If you're on the hunt for an authentic taste of Shanghai, look no further than LÈ Cuisine | 乐厨. This delightful delivery service specializes in traditional Shanghainese dishes while also offering beloved classics from the broader Chinese culinary landscape. With a menu boasting around 20 mouthwatering options, highlights include the tantalizing cold pork belly drizzled with chili-garlic dressing, flavorful Dan dan ramen, and the sweet and savory Mei cai kou rou (braised pork belly).
I’ve ordered delivery from LÈ Cuisine a few times now, and it’s become one of my go-tos for proper Chinese food in Zurich. The braised pork belly (Dong Po Rou) is still the highlight – rich, slow-cooked, and full of flavor, with that perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture and just enough sweetness in the sauce to balance the fat. Also tried the Mapo Tofu, which packs a good kick without being overwhelming – silky tofu, minced meat, and a nice depth from the Sichuan peppercorns. Their handmade dumplings are legit, especially the pork and chive ones. Delivery has always been on point – food arrives warm, well-packed, and portions are solid. You can tell they don’t cut corners, even when it’s not dine-in. If you’re after honest, well-executed Chinese food in Zurich – without the usual fusion fluff – LÈ Cuisine delivers. Literally.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing experience! Everything from the okra to the dessert was absolutely delicious. You could tell the food was made with care and attention to detail — every dish was full of flavor. The person running the place was also fantastic — super professional, friendly, and made the whole visit even more enjoyable. Definitely coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great Chinese food! 👌🍜🥢

Excellent, absolutely excellent and authentic Chinese food. Suggested by a friend, we came to try for lunch and ordered a classic roasted duck, with a side of seasonal vegetables. As we were eating, they spontaneously offered us to try a delicious and super fresh prawn dish, that came in a divine sauce, and they also offered us a tasty fried rice (I didn’t catch the name but I think it was the bbq pork fried rice). Everything we ate was full with flavour and cooked to perfection. What made it special was the service - they gave us a lovely big table by the window, they were careful but not omnipresent, and they offered us so many things which was such a kind gesture. We will be coming back to try the summer/lunch menu they told us about, which is already available and consists of pork and chicken cooked with ginger sauce and more!

Kind, fast service and absolutely excellent food. We were so happy having dinner here. Definitely recommend the cold beef noodles and brisket. Thank you Lè Cuisine!
Micha H — Google review
Food was really good. Both authentic and delicate. Some dish are unique. Quantity is average and price a bit high probably due to the Gault&Millau rating. The room is basic and rather small. Also a bit noisy. Overall atmosphere below our expectations.
Jean L — Google review
Excellent Chinese food. A bit pricey, but worth it. Lots of authentic Chinese options, highly recommend. I had the potstickers (guotie) and they were both crispy and juicy. Beef noodle soup was great too. Portion sizes were reasonable (not too much, not too little). If you’re looking for a cheaper restaurant, this might not be the place, but for genuine authentic Chinese (with a simple but good menu), this checks all the boxes.
Joshua S — Google review
If I could give this 10 stars, I would. I grew up eating Chinese food, and I completely loved this restaurant. We ordered the Chinese broccoli, pork dumplings, Shanghai scallion noodles, and Dan Dan noodles. All were incredible. Simple dishes but filled with flavour. Reminded me of grandma’s cooking but with something extra special. Service was quick and attentive as well. Would recommend to all friends visiting Zurich.
K C — Google review
Food was amazing and the service was kind and warm. Definitely make a reservation! It’s very popular and quite small. Restrooms are a bit on the smaller side which might be an issue for some people. Would come again for sure. Everything was excellent and extremely tasty.

Chinese restaurant
Asian restaurant
A Chinese restaurant called Achi is located between the military barracks and Langstrasse in Zurich. It is a simple and practical interior with a cool and stylish touch. Customers sit at long wooden tables and enjoy authentic food from northern China as well as other dishes from China's north-east, and Thai curries.
Nice place to have lunch. The lunch menu is short but offers a good choice. Every lunch menu comes with a side dish. The food is tasty. The ingredients are fresh. The lunch menu prices are reasonable but the food portion is very decent. Staff is friendly. Table and floor are clean.
Duy N — Google review
Big portions. Food was ok but nothing special. Felt like the flavour was not coming over. Seemed like the sauce was cooked before and then the beef was quickly thrown in there which resulted in it not really taking on the flavour. Also one dish was said to be spicy (two chillis) and it wasn't spicy at all... The staff was nice and welcoming. Also the veggie dumplings came with a sauce that looked like soy sauce but was way more sour not sure what that was about but didn't catch me. The atmosphere was alright. For my likings it's a bit loud and hard to talk to your counterpart. But completely acceptable if you just want some quick asian food around langstrasse.
Michael B — Google review
I really enjoy this Asian restaurant (mostly Chinese food but they also have some Thai on the menu). Portions are big, service is friendly and you can easily find a spot without reservation. A few dishes lack a bit of seasoning but overall the value is great and the ingredients are fresh.
Sara L — Google review
I was surprised when we got here around dinner time. I wasn’t expected that this restaurant was packed everywhere. The food was delicious. Kung Pao Shrimp was really good, as well as the kung pao tofu, tofu with spicy peppers and the chicken curry were all definitely really good. The ravioli soup wonton was also tasty. Must try this chinese restaurant when in Zurich
Hill S — Google review
As an Asian, I felt very comfortable with the Chinese food here. The Mapo Tofu is authentic with just the right spice level, and the portions are generous. Highly recommended!

