Nestled in the Canadian Rockies within Jasper National Park, Miette Hot Springs offers a rejuvenating experience with its al fresco pools filled with 104ºF spring water. The springs boast higher mineral concentrations compared to others in the area, making them excellent for skin and overall health. After a scenic 20-minute drive from the park's eastern gates, visitors can unwind in two hot pools and two cool plunge pools while enjoying breathtaking views of Fiddle Valley.
Loved it here! The hot springs feel amazing after a hike, and the mountain views around you make it even better. The drive up is gorgeous too - we even spotted some wildlife on the way. It does get busy, but if you come on a weekday it’s much quieter. Totally worth the stop.
Daria S — Google review
It is a wonderful drive up to the hotsprings. However, I was a little underwhelmed when I first arrived. The office area is tiny and the bathroom for people not yet in the hotspring is outside (but under a roof) which is brutal if it's windy and raining! The prices are reasonable and the scenery is amazing! There was no line up too get in on Sept 25th. One of the pools is shallower and cooler and the deeper and warmer. Cozy up to a jet for warmer temperatures.
Matt L — Google review
Miette never disappoints...between the jaw dropping views & the choice of pools, there's something for everyone. The lifeguards were friendly. The change rooms were clean. The bathing suit "dryer" was a cool addition. Worth the stunning 15km drive up the mountain...
MJWillick — Google review
We had a mixed experience here. The pool itself is unremarkable and the pool staff's eagerness to manufacture serenity in an already serene environment made it an uncomfortable experience for our family with young, and objectively reasonably behaved, children. I understand where they're coming from, but the experience left a bad taste. It almost felt like our family was being picked on, even though there were only a few people there when we visited and no one complained about kids moving around, quietly, in the pool. The very fact that they were not sitted still like adults somehow meant they were ruining the experience for everyone. I understand the need to create a good experience for guests, but not at the expense of families with young children who paid the same as everyone else to be there. I'd give 2 stars at most for the pool experience itself. That said, the pool is the least remarkable of the Miette experience. The half hour drive up there is spectacular, the views magnificent, and the short walk to the ruins of the old pool and the hot spring source (it's a small trickle draining down a gutter at the very end of the trail) makes the trip well worth it. For those who couldn't care less about a slightly warm pool in the middle of the mountains, I recommend walking to the hot spring source and back and hiking the Sulphur trail (we didn't do that as we had children with us). The old ruins of the original pool is also a nice piece of history. You can still see some of the features of the pool including the drains.
Seun ( — Google review
It is bit of a drive to get to these springs. The road is under repair in a few places so be careful driving around some of those turns. I felt that the water was hotter the last time we went here but it was still good. There was no strong smell of sulphur like at Banff. It was busy so it proves it is good.
Jayson H — Google review
First time ever experiencing hot spring and its “wow” to me. The place itself really wonderful. It has 4 pool with a different temperature from cold to hot one whichever do you prefer. Staff were extremely friendly. Such a great place to relax and unwind. Stress free. Ou can also explore hiking at mountains after.
Jayson S — Google review
Amazing experience at Mitte Hot Springs! I had an unforgettable time at Mitte Hot Springs! The nature is simply stunning - surrounded by peaceful nature and crystal clear hot springs. Ticket price is $17.50, towel is an additional $2.50 if you don't bring your own. Large parking lot. The water was the perfect temperature and incredibly relaxing. Everything was very clean and well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. It's the perfect place to relax, recharge and enjoy the beauty of nature. I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Can't wait to go back!

This was my first hot spring experience in Alberta and it was wonderful! I really like that Miette Hot Springs has been upgraded into a pool — it’s clean, comfortable, and easy to enjoy. The water was so relaxing after a day of exploring, and the mountain views made it even better. I’d recommend it for families or anyone looking to relax, and I’m excited to return with my family next summer.

