Tokyo Dome City is a vibrant entertainment district built around the Tokyo Dome, which serves as the Yomiuri Giants' home stadium. The area features an array of attractions including Tokyo Dome City Attractions (formerly Korakuen Amusement Park), offering diverse rides and a Ferris wheel. Additionally, visitors can unwind at LaQua, a spa complex, or catch martial arts events at Korakuen Hall. The district also houses the Tokyo Dome Hotel for convenient accommodation.
A Great All-in-One Entertainment Spot in Tokyo Tokyo Dome City is a vibrant urban entertainment zone that truly has it all. From the iconic Tokyo Dome and relaxing LaQua spa to various hotels nearby, everything is conveniently located in one area. I especially enjoyed the wide range of restaurants, cafés (including Starbucks), a bakery, and even a supermarket — perfect for both short visits and longer stays. There are plenty of leisure activities, shopping stores, and entertainment options to keep everyone busy. Plus, the area is easily accessible as it's close to the metro. A great place to explore, relax, and have fun in the heart of Tokyo!

Great spot if you’re a baseball fan—lots of energy, excitement, and team spirit in the air. But for someone like me, who’s not into baseball, it felt more like I accidentally wandered into a teenage reunion. So many young people around, I started questioning if I should be doing homework or downloading TikTok. Not really my scene, but if you’re into fastballs and youthful vibes, this place hits a home run.
Dave H — Google review
Very comfortable and quiet. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Do visit the 43rd floor artists board. My personal favourite "Perfume" is listed multiple times. Enjoy great views of the Tokyo Dome and the rest of the Tokyo skyline.

A great place to shop and eat as there are many restaurants and retail outlets. In addition there is a roller-coaster, ferris wheel and other rides.

It glows at night just giving that holiday vibe. There is a lot of food, entertainment, hotels and stores around the place. All just walking distance, really connected. Also, there are 3 train stations within the walking distances

Went to the Giants vs. Carp game. Incredible experience. The food selection was incredible. Atmosphere was great. Very polite as well. Only cheering for the teams. No booing.
Christian S — Google review
It's an area with a few rides next to the stadium, and various other attractions (indoor kids play place, haunted house thing), plus restaurants and shops. 3 stars because it can be confusing to navigate, especially with a baby in a pram (same for wheelchair users). The elevators are not straightforward to find and are often tucked away. I found that to get to the shopping area from the play zone, I had to exit and walk along the busy road because the underpass only had stairs. The food court area on 1F next to kids play place did not have enough seats for the number of food venues, but there are other restaurant options around.
Ru R — Google review
This amusement park is not that big and it has indoor and outdoor rides. Adult and kids can enjoy. The roller coaster is a must try but if you’re afraid of heights that’s a no. They have many restaurants to choose from.

Tokyo Dome is a remarkable venue nestled in the heart of Tokyo, renowned for its versatility as it hosts an array of events from thrilling baseball games to electrifying concerts and various sporting competitions. This iconic domed stadium serves as the home ground for the Yomiuri Giants and has welcomed legendary artists like Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, and Madonna over the years. Beyond just sports and music, visitors can explore Tokyo Dome City—a vibrant entertainment complex that includes amusement parks with exhilarating rides and attractions.
A stellar experience! A beautifully run and run managed baseball experience like I have never seen! Beer and mixed drink and snack girls constantly running up-and-down the aisles To provide you with a fun game day or night! Many employees around to help you find your seat in this massive structure! There is also a food and entertainment area. Just outside the walls of Tokyo dome. So that you can get your Bento boxes or tempura selections for the game....LOVED IT!!!!
Eric H — Google review
The Ferris wheel is pretty cool and it has a karaoke machine in each cabin. The small water ride also looked nice but I didn’t do it. The roller coaster was closed and it looked crazy. In general, if you’re in the area and want to kill some time then this is a good place to do that. You can buy tickets individually per ride or as a daily pass.

Beautiful area, beautiful stadium and just a nice area before a baseball game to be at. come early if you want to find your size in shirts and hats. and also to avoid lines. once inside, there is incredible different kinds of food. the stadium is easy to move around and anywhere you sit, it’s just a great experience.
Chris G — Google review
The best experience with the family!! To start with, the food options were amazing. Bento boxes, rice bowels, squid balls, such I & udon, chicken & beef options then more traditional western options like burgers, pulled pork, hot dogs etc. Hawaiian donuts & ice cream. You name it, they had it. And the beer variety was also extremely impressive. BUT don’t get a drink just yet, wait until you are in your seat and for the right beer girl to come zipping past with a keg on her back to pour you a fresh cold one. These girls are apparently famous in Tokyo, with their own playing cards and apparently some of them have made music videos and become actual pop stars! Only in Japan… The game was amazing, Giants Vs Karp. There seemed to be much rivalry between these two teams and the crowd was getting well into it! Songs, towels, flags….. They all loved it! All in all the stadium was extremely easy to get to having the station just off the grounds, it was a very fun and positive atmosphere all around, the kids loved it, the parents loved it and it was the perfect afternoon together. 5 stars for sure!🙌🏻
Jay M — Google review
A very well laid-out and organized venue for Giants Games. Staff are friendly and can work with foreigners. Signs are clear, and I have no problems finding my seat. I didn’t eat anything there, so I can’t speak to the quality of the food, but there seemed to be a good variety of Japanese game food, and you can bring food from outside if you prefer. For my experience I was in the cheer section, so I’ll speak to that. It was bleacher seating (bench with no back) and the seats were very narrow. There was no avoiding touching the person next to you. The energy though was wild! It’s a really cool experience if you’re ready for an intense cheer time! 👍🏼
Tamara G — Google review
Catching a Yomiuri Giants vs. Hiroshima Carp game at Tokyo Dome was one of the most electrifying experiences of our trip. Whether you’re a die-hard baseball fan or just curious about Japanese sports culture, this is a must-see for tourists and locals alike. The energy inside the dome is contagious—cheering sections, coordinated chants, and fans decked out in team gear make every inning feel like a celebration. The food scene inside the stadium is just as exciting. From bento boxes and yakitori to burgers, takoyaki, and soft-serve ice cream, there’s something for every craving. But the real MVPs? The beer girls. These incredible women carry mini kegs on their backs, hustling up and down the stairs with a smile, pouring fresh draft beer right at your seat. It’s a uniquely Japanese touch that adds to the festive atmosphere—and they deserve serious props for their stamina and charm. We had great seats and were surrounded by passionate fans, which made the game even more fun. The crowd was lively but respectful, and the stadium itself is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Access is a breeze—Tokyo Dome is directly connected to Suidobashi Station, and also walkable from Korakuen Station, making it super convenient via JR and Tokyo Metro lines. The surrounding area, Tokyo Dome City, is packed with attractions including an amusement park, shopping mall, restaurants, and even a spa, so you can easily make a full day out of your visit. Whether you’re there for the sport, the snacks, or just the vibe, Tokyo Dome delivers an unforgettable slice of Tokyo life. Don’t miss it.

During our two week stay in Tokyo we wanted to make sure to catch a baseball game! I am so glad we did because the Japanese put the USA to shame with the level of excitement and fun of the game. There are also lots of food and drink options at reasonable prices. We are not sure we can ever go to a game in the States again after this great experience at Tokyo Dome.
Brad S — Google review
I went to see Oasis in the Tokyo Dome on October 25th. The entrance went smoothly, it was very clear where to go even from the other side of the dome. We bought a couple of drinks, (which you can pay for using your Suica card!) and went in. It was quite easy to find our seats, except for the fact that there was a British couple in our seats, which caused a bit of confusion on both our sides. Ah well. The opening act, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, was quite cool. During the opening act I wanted to buy us another drink but the shops were all closed so the only option we had was the vending machine. We sat in the SS area, which is supposed to be one of the better seats in the dome, but our view got blocked by one of the six mega sound systems. Once the show was over, it only took us about 10 minutes to get outside. All in all it was very impressive and lots of fun to see Oasis live in Tokyo.

