When you think of Sicilian cuisine, the "Cassata del Barone" stands out as a true emblem of indulgence and flavor. This delightful dessert, with its roots tracing back to Arabic and Latin influences, is a vibrant representation of abundance in both color and taste. The preparation is intricate, showcasing an array of fresh ingredients that come together harmoniously.
(Translated by Google) Entering this pastry shop makes you understand that you are in the right place, the scent and colors of the cassatas, but above all the smile of the two boys who work makes everything more special. Kind, thoughtful and always ready to advise you, they immediately point out that you can see that they love what they do. The real jewel of their counter is certainly the cassata, offered in different forms, by the glass or classic, it is clear that behind every cassata there is study, passion and a lot of love. A pastry shop like this is not easy to find!!!! super recommended!!!!

(Translated by Google) The coffee was fantastic, the service excellent, and most importantly, it's a family-run business. Salvatore was an extraordinary host. We were traveling from the United States and found this cafe on our first day in Palermo. We were warmly welcomed by Salvatore. Not only did he serve us, but he also helped us arrange a taxi to our Airbnb. This was our very first experience in Palermo, and it was Salvatore himself who welcomed us into his cafe. Absolutely recommended: 10 out of 10!

Pasticceria Savia is a historic patisserie that has been serving delectable sweet treats, pastries, and savory snacks since 1897. Located on the lively Via Etnea street, it offers an intimate dining experience with terrace seating. The highlight of their menu is the colossal arancini - deep-fried rice fritters filled with tender ragu, cheese, or butter.
The granita is fabulous and they do a mignon brioche which is so cute. Pistachio and fragola granita were outstanding and came with proper panna. The pistachio cornettos are not to my taste overly large and well stuffed but with a pistachio custard, they just are not remotely tasty and not worth it particularly if sitting down and paying the excess. All the cakes were delicious. Average cannoli. Very good arancini also. The staff are lovely particularly the men at the bar and a clean bathroom is kept. Recommmeded.
Dee — Google review
Go early in the morning for the freshly hand-made cannoli. I usually have to take them outside to eat, because the wait for a empty table can be long in the busy season. If you have the time eat them at a table with a nice expresso. The green filled cannoli's are my favorites, I always miss that great taste when I do find one in a Paris bakery.
Device 2 — Google review
I LOVED this cafe. Yes, it was very busy and hard to find a table…. But that’s for good reason. They have great pastries at great prices. I didn’t try their savory, but I’m sure it is also very good. I got their cannoli and a large rum baba filled with pastry cream. Both fantastic! The cannoli had a lighter shell than most I had, which didn’t really make it better or worse in my mind. Just different. The rum baba- oh wow. So delicious! Super moist and flavorful. It’s huge for the price too.

If you want to experience the real Sicily — where tradition, flavor, and soul come together — Savia in Catania is the place to go. From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly fried arancini fills the air — golden, crisp on the outside, and perfectly creamy within. These aren’t just snacks; they’re a piece of Sicilian history, made just as they should be. Every bite reminds you that you’re tasting the original, authentic flavor that locals have loved for generations. And it doesn’t stop there. For something sweet, pair a soft, buttery brioche with the rich, velvety granita — the perfect Sicilian breakfast duo. Add a strong espresso, and you’ll understand why this region’s culinary traditions are so revered. At Savia, every flavor feels like it’s feeding your soul. It’s not just food — it’s heritage, passion, and love served on a plate. Whether you come for the arancino or stay for the dessert, this is a stop no true food lover should miss in Catania.
Danilo M — Google review
This place was recommended to us. Busy with locals, it’s a great place to grab an arancini or cannoli. Get yourself in line to pay first, then wait for your ticket number to be called.
An — Google review
Loved the granita (chocolate and pistachio) and the brioche buns here, super soft with a lovely hint of citrus. We ended up coming back twice just for the granita and brioche! The arancini catanese was good, though the pistachio one was a bit bland despite being freshly made. The wait for a table can take a bit, but the waiters were kind.
Sunny N — Google review
It was recommended to me by my hotel. It was a very good selection of tasty Sicilian food like Arancini, Croissant, sweets, coffee, any many more. I really liked the Cafe al Ginsing, Spinach Arancini, and Pistachio Croissant. Just one drawback is that as this is very popular place, there is sometimes a waiting queue where people sometimes need to stand for say 20mins in peak hours, but it is worth it. Waiters service is good and they speak English. Card payments are accepted.

Bar Pasticceria Spinella is a historic culinary gem in Catania, located on the bustling Via Etnea since 1936. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists, offering traditional local specialties throughout the day. From delicious brioches and treccine to soft-foamed cappuccinos and excellent coffee, it's an ideal place to start your day.
we visited this pasticceria multiple times during our stay in catania. Everything they have is very delicious and fresh and probably the best cannoli in catania. We would definitely come back!

We were here on a Sunday late morning for a Sicilian breakfast sitting outside, staff of outside is nice the rest inside at the counter and for the payment not, many things were not available for example pistacchio croissant, so we had something else, espresso coffee with milk very burnt ( when the coffee machine it’s too hot ) horrible, we had two croissant mini one empty and the other with something similar to Nutella that was not Nutella, the croissant dough dry with no butter, granita too liquid like a fruit juice, price are really high, I don’t think we will be back, there are other places in which breakfast it’s yummier
Luc G — Google review
Tasty sweets. We’ve ordered: - torta alle fragole (4€): tasty, delicate sponge cake, not so sweet - annolo ricotta (4€): delicious - café cappuccino (2,80€): you can find better in Catania
Krzysztof G — Google review
The negative reviews are extremely exaggerated. I loved the staff here, very friendly and courteous service despite me speaking little Italian. The pistachio cornetto the best I found within the city core. Excellent granita also. Recommended!

Pasticceria Verona & Bonvegna is a renowned and long-standing establishment known for its traditional Italian pastries, creamy desserts, cassata, and gelato. Specializing in treats made with ricotta, baba, pastry cream, chantilly, and fruit cakes like the incredible wild strawberry one. The bakery also offers almond paste cookies and delicious gelato flavors such as pistachio served in perfect brioches.
Great place to taste the real Sicilian pastries. You will most likely wait in a queue with a lot of people, it's busy as hell, but the staff somehow manages it. Try the cannoli, we liked the ones with pistaccio cream the most. Whatever you order, you will not regret. Be prepared that it is a take-away place, no tables.

In addition to the excellent quality of the cakes, despite the very busy environment, all the staff assist customers with respect and patience something I have never seen in other places.

