Station 400 is a charming breakfast and lunch spot located in a restored train depot dating back to 1852. The downtown Sarasota location offers a serene patio with ample shade, making it an ideal place to enjoy a meal. The menu features delectable items such as the Station 400 omelet with poached lobster and truffle hollandaise, as well as Brians lump crab cake sandwich.
Great service, I liked the orange juice served in a wine glass and the Belgian waffle was delicious with the vanilla maple butter and syrup. Nice outdoor seating area with plenty of space, though some of the tables were in the sun a bit.

My wife and I recently dined at Station 400 for breakfast, drawn in by its downtown location and the positive buzz surrounding it. As part of NXTGEN Marketing Group, which has been in business since 2011 and has a former partnership with the Food Network, we pride ourselves on providing accurate and honest reviews that reach a very large audience—over 150,000 views a week, placing us in the top 10% on Google. While the atmosphere at Station 400 was inviting, and our waitress was wonderful—attentive and friendly—our food experience fell short of expectations. I ordered pancakes that were unfortunately dense and heavy, with an overwhelming flour taste that detracted from the enjoyment. My wife’s eggs were overcooked, lacking the light and fluffy texture we anticipated. On a positive note, the coffee was fantastic—rich and flavorful, and definitely a highlight of our meal. We understand that every restaurant can have an off day, and we sincerely hope that our experience is not reflective of the usual standard at Station 400. With a menu that likely offers many great options, we encourage others to give it a try. Our visit was just an unfortunate case, and we're hopeful that future diners will have a better experience. We may consider returning in the future to explore more of what they have to offer.

We enjoyed a Sunday brunch here with my family of 4 and grandpa. We ordered cappuccinos with almond milk (great coffee), orange juice for my kiddos and avocado toast w/hash browns (the guacamole wasn't the best), truffle eggs Benedict (really good dish) and bacon salted pancakes (portion of 3 was great for my youngest and couldn't finish it). We waited around 15 minutes to be seated (it was crowded), and then the service was a bit slow but our server was friendly and diligent (she had many tables to serve). The place is cozy and lively. We paid $100 (1 coffee, 1 orange juice, 3 cappuccinos, and 5 dishes) We'll definitely come back if we're around again.

Loved the train vibe in here! Our waitress was super nice & made us her favorite off the menu coffee which was delicious. We came for brunch with a group of 7 and were able to be seated right away. We shared the French toast bites to start & they were delicious. They have a wide variety of breakfast & lunch options. The waffle sausage comes with two & gave a sausage pancake on a stick vibe - in the best way. It was great. The hash browns were also nice & crispy! Everyone enjoyed, which is a win with a large group!

Traditional breakfast place with a cool interior. I was a little sad to see some of the items were no longer on the menu, but I got the avocado toast and it was tasty. I think I was given decaf coffee instead of regular bc even after two cups I didn’t feel anything. Still, it was a neat experience and a cool place to visit.

If you're looking for delicious food and outstanding service, this is the place. John was our wait staffer, and he did an excellent job. Thank you

I like this place, especially for Breakfast. I’ve been here a number of times the consistency of food is very good. The atmosphere is great and here’s the meal I had.
Vince S — Google review
Great brunch spot with lots of mimosa flavor options, breakfast food is exceptional. We ordered the Crabby Patty (crab cake breakfast with sauteed spinach) and the Steak & Eggs. For breakfast food especially, it was very flavorful with savory sauces. The atmosphere was nice, it was crowded but no wait time for indoor seating. Even the toast was nice- I got the cinnamon raisin with strawberry jam. Great quality breakfast food at low cost!

First Watch is a popular chain of cafes known for its health-conscious breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. It's a favorite among locals and visitors alike, offering classic breakfast foods and bottomless coffee. With locations across the country, including one in downtown Sarasota, First Watch serves up traditional and innovative dishes freshly prepared to order. The restaurant's headquarters are located in Bradenton, Florida, just north of Sarasota.
This is the BEST First Watch location I've ever been to! I mean, they're all great...but I've seen staff here work together like none other. Selena Richard and Steve are absolutely amazing!!!! They managed to do every job simultaneously and keep everyone happy ❤️🔥💯 The food is always on point and I'm excited to see what fresh juices they have available. What a great location 🥰🏖️ My phone died or I would have had pictures of my beautiful breakfast. Rustic frittata and the morning meditation juice 🔥🔥🔥 Props to absolutely everyone working there! Management knows what they're doing 😎😁

Absolutely love this place! First Watch never disappoints. The service is always top-notch—friendly, fast, and super attentive. The location is also a total vibe—bright, clean, and in a great spot. Whether you’re grabbing brunch with friends or just stopping in for a quick bite, this spot delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Great First Watch location! Our server Audrey was friendly and attentive. Our meals were so flavorful and fresh. Restaurant is clean and staff members are quick to greet you!

Got breakfast here on a weekday morning. All the breakfast food was good, but the breakfast potatoes were a little too salty for my taste. The service was friendly and the restaurant has a good atmosphere, not too loud.

Found this place on Google. We’re not from around here so it was our first time visiting. Very cute breakfast place. Loved the look of it. The food was even better than expected. I’d definitely recommend. Would love to come back !

I am not sure what else I can say about the Trifecta… I could have kicked the plate. Yes, I was hungry; but the truth is, the eggs were scrambled perfectly, the waffle was crisp, the bacon… 🥓. Well, it was great. The dish comes with a berry compote. What a fantastic combination and great start to the day. I come here regularly because they are consistent with food quality and cleanliness.

This is a beautifully placed First watch in the Sarasota downtown area, surrounded by beautiful nature, buildings and places of interest. We got together to celebrate my baby's 40th b'day. The food was delicious, our server Elyse was outstanding. She was willing to please and accommodate some difficult request from some members of our party. She did all the changes requested, with a smile and great attitude. Kudos to the kitchen staff as well. They did an amazing job at pleasing everyone. I highly recommend this place.

Breakfast restaurant
The Breakfast House is a charming restaurant located in a small house in Gillespie Park, offering a cozy setting for American breakfast and lunch. The outdoor dining area at the back provides shelter with drapes and trellises, creating an incredible dining experience. The menu features island cakes, sandwiches like Monte Cristo and Designers Delight, as well as cherry cashew chicken salad.
This was a very pleasant experience all around. We had a 15 minute wait, but I had a chat with a lovely woman taking the reservations. We were seated in a beautiful corner under an umbrella. Ashley was our server and she was a delight. The menu is so extensive it is hard to choose. And the prices are extremely good at about $15 per entrée. I had the big hash breakfast, which was corn, beef, hash, eggs, pancakes, potatoes, and grits. Coffee was extra. I am a coffee snob so I don’t really care for the coffee, but it is typical diner type coffee. The bill came to $133 which included a tip they added on automatically. Please note that when you get the stuff to pay, there is an additional section to add tip. If you do then you end up paying twice for a tip, but I highly recommend this place

The Breakfast House was a great way to end our vacation. Real country home setting, warm greetings at the door, adequate seating, and the food was amazing. Shrimp and grits and uncle Harry’s breakfast were our choices, everything was good. And the fact everyone had a smile on their face showed me it wasn’t just us. Great place to enjoy a good meal and get away from the big copy and paste chains. Will definitely be back.
Antonio S — Google review
We ordered uncle Harry's breakfast and a Mediterranean omelet. Breakfast was perfect! Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The portion sizes were just right. Our waitress was on top of filling our drinks and took very good care of us.
Violette N — Google review
The quirky, kitschy atmosphere is packed with personality—plastic flamingos roosting on planter displays, colorful stained-glass fish hanging from the fence, and seashells crunching underfoot. Tiki umbrellas scattered around the outdoor dining area gives it a tropical, Trader Joe’s–meets–beach-shack feel, with 80s hits and country tunes playing overhead. The small yellow house holds a few indoor seats, but we opted for the breezy patio, where fans kept the air moving. We went with the blueberry pancakes instead of the island version (filled with coconut and roasted pineapple) since blueberries are in season. They were good, forgettable—about a 3.5 out of 5. They don’t serve lattes, so I had black tea with milk, which was a bit of a let down for me personally. My husband had coffee, and they were generous with refills, which was a nice touch. For his meal, he ordered an egg sandwich on a croissant with cheddar cheese (vegetarian-friendly). Nothing remarkable, but it was warm, quick, and again about a 3.5 out of 5. Service was super efficient but a bit brusque BUT understandable since the server was clearly juggling a lot. Free parking is just steps from the entrance. For $35.50 for our meal without tip., not too expensive. Overall, come here if you want quick, easy, kid-friendly, and predictable fare in a fun, beachy setting.
Holly K — Google review
I’ve been coming to The Breakfast House for years, and it’s always had that classic Old Florida charm that makes it such a gem in Sarasota. The servers are consistently kind and welcoming, and the cozy, tropical vibe makes it a fun spot for both locals and tourists looking for that “Florida feel.” Personally, I think the food quality has declined a bit over the years, which is the only reason it’s not a full five stars for me. Still, it’s a great place with great vibes and worth a visit for sure!
Alexis S — Google review
Super cute atmosphere and delicious food. I love the variety of creative meal selections, always fun to try something new. I liked my French toast a lot and the lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes.
Faith B — Google review
I came here for the first time today and it might be the best brunch I’ve had in Sarasota! The atmosphere was spectacular, the staff were so nice, and the food was just incredible. We had the lemon blueberry pancakes and they were the best pancakes I’ve ever had by far. We also had the caprese eggs Benedict’s and it was delicious! Will definitely be back!
Briana K — Google review
This was our first time here and it was out of this world!!! This was the best breakfast we ever had in a long time! My wife had the blueberry lavender pancakes and I had the Uncle Harry's breakfast w/ chocolate chip pancakes. Ashley was our waitress and she was 100%!! She was great and was very patient with us since it was our first time here! Her recommendations was on point! We visit Sarasota/ Anna Maria Island every year for our vacation.. We wish we had found this place sooner!! We definitely will be back!! Thank you Ashley!!!

C'est La Vie - Pastries Breakfast & Dinner is a French cafe and bakery offering a wide range of breakfast and lunch options, from croissants to crepes. The cafe provides both indoor and outdoor seating, giving customers the feeling of being in a traditional French setting.
A great find downtown! We stopped in during a busy time, Sunday after church for breakfast. The outside was packed they had lots of tables with umbrellas. We opted for the cooler indoor seating. They have an impressive pastry counter when you come inside. Overall the inside gives a more squished NYC feel but the food, pastries, and our waitress were all great. From the baguette sandwich, croissant sandwich, quiche & omelette, everyone at our table left happy!
Victoria D — Google review
My Honest Review of C'est La Vie I absolutely love French bakery-style coffee shops, and this cozy spot with its authentic French touch was perfect for a relaxed brunch. My go-to dish at places like this is always the *Croque Monsieur*, and I have to say—it was delicious! The flavor was spot on, the cheese perfectly melted, and the sandwich was neither too dry nor soggy. The potatoes on the side were a great complement—not greasy at all, with a nicely balanced flavor. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just how I like them. The cappuccino was exactly how I prefer it—bold and strong, with that rich European touch. The overall vibe feels very European and warm, and you can tell it’s a family-owned place, which makes it even more special. I’ll definitely be coming back! 🥐☕🇫🇷
Ivonne T — Google review
Beautiful place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They have a bakery where you can just get sweets for your sweet tooth. Food is amazing and well prepared. They provide complimentary baguette while you wait for your food. Espresso and other beverages are done well. Service is fast and friendly. Beautiful place to come and relax with friends and/or family and enjoy great food!!!

