Seafood restaurant
Owen's Fish Camp, located in downtown Sarasota, is a quintessential Florida seafood shack offering an array of imaginative seafood dishes in a casual setting. The restaurant is situated under a historic banyan tree gifted by Thomas Edison to Owen Burns, adding to its charm. The menu features popular items like Pan-Fried Lump Crab Cake and Cornmeal Crusted Catfish. The cozy backyard garden hosts small concerts during sunset, making it the perfect spot to unwind.
Owen’s is a vibe! Love the backyard waiting area. They always have live music & you can get drinks and different appetizers out back while you’re waiting for your table. Chargrilled oysters, fish dip, & Mexican coke all slapped. Have patience with the wait - it is worth it! We’ve been many times, with a group of 4 & under we were always seated pretty quickly. 5+ you’re going to be waiting awhile so enjoy the backyard & don’t plan on rushing. The food is amazing, we love the daily fish specials. Scamp & snapper were both great. Fried shrimp basket, fried green tomato salad, & the key lime pie are all great.
Victoria D — Google review
We hit Owens Fish Camp during our recent vacation and it did not disappoint. While not on the water, the ambience, covered by trees and nature while tucked away near downtown, was great. We sat outside on a warm summer night. The service was really good. We had everything we needed and yet the servers weren’t intrusive. It was our first time to Owens and they gave great recommendations on what to try. We started with the Gumbo and Crab Cake appetizers. Both were flavorful and the crab cake was over stuffed with breading. For entrees we went with Shrimp Baskets & the Fresh Catch plates with Scamp and Grouper with Butter sauces. The fresh was cooked perfectly (meaning not over) and you could taste the freshness. We ended up splitting a Key Lime Pie for dessert. Everything went well and we will certainly be back on our next trip. There’s also a mercantile shop connected to the restaurant to kill time while waiting for a table. We were there mid week and there wasn’t live music but next time we’ll try on a weekend to hear some tunes. All in all, highly recommend Owens Fish Camp for a great all-around dining experience.

Sooo Owen’s Fish Camp was on my list to try when visiting Sarasota and I’m glad we made it! My mom loves seafood, so whenever she visits me, we make it a point to check out a seafood spot. Walking up, you definitely get those fish camp, local vibes. We arrived “early” and it was already packed, but luckily found some seating. Our waitress was patient and helped guide us through the menu. The decor matched the theme perfectly, and outside they had a big backyard area with live music and another bar. There’s also a store connected to the restaurant with different items to browse. We truly enjoyed our food, left stuffed and sleepy! My only feedback is that the dishes were a little heavy on the sodium. The seasoning was good, but at times the salt was noticeable. It didn’t ruin anything, just something that stood out. If you’re in the area, this is definitely a spot not to miss! What was ordered: Oysters Rockefeller w/ Crab, Spinach & Hollandaise = delicious Hot Crab Dip = very good & loved the Ritz crackers pairing Naked Fish w/ Beans & Collards = flavorful, but a bit too salty Cornmeal Crusted Catfish w/ Spicy Collards, Grits & Brown Butter = fish fried perfectly, collards salty, but grits were spot on

Owens Burns Court will not take reservations and they only seat full parties - I knew that going in. We had a large group that I was happy to seat at different tables. Outdoors has larger tables but it was darn hot when we went. 6 of us showed up - got a table right away at 5pm on a Monday. Little bit later 5 more showed up and luckily got a table right next to the other one! Then our last 2 stragglers arrived as they were driving from further away and they got seated right near us in the bar high tops area. Service was wonderful - Brandi was awesome, front of house were ingenious in suggesting the high tops at the bar so we could all be close by. Food came out super fast and hot. Everyone was served at each table together. We were trying to make a 6:30pm movie at Burns Cinema next door and had plenty of time to move our cars and get tickets. Everyone enjoyed their food - Corvina, Scamp, Trout, Crab Cake, Shrimp Salad, Jambalaya, so much more - all was perfect - and always fun. Music starts at 5:30pm and the outdoors area is super cute, when it's a wee bit cooler.

My mother & I came and sat at the bar. It was wonderful service. Both bartenders were so amazing and sweet. The fish special which was scamp, was the best grouper I have ever had. My mom even said it tasted like lobster. She loved the succotash. My salad was incredible! The atmosphere is amazing & they had live music & food out back while you wait for your table!
Hannah R — Google review
The hype is real. No reservations and no wait list as stated on google maps. Went on Sat night about 615p and waited about 40 min. Was directed to the backyard which served some small bites. Had grilled oysters which were great. had some house cocktails whiskey lemonade and bourbon tea which were not bad. Plenty of seats with a live performer. Met 'Beaver' who said he was the OG. He had taken our orders at the grill/drinks area and came around when it got less busy there asking if we needed anything. He gave us some tips on what to order and he was spot on. The best thing was the chicken fried lobster tails. Should have ordered 2 orders. The garlic snails were also good. Nice sauce served over mashed potatoes, all coming in a bowl. Had peel n eat shrimp. tasty but didn't realize it was cold. Would have been great warm. Should not have gotten the hot crab dip. Kinda fishy tasting and wasn't that good. I did like the ritz crackers. I ordered the low country boil for 2. Was quite good. Gave you a good amount of shrimp. Most of the clamshells were empty and only could find a few lying around. Mussels just ok. potatoes were very good. I should have gotten the order of crab legs by itself and also something else. Gumbo was good. No okra tho. clam chowda was great. My son had jambalaya, good but not as good as New Orleans. His fiancee had pasta that was great. Wife had Scamp grouper that was excellent. Server Claudia was very nice. Kind of quiet. And Beaver came around again! Asked how the food was. I told him everything was great except the Crab dip. He said, "I never told you to get that" He was great and added to our wonderful evening. I will definitely tell my friends and come back next time i'm in town.

Owen's was recommended by a friend who travels to Sarasota often. The fish was great along with the sides...perfection. I sat at the bar. Made quick friends from other Midwestern parts! Margarita tasted like key like pie. I had the Wahoo-blackened with green tomato salsa, cheesy grits and collard greens. Every bite...yumm!!
Cathy V — Google review
Super cool little spot, was referred to us by Joe at Tommy Bahamma. Great recommendation, service, drinks and food are good! I'm a non seafood guy and the burger and fries were 🔥 For anyone wondering (non seafood people looking to go with seafood people 😆 ) the joint didn't smell fishy and the fries didn't have a fishy taste either (seems like they have separate fryers (as any establishment should) )✌🏽

Seafood restaurant
Marina Jack is a popular seafood spot in downtown Sarasota, offering both upscale and casual dining experiences with beautiful waterfront views. The Blue Sunshine Patio provides diners with a scenic experience right on Sarasota Bay next to docked yachts, while the second floor dining room offers panoramic water views. The Deep Six Lounge also features outdoor seating for guests to enjoy lunch and dinner. The menu includes popular dishes such as grilled grouper, potato-crusted grouper, and baked oysters Rockefeller.
On Sunday we had lunch at Marina Jack before going to a movie. Everything was perfect. The Poke Bowl was fresh, delicious and did not contain rice like many restaurants use as filler. The best in the area in my opinion. The service was first rate; attentive, polite, upbeat, and fast. And, of course, the views were fantastic.
Bob P — Google review
My go-to place for my special occasions. The view from the dining room on the second floor is spectacular! And while the food is not, the service and the atmosphere are always top notch. Our waitperson, Robert, added a special dimension to our most recent experience : joyful, enthusiastic and always helpful and considerate. As pescatarians/vegetarians, we three have several dietary limitations, and Robert was on top of that, careful to inform us of any ingredients that might be a problem for any of us. The food is okay, not nearly as spectacular as the view, however. Marina Jack makes you feel welcome and valued as a customer. I appreciated the email after we got home, but I would have appreciated it more, if it contained a link to this feedback page. Just a little thing.
Carole M — Google review
Absolutely loved our experience at Marina Jack! The food was delicious! I had the grilled chicken sandwich and it was grilled to perfection. Juicy, flavorful, and just the right amount of char! The fries were equally impressive — soft and fluffy on the inside with a perfectly crispy crunch on the outside. The views were absolutely impeccable. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
Morgan R — Google review
Stopped by for a 1st visit. Our waiter Matt was spot on with good suggestions, service and a friendly personality. We ordered the grouper sandwich and Thai chx sliders. Both delicious. We sat inside by the windows but there are two outside dining areas. This looks like a fun place to come with family or friends. They have banquet facilities upstairs. Great marina views. Would come again for sure!
Janine P — Google review
The food was very delicious and fresh. The staff was very attentive and I really enjoyed being surrounded by yachts. There are some seagulls around, but they are easily distracted and you can shoo them away. It is a little pricey, but is worth with the atmosphere.
Kimberly F — Google review
Cute restaurant, nice view, good service. We got a coconut margarita that was the BEST marg I’ve ever had in my entire life! Caesar salad was good and key lime pie. Sliders were OK.

We just spent 4 nights at the new Transient Docks, what a fantastic stay!!! Due to a front, we had to delay our planned arrival by several days, the staff was very accommodating and moved our reservation to our new requested dates. Upon approach to the marina we were quickly given our slip assignment and met at the slip by one of the dock hands, Drew. He was extremely helpful with the lines and even hooked up our shore power! The icing on the cake was when Savannah Biggert, Assistant General Manager, showed up with a bouquet of flowers and a Happy Anniversary card. I had mentioned to Savannah that we were coming down to celebrate our anniversary when we had made reservations a couple weeks before. She truly sets the bar high!! We absolutely recommend Marina Jack and will certainly be back!!! Scott and Mary Wheeler MV Salt Wife

Great server Robert. But the food not so great. Nursing home level. I got Caesar salad with sea bass and husband got prime Rib. Obviously you pay for the view here.

Eclectic restaurant
Duval's Fresh. Local. Seafood is a top-notch dining spot in Sarasota, offering high-quality seafood and meats in a modern setting. The restaurant prides itself on sourcing ingredients from local fishermen and farmers to ensure freshness in every dish. With a menu featuring New England fish and chips, lobster mac n cheese, and cashew-encrusted chicken, visitors can indulge in a variety of delectable options.
I’m visiting Sarasota for the first time on a work trip and decided to take a walk around the area. I started heading to a sushi spot, but right next to it I noticed Duval with signs saying “#1” and “Best Seafood,” so I decided to give it a try instead. As soon as I walked in, the host was so friendly and welcoming and seated me outside. My server Jennifer was the absolute sweetest. She made great recommendations and treated me like a regular even though it was my first visit. The food was beyond delicious. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Sarasota.
Lina M — Google review
We dine on a Saturday at 8:45 pm, a party of 7 (family reunion). The servers were all friendly and diligent. It was a quiet place where we could all communicate nicely (we had a long table). We ordered: lobster bisque soup, sesame crusted tuna, Duval's seafood sample (pictured my half, I shared the order half with mom), lobster Mac and cheese, and fish and chips. All the dishes were delicious. As desserts we ordered: bread pudding (an original and delicious version of the traditional one also a portion big enough for 2), Seasonal Crème Brûlée (creamy and delicious), and blueberry cheesecake (I didn't like it at all, sadly.. the texture and flavor were not appealing for a cheesecake lover as I am). It was a great experience for us all
Tammy R — Google review
Really enjoyed our time at Duvall’s in Sarasota. Our waiter was so nice and welcoming. The margarita and cosmopolitan were both great, and the seafood was fresh and delicious. The place has a really nice vibe inside and outside, relaxed but still elegant. I’d definitely come back.
Mayi B — Google review
Stopped here because I was craving seafood. I did not have reservations so we had to eat outside. (Not a big deal but on certain days this could be a deal breaker). I started with a drink reccomended by waitress and then they ended up coming back and saying they where out of coconut puree. So I changed to a blujito. It was good but very very very minty. For appetizers I ordered the muscles and they were good. I probably would not order them again. For entree i got the Grouper which i had never had and I thought it was really good! The wife did the fish and chips and the fish/breading was cooked amazing but... it had no flavor. So bland. If you didnt get starter sauce there would have been no flavor. Overall it was good food but I would not go out of my way to eat here. If you are close then it would be nice place to stop
Shane M — Google review
Duval’s offers fresh seafood and exceptional service, making for a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience from start to finish. The meal was consistently satisfying—from the appetizer to the dessert. The mussels in cream sauce were particularly memorable, rich in flavor and perfectly prepared. Service was attentive and professional throughout. The restaurant’s ambiance strikes a balance between upscale and relaxed, with a refined coastal atmosphere that enhances the overall experience.
Jane P — Google review
We had an incredible meal at Duval's and I can't wait to return in the future! The team at Duval's was friendly and personable, and made every effort to ensure that we had a great experience, including a phone call the next day to ensure we were completely satisfied (we were!) We made reservations, and were in on a Friday evening. The restaurant and bar area were both busy but it never felt loud. The atmosphere is relaxed but very nice. Our server, McKenzie, was amazing! She was attentive, friendly, knew all the answers to our questions, helped guide us through our dining experience perfectly. All of the food was really great - highlights from our table were the calamari and the grouper, the sides were great too - spinach and sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. All this was followed by the bread pudding (wow!) and the gluten free blueberry cheesecake. I have to say that I almost didn't order the GF blueberry cheesecake but i'm SO glad I did - the best GF dessert I've had in a long while! I highly recommend adding Duval's to your rotation of downtown restaurants, or trying it for a special occasion. We are so glad we did!

***Update: The manager Jonathan called me about 15 minute after I got up and left. He apologized and invited me to come back for a better experience. I had already went to a different restaurant nearby but agreed to come back on Sunday. This time was a completely different experience. My server Mackenzie was great. She was attentive and gave great recommendations. Jonathan stopped by my table a couple times to check in. I’m very happy this second time around. Plus the food was amazing. I highly recommend the seafood sampler. Thank you to Jonathan and Mackenzie for rectifying the issue. *** (Previous 1 star rating) I had a reservation at 6:30pm. Arrived a little early around 6:20 and was seated right away. After that three different servers ignored me for over 25 minutes. People were seated after me and quickly greeted. Even ordered appetizers and food had arrived. Still no one acknowledged me. I flagged a server down and asked if I could order a drink. He didn’t greet me at all and just asked if I had been assigned a server. After that I left. No need for my business. Just walked out at 6:45pm.

Wow such a great place for a nice relaxing lunch, cant wait to come back for dinner. We had amazing service! Ate outside since we brought our dog, and the lady serving us brought water in a bowl for our dog. So kind. The lunch specials where great. Since it was our first time we got to try a few things for variety. Best crab cakes weve ever had, shrimp po boy was amazing, and the lobster bisque delicious. First time having a po boy, and the sauce that was on it was sooo delicious including the sauce with the crab cakes. Such a chill nice area to eat outside. We will be back!

Walt's Fish Market Restaurant is a historic seafood spot that has been in business for over 100 years. Originally established as a fish market in 1941, it has evolved into a full-service restaurant and fish market. The restaurant offers fresh seafood meals, including gator bites and hush puppies, while the market provides patrons with the opportunity to purchase fresh fish for cooking at home.
We were pointed toward Walt’s by some friendly locals while out playing pool, and I’m so glad we took their advice. From start to finish, this place delivered big-time. We kicked things off with the Oyster Rockefeller, which set the tone, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. For the main course, our group went all out and shared a variety of dishes: the Alaskan Fish & Chips, Captain’s Platter, Charred Grill Plate, and the Raspberry Chipotle Scallops. Every single dish was fresh, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. You could taste the quality of the seafood and the care in the kitchen. We wrapped up the meal with their Key Lime Pie and Bread Pudding, both were a perfect sweet finish to an incredible meal. If you’re in the area and want true local flavor with great vibes and even better seafood, Walt’s is a must. Trust the locals on this one!

