Nature & Parks
Smale Riverfront Park is a picturesque park located along the Ohio River, offering beautiful gardens, a playground, and a splash pad for visitors to enjoy. It has been recognized as one of the top river walks in the country by USA Today's 10 Best Readers' Choice. The park provides panoramic walking paths with stunning views of the river and Roebling Bridge.
Smale Riverfront Park is a scenic park along the river, offering a peaceful escape with beautifully landscaped gardens and terrific water and bridge views, and a nice walking path. Whether you’re looking to relax or explore, the park has something for everyone. The lounging swings overlooking the river are perfect for unwinding, and the colorful flower beds and carefully designed landscapes make every corner of the park picturesque. Kids will love the fun interactive playgrounds, while adults can enjoy the atmosphere and the gentle sounds of the fountains. It’s an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll, a family outing, or simply enjoying the beauty of the Cincinnati waterfront. Nice spot at dusk also. The bridge looks really beautiful lit up at night.
Caroline C — Google review
Visited the riverfront park during our recent trip to Cincinnati. It’s a nice park with a walking path. It has beautiful views of the bridge. Also has swinging benches to sit. There’s a small rose garden as well with lots of pretty roses. The boardwalk was nice.
Nidhi K — Google review
Amazing park! There's a playground for kids with some really cool things to play on, great views of the bridge and river, and a water feature, too. A great place to walk around in downtown Cincinnati.
Lucas ル — Google review
Beautiful riverfront park with something for everyone! The views of the Ohio River and the Roebling Bridge are stunning, especially at sunset. The walking paths are wide and well-kept, with plenty of benches, swings, and gardens along the way. Kids love the interactive fountains and playgrounds, while adults can enjoy a peaceful stroll or relax by the water. The landscaping is gorgeous in every season. A perfect spot for photos, picnics, or just unwinding in the city. Highly recommend if you’re visiting downtown Cincinnati!

This area was amazing, I wish we have a place like this one back here in Orlando. Very clean and peaceful for be next to the downtown. A few homeless around but they don't bother anyone. There's a playground, garden, swings, restrooms and walkways. We sow people running and walking with their dogs.
Carla C — Google review
A great view to relax and just think of the nothings that's surrounding you. Long trail and great amazing boat rides.

Washington Park is a six-acre civic park located in Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine district. It was acquired by the city in 1863 and has a rich history, including being the site of the 1888 Centennial Exposition of the Ohio Valley. The park features a playground, splash pad, dog park, and space for cultural events and performances. Renovated in 2012, it offers various amenities such as an outdoor bar, underground parking garage, and water playgrounds.
This park is awesome. So much to do on the playground for all ages. There’s a castle with slides and hiding places, large astroturf wobble board-like structures, a sandbox, and so much more. The vibes are good — friendly parents and kids, very diverse families and very clean!
Katie R — Google review
This is a nice park in the downtown. It has a play area for kids. Has musical fountain. Beautiful views of Cincinnati music hall. It’s a big park, perfect for kids. Nice walking path all around. Lot of greenery as well.
Nidhi K — Google review
It's a very nice green space with splash pad type skippers located for kids to play. They also have a play area. Cleanish free restrooms. Nice shaded areas with benches to enjoy a picnic. Nice view of the concert hall. Easy to find parking on a holiday. We saw many people doing picnics.
Namitha S — Google review
Washington Park is a lot of fun. They have something for almost everyone. If you want a drink, there is a walk-up bar. If you want some food, they have food trucks parked along the outside of the park. If you want to read a book, you can sit alongside (and even inside) the gazebo. There are water features to cook down your dog on a hot day. Maybe most importantly, the bathrooms are clean and functional. Great spot for everyone in the community and the Connector runs right by and has a stop that lets you off right at the heart of it all. Cool spot.
Derek — Google review
Truly a must see music hall, The tours cost $20 and there are inside and outside tours. I did the inside tour and it was amazing! Love the story of the history of the music hall they even played the organ for us in the ballroom at the end. Ask them to play the organ and they may do it for you.
Dan A — Google review
Wonderful urban Park with a vibrant history. The surrounding shops (including Findlay market) and restaurants make it super easy to have a picnic here. The dog park is also top notch with an amazing water feature running through it for the dogs to play and cool off in. The outdoor bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. An outdoor jungle gym and splash pad round out the offerings. With a little something for everyone, Washington Park is a real gem.
Drew H — Google review
There's nothing quite like the tranquil atmosphere—the gentle pulse of live music, a cold cocktail in hand, or simply taking in the scene as others dance. It makes for an unforgettable moment every time.
Christina S — Google review
One of my favorite parks to go to in Cincinnati. The dog park is fun for my lil Frenchie and kids love it too. They have many FREE events throughout the week. Be sure to subscribe to their email list for details.

Ault Park, located in Cincinnati's Mount Lookout neighborhood, is a sprawling 223-acre park known for its historic 1930s pavilion and picturesque landscapes. Named after Levi Addison and Ida May Ault, the park offers stunning views of the Little Miami River Valley from its scenic hilltop. The Italian Renaissance-style pavilion is a popular spot for public and private events, while the formal gardens, nature trails, and cascade fountains make it a favorite location for portrait sessions.
Ault Park is absolutely beautiful! It’s a perfect place to walk, relax, and enjoy nature. The landscaping is stunning — there are so many flowers, unique shrubs, and trees to admire, especially for plant lovers. It’s a very spacious park with plenty of greenery, open areas, and scenic views. You can visit with kids or pets — it’s family- and dog-friendly. There’s also a large parking area, which makes it really convenient. Definitely one of the most peaceful and well-kept parks in the city!
Lika A — Google review
I've been here 2-3 times now (new to the area) and despite trying to come up with something negative to say about this park, I cannot. It's a beautiful park. Well maintained, not crowded, and great views of the surrounding area. It's an old school park thoughtfully designed for brief walks, fresh air, and relaxation. It is not a huge state park lending itself for miles and miles of hiking (at least from what I've seen so far).
James R — Google review
TBH, I’m not generally at this park a lot. But it does have some great features, like the big pavilion in the main area with its large water feature in the middle of the stairway area. That area is also flanked by floral gardens that (last I checked) are planted and cared for by various organizations and normal citizens of the city. There are also hiking trails, picnic tables, a grove of cherry blossom trees. Etc. can’t beat it for a city tour if you have “out of towners” visiting in the Hyde park area.
Keith V — Google review
This park is absolutely beautiful even with the beginning of spring which was when these pictures were taken (late March 2025). Theres a paved walking path along the park, an open grass area for picnics or reading, an observatory, an overlook & more. I was hoping the cherry blossom trees would have been in peak bloom but I think I was there a week or two early. Nonetheless, still a beautiful park to explore!
April D — Google review
Perfect for a sunset walk. Views are amazing. Both the botanical gardens and the walking trails were very fun to walk through.
Whitney M — Google review
Beautiful well cultivated and managed park. Great place to rest and enjoy the peace and quiet on a Monday before riding back down the hill to the trail.
Paul W — Google review
Enjoyed walking the park and gardens. Some trails are available through the woods. Convenient to hiking/walking in the Observatory area. We got in a 3+ mile walk in the area. Plenty of elevation changes.

Eden Park, located in the historic Mt. Adams neighborhood of Cincinnati, is a sprawling 186-acre public park offering a variety of attractions for visitors. The park features gardens, walking paths, and scenic views of the Ohio River and northern Kentucky. It is home to the Cincinnati Art Museum and the Krohn Conservatory, which houses several large greenhouses showcasing over 3,500 plant species.
A beautiful place to visit. So much wonderful foliage in pretty displays and it is affordable as well. (Adult price $10) They have a butterfly house you can enter, too. Some advice if you decide to visit the butterflies - wear pink or red, it attracts them. You are not given any nectar to attract them to you, so I would suggest wearing some kind of citrus or lavender scent for an added experience. Have fun!
DAWN M — Google review
Eden Park is one of most popular and well known parks in Cincinnati. The amazing views are just one of many attractions. It also has numerous walking paths that meander throughout this beautiful park. There is also a conservatory, Mirror Lake and a recreation area. There is also much more to see and do.
RJD — Google review
This park was absolutely beautiful. Eden is the perfect name. Everything is perfectly maintained, the grounds are immaculate and there is plenty to do There are nature paths, stunning views and lots of historical art pieces. The playgrounds are also art pieces that you can play on. If you are in town give yourself a few hours to see everything.
Soloman C — Google review
Nice park. Picnic tables and shelters available. We had kids in the car that needed to burn off some energy and it's right off I-75. Playground equipment has zip line, climbing tower, swings, slides. Some kids were a bit over bearing and inconsiderate, foul language, pouring water down the slides. Clean bathrooms, so it's a good stop for breaking up a long drive.
Debbie L — Google review
I love it here. It's a beautiful park and the pond with the bridge makes it almost magical! Amazing spot for pictures. Nighttime is the best with the overlook of the river and city scape!

Mt. Airy Forest is a sprawling 1,459-acre park, making it the largest in Cincinnati. It offers diverse hiking and horseback riding trails suitable for all skill levels, as well as mountain biking trails for adventure seekers. The park features a unique treehouse that is wheelchair accessible, a dog park for furry friends to roam freely, and even a disc golf course for enthusiasts.
Mt. Airy forest is by far one of the best parks in the area for walking, hiking, and biking. A vast selection of trails that you could spend an entire day exploring and still not find all of it. Beautiful views, scenery, and well kept trails. The spring and autumn are especially gorgeous at this park and spending a day at the lake is amazing
Noah — Google review
This is a super fun forest, I enjoy hiking along the creek, and my friend found a rock shaped like Ohio! There's also some tunnels you can hike through! 10/10 would recommend for a great time!
Coco N — Google review
Very good getaway place from city life or for picnic especially for family. 1. Parks offers trails which are not too great but decent and enjoyable with family and friends. But not for long distance hiking. They are short but beautiful with greenery. 2. There is small river but it dried up when I went. But it would have been beautiful if there is water. 3. There is tree house, which is interesting but was closed when we went for maintenance. But signs shows it would open for spring. 4. There are restrooms and surprised well maintained. 5. There are picnic areas with shelter and parks for kids. Lots of open space for fun. 6. Good parking lot space and free. 7. No Entrance fee, absolutely free. 8. We saw wedding happening in the park, so can book for wedding too. Congrats to new couple and it was beautiful. They are lovely together and I liked they did tied knot in the beautiful nature.
Hitro — Google review
I am from California and was just visiting for a few days. I was looking for something to do with my kids. This place is really nice I wish I had more time to hike the trails more. I recommend this place to anyone it has trails, frizbee golf, play ground and a small pond nice place to take pictures.
C L — Google review
First time coming and I came mainly for the tree house which was closed. We were recommended here by my husband coworker.
Emma G — Google review
Great hiking trails. We took our son and his friend for an afternoon hike. It was very nice. It wasn't crowded. The trails are slightly challenging, but something a novice can handle.
Russell H — Google review
I really like this park. It of course gets pretty busy sometimes but there are a few different areas depending on what you are going for. We have had 2 baby showers here at the shelter twords the bottom of the park where it circles around. There are some nice trails and a big tree house that the kids always think it's pretty neat. We didn't maternity pics around there for my daughter when she was pregnant with her first and they turned out beautifully. We haven't went to the play area because it is usually pretty packed there a lot of times but there is a play area across from where the tree house is and there is another side where you can grill or walk around. There is frisbee toss on that side as well
Mary H — Google review
Awesome experience. Here for an event, stone steps run. Loved it will come back again. I forgot how much I enjoy this park.