Authentic and well priced paticceria, got one cannoli and strawberry torta for 5.50€ both were outstanding. Highly recommend!
Laura J — Google review
Was lucky enough to come by when there were only a handful of people there. Had three different pastries - including a cannoli - they were all excellent! I doubt you could go wrong choosing here.

We have tested all the top ‘cassate’ according to the scattidigusto.it website. We are slightly disappointed by this one, I doubt about the quality of the ingredients. We have asked for the ingredients list of the ‘cassata’ and the ‘pasta reale’, surprisingly they were unable to provide it. There are no tables to taste their patisserie, but they provide plastic forks and plates to enjoy the sweets in a park not so far from the shop.

A very modest-looking place, but reputedly the best in Catania. Delicious cakes, and excellent ice cream. They were very candid and helpful about revealing ingredients of particular items (for dietary needs). Luckily, we went at a quiet time and did not wait for service. I have heard that sometimes the line can be quite long. Highly recommended.

Pasticceria Irrera 1910 is a renowned pastry shop in Messina, Sicily, known for its century-old tradition of creating local delicacies. Gelato tastes good in general but it melts so fast so we'd better be hurry. Mine was 2.8e. I tried cookie cream something and pear, it's not too sweet. The staff are really nice and helpful. The store looks cute too.

After witnessing the 12 o'clock bells ring at Cathedral Messina, we found our way to this wonderful shop for a traditional sicilian coffee granita with brioscia. The whipped cream, icy coffee crystals, accompanied by the perfect brioche was a nice way to cap off a quick few hours in the port! We also tried the cannoli, and its the best ive ever had! That same whipped cream is so enjoyable, and the pastry shell is light and crispy! I also had to try the life-like Cherry pastry! Everything is delicious and thoughtful. The barristas are all so kind and helpful! We will come back!

Great coffee shop The sweet and the coffee maybe the one of the best in Italy ❤️👍 Dont miss the chocolate canolli Because it might be the best canolli in Italy
DR.Shehab G — Google review
During our trip to Messina, my daughter and I visited Pasticceria Irrera 1910, and it was a delightful experience. The service was quick and welcoming, and the food was outstanding. We tried a variety of traditional Sicilian pastries and drinks: Cannolo Siciliano: The classic, with a perfectly crispy shell and rich, creamy filling. Brioche: Soft and slightly sweet, perfect with granita. Maritozzo con Fragole: A delightful pastry with cream and strawberries. Iris al Forno: Baked pastry filled with sweet cream, lightly dusted with sugar. Granita al Pistacchio con Panna: Refreshing pistachio granita with whipped cream.Espresso: Strong and well-balanced, complementing the pastries perfectly. A tip: most items can be ordered in small (piccolo) or large (grande) sizes, so you can sample more. Everything was prepared to perfection, making this a must-visit spot in Messina for lovers of Sicilian pastries.
Rudi T — Google review
Yes…visit here for fantastic pastries. A friend who grew up in Messina recommended this place. It is very popular and was busy on a quiet Sunday. All the other surround shops were closed except for this place. We had the Fragola, Cannolo Ricotta and feta torta Piccola. All at my friend’s recommendation. Each were delicious and different. I gave up trying cannoli, even from some famous shops in Boston, because none come close to Sicilian cannoli. I’m ruined because they are so beautifully prepared here. I don’t know if I will return to Messina, but if I do I will return to Irrera. Oh yes, and all the desserts and a water totaled $13 Euro. A steal.

Caffè Europa is a renowned coffee shop in Catania, Sicily, frequented by locals and tourists alike. It offers a wide array of traditional Sicilian delicacies such as iris, raviole con la ricotta, panzerotti, cornetti with pistachio cream, cassate, and cannoli. This charming café allows visitors to enjoy a Sicilian breakfast 365 days a year with the best granite and brioche.
Caffè Europa is a cozy and lively café in Catania with a wide selection of gelato, pastries, cakes, and croissants. Everything is beautifully displayed at a large counter, and you can either sit inside, on the spacious covered terrace, or at the open-air tables. The staff is friendly and service is fast. You can choose your treat inside or scan the QR code on your table to view the menu. It's also perfect for grabbing something sweet to take home. A great spot for a relaxing break!

Caffè Europa has a very nice location and offers two types of service: you can sit at a table, be served, and pay a service charge, or you can choose directly from the display, pay at the cashier, and avoid extra costs. It’s important to note that with the self-service option you cannot sit outside, only at the tables inside – that’s their policy. As for the products, the espresso wasn’t really to my taste, and the desserts I tried were a bit too sweet. Overall, though, it was an okay experience.

AMAZING Arancino! Best of my trip in Sicily. My husband had a Ragu and a had a spinach. They were so moist and delicious. I was unable to find one that was as good the rest of my trip. As far as the other items we tried- the Spritz and aperitivo options and the mini cassata cake and mini cannoli. Those weren’t bad but didn’t blow me away. The cassata was not great in the mini form as once you got through the heavy sugar coating, there wasn’t much left on the inside. And for the price of the tiny cake… two bites was not really worth it. The cannoli was good, just didn’t really love it in the mini form because I prefer the filling ratio of a large cannoli. The service we received from a counter attendant that spoke English was phenomenal! He was so patient and answered all my questions.

We were returning here almost every day for our coffee break during our vacation in Catania, Ognina. Each time we were served in style and very fast. + waiters had patience with our bad language. Not a sweet tooth, but once I had a bite of my son's cannolo and it was so fresh and delicious I was blown away! Yummy!! (Have tried them afterwards elsewhere but they were not even nearly that good). Children say their granitas with brioche were also great. And croissants with pistachios, omg...🤤 Me and my husband enjoyed sitting in Caffe Europa, having a good coffee, observing locals(by the bar-cheaper, or at the tables) and just feeling the pulse of this side of Catania. I do think Caffe Europa is their local meeting point. European prices. Recommended. Pleasant memories. ✨

"I Dolci di Nonna Vincenza" is a renowned pastry shop named after Paolo and Alessandro's mother, where they proudly continue the family tradition by offering authentic flavors of Sicily. The original store is located in Catania, Sicily, but it has been replicated in Rome for many years. This authentic Sicilian establishment is famous for its well-made cannoli and offers a variety of other traditional Sicilian sweets featuring pistachios, walnuts, almonds, or hazelnuts.
Stopped by for a quick cannolo and espresso, and it was amazing! Definitely the best cannolo I've had so far. The girl recommended the one with pistachio and ricotta. It was nice and creamy, the shell crunchy, and not sweet at all which I prefer. Will definitely come back here for more!
Elwin L — Google review
We had the opportunity to visit Catania this trip and stayed at Liberty Hotel. As a welcome gift they had this almond cookies for us in the room. Their cookies filled with marzipan and they were absolutely delicious. We went to the store and is a beautiful setup. I can't remember the name of the girl that took care of us but even with the language barrier she was pleasant, friendly and great customer service. Everything she gave us to try was delicious. We got some cookies to bring back home to our daughter and 20 days later the cookies are still fresh and taste delicious. If you like sweets I highly recommend this place!

