Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls in North Hills, Raleigh offers a delightful experience for seafood lovers. The cozy and unassuming ambiance might deceive you, but the food speaks for itself. The warm buttered Connecticut roll is a must-try, with perfectly cooked lobster that melts in your mouth. Despite the small portion size, the flavors are rich and satisfying.
My daughter took me and her Bonus Dad to Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls today at North Hills and boy they did not disappoint. Great service. The young man that took our order was so polite, sweet, and kind. The food was absolutely delicious! My daughter took one bite and said - they must have just caught this lobster at the back of the restaurant. That’s just how fresh the seafood was. Succulent, sweet, juicy and hearty - our Lobster rolls were to die for. Not to mention the toasted, soft, buttery rolls - 💯!!!

Mason's, located in the North Hills shopping district, is full of New England charm with its cute and inviting exterior. The menu has lots of great options to choose from. We tried the Classic Lobster Roll, and while it wasn't quite like the ones you'd get in New England, it still had amazing flavor. It's a bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth it for a fun and special experience! Extras: Good for small groups or solo diners, plenty of parking, takeout or dine in, quick service, counter ordering

Ordered through uber eats and it was definitely 1/5 if not 0/5. I had the lobster Mac and cheese and lobster chowder. Mac and cheese was WAY smaller than what was pictured and had 9 pieces of very small lobster. The bisque was ice cold and had no chucks of lobster that was pictured on the site. Definitely not worth the 40+$ spent.

We stay in a hotel right next to here and stubble across this hidden treasure while taking a walk, lol. You would think this was just a quick fast food restaurant. When you walk in, it's simple and quaint, but when once you taste the food!! This restaurant sells gourmet food. We absolutely loved and enjoyed the lobster rolls. It's buttery and crunchy on the outside. The inside was juicy and cheesy with a hint of lemon butter garlic. The lobster was cooked perfectly, just melting in your mouth. The lobster mac and cheese was amazing as well. The flavors tasted similar just on noodles. I'm so glad we tried both. The prices are a little pricey but definitely worth it. I definitely recommend 👌.

UPDATE - March 2025 - what happened? Your clam chowder was watery and not as thick. Your warm lobster wasn't warm and kind of mushy. Must keep up the food goodness. I was disappointed. I was born and raised in New England, and have enjoyed many seafood restaurants. Since moving to the Raleigh area in 2022, it has been difficult to enjoy seafood that measures up to Northern Atlantic fare. Some of you may by thinking, "well, have you tried so-and-so in such-a-town?" Well, I just tried Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls in North Hills, and I can truly say, the quality of the food is outstanding. I could almost hear the ocean in the Southern Rhode Island area near Newport and Brenton Point. Well, almost... These rolls are fresh and made to order. Then are on the $$ side of things, but well worth it. We spent over $71.00 for two toasted, buttered, rolls, one cup of lobster bisque with lobster chunks (added), one cup of VERY GOOD New England Clam Chowder (other restaurants, pay attention). We had drinks, free chips and ate all of this at their outdoor tables. A beautiful night (weather-wise), with delicious food to boot. One of our best dates in our 23 years of marriage. Save up. Get anything you want and be willing to pay for it. Next time, I will try the lobster roll that has the mayo on it. Because I had never had a roll (ever), I tried the hot lobster meat with butter. This is more similar to boiled lobster I am used to. I truly miss New England, but I live HERE now. Mason's is the place to bring me back there without having to drive 13 hours. No reservations needed. Order your food, and pick it up at the counter. It is such a summer meal waiting for you.

I've had this place on my "Want to Go" list, only because I live so far away from both locations. It so happened that I was in the area yesterday and decided to try, knowing the price was out of the ballpark, lol. 1. It was a little roll on a single, buttered Texas toast. 2. It was generously loaded with flavorful lobster chunks. All in all, I am glad I knocked that one off my list. It was delicious and I saved half of my little roll for my little 8 year old boy because he loves seafood and keeps asking for lobster and shrimp. He approved of this delicious lobster roll. I might try again when the price fluctuates and I'm in the area...or may just get it again at whatever price it is because it was yummy. My total was $25, YIKES! But I know cost of everything has risen and we can't get mad at the restaurant owners for that. They also have families that they need to make money for. That's the only reason I took away one ⭐ star, but other than that...it was very delicious.

Overpriced and low quality. The most watered down, nothing in it, chowder I’ve ever experienced. Sandwiches decent, but very small. Will never return to nor would I recommend this place.

Love their lobster roll so much I order at least once a week if not more . However….half the time the pickle ain’t there . What’s the protocol on adding the pickle ? Feeling? Portion has the same issue . One day it’s full and other days it’s shabby at best. They have a hook on my heart so I’m not going to stop coming/ordering but o seriously hope they fix these issues .

Describing the seafood restaurant 42nd Street Oyster Bar as "Unquestionably Raleigh's Granddaddy of Seafood Restaurants", the restaurant has been around since 1931 and features a menu that ranges from Southern-fried seafood platters to cioppino. With gluten-free options available, a huge wine list, and a classic atmosphere complete with vintage jazz and license plates donated by local politicians, 42nd Street Oyster Bar is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike.
This was my very first job. I was a half-sheller/oyster shucker that prepared raw oysters at the center of the restaurant! As soon as I heard this place was shutting down I was heartbroken! The food here is wonderful, the staff was amazing, and most importantly, the memories I made here during my first few years in 2020 were unforgettable. Shout-out to Patrick and all the hard working half shellers and shucksrs! I will miss you 42nd Street Oyster bar, I wish you stayed open until the end of time! 💅💅💅🥦🤨📸🐴

We visited for the first time earlier this month for a friend's birthday. We don't venture into Raleigh often, but this place is worth the trip! The crab dip was absolutely amazing! My husband had a steak with fantastic flavor and I had the crab and shrimp alfredo. We will certainly be back!

If you have not eaten from here hurry, they are closing at the end of this month. ☹️ The food is amazing every time. Wait staff and servers do great. A must go too.

So we normally don’t frequent this place often. Tonight was absolutely exceptional. The food and drinks were outstanding. If you come here make sure you ask for Tye as your server. He provided excellent service(I hope I spelled his name correctly). As you can tell by the picture we have the swamp platters. More food than you would think you would get. The oysters were really good as well, I forgot to take a picture. Cheers to you all. Oh this dessert will make you slap your mama.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal and excellent service here tonight. They started us out with complimentary hush puppies. The popcorn shrimp portion sizes are large and the option to sub a side for a side salad was a handy. The Cajun flavor on the shrimp and chips, while a little dark, was excellent without being too spicy. My wife enjoyed the baked sweet potato that came with butter and brown sugar. It was nice to have parking available in front of the building, although we arrived early around 5 p.m.

Had a solid experience at this place. Wilder was our server and he was really helpful with recommendations for our first visit. The seafood was excellent—definitely a step up from what we get in Colorado. Good food, relaxed vibe, and solid service all around. Worth checking out if you're in the area.

My family and I came here for my dad’s birthday because we wanted seafood. Made reservations for 6:30 and we were seated immediately. The restaurant has a dark ambiance so if you have problems with vision definitely use a flashlight to read the menu. Our waitress was great and very attentive to our needs and answering our questions. The food was amazing and had great flavor although it did take about 30 minutes to come out. This is a must if you want fresh and flavorful seafood!

I had the most incredible experience at the 42nd St Oyster Bar. It was a spacious and vibrant place, buzzing with energy. The service was top-notch, with the staff being quick and attentive to every detail. And let me tell you, the food was beyond delicious. Every bite was a burst of flavor that left me craving for more. I can't recommend this place enough!

Sitti is a popular Lebanese restaurant located on Wilmington Street, offering a modern twist to authentic Lebanese cuisine. The restaurant features an airy and comfortable setting with communal tables and an art deco bar serving Lebanese liquors, beer, wine, French wines, and local craft beers.
Had the BEST wine pairing dinner at Sitti tonight. Everything was absolutely amazing, from the friendly and attentive staff to the absolutely delicious food and wines. Some of the dishes served are not what I would typically order, such as sea bass and lamb, but the flavors and textures of everything left me wanting more. Excellent job and genuine compliments to the chef!!!🫰

I ordered the goat cheese and orange salad and came on without any goat cheese. My friend had to call the server to explain the situation. Then the server apologized and brought a small plate with goat cheese. Other than that the food was delicious.
Jane J — Google review
Went out for dinner and the food was so delicious! We got the fried cauliflower as a starter which was fantastic especially combined with their pita bread which was just amazing. For my entree I got the artichoke chicken which was super flavorful and very light while also being filling. My partner got the sun dried tomato pizzette which was a very large portion for one, the crust was very well done and the toppings were quite tasty. Overall I would definitely recommend Sitti to anyone looking for a nice date night Mediterranean spot.
Lance F — Google review
The tables had small vases with flowers, the menus had a very sweet backstory and the server was kind. I enjoyed the salad. No wilted lettuce, the oranges were good, the goat cheese was good, the silverware and menus appeared to be clean. The silverware was rolled correctly and during brunch the sunlight in the window seating area was beautiful. I felt the restaurant was quiet which gave a peaceful eating experience.
Brittany B — Google review
The food was amazing, but the surprise of gratis pita made the whole trip feel like a delight. Flavors and textures shined, and the pita itself was warm, soulful, and quietly magical. ✨

We stopped by this restaurant before heading to the symphony, and it happened to be during a busy downtown event. The place was packed, and it seemed like the staff was a bit overwhelmed—but they handled it as best they could. Despite being short-handed, the food was genuinely good and the atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. One suggestion: it might help if the hostess or non-serving staff could assist with basic guest needs like refilling water or checking in, especially during peak times. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. A little chaotic, but the quality of the food and the vibrant setting made it worth the visit.
Theodore W — Google review
Food was great! We had the dip trio and halloumi app, and for food the salmon which were all good. The bread was nice and unique as well.
Nuwanthi H — Google review
I have been here a few times and the food is undoubtedly great! However, the service was very slow. There was a 30-minute wait to get seated which was fine. After getting seated, it took around 15 minutes for someone to attend to us and bring water. Then it took another 20 minutes for that waiter to come back to take our order. Then it took almost another hour (yes, an hour!) for them to bring the food. And this is the case with every customer that night. Finally the food arrived and it was awesome. The manager came by and apologized for the delay. Then the bill came. They gave 50% discount and then gave a couple of Baklavas in a box. I really didn’t want any discount as I enjoyed the food. I thought it was a great gesture acknowledging the slow service. It’s worth noting that I went there on a Saturday evening and a few events were happening in the downtown. The whole city was packed with people and understandably the restaurants were super busy that night.

Glenwood Grill & GLENWOOD Grill Annex is a renowned destination for those seeking Southern coastal cuisine in a sophisticated setting. Located in Glenwood Village, the restaurant offers expanded covered outdoor seating by reservation. Since 1997, it has been serving up classic Southern comfort food with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The menu features favorites like fried green tomatoes, short ribs, and shrimp and grits.
Located in an unassuming shopping center, Glenwood Grill offers neighbors and those who have the good fortune to find it an excellent dining experience and watering hole. This was our first visit, dining with family who live in the neighborhood. We were told that we "must" order the hamburger, which we did and did not regret. In my opinion, what makes this burger stand on its own are the caramelized onions, horseradish sauce (not to worry, not too much heat, just right!), and challa bread to enclose the contents. The burger was prepared as requested. Our sides of French fries and sweet potato fries (wife and I respectively) were well prepared and crisp. We also shared a side of creamed spinach which was less "creamed" and more spinach in cream. The dish was tasty with the spinach maintaining good texture and freshness. Our service was prompt and professional with the server offering assistance as needed. The ambiance reminded me of some experiences in small restaurants in larger cities: tight but ample seating with an elevated level of lively conversations. Overall a very good dining experience that I would recommend and return to sample other options.

Had a lovely dinner as usual. Haven't been here in 5 years and just as good. Food is fresh & delicious. Loved, loved, loved the pepper jack grits croutons in the Southern Caesar salad. It was my husbands birthday & they surprised us with dessert. As I said we haven't been here in 5 years and yet we were treated like neighbors. Talk about Southern hospitality.

A little disappointed. This was out first visit here. We ordered the special. It was pan seared snapper over potatoes with lobster and tomatoes. Flavor was very good, but there was ZERO "pan sear". Dessert we had the creme Brule, and the apple crisp with ice cream. Brule was excellent, but the apple crisp was 95% apple with zero "crisp". The crispy granola is the best part. We will give it another shot, but we were were disappointed this trip.

