The menu features indulgent dishes with names like Walk of Shame and Kick In The Crotch, catering to college students' tastes. Despite its collegiate atmosphere, the restaurant impresses with its delicious and generously portioned offerings. It serves breakfast and lunch alongside a full bar every day, making it a popular spot for young hangover-stricken students.
Stopped in for breakfast one morning in April. We were seated right away. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, and the restaurant was clean. We enjoyed the pancakes, eggs, and chicken & waffles - everything was properly prepared and seasoned. Would visit again.

This was a tasty experience. I’ve heard positive reviews about this place, so it peaked my curiosity. The chorizo is phenomenal! It’s housemade. Would recommend for a late Saturday morning brunch.
Emily G — Google review
Possibly the best breakfast cocktail I've ever had and I've drank several in my lifetime! Bourbon based and perfectly balanced. The hash was so tender and full of flavor. We loved it and will return for sure! Tobias went above and beyond!
Kellie D — Google review
Great place for breakfast as the three of us all enjoyed our meal. Eating area is spacious and clean. Food was tasty and filling. Service was attentive and friendly. Would definitely eat here again.

Food was just okay - Cincinnati’s flavors are unique, not amazing. I think depending on where you sit, you’ll smell sewer. We requested to be moved to a booth and we could no longer smell the sewer (or whatever it was). I was also annoyed with the service.
Crystal F — Google review
This was such a good brunch spot find!!! They had incredible, unique options along with some classics. The food came out fast, service was friendly, and the food was so flavorful and delicious. Truly loved our experience! 1000% recommend the Hoe Benny!!!!
Brittney W — Google review
This may be my favorite brunch spot on the planet and we have a thing for brunch. When we travel, we hit brunch spots and this place may have ruined us for anywhere else. Our server Merabti was outstanding, drinks never came close to empty, friendly and fast and he recommended the pollo party which wasn’t even on my radar but I am glad he did. We are coming back tomorrow.

Maplewood Kitchen and Bar is a delightful spot in downtown, offering a bright and airy space with a casual yet sophisticated menu that channels Californian cuisine. From indulgent brunch items to interesting lunch offerings, there's something for everyone. The house-pressed juices add a guilt-free touch to the rich dishes. Additionally, the pop-up Cackleberry offers eggy breakfast sandwiches with Queen City staples and Filipino-fusion ingredients from its vintage trailer.
I went to breakfast here on my way out of town. Super clean and staff was super friendly. Brunch was also reasonably priced. Great menu options. I wish the breakfast place I go to with my family twice/month in my own hometown were this good.

Maplewood had a pretty solid atmosphere. The food was ok, not great. Service was fast. If you are looking for a quick brunch spot it’s pretty solid. Avocado BLT: 4/5 Burger: 4/5
Matt Q — Google review
Walk up and order and they’ll come find you. Water station with old milk jugs to fill up for your table (brilliant). I got the Mediterranean bowl with salmon- DELICIOUS + filling but not super heavy. My mom got the avocado toast and it was really good too (can’t go too wrong with an avocado toast everrrr). The atmosphere was bright, clean and comfortable. TVs to watch if you’re there alone. Cool bar seating too!
Jordan M — Google review
This was an outstanding experience all around. They were very accommodating of our large group (7) and found us a great table. The food was excellent, service was outstanding, and the ambiance was perfect.

YOU CAN sell CLEAN HEALTHY food at a competitive price! Grab a menu and order at the counter, seat yourself with a number, and collect your own water as much as you need. The costs saved here helps provide higher QUALITY ingredients for the customer. Organic, cage free, grass fed, local, and locally roasted coffee... they've got it. If you're health conscious and value what you put inside your body, this is your spot. Everything I had was honestly delicious. I will be back here and I assume anything else will also be a banger. I ordered: Cappuccino (add the maple syrup from the pancakes to sweeten, it's local too) Beet and Orange juice (bottled) SIDE of Lemon ricotta pancakes - side is a stack of 2 pancakes (ask for extra compote) Chicken club sandwich Goetta This was PLENTY of food for 2 people. Everything was delicious and surpassed my expectations. Service was very friendly and polite. Don't sleep on this place. It's healthy, exceptional value, delicious, and highly instagrammable if you're into that. Just go.
Karolina W — Google review
I cannot believe how unique fresh and delicious are is the plate of Chiliquiles! Like in Mexico, each town, each restaurant, have their own special recipes. Que maravilloso! Halfway through before I thought to take a pic. Whoops? So good! And Triniti at the bar is always so pleasant and makes great cocktails!
Randal R — Google review
This place has a cool aesthetic but for us that's where the vibes ends. Be prepared to wait in a long line to order. The food came pretty quickly but frankly was not good. It was bland. My mimosa was decent but my partners bloody mary was a little dissapointing. All in all, I would classify this spot as mid-leagues. It is not worth a repeat visit for me.
Kay — Google review
Food was delicious, and staff was very friendly. It was very busy but they cleared tables quickly. The lemon ricotta pancakes were delicious. The chopped salad was hearty and filling. The espresso martini had cinnamon on top which really put it over the top! Would highly recommend this place!!

Located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Cincinnati, The Echo is a beloved local spot that has been serving up comfort food and drinks since 1945. Run by husband-and-wife team Nate and China Kautz, the restaurant offers a diverse menu that includes breakfast sandwiches with Filipino-fusion twists like the Lolo and the Porter. The California Omelet, filled with avocado, bacon, and cream cheese, is a popular choice for brunch.
I’ve been here a couple times and absolutely loved it. It’s a good place to get a hearty breakfast and a good cup of coffee. The food is good, the service is outstanding and despite the place being a bit cramped at time it’s cozy. I particularly recommend this one thing I had that I think was called the Flying Pig. It was ham and swiss on french toast, and while that sounds weird it was absolutely delicious. Definitely check this place out if you can.

Group of 16 of us post graduation. Wonderful meal. Excellent and attentive staff. Nice location. Anxious to return!

A throwback mid-century diner in Hyde Park Square area. How is it that I have never eaten here before? Arrived at 11:30 for an early lunch to ensure getting a table without a wait. Lucked out and got metered parking right in front. Service was friendly and my sandwich platter hit the spot. The lunch counter is cool and they even have shirts for sale. You know you are a special restaurant when you have your own merch!
Ken G — Google review
This diner hits all the high notes and none of the low marks. Clean, friendly, fast, great food. This was a hit in our travels. Highly recommend the special toasts and the red, white, and blueberries dish. Don't skip this one!
Sarah M — Google review
9/11/25 After a hospital visit, my husband and I stopped at Echo for breakfast. I ordered the eggs Benedict with hollandaise sauce and the country boy style. Both tasted good and were prepared well. My husband had Steph’s Sampler and added bananas and chocolate chips as toppings, though we later found out that came with an extra charge. The pancakes themselves were okay, but a little underwhelming. The staff were very friendly and polite, and I appreciated how quickly we were served, and able to get out. The place is very mom and pop feel. Overall, it was a decent breakfast and convenient stop, but nothing that stood out enough for me to want to make a return visit.
World T — Google review
A sweet little place tucked in amongst the buildings located in Hyde Park was definitely a find!!! Just a small diner with alot of old charm. From the time we arrived to being seated was a short wait and the staff was so very friendly including our amazing waitress Tina which all made for a great morning. We enjoyed the Baked Caramel apple French toast, omelet w/ homefries, Steph's sampler and the Hot Mess. Highly recommend as your next breakfast hot spot! Arrive early as the line can easily run out the door and up the sidewalk, but it's definitely worth the wait!
Sherry M — Google review
This place has a great diner feel and the staff made me feel like a local! Stephanie, the owner, told us all about the lore of the restaurant which was great fun. Our server Asia was super helpful and attentive. The food was so good too! We got the Hot Mess which was a pile of deliciousness.

Some of the best breakfast I’ve ever had! Me and my fiancé stopped here before we got back on the highway to head home, glad they were open as a lot of places were closed due to it being Monday. We parked, paid and went right in and seated ourselves. Our waitress was attentive and got to us pretty quick. The best potato cakes I’ve ever had! We will be back in Cincy and back to the echo

Located in downtown Cincinnati, Sleepy Bee Cafe is a popular breakfast spot with multiple locations across the city. The cafe offers a cozy and bright space with a focus on serving local non-GMO foods and bee-friendly practices. Their menu features classic breakfast options like omelets, pancakes, bacon, as well as more unique offerings such as tofu scramble, vegan sausages, and ginger coconut sweet potato soup.
This restaurant deserves the title of “the BEST IN CINCINNATI”. Chill and bright atmosphere. Always packed, very popular. Pancakes were huge and fluffy . Even the gluten-free pancakes came out fluffy and very tasty. don’t forget the syrup and other sauce they added to the various pancakes. they were delicious to the core and ingredients are all sourced locally. Avo toast were unique, came with so much healthier ingredients. Sandwiches stacked high and yummy. I was full on half of it. Definitely can be shared. We also like the puréed seasonal soup and all the coffee drinks. Service was SUPER … down to earth attitude, knowledgeable of the items on menu, friendly and efficient. Value: worth every penny. Reasonable for the quality of the ingredients you can get here.

One of my favorite places to go since I started eating out regularly. Extremely relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, kind and more than accommodating staff, and above all a great menu. If you prefer straight forward and delicious food without needing to overthink your choice, you'll appreciate the one and a half page menu where every option I've tried has been delicious. Great breakfast spot especially!
Pacey D — Google review
We had an amazing experience here. The service was welcoming, and we didn't have to wait long to get to our table. The food was good. I wish they had fresh strawberries for the pancake, as most pancake places do. The coffees were great, especially the latte. We would highly recommend this spot, but be prepared to wait for a table, especially on weekends.
Aon — Google review
This was the perfect fresh breakfast I’ve been searching for. Food was delicious, staff were helpful, and the atmosphere was amazing. The “Bee Cake” pancakes piqued my interest and my waitress was happy to explain. Basically, it’s a gluten free pancake made with honey and pollen that helps the dough raise like a “normal” pancake. However it had a surprisingly familiar mouth feel and a welcomed nutty flavor! Couldn’t be happier! The breakfast sandwich I got was also delicious and fresh. Truly enjoyed this breakfast so much, I might say it’s the best part of the whole city!
Charlie J — Google review
First time coming to this place and will never return. It was slightly busy but waiters were just standing around talking to each other. We had to go up to a server to be put on the waitlist and they had told us it’s about a 10-15 minute wait, turned out to be 25-30. Finally got sat and the waitress that was her first day today was very polite and gave us water (she was doing amazing!), our actual waitress took our drink order and didn’t bring out the actual drinks til 10-15 minutes later. I’m assuming smoothies shouldn’t be room temp and melted, she took our food order the same time as drinks and they had been sitting in the window for quite a bit of time. The eggs weren’t hot anymore and had a rubbery texture to them, the potatoes were started to taste cold. Our waitress had only checked up on us once and felt like she was ignoring our table while talking to her coworkers more. Payed a total of 44 dollars just to enjoy warm smoothies and rubbery eggs, Atleast the place was pretty and aesthetic. Our waitresses name was Alejandra R.

Amazing place! We walked into the Sleepy Bee in downtown Cincinnati and, after a short 15-minute wait, got our table. Atmosphere was busy and vibrant, with perfect lighting, cozy, modern, and full of energy. It’s truly the perfect spot for a Saturday late brunch. Our server, Sophia, was wonderful, kind, informative, and full of joy. The food was absolutely delicious, and I was thrilled to see so many gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options on the menu. Honestly, it’s a 10/10 experience. I’ll definitely be coming back probably a hundred times! Don’t miss this gem!
Andre Y — Google review
Unfortunately this place did not come near to satisfying our party of 4. We each ordered a meal that was subpar. Our “chorizo” meals did not have typical “chorizo”, just plain breakfast sausage in the scrambled eggs and burrito. When we inquired about the strange choice of “chorizo”, their response was different areas use different sausage as their chorizo. WTH kind of response was that? In that case just put breakfast sausage in your menu item descriptions, not “chorizo”. The food was subpar and took a long time to come out to our table as we watched it just getting dryer and dryer on the kitchen counter. Unfortunately, the food and the service equal in their subpar nature. We had to ask for water, creamers, sugars for coffee, etc. We will definitely never be going back. The ONLY good thing was the oatmeal I ordered. We had to order another one to go so my wife could eat something satisfying. In total, we had pancakes, burritos, scrambled “chorizo” eggs, egg and bacon platter, and oatmeal. Overall review would be a 1 out of 10.
Lon B — Google review
Love sleepy bee, but got takeout from this location and the quality was terrible. Each meal had only TWO potatoes as a side. TWO! The potatoes are my favorite part, and they came unseasoned, with none of the promised sauce. I’d recommend going somewhere else, unless you want to be ripped off.

Sugar n' Spice Restaurant - OTR is a charming 1941 diner that exudes a vintage atmosphere. It has been a beloved spot for over 75 years, attracting a diverse clientele including after-church crowds, college students, and hospital workers. The menu features homestyle cooking such as burgers, omelets, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, steak and eggs, corned beef hash, and breakfast quesadillas.
One of the best brunch spots in the city. Excellent breakfast spread including goetta, wonderful pancakes and breakfast burritos/sandwiches. They also serve a delightful lunch menu with diner classics like Patty Melts and fries. Always a hit with family and friends I bring downtown.

I loved this diner for the the breakfast. Lots to choose from the menu. Recommended for kids as well. The plates are huge, we could have shared a meal if we weren't that hungry. From the greater to the staff, everyone was friendly. A must go to if your visiting.

