January 2025: It's our first time to try this place. The food was indeed tasty, but I found the serving sizes a bit on the smaller side compared to similar places. I tried the Yang Chow fried rice topped with Pork Chop; while it had great potential, it leaned a bit too salty for my taste. Overall, it's a spot worth visiting, just with a note on portion sizes!

Something different about this place, I have dined at both their OG Outlet in Hong Kong as well as their first overseas ventures in Singapore. Somehow the food they serve here taste different. Saltier than what I had previously. Not sure if it was because they wanted to tweak the profile to suit the local crowd here? Beyond that slight difference, everything was generally ok. Worth mentioning was that their BBQ Pork Rice Rolls had more substantial chunks of BBQ Pork as compared to their other places

First time eating at Tim Ho Wan, because my friend said it is going to be acquired by Jollibee. I am not really a good food critic but I just wanted to share my thoughts as a person who rarely eats at these kinds of restaurants. We ordered different food options, but I haven't tried them all so I'll just rate those I tasted. Baked Bun Pork BBQ - this is just wonderful, I have no words to explain how magnificent this bun is, the texture and the taste was perfect. Easily 5/5. Rice & Beef w/ Fried Egg - it feels like just a regular dish, but it tastes different because of the special sauce they put in my dish. Not really my taste, 3/5. Glutinous Rice w/ Lotus Leaf - this is the first time I saw a sticky rice served as like a main dish, and it has meat inside it. The taste is good, because it both has sweetness from the sticky rice and savory flavor from the meat. Probably 4/5. Pork Dumpling w/ Shrimp - i don't know if I can describe this one correctly but, it feels just like a regular dumpling. Tastes regular 3/5. The service is alright, the staff can accommodate but it takes a little while for it. There is no service charge, and the atmosphere is just right.

The food at this branch just didn’t seem as fresh as in other branches, especially their siomai, hakaw and pork chop fried rice. The service was fine. The restaurant itself felt cramped and if you are on a table for two there is not much space for food. Maybe they just had an off day with the food but outlet branches seem better.

Tim Ho Wan Glorietta 2 is my go-to spot for authentic, high-quality dim sum in Makati. The food is consistently excellent—from their famous Baked Buns with BBQ Pork, which are perfectly crisp on the outside and savory-sweet inside, to their Steamed Prawn Dumplings (Har Gow) and Pork Dumplings with Shrimp (Siu Mai), which are fresh, flavorful, and generously filled. This used to be a great place with a long queue of customers. We went to their Glorieta branch and sad to say we did not have a good experience. Service took a while. The store was not busy that time. Our ordered food took a while. Im only able to take photo of the chicken wings but we also got the chowfan rice, pork buns, and a few of the common dimsums

We did a Binondo Food Crawl today and our last stop was Dong Bei. I love their dumplings!!! I can compare it to the dumplings of some Michelin restaurant and it will not disappoint. Though we’ve just tried theor best seller boiled kuchay with pork dumpling. Because there’s no available xiao long bao yet. We love that it is also near the house of Bingo on our favorite tv series “can’t buy me love”

I honestly get the hype! So we got 14 pieces of the kuchay dumplings. We got it freshly made and looked for a spot for us to eat it. Afterwards, we returned the container for them to dispose it properly. The line seems intimidating but as long as they had stock in hand it was pretty fast to get dumplings. You would finish it really quickly so try to gauge how much your group would eat but it is so good I wont blame you for ordering a lot.

A few minutes walk away from our previous destination, we headed towards the direction of Dong Bei Dumplings—a takeout place that went viral on TikTok for its amazing dumplings placed in an unassuming styrofoam container. I wouldn't comment on the place, as we are not meant to eat inside, but I can applaud the staff members for their swift service and paying great attention to their dumplings. Unfortunately, the other food on the menu wasn't available at the time. 🥟 After waiting for a while in a line, it was finally our turn, and we ordered the fourteen pieces of dumplings that had an affordable price of 200 pesos. We ate at a place nearby, and when we took our first bite into it, it nearly burned our tongues due to how hot it was. Despite that, it was wonderfully juicy and filled to the brim with meat and vegetables that had a slight kick balanced with both saltiness and savoriness. It was quite filling, and we would return for more if we weren't full at the time. 🔥

This is a hidden gem in Binondo. It's quite small, but the food makes up to it. If you want to taste authentic Northern Chinese dumplings without leaving Manila, this place is a must-visit. You can see how the dumplings are being wrapped, and you may order uncooked ones to take home. Since the area is quite small, you may have to wait during meal times, so be prepared. Also, it's not conducive for large group. Just take-out, if that's the case. Update: After the pandemic, they became a take-out only store. Nonetheless, their dumplings are still delicious and freshly-made.

Kuchay dumplings by Dong Bei A beloved snack in places like Binondo, Manila—especially famed at spots like Dong Bei in Chinatown. Tried the kuchay dumplings today and honestly, they didn’t live up to the usual standard. The filling lacked flavor, wrappers were fine, but the overall taste just felt flat. For something that’s usually packed with bold garlic-chive goodness, this batch missed the mark. Do yourself a favor and just make it at home to your liking.

we went there by 3pm.. they dont accomodate dine in customer , only pick up . only one food from their menu is available.. out of curiosity we still try whatever is available.. food is okay but i think pricey.. but not sure maybe because of how they prepare food

If not for the soy sauce and chili sauce, their dumplings wouldn’t have any flavor. It was expensive for such dull dim sum.

The food was just typical, Siomai taste like it was made a week ago and didn’t taste good. Japanese Siomai was made fresh though. We liked the deep fried wanton as endorsed in Tiktok so it’s a must try. My friend did not like the Hakaw too as it taste like flour. The place needs improvement in lighting and cleanliness. If you wipe the tables with tissue, you will see the dirt even if they already wiped it with their cleaning cloth. Staffs are nice though and happy to assist. Expect that you will need to queue in order to be seated for around 20 mins specially on peak hours.

We loved the siomai. It is packed and value for money. The Beef & Wanton Soup is just okay. The Asado/White Chicken Rice is also okay if the chicken parts are different and meatier. I might try the other dishes in the menu to get another feel.

Every time I am here, I get this glorious gem known as fish fillet rice. Unfortunately, they ran out when I got here this time. Time to try their famous siomai. EDIT: Their fish fillet rice isn’t as good as it used to be. The sauce still tastes good, but the fish tastes like it’s of lower quality.

Food at Wai Ying is always great — flavorful, comforting, and consistent every time. Their dim sum, beef mami, and roasted dishes never disappoint, which explains why there’s always a long queue no matter what time you go. However, the staff can be a bit less hospitable at times, and the ambiance isn’t the best — the bright blue walls kind of take away from the cozy feel. Still, if you’re there purely for the food, it’s absolutely worth it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ — amazing food, just not for the ambiance or the service. come for the taste, stay for the dim sum. 🥢✨

First time here! I ordered the Lemon Chicken, inspired by watching Kowloon Generic Romance these past months — the food in that anime made me crave Chinese dishes so badly. But sadly, I was disappointed with Wai Ying’s Lemon Chicken. It didn’t live up to my expectations at all. On the upside, the Beef Wanton Mami was decent, and I’d recommend their Siomai with shrimp — definitely the highlight of the meal. Overall, I personally find Wai Ying a bit overrated. If you ask me, Ying Ying has always been better in terms of wait time, service, food selection, and taste.

we tried to google must visit restaurant in Donbini and this restaurant came up. We came at around 6.30 pm and waited for 15 minutes. the noodle type is small, but the soup could be improved. the steam pork was very tender and juicy. the siomay was good but not that special the duck mami is average because the duck is tough.

Very bad experience. Food was cold! Food should be serve automatically hot. Service was almost fair, prices for the food was expensive so the sevice for us should be. But it was not.. If you are planning for a date at binondo and you are from a province, things should be planned and do not expect to receive the same experince from the others reviewing it with 5 stars. I do hope that you guys would not experience the service we had.

We enjoyed our lunch here today because of the delicious food, but our experience was made even more special with the excellent service by Zyra. She really was a cut above the rest when it comes to service. I also wanr to thank Lugang for making my dad’s bday special by giving a complimentary dessert. We’re so happy we chose Lugang to have my dad’a birthday lunch.

What we love about this experience is how attentive the servers are. Crystal and Darell are very accommodating and they were able to attend our needs. Food prices are on mid-range. Food taste is much better than Shi Lin but not as great as Din Tai Fung (especially the Xiao Long Bao). Overall, it was a great experience.

Zyra our receptionist assigned was great on giving us suggestions on what food can we order, given the size of our family. My kids loved it. They even gave me a birthday surprise dessert. Kids loved Xiao long bao!

