Filipino restaurant
Goto Monster in Makati is a well-kept secret, known for its elevated take on the traditional Filipino dish, goto. This 24-hour restaurant offers a variety of toppings such as smoked fish, bagnet, tofu, and chicharong bulaklak to accompany the flavorful porridge. Additionally, they serve homemade ice cream pops with fun Filipino-inspired flavors.
Goto Monster serves good Pinoy food. A bit pricey but worth the taste, have a many food options to choose from. We liked the different Goto options, specially the Goto Bagnet. They also serve yummy dessert options which we liked. Service is good, well attended customer. Not crowded ( 👍👍 ). The place is well ventilated, no Air-con so bring portable fans if you need more ventilation 😊😊 The place is easy to find, just along the road. Parking… Well… very limited. So you’ll line up waiting on the road to be parked. No vehicle, pasok agad. Well recommended for hungry tummys. Hope this helps 🐾 Happy eating.

Went from eating here every week or so to dropping this from our rotation completely. The goto became saturated with MSG, to the point of being unpleasant. The toppings have also lessened. Their saving grace is still the tokwa and chicharon but I wouldn’t bother ordering anything else.
Émilie — Google review
I still prefer the no-frills, traditional goto + tokwa’t baboy. However, once in a while it’s nice to indulge in gourmet goto, and that’s where Goto Monster excels. My favorite is their Goto Beef Tripe. However, at the time of our latest visit it’s not available, so my wife and I ordered their Pork Bagnet and Shitake Mushrooms lugaw bowls (rice porridge). Both are great. We also ordered their Tokwa + Chicharon Bulaklak. Together with the Pork Bagnet lugaw, it’s the perfect recipe for a heart attack. But as long as you eat this infrequently and in moderation, I guess you’ll be alright. For drinks, we ordered their Calamansi Mint. It’s good, but we didn’t really taste the mint. Instead, it’s dominated by the calamansi taste. There’s also a slight bitter aftertaste (think accidentally chewing a calamansi seed). The staff are good. Service was reasonably efficient, with our orders served well within the 15-minute mark. For parking, it’s just street parking. On busy hours you might need to park a little farther from their place.
Joel C — Google review
Went to this popular spot on a Friday afternoon for lunch. I ordered a lugaw with chicharon bulaklak and was told to wait in their main dining room. The room is great—air-conditioned, clean, and with a nice vibe. It does have limited seating, so I'd suggest going at lunchtime if you don't want to eat outside since there are fewer people then (I got lucky and had the place to myself!). Just a few minutes later, my order arrived, and the amazing smell made my stomach growl. The serving was generous, with plenty of crispy chicharon bulaklak on top. The lugaw was probably the most savory I've ever had. It was so good that I didn’t even need to use any of the condiments on the table. The meal was very filling, and I was stuffed by the end. Overall, it's one of the best lugaws I've had, with a generous amount of freshly fried toppings. Definitely worth it, and I’ll be back for more!

Goto Monster serves up a comforting Filipino classic with a twist. Their take on goto, a traditional rice porridge, is anything but ordinary. With generous toppings like pork bagnet, crispy garlic, and salted egg, each spoonful is a symphony of flavors and textures. The warmth of the bowl coupled with the richness of the broth makes it the ultimate comfort food. Whether enjoyed as a hearty afternoon or a late-night snack, Goto Monster is a must-try for anyone craving a taste of Filipino comfort cuisine.
Joanikka C — Google review
Very pleased with the food here - the Pork Bagnet Silog is one of the best I’ve tried, very crispy and quite generously portioned. The beef tripe porridge was also very tasty. Calamansi mint was also extremely refreshing and much needed on a very hot day. There were very few seats available in the dining area, but water was provided and there was aircon. Would return just for the crispy pork!

NOT YOUR USUAL CARINDERIA Goto Monster never fails to give me delicious meals. I've been a patron for over a decade. Back then, a heaping bowl of their lugaw was only P85. I've also known Jean Hill, the owner, for roughly the same amount of time. After being in advertising for sometime, she ventured into the food business. One thing Jean knows so well is flavor. She mixes and formulates her own line of sauces, from her Adobong Suka, Chili Sauce, Soy Sauce and Fish Sauce. One comment of foreign foodie friends is that Filipino food is not as vibrant in taste as its other Asian counterparts like Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, moreso India, China or Korea. They say that the predominant taste is sweet, sour and salty. This is where Jean and Goto Monster delivers in spades. Flavor layering is present in all of her dishes, she's able to capture spicy, a bit of bitter and umami. Specially, when you mix in her sauces, they just create a symphony in your mouth. The humble ambience of her restaurant belies the deluge of flavors in her offerings. I was joking her before that she has the "Louboutin of Lugaw" with her signature red egg (like the red sole) in her rich yellow ochre turmeric broth heightened by tinapa flakes. Pack this in with Ilocano Bagnet and you'd have a whimsical mix of texture, color and taste. They now go for P175 a bowl (vs P85 before) or P117 with my senior discount. For her lugaw, my recommendations would be the Bagnet, then the Chicken Adobo or the Mushroom if you want a vegetarian meal. She also offers top-notch ALTANGHAPSILOGS or ALmusal, TANGhalian or HAPunan SInangag with itLOG. My favorites would be the Longganisa, followed by her Tapa then the Chicken Adobo. The great thing with her Silogs is that they already come with her scrumptiously delicious Mustasa Salad. Priced at P250 (P179 with my senior discount). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Chito M — Google review
For the price, the atmosphere of the place is not very nice. Outside area can be smelly and the inside is not very organized and clean. Food is quite expensive (waffles for 280!!), but quite good. Bagnet goto - I enjoyed it but I had to have another half bowl of plain goto to be really full. Good chunks of bagnet. At first I find the salted duck eggs weird but I liked it in the end with the plain goto Tripe goto - my partner did not like the tast of tripe very much, I tasted it and it's quite weird (not very "clean" taste) Plain tokwa - good tokwa, better than others I have tasted. The adobong suka goes very well with it! Mais con yelo with leche flan ice cream - my fave!! I love that I don't have to mix the ice with the yelo. The ice cream is top notch. Very creamy. I want to be able to order it alone! Will probably come back to try the other interesting items in the menu.

