitors can take guided tours to witness the eruptions and explore the island using piaggio ape and mopeds. Hiking to the top of the volcano is a challenging but worthwhile experience, offering stunning views of the surrounding dark blue sea.
Beautiful island, one of the most unique in the region. We didn’t expect such beauty and this many things to do/restaurants. Wasn’t busy when we visited (25th of July). Worth walking around, it feels almost unreal to be on an active volcano
Arthur B — Google review
We were very fortunate on our 2019 cruise, we had a small eruption,... seeing molten lava stream out! Beautiful island.
John D — Google review
It’s beautiful but overrated. The hordes of tourists make it look like a pit stop on the way to nowhere. McD is missing from completing the whole picture.

would highly recommend a visit to this volcanic eolian island. small isolated community. piaggio ape and mopeds are used to get around. dark blue sea surrounds it. volcano is 918m high and a difficult but worthwhile hike. if the weather is right, you can also go for a swim in the sea.

Great spot and landscape! Take the hike with one of the local hiking agencies, and go see the 900m high Volcano during its ordinary activity, from a viewpoint half way to the top at 400m, by night. Amazing experience and great photos!
Guillaume D — Google review
Beautiful island with an active volcano and cute little town. Definitely worth visiting while on Sicily.
Leshem B — Google review
I feel as though it is a little overrated. It’s cool if you do the night tour on a clear night and get to see the lava flow but we did go on an overcast day. The boat ride in and out of Stromboli were definitely the highlight.
Analiese C — Google review
It was a very hard hike up the volcano, considering I haven’t hiked up a mountain in years. But seeing the volcano eruptions is one of the best things I’ve seen

Capo Bianco, located in Sicily, is often compared to the white cliffs of Dover. This stunning beach features a white spur ridge that stands out against the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean sea. Visitors can take breathtaking photos from the top of the cliff after a 10-20 minute walk from the nearby museum. While it's possible to descend to the beach and explore the white limestone, it's considered risky due to steep and slippery paths.
Beautiful place, clean beach, remote access that guarantees less crowds. 15 min walk from the parking near the excavation site.
G. D — Google review
Loved this place, park for free at the Greek Ruins and walk the lady 15 mins. Not easy to get down to the beach but it's well worth it.
S S — Google review
Superb location! It's highly recommend to visit this spot as it's free to get there! Just leave your car at the parking lot and in 15 minutes walk you are at the edge of this outstanding view. The sun sets here so you do really want to come here for this purpose.
Gabriele T — Google review
Capo Bianco is a fair but more remote alternative to Scala dei Turchi, certainly less popular and wild. You can park a car next to Theatre of Herakleia Minoa, and than have a 15 minutes walk along a cliff up to a point where you can go down to reach a beach. We haven't met a single person there, it's magnificent and relaxing - a must see.
Michał C — Google review
We were there mid June on a weekday and was almost empty - park the car and took 10’ walk through a very nice path to arrive. Definetely recomend it
Ruben S — Google review
The location is amazing, with beautiful rock formation and views. The beach is dirty, loads of rubbish. The place is the only one on the whole southern coast for naturists and gays to feel safe!
Gerlando B — Google review
Wonderful spot for an afternoon picnic. Easy walk from the amphitheater parking. Beautiful views. Very quiet at end of March.
L.Robert1991 — Google review
Beautiful place for taking photos from the top of the cliff. You can park next to the nearby museum and walk about 10-20 minutes. Theoretically you can go down from the cliff to the white limestone and then to the beach, but you have to be crazy to do this. Locals, however, don't care and go down via this steep, slippery, unsecured path which looks like it's gonna slide any minute. So - it's your choice, your responsibility. I didn't dare.

Pizzo Carbonara, the second highest peak in Sicily at 1979m, offers a thrilling excursion starting from Piano Battaglia. The trail leads to Pizzo Scalonazzo before reaching the summit and descending past Pizzo della Principessa. Hikers are treated to breathtaking panoramas, with the best viewpoint offering an uncrowded view of Mount Etna. The well-marked route takes about 5 hours and is teeming with wildlife like deer and cows.
The view wasn't really good at this time in March, but it was a nice experience. We had snow on Pizzo Carbonara in the morning and sunshine in Cefalù after lunch.

