The 27 best water parks in and near Cincinnati

Visited the riverfront park during our recent trip to Cincinnati. It’s a nice park with a walking path. It has beautiful views of the bridge. Also has swinging benches to sit. There’s a small rose garden as well with lots of pretty roses. The boardwalk was nice.

Amazing park! There's a playground for kids with some really cool things to play on, great views of the bridge and river, and a water feature, too. A great place to walk around in downtown Cincinnati.

Beautiful riverfront park with something for everyone! The views of the Ohio River and the Roebling Bridge are stunning, especially at sunset. The walking paths are wide and well-kept, with plenty of benches, swings, and gardens along the way. Kids love the interactive fountains and playgrounds, while adults can enjoy a peaceful stroll or relax by the water. The landscaping is gorgeous in every season. A perfect spot for photos, picnics, or just unwinding in the city. Highly recommend if you’re visiting downtown Cincinnati!

This area was amazing, I wish we have a place like this one back here in Orlando. Very clean and peaceful for be next to the downtown. A few homeless around but they don't bother anyone. There's a playground, garden, swings, restrooms and walkways. We sow people running and walking with their dogs.

A great view to relax and just think of the nothings that's surrounding you. Long trail and great amazing boat rides.

Such a fun and beautiful park. There is so much to do here that we came back twice.

This is a nice park in the downtown. It has a play area for kids. Has musical fountain. Beautiful views of Cincinnati music hall. It’s a big park, perfect for kids. Nice walking path all around. Lot of greenery as well.

It's a very nice green space with splash pad type skippers located for kids to play. They also have a play area. Cleanish free restrooms. Nice shaded areas with benches to enjoy a picnic. Nice view of the concert hall. Easy to find parking on a holiday. We saw many people doing picnics.

Washington Park is a lot of fun. They have something for almost everyone. If you want a drink, there is a walk-up bar. If you want some food, they have food trucks parked along the outside of the park. If you want to read a book, you can sit alongside (and even inside) the gazebo. There are water features to cook down your dog on a hot day. Maybe most importantly, the bathrooms are clean and functional. Great spot for everyone in the community and the Connector runs right by and has a stop that lets you off right at the heart of it all. Cool spot.

Truly a must see music hall, The tours cost $20 and there are inside and outside tours. I did the inside tour and it was amazing! Love the story of the history of the music hall they even played the organ for us in the ballroom at the end. Ask them to play the organ and they may do it for you.

Wonderful urban Park with a vibrant history. The surrounding shops (including Findlay market) and restaurants make it super easy to have a picnic here. The dog park is also top notch with an amazing water feature running through it for the dogs to play and cool off in. The outdoor bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. An outdoor jungle gym and splash pad round out the offerings. With a little something for everyone, Washington Park is a real gem.

Nice neighborhood park, with everything you'd expect to find: ball fields, picnic shelters, playgrounds, and a walking track with benches in shady spots. A pleasant place to spend a little time outside. The parking lot from Clough Rd is pretty bad. Terrible sight lines and narrow laneways between the rows of parked kid haulers make it borderline dangerous, driving or walking. Avoid it by parking in the lower lot if you can.

This is a very nice public space and the Anderson Parks Department takes very good care of it. Anderson along with a lot of the Cincinnati area was hit recently by some very hard winds and there were some trees toppled in the park and I was there the next morning and at 9:00 they had already cleaned most of it up. A day later you could not really tell that much had happened. The paved Loop is very nice for walking, and some people jog there. Although you clearly have to dodge a fair number of pedestrians if you're running there and it's not a long Loop for a runner about a mile. During the evenings in nicer weather there are soccer games and baseball games and softball games, mostly for youth leagues of some sort in the early evening. These are very nice, but then the paved Loop is often blocked, not by the parents (who usually bring folding chairs and sit on the grass inside the loop) but by the hundreds of siblings of the players who run around unsupervised and play various games in the middle of the path and tend not to be very observant of what else is going on. As always, look out for those who are careless of others riding large or motorized bicycles. But at other times the park is often very peaceful and idyllic, with some beautiful flowering trees in the spring. One can get a very different impression depending upon when one is there. If the back lot is full of f-350 size trucks you know there's a youth baseball game on.