Banff Upper Hot Springs is a historic thermal mineral springs located in Banff National Park, Canada. The hot springs were discovered in the late 1880s and have since become a popular destination for visitors seeking relaxation and rejuvenation. Situated at an elevation of over 5,000ft in the Rocky Mountains, the natural pool offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
We went in early summer in June. It was pretty hot day so we were sitting on the edges. It would be nice if they could have a colder pool to cool off on hot days. The swimsuit drying machine didn’t work which was a bummer. However, its a very cool experience. It is first come first serve so be there early. Gondola is a street down so if you can plan accordingly can go right after. They have a family price for 2 adults and 2 children which was nice and lockers come with the cost. You will need to bring your towels and swimsuit or pay extra. The view is amazing
Nara L — Google review
We really enjoyed the hot springs. The whole family even our little ones said they felt better and their skin felt less dry after spending time in the baths. We did forget to bring our water bottles up and hydration is important when you're sitting in that heat. It was not too full when we visited on a Friday afternoon. The views are amazing all around while you relax in the pool. The only negative was the high cost for a family of 6. We were once again discriminated against for having too many kids. The "family" pass only covered 4 people. Well, we have 4 young kids, so we had to pay over $70 to go sit in the bath. We were given 6 locker tokens though, as if our 7 and 10 year olds needed their own locker. Felt like another globalist led attack against "the family unit". Maybe Parks Canada can look at this and aim for a bit more fairness for families. Also, no Jr Ranger anything available at the NP Historic Site.
Adam V — Google review
Fun place to visit for a few minutes but detractors include an extremely large crowd, limited shade, and it's not a very big pool for the number of visitors that are here. Views are good and the pool is warm. It's best not to bring anything in the pool area as there is extremely limited space to store anything. This includes water bottles, towels, watches, etc. Bring your phone if you want to grab a few pictures.
Victor W — Google review
It was okay, there’s just one pool and it was quite crowded when we went. The day was very hot, so we mostly sat on the sides, and a thunderstorm ended up closing the pool for safety. They did offer rain checks to those who had only just arrived, which was nice. The women’s locker room swimsuit dryer was out of order, but overall the facilities are good. I think it would probably be a much better experience in the winter.
Roseanne — Google review
Went for a muscle soak after walking up Sulphur mountain. Quite expensive as we only stayed about 30 minutes because it was so hot. Had to exit 2 or 3 times and cold shower to cool off (I know that's the whole point). Quite busy, even at midday in high season. Would be lovely early on, or perhaps later in the afternoon, especially if it's cold outside. Great views!
Andrea C — Google review
Opinion seems to be divided on this one! It’s basically a thermal pool with a view. It’s not a spa experience like the Blue Lagoon or the Thermae Spa in Bath so anyone looking for that would be disappointed. I like a soak in a hot pool so really enjoyed it and I liked the retro vibe. I went at about 10.45 on a drizzly Saturday morning. It was busy but no queue to get in. People tend to sit round the edge of the pool but it’s reasonably easy to find a spot and the atmosphere is quite chilled. It’s not expensive. I got a senior rate and paid just over £10 for admission, bus each way from downtown and towel hire. You can bring flip flops for the poolside but I didn’t use them as the floor was clean and non slippy. As other reviewers have said the staff are really nice. There’s a little cafe upstairs - very similar to swimming pool cafes in England.
Alison M — Google review
Just one big hot tub. Beautiful views! Fun experience but not a must do. Full at opening but quieted down around noon. Easy parking and change rooms. Dining inside (did not eat there but nice that there is the ability). Bring your own towels or rent onsite. Swimsuits also available to rent. $17.50 for adult admission is reasonable for the experience.
Evelyn M — Google review
It’s National park service facility. And at 5,200 ft it’s the highest hot springs in Canada. And I’m glad Parks Canada continue to offer it to the public. The facility went through a remodel a few years back and maybe it’s time again. Gotta fix those lockers and shower fixtures. The hot springs is really a shared pool that’s 2 ft at one end and deeper at other. So everyone just pops out of the men/women facility and get in to soak. When you first enter it seems a bit cool but the temperature is about 40C or 108F. Its comfortable but I wished it was hotter. It’s hot enough to make first timers need to sit up after 20 mins soaking. After going there I would suggest wearing slides to the pool and inside the locker to keep your feet clean. Other tips include bring your own towels: a big one for showering and drying off, and a small one that the Japanese use in onsen to plunk down in the hot water and place on the head. It makes a difference comfort wise. And bring a water bottle to refill. The water fountain by the pool doesn’t work but inside the locker room there’s a refill station. During the summer and either elevated UV it’s probably best to bring you sunnies as you sit outside to soak. When you sit poolside you can get a view of the tops Mount Rundle. It’s a bargain for what they charge but you get what you paid for. It can be better. If you come around 7pm it’s likely parking is to be had in P1 only five minutes walk uphill (you roll downhill after). Refreshing !

Halfway Hot Springs is a natural gem nestled between Nakusp and Revelstoke, offering a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. The hot springs are fully developed by BC Parks, providing an opportunity to disconnect and rejuvenate in the midst of nature. Accessible via a forestry service road, visitors should be prepared for a rough gravel road with potholes and washboards.
Such an amazing place, highly recommend! It is a 11km dirt road to the campground / day parking lot. I went end of August and the road was fine. There is a campground and day parking. Toilets at the campground and day parking, midway down, and at the springs. Private changing area at the springs. Three main pools to use, each different temperatures. They’re right beside the river so you can cool off and go back into the springs. The walk down / up is a bit of a trek. It takes approx 10-15 mins to go up depending how fit / able bodied you are. The walk is safe for most people as there are steps and railings. Be prepared with snacks and lots of water if you plan on staying a few hours.
Elise S — Google review
Interesting authentic spot for sure. Very rough, very dusty 11km road uphill. First pool is actually very warm soothing, other pools are less hot. Nice scene by the river, canyon, forest. Bring water! Fully recoup before starting the trek back up the stairs/trail (approx 150’) I needed a few breaks, my son could have done it a few more times.
Chris M — Google review
I enjoyed this hot spring so much. No fee to get in. Drives from Highway for 11 km on a gravel road. It's not that bad I expect worse from the review. We sleep one night at the parking lot for $20. To go down was easy but steep, and to come up is worse if you not fit. One thing I don't like is some men just have no clothes walking around in public and also some ladies have no top and soaking in the hot spring making me feel uncomfortable. I respect people if just them alone doing that when no one around its okay but when have too many people I think they should respect other people privacy too.
Pinkaew B — Google review
Absolutely beautiful country. We went near the end of October and the autumn colours are truly breathtaking. The hike in is stunning and fairly easy for able bodied travellers. Steep paths and stairs. The river is beautiful and the hot spring pools vary in temperature. Down side is we went on a Saturday late morning and there was way too many people there for our liking. We just walked around and took a look and checked out the temperature of each pool. We explored the area a little and then headed into Nakusp to check out the local scene.
Gordon P — Google review
Bit of a hike in and out, but well worth the effort to soak in these pools. They do progressively get cooler the further down river you go. The last pool features a hammock and is next to a cliff which looks cool and less people visit it. There are outhouses halfway down and at the bottom too.
Joel R — Google review
Such a neat experience! Be prepared for a hike down to the actual pools - you need some amount of fitness and confidence on uneven ground. There are railings installed, and we noticed some folks using hiking poles. This is not overkill! :) Great place to change near the pools - it's amazing the work that is put into this in the middle of no where. Great assortment of temperatures. If you head away from the 'main' pools a bit, you're treated with the actual hot springs coming out the side of the mountain. Neato.
Heather B — Google review
A very nice spot with a very steep hike. 100 + sleeps plus 200+ human steps . There are 3 small pools all max at 6 for sure, there is another small pool a little way up the river it's small intimate if you get my meaning. We visited in the off season and there were only a few people. There was an attendant who was very personable as well sadly his name escapes me.
Allen M — Google review
I’ve been twice now. These springs are such a great gem. Well maintained by BC parks. Also check out the pool by the river. I understand it’s not always the right temp or the river water runs into it but in October it’s the perfect rustic spot !