Otto Armleder Memorial Park, located near the Little Miami Scenic River in Cincinnati, is a vast 238-acre area offering a variety of outdoor activities. Managed by the Cincinnati Park Board and other organizations, it features hiking and biking trails, sports fields, picnic areas, playgrounds, and a 10-acre dog park with separate spaces for small and large breed dogs. The park's expansive trails include a 10-mile route connecting to Lunken Airport.
I really like coming here on my lunch break at work. It's very clean, there's always a ton of spots to park, and it's a nice quiet spot on the river
Kristy U — Google review
Beautiful park, lots of walking trails.
Dan G — Google review
One of the best dog parks. huge, free entry, small dog area included. Only downside is some owners are trash, and are okay with their dogs being aggressive. OR small dog owners that flip out when they take their little rat to the big dog sides and the big dogs push them around. But that’s not a fault for the park. One of if not the best dog park in cincy.
David G — Google review
Best dog park I’ve been to in Cincinnati. Three sections: two big dog areas and one small dog area. The big dog areas are huge and the dogs have almost always been friendly. Plenty of tree shade. Walking trail in the area as well There is also a 4th fenced in dog area across the street.
Callum — Google review
Great park to walk around. I'll come here on lunch break and roam around. Right by the Little Miami River, so it's cool to see the running water.
Eric B — Google review
Great Park to take the Dogs~ Separate areas for small and bigger dogs, water stations, bench to sit, just make sure to pick up area your pets
Jevona S — Google review
As of January 3rd 2021, the river has risen. The park isn't flooded, but it is saturated from rain. The trail from Otto Armleder to Lunken Airport is flooded. The park is muddy from the rain. That didn't stop anyone from walking the pace trail or the trail by the river. It didn't stop dogs and their owners from visiting the dog parks. It's a very lovely park with a paved trail wide enough for social distancing.

Alms Park, situated atop Mt. Tusculum on Cincinnati's east side, spans 94 acres and offers stunning panoramic views of the Ohio River, Little Miami River, northern Kentucky hills, and Lunken Airport. The park boasts hiking trails, a playground, picnic areas, and a pavilion for events. With its slightly lower profile compared to other pavilion parks in the area, Alms Park tends to have smaller crowds.
Beautiful park that has scenic views of the surrounding area from the hilltop observation area. The park is very well maintained and also has a pavilion, trails, playground, shelter house, and restrooms.
RJD — Google review
Lovely park with views of the Ohio River and Lunkin Airport. Nice benches to sit at and a playground for children. Bathrooms are generally available in the pavilion. Tranquil space! Parking is on the left side of the street, no lots are available.
Emma C — Google review
It hard to belive that I haven't been to Alms Park in over a half century. We used to come here often because Pop-up grew at the bottom of the hill. I still remember my first snow sled ride and the stone slide about 60 years ago.
Timothy W — Google review
★☆☆☆☆ Popularity ★☆☆☆☆ Size/Location ★★★★☆ Terrain ★★★☆☆ Scenery ★★☆☆☆ Accessibility ★★★☆☆ Amenities ★★★★★ Condition ★★★★★ Safety Date visited: 09/16/2023 On a scorching summer day, I visited Alms Park perched atop a hill, known for its picturesque views and serene surroundings. As I approached, there was no visible parking lot in sight, but I managed to secure a spot along the roadside. The road was lined with cars, and a service truck hinted at preparations for an event, likely a wedding set to take place in the pavilion. This pavilion, situated at the heart of the park, rested on top of a mound. However, it was bustling with activity, dominated by Latino workers and other guests. Their presence made it difficult for me to explore this particular area. Opposite the pavilion, a pergola provided a delightful alternative. It offered a serene overlook of the airport field below and distant mountains, creating a captivating view that contrasted the intense summer heat. Further southwest within the park, I discovered yet another overlook area. Here, a few older gentlemen sought refuge from the scorching September sun, sitting on the hot concrete and gazing at Luken Field and the horizon beyond. It was a moment that seemed to embody reflection on the past, appreciation of the present, and contemplation of the future. As I ventured deeper into the park, I noticed a nature trail that led into a wooded area below. The temptation to explore was strong, but I opted to save it for another day. The park boasted a variety of amenities, including a children's playground, picnic tables, and grills. Families were making the most of these features, creating a lively and inviting atmosphere that I didn't wish to disturb. Overall, this park atop the hill offered a pleasant escape from the summer heat. The road leading to and within the park was well-shaded, making it an ideal location for a leisurely walk or hike any day of the week.

I went for a short photo shoot which it’s perfect for, but it’s also a nice place to hike/walk the trails and have a picnic. The pavilion and other areas can be reserved for events. I plan to visit again.

Sawyer Point Park is a bustling riverfront park in Cincinnati, offering a variety of activities and amenities for both locals and visitors. The park features a pavilion, concessions, tennis and volleyball courts, a playground, and docks along the river. It's a popular destination for families, sports enthusiasts, and those seeking outdoor entertainment. The outdoor amphitheater hosts live concerts and events while the eight tennis courts and three volleyball courts are frequented by active locals.
Sawyer Point Park is such a nice place to hang out, and we really enjoy coming here. We came for Oktoberfest right at open on a Saturday, and it was perfect — not too crowded yet, so we had plenty of space to walk around, grab food, and check everything out without feeling rushed. The park itself is big, clean, and well-organized, which makes it a great spot whether you’re here for a big festival or just to relax by the river. The atmosphere is welcoming, and it’s an awesome place to spend time with friends or family. We’re lucky to have a place like this in Cincinnati. Definitely worth checking out for events or just a casual visit!

Great location, right in the city! Good space with a beautifully designed platform. However, the grounds are somewhat neglected and unkempt. Entry is somehow hidden and slows traffic. It is difficult to figure out how to get there as the address is invisible and road signs are missing. Construction is ongoing. Be careful when visiting the restroom. They are pitched on uneven grounds and may falĺ on you.

98% of the vendors only take credit / debit cards. I made the mistake of only taking cash the first day. I only was able to walk around part of the day. It was hot and I needed water. A kind Bender offered two bottles of water from there employee cooler. Imagine that I tipped well for those. A big thank you! Oktoberfest was great!

French Park, situated in Amberley Village, is a charming 275-acre public park with a rich history. The park features an early 1900s mansion that serves as a venue for various events. It offers picturesque woods, meadows, and trails for visitors to explore. One of the main draws for photographers is the expansive wildflower field that blooms from spring to early fall, along with the striking evergreen trees that provide an ideal backdrop for outdoor photoshoots.
My family loved visiting French Park. Spacious grounds and plenty of picnic tables. We liked hiking the trail that followed the creek. Lots of wildflowers and a variety of birds. We even saw a pileated woodpecker! The trail is secluded and quiet. I highly recommend a visit!

I live down south but when I come back home to Cincinnati, my cousin and I celebrate with family gatherings here it’s been that way our whole lives would like to catch the crawdads in the creek. There’s grills there’s tables there’s trees. There’s a beautiful view. It’s a mixed crowd and we love it.

Nice little park there’s some decent ascent up the hill along the trails we could usually walk around the whole park in one day or a couple hours. Definitely wanna come back again and finish the trails. It’s kind of hot that day you got a little winded.

T. M. Berry International Friendship Park is a narrow green space along Cincinnati's eastern Ohio River waterfront, dedicated to the city's first African American mayor. The park features walking and bike trails, as well as impressive sculptures and flora designed to mimic a children's friendship bracelet pattern. It is part of Cincinnati's riverwalk, offering majestic upriver views and access to other nearby parks like Sawyer Point and Smale Riverfront Park.
THIS PARK IS BEAUTIFUL 💕💕 Dedicated to a man with history and purpose. Beautiful landscaping and views of the Ohio River and downtown. Peaceful, quiet, and serene. Paved walking path. Restrooms. Places to sit. Dog friendly. Kid friendly. Bike rental station in parking lot. Free 2 hour parking lot. You must stop here!!!

A peaceful and beautifully designed park along the river with gardens and sculptures representing global unity. Great spot for a scenic walk, bike ride, or quiet reflection. A hidden gem celebrating international friendship right in Cincinnati!
Vishnu R — Google review
My husband and I were going to picnic at a park down the street from here, but thanks to a swarm of sports fans attending Bengals Training Camp, we couldn't go to that park and had to find another. The International Friendship Park was a few minutes away, and it was our first visit. Part of the parking lot is cut off, but there was enough parking, and that's considering that it was a Saturday afternoon and there were multiple joggers, dog walkers, cyclists, and a wedding party taking photos. Other than crisscrossing pathways, there are benches, trash cans, and a few odd structures to see. We picnicked close to the Castle of Air, which is the mirrored structure in the photos attached to this review. The park seems to be themed around various parts of the world, but it wasn't entirely clear why or what was unique about each section. I should mention that the far left (if you're facing the river) part of the park seems unfinished. It's mostly unwieldy grass surrounding a worn pathway, and upon walking through it to the other side, we discovered a shaded area with a building that was reserved for some event. So the park does feel unfinished and a little exclusionary. Overall, this was a decent park that provided my husband some opportunities for photography, but its theming isn't clear and it does seem to be grasping to find its own identity. Still, not a bad way to spend an hour or two if you love parks with paved places to walk or play.

A very unique park along the Ohio river. Lots of interesting structures and plants along the way so make sure to stop at each of them! The park runs alongside the river so you will be able to see it at all times. Come here after dark to be treated to a beautiful lit up skyline.

For those seeking a delightful evening out, Vista at Lytle Park offers a rooftop bar and event venue with stunning views overlooking the park and the city. Additionally, Top of the Park at The Phelps provides a stylish setting for enjoying drinks and small bites with a panoramic view of the Downtown District.
We have not been to this park since it was rebuilt. I must say they did a wonderful job making a beautiful park worthy of the historic Lytle area.