(Translated by Google) Superb hike! The map indicated 7 hours of hiking in total but we took 5. We did 2 hours for the climb and 2 hours for the descent, not including breaks. The route is very well informed through indications on the rocks. During the hike, you will encounter magnificent landscapes but above all animals (deer, deer, bull, cows). I highly recommend this hike for mountain lovers. (Original) Superbe randonnée! La carte indiquait 7 heures de randonnée au total mais nous en avons mis 5. (Translated by Google) The second highest mountain of Sicily is especially great for lovers of climbing the highest mountains - given that you cannot reach the top of Etna. The tour is not long, it took us two hours from the parking lot (but we walk relatively quickly). The view from Carbonara in all directions including the Aeolian Islands. (Original) Druhá nejvyšší hora Sicílie je hlavně super pro milovníky výšlapu na nejvyšší hory - vzhledem k tomu, že na Etnu až na vrchol se nedostanete. If you're a fan of classic cinema, the "Sicily Grand Tour" offers an unforgettable experience with its Godfather Movie Tour. Led by knowledgeable guides like Alessio and Gianmarco, this tour takes you through the stunning Sicilian countryside and charming towns where iconic scenes were filmed. You'll not only enjoy breathtaking scenery but also gain fascinating insights into the making of the film, complete with books and videos that enhance your understanding.
Wonderful day with our tour guide Alessio! It was the “Godfather” tour- we were picked up at our Villa and enjoyed a full day of touring the beautiful countryside and towns where they shot the movie- Alessio was extremely knowledgeable and had books and videos to show us where we were. We did the extra at the Castle too, which was well worth the extra 20€ to see that place’ and meet the Baron and see all his photos of the filming - if you are a fan of the movies - do not miss this!

My family and I had an amazing experience with Sicily Grand Tour. We had used their airport transfer and four private tours. The airport transfer and tours were perfect! Alesso was our guide for all of the tours. Alesso was excellent! He is very knowledgeable about Sicilian history and culture. He took the time to explain everything we saw and never rushed us. We enjoyed talking to him since he always made us feel welcome! He was very enthusiastic and had a genuine passion for Sicilian history and culture. We asked him many questions and he was always happy to answer them! He also customized our private tours to our needs. Alesso was very kind, knowledgeable, patient, punctual, calm, and fun to spend time with! The local lunch stops he recommended were amazing! I asked him for a place that makes Scaccia. He brought us to a place in Modica that was incredible. It was just as great as my aunt's from Ragusa makes! He also suggested amazing foccia and panina shops on other trips. My family and I loved the tours of Agrigento, Baroque Tour – Noto, Modica, and Ragusa Ibla, Siracusa and Ortigia, Castelmola and Taormina with Alleso. I highly recommend Sicily Grand Tour for all of your tours and airport transfers. I will use them again when I return to Sicily. Grazie di tutto Alesso e Sicily Gran Tour!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with the Godfather Tour in Catania! The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the iconic filming locations and the history behind them. The attention to detail and passion they brought to the tour truly enhanced the experience. Walking through the picturesque streets while learning about the movie's behind-the-scenes stories was a captivating journey. Whether you're a fan of The Godfather or simply interested in exploring Catania's cultural heritage, this tour is a must-do. I left with a deeper appreciation for both the movie and the city. I highly recommend it!

Incredible Experience – The Godfather Tour with Carmelo We had an amazing time on the Godfather Tour organized by Sicily Grand Tour. The communication was excellent right from the start. We were informed about the meeting point the day before the tour, which made everything smooth and easy. On the morning of the tour, our guide Carmelo picked us up near our hotel. Our first stop was Castello degli Schiavi, the iconic filming location where Michael Corleone hides out in The Godfather Part I. The property owner charges an entrance fee of €25 per person, which was clearly explained in advance during the booking process. For those who didn’t want to pay the entrance, waiting outside by the car was an option. Inside, both Carmelo and the owner gave us a detailed and passionate tour through the rooms, explaining the film scenes shot there and sharing behind-the-scenes stories. We were free to explore and take as many photos as we liked, and Carmelo was always ready to help take pictures in front of the iconic spots. Next, we visited Savoca, starting with a stop at Bar Vitelli, where we had some refreshments. Afterwards, we walked up to the church where Michael’s wedding was filmed. Carmelo again impressed us with his deep knowledge of the films and their production. Our final stop was the picturesque village of Forza d’Agrò, where we had lunch at Antichi Muri. The restaurant even displays the original bicycle from The Godfather Part III. The one the priest rides past Kay to give her flowers. After lunch, we visited two churches featured in the films and walked down the alley to see the door to Vito Corleone’s birth house. We were then comfortably driven back to Catania and dropped off at our original pickup location. A huge thank you goes to Carmelo! He was incredibly patient, always friendly, attentive, and full of knowledge. He answered all of our questions and constantly offered to take photos for everyone. His enthusiasm and dedication truly made the tour something very special. Highly recommended for any fan of The Godfather films!

I very rarely post reviews but I will make an exception in this case. By far the best tour I have ever been on. To say that Alessio is an expert on The Godfather is a vast understatement, amazing facts and historical background. Meeting the Baron was an added bonus at his beautiful Castello degli Schiavi. The cannoli at Bar Vitelli was marvelous. A must do tour for any fan of The Godfather trilogy.

We took the Godfather tour and everything was spectacular! They contacted me a few days before to coordinate. From there, everything went from good to amazing. Our tourguide Alessio knows everything you need to know about the film, and our driver Gianmarco was also very nice. I totally recommend this tour if you're a Godfather fan.

We had an amazing tour of Syracusa, Ortigia and Notó. Our guide Alessio Patané was very informative and enjoyable to spend the day with. He gave us historical perspectives of the area and shared his passion for his Country. He also took us to a restaurant to enjoy talking and eat local food. We had a great day!