The food and service was amazing! There was a small wait on Sunday morning but nothing outrageous. The menu has something for everyone. The food was cooked to perfection and every one in our group ate every bit of food we had. Our server was amazing! She was super attentive and took great care of us. The only knock was that it was super loud in the restaurant. You could barely understand what someone across the table from you was saying. Kudos to the staff for being able to hear every order with it being that loud!

Unreal Bang for Buck! The food was great. Highly recommend adding the Goetta to your meal. I had never heard of it, but it’s a fun local flair. Definitely want to try the Goetta Benedict in the future. Pancakes were great, love that the recipe has been around for almost a century, along with the syrup. Potatoes were perfect too! The vibe is super fun for kids as well. A fun hint of nostalgia, plus they get to take home a rubber duck.

This is a cute old school diner. I enjoyed the fun atmosphere and appearance of it. The waitress was nice. They were pretty busy, we were there about 10:30 on a saturday morning. I had a breakfast burrito. It was pretty good. But pretty big! Definitely dont need that much food for breakfast! Overall I enjoyed the experience.

The new, modern diner Sacred Beast is helmed by chef Jeremy Lieb who is most recently of the Boca Group. The menu features dishes that span from classic diner fare to more sophisticated and airy options, with everything taken seriously. Kids are welcome to help out while the pandemic is in effect, but once it subsides they become a crucial part of the restaurant's operations.
4.5 Stars This spot hits the mark for its category. The food was genuinely delicious — a standout being the deviled eggs, which were easily some of the best I’ve had. Service was solid and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere had a very cool, laid-back vibe that elevated the whole experience. Definitely a place worth returning to.
J G — Google review
From the bar, the Sazerac and Hemingway daiquiri were well mixed. My server, Abigail was attentive, very friendly and had timing perfect for each interaction. Thanks Abigail! I loved the deviled eggs unique preparation, the salad fresh as expected and tossed with a nice vinaigrette dressing, the matzah ball soup is a real treat, very rich bone broth seasoned perfectly and served with a generous amount of chicken and vegetables and a wonderful matzah ball. The salmon is well seasoned, was actually cooked more medium well than medium rare and a smaller portion than I expected but still delicious with the brown butter and green beans. Dessert of chocolate pudding was totally accentuated with the crunchy, salty pistachio pieces on top.
Daniel — Google review
Everything about my first time here exceeded expectation. The absolutely sweet young women (sisters) who greeted us when we came in made us feel so welcome. The two guys behind the bar were fun, friendly, and helpful. The food was delicious. As a non-meat-eater I jumped at the idea of a blackened Mahi Reuben, and it did not disappoint. It was messy and glorious at the same time. Not a fan of the French fry dipping sauce, but just didn't eat it. If this picture of the two guys behind the bar doesn't give you the perfect idea of the vibe here, I don't know what would. We absolutely loved the entire experience and I will definitely add Sacred Beast to my regular rotation. I'm an idiot for not doing it before now!

We came bc I had outpatient surgery & the nurses at St E suggested we go for the lemon ricotta pancakes, and that did not disappoint! I took a to-go menu to share with friends because we loved it so much! Definitely a spot to frequent if you like an original & absolutely delicious meal! Service was also amazing.

Who doesn’t love breakfast for dinner? If breakfast isn’t your thing, don’t worry—our appetizers are just as irresistible. Whatever you choose, it’s comfort on a plate. You’ll leave happier than when you walked in. Pro tip: Going to music hall? Stop here first.

Best brunch we have had in a long time! The deviled eggs are remarkable and the Bloody Mary was probably the best I ever had. You've got to try the goetta sausage as well. Excellent quality all around. They have ample seating outside if the weather is nice.

I've been here tons of times over the years. It's always consistent and delicious! It's one of my favorite places to have breakfast/brunch. I would highly recommend trying the bread pudding French toast and cheesy eggs when visiting!

We are regulars at OTR restaurants and have visited most of them in that “cluster” but had not tried Sacred Beast. We live in SE Indiana and it takes us about 35 min to drive in and we know we have to find parking in OTR so we give ourselves plenty of time. Well we arrived ahead of schedule because the drive in and parking were a breeze so we are there about 20 min early. The hostesses told us our table wasn’t ready and it would probably be ready hopefully by 7. They told us we could have a seat and then pointed to 2 chairs that were separated by a coat rack or we could sit at the bar. We chose the bar. We were greeted immediately but then completely ignored for the next almost 15 minutes. Finally got our drinks and our table was ready. We were seated at a two top table (which was great) right next to the patio door. My back is now right where everyone going in and out to the patio has to pass by. This is not relaxing or enjoyable. We made reservations, waited all week, arrived on time and waited patiently to find out that Sacred Beast wasn’t going to give us the same level of attention that we had given them. We went down the street and ate at Kruger’s Tavern where we were greeted and treated like they truly appreciated us. The attached photo is our food at Krueger’s. It was delicious

B&A Street Kitchen is a modern eatery in Cincinnati, offering a fusion of Tex-Mex and Southern cuisine. The restaurant features an industrial-chic ambiance and provides all-day service, including a walk-up window for convenience. Located at 1500 Race St, the establishment has garnered praise for its quick service and pleasant atmosphere. One unique aspect is the ordering process - patrons place their orders at the register and join a waitlist for tables, adding to the charm of the experience.
After a lot of research of where we should have brunch, we landed on B&A and we were definitely not disappointed. It's a small place in the up and coming OTR neighborhood with BIG flavors. From the fresh biscuits to the craft sodas, no one in our party had any complaints. Reasonably priced for the large portions you receive and very friendly staff. It's a table service hybrid type of restaurant. You order at the register when you first walk in and then they bring your food to you and keep up with keeping your drink full and table clear of extra plates as needed and they were always on top of it for the duration of our visit. Everything was clean, service was fast, and the food was great. Will definitely return when I'm in the Cincy area again.

First and last time we will go there. The owner told the patron with a service animal that if the dog barked again, they had to leave. However, she didn't say anything to the worker who was digging in her mouth and didn't wash her hands after before serving a drink and food. The food was OK, but the drink was not sweet enough for me and honestly tasted like the espresso shot had been sitting there too long.

It's a little place but they offer a lot! Between pick up orders, outside seating, a walk up window and excellent food it's worth the slight wait. They even have 2 mens/women's rest rooms instead of those tight gods'awful stalls. Will be going back!

The staff and atmosphere were both nice. The service was exceptionally quick. I was not impressed with the food. Most of it was bland and boring. The goetta was disappointing. Not salty enough or flavorful. Coffee tasted burnt. One food item that was really good was the butter that came with a biscuit. It almost tasted like butter and sour cream mixed together. Delicious!

One of the best brunches I've had in Cincinnati in a while. Service was great and the food was perfect. Ordered a Goetta up and go with the egg over easy. Egg was cooked to perfection and the sandwich was delicious. The pancakes were not overly sweet and the latte was well done. We'll gladly be back again soon!

A ton of very good food choices for breakfast and lunch served fast. Lots of build-your-own and protein options. Omelettes are great, as are the churro pancakes. The salads are filling. I usually add a side of chicken to everything. Popular on the weekends, so get there earlier to shorten your wait. They have a pickup window and outside seating is available.

Oh. M. G. This was amazing!!! I had the huevos rancheros and added pork chorizo. My friend had biscuits and gravy and its HUGE!! Very cute atmosphere and pleasant staff! My only warning is for the kids menu.. the sausage is SPICY!! It's good for adults, maybe not so much for the littles. We plan to come back for lunch!

This is a popular location! There was a short wait of 10 minutes to be seated. While waiting to be seated we looked over the menu. Once seats were available we placed our order at the counter and not even 10 minutes later our delicious breakfast was at our table! This is a place to check out if you’re ever in the over the Rhine area of Cincinnati.

$$$$ be financially ready, Real nice opportunity Monday morning to stop in with my lovely bride as we sat and talked about the future growing old together and spending so much time with each other. The food was great just ordered eggs extra cold bacon and toast. Nice breakfast diner would like it if they were more booths that were comfortable and cozy but I understand all the seating can get people in and out fast. Just one drawback holy smoke the price was through the roof my wife had two eggs scrambled bacon and sausage with a coffee I had three eggs over easy extra bacon and coffee with a side of toast and it was with tip $55. Inflation does not explain this insane price. Seriously five single eggs if they were a dollar each would be five dollars Coffee literally not that much because it wasn’t that good bacon and sausage give it another five dollars. That’s $10 retail price and you charge $55? Holy smoke I have never paid that much for a simple breakfast in my entire life and probably never will again

We waited for quite a while (with our large party) to be seated, because it was so packed, and by no fault of anyone there. But it was so worth it for the delicious brunch we all enjoyed! I had the special Raspberry Ricotta French Toast and oh man, it was good. I’ve never had a bad experience at a First Watch. Highly recommend!!

I love first watch! It’s one of my favorite brunch spots. The menu has a ton of options and I love that you can substitute things you like, like what kind of eggs, and bread you like. They even have a gluten free bread option! The drinks are great as well. It’s totally worth trying. Definitely worth the price.

Everything has always been great at First Watch. We use the app to get in line which saves time. Servers are friendly and attentive and work to make your experience positive. The food was the issue today. We decided to try the new maple bacon croissant sandwich. Unfortunately there was NO bacon on the sandwich. We had to flag down our server who promptly got the bacon for us to add. The sandwich was really good once we had the bacon to add.

Still like favorite item: the trifecta with chicken sausage. Today enjoyed a healthy juice w/turmeric/beet/lemon/etc. Service quick & food served hot. Like quick checkout on phone. But server forgot to put in my to-go order I requested when I initially placed order.

I’m not from the area and decided to stop in for a bite to eat. That’s when I met the most amazing server, Allison! She was so kind and helpful, making me feel welcome right away. The Original Pancake House is a beloved diner chain that has been serving classic American breakfast favorites since the 1950s. With multiple locations, this casual, family-style restaurant offers all-day breakfast featuring signature pancakes and other traditional dishes like omelets and biscuits with gravy. The star of the menu is their extensive selection of pancakes, ranging from simple options like chocolate chip or blueberry to more unique choices such as Swedish pancakes with lingonberries and whipped butter.
The menu goes beyond pancakes, featuring delicious crepes, omelets, and a variety of breakfast proteins. Ingredients are fresh, and the portions are generous, ensuring great value for diners. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, perfect for families or casual meet-ups. Service tends to be friendly and efficient, although peak hours can lead to a wait. Overall, The Original Pancake House is a fantastic choice for breakfast lovers. Whether you're craving sweet or savory, this spot has something to satisfy every palate. Highly recommend!

So many good options we couldn't decide. Went with the German style pancakes. Very good. Staff was fantastic and attentive. Price is great.

While visiting Cincinnati for a weekend getaway, we found The Original Pancake House through a Google search. This is a super neat and very attractive restaurant that is in a strip mall, but is distinguished by its lovely yellow and white striped awning. We were greeted by the friendly staff at the hostess station and seated right away. Our server was very friendly and helped us in deciding what to order from their extensive menu. I had the corn beef hash with poached eggs and rye toast and my husband had the Michaels Special which was eggs Benedict with sausage and sauteed mushrooms and came with a side of potato pancakes. We both had their fresh-squeezed orange juice. Everything was delicious and service was stellar. I think the star of the show was the potato pancakes. Overall this was a flawless meal and anytime I am in Cincinnati, I will be eating here.

Absolutely amazing service, despite being very busy on a Sunday morning! The Dutch baby was unbelievably tasty but the shining star was the apple pancake! We couldn’t come close to finishing either as the portions are huge, but we certainly enjoyed every single bite we could fit in!
Nici — Google review
The portions are big and the people are friendly here. We had the western omelet breakfast with 3 buttermilk pancakes. The omelet uses four eggs, so it was quite hearty. There was nothing special about the pancakes, though that came with the omelet. The freshly squeezed orange juice was pretty good. They were very busy, but the service was fast enough. We got a window seat, which was nice, but there was a fly buzzing around the whole time. We asked the waiter to kill the fly 🪰 and he grabbed a magazine from somewhere and murdered the fly. The clientele was of the older generation. The locals seem to like this pancake house. We met some very friendly locals there and they gave this place very high marks. Overall, I felt like the food was average, but I would come back here again.

I went here with my boyfriend for a breakfast date. IHOP called me after, but this place had me saying "New number, who dis?" If you want that old diner feel without the grime, try this place. If you regret it, well maybe you were rude to the staff because their food is 🔥
Brittany H — Google review
The Original Pancake House has fantastic food—there's no denying it. Every time I go, the pancakes are fluffy, the eggs are cooked perfectly, and the bacon is smokey. It’s the kind of breakfast that hits the spot every time. However, there are some major downsides. The hours are weird and inconsistent, so don’t count on it being open when you think it should be. Service is okay—some servers are friendly and efficient, others not so much, but you’ll usually get what you need without much hassle. Now for the biggest issue: the place is filthy. The ceiling tiles are stained from water damage, the ceiling fans and lights are absolutely caked in dust, and the walls are chipped, worn-out wood that looks like it hasn’t been touched in years. The floors are consistently slippery, which feels both gross and unsafe. If they ever did a deep clean and freshened up the place, it could easily be a 5-star breakfast spot. But until then, just know you’re trading a delicious meal for a dingy environment. Oh... And it's overpriced.
Staci W — Google review
The portion sizes are HUMONGOUS!!! I got an omelet and it was the size of the ENTIRE PLATE. Not just the length of the plate. Im talking the CIRCUMFERENCE OF THE ENTIRE PLATE!!! I literally got 3 meals out of it. I took a girlfriend there for her first time. Asked our waitress a recommendation. She got the Dutch Pancake with strawberries and lemon. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head when she ate that and instantly said she was bringing her husband there for a meal. I wish I could give the 10 STARS!!!!

