Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, located just north of Brisbane's CBD, is the world's largest koala sanctuary and a haven for Australian native wildlife. Visitors can watch koalas lounging in gumtrees, hand-feed kangaroos, and observe endangered species like the cassowary. The sanctuary offers keeper talks throughout the day and opportunities to learn about various Aussie wildlife while exploring at your own pace.
Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is truly one of Brisbane’s most special attractions and a must-visit for anyone who loves animals. From the moment you walk in, the natural bushland setting makes you feel close to wildlife in a peaceful environment. The highlight, of course, is the koalas—you can see them up close, learn about their habits, and even have the chance to gently hold one for a photo, which is an unforgettable experience. Beyond koalas, the sanctuary offers so much more. You can hand-feed kangaroos in a large open field, watch platypuses swimming, and see a variety of native birds, reptiles, and farm animals. The daily keeper talks and shows are both fun and educational, making it a great place for families and kids to learn about Australia’s unique wildlife. The staff are friendly and clearly passionate about animal care and conservation, which adds to the overall experience. The facilities are clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate, with plenty of shaded areas to rest. There’s also a nice café with good food and drinks. Overall, Lone Pine is not just a sanctuary but a place where you truly connect with nature. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike!

What a magical place along the Brisbane River! As the largest and oldest koala sanctuary, it’s not just about seeing animals—it’s about conservation and welfare, which are clearly at the heart of everything they do. Everyone I met was genuinely passionate about their work, and the energy was infectious. You can’t help but feel uplifted and curious to learn more about koalas and the many other animals they care for and rehabilitate. I booked the Koala Discovery Tour and had the pleasure of having Ruth as my guide. Not only did I get a full hour with her all to myself, but she was also an incredible wealth of knowledge—patiently answering all my questions and sharing fascinating insights. I even got to spend one-on-one time with the koalas, which was an unforgettable highlight. Beyond the koalas, there’s so much more to experience. The dingoes were fascinating to observe, Cockie the cockatoo was an absolute character, and the kangaroos were so relaxed (and softer than I expected!). Feeding the lorikeets was pure joy. Overall, my experience was nothing short of wonderful. If you plan on visiting more than once, an Annual Membership is a smart choice—it includes 10% off food and merchandise too. I’ll definitely be back soon, and I’m especially excited for the Nocturnal Tour this Friday at 5pm
Angela A — Google review
Amazing day out with the kids. You can book an experience to get to close with the koala, you can touch them but not hold them. I would say that it would have been nicer if more information was given, about the animals stories. Lots of keepers around but no one talks to you.
Melissa B — Google review
A must-visit in Brisbane! Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is an amazing experience where you can get up close with koalas, kangaroos, and so many native Australian animals. The park is well-maintained, staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the animals are clearly well cared for. Loved the chance to see a koala up close and feed the kangaroos such a memorable experience for locals and visitors alike!
Kuan-Yu C — Google review
Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is a must-visit considering it's status as the world's first, oldest, and largest koala sanctuary in the world. It was truly a special experience seeing and interacting with the koalas and kangaroos up close especially in the huge free-roam area where the kangaroos were. The park is very well-maintained, with a number of other sections with a variety of other insects and animals. Definitely worth a visit if ever in Brisbane!
Cheryl T — Google review
Lovely large sanctuary with lots of native animals. Some of their confinements were large and spacious, while some other one seemed a bit small. Staff is friendlyvand knowledgeable throughout. There are plenty of amenities in the park, toilet facilities, cafes etc. The nicest part is the large kangaroos section where the kangaroos roam around freely. This is a lovely part to explore and walk around in, you can even feed the kangaroos with pellets you can purchase from the shop. However, they are well fed and might not be that interested in the snacks.
Babs M — Google review
I went on a Friday morning and had no issues buying my ticket on-site. I really enjoyed seeing the animals, especially the koalas and the kangaroos. I bought a koala experience to get up close. In my opinion, it was worth it because it’s so cute and you can satisfy your curiosity about how hair fur feels! I also bought kangaroo food. I liked it but some kangaroos were way too tired and maybe overfed, not a lot were eager to eat. bring hand sanitizer/wipes! there’s also sanitizer and washing areas around the zoo.

We are from the USA, living temporarily in Queensland for 18 months. Whenever we have friends or family visiting, Long Pine is one of the first places we go. We bought the 12 month pass to save a little money. We love to go in the afternoon, after the crowds have diminished. There's not as many shows, but it just seems more relaxing. Our guests love interacting with the kangaroos and getting so close to the koalas. You really don't need a lot of time to catch their exhibits, so Long Pine is a good go to place if you want to see some of the unique animals Australia has to offer.

Located within the Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens, the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium is a hidden gem in Brisbane. Opened in 1978, it features the Cosmic Skydome, which offers educational shows about the solar system and tours of the night sky. The planetarium also houses an observatory, Galaxy Gift Shop, and Sundial Courtyard.
This is my second visit in 3 years to this place and once again I am delighted. The service is very nice and Mr. Astronaut who runs the show tells in a very funny way
Mati — Google review
Basically this planetarium is not bad, but it's more like a museum that aims for the popularization of science. Besides, the whole content we can see is less than my expectation.

We are back here again for my daugther assignment regarding solar system. They have few shows going on and we love their Perfect little planet show.
Boon C — Google review
The Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium is renowned for its high-quality star projector and projection system, offering realistic displays of the night sky and astronomical phenomena. The planetarium houses an astronomy exhibition hall, showcasing the history, instruments, and technology of astronomy, attracting many astronomy enthusiasts and students. The planetarium regularly hosts various astronomy educational activities, including lectures, workshops, and stargazing events. It is suitable for families and student groups, especially those with a keen interest in astronomy. The Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium is considered an excellent facility that combines education and entertainment, receiving unanimous praise from locals and tourists alike. If you are interested in astronomy or looking to take your children on an educational trip, this is a highly recommended place to visit. I think It's one of Brisbane's must-see attractions~

Such a great place to for kida and adults alike. Really under a to be shows that are fun and provide a easy learning experience. Don't go if you get motion sickness 🤣 very reasonably priced. Adequate parking, but can fill quickly.

We visited the planetarium in late July 2022. (It is located next to the botanic gardens and you can cover both in the one day out.) We saw the show ‘Destination: Universe’. It was very entertaining and a great way to spend about 50 minutes. Well worth a visit. Recommended.
B P — Google review
A relatively small planetarium but great for visiting and spending a quick hour when nearby. There were a few small models won display alongside plenty of information board about our solar system and beyond. Aboriginal interpretations also shared within which were great, and planetarium talks were scheduled on certain days. Parking is challenging during peak times, as it’s located right next to the botanical gardens.

This was a great experience. My family enjoyed the worlds beyond this world. We where able to see different planets and their moons and see how life could inhabit that place. Would definitely recommend for family’s as it is a great experience for everyone to enjoy.

Roma Street Parkland is a renowned and expansive park in Brisbane, offering contemporary display gardens, waterways, and an amphitheater. It's a horticultural gem and a welcoming community space with spectacular flower gardens, children's playgrounds, accessible facilities, lakes, cafes, and event hosting. Located in the heart of the city next to Roma Street train station, it provides a delightful haven for relaxation, picnics by the lake, wildlife spotting, and exploring newly refurbished playgrounds.
One of the most iconic park near Brisbane city centre! I always enjoy the beauty of nature decorated in vibrant flowers colours, melodious birds singing, massive green area to play, decent barbecue area to arrange parties, clean toilets, great stage area to practice dances. City council has taken their jobs seriously to manage and maintain their sophisticated garden area to attract more tourists.
Dhanashree K — Google review
It is peaceful, calm and not noticeable that other people are there. There is something to see and enjoy but it is the styling of the garden beds with colourful flowers that brings the whole display together. Congratulations to all concerned.

Arrived here for a concert as part of the Brisbane Festival. A spacious and beautiful park to wander through. Plenty of wildlife to admire, lovely floral garden beds and playground space for the kids. This space feels cared for and it was lovely.

I really enjoyed my visit to Roma Street Parkland. It’s such a peaceful spot right in the middle of Brisbane — beautifully landscaped with colourful gardens, shady trees, and walking paths. Great place to unwind, have a picnic, or just enjoy the scenery. Everything was spotless and well cared for, and it’s super easy to get to from Roma Street Station. Definitely one of my favourite places in the city.
Gavin — Google review
Absolutely beautiful place to go! Bit of a hike to get to the nicer parts of the parkland but it’s definitely worth it. Loved to sit and watch all the lizards run around and chase each other. I look forward to coming back here again :)
Cyno — Google review
The best park I've seen in Australia. Compact, but diverse and spacious. Beautifully arranged, with incredible variety of plants, tasteful sections for practically everyone, from kids to seniors.

Now this is the place to go if you want to enjoy the outdoors highly recommend 10 out of 10 beautiful gardens, waterfalls, water fountains, even a little train to take you and your family around to see all the pretty flowers and trees etc... This is my new favourite place and I cannot wait to come here again. If you are ever in the area please make a day of it and enjoy as there is much to explore and dont forget to bring the whole family or just have a picnic and relax 😊 you won't be disappointed. Best thing ive experienced in a long time. Love, Love, Love ❤️

It was created by four well-known personalities and features 80 colorful shipping containers offering a variety of international street food, cocktails, arts and crafts, and clothing. The market comes alive on Friday and Saturday nights with fairy lights illuminating alleyways filled with global cuisine, pop-up bars, and live music. We absolutely loved it here! There were so many food options to choose from, and the atmosphere was incredible. The whole crowd felt included at each stage — everyone was singing, dancing, and laughing together. Such a fun experience, and we’ll definitely be back every time we’re in Brisbane!
Chantelle C — Google review
Dinner at the North Shore Eat Street was fantastic. I was so glad I could get there by ferry. I was able to enjoy the beautiful sights of Brisbane before the ferry arrived at the terminal. The eatery had a wide selection of food stalls, offering everything from grills and fry-ups to bakeries, fresh seafood, and desserts. The prices were very reasonable. After my feast, I enjoyed walking around and taking in the surroundings. Different bands, musicians, and artists were performing on various stages, making it both fun and relaxing. Definitely worth a visit.
LayGirl L — Google review
People go on about how great this place is. They are right. It's fantastic. Helping make it a great place is that the patrons just want a chill, good time. No drama, no idiots, just people having a great time. There are various security staff dotted around and each of them has been friendly and keeping an eye on things from a professional distance. The food prices are not at a discount rate but they are completely reasonable given the environment. Multiple areas of entertainment going on and there's absolutely something for almost everyone. I've been here a number of times and impressed on each visit. This place appears, from a customer's perspective to be well run. Huge admiration to all involved in making this a great venue. The caterers, the organisers, people running their businesses, the staff that are constantly cleaning up and with a smile on their face. Thank you all for giving up your own Friday nights and weekends to give us a great place to be.
Des — Google review
Had a nice experience here! We took a pleasant ferry ride to get to Northshore, and waited for some time before the opening time (yeah we arrived too early). Paid $6 per person (cashless only!) and finally get in. I had a fun time making my own candle with my own preferred smell and colour! We had a good dinner and even a beautiful sunset when we get back! 🧡

Such a fun spot to visit. There’s an amazing variety of food options, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The live entertainment adds to the atmosphere and makes it a great night out with family or friends.

The Eat Street Night Market is absolutely worth the entry fee — it’s well-organized, vibrant, and full of life! There’s food, drinks, and fun for everyone, making it a great spot for both adults and kids. The food selection is incredible, featuring cuisines from China, Japan, Hong Kong, the U.S., Greek, Turkey, Mexico, and more — the only challenge is saving enough room in your stomach! A truly impressive and unforgettable place to visit in Brisbane.
Annie L — Google review
It’s great to have a variety of different cuisine from many different cultures, live on stage entertainment during my visit. I suggest, best to make a phone call first and find out what is on and if it’s fee or free entry at the gate to ensure a “no dissatisfaction” experience. Only 4 stars from for the time being since I have only been there twice and was nothing like as per advertised on the specific on those two days in a row. Good ratings of 4 I believe are still reasonable because, the place is quite neat and tidy, toilet facilities are well maintained, accessible for everyone 👍 wheelchair ♿️ food was great and affordable prices, lively atmosphere, great view alongside the Brisbane river, lots of parking 🅿️ on site (fees applies) but not sure if it’s only on specific occasion. Plenty of dining tables to choose from to relax while enjoying a good meal while music is playing. There are many stalls on site and game stations are also there for children and many other activities to keep them occupied. This facility are made and built with sea containers but don’t worry, it’s spacey, you’re only entering on a sea containers surroundings. This place by the way is only open on specific times and days so as I mentioned above,⬆️ call first to ensure a happy experience. 👍 What is nearby is: Blueys world Brisbane, ferry terminal, parks, little beach and many more attractions nearby other than the riverside walkway, there’s also a cafe restaurant right near the ferry terminal, public toilets is also at nearby park.
Catherine V — Google review
A joyful place to enjoy a variety of food and beverages with family and friends on a Friday night. On your way back to the city, it's also fun to take a ferry ride along the river from the nearby ferry stop to enjoy the beautiful Brisbane night view.

