This cafe is such a cute brunch spot! Once you walk inside, the presentation of the drinks and food is amazing. I took the 4 train, which stops right in front of the cafe. I will definitely return to this place if I come back to Zurich.

Great experience at Babu’s. They made fresh gluten free bread with scrambled eggs and bacon - every little bit was delicious. Would recommend to anyone who’s gluten free. My husband had the ‘best salmon bagel’ of his life - and a delicious looking cinnamon roll.

Lovely meal here. We arrived late morning on a Sunday and waited about 35 minutes to be seated. It was worth the wait. The food was delicious. Portion sizes are large and everything tasted very fresh. The drinks were very well made. They have very tasty Dirty Chai Lattes! Although it is very busy our food and drinks came out rather quickly. You can also order coffee and pastries at the pastry counter while waiting for your meal. Lots of pastry and sandwich for take aways. Super easy check out via ordering through your phone. There is a separate line for takeaway orders that make it very easy to stop in for takeaway and not wait in line.

Blueberry pancakes and the avocado bagel were nice. Coffee was great. Busy energetic atmosphere. We lined up but didn’t have to wait too long.

Neat bakery in town! The atmosphere is peaceful, the food is delicious, and the there are plenty of coffees to choose from. Also they do have matcha. In your way out you can buy pastries. To get in is better to have reservation, otherwise you will stay in line for like 5 to 15 minutes.

I recently visited this restaurant during my trip to Switzerland, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The service felt cold and unwelcoming, especially from the young woman with red hair and the bald man — both of whom seemed uninterested and as if they were there against their will. As for the food, it was very average and didn’t live up to the expectations I had based on the location. I truly hoped for a warmer atmosphere and a more enjoyable dining experience, but sadly, that wasn’t the case. This visit left me with no desire to return, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others based on my experience.

Being vegetarian we had to try this place in Zurich. Oldest Vegeterian restaurant in the world and what unique is serving dishes from different cusines across the world! The people were friendly and very accommodating! Definitely recommend this place if you are in Zurich!

Iconic vegetarian restaurant in the city. Splitted between a buffet self-service on the first floor and and normal restaurant on the second floor. Very large choices, from simple salads 🥗 to various grains. Plenty of fruits on offer. Alcohol and other beverages complete the offer. Service is welcoming and friendly.

One of the best restaurants in Zurich. You can choose between buffet or à la carte. The food is incredibly delicious, and they have a lot of homemade drinks to choose from. The staff is very friendly. I recommend it to everyone !

We had a very lovely dinner with the veggie Cordon Bleu and the Steak with fries. Especially the truffle fries were very delicious. The inner yard is also a lovely place to dine while not having too much traffic noise. Service was friendly and quick. Only the family with the kids next to us was really disturbing because the kids were really badly behaved - but this is obviously not the fault of the restaurant. Thus still 5*.

Every time I’m in Zurich, I have to come back here. Oldest vegetarian restaurant in the world? Yeah, and it still slaps. Been here more times than I can count, and it never disappoints. Downstairs, it’s a buffet setup, you grab a plate, load up like it’s your last meal, and pay by the weight. Pro tip: things add up quick when you’re hungry and everything looks good. You’ve been warned. If you head upstairs, you get the full sit-down experience. You can still hit the buffet downstairs just weigh your plate, get a ticket, and hand it off to your server like a classy food courier. Easy. The food? Absolutely amazing. Tons of variety, packed with flavor, and actually satisfying. Like, not just “good for vegetarian food” just good, period. Drinks are fresh too, especially the juices. If you’re vegan or vegetarian, this is the spot in Zurich. And even if you’re not, you’ll still walk out happy. It’s that good.

Cafe Odeon is famous! It is an iconic place that has been a regular spot for the likes of Albert Einstein, Benito Mussolini, Vladimir Lenin, and many other famous people. The interior is very nice, plenty of nice seating. I enjoyed a cappuccino and admired the history of the place. It is close to the river and the opera house. I think it is a great place to visit for a coffee or a meal while in Zurich!

The coffee is amazing and cocktails are pretty good too. I enjoy visiting cafe and today I tried the bar at night with my friend. We ordered drinks and one Apfel Strudel but seems like the waiter didn’t focus on us properly, we got two of them. I told the waiter who brought it that I ordered only one and the waiter who got our order said in a quite loud voice ‘(swear word that I cannot write because of the google restriction) chinesisch’. I heard it quite well so I asked him did you say ‘(swear word that I cannot explicitly write) chinese’ to us and he said he just said jesus not chinese. I’m pretty sure it starts with rather chi than je but he kept saying that I heard it wrong so I couldn’t do anything more. Still I think none of them is appropriate thing to say.

Over 20 years I have wanted to visit this restaurant. Mainly because it’s historical background. Now I did it. We ordered from lunch menu some kind of a burger or sandwich. It was filled with ham. Sides were fried potatoes. Food was ok but nothing special. Next time I order something more interesting because the menu was more versatile than my order. Interior is lovely and the location also. Service was friendly. Prices are Zürich level. Two “hamburgers” and two sodas with 10% tips was 110€.

I visited Ideon Bar in Zurich and really liked it. It has that classic old-school charm with dim lights, friendly service, and a relaxed, stylish atmosphere. You can feel the history too, as it’s connected to the old Odeon where Einstein and other thinkers once gathered. The chèvre chaud salad was exquisite, warm goat cheese with pomegranate grapes on fresh greens, beautifully balanced and full of flavor.