Red Feather Kitchen is a New American restaurant located in Cincinnati, OH. It offers inventive seasonal American cuisine, craft cocktails, and wine in a chic and playful atmosphere. Thank you Aaron for calling to confirm my reservation! Alyssa was our server and she was very knowledgeable about the menu items - impressive. It was a good mix of cozy and not too busy. But I would recommend you make reservations for sure! This place is a gem. Also s/o to Nigel from the valet. You all are good people, enjoy! Do not skip the Brussels sprouts. I also noticed lots of people ordering the ricotta, I gotta try it on my next visit!
Ninamdot — Google review
overall fantastic dining experience. our server, alyssa was extremely kind and offered great knowledge and advice regarding the menu. we had the smoked garlic bread service to start (not pictured), which was phenomenal to say the least. next, we were gifted a half order of their parmesan truffle fries that were… addictive. then, out came the pork belly steamed buns. these were loaded with pork belly, barbecue, sriracha, and pickle and were unreal. the stars of the show were, however, undoubtedly the 32oz bone-in waygu ribeye (served sliced for sharing) and the brussels sprouts. the ribeye was charred to perfection, and melted in our mouths. the brussels sprouts were also the best we have ever had; they were tossed in honey mustard and served with candied walnuts (i believe they were walnuts). finally, somehow we managed to finish it all off with their amazing s’mores dessert. this meal was, as stated previously, an experience, as all meals should be. i would more than recommend trying Red Feather Kitchen if you have not already.

Absolutely phenomenal from start to finish! We were immediately greeted with the aroma from their wood-fired stove. As someone who loves a good bonfire, it was a nice surprise. We started with whipped ricotta. It was super creamy and had a bit of honey for that kiss of sweet. The bread was perfect: crispy on the outside but soft and floofy on the inside. I chose the roasted beet salad while R had the asparagus soup. I could have licked my plate. For mains I chose the filet and the Hubbs had the pork chop. My steak was perfectly prepared and came with the most creamy and unique avocado side I’ve ever experienced. R proclaimed his pork chop the best he’s had since the county fair of his youth. That’s high praise! We found a little pocket for some s’mores dessert. It was one of the pricier dinners we’ve had, but it was worth every penny.

My favorite dining experience I have had in a while. First off, Camille, our server, was fantastic. She gave great service and wonderful recommendations as well as a full rundown of the menu since we had never been there before. The table started out with the ricotta baguettes and the crispy chicken skins- both were phenomenal. I got the scallops which were cooked to perfection. The others got the gnocchi, shrimp and grits, and the burger; everyone loved their entree. We will definitely be back!
Clarissa M — Google review
Excellent service. Waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. Was able to taste a few wines before making a decision. Very hard to choose what mealto get. Salmon was delicious. Whipped ricotta was very tasty. . Small seating area. Noise level was good. Excited to go back and try the steak.
Angie M — Google review
I supposed I am putting a high expectation as they advertised themselves as a upscale dinning environment. First of all, don't get me wrong! the food are awesome, I was super surprised about their pork chop and braised pork which blew my mind! However, the service was not what I anticipated. When they place our utensils, they hand the utensils to us instead of placing them in the right place. The way they provided the services just not that upscale.
Freddie P — Google review
I honestly had never heard of Red Feather until this Christmas when my Aunt gifted me a card to this establishment. I wasn't sure what to expect and that may be why my review is so high. The restaurant was small but the flavors were outlandishly large. The chef and kitchen pay fine attention to the smallest details and it's so very evident. I went with the winter menu Alabama White BBQ which is totally out of the norm for me, but came with a rave review from the waiter. He was not wrong. The mayo BBQ and peppery rub with honey mustard pecans brussel sprouts was wonderful and to die for. The prep took a bit longer to come but the wait was every bit worth it when I got to dig into the country comfort food to mix that chicken and cheddar grits together. I witnessed the 38oz Ribeye and the Filet Mignon all delicately plated with yums from my party. The location and ambiance make this a perfect date night trip, although it'll cost you, it's well worth it.
Scott T — Google review
Run right now to get some of the best food you'll ever have. This is an experience too! It's so lovely. Crispy chicken skins. Amazing. Steak. Amazing. Parmesan truffle fries I died went to heaven and came back when I tasted them. So good. Honestly everything they made was so well executed and delicious I was amazed by it! 10/10 go!!

Stephanie was our server this morning, Better food and prices for the amount of food and quality of food. I swear the chorizo biscuits and gravy still has my mouth watering. Everything tasted great, amazing mixed drinks too. Service was amazing and very family friendly. Treated us like family. Definitely a place you have to try for yourself!

Wild Eggs was a good experience, we made a reservation in the morning we arrived but they said it didn’t register but we still got in right away. After we were sat our server didn’t come acknowledge us for 15 minutes or so. They said they thought others were joining us but still strange to not come take drink orders. The food was very good. I had the breakfast lasagna which I was very pleasantly surprised with. My wife had a skillet she really enjoyed with French toast. We also tried the cinnamon roll which was okay, kinda hard on the top which we didn’t enjoy but the middle was tasty. The fresh orange juice mimosas were a hit and the coffee was just okay. Overall would try it again as the menu is vast and had a lot of things that looked good!
Connor L — Google review
The coffee drink I ordered was very tiny and underwhelming. I got the eggs benedict with the fried potatoes, the food was good. Although, they were out of the bourbon pecan crepes that I originally ordered. When my friend got the table, he said that there would be children, when my children came to the table they did not give them kids menus. I had to go out of my way and ask for kid menus, then once we got them and minutes later, I had to go out of my way again to ask for crayons. Why do I need to ask for these things? It should be standard practice. Basic things. Our waitress was nice but when she gave us our check she said she was the only one working at this time. They were not very busy and I saw two other workers in the corner but I'm not sure what they were doing if they could not be waitressing. I would not go back.

My colleague and I stopped by this joint to try it out during our work visit. The atmosphere was great and we all agreed that the food was tasty. I got the country fried steak and was surprised how big it was, definitely a bang for the buck. Our only complaint if any, was that service was a bit slow for being the only ones in the restaurant at the time, however, our server was nice and knowledgeable about the menu. We recommend stopping by, just give yourself a little extra time.

To start off, lattes were very weak like they didn’t change the espresso when they brewed the 2nd cup. Food had no flavor, they completely forgot to add seasoning. My steak omelette was spoiled and the waitress (Michelle) told me it might be might tastebuds. I ordered Texas toast and she assured me that it was Texas toast but it was just regular toast and over toasted. My husband ordered poached eggs but got hard boiled eggs. I have been in the industry for a very long time and I know what food is supposed to look and taste like. Very disappointed in the whole experience.

Cool place with friendly staff and atmosphere. The food was great. The sandwich I ordered was the same one Guy tried when he came in and featured this place on Triple D. The way the bacon onion jam paired with the carolina gold and that think pork belly definitely had me wanting to order another one to go but I was headed to The Bush concert and didn't want it to get ruined in the car. My waitress was such a sweetheart. She was knowledgeable and friendly and accommodating to anything we asked or needed. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town for anything.

Came here after watching an episode of Diners Drive ins and Dives...sadly we were extremely disappointed. The service staff were wonderful!!!! There were 2 tables of customers that had both already eaten when we arrived and still waited over 20 mins for our food. My husband got the Pittmaster platter with smoked turkey and burnt ends. The turkey and red beans and rice were good, but the burnt ends were swimming in sauce. I got the Pendleton Porker sandwich and had to order my side separately at an extra cost. The sandwich was mediocre and not the sandwich that was shown on DDD and about half the size of it( you can see it was limp bacon, not pork belly) and the pulled pork was barely there, but the red beans and rice were flavorful. The rib tips that we ordered were nothing but cartilage and not very good. Unless you order the red beans and rice to go, I wouldn't waste my time or money here.
Ella S — Google review
I ordered the Pendleton Porker with beans & rice followed with mac n’ cheese. The sandwich was packed with flavor, I savored every bite to have it last longer. Sides were good, complimented the sandwich well. BUT THE BANANA PUDDING Look, this pudding made me think I now understand how Kanye West stayed with Kim Kardashian longer (because she made good banana pudding). This banana pudding is light, sweet, and all around probably one of the best deserts in the city. I’m telling you- you NEED to try it!

We picked up a large carry-out order today for a family party. The food was amazing. My personal favorite was the pulled pork but we had plenty of votes for the ribs, brisket, turkey and mac n cheese. It was easy to place our order online and the food was ready at Noon as requested. We did have a small glitch with our order but the manager immediately reached out and resolved the problem. He exceeded my expectations, and I appreciate his thoughtfulness. We have ordered carry-out in the past and have also eaten in the restaurant. Lucius Q never disappoints. Highly recommend!

My friend came in town for Sunday Funday and he was craving BBQ. I have yet to try any other BBQ spots here in the city, mostly the suburbs and I’ve lived in the Cincy/NKY area since this past August . It was the first place to pop up on my Apple Maps so we decided to go and give it a shot. When we first walked in, we almost didn’t stay because there was maybe one a couple that was sitting down and just the workers, at first so we waited at the host station which is down the steps when you first come in. The host told us to sit anywhere and we did . The food and the drinks did not disappoint at all . My friend had the platter and the steak quesadilla special they had for $8.99 and I had the Pendleton Porker which was once featured on the Food Network show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” which is one of my favorite shows as well . We were there for less than an hour and the waitress was amazing as well, I believe her name was Jamela. She definitely kept us in the loop with the happenings in the city for us as well. Great food and great atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back soon!

You gotta stop in here if you're in Cincinnati. Excellent BBQ & cheap beers! There is always sports on & looks like there is live music at night (maybe on weekends). The pork belly melts in your mouth. We got the Pen and the Farm to split for 10 people, and it was definitely enough food. The mac and cheese was also fantastic.

I was genuinely blown away by the food here! The burnt ends were melt-in-your-mouth and wonderfully caramelized. The dry rub wings were excellent and I regretted only getting six! Loved the hot lucius and bama white sauces on the wings. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the Cincinnati area!

Proud Rooster Restaurant is a small, legendary diner located in Clifton on Ludlow. The interior exudes vintage charm and the place is known for its classic breakfast dishes and exceptional chicken made by the renowned 'Chicken Man.' Despite its basic digs, this daytime eatery offers a cozy atmosphere perfect for enjoying comfort classics like omelets and burgers. While there may be a wait for a table due to its popularity, the quality of food at affordable prices makes it worth it.
A cozy and nostalgic breakfast spot with a relaxed diner ambiance. The service is friendly, and the interior and prices transport you back to the 70s in the best possible way. We enjoyed the French Toast, Cheese Omelette, and a side of Spicy Goetta—all tasted delicious and comforting, with the Goetta adding a great kick that complemented the other dishes. Note the place is cash only, so be sure to bring some before you stop by.

Best diner breakfast I've had in my 3 years here in Cincy. The pancakes were absolutely perfect. And the prices are great too (just remember to bring cash). Only wish I had started coming here sooner. If there's one downside, it's that there were no meat alternatives to pork. There were no turkey variations and I couldn't get chicken either.
Alexander N — Google review
Went to proud rooster many times during undergrad for breakfast and finally made it back a few years later. This will always be one of my favorite hidden gems in Clifton. You cannot beat the prices especially for the quality of food. This time I finally tried the fried chicken and it was so good! Hope to make it back again soon when I am in Cincinnati one time as this place is such a good eat. It is cash only- which we knew going in as we’ve been before but just a heads up if you’ve never been. We’ve gotten all kinds of things on the menu before from pancakes to French toast to omelettes, hoagies and more and have never been disappointed.

Yard House is a high-end sports bar chain known for its extensive menu of New American cuisine and an impressive selection of draft beers. With 250 taps offering imported, craft, and specialty ales and lagers, it's a great spot to unwind with friends or family. The restaurant in Cincinnati is particularly popular due to its convenient location near Smale Riverfront Park.
Had a great experience. The food and atmosphere was great. My hubby enjoyed his steak and my son had salmon salad. My espresso martini was the best I've had in a long time. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This was my first visit to the restaurant, and it will also be my last. The food was disappointing. I ordered a burger, which I knew might not be the best choice, but I expected it to be tasty. Unfortunately, it was salty and tasted stale. The service was poor as well. I asked the waiter for some tabasco sauce, and although he said he would bring it, he forgot. When I reminded him, he claimed I hadn’t asked for it. He also seemed a bit upset and blamed the loud TV for the misunderstanding. Additionally, the soft drinks were supposed to be refillable, but not once did he come by to ask if we wanted anything or if our food was okay.

Food was good, good menu friendly staff and great atmosphere! They were slammed when we went and service was still excellent and polite. Great beers on tap and huge selection.

Perfect pregame vibes—fun, lively atmosphere that got us hyped for the game! The servers were absolutely fantastic—friendly, fast, and on point. We loved everything about it and can’t wait to go back! 🙌⚾🍻

I’ve been to the Yard House in Cincinnati and also the one in Indy, and honestly, I love this place for the vibe and some of the appetizers. The Brussels sprouts are a standout—absolute perfection every time. Crispy, flavorful, and probably my favorite thing on the menu. I ordered the Cajun jambalaya with jasmine rice, shrimp, and crawdads. It was okay—decent but not amazing. I expected it to be spicier and a bit more saucy; it felt a little dry and underwhelming for a dish that should pack some punch. We also had hamburgers. Nothing to write home about—just basic. The bacon on one was burnt, which definitely didn’t help. Overall, the place is still a win for me because of the atmosphere and some consistently good small plates like the Brussels sprouts, but the entrees felt a little “meh” on this visit.