South Bank Parklands in Brisbane is a family-friendly water park with pools suitable for all swimming abilities. It features a lagoon and a sandy beach, complete with lifeguards on duty. The park also offers various water features such as a mini Brisbane River, tipping bucket, and surprise squirting fountains. The venue offers a delightful experience suitable for all ages, featuring a diverse range of amenities. These include cafes, bars, restaurants, markets, and affordable dining options, along with a barbecue area for self-catering, complemented by a licensed area for enjoying beverages along the waterfront. Arrived at Southbank Parklands using the City Cat Once you arrive at southbank parklands head up ramp and turn right to find your way to the outdoor pools and beach Note: refillable water bottle station on path at this junction walk up paths to riverside cafe and bar which overlooks the river nice lunch available here lots of water features around this section of southbank parklands and large established trees for shade overlooking the river This area it has a children’s playground adjacent On this busy Tuesday at 12 noon lunch plus coffee cost $25 morning transport 50c per trip ie hop on hop off there’s also a “kiddie train “ that you can hop onto to tour the parklands which costs $8 per adult and $5 per child After a tasty lunch I headed towards the beautiful bougainvillea vine covering the walkway and followed along it to the southbank beach ! here you can swim have a cold beer or icecream and there are several options for takeaway foods or you could pack a picnic and eat in the lawns by the river or pools Swim change rooms are below ground at the South Beach mall location there is a lifeguard on duty here walk on and you’ll find the Epicurious garden with fragrant herbs large pots and culinary plants have a seat under the fig tree here by the river as it looks upstream > to the right NE to Kangaroo Point Cliffs and the cross river pedestrian only footbridge As it’s getting very warm in October you will definitely need to choose shady spots to cool down ! Gorgeous shade and beautiful breezes come up off the river in the afternoons which makes it the coolest part temperature wise it can get very hot at this parkland in the summer months Wise also to wear a hat sunscreen and bring a water bottle to refill Rest up and watch people, water craft, birds and the big scaly water dragons running around here these are harmless and won’t bite be aware of cyclists and those using scooters “sharing “ the walkways they may not necessarily be aware of you ! they can go super fast so i’d just be super aware ! Disability and Pram Access Notes on the whole southbank is very accessible for people in wheelchairs pushing prams and on bikes the beach area cafe has lift access up to the first level this is on the left side of the building there are ramps to access the ferry

A nice place and absolutely a must-visit in Brisbane. It is located near the city centre, just across the bridge. It also has some of the icons of Brisbane to see, such as the Brisbane sign and the ferris wheel. You can also see the stunning scenery of Brisbane City from here, the river, and also the bridge. It is also located near the Queensland Museum Kurilpa. It is also near the ferry station, and highly recommended to ride the ferry in the evening to see the stunning city views during sunset. This place is also a great place to run, or just sit and enjoy the stunning views of the city. Definitely a recommend place to visit in Brisbane.

At the “QAG CAFE,” the pumpkin quiche was delicious, and even the birds visiting outside the window added to the relaxing time. 🌿 City Botanic Gardens Right in the heart of Brisbane lies a green oasis. With a fountain pond, colorful flowers, and tropical plants, it feels like stepping into another world. Perfect for a stroll or picnic, it’s a place where you can pause and breathe deeply in between sightseeing. 🦘Queensland Museum Another pleasant surprise — the Queensland Museum is also free. From taxidermy of koalas and kangaroos to a life-sized whale hanging from the ceiling, the exhibits are breathtaking. It felt like a true exploration into Australia’s wildlife and history. 🏙 Cityscape & Atmosphere Brisbane’s cityscape is a blend of heritage buildings and modern skyscrapers, making every stroll photogenic. Classical statues and historic architecture harmonize with urban life. The three-car “Brisbane Metro” buses run like trains — turning even transportation into part of the sightseeing experience. 🌟 Overall Impression Brisbane’s cultural district brings together art, nature, history, and modern city life — all within walking distance. Many attractions are free, making it both accessible and enjoyable. It’s a city where you can truly experience the rare luxury of greenery in the middle of urban life.

New Farm Park is a sprawling public park located along the Brisbane River, offering expansive grassy areas, a beautiful rose garden, and various recreational facilities. Visitors can enjoy stunning sunset views and take a leisurely stroll on the New Farm Riverwalk, which connects the park to Howard Smith Wharves. The park provides ample space for picnics among trees and roses, as well as playgrounds and free Wi-Fi.
Great green space to watch the world go by, spend time with the family or friends heaps of tables and bbq available. Watch the river, joggers or dogs. Great coffee available with a few snacks and ice cream on a hot day. Beautiful rose gardens and heaps of shady trees. Love this park, we go at least once a week but gets a bit windy down near the river in winter so bring a jacket or blanket.

My family and I purposely came to New Farm Park on our last day of Brisbane trip in mid September, hoping to see jacaranda even though the season usually starts in October. To our surprise, we found one jacaranda tree with the beautiful flowers and it really made our day. The air in the park was fresh and we all enjoyed it.
Shien L — Google review
A fantastic open space on the edge of the Brisbane CBD. Plenty of things for individuals, couples and families to do. It's well worth a visit just to walk along the river or to sit beneath the cool Jacarandas and watch the world go by. There's always something to entertain you in the park or on the river front.
Brad H — Google review
Absolutely stunning this time of year! Nice to sit along the river and get distracted in the moment, amazing flowers blooming, not too busy during the week.
A K — Google review
New Farm Park is one of Brisbane’s most beautiful and popular green spaces, loved by both locals and visitors alike. Set along the Brisbane River, the park offers wide open lawns, lush gardens, and large shaded trees that make it ideal for picnics, family gatherings, or simply relaxing outdoors. During spring, the park becomes absolutely magical as the Jacaranda trees burst into full bloom, painting the entire park in vibrant shades of purple. The view is breathtaking—perfect for photos, leisurely walks, or simply sitting under the blossoms enjoying the gentle fall of petals. The park also features barbecue areas, playgrounds, and riverside paths, and it’s conveniently located near the Brisbane Powerhouse, where you can grab a coffee or meal after your visit. Overall, New Farm Park is a must-visit spot in Brisbane—especially in spring when the Jacarandas are in bloom. It’s the perfect place to unwind, enjoy nature’s beauty, and take in the city’s relaxed riverside charm.

New Farm Park is a very nice place suitable for the whole family. It's especially good at the moment as the jacaranda trees 🌳 are in bloom. The rose 🌹 garden is lovely. From the park you can get on the New Farm river walk which takes you up to the Howard Smith wharf.

Situated at Australia's oldest heritage railway workshops, the museum showcases an impressive collection of steam locomotives and industrial machinery. It has received accolades such as the Australian and Queensland Tourism Awards for Heritage and Cultural Tourism. Visitors can immerse themselves in interactive displays and multimedia presentations that narrate the rich history of Queensland's rail service.
Such a great railway museum with something for all the family. Children have a fantastic area to entertain them for ages....well done! I would recommend a minimum of 2 hours....could spend all day here if you want to read all the information boards. There's a Cafe on-site, but wasn't opened when we were there. Tickets approx $15/adult. Plenty of parking. I couldn't get the self guided app to work, however it didn't matter. Highly recommend you put this place on your list!

The Rail Workshop's history is presented in a way that is very well done. As you walk around, you can see, explore, and interact with the exhibits from start to finish. It seems that there are always special events happening at this museum, which means there's always something new to discover.

Recently visited the Queensland Rail Workshop Museum, and it was an incredible experience! The museum offers a fascinating glimpse into Queensland’s railway history, with a great collection of vintage trains and railway artifacts. It’s a must-visit for anyone interested in trains or looking for a fun and educational outing!

Great place for a visit for all ages. Lots of trains, history, a bit of science and a playground. If attending during an outdoor event (Thomas the train, food vans etc.) bring a hat as it can get hot. You can also pack your own picnic!

We also went on the sunshine express, loved it. I would take a picnic lunch for Grantchester station, they had a hotdog food truck. Donut can and coffee van. Good enough but would prefer different food.

Amazing things to see and learn about. Allow plenty of time to look around. Such a huge collection. Huge train set . Keep ds would love it and large key ds play areas.

Very good for the kid with young age. Only short drive from Brisbane. I went after the event and not many people here.

Went for a school excursion. Would only recommend it if your child is interested in trains and learning about the history and how they work etc. Also would recommend going in the cooler seasons as we went in October and it was way too hot and not enough inside areas for all the children at once. Also bring lunch - there is a little cafe shop but its very limited in options.

I happened to stop by this museum, and to my surprise, it was also free of charge🆓✨ Australia is truly generous in this way🇦🇺 The exhibits were so impressive — from taxidermy of koalas and kangaroos to a massive whale model hanging from the ceiling! 🐨🦘🐋 With so many life-sized displays, it really gave me a sense of the scale of nature. It was an exciting moment of unexpected discovery, and I love how travel brings these little surprises along the way🌿 What’s more, right in front of South Brisbane Station you’ll find a vibrant hub of art and culture. Art galleries, museums, musical theaters, and libraries line the area, making it feel like the city’s cultural heart. The moment you step out of the station, you’re greeted with a creative and inspiring atmosphere✨

The museum facilities were very good. Everything was Wheelchair accessible. The exhibit was top-notch. They limited how many people could get through at one time, which greatly enhanced the experience. We had a very good time. If you enjoy ancient history, ancient Egypt, pharaohs and mummies, then you’ll really enjoy this.
Joel C — Google review
The Queensland Museum showcases fossils and specimens that help us understand how temperatures in prehistoric times differed from today — a stark reminder of the serious impact of rising temperatures on nature. On the third floor, there are displays of Australian animals and insects, offering a closer look at their fascinating features. The most fun part was spotting stick insects in the terrariums, marveling at how cleverly these insects protect themselves — it’s amazing to see nature’s survival instincts up close!
Annie L — Google review
Worth checking out, a lot of things to see especially considering it’s free. Very informative and the aircon is perfect for a hot summer day if you’re looking for something to do without burning outside. Great for families and very interesting real life animals that you wouldn’t normally get to see.
Tim H — Google review
Had the grandkids with us. We all loved the interactive and fascinating displays. So much to see. Live stick insects, an array of taxidermy animals, the "rainforest" installation , huge dinosaurs, specimens under a microscope, and an interactive reef display. (Chasing crabs away) We spent an easy couple of hours here with 3 children - 1 , 4 and a 7 years old.
Danila N — Google review
It's free to get in, but has a lot of stairs to climb, once it got crowded ot was hard to see anything or interact with the displays that were available, a few more hands on things would be great. Had a lot of repeated animals displayed. The clothes were interesting.

Although it’s a state library, it’s fully open to everyone, including international visitors, with no restrictions. The facilities are exceptionally clean and modern, and the layout is designed in a way that lets you enjoy the surrounding views while you read or relax. It’s a quiet, beautiful space worth stopping by even if you’re just passing through.

It’s my first time in library in years and all of the staff I have encountered have been so sweet, kind and welcoming! There are lots of spaces to work and it’s varying levels of quiet depending on the section you are in. There is a shop and cafe at the bottom too and it has nice outdoor surroundings. I saw some lizards round the back on the grass! Very cool. 100% Recommend!!

I absolutely love coming to this library. It’s a beautiful building, and the view of the city is spectacular. The staff are always incredibly helpful, and I couldn’t imagine a better place to write my thesis. The only downside is that many of the younger visitors (under 20) seem to miss the signs that say “Quiet Area” and talk as if they’re in a café. It’s frustrating—especially after travelling over 40 minutes just to study in silence.
Sharne H — Google review
We had our wedding at the State Library and it was the most spectacular experience. The events staff were phenomenal throughout, and made us feel so comfortable and excited for the day. They were on top of everything from the start, and the day went so smoothly. It was an absolutely stunning venue, and so special.
Sophie P — Google review
It is one of the most beautiful city libraries I have seen. I haven't decided yet whether studying environments with river views are beneficial or an obstacle to studying :) It is a 5-storey building. There are two large Auditoriums. It's a great environment with computers available for free use. In The Edge section, there are facilities such as free 3D printers, a music recording room and an innovation laboratory. The best part was being able to use this library for free without registering.