Hot spring
Nestled within the picturesque Whiteswan Lake Provincial Park in the Kootenay Mountains of British Columbia, Lussier Hot Springs offers a serene and natural hot spring experience. The short 0.5 km trail leads through a beautiful forest landscape to a series of undeveloped thermal pools along the Lussier River. The hottest pool reaches up to 43°C, gradually cooling as it trickles down into other pools.
Great spot to relax! We were 4 in the pool and had lots of fun. Two of the pools were merged with the river because of high currents but we managed to enjoy the « hot and cold » experience.
Anne-Sophie D — Google review
Beautiful setting. Hot water runs out of the cliff and into one pool about the size of a large hot tub. That pool goes into another pool that has warm and cold spots as cold river water is flowing in as well. Easy parking, easy walk down. It was not a very large spot, but everyone was friendly and traded off in the hot pool. If you're in the area and like an all natural hot springs to soak, this is the spot. Very clear blue water. About a 30-minute drive in on a gravel road from the Hwy 93 side. Easy to find.
Karl G — Google review
Is a really nice place to enjoy, small but pure natural hot spring. Make sure your car has a nice shock, 20 mins of rough road to get there. And also a 5 mins walk to the place. But is well worth it.
Terence K — Google review
Once you navigate the active logging road the springs are awesome. A very cool adventure. It will be busy on a nice day. You must be comfortable navigating rocks to access the hot springs. Not sure how clean the two hot pools are with so many people in them. The sulphur smell is very prevalent. There are two pit toilets at the top by the parking lot. Be sure to be careful but worth the risk.
C M — Google review
We visited a mountain hot spring on May 1st. The views were stunning — like a movie scene — but the road was rough and scary. It started off exciting, then turned into a narrow, unpaved path that damaged my car’s hood. Near the end, only one car fits at a time, which was nerve-wracking. Only one pool was hot; the rest were cold. On the way, we saw wild goats by the road, so drive carefully. Overall, it was a thrilling and unique experience.
Olha S — Google review
It's pretty and free. Although too many people to relax in water but has mini hiking trails and beautiful nature.
Khloe P — Google review
It's an amazing experience either in the winter or summer time, but you have to drive 40 minutes on the off-road. *It worth the drive. You will enjoy the hot spring water*
Abdo K — Google review
Great little hidden gem. Natural hot springs with multiple pools that tend to be different temperatures. They are quite small so I imagine during peak hours it could get crowded but we went late at night and it was perfect.

Nestled in the East Kootenay region, Ram Creek Hot Springs offers a serene and natural hot spring experience. Tucked away amidst mountains and meadows, these undeveloped rock pools provide a picturesque setting for relaxation. Accessible via a forestry path, the springs are devoid of infrastructure, adding to their unspoiled charm.
Amazing natural hot spring. Thers campsites with fire rings about a ten minute walk from the hot springs. We drove there but according to their sites the road is closed now. Edit. I definitely got poison ivy the second time I came here.
Blue K — Google review
We stayed at the campsites just a short hike away. Note that there are logging sites up the road, but the logging wasn't active when we were there. The hike to the hot springs was gorgeous! The hot springs definitely did give us some sort of rash. We started itching all over our bodies within a couple of minutes of getting in, so promptly got out and hiked back to camp. Long story short, it was worth it to me, but if you are visiting primarily to soak in the hot springs, you may find yourself leaving more quickly than anticipated.
Kara L — Google review
If you follow the Google navigation, you end up having to walk 5km to the hot springs. Most of the trail, at least when I went in June 2022, was covered in freezing cold water that is knee-deep in some areas. The hike itself is easy, but the water makes it a bit difficult. There is a much shorter, easier trail from Premier Lake, although I'm not quite sure where the trailhead for that is, but I definitely recommend trying to find that route. The hot springs have a beautiful view and are, for a summer day, nice and warm (although they are more warm springs than hot springs). We went in the morning and there was just one other couple there, but by noon it got very crowded and like others pointed out, the hot springs get kind of muddy. Not the best hot springs I have been to, but they are free and the experience was still great!
Marlisa R — Google review
Beautiful hike, but extremely hard to get too. The springs were not too hot when we went, but beautiful area indeed. Its out there though, and its pretty neat seeing ram creek "warm to the touch"
Nolan V — Google review
We went in off premier lake rd, 9 km on ram creek rd, the painted bear was no where to be seen, a large berm had been plowed blocking the trail, easy climb over and the trek started, the old road has been dug up and the trail moves thru the ecological area towards the trail, nice trail led to the springs, no one there, we had a nice soak, bath water or a little less, but you just can't beat the view,,,