The food here c'est bon! It is good! Love the pastries and their wide selection of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Service is quick and staff are professional. I've eaten both inside and outside on the patio area. Both times were all pleasant for me. Definitely indulge in their pastries if you go.

We were trying to find the restaurant monkey waffles and stopped a couple walking down the road and ask him if they knew where it was. They recommend it c'est la vie restaurant that they frequent often. They were out for their daily walk and suggested to follow the road to main Street and will basically be able to park right there on the street. We parked a short distance away from c'est la vie restaurant. They had tables out front that people were seating outside such as they have in Europe cafes. As we walked inside we were greeted by the employees and owner and facing the pastry display case in front of us. Everything look delicious and of course we took some French pastries home. But we ate breakfast outside at one of the tables. I had the half Bayonne sandwich and house salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. My wife had a sweet crepe banana, Nutella, strawberries and whipped cream. The food was fresh and extra ordinary, the atmosphere inside and out of the restaurant bakery was reminiscent of a good European Cafe and service was excellent. Highly recommend stopping by for breakfast, Danish we're going fast so I recommend getting there early. Parking was on the streets and you have to pay to park.
Dan K — Google review
Delicious breakfast! The omelette was fresh and flavorful, with complimentary bread and amazing bakery treats. Loved the charming outdoor seating.

This is an amazing company. Their food is very healthy & their bread is made from flour that is from Europe, which is easier on our stomachs then the flour we have here in America

Green Zebra Cafe is a unique restaurant that caters to the wellness crowd with its vegan-friendly breakfast and lunch options. The menu features fresh juices, raw dishes, and an extensive brunch and lunch selection. Whether you're a meat-lover or a vegan, there are plenty of options for everyone, including gluten-free choices. Dine inside or outside at the Main Street downtown location, which offers a charming atmosphere with beautiful trees lining the street. Alternatively, visit the St.
We had such a wonderful experience at Green Zebra Café! It’s rare to find a restaurant that truly caters to different dietary needs without compromising on quality or taste, but this place delivered on every level. I was thrilled with all the raw vegan options, everything was fresh, colorful, and full of flavor. I’ll be posting some photos because the presentation was just as impressive as the taste! My father-in-law and kids aren’t vegan, so it was great that they had a wide variety of non-vegan options too. Everyone at our table loved their meals, which is no small thing when you’re dining with a group that has very different tastes and preferences. It’s the kind of place where you don’t have to settle or feel like you’re giving something up, everyone can find something they enjoy. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, with friendly service and a bright, open space that felt relaxing from the moment we walked in. One thing I deeply appreciated is that, unlike some healthy or trendy restaurants, there were no political messages, slogans, or agendas being pushed. Just good food, good energy, and a break from the constant noise and division of the outside world. It felt like a place where everyone is welcome, no pressure, no preaching, just a peaceful space to enjoy a great meal with people you love. That kind of environment is so refreshing and honestly rare these days. We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in Sarasota. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a spot that values both health and hospitality.

I enjoyed the Shashuksa. It has nice tangy sauce i could have used another slice of bread though. The wife had apple pancakes and was disappointed. The coffee was average. Our server Andre did a good job.

This place is one of my favorite places! Penelope is the best! Her recommendations were spot on! I got the Waygu beef burger and it was one of the place I’ve ever had. They have gluten and dairy free! Great cocktails too! I come for brunch and love their avocado toast too!
R. W — Google review
We found free parking just around the corner. The neighborhood felt calm, quiet, and distinctly upscale. The dinner menu features four salads, each priced between $17 and $19, with optional add-ons: fish for $11, avocado for $4, or grilled chicken for $6. Entrées range from a vegan beetroot risotto to a wagyu burger, priced between $19 and $28. I ordered the Baja burrito—filled with avocado, red cabbage, carrot, cashew cheese, and wrapped in a massaged collard green burrito. It was tasty, but it’s definitely a dish best appreciated by vegans who truly enjoy collard greens. My husband chose the goat cheese salad, a mix of organic greens, goat cheese mousse, pickled shallots, candied pecans, preserved grapes, house-made crackers, mustard pearls, and maple vinaigrette, also $18. The goat cheese was extremely creamy and paired beautifully with the light, airy toasted pieces served alongside. It made for the perfect light entrée. For dessert, he had the pumpkin chia pudding—creamy, lightly spiced, and satisfying without being heavy—so we ended the night feeling perfectly content, not overly full. There was a gentleman playing the saxophone just outside the door, a bit hard to carry on a conversation at times but very adorable when he played happy birthday for a little boy who clapped for joy. Very heartwarming moment. Go and enjoy a very healthy dinner.

First off, being greeted by the finest white chocolate was a great start for me. He sat us at the bar. A lot of things on the menu were new to me but he assured me that everything was delicious. I ordered the Barramundi fish tacos. Amazing! Wish I could’ve stayed & ate just so I could stare at the handsome man who was hosting us and somehow also making my Mojito but we had a boat to catch. Can’t wait to visit Sarasota again!

**Green Zebra Cafe Review** Green Zebra Cafe offers a refreshing dining experience where vegan dishes take center stage, yet carnivores are not left out. The service is absolutely wonderful, making every visit pleasant and enjoyable. One standout dish is their raw vegan lasagna—it's filling and boasts an amazing combination of flavors that is truly remarkable, especially considering it’s raw! And the key lime pie… fabulous. For those who are health-conscious or fans of the Medical Medium diet, this place is a haven. It's rare to find a restaurant where you can dine out and still adhere to such specific dietary guidelines. While the vegan options shine, the carnivore-friendly dishes don't disappoint either. I heard great things about the fish tacos and the burger, both of which received high praise for their taste. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it perfect for any occasion. Whether you choose to dine in or take out, the menu offers a great variety of delicious options. Overall, Green Zebra Cafe is a to-die-for spot for vegans and non-vegans alike. Highly recommended!

Great place, food is delicious 🤤 gluten free & vegan. Every time we are in Sarasota that’s our HAPPY 😃 PLACE. Our servers Andrey and Matt were great explaining the menu and advise us options. This was the weekend of Saturday May 3rd - Monday May 5th, 2025.

Great menu! Delicious food! exquisite service! I have a couple dietary restrictions - the waitress communicated with the cook and with me - they accommodated my needs beautifully and the menu option was delicious! My husband was beyond delighted with his meal! We enjoyed some of the different types of menu items: a raw food tiramisu - amazing!!, vegan collard wrap - tasty! , and fish with roasted vegetables dish that my husband reported was unbelievable! We were entertained by the live entertainment- enchanting saxophone. We chose the outdoor seating on the beautiful night ( great people watching amd windows on Main street).

MADE Restaurant is a vibrant spot in downtown Sarasota that offers locally sourced American comfort food in a colorful and spacious setting, complete with a generous patio. The restaurant boasts an inventive rotating drink menu designed by local cocktail expert Spencer Taliaferro, featuring creative concoctions like the margarita umami served over a mescal, mango, mint and sea salt-infused ice pop.
New favorite restaurant in Sarasota! Ordered the fried green tomatoes appetizer, salmon entree, and brunch burger. Everything was prepared and seasoned to absolute perfection! Best of each item we’ve had anywhere, hands down. Everyone was so friendly. The service by Danny was stellar. He was so attentive with a personality that made our meal even more enjoyable! Even the bill comes in a clever way. This restaurant is a must try and try again!!

After attending a wedding across the street at the courthouse, this place was a perfect stop to refuel and recharge. Our server, Michelle, seated us immediately, was super sweet, and extra accommodating. The coffee arrived almost immediately and was greatly appreciated! We tried a couple of their starters. The bread service was great; and their fried tomatoes were crunchy, well seasoned, and one of our favorites. We had several entrees as well. The double fried chicken was fantastic, and the greens that arrived on the side were so well made. Their chicken and french toast was very tasty as well. The short rib was delicious, and the risotto that it came with would be amazing on its own. I would recommend this place to anyone. They have a very easy going atmosphere, the service is amazing, and the food was some of the best I’ve had in Sarasota.

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful dinner at Made. The service was great and the food was so good. We started with the cornbread appetizer. The cornbread was light and fluffy with a great flavor. Our meals varied from the taco salad to the ribeye special of the day. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be going back.

I saw their great reviews and made reservations for dinner. We went to the bar first to have a drink and look the menu over. We had already seen items earlier in the day when we looked online but we wanted to make sure nothing was added that was chamge our minds. We noticed some of the apps we were planning on getting were no longer on the menu. We really wanted the egg rolls and when we asked about them, we were told that they were on the Sunday game menu and that they may be coming back to the regular menu in the near future. I asked since the next day was Sunday if we could have them and he laughed and said no. So......we looked the menu over some more. We ended up having 4 drinks (only 2 being specialty cocktails) and we left there paying over $60 for them. Mine was really good... The passion express.... I'm not going to lie.....but, that was a lot. The place is huge inside and there is some outdoor seating also. It just wasn't for us...... we ended up eating elsewhere.

We were looking for a place for Sunday brunch and came across Made. I made a reservation for 1:30. While on the way Google pointed out that they close at 2:00 p.m.. so I called and explained that we had a 1:30 reservation and didn't want to be rushed. The young lady on the phone explained that that's actually their last seating for brunch and that the kitchen doesn't close until a little after 2:00. When we arrived the restaurant was busy but not packed. When looking at the menu they had a lot of different great options but I requested a modification to my dish. Everything came out perfect and we were extremely delighted. Afterwards we asked where nearby could we grab a drink and our server recommended a place right around the corner. While there a gentleman came up and introduced himself as the chef owner of Made. He asked how the food was and he knew exactly what we ordered and asked me how it was with the modifications I made. It was nice to connect with the person who scratch made everything. He asked us what other types of dishes we enjoyed and invited us to come back again for another service. I look forward to trying out other dishes there next time

Wow! 2 thumbs up here! 👍 👍 Enjoyed a fabulous Sunday Brunch. Got lucky and was able to be seated at a high top without having reservations. Bloody Mary's were fantastic. Garnished with a delicious sugar cured bacon strip. I had a grilled tomoato and sour cream avocado eggs benedict with bernaise that was out of this world. My fiancé had the Migas chorizo, which he loved. They offer avery interesting menu. Restaurant is much bigger than it looks from the outside. Staff was very friendly and our waiter Bill was great! The bartender even came over to check on us and made us feel very welcome, seeing as it was our first time there. I feel bad, but I can't remember her unique name. They also had outdoor seating available. I highly recommend Made. We will definitely be back!

Delicious brunch! My husband and I split the French toast and the breakfast tots; both so delicious. We are so excited to come back on our next trip to Siesta Key; reservation already made because it does get busy!

Wow. This is one of the best American food restaurants that I have been to in a long time! To start, the waitress (her name was Meech on our receipt) was great! She provided great suggestions and made recommendations I probably wouldn't normally pick. For a drink, if you want to be adventurous, I recommend the "Plum at Me, Bro". The ingredients in it sound weird, but tastes great! For an entree, the Lamb Chops and Pork Belly were delicious. Highly recommend this place and will definitely go back.