Its a good and well stocked Daiso store. It is a little hidden, you need to enter the supermarket underneath to reach the 2nd floor. They have a good selection of drinking glasses and tableware here. And the Christmas section is being put together at the front of the store right now. There's lots of nice ornaments, cards and seasonal decorations.

To enter the store, you first need to enter the grocery store main entrance and then take the escalator right in front. They have a good variety of items. If you want to bring back a gift but don't want to spend too much, this is a great place since they do have some items made in Japan.

Omoide Yokocho, also known as Memory Lane Alley or Yakitori Alley, is a renowned landmark in Tokyo located just north of Shinjuku station. Once a black market area post-World War II, it has transformed into a bustling alleyway filled with tightly compressed restaurants offering cheap izakaya food and alcoholic drinks. The vibrant atmosphere attracts both locals and tourists seeking to savor its culinary offerings.
Omoide Yokocho, also known as "Memory Lane" or "Piss Alley" (don't worry; that name is no longer applicable), is a cross-section of narrow alleys, populated by multiple small bars, watering holes and restaurants (izakaya), insanely popular with both locals and foreigners, ALWAYS packed to the gills and stuffed with drinkers and diners from all over the world, to the point where the bodies begin to spill over into the street. It's one of the most fun and exciting places in all of Tokyo, which in itself is one of the most fun and exciting places in Japan/the world, so you know you are in for a good time here. Personally, I prefer the even grittier Golden Gai, a half mile or so away, but your mileage may vary. Omoide Yokocho is ostensibly (arguably) the more accessible, tourist-friendly of the two, but that is not always the case. Be aware; some bars have an otoshi (cover charge in the form of a small appetizer, that'll cost you a couple bucks), and others may be "cash only", "members only", or "Japanese only", depending on how deep into the weeds you delve; don't be offended, there's a good reason for the exclusivity. Whatever you do, when you come here: be brave; be polite; try something new. Do all of these things, and "Memory Lane" is sure to be a place you will never forget!

★★★★★ Omoide Yokocho, Shinjuku, Tokyo If you’re in Tokyo, go here. Tourist or not, this is the real thing. People call it a tourist trap. It’s not. You walk through narrow smoky alleys filled with tiny yakitori stalls. Each one has its own rhythm, its own smell, its own story. You sit shoulder to shoulder with strangers, surrounded by the sound of sizzling skewers and laughter. The chef who cooked for us was incredible. He kept pouring us shots of sake, making us taste different dishes from his grill — every single one was amazing. There was no menu, no prices, just trust. He cooked what he wanted, and we ate everything. We sat next to locals who didn’t speak English, and we didn’t speak Japanese. But we laughed, clinked glasses, and somehow understood each other. It was one of those moments that make travel special. If you ever find this place, and you see the chef from these photos, go there. He deserves every star. Come at night. Come hungry. Come thirsty. This is Tokyo at its best.
Efri D — Google review
Omoide Yokocho Memory Lane is a wonderful experience. As soon as you walk down the alley, the smell of freshly cooked yakitori on charcoal just draws you in. The only problem is finding a restaurant with a spare seat. Most of the restaurants are very small and only have seating for 6-10 people. We are a party of 4 so it was quite difficult fining a restaurant with free seats, but we were lucky enough to find one eventually. The food was really nice and we had a great time. It was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend a visit.
Andrew C — Google review
What can I say. This alley has an enchanting charm about it. When you walk down it on any given night, it will be filled with patrons from all over the world enjoying great food, cold beer, and the sounds of laughter fill the air, along with the aroma of all of the restaurants working their magic. This place is just incredible. I loved every second of it. You don’t know “vibe” until you visit Omoide Yokocho.
Michael S — Google review
Really small alley. Literally holes in the wall with eateries right next to each other. Patrons eating and sitting elbow to elbow, obviously locals. We came here on a weekday around 10am. A few establishments were open. The food smelled realllyyyy good. If you are the adventurous type, dont mind eating what the locals do then this is worth seeing.
Jay B — Google review
The memory lane is a crowded, tiny and narrow alley full of small bars and restaurants. It does not give privacy but seemed very cozy and fun. I did not try the food here but I did walk through the alley.
Chhanda B — Google review
It was cool and cute and all, but it is really just small and so many people. It feels kinda silly just walking there taking pictures with the other tourists when it is just that small and crowded. Honestly, overrated and not worth it to go there just to see it
Xoxo J — Google review
Good experience and met some tourist along the way from Netherlands, France and US. It was a great food but prepare to spend a little bit more as it is a bit touristy trap area. Great atmosphere. Definitely try one for experience unless you love skewers so much.

Isetan Shinjuku is a renowned department store in Japan, tracing its origins back to 1886 when it started as a kimono shop. Today, it is celebrated for its diverse range of products, from luxury brands to casual wear. The flagship store in Shinjuku is considered the birthplace of fashion trends and offers an extensive selection of fashion items from top global brands, beauty products, and gourmet food.
Arguably the best depachika in Tokyo. Do yourself a favour; head straight to the basement food section and buy to your stomach’s content. Then take the elevator to the 7th floor and take the stairs to the rooftop garden and enjoy your meal. This was one of the most fun experiences I had in Tokyo. The garden is huge and popular, plenty of seats, there’s toilets and of course a dedicated smoking area. I wouldn’t say the food here is cheap but you do get what you pay for and the quality is unbelievably high. The sushi I had was generous in portion and they will happily heat up any hot foods for you.

View @ Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Limited. . The sprawling flagship store in Shinjuku is also cordially known as a fashion museum, thanks to its carefully curated and extensive list of luxury brands, high-fashion and everyday wear, and stylish displays. . There is a rooftop garden on top of the Isetan main building. Loaded with beautiful flowers and grass land, as well as a Japanese temple! Good place if you want to feel the sun and the outdoor breeze after a long day of shopping.

Isetan Shinjuku is a Mecca for high end stores and in your face displays . Rare brands we don’t get to see everywhere are all available. Baccarat crystal, Christofle cutlery, Wedgwood crockery , the usual Gucci/Armani/Lv/Hermes. All in one store. Minor complaint: sometimes we need a place to sit so a few chairs for customers would t be so out of place . But this seems to be a Japan wide issue. Great store great ambiance though

The main branch “Shinjuku Isetan”, designated a historical landmark of Tokyo, is an old department store made up of several buildings, such as one mainly specializing in men’s items, and the Isetan Kaikan that mostly comprises restaurants and cafés. The main building is made of stone, and its retro exterior stands out amongst the modern buildings that line the Shinjuku area. The department store is particularly rich in fashion items, which are good quality and are enjoyed by a wide range of generations. The basement first floor of the underground level, known as Depachika, has a food market packed with delicious food, and is enjoyable even for browsing. The main building’s rooftop is a rooftop-garden, where seasonal flowers can be enjoyed.
Doug H — Google review
Isetan – Tokyo During our 2024 trip to Japan, we made sure to visit Isetan, one of Tokyo’s most iconic department stores, located in the bustling Shinjuku district. Known for its elegance, variety, and attention to detail, Isetan offers a shopping experience that is as refined as it is diverse, making it a must-visit destination for travelers seeking both luxury and authentic Japanese culture. The store itself is a multi-level showcase of fashion, beauty, home goods, and specialty items. Each floor is thoughtfully curated, with a mix of top international brands and the very best of Japanese craftsmanship. Whether browsing for high-end apparel, artisanal accessories, or seasonal gifts, Isetan’s selection feels both comprehensive and exclusive. But perhaps the crown jewel of Isetan is its basement food hall—a place that is nothing short of a gastronomic wonderland. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a dazzling array of colors, aromas, and textures. Fresh sushi and sashimi counters offered pristine seafood prepared with precision; bakery stalls displayed an artful assortment of breads and pastries; confectioners presented delicate wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) that looked almost too beautiful to eat. We found the bento section particularly fascinating—rows of exquisitely prepared lunch boxes, each a perfect balance of flavor, presentation, and seasonality. For photographers, the food court is a dream come true: every display is meticulously arranged, and the interplay of vibrant ingredients and immaculate presentation offers endless inspiration. The service, as expected in Japan, was exceptional. Staff members were attentive, polite, and always ready to help navigate the vast selection or explain the story behind a product. Even with the hustle and bustle of the food court, the atmosphere remained welcoming and orderly. Isetan is more than a department store—it’s a cultural experience. From the top fashion floors to the culinary treasures underground, it encapsulates the essence of Tokyo’s blend of tradition and modernity. We enjoyed our 2023 & 2024 visit immensely and are considering a return in 2025. Isetan, along with its remarkable food court, will be featured in our upcoming Photolator Guide to Japan, highlighted as one of Tokyo’s top shopping and gourmet destinations for travelers and photographers alike. At the food court, you can find some pre packaged (for gifts) Fruits, even a 50$ Melon ! (see the short video)