Nice local vibe. The food with good (not anything to write home about… but good enough). We had a great time over all and the waitress was very nice. This is a place we would go to again if we lived locally, it was worth the trip for sure.

Had such a wonderful lunch here today - we got the clam chowder, peel OBG shrimp app, grouper bowl, steamed snow crab & blueberry cobbler cheesecake and everything was cooked so well and was delicious! We had great service and everything was very clean as well. Fun beach vibes inside make it a really great lunch spot, highly recommend!

Absolutely a must eat restaurant in Sarasota. We stopped here on the way to Siesta Key beach and we enjoyed our lunch so much. Everything was delish. Lobster bites is to die for. The cocktail was strong and nice. Very friendly staff. Strongly recommend.
Hannah F — Google review
This is a great local place to enjoy seafood! The service is good. The atmosphere completely fits the food. The meal is exactly what many want when we visit the beach. The one downside is that there was a guy smoking around the outside seating area, which did take away from the dining experience. If you love seafood, then make time for Walt's Fish Market!!!
Fulton B — Google review
Loved it, the fish spread was delicious. We had a party of 5 & enjoyed the Bob Pot for 2, Captains Platter, Alfredo for or non seafood eater and chicken tenders for the 6 year old. We all loved what we chose, we will definitely come back next trip
Michelle G — Google review
Had a great lunch. I had grouper tacos and husband had grouper sandwich. Recommended although I had a little bit of sticker shock. One soda only and it was 65 bucks with the tips. Great food though.
Claudia S — Google review
The food delivered great value for the price and brought back memories of the seafood joints I grew up with. The lobster bisque was hands-down the best I’ve had in Florida—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. My brother was equally impressed with his Paella, calling it spot-on. If I had one suggestion, it would be to season the fish a bit more before cooking or breading—it could use a touch more salt to really bring out the flavor. As for drinks, my wife ordered a Piña Colada, but it tasted more like a blend of alcohol and ice than a proper cocktail. We swapped it out for a margarita, and that was a total win—smooth, refreshing, and exactly what we were hoping for.

Fine dining restaurant
Located on St. Armands Circle in Sarasota, Crab & Fin Restaurant has been a beloved fixture for over 40 years. Renowned for its fresh seafood, the restaurant flies in whole fish from around the world daily, offering a diverse menu that changes with the market. Whether it's simple pan-seared mahi-mahi or steamed stone crab claws, Gulf treasures are presented with finesse. The restaurant also boasts an impressive raw bar and sidewalk tables perfect for people-watching.
They deserve 5 stars! We got here within 30 minutes of closing and they delivered top notch service, as if we were VIP. We sat outside under some beautifully lit trees. Barbara was our server and she was excellent confirming our selections. The manager she was delightful as well. Very lovely place. We’re excited to come back and dine in to try more menu items. Octopus was THE BEST I’ve had! The tuna app was TOP NOTCH!! The ceviche was unlike any I’ve had. We drank the cup empty.

This restaurant has one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The food was very nice, I recommend the Half Pound Angus Burger, it was very juicy and flavorful with the tomato, lettuce, onions, and a pickle as the side. The Lobster Bisk was also very nice. Excellent service as well, I would recommend this place! Thank you for hosting us.

The best restaurant on the circle! So many amazing dishes to choose from and they never disappoint. Love the live music and the great servers. Best menu item is actually a lunch-only options: Blue Crab + Jumbo Shrimp Quesadilla.

Wanted a good steak dinner and boy did we get one! The service was super friendly and attentive. Drinks and food were superb. We took advantage of the Savor Sarasota menu and it was worth every penny. Even got a great seat to practice shadow puppets…lol.

Crab & Fin Restaurant in the heart of St. Armands Circle is an absolute gem! The food is phenomenal, with their daily fresh catch of the day stealing the show—always perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. The outdoor seating area offers a front-row seat to the vibrant energy of the Circle, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. The lively vibe, combined with top-notch service and a menu that celebrates seafood and one of the best cheeseburgers, makes this a must-visit spot in Sarasota. Whether you're a local or just passing through Lido Key, Crab & Fin delivers a dining experience that’s as fresh as it is delightful!

The food was amazing! I loved that they start you with a fish spread. The octopus and Cesar salad were good. We came for the stone crab and it did not disappoint. We didn't have reservations so we were sat in an awkward side room, so I would recommend them for a better atmosphere.

Phillippi Creek Oyster Bar, affectionately known as "the Creek" by locals, is a beloved waterfront restaurant located just a short distance from downtown Sarasota. This long-standing eatery offers a casual atmosphere and stunning views of Phillippi Creek. Known for its excellent oysters on the half shell, seafood paella, and stone crab (in season from October through April), it's a go-to spot for Southern-style seafood dishes like gumbo and fried gator chunks.
A location we have been to many times that never disappoints. If you are visiting Sarasota then Phillippi Creek should be on your to-do list. The food is always delicious, the service always attentive, and the atmosphere is quaint. I recommend the tilapia and red potatoes.

When I got my Asian poke bowl, it looked like a masterpiece!!! I’m in love with the setting and restaurant. It’s right on the water as tourists go by on boat tours. The service is par excellence, the food is fresh and made to order, the restaurant is throughly cleaned and full or vibrancy! The menu is extensive and during the summer time they have a special menu. I can’t wait to be back for their seafood boil! My server was perfect! Thank you Brad.

It was a beautiful day and we chose to eat outside on the deck. Waiter was totally unfamiliar with the menu and when the Tiki tuna wrap came in it was served on lettuce rather than a wrap and no wasabi. My grouper wrap was a little fishy and it was wet. The beers were nice and cold and the fries were hot and tastey. Nice view of the creek but would not hurry back.

Oh wow, they have such delicious food! Everything we ordered was delicious. We went at night, the vibe was a bit dark but once inside, it's really nice. I had the combination seafood boil, which can feed 2, it is a must! The crab cakes was also good. My hubby got fish tacos, he really liked that.

Oct 1st 2024 Phillippi Creek Oyster Bar saved the day for my family. My daughter was scheduled to be married on Lido beach at Limetree Beach Resort but Hurricane Helene crushed those dreams and plans. We stopped to eat at Phillippi Creek after picking up wedding decorations from Limetree and I had a thought that maybe we could have the wedding on their dock. I asked the managers Ricky and Jorge if it would be possible and they said YES!!! With only a few days to change coarse Lisa and her team with Tied The Knot weddings made it happen. It turned out to be the best day ever for all of us!!! I can't thank the staff at Phillippi Creek for saving the day and the the excellent service they provided the wedding party and all of the delicious food as always!!! My favorite place to eat 🥰

The restaurant has beautiful views and the staff was super friendly. We had Valentina and she was amazing!!! The food was delicious. We had the stuffed grouper and the steamed dungeness crab dinner. So good!

Kind of disappointed. Very small portions. Ordered fried clams extra crispy. They came out luke warm and not fresh cooked crispy. Flavor was fair and ahain small portion. Fried clams were served hot but small order for the price and only a few were large enough to dip. Needed a spoon to finish most of the order. Hush puppies were hot but not very flavorfull. Waiter was amazing and very friendly. All the staff i interacted with were professional and pleasant. Dont know if I'll be back.

Dry Dock Waterfront Grill is a casual waterfront restaurant located at the Boathouse marina on Longboat Key, offering panoramic views of Sarasota Bay. It has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Scenic Restaurants in America for its picturesque setting. The menu features seafood specialties such as grouper sandwiches, lobster rolls, and Boathouse Burgers.
Great food! Great service. When my husband said he was taking me to lunch, I was thinking we were going to another restaurant. I was quite glad when he pulled up to Dry Dock Waterfront Grill as I knew I didn't have to worry about what I would order. Of course, I ordered the best thing on the menu: the seafood pasta with garlic and wine sauce (I forgot to order it with extra garlic though!! 🤦🏿‍♀️). My husband ordered the Tuscan cream sauce pasta with blackened grouper. He said it was delicious. I wouldn't know since I was gobbling down my own deliciousness so quickly! 🤷🏿 We gave the virgin strawberry daiquiris. They were ok, a little icy and lacked the sweetness of some others. The outdoor patio was breezy and nice. They really try to make it comfortable for the guests and it shows. DDWG is a bit pricey, and it doesn't look like they have a lunch menu (unless I missed it??), so if you are budget conscious, you'll have to choose your menu items carefully. Whatever you choose, especially if it's one of their pastas, you'll be glad you did! Happy eating! 😊

Im not much of a seafood person but this place was phenomenal. I had a few locals tell me how good this place is and it did not disappoint. Their coconut shrimp and their category 5 shrimp were phenomenal. And the lobster rolls had you craving for some more. Highly recommend!

The food at Dry Dock Waterfront Grill was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The views overlooking Sarasota Bay were stunning and made the whole experience worth the visit. Carly, our waitress, was top-notch. She had fantastic people skills, made us feel genuinely welcome, and took great care of us throughout the meal. You can tell she loves what she does. Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. Highly recommend!

On vacation we rarely eat at the same place twice but we did here! Went early for dinner around 4 to 5pm. Did have to wait a few minutes but we'll worth it. They have deck seating and 2 and 3 floor seating, all with great views of the bay. Our first visit, our waitress was exceptional! Our meal superb! Had grouper, veggies and real mashed potatoes. This was the best meal of the week!!! My second was sea bass, red potatoes and asparagus. Other plates were delighful chicken. Veggies so tender. Highly recommend 👌 FYI watch out for Barney Fife with the Longboat Police dept. They work Gulf Blvd with their radar guns!

🤤 o m g. Delish! Amazing vibe, delicious food, and phenomenal service. The entrees are very generous portions with a delicious salad. I got the blackened grouper and my partner got the bacon wrapped scallops and coconut shrimp. I did not have a bad bite of food all night. We had an amazing sunset to complement dinner time too! They had a ton of fans running outside to keep the air moving to prevent overheating. Our server was even kind enough to take a cute picture of me and my boo at sunset :) worth the splurge!

Exceptional food and service! AND the view of the water was amazing! Our server Sylvia was amazing and so knowledgeable and patient as it was our 1st time there but definitely not our last! Red snapper was so delish as we're the crab cakes and crab claws! Upscale restaurant but doesn't make you feel out of place!! Loved it

Lovely! We wanted a special place for our anniversary. My husband found Dry Dock Waterfront Grill. We were offered the option to sit inside or out (we had a reservation and went at lunchtime) and chose to sit inside which was on the second floor overlooking the water. We had a hard time picking what we wanted to eat since everything sounded so good. My husband ordered the Lobster rolls with fries while I ordered the Grouper tacos (fried) with coleslaw. SO GOOD! One of those meals you don’t want to stop eating even when you are full. Everything was prepared perfectly. The coleslaw was some of the best I’ve ever had! We were very happy. Can’t wait to go back! (Already decided what I want).

Went for my bday dinner with my bf and we really enjoyed it. Lobster bisque wasn’t my fave I’ve ever had had a really fishy aftertaste but everything else was really good. We got the bacon wrapped scallops, soup, and we each got a pasta - one snapper & one seafood and they were great. Worth waiting to sit by the waterfront if you can get a reservation, gorgeous view of the water. They also had bug spray which came in so handy and was very thoughtful. Recommend the salted caramel cheesecake to finish it off. Some cons were we mentioned it was my bday when making the reservation and nothing special was done or mentioned about it so kind of wish we picked somewhere else for the special occasion in that regard. We had a late reservation (8:45) and it seemed like the workers really wanted to go home because they were packing up fans etc early which takes away from the experience overall. We deserve the same experience diners got at 5/6 and staff should close up once patrons leave it’s just kind of rude overall and makes customers feel rushed to leave and we shouldn’t feel that way or they should not be taking late reservations if they want people to hurry up and go. Overall still enjoyed it but could’ve been better based on the cons of the overall dining experience

The Old Salty Dog is a British-style pub located in various prime spots, including Sarasota's City Island and Lido Key. It offers a picturesque view of the bay and provides a relaxed atmosphere for visitors to enjoy live music while indulging in beer-battered hot dogs, fish n chips, grouper sandwiches, and their famous plump and juicy chicken wings tossed in Old Bay Hot Sauce.
The restaurant is right on the water. You cannot beat the view! It had a local vibe, which we love since we're true Floridians. The food was fresh and delish! We had the grouper, blackened, sandwich and the Captain seafood platter. We also enjoyed some nice cold beverages: ice tea and a local beer. Enjoy!

This was one of the best restaurants we ate at. Everything was great. The food was above average!! The Service was fantastic!! Several of the workers stopped and talked to us. We set on the deck overlooking the water. This is a must if you are near the area. The sunset on the water is a must see.

What an incredible meal! The Old Salty Dog is always a must-visit whenever we're in Florida, and this trip was no exception. We finally tried the loaded Old Salty Dog, and I deeply regret not ordering it sooner. It absolutely lives up to the hype and is a game-changer. The atmosphere was perfect. We sat right by the water, which made for a beautiful and relaxing experience. The kids had a blast too, enjoying their meals along with a delicious strawberry smoothie. They also loved the freebie that came with their food and were so excited to take it home. On top of that, the peel and eat shrimp were out of this world—fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. We'll be back again and again!

We had a stunning lunch here. Everything was super fresh and crisp. Neat lobster roll I’ve had in a long time and their sweet potato fries were delicious. Service was friendly and super attentive. Robbie was so sweet and great at serving us. We saw a manatee swimming right by us and lots of fish, jelly fish and dolphins in the distance. Amazing location for the perfect relaxing lunch on the water.

We absolutely love this Old Salty Dog location near St. Armands Circle in Sarasota. The restaurant is waterfront and right next to a marina/boat yard and marine center. There are always boats being launched, refueling, or just cruising by. On a sunny day, it is a perfect waterfront spot in Sarasota to boat watch. The Pelicans are always swooping for fish and putting on a show for restaurant guests. You can also occasionally see jelly fish, we just saw a couple hundred swimming by on our last visit. Rain or shine, Old Salty Dog is always worth a visit. The patio gets the perfect amount of sun on a sunny day with light sun shades, a gulf breeze, and the perfect sunset back drop. On rainy days, you might have to wait a minute for an inside table or seat at the bar because they stay busy, but it is worth the wait. As the name implies, they are known for their deep fried hot dogs and dog bites which are always a favorite. The burgers also hit the spot for a change up and the seafood doesn’t disappoint. If you’re looking for a frozen drink on a hot day, a delicious rum runner, or just a beer they have something for everyone. The parking lot gets full pretty quick with limited spaces while they are working on the building next door, but additional lots are across the street and a short 2 minute walk. We’d highly recommend Old Salty Dog for a casual waterfront restaurant in Sarasota with good food, good drinks, and the ability to come in your swim suit by boat or car.

You cannot beat food right by the water. We both enjoyed a grouper sandwich, mine was blackened. My wife's was fried in a tempura like beer batter. Both were absolutely delicious, shared some regular fries and some sweet potato fries. The service was quick, there were a couple of local beers on tap. And whatever you do, do not skip the key lime pie!

