Jonker 88 is a renowned dining spot in Melaka, situated on the lively Jonker Street. It's celebrated for serving traditional Peranakan delicacies such as Nyonya Laksa and Baba Laksa, along with an assortment of cendol, including the popular durian cendol. This eatery is a favorite among locals and tourists alike who seek authentic local cuisine in a bustling historical setting.
Stopped by for a bowl of cendol after a hot day walking around jonker. Managed to snag seats right at the storefront with fans blasting on our backs. Order at the counter, ~RM7 per bowl. Each bowl that came out looked consistent. Nice cendol!

I had to deliberate a fair bit before deciding on a rating here as I had two completely different opinions on the two food items I tried here: Nyonya Asam Laksa and Baba Cendol. The Nyonya Asam Laksa was great, it was really tasty and the sourness was just nice. The standard still remained equally good compared to ten over years back when I first tried it. However, the Cendol was a huge disappointment. It had no fragrance from the coconut milk or gula melaka at all. The standard of this was a far cry from that of the past. Seats are limited so expect to queue during peak hours. Ordering and collection is done via self service. Prices are honestly quite steep for the portion and ambience here. Overall, I wouldn't make the effort to queue but I may still return for their asam laksa if there is no wait.
GG K — Google review
Taste: 3/5 (Overall rating, Chendol + Laksa) - 5/5 for Chendol itself Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Affordability: 5/5 Would I come back: Yes! It a self-service ordering system. Queue for seats and go to the counter to order & pickup your food. Probably the best Chendol I tried at Jonker Street. I tried a few places nearby(iykyk). Their gula melaka is so rich and thick and their green worms had a bite to it! The coconut milk was decent as well! Would come back and eat this again and try their Assam Laksa. I am not a fan of Laksa, to me their Laksa was too spicy, no lemak taste at all. And they did not use the thick beehoon but used thin beehoon itself, which I feel, does not go well with the Laksa. But their fried toppings were crispy and hot!
Reina T — Google review
This is one famous shop in Jonkers. No matter what time you visit, there will always be a queue. They’re know for Laksa and their Ais Kachang. Since the queue was long that day, the staff asked whether we came for Laksa or Ais. Once we said Ais, we were immediately told to go inside as we were allowed to sit on the bench. If you opted for Laksa, you will get seated at a table. Chose to get the Ais Kachang Mangga to beat the heat that day. The dish consists of shaved ice, red bean, coconut jelly, corn, some syrup, and sliced mango. It was so refreshing!! The portion was also quite hefty & can easily be shared between 2 people.
Maharani — Google review
The restaurant is always packed whenever we visit. This time, we arrived around 6 p.m. and, thankfully, there was no queue — but our laksa turned out to be the last bowl of the day. It was a memorable meal, with everything being absolutely satisfying. We’ll definitely be back for more.
Leng S — Google review
Ordered a Nyonya Asam Laksa and Iced White Coffee for lunch on Monday, no crowd at all, so I could get a seat directly. It’s a self-service for ordering and collecting food. The Nyonya Asam Laksa was nice enough. It was tasty, and the sourness was perfect. But compared to another Asam Laksa in Penang, I think this Nyonya Asam Laksa could put more garnishes like lettuce and red onion.

Food = 2 / 3 stars Service & Ambience = 0.5 / 1 star Value = 0.5 / 1 star We came here before many years ago. A man welcomed us in, and mentioned that it's last order. According to the sign inside the shop, they are open until 6:30pm, but seems like that was extended, at least for today, or the sign was outdated. I ordered cendol (RM7), while my wife ordered asam laksa with fried fu chuk (RM15). Cendol was OK, but asam laksa not so nice. Spicy but not fragrant. The fried fu chuk was good. There is not much service to talk about, since it's mostly self-service. Place order at the counter, and bring the food to tables by ourselves too. Prices too expensive for the quality of the food presented. 3 stars.
Alshane — Google review
The laksa is really one of the best I've had. The Gula melaka ice kachang is also amazing. Loved it very much. Will go back again! Wish they accepted card, it's a tourist hotspot after all.

Cendol Kampung Hulu in Melaka is a must-visit for those seeking an authentic and satisfying cendol experience. The cendol here stands out with its rich and creamy coconut milk base, made using a special Korean bingsu ice machine. What sets it apart is the use of frozen coconut milk as the foundation, giving it a unique and indulgent flavor.
My all-time favourite! It’s a must-have every time I’m in town. Their cendol is extra special because the shaved ice is made from santan, giving it a rich, creamy taste. So refreshing and delicious! Unfortunately, the price has gone up quite a bit, but it’s still worth it for the quality and unique flavour.

Located near river banks with old vibes of Melaka. Their Cendol Durian has authentic taste and savory. If their portion was too big, u can share with your friend or couple while eating here. Their service was so good and friendly.
Moh S — Google review
In the blistering heat, what better way to cool off than a fine bowl of Chendol? I am not a professional food reviewer, but trust me when I say this, the Chendol here was worth the hype. Got the Chendol Biasa and was pleasantly surprised when it came with a scoop of ice cream on top! The ice quality was amazing (finely shaved ice) which made the experience all the more sweeter. One bowl is never enough! Do swing by Cendol Kampung Hulu if you are in Malacca and have the opportunity.
Imran M — Google review
First time trying food around this tourist area. Expecting delay in service (was a bit delay because they need to cater so many people at one time because it’s like a hall room that offer different and variety of meals) food quality probably doesn’t reach my standard (a bit of for me) tasteless nasi lemak…! (doesn’t kick or giving at all) Char Kuey Teow taste so so, so… satay doesn’t cook well (raw part spotted) but the kuah kacang taste so good… other than that, I’m not sure… the view wasn’t really good though…
Mohd A — Google review
For me as indonesian it doesnt meet my expectation , maybe its just not my kind of cendol Its good but its too creamy for me 🙏 But they have lots of menu and its interesting
Tritan A — Google review
Melaka Cendol Surprise me is the difference of shave ice & mix with coconut milk santan, taste refreshing! Gula Melaka is a bit sweet to me. Maybe I can ask for less sweet next time. Regular Cendol has a scoop of ice cream. Looks really appetizing. RM9.90 per serving. Steep price with bigger serving. Allocated along riverside. May sit in or outside tables. Easy to takeaway off to go.
SH L — Google review
The cendol was quite ordinary with very little cendol despite being the main item on the menu. During our visit, their system was having issues—which we were perfectly fine with. But then, what were all the staff there for? Instead of assisting customers, they just acted as if nothing was wrong. Even when we looked at them, they pretended not to notice. There were plenty of staff laughing and chatting among themselves but only one female staff member attended to our table and even then, when I called her once, she simply nodded and went back to her conversation with friends. At the very least, they could have approached us first. We still had to pay a service charge, but the service was hardly there. The food also did not match what was shown on the menu. There are plenty of better places in Melaka—no need to waste time at overhyped spots like this.
Fya P — Google review
Wandering around Melaka and needing something truly refreshing, Cendol Kampung Hulu is just the place to be! The laid-back vibe is unbeatable—you get to relax outdoors by the historic river, watch the world go by, and soak in the lively buzz of wall art and old shophouses. It’s got that easy charm where you feel comfortable enough to just sit back, chat with friends, and let time flow with the breeze. The star of the scene is, no doubt, the cendol. Each bowl comes loaded with chewy green pandan jelly, creamy coconut milk, and soft red beans, all piled on top of a mountain of silky shaved ice. Rich palm sugar syrup is generously drizzled over, and the flavor burst is something out of this world. For those with bold taste buds, trying the special durian cendol adds a custardy richness that’s just unforgettable. Every scoop gives you a cool, slurpy satisfaction—perfect whether you’re melting from the heat or just craving authentic local sweets.

Dessert restaurant
Justberrys Dessert House is a popular spot in Melaka known for its wide range of local, Taiwanese, and Hong Kong fruit desserts. Their specialty lies in creating delicate and refreshing treats using the 'king of fruits,' with their Durian Kanten with Fresh Pomelo being a top favorite. The generous portion sizes make it perfect for sharing after a day of exploring the city.
The desserts here are divine but the indoor seating is a bit limited, so we decided to enjoy our treats outdoors. We ordered through the QR code provided on our table and it was easy to pay too! The toast and waffles were freshly made and still steaming hot when they’re served. Yum!
AlifDW — Google review
Premium price for mediocre foods. Seasalt Yam Cheese Fountain (RM29.90) was a-okay. Got yam chunks inside. It’s probably because of yam is not that sweet in the first place; you can taste the sweetness of the yam but it was almost bland. I personally think that the cheese is not a good match since the saltiness kinda overpowered the already less-sweet-bland yam. Korean Spicy Sauce Seafood Rojak (RM28.90) truly left me speechless. I really don’t know where is the Korean or spicy in this. I was expecting something like special signature spicy sauce or at least buldak/samyang sauce but all I got is just a normal chili sauce. The food itself was just basically a yong tau foo stuffs (fish cakes, fish balls, bean curd skin etc.) in a bowl thrown with some peanuts, soy(?) sauce, drizzle with mayo and chili sauce, salad as decorations and done. I was truly stunned considering the price. The foods not worth a dime but the place itself was nice and cozy. Love the song choices too.
Ann — Google review
Food was very good and delicious. Varieties of interesting menu that you can choose. But I had to say, your staff services pissed me off a bit. I asked for the ice plain water which were not in the QR menu and the waiter said has to order manually then I did. First, he gives me warm water. I asked for ice plain water again. Secondly, he did give me ice plain water. Third time, my dad asked for ice cubes only. The waiter repeatedly said, 'mineral water???' , my dad replied 'no, ice only' then he returned with TAP WATER? My dad sees he did filled the cup with tap water and it does taste like tap water. Then we asked for ice cubes again , only then he gives us ice cubes with annoyed face. I mean, if you want us to pay the ice water, we will be gladly pays for it. Just hoping that you can fix this. It's such a pity to have an experience like this at a cafe that sells delicious food. Have a good day 🤍
Nisa B — Google review
Visited this restaurant recently and was pleasantly surprised by the durian cendol, which was rich, creamy, and absolutely delightful. The bingsu was also refreshing and enjoyable. However, the chicken karaage/popcorn chicken and fish finger were rather underwhelming — the chicken, in particular, was quite dry with minimal meat, making it tough and less satisfying. On a positive note, the ambiance was pleasant and cozy, food was served promptly, and parking was convenient. Arriving early around 12pm helped avoid any long waiting time. One important point to note: the restaurant does not have a halal certification, which may raise some concerns for Muslim diners.
Ieyla F — Google review
I’ve been here for so many times. Whenever I crave for sweets desserts, definitely come here. I have tried few types of bingsu. All delicious. The portion is quite big and can share for 2-3 people. My fav bingsu here so far is cendol and cheese fountain mango! So yummy! Service here also okay. The cafe environment is nice, good for photos. Recommended for people who craves bingsu to come here!
Al — Google review
If you want come here, just come for the dessert, bingsu. But dont come here for the food. Ive ordered nasi lemak ayam merah, the sambal ayam is too spicy, the chillies not cooked properly. And Nasi lemak sotong spicy, the sotong is salty. Overall dont recommend for food.
Danial H — Google review
You do need to queue for a table. Prices are really premium but it was really good though! Beautiful environment and good music too. There's wifi available.