Tempura Shinjuku Tsunahachi Souhonten is a historic tempura restaurant that has been serving delicious tempura since 1923. Located in an old-fashioned building near Shinjuku Station, it's the largest outlet of Tsunahachi and offers both table and counter seating. The atmosphere is traditional and cozy, perfect for enjoying a meal. The restaurant's original location maintains its old-school charm with battered wooden premises.
Simply the best tempura I have ever had. The batter is so light that it's actually translucent. The chef is an exceptional artist. The seasonal vegetables are sourced from a small family farm. Everything is of superior quality. Reservations required. It is part of the Tsunahachi chain but a thousand times better than the other stores.

Came across this authentic looking restaurant with no queue so we gave it a try. Tempura shrimp cooked from live shrimp right in front of us, with perfect light crispy batter, remarkable. Fried fish and stuffed mushrooms both delicious. I ordered two sashimi, portions were generous and tasted fresh with natural sweetness. Service was great, would recommend.

Very old Tempura restaurant right in a middle of Shinjuku. Their lunch set gives you quite a bit tempura and tempura don also had many kinds on top of rice. Definitely recommend!
Kanae M — Google review
It was my first time to eat tempura shop in Japan. 10 of 10! Every piece of tempura which the chef will show you how to taste them with various seasoning. The texture was so incredible. Thank you so much, that was the best tempura I’ve ever had.
Jasmin T — Google review
This place is the real deal. Classic Tokyo tempura-ya. Quality ingredients. Solid seasonal selection. Killer atmosphere. Lovely people. Multiple counters and dining areas. And all at a very fair price. Don’t miss out on a pre-tempura appetizer of sashimi. Their fish is always excellent.
Astral T — Google review
Absolutely thrilled with the incredible satisfaction! The shrimp is truly phenomenal, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection.
Eric T — Google review
Consistent and delicious. One of the oldest (102 years) establishment in Shinjuku area, their insistence on freshest ingredients sets them apart from ordinary touristy tempura places. Nostalgic old building with ancient artifacts. Counter seats are the best to see the food preparation if you are willing to wait. Only drawback was the feeling of being rushed as their service was hurried and the atmosphere is like a fast food joint.
Bobo A — Google review
It's pricey for this standard. No premium ingredients option too. Regardless a good quick fix for tempura place..

Odakyu Department Store Shinjuku is a classic 14-story shopping complex near the West exit of Shinjuku Station. Owned by the Odakyu Railway Company, it has maintained its traditional Japanese department store style since 1962. The store offers a wide range of products, from luxury brands like Chanel to sportswear and electronics at HALC. With 16 floors and two basement levels dedicated to food, it caters to an older demographic but also offers something for everyone.
B1 is home to a superb grocery store, filled with traditional Japanese and western foods, drinks and sweets.

Mainly went here to visit the BicCamera store to get some Beyblades for a friend. Massive place, lots of floors full of merchandise for everyone. Staff were helpful. Would drop by again if in the area.

Proper department store with a wide range of products, really depending what you are looking for. The ground floor is full of luxury brands and we did receive a great service at Gucci although it's a bit of a pain to go down to the basement to sort out the tax refund. The upper floors are electronics, clothing etc. The basement is connected to the subway station and is a high end grocery store ranging from fresh seafood, fruit, sushi / sashimi, bento, confectionery etc. There are also plenty of local produce and foreign branded food / drink products.
Ricky L — Google review
This department store was so fun to shop in. The staff at the Gucci store was so friendly and helpful when I asked for a specific crossbody bag. The entire transaction was quick and pleasant. Nothing like the staff in Boston. Like other department stores, tax refund is on another floor. The makeup floor was a dream to be in. The basement floor have every type of food your heart desires. I had delicious chicken wings and sashimi bento box there.

I visited PIXAR!PIXAR!PIXAR! temporary displayed here. It was small, and the quality of the photos hung was terrible. Though, as a Pixar fan, I enjoyed it a lot.

I was so disappointed by Tax Refund staffs today 30th January 2024. They said I can’t get tax refund because the card that I used is not my card (my mother’s) so the name on the card isnt same as my passport For me tbh, as long as I paid and a tourist, I should get the refund. How a ridiculous rule they have. In other department store I can use my mom’s card. And the staff in tax refund in B1 is just so rude. Bad experience. Mitsukoshi and Takashimaya are the best.
Livia S — Google review
Too many things to see, however it depends on what exactly you want or need to buy and how much. There are luxury brands inside. The department store has ten floors in total. Close to half of the floors are dedicated to clothing and accessories — men, women, kids. There’s an art exhibit selling art made from various media. During my visit there was a chocolate fair downstairs because it was Valentine’s.

Keio Department Store Shinjuku, located at the west exit of Shinjuku Station, offers a diverse shopping experience for travelers and families. The 7th floor features an extensive toy section with interactive displays and a play area for toddlers. Travelers can conveniently access buses to Narita Airport from the mall's front, and tax rebates are easily obtainable at the Foreign Customer Counter on the second floor.
This establishment is sprawling. Each floor has something for everyone. My wife wanted to look at the pre owned purse and watch fair. She was gone for HOURS! She loved it.

A lot of choices , helpful staff. The tax free is very hard to get to. Something for everyone in the family. In the station itself , so easy to get to. Definitely recommend for a quick shopping trip
Vijayalakshmi K — Google review
Good that it offers tax free services, however the tax refund counter is very far away, also getting the 5% discount coupon is not user friendly as where to get the coupon is the same queue for tax refund so basically it is like spending time for tax refund twice.
Caroline T — Google review
This is the most boring place in Shinjuku. I sometimes have to go there to pick up special orders (which themselves have to be placed by phone or fax). If you're under 50, there's a good chance you're the youngest person there.
Kevin K — Google review
B1 food floor supermarket has a Legitimate selection of higher end groceries. Maze like layout detracts from the shopping experience. Mezzanine basement floor gift food and ready to eat section is nice. Being attached to Shinjuku Station the Bento selection is above average. Prices are a bit cheaper than fancier department stores.
Ducati P — Google review
We were waiting for the evening light projection show at the Tokyo Metro building so we decided to stop by and kill time here. Did not realized this was a department store and it was pretty big. Issue was some shops were spaced far between so it took a bit of walking. Good food options like other department stores. The Mizuno staffs were great, but we didn't buy because they didn't have what the kid was looking for, or his size (he has to be EE, not just E or W) The top floor is opened root top with plants and fishes! Not quite an aquarium or dedicated fish store, but it does has quite a few different kinds of gold fishes.
Steve T — Google review
Store has a lot of great food options and there are a lot of stores. Only would give it 3 stars because information person wasn't helpful in telling us where we could eat our food, just told us to take it back to the hotel even though we found a sitting area 2 min away and a place to eat food on the 7th floor.

Very nice department store. I should sueguest going to the the tempura restaurant for lunch. Even though they have expensive food, it worth it. Another great place is the model train store. I would definitely recommend going there for at least twenty minutes. Very nice place. Definitely come here to do your shopping. Easily accessable by the train.