The Breakfast Company is a popular local spot known for its lively ambiance and delicious breakfast options. Their menu boasts a variety of signature skillet bowls, classic favorites like omelets, scrambles, and French toast, all made with fresh ingredients. They also offer gluten-free choices to cater to different dietary needs. Visitors have praised the friendly staff and excellent service, as well as the mouthwatering dishes such as bacon and pancakes.
I recently visited The Breakfast Company and overall had a good experience. I ordered a breakfast plate that came with scrambled eggs, a sausage link, bacon, another type of sausage, and pancakes. The plate was hearty and well presented, but the pancakes were a bit of a letdown — I was expecting something a little more flavorful or fluffy. Next time, I think I’d go with a different option, maybe an omelet or one of their toasts, just to try something new. On the bright side, I really enjoyed the coffee. I ordered a cappuccino, and while it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, it was definitely quite good and satisfying. Overall, it’s a nice spot with a solid breakfast menu — I’d come back, but I’d switch up my order next time.

I chose Breakfast Company because it's pet-friendly, and we were celebrating both my sister’s and dad’s birthdays. We had a great time! Victor, our server, was incredibly kind and attentive. It was our first time there, and he took the time to explain the menu and recommend a few dishes. He even surprised the birthday guests with a special dessert, which made the experience extra memorable. Another lovely staff member also brought out water with ice for my dog Perlita—she greeted her so sweetly and made sure she felt welcome too. That kind of attention really stood out! We tried the biscuits, bowls, a panini-style sandwich, and I ordered a macchiato-style coffee—everything was tasty. The place has a nice buzz to it, with good energy and movement. Overall, it was a really good experience, and we’d definitely go back!

I chose this spot after seeing the mouth-watering photos online 😋, and it did not disappoint! The food tasted even better than it looked—which I didn’t think was possible. The mimosa 🥂 was perfectly refreshing, and the service from our waitress, Kirsten, was absolutely AMAZING. 🤩 Manager April and Kirsten surprised me with treats to celebrate my birthday, which made the experience even more special. The team went above and beyond, and the restaurant exceeded my expectations from start to finish. ☺️ This place is a true breakfast gem, and I’ll definitely be back on my next visit to Sarasota. Highly recommend to both locals and visitors—you won’t regret it! 👍🏾

I got the special which was a chicken biscuit over egg with honey Sriracha on top and coffee. The sandwich was huge for the price, biscuit and sandwich was delicious, should be an add-on to the regular menu. Coffee was very good too-nice large cup! Stop is all very friendly food came out quick, and atmosphere very nice. Only thing I would say is it was a little dark in there they should turn the lights up some since there's not a lot of natural light coming in in the back.

Got the short rib Benedict. Decided to spoil myself after the gym. The meat was tender, egg perfectly poached. And I also enjoyed the side arugula salad. Food came out quickly even though they were busy.

Great spot for breakfast or brunch! Bronx Bagel was amazing—fresh and flavorful. The SG Potatoes are an absolute must, perfectly seasoned and cook3d just right. The Sweet Potato Pancakes were exceptional, and the Liege Waffles were fantastic—sweet, warm, and indulgent. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere round out a great experience. Highly recommend! Hospitality goes such a long way here!!! Food was also delicious, not even 10 minutes after ordering, the food was already on our table. What I love best about this place is the patio outside. Sitting between the plants and flowers provides such a tranquil scene. Lots of options on the menus and the sourdough is especially good here.

Cute spot, solid food! It was a good spot to catch up with friends - lively but not too loud for conversation. The food was good and portions perfect. We came on a Sunday at brunch so it seemed very busy but we only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table for 4 luckily.

We decided to stop by for breakfast on a weekday morning. The food is fantastic! We went for Eggs Benedict and an Omelette - we would definitely consider them again. The service was great! We loved sitting outside and taking in the fresh air while savoring the meal. We would certainly consider coming here again.

Found the place by walking and have to say that the reviews are all accurate, food is fantastic same as the service. We came for breakfast yesterday and decided to come back again today to try other dishes from the menu. The French toasts are a must! And the Mediterranean Revival eggs so good! Defiantly recommend this place!

I rarely give an "all out" review but I can see why this place is top of the list for breakfast here in Siesta Key. The menu isn't too big, and the food comes out quickly. The ingredients in/on my "Bikini Bagel" were fresh and well-balanced. Which I greatly appreciated. The avocado on my dish was cut fresh —for my dish. The fig was for sure my favorite —thickly sliced and placed atop the avocado. I was all for it. We're on a quick pass through on our way to Fort Myers, so we needed something quick. What a treat! Totally unexpected to find such good eats. The price is fair for the portions and the vibe outside is a must.

Waffles are so goood. I can’t even describe how delicious they are, and those mango pieces are making the dish even tastier. We took two sandwiches Ruban and Cuban, both were great. Highly recommend to take 3 beans and mango as a side.

Toasted Mango recently mov3d to this new location, a few blocks from the previous location. Still offering their great food! We came on a weekday morning, and it was surprisingly somewhat empty. Service was great, and we had our food almost immediately. Be prepared for busier times on the weekends. Great location and fun spaces to hang out at outside the restaurant while you wait in your table..

I loved Toasted Mango at its old location but a friend I was meeting for lunch had a very difficult time finding the new location. I don’t blame that on the restaurant but maybe google maps or ways? The lunch I chose was mediocre but my friend really enjoyed his. I will go back and would recommend it to other people. It’s tough changing locations and opening “new” again.
Sarah C — Google review
This was our first time at their new location, and while the building is new and nice, it took a server over 10 minutes to come and take our order. The restaurant wasn’t very busy either. I ordered the Florentine Benedict and the eggs were poached hard and there were maybe eight potatoes on the plate as my side of home fries. Not nearly enough for the price point. Someone else at our table got the waffle, which was cold and mediocre at best. Only once were we checked on by a server and that was to drop our check. Very disappointing.

Boca Restaurant, Sarasota: An Unforgettable Dining Experience! My recent dinner at Boca Restaurant in Sarasota was truly exceptional, largely thanks to our incredible server, Roberto, and the delicious food. From the moment we sat down, Roberto made the entire dining experience great. He was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and had a wonderful, engaging personality. He offered excellent recommendations, checked on us at just the right moments, and truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable evening. His professionalism and warmth elevated the meal from good to outstanding. As for the food, it was very good! Each dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The skirt steak we ordered (shown in the photo) was absolutely outstanding. It was cooked to perfection, exactly as we requested — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The side dishes were also very well prepared and complemented the main dish perfectly. What really stood out, apart from the quality of the food, was the service. Our waitress was extremely attentive throughout the entire evening, always checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. On top of that, the manager personally came by to ask if everything was to our liking, which added a very professional and welcoming touch to the whole experience. The rest of the food we tried was also excellent, and the restaurant itself has a perfect location right in the city center. You can easily walk there from many nearby hotels, and if you prefer to drive, there is plenty of parking available, which makes it very convenient. Overall, a fantastic dining experience — great food, wonderful service, and a location that couldn’t be better. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a place where both the quality of the dishes and the hospitality truly stand out.

Smaller breakfast restaurant with about 10 tables inside and a few outside. There always seems to be a wait, but their breakfast was worth the 40 minute wait. Terrific food! We went for a Saturday brunch and enjoyed both their traditional and salmon eggs Benedict as well as their Brave One meaty omelette. We also enjoyed the fresh squeezed orange juice and pumpkin spice latte. Wish there were more tables. Think they would be full. Will definitely return!

Delicious and cozy. Really friendly staff. My kid and I sat at the bar. Great playlist. Loved the vibe. The Sunnyside burger was huge! They made it gluten free for my kid - hence the toast instead of a bun. She said it’s the best burger she’s had in years! She finished it! And the homemade fries lol! I had the Sunnyside salad. Swapped kale for arugula and I am 💯 percent returning for this zesty, fresh salad! The roasted chickpeas and avocado in lemon are a culinary experience.

This is a cute, upbeat dining spot. We’ve been twice for breakfast and it was delicious both times. We’ve ordered very specific the 2nd time and the entire staff was happy to accommodate even with one of the Chefs out sick. I’m excited to try it for dinner as they have many nice wines to pair with their menu. Ava, the owner is so sweet and loves her customers. She’s very welcoming the minute you walk in the door. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Don’t let the address bother you as it sits in its own building on the front of the Apartments which is separated by a gate. Highly recommend.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful breakfast or lunch spot, look no further than Maple Street Biscuit Company. This charming café, which first opened its doors in Jacksonville back in 2012, has expanded its reach across Georgia, the Carolinas, Tennessee, and Texas. Known for its Southern-inspired menu that features mouthwatering biscuit sandwiches and hearty platters, this eatery is a must-visit.
We had a very good experience at this location. The employees were helpful. The food was fresh, correct, and brought out quickly within 5 minutes of ordering. The only thing that was a little off was the coffee carafes were empty, but an employee quickly remedied that. I was skeptical after reading several rough reviews, but my family is 5 ate breakfast for $36, which is more affordable and a better atmosphere than McDonalds.
Erin P — Google review
I understand that everyone is underpaid and treated poorly these days, but at least make an effort to say hello. The employee that took our order never said a word to us, he just stared and waited for us to talk. We ordered a bowl, which clearly came with two eggs according to the menu. However, when the food came, there were no eggs. We showed two staff members the menu and both shrugged their shoulders as if they didn't care or didn't know or both. They did make it right by scrambling up two eggs for us. We'll never go back. Wouldn't be shocked if they closed within the year. Could've gone to McDonald's and we would've had a better experience and better food. I'm surprised corporate leaders aren't concerned about their profits and bonuses based on how poorly this place managed.

Every food order is made fresh. We watched them prepping the next batch of biscuits while we waited for food. The fried chicken was very moist and tender, with just a little spicy kick - enough to zing but not burn. We did not try any sides. I had the farmer, and my friend had the squawcking goat. Everything we saw served to others looked just as yummy. Very quiet inside. Staff was polite, friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

My biscuits were hard as a rock, over baked and I choked on my first bite. I’m so happy I didn’t order anything more. EDIT: 10/22/2024 if this place doesn't hire a full staff immediately I honestly don't think the existing manager and one sweet lady can't keep going at this pace. Lovely atmosphere. We went as a group of 10 for dinner and seated comfortably. The food is good. The seafood cobb salad and mussels appetizer is highly recommended.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shore, a seafood restaurant located in the beautiful Lido Beach area of Sarasota. The experience was nothing short of amazing and spectacular. From the moment we arrived, the service was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and efficient, making us feel truly welcome. For my main course, I enjoyed the Shrimp and Scallop Risotto. It was an exquisite dish, perfectly creamy with a delightful citrusy freshness that complemented the seafood wonderfully. The addition of spinach and heirloom tomatoes provided a vibrant and fresh touch that elevated the overall flavor profile. My wife opted for the Beluga Black Lentil Ragout, and she was equally impressed. The dish was simply phenomenal, bursting with rich, hearty flavors that made each bite a joy. We also shared a large side of truffle fries, which were an absolute delight. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned, with the delicious taste of truffle and Parmesan adding an indulgent twist to this classic side. Overall, our dining experience at Shore was exceptional. The food was superb, the ambiance was lovely, and the service was top-notch. We will definitely be returning one day to relive this memorable culinary experience.

