Oh my god, this cannoli place is a must try. There are five different filling and topping options and they fill them freshly upon order. I had a small one orange ricotta filling with pistachios and orange topping, and it was heavenly. My friends were super happy with what they ordered. They also serve granite and ice creams. I’m definitely going back today to try other options.

The gluten free cannoli are what I was hoping for and they are delicious. The service is nice too. I’m putting one star as the gluten free went from 3.80 to 4.50€ in a week! 20% inflation for us gluten free people. So I put one star hoping the owner will revise this price policy .

Probably the best cannoli we had during our trip! Fresh, crispy, and very sweet. Definitely recommend sharing one portion between two people if you don’t want to go into a sugar coma 🙂 Highly recommended!

Best Cannoli I have ever tried. This is probably one of the best places in Sicily to try cannoli and if you come to Palermo you must stop by. The shell is crunchy but not too hard, just perfect, and they have different fillings to choose from and toppings to add on the sides. The fillings are also spot on, creamy but not overly sweet, just perfect. I tried the classic, pistachio, and hazelnut. I could not fault any! Also, a very good touch, if you are allergic to nuts, they will prepare yours at the back to avoid any potential cross contamination.

classic cannoli was good choice. cannoli filled in front of you, mine was with ricotta cheese and I chose pistachio topping and sugar powder. I had cannoli before and this one was really good. Came on Monday before closing, so there was no queue. 3,20€ was the size I chose, there are bigger or smaller, with chocolate glaze or classic.

After seeing this place online we had to give it a try and I wasn’t disappointed! This cannoli is the BEST one I ever had that now I don’t want cannoli’s around where I live anymore lol. The line was about 15-20 min wait and like many say, you can share one because it’s so big. No place to really sit and eat at the garden because there’s lots of people doing the same thing. The system of lines is controlled and appreciated.

We joined the very long line at the famous I Segreti del Chiostro while in Palermo. This shop inside the Santa Caterina Monastery prepares pastries using ancient recipes passed down from the nuns. I tried the pistachio cannoli — crisp shell, creamy filling, and perfectly balanced sweetness, though for me it was massive (honestly, too big!). Staff were friendly and patient despite the line. Probably was once only a local place, thanks to online reviews much busier. Waited almost 20 mins to order but it was worth it! Cannolo was HUGE and gratefully shared. I had to try the minne di virgini - very different with chocolate pieces inside and cloves and cinnamon flavors in a marzipan-like filling. We visited the church first and had a chance to see the monastery and climb to the rooftop, but this is not required to get to the dolceria.

Once you arrive at the entrance it’s a short walk up stairs and down the hallway. There was a line, it took 10-ish minutes and then you’re inside with your number. Once your number is called you quickly place your cannoli order and desserts. The process was too overwhelming for me personally but I think it’s a great place to try many Sicilian desserts for a fair price. The cannoli was too sweet for me, it’s also huge so I recommend splitting it between 2 people. The marzipan was really nice! The fountain area where one can sit was crowded. Overall a nice experience but one could also skip it if they’ve tried Sicilian desserts before

If you want to eat at the “birthplace” of the cannoli, this is the place to come. Tasty desert, including cannoli’s and a lot of varieties of desserts. We went in off-season (middle of October) and there was a bit of queuing, but not terrible, 15-20 minutes of waiting. Queues are organized and it moves pretty fast. Also there is an interior garden to sit and enjoy the desert

Very unique location and ambiance. The cannolis here are big and well done but the filling is a little on the sweet side and not as delicate and creamy ricotta as those we had at top places in Catania. To us the Catania style was superior.

Lovely cannolis. We grabbed one with pistachios and ate it in the small courtyard within the church. We waited in a line for around 5 minutes before a man at the door gave us a ticket with a number which the ladies call when it's your time to order. A very efficient system but make sure you know what you want to order quickly! €4 for the cannoli. You could definitely share with a friend! Would return.