Origami Kaikan in Tokyo is a hub for origami enthusiasts, offering exhibitions, workshops, and a shop dedicated to the traditional Japanese art of paper folding. Visitors can explore the history and techniques of origami, participate in hands-on activities, and purchase instructional books and origami paper packages. The facility also features a gallery showcasing intricate origami creations and offers insight into the process of dying washi paper.
This was a really fun stop for us! We got to meet the master himself, and he showed us some quick origami, which he could do without even looking. We bought one of his books, which he autographed. The prices are affordable, and we were showered with free origami gifts for coming. A word of warning - none of the employees here spoke English much, if at all, so be prepared for that. I would highly recommend this though!
L — Google review
Absolutely fantastic shop with incredible displays of some origami works. If you get the chance to meet the owner, he gives you a demo of some of the things you can make - his enthusiasm is amazing!! A must see when visiting Tokyo.

Extremely cute little shop and museum concerning the art of paper production and folding. Not only does it include many little origami creatures, but currently there is also an exhibition of the work of Carlo Vives I Torella. He invented new techniques and put his emphasis on designing greeting cards that you can marvel out and also open in this museum. You may even take part in a course which is only 1100yen. Definitely worth a visit if you are around the corner and want to experience this traditional Japanese art.

Love this place, small simple, yet full of origami art and tradition. We were treated with a surprise with a chance to learn from the director 🥰. There is a workshop upstairs that shows how the paper is colored. I personally really enjoyed this place after meeting the staff and learned from them.

Very lovely origami museum, with many different things happening. The paper drying section was very interesting and then the origami master came out and did a demonstration for us! It was very cool. We also bought his origami book and got his signature inside it. A very nice gift shop with many papers and origami things to buy. Would definitely recommend stopping by.

Amazing historical museum for origami. A must visit place for any crafter or fan of art & paper goods. Beautiful informative books in the gift shop. Workshops sometimes available in both Japanese and English. Watch them make beautiful sheets of oragami paper. I'm so happy I discovered this place on my trip. Thank you!

Amazing place! Everyone was so lovely in there and the origami master made us a rose ❤️❤️ so kind! Lots of things to buy too at really affordable prices! Also at the top floor you can learn how they dye the paper all the fun colours 🍀 and it’s free entry!
Jess — Google review
We got lucky enough to be there when the owner (and his wife, I believe) were doing a demonstration. He happily walked us through some "paper magic", played and bequeathed many small origami gifts. Hard not to come away humbled by the kindness and good spirit. The museum and gift shop both have some beautiful origami, plus an amazing paper dying factory on the top floor. Cool to see all that's possible with paper and dye, it looks more like a fixable fabric than paper the way it's used there.

Ianak! Boulangerie is a cozy bakery located near Nishi-Nippori station in Tokyo. The signature baguette, made with light brown flour, is a standout item. While the bakery is small and lacks seating, it offers an array of amazing croissants and sweet pastries that tend to sell out quickly. Visitors are encouraged to grab their treats to-go and can look forward to homemade bread at affordable prices.
A very decent bakery. The croissant was well made and tasty. The other breads also looked delicious, especially the pain au chocolat. I might visit again just for that.

I used to frequent TETSU Shinagawa often, but it closed down. I also visited TETSU Reppongi and Shinjuku, but they too shut their doors. However, I have now discovered the Main Branch of Tsukemen TETSU in Sendagi! Unfortunately, it seems that this location will also be closing for the weekend when I visited. It's such a shame because I really enjoy their delicious Tsukemen noodles.
I used to go to TETSU Shinagawa a lot, then it was closed… I’ve also been to TETSU Reppongi and Shinjuku, they were also closed… Now I’ve found this Main Branch! Guess what, with Google Translate and some awkward spoken Japanese of mine, it seems like this one is going to close its doors during the weekend I visited! How sad… I really love the Tsukemen of this store. They use quite a lot of 魚介, which is a kind of fish flavoring, so the soup has this unique taste of goodness. I tried to ask the staff member where this store is relocating to, but my listening comprehension sucks… So I guess I’ll have to check its official website later.
Michael C — Google review
Very tasty and huge portion it make me and my girl friend very full. You can smell fish soup very strong in soup. You can request hot rock to boil your soup for free. For me I recommend to eat especially when you hungry it's good for you.

One of my favorite ramen places. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but worth the trek. Top left button is for the dipping ramen, with egg and pork. They’ll ask you two questions. Hot/cold and the size of the noodles. Tastier when cold, but it gets the broth cold quick. Hot noodles will be kinda hot when eating it early on. If your broth gets cold, say ‘Yaki-niki’ to have a hot stone to put into your broth. It is super hot, so watch out. Your broth will be back at a boil.

(Translated by Google) <December 2022> [Tsukemen TESTU, a popular tsukemen restaurant with nearly 30 stores @Sendagi main store] ・Special Tsukemen (1,250 yen) I received spicy TP (150 yen)/flavored egg tsukemen (1,050 yen). ・The total cost for two people was 2,450 yen (approximately 1,200 yen per person). ・Tsukemen TETSU Sendagi Main Store is located along Route 437 (Akihabara Zoshigaya Line), about a 10-minute walk from Nishi-Nippori Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line. ・TESTU, which started in August 2005, has opened 27 stores as of 2018, and it seems to be a well-known tsukemen shop that you can easily find it if you search for ``tsukemen'' on Instagram. ・Is this the main store? I visited the Sendagi main store. ・The appearance of the store and the atmosphere inside the store are just like a long-established ramen shop, so expectations are high. ・I saw the queue photo on the official website, so I was prepared to wait in line! I visited there, and thankfully I was able to get in without lining up, probably because it was after 1:00pm on a weekday. ・Style where you buy what you want to eat from the food ticket machine in front of the store and enter the store. ・When you sit down and place your meal ticket on the counter bar, you will be asked for the style of noodles, ``hot or cold'' and the amount of noodles, ``average, large, or special (no matter which you choose, the price remains the same), so please choose according to your preference. I ordered it. I ordered the special tsukemen "hot" x "large" and the flavored egg tsukemen "hot" x "medium". ・You'll have to wait about 5-10 minutes for the bowl to arrive at your table. ・One thing that struck me for the first time was that in the case of ``Atsumori,'' the noodles are served dipped in hot soup. Since the soup came later, I was filled with anxiety as a beginner, thinking, "Huh? Did I order ramen by mistake?" But don't worry. They will serve you hot noodles and soup served with hot soup lol ・The collaboration between the thick and chewy noodles and the soup, which is a typical fishmeal soup but not too rich, was wonderful. ・The first bite felt like a typical tsukemen, but when it reached the last spurt, I felt the difference. With ``common tsukemen,'' the first bite is rich and satisfying, but the last bite tends to be grueling. This time, that wasn't the case at all, and it was a dish that had the same excitement from beginning to end. ・Perhaps the secret is the pork bone x seafood soup. What's more, it seemed like a rich cup of pork bone and chicken stock soup, dried sardines, bonito flakes, and fish stock, and I could definitely feel the hidden lightness that was different from just fishmeal or meaty taste. ・I think the difference between special tsukemen and ajitama tsukemen is probably the amount of chashu. ・Both of them come with flavored eggs, and these flavored eggs are sweet and delicious! It was a flavor that I really liked. ・In addition, the topping "spicy" (150 yen) is very useful as it changes the taste midway through! For those of us who like spicy food, this was a valuable topping that increased our level of satisfaction by an additional 1.5 times for just 150 yen. ・It's been a long time since I last tasted tsukemen, and I was able to enjoy a nice bowl of tsukemen that had a nice, consistent flavor and was a satisfying lunch. Shinjuku SUBNADE is a well-established underground mall that offers a wide range of retail shops, boutiques, eateries, coffee shops, and services. It is the largest underground shopping complex in Shinjuku with over 100 stores and restaurants, including popular options like Daiso (a 100-yen shop) and exclusive boutiques. The mall spans from 1-chrome to 4-chome and provides direct access from the station without the need to surface.
Shinjuku SUBNADE offers a convenient and diverse underground shopping and dining experience. Directly connected to Shinjuku Station, it's a great place to grab a quick bite, pick up souvenirs, or browse a variety of shops without having to navigate the bustling streets above. While not as high-end as some of Shinjuku's department stores, SUBNADE offers a good mix of affordable options and practical necessities. It's a particularly useful resource for travelers looking for a convenient place to find last-minute items or a quick and easy meal before catching a train. The variety of restaurants makes it a good spot to find something to suit most tastes.