9.18.25 Stopped in at Glenwood Grill Annex to peruse their offerings. I purchased the pan-seared salmon, scalloped potatoes and succotash. After cooking at home, I found the caper-enhanced salmon perfectly cooked and tangy (no need for lemon), the 2 ramkin-sized scalloped potatoes were fluffy and creamy and the succotash with baby butter beans and fresh sliced-from-the- cob corn with red peppers was a taste bud delight. Definitely will return for another helping of the salmon.

I first want to say the food was delicious! I had the pork belly appetizer, seafood & grits & my boyfriend had the rack of lamb. No complaints there. My issue was the service/atmosphere- we were a 10 top that was put in a separate room away from the ambience and rest of the dining room. Our server could not be bothered, service was mediocre at best. He kept making random comments about walking his dog & making sure to stay hydrated. My issue is that we were charged $50 to cut a small grocery store cake ($5pp) and were not told about this charge at any point. Not everyone even wanted a slice but they were not asked & was still charged the fee. We were not offered a dessert menu until after the cake was served. If given beforehand, we probably would've ordered one of each but I guess he didnt want the sale. The server seemed to just want to get us out of there. This really put a damper on my birthday dinner and upset everyone in my party. Even though the food was good, I don't think we'll be back. There are too many other restaurants in Raleigh to choose from. Sucks, because I've been looking forward to dining here.

The service is great! It was the lunch special that made the dinning experience went down. Another great thing is the restroom! My hubby said it was nice and clean!

We have been dining at the Glenwood Grill since 1997 when John left Charleston and came to Raleigh. It is our most cherished local restaurant. It has always felt like home. I have never had a meal that wasn’t delicious and inspired. The wait staff is always friendly and well trained. The atmosphere is always warm and the energy is always good.

Rey's Restaurant is a fine dining restaurant that offers an innovative menu inspired by New Orleans with French Quarter accents. The restaurant has a cozy, inviting ambiance and a charming new courtyard perfect for al fresco dining.
We went for a birthday celebration and it was our first visit. Our waiter was exceptional and very personable with our party of 8. Sometimes that makes all the difference. He gave great suggestions that didn't disappoint. The food was great for the most part. Some items needed a dab of salt and pepper but nothing crazy. We ordered a variety of items so we could all taste lots of menu items. We ended with the bananas foster and it was amazing.

Wonderful upscale restaurant. Excellent service, delicious food, nice atmosphere. We really enjoyed our dinner, everything was perfect! Highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back soon to try more items from the menu. Thank you!

We planned a visit here after an influencer recommended this place to have the best steak in Raleigh. To start the bread and wedge salad were delicious. My wife and I both ordered a bone in ribeye with a lobster tail. Where we messed up was listening to the recommendation of getting the lobster tail that’s cut up, seasoned, and put back in the shell. It was plated with the steak and when I tell you it was the most over powering garlic I’ve ever had, it sadly ruined my steak also. I had to scrap my plate twice to get the garlic off. The steak was super tender and juicy and cooked perfect but all I could taste was the sauce from the lobster. We didn’t complain but the server noticed we’d removed our lobster from our steak plate and we explained why. She insisted they get us a regular lobster tail even though we said no it was fine our mistake for ordering the other, she still brought us two regular ones to take home. The lyonnaise potatoes were not good, they were like thick chips, I wanted to ask for ketchup. We had the banana foster and it was delicious and the table side presentation was nice. Would love to try their steak again without all the garlic sauce running under it. Tried to eat it after we got back to the hotel and it was still all garlic. In short, go with what you know, maybe skip the recommendations.

Wow! We had an absolutely incredible experience at Rey’s tonight as we were celebrating an anniversary. Brian, our server, went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and did all of the little things to make our experience one to remember. We started with fresh bread and the crab cake appetizer. Our main courses consisted of a 8 oz. Filet Mignon and the 22 oz. Bone-in ribeye special with shrimp. We finished the night with bananas foster—the perfect dessert to cap off a wonderful evening! We will definitely return and ask Brian to be our server again.

Rey’s Restaurant in Cary is easily one of the best—if not the best—restaurants in the Triangle. You know how people talk about hidden gems? Well, Rey’s isn’t hidden at all. It’s a big, shining gem that everyone should know about, and for good reason. The food is every bit as impressive as the service. The lamb chops were outstanding—tender, juicy little lollipops dipped in a rich, flavorful sauce that made every bite memorable. But the real showstopper was the Bananas Foster. They lit it on fire right at the table, turning dessert into an incredible performance. Watching the flames dance was unforgettable, and the flavor was even better. If you’re lucky, you may even meet Rey himself—a gracious, welcoming host. Simply put, Rey’s sets the standard for fine dining in the Triangle.
Luther K — Google review
Rey’s is our favorite go to restaurant to celebrate special occasions. They have multiple private rooms that allow for a special seclude event. These rooms make it feel that you are the only one in the restaurant. The staff is outstanding. They know the menu inside and out and can make great recommendations. The atmosphere is exactly how you want it for an upscale restaurant and elegant evening. And of course, the staff brings it to a whole new level of service. Everything on the menu is excellent. You can’t go wrong with your choice. I love their lamb chops, and they are spiced and cooked to a supreme delicacy. My wife usually goes with the fillet. This is a great choice of meat, and the chef does not fail with this cut of meat. The sea bass is excellent. Don’t forget the appetizers. The lobster bits are above the mark. The seared scallops are also a favorite of mine. The French onion soup is excellent and not too salty with the right amount of melted cheese and crispy overflow. The gumbo is also a great choice. Their salads are superb and offer a nice variety. My favorite is the Jackson Square Chop Salad. The sides are family style and delicious. Our go to is the creamed corn and sauteed mushrooms. The final jewel in Rey’s crown is the bananas foster. It is prepared table side and so you get the flaming entertainment as you wait for this outstanding dessert. It is truly our favorite dessert.

What an Amazing Meal and Experience! My wife and I have celebrated our second and 12th anniversary here. This last week we came in and had a wonderful meal with our son and his girlfriend. The gumbo, main fish course I had and the bananas foster were all served to perfection! Our server had a voice and personality that was out of this world. Definitely an evening to remember. Be sure to bring your check book but it is worth it. I hope you get to meet Rey while you are there. He might just cook your bananas foster himself!

I cannot recommend this restaurant. The service was outstanding. The food was very mediocre. Probably the worst steak I have ever eaten at a restaurant. I had flashbacks to the steak my mother used to make as a kid that I would chew and chew until all the moisture was sucked out of my mouth and I would want to spit it out. We started with the summer salad, which was described as " peaches, watermelon, tomato, cucumber, onion, goat cheese and bacon". What we were served was a salad of nectarines and beets with a few tomatoes, one tiny piece of cucumber and a side wedge of watermelon. Luckily, I like beets. But a third of this salad was beets. So, the oversight of mentioning a key ingredient leads me to believe that this salad doesn't normally include beets. Or nectarines. And we were served a cobbled together salad of what was in the kitchen. I don't know much about steak cuts. I had a choice of 10 ounce filet, 16 ounces ribeye or 16 ounces New York strip all for $50. I asked the waiter for the most marbled, juiciest cut. What came out was perfectly cooked. But it was sirloin. I know enough to see that there was not an iota of fat in that steak. It was pure red. So even cooked medium rare, it was impossible to cut (I hurt my wrist trying to cut it up), unpleasant to chew, and altogether incredibly disappointing. The staff tried to make it right. I give them credit. But I didn't want a new steak. It seems to me, that the kitchen staff felt that this was an appropriate steak to put out to the consumer. And, as such, the restaurant should be judged on what they served. And I didn't want a biased review. My friend ordered the salmon and said it was "fine". She wouldn't go out of her way to return just to eat the salmon. I would go out of my way to avoid returning.

Salt & Lime Cabo Grill is a great place to go for all occasions. They specialize in Baja Peninsula cuisine, and their Santa Fe Corn is top notch - it's smothered in chipotle aioli, cotija cheese, lime and cilantro. If you're looking for some delicious Mexican food, this is the spot!
We recently grabbed lunch here for the first time, but have been enjoying dinners here since we discovered it about a year ago. We’ve tried to sample at least a couple new things each visit, sometimes an appetizer or salsa, sometimes a different main dish. While we have some favorites, we’ve really enjoyed everything. Salt & Lime has become a regular haunt for us.

Our favorite Mexican food in all of NC! Stars of the show here for us are the Carne Asada tacos, Classic Fish Tacos, Chicken and Poblano Chowder, and the Cabo Burger. You can’t go wrong with any of these options and so many more. What really makes this restaurant a local gem though is the staff. The owners are very involved and take a lot of pride in their business and customer satisfaction. Every single waiter or waitress we’ve ever had has been friendly, helpful, and goes above and beyond to make sure you have a good experience eating here. The last thing I’ll add is that Salt and Lime Cabo Grill is consistently good. I’ve been plenty of places and enjoyed their steak tacos but not everyone can nail it 100% of the time. I swear though about several dozen trips to this restaurant, they nail is every. single. time!

I was a little irritated at first because the server had me waiting about 10-15mins. However, Food was fresh and came quick. We got the bbq mahi tacos and the Bangkok shrimp tacos. Both were delicious and filling. The guacamole was fresh. We also had the sangrita with island sangria. You can taste the alcohol which is always a plus! I will be back!

This place use to pack flavor. Maybe all the chefs went to the new location. Last time was also underwhelming. Not going to return for bland cold food. I forced myself to eat what I could. The silverware was also very dirty even with some leftover lettuce and somehow the sparkling water arrived with no carbonation.

Came into. Town and my son suggested that we go to dinner there with his girlfriend. And my husband it was quite interesting. I like the atmosphere. The service was excellent. And the food was even better. I'm usually very picky about my Mexican food. But I did find Everything really delicious. And that's usually hard to please me. So I highly recommend this Mexican food delight their bar seems really cute as well. Well, populated and lots of atmosphere.

This was an excellent pick for a double date night! The food was really well-made fresh and tasty. Lots of vegetarian options as well! Our waitress was gracious and had lots of recommendations! The margaritas were on point. Not too sweet or boozy and were refreshing! Overall, five stars and we will definitely go back for seconds!

Service was excellent. My server was amazing. Food was great. I loved the Penne Alla Tequila pasta as well as the Cabo rolls. Everything was well seasoned. The churros were hot, fresh, and soft. The first place where I’ve had churros that weren’t rock hard in a while! I ordered the Baja Trio (salsa, guacamole, queso) which was delicious too. Street tacos were fresh and simple in a good way along with the street corn. Every dish I tried was freshly made which I appreciated. There are many drink options including Margaritas and Tequila flights. Overall, my experience was exceptional! I will be back.

Tony's Taps & Oyster Co. is a beloved neighborhood spot with a welcoming atmosphere and top-notch customer service. The owner, Tony, is known for greeting guests personally and ensuring their dining experience exceeds expectations. Despite some challenges with staffing, the team remains friendly and attentive. Regulars appreciate the new management while still enjoying the same quality dishes, particularly highlighting the delicious oysters and flavorful vegetable sauté side dish.
No more traveling to the coast for a steam pot for my family! Their steam pot was on point! Customer service was top notch! Tony seems like a great guy. Food was delicious! Really enjoyed the artichoke hearts, steak, and crab cakes! HOWEVER, MASK PROTOCOLS WERE NOT IN PLACE! We ordered our food to go because it was simply too crowded. There was an insane amount of guests, and some staff, all packed together throughout the ENTIRE FACILITY WITHOUT MASKS!Staff were friendly. One of the patrons at the bar was very rude to me. Definitely wanted to let me know that people of color were not welcomed near him. Even shook his head and told me "No" when I approached the bar. We've been to this establishment before and never had that experience before. We love the oysters and have enjoyed live music on several occasions. Looking forward to returning, but only for take out at this time, due to the lack of mask wearers.

We had a great time at Tony’s. Although it was crowded and we had a bit of a wait, it was well worth it. People wore their masks until they got to their table and were seated. Taj and the bar crew were absolutely fantastic!! They will even make up a concoction for you if you aren’t sure what you want. We will definitely be back!!!!