The Raja Cendol Taming Sari is a dessert shop located in the Bandar Hilir area in Kuala Lumpur that specializes in durian cendol. They have a large variety of durians to choose from, as well as other Fresh Seafood on Ice dishes like heirloom tomato with whipped cream. Locals who enjoy durian cendols are sure to love this spot.
18.11.2019 At 1st I though this is just an average overprice durian cendol that I frequently taste around Malaysia. I was wrong.. this is really good and delicious above average. Cendol was not too sweet & lots of toppings inside. Loved it! The staff also quite nice and friendly.. will come here again for sure
Hazeem H — Google review
We were literally hunting for cendol and then finally came to discover this place. They have a variety of cendols. We tried the mango cendol. The durian lovers would definitely like the durian flavored cendol. The taste was fantastic, and the portion was very generous. If you are going post dinner, do share one portion by 2 persons. The service was good, and the person at the counter was polite and efficient. The sitting arrangement is very ordinary and open air. The place is very touristy and as the name suggested, near Taming Sari, Melaka. Payment can be made by MBB QR or cash. Parking is a nightmare. Park a little away and walk around and to the place.

🐣 Refreshing Treats at Raja Cendol Taming Sari – A Must-Visit Spot in Melaka! 🐣 If you’re visiting the iconic Taming Sari area in Melaka — yes, the one with the revolving tower and surrounded by souvenir shops and other attractions — there’s one local delight you definitely shouldn’t miss: **Raja Cendol Taming Sari**! 🐣 This little spot is perfect for a refreshing break after sightseeing, especially when the Malaysia sun is out in full force. While Melaka is famous for its spicy and tangy *asam pedas*, cendol is another local gem that deserves your attention (and taste buds!). Loads of Cendol Options (Including Durian Lovers’ Heaven) 🐣 At Raja Cendol Taming Sari, you’ll find a wide range of cendol variations, especially for those who love durian. They’ve got different types of durian toppings available which, let’s be honest, can get quite pricey depending on the variety. 🐣 But for us? We decided to keep it classic and go for the **original cendol**, without any durian, to enjoy the pure taste without the strong aroma. Ordering system is straightforward: just head to the cashier, place your order, and pick it up yourself when it’s ready. More Than Just Cendol 🐣 Besides cendol, they also serve curry puff with different fillings like sardine, chicken, beef, and lamb. We tried them too and they were served warm, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Surprisingly, they go really well with a cold bowl of cendol! A Cool Escape in the Midday Heat 🐣 Eating cendol here during a hot Melaka afternoon is honestly one of the best ways to cool down. The sweet aroma of *gula Melaka* (palm sugar) hits you with the first spoonful. It’s rich and fragrant, but not overly sweet just right. One bowl comes generously filled with soft cendol and red beans. Paired with a gentle breeze? Bliss. 🐣 If you’re ever in Melaka and exploring Taming Sari area, make sure to drop by Raja Cendol Taming Sari. It’s a simple stop, but one that’ll definitely leave your taste buds (and maybe your Instagram feed) happy.

took my mom n dad strolling around melaka. came about this cendol place years ago, so thought about having cendol again. D24 durian is OK. ample and generous amount.

This cendol does not even near the taste of authentic cendol like they usually sells on roadside. Everything inside this cendol tastes underwhelming so much it makes me sad.
Lisa R — Google review
I ordered normal cendol and it was 11 ringgit something then I add on longan fruit for 2 ringgit, to be honest the cendol doesn’t even taste like cendol for that price, normal 5 ringgit cendol beside roadside taste damn good then this 🙂 but i enjoyed the longan fruit , and the table also was made by plastic when u put ur hand it’s will bending, feel uncomfortable to eat .

Dessert shop
Bibik House Chendol is a dessert shop that specializes in Nyonya cendol and durian cendol. They use Gula Melaka syrup to enhance the flavour of their cendols, and they also have a good presentation with homemade cendol strands. The durian version is especially flavourful with a generous amount of gooey durian paste in the middle.
If you had only tried the famous chendol at Jonker Street, this is another Chendol place you want to check out. Love the thick and fragrant gula Melaka. You get to pour in your own portiin of chendol. I think putting in a bit at a time helps prevent the chendol from getting frozen all at the same time.
Freddy K — Google review
Refreshing bowl of Cendol after the night market walk. The Gula Melaka (Palm sugar) made the difference. It was not dilute, quite concentrated & flavorful! Can add as much as you desired.
Mike Y — Google review
The gula melaka is concentrated and very nicely blended into the ice cendol. Really worth the try. They sell the gula melaka too, by weight about RM 28 per kg.
是无名 — Google review
I got the original chendol at 10rm, they also sell with the durian puree at 12rm if I remember correctly. The brown sugar in the chendol is really good. It’s been so long since I taste chendol that taste good and melts in my mouth. I’m sure to be back again! Thank you boss for making it so well 🙏🏼

Finally tracked down one of Malacca’s locally recommended Cendol spots in town. While it came highly praised, our experience was just average—the portion was modest for the price at RM10 per bowl. That said, the place is clean, and the boss was genuinely friendly, which added a nice touch to the visit. As a proud Penangite, I’ve got to say—nothing quite beats the nostalgic flavors of my hometown’s famous Cendol. Still, it was fun to give Malacca’s version a try 😋😜

Recently had a short break in Melaka and enjoyed a good durian cendol at Bibik House Chendol on Jonker Street. The place is very clean and tidy with friendly service by an elderly couple. The cendol is incredibly authentic with fresh coconut milk and aromatic gula melaka. The durian pulp made the cendol more refreshing and flavourful. I would consider Bibik House cendol the best due to its fresh ingredients.

Monday, 18Jun2025 We had a free evening, hence we explored some interesting eateries in Jonker Street. Walked into Bibik House to try their famous Nonya Chendol. The shaved ice was very fine and the coconut milk seemed to be freshly pressed and stall holder was generous when she poured into the shaved ice. Sufficient gula malaka was poured into each bowl as well. And we were “encouraged” to help ourselves with more gula malaka placed on each table. We were tempted but none of us added any more as the dessert was already sweet. We must say the chendol was one of the best we had eaten so far during this trip to Malacca. The cost of MYR10 each bowl appeared on the high side but we felt the dessert was worth it as products used were mostly natural and fresh. We ordered another of the stall’s specialty - the glutinous rice ball; which was flavored with blue pea flowers, also dipped into free flow gula malaka. We only consumed a small ball each as we didn’t want more carbohydrates 😂. It was pretty good though. There were two versions of Chendol with Durian - one with Durian Puree (cost MYR18) and another with fresh Durian pulp (MYR38). But we didn’t want to try these.
Alan T — Google review
Boss said if not nice no need to pay!!! At the end we paid… Is nice especially the Gula Melaka (unlimited refill on every table), but how much can u add (it’ll be super sweet) The only thing I want to comment is the Cendol…too little with just a small cup!!! It serves separately!!! With this price I think should give more cendol & red beans!!! Overall it tastes good, but not worth if the cendols served so little!!!

Christina EE is a must-visit spot in Melaka, Malaysia for its delectable Nyonya Cendol. This refreshing treat features pandan rice noodles and kidney beans drizzled with gula Melaka (palm sugar syrup) and sweet coconut milk, making it the perfect escape from the heat. The coconut ice and finely shaved ice drenched in pure gula melaka provide a blissful taste of rich palm sugar.
Underrated shophouse for authentic Melaka chendol. You can add your own hula Melaka is you fancy more. Each censor is RM7. The bosses are very friendly & prices are reasonable. We were offered samples of homemade pineapple tarts which are less sweet & have the traditional taste. Will definitely recommend this place.
Pepperonipretzel — Google review
Can't really understand why the rating is so high as I found the cendol and pineapple tarts quite disappointing. The gula melaka here is very obviously diluted and mixed with sugar. It was really sweet, of a thinner consistency, and lacked fragrance. It honestly didn't taste very nice. The portion was also really tiny compared to other places at the same price. Pineapple tarts here were average, they weren't bad, but there are other better options. Overall, I wouldn't come back as the food was disappointing and not value for money.
GG K — Google review
Plenty of stalls in the area selling chendol, but my husband insisted on this one — he swears by Google Reviews. Honestly, I wouldn’t have known this shop sold chendol if not for Google Maps. It’s a bit of a hidden gem, tucked away and not obvious at first glance. We dropped by for a bowl of durian chendol. Musang King wasn’t available, so we went with the alternative durian at a single scoop. It hit the spot, especially in the sweltering heat. A little on the sweet side for both of us, but perfect for sharing between two. Since the shop is also known for its pineapple tarts, we grabbed a box of their square-shaped ones. They have a rich, buttery flavour — definitely one of the more fragrant versions I’ve tried. Shelf life is about 3 weeks, which gives you time to savour (or gift) them!