Delivery Restaurant
Isomaru Suisan Kabukicho Central Road is a seafood restaurant with a fishing port ambiance, featuring water tanks and 'good catch' banners. It offers reasonably priced, fresh seafood caught in the morning and operates 24 hours with menus available in multiple languages. The restaurant provides a mini BBQ style for seafood options and serves Japanese cuisine in a bar-like atmosphere with drinks. While it allows smoking, the food is highly recommended, particularly the crab miso and grilled mackerel.
Love their fresh seafood that you grill to your liking. I take all my friends here to try their Kane miso and fresh seafood. Highly recommend. They open 24 hours. But they’ve also started implementing a late night fee a while back that comes with some snacks, and they’re actually pretty tasty so I don’t mind at all. Can get stuffy for non-smokers because people smoke indoors.

Special crab shell paste is so umame after grilling it yourself. I added the off menu clam soup but didn't read it was ramen which was also good and stuffed me up!

The food is good and fresh. The fried oysters are plump and sweet. The seafood rice bowl is also good. Overall it is good and worth a try.

Nice restaurant located near Toho cinema, godzilla hotel. Very delicious and fresh grilled seafood. Sashimi is ok but not that good. Recommend to try and visit on daytime because it's very crowdy during dinner and nighttime.
Gorawich K — Google review
Under the same branch, it’s similar restaurant experience. But it’s more busier as it’s in the center of Shinjuku, price and service could be bit difficult because of that.

English menu available. Order via app. Sashimi was fresh. King crab was good. Friendly quick service.

A standard must visit place every time I’m in Japan. The crab miso is just heavenly. Order the one with extra crab (699yen) or order the prawns and eat the miso with the prawns. Tried the clams (soup) with Ramen for the first time. It’s super delicious. Be prepared for clothes to be soaked in bbq smell after the meal :)

Nippori Station, also known as Nippori-eki in Japanese, is situated in Arakawa, a special ward of Tokyo. The area south of the station offers a glimpse into traditional Japan with its abundance and diversity of crafts such as textiles, ink prints, wood carvings, traditional cuisines, stationery, pottery, and jewelry.
This city feels heavily Asianized, almost as if we're not in Japan, which creates an interesting and unique sensation. The blend of various Asian influences gives the area a distinctive character, setting it apart from more traditional Japanese cities. This cultural mix adds to the city's charm, making it a fascinating place to explore and experience the diversity within Japan.

Took the Keisei Skyliner train to Narita airport. This is the stupidest train design I’ve ever seen. They announced to passengers to move to their assigned seats with their luggages. The seat is normal seat size, how can it accommodate a human size and one luggage ?! After I put my luggage at my seat, I couldn’t even sit down !! There are only two sides on the trains to place the luggages. This is an express train to airport, surely the management knows the passengers will have a lot of luggages and there are only these two small places to put one car full of passengers’ luggages??! How stupid is this design???!! While boarding the train, the announcement kept rushing the passengers to board the train quickly ! Quickly ! as the train was going to move off. How could the passengers at the back of the queue board when the passengers in front were still storing their luggages? The management should have planned ample time for passengers to board the train, knowing there will definitely be many luggages as this is an express train to Narita Airport Terminals 1, 2 and 3!! Plus there are selfish passengers who put cabin size luggage on the luggage rack when they could have placed it on the rack above the seats, so as to let those with real normal luggage size to put their luggage, but they couldn’t because of those selfish passengers. Though there are handles to hold the luggages, passengers put their luggages outside the handles as the number of luggages was more than the space provided, ended up those luggages were rolling everywhere while the train was moving at great speed, thus the luggages became obstacles to passengers. The train staff patrolling had to roll the luggages back into place every time they walked past. The Keisei management really needs to do some serious thinking and improve their train and passenger management system. This is really a disgrace to Japan.

apparently if u from Narita airport using skyliner,u need to put ticket n Then scan IC bcuz u gonna use JR line...if u dont scan IC card u cannot enter it..very confusing a lil.

service is poor, as visitors and foreigners here, staffs tend to care or guide information for us. instead, they would just say "i dont know, ask the information counter!" or "just pay for this and board this train." when no payment was needed to change lines. i feel like this should be improved and i am hoping to see more polite staffs who are willing to help us foreigners and visitors in the future.
Kawaii S — Google review
Worst experience in Japan so far in terms of transportation. I sent my parents to the gate of Skyliner and wanted to take Yamanote line afterwards. Somehow my IC card was not working when I tried to enter Yamanote line, so I went to both Keisei line and JR line’s offices to check what happened. Station staff is incredibly rude and deducted a total of 300 yen without any explanation, just kept repeating coldly and impatiently “You need to pay”. They could have briefly explained to me that it was because I got in the station without tapping my cards to purchase Skyliner tickets for my parents, therefore I need to pay the entry fee.

Gateway to old Tokyo lanes and airport runs. One way is Yanaka Ginza’s cats and croquettes; the other is Keisei Skyliner sprinting to Narita. The station buzzes with suitcases and camera straps. Tourist Tip: Use the Keisei side for Skyliner/Narita. For Yanaka, follow “South Exit” and signs to Yanaka Ginza shopping street.

Don't order e-ticket in advance. I take mine, i try the vending machine to exchange with my QR code, it did not work. People at the guichet was also not able to exchange my QR code and was not able to said to me where to exchange. I lost more than 5000yen in the process. Nice trap.

Takashimaya is a renowned department store located in various cities in Japan, such as Shinjuku and Yokohama. In Shinjuku, the Takashimaya Times Square houses a fantastic kids floor on the 9th level, offering amenities like a baby rest area, toy stores, a kids hair salon, and a mom-and-kids-friendly cafe. The store also features high-end brands alongside popular and affordable ones like Disney and Kinokuniya Books.
Strolling through the floor with the desserts and treats is like visiting a dessert museum. 🤤 Every item is a beautiful work of art that doesn’t seem like real food, but always end up tasting as good as it looks. There are so many shops. It’s hard to pick favorites. Each purchase is treated and packaged with care. Come here to buy gifts, treating yourself, or even just a feast your eyes. This is an awesome place.

No nonsense Yakitori restaurant. Order from the electronic touch screens and the food is systematically and promptly served. The various food were all marinated just nice. You can always put more pepper or salt to suit your taste. Fresh beer and drinks served quickly as well. Furniture is simple and spartan but brightly lit. Only complain is that this restaurant allow smokers !

