Mexican restaurant
Restaurant
El Chupacabra, a popular eatery in Poblacion, is known for its street-oriented style and no-frills, hidden-haunt appeal. It gained fame for its Al Pastor tacos and has become a favorite spot among the drinking crowds in the area. The tiny dive offers a variety of street tacos with different fillings like beef, pork, or seafood, making it an ideal place to enjoy as pulutan alongside their great cocktails or as post-drink grub.
Their food was so good! I love their burrito. It satisfied my craving. I ordered the San Diego style (with fries). My boyfriend ordered street tacos which was good as well. I love their iced tea by the way. I loved it so much that i ordered again 😁
Dee A — Google review
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The food is very good and tastes authentic. Everything is full of flavor and freshly made. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are always friendly. Highly recommend this place if you are craving real Mexican food.
Josh — Google review
It was a nice experience. There is a vibe in the place. The meat/food is quality. Freshly cooked off the fire. We've tried better flavored tacos and burria, but we were satisfied and happy we went. They have fan and air-conditioned seating. They have lots of food and drinks offerings that you can choose from. Must try. But not a resto we'll crave to go back to and we also live in a different so we can come conveniently.
Dina M — Google review
Boy, the place is so hot during the day without an AC. I’ve never been to Spain, but this place seems to be going for a traditional Spanish vibe, and honestly, it pulls that off pretty well. The atmosphere has a lot of charm, though the heat kind of kills the mood. The food was just okay for me—nothing special—but the prices were quite reasonable, so I can’t complain too much. There was only one staff member handling the whole dining area, so service was a bit slow.

Authentic tacos. Really good quality tacos served hot. Chill atmosphere perfect for a night out. Will definitely go back to try the other food.

Very interesting place, service is fantastic and ambience is really something else.. check this place. Food is great!

My go to place for a chill out meal withy family.... All my sons are into Mexican food..... They love their quesadillas (cheese and garlic), their Chimichanga Asadas, their beef Burritos..... We are just decided to splurge for the night (Nov 1, 2025). Bill would have been.more if they had Coronas and Smifnroff in stock. Due to no stock my two older boys resorted to coke (hahaha saved a buck there). Wifey and I, just loved their pork barbeque. You gotta try this with their special chilli paste (ask for it or you won't get it, hahaha)... Heads up, make sure you have your cold beer with you before eating dipped barbeque in the chilli paste ..... (Don't say I didn't warn you). Go there, try whatever you want and enjoy yourself...... Don't order the rice, it's too filling and it will spoil the rest of the meal, just stick with the true arriba Mexican food.... Enjoy guys and BTW KUDOS to ALL the STAFF and CHEF of El Chupacabra.

American restaurant
Bar
Cafe
Filling Station Bar And Cafe is a quirky American-themed diner located in Makati's red light district, just a few blocks away from Abraham Manila. The restaurant is adorned with 1950s memorabilia and life-size superhero statues, creating a unique and nostalgic atmosphere. It offers a menu of hearty dishes, including typical diner fare and traditional Filipino meals that are popular among foreign travelers.
Pricey but absolutely worth the visit. The customer service was to notch, the Old timer Burger was easily 10/10 (so were the onion rings and chips/fries), the chocolate sundae was incredible, ice coffee mocha was meh though (was warm?), the seafood cob was one of the best comfort food i had in a while (incredibly tasty and creamy). The staff really does require an extra mention. Polite, efficient, attentive and they also sing and dance! The atmosphere, decor was incredible. Would not hesitate to return.

⚠️HONEST REVIEW⚠️ SKIP IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO READ ✨️ Ambiance 10/10 👏🏻 super nice! love the ambiance, a lot of things to see. ✨️ Food: What we ordered. 7/10 👌🏻Chocolate Milkshake - not too sweet, just the right chocolate-y milky taste 👌🏻Burgers : I forgot on what we ordered, check the images for reference. I think it's the classic and their American Burger. It's meaty and juicy, but it lacks dressing. Nakakumay din pala ang lasa ng meaty burger 😅 Too much fries which is nakakaumay din 😅 It comes with a small amount of coleslaw (hope they can add more LOL) ⭕️Street Parking only. Hirap mag-park saka napapaligiran kasi ng club so medyo busy ang street na to, saka di ko masabi kung safe nga ba 😅 Hope they can find a better location. We're planning to visit the place again to try their other Menus 😁 That's all 😉

I had such a fantastic experience at The Filling Station! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the menu was absolutely superb — every dish was flavorful, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. You can really tell the effort that goes into both the food and the overall dining experience. A very special shoutout to Eka and Christine for their outstanding service. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality truly elevated the experience and made it memorable. If you’re looking for a place with excellent food and top-notch service, The Filling Station is definitely worth a visit. I’ll absolutely be coming back!
Re N — Google review
The decor and vibe is very cool, full on American diner style with a pink caddy on the ceiling and lots of flare and bling around. The food (we had burgers) was absolutely nothing to rave about. Very basic and nothing special about it at all. Service was alright. Overall would recommend for some pictures and a drink or milkshake perhaps but would not come back for food.
Sebastian — Google review
I love the vibe. Their waffles and chicken combo will always fill me up and the quality is just superb. Big portions. You can do sharing ✨️ great place to chill especially at night when all the neon lights are on.. they also have 3 areas where you can hold events up to 70pax.
Nicole ( — Google review
Ambiance is great, good for those IG pics. Food is a bit pricey but is worth it because of the taste and serving size. The servers are accomodating and will make sure you'll enjoy dining there. You might need reservations for weekends/peak hours.
Lawrence I — Google review
Never thought they'd serve good food since their aesthetics is so damn great! But yes, they serve really good food to my taste buds. It's pricey which is kinda expected as they are selling the place's ambiance too. No entrance fee is collected. Just dine and go! Their milkshake cost ₱360 but it has a refill! So I feel it was not bad at all... the refill was generous!
Geodude — Google review
Its your old school diner that is designed to be aesthetically pleasing. Food tastes okay and comes in large portions. We were very full after eating here. The servers are also dressed as your famous American artists such as Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley. Do not come here if you're counting calories but this is the best place to break from a diet. The music, atmosphere, food, and vibe of this place used perfect to create that American diner experience. They accept cash and gcash as payment. They also helped packed all of our leftover food.

Ramen restaurant
Authentic Japanese restaurant
Restaurant
Mendokoro Ramenba Makati is a compact Japanese ramen restaurant known for its slurp-tastic fare and sleek horseshoe-shaped bar. The place is always packed, but the flavorful and generous portions of their creamy and meaty broth make the long lines worth it. Their menu may be short, but you can ask for a secret menu to try out more options like the Super Chashu.
Been looking for an Ichiran like ramen here in PH and well.. it might not tastes like Ichiran but Mendokoro's Shoyu Ramen tastes sooo good! The broth is rich and thick - love it. The ambiance is also nice, its clean and the staff are friendly and knowledgable about their food. Will dine in again. 🫶🏻
The N — Google review
I'm thoroughly impressed with the food at Mendokoro Ramenba Makati - the ramen is absolutely delicious, with a rich and flavorful soup that's perfectly balanced. The noodles are also cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of firmness. The service is speedy and attentive, with our orders arriving promptly. However, the atmosphere is a bit lacking - we were seated at a table near the kitchen, which made the space feel quite cramped. Additionally, the aesthetic design of the restaurant is somewhat minimal, which detracts from the overall ambiance. Despite this, the exceptional food makes it a worthwhile visit.
Chael G — Google review
Shoyo was their best seller but it was okay for me. Miso, however, is so good! Tantanmen was good as well. Gyoza was good with a right amount of crisp. Wish they could sell 8-10pcs especially for a group order. 10-15 min wait.
Nao — Google review
Ten ten ramen was excellent. Service was quick. Place was not exactly elegant but that was expected. I just didn't like the lack of elbow room.
Joel L — Google review
The concept of the restaurant is very cool you basically sit around the kitchen area and you can see the chefs preparing food. The personnel is kind and the ramen is amazing! Seriously it was one of the best bowls of ramen I have ever had. It was a bit on the expensive side but it's worth it. You can even take a box to make the ramen at home. If you like ramen and you are near Makati this is the place to go to.
Andre M — Google review
So much hype behind this, and you know what, I get it. Tried both shio and shoyu. They both had the signature delicious rich broth, but preferred the shoyu because of that added layer of umami. The meat is oh so tender with a nice char. I honestly get the popularity and totally buying into it. Meanwhile, I don't know what's in that gyoza, but it's absolutely delicious. This is now my favourite ramen place in the Philippines.
Ruth G — Google review
It has easily been the best ramen I have eaten so far in all of South east Asia. The taste is perfect and all ingredients are fresh and delightful. It is already my second time here. So highly recommended.
Xian X — Google review
A delicious ramen shop where everyone sits in a circle around the kitchen. It has good flavor but there's nothing spectacular about their base shio ramen. You order at the stand outside by scanning the digital menu. Then you pay inside at the counter before taking a seat. Service is fast and the broth is nice. Watch out because there might be a line sometimes.

Royal Indian Curry House is a popular Indian restaurant with two locations in Manila, one in Poblacion, Makati City and the other at SM By The Bay, Pasay City. It is known for its sulit meals and affordable prices. With an expat population in Makati, the restaurant offers a diverse range of Indian cuisine that attracts locals and tourists alike. Whether you're craving authentic Indian flavors or looking for a budget-friendly dining experience, Royal Indian Curry House is definitely worth a visit.
Been craving something different from the usual and found this gem on Google maps. Didn't disappoint. The location is close to all the hotels. The ambiance is friendly and probably looks romantic at night because of the lights. The food was delectable and the portions are shared by me and my husband. The service is nothing short of amazing. We didn't have to wait too long for our food.
Lupa P — Google review
So far so good but little bit pricey (7 years ago) Updated after 7 years for recently experience: The place is huge and upstairs got more spaces, the ambience it's quite cozy as well There's lot of authentic Indian dishes and masala tea is one of the authentic drinks which is must try with diff spices and ingredients The cheese naan and garlic naan are the best no matter is for snack or main dish but the only problem is the burnt parts, there's a lot especially from the side and the bottom 😕 Tandoori chicken and the chicken korma are not bad to eat with basmati rice , just try any dishes which you never try before for some special experiences Still, the price ain't cheap but portions are good enough for group sharing, overall it's worth and I'll give 5 stars if the naan ain't got many burnt parts 🙂‍↕️

Asian restaurant
Restaurant
Your Local, located on Esteban Street, is a renowned restaurant that skillfully combines Southeast Asian flavors with a Western twist. The cozy New York-style industrial interiors create the perfect setting for a casual yet memorable dining experience. Since its establishment in 2014, Your Local has been serving modern-Asian cuisine at Legazpi Village.
Don’t know why we only tried Your Local now. It’s become our go to for Asian flavors. Service is quick without fail. Loved our meal at the bar watching the whole kitchen crew make our food. On our first time trying, they missed serving rice with one dish, but made up for it on our next visit by giving us complimentary Choco na Gatas. Being remembered by staff made us feel valued. All the best to the team who makes service great every time. Thank you to Chef Anthony and Eugene. 😊
Penny D — Google review
Such a memorable night! The staff were incredibly accommodating — even though only bar tables were available when I contacted for a reservation, they still went out of their way to get us a table. It made the evening feel extra special. They even surprised my girlfriend with a complimentary ice cream for her birthday, which truly made her smile. The food was just as amazing — every bite felt like our taste buds were discovering new flavors together. Warm people, great food, and the perfect atmosphere for a celebration. We’ll definitely be back. 💖
Romano H — Google review
Food was really good! The flavors worked well together, especially their tapa. The serving was generous. Their salted egg hummus was something different, it tasted light and very healthy. The Butterscotch Latte was perfect, too. Place is very ambient and cozy, not too noisy.
Precious F — Google review
My friend took me to this restaurant for dinner tonight, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The meat simply melts in your mouth. We tried their beef lechon toast, lamb pares, and pork kare-curry and they all had exquisite flavors. The ambiance was so peaceful as we were the first customers to dine in for dinner. I would love to try their other food on their menu on my next visit!
Anna — Google review
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with elegant décor and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The service was exceptional — attentive without being intrusive, and every recommendation was spot-on. Big shout out to John! Thank you so much! The food was the real star of the night. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. 💕💕

1st time to visit and eat at this resto. They did not disappoint. I had the tuna tartare and the pork kare-curry with red sangria. Crowd was good and the piped in music nice and not too load. JV was very friendly and accommodating. The chefs Jomina and Joker prepared the food well and to my dining pleasure. Will recommend this place to others to check out and enjoy.
Gilberto C — Google review
Love the twists on foods! Personal fave is the Pork Kare Curry, the combination of Japanese Curry and Kare Kare works so well. The ambiance is nice and cozy and the staff were very attentive and were very nice. We were assisted by Sir JayJay. Restaurant has a rotational menu so will definitively be back to try out their future menus!
Patricia V — Google review
If you ever find yourself torn between all the amazing Asian cuisines around Makati or Manila that is, this is the place. It’s the perfect local spot when you want something delicious, satisfying, and memorable all in one go. The ambience hits just right — dimly-lit, cozy, with soft-pop/ jazz music that makes you want to stay a little longer. The servers are warm and attentive, and the drinks menu caters to every mood — from coffee and non-caffeinated options to non-alcoholic blends and cocktails. Every dish feels like an explosion of flavors from start to finish. My personal favourites from the starters are the Roast Beef Bun and the Beef Lechon Toast 🫦🤤 both ABSOLUTELY unforgettable. For the mains, it honestly depends on your craving: • YL Vegetable Lumpia if you’re vegetarian (it’s so fresh and flavorful!), • Lamb Pares (suuuuper tender!) or Pork Chasyu Inihaw (so juicey ugh) if you’re into hearty, savoury mood, • or the Pork Kare Curry if you’re craving something rich and comforting. What we ordered: Drinks •Hibiscus Flora, Non-alcoholic Lychee Fizz & a Classic Negroni (off menu) Starters •Roast Beef Bun •Beef Lechon Toast •Miso Tuna Tartare Mains •Pork Chasyu Inihaw •Ginger Chicken Scallion •Pork Kare Curry •Lamb Pares Dessert •Yuzumansi Tres Leches •Choco na Gatas The best part? There’s always something new to try!! which makes it the kind of place you’ll want to keep coming back to until you’ve tasted everything on the menu. And don’t even get me started on dessert 🐽— both are musts: the YuzuMansi Tres Leches and the Choco na Gatas. On indulgent days, I’d honestly get both. Yssa took great care of my friends and I during our dinner night and we got to chat with their fun bartender Eugene and lovely Chef Jomina 🫶🏻. Will definitely come back for more!!

Lampara is a popular dining spot in the vibrant Poblacion district, known for its innovative neo-Filipino cuisine and creative cocktails. Despite the challenges brought on by the pandemic, Lampara persevered and even introduced new offerings like Lite by Lampara meal subscriptions and bottled cocktails for at-home enjoyment. Set in a renovated apartment complex, the restaurant offers al fresco dining with both enclosed and open-air sections, making it a top choice for outdoor dining in Manila.

Faves: rice cups, tofu, oxtail, tres leches Sentimental fave is tres leches. Very unique version, pretty plating, decadent, and just the perfect ending to all the savoury meals. Very delightful dishes and worth every cent! Deserves a michelin star 🥰 Best to reserve a table cause the place gets packed by peak dinner time. * i loved the ambiance too - full of cool art pieces!!

Wonderful experience! This is where my partner and I had our first date. We had to recreate it a year after and it still did not disappoint. They seated us on the same seats we first dated last year ago. The food is delicious! They even wrote happy anniversary on our dessert and even asked us for our theme song so they could play it while we were eating. The owner also went and talked to us to make sure everything is okay. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back! 🥰
Kathleen D — Google review
We had a great dining experience at Lampara! For starters, we tried the Dinuckdakan, which had lots of floss and really good flavor. The Croquettas were also delicious — cheesy on the inside and fun to try both on their own and with the honey. My favorite starter was the Chicharon Bulaklak, served perfectly crispy with just the right amount of saltiness and a tasty tamarind condiment on the side. For the mains, the Oxtail was my top pick — rich and flavorful. The Beef Belly was also good, and the Pork was nicely crispy. We got to try all the desserts, and my favorite was the Tres Leches — light, creamy, and perfectly sweet. The Yema Tsokolate and Polvoron were also enjoyable and well made. The servers were very nice and even took the time to explain the parts of our meals, which made the experience more special. The ambiance was warm and cozy, making it a great place to relax and enjoy good food. They recently received their Michelin Bib Gourmand Award, and it’s definitely well-deserved!

Food was lovely, ambiance was good, perfect lighting, not too dark and not bright. The price is just enough, however, I felt kinda sad that the food that caught my attention was not available that night :( Also we could have enjoyed our dinner if we didnt felt rushed because of the waitstaff being too pushy, we understand that this is business, but as a food lover and a slow eater we don’t like being rushed and felt like we don’t have peace of mind coz we’re getting pressured by the waitstaff pushing us.

It's just perfect. Cocktails are also so good. Salpicao is good. Even plain rice is well cooked with pandan.

You might not easily find it and parking will be a challenge but do take grab and spend time looking with a lampara on hand cause it's going to be worth all that time and effort. We tried everything on their menu, not a wide selection but just a perfect range or variety. We actually felt good we tasted everything on the menu. The food quality was consistently excellent and elegant. The rice cups, dinuckdukan and tofu were way up in my scale. If you are big eater you might need to double the order but the price won't be a surprise. Very reasonably priced dishes. Even their margarita did not let me down. They take their cocktails seriously. So if you love a sip of a delicately made cocktail this is a perfect place to dine with dear friends and family. Definitely coming back!

Restaurant
The Aristocrat Restaurant is a beloved dining establishment known for its Filipino-style barbecue chicken and rich history. Since the 1930s, it has been a cherished fine-dining venue in Manila, offering iconic dishes such as adobo flying saucer, lumpiang ubod sariwa, puto at dinuguan, Aristocrat pancit canton, and arroz con caldo with beef tripe. Originally located in Malate, it has expanded to multiple cities nearby.
The restaurant is so cozy. This is what Filipino food is like. So delicious. The smell as soon as you enter the restaurant. Totally amazing. Everyone is so nice and kind. I like the vibe and atmosphere. Also I have not seen any foreigner. So bad you miss great native Filipino cuisine. I really enjoyed the food as German (: I love Filipino cuisine.

Been craving for Aristocrat’s breakfast plates since months ago! Been overseas, and finally now I was able to drop by straight from the airport! Their breakfast plates comes with a brewed coffee or hot chocolate. It was filling and look at those perfectly fried eggs! 😍 However, a bit disappointed because as compared to what i had with them before, the taste has slightly changed now. I like the previous recipe of the longaniza and their beef tapa now is also different from the classic marinated beef tapa in small chunks. They are currently renovating the restaurant. Clean, spacious, and friendly staffs. The restroom is also well-maintained and air conditioned. They also accommodate parties and other celebrations.

Best comfort food. The price is reasonable and the service is fair. There is parking available but with pay. Aircon also functioning well. Order dessert also.

