Queens Breakfast Cocktails is a charming restaurant in Calgary that offers a delightful dining experience with its rustic vibes and generous portions. The menu features brunch staples, sandwiches, and global dishes made from fresh ingredients. Guests can enjoy the famous Waffle Nicoise with smoked salmon, lemon aioli, fried capers, tomatoes, Queens potatoes, and poached eggs or opt for the lighter Fresh Fruit Parfait.
Expect to wait for at least one hour for brunch on the weekends without reservations. The text messaging notification of the ready table is nice. Once seated, a team of servers are there and their attentiveness is commendable. The menu is quite extensive and looking around what others are eating give great anticipation of good quality dishes to enjoy. And everything we ordered did not disappoint. Very playful decor with an emphasis on wine and spirits. I hope to come over again because it's worth it.

First time trying Queens! I liked it! I like their bennys are on croissant and they serve thick bacon! The brioche French toast is a must try! Coffee was so so. Atmosphere was amazing though. Highly recommend to make reservation, if you do not want to wait as they get really busy. Parking is more of an issue. It is very limited or you’ll have to find street parking which is also very minimal.

What a gem of a place. Loved the deco, ambience and sounds here. The food and service was excellent. My wife are visiting from out of town and found this on our last day. Best breakfast we’ve had all through out our trip. The Queen’s Breakfast was excellent for me. My wife enjoyed her Garlic Buttered Poached Prawns. The Cold Coffee Martini with Affogato Ice Cream was delicious. Happy stomachs!!! 😋

After trying for a long time finally hit the jackpot!! This place was highly recommended to visit. I tried reservations before but was always booked. Luckily got reservations and an amazing experience. From reaching to be to seated with no time. Service was quick yet place was super packed. Menu serves some amazing dishes. We indulged in the Smoked Wild Salmon Benedict perfectly balanced with fried capers and horseradish crème fraîche. The Cheeseburger & Frites was juicy and satisfying, both tasted yum, while the Fried Chicken & Waffles delivered that perfect crispy and sweet combo we crave. I find the fried chicken dish perfect for kids. For drinks, the star of the day (half sweet) Cioccolata Cassanova hot chocolate was absolutely fab rich, smooth, and beautifully layered with mint cream and chocolate shavings. The off-menu Pistachio Latte was tasty and creamy but leaned a little too sweet for our taste buds. Queens is definitely a Calgary brunch gem worth visiting! Highly recommended to for family and friends meet up.

The food is always wonderful. The chef/chefs have made this culinary experience one you will never forget. You will be back for more. Always a full house, better yet, a full castle so make your reservations. You will never regret this full experience.

Hands down my favourite brunch spot in the city. I have only ever had the brioche french toast as it is the best french toast I have ever had (coming from a French toast connoisseur). Lastly, I have never had a bad cocktail from here (coming from a cocktail connoisseur). Service is always great there as well, everyone is so incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and punctual.

I really wanted to like this place — the vibe looked promising — but my experience went downhill fast. Right when I walked in, a giant standing plant with huge leaves sliced me across the face. (Photo attached of the culprit.) Not the warmest welcome. My drink took over 15 minutes to arrive, and when I followed up, I found out it hadn’t even been rung in. When my burger finally came, the first bite had two bony pieces and the inside was red. The manager came over and told me it wasn’t cooked properly, took it back to the kitchen, and later returned saying the chef insisted it actually was. Here’s what made that especially frustrating — the kitchen is open, and before the staff even seemed aware of the complaint, I could see one of the cooks just standing around, arms up, doing a little dance while the other barely moved. Maybe it was meant as lightheartedness, but it really didn’t fit the moment — especially considering the burger in question wasn’t even cooked through. The manager was kind and professional — honestly, the only saving grace of the visit. The server, on the other hand, seemed irritated by every vowel I spoke, which probably explains why two of my items never showed up. Asking for a box felt like I’d committed a crime, and he seemed more interested in asking what I do for work than actually doing his. And to top it off, the $2 hollandaise to-go was barely an ounce and not even full. Also, a note for safety — that front door swings back fast. I accidentally knocked their business license off the wall on my way out. A door buffer or a simple “open gently” sign would really help future guests avoid the same moment. I came in hoping to see a well-oiled machine. The manager did their best, even taking the burger off the bill — but one person can only do so much when the rest of the team isn’t in sync.
T S — Google review
Really cool and yummy place to eat! They had some unique items on their menu along with more traditional stuff which made a great selection. I got the special of the day which was a shrimp cake on a croissant with guacamole and a poached egg! I did ask for extra hollandaise sauce to dip the fried potatoes in, which tasted awesome! And to drink, I got their iced London fog which was incredible ❤️

Brunch restaurant
Brekkie is a vibrant and innovative breakfast spot located in West Springs, Calgary. The cafe offers a unique twist on classic brunch dishes, such as peach tamarind pork belly eggs Benedict and cream spinach and mushroom toast. Their menu also features creative options like bubble tea pancakes, Confit Duck & Waffles, and Earl Grey & Lavender Pancakes. The colorful abstract art and modern decor by Amanda Hamilton Interior Design create an inviting atmosphere for diners.
The food here is absolutely amazing. The Korean potatoes are a must to add to any meal! My husband doesn’t like eggs Benedict but ordered the short rib one and it was wonderful. Enough for two to share. We also ordered the blueberry pancakes, which are out of this world. Was way too much to eat. The restrained it a cafe style so is a bit tight. The food is really worth it.

We dined here for a brunch while heading out of the city. I've had a few friends recommend it and glad we stopped in. Last time I tried to visit there was a bit of a wait, (to be expected) it's a small restaurant and was on a weekend so it was packed. This current visit was on a Tuesday so a bit more quiet and we got in right away. We got the mango coconut french toast, a side of Korean potatoes, the ranchers brekkie, an iced latte and feature milkshake which was an orange chocolate one inspired by the Terry's orange chocolates. The food was delectable, pricy but worth it. Our server was wonderful and the vibes of the place were awesome.

I don’t even like pancakes, but I can get suckered into anything if it looks cool enough. I thankfully ordered the pancakes and they not only looked amazing but we’re the best pancakes I’ve ever had. The cake part of it was very dense and not like regular pancakes and the outside of the pancakes had an amazing crispness. The whole dish was excellent. My wife got the chicken and waffles and they were also amazing. Good coffee as well and I’d love to try and figure out how to make those pancakes
Rumble A — Google review
Is it possible to fall in love with French toast? Because that’s exactly what happened at Brekkie Café — and not just to us adults, but to our 10-year-old too, who declared, “This is the best French toast I’ve ever had.” And he’s right. ⭐ A Breakfast That’s Worth Every Penny Yes, Brekkie is a bit pricier than your typical breakfast spot, but once the food arrives, it all makes sense. Everything — and I mean everything — was crafted with care, consistency, and quality ingredients. From the presentation to the very last bite, this was breakfast done right. 🍞 The French Toast — A Masterpiece Fluffy on the inside, lightly crisped on the outside, served with a generous helping of butter and maple syrup — this dish alone earns a standing ovation. 🥓 Bacon & Sausage — Next-Level The bacon was perfectly smoked, with just the right thickness and a great fat-to-meat ratio. But the breakfast sausage? In my opinion, the best I’ve ever had. Not over-spiced, just enough seasoning to highlight the flavor of the meat itself. Perfectly sized. Perfectly prepared. 🥔 Potatoes, Eggs & Coffee — Nothing Left Behind Even the potatoes were a thoughtful touch — a beautiful mix of colors and types, all cooked to perfection. The eggs (sunny side up) had rich, orange yolks and were prepared with real skill. Coffee? Delicious. I started with drip and cream on the side — smooth and satisfying. I later tried a latte, which wasn’t bad, but I found the milk overpowered the gentle bean profile. Honestly, the classic coffee with cream was the sweet spot. (If I could offer one gentle suggestion: maybe take another look at the milk or steaming process for the latte.) ☕ Service & Atmosphere Heather, our server, was fantastic — kind, attentive, and made us feel at home, never rushed. Despite the full house, we waited only 5–10 minutes. The café itself is cozy, stylish, and welcoming. Plenty of parking, too. ⸻ 🙌 A Word of Thanks To the team behind the counter and especially those working the line in the kitchen — thank you. It’s clear you’re passionate about your craft and consistent with every plate you serve. Your attention to detail doesn’t go unnoticed. This has become one of our favorite breakfast spots in Calgary, and we’ll gladly be recommending it to everyone we know. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re not just making food — you’re making mornings better.

If it wasn't for the food, I'd give this place a 1. Food was pretty good, not hot, barely warm but good. Server was awful. No personality, no smile and no engagement. In fact, not one employee smiled the whole time we were there except for the hostess when we arrived. The Server never checked on our food until we were done and had to continously ask for coffee refills from other staff members because our server was non-exhistant. She obviously didn't want to be there. Between that, food on the floor that was never picked up, and the dog droppings right outside of the window that we had to stare at all breakfast, I'd say this place was a big miss. After hearing great things, it was definitely a let down.

Sunday morning at Brekkie was such a pleasant surprise — no waitlist, a quiet atmosphere, and attentive service right from the start. Our group of five tried a great mix of dishes: the Wild Mushroom Eggs Benny, Salmon Avocado Eggs Benny, two Classic Breakfasts, and the Saskatoon Berry Pancakes. The benedicts and classics were tasty and satisfying (portions leaned on the smaller side, but still just right for an early start). The real showstopper, though, was the Saskatoon Berry Pancakes — stacked high with a generous helping of whipped cream, perfectly golden with a slight crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. Easily the highlight of the table! I also loved the chai latte — lighter than expected but packed with flavor, a refreshing change from the overly heavy versions you often get elsewhere. Overall, Brekkie delivered a cozy, delicious breakfast that I’d happily come back for. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great start to your day!

Went with a group of ladies. Chicken and waffles, duck confit bowl, raspberry pancakes, regular breakfast plate, and avocado toast was ordered. Service was great. Food was great.
Maggie P — Google review
The food at Brekki was very delicious, but the portion sizes are pretty small and it’s quite expensive. The Raspberry Fog is so good, but not $8.25 good for the size. I’m glad I got to try it, even if it’s probably a one-time visit for me.

Restaurant
Located within the renowned Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, The Vermillion Room is a luxurious dining spot known for its opulent Sunday brunch buffet. While the buffet is currently on hold, guests can still indulge in the restaurant's à la carte menu featuring gourmet breakfast items like banana bread French toast and steak and eggs. The elegant atmosphere of The Vermillion Room adds to the grandeur of the experience, making it an ideal choice for a special morning treat.
We were staying at the Fairmont for a couple of days. It was part of our trip with the Rocky Mountaineer Rail. The restaurant is on the Mezzanine level and has a great view of the mountain range. We had 3 meals in total. A couple of buffet breakfasts and a 3 course dinner. These were all part of our travel package. In all 3 cases we were impressed with the atmosphere, service, and food. I have been to other Fairmonts, and this one lives up (and exceeds) the standards. The buffet breakfasts had all my usual favorites. I am especially fond of the smoked salmon lox, along with all the accompaniments (capers, pickled red onion). Everything was always fresh, and well presented. I enjoy the buffet experience because I can make the plate with whatever combination I am interested in. They also do I nice job with freshly made smoothies, both sweet and more savory. For the dinner, we were a party of 4, and with a reservation, got seated right away. The packaged meal had all the same entrees as the usual menu, with the exception of the the "seafood platter for two). Our server did a great job of getting us settled in, with menus waters and some cocktails. I got the special "Riviera" cocktail and found it to be nothing short of amazing. (if you like grapefruit flavors). For food, we started with some salads, grilled octopus, and french onion soups. My octopus was a unique dish, with a bit of cured egg yolk. For my entree I got the Chinook Salmon, on a bed of lentils. The other meals consisted of prime rib, and short rib. Everything was hot, flavorful, and good portions. No complaints, just big smiles. We saved room for dessert, and got the Opera Cake, Chocolate Cake, Paris-Brest and Creme Brulee. Unfortunately, this part of the meal was disappointing, with the toasted croissant missing from the Creme Brulee, and the Paris-Brest tasting stale. Not the best way to finish the meal. We did have a short conversation with the manager, and he did apologize. With the exception of the dessert issue, everything else was 5 stars! Would love to come back if we get back to Banff.

A couple words of advice: go early or don’t arrive super hungry. The food is a 10/10 but it closes at 9pm and the later you go, the more likely they are out of things and the kitchen backs up a bit. Now on to our dinner, we loved the place and our waiter Jeremy (I think was his name). The food is fantastic. We loved the French onion soup, steak frites, and gnocchi. Loved this spot!
David L — Google review
Fruits are super fresh. Smoothie and oatmeal taste wonderful! Good atmosphere, amazing views, and high end vibes. Pastries 🥐 are good too. Avocado toast doesn’t taste like what we expected. Yogurt parfait doesn’t taste good. Cooked food can be better, sausages were real meat, but chewy and cold. But service is great! So is the view
Yun Z — Google review
My wife booked a 7:00 pm dinner reservation for a “nice dinner” during our first visit to Banff. Let me start by saying the hotel is beautiful, the view from the terrace is amazing (make sure you get there early enough for pictures), and our server, Ellen, was excellent. The drinks were good too. Where things went sideways was the food. The French onion soup is good, but the escargot lacked any flavor other than butter and pastry. No flavor of garlic or herbs as one would expect. It seemed to be cooked well and the presentation was nice, but it just lacked flavor in general. I had the lobster gnocchi which seemed as if they had forgotten to add the sauce. The gnocchi were browned and dry, and the lobster was so-so. For $55 a plate I expected something much more than what I received. I have seen pictures of this dish in other reviews and there is plenty of a creamy white wine sauce which was not present in my dish. My wife got the pork chop which I thought was ok, but she did not love it. It comes with a thin layer of a pungent cheese that just did not pair well with the dish, in our opinion. We decided to cut our losses and skipped desert. Let me also say that I never send food back and almost never complain, but for a $200+ dinner it was disappointing. We shared our feelings with our server and she appreciated the feedback and gave us a partial discount which we were not expecting, but I would rather have paid for an amazing meal. Also, no cocktail napkins, placemats or tablecloths, no candle on the table or fresh flowers. It did not feel special, and for the location and cost it felt like a miss. Based on our experience we would not go back or recommend it until they make some changes.

We had lunch here for birthday. They had given us complimentary cake for the birthday boy. I added a note while booking for reservation asking for vegeterian options for my vegetarian friends ,they read and took care of. Our waiter Himanshu was very attentive and service oriented he answered all questions we asked about the dishes. Very professional 👏 . Desserts were delicious. 😋
Vidhya R — Google review
Late review, ate here on August 24th around 7:30PM. Steak Frites was amazing, cooked perfectly and amazing flavor. My photo doesn’t do it justice 😭. Fiancé got the burger which was also very tasty (she’s gluten free and even with the gluten free bun still good)! My only complaint here is the seating. It can feel weirdly close to other people. We got seated next to a large family with children who were on the noisier side. Another time I remember being able to hear everything this couple seated next to us was saying. Only complaint tho!

We came for the Sunday brunch at The Vermillion Room and the setting is absolutely beautiful—classic, elegant, and perfect for a special occasion. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and offered a nice variety, from pastries to seafood to carving stations. That said, for the price point, it would’ve been great to see something like endless mimosas or a complimentary drink option included. Still, a lovely experience overall with great service and a stunning view. Worth checking out if you’re looking to treat yourself in Banff.

Vermillion room is located inside the Fairmont Banff Spring hotels. PJ was our waiter and he was so kind and helpful. We told him about our dietary restrictions and he happily accommodated them. The food and drinks were all great. My husband had the filet mignon and I had the mussels and fries.

Breakfast restaurant
Blue Star Diner, located in the trendy Bridgeland neighborhood of Calgary, is a vibrant and environmentally conscious eatery. The diner takes pride in its sustainable practices, including recycling and sourcing ingredients from local farmers. Their menu features a delightful mix of Canadian and global comfort fare, with unique items like breakfast grilled cheese, fried chicken and pancakes, the Bluestar Burrito, and brioche French toast.
Food was tasty with generous portions, service was very attentive here. I highly recommend this place! We tried the French Toast and Chicken and Pancakes. French Toast were fluffy with HUGE portions! Chicken was crispy on the outside with the right amount of seasoning, and the pancakes were truly the stars of the show! They’re so fluffy and buttery without any sauce/toppings. Even the bacon on the side was perfectly cooked! My partner ordered an extra portion of pancake - it wasn’t needed at all, our eyes are bigger than our stomachs. Or should I say, their portions are bigger than our stomachs!

Solid diner food with generous portions. The menu has plenty of classic choices such as burgers and fries and fish and chips. Everything we tried was enjoyable even if not the best diner fare we've had. Service was good. Relaxed ambiance.

Love the old diner feel! Everything was quick. Breakfast sandwich was amazing — the croissant bun is a winner. Thick, tasty gravy perfect for fries or potatoes. Tomato soup was a bit bland, but overall a solid spot. Will definitely come back!

Lovely small restaurant! Nice patio to have brunch in the spring/summer. It is a popular place so you might have to wait a little. The staff were kind and attentive. The food was quite tasty and the portions were big! There were many options in the menu.

A great dinner in a nice little borough that's walkable and family friendly. The food was fabulous, the service was great, and the ambiance was top shelf. I would recommend this spot for a quick bite, family dinner, or a relaxed date. I cannot wait to return to this restaurant!

Went back after years and honestly… a little let down. Prices have gone up to OEB levels, but the quality didn’t match. Ordered the bacon & tomato bennie (no tomato), and the amount of bacon + hollandaise was disappointing as you can see in the pic. Asked for medium-poached but the yolk came out closer to hard. Taste was still decent, but for the price and what you get, I wouldn’t rush back. That said, service was on point super attentive and friendly.

Blue Star simply never misses. Took my partner here for some brunch, and he said it was the best breakfast he's ever had. I've never ordered anything I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. Cheers!

After rave reviews we decided to try this place for the first time. When we arrived we weren't greeted and after some time we finally got seated with no menus. And then we tried to track down a server to ask for menus. We asked for a kid's portion because my friend has dietary restrictions and were refused which was OK. We saw patrons on either side of us with fries so we orders the fries and gravy. Still no beverages, we had to call over our server and the restaurant was 2/3 full. She took our order and out can what looked like the scraps of fries all about an inch in length and really clumpy gravy. We looked for our server 3 times and finally decided to get up to speak to the girls behind the bar. When we approached them she was really rude and told us they make home cut fries and that they come like that. My friend couldn't even explain or show them our plate. There was no point and we were dumbfounded at how we were treated. I'm sure it was just a one off bad experience at least we're hoping so!!

Yellow Door Bistro is a contemporary eatery located in the iconic Hotel Arts, offering a range of bistro-style dishes with a modern twist. The restaurant serves inventive breakfast-to-dinner fare, complemented by an extensive wine list and classic cocktails.
We had brunch here as part of our Travelzoo Package (back in March) The selection is excellent with many decadent items but lots of healthy fruits and cereals available as well. The ambiance is gorgeous and we were able to stay and catch up as long as we wanted. It is a little pricey as a stand alone but nothing is cheap anymore so why not enjoy life and treat yourself.

My boyfriend and went here for Valentine’s Day. We waited a bit for food because they had their 6 course menus running, however, they were very nice about it, and treated us very well otherwise we would have not waited as long as we did. When the food came we weren’t even mad, the chicken was OUTSTANDING, and the potatoes were to die for. I felt that the chairs weren’t as comfortable but we’re definitely gonna go again. I highly recommend it.

Always tremendous food, with top-notch presentation - we had the 'Alberta on the Plate' event: 4-course menu; excellent service, and very welcoming atmosphere.