Nestled in the breathtaking Kuskanax Valley, Nakusp Hot Springs is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable experience. This rustic lodge features two inviting outdoor hot spring pools where visitors can unwind while soaking in stunning mountain views. Located about 20 minutes from town, the journey to these natural springs takes you along an unpaved road leading to Kuskanax Creek.
Always an enjoyable and relaxing spot. Nestled in the middle of a forest next to the creek for a nice soak in one of two natural hotsprings pools. In the summer the hot pool is cooled down to a nice 85° instead of 104 in the cooler seasons. Very scenic in all seasons. There are nice hiking trails to a remote lake or to the old hot springs, the source of the hot water in the thermal pools. A rough trail exists on the other side of the creek for hiking back to town. I used to hike that trail as a teen. There is a bit of camping and a few chalet cabins available. Though I have never stayed over. And there is even decent cell phone reception. Snacks and local goods are also available. The caribou nursery is right next to it as well. Always friendly and helpful staff too!

Dear Nakusp Hot Springs Team, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As proud locals and owners of Bear Ridge Cabins just down the road, we can’t sing the praises of Nakusp Hot Springs enough! This place is an absolute gem, and after 18 years in Nakusp, it still feels as magical as the first day we visited. The staff is always incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming, creating such a warm atmosphere. The change rooms are spotlessly clean, and everyone we encounter is so pleasant, making every visit a joy. We love sharing this tranquil, beautiful spot with our family and friends—it’s the perfect place to unwind and soak in the serenity. The scenic drive to get here is a treat in itself, and that stunning walking trail just steps from the hot springs is the cherry on top. We’re so grateful to call Nakusp home and to have the village run such an exceptional facility. We feel so lucky to have this slice of paradise right in our backyard. Thank you for keeping it so wonderful—we’ll be back again and again! With heartfelt thanks, The Bear Ridge Cabins Team

My original plan was to do the hike to the lake and take a dip and hit the road again but honestly fell in love with everything about this hidden gem. Friendly staff, clean and well managed amenities so I decided to come back the next day hiking from town (didn’t stay at their resort due to relatively higher fees for the tent sites lol). This trail was longer than the lake hike but absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended for people who are into hiking and want to relax after. Not recommended on weekend though as Sunday was really busy.

Lovely hot springs in the mountains, great views all around when you are in the hot springs. I did find myself wishing there was a cold pool to cool off between dips in the springs, especially as the day was warming up. Loved the walk to the historic source, which has recently been board-walked in several spots. Stunning mossy forest!

We have been going to nakusp for many years. Always in September to avoid the summer business. We had the best 5 nights, beautiful weather, awesome hikes and many May soaks. The staff is great. They try hard to make everyone happy. A shout out to Michelle, John , Lizabeth and any one else whose path I may have crossed. 🩷 We always leave well rested and planning our next trip there. ❤️ Highly recommend the farmers market and the Mediterranean restaurant down town. The local winery is also 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Spent a couple nights in the RV camp area...I was in site 21 which worked really well for me as it's located away from most of the other sites and my 16' Airstream Bambi tucked into the spot quite nicely. Arrived on Day 1 about 2pm, dropped off my trailer and headed to Halfway Hot Springs which was an awesome adventure to a public remote riverside hot spring. Came back to Nakusp Hot Springs in time for dinner and then got the evening pass which was also good for all day soaking the next day. Everything was fantastic...the icing on the cake was the hiking trail adjacent to the parking lot. The trail has recently been improved with some fantastic wooden walkways. I made it to the old hot springs area...just a beautiful hike.

Beautiful spot deep in the mountains ⛰️ 😍 Quiet peaceful tranquil!!!!! We had the smaller room in the back of the cabins was well stocked for what it is. I would suggest a shower hose type so one could rinse off after the day. The tube was well let's say tiny. The price was far far better than any of the local ( BC ) hot springs and was sufficient for us We enjoyed our stay very much.

My husband and I spent an amazing two days at the resort. We stayed in one of the small chalets it was clean and well maintained. Staff were wonderful taking as much time as we needed to ask question about the resort. A lovely piece of Kootenay history.

Cave and Basin National Historic Site is a significant landmark in Canada, as it was the birthplace of the country's national parks system. Discovered by railway workers in 1883, this site offers interactive exhibits that showcase Canada's network of protected places. Visitors can take guided tours of the original cave to learn about its history and culture, including lantern tours for an after-dark experience.
Staff is Very Friendly! They invited and showed us how to play hockey games even in the cold weather, and explain the situation of the ecological environment in the Basin. We had a lot of fun there!Thank you! The trail along the site is also recommended! It is a winter wonderland ❤️

The Cave and Basin National Historic Site is an interesting place to visit, especially if you’re into history and learning about the origins of Canada’s national parks. The cave itself is unique, and the bubbling thermal waters are cool to see. However, the site is relatively small, and there isn’t a ton to do after you’ve explored the main features. Worth a visit if you’re nearby.

This is a great park and exhibit area. There are some really cool signs before entering the cave inside which was amazing. Beware that you need to duck, and it really smells bad. Walking up to the springs on the hill is also really cool. Another great thing here is the Marsh Trail. This is a well rounded and unique and cool experience.

It was an amazing experience visiting this place and reading about how the national parks came to be in Canada. So much information is shared in the exhibits. The hot spring cave was pretty amazing to see as well. The exhibits and displays conveyed a great story of how the site was formed and how it was converted to a national historic site. Definitely recommend visiting the place with kids and helping them understand a bit of history of the land these national forests came to be from.