We loved this department store. The staff was beyond polite, selection on each floor was incredible, it reminded us of the large multi-level stores in Paris. Cosmetics, shoes galore, museum quality jewelry (stunning) and the clothing!!! I could go on for days! We ended up in the downstairs floor, choosing gifts for friends in the food area. It was a dazzling display of teas, coffees, seasonal chestnut treats, granola (we purchased charcoal autumn), again, I could go on for days and days! Chocolate, baked goods (oh the baked goods)… did I say baked goods!!!!! Cookies, English muffins, croissants (at least 8 varieties), scones, rolls, baguettes…. As we were walking around we did walk by one area called Yogurt Four Seasons. It has the freshest, tangiest, creamiest assortments of yogurt I've had since my days in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont! The portions are small, just enough to sample a few flavors, but they also sell a six-pack that's perfect if you're staying nearby. The service is quick and polite--though the staff did not speak English, it's not a problem. Just point, the labels are descriptive and in English. We used our phone's translator once or twice with the other staff but honestly, you can order just fine without. Before purchasing gifts for family we used the translator because it will tell you when items will go bad, what is in them and sometimes where they are made. We could not believe we spent 4 hours there and went to pop in for :30. It was worth it if you have the time and money, you decide what to spend. Don’t forget some things were only $6. Some were $600. And there is a conversion function on your iPhone for Yen to US$. Oh, and we walked here from the hotel as it used to crazy to think to park near here.
Holly K — Google review
I went to Takashimaya to kill time with my toddler before meeting friends. The 9th floor is all kids stuff and has a small area of toys kids can fiddle with for 20-30 minutes. There is also a nice rest area by the changing tables, breastfeeding room. They had a plethora of types of high chairs you could use, microwaves, hot water, vending machines with kid options and garbage cans by the little feeding corner. There were also many strollers for mall use only. On the 12th floor is Moana cafe which has a kids pancake set and next door is Tsubaki-ya which has good cake sets for meeting mom friends. The B1 also has some bread and cake places and small seating areas. Besides their being 12 elevators in this mall, waiting is always a pain. The priority elevators are respected though, which is nice. The bathrooms are also all wonderful.
ADream J — Google review
It is one of the better colossal department store in Shinjuku. You could pretty much find anything you need at the store and they also have a supermarket downstairs in addition to all the food stations. I always come to their supermarket to get items that I need when I'm staying in the hotel. If you are in Shinjuku City or near the Shinjuku main train station. You can access the department store via the bus or Subway. If you're taking the bus, just hop on bus number 86. Make sure you're going the right direction, you need to get off at Sendagaya-Gochome. Takashimaya is right across from you. If you're taking the subway, you can access via F13 (Brown color), M09 (Red Color), or S02 (Green color). After you exit the subway car, you need to look for exit E8. Once you exit E8, you will see Takashimaya in front of you.

Edogawabashi Station is named after the Kanda River, previously known as Edogawa. It's not related to Edogawa Ward. The Jizo-dori shopping street in front of the station is one of Bunkyo Ward's busiest areas. The station has an interesting urban legend about its connection to the Yurakucho Line from Asaka to Ichigaya, supposedly serving as a passageway for troop movement during emergencies.

One of my favorite stores in Tokyo. Might not have the best prices in the world, but whatever electronic device you're looking for they have more selection than I've ever come across. Most recently I went in because my wireless earbuds died. I did some research online then went to Yodobashi. They had a bigger selection than I realized existed! They even let me pair samples to my phone so I could try them out, something I wasn't expecting. Very happy with my purchase.
ADAM L — Google review
Pricing for tourists is common in every country, but if possible, you want to eat something that the locals in that city think is delicious. Many people who come to shop at Yodobashi Camera do their research beforehand, but you can enjoy the restaurants in this building at local prices. Even if you get tired of Japanese food in Tokyo, there are plenty of options, and the staff will guide you carefully, so you will rarely be charged a higher price than in the local area. If you're nearby and don't have any plans, I think it's a place worth stopping by.

Very comprehensive store full of gadgets and electronics. Japan prices about 10% cheaper - could spend hours there with 7 floors of browsing.
Chak H — Google review
The birthplace of Japan's largest consumer electronics store. There are more than 10 chain stores in the vicinity. It is a district of Yodobashi Camera. What you should pay attention to here is the “Outlet Hall”. Originally a camera store, it began selling almost all household appliances, starting with the opening of a large store in Sendai Station. In particular, the lineup of camera products covers almost all products on the market and is almost perfect. The price is slightly higher than the cheapest store, but it is popular because of its convenience. The online shop offers free delivery even for 100 yen products. All chain stores in this town are old buildings and narrow, so the Akihabara large store is more popular. #letsguide #origin

An absolute gem of a store with 7 floors catering to a huge range of customers and an ultimate one stop shop for souvenirs at great bargains and had good service where foreigners were not frowned upon. They also had signs clearly posted to ensure that we knew when the tax refund counter was closing and everything was very smooth. Definitely visiting again.

If you are a tourist, I would heavily recommend checking out the store! One of the craziest most practical stores I’ve ever been in. Everything from Godzilla toys to the most practical backpack, to the greatest pencils and pens.
Eddy J — Google review
They sold me a defective luggage scale but I have no time to return so they can correct their mistake. It’s so useless that it says a nearly empty backpack is 27 kg. A small camera is 12 kg. The lack of quality control is wild - I actually think someone returned this and they resold it. Their staff is also a mixed bag. My cashier was great and tried to manage the other employees but it took them about 30 minutes to retrieve the luggage I bought. I watched as people who purchased their luggage after me got it immediately while I waited. The only reason this isn’t one star is because the cashier was doing his best to help me while also checking people out. Overall, though, the poor service and poor products are what stood out.

I visited this store last week and approached the tax free refund counter when the lady staff shouted “STOP!” rudely to me with no explanation. I figured out that I had to pay for my things first at the cashier nearby. While waiting, I checked that the only notice for that information was in small print highlighted in yellow. It would be better to have it on bigger signboards and placed at the start line of the queue to the refund counter so tourists would be well informed and to prevent staff fatigue.

Another one of those great “free things to do in Tokyo”. Navigating to it is relatively easy, after Maps gets you there, you just follow the signs to get to the blue elevators that go up to the 25th floor. Crowds can be hit or miss, when we visited there wasn’t anybody at the Sky Tree side (east), but there were a bunch on the Shinjuku side (west). And by the time we were going down, they all were leaving as well. The views are pretty good and if you’re collecting stamps, they do have a stamp area too.

I can't say anything about the service of this I situation, sorry. As a tourist I've very much enjoyed a free to visit observation deck and the stamp :) I thank the administration for such an ability and hope it will stay available for others too. Very clean, very comfortable and convenient - no waiting. Great night views. It's also quite funny to see local clerks buzzing I the offices while going up on the elevator :)

GO HERE. Amazing views for free. Try not to get your hopes up about seeing Fuji though.
Jayvin — Google review
Great free observation deck at 25th floor (take the blue elevators). You can see mount Fuji on a clear day. You can see Tokyo Skytree on the other side. There are uncrowded toilets, also. And don't forget to get your stamp.
Martin C — Google review
It’s free, people rarely go and it is quiet and perfectly kept. Too bad you cannot see half of the city, but at least Shinjuku with Mt. Fuji in the background and Skytree to the east do their part. Strongly competes with Tocho’s observation deck.
Juan R — Google review
Great FREE observation deck with few visitors. Nice place to be quiet and enjoy the view. Will like to come back and try the restaurant next time.
Alex S — Google review
I checked out the view of the place and ate at the restaurant just next to the viewing place. If you visit the place, make sure to confirm the opening and closing time. I want to take some pictures of the view opposite to the Tokyo Dome and was surprised by a closed dock at 9p.m.

Located on the top four floors of a mall in Ikebukuro, the Ikebukuro Loft is a variety store that offers a wide range of items. From basic papers to adorable souvenirs and stationary, this store has it all. The 12th floor is especially recommended for artists looking for unique souvenirs. The store is well-organized, making it easy to find what you need without wasting time.
Great place for souvenir shopping and gifts. We came in here with no expectations and ended up with bags of purchases. This loft is much tidier than another one that we’ve been to at Shibuya - the tax refund station is also more convenient (don’t have to line up twice). We found everything that we wanted here…and more!
Lydia M — Google review
The access to this store can be quite confusing if you're coming from the direction of Ikebukuro station. The store itself spreads along several floors and has a great variety of merchandise compared to other Loft stores. It's heaven for you who're looking for Japanese stationery and other related stuff. The price is reasonable, but I find that stationary items tend to have slightly more expensive price tags than their competitors, but Loft has a better variety. There's a tax free service for temporary visitors available.
Bayu U — Google review
Expensive, but high quality store. Has everything from stationery to makeup to house goods. Tax free section closes early. I tried to buy fountain pens and the staff cannot speak English fluently. Takes credit card. Has free wifi.
HJ — Google review
Great store. Perfect for buying luggage. They have tax free, but the problem is that they charge you the whole price and then return you the taxes. The problem is that I think they taxed the tax devolution because it was less.