If you’re looking for Xiao Long Bao, this is the place! Texture, broth, taste—solid 5 stars. Even the Chocolate Xiao Long Bao is a must-try. The Salt and Pepper Squid is delicious—crispy, flavorful, and a definitely one of our favorites. I could easily finish the Pork Chop with Fried Rice on my own. The pork is tender and perfectly seasoned—not overly salty, but definitely not bland like what you’d get in some Chinese restaurants. The fried rice is another highlight—tasty and not greasy, which makes it stand out. The Salted Egg Shrimp is also worth ordering. Fresh, and cooked just right. Service is quick, the staff are friendly, and they even offer appetizers so you can munch on something while waiting. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to again and again!

Waitlist was fast so its okay, it was a memorable mothers day lunch, first time to dine… Servers were very attentive, well equipped and accommodating. They have different functions, like order taker, some are for the appetisers, main dish and for the drinks… restaurant was full but they are very attentive to your needs… (very impressive), food were served hot, and of course excellent taste… for the bill you have to pay at the counter near the entrance exit door.. Will definitely come back soon!

Not the best quality. I ordered xiao long bao, dry minced pork noodles, and green beans. The bao was not very flavorful and didn’t have enough meat. Pork noodles were tasty. Green beans were not good- it’s not snappy crispy like it should be. Overall, quality was very low and unlike Taiwan standards. Prices are def cheaper here compared to other countries. But you can also see it reflect in the quality of ingredients and taste.

The first time I experienced Din Tai Fung was when my partner and I were in Bangkok. It's nice that the best Xiao Long Bao is also in the Philippines. The food was great! We love it! Very satisfied, foods are great. The best hakaw i tried,, the shrimp is so juicy and tender. We ordered xiao long bao, and shrimp dumpling also. Been craving the hakaw now but its far from where i live.

“Hindi na masarap”  commented one of my friends. When I invited my friends over to Binondo, they eagerly drove all the way from Acacia, Taguig because they knew that Shi Lin was a good place to eat and celebrate. It was a mixed celebration of belated wedding, advanced birthday and despedida BUT it wasn’t the memory we wanted to have. We came on a weekday past 1:00PM but there were still several diners coming. Poor service 1. I can’t remember anyone greeting the guests “good afternoon, welcome to Shi Lin” or isn’t this standard in this branch? 2. Service crews were unsmiling. I even gently told one server : “Kuya, smile naman” but he still didn’t smile. 3. We had to repeatedly ask for table napkins til my friend just got up and went to get for us. 4. The manager was busy with reports. I get it it’s the end of the month report time but couldn’t she wait an hour or 2 longer to help out with the branch? Food wasn’t as good 1. Steamed fish with soy was quite salty. 2. The bun of the pork, sausage bun was too thick. 3. Some dumplings had a thicker “wrap” while others were just right or was it intentioned this way depending on the filling inside? I felt I was chewing more of the steamed dough that the dumpling itself. 4. Not all dishes had serving spoons. REDEEMING POINTS: All food was served hot and almost simultaneously. No long wait or long intervals. The Dimsum Tower was worth the price P799+taxes=P870.00. There were 4 varieties with 6 pieces each: xiao long bao, mushroom & veggies dumplings, shrimp & pork dumplings, shrimp & pork bao. It makes a good presentation. Too bad the server couldn’t smile ATMOSPHERE : Aircon wasn’t working properly. It was warm despite the 2 cooling fans I just dined in their Circuit Ayala branch last month and service was superb on a Saturday evening with the restaurant filled with diners.

I really liked the bok choy — it had a light, comforting flavor, which I personally enjoyed. It’s milder compared to the usual Chinese/Taiwanese dishes, so my family didn’t like it as much as I did. The portions were smaller than expected based on the menu photos, but the staff were very kind and accommodating, even though we arrived about 30 minutes before closing.

Pros: Their xialongbao is delicious and affordable. Service is also good. Cons: Other food available is quite bland to my taste. Needs adjustments from condiments. Lighting in the area is a bit dim also.

Tried Modern Shanghai recently and was pleasantly surprised by how superb the food was. The Xiaolongbao and Hakao were absolutely delicious fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The Hot and Sour Soup could’ve used a bit more tang, but it was still satisfying overall. The standouts of the meal were definitely the Sweet and Sour Fish and the Fried Rice, both packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The Hunan style Beef had great potential too, though it was a bit on the salty side. If not for that, it could’ve easily been another highlight. Overall, a great dining experience. Will definitely be coming back for more!

Loved our dining experience at Modern Shang Greenbelt 5 mainly because of Kai's excellent customer service. She really took care of us and very attentive to my senior parents. Food is okay, but chicken feet and deep fried chicken can still be improved.

We were a total of 4 people, who came by for an early dinner. It was our first ever visit and we honestly enjoyed the food. It all came out hot and relatively quickly (perhaps because the place wasn't full yet). The service staff were also quite helpful which made our overall dining experience pleasant. Their pricing is reasonable and fair too.

A Mixed Bag at King Chef's New Makati Branch King Chef has always been a go-to spot for many, so I was excited to check out their new branch in Makati. While it's a smaller space compared to their Lucky Chinatown location, it has a cozy and welcoming vibe. The ambiance is one of its strong suits; it looks good and has some nice personal touches that make the dining experience more intimate. For our meal, we started with the Seafood Congee. It was decent, but it lacked a certain "wow" factor. A major letdown was the inclusion of imitation crab sticks, which felt out of place and detracted from the dish's potential. The chicken feet, a specialty, were seasoned well and hit the spot. Next, we tried the Seafood Bundle. Unfortunately, it had a similar issue as the congee—the fake crab sticks were back. Worse, the squid was tough and chewy. It felt old, and I imagine anyone, especially seniors, would have a difficult time eating it. The highlight of the meal was definitely the dessert: a beautiful heart-shaped mango jelly. I loved the presentation; it was a sweet, thoughtful touch that symbolized the love I share with my family. Overall, my experience at King Chef's new Makati branch was just okay. The ambiance and dessert were lovely, but the food itself was a bit inconsistent. If you're looking for a good deal, keep an eye out for their promotions during off-hours, usually from 2 PM to 5 PM and near closing time.

First time in this branch as we always eat in their Lucky Chinatown. This restau did not disappoint as the same quality of food was serve even on this branch. Joseph and the other staffs are really accomodating just like in their Lucky Chinatown branch. This just means that King Chef is consistent with their food and top notch service.

Celebrated a birthday celebration in one of their private rooms (26 pax). It was clean, well-lit, and the temperature was just right. Food was great! Their scallop fried rice is a must try! Service is a 10 out of 10. They really catered to our needs and assisted us in what to order. The waiters were also engaging and made sure we were comfortable. Very friendly! 🥡🥢🌟

As someone who grew up in Canada, I've had a lot of underwhelming dim sum in the Philippines. The cheaper spots really don't put much care into the food; things aren't cooked to order, siu mai made with disgusting filler, chalky skin on the dumplings, etc. King Chef easily serves the best dim sum in Manila. Everything was served hot and steaming, you can tell it's all made to order. We ordered 7 dishes, all of them were really good. Hakaw skin had a nice chew to it. Chicken feet were cooked just right, and not falling apart. My favourite was the Sichuan crispy noodle prawn dumplings, which had a slight mala flavour. We had our meal during Happy Hour, and the meal came to 1000p for 2 people. Sulit! Glad I found a place that is passionate about what they serve, would definitely return.

If you want a quick dimsum fix on a weekend, King Chef in Makati is convenient and serves good value, tasty dimsum! Thank you to Joseph our server who was very attentive and accomodating.

King Chef has always been our go to restaurant. So glad they opened a branch here in Alphaland Suites Makati. Sarap as always! The staff are so nice too! Sunday is a good time visit especially during promo hours (2-5 pm).

I'd recommend Samba for the classy vibes. We chose to dine inside their dining room but their outdoor seating areas sit adjacent to the Shangri La hotel pool which is beautifully lit at night, with the area nestled amongst the clean skyrisers in the area. Food-wise we found to stretch the wallet quite a bit, and even opting for the less extravagant fare, the lomo saltado dish was a tiny portion; 4 small and quick bites of steak considering the 1175 PHP tag. The parihuela sopa was very nice though, with excellent seafood portions, including a tasty octopus leg and large mussel, clams, and prawn. It was a tad too salty but not to a serious fault. Staff were very professional, positive, and helpful. Lovely presentation of meal. Would recommend for a date or small group looking for a quieter but trendy atmosphere compared to Forbes town noise 5 minutes walk from Shangri La's hotel entrance.