This remains one of the top dining experiences in Metro Manila. While many rave about the BBQ chicken, I find it a bit too sweet. Personally, I believe their honey chicken, mechado, lumpia, and kaldereta are the true stars of the menu.

Still one of the best Filipino restaurants. Boneless BBQ chicken with peanut sauce and fresh lumpia a must try. This branch is still renovating but a good number of dining areas were already finished. Parking is aplenty but can get full easily especially during dinner. Excellent food choices and prompt service

Aristocrat in Malate, the first one in the Country. It has been my favorite many years back and went back to recall some good memories. Same old crowded place. But the quality of the foods, to my personal opinion was just a hard pass. Ordered the all-time favorite BBQ chicken and park, taste was good, but served luke warm. I don't blame them - how can a fast-moving and high volume restaurant serve fresh BBQs?? Of course, they have been pre cooked and warm up a bit when serve. Also had pancit Canton, fresh lumpia, fried spring rolls and halo halo special. Service was good. They opened the back extension when they get busy, but the atmosphere is just like a cheap Chinese restaurant serving your groups. PS I don't like their BBQ chicken anymore as they were over marinated.

A historic spot to eat, with plenty of parking space. Open 24/7. Prices are reasonable for the nostalgia, and the food is your classic Filipino cusine.

Hummus Elijah is a cozy and unassuming spot located in Makati, catering to adventurous food enthusiasts. The menu features the signature dish, Hummus Elijah, a delectable blend of hummus with tahini, adorned with chickpeas, olive oil, herbs, spices, and served with warm pita bread. Additionally, the restaurant offers various versions of this classic dish incorporating ingredients like mushrooms, fava beans, pine nuts or lentils.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The best hummus in the Philippines! Hummus Eliza offers the most delicious hummus I’ve tasted in the country, along with a great variety of authentic Israeli and Middle Eastern dishes. Their menu is diverse and even includes vegan options. Prices are fair, portions are generous, and the service is always warm and professional. I’m a regular customer who comes twice a week — always satisfied and highly recommend !

If you are looking for vegan food this restaurant is the best option in this area. Prices are very reasonable. Very clean place. We had falafel pita. Egg plants and humus were delicious as well

Always nice to have a late dinner at Hummus Elijah. Their food is excellent. Service is fast and the staff are very courteous and attentive, Thank you to Micaela and Andy for giving us a wonderful dining experience.

Staffs were very accommodating. Size of the dishes were quite big. Mostly good for two. Hummus was the best one here. I kinda missed yogurt sauce but tahini and specual chili sauce did well.
William ( — Google review
The pita bread was made fresh. It was soft, warm, and puffy. I could tell they were handmade and not store-bought. The hummus was definitely great and it makes sense to be the highlight of the restaurant. I will definitely come back for the hummus. However, I didn't like the yellow basmati rice and falafel balls. The rice didn't taste fresh - I didn't like the consistency as some of them were sticking to each other. The falafel balls looked great, super crispy on the outside and moist inside, but IMO the taste itself was nothing special - just basic falafel. Great service though. The waiter kept giving me refills of the sauces I finished and cold service water. I also loved the generous serving sizes. Elijah's Combo was too much for me so I had to takeaway some leftovers.
Ella — Google review
I just want to commend Hummus Elijah for serving consistently delicious and satisfying meals. I especially love their Chicken Shawarma with Basmati Rice and Hummus—the flavors are authentic, well-balanced, and absolutely comforting. The rice is always perfectly cooked, the chicken is tender and flavorful, and the hummus is one of the best I’ve had in the city. It’s my go-to spot when I’m craving Middle Eastern food. Keep up the amazing work!

They have got a ton of options on the menu, so it is always hard to choose—but I always start with the hummus and pita, then go for the beef shawarma rice. Both are consistently excellent. The hummus is super smooth and flavorful, and the pita tastes fresh every time. The beef shawarma rice is packed with flavor, and the sauces they give on the side really bring it all together. The wait time is super short, and the staff are always friendly and on point. I love this place and keep coming back.

Japanese restaurant
Tsukiji is a renowned Japanese restaurant located in Metro Manila, known for its top-quality sushi and sashimi. The restaurant takes pride in sourcing ingredients from the famous Tsukiji Market in Tokyo, with fish flown in from Japan at least three times a week. The head chef, Toshiro Okajima, started his career at the Tsukiji Market and now oversees the sushi counter at Tsukiji Restaurant.
Exxxxcellent sushi in Manila! The Wanton Ramen also very good! Look at the tuna, salmon and the tuna maki, very making,! We had a private room based on the fact they were very busy, something we didn't look to get while there.

Japanese food done right. This is probably one of those Japanese restaurants that taste the same as Japan. I can tell from the smell to the set up and all. Food is good! The sukiyaki is really tasty one of my favorite definitely.

Celebrated my birthday here this week and I asked if they can create me a special menu with all my favorites and they gladly obliged. The atmosphere is exactly as you would be in if you were in a Tokyo restaurant. We ordered the blue fin tuna (otoro and chutoro), Uni, yellowtail, and salmon. All prepared by chef Okajima paired with freshly grated Wasabi. Our next course was their special tempura that came with king crab, scallops, prawn, anago, and assorted vegetables. Our fish course was the Gindara Teriyaki that was just so moist and tender but had a nice crisp skin. Decadent and delicious. Our main course was the A5 Ohmi Steak with was a flavor bomb with the grated daikon and garlic. Everything was prepared to the utmost highest level and was just a feast for the eyes to the tongue. The freshest seafood airflown to the preparation of each of the different dishes. Definitely coming back here again. I can see why it's hailed as the BEST japanese restaurant in the Philippines.
Bianca T — Google review
Been eating here forever for many years now. Atmosphere and service are good. Staff are always nice. Food however seems to be inconsistent these days at best. Some dishes like the gindara, soba, chawan mushi, and takana were still good. Their tenderloin steak, dobin mushi, and tempura were pretty bad though. Particularly disappointed with their tempura as it's a staple that's pretty easy to execute well but turned out to have too much flour for the little prawn inside. Sushi was also no longer as good per my companions but i did not try any of them. Consistency is always a concern with restaurants and i'm hoping this was just a temporary dip or anomaly, instead of it being a persistent trend. Will still go with fingers crossed.

Visited in November 2024. Philippines. Makati. As avid fans of Japanese cuisine and fresh seafood, we've found it surprisingly difficult to find a truly exceptional Japanese restaurant in Makati. When we saw photos of Tsukiji featuring vibrant, fresh-looking seafood, we were intrigued and decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself is spacious and welcoming, and we particularly enjoyed the tables by the window. Food: The menu is extensive, showcasing a wide array of Japanese fish and seafood. They even offer bluefin otoro tuna, Japanese scallops, Wagyu beef, and sea urchin roe, all considered high-end delicacies. We sampled several types of nigiri: scallop, yellowtail, and otoro tuna, and each piece was fresh and flavorful. We were particularly impressed by the black cod, which was perfectly cooked and topped with a delicate, slightly sweet sauce that beautifully complemented its natural sweetness. The pickled cucumbers were also a delight, offering a refreshing, crunchy palate cleanser with just the right touch of salt. Service: The service was good, with friendly and attentive staff. The food arrived promptly. The presence of a call button on each table for summoning a waiter was a welcome convenience. In conclusion: Tsukiji is currently our top choice for authentic Japanese cuisine in Makati, offering a diverse menu featuring high-quality ingredients. The ambiance is also fantastic, and we loved our windowside table with a view of the greenery.

Honestly the best japanese restaurant we tried here in Metro Manila. Been here twice and will come back again and again! All food were delicious and fresh. The staff were all friendly and have good recommendations, you can tell that they have a solid experience in the industry. We noticed that most customers who dine-in are known or influential. Despite of not having reservations last time, their team still assisted us until we get a table. Their valet parking is convenient too! I love Tsukiji!!

Alba Restaurante Español, a 67-year-old Spanish establishment, offers an extensive selection of paella dishes. With 15 varieties available, patrons are spoiled for choice. Alongside the classic Paella Valenciana and Paella Negra, Alba also serves unique options such as the Paella de Cangrejos with crabmeat, Paella Verde with green vegetables, and Paella Filipino with sisig and cochinillo.
My fiance and I dined at Alba on a Saturday night as recommended by our foodie friends to be one of the best Spanish restaurants since they were young! We got the croquetas de jamon, white wine sangria and the mango with ham and arugula. Love love love the balance! We also really loved the service -- the staff were really attentive and had a smile on their faces! We will definitely be coming back!

Definitely a 5 Star Spanish restaurant experience. The food was excellent and definitely authentic Spanish. This has always been the restaurant we’ve been going to whenever we’re celebrating something special. Been coming here for years and it only gets better as it ages. Shout out to Sir Jeff and the other waiters for their amazing service. Overall a wonderful experience!

RE-VISIT - REVIEW UPDATE Disappointed this time as alcachofas had lots of tough outer skin which should be removed first so you don't need to remove from your mouth and put on the plate. Manager kindly Brought a second plate which was better but still 10 % very tough outers. Probably they get from a jar but should remove this - not good chef skills to serve artichokes that are chewy 🤷🏻‍♂️ they should know this Paella was mediocre. Should have a burnt base - the MOST important and tasty part - it's called the 'socarrat' in Spain. This had none Overall a tasty vegetable paella but too greasy and oily by far - and no essential socarrat, so not a proper paella Service still good, but food not inspiring - afraid as basic cheffing skills are missing. Manager was engaging afterwards and took onboard my comments. Hope they make some improvements 👍🏻 ----------------------------- ORIGINAL VISIT REVIEW Excellent service and nice food (just a little over-salted - chef a regular smoker maybe? That's the usual reason) Nice atmosphere with live band I enjoyed it and would recommend

I've been eating at Alba in Makati for over 40 years. I just arrived from Japan today and had a great lunch there. The menu has changed a little but the gist of the good stuff is available. The house wine is good and try the fabada if nothing else. It is to die for.

Had an amazing time here. It was my first time seeing my family again after being abroad, and we enjoyed the food so much. Alba has amazing paellas, and their tapas are definitely a win. Some of our faves are the gambas, chorizo frito, Paella Negra, and Valenciana. The portions are generous and the taste is top-notch. Not to mention, the place is super clean, and the staff are very attentive and thoughtful. Thank you — we’ll definitely be back soon!

Toyo Eatery is a renowned Filipino restaurant known for its innovative take on traditional Filipino cuisine. Despite the challenges, Toyo Eatery and its sister bakeshop, Panaderya Toyo, have continued to impress with whimsical bilao sets featuring barbecue skewers and signature silog fried rice. Chef Jordy Navarra's creativity has once again captured the attention of food enthusiasts as he prepares to host the Philippine leg of the global food event Gelinaz!
We had an excellent meal at Toyo Eatery. I booked exactly when dinner spots opened up 3 weeks in advance. The 22 dishes over 8 courses came out at an excellent pace and our dinner was over in a little over 2 hours. Most of the dishes were excellent and there were many more hits than misses. For example, the lumpia starter with 18 vegetables was wonderful, the blue crab was great, the mains were a very interesting take on familiar dishes. But, the okra soup was a little lacking. Service was informal but personable. The look of the restaurant was modern and has a lovely open kitchen. However, the music was a little loud at times. I really hope this restaurant gets recognition when the Michelin Guide comes to the Philippines next year. It is definitely on par, if not better than some one-starred restaurants we've tried.
Matthew S — Google review
People have been saying it’s the best tasting menu they’ve tried. Maybe the menu has changed but I was not at all impressed with the food. It felt like they were trying too hard to elevate the food—pushing for something highfalutin and refined, but in the end, it just muddled the actual flavors. The ambition was there, but the execution failed. The okra saluyot soup was slimey (ofc, given that it’s okra) so it didn’t land well as a good dish. The grilled oyster mushrooms over kamias sauce and soy milk pudding’s flavors didn’t marry well, either. The palette cleanser of lemongrass kefir tea just tasted nasty. The main dish of free range chicken was plain, the fried fish scales dish was not my type and the flavor of the rice clashed with the main dish flavors. However, the dish with the fried shallots was good! Just wished they served white rice with it. It would’ve hit the spot. The halabos was my favorite, it was cooked to perfection. Literally the plainest dish but the most well done. Some of desserts were good too, like the leche flan ice cream and tsokolate bonbons with patis filling (although there was too much caramel, came out too sweet). The sorbete with idk, seaweed on top (?) was just weird. The flavor was disjointed and I think they were trying to go for some toasted rice thing but it felt like multiple random ingredients in the cup. Overall, the food wasn’t great. Sad cause I’ve been wanting to eat here for about 4 years now and I finally have, and I’ve been disappointed. Never meet your heroes, they say.
Marie R — Google review
Dining at Toyo Eatery is unlike anything else in Manila — it’s a culinary journey that honors Filipino ingredients while presenting them in ways that feel both familiar and surprising. The tasting menu we enjoyed opened with comforting flavors like Gulay at Sabaw and the briny freshness of Halaan. The progression through courses felt like chapters of a story: playful vegetable combinations such as Saluyot, Okra, Labanos at Pipino and Kabute, Kamatis, Kamias, Mangga, Soy Beans showed just how creative local produce can be. The seafood dishes were true standouts — Mga Kilaw offered brightness and acidity, while Alimasag, Gata, Palapa was rich, complex, and deeply satisfying. Even the more traditional touches, like Silog sa Palayok and chicken with cassia leaf and paminta, carried a thoughtful balance of nostalgia and innovation. Each course came with a careful explanation from the staff, which made the entire meal feel like an exploration of culture as much as cuisine. Desserts were equally memorable: the Leche Flan Ice Cream with Asin Tibuok struck the perfect contrast of creamy and salty, while Cassava at Tsokolate ended the night with a comforting, indulgent note. The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the pacing of the courses gave space to truly savor each dish. Yes, it’s a splurge, but Toyo Eatery more than earns its reputation as one of Asia’s best restaurants. If you’re looking for a world-class dining experience that tells a uniquely Filipino story, this is the place to go!
Christopher K — Google review
Finally made it to Toyo, a place I’ve had on my list for years. What I love most is how unpretentious it is; there’s no need to “elevate” Filipino food here. Instead, they build their own language around it. Every dish feels rooted in the land and the people behind it: the farmers, the producers, the makers. It’s thoughtful, confident, and deeply Filipino in a way that doesn’t have to prove anything. Shoutout to the chefs and our server Tupi/Christopher who was highly knowledgeable about every single dish and ingredient.
Pauline L — Google review
It's undeniable that Toyo's food is good but I want to emphasize the dining experience and service was memorable and familiar. Been to Toyo Eatery twice on both for anniversary celebration dinner and they have been consistent in showcasing Filipino food and ingredients on the menu. And as a casual diner/foodie, you won't be intimidated with their style of fine dining as the staff and chefs wore comfy outfits (even wearing crocs!). The whole vibes was homey and have a similar feeling of how you would when you go to a Filipino fiesta. They play pinoy RNB and often offer you to drink a shot of lambanog!. And as of this writing, Toyo Eatery already received their Michelin Star and wanted to congratulate them for always pushing a Filipino forward approach on food! Mabuhay Barangay Toyo Eatery! P.S. Posting mostly non-food photos as you can almost see them on all reviews and I wanted to highlight the beautiful people of Toyo Eatery
Mark G — Google review
To me, Toyo Eatery is the pinnacle of Filipino food innovation. They just know how to refine the flavors we know and love, without losing that comforting homeyness that makes them recognizably Filipino. We had an amazing meal here--pretty much everything is delicious, with a few being mind-blowing standouts. Our favorites included the halaan in cream sauce with powdered malunggay, hipon 2 ways (halabos and battered), the kilaw 3 ways, the crab in gata with palapa (can't get over how delicious this was), the insanely crispy bisugo and a wildly inventive take on palitaw using purple heirloom rice. Our server Miguel was so pleasant--his service was warm, natural and personal. He not only gave us 3 rounds of lambanog shots, but also an all-access tour of the compound. We ended up chatting about the fine dining scene in the PH, and how Toyo was our clear favorite. That was such a great way to end what was already an incredible night. And oh--they give you a small bottle of that excellent lambanog after you bill out. Nice! Excited to make cocktails with it, as its very smooth--almost like a good vodka, but with that subtle coconut-iness. My only wish? That we could also buy some of their aged suka--that stuff is superb. Almost magical. So yeah, Toyo absolutely deserves their Michelin star. But even if they hadn't gotten one, we would still go back and recommend it to everyone. They're not conforming to global expectations of culinary excellence--instead, they're applying world-class techniques to our rich culinary tapestry and refining the flavors we already love. The result--food that's simultaneously polished, yet comforting. It's a tricky balance to pull off, but they make it look so effortless. I can't wait for my next visit--I'm sure they'll surprise me with their creativity and execution again. :)
Adee L — Google review
Having tried Toyo twice when they had collabs in Singapore, trying it in the Philippines feels like a proper welcome home. We even brought our niece (Yeppeo the Alaskan malamute) with us who enjoyed the biggest welcome. But anyway, about the food. Starters are always my favourite from them, a stream of creativity flowing. Ingredients authentic to their roots, but with a twist. With every dish coming out, an inspiration here, an umami there. Personal favourite is the dish resembling a lumpiang sariwa. This tasted like earth - in the best possible way I swear. Nutty, crunchy, layers of flavour - bomb. Another highlight is the fried prawn. In itself, it's the perfectly seasoned, and to dip it in vinegar pushed it higher. Let's not forget the skewers, tender and charred to perfection. Only thing that didn't work for me is the okra, I get the whole embracing the sliminess intent, but it's just off-putting. By the time the mains arrived, I'll be honest, already slowing down, tummy approaching capacity. But that didn't stop me from enjoying the spread. My favourite is the rice pot, such a humble component, amazing when done right. Went really well with the proteins, especially the fried fish, which was fried to perfection. Dessert proved to be a beast of its own. We had not one, not two, but six plates of desserts! Enjoyed the leche flan topped with asin tibuok, the sweet and salty combination is just perfection when done right. But my favourite is the ube, this haunts me. Somehow they got the right sweetness level with the meringue, the right consistency, the right texture - bottle this up and I will be stocking up! Impeccable service - to both humans and our not-so-little furry dog. She brought her own food but the team has a food bowl ready (complete with Toyo logo). At some point, I stood up, placed my napkin on the chair, someone immediately picked it up, folded it and placed it on the side of my plate - a level of attention you would see in Michelin-starred restaurants. And oh, the complimentary bicho-bicho that they gave for takeaway, delicious! Overall, thoroughly enjoyed our meal there. Such a good representation of modern Filipino cuisines and a wonderful gastronomic journey.