Delicious cendol with rich gula melaka, soft red bean and fresh cendol. Friendly owner too! Truly a must-try.
Prianga V — Google review
Located right across Tiong Hwa is Christina Ee, a shop selling local produce such as pineapple tarts, gulai Melaka and other pastries. The shop also doubled up as a dessert place where they sell nyonya cendol. Using pure gula Melaka, fresh coconut milk and home cooked red beans - each bowl of this much beloved nyonya cendol indeed tasted fresh and delicious. But what differentiate them from the rest is the fact that they provide extra gula Melaka in jar where one can add as much as they want - great news especially for those who have sweet tooth like yours truly. Everyone agreed that the cendol at Christina Ee was one of the better that we'd tasted.
Boon L — Google review
We were told that we should try Christina Ee's cendol and that we did. We came around 1.30pm on Sunday. They ran out of ice kacang but thankfully the famous Durian Cendol and Nyonya Cendol was still available. The Durian Cendol was already sweet even without additional Gula Melaka. I poured some Gula Melaka on the normal Nyonya Cendol. You can taste that they use fresh ingredients for the cendol and not frozen ones. I liked seeing the bottle of Gula Melaka in front me, giving me the option to put as much as I want (of course I wasn't that greedy!). Oh we also bought the pineapple tarts, and they are delicious (buttery yums). I kept them in the fridge (they should last 3 weeks according to the instructions on the packaging).
Emily C — Google review
Dropped by here for Nyonya Cendol and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The cendol is soft like cotton. Not too sweet, they provided us with the gula melaka to add more sweetness if desired. I didn’t add any gula melaka and found the sweetness perfect. However we found the shaved ice a little hard and chunky. The shop itself sells other local produce and delicacies. They specialise in pineapple tarts which are simply delicious.

Love the delicious double butter pineapple squares (classic, matcha and chocolate) sold here. Tasty cendol and ABC. Friendly bosses and staffs.

Eco Do Bem Cafe & Durian Park is a popular destination in Southeast Asia known for its durians, a beloved fruit with a notorious smell. During the season, these fruits grow to the size of soccer balls and are covered in sharp spikes. Inside, rows of large seeds are surrounded by soft yellow-white flesh that some people compare to custard with an unpleasant taste. The park also features a charming mini cafe where visitors can enjoy their durian feast.
The proprietor had done a fantastic job creating a welcoming café front for their durian farm. The space was clean, bright, airy, and spacious—perfect for relaxing after a long drive. Impressively, I didn’t encounter any mosquitoes during my visit, making the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you’re stopping for a snack or a full meal, this spot catered to all and was clearly popular among tourists. Of course, the highlight here is the durians. You get to pick your own fruit, and the staff will expertly slice it open before serving it neatly at the dining area. The Musang King (Mao Shan Wang) durian I tried was phenomenal—rich, creamy, and absolutely satisfying. I’m already missing that incredible flavor as I type this! With competitive pricing, exceptional dining comfort, and top-quality durians, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to any durian lover.

It’s a super chill place to eat durian. Durians are good. Every bite was solid. Prices were reasonable too. Staff were really friendly especially the young one. My daughter is happy cos they gave free ice cream.

Found this around the malacca area en route to Ipoh. Nice quality durians. Never liked black thorn usually but the black thorn here was nice flavour and tasty.

A nice place to enjoy variety of durian fruits. The cafe is situated next to durian trees, where you can observe the tree itself. Choose your durian and they'll will serve it at your table with nice presentation.

I got my durians here! Craving satisfied.👍🏻 They offered a lot of durian options here. From Black Thorn to Kampung Kawin. They also have other fruits such as manggis, jambu batu, cempedak, etc. We had our durian at the dusun itself. It is very suitable and safe to dine in.☺️ Parking, drinks all provided.

Jonker Street Night Market is the vibrant heart of Melaka, offering a bustling open-air market on weekend nights. The street is lined with fascinating shops and restaurants serving delectable local cuisine. Visitors can explore the Orang Utan House gallery for contemporary art and browse through the Malaqa House Museum shop for exotic collectibles, sculptures, and souvenirs.
Had a fun evening at Jonker Street Night Market. The place was packed with food stalls, souvenir vendors, and lots of energy. Tried the grilled squid – freshly made and really delicious! It gets super crowded after 7 pm, so best to come early. A bit hot and packed, but definitely worth the visit for the food and lively atmosphere. A must-see when in Melaka!

The historical city of Melaka offers a captivating glimpse into the past. Its stunning heritage sites are a testament to its rich and diverse cultural influences. Exploring the city's architecture and landmarks is an enriching experience for any visitor. Moreover, the vibrant nightlife scene provides a lively contrast to the daytime exploration. You are sure to create lasting memories in this beautiful place.
Nolan B — Google review
Jonker Street Market is definitely one of the liveliest places in Melaka. The atmosphere is colorful and energetic, with plenty of street food, souvenirs, and local crafts. It’s a great place to explore the culture and enjoy some snacks like chicken rice balls, coconut shakes, and satay. However, the market gets *extremely crowded*, especially on weekends, making it hard to move around or enjoy the stalls comfortably. Prices can also be a bit inflated due to the tourist crowd, and many items feel repetitive from one stall to the next. It’s worth visiting for the experience, but go early or on a weekday if you want to avoid the rush. A good spot for foodies and street photographers, but not the best for relaxed shopping.
Lyston F — Google review
Jonker Street (Jalan Hang Jebat, Melaka) Located in the heart of Melaka’s Chinatown, Malaysia Jonker Street, officially known as Jalan Hang Jebat, is the vibrant soul of Melaka’s Chinatown — a lively stretch famous for its night market, heritage shophouses, antique stores, cafés, and street food. Once home to wealthy Peranakan (Straits Chinese) families, the street’s architecture reflects centuries of cultural fusion — Dutch, Portuguese, Chinese, and British influences all intertwined in ornate façades and wooden shutters. By day, Jonker Street is a charming lane of antique dealers, art galleries, craft shops, and traditional bakeries, selling everything from vintage cameras and porcelain to pineapple tarts and handmade jewelry. When night falls, the entire street transforms into one of Malaysia’s most beloved night markets — buzzing with food stalls, music, and lights. Visitors can savour local favourites like chicken rice balls, cendol, Nyonya laksa, satay celup, and fried radish cake, while browsing through rows of souvenirs and handmade crafts. The air is filled with laughter, the aroma of grilled skewers, and the rhythm of buskers performing under lanterns. Beyond its food and fun, Jonker Street is also a living museum — a place where heritage, commerce, and community coexist. Nearby attractions include Cheng Hoon Teng Temple (Malaysia’s oldest Chinese temple), Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum, and Kampung Kling Mosque, all within walking distance. Today, Jonker Street remains the beating heart of Melaka’s old town — a symbol of multicultural Malaysia and a must-visit for anyone wanting to experience its historic charm, creative energy, and timeless street life.
Meng C — Google review
Jonker Street, officially known as Jalan Hang Jebat, sits at the heart of Malacca’s historic Chinatown a lively blend of heritage, culture, and chaos in the best possible way. By day, its narrow lanes reveal rows of centuries-old shophouses, once home to Peranakan merchants, now transformed into cafés, antique stores, and quirky boutiques. By night, Jonker Street transforms into a vibrant night market where the air fills with the scent of grilled satay, chicken rice balls, and the sweet smoke of coconut pancakes.

Very lively place with many options to eat and shop. The best thing I loved is the fact that everything is fixed priced so no fear of being cheated. Highly recommended place..

Jonker Night Market was honestly the best night ever! I felt like I walked forever through the busy streets, but it was so much fun with all the lights, food, and shops around. I went on a road trip with my best friend, driving all the way from KL and staying two nights — such a memorable experience. Till this day, I still dream of coming back. I absolutely love it and would go again in a heartbeat!

Jonker Street Night Market is one of those must-visit places in Malacca that truly comes alive at night. It’s vibrant, buzzing with energy, and beautifully lit with lanterns and colorful lights that give the entire street a festive charm. Whether you're a tourist or a local, there's always something exciting to see, try, or buy here. Yes, it’s definitely packed and crowded, especially on weekends, but surprisingly, it still feels safe and lively rather than overwhelming. The atmosphere is energetic but not chaotic, with friendly vendors and a nice mix of people from all walks of life. There’s so much to explore; from street food and handmade crafts to quirky souvenirs, clothes, accessories, and even traditional snacks you won’t find in many other places. You'll also come across live performances, from singers and buskers to cultural dance groups, which makes walking down the street feel like a full-on experience. The street food is a major highlight; expect to see and smell everything from grilled satay, Taiwanese sausages, laksa, coconut ice cream, freshly made dim sum, and even the famous Jonker Street quail egg snacks. You’ll want to come with an empty stomach because the choices are endless. The market also has its fair share of unique and novelty items, including handmade jewelry, old-school toys, antiques, and personalized crafts. It’s the perfect place to pick up a souvenir that’s not mass-produced. Although the crowds can get intense, especially around peak hours, it’s very much part of the experience. Just take your time, soak in the lights, music, smells, and cheerful vibes. Wear comfy shoes, bring some cash, and enjoy the rich culture and local charm Jonker Street has to offer. Would definitely recommend making it a stop on your Malacca trip, it’s not just a market, it’s an experience!