This is worth a visit if you have time. The museum provides interesting information about the local First Nations people, as well as the later discovery of the site by European settlers. The location is stunning, and there are trails you can walk: a short and easy marsh boardwalk with information boards about the local wildlife; a longer marsh trail; and a significantly longer route to Sundance Canyon. Use the marsh trail & loop back on the first part of the Canyon route for a decent circular walk. Use your insect repellant! (Fearsome mosquitoes).

It was neat to see the old cave and pools, but there wasn’t much else there and the admission price is more than triple what it was years ago. There was a short video played on the screens, but not very informative. I will say, though, all the staff were super friendly and very eager to assist. Good people.

Cave and Basin National Historic Site is a hidden gem in Banff that offers both a beautiful and educational experience. The site is incredibly clean and well-maintained, making it a pleasure to explore. The natural surroundings are stunning, and the historic significance of the area adds an extra layer of interest to the visit. If you’re a new Canadian citizen, don’t miss the opportunity to use the Canoo app to get a free pass to this historic site. It’s a great way to dive into Canada’s rich history without any cost. The site provides a fascinating look into the origins of Canada’s national parks, with informative displays and exhibits that help you understand the importance of this location.

It was very impressive. It smelled amazing because it smelled so strong. It seemed like a miracle that there was a creature like a snail here. It was believed that this sulfur hot spring was really good water for healing. If there was a private spa, I would have wanted to experience it, but unfortunately, only public baths existed.

Sulphur Mountain, located in Banff National Park, is a popular destination accessible by both a gondola ride and hiking trails. The Banff Gondola offers an 8-minute journey to the summit, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the Bow Valley and six mountain ranges. Visitors can also take the Sulphur Mountain Boardwalk to Sansons Peak for even more stunning vistas and a visit to the historic Sulphur Mountain Cosmic Ray Station.
Visit: April 2025 A nice, pretty simple hike! Finished in about 1h30m. Good hike for beginners as it's not overly strenuous. The views were great, and it was fun to wave at the people going up by gondola. If you can't take the trail, you can pay for a gondola up. At the top, there's food, drinks, a souvenir store, and information about the mountain and some games for kids. If you go out, there's stairs that take you to the observatory

July 2025 5* This is top point on the mountain connected by Banff Gandola. There is view deck and walkway at the top. You can enjoy the view from the top. There is coffee shop and washroom facility. Also there are different decks if you would like to view the town of Banff and amazing landscape. Don’t forget to take pic with Canadian flag.
Jaspal S — Google review
Stunning views that you just can't go wrong viewing anytime. The gondola makes it a breeze to get up and down but the trail seems like fun as well and seemed well marked. Recommend visiting near sunset for the golden hour for best pictures.

A great view at the top of the mountain. Unfortunately it was cloudy that day due to wildfire but the cable ride was a great experience. The longest I have ever taken.
Adekunle A — Google review
Last summer, my wife and I visited the breathtaking Sulphur Mountain in Banff, and it was an amazing experience. We started the day by taking the Banff Gondola, the ride itself was incredibly scenic, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the valley below. As we ascended, the anticipation grew—knowing we were about to witness something truly remarkable. Once we reached the summit, the views were nothing short of surreal. The 360-degree panoramic vistas of the Bow Valley, Lake Minnewanka, and the surrounding peaks were awe-inspiring. The observation deck and interpretive center provided some much-needed respite, but we were eager to explore further, so we decided to embark on the Sulphur Mountain Summit Trail. The trek itself was a challenge, especially as the air grew thinner the higher we went. The trail is somewhat precarious, with a steep incline and a few narrow sections. After reaching about two-thirds of the way up, we decided to turn back for safety reasons, but even so, the journey was totally worth it. Along the way, we encountered some incredible wildlife, including a marmot that made an unexpected appearance, adding to the charm of the hike. All in all, Sulphur Mountain was an unforgettable adventure, combining a scenic gondola ride with the challenge and reward of a mountain trek. Whether you're looking for a relaxing visit to take in the views or an active outdoor experience, Sulphur Mountain offers something for everyone

A place as beautiful as paradise, surrounded by majestic mountains. With a reservation in advance, you can take the gondola in an orderly manner. After hiking and enjoying the breathtaking scenery on the mountain, you can dine at a restaurant nestled among the peaks — and enjoy a buffet for just $45!

Sulphur Mountain offers breathtaking panoramic views of Banff and the surrounding Rockies from its summit. You can reach the top by hiking the scenic trail or taking the Banff Gondola for a quicker ride. At the summit, you’ll find a boardwalk, observatory, and interactive exhibits that enhance the experience. It’s best to visit on a clear, sunny day to fully enjoy the stunning scenery.

You get to Sulphur Mountain by taking the gondola ride. It's worth the cost and time to go up and see the sights. Lots of interesting things to check on in the building and the accompanying boardwalk to the weather station.