Excellent gelato, maybe the best in town, especially dark chocolate and hazelnut. Other gelaterias pale in comparison. Nice homemade almond milk. Very friendy and kind servers.
Lou L — Google review
This review was saved by the samples of almond cookies (croccatino di mandorla). I think it might have been better if I came earlier in the day. Like others have commented, there was a single employee and they just plucked a chocolate coated Cannolo from the fridge. Unfortunately my Italian wasn't good enough to ask for a fresh one. The Cannolo itself wasn't bad. The ricotta had good flavor but I didn't love the chocolate-covered interior. I know the covering is there to prevent the biscuit from getting soggy but this wouldn't be a problem if they were filled on demand.

We had high hopes for this place but we got disappointed. While other places in the vicinity were full and crowded this one was almost empty. This was a sign that something was not right, but anyway we ate some cannoli and they were just average. There was only one employee, which was enough considering the lack of customers. I guess this place was either good in the past or it has the good rating due to better service in their other stores.

Bar La Sorgente is a delightful gem that showcases the best of Sicilian pastry, particularly renowned for its cannoli and cassatelle. The cannolo, often hailed as the king of Sicilian desserts, features a crispy fried shell filled with fresh ricotta and can be enhanced with various ingredients like candied orange peel or chocolate chips. Originally crafted for carnival celebrations, this treat has become a beloved staple in Italian cuisine worldwide.
One of the best patisseries you will find in the Trapani province. Cassatella is a must here, trays with warm ones always available just off the frier. Great selection of other sicilian pastries too. I recommend the Genovese with cream or ricotta and the flavour rum ricotta peach. If you prefer savoury dishes, they offer an entire selection of panini, arancini, pizzette, calzoni, etc. The downside here is the long wait at the cashier due to the popularity of the place.

If you want to experience the chaotic yet organised Sicilian busy pastry shop experience , then this is your spot. Open the whole day , this shop provides great quality pastries as well as nice savoury sandwiches and great breakfast croissants. Everyone seems very hard working and they keep up with a huge workload daily. Hats off to them as they are doing a great job. It is very informal and rustic ( you might even witness a fight between staff members while coping with a busy service , but hey, this is the proper cafè experience). High recommended for quality Sicilian food !!

This bar was recommended to us by the owner of a B&B in Palermo on our way to San Vito Lo Capo. Everything we bought there was excellent. Therefore, we will continue to recommend it.

"I Segreti del Chiostro" is a hidden gem located within the Chiesa di Santa Caterina d'Alessandria, paying homage to the age-old tradition of crafting pastries in convents. The shop offers an array of traditional Sicilian treats such as cassata, cannoli filled with fresh ricotta cream, almond and pistachio cookies, and intricately hand-painted marzipan fruits.
It was an experience that I definitely can’t forget during our vacation in Palermo. It is very difficult to easily find here for someone who doesn’t hear. You enter through the door of a monastery, the attendants guide you and then you find the place you want to reach thanks to the smell of the bakery. I ate the most beautiful cannoli I’ve ever tasted in a perfect courtyard. I don’t want to talk too much so that the beauty of this place is not spoiled, but on the other hand, I want everyone to experience it 🥹Definitely recommended. PS: It is very possible that there is a queue.
Ş T — Google review
After seeing this place online we had to give it a try and I wasn’t disappointed! This cannoli is the BEST one I ever had that now I don’t want cannoli’s around where I live anymore lol. The line was about 15-20 min wait and like many say, you can share one because it’s so big. No place to really sit and eat at the garden because there’s lots of people doing the same thing. The system of lines is controlled and appreciated.
Krammer A — Google review
We joined the very long line at the famous I Segreti del Chiostro while in Palermo. This shop inside the Santa Caterina Monastery prepares pastries using ancient recipes passed down from the nuns. I tried the pistachio cannoli — crisp shell, creamy filling, and perfectly balanced sweetness, though for me it was massive (honestly, too big!). Staff were friendly and patient despite the line. Overall, a must-stop if you love authentic Sicilian pastries from an iconic institution. Saluti
Frank F — Google review
Probably was once only a local place, thanks to online reviews much busier. Waited almost 20 mins to order but it was worth it! Cannolo was HUGE and gratefully shared. I had to try the minne di virgini - very different with chocolate pieces inside and cloves and cinnamon flavors in a marzipan-like filling. We visited the church first and had a chance to see the monastery and climb to the rooftop, but this is not required to get to the dolceria.
Jessica R — Google review
Once you arrive at the entrance it’s a short walk up stairs and down the hallway. There was a line, it took 10-ish minutes and then you’re inside with your number. Once your number is called you quickly place your cannoli order and desserts. The process was too overwhelming for me personally but I think it’s a great place to try many Sicilian desserts for a fair price. The cannoli was too sweet for me, it’s also huge so I recommend splitting it between 2 people. The marzipan was really nice! The fountain area where one can sit was crowded. Overall a nice experience but one could also skip it if they’ve tried Sicilian desserts before
Nia M — Google review
If you want to eat at the “birthplace” of the cannoli, this is the place to come. Tasty desert, including cannoli’s and a lot of varieties of desserts. We went in off-season (middle of October) and there was a bit of queuing, but not terrible, 15-20 minutes of waiting. Queues are organized and it moves pretty fast. Also there is an interior garden to sit and enjoy the desert
Sanyes — Google review
Very unique location and ambiance. The cannolis here are big and well done but the filling is a little on the sweet side and not as delicate and creamy ricotta as those we had at top places in Catania. To us the Catania style was superior.
Michael S — Google review
Lovely cannolis. We grabbed one with pistachios and ate it in the small courtyard within the church. We waited in a line for around 5 minutes before a man at the door gave us a ticket with a number which the ladies call when it's your time to order. A very efficient system but make sure you know what you want to order quickly! €4 for the cannoli. You could definitely share with a friend! Would return.

