National reserve
Waco Mammoth National Monument is a significant paleontological site that showcases the in-situ fossils of a herd of Ice Age mammoths and other animals. This national monument, established in 2009 and covering 100 acres, offers guided tours through wooded parkland along the Brazos River to the dig shelter. Visitors can experience the terrain and life during the Ice Age while learning about the discovery of these fossils.
My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way down to Galveston and had a really great time. It only cost a few dollars to get in and we got to take the guided tour and learn all about how these mammoths and other fossils were discovered in this area. We headed to the gift shop and purchased the usual souvenirs (shot glass, magnet) as well as some matching T-shirts and some super cool minerals! Then after that, we hiked on one of the trails and the Rangers weren’t even mad when we came back late because we got lost. 😆 it was a great time, we would recommend for both kids and adult adults alike!
Gina M — Google review
Waco Mammoth National Monument was a really cool and unexpected find. It’s not every day you get to see actual mammoth fossils still in the ground where they were discovered! The covered dig site is the highlight—climate-controlled and well laid out, with elevated walkways so you get a great view of the fossils without disturbing anything. We took the guided tour, which I highly recommend. Our guide was knowledgeable and made the history feel very alive, explaining how the mammoths likely ended up there and what makes the site so special. There's also a short nature trail and a small visitor center with some interesting displays and a gift shop. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the price. For a National Park Service site, it felt a little pricey, especially since the visit is on the shorter side—maybe an hour to 90 minutes total unless you linger. Still, it's a unique and educational stop that’s well worth it if you're in the Waco area. Great for families, history buffs, or anyone who just thinks mammoths are awesome (because they are!).
Jeffery R — Google review
We stopped in with only 45 minutes of time available and managed to get in the full tour. The tour guide (John Proctor) did an outstanding job- much better than I was expecting. He was informative while also being entertaining. I appreciated his passion. The walk to the dig site is paved and smooth, mildly hilly. The dig site itself is inside an air conditioned building and is comfortable. There are no restrooms except at the welcome center. They do have a national park passport stamp station and a reasonably priced gift shop. Parking is free and the tour is only $6 for adults. Absolutely worth the stop! No need to buy tickets in advance.
Belynda W — Google review
This was such a neat experience. Until I visited, I never knew some of the animals I discovered lived in Texas. Staff were extremely knowledgeable. The tour, itself, took about 30 minutes. There are other small trails in the area but we didn't get to experience them because it had just rained, so in total, we spent about an hour there. Tours run about every 30 minutes to this active (covered and with ac) dig and preservation site. The best part is that because it's an active site, when you go, it might look a little different than when I went. You learn a little bit about what paleontologists believe happened to the creatures buried for thousands of years and how those thoughts have changed over the years. Places like this are why having national parks and monuments are so important and should be supported, not dismantled.
Tammy M — Google review
Super cool spot in Waco! The mammoth fossils are still in the ground, which makes it way more interesting than just looking at bones in a museum. The place isn’t huge, but the tour guides keep it fun and you actually learn a lot. Trails are easy, kid-friendly, and the whole site feels peaceful. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Waco.
Jenny N — Google review
This place is very cool and one of a kind experience. You don't ever get to see an active dig site, so this was a very unique experience. The walk down is pleasent, the tour guides are very engaging, and the cost is very low to get in.
Shannon W — Google review
$6 for the tour. Really nice park. The female park ranger who gave the tour was amazing and I loved her little jokes. I'd love to come back in a couple years and see what more they have discovered. I loved that this was an active dig site and they have a full-time paleontologist.
Ruby — Google review
It was a neat place to go. They have a guide talk to you about what they have found and they let you ask questions through out it. I just wait it was a little bit bigger. My kids loved it.

Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Cameron Park Zoo is a sprawling 52-acre zoo located within Cameron Park along the Brazos River. It is home to over 1,700 animals from 300 different species. The zoo offers various attractions for visitors, including a clear slide through the river otter habitat and a 50,000-gallon aquarium. Children can enjoy activities at Grammy Nells playground area and witness live animal presentations.
Visited this zoo on a spontaneous Friday afternoon trip from Austin and it was very quiet (only saw a few other visitors) which made for a more enjoyable experience! Arrived at 3:30 and the park closes at 5 but still had enough time to see everything! Although some exhibits are under construction like the gibbon lake right when you walk in. Clean, walkable, lots of shade and places to sit, if neeeded. It’s a well-designed zoo with a wide arrange of animals. I especially liked the indoor exhibit with all the snakes, as well as the giraffes and penguins.
Sarah E — Google review
My husband and I have went to Austin Zoo and San Antonio Zoo, and although those 2 are good, the Waco zoo is BEST. The staff is nice, the atmosphere is great, clean and family friendly especially for kids. We saw animals we have never seen, and the bathrooms were clean and smelled great. We will definitely come back!
Paola S — Google review
Not sure if it’s because it’s the dead of summer or if it’s because places like this aren’t frequented like they used to be but I was a little sad seeing all the animals hiding from the heat with little fresh water to be seen. Some of the enclosures were cleaner and well kept than others. With that being said the grounds are clean and the facilities are well kept. Staff seemed friendly but didn’t see many people working and staff was very minimal. The zoo is a decent size and is under renovation in many areas. Maybe when these are all done and things reopen it will be a better experience.
Wil T — Google review
Éxcellent zoo experience! The zoo is a great size, we strolled the exhibits for about 3 hours with plenty of time to stop and look. Not too busy either on a Friday afternoon. The animals looked well kept and moderately active, the staff was kind and not invasive at all, and the layout has plenty of restrooms and indoor stops to take a break from the heat if the day. You can pay at the gate ($18/person) and bring your own food and drinks. I really don't have anything bad to say at all. Will be back again!
Nicholas I — Google review
My primary reason for going to the Cameron Park Zoo was for the Penguin Encounter. It was super cute and our guide, Candice, was awesome. The zoo had some wonderful animals on display 😍 including a 49-year-old elephant in addition to a 31-year-old penguin. Plenty of places to sit & a small hiking trail. You could easily spend a couple hours at this gem.
Angela E — Google review
Cameron Park Zoo is such a great place to visit! Super easy to walk through with tons of amazing animals and a wide variety of exhibits. It’s really toddler-friendly — smooth paths, shaded areas, and plenty to keep little ones entertained. We spent about 2–3 hours walking at a faster pace, and it was the perfect size — not huge, but big enough to wear out my 1.5-year-old! Easily one of my favorite zoos we’ve visited across the country.
Caitlin M — Google review
The workers were super nice and very helpful! The only animals that weren’t there were the otters, or atleast they weren’t out at that time. All the animals look taken care of and healthy! The gift shop was kinda expensive considering the tickets were only $18. A magnet was $15..
Kaylie J — Google review
With so many free options available in the area I didn't consider going to the zoo. But we went, and I loved it. I had never seen bald eagles or owls up close. There was a building for nocturnal animals local to Texas, a large enclosure for South American animals with scarlet ibises in the trees, a large herpetarium with so many different reptiles including big, venemous ones, and much more. There was zoo staff around to answer questions, and we got to see the elephant's snack time. Overall, the animals throughout the zoo were highly visible. We spent about 3 hours and saw everything. It was shady and also a nice way to enjoy Cameron Park.

Science Museums
The Mayborn Museum Complex offers a fascinating exploration of science, natural history, and communications. Visitors can marvel at the 28-foot Pliosaur replica and explore an 1890s village with nine wooden buildings. The museum features themed Discovery Rooms for interactive learning experiences and a Backyard Ecology exhibit with a water table and climbable honeycomb structure. Additionally, there are hands-on activities for children under five in the soft-play area.
This Museum was very fun and fascinating the kids had a blast even us adults had a blast their were so many things to do and learn the exhibits were by far very interesting the kids play areas were so cute and my daughter really enjoyed them my girls baby sister enjoys the crafts area and I personally enjoyed their new Cats and Dogs exhibit I highly recommend visiting this Museum with the family or by yourself.
Miah D — Google review
They have a pretty cool exhibit on Etruscan stuff right now, so there's something here for every age range. There are play areas upstairs for younger children, as well as exhibits downstairs for more advanced kids; younger kids should still be able to enjoy the exhibits downstairs, they just might not get as much out of it as older kids do. The gift shop is alright; they have lots of the Audubon plush birds! Plus a little area to grab some packaged snacks if you get hungry.
Catsur N — Google review
The Mayborn Museum Complex was a nice stop in Waco, though it wasn’t quite as big as I expected. It’s definitely geared more toward kids, with lots of hands-on activities and discovery rooms that younger visitors will love. As an adult, I found some of the exhibits a bit underwhelming, but the mammoth display was by far the highlight—really well done and worth the visit just for that section. The staff was friendly, the museum was clean, and everything was easy to navigate. If you’re visiting with children, you’ll get a lot out of it. For adults traveling without kids, it’s still worth a stop, but you might not spend as much time there as you’d think.
Tim P — Google review
The museum has a lot of activities that children will enjoy. It’s possible to spend more than 3 hours here, plenty of interactive exhibits too.
Jesse H — Google review
Awesome place for kids and toddlers. Many hands on for them to touch and be creative. 2nd floor is the must go! We found out too late and only got a little time to go through the exhibitions. Will go again for sure!!

We love this place! Get the membership because it can be used at museums all over the U.S. Including NASA in Houston!! We always visit the new exhibits and we're loving the new art/ craft room upstairs!! Don't miss the outside village! Really fun to bring a pinch and let the kids run out there in the Fall!

Absolutely loved this experience. Will 100% come back on our next Waco visit. It had something for all ages, even my 1 year old was having the time of their life.

The Dr Pepper Museum, located in a 1906 bottling plant, is a nonprofit gallery dedicated to exploring the history and memorabilia of soft drinks. It showcases the legacy of Dr. Pepper, one of the oldest and most iconic soft drinks globally, created before Coca-Cola. The museum offers visitors an opportunity to delve into the brand's history through various activities such as making soda, tasting different flavors, and exploring paranormal encounters.
This place was so fun! It was also much larger than I expected it to be. There were three floors in the main building make sure to take your time and check out all the funky things from past decades like marketing materials, memorabilia and just pure nostalgia around every corner. After your done there make your way to the second building where you guessed it more stuff to check out and the soda bar! I got a Strawberries and Cream Dr P with cherry vanilla ice cream! So good!!
Wil T — Google review
A fun, nostalgic stop that brings the history of Dr Pepper to life. The vintage ads, old bottling gear, and quirky memorabilia are charming, and the soda fountain serving classic Dr Pepper floats is a must-try. Friendly staff and just the right size for a quick 1–2 hour visit. Perfect little detour for soda lovers! 🥤
Jenny N — Google review
I had an amazing experience at the Dr Pepper Museum, thank y’all so much for making this Birthday another amazing, very special day. To me that means a lot, y’all had an awesome, friendly staff, great flavor selection for the Soda Laboratory/Make-A-Soda. The Staff Gave Me A Birthday Pin To Go and I absolutely love it! I’m all here for it! Thank y’all again! Oh! And if y’all need an extra face or spokes person for Dr Pepper, well I’m the man!

We visited as part of a conference held at the Waco Convention Center so we were not charged admission. But if we were charged admission, I would say that it is worth it. The museum tells the history of Dr. Pepper, including the original artesian well that provided the water for a time. Be sure to check out the gift shop for some really clever souvenirs. The soda shop has Dr. Pepper drinks for sale as well as U.S. history. Specifically, the shop has exhibits on the civil rights movement and sit-ins at lunch counters, as well as the history of women in the workplace. Both museums are really well done.
Christine K — Google review
We had a great time visiting the Dr Pepper Museum! It was both fun and educational with lots of interesting history about one of America’s most iconic sodas. The exhibits were well put together and easy to follow with a nice mix of artifacts, photos, and interactive features. One of the best parts? We got a free soda at the end and it was delicious, ice cold, and made the experience even sweeter. If you’re a fan of soda history or just looking for a unique activity, this museum is definitely worth the visit.

It was fascinating to learn interesting facts about Dr Pepper. The experience was enjoyable for all ages, evoking nostalgia and featuring captivating vintage ads and bottles. As Dr Pepper enthusiasts, we found this experience to be highly engaging and culminating in an amazing Dr Pepper float.