In addition to the bridge walk, participants have the option to abseil 30 meters down one of the pylons for an added adrenaline rush.
We did the climb on June 29th, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The night view of the city was absolutely stunning—an unforgettable sight. Our guide, Sam, was fantastic. He and the entire team were professional, friendly, and made the whole climb feel easy, exciting, and informative. We were particularly impressed with the safety procedures and high-quality gear, which made everyone feel completely at ease throughout the experience. We also learned so much about the Bridge and Brisbane in general, which added real depth to the climb. Huge compliments to Sam and the whole team—great job! Highly recommended.

They kept everyone engaged, entertained, and feeling safe throughout. The group photos were absolutely amazing, such a perfect way to capture the memories. If you’re looking for a fun, informative, and genuinely memorable experience, Jasper and Alison are the perfect hosts. Highly recommend this adventure! Thank you again guys !!

We did the Twilight Story Bridge Climb and it was unreal! Our guide, Jasper, was awesome. Super funny, easygoing, and packed with info. He answered all our questions and shared heaps of cool facts about the bridge and the city. The views at sunset were unreal and the whole experience was such a great way to see Brisbane from a new angle. Highly recommend! Would totally climb again (even just for the outfit! 😂)

I did the Story Bridge accessible climb last weekend and it was amazing! They have a custom built chair which climbs the stairs if you have accessibility/mobility challenges. I use a motorised wheelchair and often have difficulties with balance/positioning in other chairs, but the SBAC team made me feel so comfortable and helped set up the chair with as much support as possible. Throughout the whole process, everyone was super friendly and I felt very supported and in safe hands. Climbing the Story Bridge is something I never thought I'd be able to do so this was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity for me - so surreal to see Brisbane from up the top of the bridge and to share this experience with my friends and family who also climbed with me was amazing. I loved every minute of the climb, and the ride up and down in the chair was smooth and comfortable. Thanks so much to the whole team for helping this be possible. They really showed what is possible when thinking outside the box.

Wow! What an experience we had. I took my 92 year old mum up on the bridge for a Twilight walk and our guide Issy was nothing but brilliant. We had such an amazing time and Issy made sure the whole group were comfortable and happy throughout the whole experience. We all sang ‘happy birthday’ to mum on top of the bridge and Issy made mum feel extra important and special for her birthday. Not only was Issy great, but all of the team working on the day were awesome and bent over backwards to make everybody comfortable and happy throughout - so thank you from the bottom of our hearts ♥️ You have an amazing crew and they all deserve credit for putting old time hospitality into all of our lives. Thanks team, keep up the awesome work xx

I turned up thinking I’d be herded into a tourist group (I’m a Brisbane local), but instead I was handed a kayak, signed a couple of forms, watched a quick video, and was soon paddling off on my own. It was a great way to take in the city at my own pace. The staff struck the right balance of being friendly, relaxed, and genuinely helpful. All of that without a single Gen Z stare. Am going back for sure.

We were really looking forward to doing the sunset kayaking in Brisbane. Unfortunately the day we came there were high winds and a strong current. Lockers, waterproof camera cases (available to rent) and toilets were available to use. Raj, our instructor, was great. The briefing prior to kayaking told us all we needed to know to get on the water. It was a beautiful evening despite the wind and current, with Raj guiding us safely on the journey. Would definitely do this again, hopefully with less wind next time.

Nestled within Brisbane's City Hall, the Museum of Brisbane (MoB) is a free-to-visit art gallery and museum that showcases the city's history, culture, and contemporary art. Visitors can explore historical exhibits, including artifacts like convict leg irons and a 200-year-old telescope once owned by Sir Thomas Brisbane. The museum also offers free tours of the iconic City Hall clock tower.
Museum of Brisbane is in the city hall on the third floor. This is a free entry facility and the collections are impressive. There are 2 main areas, “precious “ exhibitions and new light photography now and then. There are good collections of historical photographs of Brisbane which is very interesting. Also another area called Precious where different kinds of collections from toys to medical and architectural models. They have a souvenir store at the entrance and toilets nearby. They have free locker facilities as backpacks are not allowed in the museum. Overall we had a great time and Thanks MoB.

Located in the South Bank cultural precinct, it is easy to access and perfect for visitors of all ages. The museum features engaging permanent exhibitions as well as rotating special displays, so there is always something new to see. Inside, you can explore topics such as Queensland’s natural history, Indigenous culture, marine life, dinosaurs and modern science. Many exhibits are hands-on and educational, making it especially enjoyable for children and families. I have visited museums in multiple Australian cities, but this one stands out for its variety, presentation quality and the balance between learning and entertainment. The museum is clean, well-organised and free to enter, which makes it an excellent value. Staff members are friendly and helpful, and the layout is easy to navigate. There are also interactive zones, multimedia displays and live demonstrations that keep visitors engaged. What I love most is that the museum connects the past and present of Queensland in a meaningful way. It is not just a place to look at objects—it tells stories. Whether you enjoy history, science or culture, this museum offers a memorable and inspiring experience. To access it, reserve your preferred visit time online in advance and once you arrive, you'll be able to tour in a small group with a guide starting at the Clock Tower Entry located in the level 3. The museum guide will also provide a brief overview of Brisbane's history and surrounding area, making it a great destination for families with children.

This is a nice free museum on the third floor of city hall. I didn't expect much but I was really impressed. It was a nice mix of art, culture, and history. It was all handicap accessible and they gave warnings if things seemed potentially problematic (low light areas, sensitivity warnings, etc). There was a touch and explore section great for all ages including worksheets for kids. I especially liked when the exhibit descriptions had a "short read" summary at the bottom for those who don't have the time or language skills to absorb all the text. I did notice audio description and braille at certain points too. There's a free locker service for your bags and a nice gift shop. There are a variety of mediums including audio, video, objects and models, still images, dynamic images, and more. The only real thing I would complain about is the seating is kind of hit or miss. Some exhibits have barely any, some only have hard sharp benches, and some have nice comfortable chairs.

Nice museum in the city with free tour guides at alloted times. Our guide was especially friendly and bubbly which makes for a great experience, even as we learned about the horrors that still exists in the sculptures displayed above the city hall. There's also a tour that you can book to go up to the clock tower. Don't be throwing any coins down though

Beautiful place to visit, the museum is located on the 3rd level of CityHall. The place is not a huge as expected but very nice history of the City of Brisbane. It took me only 35 mins to see all of them.

Streets Beach is a man-made inner-city swimming beach located in South Bank, Brisbane. It offers a picturesque lagoon with palm-fringed sandy shores and clear blue waters, providing an amazing view of the city and the river. This popular tourist spot is also frequented by locals who enjoy its convenient location and easy access via public transport.
Such a great spot in th middle of Brisbane South bank. Swim around and admire the landscapes and skyscrapers, shallow, and deep pools available,as well as water play for the kids. Plenty of food options around and a life guard on duty everyday from 7-7 highly recommend!

Streets Beach at South Bank is one of Brisbane’s most iconic spots and a fantastic place to relax right in the heart of the city. What makes it so unique is the combination of a sparkling man-made lagoon with sandy beaches, surrounded by lush greenery and views of the Brisbane River and skyline. It truly feels like an urban oasis. The beach itself is beautifully maintained, with lifeguards on duty, making it safe for families with children. The shallow areas are perfect for kids to splash around, while adults can enjoy a refreshing swim or simply lounge on the sand. At night, the area lights up and feels just as magical. Another highlight is the location—being at South Bank means you’re only steps away from great restaurants, cafés, shops, and cultural attractions like QPAC and GOMA. Whether you want to grab an ice cream, have a picnic, or enjoy a riverside stroll, everything is close by. Clean amenities, plenty of shaded seating, and easy access by public transport make it even more convenient. Streets Beach is not just for tourists but a place locals love too. It’s the perfect blend of relaxation and city life.

Street Beach is truly a magical spot. Imported sand from the Gold Coast creates a sunny beach vibe right in the heart of the city, offering busy urban dwellers a chance to relax, soak up the sun, and splash in the water. Fantastic free beach/pool that is well monitored by lifeguards during the day. Well sign-posted for pool depth and is nice and clean. There are relatively cheap lockers and free changing rooms here.

It’s a MUST do when visiting the city whether you’re a family with kids, rolling solo or a loved up couple. The man made beach is outstanding and a great place to chill and relax. Our kids loved spending the day here. Plenty of places to eat near by ranging from uber expensive to good old Maccas.

Urban Xtreme in Brisbane offers a wide range of activities for teenagers, including rock climbing, parkour, trampolines, laser tag, and dodgeball. It is also home to Queensland's only indoor slopes for skiing and snowboarding. The facility caters to both beginners and experienced snow enthusiasts, providing an opportunity to learn up to 8 times faster than on real snow.
We love urban extreme, our go to play centre (traveling over an hour asks a half to get there). Plenty of tables, multiple options for kids with different preferences (ninja, trampoline, rock climbing, dodge ball, unlimited laser tag!!). Always super clean, seen the same staff here for years and not crazy loud and over simulating!! Great play option for the toddlers as well. Highly recommend!!

Urban Xtreme has heaps to do – skiing, climbing, trampolines, ninja and laser tag, all under one roof. The $10 extra hour deal (Hornets) is great value. Only thing I’d suggest is staff being a bit more on top of unruly kids in busy areas. Otherwise an awesome spot for families and parties.

We celebrated my Suns birthday at Urban Xtreme. Their app is user friendly. I managed to pick the menu and manage the RSVPs through the app. The day itself was beautiful. The kids played laser tag multiple times, did the ninja warrior and trampolines. This worked an appetite which was satisfied by good food. Thank you. We will be back.

We had a great experience at Urban Xtreme! We started the 10-session Ninja program last Thursday, and the first session was fantastic. It was very well-organized, the staff were friendly, and there are so many activities to choose from for kids of all ages. We’re excited to continue the program and look forward to coming back each week!

Took my grandkids (11, 12 and 3) for a 2-hour session over the school holidays and they all had a blast! The older two loved the Adventure Park with ninja courses, trampolines, dodgeball, parkour, launch jump and laser tag, while the youngest was kept busy in the Playland with the big tiger slide, climbing wall, jumping castle, trampoline and toddler area. There are some height/age restrictions, but it worked out well, plenty to keep them entertained and active. A great spot for families with kids of different ages. Recommend!
Dave J — Google review
We attended a few birthday parties which the kids always enjoy, but only recently met up with some friends for a play date here. The kids were all 5yrs old and were under the height limit for some of the courses but there was heaps to do still and they absolutely loved it! It’s a good location with plenty of parking, there’s food and drinks options, and clean facilities. There’s always visible staff doing the rounds to ensure safety which is appreciated! Will definitely be back!

We did the private ski lesson for our family today and had so much fun. Our instructor Chris was incredible and really engaged with our young kids during the activity to make them feel comfortable and confident. They absolutely loved it and can't wait to come back again. Huge thank you to Chris for his kindness and patience.
Tran L — Google review
Urban Xtreme in Brisbane feels completely neglected when it comes to the under-fives area. What’s meant to be a space for little ones is rundown, poorly maintained, and clearly an afterthought. Several parts of the play area are broken, and there’s next to nothing that actually entertains or engages children in this age range. It gives the impression that it hasn’t been properly cared for or updated in a long time. What’s worse, there’s an emergency exit with a low handle that opens straight into the car park — a serious safety hazard for toddlers. It’s shocking that this hasn’t been addressed. The bathroom facilities were also in poor condition — unclean, and out of five women’s toilets, only one had toilet paper. It really summed up the overall lack of attention and care across the venue. The staff seem undertrained and unable to manage even simple requests without waiting for a manager to step in, and the café food is inconsistent and low quality. The overall vibe is one of neglect and disorganisation rather than fun and family-friendly. And while the height limit may technically allow kids 7-10 yrs on the Ninja course, the reality is that most can’t even reach the equipment, making it more frustrating than enjoyable. For families with younger children, I strongly recommend choosing another venue. There are far better-maintained and genuinely child-friendly places in Brisbane that care about safety, hygiene, and engagement — all things Urban Xtreme seems to have forgotten.

Awesome. Am short of words - very well kept place, very safe, courteous staff and crew, well maintained go karts. Must visit even if you dont know how to drive. And above all, very economical and great value for money.

The karts were well-maintained, and the track was exciting and engaging. It was a great way to promote team bonding and enjoy some friendly competition. Highly recommend for groups looking for a fun and exhilarating activity!