2Goto Tendon Araneta Avenue

Restaurant
Goto Tendon Araneta Avenue is renowned for its wide variety of delectable Filipino dishes made with high-quality ingredients. The restaurant is particularly famous for its signature dish, the Goto Tendon, which boasts a flavorful broth derived from beef bones boiled and simmered for extensive durations. This mouthwatering delight is further enhanced by the addition of imported U.S. beef tendon, tripe, a quail egg, and chicharon bits.
One of our comfort foods when we wanted to get a quick and warm foods. The Sizzling Goto Beef Tendon and of course their Goto Tendon Lugaw are some of my favourites especially on rainy days. We always order together with Tokwa't Baboy and Fried Lumpia. For dessert, it's also perfect during summer with their Ube Con Nyebe and other halo halo type.
Mike F — Google review
Goto Tendon never fails to dissapoint. Definitely not my first time dining here. There is good value. Menu items are priced appropriately, portions are good and flavor is definitely good. Service is on point. Place is clean and spacious. Nothing much to say. No frills Goto. You get what you pay for. A decent restaurant to add to your usual regular rotation. Only that the place isn’t really accessible through public transportation easily, and its located in the middle of nowhere. Parking is plentiful but its along G Araneta. Would definitely come back!
Marvin U — Google review
Excellent service, mabilis sila kahit marami tao. I'd say it's too pricey for the taste, quantity, and quality of food. (Goto, pares, sizzlers). Regular goto has like 3-4 strips of 1x5cm tripes and a quail egg. However, I can't say for their other food. Sorry if the food photo is unpresentable, I took the photos mid consumption.
Romelo A — Google review
Sufficient seating capacity. Overall Clean. Wish tendon is tender. Flavor is in the sauce. Crisp Tokwa taste good with the soy vinegar sauce. No acid after taste. Limited parking space.
Andrew — Google review
The best Beef Pares for me! Their sizzling beef tendon pares is always my go-to order. Fried tofu is a must order too! But their pares is super mahal na. 300 for a meal 😅
Roxy L — Google review
We had a great visit to Goto Tendon. My wife loved their sizzling tendon, and I really enjoyed the corned beef bulalo. Portions were just right, prices were reasonable, and staff were attentive. Plus, there’s ample free parking which is always a plus. Will definitely be back.
Nathaniel A — Google review
My favorite pares in the world! Perfect balance of savory, salty and sweetness. Their chili garlic is also incredible! Slow heat that coats your throat but not unbearably spicy. A bit on the pricier end but they deliver consistency.
G T — Google review
Had late lunch on a Sunday here. Quite a lot of customers despite the time and awkward parking/location. The generous portion if crispy binagoongan was such a find. Tender, perfectly seasoned meat with just the right amount of bagoong, super sulit. Skip the lumpias. The iced desserts- i would suggest just getting the smaller size, as the the amount of toppings for the large and small sizes are the same. Only the amount of shaved ice differs- not worth the upsize in my opinion. Overall, would come back for the binagoongan and iced chocolate dessert.

3Lugawan sa Tejeros

Restaurant
Lugawan sa Tejeros is a popular spot that has gained a loyal following for its delicious and affordable lugaw. Despite its unassuming appearance, this eatery in Makati has become a bustling two-story establishment with branches in Taguig and Kalentong. The standout dish here is the lugaw served with lechong kawali, crispy deep-fried pork chunks that add a flavorful twist to the traditional porridge.
4 July 2025 Honest Food Review: Lugawan sa Tejeros, Makati We recently visited Lugawan sa Tejeros, a well-known food carinderia located at 1006 Chino Roces Ave., Makati City, and it definitely lived up to its reputation! Here’s what we ordered and our full experience: 🍽️ What We Tried: - L3 Lugaw with Lechon Kawali: This was very flavorful even without adding their free condiments. The lugaw already had a rich, savory taste, and they were generous with the lechon kawali. It never disappoints! - Chicharon Bulaklak: Crispy and crunchy, served with vinegar on the side. However, it was slightly overcooked during our visit, which gave it a bit of a burnt aftertaste. - Palabok: Their palabok was overloaded with toppings – packed with meat, egg, and crushed chicharon. It was very filling and flavorful! The only downside is that since it’s loaded with toppings, the sauce tends to dry up quickly. The noodles absorb the sauce fast, and it wasn’t enough to coat everything evenly. 🏠 Dining Space & Facilities: - There are no chairs on the ground floor, but they have plenty of seating available on the 2nd floor (al fresco style). - They also have restrooms and electrical outlets upstairs for customer use. - Each table on the 2nd floor has condiments like fish sauce, calamansi, ground pepper, ketchup, and fried garlic. - If you want chili sauce, it’s available for ₱5.00. 🚗 Other Notes: - Parking: Roadside parking is available for motorcycles only; no car parking space. - Security: The place has a lot of CCTV cameras inside and outside, including near the parking area, for added security. - Payments: Cash only; they don’t accept any online payments or bank transfers. - Service: Self-service setup. - Delivery: Available via GrabFood. - Accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible. - Operating Hours: Open 24/7, perfect for early breakfast, late-night cravings, or anytime in between. 🔊 Important Note: Since Lugawan sa Tejeros is located along a busy roadside, the area can get quite noisy because of the vehicles passing by. This is something to keep in mind, especially if you’re looking for a quieter dining environment. 🎥 Fun Fact: Lugawan sa Tejeros has been featured on popular shows such as Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, Ka-Tonying, and even Netflix! ✅ Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for affordable, filling, and flavorful Filipino comfort food, Lugawan sa Tejeros is a must-try. The portions are generous, the dishes are satisfying, and the place has that classic, no-frills carinderia charm. Just be ready for a bit of roadside noise, and remember that it’s cash-only and self-service. Overall, it’s a solid spot for your lugaw and Filipino street food cravings! 📸 Attached below are the photos of their latest menu, the food we ordered, and their 2nd floor dining area.
Astrid — Google review
Good hearty lugaw and much more - NOTE: NO CAR PARKING so you'll need to really want to eat here, or risk parking nearby if you're a car owner. Was featured in Netflix Midnight Asia and much more. TIP: GO first thing in the morning if you want to dine-in at the 2nd floor seating area. I heard it's sardine-packed at night.
Rocky A — Google review
Stumbled upon this lugawan on our way to Circuit once and been wanting to eat here since. My boyfriend and I both tried the P3! I’d personally give it an 8/10. Next time lugaw naman! 🤗
Stephannie Y — Google review
You order on the first floor and wait for your food, then go upstairs to eat. They have several tables upstairs. - Arroz Caldo w/ Lechon Kawali 5/5 The arroz caldo was really delicious with the Lechon Kawali. The Lechon was crispy and provided a good texture to the arroz Caldo. It wasn’t too oily and tasted clean. Free chili oil on the side! Add a lot of calamansi to the dish. - Godo w/ Lechon Kawali 3.2/5 The intestines were okay, I wouldn’t get the Godo if you don’t like intestines. Difficult street parking.
Ellen K — Google review
The BEST lugaw ( rice porridge) this side of town! It’s just the right consistency ( not too thick), very flavorful as it is), topped with crunchy garlic bits AND my choice of lechon kawali ( fried pork belly) - crispy skin, soft meat. Squeeze a bit of calamansi and, I like to add a bit of vinegar with onions. YUMMY. All for p65.00 ! The portion is generous enough as a hearty snack ( yes, in the Philippines, we eat 5 times a day). There’s an open air dining area on the upper level, which was pleasant enough since it was a cloudy day. However, it’s along a busy thoroughfare so the air is ahhh… a bit polluted. 😂 Nevertheless, it was a welcome break from restaurants inside malls, all the same. Loved it!
Marlene P — Google review
Tried the arroz caldo, it's Like congee but a bit more watery. It had a strong ginger flavour and somehow the chicken taste a bit sour (like vinegar? And gingery as well). Since sour (vinegar) is not my favourite taste palate so I can't really love the food. The pork really saved the food. I think the add-on of lechon kawali really saved the dish, it gives a bit of that umami flavour. The place itself you order at the ground floor, for take away you wait there, for dine in you'll be called your order and can sit on the 2nd floor. The concept is cleaning up after yourself but it seems people sometimes aren't cleaning up after themselves.
Yuwanda K — Google review
Lugawan sa Tejeros in Makati is a classic spot for affordable, delicious Filipino comfort food. It’s open 24/7, making it perfect for late-night cravings or early breakfasts. They’re famous for their lugaw with lechon kawali, but honestly, their tapsilog is my favorite—flavorful, filling, and super budget-friendly. The place can get pretty packed, and parking’s tight, but the food’s worth it. If you don’t feel like going out, they’re also on Food Panda. It’s one of those go-to spots you keep coming back to for reliable, satisfying meals.
Dana — Google review
I have been eating here since I was young because we live just around the area. I have seen how this place has improved. Now I like the dining area, it's still open although it lacks fan so it can be very hot especially in the afternoon. Highly recommended the lugaw with egg and lechon.

