Great experience from Ohio we eat fresh made ice cream weekly that we walk to. This was top notch! Thank you from a bunch of nuts...(buckeyes..oh..io)

I love eating here!!! The make your own burgers, with all the different types of fries. Today I was serviced by Mario. He was very nice pleasant professional food was amazing and cut thoroughly. Thank you for all your hard work.

We went there for dinner with family we were visiting. We keep to a Vegan diet and our daughter Vegetarian, while her husband is omniviore. All of were able to get dinner and ice cream treats afterwards. Our Vegan diet is about personal health so we are more flexible than some others might be about the fact that the Vegan burgers and veggies are cooked on the same grill as meat. For the same reasons we did not check to see if the ice cream cones were Vegan. Anyone who is concerned about such details should check and might end up eating elsewhere depending on what they find out. Alternatively, if one orders ice cream in a cup that should be acceptable for most people who keep to a Vegan diet. Our food order tonight: White Bean Lentil Burger: Whole Wheat Roll, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Chipotle aiolin, *Fried Onions, Jalapeno, No Extras Add Side Field Green Salad, honey mustard, No Drink Crispy Chicken Cobb Salad; Fried chicken breast, hard boiled egg, field greens, roma tomato, cucumber, avocado, carrots, choice of dressing Balsamic Vinegrette Dressing White Bean Lentil Burger: Whole Wheat Roll, *Grilled Bell Peppers, *Grilled Mushrooms, *Grilled Onions, No Extras Add Side Field Green Salad, Basalmic, No Drink Black Bean Burger: scratch made vegan black bean burger has a touch of BBQ flavor. Whole Wheat Roll, *Grilled Bell Peppers, *Grilled Mushrooms, *Grilled Onions, Jalapeno, Tomatoes, Lettuce, Add Avocado, Add on Sweet Potato Fries, No Drink Our deserts: Junior Scoop Vegan, Cup, Vegan Chocolate Chunk gf, Junior Scoop Vegan, Cup, Vegan Vanilla Bean gf Junior Scoop, Cup, Black Raspberry Junior Scoop, Cup, Bittersweet, 1 Scoop Vegan, Sugar cone, Vegan Chocolate Chunk gf 2 Scoop, Vegan, Waffle Cone, Vegan Mint Choc Chunk gf, Vegan Wild Berry The vegan burgers are an alternative for those who don't want commercial Vegan burgers. We liked the black bean burger better in terms of texture but both were mushy, and didn't have much flavor. We probably would not get either again. The sweet potato fries were good, not great. The side salads were surprisingly generous. Everyone liked the ice cream. The Vegan ice cream all were very good. It is possible to get Vegan shakes and vegan sundaes, which we did not try tonight.

We loved celebrating my roommates birthday here tonight. Alexis was so sweet and helpful. We had so much fun taking on the expedition sundae split between 8 of us! 😅💗

Phenomenal. The best ice cream I’ve ever had. Easily. More than 40 flavors and it’s a whole different level of creamy and smooth. There’s a reason it’s a local fave since 1932!
Christopher F — Google review
We are Ithaca residents, and Purity is our go to place for a treat out of the house. The ice cream is great quality, tons of classic snd some absent grade flavors. The order and delivery process is a bit different, but very efficient. The dining area is reminiscent of retro 1960’s decor. They also have a grill at a separate counter for hamburgers and sodas. Casey and Liam are great host and hostesses. Be sure to ask for them when you come!
Dan C — Google review
I have been going here my whole life and it's always a great spot. The price is a tad high but understandable when considering the quality of the ingredients. The service is generally good but the person who served me today could've expressed more hospitality. There were a couple cleanliness issues that I noticed such as unclean prep areas, and it was a little disorganized behind the counter, but the customer seating area was nice and clean as usual. This place is honestly great for brunch, a quick bite to eat, or any ice cream craving I will definitely continue to come back.

Amazing place if your looking to get diner style food. Ice cream is light and not to heavy. Pairs well with fresh cooked fries!

Bar
Located in Ithaca, New York, the Ithaca Ale House is a laid-back establishment known for its rotating craft beers and signature burgers and sandwiches. While they do offer meal options such as salads, chicken wings, sliders, and spring rolls, the focus here is on their extensive selection of ale, wine, and bottled beverages. The atmosphere is perfect for a night out with friends or to unwind after a day of exploring nearby attractions like Taughannock Falls State Park or Robert H.
Visited Ithaca Ale House and loved it. My husband had the Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon, and I had the Ancho Citrus Gluten Free Salad, and my daughter had the grilled cheese and everything was delicious! We all ate every bite - the food was so satisfying. The host and our server were also very nice and attentive!
Sarah O — Google review
We decided to check out the Ithaca ale house because of a TikTok that I saw regarding the skillet wings. The flavor of the skillet wings were so good however, I wish there was a little more topping on them for paying two dollars extra to make them skillet and the beer, cheese was really good, but the pretzel was average. It wasn’t really busy inside, so our waitress gave us a lot of attention and she was very sweet. I can’t remember her name, but she did a great job. The host seemed a bit flustered, but it could just have been an off day for him. I would definitely go back and get the wings again if I would visit Ithaca. The atmosphere was just your basic bar, but they did have a lot of seating.
Elizabeth W — Google review
Dropped into Ale House with high expectations after a recommendation from an Ithacan. The lady at the reception was engaged in a long conversation with a young man and didn’t notice me standing there. When she finally took me to a table, she showed no courtesy or hospitality, which was disappointing. However, the young lady who served me was polite and attentive, and she ensured my food arrived promptly. Although they claim to have an award-winning burger, I didn’t find anything particularly unique about it. Overall, I have mixed feelings about the restaurant.
Ubaya M — Google review
I keep coming back for the skillet wings. They’re the best! Ithaca Ale House never disappoints. Great spot for food, drinks, and good vibes.

Awesome food, good beer options with few local ones and service is excellent. We sat outside and the view and ambience was great
Sabyasachi C — Google review
Phenomenal food. The surf and turf burger was so good and something new and different. The shromming pizza was also different and tasty. Service was good. Only downside is parking.
Peter C — Google review
Great value for the money. Good portions Fresh and tasty Good presentation Very clean Knowledgable and patient servers Comfortable seating Bathrooms are clean Great beer selection at reasonable prices and tall pours Food is delicious and onion rings crisp and tasty though I think they should be thicker cut as it does not provide enough of the onion and onion flavour due to the batter to onion ratio Burger bun to burger meat ratio perfect. Meat cook, texture, seasoning, and freshness was A1 All in all a surprisingly solid dining experience and will certainly patron whenever possible.
Avy-Loren C — Google review
First time visiting. Oh my the food!!! It was a hard decision to make but I chose a burger and what a great choice - juicy, flavorful and cooked and put together as I ordered!! The French fries are the BEST I have EVER had!! We also ordered boneless wings with garbage sauce and omg soooo good and large portion. The cook did a fabulous job. My daughter ordered a Cesar salad and it was huge and she said very good along with a large pub pretzel and of course that was good too. I will definitely be returning!! Megan our waitress was awesome. Very attentive and pleasant. 😊 It was a great lunch spent with my daughter. The atmosphere is very clean, quiet and so much space. This is DEFINITELY A PLACE TO GO TO AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Bagel shop

Located in the vibrant Collegetown neighborhood near Cornell University, Collegetown Bagels is a popular spot among students and locals alike. Known as a hub for casual dining and social gatherings, it offers a diverse menu of breakfast and lunch options. The atmosphere is often described as lively, with patrons conversing in various languages, earning it the nickname 'mini-United Nations.' Visitors can also enjoy a wide selection of beverages while taking in the bustling surroundings or opting for outdoor seating.
Collegetown Bagels is a popular spot right in front of Cornell University. Despite the name, which might suggest they only sell bagels, this place offers much more! They have a wide variety of drinks, including beer, alongside their bagel selections. While I only had coffee during my visit, I'm definitely curious to try their beer next time I'm in the area. It's a convenient and versatile place for students and visitors alike, whether you're grabbing a quick bite or looking to unwind with a drink.

Ordered a cappuccino which was completely flat with a thin layer of foam on top (as opposed to properly frothed/steamed). It was also scalding hot (AKA over-steamed) and I burned myself trying to drink it. Got a nova lox bagel ($13) and came out to be $17 after subbing for allergens, making one addition, and tax. The additional fees for subs seems excessive and borderline exploitive to people who require these accommodations to eat, especially when the sub ingredients are likely basement price/quality (basing this off the tofutti cream cheese, which is terrible), and in consideration to the fact these are NOT additions, but substitutions. I would say overall maybe try to incorporate allergy friendly ingredients without overpricing for them and train employees to actually make a drink properly so people are getting what they pay for instead of a hot mess (literally). I will say in light of this, the guy who helped me order my food was very easy to talk to and helpful, though he didn’t mention the additional fees for subs.
Zel — Google review
After a full morning of exploring Ithaca, wandering through Cornell University and chasing waters, we found ourselves a bit hungry. Collegetown Bagels and surrounding were the perfect stops. The area was quiet with school out of session, that only added to the charm. We enjoyed sitting outside and soaking in the calm summer vibes - just what we needed. CTB offers a great variety - bagels, creative sandwiches and assortment of drinks and tempting desserts. There’s definitely something for everyone here.
Canh V — Google review
A lot of options and the ingredients seem pretty good. The taste of sandwiches were pretty average though. The guy at the counter seemed grumpy as well, which isn't the best interaction to start off your day in the morning. The delivery of our food was extremely slow even though we did not have people in front of us. Good location vibe and outdoor sitting.
Woo K — Google review
The bagels are incredible! I also love that you can add various toppings like tomatoes and cucumbers. Please open one up in Ann Arbor, Michigan! Also would love one in Midtown Atlanta. OK, and in Royal Oak, Michigan please. The coffee was good also and so were the lattes perfect ratio of espresso to milk and when I asked for extra hot, the temperature was just right. In short, great place!
Orit B — Google review
Not really a huge issue that you have to order food and drinks at different stations, but the staff’s attitude can make the process a little stressful if it’s your first time here. So basically, sandwiches and salads are at the very back of the restaurant, while soup and pastries are ordered at the counter in the middle of the hallway, and beers or other drinks are at the counter right by the entrance.
Dongyun H — Google review
I ordered an everything bagel with bacon egg and ham, made sure to emphasize that I don’t want cheese because I am allergic to dairy. I also ordered chipotle aioli which I was charged extra for. I finally got my bagel 45 minutes after ordering and it was a plain bagel, had cheese on it, and had no chipotle aioli. Definitely not happy!

Vegetarian restaurant
Vegan restaurant
Moosewood is a well-known restaurant located in downtown Ithaca, housed in a beautifully renovated historic brick school building. For nearly fifty years, it has been serving up healthy and natural cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant operates as a collectively owned business and offers a farm-to-table menu that emphasizes the use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, herbs, whole grains, nuts, legumes, olive oils, and cheeses.
This is the "highbrow" vegetarian spot near Cornell. The food quality is generally quite good, but it can fluctuate with the seasonal menu changes. Sneaking in a salt-shaker just in case the chef is phoning it in that month isn't a bad idea. They have occasional special events that are more tempting for vegans. In short, keep an eye out for special events and a menu rotation that looks tempting if getting vegan food is a top priority!
Lake K — Google review
If you, like many vegetarians of a certain age, learned to cook from the Moosewood cookbook, you need to stop by if you are in Ithaca. The staff was pleasant, the restaurant homey, the food was decent but uninspired and something you can get at many mainstream restaurants. There were six entrées on the menu and I think I’ve seen all of them at suburban restaurants in other places. With such an amazing reputation, it would be nice if the special of the day was something that you can’t usually get everywhere else. Salmon salad? The veggie pot pie was deconstructed, with some veggies and a sauce in a bowl and a crescent of crispy puff pastry on top. The curry dish has some spice to it, and the cauliflower was delicious, but a little scant for the price.
Karen S — Google review
This is a bucket list item for me and it did not disappoint. Everything about this restaurant is joyful especially the food experience. The dishes were vibrant, colorful, and delicious. A worthwhile experience and I am so grateful to have experienced it and look forward to trying out the cookbook. Wish there were more restaurants like this one.
James P — Google review
Great vegetarian restaurant. I had heard a lot of good things about it on the parent’s group & it surpassed our expectations. Wonderful ambience, great service & delicious food. Definitely recommend. The sweet potato & black eyed pea soup & batatas bravas are a must try.
Sonali — Google review
Having owned the Moosewood cookbook for decades, I was excited to visit this culinary icon of vegetarianism. We loved the green pea hummus especially, but all three dishes we ordered were delicious. Emily provided excellent service on the covered patio. The nicely appointed gift shop, displaying many of the MW cookbooks, had unexpected delights. I purchased a locally made candle with an unusual yet pleasant scent. My only negative which resulted in 4 stars is the inside tables are very close to each other and the original table was crammed next to a wall and was very wobbly. We opted for the outdoor seating as a result. We suggest they consider giving patrons a bit more space indoors.
Robert B — Google review
We'd came here during the Pandemic and were a little underwhelmed but it's THE legendary Moosewoods so when we came back to Ithaca, we knew we needed to give it another shot. Happy that Moosewoods is back and better than ever! Everything was delicious but the vegan tomato soup and curry were the real knockouts. Hope to come back again soon!
LL C — Google review
The restaurant was a find during my impromptu visit to Ithaca. I read up on the place and saw that it was one of the pioneers in promoting vegan forward cuisine. Even though I love my meat, the menu was so interesting that I had to try it out. And I will say this place did not disappoint. The food was amazing, it was just what I expected. Vegan forward with some amazing ingredients and really tasty. What was a surprise were the amazing craft cocktails, they were banging! Shout-out to the bar folks they have created an amazing menu and the drinks are good! All in a great place to unwind with some great food and cocktails.
Sayoni G — Google review
Cute apparently famous vegetarian restaurant in downtown Ithaca. Went with my family of 6, including one extremely meat-obsessed male. We started with the bread basket and lemon tahini broccoli for apps. The broccoli was deliciously charred, and the bread was good, but the portions were quite small, and the apps took like half an hour to come out. For entrees we ordered the daily soup with the steelhead, southern peach salad, chili verde, Thai red curry, Moroccan stew, and pasta strozapretti. While all the dishes were good, and the peach in my salad provided a deliciously juicy and sweet pop, there were way too many peas- like half the salad was peas. I really loved the Moroccan stew though, especially the couscous. Everything was fresh and well-flavored, but, despite a decent portion size, for a usually pretty carnivorous family, not super satisfying. Additionally, our server was nice, but the food took super long to come out, and a family that came after us got served like half an hour before us. We ordered the chocolate cake, almond cake, and vanilla homemade ice cream for dessert. I ate the chocolate cake, which was extremely rich and delicious - I loved the vegan whipped cream and orange frosting! I also had ordered a lavender lemonade as a drink, with someone else ordering the regular lemonade, but we couldn't taste the difference. Overall, the food was good and fresh, but the wait times and prices made the experience not super worth it. Glad to have tried it once, though!

Just A Taste is a cozy restaurant located in the bustling Aurora Street near Ithaca's outdoor pedestrian mall. The warm setting and garden patio provide a romantic ambiance for diners to enjoy Spanish small plates and an extensive selection of wines by the glass. Despite its popularity, the restaurant offers a charming dining experience with attentive service, making it an ideal spot for couples or small groups.
Both chocolate lava and deep fried potato wedges with chipotle sauce were superb! The service is also pleasant. Be prepared to wait to be seated if you come here during dinner time though.
Ornwara T — Google review
Dining-in or outdoor seating are currently not available at Just A Taste but curbside pick-up via online is. The street was closed and parking was really bad around the area. We tried their Braised Duck Leg, Bourbon Banana Breadpudding and Shortrib Entree with reasonable price $50 (+tax and tip). We assigned pick up at a specific time and the service was helpful by sending a reminding text. The food was amazingly tasty especially the Bourbon Banana Breadpudding which was soft, creamy and melted in our mouth immediately. The duck leg was also flavorful and tender with appetizing onion & olive. However, the portion of Shortrib Entree was small and not enough for my husband. The order didn’t come with plastic utensils and napkins which was eco friendly but they should’ve let customers know in advance.
Hsin W — Google review
I liked the food but the wine and dessert was just ok. Since the owner asked what is ok i will tell the reason. I ordered chocolate soufflé for dessert. When i got the dish. The chocolate was cold and i could tell they just bought the brownies and put chocolate syrup underneath(if i am wrong I’m sorry but still cold soufflé is bad). For the wines. It’s really depends on the personal taste. Just not good for me. I didn’t say it was bad. I said just ok it means not good or bad.
Irene J — Google review
A lot of small plates to choose from, but the quantity is not that great. Usually very crowded, and has long wait times. Has a good selection of wines and beer. The service is adequate and could definitely be improved.

Causal tapas place in downtown Ithaca. The dishes were all good. I'd especially recommend the savoury bread pudding with cheddar and the gratin with gruyere and broccoli. Some of the reviewers sound like they're expecting fine dining here - it's not that; it's solid casual food with a huge variety of dishes.

