The Ithaca Farmers Market is a lively open-air market held on weekends in a spacious pavilion by the scenic Cayuga Lake. It offers an array of farm-fresh produce, flowers, local wines, and handmade crafts. Visitors can also indulge in diverse international cuisines while enjoying live music and entertainment. The market's vibrant atmosphere reflects the region's agricultural abundance and artistic creativity. Additionally, it has expanded to include Wednesday markets at its East Hill location and a Sunday Market at Steamboat Landing.
Loved this place. So many great vendors with variety of choices. We Enjoyed mushroom, kombucha and cherries. Since we were traveling, we didn't by a lot but if I were local, I would have Enjoyed more. Still a great place during our road trip.

Just went there for the first time and I really loved this place!! There are various types of stalls, for example: fresh fruits & vegetables directed from farms, foods for all over the over world, artisan breads, sweets, dairy meats & products, arts & jewelry, flowers etc. I want to come back again soon! Absolutely recommend for those who live here or nearby!☺️👏🏻

By far a superb Farmers Market. So popular they have to have parking lot attendants to manage and the overflow parking. Get there early for the best parking. Many many vendors offering a huge selection, including many organically grown vegetables as well as food vendors serving a wide selection of dishes from American to Chinese, Thai and Cambodian and others. Atmosphere was fantastic with young and old enjoying the market and lakeside events. Picnic tables available to enjoy food bought from the vendors. All produce had to be grown within 30 miles in order to be offered for sale.

Such a great experience. Live music, close access to the scenic boat tours, and plenty of variety throughout the available shops. It gets a little crowded, but in a good way. Definitely get the macaroons!

I love farmers markets, Ithaca, Santa Fe, Woodstock, Cary and Crystal Lake. The Ithaca market has a really beautiful venue by the river. The vendors include traditional fruits and vegetables during season, cheeses, various craft meats, several wine, cider, beer offerings including tastings, several food options like burritos, Thai, middle eastern, tibitetian, lemonades, various parties, breads. This is definitely worth the trip, but prepare yourself for patience and understanding because everyone really likes to go there.
Charles L — Google review
The BEST farmers market around and honestly one of the very best I’ve ever been too. There’s countless food, arts, and farm stands that come in a variety of forms! You can buy anything from sheepskin to clothes to pottery while you sip fresh brewed espresso, eat a fresh cooked hot meal, or snack on your favorite dessert. Don’t forget to stop by any or many of the farm vendors!! There’s local organic veggies galore, local cheese vendors, and local meat vendors. Parking can be difficult so try to come early if you can. You can sit at one of the tables or benches next to the inlet or on the docks while you eat and listen to some live music. Enjoy everything this market has to offer!! A lot of vendors use cash only so come with cash to spend!! Support the local artisans and farmers with cash if you can!
Sierra — Google review
This is a fantastic farmers market. Its a permanent structure, with toilets and an ATM. There are fresh produce vendors, small producers, drinks to go, food to go, artisan crafts, maple syrup, bakeries, honey, artists.....

Great spot to find local veg, spirits and experience a variety of world cuisine which isn't anywhere else in the area. Can be a bit crowded and some booths were a bit pricey, but I was happy with everything purchased there.