Some of the best food ive ever had. We ordered the margherita pizza and nashville hot chicken sandwich. Highly recommend!

The Chicken nacho platter was huge and a great value. Fresh ingredients tasted great. The Korean tacos were amazing. The negatives were the shrimp tacos they were very fishy. The rice a bean are okay nothing special.

Taste of Belgium in Over-the-Rhine is a stylish establishment that serves up Belgian-inspired dishes and boasts an extensive selection of beers, wines, and cocktails. Since its inception at Findlay Market in 2007, the eatery has expanded to multiple locations. Renowned for its sweet and caramelized Belgian waffles, the restaurant's brunch offerings have been pivotal to its rapid growth.
This was my first time at this location. I went on a Sunday morning and it wasn’t busy so we were able to be seated right away. I ordered the chicken biscuit and gravy with a caramel, apple, walnut waffle on the side. Everything tasted phenomenal! The waffle was so cute and unique. I’ll be sure to come again.

Canr came here after having a really good recommendations from a friend and the place really lived up to the hype. Husband and I got a salad and the chicken and waffle plate. Not going to lie. Everything on the menu looked extremely delicious and extremely creative so it was hard to make a choice here. Garden Salad - Added some Grilled Chicken to the salad and it was actually quite a good one. Ingredients were all fresh and went really well together. Didn't even need to add much dressing to it. Eckerlin goetta - We ordered this on the side because its one of the must try items in Cincinnati. Quite a unique flavor and texture, but actually something I would recommend trying. The Fried Chicken went believeably well with that Waffle. No wonder it's one of the popular dishes! The biggest highlight for me was that waffle. I don't know what it was with that waffle but it was a different type of Belgian waffle which was dense and cakey with a little bit of sugary crust outside and it was so so so beautiful. I noticed that they sell some waffles to go as well and little gift bags and that ready would be a nice thing to take for home or even to give someone. Could not recommend this food more! Only reason I'm taking off a point here is the service was extremely slow. We had to call them a couple times to add something on and had to actually follow up and ask where it was. Same thing with asking for an extra waffle where they just took so long even though it was quite a simple thing to bring out.

Driest, coldest, most unwelcoming staff ever. Smiled at the bartender. Nothing. Smiled at several servers. Nothing. The hostess is so soft spoken and nonchalant she should be working back of house not with customers. And to top it off I waited 20 minutes for pretzels with beer cheese and was given stiff, crusty, disgusting mush. I live in OTR and just wanted a quick snack. I regret stopping in here.

I think it’s a cute place. I would love to go for a dine in experience. Staff was superrrrrr nice and made sauce recommendations. Chicken could have been seasoned a little more. The chicken sandwich was still good. I definitely liked the fried one better than the grilled.

The music play list and mimosa flight was phenomenal. When visiting Cincy, I'll definitely come back. The waffles are unique and chicken was well seasoned and. Delicious!

The service we got here was good! But the food was disappointing. We came because the mussels gratin sounded amazing, but they were out of that, so we ended up ordering the Brussels sprouts, a Niçoise salad with tuna, and a brunch burger. Thoughts: The Brussels sprouts were pretty good but so salty, and were missing the bacon. The brunch burger was good and the waffle bun was a cute idea, but in reality it was really difficult to eat. (Plan to use a fork and knife, which isn’t a big deal.) The sad thing was the Niçoise salad. The dressing was greasy, the fingerling potatoes were missing, and most tragically- the tuna was overcooked, mealy and dry. I actually spit it out- it was too bad to even swallow. I’ve never actually had tuna this bad before. (I felt bad complaining but it was inedible.) They offered us dessert, and we got a strawberry crepe which was pretty good. So no complaints about the service- our server was really friendly and helpful. But I wouldn’t recommend, or at least I’d stear clear of the Niçoise salad completely.

Bakersfield OTR is a popular taco joint in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati, known for its lively atmosphere and extensive drink menu. The restaurant offers classic margaritas as well as unique flavors like pineapple and orange hibiscus. Featured on the Food Network, it's a favorite spot for tequila and craft cocktails.
Incredible, flavorful food! We did the meal deal for two which is so so worth it. The short rib queso was seriously fantastic, along with the stuff poblano and empanadas. All the tacos we got had wonderful flavor and were stuffed full. We were so happy with the food we received! In regard to service, we felt rushed by our server. The food came out super quick so we felt like we had to eat quickly to keep the heat of our food… We expressed that we’d like to space things out, but that didn’t happen unfortunately. Overall happy though!

A one and done. The location is great, the drinks were pretty good and the service was great as well. The outdoor seating was nice. Its the food. It was just okay. We tried 3 different tacos and none were anything to get excited about. I likely won't be back.

Bakersfield is the perfect spot for a hangout chill vibe for dinner! Our server Grace was amazing. She walked my party through the menu and described items to a T. She was super attentive and a delight. The seasonal Apple Cider Margarita is a must try for the fall. Started with an array of salsas, queso and guac and all were so flavorful. Entrees came out fast and presented beautifully. The vibe was amazing with Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash on rotation and football on the TVs. 10/10 would recommend!

Bakersfield is always a very good option to get good food and good drinks. I already know 5 locations, INDIANAPOLIS, COLUMBUS, NASVILLE, PITTSBURGH AND OF COURSE CINCINNATI. The food i the same quality in all the locations, I recommend the milanesa torta, the baja tacos, short rib tacos and the short rib queso 🫕, to drink the Bakersfield Margarita is the best in the menu, you can get spicy but traditional is always a good way to be happy, I love the vibes and the service is always friendly.

Food was great and the happy hour deal is awesome. Most notably though, a waitress noticed me waiting for a bathroom with a very upset baby. She immediately asked if I needed anything and I explained that I was needing to nurse. She took me down to their offices to a private bathroom, and brought me a chair to nurse my baby in. She was exceptionally nice and any business that supports mothers automatically has my business.

Tacos and the scene at this place is super awesome. Nice place to relax, people watch, eat good food. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The food was very amazing. We got the guacamole and chips for an appetizer super fresh guacamole the salsas were addicting it's a must. The carnitas taquitos were good too. We tried different tacos all of them came out hot and freshly made they were all phenomenal. The spicy one was the best. Drinks were good. It's a good date night place for sure. 100% recommend!

We went for an early dinner with other family members. Our first visit. Menu looked great. I ordered the potato taco and it was tasty but it was mostly peppers and onion. It had a tiny tiny half of a very small new potato. It was about the size of a $.25 coin. Staff was attentive. They sat us behind the DJ and even though the music was very good, it was also too loud & was difficult for us to chat as a group amongst ourselves.

Incredible spot on our travel through Cincy. We got the Black Hawk burger and it was so good! two smash burgers really hit the spot. We got the homemade icecream after, it was so good i forgot to take a picture until it was too late. The staff was very inviting and friendly. 10/10 would recommend. We had Jeremy as our server, one of the nicest people I’ve met!

I had dinner and breakfast here with my mom. First and foremost, the service was lovely both days: attentive, kind, and respectful! Both waitresses engaged in conversation with us and were very present. My highlights: the shrimp toast was amazing! So so fresh. The bread had a wonderfully soft texture that paired perfectly with the cold, crunchy shrimp salad. My breakfast was delicious. The potatoes were to die for-crispy skin, lots of flaky sea salt—perfect. They gave me a delicious tart jam to pair with my buttery, toasted sourdough. So fantastic. My mom didn’t love her breakfast as much as me. She had the eggs Benedict and said it was “okay.” She wished the coffee was stronger/richer. The homemade lemon cotton candy was creative and refreshing. The salmon dinner didn’t 100% meld for me. I loved the sauce and salmon, but the greens could have used a light vinaigrette. The potato chips didn’t add much to the dish for me. My mom got the gnocchi goat cheese and chicken. So deliciously rich with lots of great flavors and yummy breadcrumbs. We also got the cold asparagus-quite tasty! Overall a must try! Lots of creative and delicious meals.

We had reservations at 6:15 on a Saturday night. We were seated right away and our server Sean (sp) was lovely and very attentive. The space is open but cozy at the same time. We started with two glasses of the French rose- a well balanced wine that went with the dishes we ordered. We were torn between the focaccia with butter and oil, or the fancy focaccia. Sean suggested the fancy one. The focaccia was excellent, but it was covered with so much cheese (not stated in the description), that we could hardly taste the prosciutto jam. We would have much preferred to taste the fluffy bread with a good olive oil or butter and keep it pure. Our second starter was the spicy Ahi tuna toast. It arrived with a very unappetizing looking mixture of a tuna and black garlic mixture that did not look at all like we expected. And the pieces of brioche on which it was served was too thick. The taste was fantastic though. If this dish were tweaked to look better, we would order it again. For our mains we had the Wagyu ravioli, and the Salmon Au Poivre. Upon arrival at the table, the ravioli looked like it had too much sauce, but the sauce was so well-balanced and lighter than it appeared. It was SO delicious. The beef inside was tender and had great beefy flavor. You would think a pepper sauce with 5 kinds of pepper (Sean told us this) would be too strong for salmon, but oh no it was not! The salmon was cooked to a perfect medium rare and had crispy skin. Highly recommend. The bean puree underneath was tasty, but there was no discernable grilled artichoke in the frisee salad. There were two tiny piece of what tasted like canned artichokes. We have eaten at Metropole over the years with a few different chefs at the helm. Chef Cova is making a strong first impression with us. We will joyfully return to try more of his menu.

SO SO GOOD. Favorites were the wedge salad, garlic focaccia, and beef tartare, but everything else was so yummy. Very kind staff on a busy Friday night and everything was delicious. Will for sure come back again!
Clarinda T — Google review
Our server was knowledgeable, funny, and attentive. Could not ask for more. My wife and I had 4 cocktails and we both loved all 4 of them. We had the tomato and mozzarella to start, it was light and flavorful. For the mains we had the Amish chicken and the salmon with white beans. We enjoyed both dishes, I thought the chicken was maybe the best fried chicken I ever had. We got dessert too and guess what.... I have been to a lot of hotel restaurants and usually they are lack luster at best but this one is a true gem. The Metropole is easily one of Cincinnati's best restaurants hidden right in front of us.
Brandon W — Google review
I have been coming to Metropole since 2018. While it's always been a good experience, Chef Cory, the current executive chef, has elevated the dining experience to a level that is on par with Agni in Columbus. The skill demonstrated in his dishes is not commonly found in Cincy and will delight even the most experienced restaurant patrons. The gnocchi is outstanding and gave me pause after every bite. The beef cheek ravioli contains layers of complex flavors that somehow comes together so well. Finally, the cruller is made fresh and so delicious and warm that all of us had to order our own. Every dish we had was memorable and culminated in the best meal I've had in years. Highly recommend checking this place out, especially if you haven't been for a while.
Bennis P — Google review
I went to brunch here this past Saturday, and the food and service was amazing! I got the B.E.C. Sandwich; highly recommend. And if you get the chance to, definitely try to get Kennedi as your waitress. She was so much fun and just made the whole experience for our first time coming here that much better. It was a great start to the day. And we will for sure be back in the future!
Elijah S — Google review
Nice ambiance but the restaurant smelled like sewage. We waited over an hour for food; it was modestly busy but not busy enough the justify a wait this long. Food was served hot and was very good. The service at the bar was inattentive and vaguely snarky. The manager delivered our food and made modest apologies for the wait but no offer to make it right. I'm just visiting but would not go back.

The restaurant pays homage to Chef Jose Salazar's heritage and his mother's traditional cooking methods. The menu at Mita's is described as eclectic and farm-inspired, featuring a mix of traditional and modern dishes from both regions.
A lovely place for a dinner downtown! We split four tapas between two people and it made for a perfect dinner. The cocktails were smooth and well-balanced in their flavors, and our waiter’s recommendations for tapas were perfect. I highly recommend the tostones and avocado, the octopus, and the pork belly tacos. The meal left us feeling pleasantly full but not so stuffed that we couldn’t enjoy the rest of our night. Can’t wait to go back!

I’ve been wanting to try Mira’s for a long time. I made a dinner reservation online. I got the jicama ensalada, it’s was a little bitter but still fresh and served as a good starter. We got the ceviche de camarones, so shrimp. So good, very fresh a little tart. I love plantains any style but they complimented well. The short rib empanadas we my favorite. The had so much flavor and I loved the sauce. I also really enjoyed the pork belly tacos they were so so tender. The bartender made us a blanco cucumber marg as a dealer choice that was perfect. I will say there spicy marg are spicyyy. You’ve been warned lmao

Juan was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We made the mistake of not being very hungry, because everything was incredible and we wish we were able to try more. We tried the white sangria, tostones y guacamole, jamón serrano, patatas bravas, and tacos de lengua. The tostones and tacos were my two favorites. Their flavors were well balanced and comforting. Overall it was a very nice experience and it makes senses that they are a James Beard nominated restaurant.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spectacular dining experience at Mita’s! From start to finish, this was one of the most enjoyable meals we’ve had in Cincinnati. Every small bite was a flavor explosion; just one after another, each more creative and delicious than the last. The burgers were excellent, the cheeseboard was fantastic, and the empanadas were absolutely to die for. And then came dessert… the cheesecake and cookies were beyond amazing; the perfect sweet finish. As good as the food was, what really made the evening special was the service. Our server, Carmen, was outstanding; engaging, polite, and full of great conversation that made us feel right at home. She truly elevated the experience. As the owners of Grounded All Day Café in Lexington, we know the importance of both spectacular food and genuine hospitality; Mita’sdelivers both in spades. Whenever we leave our hometown for Cincinnati, it’s such a joy to find a place that makes us feel so welcomed and so well fed. Five stars all the way!