My husband and I celebrated our 1st anniversary at MIX and it couldn’t have been better! ❤️ The food was amazing; we loved it. The place was cozy and the ambience was perfect for our anniversary dinner date. MIX will always be special for both of us.

A tremendous dining experience. The French Onion Soup Dumplings were wonderfully delicious. Our entrees were superb, Filet Mignon & a Short Rib Stir Fry, as well as my specialty cocktail, The Nutty Professor. Our server Tina was charming & helpful, the hostess Kayla was very friendly & welcoming. The bartender (didn’t catch her name) was also skilled & delivered our drinks with genuine concern. We didn’t have room for dessert at the time, so Tina simply proceeded with a slice of delicious cheesecake to go. Hospitality is a word they know well at Mix!

Everyone enjoyed the food. No wait on a Sunday morning for breakfast. Service was a little slow to start but we had people meeting us so that wasn't a problem. Once the server came he checked back frequently and everything was fine. Pancake was bigger than the plate! Canolli french toast was awesome. Portions are huge! Great find!

Nice little restaurant serving up traditional American fare providing both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor patio allows folks to bring their pets and they are pet friendly. The front end staff were very friendly but the back end kitchen folks were struggling. Messed up our group’s order multiple times, putting wrong sides to wrong mains, wrong dressing on salads, etc. in the end, they even messed up our bill. Food tasted average and nothing super special. Lots of Cornell students with families there especially on the weekends. Check your bill before paying. Free parking on site.

We went for a group dinner and the food tasted average for me. Wings and others as starters and 🍹 cocktails and special dinner menu - all menu just wanted to add “quite expensive” but taste like normal. Lastly while paying, that lady was rude (or probably she was a bit exhausted from work), as $240 did not go through, I was trying to say - I need to permit my phone app as from a European card - it happened! Cause that one big amount and card provider sent me a message “suspicious transaction “ 🤔 ; but she just ignored and did not allow me to try by myself. I just love their sitting environment and bread 💙. Thanks!

I try to come here for brunch anytime I visit Ithaca. The Cannoli French Toast is divine… pretty much the only item on the menu that I ever order because it’s just that good!
Rena R — Google review
The noodle and salad bowl we ordered were both great. Both my partner and I ordered cocktails on the menu that they could not do the night we visited. The waitress was also less than enthused any we asked to sit outside on a beautiful night. Note: the crisply pork boa buns are pork on a deep fried boa bun. It is unclear on the menu as we assumed the pork itself would be the crispy bit not the bun.

I've been here several times over the past few years and it never fails to exceed expectations. The food always comes out cooked to perfection and tastes even better. Whether you dine from the menu or the specials, you can't go wrong. Portion sizes are very generous. Even the side salad, if you get one, is big. I highly recommend giving The Mix a try.

Agava is a Southwestern restaurant located in the historic East Ithaca Train Depot, offering a rustic vibe with distressed wood and desert art. The restaurant puts a unique spin on locally grown ingredients, serving wood-fired flatbreads and fried chicken tacos. The establishment features a covered back patio for a serene dining experience. Known for its seasonal foods and farm-to-table ingredients, Agava's menu includes epic flatbreads and a satisfying black bean burger.
This place has a great menu and accommodates vegetarian and gluten free customers. We had a large party of 12 and everyone was more than satisfied. We had margaritas, apps, entrees and dessert. My son had the chocolate cake and says it was awesome. My niece, Rubyz,, took the pics for this review. I highly reccomend if you are in the mood for good food and a light hearted atmosphere.

Good selection of healthy food and indulgences. Best for a casual night out. Unfortunately, highly inconsistent. Sometimes it's great. I have also had my worse restaurant experience every there. 2 hrs waiting for food. Bugs on vegetables. Baconless bacon bloody Mary. A raw burger. I have been a regular be for years but the last couple visits have been so horrendous, I can't imagine going back. They need to turn this around, because the concept is great.

the environment is pleasant and comfortable. the food was great. I had the carnitas tacos and I LOVED THEM. it was the exact amount of food I wanted, but I think most people will need to get something else as well as the tacos since you only get two and they aren't huge. the service was attentive, and helpful! I told them when I came in that I only had twenty minutes to eat and they got me my food and still ensured I had a great experience! so happy.

Hands down the best place to eat in town. Staffs were extremely friendly especially MiraBai she was amazingly attentive and fantastically great. She should get a raise. Portion sizes are too small but that’s what you get at gourmet places anyways. I tried swordfish, squid ink pasta, octopus, salmon and cheesecake and truly loved all of the food. Even their drinks were great. I’d definitely go back there if I’m in town.

Decent quality food, but not as good as I was expecting from reviews. Very busy place, and would definitely recommend a reservation if you want to be able to spend time here. I went without one, and they were able to seat us immediately with the condition we needed to be out before their next reservation. Highly recommend their chicken wing appetizer, if you can handle a little bit of spice. This was definitely the best dish I had to eat while there.

If you are a foodie or love exploring interesting favor experiences, this place is for you. I had bites of the brussel sprouts appetizer, the sweet potato appetizer, the black bean burger, and the cauliflower steak, and MY GOD, absolutely amazing all around. Complicated evolving flavor palettes and fantastic creativity, this place is worth experiencing.

First time going to brunch at Agava and I was not disappointed! Crabby patties were a hit with me, as were the wood oven cinnamon rolls. Partner had a specialty omelette and liked it a lot. Not a cheap place per se, but for two with coffee and "appetizer" came to $38 but we had a $10 off coupon that brought that total down.

Busy and cheery. Ate on covered deck. Salmon was melt in the mouth smooth with light charing. Delicious Tiramisu. and you get to watch the dogs! And if you want to get away from the crowd, you can sit at a greenhouse covered picnic table.

Restaurant
Viva Taqueria & Cantina, established in 1995, brings a taste of California-style taqueria to Ithaca. The adjacent Viva Cantina offers a full-service dining experience with an array of margaritas, premium tequilas, Mexican and local beers, and fresh sangria. Their menu includes tacos, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas, soups and salads. Additionally, the restaurant provides gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions.
Loved this place! I had the super smothered burrito and my wife ordered the taco salad. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. I was especially excited about the pickled carrots, they were amazing and clearly homemade. As a Mexican, my expectations were high, and this spot absolutely delivered.

We had a couple cocktails and a snack of nachos. Nachos were very good. Atmosphere was bright and cheerful. We sat outside. Our server was busy, and was okay. She could've been a little more attentive. Overall, everything was good.

Sure! Here’s a polished Google review you can use for Viva Taqueria in Ithaca: ⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stopped in at Viva and tried the Macho Nachos—delicious! Generous, fresh toppings and great flavor. We added a side of guacamole, which was a perfect match. The service was friendly and quick, making the whole experience enjoyable. Would definitely come back!

We came from Pompey just to eat here. It was a beautiful fall day and someone heard it had good food. It is on Ithaca Commons and perfect weather we were seated outside. Gabe S met all our needs as our server. He was prompt, friendly and very professional. Two people in our party have special diets and Gabe followed that to the letter. If the food should be hot it was hot and if the food should be cold it was. So, in short, if you are lucky enough to get Gabe S as a server here, you are lucky enough!!

Haven’t been since they moved until today. I used to like their quesadillas. Was pretty disappointed with the food, just did not taste good, lacked flavor (both the burrito and chips and salsa were very bland to me), and not what I look for in Mexican food. I got my food quickly at 12:30 pm from the taco bar side, service and ambience were good. The food just will not get a return visit again sadly.
Olivia M — Google review
We visited Viva on Valentine's Day 2023 and it was a wonderful experience! Our table wasn't quite ready when we arrived, so we sat at the bar and enjoyed an order of Mini Nachos. I like this smaller sized portion which was perfect as a starter. The fresh squeezed orange-limeade was refreshing. My husband enjoyed a soft taco plate while I enjoyed the hard shell tacos! (one of our only debates in our home!) To Crunch or Not To Crunch... that is the question! We celebrate our anniversary each week, and Viva Taqueria made our 93rd Taco Tuesday together very memorable. Thanks for a wonderful Valentine's experience.

With lunch specials available on weekdays, it's a great place to savor delicious Vietnamese flavors. Had Pho Tai Gau for 14usd. Good portion of beef and sweet yummy broth. It’s just the noodles are bit tangled together yet it’s good enough. Also especially appreciate they provide Chinese chili oil. Def would come again when I crave pho

The food was amazing, pho was super flavourful and fried rice had that nice wok fried flavor, fish had amazing crisp and texture to it with nice savory sauce. My only complaints was I had a fly in my pho served to me but I told the workers and they made me a new pho and compensated me with a free thai tea, also I ordered a crab rangoon but they handed me a completely different squid appetizer but they fixed the issue quickly. Overall really good and good service!

Unassuming space but really great food. Id be considering going to the other Asian noodles place around the corner but this one had more reviews and frankly looked more authentic. Was not disappointed. Had a killer bowl of pho tai nam, perfect for a crisp day. They gave me a large plate of bean sprouts to boot. Everything was reasonably priced too. If I lived here this would be one of my regular spots!

Overall the food was good. They took a while to bring the food when we were out there. We bought the shrimp and chicken mainly for the curries. The shrimp was cooked very tender but felt the chicken were cooked little extra. Flavors were pretty good.

Good tasty food with lots of choices for everyone. Spicy Jungle fried rice can be made from L1 to 5 spicy. I choose L4 which was about right for me. Plenty of beef. The pho was tasty. Vermicelli chicken was all well liked. The appetizers arrived after the main dishes which was strange. But they were good. Vietnamese coffee was similar to Thai iced tea.

The Ithaca Farmers Market is a lively open-air market held on weekends in a spacious pavilion by the scenic Cayuga Lake. It offers an array of farm-fresh produce, flowers, local wines, and handmade crafts. Visitors can also indulge in diverse international cuisines while enjoying live music and entertainment. The market's vibrant atmosphere reflects the region's agricultural abundance and artistic creativity. Additionally, it has expanded to include Wednesday markets at its East Hill location and a Sunday Market at Steamboat Landing.
Loved this place. So many great vendors with variety of choices. We Enjoyed mushroom, kombucha and cherries. Since we were traveling, we didn't by a lot but if I were local, I would have Enjoyed more. Still a great place during our road trip.

Just went there for the first time and I really loved this place!! There are various types of stalls, for example: fresh fruits & vegetables directed from farms, foods for all over the over world, artisan breads, sweets, dairy meats & products, arts & jewelry, flowers etc. I want to come back again soon! Absolutely recommend for those who live here or nearby!☺️👏🏻

By far a superb Farmers Market. So popular they have to have parking lot attendants to manage and the overflow parking. Get there early for the best parking. Many many vendors offering a huge selection, including many organically grown vegetables as well as food vendors serving a wide selection of dishes from American to Chinese, Thai and Cambodian and others. Atmosphere was fantastic with young and old enjoying the market and lakeside events. Picnic tables available to enjoy food bought from the vendors. All produce had to be grown within 30 miles in order to be offered for sale.

Such a great experience. Live music, close access to the scenic boat tours, and plenty of variety throughout the available shops. It gets a little crowded, but in a good way. Definitely get the macaroons!

I love farmers markets, Ithaca, Santa Fe, Woodstock, Cary and Crystal Lake. The Ithaca market has a really beautiful venue by the river. The vendors include traditional fruits and vegetables during season, cheeses, various craft meats, several wine, cider, beer offerings including tastings, several food options like burritos, Thai, middle eastern, tibitetian, lemonades, various parties, breads. This is definitely worth the trip, but prepare yourself for patience and understanding because everyone really likes to go there.

The BEST farmers market around and honestly one of the very best I’ve ever been too. There’s countless food, arts, and farm stands that come in a variety of forms! You can buy anything from sheepskin to clothes to pottery while you sip fresh brewed espresso, eat a fresh cooked hot meal, or snack on your favorite dessert. Don’t forget to stop by any or many of the farm vendors!! There’s local organic veggies galore, local cheese vendors, and local meat vendors. Parking can be difficult so try to come early if you can. You can sit at one of the tables or benches next to the inlet or on the docks while you eat and listen to some live music. Enjoy everything this market has to offer!! A lot of vendors use cash only so come with cash to spend!! Support the local artisans and farmers with cash if you can!
Sierra — Google review
This is a fantastic farmers market. Its a permanent structure, with toilets and an ATM. There are fresh produce vendors, small producers, drinks to go, food to go, artisan crafts, maple syrup, bakeries, honey, artists.....

Taste of Thai Express is a low-key spot offering familiar soups, curries, rice dishes, and pad Thai with the option for outdoor seating. The restaurant has been serving customers since 2003 and provides a wide selection of food including spicy dishes and vegetarian choices. While some have found the offerings overwhelming in their selection, others have praised the delicious Thai cuisine served here.
Me and my friends visit this restaurant during our trip to Ithaca. I ordered red curry, it was tasty. They said it is spicy but it is not for me. The rice was a bit dry. My friend ordered seafood fried rice, it was really good. I also try my friend’s tom yum, it was okay. Not the best tom yum I ever tried.

First experience and probably last. Did drive thru pick up. Supposed to be ready at 6:18. 6:20 they asked me to pull to the Dunkin parking lot next door and they'll let me know when it is ready. 6:50, I walk up to the window to ask if it was done and the lady had to go to the back to check on it. She returned a couple minutes later and handed me a bag and said it just got finished. I stick my hand in and the containers are warm, not hot. So, it clearly was not JUST done. The Chinese food that had been sitting on a counter at the Ling Ling restaurant for 20 minutes waiting for us was WAY hotter. Got the food back to the house, opened it up and it was not hot and almost room temp. The flavor was good but not worth the 30 minutes extra sitting there. On a plus, having a Dunkin Donuts right there allowed my Fiance to get a coffee while we waited! Overall, if you decide to give it a shot, do NOT do the drive thru to pick up your food. On a side note, we got the Yellow Curry and the Pinapple Fried Rice. The Sesame Chicken and the Beef & Broccoli were from Ling Ling's and I HIGHLY recommend them.
Nathaniel T — Google review
Food: Ordered two Drunken Noodles with tofu. The taste was good, but there was barely any tofu in my dish. The food was not hot enough—some items felt like they were at room temperature. Service: Service was noticeably slow. Ambience: The restaurant has a great atmosphere with large glass windows. There's also outdoor seating available. Cleanliness: Both the restaurant and restroom were clean. Parking: Free parking is available, but spots are limited. Overall: Good taste and clean setting, but the portion quality, food temperature, and speed of service could be improved.
Darshan K — Google review
The spring rolls were dripping oil, but okay enough. The chicken satay was very good. The thai fried rice and curry were okay, but not something we would order again. The drunken noodles were inedible as they were spongy noodles that were drowning in sauce and oil. The restaurant is dirty and sticky, and the food looked like it was half dropped before getting to the table. We had been considering this place for catering but quickly realized it was a definite no. The obvious lack of cleanliness is concerning.

Highly recommend not to eat here…. We came out at 6pm to order… and then we waited 45 minutes for a starter… the waiter never told us that it would take so long… they didn’t give us water… and the rest of the food took almost an hour to be served…. My Pad Thai ….the shrimp and scallops inside was frozen….. It’s a waste of time and money to eat here….👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

I’ve eaten at many Thai restaurants around the country and this place still makes the 2nd best pad see ew I’ve had. I get that dish every restaurant to test it and this is always top of the list. I came here a lot in college 10 years ago and decided to give it a go when I came back to visit. It was still very delicious. My party also got drunken noodles, fried rice, chicken satay, spring rolls, and loved them. Service was friendly, quick, exactly what you’d expect. It wasn’t busy when we went but regardless no issues.

I was a little apprehensive after having read mixed reviews, as I haven't been here in a while. We got takeout and it was delicious. My favorite was the red curry with chicken. Perfect level of heat, rich but not too rich, chicken was really moist, vegetables were well cooked. We also got the Pad Se Ew with beef and the stir fried green beans with pork. The green bean dish was on the oily side but flavor was good and meat was tender. The Pad Se Ew had nice char from the wok -- I just wished there had been more of the Chinese broccoli in there. Prices were really reasonable -- three entrees for right around $50. All around good and we'll be back!.

We came here reading the reviews, as we were passing by this area. Unfortunately our experience was pretty bad. We ordered Thai fried rice two different dishes. This by far was one of the worst Dish I’ve ever had. The food was loaded in oil had some foul smell in it that left us nauseous. My wife couldn’t even complete her dish. Waste of money. Italian restaurant
Mercato Bar & Kitchen is a chef-owned restaurant offering seasonal Italian cuisine in a warm and inviting setting with a full bar serving craft cocktails. The cozy and rustic decor features wood accents, warm tones, and soft lighting. The menu showcases an Italian influence with a fresh take on Mediterranean ingredients such as sausage, pancetta, and parmigiano. Guests can complement their meal with hand-selected wines or artisanal cocktails made with fresh produce, herbs, and spices. Located at 108 N.
Mercato serves up excellent food in a cozy, intimate space. I had the fish baked in parchment paper—the special of the night—and it was absolutely delicious: light, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. My daughter had the skirt steak and fries, which were also excellent—tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so seating can feel a bit tight, but the quality of the food makes it well worth it. A great spot to dine if you're in Ithaca and looking for something special.