If you want the beach vibe while eating dinner this is the place for it. If you imagine having a drink with the weather breeze blowing on you then look no further. Sitting there while a boat floats by, a pelican lands 10 ft from you, and seeing a rainbow was amazing. The food wasn't amazing, but the atmosphere makes up for it. I got a hamburger and an order of the Salty dog nuggets. I had a wonderful time eating here.

After a day of apartment hunting we were hungry and The Old Salty Dog was right on our route and super convenient. We got some mozzarella sticks, burger with fries and the hotdog bites. Not super excited about the hog dog bites Sadly but we were so hungry it served a purpose. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was perfect to end the day. I would love to stop back when I come back to the area.

With locations in Knoxville, Huntsville, Fort Myers, and Sarasota, it has become a go-to destination for those seeking aged steaks and fresh seafood prepared over mesquite wood grills. The restaurant's intimate feel makes it perfect for small gatherings or couples looking for an unforgettable dining experience.
My finance and I took a trip down here before our wedding to destress and we decided to go to Connor’s because it looked like great quality food that wouldn’t break the bank. We walked in and were immediately greeted and seated. It was gorgeous inside!!! Our server Mandy was so nice and knowledgeable about the menu! She made great conversation! She was so sweet! This is a great place to celebrate special events or have a nice date night. The booths and tables are nicely spaced out for privacy and the lighting is low, but still bright. Service was quick and friendly. Our server came back to check on us often to make sure we had everything we needed. I got the grouper which was delicious and very filling. The creamed spinach was wonderful as well. The fried calamari was cooked perfectly, still tender, but with crisp breading.

We dined at Connor’s Steakhouse in Sarasota tonight with our two children to celebrate our anniversary, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Our server, Kelly, was exceptional, providing service marked by unparalleled attentiveness, warmth, and precision. Her ability to anticipate our needs and create a welcoming atmosphere elevated our special evening to new heights. The manager further enhanced our experience by personally stopping by our table to ensure we were enjoying ourselves, a thoughtful and gracious gesture that underscored the restaurant’s commitment to guest satisfaction. This personal touch made us feel truly valued. The food at Connor’s was absolutely phenomenal. The steak, without question the finest in Sarasota, was prepared with masterful skill, delivering unmatched flavor and tenderness. Every dish we enjoyed showcased the restaurant’s dedication to culinary excellence, making this the most memorable meal we’ve ever had. Connor’s Steakhouse delivered an unforgettable evening that perfectly honored our anniversary. We are deeply grateful for the impeccable service and exquisite cuisine, and we eagerly look forward to our next visit to this remarkable establishment.

Very nice and relaxing setup. Great for Anniversary and Birthday celebrations. Food came out nice and hot could tell it wasn’t just sitting waiting for the server pick up. The drinks were perfect!

My experience at Connor’s was a disappointment. The food was just okay, nothing to rave about compared to the many other steakhouses I have experienced. Although, I will say, the Korean style bbq ribs was probably the highlight of the night. I thought the service was below par as well. Our waiter seemed to forget about us for most parts of our dinner. We went on a Sunday night and it was not busy at all.

It was my husband’s birthday and they made sure he felt special! The food was amazing, atmosphere and service were great! Thank you so much for wonderful experience, we will definitely come back! Dante and Katarina P.s. all these “bad” reviews are made from very petty people!

I ordered the shrimp cocktail and was very disappointed. The shrimp didn’t look or taste fresh, and the presentation was sloppy for a restaurant of this level. I politely asked for a replacement, but the second plate was just as bad. Honestly, I’ve had better shrimp from Costco. For the price and reputation, I expected much higher quality and care for customers.

Great affordable option for a birthday or anniversary. The service was a bit slow but our server was nice. Only think I wasn’t much of a fan of was the brussels sprouts. I think the flavor could’ve been a little more developed, but everything else was great!

With daily live music acts and a menu featuring delicious burgers and margaritas, visitors can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere while taking in stunning views of Sarasota Bay.
While at Bayfront Park in Sarasota, we stopped at O'Leary's Tiki Bar! The atmosphere is perfect and it was very busy! The bartender was friendly! Definitely recommend and will go back!

This is a restaurant right on the bay in Sarasota. There is no table service. You order at a counter. You get paged when your order is ready. We sat outside right on the water, which was nice, but it was hot. We ordered nachos with cheese as an appetizer, which is weird because you get it at the same time as the rest of your order. The nachos themselves reminded me of nachos you might get at a little league baseball game that come in a bag. They were mediocre at best. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger felt like it was made from a frozen patty, and the fries were just okay. My tea came in a disposable cup. The food is overpriced for the quality. I don't think that I will ever come back.

Counter-service bar and restaurant on the water. Tables under a tiki, tables on a patio and tables on sand, progressively. 1 long line for beer and cocktails, 1 long line for food. They did seem to turn things over very quickly. Live music at 6. Staff is friendly. There's a nice public park nearby work water sprinklers to run around in. O'Leary's is dog friendly. Tourist pricing, but not bad.

This is a good place to get quick food or drinks by the water/bay. They have a few groups of benches/tables underneath the shaded cover. There is also an outdoor bar for drinks. You order food at the indoor counter and the options are pretty standard and they have a variety of appetizers. The mozzarella sticks and jalapeño poppers are fried to order and came out hot! Everything is newly built after being impacted from a hurricane last year.
Mayur P — Google review
Such a beautiful sea-side place to grab drinks and food! They are currently (2025) building an outdoor tiki bar, but indoor ordering and tables outside are still all available. The food was delicious and decently priced. We had a great time outside eating and enjoying the sunset.

Great location. Awesome waterfront views. Lots of table so plenty of seating. Location is absolutely amazing. The food however - I probably won’t come here for food ever again. We ordered Mahi Tacos and chicken nachos. We got the extras like salsa and sour cream. They did not give us the salsa for either of our meal and the sour cream was a tiny little package. Crazy that you gotta pay .75 for each. The tacos were lacking big time. They were kinda dry and just not enough in it. It would make it so much better if they just add some veggies and sauce. The nachos really tasted like they came in a packaged kit. Somewhat stale and the sauce just not very good. I would probably come back here for drinks. Kinda hard to screw that up. But the food was super disappointing. The value of what you pay vs what you get is just not there.

Brick's Smoked Meats in Sarasota is a popular spot known for its slow-smoked, Texas-style BBQ served alongside craft cocktails. The restaurant features a cool, light-strung space with indoor dining and bar areas decorated in cowboy style, as well as ample outdoor seating on the shaded State Street. The star of the show is 'Big Red,' an enormous Oyler Pit smoker famous for producing succulent brisket and fabulous bacon that powers addictive bacon burnt ends tacos.
The absolute best Que I have had the pleasure of eating here in Florida. Kansas born and raised I am partial to the famous Kansas City Bbq! Bricks is a must try! My second time having the meatloaf and if you love meatloaf this is a great twist! The bacon burnt ends are delicious, sweet, tender and melt in your mouth treat for starters!

Great food, I haven’t had brisket since I visited Texas in 2023, and this blew my mind. Jane P — Google review
It's not often that I get conflicted writing a review. We joined friends for a specific visit to this location as a general consensus of reviews state that they had finally found real Texas "Que" in Florida. The first clue I should have noticed was the claim of finding Texas BBQ in Florida, right? Only one place to get Texas BBQ, and that's in Texas, just like all these New Yorkers wanting NY pizza in Florida, ain't gonna find it pal. We ordered a couple starters and beverages and all were good. Blood Orange Old Fashioned caught my attention. It was decent. A little thin on the 4 Roses, but otherwise a good drink. The Chips and Queso are ok. The Devlied eggs with Jalapeno and "Bacon Burnt Ends" aka pork belly burnt ends, are exceptionally good. I ordered up a 2 meat with their signature Brisket (marbled) and "St Louis" ribs. First the brisket: Marbled, yes ad juicy as it should be. Tender and fall apart. BUT...no smoke ring? Had to be commercial smoke cabinet with the minimal smoke essence. Zero ring. The three ribs bones I got were at best the small "Baby Backs". No way these were St Louis ribs, unless mine came from the runt of the litter. Flavor was ok, not much smoke. Tender and almost fall off the bone (which I prefer the slight chew pull). Now let's talk sides. Pimento mac & cheese. Yes, all day every day. That's a darn good side. The corn bread mini muffin was drier than a Texas tumbleweed. "Kickin' Collard Greens"??? Zero kick. Zero flavor...I mean bland as bland can be for a green. My serving was nearly half stems too boot. Not good at all. Service was ok and process fair for the times. Atmosphere is typical downtown Sarasota. So it make this rating tricky overall. I would like to go 3.5 stars, but honestly 3 is as good as I can go here simply because it isn't what it claims to be and with a couple exceptions, it really was mediocre at best.
Timmy S — Google review
We went here with a few friends for lunch on a Friday at 1 o’clock. The service we received from our server was very subpar and we had to get the manager involved on several occasions. The server could not stop asking if we wanted some dead parrot even though I still do not know what that is nor did I want any he kept insisting on us trying it. I also asked about the Texas caviar and he basically said no it’s gross, Don’t get it. The food took quite some time to get to our table and when it arrived, the food was all very cold. On some of the orders, the sides were delivered incorrectly, and even when asked to be fixed were replaced with the wrong sides. The jalapeño jelly was not delivered with the ribs, which was one of the main reasons I ordered it on my trio. While the food tasted good, it was lukewarm at best, which made it not really an enjoyable experience. If the food was hotter, and the service was better, I would say that this could be a great establishment, but this was definitely a huge miss, even if it is regularly a hit. Also, there is only two restrooms that are used for both men and women. They are both single stalls and it was very difficult to use the restroom even on a relatively slow Friday. If it was a Saturday, it was busy, I could only imagine how difficult it would be. There was no toilet paper either when my wife went to she the restroom, she had to ask. Very disappointed when it was my suggestion to go here based on the reviews.

Being received with genuine hospitality coming into Brick's and instantly smelling a smokey scent from the meats, made me even more excited about what was to come, lovely American smokehouse decor, wooden brown and black tones and actual wooden and leather chairs and booths. The server/bartender recommended us on a couple of things to order even though my wife and I went in looking for their 18 hr smoked brisket. We order a bacon jam brisket burger and a 3 meats plate, ribs/pulled pork/turkey, incredibly delicious all around, it was a feast for a very moderate price. Ribs falling off the bone, and the pulled pork extra tasty, this came with mc n cheese and coleslaw, very good. They had two different BBQ sauces, both sweet but one with a kick of spice, excellent companion, specially for the Ribs. 100% recommend if you're in Sarasota.
Jonathan L — Google review
The place was clean and inviting. Wanted to try their brisket and it was moist tender and perfectly done. Lots of bark… really lacking a smoke ring or any distinctive smoke flavor tho. Maybe it was just an off batch of brisket or maybe they just need to hit more smoke in the pit and more spices in the rub… the sides were really fresh and delicious. If they can get a consistent smoke and seasoning on the brisket their finished product would be on par with Texas post oak brisket. The server was kind and quick to help with any other things that we needed.
John R — Google review
Overall/ TLDR: the quality of the brisket was great. The quality of the ribs, potato, caramelized onions on the beans, and the cornbread...were not great. The taste of the ribs and the beans were great. Everything else, including the sauce, was underwhelming or disappointing. My hostess was sweet though; she offered me a dessert on the house, but I kindly rejected due to my bad experience here. Waste of $35. In depth: The slow cooked meats gave for some really soft, tender, juicy brisket...but my ribs were super chewy and dry...still tasted kinda okay i guess. The brisket was juicy, but plain (not even salted) and the Brick's BBQ sauce was worse than plain BBQ sauce frm the store, so adding it to my brisket was very disappointing. My cornbread was cold, dry, and unbuttered. My beans tasted great, but the caramelized onions were so chewy, they felt like I was chewing twist ties. My baked potato wasn't fresh at all. I had to scrape the potato out with a fork and it came out in chunks instead of it being soft/ warm enough to fall apart. Parts of the potato were also just cold plus the toppings too. The butter wasnt melted/ never melted on it either, and for a $2 upcharge, it pretty much just tasted like an average baked potato, barely. For the amount of food I got (3 ribs, 1 brisket, 1 potato, 1 cup of beans, and 1 cornbread), $30 is fine to pay...but for the quality of what I had it at, it was not worth it.

Restaurant
Siesta Key Oyster Bar, affectionately known as S.K.O.B., is a laid-back beach spot with a covered patio where you can savor delicious seafood and bar favorites while enjoying draft beer and live music. The restaurant lives up to its name by offering an array of fresh oysters and other local seafood dishes. From raw and baked oysters to grouper bites with signature remoulade, there's something for every seafood lover.
Fresh, flavorful seafood, worth the wait! The food here is absolutely delicious and everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. It can get a little hectic during peak times, and things might move a bit slow since the place gets packed and the staff is juggling a lot. That said, the waitresses were top-notch: friendly, professional, and doing their best to keep up with the crowd. If you're not in a rush, it's definitely worth it!

Delicious grouper tacos. The best way to get grouper without overlaying for sides. Excellent service. I sat at the bar and Megan took top notch service for me. Ambience is fantastic too. You can sit either inside or outside. I sat outside at first to soak up some sun, and then moved inside to soak up some AC and live music. I’ll be back for HH oysters.

I always love coming back to this place, it's really nice, and every time I go, even if I'm not hungry, I order the calamari. I don't know if I do it out of habit, but I love them. I also tried the oysters, and even some cooked oysters (I don't remember the name because I didn't order them myself, I think they had cheese on them) and, man, those were good too! They often have live music, which makes everything more magical.

Such a fun spot. Right off main stretch with live music. Didnt have drinks as we came in after a beach day but food was delicious. Blue cheese and bacon oysters... best oysters I've had yet. You can tell its been around for decades as the inside is covered in dollar bills and memorabilia. We will come back when we are in the areas for sure.
Ann C — Google review
Lunch was good, nothing to write home about or suggest to others. The cocktails ($12-$15) were good, no cheap sugary mixes. The oysters Rockefeller were meh, just spinache, barely any crispy bread crumps, almost no cheese and very little sauce. The grouper bites were really good. The tuna and avocado BLT was also very good. Cajun Shrimp po'boy had no Cajun seasoning. Service started out good but then she would forget what we asked for and just stood up at the host stand. Wouldn't complain of we went back but would try a different restaurant next time I'm on the area.

Great local bar. Good food, a little pricey though. Great staff. Gets crowded because it's small. Always has a great band playing! Drink selection was limited on seltzers though which I prefer
Dawn N — Google review
For an oyster bar, we found it disappointing. The service was great, the food was ok. Grouper bites were good, the oysters not so much. The crab cakes were so so. Quesada’s were good. They were filled with cheese and veggies and didn’t dry out.