I had an awesome time at Slideways Go Karting! The whole experience was smooth from start to finish — check-in was quick, the staff were super friendly and made sure everyone understood the safety briefing before hitting the track. The karts are fast and responsive, and the track itself is really well designed — plenty of corners to test your skills, a few great straights for speed, and that signature Slideways drift surface that makes every lap exciting. It’s a great mix of fun and challenge, whether you’re racing mates or just doing a solo session. Everything felt clean and well maintained, and they keep the races running efficiently so you don’t wait around too long. I also liked that they send you lap times afterwards, so you can compare and see how you did. Overall, it’s an awesome spot for a bit of adrenaline and competition. Definitely recommend for birthdays, group outings, or anyone who just loves the thrill of racing!

The friendly team at Slideways organised the best birthday party for my son and his friends! The staff went above and beyond, accommodating last-minute additions and ensuring that everyone had a fantastic time on the day. The safety on the track was paramount, all safety requirements were clearly explained, and the races were closely supervised and monitored. The boys had an amazing time driving the karts, and the parents enjoyed watching them race. We’ll definitely be returning to Slideways for more go-karting fun, and I highly recommend the centre. Thank you so much team for making my son’s birthday truly memorable!

The Slideways team were fantastic from start to finish, making the day run smoothly and keeping the energy high. The track was fast, the karts were top-notch, and the whole experience was incredibly well-run. Highly recommended for any team event or just a great day of fun! Will (construction manager)

This team deserves so much recognition for the kind and inclusive environment they’ve fostered for everyone - including kids with disabilities. 10/10 experience and we will absolutely be back. We booked in for the family session Thursday and booked 2 sessions each for myself and my 8 year old son. We came for the session yesterday and accidentally left after the first session, not realizing there was a break between the first and second sessions. The team were kind enough to give us a call and let us know we still had a second session to use, which we got a credit for. I believe any other venue would’ve just let that go but the team made sure we got our second session, even though it was my fault for leaving early. We came back today for our second session, and the kindness continued. My son has autism and adhd and really struggles in loud and new environments. We had never been before, so I expected my son to be anxious and nervous and possibly have a meltdown due to the helmets and balaclava over his face. I quietly let the staff member helping my son know that he has autism, only because of his sensory issues with things under or around his neck. We absolutely don't expect special treatment with his disabilities, however sometimes we have to let people know so they know my son isn't being rude or ignoring a person when they talk to him. The staff member I spoke to was so understanding and helpful, and didn't make a scene and made sure my son know he was included. The guy helping my son must have discreetly let the other team members know discretely so they could meet my son at his level for the tutorial when he was in the cart. The guy helping my son with the helmet then came back to me on the other end of the track, and respectfully let me know he told the staff member giving my son the tutorial about his autism, so the guy giving the trackside tutorial could explain things slowly and clearly to my son in a way he could understand and absorb. I didn’t have to worry about my son being on another part of the track to me, because the staff were so kind to him and inclusive. Usually my son would be very shy and cling to me in a new and loud environment but the staff made him feel so comfortable and included that he didn’t get spooked and he didn't need me by his side. When we left the session today, my son actually said to me “those guys were so nice to me, the one that helped me even waved to me every time I went past.” What an awesome team and big props to the guys on the track being such kind male role models in a world that my son struggles to experience kindness and understanding. Credit where credit is due, and your team should know the positive impact they’ve had on a kid who usually struggles so much. You guys are legends, and I am so grateful, thank you so much!

Nestled in the heart of Brisbane, the City Botanic Gardens is a captivating botanical haven that offers a diverse range of plant life, tranquil ponds, and inviting picnic areas. This verdant oasis serves as a living museum of botanical collections and provides an idyllic escape from the urban hustle and bustle. Visitors can explore manicured lawns, riverside pathways shaded by majestic fig trees, and charming ponds inhabited by ducks.
Peaceful escape right in Brisbane’s city centre 🌿📸 City Botanic Gardens is one of those places that instantly slows you down. The mix of riverside views, tall palm avenues, and giant fig trees makes it super photogenic — especially around sunrise or sunset when the light hits the water. I love coming here for a quiet walk, a jog, or to just sit under the trees and watch the city go by. The pathways are well-maintained, and there are plenty of open lawns perfect for picnics. Don’t miss the mangrove boardwalk — it’s a hidden gem and great for nature shots. There’s also a small café near the entrance if you want coffee with a view, and QUT and the ferry terminal are just a short walk away, so it’s really easy to get here.

Nice area for a walk right next to CBD although it did feel more like a park as opposed to a botanical garden. Lots of areas were also under maintenance or blocked out for improvements during our visit. The walking area next to the river is nice and calming, and overall the park in general does give you a little bit of that separation from city bustle. Public toilets available though I didn't go in to check condition. Free access.

Brisbane City Hall is a historic government building with a neoclassical facade that dates back to the early 20th century. The architecture combines elements from the Pantheon in Rome and the campanile belltower in Venice, making it a unique sight to behold. Visitors can take guided tours of the clock tower and explore the Museum of Brisbane on the third floor, which showcases local history from the city's founding to its present cosmopolitan status.
City Hall is beautiful and truly iconic. Inside and out I've always found there to be something magical about it. I've been to many events held here over the years from balls, to awards, voting even bridal expos and it's a very versatile space. The historical beauty is well presented and preserved. I've added a couple of photos from tonight when we took the kids in for the ever spectacular Christmas display. Honestly it gets better every year. My only gripe about it is the amount of dark harsh concrete in King George Square from the renovations they did years ago. It gets so hot in summer. I wish they would add some trees back to allow for some shade so you could take time to comfortably appreciate the area more. Otherwise it's lovely.

Had both my wedding ceremony (in the Windsor Room) and reception (in the Brisbane Room) held at this beautiful and majestic venue in March 2025. I liaised with Jacinta from EPICURE and she was so lovely, patient and empathetic throughout the whole process. From doing a venue tour, to a menu tasting after hours and up till the wedding day itself, she was nothing but accommodating. My vendors also mentioned how nice she was to work with. This venue offers many wedding packages that suit many budgets. There are a plethora of rooms to choose from. There are also many great photo locations for wedding portraits. My husband and I thought the packages were very reasonably priced and included many things not included in other venue packages. The food on the night was phenomenal. From the presentation to the taste, each course was artistically prepared. The proportions were great and the cake was plated with finesse. Just a minor thing to note if you do plan to book Brisbane City Hall as your wedding venue. They are a heritage-listed site, so no open-flames allowed (ie LED candles & tea lights only and no sparkulators) and nothing can be affixed to the walls and flooring to preserve the materials. As part of the contract, you will also need to take out indemnity insurance. In summary, I definitely recommend Brisbane City Hall as a wedding venue. The photos of the venue speak for themselves.

Explore the public and administrative spaces that comprise the seat of the Brisbane area government. In order to get the behind the scenes peak, it will be a good idea to sign up for the free guided tours. Walk back to the beginnings of the efforts to design, fund, and eventually the start of construction through the renovation work that resulted in the reopening of the storied building in 2013. Tours are comprised of about 14 people, so be sure to book early to make arrangements for larger groups. You may opt to online the clock tower tour if you haven't already done so in the past.
D.L. P — Google review
Brisbane City Hall anchors King George Square with its grand sandstone columns and soaring clock tower, a slice of Neoclassical elegance in the middle of the CBD. The foyer greets visitors with polished marble floors, bronze honour boards and a skylit dome that draws eyes upward before you have even collected a tour ticket. Free guided tours run several times a day and take you through the formal Council Chamber, past Art Deco stained-glass windows and into the circular auditorium where the heritage pipe organ still roars to life for lunchtime recitals. A separate lift whisks small groups to the clock tower viewing platform, 76 metres above the square. The original hand-operated lift rattles charmingly on the way up and the reward is a 360-degree sweep across the river bends, the Glasshouse Mountains on a clear day and the hive of commuter ferries below. Back at ground level, the Museum of Brisbane fills the former administrative offices with rotating exhibitions that explore everything from local First Nations stories to contemporary art and fashion. Entry is free and the volunteer guides are generous with anecdotes if you linger by an object. Practicalities are thoughtful. Book clock tower tickets online or grab a timed pass early in the day; they disappear quickly on weekends and school holidays. Wide ramps and lifts make the building accessible, lockers sit beside the museum entrance for bags, and a relaxed café in the adjoining arcade offers coffee and light meals without tourist-tax pricing. TransLink buses and the Queen Street Mall light-rail stop sit within a block, making the visit easy without a car. Whether you come for the architecture, the city views or a dose of local history between meetings, Brisbane City Hall delivers a satisfying blend of civic pride and welcoming public space.

Nestled in the Samford Valley, just 30 minutes from Brisbane CBD, Lyell Deer Sanctuary is a peaceful refuge for rescued deer. For over 30 years, this whimsical location has provided a serene environment for Red, Rusa, and Fallow Deer. Unlike larger farms, the sanctuary offers an intimate experience where visitors can hand-feed and interact with the gentle inhabitants. It's also a popular spot for small weddings and elopements due to its rustic charm.
Absolutely LOVE this place! So good and can be enjoyed solo, with a partner, and it’s especially fun with the family. Very kid friendly with lots to do and lots of space so it didn’t get or feel crowded. Apart from the awesome variety of deers to befriend and feed, you’ll come across other animals like peacocks, Guinea pigs, goats, cows and chickens. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to regularly 😁

Such a peaceful backyard animal sanctuary! Owner is a lovely lady who.rescues deers and not for profit. Price for entry is cheap and you can tell they spend most time in looking after the animals rather than opening a cafe or food stall for money on the weekend. I got to.see the 8 week old baby deer getting bottle fed . so cute. I absolutely recommend this place. come and support them!

We took a day trip out to the Lyell Deer Sanctuary recently, and while the drive was quite long, the beautiful views on the way made the journey worth it. It’s a perfect option if you're looking for a quick nature fix outside of the city! The sanctuary itself is small but mighty. We were able to finish our full exploration, which included feeding the deer, in about 20 minutes. While it's a short stop, it offers wonderful sanctuary and rejuvenation—a lovely chance to slow down and enjoy the peaceful animals. We happened upon a very busy day, which surprised us at first; we thought we’d found a quiet local gem! It seems the crowds were mainly due to school holidays, so be prepared for a lively atmosphere if you visit during peak times. Overall, it's a fun, quick spot. I would highly recommend combining it with a hike or other errands in the area to make the drive worthwhile. It’s definitely a great little getaway, especially if you have kids who want to feed the deer. Don't expect a full-day event, but do expect some adorable deer and a relaxing break from city life!

Lovely sanctuary for deer and their friends. The drive out from Brisbane was picturesque and we didn’t feel rushed when we got to the sanctuary. The lady we met at the sanctuary was warm and welcoming and we met the sanctuary’s sheep as well. So many personalities amongst the deer so learned quickly which ones don’t want a bar of you and which ones still want to check if you have food, lol. If you have little ones, make sure they’re somewhat agile as the ground can be uneven and angled/slopes in some areas. There was also an area you could sit if wanting to eat your packed lunch on site.

We had an absolutely wonderful time coming here today. The people who run it are so lovely and it was nice to get away from our busy work weeks to come slow down and appreciate some super cute wildlife. For such a small price you get to enjoy the views, pet some very cuddly looking deer and feed them and a few of their other animals friends. So beautiful seeing the full antlers on one. We even sat down to feed and hold some little Guinea pigs. Thankyou for the great experience and for caring for the animals 🤍

Victoria Park is a golf lover's paradise, featuring an expansive 18-hole course, a driving range, and even a mini-golf course. The undulating greens are open to all without the need for membership. Visitors can enjoy a round of golf for varying rates depending on the day of the week. Additionally, the park offers a family-friendly bistro with a seasonal menu and an alfresco setting perfect for enjoying views of the lush parkland and city skyline.
I had the pleasure of being able to have my wedding at Victoria park a month ago. It exceeded expectations. Right from the get go I had amazing communication from the wedding team at Victoria park, fast replies and being able to give me in depth information. I was out so at ease, they took care of most of the hard work for me and brought my vision to life. I’m so grateful for the amazing staff prior to the wedding and even more the staff on my wedding night! They were a ball of fun and looked after us so well. I didn’t even have to put in my drink order as soon as he saw me coming it was made up every time. The golf buggy was such a fun ride and the 2 drivers made it such a fun experience going off to our photos. The food was incredible. It was such a stress free, amazing time.

Visited on 16/05/2025 at 9:30 PM. While we tried to make the best of our time, our experience was negatively affected by the unprofessional conduct of the staff on duty. As first-time visitors, we explained that we were unfamiliar with how to play and kindly asked for instructions. Unfortunately, the young staff members laughed at our confusion instead of offering assistance. We were not provided basic materials like a scorecard or pen, which other groups had received, and there were no clear signs or instructions to follow. We had to observe others to understand how to play and keep score, which made the experience feel unwelcoming and poorly managed. Due to this disappointing level of service, we do not plan to return and will be making sure to let our community know of our experience here.

