Situated atop the Ritz Carlton Shanghai Pudong, Flair Bar offers a luxurious and stylish atmosphere with contemporary decor and architecture. Boasting the highest rooftop venue in Shanghai, it provides an unparalleled view of the city. The bar serves a variety of food and drinks including Asian fusion tapas, cocktails, beer, and wine. With 132 outdoor seats, patrons can enjoy the stunning views while indulging in high-end dining as they watch the sunset and city lights come alive.
Flair is Best Sky bar in Shanghai, Erza is the best Bar Manager who always takes care of everything & all the guest. Warm atmosphere, amazing service, delicious food, best Cocktail menu with many options. All the staff also amazing, very energetic, helpful and supportive. The best thing I have ever seen here is the fantastic view. Thanks for the best hospitality and the unforgettable experiences. I will come back to see all my friend here soon. Highly recommendation

As a guest of The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, I was curious to visit Flair Rooftop Bar after hearing about it from a member of the Executive Lounge team. Unfortunately, my overall experience left much to be desired - especially considering it’s part of the same hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted (or rather not greeted) by indifferent front staff who seemed disinterested and struggled with basic English. We were seated indoors, handed a worn-out menu with ripped pages, and the whole welcome felt more like a formality than hospitality. Thankfully, the waiters at the table were much more attentive and friendly. The cocktails were fine - what you’d expect from any upscale rooftop venue, but nothing memorable. The views, of course, are stunning and easily the highlight. I attempted to reserve a table for the following evening, which turned out to be near impossible with the rooftop staff. It was only through the helpful team at the Executive Lounge that the booking went through - oddly enough, this seemed to flip a switch. The next night, we were met with the same staff but suddenly greeted with over-the-top politeness - albeit in an inauthentic, performative way. That said, we received a great table and the food genuinely surprised me: while this is clearly a cocktail-forward venue, the dishes we had were actually excellent. Still, let’s call it what it is: Flair is a bar for the view, the photo, and the fleeting moment. It caters more to outside guests coming for a quick picture than it does to Ritz-Carlton hotel guests expecting elevated, consistent service. While the second evening was certainly an improvement, it didn’t change the overall impression. Worth a visit for the skyline - just temper your expectations if you’re staying at the hotel.

Located in Ritz Carlton Hotel! Absolutely loved my visit to Very Charming Lounge – the name truly lives up to the experience! From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the warm, intimate atmosphere. The decor is elegant yet cozy, with soft lighting, plush seating, and just the right amount of ambient music to make you feel relaxed and welcomed. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind for hours without realizing how quickly time flies. The service was outstanding – attentive without being intrusive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made thoughtful recommendations that truly enhanced the experience. Every drink we ordered was crafted with care and precision. The cocktail list was creative and well-curated, offering a mix of classics and inventive house specialties. I tried their signature drink (I believe it was lavender-infused gin with citrus), and it was nothing short of spectacular. In addition to the drinks, the small bites menu was delicious. The truffle fries and bruschetta were favorites at our table – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re looking for a romantic date night spot, a cozy corner to catch up with friends, or a quiet solo retreat with a good book and a glass of wine, Very Charming Lounge is an absolute gem. Highly recommended!

Flair has one of the most stunning settings in Shanghai, the interior design is sleek and modern, and the panoramic views from the rooftop are simply breathtaking. It’s definitely one of those places where the atmosphere alone makes the visit worthwhile. That said, the experience didn’t quite live up to the visuals. The service was just okay, not terrible, but far from the level you’d expect at a place like this. The food was also a bit underwhelming; it looked great but lacked flavor and finesse. The cocktails followed the same pattern: beautifully presented, but the taste didn’t quite match the appearance. Overall, Flair is highly recommended for the views and ambiance, perfect for a drink at sunset or a night out with friends, just don’t go expecting an exceptional culinary experience.
JC — Google review
Rooftop with nice views! Cocktails are tasty, prices are high but you are paying for the view. Make sure to go outside prior they shut down the lights (at 23h)
Astrid G — Google review
Great roof top bar with excellent drinks, food and breathtaking views. Excellent service and quality. Highly recommended.
Dimitri R — Google review
Meh. The price doesn’t match the value. The bar is great for a drink and the view, food is not good. Fries were old and too oily. I ordered Wagyu beef and they brought us seafood salad. The waitress told us that the translation was bad. Wow. Then she took the plate back and never asked for a new order… Also when we booked nobody told us that they are charging 1700 yuan for the table… not proper Ritz Carlton experience.
Filip D — Google review
The only positives, unfortunately about The Flair was the atmosphere and view. Everything else was an utter embarassment... We went with the 4 people dinner set menu which was dissappointing, the portions were tiny and the food was mostly bland/plain. For dessert we had one scoop of ice cream to share between 4 adults. (See photo) My main gripe with this place was the service which was honestly the worst service I have ever experienced in my life, the staff were very unattentive and looked like they would rather be anywhere else in the world. I ordered a cocktail that was finished in 15 minutes that remained at the table the entire 2 hours we were there. Food was rushed out and there was barely any space on the table, yet the staff would take absurds amounts of time before clearing plates. Multiple times the wrong/same food was sent to our table. The most appalling experience of the night was when we left our table to go admire the view and take pictures, one of the service staff thought it would be appropriate to approach us with an EFTPOS machine and ask us to pay our bill as she believed we were leaving. Keep in mind at this point we already paid the minimum spend of 1680RMB ($360) and at that point we were only halfway through our meal course with half a wine bottle still to be drunk at our table. Absolutely ridiculous to be accused as "Dine and Dashers" when your on the 52nd floor with one elevator down that is located in front of the service staff. Terrible experience would not recommend, left a sour taste in our mouths that tarnished our first trip to Shanghai.