Enjoyed every moment at the Extreme Dr Pepper Museum. Kevin, our Dr Pepper guide, was full of knowledge and a blast. Being from Hawaii, my wife is the most Pepper of us both. It was worth it all the way! 10/10 Kevin FTW! #BeAPepper

I love Dr.Pepper! Absolutely! This museum is dedicated to Waco, the history of Soda, and all things Dr.Pepper and related brands. It's a fun self guided tour through all the history, and important events to this brand. Here is where I become hesitant. It's $12 per person (5 and up) to enter the museum (as of Oct 15th 2025.) That includes a free drink at their soda fountain... however they do not tell you which drinks that entails. It is a free drink only from their classic flavors menu, anything else and it's a dollar off. Again I love Dr.Pepper, and learned a lot about the history, soda, water, and Waco through the museum.

The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum in Waco, Texas, is a tribute to the legendary lawmen who have served and protected the region since 1823. The museum, established in 1968, showcases over 20,000 artifacts including firearms, badges, saddles and uniforms used by the rangers throughout history. It also features an extensive collection of fine art depicting early Western life.
The Texas Ranger Museum in Waco offers a fascinating dive into the rich history of the Rangers, tracing their roots from the early days of cowboys and Native American encounters and the evolution of the revolver to modern crime scene investigation methods. This is the perfect spot to explore their storied past, with well-curated exhibits that bring their legacy to life. A must-visit for every cowboy at heart!
Madelyn S — Google review
I’ve been wanting to come here for many years to check it out, and never had been able to until today! The many exhibits of firearms from past and present Rangers are a big part of the Rangers history. They also had several items from the old Lone Ranger TV show , and even a few from Walker, Texas Ranger on display. If you are a fan of history, it’s a great place to come visit!
Michael S — Google review
I loved it. I haven't visited in 20 years and was excited to take my grandchildren this time. It has expanded so much and the exhibits were really nice. The scavenger hunt was fun and kept the kids engaged.
Joe E — Google review
We visited the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame as part of a homeschool outing and were truly impressed! The museum is much larger than it looks from the outside, with so much to see and learn. The exhibits are fascinating, and the introductory video was excellent—very informative and engaging. While we were part of a larger group (mostly from Fort Worth), we want to sincerely apologize for the rowdy and disrespectful behavior from many in that group. They were not part of our personal homeschool circle, and we were honestly embarrassed by the noise and lack of manners. Despite the challenges, our tour guide was incredibly patient and kind the entire time. She handled the situation with grace and continued the tour with professionalism and warmth. We really appreciated her and the whole experience. We also enjoyed browsing the gift shop and picked up some great items. We’re already planning to come back again next year on our own. Highly recommend for anyone interested in Texas history!

Great visit, takes an hour and a half easy. Could take 2 hours of you like to read everything. Very cool displays and lots of old guns, knives and swords

Great place to experience and learn about the Texas Rangers history. A real surprise was the film shown. Catching what it was like to be a Ranger. We traveled on to Fredericksburg after visiting Waco. It's a tragedy what Fredericksburg's City Councial voted. They are canceling the 99 year lease on the Ranger Center there for being late on a payment. It is now closed.

The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum in Waco is a must-visit! The video presentation was outstanding—it didn’t shy away from sharing the good, bad, and ugly of Texas Ranger history, which made for an informative and engaging experience. The entire museum is exceptionally clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. The exhibits are well done and packed with fascinating artifacts that bring history to life. It’s a fun and educational experience for the whole family. Whether you’re a history buff or just looking for something unique to do in Waco, I highly recommend stopping by!

Silos at Magnolia in downtown Waco is a popular destination for fans of Chip & Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper. The market features various attractions like Magnolia Table, Magnolia Press, Silos Baking Co., and more. Visitors can enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere with friendly staff, photo opportunities, beautiful grounds with seating and activities like corn hole and wiffleball.
Lovely, just lovely. I've been wanting to go for quite some time and finally got the chance. It's like a little town with everything from a bakery, to stores, to boutiques, coffee shop, open game area, a garden, a mini baseball field, food trucks, a chapel, tours, and who knows what else I missed. I loved just walking around. If you get lucky, you might find parking on the street but otherwise there's parking areas within a block or two from the entrances. Yes, there are multiple entrances to start your walk through.
Jan M — Google review
🌻 Magnolia at the Silos is a delightful gem that blends good taste with great vibes. From the moment you arrive, the air is buzzing with warmth and charm. 🥗 The food and drinks are a standout—delicious coffee with rich, comforting notes, refreshing lemonade that’s just the right mix of tart and sweet, and treats that hit every craving from sweet to savory. Everything feels thoughtfully crafted like the strawberry cupcake! 🛍️ The shopping experience is equally satisfying: stylish home goods, unique finds, and gifts at prices that won’t make your wallet sweat. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 And the atmosphere? Perfectly family-friendly. Whether you’re chasing little ones on the lawn, grabbing a bite at the food trucks, or lounging under string lights, it’s a relaxing and welcoming place to linger. Definitely worth the trip from Dallas. Most of the shopping is outside - so be prepared for hot weather in the summer!

The silos in Waco with the restaurants the coffee shops the stores the church you name it. Everything is curated to perfection. I'm not a big fan of the industrial farmhouse look which is all magnolia is but it's still a gorgeous place. I can't imagine coming on the weekends with the crowds. If you come I would come during the week either a Tuesday or Wednesday. I can only imagine how horrendous the crowds are on the weekend.
Greg A — Google review
Visiting the Magnolia Silos in Waco, Texas was a fantastic experience! The space is beautifully designed and offers a wide variety of things to see and do. From unique boutique-style shops to charming outdoor spaces, there's truly something for everyone. One of the highlights was the family-friendly atmosphere — there's even a basketball court that adds a fun, active touch for kids and adults alike. The grounds are clean, inviting, and perfect for spending a few leisurely hours. The coffee from Magnolia Press was excellent — rich, smooth, and worth the short walk to the separate building where it’s served. I also tried the lemon lavender cupcake, and it was absolutely delicious — perfectly balanced with just the right amount of floral flavor. Overall, this is a must-visit destination if you're in the Waco area. Whether you're a fan of the Gaines' style or just looking for a great place to relax with family, the Silos won’t disappoint!
Danielle L — Google review
The Silos were cool and being able to walk around in a beautiful area, play soccer, corn hole, baseball and other activities were fun. Seeing the church that Chip and Joanna Gaines remodeled was really neat. I could do without all the shops though. Not really anything to see or anything I would want to buy in them. That part was boring.

Came out here for a car issue and looked up things to do. I am a fan of the atmosphere during the day. Being that it is Wednesday and early afternoon it was not very busy. The weekend vibe maybe totally different. Loads of quaint shops to visit and purchase.

I absolutely had the best time! The staff applauded my husband and I when we walked into the Market. The bakery is adorable and the goodies are delicious ♥️ I am going to best honest I teared up. A aging woman from Ohio got to see in real life what I have watched on TV for years. Oh, I bought some items too!

Bridge
Sights & Landmarks
The Waco Suspension Bridge, a historic landmark in Texas, was built in 1870 and was the longest of its kind west of the Mississippi at that time. It spans the Brazos River and consists of over 3 million bricks. The bridge offers picturesque views during both day and night, with the river reflecting moonlight after dark. Originally constructed for cattle, travelers, soldiers, and settlers, it now only allows pedestrian traffic.
We really enjoyed spending time at the suspension bridge. It's handicap accessible. The bronze statues were so real looking. They almost take you back in time. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting this place.
William J — Google review
Great bridge to visit when in Waco. So much history in one single place. One can only imagine how it was crossing the river before the bridge was build. Today the bridge is well maintained and easy to walk. There are great views to the west and east, and you can walk the nearby parks along both sides of the river. We walked it a Saturday near lunch. Not to many people. And when you walk it from south to north you end up at a farmer’s market.

A great place to go at night and enjoy some history of the bridge and the beautiful view night time view is way better than daytime
Kenneth B — Google review
The Waco Suspension Bridge, completed 155 years ago in 1870 using cables from the builders of the Brooklyn Bridge, was the first major suspension bridge in Texas. Spanning 475 feet across the Brazos River, it served the public for over 100 years—carrying cattle, wagons, and pedestrians—until it closed to vehicles in 1971 and now stands as a scenic pedestrian landmark.

I loved this experience so much. I just got into sports about a year ago, so it was a great experience. I learned a few things and enjoyed my time with my son. I loved their interactive section, and so did my son. We will return at some point.

If you like sports then you will enjoy this museum. There is parking on site and it has a lot of exhibits from all different sports; individual and team, old and new. There are also interactive exhibits for kids and adults. You can spend at least a couple hours enjoying what it has to offer.

We went to the Texas Sports Hall of Fame during the week and there were very few people there. It’s informative and I was suprised at the sheer amount of famous athletes that hail from Texas. There is a lot of memorabilia and it was fun to look at.

If you like sports you should definitely visit this place. A must for sports fans! The museum is huge and has a lot of information. I didn’t know Texas had this many variety of sports. They even had a couple movies about how tennis balls were made that I loved and one featuring the 6th Super Bowl. That was really awesome. My husband is a big football, baseball and basket ball fan and he loved it. Lots of exhibits. Would take a true sports fan about 3 to 4 hours to fully see the museum. Glad we visited. There were not many people and it was so peaceful and we could take our time in every exhibit.

Water & Amusement Parks
Hawaiian Falls Waco is a popular seasonal water park that offers a wide range of activities for visitors. Spanning 10 acres, it features pools, a lazy river, and a splash pad zone for toddlers. The park boasts thrilling water attractions such as slides and a massive wave pool, making it an ideal destination to beat the Texas heat. Families can take advantage of various options including the Waco Summer Splash Pass, offering great value for multiple visits.
Bought season passes for the grandkids. They were here in Waco with me for a week. I knew this would keep them busy and satisfied for most of the day. We went on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. They had a great time! On Friday, I used 6 of the 10 free buddy passes. Two came with each bought. I also paid for cooler pass and saved money by taking in drinks. Love you can take your own food in as well. Be sure to watch online for specials. I also received emails on specials going on. It was a great vacation for the kids and stay- cation for me! 😃
Michelle T — Google review
The kids loved it!! Did have an issue with 1 of the guys at the water slide telling kids to take off their life jackets. That's a good way to drown a kid. No. Just no. Also, only 1 of the showers worked in the women's restroom. The whole place kinda looked ran down. Big chunks of concrete/plaster (?) missing on the pools/lazy river.
Jennifer A — Google review
I took my son to celebrate his 19th birthday since we missed Champions Day this year. He absolutely loves it here! We always have a wonderful time and it's usually never too crowded.. My only issue was that the waves in the wave pool were never turned on while we were there this time.. Not sure why.. But we still had a great time! I absolutely love that they have events for special needs individuals of all ages and abilities, and plenty of activities and areas of the park that are accessible to all! I really appreciate that! 🤩 I called ahead one year when Champions Day fell on my son's birthday, and we arrived to see that they had made him a beautiful birthday sign with his name on it! 🤩 🥰 That brought me to tears, it was the sweetest thing!! For this visit, I inquired about any discounts they might offer for Waco Transit employees, and while I was told that they do not, they let me know that I could use my Groupon (for 4 tickets) for a 2nd visit, since it was just the two of us.. We love Hawaiian Falls! 🤩 🥰 🤗
Lydia P — Google review
My family and I went to Hawiian Falls for the first time recently. We had three adults and a two year old with us. There are many places for the two year old to play. There is a wading pool that we started out in so he could get used to the water. The next pool to the left gets a little deeper and has a small slide. He went on that a few times and was ready to try the bigger slide. By the end of the day he had no fear! We all had a lot of fun. We went on the lazy river when we needed to rest. There is a place to buy food, but you can bring food in. We rented a locker. It was big enough for three people to put their belongings in. We paid to rent a tube, but I don't think we needed to. There are plenty of free tubes. The crowd size was not bad. We are looking forward to going back!
Kisha H — Google review
It was a lot of fun and the price was great My kids had a blast I suggest this for a close getaway it wasn't too crowded either.
Kheara R — Google review
I had such a great experience at Hawaiian Falls in Waco! The park was very clean, and I was impressed with how attentive the staff was—especially when it came to safety and making sure kids followed the rules. I went with my sister and her three kids (ages 8–13), and they all had an absolute blast. The whirlpool was so fun—we’ve never seen anything like that at a water park before! In my opinion, it’s much nicer than Splash Kingdom. If I lived closer, I’d be a frequent flyer for sure. The only thing I’d change is having more double tubes available for the slides—but that’s a small thing compared to how great everything else was. Highly recommend!
Marina W — Google review
We have The most expensive season pass for Hawaiian fall and we get this one each and every year. We have noticed the study decline of the quality of service and product compared to the prices. There are several restrooms that are constantly out of order. The showers are nonfunctional. There are only two showers actually work that have shower curtains. If you are wanting to shower after enjoying a day at the waterpark, you are only able to use two of the 4 showers. The restrooms are not clean. We frequent the other water parks, and they constantly have a staff member attending to the restrooms, ensuring that they are clean and sanitize at all times for the pain customers. We have come daily over the past week and a half, and every time we attend the large pool is closed because they say you were unable to see then you have lifeguard just sitting on their bottoms, not working limiting the access to the amenities that we pay for with these passes.. The problem before was that the way Poole was never working and currently the lifeguards will not stand up so that we can enjoy the waves. They rather sit, then stand up and allow us to enjoy the waves for the amount of money that we spend at this part and considering how hard it is to earn money these days and the cost of living steady rising that we choose to spend our money so that we can enjoy fun quality time with our families and then we encounter such poor quality of service. I hope that y’all will correct and rectify this problem.
Mackenzie L — Google review
This water park offers a variety of attractions! Very family friendly atmosphere! The attentive lifeguards is top notch! I do feel they should have something in place as many times as they have had the pool and lazy river closed down because they are short staffed! Especially if that’s what patrons are going there for!