This hidden gem offers a warm and relaxing atmosphere with its scenic plants and nostalgic decor. Indulge in a variety of delectable Western dishes and desserts, including their renowned fluffy pancakes available in flavors like Durian and Kaya.
A friend told me that the coffee here is very good, thus I must try. The Flat White in Daily Fix cafe is truly good, coffee taste just right at perfect temperature. The staff recommended Club Sandwich and it’s HUGE! Good delicious toast chicken, chicken ham and salads, it would have been even better if it’s warmer. Nevertheless sitting at a sewing machine for breakfast is very enjoyable.

We had a really lovely experience at this spot in Malacca. I ordered a smoothie bowl that was absolutely excellent – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We also tried the cheesy sandwich with eggs, and the eggs were especially impressive: perfectly cooked and very well seasoned. The hazelnut coffee was incredible, and I really appreciated the fact that they offer a variety of milk options. The atmosphere is another highlight – very relaxed, surrounded by greenery and vintage decor, with great background music at just the right volume. The only small detail we’d suggest is serving the coffee a bit hotter, but overall the place is charming and definitely worth a visit
Tomas A — Google review
Actually the food quality worth more than 1 star and overall definitely more than 2 starts. Unfortunately, the cold brew coffee is contaminated and 3rd party delivery not willing for refund. Sorry but the 3rd party delivery makes me feel the cafe is not apologetic at all regarding their non fresh food quality. Do not order their cold brew for takeaway. Or rather order anything that can be freshly made. Pandan pancake indeed very good. Gula Melaka fillings makes the entire pancake taste so delicious. With or without the shredded coconuts are good. Risotto with black ink above average but definitely not something I will wow having it. Drinks is no no to me specially for takeaway. Contaminated coffee and salted ice chocolate tasted weird and not strong chocolate is taste. In housing dining is always crowded that’s why we chosen 3rd party delivery option to try the food and drinks. Ambience is good, one of the few nicely renovated and photographic cafes at jonker street. Please take note of your cold brew and ensure it’s good or rather consumable before handling to consumers. Kinda disappointed thou.

Went there to grab a quick dinner. Ordered smoked duck aglio olio pasta and onde-onde cake. The meal came quickly and freshly-made. The pasta was very flavorful, and the cake was light, not overly sweet and delicious. The cafe has a very nostalgic and rustic vibes. The restroom was comfortable. This is a great option in Jonker Walk area after a long walk, especially since a lot of other cafes close earlier. The services were nice and warm.

The queue was long, but manageable bcs you get to shop around first and get a scoop of gelato like me! The souvenirs were so cuteee too, it’ll easily keep you occupied while waiting. Gelatos were chef’s kiss!! Then we had big breakfast and no-meat spaghetti. Portion was enourmous, good for sharing. Taste wise — its was pretty nice. Amazing ambiance, definitely instagram worthy. Should check it out if you have time.

This is kind of like the IT spot in town right now. So, especially if you’re coming on a weekends, be prepare to queue. I went there on a Sunday for brunch, and the wait was around 1 hour. They have seating area on 2 floors, but if possible, ask for the one on the ground floor. Because once you got a table, you need to order at the cashier which is only available on the ground floor. Also the stairs were a bit steep. For the food, we got the Eggs Benedict, Onion Rings, and Pandan Pancake. The Eggs Benedict was ok but the egg is slightly overcooked for this style. Pancake was nice, it was fluffy and got that coconut gula melaka filling. Onion rings were as expected. For the drink, got juice, latte, and iced chocolate. Iced chocolate was a bit bland for my preference, as it has more milk with a slight taste of cocoa powder. As for the other 2, both were ok. The staff was welcoming & kind. Food came rather slow but understandable due to the number of guests they have. — do check their opening hours before coming. They closes early on Friday-Sunday (5.30pm)

The menu also features an array of refreshing cold drinks to keep guests hydrated before they continue exploring the charming streets of Malacca.
Very friendly service, a nice change of pace away from the urban rush with the greenery and eco theme. Was a bit confused and slightly intimidated by the door but the server was friendly and very welcoming to us. Since it's our first time here we weren't too picky about the seats. Highly suggest that if you want good seats good to reserve before coming. Ordered bacon and egg burger and beef burger and they were delightful, juicy and well worth the price. Beef patty in the burger was juicy and delicious. Generous amount of wedges to go along as well. A very comfy environment to eat with jazz music in the background, just note to wear light as the place can get humid depending on the weather. Highly recommend!

Fabulous restaurant with some unique touches. Ambience, totally relaxing with Jazz playing in the background. Menu was western based with burgers but each had their own twist. Very flavoursome, I had the Chicken Burger with added egg and cheese. On the menu was pulled lamb burger, beef burger, greek burger etc. Lighter bites available as a sandwich or soup. Drinks wise they crafted IPA homebrew as as Pineapple beer. Altogether an interesting experience. Many thanks to the staff as they were very busy when we went in. Well worth a visit

100% will recommend The Baboon House to 100% of the people I meet and know. This place is amazing and possibly my favourite in all of Malacca. It's serene, peaceful and beautifully decorated. You get this sense of peace and calm, all while feeling excited and amazed by how the place looks and feels. It feels like a hiding place from the hustle and blazing heat of Jonker Street, located right at the heart of the street itself. You will come here when you feel like taking many nice pictures for Instagram, and you will also want to come here when you just want to stare into space and destress and do nothing. It doesn't help that the food is so good and very reasonably priced. My boyfriend and I had a burger each, one plate of chicken thigh and one bowl of french onion soup, which was super tasty. We ordered the Mushroom Burger and a Beef Burger which were both around RM 30. They were delicious and well packed with flavour, complete with wedges or sweet potato fries. You can top up an egg for RM 3 or 4, and for an egg lover like me, you can top up 2 eggs. It's a very long and deep house that felt a little like a jungle and a little like a tree top house. You must come. It's so good and I remember still exactly what it felt like to be in the space. It's not easy to locate this place because of how hidden it looks (covered with greens and easily blocked by cars) but I'm so glad I found it. Live music on weekend evenings too.

Nestled away in a quaint corner, this café is a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a unique blend of rustic charm and serene greenery that creates a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The interior design is nothing short of magical, featuring lush plants cascading from the ceiling and walls, seamlessly integrating nature into the urban space. The use of exposed brick and warm lighting further enhances the cozy, intimate vibe, making it a perfect spot for both work and relaxation. The seating area is thoughtfully arranged, providing a sense of privacy while still being open and airy. Whether you're catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet moment alone, the comfortable seating and ambient surroundings make it an ideal setting. On to the menu, which offers an array of delightful choices catering to various tastes. The coffee is superb, freshly brewed, and rich in flavor, while the selection of burgers and light bites complements the beverages perfectly. Each item is made with care, and you can taste the quality in every bite. The staff adds to the experience with their friendly and attentive service, ensuring that guests feel right at home. They're knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations to suit your preferences. This café is a hidden gem worth discovering. Its enchanting ambiance, delicious offerings, and attentive service make it a must-visit for anyone in search of a peaceful oasis. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this spot promises a delightful experience.

Went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. When entering there is a doorbell, need to press so that someone will open the gate for you to enter the cafe. We were let in and seated down immediately. The portions were quite big and filling. Ordered the pulled pork burger, lemongrass water and crepe cake (not shown). The pork burger was good the bun was buttery and fluffy. The lemongrass water is refreshing. The crepe cake was okay, however if you do not enjoy cream it may be too heavy for your palette as the cream taste was quite strong.

Wow this place is stunning. Beautifully decorated, very green and a bit place with a lot of seating. We tried the craft beer, it was okay, nothing crazy. The kombucha was delicious though. The pesto pasta with smoked duck was amazing. We wanted to come back, but their opening hours are a bit funny.

Took a long hot walk to this landmark shop nestled on a quiet street parallel to Jonker. Usual quaint shop house with ceiling fans keeping us cool. Ordered a pork belly burger and swapped the basic fries for sweet potato fries. Added a shrimp Aglio olio and a small juice. Food was underwhelming. Juice watered down. Pasta too cheesy and oily, lacking the expected aglio garlic. Pork belly a little too salty. Fries tasteless. Service was quick. Enjoyed the selection of piped in music.

