King of Falafel & Shawarma is a renowned food cart turned green-skinned truck that offers generous portions of chicken, beef, and falafel over rice on Broadway. The marinated and spiced chicken is delightful, but the beef and lamb steal the show with their sweet spices that balance out the gaminess. The crispy-on-the-outside, moist-on-the-inside falafel is generously spiced and occasionally given out for free to those in line.
The chicken kebab was so tender and juicy. It was made fresh to order. The eggplant tomato dish, house salad and pita bread also so good. It was our first time having the food here and it was absolutely lovely. Palestine cola also sweetens the deal🇵🇸❤️

Food was delicious!! Big portions! Pita was fluffy and flavorful! Love the decor and love how friendly this environment is from the employees, to the owner, to the patrons. I will be back!

If you’re pro pali, coming here is such a treat! Great food. Touching artwork. This is a must visit!! 😋 I tried the king appetizer and chicken platter! So delicious
Natalie H — Google review
A proud Palestinian owned business and they have the best falafel I’ve ever had the pleasure of having in my entire life and I’m not exaggerating at all. It’s shaped like kibbeh rather than the traditional round shape, they start frying them as soon as you walk in and offer you a piece as you wait in line to place your order and it’s the best starter before your meal. That is if you can fight the urge to get more and order something else instead which I personally failed at and proudly had one too many pieces that day, no regrets. Oh and the meat shawarma was also delicious.
Elif A — Google review
Everything from the place is phenomenal. From the entrance to the falafel to all the stickers and signs out there. I totally understand why the falafel is the best one ever. I would legit come back here every week if not every month. Food was mind blowing
Giovanni C — Google review
Best falafel I’ve ever had. The chicken platter was okay. Not my favorite. I’d like to try the shawarma next time.
Pavi T — Google review
The best, tastiest, freshest falafel I’ve ever had. And they’re big too. Also staff is nice!
Khan M — Google review
Food is excellent. We hit up this place weekly. Could use a bit more white sauce. The 1 star political reviews don't mean anything, just bitter people. The falafel rocks.

Mamoun's Falafel is a well-established Middle Eastern chain known for its traditional offerings such as falafel, shawarma, and kebabs. With multiple locations across the East Coast, Mamoun's has garnered a loyal following with its crowd-pleasing Middle Eastern cuisine.
Mamouns is a staple and a must-go whenever I'm in the city. Super friendly, super delicious, super quick. Shawarma is :chef's kiss: and the falafel is so so good. If you like babaganoush, I really have to say it's some of the best I've ever had ❤️ (cards/Google/Apple pay accepted, but a discount for cash) Cannot wait to stop into macdougal st again :)
Rita G — Google review
Said to be the best Falafel in New York and it certainly did not disappoint. I am not too much of a fan of falafel, but this is pretty good. The sauce is a little bit too sour to my taste.
Liang H — Google review
They have great falafel. We love coming here. Hummus was decent. Very small place. Usually folks have To-go orders.
Vaish C — Google review
Been coming to this location for many years. Absolutely delicious food and the atmosphere brings back great memories. But lately I have noticed things are definitely changing. They got rid of their original homemade lentil soup. They now serve some ready made soup instead. Definitely not the same experience. Last time I was there, they were all out of shawarma and lamb kebab. They only had falafel, kofta and chicken kebab, at 9pm! I’ve been to this place hundreds if not thousands of times, never have I seen them be out of any kind of dish. It’s not the end of the world but when you take a long trip for over an hour to grab some good old shawarma sandwiches just to find out that they’re all out, it’s disappointing. I have been to some of their other locations but nothing beats an original location. I hope they bring back some of the old experience and continue to keep this place great as it always has been.
M K — Google review
Wow, this place was amazing. The shawarma had the perfect balance of perfectly seasoned meat and refreshing vegetables. The falafel was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Their menu offers great quality at very affordable prices. Just a heads-up, they only take cash, so come prepared
Hayley T — Google review
Excellent falafel shop near Washington Square Park with generous servings for the price. Outdoor seating on a classic Village street makes it a great stop for falafel.
Adam C — Google review
Straight up solid falafel and shawarma pitas. The falafel is light and delicious and the shawarma is browned and savory. Hummus is smooth as butter. Hot peppers, spice, tahini makes the flavor POP. 1 or 1 tables inside, so be prepared to sit outside at one of their covered tables.
Angela C — Google review
Order a shawarma, just the sandwich. Taste was outstanding, service kind and fast. Can’t see how you’d go here and be disappointed.

If you're on the hunt for an exceptional falafel experience in New York, look no further than Taim Mediterranean Kitchen. Nestled in the serene West Village, this eatery offers a delightful all-vegetarian menu crafted by renowned Israeli chef Einat Admony, who has made waves since opening her doors in 2005.
We had the great pleasure of dining at **Tain Mediterranean Kitchen** in New York, and it was simply amazing! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by an extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff member at the counter. He made us feel wonderful right away – warm, attentive, and just incredibly kind! The food was another highlight. Fresh, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor! Every bite was a delight. 🤤 An absolute recommendation! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Mona D — Google review
Full marks for food, excellent falafel, hummus and tahini. Huge portion and filled with perfect ingredients. Staff needs to understand hospitality service, service with smile, attending customers at the counter should be top priority. Atmosphere is good nothing worth mentioning though.
Vandan D — Google review
I recently discovered a nice spot for healthy take-away food in Manhattan. Their chicken shawarma bowl is particularly noteworthy - it's not only healthy but has also nice flavor. The pita served alongside complements the meal. I was pleased by the speedy service in the early evening. Also, a must-try are their meatballs, which are both very good and have a spicy kick.
Dennis Z — Google review
It’s fine. The food is just fine and served lukewarm after sitting in a heater for a while. Nothing feels fresh or exciting. You might as well go to Chipotle if you’re looking for freshness or spices, and you won’t be spending $18.5 there for a bowl. The place had absolutely no vibe and felt like it’s about to permanently shut down soon. The two employees were cordial, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Haim H — Google review
Popped in for a quick lunch. They have a small menu but you can customize your own bowl. I went with the greek salad with chicken shawrma. The chicken was a little dry and was a little too funky for me. The salad was pretty basic. Am I dying to come back? No. Too many other quick service places to try first.
Nicholas G — Google review
The place is pretty good and clean. It is Mediterranean or middle eastern style food and it was good. I enjoyed my meal. Now, the place does not take cash only debit cards or credit cards. It is pretty small but good for a vegan meal during lunchtime. I did not have to wait long for my meal. The price was ok. The meal in the picture below was $12.50 (tax not included). I will go back again if I forgot to bring my lunch to work again.

May 2025 update - continues to be excellent. Still spotty with even spreading of sandwich ingredients. But I want to shout out Nancy A! Management should pay attention to her. Her service was excellent. She correctly anticipated that part of my order was to carry out and brought the whole thing over to me with the to go portion already in a to go container/bag. Then I overheard her pumping up the team, encouraging them to taste and become familiar with ingredients. Passion - not just here to clock in clock out. I would want someone like this on my team. Thank you Nancy A and thank you Taim for making delicious healthy and safe “drugs” a reality. May 2024 update - went in on a Wednesday at 4 and Amir was working there. Holy moly. He fixed any quality issues and restored the glory in full. I will always love taim but how Amir prepared the pita manifested beatitude. Thank you Amir !!! (May 2023 update below) “If there is a God, then why do bad things happen to good people?” I struggle to make sense of days without Taim. Am I a bad person? Or is this world just a cold place? But then a ray of sunshine breaks through the dreary clouds and delivers warmth as it lands upon my soul. I get to eat Taim. And then it all makes sense: those days without Taim, though seeming mean and unfair, a cruel circumstance dished out by an unloving God or a soulless universe, served a much greater purpose, indeed. For without a falafel-less day, how does one appreciate the profound blessing in a day marked by Taims Mediterranean excellence? Only in the absence of one’s lover does one discover the joy of longing - and the joy of reuniting. Thank you, Taim, for helping me in my quest for spiritual insight and supreme falafel bliss. May 27, 2023 update - Im not one to leave a place a glowing review and then stop eating there without giving management some feedback and a chance to improve. So here it is: My wife has been pointing out that for awhile now I end up eating my Taim and complaining. She asks “why do you still go?” And for me it’s because of how good it has been, and hoping to see it return to that quality. For months now it hasn’t. Just left the maiden lane location and got hit with the same stuff I’ve been seeing for so long (picture included): awful sandwich stuffing. You slice the egg up, why not spread it? Not pictured is all of the pickled cabbage jammed in one corner as well. There is no balanced bite, no bite with a little of all the heavenly ingredients. This time the hummus didn’t even have any toppings! The consistency is slipping hard. Service is usually friendly ish but disengaged. Maiden lane has become consistent only in its failure to stuff a falafel sandwich; to make it as if it were made with care rather than some disgruntled employees reading the receipt and slapping on whatever sauce and jamming in whatever ingredients the customer asks. I hope they can return to the delicate care that the lovely Ingredients require to achieve their full potential. For this I removed a star, largely to get managements attention.

Egyptian restaurant
Kebab shop
Kabab Cafe is a small restaurant in Astoria, Queens, known for its custom creations and Egyptian cuisine. The chef and owner, Ali El-Sayed, is renowned for his outgoing personality and unique dishes. The restaurant doesn't have a traditional menu; instead, diners are treated to Chef Ali's famous creations. The cozy eatery has been serving expertly seasoned kebabs and grilled vegetables since 1989.
This restaurant brings back the importance of having a chef interact with his customers, someone who really cares about who he’s about to serve. For the quality of food you get, the prices are worth it and the flavors are immaculate. My jaw literally dropped after the first taste of each plate he handed me and you can feel the essence of genuine love in every dish he curates for you. Go in and ask him to make you whatever he suggests, and you’ll understand what food is supposed to taste like.
Sarah A — Google review
Small restaurant, wonderful service, and great food with large portions. I tried the beef kabab and enjoyed it.
Z H — Google review
I was excited for my meal after reading excellent reviews here. The no menu schtick is a trap for the chef to provide inconsiderate service and arbitrary pricing. When I walked in I bought into the romanticization of the chef owner concept. Don’t make that mistake. By the time I left, 2 hours later for 2 small dishes, I’d been served over-cooked, over-seasoned, lazily prepared food in an uncomfortable setting. I was charged an exorbitant price for the displeasure. Worst meal I’ve had in NYC. Due to the chef’s aggressive and rude manners I couldn’t have a conversation with my guest without the chef intruding. I am alarmed by the lack of basic food handling safety. The chef and owner Ali was coughing and sneezing onto the dishes as he prepared them. Bleach and other cleaning products are stored haphazardly adjacent to food prep areas. See attached photo for the conditions of the cooking space and equipment. Due for an inspection ASAP. Do yourself a favor and go to any number of excellent options in the neighborhood instead.
Lucas W — Google review
Every aspect of dining here contained unexpected quality. The dishes showcase quality. Their food combines tradition with new ideas. Their service personnel's quick responses were noticeable. I appreciate the quality here and tell people.
Terixo S — Google review
They perfect what they know. You get proper portions for what you pay. This restaurant exceeds typical excellence measures. These employees are quick-thinking yet never condescending. We're planning another visit.
Caro G — Google review
Chef Ali puts together an amazing dining experience. One filled with delicious foods and entertaining conversations stretching your meal for hours and hours. It’s nice to slow down once in a while and be enjoy being human.
George K — Google review
This place is a gem. It’s a very small place with enough seating for 10-15 people. The proprietor is an excellent gentleman who cooks everything from scratch and serves it. He is also very warm and friendly. The food is delicious, full of flavors, made from ingredients that are very fresh. Overall the experience is very personal; very different from an usual “restaurant”. The cuisine is specifically Alexandrian, and the name “kebab cafe” doesn’t do justice - this place has so much more than just kebabs.
Debojyoti G — Google review
Truly special. This place (and its sister restaurant Mombar) are basically as close as you can get to being invited into someone's home to share a delicious meal with them, while still being a restaurant you pay money (not that much) for. Ali is a character from a movie. Just eat whatever he tells you to, especially if it's the lamb cheeks or chicken livers.

Turkish restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Kebab shop
Hazar Turkish Kebab is a bustling spot in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn that offers a diverse menu of Turkish soups, sandwiches, kebabs, and gyros alongside delectable desserts. The restaurant takes an inclusive approach to Middle Eastern cuisine by incorporating items like shawarma and falafel. The lamb shawarma and lentil-shaped falafel are particularly recommended for their flavors and textures.
The food here is absolutely delicious! We've been three times, and every visit has been worth it. Each time, we tried different dishes, and they were consistently excellent. The place is clean and well-organized, which adds to the enjoyable atmosphere. The highlight, though, is the amazing service—especially from our server, Osman, who truly made our experience memorable.
Samar D — Google review
I've been here a few times in the past 3 years and I went today with my mother for lunch, and I was not dissapointed. We both ordered the lentil soup and chicken adana special and it definitely hit the spot. The soup was delicious and the kebab was cooked well and it was juicy. I just wish that they would update the interior of the restaurant. It looks very outdated and even a little run down in my opinion. It doesn't help that they have competition in the neighborhood, such as Istanbul Bay on 80th Street and Ay Kebab on 86th Street. Both of them also have renovated interiors and serve food that is up to par with Hazar. But if I'm being honest, the employees at Ay Kebab acted like they didn't want to be there the last time I ate there. Speaking of employee attitudes there was a cashier/waiter at Hazar that was extremely friendly and courteous so they have that over Ay Kebab. I haven't been to Istanbul Bay in Bay Ridge in over three years but I remember the workers being friendly and their lamb and rice tasting great. Sorry for rambling so much but my point is you should definitely give Hazar a try, especially if you're craving turkish food on a budget.
Prince A — Google review
Everything was delicious. People are very happy friendly with smile. Food is fresh plates are full with unlimited meat. The gave us from them.
Sara S — Google review
Hands down the best Turkish restaurant in Brooklyn in my opinion. I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed and I understand the restaurant is under new ownership currently and the food was exactly how it always was. The mixed grill is perfect for my low carb diet and I left very satisfied.
Dino P — Google review
My family and I love this spot, it's changed ownership recently, but the food is relatively the same. We get the "Mixed Grill" platters. Good Authentic food

The BREAD! And every dish includes the bread is DELICIOUS! Lahmacun, lamb chops, gyros and pide… I almost tried everything here and loved it! Also their desserts are amazing and so freaking fresh! I asked and they said they’re all making everything from the scratch!
Aysu A — Google review
Not much atmosphere but really good food. This is my go-to spot. If you get any sandwich or platter, make sure you get the homemade Turkish bread. The fried calamari is always light and tender. The pides are delicious.
Starasia S — Google review
They changed the name to “Istanbul kebab”.. I used to visit every time I used to shop from balady supermarket.. today is the last day I’ve visited them. They have become very unhygienic. I found human hair on my hummus.. first I showed it the waitress who doesn’t understand English so she called her boss. When her boss came to my table I’ve tried to show him the hair.. but couldn’t see & top of that he called me a lair. So I referred him to the waitress & she lied as well. Since I’ve walked into the restaurant I didn’t have a good experience like before. Waitress doesn’t understand English & her boss is very rude. He was almost barking at me. I’ve been paying top dollar for the food & this is the last time I patronize them. Whoever is reading this review please save your health & money. There are 100 other Turkish restaurants around the Brooklyn & throughout the city. Try them.. this people are not recommended at all., they’re rude.. dirty., & pricy.