Takeout Restaurant
Luna Inspired Street Food is a laid-back eatery offering American and global street food, along with an array of beers and ciders. While the menu predominantly features pork belly, bacon, tenderloin cheesesteaks, and chicken wings, vegetarians and vegans will be pleased to find a diverse selection including tofu wings. The restaurant caters to various dietary preferences such as vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free diets.
Luna is a must visit in Ithaca! The menu is packed with creative, flavorful street food from around the world, and every dish is fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is casual and fun, perfect for a quick bite or a laid-back meal with friends. Whether you’re craving tacos, poutine, or a great burger, Luna never disappoints!
Mitch — Google review
It was my first time trying Luna's. The food wasnt bad it had a good taste, but honestly it's not worth the price. l ordered a Birria Grilled Cheese and barely had meat, the Birria Queso Tacos (GF) was good but got consommé in a little "hot sauce container" usually you would get a good amount of consommé to dip the tacos in, and for the Tijuana Street Fries (GF) the fries were salty and I never got guacamole on the fries which the menu stated It would.
Dorothy P — Google review
Great place for casual dining! The manager came by to chat after we ate. They serve signature dishes of famous chefs from around the world. The menu changes often (seasonally?), so what you see recommended here may not be available, but you won’t get bored. We were a table of 4. Mac&cheese and flatbread were 5-star, brisket burger was 4-star, and tacos were 3 (degraded by cabbage that was browned). Overall a great experience - don’t let the cabbage deter you.
Ken V — Google review
The tacos were really good and served fresh. Service was quick for a one man show. Would not recommend the sweet potato taco as it didn't really have flavour but the tomato and mahi mahi tacos were top notch. The kids grilled cheese was incredible! More so the kids started eating that!
Ali H — Google review
My husband and I came for the Wednesday 2-for-1 burger deal. I am 8 months pregnant and we were sat at a high top table with barstools when there were booths open, and it was very uncomfortable. We ordered two Americana burgers, a beer and a Shirley temple as the promotional email (pictured) says the burgers need to be ordered with a drink. The burgers are normally 17.99 which seems completely outrageous, especially considering the quality of food. The quality is akin to Burger King, I definitely would never order a burger here again. When it was served, it only came with a few dill slices on the side. I asked if I could get a dill spear since that what was pictured on the email and told no. The fries were unseasoned other than salt and pretty much inedible without ketchup. At the end of our meal we got our check which showed the full price for the burgers, I informed our server we were there for the 2-for-1 and the bill was corrected expect the second time there were to-go orders added that we hasn't ordered, so the bill was corrected again. I don't fault them for this because they were clearly training new people but I think if you're running a promotion your clientele shouldn't have to request it be applied to the bill, it should just automatically be applied. Also, we were not told at any time alcohol doesn't count for the promotion, so we ended up having to pay for a soft drink we didn't want and didn't order. Considering the beer was almost twice as much as the soft drink, I think it should have counted. After we got our bill fixed for the second time we were able to pay and leave. I definitely won't be coming back, I don't understand how this restaurant has so many patrons with such low quality of food.
Natalie K — Google review
Food was meh. Pics online looked good, so figured we would try it. Didn’t really work out for us. Very expensive for such small portions. And then the quality just wasn’t really there. If we had to recommend something, the duck fat fries were pretty good. Bet they would have been excellent if they were warm/fresh. We did takeout so maybe your luck would be better for dining in.
William C — Google review
Second time visiting tonight. Great food, somehow I think it was better than the first time. We had many dishes, they were so good. Each had a vibrant yet unique flavor. Very happy with the food and the service. I'm not sure how much a beer in Ithaca tends to go for but I thought the can of beer was a little steep 🤷‍♂️ not really a big deal since the serving size of the food is so big

Diner

The State Diner, a beloved establishment that first opened its doors in 1936, has been serving up classic American, Italian, and Greek dishes for over 70 years. Originally housed in a railcar before expanding into a brick-and-mortar building, this iconic eatery is known for its homemade baked goods and quintessentially Americana-inspired interior. Whether you're craving traditional diner breakfasts or hearty lunches and dinners, the State Diner has something to satisfy every palate.
If you love classic American diners with a retro touch, then State Diner in Ithaca, NY, is a must-visit. This cozy little spot on State Street has all the nostalgic vibes of an old-school diner, complete with booth seating, bright red accents, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to enjoy comfort food, whether you’re a local or just passing through. For lunch, I ordered the Greek Burger with Fries and a handmade milkshake—a combo that perfectly hits the spot. The Greek burger is served on pita bread instead of a traditional bun, adding a nice twist. However, the patty itself was a bit dry and could have used a bit more seasoning. The fries, on the other hand, were crispy and golden, exactly how you’d want them in a classic diner setting. Now, let’s talk about the real highlight—the milkshake. This thick, creamy shake, topped with whipped cream, was the definition of indulgence. The retro-style ad on the table proudly states, “They’re Delicious,” and I have to agree! Whether you go for vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry, it’s the kind of treat that brings back childhood memories. Overall, State Diner is a charming little gem in Ithaca that serves up a nostalgic dining experience. While the burger could use a little more flavor, the atmosphere and that killer milkshake make it a spot worth checking out. Perfect for a laid-back meal with a touch of old-school Americana!

