For takeaways at the outside booth, you may wait for some time as there are cars mad motorcycles parked alongside it, waiting to get their drinks to-go. The standard one is just coconut water mixed together with vanilla ice cream. The special comes with an extra vanilla ice cream scoop on top of the mixed drink. Creamy, fragrant and refreshing, a Coconut Shake Regular has minimal price difference for dine-in, and takeaway) will definitely wash away all infamous sweltering Malacca heat.

I’ve been here many times and it has become a must-stop for me every time I visit Melaka. The coconut shake taste has never changed. It is still as delicious and refreshing as ever. Parking is easy since there’s plenty of space around.

Came here with our family. The coconut shake and coconut juice was refreshing and nice- but nothing really much special, though still nice to have for a break from this hot weather. But, their Ondeh ondeh was really delicious and probably the BEST I've tried in Melaka so far. Their chicken nuggets also tastes really nice. Didn't manage to try their meals though. Place is really popular so expect a long queu. Dining area is quite huge so not much of an issue. Take note that they accept Cash ONLY.

Ordered Nasi Ikan Tenggiri Isi for dinner, it is a spicy soup with mackerel and comes together with rice and salted egg. Nice food to try while in Malacca. But I prefer not to eat that again because too much oil in the spicy soup. The place is outdoor, and during my time eating there are so many seats available, just maybe because it was on weekday.

I was greeted (by a man), but not in a friendly manner. The food was good, very thick gravy for asam pedas. Quite spicy, not suitable for toddlers. But a bit overpriced i think. Any asam pedas set almost RM20 without drink. Delicious otak-otak too. Not many parking spots available. The cashier (woman) also should improve her service.. Not really showing warm attitude. But the waiters are all friendly.

The restaurant is easy to find. The food has many foo choices other than asam pedas. So easy for kids. Service is fast nad excellent. The atmosphere is quite hot for indoor seating. It is better to sit outside. The only thing that is not satisfying is the toilet. It is so narrow and the outside water flows into the toilet floor, flooding it and wet my shoes. Please upgrade the toilet

The concentrated asam pedas broth is very good when paired with rice. U can taste the sourness and the spiciness. The fish is fresh. Order can take up to 45minutes if the crowd is full. Got booth selling pizza and aromatherapy lime and bidara oil there which i found very helpful if your company dont want to eat asam pedas, they can order pizza. And if u are tired from your day activity, u can use the aromatherapy oil. They have free tester also which u should try! The seller is very helpful and nice. Overall is 4.5/5

Food is decent and the place is very popular. I have been coming to this restaurant for many years. Although the food is decent, it isn't cheap compared to the other restaurants nearby. Service could be improved too. The owner converted the parking lot into the dining area so make sure its not raining when you intend to go.

Tried popia basah, nasi lemak ayam, colourful kuih muih tradisional, mee goreng. And overall taste was so-so. Pros: - spacious sitting & parking. - clean - price is affordable; rm0.50 for most of the kuih - easy access as it is located next to main road. - friendly & fast service. Cons: - there is no "kick" in sambal hijau & sambal nasi lemak. - crowded during the weekend & public holidays.

The main dishes were generally good. The Asam Pedas suited our taste well. The ayam rendam + sambal hijau was alright, though the sambal wasn’t very spicy. The keli + sambal berlado also wasn’t too spicy, we called pedas manjah. We didn’t get to try the kuih-muih as we were already full 😂 Maybe next time for a more complete review. Service, from taking orders to payment, was quite efficient. Waiting time was reasonable, around 10–15 minutes. Parking can be a bit challenging if it gets crowded.

A lot of sweet and savoury selections of kuih. Including local breakfast such as nasi lemak, roti jala and roti canai. There are ample parking at the back of shop. But as it was not properly covered so probably not ideal to park when it rains or after heavy rains. Overall the food was good.

We were looking for a place for lunch when arriving on our trip to Melaka. After searching for some places, Perhentian Kuih Kampong came out as our choice to try. This places offers an assortment of Malay Kuehs, which is rare in a single shop. We say the Kueh hit the spot quite nicely without being overly priced, not too sweet, and with the right “lemak-ness”. 😅 (but of course this depends on individual taste buds lah). We ordered the Nasi kerabu with grill chicken and Nasi ayam (chicken rice) For the Nasi kerabu, Rice and the gravy and vege condiments were nice with the right spiciness, but the chicken was a bit dry. The Chicken rice was however not quite up to the palate but “alright”. It should be juicy, and the right lack the fragrance of the “chicken rice”. In conclusion, this is a reasonably acceptable place for a good lunch with the variety of options, and can be tried out on your next visit to Melaka. Quite a few patrons were seen ordering “ikan Assam pedas”… was thinking… 🤔 is this their popular dish? 😉 Note: it’s about 15 mins drive away from the city Centre in a place called Semabok.

We particularly enjoyed the karipap, with its crispy golden crust and flavorful filling, and the bingka ubi, which was perfectly sweet and rich in texture. The pulut kuning with rendang ayam was a standout—soft, fragrant rice paired with tender, flavorful chicken rendang that left us wanting more. However, the nasi lemak was average, lacking the bold flavors we were hoping for. While not every dish impressed, the overall experience was satisfying, especially for those seeking authentic kuih and hearty local fare.

We went to Restoran Perhentian Kuih Kampong in Semabok, Melaka for lunch. They had lots of local dishes, including Melaka's famous Asam Pedas and Nyonya Laksa, as well as Nasi Ayam and different kinds of soup. There were many other choices too. For the three of us, the total bill was RM 33.50. We ordered Nasi Ayam, Nyonya Laksa, and a set of Keli Sambal Berlado. We found seats easily when we arrived, and there was parking available. We didn't have to wait long for our food. The taste was pretty good, maybe a 7 out of 10 for us. The place was clean, and the environment was nice. It looks like they also serve breakfast in the morning. Overall, it was a good experience!"