Cafe steeped in history which can have a reverent to get ahead of itself. Warm atmosphere with plenty of regulars around which is a testament to its popularity. For sure many famous faces come through Cafe Odeon which has a particular allure, however it is a down to earth venue which will easily captivate one’s senses whilst taking in the history and enjoying a cup of coffee or a meal or a drink. Zurich pricing is tending to be steep but don’t let it dissuade you from spending time at Cafe Odeon.

Solid British pub. Have plenty of drinks options, the coffee is good and they also have non-dairy alternatives (such as oat milk 🫶🏻) We were four and had 2 Pulled beef burger with “kimchi” (in quotation marks because I love kimchi and it was a bit underwhelming… but I get you have to be commercial here…), one fish and chips and one chicken parmiggiana burger. We were starving and the service was super nice. The food is ok, above average for a pub though. The portions are huge and prices are fair for Zürich. Good to share a pint with friends or have something to eat on a Sunday. 3 stars because i would have liked the food to be a bit better, especially stellar dishes like fish and chips. But altogether a good experience. Thank you for having us!

Fork & Bottle does American brunch right! Even for a large group as we were, they managed to bring all food on time and got it all right. Super friendly service! They were so helpful when we brought our own cake, to provide plates and forks for it. Food was divine - they nailed the bloody Mary (wow the spice was just right, and perfect bacon!) and honey bacon Benedict. So great to enjoy the outdoors with all kids playing on the playground. And they offer kids portions and prices (thank you!!). We'll be back for sure. Thanks to the whole team (service, chefs, owners)!!

Amazing cosy chill place! Very friendly and chatty staff…you will not find this kind of vibe easily in Zurich. They have plenty of options and are happy to customize your order (I asked for Eggs Benedict on a waffle 🧇, and they made it!). Thank you! In terms of taste…emm…I have tried better ones before, with much thicker hollandaise sauce and more salmon. Mine came a bit cold, and the egg was slightly overcooked, so I missed that warm, creamy moment when you cut into it. Next time I would ask for extra salmon and a warmer plate (and more hollandaise sauce). The wedges on the side were delicious and, crispy!

We had brunch at this spot a couple of times now. This time around we tried their chorizo and bacon breakfast burrito, avocado smash and their french toast and waffles. Everything except the avocado smash, which had a bit of raw avocado, was great in taste. Their coffee was hot and good! The service was very friendly and helpful! Location is accessible easily by public transportation but if coming by car during weekend brunch, parking can be a bit of struggle. Tip: Park on the main road (instead of turning into the small road where restaurant is) near the bridge where there may be more space. That lot is connected via a tunnel to this restaurant so it’s very convenient. Also another tip: Lots of amazing bike and walking trails behind the restaurant, check them out especially during good weather.

After a good morning of exploring, my wife and I looked around for a good place to have lunch. We were delighted when we found Fork and Bottle. It was a beautiful location with phenomenal food, an excellent beer selection, and the owner was so friendly. We had a great conversation and he recommended some awesome beers to us. We fondly look back at this meal from our honeymoon and we're so thankful we stopped by! Definitely have a beer and enjoy your time at Fork & Bottle, because it's wonderful.

Great location and service. A very beautiful cafe. Delicious drinks and good food. Definitely overpriced but overall experience made it worth it. We came for a brunch with a toddler and the staff was super sweet, they even got a toddlers chair. Will definitely come again.

This was one of the best brunch experiences our family has had in Zurich, after 1.5 years in the area. We came on Saturday morning. The space has a lovely outside area, though we ultimately sat inside and were kindly given a large table to allow our son to have space and play with his toys as we ate. The service was surprisingly attentive, given the large Saturday crowd, and the servers worked well as a team, with no less than four of them checking in on us or delivering food at various terms. My German (apologetically) is not the best and they allowed me to order in German as best as I could. The food was delicious! We had Oeuf en Cocotte, Persische Eier, pain au chocolate, rosemary potatoes, and hummus with bread. We also had Americanos that came with a carafe of chilled water. Literally everything was fantastic.

Matcha latte was served pretty cold (colder than lukewarm) even tough I ordered warm. And the cheesecake was a total dissappointment. The egg dish was alright. However great location and friendly staff

I stopped by for a late breakfast on an October Saturday around 11:00 a.m. As you would expect it was pretty busy. The seating inside is a bit limited and cramped however, if the outside seating is fully open then there is plenty of room. Due to how busy it was the service was a little slow but not that bad. The food was incredibly delicious so it was worth waiting for. The restrooms were also very nice and clean. Since I am a solo traveler, I was able to sit at the end of a table that already had another group of three. So if you are eating with a group you might want to call ahead to see if you can get a reservation depending on the time of day. I had the croissant with scrambled egg, bacon, arugula and cheese. And a glass of orange juice. My total bill was about 20 Swiss francs which I think is reasonable.

Had brunch and it was mostly delicious! Croissants could have been slightly more fresh and the goat cheese crepe wasn’t quite to my taste. I adore goat cheese in all form, but the taste was overpowering and a bit pungent/bitter. It could have been perfect with a slightly different cheese. The staff however were lovely and the atmosphere was perfect for a cosy brunch on a cold day!

This is a nice little place to have a good coffee and smalle bite. if you order big meal, will regret as too expensive. we have 2 coffee and 2 breakfast, total $70 CHF, almost $130 CAD, i never have such an expensive breakfast in my life.........be careful when you order ! Fantastic selection of chocolate, macrons, and pre-packaged gifts. Best chocolate we have had on our travels so far! Very expensive but worth a try if you are visiting from out of town.