If you're in the Kapitolyo area and find yourself craving a late-night bite, Goto Believe is a must-visit spot that captures the essence of Filipino comfort food. This cozy eatery, reminiscent of traditional Japanese izakayas, serves up warm rice porridge known as goto alongside delicious silog meals featuring fried rice, eggs, and grilled meats.
Finally got to try Goto Believe during a recent craving for a midnight snack. After driving around Capitol Commons, Shaw Blvd., Pioneer Center and Greenfield District areas, we settled on Kapitolyo and since it was already getting late, our options were getting limited. So glad we managed to partake of Goto Believe's offerings before they closed for the night. Their menu reminded me of Goodah!, what with the humor and lugaw choices, but Goto Believe's menu has more choices and variety, including creative twists on all-time favorites.
Rene S — Google review
January 2025: My first impression? The place may be small, but it has a delightful cleanliness that makes you feel right at home. Plus, the air conditioning is refreshingly cold—just what you need! We decided to try a few dishes: Goto Heaven, GOBAGLOG (a tasty mix of Goto rice, Bagnet, and Itlog), and Tokwa't Baboy. Let me tell you, the goto was a standout—absolutely delicious! However, I found the goto rice to be a bit lacking in flavor, which was a letdown. The bagnet was surprisingly thin and didn’t quite match the hearty version I expected. And the Tokwa't Baboy? It had an unusual sweetness that caught me off guard. Overall, it's a mixed bag of flavors, but definitely worth a try! The only downside is that the serving crew was noisy, which can be distracting to customers.
Cute N — Google review
Goto Believe never fails! Their food is consistently masarap, and it’s my go-to spot for isaw, betamax, and spicy goto cravings. They recently moved to a new location, just across their old spot, and it’s a big upgrade from before, definitely a nice improvement.
Roan D — Google review
They offer their silog meals with a choice of sinangag or goto. Yung Kape lang, lasang 3-in-1 , hopefully, they serve brewed coffee soon 🙂

Goto is one of my go to food since college. From normal goto to goto under alabang’s viaduct to gotong batangas.. i can say I tasted much goto can offer. Goto believe- kapitolyo 1. Food - tastes average, I ordered goto with grilled liempo, well it’s ok but the liempo was sliced thinly. 2. Service - average, no extra ordinary service 3. Atmosphere - could be better, you look at the pictures the walis tambo.😀 Maybe i’ll try other goto resto next time

Not eating here anytime soon. If you ordered food for delivery around lunch on 09 May 2025, you probably ate insect residue. We got the insect. On the food; was not able to eat due to the insect. And they also failed to follow instruction on what not to add to the food. The staff were friendly, but were incompetent to handle such situation. Lunch atmosphere was ok. Nothing good or bad.

GOTO Believe has always been one of our go-to spots. We're proud to see that they've expanded to a new location that now offers both dine-in and al fresco options. We first started dining with them during the pandemic, and we've been fans ever since. Tonight, we visited again and initially requested to be moved to a table near the air conditioner. We asked one of the staff members, Renzy, if we could switch tables. The place was full, and the only available tables were small two-seaters with high chairs. Renzy offered us a table near the entrance, but that wasn’t the spot we preferred. We politely asked a second time to be seated at a table beside the aircon, which had a laptop and some snacks (like Indian mango and plastic-wrapped treats) on it. Renzy declined again, saying the table has a laptop so we thought the the laptop was from the customer. At first, we let it go, but since we couldn't feel the air conditioning from where we were. We saw Renzy eating the indian mango on the table that we preferred. We tried again—this time asking a different server named Kim. Kim was very polite and accommodating. He quickly cleared the table, put the laptop aside, cleaned up the mess, and made us feel welcome. Clearly, the table *was* available—so it left us wondering why Renzy declined our simple request not once, but twice. We love the food and always enjoy the menu, but Renzy’s attitude tonight was disappointing. She came off as unwelcoming, somewhat sarcastic, and indifferent to our comfort. We hope she can be trained further on proper customer service, good manners, and professional conduct. Kudos to Kim and the rest of the staff who made our visit enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back—but hopefully with better service from everyone next time.

Filipino restaurant
Sarsá Kitchen + Bar, led by renowned chef JP Anglo, is a strong advocate for Filipino cuisine and culture. During the pandemic, the restaurant showed support for healthcare workers, raised funds for typhoon victims, and provided aid to delivery couriers. They also collaborated with other local establishments to offer family meal sets and ready-to-cook kits featuring Negrense dishes that are not commonly found in the city.
It was my first time trying out Sarsa and I was already sure I'm going to go back to this resto (not just to try other dishes we haven't ordered but also re-order some of our faves). My friends and I ordered a good mix of food and the only thing that disappointed me was my stomach which can't take in more spoonfuls. Everything was delicious and has a unique filipino taste that appealed to our taste buds. The atmosphere was also very cozy and fitting for night caps. Favorites: Chicken Isaw, Inasal Sisig, Kare kare

You can experience Filipino culture by enjoying a lively meal together. The flavors are rich and salty, so you'll likely need plenty of drinks or rice to balance them. There are some areas where the service could be improved, but they were hardly noticeable. Overall, it was a great atmosphere.