Recommend making a reservation. Go to spot for anniversary and special occasions. I’m not a fan of margaritas but Mitas margaritas are top notch! Pork belly tacos are heaven. Always go for the bread with romesco, shishito peppers, hamburguesas, and tostones and guac. Favorite restaurant in the area!

I love every single dish I have ever received. If you think you know what's it's going to taste like, expect to be impressed as they somehow have a way of elevating flavors I didn't know was possible. I dream of the bread and olive oil, I have tried to recreate the shishito peppers, and I will always order the chef's specials. Mitas seems to outdo themselves over and over again. This is my favorite restaurant, hands down the best you can get.

My friends and I really enjoyed our meal here. We had a bar reservation and our server/bartender, Sarahi, was not only friendly and accommodating, but made stellar recommendations on food and beverage when asked. The food was quite good, and the drinks were great. I really liked their cold brew martini, and their house cocktail menu was interesting and well curated. All of their desserts were incredible! (They even gave us a complimentary cookie and polaroid photo since we were celebrating a couple birthdays!)

My wife and I enjoyed our time at the restaurant for dinner. The bread and salad nibbles were fantastic. While I wanted the salmon I changed to the steak at the recommendation of the waiter to the steak. It was over seasoned but a great cut of beef. My wife liked but didn’t love her schnitzel. Good wine selection. Great service.

I came here to celebrate a friend's new job (sadly she's moving away to save lives in NYC). Firstly they were accommodating: gave her a mask as she forgot hers, and got us mimosas (yummy!) despite it being after brunch hours. Ambiance was good with safety precautions in mind. Food: the bread (grilled and crispy) with bone marrow butter...was FANTASTIC! The pork jowl with grits was also very good, the pork was tender but had a nice crispy and seasoned outer coating, with tasty grits. The burger was very good as well, with proper bacon on it. With the chuck roast sandwich, the meat was bland, and despite having the jam spread with it that's both sweet and spicy, this was not enough to make it a dish I would recommend. The fries and the dark chocolate pot de creme were average. Overall, the service was very good and I would recommend trying Salazar.

Delectable cocktails, scrumptious food and a great server made our visit to Salazar a truly fine dining experience. Their way of cooking Brussels sprouts is simply the best, oysters sandwich is a must try, and falafel was so tasty and moist that I had to watch out not to swallow my tongue. The three cocktails we enjoyed - love letter, fresh heat and killer queen - tasted as delicious as dangerously smooth . Save some space for dessert, their house-made icecream opens up in your mouth with layers of yumminess.

Salazar, by Chef Jose Salazar, was the best experience and surprise we had on a 24h connection in Cincinnati. I would say it's a special diamond in the city and a must go, if you have the opportunity. A reservation is recommended. We didn't get a seat inside (our fault), so we had our dinner on the tables outside, which was also pretty good. The service is exceptional. They know a lot about the ingredients and food they are serving, they help you choosing drinks, make sure you don't run out of water, and always with a smile and great mood. We chose Salazar because it is presented as a farm-inspired, local and regional sourced restaurant, that reflects a truly Cincinnati experience. I believe the menu changes over time and season, as I didn't find everything that was on the photos. Anyway, we did the right coices. 🦪 oyster sandwich - the most surprising and tasty dish! Very well balanced with a fried oyster and spicy kimchi, and the flavours of the radish sprouts and garlic mayo. It was an appetizer, but this could easily turn into my main dish. 🐟 Grilled Hamachi Collar - so well cooked, soft, tasty, and with a perfect ginger-tumeric sauce. Sided with some crispy black rice crackers. 🍔 The double smashburguer - from local grass fed cows, which shows how Salazar cares about what he puts in his restaurant. Asked for the extra egg. Didn't regret my choice. Perfect pickle (i would love them to be home made, but I am no sure), with aged cheddar and a potato bun, was for sure one of the top burguers I had. 🍗 Amish chicken paillard - it was not my dish, but I could try it. Was surprisingly soft inside, and crispy outside. 🍨 There was still room for a sweet treat. We were enchanted by the honey ice cream and the coffee ice cream. We had both, and although I was mostly curious about the first, it was the coffee one that won. It was creamy, strongly flavoured and delicious. Prices, for a non-american, portuguese visitor, are of course a bit high. We paid around $200 for 3 people (including tax and tip). But it is worth it and it is a fair price. I am probably not returning to Cincinnati again, so if you have the opportunity, please do visit this amazing restaurant. Congrats to all the team at Salazar!

I loved my experience at Salazar Restaurant (3/30/23). Great food, great service and wonderful ambience, overall a real treat! Food: - we started with the little fried oyster sandwich. Our server suggested we order one per guest which was a good recommendation. They are small (about two bites) but they are packed with flavor- delicious buns and kimchi with a bite, would definitely order this again. - also got the 89s acre green salad. This was probably my least favorite dish- but still pretty good, felt it was a little salty, and a bit too much cheese (not even sure how that could be possible because I love cheese but I wanted to taste the greens more). Mains: -got the falafel which was cooked to perfection! Crispy outside and soft center. Definitely add the mixed greens to this order it will really elevate the dish, the greens were INCREDIBLE, probably one of my most favorite salads ever. The naan is also amazing, super well cooked soft and crispy at the same time. I loved this dish! - my partner got the burger. It was good and added a side of fries. The max sauce is Siracha mayo. - would have probably ordered the cookie for dessert but I’m they were sold out by the time we ordered 😕 - drinks were great. Would recommend the love letter cocktail and the J&T (non alcoholic) was super tasty and fresh. The J&T was served with a metal straw- sustainability for the win! SERVICE: - we had Allen M. Super caring server with great suggestions. We also asked for recommendations of what to do while in town and he made a hand written list with about 10 places and things to do with little descriptions- so incredibly nice. AMBIENCE: - weird to mention the floor at a place but the tile work is incredible and compliments the yellow decor. Overall a really special gem of a place, will return next time we are in town!

The oyster and kimchi sandwich was great! The main dishes tasted a little too strong for us, but I still liked the Ohio wagyu steak. The cheese cake itself was good, but I didn’t think the toppings were needed. We liked the chocolate mousse. The staff were pleasant.

Update: Had to have it one last time at the original location before they temporarily close to reopen in a new larger location. Harvest Moon cocktail is an aesthetical and delectable delight Restaurant Week is building momentum with a visit to Salazar - the eponymous OTR restaurant by Chef Jose Salazar Supreme dining experience. Fine dining without being overly pretentious or breaking the bank. 1. Cocktail: Love Letter Refreshing spring evening drink while the sun was still out. For food, went with the Spring restaurant week special dinner menu 2. First course: Parisian Gnocchi. Intricate and Exquisite! Subtle medley of savory flavors and textures (crisp, soft, smooth) with each ingredient shining on its own and coming together harmoniously! And something to be said about the color of the presentation. Felt it represented a bright spring evening perfectly. This was a grandslam home run gnocchi creation by Chef Salazar and his team. Probably the best gnocchi dish I have had, ever! 3. Second course: Blue corn Hurache Vegetables in this really pleasant artisanal presentation of Hurache included English peas, radishes and asparagus as part of the spring vegetables medley, along with refried beans, salsa and crema- all delicately elevating the star of the show - a perfectly prepared Hurache! Great follow up to the gnocchi first course. Jumping across the pond seamlessly between the two courses. 4. Third course Dessert: dark chocolate pot de creme with chopped strawberries and vanilla whip. Well , let's just say this unleashed a bit of a sweet tooth in me...and I ended up overshooting the restaurant week menu to order a 4th course add-on dessert 😆 5. Fourth Course: Warm fresh cookie, did I mention warm?... just the perfect way to finish a cool spring night I leave Salazar a happy and full human....again ! Where to next on Wednesday??

Fast food restaurant
Marx Bagels is a long-standing kosher deli that has been serving up an array of bagels, sandwiches, and baked goods since 1969. Located at 9701 Kenwood Road in Blue Ash, it's the go-to spot for those craving New York-style attitude with their meal. Certified by Vaad Hoier of Cincinnati, Marx Bagels prides itself on its preservative-free, boiled-then-baked bagels available in 30 different varieties daily.
I grew up in Cincinnati and recently returned for the weekend. My wife knows how important “The Bagel Shop” is to me. In the 80’s they were located on Reading Road near Amberly and I would ride my bike to The Valley Shopping mall for two egg and cheese on an onion bagel. As I got older it was a tuna melt on sesame. The owner his children, everyone was involved and their family knew our families. I’m sure it’s similar today. Bagels taste the same—and that’s a good thing!

I'm a native New Yorker living just outside of Cincinnati, and as anyone in my shoes knows, getting good bagels and pizza outside what was once "home" is a challenge. Most of the bagel places around here are just corporate chains, and while they'll do in a pinch, there's literally nothing special about them. It wasn't until I had an insatiable craving for a good salt bagel that I wound up doing some deeper research and poking around, and I stumbled upon Marx Bagels on Kenwood Rd in Blue Ash. Itch scratched! A legit bagel store with a variety and quality you'll never find in the chains. A clean operation and they haven't disappointed me yet! I come from across town (Butler County) to get my fix on! Please never go out of business!!!
Jayson L — Google review
I have been here a few times before and it was okay. I went today and had a terrible interaction/food experience. The guy at the register only greeted and was friendly to the people who looked like him. Got short with my husband when he asked about the salmon bagel. Talked down to him and messed up our order. The way the dude was acting I’m sure he did it on purpose. I don’t trust him with my food. I had to scrape off the cream cheese from my bagel because it tasted like someone put a handful of salt in it. Soda was watered down bagel was hard. I would have let this go if the guy up front wasn’t so mean. I would have let it go if he was consistently mean to everyone but nope. I will never visit this place again. From the crappy bagel to the terrible interaction. I’m done. I’m telling everyone I know to stay a way from this place. I should have asked for my money back. Waste of time and money. Never again.
Cindy — Google review
The cashier was very helpful when it came to picking bagel varieties and cream cheese flavors...they have a ton of both! The desserts looked great, will be going back for those. I love the setup of the place but a lot of the tables were dirty.
George — Google review
Are the people giving 5 star reviews okay? This is quite possibly the worst bagel I’ve ever purchased from a deli. It was incredibly dense, dry, and flavorless. The service and atmosphere were fine, but the food is borderline inedible.
Millie M — Google review
Got the egg sandwich bagel. The egg was burnt. No real half and half for coffee only the processed creamers. Do not recommend.
Jennifer — Google review
Customer since I was a kid in the 70s and they had the Roselawn and Springdale locations. I will not be going back. I’ve been waiting to review them after the owner sold to someone new. The bagels are nothing like they were under the quirky bagel guy. Service is not the same but whatever, as long as you still sell a good product, I’ll buy. The bagels are dry, tasteless, and this (very) last batch that I got was uncooked. This has got to be some sort of health code violation and food safety issue not to mention disgusting. Utterly disgusting, the entire middles of the bagel are uncooked, and the outside is hard and dry as a bone. Disappointing. I’ve had decent bagels at a couple of other places in town but for sure will not be back here. That is raw dough you’re seeing. Even my grown kids who loved Marx threw them away. Previous owner, who could be a pain, would never have let this happened, you would’ve been fired on the spot.

Restaurant
Gomez Salsa OTR is a popular Mexican eatery known for its window-serve style and delicious offerings. It's a go-to spot for late-night eats, offering tacos, open-style burritos, and chips with housemade salsa until 2:30 a.m. The must-try item is 'The Turtle,' a unique burrito stuffed with rice, beans, and your choice of ingredients, sealed with an extra cheesy tostada crunch.
There were a lot of good flavors here. It wasn't too expensive and had an okay atmosphere. It was like a mix of sit down and eat in. It wasn't that cozy but it was welcoming. Good food overall
Sarah S — Google review
Vibrant flavor at a reasonable price with a disappointing hygiene. Came in on the reds opening day after this place was recommended by a close friend. Apparently their very own “Turtles” were the item in the menu to order so we ordered two. One in baja style and one in Diablo style which is one of their items with the most heat 🔥 When i walked in, i was a bit confused due to the fact that no one is at the front door to greet or direct you and for a first timer like me— it was baffling. The concept is like a fast food restaurant in which you order off a standardized menu on a board behind the counter and can make requests to add or remove a specific element off each style. The food did take a while to come out. I assume it was because of the time closer to closing time. I was told by one of my friends that this place started as a take out restaurant only in which people would order through the small window on the side of the building which is still there! It started as a late night meal take out and eventually they rented the rest of the space and were finally able to open a dine in area. The ambiance was the unpleasant part of the experience and was definitely concerning. All the tables were dirty and had crumbs from the previous customers, there was no safe place. On a very slow night like this one, i would expect a more hygienic environment or at least an attempt to accommodate new customers to sit and enjoy their meal on a clean space. Also, one of the cooks came out of the kitchen with no gloves nor hair knit to take the trash. Huge red flag for me. The sanitation was the biggest downfall; nonetheless, the food was delightful, vibrant, and unique to their style. The turtles were crunchy packed with flavor and the tortilla which felt more like a pita or gyro was a great portion size considering it was 12$—-not a bad deal. The real kick was brought by the diablo style turtle which had me breathing heavily and making several trips to the self serve water station. It was vibrant, flavor packed, fresh and bold which is very characteristic of a mexican style restaurant. So spicy that it made me reconsider using their restroom. I know it must be a real concern for the maintenance guy there! I recommend getting their spicy crema sauce which settles down the heat and also adds a little kick to your meal. 2 in one which is like magic. All in all, i would come back to order take out but due to their unsanitary conditions, i wouldn’t eat at the restaurant again. Would recommend with caution. 4/5 ⭐️
Jojhan G — Google review
Trying a new spot for lunch. Maybe I got the worst possible combination (southwest chicken bowl) or maybe the food is just that bad. The chicken literally tastes worse than a Costco rotisserie chicken and that’s super bland. Had the chicken been better I would have enjoyed it a lot more. I think this has potential with a different protein. Super kind man super great service.
Catherine P — Google review
Gomez turtles are a must if you’re in Cincinnati. Like Taco Bell on flavor steroids. So delicious and a Cincinnati staple.
Cstrip99 — Google review
We came here after I found it online and read the reviews. Most all of them suggested the Turtle. It did not disappoint! We had the turtle with chicken, Gomez style. It was delicious! It has this crispy cheese crusted exterior and really good Baja sauce. I definitely recommend coming here and getting the turtle and any style you get I’m sure will be good. The guy that waited on us Saturday afternoon was super friendly too! We will definitely be coming back next time we’re in Cincinnati.