Bar
Bar Rouge in Shanghai is a trendy nightlife spot located atop Bund 18, offering a unique nightclub experience. Since its opening in 2004, it has become a prominent fixture in Shanghai's nightlife scene, attracting both local socialites and international DJs. The club hosts various themed parties with costumed dancers and bottle rituals, drawing in a diverse crowd that includes baby-faced billionaires, F1 drivers, and Hollywood celebrities like Tom Cruise and Scarlett Johansson.
Nice club n bar in Shanghai The Bund area, with a great view of Shanghai city in the night from the roof top. Lots of drinks options by skilled bartender. Nice music , international atmosphere . If you like the nightclub, this spot should never skip! 🤩🤩
Yulia E — Google review
Cool place on the bund, but the lights of the buildings on the other side of the river were turned off, so the view wasn't as great as previously. They charge a surcharge if you sit outside at any of the tables. Whereas you can order at the bar for no extra cost. I found that weird. Music was really good. Excellent vibe. Popular place!
Christine A — Google review
The signage on the place says KEV not bar rouge, it’s a bit of a tourist trap. We ordered edemame and peanuts and it was as if someone had kept them in the fridge over night they came to the table almost frozen. We ordered a drink each and some pizza and after 45 mins we’re told we need to order more otherwise they would need us to pay and leave. On the plus side the music was great but I would not recommend this place
Z M — Google review
The views and staff are really nice, long islands drinks are really strong but expensive around 158 RMB for a cocktail but strong so worth it kind of.
Jenny T — Google review
Great bar with amazing music and atmosphere. The incredible view makes up for the higher drink prices.

Signature of the Bund. There top of Shanghai France Restaurant in 6th fl call Mr&Mrs Bund. Best view + fine dine here. Good music, good drink, classy. Price acceptable, start from 10$/salad and 25$/main. Highly recommend

It’s now called “The Kev” as the original place closed (don’t see a listing for it). Incredible skyline view so great place to grab drinks and enjoy it. Went on a Monday night so easier to find a table but still required a minimum.
James M — Google review
Now called KEF, this is a touristic bar/club with excellent views for a couple of drinks. The drinks are good, the crowd is less so. Not many people on the weekdays. Minimum charge to be seated.

Kartel Wine Bar is a popular spot located in the heart of Shanghai, between the Former French Concession and Jingan Temple. This three-story establishment features a diverse restaurant, a private lounge area, and a spacious rooftop terrace offering stunning 360-degree views of the city. The bar boasts an impressive selection of wines, wine-inspired cocktails, sangria, sparkling options, classic cocktails, and beer on tap. Additionally, guests can indulge in perfectly paired dishes while taking in the breathtaking scenery.
The reviews and photos (especially the photos) say it all - this is a great place to come day or night, depending on your favourite type of view. Very friendly staff, great view, and great patrons. we met some interesting and fun people when we dropped in for a drink and to enjoy a nice evening.

Nice roof top and perfect for a drink. The food is ok even if a bit expensive for Shanghai. No Chinese food, only international like burgers, mezzo platter, cured meat, etc. Totally an international place where you can enjoy a nice glass of wine or good cocktail.
Sandrine B — Google review
Great rooftop bar in the heart of Shanghai. It gets crowded, so make a reservation beforehand. Drinks are ok and priced like any other "fashionable expat bar" in Shanghai Would be a better vibe with some music; I'm not sure why they don't play any
Shiva — Google review
When I went there, they asked for pics of my special places. DO not go they then feed me food from the literal rubbish bin the waiters were so rude calling me racial slurs on several different occasions.
Byron A — Google review
This is one of the oldest rooftop bars around Shanghai, and it's heavily patronized by many expatriates and foreigners. It has a bird's eye view of the surrounding high rise hotels and buildings, and is located in one of Shanghai's more premium estates. The food is average bar food, and the drinks are nothing too fanciful. Do get their mozarella cheese balls, and their burger sliders. The fish was not up to mark when we tried it.
Flo Y — Google review
Hit & Miss, one of shanghais prominant rooftops. We once reserved a table and still got it even though the Rooftop was fully packed, The Rooftop section is mostly filled with Drinkers while level 5 the Diners. Happy Hour from 6-8pm where selected drinks are all 30rmb. Cocktails average at 70rmb while beers at 40rmb. Food wise the menu is limited and average around 130 for mains and 60 for deserts & starters. Service is a bit of a shocker considering there' s a lot of tables with no one waiting on them, seemed as if they only had bartenders and no floor staff. And theres only two toilet stalls besides the male urinal, so the toilet queue was always long.

Established in 2011, it is well known for its unique 360-degree panoramic Rooftop terrace and has become a must for wine Lovers in Shanghai. Kartel Wine Bar offers a unique, modern and impressive perspective on Shanghai combined to a hugely eclectic wine cellar and cocktails menu.