Variety of malay food & kuih here. Soto, lontong, nasi lemak, laksa nyonya and roti canai to name a few. Prices are affordable but you can pass on the drinks. It was too sweet despite saying kurang manis. Must try kuih keria! Recommended 😍

In the blistering heat,what better way to cool off than a fine bowl of Chendol? I am not a professional food reviewer,but trust me when I say this,the Chendol here was worth the hype. Got the Chendol Biasa and was pleasantly surprised when it came with a scoop of ice cream on top! The ice quality was amazing (finely shaved ice) which made the experience all the more sweeter. One bowl is never enough! Do swing by Cendol Kampung Hulu if you are in Malacca and have the opportunity.

First time trying food around this tourist area. Expecting delay in service (was a bit delay because they need to cater so many people at one time because it’s like a hall room that offer different and variety of meals) food quality probably doesn’t reach my standard (a bit of for me) tasteless nasi lemak…! (doesn’t kick or giving at all) Char Kuey Teow taste so so, so… satay doesn’t cook well (raw part spotted) but the kuah kacang taste so good… other than that, I’m not sure… the view wasn’t really good though…

Melaka Cendol Surprise me is the difference of shave ice & mix with coconut milk santan, taste refreshing! Gula Melaka is a bit sweet to me. Maybe I can ask for less sweet next time. Regular Cendol has a scoop of ice cream. Looks really appetizing. RM9.90 per serving. Steep price with bigger serving. Allocated along riverside. May sit in or outside tables. Easy to takeaway off to go.

hi, sorry , but i need to be honest to all food reviewers out theres. this place culture was okay, but the food was reall bad, especially on cendol, this was no original cendol in melaka, they mix it with all of things that they thinks good, but that mix will make cendol taste really bad, sorry fellas, cause im from melaka people and come from this place. but this place was really nice on riverside, but your food taste was really unacceptable. thanks for this first and last.

The cendol was quite ordinary with very little cendol despite being the main item on the menu. During our visit, their system was having issues—which we were perfectly fine with. But then, what were all the staff there for? Instead of assisting customers, they just acted as if nothing was wrong. Even when we looked at them, they pretended not to notice. There were plenty of staff laughing and chatting among themselves but only one female staff member attended to our table and even then, when I called her once, she simply nodded and went back to her conversation with friends. At the very least, they could have approached us first. We still had to pay a service charge, but the service was hardly there. The food also did not match what was shown on the menu. There are plenty of better places in Melaka—no need to waste time at overhyped spots like this.

Roti canai was soft, properly cooked and less oily. Dhal gravy prepared using charcoal stove has its own distinct unique flavour.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with the queuing, ordering and seating system. 1 counter (1 staff) managing the seating, ordering and cashier. Caused us 40 minutes for an unnecessary queuing when I saw more than 10 empty tables. They should’ve open up more counters or add more staff there. The bottleneck there was very disappointing. 4. Ate with 6 people for only RM29.70, nasi lemak, roti canai, roti kaya, drinks etc. Very cheap, can rarely get that kind of price nowadays and I’m very happy with the price 5. My hair, clothes are all smell The “kayu arang” once we left the gerai. Q: Would I come here again? A: Yes, if they improve their queuing system A: No, if the system remain the same. The food didn’t live up to the hype on social media. Service was disappointing—since it was our first visit, we weren’t aware that we needed to queue and order before getting a table. Came on Monday morning n quite many diners r already present. Plenty of tables. Have to queue n pay first while stating which table number to order the many choices available. However, in my case, many of the 'other' vendors hav yet to set up shop. I selected the Roti Sardin n yes, quite like this one. Soft n portion big though wished it was a bit more crispy. Father loved the plain roti canai while wife was able to finish-off her roti doll. We all loved the cekodok n lempeng kelapa. Drinks too was tasty. Service was fast but I was told weekend crowds r huge so I guess they're used to working fast. Parking is limited yet I recommend to come here to try their unique roti canai kayu arang n others.

If this is a first time you come to eat here, it will be overwhelming to you. They have their own system where you need to line up before you can grab a table. Then while you line up with your family members, do look around for their huge and long list of food and drinks. Then when its your turn to order, the cashier will ask how many people of your party and she will assign a table to you. But before you can sit, all your family members must order right there at the cashier. All food and drinks and paid there. Then you can go to your assign table and waiting for your food. Their nasi lemak come with kangkung, their nasi goreng kampung and nasi goreng daging also good. Nasi lemak ayam and soto not bad. Roti canai also good. There is stall selling ayam gunting which is also good and crispy. Tips : if you want to add order after you paid and sit, just go straight to cashier and tell the cashier. No need to que.

I expected it to come hot considering the time it took to be served. Tapi sejuk macam what is happening there at the kitchen? And big minus point gaisss: slow service. Like lambat. Air pun lambat. I ordered second glass of Bandung Soda when the platter arrived, and it didn't came when we have already finished the platter. And lama, I have to cancel. Major turned off la service lambat. MCM kalau nak makan pukul 6, be sure to order from 3pm. And it opens from 3.30pm.

Just an ordinary restaurant. The staff are not so friendly. I ordered mee soya (My fav) & talam western. Both menu are Ok. You May order side dish like satay, otak-otak from the stall just outside the restaurant. Ample parking & easy to find this place.

I tried their medium mee besen. Soup is flavourful. U can add sambal kicap to add the kick to the soup. And the portion is big. Enough for 4-5 people. Also tried their western dulang. Ok laa, but they can still improve the taste. Since the spaghetti and the sauce is quite bland and tasteless. Love their orange juice. And definately hate their choice of song. It was disaster.

Tried the pineapple fried rice and sambal chilli okra. The fried rice was beautifully served in a pineapple, with a tangy-sweet flavor that’s quite different from the usual ones I’ve had. The sambal okra was really good—fresh, spicy, and flavorful. Overall, a nice mix of presentation and taste!

We were very surprised this Nyonya restaurant is pleasantly nice…food is fantastic with a variety of choices. Waitress all knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to. Servicing is fast and efficient. A place we definitely will come again.