Cannoli is a must-try when visiting Sicily, as it is the iconic sweet symbol of the region. These delectable pastries consist of a crispy tube filled with a creamy ricotta cheese-based filling, sometimes flavored with pistachio or blood orange. When in Palermo, visitors can indulge in local flavors by sampling cannoli from various restaurants, street vendors, and peddlers in the historical center.
So glad we stumbled upon this on the main walking street! It was our first cannoli of the trip and many more to come. The size is generous but not sickening because the ricotta cream is delicious and not too sweet! The hazelnut ricotta cheese cream was addictive and the large size is only 3 euros! Worth a stop
Karen T — Google review
Oh my god, this cannoli place is a must try. There are five different filling and topping options and they fill them freshly upon order. I had a small one orange ricotta filling with pistachios and orange topping, and it was heavenly. My friends were super happy with what they ordered. They also serve granite and ice creams. I’m definitely going back today to try other options.
HJLee — Google review
The gluten free cannoli are what I was hoping for and they are delicious. The service is nice too. I’m putting one star as the gluten free went from 3.80 to 4.50€ in a week! 20% inflation for us gluten free people. So I put one star hoping the owner will revise this price policy .

Probably the best cannoli we had during our trip! Fresh, crispy, and very sweet. Definitely recommend sharing one portion between two people if you don’t want to go into a sugar coma 🙂 Highly recommended!

THE BEST place to get a dessert in Palermo! when we first tried the cannolo on our week-long trip, we then visited it every single day. the brioches are always fresh, granita sweet and refreshing and the cannolo was the best we had! super kind staff! very generous portions, well worth the price. must visit if you have a sweet tooth
Wojciech G — Google review
Best Cannoli I have ever tried. This is probably one of the best places in Sicily to try cannoli and if you come to Palermo you must stop by. The shell is crunchy but not too hard, just perfect, and they have different fillings to choose from and toppings to add on the sides. The fillings are also spot on, creamy but not overly sweet, just perfect. I tried the classic, pistachio, and hazelnut. I could not fault any! Also, a very good touch, if you are allergic to nuts, they will prepare yours at the back to avoid any potential cross contamination.

classic cannoli was good choice. cannoli filled in front of you, mine was with ricotta cheese and I chose pistachio topping and sugar powder. I had cannoli before and this one was really good. Ordered Mezze maniche artigianali alla Norma which is handmade short pasta with tomato, fried eggplant, basil, and ricotta salata - and it was delicius! Lovely, slightly larger cafè and restaurant on a very pleasant commercial street, an extension of Via Emmanuelle towards the bay. Wonderful coffees and pastries, and a nice looking but simple menu with a little something for everyone, including salads. I went back to try their Caesar Salad and it was terrific; lots of most chicken, crispy lettuce and the right amount of tasty dressing. Has both indoor and outdoor seating. They take care of you with good service and good food!

We stopped at this bakery, and I'm so happy we did! Their cannoli is out of this world. I've been eating cannoli all over Palermo for the past few days, and this was honestly the best one I've had. Nestled in the charming alleys of Ballaro market, Pasticceria Porta Sant'Agata di Trentacoste Cristian is a delightful gem that showcases the best of Sicilian pastry. We discovered this pastry shop by accident. The cakes and biscuits looked delicious, we went in and the young man that served us was very helpful and took time to explain the ingredients to us in English. We bought quite a lot, they were superb. The prices were a honest price, not the inflated prices you see on the main shopping street. We are going back tomorrow to buy a few gifts. AMAZING gelato! I chose this place randomly when I was craving some ice cream, and I kept visiting it till the end of my trip to Palermo. Pistachio gelato is the best and no one can convince me otherwise, but nocciola (hazelnut) was also top notch. I would also recommend trying gelato in a brioche for a true Sicilian experience 🍨 The brioche itself was soft and delicious as well! 1 portion of gelato in copetta (cup) 1,80€ Gelato in brioche 2€ 100% recommend ❤️

Absolutely fantastic little pastry shop. It was not the easiest to find, and i almost gave up. Google maps walking navigation is not the best. But once the hard work of finding the place was over, yowza! Superlative fresh artisanal pastry at supermarket prices. It's at least half the price of the touristy stuff on Via Maqueda. Far too much sugar. We were looking forward to try a cannoli in Sicily and this was a recommended place. We are not big Sweet lovers but we love to try new sweets and pastries when we travel. This was far too much sugar on it. If you like your sugar you will love it! If not keep away! We feel a bit less sugar would let the ricotta and the fruit flavour to pop up a bit more. The staff makes this place really nice! 3 stars only because the overdose of sugar!

Laboratorio is better...there, I said it! I love to join a crowd. Most of the time, it works out as well as 19yo Arnold Schwarzenegger's first muscle bulging contest. I can't say this was a fail. My cannolo was pretty good. It wasn't even the usual coma sweet...only punch drunken. Only thing is, I chose it because everything else looked about as tempting as a hot chocolate at the beach. And I'm a guy that will finish a coma inducing cannolo, at speed, so I don't pass out before I finish it. I will take another swing and update. I did. If anything I'd lower my rating. Cassatta is good, not great. The stuffed and soaked red stale don't thing would be great, if I still smoked pot. Nothing wrong with it. But laboratorio 5 minutes away is way better.

We went 3x in 24 hours because this place is THAT GOOD. Roberto the owner is so kind - the business has been in his family for 40+ years and now he runs it with his son. Delicious pastries!!! We loved the pastes - especially the naturale. The limone strudel was also delicious. Don’t miss this place!!!

When you are in Italy, you must try Cannoli of course! There is a bunch of sweets there but I only got Cannoli with 2 flavors: pistachio and almond. It is so good! It is pretty huge, can be shared for 2 people.

Came across this lovely little spot while strolling down the main street. The authentic Italian-style bakery immediately caught my attention and it did not disappoint! The lady behind the counter was so friendly and kindly explained the different types of pastries. I went with the almond paste , and she even showed me another almond variation. The pastry was absolutely delicious. Mildly sweet, perfectly gooey on the inside, and filled with that wonderful aroma of almond ☺️

The cannoli are tasty, however I feel we were “tricked” by the labelling of the almond pastry. The label simply has “2 Euros” so we assumed it was per weight as most pastries are in Italy. The attendant kept encouraging us to buy the almond pastry for family and friends etc. When we got to the cashier, she whispered the total price was “109 Euros”’ for 3 boxes of almond pastry, 2x cannolis & 2x bottles of water. 😳 it was too late by then, they differently take advantage of tourists!! I bet she whispered the price because she didn’t want the other customers to hear!!! BEWARE OF THE ALMOND PASTRIES THE SHOP ATTENDANTS WILL KEEP TELLING YOU TO TRY IT. THEY NEED TO CHANGE THEIR PRICE LABEL TO MAKE IT CLEAR ITS 2 EURO PER PEIECE. Taking advantage of tourists is not acceptable

I don’t usually love cannolis but this was exceptional! Great staff and the pastries were also delicious.