Saw this place on tick tock. It was about they're brunch. I was looking for a new spot to try. This place totally disappointed in that area. It was gorgeous beautiful vibes decent staff. We had bacon Jerry instead of bacon. My sister could've played hockey with her biscuit. I had the lemon curd pancakes they were lovely.

Wonderful property, the hotel was clean, staff was extremely pleasant. The rooftop bar was wonderful, although cold during my stay. My complaint of our stay would be the awkward layout of the suite. The closest for clothing storage, and the bathroom can only be accessed by exiting the bedroom. Night use of the restroom was very inconvenient as well as dressing when you must leave the room, walk out and through the seating area each time. This was the Terrain 2 room suite, not sure if all are the same layout but this was very inconvenient. Expect to do a lot of tipping, from room service, ice needs, valet, cleaning... Just a lot of tipping. We would recommend this as a romantic, special occasion, long stay business, get away stay. The Lytle was AWESOME! 4 stars only because of the room layout.

Nestled in Cincinnati, the California Woods Nature Preserve spans 113 acres and offers a nature center, diverse wildlife, and hiking trails. The preserve boasts over 50 tree species and more than 200 types of plants. Visitors can spot kingfishers, snapping turtles, wood ducks, great horned owls, and beavers along the Lick Run Creek that flows through the park. Additionally, it is adjacent to the Magrish Preserve which is renowned as an Important Birding Area.
Nice place with lot of hiking trails ranging from 0.6 miles till 1.6 miles. Can go with kids. No dogs allowed. There is no entry fees to visit the park. Open every day from dawn to dusk except the days when the creek flowing in park is flooding the road

Very cool area with running water, lots of cool bridges as well as multiple trailheads. Parking can be an issue and there is only one 1 way lane to get into the area, so be prepared to have to squeeze your car over to let others get by. Also, check out that shack. Jason voorhees definitely lives there.

Love working on my nature photography here, the trails are great as well. Have some that are a bit harder (note for the elderly an those with little ones) but have some there that are perfect for any ages. Truly my favorite hiking spot.

An escape to nature so close to the city! Well marked trails. Some are a bit overgrown but still totally visible. The road is narrow entering.
Emma C — Google review
Very quiet other than a few planes from Lunkin. Very few people on the trails. A little challenging if a car is trying to leave when you are entering. The ~.25 mile lane is one car wide. We did the longer trail California Woods Trail (only 2.7 miles though) and do not recommend due to how much the trails are grown up. We did appreciate the almost complete shade for the full trail length. Probably won't do this one again.
Jon A — Google review
A lovely place to walk, relax, and escape the noise and blazing sun. The only inconvenient thing is that they only have one entrance. It has free Wi-Fi and parking under the shade of the trees. The place is very nice, and no one bothers you.

Well maintained park that has paved walking paths, pavilion, playground equipment, basketball and tennis courts, shelter house and scenic views of Cincinnati and the Ohio River.

Loved getting a box of chicken, throwing the kids in the car. They got to play on the slide & swings. We all would walk the trails in the woods, that run down the side of the hills. They are just above river road, & Steiner ave. Great park to climb trees. Grill hot dogs, detail your car. Plus, plus, overlooks downtown Cincinnati, looking from west view, one can see the west side view of downtown skyline.

I visited Mt Echo on a beautiful fall day. The views of the Ohio River and downtown Cincinnati are the stars of this park. There is a nice pavilion that can be rented for events. There are a few very nice tennis and basketball courts. I found one hiking trail, and like most trails in Cincinnati there is a lot of up and down. The leaves made the rock steps a bit slippery, but was easily navigated.
Kevin G — Google review
A spacious park with a good nature walk for families to enjoy. A surprisingly large variety of large trees with nice nature quote signs which welcome every step of the trail. My children enjoyed the fun playground. There is a large area of basketball and tennis courts. The pavilion was a fun visit with tremendous acoustics. The pavilion and shelters are available for reservations. The views from the hill of the Ohio River and downtown Cincinnati are absolutely stunning and well worth the trip. In our short visit, we saw no less than a dozen skinks! The park is beautiful, but minus 1 star as it seems some visitors do not care to keep it beautiful. There is a lot of trash simply thrown on the sides. However, I highly recommend a visit to Mt Echo Park. The views are seriously worth the trip!

I had the pleasure of visiting Mt. Echo Park today, and let me tell you, it was simply breathtaking. The park is perched atop a hill, offering a panoramic view of downtown Cincinnati that's nothing short of spectacular. It's truly a picture-perfect view, one that showcases the beauty of both nature and the city's architecture. The trails at Mt. Echo Park are all paved and incredibly well-maintained, making it a breeze to explore the park. It only takes about 20 minutes to complete the loop, but for me, it took a bit longer because I simply couldn't resist stopping and admiring the views from every angle. I wasn't the only one taking in the views either - I saw many people sitting or standing near the edge of the park, enjoying the picturesque landscape and the pleasant breeze of early spring. And who could blame them? It's the kind of view that leaves you in awe, and I found myself feeling grateful to be surrounded by such natural beauty. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Mt. Echo Park to anyone in the Cincinnati area. The views are truly unforgettable and the well-maintained trails make it easy to explore the park at your own pace. It's the perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and simply soak up the beauty of nature.

This place is not super big, but it is an excellent place for taking photos. Nice angle of the city, an older building with platforms, pillars, and plenty of little nooks and crannies to get creative. Plenty of open grassy hills and walkways. Nestled in Covington, Kentucky, Goebel Park is a delightful destination that combines charm and history. Named after the state's only assassinated governor, William Goebel, this park features a stunning German-style clock tower that has become its centerpiece since its construction in 1979. Visitors can enjoy an enchanting hourly puppet show of the Pied Piper of Hamlin from April to December while relaxing on the promenade with treats from a nearby candy shop.
Went for the Covington taco and Margarita fest and once before after getting ice cream at Pipers nearby. I really enjoyed all the seating, the make up of the park and the location of it. The fest was very pleasant as well. Will return to the park again and again.

This is a nice park but was disappointed when the clock didn't chime at the designated time. 5:35 pm. We even waited until 6 to see if it chimed on the hour, but no. Then came back just before 7:35 pm and still no chime at that time either. 🙁

Went to the taco festival at Goebel Park. Found a great free parking spot on the street but there were paid parking lots also available. Lots of shade and tables and chairs set up under the big trees made this experience so much better. Plenty of seating. Too many festivals have only one tent with tables and chairs and everyone is crammed in to eat their food. Two thumbs up to the event planners of Goebel Park! Nice playground for the kids and restrooms. Will definitely go back for another Festival at this park.

Lovely park. There is a community garden. The park has a play fixture for smaller children and larger one for larger kids. There is also the beautiful large cuckoo. Unfortunately it chimes but the pied piper was not working for our visit. The clock chimes hourly but the pied piper has exact times.

I thought it was so cool but then I found several needle caps and rappers I'm sure there are probably other drug paraphernalia. Nice park in Cincinnati with lush greenery. Sometimes, you need to be careful of the homeless people asking you for money and cigarette. I was fortunate to meet a well behaved homeless person. I offered him food and drinks. The pond/pool is not operational throughout the year. It's only filled during tourist season. I came to this park just to see the pond but when I came it was empty. The positive aspect is it has a restroom which can be used for free unlike the parks in Europe where you've to pay 70 cents

The square itself features a fountain, benches, and lawns surrounded by an array of shops and restaurants. Come on Sunday and enjoy the market. Parking on the street is available and you get to shop from local vendors enjoy a treat (popsicles, cookies, muffins, etc.) and listen to live music. You can get breakfast or lunch from vendors at the market or from the many store front businesses in the area.

Wonderful place for a farmers market. It would benefit from more chairs. Also, there were a couple playing music in the sun! It was so hot and the only place they could set their stuff was in the sun. I wish there was a way to keep them cool and in the shade. The farmers market was a bit pricey, but the tea booth was amazing. They had great and refreshing combinations. The Popsicles were pretty good too.
Javiera M — Google review
This small square has a great little farmers market early on Sundays in warmer months. The market is nice. The surrounding buildings are mostly nice businesses and apartments from the first half of last century, including some in classical and Art Deco styles. The park-like center of the square is mostly shaded by trees, with a nice little fountain and a flagpole. It is quite pleasant during the market, and had live music while we were there. Without the streets blocked off for that event, I fear it would be bit less pleasant with more traffic to dodge to get into the park-like central part of the square, and more road noise.

This park has the absolute best view of downtown Cincinnati. It's not a big park, but it's a great place to sit and relax. Surrounded by beautiful, historic homes and just blocks away from coffee shops, restaurants, and more, it's a great area to walk and enjoy the scenery. Take a walk down the riverside, as well. Street parking available, but parking can be tight at times. Some spots may be metered. A hot spot for wedding photos (I should know!)

I love this park! Especially at night! It was a warm, clear sky night with a cool breeze, the lights reflecting off of the river, man. What a view! It can get a little crowded at times! But when it's not, it's a very zenful place!!!

Juilfs Park in Cincinnati is a family-friendly destination offering a wide range of activities for all ages. The park features hike/bike trails, farm-themed playgrounds, sandpits, tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts, soccer fields, and expansive green spaces. A recent renovation added a water play area with farm-themed aqua sprayers and a dry playground. Additionally, the park boasts baseball diamonds and picnic areas with shelters to enjoy outdoor gatherings.
Amazing playground! Lots of different equipment to keep the kids occupied. Very clean park & safe environment. We loved that there is a blend of shaded and sunny areas on the playground. Keeps the kids from overheating!

Nice neighborhood park, with everything you'd expect to find: ball fields, picnic shelters, playgrounds, and a walking track with benches in shady spots. A pleasant place to spend a little time outside. The parking lot from Clough Rd is pretty bad. Terrible sight lines and narrow laneways between the rows of parked kid haulers make it borderline dangerous, driving or walking. Avoid it by parking in the lower lot if you can.

This is a very nice public space and the Anderson Parks Department takes very good care of it. Anderson along with a lot of the Cincinnati area was hit recently by some very hard winds and there were some trees toppled in the park and I was there the next morning and at 9:00 they had already cleaned most of it up. A day later you could not really tell that much had happened. The paved Loop is very nice for walking, and some people jog there. Although you clearly have to dodge a fair number of pedestrians if you're running there and it's not a long Loop for a runner about a mile. During the evenings in nicer weather there are soccer games and baseball games and softball games, mostly for youth leagues of some sort in the early evening. These are very nice, but then the paved Loop is often blocked, not by the parents (who usually bring folding chairs and sit on the grass inside the loop) but by the hundreds of siblings of the players who run around unsupervised and play various games in the middle of the path and tend not to be very observant of what else is going on. As always, look out for those who are careless of others riding large or motorized bicycles. But at other times the park is often very peaceful and idyllic, with some beautiful flowering trees in the spring. One can get a very different impression depending upon when one is there. If the back lot is full of f-350 size trucks you know there's a youth baseball game on.