We have heard about Toyo from social media and recently when it was featured in Netflix’s Somebody Feed Phil. I am very thankful to have a chance to try their tasting menu in a recent visit to the Philippines. To the Team: Congratulations on such an impressive menu. It is Filipino dining at its best as it highlights ingredients from across the archipelago and cooking techniques developed in different provinces. As someone who now lives abroad I feel proud of what you have achieved. To Miguel: Our most gracious host. Thank for sharing your knowledge and the stories behind every dish. It got me curious and will look up some of the ingredients you mentioned. Thank you for bearing with our questions like you wear being job interviewed. To the Barangay that night: Thank you for catering to my wife’s dietary requirements and Thank you for allowing us to record our visit with a photo with the team. My 50th Birthday celebration will be one for the books. Until our next visit, Salamat Toyo Eatery!!!

Filipino restaurant
Milky Way Cafe, a long-standing restaurant in Makati established in 1962, offers classic Filipino dishes such as their renowned Milky Way Kare Kare, Baby Crispy Pata, Bistek Tagalog, and Dinuguan at Puto. The establishment provides a nostalgic dining experience with traditional flavors. Originally a dairy bar in the 1950s, it has evolved into a go-to spot for Kapampangan cuisine.
we went there for sunday lunch - we waited an hour to seated in the hallway w/c was real humid. suggest you call to reserve a slot or come in for an early or late lunch. we waited still coz we’re curious as to why this was so recommended to eat at. had an issue w/ the parking guard also for he did not seem to want to assist us when we asked where the valet was. he just starred blankly at us. and when we asked again at a tone that he can hear that someone was speaking to him. he said there was none and even commented that the auto we have was too long. hmmm. already reported to management and we still ate here coz the food was indeed delicious. the inihaw na baboy tho was just tooooo gamey but the rest were stellar.

I’m on a quest for superb dinuguan (Filipino pork blood stew) from food providers that are consistently reliable to buy from. Actually I already found the perfect delicious one — Juliet’s Lechon. However they don’t always have it in the menu and usually it’s just included as a freebie when you order their whole lechon. Anyway back to Milky Way. It ain’t them. Apart from being overpriced (teeny portion for the price), the dinuguan is full of lean, stringy, dryish pork, essentially ruining the dinuguan experience as a comfort food. The timpla is excellent though with the right balance of suka and spices. Maybe they could offer an option of all lamang-loob sans the pork. Or use fattier pork or bagnet or lechong kawali maybe. The puto is also excellent though a bit on the too sweet side for my taste.
Bill Y — Google review
We ordered the dinuguan and it was so good! The halo-halo was great too! We also enjoyed the service. The ambiance could use an upgrade with a little more on the modern side.
Carlos B — Google review
Definitely come here for their halo-halo, as it is some of the best in Manila. They also have amazing local ice cream flavors and great steak with mashed potatoes. However, their sinigang is a little too sour for my taste, and they don't have many vegetarian options. Service is really good and there's a large space for dining.
James — Google review
Dinuguan, lumpiang ubod, maya maya escabeche were all good but pricey for small portions. Finish your meal with their famous halo halo 🎉 Pleasant staff, fast service. One thing I did not like was their NFA rice, it was dry, chewy, jolly-jeep quality.

An old school but still a goodie. If you are looking for real authentic filipino flavor this is the place. Highly recommended specially to balikbayan or tourist. They stayed true to the filipino flavors, no gimik just good filipino food. My fave was the diniguan, been a longtime since I tasted this real flavor. Another fave is the Kare Kare and Krispy Pata.

Definitely a great place to have Halo-Halo and other ice cream desserts, in addition to a full menu of Filipino dishes. The restaurant is located in the second floor of a building housing several restaurants. There are two dining areas that are clean and comfortable. Service was professional; however our server took a long time before he came to take the order. Our order was delivered quickly and the quality excellent. We had the Milky Way Halo Halo, The Ginumis Halo Halo and ice cream. Everyone was happy with their order. In addition, the restaurant sells packaged and jarred items to bring home or give as gifts.

Restaurant
Cartel Coffee Deli, located at Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences in Salcedo Village, Makati, draws inspiration from New York delis and vends. It offers a signature menu featuring high-end ingredients sourced from top suppliers. Beyond coffee, the cafe provides a range of offerings including deli items, pastries, market goods, and more. The cozy ambiance with wood paneling and dim lighting makes it an ideal escape from the bustling city.
Great, chill ambiance and delicious food! Love the vibe of this cafe! It felt like you were in Madrid! Had their mushroom omelette and tapa. It’s a bit pricey but worth it!
Mitch R — Google review
Food: Coming from a Filipino palate, we found the flavors quite subtle. We tried the ₱700 breakfast all-in set, and unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet our expectations. The mushroom soup was bitter and bland, the salad was fresh though, and the arroz a la cubana was just okay. The wagyu burger steak was bland as well. We needed to ask for salt and pepper so our food would have a taste. We had to put A LOOOOT of salt and pepper lol. Even the iced tea remained bland despite adding the sugar syrup. For its price, we were hoping for more flavor. Service: The staff were friendly and approachable, which added to the experience. Service was smooth and accommodating. Ambience: The overall atmosphere was pleasant, but the indoor setup felt more suited for evening dining due to its dim lighting. If you're looking for a bright, refreshing breakfast setting, I’d recommend dining al fresco instead. Additionally, the temperature inside was quite warm, so a bit more air conditioning would make the space more comfortable. Overall: While the service and ambience were good, the food was milder than expected for the price. If you enjoy bold, well-seasoned flavors, you might find it a bit subtle.

After lunch at a nearby restaurant, we walked to this lovely café. Since we were with our furbaby, we had to sit outdoors-which was okay. The weather was a bit cloudy, a bit windy-just perfect to be sipping Caramel Cortado and enjoying Manchego Cheesecake. Our choice was the perfect dessert combination of both sweetness and bitterness.

The atmosphere is quite relaxing and homey. Was looking for a place open early that served a hearty breakfast and found this place. I tried their wagyu sandwich and while it was good, the portion size was waay smaller than I expected for the price they asked (600 pesos). The sauce on the side was refreshing paired with the meat. Was disappointed with the fries though. For the price they’re asking and the fact that they’re a deli, I expected more than the typical refrigerated fries you can buy at the grocery. Tried the Salcedo Swing by Yardstick that seems to be an exclusive item to the area. It was…interesting. Not something I would usually order because I prefer plain drinks. The pistachio syrup they used tasted a bit like something you’d expect from a cocktail instead of coffee. Eventually got used to the aftertaste and it kind of grows on you.

It was one of those rainy afternoons when you just crave something cozy — we were looking for a coffee shop and found ourselves at Cartel Coffee & Deli. I’m glad we did! They offer coffee, food, pastries, and even wine — perfect for any mood. Since I don’t usually drink coffee, I went for a glass of white wine instead, while my friend had his cup of coffee and a slice of their chocolate cake. I didn’t get to take a photo of it (regret that 😅), but I tried the cake — and wow, it was so good! Rich, not overly sweet, and perfect with either coffee or wine Definitely a nice spot to unwind, whether you’re in the mood for caffeine or a little sip of something else.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Makati, Mantra Indian Kitchen & Bar offers a contemporary twist on traditional Indian cuisine that is sure to delight your palate. Since its inception in 2016 by Ranjit Chimni, this modern eatery has become a go-to destination for food enthusiasts seeking an extraordinary dining experience. The menu showcases an array of innovative dishes, such as lamb vindaloo paired with quinoa risotto and chicken tikka masala complemented by mango chutney.
Best ever Indian restaurant with authentic Indian food taste. I would recommend to try this place above all restaurants here in Makati for one time. You would never go to any other place for Indian food. Best Dine in experience and service as well. Make sure to make a reservation before visiting.
Sukhwinder S — Google review
It was one of the best Indian foods I have ever had. Came here to celebrate a birthday, and it did not disappoint. The service was impeccable. The ambiance was just right. The complementary appetizer, however, was too salty for us. Highly recommended.
C J — Google review
My experience was pretty disappointing...but I'd still give 3 stars because the flavors were good. Rogan Josh is my staple order whenever I eat at an Indian restaurant, and it was my first time to experience that: 1) you have to order rice separately.... 2) I was served meat with bones... Apparently, at this restaurant, you have to specifically mention if you want your Rogan josh with bones or not. What a joke.

My parents and I are craving for Indian food and we are happy to find this place around Makati. Staff is really nice and accommodating. Love the menu choices (appreciate the vegan options). We loved everything that we ordered (Cheese Naan, Garlic Naan, Chicken Biryani, Paneer Tika, Lamb Curry and Lassi). Serving is generous. One meal is good for 2-3 persons. Parking is available but may be limited in the street. May be on the pricier side but the quality and service makes it worth it. Highly recommended. Hopefully we'll be back soon if we visit Makati again.

I love the coziness of the restaurant's interior. And the food? Just amazing. This is my boyfriend and I's go-to Indian restaurant in Makati. The best in town.

Probably the best Indian food you will find in the Philippines. We got chicken tikka masala and loved it. It's super flavorful and rich, so we were satisfied splitting one between two people. The restaurant has a nice ambience and gets pretty busy in the evening, so I'd recommend making a reservation, especially if you're coming with a larger group. The only area for improvement is the tables. There's a metal bar underneath that makes sitting really uncomfortable 😅

Very delicious thai food and also a good portion of serving. We tried the black pepper tofu, thai basil pork, papaya salad, and thai quail egg. Took a little bit more time to cook the quail egg so we just take it out as we full already from the other food. Tried also tha thai pandan tea but a little too sweet for me. Overall very nice location and good ambiance.

No frills Thai food but their fried chicken is the best - this is even my fave fried chicken spot in the metro! Food is tasty, priced reasonably and is generous in terms of portion sizes. Got their drinks before and it's just okay for me. Ambience has the "og street vibes" if you know what I mean but it's perfect for Poblacion. I always go here whenever I'm in the area.

The restaurant specializes in serving silog meals composed of viand, egg, and rice, making it perfect for those who need an early morning meal.
We get dine into the VIP since we were 4 at that time and fortunately it was timely we just finished a funrun, thus an airconditioned place is very convenient for us. I'm satisfied with my order spam and egg, while my friend got a little disappointed on her egg benedict sandwhich because instead of beacon they put ham without letting her know. Good thing it's still flavorful and she still ate it. Crews might have told her earlier before ordering the said dish. But overall still good since were full and satified after. Still the classic almusal in town.

I had Tinapa, Tocino, and Bacon at Kanto Freestyle Makati, and everything was excellent. The food was flavorful, well-cooked, and served in generous portions. I especially appreciated how the dishes tasted fresh and authentic, giving that true comfort food experience. Service was fast and accommodating, and the casual atmosphere made the meal even more enjoyable. Definitely a great spot to satisfy cravings any time of the day.

The food was very good and the place was decent enough to accommodate guests. However, what's disappointing is their pricing since our actual bill didn’t match what was stated on their menu. We expected to pay under 500 php but ended up being charged over 100+ php more. It’s frustrating and feels misleading. We hope they update their prices or at least inform customers if there's any changes ahead of time.

I searched for breakfast places near our Hotel in Makati. and Kanto popped up as an option. It has a good rating, so we went to check it out. I would be lying if I said the food here was anything less than delicious. We ordered the waffles with a side of scrambled eggs, a chicken longgeniso bowl, and hash browns covered with basted eggs. The 3 meals along with Coffee and juice came to a little over $10 US. It was really tasty. I might have to eat here again tomorrow before we fly out.

I've been coming here many times over the past year, and I finally decided to write a review. The food is very good (love the tocino, French toast, and crispy corned beef), and the restaurant is conveniently open 24/7 (mostly). However, service is not consistent. Some workers on some days are kind, attentive, and timely; at other times, workers are NOT attentive, and service can be unnecessarily slow, even when there are only a few customers. Furthermore, prices are a bit too high for a number of dishes relative to the quantity of each serving provided, such as the garlic chicken. I will return for the food (especially my favorite dishes) at times, but I'm hoping positive changes will be around the corner. There is DEFINITELY room for improvement.

Located in Poblacion, Makati, Alamat Filipino Cuisine is a popular resto bar that offers a modern take on traditional Filipino dishes. The concept of the restaurant highlights Filipino folk culture with a twist to appeal to the younger crowd. They serve generous portions of delicious food perfect for pairing with their local craft beers and unique cocktails. Visitors can enjoy tasty pulutan (Filipino tapas) and thoughtfully crafted cocktails while immersing themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Poblacion.
Alamat in Poblacion: A Nostalgic Experience Alamat has always held a special place in my heart, being one of my go-to spots for cocktails about a decade ago. Revisiting it felt like stepping back into cherished memories. We were greeted by a smiling staff who promptly seated us outside, which, despite the humidity, was surprisingly cozy. Sitting on the high chairs and looking out at the lively street brought back so many memories of my younger days. The street’s buzz and energy added to the overall charm of the place. The attentive waiter quickly took our orders, and our cocktails arrived in no time. Though I can’t remember the funny names of the drinks, they were beautifully presented and tasted fantastic—perfectly balanced with a hint of sweetness that didn’t overshadow the liquor. The ambiance was spot-on, a unique blend of Spanish and Filipino styles that felt both cool and nostalgic. Overall, a 5/5 experience. I’ll definitely be back, especially to explore their food menu. The amazing staff and the nostalgic vibe make Alamat a place I’ll always treasure.

Indonesian restaurant
Restoran Garuda is a vibrant Indonesian restaurant located in Salcedo Street, Legazpi Village, Makati. The colorful and eye-catching murals and interiors create an inviting atmosphere for diners. The menu features a variety of flavorful savory dishes such as make your own packets and spicy options like beef rendang, all of which are authentic and worth the visit.
I’ve tried Indonesian food in Singapore and Malaysia and spent so much time trying to find the same authentic taste here in the Philippines. I went to different restaurants—some in malls, some small businesses—but it just wasn’t the same. When my colleague asked me to try Restoran Garuda, I was so excited, especially when I saw Indonesians eating here (always a good sign!). 🇮🇩 We ordered nasi goreng and other classic dishes and it brought back the flavors I’ve been looking for. Big servings, fair prices, and really warm service. This is easily the most authentic Indonesian food I’ve had in Makati.
Aira A — Google review
Restoran Garuda Makati is part of a chain that originated in Indonesia but the only branch in the Philippines. With many items to choose, opted for combo or paket which included proteins, sides and steamed rice plus veggie for the day. I had rendang daging with fried tofu combo and partner opted for fried milkfish and veggie fritter. Rendang was spiced correctly and generous, tender beef portion. Bangus was bland but fritter was crunchy. The combo came with sweet ice tea. Busy during peak lunch crowd but still service was quick.

Affordable prices and good flavor. They offer a variety of mee and nasi goreng options with a good packet offer for PHP 280. Their sweet tea is incredibly sweet, which I would avoid, but I really liked their satays. The food is quite filling and comes out quickly, the staff are nice, and they have plenty of staff

There are very few Indonesian restaurants in Manila so it's nice to visit this place in Makati. Great selection of dishes, my favorites are tempeh and urap for the vegetarian options. I wish they have more drinks options though like the ones you get at Jakarta. Reasonably priced with good portions. Very sulit!

We don’t get to see Indonesion cuisine a lot so it’s nice that we have this here in Legazpi village. We ordered the Nasi Goreng with Chicken and the Chicken Satay. The nasi goreng was a bit bland but the chicken satay was great. We’ll come back again for the rendang.
Joshua K — Google review
I’ve been wanting to visit Restoran Garuda for a long time now, and I finally got the chance. Here’s what I ordered: Make Your Own Packet ₱280 - 🌟🌟🌟🌟 I chose Ayam Goreng (fried chicken) for my meat and Perkadel Jagung (corn fritters) for my side. The plating of the meal is cute; I love how the rice is shaped like an upside-down cone, and then the rice is topped with a bit of curry (which has a strong coconut flavor). For me, their Ayam tasted similar to carinderia chicken (it had more Filipino taste than Indonesian). The corn fritters were kinda oily and there was nothing special about it. This dish also comes with Kropek (prawn crackers) and some vegetables. Freshly Squeezed Lemonade ₱80 - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I love that you can taste the sourness from the lemon! Considering the price, this drink is a must as it washes down the greasiness of the meal. p.s. place is spacious but their staff is really short-handed, so the resto gets busy and it would take time to get your bill out.
Celine W — Google review
Garuda is on my top 10 restaurants!!!! The beef rendang, and everything else tastes so authentic UGH 😤 love it
Cassie R — Google review
The beef rendang is good, meat can stll be more tender but the flavors and spiciness are explosive. For the amateurs out there, beware! Nasi Goreng (we got beef and chicken) were okay. The chicken satay was fabulous, smokey flavor to the max. Price is just right, with drinks and extras we paid 900 per pax. Problem is parking. Good thing we went on a Sunday so street parking in Makati was a cinch.

Located in The Social food park in Poblacion, Makati, Crosta Pizzeria is known for its sourdough pizzas with an airy and chewy crust. The menu features creatively named pizzas like the Basic Bitch and Tickle Pickle, as well as a range of vegan options such as the Death by Hummucide and Vegan Shroomed Out.
Now, you’re wondering why they’re all queuing up? I was too… until I decided to park and line up when the lines were just short on a Saturday afternoon. Love the Crosta pizza but did not eat the pork just the one with the beef order. Super super nice and deserving of all praises. Bit pricey… yes … but all worth it.
Joanna G — Google review
July 2025 Local pizzeria that's gaining a lot of attention in the IG / tiktok sphere. Physically a counter style stall in the middle of busy Salcedo Village area. Pizza 🍕 has a light crust bordering sour dough consistency. Flavorful and well thought off ingredients and condiments. No frills eats and has a high price tag. Service is pretty problematic as they have no system to handle queues properly. The counter staff seems to be multitasking with the kitchen which is semi open. The kitchen looks a bit too casual with workers having a lax attitude. Saw one holding a plate of his lunch while walking around the kitchen. None of the staff were wearing face masks. All in all, that was probably why an order of one pizza took almost 45 minutes to be served. Even the security guard seemed to be helping out with the gig delivery drivers' orders. 🤪🤪🤪 The place is very informal much like a counter diner style. No frills just an aquarium like bar stool setup. Don't expect comfortable seating as it is a simple pizza joint. No toilet. Ideal for takeaways and dates only as turnover is fast.

TLDR: Great food, not so great spot. Food: ordered 3 kinds of pizza from their best seller sellections (forgot to take a pic of the last one). 10/10 will definitely eat again. Portions were okay for the price (might be expensive for some considering the serving size was not that big for the price you're paying). Place: The place was too cramped, and was hot. Idk if they even had air conditioning, the last pizza I ordered was for take out and we ended up waiting outside the place because people were showing up making yhe place cramped and hot. Accessibility: there are a lot of parking spaces around the area, but no official parking for crosta. Tips. If you plan on visiting this branch, better to visit at odd hours so you can have a better experience. Know that this is a popular place so expect that some pizzas will be sold out if you visit near closing hours. - visit 3 hrs before closing time to make sure that everything on the menu is available. Also bring a mini fan to avoid getting hot.

My friends and I tried their pizza and had it dine in. Location wise, it is easy to find along leviste street. We went on a Friday late afternoon so people were lined up already tho service was fast especially for takeouts. Lot of staff were working that day so both customer are and counter area seemed crowded. The pizza was great, not sure if they had thin crust option as I came when my friend ordered already. The regular ones had thick crust but since we shared already it was just enough for us 3. Would love to try other flavors soon. Hope they had bigger space tho.