Walked here from our hotel for breakfast during a short overnight stay on our way to Niagara Falls. Classic don't judge a book by its cover place. Our server was awesome. Food was very good. Pretty typical diner food, but on the good side of that range. Very interesting seats!

traditional American style family restaurant, not a modern fancy environment but “traditional, old time” like the place in 70’s movies. 9am already lots of people there. Quickly seated with big welcome smile. Food delivery fast, tasty fresh and yummy. refill coffee every minute. Good place for breakfast .
Rico H — Google review
A true classic diner gem! Stopped in and was blown away by the quality of the food and the cozy, nostalgic atmosphere. The place has that perfect old-school diner vibe — warm, welcoming, and authentic. I had the omelette, which was cooked to perfection, and the pancakes were absolutely amazing — fluffy, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Definitely coming back. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving a great breakfast or brunch spot!
Niloy Z — Google review
Very generous portion sizes. The chicken wrap was very good, and the breakfast food is what you’d expect from your local diner. Overall, very solid.
Ya Y — Google review
It’s always great to eat in an independent restaurant, not a chain place, and even better if it’s a diner. Extra points for being a really old diner. The vegetable omelette was tasty, and waitress was friendly and accommodating. Just one minor complaint: mushrooms should always be fresh, and never canned.
Emily P — Google review
A Classic Diner Experience with a Twist On our drive home from the Finger Lakes Region, my wife and I stopped at the State Diner in Ithaca for a late breakfast/early lunch on a Sunday — and we’re glad we did. The interior is exactly what you’d expect from a classic American diner: lots of cozy booths, shiny metal accents, and mirrors that give it a nostalgic feel. Everything looked clean and well cared for. We were seated in a corner booth with fold-down seats — something neither of us had seen before. It was a fun, quirky touch that added to the experience, though it may not be the best option for those with mobility issues or anyone who might find it tricky to get in and out of tighter spaces. As for the food, it was exactly what we hoped for: simple, satisfying diner fare. My wife had a cheese omelet, and I went with the Western. Both were well-prepared and hit the spot. The coffee was solid too — always a must at a diner. Bonus points for clean and well-maintained restrooms, which is always appreciated when you’re on the road. All in all, if you’re in Ithaca and craving a classic diner meal, the State Diner is definitely worth a stop. We’d happily return.

Gorgers is a popular counter-serve eatery in downtown Ithaca and Cortland, known for its diverse selection of large, internationally inspired sub sandwiches. Founded by brothers Barton and Matthew Diamond, the restaurant prides itself on using high-quality, fresh ingredients to create affordable yet delectable dining options. The menu features handcrafted subs with all-natural ingredients, including chicken, pork, steak, or shrimp fillings.
Hands down one of the best spots for lunch that I’ve ever been too for sandwiches. The value is hard to beat. Always ordered the “South of the Border” with a side of fries. This is easily a spot I recommend going to in Ithaca that justifies the price.
Chris J — Google review
After traveling a few hours I decided to grab a sandwich here for lunch. I got a steak and buffalo sandwich with fries. Got my order quickly and all the waitresses were nice! The meal was well cooked and delicious! I got a small and the portions were big. It was definitely more heavy and comfort type of food. It was a good place to grab a bite to eat after traveling. Try it out!
Sarah M — Google review
OMG! Best sandwich I’ve had in a very long time. The bread was fresh baked and the ingredients were fresh and bursting with flavor. I ordered the banh mi and it was one of the best ever! On par with with sandwiches I scored in Vietnam. The outdoor seating was great and the person who served us was great.
Nolan P — Google review
I got subs for dinner here recently and they were amazing. The large subs are 12 inches long and they are huge. I couldn't finish the whole thing. I also got fried pickles. It was some of the best I've ever had. Definitely try it out if you are looking for some affordable food.
Erik Z — Google review
We stopped here on the way to Niagara Falls and it was such a nice & friendly spot. Lisa recommended the Key Lime Pie parfait she made that morning that had some cookie crumble. It was delicious! Highly recommend stopping by here!
Alexis H — Google review
Delicious!! Everything was done the right way! Homemade bread, house made fries, creative menu!!
Brian D — Google review
Please open a location on the west coast! I moved away 3 years ago and still think about y'all all the time. 8 years of delicious subs was not enough. One time when I came in to pick up my order, there was a family with a huge cooler, and they just LOADED it up with subs. They told me that they had moved away but we're visiting and were bring back subs for the whole family. I didn't get it then, but I understand now. These are the best subs in the world. If life ever brings me back to Ithaca, I'm bringing an extra suitcase to fill with bread and subs. I would overnight ship a shrimp po boy with extra shrimp right now if I could!