Loft is a very good place to find gift and souvenir. Items are very diverse from stationary, to cloth or kitchen utensils.

Top 4 floor of the north end of the mall. Floors 9 through 12. The 12th floor is purely stationary things and is wonderfully organized recommend for buying souvenirs for artist. Great place for finding everything you want in a timely manner because everything is organized. Though if you have no self control you will buy more things then you need.

The b suidobashi is a relaxed accommodation with modest rooms and a serene gender-segregated bathhouse. Guests can expect spacious rooms with large beds, well-equipped bathrooms, and amenities like tea kettles and a selection of teas. Conveniently located near Suidobashi Subway Station, the hotel offers free internet access, an on-site public bath, laundry facilities, and a buffet-style breakfast.
Rooms were clean and a decent size. We booked a twin room which appears to be bigger than the doubles. Bathroom was very small but the shower was good! I found the beds extremely comfortable although my husband felt they were too hard for his liking. Free coffee all day, free ice cream in the evening. I loved the area with plenty of places to eat and the rest of Tokyo was easily accessible by train/metro. Very close to the Tokyo dome. A quieter part of Tokyo that I would truly recommend and would chose again if I was visiting Rooms cleaned regularly, 24 hour reception with friendly helpful staff. Great value for money. Only downside is Windows don't open and we're frosted. Air conditioning in room.
Tracy J — Google review
Staff was courteous and always available, they offered to hold our suitcases before check in time and offered two hour early check in for 2,000 yen. Accommodations were very basic (definitely not a luxury stay) but we felt safe and the location wasn't bad. The public bath was clean and very soothing, it was probably the biggest perk of this hotel. In the evenings they offered free soft serve ice cream (Keurig style) and a coffee maker was always available downstairs but not in our room. If you're looking for convenience it isn't a bad stay but this wouldn't be a good choice for a romantic getaway.
Verrinia K — Google review
The room served it's purpose it was a comfy bed and a great place to sleep. The bathroom was a little different as you stepped up into it and it had a fiberglass type floor. You could not leave the door open when showering as it would trip the fire alarm. The shower head did not angle down only straight ahead. Also the bathroom always had a smell but was clean so that was peculiar. Housekeeping was on it. They collected trash daily and gave new towels. They chose two days during our week stay for vacuuming, bed change and to provide new robes. Overall I loved the room, I was in the middle about the bathroom and not a big fan of the breakfast but I tend to be a picky eater.
Emily R — Google review
Rooms were old and not very well maintained. It was small. Staff was accommodating and location was good though. Accessible, quiet, but not too quiet. There is a donki near the Tokyo dome, walking back at night feels safe.
WZ — Google review
All is great. There are moldy spots in the toilet. But the rest are good, comfortable enough for business stay. It is in walkable distance to various train stations. Free ice cream every night as well.
A J — Google review
The hotel itself is great, however, if you are going to have windows that do not open, do not turn off the air conditioning, especially in those rooms where the sun bets into the room all day. The room temperature was at least 80 degrees Fahrenheit, we had to leave our door open to have some cool flow into the room from the hallway.
Britt P — Google review
We loved staying in this hotel. This was the only hotel of our trip that we didn't choose because it came with our flights, so we took a bit of a gamble, but it was wonderful. The staff were kind and patient as we tried to speak to them in Japanese and settle in. The amenities were wonderful and we used the laundry room quite a lot because we got soaked by the rain on the second day! It was a wonderful first impression of Japan and a great start to our trip. どうもありがとうございます!

Average Muji location on the 6th floor or Lumine 2. The drinks are located in vending machines, but it seems they don’t get restocked frequently since most of the drinks were sold out.

i found that the female staff around the store were kind and helpful. male staff at the cash register could be friendlier. as i paid i decided to use my ¥5000 note even though my total came up to ¥940. the male cashier then looked into my wallet and pointed at my ¥1000 note. i spoke in english to try and explain i wanted to break down the note. then i found his expression was cold, scary and judgmental. perhaps its because im a foreigner, i understand the bad stigma around tourists but the customer service could be better.

Firstly we are tourist we do not know what's ur procedure, instead the staff should have been polite and try to be helpful. Japanese people are known to be kind, helpful and polite BUT this shop staff are not helpful at all, rude and no respect to your customers.. This is NOT A TOURIST friendly shop. This place used to be great. The salads, the coffee and the great apple pie. The pie is still decent but what used to be a great salad in a ceramic bowl is now a few pieces of lettuce in a cardboard box. It used to be that you could get a free refill on the coffee which made ¥600+ price worth it but from 2024, you can no longer get a refill. I saw the manager call the waitress over to charge us for the refill then run away. Perhaps he knew the staff didn’t mention the policy change and that we’d complain after the fact. Seems kinda cowardly. This was once a great place with style, attention to detail and great food and service. But now I think I’d get better service at McDonald’s
Mulele R — Google review
Had take-away coffees only. Strong latte and a cappuccino. Creama was good and milk frothing and ratios were spot on. It's not a quick coffee, it did take a little longer than usual, but that's because there's so much focus on presentation and writing the order on the takeaway cup

Visitors can marvel at the astounding displays of origami creations showcased in the gallery, while also having the opportunity to purchase a small selection of papers and books. Small space but jammed packed with one of the best collections of origami works of art from some of the most famous origami artists. Also a small selection of books and papers to buy. A must for all true origami devotees

This is a fascinating place that is a kind of home base for a champion origami artist. Samples or examples shown in display cases are astounding. Whatever small supplies are necessary for origami are available here, and the place has classes and workshops for children. Many books on advanced origami techniques both in English and in Japanese can be bought.

Great Work! The best i ve been following since i was at high school, BUT.. They are the worst treat ive ever had from a store in japan, or from a person, worst people, satoshi kamiya its a pedant and ugly person , ive bought his book and he didnt wanted to sign , he screamed " No" what a stupid guy, you come from to far away and want to show the amaze things of origami masters in your country and have this:( i was like 1:30 hour and nobody come , so i think they are not busy for a sign or a picture but Ok Satoshi , Makoto , you sucks :( you broke my dreams on origami. If you dont want to attend people go to a cave! If you dream with satoshi figures all your life on know him DONT GO!.

(Translated by Google) I went to see the exhibition with my son, a young elementary school boy who loves origami and has many of Yamaguchi's books. I was quite nervous because I had read reviews, but I told him not to make any noise and we looked around quietly. The works on display were so incredible that they were truly impressive. If I had gone in without knowing anything, I would have definitely shouted out loud, "Wow!" but I held back and shouted in my heart. Once inside, I realized that everyone was working behind the curtains, and I realized that if they were creating such masterpieces, I shouldn't have disturbed them. I'm grateful that I was able to see the exhibition for just 300 yen.

I came to the store late as it was closing. I bought the wrong model thinkpad because I was in a rush. The model I needed was for a specific linux distro. There was a mistake with the communication of my needs. The salesman thought I needed the 7th generation processor, but I needed the 7th generation of the thinkpad x1 carbon. Upon returning the next day, the tall gentleman offered me a full refund. Come to the store with plenty of time to research your needs. I am very grateful for their understanding.