Crosta never disappoints!!! This is honestly the best pizza we’ve ever had. We ordered the Morty and Ella, and the flavors were on another level. The black truffle béchamel adds a deep, earthy aroma, while the mozzarella and stracciatella give it that perfect creamy texture. The roasted pistachios add a nice crunch and it ties everything together beautifully. It’s definitely on the pricey side, but worth every peso for the quality and flavor. The only downside was that we waited for more than an hour for our take-out order, but even with the long wait, the pizza was still amazing. I’d eat this every day if they had a branch in Manila!
Myel V — Google review
Ordered the Truffle and Pepperoni pizzas from Crosta…..wow. Absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, the crust was perfect, and every bite was satisfying. The place itself is small but very hip really nice vibes overall. Yes, it’s on the expensive side, but definitely worth it for the quality. Will be coming back for more!
Archimedes — Google review
We had lunch here and the pizzeria was always jampacked with customers so the order will take 30min to 1 hour with limited seating capacity. The taste of the Peperoni Pizza was like buying Pizza from an ordinary Pizza Shop since it had the same taste and filling on my end. If your looking for a good Pizzeria best to go to Gino’s as the quality for taste and comfort is there. Costa is only the better choice if you want a quick bite and a long wait what makes them different is the presentation of their pizza only
Nuel M — Google review
Pizza is great and the staff were all accommodating despite the stressful environment. Kudos to the security guard outside managing the line and flow of customers really well. The space felt very cramped so I would not feel comfortable dining in. I would feel pressured to eat faster 'cause people are waiting. Good thing they are expanding so hopefully there will be more dine in options. Otherwise, takeout is also an option and the pizza will be great regardless.

Restaurant
Kazunori Japanese Restaurant, also known as Kazu Cafe, is a delightful culinary gem nestled in the vibrant area of Kapitolyo, Makati. This unique establishment combines a cafe, main dining area, and sushi bar within an intriguing car showroom setting. While it may seem unconventional to dine among luxury vehicles, many find that this backdrop adds an unexpected charm to the experience. The menu features exceptional interpretations of classic Japanese dishes crafted with high-quality ingredients.
Been here 4 times and it's a hit every damn time. 100% CONSISTENTLY GOOD They're known for the duck soba, but I highly recommend getting the spicy beef soba. Their sashimi is EXCELLENT. The nigiris are super good as well too. Basically tried everything on the menu and they're all bangers. I love this place.

Kazunori—located on the ground floor of the Mazda Makati Building along Chino Roces Extension—delivers an elevated Japanese dining experience with three distinct concepts: a front café, a main dining room, and an omakase sushi bar led by Chef Saito Takeru. The seafood is flown in directly from Japan, resulting in exceptional freshness and balance in every dish. Signature offerings like the multi-course omakase (15–22 courses) showcase meticulous preparation and a stunning presentation. Our lunch was about ₱7,000 it was the 15‑course sushi menu, and I can describe it as "the freshest tasting sushi"—each bite bursting with flavor and remarkably satisfying. À la carte items equally impress: Uni & Ikura hand rolls, Wagyu truffle soba, katsu curry, and matcha tiramisu consistently top recommendation lists Tatler Asia+15PhilNews+15Tripadvisor+15. Redditors rave that "the pdepth of flavor from Kazunori’s curry is far superior" to others in the city. That said, service reviews are mixed. Some customers report inattentive waitstaff and slow response times, particularly during peak hours; others find it efficient but noted heavy-handed tempura batter or rushed dish delivery. Ambiance strikes a refined yet relaxed note—ideal for solo treats, dates, or celebrations. Make reservations early for omakase seating; walk-ins may only be possible at the café area. Pricing is steep by Makati standards, but for those seeking genuine omakase or elevated Japanese comfort food, Kazunori remains one of the city’s most memorable options. The best sushi dishes in town a must try....it's the best unagi I've ever eaten .....Highly recommended 👍👍👍

Excellent experience, as always 🫶🏻 My favorite is the Negitoro-don (minced tuna over sushi rice) The kampachi and ika sashimi were so fresh and delicious. And the otoro, even seared, tasted excellent and fatty. The staff was respectful and efficient, making sure we had everything we needed for a great dining experience. If you want to try something quite interesting for dessert, I suggest the black sesame ice cream as the flavor is unique compared to the regular flavors. Reservations are highly recommended. Restaurant is located inside the Mazda building, 1st floor - there is parking both in front of the building and inside the building (2nd floor)

Great food! We really enjoyed the unagi temaki and we had to order more of it. The oyakudon was really tasty and had some sort of fluffiness to it. Overall, a really nice place for Japanese food. The service was fast and the staff were friendly too.

I came here for lunch and ordered the Pork Steak lunch set that I had seen on Instagram. It was absolutely delicious. The set also came with a mango panna cotta for dessert, which made it feel like a great value. The restaurant has plenty of seating, so if you visit around 11 AM on a weekday, you should have no trouble finding a table.

Pretty decent sushi place. Extremely overpriced for an ootoro and it's not as fresh. 980php for an aburi ootoro which comes down to 2,500 yen, that's insane! I had a similar order at haneda airport for 1,200-1,600 yen (which is around 600php) and it taste really good! Like heavenly good. I guess I had my hopes too high. Still was decent. Service top notch Atmosphere superb!

We had the omakase and it was such a pleasant experience. Food was top notch and very good value. And if you’re wondering what Kuma Nabe is, you will just have to check the restaurant out! 😁

Modern French restaurant
Metronome, a renowned restaurant, faced challenges with its dine-in operations due to the lack of an outdoor dining area. However, the team behind the acclaimed establishment launched Lazy Oeuf in 2020 to continue serving their loyal patrons with gourmet takeaway offerings. The sister brand offers a delectable array of dishes such as French onion burgers with foie gras, croissant sandwiches, and indulgent desserts.
Visited in March. Philippines - Manila. Makati A delightful French restaurant located in the heart of Makati. The space is bright, beautiful, and perfect for a special dinner. Food: We sampled several dishes from the à la carte menu, focusing on small plates: Every dish we tried was exceptional. We commenced with a petite appetizer, a tartlet filled with foie gras mousse—exquisite, delicate texture inside, harmoniously paired with a crispy tartlet. The flavor of foie gras lingered delightfully as we savored each bite, striking a perfect balance. The scallops were impeccably fried—crispy exterior, tender interior. The pan-fried foie gras was a highlight; luscious, melting in the mouth, tender, fatty, with a subtle sweetness, embodying the essence of this prized delicacy. For the main course, we opted for lobster pasta and artichoke gratin. The pasta was flawlessly cooked—al dente texture, a well-balanced sauce that wasn't heavy but perfectly coated. The lobster was expertly prepared—tender and succulent. The artichoke gratin stole the show—an exceptional, vibrant, and uniquely flavorful dish. Atmosphere: The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant; the only drawback was the excessive noise, causing echoing voices that made it slightly challenging to converse comfortably. Service: The service was commendable, though it may not have reached the standards of fine dining establishments. Nevertheless, we felt well-attended to; the waitstaff was attentive, prompt in clearing dishes, and ensuring drink refills. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant; your dining experience is sure to be satisfying. It's the kind of establishment that leaves you willing to return for another round of such delectable dishes.

Ambience : Cozy and standard Service : Professional, friendly & perfect Dishes : Unique & authentic Prices : Totally worth it First time here and tried their recommended DISCOVER SET MENU and it's really worth (except the desserts are pretty sweet). Had been extra order a steak and it's really juicy and tender. Perfect place for couples or gathering but remember to make reservation and bring your vaccination card. There's also a pretty cute cat lying by the front door. :-)

Very good restaurant, was on my list to come and visit and try out their French style cuisine . tasty starters that we asked to share and we both had the hanger steak with fries and peppercorn sauce. There were a lot of other special options for main course but really felt like having a nice steak and weren’t disappointed. By far the best hanger steak ever had in the Philippines and by far the best fries had in the Philippines. Peppercorn sauce was good and asked for some extra mayonnaise- which I had the impression was freshly made. We also had 2 desserts on the a la carte menu and both dessert were stunning. Drinks wise - loved my sparkling wine, and a decent option for red and white wine. Very nice bar menu with various options for cocktails.

I had the most wonderful lunch at Metronome. We took our friend for her birthday and I am so happy we went for lunch! I love the menu options they provided for lunch. There was a bistro menu where you can choose a la carte dishes, a Main set menu that includes a starter, main and dessert or you can choose from a selected menu of dishes taken from their dinner menu. We opted to order from both. Our table started with the French Onion soup, which was so rich and satisfying a great start to lunch. (I was surprised they still had it on the menu especially with the onion shortage it is hard to find onions in Manila right now!). I absolutely loved the egg small plate/starter, it was so pretty we didn’t want to mix it all together. But it was one of my favorite dishes. 64° egg, cèpes and truffle cream, mushroom, potato purée, spring roll wrappers that were cut and looked like crispy noodles. It sounds like a rich and heavy starter but it was surprisingly light and so wonderful I couldn’t just have one bite. For the main dish our table ordered the Halibut, Spaghettini & Duck. We were very happy with all three. Each was very different my favorite was the Spaghettini and the Halibut - you can tell Chef Miko but her heart and soul into the menu. We ended with the chocolate mousse (I always have to order chocolate mousse at a French restaurant.) and coffee. It was a perfect ending to our lunch. The restaurant interior, vibe and the lunch service was so lovely. Bravo Metronome - I can’t wait to come back for dinner.

Went with their Tasting Menu (pre-order). We were seven in the group and went in for dinner. We all enjoyed the food!! Each dish was unique on its own and is very tasty. The restaurant is true to its roots as a French with a modern twist :) most of my companions favorite is the langoustine croustillant! Do also try their cocktails hehe really very good you wouldnt be disappointed. Will surely be back to have a go with their lunch service and also to try other items they offer ala carte :) It was a fantastic time at Metronome.

Totally amazing inspired 12-course curated dinner at the recent Meyronome 6-Hands Filipinas event by Miko Calo, Margarita Fores, and Johanna Siy. It was so delightful to savor new takes on Ulang RiverPrawns, Ukoy with Italian Shrimps, a super umami Abalone, and 3 Crabs in a dish. Wow. What a memorable dining experience by these wonderful Filipina chefs!

After a friend said that the tasting/set menu wasn’t that good, we decided to with the a la carte. Interiors are pleasant. Service is of course good. What I remember is how delicious that seafood appetizers were - the lobster spaghettini and uni risotto. The main course (my wife and I ordered seafood) was so-so in relation to the seafood appetizers. Maybe we should have tried the meat main course. Overall ok. But if we’re comparing new high-end restos like Toyo, Gallery by Chele, and Metronome which all require downpayments prior to eating - you should choose Chele.

iVegan Cafe Restaurant is a hidden gem located in the heart of Makati's central business district, offering a diverse menu of international vegan cuisine. From American and Filipino breakfasts to Japanese, Vietnamese, Italian, Korean, and Mediterranean dishes, this farm-to-table restaurant provides a variety of options for vegans and non-vegans alike.
I invited a friend to iVegan for lunch and I’m happy to report that she enjoyed her dining experience. I did, too! I loved that their menu was very whole foods. As a whole foods vegan, this warmed my heart 💚 of all the dishes I ordered, I loved the steak and eggs. It was light but filling. I enjoyed the kimchi rice, which wasn’t too spicy. The eggs could use a little more black salt though. I also had the mushroom chowder, which was so hearty. It’s a good thing I split it with my friend or I wouldn’t have an appetite for all the other dishes I ordered. The only downside might be the interiors. It feels generic and not too warm and welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d love to back and try the other dishes!

iVegan is a completely plant-based restaurant in Manila. The menu's options are extensive, and the items I tried were very delicious. I had the Mango Terriyaki Maki Roll, the Quesadilla - very yummy with the added salsa and also the Ceasar salad. Although the dressing on the Caesar wasn't typical, closer to a vinaigrette, and the lettuce was slightly wilted. Also had a lemongrass iced tea, which was very refreshing, but a little too sweet for my taste. Definitely would go back, recommended!

We researched that there is a 5 Star 🌟Grab Eats Vegan Restaurant here in Makati so we have to try it. 👍💪 IVegan Cafe & Restaurant started in 2019 and they are serving 100% plant based. The sweetener they used is coconut sugar. For lunch here is what we ordered. 💚🌿 ✅️ Tapa [All Day Breakfast] ✅ ️Gyoza [Starters] ✅️ Scallop [Starters] ✅️ Kare-Kare [Vegan Bowls] ✅️ Primavera [Pizza] ✅️ Very Berry [Smoothies] ✅️ Tropical Green [Smoothies] Like it all! We had so much fun eating here at IVegan! Yummy food, super flavorful. You won't miss eating at all. They make ingredients here from scratch like the sauces, cheese, etc. Our personal fave is the pizza (grabe yung cheese ang sarap) and the sisig. Also their scrambled egg tastes legit! Visit niyo to enjoy healthy and flavourful food. Perfect for the whole fam. :)

They have an ongoing promo! If your order is above P400, you get a free P120-drink. I happened to upgrade my kare-kare with quinoa so my fresh buko (in shell) was considered free. I love that the interiors were fuss-free and subdued. A nice break from the chaos of Makati. Ansarap din ng vagoong nila.

Nestled in the vibrant Poblacion district, Mijo Comfort Food is a delightful haven for those seeking a blend of good music, inventive cocktails, and heartwarming dishes. The restaurant's cozy ambiance makes it feel like home, attracting a loyal following among locals. During challenging times, Chef Enrique Moreno showcased his dedication by preparing meals for frontliners with community support.
If you’re looking for a date place or a hangout spot this rooftop bar and restaurant in Makati is a must-try. They really meant it when they claimed comfort food! Everything we tried was hearty and packed with flavor. Of the food, I enjoyed the Sisig Tacos, Paella, and Bread Pudding the most. We also ordered a round of cocktails and everyone enjoyed. I loved their Grapefruit Sour, and the Lila was so refreshing! Place was not crowded at all on a Sunday evening, and the layout really makes it nice and cozy for small gatherings. The servers were all so nice and attentive when dinwd there. Thank you again!

We spent my bf's birthday here. Loved the ambience, the food is good, the staff are friendly and accommodating. I reserved a few days before his birthday and asked if they can give a piece of cake with a candle. On the day, they actually messaged me and didn't see the message! But still gave it anyway after our meal, it was a funny interaction. overall a great place. Would definitely go back there for some coffee while I work :)

Nice place to chill, very friendly staff and they make sure you always have water on your glass or at least whenever they can. All the food we had are good, paella we had was a little salty but if it was a little less salty it would have been perfect, also I wished that the paella had a little more of the rice maybe add at least 100-200grams more, as it was too little but they were generous with the other ingredients included in. Overall everything was great just add a little more rice to the paella and it will be perfect, just a little bit underwhelming lang din kc to scoop the rice na halos flat layer lang I wish madagdagan lang kahit a little bit more.

Mijo proved to be a delightful discovery on my first visit, feeling like a hidden gem in Poblacion that deserves to be shared. Their thoughtfully curated menu, while not extensive, speaks volumes about their commitment to quality over quantity. The food certainly lived up to expectations. We sampled the Iberian Chicken, Sisig Tacos, and Chorizo Fries, each leaving a distinct impression. The house-made chorizo in the Chorizo Fries was a standout – truly perfect and easily ranks among the best I've ever tasted. The Sisig Tacos were incredibly delicious ("masarap, masarap!"). The sisig boasted a wonderful crispiness. While they leaned towards the pricier side, the quality definitely justified the cost. The Iberian Chicken was also enjoyable. However, I found the balsamic dressing on the accompanying side salad to be a bit too tangy for my preference. Taking advantage of their one-buy-one-get-one cocktail offer, we opted for the Gin Basil Smash. Initially, it presented with a strong citrusy note, but it mellowed out and became more balanced as it diluted slightly. The service was commendable. Despite being walk-ins, we were readily accommodated by a friendly staff. For those who smoke, they also have a designated smoking area. Additionally, the restroom was clean and well-equipped with handwashing facilities and soap. However, it's worth noting that parking in the area is quite limited. Also, Mijo is situated on the second floor and unfortunately is not wheelchair accessible I'm already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of Mijo's menu.

If good Spanish food near makati poblacion area is what you’re craving for then Mijo has your back. I appreciate it that they give you an option on how cook you want your paella to be. Their rib eye steak is also tasty especially if you order a creamed spinach on the side. I highly recommend this place. P.s. it’s not pwd friendly. It’s on the 2nd floor with no elevator access.

Cafe Adriatico, located in Manila, was once a humble eatery for taxi drivers but has since become an iconic cafe. The owner transformed it into a welcoming space for everyone. It's situated on one of the busiest streets in the capital, making it perfect for people watching while enjoying local favorites like pancit palabok, suman sa lihiya, and ensaymada with tsokolate eh.
We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions here! What we ordered: ✅ Farmer's Breakfast (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) – A delicious balance of sweet and sour flavors from the pork and egg, perfectly paired with garlic fried rice. ✅ Landlord's Breakfast (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) – The smoky, flavorful sirloin, textured sausage, and well-cooked scrambled egg all come together beautifully with garlic fried rice. The rice itself is decent but feels a bit average compared to the high-quality main components. The fresh, sweet mango adds a refreshing touch to the meal! Each dish comes with a complimentary black coffee + milk and a glass of cold water—such a great bonus! The staff were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic, explaining the menu in detail and even advising us not to order extra drinks since we already got free ones. Though the space isn't too large, it's still cozy. We were lucky to get a seat by the window, offering a great view of Adriatico Street, adding to the authentic Manila experience. Highly recommended if you're visiting the Philippines and will spend some time in Manila!

We always come back to Cafe Adriatico to enjoy their food. There is always an endless choice from their excellent selections. This is in addition to the favorite orders we never tire of, especially their exceptional desserts. Once the staff gets familiar with you, you are always expertly taken very good care of. I highly recommend CA anytime!

I went here because of Andrew E’s classic hit pop song Banyo Queen. I was supposed to order beer for the vibe, but found out brewed coffee is complimentary, so i went for the caffeinated beverage instead. Ordered the farmer’s breakfast but the leafy salad wasn’t served. At first glance the turon looked like a savory lumpiang toge. I prefer my tocino be somewhat overcooked. They served it “wet”. Still tasty, though. Restroom is on the 2nd floor.