1st time at this park, had my little grandson with , soon to be 2yrs. Old. He loved the swings, the restroom was nice & clean. They were mowing in places today & the park is well kept....BEAUTIFUL Nana

This is a lovely park in a serene environment. There are plenty of play fixtures for the kids to use. The splash pad was not functioning due to the winter season so I could not see how it works. There is a lot of open space and a mini trail for walking around the area. It was nice.👍

One of the best parks in the Cincinnati area. Lots of open geen areas, several shelters, more than one play area and a splash pad and sand play areas to boot. It's also clean and will take care of. My kids love it .

Very nice park for all ages. Plenty of playground equipment for all ages. Soccer fields, basketball, and walking path. Splash pad for summer. Great place to bring the kids and grandkids.

White City Park attendant was aware that Black man was having an event for his son and very rudely closed and locked both bathrooms —— the Park was located at 6059 Kennedy Over 40 people men, women and children were completely inconvenience for no reason at all

College hill is cool for the price. Please get more professional training for the evening staff! Rude and they don’t make eye contact with you.

You are putting on a boxing event to end violence? Why not hold an event about how to handle and fire a gun? Do you not understand boxing? Boxing is violent. Here is a little suggestion, hold an event that is non-violent, involves parents, and talks about how to better their lives.

A very awesome place to visit if you have a question ask a question and someone will give you an answer. even add a very modest price for the center's and the aquatic pools during their season

Good area. Parking facility was great. Vehicles were parked properly instead of roads. Highly recommended to runners.

Trash. I will be glad when I leave this city again. The pools don't adhere to schedules and they open and close when they FEEL like it, ESPECIALLY Pleasant Ridge.

THIS ISNT FAMILY ORIENTED AT ALL. GO TO THE YMCA. CRC IS TRASH. BOUGHT 3 MEMBERSHIPS AND COME TO FIND OUT MY 3yo and 4 yo is accepted. BEWARE.

Great location, right in the city! Good space with a beautifully designed platform. However, the grounds are somewhat neglected and unkempt. Entry is somehow hidden and slows traffic. It is difficult to figure out how to get there as the address is invisible and road signs are missing. Construction is ongoing. Be careful when visiting the restroom. They are pitched on uneven grounds and may falĺ on you.

Sawyer Point Park was very spacious. The breeze from the water allows you to enjoy concerts even during high temperatures. I saw Big Freedia there, and it was a personable atmosphere!!

We had a wonderful experience at the Sawyer point this weekend concert of Midnight Star, and on Sunday, Fred Hammond & all gospel. The best part was it twas a Free Concert! It would’ve been a little better if the grass had been cut though

98% of the vendors only take credit / debit cards. I made the mistake of only taking cash the first day. I only was able to walk around part of the day. It was hot and I needed water. A kind Bender offered two bottles of water from there employee cooler. Imagine that I tipped well for those. A big thank you! Oktoberfest was great!

Great place for festivals and concerts. Seems like there was someone always cleaning up too

This nature preserve has good views of the creek, forest, and trails. The trails are well maintained but they can be a bit steep for a beginner, but would be perfect for someone who walks regularly. Also, there are several deer trails that branch off of the main path so if you're not careful you can wander off the trail. It's right off the highway, which is both good and bad because you can hear some road noise throughout the park. I went on a cool fall weekend and it was not crowded at all. Overall, I had a great experience!

The leaves are squeezing orange, lemon and lime colors! One of my fave places for Autumn this year. It’s sort of a wet day and the steps are a bit slippery but my 4 year old niece puddles through it. She’s thrill of the “rain shower” leaves pouring over her. It’s magical to watch her in awe of nature’s beauty! I think this place is breathtaking! Definitely coming back next peak Autumn! Lots of fun exploring the trail and the creek. Even though it's late September it's still pretty warm and green. The hike is well marked and maintained. The kids had a blast playing in the water. A great slice of nature in the city!

Super nice place to go walk the trails. We went right as the leaves started changing and it was absolutely beautiful. Only saw a few people on our wall, all very friendly. We felt safe and comfortable here

When we first got there we went down the Long stair. At the bottom there is a fork in the road, we turned right to go over the bridge. It was terrible! The trail was over grown and all the trails ended in a dead end. So we went back to the fork and went left. It was amazing and beautiful. We hiked around for 3 hrs with a 6 & 4 yr old, 6 month, and two adults. We loved it. Great views. Hidden gem.