Souvlaki House, located in Collegetown, Ithaca, is a popular spot offering generous servings of Italian and Greek favorites like pizza, pasta, gyros, and Reubens. Known for its homemade and well-prepared dishes at student-friendly prices, the restaurant has been a staple in the area for over five decades. The menu caters to both vegetarians and omnivores with an array of options.
I recently dined at this restaurant, and it was an outstanding culinary experience! The food was excellent, and every dish was more delicious than the last. We ordered a variety of dishes, including pesto pasta, tomato-based pasta, and a creamy cheese pasta – all of which were simply amazing. The portions were generous, and it was clear that each ingredient was carefully selected. The steak (from the first photo) was juicy and perfectly cooked. The pasta dishes were rich in flavor and had an excellent texture. The pesto pasta (from the third photo) stood out, with fresh and bold flavors. The service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. I highly recommend this place for a great meal!
Oran B — Google review
Bang average, sometimes subpar Italian food. Pasta is not fresh hand made pasta. Quality of the oil is not great. Again for college town standards, it’s good but if it were in a city, I would pass. Workers are nice tho!
Chris J — Google review
My Cornell alum boyfriend came here to see if this place had stood the test of time. Happy to say that it was great! Got the steak pizzaiola and a gyro. We were very pleased. Thanks for the lovely time!
LL C — Google review
Review of Souvlaki House I visited Souvlaki House with high hopes of enjoying authentic Greek cuisine, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. I was especially looking forward to the Greek salad, but what was served barely resembled one. Instead of the fresh, vibrant mix you'd expect, we got a bowl of iceberg lettuce, a couple of tomatoes, three olives, and a sprinkle of cheese. It lacked the flavors and ingredients that make a true Greek salad so special. For my main course, I ordered chicken with artichokes, which sounded delicious on the menu, but the dish didn't live up to its description. While it wasn't terrible, it was just average and lacked the bold, Mediterranean flavors I was hoping for. Overall, I left Souvlaki House feeling underwhelmed. The food didn’t capture the essence of Greek cuisine, and the meal didn’t leave me with the authentic taste I was craving.

Delightful wait staff. Food had all the classic depth of flavors one expects from pasta dishes. There are plenty of choices for vegetarians on the menu, along with traditional omnivore options. Hubby had a steak dinner. He was very happy with the cook on the steak as well as the mushrooms that accompanied it. I opted for the eggplant and manicotti combo. It was so nice to have eggplant cooked properly. Our meals came with salad & bread. For dessert we had Baklava to go. (Which we ate for our breakfast the next day.) Lovely golden crisp on the Philo dough, with a nice layer of chopped nuts inside.
Melinda G — Google review
The food was not great. My girlfriend and I ordered delivery. I got the beef souvlaki platter and my girlfriend got the lamb souvlaki platter. Both were extremely dry and the quality of the meat on both the lamb and beef were subpar. The food did not look great aesthetically either. For the amount of money that we spent the food we received was not up to par. We also got calamari and it seemed like it was just frozen calamari that they tossed into a fryer. I’m sure the staff and owners are great people and it seems to have so many glowing reviews, but I did not receive that same quality.

Sal's Pizzeria is a great place to go for pizza. The staff is friendly and the food is top notch. The crust is cooked perfectly, with a great tasting sauce. Overall, this restaurant is a must-go for anyone looking for some delicious pizza!
AMAZING GLUTEN FREE PIZZA, it's a rice flour crust ...crispy! The pizza burger was very large, meaty, cheesy and delicious per my dining partner!
Kim H — Google review
Cute little old school place in a strip mall. I bet their regular pizza is great, I have to eat gluten free so that's what I got. I called the order in on the phone then decided to eat there, the person at the register was very polite both on the phone and in person. Gluten free crust is always a bit uninteresting, but the sauce was very nice. They served it in a metal pan which indicated to me they took precautions to keep it off the floor of the oven where the gluten would be. Would order from here again.

This is a no frills pizza place - ambiance is a bit lacking if you're looking for that. BUT, if you want incredibly tasty pizza and a friendly staff: run, don't walk to grab a pie here. Absolutely delicious!