Great food and service, fair prices. The dumplings were tasty but the chicken had the most perfect sauce ever
Mariela P — Google review
A delicious spot that brings authentic Chinese flavors to Zurich. I was surprised by how good the food was, given the large menu. My favorites were the savory pork belly and perfectly roasted duck! The spicy rice noodle soup, however, could’ve used a bit more seasoning. Service is top-notch. Even during busy times, the staff manage everything smoothly, serve quickly, and are incredibly polite—everyone said goodbye as we left. The downside is how busy and loud it gets on weekends, especially with shared tables where you’re seated close to strangers. It made conversation a bit challenging. I can also imagine some introverts would feel that the place is simply “too crowded” for them, leading to a less pleasant dining experience. However, if you don’t mind any of this and simply are here for the food, you’re in for a treat!

Bubble tea store
Sichuan restaurant
Khujug restaurant offers a cozy and ornate space with faux cherry blossoms, creating a charming ambiance for enjoying Chinese cuisine. The name Khujug holds deeper meaning, representing important virtues. The restaurant is popular among Asians, indicating the quality of its Chinese fare and impressive furnishings. Additionally, it boasts a wide selection of bubble teas.
Nice food with an extensive menu and good service. I had the Kung-Po beef with fried rice which was pretty good and a big portion that I was very content with. We also shared the beef dumplings, which were okay, but a bit too big and with too thin dumpling for my taste. The service was nice, it was not crowded at all on a Friday evening at the end of September, they were very respectful and quick. The food also arrived pretty quickly, for all the table at the same time, which I appreciate. All in all a nice dinner.
Radu Z — Google review
The worse Chinese food I have tasted in Zurich, and this is coming from someone who frequent and love their sister restaurant Achi. Khujug fails miserably and does injustice to Chinese food. Fried rice was merely tiny finger nail size bits of scrambled eggs thrown in. The skin of wonton was thick and clumped together. You feel like you are chewing through rubber. Utterly disappointed.
TF — Google review
One of the best Sichuan style restaurants in Zürich. We enjoyed the Mala Dry Pot and very much liked the smokey taste of the aubergine in soy sauce. Portions are very large. Service was fast and friendly. On weekends it's wise to make a reservation.
F S — Google review
H I G H L Y R E C O M M E N D E D ! ! ! Great food, spicy options for the ones who love spicy food, and the portion was huge compared to what a person can eat. For my case, I had the chance to taste the hot pot, shrimps version, and I loved it. The staff spoke good English, and were very friendly! Wouldn’t hesitate a second to comeback there and try the different options.
Mohamed H — Google review
We got the crispy, breaded beef with sweet chili sauce (26.50 Fr.) and water spinach with garlic sauce (22.50 Fr.) and I absolutely loved it. The portion was also very good. This restaurant also has a lot of variety of bubble tea. I got the brown sugar milk (no tea) with tapioca 70cl (8.50 Fr.) and it was delicious. The service was nice and the restaurant was very pretty. There was even a large tree in the center of the restaurant. The only downside was the view. The restaurant was surrounded by clubs and bars, and in front of it was a bus station where people were waiting for the bus. If the restaurant were in a nicer location, I would definitely visit more often. But the restaurant itself is fantastic. We went there in the morning, so it wasn't too crowded, but every time I passed by in the evening, it was packed.
Chanel101 — Google review
I highly recommend this place. The food was amazing everything was super delicious. And the portions were big and they have spacious table too that makes it perfect coming with friends. Service was super friendly and welcoming. They also sell bubble teas with many choices of flavours. Really great restaurant.
Christina P — Google review
We enjoyed authentic Sichuan dishes. The serving was quick even though there were quite some people. The food was fine in general. The eggplant dish was tasty. The hot spicy with lamb was OK but some pieces of meat were too chewy to bite so couldn't swallow up. The service was so so.
Eun-Kyeong K — Google review
The food had many vegetarian options and the staff was really kind. We celebrated a birthday and the staff played happy birthday on the speakers and gave us a complimentary dessert.