Amazing in-city public golf course. Exceptionally convenient location, plentiful parking (as long as you're prepared to walk a little distance and there were no special events), well-maintained grassland, great coaches and friendly staff. High tech equipment that track your hit and give you useful statistics.

I had the chance to visit Victoria Park Golf Driving Range in Herston, and I must say it’s one of Brisbane’s most unique inner-city spots for golf, fun, and relaxation. The location itself is perfect—just minutes from the CBD with plenty of free parking. As soon as you arrive, the setup feels impressive: a massive two-level driving range with more than 50 all-weather bays, all fitted with Toptracer technology. It’s not just about hitting balls; you can track your shots, play virtual courses, or challenge friends with fun games like long-drive contests and closest-to-the-pin. What really stands out is the atmosphere. Whether you’re a serious golfer working on your swing or just there for a social outing, it’s welcoming and relaxed. The Sip & Swing lounges are a fantastic option for groups—you get your own bay, unlimited balls, club hire, and food or drinks delivered straight to you. Perfect for parties, casual catch-ups, or even corporate events. The range is open day and night, and hitting under the floodlights with the Brisbane skyline views in the background is an experience on its own. There’s also an 18-hole mini golf course, a modern bistro and bar, and even a kids’ playground, so it’s not just for golfers—it’s a whole day or night out. Prices are reasonable considering the location and facilities. Buckets of balls start from around $19, and Sip & Swing packages are well worth it if you’re going with a group. If I had to mention a couple of small things—on busy weekend nights it does get packed, so booking ahead or visiting during the day is a smart idea. A few people also point out that the range balls aren’t always premium, but honestly, the fun and tech more than make up for it. Overall, Victoria Park Driving Range is more than just a golfing spot—it’s a vibrant, social, and family-friendly destination. Whether you’re a local, a tourist, or just looking for something different to do in Brisbane, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Nice range and as a bonus the technology makes it fun but also easy to review your shots. Large store ranging from clubs, accesories and merch. Grip change service and free mini putting green inside.

Been here for functions, putt putt and the bistro. As long as you get in at a reasonable time to grab a park it's great. Not too far to walk from any parking area. We thoroughly enjoyed joining in for the Halloween putt putt recently.

Really good driving range, awesome bistro attached, great mini golf. The only down side is how busy it gets but that’s to be expected with a place that’s situated itself well. It’s great having the membership for cheaper buckets. The training is good here too, will always be a good local spot

Absolute banger of a spot! Great for a date night with mini golf and even better to take the boys to the driving range and have a swing. Also busy but never too crowded. I would recommend coming here if you want something a little different.

Iceworld Olympic Ice Rinks, with locations in Boondall and Acacia Ridge, offer a variety of public skating sessions, some extending into the late evening. The rinks provide well-maintained and smooth ice surfaces for a seamless skating experience. Visitors can rent high-quality skates suitable for all ages and skill levels. The friendly staff ensures a clean and tidy environment, complemented by enjoyable music and lighting.
A visit to memories of Canada. It was great that skate rentals are included in the price. Staff were helpful and very customer friendly. Cafe inside offered many items to warm you up after the blast into cold. If you go with a young inexperienced skater I highly recommend renting the penguin skate assistant.

Such a great spot to take the kids during the school holidays! Definitely book online, it’s cheaper (10% off) and you’re guaranteed a spot. The family pass for $99 is a good deal too. General Skater: $32.50 (+15 yo) Junior Skater: $27.00 Tiny Tots Skater: $14.50 Family pass costs $99 (admits 2 General skaters and 2 Juniors) Really impressed that they now provide helmets and hair nets for hygiene, and there’s plenty of bench space to get skates on. Love that the café is right inside so parents can sit back with a coffee and still see the kids through the windows. Toilets are clean and even have a female hygiene dispenser — nice touch! The online booking system is way better now, staff are super friendly and quick to help if someone takes a tumble. Parking is generally fine, though not much shade. Also, the hot chips could be a bit fresher — ours had clearly been sitting for a while. All in all, we had an awesome time! Great vibe, friendly staff, and a fun way to cool off when it’s hot outside. We’ll definitely be back! ⛸️☕❄️

Our 7yo was fortunate to receive a voucher for her birthday and attended with a friend on a Sunday - it has been the highlight of her life! It was beautiful and cold there, with quick service for entry, getting skates and taking a 'penguin' to push and learn to skate with. Staff were always on hand on the ice when she took a tumble, and she had this beaming smile the whole 1.5 hours. At the end we brought a hot chips and nuggets combo - the food was suprisingly fresh, tasty, and affordable. Highly recommend. I wish I went skating with her because it was her first experience on the ice. It was exciting seeing people who also knew how to skate taking the ice. Great family atmosphere. Ample parking. Take your cool-weather clothes in a bag during summer. Worth it! Now need to take the rest of the family...

I just wanted to update the review from the one below. 18 months on and I can't speak highly enough of the coaches and staff. They are absolutely wonderful! Fantastic with kids, caring, happy, accommodating and great at explaining things! My daughter is continuing to love her ice skating lessons and has grown so much in confidence and the amount of things she can do. If you are thinking of taking lessons or your kid doing lessons, do it! My 4 year old daughter does ice skating lessons here. The coaches are absolutely wonderful with the kids. They are really good with positive reinforcement. My daughter has learnt quicker than I expected. The food is great and so is the hot chocolate.

I had a lot of fun. Large rink with good ice. Rental skates were good quality but they no longer rent out hockey skates. I ended up tripping on the toe brake of the rental figure skates and hurt my ribs. Hockey skates are much safer.

Had a blast at the rink, took the 7&8yo for their first time. Very well kept, plenty of penguins to help lil ones & organised with games too. Only negative is i wish they had lockers for safe keeping of items.

My friend and I had a lot of fun at Cheap Skate night! Even though there was a good crowd in we had plenty of room to move on the ice and never felt hemmed in. There was a good mix of both beginners and experienced skaters there and everyone was friendly. The penguins for the kids is a great idea! And the coffee from the cafe was really good too! A wonderful experience and we will definitely be back soon 😊

The Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) is a contemporary art museum located in a modern riverside building in Brisbane, Australia. Established in 2006 as an extension of the Queensland Art Gallery, GOMA has quickly gained recognition as one of the largest modern and contemporary art galleries in Australia.
Had the pleasure of visiting the Gallery of Modern Act this afternoon. The venue is outstanding and so well maintained. There are 4 levels of exhibitions and they are all modern and contemporary. It is appropriate because there are exhibitions that challenge modern ideas and social norms. Thank you to everyone who is involved in the management and services provided at the Gallery. If you haven't visited, do yourself a favour and come experience the excellence here.

Good place to visit on weekend going out. It was free to see art exhibitions. This is next normal art museum. And also near Queensland library . It is very nice area and enjoyable. I visited both. It took around 3 hours total . 10mins from Brisbane south station. I visited with my family. Quiet and quality arts . Also there are nice cafe. If you don’t like noisy place , here is calm and quiet and makes you feel relax and enjoyable.

Wonderful place to visit. Knowledgeable and friendly experts to guide you through individual sections of the gallery. A carefully selected art work both domestic and international. I particularly appreciate the indigenous artists creation, beautiful and meaningful. The cafe wasn't too bad either, delicious toasted sandwich with a bunch of different food to cater for different dietary requirements. Definitely, worth a visit here.

The Gallery of Modern Art offers a wonderful chance to see the world through the eyes of different artists — a perfect place to slow down and reflect on life. What touched me most was an artwork tracing a family tree that reminded us that, thousands of years ago, we were all connected as one big family. It made me wonder — why do we still create so many divisions between races today?

I first thought the Story Bridge had a special story behind its name — turns out, the bridge is the story! It looks completely different by day and night. In the daytime, its steel structure stands tall and impressive; by night, the lights and the lively atmosphere from nearby bars and restaurants bring it to life. Walking across it, we each ended up with our own little “story” to tell!

The best place to hold the Brisbane Comedy Festival. Great restaurant, great bar and fantastic venues. I just don't like the clipped together small seats they use. We have visited Brisbane Powerhouse quite a couple of times and recently came to know the history of it which is fascinating. Last week I visited the World Press Photography Exhibition which left me speechless about the level of nuisance we are in in the name of humankind which is setting back us an intelligent species. The ohotographies were so powerful and spoke a lot of stories about the conditions of the conflicts we are going through in the planet. Thanks team for bringing this up in the exhibition. Also it hosts a number of other exhibitions and music shows etc , it's really a powerhouse of cultural programs.

Queen Street Mall is a bustling pedestrian strip in the heart of Brisbane's Central Business District, attracting over 25 million visitors annually. It features a diverse range of shops, from department stores to trendy boutiques, spread across renowned arcades like Wintergarden and Brisbane Arcade. Additionally, the nearby Eat Street Markets at Hamilton's North Shore offer an array of street food, cocktails, arts and crafts within colorful shipping containers.
Such a vibrant and happening place! It’s full of different cultures, street performers, musicians, and something new going on every day. I loved the energy here. Queen Street Mall is the heart of Brisbane’s shopping, dining and entertainment scene, and one of the most vibrant pedestrian malls in Australia. Stretching through the city centre, it features over 700 retailers including international brands, Australian fashion labels, department stores, luxury boutiques and specialty shops. Whether you love fashion, beauty, technology or souvenirs, you can find everything in one place. The mall also offers a wide range of cafés, dessert shops, restaurants and bars, from casual bites to stylish dining experiences. Street performers, live music and seasonal events bring constant energy to the area, making it lively day and night. With plenty of seating, shade and open spaces, it is a great spot to relax, meet friends or people-watch. Queen Street Mall is not just a shopping street—it is a cultural and social hub. Nearby, you can easily access Brisbane City Hall, Treasury Casino, the riverfront and public transport. The mall is clean, safe and pedestrian-friendly, attracting both locals and tourists. Although many Australian cities have shopping precincts, Queen Street Mall is truly one of the best and most iconic. I have visited many shopping centres across Australia, but this one has the most atmosphere, variety and convenience. It perfectly combines retail, food, entertainment and city lifestyle in one unforgettable location. If you’re in Brisbane, Queen Street Mall is a must-visit destination.

Its a really cool space with lots of shops and events. However not a good spot to go if you're disabled or struggle with accessiblilty. I am sure there must be elevators and ground floor bathrooms somewhere but they are poorly marked (if at all) and none of the shopkeepers I asked knew where any were. I had to go way across to the public library just to use the bathroom and I never did find a way to the many shops only available by stairs or escalators. If you have a disability please make time to check in advance where the elevators and bathrooms are. I was late to an event because of it and wish I had checked in advance or budgeted in more time to look. I just didn't anticipate they wouldn't be clearly marked. There are escalators for some places if you can use those but not all.

Whether you're there for a morning jog, sunset walk, or a quiet moment of reflection, the atmosphere is peaceful and inspiring. A must-visit spot in Brisbane for both locals and visitors. Always clean, safe, and well-maintained. It's truly one of the city’s gems!

Beautiful spot for a stroll & picnic. Plenty of bench seats along the way, but we couldn't find tables. No matter, we enjoyed our lunch anyway! We found it difficult to access with our elderly friend, having to walk a loooooong way before we could find a ramp to walk up, but she made it. I'm sure there must be better access points, but we didn't have time to drive around & find out! Fabulous views across the river, looking at the city.

One of the best spots in Brisbane to relax, walk, or just take in the city. The views across the river to the CBD are absolutely stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset when the light hits the skyline. It’s also a really versatile area — you’ll see people rock climbing, jogging, cycling, or simply enjoying the outdoors. At night the cliffs are beautifully lit and feel safe to stroll around. Parking can be a little limited during busy times, and it’s a popular spot on weekends, but it’s worth it for the atmosphere and the view. Overall, a must-visit whether you’re a local or just visiting Brisbane🫶🏾

Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park is one of the most stunning and unique places in Brisbane. Located right beside the Brisbane River, this park offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline, Story Bridge and the water. I have visited many riverfront areas in Australia, but the view from this park is easily the best—especially during sunset and at night when the city lights up. The walking path along the river is clean, wide and perfect for jogging, cycling or a relaxing stroll. There are plenty of benches, picnic tables and BBQ areas, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or enjoy a quiet moment. The famous red steel human sculptures add an artistic touch and make the walk even more memorable. One thing I loved is how peaceful yet lively the park feels. You’ll see locals exercising, tourists taking photos and even people rock climbing on the cliffs. The combination of nature, river, city views and activities makes this park truly special. Whether you come in the morning for fresh air or in the evening for the most beautiful sunset in Brisbane, Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park is absolutely a must-visit. If you want the best skyline view in the city, this is the place to go.