This place is absolutely to die for. If you don’t like anything on the menu that you think you’ll like… GET THE BREAD!!! The bread is amazing and I could eat it all just for dinner. The service was also incredible, got a taste test of wine, as a family we felt very cared for and respected. I would come here again and again if I could. Definitely a recommendation!!

If I could give 8 stars out of 5 I would. I'm taken away how great the food is from such a small kitchen. I really wished I lived closer to enjoy this food minimal 4x a month. The service at the bar was great and very involved. The food was out of this world. The soup was full of flavor. The main dish was also full of great flavor, the sides were great. The beer selection was a bit low but made up in drink availability. If any one reads this, yes it's worth every penny!!

I don't know how this restaurant doesn't have five stars. The food was full of flavor and nuance. The service was friendly and extremely knowledgeable on every aspect of the menu. Server spilled food on my brother and ran off without apologizing, there wasn’t any spills on her as she tipped the plate over so we’re not sure why she sprinted away so fast. We had to use everyone’s napkins at the table to clean up my brother’s arm and chair. This server never came back to our table. Hostess and our waiter was nice otherwise. Food is fine, nothing special but not bad.
Claire C — Google review
We had an amazing dinner here. Our server was so attentive and professional, the timing of everything was perfect. We ordered two entrees that we were planning to share, and the server had the kitchen split them for us without us asking, which felt really above and beyond. We had a white wine that the server helped us select, the fettuccine with clams, chicken piccata, finishing up with panna cotta and coffee. Each part perfect. We loved the cozy vibe inside as well.

Very quaint and inviting. The atmosphere in this restaurant is very relaxed and offers dinning as well as a great bar. Our waiter was excellent. Northstar Public House is a charming American bistro located in Fall Creek, known for its emphasis on local and organic ingredients. The restaurant offers a diverse menu catering to various dietary preferences, including gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. For meat lovers, the menu features dishes like whole jerk chicken wings, beer-battered fish and chips, and a roasted garlic burger made with beef from Autumns Harvest Farm.
This vegetarian leaning restaurant serves up some delicious dishes, including some with animal protein. I selected the pork and mushroom special. The pork was slowly roasted with spices and herbs. There were several types of herbs flavoring the mushrooms. Blood orange margarita was a great accompaniment. Appetizer was squash fritters with a delicious sauce. We also tried the squash curry and yum, definitely worth trying. This is a must try restaurant.

This was our first restaurant during a 4 night visit to Ithaca and area. I say that because we wanted to return later but unfortunately it was closed for two nights for a private event. My wife is celiac and she ordered the fish and chips with sides of mac and cheese and fries. She found the order plentiful and excellent. The fish was lightly breaded, properly cooked, and VERY tasty. The fries were excellent and the mac and cheese also tasty. It was a real treat for a celiac to be able to order delicious gluten-free fish and chips. I ordered the blackened fish and grits and it too was delicious and plentiful. Unfortunately, I gave this restaurant 4* because of the very long wait for our meals to be delivered and then for the bill to arrive later. And this despite the fact that the place was less than half full. However, the three staff were all moving very quickly and our server was quite helpful when we placed our order. So I suspect that maybe the restaurant was short-staffed that day or unable to hire sufficient staff. In any case, even with the wait we were willing to return if we could.

Visiting from San Antonio and wanted a local spot away from The Commons. Found Northstar after our visit to Ithaca Falls and wow, did we strike gold. Great vibe, stocked bar (that's also a pop culture scavenger hunt), great service and the best meal we had the whole trip. Fried green tomatoes that are Gluten Free, yes please! My wife had the salmon & grits and I crushed the Tamari glazed chicken. Flower Power IPA & the Gentle Violet for the drinks. Thanks Jed & team for a great experience, we'll be back.

Love, love, love this place! Can't wait to come back when it's warmer and we can sit outside. There's lots of Gluten-free and locally sourced options. I would say the only negative was music was kind of loud for a casual dining experience, so perhaps they could turn that down so people can converse more. The other thing was the tables were a little small for all the delicious food we wanted to order lol. We had the Gluten-free Mac n cheese which had an exquisitely creamy cheese sauce with a nice sharpness to it. The Gluten-free fish was crispy and moist inside (we switched out the fries or rather "chips" to side of coconut rice) which was a nice contrast so that it wasn't a completely fried plate. Also had the locally sourced wings, which were HUGE. We recommend the Baltimore style wings.
Giveita S — Google review
We were in the mood for fish and chips and found Northstar Public House, one of the few places in Ithaca with a Gluten Free option. So glad we did! Hands down the best dinner we’ve had during our visit. The fish and chips were amazing, the mac and cheese was super tasty, and the mocktail Shy Violet was spot on. Our server was wonderful and made the whole experience even better. The vibes are great too—reggae music playing when we walked in set the tone right away. vegan review: everything was mid. the crunch salad was the best thing i ate and it still had little flavor. the dressing needed some punching-up. the squash fritters were confusing to all of us as we expected something different based on the description; they were hush puppies. everyone liked them but they were very plain to me. the sage aioli carried a lot of the heavy lifting in terms of flavor. the curry was good but lacked salt & sauce. when i hear curry i expect it to be saucy and it just wasn’t. the “wings” were the other misnomer. they’re tofu wedges. or triangles. to call them wings is disrespectful, given what many veg restaurants are doing to innovate faux chicken wings with rice paper skin & sugarcane “bones”. the BBQ ones were good. the medium buffalo ones were not spicy. was not happy with my drink, the night nurse (medicinal taste, but based on the name i should have expected as much), but adding the strawberry rhubarb cider helped. the vegan chocolate cake was fine. the texture was really spongy and both the cake itself and chocolate glaze lacked sweetness. the service/wait was not good. we got all our food at once instead of getting appetizers out first. surprisingly, the fritters came out last. then when it came time to pay we had to sort through everything ourselves, and even after that it took a long time to get paid up. ours was a party of 12 and they had a reservation for us but still had weak service. (at the restaurant where i work i’m used to seeing servers be very attentive to large parties with reservations, but that wasn’t the case here.) atmosphere was also mid as the music was a weird combination of jazz and reggae? felt lacking in personality, like the food.

The food was really good, lots of gluten free options for my celiac wife (dedicated fryer too). Service was a little slow even though we were one of three tables. But the food made the wait worth it!

While visiting Ithaca for a music festival, we happened upon this place accidentally while looking for parking. We decided to get brunch here the next morning! It has a cozy local vibe, mixed with a contemporary and rustic touches. The food was outstanding and they serve food primarily sourced from the area. The menu was concise. Overall great find!!!!

Deli
Restaurant
Shortstop Deli, a locally owned and operated business in downtown Ithaca, has been serving the community since 1978. The deli is known for its consistently delicious sandwiches, including bagel sandwiches and hot truck pizza subs that are an ultimate indulgence. The hot truck pizza subs feature tomato sauce and mozzarella on pillowy French bread or house-made garlic bread with various toppings like crushed meatballs, sausage, or chicken breast.
Shortstop Deli has been a local institution since 1978. They operate a deli counter and convenience store with a large selection of sandwiches and snacks. They use a ticket system for ordering, which can be a little confusing if it’s your first time here. What you want to do is go up to the counter and grab a ticket. If you want a regular sandwich, you’ll want the one labeled “Ithaca style sub.” They also have tickets for breakfast sandwiches (which are really delicious) and pizza subs. Once you have your ticket, mark down what you want and give the white copy to the person making sandwiches and the yellow carbon copy to the cashier to pay. They’ll call your name when your sandwich is done. I usually take mine to go and eat it in the park, but they have tables there if you want to eat inside. I really can’t recommend this place enough! The sandwiches are always delicious and you absolutely have to try their giant cookies! I’d go so far as to say that they’re the best sandwich shop in town.
The S — Google review
Short stop deli has me short on patience. They have the most complicated ordering system. Ever. I just wanted meatball parm and a chicken parm sandwiches. I told that to the guy behind the counter and instead of taking my uncomplicated totally normal order, they make you fill out a ticket. To make it more complicated you have to fill out the right ticket. There are four. I was never a waiter and it seemed like they want the customer to do the waitstaff/ order staff job. There wasn’t a line. The place wasn’t busy. They didn’t have patience to walk us through the ordering process. Instead he knew what I was going to order before hand ( because I already told him) and said two hot sandwiches are coming up to the kitchen staff. Then they watched me struggle to figure out how to fill out the form. Was too complicated. In short, Service was lacking. Noting when the food came out, The chicken parm tastes like an overgrown chicken nugget. The sandwich wasn’t hot. I circled hot. It came luke warm at best This place is weird. The processes are weird. Everything, weird.

This place is AWFUL!! We are from out of town, walked in, staff just stares at you. You are supposed to know to pick up the sheet and fill out your order form? So we ordered a double turkey bacon on white, the Mac n cheese, and their king Reuben. What a joke. The Reuben was just a sauerkraut sand which. Barely any sauce, barely any meat, and on regular rye not dark rye even though they assured me it would be on Dark rye. The king is just two sandwiches so don’t order that unless you want two… The Mac n Cheese is gross wet noodles with no flavor… salt n pepper didn’t even make it taste any better… only thing edible after 50$ was the turkey sub, but it was all bread no meat even though we ordered a double. Would never, ever, in a million years send anyone here. 50$ too… wild Ithaca supports this place.

This place is a staple of Ithaca if you’re looking for a delicious quick stop hit the Shortstop. Customize your sandwich to order. I never leave hungry and always plenty of options. Parking is a little tricky in this busy intersection. Big fan
Frank S — Google review
I get my double seitan sub here literally every day, it's so easy to get a healthy meal exactly how I like it! I wouldn't know what to do without Shortstop, they're a local institution for sure. Just make this place 24/7 again someday!
Em L — Google review
These are some serious sandwiches! We tried hot, cold, and the pizza subs. The photos really don't do justice. Excellent quality! The cheese bread sticks were average, but the marinara was very intense and makes me wish for the recipe. Skip the potato tots. Average quality and, frankly, the sandwiches are more than enough even for a big appetite. Speaking of... these are HUGE. I got the largest size the first time and my husband barely finished his. Asked for the one that was half that size when I went back. So many delicious combinations possible! Worth visiting multiple times.

It’s 24 hours and has 9 cent drinks with a sandwich. Good sub. Service was right in but totally laid back. Enjoyed the meal and good big dill pickle if you’re into that.

Great spot, had a really big breakfast sandwich that was hot, tasty, and reasonably priced. Food was ready fast, will definitely be back for a pizza sub next time. Melissa is super welcoming, definitely hit this place up for a quick and tasty meal.

Circus Truck is a hidden gem located on West Green Street, operating since 2012. The chef is known for creating homemade pasta dishes using local ingredients in a parking lot. Some popular options include penne alla vodka, pasta with roasted poblano walnut cream sauce, and carbonara. Additionally, vegan-friendly and gluten-free choices are often available. Despite the long wait times due to hand-crafting each order, the food is worth it.
This lil punk rock sus looking food truck in the back of some parking lot is exactly what you're looking for... worth a road trip alone. I don't even know entirely what I got, but it was phenomenal. I was driving through the area and the reviews said to get the steak on Wednesdays so thats definitely what I asked for and the owner hooked me up. Probably the only meal I'll need for the next 2 days lol 100% check this place out!
Ninja C — Google review
The man is incredibly kind and generous. I asked him for vegetarian recommendations and he asked me if I wanted lunch or breakfast, and if I liked pasta, and made me a huge serving of two kinds of pasta (extra spicy, just like I asked). All this food for 10 dollars!

Hidden gem in Ithaca. Some of the best food in town and it's out of an old truck (don't be put off - quality of food is #1) Pasta with home-maid sauces, burgers that are hand formed when you order (and are freaking HUGE) and if you're lucky on a Wednesday the best steak sandwich you'll have anywhere. (steak sandwich pictured in a standard "dozen wings" to go box for size reference) Also random breakfast and lunch items (menu item has been "Plate of food". Lots of crazy combos with different meats. Only open from 11-2 M-F - parked in the back of Finger Lakes Beverage. No tables, but people often eat on the boulders that line the parking lot. CASH ONLY

Be sure to make this is a stop, even if you're just passing through. Generous portions and great prices are a bonus but the food itself is, well, amazeballs. 10/10.

Found this in Ithaca today and tried the chef's choice food plate. Pasta was delicious as was the steak sandwich. Also the roll he uses is so good. Loved it all. Highly recommend for a great lunch stop in Ithaca.

Best burger in town. The guy who runs it will make it however you want but leaving it up to him gets the best burger. I also love the vibe of the truck.

Genuinely some of the best food in Ithaca. Super Inexpensive (usually around $7-$15 depending on what you order and cash only) and unique. Be sure to order the specials and don’t be afraid of “freestyle” or “chefs choice”. As a relatively frequent customer, I can say for sure that these have been some of my favorites. JP’s cooking is incredibly unique and the combinations he whips up are amazing. Additionally, the portions he serves are sure to fill you up and may often provide two meals. I just graduated from IC and am leaving Ithaca for good tomorrow and I can say for certain that Circus Truck will be one of my first stops when I come back to visit. Truly a hidden gem of Ithaca.

Bakery

Breakfast restaurant
Established in 1910 and still thriving on Meadow Street, Ithaca Bakery has grown through expansions and renovations to become a beloved fixture in the Ithaca community. From humble beginnings with horse-drawn deliveries to boasting one of the first trucks in Tompkins County, the bakery has adapted to changing times. With multiple retail outlets and a strong wholesale presence, it continues to flourish under Dan Gallagher's leadership.
We enjoyed a delightful lunch at Ithaca Bakery— I highly recommend! Each of us really enjoyed our food. I ordered the Round House breakfast bagel with egg, sausage, bacon, cheese, and hash brown. My other company got sandwiches and really liked them. We also got a triple chocolate cookie and it was delicious too! Wonderful ambiance and friendly staff.

Ithaca Bakery is a beloved local gem, blending decades-long tradition with creative, fresh offerings—from artisan breads and bagel sandwiches to comforting soups and café fare. Its laid-back, indoor/outdoor vibes make it a perfect morning hangout or casual lunch spot. While some menu items lean pricey and lunch hours can get busy, the quality, friendly service, and community-driven spirit keep people coming back. Just double-check your order—and maybe try the cake if you’re feeling adventurous!

There are so many options from bagels to beverages, hot sandwiches to a cold case full of goodies. So many baked goods, and a great selection of oils and hot sauces that would make great gifts. Our food was great, everyone was friendly, and we’ll definitely stop in again when we visit the lakes.

We visited here multiple times over last weekend. Food, coffee, the Mexican bagel, and ended up buying 10 different marmalade flavors to gift to friends. This 100 year old bakery has something to offer to everyone. You can spend a quality time here growing the menu, their merchandise too.

Maxie's Supper Club & Oyster Bar is a lively spot known for its Southern comfort food, live music, and late-night atmosphere. Located in the West End of Missoula, Montana, it attracts a diverse crowd of twenty- and thirtysomethings. The restaurant offers Deep South-style dishes such as jambalaya and fried catfish poboy sandwiches.
First off - great food, drinks and staff! Although I've had several great dinners here over the years, the real hidden gem here is the bar's Happy Hour. Star of the show are the raw oysters / clams for the best price in town. They even have the fresh root for freshly shaven horseradish if you like it and a fantastic cocktail sauce on the side. Don't overlook the chilled / steamed peel-and-eat shrimp - honestly the best I've had without hearing the ocean while I eat them - they come well-dusted in Old Bay - perfect for auto-seasoning while you peel. While you're sitting at the bar, they have a great tap list and I highly recommend the only Hurricane I've found in town. Always friendly bartenders that are fast to shuck and pour! Shrimp, raw oysters with a Hurricane and I get a tropical vacation without leaving town. If you're not in the mood for Happy Hour, their Chicken-Fried-Chicken is great and they're famous for their Jambalaya.

This place came recommended by a friend and it was lovely! The staff was great and the food was delicious! I didn't take a photo, but get the Caesar salad, it was the best I ever had! I also got a ¼ pound of peel and eat shrimp and it was amazing! My husband enjoyed the catfish.

Loved this Southern spot! Ordered a lot of food but loved the gumbo, clams and the fried chicken -- the latter wasn't too oily and was delicious. The raw platter was also super fresh and tasty. Didn't care for the crabcake, but everything else was great. A little pricey but came away very satisfied.