If you're a fan of durians, then the Taste Better Original One Bite Durian puff is a must-try. Malaysians' love for durians is evident in the variety of durian products available throughout the year, and this one bite durian puff stands out. It's small enough to be enjoyed in a single mouthful, allowing you to savor the unique burst of flavor from the durian cream custard inside.
I'm someone who loves fresh durian but usually avoids durian-flavoured food, they often taste artificial or too strong for me. But this is fine. The puff is light and slightly crispy on the outside, and the filling tastes like real durian which creamy, smooth, and just the right amount of richness. It's not overly sweet or fake-tasting like many other durian products. Even as someone picky with durian desserts, I genuinely enjoyed this one. Definitely worth trying, even if you're usually not a fan of durian-flavoured snacks.
Joyce N — Google review
I bought 6 pieces of durian cream puff, 6 chocolate & 6 yogurt. Honestly, a bit disappointed with the quality. The puff pastry / choux pastry were dry and hard. The cream fillings were all very watery and not creamy. The yogurt cream tasted like sour milk (literally). The chocolate cream puff were ok. But I have tasted better chocolate cream puff elsewhere. I have to say their durian cream puff tasted the best among all 3 flavors. Sadly, it's too watery to our liking.
Shereen — Google review
The durian filling was good, but sadly the puff was a little hard. Guess you can just pay RM4 per durian puff to try if you happen to passby. They do have some tables and chairs for u to dine in. Also sell some other durian pastry/medicated oil you can bring back in shop.
Gary C — Google review
Worth the try if you haven’t tried it. Durian puff was good and creamy, take one bite and durian boom in your mouth! Tried the yogurt puff but it wasn’t that great, just okay. They increased the pricing to RM20 per box of 6 puffs or RM3.90 per puff. Better to eat it immediately or keep in the fridge if you take away before eating it as it tasted better when it’s cold. Shopkeeper told us that it can only last 5 hours after buying it if we didn’t keep it in the fridge.
Kuhanh M — Google review
Got the durian puff and blew my mind away, the paste is so genuine like a Mustang king that I couldn't even believe what I ate. Just the day before I went to Jonker street and got the same food but it tasted fine, thus I'm shocked to get this genuine good durian puff. Though my friend got the choco banana puff and the yogurt and he it wasn't as good so I'm not giving the 5 star but the durian puff alone was so good I don't mind giving it 4 stars.
Shirmpy D — Google review
Each puff contains generous filling of durian filling but I feel it becomes rather watery if not refrigerated well. Recommend to eat in one mouth if not will spill on your shirt

Located in the vibrant Jonker Street, Mamee Jonker House is a popular destination for both locals and tourists. The bright yellow buildings adorned with prominent Mamee signage make it hard to miss. This family-friendly establishment offers various attractions such as a cafe, a small museum, and a souvenir corner where visitors can purchase Mamee-themed handicrafts. One of the highlights is the opportunity to customize your own Mamee cup noodles in their kitchen.
Today, I took my children, nieces, and nephews to the shop and had a great time. Each cup costs RM15, and you have to pay for one adult and one child (above 5 years old). The process is fun—you get to choose your flavor, pick four toppings, and watch them pack it fresh in front of you. Overall, it was a good experience, though by the end, it did feel a bit pricey. But since it’s a one-time experience and only available in Melaka, it was worth trying. I especially liked the coloring part, as they provide good quality markers 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 One downside, though—their kitchen is under renovation, so there was no hot water available to try our mamee cup on the spot. I mean, it’s just hot water, and they couldn’t provide it, which was a bit disappointing. That’s definitely a minus point for the service.

We visited this fun place in Jonker Walk. They have a wide variety of instant noodles and snacks. The place has a fun decor. Staff were friendly and we bought some instant noodles here. Prices were higher than local supermarkets but they threw in a reusable bag.

Brought the kids here as my son heard about it from a friend. I was interested to find out what the place had to offer,of course. It is a neat place along Jonker Walk/Jalan Hang Jebat that houses many different snacks/tidbits. Great place to take photos of your kids roaming around as well. There is a section dedicated to Mamee cup decorating at a fee but I decided to pass on that due to time constraints. There is an in-house cafe as well. Managed to buy Mamee keychains/fridge magnets etc as they are hard to find elsewhere. Families with young kids, you can definitely consider swinging by this place if you've not done so before.
Imran M — Google review
Plenty of Mamee products sold here. But i think can get cheaper price at the local supermarket. The DIY cup noodle is RM15/cup. If you buy for your child only, you cannot accompany them when they are decorating the cup. Can join them during the packaging process afterwards. Great fun experience for my daughter.

Good experience! It was small but special. Slightly pricy but to experience once i guess its okay! They let you colour with sharpie pens, let you put the noodles and choose your toppings and will seal it with a plastic. MYR 15 each Flavours : curry laksa, tomyum, chicken, forgotten 1 more.

When Henry Golding appeared on LADbible’s Snack Wars, it didn’t take long before something deeply familiar appeared on screen: the unmistakable blue packet of Mamee Monster noodles. The moment he tore it open, crushed the contents in his hands, sprinkled the seasoning, and ate it straight from the pack—like every Malaysian kid instinctively knows how to—I smiled. “These are amazing,” he said, eyes lighting up. And just like that, it wasn’t just Henry on screen anymore. It was all of us. Growing up in the 80s and early 90s, Mamee was the cheapest snack around—just 5 sen. No fancy flavours, no extra powder. Just crispy instant noodles, straight from the packet. And that was all it needed to be. When everything else felt out of reach, that little blue packet gave me something small but meaningful: a sense of belonging. With just a coin in my pocket, I could sit with my friends, break off bits of noodles, share a laugh, and feel like I was part of the moment. Decades later, I found myself at Mamee Jonker House, tucked into Melaka’s iconic Jonker Street—a place bursting with nostalgia, colour, and creativity. It’s part museum, part café, part joyful playground. And right at the heart of it is Noodle Doodle—a space where you can decorate your own Mamee cup noodles. That day, I went with my mum. We decided to make a cup for my niece, who was still a little too young to do it herself. Now, my mum isn’t the artsy type. She doesn’t spend her time drawing or crafting—but she absolutely loves her granddaughter. And that was enough to get her sitting down, pen in hand, determined to make something meaningful. We took a blank noodle cup, picked up the colourful markers, and gave it our best shot. I doodled a cheerful Mamee Monster, and my mum added a slightly wonky heart. We laughed, teased each other about our drawing skills, and wrote a simple message on the cup to make it hers. Once we were done decorating, we handed it over to be filled. We picked her flavours and toppings—corn, cabbage, a little bit of chilli for fun. The staff packed it with real noodles, sealed the lid, and shrink-wrapped it like an actual store-bought product. A complete, edible souvenir—made with love. Before we left, we wandered into the merchandise section, which was filled with exclusive Mamee Monster-themed goodies—plushies, capes, mugs, stationery, and more. That’s when we decided to customise something special: a white t-shirt featuring Mamee Monster and her name, printed across the front. It was a small touch, but it felt meaningful. The decorated cup and that little t-shirt are now kept safe—reminders of one playful afternoon spent between generations, doing something simple and thoughtful. My niece is turning four this month, and hopefully by next year, she’ll be sitting at that same Noodle Doodle table, markers in hand, making her own memories. That’s what Mamee Jonker House does so well. It turns something familiar—something as ordinary as a noodle snack—into a gateway to the past and a space for new stories. It’s where nostalgia meets imagination, and love gets tucked inside a cup. Because sometimes, a snack is more than just a snack. It’s a thread that ties generations together - with laughter, colour, and care.

Fun experience for couples to draw and custom the mamee noodles cup for each other! Even if you are married, get a pair of cups and display at home for the memories. The video is so satisfying seeing the machine sealing your noodles in-place.

Sin See Tai is a charming bistro located in Malacca, known for its relaxed backstreet vibes and cozy atmosphere. Housed in a repurposed back alley shophouse, the little bistro exudes a laid-back ambiance with lush plants adorning its entrance. Ascending the narrow stairs leads to a cozy attic space with well-appointed nooks, adding to the unique charm of the place.
It's a very cozy Café. The seats are upstairs and they have different chairs, cozy couches and bean bags. The music matches the vibe. The coffee was good. I had the granola bowl and the portion was good. The Focaccia was also amazing. It was warm. The choices of Croissants and little cakes is huge so it's not an easy decision what to order. It's a bit pricey (still not comparable to general Berlin coffee prices) but definitely worth a visit. I'd highly recommend!

We were so excited to try this top-notched cafe in town and it was up to our expectation. We tried cold brew (black coffee), latte, miso dirty latte and pistachio dirty latte. They all taste good, very strong coffee taste to our liking. My favourite to go is pistachio one.

Food = 3 / 3 stars Service & Ambience = 1 / 1 star Value = 0.5 / 1 star We came at 12pm+ on Sunday. The shop is small, and the sitting area is upstairs. We ordered a filter coffee (Ethiopian beans), flat white (house blend), and pistachio lemon croissant. Total price RM53.90. The croissant is very delicious, perfect score for this alone. Coffee is good too, but I would value it at RM2 less per cup. The ambience has character. We like the varied seating styles, and the green plants around. The stairs are steep, so thread carefully. Good selection of background music, not intrusive. 4.5 stars overall. 5 stars for the croissant.

I'm OBSESSED with the osmanthus coffee at this cafe! The moment I took a sip, I was hooked. The aroma was incredible - floral and fragrant, with just the right hint of sweetness. And the taste? Absolutely divine. The osmanthus flavor was perfectly balanced with the coffee, creating a unique and delicious experience. But what really made my visit stand out was the barista's expertise and friendly service. They were knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and made sure I felt welcome. I've found my new favorite coffee spot - can't wait to go back and try more flavors!

A charming little café tucked away on the street — the kind of spot that makes you want to linger. The coffee was excellent, with a wide range of beans for filter brews. The staff were super helpful, guiding me through the flavor profiles until I found “the one.” Pastries didn’t disappoint either — the sausage roll was a standout (so good I actually came back the very next day!). It does get busy, so if you’re coming with a bigger group, the upstairs seating can be a bit tight. But there’s always the outdoor area if you don’t mind the heat — perfect for people-watching with your cup of coffee.

"Just had the most amazing coffee and croissant at this cozy little coffee shop! The coffee was rich and flavorful, and the croissant was flaky and buttery perfection. Such a great combo! Highly recommend for a quick breakfast or afternoon pick-me-up ☕️🥐👌"

Such a cozy little café hidden in the small lanes of Kampung Jawa. The seating’s upstairs and the stairs are a bit steep, so go slow. They’ve got all kinds of seats, soft bean bags, couches and regular looking chairs. The music quite fits the chill vibe really well. There’s a huge good looking selection of cakes. Haha. The flower teas are super fragrant and tasty. Overall, a really nice place to just hang out with buddies and relax.