Falafel restaurant
Israeli restaurant
Falafel Tanami is a cozy Middle Eastern eatery located in Midwood, Brooklyn. Despite its small size, it has gained recognition for its authentic falafel pitas and homemade ingredients. The menu offers generously sized portions, and customers have the option of outdoor seating under cover. Visitors praise the friendly staff and quick service, as well as the affordable prices.
Was curious to try out this place went the first time and absolutely loved it! I underestimated the serving size so I ordered some hummus on the side and just the pita alone left me absolutely STUFFED. Healthy, homemade, simple and delicious. I am officially a regular. Can’t wait to come back!!
Mewroz C — Google review
Never had Falafel before. My friend took me & I was skeptical but also excited. Upon arrival you would see that it wasn’t the most up-kept place but don’t let the mom and pop feeling fool you. The falafel pita was sooooo light refreshing flavorful, like I was at lost for words with each bite. I plan on taking a trip VERY SOON… NY TIMES was spot on when they said they are the best in the city.
Whitney J — Google review
The best falafel in New York City! Super original and authentic. The staff is very friendly, the prices are really affordable, and the service is fast and always with a smile. Highly recommended for anyone looking for real, high-quality Israeli food—this is the place to go!

We have been coming here for years, and we always had great food!! Now we tried their new location!! Food is so outstanding, the service is quick and extremely friendly, and now the cleaner and more spacial location, it is the only place to eat falafel in NY!

HEAVEN HEAVEN HEAVEN! I come Here roughly once every 1-2 months and I’m always so impressed by the hospitality! Kind workers who serve well, and the food… honestly no words. Clean, fresh, and always hits the spot. I can not recommend this place enough. I’ve brought friends to eat here too, from out of town and months later they still speak about how it was such a highlight for them. Obsessed!! 10/10

Nish Nush is a New York City restaurant with two locations, offering a contemporary dining experience with a focus on kosher and Middle Eastern cuisine. The menu features custom-made hummus, flavorful falafel, fresh veggies, and other delights from the region. Guests can enjoy generous servings at reasonable prices. The restaurant prides itself on its vegan-friendly menu and friendly staff.
The soup was so good and I love soup. They have real vegan options. I liked the kale salad bowl, I just didn't like the mushrooms because they taste like bought mushrooms that had been sitting in brine too long or too much vinegar and rubbery. Everything else I order was great! The falafel burger was soooo good. The humus with mushrooms was amazing. The staff was amazing too.

The food is good. But the people who work here are really slow and the environment inside is kinda dirty and worn down. This used to be a really nice place but the inside has deteriorated. Although the food service workers wear gloves, the cashiers don’t and they are sometimes the last ones to touch your food. Also pay attention to their pricing policy too. If you want a regular falafel, it’s 11.50. If you order for pickup it’s 12.50. And if you don’t want a pita it’s +$2.00 (pickup or in store). So $14.50 for the same food.

One word- it was a wonderful experience. All veg menu with so many delicious options and so pocket friendly. I visited Nish Nush based on a friend’s recommendation and must say, it was worth visiting. Everything that we ordered was delicious. I could not understand the names in menu even being on English, but staff there was so helpful who patiently answered all my queries and helped to make choices for my dinner on the day. It is one of very few places that also offer drinking water free of cost and that also adds to the good service. I do recommend the place. Do try the soups, if you are visiting there.

Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 I wanted to try this since I never had Israeli food and it’s highly rated & a bit different than the usual stuff you get. I went around 8:45pm on a weekend & could get a places to sit easily. It, however, filled up quickly after that. I had Vegan Shawarma. The taste was good. The only downside was the oil that accumulated at the bottom below the bread. But overall it was good & filling.

We were hungry and uncertain about where to eat (first time in this area). I checked the map and discovered a nearby restaurant. I'm glad I found it, we loved it! Everything was amazing, especially my Ginger Lemonade. When we arrived, it was raining, so the restaurant was empty. A few minutes later, it filled up with other customers. The ambiance was nice, with the music playing at just the right volume.

It is Israeli-Moroccan influenced food ( majorly Israeli). I really had an amazing experience. I totally recommend for everyone to try. I ordered to go but later decided to stay and eat that’s why you can see them in to go boxes and not in the platter.

I love it here. The falafel is delicious, the pita is fluffy. I don’t remember what I got but it’s the most basic falafel sandwich they have and it was amazing. Perfectly filling, with Israeli salad, tahina, falafel and pickles, more tahina and shug on the side. Great affordable kosher option in Manhattan.

BZ Grill is a delightful gem nestled on Astoria Boulevard, serving up authentic Greek fast food in a laid-back setting. This no-frills eatery specializes in mouthwatering gyros and souvlaki, with standout options like their crispy pork gyro that’s simply irresistible. The falafel sandwich is another must-try, generously stuffed with fresh veggies and drizzled with zesty tzatziki sauce.
Their food is amazing! Their chicken souvlaki is so juicy and tasty! I typically get their gyros with fries, but sometimes I'll get their platters! I love their Greek fries too. Fair price for the flavor too! I love dining in and sitting outside!
Angie C — Google review
Don’t come here if you are hungry, the food is tiny size with full size prices, $12 dollars for a pork sandwich which is the size of a Taco Bell crunch taco. The place was good before they started to make the food kids size. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless is during lunch special hours and you are not hungry. Actual size of sandwich is smaller than a can of Pepsi.

I’ve been a repeat customer here for the past 6 years even used to drive from Long Island just to get their food. Not sure what has happened but I got 1 gyro, 1 souvlaki platter, and 1 order of Greek fries for take out and it was $50 and took 30 minutes. After we ordered and paid, a group of the guy behind the grills friends came in and he decided to make all of their food and bring it to them first after we already paid and were waiting for a while. Food finally comes out after we asked them what is taking so long and the fries are so burnt they aren’t even edible. Not sure what changed but I will not be coming back, very sad.

Tried this place 2 days in a row. First day, we tried the platter for 2 people, came with pork & chicken gyro and sausage/burger version with rice and it was good. Portions can be better though. Second day, tried the Chicken gyro sandwich and they added fries. Looked pretty huge but surprisingly light and delicious! Not a pretty long wait for orders to go since they make it fresh upon ordering, the staff always greets you and have been nice and friendly!

I stopped by BZ Grill in Astoria for a quick lunch and left seriously impressed. The owner, Margarita, is a super nice, hardworking lady who clearly takes pride in her food — everything is made fresh and with care. I ordered the Bifteki Sandwich Lunch Special, which comes with fries. The bifteki (a seasoned Greek-style all-beef patty) was packed with flavor — juicy, perfectly grilled over charcoal, and I could taste a hint of cumin and other warm spices. Easily a 9/10. I also tried the kebab— a delicious mix of ground beef and lamb with Middle Eastern spices. It was tender and flavorful — a solid 8.5/10. Overall, BZ Grill is a must-try for Greek street food lovers. Great flavors, generous hospitality, and a clean, welcoming vibe. I’ll definitely be back!

Good gyro, it’s an open late spot with some sit down tables in the back. No parking for this restaurant. With so much competition in the area with Greek food, I would recommend it but don’t feel I need to necessarily go back. Little on expensive side. 4.5/5 stars

I just learned that traditional Greek gyros are made with pork and chicken and not lamb. I was also introduced to a mustard mayo sauce that is traditionally used instead of taziki. The gyro was amazing. I'll definitely be going back for more.

I was looking for a shawarma nearby, Google showed this place with a good rating. It turned out to be 12 for the chicken shawarma. The taste is about 4 points. I ate much tastier, but it's okay, it'll go when I'm hungry 😄

One of my fav go to falafel sandwiches in brooklyn and has been for years. Abdul and his team bring a lot of care and quality to all their dishes and ingredients. Exceedingly chill atmosphere and a great people watching spot in the late nights.

I’ve been coming to this place since 2009 After being out of town for three years, I came back and have to say they’ve really improved — the bread, the flavor, everything tastes better. What impressed me most is that they haven’t raised their prices at all. This is probably one of the best value shawarma spots in all of New York City. The menu is big, the portions are generous, and the prices are fair. The falafel are especially fresh and flavorful, and I also love the cheese or spinach pie.
Gianni A — Google review
Excellent shish tauk as well as a mixednpkatter entree. Also u can never go wrong with the falafel sandwiches they stuff it to the max and for 7 bucks its definitely quiet a deal in williamsburg! I definitely recommend this place for whoever is in the mood for a quick meal. It is a small restaurant with only a few tables.
Joe J — Google review
The falafel was spot on—crispy, flavorful, exactly what I wanted. But here’s the problem: I also found a used staple pin in my food. That’s not garnish, that’s a hazard. Great taste can’t excuse sloppy oversight. If you’re serving office supplies with the hummus, it’s time to rethink the operation.
Divij K — Google review
I’ve been coming to Oasis once a week for the past four years, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, the service is quick, and the staff is always warm and courteous. Their falafel sandwich is not only fantastic but also a better deal than what you’ll find at the food trucks. A true neighborhood gem!
M C — Google review
Easily one of the best falafels of my life! Falafel was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Two falafels cost only $1.50 and came with tahini for dipping. Posted prices are for cash; card subject to 3% fee. Would not recommend the zaatar bread. While the flavors are great, the bread is wrapped in clingfilm and kept under a heat lamp. While tasty, the bread was hard to chew. Overall definitely would return for a sandwich or platter. Portions were very generous.

great place, the staff is very nice and communicative, don't be afraid to ask - they give good advice!!! the place is small, but it gives the impression of space. they care about cleanliness! I ordered a kebab and I still can't believe it was so tasty!!!! no! I've eaten better in this country!!! great balance of vegetables, sauce and lamb. The meat was perfectly cooked on the grill. I will definitely come back there with my friends!!! Oh, I forgot to add that it's not expensive!

Nestled near Union Square, Rainbow Falafel has been a beloved family-run establishment since 1992, serving up delicious homemade falafel that keeps locals and visitors coming back for more. This charming little kiosk may lack the frills of a traditional restaurant—no seating or waitstaff—but it makes up for it with its mouthwatering offerings.
Really good food! The falafel‘s are amazing. Person was nice, no wait. The only thing about the atmosphere was that they were selling vapes, cigarettes and stuff IN THE FALAFEL SHOP! But that doesn’t matter, the food was delicious. Five stars.
Albert J — Google review
This little falafel shop is more of a kiosk than a restaurant. There are no seats, tables, servers, or bathrooms, only fantastic falafel (and maybe some sweets and drinks). While this small gem may be easily overlooked, it's not to be missed. The falafel platter, a personal favorite, is a delightful combination of lettuce, tomato, pickles, tahini, and a fluffy pita bread, all perfectly complementing the star of the show-the fantastic falafel. Walk across the street to Union Square Park and sit in the shade of a big tree. Just know that the squirrels love Rainbow Falafel, too, so you may have to defend your food. Enjoy!

The best felafel sandwich. Fresh veg, subtle spices, simple goodness. Served up ninja style in under 30 seconds. Joyous.

Old favorite on Union Square, have been coming here for 20+ years and it’s consistently some of the best falafel in the city, and run by a lovely family that produces a whole lot out of this sliver of a storefront on 17th between Broadway & 5th Ave. Everything is delicious including the soups, pastry, and my favorite the falafel platter, pics attached. Highly recommend.

GEM. Jewel-box of a hole-in-the-wall. Skip the big chains and support little places like this. Great food! I'd recommend a falafel or spinach pie, topped off with the baklava for dessert. Probably $9 or $10 for that highly satisfying combo. Very nice person behind the counter (directed me to the Verizon store which I could look up, because my SIM card had quit on me...)

Zooba is a vibrant eatery that brings the essence of Egyptian street food to Soho, having made its debut in September. This local outpost of a Cairo-based chain specializes in delightful bites like taameyah, which are crispy fava bean patties served in freshly baked whole-wheat pita known as baladi. The unique green hue of the taameyah comes from an aromatic blend of herbs and spices, making it a standout dish among New York's falafel offerings.
Delicious. Everything was great but the falafel and the fries absolutely stole the show. The seasoning and flavors that they use here pack quite a punch. My only complaint is the service - it felt like they were trying to get us out of our table the entire time.
Andrew L — Google review
Overall 3.5/5 Hawawshi: Original style 4.5/5. Tastes almost like Egypt. Dukka Fries: 4/5. Good fries but it definitely needs its own secret sauce to dip in and I’m sure it’ll be way better. Hawawshi with cheese: 2/5. Definitely not original but more importantly to me, the flavors didn’t meld well together and the ingredients were conflicting in my opinion. Atmosphere: Decor is a definite 5/5. Ordering on screens is a breeze. Only thing is the large front kitchen island in the middle of the place which breaks up the room. I saw a few people ask the lady at the island where to order, and where the menu is, and I understand the confusion. But it’s a cool looking place for sure. Service: the service wasn’t great but not particularly friendly both times I’ve been. But person at the island counter seemed not to be too knowledgeable about items, both with our orders and some of other customers’ questions. Kosheri: 3/5 I really wanted to love it. I ordered it once to go and had it a few hours later and enjoyed it but thought about how much better it would be fresh in the store. Second time, I ate it at the store and it tasted the same. My friend who also got kosheri had to ask for fresh onion topping since it was soggy. Also I’m used to kosheri with tomato sauce on it and this was very dry comparatively. Finally, I think they serve the kosheri “for here” in bowls but we got ours in to go cartons.

A delicious fresh "homecooked -like" fast food. It is a lighter version of American Hamburger. The wrap and filling were delicious and flavorful, the falafel tasted good and fresh, and the eggplant was good. However, the ice tea tasted funky (like bad ice tea, not sure if it was supposed to tastelike that). The staff were not attentive. It took a while after we submitted our order. There was no other order after us.

So so yummy! i've been wanting to try to this place for a while and understand now why they have solid 4.5. Cool vibes, great food, reasonable prices. Can't wait to try their other dishes. I had the meatball plate and hibiscus tea (SO good). Heavy on cumin if that's not your thing but otherwise delicious and very filling.

Overall rating: 4.4 I was very excited to try Egyptian when I found this place on Google. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I know I was hoping for unique food. I was a bit surprised when I went it was mostly a variation of halaal. I also didn’t realize the place was mostly vegetarian and think its description should be updated. I think I got the basic halal with beet and another sauce. The sauce was reallly good!! I would go back for the beet sauce. But the food ended up being a side to my beet sauce. The staff seemed very friendly but it was so bright. Wish they could lower it just a tad. If you’re a vegetarian, I think you’re going to like this place a tad more.
Olivia N — Google review
Tried the egyptian falafel and the fries. They were both great. Sometimes falafel gets a little dry in the middle but not this one which was a good change. Not sure if there were other vegan options but would definitely go back here for the falafel.

Love the new format and the food is great. As a vegetarian, I can still get my favorite spicy taameya sandwich and they’ve added some great Egyptian dishes - molokheya and Ocra. Perfect atmosphere for a fun dinner with friends or something more festive like a birthday or date. Service was top notch too.

If you are in New York, you have to go here! Easily some of the better Egyptian food I’ve had (outside of my families kitchen and Egypt). I’ve been quite a few times and the food is consistently tasty and the service is great. You have to try the sauces, they elevate every menu item. The Hawawshi is my favorite, but you can’t go wrong with anything. The fries are incredible as well; seasoned perfectly and crispy and soft at the same time.

Great for vegetarian/gluten free eaters. The server recommended options including gluten free crispy eggplant for the Sabich Salad bowl. I added the falafel which was so very good. Very tasty.
Law S — Google review
While the food is pretty good, the service, atmosphere, and price lead this to be a 4-star review. First, the food is really tasty. Everything is very mildly spiced but fresh ingredients make this taste good. The warm pita bread they serve plates with are also extremely delicious (soft and flavorful). Service is ok - staff aren’t friendly, just terse. Atmosphere is also ok - not much seating and not the cleanest. Lastly, price is way overinflated from what it should be. A pita sandwich is very small and shouldn’t be $13 ($16 after tax/tip). And the bowls start at $17 ($21 after tax/tip)! Both of these prices need to drop at least three dollars before it is reasonable compared to other restaurants in the surrounding area.
Gourmand — Google review
I had the falafel pita and it was absolutely delicious! Exactly what I needed on a rainy afternoon and well worth the half hour walk to get there. If only I was in New York for longer I’d be back to try the eggplant and cauliflower shawarma options. I would’ve liked a bit more spice in it, but that’s neither here nor there. There’s minimal seating inside (enough for 8 people) and a small outdoor seating area too. Definitely a place you should try whether you’re vegan or not.