This was my first visit to Caldwell Nature Preserve and I really enjoyed the trails. There are a few fallen trees that need to be cut to open some of the trails up to small children and those who may not be able to climb over the tree trunks. I plan to return and explore the trails more.

Beech acres is a very well maintained park. All amenities are very cared for and always being used. This park has a large playground, skatepark, volleyball courts, baseball fields, a small water park, and a lot of open green space. Additionally the park is very walkable.

Kids had a ball. Wasn't super hard to find. Splash pad was very simple but enough for my toddlers up to 7yr old.

Great easily accessed park for kids of any age. Even with kids that escape quickly from view the boundaries are very distinct and traffic is limited to a very small area. I don’t know why kids like to cool off in the little waterworks and then roll in the sand........but they can do that here ...and it is ok. Lol

Wonderful park, plenty of things to do from baseball, volleyball and basketball to hiking trails, skating and water play.

Facilities are amazing and cost is substantially cheaper than other similar alternatives such as Cincinnati sports club. It is not normally overcrowded, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and it is always very clean and comfortable

Dont go to this gym, if you want to be in a rude toxic enviorment join this gym because theres a bunch of confrontational bums who think they are the center of the world. I can even count on my fingers the amount of bad experiences ive had there with the people that go there, and the workers. please join another gym

Today, I returned to the JCC for the first time after dropping my membership 15+ years ago (when I had little kids). What a fantastic surprise! The place is still beautiful and extremely nice. While the fitness area is not super large, it has very nice well cared for equipment, and they have even expanded their number Expresso exercise bikes that I loved using back in the day. Part of my motivation for joining was to check out the good selection of group fitness classes. Also, now that I'm a bit older, I may check into some of the more community oriented benefits, or perhaps even try lap swimming again. Did I mention, they still include towel services!

Great staff, amazing gym, fun pool, eclectic programing with something for everyone.

We especially love the outdoor pool! After camps are over for the day it never seems to get crowded. I only wish the pool wasn't right next to Ronald Reagan. Having towels on sight for the pool is a nice perk, too! We are always greeted with a kind hello upon our arrival to the J.

I love their workout equipment and swimming pools. They have very good programs for adults and kids.

I joined when they had a special a month ago. I absolutely love it. The facility is clean and has just any and every exercise equipment invented. The staff are fantastic. I am so inspired to take care of myself now. This facility is the best that I have ever seen. I can't describe it - go....take a tour and you will see.

Few things: Your "Life" guards have on socks with crocs, crocs, and sweatpants. Are they trained to remove these items before saving a life or can they do so with said clothing items. 2nd: Love the reservation system. However, someone literally just put an item on 9 chairs to "save them". Need a better system for those who have reservations and are there promptly for their reservation time.

This is a beautiful pool sponsored by 3CDC. It has a splash park and a public park right next door. There is a child's wading area, a 5-foot deep area and a 10-foot area with both a diving board and a pool climbing wall. It cost $4 for an adult and $2 for a child and there is a parking garage across the street where I paid $4. The annual pass is income weighted. The concession is at the front desk and sells candy and ice cream and pop and a bag of baby carrots and hummus. The changing rooms/bathrooms are clean and pleasant and the pool provides water wings for the smallest children. There are plenty of poolside chaise lounges and some tables with umbrellas. A very beautiful pool for the new Over the Rhine.

Life guards DO NOT watch the deep end. Look at previous photos they have posted from the rock wall and appears none ever sits there and if they do their back is facing the 11 foot area Especially the rock wall area. Someone drowned yesterday It took the life guards 5 to 10 minutes after a family member already dove down to help her and get her out of the water. Luckliy the pedestrians were watching out. Luckily the random lady gave her cpr if it was up to them she would probably still be at the bottom lifeless

This pool is so well maintained and clean! Also the staff is super awesome and c'mon the dog swim at the end of the year is the BEST! Kali loves it and all the doggos have the bestest time!

Used to be free but of course now has a fee. Created more violence and crime in the city because youth have no free entertainment. Failure of humanity and society

Ziegler Pool has highly trained, efficient, & welcoming staff on duty. My baby girl is so independent and decided to take a jump in the pool on her own. The lifeguard immediately jumped into action and brought her out of the water. She wasn’t physically nor internally hurt just her feelings were overloaded lol. I appreciate staff and the other parents swimming, coming to verify that my girl was okay. I felt a little bad because that lifeguard had literally just got to work & was immediately & unexpectedly in the water lol. Thank you all! I definitely recommend bringing family and friends here to enjoy the weather and catch a vibe. Also, adult swim is pretty fun!