We ordered the roasted beet and goat cheese salad, the meatloaf, grilled snapper, shrimp/scallops with lemon risotto, fried chicken, and for the grandkids, they had the ribs and sliders. The salad needed more goat cheese but it was a challenge to get any additional. The goat cheese was wrapped in pistachios and was very good but it just needed more of it. There were way too many beets and disproportional to the cheese. The meatloaf was very different to anything we have had before but quite flavorful. Every so often we got the flavor of something spicy. It was a large portion and a great presentation! The fried chicken was cooked perfectly. The shrimp and scallops were okay to good. I didn’t get a lot of flavor from them but the lemon risotto was good. The snapper was on the dry side and was just “okay.” The kids food was okay as well. The service was good. I recommend the restaurant and we will return.

We enjoyed a lovely meal and loved the ambiance. Eating outside yet feeling away from the elements was perfect on this sunny Florida day. We were able to enjoy hot entrees and ice cold drinks comfortably. Our food was delicious 😋 Our service was great and the hostesses were super pleasant and informative.

This place was absolutely amazing!! We started with the calamari and it sure did not disappoint. It came in a salad style and it was absolutely delicious. The misses got the shrimp and scallops which was a good portion and very tasty. I got the grouper and boy what a treat it was. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience from the service, timing of food coming out, quality of the food and just everything!! I will definitely be back to this place. A+++++

Cute, tasty and fun place for a dinner! We had Hayden as our waitress and she was super nice! For the appetizer, we ordered the crab cake which was pretty good! It had a super tasty sauce on top! For my main course, I ordered the shrimp & scallops which came with risotto and that was amazing!! I ordered the 1908 for my cocktail and thought it was a bit flavorless but thought it was a super cute color! All around, I would go again, especially at sunset because they have an amazing view from the rooftop patio!

Shore is a must stop shop and dine. Love their clothing and we love to eat/drink upstairs. Maybe shop first before having cocktails ;-). Food is always fresh and so good. Cocktail options are amazingly crafted and very unique in their own way. The LOBSTER, SHRIMP & CRAB COBB SALAD is just WOW....if you enjoy seafood GET THIS! My wife and I now split it as it is HUGE! I am also obsessed with their truffle fries which is always a nice side. Bee Keeper cocktail is my favorite "dessert" cocktail to enjoy after dinner and I love their old fashioneds as they have a very good bourbon/rye selection. Awesome outdoor or indoor seating, just make your way up the stairs before walking into the retail store or take the elevator if you are in need of some assistance. Try this place, you'll thank me :-)

Good food, ambiance and location. Server was attentive and checked in often. Burger had hardly any jam and could have used more flavor. Espresso tart was okay but could have been better. Ceviche and guacamole with chips was good but ceviche was watery and lacking flavor.

The Old Salty Dog is a British-style pub located in various prime spots, including Sarasota's City Island and Lido Key. It offers a picturesque view of the bay and provides a relaxed atmosphere for visitors to enjoy live music while indulging in beer-battered hot dogs, fish n chips, grouper sandwiches, and their famous plump and juicy chicken wings tossed in Old Bay Hot Sauce.
The restaurant is right on the water. You cannot beat the view! It had a local vibe, which we love since we're true Floridians. The food was fresh and delish! We had the grouper, blackened, sandwich and the Captain seafood platter. We also enjoyed some nice cold beverages: ice tea and a local beer. Enjoy!

This was one of the best restaurants we ate at. Everything was great. The food was above average!! The Service was fantastic!! Several of the workers stopped and talked to us. We set on the deck overlooking the water. This is a must if you are near the area. The sunset on the water is a must see.

What an incredible meal! The Old Salty Dog is always a must-visit whenever we're in Florida, and this trip was no exception. We finally tried the loaded Old Salty Dog, and I deeply regret not ordering it sooner. It absolutely lives up to the hype and is a game-changer. The atmosphere was perfect. We sat right by the water, which made for a beautiful and relaxing experience. The kids had a blast too, enjoying their meals along with a delicious strawberry smoothie. They also loved the freebie that came with their food and were so excited to take it home. On top of that, the peel and eat shrimp were out of this world—fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. We'll be back again and again!

We had a stunning lunch here. Everything was super fresh and crisp. Neat lobster roll I’ve had in a long time and their sweet potato fries were delicious. Service was friendly and super attentive. Robbie was so sweet and great at serving us. We saw a manatee swimming right by us and lots of fish, jelly fish and dolphins in the distance. Amazing location for the perfect relaxing lunch on the water.

We absolutely love this Old Salty Dog location near St. Armands Circle in Sarasota. The restaurant is waterfront and right next to a marina/boat yard and marine center. There are always boats being launched, refueling, or just cruising by. On a sunny day, it is a perfect waterfront spot in Sarasota to boat watch. The Pelicans are always swooping for fish and putting on a show for restaurant guests. You can also occasionally see jelly fish, we just saw a couple hundred swimming by on our last visit. Rain or shine, Old Salty Dog is always worth a visit. The patio gets the perfect amount of sun on a sunny day with light sun shades, a gulf breeze, and the perfect sunset back drop. On rainy days, you might have to wait a minute for an inside table or seat at the bar because they stay busy, but it is worth the wait. As the name implies, they are known for their deep fried hot dogs and dog bites which are always a favorite. The burgers also hit the spot for a change up and the seafood doesn’t disappoint. If you’re looking for a frozen drink on a hot day, a delicious rum runner, or just a beer they have something for everyone. The parking lot gets full pretty quick with limited spaces while they are working on the building next door, but additional lots are across the street and a short 2 minute walk. We’d highly recommend Old Salty Dog for a casual waterfront restaurant in Sarasota with good food, good drinks, and the ability to come in your swim suit by boat or car.

You cannot beat food right by the water. We both enjoyed a grouper sandwich, mine was blackened. My wife's was fried in a tempura like beer batter. Both were absolutely delicious, shared some regular fries and some sweet potato fries. The service was quick, there were a couple of local beers on tap. And whatever you do, do not skip the key lime pie!

If you want the beach vibe while eating dinner this is the place for it. If you imagine having a drink with the weather breeze blowing on you then look no further. Sitting there while a boat floats by, a pelican lands 10 ft from you, and seeing a rainbow was amazing. The food wasn't amazing, but the atmosphere makes up for it. I got a hamburger and an order of the Salty dog nuggets. I had a wonderful time eating here.

After a day of apartment hunting we were hungry and The Old Salty Dog was right on our route and super convenient. We got some mozzarella sticks, burger with fries and the hotdog bites. Not super excited about the hog dog bites Sadly but we were so hungry it served a purpose. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was perfect to end the day. I would love to stop back when I come back to the area.

Der Dutchman is a casual Amish kitchen and bakery known for its classic fare and delightful treats. The restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet with a wide variety of comfort foods, making it perfect for large family gatherings. In addition to the breakfast buffet, they are famous for their homemade donuts, particularly the orange frosted cake donut. The eatery also serves crispy bacon, hash browns, and biscuits.
If you ever come to visit Sarasota, you need to come down and visit this place. The service was great today and it always is. I've never had a bad experience and they are always accommodating. I had the breakfast buffet and recommend the Amish Delight which is to die for! The scrambled eggs were perfect and I have no complaints. I visited the upstairs store and they carry The Naked Bee products which I recommend the body lotion. The store itself can be a great distraction or to pass time because there is alot to see. The store has from sea shells, clothing, to quilts. It's always a great place to come and spend time with friends or family.

Der Dutchman is a vast establishment. It features a buffet offering exceptional home-cooked cuisine, including fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Additionally, they provide an extensive menu with diverse meal options. The staff is highly attentive, and the entire facility is impeccably clean. Furthermore, they operate a charming bakery and coffee shop, accompanied by a store located upstairs. Highly recommended, this is a must-visit destination.

How exciting that I came across a Der Dutchman in FL! The last time I visited was at the locations in Ohio. Delicious as expected. A not to be missed buffet filled with home cooked flavor. They also have a menu if you prefer to order. If you come between breakfast and lunch you will also get donuts! The donuts are soft, pillow-like and filled with various creams. Crazy good. This location has a restaurant, large gift shop, good size bakery, coffee shop and small selection of grocery staples. Everyone is friendly, everything is clean and its not too busy during the weekdays. We came on Friday and the theme was seafood! Fresh and fried. In addition, you get free soft- serve icecream with the buffet! 10/10!! I waddled away stuffed full of delicious food!!

We've heard about this place. My wife and I tried it Thursday for lunch....OMG!! The food here is awesome! As a kid I remember open face turkey sandwiches at the diners of the day- Turkey on white bread with mashed potatoes and gravy. Der Dutchman has it on their menu! Seriously, the most delicious restaurant meal I've had in years, and my wife and I go out every week at least once. Another childhood delish - My grandmother used to make Rhubarb pie, something you just don't find in restaurants or stores anymore. Der Dutchman has it!!! I purchased a whole pie to bring home. Besides the fantastic foods, this place has a huge bakery, and store. The service was top notch. This was so good and even though it's a bit of a drive, we (and all of our friends now) will be going back here.

Had a great lunch at Der Dutchman with friends visiting from Orlando and Fort Myers. We came around 2 PM and were impressed right from the start—plenty of parking, warm welcoming atmosphere. We all went for the buffet, and it did not disappoint! The hot food stayed hot, cold food stayed cold, and everything was fresh, clean, and constantly refilled. Great variety and flavors. The service was friendly and attentive, making our visit even better. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a hearty, home-style meal in a relaxing setting!

I highly recommend their breakfast buffet! Cozy yummy food my favorites including sausage, bacon, ham, cheesy hash-browns, whipped cream, fresh grape/ cantaloupe/ honeydew fruit mix with a coffee and water. The rest of my family loves the biscuits & gravy, donuts, eclair, oatmeal, eggs, yogurt & granola and fruit cocktail. Their gift shop is top notch also great for gifts you can’t find most places. Really great prices even in the busy season.

Der Dutchman Sarasota 7-30-25 What a good place to eat. We stopped by on a Wednesday about 5:45pm and this place was busy. It has a large Gift shop upstairs, Food and Bakery downstairs which my wife loved. There is an Elevator for those that cannot do all the steps just to the right of the restaurant entrance. Lots of items there but it’s a little pricey. I bought some Amish Noodles and sweet Bologna as its hard to get back home. Once inside the restaurant we got the Buffet, but you can order off the menu if you want. The Buffet has a ton of items on it, and you serve yourself. I will name a few food items on the Buffet, Ham, Turkey, Ribs, Brosted Chicken, Meat Loaf, Roast Beef, Smoked Sausage, Baked Fish, Salmon, Mac & Cheese, Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Carrots, Corn, Green Beans, Noodles, Baked Apples, Stuffing, Rolls, Cake, Pie, and a huge Salad Bar just to name a few. There is something for everyone on the Buffet. They will bring you some Ice Cream to finish up your meal. The waitstaff was fast refilling our drinks and answering any questions we had. This place is huge and very clean for all the people they serve. I for one can’t wait to go back. I give this place a 4 out of 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Follow Me On FB For More Reviews & Fun. Gulf Coast Terry

The restaurant is popular among families seeking a personalized breakfast or brunch experience during their stay on Siesta Key.
This brunch place is the place to good. The mimosas are really tasty. I had the eggs Benedict and we had the bourbon pancakes, still drooling! I am not a fan of sitting in 90 degree heat while a fan blows more hot air but that is all they had at that time.