Great selection of cold water oysters, truly some of the best oysters we’ve had, period! Ordered dozen oysters (mignonette delicious), calamari and lobster roll from the specials menu. Perfect vibes and service ✨

Lovely atmosphere. We went as a group of 10 for dinner and seated comfortably. The food is good. The seafood cobb salad and mussels appetizer is highly recommended.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shore, a seafood restaurant located in the beautiful Lido Beach area of Sarasota. The experience was nothing short of amazing and spectacular. From the moment we arrived, the service was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and efficient, making us feel truly welcome. For my main course, I enjoyed the Shrimp and Scallop Risotto. It was an exquisite dish, perfectly creamy with a delightful citrusy freshness that complemented the seafood wonderfully. The addition of spinach and heirloom tomatoes provided a vibrant and fresh touch that elevated the overall flavor profile. My wife opted for the Beluga Black Lentil Ragout, and she was equally impressed. The dish was simply phenomenal, bursting with rich, hearty flavors that made each bite a joy. We also shared a large side of truffle fries, which were an absolute delight. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned, with the delicious taste of truffle and Parmesan adding an indulgent twist to this classic side. Overall, our dining experience at Shore was exceptional. The food was superb, the ambiance was lovely, and the service was top-notch. We will definitely be returning one day to relive this memorable culinary experience.

We ordered the roasted beet and goat cheese salad, the meatloaf, grilled snapper, shrimp/scallops with lemon risotto, fried chicken, and for the grandkids, they had the ribs and sliders. The salad needed more goat cheese but it was a challenge to get any additional. The goat cheese was wrapped in pistachios and was very good but it just needed more of it. There were way too many beets and disproportional to the cheese. The meatloaf was very different to anything we have had before but quite flavorful. Every so often we got the flavor of something spicy. It was a large portion and a great presentation! The fried chicken was cooked perfectly. The shrimp and scallops were okay to good. I didn’t get a lot of flavor from them but the lemon risotto was good. The snapper was on the dry side and was just “okay.” The kids food was okay as well. The service was good. I recommend the restaurant and we will return.

We enjoyed a lovely meal and loved the ambiance. Eating outside yet feeling away from the elements was perfect on this sunny Florida day. We were able to enjoy hot entrees and ice cold drinks comfortably. Our food was delicious 😋 Our service was great and the hostesses were super pleasant and informative.

This place was absolutely amazing!! We started with the calamari and it sure did not disappoint. It came in a salad style and it was absolutely delicious. The misses got the shrimp and scallops which was a good portion and very tasty. I got the grouper and boy what a treat it was. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience from the service, timing of food coming out, quality of the food and just everything!! I will definitely be back to this place. A+++++

Cute, tasty and fun place for a dinner! We had Hayden as our waitress and she was super nice! For the appetizer, we ordered the crab cake which was pretty good! It had a super tasty sauce on top! For my main course, I ordered the shrimp & scallops which came with risotto and that was amazing!! I ordered the 1908 for my cocktail and thought it was a bit flavorless but thought it was a super cute color! All around, I would go again, especially at sunset because they have an amazing view from the rooftop patio!

Shore is a must stop shop and dine. Love their clothing and we love to eat/drink upstairs. Maybe shop first before having cocktails ;-). Food is always fresh and so good. Cocktail options are amazingly crafted and very unique in their own way. The LOBSTER, SHRIMP & CRAB COBB SALAD is just WOW....if you enjoy seafood GET THIS! My wife and I now split it as it is HUGE! I am also obsessed with their truffle fries which is always a nice side. Bee Keeper cocktail is my favorite "dessert" cocktail to enjoy after dinner and I love their old fashioneds as they have a very good bourbon/rye selection. Awesome outdoor or indoor seating, just make your way up the stairs before walking into the retail store or take the elevator if you are in need of some assistance. Try this place, you'll thank me :-)

Good food, ambiance and location. Server was attentive and checked in often. Burger had hardly any jam and could have used more flavor. Espresso tart was okay but could have been better. Ceviche and guacamole with chips was good but ceviche was watery and lacking flavor.

This has been the best meal I have had while being on St Armonds Circle. The atmosphere was chill, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was cooked just perfect. Everything was perfect. I will also note that the kitchen has been noted as being the cleanest kitchen in Sarasota:) If your on Lido and not sure where to eat, go here. You will be happy you did :)

I heard this restaurant was just opened at St Armands circle, so I had to check it out. I love vibe in this area and the restaurant didn't disappoint. I decided to have lunch and was able to get a seat at the bar. The decor is very pretty. I started with the "world famous " coconut shrimp appetizer. It was delicious. My server Ashley was amazingly friendly and helpful. She recommended the filet tacos and they were outstanding. I could find no flaws with this place. I definitely recommend and I'll be back for dinner soon!

Nice restaurant.  Staff was terrific and so was the food and beverages.  We had the Macadamia Nut Encrusted Red Snapper, Blackened Mahi Mahi tacos and a burger. The Red Snapper was tasty, however, it seemed a little small. I could have eaten double the thickness or length.

Surprisingly great dinner experience! Was a bit skeptical of how the food would be, but it was much better than expected. The dishes were fresh, well balanced, and cooked just right (medium-rare on point). As a group, we had the coconut shrimp appetizer, which had a great summer coleslaw, a great classic cheeseburger, vegetarian spaghetti squash and steak salad. Across the board we are all super happy with our choices. Suggest sitting outside in the evenings on the side by the greenery or upstairs on their porch for a fun evening.

Our waitress Lena and she was great. The goat cheese appitizer is excellent. Mai tai very good. We had a full rack of ribs, which were excellent. The lobster pot pie was good but needed more lobster for the price. The area where the restaurant is located is St Armand Circle, which is a great location. The restaurant is 2 floors and has a bar upstairs and downstairs. They also have outside seating. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere. We like to eat at all the Tommy restaurants.

This restaurant is just superb. The place is very inviting with an excellent kids menu. We ordered the blackened mahi mahi tacos, blackened shrimp chopped salad, and a margherita pizza. They were all delicious. My daughter finished the pizza. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a great lunch. Came back again and had more excellent food.

Located in Longboat Key, Florida, this waterfront restaurant provides a relaxing spot with dining room or terrace options overlooking the beautiful Gulf waters of Sarasota Bay. Known for its popular happy hour, creative drinks, tasty food, and great views, Chart House is praised by locals and visitors alike.
Excellent dinner. The savory shrimp pasta was hands down the best Scampi I have ever had. The prime rib was cooked to perfection. The grouper was also tasty. Mom said the lamb was ok. The chocolate lava cake was yummy even though it was over baked just a bit. No lava. Our server was wonderful even though she had several tables. We had a window table, and the view was gorgeous.

We arrived at 7pm on a Friday night with reservations and were immediately seated at a beautiful table overlooking the bay and bridge. It was our first visit and came to try out the restaurant during Savor Sarasota. We ordered the Caesar Salad, Salmon with Shrimp and Key lime pie. All were exceptional and very generous portions. Sadie our server was attentive during the entire evening and most importantly we never felt rushed leaving our beautiful view. We will definitely be back.

Excellent service from moment of arrival. Even though the restaurant was busy, the hostesses were so warm and accommodating. Our server, Craig was so nice and attentive and helped us with our selections. I really enjoyed the crab cake appetizer and the salmon for main course, also recommend the mango tuna avocado appetizer. Besides the top notch service, the restaurant itself, with warm tones and beautiful views of the Gulf, made the dining experience exceptional. Will be back.

We had dinner here. We were seated by the windows and that allowed us to enjoy the water view. Our server was nice. We had crab cakes, clam chowder soup, and Kim Chee Calamari for appetizers. For main dish we had, sea bass with mashed potatoes and asparagus. For dessert, we had a dish that brought 3 different flavor crème brûlée. Sangria and water. The crab cakes was tasteful. The clam chowder was okay, nothing to write home about and the same for the sea bass. The creme brûlée dessert was good, different flavors to suit different paletes. Overall, it's a nice restaurant with nice views. The food was okay.

Always a great time here with friends and family . Never have a bad meal or service A great place to celebrate your birthday . You get a copy of that days menu with recognition and they give you a delicious dessert with a candle Noah was our server . He was wonderful.,We wanted to pace out our dinner with the wine and salad bar before putting in the main entrees and he gave us plenty of time . We never felt rushed . We just need to remember to get there before our dinner reservation to enjoy Happy Hour prices . because quite a difference in pricing of drinks only available in bar area Had our usual , Salmon and Chicken Balsamica and the Farmers bar . ( The adding on of the salad bar with Entree has definitely gone up over the years ) But it's well worth it . The early bird menu is great and includes dessert . Which you might as well bring home after your 2-3 trips to the salad bar

Everyone told us Chart House was the upscale spot to go to on Longboat Key so we were expecting something more elevated when we walked in, but it felt very dated. That said, we did get a great seat at the bar with beautiful views of the water. We came for Happy Hour and that was definitely the highlight. Pomegranate Mojito: Super tasty, just delayed Firecracker Shrimp: Good and flavorful Crispy Spicy Tuna: Worth it to order, but not my favorite Prime Rib Sliders: Solid choice, would definitely order again Sunset Beets (regular menu): The pesto make it work, but otherwise it was a no for me. Cedar Plank Salmon (early dining menu): Came with a salad and lemon sorbet, both refreshing and tasty but the green beans and rice were a no for us. Service-wise, the bartender greeted us and was really polite, but it felt like we didn't get much attention after that - maybe because we ordered in waves, or maybe because the bar was just busy. Overall, Happy Hour was worth it for the price, the view, and a few standout bites but I don't think we'd come back.

What a great experience at this Peruvian restaurant. We were for dinner on a friday night. Very friendly service, very delicious food with good flavors and beautiful presentation. One of a kind Cesars salad, and their short ribs are so tender like a brisket. Highly recommended if you are looking for an exceptional dinner.

We had the ceviche trio and short rib spring roles as appetizers - these items were by far our favorite part of the meal! For our entrees we had the seafood paella and New York strip steak. Both were a good portion. The paella had a good mix of seafood and flavor. The steak was nothing spectacular but decent. The service was good and atmosphere was enjoyable. We were outside and it was a little chilly but the heat lamps made it comfortable. I highly recommend making a reservation, the restaurant was busy but they sat us immediately. We were there to celebrate a birthday and they brought us a special birthday treat which was a great touch and was delicious!

This place is amazing. The best time to go is definitely in the off season, summer. Not very busy and allows you to spend more time enjoying the atmosphere. Food is 5 star. The Skirt Steak is amazing. My girlfriend said her Salmon was cooked to perfection. Definitely going back.
Nick Y — Google review
The presentation of the food was beautiful, but sadly, the experience didn’t follow through. My salad appeared to have been premade, leaving it soggy and lacking the crispness you’d expect from something freshly prepared. The entrée was decent but not particularly memorable. However, the desserts truly stood out as the highlight of the meal. Service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was delightful, but unfortunately, the quality of the food didn’t quite match the overall ambiance.

This was an excellent experience with exceptional clockwork service and very good dishes across the board. We celebrated my friend’s birthday here recently, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. From the moment we arrived, everything felt just right—the food was delicious, the atmosphere inviting, and the service truly exceptional. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but every detail made it worth every penny. What really stood out was the care and thoughtfulness of the staff. At the end of the evening, we asked if they could bring out a cake for the birthday girl. Not only did they surprise us with a beautiful cake and candle, but they also brought a single red rose. It was deeply touching and made the night unforgettable. Highly recommend for special occasions or just a memorable night out. They know how to make you feel celebrated

Veronica Fish and Oyster is a laid-back seafood house with a retro supper-club ambiance. The restaurant exudes a funky-chic feel with murals, marble-topped bar, and shelves adorned with books and knickknacks. It offers a delightful happy hour featuring beer, wine specials, cocktails, and small plates like grilled oysters and shrimp ceviche.
We have eaten at Veronica's multiple times for an informal meal. The bar is quite active and the staff could not be more accommodating. The room is spacious and comfortable. But now to the serious stuff: the oyster selection is always terrific and they feature oysters from the cold waters of the northeast. The fish selection is varied and fresh. The burgers are also terrific and the fries are too. I'd like to make a comment about our server on our last visit- Rebecca knew everything about the menu and the preparation of the items but was particularly familiar with the oysters, including their size and flavor profile. She was very attendant to our needs and made the experience totally enjoyable.
Kenneth S — Google review
This was a great restaurant with a great ambience. The food was delicious and I didn't get a chance to take a Pic, but if you go..... you must try their bread pudding. We ordered another to go, but that wasn't as good because the ice cream wasn't as cold. This place had great service and amazing oysters. A must go!!

If you’re an oyster lover, Veronica’s Fish Market is an absolute must-visit. The freshness and quality of their oysters are on another level—briny, clean, and perfectly chilled. You can taste the care that goes into their sourcing and handling from the very first bite. The selection offered was impressive, and the staff really knew their stuff, guiding us through flavor profiles and helping us choose the perfect mix. Each oyster was expertly shucked and beautifully presented, making the experience feel both elevated and approachable. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick dozen or planning to make oysters the star of your meal, Veronica’s delivers every time. It’s the kind of place you immediately add to your list of regular stops. Highly recommend!

All the reviews are true. This place is beyond amazing and has exceptional service. I felt at home and everything we ate was steller! We had their octopus, homemade bread, crab with avocado served with deep fried rice cracker, fried red snapper, and wild mushrooms. I wasnt crazy about the mushrooms to be honest, but everything else was delicious! To top off our meal, the server brought us some bread pudding with ice cream for dessert! So far, this is my favorite restaurant in Sarasota. I hope to come back soon!

Still thinking about how good our food was here! We’ve been visiting Siesta Key for YEARS and finally tried Veronica’s. The smaller menu size had steered us away in the past, but what they make they make WELL. The smoked fish dip with fried saltines was delicious. The caesar salad had a touch of vinegar flavor that we loved and the croutons were shaved so there was a little bit in every bite. Grouper entree was phenomenal, loved the crunch of the crispy potatoes on top paired with the caviar blanc sauce. Veronica fries were also a table favorite & everyone wanted to get their hands on the aioli that came with. Overall the restaurant has a moody vibe & our waitress was so friendly. She helped us with off the menu mocktails which were also amazing. Can’t wait to visit again!

Fantastic place to grab lunch. From the staff to the food. This place was great. Sit outside have an adult beverage and people watch. The grouper bites were great as was the Cuban sandwich. But the Tabago Tuna Taco’s. These were the best taco’s that I’ve had while in Florida. The el bandido was also superb. Well done Cha Cha Coconuts!!!!

The staff at Cha Cha Coconuts was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome right away. I really enjoyed the lobster shrimp bisque appetizer, but the rest of the meal was hit or miss. My shrimp tacos were surprisingly spicy but lacked flavor, and the drinks were unfortunately watered down, which was disappointing. The view from the patio overlooking downtown Sarasota definitely added to the experience, but overall the food and drinks didn’t quite live up to the setting.

If you’re looking for a laid-back Florida gem with good food and genuinely warm service, look no further than cha cha coconuts! From the moment my husband and I walked in, the relaxed coastal vibe and friendly energy made it clear this was going to be a great experience. They even had live music that was beautiful played by a man and woman playing guitar and violin! The food was delicious. We ordered the grouper bites with a side of their house-made coconut honey mustard dipping sauce — perfectly cooked & full of flavor. We also ordered the highly recommended chicken and shrimp with vegetables served in a half cut Pineapple that we’re still talking about!! Portions are generous, and prices are great for the quality! What really set this place apart, though, was the service and the staff. Our server who also was the manager whose name was Paul was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, and every staff member we interacted with seemed genuinely happy to be there. They were working very hard serving large tables of people, all full of smiles! Paul checked on us mid-meal just to make sure everything was up to par. He was friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about making sure guests ( both locals and tourists) feel welcome. You can tell he leads by example —the whole staff was on point, and the positive energy flowed throughout the restaurant. Between the great food, casual beachy atmosphere, and outstanding management, cha cha coconuts is a place we’ll be recommending to everyone. Can’t wait to come back!