Located on the 8th floor of a nice hotel. It’s very clean and elegant inside. Outside has nice designs but warm. Most of the dish was creamy, they provide a hot sauce which helps balance flavors. - Trio Ceviche 2.1/5 I thought it lacked brightness ceviches usually have. It was okay. Each one tasted kind of the same. - Yucas Crocantes Con Huaca 3.5/5 Fried yucca balls, creamy inside crunchy outside. - Conchas A La Parmesana 1.2/5 Super buttery small scallops, not worth. - Arroz Con Mariscos 4.1/5 A LOT of rice, some seafood. It’s very carb heavy. Taste is good. - Pollo A La Braza 3.2/5 Grilled chicken thighs were slightly juicy but seemed a tad overcooked. - Anticucho De Pulpo 2.6/5 The octopus legs were slightly chewy, not tender. Tasted okay. - Lomo Saltado 1.8/5 Overcooked pieces of beef (well done). The flavoring is bold. - Barramundi 3.2/5 Tender piece of fish, creamy quinoa. - Chocolate cake 5/5 The cake is so decadent and the ice cream that looks like corn paired well together. - Tres Leches 3.8/5 Moist tres leches cake. - Merangado De Guanabana 1.8/5 It was pulpy and tangy, thought it was just okay. Cool experience. You get to drop the chocolate. Free validation for parking in building.

The service and ambiance were impeccable. The best dish was the arroz con mariscos (seafood rice). It was rich in flavor and generous with the seafood. The chicharrones de calamar and de cangrejo (battered and fried squid rings and softshell crab) were good, but pretty standard. The anticucho de corazón (beef heart skewer) was also good. The meat was tender. The duck breast salad was good and came in a generous portion. We got the tuna ceviche, but perhaps the safer choice was to go for classic limeño. I missed the leche de tigre and choclo (large Peruvian corn kernels). I was hoping to find seco de res a la norteña (braised beef stew) and arroz con pato (duck confit with cilantro rice), but they weren't on the menu this time. I look forward to returning to try those when offered.

The two ceviches we got were equally good, can’t choose between the two. The limeño was citrusy, while the crema de coco was creamy. Aside from the ceviche, my personal favorite was the pulpo! It was a perfectly cooked flavor bomb. Not tough at all, flavor was on point. We also enjoyed their best-seller, Arroz Con Mariscos. Well seasoned and quite generous amount of seafood. Meanwhile, the lomo saltado was good, but nothing special. Because we were celebrating a birthday, they gave us tres leches cake for free! Servers were warm and attentive, while the atmosphere is perfect for celebrating special occasions. Would definitely come back!

A Surprising Comeback Worth Talking About! We decided to give this restaurant another shot after a not-so-great experience before one that left us a bit disappointed and hesitant to return. But wow, are we glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the entire vibe felt different. The management clearly took past feedback seriously and went above and beyond to make things right. They were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely made us feel valued as guests. What really sealed the night for us was the outstanding service from Ymann, our waiter. He was attentive without being intrusive, warm yet professional, and made sure every little detail was spot-on. From explaining the dishes with enthusiasm to checking in at just the right moments. Ymann made the entire dining experience feel special and personal. The food? A complete turnaround. Delicious, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. It felt like a totally different place, the potential we saw before finally came to life. This second visit reminded us why it's sometimes worth giving places another chance. Big kudos to the team, especially to Ymann and the management, for turning things around. We'll definitely be coming back and bringing friends with us!

The food here is excellent overall. • Ceviche – Probably one of the best you can find in Manila. Every variation I’ve tried has been delicious. • Meat – Whether it’s beef or lamb, everything is cooked until tender and soft — you can practically cut it with a fork. • Leche – Not quite what I expected. It’s more like a moist cake than the traditional flan, and a bit too sweet for someone who prefers subtle flavors like I do. • Ambiance – The atmosphere indoors and outdoors feels completely different. Inside, it’s air-conditioned and cool but quite dark. If you come here, definitely sit outside — on a breezy, comfortable day, the ambiance is just perfect. However, when it’s hot, even with ceiling fans, it can get pretty warm outside. • Service – As expected from a hotel restaurant, the staff are very polite. However, there seem to be fewer servers than tables, so it’s sometimes hard to catch someone’s attention when you need assistance.

We visited this Peruvian restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and it turned out to be such a memorable experience. The staff were incredibly warm and even celebrated with us, bringing out a beautiful dessert to mark the occasion. The food was unique and flavorful — each dish offered a wonderful taste of Peruvian cuisine. And I must say, their tres leches was hands down one of the best desserts I’ve had in BGC! Soft, rich, and perfectly balanced — a must-try.

Finally got to try DTF! One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a while. Great food, and their Wintermelon Iced Tea was the best! Plus their crispy beef, one of my faves now. Also, our server, Jason’s kindness and attentiveness really stood out. I loved that they also have a bag holder to actually put in your bags and valuables. We will surely be back when we’re in Manila again. Thank you!

Been to Din Tai Fung a couple of times now and it always hits the spot. The xiao long bao are the star—super delicate and packed with soup, just how they should be. Service is quick and organized even when it’s packed, and food comes out hot and fresh. A bit pricier than your usual dumpling spot, but honestly worth it for the quality. And I just tried the chocolate xiao long bao—new favorite, such a fun way to end the meal. Always a solid choice when you’re craving dumplings.

Food is really good! No wonder people line up even for more than an hour to dine in. Queue depends on the day, could be 10mins, 30mins, 1hr or more. Will definitely eat here again specially when celebrating special occassions and events. Has lots of seeting capacity, order can take 10 to 20mins before it is serve. Better to pre order already while waiting in queue. Service is excellent!

Great food and service. It's worth the wait. Went there for dinner on a Sunday. We willingly waited for about 30 minutes but wrote down our orders ahead. As expected, we enjoyed our food while being efficiently served by the staff. We had several dishes although our vegetable was cancelled due to inavailability.

Great food, great service, and great location! All the waiters here are so accomodating and polite. We immediately got a table and sir Gene Paul was so incredibly hands on and pleasant everytime he served us, constantly checking if we had water and asking if there's anything else we need.

Xia long bao, siomai and siopao all taste the same having the same oil soup based. Mango pomelo sago have too much all purpose cream, feint mango, far from chinese restaurant desserts. Salted egg shrimp too oily, didn't drain it well. Overall the taste is different from its origin from Hongkong.

The service was excellent, our servers, Ms. Che and Martin, were very attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. We were really looking forward to trying Cosmic after seeing so many rave reviews and social media posts, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. It was hard to find, and the lack of signage didn’t help. When we arrived, the atmosphere felt cold — the staff were efficient, but not particularly welcoming or friendly. The menus were tattered and in need of replacing, which didn’t set a great tone. As for the food, it was hit or miss. The tocina was the highlight — flavorful and well done — but most of the other dishes were overly greasy and lacked seasoning, even the garlic rice. The sisig was especially tough and disappointingly bland. While we respect their commitment to plant-based fare, the execution just wasn’t there. It’s a shame — Cosmic had been high on our list, but both the service and the food left us underwhelmed.

Great food! Loved everything we ordered! You wouldn't tell at all that the Kare-Kare Bagnet and Bagnet Sisig were vegan; great for those new to vegan dishes. Nice wooden tables and very boho-chic vibe.

This was my first time eating at a vegan restaurant, and I was genuinely impressed. If you were to do a blind taste test, you probably wouldn’t even be able to tell the dishes were vegan—they really nailed the flavors and textures. Everything we tried hit the spot and tasted just like their meat-based counterparts. The atmosphere was alright—not particularly aesthetic if you’re looking to take cute photos, but the food was very well presented. The staff were friendly and attentive; we didn’t even have to ask for water because they kept checking in.

Your best chance as a vegan to try traditional Phillipino foods. It won't disappoint! Edit: thank you Cosmic! I returned again to sample more wares. This is my favorite place to eat in Manila! Excellent vegan food. Mocktails are a little too sweet for me however I'm sure they will adjust if asked. The only downside is that the stools look good but are really uncomfortable.

Cosmic is a vegan restaurant that puts the spotlight on Filipino food. If you’re vegan (I’m vegetarian btw but when in Rome!) and Filipino, or just love Filipino flavors, Cosmic is a must try! It’s one of the best restaurants in Makati and Manila, and one of my personal favorites in the entire world (; The Isaw is smoky, tangy, a little sweet, a little spicy, and perfectly balanced. Then there’s the sisig, my absolute favorite! Traditionally made with pig cheek, Cosmic recreates it with pea protein or tofu, mixed with onions, garlic, citrus, and just a hint of soy and vegan fish sauce. It’s tangy, salty, spicy, and absolutely to die for. If you try one thing, make it the sisig! Another must-try is the mushroom sinigang. A classic tamarind sour soup, filled with bok choy, taro, tomato, and mushrooms. It’s rich yet thin, refreshing yet tangy, and one of the best vegan soups I’ve ever had! The lumpiang and siomai are good, though a little dense, please have the cooks go try vegetarian lumpiang at Firefly City Garden Grand to try and replicate this best vegetarian lumpiang I’ve ever tasted. The service at Cosmic is excellent with friendly awesome staff, and the Makati location is convenient. Overall, Cosmic is an amazing experience and easily one of the top vegan restaurants in the city.