TLDR great tasting menu for the price, great staff, nice enough atmosphere. A very well thought-out tasting menu, and great value for price for a downtown restaurant. The timing between dishes was okay. The dishes themselves flavour wise were a strong 4.5/5. The drinks were 5/5! I got the sweater weather, and the bar were fantastic and made my boyfriend an old fashioned even though it wasn’t on the drink menu. The potatoes from our main were verrrry undercooked, and our fish was overcooked. I figure it’s because the chorizo topping needed to cook longer than the cod, but with such a fatty fish the dish was still quite good all things considered. Dessert was better after letting it sit for a bit, it went from a 4.5 to a 5/5. A super crème brulee! The best parts of most of our meals were the sauces. Whoever their saucier is, they do an incredible job. 3 stars for the atmosphere because for a nicer restaurant I was surprised they didn’t offer coat check, and had no hooks for my handbag so it had to go on the floor (at least for the table we were seated at). It also took a bit of waiting around until we were sat, but we were about 5 minutes late for our reservation so that was on us 😅. The parking is free and in an enclosed lot, so no parallel parking needed!

This is an edit to an earlier review. First experince a bit negative, follow up experience was terrific!!!! Brunch at Yellow Door Bistro is slightly on a smaller scale but offers great variety. You have the regular menu which has many options from light to extravagant. This Sunday the 4 of us opted for the buffet. It was delicious! The selection was good, all dishes perfect temperature, and well stocked. Ranging from charcuterie and small bites to eggs bennedicts and scrambled eggs bacon and sausage. The buffet does also include a selection of desserts and today was exceptionally special with home made macaroons. My friends and I kicked off with mimosas and each enjoyed a cup of coffee (juice and coffee are both included in the price). Make sure you try the seasonal favorite like the chicken pot pie which was a nice little surprise. The restaurant is lovely and staff are attentive. Allison was always around to top up our coffee and clear up plates. Thank you. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back again.

Chose it as the easy and quick breakfast option as we were staying at the hotel..and what a mistake! Although emphasized that we have kids with us and they are hungry, every thing happened much later than perhaps if we had not informed them.. To order….! Had to get up and go find somebody to take my order…follow ups on order, plates,…salt…all came with delays and for food, the excuse was “sorry, we have only one person cooking…and many tables…”!!!!!! And the food also did not worth the waitC not too bad, but super average…and there it came at the end..18%, 20%,…etc. tip! 😆 We never went back…

Service was really slow during Valentine’s Day. However, the food was really good and made up for the couple hours wait. Our waiter was also really apologetic and understanding about the situation. Excited to try this place again when they’re not so busy. The GRILLED HALF CHICKEN COQ AU VIN was some of the best chicken I’ve ever had.

Came here for our Valentine's Day supper. Food was amazing, our server was nice but he seemed really frazzled and he was quite sweaty. Just a little off putting.

Monki Breakfast Club & Bistro Beltline is a popular daytime restaurant known for its rustic-chic ambiance and hearty breakfasts. The menu features classic breakfast favorites with unique twists, such as steak and eggs, perogies, and Eggs Benny with Smoked Salmon. One of the highlights is their diverse fondue flavors including chocolate, Matcha, Earl Grey, and Yellow Turmeric.
My friends and I recently had brunch here and really enjoyed it! The food was tasty and well-prepared. We were particularly impressed by our server, Miller, who was exceptionally professional and genuinely kind. While the cost was a bit steep, the delicious food and top-notch service made it a great experience.

I had the pancake taco and it was a fun, tasty twist on brunch. The space felt a bit cramped, especially during the busy hours, but the excellent service more than made up for it—Miller our server was friendly, attentive, and made the experience really enjoyable. Great spot overall, and I’d definitely return to try more!

The menu offers a great variety for both meat lovers and vegetarians 🥗 The flavors were exquisite and the presentation of the food was excellent. We were served by Miller, who had an outstanding attitude and a great sense of service. A wonderful breakfast for a Saturday morning. Highly recommended

I was sadly disappointed with this place. It might have had some of the best hollandaise at a restaurant I have ever had. ... but the service was bad enough it overshadowed the food. We used the wait list and got a table just as we arrived. Recommend waitlist or reservation as it is a very small restaurant with tight and limited seating. We waited a looooong time to be served. The table comes set up with water thankfully. And we ordered pumpkin spice lattes which came quickly. Then the server seemed to somehow forget about us. We felt pretty ignored. Someone who was seated about 10 minutes after us got their food and drink before we even got to order our food. The server acknowledged it was too long of a wait and said they wouldn't charge me for a side of hollandaise I ordered (which is true they did not). The food was beautiful and came quickly. She did forget the side of sauce and I had to ask for it, whatever, it happens. We finished eating and were quite happy. Then we waited.... and waited...and waited for them to clear our plates and bring our bill. The server was chatting with the other server in the back of the restaurant. Then when they came out, they cleared almost the whole restaurant and re set it up, sat it and brought people their food before I finally asked the other server for our bill. We waited at least 35 minutes for our bill. Im not sure what we did to be completely ignored by our server after the food was brought but thats exactly what happened. I've never walked out on a meal but seriously considered it. Sadly will not be back to this establishment.

It was my first time having brunch there and I loved my experience! Service was great and food super fresh. It was rich and flavour and these were one of the best potatoes I ever tried in my 35 years on this planet :D Crunchy on the outside and perfectly soft inside. Highly recommend this spot!

Showed up at 11:45 on a Saturday and had no wait. The service was quick and personable, thank you Miller. The food was tasty, eggs done perfectly, the beef while succulent had a missing flavor factor in regards to the different sauces.

ZCREW Cafe in Calgary has become a popular spot for brunch, offering a laid-back and modern atmosphere. The cafe is known for its delicious coffee, tea, and impressive brunch menu featuring grab-and-go sandwiches as well as leisurely options. The dishes are not only flavorful but also beautifully presented, making them irresistible for snapping photos. The menu includes breakfast sandwiches, bowls, and drinks with Asian influences such as the Korean Fried Chicken Benny with gochujang glaze.
This week’s Sunday brunch, we decided to head down to ZCrew. The place is small so reservations is recommended if you want a spot to eat. I tried the Korean fried chicken and waffles and the girlfriend had the Korean fried chicken benny. Both meals were super good. Worth giving it a try. To wash down the brunch we had the zcrew silky iced coffee. Yum yum yummy all around. If you are around area or plan to try this place out. Definitely give it a try. You won’t be disappointed

We had the absolute pleasure of meeting the owner, Zak, who went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. The food was an easy 15/10, flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere is minimalist yet warm, with so many amazing options to choose from. The service and attention to detail were beyond 5 stars. Zak clearly understands food, ambiance, and genuine hospitality at the highest level. This was easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had, and we’re already planning our return. Truly outstanding in every way!

The Matcha pancake were so warm soft and delicious. And it's art food so pretty. The fruits were fresh and juicy. Service was quick friendly and my order came out in reasonable time. The Cafe was clean organized and the team was working well together. There are cozy seating by the window cute for a little date or meet-up. Reasonable priced for upscale cafe . Totally will be back to try some eggs and hot latte~. Lots of parking available around.

The food was absolutely amazing! Zack and his team of 10 provided top-notch service and were incredibly accommodating, even with our group of 15 arriving as early as 9 AM. Our meals were served within minutes, which was impressive. The only area for improvement would be the sourdough bread—it could be better. Aside from that, it’s a perfect 10/10 for the ambience, Instagram-worthy vibes, stunning food presentation, and a marvelous selection of drinks!

The friendliest staff! 🥰 warm welcome, great service. We came here for a late lunch just now, and had the chicken n waffles + avo/mushroom eggs benedict which were very good. Excellent coffee as well. Only small negative was hearing two types of music at the same time, kitchen and restaurant. But we'd recommend!

Best brunch we've had in a long time! Korean fried chicken and waffles were super tasty, the bird nest had perfectly cooked scotch eggs.

We came in clutch just minutes before the last order on a Sunday, but they still delivered! I got the tofu bowl with added Korean fried chicken, the portion was more than enough for one, and the toppings were super generous. I left feeling so full and satisfied. Great food, great service even at the end of the day!
Reyzharie ( — Google review
It was okay. The biggest problem I have is texture. You guys would really shine with better bread. It is as mushy as the eggs on top, and the eggs are as soft as the sauce on top. Bread should be toasty, smoky, crispy, loud and cloudy. That alone would elevate your avocado toast experience Give us more texture. Hot chocolate was boom though!

Wine bar
River Café is an upscale dining spot housed in a beautifully restored park concession building. The restaurant prides itself on sourcing the finest local ingredients directly from producers and growers, ensuring top-notch quality. Their Canadian-style cuisine focuses on simple yet transformed meat, fish, and produce cooked over an orchard wood-burning grill.
My husband and I got married at River Cafe this June. We had the absolute best experience and so did our guests. If anyone is considering getting married here - do it! Kerry was really wonderful to work with as the event coordinator. She was very timely with her emails and made time for us to meet in person multiple times. She made the process fun and I felt extremely confident in her ability to make the day run smoothly (which it did! Even with a bit of rain). The bar staff was able to recreate a cocktail from last years menu to be served on our day that we loved. You can tell that weddings are not a new thing here. The staff has clearly worked many. They were efficient and did a fantastic job as a team. We had 90 people at our wedding and so many people commented about how short the wait for the bar was - everything was done very efficiently. We had so many comments from guests about how much they loved the venue. The food was so good (make sure one of you gets the Arctic Char because it was delicious!). We can’t wait to spend our future anniversaries at River Cafe. :)

Their weekend brunch was great! The Benedict biscuit tasted like it was made in the morning (and it was amazing by the way). Never had an eggs Benedict with arctic char but would definitely get again. We love the Canadian flavours and it really shows in the cooking :))

A lovely late lunch on the patio today! Service was excellent, our waitress was friendly and kinda laid back - which actually suits us very well. Food was great also: the flatbread (pizza) and the glazed eggplant + tart for dessert. The eggplant was our favourite for sure! If we lived here, we'd be back 🥰

We got the sablefish appetizer and halibut main. Both very yummy. The chocolate dessert was absolutely delicious. This is in the middle of Prince’s Island Park so it’s a bit of a (pleasant) trek from downtown parking lots.

Beautiful location inside a park in Calgary, not too far from the Chinatown area. This spot has beautiful views and an amazing serene feel to it as you approach it after a walk around the park. The food here is decent - came here for brunch and they featured many of the brunch classics with lots of locally sourced meats and vegetables. The portion sizes were decent as well, so you won’t leave hungry. Overall - it’s a good spot in Calgary to check out for brunch and a stroll in the park.

We had an incredible lunch here. Sat outside on a gorgeous afternoon. We were seated promptly and order was taken quickly. Drinks were delicious. The restaurant filled up quickly, and the wait for food was a bit long, but it was worth it. Every bite was great. Standouts include the lamb sirloin flatbread and the beef tartare. Service was very friendly and accommodating with a booster seat available for a child.

Beautiful location, great decor and ambiance. We went for brunch. First time there. Food and drinks were delicious except for the fish cake! We had a scone, monogram coffee, cider, bacon, eggs with hash, lamb sausage and toast which were all tasty. Only thing I didn’t love was the fish cake. It tasted too fishy. I had halibut a few times before and it never tasted so fishy. I did live on the west coast in Vancouver by the ocean so maybe I should not compare fish in Alberta to fish I had while living near the ocean. That’s my honest opinion and experience. I would maybe try the restaurant one more time for dinner, and see how it is, although we will likely not get the fish again. Server was nice overall. I did mention the fishy taste of fish cakes and asked if that’s normal, he said it’s supposed to taste fishy so I said ok. I usually don’t mention things to restaurants but was curious if it’s supposed to taste the way it tasted. I did mention all the foods we did like as well.

Would absolutely return.

We have gone to breakfast more than three times and it is always a very pleasant experience, the food is delicious and sufficient. Everything is prepared at the moment and they attend very quickly. The super recommended cinnamon have different coffees and hot drinks, very affordable prices and a pleasant family atmosphere.

This is my family and I’s go to restaurant for having a relaxing and fun experience. I’ve gone over 5 times now and I can easily say everyone should try it at least once Cav, the server I had every single time I’ve gone there for the last 2 years, is definitely my favourite server in the restaurant business altogether. She’s sweet and kind and always checks on her tables in a timely fashion despite the restaurant being busy almost always, never too much never too little and it’s always a pleasure to know she will be our server. Funny enough, whenever my mom comes into the restaurant, she hopes that it’ll be Cav serving her and nobody else. That isn’t to say nobody else is good, I can’t speak on any other servers, but definitely Cav is an elite level server. She also gave us cinnamon buns on the house on my mom’s birthday which made my mom really happy that day. As for the food, there’s just no complaints whatsoever. Everything tastes either good and delivers as expected or unique and nice. For example, the salmon has a mango sauce on top of it which adds a sweet kick that’s so refreshing and unusual. Their omelette and Benedict are both so good to the point where my brother and I share half an omelette and Benedict everytime so we can get to try both. Their idea of having the “veggies of the day” in the omelette is fantastic cause you never know what you’re going to get and switches it up everytime. They also make their ketchup in house which is very refreshing and tastes like marinara/fresh tomatoes. Definitely ask for it if it’s not already provided. I’m not aware if the chicken is halal so I stick to seafood and vegetarian. 8.2/10 - if you’re on a roadtrip to Edmonton for 3-4 hours, make this a stop for sure.

super delicious food! insanely huge cinnamon rolls that are perfect with coffee (only complaint, bit tough and hard to cut/split—but some difficulty is unavoidable at this sheer size) really loved the service, the staff were very friendly. it’s also a very charming location. i understand the hype!!!

We visited the Highlevel Diner on Saturday past and enjoyed it very much. We got there around 11 and had no issue getting a table. Our server was so nice! Very friendly and quick to take our order. I was surprised how quickly the food was brought to our table. I ordered a Breakfast sandwich (sausage) and my wife had the Got Beef Benny. While my Sammie was good, it was a little underwhelming. The one sausage link cut in the middle on a plain English muffin really had no taste. The hash browns were really soft and tasty. The homemade ketchup was very nice. My wife loved her Benny! It was appealing to the eyes and very tasty! I wish I had ordered it, but I can't do so much hollandaise sauce. Next time I will try it with the sauce on the side. Coffee was refilled often and it was great! I am very impressed with HighLevel Diner and will certainly return soon. Parking sucks, but that's the primary issue with the University/Whyte Ave. area. Sorry for the partially eaten meal pic’s!!

Step into the 1940s at Galaxie Diner, a classic Calgary breakfast spot with a retro vibe and an all-day menu featuring traditional favorites. This local gathering place offers vintage decor, including bar stools and booths, and serves up dishes like Montreal Smoked Meat Hash, Galaxie French toast, and a legendary breakfast burrito. What sets this diner apart is its commitment to using real butter and pure maple syrup in all their offerings.
Galaxy Diner is picture perfect in its role as a traditional Mom and Pop restaurant. In business for almost 30 years in the same location. It is a model of consistency. While it is housed in a small space, that intimate setting, that irreplaceable "been around a long time" patina and style are part of its charm. The helpings are generous, with many items listed on the menu "Served with endless toasts and bottomless hash browns", omelettes get "Any number of fillings, same price". The food is fresh, served quickly and the staff, many of which are long term employees, are courteous, despite working in tight quarters and typically busy services. We had a <Montreal smoke meat hash> and an <omelette of choice>, both of which were excellent, with an extra order of toasts, as included in the menu. We did not wait for a table for two but on weekends, Galaxy Diner can get a waiting line. Hard to beat simple, fresh, abundant consistent food, served with a smile. Keep doing what you do, Galaxy Diner!

Always a favourite place of ours to stop when in town before heading up to the mountains. The Galaxie Diner really feels like an authentic diner experience with many familiar options and a fun retro atmosphere. It was a bit busy on a Saturday morning (a good indicator) and we had to wait for about 15 minutes. The wait was well worth it. The huevos rancheros never misses and was quite good. Portion sizes were very generous and service was prompt and friendly.

I’ll definitely be back soon and will be recommending it to everyone I know.

I was excited to finally try Galaxie Diner. It was busy on a weekend and it took about 20 mins to get a table. Galaxie Diner is a no-frills simple breakfast/brunch joint. There's no trendy or latest-of-the-month dishes here. It's basic diner food. I got the Chicken Clubhouse while my wife had the ABC Burger. My kids got the Mini French Toast and the Tiny Traditional off the Galaxie Kids menu. My Chicken Clubhouse was pretty standard and one you could make yourself. The bacon was not crispy which was surprising giving that they heavily focus on breakfast. The hash browns were bottomless which I didn't take advantage of. I think the challenge is the limited grilling area. The hash browns were cooked in large piles so there's no chance for crispy edges. It wasn't quite what I had hoped. The ABC Burger was very homestyle. The beef was definitely not typical of restaurant patties. It had a homemade flavor to it, which is not necessary a good/bad thing. It's just different. Both my kids enjoyed their dishes. We were surprised the Mini French Toasts were just plain grocery bread slices dressed up.

Fabulous little diner - I went with my family and we had a great time. The service from the moment we walked in the door was great, all the staff we interacted with was so friendly and welcoming. I appreciate small restaurants where everyone is available to help, it really makes it feels homey. I had the smoked meat Bennie and was obsessed. The hollindaise was perfect, and I love when bennies are served on croissants. I found myself getting full so fast, I can only assume it's because its real food. This place was packed busy, and for good reason.

This is the best breakfast place in Calgary. Get your name on the board and be prepared to wait for this cozy throw back to better, easier times. Yes it looks dated and thats its charm. The open grill atmosphere probably the OG for that "chic" open kitchen feel. They top your coffee up fast. The staff is friendly and pretty cool. Great food, never had a less than awesome experience for all the many times I've been. This is the best diner in the Galaxie! You will leave happy and never hungry.

Namo Cafe Bistro is a charming and bohemian eatery located in Calgary, Alberta. It has gained popularity for its diverse international cafe cuisine, all crafted from locally sourced ingredients. The menu offers a wide range of brunch options inspired by flavors from around the world, including sweet treats like pumpkin spiced pancakes and passionfruit mango crepes, as well as savory dishes such as brunch bowls, sandwiches, and eggs Benedicts.
Absolutely LOVE this spot! It's a cafe restaurant which offers a variety of halal options. While visiting Calgary we stopped at this location to hangout with a group of friends. I ordered a lamb based dish with a side of eggs and it was absolutely yummy. My friends ordered chicken burgers or waffles and the quality looked incredible. No one complained about the food, rather everyone was so impressed by how well it turned out. The prices are VERY reasonable and affordable The waitresses were extremely helpful throughout our selection process in helping us understand the dishes, options for adjustments and bringing condiments to our table. The interior of the restaurant is nice, it attracts a wholesome crowd of young people & families. I enjoyed the ambiance and the environment. Overall I would absolutely come here again for the experience and to try out the other dishes here.

This restaurant is the best breakfast/brunch restaurant I have been to in Calgary. It’s a small restaurant but the place is always packed - best to make a reservation. The reservation is always on time. The food is amazingly good and perfect - the pictures do not do justice to it at all. The portions are large and the chicken and meat are halal except for a few item on the menu - please ask. I’ll recommend the Brioche French Toast for breakfast or the Angus Brisket for brunch - the portions are quite large. The service and people are professional and lovely. The restaurant is always packed so expect lots of chatting but enough to hear/talk and have a conversation. Since it is close to downtown, you’ll have to pay for parking - Calgary Parking is ideal. I’ll definitely recommend.