Bar D'Ambra is a charming pasticceria located in Lipari, offering a delightful setting to enjoy various moments of the day. From breakfast to aperitivo, and even merenda, this artisanal spot provides a tranquil haven with picturesque views of the port. Guests can savor delicious granitas, coffee, and treats like brioche con gelato while watching dive boats and local children at the harbor. The establishment occasionally features live music for added entertainment.
Had the best granita and a brilliant sandwich here. Great location on the harbour. Went back on another day for another granita it was so good.

Lovely location for a snack and drink after a long day walking. Nice views, quite quiet but service is speedy and friendly. 5 stars for a small board of snacks and zero cover charge. That's a huge positive and so offering a tip was a pleasure rather than having it taken from you even if the service is bad. Other restaurant owners take note. Grazie 🇮🇹

Surprise yourself in the late afternoon when you just order a beer and a lemon granita and the staff also bring you a bowl of olives some nuts crisps and some mini pizzas or another little snack on the house. Look at the photos. It's really relaxing to sit and watch dive boats go in and out with a nice cappuccino, and see some of the local children catching an octopus from the harbour in front of you. Our favourite pit stop in Lipari! Tucked away in an alley, away from all the chaos around Marina Corta, they offer a tranquil haven to enjoy some wonderful coffee. There are also plenty of treats to tempt you, including the Sicilian favourite "brioche con gelato" (ice cream sandwich).

Cute spot on the water with boats bobbing and water gently waving back and forth. Service is quick, they take credit cards, and the desserts and drinks we had were yummy. I thought the “deconstructed” Cannoli would be interesting but best to stick with the original.

Pasticceria Maria Grammatico is a renowned pastry shop in Sicily, founded by the eponymous Maria who learned her craft as a baker during her time as a cloistered nun. The shop, which has been thriving for over half a century, offers an array of delectable treats such as cassatelle, lingue di suocera, genovesi, fruit tarts, and cannoli.
Our tour of Sicily and the salt flats stopped here for a dessert tasting. Staff was very pleasant and the treats were delicious

Stopped by Maria Grammatico’s pastry shop in the morning while walking around Erice. It’s a small, quiet place with outdoor seating and a nice view — perfect for a cappuccino ☕ and something sweet This is a well-known bakery that’s been around since the 1960s, when Maria started it after learning how to make traditional Sicilian pastries from nuns I had a cassatina, a slice of ricotta cake, and a few small sweets. All were good, though a bit too sweet for my taste — but that’s typical of Sicilian desserts 😅. I noticed the place gets quite busy later in the day, with people lining up and buying pastries to take home as gifts A lovely local spot that’s definitely worth trying if you’re in Erice 💛.

Simply the best sweets in Sicily. Whatever you will pick you will be shocked by it's taste! Prices are OK, usually there is a line to get them but it's totally worth unless it goes out the shop which means like 1h + of wait. But if you got time do it, it's worth. Genovese is the main sweet here, but go ahead and try each one.

Delicious pastries and coffee. Beautiful seating in an atrium garden. Tree provides shade. Pricing doesn't hurt your wallet. Staff helped me pick pastries. I give this place an autistic stamp of approval.

The desserts here were amazing – the pastries were still warm and incredibly tasty. However, I was quite surprised that the cappuccino was served in a plastic cup. I’ve never seen hot coffee like that before, and unfortunately, it was more like warm milk without any foam. A great place for sweets, but the coffee experience needs improvement.

Erice's best known and most Traditional Sicilian pastry shop with the personality of its founder Maria Grammatico following the convent recipes she learned while young when being raised at a Franciscan convent in Erice and expanded with new findings. Well known all over the world. The book she published, ' Bitter almonds' telling her memories and explaining her main recipes has become a classic, I bought the original version in English at the pastry shop, they also offer a translated Italian version. Very busy in season, but always a great place to enjoy Sicilian pastries with authentic local ingredients and a distinct personal touch, this shops helps to better understand the Sicilian universe of pastries and sweets with Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Norman, Arab, Spanish, especially from the convents and Swiss influences in what has come today a unique pastry culture in the world

Even though it’s in a very busy and touristic area, I was not disappointed! We had 3 Aperol Spritz (10€ each) and they brought some small snacks which were nice! If you are in the old center of Catania and you want a quick Aperol with some bites, it’s not a bad option.

Don’t go here! We went there on a Saturday morning and we had to wait 30 minutes to order. The place was well visited, but I think it was just that the staff were so slow and not paying enough attention to the tables. My friend had the brioche with mulberry & pistachio granita. She liked it. Apparently, this cafe is specialized in sweets and desserts. I ordered ham and cheese panini and it was pathetic. I wish I took a photo of the sandwich. I don’t recommend this place at all unless you are willing to wait to place your order for 30+ minutes.

Pasticceria Cappello is a renowned pastry shop located in the historic city center of Palermo. Originally opened as a dairy in the 1940s, it has evolved into a famous pastry shop known for its delectable creations.
This place was very busy on Christmas and for a reason, I saw so many beautiful pastry platters arranged in front of my eyes each more enticing than the other. Draw a number at the entrance and wait for your turn, order, pay at the cashier and pick up your carefully packed sweets. Sfogliata with ricotta was my favourite, super crispy layers and balanced ricotta cream. The pistachio petit fours was also amazing. House chocolate bars with pistachio and other nuts or dried fruit also available at the cashier desk.

Delicious pastries! The tiny gelato sandwich and delizia pistachio cake were so tasty. And the cannolicchio was perfect! Great coffee too.
Julia W — Google review
After trying many cannolis in Palermo, I can confidently say this was by far the best. In addition to their amazing cannolis, we sampled a variety of mignons and an iris — and everything was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was wonderful too, filled with local workers grabbing a quick bite and kids returning from school, which made it feel genuinely authentic. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. We had food elsewhere in Palermo that was half as good for twice the price. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting — I honestly wish I could eat here every day.
Lovrog0 — Google review
While the cakes themselves were nice, the man who served us was rude. Obnoxious clearly into his phone more than serving us and being somewhat stuck up with my friend's best attempt to speak Italian seemingly consistently misunderstanding which cake she wanted, one or two pieces of. He then proceeded to play with his phone as he was half wrapping our package and generally seemed just annoyed at our existence. The taste of cakes was definitely not worth the attitude that we were given in this place

I have been coming to this ice cream shop for years and just decided to review it. I usually like the ice cream and today ordered a pistachio granita and brioche which was OK. What I didn't love was the attitude of one of the staff. Everyone I have met here is usually very nice but I seemed to have annoyed this person by just asking her a question about paying. The location is very central in Marina and the outdoor seating was in the shade which was appreciated. With so many good ice cream shops in the area it isn't necessary to go here if you want great ice cream.