The Vietnamese egg rolls are a favorite and never disappoint. The braised pork knuckles are flavorful and incredibly tender, though they take a long time to be served. The beans with pork and the Taiwanese sausage fried rice are also delicious. At this branch, all the food was served hot, which was great. However, the service could be improved—it was a bit difficult to get the staff’s attention when following up or requesting something.

Availed their Feast All You Can promo, and for me, it's really worth it! The serving time is faster than I expected because the restaurant was full when I dined in here. Their food were great, especially their XLB, wontons in chili oil, & chicken with scallions in ginger oil! Will surely be back for this promo!!!

Fried Rice with Taiwanese Sausage and Egg – The best fried rice in Metro Manila! Absolutely loved it. Pork Xiao Long Bao – Very good, highly recommended. Roasted Duck – I had high expectations for the duck, but it was slightly overcooked. Still enjoyable, but I hope it’s better next time. Chongqing Spicy Chicken – The chicken was good, but if you’ve tried the one from Paradise Dynasty, you might find this version lacking in flavor. Eggplant with Minced Pork (Spicy) – I didn’t enjoy it much because it had salted fish. Those who like salted fish would probably love it, but I wouldn’t order it again. Service and Atmosphere - 5/5

They have unlimited Xiao Long Bao & other dishes from time to time. Their Xiao Long Bao is okay, but they can improve to make the skin thinner that would make it even better. Service is good. Ambiance is also very good. Keep it up.

I availed the unli-dimsum of Lugang Cafe. The dishes that stood out for me are the main dishes which are beef strips with chillies and sweet and sour pork. I also like the light silken tofu with floss and century egg. The rest of the dimsums are soso, i think the 888 plus service charge is not sulit.

Food was mostly cold and dry which greatly affected the taste. Check the menu and picture of the spring rolls, i added a picture of what they actually look like lol… sweet and sour chicken looked like they cooked leftover chicken from a previous dinner, tonight portions of chicken covered in breading.

By the time we visited this restaurant it is starting to get crowded. Best time to visit is by 10:00am on weekdays. Food is simple but perfectly balanced. We ordered Kaylan, King Dao porkchop and the salt and pepper squid which is soft and flavorful.

Upon arriving, it seems intimidating seeing the line but there's a staff member that lists your name, gets your order, and gives you a form. Once there are free seats availble, you just bring the order form to the staff near your seat and wait for your order. All the food we got to try were really good and tasty but unfortunately we over ordered. That was ok cause they would pack it for us before going. We really recommend the cold cuts platter and the beef mami noodles! But honestly whatever you order is a good idea haha. Definitely would recommend and would bring our family and friends there again.

Honestly, I don’t understand the "hype" or maybe I just ordered the wrong items. We tried the Chicken Mushroom, Xiao Long Bao, Pork Congee with Century Egg, and Duck Noodle Soup. It was a weekend when we visited. The place was packed, and there was a queue before we could get in. We waited roughly 30 minutes to be seated, and another 30 minutes before our food was finally served. Food: The pricing was okay, but the food quality was hit or miss. Some dishes were flavorful, while others were underwhelming. Serving size was just right and filling. I'm trying to find something remarkable about their food, but here’s my honest take: Xiao Long Bao: Disappointing. The filling tasted like it was mostly meat extenders. At ₱125 for 4 pieces, I expected quality. Pork Congee with Century Egg: This one was good and filling! The catch, you have to put condiments to make sure it's tasty to your liking. 😭😭😭 Chicken Mushroom: A pleasant surprise — it had the right balance of saltiness and tanginess from the pickled garlic. I liked it. Duck Noodle Soup: Unexpectedly good! My bf enjoyed this dish the most. Service: The staff were diligent but still needs improvement. I appreciafe their effort, especially during peak hours but still, management could be better. Atmosphere: Needs DEEP CLEANING. The floor was oily, and I almost slipped. The place was extremely busy, with a lot of customers waiting for their orders. It felt a bit chaotic inside. (OR BECAUSE IT'S MANILA... IDK 🤷‍♀️) Suggestions: No hate at all—but please do a thorough deep cleaning! A clean environment makes a huge difference in the dining experience. THEY HAVE SUPER CUTE CATS THO!!! Old school decor, fantastic atmosphere, amazing service, horrible food. Was really looking forward to eating here. Went in the morning for yum cha (dim sum). The bao was half cooked (meat was pink and raw), all other dim sum was cold or lukewarm at best. 2 stands of hair in veggie (or at least i hope it was just hair) and a hair in the noodle. We told them about the bao as that was the first thing we tried and they said they'll change it straight away. Then we realised everything else was served tasting like they were leftovers (not saying it was but it tasted like it as it was dry, cooked and rubbery). In hindsight should have went in the afternoon for fresh food, but why serve it if you are not going to serve it fresh? Definitely not returning.

The food is hit or miss. We ordered yang chow rice, beef mami, hakao, xiaolongbao, pepper beef, garlic chicken, and spicy squid. The dimsums are not served hot, xiaolongbao is missing the juice. The pepper beef is the best, its savory and the meat is tender. We came on a weekend so I think it adds up to the reason why the food is served late...we waited for an hour with multiple follow ups on the service crew. Other tables also experienced the same thing, so I think they're a bit understaffed.

Had a great experience dining at Soban Greenbelt! The food was flavorful and well-prepared — from the tender meats to the delicious side dishes. Everything was fresh, and the portions were generous. My first time dining here, and my friends and I had a pleasant experience. The place is clean, including the grills--i do take note of that for korean barbeque places. The food is good, including the ala carte menu if you don't want to grill your own meat. More on the authentic korean food taste but somehow tweaked a bit for Filipino taste buds. Try the kimchie fried rice with beef, chicken or pork (or just veggies if you don't like meat). Ill go back next time to try their samgyup spread. The staff are very attentive and courteous. Even the manager is attentive to our needs while dining.

Their satee hotpot and first time ever their chinese style chicken feet. Thank you for free almond jelly too for dessert!! Some menu are Affordable and some are pricy sad we didnt counted for promo time but the tastes are really worth the price also good thing that you can take home the left overs. Although you order by checking a menu list, the waiter decided to order a dish that wasn't on the menu without telling us the price. After that, we asked the waiter to take the dish off the table because we hadn't ordered it, but he said he couldn't and brought the bill. When we looked at the bill, we found that the dish was more expensive than any dish on the menu, and we had a heated argument with the waiter. Unable to bear it any longer, another waiter apologized to us and we didn't have to pay. We were right not to eat the dish. The waiter was about 175cm tall and in his 60s. Do not order from this unrefined waiter at this restaurant.

This is one of my family’s go to spot for gatherings and also to eat together the food is okay and I love their serving of their dim sum, I would recommend their chicken feet and their shrimp hakaw it’s one of my favorites and they never disappoint. However sometimes their service is slow and the dim sum is served later on but overall a good experience for me

It’s been a while since I last ate here (also because we have our go-to samgyup place in Megamall, but we decided to try this one this time). We arrived at around 6:30 pm, and there wasn’t a long queue, which was nice because there’s usually a line every time we pass by the restaurant. We ordered their Feast BBQ set for two. The food was great, though we were disappointed with the service. We had to ask multiple times including to 2-3 staff members and the manager for items to be served, and we had to follow up to check if our order was complete, as it was our first time ordering the set. (By the way, the rest of the sides were served only after we had already eaten the meat.) This eventually caused us to lose our appetite. In addition, I hope these issues can be addressed so that future diners will enjoy a smoother and more attentive dining experience. At least it was nice to try, but never again. :)

Had a good experience at this restaurant. The food was decent and the service was good. The restaurant itself is probably more suited to groups than solo diners, but I did not feel uncomfortable eating on my own. Most of the menu is made up of barbecue but they do have food for solo diners. I ordered their chicken bibimbap and was satisfied. The restaurant is clean and not cramped. Overall a good place for Korean food. You can pay using Apple Pay.

Relaxing Brunch with Great Food and Warm Service. I had a peaceful brunch at Tim Ho Wan Uptown BGC, and overall, it was a great experience. They served me a warm cup of tea while I waited, which was a thoughtful gesture. The ambiance was quiet and calming, perfect for a slow, relaxing start to the day. The pork buns were absolutely perfect—crispy on the outside, soft and savory inside. I was accidentally served vegetable dumplings instead of shrimp, but the staff quickly and politely replaced them with the correct order, which I appreciated. The food was flavorful, fresh, and fairly priced. Despite the minor hiccup, the attentive service and peaceful atmosphere made it a spot I’d gladly return to. Definitely recommended for dim sum lovers looking for a calm dining experience in BGC!

Food are coming past 15mins after ordering. Other served food are becoming cold while waiting for the orders to be completed. Only JOY is a great server here at Uptown Mall branch. the rest of the service crew are just moving here and there to be "busy". This branch has alot of slacking crew staff. Even the supervisor. Oh Joy also recommended the Salted Egg Fish Skin and it was fab.