Lussier Hot Springs, situated in Whiteswan Lake Provincial Park, is a wild hot spring accessible through a logging road. The hot springs are undeveloped and offer a natural setting alongside the Lussier River with several rock pools to soak in. It is one of the most accessible hot springs in British Columbia perfect for those seeking an adventure in the wilderness. Despite being high on many people's bucket list, it still remains largely untouched and unspoiled by commercialization.
Wonderful experience! Came here on Wednesday morning and stayed a few hours. Start yourself off with the many smaller warm pools. The main hot pool is a smaller area. Yes it fits prolly 10 people and it was busy when we came but just wait and you'll find your way in. Everyone was friendly and from other parts of the world. Don't forget to cold plunge. I would recommend this to anyone willing to take that adventure. There is slight sulfur smell you'll walk away smelling like. The weather worked out for us. I did notice that the sun hit the pools in the morning and shortly after 11 that you won't see it again.
WanderingNomadJunky — Google review
There's a 1km walk down/up a steep hill. The path is well maintained with a nice handrail. Once you reach the bottom there are numerous large boulders to traverse to get into the pools. Unfortunately some visitors with mobility issues couldn't pass the landing to enjoy the pools and as such have given this a 4 out of 5 The first one closest to the side of the hill is the hottest and the one furthest away was the coldest as the stream laps through the pools to cool them down. There were dogs running around without leashes and some over crowding but overall it was a great experience. You can't beat free! It's a (unpaved) forestry road with some very rough and tight patches so drive with caution
Belinda V — Google review
This is a good detour away from the crowds. The pools range from a cold plunge type of temp to the hot water you are expecting at a hot springs. There are primitive bathrooms there to use and change if needed.
Natasha O — Google review
It was a really nice spot, a little crowded when I visited, but we were able to find some room. Good range of temps. Somewhat strong smell of sulphur, but that is just about every hot spring I am aware of
Ryan G — Google review
Lussier Hot Springs is definitely worth a visit! It can get pretty crowded, so be prepared for that, but the natural setting makes it a really cool spot to experience. A unique and worthwhile trip if you’re in the area.

This Hot Springs has seen better days.. it’s very small now there’s candles around the hot springs which we all know what the Hot Springs is used for when there’s not people around. It’s nice and hot, but you will need to get there early and hopefully you don’t run into people that early doing appropriate things.

We went September 25/25 with the family. The water was beautiful. Just amazing adventure. 10/10 recommend. Please do yourself a favour bring proper fit wear this rocks are SLIPPERY. We brought our puppy he loved it. There was a small hint of cool water very faint, made it the most comfortable relaxing I’ve ever had at a hot spring
Jesse C — Google review
We went there on a Saturday morning around 8 a.m. and there were already four people in the pool, but there was still enough space for us. There were three pools, but only one was warm, so most people stayed in that one. The road there was a bit annoying since it wasn’t paved, but overall it was a great experience and we would definitely go back. :)

Nestled in the beautiful Kelowna region, Angel Springs Trailhead offers an inviting escape for outdoor enthusiasts. This moderate 4km trail begins at Little White Forestry Service Road and meanders alongside KLO Creek, leading you through a stunning canyon adorned with fascinating geological formations. As you hike, you'll encounter narrative plaques that highlight the diverse local flora, including majestic Douglas-fir and Western Red Cedar trees.
Went 1st day of May. Larch trees were just turnig green. Beautiful. Also was surprised to find largest larch I'd ever seen right beside the trail. After about 40 minutes of steady walking took a right turn up the Bailout trail to Kettle Valley Rail Trail. Turning right again on this flat road , better for running and jogging, took me back to Little White Forest Service road in 25 minutes. Turning right once again to complete the triangular route in about another half hour. This last segment is a rather steep downhill but saw no vehicles. Only jogged where decent we too steep, but fine for walking.

Very Dissapointed that it is a COLD SPRING ! I was excited for a hot spring , the walk itself is narrow and rocky , a tad bit boring as it is only a 1 way trail , no loops , you have to come back the same way you came , which can be daunting as some days you feel like doing a 45 min hike , but its discouraging to have to walk 45 min back the same way ! Boring ! not much to see other than lotsa Spray paint, creek crossings , old cars and junk .

One of the most famous spas in Canadian Rockies, the Willow Stream Spa at Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel features a soothing mineral-rich pool, an outdoor whirlpool and stunning views of the Bow Valley. They offer treatments with a local edge that include Mountain Hot Stone Massages and Majestic Blue Body Wraps with mountain lavender.
I had the most wonderful pedicure. The massage chairs were great, and I had a heated neck pillow. Erica was so gentle and precise. She made me feel so relaxed and comfortable the entire time. After my service I was brought to the lounge to enjoy a little snack and take in the views. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience 🥰 thank you!

Truly a relaxing experience with staff looking after every aspect of the appointment. The booking staff at the front Desk was very accommodating and tried to give us the timeslot we wanted. The mineral pool and the hot and cold pools were very relaxing. And all other amenities were very well maintained. There is an outside sitting area for some fresh air even or to read a book. The massage was also great with very attentive therapists that would cater to your specific needs and treatment requirements. Definitely something you would enjoy

A wonderfully calming facility consisting of mineral pool, three varying temperature plunge pools with waterfalls and warm outdoor pool (co-ed) as well as sauna, steam room and hot tubs (non co-ed). The locker rooms are amazing with great showers and all accoutrements one could conceive. Great beverage and snack lounge room allows extended stays

My wife and I visited Fairmont Spa today. We were truly impressed by the exceptional service and serene atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and cared for, professional, warm, and attentive throughout our entire experience. We booked a massage and spa treatment and couldn’t have asked for more. The massage was incredibly relaxing, and the facilities are top-notch. The mineral waterfalls, sauna, and Jacuzzis are spotless and beautifully maintained, with three different temperature options to suit everyone’s preference. We spent over three hours enjoying the indoor and outdoor areas, which felt like a true escape. Another great perk: your parking is fully validated, making the visit even more convenient. Honestly, you don’t need to prepare or bring anything, just book your treatment and show up ready to unwind. It is highly recommended for anyone looking to treat themselves to a world-class spa experience in one of the most breathtaking locations in Canada.