This is a lovely park in a serene environment. There are plenty of play fixtures for the kids to use. The splash pad was not functioning due to the winter season so I could not see how it works. There is a lot of open space and a mini trail for walking around the area. It was nice.👍

Fernbank Park is a park located on the west side of Cincinnati that offers hiking and biking trails, a playground, picnics, and fishing on the Ohio River. The park is well maintained and has a nice mix of natural areas with paved paths.
My family loves this park. The river views are so refreshing after a long day. We love watching the barges embark down the Ohio River. It’s so peaceful. You can walk right down to the river’s edge and watch the waves as boats speed by. The playground is very large with a fence around it. A mom could easily sit and relax knowing her kids are safe inside. The bathrooms are closed during the winter but they have a convenient portalet which was conveniently clean. There were tons of dogs with owners on leashes.
Casi W — Google review
It's such a beautiful park with great views of the river. So many different types of birds, too! There is a paved walking path as well as a nature trail. The trail tends to stay on the muddy side...except in the summer. The bathroom is nice for a park. Only bummer is the rail road tracks, which run right in front of the park and can be pretty loud when a train goes by. There is one playground that has remained closed after the flood. Great running!

This was our first time here. We will be back. The entire park was clean. The walking paths were very nice and there was plenty of space for people to pass each other. There was plenty of parking and the rest rooms were clean. Excellent views of the Ohio River as well.

★ Popularity: Locally known. ★ Size/Location: Medium. ★ Business Type: Park, Trails. ★ Business Hour: Dawn to dusk. ★ Activities: Outdoor activities. ★ Reservation: None. ★ Parking: Spacious. ★ Accessibility: Handicapped parking lots. ★ Facilities: Restroom, children playground, shelters, lodges. ★ Staff: Park rangers. ★ Pet-friendliness: Pets are allowed. ★ Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome. ★ Expense: Free. Fernbank Park is truly a gem with its diverse offerings. As I strolled through the park, I was in awe of the breathtaking view of Ohio River that can be seen from the paved trail. The trail itself was clean and well-maintained, making for an enjoyable walk. On my way, I stumbled upon a large playground, perfect for children to enjoy while parents take in the view. But that's not all. The park also boasts a variety of man-made structures scattered throughout the nature trail, which adds a sense of intrigue and wonder to the already scenic walk. And if you're looking for a place to hold a big event, there are even shelters and a lodge available for rent. Overall, Fernbank Park is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a bit of adventure and a stunning view of the Ohio River. Whether you choose to explore the paved trail or venture out into the woods on the nature trail, you won't be disappointed.

Park
Buttercup Valley Preserve, located in Cincinnati's Northside district, is an 89-acre nature preserve connected to Parkers Woods. This contiguous green space area offers beautiful trails and protects a forested region that has remained undeveloped since Ohio's pioneer days. Many of the trees in the preserve are over 200 years old, adding to its natural charm.
Very pretty little nature reserve right in the middle of the city. It is shockingly quiet and peaceful. We only saw one other person out hiking the trails. The preserve is pet-friendly and has lots of pretty bridges and a small river you can play in. The entrances are kind of hidden in neighborhoods with street parking only.
Kelley — Google review
Easy to access- lovely spot of green with trails. Can get slippery when it rains, due to minor inclines.
KP G — Google review
A lovely nature preserve surrounded by urban sprawl. It is moderately peaceful. The walking trails have several neat wooden bridges over small streams. Large, old trees of many varieties provide a shady canopy on hot sunny days. My family visited in October just as the leaves were beginning to change. Absolutely beautiful! Also, the trails were not busy at all. You park at a dead end of neighborhoods to enter the trails.

Pretty good city park. We went in on Northview off of Stanford. Spent a couple of hours hiking around. Its a good hike down to the creek and back. Dirt path and some good hills. Signage isn't all that great. I think there's a good bit we missed too over by the school. Phone died on trip so I lost my online map. Will definitely go back.

Great place for a walk in the woods. Love bringing the kids out and letting them explore. Occasionally meet other hikers or people walking dogs, but typically a nice place for solitude. We decided to go adventuring here a few weeks ago to take advantage of the fickle Cincinnati weather. I was disappointed that there isn't a dog park. Great park in Madisonville. There is no litter, no evidence of criminal activity and you can always count on at least one family having a party there on the weekend. The park features eight play zones designed to captivate kids' attention for extended periods, including an infant/toddler area, a colorful maze for sensory stimulation, and a 14-foot mega tower for climbing and playing.
This is an awesome playground park for kids. It has towering slides and all kinds of cool features like swings, zipline, hills, tunnels, and a maze. Also has musical instruments like drums, pipes, ext. Kids had a blast and ask to go there all the time, lol

The park offers stunning views of the city skyline, including some of the most famous buildings in Ohio and also the river. What a hidden gem… I’ve lived in Cincinnati area for over 50 years and this is the first time I’ve ever seen this park. It is so cute. Great city view. There’s also picnic in on the side of the hill that is shaded.
J. B — Google review
It's a nice small park, there seems to be a booth that was once in commission but out of commission now , just aging there. No public restrooms , a big field to play soccer, football or perhaps baseball. Half a court for basketball I think. Main parking in front of the building but extra towards the back near the basketball court. Main parking is going straight when you enter , extra parking (no parking lines) are to the right after you enter from the main road. There are some tables that are covered , 2 benches in the open overlooking the view. You can but don't think you should sit on the ledge over the hill, it can be dangerous. There's a small path you can take to walk around the park but not much to offer. It's mainly a scenic spot. Getting there can be a hassle, the main road can fit 1 car at a time unless you or the other drive move to accommodate the other. Very heavy UC students presence

I believe this will forever be my favorite spot in Cincinnati to watch the sunset and see the city lights at night. There’s a little trail through the woods and a cliff, and it is literally the best spot ever and if you sit out in the main front of the park after dark, you can see the whole city lit up. It’s quite beautiful.

A good place to look at Cincinnati Downtown , Ohio River and Kentucky. A little bit too far for 28/35mm lens, better have a 200 mm or 400 mm on a clear day. Very small park, not a lot of people, good for a walk and picnic. Free parking, plenty of places. Worth a stop by. Park closest to at 10:00pm.

As I made my way around the park, I couldn't help but notice the diverse group of people enjoying the park as well. There were couples taking a leisurely stroll along the lake, families playing at the playground, and even a group of friends riding bikes on the trails. Speaking of trails, they were amazing! The paved paths were smooth and well-maintained, making for a comfortable walk. The scenic views along the way were simply breathtaking. Ziegler Park, located in Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, is a collaborative effort between Cincinnati Parks, the Cincinnati Recreation Commission, and 3CDC. The park offers a variety of amenities including a playground, lawn area, pool, basketball courts, and games. One of its highlights is the free sprayground at the center of the park which provides a refreshing way for kids to cool off after playing at the dry playground.
This park is a great place to relax, exercise, walk your dog, or bring the family for a picnic. The grounds are beautifully manicured offering several flowers, trees, and places to sit. Located in the city it is nice to have a place to enjoy some green grass and shade.

Lesser known maybe than nearby Washington Park, don't let it fool you, Ziegler Park is an amazing park in its own right. A large community pool, splash pad, playground and huge green space and walking trail make this a wonderful draw. A large underground parking garage means access is easy and safe. Also a large selection of nearby restaurants and cafes makes picnics easy. I love walking my dog here and the peaceful neighborhood vibes are a huge draw. Well lit at night, the overhead lights are particularly pretty. Well manicured landscaping really brings spring joy.

I went to a youth enterpernurialship showcase at Ziegler Park in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was strategically hosted on the weekend of Juneteenth 2022. There were so many talented young people of color from age 8 - 17 hosting a table where they sold their product developed in a Sumner youth camp ran by "Sweet Sista Splash" - a brick and morter adjacent to the park. Wonderful time. There was live music, zumba, dancing, and food for purchase. I didn't get pictures with the young enterpernuers there, and I did get photos of other tables. I will definitely come back bext year and bring at least $50 to buy products from the youth.
Mrs. N — Google review
Used to be free for the pool but of course they charge now to make it inaccessible to the poor in which surrounds it. Let the youth resort to violence instead of giving them free activities! Failure of humanity and society
Rachael — Google review
It only takes a few to ruin it for those who do well in this case. After visiting the pool a lot this summer I realized during lap swim how gross it is. With goggles on I saw a diaphragm, at one time about a dozen open safety pins, every day there are band aids and hair weave at the bottom. Yesterday it was so disgusting that I told the staff of several objects which had been in the pool for days. Once the clock was off by about fifteen minutes for two weeks. By and large the lifeguards and staff are kind, but there are a couple life guards who sleep while they are watching their post and won’t enforce the adult swim. Once life guard was at the pool as a guest and he repeatedly broke the rules. Suffice to say management here is lacking. A few tweaks would make it great.

★☆☆☆☆ Popularity ★☆☆☆☆ Size/Location ★★★★★ Terrain ★★★★☆ Scenery ★★★★☆ Accessibility ★★★★☆ Amenities ★★★★★ Condition ★★★★★ Safety Date visited: 09/15/2023 Discovering this park was a delightful surprise during my search for a peaceful lunch spot. As I arrived, I easily found a parking spot in the small, yet empty lot. With no one else around, I relished the opportunity to have the park all to myself. It was a rare and cherished moment of solitude. My journey into the heart of this oasis began with a visit to a charming shelter that featured restrooms and a grill. I was pleased to find the facilities in impeccable condition, a testament to the park's commitment to cleanliness. The park's thoughtful amenities further enhanced my experience. Benches and picnic tables offered ideal spots to savor my meal and soak in the natural surroundings. A well-designed children's playground stood ready for families to enjoy, while strategically placed drinking fountains ensured that visitors remained hydrated during their stay. After a satisfying lunch, I decided to embark on a leisurely walk along the park's impeccably maintained paved trail. What struck me most was the generous canopy of shade provided by the mature trees that lined the path. It was a welcome respite from the sun's rays, and I reveled in the coolness it offered. As I continued my exploration, the trail branched off into a smaller, more rustic nature trail. This charming path wound its way through a peaceful patch of woods, offering a deeper connection with nature. It was during this tranquil interlude that I had an unexpected encounter with a deer. Our eyes met, and for a brief moment, I felt a profound connection with this graceful creature, a connection that transcended words. Very nice park..the playground area is amazing because you can see it at ever angle of the park..I felt safe when my grandkids were playing and I had to walk away. The bathrooms are clean and if their locked they still have a portal potty available. To have a picnic there is such a great idea because the park for the most part is always shady.