Had Sarsa for dinner on a Friday night. We made reservations, but the place was not so packed when we arrived around 7pm. We had a balikbayan from Australia so we wanted to have some Filipino food. We heard about Chef JP Anglo’s Sarsa, so we wanted to give it a try. What we ordered: EMPANADA 🫔 3.5/5 - A bit dry, not so special. The sauce elevated it by a bit. An alright starter. KINILAW 🐟 4.5/5 - We loved this and the sauce was great. We loved the blend of spicy, sour, and sweet in this dish. For the price though, it didnt feel justified. Some of the cuts of fish were too small to have an enjoyable texture. I think the cut affected our experience and we ended up comparing it to other kinilaws that we’ve tried. Would have went well also with bread to soak up the sauce. SIZZLING KANSI 🍖 4/5 - My friends really loved this one. Great with rice! 3 WAYS SISIG 🍛 3/5 - Not too special. I think this was our least favorite because it felt like we were eating simple pork fat with not much flavor. CRAB TORTANG TALONG 🦀 4.5/5 - Second star of the show. Was worried since another comment said it was regular torta, but a friend who does not like torta really loved it. The alamang, crispy bits, soft torta, and sauce all went well together. I’d dream about this hahaha PINAKBET RICE 🍚 3.5/5 - A tad bit too oily for our liking. Didnt have a strong flavor so it could pair easily with our other dishes. 💸 Bill for 4 people: 3,400 *about 850 per person 🚽 Bathroom: clean, no bidet. But the lit incense was a bit suffocating. Overall, it was a bit pricey, and we were worried at first about the quantity of the food because it didn’t look like it was enough. We ended up having some takeout though since I think we had too much oil in this meal. Nonetheless, we enjoyed and may come back for that crab torta!

We really wanted to love this place since we’re big fans of Chef JP Anglo, but our dine-in experience was underwhelming, sorryyy 😞 Pecho inasal was dry and bland and the 3-way sisig felt more like a gimmick... once mixed, it tasted like regular sisig you can get elsewhere for less. The only standout for us was the gising-gising. Unfortunately, the loud blender noise from the bar made us feel overstimulated, youll hear it in our videos. Spent around ₱1,500 for the dishes in our photo, but to be honest, we’ve had better meals at more affordable spots.

Saw this resto from a food blogger and got curious, so we tried it today. Ambiance: Decent. The bamboo light covers are nice, and the space isn’t that big — around 11 or 12 tables only. Service: Attentive and polite. They served our food with a short explanation about each dish. Food: For someone who has been outside the Philippines for a long time and misses this kind of food, we’ve tried several local dishes — from kanto-style to more elevated ones like this. We ordered: • Laing – 3/5. It was good, but nothing special about the taste. • Beef Kansi – 2.5/5. Again, nothing special. It tastes like bulalo. The serving was very small for ₱800+. Overall, not worth it. • Chicken Isaw – 1/5. Nothing special either, and it costs around ₱300+ for just 3 sticks. It’s dry isaw with vinegar sauce — that’s it. Honestly, kanto-style isaw tastes way better. • Rice – 4/5. For the price, the serving size is quite decent. Overall: It’s worth trying once, but we wouldn’t recommend coming back. Of course, everyone has different tastes, but for us, this place serves common-tasting food at high prices. I hope the management realizes that their pricing doesn’t match the quality — not even the place itself. I don’t mind paying ₱3,000+ for two if the food is great, but this one… nah!

The no BS review: Food: 5/5 - The beef kansi will not disappoint you! Service: 5/5 - Food was served within 10min after ordering. Atmosphere: 5/5 - Felt cozy and at home. I generally like their interior design which gave a light atmosphere. Price: 5/5 - The price did not really increase that much over the years. Also, their serving size is quite generous. The 1st time I tried Sarsa was at their BGC branch waaaay back 2017 or 2018. The first dish that I tasted was their chicken isaw and their famous beef kansi soup. At that time, my taste buds were introduced to a whole new world of flavors and absolutely loved it. Fast forward to 2025. I brought my wife to their Makati branch. It's her first time eating at Sarsa. We ordered isaw, kansi and crab tortang talong. Again..... an explosion of flavors. DELICIOUS! LAMI JUD! Their recent Michelin selection is truly well-deserved! Congrats to Chef JP and his team.

If you're missing Vigans boiled, deep-fried pork belly, try 8065 Bagnet. This family-owned restaurant in Metro Manila serves some of the Philippines' finest bagnet, using the dish for other dishes such as sinigang na bagnet and original bagnet.
I love the chill vibe and the dim lights. This will always be one of my favorite places to go to! The service was fast; we got the food in less than 8 minutes. Their dynamite and kangkong were nicely cooked. Although it's not supposed to be the highlight of the meal, the bagoong is just way too good!
Jared S — Google review
Food was great as usual, though as Ilocanos we sometimes wonder about the authenticity of the bagnet. However our biggest problem during our visit yesterday was that… the bathroom was atrocious. Roaches everywhere?! Water puddle on the floor. Roach crawling on the toilet seat. Roach on and near the tissue. Even a dead cockroach INSIDE the liquid soap dispenser. I don’t think I want to come back unless this is remedied. If there’s cockroaches all over that area, who knows where else they are? I’m sorry, for a restaurant I’ve loved and raved about for over a decade, this is just unacceptable.
Imee M — Google review
Please do not put your opening hours as 11AM if you are not ready to provide service yet. Went there today around 10:45 since 8065 Bagnet is a nostalgic place for me. Staff came at 11AM said they still need to get ready, and advised a 45min wait time. Prep work should be done before you open your doors.

Good service, and good food and drinks for the price. No parking on premises but has a very casual approaching cozy vibe to the place. Would definitely recommend for friend groups and as a casual place to hangout.

Originally, they have been located at St. Paul Street. But has been moved to a newer and smaller location at the dar end of Estrella street. I have been this place since November 2022, but regardless of moving to a newer location their service is impeccable to the standard that it os always packed with customers because of their famous dishes and affordability. It is a bit of walk for some who are not regular customers, but when you make it there all that traveling is worth the meal they serve. I should try their coffee just to hang out on a less crowded day the next visit.
Mark C — Google review
It is owned by Kitchi Nadal. Place. Air-conditioned. There is an option to stay outside and watch TV while eating. Inside the restaurant is air-conditioned but not really that strong. It is enough to be comfortable. There are books, paintings and plaque of recognitions as part of interior design. Food. I recommend Bagnet Kate-kare, Bagnet Sinigang and Bagnet regular. You can as for free Mango and Bagoong but the Mango is so soury. Bagoong is not really that excellent. Price. Worth the price. Menu is good for 2 to 3 person. Their Ala carte is great. I like the quality of their cook rice and flavored rice like Bagoong rice. Experience. We can buy rice from outside and we will order their menu. Staff. Very accommodating. They served their food less than 15 minutes of not peak hour. We went their like 4pm.
Ady F — Google review
There's something about their Bagnet that draws us to them. We got our first taste of their Bagnet when they were still at Leon Guinto. Then we followed them when they moved to Estrella, Makati. Now they're at St Paul, Makati and we are still dropping by from time to time. They have several Bagnet dishes which I think we have tried all, but our favorite is still the original Bagnet. It's the real deal, oily, crispy, salty, unhealthy pork goodness. I also recommend you try the Binagoongan and Spicy gata flavors. Don't forget to apply self control and awareness, else might find yourself ordering extra rice and extra rice.

Same great taste. Been dining here since 2011, the food and staff is superb as always. You can order the budget meal or the regular meal. They have a smoking area and they also serve beer. The ambience is good, perfect for groups or if you just want to be alone to enjoy the food.