Hands down the best food I had while vacationing in Ithaca. My mushroom meal & the coconut banana crème pie were both incredible. The only downside is we were seated in the back area which was an enclosed patio type room & it was SO HOT. They have a fan running but it didn’t help much; I was sitting there sweating.
Ali — Google review
I finally tried this spot for an early dinner. The food on the menu sounded so good, I was interested in trying it. On this visit, I ordered a hurricane cocktail. It was ok but I think I’ll lean differently next time. I wanted to play up the NoLa vibes, but I’m more of a whiskey girl. At the table, the first thing they give you is a small couple pieces of cornbread with a honey butter. The cornbread is served cold and it’s very dry. The honey butter was nice but it couldn’t save that cornbread. We had some raw oysters and fried green tomatoes as starters. The oysters were delicious and served on the half shell with ice and accompaniments of mignonette, cocktail sauce, and fresh shaved horseradish. The fried green tomatoes were served beautifully golden brown and crispy with a remoulade on the side. They had a nice flavor. While we were initially eyeing classic favorites like shrimp and grits or jambalaya, the evening special of barramundi was impossible to pass up. I’ve never eaten barramundi before, which was a perfect chance for me to try it. A quick phone search told me it’s like an Asian sea bass. I’m very familiar with Chilean sea bass, but not this kind. It was seasoned beautifully with a flavor profile combining herbs and butter in a light flavor letting the fish really shine. It was served on a bed of sautéed spinach, alongside a crispy potato cake (the potato cake is similar in size and shape to a crab cake). The sautéed spinach was delicious and garlicky. The potato cake was excellent, with a crisp outer crunch and an internal texture a little smoother than a hand mashed potato but not quite a purée. I was so glad I tried this dish, it was excellent and very light tasting. The potato made it a filling dish, which meant we didn’t go hungry. A great meal and the first of many!

If you are visiting the Finger Lakes area do not miss this place!!! Truly a gem of a spot that transports you to New Orleans with southern comfort dishes like shrimp and grits, clams, corn bread and a raw bar!! 10/10 experience all around. Our kids loved the beads they had throughout the restaurant too- a hit for us all!
Marisa M — Google review
Highly recommend Maxie's for their oyster happy hour and expertly cooked seafood. The oysters were so fresh and the mignonette and cocktail sauce enhanced the flavor. We also got broiled oysters. The sauce was garlicky and herby and paired well with the grilled bread. For dinner we got the catfish meal and shrimp and grits. Everything was perfectly cooked and had amazing flavor. The shrimp and grits had more of a risotto texture than southern grits(just a note). The sauce was unique and really good. The catfish was seasoned well and the greens had a hint of sweetness from the maple. Would absolutely return!
Rachel M — Google review
The fried tomatoes were really good, they were a little bit on the salty side but the lemon on the side helped. I got the bbq organic tofu po boy, my only complaint was that there was too much on top of the bread to actually be able to close the sandwich and eat it properly. It was very messy and inconvenient. The spicy Cajun fries were tasty, not crunchy but the seasoning was good. The sauce was also a great pairing. We also got the grits and gravy. The grits were cheese grits and gravy was on the side. Very good. The maple braised collard greens were the only thing that didn't pair the best. It was too sweet when the rest of the dish was savory it was almost as if it was meant for a dessert. At one point we were served a piece of cornbread and that was probably on of the best pieces of cornbread ive ever had. Service was also great. Worth coming back to again.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of downtown Ithaca, Le Café Cent-Dix is an elegant dining destination that showcases modern French cuisine with a delightful twist. This charming eatery offers a carefully curated menu featuring five exquisite entrees and a daily special, ensuring each dish is beautifully crafted and presented. Guests can indulge in delectable options like steak frites, mussels, duck breast, and the heavenly onion soup gratinée.
An absolutely incredible dining experience in every aspect. The food, atmosphere, and service all complimented each other beautifully and made for a stunning night. The meal is ordered all at once and coursed out, allowing to be continuously one upped by the last item and be continuously impressed by the dishes. The appetizer dishes blew me away and somehow the food maintained or surpassed the quality at every turn. Service was impeccable and very well informed on all the dishes, exactly what you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. No weak points in this dinner at all. Highly highly recommend coming here if you are looking for an elegant and delicious meal that will blow you away, as long as you’re prepared to pay accordingly, but it will be worth it.

Because of the comments in the reviews, we started the line in front of the door at 5:20 pm on a Sat. By opening time, there were10 people behind us. By 6 pm, the restaurant was full, including seating at the bar. There are only 6 two-tops, 6 seats at the bar and ?5 booths that can seat 6. They do take names and numbers to contact later arrivals when a table opens. Tonight, it was after 7 pm before one did. We absolutely enjoyed our meal with an excellent 2006 Pomerol. There was a large lag before our main arrived, and I forgot to take a picture until we had already dug in. Service was friendly and efficient. The Beef Tartare was prepared classically and was delicious. The côte de boeuf was somewhat tough inn places, but the demi-glace was heavenly and made up for it. It was served on the rare side of med.-rare. I splurged on chocolate cake, and it was worth every calorie! (light and fluffy with excellent cocoa flavor). My husband loves Pedro Ximenez sherry, and deigned to eat it over vanilla ice cream. ;)

I've only been here twice, but this place has definitely become my favorite restaurant. We got the heirloom tomatoes this time and they were the best I've ever had. The French onion soup was exceptional, just like the last time I was here and the scallops were delicious! The only unfortunate thing is that they don't take reservations, but I definitely don't mind waiting outside for a little for this food!

Not sure I quite understand the ‘hype’ around this restaurant. We were advised by our waitress to order 2-3 plates each (hors d’oevre, salad etc) and a main course. By ordering it all at the same time, the kitchen could plan our meal experience accordingly. However we only really wanted a main course each (and dessert) and were told that was fine but if we didn’t order a starter, we would have quite a long wait for our main courses. 45 minutes later our main courses arrived (steak frites). No idea why it needed to take so long. We’d never had steak frites served this way (steak was pre sliced) and the steak was excellent, however the frites were luke warm at best and so crispy you couldn’t eat them with a fork. We mentioned this to the waitress who said ‘that’s how they’re supposed to be served’…..wrong. She did then go back to the kitchen and in due course we received a basket of perfectly cooked, hot frites, just as we were finishing our steak. Clearly the first batch had been regenerated and were not fresh. At $40 dollars a piece I would have expected better quality control from the kitchen. This totally spoilt our experience so we left without ordering dessert.

We visited this French restaurant for an early Valentine's celebration and faced a long 50-minute wait. The warm lighting and decent wine selection set a welcoming atmosphere, earning the decor a 7/10. Service was impressive, with a knowledgeable server, deserving an 8/10. Our meal journey began with entrées: fennel slices at 6/10, beef tartare with a strong capers flavor at 7/10, and an overly salty onion soup gratinée at 6/10. The main courses were a hit or miss, with the monkfish and mashed potato standing out at 8/10, while the duck confit was too salty, scoring a 6/10. The meal concluded with a decent almond cake, rated 6/10. In summary, the ambiance and service were highlights. It's worth another visit.

Fantastic French onion soup. Also ordered the steak for two (daily special) upon recommendation by waiter - disappointing (no flavor and a little tough) the gnocchi was also mid. The celeriac salad was very good. We arrived 20 minutes before opening and just made the first seating.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful Mexican dining experience, look no further than Old Mexico in Ithaca. This vibrant eatery captures the essence of traditional Mexican cuisine with an extensive menu that features beloved classics like al pastor street tacos, chile colorado, and chiles rellenos. Seafood lovers will also find plenty to savor alongside hearty burritos and sizzling fajitas.
Visiting Ithaca and stopped here for dinner. We were seated without any wait on a Saturday night at 9pm. Our group got chicken fajitas, enchiladas, and flautas. All excellent and very fresh. We liked the salsa and the queso as well. Chips were also fresh. Enjoyed the meal and the service was also excellent.

Huge portions and a great atmosphere! I haven’t had much Mexican food before, but I found the carnitas a bit dry and with a strong porky smell compared to what I’ve tried elsewhere. However, the seafood fajitas were quite good.

Consistent quality food and the quantity is more than filling. The parking is ample, the serving staff is not only efficient but very receptive to guests. 3 times we have eaten there every time the pitcher of frozen mango margaritas has been perfectly blended, more importantly, consistently top notch with a distinguishing amount of tequila and not some water downed mango watered down purée other places provide. The food is expertly prepared and expeditiously delivered to your table piping hot. Bravo to the proprietor. It’s rare that a customers experience spread out over 12 months and 3 visits where each time the food has the exact same quality and the frozen mango margaritas are NEVER watered down like other restaurants. Oh and I also forgot to mention that their complementary in house salsa and corn chips are so tasty. Their combo gordo dish is so big it comes out in two full size platter type plates. I get that every time!

We moved here from Texas and couple years ago. We haven't found many restaurants we love and hadn't found any Mexican food we loved, until Old Mexico. My husband got his favorite dish, the carne asada, and had the chilaquiles. Both of our dishes were so, so good! The only thing we both found a little underwhelming was the salsa. We prefer something spicier, but if you like a very mild salsa, it's good. Our server was great, too. He was there when we needed anything, but not overbearing. We'll definitely be back soon!

A quirky neighborhood spot where the regulars all know each other, the breakfasts and burgers are great, and daily homestyle specials range from very good to amazing. Fish fry on Fridays, chili dogs most Thursdays, fresh roast turkey dinners frequently, creative chicken salad, etc. Breakfast is limited for weekday lunch hours; no griddle items. Saturday is breakfast items only. You may have to wait for a table. It’s worth it.

Just left this diner that was recommended to us to try. We are visiting from the Adirondacks and WOW if you have not been here I highly recommend. The whole experience was A+ from the service to the food. They did not stop serving or cooking. The diner was packed as people leave more came in. Had a nice conversation with a couple from here also. We will definitely be back!!!!

Nestled in the heart of Ithaca's West End, The Rook offers a modern setting with exposed brick where guests can indulge in elevated comfort food and craft cocktails. Despite its small menu of 9 main entrees, the restaurant prides itself on delivering top-notch quality dishes. The chefs are dedicated to creating a unique dining experience by infusing classic flavors with fresh twists using high-quality ingredients and time-honored techniques.
We happened upon The Rook one evening in Ithaca and it was such a lovely time! The atmosphere and food are both outstanding. Service was also great. I’d like to return and try more dishes! We all got burgers which doesn’t sound too exciting, but they were the best in my opinion. The fries were fantastic, too. We also ordered a salad and it served 3 of us. Next time I return I hope to try the salmon!

Fried chicken was very fragrant, crispy outside and juicy inside, collards on the bottom eased dryness, plus not too salty as common collard though. Pork schnitzel was a good dish to try as well. Easy to eat compare to fried chicken thigh. Mushroom was very munchies. Servers were very attentive and nice. Would love to come back here again
Piboon ( — Google review
I give this restaurant overall 3 stars due to the lackluster food. The fried chicken was highly recommended by the waiter and is supposedly the most popular dish. He explained that it was sous vide and then deep fried. I expected the dish to be very tender and bursting with flavor, but to be honest the chicken was dry and the batter was pretty bland. I have had better fried chicken from Popeyes, and it doesn't cost $24 for just a drumstick and breast. The chicken is rubbed with a rosemary spread, breaded in a batter that is very very lightly seasoned and is very floury, and of course fried. I would have liked if they served the thigh instead of the breast meat, and I think it could have been improved with a gravy or hot sauce on the side. The collard greens were tender but didn't have the vinegary bite that they should have. The fries were fine and cooked well. Lastly, the pork milanese was actually tasty. I thought they did a good job cooking it; it was crispy and not dry, and the anchovy was a nice touch. The restaurant had great service, and I liked that I was seated right away. They also have an extensive wine list and seasonal cocktails, if that's your thing.

A solid place to eat. The menu is creative and solid. Great burger. Great fried chicken. Cocktail menu is especially creative.
Heath R — Google review
Love their new location. Much more room and open feel. The best fried chicken in town and honestly some of the best I've had anywhere. SO loves the Salmon and I've had many say it's the best in the area. Only thing I've had a few times and not liked is the burger. They have an odd sauce and seasoning I just don't like, but the quality is there. Just a short walk from the Commons and totally worth the stop.
Benjamin — Google review
Stopped in for dinner and tried the grilled dates and the cheeseburger both were outstanding. The bacon-wrapped dates hit that perfect balance of sweet, smoky, and creamy with the goat cheese, and the burger was one of the best I’ve had in a while juicy, flavorful, and cooked exactly right. The duck fat fries on the side sealed the deal. The vibe is cozy but elevated, and you can tell every detail — from the menu to the plating — is handled with care. Great service, great drinks, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger a bit longer.

The Rook Never Disappoints Come to The Rook to experience a chill vibe, lovely atmosphere, and friendly, engaging service. Picture: 5-star food, wine, and service that is welcoming, not intimidating. The menu is unique, inventive, creative, and accommodating to a range of food preferences. Their attention to detail goes beyond the food and wine. It seeps into how they connect with their customers, remembering anniversaries, birthdays, and intimate details about their tribe of devoted fans. Save room for dessert, because they are divine. Explore the aperitifs and digestifs; they know exactly how to pair them with your meal. The Rook never fails. The food is 💯 consistent, the service is always a joy, and you are guaranteed to have a good time. Update: They are now serving cocktails and spirits.

Sensational every time we go!! My husband and I are originally from Los Angeles and discovered this precious gem years ago before they moved to their expanded, current location. The vibe is warm welcomes with eclectic decor. Their menu rotates, it seems seasonally, which is a pleasant surprise to our palates every single time. Gentry and his staff truly pay attention not only to the details when it comes to the dishes but also meticulous with their cocktails. Also, a special shout out to the wonderful bartender, Manny! Pizza Aroma is a cozy pizzeria located in the heart of Ithaca, offering a diverse selection of creatively topped pizzas, calzones, and even vegan options. Despite not being as well-known as other pizza spots in the area, Pizza Aroma stands out with its divine Mediterranean pizza featuring feta cheese, basil, and olives, as well as the tempting Buffalo Chicken Wing pizza with a hint of blue cheese.
I have tasted many pizzas in my life, but none of them can compare to the one I had at Pizza Aroma. It was a thin crust pizza with feta cheese, black beans and diced tomato. It was cooked to perfection! The crust was crispy and thin and every bite was an explosion of flavor and texture. I couldn't get enough of it. It was the most delicious pizza I've ever had, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves pizza. Pizza so good, it'll wreck your diet 😋

Fantastic selection of slices, warmed in a few minutes, for a reasonable price! The place is full of vibrant plants and it's sunny and inviting. 10/10 would eat again. PS, pupusas are amazing

Amazing I had a slice of pizza two pupusas and their new Horchata. Ive heard a lot of good things and they sure lived up to it. A couple who worked for an Italian food spot for 12 years run this. While adding small authentic SALVADORIAN cuisine to the mix. Amazing. Im originall from Los Angeles california, so let me tell you ive had my share of latin food. these pupusas are so good. 10/10 would eat here regulary. Para mis latinos la horchata es hecho en casa muy amables ✨️✊🏾

What a great place to eat! I go to Pizza Aroma especially for their pupusas. I have been traveling to El Salvador every year since 2011 to visit our sister community. When I eat Pizza Aroma's pupusas, I feel like I am right back in El Salvador at my favorite pupuseria!

No one greeted me when I came in, then when they finally addressed me, it was to ask what I wanted. Atmosphere was weird and not welcoming. Food is way over priced. I apologize if there was a language/culture barrier, but would have loved to witness them interact with another patron to see if the experience I had was personal.

Thompson and Bleecker recently relocated to the historic Barr Building on East Seneca Street, marking a new chapter for the restaurant. The owners, George Papachryssanthou and his wife Milly, saw an opportunity to expand their business when the building went up for sale. Known for its gourmet wood-fired pizzas, Thompson and Bleecker is among Ithaca's diverse pizza scene that includes late-night staples, franchise options, and classic pizzerias.
Our experience here was nothing short of amazing. The food is incredibly fresh and full of flavor, the service from Jess was spectacular and the dining experience overall was exquisite. If you’re visiting Ithaca or just driving through, I cannot recommend stopping by here enough; you will not be disappointed! We had drinks here as well and they have an amazing bartender! You can’t go wrong here. Thank you for the experience!

Family trip to Finger Lakes, stopped by for dinner. The reviews did not lie!! The ambience and vibes were immaculate. More importantly, the food!!! The pasta dishes, specifically, spicy vodka were 11/10. If you’re in the area, this is a must try!!

What a fabulous spot. We saw a line the night before and asked about restaurant. Everything is homemade deliciously fresh Italian food. The pizza was one of the best. We started with honey ricotta which was perfect. We had to stuff ourselves with the homemade dessert, so hard to choose, but we picked the mouth watering baklava. So fresh and worth the calories. Name is hard to see from outside. Look for the long line of patrons.

Artisan pizza. The shop w a s a little diffficult to locate at night. Their fresh mozzarella dip with bread was delicious.
Heather A — Google review
The food was exceptional. The service was as rude as I have ever experienced. The grumpy, higher-than-thou, Portland hipster vibe is going by the wayside, as millennials look again to be treated not like they are "lucky" to be dining at the establishment. The entire evening here was peppered with a negative energy; from the bartender that looks as though she hadn't put a smile on her face in an year, to the inability of them to split a check (LOL!), to the hysterical experience of the hostess not letting another one of our party join the table after we had already ordered our meals. HA! It was such an obnoxious experience across the board, that it's become a funny story to tell pretty much everyone we've come in contact with. If to put a bow on this, most peoples response is: "Oh, yeah, I went there when it was on the Mall and it was amazing. But since they moved to the bigger spot, the experience has really gone downhill. I wouldn't go back again." Only saving grace is that the food is on point. Very on point. But who wants to eat at a restaurant where you are constantly worried you might be doing something to upset the staff lol???