We having lunch here. Staff are friendly, ambient is good. The foods are delicious, personally i like the Cincaru Fish which I never had before. The Snapper really fresh, mixture of cincaru, chili padi and lime goes well with the deep fried fish. Definitely will visit again

Had an amazing dining experience at Atlantic Nyonya Restaurant! We ordered 8 different dishes, and every single one was absolutely delicious — full of rich, authentic Nyonya flavors. The food was wonderful and worth trying. It’s a little on the pricey side, but totally worth it for the taste and quality!

One of the more popular Perankan restaurant in the area but it’s quite touristy. They winner serve pork which can be a bad thing if you’re looking for authentic dishes. The food is quite decent with many variety and they can fit large groups of 10 too. Service is mediocre as they are very busy and quite cold. Overall it still isn’t too bad but don’t expect the best at the end of the day but good to still try at least once

Service is good, they tell us the price before proceeding. First of all, the toilets latch wasn't tight. We cannot lock it and stay in peace. Afraid anyone could open it. Fish very expensive...but we agreed because we were too hungry. Udang RM33.80 for only 4pcs...this was a surprise to us. We hv eaten udang gerang many times at many Nyonya restaurants. They all taste similar but this one was not the same. It's too sourish...not tasty at all.

Their chicken rice has a moderate taste. A small portion of sambal cili, not spicy. No maintenance to the shop, as some of the tiles are broken and may cause risk of injuries. Service wise is fast, qr code to order, and with robot to serve the food.

I went here twice, and the experiences are great! Yes, the place itself may look mediocre but the price is affordable and the food are tasty as well. Well, for the food I would rate 4 out of 5 but overall rating deserved by this restaurant is 5 stars. Why? Because they provide so many payment options compared to others. EPIC ! Probably the best meal I’ve had in Melaka. The food were flavour bombed and staff were friendly and very hardworking. Very impressed and contented. Definitely a place I would visit again when I’m back in Melacca :)

Today I had a simple dinner. Nasi ayam baba. Two plates of chicken. Rm 11. Food is ok. Roasted Chicken is very juicy. Pricing is cheap. But I had to fight with the flies that were trying to eat my chicken too. I would have given 9/10. But because of the flies I can only give 8/10. Worth going

One of the best nasi campur spots in Melaka! Restoran Lot 85 truly delivers on flavor, variety, and quality. Their *ayam goreng* is incredibly tasty—crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and packed with savory goodness. The food overall is fresh and well-prepared, with a great selection of dishes to suit every craving. The best part? The prices are really reasonable, making it a fantastic place for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. Definitely worth visiting if you're in Melaka!

Delicious but Pricey The fish was incredibly fresh and the asam pedas was absolutely delicious, especially the jenahak fish head. The sides of tempeh, vegetables, sambal paru and rice were all well prepared and satisfying. However, for just one a hot tea and plain waters, total came up to RM92.90 which is quite steep for 3 pax ladies. While I truly appreciate the quality and taste, I do hope the pricing can be more reasonable.

Food = 3 / 3 stars Service & Ambience = 1 / 1 star Value = 1 / 1 star We arrived here at 4:30pm, 30 minutes before they close. They were already in the midst of cleaning up, but still very welcoming. We shared one rice and iced coffee, plus two pieces of fried chicken, brinjals, and some bok choy, along with sambal. Total RM21. Very delicious. Especially the fried chicken. Must try. 5 stars without a doubt.

Whenever I crave for delicious Malay food in Melaka, I come here to get my fix. Such is their consistency that the food has never failed me in any big way. My favourites have always been the ayam goreng berempah and kari ikan kepala. The latter comes with a fresh meaty fish head and kari to "banjir" your rice! Ikan assam pedas was a new find for me. I liked it. The ikan keli came with superhot sambal cili hijau which called for more rice. Diet is a four-letter word here and we don't count our calories here. As you tuck into your delicious dishes of multi hues, your body temperature will surely rise - from the spices in the food and overall heat from the roof. But you will feel the euphoria associated with eating the spicy food here.

Great for Malay cuisine. Do try the byriani and asam pedas tetel. Deep fried lung and tempe is crunchy good.

Good food but slightly on the pricier side compared to other eateries in Melaka. Nasi briyani with chicken was RM9 alone. Plenty of space right in front of the shop to park your car. Long tables with many seats available, suitable for big groups to dine in. During RMCO period, diners aren’t allowed to take their own dishes if they order nasi campur aka mixed rice, which I think is an excellent way to keep the food and utensils hygienic.

Pricy food but seems popular among the locals. Located at the main road with ample parking space. The main attraction is nasi beriyani but somehow the taste is not to my likings.

Ok, i love their asam pedas!!!! And their sambal hijau (not sambal hijau padang style, but green chillies blended with vinegar and sugar) that goes really well with asam pedas. There is a lot of variety of lauks, they also have ikan bakar and veges. Im spoilt for choice. Try their sambal telur pecah. Simple but so delicious. The only downside is that there is very limited area to park your car.

My friend saw good reviews regarding this place so we decided to give it a go. This is a self-service local food stall. Tried their asam pedas ikan pari, rendang ayam, ulam with sambal and kuah gulai. I personally love their asam pedas, which is their signature dish. The taste is perfectly balanced - sour, spicy and saltiness. I love the cincalok dip and sambal dip for the ulam too. Rendang was ok but a bit too sweet for my liking.

Hearty home cooked local dishes with variations of the 'asam pedas'. Prices are generally reasonable, fresh juices are cheap. Cleanliness could be better if I were to nitpick. Seems popular with the locals, always a good sign.