Highly recommended breakfast spot! They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, with fast and friendly service. The hostess was especially welcoming—she even chatted with us since we were all from PA. I ordered the half and half special which included chicken and waffles and gumbo. The chicken and waffles with chipotle honey sauce were absolutely delicious. The waffle was perfectly cooked, and the chicken was tender. Gumbo was packed with flavor! The biscuits were huge and satisfying. If you enjoy mimosas, don’t miss the lemon blueberry mimosa—my first time trying that combo, and it won’t be my last. 10/10! The only minor downside was that some of the food arrived lukewarm, as if it had been waiting on the rest of the order. Still, I would absolutely go back and highly recommend this spot in the charming Siesta Key Village.

The Another Broken Egg was a pleasure to eat at. It was busy, so I would get there early or get your name in, and then u can come back. 🏴‍☠️ Arrr, a Return to the Blue Dolphin Tavern! ☠️🍽️ Ahoy, me mateys! After years adrift on the high seas, we finally sailed back to the Blue Dolphin Café, only to find that the crew had changed, the rations be heartier, and aye… the loot required to dine be a bit steeper! But let me tell ye, the crispy waffle was golden as a pirate’s doubloons, the bacon had a crunch that’d wake Davy Jones himself, and the service? Smoother than a ship glidin’ on a fair tide! Strangest thing o’ all? The place was dead empty! We used to fight through a horde o’ hungry landlubbers just to get a seat. This time, we strolled in like royalty, no cutlass needed. Would we return? Aye! The food be worth it, even if we have to trade a few extra gold coins. If ye haven’t been in a while, hoist yer sails and give it another go—ye won’t be walkin’ the plank over this one! ⚓️🐬🏴‍☠️

This is a small cafe. The food was fresh, but everything on the menu has a different ingredient than usual. For example, the potato salad had quite a bit of bell pepper and sour cream (I think). The eggs Benedict with lobster were very good and the portion was pretty generous. Cappuccino was pretty good too, but the drip coffee was very weak and not good tasting at all. Croissant seemed to be a frozen one revived in the oven. The place was full of French themed posters, but it’s really just an all American breakfast place. Service was quick, friendly and efficient.

It was okay, I wasn’t impressed. Maybe I had high expectations. The cappuccino was ok. The grilled vegetables omelette was not the best. This place has great potential. The service was sub standard, I did not feel like they wanted me there. But later as I watched them interact with the regulars and locals, it was very warm and friendly.

We stopped by this place after a long walk on the beach and it’s a typical tourist eatery place. The food is just OK. I had a full breakfast (bacon and sausages were either overcooked or were left overs from the day before as they didn’t taste freshly cooked) and my wife had a lobster omelette with salad. With glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and a glass of fresh lemonade the total came to $50, which is way too pricey for what we got.

We had a great experience. Dinner on the patio watching the sun set over the bay. Well crafted cocktails. The food was good. Our server was awesome. Will be back next time in Sarasota.

Amazing food. Great views. Wonderful service. Drinks were great as well. We were blown away at the portion of lobster they gave us. They were very accommodating and created a special plate even though it wasn’t specifically on the menu. Perfect place for sunset dinner.

Here for the first time to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I found this place by googling Best Seafood Restaurant in Sarasota. It is located in the Ritz Carleton Hotel which is situated right on the harbor with great views. Complimentary Valet parking was handy since there is no parking nearby. We were seated immediately outside with a nice view of the harbor. Our server Brooke made our experience we wonderful. The menu is limited but that is not necessarily a negative. We were waited on by a team of servers. I ordered a Negroni and my wife had a gin and tonic. We had the shrimp cocktail which I felt was not as fresh as it could be. I was expecting jumbo shrimp but they were average size. A highlight was the brown maple bread which came backed in a tin cake. Brooke served us explaining the origin of the bread and the name Jack Dusty. My wife had the mahi mahi which she said was delicious. I had the Red Snapper. It was a huge serving. I had filled up on the shrimp and bread. The bar looks like a good happy hour spot. Some people came just for drinks. Dress is casual. This will be a good place to bring company. Oh, my wife got her pick of desserts and the recipe for the bread. I’m

Sooo, Jack Dusty was surprisingly good! I’m usually skeptical about hotel restaurant, there’s often a high chance of high prices and bland food, but this one delivered. We had dinner, dessert, and breakfast here and enjoyed all of it. Tried a few different things on the menu, no clear favorite, but everything was solid. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout. Definitely worth trying if you’re in the area or staying at the hotel!

Great brunch/ lunch as always! Oysters are always really good too! One of my favorite and most frequented restaurants in SRQ. Jack fries are SOO GOOD, if you’re on a diet I recommend staying away because they are dangerously addictive (in a good way).

Jack dusty food was great! We came here for a birthday dinner and were in a private dining room. Drinks were great, views were nice as well. Only complaint was service. We were a large party, but still took 30-45 mins to get checked on knowing we were having drinks and needed water topped off etc. I would give it an 8/10.

Jack Dusty, is located inside the Ritz Carlton downtown Sarasota. Nice lunch specials 😋, very helpful and courteous staff 👍 good views out the back 👍 Both indoor and outdoor seating 💺 😀. And for those of you that follow me, you know that cleanliness is very important 😉 Jack Dusty easily meets my expectations 👍😉 The restaurant and restrooms 🚻 are very neat and clean 😀. I recommend giving them a try 😀

We stayed at the Ritz for our vacation in sarasota. And ate at the restaurant for lunch one day. They have an exceptional seafood menu. My husband got the fish tacos and very much enjoyed them. I'm vegetarian and the options were limited but the bartender was kind enough to discuss with the chef options to help accommodate my dietary restrictions and they made vegetarian tacos. Which was such a nice gesture. The tacos were filled to the top and the flavors actually worked well. They bar tender was great!

The Rosemary, located in Sarasota, FL, is a charming American restaurant known for its classic comfort food and Southern-inspired flavors. The menu offers an abundant selection of dishes including Texas-style whiskey-chip smoked and bourbon-braised boneless short ribs, grilled prime strip steak with various toppings, and Georges Texas Platter featuring hand-rubbed brisket, smoked sausage, and baby back ribs. The cozy atmosphere makes it a popular choice for both locals and visitors seeking a delicious meal.
First, the Rosemary address is wrong, it’s down the street, I almost missed it, they moved.. but I like it here, I wasn’t sure what to expect but staff was very friendly, food was good. I ordered huevos rancheros tostadas, coffee tasted great and we all enjoyed our meals. Prices are reasonable and atmosphere was excellent. They have a beautiful restaurant and outside seating, too hot for me to sit outside, we visited from SC, I would eat here again.

The atmosphere was great! We sat outside and enjoyed live music by Master Violinist Gregory Rohr, which was wonderful. Unfortunately, the service was sub-par. Waiter wasnt very attentive. I ordered an extra, extra, extra dirty Martini and always stress "dirty" when ordering. The Martini came and wasn't dirty at all. I had stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. There were only 4 and they were just ok. I ordered the New York Strip dinner medium rare, and when it arrived, it had a stick in it saying medium, but it wasn't pink at all. The waiter was accommodating and did bring me another steak, which was medium rare. However, when it came, the 2 pieces of shrimp that came with it on a kabob were iced cold! Of course, it was too late by the time I bit into the whole thing! We also had to keep asking for our ice water to be refilled. In summary, their 3 course meal for $25 wasn't worth it to me. The dinner was miniscule and not spectacular at all. I took the peach cobbler home and even that wasn't impressive. I have enjoyed a nice lunch here before, so I'm not sure what happened, but I was very disappointed.

Great Service and staff, Adam took care of us and was best server we’ve had in a long time! Great food. Best quiche we’ve ever had (we chose the Greek), nice spin on the avocado toast and pancakes were good too. Will be coming back soon. This was directly after Hurricane Ian. Much appreciated!

Very unpleasant and confusing experience. The restaurant is well-appointed inside to give the feel of an upscale manor restaurant. Then we were seated at a table with butcher paper covering the table clothes. I half expected to be given crayons. Very déclassé. Many contradictions: salt & pepper grinders yet half empty clear ketchup bottles on the table like a Waffle House. Nice decor yet unkempt and disheveled waitstaff wearing dirty jeans and faded, mismatched, black shirts. The staff loudly played a TV/Radio listening to Spanish TV shows and of all things, the song I Like Big Butts. Seriously? As an encor, 2 staff members came out into the dining room to berate a host for seating too many tables in their section. They argued, they bickered, voices were raised. We heard complaints about customers, tips... highly inappropriate. It was a seen you might expect to see at a Walmart. They are in serious need of having an adult on-site to keep the children on task and getting along. As for the food, the restaurant understands how a nice brunch menu should read and they know how the food should look, but they lack the culinary skills to execute the dishes we tried. Come on guys, even the roasted potatoes were tasteless, overcooked, and blah. That's an easy one to get right. Super easy staple of every brunch menu on the planet. Brunch essentials 101. If I sound bitter and angry it's because I'm still astonished by the antics and the complete lack of care that went into the food.

We came here for lunch when they had their own version of Savor Sarasota and called it appropriately Savor Rosemary. The interior of this establishment is very light and airy, a welcome respite to some of the darker downtown venues. We thoroughly enjoyed the 3 course lunch. It was not very busy since the snow birds were gone. I had the fish chowder and the Taco Brisket. Wow, was this good and it was part of the prix fixe menu. After the excellent food I hardly wanted dessert but succumbed to a Bananas Foster. We'll be back!

Super cute brunch and lunch spot in the Rosemary district, hence the name. I had an omelette. It was delicious. My wife had the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of bacon. Everything was delicious. Mimosas are gigantic.

This was my first visit to the Rosemary, but it won't be my last! I found the atmosphere enchanting--simple but elegant. There is outdoor seating available and the chairs inside where we sat were very comfortable. My mom thoroughly enjoyed the turkey Florentine crepes, and my husband thought his Reuben was good. I think my choice of the Pacific Rim salad was the best, with huge Wasabi-fried shrimp, crisp greens, lots of cashews, almonds & sesame seeds, and a delightful dressing. I forgot to take a photo before starting but got one halfway through. Our server, Arpi, was great, and I am looking forward to visiting this wonderful gem of a restaurant again soon

The garlic bread served with the pasta was particularly highlighted for its crispiness and flavor. Additionally, the staff has been commended for their knowledge, friendliness, and helpfulness in creating a pleasant dining atmosphere.
Came for one of their wine and food pairing events. The food was well cooked and seasoned and the portions were good for a four course tasting. The wine was also a nice variety and good selection. They were also kind enough to pour added small tastings if asked for ones you liked.

What an amazing experience! It was our first time at Bonefish Grill in Sarasota. We sat up at the bar and the bartender, John L. Greeted us. We let him know of my dietary restrictions and what we were interested in ordering. John made sure that everything we asked for was cooked correctly without me having to worry about my food allergies. The food was amazing, every single thing on our plates was delicious! John was attentive to our needs for water refills and whatever else we needed. It was great, but John made the experience very special as well. We applaud Bonefish Grill for hiring such a professional, thoughtful person to work at their bar.