Consistent with every Tim Ho Wan restaurant in the region … great dim sum at a good price. Loved the buns and the fried rice. The dumplings were tasty as well. Yum yum yum!

It’s our first time trying Tim Ho Wan and it’s just really disappointing that the customer service in Uptown branch ruined our experience. The food was great, actually. It’s just they have a really bad service: - bringing in the food one-by-one (imagine them taking off the cover and the food gets warm-cold), - missing out our MAIN orders and had to follow up ‘em multiple times, - I asked the guy waiter to prio our missed orders and he just did a thumbs up while he’s walking away, like where’s the respect?, - We asked the same guy waiter for spoon and fork yet totally ignored us multiple times, also, when he’s serving the table beside us. - Lastly, there were discrepancies in the billing and the lady who gave us the bill kept telling me, “I don’t know”. I lost my appetite midway and was really close to calling the manager but I tried to stretch my all because I’m also in the Food Service industry. But not all can give the same understanding to them so I really hope they can improve. It’s sad that the people here made me feel like it’s gonna be my last meal in Tim Ho Wan too.

I’ve eaten here many times since this branch opened. But recently, the service has noticeably declined. Food takes much longer to arrive, and tables are not cleaned promptly after customers leave. It feels like there’s a serious lack of proper training and on-site management. What’s even more frustrating is that many customers are stuck waiting outside in long lines, while several tables inside remain vacant—simply left dirty and unused. This points to poor coordination and inefficient operations. Also, the air conditioning seems inadequate. I found myself sweating while eating, which made the experience uncomfortable. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to both service and customer comfort.

I’ll definitely come back here! Right after finishing my meal, that was the first thing that came to mind. The food is delicious—even their plain congee is flavorful. The place is clean, not crowded, and service is quick. I just noticed one issue: the servers tend to forget to give water. We were already halfway through our meal and still didn’t have any, even though we were seated right next to the serving counter. They seemed more focused on chatting with each other instead.

WORST service ever!!! Overstaff but extremely inefficient. Most of the lady staff are just standing around chatting rather than attending to customers needs. They almost forgot one of the dish we ordered. We had to have it followed up 3 times. By the time it was served, when we’re already done eating. Then when paying for the bill, you have to wait for another 15-20 mins. Since we requested for Sales Invoice, it took the CASHIER another 15-20 mins just to write an INVOICE!!! Despite the good food, their service is the worst we’ve encountered. Might never come back again. Really hope their service will improve by hiring only competent and attentive staff rather than having too much inefficient ones.

Fast and efficient service. Food is mostly goods But please don’t put carrots under the xiao long bao. Skin is also a bit thick but can be excused since it’s not their specialty. Salted fish fried rice is not salty enough but taste good nonetheless. Fried prawn wonton and tofu are good. Beef and broccoli is well cooked. Overall, not bad.

Great restaurant... food was very good. Everybody loved the HK spareribs, and the fried wantons were the best I ever had. Other items we ordered were also good. The rice we ordered Chao fan was dry ( why I only gave 4 stars ) , but everything else is very good. The entire staff was amazing, attentive, and looked happy to be serving us. They also responded fast to any request. They even do repacking of leftovers at a station they pull up to your table. SECOND VISIT Should of been 5 stars Food was Excellent and the service is extraordinary. One of the best restaurants I have been to in the Philippines. We were a party of 6 and each dish was really really good. The shrimp platter you see in the pictures was a promotion that we got for one ( 1 ) peso. Yes you read that right one peso. The reason I rated less than 5 stars was the way they packages the leftovers. Food was placed in a box with a sheet of plastic underneath but nothing on top so by the time we got home most of the sauce was gone and boxes were a mess.

This restaurant serves one of my fave Chinese style noodles, the braised pork was so good and the noodles just the right firmness, sadly the soup was not that hot. Radish pastry is a must order for those who want to try something that is not on your usual dimsum menu. For dessert, I recommend the red bean pancake, crispy and hot but not too sweet. Hopefully next time they will serve the service tea that is hot because the one served to us was room temp already.

Favorite for this meal was the Salted Egg Custard bun ⭐️ I personally like custard buns to begin with🤌🏻💯 The filling was creamy, rich, slightly sweet, and very flowy. The bun itself is just average (maybe because I already ate it when it was cold) — it isn’t chewy, but it isn’t dry. It was yummy overall! 🥢Their xiao long bak was also good. Flavorful broth, soft meat, chewy wrap, and it was the perfect size for one bite. Also ate this slightly cold already, so probably would have even be better if it was still hot. 🥢Fried rice & string beans were just mid 🥢Chicken soup was warm and it had maybe 3 chicken pieces in it. It was flavorful, but there seems to be something missing. The chicken pieces though were a bit pink in the inside still 🥢(not in photo) Dynasty Fried Chicken was also a favorite. It was crunchy, meat was tender, juicy, and had a good portion Also, actually dont know why they’d put a whole tub of alcohol in the middle of the table…amongst the food that you order…

A family favorite. My son loves their cheese xiao long bao and can eat a whole basket. I like their beijing pork with wrapper and my husband likes their spicy wonton dry noodle. The service in this branch is also exceptional.

I came here for dinner and got seated right away. We ordered the Xiao Long Bao, la mian with double boiled chicken, shredded pork in black bean sauce, minced spinach, and rice. The food was really tasty. The Xiao Long Bao was juicy and flavorful, and the la mian broth was comforting. The shredded pork was a bit too salty for my liking. Service felt a little slow and uncoordinated, especially compared to Din Tai Fung, where everything runs like clockwork. Still, it’s a solid spot with good value for the price.

The food could have been tasty if it was served hot. Unfortunately, the vegetable spring roll was crispy on the outside but cold inside, and the soup broth wasn’t hot either. The most irritating part was the disorganized service. They served the soup, vegetable spring roll, and fried rice first, then made us wait 15-20 minutes for the main dish. What’s the point of serving fried rice so early if the dish it’s meant to pair with isn’t ready? We had to follow up three times, yet the main dish was still served last. The serving order was completely off: 1. Vegetable spring roll, soup, and fried rice 2. 5-10 minutes later – Xiao Long Bao 3. Another 5-10 minutes later – Noodles (which were lukewarm) 4. Another 5-10 minutes later – The main dish (after multiple follow-ups!) Why would a restaurant let fried rice sit on the table getting cold while the main dish is far from ready? Service was bad from the moment we arrived. Despite many available tables (none marked as reserved), they kept insisting we sit near the kitchen glass couch. Only after insisting were we allowed to take a nearby corner table for three, even though we were just two people. Now I understand the many negative reviews for this branch—I witnessed it myself. The worst!

Paradise Dynasty never disappoints in delivering in both taste and experience. My family and I had Sunday lunch during the weekend and enjoyed their selection dimsum, noodles, and an array of Szechuan dishes. Personal favorites would be the mapo tofu and the Szechuan style chicken. These two are not too spicy and can be eaten by young ones but the distinct flavor profile really comes through. Of course, their signature xiao long bao cannot be left one. It’s definitely an experience worth having but once you identify your preferred flavor, you can always get ahead and orders those specifically. I’m partial to black truffle and crab roe and would stuff myself with as many as I can.

Have been here on multiple occassions. The food is always amazing. This is definitely one of the best places for xiao long bao and Chinese food. Will always recommend this place to friends and family.

Suzhou always comes to mind when deciding where to dine in San Juan with our Fil-Chi senior parents. They serve a nice selection of simple Asian comfort dishes that are tasty but light on the palate. Having parking spots right out front is also a big plus as it makes the restaurant very senior and PWD friendly.

This is one of the restaurant that I have always been watched YouTube and recommended by some of the bloggers that’s why I deduced to give it a try. Actually as a Chinese Suzhou is not a place that famous of dimsum I don’t know why they named it after Suzhou probably the owner is from Suzhou. The location is good and accessible just along the shaw and turn right a little bit to the way to San Juan the problem is the parking slot only three is available and one of it I think is parked by the owner so two left na lang good thing I used my ebike only. The food tastes ok not really good but the serving is really big if you can eat a lot this is a good choice the environment is just simple but the staff is nice.

Located between Mabini and Araullo St. in Brgy. Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City, though the parking space is limited to 3 vehicles, you feel somewhat eating away from the chaotic crowd. It is a restaurant within the open village. Open in the sense that road is a thoroughfare of passing vehicles. There are trees nearby, especially the Santol tree. Inside the eating area, there are lots of foods to choose from. Though moderately expensive compared to Savory Restaurant, you got the eating worth for Suzhou Fried Rice. A price of P260 for the signature fried rice can feed 2-3 persons. Mushroom Fish Fillet, consists of fish fillet with large shiitake mushroom, green bell pepper, onions, carrots, soaked with starchy soup will make you full already. Even it is expensive, there is no service charge added. Upon sitting on the table, you will be provided with arranged condiments on the wooden rack, ranging from shredded ginger, chili paste, soy sauce and fish sauce. Utensils are ready, ranging from spoon, fork, and chopsticks. Clean and well-organized area. There is a small meeting room for some purpose. Albeit moderately expensive, the food is worth it for one person.