Sir Elly's is a luxurious rooftop bar located at The Peninsula Hotel on the Bund in Shanghai. It offers stunning panoramic views of the city skyline and provides cozy red blankets for guests to snuggle up with.
Picture this: the sun hanging low in the sky, casting a warm golden glow over the bustling Bund of Shanghai. It was a Sunday afternoon, and the city was alive with the harmonious blend of old-world charm and modern energy. Amidst this vibrant tapestry, I found myself on a journey to Sir Elly's Terrace, a hidden gem perched atop the Peninsula Hotel. The Bund, a historic waterfront area, has long been a canvas that tells the story of Shanghai's evolution. Its skyline, adorned with a collection of colonial-era architecture and towering skyscrapers, mirrors the city's dynamic soul. And in the heart of this lively mosaic, the Peninsula Hotel stands as a testament to the city's elegance and luxury. The Peninsula's history, entwined with the Kadoorie family's legacy, adds an extra layer of significance to this remarkable place. As I stepped onto Sir Elly's Terrace, a sense of enchantment enveloped me. It was around 5pm, and the terrace was bathed in a soft, ethereal light. The atmosphere was a symphony of relaxation and sophistication – a perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The Terrace's real magic lay in its panoramic views of the Bund. From this vantage point, I could feel time slowing down, allowing me to soak in the city's rich history and its modern ambitions. In the company of friends, I decided to embrace the moment with a classic cocktail – a Negroni. The Negroni's harmonious blend of flavors seemed to mirror the essence of the Bund itself – a fusion of old and new, bitter and sweet. Sipping the Negroni, I felt connected to the stories that had unfolded on these historic streets. The Peninsula Hotel is renowned for its impeccable service, and Sir Elly's Terrace was no exception. The staff's genuine warmth and attentiveness elevated the experience from wonderful to unforgettable. Every detail, from the perfect spot to offering insights about the city, was thoughtfully taken care of. It was as though the Peninsula's commitment to excellence extended beyond the walls of the hotel and onto the terrace. As the sun began its descent, I realized that my visit to Sir Elly's Terrace was more than a mere outing – it was a journey through Shanghai's heart. The Bund's timeless allure, the Kadoorie family's enduring legacy, and the Peninsula's dedication to creating moments of wonder all intertwined to craft an experience that I would forever cherish. As I reluctantly left the terrace, I couldn't help but marvel at how the city's vibrant energy continued to pulse. The Bund, with its history etched in its stones, stood as a testament to Shanghai's journey through time. And in the midst of it all, Sir Elly's Terrace remained a hidden oasis, a radiant jewel that had offered me an experience of pure enchantment. As I walked away, I knew that this was more than a visit – it was a story I would tell for years to come, a memory that had become a part of my own journey.

Certain dining experiences leave an unforgettable mark in your culinary memory, lingering long after the last bite. Not only the food is memorable, the interior of the restaurant is beautiful. And it’s a decadent experience to go here! Sir Elly’s is located with a breathtaking view of the Bund, and Huangpu River in an exclusive decadent setting. The chef and his team is creating magic here. Modern, jet classic cuisine created into a fantastic experience. Do I wanna come back, Yes I sure do. And that says it all.

Vue Bar, situated on the 32nd and 33rd floors of Hyatt on the Bund, provides breathtaking panoramic views of both the Lujiazui skyline and the Bund on the Puxi side. The bar features a spacious terrace where guests can savor delicious cocktails while taking in the stunning scenery. On the 33rd floor, visitors can unwind on daybed loungers or indulge in relaxation at a luxurious marble Jacuzzi.
Awesome night venue to see the amazing lights of Shanghai , great service by the team

Amazing views over the Bund, but not so impressed by the staff or drinks. My virgin piña colada was nothing to write home about - nothing special at all. The view was what was special. There's a hot tub on the deck which is pretty impressive, but it was more like a foot bath for guests. Looks nice for photos though! Prices are standard for a bar like this. Overall it's a nice addition to the Hyatt on the Bund hotel.
Adam N — Google review
One of the best rooftop bars I have been to, with good quality drinks and the best views. If your not staying in the hotel there is a fee, which in my opinion is a good thing.
Jason E — Google review
Absolute fantastic bar, bewath taking views absolutely amaxibg, located on 34th floor, Open space and indoor space both there, especially in chilling winter they have amazing table with heater on top with light. If you are in Shanghai try it its worth. You can get entry with cover if you ate not stayong in hotel, around 110 RMB and you get one drink free.
R P — Google review
While the view is certainly nice, probably the best you'll get of the Bund, I can't help but feel that the bar is over hyped and full of people that think themselves interesting. Worth it to go for one drink (which is included in the cover charge).
Stefan — Google review
Super bar and fantastic view! Just when you arrive at the reception of the hotel you can already feel that you are about to discover a nice place. Then the lift with a view outside taking you up to the 32th floor in a second! And the view even from the lift... wahoo!! Then you get to the reception entrance was 110 and include a drink and the choice of drink include Champagne! (And a Good French one!) What else to ask for? Make sur you go to the top and get you pics with the real view ! It’s amazing and I went there on a cloudy day so can’t even imagine how nice it will be in a clear day! Honestly don’t look further : you want the view and the nice drink, you find the place!
Sandrine B — Google review
View is certainly very nice and never mind the over priced drinks, but at least serve them in proper glasses instead of scratchy plastic goblets. The bottleneck to pay the cover charge once you step out of the elevator should also be fixed someway somehow.

View is likely one of the best in Shanghai. Drinks are ok - pricey as expected. Food is below average so definitely don't eat there

Located atop The Shanghai EDITION, ROOF offers an exclusive and stunning view of Shanghai. The rooftop bar features a beautiful ivy-covered trellis and comfortable loungers where guests can enjoy classic and innovative drinks prepared by expert mixologists. Meanwhile, The Fellas Terrace, formerly known as Shen, is an Italian restaurant and rooftop bar with a wraparound terrace providing magical riverside views of Shanghai.
We have spent so many wonderful evenings and unforgettable nights here – full of beautiful moments and cherished memories. Whether you come for a romantic evening for two, gather with friends, or host a business dinner, The Fellas is simply the perfect place. It feels like a return to a time when life and good company were truly celebrated. The cocktails are outstanding. Order a Moscow Mule, and you’ll enjoy the best one you have ever had. Prefer a glass of red wine? It will pair perfectly with your meal. And if you’re just thirsty for something refreshing, the beer selection won’t disappoint. Every wish is anticipated, and every guest is treated like royalty. The cuisine is a celebration of classic Italian flavors: from delicious antipasti to fresh pasta, pizza, and seafood dishes, all prepared perfectly. It’s the ideal food to share with friends and to create memories over a long, joyful evening. I would also like to sincerely thank all the staff members once again for welcoming us so warmly over the years. Being a guest here has been a privilege and a true pleasure. We can’t wait to return – The Fellas will always hold a special place in our hearts.