Confiserie Sprüngli is a lovely stop for sweets and warm drinks in Zürich. We tried a few different items, and overall had a really good experience. The Americano was solid and well-balanced, and the hot chocolate espresso was rich and delicious. The chestnut latte definitely had an authentic chestnut flavor, but the texture felt a bit off. It was almost like crushed chestnuts blended into the drink, so it wasn’t our favorite. The pastries, however, were excellent. The caramel baked apple tasted just like a warm apple pie, comforting and full of flavor. The truffle cake slice was also really good — rich, smooth, and not overly sweet. One detail I really appreciated was that the coffees came with a small piece of Sprüngli chocolate, which was a nice touch. Service was very quick and efficient, even with the café being busy. Overall, a great spot for classic Swiss treats, quality pastries, and a cozy break in the city. And a bonus of the chocolate shop right next door to purchase some chocolates!

This is real Swiss chocolate. When you visit this place you see locals having coffee and some treats, or going and buying chocolate for themselves/friends. I think we were the only tourists there for our visit. The staff were fine, but not the best service experience that we have received in Zurich. The selection is amazing. I wish I could have tried everything! Not only is the chocolate delicious, it’s presented in a gorgeous manner.

Confiserie Sprüngli at Paradeplatz is an absolute gem and a must-visit in Zurich. Highly visible corner store on Bahnhofstrasse. Huge selection not only of their famous pralines but also of baked goods, pastries and cakes. Very helpful staff. Go ahead and treat yourself.

It was hard to choose what to buy in this shop. Everything looked so perfect and delicious! We decided on some mini macarons and chocolate covered macarons. We enjoyed the different flavors. My favorite was passionfruit. I wish I had bought some more things here!

Rafael provided excellent service at Terrasse restaurant. The food recommendations he made were delicious. Rafael checked on us several times during our meal to ensure that we were well taken care of. We would like to go there again.

When I don’t know where is good to go. I just come here because I know that it will be always perfect ❤️ inside and outside we’re always happy with the delicious food, good wine and professional service. Just one thing that we really miss here is the summer menu “ceviche“ 😃hope to have soon again.

Lovely place, big windows overlooking the city streets and river. Service is excellent and food is very yummy. We were 4 adults and a child, everyone loved the meals and shared everything.

It’s not bad, but it’s not good either. Well… actually, yes, it’s good — but it’s definitely not Italian. More Mediterranean, I guess… or maybe that’s the most accurate word for it. We had linguine alle vongole (that’s what the menu said), but honestly, I’d rename it “Thai-style linguine with clams and spicy vegetables.” So, no surprises — you don’t expect a real Italian dish, more of an Asian twist, fun, and yeah, not bad at all. I decided to give a small star for the food — it’s good, but not really Mediterranean, kind of confusing. Service was excellent, thankfully. Atmosphere? Meh… it used to be better. Overall, pretty average experience.

Worst food I have ever eat. I ordered schnitzel with Pommes, how bad could be a schnitzel. It was a disaster. The schnitzel full of oil and not crispy dark colour, the taste was also like old non fresh meat, the French fries were so thin and small like you buy chips from the market. But the prices really high for what they have to offer. First and last time there

We celebrated our wedding lunch at Terrasse in the garden with about 30 guests, and it went far beyond our expectations. From start to finish, the service was impeccable — fast, attentive, and thoughtful in every detail. The food was simply outstanding, from the mixed colorful salad to the delicious dessert. Compliments to the chef for the incredible flavors and to the management for running such a well-organized, welcoming place. Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-notch dining and service!

Great place for a lunch under the trees of an outdoor garden, rather busy but the service was attentive and prompt. Obviously I was going fairly light with a nice salad which was delicious. Quite highly raved, but in my opinion, the food was just decent and nothing mind blowing. We had to queue for around 20 mins before we got a table at 10ish am. The rosti was a little too dry for my liking and lacked seasoning.

Amazing place !! Came here for brunch on a Saturday at 14:00 without a reservation. Had to wait around 20/25 min to get seated but it was worth it !! The blueberry pancakes are amazing, not too sweet and the maple syrup is a nice touch. The salmon bagel is also really good !

The bagels here are amazing! And the coffee is pretty good too. I think the only “negative” thing to say, is that this is clearly not a secret gem. People in Zürich know about Babu’s and it was difficult to find a spot to sit. We found a long queue and our only option was to sit outside on a freezing day. They offered us blankets but they do not have heaters, so we kinda froze anyways… which wasnt nice 😅 the food also took a while to come out, but I guess that also comes with the place being so popular/busy… either way, this goes to explain why 4 stars and not 5. I look forward to come again and sit inside next time! ————— Came back in June 2025 and still delicious. The prices are pretty steep (19 francs for a bagel!) but it is a safe tasty bet!

A wonderful café in Zurich! The place is cozy, the atmosphere is lovely, and the staff are absolutely amazing – always welcoming, kind, and attentive. Service is fast and efficient, and the menu offers a great variety of dishes. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available, which makes it enjoyable in any weather. It’s usually quite popular and often has a waiting line, but the good news is that they offer reservations in advance. During our one-month stay in Zurich, we ended up visiting almost daily and got to know many of the incredible team members: DEWI, COLINA, JANICE, SANUEL, LOSA, ADRIANA, JOELLE, ALISHA, LEA, MARIA, SESIRE, KATHI, GABRIELLA, FABIAN, and EPTHER. Truly one of the highlights of our trip – highly recommended!

We went there for Sunday brunch. They serve a good variety of delicious food. Friendly staff, fast service. Just be aware of the time frames, you can reserve a table only for two hours. So if you plan an extended brunch, this is not the place. Also if you order more than one "brunch" it gets a bit pricey.

Great steak house in Zurich. They recommended a couple of red wine. They were so good and great match with food. Everything was good. I spent very good time there.