I was so looking forward to this. I grew up liking their Dimsum and their congee a lot. I got the pork ball congee. The meat ball use to have denser texture. It was still decent, but it was no where near what I remember the taste to be.👍 The hakaw tasted perfect. It has that crunch inside while the outside has that firm, chewy texture. 👍👍👍 The beef wonton noodles was decent. The noodles had that artificial looking tint to it. It was still great! Overall it was quite ok.

Slow... Waiters are overwhelmed and unable to cope with a half filled room . Wanton soup is flavorless. Sweet and sour prawn dumplings are overpriced for the quantity served. The sauce lacks character. The dumpling themselves are filled with something that is definitely not a shrimp. The rice was bland and borderline cold. When asked for cutlery, the waiter was kind enough to provide me with a dirty fork and a spoon... This is more like fast food...

Zubuchon is a renowned restaurant with multiple branches across the Philippines, including locations in Makati City, Pasig City, Mandaluyong City, Taguig City, Quezon City, Las Pinas City, and Muntinlupa City. The menu features their famous Boneless Zubuchon available in servings for two, four, or six people as well as whole lechon options.
Lechon at its finest 👍🏻 I often see this resto in the malls. But I always refuse to eat here. As you can see, its all about lechon. 🐷 But one day, my wife requested to have dinner here. So this is it! ☺️ We ordered the Boneless Lechon, Five Pork Fried Rice (M), and a Pumpkin Soup. Yes, it is true that the Five Pork Fried Rice is good for 2-3 persons 👍🏻 Its like eating a rice toppings already because of the ingredients.🤗 It was great ☺️ Also the Pumpkin Soup, it was delicious too. Last but not the least, the Boneless Lechon.. the skin was absolutely crunchy and tasty. I just noticed it that the skin was different. You know the "usual" lechon skin are color some kind of red, right? But it is still crunchy. But this lechon skin was totally different. It was like eating a chicharon already. The price of the boneless lechon was a bit high, but they weigh it by grams so I am not exactly sure if this is expensive or not.. but we are after the taste, ofcourse. I guess their medium sized boneless lechon is good for 2-3 pax. And the meat of the lechon was not the "fats" of the pig. The staff said it is the belly. Because mostly when you buy a lechon or pork meat, it contains a lot of fats or bones. But, yeah, it is a boneless lechon so I can say that it is worth the price 👍🏻💲😎 Make sure that you check your BP ☺️ And drink lots of water after. Drink tea for digestion ☺️ Exercise, okay 🤗 Staff are friendly. Big tables. Nice ambience. Loved the music-opm r&b 🎶🎵 (Rare for a resto like this) Will be coming back for more. 📖 (Menu) The server told us to try next time the Classic Lechon 👍🏻 P. S. They haven't adjusted their time hours here.

Been here many times, and each time is as good as the last. The food is reliably very good and so is the service. I noticed less people today than maybe three years ago, I think they may have been affected by the other Cebu lechon restaurants. Still this is one place I'll go back to as long as I'm in the area.

Well, just tried the famous crispy pork by yesterday but unfortunately the pork skin was a bit hard to chew and not crisp at all.. the smoked fish with salted egg and veggies was okay, and the crab fried rice was tasty, worth to give a try for other dishes as well with their famous star fruit juice :-)

Awful awful AWFUL SERVICE! Took us 5 mins to be seated when there are plenty of seats available on a off peak time. We will not be seated if i did not call the inattentive servers. Tables are sticky! Served us Poor / Lapse quality lechon! All the servers are not smiling at all! Most awful was that we were given water with a glass unwashed and still has Lipstick on it. Via Mare, which means "way of the sea," is a well-loved Filipino dining establishment that has been serving delicious seafood since its founding in 1975. Over the years, it has expanded to offer catering services without compromising on quality. The restaurant's specialties include Pancit Luglug, Arroz Caldo, Kare-Kare, Oysters, Pako Salad, Almondigas Soup, and Lumpiang Sariwa.
My go-to spot in Manila for a comforting meal or to indulge in their dessert offerings. The food never disappoints, and the service is always on point. I love their new location and décor—warm and inviting. Highly recommended!

Chicken Inasal was extremely dry and lacked taste. This was not savory at all though a good option if one is in a diet. I found the rice and chicken not warm when it was served.
Yannah — Google review
The service crew was too noisy. People at the dining area and at the kitchen were talking loudly the whole time we were dining. They were too busy chatting that they forgot to serve our coffee, which we eventually canceled because we were already done eating, and still, coffee was not served. Bibingka had a slightly burnt, chewy base. It seems like it was already reheated several times already. Fresh lumpia was too small of a serving size for its price. Not a pleasant dining experience, overall.

Apr 2025: This is your trusted go-to place for reliably good comfort food. We ordered bibingka, pancit Malabon and ginatan halo-halo and they delivered. Someone commented about the interior. I actually find it nice but can get crowded. The problem is that the mall itself is on the warm side. Service-wise, the staff were attentive and quick. Kudos to them.

Yesterday, we ordered Sinigang Shrimp, Crispy Pata, Gambas, Salad na Paco and Sinigang na Karne. Always love their Sinigang na karne at Powerplant Branch so I know how should it taste like. Obviously, I am making this comment coz of that. I've included some pictures and it's up to you to judge. I told them our observation about their Sinigang na Karne and maybe they just don't care coz we haven't heard anything from them after that. Other than that, the place is comfy and good.
Xenon S — Google review
The place was newly renovated. The service though has degraded considerably. The table smelled like wet dog rag. After wiping with alcohol and tissue it's filthy... Food is okay but can't help but wonder if it's clean. Via Mare best years are definitely behind it. Hope management can do something to improve it once again.
Daniel Y — Google review
In the food scene, there are a lot of restos popping. And you experience either a hit or a miss when trying out. But then there's Via Mare. A steady staple of good comfort food. The bibingka is buttery and served hot is so good. The halo-halo had just the right ingredients, the ice easy to mix, and overall not too sweet. So when you don't want to overthink where to eat, this is a good default option.

Foods are so nice! My favorite here is the sweet and sour fish fillet. The service is good and accommodating. They are so nice to my baby , they even gave her a balloon. Thank you staff!
Angel C — Google review
it's my first time visiting this branch, but i've liked their food in other branches (MOA, Megamall) before. it's been some time since i've last visited Super Bowl though. there have been a lot of changes: the prices went up while the serving sizes went down. they don't serve the free kropek anymore during the wait times. today we've ordered hakaw, beef brisket noodles, sweet & sour fish fillet. the hakaw was pretty chewy and felt a bit overcooked. same goes for the noodles, since they seem to have opted for thinner noodles, it becomes really mushy. it's also pretty oily. the beef itself is fine and still melt-in-your-mouth, but a big chunk of it is fatty instead of meaty. the fish fillet was just okay, but not offensive. very small serving though. strangely enough, i asked if we could just not get the drinks (lemonade, pretty sweet) with the set meals and just change to water. but either the server said that they could only serve lemonade and no water?? when we came earlier, the restaurant wasn't even half-full, so i was also surprised that the manager didn't make rounds to get the feedback form (which they provide at the start of the meal). lastly, we were seated near the kitchen so we could see that some of the people handling food weren't wearing gloves or masks or hair nets.. and they were talking in front of the food as they're plating it/preparing to serve, so... yikes.