We loved this brunch spot! It is quite small inside but if it's busy, they have an online waitlist you can join from home. I had the strawberry matcha latte, it was a great mix of strawberry and matcha flavor. My husband ordered the brisket bowl and I tried the new Furikake bowl. Both were delicious! Their menu has alot of variety (vegan options as well). We will definitely be back to try more.

This place is always packed but it's so worth it! You can make reservations online on top of the waitlist... so if you plan thoroughly, you'll get to enjoy this amazing brunch spot. The bowls are always good, you can't go wrong with any of them. We also tried the french toast this time which was so delicious. It was surprisingly not too sweet, and was a perfect brunch option! The asian fusion style dishes are some of my favorite in the city. I have yet to find a brunch place I enjoy more than Namo :)

Blinding caucasian decour but the food is good. The wedges are to die for. Everything was plated well and the taste overall was good. Omelette had good texture. I'm not sure if they use grass fed butter or something handmade but the butter is really good. Brioche BELT was hearty but I think that another bread would hold up better to the hefty toppings. For both entrees the cheese inside was not properly melted. Also I wish they just put the wedges on the plate. The little basket can be filled inconsistently.

Had breakfast here with the family. Friendly enough staff on arrival and lovely flowers at the front door! Pretty much everything you would expect for a breakfast eatery. I always get a bit freaked out by loads of ketchup / sauce bottles open on a display as I worry about how long they have been there- how can you track the dates of all those bottles?? The decor was a bit confused and I couldn’t work out the vibe…..Masquerade masks 🎭 on the wall along with jazz instruments and a suspended ceiling with 80s style Miami Vice curved arches. But don’t be put off. The food was really good🤨I ate strawberry waffles with cream, my son blasted through chocolate choc chip buttermilk pancakes and my Wife really enjoyed buttermilk pancakes, maple syrup , Canadian 🇨🇦 bacon and cream. We washed this down with tea and water. It is worth noting my son is a pancake expert with real world experience and he rated them highly!

The food here was excellent! We’re Florida natives, so we know what true southern food tastes like. Most restaurants outside of the south don’t really know how to cook authentic southern food. But the fried green tomatoes were on point, the pork belly was perfectly cooked, the remoulade was great and everything was salted just right. Very pleased with the experience!

My shuttle driver recommended this eatery. So, I checked it out 2 days in a row. I would tell the waitress what I was interested in, and they would recommend a different take on it. I must say, those ladies were spot on! I never been to Louisiana because it's too hot and humid for me. I heard about the food scene there. Well, I am good now that I visited the town of Banff in the country of Canada with Louisiana flare! I definitely got my fill of delicious cuisine and wonderful customer service! My compliments to the chefs! 🫶🏽😊🇨🇦🌎

A truly charming spot! I had a table on the patio, which is beautifully decorated with greenery and creates a lovely atmosphere. For food, I started with the signature salad – so flavorful and unlike anything I’ve tried before. Then I enjoyed the fresh marinated tuna – light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. To finish, I had the blueberry cheesecake, which was delicate and delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a meal that feels light yet fully satisfying.

Best culinary experience. I am a vegetarian foodie ans love food based on veggies. I sat at the counter and watched the guy prepare every single dish. I had the tuna, kale ceasar, asparagus and maple desert with a sauterne. A lot of caring on each of them. Highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must-Visit Culinary Gem in Calgary – 10 Foot Henry! If you’re visiting Calgary, you have to stop by 10 Foot Henry — this place is an absolute must! The overall dining experience was incredible from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and full of great energy, and the service was top-notch. Now, let’s talk about the food — hands down some of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Their Cacio e Pepe pasta is a classic done perfectly, but the real standout for me was their house-made kale and pistachio pesto pasta. It’s one of the most unique and flavorful pastas I’ve ever tried — fresh, vibrant, and cooked to perfection. Every appetizer we tried was fantastic, especially the charred cabbage (a must-try!) and the beet salad, both bursting with flavor. And the desserts? Absolutely amazing — the perfect way to end an unforgettable meal. I’d recommend 10 Foot Henry 100%. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot deserves a place at the top of your Calgary food list. 🍝✨

We came here for our anniversary and it completely surpassed my expectations! The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was incredible, and upon presentation, was described to us in great detail. As a vegetarian, I also really appreciate the veggie focused menu!

A phenomenal first meal in Canada. Upscale service, food, and presentation in a very casual vibes environment. I can confidently say this is the best varied presentation of delicious vegetables I've had in my life. They aced every dish, and dispelled all notions that fiber needs to be an afterthought on your plate. This has encouraged me to level up my vegetable game at home when I cook. The Pickled Melon with Proscuitto (or whatever cut it was) was my favorite dish. Insane to me, because I'm a known Melon hater. They made me love it. The carrots were also dynamite. Smoky and rich. I hope to come back to Canada just to eat here again. All the staff was lovely, helpful, fast and super great at suggestions. Lyndy was our server, but everyone pitched in and gave my family of 6 a fantastic time.

I took my wife here for her birthday dinner and was very impressed with everything here. The food is absolutely delicious and I'd say 95% of the vegetable dishes can be made vegan which is great for me but the staff go the extra step by offering the non-vegan items from the dish on the side for others ar the table. The service here is outstanding, friendly and helpful plus they don't rush you at all afterwards. Love that! It can get quite loud in the restaurant and some of the tables are quite close together which can make things feel a bit cramped but not a deal breaker. My only suggestion would be some dedicated vegan dishes with tofu or something would be great on the mains side of things. We will definitely be back though.

Came for a solo lunch while visiting Calgary! Everything was delicious, the pickled melon blew my mind. 😂 in the best way. The cacio e pepe was literally the best pasta I’ve ever had. Laura was an amazing server! 😊 I cant wait to visit again and explore more of the menu! ❤️

Delicious dinner here at Ten Foot Henry. All the dishes we had were great. The tomatoes with whipped feta and herb, roasted carrots, tuna crude, and gigli kale pesto. Service was also nice and friendly. I would love to return and try their other dishes.

Breakfast restaurant
Hathaway's Diner is a cozy spot in north Edmonton that offers classic breakfast and lunch dishes in a charming country-kitchen setting. The diner is known for its delicious, hearty meals and generous portions, evoking a sense of nostalgia with its old-world comfort food. Regulars recommend trying the various types of Egg Benny and the Sunrise Skillet. The diner prides itself on serving homemade quality dishes with quick and efficient service.
This is honestly one of my favourite breakfast places in the city. The decor inside is super fun, the food is delish (most especially their pies!!!) my favourite pie is dunkaroo but it was sold out the last time we went. The woman who I assume is one of the owners is extremely kind and the last time we went she gave my daughter a free little backpack because she was well behaved. The service is always great. The only downside is it can be quite busy and it’s not the biggest restaurant ever, but I’ve never had to wait longer than 15 minutes or so. Highly recommend.

Uncover the magic of this hidden gem diner in YEG, where the ambience is refreshingly retro. Took the staff's expert advice and ordered their standout dishes, chicken rice soup and pistachio pineapple cream pie, a winning combination for brunch date. Great price. Great customer service. Great food. Clean washroom.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. I personally had the Hathways Muffin's, other had the open faced turkey sandwich, kids french toast and classic eggs Benny. As always didn't take a picture of the food because we dug in way to fast. Incredible food! Totally worth the price. Service was fast, and friendly and Sydney had all the answers. Shout out to her! The restaurant is a tight setting, but that is so they can maximize on how many people they can serve. And when they consistently have a line out the door I dont blame them. Got some pie to go for me and my pup, and I cant wait to get home and dig in.

A charming local breakfast place with delightful cream pies! I got their daily special of Stuffed French Toast with blueberry and lemon, it was wonderful! A bit noisy during the rush, but quick, fresh, and tasty. So nice to have these neighbourhood gems around and thriving! We each got a slice of pie to go, since we’re so full.

Went to this very chich classic diner style cafe. “Hathaway Diner”. The location was really really out of the way for us but the drive was worth it. Located in the heart of a community and off the beaten path, you will find this very friendly and hip modern diner. The menu was pretty extensive and they serve breakfast and lunch all day. My daughter was craving the eggs Benedict as she had never tried it before. The eggs were perfectly poached as described by the waitress. The hash browns were also nicely seared to perfection. I had the beef dip as it was calling my name. The bun came pillowy soft and the meat was delicious. The dip was sublime, almost wanted to chuck it like soup. Beef barley soup that came with it and was also delicious but was overshadowed by the beef dip. Definitely recommend trying this place out. Lots of fun and delicious meal and great atmosphere. I can totally understand the rave reviews after trying it out.

Lovely breakfast place with friendly staff and owner. The ladies welcome you with smile as well as the owner. Most important thing for me is how I am welcomed to the restaurant. And this place is perfect for me. Designed nicely. Atmosphere is warm for you to feel comfortable. I would visit here in the future.

This is a nice diner that serves great food. It's quite cramped inside though. We heard good things about this place and overall were very happy. The service was excellent. Food was good too but prices are definitely on the high side. Will have to return to decide if the quality makes up for the prices charged.

Stopped by Hathaway’s Diner on a Sunday and had a fantastic experience. It wasn’t too busy, so we easily got a couple of seats by the window—a great spot to enjoy our meal. The service was excellent—attentive, fast, and welcoming. I had the Corned Beef Hash Skillet with sunny-side-up eggs, and it was everything a good skillet should be—simple, hearty, and delicious. My wife had an omelet, and she enjoyed it just as much. The food was straightforward but done exceptionally well. The highlight of our meal was the Pistachio Pineapple Pie—such a unique and delightful treat! Perfectly balanced flavors and not overly sweet. Hathaway’s Diner isn’t a big place, but it has a cozy charm that makes you feel right at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great diner food with excellent service!

Pfanntastic Pannenkoek Haus is a must-visit, family-friendly restaurant in Calgary that offers an authentic Dutch dining experience. Located at 2439 54th Avenue SW, this locally owned spot is renowned for its sweet and savory versions of crêpe-style pancakes known as pannenkoeken.
Tried this place for the first time for brunch. We shared a combination of savoury and sweet and they were all good! I recommend trying the traditional savoury pancakes as they are great. We also had the potato and cheese and it was extremely cheesy and delicious but definitely for sharing given its size and cheesiness! Very reasonable prices as well.

Ive been coming to this place for years and it never disappoints. The portions are big, and I it’s easy to split dishes amongst friends. (They split it for you with no extra charge). Some of the savoury plates can air on being too salty, but overall delicious and worth your time/money.

The staff was so nice. Got the recommended potato, onion, bacon pancake. It was served with sour cream but I likked it better with the Danish syrup. I was alone. If I had someone with me, I could have shared savory and sweet one. The serving was huge, had to bring home a portion.

Had an amazing brunch experience! The ambiance felt straight out of a cozy European café — warm, inviting, and relaxed. Their vegetarian omelet was the best I’ve had in a long time — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I also tried a unique twist on pancakes that I’ve never seen anywhere else — creative, delicious, and beautifully presented. On top of it all, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. It's definitely a place worth coming back to!

🇳🇱🥞 Panenkoek: A Taste of Holland You’ll Love 🥞🇳🇱 What a gem! I tried the Strawberry Special and it was absolutely delicious — the perfect balance of sweet, fresh, and spiced. You can tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients. The Dutch-style pancakes are thin, big, and full of flavor. The cozy, European vibe makes you feel like you're enjoying breakfast in a little corner café in Amsterdam. Service was friendly and fast, and everything came out warm and beautifully presented. Great spot for brunch, a relaxed breakfast, or just treating yourself. Panenkoek is a must-visit if you love unique and authentic flavors. I’ll definitely be back!

Nestled in a historic building, Vendome is a trendy eatery in Calgary known for its Mediterranean-style cuisine, offering an array of pasta dishes and salads. As one of Calgary's oldest coffee shops, it is a community favorite that sources the best local ingredients for its freshly baked pastries and breakfast, lunch, and dinner items.
We tried this brunch restaurant a few weeks ago and were very impressed with the quality of food, service and atmosphere. The design of the decor is classy elegant and yet inviting to all. The staff is very and helpful. I’m sorry that I forgot to take a picture of the feature French toast hot chocolate for the month of February. It looked great and tasted delicious! We had the blue crab omelette and blue crab eggs Benedict. Very filling and the taste can’t be described… it’s an experience. Flavourful not salty just delicious Thank you to the staff our server Blaise and manager who made our experience a great one.

The decor here is cute and nice. I enjoyed my time here tho I ordered vendome breakfast which was some basic items and I didn’t think it was special. Potatoes were crispy and good tho. I see pictures of a shakshuka similar dish so I wish I got that instead. Overall not bad but not special food.

Thought we would give this a second try. We ordered the BBQ Brisket Hash and the Cured Salmon Eggs Benedict. The speed of service was excellent, presentation was great, poached egg was nearly perfectly done and brisket was tender. Flavour didn’t seem to come through, and the potatoes were bland. Food didn’t strike us to have an enticing aroma, nor did it have any flavours unique to this restaurant. We didn’t immediately jump at the opportunity to box up our food and take it home. Calgary has many good brunch eats, and we would go elsewhere next time.

A really cute brunch space with friendly and accommodating staff. We did not wait very long for a table on a Saturday morning. Unfortunately, the food was very sub par for the price and the rating for this place. I had high expectations that were not met. The eggs Benedict was on crust less toast and the French toast was not something we expected at all. It tasted like deep fried batter, although the peach topping was really good! My friend enjoyed her breakfast bowl but again, for the price it wasn’t amazing. Overall, expensive, small sizes, and average taste.
Chelsey — Google review
This was my first time here in several years and it didn't disappoint. It's the second time YYC hot chocolate fest brought me this way and my first time dining it and I can't wait to come back! The espresso martini was the best I've ever had. My best friend and I got the grilled cheese and it was amazing. The French fries and onion rings are off the hook. Service was decently slow but it was really busy so I didn't mind at all. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.
Raeleigh B — Google review
Honestly I was really disappointed. I came in with standard brunch expectations (I didn't expect to be blown away or anything), but I was just... Disappointed. We came here because I had a gift card (and I'd heard good things), but I definitely would have been pretty upset if I had to pay full price. I got the lamb kofta eggs benny, and my partner got the chorizo scramble. We also shared a chai latte & regular drip coffee. The eggs benny: it felt like they served me one super old benny, and one they made fresh or something? I asked for medium poached, but one of the bennies the egg was hard poached (see pic) and the bread it was on was rock hard. Like I could not cut through it with my knife. And when I did finally break through, it was like a cracker - it snapped apart instead of being cut (and made a super loud sound, I was concerned for the plate). It was also hard to pick up with my fork, like I could not stab it because it was so hard. The other benny was like a night and day difference - actual medium egg and soft(er) bread. The portion of lamb was also really small? Like I get that lamb is expensive (and everything is expensive these days), but it was like the size of half of my thumb for $21? It just didn't feel like good value. The potatoes were also pretty plain. I love potatoes, so I'm happy with some plain fried baby potatoes, but they weren't anything special. The hollandaise was nice - made with Boursin cheese. The chorizo scramble: most parts were good as individual pieces (i.e., scrambled eggs were good, sourdough was good, etc.), but the chorizo, which should be the highlight in a chorizo scramble, was disappointing. My partner said it was "dry and tasted like nothing. Might have just been overcooked ground pork?" Also felt like low value for the price ($21). One slice of bread topped with a bit of meat and scrambled eggs? I legitimately think I could make this one at home for less effort, better value, and better taste. The chai latte was good, but nothing special. Tasted kinda like they used Tazo chai syrup. The drip coffee was coffee. The service was really friendly and on point tho. And the location/space was nice.
Caroline L — Google review
Good dinner spot. Nice local ingredients that has been crafted into Mediterranean favourites. Very good vegetarian options and comfortable, cozy and trendy space. I had the mushroom moussaka, and while it was very flavourful, I would say that the portion was too small and too expensive. The geek yogurt lemon cheesecake for dessert was amazing and I would definitely recommend! Overall pretty good spot for a fun, tasty dinner!

Amazing food and wonderful welcoming service! Everyone at my table was raving about how delicious their plates were. Fresh seasonal fruit is common in the dishes and it was lovely. Marching was our server and you can tell he is very passionate about his job here. Friendly and attentive. If anyone in your party is gluten sensitive they have a delicious gluten free crepe with fresh fruit. I ordered a traditional breakfast with a side of avocado. Everyone loved their lattes as well.

We had a lovely breakfast here today! Everything was delicious — from the fresh salad to the hearty waffles and sausage. The soup was comforting, the coffee was excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. I only managed to take a photo of my salad — my husband ordered waffles with sausage and a soup with salad too, but unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to snap a photo. It was so good he couldn’t wait even a minute and dove right in! We’re definitely coming back more often. Highly recommend!

First off the food was amazing, we came for my friends birthday breakfast, i’ll be coming back for the food but Elzbieta gave horrible service. we didn’t even sit down for 5 minutes, and she was already asking us to order and rushing us, didn’t make any eye contact when we were communicating, granted it was busy- she said that our food would take 40 minutes so she insisted we should order now in a very passive aggressive tone. our friend didn’t even order a drink and stuck with water because she felt so rushed as the drinks were $6.50 each (little expensive for how the drinks came out) at the end, we asked her for the bill and she didn’t even let us tell her we wanted it split a certain way, she just walked away without any confirmation that she heard us , and then she comes back we let her know, and she told us in a weird tone that “we should of told her earlier” we did apologize but she just didn’t say anything to it. basically, we were rushed and didn’t get to order what we wanted because of that. it was our first time going and we really did enjoy the food and will be coming back, hopefully to be served by someone else next time.

Hostess was reliably distant in a European stepmother kind of way. Server was awesome. It’s rare that I enjoy something as much as I did the first or second time but today was an exception. This place makes the perfect waffle, perfect texture, beautiful fruit combo including kiwi berries ( is this a lab fruit?) the whipped cream is sweet but not too sweet, it’s exactly the right amount of sweet and reliably so. Also whatever maple syrup is served with this delicious waffle is next level. I recommend you pour out the whole little dish of maple syrup so it bathes one half of your waffle from the bottom up. Why? Because this baby does not need the maple syrup but it is fantastic with maple syrup. So this way you get two fantastic food experiences, one with syrup and one without. I ordered mine with a side of eggs, wherever they source their eggs is good quality. I think one of the secrets to this place is the sourcing. I only eat this waffle on very rare special occasions, maybe once a year and it has not disappointed!
Ben S — Google review
I love this place. I’ve been a handful of times and always enjoyed what I ordered. The buckwheat crepe was delicious today. The menu quite literally says it’s a scratch kitchen and wait times could be longer but it’s so worth it.
Madison F — Google review
My friend came in to pick up his food. Server Elzbieta’s service was horrendous, extremely unprofessional and disappointing. She singled him out over something unrelated to the restaurant (a parking citation he had issued in a previous job, long before this visit). She brought it up repeatedly, made him feel uncomfortable, and clearly let a personal issue affect her professionalism. She told him to wait outside after ordering, ignored his requests for water, handed him his food rudely without cutlery, and only gave utensils when he asked again. Two customers even walked out after witnessing what happened with him It’s disappointing because the food here is actually good, but service is just as important as the meal. No customer should ever feel targeted, embarrassed, or disrespected because of something outside the restaurant. I really hope management takes this seriously and ensures all staff treat guests with professionalism.

OEB Breakfast Co. in Edmonton is a breakfast paradise that offers a creative and high-quality menu, featuring unique dishes like the Gold Digga breakfast poutine and classic options such as eggs benedict. They only allow reserve during the week. So, we waited for almost 30 minutes to get a table by 11:28am. The food I ordered was lobster scramble poutines. It's worthy to have at least once, including lobster and many shrimps. My two friends agreed that this was the best option compared to theirs. The service was nice and efficient. The time restriction was 90 minutes, but it was good enough for us.