Went here for Sunday brunch, and I loved everything! We ordered a variety of different things to try (Omelet, Pancakes, Bagel, Eggs Benedict) and it met my every expectation. The pancakes and drinks (smoothies) were definitely a highlight so I’d recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a nice brunch with friends or family. Be sure to make a reservation and beware that it can get a little noisy, but that’s only a little issue. I had looked at the Lunch and Dinner menu beforehand and couldn’t find many good vegetarian options to suit my tastes, but I’ll definitely be back for brunch :)

📝 Very interesting place for breakfast or brunch. Service was good and food was very good. We had to wait a bit too much at the entrance, I think the "check-in" process could be made more efficient. 🍴 You can order à la carte and they also have a few standard combos for brunch. I had an omelette made the way I wanted: very tasty, only just a little too spongy for me. Also hash browns and everything else was great. Cappuccino and juices were excellent. 📍 It's just right next to Kreuzplatz tram station, easily reached from Stadelhofen. Inside it's pretty cozy and actually quite busy/lively so there's a nice atmosphere. ☝🏼 You have to book in advance, at least for brunch on weekends. The place was packed.

Fantastic cappuccino (and coffee) that was flavourful and a good way to start (wake up!) the morning. The menu was chock full of delicious options that makes one want to order everything! I got the platter that was overflowing with choices. The alpine cheese was nutty with fruity aftertaste and paired well with the breads, the marmalade too was great without being too sweet. The scrambled eggs are perfectly done, not too dry or wet. The pancakes were fluffy and well done, not overcooked or undercooked and paired deliciously with the banana and maple syrup (not pictured). The omelette and Sunnyside up are also great choices for smaller eaters.

Bohemia is always a good restaurant. The food has a consistent quality level and the staff is friendly and helpful. We went for brunch and the Bagel Eggs Benedict was excellent, highly recommendable. The pancakes are always good and the same counts for their omelettes. If you go for dinner I highly recommend the spareribs. They are tasty, juicy and the right amount of seasoned. The only downside of Bohemia are the slightly high prices.

Nice Brunch Place with a Lively Atmosphere Bohemia is a great place to go and enjoy a nice Brunch with friends. Make sure to make reservations as it gets quite packed during the weekend. Overall the food was good but there were some things that were lacking. Service: Normally it was very good but during the brunch rush they don't have a lot of staff and so depending on your seating it might take you a while to get your order taken. I gave a specific directions to serve the coffee and pastry before the food but they did not follow that. Which is fine but the pastry got dry at the table which was less than enjoyable. However, Miky who became our server after was really good and very on point with giving suggestions and serving the table. Food: The Eggs Florentine was really good! The hollandaise sauce had a bit more salt than I would prefer but honestly no other points. Highly recommend! The farmers bread open sandwich was also really good and the portion was really good! The Steak and Eggs were less than ideal because of a few factors but I must mention that the Garlic and Herb butter was really good! The bacon was made to order! The large potatoes were not fully cooked through, the steak was medium rare and not medium as asked. The fat cap of the steak was really large and needed a larger render. The larger fat cap meant that the steak became more rubbery or a lower quality of meat which was disappointing since it was the most expensive thing ordered. The Pain Au Chocolat was dry and the chocolate was hard, which meant the pastry had been standing close to the door for too long reducing the taste and the quality. The coffee was good but the flat white milk was not the correct consistently. Good place however the price is high for the level of detail.

Wonderful restaurant with a very pretty terrace! Enjoyed every bite. The buffet has many vegan choices and everything's clearly labeled. Only thing I'll add, if you're proud to be the first vegetarian restaurant in the whole world, then make that next step! Fully vegan, you already know you don’t need animal products to create delicious dishes. So what’s the point? 😉💚

The food was very tasty – we had vegetarian dishes, but there are also vegan options available. The meals are flour-based and fresh, clearly prepared on the spot. Even though it was quite busy, we managed to find a table during lunch hours, and the waiting time wasn’t long. We enjoyed a delicious lunch, and although we didn’t manage to take a photo of the dessert, it was definitely worth saving some room for it.

Great vegetarian buffet. Pay by the weight. I tried as many different dishes as I could, and I thought the food was wonderful. Nice seating both inside and outside. My lunch was 20 francs. Not inexpensive but worth it.

This is our go-to restaurant whenever we don’t know what to eat and we are in the city center. Absolutely love the food and atmosphere here. The price is also really reasonable considering its central location. Highly recommend!

Cheyenne in Oerlikon is a great spot for burger lovers. They serve delicious burgers all day long, and their weekly changing lunch option keeps things interesting. One of the best features is that you can fully customise your burger from the patty to the buns and sides. I especially liked the choice of different buns, including gluten-free and even low-carbon options with lettuce wraps. If you're visiting, definitely try the Whiskey Burger and the authentic cheesecake - both packed with flavour. On the downside, I do wish the portions were a bit bigger. That would make the experience even better. The space itself is a big plus: spacious interior, comfy sofas, and a nice overall ambience that makes you want to stay a while. It's not quite perfect, hence the 4-stars. Still, I highly recommend it!

Absolutely love the burgers here - best in Zurich! Their wings are awesome, as well as their huge salads. Perfect spot for great American style food.

I’ve been here for brunch several times and it never disappoints. Yes, there’s usually a bit of a wait, like most brunch spots in Zurich, but it’s absolutely worth it. The atmosphere is super cozy, the staff friendly, and the food is both delicious and made with care. Portions are generous, ingredients feel fresh, and there’s always something on the menu that hits the spot. Definitely one of my favorite brunch places in the city!

Best fluffy pancakes in town - the right amount of fluffiness, crust and moisture. Topped with cheesecake cream and raspberry compote. The scones are also amazing - freshly made with a crunchy crust and a soft middle.