An upbeat, lively place to eat whilst at Siesta Key! The food and atmosphere was great but what really made our experience extra special was our server Shaun T. He was kind, helpful, cordial and also went the extra mile to take a precious photo. I took a chance and tried the Chef’s Favorite, “The Native”- a sweet and savory Whitefish sandwich on toasted Raisin bread. Very unique and tasty! The sweet potato fries with wicked sauce were melt in the mouth scrumptious. And the Not So Rum Runner was a perfect refreshing treat for my daughter. 🍹💜🥰

If you're looking for the tiki bar experience you won't go away lacking. Plenty of seating, indoors or outdoors, shady or full sun tucked into all kinds of spots. There's some corn hole or other games for free. Get a cold pitcher of beer for $10 or a well drink for $3 during the 11-6 Happy Hour. Our server Drew happily took our drink and food orders. Our food came out hot and ready to eat. The fries were cooked perfectly. I got the fried "Jumbo" shrimp. They were extra large at best and a little overcooked, but seasoned well. My wife got the beans and rice bowl with a huge piece of grouper on it. She couldn't finish it. Everyone else loved there meals. Drew helped make it an amazing experience.

Atmosphere was very tropical and plenty of live music in this restaurant as well as surrounding restaurants. We sat on the porch outside and I had the fried shrimp with cocktail sauce and my wife had a salad and salsa and fresh made chips. Raider was attentive and friendly. We use public parking which is $8 an hour apparently throughout the city there. Very enjoyable meal. Easy to recommend.

Great food. Big portions! Fun & friendly staff. Thanks to Chris M & Marie. We have been twice so far in 1 wk! The grilled & blackened shrimp salads are amazing. Their mai tai's, pina coladas & mudslides are sooo good!!

We almost didn’t try this place out due to some of the other reviews. But after not being happy at another place we decided to just do it. And we are happy we did. This place was nothing like the bad reviews we read. Outside of the weather being hot with possible thunderstorms, and having no fan on our table. The food was great! It was piping hot and fresh. The chicken quesadilla was the best. The fish a chips were good as well. The staff was friendly and our waitress was very attentive. We only wished the general manager had visited our table. We were visiting, but this place is an additional to why we will return. Look passed any bad reviews and give this place a try. We found it was worth it!

Very fun dinner out for my hubby’s BD! Drew was our waiter and took excellent care of us! He was super friendly and attentive. We had the nachos - WOW! Huge and delicious. The tacos and grilled chicken sandwich were great entrees. I had the pineapple lemon martini and the mango colada! Yummy - great music and really fun atmosphere! Plus you’re in Siesta Key - everything is better here!

Hostess kept us informed on our wait. Shannon was our waitress and she was AMAZING. Very tentative to our requests (party of 6). She kept everyone's glasses full and was very sweet. The food was amazing as well. They had live music which was also good. The whole place was a VIBE and we look forward to our next trip here.

Beachy Vibes and Big Flavor in Siesta Key 🌴🐟🍹We always forget to take photos because we’re too busy enjoying our conversations. Gilligan’s is a must-visit every time we’re in Siesta Key. The beachy, laid-back vibe paired with drink specials (served in fun souvenir cups!) keeps us coming back. The fish tacos were loaded with crispy white fish, check out the size of that portion! They were topped with coconut rum slaw and full of flavor. The beef burgers are just as massive and satisfying for non-seafood lovers. This time we also tried the Drunken Chicken Sandwich, which wasn’t bad at all, especially paired with sweet potato fries and an extra side of their tropical rum sauce for dipping. It really hit the spot. Solid drinks, generous portions, and island vibes make this place a go-to for casual dining and good times. 🌺🍔🍤

Amazing food. Great views. Wonderful service. Drinks were great as well. We were blown away at the portion of lobster they gave us. They were very accommodating and created a special plate even though it wasn’t specifically on the menu. Perfect place for sunset dinner.

Here for the first time to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I found this place by googling Best Seafood Restaurant in Sarasota. It is located in the Ritz Carleton Hotel which is situated right on the harbor with great views. Complimentary Valet parking was handy since there is no parking nearby. We were seated immediately outside with a nice view of the harbor. Our server Brooke made our experience we wonderful. The menu is limited but that is not necessarily a negative. We were waited on by a team of servers. I ordered a Negroni and my wife had a gin and tonic. We had the shrimp cocktail which I felt was not as fresh as it could be. I was expecting jumbo shrimp but they were average size. A highlight was the brown maple bread which came backed in a tin cake. Brooke served us explaining the origin of the bread and the name Jack Dusty. My wife had the mahi mahi which she said was delicious. I had the Red Snapper. It was a huge serving. I had filled up on the shrimp and bread. The bar looks like a good happy hour spot. Some people came just for drinks. Dress is casual. This will be a good place to bring company. Oh, my wife got her pick of desserts and the recipe for the bread. I’m

Sooo, Jack Dusty was surprisingly good! I’m usually skeptical about hotel restaurant, there’s often a high chance of high prices and bland food, but this one delivered. We had dinner, dessert, and breakfast here and enjoyed all of it. Tried a few different things on the menu, no clear favorite, but everything was solid. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout. Definitely worth trying if you’re in the area or staying at the hotel!

Great brunch/ lunch as always! Oysters are always really good too! One of my favorite and most frequented restaurants in SRQ. Jack fries are SOO GOOD, if you’re on a diet I recommend staying away because they are dangerously addictive (in a good way).

Jack dusty food was great! We came here for a birthday dinner and were in a private dining room. Drinks were great, views were nice as well. Only complaint was service. We were a large party, but still took 30-45 mins to get checked on knowing we were having drinks and needed water topped off etc. I would give it an 8/10.

Jack Dusty, is located inside the Ritz Carlton downtown Sarasota. Nice lunch specials 😋, very helpful and courteous staff 👍 good views out the back 👍 Both indoor and outdoor seating 💺 😀. And for those of you that follow me, you know that cleanliness is very important 😉 Jack Dusty easily meets my expectations 👍😉 The restaurant and restrooms 🚻 are very neat and clean 😀. I recommend giving them a try 😀

We stayed at the Ritz for our vacation in sarasota. And ate at the restaurant for lunch one day. They have an exceptional seafood menu. My husband got the fish tacos and very much enjoyed them. I'm vegetarian and the options were limited but the bartender was kind enough to discuss with the chef options to help accommodate my dietary restrictions and they made vegetarian tacos. Which was such a nice gesture. The tacos were filled to the top and the flavors actually worked well. They bar tender was great!

Nestled in a carefully restored home, Indigenous is a renowned downtown Sarasota restaurant that prides itself on serving innovative American cuisine. Chef Steve Phelps, a James Beard Award semi-finalist, showcases his dedication to consciously sourced ingredients by emphasizing native Florida produce and sustainable seafood from local fishermen. The restaurant's warm and sophisticated ambiance complements its commitment to using locally-sourced creations, with an ever-changing menu that reflects the freshest ingredients available.
One of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Restaurant is in a cute historic home. Food was unique and tasted amazing. We had a pear parmesan beneigh, seared tuna, pork chop, roasted potatoes and caramel ice cream (with crispy sweet potatoes on top). Apparently Bobby Flay eats here. So good. Highly recommend.

Absolutely phenomenal. This experience is truly 5 star from start to finish. The quality of the food is outstanding and all of the dishes are so unique. The mushroom bisque was exceptional, but you really cannot go wrong with anything. Staff were kind, attentive, & knowledgeable. Very glad we made a stop here while in the area & highly recommend to anyone looking for an incredible meal.

My wife and I did a date night here and really enjoyed ourselves. The staff was great and the food was top notch. The atmosphere is unique, the restaurant is in a converted house, so it has a fun charm about it. The menu is very limited, but that's a good thing in my opinion. Instead of having 50 - 100 mediocre things, they have like 15 perfect things. Some picky eaters might have trouble finding something, but if you are adventurous and willing to try new things, you won't be disappointed.

An absolutely delicious restaurant with locally sourced ingredients, and a focus on sustainability. It really nourishes your soul to eat at a place like this where they are thinking about the environmental impact of their menu. The burger and the char were delicious. Even my 5-year-old niece was a fan! She has been asking to go back for the fish lol so Indigenous has elevated food, but enjoyed by even the more hesitant pallets among us :) The Parmesan Beignets were super unique, fresh, and fluffy. The perfect balance of savory and sweet. The service was good and the caramel ice cream was the perfect end to the experience. I definitely recommend.

We had an amazing dinner. Pickle plate was a delicious bite of food. Roasted mushrooms on pappadum also very tasty. Pork Chop and Red Lentil Panisse were excellent; very large portions. Finished off the meal with Dream Bar, decaf and tea served in nice pottery mugs which kept hot beverages hot. Extensive beer list and a tasty local kombucha. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. A wonderful first meal of our minibreak vacation in Sarasota.

Average food in a great location with wonderful atmosphere . I am not sure what the hype is with this place . The food is just average based upon dishes we had . Salad was excellent and flavorful as well as the beignets . The rest not so good . The service was below par as it it seemed the waiter did not want to deal with the questions I had on the entrees. He was short and did not explain the dishes adequately. Almost seemed like we were doing him a favor for eating there. I would give it another try but I would need a different t waiter.

Located at 149 Avenida Messina, this restaurant provides a refined dining experience with hand-cut steak and seafood selections in a coastal-chic setting. The establishment boasts a remarkable 1,000-gallon on-site fish tank that spans 14 feet.
Summer House in Siesta Key is a must-visit! The ambiance is lively and energetic, perfect for a fun night out. The food was phenomenal—the ceviche special was fresh, unique, and bursting with flavor, and our steaks were cooked to perfection. What truly elevated the experience was the exceptional service. Our server, Derek, was outstanding, tailoring recommendations to our preferences and even letting us sample different steak sauces. His attention to detail made us feel truly valued. Highly recommend!

Overall, I had a very good experience. The hostesses and my server, Julie were friendly and attentive. A gentleman, I assume a manager, checked on me once my entree was served. The bread, lobster bisque and grouper were outstanding. The only miss was the bone marrow. It was oily and lacked flavor. I would highly recommend SH to anyone looking for a higher end dining experience in Siesta Key. Cheers!.

Outstanding place!!! First timer, actually went two nights!!! The staff are amazing, the food is amazing!! I had fillet mignon one night cooked to perfection. The Top sirloin wagyu was unbelievably good on our second visit. Not big on sirloin, this is a must. The management worked with our party of six to get us in on a last minute decision on a Friday. I have eaten steaks at some of the top rated in the country, hands down one of the best!!!

Amazing! Perfect for an upscale dinner or celebration. The atomsphere is elegant but casual. Very comfortable Everything we had was incredible. Our server Derek was great- efficient, personable and made excellent recommendations. Pictured : the seafoam margarita (I don’t know how to describe this other than the name being perfect for the drink.. )topped with lime/ eggwhite foam and siesta key harvested sea salt 10/10 Wagyu tartare with bone marrow grenota 40 oz Porterhouse with Gorgonzola crust - INCREDIBLE! And of course, when in Rome… key lime pie. So yummy Will return on my next trip to siesta key :)

To start with, Derek was our server who delivered with flair and the utmost professionalism I haven’t witnessed in a long time. Derek asked for our names and engaged in conversation that was pleasant and legitimate. A thorough explanation of menu items and the background to the Chefs vision. We started with colossal shrimp and crab cake as appetizers to which both were fantastic. We then entered into our main course of wet aged NY strip steaks that were both tender and delicious. A complimentary dessert was provided as Derek admitted me dropped a small, bite size morsel of steak. The ambience, food and service was IMHO, stellar. The manager, Thai, even came by our table and engaged with us which sealed the deal. We will definitely by coming back for more food adventures.

The outdoor patio provides the perfect setting for people-watching while enjoying menu favorites like shrimp corn chowder, mahi-mahi wrap, and gator bites.
Ciara was our waitress and her down to earth approach made the atmosphere that much more enjoyable for us! Attentive as needed and a great resource for tourists like us. Probably the best coconut shrimp I’ve ever had! Our bartender was very sweet, the vibes were great and my drink was fantastic! I do kindly recommend upper management address spirit pricing for single pours versus double pours (example: it doesn’t make sense to charge $8.50 for a 1.5oz pour, but for a double which was only .5oz more, totaling 2oz, be an additional $8.50). Will be back nonetheless!

I'm visiting Sarasota area from Ohio, and wanted some good seafood. Glad I chose Captain Brian's. I had the seafood platter~ it was all delicious! The shrimp were absolutely incredible! The crab cake too. Prices are typical for seafood. Place was busy, but service was good. Pleasant waitress. If you're in the area, try it!

We ate dinner at Captain Brian’s last week. We met our friends there. I had the Ipswich Whole Bellied Fried Clams they came with potato wedges and cole slaw. Though my clams tasted good they were room temperature even though the potatoes were warm. My husband had the Fish and Chips again though tasty the fish was room temperature it also came with warm potato wedges and cole slaw. One of our friends got the Lobster Special which she said it was very good along with a side of mashed potatoes. Lastly her husband had the Char, which he said was between a white fish and a salmon and was delicious. The Char came with potato wedges and cole slaw.

Greeted at the door, shown to our huge booth with a ton of legroom and table so we weren't elbow to elbow. Water all around and a pint for Ma after two minutes. Generous portions. Swordfish was grilled PERFECTLY: juicy, excellent grill marks and warm till the end. If Brian's simply switches out the cool-white Kelvins Leds for warmer tones, this would really off set the whole dining area. First visit and I'll be back. Excellent swordfish there Gustafson.

My girlfriend and I were driving down 41 when we saw a sign that said Maine lobsters, $20 each, dine in only. We were both familiar with Capt. Brian’s because that’s our go to spot for seafood when we’re flying out of town. We also love their stone crab during season. As soon as we walked in, we were seated by a nice gentleman that took our drink orders. Then we were introduced to the lovely Maria who was our server. The lobsters were so good that I ate two. Great service, nice atmosphere, perfectly cooked seafood and all at a great value.

I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal here. The food is good no matter what you choose from the menu. Staff is always really nice so you can ask them about anything and they can describe the dish to you. There is a weight because everybody knows how good this place is. So either come early or just know that you're going to have to wait. If you haven't been I would recommend it.
Marie C — Google review
The food tastes really good. The service was pleasant and professional. These are the two reasons I give 3stars. But the portions are unbelievably and extremely too small for the astronomical price. Even where most places try and fill you up with the side dishes, here, they aren’t even attempting that. The slaw and potato salad come in tiny dishes that MIGHT equal 1/3 cup. My wife and I left hungry and on our way to find a good dessert some place else after paying a bill of $50 for LUNCH here. I’m afraid from now on I will skip this place from now on. Anna Marie Oyster Bar you will get more food for less money. Oh, and no veteran discount here.