Located inside Robinsons Place Manila beside Yabu. They serve Chinese food. My favorite is the Congee and Beef Noodle Soup. Came here with a PWD with wheelchair and they are very accommodating. We went here around lunch time and waited for around 10 mins to get seated. I paid using credit card.

We dined in today & I was totally surprised at the flavor I found here. The broccoli was very fresh & the steak was so tender, I probably didn’t even have to chew it. The rice was extremely well prepared. The servers (Alex) are super friendly and came to check on us several times! I strongly recommend if your in or near the Robinsons Mall in Malate.

A nostalgic go-to spot since my college days! Super Bowl of China serves generous portions at affordable prices—perfect for satisfying Chinese food cravings. We usually opt for takeout since it’s often packed. The Robinsons Manila branch is clean, has a PWD-friendly entrance, and offers seats while waiting. Their attendants are professional and responsive, making the experience smooth even during busy hours. Special mention to their lemon chicken and eggplant with minced pork—still just as comforting as I remember.

Different management i suppose. I ordered lechon macau super meal and had it for take out. This was my go to meal , because the meat and serving is adequate and the food is always served fresh. Sadly and very disappointed by yesterday's take out. The meat they gave for the lechon macau that i ordered has seen better days It has a very strong meat smell already. Upon opening the package, the colors of the meat you know has already been reheated more than once, it was brownish already, to make matters worse, the skin and meat were not crunchy and gamey or chewy anymore. It was bad i threw it away. I wish i took a foto beforehand. While it's not rancid or anything, it's still not fresh and not good for a meal anymore. Management inside the kitchen, please treat your take out clients with the same service as you treat your dine in clients, we are also paying for the same amount. Just because we dont see them first hand doesn't mean you could cut corners. How will you expect us to go back and order the same thing again? .

Ling Nam San Juan, located in Greenhills Shopping Center, Metro Manila, has been reengineered under new management with a focus on delivery and takeout due to its small size. The space can accommodate 8 to 10 persons and offers free hot tea for dine-in customers. The menu features noodle soups, steam pork buns, congee, and local Filipino beverages like coconut juice and tofu drinks. Despite its small size, it's described as charming and tranquil.
More of a delivery and take out branch because of its small location. Same Ling Nam we've always known decades back. Order the usual noodle soups and the steam pork buns if you are in a hurry. The pork bun is PHP 75 each with size shown in photo below. Space can accommodate around 8 to 10 persons. Hot tea served for free for dinein customers. The porridge... Taste is ok, texture is ordinary as they use ordinary rice, not the sticky type.

Went to their greenhills mall branch for snack, ordered plain noodles and siomai. It should be a quick snack since they are easily prepared, it took 20 minutes for the plain noodles, noodles is too rubbery. Siomai, took another 15 minutes. Avoid this place, waste of time and money. This is not the old school ling nam. Dont get scammed.

Bola and kidney congee is classic, as is the beef and wonton noodles? The best? Maybe not. Sometimes I prefer north park, sometimes emperor, sometimes tra vinh or pho hoa, but some of the time, ling nam hits the spot.

This was more of a nostalgic visit. Ling Nam was one of the most popular wonton noodle places back in the 80s. Sadly, the quality just isn't that good anymore and the price is high for what it serves. Guess that's what happens when it is sold to a big corporation.

I absolutely adore this charming little spot. It's small, cosy, and tranquil - the perfect place to unwind with a refreshing drink. They offer an impressive selection of local Filipino beverages like refreshing coconut juice and delicious tofu drinks. But the real standout of this shop is their incredible congee and noodles. If you're a first-time visitor, I highly recommend trying their Beef Wanton Noodles and Siomai. The beef soup is packed with flavor, the noodles are cooked to perfection, and the beef is melt-in-your-mouth tender. The only downside is that their portions are quite small for the price (around 200 pesos) they charge. Given that they're pricier than their competition (Charlie's Wanton), they really should consider serving larger portions. All things considered, this place is definitely worth a visit.

The use of ground rice creates a thick soup with fine grain bits. Additionally, the restaurant offers perfectly cooked noodles with a satisfying chew and well-seasoned broth.
I have been going here since I was 5, and the flavor and quality is still the same, including the staff. My nephew already enjoys the food here, which is the third generation already. One of our family’s comfort food places.

Nice and tasty noodles. We ordered "wanton beef" its good and beef is tender
Asim A — Google review
Chose to eat here on the basis of the good reviews. Maybe our expectations were raised, but we just didn’t get the rave reviews. The place was almost deserted, bar one family. The menu was very restrictive and the noodles were very average. The service wasn’t that great and the staff not that friendly. Cheap food, but would rather pay more and eat somewhere better.
Greg T — Google review
An established long-standing restaurant in the area, me and my family have been going here since I was a child, the quality and consistency of their products remains very high, from noodles to desserts to rice meals, all of it in very big portions, great value for your money.

This place has been around for a long time. The food is hearty and comforting. The prices are reasonable. The service is warm. That’s why I keep coming back.
J. C — Google review
I love that you can choose between hofan rice noodles or egg noodles. The prices are also very affordable. They did not scrimp on ingredients. Service is also very good and the staff very approachable. They have a free parking too. The bola-bola siopao may be a bit small but they are two pieces per serving. My husband and I enjoyed our meals.
Vance M — Google review
The noodles are cooked perfectly — still firm and has the perfect chew. The broth is nicely seasoned, and the beef pieces are really tender, the filling of the wonton is too firm and dry for me (maybe because there wasn't a lot of fat in the filling). The same goes with their pork siomai, it was too firm and dry to me, but it tasted really nice! Street parking is available.
Marc J — Google review
this was my lola's favorite wonton place, and it did not disappoint. here are some of the food we tried: 🍜 spare ribs wonton noodles - 9/10. ang laki ng servings! the soup was flavorful, and the meat was tender :) 🥟 asado siopao - 10/10. delicious siopao! it's medium-sized, pero napaka filling. would go here again! ang bait rin ng staff. 💫