The atmosphere and staff was excellent. The food was ok but definitely isn’t perfect or close to that. This is the first brunch place I tried at Switzerland so I am not sure the level in here, but I have eaten x100 better brunches in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy etc with a fraction of the price.. Zurich is expensive but what I’d expect getting same quality and variety of ingredients while paying the more than double. They can definitely add different flavours to their plates, maybe some pickles jars idk everything was tasting okay but very very plain.

Cute cake shop in the Zurich station with really good cakes! We tried the lemon and carrot cakes and they were delicious! The chocolate muffin was also very good! The coffee was also well served and the prices are reasonable. Definitely I would like to come back.

With all the hustle and bustle in Zurich HB, if you find you need a quick refreshing treat,snack,or fast meal, you should run by Gates 10-11 and try out Cakefriends. It’s a wonderful place with lots to choose from healthy cakes, baked fresh daily. Freshly squeezed juices, if you don’t see what you like on the menu, they can just mix real quick. Everything is fresh and made to order. They even have special Georgia Southern Pecans, freshly roasted in a special herb and syrup mix. Prices were great, staff was great. They even offered to let me try a few things. Plenty of seating if you’re not in a hurry. Give them a try, you will love it.

This is a late review. I went there last summer in 2025. That morning we were rushing for a train and stop by for a hot drink as I was so craving for something hot:) The lady was so energetic and super friendly when she detected that I don’t understand German, and switched to English mode right away.

Very bad customer service 🤢🤢 and way too expensive for that quality. ​This was a completely disappointing takeaway experience. ​I asked the server explicitly if they could make the hot chocolate piping hot. They lied and said "sure, yes." What I got was barely warm. ​When I complained, I was told, "That's as hot as the machine gets." Why didn't you say that before I paid?! This is simply a dishonest way to make a sale. No apology, no refund offer, just a complete lack of care. ​The endless lines at this place are only due to the location, not the quality. They are not special, and their service is abysmal. Avoid!

I recently visited this breakfast spot in Zurich with my wife and kids, and we all enjoyed the experience. My first plate offered a delightful mix of flavors with scrambled eggs, various cheeses, fresh fruit, and yogurt – a great balance between savory and sweet that appealed to all ages. The second dish, topped with a creamy sauce and garnished with fresh greens, complemented the sides of ham nicely. The ingredients felt fresh, and the presentation was well done. Prices are rather high though.

We went in the afternoon and it was quiet but not too quiet. You can open up your laptops if there aren't too many people in the café. The service was great and the servers were very kind and easy. I would definitely recommend the iced coffee and also they have baked goods which were amazing. The music was also great indoors

Very charming place — but sadly, a big disappointment: I’ve known this spot for many years, as it’s in my neighborhood, and have always liked it. However, I went back this morning and was really disappointed by how much the quality and service have dropped. We had to wait 20 minutes just to get the menu. When the food finally arrived, it was completely cold. The bread wasn’t fresh, and the scrambled eggs had a strange, almost artificial taste — more like egg paste than freshly prepared eggs — and they were cold as well. And then there’s the cost. Nearly 80 francs for some stale bread, a few slices of cheese, inedible eggs, a cold eggs Benedict, two cappuccinos, and two orange juices? That’s just unreasonable. I have no problem paying for good food and service — but this was far from it. Unfortunately, I think this was my last visit.

Cute little cafe with simple wooden furniture. Feels quite student-y or hipster-y, in a good way. Friendly service. There’s a small number of indoor tables, and I was grateful that they kept the door open for ventilation. There’s also a larger amount of outdoor seating, but it was raining when I went so I didn’t use it. Overall people seemed to be having a cheerful time, and I wouldn’t mind going back if I’m in the area!

Located in the middle of this cozy square, this cafe is a favorite for many reasons. It has managed to attract its customer base with both the flavor of its coffee and the variety of its menus. Also, the outdoor seating areas make for incredibly pleasant moments, especially on a nice sunny day.

We were here on Sunday to have brunch and it was filled with locals so you already know it’s good. We had the petit dejeuner set and eggs benedicts. Also some nice ice coffee. The scrambled eggs were well seasoned and goes great with the bread. However, the eggs benedict were a undercooked and the spinach made the food too bland and watery. I would def recommend the breakfast set :)

Unfortunately, this sourdough bread was quite disappointing. Probably not the best sourdough bread. It’s packed with flour and completely lacks the light, airy texture good sourdough should have — instead, it’s dense and heavy like a rock. The taste didn’t make up for it either. I really didn’t enjoy it and wouldn’t buy it again.

Perfect for a quick coffee and croissant. The cashier was patient& swift, even though an elderly customer was rather unfriendly& pushy. There is a small corner inside to sit down& most wonderful smell of fresh bread. Outside are the best spots to listen to the birds& watch the bussy people rush by.

This was where we got breakfast. This place is excellent. Inside, there was a huge selection of food, such as brioche, brioche Au chocolate, cheese cake, croissant and more! It looked very tasty. The staff were quick and prompt to respond our order. Outside, we were sat at a small table, with a view of the street. The food tasted brilliant, tasty and easy to eat. We would definitely go again!!!

High quality bakery with a great selection of products. Pasties made with organic flour and many intriguing vegetarian options, not easily found in other stores. Beetroot sandwich and smoke wood carrot sandwich were delicious. Interiors very warm and staff extremely helpful and friendly.

I usually like everything i purchase from brioche bread to sandwiches, sweet pastries etc, and i am quite a regular customer as i am not a fan of supermarket baked goods, but the sourdough bread i got last week was a huge disappointment. Flat, and super dense, hope they manage to sort it out as surely someone in the kitchen must have noticed this isn’t right..