Tony’s Taps & Oyster Co. has a diverse menu of great food and drinks! The bartenders know their mixology and it showed in the drinks, while wearing masks. Tony’s support local breweries and have the best live bands on the weekends. The staff is super friendly and kind, with masks! The place has been remodeled with a classier, clean and simple look. Everyone has to make a decision for themselves, but it doesn’t never take away the great food, drinks, service and music. Make no mistake, this is an awesome place to go!

Like most restaurants, struggling to keep employees. Our server Greg was really good but also the best tender. He stayed super busy, but was on top of things. I am giving it a 4 because they were out of fried oysters and she crab soup and can't get Kahlua. Not their fault but still it is an oyster bar.

Our food was delish and every order was exactly correct. Ask for Tracey…but then again, she may only be assigned the important people.

My husband an I went here for our 5 years wedding anniversary. Let just say I was so disappointed to say the least the restaurant is small, dark, gloomy and very outdated. The service was meh not what you’d expect for the price you’re paying. When I looked their menu over I wanted to get up and leave. The prices are high but we could’ve paid a little more and went to Ruth Chris or capital and got a far better atmosphere service and steak portion and flavor. The chicken Marsala tasted way better than my $100 20oz ribeye. I was so disappointed. The waiter kept calling us kiddos and he took a few pictures and said a curse word which we are ppl who do not use profane language. The chef comes out to speak once you get your meal but we didn’t know who he was as he didn’t introduce his self and neither did the servers. and he didn’t have good table side manners. He was very dry. We paid $189 for a bland ribeye steak and two chicken cutlets over linguine half of a potato and fried calamari oh and one cream soda. The twice baked potato was $10 for half a potato stuffed with bland chunky mashed potatoes. I paid $6 for garlic butter and $8 for chimichurri this place is for locals who grew up in the area not for a special occasion I’m just so up set I didn’t go to a better place I can make a better steak at home.

We went to Vinnie’s for my fiancé‘s birthday dinner. We were pleased with the appearance and the atmosphere of the restaurant. But we were very disappointed with the service as the night continued. Originally I made a reservation for 630 and put in the notes that it was my fiancé‘s birthday. Once we got there and were seated, we had to remind the waitress that it was his birthday and she did not react. There was two other tables that she was servicing. One lady said it was her birthday and the waitress proceeded to ask deeper questions about her birthday like was it today or was it yesterday and they engaged in further conversation. There was another table where she engaged in further conversation as well, but once she got to us, everything was very short. Additionally, the two tables that she was servicing were seated after us, but ordered similar items that we did, which were steak, salad, salmon, and a couple of sides. They were served 30 minutes before we were. When we looked at the time we saw that we had been waiting on food for an hour. This made us feel upset as we noticed that the other tables were being served in a different manner. Once we finished our meal she never said anything else about it being his birthday so I had to proceed to ask what they do for birthdays she then asked what dessert he would like and said that she could bring it out with the a candle. Even that took long, the other tables again were served their desserts before we were served ours. We ended up getting the dessert to go and left with heavy hearts. I do not want to accuse them of being racist, but we were the only only African-American people in the restaurant and we’re clearly being treated differently. If I knew this would be the case I would have never brought my fiancé here to spend his special day just to not be treated special at all. I ended up reaching out and the manager, Taylor assured me they would “train better” but that was it. Really don’t feel like they cared to resolve the issue. We will not be back.

25 years ago during SummerSlam, Jim Ross did a plug for this restaurant. I’ve always wanted to stop and eat here. I finally got to do it. My New York Strip steak was cooked perfectly. The desserts were awesome. I was not disappointed by this place. The staff was friendly, the drinks were good, and I loved all the atmosphere of this place. When I’m in Raleigh I for sure will come back.

Went here with some friends for dinner. We had reservations and were seated quickly. The waitress was really good. The atmosphere and decor is so so. Wife is gluten free and they were pretty knowledgeable on that aspect. Had spinach dip and calamari for apps, both were delicious. I had the filet and lobster tail which was very good, steak and lobster tail were cooked perfectly. Wife had the Salmon which was overcooked as well as her risotto. The bill was pretty high, we had a couple of cocktails and it was north of 300.00. Between the overcooked meal and the atmosphere, it brought the rating down to 3 stars.

My wife and I had dinner last night to celebrate my birthday. It was a wonderful experience. Our server, Valentina, was very friendly and on-the-ball at all times. They first brought out the complimentary starter deviled eggs, which we found delicious and unique. We began with an order of the okra which is only in-season at this time of year. The portion was huge, so plan to share; the picture below shows an almost half-eaten portion. Being from NC, I consider myself an okra aficionado, and this is the best I have ever eaten. Then we shared the Beefsteak Tomato special, which was very fresh, unique, and wonderful. I had the Delmonico steak -- prepared and seasoned perfectly, with just the right amount of crust on the surface of the steak. Since it was my Birthday, they offered me a complimentary dessert, and I chose their Blueberry Crostini. Chef Tom Armstrong came out to chat with us, answered all my wife's questions about how he makes the okra, and he shared how he visits the Farmers Market to pick out the vegetables personally. He came back out after they delivered the Crostini to see how I liked it. We had a fantastic time. This is a very special place for special occasions.

While the service was excellent I thought the food was just okay for the price. Alcoholic beverages were about 25% higher than normal, food was fair not fantastic. Our appetizer ( crab dip ) was mostly bread crumbs and I could have had a better steak at Outback. Everything was a la cart. For the price a baked potato should have been included.. $10.00 for the potato. Will I be back .... NO

I decided to give Cape Fear Seafood Company a try and I'm glad I did. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and seated. The menu offered a wide selection of delicious seafood dishes. As an appetizer, we ordered the hushpuppies which were delightful. The fried shrimp was lightly breaded, reminiscent of Calabash style shrimp. My wife opted for the lunch portion of shrimp and grits which she described as excellent.
Solo dining experience made easy and enjoyable. I was trying something new as a Mom of two which was to treat myself to a night out. My son has a shellfish allergy so I saw it as the perfect time to have a seafood dinner. I was seated right away. For my appetizer, I ordered the mussels which were delicious down to the sauce. As a New Englander native, I was tempted to try the New Bedford Sea Scallops and those did not disappoint. The two different pepper coulis options were a nice idea. I was partial to the yellow pepper but both were delicious. Feeding my sweet tooth, I ordered the blueberry cobbler a la mode. It was good, nothing fancy. While satisfying, it was my least favorite dish of the night and was the only item that was returned not completely empty (but I was close 👀). Perhaps it was that it tasted the least ‘fresh made.’ Jamila was an incredible server. Although she wore many hats that night: bartender, taking orders (table side and bar top), directing take out orders, I even saw her bussing tables in the bar area (where I sat) and may have even been helping the main room that night as well. She did it all with a smile, laughter and managed to make everyone feel as though they were the only customer that night. I see you lady! I’ll be back.

Recently visited CFSC at Spring Forest while on a road trip from Charlotte. We arrived around 5 pm on a Saturday before the dinner traffic and were able to be seated without a wait. This was a first visit for us even though we have lived in NC for about 8 yrs. The ambiance is pleasant and light, with big windows, unbusy seaside décor, perfect for conversation and relaxing. The appetizers include favorites with a Southern flair like fried green tomatoes and fried okra, but we began with crab dip and pita bread as an appetizer, perfect intro for what came next. For the mains, we chose the Saltimbocca and the Calabash Fried Flounder. My partner found the Saltimbocca tasty, while the flounder was nicely done, hot and tender with very light breading. The portions were generous. Our server was attentive and the service was prompt and everything arriving at the table fresh and at the right temperature. Sadly we did not have room for dessert, but we were drawn to the Key Lime pie, the crème brulee and the Pot de crème au chocolate among all the excellent options. Plans are to include a dessert or two with dinner on a return visit in the future. Highly recommended!

Just moved to NC from Florida. Ran into this seafood restaurant while my husband and I were driving around. We gave it a try with my parents and found everything amazing. Definitely going back.

Amazing Seafood Experience – A Must-Visit in Raleigh! My visit to Cape Fear Seafood Company was absolutely wonderful! From the inviting atmosphere to the incredibly friendly staff, everything exceeded expectations. Our waitress, Courtney, was especially outstanding. She was attentive, personable, and even went above and beyond to help us take home a couple of the restaurant’s signature glasses as a souvenir! Now, let’s talk about the food, wow! Everything was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The Shrimp and Grits (their signature dish) was a standout: creamy, smoky, and deliciously smooth, with just the right balance of richness and spice. It’s easily one of the best versions of this dish I’ve ever had. Full stop. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience, and I can’t wait to go back. If you’re in Raleigh and craving top-notch seafood with great service, Cape Fear Seafood Company is the place to be!

Went to Cape Fear Seafood for the first time on Saturday. I can honestly tell you that the food there was food was very good. For starters, we had the hot crab dip on pita bread. The crab dip had melted cheese on top, and it was very tasty. The pita bread was crispy for the most part, and just a little soft in others. For the main dish I had the The Whole Boat fried combo. You can't go wrong with a plate like that. Go there hungry, and you won't be when you leave. Next time I'll have to try the blueberry cobbler ala mode. It really look good.

Neat idea. A stand alone food court. Also, it has a bar and some entertainment options. Indoor and outdoor seating with large spaces for moving around. Great for a college town. Individual shops/eateries that we visited were all pretty pricey.

His was better than mine. He got a cheesesteak from a place and I got chicken Slovakia. i'll probably will come back next time in Raleigh and try out some other things. Great food hall! No matter what you're in the mood for, they have just about everything here. They have everything from Greek to Southern. Fried Seafood, pizza, tacos, burgers and they even have some places to satisfy your sweet tooth like sweet boba, rolled ice cream, macaroons and a milkshake establishment. We went on a busy Saturday afternoon and there was still decent seating options available both inside and outside. Not the most spacious establishment but it's comfortable. Very family-friendly and the wait times are pretty swift.

My partner and I purpose when we went to Raleigh is to go to Morgan food hall because we seen the Gym Taco was located inside. But also wanted to kill two birds with one stone because there were other food places we wanted to try while we were there as well. Therefore we tried Buena Papa Fry Bar and it was certainly a bar! We filled so much on our fries we were cromotose when we were done lol. The fries were so good!!! Barely finished them in the food hall. Flavorfull, big portions of everything added on to the fries and customer service was top notch ( Sowjanya B) who made our food. I suggest anyone has been there go immediately!!! $17 for the fries, worth it. Next we finally hitup Gym Taco, very small menu but to be expected since it was in the food hall. I had three tacos with El pastor on it, salsa Verde, pico and pineapple which was very interesting but overall tasted decent being my first time. My partner had gotten the shrimp gringas and oh boy his was so flavorfull yet small portions but packed a heavy punch of flavor. Highly recommend getting what he got. My tacos were $4 each and his $9. Then we went over to Times Square Deli, I got a Times Square Philly Steak that cost $14.99 with tax and add service $$16.68. Sorry not worth it at all, yes the hoagie was fresh and good but I had barely any meat in it, definitely flavor however I don't find myself going to them again. Lastly my partner went to Chopsticks X Forks and ordered orange chicken and rice with vegetables. Price was $14.95, the plate wasn't worth it but the flavor was good in his opinion and mine as well.

Cousins Maine Lobster Restaurant in Raleigh is a delightful culinary gem that brings the taste of authentic Maine seafood right to your neighborhood. This popular food truck, which has gained fame from its appearance on Shark Tank, offers a variety of mouthwatering dishes including lobster rolls, sandwiches, salads, and even unique options like lobster tacos and tots. You can find them roaming around the Triangle area or visit their permanent spot at Morgan Street Food Hall in Downtown Raleigh for a more stationary experience.
Excellent, excellent lobster!!! You will not be disappointed. I was actually surprised by the not-so-great reviews. Well, after scrolling through the negative reviews, I realized that most people were citing price as a negative and not so much the taste or quality of the lobster/ food. Well, yes it’s priced a bit higher than your typical food options. However..... this is Lobster!!! And I mean huge chunks of lobster meat. So, highly recommend it!
Enrique M — Google review
Portion sizes are small for the price. The food tastes great (except for the coleslaw which was bland), but honestly, for this price I have had better. It was $41 (pre tip) for a small roll and two tiny tacos with tater tots.
Iga K — Google review
Cousins Maine Lobster: good but definitely overpriced. 22.50 for a lobster roll and mid Coleslaw. The lobster roll is put on a toasted sandwich slice, not an actual roll. Good buttery sauce with the lobster. Id be curious to try their clam chowder and see how good it is. The lobster does not compare to lobster rolls in Boston or Bar Harbor, but it comes close. The size is also surprisingly small for the price you pay. I’d stick to BBQ and Indian food in the Raleigh area, to be honest. Edit - love to hear replies from the establishment. Thanks for reaching out! Sorry about over-estimating the price to portion ratio; the cost is understandable considering the import required. The lobster was very delicious to be fair, and so was the bread!!