I have had my faith restored with this location on Tamiami Trail in Sarasota, FL <3 The owner Brian is doing great things with the team he has in and out of the kitchen!!! I was so happy to give this restaurant chain another chance to redeem it self and so glad I did. The food was hot, flavor was what I remembered it's supposed to be and the presentation was beautiful. I had the Bang Bang shrimp and Fish & Chips, next time I'm going to have Salmon (my favorite) because I know I won't be disappointed. I do not live in Sarasota, and have missed going to a Bonefish Grill because I used to love it sooo much, however due to the one in my town it has changed owners a lot and never has gotten back to the quality it had years ago, so I stopped going close to my home. I'll have to continue to go to Sarasota and enjoy the BEST BONEFISH GRILL on the map!!! Thanks Stephanie for your excellent service, you're awesome :)

A pleasant little deli and coffee shop in the always buzzing St. Armands Circle area of Sarasota. I stopped by around breakfast/brunch time for takeout after taking my daughter to get her ears checked (ear infections oft being the bane of all vacation plans). I ordered the veggie burrito, which had a lot of flavor and a bunch of fresh tasting veggies along with cheese. My wife got the avocado toast, which she remarked had way more avocado than she expected, which is a good sign for the more meager price tag. My children split a simple egg and cheese on toast, which they both enjoyed. Overall, it was good and filling breakfast fair for what could definitely be considered a bargain for the area where it resides.

Super nice people and good food. The Salad was excellent with some nice touches. The panini sandwich was good and like the salad the vegetables were fresh. I was a little disappointed with the fruit salad ( which wasn't cheap at all ) because the small amount of fruits and limited variety in the bowl. It was a little pricey but I would go back again.

My wife and I stopped by for gelato after lunch. Nice like shop. We didn’t eat any of deli sandwiches or have coffee or wine. We only had gelato. I have to admit the gelato was NOT the best. I had a large with raspberry and cheesecake gelato while my wife had a small hazelnut gelato. I would definitely not come back for the gelato. I prefer to go to a place where they make their own gelato. I’m giving them 3 stars because the diner / cafe is a nice place to visit AND I only got gelato which is not their primary offering. Their decor is nice. I especially like the picture that says “I am not the solutions to your problems. I’m another problem.”, which is a quote from Mad Men.

So glad we found this gem. Great local eatery. Loved my frittata special of the month. Husband loved blt. Fresh squeezed orange juice and excellent coffee. Fruit side was generous serving. My only complaint is that is was cold, but getting my jacket solved that!
Heather E — Google review
On Memorial Day our favorite breakfast locations were closed so my wife and I decided to try this location. We were sat right away and while the interior had a nice little vibe to it any positive thoughts were instantly taken away by how sticky the tile floor was. I could literally hear my shoes stick with each step. Not sure if this was due to soap not being rinsed properly or another reason but it did stick in my mind as we were walking to our table. The omelet I ordered was good, as was the toast and bacon. I wish this location, though, had regular hash browns. They do not. Their only hash browns are cheesy. To not have a plain version really bummed me out. The only other option were potatoes that had sweet potatoes mixed in. Again, bummer, since I do not like sweet potatoes. All in all, The Original Egg was okay but not having options that other locations such as Millie's or Max's Table have, means we probably will not be back.

Service was excellent. Breakfast tacos were not. I have never seen such small taco shells. Also, they use chunked chorizo instead of ground. Just not my thing for $15.00.

This was a great experience!! Cute interior, friendly & efficient server & the food, sooooo good!! I had the Belgian waffle with strawberries & whipped cream. Outstanding flavors & fresh strawberries. Not the kind mixed with the glaze or syrup. The french toast my husband had was great too! We would highly recommend this place on Clark Road! The only negative is that they aren't closer to where we live! We will definitely be back!! :)

Really great atmosphere with a slow pace. Fresh squeezed orange juice, hot coffee and pretty good mimosas make for a nice start for breakfast. The food was delicious! Take a shot on the corned beef hash and the biscuits and gravy - you might want to take a nap afterwards, but 100% worth it! Glad we made the stop!

All our food was delicious--western omelet, Philly cheese steak sandwich, waffles with strawberries, French toast, and kids breakfast with biscuit and gravy. Lila is a trendy and health-conscious eatery located on Main Street in downtown Sarasota. The restaurant offers a primarily vegetarian or vegan menu with options for customization, including add-ons like pork or vegan chorizo and farm eggs. The establishment prides itself on its creative and contemporary vibe, offering dishes such as the macro bowl, mushroom burger, vegetable burger, quinoa-sweet potato wedges, and harissa-spiced roasted ram wedges with almond mayo.
Came here for my birthday and the food was 10/10, Props to Eric for the extremely creative take on the food considering we ate all plant based options. He showed us a great deal of hospitality, and honestly our dinner would not have been as special without his efforts. We were the last table of the night and were treated as if we were the first table. Continue the good work Eric and don’t ever give up your passion.

The ambiance and service at Lila were wonderful warm, inviting, and attentive. We really appreciated the chef’s effort to accommodate my request for a white cheese sauce with red sauce on the side. Unfortunately, the flavors didn’t quite meet our expectations. The red sauce lacked seasoning, and my husband felt the same about his soup. While we value the use of fresh, quality ingredients, the overall taste didn’t quite justify the high price point.
Sira G — Google review
The vegan sushi here is truly amazing—some of the best I’ve had. The food overall is very good, and in the past when I dined in, I was very happy with both the service and the quality of the dishes. This time, I ordered takeout. I had checked the menu online and sent it to my wife so she could pick her order in advance. When I arrived in person to order, I was told that the item she chose was no longer on the menu. I mentioned that it was still listed on the website, and they acknowledged the website was outdated. It would really help to have the online menu kept current—it caused a bit of inconvenience, especially since I had to text my wife a photo of the current menu and then call her at work to finalize the order. I chose the Med Bowl, which sounded fantastic—and flavor-wise, it didn’t disappoint. The mix of almond falafel, quinoa, cabbage, zucchini, tomato, hummus, za’atar, tahini, and naan was well-balanced and delicious. However, the portion size was surprisingly small for $21. It came with just one small piece of naan cut into quarters and only two tiny pieces of falafel. (See photo) I expected at least four pieces, and even three would have felt light but oils not have propped this review. But two? That felt inadequate, especially considering the modest amounts of quinoa, hummus and zucchini. For the price, the portion didn’t deliver. We also tried the Macro Bowl, which was also tasty but similarly underwhelming in size for $20. On the upside, the blueberry cheesecake was delicious, though a bit pricey. Seeing as it is one of the few vegan deserts in town, I don’t mind as much. I’ll definitely return for the vegan sushi—it’s worth it. But I wouldn’t order one of the bowls again unless the portions improve.

Loooooove Lila’s!!! This is the perfect place for anyone of all food types from meat eaters to vegans to gluten free connoisseurs. From start to finish, every single dish we ordered exceeded our expectations. The flavors were exquisite, unique, one of a kind! I really liked the space- well lit, nice pictures of greenery and earthy tones. Felt like I was in a farm to table restaurant. The bread & crab cake starters were so good. There was a variety of sushi to choose from, all vegan and gluten free. Highly suggest the mushroom spider roll- crunchy, soft textures and the spicy mayo wasn’t too spicy. The Med bowl had some of the most tender chicken with a very smooth & creamy sauce, soft falafel with a light crunchy coating, & spiced hummus with naan bread. I really liked the iced berry tea, my parents loved the Malbec wine & Belgian ale. To seal the deal, we got the chocolate mousse cake which made everyone speechless- it was rich in chocolate while also light and a nice touch with the fresh raspberries to give your mouth a full firework experience. Liz our server was delightful. Extremely patient, helpful, gave us some great suggestions for what to order, & checked on us in the midst of a very busy night. I was visiting but I’ll definitely come back in town to check this place out again!!

We ate here this weekend Afternoon and they were not busy. we had the Caesar salad, The Mediterranean bowl, The homemade bread and a bison burger. The bison river was very good. Unfortunately, the Caesar salad and the bowl were not. The homemade bread was seven dollars and it tasted more like flour and water put together.I ordered A side of mushrooms with the Caesar. It was mostly kale, and very few pieces of romaine. There was no cheese whatsoever. There was a tablespoon of mushrooms on top. They were so salty! And they were An extra $9!!!! The large Mediterranean bowl was tiny. It also had a tremendous amount of kale and again the mushrooms were so salty. We could not eat it. The server was in, sincerely, nice to begin with. And not very attentive. At the end of the meal, which was not finished except for the burger, we told her that the mushrooms were incredibly salty and we couldn’t eat them. She immediately caught an attitude and said we should’ve told her when she asked us how it was. She went back and complained to the kitchen. No apologies nor offers to make it right. Furthermore, without drinks our bill was over $75. We were two stores down the sidewalk when she came after And said that we had shorted her $20. We said no, we didn’t, and she come through the bills again and saw that we were correct. She was very rude. I’m not sure how this restaurant has so many stars. Portions were small and not good at all.

Great place to eat. Resonanly priced, great sized portions, friendly. Our waitress, Leah, was fantastic. She took care of us in style! I had fish & chips, wife had turkey dinner, daughter had pot pie & her 2 boys had from kids menu.

My first time dining in. Have gotten great biscuits and gravy at takeout before today. (And they were amazing.) Today's dine in deserves 10+ stars. Chicken and waffles today were beyond delicious. Without a doubt the best fried chicken in the area. Just enough light breading on the chicken for crispness and flavor. Waffles with strawberry butter made it even tastier. My server Amy B definitely made a table for one dine in customer feel extremely welcome and comfortable. Even made great menu suggestions right down to the best way to reheat the leftovers. And with so much food there definitely was a doggie bag. Atmosphere was nice and I was greeted at the door and thanked as I was leaving. I appreciated having the manager make a customer service check at my table during my meal. You won't be disappointed. Food, service and welcoming atmosphere are the best.

The food and service is always amazing! Jill is a great server; she’s very attentive, kind and timely. I highly recommend the chicken. The sweet and spicy option is amazing and has a spice level everyone can get behind.

Wow wow wow this place was great! Highly recommend eating here instead of crowded downtown or St. Armond’s Square. The chicken and waffles is huge (covered the entire average-sized plate it was served on) and the waffle was so delicious!! It was light and fluffy and kinda just melts in your mouth. My husband got the breakfast burger and had high praises for it as well; he loved the meat in particular, as it seemed really high quality, and the hollandaise sauce tasted good too. The waitress was also kind, prompt, and attentive, and the restaurant was clean. We also got a good parking spot in their free lot, despite the restaurant being packed at 9:30am on Sunday.

Ordered through door dash .. we always get fresh home made food here. My husband always gets the chicken and waffles he loves the spicy syrup that comes with it . I always get the biscuits and gravy there fluffy and just perfect portion. My kids get the fish n chips(fry’s) usually always fresh but unfortunately this order it came cold extra fishy n taste , tough on the inside and mush on the out. I don’t blame the cook it may have just got soggy from sitting waiting for the dasher . Definitely will order again 9/10

Whenever we're in the area we try to visit this Metro diner location. Arron, the server that regularly have was not working on this visit. On this visit Jill was are server and the restaurant was not busy and we were immediately seated. The menú items we ordered an appetizer of onion rings. For the main entrées we ordered Chicken tenders platter with a side of onion rings. The Philly cheesesteak omelet containing grilled steak, onions, mushrooms and cheese. Also wheat toast slices and cheese grits were included. Also ordered was eggs benedict on a spilt biscuit with fried chicken and 2 poached eggs topped with hollandaise sauce, and a side of hash browns. For a dessert apple cobbler a la mode was the final course. Even though we have to travel quite a distance to visit this location the food is always hot and served in a timely manner. And this location has become preferable to a closer location.