With excellent food, great service and an inviting atmosphere, Wesley's Kitchen is the perfect place to catch up with friends or have a business meeting. Open for lunch and dinner every day, it's well worth a visit!
Great place for Chinese tapas and Asian tastes. You can get some great deal sets and food is full of flavours. I like its easy going atmosphere and friendly waiters.
Marek Z — Google review
Overall it’s a nice experience with the staff’s friendliness and the nice ambience, but other than the soup dumplings, the food feels a bit on the short side. The beef and spicy lamb couldve been more flavorful, and the portion could be a bit larger.
Desmond L — Google review
A kind of Chinese family joint in Zurich town centre. Good selection of menu mostly around chicken and pork and very less with beef. Small outdoor seating at the back of the restaurant and has good service. Be careful of ordering fried rice which is 10 times the price of normal rice🤣
Kayman — Google review
Online ordering of takeaways from their webpage makes it easy for me to grab dinner for the commuting train ride. Recommend Gebratener Reis Yangzhou Style and Peking Ente (even if the "Pancakes" were not authentic)!
林昭辰 — Google review
Every dish we ordered was quite good. Szechuan soy duck, crispy shrimp, pork belly, and udon.
Terence T — Google review
Very delicious food and super friendly staff. Would recommend it to everyone!

I was very disappointed because the soup base was delicious, but there was so much fat on the meat that I ended up wasting half the bowl. There was no indication on the menu that the meat was mostly fat. Had I known, I would have ordered something else.

Hongxi, a Chinese restaurant located in Zurich, has gained attention for its uncompromisingly authentic cuisine that doesn't cater to European tastes. The kitchen is run by two professionals and offers a wide range of Cantonese specialties such as Xiao Long Bao, Har Gau, Siu Mai, and Char Siu Bao.
It's such a pleasant surprise to be able to eat such authentic Cantonese food in Zurich! 😍😍😍The restaurant has a warm and comfortable environment, and the staff are enthusiastic and attentive.🥰🥰 Kam Heong Prawns, xiaolongbao, and spring rolls are all rich in texture and incredibly delicious! I'll definitely bring my friends here next time!🥳🥳🥳
Lily — Google review
We were probably a little forgotten during service, next to the other well-filled tables with larger company. But until the interruption, everything was served quickly and in a friendly manner. The plates are beautifully presented and the food is exceptionally good for Europe. Varied and full of flavour. I'll definitely be back...
Thomas K — Google review
We were two and were extremely disappointed with the food quality. The dishes were so oily, and one even had chicken feet inside!!!—. The chicken itself was of very poor quality, with bones. The rice was fried with what seemed to be either old or burned oil (smelly). The vegetables were so much oily. Overall, a very disappointing experience. We definitely would not recommend this place. 62CHF
Ario S — Google review
Love the food here! Spare ribs are very delicious. The fried chicken is beyond my expectations. It is crispy outside but soft inside. Fried rice is also tasty with nice portion for 2 people. The staffs are lovely. Suggest to reserve the table before as the restaurant is quite full of people all the time.
Thamonwan D — Google review
The dim sum is fresh. Stir-fried okra and chicken are both very delicious. There is the so-called "wok hei."Next time, I will try other dishes👍
Joyce P — Google review
There are surely not many Chinese restaurants in Switzerland I go to. Bein spoiled from living years in London, it took me a long time to find a dim sum place of quality. Hongxi is just a wonderful place. Great food, unique dishes, and a super friendly and entrepreneurial team. There is no visit in Zurich for me, without going to Hongxi. Really amazing, in particular the black pepper beef, the sea food dumplings and so on. Enjoy!

fried shrimp in Tofu skin is very testy Fried rice noodle with beef in cream egg sauce is the best. Not the typical fried noodle you would expect but super nice. The ventilation system should definitely be improved or renewed.

Cantonese restaurant
Restaurant
Uncle 7 - 七叔 茶餐厅 is a traditional Cantonese restaurant that offers an authentic taste of Hong Kong cuisine. Known for its delectable dim sum, this establishment has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The menu features a wide variety of classic Chinese delicacies, including the popular dim sum and hotpot dishes. The friendly staff and inviting atmosphere make it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family.
It was fantastic. The dumplings tasted very well. They were steamed and had such a nice texture. There was a meat, vegetarian and shrimp options! There was also dish with pork meat in buns. Tasted fantastic as well. For dessert there was coconut sticky rice balls with a filling that wasn't too sweet. For dessert, there was also buns filled with vanilla. It was fantastic. Costs: Dumplings 9.80 Franken (3 or 4 pieces) Noodles with vegetables: 13 Franken. Ambiente: Nice. You can sit inside or outside.
Philipp E — Google review
They have pretty good range dim sum menu — we got tofu rolls and steamed rice rolls and both are decent considering we’re in Europe. But the fried beef noodles we ordered was very bland. The hospitality of the staff is great. I would consider come back again for more dim sum
Desmond L — Google review
Overall need to be improved. Food quality is the soul of restaurant. This eggplant pot is the most salty food I have eaten in my life, I knew a how does a good eggplant pot taste like. It is not normal, it tasted like they accidentally add too much salt and soya sauce into it. I rate this - 1 out of 5, i ate 1/3, but really can't take more, becoz extremely thirsty. Siu mei dim sum made from pork only, itself without much taste. I rate this 2 out of 5. A staff came to ask if I finish already. I mentioned to him it was the most salty food i have tasted in my life. Later he showed me his kindness to offer a clear carrot soup. This soup is better than the main food. At least solve my acid. They have removed the cost of my soft drink chf 4.5 from the bill.
Kenji S — Google review
Felt so lucky to get authentic tasting Chinese food in Zurich! I think the kitchen-cooked dishes are the way to go for sure with this restaurant (although we didn’t try any dim sum ourselves so they could also be fantastic)! We ordered the braised pork belly with preserved vegetables and the water spinach, plus some rice. Both dishes were very good and the restaurant felt very clean with great ambience. Tap water will cost you 2FR but it comes with a lemon slice.
Sindy T — Google review
The Tom Yum soup we ordered was extremely salty, we had to pick out the ingredients in it and ate it with the fried rice we ordered. The soup was totally left untouched. The skin of the dumplings was too thick and hard to our liking. The taste was not up to our expectation also. Fried rice and lotus glutinous rice were decent though.
Agnes T — Google review
Delicious dim sum and good Chinese food, with plenty of tables, and extremely kind staff. Late on a weekday night, most seats were available. Unlike in summer, no outdoor seats (way too cold for that!). Good selection of dim sum, which was very tasty. Beef with black pepper was also good. Quantity and prices slightly above other Chinese restaurants. The staff was very attentive and nice. Overall a good experience. Second time there, and probably not the last.
Alejandro N — Google review
The food is nice and the people are very nice too! The fried rice is definitely a must and the dim sum was quite good too! Wouldn't recommend ordering the black pepper sauce beef but everything else is definitely a good shout!
Pedro S — Google review
Very steep price for what it is. Claimed as a Cantonese chacantan, but am very disappointed, as those dishes are really what I can make at home. The vegetable dish cooked by Cantonese wok was ok. The rest seemed steamed from frozen dim sum. Chicken feet was super bad quality due to the ingredient supply. If you are not familiar with Cantonese dim sum, it should be ok. But then in general it’s over priced.