Mee Kari Sungai Putat is located at Kampung Sungai Putat. Public transport to the stall is limited and it's location is not strategic. Public parking is available and it's easier to reach if one has own transport. It is famous for its mee kari. There is also a special version of mee kari known as mee kari tetel. Other delicacies served include penyet dishes, buttermilk dishes etc. You ordered at the kaunter and wait for your food. I tried the standard mee kari. The kari tasted like mee rebus sauce. The mee kari is served with potatos, fish cakes etc. Overall the mee kari is quite good. There is another stall selling kunyit inspired dishes but was not in operation on the day I visit. There is another stall serving iced shaved mango -Royale Mango Melaka. It's shaved ice served with fresh mango bites and vanilla ice-cream. The ice shaving is not fine enough, and overall the mango ice shavings is sweet.

Highly recommended their Mee Nyonya Laksa ... Also many options available from ithwr vendors. Its like a food court concept but the entire outlet is known as Mee Kari Sg Putat

Tried Mee Kari but it wasn’t as expected. The curry was too much and overpowered the dish, and the bowl was quite small. I came after seeing good reviews, but honestly, I was disappointed. To those saying this is the best mee kari. I’m sorry, but I think you haven’t tasted the real best yet.

Unfortunately was late wen I got ther... So the Mee Kari with prawn & squid was sold out... But manage to taste the dish with chicken instead... Just Rm10/plate.... And also a must get drink there the Mango Float Royale the original one @ RM6/cup

To those who love mee kari with less santan should be okay. The mee itself too kembang, like rendam semalamam. Feel disappointed.

i have tried its famous mee kari, and it is one of its speciality here, 8/10 i also tried its cendol and i can feel the sugar is the real homemade type of syrup and it also use machine to grind the ice rather than use ice cube for a cendol which may affect the authenticity of it, (8.5/10) please come early before peak hour as the table is quite limited

Last week we had our lunch at Famosa Chicken Rice Ball after our shoping at Jonker Street. We were quite hungry and very glad that food were served without much delay. Generally, the dishes of vegetables and chicken were acceptable . Unfortunately the chicken rice balls were a disappointment, as the texture and taste were very average. The crew service was prompt and friendly. Overall is an average restaurant but highly rated, perhaps, due to its good location in Jonker Street.

Overall a 2stars. The rice balls were alright and a bit too dense for my liking, and the chicken itself was decent but nothing exceptional. Overall, it was okay, but I personally feel the chicken rice in Singapore is tastier and more flavorful. Worth trying once for the experience, but not something I would come back specially for.

Chicken Rice balls and Kampung Chicken were fragrant and well-portioned, priced at 0.50c per ball. Approx. 5 balls to a bowl of rice, they said. Scallion Tofu and Dessert (Homemade Herbal Jelly) were also well-portioned! Drinks were a little too sweet but serving size was just right. Staff weren’t that attentive. A little more air coolers inside would’ve been great. Worth a try!

We arrived at the shop lot restaurant at 1:15pm. Restaurant was still full of patrons - both outside restaurant as well as indoor. Our party of three was lucky to secure a table when the diners ahead of us just completed their meals. We knew exactly what we wanted as we read their reviews. We had their popular chicken rice balls (charged by the number of rice balls), their white and roasted chickens, oysters omelette and small plates of livers and gizzards. And our orders came with a large bowl of fish ball soup good for 3 pax. Both the poached and roasted chicken meat were rather ordinary. The much talked about were simply “mashed cooked rice” squeezed into lumps bigger than fish ball size. Interesting but not something I would repeat ordering. The oysters omelette was delicious; would be better if bigger sized oysters were used. The complimentary fish ball soup was good. The fish balls were “bouncy”.👍 Overall, we felt that prices were a little on the steep side.

Savoury chicken rice ball with steam chicken, roasted chicken rice and nyonya style side dishes. This is a Halal restaurant that located in Melaka Raya where you can see many Muslim patrons dine in. This is our first time visiting this place as we wanted to try other chicken rice ball restaurant that away from Jonker Street (avoid the jam). We ordered 1/2 steam chicken, 10 rice balls, fry baby kailan vege for 2 pax. The rice balls were fragrant enough, the chilli sauce dip was good pairing it with the smooth tender steam chicken, and surprisingly the fry baby kailan vege was delicious; and we got free fish ball soup as special loyalty gift. Overall everything are welcoming for words but I personally find the chicken portion is abit small compare to Ipoh's steam chicken.

Perhaps one of the best chicken rice I have ever tasted. Ever. Sadly we went here when our tummy is a bit full so we cannot fully feel the taste of this nasi ayam. Even so, the taste when our stomach is full is still damn delicious. The nasi ayam perfect 10 out of 10, got choices between steam and roasted. Both are great. One thing that caught my attention was the rice ball. I thought it was just a plain ball with rice taste but it was good. Feel like a soup in the form of rice. The portion is fair and the price is a bit high lah but deserve with the quality. The service is good, the worker is nice and the waiting time is not that long too. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. We went during weekend afternoon and there are less customers during our visit. Fast forward to 10 minutes, there are already a long queue waiting for turn. limited seating available for sure. I guess we are the lucky customers. We look through the hall and saw a lot of prominent figures and famous artists already went here.

I finally tried this place today, a spot highly recommended by locals! It wasn't crowded at all, which seems to be the case if you avoid Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The food was absolutely delicious – seriously, let the pictures do the talking! Everything I had, from the prawns, fish, and squid to their most popular dishes, was incredibly tasty. Honestly, you've just got to come and try it for yourself!

Got there around 11 am and it wasn't too busy but that didn't last long. Rice balls were very good and went well with the sambal. Ordered both the steamed and roast chicken and both were equally delicious. Overall would I would recommend stopping in and giving the place a try.

Rice ball was very tasty! Chicken a bit bland for me, but the kangkung was really nice. Sotong also good, just portion quite small for the price. Overall okay to visit, worth trying for the experience.

Great food here. I love the taste of Nasi Ayam and Rice Ball. Worth it coming from KL to taste the food. Plus, the owner and staffs are very friendly and serve food very fast. Definitely will come here again anytime visiting Malacca.

Had a lovely dining breakfast experience at Dutch Harbour Restaurant this morning. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious, fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The environment was clean, cozy, and family-friendly, which was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 1 toddler. Truly a great place for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. Will definitely come back again!