Hai Hong Restaurant serves up traditional Chinese cuisine in a simply appointed, down-to-earth setting. Dishes include everything from chicken and lamb skewers to dim sum. The restaurant is perfect for those looking for a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in which to dine.
It is with a heavy heart that I write this review to mourn the loss of the best dumplings in Ithaca. Years ago, Peking had perfect dumplings- they were the standard against which I measure all other dumplings, and few have come close. There must have been some relation between Peking and Hai Hong, because the dumplings Hai Hong served until recently were quite similar to the perfect Peking dumplings. But the dumplings at Hai Hong have changed, and while some people may still find them appetizing, they are no longer themselves. They have lost their spark. They are just another derivative dumpling in a sea of bland Ithacan offerings. The same boring dumpling can now be had from a dozen Asian restaurants in the area. And the world is sadder for it.
Andrea S — Google review
The food was excellent, but pricey. Steamed Sea-Bass and eggplant were great, but the bill was a surprise. To be fair, we didn’t look for the price of the Sea-Bass, we just ordered, which is on us. The restaurant was nice and clean, the furnishings are ordinary. We would visit again.

Best Chinese restaurant in Ithaca, hands down. Food is made with love, dim sum is available daily and they also offer a full Vietnamese menu from their sister restaurant next door. There's something for everyone here!

Delicious food in an inviting venue. First Chinese restaurant I've had in collegetown, and already a favorite. The soft-shell crab is nice and tender, and the Peking duck is absolutely divine! Rich and fatty like it should be, with the crispiest skin. The servers are so polite, and the food is always on point. Not to mention the traditional dim sum courses. Xia Long Bao here are tasty but could have a thinner wrapper.

This was my first time tasting Chinese dishes. The food was delicious. The staff made me feel really comfortable. I loved it!!!! 😍😍

Never ever would I go to this place again. Went there about 6 months ago and owner got into an argument with the table next to us and was obviously the owners fault. He gave them the wrong order and when pointed out by the customer, became argumentative instead of fixing it. Next, our orders took approximately 90 minutes and was not very crowded that evening. Dumplings were just meh (comparing to downstate). Then told that our scallion pancakes would not be coming because they were out of ingredients, which we were fine with. Then 30 minutes later brought them out? Tasted pretty much like playdoh with zero scallions. Seems like they didn’t want to lose the money even though they were out of one of the key ingredients. Then forgot to bring out one of the dumplings order, but was charged for it. Owner was really inappropriate throughout the night.

The waitress was in a very poor mood complaining and cursing throughout. Probably just having a bad day. But on top of this I had to play the classic game of where's the meat. I ordered general tso chicken and it was 70% fat and most all of the actual chicken was dark meat. While this may be typical for fast food I was disappointed given the total of over $40 for two entrees and an appetizer (no drinks and no deserts). I should also add that the steamed dumplings we ordered as an appetizer came after I had already finished my entree... very disappointed with the quality at this price point. The restaurant itself was nice, very clean. If you do go read the story on the front of the menu, it's worth the read.
Chris M — Google review
We have been coming to this place for 20+ years, since it was downtown in the current site of a bank. The usual Chinese offerings have always been the best or about the best in town. Weekend dim sum is our routine when the now grown up family reassembles. The usual menu selections are Korean pancakes, various dumplings, sticky rice, chow fun, rice crepes, eggplant, and miscellaneous items from the Chinese menu. All great and quality maintained over many years. Highly recommended.

Chicken wings restaurant
Catering food and drink supplier
Chicken restaurant
Wings Over Ithaca is a popular fast-food chain known for its delicious variety of chicken wings and sides available for takeout and delivery. The Ithaca location on Dryden Road offers a wide range of sauces, from traditional BBQ to bold teriyaki and eye-watering Buffalo. Additionally, the restaurant provides late-night delivery services until around 1:30-2:30 am through Ithaca To Go.
As someone who considers themselves a true hot wing lover, Wings Over did not disappoint. It’s a great pick-up-and-go lunch spot. The wings were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor, and the ranch was absolutely delicious. Even the fries were seasoned just right—crispy, flavorful, and seriously addictive. Highly recommend if you're craving wings that hit the spot!
Anafernanda C — Google review
The wings here are good and there are a lot of flavour options. The staff are friendly and helpful. Very decent for its price.
Ali J — Google review
We ordered wings (30, with hot honey, mango habanero, and garlic parmesan) and fries for the family. The food was great! Very delicious, and they generously accommodated our request for one sauce on the side and lots of celery. It cost a little more than I would have expected (my family disagrees), but it was delicious and we'll likely be back again.
Darren P — Google review
Absolutely wicked chicken, yo. Went on a frolicking adventure when I got wings ordered from this spot. The delivery person from the restaurant rightfully had no idea where the entrance for this apartment building I was staying at was since there were like 5-6 entrances. I don't blame them!! I barely knew where it was! I went on an adventure hunting down my wings, going across the apartment building, built on a steep hill, and I ended up watching the sunset next to an old fence on a wooded hill with a guy ripping a bong. Then I ended up slipping in oil (!!!!) and getting a bit lost. It sounds stressful but I had so much fun. I called and talked to the delivery person a few times and they would give me little clues since they didn't know the apartment building that well, either, and it was such an unorthodox fun time. This is more of a review of that apartment building's very poor structure, but the delivery person who brought the food was so nice and fun and made what would otherwise be a stressful situation into a silly story to tell, many of the details omitted for the sake of your sanity and mine. When I finally found the delivered food, at one of the five or six entrances, I sat down then and there and had some of the best chicken I ever had. Absolutely recommend. You may not have an adventure, but the chicken will make you feel like you did regardless cuz it's just that good.