Best restaurant in Ithaca; very solid food. Pasta was very al dente and delicious. Pizza had a great crust - the honey sausage was especially delicious. Highly recommend
Sophia C — Google review
Wow. Stunningly good Italian restaurant in the lovely Ithaca Commons. The vodka penne was soft as a feather, tasty with just a bit of a kick, with fresh parm on top. I will crave that until we’re back in two months. The margherita pizza was just as good - soft crust, wood-fired, with EVOO, oregano, basil and mozzarella in a great red sauce. The pasta dishes are served family style. We had three hungry people and had an appetizer, one pasta and the pizza - and had plenty for leftovers. Excellent customer service from front to back. Nice wine selection, too - a Tempranillo was the perfect complement. Highly recommend. Updating 8/24 that they have a new location but the food still delivers. The pasta, pizza - and the bread bites and whipped ricotta appetizer- were outstanding. The new place is bigger and brighter, so they can get more people inside though it isn’t as cozy … but it’s a great spot with a pay parking lot next door. One thing - if you sit at the bar, be careful. The bar stools tip over at least once a night… .

Maru Ramen is like a dream for Ramen lovers and Naruto fans! The walls are lined with new vibrant artwork from the popular anime: Naruto, connected with their amazing food. The Shoyu and Tantanmen had such rich and flavorful broths paired so well with the toppings and noodles!! The Katsudon and Tempura-don also melts in your mouth. The spicy bulgogi was everything and above! The tender meat with the savory bulgogi sauce was delicious. Everything was great whether your here for the anime or just incredible ramen , Maru Ramen delivers.

Tonkatsu was decent, soup is not hot enough. They have pho but difference from ramen is the noodle. Lots of Naruto drawings… pretty cool.

If you’re in Ithaca and haven’t been to Maru Ramen, honestly… what are you doing?! I’ve been going since they first opened and it seems to be getting better each year! The ramen(my personal favorite) has broth that is always rich and flavorful without being overly salty, and the noodles are perfectly chewy. I've tried plenty of other items on their menu (like the purple rice roll pic) and everything is delicious. I also love the casual, relaxed vibe of the space, and the service is always friendly and quick. Overall, Maru Ramen really nails it on flavor, service, and consistency. Definitely worth checking out!
C J — Google review
Maru Ramen is a fusion Asian spot that blends Japanese and Vietnamese flavors. The vibe is nice, but for the price, I expected a bit more in terms of quality — though to be fair, the portions are solid. I tried the Tonkotsu Ramen, Shrimp Tempura Ramen, and the Shrimp Tempura Crab Roll. The flavors were okay, but the chashu was overcooked, which definitely took away from the experience. Service was fine — nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. Overall, not a bad place if you’re in the area and craving ramen.
Michael C — Google review
Was craving ramen on our trip and i had my hopes up due to the high reviews. The first warning was there when i opened the menu though with you seeing ramen, korean dish, pho, and bunch of other things listed. Generally when they try to do too much it means they dont have main dish they are really digging into. Good ramen spots would focus on just ramen and simple apps like gyoza. I orderd a tonkatsu ramen which is a staple. The broth was disappointing and didnt have the depth. It was overly salty and i think they were trying to make up for the lack of deep aged broth with condiments. Chashu porks were overly dry and the egg was overcooked. I ended up leaving aboug half the ramen. Hall was bit dirty and the one server seemed very overextended. I don't mean to be too harsh though, seemed popular enough with a lot of customers. The price was very cheap and budget friendly as well. Maybe i have been spoiled by Ichiran and other ramen spots in nyc.

My husband & I ate here at the recommendation of a coworker. We had the Ramen with chicken, Spicy Seafood Ramen, Tempura shrimp, and Crab & Shrimp Sushi. The food was excellent. Just be aware Spicy means Spicy! You might want to go with lightly spiced your first time. They serve generous portions of fresh, delicious food. The waiter was very attentive. He noticed that I am "Chopstick Challenged" and brought me a fork. I didn't have to ask. When our water was getting low, he brought more without us asking. Small restaurant, but comfortable. Bring coins to put in the parking meters. We will definitely go back again. I told my friend about it. They tried it and loved it, too.

The Spicy Seafood Ramen was on point! Love the Artwork, Fast Service!
Aaron L — Google review
Disappointing experience. Based on the photos and reviews I expect a bustling, modern restaurant with simple, yet tasty food. It was quite busy as we walked in for dinner, the waiter pointed us to a dirty table, we didn't feel welcome. After we studied the menu and started ordering, I was told that they don't serve sushi, "because it would take too long". Since I was willing to wait for good food, I asked how long it would take, only to be told they are not making any. The ramen, chicken and dumpling we got were mediocre at best. The waiter smacked our food on the table and never came back, nobody offered us a water refill, it didn't seem the staff cared.

Franco's Pizzeria, a branch of Trumansburg's New York Pizzeria, has gained a solid reputation for its delicious slices and fresh pies. Decent prices, very nice guy who runs it. Authentic guy for authentic pizza. Some of the best pizza I have had since moving to Ithaca. I wish I had tried it sooner. I heard it's as close to some NYC style pizza as you can get. Update on my second visit they did accidentally put banana peppers on my pizza instead of bell peppers, but an easy enough mistake.

Great pizza. Just as good as in NYC. Thin and crunchy bottom. Nice large space. Just don't take it to the brewery next door (they won't let you in with the pizza). Selection of drinks could be more extensive, but it is adequate. Just don't come too close to closing time or you will won't have much of a choice in toppings for pizza-by-the-slice.

We found Franco during our vacation at Ithaca. Really good and fresh food, friendly service and chill place. Al Pastor with a Kick! 🌮🔥 If you’re in Ithaca and craving authentic, no-frills Mexican flavors, this hidden gem is a must-visit. Stepping inside, you’re greeted with the sizzling sound of fresh tacos being made, the rich aroma of grilled meats, and a cozy, vibrant space that oozes personality. I had the Taco Al Pastor, a perfect balance of smoky, juicy pork, charred just right, topped with sweet pineapple chunks that added a refreshing contrast to the meat’s depth. But the game-changer? Their house-made hot sauce—a fiery, bold kick that tied everything together. One bite in, and it was an explosion of flavors, the spice lingering just enough to make you crave another bite. 🌶️🔥 Beyond the food, the spot itself is a vibe—colorful walls adorned with traditional artwork, a massive mural watching over your meal, and little details that make the space feel both homey and full of culture. It’s the kind of place where food is made with love, and you can taste it in every bite. Silo Food Truck in Ithaca is a popular spot for locals seeking meals made from locally sourced ingredients. The truck offers its signature fried chicken, mac and cheese, and sides like vegan green coconut curry. Owned by Katie Foley and chef Jesse Steve, Silo has won several awards throughout the state and is known for its unique fusion twist on classic comfort food.
So glad you’re back after January break. I needed my Silo Chickie fix. It was wonderful as usual and very fast. Love the rice. The new booth seats at Liquid State are nice and comfortable too.

We had Silo food truck at our wedding and all of our guests raved about the food! Seriously, it was delicious. And the folks on the truck were super friendly! 10/10 would absolutely recommend.

We’ve been eating at Silo for several years now and can honestly say they have the best fried chicken, Mac and cheese and French fries in the region. My son, who’s a vegetarian, also loves eating at Silo because they make an excellent tofu sandwich and have lots of great vegetarian/vegan options. Try the green curry sauce!

Fried chicken (or tofu) with a twist. Several different unique sauces, served with fresh-cut fries, Mac n cheese, or purple sticky rice. You can order at the truck outside or with a QR code at your table in the brewery. If you're inside they'll bring your food right to the table.

Silo is where it’s at! They have something for everyone, and it’s all delicious. Although they’re known for their fried chicken and mac and cheese, the tofu sandwich with the creamy slaw is my go-to order. Plus, they have the best fries in the county! Fresh-cut, crispy, and perfectly salted with many topping and sauce options. I recommend the disco fries.

Great food! Great Beer! Ordered the hot knuckle sandwich (with extra hot!) and mini Mac from inside Liquid State Brewery. It came fast right to the table and it was DELICIOUS! The Extra HOTT sauce was super tasty, and the sandwich was excellent- great bun, crispy moist flavorful chicken, pickles, sauce- all wonderful. And the truck fries? Perfect! The mini mac n cheese was a great side-mild and cheesy. We love the beer at Liquid State and now we love the food-from Silo!
M B — Google review
Silo has two locations, at the Liquid State Brewery in Ithaca, NY and on Thursday's June through October at The Pumpkin Stand in Ovid, NY. I have yet to stop by these locations and though I am 100% sure that the quality, flavors and service are still top notch my review is solely based on their very busy food truck. I have visited this food truck at many local events. Their chicken is sustainably farmed, all-natural, and free-range. All of the ingredients they use are from local, organic farmers. All of their chicken is bone-in dark meat. Each bite is moist and flavorful. My favorites are the Green Coconut Curry which is a 1/2 lb. of fried chicken with green curry over purple coconut sticky rice, greens & house-made Asian Trio pickles. The Telekinetic Chicken has a seasonal fusion BBQ sauce on the fried chicken along with the sticky rice and pickles. Both are flavor popping perfection. The sides are also created fresh and are delicious. Silo also makes a mac & cheese that is to die for. They make their own bechamel sauce as well as use NY extra sharp cheddar cheese. They have many variations of their Mac and cheese to try. The owners are amazing, always interacting with their customers, and showing them how much they enjoy what they do. This in turns makes their food more beautiful and delicious. I highly recommend checking them out.

Really wanted to like this place since I’m from the South and they claimed to do southern style chicken. First time I went it was disappointing so decided to go again thinking maybe they had an off day and that trip was worse. The chicken itself is fine but it’s two small pieces of thigh on the sandwiches. The “field greens” is just spinach. The bun on one sandwich was so hard it wasn’t edible. Both times we went the fries came out lukewarm. The truck gravy and mac and cheese were both pretty good though. If this place was in the South they’d be run out of town with those $15 sandwiches.

This is my third time coming here, but honestly — only because the fried chicken is really good. Unfortunately, the service continues to be the worst in town. We asked to add a seat for a friend who arrived just 5 minutes late, and even though the restaurant was completely empty, they refused. The staff was unwelcoming, inflexible, and created a tense atmosphere for something so simple. On top of that, the iced tea was basically half a cup of ice with barely any tea. Disappointing service yet again.

Went for lunch. Terrible food, slow service, and not worth your money or time - go somewhere else! First time going to this particular restaurant. Went on a personal recommendation, but did NOT have a good experience. Went for lunch, and when we arrived, we seated ourselves, and the waitperson did not come to take our order in a timely manner. Others arrived after we did, and he stopped at their tables and took their orders first. There weren't many diners there (and now I know why). When he finally did take our order, he did not seem like he wanted to be at work, let alone serve anyone. The items on the menu are not adequately described, and what you are brought vs. what you think you will be getting is a large difference. When someone questioned this, he made an excuse that they changed things up. However, the menu should be more accurate, or...if changes are made, when someone orders an item, the waitstaff should inform diners that the menu item is no longer available as described. (We received an official "eye roll" on this observation, from the waiter.) The food was substandard for the price, and really, if I could give this place a negative rating, I would. But a "1" out of 5 will have to suffice. The food was bland, the chicken patty seemed undercooked, and if you are not experienced with chopsticks, you may or may not get a fork if you ask for one. Initially you just get a spoon, chopsticks, and a napkin. I will never go back there, and I would suggest to others to steer clear as well. In their defense, perhaps dinner is an entirely different staff and experience, but I can say without reservation that our lunch was decidedly disappointing.

Had an excellent bibimbap. Kind of eerie experience to go inside but it not be Viva Taqueria, a ithaca staple for many years. The interior design which was the same as Viva. Anyhow the food was excellent as well as decent service. Would go back to try the fried chicken.

Amazing service and such delicious food! The tapas menus are perfect for trying out new Korean dishes. I’d say it’s such a fun way to explore different flavors! The owner is always nice to everyone even though it was so busy

We went there for dinner. We took mandu ( It wasn't the best mandu I've ever tried but it was tasty), honey garlic boneless chicken ( it was delicious because it has not have thick layer), udon with chicken ( udon was delicious but chicken was not delicious), bibimbap ( it was really delicious)

The cold noodle soup on a hot summer evening (with a beer) was perfect. The broth was flavorful and the salmon appetizer was yummy.

Gola Osteria Restaurant & Catering, located in the Quarry Arms building, offers a fresh take on traditional Italian dishes. The restaurant is known for its seasonal menus featuring locally sourced ingredients, housemade pasta with flavorful sauces, and creative main courses. In addition to an expansive menu, Gola Osteria boasts a full bar serving inventive cocktails and a carefully curated wine list that includes selections from Italy and Finger Lakes wineries.
Excellent experience. The grilled swordfish was firm yet buttery and flaky, perfectly charred. Definitely the highlight of the meal. It looks small in the picture, but it was quite thick and and more than a sufficient portion.
Micah R — Google review
First visit. Two of six dishes were way too salty. Swordfish excellent. The other three dishes merely okay. Homemade pasta side was excellent. They offer GF pasta but admit that is just from a box. Wine list reasonably priced compared to the food. But. First bottle ordered was a 2020 Riesling and they brought the 2024 version with excuses that the.wine list needs updating. Yep. Second bottle choice we tried a 2023 Riesling... same story - another 2024! Third bottle was ordered as a repeat of the second Riesling and they actually brought a Chardonnay! Parking lot full. No coat check and everyone hanging their coats on the backs of the peculiarly high-backed chairs cast a weird, scruffy effect on things. Floor under my seat was sticky with something (maybe spilled 2020 Riesling!). Waiter was an energetic charmer but, otherwise, either Gola has gone downhill from early reports or they were always coasting on the inevitable Ithaca snob factor - which does not age well.

I eat at the best restaurants around the world. The steak tasted cheap. It was cold. It was rare not medium rare too. The drinks came out bitter everytime. I know my Mojitos and sangrias. My friends drinks were also bitter too. I never write reviews unless I’m very disappointed in the food. The meatballs were amazing and the bread with the olive oil was amazing. Everything else tasted cheap and very overpriced. I love spending money on great food but this was so overpriced for the quality. Tasted like McDonald’s meat. I paid 50 dollars for this meal with the picture below. Cold rare steak with cheap lettuce and the cheese. Also the presentation was horrible. My fiends chicken looked like a chicken you would get from Walmart with burnt tasted vegetables.

Getting in was interesting as we had to navigate a university building but it was kind of fun, reminded me of college. The restaurant is comfortable and feels a little bit like a speakeasy. Lighting is nice and warm, it's not too loud at all and is on the quieter side. Service was quick, friendly, and very helpful. We had a lot of fun chatting with our server. The food was EXCELLENT and actually authentic (we've traveled to Italy several times now). The cacio e pepe is very very good. The dessert was amazing as well and very unique. It's rare to find unique desserts at an Italian restaurant in the US so this was a treat. Overall a great experience. The specials are good too!

Hard to find even with an address. Very small sign at ground level. Food was very good, but service was slow due to computer issues. Seemed to only impact our table, as several tables sat after us received appetizers, entrees, dessert, and their check before we were even served entrees. 2 1/2 hours from sitting down to leaving was a bit long.
Brian H — Google review
We sat for nearly half an hr and were never acknowledged by wait staff. Not even for a drink order. Tables that sat down after us got served though. So, we got up an left. The only people who looked like they did any work there were the bussers (thanks for the water refills!), and the hostess. Unfortunately I think this restaurant skirts criticism and benefits from Ithaca's unfortunately slim pickins restaurant scene... because this shoddy service and rough around the edges, water stained drop ceiling, sticky table, dated faux-craftsman aesthetic wouldn't fly elsewhere-- especially with $40+ entrés.