Family restaurant
Pat-Pat's Kansi is a humble eatery in Ilo-Ilo that offers a delightful bowl of Kansi, the local version of bulalo. This dish features beef shank soup made sour with batwan fruit. You can savor their Kansi Bulalo to relish the marrow or opt for the meaty Kansi Laman. It's like a fusion of bulalo and sinigang, soured by batwan instead of sampalok.
This restaurant is already an institution here at San Antonio Village in Makati. Located along Sampaloc St, it has moved from its original location which the owners, Taboy and Richie Servando, rented to the bigger and better location next door which they now own. The restaurant is named after their daughter Patricia who also manages the original Pat-Pat's Kansi in their hometown of Iloilo. Food - 5*, can't go wrong with their Kansi. I normally order the laman version but this time I went for the Bulalo boneless with bone marrow integrated to the flavorful broth. Kansi is like Sinigang but instead of Sampalok or Kamias, Negrenses or people from Iloilo use batwan as the souring agent resulting to a different taste profile altogether introducing a little sweet and fruity taste. Their Inasals are also top-notch and we tried both Pecho and Paa cuts. We also had well-done Atay and Balun-balunan which was not rubbery and a delight to pair with the suka, Toyo, and sili sauce. Service - 5*, servers are always attentive and aim to please. Atmosphere - 4*, predominantly white, clean looking, larger than before and fully air-conditioned Parking - 3*, good for at most 3 vehicles, street parking is not allowed
Chito M — Google review
I find their food overpriced, especially given how underwhelming their "specialties" taste. Service is disappointing, the staff seem more interested in chatting with each other than attending to customers. For the same price, you’ll find far better food, service, and ambience elsewhere.
Etel M — Google review
We loved it here! The milk fish, bone marrow, everything was so delicious and authentic. I love their vinegar sauce too. Our marrow surprisingly didn't have much inside but they made sure we got some marrow after we showed them. Super sweet of them, good service and nice and clean space - Can't wait to be back.
Lala B — Google review
Went for bulalo, also had Kansi Laman & Petcho. Atmosphere was so-so bcuz it's so noisy. Sounds echo throughout, there's no sound dampening. As more people come in, the worse it becomes (place is very popular), you cannot even hear yourself talk. Food was uninspiring - we asked for medium bulalo, but were told only large was available (!?!?!). So got the large and were told it would have been enough for 4 people....no not really. It was a large end of tibia, but the amount of marrow was quite minimal. Only enough meat and tendon for maybe 2 moderately hungry people. Soup was rich and tasty, altho somewhat salty. The Kansi Laman was a small bowl of same broth with a few small pieces of meat and fat, definitely NOT worth the money or effort. Since they had no Isol (Manok), we got Petcho - another waste, dry, pre-cooked. Good crunch on skin and taste was okay, but shudda waited and ordered it later to get fleshly Grilled one. I also ordered medium bulalo for take home and it was available AND bigger than the large we had for dine-in!
Ishka B — Google review
The kansi’s bone was way too big and barely had any meat. The soup tasted decent though. We were 2 people so we still got hungry and ordered the sizzling kansi. It was slightly better than the kansi, but again not a lot of meat. They do offer some parking in front of the restaurant but limited. The restaurant is just simple, no aircon. I saw they do have chicken inasal, interested to try it next time.
John V — Google review
Patpat’s Kansi never disappoints. The kansi is full of flavor, comfort, and that perfect balance of sweet and savory. Tastes just like home!
Nadine H — Google review
We came here on a Friday night. Understandably, the place was busy—but the moment we sat down, the server was already hovering and asking us to order, not even five minutes in. I know the menu’s short, but still, give people a chance to look through it. We got the large kansi, which they say is good for two people. Honestly, it barely fed two of us. It was just for one. The amount of meat was disappointing. If you’ve seen the other reviews complaining about the small portions—they’re not exaggerating. As for the taste, it was fine. Nothing bad, just nothing special. The meat wasn’t particularly tender or flavorful. For the price, definitely not worth it. This branch, at least, has gone downhill. Not sure how the other ones are doing, but if it’s the same kind of service and the same stingy servings, then you’re not missing anything.
Lizzie K — Google review
If you are looking for some Filipino comfort food then this is the place. They always serve their signature Kansi dish hot which is so soothing after a stressful day. By the way, they already moved just beside their old location. The place is smaller but is clean and has air conditioning. Parking however is still limited.

GoodAh!!! is a standout option for affordable food delivery, offering classic Filipino dishes at budget-friendly prices. This 25-hour restaurant presents an array of beloved Pinoy favorites, from breakfast essentials to hearty lunch selections, all priced under P150. The ambiance is described as modern and tidy, making it a welcoming spot for families looking to enjoy late-night meals like goto.
Original is always the best! Our all time favorite go-to place for Goto! Good line-up of delicious varieties of goto and other pinoy comfort foods. Friendly and attentive service. With ample parking space. Branches are always easy to find. Rain or shine, Goodah will always be the place to go!
Michael S — Google review
Goodah has a branch in Granada St. and is open 24 hours. They have tapamix, which contains 2 cups of fried rice, two sunny-side eggs, and beef tapa. I ordered their coffee-based drink with coffee jelly on top. They have a slope parking area inside if you can't park in the front. Their Filipino comfort food is good so far. However, they don't give an invoice for the foods I ordered. They have funny messages that you will notice in the signage in the chairs, in the toilet, and the menu.
Leandro B — Google review
The space and parking was great. Food, not so much. We ordered: 1. tapsilog - not special 2. tapsi bacon silog - again not so special 3. sizzling sisig - it arrived at the table not sizzling and the egg was aleeady fully cooked. So, i think you should remove the "sizzling" in the name 4. Tokwa't baboy - this was good 5. batangas.lomi - this was also good Thale staff was friendly though.
Lesley C — Google review
Super hungry at 130am we decided to eat at GoodAh. Industrial designed resto and clean. Take note-CLEAN. It smells good once you enter (no foul odored oil), smells fresh. Food was ok. Liempo may have been a bit thicker. Opportunity for the restaurant is their payment option as there was no GCash (they said they exceeded for the month) and they have no other payment options as they do not have card payments as well. So had to look for ATM in the middle of the night to withdraw cash.
Japs N — Google review
Goodah is a popular chain of Filipino fast-food restaurants known for its 24/7 operation and a menu that features classic Filipino comfort food. The dishes are reasonably priced, making it a go-to spot for quick and satisfying meals. Their best-sellers include silog meals, lugaw, and other traditional fares like adobo and sinigang. The ambiance is casual and unpretentious, perfect for late-night cravings or a quick bite any time of the day. While not a place for fine dining, Goodah offers a reliable and tasty option for those seeking authentic Filipino flavors.
Dennis L — Google review
Probably one of the worst goodah branch i've been to, the service here is slow that you have to call their attention, servers tend to stay at the back of the kitchen more often than staying at the dinning area to serve customers, food isn't the same at other locations
Louis L — Google review
This was supposed to be posted 7 months ago (June, 2021) but got buried along with other things in life. Anyway, better late than never. So here goes. Went here on a lazy weekday around 9am. There's one customer there already eating beside myself. I ordered their Tocilog and asked if it could a soup on the side. A nice lady took my order. After 10 or so minutes my order came with no soup and hence I asked again and I wished I didn't. The soup is really just water + Knorr beef cubes and was laden with onions (I think they were trying to hide that fact) and was horrible. As for the meal, it is just mediocre. Aling Banang's Tocilog meal was way better including the free bulalo soup and also way cheaper. Though unlike the roach infested Aling Banang's place, GoodAh is a lot of steps up the posh ladder. I mean, look at that interior! It makes most shops of Aling Banang's looking like shanties. Not to mention GoodAh's meals are served on a plate. AB's are served on a styro box sans the atsara which I wish AB's had some on the side. I can look past over the missed soup which the lady forgot. But still, not enough reason to go back for the food alone. Being a foodie, my taste bud still craves for the combination of mildly sweet tocino and salty fatty beefy soup of AB. GoodAh's not that memorable unfortunately.