Found this place while staying in Cincinnati. The food is incredible. The chips and queso were out of this world. Great little spot that had a revolving door the entire time. The turtle was delightful.

One of my favorite things to do when I’m in Cincinnati is to see well mannered human beings working hard when they are sick, well, rain, shine. Not only do the well mannered human beings of this establishment make fantastic food, but they also make me feel welcomed. Especially that Lee fella!

Jamaican restaurant
Island Frydays is a laid-back eatery in Cincinnati, Ohio, founded by former University of Cincinnati football player Leo Morgan. The restaurant offers authentic Jamaican cuisine, including jerk chicken, seafood, sandwiches, and sides. Island Frydays gained recognition when it was featured on Guy Fieri's show for its standout dish - the snapper dinner. The menu also includes Caribbean classics like Rasta Pasta, stews, curry wraps, and fish entrees.
Dine in wasn't open. The wonderful female employee that took our order @ the window, kindly took my phone inside to take the Diners Drive Ins and Dives Guy Fieri pictures for me! 😍 The food was amazing!
Annette B — Google review
Ya Mon! This food is Fiyah! From someone who has visited Jamaica several times, this food is on point. The beef patties were better than what I had in Jamaica honestly. Really wish I had time to visit again while I was in town. I gave a 1 on atmosphere bc I really wish we could have sat down and ate the food there. You can’t go in and order. It’s a Togo window only. Looking at thier website if DDD visited what happened to that place?
Phil H — Google review
I really enjoyed the food, while there is no inside dining yet that shouldn't affect their food taste. Loved the jerk chicken, it's really good, and it melts of the chicken bones. The sauce that comes with the rice is also good. The beef patty wasn't my favorite, but it's still good. I would recommend 👌
Azez O — Google review
The pics doesn’t do justice. The food soooo finger licking good. I got the jerk wings with the jerk pasta. The spice has a kick, but the spice is too pleasant. Lastly the pineapple sweet tea, let’s just say I’m savoring it because I don’t wanna drink it all. You gotta come get one of these jerk wings @ Island Frydays 2826 short vine …

We were just in Cincinnati for the weekend and just googled what’s a good place to eat. This place came up as a place to definitely try. This place delivered on our expectations. We have never had Jamaican food before so we didn’t know what to really expect. It was truly amazing and well worth the wait. The people who work here are awesome and super friendly. I’m so glad we gave this place a try and we will definitely be back the next time we are in Cincinnati.
Rachel L — Google review
As of July 7, 2022 you still can't dine- in so call ahead. The food was pretty good and they have me a decent amount!!! I had to have my husband finish up my whiting. The Jamaican greens were well seasoned and I loved the pickled vegetables that were put over the fish. I didn't care for the plantains... it was like they weren't cooked through all the way. Hubby's jerck chicken pasta was good even though he said they were skimpy on the chicken. If you're in the Cincinnati area they're with giving a try.
Sabrina J — Google review
Ive eaten here about five times. I keep trying and I keep getting mediocre. The food isn't bad, but it isn't great. Usually just smothered in some sauce and covered in cheese. Again, its not bad...its just not that great. A lot of options in Clifton, this doesn't make my short list. Ive been told their wings are really good, Ill try those next.
Zachariah F — Google review
Wow! I ordered the traditional jerk chicken dinner with rice and peas, and jerk fries. The chicken was juicy and packed with smoky jerk goodness! The rice and peas with a bit of gravy also full of flavor. The jerk fries were average, they could have had more seasoning. The staff were friendly and and the prices were reasonable.

Rich's Proper Food and Drink is a trendy restaurant and bar located in Covington, offering a fusion of American pub and Southern Cajun cuisine. The establishment boasts one of the best whiskey and bourbon selections in the area. Housed in a space that was once a jewelry store, Rich's features an industrial-style setting with a prominent neon sign that can be seen from blocks away.
Fun fun fun food and nice place. I enjoyed the fish n chips $19. The only thing I didn’t like was that the batter was a bit too mushy on the inside so I peeled it off. The codfish was gigantic and the fish was fresh. The fries (sidewinders) were the most unique cut I ever saw. And they were crispy on the outside and the potato was smooth almost like mashed potatoes on the inside. The coleslaw was very healthy and included cabbage, carrots, fresh scallion. Great ambience. The waitress was lovely. I liked having a full carafe of water at my table so I didn't have to ask for more water. Wednesdays they have 50% off oysters! And they have that boiled Parmesan garlic and cheese oyster ... yummy.
Karina K — Google review
This was our first time trying Rich's proper food and drinks. We went there for a friend's bday and they were pretty good with reservations. We started with a few drinks off their menu and everyone really loved their drinks. We then ordered the appetizers which were ahhmaazing. The corn fritters were the highlight for me. The black eyed peas hummus and the veggie wings were also really good. For our main course I tried the Chicken Philly which was equally good as the rest of the food. The Tofu Banh Mi is a great and filling option for the vegetarian. The marinated tofu was really flavorful. Our friends ordered the Hot Honey Chicken, shrimp and grits and the smoked cheddar bacon burger. And everyone was really happy with their food. The entrees do come with plenty of great side options which makes up for their higher prices. Our server also took great care of us. I would have given them a 4.5 if I could. We will definitely come back !!
Devyani S — Google review
I had a lovely lunch here. Service was good. Menu is limited but we’ll curated. They have fresh oysters. And specials on oysters on Wednesdays, starting at 4pm. The Hot honey chicken sandwich was delicious. The only downside to a the parking situation (admittedly, there was a lot of road construction ongoing, early May 2024). A bonus: good amount of outdoor seating (picnic tables and regular tables, with umbrellas for the sun).
KP G — Google review
My husband and I went there for lunch. They weren’t very busy very nice atmosphere. The bartender was also our waitress and I ordered the hot honey fried chicken sandwich with the fries and a side of collard greens and let me tell you the sandwich is amazing. Really really good. I don’t have a picture, but my husband got the fish and chips and I want to say it’s the best fish I’ve had in a long time. We will definitely be going back.

Small but impressive brunch menu. The shrimp and grits were amazing. The honey bee salad was delicious and the beets were some of the best we've tasted. The spicy bloody mary was really good. Intimate atmosphere. Cute area of Covington.
Angie M — Google review
Went for an early dinner so got some happy hour deals. The food was great, cocktails perfect, service awesome! I can't have dairy and they know exactly what is in every item, and can make many items vegan. They told me every cocktail is dairy free because the bartenders have a dairy allergy too! Yay! Will be back! Really enjoyed the patio too!
Vicki S — Google review
Great little place with lots of options for beverages and eats. I was lucky to come in on American Bourbon night so that got me 25% off. My waiter was very knowledgeable and helped me with selecting a bourbon. His recommendation was spot on. As for dinner I had shrimp and grits and really enjoyed it as well.
Jamie B — Google review
Like the draft beer selection. Small bar atmosphere. Our third time visiting was a charm. Much better service experience. Pictured is the shrimp and grits and the braised pork lettuce wraps. Order the shrimp and grits. It is outstanding. Great flavor. Not bland. The acoustics make this place very loud when it is full.

MAIZE, located at 1438 Race St., Over-the-Rhine, is named after maize, a corn flour with a history dating back 10,000 years in Mexican culture. This flour forms the basis for their arepas, cachapas and empanadas, offering a gateway to the diverse world of Latin American cuisine. The restaurant offers gluten and dairy-free options and provides helpful assistance in choosing delicious dishes. Customers can enjoy outdoor seating when the weather is warmer.
Amazing vibe! The staff was very helpful with answering questions about the menu. Beautiful decor. I had the Paella Caribena. The rice was a little dry, but the sea food and vegetables were cooked perfectly. My friends had the Pabellon Criollo and Empanadas. They said it was delicious and flavorful. The Sangria was different from what I've usually had, a little sweeter than like, but the cinnamon stick in it was a good mixure of flavor for it. Parking was had to find. Street parking or parking garage nearby. If FC Cincinnati games are home, better go early or get reservations. A must try awesome Venezuelan food.

Food and drinks were very good. One of the items on our order was missed and came after we were nearly finished dining. We would go again.
Stephen A — Google review
The service, atmosphere and dumplings were awesome- 10/10 no complaints. The drinks (while tasty) were expensive and I couldn’t taste any alcohol. The paella was a huge disappointment as it wasn’t cooked like traditional paella that gets crispy when actually cooked in the proper cast iron pot. This dish seemed like rice made regularly with meats/seafood added in later and then it was all added to a cast iron pot for show. Not worth it at that price point.
Loretta B — Google review
Had a very nice meal here. Menu is not extensive, but the dishes are really unique and interesting, a lot of beef and chicken. Sides are pretty basic (rice, beans, or several plantain preparations). But food was all prepared fresh and seasoned nicely. Portions are big but not crazy. Service was pretty good. Cocktail menu is pretty heavy on wines as expected, but they had some unique and interesting cocktails. Overall a very good meal - we'll be back!
Mike H — Google review
We had a stack of gift cards for this place, and hadn't been yet, so tonight felt like the right time. We took advantage of the outdoor seating and grabbed a few of the signature items. The "El Ritual," a rum and coffee shooter that was interesting and delicious as our apéritif. A guasacaca plate, which was plantain chips with a guacamole-like dip that had olives in it. And for the main, some cheese empanadas and shrimp empanadas. Great service, quick refill on the water, and delicious food. Would go again.
Tony B — Google review
Pros-The food and drinks tasted awesome -our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and seemed genuinely passionate Cons- food and drink wait times ~while we had a reservation, we didn't have enough time to finish with our large group, one server, and long, albeit thorough explanation. we were kicked out prematurely, drink taken away. The food was somewhat slow but drinks took about 15 minutes to arrive. I would return only because of the quality and rarity of this type of food in the area, and with a smaller group

Steak was top 5 I've ever had in my life. Drinks were great too. Empanadas were a bit undercooked/cold in the middle, but excellent overall Edit: went back again and the steak wasn't nearly as good. Not as tender. Nothing was really that amazing.

I can't get enough! Ihave been eating here for years, at least 2-3 times a week! Literally my favorite restaurant downtown and the ONLY real deal juice bar in Cincinnati! So much better than the bottled crap in the stores. The Chicken Fajita wrap is to die for and the staff is always so friendly, they literally remember you by name! Guests can enjoy the cozy ambiance and excellent service while indulging in freshly prepared meals from the scratch kitchen. The 'Honey's Punch' is highly recommended for its refreshing taste.
I didn't know much about this place before visiting. My wife happened to look it up while we were looking for something to eat. I was thoroughly surprised by the amount of menu items that I wanted to try; everything sounded wonderful! For the appetizer we had the BBQ chicken deviled eggs, and they were excellent! It was a perfectly sweet bbq sauce that wasn't too tangy, and the chicken was crunchy. For our meals I ended up ordering the Catfish with Cajun grits! And my wife had the Sweet chick (french toast with fried chicken). When I tell you that the catfish and grits were by far the best grits I have ever had! The catfish was seasoned and fried to perfection, and the grits had so many flavors going on. The grits were cheesy, had perfect Cajun flavoring, perfect texture, and it all complimented each other so well to create a perfectly savory dish. It was literally the perfect meal. I'm not saying that there's no better meals out there but I don't think that this meal could have been any better. My wife also enjoyed her food and said that she would order the French toast again. If you're in the area I recommend checking this place out, and I highly recommend getting the Fish and Grits.

Visiting my cousin in Cincinnati and decided to swing by for brunch. Stopped in around 10am on a Saturday. It was packed inside but they have outside seating and was gorgeous outside so we opted to sit there. The service was phenomenal and the food was absolutely amazing. We all tried different things and there were no leftovers. 10/10 highly recommend - you wont be disappointed!

This was our first time coming here and we came for brunch on Saturday. We both had the jungle juice drink that was great. 10/10. I had the crab cake BLT w fries. It was 8/10. I would go again but wouldn’t order the crab cake sandwich. The sauce on the crab cake was great.

The restaurant is located by the hotel. The entrance door is on the side of the hotel. We came here for brunch on Saturday. Make sure you make a reservation for the weekend. Our server was super great, quick and friendly. The food was good and tasty. The menu is online unfortunately. No paper menu. There is a parking lot across from the restaurant. It's free with validation (2 hours).

My cousin took me here for my birthday brunch. Everything was delicious, the drinks were so fun and yummy, and service was great. Our server Rico was very attentive, making sure to keep us updated when our appetizer didn’t arrive right away. We will definitely be returning.

Great tasting Lobster Tail w/Mac and Cheese 🧀 😋 Also, the Catfish Bites were done well. However, it could be a bit more crunchy and spicy. The French Toast had a great texture and wasn't too sweet. The Mimosa was very refreshing! The service and atmosphere were awesome! Definitely going back in the near future 💯 Update: I had the Sweet Chick - Really nice flavor overall! However, the Chicken could use a more crunchy breading. Chicken Sandwich was ok. The fries could use a bit more seasoning.