Drift Kitchen & Bar, situated within the Lido Beach Resort, offers a delightful setting to enjoy cocktails while taking in stunning sunset views over the Gulf Coast. The restaurant specializes in Gulf Coast cuisine with a Caribbean twist, focusing on fresh seafood such as Tuna Poke and Macadamia Nut Encrusted Grouper. Located on the eighth floor of the Palm Tower building at Lido Beach Resort, this dining spot provides an inviting West Indies atmosphere with exceptional vistas of Sarasota.
Met up with some friends at Drift Kitchen and Bar last night, per their suggestion…and I can see why! Now of course, it’s hard to miss the best view in Lido Beach being on the 8th floor with floor to ceiling glass! Outstanding sunsets! The service and the food also matched the amazing view. Joe was our server and he was able to pick up on our palettes pretty quickly. We started with the Crispy Crab Cakes and the Mama’s Meatballs. Both appetizers were delicious and beautifully presented. The entrees blew everything away! The Pan Seared Grouper with cauliflower purée was perfection with the heirloom tomato sauce. The hand cut 12oz ribeye was cooked to a precise medium rare temperature and the roasted garlic mashed potatoes paired very well. However…the star of the evening had to be the 10-hour Beef Short Rib! The knife was not necessary as it fell apart at the touch of the fork. Moist and flavorful! Rich and savory! Don’t miss it! Finished the night off with an Amarena Chocolate Cake and one more glass of red wine…wow! Come for the view, but know that when the sun goes down…the food really shines brightly!

My wife and I chose Drift Kitchen & Bar to celebrate our 7-year anniversary, drawn in by the promise of oceanfront dining and an upscale setting—and in many ways, it delivered. Located on the 8th floor of the Lido Beach Resort, the restaurant offers sweeping views of Lido Key and the Gulf that are truly breathtaking, especially at sunset. The modern decor of both the resort and the restaurant creates a sleek, elegant vibe that feels perfect for a special occasion. The service was another highlight of our evening. Our server was gracious, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Every staff member we encountered was professional and accommodating, helping set the tone for a memorable night. Where the evening fell short, unfortunately, was with the food. Each plate was presented beautifully—there’s no doubt that the kitchen knows how to plate for visual impact—but the flavors didn’t match the aesthetics. The dishes we ordered were average at best, lacking the depth or seasoning you’d expect from a restaurant in such a stunning setting. Nothing was particularly bad, just underwhelming, especially for a place that seems to aspire to fine dining. For our anniversary, we wanted a full sensory experience—great ambiance, great service, and great food. Drift nailed the first two, but the flavors just didn’t rise to the occasion. Still, if you're looking for a beautiful spot to enjoy a drink and watch the sun dip into the Gulf, it's hard to beat the view from Drift Kitchen & Bar. Just be prepared for the food to look better than it tastes.

Drift Kitchen did not disappoint! Best artichoke spinach dip i have ever had. The staff were all very courteous and did an excellent job assisting in pairing a wine with my red snapper meal. The presentation and flavor of the food was impeccable! We were sat by the windows with a beautiful view of the ocean. Thank you for such a lovely experience!

Drift Kitchen and Bar has one of the nicest views on Lido Beach. Breakfast with a view is absolutely wonderful, and they do a solid job with it. Lunch and dinner, however, don’t quite measure up to the same standard. That said, the full bar and cozy atmosphere make it a great spot to stop by for drinks and appetizers while soaking in the sunset.

We had an incredible experience at The Drift, located inside the Lido Beach Resort, while celebrating my twin daughters’ 21st birthday dinner. The food and drinks were absolutely on par — flavorful, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. The views of the ocean were breathtaking, and the atmosphere was just perfect — relaxed, elegant, and welcoming. It was a truly memorable evening, and we couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate such a special milestone. Highly recommend Drift for any special occasion or a beautiful night out by the water!

Absolutely incredible experience. Reservations fill quickly, so book early. We sat at the bar since tables were full, but Danny, the bartender, made it worth it—knowledgeable, personable, and excellent with cocktails. The space is upscale yet welcoming, with Saturday football on and live piano music that set the perfect mood. Candles and a stunning sunset view elevated the atmosphere even more. Highly recommend visiting—and definitely ask for Danny.

Great energy, amazing view. Atmosphere was perfect. Server was attentive but not over bearing. Food was excellent, and I tend to complain a lot. I honestly have nothing to complain about. Romantic setting. We watched the sun set while we thoroughly enjoyed a perfect meal. We had honey Rosemary chicken wings as an appetizer. I had a gluten free chicken spinach pizza, my wife had grilled salmon. The accommodations for our allergies was phenomenal and the ability to switch side items allowed for a more enjoyable experience. The asparagus was delicious, and cooked perfectly. I also had the "Put the lime in the coconut" alcoholic beverage, and the toasted coconut on the rim of the glass just set everything up perfectly. I couldn't be happier with my experience here. The only thing missing was that they happened to not have calamari tonight. Everything else exceeded my expectations.

Amazing food, the sauce is awesome and flavorful. The pasta is amazing. The oysters are also fresh and are great. Eggplant paramesan also has great flavor and is nice to see a restaurant do. The servers are friendly and the service is quick. Lots of windows so natural light is main light source. Overall this turned from a place we were trying out for just oysters, into a must go restaurant every time we’re in the area.

Really nice place with delicious European-style food and American-sized portions! The atmosphere is cozy, the tableware looks great, and the staff is friendly and polite. They also have a kids’ menu with good portions and fair prices. All three main dishes we tried were very tasty, and we especially loved the warm garlic bread with butter and olive oil — absolutely delicious! The restaurant is just a little off the main St. Armands Circle — you only need to walk a bit down the street — so it’s not as crowded as the spots right on the circle. But it definitely deserves a visit!

Loved this spot which was recommended by a friend. The chicken Parmesan is definitely a big portion which is shareable. I had the scallops and shrimp scampi it was delicious and a big portion as well. I was seated on the second floor which has the option of stairs of an elevator. The atmosphere was nice and I loved the menu style as well

Came here to visit some an old college friend and her boyfriend. It was the halfway point between Orlando and Naples and had good reviews for seafood so we met there. Great location, and modern interior. Very open and lots of light . The service was very good. The food was excellent, and a particularly stellar version of French fries. The chowder was a little thin but tasty with a good amount of clam. The fish basket (cod in this case) was very good quality fish and was cooked well.b the lobster roll was a 7/10 for a lobster roll outside of New England. The roll was not as fresh as I would have liked and it could have used more meat, but overall it was good. The salad was just OK but the seafood in it was really good. Overall this was a good choice and I would come back when in Sarasota. Keep in mind the restrooms are upstairs, they were clean but a bit hidden.

We had a lovely dinner on a busy Saturday night. Started with Oysters Rockefeller which were tasty. The seafood pastas were delicious. I would highly recommend the scallop and shrimp scampi and the lobster and shrimp pappardelle.

Great spot for clams and seafood. The clams are wonderful, and the branzino was really nice. Friendly service and decent selection of wine & cocktails. We arrived late for dinner and were seated immediately. We were served by the bartender, who was personable and knowledgeable.

I grew up in New England area eating many lobster rolls in my lifetime. I can honestly say that this was the worst lobster roll I’ve ever had. Not only did the lobster have no taste, the amount of lobster in the roll was so small. It was mostly knuckles. It was such a ripoff for $26. I did not even finish the roll, it was that bad.

Boca Kitchen Bar & Market is a trendy restaurant and cocktail joint with locations in Sarasota and Winter Park, FL. The restaurant offers farm-to-fork dishes and a diverse wine list in an industrial-chic setting. Boca's menu features locally inspired dishes made fresh, making it a popular spot for brunch, lunch, and happy hour. The Sarasota location was chosen for its welcoming downtown energy that matches the Boca experience.
Boca Restaurant, Sarasota: An Unforgettable Dining Experience! My recent dinner at Boca Restaurant in Sarasota was truly exceptional, largely thanks to our incredible server, Roberto, and the delicious food. From the moment we sat down, Roberto made the entire dining experience great. He was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and had a wonderful, engaging personality. He offered excellent recommendations, checked on us at just the right moments, and truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable evening. His professionalism and warmth elevated the meal from good to outstanding. As for the food, it was very good! Each dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You could tell the ingredients were high-quality, and the kitchen clearly takes pride in its preparation. From appetizers to the main course, everything was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Boca Restaurant, combined with Roberto's excellent service, created a truly enjoyable and satisfying dining experience. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for great food and top-notch service in Sarasota. We'll definitely be back!

The skirt steak we ordered (shown in the photo) was absolutely outstanding. It was cooked to perfection, exactly as we requested — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The side dishes were also very well prepared and complemented the main dish perfectly. What really stood out, apart from the quality of the food, was the service. Our waitress was extremely attentive throughout the entire evening, always checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. On top of that, the manager personally came by to ask if everything was to our liking, which added a very professional and welcoming touch to the whole experience. The rest of the food we tried was also excellent, and the restaurant itself has a perfect location right in the city center. You can easily walk there from many nearby hotels, and if you prefer to drive, there is plenty of parking available, which makes it very convenient. Overall, a fantastic dining experience — great food, wonderful service, and a location that couldn’t be better. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a place where both the quality of the dishes and the hospitality truly stand out.

This place was AMAZING, everything was made perfectly, and served quickly. Our Server Alyssa W was the absolute sweetest person on the planet, and the manager, Nora, even swung by and said hi. When you step into here, the atmosphere is lovely and the staff makes you feel like family

The food and atmosphere was great. I’d give our server Shannon 10 stars if I could. She was very welcoming and made our dinner one to remember. We had to come back one last time before leaving Sarasota to see Shannon and will definitely be asking for her in the future!

Awesome service! Very attentive and considerate. Delicious drinks and food. We got married and had a party of originally 8, and it turned out to be 18. The staff was very helpful in accomodating the large party. We dined on the second floor with the whole floor to ourselves. The server was amazing and took great care of us.

Just came back home to NJ from my Sarasota trip and already missing Boca! Not only was the food outstanding (Calamari, Skirt Steak, Brussel Sprouts), our girl Shannon provided a welcoming environment. Making sure we were good on our drinks and food, and making us laugh was the highlight of our night! Cheers to Shannon 🥂 Oh and shoutout to the Mango Lemon Drops 😮‍💨 Will certainly be back here when visiting again!

Restaurant
New Pass Grill & Bait Shop is a charming establishment located on City Island near Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota. Despite its appearance as a small bait shop, it offers a full menu of classic American dishes such as hot dogs and hamburgers. The place has been serving locals and visitors for almost 100 years, exuding Old Florida charm with its casual and family-friendly atmosphere.
Super cool place. Eat right on the water with a great view. Food came fast and hot. Staff was friendly. Everyone liked what they got. I forgot to take pictures of the food, but I loved the clam strip basket. Others said the Burger and fries were excellent. My kid said his grilled cheese was very good. While eating we watched fish, birds and a dolphin swim by. There is also a nice little bait shop and souvenir store. I highly recommend this awesome little place!

Location, Location, Location. That is the best thing about New Pass Grill. Located with a view of Sarasota Bay the view sitting and eating is one surely you do not want to miss. However, it is best to sit with a beer and enjoy the water without eating. While they give you a generous amount of fries the burger was not very good. I ordered the angus burger but I highly doubt that was what I was given because it did not taste anything like I expect an angus burger to taste like. The fish my wife ordered also did not have much flavor, instead just having a battery taste. Sitting with a beer is your best option here, but be forewarned their beer prices are quite high.
K M — Google review
I always have an amazing time here. It's very laid back and PERFECT for those bright sunny beautiful Florida days. 🔆🌊 I had a quick lunch with some family here and it was GORGEOUS. We even had the pleasure of watching the dolphins swim while enjoying our food after a long day in the sun. 🐬 Definitely worth a visit if your looking for beautiful scenery waterside with a quick bite to eat.

Me and my kids visit here regularly for lunch. They have the best fried pickles, great burgers, and fries. My kids love the chicken tenders. We enjoy sitting by the water and watching the locals (pelicans egrets n heron) while we eat.

Fantastic low key waterside restaurant. You can sit on the dock while waiting for your food. Outdoor tables by the dock are great. Beer is priced cheap and their chicken sandwich is amazing. I’ve never had a bad experience here. Great for families with kids or just adults. Edit: Two years later my family is still coming here. Even after multiple hurricane strikes this place has rebuilt with a new dock and waterside seating. A bit pricey but worth it.

Always a little rude here and food rings up a different price than what’s on the menu and when confronted they acknowledged and said they are aware and smiled. They have good food, but their customer interaction is poor and the prices are dishonest.

Wicked Cantina Sarasota is a modern and relaxed dining destination that perfectly blends the vibrant flavors of Tex-Mex cuisine with a laid-back atmosphere. Located on Sarasota's North Trail and also in Bradenton Beach, this eatery is renowned for its delicious offerings, including tacos, enchiladas, and burritos filled with well-seasoned meats like ground beef, slow-roasted pork, and chicken.
Enjoyed a flavorful, fresh, delicious Tex Mex lunch in a lively, colorful dining area with a great music playlist!!! Our server, Chris, was attentive, helpful, and friendly. Close to the Sarasota airport, so was perfect for us after landing hungry! The complimentary fresh tortilla chips and spicy salsa took the edge off. The Blackened Mahi Tacos, Chicken Tortilla soup, and soft tacos were super yummy and the Mexican rice, black beans and pico actually tasted great unlike other restaurants Overall, a wonderful dining experience!! The owners seem to genuinely care about customers and take pride in offering fresh tasty culinary TexMex creations! Highly recommend!

We were traveling to Sarasota and we were in the area. After looking up some Google reviews we decided to stop here for lunch. We made it for happy hour and ordered a couple of margaritas and let me tell you, fantastic! We had a small appetizer of bacon/shrimp jalapeno along with some chips and salsa. The chips and salsa alone were fantastic and we even joked, I wish this salsa was for sale. Well guess what, it was for sale! We of course bought a tub of it. My girlfriend ordered the fajitas and I ordered the mixed enchilada plate. Both were excellent and I would have posted pictures but I was so hungry and it was so delicious that I actually forgot to take pics. If we ever come back to this area you better believe we are heading back here! Recommended for sure, from the atmosphere, the food and the service were phenomenal.

I go here every 6 weeks or so. Always order the same outstanding dish. Steak fajitas with all the free side dishes. The price for all that is ridiculously low. You better get there before 6 pm because after the place is full. Fabulous fairly cheap food. Big portions. Fabulous cheap drinks. Best watering hole in Sarasota.

We ate here just for some drinks and appetizers. After going to the Ringling Museum. They have another location that's closer to the beach that we went to later in the week as well. We absolutely loved the chips, salsa, loaded guacamole, would definitely recommend! I believe they have happy hour deals as well. Loved the vibe. Inside it's got really cool decor, but there's also outdoor seating. It looks like there's a lot of people who work in the area that come here as well. Which tells you it's not just a touristy place. It's a staple that you can depend on for good service and good food.

We always have an amazing experience at Wicket Cantina in Sarasota! The vibe is fun, the food is flavorful and fresh and Margaritas are great!!their daily happy hour is a plus, but what truly made our visit unforgettable was our server, Skye. From the moment we sat down, Skye was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive She had great recommendations (definitely try the shrimp ceviche and margaritas!), and her upbeat energy made us feel like we were longtime friends rather than first-time guests. Great place for Mexican lunch or dinner and for sure some yummy Margaritas.

I recently visited this quaint spot for dinner and had a delightful experience. The Thai red curry seafood linguine was flavorful and satisfying, though I personally felt it could have been spicier to enhance the dish. On the other hand, the Korean BBQ meatloaf was exceptional—rich, tender, and packed with flavor. Overall, it's a great place to try, offering a unique mix of dishes that cater to different tastes. The cozy atmosphere adds to the charm, making it a pleasant spot to enjoy a meal. I'd definitely recommend giving it a visit!