Durian Cottage is a haven for durian enthusiasts, offering an array of delectable treats all featuring the beloved fruit. From the crispy Durian bomb to the smooth and creamy Durian Gelato Ice Cream, every item on the menu showcases authentic durian puree. Visitors can indulge in durian chendol and other freshly baked products made with durian jam. The establishment has garnered a reputation as a must-visit destination for those who adore this distinctive fruit.
My favourite durian place and my must-visit shop each time I am in Melaka. I’ve not found another shop that comes close in terms of taste and variety. Just found out recently that this place has closed down since mid last year. Five star for the great food and service rendered all these years.

Just bought durian cream puff from this shop. Selected the items but this shop actually bait and switch. The cream puffs have no durian flavour. Just plain cream puff but with egg shells in it. Would not recommend coming to this shop at all. Horrible.
Eduard T — Google review
The durian chendol was good and I would highly recommend durian lovers to try it here since it costs 6 ringgit which is a fairly reasonable price. The durian gelato is also really worth trying as it would be one of the few places fo actually eat durian gelato in melaka.
Kai W — Google review
Probably the lousiest durian cendol i have ever had. And I've had my share of durian cendol. There's hardly any gula melaka, which is a key ingredient in cendol. The coconut milk is hardly there even. You will mostly be crushing large chunks of ice in your mouth. Please don't waste your time coming here if you only have time for one stop to make.

Ah Ma Ho Liao - Jonker Outlet is a traditional Chinese coffee shop that aims to recreate the nostalgic feeling of grandma making coffee in the 60s and 70s. Located conveniently near a hotel, it offers a variety of traditional Malaysian breakfast items such as kaya toast, soft-boiled eggs, nasi lemak, and nasi ayam. Despite being crowded at times, the staff are friendly and welcoming.
Love the signature coffee - strong, tasty & flavorful! Toast & soft boiled eggs were prepared perfectly!! Came back again for the super strong/rich signature coffee and the toast $ eggs. 👍🏼 Services were also friendly & warm.

They have a good variety of food. The nasi lemak, traditional toast and curry noodle are delicious. Coffee is very good. The service here is excellent. Staff are very responsive to requests, such as additional curry topping, extra bowls etc.

Maybe I went at 3pm and food was like leftover food. The nasi lemak is cold and the fried chicken is hard and super salty. Worst meal so far in Jonker, better off going back to CDSR opposite. One of the cheaper food choice in Jonker which may explains their popularity. Rather pay more for a proper nasi lemak.

Food = 2 / 3 stars Service & Ambience = 1 / 1 star Value = 1 / 1 star We were staying nearby, so just a short walk to Ah Ma Ho Liao. Google says it is "less busy than usual", but when we were there it was actually full-house. We placed our orders and waited for a while. My wife ordered mee siam with curry chicken and iced coffee, while I ordered chee cheong fun and hot tea. The drinks were good. Mee Siam was OK, can be more fragrant, though the curry chicken was tasty. Chee Cheong Fun was OK too, even had some fishball, fishcake, and tofu skin. My personal preference would be for the sauce to be thicker. Our total bill was RM35.50, which I think is an OK price for this kind of food in this kind of place. Service was good. A table became available shortly after we placed our order while in the line. A group of people who just arrived went straight to the table, but the staff kindly explained that they need to wait in line. The situation was handled nicely. 4 stars.

The curry noodle, bread and kopi is indeed good However they have the tendency to give you the wrong food that you order. The system is abit chaotic. We ordered the claypot noodle, we waited for 40mins. In between, they keep telling us the claypot needs to heat up.. I was wondering what kind of claypot need to heat up 40mins. In the end they finally admit they miss out on our order. Bear in mind, if you order is 15 mins, make sure they check on it. Your order will not come if you don't ask them to check.. they will miss out on your order.

food: 4/5 is delicious but not to the point of WOW, special note their toast is toasted with charcoal, and their portuguese egg tart is one of the best ive tasted 🤌🤌🤌 the flavor is balanced between the creamy milky flavor and egg flavor drink: 2.5/5 mid ahh drink. Far away from having enough flavor, we ordered cham, ho kar sai, sai kar ho, teh and kopi, none of them are thick enough. really disappointed with the drinks. they arent bad bad but like too 中规中矩 service: 5/5 service is good, they gave us wrong order but the overall impressions are still good, from queueing to serving to the end are good. 👍 a bit hot in the restaurant but manageable

French Brown Viennoiserie is a popular spot on Jonker Street, known for its delectable pastries and sweet treats. The cafe offers a spacious warehouse-style setting with a small seating area near the coffee counter and a larger seating area at the rear. The aroma of coffee fills the air due to the nearby storage vats. They serve dark roast coffee beans and delightful macarons that melt in your mouth.
We had a nice brunch at French Brown. Visited at 10.30am on a Friday and it wasn’t crowded at all. Loved the space, high ceiling and attentive service. The chicken rendang nasi lemak was the star! Tender, flavourful and mildly spicy, just disappointed the chicken drum stick was too small to share with the peanuts & ikan bilis. Sambal chilli was mildly spicy and good. The crispy Hainanese chicken chop was good too but the chicken rendang was definitely the winner! Pistachio croissant was good but would have preferred a crispier crunch. Highly recommend to visit 👍🏻

The ambience and spacious atmosphere caught our attention to dine in here since we have kids with us. The whole experience is a mix emotions. We tried their fushion pasta and the taste was something new, interesting and delicious. The pastries were also good. But... the drinks were a disappointment. We ordered different variety of coffee and gula melaka drinks and it all tasted bland and no aroma. Luckily, the food and ambience saved the day. Just take note food might take longer during peak hours and price is on a higher side comparing to other restaurants.

I really loved this place! The atmosphere is great, the space is large and airy, and the food is absolutely delicious. We had a mango and coconut milk juice that was fantastic, along with two toasts—one with egg and pesto, and another with truffles—both were excellent! They also offer oat milk for coffee, which is much appreciated. I definitely left wanting to try their noodles, which look amazing. I hope to come back soon—I highly recommend it!

Vintage atmosphere, plenty of places to sit. Authentic, classic & very chill. Lots of pastries. Not to be missed curry chicken bread. Friendly staff. Lots of IG moments. Price is very good. Coffee & tea. Unique GULA MELAKA drinks - so iconic. No hurry, no worries in the world.
Artisans H — Google review
Nasi lemak with ayam berempah was a definitely hit with the fam. Chicken pieces was well fried with great texture, anchovies tasty and substantial, rice was fluffy and fragrant. Only possible let down was the sambal which was not spicy enough but pungent and tasty nonetheless. Curry chicken with toast was definitely another highlight. Chicken curry very, very tasty and creamy. Toast was light and fluffy, overall very satisfactory together. The pastel de nata, original is good with light, flaky pastry. Gula Melaka was even better with a sweeter and tastier topping and flavour to it. Service… this was challenging, despite not being full, it was incredibly difficult to get service as the team on the ground are not attentive at all. Room for improvement for sure.

Did not order the main foods as the waiter told me need to wait at least 45 min. Apparently, my next table came after me got the food served after around 15 min. Wth! Tart is so so, the specialty is gula Melaka, not bad, but not extremely strong type. Toilet is places at the center of the restaurant. The worst is no partition. No mirror.

French Brown Café in Melaka offers a charming atmosphere inside an old, tall building that’s been given a cozy touch with plenty of portable air-conditioning units to keep the place comfortable. The environment feels unique, blending heritage architecture with a modern café setting. We ordered a few items to try: the latte with gula melaka, which had a smooth coffee flavor with a sweet local twist, and the matcha gula melaka, which balanced the earthy taste of matcha with the caramel-like sweetness of gula melaka. For food, we had the egg benedict and the pesto egg ben served on sourdough slices. Both dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, though the bread was slightly overbaked at the corners. Still, the overall taste was satisfying and worth recommending. It’s a nice café to relax in Melaka, whether for coffee, brunch, or simply enjoying the historic vibe with a modern menu.

The Old Merchant is a trendy bar with a stylish ambiance, featuring red neon Mandarin characters and hanging lanterns. It boasts traditional Chinese decor, including a moon gate leading to a room adorned with chrysanthemum murals on exposed cement walls. The bar offers an array of in-house cocktails, such as the Bunga Kaseh, which incorporates local ingredients like pandan and chrysanthemum.
Live band is what attracted us to The Old Merchant. Advance booking is required if you want a table in front of the live band. We once walked in and could not secure a table outside the bar, along the Melaka river. The ambient and scenery are great, though. The duo performers are quite good and sang all the songs the customer dedicated. There is fast food and all kinds of alcohol to satisfy your needs. Toilet is clean, and they burnt a kind of aroma to purify the air.

Cocktails were nice. Staff recommended and give good explanations on the cocktails. As live band area was full, we were ushered upstairs to an empty room area where it was just 4 walls with pseudo Japanese decorations.