It was our first time eating there. The food was incredible. Can't wait to go back! This is the half chicken and waffles and the scramble bowl with hollandaise sauce (it's gluten free). So good.

Stopped to have a little something to eat while on a road trip. Best choice we could’ve made. All of the different plates we got were amazing. Our waitress Heidi was incredible and there wasn’t a thing we were missing. Super sweet and funny, made the experience even better.

Waffle Stop Inc is a delightful throwback to the classic diner experience, steeped in history and charm. Once graced by Elvis Presley himself in 1956, this eatery offers a diverse menu that features everything from hearty chicken salads to their signature Hunka Hunka Burger. The ambiance reflects decades of dedication to serving delicious home-cooked meals rather than flashy decor, making it feel like stepping back in time.
The place is a little dusty and outdated, but their FOOD is why you go (well, and because Elvis ate there)! Get the biscuits and gravy - you won't be disappointed. Staff are friendly and take great care of you. It a little mom and pop place that serves delicious food (can't speak for anything other than breakfast). It's on a main street that makes getting in and out a little tricky but it's doable!
Heidi N — Google review
This review is bit weighted because on the morning I went with my family, they only had one older women (presumably the owner) running the whole dining room, which is tough for anyone. The fair here is traditional diner fair (ironically I did not find any waffles on the menu😅), and it was done rather well and at a fair price point. My family all had pancakes and backm and eggs, while I opted for the fried mush and gravy, which was pretty good and plenty filling. The decor (and basically the diners identity) is based on Elvis stopping by in 1956, which was mentioned on the coffee cups. The decor is a shrine to the King, and it's a fun little time capsule, so don't expect any modernizations. It is cash only, but there is an ATM on site. Also, the sign for the restaurant is just a picture of Elvis' head (showing my earlier shrine comment), so it's best to follow a GPS when driving there. Overall, nothing blew me away with my visit, and it was tough to keep my 2 year old from making ruckus during the long wait due to staffing (though everyone working definitely tried their best). But for a small price in an area with higher prices, and for a bit of yesteryear kitschy fun, this place works out just fine.

Charming old-style diner run by hard working locals. The history is evident as the ambiance has not changed in well over 30 years but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. The charm is in its dedication to good food over impressive paint and tables. One can envision Elvis sitting in a booth with his team around him all chatting quietly eating some of the best sausage and gravy around! Eggs were sunny side up with the perfect runny consistency. Hash browns were fresh and delicate. Good coffee. Really enjoyed our first visit and easily became the daily family breakfast joint. The buttermilk pancakes were golden, moist and delicious. The whole wheat toast was that perfect nutty flavor. Walk-to is best.

This place is hard to find; look for the sign with a drawing of Elvis Presley (who ate here in 1956), on the corner of Washington and Brother Geenan Way, across from Payne Parkway and the Ford dealer. But the breakfast was very good: a Greek Omelet (no onions) with hash browns and orange juice, and the extensive Elvis memorabilia is worth the trip! $15 with tip.

The Overton, located in Sarasota's Rosemary District, is a trendy and stylish establishment that opened its doors in the summer of 2018. This collaboration between State Street creator Chef Christian Hershman and Perq coffee bar owners Erin and Eric Zolner offers a unique dining experience.
The Overton is a must! Come visit, eat, hang out and enjoy the great vibe. This is a perfect location in Sarasota near downtown in the Rosemary District. The food is top-notch, great service and friendly staff. You won’t be disappointed. Every first Tuesday of the month is music night with live DJs, starting in October. Highly recommend!

Came here twice for coffee with friends. They serve Counter Culture which is a brand that I love. The Hot latte I had last time was good but the Iced Americana was even better you can really taste the coffee . Perfect for walking around on a hot day. Definitely coming back to try the food after seeing some plates come out. And the vibe is also pretty cool and very chill. Plus they have a super nice and friendly staff and great service. 👍

Today was my first time visiting The Overton, after multiple friends in the are recommended that I check it out. I have to say, I really enjoyed myself. I just went with coffee (a flat white) but it was very well made and tasted great! The environment is another plus, with garage-style doors on the front so when raised you get an indoor/outdoor hybrid feel. Also the service was fantastic, and my coffee was ready quickly (even though they were busy). Give them a visit if you’re looking for a new spot!

I thought this place looked super cute so I took my grandma for breakfast. They didn’t open on time at 9 am which is a bit frustrating. we ordered at the register, they didn’t say the total or print us a receipt. I ended up with two lattes somehow. The biscuit was enormous yet dry and sadly the gravy was super thick which didn’t help the dry biscuit taste. Unfortunately not impressed with my experience but maybe I ordered wrong.

Great burger and fries! Coffee was very tasty as well! Service left much to be desired but I came for the food so didn’t even mind that the women at the counter and cashier were quite rude.

We visited the Overton for a late breakfast this morning and were pleasantly surprised by the functional architecture inside the restaurant and for that matter, to some extent on the outside. We chose to sit inside although the large overhead doors were open and outside eating would have been fine also. Though not very busy some items were already crossed off of the "training menu", which, by the way, is a great idea. We were able to watch the servers earn and learn. I truly believe there should be no minimum wage and watching these young people learning the ropes of waiting on others and patrolling their areas for items in need of attention affirms my minimum wage belief. The better they become on efficiency for their customers dining experience, the greater their earning power will become. For those who do not perform they will quickly realize this is not the job for them, but onto the food and service. We both ended up ordering the same item, a vegan patty melt to which we added Siracha. The patty was made with garbanzo beans and zucchini squash with a vegan yellow cheese like topping on the patty. More than enough food, in fact we could have shared, but both of us ate all of the sandwitches. I had delicious fresh brewed black coffee and Nann had an unsweetened cold hibiscus tea. The Overton is a cafeteria style restaurant where they call out your order number when ready for you to pick up. We came here for some breakfast and departed with no leftovers and full stomachs. Perfect. Overton's is a must for everyone to experience. The area is steeped with history and now making history again with the new development in this newly gentrified area of Sarasota. I will post a photo of the training menu along with other photos of Overton's. A great addition to this new hip area of Sarasota and the restaurant is named after this early Sarasota neighborhood where our city's first black settlers lived.

The Toasted Yolk Cafe, along with First Watch and Keke's Breakfast Cafe, are popular spots in Sarasota for a delicious breakfast any day of the week. These modern cafes offer classic breakfast dishes and endless coffee to kickstart your day. Whether you prefer a French press at Keke's, cold brew at First Watch, or a caramel macchiato at The Toasted Yolk Cafe, there's something for everyone.
I had a late breakfast at Toasted Yolk. I walked in without reservations at about 2:30 (they close at 3). I was greeted immediately by a friendly lady. The ac wasn’t on inside so I chose to sit outside on the patio and it was a perfect breezy day. The food was amazing. I ordered a strawberry orange mimosa that was both pretty and delicious. It was my cheat day for my fitness routine so I ordered quite a bit, I ordered the eggs deluxe with turkey sausage, cheese grits, hash brown casserole, and French toast. Everything came out really fast before I could finish up some work I was doing on my phone. It was wonderful. I literally ate all of the grits before I remembered to take pictures lol. They were seasoned perfectly, when it was time to pay for my food my waitress informed me that a lady in the restaurant had already taken care of my bill, she was impressed by how much of a strong independent woman I appeared to be and wanted to do something nice 😩😩😩. That was so sweet I wish I had a chance to tell her thank you but she had already left, maybe asking the waitress not to tell me until she was gone. That is an attest to how nice and just easy going the people of Sarasota are, without any praise for doing so. I will for sure pay it forward. I felt bad because I truly over ordered but I still tipped my waitress $20. I will for sure return for mimosas and brunch.

Very good brunch Spot! This was the first time for us, Nice , simple and spacious place, with a very extensive menu, it has something for everyone,GF options as well as healthy choices. Breakfast and lunch, full bar and coffee drinks. The Food was very tasty and the cocktails too! Very busy place but we did not have to wait much for a table, there is an outdoor seating as well and the service was very friendly and polite. We will come back to try other options for sure.

New to the area, the wife and I tried the cinnamon donuts before the breakfast and a very good Latte. The server Katie was very quick to greet us, seat us, and provide excellent service. Our order was made correctly, it came out without delay and was very good. Breakfast Burrito is recommended as well as the two egg breakfast. Everything was hot. The one thing I loved, but not everyone will is the amount of cheese on the burrito and in the hash brown casserole. If you don’t love cheese, maybe these won’t be for you. The final review is easy parking, quick and good service and food was great. 5 stars for our first visit.

I love this spot! I’ve been here a number of times and always have an amazing meal and incredible service. Today Angie was my server and she was lovely! We came here for breakfast on the 4th. Grateful they were open. This is my 2nd time eating at Toasted Yolk, first being in Pooler, GA. This restaurant is okay. Not a fan for either visit for their food. My Jackie morning rita was good. Our waitress was nice. First time having a 'chicken' omelet, and I do not recommend chicken for the meat. The reuben sandwich and sweet potato fries were better than my food.

Mademoiselle Paris - Breakfast, Lunch & French Bakery is a charming family-owned business with three locations in Sarasota. It offers traditional French bakery and café fare, including quiche, crepes, tartines, and an array of hot and cold sandwiches. The cozy atmosphere features both indoor and outdoor seating options with a delightful French vibe. Guests can enjoy delicious pastries, decadent meals, and perfectly paired espresso while being serenaded by an accordion player outside.
Our first visit was early January 2025 at around 12:45 PM. There was no wait, plenty of available tables both inside and outside. They have extra tables inside the foyer of the building the restaurant is in. We ordered a quiche Loraine, a panini, and a tuna crepe. All three were delicious.

We also had a cold brew late and a watermelon mimosa. YUM! Highly recommend this little Cafe.

Breakfast is my thing and this was definitely a good one! My omelette was perfect and the fruit fresh. The croissant was so good. I had to get two to bring home and a couple of chocolate croissants as well. I sat at a small table and was able to enjoy my cappuccino And do a little work on my computer as well. It was quite warm so I sat inside and the only reason the atmosphere is only four stars was because it did smell like something was burning on the griddle. The chocolate croissant got an A+ rating from my sonwho is a connoisseur so next time I’m in the area, I will definitely be picking up some more.

Walked in to order coffee and a pastry and the door was wide open and flies were on the pastry. The place looked run down and nobody knew what was going on. I won't be returning due to the lack of sanitary conditions. Not to mention the pastries weren't even fresh. They were at least a day old. I just cant get over the fact that flies landed on the pastries. There were at least 3 flies in the pastry area just throwing up on everything. Yuck!

Vietnamese restaurant
Little Saigon Bistro, a Vietnamese restaurant located at 2725 Beneva Rd in Sarasota, FL, is highly recommended for its delectable food and affordable menu. One of their standout dishes is the clay pot, which many patrons consider to be the best in the area. Despite potential time constraints for serving this dish after 7pm due to its preparation time of approximately 20-25 minutes, the staff accommodated customers' requests.
Updated review Little Saigon currently has new owners. They are very nice. The inside of the restaurant has a updated atmosphere which is amazing. Service is good. The Spring rolls are good but need to be rolled much tighter and the peanut butter sauce is to runny it needs to be thicker . The fried dumplings were very good and the Pho rare beef tendon was amazing this is the best broth I have tasted in any Vietnamese restaurant in Florida all in all it was a good experience

Very good broth, probably the best I’ve had in Florida so far. The portions are a very good size. Ban mi also a good biting size with we very much appreciated. Server is calm and nice. Note that the chicken pho still has the beef broth.