The small city park Jackson Hill features a playground and a picnic shelter, as well as a hill with great views of the city. It is well-maintained and free of crowds, making it a great spot to relax.
★☆☆☆☆ Popularity ★☆☆☆☆ Size/Location ★★★★☆ Terrain ★★★☆☆ Scenery ★★★★★ Accessibility ★★★★★ Amenities ★★★☆☆ Condition ★★★★☆ Safety Date visited: 02/25/2024 Perched on a hill, overlooking the city, lay a residential park that had been ony list for some time. On a crisp winter day, bathed in the golden grace of the winter sun, I arrived at Jackson Hill Park. The surrounding area buzzed with the energy of towering buildings, wide avenues, and sprawling parking lots. The park appeared virtually deserted, save for a few pedestrians on the distant sidewalk. It was modest in size, with a central pavilion that housed some picnic tables and benches. Restrooms were attached to the shelter, however locked for the season. The weathered exterior of the shelter told the park's well-worn history. Further in, I came across some benches and a grill; a glimpse of the cityscape was just beyond an overgrown thicket. Winter's bare branches provided an unobstructed of the city sprawled below. A lone stairway snaked down the hillside, connecting the park to the streets below. As I inhaled the crisp winter air or what left of it, a sudden intrusion shattered my meditation. A loud truck rumbled into the park, and two large men emerged, their imposing presence casting a menacing shadow over the peaceful atmosphere. My instincts kicked in, and I ran for dear life toward safety, toward my car. The men proceeded to blast loud music, the kind that youth listened to these days. I could only shake my head and move on. Leaving the park behind, I spotted a mother and her child making their way toward the park. I silently wished them a safe and peaceful visit, unlike my own experience. Overall, despite the unexpected disruption, this little park remained a great place to find calmness in this chaotic world. It's therapeutic to gaze down the city below and wash off all of the worries in your heart.

On my way to the Taft historical site, I spotted this park and stopped in because it just about almost has a view of the city from up here. It doesn't - too overgrown - but it's still a lovely spot. The park includes a covered picnic pavilion with restrooms (locked this morning), a nice playground, a few benches and an obstructed view of the city of Cincinnati.

Highly recommend making the climb up the Main Street Steps. This nice park awaits at the top with a spectacular view!

This park is located across from the Castle or close to Christ Hospital in Mt. Auburn... This is a cool place to have a kids birthday party, have a barbeque, or just chill while your kids play. It's small, but it has restrooms and shade; although this park could use a good cleaning because I have never seen this park clean.

They've done a lot to clean the park of if you choose the parking lot right before the park on the left hand side they have a good view better looking the whole downtown Cincinnati area they've made Leaps and Bounds in the area of cleaning the park up and updating a couple of the swings and things of that nature they also have police that comes through every few hours to run off people it is a nice safe park for children now

Nice park and even a small playground. Great views of downtown. Sometimes feels a bit sketchy during the day; definitely do not recommend stopping by any time early morning or near dusk. Often monitored by police. ("Great midday park" 😬)

One of only a few public park views from Mt Auburn. Good place to wait for someone at Christ Hospital. Walking east down (Dorchester?) towards Sycamore currently affords one a view South over that street as it descends sharply into the downtown basin.

Olden View Park sits at the top of Cincinnati's historic Price Hill Incline, which dates back to 1874. The park offers a paved walking path and benches for visitors to enjoy the view and learn about the neighborhood's history. It was donated to the city by Mr. and Mrs. William H. Whiting, making it a significant part of Cincinnati's heritage. Visitors can also grab a drink or bite at the nearby Incline Public House before heading back down the hill.
I go here all the time whenever I go through a break up, having a bad day, need to think, or just need some scenery. Very nice for people watching. Very good place if you like to have picnics!! I sit on the ledge over looking the city! And you get a very nice view of downtown!! And you have 2 restaurants, a coffee shop, a theatre, and an ice cream place all within walking distance. I love this place so much!!

Absolutely beautiful!!! I didn’t know the name til just now. You have this view at the restaurant or there’s a place outside with benches. When your standing as close to the hill as you can get ( yes it’s safe) it feels for a brief moment your the only one there. Super cool moment. You’ll enjoy it.

A perfect incline, a morning's soft climb, With Cincinnati spread, defying all time. The city awakes, a sight to behold, As new stories bloom, and old ones unfold. A coffee shop waits, with a sign, clear and bright, "We Trust in God," a beacon of light. The aroma of brewing, a comforting haze, A gentle beginning to all of my days. Then down the old street, where the echoes still play, A public house calls, to end the long day. With German draft flowing, a frothy gold stream, And goetta on offer, a delectable dream. Olden View Park, where the breezes all sigh, Overlooking the city, as clouds drift on high. A panoramic canvas, so vibrant and grand, The heart of the Queen City, held firm in my hand. And Primavista beckons, a culinary art, With food to amaze, and to capture your heart. The view from its windows, a treasure untold, A priceless horizon, more precious than gold. The big library stands, with its knowledge so deep, And little free ones, where stories all sleep. A city of wonders, from hill to the street, My perfect incline, oh so wonderfully sweet.

Avon Woods Nature Center and Preserve is a charming natural oasis located in Cincinnati's North Avondale neighborhood, just a short distance from the downtown area. The preserve features picturesque rolling hills, beautifully landscaped garden areas, and a tranquil stream and valley. Visitors can explore various nature trails, including the family-friendly 0.7-mile Avon Woods Nature Trail. Nestled behind the Avon Fields Golf Course, this hidden gem offers about 2.
Very scenic. Peaceful. Easy trail. Great to have this respite in an urban center.

Went on a field trip with Silverton Elementary. Ms. Rachel and Ms. Angel were excellent teachers!
Olivia B — Google review
These trails are located behind the golf course near the back of the park. Though there is a decent amount of elevation change, these trails are not very difficult because they are quite short and well-maintained. In addition, there are wooden steps placed in areas that would otherwise be quite steep and treacherous if the trail were just made of dirt and rock. You could probably walk the entire length of the trails in under thirty minutes. I went when it rained recently and it was still a bit muddy and I didn't have any issues with slipping down the sides of these hills. The trails were not busy and I was the only person walking along them when I visited. Along the trail, I saw a buck with antlers and that was pretty cool to see in an area that is so close to the city.

No one else on the trail this evening. Massive trees in this little park so close to the city. A little vegetation encroachment on some parts of the trail but very clearly marked. Kind of feels like the forest primeval.

I had a very peaceful walk when I was too early to pick my son up after school one day. I identified a variety of plants and trees and observed some very playful squirrels and chipmunks. It's not a big park, but that makes it perfect for a short unplanned walk. No need for preparation!

Hidden gem, small but a great place to explore Cincinnati's watershed geology. There is a nature center but I never know when it is open. I would call first. Love this triple tree.
Mark S — Google review
Great hidden gem tucked between a golf course (Avon Fields) and a couple of neighborhoods. The nature center is rustic with nice, short hiking trails but no amenities to speak of, except for a few picnic tables. The building is only open for specific events so it does not have operating hours, per se.

Beautiful, well-maintained trails. I didn't see any accessible trails, but they are easy to take with children or inexperienced hikers. Clearly marked and wound around the acreage well to allow for excellent views. We personally saw a 10 point buck at a distance of maybe 6 feet, as well as several raccoons. We didn't see any poison ivy, which was amazing for a Cincinnati trail. This place is dog-friendly as well.

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is a renowned animal park and conservatory featuring over 3,000 plant species and a wide array of wildlife exhibits. As the second-oldest zoo in the United States, it offers an immersive experience with more than 500 friendly creatures, including the famous hippo Fiona. Visitors can also explore diverse botanical collections and enjoy interactive activities such as riding the Safari Train, experiencing the Conservation Carousel, and watching captivating shows at the 4-D Theater.
I’ve been to the Cincinnati Zoo several times now, and just went again this past Saturday (drove a little under 2 hours from Indy!). This trip I did the behind-the-scenes hippo tour and WOW—such an awesome experience for a big hippo fan like me! 🦛💙 Definitely a highlight of my visits. It was super hot that day, but thankfully they had a giant misting fan that I kept running back to—it was a lifesaver! 💨 The zoo itself is beautiful 🌳🌸 with so much to see. The elephant exhibit and snack area were wonderful 🐘—you can even eat an elephant ear there (yum! 🍩). Plus, we got to feed the giraffes 🦒, which was right up there with the hippo tour in terms of favorite moments. Just a heads up: it’s really hilly ⛰️ and there’s lots of walking 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️, so comfy shoes are a must. My only complaints: I wish the signage was a little better. I couldn’t find the sloth 🦥 (the app wasn’t up to date either), and the parking lot could use clearer signs too—we actually ended up wandering around a lot we didn’t even park in trying to find our car. 🚗😅 Other than that, always a fantastic time here and I’ll definitely be back again! 🌟
Sarah F — Google review
We drove three hours to visit and it did not disappoint. It was so green and beautiful. It took us about 4 hours to walk through and see everything. Almost all the animals were out. It is a little easy to get lost. There's a lot of paths that cut through by the map on their app helps because it gave you the exact path you need.
Brittany K — Google review
I recently went with my mom for our annual trip, and our last time here was the best time I have had. I do recommend arriving early on busy days and purchasing tickets in advance as there is always a line. However, should you forget (like me), it's quick and easy to purchase on their website when you arrive. I was beyond thrilled to see their Asian small-clawed river otters (even if they were sleeping) and North American river otters! This made my day as otters are my favorite animal. I look forward to the completion of the sea otter exhibit. I do wish the zoo would advertise the otters better; they're not mentioned at all on their zoo map. (If you're wondering, they are located in Siamang Point and Wolf Woods.) The main souvenir shop near the entrance/exit seemed to have a much more limited selection than they did in the past. There are other gift shops per the map, but I kept missing them somehow. Perhaps as more exhibits are completed, they will expand their options. But overall, it was a great day.
Crystal S — Google review
It’s a nice zoo, albeit smaller than I expected. They have all of the types of animals you’d see at any major zoo. It got really crowded on a Sunday afternoon, there was a long line just to get in by 2pm, so come early. It has better landscaping and decor than most zoos.
Thirteendays — Google review
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They seem to genuinely care about the animals. It's a very good environment. It's not very friendly if you have any mobility challenges, but they do offer motorized scooters and other assistance. This is a great zoo!
Ray M — Google review
This zoo is gorgeous! Loved every minute of it. So much to look at and keep the kids entertained. A lot of history as well. The hippos were awesome team Fiona! Paid the 4 bucks for my daughter's to feed the giraffes. Zeke was quite the character. I was surprised to see how gentle he was with my 7 and 5 year old. I went on election day so it was packed! However it was pleasant. The elephants and others were super entertaining as well.
Jaycee R — Google review
Amazing zoo and experience. Easy, ample parking with a short walk, then many exhibits and some with multiple angles and approaches to make sure you see the animals, like the elephants and more. Special events like giraffe feeding and cheetah run are really unique. Kids and adults had an awesome time!