I had so many amazing, memorable meals in Shanghai, every single one picked by my sister, who lives there and clearly knows where to eat. Then I took the reins for one night and, naturally, managed to find the tourist trap. I wanted that classic Shanghai skyline dinner, you know, the postcard view with the Oriental Pearl Tower glowing in the background. So I booked Fellas, thinking even if the food wasn’t amazing, at least the view and vibes would deliver. The moment I told my sister, she sighed and said, “Jie jie, that place is for foreigners the food’s probably not good!” And….she was right. When we arrived, our waitress was a foreigner and 90% of the guests were, too. After almost a week of eating like locals (and not seeing another non-Asian diner anywhere), it felt like we’d crossed back into touristland. The food? Totally meh ..edible but forgettable. The service? Fine. The view? Gorgeous, as promised. So go in knowing what you’re signing up for: this isn’t where locals eat; it’s where visitors go for that skyline Instagram moment. One thing I learned: the best meals I had all week weren’t on Google or found online easily, they were only on Dianping, the local app. So if you’re hunting for true Shanghai flavor, that’s where you’ll find it. Fellas is just fine for the view but not for the food

My wife and I had plans to eat at Flair during our Last night in Shanghai. I had a friend recommend The Fellas and rather than going back to Flair, we decided to try a place we have never been before. We walked in early afternoon before they opened. The manager was able to make us a reservation for 6:30pm that evening. When we arrived we had very nice rooftop seats ready for us with an amazing view. Food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was very fun to be around. The service was great and we were able to see the city lights turn on at 7:00pm. I usually do not write reviews, but just landed back in the states and wanted to make sure I shared the great experience I had here. Thanks guys!

The Fellas Terrace is one of those places that instantly wins you over with its setting. Perched above the Bund, it offers a stunning outdoor terrace with panoramic views of Shanghai’s skyline, easily one of the best spots in the city to enjoy a drink under the open sky. The ambience is effortlessly chic, lively yet relaxed, and perfect for both a date night or a casual evening with friends. The cocktails are spot on, creative, well balanced, and served with flair. Their pizzas are also a pleasant surprise: thin, flavorful, and perfectly baked. The pastas, on the other hand, fall short of expectations and could use a bit more authenticity and depth in flavor. Still, the overall experience more than makes up for it. The service is warm and attentive without being intrusive, and the staff know how to make guests feel welcome. All in all, The Fellas Terrace is a must-visit in Shanghai. Come for the views and atmosphere, stay for the cocktails and good vibes. Highly recommended.

The Fellas is an absolute gem in Shanghai! The food is amazing—full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly crafted with care. The menu has something for everyone, and every bite impressed. The atmosphere is cool and stylish, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed yet elevated night out. Add to that the perfect rooftop view of the Bund, and you have one of the best night experiences in the city. Whether you're with friends or on a date, The Fellas offers everything for a great night to enjoy—incredible food, great service, and an unforgettable skyline.

Food is OK. Don't expect too much. The steak we ordered arrived kinda cold. Yes, although the restaurant was kind enough to bring a hot stone for us to cook it on (we wanted it more medium, arrived kinda M Rare). Also ordered pasta & pizza. Environment is good, near the bund with a view. Service wise - not too sure, maybe they thought we (asian and with a small kid) can't pay for the bill initially? Wasn't too friendly, till we started ordering and paying.. left right after we ate.

What a fantastic place to sit back and have a dinner drink while watching the boats go past. We ended up staying for dinner, and the food is outstanding. I highly recommend the Onion soup and Pistachio Fondant. The waitstaff are friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, I failed to take any photos of the food as u was enjoying myself too much.

Pop American Style Restaurant, located on the 7th floor of 3 Zhongshan Dong Yi Lu near Guangdong Lu, offers a spacious outdoor balcony with stunning views of Shanghai's iconic skyline. The restaurant pays homage to a retro 1970s American ambiance while infusing French influences into its comforting menu. Guests can reserve outdoor seating in advance for an opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking views from the railing.
One of the Iconic roof-top restaurants that can enjoy the undeniable views in The Bund district. The day I visit unfortunately the balcony was closed due to weather problem but friendly staff showed hospitality to enter and reckon to look around the other views. The meal was quite nice and with a classic glass of old fashioned, it's the best option you can choose in Shanghai if you looking for a glowy night ✨️
Hyeseong Y — Google review
POP on the Bund is undeniably one of the most iconic spots in Shanghai, perched elegantly along the historic Bund. The moment you step in, you're greeted with a chic, modern vibe that perfectly complements the timeless beauty of its surroundings. The real star of the show, however, is the breathtaking night view. The panoramic vista of the Shanghai skyline, with its glittering skyscrapers and the Huangpu River bustling with life, is nothing short of magical. It's a visual feast that makes the visit worthwhile. Food & Drinks: 2.5/5 While the ambiance is a clear winner, the food and drinks at POP on the Bund fall short of expectations, especially given the premium price point. The menu offers a mix of Western and Asian-inspired dishes, but the execution feels lackluster. The flavours are ordinary, lacking the creativity and depth you'd expect from a restaurant in such a prime location. The cocktails, though decent, are overpriced and don't stand out in a city like Shanghai, which is brimming with innovative mixology. Service: 3.5/5 The service is polite and attentive, though it feels a bit impersonal. Given the upscale setting, you'd hope for a more warm and engaging experience. The staff does their job efficiently, but there's a missed opportunity to elevate the overall dining experience with a more personalized touch. Value for Money: 2/5 Let's be honest-you're not coming to POP on the Bund for the food or drinks. You're here for the view, and that comes at a steep price. While the ambiance justifies some of the cost, the overall value for money is hard to justify when the culinary offerings don't match up to the setting. Final Verdict: 3.5/5 POP on the Bund is a must-visit for the unparalleled view of Shanghai's skyline and the Huangpu River. It's a perfect spot for a romantic evening or a special occasion where the backdrop takes center stage. However, if you're a foodie looking for an exceptional dining experience, you might want to temper your expectations. Come for the view, stay for a drink or two, and enjoy the ambiance-just don't expect the food to be the highlight of your visit.