Dutch Harbour Cafe was awesome! The food was delicious specially the lamb ribs. I have never tasted such lamb ribs that was so good. My husband was licking the bones of the ribs. It was that good! The atmosphere was amazing and do ask for the seats by the river, alfresco dining done perfect! It is well recommended ❤️❤️ Will definitely come here again if we visit malacca again!!

I had the pleasure of enjoying a gourmet burger—packed with tenderness and rich flavor. The fries were freshly made, seasoned just right, and added a great touch to the meal. I came with two small families, and it was a perfect environment for all of us. The atmosphere was calm and family-friendly. What made it even more special was the amazing scenery—right by the river, where boats passed gently by. It was night time, the area was beautifully lit, and the music—classic hits from the 1980s to early 2000s—brought back wonderful memories. A great dining experience all around, both in taste and setting.

Forget about the price tag when you're in Melaka. Enjoy the food, enjoy the ambience and appreciate your loved ones. Grill lamb chop and burger are very big portions. Only the table position on the path is a bit narrow but it's okay. Beautiful view by the river while watching the fishing boats go by 🤣🤣

Very good popiah, one of the best I ever had. Pork lard very nice, put a lot. Almost every bite has some pork lard. For me, not enough chili but that is personal preference. Also very reasonably priced.

The Popiah (spring roll) is fabulously delicious. On first bite, the taste of pork lard infused ingredients fills your mouth with taste that your taste bud asking for more. The skin is soft and tender, biting into it together with the fillings, is just another different but even more wonderful taste than other popiah i have tasted. Can say another level, you cant get this in Singapore. There is no dining in. Its a snack to go, eating on the spot while its hot is the best or you can bring home to enjoy it, still delicious I reckon. On weekends, likely there will be a queue. It really depend on your luck, can be super long queue or no queue at all. I came on a Thursday afternoon, so lucky, no queue at all. Park, buy, eat and go. If you drive, its really try your luck looking for lots. The stall is located at a cross road junction, so only parallel parking. If cant find a parking lot, get your passenger to go buy it while you stop on road side with hazard lights on. If you come Malacca, can give this a try, there is another stall selling popiah and you can try both to see which is to your liking.

Great popiah with superb service as well. Even with such a long queue, store owners were so friendly and accommodating. The addition of pork lard in the popiah was heavenly and completely ingenious. It was crispy and fragrant, elevating the flavour to a whoe new level. The popiah skin was also really thin, would buy that back if possible. Do try to come early and avoid peak hours, especially on weekends. We arrived at about 1pm and had to wait about 30 minutes for our food. Note that there is a max of 11 rolls per customer during peak hours.

Quite good of a popiah, the fillings were amazing, from the sengkuang to the pork lard. I came on a Thursday, only 3 people in front of me, so I got my popiah fast. However i felt the skin to be a bit thicker than to my liking and the skin is very bland.

The most overrated popia in the world. Yes there r pork lard but only a couple. Hardly taste them. Too sweet and too soggy. The queue is long becos the guy is so slow and inefficient. Queued for 35 mins to get 2 Popiah. Portion is larger than normal & packed with turnips & crispy pork lard. Taste is pretty subjective & I find it a little too sweet for my liking. It’s a take away counter with no seats. Hope they can speed up their process to cut down waiting time.

I order 10 spicy, 5 non spicy, 6 handmade fishball back to sg.. 🩷🩷🩷 1 more to be eaten there.. hahaa. So total of 16 popiah n 6 handmade fishball. The brown color de is so crunchy n nice.. can eat non stop, just air fry it even more yummier. I bought along a thermal bag, bought at 11plus am, abt 7pm then i reach sg its still abit warm. It taste even nicer after the long hours as everything was soaked upon, but if airfry it awhile even best.. 🥰🥰 The popiah tat never fails n disappoint, as for whether can bring out to sg its a heng/suay. So no promise. 🩷🩷 If order more theres a number can call up to order.

If you want to have the full menu available, better come during lunch time. We came for brunch, they serve a good portion just pitty the vegetable dishes that we ordered was far too blend.

Among all Melaka’s AP, we can say this will be the better tasting one, compared to our hometown AP, we used daun kesum, more savoury (more ingredients instead e.g. onions, assam, black pepper, tumis hingga garing etc.) and thicker gravy.. we get used to that taste and when we’ve tried this one which is without any daun kesum/ laksa leaves, it smells fishy.. don’t get us wrong their fish does not smell fishy but somehow with the missing ingredients, it felt liked it.. Long queues to be expected especially during the weekends but seating system handled well by the staffs, kudos…

We always had Asam Pedas here, used to be nice, but the last time we went here in early September 2025, the asam pedas jenahak were served cold. Apart from that the service was good.

Ordered ayam golek and nasi ayam kosong for the kids. Quite good. Ordered asam pedas pari and telur ikan but I am too used to hjh M so I still prefer hjh M version. But. The asam Pedas tetelan is super. I will stop by here for the asam Pedas tetelan if I have asam Pedas cravings. Super tender. Nasi Goreng and Mee Goreng only avail after 4pm so do be mindful of the timings !

This Asam Pedas Pak Man is one of the famous ones in Melaka, the portion is good and taste is good. Worth the money paid.

Asam pedas gravy is very thick (which is very good) but it wasn't hot ☹️. Sambal belacan is spicy and goooood! First time i taste Laksa Nyonya, its quite unique 😊. I thought it was like curry gravy. The yellow gravy is like kuah lontong in Johor but the taste is totally different, it have sweetness flavour of the fresh and big prawns. I wished the bunga kantan put more kick but end up not much effect. If the asam pedas were served hot, it deserved a 4 star at least. 😉 Not much menu to our liking here but oklah since it is affordable. Kedai pun bersih.