I visited this beautiful place on a date. It was SO fun 💜 We arrived around 1230-1pm. This was about the time they were feeding the cats and they were all out. I got some amazing pictures! I definitely will visit again someday. Thank you!!

Beautiful place, inside and out. Butterflies were AMAZING but good grief be careful it had to be 120 degrees in the exhibit right now with the heat wave!!! We had some good laughs about how sweaty we all were, like a sauna but with butterflies. We had so much fun and the staff was wonderful

Corey B — Google review
We went to the butterfly exhibit. It was really neat! If you’re subject to having heat aversion, I would refrain from going in the heat of the day. The butterflies are most active in the heat, so it’s like a sauna in there. With that said, it was such a fun and educational activity! There’s no touching the butterflies with your bare hands, watching them fly around was just as neat! You could turn it into a scavenger hunt and see how many species you could find. Then walk through the gardens outside. Ticket prices are very fair! They have a little gift shop and an Italian Ice cart as well.
Shawna C — Google review
I really loved the conservatory, as a plant lover and bug lover. It was beautiful to see so many butterflies I work with as a mixed media artist specializing in insect taxidermy, giving them a second life, still enjoying their first life. They were so beautiful! It was hot, but it was worth it.

Spring Grove Cemetery & Arboretum is a sprawling 1840s cemetery and arboretum located in the northern outskirts of Cincinnati. Covering over 700 acres, it is the second largest graveyard in the United States and a National Historic Landmark. The site is home to numerous notable burials, including Civil War generals, baseball players, former mayors, and abolitionists.
Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum is truly a hidden gem in Cincinnati. With its breathtaking 733 acres of beautifully maintained landscapes, it feels more like a stunning park than a cemetery. The variety of native and exotic plants, including the remarkable State and National Champion Trees, is incredible. The history behind the ‘lawn plan’ concept originated here is fascinating, and it’s easy to see why Spring Grove has become a model for cemetery design across the country. Walking through the grounds, you can’t help but admire the peaceful atmosphere and appreciate the artistry in the landscape. The combination of historic architecture, the Centenarian Collection, and the wide-open green spaces makes it a perfect spot for reflection or simply enjoying nature. This place has a heart and soul, offering visitors a magnificent resting place and a serene escape. Whether you’re a history buff, nature lover, or simply searching for a tranquil experience, I highly recommend a visit .

This is a beautiful cemetery with meticulously maintained grounds. Everything is serene, beautiful ,and amazing—the lakes, chapels, mausoleums, trees, gardens, and monuments. We've been a couple of times, and I know there's still so much more to see.

Autumn perfection with history and calm Visited during peak fall color and it was stunning. Rolling lawns, a mirror-still lake with perfect reflections, and maples blazing from gold to deep red. I wandered from stately family mausoleums to quiet benches under the trees—every corner felt peaceful and beautifully kept. What I loved Foliage & light: Late-afternoon sun paints long shadows and sets the canopies on fire—fantastic for photography. Water features: The pond is glassy and ideal for reflections. Historic art & architecture: Sculptures and mausoleums (like ERKENBRECHER, McMASTER, McDONALD) add a timeless, museum-like feel. Space to breathe: Huge grounds, easy to find quiet spots to sit and reflect. Tips Best time for photos: 60–90 minutes before sunset (or early morning for soft light). Drive slowly; there are many narrow lanes and pedestrians. It’s an active cemetery—please be respectful around services and markers. I’ve attached photos from today to show the variety: a tree-lined bench scene, a Gothic-style chapel framed by leaves, brilliant maples, still-water reflections, and several historic monuments. If you’re in Cincinnati in autumn, this is a must-visit.

1848 est - Second largest graveyard in the USA! Bigger than Arlington and gorgeous relaxing scenic place with lakes and botanical garden like landscaping. Many of Cincinnati's Elite & prominent families from its pork & industrial 1800s heydays are laid to rest here. The most expensive recent addition is a 2 million dollar mausoleum 😳 Great for a bike ride, walk or run or just a slow relaxing drive. Highly recommend checking it out. The fall colors are worth noting as there are many varied tree species here. 1848 is when it was sanctified. Many geese goose ducks & swans in and around the ponds. Many Many obelisk type grave markers and beautiful sculptured granite tombs. Many photographers take clients here, wedding photo shoots etc since it's crazy pretty.

This is a beautiful, historic cemetery that gives visitors a glimpse into the historic families of Cincinnati. Many of the monuments and headstones are truly unique works of art. The cemetery is also filled with massive, old growth trees. The roads are winding, so it may be difficult to navigate, but it is a fascinating place to discover.

This was my friends' and I's first time here today. We came for brunch using a reservation on OpenTable. The check in process was seemless and we were seated immediately. The food was spectacular. I got the burger with fries and the shoestring fries were unlike any I had ever had before. They were loaded with flavor and well seasoned. The burger was piled high with fresh toppings and double patties on a fresh baked bun. Beyond the food the drinks were awesome. Everything from the mimosa, to the bourbon espresso martini, and even the wine selection were delicious. Also, don't sleep on the French toast. A friend got it and it was ubforgettable. Overall, great job today and I will be coming back for dinner at some point.

Had brunch here this yesterday and it was excellent! Our server, Chuck, was great-professional yet friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Our meal was fantastic. Everything we ordered was delicious and perfectly seasoned. We split the cornmeal pancakes with berries. My husband loved his omelet and I had the belly buster sandwich, taking half home with me. My husband loved his Bloody Mary and my grapefruit mimosa was delicious. All in all, it was a great start to our Sunday. We were visiting from out of state but hope to return on our next trip to Cincinnati.

We came to Crown and loved everything! We were greeted and welcomed with great customer service and Hannah was a great server. We started with the garlic knots, meatballs with pasta on the side to start and then we all got either wings or burgers and sandwiches. I had a make a mule as a drink

Our whole meal was absolutely delicious from start to finish. My Spa Water cocktail was refreshing and light. The crispy parmesan potatoes didn't stand a chance for our appetizer. YUM. They are probably some of the most delicious potatoes we've ever had. The kitchen definitely knows how to cook a potato because the fries with the CRG burger were fantastic, too. No bags of frozen fries here. My half Amish chicken was cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of spice. We finished it off with the chocolate chip cookie/ice cream sandwich dessert. You can tell they use quality ingredients and know how to make them shine. Our server Abby went above and beyond to make our meal perfect. Thank you for the wonderful meal!!!

This is by far one of the best places I’ve eaten. The food was beyond any expectations we had. Going in, I was a little doubtful: it does not look “fancy” and at five o’clock, there weren’t many people there. By six, it was starting to have a wait, and by the time we exited, it was packed and this was on a week night. The onion soup, crab cake, wedge salad and garlic “knots” were to die for! Our server (not sure of her name but she was awesome: had moved here from NYC) was so knowledgeable about the food and so friendly and helpful. And quick!!

Omg, this place was fantastic. Went here with a few friends on a Wednesday night and it was a great experience. Had the everything garlic knots, very well done with a slightly crispy exterior, but a soft interior. My main was the spaghetti meatballs. The sauce was perfectly balanced and well-seasoned, the wago meatballs were divine. Will definitely come again.

This place can’t get any better! The chicken scallopini was amazing!! Everything tastes so fresh and melts in your mouth. The drinks are great as well. Service is great. No complaints. Would come back here without hesitation!

Caldwell Nature Center is a hidden gem near Cincinnati, offering 16 miles of picturesque hiking, biking, and running trails through diverse landscapes including forests, fields, streams, and ponds. It's recognized as one of the top ten nature centers in the country and provides self-guided tours, nature programs, bird walks, and abundant wildlife. The center aims to inspire a love for nature through education and stewardship.
Caldwell Nature Center is an amazing preserve. I love how dense everything is, a very rich forest with plenty of lush trees and native plants. The trails are very nice and easy to follow, the preserve is small, but has numerous trails that make the area feel much larger than it is. I love the steps and bridges you can find and there are numerous trails that lead to the river and creeks. A great place to hike for a few hours and lose yourself in the rich greenery!
Noah — Google review
This nature preserve has good views of the creek, forest, and trails. The trails are well maintained but they can be a bit steep for a beginner, but would be perfect for someone who walks regularly. Also, there are several deer trails that branch off of the main path so if you're not careful you can wander off the trail. It's right off the highway, which is both good and bad because you can hear some road noise throughout the park. I went on a cool fall weekend and it was not crowded at all. Overall, I had a great experience!

The leaves are squeezing orange, lemon and lime colors! One of my fave places for Autumn this year. It’s sort of a wet day and the steps are a bit slippery but my 4 year old niece puddles through it. She’s thrill of the “rain shower” leaves pouring over her. It’s magical to watch her in awe of nature’s beauty! I think this place is breathtaking! Definitely coming back next peak Autumn! Lots of fun exploring the trail and the creek. Even though it's late September it's still pretty warm and green. The hike is well marked and maintained. The kids had a blast playing in the water. A great slice of nature in the city!

Super nice place to go walk the trails. We went right as the leaves started changing and it was absolutely beautiful. Only saw a few people on our wall, all very friendly. We felt safe and comfortable here
Kristy U — Google review
When we first got there we went down the Long stair. At the bottom there is a fork in the road, we turned right to go over the bridge. It was terrible! The trail was over grown and all the trails ended in a dead end. So we went back to the fork and went left. It was amazing and beautiful. We hiked around for 3 hrs with a 6 & 4 yr old, 6 month, and two adults. We loved it. Great views. Hidden gem.

This was my first visit to Caldwell Nature Preserve and I really enjoyed the trails. There are a few fallen trees that need to be cut to open some of the trails up to small children and those who may not be able to climb over the tree trunks. I plan to return and explore the trails more.