Quite a surprise in downtown Edmonton. Went in for a breakfast after someone suggested we try this place out. It was within walking distance of our hotel...maybe 5 or 10 minutes. We were promptly created and were sat right away. We went through the menu and were not sure what to get because everything sounded amazing. I settled on the lobster Scramble and my partner had the Montreal Smoaked Meat Benny. It was the best thing I have had in a long time. I will be going out of my way to find another location or return here next time I am in Edmonton.

🍳 OEB Breakfast Co. – Kelly Ramsey Review 🥐 Visited on a Sunday morning with our group of four — as expected, the place was packed! Pro tip: definitely use Yelp to get on the waitlist about an hour ahead. I checked in early, so even though there was a 45-minute quote, we only waited about 15 once we arrived. ✨ Ambience & Service: The vibe here is great — stylish, lively, and full of energy. Service was friendly and prompt throughout our meal. A solid start with some good coffee and the premium orange juice, which was fresh and flavorful. 🍽️ Food Rundown: • I had the Blue Crab Eggs Benedict — served on a croissant, which was a nice touch. The crab was tasty, but I did get a small bit of shell, and the portion size wasn’t huge. Overall, decent but not amazing. • My wife ordered the French Toast and wasn’t a fan — it had a hint of orange flavor that didn’t quite land for her. Our son finished it off and thought it was okay, just not a standout. • Our son also had the Traditional Eggs Benny (also on a croissant), which he enjoyed. 🥔 Worth Noting: We’ve been to another OEB location before and had their breakfast poutine, which we all preferred over what we had this time around. 👍 Final Thoughts: Still a great brunch spot with a fun atmosphere and solid service. Might just choose different menu items next time. Worth the visit — just plan ahead if you’re coming on the weekend!

Oeb used to be my absolute favorite brunch spot which I chose to splurge on as a broke university student, even after the raise in prices with the pandemic. But the last two years prices have continued to increase while portions have majorly shrunk. Confirmed with the staff that these were properly portioned sides of there potatoes, 17 mostly half size potatoes. Ordered two sides and they both fit in one box with my sauce. Sadly can’t return again.

Wow do I love this place. I went on the morning of 20th and got an avocado toast which was amazing, their matcha is also one of the best I've tasted. The place is gorgeous with beautiful mugs and plates. Every single staff that checked on me were all very lovely and happy. I did not see a single frown. I always try the Eggs Benedict at any new restaurant and Oeb did not disappoint. I had the Korean Bulgogi Benny and every bite was heaven. Paired with a few of their beyond delicious cocktails, and it was the best brunch I've had in a very, very long time. My dining partner and I have decided it will be our go to place to dine before every play we see at the Citadel Theater (4min walk). Cannot rave enough about the service. Kind, polite, and absolute gems to interact with, and helpful with menu choices.

Maven is a standout brunch spot in Calgary, offering a refreshing departure from typical brunch fare with its unique and meticulously crafted menu. The restaurant prides itself on using quality ingredients to elevate the brunch experience, resonating with those seeking something beyond the ordinary. Decorated with whimsical decor and an abundance of plants, Maven also houses a plant store and cafe called Maven Plants.
Popped in to Maven for the first time on a whim. I love that they are offering a unique selection of menu items. Very refreshing not to have to fall back on 2 eggs and bacon with wonderbread as per every other brunch place on Earth. I opted for the Birria Hash and Spicy Crab toast. The Crab Toast presents as a kind of omlette draped over crispy toast soaked in butter. I devoured it before I thought to take a photo. The hash was excellent as well and made it into the photo above. The food here is delicious and fresh and obviously prepared with care and attention to detail. A quick note on the service - Piper was friendly and welcoming. She demonstarated a skill which I find is a lost art in restaurants post-covid: witty banter. It's rare these days to interact with a server who knows how to entertain at the table. Otherwise the service was prompt and efficient, but not overbearing. The barista was also involved and delivered my drink, looks like she was running all the coffee herself which is a nice touch. The decor is fun to look at and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. I had a bit of deja vu regarding the facade of the bar and realized I dined in the location before when it was the restaurant known as Farm (RIP). Nice to see that some of the history of the location remains with a fresh take. I will be back for sure! Thanks for a great brunch.

I really enjoy this breakfast/brunch spot, it's become a go-to when I visit Calgary. My family always recommends it, and for good reason. The menu features a creative Asian fusion twist on classic breakfast and lunch dishes, and the flavors are consistently impressive. This time, we ordered five different dishes plus one sweet item to share, and everything was delicious. Each plate was beautifully presented and had its own unique flavor profile, making it easy to sample a bit of everything. What made the experience even better was the warm, welcoming service. My cousin joined us with her newborn, and the staff went out of their way to be accommodating and kind. It's little touches like that that make a place memorable. Highly recommend this spot if you're in Calgary and looking for something a bit different but super satisfying for brunch.

First time in Maven and I've got to say I'm pretty impressed with what's going on. Service is good and the kitchen was very accommodating. Friend and I had two dishes: Spicy Crab Fried Rice and Still In Manila subbed w/ Salmon. What I appreciated: - They offer sawsawan, sambal, and atchara--essential accoutrements to southeast Asian cuisine. Filipino restaurants, from what i've seen lately, have forgone this in their menus and I think it's a damn shame. - Crispy Garlic Fried Rice. It was crispy, and nice. - They aren't afraid to get spicy. Things that could be better: - Food was tasty but a little two-dimensional - E.g. the Spicy Crab Fried Rice had everything going for it, until it didn't. Saving grace was the server offering atchara and other pickled sides, which gave the dish the necessary acidity to make it work. - My dish, the Still In Manila, didn't have the onion tomato sawsawan, which really was a shame. The atchara was good, but onion and tomato sawsawan is iconic and a mainstay--especially if they use some sort of in house vinegar. I'm sure that with the sawsawan, it would have added much more to the dish, but as it was, the garlic rice lacked salt, and overall the dish lacked a bit of a kick. The sambal that I requested saved it, though, but would be amazing to have a chili vinegar sukang sawsawan, too. Overall, 3.5 to soft 4. Would love to give them another shot though!

Maven has probably become one of my top 5 brunch places in Calgary. I’ve been here 3 times now and it has not disappointed. The restaurant is bigger than it appears as it stretches out towards the back (which I believe is a cafe area). The menu itself is really cool too because the kitchen manager or chef has designed dishes to reflect some of the places he has travelled to in Asia. Seriously so much flavour in every bite and the texture is just chef’s kiss. You have to get the fry bread if you come here too!

We loved this place. We came here for breakfast on a Wednesday morning and it was very busy. I had the best latte ever. We shared two breakfast plates there were so many amazing dishes on the menu we had a hard time choosing. I highly recommend the food here. We will be returning.

Wandering through 17th Avenue we happened by Maven for brunch. We were in an experimental mood to try something a little bit different for breakfast. We got the My Breakfast in Tokyo and the Singapore Style Pork Congee. I would say the congee was quite pleasant, it had rich flavours and the use of the dried pork lardons was a nice touch. The chili oil provide, gave a nice balance to the dish that needed a bit of spice to elevate the delicate flavours. The only issue I had was with the yauhjagwai should really have been on the side, since by the time it got to us the congee was slightly too cold and the yauhjagwai was soggy. The main issue was with the salmon dish. I would say the miso soup was one of the worst miso soups we had. It was SOUR. I understand maybe changing it up with a bit of citrus, but the underlying flavour of miso soup should be dashi and miso, but all we could taste was CITRUS. The salmon was also not as flavourful as we thought it would be. I would understand if it was supposed to be a poke style dish, but cooked egg with raw/likely marinated raw salmon is a weird combination. Among some other execution flaws in the salmon dish was a distinct imbalance in the pickle flavours of the radish. The spinach was way too dry and it had no flavour. It was honestly disappointing for $24.50. I probably wouldn't grab the flat white here again as well. The service was a bit slow as well, since food was dying on the pick up counter with people walking by. I would not visit this place again. The regular breakfast/brunch looked a lot better l, so maybe give that a go, but I would venture into any of the other dishes or even coffee.

We decided to try the menu after seeing it. We started with the Spicy Crab Fried Rice, which had a delicious Malaysian-inspired rice flavour. The Chilli Crab Toast was surprisingly similar to the rice. The waiting time can be long, and the food might take a while to arrive. However, since we were in a group, we had a great time chatting and entertaining each other while we waited. Overall, it was a enjoyable experience.

My first visit was amazing and I absolutely loved it. My experience this time was not good, and the meal was disappointing. I ordered the butternut squash pasta with Chinese sausage and it’s just barely edible. The sausages were burnt, hard and was impossible to chew. Maven’s done great before with other fusion options but this one is disappointing, the chef clearly doesn’t know how to make Chinese sausage.

Melissa's MisSteak is a well-established restaurant in Banff, known for its cozy log cabin atmosphere and delicious food. The restaurant has been a local favorite for over 30 years and offers a diverse menu, including breakfast until 4pm, lunch options like burgers and sandwiches, and Canadian mains for dinner. The historic building housing the restaurant adds to its charm. While it may feel old school, the nostalgic appeal and upstairs bar with affordable drink specials make it worth a visit.
We came here for lunch on a weekday around 1 PM, and the place still had plenty of seats, which was nice. I ordered the Prime Rib Benny and it was so delicious! Instead of the usual English muffin, they used Yorkshire pudding, which had a slightly crispy shell and a fluffy, buttery inside. The beef was juicy and soaked into the pudding, and with the runny egg yolk on top, everything just came together perfectly🤤 I asked for the shredded potatoes to be crispy, and they came out golden and crunchy, exactly how I like them. My partner got the fish and chips, and we were both really surprised by how big the fish was. It was a whole fillet, nicely fried, and the inside was still moist and soft, not dry at all. Definitely something we’d recommend. The staff were friendly, and the prices felt pretty reasonable for the portion sizes and quality. Overall, it was a really nice experience!

We've been here many times over the years. We know all the food is top notch, the food prices and portions are the best. Our waiter was amazing as well. Its a busy spot but the food comes out quite quickly. Apparently they have the best French onion soup, I never tried it was it was a rave at our table. And those ribs on the appetizer menu are HUGE! We definitely will be coming back

Melissa’s MisSteak in Banff was a great breakfast spot overall! The restaurant was spotless and smelled amazing when we walked in, which made for a really nice first impression. Our server — we didn’t catch his name — was awesome. Super friendly, easygoing, and made the experience better. We had a window seat with a stunning mountain view, which was honestly one of the highlights of the visit. The food was solid. The hash browns were tasty and crispy, and the sausage was okay — not bad, just a bit mediocre compared to everything else. The scrambled eggs, though, were a bit of a mixed bag for me. They were dense, a little gelatinous, and had a strange texture that threw me off. Not terrible, but not my favorite. Overall, I’d still call it an above-average breakfast spot. The service, view, and atmosphere were fantastic, and most of the food was delicious. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 just because the meal wasn’t quite exceptional, but I’d still recommend it if you’re in Banff!

Was our last night for dinner out visiting, and thought a good steak house would hit the spot. It did but I wasn't blown away to be honest. It wasn't bad at all so please dont think im saying that. it was just good not amazing great. Service from tosh was awesome. The reason I gave 4 stars is mashed potatoes seem like something from school cafeteria steak was cooked perfectly but didn't have much flavor, still tender though. The spaghetti squash was delicious. This is Just the experience we received .

We were seated promptly and given beautiful window seats. The waitress ( KIM ) was very knowledgeable and honest…. The steaks and lobster and Yorkshire tail were awesome!!! Great job everyone.

Nice spot for lunch. Service is good and food is great. Came by between 2-3pm so there was not a long wait between orders. I had the buffalo starter, steak and chips main and the brownie for dessert. Worth a visit!
Bradley K — Google review
The steak was delicious, with just the right tenderness that even the kids enjoyed. The side dishes were also very flavorful. The pork ribs were prepared by frying, and adding a bit of lemon juice for seasoning was just right perfect to go with a glass of beer. The lobster was also well-prepared. Next time I’d like to go back and try their brunch.

This place has become a staple for us when visiting Calgary. We get the Soul in a Bowl every time, it’s delicious. The decor of the restaurant is amazing and I love the dishes they serve the food in. It’s the perfect spot for brunch, and they also have very clean bathrooms (something I always appreciate but don’t often find)

Super busy, but it was a Sunday, which is understandable! I ordered the avocado toast, while two friends order the other two dishes. The avocado toast was delicious! I chose to add the cold-smoked salmon, which added a nice smoky taste to it! The flavour that I noticed the most other than the avocado was the tomato jam. Think tomato with a touch of sweetness. Not unwelcome, and it helped balance out the rest of the savoury flavour. The breakfast gnocchi was creamy and delicious, mixing the yolk into the sauce was a good choice, as it added a nice extra flavour to the sauce. The crepe was sweet and the almond added a nice extra flavour of nuttiness to balance the sweetness!

Kind of disappointing for the money paid. No one at our table was super excited about their breakfast. The portions (in general) were on the smaller side. The service wasn’t too bad. Very small, intimate restaurant.

Very busy place but it’s Sunday morning. It’s very loud, so if you don’t like crowded and loud places - this place is not for you. Staff were very polite and friendly even for a craziness that they had! Food was good. It’s hard to get a spot without reservation, so it’s better to pre-book a table. Overall, great experience!
Alya — Google review
This place has gone downhill. It used to be one of the best brunch spots in the city. It is now mediocre, at best. Portions and quality have decreased. The eggs and drip coffee are still very good. The remainder of the staple items are a shadow of what they once were. Potatoes are nothing special, any home cook can make as good or better. The bacon used to be a proper thick cut piece of bacon. Now it’s barely thicker than the average pre-cut, pre-packaged, store bought bacon you get from big chain grocers. Sad to see this place go down hill like this. They’ve expanded and lost their quality control. It’s marginally better than Denny’s

Urban Diner is a cozy eatery located in a strip mall, offering an extensive menu of classic comfort foods and all-day breakfast options. Whether you're exploring the 124 Street shopping district or looking for a unique brunch spot, this diner has something for everyone. From apple pie French toast to chicken schnitzel waffles and huevos rancheros with vegetarian chili, the diverse menu caters to various tastes.
Wanted to check this place out and have a meal on the patio but unfortunately it was a rainy day and patio was closed. Inside gives a warm feeling of a cosy diner. Place was bustling with people but we were able to promptly get a table. As they did not offer halal meats, we were looking for seafood options for brunch. While options were limited, for those that are not particular about meats there were plenty of options. HUEVOS, Veggie Benny and DUTCH POFFERTJES was what we ordered and they were all good. Latte was ok not the best but it did the job for that morning coffee fix. Servers were friendly and prompt. Overall experience was good.

The food and proportions are generally good. Nice installations. The restrictive menu and scheduled availability of certain food items is a little frustrating - note that I have only ever eaten breakfast here. I would have given 4 stars for food, but the chocolate milk seemed to be diluted with plain milk. I went with a larger group, 9 people in all, and didn't make a reservation - there were enough free table to accommodate our group upon arrival. Our server's attitude made it seem like we were being an inconvenience requiring 2 tables to be pulled together. Also, we were never informed about the specials (posted on a board high above the counter) - overall just a lack of consideration for the client.

We stopped in at this little gem on a whim while in the area. It was great idea, excellent food and atmosphere. We talked with the wait staff and she took pride in telling us that they had been in business at the location for over 21 years. We didn't have a chance to deep dive into the food and drink menu but our lunch was delicious. Next time in the area we will be sure to explore again.

In the past, I had visited Urban Diner and had just been "sufficiently whelmed" at best but my most recent visit was fantastic. The Eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly and the service was fast, friendly, and attentive. Definitely check it out if you're in the area or give it another shot if you've been in the past and haven't been back for a while.

The Urban Diner remains one of the most consistent spots in Edmonton for a unique vision of breakfast and Diner inspired dishes. I had the Classic Breakfast with 2 medium poached eggs, savory hash browns, an amazingly plump and flavorful pork sausage, and an artisan whole grain toast with jam. My friend ordered the same with Urban's famous meatloaf instead of sausage - perfection as always. If you've never tried before, how's the time for a confort food experience!

We sat on the patio on the last sunny day of the summer (fall). Ruben description had a sauce I didn't think I'd like, so they exchanged it with aoli. Kenebec fries!!!! Love em. Caesar was so so. 2 washrooms, one said "urinal inside." Great diplomacy lol.

I live close to Urban Diner so it’s often a go-to for a reasonably priced, good brunch/lunch. However the last two times I was there the service was horrible. I brought my mother for her birthday, an older lady with grey hair served us. She was borderline impolite, my mother asked for a side syrup with her French toast, the server said it already comes with syrup on top and just didn’t bring any. Then, today, I tried again, I brought my sister for brunch. And I don’t think I can, in good sense, come here again. Our server Shauna, was likely the worst I’ve ever encountered. We didn’t see her often and when we did she was curt and disinterested. Would start walking away before I even finished my answer. Had other servers bring us our food. We sat with dirty our dishes in front of us for over 25 minutes until we asked another waitress for our bill. I’m sorry, I felt zero tip and won’t be coming back.

Mediterranean Omelette: Loaded with spinach, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, and creamy feta, this omelette is fresh, hearty, and full of flavor—great if you’re craving something light but filling. Dutch Benedicts: A tasty twist on the classic—perfectly poached eggs, savory layers, and rich hollandaise make this a comforting and indulgent brunch pick.

Had a terrible experience, waited for over 20 minutes before the waitress refilled my coffee then another 20 minutes before I got the box for the food and the bill. The food was average, but I think the terrible service really ruined the experience. Parking QR also did not work and ended up with a parking ticket, making an already over priced meal even more expensive. Update: have sent email as requested, yet to hear back from restaurant.

All in all great food, really enjoyed my meal i got the Boer's Omelette meal and it was fantastic. Only gripe is i got a french press coffee and it was luke warm at best was stone cold before I made it through the first cup ... but tho cold it was still enjoyable so still gets a 5 star cause i will defintly come again to try more of the dishes.

Dairy Lane Cafe is a modern and cozy eatery that serves farm-to-table Canadian cuisine, including grass-fed burgers and brunch options. Originally opened in the 1950s as Milk Bar, it has evolved into Calgary's oldest restaurant, still renowned for its great burgers, traditional milkshakes, and tasty breakfast offerings. Situated on West Hillhurst's main street, this cafe has earned a reputation for serving some of the best breakfast meals in Calgary while prioritizing ingredients from Alberta sources.
Naturally gluten free should be the goal, these guys get it! I had the delicious fried buttermilk chicken, nice and crispy, and absolutely packs the heat with flavour, 10/10 best gluten free (or any fried chicken) I've ever had! The honey sauce they sneak on there is an amazing touch. Sweet and savory gets my vote any time! Staff were very nice and attentive, the space is a little tight but understandable considering the history of this business and the culture it's brought, if it's not broke don't fix it and i love that. I love the aesthetic! Oh, and don't leave without having a milkshake! The salted caramel was amazing, brought memories back from when a cafe used to make similar shakes, but closed down unfortunately, brought a tear or two. Price is a bit up there, but is to be expected, for me and my wife to have a main, share a shake and a desert was 80+ including gratuity. If you are gluten free/ celiac this is a must visit, We will be checking out breakfast soon to try the eggs Benny!