Nestled in the heart of Zurich, Hato is a contemporary Japanese fine-dining gem that elevates traditional sushi and other Japanese dishes with innovative flair. The restaurant showcases an impressive array of culinary delights, including bluefin tuna omakase and grilled black cod, all crafted from seasonal ingredients to highlight their natural flavors.
Great Japanese fusion restaurant. I was blown away by the chef‘s creativity. The way how he uses Japanese ingredients is very unique (I am Japanese). Very high quality food and drinks. This is a place for people who prefers quality over quantity. Staff was friendly and flexible. Looking forward to coming back and trying other menu.

A restaurant worthy of a Michelin star! It is truly an exceptional culinary experience. The food is out of this world and the staff are extremely thoughtful and attentive. It is absolutely one of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Highly recommend!
Stefanie K — Google review
Food was good. We really enjoyed the dishes with delicious sauces and the mochis. Sushis are overpriced and the overall wait time discouraged us from re-ordering more. The interior is nicely decorated. Although the terrace is on the street, it's nice in summer.
Oriane P — Google review
Actually, from first glance I was waiting for smthg much better, inside is ok, but the first reaction is the smell of the kitchen in the restaurant. This shouldn’t be. Portions are ok by size, the thing that signature salat was not so crispy duck as its written. Woks with honey much better the beef one. Later in 2 hours i had some problems with my stomach, what actually never happens to me. Finalizing- expectations vs reality are not equal.

This place fell far far short of it's reputation. Waited 30 mins for starters and mine was forgotten. Sushi excellent but the duck was overcooked and underwhelming. Ambiance is cool but starting to look a bit used.

Really excellent food in elegant surroundings - perfect date place. Highly recommend the shrimp dumplings, shrimp tempura, crispy duck salad, all the sushi and the Thai sea bass. Service was uncomplicated and friendly. The prices are high, but at least in this case the quality matches the price. Will return!

The ambiance is very nice. The service is good. Our service spoke a good English and a little bit German. Her recommendation where very good. The food was very good. We tried several sushi's which our service recommended. All of them where very good. My favorite was the sushi with prawn and mango. It is definitely a high class restaurant but the prices for the sushi are ok.

SIGN eat & drink is a stylish and intimate Mediterranean restaurant located in Wallisellen, just a short walk from the train station. The warm and attentive service makes it an ideal choice for a romantic evening, especially on quieter nights like Mondays and Wednesdays. Guests praise the impeccable service and delicious cuisine, with highlights including steaks, shrimp, tartar, tuna, and reindeer stroganoff. The atmosphere is described as hip and inviting whether dining inside or on the patio.
Great place. We went for our work Christmas Dinner. Not disappointed !! Great food cooked by chef in front of us, great service, very nice room with projection of log cabin on the wall.

One of my favorite spots in Wallisellen! Sign isn’t just a bar — it’s an experience. Edu behind the bar crafts amazing drinks with passion, always with a smile and great energy. In the service, Barbara and Gabi are two of the kindest and most welcoming people you’ll ever meet — always friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. The atmosphere is cozy, vibrant, and full of good vibes. Highly recommended for any time of day!