The football stadium of Baylor University is a great place to watch a game, especially if there isn't one playing. The grounds offer public tours that are very informative and allow you to get up close and personal with the locker rooms, press room, and other related areas.
Incredible atmosphere and stadium. The whole experience was amazing. I had a bit of an obstructed view as my seat was the first row of the upper bowl and the aisles had a higher railing that blocked part of the field. The seats were also benches so they did not have a back but none of this robbed from the experience of the game. Great stadium, team, and evening!
Daunavan B — Google review
Visited for the Auburn vs Baylor game. First visit. Seats and views were good. Concession lines weren't bad when we visited. Easy to walk to from around the stadium. Had great burgers before the game at Billy Bob Burgers. War Eagle.
Eric W — Google review
Great stadium with wonderful acoustics. Clear bag policy and no stadium cushions/seats. They didn't have that many concessions open because this was a high school football game, and they were really crowded. Good-sized drinks, at least. The bathrooms were reasonably clean.
Jeff W — Google review
Well its nice stadium, but the drawback is most of the seating is in the texas heat and sun, so before half-time eveyone is clearing out. It would be a better experience if it were night games or fall. You get what you get. Ill go back when its not in the 93+ lol
Alexander D — Google review
The stadium is nice and well laid out. There were plenty of affordable parking options North of the stadium. It was very hot and humid. Given the stadium's location, a domed stadium may have been a better decision. The best part was ASU defeated Baylor.

Homestead Craft Village, located 16 miles from Waco, Texas, is a historic village where visitors can spend hours exploring and interacting with friendly artisans. The village offers a glimpse into traditional craftsmanship with over 20 craftsmen working in traditional ways. Visitors can watch artisans create wood furniture and stoneware, observe a functioning waterwheel-powered gristmill, and learn about weaving and crocheting methods.
An exceptional gathering of skilled craftsmen and women, each with their own dedicated workshop. I was especially impressed by the handmade iron frying pans, rocking chairs, shear-lined winter hats, shear-lined slippers, and exquisitely loomed scarves. While some may find the prices high, the quality is truly unmatched. Even the coffee was fantastic!

Waco Downtown Farmers Market is a vibrant open-air market located at 500 Washington Ave. It was established in 2011 and has since become a bustling hub of local activity. Every Saturday, visitors can explore the market's array of offerings, including fresh farm produce, artisanal products, and handmade crafts. The market also features live music and seasonal Handmade Markets. Visitors are welcome to bring their leashed pets while they browse the diverse selection of goods from local vendors.
It was nice. Fresh food vendors, food trucks, live music. Parking was a little challenging. Lots space for kids, dogs. I feel like they have a lot of room for more vendors. Would have loved to have seen leather goods, cowboy hats, local souvenirs like Texas t-shirts, etc. We are from NC.

I stopped by over the weekend and really liked it. There are lots of food trucks and cute little stands. I was hoping to find more veggies, so that part was a bit disappointing. It’s a fun spot though, with a nice setup and very friendly vendors. The wildflowers were my favorite. If we had more time in town, I would’ve grabbed so much more. The coffee was amazing too. It gets busy, and there’s not much parking, so wear comfy shoes and maybe bring some shade. Great spot to check out for families, kids, and even dogs. Worth going to if you’re nearby!

Lake Waco, an artificial reservoir managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, serves as a vital resource for flood control and water conservation in the Waco area. The lake offers various recreational activities such as boating, fishing, hiking, and hunting. Its scenic parks along the shoreline provide opportunities for sunbathing, picnicking, and paddling.
I have to say this is our family go to place on this Texas heat! We did not mind the drive. We love the feeling of the sand but it does get hot 🥵 beside that my fur babies and kids love this lake! It was a really cool place with a lot of stores to choose from. Magnolia Market is an experience, not just a store. From the moment you walk in, you can tell how much thought and heart went into every detail — from the curated home decor to the layout of the entire space. It’s beautifully designed, clean, and full of inspiration for every kind of home style. The grounds are just as impressive as the market itself. There’s plenty of open space to relax, sit with a drink from Magnolia Press, or enjoy something tasty from the food trucks. It’s super family-friendly, with lawn games and places for kids to run around while adults shop or unwind. Yes, it can get a little crowded, especially on weekends, but the staff keeps things running smoothly and the vibe stays warm and welcoming. If you're a fan of Fixer Upper or just love great design, it’s definitely worth the trip. Magnolia Market lives up to the hype.

Great place to explore and have some food. Classy and diverse range of goods for sale and it didn't have a 'tourist trap' vibe which was nice. We stopped in for a browse and some lunch on our way from Austin to Dallas. We're from Australia and we were on a vacation in TX. Some people in Austin suggested Waco was 'boring' and 'only a college town'. They were wrong. (They were also probably from Southern CA.) Waco was great and next time we're going to stay there for a few days for sure. Everybody was so nice - and it's beautiful!

Upon stepping in, the market was very well decorated and lively. However the prices are genuinely insane. A copper scooper the size of your hand will cost 50$, a single icecream scooper costs 18$, and its basically the same for every other item in the store. The bathrooms are pretty nice though, there’s an air freshener, two trashcans, and a diaper changing bed.

Nestled within the picturesque Baylor University campus, the Armstrong Browning Library stands as a tribute to the illustrious Victorian poets Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning. This stunning three-story structure is not only a library but also a museum and research center that boasts the largest collection of materials related to these literary figures. As you step inside, you'll be captivated by 62 magnificent stained-glass windows that adorn its walls, each telling a story of artistry and history.
My son and I went with no expectations and were extremely pleased with the visit. A beautiful building with spectacular stained glass windows, paintings from as far back as the 12th century, meticulously engraved furniture, along with magnificent architecture and interior design. I was very much overwhelmed!!! (Should not bring young children. Not a place they should be.) Visit and be amazed! Definitely one I'll never forget. And no entry fee! Wow!

Just saw a Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison tribute and really enjoyed it. Parking was easy, just a half a block away. Comfortable seating, we were on the 6th row, so great seats. Tickets purchased online several weeks ago. The entertainment and sound were great! Would definitely go back again. Venue was very nice, and just the right size to be easy-in and easy-out. We had dinner at the 1928 after and it was great! Terry Black's BBQ is new and right down the block as well, as is Pivovar is you want German style food. Many choices, ample parking on a Sunday evening.

I want to give a special shoutout to Sunshine, part of the amazing cleaning staff at the Waco Hippodrome. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and had such a positive energy. Every time I saw him, he was working hard — never standing still — always making sure everything was clean and running smoothly. His dedication and kindness truly stood out and made our visit even better. Thank you, Sunshine, for everything you do!

Love the Waco Hippodrome – A True Cultural Treasure! I absolutely love the Waco Hippodrome! This historic venue is such a vibrant part of the community and consistently delivers excellent shows that appeal to all kinds of audiences. From live music and theater to film screenings and special events, the programming is always thoughtfully curated and top-notch. The quality of the performances is outstanding, featuring incredibly talented artists who pour their hearts into every show. Whether you’re watching a local production or a visiting act, the experience is always engaging and memorable. The intimate setting of the Hippodrome creates a special connection between the audience and performers, making each event feel personal and unique. The staff and volunteers are friendly, helpful, and passionate about the arts, which adds to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s clear that a lot of love and care goes into maintaining the venue and supporting the arts community here in Waco. If you haven’t been to the Waco Hippodrome yet, you’re truly missing out on one of the city’s best cultural gems. It’s a perfect place for a night out, whether you’re with friends, family, or on a date. I can’t recommend it enough and always look forward to my next visit!

This is an historic building that, like the Tardis, seems bigger on the inside. When I say historic, I mean it, they have photos lining the hallway outside the theater with several famous vintage acts. Once you get used to the seating arrangements, everything makes sense (seat 1 to 4 on each row are on the far right with an aisle separating it from seat 5 and up until another aisle and 4 more seats on the left.) We saw several people sit in the wrong spots and adjust when someone came for the seat. It is a smaller more intimate venue which I think is perfect for some shows. Parking can be confusing so get there early and drive around a little. The sound is good and I expect to see several shows here.

Love the Hippodrome go ever chance we can when we are in town visiting our children. Seen " Johnny Cash" and just recently "Elvis". Enjoyed them both, but the youngman that did Elvis was wonderful. He made all the ladies young and old feel special and his interaction with the audiance was great. We could have stayed all night and listen to him..May come back in May.

Lake Waco Wetlands is a 180-acre wildlife refuge that was established in 2001 to provide a habitat for various plants, insects, and animal species following the rise in Lake Waco's water level. The wetlands feature an education center, research facility, plant nursery, raised walkways/hiking trails, and opportunities for bird watching. It aims to preserve native ecosystems and offer shelter to wildlife such as bird species, amphibians, and reptiles.
This is a wonderful place in the nature to view the total solar eclipse. We were able to feel different bugs and birds chirping transitions during the solar eclipse phases!

We love this place! There is plenty to explore and it isn't too far outside of town... about 15 minutes. Someone mentioned that a fire had damaged the wetlands. To clarify, it was a prescribed burn, which are used to manage overgrowth and improve the habitat. We visited recently and everything has grown back nicely. My oldest kid enjoyed taking photos of everything!

Fabulous place to learn about nature’s “kidneys”. They have a beautiful educational room with floor maps and interesting facts on the wall. The wetlands are always well maintained with regular mowing and it’s great fun to explore the boardwalks and observe the natural world. They also offer small guided tours. Many dog walkers come to enjoy the space with their leashed companions .

Extremely nice people at the campus welcome center! They really made me feel good about being on campus and were very friendly. Very nice folks in the Spirit shop too. We purchased tons of Baylor gear for our nephew and also for us.
Cornell A — Google review
Baylor University is an impressive institution with a rich history and strong academic reputation, and overall I’d give it four stars. The campus itself is beautiful—well-maintained grounds, stunning architecture, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it a great place to study and live. The facilities are top-notch, with modern classrooms, well-equipped labs, and an impressive library that provides plenty of resources for students. Academically, Baylor offers a wide range of programs and is particularly well-known for its business, pre-med, and law tracks. Professors are knowledgeable and generally invested in their students’ success, and the smaller class sizes in many programs help foster a more personal learning environment. The university also places a strong emphasis on leadership, service, and faith, which sets it apart from many other schools. Student life is vibrant, with plenty of organizations, events, and traditions that create a strong sense of community. The athletics program is another highlight, with Baylor’s teams bringing a lot of energy and school pride. The reason I’m giving four stars instead of five comes down to cost—tuition and fees are on the higher side, and financial aid doesn’t always cover enough to make it affordable for everyone. Overall, Baylor University is an excellent choice that balances academics, community, and tradition.