We went here because it was in my book that I read and honestly, I just thought it was OK. It’s kind of away from downtown area if you are staying downtown. I had the omelette. My mom had the French toast. All delicious but the service was kind of slow even though she was super nice and the food was just OK. You can’t make reservations, which is annoying, you have to just show up and hope a spot is available or put your name on the list which is what we did and we were called 30 minutes later. We got to sit outside, which was nice because it was a nice day! I feel like the spot is more for the locals in the area that can just walk here. I thought it was good but not great.

Its been many, many years since I have come to dairy lane, but its been a place that has always stayed in my mind as somewhere that was an icon. I came here for dinner with my husband and it was exactly as I remember, an icon. I got the weekly special, the last one to be exact, and it was a brisket sandwich. It was one of the best brisket sandwiches I've ever had. The meat was perfectly seasoned and beyond tender. My husband got the bison burger, and it was so good I almost traded my brisket sandwich for it. Everything was super high quality, the service was amazing, and they have an adorable patio with comfortable seating. I will return here again, hopefully on burger night!!

Today I went for brunch alone. It was cold, a little windy and a little dreary. Luckily, I snagged an outside table immediately beneath a heater. I got a Large (¢50) Matcha Latte ($5.75) Sweatened (¢50) and a Mexicali Breakfast Bowl ($19.75) with bacon ($7). As you can tell, there was quite a bit of hidden costs I wasn’t informed about. While I assume some places have upgrades, it just would be nice to know the price of things before hand? The matcha was decent, but nothing special. A hot latte was great on a cold morning like today. As for the Mexicali bowl…. I unfortunately didn’t like it. My hash browns were barely warm and at the very bottom they were swimming with the pico de gallo juice. The whole dish tasted like it was lacking flavour, especially salt. Even the hot sauce couldn’t save it. Which is strange considering it LOOKED like it had flavour. I think what could have given this dish more life is tortilla chips and/or toss the hash in cumin, chili powder and chipotle. And the hashbrowns needed to be hot. The bacon was delicious, but it alone costed $7 💀 I wasn't informed this when I was asked if I wanted bacon. I would definitely go back. The staff were awesome. But I would for sure order something different.

this is a diner and truck stop that is near Inglewood and a wonderful gem filled with character, affordable and delicious food, and a staff that will make you want to come back over and over. the menu has a lot of interesting items, pictured is the Flapper Pie which is kind of like a custard covered with the mountain of meringue/marshmallow. probably the best pancakes in town and something for the Young generation and those who enjoy classic home cooked meals. the pies are obviously amazing and the milkshake is fabulous. daily specials, huge portions, fair prices and cool decor. yes it can be a little bit dingy but it's part of the atmosphere, the food is totally worth your time. the second thing you're going to talk about when you leave this place is what you are going to have when you come back.

Stopped in at this iconic Calgary diner on Saturday morning... Was immediately greeted by a friendly server that asked me if I would like coffee to start as she directed me towards an open booth. This place is very spacious and quite unique with the decor in mind. The food is what you would imagine from a Truckstop Diner, just good short order items without the 'frills' at a reasonable price... I don't come down to this area of the city too often. However, if I am downtown early in the morning then I am happy to swing over to the Inglewood region and grab a good solid breakfast..... Bottom Line: 8.8 out of 10

This diner is absolutely beautiful on the inside, filled with Americana and an assortment of kitsch trinkets speckled throughout. A model train circles the diners on a track suspended below the ceiling. Despite it not being that busy when we walked in, at around 5:15, the two waitstaff seemed overwhelmed. When our order was being taken, we got ID'd, and when satisfied with our credentials, the waitress hurried off before we could continue ordering. It took an inordinate amount of time to get what we first ordered, two beers. At that point we put in our orders. Our waitress was curt, and seemed to be in a rush, cutting off my partner before he could finish stating his initial order. We didn't exactly feel welcome. Our food was finally served a little after 6. The poutine was quite good. The gravy seemed to be of the chicken and mushroom variety, and was well thickened. The crinkle cut fries were crisp and hot, and although the curds weren't large, they were plentiful, room temperature, and tastefully arranged. 8.5/10 on the poutine. My partner's club sandwich, on the other hand, was dry, and the side of crinkle cut fries were not hot. They were unapologetically lukewarm. 5/10. We finished eating at about 6:15 and were paid up by 6:25. It's possible that our waitress was simply in a bad mood, or having a bad day, but whatever the case, her tension was palpable, and it resulted us feeling like we shouldn't have come here. That, plus the food and drinks taking a very long time despite their simplicity and the waitress's fast pace. Maybe the result of understaffing?

If you want a true diner experience, this is the place to go. Atmosphere - Straight out of 1993. There is a cute train track that runs along the roof around the entire place. The music is full of fun classics Food - Very good and filling. Basics that you get at any diner but with a very fair price. Service - Probably one of the best in Calgary. They make you feel like family with all the terms of endearment. They check in on you, without annoying your time and they keep your cup filled. Highly recommend!

Diner
Step into a 1950's-style joint for a breakfast experience like no other at Bennys Breakfast Bar. This retro North American diner offers traditional breakfast plates, sandwiches, and diner staples alongside cocktails and shakes. The menu goes beyond the usual sausage and eggs with options like pierogies, avocado toast, Scandi lox and bagel, all of which can be made gluten-free.
My boyfriend and I were looking for a new breakfast place and were so enthused reading the owners replies to certain reviews that we wanted to see Bennys for ourselves. We were not disappointed at all! We were greeted and sat immediately right at the bar and saw everything in action. Kitchen staff worked so well together and I believe the manager/owner himself was the one topping the eggs off with their homemade hollandaise and making sure every plate was perfect before he sent them off. Our server was very friendly and other staff, although busy, always had a smile on their faces and open for a quick chat. We ordered the Bennys Bowl and the MacDaddy Bowl and it was very flavourful and delicious. The plates are big which makes it a bit deceiving that the portions are small, but neither of us could finish our meals and had to take it home. I feel like the bowls are good for two people. We sat next to a couple regulars and it was adorable that the servers remember their orders and punched it in beforehand. The welcoming staff and tasty homemade food perfectly match the welcoming old school diner atmosphere. Absolutely worth the drive! I was too full, but I can't wait to go back to try the Strawberry Milkshake.

Interesting retro themed diner in a commercial area in Calgary. Went there on a weekday morning. Seemed popular with a variety of folks. Service was fast, pleasant and punctual. The menu is interesting and varied. Food was very good quality, really enjoyed our meals. My only gripe is the prices were a bit on the high side for a diner, but I suppose with inflation nowadays it’s kind of like that everywhere. Summary: great spot, would recommend.

Great staff, fast service, wonderful food! I believe this is the best breakfast I've ever had and my husband loved it too. Gave him part of mine because it was huge and delicious. Love the choices.

Really good food and server was really friendly. Not overly expensive and thought overall menu was better than some of the competitors. Diner is really well set out and gives that 50s & 60s vibe especially with sounds playing in the background.

The food and service were excellent. This place is a popular destination. Weekends are extremely busy . The coffee is bottomless. $7.00 for two people. Reasonable prices . It's definitely worth visiting ☺️

I was on my way to Costco and saw this restaurant so I decided to stop in for breakfast and I'm so happy I did! Not only was the food delicious but the experience was fantastic as well. Watching a well oiled machine pump out breakfast on a Sunday morning was entertaining, I felt like I was in a live episode of Diners Drive-Ins and dives sitting at the breakfast bar. A very nostalgic feeling restaurant. My server was fantastic and she recommended the Wagyu Benedict which was incredible and very filling! I can't wait to return to try something else and bring some friends.

Went to the washroom and they cleared my table of the carafe of coffee and cream… felt like they were off putted when I declined to sit at the counter and requested a booth… im dining alone but my comfort matters no? The Albertan Eggs benny wasn’t what I expected it was flavourless and wasn’t great at all actually…she asked if I wanted hot sauce to spice it up… good gawd no… add some spice in the kitchen please… at best was a good spot to waste some time before my Next appointment …a saddened faster who was excited for a yummy and savoury breakfast 😬

Tried Benny’s for the first time last weekend. Really awesome decor… kept my kids occupied until the food came! Food was really tasty though would have appreciated kids sized menu options. A bit pricey - benny bowl, traditional benny, perogie benny, blueberry pancakes, two coffees and two waters was over $80.

Belmont Diner Marda Loop is a charming, family-run eatery that has been a neighborhood favorite since 2000. It offers a delightful menu featuring breakfast and lunch classics, along with imaginative pancake creations that are sure to impress both kids and adults. The diner is known for its friendly atmosphere and tasty dishes, making it particularly popular among families.
I came here on a Saturday at 11 am and was immediately seated. Seemed like the rush hour picked up at 11:30 am and continued into lunch. Service was fantastic even when busy. I ordered the blueberry pancakes and they were delicious! Good sized pancakes. I added beef sausage on the side, they do not sell pork sausage which is fine. It came with classic (real) maple syrup, tasted like a medium amber, so good. The pancakes were satisfying, no whip cream required for these cuties. I saw on the menu they had single pancakes options which is really cool if you just want to add one to a meal. They also have a combo where it comes with eggs and meat. However, they put it all on one plate. My friend ordered that and I wouldn't necessarily like egg mixed with the pancakes. But to each their own.. Can't wait to come back and try the waffles!

This spot has such a cute vintage diner vibe, which is pretty authentic. I do think the prices are a tad high, but the service was wonderful. Classic diner breakfast menu items.

Friendly and speedy service. They made me a custom ham and cheese sandwich which was delicious. The hash browns were plentiful. A cute little diner vibe.

10/10 food and service with only two incredibly hard working employees. Food comes out fast and hot with only one (talented) guy in the kitchen working every station, then the worlds friendliest server takes turns with him in the dish pit. I've had a lot of breakfast in a lot of places and this one was truly the best. The belgian waffle breakfast will not disappoint. Come here and tip well, because the prices are great and they deserve it.

Warm, friendly diner in Marda Loop. Bottomless hashbrowns with most breakfast options!

Great little breakfast place! You get the full diner experience at Belmont Diner. It has about 5 tables and 10 bar seats so definitely be prepared for a wait during peak times. We waited about 45 min at noon on a Sunday. They have hot coffee and heaters outside while you wait. Service was great and the small staff was super friendly. They were working hard to get orders out and get people seated as quick as possible. We started with milkshakes - apple pie and creamsicle. We both got size small and it was definitely a small portion for $7 but they were tasty and just enough to tie us over before getting our food. We got the Calgary’s Choice Omelette and the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict. We got the omelette with every single add in possible and it was one of the best omelettes we’ve every had. It was packed full of fresh veggies and lots of meat. The hash-browns weren’t the best we’ve had but not bad. They just needed more time to crisp on the flat top. The eggs Benny was to die for. It was one of the best eggs bennies I’ve ever had. Overall it was a great meal. We’d love to come back to try more items on the menu.

A great old style diner with a counter and stools. The food is great here too, I had the Chuck Norris. 2 eggs, choice of meat or veg on 2 potato pancakes and toast with Hot Holly sauce (spicy hollandaise) Update still great!

Phil's on 11th, situated in Calgary, is a long-standing favorite among locals. This diner opens early and offers a mix of traditional breakfast dishes and modern brunch options. Families often gather here to enjoy the carafes of coffee left on the table and the diverse breakfast choices. Despite some recent negative reviews, many visitors find the food fantastic and reasonably priced.
I loooooove this place! You will have the greatest food ever in here! The service is amazing and it just has a great vibe! Steak and eggs are so delicious here and they give you a generous portion of sides!I’ll definitely go back to this place!

It’s a great spot for good honest food. Great breakfasts all day. Everything from your basic eggs and bacon with 2 sides to a Western Omelette. If your there later in the day they make a good burger. Great steak sandwich. For me a Good spot to start your day. There was a time 30 years ago when I went to the one on 14 street every weekday morning for breakfast on my way to work.

First time eating breakfast here. Ambiance is good. I noticed that mostly local people have breakfast and/ or brunch. Good for family, friends or business lunch meetings. Waiting time for food was fair, attentive and cheerful staff. Love the coffee refills. Food plating has definitely room for improvement. Serving size is fair to good. Food is okay and will definitely fill you up. Enjoyed the pancakes and waffle dessert. Tricky parking, I parked a couple of blocks and walked to the place. Recommended if you are wanting something new and tired of other breakfast places.

This was absolutely the worst breakfast I ever had. I had the 2 eggs, with 3 pancakes , chubbies, & bacon and an extra side of sour dough toast. The chubbies were like cardboard, the bacon was way overcooked ( also like cardboard ) the pancakes ( 1 came late ) the entire meal was terrible and not worth the $32.10 I paid…. Which I thought the breakfast was $17.95 plus the extra order of sourdough…… It was outrageous! And disgusting! Never I repeat! Never again! Absolutely horrible! I should have had the 2 egg breakfast at another eatery 3 blocks south on 11 Street which featured bottomless hash brown (no pancakes) for $12.95. But I will absolutely not eat here again! You could not give it away it was that bad!

Phil’s has always been one of our families favourite spots, I’ve been many times at other locations, but this was by far the worst experience my family and I have ever had. Our service was baffling. Our server completely missed basic cues, and failed to check in with us throughout the meal. My kids’ drinks were left empty, and even when she dropped off condiments, she didn’t bother to ask if we needed refills or anything else. As someone who used to work as a server, I find it disheartening to post negative reviews and try and offer grace, we are only human, but this was just too much to ignore. I haven’t eaten red meat since I was a child, and I’ve always had the option to swap out bacon or sausage for something else. But when I asked this time, the server told me she “had never done that before” and that there wasn’t a “button on the screen for it” Dietary preferences should be easy to accommodate, and this response was beyond aggravating. My entire life, I've never seen a refusal for a dietary request by a restaurant or any other Phil’s I’ve been to. To make matters worse, the server spilled my daughter’s orange juice when setting down the glass, didn’t apologize, and didn’t offer to clean it up, she just walked away quickly after. We waited over an hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold. This was by far the worst Phil’s experience I’ve had and probably the worst restaurant experience overall. There were so many issues that I can’t even list them all. Bottom line, we won’t be returning to this location

Fuwa Fuwa Japanese Pancakes is a trendy franchise originating from Toronto, soon to open in Edmonton. The name "Fuwa Fuwa" translates to "fluffy fluffy" in Japanese, perfectly describing their half-pancake, half-souffle creations. While some have mixed reviews about the establishment, many rave about the delicious and light pancakes served with various toppings like blueberry cream and zesty lemon slices.
Very cute place! Owner is very kind and the food is delicious! A fun place to come hangout with friends cause they have board games upstairs for you to play~ just keep in mind to make the fluffy pancakes requires some time! (Check with owner for free customer parking in the back)

Great waffles place. Their savory plates are highly recommended too. We ordered the croissant with egg bacon and lettuce and we loved it. Coffee is good too and the waffles are amazing so fluffy. Come with a mindset to wait about 20 mins for your food. Take it easy relax and enjoy.

We had some yummylicious pancakes at this Fuwa Fuwa Dessert Cafe in Edmonton. There are so many choices for you to choose from and every pancake on their menu looks amazingly delicious! We tried the Crème Brûlée ($16.99) and Matcha Tiramisu ($15.99). Both pancakes tasted amazing and the texture was soft and fluffy! Next on our list are Blueberry Cheese, Matcha White Chocolate and also Fuwa Fuwa Signature Pancake. Looking forward to our next visit!

Aesthetic interior and appealing food. There were a lot of options that were all appealing to me, but I only took the Fuwa Fuwa Signature and a macaron. The pancakes were super fluffy, however, they tasted really eggy. I’d probably come back here for a different pancake with more flavour to overcome the eggy flavour along with a drink! As the beverage options all looked appealing to me.

Additionally, visitors can explore the Athabasca Glacier and enjoy the glass-floored Skywalk at Columbia Icefield Adventure. Dine at May offers contemporary cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients in an elegant setting, ideal for intimate dinners or special occasions.
Everything was amazing. The food was so, so good, the service was fantastic and the restaurant was really nice. I would 100% eat here again. All the food was delicious but if I had to pick favourites, the gnocchi and the amber fish were out of this world.

Fantastic brunch at May. The shakshouka is excellent. Easily the best in the city. And the vindaloo mushroom toast was so tasty too! Chicken thigh on the French toast was yummy! Service was excellent!! Washrooms are starting to show some wear and tear which is surprising.

Very simply put, this is by far the best brunch spot I've been to in years. Our group of four walked in and we were immediately greeted with smiles from the bartender and wait staff. The space itself is clean, inviting, and relaxing. We all ordered a variety of cocktails throughout the seating, all of which were outstanding and each unique in its own way. These were beautifully crafted cocktails, made with fresh and quality ingredients; mixed and measured skillfully with passion and precision by the fantastic bartender. Our waitress Shelby was brilliant! She took care of us like no other, great smile and nothing but laughs. She didn't miss a single beat, we always had a drink in front of us accompanied by her recommendations for the next one! The food was phenomenal, there is no other way of describing it. We started with the tempura oyster mushrooms to share. The table was silent for several minutes as we demolished this wonderful appetizer. I ordered the Chorizo Verde hash bowl, stunning presentation and smells as it came to the table. Everything was made to perfection. The hollandaise sauce had me in awe, the table collectively agreeing it was the best they'd ever tasted. The corn and pepper relish served on top had me excited for each and every bite, adding an explosion of flavours and texture. Each bite different and tantalizing. The rest of table explored the Farmers Brunch and the Shakshuka, each person silent as they ventured through their meal aside from sounds of gratitude. We left with our souls feeling full of memorable drink and food. We will be back, rest assured. I am waiting on baited breathe to return and adventure through their dinner menu and service! Don't forget to try the Chai Martini! You won't regret.

First of all: Wow! The service (Jesse from Vancouver?) was great and the food delicious. We ordered the bread roll for an appy, then the sirloin and the gnocchi. The gnocchi wasn’t my thing, but my boyfriend absolutely loved it and everything about it was thought after and made well (just the flavours weren’t my thing). The SIRLOIN…that stole the show! Tender, flavourful and it just hit the spot. Alberta beef according to our server, which is even better. My only one complaint is…Why didn’t I know about this place sooner? I’m a young girl in my 20’s looking for spots like this and I had never heard of it. Both times I went it was dead (the vibes were still great), but I have the feeling more people are in the same boat. I will tell as many people as I can about this place, but I do think the owner is going to have to do some serious marketing because this gem is truly hidden. It also looks like it’s closed from the outside, I’d recommend to have lighting of some sort. So yeah, I’m a little frustrated that I’m always on social media and have had no opportunity to hear about it. That being said, I loved it and I wish May all the best! Can’t wait to come back! 🫶🏼

We had a great evening at May. Brad took care of us very well. I can’t remember the last time we had such attentive service. The restaurant is beautiful with nice wooden tables, comfortable seating, and a stunning bar. The drinks tasted great, with a vast selection of wine, cocktails and aperitif. We enjoyed the food. The chicken drums and cucumber salad were delicious.

The food was on the salty side; first few bites were great, but it quickly got tiring to eat. The presentation, atmosphere, and service were fantastic however. I ordered a mocktail and the orrecchiette with an addition of chicken thigh. The chicken was an additional 8$, so I expected a bit more chicken than received. Service was very friendly and she did her best to get our orders to us promptly.

Second time at May restaurant- came for dinner this time. Everything was excellent! All dishes were very well seasoned and full of flavor. Each dish was very unique. We ordered everything to come out all at once. Oyster Tempura Mushrooms - very earthy, unique flavor. Everyone loved it, even the ones who typically don't love Mushrooms. Honey Coriander Chicken Drums- excellent! Roasted Parsnips- favorite dish! Sirloin- full of flavor. Simple, but delicous. Lamb- tender. Delicous. Dessert- Basque Vanilla Bean Cheesecake- very unique. Not too sweet. Great to share. Service was excellent. Our server had everything memorized. Food came out fast. Overall a great experience.