Nice location with validated parking. Atmosphere upon entering is welcoming with reservations no wait was experienced. Menu offers variety of food with cute fun names. Music plays just loud enough to vibe out 90s-00s rnb. Seats are hard only drawback. Food was hot, servings were proportionate and very delicious. Drinks superb. Built in 20 percent gratuity. We had the fish n grits, hot honey Brussels, corn bread, Mac n cheese fritters,ox tail skillet and low country potatoes.

Nice place. Set outside and had fans blowing to keep UA cool. My group really enjoyed their food. Nice size portions, well seasoned, and looked really good. Mine, not so much. Anyway, a little pricey but worth it to most. The 20% tip that is automatically added to groups was a little rough. The web site said groups of eight or more. We had five. Bathrooms could be a little bigger. I would recommend a trip for people to check them out. They validate your parking if you park directly across the street.

Takeout Restaurant
Eli's BBQ, located in the Columbia-Tusculum neighborhood of Cincinnati, is a well-known spot for delicious southern comfort food and classic American barbecue. The menu features hickory-smoked pulled pork sandwiches, ribs, green beans, mac n cheese, and more. With multiple locations across Greater Cincinnati, including brick-and-mortar restaurants and hubs inside Kroger stores, Eli's BBQ offers an inviting atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating options.
Loved this place. Their rib tips were amazing. The ribs were phenomenal. With excellent smokey flavors. Dry rub seasons was good, really didn't even need the BBQ sauce that comes with, which is also good. From staff lady was very friendly and helpful with recommendations of other places in town as I'm from west michigan.
John G — Google review
Pulled pork sandwich was excellent with great smoke flavor and plentiful. The jalapeño corn bread lacked jalapeño flavor but was great tasting and big portion. The loaded hot dog was well seasoned and flavorful. No seating inside the location as it is carry out only.
Raul R — Google review
It was not bad, just not what I'm looking for in barbecue. The smoked turkey sandwich was tasty and a generous portion. The ribs I was 50-50 on. I don't think the frying is necessary and doesn't add any texture or flavor while also drying them out a little. The mac & cheese and mashed potato sides were not good but not awful. Overall, I would not return here again by myself but if I was with friends and they were dead set on coming here I would give it another try.
John O — Google review
We stopped here during our Findlay market outing. We heard so much about this place. We ordered two pulled pork sandwiches and baked beans. After checking twice on our order during the 20 minutes of wait time I again checked on our order and found it waiting in a hot box. Although the portions were large and looked appetizing the sandwiches were disappointing. The pork was dry and tasteless. I do not particularly enjoy BBQ sauce but found the sandwich inedible without it. The baked beans were a little too spicy for our liking. Because of the limited menu and our experience we will not return.
Debra L — Google review
I loved that Findlay Market was a working market but for a place that sells food, there wasn't a lot of selection to eat, nor seating. After going up and down the market and outside too, we settled on Eli's BBQ. It was a good meal but it was difficult to find seating outside. I am glad there was a choice as to the number of ribs you can get, because two was enough for me. The dry rub was sweet already so I didn't use much of the sauce. It was also tender.
Kerrie C — Google review
I always made sure to judge a BBQ joint based on the ribs, burger or pulled pork sandwich. I got 4 bones and mac and cheese with 'make it dirty' for sides. They also gave coleslaw and sweet dip. It was so good, I didn't care that I had it on a bench by the street, it was a closed street by the findlay market. Really good place if you want to get lunch around findlay market.
Venkatesh K — Google review
When I want Barbecue, this is the place I go. Ribs are delicious. Baked beans are too. The mac n cheese not so good. Customer service is great. It's convenient right on the market. I highly recommend Eli's BBQ. I wish they would add another side dish; a salad, corn on the cob, or french fries .
Shelia — Google review
We ordered wings, mac and cheese, jalapeño grits, and rib tips. The best thing was the sauce that came on the side. Neat was very dry, overcooked or from last week.

This hidden gem in Northside serves up some of the best authentic West African food you can find anywhere in Cincinnati. The lamb and chicken are both served in huge portions with a side of rice, making it a great option for a quick meal.
the staff greeted me instantly , the service was a reasonable wait time 15 min as he said and the food was delicious. So flavorful I will be back again and again

Nice place that is hidden away in northside. Lamb is tasty and has a nice spice to it however some peices can be a little tough. Comes with nice pickled onions and a side. I got brown rice which was great. Can get very busy around dinner time. More suited for takeout

food from darou salem restaurant is incredibly yummy. AND they make everything fresh fresh; there's a short wait between ordering and receiving order but it's more than worth it imo. plantains, dibi lamb, and fish are my go-tos! i bought lunch here for my best friend too, and she LOOOOOVED everything especially the fish and plantains now about atmosphere and structure. there's a chill, laid-back vibe within the restaurant. the order counter is clean and typically operated by gentle speaking and friendly persons. there's wall decor with african theme-ing, nice low lighting [i love restaurants with moderately dim lighting! easier on my eyes and more so it sets a nice vibe for me to decompress] there's both indoor and outdoor seating too, though the outdoor patio seating seems to accommodate more than just darou salem guests. so that may lead to less seating available during specific hours and/or on specific days. idk, there's been seating available for my party everytime we went, but still something to keep in mind if dining in overall though, i love it here—it's a whole vibe, the food is excellent, and the service, friendly🙏🏾

Took my wife here and had a super Wack experience. I'll never go back. Walked in and the place smelled like cigarettes, the guy at the counter acted like he didn't care if we ordered or not, no greeting no nothing. He wasn't helpful at all, no recommendations and even seemed to be annoyed that we had questions. We ordered anyway sat down and noticed the how dirty the place was. I thought maybe he was having a bad day until other Africans came in and he was more lively with them. We decided to leave, we didn't want to pay 50 plus dollars for such a trash experience.

Glad I finally came here and will return many times. You get a lot of delicious food for your money with fast service. I got the Maffe (peanut butter sauce with meat over white rice). It was super good and enough for 2 meals (3 with sides). They have a porch and courtyard in front for nice weather. Inside seats about 15 people.
Nealy W — Google review
Dropped by for lunch while in the area and was very impressed by this hole in the wall spot. we ordered the lanb and the fish dish. The flavors were very unique and unlike any dishes we have tried before. The jollof rice is exquisitely seasoned and the rice is an interesting texture, each grain is a lot smaller and firmer than basmati rice and almost feels like bulgur grains. The sauces were very savory and complex. the lamb was perfectly barbecued and brisket-like. Also got a smoothie and a hibiscus drink, both very interesting and complex flavors, hints of orange blossom and a starchy potato (taro? yukka?) in the smoothie and the hibiscus was extremely different than the hibiscus tea drinks commonly sold. We dined in and had come in around 1 PM, half an hour after opening. the restraint was quiet and there was just one person there getting a pick up order. The chairs were all pulled on to the table and there was no one dining in, but we got our food at the counter and then pulled out chairs to sit. No other diners came in during the lunch hour, so it was quiet and we had the place to ourselves. The food was served in to go boxes even though we were dining in, seems as if most of the lunch customers are take out orders (there were several pick ups while we were in store). There is also some very cute cozy seating in the front yard of the restaurant, it was too cold when we came to sit outside unfortunately. definitely would recommend, this is a hidden gem.
Amer — Google review
Delicious food but they left the door open in the dead of winter and brought us in with all the chairs still up on the table and had us put down our own chairs. They also did not bring out water or offer it and it takes a long time to place your order since they are not in much of a rush. Not a big deal for good food but I don’t think you want to go here if you’re expecting the average restaurant hospitality. Definitely a place for take out.
JJ M — Google review
HORRIBLE SERVICE! If you’re not African just forget it they won’t even greet you or say here’s your order, just put it on the table and walk away. Terrible. Also rice was so greasy I could literally squeeze the grease like juice out of the rice. Just make it at home or go anywhere else

Sugar n' Spice Diner is a beloved Cincinnati establishment that has been serving the community since 1941. With two locations in downtown Cincy and Reading Rd, this family-friendly diner boasts a vibrant and lively atmosphere with colorful decor featuring cartoon murals. The menu offers a stellar selection of breakfast and lunch options, including delicious egg platters, pancakes, signature omelets, sandwiches, and comfort food favorites.
Came in the morning before our long drive back to Texas. The Sunday after thanksgiving would have been an understandable day for service to be slow, or attitudes to be down, but not here. Our server Ashley had a smile the entire time we saw her. There was a decent wait for a Sunday at lunch time, but that’s to be expected. The manager was running around putting out every fire and was a rockstar. He never lost his smile, even when he was being spoken down to by someone less understanding of the wait. He made sure he had his team’s back and bussed tables and took orders when everyone was busy. Ashley was a joy to have as our waitress too. She made sure all of us who were in for the first time got a duck and was very attentive to the details of our orders. The kitchen staff was near our table and they were all so kind with each other and made us laugh more than once. Overall we loved this spot and see why it’s so highly recommended. The food was classic diner fare but it was done so well. No one left hungry, and everyone left talking about how glad we were to have taken the time. We got the meatlovers plate, the breakfast burrito, the pancakes, chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, and a Greek omelet with gyro added. Everything was delicious and hearty, which is exactly what we needed after a long week and before a very long drive home. We are looking forward to the next time we visit and get to stop in.

When you walk in, don't just sit at the bar. You'll find out quick if you don't. 😆 Service is slow waited over 20 minutes so far as I'm writing this. Staff didn't smile much or make you gerl welcomed. We felt more like a burden. The toy ducks were entertaining for 5mins. Cornbeef hash was great, however the serving size was half the thickness of an English muffin & about the same diameter. Over easy eggs had the slime.

Just the right meal to get me going after a rough night. Escaped a situation in the morning and I was starved! Amazing food, so cozy. Best waitresses at this location. I’m giving it five stars even though no mimosas! Ha!

We have been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time. Finally went today. We very disappointed We got sat in the back, we waited at least 15 minutes for our order to be taken. They weren't busy I think she forgot we were there. The food was a huge disappointment. The pancakes are so thin it doesn't hold the blueberries and they have no flavor. I didn't care for the ham. My son did not like the pancakes, eggs or bacon. My husband loves sausage gravy but he couldn't even eat it he said it tasted bad. And the cube hash browns were any good. It tastes like Gordon foods quality. Unfortunately we will not be back. I did forget to take a picture in the very beginning.

Awesome atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, delicious food! If I lived closer this would be my regular spot. So much love here.

Decor is great and the restaurant is clean and very colorful but the ambient noise is loud. I ordered the French toast with a side of bacon. The bacon was delicious but the French toast was way undercooked. It was mushy from the egg wash or whatever they use to coat the bread and wasn't hot. Definitely wasn't worth the $15 I paid with a sweet tea.

Food is spectacular, staff enthusiastic. They make you feel like you're a regular, even if it's your first visit. Dee was stupendous! The atmosphere is bright, cheerful, and whimsical. The rubber ducks for each guest are a wonderful touch. This establishment is definitely worth going out of your way to visit, you won't be disappointed. Highly Recommend 🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤

Busy place! The wait wasn't very long considering the line was out the door. They had the the best French toast! However, the eggs, sausage and my son's omelet was very dry. The cold brew latte was more of a cold brew coffee (which was also an option) and it was extremely sweet. Service was OK. They weren't smiling or energetic but maybe because it was so busy. We didnt have to wait long to be greeted and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time.

Visiting from out of town on my last day in downtown, Cincinnati stopped at the cutest place and was served by Jaclyn. Probably the best service I’ve had since I’ve been here. Food was absolutely amazing and I will definitely be back. Jaclyn I’m coming for you.

I have been to First Watch restaurants, making me repeatedly come to this chain. But this time, it was a bit disappointing. Besides the half-empty restaurant, we were seated (sideways) facing the washroom. I don't know how the two other customers agreed to sit immediately beside the washroom. It would have been nice to ask if we would prefer other seats, but it's that time of the day; you want to get a healthy breakfast and get going. I absolutely loved their purple haze drink. I tried their triathlete egg liquid Omelette, I like the quantity of salad and the omelette (not seasoned well, look at the photos), bread is also okay. But overall, I would come to try the drinks. During the checkout, the minimum tip that machine suggests is 18% unless you want to type a custom amount.

Very clean and upbeat environment. The service was right on point with a busy dining room. The food quality is superb. Very Health conscious and made to order. The million dollar bacon was sweet and savory. The turkey sausage biscuits and gravy was my favorite. I’m not even a fan of turkey sausage either. The Parma hash bowl had all the deliciousness wrapped in one. My wife had the cheese grits and tacos. She enjoyed them. We took a couple health drinks to go and they hit the spot as well. 5/5 stars. Highly recommended

Food was really good, but it's hard to enjoy it when servers like Jacqueline are rude from the moment you sit down and then treat the next table with respect. My brother, who has autism, felt very uncomfortable the whole time, especially after his therapy session. I'm not sure if it was discrimination, but I don't know what else it could be. All the other servers were great, especially the greeter in the front. If you avoid her you will have a great time.

The first time we tried to visit the Florence, KY location, the site said you were open but you were actually closed. However, we waited for you to reopen and came back. We were so pleased by the renovations made to the outside and inside of the establishment. We were seated quickly by a wonderful server named Ann. She was so attentive and welcoming. She made us feel right at home and recommended some wonderful meals. She even provided alternatives given restrictions we had. Overall, that visit was well worth the wait. Fast forward a month and a half later and we went back to visit Ann. She remembered us as if we were just there the day before. She even remembered where we sat! Ann is such a delight and we just simply adore her! The service she provides is top tier and you all should be proud to have Ann on your team. We will continue to come back for the good food but even moreso for the exceptional service.