I don't know who was cooking tonight but they were on fire!!!! Out of all the times I've ordered the Parm fries this is the best! The bourbon bbq took me back to Texas, the lemon piper classic wings was cooked to perfection and those Cajun fries sent me back to New Orleans! Good job!!!
Kate R — Google review
Chicken can be a bit dry sometimes but is still good. Sauces and rubs are fantastic and Ive never had bad or soggy fries - the lemon pepper are my favorite!
Ariana M — Google review
I had a craving for wings and decided to give Wings Over Ithaca a try—and I’m glad I did! I ordered the lemon pepper and honey BBQ flavors, and they did not disappoint. The wings were cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and hit the spot. Friendly service and quick turnaround made the experience even better. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to when I’m in the mood for wings!

Great experience and even better food! The store was clean, including the bathroom. Service was quick and the workers were happy to help explain the menu. Definitely recommend the lemon pepper fries!

Nestled overlooking the picturesque Cayuga Lake, Farmers Market Trailhead offers a diverse array of international cuisines, including Persian, Thai, Sri Lankan, Cuban, Ethiopian, and Cambodian. Indulge in delectable breakfast sandwiches with waffle buns and savor them with a cup of coffee. After exploring the global culinary delights, enjoy a leisurely picnic by the lake while admiring passing boats.
One of the best farmers market I have been to. What a gem.

Very expensive fresh food products. $3 for 1 Zucchini.. $2 for 5 stalks of cilantro... Lemonade stand and alcoholic beverages are more reasonably priced. Rather drink than eat vegetables! The food stands have delicious fast food available. Good varieties available that you can't find elsewhere.

A must-visit every time I'm back in town. We are huge fans of the diverse produce, baked goods, meats and hot foods. Our favorite reason for visiting the market is Apple Cider and Doughnuts, Yum!

Great place to spend an afternoon in Ithaca. Good food stalls and local selection of various produce.
Shezan M — Google review
this farmers market was incredible. all the vendors were friendly and had a vast array of food available. there was plenty of seating everywhere and the view of the lake was so nice. getting to the market was a little hectic as parking is not the greatest but we parked a few streets away to avoid it. this is something everyone should experience and go to at point. lovely experience overall
Alondra E — Google review
As far as farmers markets go it's an interesting walk. Everything is much too expensive and the meat is always sold frozen. Parking is a nightmare so get there early or late.