Ate at the moa branch. Not sure if this is related to the manda branch. Ordered the dimsum sampler. For the price, you’re better off with the other dimsum places instead. Xiao long bao had no soup. Wrapper of the siomai and the hakaw sticks to the plate. Kuchay was dry. Seems that other menu items are affordable and servings are good.

Beef Noodle is still one of the best in town. Siomai appearance has been improved, flavor is regular. Service is very good and staffs had been there since decade ago. Kudos

Place opens early for breakfast and closes by 730pm Love the syphon brewed coffee here - comes free with the breakfast specials which lasts till 10am Overall, enjoyed our food experience here during the 2023 Lunar New Year. We spent P2823+ for a group of 5 with enough to take home for 1 person at home. Loved the size of the familia size for the fried rice, the meatballs soup, the camaron rebosado, the fried tofu, and the beef broccoli. The only "no" for me would be the chami special noodles- not enough 'sahog' aside from the noodles itself. Yup - I want to eat here again.

I got the solo-size "Century Egg Congee with Pork Ribs Taosi", with a side of "Poached Tofu in special soy". The Congee is flavorful even without adding anything, and the Taosi is soft and succulent. The quality of the tofu is really good, it's very firm without any aftertaste, a perfect base for the flavorful sauce. Overall I paid ₱300.00 without service charge. They accept credit cards.

Disappointed that despite all the fanfare about how famous their asado is, it wasn't available at all on a Saturday lunchtime. Nevertheless, food was decent. Restaurant was almost empty so service was very quick. Average food but perhaps the asado would have been better.

Excellent service & wonderful breakfast with superb coffee. While in Manila we ate breakfast most days at Lido. It was close to where we were staying, and the staff was super friendly. The mix of Chinese and Filipino foods provided us with a range of options. The fried tofu in vinegar was cooked and seasoned just right. Fried fish with eggs was tasty, especially with the fish sauce. The congee had a good consistency, and with the hot sauce provided on the table, it had a pleasant and mild flavor. Their garlic rice had the right crispy crunch to it and lots of garlic. The coffee was especially good--freshly brewed in glass containers, it was a fine cup without sugar or milk. In addition to the food, each table came with the daily paper free of charge.

This restaurant does not pay attention to their online orders. After an hour and 15 minutes, called to be told "oh we have it now, it will take 45 minutes".

Not your typical Chinese restaurant but don't get me wrong, they still do serve good Chinese food. Normally when you say Chinese restaurant, the idea is you have lunch or dinner there; Lido's specialty is breakfast. They have soft and tasty pandesal, nice enough brewed coffee comparable to your go-to cafe, and rice meals for those people who need rice to start their day. Though I'm saying their specialty is breakfast, they still serve lunch and dinner of course and they have a lot of choices for customers too. Try out their pugon-roasted asado, which is their flagship product, good for any time of the day, with rice or pandesal. They serve it at room temperature and not freshly cooked as they let it cool down after roasting. You can have it heated before serving though but it becomes a bit dry. It's not the usual asado from Chinese restaurants because it's not smothered in sweet asado sauce, instead it's best enjoyed with just a bit of their house sauce. Another dish worth mentioning is their lumpiang shanghai which is one of the better ones I've tasted amongst restaurants.

Our go to place for authentic Hunan cuisine. Place is now under new management. Food is always consistent: great tasting and portions are adequate, good for sharing. Always ask for the dumpling sauce, it goes well with anything you order. Great condiment.

So the mao jia reminds me of nilaga with the spices addendum often thr fact. The spicy fried chicken was the very flavorful but it was chopped with the bones in small tiny pieces (not those with soft teeth like me that can break on biting a tough bit). The yang chow fried is ok. It feels like the Philippinezed the dishes and spiced it down. But not as intense as the other Hunan restaurants north of it. We hope to try more and will edit this and add the other dishes when we can come back.

Food is good but very pricey. Too expensive for a chinese restaurant. Big amount of serving. Authentic chinese taste. They have function rooms for private events. They also close too early around 10pm. Hope they add more dishes to their menu.

This is one of the few restaurants i always go back to when i visit home because of the taste and consistency. We've been eating here for a few years and the taste and quality is still the same. It's truly comfort Chinese food and the spice is so perfect. The family favorite is the spicy fried chicken. Check it out if you like spicy food and Chinese food. Highly recommended!

So far so good. We started with the century egg for appetizers. Now waiting for the fried chicken, their specialty. They also have duck. All spicy. In fact the standard cooking fare is one chili. You can make their food more spicy. Looking forward to the chicken. It just arrived. It's good!

Slow service,had to ask for everything from tissu to forks, and yes few fork n spoon in whole restaurant (take yours from home if u don't know how to eat with chopsticks),not even disposable fork they have, no kungpao chicken available, I went for that, overall little disappointed, previously food was better and staff was better too

Enjoyed the Chicken Soup Pork Xiao Long Bao. Also tried the famous Giant Tang Bao!! Yeah it was good too. Great staff!! Service was fast. Ambiance was ok. Maybe they should improve the dining area's acoustics, voices were echoing the dining area, noise level of other diners was not very pleasing. Overall, food was okay. Though for me, it does not take the 1st place in my own personal list of Best Xiao Long Bao in Manila.

Clearly a factory of pork dishes so if you love miss piggy from the muppets show, this is not the place to be... People eating in this restaurant though were salivating from all the pork siao long bao. I ordered non pork alternatives and I would say that they were OK to my satisfaction. Very affordable place as well but the waiters seemed clueless... They were probably trained in some beer house at some corner street.

Really good Xiao Long Bao. Tried their specialty which is Crab Fat with Pork and the Scallops with Pork. Both were equally good but I personally preferred the Scallops as the soup inside was savory - as opposed to the slightly sweet soup inside in the Crab Fat version. Prices are bordering on expensive, but food was really worth it.

It’s a homey place. Xiao long bao is good! At par with other Taiwanese restaurants

The serving size is too small for a hefty price. The pictures in the menu will deceive you as they look large - large enough to make you think what you ordered is enough. But once it's served, you will be surprised on how small it is. We were even told that per serving is good for 2 or more. But, it's not. I only liked the pork spareribs but the rest, nope. I hope they reassess and I may visit them again.

Nov 2024: First time in this branch. We ordered skewers, chicken laksa and black & white gulaman. The skewers were a bit overcooked. The laksa was not spicy at all and it was watery. This branch is too crowded even on late nights. They were understaffed. I asked for utensils and water 3-4 times but the staff were always out of sight. The place is not clean... I saw a big cockroach inside the restaurant. 😱😱😱

Hit or miss chinese food. Some arrived cold and not fresh tasting. There are better choices around the area for a much cheaper price. Worse is i got food posioning after dining here. Never again sorry

Jun 2025: Can't believe I haven't reviewed this one despite having visited several times. Food is good and there's just too many to itemize. It's pass-through to the Singaporean resto and it all depends on which street you enter from. Parking may be difficult especially during weekends and peak hours. Enjoy!

Saw this in another platform. Will add this to our go tos. Food - We loved the taste of their cereal chicken, it's unique! Loved the sauces too for the sticks. Parking - Street parking only, we went on a Sunday and was able to park to the building in front of them as they only have 5-6 parking slots? So it's recommended to go like on a Sunday afternoon. Service - Hmm not so friendly staff, had to asked twice for black vinegar.

It's alright - a place for basic Chinese dishes. Prices are still affordable and definitely value for the serving sizes. The Laksa is a standout amongst everything else. The restaurant itself isn't really the nicest and cleanest - true to its form. I'd recommend Eat Fresh if you're looking for an easy and tasty Chinese meal.

I had the chance to dine here after a few years and still get excellent experience. Fast service: The staff are well trained to handle surge of people especially during peak hours. There is waiting time but not that long. Craving-satisfying food: They provide street food close enough to the aroma and taste of the ones in Hong Kong. Parking is a little hard during weekends but it's worth the wait. We definitely enjoyed and will surely be back soon.

Food is great! Laksa is truly recommendable. Their Jumbo Siomai is meaty. Order there gulaman (ALL variants are good), it is very refreshing! Taosi Spareribs and Salted Egg Chicken rice are bestsellers, and we are happy that we ordered those! Quality food here in Eat Fresh. Price is just right. We will surely come back.

A fairly hard core authentic Chinese restaurant. Almost no favor to Filipino or Pop-Chinese food style. If you thing Panda Express or Chow King is Chinese, this place will break you. If you are ready for some legit deem homeland Chinese flavor, and spice, go and enjoy. We will go back.