Padmanadi is a renowned Indonesian vegan restaurant with two locations in Edmonton. The downtown location offers a classic dining experience, while the Southside location provides a more fast-casual atmosphere. The restaurant serves vegetarian and vegan variations of traditional dishes from Indonesia, China, Thailand, and India, such as Lemon Prawns, stuffed tofu, Mongolian chicken, and the Padmanadi Seafood Delight.
We ordered Tempeh Pulau, Nasi Goreng, Singapore Noodles, and Roti. Tempeh Pulau is highly recommended!!!! Honestly I am not quite sure what exactly ingredients they used for this dishes but IT IS SO YUMMY!!!! Singapore Noodles is a bit too curry-ish for me but it tastes good! It is very spicy so you would love it if you love spicy food. The Nasi Goreng is an Indonesian fried rice. It tastes really good and it is very suitable for children! :)

Its been a couple years since I've been in and wish I remembered to go more often. The food is soon good. So much flavour and the texture is amazing. I went with my meat eating friend and she said the texture of the Mongolian chicken is spot on for real meat. I even had my husband eat my leftovers when he got home and said the same. This place is for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters alike. They also have gluten free options. Defiantly don't sit on coming to Padmanadis, it's so good. The service is great too.

Visiting Edmonton from California, we weren’t sure what to expect in terms of vegan food. This restaurant blew us away. The flavors were delicious and creative, the best vegan Asian food I’ve had tied with a small restaurant in Santa Monica, California. We loved all three dishes we tried, and will be heading back for brunch on our way out of town. Their staff was well informed and helpful, there is a separate gluten-free menu, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. This is a must try!

The food was amazing. Easily the best lamb I have ever had. The smoked old fashioned drinks were outside my usual choice for drinks but very easy to enjoy. And it was fun to have the glasses smoked at our table. If I had to find a complaint all I have is that the chair was a tiny bit deep for me as I'm fairly small. We will definitely be back!!

An absolutely amazing evening and drinks. Would highly recommend! Unfortunately I did not have any food at this location, but it looked and smelled amazing. I had a handful of old fashioned drinks. Absolutely amazing! Lots of options and combinations available. If you are a fan of old fashions I cannot recommend this place enough. One of the best I’ve had. Period. Prices are a touch high, but well worth it. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Service was very quick and courteous. Staff were able to expand on options available, and make recommendations. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. It was busy (as I was there on Valentines Day) but still managed to find seating easily. Location is good, and in the heart of downtown Calgary. Bar is also attached to a hotel making it very convenient. Overall, would highly recommend!

SO GRATEFUL - SUCCESSFUL, WONDERFUL BREAKFAST FOR 25 I was in town for an annual conference (Rotary, 15k attendees from around the world). This year, like previous years held in different Intl cities, I hosted a breakfast for ~25 of my special friends/colleagues who were attending the conference with me. A month prior, I interviewed three restaurants. I ended up contracting with ONE18 EMPIRE because of: a) their location -- easily walkable to Stampede Park b) my trust in Marriott-linked restaurants, and c) how their manager (Angelyn Goc-Oban) collaborated with me. I wasn't disappointed. - FOOD: Wonderful private breakfast buffet. My friends commented how this was so much better than their hotel's breakfast selection. Not the typical bucket of eggs, bacon, and fruit. Chef-prepared. Bespoke. (see buffet menu pic) We were also able to order off a menu for those with special food needs. Nice! - ATMOSPHERE/VENUE: We were given a private room with three tables (Mc Tavish Room - see pics). The buffet was around the corner. The room was special because of the rolling "barn doors" that opened the room up during socializing and buffet time, but could be closed to provide intimacy while we ate and talked. - SERVICE: I arrived about 30 minutes early. Faya, our lead server met me and walked me through everything. She even brought me an early coffee. As the morning progressed, she ensured the buffet remained stocked, turned off the overhead speaker music, and helped late arrivals get seated. Wow! Faya was great. HIGHLY RECOMMEND: I would definitely recommend ONE18 for small-group breakfasts. Angelyn is a great F&B operations manager -- who will work directly with you and also ensure a strong team member (like Faya) will take good care of your group. And, the kitchen team prepared the best breakfast buffet I've seen for a restaurant in general or for a small group. Oh, additional note. One of our breakfast group accidently left behind a few items. The ONE18 team secured the items and worked with me to get the items back to the owner the next day. Relief!

We stumbled upon this place on our walk downtown Calgary and called to book a reservation for a dinner of four and were told to just walk in since it wasn’t busy. When we arrived, the staff wasn’t welcoming and didn’t show us to our spot but instead told to seat wherever. The seating area was designed to fit guests on two. The guy told us he’ll be sending someone to put the table together in order to fit 4 of us but nobody ever came to do that. We did it ourselves. Our waitress wasn’t nice and understanding. We felt pressured to find what to order but in the end we couldn’t stay at a place where we didn’t feel welcomed by the staff. We decided to leave. One thing about their menu, it’s very selective and doesn’t have any sort of fish or seafood. I don’t recommend at the very least not the one located downtown

It's definitely one of the top spots for a great Old Fashioned. Didn't get around to ordering the mains, but all the appetizers were delicious. We were hoping for a better service, as we left without a chance of ordering a third round after sitting there empty-handed for close to half an hour.

IHOP is a well-established chain known for its wide range of American breakfast and diner options, with a particular focus on pancakes. Customers praise the delightful variety of toppings available for the signature pancakes and the flavorful omelettes. One standout feature is the great value offered despite the diverse menu and quality ingredients, making it an ideal choice for families and friends looking for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.
I wish i remembered the wait staff that tended to us. she was amazingly amazing. Food was great, ambience was really good for a monday morning. dunno why it took me so long to dine in.

We had a great experience at ihop, went there yesterday evening. There was plenty of parking, which made it really convenient. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. Our server, Joey, did an excellent job—friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. The food was delicious! The strawberry banana pancakes were absolutely amazing, and the cinnamon dippers were fantastic. Overall, a wonderful visit with great service and tasty food. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The service was wonderful. We were greatest the moment we got in. We were seated and our waitress came right away. They had our food out to us within 15 mins. I was surprised at how fast it was. And let me tell you how amazing the food was! OMG, the chef deserves a raise. That had to be handsdown one of the best burgers I have ever had at a restaurant before. And this is coming from a former chef. Price wise. Everything is $20 for a meal. A little expensive for a breakfast, but what isn't these days! I just went for the "more bang for my buck". A glass of pop was $4.10. I also thought that was a little ridiculous too. But it was a wonderful day with my daughter! You NEED to go here!

ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS SERVICE. Got to I-Hop at 12:40. I was the only person in the lobby.. other than the homeless loitering… no one hostess or anyone greeting people at the door… then they needed to put me on a waitlist for a table, which was strange as we were the only people there… Another family came in shortly after me with the same amount people.. they seated them ahead of my family… The establishment was next to empty.. Finally we sat.. waited 20 mins before we got our drinks served… no cream for coffee. Waited over an hour to eat with 3 small kids, an elderly lady and a pregnant woman. The only redeeming quality of this establishment was the food when it finally came. Waited another 20 mins and had to go find someone for the bill.

Good spot for breakfast. The restaurant was super busy but the food came out quite quickly, hot and exactly how we ordered. The kids enjoyed the happy face pancakes. Restaurant was clean and I liked that they bring the pot of coffee to your table

Had the Poblano Omelette with extra meat and buttermilk pancakes, quite delicious! Omelette was flavorful and hearty, pancakes were fluffy enough for me to finish it. Great service and a welcoming vibe. IHOP on Calgary Trail is always consistent.

I visited this place yesterday with my friend. We were attended by Geeta. I must say, she is very professional and friendly. We ordered chicken omlette and cheesecake waffle.. Chicken was cooked to perfection and waffle was amazing, more over the food is reasonably priced.. Had a wonderful experience and I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.. planning to visit this weekend as well.

Absolutely amazing on all points! I had always wanted to go to a diner. I'm so glad the other one was closed! Fran, you are amazing! I will definitely be back! Prices are fantastic and the atmosphere

Dropped into the Route 99 Diner for breakfast for the first time the other day. Well first off was greeted within seconds of walking through the door. The staff were very friendly and helpful our server Melinda was great made sure our coffee's were maintained at all times of our meal. The atmosphere of this place is just like a diner should be with lots of cool and unique stuff to look at. The meals we had ordered were pretty good for the most part my wife enjoyed her steak sandwich. I myself had the an original breakfast only issue I had was with my eggs being cooked over easy and not medium but I didn't mention anything about it... Had I mentioned it I am 💯 certain they would have made new ones... I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys the diner vibe and traditional home style cooked meals with top notch service... Will be back again!

Every thing was good. We ordered French toast, poutine and steak in our breakfast. The quantity of food was pretty good except French toast and they kinda change the recipe of it was bit dry.

A lovely spot for a simple yet nostalgic breakfast. Nothing fancy, but the food hits the comfort zone just right. The ambiance gives off a warm, old-school charm, and the service is top-notch. Best of all, it’s easy on the wallet — definitely a hidden gem for a cozy morning.

Awesome spot! Clubhouse was great, coleslaw was stellar. Diner special pizza was legit. Kids had french toast and spaghetti with meat sauce, which were also super yummy! Love the vibe and atmosphere.

Route 99 Diner is a true throwback to the classic 1950s diner experience…bright red booths, retro décor, and a menu packed with comfort food favorites. The energy inside feels welcoming and nostalgic, the kind of place where families, students, and locals all gather for a hearty meal. On my last visit, I had a burger with lettuce, and they were able to accommodate my gluten-free diet without hesitation. That extra level of care stood out…the staff didn’t make it complicated, just handled it with a smile, and the end result was delicious. The burger was juicy and flavorful, with crisp lettuce and fresh toppings that made it feel lighter but still satisfying. The portions here are generous, and prices are very fair for the quality and portion size. Service is fast and personable, even when the diner gets busy during peak times. Whether you’re in the mood for pancakes, omelets, or a classic burger and fries, this spot consistently delivers. If you’re looking for an unfussy, authentic diner experience with staff that go the extra mile for dietary needs, Route 99 is an easy recommendation.
Raoul B — Google review
The place is kind of dirty. It has cute decor but it’s all caked is greasy dust. The cups are always dirty, which doesn’t make me confident the plates & cutlery is clean. I The service is pretty good but the food isn’t great. I was charged for a bagel & cream cheese, however I had to spread it myself from 2 tiny cream cheese packages. If I have to do the work, stop charging so much. I ordered 1 egg breakfast & got 2 or 3, also be aware when you order over hard egg, they will be cripsy. This is disappointing because years ago this was our spot, it’s really gone down hill cleanliness-wise.

What a colorful wee spot off the beaten track! Our server Alina was a delight...attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The live music was a lovely backdrop to our absolutely scrumptious meal... all of course made from scratch!! The potatoes were this island girl's utmost favorite: Soft on the inside, crispy & savory on the outside!

Had a nice time at Blue Chair for breakfast with the family. Food was very good we got the traditional breakfast, kids meal was a great portion size & the banana bread French toast was yummy. Service was great & the grapefruit mimosa was very refreshing.

Funky little cafe tucked away in Ritchie. Live music during Sunday brunch. Decent prices, quality ingredients and a damn good cup of coffee. We had brisket eggs Benedict and traditional breakfast. The variety of fruit on the side was a nice touch.

Not a bad little place. Cheese Omelette was super cheesy, which is awesome. Was told the Eggs Bennie was tasty. Potatoes were a little bland but not too bad. Will return

Blue Chair is one of those rare gems where music and food come together perfectly. The menu is thoughtful and approachable, with food that’s always satisfying, but the real magic is the vibe. Whether it’s a live music night or just a regular evening, the energy is warm, welcoming, and a little eclectic. Staff are attentive and know how to keep things moving without ever making you feel rushed. If you want a meal paired with atmosphere and artistry, this is the place.

A great local haunt - delicious food, fantastic service, and a cool vibe. They also do a fantastic job of bringing on local music for evenings and Sunday brunch. Pretty much everything I've had in the past has been incredible. I decided to try the huevos rancheros this time. It was OK, which could have been enhanced with some salsa or other typical fixings. Again, every other meal I've had in the past has been fantastic! Big plus... their hot sauce is amazing!!

Blue Chair Cafe offers a unique dining experience with its cozy sitting area, contrasting with the more formal ambiance of renowned restaurants. While the food was simple and enjoyable, it could have been enhanced. The pricing seemed a bit higher compared to the restaurant’s facilities. The quality of the food is excellent and the portions are generous given the price. The service at Denny's is exceptional, with attentive and lively staff members who make every visit enjoyable.
Tonight, this crew delivered! Our order was made well, everything was included in the bag, and it was even still hot when it reached our destination! This is the second time ordering from this location, where they were sweet enough to throw in a dessert on the house. It was much appreciated and the customer service of the girl on the phone was beyond outstanding. Thank you so much!

I came in for dinner on Monday. The food was really good and I enjoyed my visit. However, the service wasn’t the best. The manager, Kashish, had quite an attitude and wasn’t very pleasant when speaking with customers. I feel she could be more polite and professional in her interactions. Other than that, everything else was good.

Not bad , cheap with large portions of food. Sun was out that day so we ate on their spacious patio.

I was served water in a glass that was clearly dirty, I didn’t notice right away but the glass tasted salty and unclean, and then I saw that the glass was sticky on the side with a chunks of food and syrup. Very clearly dirty and so disappointing. No idea how this place has such good reviews I have a friend who was served sausage that was raw in the middle (separate visit ) I only noticed the glass was dirty because of the syrup how many times has this happened and it just hasn’t been noticeable?

This was my first time eating at this location. All the staff members were very friendly and helpful. I didn't have to wait long to put in my order and it arrived at the table after a brief wait. The Berry Stuffed French toast was delicious! The drizzle of strawberry puree on top was so yummy I asked for a little more. Such a great meal and atmosphere, I will have to come by the next time I am in downtown Edmonton. FYI - If you are really hungry then order the Berry Stuffed French Toast Slam. In addition to your French toast you get eggs done your way, bacon and sausage.

I came here over the weekend with my boyfriend. Our service here was... fine. Our server's name was Jessica. She seemed annoyed with us? Not sure why. The service was EXTREMELY slow. It took about 30 minutes to get waters and orange juice. My sausages were also undercooked. We also weren't told that our bill wasn't going to get brought up so we waited a while after our food was brought out (finally) and we realized that we had to pay the hostess up front.

Food was pretty decent. Their potatoes were great. Eggs were alright. I wouldn’t go again as it wasn’t to it’s full expectation. I really didn’t appreciate how cold my dish was, it was barely warm which was my biggest negative about it all. My friend’s dish took extremely long to get to the table even though it was just an omelet and they slightly mixed up what she ordered.

Awesome little spot on 17th Ave! We went on late on a Tuesday since I was craving breakfast and this was perfect. My partner got the poutine and the gravy was excellent. Generous portions for both, great value in an area that can run pretty pricey. I also got the chai latte (surprised they also had almond milk on the menu as well for the dairy-free crowd) which was delicious, learn from my mistake though the shaker is NOT cinnamon.

The service here is absolutely amazing. Both the manager and the staff was so nice and kind. The portion in this restaurant was big, and the food was fantastic. I would definitely come again next time when I visit Calgary. Highly recommend the pumpkin milk shake, which is made from the owner's own recipe!

Great place for breakfast. Lot's of tables available and great menu options. We had smoked meat breakfast and breakfast poutine. Both were perfect. This place also has two other businesses inside. A fried chicken to go (Nim's) and an ethiopian menu. Fried chicken place is amazing and looking forward to try the ethiopian food.

Cute, diner experience with modern interior serving all day brunch and dinner. During our visit, the staff was welcoming, attentive and friendly - everything you could ask for during a brunch stop. Food was expertly prepared, and clearly made fresh in house - hash browns were fresh cut!!! I highly recommend this for any of your brunch/breakfast needs. I will be returning to try the dinner menu.

The customer service is top notch! Very accommodating with our complicated request. My wife doesn’t eat meat but I do. So we were able to request to have a few modifications done on our order without feeling like we were being too difficult. My wife is also pregnant and was able to have the hollandaise sauce cooked well (which it is originally already). I ordered the Benedict Florentine and wifey ordered breakfast poutine. I also ordered the chai masala tea and that was a delight, very refreshing and well sweetened. The portions you get for your plate is huge! We barely could finish our food, very good price value for what you get. We just was hoping the hollandaise sauce had more umph, it taste lacked flavour in our opinion but overall the food was good!

My food was absolutely delicious and the staff was so kind! We even got a free soup while we waited for our food. I will definitely be coming back. (Ps. There were 2 eggs Benedict’s but I had to eat one because it looked too good… and it was) Thank you!

The breakfast eatery Sunset Grill offers outstanding customer service and delectable cuisine. Patrons rave about the divine bacon and the impeccably cooked breakfast potatoes, which are crispy on the outside yet fully cooked. Although some dishes may be slightly pricey, such as the smoked salmon eggs Benedict, they are still highly regarded for their incredible flavors. The only minor drawback is that the breakfast poutine's potatoes could have been crisper and better cooked.
Delicious Sunday morning breakfast @ Sunset Grill in spruce grove. The place was relatively full when we arrived but within 5 minutes of waiting, we have been seated at our table. Last time I have been to a sunset grill was DT Toronto a couple years back, so I told my wife let's give it a shot here in Spruce. What a fantastic experience this has been. The food is amazing, French toast browned to my opinion of perfection. Scrambled eggs are great, they hold their shape and have great texture. I don't know how they are made but much better than some of the slimy out of the carton stuff I've been served at other breakfast locations. Sausages are fantastic as well as the diced potatoes. Not too much seasoning on the potatoes which really let's them shine. All the staff members were very busy and took the time to smile and greet me as I entered, and I haven't wanted for a full coffee cup the entire time. It is very bright, welcoming and everyone seems happy to be here. Excellent decor and food selection too. Super happy about my visit, thank you very much to the staff at this location for maintaining such great environment and quality.

We were really excited to try this place out for breakfast. It would have been so much better if half of our meals were not still raw. I was really disappointed that I had to recook my house potatoes at home after they got delivered. My partner and I both had really oily raw potatoes for hash browns. It was not the feel good food experience you would expect from a place that specializes in breakfast food and discourages me from trying them again.

Been another year. Service was not the best this time around the pancakes were still good but the rest of the food was nothing to write home about. Looking up boom dust still! Clean your ceiling no one wants the to fall on their food! Been a year now how is it? Still 2 stars service was good the menus are the same they just put red tape over the alcohol section guess printing new ones cost to much? Ordered eggs sausage and pancakes. The eggs I found shell in them told waitress and she said "that's what you get when using fresh eggs" and I was like but is it hard to take shell out? Anyway she took my eggs back and brought me new ones with no shell! The sausage was meh but the pancakes were amazing! Would have given the review 4 stars but I looked up and omg get a duster.

This place is an old school diner. It was clean but quiet. When My wife and I ordered the food came mixed up on two places and was cooked in a little too much oil but it was pretty good. Although the interior needs an update, it leaves you with a little nostalgia feeling. The cost of two basic breakfasts was a little steep at $32 but stop in if you have a little time for friendly food fare.