Aladdins Natural Eatery is a relaxed cafe that has been a favorite for Greek, Middle Eastern, and Italian cuisine for over three decades. The restaurant is known for its soups, salads, and falafel. It offers patio seating and is popular for its healthy options like flavored hummus and creamy vegetable soup at reasonable prices. While some find the portion sizes to be good, others feel that the value could be better considering the prices.
Nice people, delicious food, quite affordable. I had lenchills soup and hummus pit. Super serving size. Like it!
Manu K — Google review
One of my favorite underrated places in Ithaca. They have a lot of healthy options, and they're food is really good. I love the flavored hummus. They change the flavor everyday. And the creamy vegetable soup is always a great option. They're prices are very reasonable. They have really good portion sizes as well
Neha L — Google review
Aladdin used to be one of my favorite restaurants in College town. We have not been there in about a year due to travel however, Tuesday night I with my wife and daughter stopped by for dinner. 1. The Hummus was tasteless, I have had better out of a jar. 2. The nan was not fresh or worm, but cold and at least day old. 3. The Bistteca meat was not tender and was over cooked. 4. The pasta was drenched in garlic oil. 5. The Moussaka was burnt and the worst Moussaka I have ever had. I used to recommend Aladdins and it was one of my favorite take outs in Ithaca. I do not know what happen to that one time fine restaurant where you could expect a fresh and natural meal but on Tuesday night Dec 16 the cook was not up to par. The good news is we got doggy bags and our dog was really happy, he liked the Moussaka. I have no plans of ever returning unless I hear that there has been changes made, and I certainly cannot recommend Aladdin.
Mike M — Google review
The food is tasty, with flavors that are fresher and more sophisticated than what you'd expect from collegetown restaurants. Service is fine. However, even considering quality, the value is poor. You get small portions for steep prices, even pushing $20 a dish if you're not careful about customizations!
Zachary K — Google review
Nice waiters, but unfortunately very BAD cooks and expensive for what you get, especially because of hidden fees. Make sure you read the menu very well. I was charged additional extra $ for choosing linguine instead of fettucine! Go figure. Use of a lot of sauce in the pasta dishes, to the point that only the top of the pasta emerges from the sauce. All the food we order was gross. Totally disgusting! I should have taken pictures to show how bad it was. My pasta plate had one inch of water at the bottom! Too bad, because it used to be a good place! Extremely disappointed by this experience. I will never go again.
Alex C — Google review
First time trying this place and won’t be back. Falafel salad: lettuce browning, tomatoes flavorless, falafel dry and, frankly, weird. Greek dressing was fine. Shish kebab pita: boring and bland and served on a cold wheat pita. Hummus appetizer: more of that cold wheat pita, super bland and chunky hummus. note, we didn’t order wheat pita, so I’m assuming that’s the default. Lastly, there was about half of a raw red onion total, cut in HUGE chunks, between the three dishes - I realize some people like onion, but come on. Anyone who gives this place 4+ stars has never had good Mediterranean good.
Elizabeth B — Google review
I too was a long time fan and regular customer of Aladdins in Ithaca for many years, that is until a couple of years ago. Something happened, new staff, service terrible, food that used to be high quality and delicious became cheap, poorly prepared and terrible. We stopped going. We decided to try it again in Oct 2014 with some friends. Not much had changed. It was a waste of money. The moussaka tasted like something that was purchased by them in a box, sat around too long in the fridge, got stale and was popped in the microwave before being dumped on a plate. It wasn't even warm, and the portion was really small. a few pieces of dry pita bread came with it. We complained, they simply reheated it. Falafals were burned hard masses. Salads were a small amount of greens that has started to turn brown, with hardly anything else. a tiny amount of protein in each dish. insufficient. Pasta was cold and had almost none of the toppings it should have had. We asked for more and they charged us for them! Won't go back, would not recommend.

I absolutely adore Aladdin’s. Located in the heart of Collegetown, Aladdin’s is one of the few places around to get a fresh and healthy meal at a reasonable price. I almost always order a salad from here, and it’s always very crisp and refreshing. The waitstaff is very friendly and helpful.