Azuri Cafe is a compact counter-service spot that offers low-priced falafel and other Israeli dishes. Despite its simple interior, the kosher eatery serves knock-out food with a focus on vegetarian options. The cozy atmosphere, oldies station on the radio, and friendly service make it a great place for lunch or a date. Customers praise the reasonable prices and fast, friendly service.
I love meat. Right there, from the start I must say that I enjoy eating meat as often as possible. However, regardless of how much I enjoy eating meat, I do have a soft spot for sushi, houmus, falafel, labneh and other vegetarian dishes. When I booked my trip in New York I started looking for places to eat, places I wouldn’t spend a fortune in since the trip was pricey enough already. Upon finding a very well written article about New York cheap eats I have decided to try a few of them, places I found close to my accommodation or close to the sights I wanted to check in New York. So on this list, very close to my accommodation, at number 15 sat Azuri Café so I decided to give it a try one day since the author said in his article “The falafels are acknowledged some of the best in town”. Right now, from the start, after tasting hundreds of falafels in many places in the world I can say that the falafels are simply delicious. Hands down the best falafels I have ever eaten in my life. Due to respect to the owner, Mr. Cohen, and his delicious food I won’t treat this review as I usually do but rather I will tell it like a story, as it happened. Azuri Café is situated in Hell’s Kitchen at 465W, 51ST street and if there is one thing you should know about Hell’s Kitchen is that is full with restaurants. All kind of restaurants from Chinese to Romanian, from Russian to Thai. Azuri Café is not a big place. A small entrance, a few small tables and behind the counter mister Ezra Cohen, the man who I can say makes the best falafel in the world. It is a rare thing for me to get so enthusiastic about food, even though I love to eat, but this place really deserves the praise. I have eaten falafel before, many times, and I have been more or less content with my choices. However in my opinion no place goes near Azuri Café’s falafel. This is the place in which I have eaten three times during my time in New York and fell in love with the food. The texture, the taste, the ingredients, they all taste different and they blend together giving the falafel and other dishes too a unique taste. Many people would say that the place is small but I found this to be charming as well. Each time I went there I took my time and enjoyed the food but also enjoyed talking to Mr. Cohen. Romania, my home country, being close to Israel we took our time and shared ideas, memories, impressions about the countries, the food, the warm climate of Israel and talked about New York city and of course the falafel. I told him exactly the differences between the falafels tasted at home and he pointed out to his falafel in the end me recognizing that his was the best falafel I have ever tasted. You can see it easily. The passion for his food and the pride he takes into making this delicious dishes. If you have the time to speak with him, grab the chance. Many people upon entering a restaurant only have eyes for the food but sometimes you are lucky. Sometimes you meet a man like Ezra Cohen, on a lazy, sunny November afternoon and that encounter gives you memories for a lifetime. Most of the times I travel alone. And I am always happy when I meet people, interesting people, people that love what they do, people who share memories and moments. Since November 2017 I only tasted falafel once, out of curiosity. And it was…decent. You may call me crazy but some dishes, some foods you remember for a long time. Just like I remember the magnificent restaurant in Athens or the pesto pasta in Vernazza, Azuri Café is a place I will hold in my memory for a long time. Since this is New York and his place is really, really well known you would expect higher prices but I, as a budget traveler, was happy to see that great, delicious food sometimes comes with a small bill. In the end I can only say one thing: regardless of the area you are accommodated in New York this place deserves a visit. You will not be disappointed. Until next time Mr. Cohen!

Fantastic, low-key spot for Israeli food. The falafel was excellent, but so was everything else! Wonderfully fresh and flavorful salads and side dishes made for a filling meal at a bargain price. The restaurant is small, but the staff is so friendly eating here feels like a meal at your grandparent's house. Highly recommend a visit... I'll be going back soon.

Lovely kosher eatery. The atmosphere is of an old, well loved, hole in the wall restaurant. There's 4 tables good for 10 people or so to sit, and an oldies station on the radio makes this place cozy. Great for lunch or perhaps a date. I wouldn't trust it for a group larger than 2 unless ordering out. The guy behind the counter was friendly and genuine. Prices were reasonable, ~$8-$12 depending on if you're just getting just a sandwich or a deluxe plate. The food was awesome: high quality foods make for delicious meals. As a small kosher deli, I have no complaints. 5 out of 5

The food was AMAZING! The prices were reasonable and the service was fast and friendly. I drove all the way from Georgia to NYC and was pleased to find such a great place to eat whike I was here. I would make that 900 mile drive just to get some more of their dried fruit deserts! The gyro pita is the best I have ever had! Everything was so fresh and tasty- you can tell they are very good at what they do and pit a lot of care into their work!

Very good place. Great hummus and Falafel but the owner was rude to me.I really liked the food, so I decided to order take out and while paying my check asked for another order. The owner answer to me was "I don't have time for you now, come later." I was literally shocked and wished him to have a great day.

you go here for the food, and the fascinating (not ingratiating, but certainly prideful) personality of its proprietor. never disappointing. the best falafel and meat pies in the city, and the chicken liver platter is unbelievably tasty. this is not a tablecloth and white glove place, and carry out is often preferred (the place is tiny with but a few tables). one of my citywide favorites.

Alfanoose is a casual halal lunch counter that offers Lebanese dishes like falafel and kebabs, attracting a diverse crowd. The place is known for its delicious and filling lamb kafta sandwich with juicy, tender meat and creamy tahini sauce. It's a great spot for lunch around Seaport without the tourist crowds.
Top five in New York falafel. The food is authentic -- mujaddara, kofta, and all those other words you still mangle -- and beautifully spiced. Where some cooks disguise their pedestrian fare with a douse of beige sauce, this falafel has nothing to hide, with fluffy pitas, non-greasy chickpea balls and a nice assortment of vegetables. Nice decor and really nice people too.

I like Alfanoose. I tried their lunch lamb kafta sandwich and it is a winner. The meat is juicy, tender and I love their seasoning and all the nice creamy Tahini sauce on top. It is one filling sandwich and it is never too crowded where you have to fight for a table. This is a great lunch place around Seaport and you could avoid tourists here for sure.

Ordered Lamb shawarma (Ticket 42 on 10/23/2015). Expectation was real lamb - hot & cut in slices like all shawarmas should be but found cold sandwich with tough meet. It was too late to return cause I opened it in office 15 minutes away. Cost $8.66.

Rude and unfriendly service. Been there two times. Both times sucked. Ordered tea and coffee, paid for it, it took them forever to make it and we had to leave because our time was up. So i left even without arguing with them. Second time went there ordered kibbeh, paid, sat and waited, then the girl said they have no more kibbeh. I was going to take my money back but didn't want to make a big deal out of it so ordered something else. The girl kept insisting twice that i take falafel i told her i don't want it. The guy who works there is very unfriendly. Acts like he is doing a huge favor for you. Pitas are cold like they are taken right out of fridge and not fresh. Will never go there again. The food is subpar. This place is NOT recommended.

Lunch winner. Shish kebab platter - juicy soft flavorful lamb, chunky smoky baba ganoush, mojadara with some veggies and topped with caramelized onions, the sauces... It's a generous portion, good for two meals, but so good it's hard to stop at a half plate!
Svetlana D — Google review
Lamb shawarma, hummus, falafel were excellent. Pita was a bit stiff (microwaved?). Overall very good, and I would go back.

The food there is great. I loved how the garlic potatoes were rich in flavor and so was the meat. I can't wait to go again, definitely looking forward for it.

Be aware that the rotating grill is fake and that your meat has been pre-cut and warmed up. The meat is tasty but tough.

Fast food restaurant
The Halal Guys is an iconic food vendor in mid-town Manhattan, NYC, known for its delicious chicken, gyros, and falafel platters. What started as a humble food cart on 53rd street and 6th avenue over 30 years ago has now expanded into a global brand with over a hundred locations worldwide. The owners initially catered to Muslim cab drivers who had limited options for halal food in New York City.
Best Food Truck Stall in New York 🗽. They serve excellent bowls of deliciousness. ❤️ The portions were super generous and Their signature sauces were Packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. Queues can get a bit large but it’s worth the wait. The staff are super friendly. They manage the queue super well and work incredibly fast. Overall, it was a great experience. I think If you’re in New York, The Halal Guys is a Must Try ❤️.
Haider I — Google review
Yes, this is the place. I’ve been a regular since 2019 and it has never disappointed. The chicken is always fresh and perfectly cooked, and the famous hot sauce (handle with caution!) is what truly makes the flavor unforgettable. I could have it any day! On my recent visit after a couple of years, I tried the fries—they’re a nice addition but could use some seasoning. Still, the overall experience is consistently excellent, and it’s absolutely worth standing in line. Highly recommend!
Sameer M — Google review
I’ve heard about Halal Guys for many years, and food blogs always said it was good, but I’m usually not the type of person to go for this kind of food. Today, I finally decided to give it a try—I just wanted to know the taste. I was surprised at how good it was! I ordered the combo with chicken and BBQ ck, topped with white and red sauce. The sauces were flavorful—the red sauce was very spicy, but I could handle it. I will definitely come back again. I also noticed another halal place next door, but I chose Halal Guys because of the longer line, and it turned out to be worth it. The location is convenient, right across from the Hilton Hotel.
G 3 — Google review
The Halal Guys are a true NYC staple — iconic, really. It’s still one of the best food buys out there, though the quality has been somewhat inconsistent since Covid. Funny enough, I recently had the most authentic Halal Guys experience at their Orlando branch. It may not be exactly what it once was (and it’s definitely no longer $7), but it remains beyond solid. On its good days, it’s still the best.
Richard Y — Google review
I tried The Halal Guys from their street food cart in NYC, and honestly, it’s unbeatable for the price. Huge portions, great flavor, and super satisfying. The chicken and gyro meat were both tender and perfectly seasoned — they go so well with the rice. The white sauce is creamy and rich, and the hot sauce packs serious heat 🔥 but in the best way. If you want a filling, tasty meal in New York without breaking the bank, this is the spot. Totally worth the line!
Chanil J — Google review
I’ve been a loyal customer of this place for a while now. However, during my recent visit to the area, I decided to try their new Spicy BBQ Chicken Platter. Naturally, I asked for a generous amount of white sauce. The taste and flavor were simply amazing. I can’t imagine going back to anything else from this place for quite some time, as I’ll be craving the Spicy BBQ Chicken every time. I must admit, it was a bit too spicy for my taste, but the white sauce saved the day.
Kaustav B — Google review
Definitely worthy food delivery. I tried the platter and sandwich, and the chicken& fafafel platter is my favorite. However, I underestimated the hot sauce. It says very spicy but I don’t believe it, put 2 whole packs. Then I realized it wasn’t a lie and the white sauce can be my only choice. Again, I will recommend the platter to everyone.
Siye T — Google review
At some point I think New York was mainly hot dog carts. Now, it’s all halal carts. This Yellow shirt classic food stand has been there since 1990. Now this stand typically as a line. They have another stand right across the street. So the concept here is platters. As street food- you have chicken, beef, falafel as options. For my vegetarians, the falafel is made in a separate cart so it can be separated from the chicken and beef. Its made fresh so I had a wait. They came out with 12 piping hot falafels and it was worth it. For the platters you get rice, vegetables and then your protein. In my case, 6 piping hot falafels. On top of it is pita bread and then white and red sauce. The white sauce is a lovely blend of mayonnaise and yogurt. A perfect blending of Mediterranean and American cultures. The red sauce is spicy and should be taken in limited quantities. If you get this to go, they wrap it up for you and put it in a bag. We walked back to the hotel and our food had stayed warm. The rice was flavorful, and the veggies and falafel. Combined with the white and red sauce this was a perfect meal. It cost me $12 + tax. They take cash and card. This line I can be long but what I know is that it’s worth it.

Barney Greengrass, a renowned Jewish deli institution since 1908, is located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan. It has been serving uptown residents and tourists with its high-quality smoked fish and traditional Jewish fare for over a century. The deli, known for not accepting credit cards, moved to its current location in 1929 and has become a staple in the neighborhood's rich Jewish heritage.
An old New York classic breakfast spot with a variety of breakfast cured fishes, prepared either as a breakfast sandwich, platter, or with eggs. I’d recommend a breakfast sandwich, which is the most economical, and the white fish salad as the fish. There’s often a line to get in, but it moves at a decent speed.
Matt B — Google review
No doubt this is an institution been around since early 1908 and they moved from original Harlem to Upper west. You walk in and it’s just a quintessential hustle bustle NYC fish focused deli. **it’s cash ONLY They feature mainly salted fish from sturgeon to salmon etc.. pair that with a bagel and you are set for a solid breakfast. The potato puffers are good even having come from Germany. They are crisp on the outside golden and softy and doughy with the balanced acidity it needs. As far as value for what it is it’s terrible and priced up there. 2 bagel combos, 1 potato puffer, 2x OJ you’re looking at 109$ without tip.
Jean D — Google review
Cash only historical fish spot with a pretty extensive menu. Really good bites and no frills setting. Got the nova with an everything bagel appetizer as my main and it was honestly the best nova I’ve ever had. Bright, flavorful, but not too fishy. Plenty of cream cheese and extras to dress my bites with. TBH it was so good that it may have ruined all other nova for me. My husband got the scrambled eggs and sturgeon and he loved it too. Perfect amount of saltiness. The everything bagels were also solid. Definitely get the potato pancakes, they’re puffy and crispy with plenty of sour cream and applesauce. It’s pricier than some other spots but for me, the quality of the fish was markedly better which made it worth it to me.

Unreal incredible food. The lox here is melt in your mouth good. The babka is perfect, soft and doughy. The latkes taste like your grandma made it in the back. Great service.
Ad Z — Google review
An old New York gem—Barney Greengrass is the real deal. Charming dining room, incredibly welcoming and engaging staff, and the best smoked fish in the city. Bagels, pastries, and fresh-squeezed OJ are all top-notch. A true institution and a joy every time.

Amazing smoked fish! Loved the sable. Overall very satisfying breakfast/lunch. I did feel that the bagels could’ve been better, but that could be personal preference. Still a good breakfast

Cash only on weekends; cards accepted on weekdays. Classic Jewish appetizing shop full of history and delicious bagels! The Nova Scotia salmon was top notch and the latkes were crispy and huge. Service is no frills and mildly abrasive. Prices are steep but where aren’t prices steep in Manhattan?

Dirt Candy is a stylish restaurant that exclusively serves vegetarian dishes and classic cocktails. The establishment aims to make vegetables appealing by offering innovative creations inspired by various cuisines from around the world. Instead of typical chips and dips, they offer leafy greens dipped into aioli or bagna cauda. Owner Amanda Cohen opened the restaurant in 2008 to explore the diverse flavors of vegetables, creating a seasonal tasting menu that showcases new edible inventions.
The tasting menu was absolutely fantastic. Every dish was very flavorful and we also got two extra courses from the kitchen. My favorites were the lettuce dessert and the peas pastry though everything was very tasty. The desert sunrise drink is a must try if you are interested in something unique. The atmosphere was very good and the waitstaff was very fast in replacing the cutlery and plates after every course. If you like vegetables and want to try something unique Dirt candy is a must visit. Loved it!

We have been to Dirt Candy four times, and every visit has been nothing less than outstanding. The fully vegetarian tasting menu is incredibly creative, beautifully presented, and always packed with flavor. It’s a place where both vegetarians and meat eaters can enjoy an inventive, satisfying meal. The pacing of the courses is perfect, with each dish building on the last without ever feeling rushed. The staff is warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, which makes the whole experience fun and memorable. Dirt Candy continues to surprise us with thoughtful dishes and unexpected flavor combinations, and it remains one of the best dining experiences in New York. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable night out.