Around 50 flavours of chocolate to taste from. The atmosphere was not inviting, I really think the assistant was knowledgeable, but some guidance would have been appreciated. It’s a good place to see what flavours you like. They sell mostly dark chocolate. The chocolate is not soft, due to no cocoa butter, it does not really melt in your mouth, it was crumbly and somehow dry. It’s interesting to feel the whole granules of sugar and pieces of rosemary, ginger and all sorts of herbs and spices

Beautiful little chocolate shop with a huge range of their own chocolates. You can taste each flavour and there are ‘guides’ who explain the manufacturing process. A really nice experience.

High quality chocolate which won several « best chocolate in Modica » prizes. There is no cacao butter in their chocolate so you can have the real taste of chocolate without any fat. I recommend the infused chocolate with pepper or origan or tea, it is incredible. Also the peperoncino chocolate which is a classic one but still amazing. I tried the cinnamon and mandarin flavoured chocolate, and frankly, I couldn’t tell the difference between them. The chocolate flavour was dominant, with no discernible spice or additional taste. There were way too many flavours on display, for what it seems like a marketing machine. For example, they had milk chocolate, which completely missed the point of Modica’s chocolate in my opinion. The bars were also incredibly small, only 50g, and the packaging was super fancy. To top it off, they were very pricey, with no less than €4.50 per 50g bar. The staff was also off-putting. They made sure to emphasise that you could only get four free samples, as if I was there to try rather than buy. I suppose they know that at those prices, very few people can afford to buy more than a couple of bars at best.

I can’t remember what we paid for a tour. Something around €40 I think it was. Not worth it at all. Very short and didn’t really learn a lot. The chocolate samples we got were free to anyone. We have a tiny bit of vermouth which was the only extra I guess.

Beware. Lady charged us $32 euros for 3 chocolates. She said the eftpos was not working, obviously ripping off tourists and pocketing the money.

The granita al limone was refreshing and natural. The brioche with gelato was good but you can find better options. The cannolo was outstanding. I was expecting a higher experience considering the famous. I’m nosy so sure if it’s worth the hype. The good point there was no waiting time. The service was quick but I had to stand up three times, asking menú, asking a knife and the check; but extra charged “for service”.

We were hesitant to try anything here because of all the negative reviews but wow the desserts here were better than anywhere else in Sicily. Not too sweet, creamy, and made with quality ingredients. I ordered a cappuccino with almond mouse (they sell espresso with almond mouse but they allowed me to put it on a cappuccino). The mango cake was especially delicious as was the Cassata.

Amazing taste of all deserts and granita. Nowhere else we have tried so good granita, now I understand that in video what they were speaking about real granita. 11 out of 10!

If you go to Sicily and do not take time to visit the charming city from Noto, then you miss something! Caffe Sicilia is a unique place where the pastries are made for 4 generations and have the best raw products to make them tasty as it should be. We tried many things but the Cannoli deserved a special mention. While in Sicily I tried a lot of them and I tried can be better that this one! Atmosphere is great and Staff extremely friendly!

I understand that you are seated at the table and in the center of Noto, but it's just crazy to charge so much for a granita (even crazier considering that it's just average quality). The place is beautiful. Right in the centre of Noto. The tables outside are beautiful too. However the croissant with chocolate they serve is not the real chocolate (made of chocolate powder and starch and then filled inside the croissant). It’s a small, quiet place with outdoor seating and a nice view — perfect for a cappuccino ☕ and something sweet This is a well-known bakery that’s been around since the 1960s, when Maria started it after learning how to make traditional Sicilian pastries from nuns I had a cassatina, a slice of ricotta cake, and a few small sweets. All were good, though a bit too sweet for my taste — but that’s typical of Sicilian desserts 😅. I noticed the place gets quite busy later in the day, with people lining up and buying pastries to take home as gifts A lovely local spot that’s definitely worth trying if you’re in Erice 💛.

Simply the best sweets in Sicily. Whatever you will pick you will be shocked by it's taste! Prices are OK, usually there is a line to get them but it's totally worth unless it goes out the shop which means like 1h + of wait. But if you got time do it, it's worth. Genovese is the main sweet here, but go ahead and try each one.

The desserts here were amazing – the pastries were still warm and incredibly tasty. However, I was quite surprised that the cappuccino was served in a plastic cup. I’ve never seen hot coffee like that before, and unfortunately, it was more like warm milk without any foam. A great place for sweets, but the coffee experience needs improvement.