My son and I enjoyed McKie Recreation center this summer. They are not good at displaying operation hours. A couple not all employees there can tend to be very disrespectful. Once you know operation hours and get comfortable with the atmosphere you will enjoy it. The pricing I thought could be cheaper but it's not too bad 5$ adult daily 2$ a child

This would be my son & I first day of Summer ( 2024 ) that we would have to make a decision if we'll ever go back. This same employee displayed some of these similar behaviors the previous pool season. Her behavior is an issue. It's a hit or miss if you receive a receive a response if you ask her anything. She's very aggressive. Her body language most definitely is a treat to others. I've always enjoyed visiting Mkie pool & park. We did go sit at Waterpark. We had a blast. It was clean free of any hazards. A porter restroom was available very close by. We will make another attempt for the pool soon.

It's a great place. The pool is clean and cold. Lifeguards are very attentive and many of them. I bought a subscription, because of that pool. 💦🏊🏖️🐕🐈🐇🦜🕊️🐦🌹❤️🐾🇺🇸

My grandchildren and I have often come to the McKee Aquatic Center pool and Sprayground. As I recall a family pass is $70 for the season but it's only either two or $5 for children or adults to visit each per visit. day passes and memberships can be purchased at the gate. It has a diving board and a deep end and lifeguards and is one of the larger Cincinnati aquatic centers. It is part of the Cincinnati Recreation Commission.

My family have been an active part of northside and the McKie Community Center for almost 13 years. We ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE STAFF AT THE CENTER AND THE POOL. They always welcome us with open arms and friendly smiles. We live in a dufferent community bow but visit McKie weekly.

This rec center is a great value for the price. The weight room has plenty of equipment and is usually not too crowded. My only complaint is the hours of operation change frequently, are hard to find, and not very convenient. For example they had "Summer Hours" posted that were 7 AM- 7 PM but now in August I tried to visit at 8 AM and they weren't open. During the winter I believe the hours are 9 AM-8 PM - it would be so nice if the center opened a bit earlier to fit in a morning workout. It would also be cool if they had weekend hours.

Love taking my kids to the sprinkle park . Its always clean and everyone is so nice. They even give kids free lunch from 1 to 3 its a nice place to escape the heat

Went for the splash pad. Very nice time for children of various ages.

It's nice to have access to fields and the water area looks nice. That said, there were multiple baseball games this weekend and the porta potties were filled to the brim. They could be smelled in the outfield. This is the second tournament we've played there and this was the case both times. Really unfortunate with a young daughter.

Visiting family and because I’m not a resident cannot go in with family. Pitiful and rude employees

A lot of work has been put into the fields this year and they look and play really well. If the city would open the concession stand and the water park for the kids, I'd give this 5 stars.

Came for a tournament from Ohio,and had our 5 year old and he wanted to play in the water park. Only Covington residents are allowed to use the park. So we are good enough to come down here and spend our hard earned money in your town but cant use your waterpark??!! My 5 year old left in tears. Thanks. Wont plan anymore tournaments at this location. Not to mention porta Jon's were completely full and out of toilet paper. NO Concessions, and they were completely incapable of handling the brackets.

Beautiful view of the Ohio River from the Wetland park. Also, plenty of shade for parents to set up at to keep from frying. The slides and the equipment is showing some age (plastic is fading), but my kids has always loved the park every time she goes. They also have food and beverage for afterwards.

My two 4 year olds had a blast!! You can just let the kids go because it is fenced in, which they loved just being able to run free. Admission is inexpensive, snacks and drinks for the family, and a covered sitting area with picnic benches.

Great place for an afternoon. The wet pad is large enough for many kids but small enough to easily monitor. The snack bar is reasonable and there are plenty of tables. It may not stack up to a water park but this park with water pad is a great value.

Was pleasantly surprised how well maintained and clean everything is. All of the workers were very polite. We were at the water park 3 hours. Thankful for the umbrellas for shade. Plenty of employees to watch over the kids.