Early dinner at 530 pm in the tourist off season was unrushed and uncrowded. See the included photos of the current menu with prices. The calamari was breaded in some of the lightest, crispiest breading we've tried to date. The dipping sauce seemed to be soy based with a splash of fish sauce maybe...it was very unique and tasty. The spicy Thai red curry seafood and linguine was delicious and filling. Just enough heat (spice) to leave your mouth humming slightly at the end of the meal. The beef short rib fettuccine was so well executed and the beef clearly was hand prepared in house. This entire meal reminded us of upscale comfort food. We enjoyed our meal and will be back. We did not include the extensive alcoholic beverage menu in our pictures as we did not consume alcohol with our meal. We also did not include the specials menu that had three or four different options.

I’m not local so sometimes it’s not easy to decide where to go for dinner. I was looking for a nice spot with healthy options. Baker and Wife seemed like a good fit, so my boyfriend and I decided to try. It did not disappoint! We started with a French glass of wine each while waiting for our food. Our server was very polite and friendly providing information about the menu since it was our first time there. We like to try different foods so always order two different meals. Spicy Thai red curry seafood & linguine + oven roasted salmon with cilantro sauce and a side of salad (I wasn’t a fan of raw green beans in my salad, I think a better option would be - asparagus 👌). We ended up splitting a cheesecake with some tart cherries 🍒 and sweet cream - we enjoyed every bite! That was a very romantic night. Great spot for a date night. I recommend.

a solid 4. i had the chicken with couscous, which was delicious — so is the tuna tartare. steak frites was just steak frites, and beware, the goat cheese, broccoli and butternut squash is served cold! no bread basket and laissez-faire service. good, but not great.

We had a party of seven and ordered several appetizers so a wide variety of samples from their menu, every one of which was excellent And several comments, solve if not the very best they had had of particular dishes. The waiter was excellent. Be advised, there were many locals at this place, which is always a good sign. However, given the nature of the building and seating and high degree of conversations going on, it's a pretty good follow to speak over. If you are looking for a quiet intimate setting, I would suggest find out when their off peak hours are, otherwise everything great.

Located in the heart of Sarasota's historic downtown, MeLange is a modern dining spot that offers an eclectic mix of American cuisine with dishes like rabbit tacos and quail, complemented by a variety of cocktails. The restaurant prides itself on taking diners on a culinary journey around the world through its ever-evolving menu, which reflects seasonal influences, food industry trends, and Chef Lan's global travels.
If you're looking to try some unconventional food, this is the place to go! Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable. I had the rabbit tacos, duck spring rolls and the beef short ribs. I had never had rabbit before and it was so tender and juicy. The texture was similar to like beef or pulled pork. The duck spring rolls were delicious and the beef short ribs just melted in your mouth. I also had the melange drink which was very balanced. I'd come back here on vacation just to go on this culinary journey again.

A small but unique restaurant with delicious food and caring staff. Menu is small but all that we ordered was prepared wonderfully and tasted great. We had the tuna tartare appetizer. Main meals were the salmon and the short ribs. The salmon was prepared. Perfect. Crispy on the outside and medium rare on the inside. My husband said his short ribs or rather his short rib was delicious! His dish was prepared with just one rib and I think he would have liked to have a little more meat. Probably would have given five stars if there were more than one short rib.

Not sure how this one escaped me until now! Another instance where our intended destination was closed, and we just happened upon this little gem. What a happy accident. The menu is fun. Venison. Duck. Quail (stuffed), oh my. We had the crab soup. Highly recommend. The stuffed quail was amazing, but the risotto and veg was so good. Also had the mushroom strudel which was light and flavorful. Ended with the crème brûlée. Awesome. Can’t wait to go back and try more.

What a wonderful place. We came in from Iowa. Tried many things on the menu. We had the rabbit tacos and crispy duck spring rolls for appetizer. For main course had the special which was magi Mahi and also had the Beef Short ribs. Both of them excellent also. We usually don’t order desert but we had to try Vanilla Lavender Crème Brûlée and Apple Cinnamon tart. The they were both awesome also but the Crème Brûlée was to die for.

In all fairness we attended the tasting menu. We went in with an open mind full well knowing that it was possible that not everything might be what we liked. Unfortunately for me a lot of what Lan made became a texture, mind over matter issue for me. The items I did eat were amazing! The Panna Cota, fois Gros and boar belly, I could just not tolerate. Will need to give the regular menu a shot!

What to say about Melange? It is truly a marriage of flavors and cuisines with friendly service. The 1 server and 2 chefs are truly champions of making a suddenly busy night into a true success. There were 2 or 3 guests in the restaurant when we arrived at 10:30 PM, and all of a sudden 2 big parties came in and it seemed like it was 7:30 PM instead, so GREAT JOB you guys! You have to, no, in fact, you MUST eat the octopus with the squid ink risotto. We love octopus and this set the bar so HIGH we don't know what to do with. The Chicken and waffles were good but they need to change the brand of waffles or maybe make them fresh at the moment. The cheese platter was great but the focaccia bread they serve completely made our night because we don't normally eat bread anymore so it made even more special!! Keep it up!
R4F4 — Google review
Excellent service and food! Everything we ordered was tasty and the presentation so beautiful, made by a knowledgeable chef. The bartender even made us drinks that weren't on the menu: one of them with Fernet Branca, malbec, cardamom and egg. My husband loves Fernet and we were surprised! We had dinner here two nights in a row since we loved the food so much and it was our last weekend in Sarasota. We ordered rabbit tacos, duck crepe, focaccia, mushroom strudel, creme brûlée and tiramisu (the best).

They would not give me an itemized receipt my kids SPLIT rice and beans and ONE Gordita that didn’t even come prepared with lettuce, cheese nothing it was just plain masa and steak…my husband got menudo and I got chilaquiles with eggs. According to the menu it should have been $54 went back and got a receipt and the prices were higher than the menu. The server barely smiles doesn’t bring napkins and included an 18% tip on the bill. I will never go back the food didn’t even have flavor

No refills. The soft drinks are not fountain drinks but cans...at 1.50 each. The ceiling tiles near the vent had floating dust balls barely hanging on. Staff is very friendly though. Chef Gino Calleja, previously of renowned local eateries, brings his expertise to Reyna's, where patrons can enjoy indoor and covered outdoor seating with counter-to-table service.
I want small bites and it’s perfect because they sell individual tacos. $4/pc + tax. I ordered Barbacoa and Shrimp one. Both were delicious but I would recommend their Shrimp Tacos. I will definitely come back to try different food. I don’t know maybe just me, but the music was too loud. They have indoor and outdoor spaces.

Had birria taco for the first time. I didn't know what to expect from the consume but it was not bad. The tacos were fresh and flavorful and the red sauce they added to the side was definitely SPICY. Too spicy for this puerto rican. I also got the horchata. Never had that before either. That was very good as well. For a dessert I got a flan and I never cared for flan but decided to try it just to see if I would like it. It not bad but because I dont care for flan I wasnt a fan but it not their fault but it definitely taste like your typical flan. So I definitely will give this place more chances to try different options.

We wanted Birria tacos tonight and they offer this on the menu, well it did not taste like Birria at all. The tacos were good but totally lacking the Birria spices that make the flavor. The consume tasted like beef broth. I like their food it is good, but I would not have this again here.

Where’s the MEAT! The most skimp and bland burrito I’ve ever had. Missing beans, cheese and FLAVOR. Doesn’t take like Mexican food, the sauce isn’t good and also didn’t taste like real authentic salsa verde. Waste of money.

Birria tacos were very good. The flavor was authentic I will say. Husband was not fond of the almost $15 soup of the day. It was mostly liquid. He couldn’t eat it all. This is a walk up and order, sit down and wait for them to bring it to you type of restaurant. Was very pricey in my opinion. Compared to a full service Mexican restaurant the prices were good.

The food was phenomenal, will be back next week for tacos!

Went for lunch and was very disappointed. First the nacho chips were like cement, really hard and salsa just ok. We had tacos and there was hardly any meat and like no toppings and very dry. Honestly, I would have enjoyed taco bell better and I don't particularly think that is all that good. I honestly question these reviews or most just have no clue what good food really is....

FushiPoke & Ramen is a laid-back restaurant that offers a variety of options including poké bowls, ramen dishes, and steam buns. Customers have praised the tofu for its great texture and fresh toppings, as well as the friendly service and value for money. The restaurant provides options for reusable or disposable chopsticks/forks and offers filtered water or lemon-cucumber infused water. The decor features tiny plants in the front window and there are board games available to play.
Their sesame tofu bowl is amazing! So much flavor in the tofu which is missed by so many restaurants attempting to provide a vegan or vegetarian option. This place is a new favorite! Many vegan sauces as well. High protein vegan meals are tough to find and non vegan restaurants but not this one!

Super cute restaurant and the poke was pretty good but their prices are actually insane. 14 dollars for an extra scoop of tuna is criminal. They try to justify it that their sizes are larger than other places so they “charge by the pound” but like good grief.

Our Ramen Go-To Spot downtown!! We go to Fushipoke often and always have a good experience. It’s fast, self-service style, perfect for when you want something good without a long wait. The tonkatsu ramen is a favorite for us, broth is thick and flavorful, we always enjoy the Pork belly, the poke bowls have lots of fresh options so you can build your own and baos (Shrimp and pork belly) are all very tasty and cook fresh. The vibe is colorful and relaxed, with fun decorations, paper lanterns and pretty cherry blossom trees make the place feel fun and colorful. kids love playing the board games while waiting for the food. We also love the fresh lemon water and the little condiments area where you can grab whatever you need. They have a wall full of Asian snacks, candy, and drinks you can buy, the kids always find something fun to take home. You order at the counter, and the staff (who are always super friendly, polite, and helpful) brings your food to your table when it’s ready. After you eat, you bus your own table, keeping the whole vibe casual and chill. They also offer different flavors of sake, which is a nice bonus if you’re in the mood for something extra. Prices have gone up recently, but still worth it with the quality of the food, good service, and the convenient location. Definitely a good fast option for Ramen and Asian flavors in downtown Sarasota!

The food here was absolutely delicious. I had a poke bowl with salmon and my kid had a Ramen bowl. Both were great tasting and fresh. The service was also great. The people there were smiley and friendly. The atmosphere was sweet and quiet despite having an almost full dining room. Would definitely go here again and recommend to everyone!

World class ramen. Fushi has been the best in town for years now. Flavor, ingredients, service and cleanliness - all top notch!

This place is amazing ! Delicious tasty food, generous portions, fresh ingredients and very friendly and patient staff. Air conditioned nook for a quick meal or a feast. Simply incredible. Would eat here 365 days a year. Thank you

Welcomed and served by friendly staff, the food was good/average but not great. One gets served the poke bowl in a carton which you can either take home or eat in at the back of the store. I didn’t got the feeling that the tables got cleaned after customers who ate in left. At the end the portion did turn out to be large enough for our kids, so we got to take it with us (in the carton bowl, for which we could get a convenient lid).

Salvadoran restaurant
Mexican restaurant
Bitia's Taqueria is a delightful gem in Sarasota, renowned for its authentic Salvadoran cuisine, particularly the beloved pupusas. These griddled corn pancakes are a must-try and come stuffed with various fillings that showcase the rich flavors of El Salvador. While their tacos offer an array of options, the beef barbacoa stands out as a highlight—tender and flavorful without being overly greasy.
Dear Lord, a little piece of heaven on earth!!! We met a couple while there that had driven over an hour to eat their Pupusas! They were incredible but hard to say which was better the pork Pupusas or the Pork belly burrito! The good news is you don't have to choose! It is very reasonably priced so hopefully you can get both! I cannot wait to come back. Thanks for the great experience. Sorry the photos aren't the highest quality I was so excited to eat by the time I remembered it was halfway gone

This was a nice authentic experience. I loved everything we ordered. I only got a pic of the last taco. It was so good I forgot to take pictures. I recommend taking it home to eat. They have authentic snacks and drinks. I got a passion fruit drink and it was delicious. Very affordable. Very good. You get plenty of food for your money.

My Salvadorean hubby & i really enjoyed our food from here. The pupusas hit close to home & were fantastic! We got 6 chicharrón y queso pupusas, carne asada, & a quesadilla. The pupusas have lots of filling and the masa isn't too thick & they are big! The carne was tender as well. Good value and great service. The gentleman in the dining room was super accommodating & kind! Will definitely come here for our Salvadorean cravings again!

Good place owned by hard working people who also make great food! Would keep up the good work and amazing service. Just a reminder never forget to keep everything clean to make sure your customers feel safe about the food they eat. Good place to eat and enjoy a good time with family or friends.

Previous reviews were correct. Fresh food at fair prices. I enjoyed my pulled pork burrito $6. Generous lunch portion. Bathroom was recently remodeled. Served quickly. Cashier bilingual.

Bitia’s is amazing! The pupusas are hands down the best I’ve ever had—hot, cheesy, and full of flavor. The tacos (beef and chicken) were super tasty too, juicy and perfectly seasoned. I also tried a few of their Salvadoran dishes and everything tasted homemade and fresh. The beans, rice, and curtido were so good I could honestly eat them every day. On top of the food, the staff is super friendly and the vibe is really welcoming. Definitely my new favorite spot when I’m craving delicious authentic pupusas, tacos, or just a delicious meal.

HOMEMADE!!! the food is authentic from El Salvador. Family run business. So fresh & so delicious!!! Order the papusa (called gordita in Mexico) and try their melon 🍈 drink. Their platters also amazing!!! Yum!!! Will be back! Small place and they are busy!

Ridley's Porch is a laid-back, beachside spot located inside The Ritz-Carlton Beach Club in Sarasota, FL. It offers a perfect sunset view of the Gulf and the chance to spot sea turtles while dining. Visitors can enjoy well-prepared dishes such as Mahi-Mahi sandwiches and tasty fries. The friendly and accommodating staff, including servers like Kyra, Marisa, and Danny, contribute to a great dining experience.
Excellent location to watch the sunset and we had the most kind and attentive server. We shared the Greek Salad and both had the Open Blue Cobia which was hearty and absolutely delicious. Mine was on the butternut squash risotto. The two paired together was perfection.