Recommended by a local to come here for Maria’s famous genovesi - 2 minutes of pure heaven as I devoured this warm, buttery biscuit filled with vanilla cream custard! Wish I had the language to let them know how much I enjoyed this in Italian 🇮🇹

After trying many cannolis in Palermo, I can confidently say this was by far the best. In addition to their amazing cannolis, we sampled a variety of mignons and an iris — and everything was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was wonderful too, filled with local workers grabbing a quick bite and kids returning from school, which made it feel genuinely authentic. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. We had food elsewhere in Palermo that was half as good for twice the price. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting — I honestly wish I could eat here every day.

While the cakes themselves were nice, the man who served us was rude. Obnoxious clearly into his phone more than serving us and being somewhat stuck up with my friend's best attempt to speak Italian seemingly consistently misunderstanding which cake she wanted, one or two pieces of. He then proceeded to play with his phone as he was half wrapping our package and generally seemed just annoyed at our existence. The taste of cakes was definitely not worth the attitude that we were given in this place

Pasticceria Cappello is truly the best sweet shop in Palermo. The quality of their baked goods is outstanding, and I absolutely love it. Every time I stay in Palermo, this place makes me fall in love with the city even more. I ended up going there every day to enjoy their delicious cakes and pastries. Highly recommended!

There was 3 of us and wanted something to tie us over until dinner . We ordered the Tagliere Biancomangiare. It was perfect, everything tasted great.

We came back again and again! The food and desserts here were so tasty, and great value for money! The service was lovely too. Would recommend the veg platter of traditional Ragusa food, as well as the pistachio icecream. This restaurant was a real highlight of our trip!

Wonderful food at great prices. Simple, not the most elegant but yet tasty decor and food. Couldn’t have made a better choice for lunch! We've had the most amazing pistaccio and peanut icecream in a brioche. The price is more than fair for the big portion you will get. We came here at least once a day on our five day trip in Palermo. The best flavors we had: Pistaccio, Peanut, Hazelnut and dark chocolate.

Recently popped by on a trip to Palermo after reading great reviews and being an avid gelato enthusiast! I tried one with chocolate cookies/biscuits and Hazelnut. Both these were very good! there were plenty of crunchy biscuits in the former, adding great texture and flavour! The hazelnut flavour also came through very strong in the latter. There are seats outside where you can enjoy your gelato 🙂

If you want to experience the chaotic yet organised Sicilian busy pastry shop experience , then this is your spot. Open the whole day , this shop provides great quality pastries as well as nice savoury sandwiches and great breakfast croissants. Everyone seems very hard working and they keep up with a huge workload daily. Hats off to them as they are doing a great job. It is very informal and rustic ( you might even witness a fight between staff members while coping with a busy service , but hey, this is the proper cafè experience). High recommended for quality Sicilian food !!

Hands down the best gelato I’ve ever had in my life, I tried several other places across Italy and this was the best one. I ended up returning here 5 times over 3 days. Try to get the croissant with gelato when it’s fresh, unreal. My favorite flavors were mango, raspberry, fig, and dark chocolate, but the pistachio seems to be their specialty and did smell amazing

The fondente was fine, not great, not terrible (3.6? :P), definitely closer to 'great' than 'terrible'. The vanilla was fine, but again not 'wow'. I liked the pistachio. Overall, good enough, it's one of the best gelaterias in Palermo, and so we came back for more. The first time we came here, we felt a bit confused, as the staff seemed to be playing around with us a bit? That would have been whatever, but I ordered fondente and got stracciatella instead. The second time, all was fine though. Something very nice is that, whenever you order something, you get a free sample of another flavour that you didn't choose.

Nice gelato bar, nice ppl there with wonderful gelato served. We choose Pistachio and Yogurt, wonderful mix together. €4 for a cup of two mix.

The waitress was an absolute delight! She took a great care for everything and help me with every request I had. The food was tasty, just like the dessert. I really enjoyed this place and would recommend it aswell (in the jungle of bars and restaurants on that street this was a right choice)

Lovely, slightly larger cafè and restaurant on a very pleasant commercial street, an extension of Via Emmanuelle towards the bay. Wonderful coffees and pastries, and a nice looking but simple menu with a little something for everyone, including salads. I went back to try their Caesar Salad and it was terrific; lots of most chicken, crispy lettuce and the right amount of tasty dressing. Has both indoor and outdoor seating. They take care of you with good service and good food!