We had toasted almond and pistachio granita with Brioche, Cappuccino and filled Cornetto. The Brioche was good and my partner liked the cornetto which was average to me. Granita was ok, very watery and to sweet compared to others. Service inside is friendly and helpful. Waiter outside keeps dropping trash and plastics and is to lazy to pick the trash up that is consequently blown into the nearby ocean. Water is served in single use plastic cups. Didn't the EU probihit single use plastics for a good reason? View is really beautiful with direct view of the beach and ocean. Prices are low and at average italian level, despite the very touristy characteristics of the area. Experience was ok overall but we will not return.

Amazing cannoli! Amazing ice cream! I loved the coffee and other pastries as well. I didn’t see the reviews before going there now I went online to give the best review for the whole island Lipari. I don’t understand how come it has only 2.2 stars out of 5. For me and my family this has been the best pasticceria in Lipari. We’ve tried other few ones but this one has taken our heart and our stomachs as well. We’ve gone there the last 3 days of our stay, since it seems like we’ve found the best one now. Price-wise is not the cheapest but I was not aiming for cheap instead I went for full quality pastry. We definitely recommend it and would always return.

We will honestly miss this place & be back on our next vacation! Everything we tried was excellent. Yes, it’s slightly on the upper price range, but really not by much—especially when you consider the quality of the products and the fact that you’re on an island… Of course, we recommend the granita and brioche (a classic combo), but we also sampled most of the morning pastries and none of them disappointed. The pistachio croissant is a killer—absolutely delicious. The terrace, while close to the main street, is set back enough that it doesn’t feel like you’re close to the road. It had a relaxed, holiday vibe that we really appreciated.
Bianca O — Google review
An institution here in Lipari. Very good granita and brioche, however the service is really awful and this drives the poor rate. The older waitress has no manners. I’ve kindly asked for a bottle of water, she snorted saying “one moment!” and the bottle never arrived. I struggled to get a coffee before the rest of the order. Very disappointed that a popular place as this one doesn’t care about service and professionalism to customers.

I’m shocked by all the bad reviews. Yes, it is expensive. But the treats and espresso and service were all amazing—we went back two days in a row. The cassata Siciliana was to die for!

After reading the lonely planet guidebook where this place was mentioned as a must go - I wanted to try. The prices are elevated but this is an island so... The service was average but this was the worst granita I have tried in Sicily. And the restroom can be opened by a key which need to be asked from the staff - and the conditions of the restroom is awful (smell and dirt). Find another place.
Tímea — Google review
We had one tiramisu, one pistachio cheesecake, and an eolina, or something like that,, local pastry with almonds… two coffees, and one bottle of water for 23 euro. Very expensive and they charge you service. Desserts were ok, but service was very questionable, and actually very confusing to place an order… also the waitress was upset because I asked to change table since the one we chose was besides the trash bins and there were flies flying by. Perhaps it’s the Sicilian way, very disappointing…

Two coffee and 3 scoops of gelato-19 euros. While choosing flavors we were offered to sit and wait for gelato and coffee, but the price is 3 times more if you sit, but no one is explaining it to you. Price on fridge indicates 5 euro, but after you sit it becomes 15. So be aware of the scam!

When you find yourself in Castelbuono, a visit to Fiasconaro is an absolute must. This charming pasticceria, located on the main street leading to the castle, offers a delightful array of sweet treats that will tantalize your taste buds. With two stores facing each other, one specializes in festive Christmas breads while the other showcases an impressive selection of desserts.
Oh mio Dio! This shop immediately caught our eye as we entered the historical center from Piazza Margherita, with their enticing display out front, featuring panettone paired with various spreads. The staff member was incredibly friendly and let us sample almost all of their flavors. We were so impressed that we returned after dinner for some gelato and to purchase their delectable spreads. We had the famous Palermitano Sette Veli and hazelnut, and they were both heavenly. They're also renowned for their Manna hazelnut spread, made with Manna, a natural resin derived from the Madonie ash trees. Highly recommend!

This isn’t just a "famous name" – Fiasconaro truly lives up to its reputation. A fantastic pastry shop offering excellent coffee and outstanding desserts. We tried their signature panettone served with a variety of spreads – the pistachio cream was absolutely delicious. We also sampled a traditional local dessert, Testa di Turco – rich, creamy, and unforgettable, somewhat similar to crème brûlée but with a Sicilian twist. Great atmosphere and top-quality service. If you’re anywhere near Castelbuono, don’t miss it – this is a sweet experience worth going out of your way for.
Veronika — Google review
This is "The Shop" of world-famous Fiasconaro empire, with their flagship café, pasticeria, gelateria, and shops congregating around Fontana di Piazza Margherita at the center of the town of Castelbuono. Many renowned European pastry/dessert brands maintain a shop in their town of origin (like Pasticceria Veneto of Iginio Massari in Brescia), with surprisingly reasonable prices and generous service by proud local staff. Perhaps that's their way of honoring their roots, and this place is no exception. Here, they offer a huge range of Sicilian bakeds goods and others not found elsewhere, and in addition they liberally share samples of panettone or colomba. At the café, the queen on the menu in our opinion is panettone con gelato, where a voluminous portion of their signature Panettone Tradizionale comes with well-paired scoops of gelato. Granita might not have creamy texture but has attractive flavors and not overly sweet. Cannolo, Cassata and other Sicilian specialties also pack well-balanced flavors and textures. The shop across the street from the café stocks pretty much all Fiasconaro offerings of the season, at lower prices. The unboxed versions of panettone or colomba are excellent deals. Bring empty suitcases! To summarize, Pasticceria Fiasconaro of Castelbuono is an almost magical place that transports the guests beyond those pretty boxes in upscale department stores and into a land of bountiful charms that somehow successfully merges both provincial Sicilian character and refined elegance. A pilgrimage destination for all pastry & dessert lovers.

The cornettino with pistachio cream was from heaven, also the one with tomato and mozzarella was quite fresh and interesting. Got panettone with us home and was super fresh and delicious 🌟 a huge plus that we can buy all the delicious stuff without packaging because then less garbage if it’s not for a present. In general, every person who enjoys a good panettone or colomba has to visit this place at least once 😍😍😍🌟🌟👏

Well, that was underwhelming! Went here with admittedly somewhat of an expectation. It was a total bust. Ravioli was fine, but it said meatballs on the menu and came with random pieces of meat. The kids version of the ravioli without meat was still the same price. Pretty steep if you ask me. The seafood pasta my wife had for >>20€ didn’t have much seafood to speak of. We had a beautiful evening here! The fixed price is a great deal and it was great to have a completely vegetarian option. We started with a Sicilian champagne which was recommended by our server and was delicious. All the food and wines were great and service was well paced and attentive.