The most satisfying meal in the Philippines in my view. Ordered the pork knuckle and pork belly and although you really can get by with just one pork dish, they were just so damn GOOD!!!!! I felt like I needed to have a nap after 😂 Can't recommend enough

This branch retained the old charm. It’s still the old cafe adriatico we have known for ages. For merienda we ordered hummus with pita bread the serving is generous and taste is good. Baby squid pasta lacks rich taste and serving size is just ok. Special bibingka is a thumbs up however it was a bit small for the price. For dessert we ordered halo-halo and buko pandan. Both of them tastes just average. Street Parking can be limited. Service is still a thumbs up

Our first time visiting Philippines and our first meal on Filipino food, it was extraordinary and impressive! This restaurant was recommended by travelers on YouTube so I’ve decided to try since we stayed nearby. The first impression upon entering this restaurant was like stepping back in time, the menu has a wide selection of food and was well presented. The staff recommended Lola Ising’s adobo rice which was pork belly cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside with meat falling apart on the inside, the accompaniment grilled garlic and pickles elevated the whole dish, i totally enjoyed it. My partner had the Beef Stroganoff served with pilaf rice which was another winner. The rice had a pleasant fragrance and was cooked to excellent texture. Would definitely return if around this area.

Nostalgic!!! We frequent this resto and a family fsvorite in the 90's, havent visited the resto for like 20 years or more. I must say this resto lived up to its name with time! A must dine once in a lifetime. Food, service, ambiance is what it used to be, perfect for intimate dates or simply a dine out with family. Youll never go wrong with any food you order. Kodawari Salcedo is a Japanese restaurant in Makati that offers an authentic and meticulously prepared menu capturing the essence of Japan. Initially operating as a delivery-only store during the pandemic, it has now blossomed into a must-try gem in Makati. The diverse and delectable menu showcases its dedication to exceptional Japanese fusion food and service.
“Kodawari involves extraordinary attention to even the smallest details, with a focus on continuous improvement” says Google when I searched this restaurant’s name’s English translation. Food was not only delicious but they truly paid attention to the details of its presentation. The food looked too good to eat! Prices were reasonable, too. Most of all, the outdoor seating area allowed our furbaby to chill while we eat. They even served her a bowl of iced water. Though we were seated outdoors, the staff made sure they attended to our orders promptly.

Great first visit for a quick dinner — food was appetizing and servings were good for the price. We tried their bestsellers: Spicy Salmon, Chashudon, and Chillimansi. The salmon was fresh and tasty (not really spicy, which I prefer), the Chashudon had tender pork and flavorful rice, and the Chillimansi noodles were better than expected with nice touches like egg and shrimp. Service was fast and the staff were very attentive. The space is small, so it can be difficult for bigger groups and a bit noisy, but overall it’s a great spot for Japanese fusion cravings at a fair price. Will likely come back to try the other dishes and desserts.

Visited for the very first time after the night of Michelin announcement. Well-deserved. Cool vibe, Millennial crowd primarily. With waiting list but did not last long and right after we were ushered to our table, a complimentary kraagi & water. We ordered the popular gyudon rice & spicy salmon and loved them! Reasonably priced. Warm service. Will be back. Keep it up!
Genevieve A — Google review
The food at Kodawari Salcedo is a total knockout! Everything I ate was delicious and made with care. The spicy salmon is a sensational starter; it’s raw, but the flavor is so fresh and perfectly seasoned, it’s completely irresistible. The Gyudon is also a great choice, offering excellent value with a huge serving and tons of meat—it’s satisfying comfort food. But honestly, the undisputed champion was the Chashudon. The pork was unbelievably soft and tender, melting in my mouth, and the rich flavor was simply divine.I also tried the Chilimansi noodles. It’s a creative dish with a spicy and tangy dressing, but I thought it was just okay—nothing new, but it's tasty. Even the drinks were fantastic. Both the house blend iced tea and the kodawari herbal iced tea were great—the house blend wasn't sticky or too sweet, and the herbal one was perfectly mixed and wonderfully refreshing. I recommend you don’t skip the dessert! The fuji apple cloud was amazing, with a lovely hint of cinnamon and super soft ice cream paired with tender apple slices. The service was prompt and professional. The staff were very attentive and moved quickly, which meant I didn't wait long for my food. They were fast to assist me whenever I needed anything. Just remember, they do add a service charge to the bill. The restaurant has a bright and welcoming vibe. There are plenty of tables, and some even have comfy couches. My only two small comments are about the space: the main walkway can feel a little tight when the place is full. Also, a quick suggestion for the restroom: it was clean, but I think adding a nice air freshener would make the experience even better. Overall, if you're looking for a Japanese place where the food is the absolute star, Kodawari Salcedo is a must-visit. Despite minor spatial issues, the exceptional quality of their signature bowls and the delicious drinks guarantee a satisfying and highly memorable dining experience. The generous portions and outstanding flavors make it well worth the trip!

Everything we ordered was spot-on delicious. The place stayed impressively clean despite the rush of customers. The Salt and Pepper Mushroom and karaage were standouts. I went with the Spicy Gyudon - absolutely incredible, and the serving was huge. Definitely adding this to my list of go-to dining spots.
M Y — Google review
Food Beef Gyudon – The serving size is very generous, and the meat is cooked really well. Presentation is also impressive. The flavor is mellow, which I personally prefer—especially compared to other restaurants' gyudon that tend to be overly salty. The only downside is how oily it is. The flavors are great, but the oiliness makes it a bit hard to finish the whole bowl. Maybe a slice of lemon or calamansi could help cut through the richness. A chilimansi dip might also pair well with this dish. Pork Chashudon – Also comes in a generous portion. The pork is beautifully cooked—while it may look charred, it doesn’t taste burnt at all. It’s very soft and easy to bite into. The flavors are richer and stronger than the gyudon, which I really liked. Karaage – Once again, a generous serving. The chicken is cooked well, though a few pieces were slightly dry. Each piece is nicely crispy. The only dipping option I noticed was kewpie mayo—not sure if other sauces were available. Personally, I think slices of lemon or calamansi would’ve been a great addition here too, especially since most of the dishes we ordered were on the oily side. --- Service All the servers were attentive and present. Great service overall. --- Atmosphere The restaurant is quiet and comfortable. Seating options are available for couples, small groups, and even larger parties of six. However the whole place is not that large. Walking space is just enough for two people. If coming as a large group, I think it would be best to avoid rush hours. --- I really wish I could give half-star ratings, because my experience here is a solid 4.5 out of 5.
Errol N — Google review
Servings were filling. Food is well seasoned and service is prompt. I would have given 5 stars for the food if it weren’t for some pork belly pieces that smelled/tasted a bit funky. It was probably 3pcs out of my whole Chashudon bowl. We went here a little past 4pm so seating was plenty and comfortable.

I saw the hype about Kodawari’s chashudon online, so I tried it for myself and the reviews were absolutely on point. It was so delicious! The quality-to-quantity ratio is amazing, and you can tell they really care about what they serve. I’ll definitely go back just to have that dish again. Totally worth it.

People's Palace offers a modern take on Thai cuisine in Makati, serving expertly prepared dishes with fresh ingredients and organic vegetables. The restaurant is known for its stunning surroundings, excellent service, and consistently delicious Thai fare. One of their standout dishes is the yam som o, or pomelo salad, featuring juicy citrus wedges paired with prawns, shredded chicken, fresh herbs, and a lime-coconut dressing.
This Thai restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The fish cakes were tender and flavorful, paired perfectly with a special dipping sauce. The fried fish pieces were served with a sweet and sour sauce that was appetizing and not greasy. The spring rolls were crispy and went really well with the Thai-style dipping sauce. What impressed me the most was their Thai pomelo salad – refreshingly light and a perfect balance of flavors. Overall, the food was authentic, and the service was attentive. Highly recommend for anyone who loves Thai cuisine!

I thought it was going to be more expensive hahaha I was satisfied with the food really. Peoples Palace probably started my journey through Thai food in Manila. It would be a five if it was cheaper because it didn’t seem like it had anything fancier except that the food tasted good for me. A 5/5 would be - also a wow factor for the price 😹 Nothing spectacular with the service so just a good old “3”

One of the most authentic Thai restaurant I've tried. The bagoong rice is so good, a complete meal in itself with meat, mangoes, cucumber, onions and chilies. The squid dish is also yummy, cooked just right. Not a fan of the curry but I heard it tasted good as well. The pad thai, hmmm... although it has that authentic thai taste, it still doesn't remind me of the ones served in Thailand but still a must try if you visit their restaurant. Overall, a good visit, the ambiance in the restaurant is cozy, a little of the fine dining feels but not over the top that you feel you need to dress up to eat here. The staff are very attentive so another plus on my book. Will definitely visit again!

630peso. The cost-performance wasn’t great. The waiter could have asked if we preferred all fried noodles or a half-and-half option with both boiled and fried noodles—this would have let us choose our preference in advance.. Also, it seemed like they assumed they were entitled to a tip, as they didn’t bring our change or the receipt... At this level of service, we could easily find better restaurants nearby—even without going to Greenbelt.

So far, the best Thai restaurant I’ve tried. Every dish bursts with refreshing and explosive flavors—authentic yet elevated. The service is superb, with staff who are attentive and warm without being overbearing. Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, each visit feels like a culinary escape to Bangkok. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is very popular—especially on weekends during lunch and probably also dinner—so it’s hard to get a table unless you arrive early or make a reservation. The food is truly authentic Thai, and you can ask for your preferred spice level, including Thai-level spiciness. If you do, the flavors genuinely bring back memories of real Thai cuisine. We tried the Tom Kha Gai (spicy coconut soup with shrimp), which was wonderfully aromatic, and the larb made with minced pork, seasoned perfectly with herbs. We asked for it spicy, and it really delivered—the heat was exactly how it should be. For dessert, we had the fried bananas with coconut ice cream—pure ambrosia. The only surprise was the price: the dessert cost as much as a full-sized main dish. We also ordered a double espresso to go with dessert, and it was very good, though the cups were quite thick. I think it would have tasted even better served in more delicate porcelain. The service was impressively efficient—something you don’t often find in Manila. The only downside is that the tables are placed very close to each other. Since the restaurant is rather small, it's always quite noisy, which slightly detracts from the overall dining experience.

I accidentally ordered the wrong item, a spring roll instead of a summer roll, and the staff was so generous and hospitable that they returned the item and swapped it for the item I wanted, which wasn’t even on the menu I realized afterwards! They did not even charge me for my mistake! The food was delicious, but nothing can compare to the absolutely extraordinary treatment from the staff. I was welcomed in from the start, and checked on with a time update on the food, and given a complimentary drink and specialty nuts after they sent back the original order. I cannot express enough how professional, and more importantly kind, the staff was. Exceptional service — thank you so much Will and Bobby, and the rest of the team!!

Ilustrado Restaurant is a renowned dining spot located in the heart of historic Intramuros in Manila. Housed in a charming heritage building, it offers a romantic setting with antique decor and lush surroundings, making it popular for tourists and wedding venues. The menu features a mix of Spanish, Filipino, and global cuisines, including traditional dishes like callos Madrilena and jamon serrano alongside favorites like caesar salad and Canadian maple-glazed baby back ribs.
Great service! Very friendly host and even more attentive, professional and polite wait staff. Food were amazing as always. My favorite was the tanigue in turmeric cream (amazing sauce and perfectly cooked fish!), paella ilustrado (generous in fresh seafood and meat toppings), and sampaguita ice cream (I think it's a divisive flavor but I personally enjoy it). I appreciate the traditional look of the resto but I hope they can use table cloths with no stains next time. Ilustrado is a must-visit when in Intramuros!

Had the chance to grab a quick dinner here after hearing it’s a popular spot in the area. The host guided me to my seat right away, and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. The food was okay and satisfying for a quick meal. The location is also convenient, very close to Intramuros, which makes it a nice stop if you’re exploring the area. Overall, a good spot for a casual meal with great service.

Overpriced and Unhelpful Service I booked this venue for an upcoming event and ran into a few issues during the planning stage mainly with the food tasting. The package included tasting for two people, but since I’m based overseas, I arranged and paid for three extra family members to attend (₱2,000 per head). On the day, three other relatives came along but ordered à la carte and weren’t part of the tasting, which had been clearly communicated in advance. After the tasting, my family raised a few concerns: • Some of the agreed menu items weren’t served. • Portions were quite small considering the extra ₱6,000 we paid. • No alternative options were offered for dishes that didn’t work out. When I tried to relay this feedback, the staff member handling my booking came across as defensive and dismissive. Instead of offering solutions, they seemed more focused on explaining why things happened, which made the whole exchange unnecessarily frustrating. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend this venue for event planning or coordination based on how things were handled.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious — everything was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were super friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, perfect for enjoying a nice meal. Highly recommend this place if you want to try authentic Filipino cuisine with great service!

Great Atmosphere, Disappointing Service Ilustrado Restaurant has a beautiful, nostalgic vibe that fits perfectly in Intramuros. The setting really does feel like a walk back in time. Elegant, old school, and well put together. That part, no question, is the highlight. Unfortunately, the service just didn’t match the setting. We were a group of five and they only set up four place settings. When they added the fifth, they forgot the plate and utensils. We ordered champurrado and asked for extra bowls. They brought out only two and forgot the spoons. It was a constant pattern of having to ask twice for things that should have been automatic. When the next set of dishes came out, the used plates from earlier weren’t cleared, leaving the table crowded. We had to ask them to clear it and even then, they only did half the job. We had to call them again just to make room for the new dishes. The food was decent but not memorable. I’ve had better paella elsewhere at a lower price point. Nothing was bad but it didn’t justify the premium. To their credit, they offered to hold our leftovers while we explored Intramuros, which was thoughtful and appreciated. I really wanted to enjoy the experience more than I did. The ambiance is amazing, but the service was careless and left a lot to be desired. If they can tighten that up, the place has real potential. But for now, two stars feels honest.

Love all the foods I ordered here. Definitely a restaurant we should go when we are at Intramuros. I love Kambing Kaldreta!! I also ordered Fish Sinigang and Beef Salpicao. Love them all 💯

Friendly staff. Place has not enough ventilation - it’s kind of hot. The food, however, is delicious. It’s my first time to eat sampaguita ice cream, and it amazes me!
Jah R — Google review
Vastly overrated food without the "fine dining" service it boasts. Kare-kare served first without the rice, despite being the main. The dish was full of blackened specks from the burnt meat—if there was ever any meat at all. Calamares were soggy and tasted old. The coating was a joke even if the squid was fresh. Drinks were good but I was served the wrong one and charged the wrong one as well at the end. Apart from the ambiance and live music, there's nothing in this restaurant that I'd come back for. I don't mind paying—but at least let the food be fresh! Avoid. There are better options.

Steak house
Bondi & Bourke, located in Davao, offers a delightful blend of Australian cuisine in a chic and modern setting. The restaurant, situated within a trendy boutique hotel, is known for its sophisticated comfort food co-created by chefs Wade Watson and Patrick McCarthy. The menu features an array of options including grilled kebabs, steak cooked to perfection, seafood dishes, and unique twists on classic drinks.
I just want to commend Boni and Burke Restaurant for consistently delivering an outstanding dining experience. The food is always exceptional — flavorful, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between cozy and elegant, making every visit feel special. Most of all, the staff are incredibly warm, attentive, and professional. Their genuine hospitality truly sets the place apart. Thank you for being a go-to spot for memorable meals and excellent service. Keep it up!

Our recent visit here was good. The food was truly brilliant—each dish was a creation of flavor and presentation. They served good wine and the Pork belly melted in your mouth.. though I hope they add additional sauces as it felt dry when paired with a slice of squash
Rosa L — Google review
Dining at Bondi & Bourke was such a treat! The ambiance felt refined yet welcoming, and to make the experience even more special, Chef & Owner Wade Watson himself graced us during our visit. We indulged in a wonderful lineup of lamb dishes: Australian Lamb Chops – perfectly cooked and paired with house-made labneh, mint cucumber, grilled lemon, and herbed oil. Fresh, tangy, and herby flavors elevated the juicy chops beautifully. Slow-Braised Aussie Lamb Shank – served with green pea and potato purée, root vegetables, roasted onions, mint jus, chimichurri, and crispy onion rings. Every bite was tender, flavorful, and layered with textures. Truly unforgettable! Lamb Bolognese Pasta – a comforting twist on a classic, with ground lamb adding a rich, meaty flavor to the sauce. Bondi & Bourke truly showcased the best of Australian lamb—premium flavors, beautifully plated, and executed with so much finesse. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a true Aussie dining experience here in Manila.

When you ordered a 600g steak, they gave you 400g +20mins more waiting; When you ordered a Medium-Well steak, they gave you something bloody and ask you how’s the steak, do you want to wait for cooking again… God knows what happened to this restaurant, it was pretty good before, or perhaps I didn’t know it yet.

Bondi & Bourke is an exceptional dining destination that perfectly combines comfort, elegance, and world-class flavors. The steaks are always cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and bursting with rich flavor. Their menu offers a great selection of international dishes, each one crafted with high-quality ingredients and great attention to detail. The ambiance is classy yet welcoming, ideal for both casual lunches and special occasions. The staff are professional, friendly, and attentive, making every visit a truly satisfying experience. Definitely one of the best spots in the city for a premium dining experience!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bondi and Bourke, and it was a delightful experience. We ordered the seafood pasta, hummus, and Aussie steak pie, and each dish stood out in its own way. The seafood pasta was absolutely fantastic. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the seafood was fresh and flavorful. The sauce complemented the dish beautifully, making it a truly satisfying meal. The hummus was smooth and well-seasoned, a great appetizer to start the meal. It was served with freshly baked bread, which paired nicely with the creamy texture of the hummus. The highlight of the meal for me was the Aussie steak pie. The pastry was flaky, and the filling was rich and savory, full of tender meat and just the right amount of seasoning. It had an authentic taste that made me feel like I was dining in Australia. Overall, Bondi and Bourke offers a wonderful dining experience with a diverse menu. The quality of the food, especially the seafood pasta and steak pie, makes it worth a visit. Highly recommended for those looking for a mix of international flavors in a cozy setting.

Dampa Seaside Market, located along Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard in Pasay, Metro Manila, is a seafood lover's paradise. At this bustling market, visitors can handpick fresh seafood from various stalls and have it cooked to their liking at nearby restaurants. From live oysters and red frog crabs to lobsters and mantis shrimp, the market offers a wide selection of fresh catches.
An awesome restaurant with fresh seafood markets nearby. You can go with one if the staff to the market and pick the seafood you like. They will cook it for you as you like. A great experience. But it is not the cheapest. Anyway really nice staff.

We had a fresh seafood feast at Great Emperor at Dampa Seaside Market —sea mantis, steamed shrimps, shells, calamares, vegetables, rice, and ice-cold Coke. Everything was well-cooked and flavorful, with the natural taste of the seafood really shining through. The sea mantis was a standout—rare, juicy, and perfectly done. While the food was satisfying and the freshness top-notch, the total bill came out to a hefty ₱6,000+ for just two people. Definitely on the pricey side for a dampa experience. If you're up for a splurge on premium seafood, it’s worth a visit—but best to come with a group to get more value for your money.

Dampa Seaside isn’t polished, and that’s the beauty of it. The chaos of vendors, the hum of families, the sizzling scent of garlic butter—it’s all part of the story. Every plate feels like a celebration: prawns crisp and golden, crabs rich with salted egg, fish kissed by the grill. It’s food that doesn’t whisper—it sings. Come here hungry, come here with friends, and you’ll leave reminded that meals aren’t just eaten, they’re shared. That’s the magic of Dampa Seaside.