Amazing little "pub" (such as Italian call Cafe houses). You can have nice breakfasts, a qucik lunch, several coctails, amazing and delish dessserts, wines and excellent service. Inside and outside tableservice.

If you are looking for original sicilian granita go there! It has his old charme (the eldery gentleman is great)with friendly only Italian speaking service but they are lovely and trying to help the best they can you have so many granita flavours: lemon, peach, Indian fig cactus, Watermelons, orange, mint, and many many more (24 flavours!!) see in my photos all of them. They are so delicious like you eating a real iced fruit! Please give it a try it's absolutely great and tasty one granita costs 3€. We tasted peach, Indian fig, watermelon, lemon (sour!!) all were fantastic Highly recommend!

Wow. We were impressed. This gelateria didn't look famous, but the granite is just great. We loved the taste of the granite. Every granite is based on fresh fruits. We tried limone, frutti di Bosco, pistachio and mandolore.

The Arancini are great. Good place to give it a try. Also the owner was super friendly.

We've had many granitas in Sicily and this one was disappointing. The Amarena one did not taste like real cherry at all and gave us lips as pink as my color changing lip gloss would. There were big pieces of ice in it too. Also the portion size was smaller than anywhere else for 3€. The service was hectic and had the old gentleman not intervened we'd also have gotten our order later, than the people who came after us.

I love their branch in Via Gabriele D'Annunzio 15 - the decor and atmosphere is amazing, they have really good pastries. I went with my friend to the one in the city center and the staff was really unfriendly and even rude. The best Canoli in Palermo! The service is a bit strange though. You get a ticket but it took me a while to understand that you must stand to the left & wait for your number to be called. My mum and I had the most memorable stay in this beautiful waterfront B&B, from the minute we arrived everything was perfect. Claudia and Sabrina the hosts were so helpful and welcoming, our room was big and bright with direct views onto the water and the breakfast was to die for. We went swimming everyday straight from steps at the back of the hotel, we watched sunset and sunrise from our balcony and enjoyed the large roof terrace in the evenings. Everything was divine, I can’t wait to come back! We loved it!

The arancini catanese was good, though the pistachio one was a bit bland despite being freshly made. The wait for a table can take a bit, but the waiters were kind.

It was recommended to me by my hotel. It was a very good selection of tasty Sicilian food like Arancini, Croissant, sweets, coffee, any many more. Lovely location for a snack and drink after a long day walking. Nice views, quite quiet but service is speedy and friendly. 5 stars for a small board of snacks and zero cover charge. That's a huge positive and so offering a tip was a pleasure rather than having it taken from you even if the service is bad. Other restaurant owners take note. Grazie 🇮🇹

Surprise yourself in the late afternoon when you just order a beer and a lemon granita and the staff also bring you a bowl of olives some nuts crisps and some mini pizzas or another little snack on the house. Look at the photos. It's really relaxing to sit and watch dive boats go in and out with a nice cappuccino, and see some of the local children catching an octopus from the harbour in front of you. They occasionally they have live music here. Nice views, nice staff and you can write home about the lemon granitas

Our favourite pit stop in Lipari! Tucked away in an alley, away from all the chaos around Marina Corta, they offer a tranquil haven to enjoy some wonderful coffee. There are also plenty of treats to tempt you, including the Sicilian favourite "brioche con gelato" (ice cream sandwich).

Cute spot on the water with boats bobbing and water gently waving back and forth. Service is quick, they take credit cards, and the desserts and drinks we had were yummy. I thought the “deconstructed” Cannoli would be interesting but best to stick with the original.

This morning we enjoyed a traditional Sicilian breakfast at Don Peppinu in Marzamemi, and it was unforgettable. The cappuccino was the best we’ve ever had rich and perfectly strong, just as we asked. The brioche filled with pistachio and almond ice cream was absolutely divine. A must-visit spot when in Sicily! Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

There’s no better place in San Vito lo Capo. BEST pistachio gelato and at a very fair price. And attended by their owner, who the 4 times we went, greeted us with a big smile. I’m happy I had a delicious gelato and to support local places like these ones.