I have visited Baylor several times. It is a beautiful campus. I love walking around looking at the trees, buildings and sculptures. I have an aunt who worked here and cousins who attended here. They all have wonderful stories and are truly dedicated to and love this school. Makes me wish I could have attended college here. I was sad it was too hot for the bears to be out and about today. #sicembears

They are slightly enjoyable people. I like visiting, spending time with their bear, and appreciate receiving a fun tour. I wish for the bear to receive plenty of attention, for an inviting environment educated in diversity, limited sorority exposure, slight stadium experience, they would follow up well with all contacts, and provide more field of study guidance. 🐻 🏟️ 📚

Had an admission call.with Rocky Desai. It was the most unprofessional and unwelcoming call I ever had. He was very confrontational and unwilling to answer basic common questions. Definitely will not attend for the BSN degree nor will I recommend anyone ever to this university.

Spice Village is a renowned shopping destination located in a historic 30,000-square-foot downtown building. It houses over 60 independently owned boutiques offering a diverse range of products, from custom pillowcases and garment bags to olive oil and salvaged barnwood decor. The charming rustic atmosphere adds to the appeal of this long-running shopping option. Visitors can explore an array of shops, such as Congress Clothing for trendy apparel and Flip Flop Junkie for summer footwear.
Spice Village is a Waco gem that offers a unique and delightful shopping experience. Unlike your typical mall or shopping center, Spice Village is a sprawling indoor marketplace housing a diverse collection of small businesses and vendors. This creates a vibrant and bustling atmosphere, making it a fun destination to explore for a few hours. What truly sets Spice Village apart is the sheer variety of goods available. You can find everything from handcrafted jewelry and locally made art to trendy clothing boutiques, home décor items, gourmet food products, and unique gifts you won't find anywhere else. I was particularly impressed by the number of vendors showcasing their own creations, adding a personal touch to the shopping experience. Whether you're searching for a special gift, looking to redecorate your home, or simply want to treat yourself, Spice Village has something for everyone. Beyond the shopping itself, the atmosphere is lively and engaging. The layout encourages browsing and discovery, and the vendors are generally friendly and approachable. It's easy to lose track of time as you wander through the different booths, discovering hidden treasures at every turn. I also appreciated that there were some food vendors offering snacks and drinks, which is a nice touch for those who want to make a day of it. Spice Village is more than just a shopping destination; it's an experience. It's a place to support local businesses, find unique items, and enjoy a fun and vibrant atmosphere. If you're visiting Waco, I highly recommend adding Spice Village to your itinerary. You won't be disappointed!

This place was so cute, well-decorated and organized. It was clean and a cool reprieve from the hot temps outside. My number one reason for visiting was because they are pet friendly which is what I seek out when we are traveling with our fur babies. Thank you so much for creating a dog friendly environment. They received a warm welcome from the staff. Beautiful place with so many cute things to buy. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again when we’re in the area! ♥️

I love going here every time. I’m in town because it’s always something different inside. It’s a huge collection of small little shops. A lot of really interesting and unique things to buy. I definitely recommend going here.

I came a few years ago and enjoyed it. I decided to stop by again with my daughter. The shops are now rife with profanity and vulgarity. The first thing we looked at was a rack of socks only to see male genitalia and boobs on a pair. Then we saw f bombs and all kinds of crass signs and cards for sale. Naked men toys with penises as long as their legs. Seriously. This is not labeled as an adult store. It has no class anymore. Anything with profanity or genitalia should be covered with a sign saying 18+. I saw a small sign next to the restroom that basically said sorry not sorry for the profanity. I was so excited to bring my daughter for a shopping spree only to have to tell her over and over don’t look at that. Shame on you all for allowing those vendors. You choose money over morals.

I would put a negative if it was available. So yesterday 6/30/25 myself, husband and our 6 year old went into Spice Village. I shop here all the time and my husband recommends this place to go at this work but no more! So I had just shopped in here and wanted to see more so we went in while my husband watched our son. We were in there not even 5 minutes when my son came up to me crying saying the manager got onto daddy. So my 6 year old asked some people if they would vote for him to become a Jr. Ranger. Something he has been working on for months. Apparently my son was talking to someone when the manager came up to him and my husband stating they needed to leave because they were SOLICITING! Are you serious! You should be ashamed of yourselves because I was shopping in there and I am pretty sure the people that have booths in there didn't mind!!! Especially since my son is apart of this community and this could be great for him to win and for our community! So you had to come up to a 6 year old and his daddy and be rude?!? I will never be back and people should know that there is a time and a place for everything! That was the time!!!! Rude!!! And as for your information no your wrong owner of Spice Village! And say you were you couldn't have heard any of the conversation because you were not near. It is for a local boy asking for a free vote trying to help the environment and animals! He is 6 years old! So please just stop! You and your great manager are so wrong.

Cameron Park in Waco, TX is a sprawling 400-acre park that offers a variety of outdoor activities for visitors. The park features two rivers, cliffs, playgrounds, and festival areas. It boasts over 20 miles of lush trails that cater to both avid hikers and casual strollers. The trails wind through dense native vegetation and forests, offering scenic beauty at every turn.
Vast trail network with biking trails ranging from green to double-diamond, plenty of great views along the Brazos. I would recommend parking near the playground/bridge or baseball area since usually other spots down the river are full. Be sure to checkout the inner areas, such as the hidden bamboo forest, and beware that even the diamond trails can be challenging for some mountain bikers.

It was very pretty, but I am training for a marathon so I was hoping what I was told were running trails would have been smoother and had better signs for people like me who are direction challenged. Great for mountain biking or hiking! When I finally made it to the lake , I was much more comfortable, but most of that trail was concrete which is hard on the body. A huge shout out to Adam who ran some with me!

Fabled Bookshop & Cafe is a charming establishment that seamlessly combines the allure of a bookshop with the comfort of a cafe. A unique feature is the secret wardrobe entrance leading to the children's section, adding an element of whimsy. Guests can also enjoy literary-inspired beverages such as the Honey Pot Latte and Muggle Mocha from their coffee menu.
Wonderful little bookstore, we didn’t realize it was as large as it was. It’s so warm and welcoming, it smells good. The furniture is worn and comfy. The books are curated so great. We found so man books. You can get a nice drink and snack, find a cute spot to read or work. There is a cute little spot for kiddos and lovely gifts all through out. We are always planning our next trip.

Awesome place to meet up, have coffee and get cool books. They have great gifts too! My sister lives in Dallas and I live in Austin. We meet up in Waco and this is an awesome place to meet. They have a kid friendly children’s book area. Ella made us all our coffee and she was quick and friendly. My nephew loved Melinda the Dragon and apparently she guards the bookstore at night. We agreed I would buy him a book here every time we come to Waco.

This is one of the best little bookstore I've visited. Quint and charming come mind when thinking about this place. Amazing variety of books for a small bookstore when compared to BN size. A charming feature is a lot of handwritten notes on the books throughout the entire bookstore. A lot unique gifts. A strong college vibe here. The staff is friendly and cheerful. There is a wonderful coffee/tea shop inside wirh great seating, if a college student with their laptop ever leaves. However there is seating throughout the store. Leather chairs, leather couch, living room style chairs and in back a wonderful children areas. I really like their decorations with popular books theme decorations. There is street parking and downtown.

Fabled Bookshop & Café is straight up awesome. I found this spot today and I’m so glad I did. Everyone working there was super friendly, the vibe was dope, and the coffee was on point. I got a 16oz Iced Brontë’s Brew and it was delicious — smooth, flavorful, and exactly what I needed. My 15-month-old daughter had a blast in the kids’ section. The wardrobe door to Narnia is such a cool touch — she couldn’t get enough of it, and honestly, I thought it was awesome too. You can tell they really put thought into making it a fun space for kids and adults alike. They’ve got a great selection of books, including some beautiful classics that caught my eye. The whole atmosphere just feels chill — the kind of place you could hang out with a book for hours or get some work done on your laptop while sipping coffee. Overall, this place is a gem. Great people, great coffee, and a super cool environment. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

Brian M — Google review
Milk Bottle Cookies – Waco, TX Rating: ★★★½ (3.5 stars) The business card says “Fresh Cookies. Espresso Bar. Free Wi-Fi. Friendly Service.” That’s the promise. So here’s the reality. Walked in around 9:30 AM—place was empty. Just me and the person behind the counter. I asked for her name, but honestly, it slipped my mind because the interaction was… functional. She wasn’t rude. Just there. Doing her job. Not hostile, not warm. The kind of service that checks the box but doesn’t fill the soul. No name exchange. No welcome. No spark. Now, let’s talk cookie. I got the peanut butter. And I’m going to be direct: it was not good. You ever bite into a cookie so thick it looks like it’s trying to be a biscuit, a muffin, and a doorstop all at once? There’s a science to baking, and thickness without balance is a gamble. When your main product—literally your namesake—is cookies, you’d better know your chemistry. The inside was dense and cakey, not chewy. Sugar-heavy in a way that just sits in the middle of your mouth. Not enough moisture to hold the bite. It didn’t have that crisp edge or that soft melt in the middle. Instead, it was doughy, like it wanted to be undercooked but missed the mark both ways. Just thick for the sake of being thick. And here’s the thing: this was my second visit. I gave it another chance because maybe the first time was a fluke. But nope. Same issue. This cookie looked good in theory but ate like a brick. Ordered a pour-over with it. For ten bucks total, I expected at least a ceramic mug if I’m sitting down, maybe even one branded with the logo. Instead, I got a standard to-go cup. The coffee itself? It was fine. Hard to mess up a pour-over. But that’s not the star of the show. The cookie is supposed to be the main event. What I don’t understand is this recent obsession with “more is better.” Bigger, thicker, taller—at the cost of taste and texture. If you’re going to claim “fresh daily,” then I want it to taste like it came out of the oven that day, not like it sat overnight under a heat lamp of hope. Atmosphere? Clean, minimal, but quiet to the point of sterile. Background music. A little hum. And the sound of your own chewing. Again, not unpleasant—but where’s the warmth? Where’s the welcome? That feeling that you’re glad I showed up today? The cookie case looked impressive. Stacked high with variety. But if tried twice and they didn’t deliver, I’m not in a rush to sample the rest. And that loyalty card? Two punches down, three to go—but I can already tell you it’s not getting filled. There are other spots in Waco with more soul, more flavor, more “something.” This isn’t a hit piece. It’s just what happened. If I had to sum it up: pretty concept, underwhelming execution. Three and a half stars. And that’s me being generous.
Rick B — Google review
I got the PB&J cookie and it was enormous. I would have liked it to be smaller lol. It came with frosting, which was cute but not needed. The side of homemade raspberry jam was delicious and tart and much needed to temper the sweetness of the cookie. For $6 it felt like a decent value, you could have shared with 2-3 people. The cookies are gorgeous, as tall as a scoop of ice cream. They are cooked all the way through, chewy on the outside and cakey on the inside. Fun place to visit as a tourist or pick up a special treat, but I won't become a repeat customer.
Ayla J — Google review
From the moment we walked into Milk Bottle Cookies, we were greeted with a warm smile and a friendly “May I guide you through our current menu options?” They offer a mix of their staple cookies and a rotating seasonal selection, making each visit a little different. My absolute favorites are the classic chocolate chip and the cookie with raspberry cheesecake with chocolate cookie base—it’s the perfect balance of sweet and chocolate and tartness. Whether you take your cookies to go or enjoy them in their bright, airy space with plenty of seating, you’re in for a treat. It’s a must-visit for any cookie lover in Waco!

I’m not from Waco, just visiting from Arizona. Everyone told me about this place and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I’m over the national franchise cookie places that their cookies just feel like too much and over hyped. This place definitely is beating them by a MILE! The “Local” presence felt so strong and the service was 10/10. I’m leaving town soon but i”” be making another stop before I leave! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'll be honest! As coffee shops go, the place is nice. That being said $6 for a cookie that isn't even baked all the way through? I get these are supposed to be cake like cookies, my GF and I bought 3, and all three were dough on the middle, not soft cookie, actual dough. Sorry, but these cookies are not it.
Hapa F — Google review
The atmosphere is adorable, and the service was really good. But we went a few hours before close, and the cookies had probably been sitting out for a while. They were fine, just not fresh. Maybe if you go early, you'll have a better experience.