We’ve had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Beach Residences for the past two months, and it’s been nothing short of a dream (LOL, basically my most favorite week-long vacation times eight)! A major highlight of our stay has been Ridley’s Porch, the on-site restaurant. With its stunning view of the pool and Gulf, it offers some of the most breathtaking sunsets you could ever imagine. From the moment we arrive at Ridley’s Porch, the exceptional Ritz-Carlton service shines through. The valet team—Fico, David, and Thomas - always greet us with warmth, setting a fantastic tone for each visit. We’ve enjoyed chatting with them about life and admiring the beautiful cars that line the driveway! During our stay, we were fortunate to attend both the French and Spanish wine dinners. The food was outstanding (thank you, Chef Eddy, and Sous Chef Austin!), the wine pairings were impeccable, and we learned so much about the vineyards and varietals. The service was top-notch, and we were lucky to have such great company at our table. Whether dining indoors or outdoors, at lunch or dinner, the service (servers and runners), food, and drinks were consistently exceptional. We especially loved how the menu evolved during our stay, giving us new and exciting options to try. One of our favorite moments was enjoying happy hour at the bar after a relaxing day at the beach. The set menu offers delicious food, and the daily drink specials are a great touch. It’s the perfect way to unwind while catching the sunset. Cyrene and Michelle were fantastic—so friendly, they made us feel right at home, like we were at one of our favorite local bars. One evening when I wasn’t feeling the best, Yonney kindly suggested and made me a ginger and bitters…and I immediately started feeling better! We also took advantage of the takeout, which was always delicious, particularly the fresh salads, which were packed so thoughtfully. During our stay, I had a bit of a last-minute dilemma on Super Bowl Sunday when I needed food for a boat ride. I remembered meeting Juan Cordoba, the Director of Beach Club Operations, one evening during sunset and again at a beach party. He was working alongside his team, which showed how hands-on and dedicated he is. Juan listened to my needs and quickly arranged a menu that from kemp’s Market that allowed us to enjoy a leisurely boat ride before the Super Bowl, without interfering with my preparations for the evening. The food was ready before the restaurant even opened, and everything was perfect—huge thanks to Juan and the Sunday morning kitchen staff for going above and beyond! As we prepare to leave later this week, it’s definitely bittersweet. We’ve truly loved our time here and are already looking forward to returning next year. If we were residents, there’s no doubt we’d be members! I’d be remiss not to mention the fantastic team members we encountered along the way at Ridley’s Porch—special thanks to the Ladies and Gentlemen – you are an amazing team! • Culinary Team: Chef Eddy and Sous Chef Austin • Food Runners: Piero, Alian, Patricia, and Adriana • Bartenders: Eric, Cyrene, Michelle, Britt, Yonney, and Joe • Ridley’s Porch: William, Clarissa, Anna, and Angelina • Kemp’s Market: Francesco and Carlie • Valet Team: David, Thomas, and Fico • Leadership: Jay and Caitlin, who are always on and behind the scenes supporting the team in every situation. PS: Dining at Ridley's Porch is also an added benefit when staying at the Ritz Carlton, Sarasota. The hotel also provides a bus shuttle service to take you door to door!

I think they were either terribly understaffed or just didn’t prioritize time. We had reservations and showed up on time only to be told they couldn’t seat us just yet and to have a drink at the bar while we wait. Not a problem even though I thought it odd that there were only 6 tables occupied and many tables empty. We ended up waiting 30 minutes at the bar before our table was ready. Another 5-10 for a waitress to bring waters/bread & menus. We ordered an appetizer (sweet potato bites which were delicious) but after that took another 15 or so minutes, we figured that it would most likely be another hour before we would even see an entree so we decided to change plans from there. Everything was delicious and servers were very nice but was just a little slow in my opinion.
J G — Google review
I couldn’t be inside for more than a minute. Had a leave. They have large, 1’x6”x6” perfume diffusers in each corner of the restaurant. The smell is overwhelming like fake, synthetic flowers.. I can’t eat food while being accosted by perfume and I won’t eat food coming out of a kitchen with fragrance fumes all over it. So toxic. I don’t understand the choice. I have been to several Ritz properties and have never experienced something like this. I want restaurants to smell like freshly prepared, mouthwatering food, not my grandma’s air freshener.

We had a wonderful lunch here! We’ve been staying at this Ritz for over 3 years in Sarasota and decided to try here for lunch and it did not disappoint! Fried shrimp was delicious as well as the Greek salad. Finished it off with the lobster rolls and they did not disappoint. Lindsey was amazing and showed Stellar customer service! We will be back again for sure!

Dinner menu is not good. Beautiful location, amazing sunsets, drinks good, service great, this is my 4th year staying here and lunch has always been fine. BUT I finally had dinner here and it was very disappointing. How can you serve up terrible seafood pasta in Florida? The mahi was also dry and kind of sad looking. And not cheap either. Maybe we ordered wrong but seafood should have been a pretty safe bet. I’ll stick to lunch on the beach or a sunset cocktail. Definitely pass on dinner.
Lisa B — Google review
Enjoyed lunch sitting outside on a warm November afternoon. No one else around when we arrived. Server was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Everything prepared well and arrived quickly. Mahi-Mahi sandwich was cooked perfectly, flaky but not dried out. Bun was too thick for my liking, so I didn't eat most of that. Fries were awesome. Had a hot dog from here while on the beach another day. Not worth the money, but tasted good. Nachos looked very good (heard they were amazing). Menu isn't huge, but has a great variety for all tastes. Could use a few more beers on tap. Can't beat the view here, that's for sure!

Casa Masa is a charming spot with a friendly staff and a cozy interior. They are known for their homemade blue corn tortillas and daily special craft tacos. The birria taco is recommended, although some may find it lacking in heat. The Brussel sprouts taco comes highly praised as well. While the prices may be higher than expected, the food quality justifies it. Dishes like El Pastor Mexican Pizza and soft crab taco are highlights on the menu.
If you’re on the hunt for bold flavors, satisfying and refreshing drinks, and a place that just feels like your new go-to, Casa Masa checks all the boxes and then some. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and an upbeat, welcoming vibe. The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming—think rustic charm meets vibrant, festive energy. Perfect for a casual lunch spot, a night out, or even a spontaneous margarita fix. Let’s talk about the food: absolutely delicious. The chips came out warm and crisp, paired with fresh salsa that had just the right amount of kick. Every dish that hit the table was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. Portions are generous, so come hungry or plan to leave with leftovers. And the drinks? Top-tier. We came on Margarita Monday! Their margaritas are strong, well-balanced. The bartender definitely knew what she was doing. What really sealed the deal for us was the staff. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely excited about the food they’re serving—it makes all the difference. You can tell there’s pride in the service and a real desire to make your experience memorable. Highly recommend—i was already planning my comeback before leaving.

Really cool little place. Unique menu - things I've certainly never seen on a menu. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated the options here. A sweet potato taco and brussels without bacon - it was delicious. The bartender was nice, too.

Our first time and it was fantastic. So unique! Right from the start, house made blue corn chips fried in beef tallow paired with a fresh huge bowl of guacomole. Then we enjoyed amazing foods I can pronounce- but loved every bite! The Mole sauce was out of this world. If you want Tex-Mex take a pass. If you want to delight in lovingly prepared special dishes you won’t find anywhere else. Don’t miss this!

First time here and it was nice. We had a nice waitress/bartender and she was delightful. The food was good I had the birria tacos and my husband the carne asada. Though mine was good he wished they used cheese that was melted but he got another type of cheese. So he thought it was okay. But for a not traditional Mexican restaurant it was nice and viby. Would come back, they add there twist to the food which is pretty interesting.

Great service, great food and amazing cocktails! I had the smoke show. A nice mezcal cocktail with natural sweetness from the pineapple juice only. The tacos were amazing! I had Brussels sprouts and grilled octopus. 10/10. I will be back for more.

A must have dining experience! Amazing tacos and incredibly friendly service. Best kept secret... and I'm letting you know. Try the drinks... guacamole, queso, and everything on the menu! 😊😊

Great service. Eclectic menu. We both ordered the burrito. Beans burrito was bland, so order the hot sauces to add flavor. The birria burrito was better, very unique dipping sauce on the side. The flavor reminded me of Skyline Chili in Cincinnati. Beer menu was weak, almost no selection. Plentiful selection of tequila drinks to choose from.

First off, Chachi provided outstanding service and spot-on recommendations! What started as an unplanned stop has now become our official must-visit whenever we’re in the area—and we've already told our friends. The lobster enquites, tacos, and drinks… wow! This isn’t just food—it’s crafted.

Nestled in a charming beachside location, Barnacle Bill's Seafood is the perfect spot for seafood lovers seeking a relaxed dining experience. With an extensive menu featuring classic seafood dishes and over 100 beer options, this laid-back restaurant truly caters to every palate. Guests can indulge in the freshest catch of the day served on generous platters or explore their seafood market, where they can select from an array of fish and crab legs to be cooked just how they like it.
We almost didn't stop here because of the 3-star overall rating. But then I noticed why. As a proud gun owner AND Democrat, I won't let political opinions get in the way of a good meal. And what a great seafood meal we had! First, the gentleman that seated us was very patient, checking for any table that was near a wall outlet, at my request. Even though he was unable to find an outlet near a table (clearly, I was the first to ask), he offered to charge my phone in the bar. I politely declined, because I had food photos to take, of course! And I had portable backup batteries with me. Barnacle Bill's has a rather large menu. And I was delighted to find a $12.99 Early Bird menu, valid from 4:00-5:30pm every day including weekends. They also offer a quite a beer menu. I'm no beer expert but the selection seemed broad. Their website advertises more than 100 beers. We were also pleased to find a Saturday Happy Hour until 7pm. I think my Bud Light draft was $2.50 and my Cape Cod (cranberry juice & vodka) was $3.75. I ordered the Seafood Streudel from the $12.99 Early Bird menu, which features lobster, shrimp, crab & scallops, simmered in a seafood veloute, and stuffed into a puffed pastry with a lobster sauce drizzle. And I do mean STUFFED. That was the most amazing seafood entree I've ever had! IDK what "seafood veloute" is, but I don't think I tasted it or saw it... All I could see was chunks of seafood & shrimp (because they're easy to spot) and it tasted amazingly. AMAZING. With my entree, I also chose a house salad with ranch, and was delighted with the freshness & quantity of greens. This was a fairly big salad to be *just* a side salad. And the ranch dressing was exceptional. My entree also included another side, and I chose mashed potatoes... I was served REAL mashed potatoes. They were divine. I sat there until I finished every single bite of everything. Sorry for the wait, hubs. #SorryNotSorry The Early Bird comes with a small dessert as well. I opted for a chocolate mousse, while hubs picked a scoop of vanilla. And both were delicious. Hubs enjoyed his Shrimp Dinner featuring llarge fried shrimp with a side & soup or salad, also from the Early Bird menu for $12.99. I had one of his shrimp & loved it. Not overcooked, with a perfect fry. He also had the mashed potatoes, and agreed they were heavenly. The decor is casual, bordering on tacky... But beyond not knowing what to expect visually, I was overly pleased with our decision to eat here. The booths are intimate, yet spacious for probably 6 people. The bar area seemed small as we walked by, but I saw a large TV with college football. Hubs & I will return soon!I
Lori B — Google review
Upon entry, our party stood there several minutes, while several employees passed us and we were never greeted. We were seated and provided menus in 3 ring school folders. The decor is remininicent of Golden Corral. When I asked for a half-and-half Tea, ( half sweet half, half unsweet) the waiter corrected me and said it was a, "blended tea". I've lived in the South for 4 years, and never heard it called that. Classic rock music was being played loudly over the speakers. Apparently too loudly for the waiter to hear me when I ordered, he blurted, "What? I can't hear you!" Not, "Pardon me," or "Excuse me." Needless to say, the service and décor is not in line with the menu prices. The food was average and palatable, and presented well. This is our second disappointment with Barnacle Bills in Sarasota, as had a similar disappointing service at the downtown location. We will not be returning.

Eat Here, Sarasota's seafood restaurant, features a contemporary space with locally caught seafood as its focal point. The restaurant changes its menu daily based on the tide's mood and the chef's whims. Every dish I've tried has been amazing – from the pearly mahi-mahi tacos to the lobster bisque. If you're looking for a delicious seafood dinner in a modern setting, Eat Here is definitely worth checking out!
One of the most exciting restaurants in Sarasota. The space is loud and fun, and so is the food. Eclectic and creative, the menu offers great flavor for a good value. The bar upstairs actually feels young, which is refreshing when compared to other restaurants in the area. Conveniently located across from the movies, this is a must pre-cinema stop. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. If you're stiff, you'll want to stay away...the food is served as it is ready, not all at once. Sharing is the norm. It is upscale compared to some of the dives on Siesta Key, but just as much fun. I think of it as the perfect Sarasota restaurant - frankly, it would fit in almost any US city with ease.
David S — Google review
I am rooting for this Sarasota-Downtown restaurant, but like so many nighttime eateries in the area, Eat Here falls short of restaurant standards for the way the food is cooked. The message is inviting and prominent, "Eat Here, there is variety, life and convenience!" The concept is shared-table cuisine, orders that come one at a time when ready, and hopefully you are sitting with loved ones that are open to sharing food and eating from each others plate. I know I am! The location and hours are fantastic! It is wonderful to be able to sit and eat in a family friendly environment, but when you are paying 8-10 per item, and bound to sample at least two items per individual, you want the food cooked right. There are unique touches to the experience that are impressionable, the tables are artistic, the bottled water refreshing, and the service quick and polite. Our experience last Friday 11/2/12 was a veggie pizza that was burnt on the sides, not just slightly singed, but charcoal across the top and bottom, and lobster tacos that would have been flavorful if the lobster was not chewy and overcooked. Neither the chef, nor the waitress were aware of our charred pizza as it was delivered to the table. The personnel cleaning the tables were loud as they spoke, and their private, yet very amplified conversation detracted from the dinner experience. Also, as fantastic as the band is that plays live music, the volume is way off the top and intrusive, which has kept us away from eating at the restaurant for the last 2 months. Its the volume, not the quality that could stand for adjustment. So we did try a dinner, and found that the enthusiasm to serve the customer, is way above the food that we received that evening. The LEVEL of SOUND from the band and personnel were in excess and detracted from the warmth of the ambiance. Eat Here is on the verge of being an awesome experience. I would not rate it Fair because of the investment, energy, and resources that have gone into developing this restaurant which is a great asset to nightlife for downtown. However, a restaurant should hit the mark on cooking the food that is on the menu, as this will excite customers to return.
Violet S — Google review
Scoped out the place for a few months, finally built up enough curiosity to try it after I saw the crowds it drew in. The restaurant itself presents itself to be very nice, and moldy artsy. The food is what lacks and does not hold up to there prices nor there image. Basically the best way I could describe my dinner was hospital food at best, dress up with garnishes and nicely displayed. (Veal meatloaf, mashed potatoes) my dates was less than appetizing equivalent of cambles tomato soup, and grease served, with grease and, a side of grease.... Will not be returning to say the least, but the server and atmosphere were on the spot.
Keith H — Google review
I was excited when I ate here. The caramel popcorn with cayenne pepper was delicious, and we got a free cheese pizza with veggies for happy hour (admittedly, we only drank water, but we were on a budget and going to order actual food). It was stereotypically hipster, but it was charming. I was going to order a salad. The "titanic" wasn't available without meat (I'm a vegetarian), so I thought I ordered the other salad. Apparently I didn't, and ended up waiting twenty minutes until the others finished their plate. I got a few bites from it, and they were decent, but it was mostly gross meat stuff. I didn't bother re-ordering the salad. Total bill came to $12 USD. I'd try it again, but I hope they learn from that lesson.
Dallas H — Google review
Not Dog Friendly-- I've eaten here in the past --nothing spectacular . They do have plenty outdoor seating. I arrived for dinner on a Sunday, not busy, and brought my Brittany Spaniel with me. The outside seating is very empty and I ask to be seated outside. I am told "they have no place for him". Completely unacceptable given that I have seen dogs there and that much higher end restaurants in the downtown area welcome dogs, Selva and Medetteranneo and Bijou to name a few. Host spoke to me like I was a tourist, guess they don't need my business and am glad to take it elsewhere and tell my friends. For all dog owners out there, forget this place.