Went for a birthday treat, the atmosphere, staff and most importantly the food - left me speechless. Salivating in anticipation of the next course, flavour combinations, with beautiful colours and textures. All the staff were beyond friendly and were happy to engage with us, the vibe was so relaxing and welcomeing. Hands-down one of my most memorable and enjoyable meals to date. Worth every penny (sorry, dollar)

I posted a video review on YouTube (search for Sodafry and Dirt Candy), but this was an awesome experience. I'm not a vegetarian, but the menu is so creative and delicious. I never felt like I was missing meat. I took my teenagers with me and with a little preparation they had a great time. A highlight for me was the green bean pasta dish on the summer menu and the carrot tamal.
Daryl A — Google review
Amazing food all around, would 10/10 recommend going for a milestone celebration like anniversary or a birthday dinner. Definitely opt in for their wine pairing option, you won’t regret it. They not only handpick their wines but also pair those superbly with their food. My favorites dishes were hands down their dessert - which was an avocado dallop of ice cream with an egg cream and tortilla chips followed by their thai lasagna and then their onion tart, in that order. I’m so glad I chose this place for my first Michelin Star restaurant experience!
Aniket F — Google review
I came here for the first time a few days after the launch of their summer menu. As soon as you walk in you are greeted warmly and attended to promptly by a variety of staff the rest of your time there. The food and wine pairing was exceptional. For each dish you are told the story and intent, before being treated to a sensory treat. The dishes had variety of textures and flavors and the experience was well worth the price Definitely recommend!
Rob K — Google review
This was above and beyond what I was expecting as I knew little about Dirty Candy going in. The vegetables shined in every way. There were salty, sweet, smokey, deliciously oily, and sometimes pungent. More sensations than most would expect from only earth grown ingredients. Tomato Twinkies will bring you back to your childhood while a rolled and grilled string bean pasta will give you new perceptions on what a long grain can be. Zucchini flowers with a tangy cream filling and sunflower array was fresh metaphorically and on the pallet. Along with the food, the service and vibe was energetic, inviting and caring. Small conversation with the staff made it obvious they care about what they do and are passionate. They'll also convey this with several gifts throughout as meal.
Wes P — Google review
Was treated here by my partner for my birthday. He had managed to squeeze in a reservation at 9:30 PM, and the restaurant was still very lively when we arrived. We never felt rushed. We sat on bar-style seating, which I ended up loving because we got a better view of the food being prepared. The atmosphere was very comforting -- warm lighting, not too noisy. The staff were so lovely and brought a playful energy. And of course, the food was awesome. It is truly a vegetable restaurant, with each course spotlighting a different kind. I loved that the flavors and textures were being explored so deeply through this approach, and it made me rethink the "mold" that each vegetable fits into in terms of how it's prepared, what it's paired with, etc. We are looking forward to coming back and trying new seasonal and off-menu dishes!

Absolutely amazing food. Quick service! Many vegetarian and gluten free options. We ordered the mezze and the hummus mushrooms with an extra side of pita and it was enough for 3 people. Well priced as well. Highly recommend if you’re vegetarian or gluten free!

I got the hummus platter to go. It was a large portion of hummus, with four different toppings, all of which were delicious. I think the mushroom was my favorite. It came with 2 pita, and the pitas were very fluffy and soft. However, 2 was not enough for this much hummus, so I wish I had gotten some extra pitas.

didn’t really enjoy the hummus - tasted way too earthy. Falafel was average at best, it pretty much crumbled up when I tried to pick it up. pita was soft and chewy, and portions are huge for what you’re paying though

We went to this place after a good walk in Central Park. It’s 10 min walk from west side of CP. The food was amazing with everything felt super fresh and delicious. We tried the hummus platter and all of the different hummus varieties tasted amazing. Falafel were soft and fresh from inside. Would definitely recommend this place!

Never been to this place before even though it is walking distance from my home. Perhaps the fact that they are located in a basement made me overlook this hidden, small, warm and casual place. My visit was to order hummus and pita to go however, and I left impressed by their menu. The food was delicious. I have eaten in a few Mediterranean places in the area, Yasouvlaki, Ella and Miriam, and let me tell you that this hummus was better. Creamy, tasteful and the right texture. Whenever you are in the Upper West Side, pay them a visit and enjoy. Naya is a modern Lebanese restaurant that beautifully marries traditional flavors with a sleek, futuristic ambiance. Located in various spots around the city, including a striking all-white venue in Midtown, it offers an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of dining in the future. The menu features beloved Lebanese classics like hommus, jawaneh (sautéed chicken wings), and daoud basha (lamb meatballs), alongside their standout shawarma roll made with grass-fed beef.
The most cost effective lunch spot in this neighborhood. I have been ordering a salad bowl with chicken ($14) for my lunch. If you use their app to order, you can get your food relatively fast (usually under 10-15 mins) and accumulate their rewards. You can dine in but the sitting area is pretty tight. People usually stand around the dining area waiting for their food. I would recommend take-out.

This charming eatery, whose name means "orchard" in Hebrew, stands out among Manhattan's Middle Eastern offerings by focusing on authenticity and tradition. The talented Israeli chef with Moroccan heritage skillfully blends flavors from various cultures including Italy, France, Spain, Morocco, Greece, and Turkey.
Everything about this place is just right! The decor and atmosphere, the service, and the menu, which offers a variety of things to meet a variety of needs. The only thing that took a little effort was finding items on the menu that are nondairy (it seems like lots of things have dairy in them one way or another). My companion and I really enjoyed the appetizers and entrées we ordered (mine was a fish dish made under a dome of bread) and after going to Bustan several times, I can confidently say that it is consistently excellent.

My first time trying israeli food, I would say it’s pretty similar to other mediterranean food. We ordered the spicy feta, roasted eggplant, pita bread and the lamb kebab. Just went for restaurant week and it was great! The food was delicious and plentiful. Loved the fried cauliflower. It was tender in the inside and crispy on the outside. This probably is my favorite restaurant of all time anywhere it is absolutely top-notch Arabic food and every dish tastes as good or better than my grandmother would make it and that’s about the highest compliment I can give….. super fresh super healthy. Every dish is a masterpiece.

This place was there on my list for a while and finally went there to celebrate my birthday. We drove down from Philly and called a few hours in advance and made the reservation. It was easy to find street parking. We were seated promptly and the food arrived quickly too. Food was good but not outstanding. Service was great and the owners were very warm. Definitely worth a try.

A delicious dinner in a neighborhood gem! The service was welcoming and friendly and the decor was the right mix of casual, homey AND elegant. That second part is harder to achieve than you think. Food was delicious. Half our group had the mint iced tea and the other half had the hibiscus iced tea (I can vouch that the hibiscus was great - both are unsweetened FYI). We started with the fried cauliflower steak appetizer (must get) and the special fried haloumi and watermelon salad (very delicious). We shared the Kibbie Jazariyyeh (a beef and carrot stew with kibbe - phenomenal!); chicken Fetti (like a pilaf and my favorite entree. The portion size on this could feed three easily.); and the Baked Kafta Tahini (ok...unanimously our least favorite entree of the evening). Definitely get the labeneh if available or the yogurt side - elevated every dish. We ended with the knafeh which was solid. It's far out, but worth it!
Lisa W — Google review
The best kanafeh in NYC - worth the trek to brooklyn - you should go! Other dishes that were great include the grilled meats, Fetti with extra harissa, and musakhan. Get the labne it's also so good! But the cocktails are not it - but really this is a Palestinian restaurant...they're not cocktail experts.

We’ve been going here for years and really do love their food, but the service feels rushed. They run the food out before you even have your drinks. I will take it to go, but not for a sit down dinner. Food is consistently delicious though!
Anna F — Google review
I brought my parents and extended family here today and everything we had was so outrageously good! We got the musakkhan and halloumi pie appetizers - excellent. For entrees we got mixed kabobs, lamb shank, and chicken fetti - so so good. And of course knafeh for dessert it was the best we ever had. The staff is incredible and so hospitable as well. We will definitely be back soon <3

Nestled in Downtown Brooklyn, Bedouin Tent Restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere along with delectable Middle Eastern cuisine. The family-owned establishment serves up fresh pita bread straight from the oven, alongside an array of dishes such as falafel sandwiches, lamb merguez, spinach and cheese pie, lentil specialties, and flavorful hummus. Visitors can expect authentic flavors crafted by a Jordanian family, with an emphasis on using proper amounts of spice and flavor.
In 1980, I went to Israel, Jordan, and Egypt. While on that journey, I saw many Bedouin Tents. In Jordan, I saw people throwing wheat into the air and then making bread. So, before I entered the Bedouin Tent, I already had an image of this restaurant. It is rather small inside, with outside seating in the back. The patrons are incredibly ethnically diverse, which really adds to the atmosphere. The wait staff is amazing. So friendly and engaging. They really work as a team. The Kitchen is open in he front as you walk in. You can watch them make the fresh pita. We ordered Hummus with Pitas, Falafel and a Pizza with Lamb. I had and Iced tea with a swig of Mint leaf. The Hummus is amazing, creamy and smooth. The Falafel is light and so tasty. I did not know what to expect with the Lamb Pizza. The crust is very thin and crispy and the lamb is a paste. It was so delicious. For dessert, we had Baklava with Turkish Coffee. Incredible combination.... The bill was very inexpensive and we were really full. This was an amazing experience for us. What a great place!!!

Love this place! Found this spot when walking by on Atlantic avenue and the smell coming out of the restaurant was divine. Decided to stop and eat for lunch. My usual here is the sun-dried tomato pitza and my partner loves the lambajin pitza. The salad platter is great as well since you can mix and match 5 of their salads. Service is quick. There is seating both inside and outside in the back which is covered. If you are in the Atlantic avenue area...you must try!

When you first walk in the restaurant looks more like a take out place but there's charming decor in the back and a cute outdoor space, though it could use some fans. The service is friendly and attentive but we had to ask for appetizers to be brought out first before the mains. The food is good and tastes home made. The pizza was great, nice crust, spicy with merguez sausage. The ouzi was interesting but the chicken was severely overcooked.

Bedouin Tent – A Cozy Middle Eastern Gem on Atlantic Avenue Bedouin Tent is a charming, on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, well known for its comforting Middle Eastern cuisine and unexpectedly popular pizzas. It’s one of those neighborhood spots that feels authentic and welcoming, with a laid-back atmosphere that makes you want to linger. Atmosphere & Setting From the outside, the restaurant looks small and unassuming, with just a few tables in the main room and an open kitchen where you can see the cooks at work. The real surprise, however, is the backyard garden, which offers a much larger seating area. Decorated with vibrant Middle Eastern fabrics and colorful touches, it has an intimate, cozy feel that many diners love. Especially on warmer days. Service Guests are generally welcomed warmly and treated like regulars, even on a first visit. The service is straightforward and friendly, with staff happy to answer questions about the menu. While it’s not a formal dining experience, the hospitality is genuine, and small touches, like being offered complimentary mint tea at the end of the meal, make the visit memorable. Menu & Food The menu is not overly large, but it offers a well-balanced variety of sandwiches, soups, pizzas, and traditional Middle Eastern plates. Lamb Shoulder Plate: A standout dish, served with fragrant rice, hummus, or baba ghanoush (you can get both for a small extra charge). The lamb is thinly sliced and cooked through, perhaps a bit well done for some palates, but tender and flavorful for those who prefer it that way. The rice is spiced just right, making the plate hearty and satisfying. The hummus and baba ghanoush are different from the Turkish or Persian versions, earthy, smokier, and distinctive in flavor. Fans of Mediterranean food will notice the difference, but many find it refreshing and enjoyable, fresh pita bread baked in-house and perfect for scooping up dips as served with the dish. Pizza: One of the restaurant’s surprises is its pizza menu. The shrimp and tomato pizza stands out, generously topped and layered with a flavorful sauce. The crust is a matter of taste, those who like it thin and crispy Italian-style may find it softer than expected, while others love its texture and flavor. Either way, it’s a unique offering that blends Mediterranean flavors with a classic comfort food. Overall Experience Dining at Bedouin Tent is not just about the food, but also about the ambiance and authenticity. It feels like a neighborhood staple where friends and families gather. The portions are generous, the prices reasonable, and the backyard setting makes it feel almost like a hidden oasis on Atlantic Avenue. Final Thoughts Our experience was excellent. We came in for a late lunch before heading to a show at the Beacon Theatre, and Bedouin Tent turned out to be a perfect stop, warm hospitality, flavorful food, and a relaxed vibe. With its combination of traditional Middle Eastern dishes and unique pizzas, it’s the kind of place worth returning to, whether for a casual meal or to introduce friends to something a little different.

The second I walked into this place, I knew it was going to be legit as the smell took me back to my childhood. The real standouts here are the flatbreads, as they are baked fresh per order. The lamb leg sandwich was pretty good but the bread tasted a bit chewy and dense, but that could be because I took it to go. I’ll definitely be coming back to this spot to try more of their flatbreads
Abdullah — Google review
Really delicious meal. The spinach cheese pie is a must have. Perfect ratio of spinach to cheese. Sadly there are no schwarmas only pita wraps. The chicken sandwich was solid and I would order it again. The outside patio has a very comfortable and lovely atmosphere.
Julia S — Google review
Had my birthday dinner at Bedouin Tent and it could not have been better. The food was so good, the service was amazing, and the ambiance was perfect. The back room is such a great spot for gathering with friends. Honestly this is the best spot in downtown BK and I couldn’t recommend it enough.
Mariel P — Google review
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I was truly disappointed with my order. I paid $40 for a chicken plate and a falafel plate, and what I received was BEYOND underwhelming. The chicken amounted to about eight small nuggets, and the falafel came with only three pieces. Both plates included just a small scoop of hummus and some wilted lettuce. I had asked for extra hummus since I don’t eat pita, and while they said they would accommodate, it seemed more like the portions were reduced instead. At any middle eastern restaurant I’ve ever dined at they pride themselves on their food and give heavy portions. I wasn’t expecting a heavy portion but when I hear “plate” I expect a plate, not an appetizer. The flavor was fine, but the portions and value are unacceptable for the price. I would like this to be rectified to change my review.

Nestled in a cozy brick-walled space, Manousheh Bleecker is a delightful eatery that brings the vibrant flavors of Lebanese cuisine to life. Originally starting as a popular stall at Smorgasburg, this charming spot has made its mark with an array of freshly baked flatbreads, both savory and sweet. Guests can indulge in their signature breakfast flatbread topped with delicious options like akkawi cheese, za'atar spices, or even ground beef for those craving something hearty.
It's a tiny little lebanese bakery that's stands tall among all other bakeries! As soon as you walk in the smell of the dough and the bakery will take you back to your childhood (if you grew up earing lebanese pies for brekafast). The pies were amazing. The service was great, very authentic lebanese pies (manaeesh) we had the cheese, the meat and the one and only zaatar (thyme) this is my 2nd time here and whenever I visit NYC I make it a point to stop by. The bakery is super cool 😎 it has this feeling of being outside of New york, and back in Lebanon 🇱🇧 the music they play just the whole thing for me it was amazing.

This is a no frill, traditional Betuti family owned restaurant. They make lebaneese brick oven bread with middle eastern spices in olive oil like Zaatar. It takes amazing and so fresh. They have 2 stores and this one is just good for grabbing a quick bit for a very reasonable price. I tried the Zaatar bread with pickles, olives and hummus and it was just amazing!

I absolutely love this place! The staff are wholesome and bubbly. They’re fun to converse with and learn about too! And the whole place feels lively and friendly. I love the rustic aesthetic of the place along with the Lebanese and Arabic touches. The place also smells heavenly at times from the baking and Arabic coffee. I tried their spinach fatayer and akawe cheese manaeesh and they both exceeded my expectations! The cheese manaeesh was oozing with gooey warm stretchy akawe cheese that warms your heart on chilly days! And the spinach fatayer was first, HUGE, and second, very savory and slightly tangy inside. Literally mouthwatering. This is a lovely place with lovely people. And if you’re craving maneesh or feeling a bit homesick and nostalgic towards Levantine food, this place is perfect. Must try visiting with friends, nibbling on manaeesh, and watching people walking on Bleecker street.

Found a Lebanese gem in NYC. I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic manouche place, and it instantly felt like a home away from home. The service was impeccable, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere in this cozy establishment. Their commitment to authenticity was evident, and the wide-ranging menu left me spoiled for choice. I couldn't resist trying the zaatar, cheese pies, and spinach fatayar, and each bite was a mouthwatering revelation. To complement these delectable treats, I opted for a side of labne (yogurt) dip, which added a delightful creaminess to the meal. The pies, in particular, were a standout, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. Overall, my experience at this manouche place was nothing short of amazing. If you're looking for a genuine taste of Middle Eastern cuisine served with exceptional hospitality, this place is a must-visit. I can't wait to be back!