Swaim Park is a serene and popular gathering place in Montgomery, offering walking paths, sports courts, and ball fields. It features two play sets, swings, a sand area, tennis and basketball courts that cater to various age groups. The duck pond is a favored attraction while the park's well-crafted map at the entrance reflects its identity as a cherished part of the city. Visitors can enjoy shaded areas and clean amenities. The park also offers a nice trail for biking or skating around the perimeter.
★☆☆☆☆ Popularity ★☆☆☆☆ Size/Location ★★★★★ Terrain ★★★★☆ Scenery ★★★★☆ Accessibility ★★★★☆ Amenities ★★★★★ Condition ★★★★★ Safety Date visited: 09/14/2023 A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to explore Swaim Park, a charming gem nestled within the city of Montgomery. Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the park's unmistakable identity as a cherished part of the city, thanks to a well-crafted map at the entrance. Finding a suitable parking spot posed no challenge on that particular day, as the medium-sized parking lot had ample availability. However, I couldn't help but wonder if there might be another parking area tucked away somewhere, as I observed a steady stream of individuals arriving to partake in the park's offerings. My journey through Swaim Park commenced along a paved walkway that meandered through its verdant expanse. The trail offered two distinct branches, one of which led me alongside two picturesque ponds that graced the landscape. As I strolled along, the serene waters mirrored the canopy of trees above, creating a harmonious fusion of natural beauty. My gaze was drawn to a charming gazebo perched by the water's edge, promising a sublime vantage point to soak in the idyllic scenery. Regrettably, it was already occupied, a testament to the park's popularity. During my visit, I noticed that the park was relatively tranquil, with only a scattering of fellow park-goers sharing in the peaceful ambiance. However, a lively group of teenagers, or perhaps college students, were engaged in spirited basketball games on the park's court, injecting youthful energy into the serene surroundings. As the day gradually transitioned into evening, more visitors began to arrive. The atmosphere took on a different character, as the fading light and the park's gentle illumination contributed to a sense of enchantment. Overall, I would recommend Swaim Park to all park enthusiasts seeking a serene and picturesque escape. While there may be larger and more grandiose parks in the vicinity, Swaim Park possesses a unique charm, perfect for those seeking a tranquil stroll, leisurely reflection, or a quiet interlude with nature.

This is the perfect little park with a little bit of everything. Two little ponds with water fountains and a encircling walking path surrounded by diverse trees and benches. It has picnic shelters, a gazebo, playground, a baseball field, soccer nets, basketball, sand volleyball, and tennis courts. 10/10.
Brendan D — Google review
Definitely one of the better playground sets in the area. Parents looking for the playground: use the parking lot off Zig Zag road (Google brought me to the other parking lot, which is still a very short walk to the playground, but it's not visible from that parking lot.) The tire swing was by far my kids' (3yo/6yo) favorite. A small swing set, several slides, and 3 separate playsets. The park also has tennis, basketball, and sand volleyball courts. A short paved trail for walks (or bicycles), and a nice little pond with plenty of benches to sit and enjoy. This place has quickly become a new favorite place to bring the kids!

This is one of my favorite local parks. We love the playground, clean restrooms, lake, tennis courts, and more. There are plenty of places to enjoy some solitude as well, which is much needed as a mother of a little! The fountains in the ponds make a lovely addition to the parks ambiance.

Although it's a small park it is beautiful. The trail is shady and go past the ponds. The playground has different but fun equipment. It has a nice gazebo and plenty of other shady spots to relax in. I really loved visiting this park.

One of my favorite local parks I have enjoyed over the years.. 18 years + counting to be exact. I started taking my daughter here when she was a baby- my baby is now 18! Class of 2025!! My son and I now frequent the park and he is about to be 10 y.o.. Bittersweet memories 💚 Back to the topic --- Swaim Park has a large area that has 3 separate playsets, each designed to fit age groups (of course you could play on any of these, I'm guilty). They have a swing set (a few for smaller ones) a see-saw (a favorite), a sand pit with digging 'machines' for construction (or destruction). The park contains a baseball field, an open field, volleyball court, tennis + b-ball courts too. There is plenty of parking and has shelter areas with lots of picnic tables. Restrooms available, usually well cleaned as far as park restrooms go. It has 2 ponds with walking trails. You can go fishing here as well. The place is beautiful to me. I'll try to remember and add photos at a later time.

It's a great park in the heart of Clifton. Right next to UC, it also serves as their parking lot so look for pay stations or get a long term pass. Has disk golf, small pond for fishing, has a nature center, and a very nice variety of scenery for photos. Great in the winter too!

I lived in Clifton by Ludlow Ave and went to Burnet Woods daily with my dogs, on a run, or just to “escape” the city. The park itself is really beautiful, but it’s a bit tainted by the people who frequent it. There’s normally a group of people who sit by the fountain near the entrance of the park who will not hesitate to make unwarranted comments or stare at you if you are a woman. Those same people (and others) leave their needles, clothes, and trash around the park. I’ve seen it firsthand. I will never forget seeing used needles right next to the trail. It was a reminder that although it can be a beautiful park, it’s still in Clifton. The park is at its best in the morning. There is a heron that is always there, and the morning dew makes it look like a movie scene. I would not advise going there really any other time of day, ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN. Also, UC ROTC does training there, so you’ll randomly see people in gear walking through the woods, which can be a little weird and off-putting. Overall, if you live in the area or are already visiting I’d definitely recommend it. However, I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit.

Burnet Woods is a hidden gem that people often overlook due to its size. It’s a great park with a small lake, nice walking/running trails, picnic shades, fishing spots, BBQ grills, and just a place to relax in that busy neighborhood. Right across the street from University of Cincinnati and Good Samaritan hospital. It’s also close to the public library. This beautiful little park is a spectacular sight in the Fall.

Quiet, nice play area, walk along the lake and creek, plenty of seats on the stone walls. Wildlife and greenery are gorgeous. Boardwalks to the marsh. Can be muddy in areas. Lovely place my grandmother brought me in the 1960's and I now take my grandkids 2020! There is a nature center & planetarium here. TRY THIS BRING CARDBOARD AND RIDE THE CEMENT SLIDE.

Burnet woods park and lake is an amazing place. During spring this place looks beautiful. People often come here for jogging and also for fishing in the lake. It also has small trails. This place is situated right next to University of Cincinnati main campus. There's a BBQ station in the park too. So if anyone's interested in having a BBQ party it's free. And during fall you can also spot deer in the park.

Nestled in the serene Clifton hill neighborhood, Mt. Storm Park is a hidden gem that spans 57 acres of rolling hills and lush greenery. Lovely, peaceful park that looks westward. Many memories from my younger days of biking here for a picnic and also sledding in the winter. Beautiful, sunny, fall day when I visited today. Peaceful with many open spaces to spread a blanket on the grass. Also a children’s playground and the Temple of Love pavilion/gazebo.

Clean, well kept, beautiful view. The neighborhood is stuffy, lacks diversity, and is heavily patrolled by overzealous law enforcement, but the park itself is phenomenal.

This is a delightful place with one of the best views of the West side of Cincinnati going down the Erie Canal corridor. I went for the Red Bull Flugtag. I'd go just for fun on a regular day. There is a good amount of history, architecture, nature and shade. Pickle ball courts are plentiful if you've given up on life. Additionally, NKU hosts programs like the GRAD Cincinnati Summer Institute to immerse high school students in campus life. Visitors appreciate the attractive architecture and welcoming atmosphere of the university.
I was at NKU many years ago, graduating in 1999. My professors in the physics department were amazing! I knew they all cared! I took an Astronomy class with one of the coolest, kindest and smartest professors I had ever encountered. After that course, that I had taken on a whim!!!, That class hooked me; I fell in love with space and physics! I could not get enough! I got busy and graduated with a bachelor's degree in physics! My experience at NKU could not have been more wonderful! Thank you NKU!! 💛

Terrible online nursing program from administration through professors. This is my third time advancing my degree, and I had not experienced this level of poor leadership and communication until this school. I highly recommend a different institution.
Jillian B — Google review
This would be one star had it not been for my professors who, for the most part, were pretty great people who were/are great at their jobs and who had to deal with the same administrative BS as I did. They all need raises for dealing with admin as long as they have. To get right into it, The top administration here is a mess. There is a mandatory campus recreation fee that you can't opt out of even if you have never been to the the rec center. What happened was they wanted to build a rec center but no one was buying memberships to get in. Their solution? Require their students to pay for a membership every semester. By the time I graduate, I will have paid $1000 for a rec center that I've not been to once. I don't know why they decided to invest millions in a new rec center if they didn't know for sure that their students would use it. Another example: one of their last presidents was straight-up abusing school funds and instead of firing him and suing him, they paid him $1,000,000 to leave?!? Like go get your money back and stop charging us fees for breathing on campus!? Additionally, their policies are out-right awful. For example: I'm a student that receives tuition assistance through my work; it takes a while to get to the school and NKU knows this. Do they provide the itemized bill earlier in order to apply for TA sooner? No. Do they make is easier for my work to contact them to let them know my TA is on the way? No. You have until the first day of classes to pay your entire bill or you get kicked from your classes and the reinstatement fee is $100. To avoid this, you can get on the payment plan which is $90; I literally have to pay them money for me to be able to pay them more money. To avoid getting kicked out of classes my first week I have to pay $190. There used to be a two-week grace period but they removed it for whatever reason. Another example is their parking pass policy, it's annoying that they increase the price every year, but with the cost of yearly maintenance it at least makes sense. The thing that particularly bothers me is that they charge their teachers to park. They literally have to be there, and unless they want to walk a half mile every morning they're stuck buying a pass. When I started going to NKU, parking was $286 a year for students and they charged their teachers $400... Things constantly don't work on campus. There are the usual vending machines and school computers not working which isn't that big a deal, but the most frustrating example is the "NKU All Card". You have to pay $45-$60 bucks a semester for a mandatory food budget but whenever you try to use it at the student union or any of the vending machines, the All Card gets declined. This happens even if you have enough money on the card to cover what you're getting. If something goes wrong (as it most likely will), dealing with the staff is hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get the most condescending Karen who looks down on you because you don't know the myriad of the school's useless policies. Other times, you'll talk to a talk a genuinely kind person that understands your frustration and really tries to help. One example being that at my last major, I couldn't get into any classes because I was kind of behind on credits so I was in one of the last groups to be able to register for classes. Now, this part was my fault and I totally accept that, what wasn't helpful is when I reached out to my adviser and department head for help, they sent me nothing but platitudes, no solutions. If I had stuck with that major, I would have graduated two years later than I originally planned. At the end of the day, going to school at NKU is like getting your groceries at the dollar store. It's not the best option, heck, it's not even a good option, but it will satisfy the basic need at hand. If you want to open up more options in your life, try a trade or community college first, don't assume that you need a college degree to be successful in life. It's not worth the fees and the headache to deal with administration of a college like NKU.
Jonah H — Google review
NKU is a fantastic university and I'm proud to day I'm an alum!!!! My latest experience, though, was for the GRAD Cincinnati Summer Institute. We were able to allow 30 high school students from Cincinnati Public Schools to stay on campus in the dorms and immerse themselves on campus. The students were there for 3 days and 2 nights, experienced several academic programs, and ate their meals in the dining hall. The GRAD Cincinnati Summer Institute was a great success, and we are lucky to have such a great partner in NKU. They really are a first class institution!!!!!