My daughter has been coming here st least twice a summer since she was about 2 or 3.she is almost 11 and still,likes it esp. To meet new friends. Snack bar a bit high but admission not bad..the non resident rate of admission to Hamilton county parks us crazy though.zig I am driving an hour and spending that much on gas I shouldn't be punished with higher annual fee than a resident!!! They should be grateful non residents come and spend money at snack bar ,wetland,and gift shop!

It's cute. Reasonably priced. Shower/changing facility, food, ice cream. Kids run free because it's fenced in which can be good and bad. Could use updated. Not really for the over 8 year old crowd. On site picnic area and a separate baby/toddler splash area.

I had the pleasure of being invited by a Blue Ash resident to go swimming at the pool. The entire facility is fabulous. The staff is nice. Everything is updated. Everywhere was clean. The patrons & kids were all respectful. The only con I can find is that it would cost me $450 for a family membership as an employee of a business located in the City.

Safe, clean, friendly, and well-managed. The kiddie pool is awesome and the large pool has 2 story slides, swim lanes, and a diving board. It has a handicap-accessible lift for the large pool. The concessions are good too!

We’ve been a couple of times as guests of our friends. Great facility, clean, plenty of lifeguards. We wish we lived in Blue Ash so we could be here more often!

Traveling through and called to ask about the cost of admission to the pool. Rude lady said you had to live here to use the pool. I understand some areas may be like this, but you need a friendlier rec center worker! This rude worker puts a stain on the community of Blue Ash.

My granddaughters love the pool here. Request going here over the local theme park.

One big pool up to 12 feet I think.comes with two diving boards two pretty big adult size slides.a splash ground and kiddy pool .indoor sauna.indoor hot tub .indoor gym.climbing walls.rackit ball gym.two basket ball gyms.two story fitness center.also a variety of classes like yoga ECT. I had an awesome time there.great for all blue ash residence . As for people like me .better know somebody that lives in blueash . memberships are 100 dollars any size family .but that's the same price for one person membership as well.

Nice small water park. Two different family members have rented for birthday parties. You can rent it for 4 hours. There’s an hour between for clean up before the next party. Which I see it as half hour clean up, half hour set up for the next. The family that rented after ours was a little pushy.. we started cleaning up around 2:45, next party did start until 4 but they came over and sat at a table before 3, walked around all our stuff and family that was cleaning up. Very rude.. I feel a half hour for set it is good no need for an hour. This was last weekend.

Parents are not supervising children.. especially pre-teens who are using playground equipment in unsafe ways. My toddler daughter was injured due to multiple older children curling up and hiding in the slide. She tried to go down and couldn’t see them and she ran into one of the kids. Now she has a cut under her eye and a knot on her head. I asked the child to take me to his parents so that I could let them know about the behavior and he refused and continued to climb on top of the slides, speed past very small kids, and wrestle other older children. There was no one on sight to help address this. We also went to the bathroom and there was sand stuffed in the sink with paper towels and the water running. Also heard a parent who was letting his small child play in the sand tell her that she “needed to rinse the sand off in the water before she can get in the car to go home.” The city knows there are issues but has not taken prompt action to address it. I appreciate that this is a free option for a lot of families, but this is in the wilder community and has been overrun by neighboring areas and people who are not respecting this resource. This park is not safe for small children anymore due to its increased popularity. I am deeply disappointed in our experience at this park and I’d recommend going elsewhere until the issues are addressed. EDITED TO ADD: tried to give it a shot for 2023 and in the thirty minutes we were there I watched several kids climbing recklessly in playground equipment, pouring big buckets of water down a slide (making it too dangerous for kids to actually go down), blocking the drains so that the water is not recycled properly, and general overcrowding.. Such a good idea in theory, but you watch several kids get hurt every time you go, it isn’t worth the risk when it could be prevented. Wilder should consider charging a small fee and gating it. I’d rather pay to ensure the safety of the children than put them at risk every time they do. Additionally, other cities could help the overcrowding problem by establishing more splash parks- just one day at City Center park proves the demand is there.

Great place to take smaller children but but older children need to be supervised at all times or at least have an attendant on the premises.

It's a little small but has everything we need. An area for the big kids and little kids. When we went the water park wasn't open but it's open now.

Very very poor water pressure and no place to sit in the shade if the covered picnic area is taken by folks BBQing for the day. I do not recommend this place.

Good water play but quite a bit of debris and smoking paraphernalia on the ground, city needs to clean it up..I would recommend pool shoes for this playground.