Visiting the food truck always gets me excited, and I had the same experience a few years back but gave it another shot. The service is great. The guys in the truck are super nice. The meal is prepared quickly for what it is, and as always, it tastes amazing! The only downside is that they change you $7 for extra meat. I did this a few years back and felt like there wasn't extra on it compared to previous regular Conn rolls I've had. Well, I gave it a go this time because I asked what that meant exactly, and they said I'd get an extra handful of meat. It's lobster, I could justify the $37 combo for that, so I ordered the extra meat. I was highly disappointed to find that I didn't get extra meat, all they did was put small pieces on mine to make it look like more meat when it actually was exactly the same in weight that my coworker got on hers. The only difference was that she had larger chunks in fewer quantities. Due to the lunch hour. I just sucked it up and ate it without speaking to the workers. It was absolutely delicious, and I'll continue to get food from here. However, I'll opt out of the extra meat. Oh, their tater tots are the best!

The lobster roll was good but small..rolls were very buttery. Service was not as friendly at the counter. Not much lobster on the lobster tots.Still good that we can enjoy Maine lobster rolls for North Carolina! Would recommend!

Food truck in Knightdale, NC. Service great. Food terrible. Ordered lobster and tots. Was looking forward to a succulent lobster tail. The lobster was fried! OMG, what a way to kill lobster. It was so overdone, tough and tasteless. It was like eating dried beef, unseasoned. Plus, it was all of two bites. The tots were greasy. All for the low price of $20!!! Never again will I eat at this food truck.

Our first time to try cousins Maine lobster and today is Mother's day! We got Maine roll and Connecticut roll. Amazing fresh delicious! Good service! Love the lady in the truck! We will keep an eye out for your schedule. We will buy the home kit next time!
DXENO X — Google review
Shocked at the number of bad reviews I’ve seen. This particular Cousins is not a food truck, it’s located inside of Morgan Street Food Hall. Perhaps because I went on an off peak time (2p on a Tuesday) there was no issue with wait or service. I had the clam chowder and the Connecticut roll, both of which were amazing. My colleague had the lobster tacos which she also raved about. I had a great experience here!

Oyster bar restaurant
St. Roch Fine Oysters + Bar is a New Orleans-inspired restaurant and oyster bar in Raleigh, offering a curated menu of raw and roasted oysters alongside a variety of seafood dishes. The chef/owner, Sunny Gerhart, pays homage to his Louisiana roots through the playful decor and kitschy atmosphere. After facing challenges during the pandemic and a kitchen fire in 2021, St.
The food was so good I forgot to take pictures of most of it. They have an interesting take on oysters with their different flavors. The fried shrimp was absolutely packed with flavor and the most delicious breading! I only wish we had gotten more because I was sad when it was all gone!
B — Google review
Firstly, I have to give a note of appreciation to Megan Nichols and the team at "NC Eat & Play". It is because of their "Brunch Guide to the NC Triangle" that I even knew about St. Roch. I’m not exaggerating when I say this was one of the finest dinning experiences I’ve had in a long time. My aunt and I came here for brunch on a Saturday morning at 11am. From walking in through the arched vestibule to sitting at a back booth our expectations were only on the rise. My Meal Frenchman’s Punch Hama Hama Oysters (raw) Carolina Calabash w/ Fried Catfish Aunties Meal Irish Coffee Carolina Calabash w/ Fried Shrimp Side of Grits Beignets w/ Bourbon Caramel Sauce (shared) We were greeted by a handful of wait staff with friendly smiles and a southern greeting. We were waited on promptly by a very hospitable man who said cheers every time we ordered or he checked on us. They take the entire order at the very beginning and course everything out in the kitchen. Every detail is thought out to the letter! They even used cut pieces of paper from outdated menus as a barrier between the dish the food came in and the plate it was on. Resourceful and deliberate in every choice they make. And the food. Oh, the food! In a word, exquisite. The Frenchman’s Punch was very light and refreshing. A complexity of flavors that felt very southern and well balanced. The oysters were very fresh and buttery. We both ordered the Calabash and neither of us were able to finish all of it. About 15 min into the meal I realized that my fish was still steaming hot! Sometimes catfish can be oily, wet, gamy or some combination. This fish was none of those things. The breading was crispy and light while the fish was gently cooked and flavorful. The Calabash also comes with pomme frites and hushpuppies. Both were of excellent quality and perfectly cooked. The shrimp was very nice, nothing extravagant, but perfectly cooked, breading was thin and crispy (also had a little taste of paprika). These came with aioli and a buttermilk dressing, both of which were also wonderful. I think the star of the meal was the grits. These were not your ordinary grits. They’re high-quality, course, stone ground grits made with a béchamel sauce. I have never thought of adding béchamel to grits, but that is the only way I’ll make them going forward! Closing the meal with Beignets was also phenomenal. So perfectly made with a delicious sauce (really all of the sauces were fantastic), and we savored every drop. I cannot stop thinking about this amazing meal, service and restaurant. This will now be a regular stop every time I’m in Raleigh! Thank you for a perfect meal.

I have nothing but great things to say about St. Roch! The quality of the oysters were top tier and the service was unmatched. My husband and I were searching for a good oyster happy hour and landed here. $9 for a half dozen during happy hour was great, we ordered 2 dozen of their raw NC oysters and also had the roasted garlic butter ones as well. We will be returning, tomorrow for a round 2 and to explore more of the menu.

Just ate here for the first time and was very impressed! We had the cauliflower salad, which was delicious and unique, and the oysters/shrimp/crab combo platter — everything was super fresh and flavorful. The crackers and fixings for making little oyster bites were a great touch. The service and atmosphere were both excellent, and I loved the music selection (need to get ahold of that playlist!). We’ll definitely be back — thank you for a great experience!

So much is right and enjoyable here. The best extremely fresh oysters, lovely flavors in 'NoLa with a twist" main dishes and appetizers, calm friendly service from our favorite server Nathan (& his colleagues). Simply put, an inviting spot for couples, a small group, or going solo for the sheer joy of enjoying excellent food in a creative and well-appointed environment. When back in Raleigh I'll happily return!

Instantly my favorite restaurant in Raleigh. Everything is cooked and seasoned perfectly; I was only sad I couldn't try everything in one visit. We will be back for more! The oysters were delicious, even for me and I don't usually eat them raw. It was fun to mix & match all the different toppings. I also highly recommend the fried shrimp and the hushpuppies.
Casey W — Google review
Service was outstanding. Oysters on half shell were very good. Char grilled were not the best. Gumbo had a lot of shredded chicken... wasn't so good. Service was awesome. No TV's, which was kind of weird to me.
AD — Google review
St. Rochs absolutely blew us away. The food was phenomenal — every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully executed. Their happy hour oyster deal is truly unbeatable, and the quality is just as impressive as the price. Our server, Matthew, was outstanding — his service rivaled and even surpassed that of some of the top restaurants we’ve visited around the world. His attention to detail and warm professionalism elevated the entire experience. One note to the restaurant: please rename the “charred cabbage.” The name does it no justice and may be why it’s one of the most overlooked items on the menu. It’s beyond amazing — a must-try dish that deserves a better spotlight. Overall, St. Rochs delivers an exceptional dining experience on every level. We can’t wait to return!

The steakhouse Oak Steakhouse offers a great selection of steak options, from filet to strip. The meal is accompanied by sides like Southern mac and cheese and brussel sprouts, making it easy for any taste. The staff is friendly and welcoming, no matter what time of day you go.
Came here for my birthday for the first time. The staff was impeccable, we had the pleasure of being served by James, he was super knowledgable about the starters, main dishes, and sides. James was very exceptional and kind, thank you for making my day so special! The restaurant is beautiful. We were a bit nervous as we noticed the sanitation score was at 95 and typically like to dine at establishments 97 and above but everything was great. Highly recommend the bread rolls and Mac n’ cheese.

Oak was a wonderful experience. Our waiter, Paul, was fantastic. I wish we could have him as our waiter every time! He gave great recommendations, was quick to answer questions and food was brought out in a quick timely manner. The food was fantastic. The hanger steak and bone marrow were a great pair to try together with the oak steak sauce, and the Mac and cheese was the perfect amount of cheesy. The bread and butter and oyster Rockefellers were great apps to try. Honestly could’ve done without one of those apps because at the end I was a comfortable full! The peanut butter and Oreo cream pie was the perfect birthday dessert, very rich but so yummy! Definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion!

We had an amazing experience. The Beef Wellington is to die for as well as the filet and mac and cheese. The service was also top tier. Our waitress, Kasey, was wonderful. She was attentive, informative, as well as very kind. The managers were also great and wished me a happy birthday. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I went to Oak Steakhouse in Raleigh on the very first night of a recent trip, and I absolutely loved this spot. The interior is incredible, with a unique log cabin vibe that instantly makes you feel cozy and special, definitely unlike any other steakhouse I’ve been to. The steaks were exquisite, cooked to perfection, and the bone marrow was honestly one of the most memorable bites I’ve had all year. Beyond the food, the cocktails were expertly crafted, the service was attentive and friendly, and the overall atmosphere made for an exceptional dining experience. Oak Steakhouse is a must-visit if you find yourself in Raleigh! I highly recommend checking it out.

My wife and I celebrated our two year anniversary and the night couldn’t have been more perfect. Oak Steakhouse was recommended to us since we are from CO and it hit every mark imaginable. The ambiance was relaxing and fun, our server, Cameron, was hilarious and knowledgeable, and the food was delectable. The smoked Manhattan was spot on, the shishito peppers were yummy, the pear salad was perfect for summer, the Beef Wellington was cooked perfectly and the Peanut Butter Pie was the perfect ending to go with our espresso martini. The GM, Nick, stopped by several times and you could tell that he truly cared about his guest’s experience and his staff. This restaurant has everything we were looking for on our special occasion and we would most certainly find any reason to revisit such a fun place.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the restaurant team for the exceptional service and delectable food. Our waiter, Greg and the manager, Nick went above and beyond to make our dinner truly memorable. Kudos to the entire staff for making our special evening even more special! Just an over the top experience from the Oak Steak House!

My husband and I went there on a weeknight to celebrate his promotion. We made a reservation that required a deposit, but the restaurant is small so I get that it is important. The atmosphere is very cool, staff was lovely to interact with-the service was the best part of our dinner there. I ordered a local fish and my husband got a New York Strip. Both entrees were cooked well, but overpriced even for a Steakhouse (Compared to the same steaks at Capital Grille/Bonefish Grill). The most disappointing item on their menu were the sides-we expected to have more than 5 options with some of them being vegetables, but their starter and side selection was incredibly small. Drinks were amazing, excellent selection of spirits, beer and wine. The dessert options were expensive so we didn’t order anything else. I don’t know if I would go here again, parking was not very fun-I would expect a restaurant of this price point to have valet-but I won’t hold that against them!
Rene V — Google review
Awesome first experience for my husband's birthday. Made a reservation and staff reached out in advance to ask about his interests, and there was a gift waiting at the table! Really went the extra mile, top notch hospitality. Cocktails were delicious, love their twist on a Caesar salad, and both our steaks were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Highly recommend for a special occasion!

Crab house
Raleigh Crab House is a local seafood restaurant with Cajun-style cuisine. They serve fresh and diverse seafood platters that are sure to please. The food and service are amazing, and the prices are worth it. If you're looking for a special night out, this is the place to go!
First time visiting this place and I enjoyed every bit of my seafood boil. The flavor was just right, not too spicy nor too salty like I've experienced at other similar places. I will definitely visit again. The server was helpful and did an amazing job taking our order, answering our questions and checking up on us periodically.
MJ G — Google review
Our first time, the food and drinks were delicious. It is a popular place by the crowd. My suggestion is to go early, be prepared to wait an hour plus between getting seated and your food. Our waiter was not so attentive, but everyone was very pleasant. Will go again.
Yvonne F — Google review
This was everything I thought it would be having been to several other crab houses. However, in comparison, the food and seasonings were not well blended before the bag hit the table this my first few bites were oddly bland. I had to work to get some flavor mixed onto my food. Once properly blended, the taste was much improved. Customer service was lackluster. We kept having to flag someone down when we needed something although we had a dedicated server. Nothing exciting about the atmosphere, unless you count the entertaining graffiti all over the walls. I do favor the Cary crab house over this one. One nice surprise was having dessert options which sound like they might be tasty. I skipped trying g one to avoid any potential disappointment.