The best cookies EVER!! The cookie has a hard soft crunch, it’s so very delicious. Thick cookie, with a lot of flavor! Cookies where freshly made by the day!, they also have specialty cookies made by the day ! So crazy good to enjoy for a quick snack! All ages recommend.

Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park is a large indoor trampoline center in Waco, Texas that offers open jump sessions, fitness classes, dodgeball games, and party hosting. The park provides a safe environment for kids of all ages to engage in various activities such as jumping, climbing, racing, and playing. It's a popular destination for families seeking an exciting indoor adventure experience.
I can’t say enough good things about our experience at Urban Air! From the moment we walked in, the staff made my children feel welcomed, safe, and excited to play. Neal, Reagan, Jade, Jayden, and Ayden went above and beyond — they were patient, kind, and truly engaged with the kids. They made sure everyone was having fun while keeping things organized and safe. It’s not easy to find a team that genuinely enjoys what they do, but you can tell this crew really cares about creating a great experience for families. The facility was clean, the energy was great, and my kids left with huge smiles on their faces. Urban Air has definitely earned our loyalty — we’ll absolutely be coming back again soon! Highly recommend this location for families who want a fun, positive, and well-run place for kids to play.

First time here for my daughters birthday it was a cool environment. Although staff should be in the zipline & rope course and not avoiding people. Another gentleman had to do both activities by myself holding up the line. This guy on the picture could be a little more friendly towards people he’s energy was not it today. Especially for no kids activities.

We had a wonderful time at the Waco Urban Air over the weekend! Micah H was amazing with my son on the ropes course (his first time). He was very sweet & attentive. The check in process though was lengthy with two people using iPads to check everyone in. It was a long line that took quite some time to get through. The baby changing table in the women’s restroom was out of order as well as one sink and the bathroom is dirty and in need of cleaning/restocking on a regular basis. There were many positives though! All employees this visit were helpful & very engaging. The last time we visited there were very few employees watching areas that I felt were high volume & at capacity but our visit today was much more enjoyable because of the staff this time around.

I had such a great experience at Urban Air thanks to Jordan Martinez! He went out of his way to help me when I needed it. He was super friendly, patient, and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. It’s not easy to find staff who genuinely care, but Jordan definitely does. He made my visit a lot more enjoyable, and I really appreciate his kindness and professionalism.

Aiden in the Waco was so wonderful! My boy's grandfather died the day before our visit and it was very difficult for them. It was especially difficult because they're only 8 and 9.5 and had to keep going back and forth to the nursing home, just to see him die. They needed to get some energy out so we went to this urban air.. we live in Pennsylvania. Aiden was so attentive and even worked it out for them to each get a free slushy that he got approved by his manager. Not many young people have his work ethic today and he should be commended! Thank you to Aiden and the Waco Texas urban air!

This location is great. We’ve had multiple birthday parties here and the staff is accommodating and helpful! Friendly staff, Jordan was nice and attentiveMy girlfriend told me this evening when she took our family to the location in Waco tx, they stopped honoring the free snack with the ultimate and deluxe package. Why have me pay for the membership that includes the free snack just to say they don't offer it anymore. Not only my family did not get the snack, they were rude when telling them that information. Thats false information on your website, if your not going to honor the snack with the membership, then take the information off the description when offering membership. You led me to believe a lie. This place was not the best to crowded no flips but on the sign there’s a guy doing a backflip do not recommend

Visitors can also enjoy the VIP room with private lanes for a more exclusive experience. The facility is well-suited for family outings, offering arcade games, laser tag, and delicious food options.
I visited this Main Event location yesterday evening, and I can say it is by far the best Main Event I have been to. I believe it is fairly new compared to the others I have been to, but it really shows. Clean, great lighting, nice selection of bowling balls, a huge arcade, the prefect bar, and tasty food. This is my main choice for any fun to be had. I’ll be back soon, no doubt!

Top notch experience at Main Event. Lots of arcade games for kids and adults of all ages. There is a height policy of being at least 48” to participate in some rides or ticket events. The bowling lanes are very nice and have entertaining graphics that keep the action going. We were impressed with the quality of the food surpassing our expectations. Everything was served (to the bowling lanes) at the same time and was piping hot. Nice restaurant and bar area, along with private banquet room and open area specifically designed for birthday parties.

Guest of 15 people all last minute and it was nothing to this Gentleman to take care of. Food was great staff beyond amazing. Never had to ask for help or where our food was. Horseback riding service
Outdoor equestrian facility
The horseback riding service at Brazos Bluffs Ranch, LLC is a great way to enjoy the scenic trails and wild animals on the property. Both experienced and inexperienced riders can take part in the rides, which are easy to follow with minimal guidance from the tour guide. They also offer sunset rides with personal touches like ice cream floats to watch the sunset.
Great day for a ride! Very enjoyable horseback ride and 90 minutes is great but you'll wish it was longer. Definitely going to encourage some friends to come out and enjoy. Starts out in field, then down a path into the forest, down some hills, up some hills to a beautiful view over the Brazos. I had a nice tall horse named Chief he was calm and had a much quicker pace than the one in front so had to make him walk a slower pace. I encourage a ride out here, it is a good time and the guides/ranchers will instruct you on what to do and the horses know what they are doing. Nice people and nice horses. Maybe I'll see you out there when I am back. Have fun!
Kevin W — Google review
Highly recommend Brazos Ranch if you want to do any horse riding. We had such a wonderful time from start to finish. Maddie and Ruthie were very friendly and gave us a very warm welcome along with very clear instructions for riding. The horses were all very quiet and comfortable to ride along with feeling very safe the whole time. Beautiful trail with amazing views. Would definitely come back again the next time I am in Waco!
Roisin B — Google review
Absolutely loved riding here, and LOVED my horse, Lil Joe. He was a hoot! The most beautiful sunset, and we had the best wranglers in Texas showing us around. I very much appreciate their kindness, and I enjoyed my very first Dr Pepper float. Ruthie, Will, and Lemuel were the BEST!
Alicia N — Google review
Such a relaxing experience—90 minutes of nature, sun & much needed peace. Definitely will return for the Sunset option. All of the horses are very well cared for—beautiful coats & strong bodies. You can tell the owners aren’t just out to make money, but want to preserve their land & the animals. I had the pleasure of riding Chief. He was a big boy (over 16 hands, easy), stubborn but sweet at the same time. The trail/grounds were beautiful. Check in is simple with a small waiver. Instructors are thorough and friendly. Have the option to wear a helmet. The leads take photos as you ride. There’s a small merch shop on the grounds with hats, tees and other trinkets as well soft drinks and water.
Nicole P — Google review
what a great experience! our tour guides, Ruthie and Maddie, were amazing in prepping you for the ride and then helping guide you on the path along the way. they made us feel so comfortable on the horses. it is beautiful ranch—the sights, horses, land, and people. if you are in the Waco area i highly recommend checking out the Brazos Bluffs Ranch!

This was so much fun! We took our three grandchildren on a ride and they loved it! The guides, Mattie and Savanah, were exceptional! The scenery is absolutely beautiful as were the horses. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We are now looking at doing a sunset ride!

My Hips Still Hurt, But My Heart Is Healed — A Brazos Bluff Ranch Sunset Review If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to straddle a noble steed, gaze upon God’s favorite stretch of real estate, and experience both enlightenment and early-onset saddle sores in a single evening—then giddy-on-up to Brazos Bluff Ranch in Waco, Texas. I signed up for their 2.5-hour sunset ride, and let me tell you, partner, it delivered more drama, joy, and unexpected hip flexor engagement than a full season of Yellowstone. The moment my boots hit the stirrups, my rear end whispered, “We’re not built for this.” And after trotting those inclines, declines, pastures, and forest trails, my ass now walks like it’s narrating a Ken Burns documentary. But honey, it was worth every lopsided step. ⸻ 🌄 The Ride The first hour warms you up—both spiritually and in the inner-thighs-you-forgot-existed. You’ll trot through fields, duck under forest trees like you’re on the run from the law, and climb hills that make you question your life insurance situation. My horse handled it like a seasoned trail philosopher; meanwhile, I clung on like a barnacle with anxiety. ⸻ 🌅 The Bluff (AKA: Where Heaven Clocked In) Just when your tailbone is preparing its resignation letter, you emerge atop a bluff 25 feet above a winding river, looking out over the Texas countryside as the sky explodes into sherbet glory. That sunset didn’t just glow—it seduced. I’m talking “sun making passionate, slow-motion love to your eyeballs” levels of beauty. I briefly believed the reckoning had arrived, and I was totally fine with it. ⸻ 🥤 Dr Pepper Floats & Adirondack Salvation As if the view didn’t already slap me into bliss, the staff served Dr Pepper ice cream floats while we lounged in Adirondack chairs. I have never felt so Texan, so at peace, or so unwilling to move my lower half again. I was paralyzed by glory, dairy, and awe. For 30 whole minutes, nothing existed but that sky, that river, and my float. ⸻ 🤠 The Wranglers Top-tier humans. Friendly, funny, safety-minded, and skilled at pretending my horse and I both knew what we were doing. ⸻ ✅ VERDICT Would I return? Absolutely. I would crawl back if I had to. Was it worth temporarily walking like I auditioned for a spaghetti western? Also yes. Final Summary: Brazos Bluff Ranch will bruise your booty, steal your breath, and baptize your eyeballs in sunset glory. Go. Ride. Float. Repeat.

This place is amazing! I was so impressed by all the items being sold, the quality and craftsmanship is amazing. We ate at the waffle co and the cafe and the food was delicious and very fresh. We will definitely be back and would like to take some of the classes.

We accidentally found this place and I feel blessed to have gotten to experience such an awesome thing Shopping prices are up there but the classes are not pricey. Very sweet community. The food in the cafe was awesome and was very obviously fresh. Their salads are perfection. We were able to do a lot of window shopping and the shops are very unique and very friendly and hold a lot of hard work.

Cool Little Community. All the folks we visited with were very pleasant and helpful. Came across this community as we went to dine at the Waco Waffle Co. I had actually read about this community a few months back but didn't realize that it was the same place until we got there. Community is based on self sustainability. They have pottery, leather works, blacksmithing, gristmill, sewing and woodworking. There is probably more but that is what I remember. On Saturdays from 10-2 they have a market open with a variety of vendors and activities. It will take an entire day to go thru and visit all the shops and facilities. We were not able to, guess we'll have to go back. I will be leaving another review soon about the Cafe, heard it was good and saw some other positive reviews about it. Stay Tuned.

Really quaint spot with great handmade artisan goods. A little on the higher price but you can tell a lot of thought went into their goods. Educational and fun- excellent cheese shop and cafe for lunch. Chocolate and coffee shop super cute too. Worth the trip if you’re in town for Magnolia!

What a wonderful place, spent several hours exploring all the different shops. Looking forward to come back and take some of their classes. I'd like to do the cheese making and looming class. We ate at the Cafe and it was amazing! Be sure to make reservations, which you can do online, because this place gets busy. My favorite part was the working gristmill! It was so cool to watch it grind flour right in front of us. And of course, the cheese cave was awesome! Bought 3 types of delicious cheese. They let us try 10 different cheeses, they were all so very delicious! It was difficult to pick just 3 (they had a special, buy 2 and get 1 half off).