What a wonderful night celebrating a birthday at this restaurant! This was our second visit, but the first time we got to celebrate such a special occasion here, and it truly exceeded all expectations. The friendly and welcoming service personnel made us feel right at home. It was heartwarming + the kitchen staff came out to greet us with a cheerful "Happy Birthday!" - that made the evening even more memorable. We were pleasantly surprised when the CEO of the restaurant, Marco Früh took the time to greet us as well. It’s always nice to see leadership that genuinely cares about their guests! The atmosphere was lively, with other guests joining in on the birthday celebrations, complete with sparkling lights and cheerful birthday music. It felt like a true celebration of joy and togetherness. The food and drinks—absolutely fantastic and reasonably priced! The highlight for me was definitely the cheesecake 🤩—it was simply divine! A huge thank you to the entire team for making this experience so special. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for any occasion, especially birthdays. You won’t be disappointed! 100% recommended! 🎂🥳. We would definitely come back to experience it all over again!

Great place. This is wonderful restaurant. Food is on another level. Menu is presented to you on an ipad which for me was a bit complicated as i can't work with apple products so it was confusing. Can't say anything bad all was great. Highly recommend

Visiting this Restaurant is a good idea. Large wine selection, food is perfectly cooked (they removed rösti from the menu because Marco was not happy enough, good choice!) also make good drinks at the bar.

Beautiful place with great ambiance. The food was exceptional. We didn’t know you can enjoy a schnitzel or a Gordon blue that much! Also the ceasars salad was fantastic. Fresh and delicious! Service was good.

Thank you so much for our amazing Birthday Celebration! I've traveled the world and have to say the outstanding experience here was second to none. Amazing Staff/Bartender/Chef providing world class service and the food was EXCELLENT. Most importantly although we are Foreigners we felt welcomed and treated as local friends! WOW! Wonderful joyful event! We live in Asia and in the area for vacation and to this day we would travel to Zurich again just to dine here for a day. THANK YOU for an AWESOME experience!

Sign is hospitality at its finest. This is - by far - the friendliest, warmest restaurant I have been to in Switzerland. The service is always impeccable. Their food is "chef's kiss" amazing. I have had almost everything on the menu, from their steaks, shrimp, tartar and tuna to the Thai buffet they used to have on Tuesdays. Whether you are on the patio or in the restaurant, the atmosphere is very hip and inviting, something you can see in the photos. It's worth the trip from every direction. You won't be disappointed.

Nestled in the heart of Oerlikon, Jao Praya offers a vibrant escape into authentic Thai cuisine that promises to awaken your senses. This restaurant embraces traditional dining customs, encouraging guests to order multiple dishes at once, just like in Thailand. The moment you enter, you're enveloped by stunning decor and a warm ambiance created by the friendly staff. Each dish bursts with genuine flavors and spices that transport you straight to Southeast Asia.
Been here for work quite a bit and haven’t had thai. This is my first and it was excellent! Super authentic and they even had the fish sauce with bird eye chilis. I had the fried shrimp for an app and then had the Tom Kha gai. It’s one of the better ones I had (and I lived in Asia and used to be a regular in Bangkok. Really good and you can tell all dishes had high quality ingredients, of which is the norm for Switzerland. Am coming back! And if you tell them to make it spicy it’ll be authentic thai spicy!
Benny T — Google review
We've been ordering home from Jao Praya for quite some time and it was always great. Now we finally made it to their restaurant and had a great time. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is friendly, welcoming and attentive. No white washed Thai food if you order spicy, flavorful and plenty of options. I can highly recommended eating there if you like authentic thai food. We will come or order again.
Thomas B — Google review
Went here for the red curry with fried duck and Thai milk tea. Have to say, it wasn’t the best Thai I had. The curry itself tastes good. But the fried duck wasn’t crispy, pineapple was from a can, milk tea was a can drink as well (thought it was homemade). But maybe can’t expect too much at such a fair price point plus the dishes do come in a big portion. Maybe I’ll come back in the future to try other dishes
Desmond L — Google review
Beware they serve rotten meat from Thailand. Old lunches/leftovers are sent out on orders. The meat is unedible. They dilute the sauce with water and it tastes terrible.

We had the pad Thai with poulet from the buffet. We know that buffet food is not always the best, but this time we were a bit disappointed. We could barely find chicken in the noodles and the taste was ok. The portion was huge. I still need to try a la carte.

Bund 39 is a shanghainese restaurant with a focus on typical Shanghai 'hu cai' cuisine. The dishes are fresh and easy to order, and the staff is friendly and go the extra mile to make your dining experience enjoyable. The duck was some of the best I've ever had, as was the fish and black fungus.

Wow wow wow. Stumbled upon this place by accident during lunch hours. Wasn't busy at all but I didn't let that deter me as I was craving some pork belly. And OH. MY. GOD. was it amazing. The texture, the taste, the rice. Everything was divine - except the menu soup that was quite bland but when I added some of the pork belly sauce to it, it changed to an incredible soup. Hope this place will exist for a long time to come because I want to come back every time I'm in Zurich. The homemade ice tea is also recommended.