Nestled within the bustling Manila Ocean Park Mall, North Park Noodles - G. Araneta Branch is a delightful culinary gem that showcases the rich flavors of Chinese cuisine. This beloved restaurant chain, which originated in Chinatown, Binondo during the 1990s, has grown to include multiple locations across Metro Manila. Diners can indulge in an extensive menu filled with mouthwatering options such as dim sum, flavorful noodles, hearty hot pots, and savory fried rice dishes.
Just like with other North Park Branches, really liked their soup-based meals or noodles/soups. The Lemoned Chicken tastes great, as well as the Pork being tender and delicious. Place is clean and the service is good, food was served to us not that long around 5-10 mins.

We dined for late lunch on a rainy Tuesday. The server immediately gave our table house tea. The interior is warm and accomoadating. The bathroom is also cleanly maintained. Here is the list or our order:Honey Lemonade, Asado Siopao, Siomai, Chicken Feet, Fried Bread, Yang Chow Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Pork. Food was excellent and fresh. We also ordered North Park Special Noodles for takeout. I do recommend this restaurant for fast and causal Chinese dining experience.
Raul L — Google review
The food we ordered were all pretty mid. The portions were good other than the shrimp, I don’t think the price was worth the dish. Pineapple fried rice and soy milk was probably the best thing we ordered. Didn’t try the noodles or congee so maybe my rating will change. It’s an okay late night place to go to since there aren’t that many options. The parking was free and they close pretty late (1am) when we went.
Ethan Y — Google review
One of the better Northpark branches, for both food and service. Everything was quick to arrive, generous with the chili oil, ample serving sizes. Double pork rib was dryer than I remember so docking 1 star for that.
Sy C — Google review
1 hour and only soup, pot sticker, and sago came out They prioritize GRAB delivery orders instead of dine in customers Black and white gulaman w/ sago came with 10% shaved ice the rest is water Instead of almost all shaved ice Soup is luke warm The chili sauce did not come with serving spoon, so possibility it has already been contaminated by previous customers
Bakit K — Google review
The food is great. The staff are nice and they have wide parking space. What more could you ask for.
Edmund M — Google review
The food here is absolutely delicious and delightful. We always go here with my family to celebrate different occasions. The service is nice but little bet slow. I suggest to improve it more. The ambiance ok for me but I think it needs to be maintenance or redesign the restaurant.

Delicious noodle soup and rice dishes. Not much English spoken. Cash, credit card and probably e-wallet payments accepted. Indoors, and their AC works great! Very tasty noodle soups. Nothing exotic, but good, satisfying comfort food. Prawn dumplings are stuffed full of tender prawn meat. Noodles have a pleasant firmness - not soft and soggy. Soy sauce and chili oil on the table and the chili oil packs a respectable punch. Juices, tea, water, sodas to drink. Secured parking lot.

The food is highly recommended, with dishes like abalone with two vegetables standing out. The staff are approachable and attentive, providing excellent service. Customers praise the delicious food and commend the friendly and accommodating staff. The ambiance is great, making for an unforgettable dining experience.
I had an amazing dining experience here. 🥰 Their roasted duck is absolutely outstanding tender, parang sa Hk lasa, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The siomai is the best I’ve ever had juicy, tasty, and always served hot. The dynamite is a must-try, with just the right amount of spice and crunch. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic and delicious Chinese cuisine!

A Mixed Bag at King Chef's New Makati Branch King Chef has always been a go-to spot for many, so I was excited to check out their new branch in Makati. While it's a smaller space compared to their Lucky Chinatown location, it has a cozy and welcoming vibe. The ambiance is one of its strong suits; it looks good and has some nice personal touches that make the dining experience more intimate. For our meal, we started with the Seafood Congee. It was decent, but it lacked a certain "wow" factor. A major letdown was the inclusion of imitation crab sticks, which felt out of place and detracted from the dish's potential. The chicken feet, a specialty, were seasoned well and hit the spot. Next, we tried the Seafood Bundle. Unfortunately, it had a similar issue as the congee—the fake crab sticks were back. Worse, the squid was tough and chewy. It felt old, and I imagine anyone, especially seniors, would have a difficult time eating it. The highlight of the meal was definitely the dessert: a beautiful heart-shaped mango jelly. I loved the presentation; it was a sweet, thoughtful touch that symbolized the love I share with my family. Overall, my experience at King Chef's new Makati branch was just okay. The ambiance and dessert were lovely, but the food itself was a bit inconsistent. If you're looking for a good deal, keep an eye out for their promotions during off-hours, usually from 2 PM to 5 PM and near closing time.

First time in this branch as we always eat in their Lucky Chinatown. This restau did not disappoint as the same quality of food was serve even on this branch. Joseph and the other staffs are really accomodating just like in their Lucky Chinatown branch. This just means that King Chef is consistent with their food and top notch service.

Celebrated a birthday celebration in one of their private rooms (26 pax). It was clean, well-lit, and the temperature was just right. Food was great! Their scallop fried rice is a must try! Service is a 10 out of 10. They really catered to our needs and assisted us in what to order. The waiters were also engaging and made sure we were comfortable. Very friendly! 🥡🥢🌟
Nadine L — Google review
As someone who grew up in Canada, I've had a lot of underwhelming dim sum in the Philippines. The cheaper spots really don't put much care into the food; things aren't cooked to order, siu mai made with disgusting filler, chalky skin on the dumplings, etc. King Chef easily serves the best dim sum in Manila. Everything was served hot and steaming, you can tell it's all made to order. We ordered 7 dishes, all of them were really good. Hakaw skin had a nice chew to it. Chicken feet were cooked just right, and not falling apart. My favourite was the Sichuan crispy noodle prawn dumplings, which had a slight mala flavour. We had our meal during Happy Hour, and the meal came to 1000p for 2 people. Sulit! Glad I found a place that is passionate about what they serve, would definitely return.

💕 Date for Two: Goto Fiesta, Classic Lugaw 💌 Total: P190 Overall: Who goes home right away after a good night drinking session? None! And Lugaw Manila is right there when we needed it the most. Having a good bowl of Lugaw is all we ever want after a Friday night booze date. Upon checking their menu, we were torn if we are to order their Goto X Crispy Bagnet (P95) or Goto X Chicharon Bulaklak (P95), or maybe one for each of us then we can just share so we can taste both? We got this better idea – why not order their Goto Fiesta (P145), it already has Bagnet, Chicharon Bulaklak, Egg and Tofu, and order their Classic Lugaw (P45). Not a bad choice! We got to share more toppings for just almost the same price. Value for money: Worth it! #DateForTwo at Lugaw Manila