**update** I was told I would receive a follow-up regarding my concerns, but unfortunately I was never contacted. For a spa located within such a prestigious hotel, I expected my complaint to be taken more seriously. I have even personally called and never received a response from management. As an Accor platinum member I’ve been a frequent guest at not only the Banff Springs but the fairmont Banff spa for the last decade or so. I’ve always sung the willow stream's praises and have recommend countless people to enjoy their services and facilities. Touting “the best facials I’ve ever had”. This has recently changed for me. I had booked myself a facial the morning of my birthday during my last stay at the hotel and unfortunately it was not the best experience. The spa itself is always beautiful and the check in is seamless and everyone there is very pleasant. I do however wish they would bring back the ability to order food & drink to the lounge. The aesthetician who did my facial seemed nice enough but she left me unattended on the bed frequently going to write things down on my card. I’d never experienced so much time left laying on the bed with masks on and not receiving any massage etc. She was also extremely critical of my skin and told me my skin care regime was not good for my skin. *note as someone who has had problem skin my whole life this was the first time I’ve gone in feeling confident in my skin and had found a routine that I felt worked for me* She kept telling me to stop using Salicylic acid even though I never said I used that. She also told me my skin not acneic which shocked me as I’ve had acne my entire life but had gotten it under control using my skin routine she told me to stop. What really upset me was she told me I had Cholesterol deposits on my skin and to talk to my Doctor. As someone with medical anxiety this was alarming to hear. I left my Facial feeling anxious and terrible about myself. I immediately googled what she had diagnosed me with and felt that it didn’t fit. After speaking to my dermatologist and my doctor, they both agreed that what she had diagnosed me with was completely incorrect. I never complained as I thought maybe I was being dramatic but after talking to a friend who received a disappointing facial there yesterday and comparing notes we realized we had both been serviced by the same aesthetician. I do plan on returning to the fairmont banff spa in the future but will make sure to request that I’m not given the same person as before. I hope the willow stream really starts to remind their staff that people are paying top dollar for these services and that they should strive for excellence and be considerate of how they speak to customers.

Great experience at the spa for our anniversary. We came early for our massage and they told us we can go enjoy the hot tub while we wait (we were 30 minutes early). We both had a wonderfully relaxing hour long massage after which we got back into the hot tub for even more relaxation. I like that each hot tub has a different temperature set so if it’s too hot for you there are other options or you can take a swim in red pool. There is also an outside hot tub which is just that much more enjoyable in the winter! A must visit if you’re in the area.

Stunning lake, lovely kayaking. Things got a bit choppy when the wind came up. We saw an eagle, and some good size fish. Beautiful clear water you can see the fish swimming in the shallow areas. Loons. Some noise from boats and cars but generally very peaceful 🏔️

This is an absolutely beautiful mountain lake. There are a number of campgrounds in the area. Alces lake campground and whiteswan lake home basin campgrounds offer lake front spots. Packrat point and inlet creek campgrounds are located just across the road from the lake. These all operate as cash only so make sure you bring enough cash up the mountain to cover your site fees and fire wood (which is $10 a bundle). The only facilities are pit toilets so now showers, but a refreshing dip in the lake should do the trick. There is also a natural hot spring a short drive away called Lussier hot springs. I was told this is a great lake for fishing rainbow trout but I sadly didn't have any luck. The lake is accessed by a roughly 30 km journey up a forest service road. Washboard bumpy at time and a short portion goes down to 1 lane with a cliff off to the side. Dont be discouraged though its worth it.
Jordan L — Google review
Beautiful park with plenty of campsites, all of which are on a first-come, first-serve. We stayed in the White River campground. It has semi-private sites, clean out houses and a hand pump for water. The water has a slight yellow colour with some rust-like sediment. Once boiled it's safe to drink but it would be better to bring your own. The home basin campground has several campsites that back onto the lake. The Cave Creek backcountry sites have tent pads, food storage lockers, and picnic tables. The hike to the sites is low/moderate difficulty.

Kinbasket Lake is a stunning reservoir surrounded by beautiful scenery and offering a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. While boating, caution is advised due to submerged stumps from previous logging activities and floating debris as water levels rise. The area provides ample opportunities for exploration, with numerous trails, hidden spots, and kilometers of shoreline to discover. Visitors can enjoy canoe rentals at reasonable prices and find great camping spots with the option to drive onto the flats for a unique experience.
Tons of trails and hidden spots to find along the lake. Great place to go adventure when your bored. Can always find a new spot or somewhere you haven't seen yet just depends how far down the lake you go.

Beautiful reservoir! Water levels were pretty low when we were there but that didn't take away the beauty. Be careful if boating due to lots of stumps underwater (from previous logging) and lots of debris floating around as the water level rises and picks up the driftwood lying ashore. Overall, I am extremely happy with how quiet, beautiful and peaceful it is on Kinbasket! Definitely going back for another visit one day!