Very helpful and nice people, gorgeous Asian food in the downtown. If u wanna try truly Shanghai food, highly recommended. UPD: my annual visiting proved the good experience so far. Still good and tasty cuisine
Vika P — Google review
Overall a below- average experience, mainly due to food and environment. Food: we were in 6 and we ordered some dumplings and cucumber salad as entree. The dumplings were nothing special, and the vinegar sauce that came as a dressing was not balanced at all, very strong taste mostly due to poor quality ingredients. We ordered different mains which were ok but again nothing outstanding. The eggplants were immersed in sauce that covered all other flavours, fried rice was not only very tiny in portion, but also very poor in taste. Atmosphere: we were seating in the outside terrace in the back, which was unfortunately not very curated, it faced other buildings, the plants were not tidy, tables not very clean and no cushions on chairs. Overall it felt it was missing some love and passion in everything. Also value for money not great, we spend more than 40 chf per person with no drinks and not so much food.

Taiwanese restaurant
Lotus Garden is a popular Chinese restaurant located on the outskirts of Zurich, known for its cozy ambiance and authentic, tasty dishes. The restaurant is highly recommended by the Chinese community and offers a variety of vegetarian options. Despite being small, it attracts large crowds even on weekdays due to its delicious food made with high-quality ingredients. While the portions are generous and reasonably priced, be prepared for long waits and slow service during peak hours. Customers praise the excellent teas and friendly service at this establishment.
Had really good grilled fish! 60 chf but definitely worth it with so much veggies, enough for two people. The sweet potatoes fries are seasoned with plum powder, super authentic! bubble tea is also decent.

People who love spicy food, go here! We loved this place. A family friendly place with good service. Portions are huge! We went there for an early dinner and it wasn’t crowded. We walked in and got a table with no wait. Added pictures of spring onion pancakes, fried chili chicken and hot pot beef.

Its a good chinese restaurant. We ordered fried chicken noodles, Chef's recommended chicken in mini-wok with Rice and Tofuyaki in starter. All tasted very good, its just that quantity was too much for 2 person.
Vishmita S — Google review
We LOVE this place. They have all the Taiwanese comfort and staple food dishes you could hope for! They have many vegetarian dishes and are also happy to make dishes vegetarian (like the mapo tofu). Some of my favorite dishes are: their scallion pancake, tofu teppanyaki, eggplant and tofu dish. My partner enjoyed the three cups chicken, braised pork and the crispy duck! Amy and her staff are so lovely and hospitable. The restaurant has limited seating and is always full so it’s worth it to book a reservation!

The food is out of this world. I can’t stop eating. Taiwanese food is so flavorful and comforting. This restaurant definitely fit the Taiwanese food perfectly. Susskartoffeln is a must order. When you eat it the Taiwanese night market flavor is showing on your tongue right away. The Szechuan spicy grilled sea bass is unbeatable. You can put any kind of Vegetable, beef or tofu in it make the dish heavenly!!!

Authentic Taiwanese food and beer. They definitely need better vents and the food is greasy, but yet so delicious. I will probably return every two weeks as long as my vital organs survive:) . We tried most of the menu with spring rolls, seaweed salad, duck, vegetables and even cauliflower and everything tasted impeccable.

Excellent meat dishes in a comfortable restaurant. Lots of options for vegetarians, too. There are a lot of Asian guests so you know the food is authentic. The food comes in various ranges of spiciness depending on the dish, this indicated on the menu, and you can order everything extra spicy.