I got a lamb wrap, kinda dry and meat was lacking juiciness. The place had an authentic feel from the look to the music. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I guess I just wasn’t a big fan of the food I got there

Love this place! If you are in the mood for Lebanese food this is the spot! Located on bleeker st. not far from the NYU area. You can order a snack or have a meal either way it won't disappoint. They have a nice small outside seating area. Always fresh!
Fady K — Google review
The near 5 star rating is deceiving especially if you're someone really interested in actual Lebanese food. The atmosphere is also deceiving, it has the appearance of authenticity but that's exactly where it ends. With the above out of the way, this is just "an okay" place to come if you'd like something quick and different. Again, I wouldn't exactly call the menu authentic, my best description of the food here is: "Okay Mediterranean street food". Also a good spot to pick up your order and go. I can see this being a popular restaurant for NYU students studying in the area with limited experience in Lebanese food and culture. The owner of this establishment also seems to keep a staff of young locals who know very little about the food they are serving, they also keep a playlist (killing a Lebanese vibe) of hip-hop and R&B tracks to occupy their minds while they work through their shifts.

Sido Falafel & More is a small Middle Eastern eatery located in New York City, offering authentic Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on vegetarian options. The restaurant is known for its must-try falafel, featuring a crispy exterior and soft, flavorful interior. Customers praise the fresh souvlaki sandwiches and falafel platters as quick and tasty meal options. Despite its basic appearance, the establishment has sidewalk seating and friendly staff.
I stopped by to get a quick bite. Bought their lamb sandwich and it was delicious. Right amount of meat, veggies and sauce combination. People that work there are very nice and appreciative. I enjoyed my meal, would recommend for anyone and will definitely stop by again when I am in the area.

My friend and I stopped by after a very long day of touring the city. The food was absolutely delicious. We had a little bit of everything. the falafel was excellent, along with the fattoush. It's definitely a must for our future visits in the area.
Cristina — Google review
TL;DR: Sido is great. For the more invested reader, as I write, I am eating falafel sandwich from Sido and it is absolutely delicious. When falafel is good it's so good, and Sido's is SO GOOD: moist, crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside (as opposed to crumbly), and perfectly seasoned. The sandwich has lovely fresh vegetables, great tahini, and delicious hot sauce all of which work really well together. Besides the falafel, I also recommend the chicken kebab sandwich which is as fresh and tasty as what I describe above, and with which you get a free falafel - look in your bag! - and now we're back where we started!

The most delicious lamb shawarma gyro I have ever eaten! Full of vegetables and tender meat. Excellent sauces and truly original flavors. Lamb meat soft and very tasty. Outstanding service, tables also outside. A must visit place in the heart of Manhattan with a flavor of this Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine that is also affordable. I highly recommend.

Found this amazing vegan friendly place accidentally as we were getting hungry and walking by. Ordered falafel sandwiches and fries 🍟. So tasty that we ordered two more sandwiches to go! And fries were one of the best I have ever tried in any of the counties I’ve been! Staff is very friendly and so swift at what they do! 5 stars ⭐️ are not enough to rate them! Moshe’s falafel is a popular and long-standing kosher food stand located in Midtown Manhattan. Despite its unassuming appearance, it offers high-quality falafels, couscous, hummus plates, and tossed salads. The menu includes vegetarian options without onion and garlic to accommodate dietary restrictions. Customers praise the generous portion sizes and fresh, delicious falafels. Although some feel that the quantity of falafels could be more substantial, the overall taste is highly regarded.
Great falafel. Quick service and nice people. Tell them what you want inside the pita.
Guy E — Google review
I love falafel but this just wasn't very good. The falafel was almost like a french fry -- it didn't have much flavor and really relied on the fried exterior. The pickle it came with was pretty lousy. I didn't think the veggies were that good either. Sauce: The hot sauce it came with was vinegar based which just didn't vibe with the falafel taste. A pepper based hot sauce would be much better. There also wasn't much humus or tahini, both of which could improve the quality. It was also pretty expensive for a food truck. $11 for a small pita. I can get a full platter for less. Service was great, seems to be popular.

what an exciting treat to have the truck upstate for the summer. we loved the convenience of getting the tasty falafel from the truck when it came to our colony just in time for the 9 days!!!! cant wait to visit the store when we get back to the city.
G W — Google review
Yesterday we decided to try this place after a new client recommended it, saying they had great falafel. We usually get our falafel at the corner of 6th Avenue and 23rd Street — we’ve been going there for years and it’s always delicious. We expect falafel to have that juicy, fresh flavor, with chickpeas, herbs, a pleasant texture — not crumbly, not overcooked, and definitely not dry. Unfortunately, the falafel here was the opposite — overcooked and dry, as if it had been sitting in a deep fryer for too long. The price was low, but the overall set was unimpressive — no napkins, no forks, no utensils of any kind. The sauce was so unpleasant that we threw it away. The pickled cucumber was tiny, barely the size of a pinky finger
Max N — Google review
Don't be fooled by the photos (obviously posted by the owner). I ordered a falafel sandwich and it had a single french fry, half a pickle, and some very sad iceburg lettuce. The falafel is yellow inside, indicating that they don't use any herbs in the mix, so it tastes very bland. Nothing to see here folks, move along. 😑
Michael P — Google review
Don't judge a book by its cover!!! It might seem like a regular food truck but it's not. They have one of the best Falafel in the town. I tried their whole falafel and was full after one. They serve vegetarian falafel, plus it doesn't even contain Onion and Garlic which makes it a go-to place for people with dietary restrictions. They will either take cash or Zelle (have to pay a dollar extra for Zelle) and only have takeaways. Will definitely visit this place again.

My go to Lunch spot when in the city. I’ve been coming here regularly since 2005 - I first discovered this food truck when I worked in New York. Back then it was a quick walk from my Park Ave. location at lunch time, rain or shine. There has always been a line of people at lunch time but service is quick and efficient. The menu have evolved since I started coming here and it’s fantastic offering. I’ve changed jobs a few times since then and even moved away, but the food truck is still there and serving absolutely delicious food. These days, anytime I’m in the city, I make sure to grab lunch here. It’s a quick walk from our current location on Broadway!!

Clean atmosphere and friendly staff. Had a nice lunch with my mom. Falafel was a little hard but the taste was good. The Lebanese Cauliflower was yummy. Quick and easy vegetarian options for lunch. Love that the tables have stamps where they were handcrafted and from what. The table we sat at was a bowling lane in a previous life.

I’ve been coming here for 4 years, it never disappoints. This chipotle style middle eastern joint always hits the spot. They have several meat and veggie options with tons of add ons. I typically do the half shawarma and half gyro in a bowl and don’t forget the spicy tahini. They have a ton of different sauces too. Highly recommend.

Uff da, I might've made a mistake coming here after a pro-Palestine rally in Foley Square, but at least I didn't order the "Israeli" couscous, which probably wasn't actually from Israel, no matter how you slice it. But to be overly fair, the staff were kind to let me use the restroom even before I ordered, & they didn't mind (didn't see) my sign ☢️. I only gave three stars not for political reasons, but because my bowl (Turkish meatballs, eggplant 🍆, rice 🍚, mushroom 🍄 hummus, cucumber 🥒, & feta) was just good enough, like a cheaper version of Naya. But then again, I'd been to Ayat Staten Island recently, so maybe I was expecting the world 🌍 again.

My favorite chain for a quick, healthy and satisfying meal. I love falafel, it's one of my top comfort food, so any place that offers nice falafels gets thumbs up from me. For less than $12, you get 5~6 large falafels, one choice of hummus (I picked mushroom hummus this time) plus two substantial sides (beat-root salad and babaganoush this round), and your choice of toppings and sauce. Oh and a warm pita bread too. I could barely finish everything. The place is clean and orderly, the waiting staff friendly and efficient - they have to be, coz there was a long line of lunch rush customers.

Food was good but service was a little slow for the lunch hour. They were one counterperson short so line slowed. Options are clearly labeled and there are many choices. We had a falafel sandwich and a combo platter. The meat was cut in front of us and the falafel was fresh made.

Omg—cant believe it took me this long to visit. The food is FINGER-LICKIN-FANTASTIC. Other than the ambiance being a little lackluster, the service, energy of the people & flavors made up to it. Im still dreaming about this meal. • Frena (1000/10) literally the best pita bread ive had in my life—garlicky, fluffy & a crispy bottom. we had to get two because it was just that good • Labneh (10/10) thick yogurt super yummy with the peaches to cut through the creaminess • Carrot Dip (10/10) enjoyed this one too! texture is more loose & also sweeter loved the garnishes • Tomato salad (10/10) the juiciest tomatoes ever, dressing was citrusy & refreshing. but the garlic whip??? give me a whole plate of just that please. • Beef skewer (10/10) • Chicken (100/10) cooked and seasoned to perfection. juiciest protein. no notes. • Halva soft serve (100/10) do not skip this. sesame flavor came through extremely well & NOT TOO SWEET. perfect way to end the meal.

Dinner at Shukette was sublime. The restaurant was bustling with diners. I had a bar seat where I could see the dishes being sent out. The menu had many tempting offerings. To start, I had the hummus and frena which was pillowy and had nuggets of plump garlic that were meltingly soft. The kataifi wrapped halloumi was a touch rich after this so I had it packed. Next, I chose a refreshing heirloom tomato salad with blistered corn. If that wasn't enough corn, I also got a lafa smeared with whipped corn butter. Each bite was irresistible Slowly, I found myself getting stuffed. I couldn't resist dessert and had the mic drop. A tahini soft serve with hazelnuts, halva floss and pomegranate. Mia, the server, had suggested the swirl soft serve with Concord grape sorbet. So she gave me a scoop with my choice to taste. It was delicious. Service here is attentive and unobtrusive. Shukette is a fine restaurant with Mediterranean cuisine where prices add up fast so my meal was rather expensive. It's rare that I make another reservation while I am still at the restaurant but I did here as the cuisine is exciting and I want to taste several more dishes.

The menu changes all the time - you can hardly spend a minute mourning your old favorites before you are salivating over your new favorites. Some of my highlights: Garlic frena bread Toum garlic spread Seasonal summer tomato corn garlic salad Lamb with pistachio and fig The tahini halva silan soft serve You really cant go wrong with anything you order at Shukette! Shukette is very accomodating to individuals with dietary restrictions- I have dined here with friends with both severe celiacs disease and lactose intolerance, as well as a shellfish allergy, The staff at shukette have been incredible conscientious- asking questions and flagging allergies. They are sure to inform you of which dishes can be accomodated for specific allergies and which cannot. Also, each staff member from your waiter to the buser to the manager is knowledgeable about which dishes contain which ingredients- which is impressive anywhere let alone a restaurant like this one which changes the menu so frequently!

Whether you watch Triple Threat or not, this is a hopping little restaurant with tons of pizazz and flavor to match! Ayesha Nurdjaja has set up a lovely little spot with indoor, bar, outdoor, and enclosed/heated outdoor seating options. The staff is really lovely and they allowed us in without a reservation when they opened their doors, which was really lovely. Honestly, the plates, while small in size, are just nutrient and flavor packed and delicious. The cocktails here are light and effervescent and the breads are ... I would fight my grandmother in the street to get those recipes- they're that amazing. Nothing we had was bad but I loved the charred broccoli and the Mic Drop Tahini soft-serve ice cream. That alone is with the price of admission! Long story short, if you're considering it, go. It's worth it!

Went with a large group of people to Shukette. Definitely make a reservation for weeks in advance, because this place is always booked! The bread is so fresh, hot, tasty and I’m not a bread fan but I’m a fan of this bread. The lamb was a very small portion, most portions are small here, but the lamb tender perfect seasoning. The shrimp was tasty, not a big enough potion for me. There was also a beautiful kale dish that came with pistachios and a nice sauce. The rice was very good. Again small portion. Everything here is a la carte. The ice cream wasn’t doing anything for me and I doubt if it would do anything for you. There was a mix of tahini gelato with caramel nuts and some raspberry something that was so off. It’s a no for me on that. The price is pricey and you’re going to need to order a lot of stuff to feel “full” or satiated due to portion size. Great for large groups, date night. Ambiance is nice but a bit loud. And the spaces are tight.

We were in Manhattan for a concert and it was the first time in New York for me. We knew of Shukette from seeing Chef on Bobby's Triple Threat, so we reserved as early as we could, two weeks in advance. I personally have a very strong affinity for Middle Eastern flavours being of Palestinian descent. When we arrived we were greeted by the hosts who were wonderful and I truly wish that I had gotten their names because they made us feel welcome and special. When seated they asked a little about us and we told them we were there for just 2 things, the concert and the dinner. Our waiter, Vladimir, was amazing and I really can't say enough about him. He was there when we needed him; Vladimir was engaging and made some tremendous recommendations. A huge surprise was Anna-Marie coming over and talking to us for a little as she had been told we were only in town for dinner and a show when we will live in Florida. We explained the show was a bucket list for my partner, and we could not pass up the opportunity to dine at Shukette as we were only in town. Anna-Marie had said that if Chef came by she would send her our way. Imagine our surprise when Chef did come to speak with us! It was really an honour and a privilege that we got to spend time with Chef. I have been thinking about the food we had last night, and how Chef's food and the entire staff at Shukette made me feel like home again. Shukran Shukette. I have spent the evening and this day thinking of the food and my late mother. I have truly been enriched through your hospitality and the food you shared.

Great experience. Service was very friendly, seating across a food expeditor added a unique twist. Ordered too much food and finish it all because flavors were unique and delicious. Meeting Ayesha was a perfect ending to a beautiful night.

The beet tzatziki was hands down one of the most delicious things I’ve ever consumed. I mean, c’mon…😭🤧😮‍💨🤤 We got the lamb adana and finished with the mic drop. Still good, fell a little short. Highly recommend getting a reservation — you can tell this is the hot place to be!

Israeli restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Nolita, Shoo Shoo is a delightful eatery that brings a modern twist to Mediterranean cuisine with strong Israeli influences. This charming spot boasts an inviting atmosphere filled with lush greenery, making it perfect for casual lunches or intimate dinners. The menu showcases a commitment to health-conscious dining, featuring grass-fed organic proteins, whole grains, and seasonal vegetables—ideal for those who prioritize nutritious eating.
Loved brunch! We reserved a table for 2 and the service was super fast and the food was great. They refilled our water numerous times and asked us if everything was okay. The pricing wasn’t outrageous because the portion size was very big. I loved the harissa burger and sauce for both the fries and the burger. We struggled to finish the sandwiches and fries because it was a lot of food. I missed quality service in NYC and this place really nailed it. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back to try the lunch and dinner options!
Rajesh — Google review
I was with a friend a couple of weeks ago, I heard a lot of recommendations. The atmosphere, the service is very pleasant. We took tea with mint and schnitzel with french fries, as well as vegetables with zaatar. I expected more from the food, but in the end it was averagely good. The sauces were delicious, especially green, but the schnitzel itself is boring and the potatoes are not sluggish.
Дари Б — Google review
It’s fine - the food itself is quite good but we had a large party and were seated in the basement, which was giving cellar vibes. Did not like the ambience and would not come back here because of that. Service was good - servers were very friendly.
Maddy A — Google review
Shoo Shoo is one of those spots where the vibe instantly pulls you in—laid-back yet stylish, with such a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to linger. The energy of the place is just as memorable as the food, and together they create such a standout dining experience. We started with the hummus, and it was absolutely outstanding—so fresh, silky smooth, and bursting with flavor. It paired beautifully with the warm bread and set the tone for the rest of the meal. The fries and sweet potato fries deserve a special mention too: perfectly crispy, piping hot, and honestly addictive. They’re the kind of sides you keep reaching for long after you’re full. For mains, the lamb shawarma was excellent, with a distinctly gamey flavor that made it rich and satisfying without being overpowering. It felt authentic and hearty. But one of my favorite parts of the meal was the Israeli chopped salad on tahini. It was bright, refreshing, and balanced, with that creamy tahini base tying everything together beautifully. It was light yet flavorful, the kind of dish you could eat every day and never get tired of. Everything about Shoo Shoo—from the fresh, flavorful food to the great ambiance and attentive service—makes it a place I can’t wait to return to. It’s perfect whether you’re coming for a casual meal, a night out with friends, or just to enjoy really well-executed Mediterranean dishes in a space that feels good to be in.