For a restaurant from “renowned chef” Cicco Sultano, I was massively disappointed. The bread served to us was obviously cut hours before and had started to go dry. Vitello tonnato - the veal was tough, really tough, the tuna sauce tasted nothing like tuna, and a Very synthetic flavour. (Didn’t eat it. Still got charged) Pasta con le sarde was sweet and less than 100g of pasta, maybe the chef used sugar instead of salt 2 x potions of pasta Norma, there was a strange purée that was effectively like having a mouthful of glue. We ordered a second bottle of water that never arrived. A completely underwhelming experience, that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. It’s a restaurant placed to take advantage of unsuspecting tourists. In my opinion. Staff are rude, unwelcoming, and honestly couldn’t care less. 3 pastas 1 water 1 veal tonnato. Was just under €80. Disgraceful.

We had a delicious dinner at I Banchi. It is more expensive than the average restaurant however it’s completely worth it if you want to “treat” yourself one night. That being said the prices are not at all exaggerated for the quality. Everything was very tasty and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The tuna also melted in your mouth. Also very nice staff. Highly recommend!

Caffè dell'Arte is a charming café located in Modica, offering a delightful array of Sicilian pastries and sweets. Established in 1967, this cozy spot is known for its freshly made breakfast treats, including ricotta-filled brioche and coffee granita. The aroma of delicious brioches fills the air as they come straight out of the oven. Visitors can also indulge in local specialties such as cannoli and Modican chocolate.
We were only passing through Modica and stopped for a coffee and breakfast. The croissant with ricotta was amazing. I took the gelato brioche (I'm having gelato brioche every day in different places during our 10-day trip around Sicily 😅). This one was perfect. A bit less Gelato compared to other places but it was super tasty. The coffee was good and everything was less than 10 euros. Oh, they also bring their chocolate and you can spread it over your coffee. Nice touch.

PROS: - incredible pistachio and almonds granitas; - the creamy hot chocolate is rich and full of flavor; - the ricotta cannoli was delicious; - great “americano” coffee; - the attendant and the waitress were very kind; - the ambience is small and cozy; - the menu is really interesting; - prices are ok CONS: - I can’t find one For sure, this is a place you must visit whenever you come to Modica!

The best Modican hot chocolate we had ever tried. We also asked for heavy cream (panna) - fabulous and unforgettable. They’ve got many options and the cornetti tasted fresh and light. We chose to seat inside but I saw that they’ve got many tables outside as well.

TLDR: friendly staff, delicious chocolate and cannoli, decent prices! Originally we just came in for a cannoli, but we ended up leaving with a bag of chocolates! First off- the cannoli itself was really good. They fill them as you order so they don’t get soggy. (But we got them to go and they were still crispy after a couple of hours) the ricotta cream was fluffy but not too sweet, and they were very generous with the pistachio sprinkles. They then offered us some chocolate and hot chocolate samples, and told us a little bit about the history of the cafe and chocolate shop. (You can really tell how proud and passionate they are about their chocolates!) Apparently the father of the cafe owner was one of the chocolate pioneers in Modica, and he still insists on making chocolates by hand to this day. They have a great selection of chocolates at a fair price (tad bit lower than other places in the area). They even sell 100% cocoa chocolates and their hot chocolate powder! Oh, if you haven’t had Modica hot chocolate, I highly recommend it if you like chocolate fudge. They make their hot chocolate with either water or milk, depending on your preference. Milk can be a little too heavy, but it makes a great dipping sauce if you have it with a pastry!

The best Granita/Cremolata in Modica? Yeah, yeah, much debate about this - every place has the best, I know. But this is *good*. Locals swear by it. A lot. Not just the locals - we were there pretty much every day for granita/coffee in the morning, and a couple more during the day 😜 (And yes, the brioche is pretty damn amazing too - just the right texture for dunking)

We had a very complete breakfast with local products. We tried the hot chocolate, Pistacchio croissant, the sicilian cannolo (ricota filling with pistacchio) and their great expresso. All of this for under 10 euros. Great price for very good quailty in Modica's main street. The staff was all super nice and made us feel very welcomed. If you are in Modica, dont look much further!

I went there after few hours of sightseeing. Ordered gelato in brioche. I use to be a pistacchio gelato lover but after I tried their mandorla, I’ve should reconsider my favorite gelato flavor because was wow! Full of crunchy blanched almonds and the brioche? So fresh, flavorful and tasty. I eat it along with glass of prosecco and that was very tasty too. So and so, great experience and refreshment after visiting old part of Siracusa. Worst granita I’ve had in years of travelling Italy. Icy watery tasteless and expensive. €3.50 for a small takeaway cup. So bad I binned it. Once famed now purely for tourists who don’t know better. There is a reason this bar was empty on a Sunday during lunch.

Can't recall its name of this heavenly chocolate boob but it's OFF THE CHAIN !!! The crunchy nutty chocie cover, the delightful vanila. But the triumph; chocolate inside that surely is the byproduct of an illegitimate meeting of Nutella, Ferrero Rocher and Bacio under a dark moonless night. If you place your ear next to it and really focus you can hear the dulcet tunes of Barry White coming from within ...it seriously is that smooth and cool.

Gluten free flavors( not sure about cross contamination). Ricotta and pear gelato has a crunchy almond crisps on it and gf also bachio with hazelnuts. Gluten free cannoli and pistachio cream and brioche. Gf Ice cream cakes in fridge. Ask which is gluten free. Cannot have the seven veil since worker checked and it had gluten. Pasticceria Gelateria D'Amore is a charming bakery and gelato shop that offers a wide array of sweet treats. Their pastry selection features traditional Sicilian pastries like cannoli and cassata, as well as an assortment of cakes and cookies. The gelato flavors range from classic pistachio to more unique options such as prickly pear and fig. Visitors also praise the confectionery for its Easter eggs, cakes, and other seasonal products.
We traveled to Italy for two weeks with children in June/July 2024. That being said, we had gelato pretty much daily. This Gelateria was close to our hotel and one of our tour guides pointed it out to us. We were able to enjoy it on a couple of occasions. It was not crowded and had great selections. And of course... everything we tried tasted delicious. The only bad part is that we only had gelato, they had many other pastries that I wish we tried. We were also able to watch them making pastries. If we are ever in Taormina again we will definitely go here and try more than just the gelato. If you are ever there... don't miss the oppurtunity to check it out.