This place is so cool. So many different crafts and friendly staff. Absolutely could spend a whole day here learning and interacting with the craftsman. Great food. Great cheese. Little bit a horse poop so wear your outdoor shoes. They also offer a couple different types of classes which I look forward to looking into. Absolutely recommend for the whole family

My 5 girlfriends from Houston, Nashville, Mountain Home Ark , and Ok City spent 2 days at Homestead Heritage. Day 1 we each blew a glass ornament! It was a great experience. We learned a great deal and came home with a beautiful ornament! Day 2 we did a tour of the property and 4 shops. We finished the morning with lunch at the cafe. This is an amazing oasis hiding in Woodway. Went there on a Monday morning, so we mostly had the place to ourselves. Nice hiking trails, albeit short ones, and even in late summer there were tons of flowers, butterflies, and bumblebees. Can't believe I've been in Waco 15 years and this was my first visit. Magnolia Table is a popular dining spot in Waco, Texas, known for its breakfast and lunch offerings made with locally sourced ingredients from nearby gardens and farms. The restaurant, owned by celebrity couple Chip and Joanna Gaines, is housed in a historical landmark that was once the Elite Cafe on the Circle. With its charming setting and delicious food, Magnolia Table attracts both locals and visitors from across the country. The menu features southern-inspired dishes, including a renowned chicken salad available for takeout.
We decided to make the drive from Dallas while visiting, and it was definitely worth it! 👏🏼 The biscuits + honey butter are exceptional! A must get for your appetizer. We shared the signature smash burger and it was delicious. The Brussels sprouts!!…SO GOOD. Don’t be fooled by the dark crispy color, these are incredible. Service was amazing as well! Shout out to Loren for making our experience so welcoming. 🫶🏼 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First time visit here while I was in Austin. The atmosphere was quaint and cute. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The server was a wonderful young lady and very friendly! The best thing we ate was the appetizer of maple bacon & deviled eggs... absolutely hands down the BEST 👌 10 OUT OF 10! The other food we got was good but the eggs and bacon app was the show!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Magnolia Table is truly a special experience from start to finish! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with that signature Magnolia charm that makes you feel right at home. The staff was attentive, kind, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. The food was absolutely incredible—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The biscuits and strawberry butter are a must-try, and every dish we ordered felt like it was made with care and attention to detail. Portions were generous, and everything came out hot and delicious. What really stood out was how everything—from the décor to the menu—felt thoughtful and intentional. It’s not just a place to eat, it’s an experience that leaves you smiling long after you leave. I highly recommend Magnolia Table to anyone visiting Waco. Whether it’s breakfast with family or brunch with friends, this is the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again.

Definitely make a reservation! My son ordered Jo's crunchy French toast with over easy eggs and bacon, my sister and I ordered the Farm house breakfast and we had coffee. Everything was SO good. The French toast was the favorite. The bacon is very good too. We were seated at 10:20 am, and our reservation was at 10:30 am today. Service was very good and the food was delicious! We loved the atmosphere! The plant boxes everywhere were very nice. The restrooms were very clean and they had an attendant in there to keep it clean. We appreciated that there wasn't music playing in the background. You could just hear the hustle and bustle of a busy restaurant and the conversations of people enjoying a meal together. We will make sure Magnolia Table is part of our annual trip to Silobration!

Came here for the first time for a quick brunch, and also because I was curious about this place I watched on Fixer Upper years ago. Perhaps because it was a Tuesday, it was very easy to make a 12.30pm reservation last minute. Still, the place was full when I got there, and I felt lucky to find a spot right away in the parking lot. Upon entering, I found the place quite large and bright, although the hostess could be a bit more welcoming to guests. Once seated, service and food came quickly, and my server was excellent. I ordered the avocado toast with a poached egg, and a pumpkin spiced latte with soy milk. Perhaps paying $16.50 for one slice of toast with no sides was a bit expensive, I was pleasantly surprised that it was super tasty, and the sourdough bread was nice and soft, just the way I liked it. The pumpkin spiced latte was a bit too sweet for me, but the flavor was good. All in all, it was a very nice experience and I would certainly recommend this place for brunch.

Beautiful restaurant! The staff was amazing! Food was good, but not exactly that "next level" I was expecting. Don't get me wrong, it was good, and I would go back. I guess with all the hype I was expecting more. But overall its an awesome dining experience. I suggest reservations. It was packed when we arrived and the seated us immediately.

Here in Waco with my daughter for the weekend and we planned dinner here, I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and our waitress was amazing, exception service. We had the chicken biscuit sliders for our appetizer and it did not disappoint, I ordered the steak frites but subbed the blue cheese sauce for the chimichurri sauce and also subbed the fries for the mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were a ok, my steak was unevenly cooked (I like medium rare) and a bit chewy/tough, but I'm a hard critic when it comes to steak, the chimichurri sauce was amazing!! My daughter had the bucatini pasta and that was perfect! Overall food and service was good I would definitely come back but I would just choose a different main entree! very good, however

Cannot say enough positive words about Magnolia Table. Now folks, Magnolia Table, and the Silos including Magnolia Market have come to be quite the destinations in Waco, and we knew that going in. So, we made reservatioons at Magnolia Table for 2:00pm on a weekday. When we arrived about 15 minutes early we were seated within 5 minutes. Had a VERY pleasant server. We ordered the Breakfast Sandwich (Her) and I had the French Toast Crunch. Photos of both attached. Both meals were EXCELLENT. Our only complaints (an observation more than complaint) was that the portions were HUGE. My wife didn't fininsh her side of potatoes, and I really struggled with my French Toast. The couple next to us (had a nice chat with them during the meal) left 1/2 their food on the plates. So, 5 stars for Magnolia Table. The place was spotless, waitress was very pleasant, food was excellent, and restrooms were tidy. Like I said, make reservations well in advance if possible, and yeah ... you'll likely be dining in a full restaurant.

Heritage Creamery is a beloved ice cream and cookie shop in Waco, Texas, known for its locally sourced ingredients and homemade treats. Founded by Blake and Kimberly, who are Baylor graduates and prioritize using natural ingredients without additives or preservatives. Situated near Baylor University campus and downtown Waco, it's a popular spot to grab a refreshing treat during the hot Texas summers. Their signature flavors like Duck Fat Caramel and Cowboy Coffee are not to be missed!
The ice cream selection is fantastic. Also one of the best waffle bowls that I've had in a long time. I had the banana foster. Great pit stop if you are driving to or from Austin, Dallas.

I’ve visited here a few times over the past several years. It’s a fairly nice experience, it’s a unique place and not a franchise which is the very reason for me to visit. As I drove up the dark street I thought maybe the place had gone out of business. The vintage ice cream truck parked on the street sat like an abandoned ship in dry-dock, with all manner of dirt, leaves and debris piled around. It seems the street-sweepers simply drive around the edges of this eyesore. All-the-while shoving more crap under around the resting hulk. It is, apparently, a vehicle parked on a public street with an expired, 2012 registration sticker. Waco is a wonderfully forgiving town. The ice cream is good, but 4 flavors were “out”. This was surprising since it was a Thursday evening and Baylor University is on Christmas break. No students around to scarf up all the goodies. As I sat leisurely enjoying two scoops in a freshly-made and quite delicious waffle cone, I noticed the dilapidated look about the place. Several large water stains on the ceiling, many burned out light bulbs, etc. The most remarkable feature was the astonishing collection of cobwebs about the place. I think that the last time a dust-broom has been here was opening day in March 2016. I WAS taken by the length-of-service of the light bulbs above the service bar. They burn nicely and CLEARLY haven’t been touched in an impressively long time. Must be LEDs. Smart choice.

Absolutely loved this ice cream shop! The vintage interior gives it such a unique and charming vibe—like stepping back in time. The ice cream flavors are creative and delicious, and the freshly prepared waffle cones take everything to the next level. A must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth!

Sourced from milk-king dairy in McGregor, this independent creamery is true to using local ingredients… and the taste shows. They offer pint size tubs of various flavors for $9. While their ice cream is more expensive, it is worth a try. We enjoyed their butter pecan and their coffee flavor is a good pick too.

We travel from Dallas Tx to try this ice cream! And they didn't disappoint us, very tasty and with seasonal fruit! We tried the cookie with ice cream , and ice cream in fresh waffle ! A very nice detail with us :: 😍😍they gave us permission for our dog to come in because it was very hot and they gave him ice cream to try too, thank you ! ♥️ I highly recommend it and I'm sure we'll be back soon!

Nice little shop, unique ice cream flavors. I had a scoop of brown butter Texas pecan in a cone. Delicious! I would recommend asking for a bowl as the cone is very thin and breaks easily.

The ice cream was phenomenal!!!! Their waffle cone are so good and completely unique! The staff was amazing and even gave my Chihuahua a pup cup of ice cream that she went nuts for one it had warmed up just a little! I will definitely find time to stop by again!

The Branding the Brazos sculpture is a life-sized depiction of cowboys and their cattle on the Chisholm Trail. It's located at the end of the suspension bridge over the Brazos River in Indian Spring Park. The construction is preventing visitors from walking by the river, but it's still a beautiful place to walk around.
This is an astonishing sculpture covering hundreds of feet. It really gives you the impression that the cattle is being driven to the bridge in order to cross it. There are many details in the many sculptures so really take your time enjoy each piece. And it sure looks as if each cattle is different. At least their horns are slightly different. Make sure to walk the bridge when visiting.
Dan M — Google review
Walked around this park on 3/3/25 alone. My daughter stayed at the hotel as her knees hurt from walking too much earlier. This was a nice walk. Saw a few homeless people. They were nice and friendly. I understand that they had renovated this suspension bridge recently. It’s a nice park and area to walk 🚶‍♀️around.
Aileen C — Google review
Came to see the suspension bridge which we had heard had been recently renovated. The statues of the steers and cowboys "driving cattle down the Chisholm Trail" was a welcome addition to the visit. We've been to the end of the trail up at Kansas City and a few other places. We did not know about this art installment. Think it is nicely done and adds to the experience down at the park.
Jeff S — Google review
Located on both sides of the Waco Suspension Bridge, this is a tribute to the Chisholm Trail on which Waco was a part. (I've just come from Paris where I visited the Burial Site Of John Chisum.) The sculptures feature a trail boss and a herd of steer being driven. They are life size which gives you the opportunity to see the power of these huge beasts and what it must have taken to bring them to market.

Very cool statues depicting the history of the chism trail ride
Tammy H — Google review
The Chisholm Trail, a vital cattle drive route from the 1860s to 1880s, stretched from South Texas to Kansas railheads like Abilene. Locally, it passed through Waco, where the Suspension Bridge, opened in 1870 as the first across the Brazos River, aided drovers with its 475-foot span. Built with steel from John A. Roebling and supervised by Thomas M. Griffith, it was bought by McLennan County in 1889, becoming a free thoroughfare. The trail peaked in the 1870s, moving thousands of longhorns, but faded as railroads expanded. This historic site near Waco’s bridge keeps the legacy alive. Worth a quick visit!
Madelyn S — Google review
I'm a Sixth gen Texan. My ancestors drove the Chisholm Trail. The "Branding the Brazos" installation is a good tribute. The statues are bigger than life, as they should be. The entire work tells a good story. The beef and the men. I highly recommend a visit.

Absolutely beautiful addition to Waco. We visited once before when it was tarped off and still under construction. My family was in awe. Visit in person to see the huge scale- it's larger than life size. My favorite parts are the Longhorns and spinning spur on the Vaquero!

Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream is a popular chain that offers made-to-order ice cream and yogurt, with options including vegan and soy varieties. The shop provides a unique experience where kids can select custom flavors and watch as their treats are flash-frozen before their eyes. Customers rave about the delicious ice cream sampler, which features an assortment of flavors presented like a charcuterie board.
Brought the kids out to get some ice cream they really enjoyed watching the whole process. I had strawberry shake that was really good and I had to get a small vanilla with peanut butter cups and Twix was really good the kids loved this place definitely coming back

The ice cream was absolutely delicious! It was not too rich of sweet. Perfect for a hot summer day! Never tried nitro ice cream before! Highly recommend. We are visiting from out of town, but would love to come back! The customer service was amazing! Our waitress explained the options in full detail, and also offered some suggestions. She was kind, welcome and courteous!

Cool idea, but not impressed with the execution. The were out of quite a few flavors and the pistachio we got tasted like amaretto. I am also not sure why the till was showing $6.81 when we were charged $7.10.
Madelyn S — Google review
Was such a kool experience to see the ice-cream you choose and build your own option in action. Definitely recommend stopping by here for a frozen sweet treat. Can't wait to visit again. I got the banana cream regular size waffle cup w/ walnutz added and caramel sauce swapping out the original fudge topping.