KIN is a culinary gem nestled in Zurich, where Asian-inspired dishes come to life through the use of predominantly local ingredients. The restaurant offers an enticing five-course Chef's Choice menu at a reasonable price, making it accessible for those mindful of their budget. Each visit to KIN feels like a delightful adventure, with standout dishes like the Korean Fried Cauliflower that keeps patrons coming back for more.
My new favorite dinner spot. Simple yet amazing tasting menu, for a great price. I’ve gone now multiple times and can not recommend it more. Cocktails are also spot on! Definitely get the miso salmon, best cooked salmon I’ve ever had!
Hue T — Google review
Amazing experience from beginning the start. We took the chef's menu and were really surprised by how diverse each taste was. Food is very qualitative. We were a bit sceptical about quantities but in the end we were full and here quality really wins over quantity. The only thing that could be improved in our opinion is service - we would have loved to have one person to take care of us the whole evening and not having each time someone different. Also the restaurant was quite cold because of ventilation, people were eating with their jackets on - until they turned it off. Will definitely come back and recommend this place! Thanks for having us!
Mattia M — Google review
*** Warning*** I'm going on a little rant... ;) Swiss restaurants sometimes get a bad rep for having really expensive food that also isn't that great. I've been to several restaurants that prove this wrong, but I have also been to restaurants that fit right into that category. Kin is in that category. I'm sorry guys it was just my experience!!! I also figure that enough people like this place that my review isn't really going to hurt anybody. We typically eat vegetarian but we decided to get real wild and go for the pescatarian tasting menu. This was 75CHF per person, with 7 dishes. The dishes were meant to be shared among the two of us, so when you look at a dish it really costs around 21CHF. We started with two salads that were quite yummy, then had two other fun bites - kimchi with peas and then a salad wrap with a really yummy fried chickpea thing, and then salmon with a side of greens, very nicely seasoned broccolini and a final dessert. I can understand the salmon being pricey, but the other dishes (aside from the broccolini) were just very small and nothing totally insane. I left feeling slightly underwhelmed. The service was very friendly and attentive.
Amanda W — Google review
The food was good but underwhelming given the really god reviews and 14/20 on G. Millaut. friendly service though and nice atmosphere.
Charly B — Google review
This is probably one of the 10 best restaurants I have been in Zurich. Incredible innovative food and everything with a super nice twist. It is Asian Fusion Cuisine without claiming to be food from a specific country. The Korean Friend Cauliflower was one of the best things I’ve ever had. Staff was friendly and always there when needed. Only negativ point ist, that between one of the courses it took like 20 minutes until we got the next course. Another really cool thing was the fact they only offered local swiss beer!
Marcel C — Google review
I came here for my birthday dinner and was excited until I read some reviews saying it was overpriced Asian fusion food. The restaurant is a bit hidden and there is only street parking available (good luck finding something…). The restaurant’s interior is black themed - tables, curtains, etc. The music is more upbeat like hip hop, so not as relaxing but still good. The menu card changes, and there were 9 options (including 1 dessert option). We chose the surprise menu, thinking it would be different than the 9 options on the menu card (it wasn’t). Do yourself a favor and DONT order the surprise menu and order the things you actually want. 4 of the 6 surprise menu plates were vegetarian. We also saved 4 CHF getting the surprise menu. The table next to us saved 1 CHF. One good thing about the menu is that they can accommodate any food allergies or make the dish vegan/vegetarian if you request. But I find it a bit steep to charge the 75 CHF per person for a vegetarian meal versus a meal with meat… The portions were smaller sized (I left hungry and I am a petite woman and was sharing half the dishes with a man). The 1st dish was the carrot laab, which was surprisingly good. The 2nd dish was the baked beetroot salad, which consisted of Chinese cabbage, pickled radishes, baked beet, with a ponzu sauce (but it tasted more like it was made with Calamansi instead of lemons or limes). The 3rd dish were the no potato fries made of radish, which were good, but not sure if it was worth that price. The 4th dish for us was the miso salmon (our neighbors had the pulled oxtail as I preferred no Mayo). This was also good, but would have preferred the salmon to be more medium rare or medium as it would then had more texture. The miso marinade is very light so you don’t taste it much. The kale was good, too. The 5th dish was the pho style beef. In my view, this was the most disappointing dish. First it was siedfleisch which is the cheapest of the beef cuts. The wasabi they dumped on top was way too overpowering. The broth concentrate below it was there to call it “pho style”. There was a dumpling on top (har go wrapper) with bone marrow (not so much inside). Before we got the final dish, the waitress literally wiped down the table with a wet rag. Not sure why this was necessary, as you could smell the cleaner product right before you get dessert. The final dish was the only dessert option, which was a pandan cream with chocolate crunch and canned pears at the bottom. Don’t waste your time or money on the wines and stick to the cocktails. All in all, it was an ok experience. As the others said, it was overpriced. I also left hungry. Not sure I would come back again.
Marni A — Google review
High quality and super tasty innovative food with a touch of Asia (miso cheesecake is highflying recommended)! We also enjoy a very nice atmosphere and helpful service. It is a bit pricing but worth of the experience. Only thing that could be better was the setting of the table and bench. If there is a bit more space between guests and more confort chair, that would be even perfect.
Juan Z — Google review
A great first dining experience for us at KIN. Asian fusion inspired restaurant, introducing traditional Japanese ingredients such as miso, panko or dashi in innovative creations (excellent notes for the cow tartare, the “fake” tempura shrimps and the miso cheesecake). We also enjoyed the wine selection, they offer amongst other a small selection of natural wines. Very kind and warm-hearted staff; interior is dark but not somber, kitchen is open so you see what is happening depending on the seating, love the music selection✌🏻modern tables and benches (and Covid dividers). Well visited and lively. I warmly recommend it 💜

This is my time in Zurich and I went to this bar with my friend on the very first day. It was a balmy sunny day. I had the sundowner my friend had the Paloma. Both of those drinks are very nice. We also ordered the french fries they had sprinkled some seasoning on top of that which made it really tasty. I highly recommend it, especially if you can get one of those corner seats on the outside

I wasn't entirely sure what "a la discrétion" meant. I enjoy a hearty breakfast or brunch, but after many years of staying in business hotels, I can no longer stand buffets. The offering here is a kind of innovative middle way, and actually not a bad one. The table is not overloaded but richly and colourfully laid... allowing you to enjoy your meal together without having to rush back and forth to the buffet. The quality and service were good, but the plait should not be cut too early as the cut surface was very dry. The room itself is a bit gloomy, with a rather charmless 80s look. The terrace is cool in summer.