In the end, it was the Hi!EVERYVALLEY store that was selling it, but there, too, there was a woman who seemed like a part-time worker who was dealing with high-pressure and troublesome customer service. The crepe I made while chatting playfully with another guy who looked like a part-time worker was completely different from the photo, and when I said, ``It doesn't have lettuce in it,'' he looked disgusted and said, ``It does have lettuce in it.'' That's all I was told. Indeed, there was only a small lettuce core inside. Obvious harassment. Our stay at your hotel was unfortunately overshadowed by significant service challenges, despite the many positive aspects of your property. While we appreciated the well-maintained facilities, excellent location, and overall cleanliness, we encountered a critical issue that severely impacted our experience. Prior to check-in, we repeatedly reached out via email to request the access code for the room. Regrettably, we received no response. Upon arrival, we discovered there was no front desk or staff available to assist. Stranded outside the building in cold, rainy weather, we attempted to contact your team for hours through every available channel—calls, emails, online inquiries—but to no avail. With no resolution in sight, we were forced to book alternative accommodations that evening. The access code was finally provided the following afternoon (a full day after our intended check-in), long after we had settled elsewhere. We requested a refund for the first night, as we were unable to access the room due to the lack of communication, but this was declined.

If you don’t have large luggage or need to move your luggage after putting it away, "Exit 5" is the closest, about a 2-minute walk. Before, during and after check-in, emails will be sent out continuously, all in English. Basically, you can use translation software to understand the process of entering the room. Since there is no personnel to assist, you must enter the password yourself and use the password to enter and exit. The entire white building is easy to identify by searching "Dash Living Ueno Park" on the map. Go to the door, enter the password, and press the "Call out" button to unlock the door. The letter will also provide the "room number" and "room access code", which is not difficult to understand normally. It looks good at first glance, but the remote control and the mirror are covered with dust. It can be seen from the details that many places have not been specially cleaned. But generally it is very novel and fashionable. When you enter the room, you will feel like you are at home. The room has kitchen utensils, refrigerator, microwave oven, washing machine, bathroom equipment, table, TV, etc. Basically everything you should have, including laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent, kitchen utensils, and even cotton swabs and OK bandages. What's more considerate is that there is a large bottle of water in the refrigerator, which is indeed relatively rare. However, it is a pity that although many things for daily life functions are thoughtfully prepared, slippers are not provided. Although it’s okay to wear no shoes on the indoor floor, if you don’t like to walk on the floor with bare feet or socks, it’s better to bring slippers. I don’t know if the people who run it speak English, because most of the instructions and the QR code conversation in the room are all in English. In Japan, I think it is better to have Japanese, at least there are some Chinese characters to read. For those who are struggling with English, they can only use a translator. The cleaning of the bathroom did not feel very accurate. There were many marks left in the bathroom, especially the mirror. It was blurry than at home. I think the biggest problem when staying here is that when there is a situation, I can only scan the QR code to use instant messaging, but I can only leave a message. In fact, the problem cannot be solved immediately. When staying here, if you feel that you can handle everything by yourself and won't rely on others, you can book a stay. If you are really worried, choose another place, because from check-in to check-out, you have never come into contact with anyone... It just feels like being self-reliant. It's all self-service. Personally, it's good or bad, it just depends on your own feelings. However, I think it is more troublesome that you have to check in at 4 o'clock. Secondly, you can't store your luggage in advance, check out on time, and you can't store your luggage after check out, because there are no administrators or staff at all, and the unit price is not cheap, so there are still many inconveniences in a seemingly comfortable accommodation space. In terms of functionality, the neighborhood is a residential area with not many restaurants. There is a supermarket in 5 minutes' walk, and a drug store in 5 or 6 minutes. The rest is that if you go outside, there will be some stores or supermarkets, etc., which is actually OK. But the overall accommodation experience, based on the price, I originally wanted to give it four or five stars, but the cleaning and contact were not prompt enough to solve the problem immediately. In the middle, I encountered an issue where I couldn't watch Netflix, but I scanned the QR code to contact and left a message without any reply. Strictly speaking, if I really have a problem, no one can solve it, so I think I can only give it three stars. The above information is provided for reference by those who want to stay. Those who are interested or in need can check in and experience it. Great Stay at Dash Living! The location is super convenient, close to the train station, shops, and restaurants. The room was clean, modern, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, including good Wi-Fi and a functional kitchenette. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in smooth. (Translated by Google) After getting off at JR Nippori Station and going up Gotenzaka and passing Yanaka Ginza, which is famous for its sunsets, you will come across a street with an unusual name, ``Yomise Dori''. Yomise Dori shopping street is located just off the street of Yanaka Ginza. (Computer drawing) The reason why this shopping street is divided into Bunkyo Ward and Taito Ward across the road is when this road used to be the Aizen River, and this river was used as the border to determine the boundaries of the wards. This street used to be where the Aizen River flowed, but after it was turned into a culvert, a shopping street was formed, and after the shops closed for the night, stalls opened at night, so it came to be called ``Yomise Street.'' Aizen River is a branch of Shakujii River near Oji, and it is said that it was called Aizen River because there were many indigo dye shops in this area. It is also close to the University of Tokyo, and is featured in Natsume Soseki's masterpiece ``Sanshiro.'' Yomise Dori Shopping Street is a very unusual shopping street as it is divided into Taito Ward and Bunkyo Ward across the street because the Aizen River at the ward border was turned into a culvert. When I visited, a festival float was being pulled over the boundary of the ward (computer drawing). Children's mikoshi I thought they would be carrying the mikoshi, but these children weren't carrying it, and there was no shouting, and they didn't seem to have any enthusiasm. Apparently, due to the large height difference between the children, it was not possible for all of them to carry it, so they carried it like this and walked quietly. Customers have used their services for Japanese wedding attire and pre-wedding photoshoots. The shop offers various types of kimonos for brides and grooms, allowing them to try on multiple options before making a selection. Clients have praised the attentive staff and the overall experience at Ponia-Pon, recommending it for those seeking a unique style from head to toe.
(Translated by Google) I used it for my Japanese wedding costume and pre-wedding photo shoot. As for the bridal costume, they suggested various types of kimonos, and I was able to try them on many times and make a decision from among the many options. Although the main focus was on women's kimono, they also arranged for the groom's costume to match the atmosphere of the bride's costume. He was in charge of the direction for the pre-shoot, and was very attentive to everything from scouting locations to arranging the filming crew. We were able to have a high quality Japanese wedding ceremony. I am also very satisfied with the results of the pre-photo shoot.

(Translated by Google) There are good ones, but the prices are high. It seems that some items have been remade. Even if you like antiques, From ``People who like to come up with their own ideas to wear clothes, no matter how old or old they are.'' Those who have a good sense of ``things that have been taken care of from the beginning'' This is for people who value the peace of mind of being selected. At first glance at the store, it seems a little cold. It may still be easier to purchase at Isetan events that are held regularly.

(Translated by Google) I previously purchased the summer belt (day/night belt) because I liked the pattern. After I got home, I noticed a very musty smell. I was surprised because this hasn't happened at other antique shops. That price is too high in that condition. When I untied the obi at home and washed it, the musty smell was gone. Also, the attitude of the elderly store owner was scary. Anyway, I wanted to leave the store as soon as possible. I can't put it into words. I won't go there again.

(Translated by Google) I'm always asking questions about unrelated things. It's very unpleasant. They keep asking questions even if you express that you don't want to answer. If you don't answer, he becomes grumpy and suddenly becomes curt. I then continued to talk to an old lady who seemed to be a regular who came in later about people's privacy, and in the end she just said she was interested. I felt like I was being bullied and felt very sad. I think it's a good thing as a businessman and as a person. Is it because the customer base is mostly older people, or do younger people think they can do whatever they want? I looked at the kimono website and was hoping for a Taisho retro feel, but there weren't many. A kimono for a coming-of-age ceremony might be a good idea. It seems to be a form of searching from albums for coming-of-age ceremonies. If you have already reserved it, they will look for something similar on the market. I also came here because I wanted to decide on a kimono for my coming-of-age ceremony, and because I like Japanese clothes, I wanted to see them, but I didn't want to have any bad experiences, so I found a better kimono for my coming-of-age ceremony elsewhere and decided on that. I did. I was sad on the way home even though I had spent so much time and money on transportation. I won't go again. The internet is enough. I don't see any point in going out of my way.