I came almost a hour after opening time and the doors were locked. This is not the first time this has happened as last time I came 2 hours after opening and the employee had not finished setting up and told us to come back. As well as another time when I came before closing and they had closed 40 minutes early. Very unreliable and poor customer service. Update 9/9/25 I decided to give the business another chance because I truly like the ice cream however I got there at 2:15 a hour after the posted 1:15 opening time and the doors were still locked. I would understand if there was a note on the door explaining why they can not open on time but there is nothing. I am very disappointed at the constant lack of the shop being open at the posted hours.
Grace D — Google review
Decided to give this place a try, and we were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and explained all the options. We enjoyed watching the ice cream made and it was delicious. It was more expensive than I was prepared for but was well worth it for the experience and taste. We will definitely be back.
Sarah N — Google review
Amazing customer service , Lydia and Cristal were amazing and funny . I got to watch them change out the nitrogen tanks and it’s so cool to watch them do it. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. Even if the ice cream was bad I would come back for them .
Chris S — Google review
Ordered the vegan base, chocolate and vanilla flavors and rainbow sprinkles. Was excited for a dairy free option. She sprinkled unsweetened cocoa powder in it and then poured in sprinkles and they froze it. It tasted like nothing. No flavor. When I asked if there was a sweetener in the base, she said some stevia but then said, “yeah, the vegan base tastes like water.” She did offer to remake but her lack of confidence that I would get any flavor made it seem pointless to even try. So I just threw away my ice cream. I gave it an extra star because my kids did enjoy watching the ice cream be made, the staff was kind and my boys did enjoy their ice cream in the end. Me? Not so much.

Art museum
The Martin Museum of Art, located at Baylor University, is a university art museum that boasts a diverse permanent collection and hosts various exhibitions and events. The museum's 1300-object permanent collection features artwork by renowned artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Kathe Kollwitz, Francisco de Goya, and Edouard-Leon Cortes. Additionally, the museum showcases the artistic talent of Baylor University's own art program through student and professor exhibitions.
This art museum is a lively little space with several rambling rooms. When I visited the galleries were divided into two separate exhibits and an art studio room geared toward kids. The gallery shares a building with the art, art history, and theater departments, along with a large performance hall. It was a bit difficult to find visitor parking close enough for a hundred degree day, though the science museum is just across the main street.

An incredible experience! Our group of students and teachers absolutely loved visiting the Martin Museum of Art. The art was inspiring, and the staff, professors and students were all incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. A hidden gem on Baylor’s campus!

A nice, small gallery, perfect for walking through when you have some time to kill and are interested. Definitely stop by, the student works on display are all wonderful and they usually have a special exhibit for the season. There's no cost of admission and the special exhibits are usually authentic, not replicas. One of the best art museums in Waco, despite its' humble size. This is my review, so I'll say that I think it's just the right size. Plenty to see if you know where to look, and not so much to see that you exhaust yourself and don't get to finish what else you want to do.
Feel-Good F — Google review
It isn’t the kind of art museum you might think. It’s actually for the Baylor Art students pieces of art. I really don’t recommend this place if you are wanting to see art. There isn’t much in there.
Charity — Google review
I want to start by saying that the art was absolutely lovely. That’s where the positivity ends. The woman working at the desk was quite rude when I tried to take a photo of a painting. It is not posted anywhere inside the galleries about no photography. She needs to work on her ability to work with the public and possibly her ability to be a nice human. I traveled two hours to come here today, and I will not be back not that it matters.
The C — Google review
This is a terrific museum! The exhibits are always worth seeing, and varied in terms of medium, artist, and styles. It is a wonderful place to enjoy many talents showcased.

Love this place. Paddle boarding is a bit pricier than other places but the equipment is good and the 1-2 hours are totally worth it. The water is so peaceful and calm in the Brazos. If it's your first time, you can reserve online if it's a busy weekend, or just show up at the truck located on Franklin and University Parks Dr. You'll buy a board for 1 or 2 hours, give em your keys or ID, and walk directly toward the river, down the stairs, to the right of the Franklin bridge where you'll see the dock. The staff is very try friendly and very helpful. Very nice and pleasant to deal with. The Mocha is literally best I’ve ever had in my life. For someone who like their coffee to have a kick the large has 4 shots of expresso in it which is right up my alley. I would recommend this for anyone. It is a nice little coffee shop. They also have a drive through as well. There is a nice back area with stage for music.

Cafe Cappuccino is a local chain with two locations in Waco, offering a contemporary setting to enjoy breakfast, sandwiches, tea, and coffee drinks. Known for its varied coffee menu and delicious breakfast items like plate-sized pancakes and innovative omelets, it's a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The cafe also offers traditional favorites alongside light salads and lunch specials to cater to different tastes.
Atmosphere: Looking at it from the outside is way different than being inside the establishment. From the outside it blended within the surrounding buildings, but once I entered the restaurant it had a great ambiance, especially with the greenery wall great for photo ops. The lights were nice and ample seating in the front of the building, with more towards the back of the building. There was a lot of natural light and was able to see the farmers market as I had breakfast. Service: Service was great as soon as we entered the restaurant and was almost seated immediately. Our waitress was able to answer all of our questions and was even able to offer recommendations. Quality: I had the Mexican Scramble with a pancake. Before I get to the great part of the meal, the Mexican Scramble had so much flavor and was a decent amount for what was paid for. The sign wasn't lying when it said Pancake Heaven... I got a buttermilk pancake and it was delicious. The right amount of fluffiness and still had the ability to absorb the syrup that was provided. Definitely a top spot for eating purely pancakes. Fili's Fave: No surprise here...the pancakes are where it's at and definitely going to broaden my horizon with the various types of pancakes they offer. Now if I could only obtain some of the merch that the employees were using

Cafe Cappuccino – Pancake Heaven or Pancake Hype? Downtown Waco’s Cafe Cappuccino brands itself as “Pancake Heaven”—lit up in neon like a promise. But anytime you declare heavenly status in breakfast form, you better deliver. So… did they? Atmosphere & Setup Cozy, diner-esque with a touch of charm (including a random Eiffel Tower photo that keeps things interesting). The big catch? You’ve got to scan a QR code at the entrance to get on the waitlist. Not exactly warm and fuzzy, but it’s efficient—especially on weekends. Food Rundown • Breakfast Taco: Bacon, hash browns, cheese, and eggs folded inside a flour tortilla. A bit of shredded cheddar and a side of picante sauce—which, honestly, felt like a throwback. Not the worst, not the best—just unexpected. Would’ve preferred a fresh, in-house salsa to lift the flavor. • Sweet Potato Pancake: Huge. Like, one covers the whole plate huge. Texture was nice, edges had a crisp, and it was sweet without being overkill. Ate about half and called it a win. • Coffee: Solid. Hot. No complaints. And the best part? Tony, my server, offered me a to-go coffee without even being asked. That’s next-level. Service: The Real Highlight Let’s talk about Tony. Attentive, friendly, checked on me multiple times without hovering. He anticipated what I needed, and honestly, that elevated the whole experience. It’s rare to get that kind of thoughtful service these days—Tony’s the kind of person that makes you want to come back, even if the pancakes don’t knock you off your feet. Egg Surcharge? Yep. There’s a whole sign about it at the front. “Due to rising egg prices…” and so on. Honestly, I’d rather they just build it into the menu price and call it a day. Nobody wants to walk into a breakfast spot and be greeted by a cost breakdown memo. Final Take: 4 out of 5 stars. The food? Decent. The vibe? Chill. The service? Exceptional. Tony, if you’re reading this—you’re the MVP. And if you go, just know one pancake is plenty. They don’t mess around with portion sizes. ⸻ Want this adapted into a short review for Yelp/Google with a photo caption suggestion too?

Really delicious breakfasts with whole wheat pancakes and sugar free syrup. And they have the most sugar free coffee flavor options I've ever seen. Really friendly staff. Highly recommend.

This place was recommended by a friend. I've been to several coffee shop / breakfast places in Waco but this one had the biggest menu of them all and everything I ordered was great. As a matter of fact I came back three more times during the week I was here!
Kevin S — Google review
We had been wanting to try breakfast here. To start; we waited a while for service which wasn't a big deal until we realized that we were 1 of about 4 tables in the whole place and there were 3 servers. My cappuccino was very watery as were my husband's biscuits and gravy. Not runny gravy... watery. Not creamy at all. Of all the offerings on the menu I chose quiche... I had been craving a good quiche. This place was usually busy and I felt that reflected of the food and service. It smelled clean when we walked in so we thought they're bound to be good... NO. My "quiche" came out and visibly I was already disappointed. It looked like a brick that you build houses with. I stuck my fork in and got the same.... it was pre-made (which I expected) hard, rubbery, and hard to chew. And while the pancakes had good flavor they left much to be desired in the fluff department. To the owners of this establishment; please Google what quiche is and take the brick off the menu! Last but not least; I was forced to eat said brick because I was starving and my server never came back to check on me. Very disappointing date with my husband.... UPDATE- As can be seen below; business owners don't have time for a genuine response anymore. While we appreciate your apology it is not taken with the same feeling of mutual respect when it is obviously the same bulk chain response that every guest gets when we come to an owner with genuine concern for their business. We do not take time out of our day to review your place of business to hurt your business. We take time to give you a review because we want to see you get better and do better. Have a nice day and please do better.

Brittany was our waitress. She was wonderful with the kids & very helpful with suggestions for meals. My son said, "Britanny was the best waitress!! These were the best pancakes in the world!!!! I give it 1 million of 5 🌟 🤩 ⭐️. Next time we come to Waco this is our breakfast place. "
MonaLisa F — Google review
Been here a few times, it’s one of the better breakfast places in Waco. We waited about about 5-10 minutes using the check in website to check in. Service was quick to get us drinks and take our food order. After we ordered it took a bit for our food to come out. Maybe 25-30 minutes. The music kept fluctuating in volume which was a bit distracting. Also someone was messing with the lights. The lights in the restaurant turned on and off a few times but no big deal. The food was mostly very great. Mexican mash is super flavorful. Everything was cooked really well except the biscuits and gravy was cold. One single egg on the side was charged 4.05 with surprising and a bit of a rip off since a lot of the items were just barely more than that for a larger amount of food. Other than the biscuits and gravy being cold, overcharged for a single egg, and the food taking a bit to come out it was great. We enjoyed it!

LaSalle Shoppes is a must-visit destination in Waco for unique souvenirs and home decor. With over 8 showrooms, 50 vendors, and 15,000 square feet of space, it's one of the most original malls in Central Texas. The shops feature ever-changing merchandise with retro, shabby chic, and other styles. Visitors can find steampunk lamps, Breakfast at Tiffany's style items, retro tin signs, antiques, and more.
Came during our bachelorette trip, the owner is so sweet! Made our shopping trip really fun. Shop dogs Big Mac and Sundae are amazing!!

It's like a pet play date in there both times I've been. Staff is way more interested in the animals than the customers. I like pets, but wrong time and place. Additionally, both times I've been there, staff is eating a full meal at the front counter. Slightly unprofessional and equally off-putting. Decent selection of antiques, but way more "vintage" and yard sale items.
Jcorbymyers — Google review
Edit: Glad these reviews are helpful! Definitely a place I'll visit again and recommend to friends and family. This was my second visit and I forgot to leave a review the first time. There's a good variety of antiques and the place is pretty big. Last time I bought a clock for a reasonable price, this time there were even more cool new things to look at!
Christian R — Google review
This place was really cool, so many vintage & antique finds. Me and my family travelled from Lubbock, tx. I do have to say unfortunantly the cahiers gave me and my family ugly looks and were rude when we were checking out but did notice they were friendly to others. Only down side, will be my first and last time!

If you like Magnolia Market or Spice Village you will love going to LaSalle Shoppes! The place is huge, with two levels full of antiques and many other items with retro, shabby chic, and other styles. This is a fantastic place to get ideas to decorate your home in a unique way. My favorite areas where one that have steampunk lamps, a spot with items in a Breakfast at Tiffany's style, and the area that was full of retro tin signs. Great customer service complete a great experience here. Definitely recommend a visit to LaSalle Shoppes.

Basically an indoor flea market/trade days/antique shop setup. Some decent items but the prices are often too high for the condition of the stuff. I bought a few things, wanted more but I didn't want to pay the prices they were asking.