I usually love the Cracker Barrel, but this location has issues. It took forever to place our order and when we finally did the waitress came back and said they were out of numerous items, so I had to change my order. I ordered a salad with my steak, and I received my steak before my salad. I asked for medium-rare steak, and it was well done! I also ordered mushrooms on it which apparently, they didn't have either. I didn't want to send it back because we were in a hurry and it already had taken too long to get. I also had to ask three different people for a steak knife before I got one. It was not a good experience; I would not recommend this location.

I’ve been a Cracker Barrel fan for 40 years but I’m done. Waiting 15 min (actually 30) was so chaotic the hostess was crying! Called our name 3 times all while they argued where to put us. Finally put the 7 of us at a table. People leaving in walkers couldn’t get out due to chairs and tables everywhere. Server came to take our order only to be told she would be taking orders for HALF our table only! What? Table of 3 behind us were yelling for service! It was a madhouse! Finally a new server came to our table, apologized and took our orders. I was blown away by your new menu. I come weekly for lemon pepper grilled trout. It’s been removed!! No way! That was so healthy and good! Catfish is the only fish I will not eat. I ordered country fried steak. It used to be real steak breaded. Not any more. It’s now a beef fritter! I ate three bites and left the rest. Most at our table ordered chicken and dumplings. They too were so dry and doughy. No broth at all! Not cooked. Everyone who ordered dumplings left them! For the very first time I didn’t take home my leftovers. I’m done with your restaurant. Sadly. It is one of my regular rotations. If you return grilled trout let me know otherwise I will not be back, nor any of the six women I was with.

So this was a full circle moment being that Cracker Barrel was one of the first jobs I had. I was so hungry and on my way to work I decided to stop at Cracker Barrel. I was very happy to see a woman who nurtured and took me under her wing who is the life, the face and the spirit of that location. Her name is Beatrice, She’s not only kind, but you can literally feel the spirit of the Lord on her. Now that I got the good stuff out the way, let’s get into the bad things. When I came in, I was greeted right away and I was asked if I was placing to go order or I wanted to Dine in. I stated I wanted to place a to go order and my waitress Alexis G came over and took my order. I ordered mama’s French toast breakfast a drink and fried apples. My order came up to 19. I tipped the waitress making it a total of 22. I waited over 42 minutes for my order. The host couldn’t find my order because the woman who took my order didn’t put my order in and never gave a name, when the Server walked to the front With my order, I felt the bag and it felt cold. I asked Beatrice at the front desk was my order fresh and she stated yes. I drove to work after being late for picking up the breakfast that took over 40 minutes and my food was ice cold. and my apple juice tasted like water. I instantly called back to the location location. They didn’t even ask what my name was for some strange reason. I guess they knew I was going to call back in. They said we will have your food ready when you come. I stated don’t you need my name how do you know who I am and they said we knew that you would call back in. Nevertheless, when I arrived, Beatrix greeted me again was very I received my food and went back to work. The food was fresh, but it had absolutely no flavor. The eggs didn’t have any salt pepper. The French toast tasted bland. The Apples taste it weird. The only flavor that you could taste on the apples with cinnamon and the skin was still on the apples and it just had a weird offputting taste. The only thing that was good was the bacon. Whoever that pig was was delicious. For $19 I expected way more. Now the presentation of the food was nice they give you to go syrup in small glass bottles. The atmosphere of the store was Homie. The gift shop is always really nice to look around and see the different items that they have even though they’re very overpriced. They have a lot of old-school candy that you can only in the south or that is discontinued. If they could get their waiters together and add some salt and pepper to their food, they would be unstoppable. The only reason why I would patronize his business this business again is to see Beatrice. Please give Beatrix a raise… She is the biggest asset To the whole restaurant. She puts me in the mind of Loretta Devine, almost even with her sweet little voice. She Makes you feel like family and I was so upset about Cracker Barrel but seeing how happy she was made me want to eat at the restaurant again.

This restaurant is amazing! The food is great, the price is good, but the people are outstanding! Melody and Annie are fantastic because they are helpful and attentive to their customers! They both due an amazing job at greeting their customers, checking to make sure their customers have a positive experience, and are visible if you need them. The staff are fantastic and do their very best to make sure their customers feel respected! Plus I like it when they remind me of their good deals and take home meals. Those are a great value!

Food was amazing, servers were fantastic. The only gripe I have about my most recent experience were the cashiers. When we attempted purchase gift shop items two of the cashiers simply kept talking, would not service us. They would look but not service or ask if help was need or anything like that. After a minute or so of waiting we simply paid for the meal and did not buy from the gift shop as they were rude.

If I could give a negative star I would!! Went here to get breakfast for dinner: grandma pancake sampler. Went at about 6pm, no rush, not crowded, or super busy. IT TOOK OVER 1 HOUR to get my food to go!!! Not only that, they forgot my drink and when the cashier called to get the drink made, it took them over 10 minutes to bring it out (just for a large sprite)....i was about to just go in the kitchen/back and make it myself.the food was another story! Food: ham was over cooked, very tiny pieces of egg shell in scrambled eggs; sausage and scrambled eggs were also cold, hash browns were cooked at all, just looked as if the top layer was done!!! Blueberry pancakes were burnt! Didn't give me the correct syrup, as well!!! It was as if they just ignored what the server (who was the manager) wrote down! The person who cooked this order, in my opinion, should be fired! Never eating here again...would rather go to either Fairfield or Florence (both long distances from where I live) to eat at this chain again!!

Although it was crowded, we were greeted and seated immediately. The place has a pleasant, homey feel—tables filled with happy faces. Great, but overpriced food, a sweet and attentive waitress, and the convenience of paying by phone at our table made for a pleasant visit.

This chain continues to offer solid breakfast and lunch options and appears to have been less impacted by the pandemic aftermath. The food is served fairly quickly, even when busy, by friendly, professional staff. Prices are up but not by much with portions suffering no significant shrinkage. The only drawback is the overly busy and confusing menu with various options all over the place. A simplified menu will go a long way towards improving the overall experience.

We ordered several of the so-called signature dishes, but unfortunately, none of them tasted good. The server spilled coffee all over the outside of the cup while pouring it, which was disappointing. As the place got busier on a weekend morning, the server suddenly brought two to-go boxes without us asking — it honestly felt like we were being told to leave. I’ve never experienced anything like that before.
Hwakoo K — Google review
Beautiful breakfast place! Crowded during weekend, the portion was perfect to wipe clean the plate. Loved their coffee.

Our service was outstanding. Easy parking and nice variety on the menu. Appreciated the new summer drink options. Wish there was more flavor in the food. Pretty darn bland. Lower calorie menu options shouldn't mean low in flavor. Bring on the green chili, wake up the food, and give it some punch! Restaurant was very clean and toast was great.
Claudia C — Google review
Your palate will be happy here. I have a hard time picking something when there are so many tasty options. So, I asked our waitress for her opinion. She gave me a solid recommendation and let me tell you...it was on point! My taste buds were dancing with delight! We will definitely be back!

First Watch is a popular cafe chain offering a variety of healthy breakfast, brunch, and lunch options such as omelets, salads, and soups. The restaurant has received positive feedback for its pleasant and attentive staff. Customers have enjoyed dishes like the Floridian French Toast, turkey sausage with scrambled eggs and cheese, as well as the flavorful chickichanga topped with cheesy goodness. While it can get busy due to its reliability and diverse menu offerings, First Watch remains a solid choice for brunch.
We are visiting from Texas. Great service! We don’t have shrimp and grits at ours. It was delicious.

Everything started fine, my food was ready, pick up was smooth. My problem is that while eating, I took a bite and felt something, a long piece of plastic wrapping was in the meat. (You can see bite mark on the plastic) I don’t understand how this is missed, I tried calling to discuss with the specific location but couldn’t get through.
Kaleigh H — Google review
Pleasant experience from the greeting at the door all thru the service and up to the end where I paid with my receipt. I was sat in a seat that accommodated my request, server was EXCELLENT, and the food/coffee was fresh!! Always the best toast in the city. Thank you First Watch Hyde Park Team!!
Amanda G — Google review
First watch is a chain that is pretty consistently a cut above the rest, though the food at this one wasn't as good as some of the others I've been to. Always busy and fairly consistent, would definitely recommend if you're wanting breakfast and don't want to gamble on quality.

My wife and I dine here frequently. We enjoy the atmosphere here and the great service. The breakfast is always good. My favorite item here is the goetta omelet. The first several times it came out perfect. I always ask for the goetta to be crispy brown. The server always writes that down. The last several visits here it has been barely cooked, no brown at all. Our visit yesterday was fine except for both of our goetta omelet's. Neither one was brown at all. We both asked for it crispy brown. We did not complain at that time. I just wish the cooks would read the order and make it the way the the customer asks for it. I know it sounds petty, but this is why I come here.

Ice cold grits. Yuck. They did this a year ago as well and that's why I stopped ordering. Well, lesson learned. Gave them another try. Happened again. Won't order again.

Omelet was good. Greens fresh. Waitress Skye did an excellent job.

The Original Pancake House offers a casual setting to enjoy signature pancakes and classic American breakfast dishes all day long. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, along with friendly service, makes it a great choice for traditional breakfast. The menu features a variety of options including specialty pancakes like pecan pancakes and classic breakfast plates such as biscuits and gravy. Customers appreciate the delicious food at reasonable prices, making it a gem in the area.
So delicious and way too much food. The Dutch baby was everything promised. I was skeptical about the lemon, powdered sugar, butter, and pancake but it was so light and refreshing. My wife loved the giant veggie omelette and the fresh squeezed orange juice. We have leftover breakfast for the entire weekend, totally worth the wait. They crank through the crowd so it's never as bad as it seems!
Scott T — Google review
Nice little breakfast eatery near i-275 for if you're travelling and had to check out of a hotel prior to leaving. Service was a bit slow and they didn't have any type of breakfast sandwich like you would see at Bob Evans and the fast food usual suspects. The food was good though. I did find something nice to eat. There is an aquarium in the center of the restaurant as something to look at and keep the kiddos entertained.
Shaunye G — Google review
First time to OPH. You definitely get your money’s worth here. I had the sausage and eggs with buttermilk pancakes. Everything came out hot and tasted great. For newcomers- omelets can only be made with 6 eggs! No other size of omelet is available for purchase. Staff was friendly, although service was a little slow. They’ve got a neat saltwater fish tank that kept my son occupied while we waited for our food. Will definitely be back.
Brandon B — Google review
Beautiful fish tank, the food- delicious! They give you great portions. We get the Uncle Tiny Special every time. Service is always great. Coffee is very good!
Jordan S — Google review
I don’t get the hype. I left a good tip, but I have to be honest and ask what exactly is going on in that kitchen. The home fries came out cold like they had been waiting longer than me, the eggs were overcooked and I didn’t want them runny but I also didn’t want hockey pucks. The Dutch Baby was on me for wanting to try something new, but it tasted like a dessert experiment gone wrong. The omelet was thick, loaded with cheese, not terrible but nothing I couldn’t whip up half asleep at home. The only real positive is you get plenty of food, but if most of it is mid or worse, is it really a value or just a heavy plate of disappointment.
Rayshawn S — Google review
Had a great experience this morning with my son very quick and easy breakfast. I absolutely love going for their cream of wheat, my favorite 😋
Shonta B — Google review
Well worth the wait times!! Large portion sizes, great presentation, and excellent flavor! The 6 egg omelette is huge! If you haven’t been yet…. Why not?
Dwayne B — Google review
They will lie and say they offer takeout. They don’t. Every time you call they say they’re too busy to apparently fulfill an order at a time they determine?? Every time I call they say they’re aren’t doing takeout, but they do takeout. Stop lying. You do not offer takeout unless your business is struggling that day. Absolute crap. I choose takeout because the food is okay but the service and atmosphere and owner all suck.

The food, the staff, the atmosphere were very nice. Even though we were seated 15 minutes before closing time. our server Nikki took care of us very well, without rushing . Everything was perfect delicious, thank you so much Nikki for your friendliness and kindness. I definitely recommend this place, it's a place to enjoy your meal with your loved ones.

Tried First Watch for the first time yesterday and loved it so much I came back again today! It was extremely busy but they run like a well oiled machine and we were seated within 10 minutes. Both times our server was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious!

Stopped here for breakfast. No wait to get in. Seated immediately. I ordered a Tropical Sunrise. This juice has a mango, pineapple, strawberry, and lime. Sweet with a kick of tart. I ordered the Hacienda Hash. Nice serving size. Very good. Our server took great care of us. I look forward to trying other items on the menu.

This place is a delight for the palette. We aren't from the area, so we googled a nearby breakfast place and wound up at Toast and berries. Unfortunately the wait time for a small party was an hour long, so we asked the hostess if there was another breakfast place in the area that they recommended. She recommended calling First Watch in Kenwood to check availability. To our surprise, there was no wait. We filled out anapplication online to ensure we would be on the wait list in the event that it filled up before we got there. When we arrived, seating went seamlessly. The menu was double sided, simple and to the point. I have an issue eating overly sweet things in the mornings, but I'm a sucker for French toast. I ordered the French toast, and the blueberry compote that accompanied it was phenomenal. Hot cocoa was rich and creamy. I was also pleasantly surprised with the million dollar bacon. I believe the name of our waitress was Mikayla, she was attentive while not overbearing. It was very busy, but food came out fairly quick, within half an hour of ordering. A bonus for me, I absolutely adored the pokemon drawings they had on their chalkboard. Only negative I could possibly find was parking is limited, but we were able to find parking with ease. Highly recommend if you're in the area. Our family thoroughly enjoyed.