The Abbey Museum of Art & Archaeology, located in Caboolture north of Brisbane, is a captivating history museum that opened in 1986. It houses an impressive collection of art and artifacts from various periods spanning prehistory to the 19th century. Visitors can explore a diverse range of items such as prehistoric tools, ceramics, stained glass, metalwork, woodwork, sculptures, manuscripts, rare books, paintings and more.
I am an international student visiting here because I like medieval history. In fact, the exhibits here are not rich, and it is not free to visit. But it does have a lot of character, and the gifts are interesting. I majored in education and minored in history, so I think that this museum may be suitable for children to learn history.

This is a worthwhile outing in the school holidays - the education programs on offer cater to a range of interests. We participated in the archaeological dig, archery, shield painting and rune carving. The people facilitating the sessions do a great job at engaging the children - their enthusiasm really shines! There's a lovely cafe onsite and museum gift shop with a nice collection of items. I appreciated the museum's displays - particularly the new religious artworks section.

I am somewhat biased but to be honest, but it is an excellent local museum that punches well above its weight. It has rare peices that would be envied by some of the major museums. Their education programs are excellent for schools and holidays. They also have excellent public lectures and I have never seen an ordinary one. In their cafe I can recommend their scones both for taste and value for money. If I could give 6 stars for that one I would!

A little Gem of international history (actually athousand plus pieces) have had an addition, opened this Saturday afternoon. The much anticipated Gallery and redesigned entry has boosted this iconic and eclectic collection right up there with world museums.Maybe not that huge or expansive as the big boys the collection has its uniqueness in pieces that give a very nice snapshot of history, both local and world.Well worth a half day visit with coffee and snacks plus the required trinkets of takeaway memories.Or, come during the annual Medieval Tournament/Festival (midyear) and also enjoy a couple of days with jousting, battles, exhibitions and ancient living and the museum can be a quiet respite before more revelry of Medieval times.Enjoy, but book early on site and view the collection of photos they have there also.

Fortress
Fort Lytton National Park is a historical site featuring a 19th-century fort and surrounding park, offering guided tours and history-oriented shows. The coastal fortification, built in 1881, served as Brisbane's first line of defense until the 1930s and is considered the birthplace of Queensland's military history. Visitors can explore rooms, tunnels, passages, cannons, grassy knolls, and military equipment while learning about the area's colonial defense.
Unknown Brisbane gem! Have lived in Brisbane most of my life and had never heard of Fort Lytton. Great for a visit, extensive fortifications, history, small but dense museum or two, views of the river, friendly and enthusiastic guides / volunteers and all free (donations welcome). Open Sundays at 10am as of February 2025.

Hidden gem, a must visit. Free for all, plenty of parking, very informative, great interaction from knowledgeable staff. There is something magical about this place, takes you back in time. Plenty to see, explore and learn. Will definitely come again and bring along friends.

Have wanted to visit here with my family for a long time and it was a great experience. Wasn’t too busy so could get around to see everything really easily Next time would love to do the guided tour The volunteers are amazing and so friendly and welcoming This is a big part of the history of Brisbane and needs to be preserved for generations

Volunteers are friendly and beautiful historic sight and river view. It’s a nice Sunday walk and free experience. There are guided tours until 1:45pm. Museum displays and videos you can watch. Picturesque and there is a picnic area and access to the river.

Nikon D750 - 24-70mm & 70mm to 300mm This is the place to go. Open Sundays from 10am to 5pm and run exclusively by elderly volunteers, this is TRUELY one of Brisbane's, if not Queensland's hidden gems. Such an incredible place, landscape and snapshot of the history of Brisbane. If you are free on a sunday, pop down for a guided tour or explore the place as a public visitor. Just take a look at some of the photos I was able to take, and that's not even it. Perfect place to take kids, they even have a small restaurant serving refreshments.

The Jungle Adventure Play in Tingalpa is a paradise for kids and families, offering an exhilarating experience that caters to all ages. From a dedicated junior playground for toddlers to an expansive 800 square meters of fun for children aged two to eight, there's something for everyone. Older kids can challenge themselves with thrilling attractions like a seven-meter high free fall tower, a high ropes course, climbing walls, and even a ninja warrior course.
I would highly recommend to kids older than 6 years old. If they love to climb up and jump off from high spots. The slides are great for them and it’s good place for birthday parties. Also the foods were great values and I love their pizzas the best! Obviously my kids are young and they only played in the toddler area which is pretty small but enough for them. Happy to be back in the future 😊

We had such an amazing time at Jungle Adventure in Tingalpa! Even though it was really quiet when we went, Blake (one of the staff members) made the whole experience unforgettable. He interacted with us the entire time, kept the kids engaged, and made sure they had heaps of fun. It was a great experience all around, and I can’t thank Blake enough for making it so special. Highly recommend Jungle Adventure, especially if you get Blake looking after you and your family.

We’re visiting from Melbourne on holiday, and this place is amazing! My 10-year-old had so much fun — such an awesome experience! Wish we had something like this back home in Melbourne.
Jill C — Google review
Plenty of seating, staff were friendly, food options were good. Clean and felt safe enough for the kids. The quality of the socks are terrible though. First time wearing their pair, went down the steep slide twice and melted a hole in the heel, and I wasn't trying to slow myself down either - just not good quality. So much for "specially designed socks". Apart from that, the experience for my kids was awesome. Wouldn't mind replacement socks though...

We went a year ago and loved it, but as my son was very young I went around the climbing frame with him, and what a workout that was. But now my son is just about to turn four and this time he had so much fun! He ran around for over 2 1/2 hours giving my husband and myself a nice break with coffee and the bread with beetroot and hummus dip (so well worth it). The first three photos were when he was younger the last one is when we had to search for him as he was having so much fun. Great day out and planing to go back for his fourth birthday with one of his friends so he can run around with his buddy.
Heidi T — Google review
This place is pretty good. My son is only 4, but he had a great time. It seems to be less busy if you go late afternoon. The only real negative feedback I have is that they make you buy their socks. I would build the socks into the cost of entry, remove the negative feeling of having no choice but to buy their socks. Other than that, there was no issues.
Adam C — Google review
First time visiting, took my 11 month old daughter. 0-2 area has several children who were 5+ running around with outdoor shoes on. There were no staff around monitoring the area. Tables and high chairs had fluid over many and were also sticky and in need of cleaning. We lasted no more than 30mins as the larger kids were scaring my baby. The area itself is very small and basic with actually very limited accessibility to children that are not walking yet or with an ability to climb of a 2 year old. Would not recommend for any younger than 2. Very disappointing, won't be returning.

Bluey’s World Brisbane is an enchanting destination located at the Northshore Pavilion, where fans of the beloved animated series can step into a vibrant and interactive recreation of Bluey's universe. This immersive experience invites visitors to explore the iconic Queenslander home, backyard, and other familiar settings from the show. As you wander through beautifully crafted rooms filled with delightful surprises, you'll find yourself engaged in interactive games alongside Bluey, Bingo, Mum, and Dad.
A fabulous family destination with lots of interactivity. Allow at least 2-3 hours...including (the recommended wee safety stop at the start, before entering the main building next to the entrance) and food/ beverages and play centre at the finish - post merch store. The tour takes approximately an hour. The kids loved it (6 & 4 yrs). At $65.00 pp, from anyone over 2 years old, it's expensive. No food or drinks can be taken in and the Cafe isn't cheap. The purchased photo was hideously yellowish and at $20.00 for a 6 x 4, it was disappointing. But, as a special treat...a lovely afternoon out. 🙌
Rhonda B — Google review
Pretty sad that parents feel the need to stand in front of toddlers. My toddler is a very small 18 months old, she was constantly pushed to the back of the line when entering rooms and had 1 older couple (with no children) constantly stand right in front of her. By the time we got into the room they were already moving on to the next so we missed out on the whole bedroom scene. I made a comment that adults should be made to stand at the back when things are being shown but nothing was done, we travelled 4 hours for this. Otherwise, it was great fun to look inside the Bluey house. I think the prices for everything were very reasonable.
Emily — Google review
Bluey's World is almost exclusively geared toward young children, specifically those under the age of 7. The day we attended was very quiet, with few visitors. The highlight is the interactive guided tour where kids (and adults) are encouraged to help the guide and the 'Gnome' character search for Bingo's toy in various themed rooms. However, be aware that no personal photos or video are permitted inside the main tour rooms. The experience concludes with a photo opportunity with Bluey and Bingo. This official photo is the only one you can take with the characters and must be purchased separately at the kiosk located in the cafeteria/playroom area.

It was amazing! My 3 year old loved meeting Bluey and bingo in real life. It was well planned and interactive, definitely best for 3 and up. To prepare I recommend watching chicken egg, bob bilby, takeaway, wagon ride, grannies, the creek, dance mode, sleepytime, quiet game, unicorse, cubby, and cafe. There are so many references!
Bonnie W — Google review
This is not an amusement park experience. Each group is led through a series of rooms made to look like the different rooms from Bluey’s house, by a group of fairies (which I have never seen in the cartoons). While not the experience I expected, the kids seemed to have an ok time. Tickets were A$64 a person. Children under 2 are free.
Jonathan L — Google review
No photo in the house seems disappointing at the start, but then you realise how great that is. You don’t have strangers taking photos of your kids and you can just enjoy the magic with your family. We really enjoyed it and watching Bluey feels even more special. Well done guys! It’s great. Especially loved all the well thought out details that make us all adore and love the show.
S P — Google review
A great family day out. Well worth the money. My 3 year old had a great time as did my wife and I. I see a lot of complaints about the fairies going on too long, feeling rushed and the no photo policy. The fairy is there to get kids excited, which they do a great job of. It feels rushed becuase it is for kids and they need to keep them engaged in the activities. Keeping them for an hours is a great feat and done really well. No photos is GREAT! It keeps it all moving. You aren't waiting for people to get pictures and stopping all the time. Everyone is just enjoying themselves. The scenes are great. Really high production value. Everything looks great and feels well made and really fun. Do I wish we had more time in the house, yes, BUT my son was kept engaged the whole time and focused on the whole thing because they kept it moving. The free play at the end was fun. A little Bluey style park with the usual slid etc. Food was good and good value. Gift shop has a great range of toys etc. Yes expensive but no more then you'd expect. All in all a great experience thay we will never forget. Had the best day ever!

The Children's Art Centre provides interactive artworks for kids while the Australian Cinematheque showcases films from around the world.

So there are 3 different stores in QAGOMA and 2 of them have the nicest dedicated employees ever. But a salesperson at this one (attached a picture), a young woman, is really grumpy and rude. 2/10 artworks are amazing....rest of the artworks are worse than what a 6 year old can do.....the curating is the worst and the curators must be high on ice or meth when they select them.....the least inspiring place for an artist... im surprised when the gallery pays for blank canvases ... it puts really hard working artists to shame..... I need my 22 dollars and 2 hours back in my life.....the problem is that people don't speak up how bad the artworks are and that's why they are being exhibited...on one side there are amazing renissance and 19th century artworks that are crafted to perfection and then there are artworks done by lazy artists...

Located in a waterside complex, the Queensland Maritime Museum offers visitors the chance to explore historic vessels and view photographs, artifacts, and models. One of its main attractions is the river class frigate HMAS Diamantina, which was built in Maryborough and launched in 1944. Visitors can tour the warship's engine room, crew rooms, galleys, showers, engineers' rooms, and surgeons' rooms.
This museum is one of the most interesting I’ve ever visited. Having the chance to step inside, see, and even touch the Diamantina, and it was truly exciting. The entire museum is full with information that can easily spark the interest of anyone—even someone like me who ended up there more or less by chance. If you’re in Brisbane, I highly recommend stopping by! You won’t regret it!