It's a really really good University I would recommend it highly love the Professors love the staff policy is good I will say though housing is completely useless kills the schools reputation that and disability for the school even though the boast is being one of the best it's undercut at most you're better to to get this disability with the state so the school would have to recognize it Disability (OFD told me to get a note from an endocrinologist for my cardiology issues not how that works) I already did say housing kills the reputation of the school some of the dorms are great and then some are asylum style, Or prison nursing homestyle, My first year I didn't Get a dorm until a month afterwards, My second year 3 weeks, My third year they didn't want to deal with any dorm issue I wasn't allowed to move into my dorm until class began and they'd just stuck me in a dorm at the end of the day. That again I never really asked for. At the end of the day commuting Is way better than dealing with the debacle known as Nku housing.

Great wheelchair access. Was able to ride staying in my electric wheelchair. There are spots for two chairs or one chair plus companions. Accessible bathroom is in the same room as the carousel. Outside is an accessible wet fountain/play area and overlook. Easy access to the Roebling Suspension walkways that provide a panoramic view of the Ohio River, Cincinnati, and Covington.

Always a wonderful time at the carousel! Staff are friendly and welcoming. The detail on each of the animals/seats always leaves me in awe. This trip, the praying mantis was our favorite.

Blown 2 Perfection created themed Balloon columns for an Elephant Tea Party. The Carousel was spectacular. Bright. Great views. All around a kids dream.
Keisha F — Google review
Was there for a large convention. The ceiling is very low downstairs, and the room was very congested. If there was an emergency, it would have been difficult to get everyone out easily.
Nickie H — Google review
VERY expenssive 7 minute ride. 4 rotations, and you're off. There is nothing really to see when you get up high, which begs the question of its location. It's not really worth the money at the end of the day.
D R — Google review
We didn't get to ride as it was closed but the splash pad right outside was a huge hit with the kids. There was also a public restroom that was moderately clean 🤷🏻‍♂️ There were also benches and a great view of the Riverside park. Great place to hangout overall especially if you have kids
Anil Y — Google review
Beautiful Indoor Carousel just inside the park. Animals unique beyond horses; a pig, gorilla, cheetah, white tiger, giraffe, a fish, birds, even a brightly colored praying mantis. Nice courtyard outside with stairs that lead to the Riverfront Park. At the time we were there, Saturday morning, they had educators there with live owls and were displaying and answering questions about them. Negs: No professional cameras are allowed unless you purchase a permit.
Martin C — Google review
We've been here several times and it's always a pleasure. Our visit today was just as nice. The ride is inexpensive and the man who runs the carousel is friendly and cheerful. The carousel is beautiful and completely clean and there are restrooms available and an elevator to take you down to the river level. There are signs posted that say they do not want people to take photos with a camera but that cell phone photos are welcomed and encouraged.

The Fleischmann Gardens are a public park located in Cincinnati, Ohio that is home to many botanical attractions such as the state's largest gingko tree. The gardens were donated to the city by Charles Fleischman (of Fleischman Yeast Company) and has been significantly expanded with the purchase of adjacent lands owned by the Salvation Army. Today, it is a popular spot for families to have some fun outside.
Good-sized park for being in an urban area with paved walking paths, grassy areas, trees, a playground, & benches. Very kid-friendly & dog-friendly. Enclosed by a fence all the way around the park with openings for public entrance.
Trevor G — Google review
A beautiful hidden gem in the center of the community of Avondale. Nice scenery to break away from the hot summer days. I just wish they had more trash cans and benches like the other park favorites in the city.
Cheriese L — Google review
It's a decent park.. would be a good place to come if it wasn't for all the trash littered everywhere... but since every trash can is way overflowing I guess the ground is the where it goes
Elizabeth G — Google review
I love this park! It’s well maintained, and the trees are so beautiful. The one drawback is that all of the benches (of which there are many) are clustered in 1/3 of the park, rather than spread evenly throughout. I imagine it would be especially nice to have a couple of benches near the playground equipment so that parents and caregivers can watch their kids more comfortably. Also there is only one table, would love to have a few more tables.
Nat K — Google review
I am actually very much surprised that this Cincinnati Public Park is as beautiful and very well kept as it is. Very calm and relaxing and clean grounds with beautiful flower beds!
Suzanne H — Google review
The park is nice. It's pretty well maintained (not perfect, but good), there's not a lot of trash, and there's plenty places to sit. I rode my bike there and brought a mat so I could lay on the grass and read my book, so it was overall pretty relaxing 😌
Nix B — Google review
Nice playground. Plenty of nature to enjoy. Does not have bathrooms!

Trailside Nature Center is a Cincinnati nature preserve that has a great variety of trails to explore. It's highly underrated and perfect for families looking to get outside and have some fun!
Wonderful habitat field trip with second grade! Very informative and tons of fun!
Claire W — Google review
Nature trails were beautiful and very quiet, serene and lovely weather. Theres so many leaves around and theyre the perfect mixture of soft and crunchy! HOWEVER, im appalled by the staff member that was working this afternoon. It was my first time walking around this place. As i was looking around, I saw a bench i decided to rest on before i continued exploring the woods. There was a man fishing by the pond nearby so i figured this was a spot to relax a little. Not even a couple minutes into settling down and closing my eyes on the bench, had this woman come out the building and seemed to be on the phone. She was looking at me so i looked at her back, and it turned out she was describing my clothes over the phone, like some kind of creep! I was really confused, until i realised she was attempting to call the cops on me like im a tresspassing homeless person. I read the sign by the benches describing the rules here, and it said open from dawn till dusk. Mind you, it was 12pm. I decided to relax more anyways because she didn't bother the gentleman on the pond nor the people stopping by on the road. I work with homeless people for a living and i find it incredibly disgusting to have an employee at a nature preserve behave this way. As she left she was loudly complaining about my presence and pointing me out to another individual. What is the point of nature if you cant even literally sit down and mind your own business? Anyways, be wary of the employees here. They wont even talk to you and jump to escalating a non situation.

I love this park man. It's so pretty and has so many beautiful trees. It's small but densly packed with lush flora and a lot of adorable fauna. Zards, manders, and cute assortments of critters everywhere.

Great location for a nature center. They have nice exhibits here and a cool old planetarium. Lots of kids summer camps to go to and is very accessible to the neighborhood.

Great kayaking! The large lake they have allows you to kayak for hours. You see plenty of wildlife while kayaking especially if you go up the long creeks.

This is the most beautiful park in the tri-state area. The lake is enormous with a lot of coves, it’s wonderful for kayaking and fishing. Several picnic areas & you can rent horses. They have a special kayak launcher for people that need assistance. It gently glides the kayak onto the water with a conveyor belt. The campground is gorgeous It overlooks the Lake. The sites are spaced out nicely. Not crammed together. The park is very clean, the grass & trees are Very well maintained. This is my favorite park and lake in Ohio.

We had a great time at the Winton Woods, Kids Outdoors Adventure Expo. Our family really enjoyed our first time on a timed orienteering course with the electronic control markers, the climbing wall, and the educational experiences at the various outreach booths from the participating organizations that were set up for the Friday-Saturday event (including the rafting, temporary mini-golf course, kids archery, etc). We are thankful for the geocaching and hiking trails as well, this was a great time and thanks to everybody who helped make it possible. God bless you and your teams at GreatParks.
Fitz F — Google review
Beautiful scenery with a whole lot to do for the entire family... From the children's parks to the campgrounds everything is well maintained and taken care of. Annual park pass is $10 for Hamilton county residents and I believe the day pass is $5.
Marc L — Google review
We had a great, though short time at Winton Woods. We needed a place to pull in for a night and give our generator a break. I called requesting a late check-in and a spot near the park, and they accommodated both! The whole camp was clean, quiet, and very pretty. I would definitely come back and spend more time at Winton Woods.

The lake is filthy looking, but maybe they are trying to change that? Been like this for decades. I'd love to see blue water, not brown. But, being a shallow lake in Ohio, I get it. Just looks drab. Can't catch fish at all. Tried many times over the years. Nice walking path around lake, but the lake itself is not even worth a photo. The landscape and trees around the area is nice, especially in the fall. Check out Miami Whitewater instead. That's a beautiful lake and area! I really hope this lake gets transformed some day, but for the last three decades it's been the same. Maybe not much they can do apparently. Didn't see any birds, ducks, or geese in the water. Very strange.

This is one of my all time favorite parks. Love the walking paths. There are also wooded paths leading into the forest in various areas. The amount of wildlife here is insane. I always see the coolest birds. Today I saw an owl and it was absolutely stunning (see picture). I also did my engagement pictures here a few years ago and they turned out amazing. If you're thinking about visiting this park, do it! It does not disappoint. Love checking out the paw paw trees!

This park is for children. It’s not big. There are many interesting things for children. We’re adults, we came to walk the grounds. We paid $5 for a car. We walked around the area and decided to go into the park through a shop. They said that the entrance is paid. And even did not warn that it is for children. We paid $12 for two. Went into the park and understood that adults have nothing to do. In 5 minutes we walked around and left. It was not very pleasant.

My family was gifted a season pass for Christmas and we have loved it! We visit the discovery garden weekly for their super sprouts club. The picnic area and bathrooms are always clean. Staff is friendly and cheerful. The place is well maintained and absolutely beautiful. It truly is a wonderful place to be for both children and adults. I highly recommend a visit to everyone and the season pass for families who plan to visit often.
Macaira K — Google review
Very well maintained and beautiful to hike through! A decent amount of shade cover for those hot summer days, but not 100%. I also like that this area is for pedestrians only, so no bicycles or rollerblades or anything. It's good to have a few trails that different traffic types don't have to look out for each other on narrow paths.
Daniel B — Google review
It's a great place. We were here today. There were lots of things to do: walk around and go to the playground. They have a model train and a room where you can put together puzzles, draw, and observe some animals. We saw snakes, rabbits, toads, and a spider. Everything was really beautiful. We had an incredible time, every time we went, and the prices were affordable. Recommended.
Paula M — Google review
Smaller park, there is I believe 3 trails/paths that you can access without paying to get into the special garden (geared towards children). I think you normally have to have the Great Parks pass or pay to get in, but there was not an attendant at the booth on a friday afternoon, so it's probably hit or miss. Pretty scenery and flowers. Not a lot of shade on the trails themselves. The main trail is paved and the wetland loop up gravel. As with any walk, check yourself and your dog after for ticks. They're very bad this year. My dog enjoyed the walk. There were seveal parties doing graduation photos here so I guess it's popular for getting photos taken. We got to see a snake, a couple rabbits, and 2 turkey vultures. There are trash and recycling receptacles on the trails.