Food was really good, I was a bit skeptical but they definitely proved me wrong. Everyone in our party of 12 enjoyed their food with no complaints at all. The wait was a bit but I assume it was because we had a large party which was fine. Also, Kaleb our waiter was great! Very patient and attentive but wasn’t a bother, tip him good he deserves it! Manager was great and accommodating as well! Will definitely be back!

Food tastes amazingly good! Everything is fresh and delicious. The crab is very fresh, as well as all other seafood. Also like the crawfish, it doesn’t taste like the badly frozen ones, it tastes very fresh, can feel the taste of the sea. The only thing I wish they could have is napkins and utensils. I received no utensils in my takeout order at all!

Seafood restaurant
Mariscos Nayarit is a vibrant and family-friendly Mexican restaurant known for its generous seafood plates and flavorful margaritas. The atmosphere is lively, with live music adding to the energetic vibes. Customers praise the delicious food and excellent customer service, despite slightly higher prices. The portions are described as huge, with dishes like enchiladas and flautas receiving high praise. Visitors appreciate the knowledgeable staff who make dining experiences enjoyable, making it a great spot for special occasions or casual gatherings alike.
It was so good I forgot to take pictures of my food .-. I took a picture of the dessert though. Anyways, the food was AMAZING. We ordered aguachile verde, Louisiana crab boil, chicken Alfredo, and the Camarones San Blas. The aguachile verde had the right amount of lime and spice 10/10. The chicken Alfredo was very creamy honestly better than Olive Garden 10/10. Very flavorful. Louisiana crab boil did not disappoint. The sausage was thin and full of flavor, I think that was my favorite part. The whole thing I give a 9/10. It was missing something but I can’t put my finger on it. The camarones San blas sauce was good and spicy level was top tier 10/10. We also ordered a fried ice cream 5/10 but I’m not surprised they are not a dessert place, they are a seafood place. Overall, this place is amazing. I will be coming back to try more stuff and I cannot wait! 😊

A recent visit to Mariscos Nayarit known for its Mexican seafood dishes revealed a dynamic space brimming with energy, though not without its eccentricities. Patrons seeking a lively atmosphere, particularly on Sundays and select evenings when live bachata and salsa music takes center stage, will find it here in spades. Culinary Observations The food, in general, is commendably good, with portions generous enough to satisfy the heartiest appetites. A standout from a previous visit, the bacon-wrapped meatloaf paired with a vegetable blend, proved to be a particularly satisfying offering. However, consistency appears to be a minor challenge across the menu. The fried chicken sandwich, for instance, was unfortunately overly crunchy, detracting from the textural balance one hopes for. Similarly, the fried jambalaya was found to be notably dry and lacking in flavor, a dish perhaps best avoided. Libations and Ambiance The beverage program offers a curious duality. While the pitcher drinks regrettably fail to deliver a discernible "buzz," the margarita offerings are a redeeming feature, lauded for their uniqueness and delicious complexity. These inventive concoctions, alongside the appealing artwork adorning the space, serve as significant draws. However, the internal soundscape can be problematic; the music inside frequently registers as excessively loud, potentially overwhelming conversation and diminishing the overall comfort level for some diners. Service Notes Service, while not entirely without merit, was observed to be somewhat lacking on occasion. This, combined with the volume, presents a minor hurdle to what could otherwise be a more polished experience. In conclusion, this establishment caters to a specific clientele: those who prioritize a lively, music-filled environment and substantial, generally palatable food, while accepting certain trade-offs in terms of service consistency and noise levels. The truly exceptional margaritas and the infectious energy of the live music are undoubtedly the stars of the show. This establishment presents a compelling, albeit somewhat uneven, dining and entertainment proposition. It thrives as a vibrant hub, particularly for enthusiasts of Latin music, with consistent live performances of bachata and salsa on Sundays, and occasionally throughout the week. The generosity of their food portions is notable, ensuring patrons leave thoroughly sated. From a culinary perspective, the kitchen demonstrates moments of genuine excellence. My prior visit highlighted the bacon-wrapped meatloaf and accompanying vegetable blend as particularly satisfying dishes, exhibiting a thoughtful balance of flavors and textures. The establishment's commitment to visual appeal is also evident; the artwork adorning the space is appealing, creating an engaging ambiance. Furthermore, their margarita offerings are notably unique and delicious, serving as a significant draw and a commendable highlight. However, the experience is not without its considerable caveats. The volume of the live music inside can be excessively loud, potentially detracting from comfortable conversation and dining. While the food is generally good, consistency appears to be a challenge. The fried chicken sandwich, for instance, suffered from an overly crunchy texture, which proved distracting. Similarly, the fried jambalaya was found to be dry and lacking in flavor, a significant miss. Service, at times, also appeared somewhat lacking, indicating room for improvement in attentiveness and efficiency. Lastly, those seeking a potent libation from the pitcher drinks may find them underpowered, failing to deliver the expected "buzz." In conclusion, this venue offers a lively atmosphere and commendable aspects, particularly its live music, generus portions, and exceptional margaritas. However, patrons should approach with an understanding of its potential shortcomings in consistent food execution, service, and sound levels.

Lovely ambience! We tried a variety of starters and everything tasted great—especially the tawa fish fry and tandoori prawns, which were outstanding. The chicken malai tandoori was a bit on the dry side, but the biryanis(Hyderabadi and seeraga sambha)more than made up for it—they were delicious. Special thanks to our waiter, Stalin, who gave excellent recommendations and took great care of us. Definitely coming back!

It was my first time trying an Indian cuisine. I certainly was surprised on how delicious it is. I ordered a chicken combo, which had rice with chicken, a very delicious sauce with small pieces of chicken as well, and fried mild spicy chicken. All of these were certainly delicious. The bread, which I think is called ‘NAAN’, in combination with the chicken sauce tastes really good too. At the end, I received a delicious desert that was something like yogurt and mango. This was a gift from the restaurant because it was my first time at an Indian restaurant. 100% recommended! Add it to your must-go list!

Honestly this is one of the best Indian restaurants ever. They had really good service because me and my fam came at around 8:45 pm and even though the kid’s noodles took a long time to make they still made it for my son. Also they were really nice and let my son take 4 lollypops. Also the food tasted SO good; I cant even describe the taste! Also the decor looked really good and I was actually able to figure out whether the pepper was pepper or salt because the container had the name on it. (They gave us free sweets for Diwali!) so its a 10 out of 10.

I just stumbled upon a fantastic black-owned gem—Jack’s Seafood and Soul Food. I decided to try the catfish, fried chicken, and macaroni and cheese, and I also grabbed a couple slices of honey bun cake. Let me just say, you can probably guess how good it was, but I promise you won’t be disappointed! The service was excellent, and the food? Even better. If you’re in the area, definitely stop by and treat yourself to a taste of what they’re serving!

I ordered the catfish and shrimp combo with Mac and cheese and cole slaw. I also got a slice of the M and M cake. The catfish was cooked perfectly and the shrimp were delicious. The breading for the shrimp was seasoned. I wish I knew what breaker they used because it was perfect on the shrimp. I liked that the catfish breeder was different than the shrimp and it didn't take away from the flavor of the catfish. The breading was a good ratio not to much breading used. The baked Mac and cheese was so good and I got some edge pieces that were so yummy. I got so much food, I was not able to eat all for lunch. So I guess I have dinner for tonight. All the staff are friendly, welcoming, and so helpful. If you like seafood you need to stop at this spot. No tables only counter.

I love Jack’s fried chicken- when it’s fresh. I just placed a large order for my -individual plates. I called it in hoping that a personal touch would assure the food would be fresh. I even specified that I wanted everything fresh. But when I got back to the church, the fried chicken had one piece that was fresh and the other piece was clearly day old reheated. It was dried out. It is is hit or miss at Jack’s Seafood-unfortunately.

I Decided to order for old times sake. My father and mother use to frequent this restaurant when I was a child. The flavor was one that I have sadly outgrown. Over salty and under flavored. It’s a basic seasoning 🧂 combo that can ruin the taste of the protein. Relying on salt and pepper, with too much salt ruins the whole flavor. The pork chops and flounder were also dry. Fried too long sadly. Collard greens tasted a bit like canned spinach and cabbage was bland. The fried shrimp were decent. The rice was slightly undercooked. The gravy had a premade under tone taste 👅. The hush puppy rings were just okay…The spirit of this place is not the same. The love of flavor and cooking is missing.

My first time here, definitely not my last. The customer service was great. The ladies were very nice and helpful. The fish was fried to perfection. It was sooo good and crispy. The smothered chicken was good. Only downside was gravy didn’t have any seasoning it was kind of bland.

Poke Bros. in Raleigh, North Carolina offers a delightful dining experience with its fresh and colorful poke bowls. Despite some cleanliness concerns, the food is highly praised for its freshness and quality. The establishment provides quick service, clean surroundings, and generous portions at reasonable prices. Customers particularly appreciate the build-your-own bowl option and the opportunity to earn a free bowl through their punch card system. With friendly service and ample parking available, this spot is recommended for those seeking delicious poke options in the area.
Swung by Pocket Bros today kinda spontaneously. First thing I really liked — they have the menu posted right on the front window, so you can check it out while standing outside. Makes it super easy to know what you want before even walking in, so you don’t hold up the line. The place was pretty empty when I went, but it was around noon on a Saturday, so maybe just early. I ordered their biggest bowl — the one with a mix of everything. I don’t remember the exact name, but it had salmon, tuna, and I asked them to add mango too. Honestly, it was amazing. Super fresh, really tasty. Fish, veggies, fruit — everything was top quality. Highly recommend. If I’m ever in Cary again, I’ll definitely stop by. Great food and solid service.

The food was 5 stars for sure. So fresh and so good!! 2 stars for the unfriendly woman who served me and 2 stars for cleanliness of the way it looked when I walked in. Front doors and floors were filthy. I was skeptic about eating from there but the woman had on gloves and the food was out on display and looked really fresh and colorful. Glad I tried because I loved it. Hope to go back often. Hope it’s just a little cleaner and staff is a little more friendly next time.

Excellent fresh made poke bowls. I love the build your own bowls! Fast, friendly service and reasonable prices. Free parking. Google Maps didn't take me to the right place though. It's right in between Hibachi 101 and the Navy Federal Credit Union.

We love Poke Bros! The seafood is high quality, all the ingredients for that matter. If one bowl were made into several sushi roles it would be well over what you pay here. The portions are generous for the price and quality. We love the spicy tuna. 10/10 for poke bros!

This was a top tier poke bowl! Excellent portions with a nice variety of mix-in and sauce options. Everything tasted fresh and they have an easy to use online ordering system as well. 10/10, highly recommended.

Poke bros is the best poke bowl spot I know! My friend in SC showed me this place, and I'm grateful to have one in NC. If you like sushi or poke this place will not disappoint, super fresh, healthy, and tasty! For protein fanatics I highly recommend double meat of any kind.

I come here OFTEN to eat. The service is quick, the food is fresh and the establishment is always clean. I recommend the High Tide, but there are plenty of chances to try a combination of bowls. They offer a punch card for every bowl you purchase and after so many purchases you get a free bowl. Give it a try!

I stopped in completely clueless about ramen as a first timer. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen with Shrimp per the owner Andy’s recommendation. I asked him to give me a to-go container, but told him I would eat some in the restaurant. It was so delicious and feeling that I ate the entire bowl and it never made it to-go. I highly recommend this place!