I had the absolute pleasure along with fellow members from the Carseldine Probus Club of visiting the Queensland Maritime Museum at 412 Stanley St,South Brisbane QLD 4101 Keith Boulton OAM, who is QMM Historical Walk Convener, conducts Historical Walks through the Maritime Museum and along the Brisbane River and through areas of South Bank Parklands. Keith, along with Robyn, who is a long-time volunteer, took us for a very relaxing and informative 2-hour walk explaining in detail the history of the ever changing face the Brisbane River and South Brisbane It was wonderful as Keith and Robyn took us back in time of what it was like work on Shore with the railway running in the area where the Maritime Museum is located. There was a lot of production from several flour mills that were in South Brisbane. Coal was brought by rail from areas like Ipswich, ensuring that everyone was gainfully employed. The Brisbane River was busy with shipping, taking produce to various areas along the coastline of Queensland and beyond. Our walk also took us into the South Bank Parklands, whereas we know Expo 88 was enjoyed by millions of people attending this game-changing event. It definitely put Brisbane and Queensland on the map. After the walk was completed, we then had the opportunity to board the HMAS Diamantina, a warship that is located in the dry dock in the Maritime Museum along with the lugger Penguin this vessel is also located in the same location. You definitely need time to enjoy going through HMAS Diamantina. A lot of budding sailors would get a first-time look at what people had to live with during World War 2 and beyond. A lot of time and effort has been carried out by dedicated volunteers to maintain this ship for visitors to enjoy their time walking everywhere on this warship. Another wonderful highlight is looking at Jessica Watson's yacht, the Pink Lady, Jessica is renowned for performing a major solo event over 16 years ago. The Queensland Maritime Museum is opened most days of the week except Monday and Tuesdays, and visiting hours are between 10.00 am. and 4.15 pm. I would highly recommend anyone wanting something to do when visiting South Brisbane spend time at the Queensland Maritime Museum and taking advantage of going on a historic walk with Keith Boulton or one of the dedicated volunteers.

The staff were very warm and hospitable, introducing the museum to visitors and even offering free postcards as souvenirs. Many of the small items on sale were also rich in cultural significance. Although I did not have time to enter the museum on this occasion, the place left a deep impression on me. Next time I come to Brisbane, I will definitely make sure to visit.

Visited there on Saturday afternoon 1 Nov 2025. Disappointed that we were asked to leave early at 3:15pm as the staff wanted to go home early. No refund (or partial refund) was given. I understood there was a thunderstorm and the outdoor area was temporarily closed due to safety. We followed their instructions and waited indoor for the storm to pass. After the storm, we were about to get ready to see the outdoor exhibits, but got asked to leave as they wanted to shut early for the day - a bit frustrating! Having said that, I should give more grace as they were all volunteers.

Located on Petrie Terrace, Brisbane Arts Theatre has been a staple of community theatre in Queensland since 1961. The intimate 151-seat venue hosts a year-round season of shows for both adults and children, along with workshops in performance and musical theatre. The theater also offers open auditions for many productions, providing opportunities for newcomers to enter the performing arts scene. With its licensed bar and outdoor courtyard available for functions, it's an ideal spot for corporate events or fundraising activities.
Lovely theatre and a wonderful performance! We loved that the cast were able to use the whole space of the theatre; aisle, spare seats, using the audience as props/part of the story. The performance was of high quality, from the cast to the props, and it was absolutely wonderful for the children to meet the cast afterwards and get their "autographs". There's a great seating area outside, next to the shop which serves snacks and drinks. We are keeping our eyes peeled for the next performance we can attend!

Attended a wedding event here. If you’re thinking of planning a wedding, this is definitely a good venue to consider. It has a reception area. A dining area. Plenty of outdoor room for guests. A bar area and toilets. The views of the forest and the fresh air make this place feel very attuned to nature. It would be best suited for small to medium sized events. You’ll have to check with the venue on what their maximum occupancy is, but as a guess I think 50 people could work for this space. Keep in mind, that’s my estimation, not an exact figure!

Wetlands by their very nature are flat and so the walking and cycling trails you can find here are easy. There are only two marked tracks: one circuit made for walking that takes you up to where Cabbage Tree Creek and Nundah Creek meet, and another longer one that's also suitable for cycling that goes as far as Nudgee Road. In a relatively small area you can find such a variety of fauna and flora here. However, there's an elephant in the room... the Gateway Motorway. It's a busy and noisy thoroughfare and is adjacent to these wetlands. Unfortunately, it serves as a constant reminder that you haven't escaped the city.

This place is amazing! Very pretty and well cared for grounds. There is a children's bush kindy class and other fun things for all ages. However, the paths are dominated by a few very aggressive bike riders which makes for a stressful walk with people that are not laser focused on their surrounds. Definitely worth checking it out, perhaps you will enjoy it more being a cyclists

Summer Land Camels, located in Harrisville, is a unique destination offering a range of dairy and skincare products made from camel milk. Visitors can enjoy farm tours, camel rides, and learn about Australia's camel history. The farm cafe serves delicious camel concoctions using local produce against the backdrop of stunning scenery. The friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere make it a must-visit stopover for an informative and interesting experience with camels.
Interesting to learn more about the camel farm and recommend doing the tour to go behind the scenes. We also were lucky and a baby camel had just been born in the last 30mins and was trying to take its first steps. The camel milk, salami and sausage rolls are also very tasty! Plenty of free parking.
Kristie P — Google review
We went for the junior farmer day. The kids could not stop talking about the camels and wanting to come back again. They had a fantastic day. The pricing was really reasonable. They got to feed the camels and ride camels, Queenie and Little nugget. We had a tour of the farm and saw all the baby camels. There were also other activities for the kids like face painting, plaster painting and jewelry making and they were all extremely reasonably priced which made it a really perfect day.

I really enjoy my visit at Summer Land Camel Farm 🐪✨ Camel riding was very fun and special, also I can feed the camels and take many nice photos. The farm has many activities to do and the car park is big, very easy and comfortable. I also try the camel milk café 🥛☕, the drinks are fresh, smooth and delicious. The café has cake, snack and also products from camel milk like skincare and vodka, very interesting. It is a good place for family, couple or friends to spend time together. Relaxing, fun and different experience. I recommend this place!

My wife, two of our daughters, granddaughter and l went out so that myself, one of our daughters and granddaughter could do the 40 minute camel ride. My wife said it was the most she had ever paid for a coffee. You have the option of cow or camel milk in your coffee. She also had a scone baked with camel milk, however, was not a fan. I thought $70 for a 40 minute camel ride was a little excessive. But it has now been ticked off the bucket list. The camel ride was very peaceful and the staff gave you some history of the camels in Australia, along with some facts about the humble camel. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
K M — Google review
There were many camel or camel themed products like cupcakes, ice cream, lattes, nachos, sausages, and cheese. It was a great experience to see, touch, ride, and feed camels up close. It was enjoyable and a place where both kids and adults can have fun.

Enjoyed the camel milk and brunch, tasty and reasonably priced. Free entrance was a bonus! My little one had so much fun feeding the camels with the grass pack we purchased. We’ll definitely be back for a camel ride when he turns 4!

Nestled in the charming Samford Village, The Store of Requirement is a treasure trove for Harry Potter enthusiasts. Housed in a former church, this enchanting shop boasts Australia's largest selection of licensed Wizarding World merchandise. Whether you're on the hunt for Gryffindor robes, magical wands, or delightful puzzles and mugs, this emporium has it all!
Highly recommend making the trip to The Store of Requirement as it was fabulous! There was so much to see and interact with. The staff were welcoming and happy to interact with the kids. I loved the variety of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts merchandise they had for sale and display. The attached cafe was great too, though it would be fabulous to see more Harry Potter themed items, and some vegan options would be lovely too as we couldn't eat anything on the menu as we had planned on staying for a small bite to eat.

We loved this place. Lots of Harry Potter merchandise. Staff are enthusiastic & this store is kid friendly. They are able to wear the Sorting Hat, that talks to them, after being asked some questions. It really adds to the experience & fun aspect of the shop. Will return.

We were out exploring Samford today and found this awesome little shop — we totally loved it! It’s not just a gift shop, it’s way more than that. The decorations and the café vibe make it feel super special. Definitely a must-visit for Harry Potter fans!

Such a cool place, the food was awesome as was the service considering the amount of people that were in. Plenty of space outside for the dogs. Well worth a visit if you have a few hours to spare. Harry Potter inspired decor and items from the movie are everywhere.

A treasure trove! I'm not a HP fan, but I still found things to buy and look at. Renee was so helpful finding the last item on the shelf that I wanted to buy. The chocolate frogs are delicious. I also found out that I am a Gryffendor! Thanks Renee! Recommended for a browse and gift shopping for yourself or others.

Absolutely magical place for adults and children, especially lovers of Harry Potter. Besides the Harry Potter merchandise, the shop makes you feel like you’re stepping into a world of wizardry. I loved the wand room at the back of the store, hidden behind a curtain and the items hanging from the ceiling. So much thought and time has gone into creating this space as an experience for all. The magical experience continues next door at the Owlery.

Interesting place to go. Wheelchair friendly. Plenty of things to do and see. With a few walking trails to do as well. Plenty of picnic tables and toilets are close by as well. Well maintained area around the playground. Highly recommend going to have a look 🙂🙂.

This place is such a little gem. Plenty of interactive activities for the kids in the Discovery Centre. Outdoor nature & water play areas. Lovely flat lawn area perfect for picnics. Plenty of toilets, BBQs & picnic benches. Short (20 min) seal bush loop track good for strollers. Overflow car parking.

Great place to take the kids. The discover centre offers a lot of interactive activities and also provides maps and fun experiences for the outdoor walking areas and play area. Play area includes a large sandpit.
Mark L — Google review
great walking path for all young and old, with or without pushing pram 😉… there is sufficient open green space for the kids to run around. There is a section of play obstacle for the young ones to expend their energy. There are ample benches to sit on, but bring a mat to sit around on the greens, it’s comfortable. The indoor discovery is rather small, but packed with lots of information for young minds. The storm simulator is very enjoyable (for me), but can be intimidating for the young ones. Walking into a night storm can be unsettling (parental presence will help put away the fears). All up, it’s a good place to visit and spend couple of hours connecting with nature. But do take care of the foliage and be sure to keep the grounds litter free :)

Nestled just an hour's drive from Brisbane in Elimba, Rolin Farms is a delightful destination for strawberry lovers and families alike. Open for strawberry picking from June to October, this charming farm offers visitors the chance to handpick their own juicy strawberries during peak season. Even if you miss the picking window, Rolin Farms has plenty to offer with its Strawberry Shop featuring an array of fresh produce including homemade jams, ice cream, and refreshing drinks.
Been here four times over the years and every experience picking our own strawberries have been great. Strawberries here are big, red, juicy and sweet. We always end our visit with their delicious strawberry ice cream. Love Rolin Farms! Highly recommend!
Holly L — Google review
It wasn't overly busy on the fields which was a positive. The strawberry field was kept tidy and the strawberry icecream was delicious! The shed area is very tired and untidy. Broken chairs were thrown aside. With a little effort and care it could be made into a much more pleasant farm. The shelves at the shop/shed were quite empty and the girl at the counter (we went on Fathers day) was unpleasant and unhelpful. She looked and acted as if she doesn't want to be there. See my photos and you can decide if you want to make it as your destination.
Zsofi N — Google review
My visit to Rolin Strawberry Farm was fantastic! The strawberries were incredibly fresh and impressively large. You can tell these berries are grown with care, and they taste as good as they look! The farm also offers some of nice strawberry ice cream: smooth, creamy, and packed with real strawberry flavor. It’s the perfect treat after a day of picking. If you’re looking for high-quality, delicious strawberries and a fun experience, Rolin Strawberry Farm is the place to go!
Peter D — Google review
The worst farm I’ve ever visited! The staff are unfriendly. I came with my wife, and the lady at the counter insisted we buy two baskets at $15 each; otherwise, she wouldn’t let us enter the farm to pick strawberries. I can’t eat strawberries, and we only needed one basket. So we just turned around and left. Two hours of travel time completely wasted. Avoid!
Австралия — Google review
Visited the farm this morning. After done picking and bought ice cream. I went back to bought the already picked strawberry. The cashier girl needed to work on her customer service skills more. I asked her questions, she didn't answer, I said thank you after paying also didn't answer anything. And she went back on doodling on her book. Looked like she doesn't want to be there.

No frills strawberry picking. Great value picking for the whole family. Glad we did it, great experience
Mark K — Google review
Strawberries look good but the entire facility looks unhygienic, run down, completely uncared for. The shop is busted old shelves with nothing on them. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting and the place has boxes and untidy junk everywhere.
Jess H — Google review
I was very impressed with the quality of the strawberries! I've been to many strawberry farms in Queensland and this could well be at the top of my list of best quality. I haven't tasted the strawberries yet but hopefully they are sweet! Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend!