Mist Mountain is one of the many mountains in Oregon. It is a popular hiking destination, and also has a ski resort on its slopes.
Mist Mountain was a fun hike! Bit of a grind up but reasonably easy trail finding and well worth it for the views. Went counter-clockwise and wouldn’t do it any other way you likely would not enjoy going up the scree. Didn’t need poles but some may find them helpful for certain sections. Wouldn’t recommend if you don’t know what you’re doing unless you’re just travelling to the hot springs.
Kiran W — Google review
Mist peak is an 'easy' hike but make sure your easy is the same easy as your friends, or you're gonna have a bad time 😅
Bryan M — Google review
Amazing hike. Tough though but very rewarding at the top. Bit of everything for hike terrain. Beginning was forest path with covering from the trees and switch backs so the incline isn’t oo bad. Then it opens up so you can see the lunch green plants and grass wide opening fringed with the shadow grey Rocky peaks on both sides- bring your sunscreen cause that part the sun is bright and hits you. Then you’ll peak and have to come down and traverse across shale (recommend hiking poles some sharp drops and the shale slides!) but three natural hot pools to enjoy at the top. 4 km in 4 out ! We stayed at the top for about an hour to go in all the little pools but the hike itself at slow pace takes about 4 hours just to the pools there and back.
Jackie H — Google review
We parked near Lost Lemon Mine pull out on Highway 40 just south of Highwood Pass summit. We bushwhacked a faint trail to the top nameless pass where a view of the sulpher hot spring come into sight. We traversed over to the hot spring which is off the route to the summit. After the hot spring visit we hiked around west of the summit to the scree slopes. It's a long way up the scree to the summit. The summit is over 3000m and reveals some great views of kananaskis. Unfortunately we were there on a Smokey day.
Kyle R — Google review
Great hike and awesome place to visit. We did the summit and it was around 13km round trip including the hot springs visit. You should park your car next to the road by the trail. A bit tricky to find the trail at first but then it's pretty easy to follow. I recommend hiking poles and good boots.
Dan B — Google review
Amazing hike! Loved it! I’ve done it two times already and it never disappoints me. Only bad thing would be the bugs, but I’m sure any other hike would have a lot of bugs as well. You get a beautiful hot spring on top. It’s a more advanced hike, even for me. I do recommend hiking shoes.
Marisol — Google review
This is a hard scramble to the true summit but the first part is moderate hike with a sidetrip to the natural hot spring pool. Even at the false summit of Mist Mountain you are already rewarded with views of the Misty Range and the surrounding beauty of Elbow Sheep Wildland Provincial park.

Despite the smoke, this hike had some insane views! Moderate hike through many environments (to keep it interesting) and a pretty rough scramble, but reaching the summit is incredibly satisfying. Don't quit at the outlier, the summit is only a 30 minute walk in the park away!

We recently hosted my brother’s reception at Paradise Banquet Hall, and the experience was outstanding. The love, care, and attention to detail from the entire team were second to none. Having held multiple events at other well-known banquet halls, I can confidently say that Paradise went above and beyond. From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism and warmth. Our guest count was around 250, and the hall size was perfect—spacious, elegant, and comfortable for everyone. Thank you to the staff at Paradise for making our day truly perfect. Your dedication made all the difference, and we are deeply grateful.

Ram Creek Hot Springs, nestled in the serene Bella Coola Valley of British Columbia, offers a tranquil escape into nature. Surrounded by lush forests, this natural hot spring provides a perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. The journey to reach Ram Creek is an adventure in itself; take Premier Lake Road at Skookumchuck and continue on Sheep Creek Road until you find the wooden bridge.
Very nice hot springs. Well maintained. Not too hot, but definitely worth it. Take Premier Lake road at Skookumchuck, stay North on Sheep Creek Road follow till the wooden bridge, Google map does not show, but check satellite view, there is the narrow road going up with yellow kilometer markers. It's bumpy, some rocks. Be prepared after 8 km marker. The road turns 90 degrees left, but closed old road straight behind the hill is the trail! You can park here, or after the turn. There is no road connecting Raw Creek FSR and Lussier River FSR, it is completely destroyed by excavator. Less than 2 km walk, about 25 minutes, easy grade. Trail from Lussier River FSR is longer - 5km - I don't recommend. Good luck!

So beautiful that my partner and I proposed our engagement to one another there. We were there on a Sunday in the mid-afternoon and managed to arrive, stay an hour and leave without anybody disturbing us. We look forward to coming back again one day.

Can't believe this is real life! What an incredible experience. The hike is worth it.
Andrew L — Google review
It was okay. Not much of a hike, under 2 kilometers, super easy. Hot springs are nice enough, watch out for poison ivy, it's everywhere at the spring.

Dewar Creek is more than just a creek; it's the gateway to a scenic 9km trail leading to the rejuvenating Dewar Creek Hot Springs in Purcell Wilderness Conservancy Provincial Park. The area is also home to diverse wildlife, so hikers may encounter elk, deer, goats, and moose along the way. The hot springs have been enhanced with a new soaking tub featuring adjustable water temperature valves.
Wow amazing experience. I'll have my video on YT. So check it out. This spot is not the trail head. This is the wrong spot. But if your looking for dewar hot springs. Your going to have to go to the end of dewar FSR. That's 74 km up the FSR. The hike itself is nothing hard. It's 9km walk up and down some beautiful country. The hot springs are worth the trek. BCparks has done an amazing job in building the pool. There's lots of blow down on the trail and muddy. Drive is 1.5 hr from Kimberly and the hike is 3 hrs in. Definitely consider camping in the summer. The water was so hot we had to wait for the cold water to pipe in

Dewar Creek is more than just a Creek, alongside it is a 9km trail that takes you up to the Dewar Creek Hot Springs. This spring was recently updated with the construction of a tub for soaking in, complete with valves to adjust water temperature. The trail itself is relatively mundane but well worth the hike. Hiking past the springs you’ll find Bugle Basin - a great little camp to spend a couple nights near the springs. This area sees heavy grizzly activity and you may run into hunters in the fall.

Well marked trail, amazing hot springs, well maintained back country camping at Bugle Basin.

Meh. Campsite is a clearing by the road. Fine to camp. The springs though were cold (was there end of June) and mud bottomed. Not really exciting. The river is nice and I saw a nice deer hanging by the springs but otherwise not much to encourage a return visit.