Pretty good food, the smoked salmon eggs Benedict was incredible but a little bit on the expensive side. The breakfast poutine would have been 8~10/10 if the potatoes were crispy or even cooked properly. They were kinda raw and icky after a while

D Spot Dessert Cafe in Edmonton is a paradise for those with a sweet tooth. The menu boasts an extensive selection of over 100 dessert options, including decadent pancakes and other mouthwatering treats. The portions are generous, perfect for sharing or indulging on your own. The cafe's social-media-worthy dishes are not only visually appealing but also incredibly delicious. With its heavenly fragrance and eye-popping sweet creations, D Spot is a gem for dessert lovers.
Was an amazing and delectable experience. 2nd time visiting Dspot location. Weather was not cooperating with us that day - raining all day. Plenty of parking spaces available. Came in around 2pm. Bright and cozy inside - upside down cake decoration on the ceiling 😯 - with a fantastic server/host 'Judy' 👏 My family came in (p4) and ordered 4 items. Servings were big - probably too much for a kid to handle (what are parents for but to help 😆). I recommend ordering to share. The treats can and will overload your tastebuds (in a good way 🤩). Started with matcha green tea latte hot, cheesy nachos - kids had classic hot chocolate and mix berry mojito. Then 'Waffle done right' (trying to eat healthy 😋) - son had a 'Royalty' and daughter ordered 'Strawberry & Banana crepe'. Again amazing visit - will come back again.

We had the Lotus Milk Cake, it tastes like Ras Malai. A little to sweet for my taste. Given the portion size, it is more than enough for two people. However, the price is a bit steep, not justifying the hype. The server, Judy, is amazing. She is informative (knew the menu), attentive, and has a friendly demanour. Judy's verbal communication skills are top-notch and it felt like she was passionately trying to help the patrons for the food selections and preferences.

Dessert Heaven! Hosted my book club meetup at DSpot Dessert Café, and let’s just say we were blown away. The atmosphere was cozy, the vibes were on point, and the food? Oh my, the food. We had waffles, croffles, and crepes. It was like the dessert gods themselves sent down their finest creations. We ate like there was no tomorrow and then talked about how great the food was for an hour after. If you’re looking for the perfect spot to indulge in sweet treats while pretending to be productive (book club-style), this is your place. Warning: you’ll probably need to loosen your pants by the end. Highly recommend!

First time going to a dspot, and to be honest I had heard a lot of good things before. The food was awesome, and the place itself was beautifully structured. It was bright colours and comfortable seating, just how one would expect. It definitely meet my expectations. However, I was not the biggest fan of the lady who was serving us. She was not particularly rude, but seemed to be impatient and did not seem happy to be there. Keep in mind the place was pretty much empty so there was no reason for her to be in a rush. I also went to ask for a receipt and they asked me to come back, which took up some of our time. The atmosphere and food were great, but the service caused me to give this place a 4 star review. Would definitely recommend dspot, just maybe not this particular location:(

Start your day at Morning Brunch Co., a popular spot in Banff National Park, where you can fuel up with a quick breakfast and coffee before hitting the slopes. Whether you're heading to Lake Louise Ski Resort, Sunshine Village, or Mt. Norquay, there are plenty of options for world-class skiing just a shuttle ride away. Morning Brunch Co. is known for its amazing menu catering to everyday brunch needs, offering sweet mini pancakes and spicy chorizo that customers love.
Okay, when you go to a breakfast spot two mornings in a row while on vacation, you know it’s not just good — it’s life-altering. Morning Brunch Co. totally stole our hearts (and maybe part of our cholesterol count, but worth it). My husband fell hard for the Spicy Chicken Breakfast Bowl — he ordered it both mornings, no hesitation. Meanwhile, I had the Veggie Omelette on day one (fluffy, loaded, and perfect), then went for the Morning Madame the next day — and let’s just say I’m still dreaming about it. Here’s the kicker: the waitress remembered us, AND our exact order from the day before, despite the place being packed. That’s when you know you’ve hit a gem — delicious food, great vibes, and staff who make you feel like regulars even if you're just passing through. If I could give six stars, I would. Already planning our next visit — and yes, the Spicy Chicken Bowl is happening again.

Super cute place with awesome staff members! The vibe in there is super calm and light which was very relaxing. Staff welcomed us with smiles and were very personable. Food was amazing! They offer so many of the right options but not too many so it was not overwhelming looking at the menu. Really unique drinks and had great presentation with the food. Staff were very accommodating to any adjustment requests made to the order:) the only reason I gave 4 stars for the food is the portion size. The avocado toast was 16$ and it was only one slice of toast- but it was very good so it really depends how hungry you are and how much you are willing to spend. I WOULD recommend this to others

Shout out to all the staff, cookers and everyone working everyone was very nice and did an amazing job with food, costumer service, and the design making it feel so welcoming and cozy, this place definitely reminds me of Hell’s Kitchen with everyone working together and not disappointing:3

I ordered on Uber eats and I gotta say I was pretty disappointed for the price. $18.00 for this? Taste was okay but portion was pretty small and the holandaise sauce wasn't like any hollandaise sauce I've ever had, very watery. It was more like a vinaigrette. Perhaps dining there is better

After picking up a Mother’s Day brunch and enjoying that, we picked up a Father’s Day brunch last Sunday only to find that the order was not up to par, specifically the avocado toasts and the fruit cups on the side. We weren’t able to start the day on the right note after finding moldy blueberries in one of the fruit cups. Disappointing to say the least!

Food was great, just disappointed that we were charged extra to have maple syrup to go with the pancakes. I’ve never been charged to have syrup on my pancakes before. Pancakes come with syrup…always. They need to fix that. Otherwise the food was great and presented well.

Glad we were able to call ahead for a table as we were 3 mins away. Staff was nice and this is a kid friendly place. Food came out quickly. I got the spicy salmon bowl, the eggs were poached soft perfect but I thought there was way too much green spinach puree and the smoked salmon got lost in the dish itself.

We visited on a Sunday with my partner and family, expecting a nice meal, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. We were told there would be a 25-minute wait, but when we returned after that time, we had to wait an additional 10 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we waited another 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. The only options offered were water or coffee, and after another 20-minute wait, we were finally able to place our order. It took 30 more minutes for the food to arrive, and when it did, it was cold. While the food itself tasted fine, it wasn’t nearly worth the $50 for two groups of two people. The service was incredibly slow – we only saw our server twice during the entire two-hour visit. Between the long waits and lackluster service, this was a very frustrating experience, and I won’t be returning. Definitely not recommending it to others.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Calgary, Park By Sidewalk Citizen is a Middle Eastern-inspired restaurant that has quickly become a beloved culinary destination. The airy and inviting space, adorned with wooden slats and lush greenery, offers a picturesque setting for enjoying an array of delectable dishes.
The food here was exceptional! Overall everything tasted fresh, well made, and seasoned perfectly. The fresh pita with dips was delicious and flavorful. The lamb was incredibly tender and balanced well with herbs and seasonings. The cocktails were also tasty and well crafted - even better was that it was half off for happy hour! Service was also excellent. Very attentive and gave us the perfect recommendations for our first time here. We will definitely be back frequently!

We recently had our wedding dinner reception for 65 guests at Park by Sidewalk Citizen. We gravitated towards the space because my husband and I wanted an intimate gathering but also loved the warmth the solarium brought. We loved that we had to only decorate the space minimally. We were lucky to have great weather on the day of our event which allowed us to utilize their patio for canape hour and gave our guests some extra space to mingle. In addition to the atmosphere, the food, cocktails and the service were also exceptional. We planned our event with Park's events manager as part of their Day-of-coordination add on and they were on top of checking in periodically to ensure our decisions and vision were aligned and they can execute what we had planned before the big day. We had several in person and video meetings and we thought their events manager and service team were really personable and great in communicating with us. We also had the opportunity to have a food and beverage menu tasting and a separate dessert tasting beforehand which allowed us to enjoy and make selections for our reception menu. Our guests and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Park. A lot of our guests said they would love to return again for casual dining and commented on how the food and drinks were very good. Some notable dishes our guests really enjoyed were the fried chicken and halloumi skewer, the cauliflower, flatiron steak and the cod. Highly recommend them for the wonderful food and beverage and exceptional events services.

We had the lamb neck pita, potato pancake and shakshouka. The lamb neck pita was an absolute knock out! Very flavourful and the pita itself was great. The shakshouka was good, as was the potatoe pancake but we found the potatoe pancake was too dry. The service was fantastic and everyone there was really kind.

Park will always hold the most special place in our hearts!! It’s rare to find a space where the food, atmosphere & people are equally amazing but park really is just that incredible. My husband and I discovered park about two years ago and it quickly became our favourite place to bring friends and family for a visit. When it came time to plan our wedding, naturally, we couldn’t think of a better place to celebrate. David, who is an absolute dream to work with, truly has the most impeccable taste in everything. His passion for great wine & delicious food as well as his extensive hospitality experience really are at the forefront of everything he does and it shows. He made the planning process an absolute breeze & pleasure from start to finish. The entire team at park are so fun and are some of the most welcoming, sunshiney people you’ll ever meet. The atmosphere they’ve created is so cool & well-curated and has the most amazing energy, we really are so happy we got to share it with so many of our favourite people. The space is also incredibly photographable, with some of the most stunning natural light, decor & architecture I’ve ever seen. The food & drinks at Park really are unlike anything else in the city, everything from the quality of the ingredients to the presentation (both in regular service and at our wedding) are in a tier of their own. The food & drinks mattered most to us for our wedding and we couldn’t have been in better hands. We’re obsessed with the fact that their ever-talented chef ferments drinks & dry-ages meats in house, just a few of the many special things they have to offer. Everything about Park is so tasteful, unique & inviting, they really go above and beyond to curate things for you. They’re incredibly accommodating about dietary requirements (gluten free etc) and did an amazing job creating a signature mocktail option for some of our guests. This really is a love letter from us to the entire team at Park, you blew us away even when we didn’t think we could love you more! Thank you endlessly for everything- if you haven’t had the pleasure of dining with them or planning a special event here, PLEASE do!! 1000000/10

A meal so good that when it pops into your cravings (often) - you'd go for brunch alone just to satisfy yourself? This is it. Park by Sidewalk Citizen is a go-to for Calgary brunch in a cute location great for groups, dates, and family. While a classic-sunnyside-up-loving-Dad may at first be skeptical of the menu, everyone we have brought here has had rave reviews and said they'd be back! Ask the servers questions if you have them, and enjoy the fresh ingredients and interesting flavours, including their refreshing Kombucha. 🍴Grady's pick: Ham Kachapuri or Shakshuka 🍴Hayley’s pick: Breakfast Arayes or Mushroom Kachapuri 🍴For the table: Potato Pancake

Fuwa Fuwa Japanese Pancakes is a new dessert restaurant that just opened in Edmonton. It offers pancakes made with Japanese ingredients and is conveniently located on Whyte Avenue at 8103 104th Street NW.
We ordered the blueberry, banana, pancakes: amazing! And the fuwa latte: fantastic. Unfortunately, they ran out of many items in the menu despite being opened for just one hour. The staff could greatly benefit from customer training. The space was nice
William A — Google review
The place has a nice aesthetic, perfect for taking some Instagram-worthy photos. The drinks were okay, but the “4 pancakes” were a bit of a letdown. They tasted like eggs, which was a bit off-putting for the price of $50. The presentation was good, though, and the drinks were refreshing. I wouldn’t go back for breakfast, but it was a cool experience. It’s more of a dessert-style cafe, so I’m not sure if it’s the right place for a hearty breakfast. If they didn’t taste so much like eggs, I might be more inclined to return. 🥞

I had the salmon croffle with a hot chocolate. I wanted a decaf latte but they don’t have it so I was a little sad about that. The croffle has ricotta cheese in the sauce which isn’t mentioned on the menu or when you order. I enjoyed it but I don’t generally eat much dairy so I would have preferred to know ahead of time. The food and drink were delicious and I would come back. The mixed greens in the sandwich were fresh. Nice flavours. What is a croffle ? It’s a croissant pressed into a waffle !!

Visited here for the very first time. Saw them on instagram. Ordered tiramisu pancake and their signature pancakes along with latte. But u need to wait for at least 15-20minutes for your order as they prepare fresh batter for all the pancakes. Trust me it’s worth the wait. I haven’t had such delicious pancakes before. So soft and so fluffy. Also the latte was so delicious. We are certainly going back to try other types of pancakes.

It’s a bit pricy, but the food is delicious. The pancakes are fluffy as they advertised. I tried the smoked salmon croffle and fell in love with it. Drinks were all just so so. They offer free water, so that’s what I will go with next time!

Went here for breakfast recently and had a great experience. I first had the smoked salmon croffle sandwich. It was fantastic, the sauce they put on it has so much flavour and the smoked salmon and veggies were very fresh. My partner had the original fluffy pancakes and they were also very tasty and not overly sweet. I finished off with a chocolate roll cake and salted caramel latte. Both were excellent, the chocolate roll cake is less moist then I thought but was still excellent. The salted caramel latte is definitely a dessert type drinks as it is sweet but I loved it. The place is clean and staff were friendly. Also not overly priced for a nice breakfast. For 2 people plus tip it was $47

The coffee was average, but the pancake was fantastic! I ordered the French toast pancake, and it was wonderfully light and delicious. Unfortunately, I didn't like the decor and atmosphere; it was a little dirty and not very comfortable. Additionally, there was a weird smell in the back while I was sitting there. Anyway, I would still go back, but I'd just get takeout and skip the coffee.

Brouhaha is a popular brunch spot in Calgary that offers a diverse menu with unique dishes like bowls, polenta porridge, and eggs bennies. Their Fried Crab Meat Scramble and Bougie Avocado Toast are just some of the tantalizing options available.
Absolutely blown away by this place — everything we ordered was on another level. The steak, udon, and crispy chicken were all incredibly flavorful — far better than many specialty restaurants we’ve tried. The vegetables were super fresh, and the eggs were cooked to absolute perfection. One highlight I have to mention is the omurice — cutting into that soft, velvety egg on top was such a satisfying experience. I highly recommend everyone try it at least once! Every single dish was delicious. You can tell there’s real attention to detail and quality here. Definitely a must-visit spot for brunch lovers!

A breakfast and lunch restaurant in the heart of downtown Calgary. I think it has some sort of South/Eastern Asian vibe. Tried crab meat for the first time and it was great. So, I’ll recommend the Fried Crab Meat Scramble (one of the halal options). Please ask for what is halal in the menu (I think all the meat are not). French Toast Forever is also an absolute delight and the juice is very fresh. You may be lucky to find a table of your walk-in but I’ll recommend making a reservation The service is good and the people are pleasant. Something that stands out - the coffee and tea mugs are cold on the outside but keep the contents piping hot. Also first time seeing Omurice on a menu - another testament to East Asian cuisine. Parking (Calgary Parking) is paid and close to the restaurant

I loved the Asian fusion brunch menu. We randomly stopped in without reading reviews and it was a fantastic decision. Kimchi fried rice was delicious! Banana latte coffee was interesting. Staff are kind and attentive! There is a paid garage parking and paid street parking a short walk away

The staff are very accommodating as soon as we arrived. We dined with a 1 year old and they are quick to ask for needing a high chair. Very lovely servers and communicated with us with care. Everything we ordered came out beautiful and delicious! Highly recommend the crab benny its something you wont get in just any brunch place so as the omurice! Will always recommend this place over all they serve with kindness and comfort

We were lucky to get a table for two since this place can get pretty packed sometimes. We started with pumpkin spice lattes and they were sweet, creamy, and really good. For food, we tried the steak bites bowl. It was alright but not great. Way too many Brussels sprouts for my taste and the flavor just did not come together. The fried crab scrambled eggs were okay but the crab could have been fried a bit longer. The pancakes were the biggest letdown. They did not taste fresh at all and felt like pre-made pancake mix batter, which was terrible. Service was fine and the place looks nice, but for the price, the food did not really deliver. Honestly, I doubt I would come back.

What a great spot for breakfast. Everything was very tasty. I had a smoked salmon scramble served in an open face croissant, with smoked salmon and cream cheese. Delicious! Nice presentation on all the dishes. If you live in Calgary, try this place out.
Nelson S — Google review
I am visiting Calgary and this time I stayed downtown. With a free morning, I decided to look for a brunch. I could have chosen a place right next to my hotel, but when I saw this restaurant online, the creativity of the menu caught my attention, especially the smoked salmon croissant. The experience was a delightful surprise. The reception was warm, the service quick and attentive, and the matcha latte was crafted with skill, balanced and delicate, though I personally enjoy it a little hotter. The smoked salmon croissant impressed me not only with its freshness but also with the creativity of the presentation. The addition of rice chips brought an unexpected layer of texture and originality, turning a classic into something memorable. It is always a pleasure to discover a restaurant that goes beyond the predictable brunch. Here I found harmony, care, and culinary imagination that made the experience remarkable. A place that makes you want to return, not just for the food but for the feeling of being welcomed. Bright, tasteful, and truly satisfying.

This morning I went out to eat with a friend and accidentally broke my triple banana latte. But the staff here were extremely nice. They cared and asked if I was okay. And made me a new triple banana latte. I ordered the Soft crab Benny which was delicious. I think this is the best breakfast place I've ever eaten in Calgary. The decor is very nice.

Denny's Restaurant is a beloved casual diner chain that serves up classic American comfort food, with an emphasis on all-day breakfast delights. The menu boasts an impressive array of options, including unique pancake creations like choconana and salted caramel banana cream pancakes, perfect for those craving fluffy perfection. During my recent visit, I took advantage of their birthday special which offered a free breakfast featuring customizable slam options—what a fantastic deal! The pancakes were not only generous in size but also incredibly delicious.
I had a breakfast slam, overall good with no issues. The restaurant was clean, no problems getting a seat and not noisy. For areas to improve, I would say the ambience could be made better, perhaps with some music. I particularly liked how friendly my server Margaret was!

It was a late night at 3am. Service was good, he was on top of our waters and drinks. We ordered a sampler, double cheeseburger with fries, mozzarella cheese sticks, breakfast poutine, and breakfast sandwiches. Food was ok, and the burgers looked good, however there were not much seasonings.

I am not someone who ever complains. If I could give this location 0 stars I would. This is what I paid $24 for. It was supposed to be fully loaded nachos that we got delivered. There are barely any nachos and absolutely no toppings. Manager on duty said there was nothing he could do . Don’t waste your time giving this joke of a restaurant your money

My Berry Stuffed French Toast Slam was delicious—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Grant made sure everything came out quickly and checked in just the right amount. Hands down some of the best service I’ve had at any diner. Give that man a raise!

When we first walked in, we waited for service for at least 4 minutes to seat us. Then the manager proceeded to seat us in an area which is not frequently used, so we were forgotten. There was only one waitress, and the restaurant wasn't busy; so there was no need for lack of attention. The service was lacking, but the food was hot, and delicious.

I recently visited this restaurant and took advantage of their birthday offer, which included a free breakfast with a choice of 4 items to make your own slam. I have to say, it was a fantastic deal! The pancake was especially noteworthy - it was fluffy, big, and absolutely delicious. The portion size was also very generous and left me feeling satisfied. The waiter was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. It seems like this restaurant really knows how to treat their customers and provide a great breakfast. I would highly recommend giving it a try, especially with the birthday offer!

Went to Denny's to celebrate a birthday. It was pretty much what you would expect. No complaints on the food and the service was good. The staff seem more experienced compared to my visit when they first opened. Coffee was filled up on the regular. Also, it was relatively quiet on the weekend compared to many a Denny's restaurants in the weekend - so a nice place to catchup with friends. My only vice is their loyalty program - totally broken - I did have a supervisor there say he would contact me back after taking to someone but that never happened - didn't really expect him to say that but nice that he did. Would have been amazing if I did get a response though!