This review is specifically for the catering team, not the restaurant itself. The food was good, but an event is the sum of its parts. We asked for labbatt blue 3 times, very early on. This beer is the only one my family drinks, and was a very important beer to have at this event. It’s a pretty easy beer to source in upstate New York. They didn’t have it for our day - and when asked why, the catering lead (who we had been working with directly, the whole time) told us that since it was a late addition, they weren’t able to source it. This was something that we had asked for at our tasting, as it was something extremely important to my family. And this was the level of attention to detail that we received in every aspect. Our invoice was incorrect every time we received it. We were double charged for things that were supposed to be included, such as a side in our package. We expressly stated which cookies we wanted, which was also included, and received the wrong ones. They brought cookies with nuts, unlabeled, and we had guests with nut allergies. We requested iced tea and lemonade, and received neither. I don’t drink, and this was important for me to have at my wedding. We couldn’t get a PDF of the menu or bar prices from the catering lead for a long time. Communication throughout the whole planing phase was like pulling teeth. The team had two additional weddings to ours that day. This of course would have been fine for a well organized team who had everything in order. They, unfortunately, were neither. We requested two bartenders, so that our bar lines weren’t outrageous after the ceremony, when everyone goes to the bar. We requested pre poured wines. Or at least someone to go down the line to get canned beers. Neither of those things were executed. They had run out of ice (before the event started) and sent one of the bartenders to get more. This resulted in very long lines for our guests, which we were trying to avoid by requesting two bartenders. This was a very important day for us, and my whole family didn’t have the beer that they drink, I didn’t have my favorite beverages, and tea service at the end was completely forgotten. I had to expressly ask for something that we purchased. And when the water came out, it was cold. The venue owner went and made me tea from her home, because she noticed that I was sick and also don’t drink coffee. The owner reached out and offered us a refund for the services we didn’t receive, but this doesn’t change our day. I don’t want this is happen to anyone else on a day that it planned with such care as your wedding day.
Caprice L — Google review
I’ll say this…the food is very good. Being that I share my life with a person raised by Italian immigrants, I feel he knows good authentic Italian cuisine…so I’m comfortable saying the food is good. I have been a few times, pictures display clams and linguine, and oxtail bolognese. With that being said, its best to manage your expectations when it comes to service. The staff are pretentious and feel they are part of some exclusive and elite club. Some servers are better than others…but still lack the demeanor required to do the job with professional elegance, most likely because they’re burnt out. In the summer, sometimes the AC doesn’t work. Parking can be difficult. Nevertheless still worth all that for the food, if you can appreciate proper Italian cuisine…which means al dente pasta. Ciao.

Thai restaurant
Taste of Thai is a bustling restaurant located in The Commons, a popular pedestrian walkway in downtown Ithaca. The eatery offers a variety of noodle dishes, spring rolls, and lunch specials amidst Thai sculptures and art. Co-owned by Sadudee Pancharoen ('April'), the restaurant was opened to access different traffic patterns and offer recipes from all over Asia in addition to popular Thai cuisine.
The flavors are truly authentic — perfectly balanced, not overly salty, and just the right level of sweetness. I highly recommend their Pad Thai!!! The staff here are excellent — very friendly and helpful, always ready to offer recommendations if you’re unsure what to order. Prices are reasonable too, making it a great value for such quality.
Thanicha K — Google review
It may appear that the place is closed, but the main lights seem to be out. Staff was very hospitable and knew well about the food items on the menu. Most of the food was delicious. Tum Yum was too sour, so I would be cautious. Thai Spicy Noodles were quite tasty. Thus, recommend. Spicy Rad Nah was nice & different (slimy). Ordered 4/5 spicy and was okayish hot. We eat Indian level hot food, so even 5/5 wouldn't be hot for us. Regular eaters could go up to 3 or 4. The only complaint is the kids' music blasting from the kitchen entrance. It was very irritating as it was getting mixed with the music played throughout the restaurant. Couldn't enjoy the good vibe.
Siddhesh — Google review
One of the Thai restaurant that is open 365 days a year was something very different when the waiter told us so. We waited for some time to get seated as the restaurant was quite busy and eventually service was little late. We ordered few curries and rice - everything we tasted was good except the massaman curry which was very unusual in taste than the ones we have had. We have had much much better massaman curry in other restaurants. The pineapple fried rice was also a little let down as it was too sweet and soggy more like Indian Kashmiri Pulao. The Spring rolls, Fried Tofu , green curry, yellow curry , spicy fried rice we’re all really good.
Srividhya M — Google review
I visited Taste of Thai in Ithaca when my son started college. It’s a well-known spot in town, so I had high expectations — but honestly, the food was just average while the prices were quite high. The portion size was okay, but the flavors lacked depth and balance compared to other Thai restaurants I’ve tried. The atmosphere was pleasant, but overall, it didn’t feel worth the price. 👉 Pros: Nice location and ambiance 🌿 👉 Cons: Overpriced and underwhelming flavors 💸
Chanil J — Google review
Such a cute set up with the lighting and the decor. It felt like we were eating somewhere so fancy, with great prices. The customer service was great, the staff very positive and checking in to make sure all is good and they are very helpful. The pad Thai was what me and my 5 year old daughter got, it was her first time trying Thai food and we both absolutely loved it!

On our little stop over at Ithaca we had our dinner here. This restaurant serves amazing Thai food. Can’t comment how authentic it is but the food tasted as authentic and flavorful Thai as it could to us. We order yellow curry, spicey fried rice, spicey rad na. All of them were amazing I recommend this restaurant

We are a party of 5 went to this restaurant by looking at the closing time of 10 pm in Google and arrived there at 8.30 PM. Firstly, the servers are very rude stating that the restaurant is closed around 9.30 pm and pushing us to eat fast and go out before 9.35 PM. The server took my 4 year olds plate while she was eating and she wasn’t done yet. He didn’t ask also whether he can pick her plate. Secondly, they added 18% gratuity for a party of 5 without letting us know and it should have added only if the party is 6 or more as stated in their menu. I added the screenshot below that they added it’s a party of 6. CHEATING!! I told the cashier what she did is WRONG and her response was “we do this even for a party of 4 or more” which is not correct and not acceptable. These people don’t have any integrity in their business. I strongly recommend to avoid this restaurant at any cost especially people who believes in integrity.

Absolutely outstanding experience every time we go! The food is AMAZING! 😋 At our most recent visit, we quickly mentioned it was my mom’s birthday celebration in conversation w/one of the servers, & next thing we knew - the lights went completely out (we thought it was a power outage), & the entire restaurant was singing “🎶 Happy Birthday! 🎶 “ in a candle-lit dining room. It was nothing short of an absolutely outstanding experience.

Best burgers in town at a fair price. Toppings are good and the meat is well rested. They have a changing selection but if you like halal cart style lamb, I really recommend the lamb burger if it's available.

A decent option if you'd like to stay close to the hotel. I used the coupon provided to me for a free drink and extra hotel points. Good incentive! It's a very small hole in the wall. Small but good menu. I got the Shepard pie and a guiness. Yes they pour it correctly ✔️. The shepards pie had some spice which i really really appreciated!!! ❤️ However I will say the service was absolutely awful. There's only one waitress for the entire restaurant and she's working as hard as she can. Please hire some help 🙏 the bartender had to bring me my drink and the chef had to bring me my food. Cmon...🤷
Angelo L — Google review
In this episode of "Rate your experience," we dive into the ever-popular Kilpatrick's Publick House. Let us begin. This particular dining experience went solo. It was a dismal Friday evening. The weather was challenging for those looking to walk The Commons for a nice stroll as the sunset. Rain, miserable rain forced one to find cover. I quickly stepped off the TCAT bus and with alacritous steps, beelined to my destination. The restaurant was less-than-expected regarding the volume of patrons. Staff was moving about, working frantically for what one would assume a busy night. The floor manager was directing staff, the barkeeps were cleaning glassware and everyone was jovial in their day-to-day activities. I decided to pull up a stool at the warm/inviting patina copper bar. A few patrons were enjoying an after-work beverage. The barkeep was either 'that friendly' or the patrons were 'regulars'. Nonetheless, a great atmosphere from the start. Today's meal consisted of my GO-TO; Black & Blue Salad and a new menu option -- the "Inferno Wings". We'll talk about those in a moment. If you want a steak but not all the sides that go with it, this is your best bet. The salad is an amazing pile of mixed greens (and I mean GREEN) with the yummiest of blue cheese and bacon. The star of the show and most certainly not outshined is the steak. I've NEVER gotten a bad steak from Kilpatrick's in the double-hand times I've dined at this location. Who says the Irish can't cook a damn good steak?! This salad is a meal in and of itself! Plenty for one-person and sharable without a doubt. Now - let's finally get to why a star is missing from this, what seems to be an epic night of wonderful dining, an excellent venue, and undoubtedly top-notch staff on hand. When I think of the term, "Inferno Wings" I'm excited. Others will be put off due to the presumable heat one associates with the word. The wonderful barkeep brought my salad and my wings and I was so excited to give the wings a shot. I let them sit for a bit, to cool the oven heat, so I could focus on the spicy heat, enjoying a few bites of my wonderful salad. My first bite into them little chicken wings was a quick and instantaneous, shucks! I liken it to the sound of losing on the Price is Right. These wings were wrong. Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! The term inferno as a quick Google search is "a large fire dangerously out of control". Sure, the term heightens my desire to delve into - ONE. SPICY. WING. Nope, not a chance. Unfortunately, these were worse than Tom Hanks acting in the movie with the same name. I've had Totino's on a 3 am Sunday-morning burn my mouth more than these wings. The barkeep was kind and the mentioning of "chef's challenge" will certainly be had in due time. I will give these amazingly talented chefs the chance to prepare the aforementioned in all its glory of being the INFERNO WINGS one expects. Until then, the search for a hot wing continues.

We've gone here each time we've visited Ithaca. The food is always very good and the wait staff are always friendly. Great food, reasonable prices. Perfect potions, enough that you aren't still hungry, but not too much that you can't finish. We'll continue to have a meal here every time we are in the area. There is a smaller menu since our last visit.

My picky eater girlfriend loved her three sides and red wine. We got the garden salad which was fresh! Perfection!

We ended up here on the 4th, after other places were closed, or didn't have room. The Boom-Boom Shrimp was the best dish we had, with a creamy spicy chili sauce that was very tasty. The Farm salad was huge, but the chicken on top was super dry (overcooked). The chicken was also very dry on my Pesto Pesto Flatbread. The Reds Mojito didn't taste like one, but it was still an enjoyable drink. In contrast to others who have posted here, we got our food within 10 minutes of ordering!

I would like to give this place a fair review since I have had good experiences dining here in the past. It’s clear the management needs improvement. Our table was sat right away (table of 5 indoors) we received our drinks in a timely manner. One of my friends received a small fly in her “ginger I hardly know her”. Wasn’t a big deal to us and we brushed it off. After ordering our appetizers and meals it took about an hour or so for our food to arrive. Some meals came out cold and others came out burnt. My meal came out fine, although the burger was overcooked. Our server had a cold demeanor from the start of our experience and did not check in on us until after we were ready to pay and leave. I have no problem paying extra for good service and quality food but we were charged a gratuity fee. Their menu says they only charge for parties of 6 or more. I wanted to enjoy a meal with friends I haven’t seen for a while, but instead we were all left with a bad taste in our mouths. I hope management can improve and go back to the place I know and enjoy.

Added to my original review below We stopped in tonight to give it another chance. Service was better than before but it wasn’t busy. Hopefully the other night was just a fluke. Everyone does deserve a pass for one bad night. Food was good until we hit dessert which was burned and only about half of it was even edible. I don’t know why it was even served. Hopefully you do better for others but two tries is enough for us. We won’t be back. Original review We’ve been to Reds in the past and loved it. I never write reviews but this was the worst service we have ever had. In an hour and a half of sitting at our table the only thing we were able to get was water and not even a refill on that once we drank it. No drinks, no appetizers, no food. Waiter came to the table twice. Once to drop off water then to take our order that never came. We gave up after an hour and a half and let the hostess know that our waiter never came back and we never received anything but water. She was nice but didn’t know what to do about it so we left.

Server was less than friendly, they had no help. Took forever to be served and then the food took even longer. When it arrived it was almost inedible. They added automatic 20% gratuity because we had our 5 kids with us. The waitress did take some items off after seeing how bad the food looked but our bill was still very pricey for bad service and awful food.

Had late lunch here and was very happy we chose it on the first day of our mini vacation. Food is incredible and the mustard on the Cuban is chef's kiss. The house made pickles are large and thin with a spectacular flavor. I really wish they did flights on the beer as the selection was pretty good, but they allowed a few samples which helped us decide so that's good. Anyhow if on the fence for a place to go, pick here.

The food was good (I got waffle sticks). It’s an interesting concept to order at the counter and then wait for the food. This beautiful spot was nothing less than an absolute delight to visit. There are a few aspects of life that make it as rich and beautiful and glorious as it can be in its little joys, and I’d have to say a waffle café is really high up there on that list. There are a myriad of options, graciously including gluten free options, and framed quotes of Leslie Knope, if my memory informs me correctly, all of which must tell you that this glorious establishment is worth a visit. This place is an excellent spot for a quick bite of a sandwich and a generous scoop of ice cream. I visited here to celebrate my son’s graduation from Cornell, and he raved about it. The place is well-maintained, clean, and the service is top-notch. The dairy department at Cornell offers great courses and provides consulting services to many big companies, helping them launch successful dairy products. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cornell Dairy Bar – Cornell University, Ithaca, NY A must-visit spot inside Cornell University’s campus. This place beautifully combines quality, tradition, and flavor in every detail. It’s perfect for enjoying a handcrafted ice cream or a fresh sandwich in a spotless, cheerful setting with truly outstanding service. Visiting Ithaca without stopping by the Cornell Dairy Bar would feel like leaving something unfinished. This is our second visit to the university, and once again we were impressed by the excellence of their products. Every ice cream flavor is authentic, creamy, and perfectly balanced, each with its own unique touch that reflects the passion and expertise behind it. You can taste the quality in every bite — fresh ingredients, original combinations, and a level of care that speaks for itself. Knowing that behind these creations stands Cornell’s renowned Department of Food Science, which educates and advises major companies in the dairy industry, makes every scoop even more meaningful. A place where passion for good food meets academic excellence. Without a doubt, if you’re looking to try something truly different and of the highest quality, this is the perfect place. 🍦🎓

If you're on the hunt for a delicious fast-food experience, look no further than Five Guys Burgers and Fries. This popular chain is known for its made-to-order burgers that are customizable with an array of toppings at no extra charge, ensuring each bite is packed with flavor. The freshly-cut fries are a standout feature, offering generous portions that will satisfy even the most dedicated fry lovers.
I just visited the Five Guys in Ithaca, NY for the first time and it was a huge success! I love the Five Guys experience, and this location did not disappoint. The staff was friendly, the food was great, and the portions were generous. Can't wait to come back! Highly recommend!

My budget was so good. I didn't like the service. The men behind the counter kept staring at me the whole time. Even when I was placing my order. The staring at me, had me feeling so uncomfortable that I went and stood next to the napkins and Ketchup to get out of their line of sight. My food was good and the fries...yummy... The price was a little much $36 but it is what it is🤷‍♀️

We visited the Five Guys in Ithaca, NY. It was a busy restaurant on a very rainy day. The food was very good, consistent with other Five Guys locations. They kept it pretty clean, despite the weather. It was nice to have a Five Guys in this more remote NY town.

People are great but it was 104 degrees out today and the air conditioning went out…People were turning away. I am sure in the pit of the kitchen it was even worse. I asked them about it and they said that there was nothing they could do. Food was ok, staff were great given the circumstances. Fix the AC corporate!!! Now!

Holy cow Batman ... Seriously if you ever can eat at five guys In Ithaca NY and really want a good burger I mean a good burger go to five guys flavor explosion I had to bury my face in that burger and it was well worth it in the end thank God for napkins definitely money well spent.... 😏💯🔥🍔🍟🥤

Clean and welcoming fast food joint. Best burger I've eaten other than my home! Fries are awesome also. Staff was friendly and I liked the louder upbeat music. While this place is pricier than a "normal" fast food place the food is worth it! Fresh and hot in a timely manner.
Shelby S — Google review
This was the best Five Guys I have been too! The fries were cooked perfectly! The burger was delicious also and the bun was fluffy and not soggy! The best service also!
Samantha R — Google review
The restaurant was dirty the bathroom was dirty and the lettuce was contaminated with onions which I definitely did not want on my burger. When we told the shift manager about the onions he just Shrugged and said it happens didn't offer to remake it or any other solution.

GreenStar Food Co+op, with three stores and over 12,000 members, has been serving the community for almost 50 years. It started as a small group of health-conscious individuals in Ithaca and has grown into one of the area's most popular markets. Offering an alternative to conventional supermarkets, Greenstar is known for providing local, healthy products to its members.
I enjoyed Green Star for a few reasons: Great selection of health food items, regular groceries, and a big selection of supplements. I liked how they are culturally competent and had more obscure food items that you wouldn't find in a normal chain.
Michael F — Google review
I am a Greenstar member, but I’ve been very dissatisfied with the shrinking portions and rising costs of the prepared foods. I often grab something for my lunch at least four times a week, in addition to my regular shopping. Personal favorites are the country fried tofu sandwich, the vegan ban mi and the vegan club wrap. It’s mostly bread for the sandwiches and greens with two meager pieces of tofu. I write this review because I’ve experienced 1/2 to 1/3 size shrinkage in the fillings, AND an increase in price beyond that. I understand having to raise prices, but it’s an insult to customers to put the least amount of protein in a sandwich or wrap possible and expect them to not notice. It’s my own fault for continuing to buy these items, but vegan options are few and far between as far as a quick meal goes. I miss being happy with the prepared food at Greenstar.
Shelley R — Google review
Other than the parking lot, we had a great visit from Rochester. This is a very clean, well organized store with a bunch of lunch options. We will definitely be back to try more things!
Turtle — Google review
I wasn't looking for this place, I was on my way to a regular supermarket on a quest for butter and something for lunch. I saw the sign and I made a fast turn. They have everything I wanted and more. In addition to natural toiletries and organic foods and meats, they have a delicious hot food and salad bar with an eating area! Look no further for dinner! And you don't have to wash any dishes. Their prices are super good, and if you become a member you get good discounts. I don't live nearby but this place will be my go-to when in ithaca. Heads up: it's got an unusual parking lot. Just pay attention to the printed arrows on the pavement.
Monica S — Google review
There are a lot of grocery choices in Ithaca, but this place has some real advantages. I like the value of the bulk selections, especially granola, spices and eggs. The produce is beautiful. The specials bring organic items to prices comparable to non-organic. Plus, the people are friendly and helpful. I don't feel tired after shopping here. Update: I shopped here two times more and found more features to appreciate. They have a coffee bar and a food bar, as well as indoor seating with tables. We enjoyed both hot and cold lunches of fresh, healthy dishes, which is hard to get travelling. I also got a pre-packaged salad for our flight out, and it was very tasty and filling.
Peedublyou — Google review
Absolutely love going to a store with such a wide variety of excellent vegan options! I wish I lived closer!!