Pizza delivery
Mama Teresa's Pizzeria is a beloved spot that many locals turn to for a satisfying slice, especially during those late-night cravings or study sessions. Lorraine Medeiros fondly recalls how nothing completes an evening out with friends quite like enjoying pizza and soda together at this cozy eatery. While searching for authentic Italian pizza in the area, one visitor sampled various desserts including cannoli, eclairs, and fried dough—all of which were delightful.
Been looking for good Italian Pizza since moving to the area, I ordered a smattering of desserts all were good, cannoli, éclair, fried dough, the antipasti salad was a but small but for the price I would say fair with LOTS of meats and cheese and the traditional fixings, the pizza was disappointing I ordered a slice of Sicilian Pizza and received a slice of thin crust regular pizza. I have to say the sauce was EXCELLENT - this coming from an NJ Italian =) Will give them a second chance. Was 45 min for delivery on a Saturday - pretty average for Ithaca.
Jen S — Google review
Accidentally didn’t read reviews before ordering from here. It’s been 2 hours and we still don’t have our food. The delivery guy finally called and wanted us to give him step by step directions on how to get to our house. We never got our pizza
Mitchel S — Google review
Ordered a pizza at 12:05am for a 12:46am delivery. Pizzeria said it would be 5-10 minutes twice after 12:46am as it was out for delivery. Drive called at 2:08am to deliver. I declined and the pizzeria will not refund the order. Hard to be their inability to delivery a timely pizza is now my loss.
Lee Z — Google review
I ordered from there last night and Will never order again. I figured I'd give it another try since the last time I ordered was 5 years ago but NO. The first time my chicken wings were literally raw, and this time they were bright pink and the pizza was not good either. 🤢 extremely disgusted.
Melina S — Google review
I never give one stars but this place really sucked. Ate twice from here as it us really close to my place. The pizza was quite underwhelming for a pizzeria . However, what was really terrible was the terrible value for money on their fried chicken. I was given one big chicken breast and three super tiny wings when there were supposed to be 4 pieces and this was for 7 or 8 bucks . This, when I explicitly said I didn't want wings. It was tasteless too. Just chicken deep fried in oil. This place has nothing going for it. Ostensibly, it has good menu variety but it doesn't have the capacity to deliver on it. For the quality, the prices are too high. Avoid.
Abhinav C — Google review
Can we have a no stars option??? HORRIBLE service, pizza was crap! I got "large" wings and they came in a tiny Togo box and they were the size on nickels. The garlic knots only had 5 maybe the size a dollar coin and everything was completely burnt. Needless to say the driver was very rude and careless that the food was burnt and he had an attitude about give me my money back. My advice save yourself from being hungry and order pudgies!
Katelynn V — Google review
I order from this place all the time, and i have to say the best thing to order from this place is there wings. for 50 cent a wing and the size of them you can't beat it. the cheese pizza is only a dollar 25 a slice and if you want deal the guy will work with you to make it happen. besides those two items the place needs to bring better food to the table and faster serves. But 50 cent wings all day now thats what I'm talking about.
Jessica S — Google review
I ordered something called Canadian french fries. I myself am candian. The French fries had gravy on them that tasted like it hadn't been mixed properly. It was the saltier thing I have ever tasted, PURE salt. When I called and asked to speak to the manager I got a man on the phone with an accent. I explained it was too salty and asked if I could get a different order of it another time that wasn't made this way. He said well maybe next time you shouldn't order gravy on it, this is the gravy I use for everything. I said, please do me a favor a taste test your gravy and tell me that it's not our salt. He said well I said next time just don't order gravy on your fries if you think it's too salty. He was extremely rude and in no way wanting to accommodate or meet in the middle with me. So I said is there a different manager I can speak with, your being very rude. So I said nevermind, I will call tomorrow and speak with a different manager. Thank you, have a nice day. And hung up. Based off of this... I don't think I would ever order from them again.

Solaz is a popular breakfast burrito stand at the Ithaca Farmers Market, known for its delicious and high-quality Mexican food. Visitors rave about the amazing breakfast burritos, with some even making special trips to the market just to indulge in Solaz's offerings. The friendly workers and excellent customer service add to the overall experience, making it a must-visit spot at the farmers market.
Line was long however it was so worth it! It’d be great if they have a more efficient system in taking orders. It got so confusing when they called the names of the burritos instead of people’s names. Classic and special breakfast burritos were tasty. Pollo verde burrito was highly recommended as well. Their salsas (hot, medium, mild) were so good, definitely added so many layers of flavors.
Liyana — Google review
The large special burrito hot was 🔥! Nice and cheesey and eggy with hot salsa. I think the eggs are locally sourced. Only downside is the long line.
Zachary T — Google review
Needed breakfast at the farmer's market. Solaz was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!! We love Mexican food, and the breakfast burritos were soooo good. Even if we don't need anything at the market, we will stop here specifically to get food from Solaz. EXCELLENT!!!
SharkMan — Google review
These burritos are completely overhyped. My husband and I got the breakfast burrito and the pollo verde burrito. Both were very bland. The chicken did not seem like pollo verde at all, because it had no tomatillos. The wait was long too, which made it extra disappointing because we expected it to be good.

Amazing burritos. Great workers. Love this place. I only get their food from the Ithaca Farmers Market but I went there specifically for a bday gift to myself-came from Syracuse and told the worker how we were at the market specifically for their food and she was very nice and gave me a lemonade on the house (very tasty!). Quality food, super nice workers. Wish they were in Syracuse.
Carrie F — Google review
Used to love these, did something change? I recall it being flavorful and creamy with sour cream. No cream, barely any salsa or beans, flavorless with overcooked eggs and too much cheese. End of a thing for me. Goes poorly with the smell of blacktop from the new parking lot. Ordered 5 smalls and 2 larges for whole family, $50.