Rosewood Foods is a laid-back cafe located in downtown Edmonton that has gained popularity for its delectable breakfast options, sandwiches, and salads. The cafe's housemade pastries and savory bites have garnered much praise since its opening during the pandemic. Noteworthy menu items include the Katsu Chicken Sandwich featuring Japanese-style fried chicken, tangy red cabbage, housemade kewpie mayo, and a milk bun.
So, I am in Edmonton attending (solo) a wedding at the Hotel McDonald. With a couple of hours until the reception and a bit longer until dinner, I felt that I needed a bite to eat and a beverage to wet my whistle. I am sitting outside under a canopy with a soft sprinkle of rain coming down. It is lovely and serene. My savory green onion scone was absolutely delicious and my London Fog, so fantastic. But, even better than the food (how can that be) was the incredible hospitality I experienced here. From the smiling and friendly faces to their amazing kindness, well it was top notch. This delightful cafe should be a stop for everyone in the downtown area. You will not be disappointed one bit. Thank you, Rosewood Foods!

Really nice café. The service was quick and super friendly. Very busy but spacious. I actually loved ordering at the front then finding your own spot to sit and wait for your order - found this very efficient especially with how busy it was. The food was DELICIOUS, I had the lox and egg sandwich and it was super tasty. The crispy potatoes were one of the best I've ever had. I had a capaccino which was small but still nice. Very pricey though, expect to spend around $30 per person. However, the experience was very lovely and the food was super good. I left feeling full and satisfied. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious place. I ordered a bowl with creamy scrambled eggs, bacon and charred tomato salsa. The flavor of the salsa was the stuff of dreams—a little smoky with fresh garden tomato zing. It’s the kind of flavor you think about when you recall your trip to Edmonton a week or so later. Heck, there are places I’ve been to 20 years ago that I can still recall the flavors. I don’t remember the names of the places, but the images and flavors are fresh in my memory! Anyway! This place had great coffee, friendly faces, and service was great, as was the atmosphere. You walk up to the counter and order and take a number to your seat. Homemade pastries and donuts too! Must go here (again)!

Atmosphere is loud and busy. Food is everything I want it to be. I have been looking for a good soup, and I found here an amazing one. Managed to get it with a truly perfect donut as well. Just came for a quick snack but definitely coming back for lunch, breakfast and everything else they've got. Price is very good for what you get since the food is basically perfect. We are so lucky to have this. Please stay here forever, Rosewood Foods.

Donuts delicious. Soup quite spicy. Tables quite close together and can get loud so not really a place to sit and get some work done. But it’s a cozy shop in a quieter part of downtown.

I was visiting Edmonton and wandered downtown to find a nice place for breakfast, which is when I stumbled upon Rosewood Foods. It is a clean, simple little place - honestly doesn't look like much and you order at the front and pay ahead of time - but it really delivered in the food-and-drink department. The atmosphere is nice and quiet, perfect for reading and drinking a coffee or having conversation. The drink I ordered - london fog with almond milk - was very good. But the real star was the food. I ordered a scallion, egg, and cheese sandwich. It was soft and buttery and absolutely covered in melty cheese. Even more than I enjoyed my sandwich, I enjoyed the potatoes. I have never had such crispy breakfast potatoes. They are smashed and fried I think? Really exceptional; I usually don't like plain potatoes but I could eat these all day, even without ketchup or hot sauce or anything. Really impressed. Only complaint is that it's so far from my home so I won't be able to visit again anytime soon! Edit: I visited a second time on my trip because I couldn't stop thinking about those potatoes. This time I got a mushroom hash and again: so, so good. I've added a photo of the hash. Definitely recommend.

Thomsons Kitchen & Bar is a sophisticated dining destination that emphasizes local and sustainable ingredients while serving up contemporary Canadian cuisine. This hotel restaurant offers an exceptional brunch experience, perfect for special occasions like Father's Day. Guests can indulge in a lavish spread featuring breakfast favorites such as Eggs Benedict, buttermilk pancakes, and an omelet bar. The buffet also includes a delightful selection of charcuterie, cheeses, chilled seafood, carving stations with Alberta beef, and an array of delectable desserts.
My wife and I were out for a walk and she got cold so we looked for a place to stop in and warm up. What a treat it was to randomly pick this place. Their drink menu had so many fun and unique drinks that we intentionally came back the next night for drinks before our dinner reservation. We tried a couple appetizers here as they sounded so good on the menu and we were not disappointed. The presentation is next level and the food taste even better than it look. On top of this the atmosphere is cozy. The staff are all super friendly. And the seating is comfortable enough that if you wanted to spend hours here trying many different drinks you could do so with ease. We have already made plans to come here for a full meal experience on our next date night.

This was our first visit to Thomsons and I would highly recommend it if you are staying at the adjacent hotel. We appreciated not having to leave the hotel for supper after a long day of driving. The food was very tasty, the server was friendly, and it was pretty quiet. We ordered the steak bites for an appetizer, and although they were very good, the portion size was quite small. Suitable for 2 people. Then we ordered the Bison Short Ribs, the Brisket Poutine, and Caesar Salads with Grilled Chicken. All our food was delicious and the portion sizes were more than suffice. Overall, a pretty good dining experience.

Thompson's kitchen & bar. I have had buffet brunches around Calgary a lot. There is some very good ones out there and this one is by far one of the top 10. IT IS my favorite brunch buffet in Calgary now . They have live music very relaxing. All the food was fresh and delicious, and let me tell you about all the choices. So many delicious choices. All the desserts we're so well done and not overly sweet. And don't forget to top off your meal with a nice Caesar. You definitely won't regret going here for brunch. FOOD PORN....

We decided to try their Sunday brunch buffet for a special occasion event and they did not disappoint! As they're part of the Hyatt Hotel they had beautiful Christmas decor which made the place look really nice. We received friendly service through the entire meal, although they forgot our drinks orders a few times and couldn't be found for a long time at one point. Their selection of food was excellent, with clear labels in front stating allergens or lack of. I actually found many items were gluten and dairy free, which is great for those with intolerances. They also constantly replaced empty plates/trays so there was always freshly prepped food out. They had the usual breakfast items like scrambled eggs, omelettes made to order, sausages etc, and they also have eggs benedict's made to order, followed by a carvery station featuring med rare striploin roast, seafood like jumbo shrimp and Atlantic smoked salmon, then the charcuterie board with lots of pickled items, cured meats and cheeses. The highlight dishes for me were definitely the plump jumbo shrimp and the tender smoked salmon- the salmon tasted like it was made in house, it was far better than any store bought one I've ever had! For hot foods they had corn chowder which was delicious and creamy, variety of vegetable dishes, fish and more. Their desserts selection was smaller but still a good variety. I loved their mini tres leches pots. The price was $45/pp which is on the higher side for a lunch/brunch buffet but the quality and variety of food was excellent so it was worth it for us! I can't wait to go back for another celebratory meal!

Absolute Hidden Gem 💎 of a restaurant. Their Sunday Brunch Buffet is a must! Totally a 5 star experience. It is on par with Vegas buffets like Wicked Spoon and the Wynn buffet in terms of taste and quality! Everything tasted amazing! They even had a raclette station! Love how you can create your own food adventure here. They have an omelette station, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, beef roast, an oatmeal station, potatoes, charcuterie, a yogurt station, shrimp, clams, Asian food like fried rice, soups, chicken, salmon, fresh baked pastries that are savoury and sweet, cakes, puddings, cookies, fruit, and much more! It’s like Christmas! Their French toast was the best French toast I’ve ever had. I don’t know what they did to it but it is one of the wonders of the world and they have all the toppings like syrup and whipped cream to top it off. Their fried rice was also soft and fluffy and highly above average. The cheeses and breads were top notch. Their white chocolate cheesecake panna cotta was also a standout. Such a wonderful feast. Can’t wait to come back.

IG:@intallaEats The Thompsons Kitchen and bar is a surprising hidden gem even though its in a popular area, Stevenson Ave, its never been busy the times I've gone, even in peak hours and the items I've had some far have been quite tasty. Thompsons bar fish and chips 24$ pre tip/tax 5/5 Filling 2/5 Presentation 2/5 Price 4/5 Taste 4/5 Texture 17/25 overall Fish and chips. The fish is battered the right amount it's fried good but it doesn't feel or taste particularly oily. Normally of its too oily ill get an upset stomach but not here, the chips are good but I prefer mine a little thinner and crispier, the coleslaw is pretty standard. But the fish stands out a lot to me amongst other places I've had fish and chips in Calgary Charcuterie and cheese 32$ pre tip/tax 3/5 Filling 3/5 Presentation 1/5 Price 4/5 Taste 4/5 Texture 15/25 As Charcuterie boards at restaurants go, this has been the the best one so far, usually they are quite disappointing and lackluster in quantity of items, this one is however had a proper good portion of cheese, the date Jam was splendid and the meats were good, was rationing the crackers for the board but after we were almost done found out we could've had more crackers.

I'm having 3 courses meal but I don't feel like dining in a high class place as Hyatt Regency would put itself as. Since this place is located inside Hyatt I'm expecting to have service as good as Hyatt. I'm getting rush to eat. The place wasn't that busy but I was given a partial wet table. Taste wise the food was good but even after I finished 1 bottle of San Pellegrino I was still thirsty after meal.

We ate at Thomsons for the first time last night and had a truly memorable experience. It was one of the most enjoyable restaurant visits we've had in quite some time. The food was excellent. I ordered the steak sandwich, and my husband had the rack of lamb—both dishes were cooked to perfection. Our two toddlers had the fish and chips, which they thoroughly enjoyed. The fries and fish were crisp and flavorful without being greasy. The service stood out as exceptional. The two gentlemen who served us were attentive and genuinely kind, especially toward our children. They took the time to learn their names and made them feel welcome and special throughout the evening. We appreciated the thoughtful kids menu alongside a well-rounded regular menu. We’ll definitely be returning.

My boyfriend and I decided to come here for a date night and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was relaxed but also fun and Indy. There is plenty of seating for big groups and gatherings while also having a personal and cozy feel if you grab a booth. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and inventive. The menu provided lots of options for any type of dietary restrictions and made you curious to try new things. Definitely a unique must see.

Went for my sister's birthday and it was really great, I had a/the French toast, bro had bacon cheddar burger, sis had chicken burger. Everyone thought it was delicious. Drinks were good. Don't recall what we all got. We were all super excited for this place and it definitely met our expectations. It was nice to hang with them as I don't see them often. Will definitely come again

We got there and it wasn't too busy and still we had to wait for around 1/2 hr for our food. We were served water, I finished my glass and was not offered more water until after I was already eating my food and had finished the water in the first 15 mins we were there. Food was good, not exceptional but good, the drink menu is a bit insane, for a breakfast/brunch diner, I mean coffee for $5? I had looked at the menu online before heading there and what I really wanted wasn't even offered anymore. I was excited to go there but we were dissapointed, simple as that.

Great place for breakfast, nice atmosphere and overall good service. Good variety of options on the breakfast menu and they also have some delicious Mimosa with different flavor options. Thet recently modified their cinnamon buns which was unfortunate. They used to have the hands down best cinnamon buns I've ever had to now being slightly above average at best. Overall great place and definitely recommend it.

One of the best dining experiences I've had in a very long time. Exceptional service and quality food. If you're in town looking for a great breakfast with good coffee service this is the spot.
Patrick L — Google review
First time and last time for me. Not very many negatives to say, well decorated place, decent selection on food options and great dark roast coffee. The service definitely lost 3 stars in my opinion. Was hard pressed to get a refill on the coffee towards the end of the meal, and only got the one. Ketchup didn’t come in a bottle, but little paper cups and they only served one for a whole plate of fries. Definitely don’t discourage anyone from trying this spot out for a lunch, but definitely could use some work on the service end, friendliness, professionalism and just good waiting. Hope this read was helpful to anyone who took the time to read it through. Cheers.

Awesome food, great service, lovely coffee (that's locally roasted!) Parents brought me here with family for brunch back in November and it was an absolutely wonderful brunch! Ordered the duck confit eggs benedict (with regular sauce, it usually comes with jalapeno hollandaise), and it was quite the lovely meal. Oh right and I started with a cinnamon bun that was insanely fluffy and ever so delicious, with icing that while sweet, wasn't overpoweringly sweet like a lot of places tend to do. It was a nice sweetness that complimented the soft fluffy cinnamon bun perfectly. While my plate did unfortunately leave the kitchen with an eggshell on the one half (instead of the egg), when it was brought to the waiter's attention it was not only fixed, but they gave me a whole entire half a meal of food to replace it.. Now that's service and fixing a mistake to say the least! Coffee was also rather lovely, and it was definitely great that when asked what kind of coffee they had our waiter immediately asked if I was wondering about the roaster, origin of the coffee, and type of roast, to which I replied yes, and got a detailed reply of what kind of coffee they had, which is so wonderful! At so many places you tend to get a blank stare when you ask this question.

Service was quick and great. Taking the rules regarding covid seriously. Food was delicious, we had the brunch special (pork quiche) and eggs Beneduckt. Both were great but I stole my husbands Quiche. The cornbread was great too.

This is a neat little restaurant, a hidden gem. The portions are great. They have the best onion rings, and the chicken superb burger is just that - superb 👌. Highly recommend visiting. Their menu has quite the variety, burgers, sandwiches, breakfasts, Mexican foods, Italian foods, and Indian foods.

Came here at a recommendation on my day trip to Drumheller and it was good! They did have a sign saying they were short staffed but I honestly didn’t even notice! The service was friendly and decently quick and the food came pretty fast too! Prices were really good for the food that you get. Great atmosphere too with trains chugging along overhead!!! A must try if you’re in Drumheller!

Cute spot for a good value meal. We popped in for breakfast based on other Google reviews and we're not disappointed. Took a bit longer than normal to get our food and although we were missing our bacon they quickly corrected it. Overhead trains were a fun touch. We thought the prices were very reasonable and staff was very friendly.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing breakfast at WHIFS Flapjack House! Our waitress Liz was absolutely fantastic – so friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. She really went above and beyond. The food? Hands-down the best we’ve ever had – everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavour. We left full and so happy. Highly recommend WHIFS if you’re in Drumheller. We’ll definitely be back!!

Absolutely amazing!!!! It was incredibly busy when we went due to the long weekend but we got seated at the bar fairly quickly considering. Our service was awesome...our cups never got empty! And the food was so good!!! You simply HAVE to eat there!

Wonderful spot. Saw their videos on tik tok and everything looked so good. Had to check it out on the way through town. The steak and eggs Benny was very good. Decent portions for the price. The staff were incredibly on the ball and friendly. Would definitely pop in again to try the rest of the menu

This is the small town cafe with big city prices. A chicken and bacon BLT on a brioche bun with fries was $25. Was it good? Yes, it was quite good actually. Crispy hand cut fries were served in a very large portion. Service was fast and polite but I don't think I'd go as far to say that it was friendly. The interior is dark and has some kind of Western motif I guess. Mostly it just looks cluttered and a bit dirty. All of that being said, I got there shortly before noon and the place was packed but they did find a seat for me at the counter. So obviously the locals support this place which is great. Overall, for me, I'd give it a four out of five. I'd say it's definitely worth a try if you're passing through diamond valley.

We stopped by The Chuckwagon on our last day of vacation after reading about it in a local tourism magazine and a local recommending it to us. We received a warm welcome and were seated quickly even thought the restaurant was very busy. Our server was friendly, professional, and fun. I ordered the traditional breakfast and my husband ordered the Ranchman's Breakfast. Both arrived in good time, piping hot, and plentiful in quantity. They were probably the best scrambled eggs and seasoned home fries I've had at a restaurant. My husband raved about the ham and sausage. We loved the old style, country atmosphere, and the fact that so many people coming in were greeted by name. If we lived nearby, we'd become regulars of this restaurant, too. Thanks for a wonderful meal and finishing our holiday celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary on a high.

We had such an amazing experience at Chuckwagon Café! The service was excellent, our server was so kind, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely out of this world delicious; every bite was packed with flavour and we loved it all. We didn’t even realize this restaurant was featured on You Gotta Eat Here until afterward, but it totally makes sense because you really DO gotta eat here! Such a gem. We’ll definitely be back! Next time we will save room for pie!!

Always a great meal. I had the steak Benny, the hollandaise was perfect, as usual. Steak was cooked just right. Real potato hash browns we tasty. Great little drive to get here too.

Good lord, that was the best steak I’ve ever eaten. That puts my grandpa’s steak to shame, and his steak was the main reason I loved the man! Fantastic service with a smile, my coffee cup never ran dry because the waitress was real quick with the pot. Steak and eggs, cooked perfectly, seasoned incredibly! An atmosphere that’s fun and properly Albertan. Worth every dime, I’ll make the commute out to Turner Valley for one reason alone. The Chuckwagon Cafe.

Road trip decisions. It was a rainy day, we had camped overnight, and were looking for a warm, cozy place to enjoy a sit down meal. The place was full on a Monday morning, and the wait was 15 minutes. It was worth the wait. I ordered coffee w/side of milk, and huevos rancheros. I ate as much as I could, and was full before the plate was clean. Enjoyed the service and the selection of breakfast meals. Would like to return and enjoy dining on the patio on a sunny day.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Calgary, Blue Vinny Diner exudes a chic and charming French-inspired ambiance. Renowned for its delectable eggs benedict, this cozy spot also offers a must-try spinach and havarti pie that's received rave reviews. Situated along 8th Avenue, this beloved diner is lauded for its casual atmosphere and incredible food at great prices.
Lovely diner right on Stephen Avenue that’s open early! If you want to get an early breakfast in that’s nice and filling, this is the place to be. Ordered a mushroom omelette and a coffee, and it’s some of the best diner food I’ve had. Definitely a highlight from visiting Calgary!

Three of us went for breakfast/brunch. The French omelet was so overdone it was rubbery. If you can’t make a pepper French omelette, maybe just don’t have it on the menu and stick with regular omelettes. The steak sandwich was perfect and delicious. The turkey and brie sandwich was bland however it had lots of turkey and brie. It would’ve been much better if it had a bit of a sauce or even some pickle. The salad was lovely but did not have enough dressing. Service was fabulous. Drinks were excellent cappuccino was perfect.

I had the breakfast bowl and it was so delicious, fresh and full of flavour! The latte was really good too, smooth and just the right balance. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made the experience even better. A great spot to start the day!

I had my most delightful meal of my Calgary trip here! Avocado eggs benedict, utterly amazing breakfast potatoes, and a lovely selection of fresh fruit (I'm used to getting melon only in the states!). The waitress was very helpful and attentive, asking me about my trip and even allowing me to purchase bottled water to have for my journey through the city that day. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant - the perfect relaxing ease into a day of adventure. :)

I absolutely loved my meal here. The waiter recommended the eggs benedict and it was the best eggs benedict I've ever had! Their lattes are also delicious! I'm just sad I don't live closer so I can't have it more often. Blue Vinny Diner is a must visit!!

Lovely little diner right in the heart of downtown, staff are friendly and the vibe is grandma's cooking, in keeping with that hash browns are mushy, but amazing bread, eggs and bacon, do recommend!

Prime real estate… for something else. Everything is 1 star. The service took forever for a simple black coffee and brunch. Our food came before the coffee. The atmosphere is weird, Christmas trees in July? The price of the menu does not reflect the food quality or size, portions are tiny and the taste is uneventful. Feels like cafeteria food honestly. SKIP THIS SPOT. Would love to see something new move in here.

I was visiting Calgary and went to the blue Vinny dinner for breakfast. We really enjoyed our morning here we had a cappuccino with baileys, waffles and Mediterranean omelette. The chef and waitress were super nice. You can tell they really put a lot of love and passion into everything they did. The presentation was great the food was great and the staff were super kind. I’d definitely come back here to try something else I really enjoyed the food