Great terrace view of the bund, Pearl Tower skyline and nearby iconic buildings. The prices are high (700 rmb for 2 ppl dinner without dessert and alcohol). The POP salad was very delicious and big. Braised beef cheeks were melting in my mouth. But the Portuguese octopus (baby octopus) was too rubbery even though the surrounding stew was very good. The bread brought on the side was yummy and fresh. We walked in without reservation on Tuesday 7.30pm and got seated immediately (only 1 outside table was available). But 30 min later 2 more tables freed up. The inside space is very big and well air conditioned.

Only for the view. We went there for afternoon tea to rest and enjoy the Bund view. The high tea set is expensive and tasted horrible. Didnt enjoy the food at all. Service is only average. Took them a long time to prepare and serve us our high tea. I definitely wont come back here. You can only consider getting an expensive drink to enjoy the view. Dont bother with their food.

Nice place to eat, rather high prices considering the location. It was quite packed and „party style”, so if you are considering calm dinner then perhaps it’s not the place. While it is recommended in michellin guide, it does not resemble any other restaurants that I have visited from it.

Pop American Style Restaurant in Shanghai offers a delightful blend of American cuisine and Shanghai charm, conveniently located near the iconic Bund. Located above an unassuming hostel, CAPTAIN BAR offers a fantastic location with unimpeded views of the Bund. This hip loungey iteration has become a favorite spot for both locals and expats, offering craft cocktails, great beer selection, and superb handcrafted cocktails at affordable prices. The bar is open from 5pm to 1am on weekdays and from 11:30am to 1am on weekends.
Wow,great experience. 5 stars from me. The view is the key attraction. Food was great, better than I expected. (Note: It's Western food). And the cocktails are expertly crafted. It does get crowded. We went on Thursday evening and there was space outside. I suspect it will be full on the weekends.

Great views on the terrace. The lights on the bunds have a fixed time to be turned off.. keep that in mind! Really nice bar inside and out with good atmosphere. Cocktails were tasty although small and expensive. 3 star due to waiting 45 minutes for a drink. Drinks arrived to different people on our table at different times over 30 minutes. I would never return to any bar regardless of price, menu or atmosphere with those wait times and quality of service.

Amazing view of the skyline and casual vibes. Too hot sit outside in July -Aug even after sunset but there is a big fan helping a bit. The western food and drinks. The burger IS big and good, but i wish it had true pickle cucumbers and less sweet compote, it comes with a big portion of great fries which i could not finish, it is two people job. I got in on Sunday 6.30pm and got the last table outside. There is also very decent seating inside and great AC.

Bodies of Water
Huangpu River, located in Shanghai, is surrounded by various architectural marvels designed by renowned architects such as Benjamin Wood, Kengo Kuma, and Yichun Liu. The area features pedestrianized zones with bars and boutiques like Xintiandi, a mixed-use complex at Shipyard 1862 Renovation in the financial district of Pudong, and an art museum called Long Museum West Bund. Additionally, tour buses offer guided rides along the river passing classic city landmarks.
A walk along the rivers embankment is certainly something you should do when in Shanghai, on one side you have the ultra modern financial district with the skyscrapers and on the other you have all the old architecture, seeing so many boats go along the river with people enjoying the views. The cruise is a must as well.
Jamie H — Google review
Nigh view from the River. The Huangpu River is the lifeblood of Shanghai—both geographically and culturally. Stretching approximately 113 kilometers (70 miles), it divides the city into two iconic halves: Puxi (west of the river), the historic heart of Shanghai, and Pudong (east of the river), the modern financial hub. With a width ranging from 300 to 770 meters and an average depth of 9 meters, the river flows through 11 districts before merging with the Yangtze River at Wusong in Baoshan District . Historical Significance The Huangpu River has been central to Shanghai’s development since the Ming Dynasty. Formed in 1522, it became a vital artery for agriculture, irrigation, fishing, transportation, and flood control. Its strategic location turned Shanghai into a major port city, especially during the colonial era when foreign concessions were established along its banks . The river’s significance continued into the modern era, serving as a crucial shipping route and a source of drinking water for the city. Modern-Day Importance Today, the Huangpu River remains integral to Shanghai’s identity. It supplies approximately 40% of the city’s drinking water and continues to be a major shipping channel . The riverbanks have undergone significant revitalization, transforming former industrial zones into vibrant public spaces. Projects like the reconstruction of 22 kilometers of the east bank aim to create lively urban corridors that attract both locals and tourists . Cultural and Recreational Hub The Huangpu River is not just a functional waterway; it’s a cultural landmark. The Bund, located on the western bank, showcases a stunning array of colonial-era architecture, while the eastern bank in Pudong boasts futuristic skyscrapers like the Oriental Pearl Tower. River cruises offer panoramic views of these contrasting skylines, especially enchanting at night when the city lights reflect off the water. Additionally, the riverbanks host numerous festivals, art installations, and recreational activities, making it a dynamic space for community engagement. Environmental Efforts Recognizing the ecological importance of the Huangpu River, Shanghai has implemented measures to improve water quality and restore natural habitats. Efforts include reducing industrial discharges, enhancing sewage treatment, and promoting sustainable urban development along the riverbanks . In summary, the Huangpu River is more than a geographical feature; it’s a symbol of Shanghai’s past, present, and future. From its historical role in shaping the city’s growth to its current status as a center for culture and recreation, the river continues to be a defining element of Shanghai’s urban landscape.