Best ice cream in town but lack of staff and consideration towards people that have to wait during their meal break, sometimes for 1 hour or more. With all the customers coming, they might just hire someone to keep the shop open during peak times and reduce the waiting. 4 stars only because of that. Ice cream is really good and worth it!

This is not my town. Gaudy lights, cheap tourist trinkets and loads of people in white, looking as happy as a cartoon character standing next to a bottle of turps. There's nothing wrong with this gelato. It's decent paint by numbers gear, served by charming, generous and patient locals. I actually don't know how they keep a smile as real as the heat that brings people (in white) here.

Nice place to sit in the square but there are way better granita in Sicily. I understand the nice reviewers because of its location. In the beginning they did not treat us very kindly but later when we asked to fill the water it was better. Still we can’t give it a better review because of the quality of the stuff. As the name suggests, the ice-cream here is indeed divine, with creamy texture and rich and balanced flavour, while not overly sweet. They also offer some unique flavors, which we didn't found anywhere else, like a delicious wine gelato. We also had coffe, which was great as well. In addition, the gelateria has a cellar featuring a large wine selection.

Mind-blowing ice cream in Ragusa. Best I've had since I arrived in Sicily. I got 2x small cup with Liquorice & Olive Oil and Red Wine & Viola. Can't wait to come again soon! 🍧☀️🌵

This place absolutely enchanted me with its jasmine ice cream! 🤩 There's nothing like it! I've never seen jasmine ice cream anywhere else in Italy. If anyone has, please let me know! 😋 It's like an Yves Rocher perfume, like the scent of jasmine melting on your palate in a summery setting. 😍🤪 We also tried it with onions, beets, and olive oil. It was so interesting! Trying these is something you should do at least once in your life.

This is the best gelato in Sicily and possibly all of Italy. There chocolate orange was super smooth, packed with flavour and not overly sweet, it’s the best chocolate orange I have had anywhere in the world. The gelato here is so good I went back and kept getting 3 scoop tubs until I had tried out their full range. Malaga was also like no other Malaga gelato Iv had and the raising in it were magical, and I’m not a Malaga or raising fan. Everything from this place is different to anything you have tasted before with lots of very unique combinations pumpkin with a crumble. If your in Sicily and a gelato / ice cream lover this is somewhere you HAVE to visit even if it’s just for the gelato. They staff are super nice and friendly also speaking English . The establishment has toilets and is a cosy place with out door and indoor seating

Stopped in for gelato but they had a lot of other options that looked great. The gelato was good and definitely a good place to grab some if you’re in the area. They had lots of variety of flavors and you could add two flavors for the small. Service was friendly.

You may think you’ve tasted the best gelato? If you haven’t visited Le Cuspida, then you have a treat awaiting you - flavours of exquisite quality and views down towards Valle di Templi from the nearby tree-lined Viale della Vittoria.

Wow. 0 negatives? Again first for our Sicily trip… The place was packed with locals, authentic and amazing to be in a premium gelateria. Cost? €2.50 for a cono, I think you can get 1/2/3 scoops all for the same price and as for the portion… well I was blown away at the cost of the cone and the portion size. One cone is plenty for two but with how amazing the Strawberry and Lemon was we had to go back and try two other flavours, coffee and chocolate nut. Just perfect gelato, my only regret was not getting another lemon cone as the contrast between our first and second cone was too much. Hoping to go here again today on our way through Agrigento as a detour is very much worth it.

This isn’t just a "famous name" – Fiasconaro truly lives up to its reputation. A fantastic pastry shop offering excellent coffee and outstanding desserts. We tried their signature panettone served with a variety of spreads – the pistachio cream was absolutely delicious. We also sampled a traditional local dessert, Testa di Turco – rich, creamy, and unforgettable, somewhat similar to crème brûlée but with a Sicilian twist. Great atmosphere and top-quality service. If you’re anywhere near Castelbuono, don’t miss it – this is a sweet experience worth going out of your way for.