Really Nice Café! (or juicery!) I really liked the vibe! Even thought it was cold it felt like a nice spring afternoon. Whenstaff was very friendly and we got our order quite fast. We ordered a flat white which was nice and above average and one of the shakes. This one though was much on the milky side. Just from being there and being able to see how they make it I expected a bit of a tastier shake. You could almost not taste any fruit! Nevertheless it was nice and we will most probably be back some day if we walk by coincidence and feel like it. Still need to try one of their bagels.

The food is amazing and extremely fresh: simple and unrefined ingredients every day for a perfect bowl or bagel! I do recommend to try everything whenever you want something healthy and easy to digest.

A nice spot to stop for a large selection of drinks and small bites. Lots of juices, smoothies, and bowls. They have hot and cold coffee drinks as well. For food they have quinoa bowls, açaí bowls, bagels, croissants, and homemade snacks (matcha balls, Swiss balls, double chocolate balls, and more) Several tables to seat indoor and outside.

Great healthy food and drinks in cosy venue! We had two different kinds of porridge (one with blue berries/peanut butter/granola and one with raspberries/almond butter/granola), the açai bowl, some different types of juices and coffee. Everything in terms of food and the juices was really tasty, but the coffee only ok and could improve. Both the cortado and flat white were too faint/weak.

Lovely place. Nice staff. The outside sitting area is cute and cosy. I had shakshuka and i had better ones in mt life, but still on the very good side. I am a coffee nerd and i rate the coffee as good 😃 Come and have some chilli vanilly time.

Super cute café in a very easy to reach area! The food was very good, with many options in the menu (English version available!). They have many vegetarian options, and also some began ones! Quite cozy, colorful and chill, eben though it can also get quite crowded. On the weekend it is not allowed to work with a laptop there, but I think it is allowed the rest of the week. They have gluten free options but the sweets at least were open (therefore contaminated). Highly recommend for breakfast or brunch! 🥰

Good food and desserts. A bit pricey but the location and vibes are nice. Also very busy not recommended for groups or sensitive conversations during late morning/afternoon. I don’t drink coffee so I don’t know if that was nice but I think so.

4.5 if I could. Overall I enjoyed the visit to Lou’s - Stephan knows good food and drinks! The highlight for me was the Pastrami Reuben which was delicious. The service and cocktails were great too. Make sure you pay a visit! The dish that didn’t quite hit it was the Philly cheese - expected more of a chopped texture and I think there was slightly too much char on it (more like the smash burger). The special LA style fries had a little too much sauce for my liking - maybe better on a flatter serving tray? Will definitely be back.

I write this in English, so the Tourists that visit Zurich come and visit this super restaurant. We live in the centre of Switzerland and were in Zurich and visited this nice restaurant that offers comfort food at its best. What can I say, we felt welcomed from the first entrance until we got seated and enjoyed our lovely dinner. The Staff is super friendly and gives always attention to your needs and questions. And I can say living in Switzerland since I was born, you can't find always a good swiss service or even in Zurich its rare to find such a professional, kind and high service level. The food was in a very good quality, perfect amount of spices and delicious we wanted even more and it wasn't soaked in oil (sometimes in america this dishes are dripped in oil) You can see they put passion in every dish. Good amount of portion and very nice cocktails and mocktails. This is a hidden gem and they should get more and more visibility. Please keep it like this with this staff including the cook. They deserve! We will definetely come again!

I was very glad to have finally been able to try this spot - it has been on my list for quite a while. Firstly, the service was great. We were at the table for quite a while a both servers were incredibly friendly and service oriented. I love comfort food generally so the mac and cheese side option is already a big plus to start with. I tried the classic pastrami sandwich as the restaurant goes through a really time intensive process to prepare the meat which makes this dish almost impossible to make at home. The meat was super tender and flavorful. The bread was a bit too dry for my liking but I will definitely be back to try some of the other dishes.

Aside from the pungent cigarette smoke that wafted inside through the open windows, our dinner at Lou's was lovely. We enjoyed the delicious food (Buffalo chicken burger, mac and cheese, Philly cheesesteak, and coleslaw) and the charming interior. The music level was just right for easy conversation, and our server was impressively fast and attentive without being intrusive, making for excellent service overall. We will definitely come again (once the windows are closed and the smoke stays outside).

One of the best places I’ve discovered so far in Zürich. The food is absolutely delicious, homemade and done on the moment (bravo au chef 👌🏼) it’s generous, comforting and the atmosphere is great for a date and/or going out with friends/family! Loved it and can’t wait to come back 🫶🏻

We visited the restaurant last Sunday because it was my husband's birthday, and I would like to warmly thank the manager for his kindness, as well as the entire team for their hospitality. The manager was kind enough to offer him a cinnamon roll with a small candle, as well as the bottles of water we ordered. We weren't expecting it and were really touched. We'll come back another time because it was really crowded.

We waited an hour for the König brunch,The service was slowly,and it’s clear this place has a staffing issue — both we and everyone around us waited over an hour for food that should take ten minutes to prepare. And the quality was below average. Prices is a little bit too high! for what you get. Won’t be back.

We went there for brunch over the weekend. It can get pretty crowded, so it’s better to book in advance or come a bit earlier. I was a bit disappointed with classique brunch as the portion was quite small and you get a lot of bread. They didn’t bring me any jams and I only realized that I could have asked for it before leaving. I would recommend the cooked ham with gruyere or the tartine. Quite tasty

We came to this place on Jan 1,2024 and it was packed!! Therefore, the servers were not always attentive to your needs (and it was understandable, 2 people were serving over 20 tables, girls did as much as they could). Food was not the best either. A hollandaise on eggs Benedicts was just a mayo with egg yolks, it was served over ham on a very toasted bread which didn’t have any toppings on it. The salad on a flip side was very fresh and delicious! Overall it was ok experience for a holiday day, but it’s not worth all the money you’re paying for it…not sure if I want to come back…

We waited way too long for everything – the service was super slow and unorganized. What really bothered me was the attitude of the girl with glasses at the front desk. She was rude and spoke in a very unprofessional and disrespectful way. Definitely not coming back.