I've visited twice with my girlfried and I think this is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in the city. The chopped Osraeli salad is the best I have ever eaten. The schnitzel is as well. I have really enjoyed the shakshuka both times, especially the challah that comes with it. The knafeh is good too. Love the mint lemonade!
Marc S — Google review
Excellent food and lots of vegetarian options. Loved the hummus, the eggplant dish, and the shakshuka. Cocktail was too sweet, would not recommend.
Aparna S — Google review
The service was friendly and on point. The food portions are decent, flavors/seasoning were good and came out quick. We had 3 appetizers to share and a harissa burger. No complaints.. It's a good spot for a quick meal. Highlights... The pita, man they were good. Lowlight... Had to have been the fries. Not terrible... Just thin stringy limp fries. Not a fan.

My favorite spot in Nolita near Bowery. I went 4 times in 4 months! Amazing Mediterranean dishes and spreads. Delectable Schnitzel Fish and pickles. Nice Terrasse. Smiling staff. Oh and creamy mashed potatoes to die for. I don't eat meat but my friends said they had the BEST lamb on a bed of that airy purée :-)

Karam Restaurant is a Lebanese eatery known for its delectable Middle Eastern cuisine. The restaurant offers Lebanese-style sandwiches wrapped in flatbread, filled with pickles, and drizzled with a flavorful garlic sauce that perfectly complements the richness of their shawarma. Additionally, Karam's falafel balls are described as crispy, fluffy, and aromatic with cumin and garlic. The rice pilaf served with the platter is also highly praised.
I just want to say thank you! food was so delicious especially the chicken shawarma !!! Staff is extremely friendly. Atmosphere is great! One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Brooklyn for a nice dinner.

Karam offers an exceptional taste of Lebanon with its perfectly seasoned shawarma and juicy rotisserie chicken. The flavors are authentic, and the ingredients are fresh, making each bite a delight. The wraps are packed with flavor. Whether you’re craving a quick bite or a satisfying meal, Karam delivers both in taste and quality. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy genuine Lebanese fast food!

I had such a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely awesome, and the prices were very reasonable. The staff were incredibly sweet and helpful, making the meal even more enjoyable. The qatayef here are so good—seriously a must-try! The lemonade was refreshing and delicious, and the chicken was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!
Foodlover — Google review
Makanek sandwich's sausages are delicious and really well seasoned. Has typical Mediterranean veggies but the sour cream and pickled radish (?) adds a really nice balance in terms in sour and acidity (which differentiates it from just another typical gyro). Lahmajeen pie is like a mini pizza, has a crispy crust and dough texture is soft like mochi, but not as chewy. I wouldn't recommend this pie as the overall taste was lacking for me—maybe try it with a different topping. The sweet cheese was surprisingly delicious. I'm used to cheese tasting salty but this cheese is actually sweet and not pungent at all. Biting into it you will taste hints of tea but it's not bitter or overpowering at all. Texture wise it's gently firm on the outside and a melty, soft on the inside. If you like tea, milk tea, or fluffy cheese I would recommend giving it a try! Cinnamon pudding is unique, has the texture of Japanese konjac jelly. It is topped with shredded coconut, pistachio, dates, and raisins which pair well with the pudding. This pudding is actually somewhat refreshing, I could see it being enjoyed as a chilled dessert in the summer. Not much seating available, 1 small table, 3 medium tables, 1 large table. Staff was very friendly.

Tasty, casual Lebanese joint. I had some sort of kebab, hummus and the tomato & onion pie. The tomato pie was a bit cold but I wasn't sure if that's how you eat it. I had a nice lunch here.

Nestled in the vibrant Hudson Yards, Casa Dani offers a delightful dining experience that feels like stepping into a warm and inviting home. The name translates to 'Dani's House,' perfectly encapsulating the essence of this restaurant where elevated Spanish cuisine takes center stage. Under the expert guidance of Chef Dani Garcia, a culinary maestro with three Michelin stars, guests are treated to an array of innovative tapas and hearty paellas that pay homage to southern Spain’s rich gastronomic heritage.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Casa Dani, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was elegant and inviting, perfect for a fine dining experience. Every dish I tried was a culinary masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made the entire evening feel amazing, especially thanks to the manager Edward. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything was simply delicious. I highly recommend Casa Dani for anyone looking to enjoy top-tier cuisine and impeccable service. I can’t wait to return!"

Tasty food, an excellent selection of tapas, and very friendly and attentive service. The pancetta was a nice surprise, as even though it is a simple appetizer, it is not easy to find. The octopus was my favorite, as the mix of flavors was interesting and a great opening for the paella.
Luis F — Google review
Overall food was good. Black ink paella was served warm. Not piping hot like I’m used to at other restaurants with the offering. Appetizers and my old fashioned cocktail were on point. Wife’s lychee martini was not impressive. Decor was nice, but not elegant for the prices charged. Overall a 4/5
Gilbert C — Google review
Awesome vibes. Food especially mains were just ok. I could make better paella and steak at home. appetizers were delish. Honestly we should have just ordered tapas and apps without any mains.
Jiajing W — Google review
Apparently this place is a Michelin-guided restaurant. I wouldn’t come here again. Servers constantly try to take away dish you’re still eating, tables and chairs were wobbly upon arrival, the lobster had a strange texture as if it wasn’t very fresh, and the desserts were way too sweet. Asked one of the servers for a different dessert because of how sweet it was, and his response was “They’re all desserts.. I don’t know what to tell you”. Hilarious for a restaurant that costs about 300$ for two people
Bella L — Google review
We just had tapas and desert, they were all amazing! You must order the croquetas, they are so creamy and delicious! The flute crudo is also a must, it’s an amazing mix of flavors and textures; crunch, smoth, sweet and sour it a pinch of spicy! Really amazing! And the oxtail brioche is out of this world!! We had the cheesecake, which is more close to a tarta basca and they shred the cheese you choose on top! And the spanish flan was soooo smoth! Everythind was perfect, the atmosphere was great and the brazilian playlist made the difference.
Caio M — Google review
Temper your expectations and you will rate it a 4 star restaurant. Otherwise, if you’re hoping for an upscale restaurant that serves delicious, positively memorable food then save your money and go eat somewhere else!!! I ate here on Valentine’s Day, so I can only speak to the prefix menu when it comes to the food but there are so many other problems with the restaurant. The food was very lackluster. It felt like a struggle to eat. It presented its self like a fine dinning restaurant but it’s more like hotel lobby food. The food was challenging to eat. It felt like a task because quite frankly it didn’t taste that good. It was either generic or too salty or too sweet. Kind of like a moderately more upscale Applebees. There wasn’t much that felt Spanish about it. The service was hit and miss. Some staff was very polite. Others spoke like they were your friend or outright rude and snarky. They lacked professionalism in the manner at which they’d speak, the way the would set the table, and the way they dressed. Their shoes all looked very hodgepodge. They have these very cheap looking pens and notepads to take your order, it felt like a Denny’s. The atmosphere at first looks decent but there are issues, like the temperature. It was too cold. There are screens out and other staff equipment that looked messy and trashy. The chairs are all wobbly as well as multiple tables. This is most likely the flooring which looks like Mexican satillo and not Spanish but that’s definitely being nit picky. The first table I sat at had a wobbly chair. When I asked to be moved, as I can’t stand wobbly tables or chairs, they insisted I stay at the table I was and gave me another chair. Because the entire table was then discovered to be wobbly as well, I was moved to a booth. However the restaurant was not busy at all. I don’t understand the decision making. The ceilings needed paint and a cleaning. The music was initially unfitting for the restaurant but better suited for a Mexican restaurant. Eventually the music changed to more traditional/ contemporary Spanish music. The layout of the tables and hanging lamps was very poor. When you try to get into a booth, you would most likely bump your head on a lamp in many seats. The plates were the nicest thing about the restaurant. There was one incident where a waiter was particularly sarcastic and snarky with my date. I didn’t understand his approach to resolving our issue. Nonetheless, we mentioned this to the manager and he reduced the price of the bill. His approach to us was very professional and polite and immediately resolved our issue. If every one of the staff had his enthusiasm, this restaurant would be much improved. Overall, I recommend you spend money somewhere else! Don’t be fooled by the good reviews. Don’t be fooled by the website or even the Michelin endorsement. I wish I would have spent even more money and played it safe by not giving this restaurant a chance.
Dustin P — Google review
Had a wonderful birthday dinner here last night, and found the service exceptional. The staff was so friendly and attentive, always recommending things to pair and sample. We ordered quite a list of things, including fresh bread and olives which were so good, I hate olives but I’ve been converted. The Tuna Porterhouse Carpaccio was first, so soft and coated with Castillo de Canena extra virgin olive oil. I was able to spread it on my toasted bread along with eating it alone. Ensalada de Cogollos was such a fresh salad and experience, the table side prep was amazing. The Paella de Txuleta featured a 28 days dry aged, 16oz. bone-in ribeye, it was so tender and savory. I’d return for the seafood paella. We finished up with the insanely delicious Creamy Vainilla Rice Pudding Topped with Raspberry and the Baked Cheesecake. I would return for dessert alone! Def a place to visit with someone special. The decor was gorgeous and easy on the eyes, very airy and warm.

Ba'al Cafe & Falafel is a small, unassuming spot in the quieter parts of Soho, offering vegetarian-friendly Middle Eastern sandwiches and platters. The falafel sandwich is a standout item, with crunchy exterior and fluffy interior, served in pita bread reminiscent of Mediterranean fine dining. The kofta is flavorful and the portions are generous. While the chicken dish received mixed reviews, the overall experience was positive.
Got the 4 side platter with zucchini, cauliflower, the beets&apple and chicken, it was so good!! The chicken was not too dry and the dipping sauces, particularly the red spicy sauce, was so good. Small place but wasn’t super busy so we easily found a table.

I wanted to try something different from what I usually order out for delivery. This hit the spot. Stuffed grape leaves were nice and fresh. The beet salad was also fresh and tasted good as well. Loved the humus and tahini sauce, which added a nice flavor to the chicken swarma plate. Only criticism is there wasn't enough rice. However, food is very tasty, and I would reorder these food items again.

I order takeout often. The food is always great. I’ve never eaten in the restaurant. It’s a small cozy space, looks fine and they’re always playing good music, I just prefer takeout since I’m around the corner and usually solo. I do think they get tons of delivery orders and wait times tend to be a bit long but I just factor that in when I order. I think if you’re eating in they probably would prioritize your order but don’t really know.

The best falafel I've eaten in this neighborhood. They no longer have indoor seating, so it's kinda awful to dine outside while it's so cold out. I'd recommend ordering ahead or get a take out. Service is relatively slow since they always seem to have orders coming in.

Ordered some chicken skewers for pickup and the food was fantastic. I can't remember the last time I had such big white meat skewers that weren't dry. I love how it was flavorful but not too salty. Low quality, overpriced halal food. The chicken tasted like cheap store bought shredded chicken that had been sitting out for ten hours. Nothing like any other halal plate I’ve had. The hummus was completely inedible. Worst I’ve ever had. Look at the comparison between what was served and the picture they posted on uber eats. I’m a halal food addict who lives nearby and I would love if some of the good places stayed open later.

I got food poisoning the next day - you can almost never tell from where you catch these bugs, of course, but their food was the only food outside of my typical rotation of meals I ate recently. Been meaning to check this spot out, the chicken gyro sandwich I had was fine. As you can see from the photo, it’s not exactly what I’d call a gyro, more of a pita stuffed with seasoned chicken some sauce a few diced tomatoes and some lettuce that’s then put in a panini press. That said, the sauce was pretty nice and overall I thought the sandwich was fine. Takeout only

The main star is falafel, offered in three flavors: Classic, Stuffed, and Egg, and It’s served with your choice of pita, sandwich roll, rice, or fries. They offer other combos, but I’m here for the star! 😂 I got the stuffed falafel with Street fries, which typically comes with fries, feta, tomatoes, olives, and pickles. I didn’t get the olives or pickles, but the fries were still seasoned beautifully, were crispy and everything was made to order. Overall, I loved my meal, and would definitely recommend you try it! I was really looking forward to this sandwich, but it ended up being a letdown. The bread was soggy and falling apart, and the fillings were unevenly spread and barely held together. The chicken lacked flavor and was dry in some parts and very less meat, and the vegetables didn’t taste fresh. For the price, I expected a much better quality meal. Sadly, I won’t be ordering from here again.

Rana Fifteen is a western Turkish restaurant that offers a unique dining experience with its prix fixe menu featuring fifteen dishes served family style. The restaurant has garnered positive reviews for its diverse and flavorful offerings, including atom labneh, Tarama, and kimyon garlic shrimp. Despite not serving alcohol, the establishment allows patrons to bring their own beverages. The Rana table option provides a comprehensive sampling of appetizers, mezes, entrees, sides, and dessert.
Amazing Turkish food - definitely some of the best lamb chops and octopus I’ve had in years. The Rana Table deal was awesome, offering a perfect way to sample all eight appetizers along with four additional mezzes. With four people we got 2 entrees to share and the portions were just right. I gave the food five stars, though I do wish there had been more dessert options to finish off the meal—we couldn’t get enough of the pistachio lady finger!

We did the Rana's Table for $45pp, where we got small plates of their apps for tasting, a side + entree to SHARE, and dessert for each. It's a perfect portion for 2 people, in my opinion. My favorite of the apps were clams, mussels, and spreads. Their salad was also quite good and fresh. There are apples in it and I'm not usually a fan of fruit in salad! The steak entree was very good! Again, a perfect portion for 2 people. There's ample seating + staff were very attentive. Overall, I think this spot is worth a try!

I have been there for brunch and cannot wait to try their dinner menus. It is a perfect brunch spot. The family style share option is perfect with many things to try and everything tasted perfect. Really loved the ambiance and the entire experience.

The tasting menu was absolutely delicious. We got the shrimp entree as well. Everything was so incredibly well seasoned. One of the best meals I’ve had in New York.

A delicious experience and super filling! Rana's table was full of variety and flavor. Whatever that tomato sauce/dip was changed my life - I'm obsessed!!! The calamari was also very good. Both the mains we got were great - I preferred the Iskender steak over the branzino but that's probably also my tomato sauce bias. The dessert was also excellent. Overall great experience and would definitely return!

We had an amazing Turkish breakfast at Rana 15 in Brooklyn. The spread was generous and delicious — we had börek, menemen, çılbır, pancakes, a variety of cheeses and olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, jams, tahini with grape molasses, and more. Everything was super fresh and flavorful. We finished with Turkish tea and then coffee, which was the perfect ending. We went as a big group and the staff was very welcoming. The ambiance was cozy and warm — it honestly made me feel like I was in Izmir. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving a real Turkish breakfast! Definitely will be back over and over again 💙

Overall this place is not bad but everything feels a little off from the proper Turkish food if you are looking for that experience. For example, midye dolma rice is too sweet, it doesn't taste bad it's just different and it may throw you off if you are used to the regular style.

Elmo is a trendy restaurant known for its American comfort food and lively bar, attracting a predominantly gay clientele. Recently relocated to Sunset Park from Manhattan, it has been praised for its Indian cuisine. Customers have enjoyed dishes like falafel over baba ghanoush, chicken pita with fries, samosas, and mango lassi through delivery service. The ambiance is festive with beautiful Christmas decorations adding to the dining experience.
Dropped by on a Sunday night an hour before closing. Great vibes and awesome service. Didn't rush us at all and let us enjoy a good time with friends! Food was honestly pretty damn good. I wasn't expecting to be blown away but their mac & cheese is definitely worth trying alongside some of their entrees like the penne. Best of all, Elmo has incredibly generous portion sizes. I was definitely rolling out of the restaurant.