Pork egg rolls are super crispy, and the Spicy Beef Lemongrass soup was an herbaceous, meaty, generous portion! Maybe not as lemongrass-y as I’ve had before, but solid flavors and went down to the last spoonful. I will be back!

I went there for a Banh Mi sandwich The bread was a foot long, it was quite impressive. But they toasted it to much. So I cut the sandwich in half and as I took a few bites I thought where's the meat? When I opened it up there were two thin pork slices and the rest was vegetables so I called the gentleman over and asked him where's the meat? He said to me that's the way the sandwich comes and walked away from me. so I pretty much had all bread and vegetables and two thin slices of pork. So between the sandwich and a Thai iced tea it came to $14 and change. It was my first time going there from a friend that told me it was under New Management and the food was amazing. Well the food wasn't amazing and the gentleman was rude after I asked him where's the meat on the sandwich. So will I suggest it to anybody else 🙂‍↔️ No

I could say this is the most authentic Vietnamese food that I’ve ever had in Florida. The broth is very tasty and clear (a way to know the Pho is authentic or not is through the clearness of the broth) and I think the restaurant did a great job of this. My favorite part is Egg Roll. It’s very hard to find a restaurant that uses the rice paper for the egg roll (a traditional way of North side). The rolls are crispy and when you eat them with veggies, everything blends perfectly and for me, it’s such a very healthy dish. I ordered 1 special Banh Mi for togo because I was too full and it blew my mind. The sandwich is humongous. I love the butter and the filling, which is an ideal choice for breakfast or quick lunch. In general, 5 star for the great food and lovely owners!!!!! You guys are the best!!! Definitely will be back☺️

Had family dinner night here. I had a special bowl of phở, it was HUGE. I've been to a few other restaurants around here and I've got to say this place has the best phở out of all them. Ngon đỉnh còn no bụng ! Server was straight to it, kind and respectful. My wife had bún bò huế and she said it was great, the only thing lacking was khúc chân giò (pig leg). My little brother enjoyed his chicken fried rice. My mother had the pork bánh mì and she said it tasted like Vietnam, which is a win and my step dad ate every last drop of his phở gà. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Vietnamese food 😋

Oak & Stone is a family of restaurants with multiple locations in Southwest Florida, including Sarasota and Bradenton. The downtown Bradenton location is known for its rooftop bar, The Deck, which offers stunning views of the Manatee River. Each restaurant features a craft beer wall with about 100 brews to choose from. Visitors can enjoy artisan pizzas and slow-roasted oven wings that are soaked overnight and topped with Buffalo-style wing sauce and blue cheese crumbles.
Tuesday night dinner outing and stopped at the Oak & Stone. Staff met us at the door and were very pleasant. Gave us options of seats, which is always a nice option. The menu seemed to be limited compared to other restaurants, but pretzel sticks and pizza were good. They have 50 self-serve beers with a few ciders and wine, which was a neat concept allowing you to peruse and select those you wanted to try. Waitress was great, friendly, helpful and checked on us several times. Try to make it for the happy hour for some of the bargains.

Had a great time at Oak & Stone with my family and my pup! The outdoor seating was perfect for him, and the staff went the extra mile by bringing him a bowl of ice water—he loved it. Service was friendly, and the food was solid. The wings were a little overdone, but the flavors were on point. The burger was good, but the real star was the tuna poke bowl—absolutely amazing! Definitely heading back, and next time, I’m diving into their beer selection!

50 beers on tap. You get a bracelet and can pour as little or as much as you like and you are only charged by the ounce. This allows you to sample many different options. The That's My Jam Smash Burger was amazing. Ariel at the bar was amazing also. Highly recommended if you are in Sarasota.

Today was my first time visiting this establishment. Unfortunately, it was also my very worse experience EVER! I ordered a pepperoni pizza, take out. The hostess after been paid for my pizza told she.would bring it out once it was ready. I waited 30 minutes for my pizza. During does 30 minutes THREE waitresses stop by table and asked me what had I ordered and under what name. The funny thing was that ALL three waitresses went to the back of the room after asking me. The pizza area was 15 feet in front of me. ALL THREE waitresses disappeared after telling me they would check on my order. As a matter of fact, the last waitress even offer me and my wife complementary "water" for the wait. She too disappeared never to be seen again! So, after 40 minutes waiting, I got up went to the pizza guy told him my name and asked for my pizza. He was very apologetic. But by then, my pizza was cold. I had seen him boxed my pizza 20 minutes earlier. But NONE of the three waitresses had taken the time to get it. So, if you ask me, ALL THREE WAITRESSES SHOULD BE FIRE ASAP!!! Update: This gets better by minute. I was asked to send email so we can discuss my terrible experience. But Clark's email wasn't found.... See last pic

Gabriel made my experience here such a pleasant one! He recommended the delicious Cooler than a Cucumber which was refreshing and exactly what I was in the mood for. The wings here are phenomenal and will be a close second to my favorite which is the Grouper sandwich they have. The place is clean, the vibes are immaculate, and that wall is so cool. I'll have to try it on of these days when I can tackle my social anxiety. If you have the opportunity to come by, look for Gabriel! He's a delight and has solid recommendations if you ask.

Hayleigh did an amazing job sharing info on the beer wall and food menu. This was our first time in any Oak and Stone restaurant and she walked us through all of our options. The pizza was fresh and yummy - the perfect size for one so we could each get our favorite. Although the desserts coming out around looked amazing, we were too full to try any. Hayleigh was training a new server, so together, we had great service. We will request her when we come back! It was a fun dinner experience.

Nestled in Gulf Gate since 1996, Word of Mouth Downtown has become a beloved staple for food enthusiasts. This charming eatery prides itself on serving simple yet high-quality dishes in generous portions that keep patrons coming back for more. Their homemade pastries are a must-try, especially the towering breakfast sandwich featuring egg, cheese, and your choice of bacon or sausage on an English muffin, croissant, or buttermilk biscuit.
My wife and I just ate here for the 1st time. Great food! Everything just seemed very fresh and high quality. We ordered the Omelets with home fries. The omelets are huge! We split them in half to take some home. They also came with a choice of a "morning starter." I chose the blueberry muffin. My wife chose the cinnamon roll. They were both very unique, not overwhelmingly sweet like traditional breakfast foods. The blueberry muffin reminded me of a blueberry pie rather than a muffin, but it was delicious! We haven't tried anything else yet, but what we had was great!

I've been to this location once before and had a good experience. This time though, was atrocious. I was a waitress/bartender for over 8 years, so I am usually more forgiving than people who have never been in this industry. This experience was so bad, that I had to leave a review. We came for Sunday brunch...so it was busy of course. We sat inside and had a tall, older man as our server. He came over and got us started with water and coffee. We were waiting on two others and we hung out for a few minutes waiting for them. Our friends arrived and about 10 minutes later our server came back and got their water and coffee as well. Probably 15 minutes later he came back to get our order. We then sat there.....and sat there....and sat there, for over an hour. With no food. No water refills (we asked at least 5x just for some damn water) and got no explanation of where our food was or anything. I've been busy before, and have forgotten to put orders in, etc, but I always got a manager involved and communicated with my tables if I messed up. Lie about it and blame it on the kitchen if you must...but tell us what is going on. There was no good excuse to not even refill our waters. I think on the 3rd ask or so, I saw him go back behind the bar, and lean there talking to another server by the computer....and still didn't bring the water! After about an hour, one of our friends got up to ask where our food was...he made an offhand comment and disappeared. He then finally came by the table and said that food comes out every 20 seconds (what?! How does that explain our hour long wait?) and that we were number 3. (again, what does that mean!?) After about another 10 minutes, I was fed up. No apology, no manager, no explanation about why our breakfast food has now taken over an hour to get. I got up and my friends and I left. I was not going to sit there any longer and wait who knows how long to get food and then have to pay full price for it and then leave a tip!? No thank you. Staff appropriately on Sundays for brunch in downtown Sarasota. Its going to be busy, you know that! Looks like that is a huge complaint that other people have about this location as well. Needless to say, I won't be back. I doubt anyone at WOM cares about repeat customers because their customer service is hugely lacking. Its sad, its such a cute location and has all that enjoyable outdoor seating that is pet friendly. Get some more servers and train them better.

Had mos recently reach an alltime low. Used to be high quality and great service. Prices now are jacked up and qualitiy of food is terrible. Ordered a grilled cheese today. Used to be a choice of cheeses... today so processed it did not melt. All the HIPE... no focus on food, quality and presentation. One star only because 0 stars is not an option. Do NOT recommend either location. Very sad transition to new ownership!

Incredibly dissappointed - slow, non-caring service, food was over priced. Got a simple eggs Benedict and couldn't even cut through the English muffin it was so stale and hard. When expressed to waitress, she didn't seem to care.
Shawn O — Google review
We waited 45 minutes for egg Benedict's that were room temperature when they arrived. Told the waitress who asked if we wanted it reheated, and brought the plates back less than a minute later. The plates were hot but the food wasn't. Eggs and bread aren't good when microwaved, so we decided to leave, hungry and irritated after nearly an hour. They still had us pay for coffee and tea, which we only ordered because we wanted it with food. Not going back.

Double charge for tip . Left tip in cash on table and was charged again on my credit card. Price of food excessively high. Not any better than any average restaurant for half of the price. Owner is a lier. No credit card company will automatically add 20% to total bill without a signed recite with written in tip total. Will never go back to this ripoff restaurant again . NEED TO PERMANENTLY CLOSE ALL OFF THESE RESTAURANTS. believe l will take my receipt to the states attorney office and talk to them about fraud charges . In reading other reviews, l see you have a habit of doing the same thing to other people and this practice needs to be dealt with legally. There is to much of this happening today to people and something has to be done. I contacted you right after it happened and you gave me the runaround You lied to me about the bank automatically putting a 20% charge for tipping. THAT IS AN OUT AND OUT LIE. BANKS WON'T DO THAT. IT MUST BE KEYED IN THE CREDIT CARD MACHINE MANUALLY AND A RECEIPT SIGNED BY THE CARD HOLDER. I know you prey on people not paying attention to their credit card receipts and don't do anything about it, but I am.

Customers BEWARE!!!! The service is atrocious! Our server John was rude and inattentive, not to mention they tip themselves!!! I put the bill on my bank card and left a tip in cash only to find that they put an additional tip on my card and wouldn't refund the difference. BBB needs to be contacted. I've tried more than a dozen times to give this little place a chance. My last visit will be my last. I strongly discourage anyone from visiting this place!!!!
Sj P — Google review
The service is slow and the food quality has declined and prices have risen over the last 2 years. Even though it's nice to sit outside and it's close to my home, I won't be going back anytime soon.

Ann took me for Father's Day breakfast. We had coffee and she had scrambled eggs on toast and a fruit dish. I had 2 slices of avocado on toast with mango and arugula and feta cheese and a fresh fruit bowl. Everything was outstanding. I could not finish my meal. Too much food for me. The total bill was $33 without tip.