Would rate this 4.5 stars to be more exact, but there isn't that option so 5 will do! It's a bar located at the heart of Melaka that has liveband / live performance. The place is a little more on the crammed side but it's not too crammed such that you'll feel suffocated. Drinks are pretty good too and range from RM 35 to RM 50 for the cocktails. Saw that they have jugs too which you can get if you know what you like to drink and have more people. Place is nicely designed with umbrellas lining the ceiling. The bar is also connected to the outside where there are also chill sitting areas, by the Melaka River. Would say that is a nice and huge plus point of the area! Overall, would recommend visiting if you're keen to listen to some music and chill out at night. Disclaimer: I rated the food a neutral rating of 3 stars as I haven't tried them at all. Will update this again when I return and try the food :)

One of the great pleasures on this Earth is a well made cocktail. My standard for judging most places is how well they can make an old fashioned, and if they happen to make their own version of an old fashioned. So when we were in Malacca, we went to @the_old_merchant for some late night drinks and speakeasy vibes. This place is on point, I loved the live music and the bar inside, but the real treat was sitting out back by the water watching the boats and the night sky. All the drinks were amazing, but double kudos for the Made for Baba drink - their version of an old fashioned. It hit all the notes for me, tasty bourbon, cinnamon, the right amount of smoke with just a touch of bitter / sweet. Served in the right glass with a big old hunk of ice. Yay for a great drink, the perfect way to cap off a night in the Old City. Highly recommend!

Went early around 7pm. The seating outside is very comfortable and quiet. Livenband starts at 9:30 but doesn’t affect the noise level if you are seated outside. Portuguese cocktail is very good, we ordered 3 jugs.

Centuries ago, sailors would drop by a tavern to have a yo ho ho and a barrel of rum. Nowadays, to experience a similar experience in Melaka, we have the Old Merchant. This joint offers various tasty drinks to make your happy hour a memorable one. Do try the East Indies for that added oomph.

Great bar in Malacca with well designed decor and ambiance. Drinks are good, well curated and well made. They have a good selection of indoor seating as well as outdoor seats by the river. Only thing to improve is the live band they had that day. They were singing all kinds of songs across many genres and languages which not all guests would enjoy. Should just stick to a good playlist instead.

The room was clean and fairly comfortable, but the noise was unbearable. The walls were not soundproof, and I could hear every step from next door. I booked a high-floor room with a bathtub and requested a quiet environment. While I understand the bathtub might not always be available, the room was far from quiet. It only became peaceful after 2 a.m., and by 6 a.m. it was noisy again. On weekends, the night market downstairs added to the disturbance, and in the morning, the trishaws near Red Square started operating around 7 a.m., making it impossible to rest properly. And grab never can get in when weekend you need to walk to outside and order very inconvenient I came here hoping for a relaxing stay, but it turned out worse than expected. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

Last Saturday, my bosses, colleagues, and I arrived at Quayside Hotel, Melaka. We had made a booking on Booking.com on 25th August 2025 for 5 rooms, scheduled for 27th September 2025. Upon arrival, I informed the reception and showed the receipt we received from Booking.com. We specifically chose the "pay at counter" option because Booking.com allowed us to do so. However, the reception told us that our booking was cancelled due to “no payment made on time.” This is completely unacceptable. Why does Booking.com allow this payment option, but the hotel does not honor it? None of your staff contacted us in advance to inform us about any required payment. Instead, we were only told at check-in that the booking was cancelled. How can you simply tell your customers that this is “between us and Booking.com”? To make things worse, the reception mentioned that another customer had the exact same issue just the day before. If this is a recurring problem, why has nothing been done to resolve it? Instead of helping us, we were left stranded and had to look for another hotel nearby on the spot because Quayside Hotel was already fully booked. This is extremely disappointing. Quayside Hotel should be taking responsibility and working with Booking.com (or any other platform) to ensure such issues never happen again. Please fix this immediately so that no other customers will have to go through the same frustrating experience. And there was not even a single apology from the reception staff or the hotel. SO DISAPPOINTED!!!
Ally L — Google review
I am very disappointed with my experience at Quay Side Hotel, Melaka. I had a confirmed booking through Booking.com, which was clearly stated as confirmed in the app. However, upon my arrival, I was told that my booking had been cancelled and that the hotel was fully booked. What made the situation worse was the lack of professionalism from the staff. There was no apology, no explanation, and no effort made to assist me in finding an alternative solution. This left me in a very difficult position, having to look for accommodation at the last minute. I believe this reflects very poorly on the hotel’s management and customer service. I hope they take responsibility and improve, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.

If you're wandering through the vibrant Jonker Street in Malacca, make sure to stop by LAIFA Durian Land 来发记鸡场街. This delightful spot is a haven for durian enthusiasts, especially during the peak season when the fruit is at its best. The atmosphere here is lively and Instagram-worthy, blending modern and traditional decor that sets a fun tone for your visit. While I may not be an avid durian fan myself, it's hard to ignore the buzz surrounding their unique offerings.
Nice and clean store. Next to the big carpark at Jonker street. Delicious desserts and fresh durians. Price reasonable. Friendly store manager and staffs.

⭐⭐ for the manager’s friendliness — she truly loves the brand and products she represents, which I appreciate. I’d also give ⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the creativity of her boss in turning durians into a variety of snacks — very innovative! Unfortunately, their fresh durians weren’t impressive (⭐). I understand it wasn’t peak durian season, but still, the quality fell short. I’m a big fan of traditional chendol, and while I don’t mind creative twists, something they added gave it a sour aftertaste that really didn’t sit well. I shared my honest feedback with the manager, who graciously invited me to try again the next morning. The durian itself tasted better, but the same sourish note remained. I even suggested that they and their team taste some local chendol to better understand the difference between a classic, well-balanced recipe and one that’s overly salted or sour. Sometimes, even a little too much salt can change the entire experience. I do wish them well, and hope they can refine the recipe — the passion is there, and that’s a great start. _____________ 📨: Hi LaiFa, I visited without any kids and tried the durian chendol. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy it. I hope you’ll consider improving the recipe to make it more appetising. As it stands, I’m not likely to return for it.

A must-visit for all durian lovers! This place is a paradise—if it can be made with durian, they’ve got it! From creamy desserts to unique snacks and drinks, everything is packed with rich durian flavor. Tried several items and every single one was delicious. You can really taste the quality and freshness. Whether you’re a hardcore durian fan or just curious to try something new, this place won’t disappoint.

OMG was incredibly delicious! So soft and sticky! It was my first time trying Black Thorn durian, and I was really blown away. This little durian baby even had five segments—it's like a durian sent to repay a favor! The staff were also super warm and friendly, patiently explaining what makes a good durian. It was such a thoughtful experience!
Alison G — Google review
I tried the mochi-wrapped durian ice cream here, and it was really good. They make it in-store, and the one I had was the Mao Shan Wang flavour. It came with chewy mochi on the outside, fragrant durian ice cream inside, and a layer of popcorn underneath, which added a nice crunch and contrast to the soft textures. Surprisingly, it all worked really well together. They also have a wide range of durian desserts, and the staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations. I got to sample a few flavours before deciding which one I liked best, which was a nice touch. There’s seating available, and they provide gloves and tissues, so the whole eating experience feels quite clean and comfortable. Worth visiting if you’re a durian lover or just curious to try something different.

29 June day: Durian frappe is UNBELIEVABLY GOOD, definitely visiting again. Durian coffee frappe is nice to try, first sip was shocking with the taste of durian in coffee, but good to try for the first time. The standout star was definitely the durian frappe - so unbelievably amazing. 29 June night: decided to try their coconut frappe (strong coconut, not too sweet, i liked it!) and flat white (strong coffee, nice balance of milk and coffee) 30 June: visited again for their durian frappe, so so good! will 100% visit the next time I’m in Malacca!

Dking Jonker Melaka is a delightful spot to indulge in the refreshing treat of cendol, especially on warm days. With outdoor seating available, it's an ideal place to relax and enjoy a chat while savoring their unique offerings like durian cendol and various durian-inspired dishes. The bustling atmosphere during weekends adds to its charm, as it’s conveniently located near the Jonker night market.
Great taste of durians. There are also various menu of cendol durian, pulut durian and pancake durian. They also provide outdoor table and seats in front of the restaurant. We can make payments in cash, or cards such as Visa, or online payments such as Grab. Worth to try if you visit Malacca.

Had nasi ayam for 2, the chicken is hard? Sambal taste weird, not sure if this only happen to us, maybe not our day, cendol is so-so, price for nasi ayam is quite expansive too, but great view anyways, can try if you want to
Izzat A — Google review
Only chendol served here. The prices are at the high end. Had a musang king - Rm$33 and another priced at $76😱😱. (of course didnt buy). Might as well buy the real thing! Nothing spectacular...

I never knew I loved durian or cendol until I tried this bussin durian cendol from dking. Super must try especially on a hot sunny day 😋 It was my first time trying Blackthorn durian and I’m obsessed 💪🏻💋 (sorry my picture doesn’t do this cendol justice)
Sarah J — Google review
The durian is not bad but from frozen as it’s not the season. Chendol I feel so so maybe they didn’t put enough coconut milk or fresh coconut milk.
Valerie N — Google review
Great experience from the waiter! Decent durian taste with variety of types. Many side dishes that goes well with durian.
Nur I — Google review
Chendol was great and perfect for the weather. You can sit outside and have it nicely while having a chat. On Friday/Saturday and Sunday will be crowded as it’s the end or start area of the Jonker night market. Best time to go during 1pm-3pm which is perfect for the weather. Don’t miss this or you will regret:) high recommended!!!