This restaurant is a little under rated. This is the go-to spot when you’re craving authentic Chinese cuisine at a reasonable price. The ambiance is typical of an old Chinese restaurant, but don’t let the appearance fool you—the food is truly authentic. Most of their dishes are spicy. If you’re not a fan of heat, ask the server to adjust the spice level to “mild.” Their standard spice level is much hotter than what’s typical here. However, if you’re up for a challenge, you’re responsible for the consequences. The menu includes photos, so what you see is what you get. Keep in mind that their portions are meant for sharing (2-3 people). *They accept reservations. *Parking is just across the street. *Their restroom is “typical”.

Staff are polite and very accomodating. The food is good. Only few tables were occupied when we got there so the place was not that noisy and I like it.

Authentic chinese flavors. Price is just fair for its serving size. Atmosphere is better in Makati branch than at Newport.

Not for the faint-hearted. Spicy, hot dishes. Delicious! Menu and pricing are similar to other restaurants in Makati serving Szechuan or Hunan spicy cuisine. They all taste the same. So if you are into such cuisine, you can visit the place in Legaspi Village near Greenbelt. I did not encounter any problem with the service. Pricey but servings are generous.

Went here for lunch and ordered hakaw, beef with broccoli and fried spring rolls. The fried spring rolls tasted okay but I find the hakaw too mushy. The dumpling skin breaks apart from the shrimp. The beef with broccoli priced at Php 490 was too slurry which is unfortunately not appetizing for me. Food quality could still be improved. This branch has their own restroom. It was clean enough. Service was okay. Staff were attentive and responsive to our request for chopsticks.

Ive been eating here ever since this place opened. This place is one my favorite chinese restaurants. Went here for dinner on a weekday night, alot of people eating here but I still got a seat. Got service tea while I look at their menu. Order my favorite dish on menu the beef wanton soup and also a new seafood mushroom dimsum balls. After 15-20mins I got my meal. The soup is still delicious, the broth is flavorful and served hot. Its not too oily nor too salty, its just right. The noodles are also good. It has a certain bite to it and it doesnt dissolve into the soup if you leave it in there for too long. The beef is tender and juicy and they are also generous with the servings. And my favorite topping; the wantons. The wontons are delicious and plentiful. The seafood mushroom dimsum balls are alright. A bit bland though. Overall, one my favorite places to eat hands down.

If you're craving for a dimsum then this place is a must try. They also have a dimsum happy hour from 2-5 pm for a cheaper price of their dimsum. Food and service is good. Their staff is happy to give suggestions of the must try foods. Will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and families.

Recently dined at King Chef and it’s a solid 5-star experience for anyone looking for a casual Chinese dining spot. If you're after good servings, great value, and tasty food, King Chef hits the mark. You get what you pay for. My order included pork and century egg congee, beef brisket noodle soup, siomai, hakaw, Taiwan pechay, and half a fried chicken. Each dish was flavorful and satisfying, with portions generous enough to justify the price. The service at King Chef was notable for its speed and efficiency. The staff were attentive and ensured a smooth dining experience without any unnecessary delays. The restaurant's overall presentation was quite presentable. While the cleanliness was just okay, it didn’t detract too much from the overall experience. In conclusion, King Chef is a great choice for those in search of good, straightforward Chinese cuisine at a reasonable price. It’s definitely a place I’d recommend and revisit.

It was a pleasant dining experience. The staff welcomed the guests and were very accommodating. The service was fast and very good. We ordered the Cha Misua (as always) because it was very comforting, but a stir fried noodles came and we immediately informed that it was not what we ordered. It was instantly sorted out and gave us the correct order. We also got the hakaw, kuchay dimsum, and salted egg bomb and they were all sumptuous.

Food was average, not great. Service was average, typically slow and requiring follow-ups. Venue is not too noisy. Air on was cool, dining room and restroom were clean. King Chef in Chinatown Manila had far better food.

I find their food overpriced, especially given how underwhelming their "specialties" taste. Service is disappointing, the staff seem more interested in chatting with each other than attending to customers. For the same price, you’ll find far better food, service, and ambience elsewhere.

We loved it here! The milk fish, bone marrow, everything was so delicious and authentic. I love their vinegar sauce too. Our marrow surprisingly didn't have much inside but they made sure we got some marrow after we showed them. Super sweet of them, good service and nice and clean space - Can't wait to be back.

Went for bulalo, also had Kansi Laman & Petcho. Atmosphere was so-so bcuz it's so noisy. Sounds echo throughout, there's no sound dampening. As more people come in, the worse it becomes (place is very popular), you cannot even hear yourself talk. Food was uninspiring - we asked for medium bulalo, but were told only large was available (!?!?!). So got the large and were told it would have been enough for 4 people....no not really. It was a large end of tibia, but the amount of marrow was quite minimal. Only enough meat and tendon for maybe 2 moderately hungry people. Soup was rich and tasty, altho somewhat salty. The Kansi Laman was a small bowl of same broth with a few small pieces of meat and fat, definitely NOT worth the money or effort. Since they had no Isol (Manok), we got Petcho - another waste, dry, pre-cooked. Good crunch on skin and taste was okay, but shudda waited and ordered it later to get fleshly Grilled one. I also ordered medium bulalo for take home and it was available AND bigger than the large we had for dine-in!

The kansi’s bone was way too big and barely had any meat. The soup tasted decent though. We were 2 people so we still got hungry and ordered the sizzling kansi. It was slightly better than the kansi, but again not a lot of meat. They do offer some parking in front of the restaurant but limited. The restaurant is just simple, no aircon. I saw they do have chicken inasal, interested to try it next time.

Patpat’s Kansi never disappoints. The kansi is full of flavor, comfort, and that perfect balance of sweet and savory. Tastes just like home!

We came here on a Friday night. Understandably, the place was busy—but the moment we sat down, the server was already hovering and asking us to order, not even five minutes in. I know the menu’s short, but still, give people a chance to look through it. We got the large kansi, which they say is good for two people. Honestly, it barely fed two of us. It was just for one. The amount of meat was disappointing. If you’ve seen the other reviews complaining about the small portions—they’re not exaggerating. As for the taste, it was fine. Nothing bad, just nothing special. The meat wasn’t particularly tender or flavorful. For the price, definitely not worth it. This branch, at least, has gone downhill. Not sure how the other ones are doing, but if it’s the same kind of service and the same stingy servings, then you’re not missing anything.

If you are looking for some Filipino comfort food then this is the place. They always serve their signature Kansi dish hot which is so soothing after a stressful day. By the way, they already moved just beside their old location. The place is smaller but is clean and has air conditioning. Parking however is still limited.

We recently tried out Lao Taipei, curious about what their take on Taiwanese comfort food would be like. The place has a cozy vibe, but right off the bat, one thing stood out—the wait. Our orders only started coming out, one by one, after about 20 minutes, which is quite a stretch compared to most restaurants. For the food itself, the Pork Siomai was decent, though nothing groundbreaking. What made it shine was the garlicky soy-based dipping sauce—it really elevated the bite. The Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup was a winner, with tender beef, generous portions, and a subtle hint of sukiyaki flavor that made it comforting and filling. The Fried Squid Rice was also good, though we found it paired even better when dipped in that same siomai sauce. On the flip side, the Dan Dan Dry Noodles didn’t quite hit the mark. We expected peanut butter notes, but it leaned so heavily on that flavor that it ended up overpowering the dish. Another small but noticeable detail was the menu design. The font on both the menu and the order form was tiny—so much so that we had to whip out our phone flashlights just to read it. Overall, Lao Taipei serves some solid dishes, particularly the beef noodle soup, but a few things (like the long serving time and the hard-to-read menu) could be improved. If you’re not in a rush and don’t mind waiting a bit, it’s still worth a visit for a taste of Taiwanese-style comfort food.

My friend found this place, and I would definitely come back. Loved their food! We ordered steamed hakaw, spicy wonton dry noodles that weirdly kinda tasted like Filipino spaghetti but spicy, fried mantou with condensed milk dip, and chilled taho. I haven't been to Taiwan yet, but this makes me want to go.

We visited Lao Taipei after a quick run at Bridgetown, and overall it was a satisfying experience. The location can be a bit tricky since parking is limited, though fortunately there’s a space a few blocks away. The restaurant itself was jam-packed when we arrived, but we only had to wait a few minutes for the staff to clean and set up a table for us. Service was generally good, and we appreciated that the food was served within 15 minutes, which is impressive considering the crowd. The only downside was that some crew members were not very attentive, especially when it was time for us to bill out. As for the food, everything we ordered was worth it. It was just a bit saddening that all the noodle dishes were unavailable that time, so we couldn’t try them. Still, the rest of the menu we got to taste was on point. The Xiao Long Bao was flavorful, juicy, and filling. The Sweet and Sour Pork stood out for its soft and tender meat with a sauce that was perfectly balanced and not overwhelming. The Popcorn Chicken had the right crunch and seasoning, while the Fried Rice was simply to die for—it could easily stand on its own as a main dish. What makes Lao Taipei even better is the affordability of its prices, especially since the servings are large. It’s definitely worth it compared to other Chinese or Taiwanese restaurants that offer the same kind of food at a much higher price. Overall, Lao Taipei is a place worth visiting if you’re craving quality Taiwanese food at reasonable prices. Just be prepared for the crowd, and hopefully next time the noodles will be available.