This is "The Shop" of world-famous Fiasconaro empire, with their flagship café, pasticeria, gelateria, and shops congregating around Fontana di Piazza Margherita at the center of the town of Castelbuono. Many renowned European pastry/dessert brands maintain a shop in their town of origin (like Pasticceria Veneto of Iginio Massari in Brescia), with surprisingly reasonable prices and generous service by proud local staff. Perhaps that's their way of honoring their roots, and this place is no exception. Here, they offer a huge range of Sicilian bakeds goods and others not found elsewhere, and in addition they liberally share samples of panettone or colomba. At the café, the queen on the menu in our opinion is panettone con gelato, where a voluminous portion of their signature Panettone Tradizionale comes with well-paired scoops of gelato. Granita might not have creamy texture but has attractive flavors and not overly sweet. Cannolo, Cassata and other Sicilian specialties also pack well-balanced flavors and textures. The shop across the street from the café stocks pretty much all Fiasconaro offerings of the season, at lower prices. The unboxed versions of panettone or colomba are excellent deals. Bring empty suitcases! To summarize, Pasticceria Fiasconaro of Castelbuono is an almost magical place that transports the guests beyond those pretty boxes in upscale department stores and into a land of bountiful charms that somehow successfully merges both provincial Sicilian character and refined elegance. A pilgrimage destination for all pastry & dessert lovers.

The panettone was incredibly tasty — soft, fresh, and full of flavor. Ideal place to sit, enjoy your coffee, and taste some panettone with manna. The staff was really friendly.

This place on its own makes your visit to Castelbuono worth it ( not that the town doesn’t deserve it, because it’s a very lovely town). Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. From panetone to gelato and even their coffee. Please don’t miss it, just come here if you are around. On top of everything, the stuff was super nice, they even gifted a mini panetone to our daughter.

Absolutely a treat and such an amazing experience ❤️ I know the brand already from before but being in their (coffee)shop was another level of joy. We had free samples, so fresh, delicious. The cornettino with pistachio cream was from heaven, also the one with tomato and mozzarella was quite fresh and interesting. Got panettone with us home and was super fresh and delicious 🌟 a huge plus that we can buy all the delicious stuff without packaging because then less garbage if it’s not for a present. In general, every person who enjoys a good panettone or colomba has to visit this place at least once 😍😍😍🌟🌟👏

I literary go there every day of each stay in Castellomare,the ice cream is so tender and creamy that it’s hard to stop eating. Granito is also superb. A lot of love to the stuff of Vernaci, you can feel the love to the ice-cream from every single one of them!

Love this place. Tourism can be so simple. Perfect place to watch people in the immaculate backdrop of the cathedral. Quality is fine, prices more than fair, location considered (Spritz with complementary crisps 6 Euro, water 2 Euro). Service quick and helpful.

The canoli and bread with chocolate chips tasted so good! The creme in canoli was so fresh with citron or orange based scent. Although the bar was quite busy in the morning, it seemed like it was connected to some accomodation nearby, so groups of people visited which led to queues.

Actually didn’t get a cannoli, but we did get a bombe and cartoccio and they were really good. Soft and sugary and the ricotta in the cartoccio was delicious. Also got a lemon granita and the flavor was delicious. Service was nice and friendly.

Best canolo I have ever eaten! We drove over 30+ minutes everyday during our 8 day stay in western sicily for our fix. filling is so fresh you can take the grass the cows were munching on! Your time in San Vito lo Capo is not complete until you stop here to stuff your face.

If you are in Ortigia, you cannot miss Pasticceria Artale. Their cannolo is simply unforgettable – the shell is perfectly crisp and delicate, while the ricotta filling is creamy, fresh, and full of authentic Sicilian flavor. It’s the perfect balance of texture and taste, not too sweet, just perfect. The pasticceria itself is welcoming and full of tempting pastries, but the cannolo truly stands out as one of the best I have ever had. The staff are friendly and take great pride in their craft, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

My favourite granita I've had in Sicily so far! The brioche was so fresh and warm. The staff was lovely and suggested I try a mix of almond and pistachio - delicious.