Stopped in for a light lunch and couldn't be happier. We had the bao buns and a California rolls on the rooftop deck with a nice view of Zurich including the observatory and the Jules Verne lounge. When we visited the building was under renovation but don't let that put you off

This place had been my number one spot for years. I celebrated my birthday here, regularly came for late-night dinners, and enjoyed Sunday brunches with friends. I truly loved this rooftop. However, two weeks ago I made a dinner reservation for two and unfortunately arrived 15 minutes late. I tried to call and even sent a text message, but received no response. When we arrived, the staff member (who struggled with German) informed us that our table had been given away and offered us seats at the bar instead. Honestly, that’s disappointing. Loyal customers deserve better communication and a bit more effort in service. Would love to go back, but there’s a but…

The place has an amazing view and atmosphere. The food is also good, I would like to try something else before giving 4 stars though. I'm looking forward to come back: the service is not too warm but polite and helpful. The menu is a bit unusual, with many original options, quite nice! Recommended probably even just for an aperitivo or a drink!

Hotel Old Town is a charming accommodation located in the heart of Zurich, offering easy access to Paradeplatz and Bahnhofstrasse. Situated in the historic Altstadt or Old Town, this hotel provides a comfortable stay for families, couples, and business travelers. The Renaissance-era buildings within the area have been updated with modern interiors to cater to global guests. The hotel features unassuming rooms and an excellent restaurant that steals the show with its delicious food and attentive staff.
My wife and I spent three nights at the Hotel Old Town just last week. The location is fantastic! Our room was very comfortable, warm and quiet during the night. Breakfast every morning was excellent, as were the two evening meals that i enjoyed there. Steak one night ( delicious ) and seabass the last night . Will check in again during our next visit to Zurich for sure. FH

This hotel was in a great location, close to a lot of restaurants and shops, and very walkable from public transportation. The room was fine, but not super clean, especially in the bathroom. I don't know if I would have felt entirely safe staying here on my own, since the deadbolt didn't work and the main door was often propped open, but since I wasn't solo it was okay.

Small room with only basic amenities. Central location but very noisy at night and early in the morning. Ear plugs recommended. Check in at the restaurant below, staff not welcoming or friendly. We felt like 2nd class citizens to the restaurant. Too warm in the room. AC not on/working.

please tell the manager at Hotel Old Town, Zürich that the reception at the arrival was below all standards. We communicated in good time that we needed to leave the rooms early (7.30 am) and asked for an early breakfast or a slightly packed breakfast. We were greeted by irritated snorts and no understanding. No brakfast was provided. NB the breakfast was prepaid, but we didn’t get any refund or compensation.

If you only care about the location ONLY, this hotel is for you, 15 mins walk to downtown Funchal. But if you care about any other things beside the location, I do NOT recommend this hotel! First of all, the address is confusing and the address on the booking confirmation is their main location, where your room could be in another location with a completely different address. The staff in their main location told us the room was ready but when we checked in at the “actual” location, the receptionist there told us it was not ready, when we corrected her then she proceeded with checking us in. She also did not tell us that the pool closes at 7pm and we ARE NOT allowed to even go to the pool to watch sunset - even not for swimming. We were there one day waiting for the sunset and the pool guard kicked us out as if we were not their customers. We told him we did not want to swim, just want to stay to watch sunset, he fought and kicked us out! We let the receptionist know and she was just sympathy but did not do anything! About the room, there is no ice machine! Wifi only work when you stay close to the receptionist desk. Toilet does not flush well, you have to flush multiple times, bathtub leaks water out everytime we take a shower, the room floor is oily and sandy and the cleaning service never clean the floor! They literally just tuck the blanket and that’s it, they didnt even take the trash out! The hotel does not provide flip-flop either for being next to the ocean. Claiming to be a 4 star hotel, I do not believe this even close to 2 stars. If we knew we could not access the pool after 7pm (when sunset is 7:30-8pm when we were there) we would have never booked this hotel!
Hoang G — Google review
This is a hotel on top of a steakhouse which seems to take priority. There is nothing like a front desk, but instead you need to try to bug someone at the bar and use a back door to get in. It felt more like a hostel in that regard than a hotel. The location is excellent in that it is literally in the middle of the bustling old town, but this also means that it will be loud at night. There was a lot of noise until around 2-3 AM during the weekend, so be prepared for that.

Located in Zurich, the Zürcher Weihnachtsallee Bar offers a unique and authentic Chinese food experience at Uncle 7. This spot is favored by locals and promises an unparalleled dining experience. Additionally, situated on Europaallee, the bar is a fantastic way to kick off the Christmas season with its enticing selection of mulled wines including classic, with a shot, and even white mulled wine with ginger for those seeking something different.
(Translated by Google) The bar on Zurich's Christmas Allee on Europaallee is a great start to the Christmas season! The Christmas market has only just opened, but the mulled wine is already convincing. The selection leaves nothing to be desired: classic mulled wine for 6.90 CHF, mulled wine with a shot for 9.90 CHF and even white mulled wine with ginger – an exciting variant – also for 9.90 CHF. If you don't like mulled wine, you can also find punch or other normal drinks. Of course the prices are typical Zurich, but the quality is good and the atmosphere makes up for it. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly staff behind the counter, who do a good job despite the hustle and bustle and keep visitors in a good mood. For a cozy mulled wine stop on Christmas Allee, this bar on Gustav-Gull-Platz is definitely recommended!