I used to frequent this place when I was still living around the area. We dined here last August 2025 and it made me sad that the food and service quality changed a lot. It’s not as good as it used to be. We had to follow up on our order several times. Dan dan noodle is too dry. The rest were fine but already served cold. Even billing out took forever. I hope they improve things again.

I have read mixed reviews about this restaurant but fortunate to experience the better end of their service when we dined in for dinner on a Sunday. We only waited for a few minutes to be seated but the food kinda took some time to come out. The food—I love their spicy beef noodles and shrimp fried rice the most! It is spicy but didn’t sting my acidic-ass tummy. Food was definitely great for its price!

Food was really delicious, great value for money! Especially for the beef noodles and xlb, however, the place could get really noisy because it is usually packed during peak hours. The servers are doing their best to serve the food quickly and attend to the needs of the guests at the same time, but they sometimes just have too much to do to attentively check each table’s needs. This place is not very big but very well visited. So you are lucky if you get a free table around lunch time. Therefore the atmosphere might feel a bit crowded. Anyways it's worth waiting for a free table as the food is really tasty and the prices are super fair. Even as a vegan you find lots of delightful options. Come in and enjoy!

The food is as delicious as what I had in Taiwan, but the portion for the chicken chop is like half of it and price is almost double. Everything is fine and I would still suggest to have a Pearl Milk Tea for takeaway if you are bubble tea lover.

They also have great value set like rice meals pricing around 300-400php. For Makati, it is a good mid range food. Resto is near Salcedo Market. Ambiance is a bit dim, while service is very standard. Overall, place can be recommended as one of must try Chinese places in Makati.

I recently dined at Paradise Dynasty Greenbelt 5 and had an exceptional experience. The Steamed Vegetable Dumpling was superb and filled with fresh kuchay. Other dishes, like the Kung Pao Chicken, were good but could have been more generous in its serving. The Yang Chou Fried Rice was flavorful but slightly dry. The ambiance was fantastic - the restaurant was clean, cozy, and had a warm atmosphere. They also offer small function rooms for private gatherings, which is a great bonus. Overall, I'd highly recommend Paradise Dynasty Greenbelt 5 for its delicious food and welcoming environment.

It was really disappointing. The fried chicken at Jollibee and Popeyes is much better, and a lot cheaper.... how could they even put this on their menu?

Went to this place as part of an intended Xio Long Bao food tasting. They were great and ranks in some of my favorite. The restaurant also has fried intestines and chicken skin which will make me come back.

Fat Fook has always been one of my favorite restaurants, and I have visited all of its branches. Unfortunately, this particular branch was by far the most disappointing. I had to return the Xiao Long Bao because it was hard and did not appear to be freshly made. When it was brought back, it seemed as though it had simply been reheated. The hot and sour soup was overly salty, and the chicken chop had an unusual odor. The Taiwanese fried rice was especially underwhelming—it lacked green onions, egg, and seasoning.

Got to try this restaurant with the family on a weekend trip to Ayala Malls by the Bay and it was a feast well worth the trip. The Hot and Sour Soup and Chicken Chops were great plus the dumplings and assorted food items on skewers made a good impression. Try to visit ahead of the lunch hour rush to avoid waiting since the queue can sometimes be long. Overall, food and service were both great so much so that we intend to go back here in the future.

My daughter & I ate at their Galleria branch years ago and was quite satisfied with what we ordered/ate. Unfortunately my experience at this branch is not the same. First, I asked the order taker if the Hotpot Beef Tendon has soup but when it was served, it does not. I think the ruined my appetite that's why the rest of my order seemed unsatisfying. I was so looking forward for hot soup & good meal but left feeling I should have dined elsewhere. I still like their BIG milk tea though.

Their food taste so much better compared to a Michelin star chinese restaurant that I've tried a few months back. There's a lot of food to choose from in the menu, the price is cheaper and the serving is much more generous. We enjoyed the food here and highly recommend the Taiwanese chicken and the fried rice was really delicious as well although it's more on the salty side but still a really good dish. The serving time is around 30 mins for the 3 items that we've ordered but good enough as you can be sure that the food is fresh cooked.

Everything we ordered tasted good. Especially loved the sour soup and century tofu. Salted egg shrimp just had the right salty flavor; best paired with rice.

Bai Nian Tiang Bao is a Shanghainese restaurant that takes me back to Shanghai with its liberal use of cumin and mala spice in its Braised Mutton (₱480). Mala is also called "numbing" spice because it doesn't hit you right away as hot but lingers at the back of your mouth till you feel the heat and a bit of "numbness" or the ability to take in more hot food. I distinctly remember while tasting their lamb, Fridays at the Muslim Market and lamb ribs at DiShuiDong. The mutton was tender and delicious, just watch out for the tiny bones because they could end up as nasty shards if swallowed. Chef Allen Wang has his flavors down pat with the simple dish of Chinese Pechay (₱260) with loads of garlic. Another discovery is their Pork and Chives Dumplings (₱230) with a fantastic savory sauce of soy and black vinegar amped by herbs and spices. The Yang Chow Rice (₱260) is basic but flavorful. The bill reached ₱1,200+ but with our senior discounts was pared to ₱841. Service - 5*, Chinese nationals frequent this restaurant so you know food is legit but their staff take time to explain dishes offered to their clientele. Parking - 5*, appreciate free outdoor parking along Yakal for Makati seniors for the first 2 hours, ₱50 per hour thereafter. Parking at the basements of SM Air and Shang The Rise condos available.

Bai Nian is one of the 2 Chinese restos I frequent in the area (the other one is Mey Lin). The food here is delicious, despite the limited menu. I regularly order their Stir Fried Beef Noodle, Xiao Long Bao, and Cucumber Salad. Prices are reasonable, and serving portions are big.

Bai Nian is a hidden gem in Makati. I was really surprised by the generous portions. I cried tears of joy! Yay! The sticky rice dumplings were very savory! The fried noodles rocked me in my seat! The waiter asked me if I was ok, and I said I was just electrified by the flavor. Oh yea!

Good find in the basement level of Powerplant Mall. Prices are par for the area. Food is not bad - but nothing to write home about either. The Peking Duck could have had crisper skin. Also, they could have sliced it thinner. Taste-wise it was fine. It's just those finer points that could be improved. Service was good. Wait staff were helpful, respectful and quick on their feet. Ambiance is what you'd expect from a restaurant on the basement level.

I find it a bit pricey for the average quality of the food. Furthermore , the service was rather slow given there were a few empty tables. If you're craving for Chinese/Asian fusion food, there are other restaurants within the Powerplant mall to choose from.

Good (but not great) food, bad service, and doubtful sanitation. We had dimsum, duck, and wonton noodle soup which were decent. Too bad it was so hard to order: It felt like the staff were actively trying to avoid eye contact with us, which was weird because the place was nearly empty at the time. To top it off, I almost swallowed a piece of plastic that was inside my wonton. For Chinese food at this price, better just go to Din Tai Fung which is only a floor away. Or you can go to eight treasures a few stores away on the same floor, which is cheaper and about the same quality.

The lechon macau was not crunchy. It was chewy and hard. There was no service tea and I have to pay for it. There were no waiters around, I have to wave my hand to be noticed. Yet there are no customers so it’s not busy. Compared to the greenhills branch, this is totally different in quality and service.

I remember going to WangFu in BGC about 5 years ago and the food wasn't that good, so my experience this time around was a surprise. Their personal set meals were filling and came with vegetables and soup. I would give 5 stars if the vegetables weren't cold. The regular size birthday noodles was enough for 4-5 people, so it's safe to say that they have big servings. One downside is you need to add 20 pesos if you want your drink to be sugar-free.

I never had salted egg chicken before thats why I got curious and tried it out.For me,it was too tasty that it was on "umay" level already.The chicken though was soft and the serving was just right. The vegetable was good as well as soup. The whole place is clean and relaxing.All the staffs were attentive and approachable as well. First branch of HSG is at the al fresco food hub in Montare at Marikina. Get a hook on the freshest grilled scallops. The newest offering of HSG is the grilled chicken salad. Crispy greens and diced cheese complements as a good starter. I tossed it with their version of chimichurri. This sauce works perfectly in everything. Every dish is prepared through grilling. The Kilawin and Pork Binagoongan is cooked on grilled meat and seasoned scrumptiously. The ribs is served with a flavourful sauce. Overall, good menu offering at an affordable cost.