White Ridge Farm is a family-owned sanctuary located about 50 kilometers north of Brisbane. Visitors can interact with a variety of animals, including goats, cows, pigs, chickens, llamas, alpacas, and even a camel. The farm offers activities such as mini-golf, hayrides, animal feeding sessions, and playgrounds for children. Guests can also bring along a picnic to enjoy on the premises.
Absolutely wonderful day out for my 4 and 2yr old!! Loved that we could set up at one of the many tables on site for morning tea and a run and play in the multiple play areas before and after checking out the animals! The staff were super helpful and the kids thoroughly enjoyed feeding and patting the many friendly animals, they were also huge fans of the tractor and train rides!! Great activity for small children and perfect location for my extremely energetic boys :)

White Ridge Farm is a hidden secret, a beautiful and calming landscape that you will be happy you made the trip for! It’s less than a one hour drive from Brisbane CBD, with so many activities for the kids to do and see. From feeding the gentle farm animals, to holding some hens, tractor rides, train rides, an awesome playground and cute car buggies to ride on for the kids. The putt putt was also such a hit for us. You can hold and feed bunnies, and sight see some awesome setups on the tractor rides. Alpacas and Llamas and cows and goats and gorgeous big trees were about, and massive areas with tables and trees for eating your packed lunch, which my kids loved. There are toys around as well. The coffee was delicious and my husband and I really enjoyed the day outdoors and different from our usual haunts. We spent the entire day and we were all relaxed and peaceful and had such a glorious time! We rode the tractor ride about 4 times! Can’t wait to visit again! Love love this farm!

Very lovely farm! Chance to feed all the lovely animals closely with a bucket of grass. But be careful with the big camel - he will always try to grab all your grass (but I guess I won't be the last one who had my little grass bucket robbed by him). The pink piggy bank in the souvenir shop is very cute too so I bought one and put it at home. It looks nice. And all the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and took care of the animals very well. I’m glad that I visited here between Brisbane and Sunshine Coast. (if there is any suggestion, the only thing that I can think of is maybe the entry road and parking ground could be improved by tarmac paved road, so that they are more friendly with small non-4WD cars of tourists)
Jonathan H — Google review
We visited White Ridge Farm today for the first time. There's a dedicated carpark in front. You pay upon entry and can buy buckets of food to feed the animals. It's a small working farm but there's still a variety of animals to see. All the ones we came across were friendly. There are: - a few playgrounds including an enclosed playground suited to young children - a sandpit - Little Tykes cars for kids to ride in - a toilet block - lots of stations with soap to wash your hands - a mini golf course We enjoyed the tractor ride and the commentary. Unfortunately the train was not operational today. There was a school group here and they told us they were short staffed but it didn't hinder our experience.

Great family day out. Perfect for young children. Lots of beautiful animals. Plenty of opportunity to pet and feed different animals. Fun tractor ride for the kids as well. Opportunity to take your own food and picnic.

It was a great little farm on a nice property, the kids loved it. We spent a good few hours here admiring the animals. Food for the animals is optional on entry $6- $10 per bucket depending on the size.

Affordable farmyard place to go for kids .You can get up close and feed the animals such as piglets, cows, alpaca, llama, lamb etc My granddaughter celebrated ger birthday. They provide you with a barn shaped undercover to have your birthday celebration for two hours. The birthday 🎂 package includes an animal tour and tractor ride at the farm. We were thrilled to see many farm animals on display. There were also birds such cockatoo, galahs, lorikeets to name a few. The layout could be improve. The animals are loved and well cared for. The staff and volunteers were friendly. There are tractor ride and mini train rides available. We really enjoyed our visit here.

Nice spot with table and chairs for a picnic. Took my 2yr old boy there and he was more interested in the free colouring-in station. Best suited for older kids. Unless you get a parking space close to the centre, it's a steep walk back to the car.

We had such a wonderful time at Daisy Hill Koala Centre! 🐨 We were lucky enough to see koalas eating and resting up close, and also enjoyed a peaceful walk through the forest where we spotted some wild animals too. The centre is free, quiet, and set in beautiful bushland, making it a perfect spot to relax and connect with nature. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Brisbane! 🌿 and it’s really family and kids friendly!

An unexpected delight! Great conservation effort, informative and educational. The large spaces and beautiful tracks take you past a quarry with a decent view. Although there's plenty of shade, the sun does dapple through, so screen up. The walk is easy, with some steeper ups and downs here and there.

A smaller attraction but definitely worth a visit 🐨 The place is well organized with clear zones and pathways, spread across two floors with informative signs throughout. The highlight is the adorable koalas, which you can see up close. Facilities are good with parking and clean restrooms available. A nice spot for families to explore, enjoy, and learn about animals together. 🌿

River City Cruises offers a fantastic way to explore the attractions of Brisbane while cruising along the Brisbane River. You can enjoy stunning views of landmarks such as the Story Bridge and Kangaroo Point Cliffs, as well as observe local wildlife like fruit bats near the riverbank mangroves. The cruises provide informative commentary without being overwhelming, and there's plenty of space on board.
We had a great time on the "Cruise to Lunch Package" with River City Cruises! Tapping the keg was a fun and interactive, and the boat ride itself was relaxing and enjoyable. The team went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience, even when the weather took a turn for the worse. Their professionalism and care made all the difference. Highly recommend this cruise for a memorable outing! 🚤🍻🌦️

An absolutely lovely 90 minutes. We did the evening sunset tour up and down the river. Staff were great, value for money excellent. Bought a few drinks onboard and we were given a complimentary ‘nibbles’ plate. Perfect while watching the changing city scape from sunset to full illumination. Highly recommend

We did the Saturday night sunset cruise. I added on tickets to Brisbane wheel and a meal and drink at Plough Inn. Great value if you purchase this way! The cruise is fully licensed and tickets included a nibbles plate which was very generous. Great way to see all the lights of Brisbane. Staff were excellent.

Our family throughly enjoyed the “cruise to Lunch” tour & can happily recommend it! Great way to see Brisbane by boat, get an orientation of the city, enjoy the views & fresh scones with tea & coffee. The crew were helpful & friendly and the commentary was informative & entertaining. Lunch at the Breakfast creek hotel was a highlight. The staff were great & accommodated our dietary requests & the beautiful historic pub had interesting photos & character. Was fun to watch the “tapping of the keg” tradition & enjoy a beer. After lunch as it’s the same ferry stop as the historic Newstead House, you can enjoy a quick walk around its grounds & admire the architecture. Note: the boat pier to start your tour is a little tricky to find within the ‘arts precinct’! It’s actually under a covered driveway so look for the driveway undercover, between the State library and Theatre. Allow extra time to find & can easily get taxis there and back.

Absolutely a fantastic experience, we spent nearly 6 hours here . We caught train into South Brisbane with the fares being 50cents, then a short walk to the Queensland Muesum, which opens @ 9.30am . We visited the Muesum first, which is free to all . We had SparkLab tickets booked for 11am. We looked at all the exhibits, had a lovely morning tea at Cafe Mùse ,great food ,coffee ,pastries were yummo service was superb. The SparkLab was extremely interesting with so much for the children & adults to participate in hands-on experience . I loved the setup of this place, so informative . Loved the entrance with Science on a Sphere(SOS) The man who was at this exhibit was extremely helpful & knowledgeable in answering all the questions I asked . The science bar, which is where all the experiments were extremely informative, too . BIG THANKYOU. Certainly, I will be back to see other exhibits in the near future. This place is a must to put on your bucket list.

Honestly kinda disappointed. We didn’t realise all the good stuff from when we were kids 2000-2010, is now gone! No running track, no different sized rooms, no trippy spinning tunnel with bridge & other stuff too. It’s 3 pretty small rooms with everything squished together. During school holidays (today) it was extremely busy & hard to move a pram around. Also you have to book a time slot, which we didn’t realise till we got there & had to wait 4 hours for the next available time. Also there was no signage to get there from the bus/train, so we walked around & up & down lifts for a good 10min before we found it, only to realise the Anzac Gallery is also the Spark Lab entrance, there’s just no sign saying that. $50 for 3 adults (son was free as he is 2).

We had a brilliant visit to SparkLabs on our recent trip to Brisbane. I was hesitant because the website says best suited for 6-13yo, however, we took our daughter who is just shy of 6 by a month or so at the time of visiting, and she absolutely loved it. There was plenty for her to see, do, learn about and interact with. Greg, one of the staff, was absolutely fantastic and my daughter hung on every word he said. He took her aside and did a slime experiment, taking the time to explain all about what was happening. He also took a variety of activities and information sessions during our morning and they were all very good. Plenty of things to do for children of all ages. My daughter would have probably stayed all day, but I reckon 1.5 - 2 hours would be an average visit. I also recommend getting there early as I believe it could get crowded, although I also think they only sell limited tickets throughout the day.

( Ages 5 to 7) They all thoroughly enjoyed the Spark Lab…the well done science demos, as well as a myriad of interactive choices. They all had different favourite activities. One enjoyed the simple but very creative table the most ( a remarkably simple and a fantastic idea for home when the kids are young), another the science demo and yet another the ropes, pulleys etc… and more active options.

We had a great time with an 11 year old and a 3 year old - both girls. Both got very hands on with all of the activities. My brother in law was able to explain some of the lessons to the girls (and to my sister and I 🙈) and it was fun and engaging. Session was an hour and a half and the girls had to be dragged away from some places to ensure that we were able to see everything in time. The staff were great with kids. Ticket prices are reasonable and decent value for money as well. Some of the machines were out of order, which was a little disappointing, but there was still plenty to make up for it. The first area we went into was also INCREDIBLY stimulating, to the point that my sister and I felt a bit over stimulated. That particular area may not be super great for people with sensory issues as an overall. I’m sure there are signs and warnings about it, but I can’t recall seeing any, so I imagine they may not be well displayed. I’d definitely go back, but it would need to be with a same or similar age group. I can see why they have a recommended age - I don’t think it would be as engaging for older kids.

I went with my 13 year old son in the school holidays. It was very busy so you had to wait to use a few things but lots of great hands on interactive displays. There was also live science demonstrations but our favourite part was when they lit up the Tesla coil. Definitely a good one for curious young minds. The rest of the museum which is free, is great to check out too.

Great shows, the kids really enjoyed participating in them. Make sure you book! It gets really busy. Plenty of space inside to not feel crowded. If you have auditory sensitivity take ear plugs

Shorncliffe Pier is a historic timber pier in Brisbane, Australia, offering stunning views and a picturesque setting. It stretches 350m into Bramble Bay and is known as the city's largest timber pier and one of the longest recreational piers in the country. The pier has undergone restoration and rebuilding, making it perfect for activities such as picnics, photography, fishing, or leisurely strolls.
This pier is fantastic for night. Fishing and I go there a lot with my son and lots of my workmates! So if you like Fishing for flat head pike and brim at night this place can go off at times which makes it absolutely awesome! Lots of fun with myself and my six year-old once a week on the weekend and you will find that they are lots of light minded sociable people that do night Fishing at the pier. I tend to use ultralight JDM style gear and do extremely well with Pike and brim, especially.👍

Great spot to watch the winter sunset. Lots of people fishing and sight seeing, going for a walk with pets on leash. There’s also a mobile cafe in the area. A bit hard to find a parking but easy enough when you drive back up and find a spot next to the road.

Lovely place to visit on a free and easy mode. Reaching 351.5 metres (1,153 ft) out into Bramble Bay (part of Moreton Bay) it is the largest timber pier in Brisbane and one of the longest recreational piers in Australia, as Wikipedia puts it. Walked out to the end of the Pier, past several folks trying to fish with a sprinkling of visitors going to and fro, some with nicely groomed pet dogs. Not crowded in October. Wonderful sea breezes whilst we watched the sea bobbing about us. Proceeded to a sand beach next to the pier with children building sand castles. Relaxed there for a while then walking to restaurants at nearby Sandgate. Interesting walk past lovely houses with lovely gardens to match for about 15 to 20 minutes in nice weather. A wonderful day.

🌅 5 Stars – A Peaceful Gem by the Bay 🌿✨ Shorncliffe Pier is one of Brisbane’s most beautiful coastal spots! The ocean breeze, the long boardwalk, and the stunning sunrise views create a truly calming experience. Perfect for a peaceful walk, taking in the sights, or snapping a few photos 📸. The surrounding parklands are well-kept and ideal for a picnic or a quiet read under the trees 🌳🧺. Easy parking and family-friendly amenities make it a great weekend destination. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike! 💯❤️

Not a lot of parking available for a weekend. Plenty of undercover areas. Toilets easily accessable and clean. Great walk out on the pier. Photos and info about site.

Great walk from Shorncliffe Pier to Brighton and back at both high and low tide. There is a mobile coffee truck there every morning. I park at the top and walk down, quicker and easier than trying to grab a spot along the bottom carpark.

Great place for a walk, nice beach, great kids play area, weekends has a coffee cart and ice cream van in the area by the pier. Lower car park fills quickly, car park above is within walking distance and has a nice cafe nearby. Plenty of space and whether sun in or out, nice place for a walk.