Best pastry store in Taormina, plus decent Gelato, if stingy amount. Cannoli are second best we had in Sicily, with chocolate and pistacio ends. A huge variety of cookies (sweet/savory) and pastries. Always crowded and a little chaotic in getting an order in. A sensory overload of color and smells and options. No real eat-in options. Well worth visiting and browsing.

Sorry for the length, but it’s a good story. My wife and I, and four other family members, including our 18-year-old granddaughter, travelled to Sicily from Buffalo, NY last July and spent a few days in Taormina. We stopped into Pasticceria D'amore, a cute gelato and sweets shop on a busy corner in the northern section of the city. The store is charming, the people friendly and accommodating, and the gelato wonderful. But the story of our visit begins when our granddaughter’s cherished friendship ring slipped out of her hand and rolled under one of the display cases. As our granddaughter sat sobbing, the folks at the store bent over backwards (literally) to try and retrieve it, spending 20 minutes fashioning cardboard, wire, and paper hooks to try and scoop it out, to no avail. All this while the store was teeming with customers. Finally, we were told that in a few months they would shut down and perform their regular maintenance program and would be better able to do a thorough search. We left Sicily thinking she would never see the ring again. Fast forward six months as our family was waiting to board a flight to Disney World. My phone rang, displaying an international number, and I dismissed the call. Just as I was entertaining the idea that it might have been from the shop, it rang again. Indeed, it was Manuela from Pasticceria Gelateria D'Amore. In the best English she could muster, Manuela said they had found the ring! After several weeks of communicating back-and-forth, our granddaughter’s ring arrived at our house in March this year. You will love this shop and all its treats. We will always remember Pasticceria Gelateria D'Amore for its kindness. Grazie di cuore, Manuela.

Pasticceria Costa is a charming, family-run bake shop known for its gourmet cakes, mousses, and traditional pastries like cannoli. While some visitors find the rosticceria to be expensive and not as fresh as expected, others rave about the deliciousness of the pastries, particularly recommending the iris with ricotta. The menu varies daily, offering a wide variety of treats that cater to different tastes.
A stone's throw from Panificio Graziano, so perfect for dessert. Everything is delicious, so take what your heart tells you. I had the opportunity to go there the day after celebrating Saint Lucia's Day, so I got myself a special, exceptional dessert: cuccìa. NOTE: they also have a branch in the city center, but we didn't have a positive experience there: coffee served in a plastic cup, and the service was unpleasant.

"Absolutely stunning! We ordered the lemon almond cake for our anniversary, and it exceeded all our expectations. It tasted as good as it looked. The freshness of the ingredients was obvious, and the texture was perfect—light, fluffy, and moist, with a beautiful, even crumb. The lemon and almond flavors were bright and balanced, not too sweet. Not sure why this place has less than 4 stars, as long as you are going here for the Riccotta-filled cannoli. This was our FAVORITE cannoli in Taormina. We were told this by a local and we can't refute it. The filling was the lightest and creamiest of all we tried, the pastry was crisp, and we loved how they added candied orange peel into one side and chocolate chips into the other. At 3 Euro per cannoli, with a place to sit down, we could not complain! We went back multiple times. Also, we had no issues with the service or the bill - everything was correct and the servers were so polite and attentive. We can't speak to any of the cakes or coffee, but the cannoli was 10/10. Would highly recommend!

Recently visited for an aperitif with some friends, we tried the new "sprits Manu" and it is awesome 👍🥳🎉🥳🎉 Very nice cannoli , cassata and other little cakes ... I was there with a friend and we shared more then a few individual cakes 🤣..... Coffee is also good 👍 there are also a good selection of drinks have a look on the menu. I choose this bar for breakfast in the morning and coffee and drinks at times in the evening... It can be very busy so be aware of social distancing take a sit and wait to be served it can take while but it's safe ☺️. This bar is on the main Street of Taormina (pedestrian only area) so it's understandable pricey but to me it's well worth it 👍 The service is great and I must say they are really friendly. I recommend it to all you .

A great little coffee shop serving just magical hot chocolate... They have 5 different types. To select from: dark, pistachio, white, normal and another one I forgot... I went with the pistachio and 3 small cakes and it was a perfect sugar hit to keep me running until dinner later.

Your one stop for every Sicilian delicacy ! Be it for a quick lunch or to enjoy a sweet dessert , you are sure to find something to pleasure your palate here. Among the sweet dishes be sure to try the Raviola con Ricotta or the Panzerotto con Ricotta. They are exquisite. Personnel is super friendly. Honest pricing helps too!

Lovely locals hang out but welcoming to tourists also. Great Sicilian pastries, cakes, granite and Illy coffee - affogato specialities too with pistachio and almond.

Caffè Cavallaro is a gem for anyone seeking an authentic Italian café experience while on vacation. This charming spot offers a delightful array of gelato, cakes, and traditional Sicilian sweets that will tantalize your taste buds. From exquisite pastries like fruit tarts and chocolate cakes to the iconic cannoli, there's something for everyone. Don't miss out on their unique Sicilian brioche filled with ice cream, perfectly paired with refreshing granita or sorbet.
This café serves the best coffee, pastries, croissants, and cookies! Every bite is a delight, and their coffee always hits the spot. Definitely a must-visit spot for tasty treats!

Caffè Cavallaro is a lovely spot situated across from Piazza Municipio. The classic Sicilian pastries and sweets are beautifully made and you can tell a lot of care goes into them. The coffee is excellent too, just what you’d hope for in a proper Italian bar. What really stood out though was the granita, absolutely delicious and refreshing, especially on a hot day. It’s clear they know what they’re doing here. A great place to start your morning or take a quiet break in the afternoon.

Fantastic café with good espresso, granita and pastries. Friendly waiter who speaks good English and is happy to give recommendations. Outdoor seating on a beautiful plaza. It is also one of the few places that offers free iced water.

It tastes wonderful! I ate ice cream several times in Italy, but this is really nice compared with others. The staffs are also very friendly! Highly recommended!

It took so long for somebody to came to us, and guy was rude. The Caprese salad is a joke and the lasagna also. Do not go there🤦🏻‍♀️

Better quality of granita comparing to what you can usually find. Don't you dare to call it a slush! ;) A very friendly owner. Spacious and cool place with very calm atmosphere in the middle of a hot and busy day. Would visit again!

Lovely place to visit and have a delicious tasting coffee. They have a good selection of pastries and biscuits to try. My choice, torciglione alla crema👌 The atmosphere is pleasant and peaceful.