Went back to my favorite restaurant in Dampa, Trinity, and as always, the food was cooked and served perfectly. The quality never disappoints! Though I have to say, the prices of seafood have really gone up, proof that inflation is real. PS: I really hope they can do something about the parking situation and the bumpy road leading there.

The pricing of fresh seafood is quite cosy, and I advise you to bring cash because credit cards are not accepted at the ATM, which is a little bit far across the road. We are 4Pax nearly cost us Php10k. We came across Leo from Seazars Food House, he is very good at assisting us to pick some fresh seafood to grill, our waiter is Renz, he is very attentive to what we need. I recommend visiting Seazars Food House, Seaside Macapagal Boulevard, Pasay City.

Food are all fresh, The price are all reasonable, you've got to choose what you want to eat and pay for it and ask them to cooked for you ofcourse with a seperate charges which I find quite expensive for cooking alone .For my experience the charges of cooking can get u more seafood if you know how to cook at home. Overall it's good for 1time experience 😊

Italian restaurant
Caruso Ristorante Italiano is a renowned dining destination in Makati, offering an authentic taste of Italy in the vibrant Salcedo Village. The restaurant exudes old-world charm with its classic Italian ristorante ambiance, featuring white tablecloths, soft lighting, and art-adorned walls. Since its establishment in 2002, Caruso has been a favorite among locals and even attracted celebrities like Andrea Bocelli.
Our experience at Caruso Ristorante Italiano was 5 star. We lived in Italy for several years and we aren't easily surprised by Italian restaurants outside of Italy. This restaurant is the exception. Leo the Manager runs a efficient elegant experience on the level of any fine Italian restaurant in Italy. The ambiance is very old world traditional wood, brass and copper. The art is a playful modern interpretation of Italian food and locations. The tables are elegantly set with crisp white table cloths and well appointed waiters. We were welcomed and promptly seated and presented with three menus food with specials, a wine menu, and a vegetarian menu with a wide selection.of vegetarian choices. We were pleasantly surprised with bread dipping oil, olives, and pungent chunks of parmesan. We were quickly attended to, we placed our order and all questions were answered promptly. Our wine of choice The Primitivo arrived quickly and was presented professionally. The Enasalada Caprese ( tomatoes, basil and mozzarella) arrived promptly. The mozzarella was fresh and creamy. We received our pasta dishes and the the wine paired with them perfectly. The pasta was served hot. The Maccheronni pasta with a truffle cream sauce and porcini mushrooms was divine. The pasta was not to chewy or soft and the sauce adhered perfectly to it. The mushrooms were like velvet and you could smell the aroma of tartufo across the table. I took several bites of my spouse's Ravioli. The Ravioli with Sausage, beef, and pork was tender and well ground. The tomato sauce was bright and flavorful with the right amount of Parmigiano cheese sprinkled on top. Our wine glasses and water were refilled regularly and we were not hurried through our meal. I wish I had room for a second course, pizza ,or dessert all looked delicious. We opted for an authentic glass of lemoncello the perfect digestif for a lovely meal. We can't wait to come back on a Saturday for the piano player, or the Tuesday Tango dancing. Altogether a lovely peaceful meal on a Monday night with a busy but calm restaurant was appreciated. Well worth making a reservation. I can't wait to try more dishes. Thank you to Leo and staff for a 5 star experience.

The smell of detergent from the beer glass was so strong that I lost the taste of my food. The recommended wine wasn't tasty, and the pizza wasn't tasty either. The pasta was also not tasty so everyone in my group left it.

Ate here years ago and ordered takeaway recently. Whilst waiting I had some tiramisu and coffee. Waiters and staff were so attentive and prompt. Everything was so clean. It’s a bit dated now and when I was there it smelled of Lysol I think they were doing some cleaning in time for valentines and it smelled a bit too strong. I was the only customer and they were super attentive. Price is a bit too steep in my opinion but the quality of food was good and takeaway packed nicely. Due to the strong smell of cleaning agent I would say that my idea to not dine in was probably best because the smell was strong enough to take away your sense of taste. I’ll give them a 3.5 for this but pasta was good.

✅ Pros: 1. Accommodating 2. Homey 3. Godly quality! 4. Worth its value! 5. Staffs are beyond nice! ❌ Cons: N/A Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Remarks: Me and my boyfriend went here as recommended by the doctor friend of the owner and it didnt disappoint! The ambiance is just homy! LEO needs a raise as he's extremely accommodating and helped me decide what to order and even handed complimentary biscuits and limoncello! Its olive oil in cheese with toasted bread as complimentary starter is already to die for! We ordered: Appetizer Bruschette condite con pomodoro e basilico & Prosciutto Crudo The cold cuts are just perfect amount of savoury that compliments the fruit! While the bruschette is just salivating! Its tomatoes are just fresh!!! Mains: Tagliatelle alla crema di tartufo (meatballs on the side as requested and even handed a special sauce (i think it's truffle!) Ravioli Carne al burro e salvia Ravioli was the one Leo recommended when i mentioned i wanted it meaty with tomato sayce and UGH didnt disappoint! While my partner ordered the other one. ITS PERFECT! Dessert Crème Brulée Tartufo Classico And of course both dessert didnt disappoint although I must say it's by preference! One might love the other one more but for me as a sweet tooth it's just perfect (again!) Overall, this just made me feel I'm all over back in Europe but to be quite frank it's Sooooo worth its value!! I think our bill was around 6,000 and it's a full course set already!

By today’s standards, this is a fairly large restaurant which features a small club room for more intimate gatherings. Can probably seat 120 persons or more. But this is refined dining at its best. Proper linens here. Proper serviettes/cloth napkins lightly starched and pressed to perfection. As they say, the ways of the “Old World” which is now a luxury. No surprise as the owner is himself a Milanese who relocated and is now with his family in Manila. High quality selection of fine wines. Even the sourcing of the saffron used in their risotto was carefully done. Their staff and servers are sharp and attentive. And knowledgeable. They even have a Maitre’ D on board with many years of experience. No wonder this place is a favored place of diners who want an excellent meal.
Oskie R — Google review
The place looked a bit run-down and had an unpleasant smell of mold. The service felt tiring and unprofessional. The food, especially the pizza, seemed made with cheap ingredients – even the salami tasted low quality, and the base was clearly frozen. The salad was just a mix of canned tuna, some mozzarella pieces, and two soft-boiled eggs thrown over basic lettuce. Overall, the presentation was poor, the quality disappointing, and the price far too high for what was offered. By the time we left, the restaurant was practically empty, which sadly didn’t surprise me.

Nice and cozy atmosphere to have a good dinner. The food are 100% Authentic Italian which will make you happy in every bite. The owner, Mr. Emilio is very friendly and even seat with us to have a chat and a good Prosecco. He even sings classic Italian songs that will make you smile because of his good voice despite his age. Will surely be back to try their other dishes.

Came here on an Italian expat's recommendation for authentic Italian pizza, the best pizza place and Italian restaurant he could find in the Philippines (Thanks Loïc). Showed up in the early evening without a reservation but nobody cared because the restaurant was empty, and service was a little slow even when it was only half full. Margherita Pizza, Mozzarella Bufala Pizza and Gnocchi/Gnochetta are great. Bolognese spaghetti is okay, nothing special like back home in the West or the U.S. Praline nougat ice cream is overpriced and abysmally small. Fried Calamari was okay, the grilled salmon and spinach were good but overpriced. The bread and olive oil dip were excellent. I'd give the pizza a 7/10 from what I've tasted here and elsewhere, though in the U.S. I've certainly had better, though it's made by actual Italians or Italian-Americans. Still, it was good, I liked it, I'd order it again, but it seemed overpriced nonetheless. Yeah, I'll eat here again. Spent around $197 or P10,800+ in total for 5 people and 1 child.

Food was a hit or miss. Nothing was overtly bad, it’s just that for the price, it was just ok. The wagyu nigiri was tender but it didn’t really melt in my mouth. Like there wasn’t any resistance chewing or anything but it felt like I was chewing for a while but the meat wasn’t disintegrating. Pescado frito was also just ok. Overall it lacked seasoning. The saving grace was the aioli it came with. Without that, the fish didn’t taste like anything even if it was cooked well. You only get a small sauce dish of it though so it’ll only last you 1/3 of the fish. If it was served with chahan instead of plain rice then it wouldn’t need as much sauce. The matcha lava cake was the best of what I ordered, no complaints with that

I had an amazing dining experience at Nikkei Ramen! The place has a cozy, relaxed vibe with just the right touch of modern Japanese charm. The highlight of my meal? The salmon sashimi. Just look at that marbling! 🧡 It was incredibly fresh, buttery, and sliced to perfection. It paired beautifully with the wasabi, pickled ginger, and that crunchy cucumber garnish. Service was warm and attentive, and the presentation of each dish shows they care about quality. Whether you’re a ramen lover, a sushi addict, or just craving something comforting and authentic, Nikkei Ramen delivers on all fronts. Can’t wait to come back and try the ramen next time!

It’s gonna be a habit like every after office to have a cocktail or two here. The ambiance makes me wanna stay and drink more… perfect time to catch-up with friends and loved-ones. My go-to cocktail is the Sake Sangria and it is not to disappoint! Now, I can’t wait to try other mixes not to mention they have happy hour promo as well. Aside from its complimentary chips (loved that it’s served toasted) and maguro sashimi (all time fave), I look forward to try their other delectable food here because the two times I dined here was only for a drink. And now, I promise to myself that the next one will be to munch that maki and sushi! I just wanna thank Ms. Gem and colleagues for always assisting us guests with its quality and professional service. I like the way they explain things and engage with the needs of customers.

Sarsá Kitchen + Bar, led by renowned chef JP Anglo, is a strong advocate for Filipino cuisine and culture. During the pandemic, the restaurant showed support for healthcare workers, raised funds for typhoon victims, and provided aid to delivery couriers. They also collaborated with other local establishments to offer family meal sets and ready-to-cook kits featuring Negrense dishes that are not commonly found in the city.
It was my first time trying out Sarsa and I was already sure I'm going to go back to this resto (not just to try other dishes we haven't ordered but also re-order some of our faves). My friends and I ordered a good mix of food and the only thing that disappointed me was my stomach which can't take in more spoonfuls. Everything was delicious and has a unique filipino taste that appealed to our taste buds. The atmosphere was also very cozy and fitting for night caps. Favorites: Chicken Isaw, Inasal Sisig, Kare kare

You can experience Filipino culture by enjoying a lively meal together. The flavors are rich and salty, so you'll likely need plenty of drinks or rice to balance them. There are some areas where the service could be improved, but they were hardly noticeable. Overall, it was a great atmosphere.
Es E — Google review
Had Sarsa for dinner on a Friday night. We made reservations, but the place was not so packed when we arrived around 7pm. We had a balikbayan from Australia so we wanted to have some Filipino food. We heard about Chef JP Anglo’s Sarsa, so we wanted to give it a try. What we ordered: EMPANADA 🫔 3.5/5 - A bit dry, not so special. The sauce elevated it by a bit. An alright starter. KINILAW 🐟 4.5/5 - We loved this and the sauce was great. We loved the blend of spicy, sour, and sweet in this dish. For the price though, it didnt feel justified. Some of the cuts of fish were too small to have an enjoyable texture. I think the cut affected our experience and we ended up comparing it to other kinilaws that we’ve tried. Would have went well also with bread to soak up the sauce. SIZZLING KANSI 🍖 4/5 - My friends really loved this one. Great with rice! 3 WAYS SISIG 🍛 3/5 - Not too special. I think this was our least favorite because it felt like we were eating simple pork fat with not much flavor. CRAB TORTANG TALONG 🦀 4.5/5 - Second star of the show. Was worried since another comment said it was regular torta, but a friend who does not like torta really loved it. The alamang, crispy bits, soft torta, and sauce all went well together. I’d dream about this hahaha PINAKBET RICE 🍚 3.5/5 - A tad bit too oily for our liking. Didnt have a strong flavor so it could pair easily with our other dishes. 💸 Bill for 4 people: 3,400 *about 850 per person 🚽 Bathroom: clean, no bidet. But the lit incense was a bit suffocating. Overall, it was a bit pricey, and we were worried at first about the quantity of the food because it didn’t look like it was enough. We ended up having some takeout though since I think we had too much oil in this meal. Nonetheless, we enjoyed and may come back for that crab torta!

We really wanted to love this place since we’re big fans of Chef JP Anglo, but our dine-in experience was underwhelming, sorryyy 😞 Pecho inasal was dry and bland and the 3-way sisig felt more like a gimmick... once mixed, it tasted like regular sisig you can get elsewhere for less. The only standout for us was the gising-gising. Unfortunately, the loud blender noise from the bar made us feel overstimulated, youll hear it in our videos. Spent around ₱1,500 for the dishes in our photo, but to be honest, we’ve had better meals at more affordable spots.

Saw this resto from a food blogger and got curious, so we tried it today. Ambiance: Decent. The bamboo light covers are nice, and the space isn’t that big — around 11 or 12 tables only. Service: Attentive and polite. They served our food with a short explanation about each dish. Food: For someone who has been outside the Philippines for a long time and misses this kind of food, we’ve tried several local dishes — from kanto-style to more elevated ones like this. We ordered: • Laing – 3/5. It was good, but nothing special about the taste. • Beef Kansi – 2.5/5. Again, nothing special. It tastes like bulalo. The serving was very small for ₱800+. Overall, not worth it. • Chicken Isaw – 1/5. Nothing special either, and it costs around ₱300+ for just 3 sticks. It’s dry isaw with vinegar sauce — that’s it. Honestly, kanto-style isaw tastes way better. • Rice – 4/5. For the price, the serving size is quite decent. Overall: It’s worth trying once, but we wouldn’t recommend coming back. Of course, everyone has different tastes, but for us, this place serves common-tasting food at high prices. I hope the management realizes that their pricing doesn’t match the quality — not even the place itself. I don’t mind paying ₱3,000+ for two if the food is great, but this one… nah!

The no BS review: Food: 5/5 - The beef kansi will not disappoint you! Service: 5/5 - Food was served within 10min after ordering. Atmosphere: 5/5 - Felt cozy and at home. I generally like their interior design which gave a light atmosphere. Price: 5/5 - The price did not really increase that much over the years. Also, their serving size is quite generous. The 1st time I tried Sarsa was at their BGC branch waaaay back 2017 or 2018. The first dish that I tasted was their chicken isaw and their famous beef kansi soup. At that time, my taste buds were introduced to a whole new world of flavors and absolutely loved it. Fast forward to 2025. I brought my wife to their Makati branch. It's her first time eating at Sarsa. We ordered isaw, kansi and crab tortang talong. Again..... an explosion of flavors. DELICIOUS! LAMI JUD! Their recent Michelin selection is truly well-deserved! Congrats to Chef JP and his team.

If you're searching for the perfect spot to enjoy a romantic dinner, look no further than Melo's Steak House in Westgate. This charming eatery specializes in high-quality steaks, with the Japanese Wagyu Ribeye standing out as a must-try delicacy. The experience of savoring a juicy steak here is truly elevated by the chefs' commitment to excellence.
Had the set meal and wine with a friend. The escargot, soup, steak were amazing! The sides, however, were a bit cold and the dessert wasn't as delicious -- but not a deal breaker at all! Our servers, however, were so attentive and friendly! Very much appreciated how they checked on us, making sure we were served on time. Highly recommended restaurant if you want to celebrate an occasion, or just want good food while catching up with friends!

The appetizers were absolutely to die for, especially the Oyster Rockefeller. Their complimentary bread was incredibly soft, and the shrimp was amazing as well. However, the Wagyu Tomahawk steak, priced at ₱18,500, was definitely NOT up to par with other restaurants I’ve tried. The meat was cold inside, and the beef fat had already started to harden, indicating it wasn’t cooked properly. I completely lost my appetite after tasting it. That said, the staff were genuinely nice and very well-trained—some of the best service I’ve ever experienced. The atmosphere was also fantastic. Would I return for the meal? Unfortunately, no.

Kenneth and Niño serve well and accommodate our concerns highly. They show great service all through out our dining experience. Per our experience, food served were all worthy of the price. They even gave us complementary dessert for celebrating occasion. The place is aesthetically pleasing as well.

From the moment we walked in, the experience was fantastic. The ambiance was perfect—cozy yet elegant—and our server was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. I ordered the Australian Wagyu for the steak and it was cooked to absolute perfection, tender and bursting with flavor. We also had clam chowder for our soup and it was so good. A truly memorable meal from start to finish. I can't wait to go back!

According to AI : Fine dining is a sophisticated and expensive restaurant experience characterized by multi-course meals, high-quality gourmet cuisine, and meticulous, attentive service. It is defined by an elegant and luxurious ambiance, expertly prepared food using premium ingredients, and a focus on the entire dining experience as an indulgent and memorable occasion. 1. From the first glance i thought this is the Fine dining we are looking for. It was ok, not until staffs are shouting around and doesn’t even know how to deliver the food and set the table. Food are pricey, of course Fine Dining nga e. Even though there are 3 AC, me and husband are still sweating. It wasn’t comfortable plus we were seated next to group of young people who could afford Fine dining but doesn’t have decency and manners to talk silent. „Fine dining is Generally more expensive than other restaurant types due to the high-quality ingredients, skilled staff, and premium location. „ 2. Menu was great! We went there because of the Foie gras and Steak. But after we saw how thin they serve the steak, not even half of an inch. Man! How could we even say medium rare? Wo we took burger instead since Lobster is also not available😭 So anyway i ordered Clam chowder as Appetizer that doesn’t even taste clam or any seafood at all. It only taste like a plain creamy vegetable soup. For the main course i took the Very salty Wagyu Hamburger. After that i have no appetite anymore. I cannot handle more disappointments. One more thing, twice we wanted something from their wine Menu. In the end after a long search, it wasnt available. In the end we told them to write down what are still available. How hard is it to cross them out?

Last December 24, 2023, we dined here for the first time. We found this restaurant on Google and chose it because it was Christmas night, and few restaurants were open. We were looking for something different, and it turned out to be a great, romantic date. After we got home, I checked their social media and discovered they offered various card discounts that could have saved us 3-4k. It’s honestly disappointed that they didn’t inform us about these discounts.

Italian restaurant
If you're craving authentic Italian flavors, look no further than Sicilian Roast by Giuseppe Genco, nestled on Palanca Street. This charming eatery brings a slice of Italy to Legazpi Village with its delectable offerings that include pizza, pasta, seafood dishes, and traditional Sicilian meats. Originating from Bohol, the restaurant has quickly become a favorite for those seeking an exquisite dining experience. The ambiance is inviting and relaxed, making it perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or family.
The foods that we ordered here were all so amazing!!! Every dish is a chef's kiss. Will definitely come that, oh my goodness. Their complimentary bread was already so so so good. We want to give thanks to Joy for being such a nice server and for explaining to us the menu
Tricia T — Google review
Visited on Valentine’s Day—not originally planned, but we took over a friend's reservation who couldn't make it. We didn't know the reservation came with the Valentine's set menu. While the food was great, we felt the menu could have offered more considering the premium price. We asked if we could just order a la carte, but the waitress said they were only serving the Valentine's menu that night. However, we later noticed the tables beside us were getting a la carte dishes—which was confusing. We were also told food would take over 30 minutes to prepare, which may explain the restriction, but it wasn’t consistently applied. Unfortunately, service was another letdown. Waitstaff weren’t very attentive unless they seemed to "favor" certain tables. We saw one table repeatedly calling for service, while another had their wine constantly refilled—even though the waiter later confirmed it wasn't unlimited. The inconsistency in attention and service really stood out. Overall, food was good, but the experience could've been much better with more transparency and consistent service. A simple service button or bell at the table would really help improve guest experience.