The Huangpu River flows through the heart of city & divides Shanghai in older Puxi & newer Pudong area. River at near The Bund was popular tourist destination in Shanghai. East side was Pudong with modern high-rise skyscrapers along with iconic Pearl tower & 600-meter-high Shanghai tower whereas at north side was huge classical western buildings. River offered medium side cruise, especially during evening views from cruise deck was amazing.

Perched on the ninth floor of Bund 27, Roosevelt Sky Restaurant offers breathtaking views of the Huangpu River and has won numerous awards for its extensive wine list. The rooftop bar exudes luxury with its open-air deck, day beds, and plush sofas. Named after former presidents Theodore and Franklin Roosevelt, this upscale venue is perfect for indulging in champagne and house cocktails like the popular Bund Secret.
A rooftop restaurant and a bar above, provides one of the best places for perspectives and panoramic views of Bund over the river, especially for the night time. Highly recommended for exquisite and high-end experiences in Shanghai. From my point of view, this is "Your Place" for dinner in this magnificent city.

The view of The Bund from The Roosevelt Sky Restaurant is probably one of the best in Shanghai. Absolutely stunning and worth the visit for that alone. We were there when it started to pour. The clouds blocked the view for a while, but fortunately, it cleared up later, and we managed to get some beautiful photos. Unfortunately, the food was quite underwhelming. The Chinese cured meats platter was particularly disappointing. It didn’t taste good and, like the rest of the menu, was overpriced. It’s clear that you’re paying for the view, not the dining experience. Service was just okay. Not rude, but definitely not up to 5-star standards either. All in all, come here for the view, snap some photos, but temper your expectations when it comes to food and service. Great scenery, average service, and mediocre, overpriced food.

Tops bar, located above Banyan Tree, offers an awesome view of the bund. While the cocktail prices are considered a bit high for what you get, the overall experience is still enjoyable. The use of regular ice cubes instead of special ones for their old fashioned may be a downside for some. However, the food receives more praise than the drinks, with sweet potato fries and sausages being particularly impressive. The beautiful view and great service add to the overall appeal of this bar.

Stayed at Banyan Tree so Tops bar was just above. The view of the bund was awesome, but I believe the prices are little steep for cocktails (around 120 rmb per glass) - mind you it’s for an “okay” glass, nothing special. They use normal ice cubes for their old fashioned, not the normal ice block or ice balls. We ordered sweet potato fries and some sausages and was more impressed with the food than the drinks. There was also a minimum spending of 400RMB per table (believe it was what you have to pay for the view). If you stayed at Banyan and come early (which we didn’t), there was 1-1 for drinks.

The Bund is a historic 1,500-meter-long waterfront promenade in Shanghai, featuring a mix of modern and colonial buildings. The area has undergone gentrification, attracting luxury brands like MCM, Cartier, Prada, and Ralph Lauren to set up shop in former colonial banking and trading headquarters along the Huangpu River.
The Bund is a powerful visual lesson in economic progression, Shanghai has arrived at. I truly appreciate the sheer scale of ambition here. The colonial architecture on this side—a reminder of old foreign concession—provides a stunning contrast to Pudong’s futuristic Lujiazui skyline, a true symbol of modern Chinese might. It’s like watching 100 years of progress condensed across a single river. The current lifestyle is dazzling; a cosmopolitan buzz that rivals the Lion City, packed with high-end luxury and dining. Despite the crowds, the waterfront promenade is truly magnificent at night. A must-see spectacle.

A promenade along the Huangpu River with iconic views of Shanghai's skyscrapers and the Pearl Tower. Just steps away from Shanghai's bustling streets, dotted with historic European-style buildings, including the postal museum. There are plenty of vantage points to choose from, and plenty of street photographers are ready to help you snap photos. There aren't many good places to eat here, most of the places are overhyped and overpriced with terrible taste. There is one place to eat that we tried and it is cheap, some of the menu quite good and the taste is better than some of the expensive places there. The Bund, Shanghai 🌆💙 Such a beautiful place to enjoy both day and night! At night, the view is just magical — the city lights sparkle across the river, and you can see the Oriental Pearl Tower glowing in different colors. 💫 It feels so peaceful to walk along the riverside, with the cool breeze and the sound of the water. 🌸 The whole view is so romantic and dreamy — definitely one of my favorite spots in Shanghai. 💖

Shanghai without The Bund (外滩) is like dim sum without dumplings—just not complete. It’s Shanghai’s not-so-secret runway, where East meets West, history flirts with modernity, and selfie sticks reign supreme. By day, it’s business as usual—lined with tour buses, hustling city folk, and the occasional confused traveler chasing after their hop-on hop-off ride. But when the clock tower strikes seven, The skyline lights up like Cinderella transformed into her glowy gown. On one side, you’ve got a row of grand old dames—colonial-era banks and hotels standing tall since the 1920s, whispering stories of “Old Shanghai glamour.” On the other, the futuristic squad: Oriental Pearl Tower (the OG Insta star), Shanghai Tower (tall enough to poke the clouds), and Jin Mao Tower (always dressed sharp). *Tip*: prepare for crowd-sardine mode. The railing? Fully booked. Influencers practicing their angles, “paparazzi” snapping away, and you sandwiched in the middle like a star nobody paid for. Joke me not—it’s chaos, but it’s glorious chaos. 🚇 Hop off Line 2 at Nanjing East Road, then follow the human river (they’re all heading Bund-wards). 📸 Day strolls are chill, night lights are magical—but guard your spot like front row at a Taylor Swift concert. 🥂 Feeling fancy? Head up to The Roosevelt (罗思维)—rooftop dining with views so good your cocktail tastes twice as expensive (and worth every sip). Perfect for escaping the sardine railings while still lapping up that postcard skyline.