I ordered a breakfast on April 19, but two main pieces were missing. The person on the phone apologized, which I appreciate, but it’s been the third time that my order is lacking items, and I won’t be ordering again. Also, I the quality and variety of the food has unfortunately deteriorated in the past years. They used to give you jam and butter for the bread. I just don’t see how two slices of bread, some egg with bacon, and a few slices of charcuterie cost almost 50 CHF.

We celebrated mothers day in Tibits Bitro. The Sunday brunch is all you can eat, but the drinks are limited (2 small drinks per person). We paid 49 CHF per person, why are the drinks limited? Wide selection of food; fresh bread 🥖🥐🍞 Variety of all-vegetarian food 🍲 such as jalapeños, Rösti, vegetables, Hummus, cheese 🧀 , and pastry 🥧 I found the food bland, lacking spices.

Excellent vegetarian restaurant in Zürich. It is perfectly located near the Opera, so you can just stop by for lunch or dinner. It’s a system of take & pay, you pick a plate, you take whatever you want and then they will weigh it and you pay based on how much food you took. The hosts are speaking English, so it’s easy to order and get around. They are super friendly, someone is always around cleaning the tables, overall excellent service. Prices are quite nice, we paid around 33 CHF for 2 persons, but with only one drink. Photos with the food and our plates attached. I also like the interior design, very classic and also very clean. Overall a very nice experience while in Zürich, I highly recommend it A+.

I don't come here anymore. Today I made an exception and learned my lesson again. 20chf for one waffle and some Birchermüesli. And 7.40 for large coffee. It wasn't even tasty. Waffle was nice. The rest was average. Coffee was the worst I had this week. Tourist trap. Go to competition or buy something in the bakery nearby and sit by the lake.

I recently found myself wanting a hot chocolate and I happened to be around the corner from this Tidbits. I have been going to Hiltl and tidbits for two decades so I was excited to try out another of their locations. Alas, it was a disappointment. On the menu it stated very clearly that they use oat milk as a default in their hot chocolate. In German: "mit Haferdrink als Standard". Great! I went ahead and ordered a hot chocolate. Later, I noticed that it had a funky, weird taste. Unfortunately, I was already almost half through my glass when I noticed because I had been deep in a conversation. I thought that perhaps the chocolate itself had some dairy and I kicked myself for not thinking to check on that. So I went inside and asked the woman who had served me if the chocolate had dairy. She looked surprised and said "No, the chocolate doesn't, but I made your drink with cow's milk since you didn't specify what milk you wanted." Does this lady not understand what "as a default/standard" means? Why did she decide that she should give cow's milk to customers instead of what is listed on the menu? It seems that tidbits needs to spend a bit more time training their staff. I hadn't had dairy in years.... suffice it to say that my stomach wasn't happy that evening (and neither was my wallet, because it doesn't want to support animal cruelty).

We ordered following: • Citrus Cinnamon Roll • Almond Bun • Chocolate cake • Tusca They have a rotating menu, so the selection we had may be different from yours. Overall, I think that the cinnamon rolls/buns are a bit plain. I expected the citrus cinnamon roll to be more fragrant however, only the light wipped cream on top was slightly citrusy, the rest of the roll was rather plain. The Almond bun was good. Fragrant, light, delicate and moist. Same goes for the chocolate cake and tuska which were both moist, fragrant and not too sweet. Staff unfortunately weren't friendly nore smiling and had a long face. The shop wasn't too busy, so it's not like they were in a rush. A minimum of greeting and politeness would be appreciated. Overall, I recommend to try the pastery there, however would avoid anything related to the cinnamon rolls/buns.

Delicious coffee(chai lover) and buns (especially the cinnamon ones). I didn’t love the cookie nor the pistachio bun (it was a kind of whipped cream with not so much pistachio flavour). I will go back to try all their beverages and pastries because they looked delicious! Also, the girl who served us was really kind and made a a tailor-made coffee for me since I wanted less sugary stuff. They also sell some mugs and blends.

I live in the UK, but I made it a point of coming here on my trip after a recommendation and it did not disappoint. The most knowledgeable and helpful team members and super tasty products; as a pastry chef, im jealous I don't live there so I can apply for a job 😅 Went home with lots of presents and my 72 year old mother insisted on going back to buy herself a few bags of coffee after seeing mine, call me an influencer 😀 5 ⭐ highly recommend!

Came here on a Saturday around 13:30 and there was a pretty long line. Fortunately, we were very lucky because they closed the line right after the people after us and said that everything was sold out. I got half a tomato bagel and half the salmon bagel. Both were amazing but if I were to recommend only one I’d definitely pick the tomato ! Beware that prices are pretty high… However, this fact is overlooked by the quality of the ingredients and their amaaazing cream cheese !! There are only three tables outside but the turnover is pretty quick. All in all, would definitely recommend this place

Outside, there is not a lot of space to sit down and enjoy your meal. But the bagels are really amazing and the service is nice. Ideal place for a quick lunch.

amazing bagel shop in Zurich! we ordered the wild alaskan salmon whole bagel and the reuben sandwich bagel and both were delicious 💓 you get to choose your own bagel type (everything, sesame, plain) and it was one of the best bagels i’ve had in a while 🫶 perfect end to our Zurich trip!⭐️

Lovely as any other Babu’s branch but this is pure bakery. There are only some seatings outside and no brunch options. However minor incidents is just that I bought fruit bread (the one with dates & other dry fruits) once upon a day and the bread is extremely hard to the point it’s impossible to eat. Not sure if the bread is old or what is the problem, I had to throw it away. Other than that, the staffs are super nice.