Good breakfast, nothing mind-blowing. The cannoli are massive, maybe even too much (I’ve never seen them so big to be honest). Everything was good and prices were fair, but it just felt like a normal breakfast you could have anywhere in Italy, nothing really special.

If you want to eat traditional breakfast, this is the right place. 2 capuccinos, brioche, granita were all together 8 euros. Best granita in Ortigia!

I tried canollo here, and it was delicious! One of the best, or maybe even the best that I've had in my life. I've been to Italy many times and I like canolli, so I tried them a lot. Here the ricotta filling was so fresh!

Didn’t get the hype about this place. Felt like a tourist trap. Both gelato and granita are extremely sweet, we couldn’t finish them. Granita tasted like artificial slush. A huge selection of interesting flavors to choose from, what a shame that all you taste is just pure sugar. Signs outside with awards and queues raise your expectations and then it’s such a disappointment. Not worth the calories. The service is friendly and they even spoke a few words in Maltese. We tasted strawberry granita, pistachio, hazelnut, ricotta and caramelized figs, mulberry gelato.

Differs a lot depending on the flavours you take. Chocolate for eg, salted caramel, coconut were very good, but cheesecake with red fruit and tiramisu were extremely sweet and had an artificial taste (the cheesecake especially) Friendly and quick service

Very nice Granita, we tried strawberry, chocolate, lemon and pistachio. All are very recommendable. Friendly and patient staff while we tried to communicate in our few words of Italian even though they also speak english. Nice looking gelato too! We didn't try the gelato but witnessed the happy faces of other customers after trying their first spoon of the gelato. Also: the lady serving our granita washed her hands after our cash payment. Should be the standard but people mostly touch dirty money first and then touch the food. So we wanted to point out that in this shop everything was really clean. They also write out all allergens. All in all very friendly staff, good granita, clean shop and nice decor. 10/10 would recommend.

We visited here with our local friends and ate Cipollina and Granita for lunch, it was very tasty. The brioche with Granita is just perfect to finish the meal. I highly suggest the pistachio Granita!

Gran Cafè Solaire has hands down the best granita I’ve ever tasted. tried the pistachio, gelsi (mulberry), and cantaloupe granita at Gran Cafè Solaire — and loved them all! Each one was packed with real flavor, perfectly smooth, and refreshing. The pistachio was rich and creamy, the gelsi tart and fruity, and the cantaloupe light and sweet. Paired with a warm brioche, it was absolute perfection.

One of the best granitas in Aci Trezza. Good variety of tastes and really good overall quality. The facility is not amazing, but decent. If you want a good Granita is definitely the place to go.

Fantastic place, with very affordable prices and with numerous dishes on the menu. Our arancini were delicious, we got some free water (which is not very common in other places) and the staff was nice and helpfull. Not too crowded hence it is great for a calm breakfast, lunch or whatever you are having ;)

I was super excited to try these cannolis due to all the reviews and they were really good but didn’t blow me away. The shell was really good and the chocolate and traditional were my favorite cannolis. We also tried the pistachio and vanilla. If you’re looking for a cannoli in Sicily, so far this one has been the best. Have to give it a try.

Just WOW. I love desserts, and cannoli haven’t usually been a go-to for me—but THESE cannoli changed my mind! The spot is tucked away to the side, but you can’t miss its charm. I wanted an after dinner dessert, this cute small place was close to where I was staying and WOW. Without checking maps first and seeing they have 4.9 of 5, I was surprised. The service amazing, the owner is super nice, he told us this is his father recipe, the woman at the front desk super nice, she was confident that is the best cannoli in town (it is indeed) , good price, big cannolo, super tasty and just amazing. Highly recommend, I had the classic one and it’s just 10 out of 10. Will go back for other flavors ;)

One of the best connolo Ive had in my 45 years on this planet. Fresh made to order. If you are in Taormina take the walk to this place! Traditional is best but the flavors are also great. The owner is so nice and welcoming.

Nice place to try canola or canoli depends on your sweet cravings. They were fresh and tasty. Had ordered mix of traditional ricotta and pistachio fillings in traditional canola shell. Ricotta was nice and fresh and pistachio filling was screaming Pistachio with every bite. And Fillings were not that heavy. Another option we opted which was (difficult to pronounce the name) mix of Nutella and hazelnut. And canola shell was also crisp and not at all oily. Person taking order explained everything clearly which made the selection faster and also got to eat faster. Worth visiting!