The Bund (外滩) is truly the heart and soul of Shanghai. Walking along the riverfront feels like stepping into a living postcard, where the majestic colonial-era buildings meet the breathtaking modern skyline of Pudong. The view, especially at night when the city lights reflec t on the Huangpu River, is simply unforgettable. It’s the perfect place for a stroll, photography, or just soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of Shanghai. The mix of history and modernity makes The Bund a must-visit destination for anyone coming to the city. A visit here is always magical and leaves you with lasting memories.
Michael K — Google review
A postcard can't capture the energy here. We came for the iconic skyline but fell in love with the atmosphere. Strolling as the sun set and the city lights ignited was pure magic. The perfect blend of historic grandeur and futuristic wonder. An absolute must do.
Mohamed K — Google review
The Bund (also known as the Waitan) is a famous waterfront and protected historical district in central Shanghai, China, known for its unique blend of historic colonial architecture and modern skyline views across the Huangpu River. The Bund features 52 buildings along a 1.5-kilometer (0.9 mile) stretch of Zhongshan Road that showcase a range of architectural styles from the 19th and early 20th centuries, including Gothic, Baroque, Neoclassical, Romanesque, and Art Deco. The historic buildings on the west bank of the Huangpu River offer a striking contrast to the modern, futuristic skyscrapers of the Lujiazui financial district on the east bank, embodying Shanghai's rapid transformation. The area is a popular destination for both tourists and locals, bustling with activity day and night. The buildings and the Pudong skyline are dramatically illuminated in the evening, providing spectacular photo opportunities. A walk along the riverside promenade is the best way to appreciate the architecture and the dynamic cityscape on both sides of the river.

Nestled in the heart of Shanghai's former French Concession, Lost Heaven Bar is a must-visit for those seeking an authentic Yunnan dining experience. The restaurant boasts a captivating interior adorned with intricate handiworks and patterns representing various tribes, creating a mesmerizing ambiance. Here, guests can indulge in Yunnan folk cuisine with a personal touch, featuring unique ingredients like wa coriander, truffles, and sand ginger leaves.
Had a lovely dinner, recommended by my mom who dined here on a previous business trip. It seems the majority of diners are non-local, but from what I read online, it’s pretty good Yunnanese food. A hot favourite was the Wild Vegetable Pancakes - (what I think was) the coriander cut through, which I love! Cucumber Flowers were one of my favourites. Super unique and well seasoned. Interesting texture - a slight crunch from the bud, while the flowery area was tender and “leafy”. The roast pork was also high up in my list of must-order dishes. Juicy but crispy on the sides. The dipping sauce was also light and savoury. The hot and sour sea cucumber soup was hotter than imagined - and this comes from a family who loves spice. Sea cucumber isn’t for everyone but, to me, it felt like premium black fungus (aka wood ear mushrooms). Service was attentive and the ambience is very cool. You might get a shock when you use the washrooms though! There’s no mirror and the men’s sinks face the women’s sinks!

Whatever I say does not do justice to the taste and the ambience of this restaurant just wow! Raddison Collection’s concierge suggested this restaurant to us and honestly the 21 minutes walk was totally worth it. At first when we reached we thought there were no customers but as we went to the second floor we were like wowww! Never judge a book by its cover! If you are in Shanghai, looking for filling and delicious food, this is the place!!!!

Lost Heaven Bar is a hidden gem in Shanghai — you go up a staircase and step into a beautifully decorated space with dark, moody lighting that instantly feels special. The atmosphere is cozy and a little mysterious, perfect for a date or a relaxed evening out. The service is excellent and attentive, though they do clear plates very quickly (so don’t be surprised if your dishes disappear fast). The food, however, is the real star — honestly a 10+. Every dish we tried was full of flavor and clearly made with care. If you’re in Shanghai, don’t miss this place. It’s worth the visit and worth the money. This place was tecommended by a fried who lived and worked in Shanghai for several years. We had a sensational meal anchored by the truffle fried rice with beef. It was a big serve for two but it was so good and we managed to polish it off. Our other three dishes were a Dai salad with sa sauce. The light and airy deep-fried tofu and the piquant sauce was a nice mix of texture and taste. The vegetables were very fresh. We also enjoyed the diced tomato on aubergine that was seasoned with cumin and coroander. Our other choice was a bean jelly dish hose dressing was a little like a pesto and had crunch with the inclusion of roasted peanuts. We washed it all down with a pot of pu'er tea. Service was very good with the wait staff attentive but not intrusive. We loved the decor too. We walked in at noon without reservations on a weekday. I'm told evening and weekends are very busy. Lost Heaven is on my must-do list when I visit Shanghai again.