Haven’t been here in ages, but popped in for a happy hour moment, and got a Hugo Spritz. Ended up staying with friends and got some apps. The Mac and Cheese was still amazing. Prices were very reasonable for a Chelsea spot. Our waiter Emin tho was the star. So funny and personable, and took great care of us!

The kitchen was very uneven. We both got the same meal - buttermilk fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans. I was very surprised that it was a pounded out chicken cutlet rather than a chicken breast on the bone. Because of that mine was dry and overcooked. If not for the gravy it would have been difficult to eat. My dining partner's was not dry. His green beans were chewy and mine were not.

No gluten free menu offered. Drinks were nice, tho on the small side. Beautiful funky decor. Nice bar scene. Everyone liked their entrees... But I had to order deviled eggs and sweet potato fries to get past the GF issue.

This place had Really nice ambiance and artwork and Plenty of lighting. The drinks we tried were the Chocolate martini and Malibu bay breeze double. They were both strong. We’ll worth the money. Calamari was crispy and delicious. Spinach and artichoke dip with fresh pica Little light on spinach. But very cheesy. Both food entree items came hot and fresh. Chicken fried chicken with mash and green beans. The chicken was crispy and juicy. Chicken was butterflied, Mash was tasty, Gravy delicious and had a Nice peppery taste. Steak frites medium, spinach with garlic and fries. Tender and juicy, highlight of the night for me!

I ordered from this place on Saturday and had food poisoning. It was the only thing I ate on Saturday and ended up throwing up for hours and having stomach issues. And still currently recovering from all of that. Ya’ll should be ashamed! The dishes I ordered was the espaguetis and pastelon.

There no place to sit and eat. It gets bust here. I had the rice with black beans and stew chicken. The rice was slightly salt but still tasty. I also had the shredded cassava with cheese thing-that was truly 10/10
Shani — Google review
This restaurant places preferences on non-Black people. They allowed hispanics to skip others who do not appear as Latinx. I went today to get food. Their lining system is very unproductive and they do not keep mind of the order. They allowed someone who was Latinx to skip me and when I addressed it to the client, it became an argument, rather than them acknowledging the concern and addressing the issue, they defended the client who skipped me. I speak Spanish, which they ignored of me because I am Black. Even after the argument, we both got our foods and they said in spanish that they were trying to push me out. This place is racist and their food isn’t even that good. I will be working with community members to address the anti-Blackness of this restaurant. Dominicans are racist and it’s sad that a place that has many Black Dominicans, they do not identify as such and treat Black presenting people differently. Please do not go here. They’re racist!

The food is definitely 100% great Dominican dishes. The service is great all around. Cooked fresh every day. I’ve noticed that some clients claim it’s cash only and that’s not true, payments can be made with all major credit cards and Zelle. If you haven’t had one of there hardy dishes, you are missing out a great lunch. Tryout the breakfast dishes combinations. There’s nothing like their daily made hot Avena to warmup the body in these cold mornings. A great way to get the day started. “Buen provecho a todos”

Alice is a new Italian seafood restaurant located in the basement of a historic brownstone. It stands out for its focus on fish and oysters, with sustainably-sourced seafood procured locally and from places like the Canary Islands. The cozy coastal Italian ambiance is complemented by daily deliveries of fresh fish from Montauk. The menu features a variety of oysters, crudo, and house-made pastas.
One of my absolute favorite spots in the city! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, the food is consistently delicious, and the cocktails are top-notch. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service—attentive, friendly, and always on point. We recently celebrated a friend’s birthday here and had an unforgettable time. I came here with my homegirl to try the Restaurant Week menu and we had a fabulous time thanks to our amazing server, Carson. He was so warm and welcoming as soon as we came in. I don't know much about wines and Carson walked us through the wine menu in such an accessible way. He helped expand my wine knowledge and introduced me to my new favorite wine! The calamari was beautiful and fresh. The salmon was great and the tiramisu was so luscious. The real treat was the peach and melon sorbet, hand scooped by lovely Carson. I'll definitely be back at Alice to try their pastas and hopefully to be served by Carson again

Tucked beneath a historic brownstone, Alice feels like a hidden escape to coastal Italy — intimate, elegant, and full of charm. From the moment we arrived, the host welcomed us warmly and seated us right away, setting the tone for a wonderful night. The service was exceptional — Xaviera made the experience unforgettable, describing each dish with passion and care. The Bucatini al Limone was creamy, citrusy, and perfectly salted; the grilled octopus was tender and full of flavor; and the burrata with heirloom tomatoes was a refreshing start. It’s clear that Alice prides itself on excellent customer service — the laid-back, welcoming vibe and friendly staff truly make you feel like family. ✨ A cozy, flavorful, and heartfelt dining experience — a true hidden gem in NYC.

My favourite design from our trip. I love this style of restaurant … very talked about but kind of hidden. The owners were very accommodating of our reservation request when they found out we were also restaurateurs on an nyc trip even though it was short notice. Being Italian it’s always a more authentic experience to be speaking Italian with the very charming and gracious owners who came to our table and spent quite a bit of time conversing with us in Italian and explaining their journey in nyc and practically every ingredient of every dish. A very special experience. I would give this place 15 stars for atmosphere if the option was available. Loved everything but the atmosphere is just amazing. Auguri 🥂

We dined at Alice on a Tuesday evening for Restaurant Week. The service, food, and atmosphere were fantastic. Very cool vibe situated in a well designed interior. It’s located in a historic brownstone. Every dish we had was very good. The service was polite, friendly, and efficient. All in all a great and memorable experience.

We stopped by this lovely spot for a "treat yoself" lunch after some recent professional successes. If you're familiar with Maison Premiere and other pretty restaurants filled with old-timey, antique-y knick knacks and lots of plants, then you'll know the vibe of Alice. It's like Sleep No More with a skylight and loooots of pothos. The menu is just as kitschy and fun, full of creative Italian dishes. Try the delicious Beef Tartare to start, full of hazelnut and sunchoke crunch. The Crab Pappardelle Special with bisque sauce was savory and perfectly al dente, but the real winner of our table was the Paccheri Swordfish Bolognese. If you're picturing hearty, meaty, saucy wondrousness.....you've pictured correctly. I kind of feel like all bolognese pastas need to be fish-based now (*cue beatdown from la polizia*). When I was first looking up Alice, their menu reminded me of the creative dishes at Alaluna--and wouldn't you know it, they're owned by the same people! Alice is better, though. Oh, bonus: When we mentioned our special occasion, we were treated to complimentary housemade dark chocolate and pistachio ice-cream. It was delish. Free always tastes so good.

Dinner at alice restaurantnyc felt like a little escape — cozy, candlelit vibes with dishes that really showcase the power of simple, high-quality ingredients. 🌿✨ Their focus on hand-picked, organic produce comes through beautifully — the tomatoes were some of the best I’ve had all summer, and the burrata was impossibly creamy. The fresh herb-forward cocktails? Also a highlight. 🌸🍸 Standouts for me: ✔️ The zucchini carpaccio was light and fragrant, a perfect start. ✔️ The pasta — classic, well-executed, just the right amount of bite. ✔️ The grilled fish was super fresh and paired with a lovely, bright sauce. That said, a couple of the dishes leaned a bit too simple. While I love minimalism, I was hoping for a bit more complexity or seasoning in the peppers and salad — beautiful, but slightly underwhelming flavor-wise. Still, you can tell there’s a real respect for ingredients here, and that’s something I’ll always appreciate. Would definitely come back in peak season to see how the menu evolves — it feels like the kind of place that shines brightest when ingredients are at their best. 🌼🍽️

Mark's Off Madison is an upscale restaurant that offers a blend of homestyle Italian cuisine, deli classics, and diner favorites. The restaurant features a modern interior with minimalist decor and a warm ambiance, but the main attraction is its spacious terrace where patrons can soak up some sunshine.
My son and I had a fantastic lunch at Marks. The calamari is one of the best tastes I’ve ever had. The salmon on sautéed spinach which we split was also amazing. The wine list is affordable & the dining room has comfortable seating. Thank you all so very much. Fun menu Mark S. Cheers !

Mark's Off Madison was quiet midday during lunch after 1 pm. Tables were plentiful inside and outdoors. The restaurant is big but not too big. You get views into finishing stations in the kitchen where staff may be seen plating entrées. The bar is at the entrance and a decent size unless it is after work and crowded. Pricing is Manhattan typical. For lunch the Hen of the Woods salad was great and cost about $26. Adding the Belgian truffle fries made the combo hardier. Those were $16 and fresh for sure. Worth trying for the table. Service was decent and it made sense for the lack of traffic that time of day. I would return to eat again another day and try the signature lasagna.

This is a nice American restaurant for local people. Who enjoy food in generous portions. I did order with my pals few dishes to share. Chevice was great, calamari fries were amazing. Fries is a must here, crispy outside and smoothly soft inside. Delivered to your table hot! Perfect. They have a bakery section here that is amazing and makes great bread. Service was adequate. People were very friendly.

Had the most wonderful experience here at Marks! First, the service is FANTASTIC! Think the most classic old fashioned hospitality with such warmth and grace. Aggie our server was a hoot!! She has been serving in NYC for forever and charmed us with her stories and table side presentation of cocktails. If you don’t know Aggie, you need to know her! The food was fabulous and so fresh and tasty! The portions were massive, everything was so flavorful and perfect!!

I got this tip from a podcast I listened to, and I really wanted to try the famous lasagna. The place is very nice, and the lasagna is truly something special. I dare say it was the best lasagna I’ve ever had in my life. The bread served as a starter and the pizza were also excellent. Every time I'm in New York, I'll make a reservation at this restaurant and recommend it to everyone.

Heard the fresh pasta here did not disappoint. Was able to get seated right away without a reservation right when the restaurant open at 5PM to enjoy dinner. Got a seat right by the window where we could see others who wanted to enjoy a meal outside. The bread served to us was a mix of bagels, sourdough, and pizza crusts which was definitely different and tasty. Enjoyed the ceviche as an app which had just the right amount of citrus. For mains ordered the pappardelle with brisket ragu and insalata di mare. Will be back for the ceviche and ragu. Did not have any room for dessert but the soufflé cake is made to order. This restaurant definitely has a vibe with low lighting

I discovered this restaurant through a TikTok recommendation that claimed it had the best lasagne in Manhattan—and it did not disappoint. I specifically came for the lasagne, and it was truly exceptional: rich, flavorful, and expertly prepared. To start, we enjoyed the grilled calamari, served simply with tomato and basil—a unique presentation that proved surprisingly delightful. We also tried the seafood linguini, which featured a generous amount of lobster and was equally impressive in both taste and quality. We concluded our meal with the blueberry crumble, which was a perfect ending to an already outstanding dining experience. Every dish was thoughtfully executed, and the service was exceptional. Judith, our server, ensured we were well cared for throughout the evening. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to answer all of our questions. Overall, the experience was superb from start to finish. I look forward to returning.

S&P Lunch, formerly known as Eisenbergs, has been taken over by the team behind Court Street Grocers and the HiHi Room. The menu features a wide variety of sandwiches, including classics like hamburgers. The restaurant offers an old-school Jewish deli experience with modern touches such as the option to swap meat for broccoli in your reuben. Visitors can expect counter-style seating and exceptional pastrami along with life-affirming matzo ball soup.
We waited about 10 to 15 minutes to be seated and the tables were a bit cramped, but the food came out really fast and was exactly what we expected, super tasty and filling. I also really liked the vibe of the place, it looks like an old school diner which makes the experience even nicer.

A classic diner spot! It’s a small restaurant but with classic eats done right. They are known for their tuna melt, and for good reason! The tuna was buttery and super smooth and the bread was delicious (and a little herbaceous!). The fries were ok. (I wish they were crispier on the outside.)

Arrived at this shop shortly before 2 pm, and I was the third in line for a “to-go” order. I ordered a pastrami sandwich and French fries and waited outside for my name to be called. It wasn’t even ten minutes before my name was called. I picked up a bag and walked briskly to my hotel room. The bread was soft and warm, and pastrami was so flavorful. The fries were crisp and warm…just like the way I like it. I would love to go back to try another sandwich and perhaps dine at the counter next time.

S&P Lunch has taken over the Eisenberg Sandwich Shop. Same location, same menu, same low key luncheonette ambience. The counter upfront with small dining room in the back. Friendly, quick service. Go early or go late otherwise you"ll have a wait. Cheeseburger with a side of fries. The perfect no fuss lunch. It's nice that some things don't change.

An old school feeling diner with a simple menu of breakfast classics and sandwiches. I had a pretty solid western omelette, my friend said the turkey reuben was fantastic and we both loved the light and fluffy pancakes.

The sandwich I had here was the best I’ve eaten in New York. If I’d had more time, I would’ve definitely gotten one to go! The man with glasses who helped us was very friendly and made the experience pleasant. However, the manager’s attitude made us feel uncomfortable. From the moment we walked in, she saw us but didn’t say a single word or greeting. I thought that might just be her style, but she was warm and kind to everyone else except us. Even when we were leaving and she was standing by the cashier, she ignored us completely. Thinking back on it, I’m not sure the food was good enough to make up for that subtle feeling of discrimination. I hope she realizes that we can also see her expressions and attitude. Wishing her a good day.

Visiting from Ontario I needed to have a deli sandwich with the reuben being my go to. There was a lineup but it went fast and you got to see what others were ordering before you sat down. Pastrami reuben, onion rings, ginger ale, and a tuna melt for the wife. The pastrami melted in your mouth and the rye was perfectly toasted!! Overall a must visit on you trip to NY.

A really nice restaurant that is very committed to outdoor and ventilated dining. The menu is a little eccentric! It's American-European-Israeli. Like Oliver Bar nearby, it can only serve spritzes, beer, and wine (no cocktails). But their spritzes are inspired. It's a cool place. Service is super friendly. The bar is excellent, and it spins music on vinyl. I can't wait to go back!

This is a neighborhood hang. The food is bar food but that doesn’t mean it isn’t tasty just is solid food that’s simple and gets the job done when hungry, plus the drinks, location and the amazing staff take all this up to a 5. Located in Zuccotti Park, Sam's Falafel Stand is a hidden gem in the Financial District. This food cart offers delicious and affordable eats, with options like the Falafel Sandwich for $7 or the Combo Platter for $9. The menu features falafel with hummus, babaganoush, fried eggplant, and salad. Customers can also enjoy drinks for just a dollar.
My favorite lunch spot in the area. Sam’s falafel sandwich enjoyed on a sunny bench is often exactly what I need. Their service is always super friendly. The falafel is very juicy (I often find falafel too dry but theirs are always perfect), and I love how they stuff them so I always have the perfect balance of bread / veggies / falafel / sauce with every bite until the last!! Hope they will remain where they are for the foreseeable future. Thanks team for making my lunch break every single time!

Best quality falafel for 35 years! I’ve been buying lunch from Sam’s Falafel occasionally for the past 24 years, since I started working in Downtown Manhattan. The truck stayed at the same plaza - before 9/11, after 9/11, after COVID, and beyond. It’s amazing how for all these years they have consistently maintained the high quality of their food. Unlike other food trucks that offer falafel as just one of many items, Sam’s Falafel focuses on falafel only, and along with perfectly matching complements they master it to delicious perfection. Portions are generous with about seven falafel balls served with hummus, tahini, salad, pita chips, fried eggplant, stuffed grape leaves, caramelized onions, pickled hot peppers, and of course, pita bread. At first glance, the portion looks too large for one person to finish. However, it tastes so good that it disappears quickly and easily. For all these years, there's been a long line to Sam’s Falafel food truck at lunchtime, and that speaks for itself. At this point, Sam’s Falafel is a legend, and could easily be considered one of Downtown Manhattan’s culinary attractions. I highly recommend trying the Sam’s Falafel platter if you like Middle Eastern cuisine and are up for a hearty, fulfilling lunch in Downtown Manhattan!