French restaurant
East End Bistrot is a new addition to Raleigh's dining scene, offering a French-inspired fine-dining experience. The restaurant, owned by Giorgios Bakatsias, features an upscale menu with a variety of steak cuts, seafood options like Dover sole and lobster roll, and creative cocktails. The decor is described as fun, light, and whimsical, adding to the overall dining experience. Guests praise the friendly staff and delicious food options such as Crab Puff and Filet Mignon.
I entered East End Bistrot with a bit of skepticism, as I wasn’t sure I wanted to pay Michelin-star-level prices for a place in Raleigh that doesn’t yet hold that title. But after experiencing the restaurant, I can confidently say the price is more than fair given the exceptional food and service. From the first bite to the last, the quality is outstanding, and it’s evident that every dish is carefully crafted with expertise. The caviar service is a highlight—absolutely classic and executed to perfection. The wine pairing is also worth every penny. The sommelier, Gregory Martinez, is an absolute gem. His knowledge of wine is vast, but it's his personality that truly makes the experience unforgettable. Not only is he incredibly personable and hilarious, but he’s also a master at pairing wines in a way that elevates the meal. Gregory is the heartbeat of this restaurant, and honestly, he’s the main reason we keep coming back. I joke that I want to be his friend, but truly, he makes each visit feel like an experience rather than just a meal. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend checking it out—it’s an experience that’s definitely worth the price.

Although we already had high expectations coming here, we were amazed by how great of a dining experience we had. Chef William truly is an artist and master of his craft. Each dish (and we tried a bunch!) could be it's own main event and it all delivered on the tasting experience. The staff was all wonderful- Friendly, attentive and engaging from the moment we walked in until the very end. This is our new favorite place (sorry Crawford & Son). Don't skip on the cheesecake!

East End Bistrot is pure magic. We had the most incredible evening on the Champagne Terrace with sparkling cocktails in hand, golden light, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel like you have slipped away to Paris. The ambiance was flawless and every detail felt thoughtful and transportive. Executive Chef William D’Auvray has refreshed the menu to make East End just as inviting on a weeknight as it is for a celebration. The Champagne Terrace plates, the expanded wine by the glass list, and the French inspired classics with a modern touch make every bite feel both elevated and approachable. What made the night even more special is how kindly the team worked with my vegan restrictions and dairy allergy. Every detail was considered, and I felt fully included in the dining experience without compromise. Raleigh is lucky to have such a destination and we cannot wait to go back.

I had a wonderful time at East End Bistrot! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the hostesses and the beautiful architecture. We were sat and immediately greeted by Matt, our server who was extremely caring and knowledgeable of the menu. The appetizers, mains and dessert were ALL amazing and presented beautifully. Throughout the service we were consistently checked up on by the server assistants, our server and the manager. I can’t explain how much the staff really cares for the people who dine here. Every part of this dinner was intimate and catered to us individually. I would recommend this place to anyone, and I will for sure be coming back!! Thanks East End team💗

We came here to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and as someone who appreciates high-quality food and frequently dines at Michelin-starred restaurants, I was pleasantly surprised. Given how challenging it can be for the kitchen and staff to handle the pressure of such a busy occasion, they did an exceptional job. The food was outstanding and arrived very quickly. The oysters, tuna crudo, and steak were all delicious, and the red wine by the glass was excellent. Beyond the food, we were truly impressed by how well everything was organized—the attention to detail was remarkable. Our server, Liza, was amazing and took wonderful care of our table. A big thank you to the entire team for an incredible experience! We had an amazing time and will definitely be coming back.

Mains were excellent, but all other courses were disappointing - not worth the price and I wouldn't return. The fish cru appetizer was fine but nothing special and the lamb dumplings smelled great, but the dough was chewy and the flavor nothing special. The ice cream on the apple tart dessert was great but the tart itself was mediocre with a hard-to-chew crust and basic flavors. The bread was good, but oddly there was under-salted warm whipped butter and not the usual French butter I would have expected. The mains were actually extremely flavorful and well cooked with succulent sauces (steak and pheasant), but still not worth returning to such a pricey restaurant that can't execute well on all dishes.

The first time we came to East End Bistrot was for my birthday in May. From the reservation desk with the host and throughout the entire experience we were well taken care of. After the amazing first experience, the bar was set high. We were concerned that perfection couldn't be replicated and may be let down the second time. We were ABSOLUTELY wrong. We were greeted this week with a welcome back by the same friendly host and GM of the restaurant! Truly a WOW moment to be remembered. East End has officially been crowned as our favorite restaurant in Raleigh, and I consider myself a foodie. The filet is amazingly tender, the steak au povire is great, the gratin dauphinois is otherwordly, and the brussels are a treat! All the cocktails we've gotten have been very flavorful and complex. Our servers have provided excellent recommendations, been attentive, and delivered impeccable service. Everyone truly works together like an orchestra at this restaurant, adding their own unique impressions to create an unforgettable experience. Thank you to everyone that is involved in making this GEM of a restaurant possible. We already look forward to our next visit! TL;DR: Don't think about it, just go! You won't be disappointed!

Incredible experience. Huge shout out to the chef first and foremost, for being present and assuring top quality of every dish. There was not a thing that wasn't perfectly cooked or seasoned. Everything we ordered, which was about 8 things, was perfect. Front of house matched the kitchen on every level with top class hospitality and knowledge of the menu. Our server, (I'm so sorry for forgetting her name..glasses/piercing, with trainee who was also amazing) and the girl who seating us (hostess, or perhaps manager) made us feel like VIP. Greatly appreciate the amazing night, team. Don't know why it took us this long to try this spot. We will definitely be recommending and be back ourselves with friends, as we now know this is one of the best restaurants in the area.

Their catering services are highly recommended, with a diverse spread of charcuterie, assorted cheese, crackers, fruits, meats, and more. Known for their kindness and flexibility as a woman and minority-owned business, Pineapple Sol delivers delicious food with extraordinary presentation.
Halal-friendly, SUPER fresh, and the correct temperature when it the food hits your table. Every plate that passed me, gave me another reason to come back. The plating and presentation was artwork. The service. 10 out of 10. Everyone was calm, respectful and friendly. We were able to try a chocolate covered strawberries. The atmosphere is vibrant and modern, with sprinkles of joy and happiness.

We had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The service was amazing and our server was so kind and helpful in recommending what to try. I had the Malibu sandwich and it was incredibly satisfying. It’s so hard to find halal food like this, especially with American favorites like chicken and waffles and turkey bacon sandwiches. The owner even came out to greet us and was so warm and welcoming. We truly felt appreciated as customers. Highly recommend and definitely coming back!

We enjoy breakfast/brunch here. There was a line to order on Saturday about 11am, not surprising. It took a while for the line to move but after ordering, our food came out pretty quick. I’ve enjoyed the Philly cheesesteak before - very tasty. Today I got the build your own breakfast with home fries, turkey bacon and a pancake. Excellent as well! Would recommend.

The aesthetics of Pineapple Sol Cafe are floral and very pleasing to the eyes. The food was delicious! I highly recommend the breakfast bowl or the Philly cheesesteak! The only thing preventing this from being a 5-star review is the service, but I understand it was a tad busy. At times, it seems like our servers were a little nervous serving us. Maybe this is the first time serving. I would definitely come again.

We had a wonderful experience at Pineapple Sol! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, perfect for enjoying a special outing. We were especially touched by the kind gesture of a complimentary slice of cheesecake with strawberries to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. It made the evening feel extra special and memorable. Thank you for the warm hospitality—we’ll definitely be back!

Pineapple Sol is hands down the most beautiful spot I’ve visited recently in North Carolina! Everything about this place is perfect .. from the peaceful, cozy atmosphere to the beautifully presented food. It’s 100% halal, which made my experience even more special. The food is fresh, flavorful, and made with so much love. The coffee is excellent, and the attention to detail in everything they do is impressive. What truly sets this place apart is the owner so kind, warm, and welcoming. You can feel the positive energy as soon as you walk in. If you’re looking for amazing halal food, great coffee, and genuine hospitality, Pineapple Sol is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back again soon!

Nestled away as a hidden gem, FatBoys Kitchen has quickly become a favorite for many who venture in. On my first visit, I indulged in their mouthwatering burger topped with mac and cheese, crispy bacon, and onion rings—an absolute delight! The shrimp po'boy was equally impressive with perfectly seasoned shrimp that left me craving more. Each burger and sandwich comes with fries, which is clearly noted on the menu.
Hidden gem. I don’t know what happened with the other bad reviews but I absolutely love this place. Today was my first time trying, we got the burger with the Mac& cheese, bacon & onion rings on it and omg It was so good!!! All burgers and sandwiches come with fries which It clearly states on the menu so not sure what the confusion is in other reviews lol. We also got the shrimp poboy, those shrimp were perfect seasoned. My Long Island was great too. Definitely recommend

I was told that this place had good food. This was my first experience and more than likely it will be my last. I had my fiance order us something from the menu. I ordered the fish poboy sandwich (which I didn’t know it came with fries) and a side order of tots. My fiance ordered an oyster poboy. When we received our food it was like room temperature and it was cooked in old grease. The fries I couldn’t eat because of the taste and most of them were hard , but I did finish the sandwich and now I feel sick to my stomach. Oh the tartar sauce they put in the bag tastes like it had been sitting on the shelf too long. FIFO (First In, First Out), rotate your product and change your grease. Last time for me

Nice spacious restaurant. We were not greeted on arrival and had to figure out where we had to go, which was to the back counter, to order. But our hostess/waitress was nice. The wait for the food was not long, and it was good. The choice of music that the waitress played was good. Great music selection. We will definitely return! Thank you for good food and good service.

Atmosphere was amazing. Food, not so much. I got a Philly Cheesesteak, and I wasn't disappointed with it. Right amount of everything. It was the sides that let me down. The lemon pepper corn was overboiled and kinda bland. The lemon pepper was definitely fighting a losing battle. The mac and cheese looked phenomenal! Cheesy, well seasoned, but the noodles disintegrated, which made it not worth it. I'm not even gonna get started on the many flavored lemonades, cuz to charge that kinda$ for a powdered drink mix is highway robbery. But the Atmosphere made up for what the food was lacking. Tables were clean, floor not sticky, music not overwhelmingly loud, and even tho I saw fish, chicken, fries, and other sides being ordered, there was no heavy greasy smell, which really won me over. Will I come back? Prolly not, but it was a nice experience.

The food wasn't good at all. The lady that took our order needs training took forever to place. 8 oz drink is so nasty $4 😩ridiculous people hyping this place up. Ordered hot wings fried wings with plain hotsauce on it. There is nothing special about that. Shrimp was just nasty. How can you mess up with shrimp? Do you see $50 worth hell no.
Dee D — Google review
The food is too expensive for what you get, The food was okay. I've had better. Drinks have no alcohol. We had to order a shot to get more alcohol in our drinks total.
Acquenetta D — Google review
We came here fully prepared to be served good food! I was still excited even knowing I spent 30$ on a seafood boil (which I believe isn’t a bad price). After cracking my first two legs, the taste of the legs taste more and more weird. The texture felt rubbery. And everything just tasted like a weird fishy taste. After three crab legs I was done. My mom gave me her burger but to my surprise , it was because it tasted weird as well😭. The wings were good tho, I didn’t try but my sister dogged the whole container( the cook kept making our food to go). I’d hate for someone to waste money , promise there better places. No hate to the workers, very nice women took our order. But after seeing the reviews and everyone getting a stank eye , I didn’t bother to complain. Just hoping the food quality becomes better in the years if I decide to try it again because the atmosphere was nice to go w friends.

Friday, September 26 I went to a MC greeting meet and brought my daughter. Her food order. Food was horrible. They got her order wrong. It took her 45 minutes to get her food and she had to go up there cause the buzzer never went off. Needless to say the dogs ate that plate. my opinion probably wasn’t fair to the dogs. I ordered my food I waited ,waited they didn’t have a buzzer if they would walk out and bring my food to me . Ever a 45 minute wait I walked up.to countet. Young girl They told me she’s like we don’t know when your order is gonna be ready . Has she proceeded to walk to the food holding area, and there was my food. Received my food and then was told they have no napkins. they don’t have no Friday night with a pack crowd. Clearly, this is poor poor planning on management because the place is busy on Fridays. And are within our group of people they were saying how the drinks were no extremely watered down and the frozen drinks is like you could’ve had a better buzz off a Slurpee 711. Recommendation: Order a bottle of beer they can’t mess that up. It didn’t come from them. The staff is the polite working environment is clearly understaffed and overworked staff for such a biggest crowd that was present. We have bike events there often. I’ll go to the bike event to support them, but I would never order any food again. We spent almost $60 we could never get back Clearly, this is one of those places that is more about quantity and not quality.

The Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel is a luxurious hotel with great location in the middle of the nightlife district and shopping area. The rooms are modern and have all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. In addition, there are two restaurants and fitness center on-site.
For a perfect stay in Raleigh, I highly recommend this hotel I stayed at in the North Hills area. The location was ideal, putting us within easy reach of many upscale restaurants and shops. We even enjoyed visiting the RH Rooftop Restaurant, which was very close by. The hotel itself offered excellent service, with a responsive and reasonably priced valet, and a very helpful front desk. Our room was well-appointed, ensuring a relaxing and fun experience. I highly recommend considering a hotel in this area for your trip!

It’s a rarity that I’ve encountered a perfect hotel but this was the one. The room was immaculate. Every part of the hotel was clean, even the bathrooms in the lobby. There was valet parking. The attendant is the kindest guy you will ever meet! We purchased a room that included the breakfast. Usually we find that hotel breakfast is subpar but we decided to take the risk. Their breakfast was amazing. There was real scrambled eggs on the buffet area, crispy bacon, and a full spread of fruits and cereal. Lastly, the hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants and stores, including Target, Five Guys, Chic Fila, etc. I definitely recommend this hotel!

My wife and I stayed here from out of town for a concert. The hotel was clean and tidy as was our room. Everyone we encountered was very nice and accommodating. We in fact misplaced an item at the hotel only to discover the fact long after we made it home. We alerted the staff and they were helpful in finding it and shipping it back to us. We are extremely grateful. We would definitely stay here again on future trips to Raleigh.

Brodeto is a restaurant that offers an amazing dining experience with exceptional service. The warm and fluffy focaccia with the perfect amount of olive oil and the perfectly cooked Spaghetti al Nero with sea urchin butter are just some of the highlights on their menu. The staff is friendly, attentive, and goes the extra mile to ensure a top-notch dining experience. The interior design is gorgeous and very clean, making it a great place for a special occasion or casual dining.
I’m writing this probably 2 months after eating here and it is probably one of the top three meals I’ve had in my life! Easy 5/5 stars across the board. The food is absolutely incredible, from the starters, to the bread, to the drinks, to the sides and mains! Taryn, the bartender was awesome, patient, and her recommendations were spot on. Give her a raise? :) We want to come back soon, and are planning a double date with some friends who will definitely enjoy it as a special treat! Honestly, I will say the main that we got, the braised beef (can’t recall exact name but see picture), was not my favorite, but my wife loved it. Looking forward to trying something else new soon!

Loved the vibe at Brodeto the glowing bar alone makes it worth a visit. The menu is seafood-forward and super creative. Plates are definitely on the smaller side for the price, but the flavors make up for it. Cocktails were balanced and fun, and the service was great. Perfect spot for a date night or when you’re craving something a little different in Raleigh. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

My husband and I finally made it here for dinner and were very happy with the overall experience. For me, personally, I wasn't really excited about the idea of this place solely because of my dietary restrictions. As someone with Celiac Disease (have to eat gluten free) and following a vegan dietary pattern, I didn't see one thing on the menu that even looked like it would fall into something I could eat. But.... The chefs here are actually real chefs! They are artists who seemed to get excited to come up with something new and stretch their creative skills. Now... This is my kind of chef! Chef Connor and his team were phenomenal! I was able to get the Tomato Salad to start and they just modified it to make it gluten free and vegan. The basil oil they use on it not only holds it's own but is a culinary delight. I'm going to have to start making it here at home for my own dishes, it's that good! I ordered the Rigatoni for my main, which they were able to make gluten free and vegan as well. It was chock full of fresh summer zucchini, which was a very nice touch. The sauce there used on it was also extremely robust and flavorful. To our surprise, they brought us each out a dish in between the stater and the main to try. They just decided to whip something up on the fly and it was magical! Mine was a zucchini base, but it had some sort of chili sauce with it that was not only spicy and smoky but just the right amount of salty as well. There was also a hint of sweetness to it, and the flavor combination just really made the dish phenomenal. I asked them if it was on the menu and they told me it wasn't. I told them it DEFINITELY needs to be! I don't want to discount out wonderful server, Amber. She was not only very friendly and attentive, but knew what they could do for me from a culinary aspect for my starter and main almost immediately. She did confirm with the kitchen prior to putting the order in though, which I greatly appreciated. If you decide to dine here, I highly suggest asking for Amber, as she was wonderful! She also helped me with a drink selection, after Jordan (the head of all beverages for Crawford) had greeted us initially and gotten our first drink. Both of them were very spot on when it came to choosing the right drinks for my specific preferences. Overall, I can't speak highly enough about this place. Yes, it's a pricier dining experience. So, for us, this would be a very rare treat. But since our anniversary is next week, we just treated ourselves to this experience to celebrate. If you haven't had the opportunity to check this place out yet, you really must give it a try. If they don't have anything on the menu that looks like you'll be able to eat it, just let them know and I'm sure they'll come up with some delicious creations just for you.

Loved Brodeto so much on our first visit that we brought visiting friends back to show off food in the Triangle. The space is gorgeous. Great for date night or a small celebration. The staff is always warm and kind. Highlights: amberjack crudo (bright, silky, omfg), scallops (my fav), focaccia (perfectly baked), and the little gem Caesar. For mains we shared the chicken-liver agnolotti (shockingly hard yes), rabbit orecchiette (hearty, cozy), linguine al nero with sea urchin (yeees), plus the whole branzino (perfectly cooked). Rounded out with the baby carrots and kabocha polenta sides. There’s a lot of natural light during the day and at night it shifts into a cozy-lit vibe. It’s also in a cute area for a post dinner stroll :)

Service was awesome. Shoutout to Luke our server! Since we walked through the door we were well taken care of. Starters were focaccia, whipped ricotta, oysters and scallops. Pastas we had tortellini, rotolo and gnocchi. Main entrees we had the brodeto with octopus and pork chops. They threw in an extra order of ribs. Deserts were ricotta cheesecake, pumpkin and vanilla gelato mixed and chocolate mousse. Highlights were scallops, gnocchi, brodeto and the mousse.

All dishes were delicious and well prepared. We gave our entire order at the beginning and were served the crudo prior to receiving our bottle of wine which did not come in a chiller. The tables are TIGHT! I felt like for the servers to take orders they had to stand awkwardly between the two tops.

Our 3rd visit to Brodeto, and our 3rd time we were impressed! Our party of 5 ordered lots of different dishes and we loved them all. So fresh, inventive and delicious! The scallops were probably the best I've had - so flavorful & delectable! The Little Gem Hearts salad is our favorite salad anywhere. The Linguine al Nero was incredible! We also got (but not pictured) the polenta, gnocchi and Croatian Pogaca bread and all three were delicious. Everything was. It was a fantastic way to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary with our family and we are all looking forward to going again! Niko (Nikko, Nico?), our server, was so fantastic. Super friendly and nice! Delicious! We’ve been wanting to try Brodeto for a while but live in Charlotte. Finally got to try all the beautiful dishes I’ve been stalking on their Instagram. We order a little too much but everything was wonderful. We started with Croatian bread, the tuna crudo (omg get this) and the potato octopus salad (the portion was HUGE). For our main dishes we order the octopus with lentils and a pasta dish. All wonderful. We somehow managed dessert - vanilla gelato and the panna cotta w rhubarb granita. The service was solid and the atmosphere was light and simple and shockingly it wasn’t too loud (like most restaurants are these days) even though it was a full house. We will definitely be back!

Non-profit organization
The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is a vital lifeline for those grappling with food insecurity across its expansive 34-county service area. Despite distributing record amounts of food, the demand continues to rise, with partner agencies reporting a staggering 35% increase in need compared to pre-pandemic levels. Currently, over 560,000 individuals are facing hunger—an alarming increase of nearly 111,000 from last year.
I donate to this food bank once or twice a month, and it’s always a great experience. The staff are kind and grateful, and the process is super easy. It feels good knowing even a small donation can make a big difference. Please consider giving to your local food bank, every bit helps!

It's not a big experience working with them to help those that don't have enough food to make a happening for themselves and for their children they're a great help to our community our churches and our lives in Raleigh we all should be praying for them to work there because they love their jobs.

Volunteered here for the first time on July 16, 2025. These people are simply doing God’s work on earth. It’s so beautiful to see how an organization like this can make such a major impact to areas considered to be food deserts within my own state. The impact of donating your time is invaluable, I’m hooked on volunteering here, and cannot wait to return to work alongside so many others that are just as passionate. Thank you Food Bank for all you do to serve each community! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾

Asian restaurant
Chuan Cafe, located on New Bern Avenue, offers a bright and open atmosphere for in-person dining. The restaurant is known for its authentic Szechuan-style Chinese cuisine and other Asian-inspired dishes. Popular menu items include Szechuan chili wontons, dan dan noodles, sesame chicken, and super-spicy mapo tofu. Additionally, Chuan Cafe is praised for its delectable dim sum and flavorful noodle dishes.
As an Asian and a big foodie, I can vouch that this is BEST SZECHUAN in the Triangle!!! Def more a hole in the wall vibe and admittedly not located in the best part of Raleigh but regardless, we like to go in to eat there so the food is as fresh as possible. The staff is very nice. Our favorite go to dishes: - Spicy Chongqing Chicken (it’s not actually that spicy) - Dan Dan Noodles - Bamboo Flounder Fish - Twice Cooked Pork Belly - Dry Fried String Beans - Spicy Hot Pot It’s delicious. You won’t be disappointed!

Interesting experience, the food was very good although for chinese food, it was fairly expensive. When ordering takeout, I've gotten a ton of Chinese food for $50 bucks, but here it was just two entries, one drink, no fried rice, no appetizers, or any extras. The place is bare bones, but seemed clean and we got our food quick. We were the only people in the restaurant and one other table came in after us. It was early on a Saturday night. We were happy with the food which is most important.
Jim V — Google review
Finally another authentic Chinese food! Ordered takeout so no idea about dine in experience. Their fried chicken is absolutely top and the braised beef is godsend. They are on the pricey side but the portion and taste well worth the price. Can’t wait to go back to try other food!
Teresa H — Google review
Food is good. Great singapore noodles finally! They are authentic too. Dry fried broccoli is also tasty. They are flexible if you want to substitute your protein for tofu as well. More expensive than your typical Chinese, but the quality is also better.
Des G — Google review
The food - Unfortunately, it wasn’t great for me. The sauce on the General Tso chicken tasted like it was from a bottle and the fried rice was really bland. I did take my food to go so maybe that was the disconnect. The service - The lady behind the register is a sweetheart. She’s honest, straightforward, and caring in her own way. If there’s any reason to go, it’s her. The Atmosphere - Quaint location on the inside. Don’t judge it by the way it looks on the outside as it sits in a pseudo-hood location. Not a lot of noise and it could be romantic given the right lighting.
Kyle J — Google review
We went to this place for lunch and it was great!! The service was prompt and the restaurant was nice and clean! I love Chinese food and I was looking for a Din Tai Fung (my comfort food) duplicate here in NC because that place is only on the West Coast and this place is pretty spot on! My absolute favorite is the wonton in chili oil and the steamed chicken slices are a close second. I would get everything again except for the Dan Dan noodles. They were okay, but not particularly my preference bc of the taste that remains in the back of my throat after eating it (from the oil/sauce) so I’ll try another one of their noodle dishes! Highly recommend this place and will be back!

We ordered delivery from this restaurant. We were very pleased with the quality of the food and the rapid delivery. We ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Stir Fry Chicken and Mushrooms, Vegetable Fried Rice, and Pork Buns. There was a large portion of chicken as well as mushrooms in the Chicken and Mushroom stir fry. The food was tasty and well seasoned. The portion size was large enough to have plenty of leftovers for tomorrow. We have been looking for a "go-to" Chinese food restaurant. I think we have found it!
Stephanie T — Google review
Fantastic new Chinese place with a focus on Sichuan flavors. I had the fish in hot chili oil and it was perfectly seasoned and very generous portions. They also have classic Chinese-American dishes like Orange Chicken so families with picky eaters can enjoy this place as well. The interior of the restaurant is also well appointed and clean with a modern feel.