I love GreenStar. It’s not your cheap local grocer but it you want quality local food and artisan products this is your one stop shop. I love that I can buy many of the locally produced products that I most enjoy while accessing many kinds of fresh locally grown organic produce. Parking can be tight so be prepared. They also have a food bar to choose from and make fresh juices and sandwiches.

I appreciate that there are many vegan foods. However, I will not buy brewed coffee here because the store charges $1 more for plant milks.

Liquid State Brewing Company is a top-notch brewery located in the West End District of downtown Ithaca. This locally owned establishment prides itself on producing high-quality, small-batch beers using a 20 hectoliter brewhouse. The on-site beer hall offers an array of fresh ales, lagers, IPAs, as well as local wines and ciders.
Awesome staff and fun opportunities to take part in! The expected brewery experience with several additional bonuses not to be missed! Every taste has some consideration from these experts in the deliciousness arts so don't be afraid to inquire about something suitable to your preferences.

It's possible to enjoy a brewery's varied selection so much that at least two flights are needed to accentuate the facts. Liquid State Brewing in Ithaca is one of those. The vibe, service, and beers are all solid. Delicious dark meat chicken treats are available from Silo, their resident food truck. Good sticker game.
Peter D — Google review
My family visited Liquid State Brewing Company yesterday. We had a wonderful time. There was a wonderful selection of beverages ranging from beers to NA cocktails. Be sampled most of the IPAs. All were good! Food was from the food truck. Chicken, fries and mac & cheese was delicious. We'll be back!

Liquid State Brewing Company is a fantastic spot! The beers are creative, well-crafted, and there’s a great variety to choose from — something for every taste. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, perfect for hanging out with friends or just enjoying a casual drink. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and it’s clear they take pride in what they do. Definitely one of the best places to grab a beer in the area — I’ll be back for sure!
KEVIN R — Google review
Liquid State and Franco’s pizza what a great combination! Had the flight with 4 IPAs and a small pizza from Franco’s with 1/2 pepperoni. Delish! Definitely going back.
Arl P — Google review
Love that they have kombucha on tap. If you’re looking for non-alcoholic options, they also have mock tails, NA beers, and some CBD & THC drinks. Nice atmosphere in the main room, but they also have a small outdoor space an event space. Good brewery vibe
Andrew S — Google review
I had a very disappointing experience at this bar. The bartender refused to serve me a beer because I didn’t have my passport, even though I showed an official government-issued ID. He was also quite rude and unhelpful, showing no effort to explain the situation politely. I understand that bars must check IDs, but there’s a way to do it with respect and basic courtesy. Other bars in the area had no problem accepting my ID and were much friendlier. Definitely not a place I’d recommend.
Lucas D — Google review
Stopped food service out of nowhere then when we went next door for pizza, leaving half our drinks and things inside, we were informed we couldn't go back in without paying cover fee or with Francos. So I had to get my friends to bring out my phone bag, umbrella, and leave the drink I paid for. So inhospitable .

Papa John’s never disappoints! Every time I come in especially on $1 pizza day—the staff is always so sweet and welcoming to me and my girls. They treat us like family, and that means a lot. The pizza is always fresh, hot, and delicious. We look forward to coming back every time. Thank you for making our visits so special! 🍕❤️

This place has started running downhill, I'm not sure who the manager is but poor customer service, as well as when I ordered a Garlic Epic Stuffed Crust pizza and the dough is still raw and not fully cooked, the pizza you pick it up and it just falls apart because their is no bottom crust on the pizza. Just overall ordered 5 times and still isnt getting better. I would highly avoid ordering or placing any deliveries from this Papa John's. Absolutely disgusting and a waste of money!
Cameron M — Google review
Good pizza; staff works hard, but they have a hard time managing the line during high volume order times. There's not a good queue, so everyone just mills about right in front. Cashier usually is also making pizza, so it's hard to flag them down to just pick up your pizza, even if it's already made and paid for. Kind of stressful as a customer. Too bad, because they make really good pizza!
Tim F — Google review
Ordered pizza and 2 hours later the delivery person said that they left it outside my door did not knock or text and now my food is cold and it’s been sitting outside on concrete. I will never order from you again. The last time I ordered it also took two hours and at least that delivery person knocked out my door to deliver the food.
Tara F — Google review
In the mood for pizza, so we did take out. It was good, asked for extra mushroom. I would hate to see what regular mushroom is, We did not get extra mushroom.
Tracy D — Google review
Ordered delivery. They said it was delayed. Waited 2 hours, still no delivery and then they cancelled it. No phone call. No nothing. Waste of time and space. This place should just close.
Frank P — Google review
The server I had was very difficult to understand (on the phone) due to her heavy accent. I’ m sure she was a nice person, but she was not very friendly to me. I had to keep asking her to repeat things, which made things difficult. I know that I did call on a “semi” holiday (Columbus Day) but was disappointed. Normally, the people there are very friendly and helpful, but, unfortunately, today I had a not-so-nice experience.

Restaurant
Angelhearts Diner is a charming retro spot in Ithaca, NY that offers a 100% vegan menu. It's not your typical health food joint - they serve up hearty diner fare with all-day breakfast options like breakfast burritos, tofu scrambles, and breakfast sandwiches. Their western sandwich features a tofu patty with peppers and onions, vegan cheddar, and sausage patty on a biscuit.
My family and I drove two hours to try the food here because my daughter wanted to go for her 16th birthday. We were not disappointed. We got a ton a food as we always do so we can try a little of everything and it was all delicious. We also had the pleasure of speaking with Theresa and she was amazing! Always nice to have friendly staff that makes you feel welcome. Thanks again Theresa for your hospitality.

I have wanted to visit Angelhearts Diner since they opened. I finally made it there today. I had the traditional biscuit breakfast sandwich - vegan eggs, bacon and cheese. Delicious! Everything was fresh and made to order. They serve Forty Weight Coffee which is local and very good coffee. Although I did not get a donut (my sandwich was more than enough) they looked fresh and homemade. I plan on getting one in the next time I am in the mood. Good job!

Having been in Ithaca for a year I’m surprised I’d never heard of this vegan joint at all! This was One of the few Vegan places I’ve had here in the US that actually has decently tasting vegan food. We had the breakfast burrito and a couple of smoothies alongside some vegan version of steak. They were kind enough to be open about how they shared the same grill with all dishes. So, if you have any allergies, please approach them and mention it to them in advance! The taste was great, decently priced and loved the vibe! Would definitely visit again if I come back to Ithaca!
Ananth D — Google review
Super trendy cool place! I hate they were out of the very thing I was hoping to get, the beet Burger. But the tofu scramble breakfast burrito was great. I got a walnut sticky bun dessert as well that was good and a mocha latte that was delicious, on the small side but delicious... They're really conscientious too with biodegradable utensils, containers and what not. Staff were really nice as well. If I lived near there I would probably try most things on the menu if not everything at some point and frequent the place for sure!
Vegan L — Google review
Ambience: Having changed from their previous location, it’s more of a takeout place than a diner now. There are a few seats with a wall attached table available but not a designed seating space, with an open vibe with natural light. The staff is super friendly and helpful with their suggestions. Food: They have reduced their menu size to serving very particular dishes like their classics and tacos along with coffee and donuts. All their donuts are vegan and handmade. They have introduced new donut flavours like a raspberry filled one, and an apple jam donut along with chocolate croissant, cheese and pepperoni croissant, butter croissant and cinnamon roll. Recommendations: If you are a coffee person, their Expresso Donut is a greatly balanced donut with a balance of coffee’s bitterness and sweetness of the glaze. The donut being handmade has a nice dark and crispy texture. If you are a fruit lover with a sweet tooth, their raspberry filled original glaze donut has a little tart raspberry filling but is well balanced with the sweet sugar glaze.

This was the CUTEST vegan diner. We tried soup, buffalo wings, biscuits and gravy, and the brunch wrap. 10/10 would go again! Highly recommend any of their food but if you have never been here before, get the brunch wrap! My Fiancé is not vegan and he was even raving about how delicious the foods were and how kind the service was!

Angelhearts Diner is a delightful, homey spot in Ithaca that serves up hearty comfort food with a side of warmth and nostalgia. This family-friendly diner is a local favorite, offering a menu full of classic American dishes that feel like something you’d find at a grandma’s kitchen table—simple, satisfying, and always comforting. The star of Angelhearts Diner is its all-day breakfast menu, which is perfect for those craving a hearty start to their day. The pancakes here are thick, fluffy, and delicious—served with butter and syrup that makes each bite feel like a little piece of heaven. If you're in the mood for something savory, the country fried steak with gravy is a must-try, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, topped with rich, flavorful gravy that adds the perfect finishing touch. Aside from breakfast, their classic diner burgers are another standout. The cheeseburger is juicy and perfectly cooked, served with crispy fries and a pickle on the side—simple, yet absolutely satisfying. The grilled cheese is also a fan favorite, especially when paired with a hot cup of coffee or a side of their creamy tomato soup. The diner itself has a cozy, retro feel, with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. It’s the kind of place where you can easily strike up a conversation with the regulars or just enjoy a quiet meal in a corner booth. The service is fast and friendly, with the staff always going out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome. If you're in Ithaca and looking for a place to enjoy classic comfort food in a no-fuss, down-to-earth setting, Angelhearts Diner is the perfect choice. Whether you’re craving a big breakfast, a juicy burger, or just a great cup of coffee, this diner hits the spot every time.

Kimchi Korean Restaurant is a popular spot in Ithaca, offering both takeout and dine-in options. The restaurant provides exceptional service, with attentive staff who ensure that customers have everything they need. The menu caters to local tastes and offers a variety of delicious dishes such as seafood pancake and dolso bimbinbap. Additionally, the restaurant provides an authentic Korean BBQ experience where patrons can grill bulgogi right at their table.
The jjamppong was great, lots of seafood and generous portion. The yangnyeom chicken was also delicious. The gyoza was SO good, juicy and crispy. Service was awesome, and vibe was chill.

This restaurant blew me away. The service was great, the food was outstanding, and everything feels like it’s homemade. The Gyoza may seem like an item you would pass on, but do not! They are hand made and have delicious pork and glass noodles in them. Thanks for a great meal!

We almost left because the atmosphere was off a little bit. It was about 45 minutes before their closing time and it didn't seem like they were very busy. But then this amazing waitress came and made us feel right at home. We got the vibe that the level of quality here was restricted by the owner or management... The waitress Evyn apologized for things that were out of her control, but we didn't mind at all. Ultimately, the food was amazing but the service is what makes this place what it is. Bibimbap sauce was dank!
Daniel W — Google review
I ordered the Teriyaki rice dish that is described as a stir fry. This meal is not stir fry. It’s the components of a stir fry sitting in sauce. I am very disappointed. I told the staff and they didn’t say much because “that’s how it comes”. But it is described wrong. I’m never one to complain about the food in a restaurant but to pay $20 for this is ridiculous.

Café Carriage House is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike to enjoy some breakfast, lunch or dinner. With outdoor seating and a full bar, they're perfect for catching up with friends over a drink or meal.
Really nice for coffee and scones! Lots of interesting flavors of scones - we got chocolate earl grey and chocolate ginger. Both were delicious. There’s normally a wait for the brunch, but you can order the coffee and scones from the counter without waiting.

Coffee is excellent, service is great (especially Serena), nice decor/atmosphere, but food was extremely disappointing and overpriced. Brie stuffed French toast -- it was dry Fries -- portion is small and they charge $3 Homemade ketchup -- tasted like tomato paste Ham and egg breakfast -- barely any ham To top it off they add a "service fee" to your bill without even telling you. Honestly, just come here for the coffee and service.

Mark has been here all three times we've visited over the last few months, and has always taken great care of us. This is the only place we've found in Ithaca so far that makes cappuccinos the same way we had them in Italy on our honeymoon and is a staple of me and my wife's dining experience in the area. The food is stellar every time we come here and we're certain to return time and time again.
Aydan S — Google review
I have to say that they have the best scones I've tried in my life. Scones are fresh, delicious, and soft. The salmon sandwich was okay but not as good as the scones. Btw, two blocks from this place you can enjoy the amazing view of the picture I share.

Had a wonderful brunch. Excellent menu and not cost prohibitive for the value. The only glitch we had was as a party of five we had to wait a bit longer ~40min. In their defense it was homecoming weekend. We took a walk down to the bridge over the Cascadilla Gorge Trail by the University. There is a lounge upstairs and you can grab a cup of joe while you wait🙂

It was a really nice spot! I had a scone breakfast sandwich that was delicious. After reading about the history, it was cool to note that most of the interior was made out restored parts of the old carriage house from the 1800s. Definitely will go again!

Dos Amigos is a popular spot in Collegetown known for its Cali-Mex tacos. Founded by two Cornellians from the West Coast, it was born out of a desire for authentic Mexican food in the area. The menu offers a variety of options including tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and cocktails. Customers praise the friendly service and recommend trying the different meat options for an authentic taste experience. The freshly-made spicy green sauce is also highly recommended.
Delicious, fresh, and creative! Stopped in for lunch last week with a friend and both of us thoroughly enjoyed. The food was amazing- and doubly appreciated because I am celiac and they were able to advise and accommodate my needs. A gem of a restaurant!
Marne P — Google review
Amazing burritos, but a little small for the price. I unfortunately didn't get to stay in shop to eat, but the setup was quite nice. The burritos we ordered both came in quick time , and the chef did an amazing job wrapping and packing them too. They didn't have much vegetables, other than onion which was VERY overpowering yet still quite good. It mostly consisted of beans rice and chicken. There were two sauces and the creamier one was very VERY good. This place is really nice for anyone who has a craving for Mexican food since there's not many other places like it in Ithaca, but just be prepared to spend a bit of money. The food is VERY filling and super tasty so it's definitely worth it for those who really like a good burrito.

Good tacos. The fries in the burrito weren’t strained enough so it was really, really greasy. I’d recommend no fries in the burrito

Got the Childish Gambeano w/o dairy — delish 😭! The guac and rice and all the flavoring made my 35ish minute wait worth the wait. Will be back
Lani L — Google review
Good food, but very expensive and noticeably stingy on the meat. They pad their food out using cheaper ingredients like the fries/rice. Also charges $3.50 for guacamole, which is frankly insane when a burrito is already coming in at $17-20. The staff are nice and readily make amendments if you decide to change something after ordering. The interior is small and loud, so not a place I'd recommend eating inside. TL;DR: The egregious prices and stingy ingredients make it feel like you're being extorted. If you can overlook that, you'll find a decent meal.
Finn C — Google review
I ordered four burritos and specifically asked for one with jalapeños. They labeled it as if it had them, but there were none inside. The other burritos were also completely wrong and nothing like what I requested. On top of that, the taste was awful and even made me feel sick afterward. I would never spend a penny here again. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. The whole family got sick!
Mohammad K — Google review
The of the few places our family regularly orders from, the food is fresh and you can tell made with care. There is also a great little speakeasy in the basement which has great drink and an immaculate vibe.

Overpriced and unoriginal. Charging $12+ for a single ingredient quesadilla was a bit much, but now they've completely lost it after reducing their tortilla size. It feels like they are price gauging all in the name of "supporting a local business"

Gimme! Coffee is a small cafe known for its espresso, drip brews, and small-batch roasted coffee beans. One of its unique features is the encouragement of environmentally responsible practices by offering discounts to customers who bring their own mugs. The cafe has received praise for its great coffee, chai, and hot chocolate. While some wish for a larger selection of coffees and hot food options, others appreciate the backstory behind the coffee despite finding it slightly overpriced.
Gimme always makes a great cappuccino uning their own perfectly roasted "leftist" beans blend. I walk a mile to one of their sites a couple of days per week to break up my workdays.