For Durian lovers maybe it's not surprising but for others it's freaking expensive. RM100 for Cendol??!!@@₹₹

The Furui Michi Ramen restaurant offers a modern and classier atmosphere with warm lighting, dark wallpaper, and a more mysterious vibe. They serve yakitori as well as ramen, both of which are value for money. The sushi train is also available at this restaurant and their sushi is always fresh and made constantly.
Tried the chirashi bowl and noodle soup. The sashimi is really fresh and had a bit of natural sweetness to the meat. The individual sushi was also amazing. Duck meat was soft and supple. My favourite is the smoked salmon. The noodle soup used yellow noodles which i do not prefer. However the soup is really delicious which made the alkaline taste of the yellow noodles so much better. The cut of meat although flavourful is quite tough. Would try the R12 ramen instead. Overall highly recommend. It is value for money given the quality of food.
Dione G — Google review
The sushi is wonderful but the ramen taste blend and the portion for 33 ringgit is not very friendly, but the sushi really can beat omakase level it straight meals in your mouth !
Rachael K — Google review
We visited Furui Michi Ramen Japanese Restaurant on Saturday, 14 June 2025, without a prior booking or reservation. I really liked the ramen soup with pork shoulder (chasu ramen) priced at RM20.80. The soup enhanced the appetite to its fullest. The noodle texture was similar to instant noodles, which suited my preference, and it was topped with sesame, chopped onion leaves, and chopped black fungus, all of which added great texture and flavor. The shiro maguro teriyaki fish with rice, also priced at RM20.80, was quite enjoyable. The fish was thick and cooked perfectly. However, the sweet sauce, soy sauce, and marinated ginger were not particularly outstanding. I appreciated that the wasabi was not too spicy, which made it more enjoyable. The hot green tea, priced at RM1.80 with free refills, was excellent. It had a strong aroma and was served very hot, which I liked a lot. For the sushi, the grey plates were RM6 each or 3 plates for RM15, while the color plates were RM5 each or 3 plates for RM12. While the noodles and rice dishes were reasonably priced, the sushi, especially the grey and color plates, felt a bit expensive.

This place serves good ramen and their broth is really nice! Have tried all three and all are nice 🤭 service is good and sushi are yummy too! Not sure why this ramen shop not as famous as it should be though, the food here is good! But just a little suggestion, wish the miso soup could be a tad less saltier-would be super perfect then!
Y O — Google review
The foods are nice, serving to you while hot but the miso ramen soups is too salty and u cannot finish one bowl as it is too salty. Ambience okay but the table is too near to another table. Overall 3. 5 / 5. 0
Ruby E — Google review
We had Chashu ramen, Saba Shioyaki, Soft Shell Crab sushi and grilled pork. The ramen broth recommended by the waitress was kara miso and it was exceptionally good. All in all, food quality and taste was 👍 however the grilled pork was a bit too salty for my taste Staff on duty were attentive and helpful 👍 Parking may be a bit difficult during peak seasons as this place is located beside a busy street
Genevieve K — Google review
I was dine in at the restaurant last month. Surprisingly, I like their yakitori the most as the ingredients were fresh, juicy and delicious! This was the best yakitori that I ever had in my life, you should give it a shot! Very worth to spend your meal here. Their Japanese curry rice was good too, more in sour taste. Their staffs were polite and helpful on serving and ordering the food. I will definitely visit next time if I come to Malacca. Keep it up.

Medan Selera Batu Berendam Melaka is a vibrant food haven that offers an array of delicious local dishes at affordable prices. Among the highlights are the delectable durians from Durian Pak Leman, which are a must-try for fruit lovers. The bustling atmosphere comes alive especially on weekends, making it a popular spot for families and friends to gather over tasty meals like Kue Teow Goreng paired with chili pickle, yong tau foo, and satay.
Variety of foods we can find here with cheaper price

I went to eat dinner at the 2nd stall from the left because the yong taufoo stall closed. Ordered mee soup at 7:04 pm and the food arrived at 7:33 pm. Even the ice in my drink has melted waiting for the meals. There weren't any customers at all. Just me and another family at another table but their food already arrived. But the meal was nice. The soup was delicious not gonna lie. It's just the bowl that they were using was kinda dirty and the surroundings of the inner kitchen kinda.. urm yeah. The price is also a bit high, not worth the wait. Mee goreng mamak doesn't taste like mamak at all. Just a plain mee goreng with a bunch of veggies and the price was RM 7 for the mee goreng mamak
Lajibolala — Google review
Instead of ordering Char Kuey Teow, I have ordered Kue Teow Goreng. Super tasty especially when eat with chili pickle. But need to wait longer time if there's too many people.

Pasar Besar Melaka, also known as Malacca Big Market, is a vibrant morning market located just a short drive from the historic old town. This bustling wet market is a treasure trove for anyone looking to experience local culture and cuisine. Here, you can find an array of fresh produce, poultry, seafood, and spices that are essential ingredients in the delicious Peranakan dishes you'll enjoy later on your culinary journey.

Hotel
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Jonker Street, Tang House 邓宅名宿酒店 offers a charming and budget-friendly stay for travelers seeking an authentic experience. This family-run guesthouse features cozy rooms situated within a historic Peranakan shophouse, adorned with beautiful dark wood accents and delightful wooden shutters. Guests can enjoy shared amenities like two kitchens, a coffee shop, and a lounge area to unwind after exploring the bustling surroundings.
You're exactly in the heart of Jonker Street. During the night market, the food stalls are right in front of the hotel. There was no noise disturbance regardless we were staying on the first room (closest to the front door) on the first floor. Check-in check-out was super seamless, we can even drop our luggage before and after, although there was no one to watch it (so better lock your luggage). The value for money is certainly in the location, partially for the room. Room is small but enough if you will be wandering around whole day. WiFi works fine, hair-dryer was provided. No window. No big mirror for the ladies, or electricity socket near it, but we'll survive regardless.
Vanda P — Google review
This place is right in the happening Jonker street. Depending on the event calendar. It could be noisy during event night. We were lucky to have stayed in the back room, ground floor away from the street. The place has been recently refurbished. Our room was small but comfortable. The only thing they need to improve is their house keeping. They left an old soap for us to use. The toilet paper is running out. The room needs an additional floor mat for the bathroom. The current one as shown in the picture cannot absorb the water and dry our feet properly. Oh by the way, I booked through a third party app and I did not receive the password until we arrived. It was late but managed to call them for verification and finally got into our room. Please make sure you get your password sent to you before you arrive. Anyway, location wise, superb for those who want to go around Jonker street. You can get food easily. They got a corner coffee shop serving breakfast and lunch.

I stayed at Tang House during my trip to Melaka and had a comfortable experience. The room was simple but clean — just right for resting after a long day. What I loved most was the strategic location: it’s just steps away from great local food, Jonker Street, and other attractions. Perfect place if you’re planning to explore the city on foot. Would stay here again!
Nathalia F — Google review
Nice little homestay right in the middle of Jonker street. Not directly accessible by car, you need to park nearby and walk 3 minutes. Try to avoid weekends because there is a night market, which can be very distracting and noisy if you face it. If you like being in the middle of the action, definitely book a room here. If you stay in the side rooms, sound is bearable. Our mattresses were on the floor, which is a regional way of staying cool so don't be too shocked about the lack of a bed frame. I stayed in a tiny twin room that only cost SGD$17 per night. Aircon was nice and strong and toilets were clean. It is an authentic homestay for backpackers so don't expect tons of comfort. *There is a familymart, 7eleven and tons of other small convenience stores nearby so you will be well-stocked.
Gladys C — Google review
When checking in, we got the wrong code and ended up disturbing the sleep of another hotel guest! Unfortunately, there is no fridge to use. Pay attention, they have rooms without windows.
Christian A — Google review
Even though its a budget hotel, owner and staff are very friendly. Rooms are very clean and simple, comes with bed, air-condition, bedside table and a cloths rack. Toilets are shared and had water heater shower in all of them. Overall a very nice place to stay with all the nice food around and a big carpark just at the back if you drive. Will definitely return to stay if I come melaka again.
Hoe S — Google review
Conveniently located at Jonker Street, this place is spacious and neat. Comes with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Highly recommended for family.

I don't think I will be back....The bed is not comfortable and if you are light sleeper is a wrong place to sleep in.... specialy on Fri, sat and sun where there are night market... the stall holder clearing the stall till 1 to 2am the noise the car the people talking.... and the bed I think they need a new mattress. I understand for a price like this I can't ask for more... but I also believe I rather pay abit more for a better sleep. Purely sharing my experience here. I must say the people here is all good nice and friendly.

Dking Jonker, nestled in the lively Jonker Street of Melaka, is a must-visit for durian enthusiasts. This charming spot specializes in delectable durian desserts that highlight the creamy richness of this beloved fruit. The star attraction here is the Musang King durian, which takes center stage in their signature Cendol—a refreshing blend of finely shaved ice, coconut milk, and palm sugar that promises to tantalize your taste buds.
Durian specialty shop located at the corner of Jonker St. I tried my first mustang king and turned out super yummyy n creamyyy. They have black thorn durian too. Their cendols look rich n big. Highly recommended.
Mya T — Google review
I tried Dking in KL before and this place are smaller compare to the KL store. Types of durian served here was limited to Musang King only and it’s pretty decent price as they sell 1 box for 55rm as if they sell it in fruit per kg size can be 85rm in KL. So if you want to get a taste of Musang King, recommend it to try it here
Lolyta D — Google review
Avoid this durian shop at all costs! The fruit was clearly overripe and smelled fermented, with a mushy texture that made it almost inedible. Even worse, the owner was dismissive and outright rude when I pointed out the issue—no apology or offer to replace the bad fruit. Save your money and go somewhere that values quality and customers.

Not worth trying, overnight durians that frozen and defrost. Got the premium RM79 Chendol with 3 types of durian ( XO, black torn and musang king) but was served with overnight durian with sourness taste. Chendol is exactly like those that you buy ready made from supermarket and they just mix with coconut milk with a whole lots of Ice. Felt really cheated by the google review and lousy after eating

This charming area has become a favorite weekend getaway for food enthusiasts from Kuala Lumpur and beyond, especially those with a penchant for durian. Historically significant since 1641 when the Dutch colonial fleet seized Malacca, it evolved into a crucial port in the East Indian trade network under the Dutch East India Trade Company until 1795.