China Star is a Chinese restaurant located at 6109 Rock Quarry Road Ste 110 in Raleigh, North Carolina. It offers a variety of Chinese and seafood dishes with an average rating of 3.8 out of 5 based on 32 reviews. Customers have praised the consistent and flavorful food, as well as the cleanliness of the restaurant. The menu includes options for catering, take-out, dine-in, and delivery through services like DoorDash since 2018.
I love this place. My family and I have gone here for years. I have had catering, take-out, dine-in, and even door dash from this place since 2018! They have the same cook every time, so the food is always consistent and super flavorful. Not to mention, the restaurant is extremely clean. I have yet to find anywhere else as clean as this place. To my family and me, cleanliness is a top priority, so we are glad to have found this gem! I will admit that I have seen price changes, but with the recent spike in inflation, it's to be expected. Like please name one place that has not had a price increase. In my opinion, I will always rather spend my money at any place that has the quality and is worth the price. I have also included pictures of my orders from my past few visits!

Great food not to americanized with seasoning and flavor. I have eaten here a couple times and every time I order Chinese food (not wings or things Americans think are Chinese) I have been left satisfied and impressed 20x better than taste of china which is very americanized.

The sesame tofu was inedible and the fried rice was SO CHEWY(?!???). Absolutely not worth the nearly $20.00 cost and I feel so gross after eating. Hands down the WORST Chinese food I have had in the Triangle.

DO NOT GET THE S&S CHICKEN! Rice and broccoli were pretty good. Sweet and sour chicken was a battered mess! I felt like I was eating hushpuppies.

Food was plentiful. Ordered some changes and order was completed as ordered. Great flavor to food. Jumbo shrimp in my order. This is the large shrimp with Chinese vegetables for $10.95. Comes with white rice. Also ordered an egg roll and a large egg drop wonton soup. All very good. Under $20!! Will last me 2 or 3 meals on the main dish and soup.

Catering Works, Inc. is a well-established catering company based in Raleigh, North Carolina, with a rich history dating back to 1989. They have recently taken over the dining experiences at the North Carolina Museum of Art, offering delightful options at both East Cafe and SIP Cafe & Coffee Bar. At East Cafe, guests can indulge in an array of fresh entrees, salads, desserts, and beverages including coffee and wine.
We worked with Catering Works for our company’s Open House, and I can’t say enough good things — especially about Nicole Flynn. She was incredibly organized, communicative, and thoughtful throughout the planning process. Every detail was clear and handled in advance, which made all the difference on event day. The food was absolutely fantastic — beautifully presented, fresh, and delicious. We had so many guests comment on how impressive it was. On-site, Dee and the entire team were friendly, professional, and smooth — everything was set up exactly as discussed, and they made our event feel effortless. If you’re planning an event and want it to go right, work with Nicole and the Catering Works team. Total pros.

Okay, so it's been four whole years since our wedding, but honestly, the memories of the food and service are still crystal clear – and still make our mouths water! We seriously hit the jackpot with Catering Works. They absolutely crushed it and made our big day even more perfect. Let's talk about the food first – it was beyond perfect. We had 4 passed horderves during cocktail hour, all delicious, especially the duck corn cake. A server came out to us and our bridal party with a tray for us to nibble (plus our signature cocktails) while we took photos, which was truly appreciated because we never had time to eat until then. Each dinner dish/side was a winner. Like, truly restaurant-quality. Being a Maryland girl, I'm always hypercritical of crab cakes outside of Maryland 😂, but I was truly impressed that I could have a high quality crab cake away from my roots on my wedding day. Our guests still bring up how amazing the meal was, and honestly, so do we! It wasn't just "wedding food," that has become typical at weddings. Desserts and cake? Oh. My. Goodness. They looked incredible, but tasted even better! We had a two tier cake and a mini dessert bar so we could have a variety. We had gluten free chocolate cookies (my favorite), fruit tarts, macarons, caramel bites, strawberry shortcake (husband’s favorite); seriously, all the sweets were absolutely top notch. Beyond the deliciousness, the service was just phenomenal. The team was super professional, always there when you needed them, and genuinely nice. They built a plate for us so we could mingle with our guests and came back to a much needed meal. They handled everything so smoothly with my dad's alpha gal allergy and we didn't have to lift a finger. That meant we could actually relax and soak up every moment of our wedding day, which was priceless. The most meaningful part was the end of the night before we left our venue (The Meadows at Firefly Farm, highly recommend 😍) was the gift basket we were given full of a variety of desserts from our dessert bar, and slices of our wedding cake because we never had time to eat dessert AND a bottle of champagne. Talk about a personal touch, we were so impressed and felt truly cared for. It's pretty rare for something to leave such a strong, memorable mark after so long, but our caterer totally did. We still rave about them. If you're planning a wedding and want food that'll be talked about for years, desserts that are divine, and service that's absolutely flawless, Catering Works is where it's at. They made our wedding day foodie dreams perfect, and we're forever grateful!

Catering Works did another amazing event for us. We've used them 3 times now and have always been more than satisfied with their service. The options and selections are super well explained and the sales staff is extremely helpful in making good selections for the right amount of people and that they are suitable for the venue, as well as making sure it meets budget. The entire staff is super friendly, very flexible, very reliable, helpful and fun! I'm looking forward to working with them again on our next event!

I have been in the Triangle for over 30 years and I’ve attended a bevy of private and professional events. I also produce of chef podcast so I am serious about my food and libations. Catering Works is THE standout for everything I adore! They are a local company who’ve grown from two sister’s cooking in a small kitchen to the top caterer in our area. With good reason. They put their heart and soul into each and every event making an unforgettable experience for their customers and guests. It’s obvious by the empty plates and glasses and smiling faces. Their attention to detail, creative concepts, super friendly and professional staff and eye popping, delicious made-from-scratch dishes are unmatched. It was important to give them love because they’ve given us so much over the decades. If you need a caterer for any event, small or extravagant, Catering Works should be your first call! (And don’t forget their florist, Bloomworks and Ella’s Popcorn!!!)

Catering Works was amazing for our wedding! From start to finish, Kelli was amazing to work with- we asked to see so many different sample menus and pricing options and she was responsive and had a great attitude. She worked directly with our vendors to make sure everything would go smoothly. On the wedding day itself- I couldn't speak higher of the service and the food. A staff member brought us our own plate of hors d'oeuvres and drinks to the bridal suite during cocktail hour and checked on us several times to see if we needed anything else. All of the food was so good - even heated up the next day. We got so many compliments! They sent us home with to-go boxes of food, cake, as well as extra treats and goodies like champagne, candy, and popcorn. I could not recommend them enough!

Seafood market
Locals Seafood at the State Farmers Market is a gem for seafood lovers, offering an impressive selection of fresh, sustainably caught seafood from North Carolina's coast. The dedicated team behind this establishment includes experienced chefs and restaurateurs who are passionate about quality and service. Visitors can expect to find seasonal delights like blue crabs that are not only delicious but also comparable to those caught in Connecticut. Many patrons appreciate the friendly staff, who provide valuable insights and recommendations on various seafood options.
Just the best fresh seafood from long time neighbors. Always a good recommendation from the staff, we got Core Sound oysters. When strolling the State Farmer's Market, go through the shops. Pair your catch with a Chatham Hill wine!

I love raw oysters and never passed up an opportunity to have a dozen or two shucked for me, often at the now-closed Locals in the Transfer Co. Food Hall. When the pandemic hit and my autoimmune disorder prevented me from enjoying eating in restaurants, I either had to learn to shuck my own or go without. Locals has remained my go-to for fresh oysters raised on the NC coast. I place my order online and pick up at the State Farmers Market. The Locals team are very knowledgeable about oysters in general and NC farmed oysters in particular when it come to briny-buttery balance, what variety are best raw, and how splintery the shells are when shucking. I really appreciate their expertise; making it possible for me to still have my oysters.

Bought Spanish mackerel this past weekend at the Raleigh Farmer's market and it was -phenomenal-. So fresh, easy to cook, and absolutely delicious. I cannot wait to go back and explore their other options! (For anyone curious, I used a salt, pepper, paprika and turmeric rub for the fillets, then a chimichurri sauce to finish after a pan fry. The fish held up against, and paired well with, the flavors of the sauce.)

Locals Seafood has, hands down, the best seafood in Raleigh! Incredibly fresh, regionally caught or sustainably farmed fish, shrimp, oysters, crab & more. Supports NC fishermen. Been buying their seafood for years & they have never dissappointed! Best to pre-order online.

We have subscribed to the weekly program for a couple of years now. We receive seasonal , locally caught seafood. We love it. I love the freshness, the seasonality and the great service every week when I pick up my fish on Thursdays. I love chatting with the gentleman on different kinds of seafood they got that week, cultural meaning of different fish, favorite parts of fish from other parts of the world. I'm proud to support the Local seafood!

Can always find fresh seasonal seafood that are caught sustainably off the coast of NC. I've met 2 of their staff, Steve & Kent, who have always been nice and offered great information & recommendations. They always try to give me a good selection (e.g. making sure the crab has both claws on). I had blue crabs last week and they were so delicious - sweeter than any other times I had blue crabs -- well at least as good as ones we caught ourselves in CT.
Danthu V — Google review
Purchased what I had purchased in the past. Dry scallops, not wet scallops which was what I got. You can't pan sear a wet scallop. Ruined a fine risotto with roasted red pepper and orange & lemon zest. Can't call to complain because lack of staff leaves them with no one to answer the phone. Was advised to come visit the location with concerns. BLEEP!!! I'm supposed to drive 40 miles each way and burn $15 of gas to tell them that they sold me inferior product. The positive outcome was that the raccoons seemed to enjoy the meal immensely. Needless to say I won't be going back.

I’m glad that there’s a business that helps support and vet local seafood businesses. Local’s makes eating responsibly easy. Their seafood shares are affordable and have generous portions. It has introduced me to cooking many fish and soft shell crab. Also, There are oysters are always delicious and well cleaned!

Chicken wings restaurant
Restaurant
Located in Raleigh, North Carolina, America's Best Wings offers a variety of delicious options including chicken wings, seafood, and burgers. Customers rave about the mouthwatering catfish, whether fried or grilled, as well as the delectable chicken Philly and salads. The menu features a range of choices from healthy to indulgent, with everything receiving high praise. While some note that the service could be friendlier, the flavorful food more than makes up for it.
Went to Americas best wings today, wasn’t in a wings mood so I ordered something they aren’t known for which was a steak and cheese. Typically when I see places with big menus and a wide variety of items I don’t expect the items they aren’t famous for to be that good but man was I wrong. It was everything you could want from a steak and cheese and more - came with provolone cheese, lettuce, mayonnaise onions, and green pepper and it was a very good sandwich. It was made great, a good sized portion, the mayonnaise was a perfect amount, not overbearing or not enough and the sandwich wasn’t falling apart. I give it a solid 8/10, I have no complaints about my experience.

Ordered the chicken cheese steak and I have mixed emotions. It’s by far one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had…but it’s not a cheesesteak. You don’t make a cheesesteak with grilled chicken.

Ordered a 20pc boneless with Nuclear and Moon Dust along with a Philly Steak combo. The Philly Steak was ok. 5he 20pc i got turned put to be regular(bone in) and with how long ot took, i just took them. Then when i got home the Nuclear wasn't even that hot and the Moon Dust didnt have any Garlic flavor ( thats what i was told was in it). Probably womt go to this location again.

Just left there….customer service is HORRIBLE! I called in an order and got there and it was wrong which was no problem but the rude non gentleman working the register tried to tell me what I ordered and caught an attitude bc I was struggling to understand him. I asked him to show me the food so I could understand what he was saying. After him huffing and puffing several times he showed me the food and it was wrong. Not once did he offer to have it remade instead just told me “you said you said” I finally said no problem I won’t eat here and left. If I asked for a sub with shrimp only then it should be shrimp only….bc there is ONLY one definition for ONLY. In the event you make a mistake a simple redo should be offered not attitude and stare at me like take it or leave it and LEFT it was. Please consider customer service training bc the food is good yet already overpriced no need to add poor customer service to the menu.

This is not a black owned business. I ordered boneless BBQ wings and received bone in. I was called up to get my order. He opened 2 plates and they were both someone else's order. I also didn't Iike that the food was being cooked behind a closed door. There was no container for cup lids. The countertop was sticky from spilled soda.

Absolutely Delicious!!! I live just a couple of miles away so I'm picking up food here at least once a week. I recommend the catfish, fried or grilled is great! The chicken Philly & chicken salads are superb. The tea and lemonade always are the same, Delicious! Honestly my family and I've tried plenty of the menu items and have loved them. The serves could be a little friendlier but the, always seasoned to perfection, food overpowers that, lol.