We had such a wonderful dining experience at Sicilian Roast! The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal. The staff were all very friendly, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. As for the food—everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Each dish was full of flavor and really well-prepared, making it clear that a lot of care goes into their cooking. It’s the kind of place where you enjoy every bite and already look forward to your next visit. Overall, Sicilian Roast gave us a memorable experience with its combination of great ambiance, excellent service, and amazing food. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

Everything here was so great — from the appetizer to the pizza to the baked lasagna! Combined with the fact that we came in for Lunch on a weekday and nobody else was around — the dishes felt homely but also of great quality, making the dining experience wonderful for us. Apart from their collab with Auro Chocolate, I heard they have a new menu — so that’s definitely worth checking out too.

Coffee shop
Coffee store
Yardstick Coffee's OG Legazpi Village branch underwent a temporary closure, but its reopening brought exciting changes. The revamped space now includes a Flavor Bar for tasting experiences and an expanded menu featuring specialty coffee, savory meals, and dreamy oat milk soft-serve. In addition to their signature coffee beans, Yardstick offers unique Nespresso capsules with flavors like Golden Ticket, blueberry candy, and Nicaragua natural. They also have Luca the Lion tea pods for Nespresso machines.
We’re back! We went here last time and ordered some donuts and tried their some of their Yarstick faves! Yardstick is THE coffee destination for a reason — recently named one of the World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops for 2025! The Feel-Good Latte really lives up to its name! It’s smooth, perfectly balanced, and that secret Feel-Good sauce hits differently — just the right touch of sweetness without overpowering the espresso. Love that they use OATSIDE too, it adds a creamy, guilt-free finish. Definitely my new go-to latte whenever I need a little pick-me-up. Fair warning though: this place is always packed. It’s tough to get a seat, but honestly? Worth it. Coffee this good is meant to be chased.
Pat D — Google review
We first tried the Yardstick at SM Aura which made us want to try this one. The location is amazing. It’s a quiet little street in Makati. The cafe has a lot of space and you can choose from a variety of seating options, I found that interesting. They have a bar area, a corner with high seats, cozy corners, as well as group tables. We ordered two coffees — sea salt latte and a signature drink made of sweet corn. These were both great — while I’d have liked more of a coffee flavor in my drink, the latte was amazingly good. Chill place to spend a few hours with a coffee. The rainy evening definitely added to our cozy experience. Will be back!
Pradeep M — Google review
Service was bad. The cashier(or barista) seemed not in the mood to work at 7:30AM in the morning, 30 minutes after they opened. She even seemed annoyed because we took like a minute to think of an alternative drink because their Matcha Latte wasn’t available, which from the reviews I just read here isn’t available most of the time. The sea salt latte tasted nothing like people hyped it up to be. It’s full of milk, yet it tasted BLAND, not creamy, and not even a hint of the sea salt. Same goes with their Vanilla Latte. Pesto was okay. However, the Fried Chicken and Waffles needed a little time to cook. The waffle has this sour taste (maybe that’s the taste? preference wise, we didn’t like that) and the chicken was just not fried enough. Also, we have 2 food and they didn’t have a tray? Do you expect customers to hold both plates and utensils when they claim their food?
Hermione A — Google review
Busy as it gets, this place is a great and friendly place to work. The menu might be overwhelming, but their baristas are helpful and can guide you in choosing the perfect coffee. The bombolini was absolutely delicious. It was so yummy and had just the right amount of sweetness. The coffee was also great. A good place to work to and just reflect.
Charles I — Google review
Absolutely loved my visit to Yardstick. The coffee was exceptional; smooth, rich, and clearly crafted with care. The space was modern and minimalist, perfect for hanging out or getting some work done. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the overall vibe was calm yet lively. Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast or just looking for a great café to relax in, Yardstick is worth the stop.
Archimedes — Google review
As a hot spot place booming on social media it was understandable that many people dine here. When we went, almost no seating available, just waited a few minutes and we had seats. Coffee was good. Pastry was good as well. Baristas are cuties. Would love to try the pour overs next time.
Choyce M — Google review
First time waking up early for breakfast haha! The food was great and really hearty, perfect to start the day. The coffee was okay too, a nice complement to the meal. Best (and most busy) cafe from my entire month in Manila. It was packed every time, so be ready to jump on any available seating. The coffee is great, the donuts are tasty, and vibe of the space is welcoming and comfortable. Since it gets so busy, please don’t come to sit on your laptop for hours.

After a two-year wait, the culinary gem known as 12/10 has finally opened its doors at 8 Rockwell, delighting fans with its exquisite offerings. This modern restaurant specializes in Japanese cuisine and is celebrated for its unique dishes like the beloved uni toast topped with chicken liver and a playful twist on the classic chocolate-caramel Twix bar served on a shortbread base. The atmosphere is inviting, featuring moody lighting that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.
Celebrated my partner Henry's bday here--he loves places that do omakase and tasting menus. As far as the food goes, it was pretty good, I loved that they accomodated my allergy and it's reasonably priced. I look forward to trying their lunch menu sometime soon. Highlights: tofu appetizer, the gyukatsu, the duck and the desserts. The service is also very good. The total price of the omakase set of 11 dishes without drinks is PHP 5,600++.

Amazing service with very attentive waitstaff. Food throughout the night was well done, only major comments I had was on the risotto since it wasnt as well balanced in terms of flavor profile and got very overwhelming but big highlight to the lobster and potato dish, and uni toast both very worthy of numerous return trips would gladly come back over and over again

We chose to celebrate our BF/GF anniversary at a place we hold close to our hearts. 2016-2020 we enjoyed the it’s first location as Guio Street Makati City. Locavore offers a modern twist on traditional Filipino dishes, providing elevated versions of familiar favorites. Food: Tried the corned steak and it was OK, meat was tender and flavours just right. Gising gising was also fine, nothing much to rave about. Service: (1) Phone reservation was annoying. The person on the other side of the line made me repeat all reservation details at least 3 times when I was already speaking very slowly and clearly. (2) Since I made the reservation, I was expecting that my group’s table would be ready when we got there - it was not. The service staff randomly picked a table for us but fortunately they allowed me to pick another one that I preferred. (3) It was hot, the A/C was not on and they were only relying on the mall’s cooling system. We were fanning ourselves with the menu and the staff obviously noticed that and they still did not bother to turn on the A/C. It was very uncomfortable that we just wanted to finish our meal quickly and get out of that place. (4) It took them 30 minutes to serve the meal. Atmosphere: Could have been better if not for the discomfort of sweating while having your meal. It was our first time to dine there and will certainly not come back.

Locavore is one of the standout restaurants that elevates traditional Filipino cuisine into a more premium dining experience. However, during our first visit, the experience was a bit of a mixed bag—though, for the most part, it was a hit. Salted Egg Gabi Chips – These were absolutely delicious! Once you start, it’s hard to stop. The crispy texture paired with the salted egg flavor is quite addictive. This was definitely a HIT for me. Sizzling Sinigang – I’ve seen many vloggers rave about this dish, but sadly, it didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. The sinigang broth was overly sour (even for a sinigang) and too salty. While this may be to some people’s liking, it didn’t work for me. This was a MISS. Garlic Baby Squid – Another fantastic dish from Locavore. The umami flavor was well-balanced—neither too strong nor too subtle. The squid was perfectly cooked, tender and not at all rubbery or chewy. This was a definite HIT for me. Sugpo Con Mayonesa – I’m on the fence with this one. While it’s flavorful, I found the mayonnaise to be a bit too overpowering. After a few spoonfuls, it became a bit too rich and “nakaka-umay” (a term for feeling overwhelmed by the taste). I’d call this dish neither a HIT nor a MISS—it’s somewhere in between for me. Overall, Locavore offers a fantastic upscale dining experience, albeit a bit on the pricier side. If you’re looking for Filipino food with a modern twist, this is the place to go. However, while I can see myself and my family occasionally visiting Locavore to explore more of their creative dishes, I would still gravitate toward more traditionally cooked and affordable Filipino meals at places like Kuya J, Gerry’s Grill, Aling Sosing’s, or Tapsi ni Vivian at Bulaluhan.

The Curator Coffee & Cocktails has been a consistent feature on the Asias 50 Best Bars list since 2016. Owned by David Ong, this speakeasy is renowned for its custom-made cocktails and meticulous attention to detail. Established in 2013, it has gained a reputation for its precise and inventive drinks, often served with detailed explanations. The menu changes regularly based on local ingredients and the bartenders' recommendations.
Dropped by for coffee but they close early (around 5 PM??), so we ended up trying their bar instead.. and no regrets! I love how you can choose your drink based on their spiderweb-style flavor chart (or whatever it’s called 😅). The staff were super approachable, and their free shots? SO good! Definitely coming back soon!

Very raw and lowkey interior setup, and as my companion said, "it's not aesthetic". But hey, you come in here for high quality service and cocktails. Definitely not watered down so I like that it's gimmicky, but at the same time, alcohol-forward. The staff are really nice too (not a first timer here btw). Shoutout to Erika for being so nice by giving us free shots and other stuff. Probably the only time I will give this a perfect score is when there's a snack menu. Yes, they give you free nuts and refills, but still, bar food is the way to go for proper cocktail pairing.

The drinks are average but consistently reliable, with strong customer appeal. What truly stands out, however, is the service. Every staff member is friendly, introduces themselves by name, and even offers a handshake. Weekend music selections were also excellent. The interior is very simple, yet it’s easy to see why this brand is so popular.

The servers were absolutely hospitable. As soon as we stepped in, we were offered somewhere to seat and just a few minutes later, our server (Ben) took his time to introduce their entire menu to us. They offer customized drinks as well. The place was big enough that it won't feel too crowded and you have space to talk intimately with whoever you're with. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to just chill while drinking.

We learnt about this place from a blog. It’s a rare unique mixology bar with highest quality of mastering the cocktail mixing. Kiko and others are increasingly crafty with their skills and I wish them many years to come

Went here with my boyfriend on a Friday night and it was pretty packed but still had a cozy and intimate vibe. The service is great and the waiters were incredibly attentive and helpful. We ordered cocktails and the Pandesal was my favourite, it was their own take on the classic espresso martini and it was a 10/10 for me. You can even order off the menu which we appreciated so much! Would go back here again.

Paradise Dynasty is a top choice for those seeking an upscale dining experience with a focus on Chinese cuisine. The restaurant is renowned for its signature xiao long bao, which comes in eight unique flavors, including original, luffa gourd, foie gras, black truffle, crab roe, cheese, garlic and Szechuan. While the setting exudes luxury and elegance, it may not be the best option for budget-conscious diners.
Food are always good. Truffle xlb is a winner 5/5 Crystal prawn salted egg yolk is another fave 5/5 Xlb 5/5 Stir fry pork with black bean sauce 4/5 Lamien beef brosket (a bit salty) 3/5 Shanghai fried rice 5/5

This restaurant serves one of my fave Chinese style noodles, the braised pork was so good and the noodles just the right firmness, sadly the soup was not that hot. Radish pastry is a must order for those who want to try something that is not on your usual dimsum menu. For dessert, I recommend the red bean pancake, crispy and hot but not too sweet. Hopefully next time they will serve the service tea that is hot because the one served to us was room temp already.

Favorite for this meal was the Salted Egg Custard bun ⭐️ I personally like custard buns to begin with🤌🏻💯 The filling was creamy, rich, slightly sweet, and very flowy. The bun itself is just average (maybe because I already ate it when it was cold) — it isn’t chewy, but it isn’t dry. It was yummy overall! 🥢Their xiao long bak was also good. Flavorful broth, soft meat, chewy wrap, and it was the perfect size for one bite. Also ate this slightly cold already, so probably would have even be better if it was still hot. 🥢Fried rice & string beans were just mid 🥢Chicken soup was warm and it had maybe 3 chicken pieces in it. It was flavorful, but there seems to be something missing. The chicken pieces though were a bit pink in the inside still 🥢(not in photo) Dynasty Fried Chicken was also a favorite. It was crunchy, meat was tender, juicy, and had a good portion Also, actually dont know why they’d put a whole tub of alcohol in the middle of the table…amongst the food that you order…

A family favorite. My son loves their cheese xiao long bao and can eat a whole basket. I like their beijing pork with wrapper and my husband likes their spicy wonton dry noodle. The service in this branch is also exceptional.

I came here for dinner and got seated right away. We ordered the Xiao Long Bao, la mian with double boiled chicken, shredded pork in black bean sauce, minced spinach, and rice. The food was really tasty. The Xiao Long Bao was juicy and flavorful, and the la mian broth was comforting. The shredded pork was a bit too salty for my liking. Service felt a little slow and uncoordinated, especially compared to Din Tai Fung, where everything runs like clockwork. Still, it’s a solid spot with good value for the price.
Myles C — Google review
The food could have been tasty if it was served hot. Unfortunately, the vegetable spring roll was crispy on the outside but cold inside, and the soup broth wasn’t hot either. The most irritating part was the disorganized service. They served the soup, vegetable spring roll, and fried rice first, then made us wait 15-20 minutes for the main dish. What’s the point of serving fried rice so early if the dish it’s meant to pair with isn’t ready? We had to follow up three times, yet the main dish was still served last. The serving order was completely off: 1. Vegetable spring roll, soup, and fried rice 2. 5-10 minutes later – Xiao Long Bao 3. Another 5-10 minutes later – Noodles (which were lukewarm) 4. Another 5-10 minutes later – The main dish (after multiple follow-ups!) Why would a restaurant let fried rice sit on the table getting cold while the main dish is far from ready? Service was bad from the moment we arrived. Despite many available tables (none marked as reserved), they kept insisting we sit near the kitchen glass couch. Only after insisting were we allowed to take a nearby corner table for three, even though we were just two people. Now I understand the many negative reviews for this branch—I witnessed it myself. The worst!

Paradise Dynasty never disappoints in delivering in both taste and experience. My family and I had Sunday lunch during the weekend and enjoyed their selection dimsum, noodles, and an array of Szechuan dishes. Personal favorites would be the mapo tofu and the Szechuan style chicken. These two are not too spicy and can be eaten by young ones but the distinct flavor profile really comes through. Of course, their signature xiao long bao cannot be left one. It’s definitely an experience worth having but once you identify your preferred flavor, you can always get ahead and orders those specifically. I’m partial to black truffle and crab roe and would stuff myself with as many as I can.

Have been here on multiple occassions. The food is always amazing. This is definitely one of the best places for xiao long bao and Chinese food. Will always recommend this place to friends and family.

Restaurant
Nikkei Nama Bar in BGC is a Japanese-Peruvian restaurant that has successfully combined the flavors of both cultures. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its Japanese-Peruvian rice bowls, such as the popular Blackened Salmon Bowl. Guests can also enjoy happy hour specials at the outdoor seating area while indulging in the delicious fusion dishes. The ambiance is perfect for those looking to try something different or simply enjoy a great meal.
I can't thank Nikkei Nama Bar enough for helping me pull off a perfect surprise dinner treat for my friend! I planned everything from abroad and they executed it seamlessly. My friend couldn't stop raving about the food—especially the Gyudon Truffle, which she absolutely loved. The ambiance was fantastic, creating the perfect setting for a memorable evening. Their service was exceptional and I'm truly grateful for their help in making this surprise extra special. I can’t wait to visit their branch myself when I return to the Philippines. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and a wonderful dining experience!

Nikkei Nama at BGC one, is located on the upstairs terraces overlooking the High Street, and is a very atmospheric location. We love the outside seating in the evening, very nice feel. The cocktails are wonderful, refreshing and fairly generous. The food is consistently good, amongst the best sashimi in BGC, great sushi, and the rest of the menu doesn't disappoint. The only issue here is that the restaurant can quickly descend into chaos when it gets busy, it would appear to be fairly poorly managed, confusion amongst servers, seeing our orders come out then go back, getting wrong orders, getting charged for cocktails we didn't order. The failings are definitely with the management, and the chaos from a lack of coherent systems in place. Good food and drinks in a superb location but beware when its busy how quickly it all falls apart.
Simon G — Google review
First off, superb customer service! It doesn't get better than this. The only foods I liked was their pollo bowl and miso soup, the rest of the dishes were not seasoned well or didn't have flavor profiles that didn't resonate well with each other (soft shell maki bland, yakisoba low quality soba noodles and not chewy). As for their pollo teriyaki bowl, it was innovative. Home made teriyaki sauce with a mix of bell peppers that were cooked well, tomato, onion, seaweed, egg and grilled chicken and crisped shallots. Miso soup was also one of the best I had in terms of soup flavor and the balance of dashi and miso paste. Wasabi is not of very high quality too. Ambience loses points due to old counter metal, showing signs of black spots due to wear. An ok restaurant overall, but I feel like the 4.8 star rating is overrated. Tsukiji Makati is probably still the number 1 Japanese restaurant in NCR.
Jayke0312 — Google review
Tried Nikkei BGC and ordered their 5 salmon rolls — they were okay, good naman but nothing super special. Quite small rin, though I guess okay na for the price. I also got their tofu (tempura style) but it was just meh, oks lang. Honestly, I preferred my experience at their Podium branch since the rolls there were bigger and felt more worth it. That said, service here was great, the waiters were really attentive and accommodating. I then transferred outside and then it started raining, they immediately showed concern and checked on me. Loved their raspberry(?) iced tea, super refreshing! Ambiance was nice too.

we’ve been dining here at this branch once in awhile and by far it’s still the chillest, but quiet little nook at BGC. we ordered different sushis and sashimis best for us us Wagyu Nigiri, edamame and chipirones aka baby squid. our server Paula is super friendly, accommodating and is very maasikaso. Definitely going back! Thanks Nikkei BGC!!

I really like this place. Been here 6 times over past 7 months and always happy to return. Love sitting outdoor and enjoying view and really decent food. 101 Hawker Food House - Beacon Tower Branch is a hidden gem located in the neighborhoods of San Antonio and Legaspi in Makati City. The restaurant offers affordable and delicious Singaporean hawker-inspired dishes that are perfect for sharing with friends. Their menu includes a mix of Singaporean, Thai, Chinese, Indonesian, Malay, and Filipino dishes. Some must-try items include Hainanese Chicken and Beef Rendang, both serving 2-3 persons at very reasonable prices.
The food is very delicious as always. it's very it's very authentic. we ordered the nasty garden, there's lot of rice, it's very delicious. the chicken is very soft and newly fried the sauce for it. the garlic and the soy sauce combination is also very good. the service that the stuff are very friendly and the atmosphere is also fit. the the intention of the place and over all the pricing is very good. it gives good value for the price. there's no a wonder. there's a lot of people here, especially after work over all. we love it here

what we ordered: - Prawn Laksa - Nasi Goreng - Hakaw - Century Egg The Prawn Laksa was actually quite large and can be shared between two people if hindi kayo matakaw. Lots of noodles, 2 pcs shrimp, 2 pcs squid, 2 pcs fishball. Combining the Laksa and century egg was a good combination. Nakakabusog, it consisted of a small leg, wing, and thigh. The rice was good too. The chicken was crunchy however the meat itself was just ok.