The State Diner, a beloved establishment that first opened its doors in 1936, has been serving up classic American, Italian, and Greek dishes for over 70 years. Originally housed in a railcar before expanding into a brick-and-mortar building, this iconic eatery is known for its homemade baked goods and quintessentially Americana-inspired interior. Whether you're craving traditional diner breakfasts or hearty lunches and dinners, the State Diner has something to satisfy every palate.
If you love classic American diners with a retro touch, then State Diner in Ithaca, NY, is a must-visit. This cozy little spot on State Street has all the nostalgic vibes of an old-school diner, complete with booth seating, bright red accents, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to enjoy comfort food, whether you’re a local or just passing through. For lunch, I ordered the Greek Burger with Fries and a handmade milkshake—a combo that perfectly hits the spot. The Greek burger is served on pita bread instead of a traditional bun, adding a nice twist. However, the patty itself was a bit dry and could have used a bit more seasoning. The fries, on the other hand, were crispy and golden, exactly how you’d want them in a classic diner setting. Now, let’s talk about the real highlight—the milkshake. This thick, creamy shake, topped with whipped cream, was the definition of indulgence. The retro-style ad on the table proudly states, “They’re Delicious,” and I have to agree! Whether you go for vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry, it’s the kind of treat that brings back childhood memories. Overall, State Diner is a charming little gem in Ithaca that serves up a nostalgic dining experience. While the burger could use a little more flavor, the atmosphere and that killer milkshake make it a spot worth checking out. Perfect for a laid-back meal with a touch of old-school Americana!

Walked here from our hotel for breakfast during a short overnight stay on our way to Niagara Falls. Classic don't judge a book by its cover place. Our server was awesome. Food was very good. Pretty typical diner food, but on the good side of that range. Very interesting seats!

traditional American style family restaurant, not a modern fancy environment but “traditional, old time” like the place in 70’s movies. 9am already lots of people there. Quickly seated with big welcome smile. Food delivery fast, tasty fresh and yummy. refill coffee every minute. Good place for breakfast .

A true classic diner gem! Stopped in and was blown away by the quality of the food and the cozy, nostalgic atmosphere. The place has that perfect old-school diner vibe — warm, welcoming, and authentic. I had the omelette, which was cooked to perfection, and the pancakes were absolutely amazing — fluffy, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Definitely coming back. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving a great breakfast or brunch spot!

Very generous portion sizes. The chicken wrap was very good, and the breakfast food is what you’d expect from your local diner. Overall, very solid.

It’s always great to eat in an independent restaurant, not a chain place, and even better if it’s a diner. Extra points for being a really old diner. The vegetable omelette was tasty, and waitress was friendly and accommodating. Just one minor complaint: mushrooms should always be fresh, and never canned.

A Classic Diner Experience with a Twist On our drive home from the Finger Lakes Region, my wife and I stopped at the State Diner in Ithaca for a late breakfast/early lunch on a Sunday — and we’re glad we did. The interior is exactly what you’d expect from a classic American diner: lots of cozy booths, shiny metal accents, and mirrors that give it a nostalgic feel. Everything looked clean and well cared for. We were seated in a corner booth with fold-down seats — something neither of us had seen before. It was a fun, quirky touch that added to the experience, though it may not be the best option for those with mobility issues or anyone who might find it tricky to get in and out of tighter spaces. As for the food, it was exactly what we hoped for: simple, satisfying diner fare. My wife had a cheese omelet, and I went with the Western. Both were well-prepared and hit the spot. The coffee was solid too — always a must at a diner. Bonus points for clean and well-maintained restrooms, which is always appreciated when you’re on the road. All in all, if you’re in Ithaca and craving a classic diner meal, the State Diner is definitely worth a stop. We’d happily return.

Chipotle Mexican Grill is a popular fast-food chain that offers Mexican fare including customizable burritos, tacos, and bowls. Fido is welcome at the restaurant's outdoor tables.
I'm not sure why it has only 2,6 stars from 1510 reviews, but my experience was great. When I came there, there was a big line (it was Sunday), but it took only 10 minutes. The staff was fast, and the food was pretty nice. If they ran out of some product, they immediately replaced it with a fresh one. I got a bowl with many different food in it, and all was delicious, except chicken. Some pieces were literally burnt... But, tbf, most of them were normal. The place was a bit dirty, but the cleaner literally cleaned it up in front of us. If you don't like to eat inside, you can eat outside - they have a terrace. Prices are good, but, tbf, it's not a restaurant, more like fast food :)

Never had Chipotle before and I should have looked at reviews. I’m pretty disappointed. I ordered 2 different salsa’s on my bowl and cilantro rice. Didn’t find any salsa, barely any rice. The queso was lukewarm at best. Looks like mashed potatoes. Girlfriend also ordered a bowl with no beans and they managed to give her a BED of beans and no rice. Additionally, I wanted to order a burrito but the app said “unavailable”. Tell me why I walk into the store to pick up the order and I see the workers rolling burritos with plenty of tortillas in sight. The tables look like they hadn’t been wiped down in hours and overall was a very unpleasant and disappointing experience. She shouldn’t have paid $40 for this. Unreal.
Dominic S — Google review
Very sad to say, but this was one of the dirtiest Chipotles I’ve ever been to. First of all, the front door and glass looked like it had never been cleaned and was smeared with food and finger prints. The trash cans were all overflowing. The counter where the employees serve the food from had so much food spilled on it that when we got our bowls the food was all stuck to the bottom. Every table looked about as good as the front door, and we had to clean our chairs to avoid sitting on spilled rice and sauce. But the worst was the bathroom which had no toilet paper and stuff all over the floor. We almost walked out but we were starving. I’m honestly surprised we didn’t get sick. It’s a shame because we aren’t picky people and we love Chipotle. But we might be second guessing it from now on because of this experience. I think management needs to step up their game.

Ate here for lunch today, and the dining area was a mess. Almost all tables had dirty food on them, the floor under the tables was dirty, and there was even toilet paper on the floor outside the restrooms. I suggested to the cashier that they might want to clean it, and she said they were too busy. But it also makes me wonder how clean the kitchen and other work areas are- perhaps they are too busy to clean those as well. Saw this location received findings for the latest heath inspection by the county last month, including a “critical” finding for not having food at the right temperature. Eat here at your own risk.

I had a great experience at Chipotle Mexican Grill here in Ithaca! The food was fresh, flavorful, and made exactly the way I wanted. The staff were friendly, quick, and kept the line moving even during a busy time. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, and I really appreciated the portions being generous for the price. My burrito bowl was packed with flavor, and everything tasted super fresh. Definitely one of my go-to spots in Ithaca when I want a quick and tasty meal.

Absolutely ridiculous. This was my first time ever at Chipotle. Waited 20 minutes in line (which was to the door) and only 1 person got their food, while the 10 or so people in front of me waited. There's about 5 people working, but only 1 is taking orders and making them. The larger gentlemen working the cashier walks around dillydallying and singing in front of people when there is a huge line waiting to order. Tables were dirty and disgusting, napkins needed to be refilled, place was overall nasty. The bigger gentlemen was staring down at the line waiting for his other co-workers to attend to it, when he was more than capable of taking said orders. Fire the guy who's doing nothing and give that young gentlemen's doing all the work a raise!!!! Took our business elsewhere.

Christina and Mike were excellent to work with as I coordinated three swim team dinners as we were visiting from out of town. The food was fantastic, free deliveries were right on time (Greg was great too!) and they included everything we needed - from plates, cutlery, and ketchup to menu switches and delivery time changes after the order placed. I will definitely order again. This is EXACTLY what I needed, when I needed it and SO DELICIOUS!

A great pizza! Delicious light crust that’s not too thin or thick. Generous amount of toppings. Cheese to sauce ratio perfect. Highly recommend. I will be coming back again! Just wish I had discovered this place sooner. Ordered large pizza supreme.
Eileen J — Google review
Review: Italian Carry Out, Ithaca NY First things first; I ordered my standard “review” pizza, a pizza with extra cheese, and the pizza showed up with much of the cheese pooled to one side. That is a major negative, as it showed a lack of attention to the product showing up to your door in reasonable condition. So, putting the cheese-slide aside, this pizza was overall tasty. Ithaca NY has a pizza problem, in that much of the pizza is horrible. There are a handful of worthy places, and a good slice in Ithaca will certainly stand out; especially if you have had the bad. This pizza did not disappoint in the way of flavor, and is worthy of your taste buds. The sauce was saucy, not thick, not thin; good flavor that complemented the cheese and dough. Speaking of the dough, it was fairly good, weakish, an ok texture, not over the top, but not scraping the bottom. I would buy this pizza again. The Next Day: I love my pizza the next day (or later on that night), cold out of the fridge, and this slice holds up with the next day maturation of flavors. We all know that many foods taste better the next day after the flavors have a chance to mingle; Pizza especially! The Pizza Guys 0-10 scale of Pizza excellence: Dough: I give the dough a (4). The texture was kind of weak, and the flavor could have been more involved. The dough needs to support the slice. It is the foundation of the pie, and must be able to support the sauce and cheese. We all know that a weak slice will cause a cheese slide, and get you a nice cleaning bill.. Sauce: I give the sauce a (8). because it was fruity and flavorful. It was not sugary, or acidic. You can tell that the sauce is made with love! I was raised in an Italian family, we had tomatoes growing everywhere, even the driveway at our house on Long Island. The whole block was Italian and we would all get together to make sauce, which we called gravy! This sauce reminds me of those days. The sauce brought everything together, and it was perfect on every bite; it totally complimented the whole slice. I loved that it was loose, but not runny. Cheese: I give the cheese a solid (7). The cheese is a good grade mozzarella, and tastes freshly grated. Just enough salt to bring out the milky flavors, and melts nicely into the bed of sauce and dough. The better the grade mozzarella, the better the melt, and overall flavor; especially if it's whole milk. In my view, you should never skimp out on cheese, less fat will cost you in flavor. Save your calories somewhere else, and don’t sacrifice your cheesy pizza experience! Total Pizza Guy score for, Italian Carry Out in Ithaca NY: Score: “6.3!” The score may be 6.3, but you can add 2 more points since it’s Ithaca. Although, there is no doubt that this pie would do well if it was sold in NYC! Cheers! Thepizzaguyreview.com #ThePizzaGuyReview

Simply put - everything is great! My favorite meal in town is the Flying Squirrel sub. First - all subs are made with Ithaca bakery bread and they're frankly the best sub rolls I've ever had. The Squirrel specifically is a a Philly cheese sub and a Buffalo chicken sub on one roll. (I also recommend adding bacon). They have several wing sauce options to pick from, but I love their traditional 'hot'. They also make some really great pizzas and they have a ton of options for them. Wings are fantastic and lots of options. Employees are always friendly and helpful. To boot, they have free delivery to the Ithaca area! Oh yeah - the I in ICO, they have fantastic Italian options and easily the best sauce in town. Highly recommend the raviolis' and an order of the giant meatball.

I'd take some of these reviews with a big grain of salt. It appears some people don't know what pizza is supposed to taste like. But that's okay, some people don't know about authentic pizza. I just got back from Italy, and this pizza was actually quite close. It's very delicious. I can't comment on the delivery process, but if you go there you'll get a very good slice of pizza.

How do you like burnt pizza? I used to go to your place quite frequently back in the day with friends so I stopped by today for a dose of nostalgia. I regret that decision. $7+ for 2 slices of pepperoni extra extra crisp. No regrets leaving a bad review for bad pizza. Interior is great if you like concrete for a back rest when you eat.

Soda fountain had no syrup, guy behind the counter just shrugged and walked away. Pizza was ok, not really worth the price. Place was filthy, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week. Only went here because it was the only pizza place open that wasn't Dominos. Kinda wish i'd gone there instead.
Jack M — Google review
The only way to get this review submitted was to give it a star. It's not even worth a star. The establishment is dirty and the restroom sink looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a while. We ordered personal pizzas and some fried chicken (dine-in) . We were told it would take 25 minutes. 45 minutes later, we were still waiting. There was no communication from them about why it was taking so long. When I finally went to check on the order, I was told that the pizzas were burnt and they had to make another batch. The pizzas were nothing to write home about and our chicken was over cooked and dry. I'm not going back any more.
Kim P — Google review
The restaurant appeared dirty and not well taken care of. The gentleman cooking behind the counter was handling cooked and uncooked food without gloves. I ordered 20 wings, which were absolutely horrible. I ate one. The rest went in the trash. The wings were soggy and crumbly, obviously cooked plain and tossed in a minimal amount of mediocre sauce. Will never go back. Unfortunately Google will not let me give it zero stars.

Went to order a whole pie ToGo, when I got to counter I was informed, " we are out of cheese , someone is going to store". So instead I bought a few premade slices. The garlic pizza slice was dry while the plain cheese I found greasy. $27 for 6 slices and 3 drinks .. it was avg I must say. Tables inside were dirty, so we sat outside. Wasn't impressed.

You walk in the door and get greeted with smiles. The food is great, and the atmosphere is just right for a quick lunch, dinner, or late night snack. They have seating outside, which is perfect for those sunny days. With the commons about finished with construction, you have a great view of the surrounding area while you have your lunch. I work on the commons and Sammy's is one of my favorite places to go. The variety of the menu makes sure you never tire of anything. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

Absolutely horrible experience! Our food arrived 1.5 hours after we ordered it, the calzone was cold and the incorrect type, our wings were undercooked and slimy, and we didn't even get the pizza slices we ordered. Called and complained multiple times, finally were able to get our order refunded.

The food was pretty good. I got a cheese pizza. Nice crust, a bit too cheesy for my liking. The tables were a bit dirty-but that isn’t the pizza places fault! The server was great, fast, nice, and let us take the shakers to our table. The atmosphere wasn’t great, as it is in the middle of a very dead mall. Overall pretty good pizza for a mall, I would go again. Attached are a photo of a pizza and two combos.

I got the meat lovers pizza and it was one of the best mest lovers I have ever tried, they put just the right amount of pepperoni, ham, and sausage. The woman at the front was so nice and was perfect on explaining every slice they had, the only downside was that they are in a mall that is really empty which is unfortunate because if it was its own building it would be way more popular. Overall it was amazing and I would totally recommend to anyone in the Ithaca area.
Zachary D — Google review
It really pains me to write this. I really do like the people here, and the food is very tasty. But they need to take allergens/diet restrictions seriously if they are going to offer the options. I ordered two gluten free pizzas. I would assume having menu items clearly marked as gluten free or not would mean some minimal precautions would be in place. I watched them make the pizza, but they put the pizza in the oven with the same wooden spatula that all of the other wheat pizzas use, and placed it directly on the same cooking surface. Why offer gluten free if it won't even matter? The pizza tastes great, but I needed to go buy separate gluten free pizza afterwards for family that will get sick if they eat it.

I preordered 4 pizzas to be ready for my kids and their friends after our movie was finished. Stefani was a great help when I spoke with him over the phone. He was friendly and kindly explained his specials to help me get the best deal on my order. After all that we got out of our movie late and we were almost 30 minutes late to pick up our order. I was nervous our order would no longer be there for us but Stefano was ready and waiting for us. He patiently heard my apology for being so late and kindly put me at ease reassuring me that all was well. He took very good care of me and our energetic bunch of kids. Our kids also enjoyed watching him hand toss the pizzas and put them in his oven, which they could see from the glass counter in front of his shop. And of course his hand thrown pizzas were absolutely delicious!! I highly recommend visiting Stefano and his Sicilian Delight restaurant. You won’t be disappointed!

Sicilian Delight is, by far, the best NY-style pizza in Ithaca. Get yourself a large pepperoni and you won't be disappointed. I've been searching for a pizza that's up to NY standards for the 12+ years I've lived here, and Sicilian meets that high standard. Wonderful owner and people too.

I’m beyond disappointed that my favorite pizza place between PA and NY is ruined. I was happy to see they had help but I think the help will be their downfall. The crust was too thin, soggy, and the all around flavor has plummeted. It’s been a year since I had this pizza and I was looking forward to it. I came here at least two times a month with my girlfriend for a year before we moved. We had so much bad pizza in Syracuse we were excited to eat it and added 30 extra minutes to get back home. I wish we would have just went home

The tacos are at a great price. You get large proportions and the ingredients are fresh so you don't feel heavy after having a few. The Verde pork tacos are particularly good. The problem is that everything is bland and one note. No dimensions of flavor, no spice. It taste like eating a raw salad with great meat in it. The chips are also cheep processed tortilla chips.
Martin F — Google review
Ordered 3 tacos, burrito and 2 drinks one night during Cornell Reunion weekend. The three tacos we ordered (E, H, I with pork) were great. The blueberry chipotle (H) and citrus habanero (I) were the best and I would absolutely order them again. Good portions for the price ($7 for all 3). Unfortunately we didn't like the #7 Burrito nearly as much, the rice overwhelmed the flavors of queso and it was very mushy. Probably our poor choice in part and personal preference. I would stick to tacos next time, I saw several other combinations I'd like to try. Agave lemonade and limeade were delicious, limeade was perfectly sweet-tart. All in all, 4/5 and we'll be back when we are in town.
Rachel M — Google review
I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor and size of the burrito that I had. It's nice to have a different Mexican flavor in town other than Viva, which can be rather bland and boring, let's be honest. My colleague and I also had the limeade and ginger-ade side beverages which were also very good, although I would have enjoyed some ice to go with it. Edit: Came in much more recently and got the lunch special for $9 which includes 2 tacos, nachos, and a drink. More than worth it for the price. They were out of nachos, so I was content with getting a side of rice accompanied by the black bean dip that normally would be served with the nacho chips. My personal favorite taco was the I. Pickled red onion with citrus habanero peach sauce, and cilantro