Excellent service, great coffee and delicious cheesecake! Just went to visit this place for the second time this month and I feel like it just keeps getting better. One of my favourite coffee shops in Wiedikon.

So nice to have a local babu’s takeaway with a small seating area - away from the normal big queues and having to reserve! Pop in, grab, sit and simply go! Lovely choice of fresh sandwiches, cakes and coffee! I loved the easy vibe, Sunday hip hop playing in the background! Will be back next week 🙌🏽

Went here for a quick coffee. The place just recently opened (Feb 2024) and the layout of the place is pretty cool! Tasty-looking pastries for take-away and dine-in! I just got a cortado with oat milk (my usual) and it was very tasty. More on the smoother silky-tasting side compared to other earthy-chocolate tasting coffee beans. The coffee shop is located on three “half-floors” so it’s larger than what you see when you enter. There’s even a sofa area on the top floor which creates a cozy corner. Will definitely come back again soon!

Love this bakery. One of my favorite in the city. Their apple pie tastes like the one my grandma used to make. If only they had coffee in real cups Update: They introduced real coffee cups and therefore added one more star since their pastries are one of the best in Zurich. Update 2: They removed Lunchcheck so had to remove one star. Update 3: Wow, really responsive and they readded Lunch check. Adding back their star

The portion size of scrambled eggs was quite small, there was no side on plate. The price is high for this. Breads, avocados bagel are really good. Service is average. It’s not a good idea to order by self waiting on queue even you have already sit.

Very crowded filled with very rich looking locals or tourists. Would suggest try getting a seat upstairs if possible. Prices are on par with regular cafes - perhaps slightly pricier but the quality of chocolate is excellent. Worth a visit if you're a tourist or perfect for a treat or special occassion. Some cakes and treats are more affordable than others so always worth asking. Some light lunch options such as club sandwich is also available. Highly recommend the hot chocolate. Staff are busy but polite

As the cafe of Switzerland’s most famous chocolatier, the chocolate treats you get here are good. Though being smack in the middle of Paradeplatz, the value for money and time you might need to wait for a table is certainly not the best.

Confiserie Sprüngli never fails to impress with its quality and atmosphere - the desserts are exquisite and the setting is always charming. However, during this visit the service felt a little less warm and welcoming than expected. Still, for the taste and tradition, it remains a place worth returning to.

The cold chocolate drink was perfect. A bit busy, but you can see why. Luckily didn’t have to wait for a table. But if you want to sit upstairs be prepared to wait longer- even though upstairs doesn’t seem that special tbh. The macarons weren’t that great tbh- had better in supermarkets- but the chocolate drink is wonderful.

I ordered their classic Coupe Denmark with vanilla ice cream. Unfortunately, it was disappointing- the ice cream wasn’t creamy at all and had frozen chunks inside, making it hard to enjoy. On top of that, there was far too much whipped cream compared to the amount of ice cream. For a place known for its quality desserts, I expected better.

I went here for the first time ever and got the worst service from the waitress with curly dark brown hair, didn’t bother finding out what her name was. I asked if she could tell me what’s in Sprüngli coffee, she rudely responded “alcohol”, as if she was bothered that I came there, so I asked what’s without alcohol that I may try, and she said it’s all with alcohol, so after seeing how rude and unwelcoming she is, I just ordered a flat white. When my friend joined me, we wanted to change tables and go inside, so I got my coffee and headed towards entrance, and the waitress yelled out “where are you going!!?? You didn’t pay and you want to run away with coffee!” and I was flabbergasted and embarrassed because she yelled out in front of everyone and all the people looked toward us like we are stealing something. I told her we just wanted to change tables to which she responded (yelling) how that’s not how it works, you have to ask, and pay and be escorted by someone after waiting in line. It was my first time going there, so I had no idea you can’t change tables like in other normal places I’ve had my coffee at. And it would all be fine if her attitude was friendly and if she was kindly informing us of that. However, she was simply rude and had disgusting & hostile attitude. So rude and obnoxious for no reason. Will never come back to this place.

The cafe on level 1 was small and felt chaotic. Didn't realise there was a queue (there were 2 entrances, only 1 has a sign stating to wait for someone to serve you) and sat down at a table, received a "scolding" from 1 of the staff. Be prepared to be cosy with another customer as tables are close to each other. Tried the hot chocolate and it was good but not fantastic. Overall, worth a visit if you are passing by.

the best ice cream I have ever tried in Zürich so far, the vegans one are exquisite and the girl who was there can help you in different languages such as Spanish or Portuguese which is very comforting for someone who’s no from here! lovely

It’s been a long time since I’ve had legit gelato, this place is good. I actually sampled 4 flavors before settling on a flavor and all 4 flavors were really good. Would come back again given the chance

Amazingly kind people and very good food. Bagels are fresh and incredible. Nice thrift shop and small boutique with locally-made fine goods. Highly recommend for a cozy and lazy Sunday morning or afternoon cafe stop. Wish them continued and great success!

Wife got me a latte macchiato from here. Apparently they added some syrup and tons of cinnamon. I get that some people like both and enjoy a glucose OD but would be great if the server *asks* before adding things not integral to latte macchiato (i.e. coffee & milk)

I did not understand the concept of the store. The coffee is from the machine as well with matcha latte. Not good quality.