We always visit this place, even pre-pandemic, since their food is always warm and place feels cozy. Serving is also good for sharing so you should visit them with your friends or family to try different dishes. Must try and sulit meals are their nasi goreng and thai beef with basil. All their staff are nice and accommodating din.

Good enough experience. There is nothing special about the place, not bad either. We ordered rendang and nasi goreng. The serving size was just about right. But definitely not if you are hungry. I got like 8 small pieces of beef. Maybe 6oz steak at most. Nothing looks particularly appealing, but the taste holds true. No deserts, no soda water. No selection of juices.. fairly limited all round. The atmosphere is zero irrespective of the decor. The service is nothing special.

Straight forward Singaporean inspired food. The prices are absolutely fair, the dishes are a bit hit and miss though. I tried so far: Braised Beef Noodle Soup (3*), Char Kway Teow (2*), Sweet and Sour Fish (4*), Lechon Kawali (5*), Roasted Chicken (5*), Beef with Broccoli (5*), Kung Pao Chicken (2*), Thai Beef with Basil (3*), Pork Asado (4*), Roasted Chicken Noodle Soup (3*), Beef Rendang (3*), Sambal Grilled Fish (4*), Black Pepper Beef (4*), Steamed Fish with Ginger (4*), Mee Goreng (3*), Braised Beef with Radish (4*) The pulled tea is disappointing. Service is fast and polite. Recommended!

Please take note this restaurant might require you to present your vaccination card and a government ID. This is in accordance with Makati City ordinance. Please observe proper hygiene and cleanliness. This was our 2nd time dining at 101 Hawker. (The 1st visit I forgot to take photos because we were too focused on eating!) The interiors/ambience of the place did remind me of those hawker stores in Singapore. Food is very good and very affordable (please see my photos for the menu). Served on time and in good temperature. We had Yang Chow, Lechon Kawali, Mixed Satay, Butter Chicken, Beef Noodles and Salt-Pepper Pork. The proportions/serving sizes are very satisfying. Though I would not recommend the Mixed Satay because it was too thin to be satay. Other than that, overall experience was excellent. I'll be coming back to this place, and I will update everyone. Update Sept 21, 2022: Been visiting 101 Hawker again with friends and colleagues. Prices have increased but that's understandable due to inflation. But service and food still very very good.

Ever since I dine in here (2018), and now 2023, the expectation is to eat the same quality but this surprised me even more! Tastier and promising menu like the Nasigoreng, Prawn Laksa, Hakaw and more! A must try dishes and you’ll never go wrong!
Annaliza R — Google review
I’d have to agree with some other reviews who say that the food is not the most delicious but it does suffer at being affordable. The portions are good too and it’s a decent place in that you’ll feel like you’ve eaten well enough. They have vegetarian options too.

Cafe
Kiss the Tiramisu has made a delightful entrance into the Philippines, bringing with it a taste of Korea's beloved dessert culture. This charming café specializes in transforming the classic tiramisu flavor into an array of ice cream options that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. With four unique variants—classic tiramisu, matcha tiramisu, injeolmi tiramisu, and Midas touch—you'll find yourself savoring high-quality ingredients with every scoop.
This famous Korean Dessert Café that took Korea by storm is quickly gaining its popularity in the Philippines. Thanks to Shirley Vy of Foodealogy Inc., the local franchisee of Kiss the Tiramisu, for bringing these delicious goodies to Makati City. I was invited for a foodie meet-up to try their items on the menu, including the new ones. With the help of Chef Kat Diploma, who is very passionate about her job, we were able to have enough knowledge about the products. We were informed that the spoons, as well as the gold-rimmed acrylic wine glass came all the way from Korea. Premium ingredients for their ice creams, cakes, etc are straight from Korea as well! So authentic! We started with Hot Matcha Latte (P180). A healthier choice if you need a gentle boost in a day. Matcha is a bit stronger here which I personally like. If you prefer sweet latte with a twist, Iced Caramel Cheese Cream Latte (P245) is a great choice. The taste is a combination of sweet, sour and salty. Perfect for an afternoon chill! We tried 3 out of 4 ice cream flavors of Kiss the Tiramisu. These are: 🍦Classic Tiramisu Ice Cream (P265) 🍦 Injeolmi Tiramisu Ice Cream (P265) 🍦 Midas Touch (P295) Mascarpone plays a big role in making their ice cream extra special. This premium ingredient makes the ice cream more creamy, milky and tasty! Classic Tiramisu is my favorite of all. This is really good! heavenly good!!!The taste is strong and sweet at the same time. The combination of mascarpone, crushed cookies, coffee liqueur, cocoa powder, soft serve and chocolate shavings is something to die for! I can't get over it! Delicious! If you prefer something that is not too sweet, Injeolmi Tiramisu is for you. It has Korean sweet rice cakes, drizzled with roasted soy bean sauce and dusted with roasted soy bean powder. The flavor is very light and unique. Midas touch is exclusively to the Philippines and the taste is somehow common to us. They made use of local ingredients like our classic favorites Ube and Leche Flan together with crushed Barquillos, drizzled with Ube sauce and finished with a 24K edible Gold Leaf! Eat like a royalty! This reminds me of our Halo-Halo in soft serve form. Yummm! A good choice too! Matcha Tiramisu Cake (P300) is rich, creamy and overall MATCHAraaap (delicious)! As it comes with a box, this cake is a perfect gift for your matcha-loving friends. They also served non-coffee drinks: 🥤Apple Mango Ade (P180) 🥤Green Grape Ade (P180) I personally loved Green Grape Ade because it is refreshing! While Apple Mango Ade is a mixture of sweet and sour. Here are the new items we tried: 🥢 Kimbap (P270) 🥢 Philly Roll (P270) 🥣 Pumpkin Soup (P150) 🥞 Tiramisu Pancake (P200) 🥞 Matcha Tiramisu Pancake (P200) 🍞 French Toast (P195) 🥛 Sikhye (P180) I will rank them based on what I find most appealing to least appealing. 1. Philly Roll or Philadelphia Roll. It has kani and some veges in it. The rice is sticky, which I personally love. Topped with cream cheese and tempura flakes, this dish is more appealing than Kimbap or Gimbap. I prefer this one than the other. Cheesy and delicious! 2. Tiramisu Pancake and Matcha Tiramisu Pancake. This is just the way I want my pancake to look and taste. I want it creamy, puffy and in layers! They served it with softserve and honey to make it extra delicious! 3. Sikhye is traditional sweet Korean rice beverage. I love how simple and straightforward it is. It has fiber. It's good for digestion. 4. Kimbap. It is a Korean sushi roll with a small piece of ham, egg, kani and some veges in it. They have standard size for this dish, which I find bigger than my prefer size for a sushi roll. The rice is not sticky and it has a light taste. 5. French Toast tasted good but this is not the way I want my french toast to be. 6. Pumpkin Soup. It's rich and tasty. Overall, it was a great experience to finally be able to try their products. I have to admit the price is a bit expensive but it's all worth it because you're paying for quality. It's definitely worth a revisit!

🌸Ice cream - it's okay for me but too ice cream is a bit sweet. But I love the surprise inside. Looking forward to try other desserts in their menu. 💮Staff/service - they are friendly and since I just really want to try their Matcha Tiramisu, the service was fast. 🌸Place - a place where you can get an escape from a bitter world. I really like the ambiance and place has a great interior. A bit small but spacious. 🌺 Recommend - 👍

Ice cream - hollow on the middle because they have to put the toppings on the middle. Midas is so so, it is ube/taro base; every once in awhile when I get a piece of the flan it taste better; The gold sheet's main purpose as decorative served its purpose. The tiramisu was better, every bite reminds me of the taste of the cake version.

An authentic tiramisu shop that is hard to find now a days and this one shop hits the TIRAMISU CRAVINGS on the spot. They magically transforms a regular vanilla ice cream into a mouth watering Tiramisu ice cream. Their Tiramisu cake is also superb. Place is cosy but small, there is no parking space. So walking is highly recommended. Coffee is just okay. Over all, if you crave for it this is the shop that will hit the right spot. As for the price, quality, quantity and taste its juat about right.

Kiss the Tiramisu is located at Valero Street (Access 4) in Makat City. Aside from a very strategic place, this resto also has good interior and fixtures. Though a bit small, the resto is stylish and the ambiance is very cozy. Menu-wise, I loved their selection of coffee and tiramisu here. I loved their ice cream.

The place is very cozy. They offer wifi and had a wide selection of ice cream and cakes. Their tiramisu is really good. Not too sweet and can be perfect as snack or dessert. You can also try their sundae as they offer gold covered sundae and it is really good.

It's an ok place, dainty and cold. I just got the ice creams, it was ok. Nothing really out of the ordinary. Presentation is nice got to admit. It's just way too expensive for an cream. I wish I got the Tiramisu cakes instead. It's not bad, trying it once is more than enough.

Italianni's Restaurant is a popular Italian restaurant in the Philippines, with a menu built on both American and Italian flavors. The food is delicious and the waiting time is not long, but the quality and presentation of dishes are excellent. Service from server Rex was excellent.
Love the food, service. Atmosphere is a little noisy but it’s a great place to for groups! We had a pasta, pork chop, fried squid. They also serve bread. It was so nice we requested for two! Love it lots will definitely come back!
Gina T — Google review
For the price, it's a decent place, but I don't understand how it received such high reviews, especially when the service is slow. It might be due to its proximity to the hotels, but I would avoid, except maybe for dessert. Don't let the all-day PHP 385 meal sway you, since there's the 12% VAT and 10% Service Charge Food: The pasta and the pizzetta were undercooked. You can also tell they don't make their pasta from scratch as they have boxes of Barilla right over the kitchen. I also found the meal to be quite salty and lacking in other flavors. Drinks: Despite their comprehensive wine menu, when we ordered a glass, the server only brought out two types of wines, saying that is all they had. Both were opened bottles and tasted mediocre, esepcially given the price. The dalandan drink was interesting but there's a weird aftertaste that may need to be assessed. Dessert: The one redeeming factor of this place is their Tropical Bliss cake, a mix of jackfruit and ube, was quite good. Although it was a bit dry, it was good at the end of the meal. Service: Beside the wine part, our server never checked on us during the meal. Thankfully the food came out fast, they weren't able to split the bill, but at least they accepted credit cards.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is good. However, I feel that the male servers’ interactions are somewhat robotic, and also their customer service skills when guests are leaving were lacking. (This applies to both the male and female managers.)

They have the best salad. It's always fresh and its dressing is light. Vongole pasta is OK. The best appetizers I have had - Calamari and Truffle chips! Superb. Don't forget dessert. Tartufo and tea/coffee is the best pairing to finish off your meal. Service is excellent. Grazie!

This lively hostel offers a unique blend of modern comfort with stylish rooms featuring customized bunk beds, personal electric sockets, and secure lockers. Whether you're part of an all-female crew or a mixed group, Z Hostel has dorm options that cater to your needs.
I had a fantastic stay at Z-Hostel in Manila! The entire experience was incredibly positive – the staff were super friendly, helpful, and always up for a good conversation. You feel genuinely welcomed from the moment you arrive. A special shout-out to Aaron, the bar manager, who made our time at the rooftop bar truly memorable. He’s not only professional and attentive but also creates a fun, relaxed atmosphere that brings people together. The bar events and overall management under Aaron’s lead are absolutely worth experiencing. The activities offered by the hostel are also great for meeting other travelers and exploring the city in a laid-back way. And of course – the view from the rooftop bar is simply breathtaking! Highly recommend this place whether you’re stopping by for a night or staying longer in Manila.

So far the hostel seems good, but one problem. After you book/pay, they tell you that you have to give a cash deposit, which would be ok but if you don’t have any cash with you, that’s a problem because they don’t take credit card and they don’t let you check in if you don’t pay. I offered a card and other currency money, but they wouldn’t take it. They asked for my ID and are keeping it at the moment, I complaint and they said I signed a small letter in the check in that I would let me ID if I don’t have cash. Anyways, I would have prefer to leave, also because the guy was rude at the end, but I stayed because I didn’t have elsewhere to go + they have my ID. Is it legal?

I stayed here at their dorm type room in a very competitive price. The room was basic with double deck beds and lockers for you to use but you need to bring your own padlock. Toilet was cleaned daily with heater and tissues. It is near to restaurants, supermarkets and night clubs. Most of the people who stays here are travellers and backpackers. They serve free breakfast/ cocktails at night and even videoke for socialization and to kill the boredom. :)

Pros : It's in the middle of the Makati area, accessible to bars, nightlife life etc. Along with accommodation, it has several options for guests. It has a dance floor on the ground floor and, karaoke bar on the terrace. Every evening, they conduct city walks for free. It has an in-house restaurant with good options. Morning breakfast is also good. It's a continental breakfast. There is an ATM inside the property, which is very convenient. Currency exchange is a little far. Cons : Sometimes the music will be loud. Especially on the weekends, it disturbed my sleep, and I was disappointed with that; otherwise, everything is good. There are no Indian restaurants nearby, I need to walk for 15 minutes every day to have lunch or dinner.

This place is like my 2nd home whenever I come to manila. I have stayed at their dorm and private rooms and both are pretty neat. They serve varieties of breakfast and it’s always good! Many spots to hang out to, their cafe, gaming room, roof and sundeck with bar and fun activities like beer pong and ktv so if you ever get bored in your room, you’ll have places to go within the building. Really nice staff and volunteers btw especially the bar staff, Kyah Miguel and Jonard always get my drink right and they pay attention to my orders so I never have to wait that long so shout out to them! 😉

Exactly what I expected for a one night stay. Clean rooms, friendly staff and tasty breakfast. Keep in mind it is a bit of a party hostel, so DJ music on roof goes pretty late sometimes until 3am.

Great place to stay one night. It's my third time in the philippines but my first hostel I've stayed in here in manila I belive. For what I paif, im plesently surprised. The only real problem was the outlet in the room being loose and not working properly, smaller than expected room, the locstion being a little risky and the slightly outdsted bathroom. However, the locstion was also good, as there were plenty of food options snd close to everything. Just watch your belongings type thing. Room wss quiet and had ac. Loved the rooftop bar, included breakfast, walking tour and karaoke. Even though I preferred a private room, I realize I didnt make a bad choice on a nonrefundable accommodation. As a 24 yo solo male traveler from thr us, I would recommend staying here if looking for a good hostel.

Filipino restaurant
Family restaurant
Pat-Pat's Kansi is a humble eatery in Ilo-Ilo that offers a delightful bowl of Kansi, the local version of bulalo. This dish features beef shank soup made sour with batwan fruit. You can savor their Kansi Bulalo to relish the marrow or opt for the meaty Kansi Laman. It's like a fusion of bulalo and sinigang, soured by batwan instead of sampalok.
This restaurant is already an institution here at San Antonio Village in Makati. Located along Sampaloc St, it has moved from its original location which the owners, Taboy and Richie Servando, rented to the bigger and better location next door which they now own. The restaurant is named after their daughter Patricia who also manages the original Pat-Pat's Kansi in their hometown of Iloilo. Food - 5*, can't go wrong with their Kansi. I normally order the laman version but this time I went for the Bulalo boneless with bone marrow integrated to the flavorful broth. Kansi is like Sinigang but instead of Sampalok or Kamias, Negrenses or people from Iloilo use batwan as the souring agent resulting to a different taste profile altogether introducing a little sweet and fruity taste. Their Inasals are also top-notch and we tried both Pecho and Paa cuts. We also had well-done Atay and Balun-balunan which was not rubbery and a delight to pair with the suka, Toyo, and sili sauce. Service - 5*, servers are always attentive and aim to please. Atmosphere - 4*, predominantly white, clean looking, larger than before and fully air-conditioned Parking - 3*, good for at most 3 vehicles, street parking is not allowed

I find their food overpriced, especially given how underwhelming their "specialties" taste. Service is disappointing, the staff seem more interested in chatting with each other than attending to customers. For the same price, you’ll find far better food, service, and ambience elsewhere.

We loved it here! The milk fish, bone marrow, everything was so delicious and authentic. I love their vinegar sauce too. Our marrow surprisingly didn't have much inside but they made sure we got some marrow after we showed them. Super sweet of them, good service and nice and clean space - Can't wait to be back.

Went for bulalo, also had Kansi Laman & Petcho. Atmosphere was so-so bcuz it's so noisy. Sounds echo throughout, there's no sound dampening. As more people come in, the worse it becomes (place is very popular), you cannot even hear yourself talk. Food was uninspiring - we asked for medium bulalo, but were told only large was available (!?!?!). So got the large and were told it would have been enough for 4 people....no not really. It was a large end of tibia, but the amount of marrow was quite minimal. Only enough meat and tendon for maybe 2 moderately hungry people. Soup was rich and tasty, altho somewhat salty. The Kansi Laman was a small bowl of same broth with a few small pieces of meat and fat, definitely NOT worth the money or effort. Since they had no Isol (Manok), we got Petcho - another waste, dry, pre-cooked. Good crunch on skin and taste was okay, but shudda waited and ordered it later to get fleshly Grilled one. I also ordered medium bulalo for take home and it was available AND bigger than the large we had for dine-in!

The kansi’s bone was way too big and barely had any meat. The soup tasted decent though. We were 2 people so we still got hungry and ordered the sizzling kansi. It was slightly better than the kansi, but again not a lot of meat. They do offer some parking in front of the restaurant but limited. The restaurant is just simple, no aircon. I saw they do have chicken inasal, interested to try it next time.

Patpat’s Kansi never disappoints. The kansi is full of flavor, comfort, and that perfect balance of sweet and savory. Tastes just like home!

We came here on a Friday night. Understandably, the place was busy—but the moment we sat down, the server was already hovering and asking us to order, not even five minutes in. I know the menu’s short, but still, give people a chance to look through it. We got the large kansi, which they say is good for two people. Honestly, it barely fed two of us. It was just for one. The amount of meat was disappointing. If you’ve seen the other reviews complaining about the small portions—they’re not exaggerating. As for the taste, it was fine. Nothing bad, just nothing special. The meat wasn’t particularly tender or flavorful. For the price, definitely not worth it. This branch, at least, has gone downhill. Not sure how the other ones are doing, but if it’s the same kind of service and the same stingy servings, then you’re not missing anything.

If you are looking for some Filipino comfort food then this is the place. They always serve their signature Kansi dish hot which is so soothing after a stressful day. By the way, they already moved just beside their old location. The place is smaller but is clean and has air conditioning. Parking however is still limited.