Being a Penangite who are normally fussy about foods and despite the mix reviews, I still went there with my family. We ordered Nyonya Laksa which was tasteful, Lamb Chop with generous amount of black pepper sauce which my daughter loves it and for myself the Asam Pedas which was just average. Good place, nice and clean. Service and staff is also ok. Price is slightly above average.

We arrived at this place at 1pm but there was no customers around. We had doubt about the food taste but decided to proceed with ordering. The taste of asam pedas and carbonara was really tasty. We all loved it and satisfied with the price. Not to mention, they provide cosy surau for muslim. Nice!

Enjoyed the hospitality of Brother Hassan and Brother Waris, After 14 years dined at Tomyam Classic, Location is changed, but the same atmosphere, ambience, and food taste, A must try restaurant in Melaka.

Food is good with reasonable price, since we have order earlier via phone call the restaurant able to serve our family right on time. The ambient is nice and have plenty of table that can accommodate large number of people. The Musolla (prayer room) is also available and clean, sufficient to cater about 20 males for congregational prayer at one time. The musolla have to separate area for male and female. The toilets was also available, clean and well maintained.

Have been going here since i was a kid, the food was really good back then and i do remember there was a big giant fish in the pond. The place was okay and they do provide wedding service. The quality of food is okay but the taste of ikan siakap 3 rasa was more to taste like ikan sambal cili merah and they didn't blend the biji or removed it which can cause sakit perut. udang celup tepung looked like jemput jemput. other than that everything is okay

Speaking from a last call customer The service is fast as expected for a restaurant with huge staff especially when there's only like 2 families left the night i arrived so the manpower goes into customer left at the time. They got surau/mosque, playground, and the most importantly, toilet. The food is okay for the price. worth giving this a try. I'm not a foodie myself, I just hungry and needed to eat kay :9 The decorations feels like I'm at a wedding feast by the choice of table and the overall deco. Closing the lights while peoples is still eating is not a great thing to do because it made the feel of unwelcoming. Hope this restaurant can fix that when last minute people came to eat. First time coming here with my family during vacation and holiday. However, waiting for the food was takes time. The glass provided is small. Not valuable while waiting for the food to come. Our ordered water drink finishes earlier before the foods come along We ordered common tomyam however we received tomyam putih. Price was just ok

Served 'self-serviced' buffet breakfast only. A variety selection of local dish and english breakfast. Local dish served were fried kueyteow, fried beehoon, fried rice, fried chicken, ayam kicap, nasi lemak, lontong, mee/beehoon kari, mee/beehoon sup, soto nasi, roti bakar, half boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, french toast, salad, kopi o, teh o and plain water. I guess there'll be a rotation of dishes. There's also a coffee kiok offering a variety of coffee/latte. (not included in the buffet pricing). Personally, for the amount paid, it is value for money. The only small set back is the limited seats (indoor and outdoor) so each customer is given 1 hour, which is fair. There's no 'time keeper' but customers have to be considerate. I will definitely visit the place again.....

It was a pleasurable experience. Shoplot was easy to find, the ambiance is nice, tho as it is outside and in this current weather, its a bit hot. Imagine going to a wedding reception, so wear lightly. The menu available worth more than RM10 itself, which gives it a plus point. Refer to the menu attached for info. Overall, great experience, will come again and very recommended.

We ordered mee racun and kuey teow kungfu. Verdict: Mee racun taste delicious 4/5 ⭐️ (Rm12) and kuey teow kungfu 4/5 ⭐️(Rm8). Both gravy super thick weh haha Super love the environment. Hope can open till midnight or at least 11pm to chill

A nice cafe with a beautiful outdoor sitting arrangement made with an outdoor kitchen. The deco on the outside sitting area is minimalistic and pleasant. Breakfast is mainly served in the outside part of the cafe. The staff member was pleasant and efficient. The food came in pretty fast and is really tasty. There is black coffee and tea as much as you like to suit ur meal. Lovely breakfast experience to have. Sunday, they are closed, so many might miss the opportunity to visit there. Would rather they close on one weekday and stay open on Sunday. Payment by cash, esp in the outdoor setting.

The location is arround residential and educational institution and department of road transport is nearby. The restaurant have many menu choices of rice, noodles, western menu, etc. The food is quite nice. The service is good. The atmosphere is good.

The restaurant looks ordinary with plain decorations and interiors. Situated in shop houses with limited parking space. Food was ordinary. The asam pedas is good but the meat was rubbery. I could not eat 1/3 of the meet. The telur mayong taste was too strong and was not delicious as it was not properly cooked. Service was okay but 1/4 of the menu was not available although it was only 2.40pm when we were ordering. Food price was expensive and not worth it.

went here on 1st june 2023 so it was quite a long time, about 2 years ago and the food is really tasty. one of the best asam pedas ive eaten and price wise was affordable, couldnt remember the exact price.

Used to come here whenever we were in Melaka. Hasnt been here for almost 2 yrs and I think the taste is much more better before than now. Sekarang rasa asam pedas dia mcm too biasa…. Price wise i think is average, ordered set ikan pari, daging tetel and telur ikan tenggiri, telur dadar 1 set and 1 flavored drink. Total spent rm84. For me, the taste can be improvise. Would definitely come again to hope that they can improvise on the taste.

Choose this place because of some review, upon arrival not so many customer, we decided to try, go through menu price a bit pricey, give it a try, probably tastier as recommended, unfortunately its overrated. Asam pedas taste average, order my kids nasi goreng cina, the kids even said not taste like nasi goreng cina and a bit tasteless such a waste. I know rezeki from Allah but this is not how you should treat customer, customer deserve good food it should match the price. Even take a way charge polystyrene for RM1, at least match the price bro, it polystyrene not Pp container. Unfortunately as a customer I feel unhappy and definitely won’t repeat. May you find barokah in doing business.