It's a haven for birdwatchers with diverse species like herons and bald eagles. The park also hosts professional tournaments and is known for its top-ranked golf course. That's a very beautiful place. I loved it! For spending some quality time, it's perfect specially in the afternoon. There are some shades where you can have a seat & have food together.

This was a wonderful outing with the family in Waco. The park offered many cool things to do such as feeding the ducks which they were thrilled about, the playground area, and walking across the old the foot bridge. My mother grew up here and told me stories about that bridge during a time when cars still zoomed across. This park also has a recreational center with other options when open... Just an all around great spot! 😍

I really enjoyed this park! It just so happened that the local Amtgard group was fighting here when I went. They are usually across the river on the hillside in Cameron Park. Great amenities, was nice place to bbq. Even had a gazebo to eat under. All and all, great park! I recommend.
Ray M — Google review
Excellent day for a walk! Nice trails, nice scenery. However, someone’s vehicle was broken into, it was parked away from others. Make sure to park in well lit and visible areas.
G J — Google review
Wonderful walking/biking trail along the Brazos River. Wide paved path transitions from open space right by the river to winding trail thru the woods. Goes all the way to Cameron Park where you can cross The Brazos and connect to the downtown trail. A disc golf course also follows this trail with interesting holes running thru tight woods. Great walk, quite flat. Be aware that you can start from one of several parking lots along the road and walk to Cameron Park where the trail then goes back up the bluff side of the river. BUT ... there is no bridge at that end of the trail, so you'll need to back track all the way back to your car. Maybe not an issue for some, maybe a blister issue for others. 😏

Cameron Trading Co. is a well-established antique mall located in downtown Waco, offering a diverse range of vintage items from over 40 vendors. The two-story building is filled with treasures such as dishes, books, barware, crystal, furniture, jewelry, clothing, and knickknacks from various eras. The second floor is particularly known for its Christmas and holiday decor. Visitors can expect to find unique souvenirs and collectibles to take back home.
Wonderful place to shop! This is a busy place with a lot to see. Many vendors there. High traffic must mean people like this shop. It is two story so many wonderful items. I happen to have a booth there, look for 138 and come and see me. I even have a section of my booth that is for vintage clothing. College student’s hay day! So many vintage t shirts and denim and new items weekly! Don’t miss this shop.
Coni J — Google review
What a fun time! Currently they are putting Christmas stuff out. Most of that is on the upper level. Side note there are stairs. :) I love the mix of items available. I've visited several times and will continue to. They work really hard to be seasonally appropriate. If you like antiques come on by and check them out.
Tamera G — Google review
Quite a big antique mall! Two floors to look through, good amount of variety. Although it was HOT and crazy humid inside as other reviews mentioned. Was talking with some of the booth owners and they agreed big time. Prices were a bit high on the stuff I was interested in as well. Good bit of uranium glass and even a whole section of minerals though. One of the front desk guys was nice, the other didn't seem as nice when I walked in.
Christian R — Google review
We own a shop and drove 450 miles to shop the Waco area. It has been great…until Cameron Trading Co. After going through their store and selecting several items, we were going to check out. One of the items was a repurposed vintage fan that had been turned into a light. We asked if we could plug it in. It had a new cord on it. The man and the lady at the counter were so rude. They do not allow anything to be plugged in. And, if it doesn’t work, you’re just out your money. As stated, the cord was in excellent condition and was new. They were rude, actually from when we came into the store, but we chose to ignore it. As small business owners, we know that you still need people to buy your products. The vendors cannot help what the front desk is like. However, sadly… due to the way we were treated, we left all of the items we were going to purchase. Who would buy something that they can’t even plug it in to see if it works? Add to that, you’re purchasing several items and you are treated like crap. So…there are so many great places to shop in Waco and around Waco. Do your research and you’ll leave with some great things from this area. Avoid Cameron Trading.
Shelly T — Google review
Had to give 1 star as that’s the lowest!! Went in and was extremely hot and uncomfortable to shop. Mentioned to the young man at counter and told me the owners were too cheap to turn on Air Conditioning. I told him well I would inform future customers. He told me to have a good day !
Randolph C — Google review
It's neat that they have different stalls for different vendors, however there isn't really anything noteworthy to buy. It just felt like a bunch of curated "junk". Would not recommend for antique-ing. The store was also really hot.

Midway Park Campground is a great place to get back in touch with nature. There are multiple camping sites, one near the lake and one for RVs, and they're well maintained. The park is also very serene and bug-free, but fishing was poor during our visit.
We stayed here as part of our roadtrip through Texas and it was great. Our site, 33, was pull through which was perfect. We had all hookups and a covered picnic area. This park is conveniently located in an area that has so many sites to see as well as easy access to Austin and Dallas.

Great location. Lots of spaces and tent camping areas. Didn’t disappoint. Quiet and peaceful. Will definitely come back and visit.
G J — Google review
As always, the Corps of Engineers develops and manages very nice campgrounds. Midway Park offers lengthy, roomy sites...both back in and pull through. Electric/water as well as electric/water/sewer. Tent sites, too. Right on Lake Waco for your boating and fishing pleasure.
Theresa E — Google review
We were there 2 nights in pull-thru site #29. The site was long enough for our 35' Motorhome and toad. It also had a pavilion with picnic table and a grill. It's near the highway so we could hear the highway at night. The site is located between 2 trees that has low hanging large limbs. I was very nervous about spending the night there as the limb was right above our bedroom area and there were storms forecasted to come through the area with winds. Most of the other pull-thru sites there that did not have trees hanging overhead were occupied so we had to remain there. Thankfully nothing bad happened that night and the next day I asked to be moved to another site and they moved us to site #28 which eased my concerns. The campground has good access to Hwy 6. It does have a boat ramp. Be aware that they close the gates at 10 pm. You can leave after 10pm but you can't re-enter the campground until the gate reopens at 6am. It was a nice campground and convenient to Waco but they really need to trim those low hanging limbs above those 2 sites.
D B — Google review
The park is well maintained and very serene. Had some issues with fire ants at our second cabin but no mosquitoes. Also, with the burn ban in effect we couldn't have a regular campfire. However we had a really great time here and will be back to do some biking and hiking.
Lisa G — Google review
This is a camping park with a beautiful lake view and a great place to fish. There is hot shower and toilet. The front entrance was closed when we arrived so we picked a campsite. (needs better signage) The camp host was a bit aggressive when he approached my buddy early in the morning. Long story short, I explained the situation and was able to get a break on a $40 camp since we didn't use anything. (Electric, water & grill).
Derek ( — Google review
Small Campground, spacious sites well maintained with lots of walking near by. Some construction noise currently (April 2021) and in the evening we heard SpaceX engines testing (or the worlds loudest RV furnace. Overall We would stay here again...even with the bathhouse being disgustingly dirty and broken...use your RV bathroom instead
Ralf T — Google review
I really enjoy the trails at Midway Park. You can access them from the campground as there is an abandoned road that connects it to the public park. The cedar tree forest feels magical in a way and the birds are all over the place...lots of variety of species too! They seem to be fairly used to human presence so they will fly and perch with you close by and are not easily spooked. This area is also easily flooded so at times after hard rains some parts of the trail are impassable. Go experience it for yourself and make sure to get off the trail sometimes. Lots of beautiful hidden places to explore.

Prepare to bask in the sunshine and relish in the delightful brews at Brotherwell Brewing, a vibrant sanctuary nestled in Waco. This family-owned brewery is a popular spot for beer enthusiasts, offering an array of beers such as lagers, IPAs, and fruit beers. The Balance Beam IPA is a crowd favorite with its harmonious blend of malt and hops. Situated near Baylor University on the scenic banks of Brazos River, this brewery features ample picnic tables for social gatherings.
Ahhh, really really liked my stop here! Amanda at the counter was super friendly and helpful; hazy ipa beer was great; outdoor space was beautiful and very dog friendly. Very inviting place; will come back when they have some events going on
Nathan F — Google review
Brotherwell has a cool vibe and great location. Tons of space, friendly staff. Tried the Shelter in Haze hazy-ok, looked great, but flavor was closer to an IPA than the fresh pop hazy usually encountered. Wacotown IPA definitely was, better of the two for me. Very chill space to unwind from travel or just wrap up the day.
SouTex T — Google review
Ambiance: Trendy brewery with a huge outdoor seating area perfect for bringing your dog, kids, and family/friends. Good weekend spot given that they have events, music, and games. I enjoyed their IPA options. My friend group and I liked sitting outside together at a long table and trying their beers. Street parking available. Clean bathrooms. It did seem the indoor area might get hot in the summer so I felt this is more of an outdoor venue.
MeetWithMacey — Google review
Not ready to be done for the day after exploring Waco, I crossed the bridge to Brotherwell. This is a brewery and they sometimes have a food truck. No food truck today, which was just as well, as I was well stuffed with tacos from earlier. A bit industrial and bare but they have a few tables inside and a few tables outside. I was inside and chose one of their beers, sitting at a table near a power outlet. No air conditioning other than a few high speed fans so a hot/humid day might be a challenge. Another beer and two hours later, I was ready to call it a day. Tripel, Radler, Wheat, Hazy IPA, American IPA, Porter, Irish Red and a Hazy Pale. The "Wacotown" was my choice and it was pretty tasty. Prices are reasonable at between $5.50 and $7.00 for a pint. They'll pull a pitcher if you prefer. I believe you can bring your own food if you want.

Great micro brewery! Good beer, craft sodas, local lemonade and lots of events and fun activities so check their calendar! They have a fun beer club that made me wish I lived local.

Mission accomplished! I went to 2 other breweries and they did not have growlers however Brotherwell did! This place had great branding I sampled several of their beers they were delicious they also had a rattler which is beer and lemonade which uses a local manufacturer for their lemonade. I even took home a 6-pack that's how tasty their beers were. The owner and his assistant were very friendly we talked a lot about the local community and compared them to Wisconsin Also discussed what's trending in beer. This was a very pleasant stop and it always a pleasure to meet new people in the industry.
Mary S — Google review
Excellent beer, including several Texas Beer Festival winners. Personal favorites were the hazy IPA and a Belgian. They welcome you bringing your own food. Plenty of indoor, outdoor, and parking space. Cool!
Sam K — Google review
This is a cool little place, it has a strong college vibe. There is no AC but they do have a swamp cooler so it's not terribley hot. I am enjoying myself and the beer is good. I had the October Fest and it was very tasty, I also had the Waco tour IPA, this was my favorite. The prices are comparable to other craft breweries. This was a good visit and I will be back.

The studio offers private workshops, throwing workshops, and build-a-mug sessions for those eager to unleash their creativity. We ordered 75 mugs to celebrate KIWI Trucking Company's 2nd Anniversary this June. I was looking for something unique but practical to share with customers, vendors and employees. Everyone we communicated with at Black Oak Art was prompt and professional, from first inquiry thru stamp design to shipping. We absolutely LOVE our custom, handmade mugs!

Lauren and Emma went above and beyond to accommodate me and my wife for a throwing session this past weekend. It really speaks volumes to the community and to this establishment that they are willing to work around their schedules to introduce newbies like us to the art of pottery! My wife and I decided to visit Waco for the weekend and has always wanted to try her hand in pottery since I can remember. I looked online to see that there were no available times for a class/session when we were in town, but I decided to inquire anyway. Lauren messaged me back to let me know that she had reached out to one of the artists that was able to work with our schedule and this will be the origin story for my wife's enthusiasm for pottery! Emma was kind, patient, and very encouraging to us during our session and it shows that she has such an amazing talent for teaching and love for her art. There were other artists working on projects while we were there which made it feel so organic. This experience felt as though it was catered to us, but with so much character, yet very familiar. If you are ever in the area and want to try your hand in learning, I would highly recommend Black Oak Art. On our drive home, my wife decided to buy a throwing wheel because it was so much fun! Thank you Lauren and Emma for the wonderful experience!

Working with Black Oak Art was an all around wonderful experience. They created dishware to our specifications and with our brand - which should be the basic basic minimum expectation for custom dishware - but they went way above and beyond by working with fully engaged artists who met our every design need and did so amazingly quickly. Every part of the process was both inventive and collaborative. I could not have asked for a better experience or product! Thank you Black Oak Art!