The falafel has a perfect texture, not too dry, and he packs the sandwich full and tops it with roasted eggplant and onions, fresh lettuce and tomato, and layers in the tahini and hot sauce. Even my kids loved it. The most satisfying lunch you'll find for under $10!

Sams Falafel is pretty darn good. Its the freshness of it. The flavor is calm and palatable. I would eat here again at his cart. Bring cash or zelle. Would recommend

If you're wandering through New York City and craving authentic Middle Eastern fare, the King of Falafel & Shawarma Cart is a must-visit. Nestled at E 53rd St & Park Ave, this food truck serves up a delightful array of traditional dishes that are sure to satisfy your hunger. Their standout item, the Falafel Platter, showcases a unique blend of chickpeas and spices that are expertly deep-fried to perfection.
If you’re a tourist hunting for a quick, affordable halal meal, look no further—this place has you covered. The $12 gyro platter is hands down one of the best deals you’ll find. The chicken is juicy and flavorful, the rice is perfectly cooked, and the salads and sauces just tie it all together in the best way possible. It’s filling, tasty, and easy on the wallet. Locals, you’re seriously lucky to have this spot in your neighborhood. Everything on the platter is fresh and full of flavor, and you can tell they put care into making sure each part of the meal hits just right. Whether you're a visitor or a regular, this is the kind of place you’ll keep coming back to.

Literally the bes in the US. I cam here years ago and searched all over NY to gind them again. If you like a mix of food, their Shawfel is a must have. Great prople too!

Presented with Very warm welcoming staff with a fresh crispy Falafel on the start. I ordered chicken over rice with salad No doubt salad was fresh and white sauce made it awesome in tasty but chicken wasn’t cook well. Could be better but over all joyful experience .

The rumors were true. You get a falafel while you wait on line. It was really good. Big pieces, as the reviewer says below, the falafel was very crunchy. I also like how it was cylindrical and not round balls. This was Baes recommendation after an afternoon walking in Central Park watching the sun go down. I got the chicken Sharma sandwhich. Just a little spicey and my head is sweaming, eyes tearing, nose running. What a cleansing. No where to sit. The stone benches have fences around them. Pro tip, head across the street for a table in the indoor public space. Wow. That was really good. Stomach full. No more food for me tonight. I feel satisfied. Staff was really friendly. I will come back again.

I got a falafel sandwich today from King of Falafel, a place I've been going to for years. They have two new guys working there. One of them is extremely unfriendly and can't seem to smile, and the other one—the one who made my sandwich—asked me if I wanted it spicy. I said, "No, just tahini and white sauce." Then, a minute later, he asked me the same question again. The quality has definitely slipped. The pitas used to come with a nice amount of pickled vegetables, lettuce, and tomato. Today, my pita had no tomatoes and just one piece of pickled beet. They aren't even assembling it right anymore—it was just a bunch of dry falafel at the bottom of the pita and a clump of lettuce at the top. It's a real shame, because these pitas used to be made with love. This used to be my go-to spot for falafel in Midtown, but this is the second time within a week that I've been disappointed. I don't think I'll be going back. My coworker said the same thing.

Passing by a few times and finally today I tried their chicken platter. So glad I did! Chicken is juicy, fresh salad, balance with rice. Since it is my first time I ask for a bit of all sauces. All pretty good. Hot sauce is indeed hot though, thank goodness I can take a hit 😉. Not sure if a falafel is part of the order but he did give me one. It was cold but still pretty good. I can imagine how good it will be if it is warm. $10 and they take credit card. A nice lunch choice. Compare to other food trucks around. I would think this is a better choice.

The best on park ave!! They give free falafel samples in line too and they’re delicious
Nastasia Y — Google review
The falafel from here is so crunchy and delicious (they gave me one while I was waiting!). The hot sauce had me in tears but it was so good! The salad/vegetables are fresh, and rice is cooked to perfection. I'm so excited to try the rest of the menu. Very friendly people. Free 🇵🇸🍉

Taim Mediterranean Kitchen - JACX in LIC is a popular spot known for its delicious falafel, especially the green and harissa varieties. The chicken shawarma bowl is also a hit, offering great flavor at a fair price. Customers appreciate the generous portions and the option to customize their bowls with various bases and toppings at no extra cost. The restaurant's modern vegetarian options make it an ideal choice for groups looking to sample different dishes.
Hi. I usually go here when I work at the office at QPN. It is always so good and tasty. It’s absolutely delicious and some of my other teammates love eating the food from here as well! This restaurant is located inside of the food hall called “JACX&CO.” I always order the “create your own” plate/bowl. And I order the plate, with chicken shawarma, with greens, rice, tomatoes, cucumbers, chickpeas, feta cheese, hummus, and avocado, with tahini sauce/dressing! The HUMMUS is a must!!! It did come with some pita bread on the side! Remember they only allow you to choose up to 6 toppings for this! It is very healthy and delicious! I also tried their ginger mint lemonade, and it was good as well, however, it had a lot of sugar and was a little too sweet for me, but it was still good. Next time I would like to try their “date lime banana smoothie!” The workers there are usually kind, professional, and helpful as well. This is a great place to grab some lunch for either take out or dine in! Thank you for your service!

I specifically asked for falafel that were not spicy. I was given spicy. I specifically asked for them not to put the dressing in my Bowl they added the dressing And to top it off when I bit The falafel it had a long strand of black hair So the young lady that was asking me questions on the phone transferred me over to the Manager His name was Ramel No one apologized and all he could tell me was that they outsource the falafel they not do make it there I think they added the dressing because everything was probably going to be stale old and nasty after reading the reviews so I told him since he had nothing to say, give me a refund and he said he gave it to me, but this is horrible That was the mush I received when I first opened my bowl Mind you the delivery fee was 846. The tip was three dollars then the bowl Total $28.44 for a half empty bowl And this happens

I was pleasantly surprised after having a really bad experience at the Spring St location. The ingredients here are much fresher, and everything is neatly arranged. The staff is also genuinely friendly which was very different from Spring St. I enjoyed my meal!

Today I ordered food from uber eats, the driver delivered the food very quickly but the food is terrible, the rice is overcooked and the home fries are actually the cheapest frozen fries. All the food was old and cold. I couldn't eat any of this because it looks and tastes terrible.

Located within a great joint for food options - ideal for small groups to order various options. Taim is great for modern vegetarian pick-your-options type chain. Taim is generally known for its delicious and authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, especially falafel and smoothies. I had falafel bowl with an array of options - ordered on a small terminal at the checkout counter. The fact that there are other options make it a great option for meal outing!
Sa S — Google review
Location was a bit tricky to find - it’s actually located INSIDE JACX & CO. (We had to go around the block a couple of times before we found it). It’s sad to see that a few of the other Taim locations closed during covid, which is why we made our way over to the LIC location to try it out for the first time. Pros: - Fresh, tasty food - JACX & CO. is very spacious, modern, and clean. LOTS of space to eat here - Lots of other food options available - great for people who want different things Cons: - Location is a bit tricky to find - Service was a little slow First of all, JACX & CO. has a ton of different food options - so if you’re looking for a one-stop shop with a group of people who all want different things, this is your place to go. The interior is really large, clean, and modern. I was actually surprised how nice it was inside! Taim also changed their menu and is no longer offering platters (which is disappointing), and instead offers bowls (select a base, add protein, etc.). I ended up with a bowl with hummus base, falafel (their green falafel is my fav), and it comes with some of their other veggies. We also got their fries with both dips (the spicy ketchup was definitely a winner!). Food was fresh and warm, and I enjoyed it as much as I have when getting food from their flatiron location. Would recommend stopping by if you’re indecisive about what to eat or with someone/a group that wants different cuisines!
Leah C — Google review
Ordered the chicken shawarma bowl and it was delicious and flavorful! Fair price wit great amount of food!! You don't get this kind of healthy bowl for the price elsewhere in LIC!! You can add up 2 bases and 8 toppings with no additional charge! Don't forget the free pita bread too! Considering many other shawarma places now charging $20+ with only rice and lettuce, Taim is definitely an outstanding eatery! The couscous was fantastic! Will definitely go back!!!
C C — Google review
Today's the last day I would ever eat at Taim. They used to be really good when there was only one location in the city..with them branching out, the quality of the food has suffered tremendously! Did an order pick-up..asked for extra sauce on the side, which they didn't include. Their fries were terribly soaked in oil, and were so soggy and mushy! Their almost 5 bucks organic drinks contain no label, how do I know it's actually organic? Need to find a better flafel place in Queens because this is absolutely not worth it!!

Apartment complex
The Hazel Jersey City is a new apartment complex with top-notch features such as a rooftop, gym, parking garage, and community rooms. The apartments boast stainless steel appliances, open kitchens for 1 & 2 bedrooms, the option of a shower or tub, high ceilings, and secured entrances. The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond to assist residents. Marc is highly praised for his genuine care and effort in making potential residents feel comfortable.
Luis is absolutely splendid. Gave us a very detailed tour of the apartment, punctual and professional. Answered all of our questions patiently and very keenly listened to our concerns. Hazel has very good amenities and seems like to have a lovely community.
Sindhu S — Google review
I’ve had a great experience when I lived here and wanted to take a moment to recognize the outstanding staff. Jasmine and Luis in the leasing office are always helpful, professional, and welcoming. They’ve made every interaction smooth and stress-free. The concierge team is friendly and attentive, consistently going above and beyond to assist residents. Maintenance is also prompt and efficient—any issues I’ve had were resolved quickly and thoroughly. Their combined efforts really make this community feel like home. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication!
Annette P — Google review
I've had a fairly decent experience living here overall, but it's been a mix of positives and frustrations. The maintenance team is definitely the highlight. They’re responsive, friendly, hard-working and great at fixing things promptly. The common areas are also kept clean, and I haven’t had too many day-to-day issues with the apartment itself. That said, there are some consistent problems that have made the experience less smooth than it could be. The garage door is frequently broken, and communication around building issues or repairs is often delayed or nonexistent. Sometimes we’re only told about an issue or of an impact to our areas after it’s already happened, leaving no time to plan or make accommodations. There was also an error on my lease where the wrong address was written, and it’s caused several issues for me since. I was also told there would be storage units available, but after being rescheduled and stood up for the initial showing of the storage unit, I was then told there weren’t any available after all. Do they not keep track of who is renting which storage rooms? Parking was another sore spot originally. The lease originally had a lower monthly price listed for a parking spot, and after I signed, I was told the actual cost was higher, and there was nothing I could do at that point. They did apologize, but it was still frustrating. There's also no enforcement for people parking in others’ assigned spots, we just get messages via the Carson app about asking people to move their cars and telling people it is the "final reminder." The doors to the lobby and building in general are also often left wide open, which feels unsafe. Communication from the front office can be slow and inconsistent at times. The staff are friendly when you do interact with them, but getting a timely response can be a challenge at times. And their AI assistant “Zoey” is not very helpful. It just feels like another way to avoid direct communication with tenants when they need actual help. In short, while the place has potential and some great staff, their customer service and internal management need improvement. With better communication, organization, and professionalism, it could be a much better experience.
Caitlin H — Google review
I don’t know where to begin. I moved into The Hazel in November and it hasn’t been great. When moving in? I had to constantly follow up with the leasing team, I was given the wrong address and the wrong cable company (they have cable in the units why would you recommend anyone but them)? But they have been consistent with their horrible service. I still have to follow up for maintenance requests. I put one on for a clogged toilet yesterday at 5:00 p.m. and my toilet is still clogged but they had hot chocolate in the lobby this morning….so there is that. My daughter was accosted by a man in the building, they were supposed to follow up and of course never followed up. Now they will email you 10 times when rent is due, I wish they were like this with all their responses. Anyway, there are a TON of luxury buildings going up in JC, find another with a more responsive staff please. An update, had an issue with heating today put in a work order at 12:16 p.m. and I was emailed at 5:40 p.m. saying someone would be here tomorrow. This is their norm. Please remember this if you are thinking about this complex. 2nd update, maintenance got to my home on Sunday morning for a request I put in on Friday at 12. He said my HVAC unit was not properly screwed in that's why the cold air was coming in and why I had such a hard time heating the unit. He also applied corking. IT TOOK 48 HOURS!!! Does that sound like luxury to you?

Luis was great in helping me find a place here at the Hazel! The front desk staff are also so kind here (especially Samantha and Ricky!) Maintenance responds in a timely fashion. The building is well kept and the amenities are nice here.

We toured with Luis and he was amazing! He did a great job in not pressuring us, listening to our needs, and making us feel comfortable to ask questions. He was able to answer all our questions regarding the neighborhood, commuting, etc. He also provided us with great details about different unit options. We highly recommend working with him!

If you're in the mood for a unique culinary experience, look no further than ilili Box. This gem, located conveniently near Times Square, redefines traditional grab-and-go fare with its innovative takes on classic dishes. Lebanese chef Philippe Massoud elevates falafel to new heights by incorporating international flavors like cucumber kimchi and Korean tahini. The menu also features delicious options such as lamb bowls and chicken BLTs that have left many diners raving about their taste and generous portions.
Love the food! The lamb bowl was really, really good. Not the greatest pic but I was hungry. Friendly staff, serviced very quickly. The only issue I had: it was very confusing to get to this place but once you find it, it's really nice! There's was a whole food court here. Very affordable to eat here in NYC, it's very clean place with AC in the 90° weather.

Okay, I don't know what the bad reviews are about. I got the chicken BLT with a side of fries and holy cow this was absolutely delicious !!!! The service was super fast and the food is great. The only issue I had was the the lady who took our order was sitting on her phone and we had to ask for her attention to order but I understand it may get boring to be stuck there for hours upon hours so I won't let that decrease the review because the food was totally awesome !

Had omelettes already couple times at Ilili Box in the City Kitchen. These guys are awesome, food is very tasty and they’re flexible about dietary restrictions. My son is gluten-free and wheat-free and these guys had a great true gluten-free bread for him. Thanks guys! A great stop for on-the-go eating right off Times Square, 44th n 8 Av. Highly recommended.

This place was great! Stopped by after work to grab a bite. Spicy chicken wasn't too spicy just mild, the sumac garlic whip was amazing!

Terrible. Greasy and expensive. Not much more to say. Thought I'd give it a shot for convenience. Next time I'll just walk to 9th Avenue where there's tons of local, good, and affordable olaces.

One of the better food places at the food court this place is located at. The food was healthful and is just the right portion, and service was speedier compared to the other food stalls. Nothing in this food court is cheap so if you're on a budget, you might need to reconsider. Paid $56 for three wraps, a salad bowl, and three lemonade cups.

Stopped in for a quick bite before going to a matinee. Got the korean falafel combo with brussel sprouts and a green lemonade. Too much food for one sitting. Shared with my friend and we still took some home. It was crazy busy and the wait was long but those poor guys working kept at it. Kuddos

Bar Benno offers an excellent ambiance, especially at the bar, where guests can enjoy gourmet and delicious food made with impeccable detail. The menu is a creative blend of traditional French cuisine with a contemporary twist. However, some patrons have noted that the service can be very slow at times and the prices are on the higher side. Despite this, many visitors have enjoyed their experience, particularly praising dishes like shrimp cocktail, Thanksgiving turkey plate, duck leg confit, and Salade De Betteraves.
Very good quality for all three dishes I tried. The Salade De Betteraves was probably the best.
AGG — Google review
Let’s start with the positives: - Excellent ambiance, especially sitting at the bar - Gourmet, delicious food that is made with impeccable detail - Creative menu with traditional French cuisine blended into a more contemporary style Now for the negatives: - VERY slow service. At times felt like my table didn’t exist - Pricey Would have given 5 stars if the service was better. I assume it is at Benno (the dining room), and hope to someday return
Justin H — Google review
So glad I came across this place while looking for restaurants open on Thanksgiving. We had the shrimp cocktail, Thanksgiving turkey plate (not dry despite being all white meat), and the duck leg confit, and all were excellent. The duck in particular was a highlight, and I'd definitely come back just for this dish. Although there was a slight hiccup with the check, the issue was quickly taken care of and service overall was great.