This restaurant is located near the city center which quite packed with incoming tourists and local visitors. The staff was very helpful, explaining each and every section on the menu list. (And mulut manis too praising the customers 😁). The waiting time was average. The setting seemed packed with the table arrangements close to another. The foods served were boiling hot- the asam pedas! We ordered tetel and stingray. The gravy isn’t that thick but the taste is flavorful. Theres distinct taste balance of spicy element and sourness. The portion served was worth the price. To sum up, this place offered great food and table service for the customers. Great experience and recommended to those need the kick or asam pedas.

Beef satay was outstandingly tender. The chicken variant is also nice if you particularly lean meat without the fat or skin. Prices at 1.20 for chicken , 1.50 for beef per stick. The fried rice and bee hoon however were all too spicy even by default. Satay sauce also is spicy .

best place for families dinner or gathering.. can book in advance and never diasppointed. main menu for sure is satay. standard price, standard size, and of coz delicious. drinks also delicious from local drinks to juices. but other menu depends on day u came. sometime good, sometimes eatable..sometimes uneatable. so far i came with families more than 10 times, just once or 2 its uneatable but still u can eat other foods offer there.

Nice enough satay. About rm 0.70 per piece which is cheaper as it is a proper restaurant. Yeah, i'm looking at those stalls who sells at 80 or even 1 ringgit per piece. The beef satay was tender.

27/7/2023. Worst satay I’ve taste!!!!! The size was not compliment the price! So damn small. The onion was spoiled and the cucumber was not crunchy anymore. The makcik at the counter was not friendly at all. Worst experience. Will NEVER REPEAT again. Maybe that day(27/7/2023) was not my lucky day.

The best satay place ive ever been to in Malaysia. The meat served is delicious and tender. Service quite fast. Cleanliness is ok. Ample of parking space. Can tapau no problem. The price ok la still reasonable commensurate with the quality of the food. Would definitely recommend !

This restaurant is a Halal restaurant. The Satay is nice and the price is fair. They are family's in satay, but they also sell Malay stir fried. The drinks here they serve are basically Malaysian tea and coffee, they also serve fruit juice too. The only problem is that they doesn't serve can or packaged drink like isotonic drinks or chrysanthemums tea. I strongly suggest come here for their satay only.

If you haven’t tried Warung Caun’s Cekodok Cheese, you’re seriously missing out! Crispy, fluffy, and oozing with melted cheese – totally addictive. The mee goreng with fried egg hits that sweet-savory spot, and the lontong is rich, creamy, and comforting like raya morning. Simple warung vibes, great flavours, and prices that won’t hurt your wallet. Worth the detour!

satisfy with the food.the service not really that fast but acceptable.what i ordered nasi lemak lobster.but the lobster were not really fresh.im not sure.not really sweet but still acceptable.n ordered lontong goreng.really like it. the menu were different and will come again to try other menu.

Overrated. Waited too long (about 30min) for them to entertain you (mind you, we are sitting close to the cashier table). Ordered lempeng kelapa. Appearance looks greasy n taste so-so. Parking space were spacious.

You can get lontong goreng here which is rare to get in Melaka. Also nasi lemak pandan with crispy but soft fried mushroom. They have the softest cucur on Earth😋

We had cucur & rojak at this eatery. Both of them is acceptable. It is really packed with people during weekends. It serves brunch.

My dad and I came to eat here for the first time, alhamdulillah we were satisfied in terms of price, portion and deliciousness. Quick service and friendly staff. We ordered rojak and chicken fried rice, my dad is a fan of rojak. Not everyone can be satisfied with the service and food provided, but alhamdulillah what is here suits our taste. I hope the owner should take care of cleanliness, so that they can provide comfort to customers. Thanks a million 👌🏼

Renowned for its rojak, this restaurant excels with its deliciously tangy rojak sauce and crispy cucuk sayur, complemented by perfectly cooked yellow noodles. The flavors are a true delight. However, the experience is marred by an oily, slippery floor and a dining environment that could use significant improvement. Despite this, the food remains a highlight.

The food was very delicious and tasty. However, the cleanliness needs some improvement to make the overall experience better.

Had rojak biasa (RM5.50) and it was good. The kuah kacang is on the darker side similar to those served with rojak buah but tasted OK regardless. Cendol jagung (RM3 for dine-in) was okay and nothing to shout about. If given a chance, would have ordered the kacang variant as the price is the same Service is okay but I wish the waiters are more attentive as they can easily miss out in spotting you to take your order (despite the restaurant isn't that busy) and the atmosphere is passable. The seating area inside is somewhat well lighted and clean. If possible, try not to sit outside as you'll breath in smogs from the passing vehicles I can only recommend this place if you're somehow in the neighborhood (like visiting the goldsmiths along Jalan Kee Ann) due to the lack of parking spots compounded by Melaka's horrible public transportation infrastructure

Ordered a Rojak Mee and Cendol Kacang at around 5PM in weekday. The place was OK, enough seating tables, not too crowded because it already passed rush hour. Rojak Mee consists of beansprout (tauge), cucumber (timun), some crackers (kerupuk), fried tofu (tahu goreng), half of boiled egg (telur rebus), and yellow noodles (mie kuning) with gravy.. As an Indonesian, I found this quite similar to Rujak Juhi or Rujak Betawi. The Rojak Mee was so tasty!! I like it and booze my appetite. I think I might reorder those rojak again next time. On the other side, the Cendol Kacang was disappoint.. Just like a shaved ice with syrup and coconut milk and little but cendol and red bean..

Wanted to try out Malacca's best rojak after reading reviews on them. Unfortunately it was disappointing. The gravy was thick but a bit bitter and unfavourable. But they did have various add-ons to the rojak that made it bearable. We had a tough time trying to finish off our plate. To be honest, KL has better options.

Well-known eatery: The popular Rojak Ali Lido of Jalan Kee Ann, has moved across the road and is now located next to the iconic Lam Sing Coffee building. Establish since 1971. One of my favourite place to eat mee goreng, mee rebus and rojak. Delicious. Believe or not, the price is still cheaper in the town. RM4.00 for a plate of rojak, mee goreng and mee rebus. Limited parking spot. No dine in during MCO.