Absolute favorite place to eat cannoli in Taormina. Stayed for a week very close to this shop and I have tried a lot of pastry and cannoli shops in town while I was there. I have to say my favorite were Pistachio & Gianduja, but the Ricotta (simple, with fruit or with coconut) is fabulous! The shells were not too hard and the pistachio or chocolate shells pair well with some flavours. The main thing is the sweetness - not too much, not too little, just a perfectly balanced dessert, that made me go back multiple times after eating and strolling around. They will be open until late so perfect for a late night sweet treat. The size is also great, as I have bought some other cannoli which were huge and I could not finish or just way too sugary, which I don’t mind because I do like very sweet desserts, but all fillings here were just the right amount and just sweet enough. If I ever come back I would buy again 10/10

They know how to serve a good granita in Sicily, but this might be the best I have had. Good selection of flavours, fresh ingredients and brioche straight out of the oven. Popular place, heaving with customers, but the service dealt with it.

Loved the place. Fabulous ice cream - “English Soup” flavour was my favourite. They have a special dish called “Crema Del Presidente”, which locals call “Berlusconi’s Balls” - check it out (and get the story that comes with the name) to see why.

Best granita ever!

Visit: 12/05/2023 Two people, for breakfast Amazing pastries and sweets, and one of the best “americanos” ever. A the attendant was so nice! PROS: - incredible pistachio and almonds granitas; - the creamy hot chocolate is rich and full of flavor; - the ricotta cannoli was delicious; - great “americano” coffee; - the attendant and the waitress were very kind; - the ambience is small and cozy; - the menu is really interesting; - prices are ok CONS: - I can’t find one For sure, this is a place you must visit whenever you come to Modica!

The best Modican hot chocolate we had ever tried. We also asked for heavy cream (panna) - fabulous and unforgettable. They’ve got many options and the cornetti tasted fresh and light. We chose to seat inside but I saw that they’ve got many tables outside as well.

TLDR: friendly staff, delicious chocolate and cannoli, decent prices! Originally we just came in for a cannoli, but we ended up leaving with a bag of chocolates! First off- the cannoli itself was really good. They fill them as you order so they don’t get soggy. (But we got them to go and they were still crispy after a couple of hours) the ricotta cream was fluffy but not too sweet, and they were very generous with the pistachio sprinkles. They then offered us some chocolate and hot chocolate samples, and told us a little bit about the history of the cafe and chocolate shop. (You can really tell how proud and passionate they are about their chocolates!) Apparently the father of the cafe owner was one of the chocolate pioneers in Modica, and he still insists on making chocolates by hand to this day. They have a great selection of chocolates at a fair price (tad bit lower than other places in the area). They even sell 100% cocoa chocolates and their hot chocolate powder! Oh, if you haven’t had Modica hot chocolate, I highly recommend it if you like chocolate fudge. They make their hot chocolate with either water or milk, depending on your preference. Milk can be a little too heavy, but it makes a great dipping sauce if you have it with a pastry!

The best Granita/Cremolata in Modica? Yeah, yeah, much debate about this - every place has the best, I know. But this is *good*. Locals swear by it. A lot. Not just the locals - we were there pretty much every day for granita/coffee in the morning, and a couple more during the day 😜 (And yes, the brioche is pretty damn amazing too - just the right texture for dunking)

We had a very complete breakfast with local products. We tried the hot chocolate, Pistacchio croissant, the sicilian cannolo (ricota filling with pistacchio) and their great expresso. All of this for under 10 euros. Great price for very good quailty in Modica's main street. The staff was all super nice and made us feel very welcomed. If you are in Modica, dont look much further!

I discovered what a cremolata was here and then realized it was the best cremolata ricotta Ive had (and believe me I have tried a lot in the south of Sicily). Also the cremolata di limone was top tier.

Best ice cream I had in Sicilia, also you have to taste the pistachio ricotta ( the one on the picture). Really recommended, the travel there is worth it.