Small family business located in kampung, outside a house and open air. Food was awesome and served in large portion. It wasn’t crowded when I went at 7pm but the service was a little bit slower than expected.

the crispy prawn cheese is soo delicious untill i left nothing over. Sambal and the green nasi lemak is super extremely delicious. The only problem is not much for parking area. But it was worth it. I will go back here again for sure😍😍 This stall should gone viral

The Nasi Lemak is yummylicious! The rice had the right amounts of coconut milk. The sambal is sweet with a hint of heat. The battered fried chicken - Yummmy! The battered prawns - Tasttty! Comes with cheese sauce but frankly speaking you don't need it.

Great tasting crispy prawns from tail to head. Sambal was not so overpowering and let's you enjoy the taste of the prawn and squid. The dessert was also delicious. Best crispy prawns ever... big serving

Local here and this is my top 3 most delicious nasi lemak in town. Except the fact that it is located at rural area and there’s lots of catto, the nasi lemak, its sambal/ the rice/ ikan bilis etc are so good. The popcorn chicken is my all time favourite as it’s unlike the one selling on the market. Limited parking space, open air. Please try, please.

Fish, shrimp, chicken was good. The cheese sauce too. However, the nasi kurang lemak and quite dry. If you don't like hot and spicy sambal then this is it. A bit on the sweet side.

Tried nasi lemak popcorn cheese and crispy buttermilk. Both are really delicious and the price is quite affordable too. RM15 for buttermilk and RM13 for popcorn cheese. They also have other menus that you can try.

Discovered the restaurant by chance, variety of malay traditional kuih muih. I was really impressed by the kuih cara berlauk. Crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. Broth of the Prawn 🍤 mee really rich👍🏻. I came a bit late, many kuih were sold out. I will definitely come back to try their other dishes. Recommended 👍🏻

Everything we had here was mind-blowing! Been wanting to try the kueh cara for the longest time (also known as kueh bakar berlauk by some) and it definitely surpassed all expectations. The kueh base provided a comfortable bite and the succulent toppings were flavourful - a perfect bite-sized morsel, couldn't stop savouring it! The talam, kuih seri muka and pink lapis (dunno what it's called in Malay) were also gorgeously silken and a taste sensation. Likewise with the kuih kosui - generous with the fresh coconut and just the right chewiness. And the old school kuih kole topped to the max with the tahi minyak was equally yumms. Loved the savouries too. Popia sirah packed a nice sweet and spicy crunch and the karipap kentang was filled to the max with curry potato cooked exquisitely. Roll that all up with a picturesque space to enjoy the delicacies for a winning combination. Luckily it wasn't crowded with diners when we were there at around 2pm so we sat and sipped peach tea while enjoying some of the treats. Takeaway traffic was brisk and non-stop though with people constantly streaming in for their faves. We'll definitely be back at this gem of a find!

First time eating kuey Cara berluak n didn't know what to expect. So I ordered a small one of 5 piece (rm4 only) instead of the big one. Ohhh... I could have finished the big one. I just started biting while texting and in less than 2 min, all gone. Basically, it's like a meat pie, except the meat is outside. The meat n the kuey are both light in taste and and doesn't empower each other. Very nice. Americano is very affordable at rm7. It's a good freshly ground coffee from beans... Different from the Starbucks and it's more robust n raw in flavour. What a good find!

The best kueh I ever had. And their need bandung udang is superb!!! Don't missed out this awesome place! Also their ice milk tea!! Everything so good! I'll come back again for sure!!! 💖

This cafe is famous for assorted local malay kueh n i highly recommend their Cara Lauk as this is one of the best cara i ever had. The cara has generous marinated filling n does not have entirely flour taste. I gave less 1 star due to i wanted to buy 2 packets but they busy preparing for a bulk order n hence need to wait for them to complete first. To me, it is their system that needs to be improved where to separate cooking for bulk orders n walk-ins. As they were rushing for the bulk order, my cara has a bit more oily then it should. Anyway, the cara needs to be eaten on the same day as if u left them overnight n microwaved, the taste is different.

The shop opens at 10, which is a little late for breakfast but suitable for brunch. We har nasi lemak ayam and mee bandung. Sambal for the nasi lemak was sweet and spicy. Mee bandung gravy was thick, at once it tasted like mee rebus. But both was priced reasonably and taste good. I asked for kueh serabai, but it was not available because they made the kueh by batches and serabai would only be available on later noon. But we tried the popia and the famous kueh cara berlauk, and we loved them both. They taste good and also price reasonably. Will definitely repeat

The chicken was tender and slightly salty. Eating it with the hot and spicy sambal and rice makes for a really nice combination. Roti Jala is also recommended.

This tiny chicken rice shop is one of the few in Melaka with JAKIM halal certification if I'm not mistaken. The menu is quite small, as are the portions of rice and chicken. If you're really hungry you could probably finish two servings of chicken rice. The food is actually quite nice though, and the prices are relatively reasonable. Overall I'd say this is a decent place to get a plate of chicken rice, though there's nothing really remarkable about it.

One of the best HALAL Chinese style roasted chicken rice in the town. Must try and you will not regret😋😋😋 Price is fair and portion is just nice. Must try roasted chicken thigh. Chicken rice ball is recommended too ☺️☺️☺️

Superb halal chicken rice in Bukit Baru. Worth a try as the original restaurant near Stadium Tun Fatimah opened a branch here. Outstanding flavourful chicken rice served with superbly moist rice and awesomely tender and juicy chicken. Also try the bean sprouts, braised egg or choy sum. Very friendly boss and staffs, fairly priced and the service is quick as well. Not too crowded during lunch, recommended to try if you're in Bukit Baru area (parking is free as well). Chicken rice ball finishes fast here though. A bit tough to get the item.

Another good halal place to get a taste of chicken rice balls in Malacca. Rice was not fragrant but the chicken (especially the steam) was delicious. Add the spicy chili sauce and you will be having more rice balls than you intended too (I did 😁)