Came here 2nd time after many years. The ambience, settings and food are almost the same. Presentation is really good, not just the dining but even their toilet is giving you a really matching vibes.. Lost Heaven is a Yunnan cuisine and don't worry, you can find serious delicious food inside. Since we only have 3 pax, we make the best of our dinner here. Some of the food that we ordered were the yunnan wild vege cake which looks very ordinary but not the taste (a good experience of course); we also had the dali sytle chicken with bellpeppers & onions.. is not spicy, so we love it!; yunnan eggplant & taufu salad; Tibet roasted lamb... and i forgot 1 more dish.. too long ago.. hahaha.. anyway it will be an awesome experience for those who wants good food with great ambience.

Lost Heaven Bar is one of Shanghai’s gems — a perfect mix of authentic Yunnan flavors, beautiful atmosphere, and warm hospitality. The food is bursting with flavor (don’t miss the Dai-style chicken and mint salad), and the cocktails are smooth and creative. What really made the night special was Steven’s outstanding service. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish — truly going above and beyond. The decor is elegant, the music sets the mood, and the whole experience feels refined yet relaxed. Whether you’re here for dinner, drinks, or a night out near The Bund, you can’t go wrong. Highly recommend — ask for Steven!

Nestled in the heart of Shanghai, M on the Bund has established itself as a beloved culinary landmark over its nearly two-decade history. This stylish venue is perfect for impressing friends or even catching a glimpse of celebrities who have graced its tables, including members of royalty and Hollywood stars. The restaurant's menu features an array of global flavors, with highlights like the crispy suckling pig paired with poached apples that keeps diners coming back for more.
Best view on their balcony and I love the throw back in era decoration. All our food was excellent and especially our desserts. The afternoon tea set looks divine. Will always come back when I’m in Shanghai!!!

A very nice location to start your evening. The outdoor seating is well appointed. The service was excellent and the food well proportioned and very tasty. The style is Western with Asian influences. The wines were reasonably priced. Like a lot of places you have to look at the buildings list of tenants to see this is on the 5th Floor.
Carl R — Google review
A great location to see the Bund, with an unbeatable view of the Bund and the tall buildings in Pudong. The view from the outdoor patio is direct and from the insider you can peek at the view through the windows. The food compares to the most expensive restaurants in the US. The food quality is not great as compared to this that charge those prices in the US. You are paying for the view and the atmosphere here but it may well be worth it.

M on the Bund’s still going strong on its 20th anniversary and I wholeheartedly recommend loosening the purse strings for the excellent food and view of the Huangpu River and Pudong skyline. Would be a solid 5 stars had the service been up to scratch.

Came here for high tea. Outside seating available. They do have really nice view; however, the decor and overall experience are fine. Most sandwiches and desserts are appetizing, but cappuccino is poor. ¥150 up per person.
Shihho Y — Google review
If you're here for the food, it's ok, but not fantastic. Everything tasting fine but it wasn't the meal you'd expect for a £200 British pounds meal for a 3 course for two with a bottle of wine. But what made this experience worth while and why I wasn't fussed to pay that price was for the view. I came here on my first evening in Shanghai and my first experience of the Shanghai skyline - and it's something that genuinely blew my socks off. The view you get is exceptional from their terrace area, which we always snuck out to in-between our courses and to enjoy finishing off our bottle of wine before our dessert came out. You're about 5 stories up from what I remember and can see all sides of the Huangpu river. The staff were also very friendly and some were English speaking which helped. If this is your first time in Shanghai, I'd recommend booking a table here just for the view.

I was here the first year they opened in Shanghai 20 years ago. Way back there were few competitors. Bravo that she is still in the same location for 20 years. The Bund had become more beautiful. The balcony is still one of the most photogenic. Food menu has evolved. Though I have eaten some very creative menu elsewhere. I would say it still retain a four stars.

Great experience. Best view of the Bund. Food was all about great combination. Seafood pasta appetizer, was ok. Roasted cauliflower, great combination of cauliflower, nuts, pomogranate, olive oil. Wasn't expecting much but WOW was it good. Palova (which they r famous for), combination of softness and crunchiness. Sweet and sour. HUGE portion but I still finish it.

The House of Roosevelt, located on the Bund in Shanghai, is renowned for its exceptional wine bar and breathtaking river view. While the prices for wine bottles start at around 400RMB, the rooftop terrace offers an unparalleled panorama of the city. The establishment also houses a luxurious members-only club with private dining rooms and extensive wine vaults. Additionally, it has ties to the Roosevelt family of America through Tweed Roosevelt, President Theodore Roosevelt's great-grandson.
Great Roof Top Bar in Shanghai Waitan(?) Area. Great vibe and atmosphere with beatiful view of Shanghai is guaranteed, however the price is a bit expensive. The light is turned off since 2100, so I recommend to visit earlier to enjoy the rooftop view fully.

Landmark on Shanghai's Bund waterfront. Originally a colonial trading firm built in the 1920s. Sipping cocktails in the Great rooftop bar with Marvellous angle view of Pudong CBD from the House Of Roosevelt. Never skip this spot whenever in Shanghai 🤩🤩
Yulia E — Google review
Shanghai in the roaring 1920s. The Bund is full of swagger, colonial architecture, horse-drawn carriages (or something like that), and Jardine Matheson is doing its trading thing. In 1922, one of the grand buildings along the waterfront was built to house that very firm: an elegant, granite-faced neo-classical / modern-Renaissance mansion with arched windows, colonnades, and all the architectural glitz. Fast-forward many decades, Shanghai went through its changes, wars, political shifts, and whatnot. Then in 2008, this building (Number 27, The Bund) was acquired by Roosevelt China Investments (yes, that Roosevelt). They decided to restore it — bring back the marble and brass staircases, the wood paneling, and turn it into a lifestyle & dining multi-venue: wine cellar, sky restaurant and bar, private club, etc. Officially opened around 2010. So you walk in one foot in history, the other in haute cuisine and cocktails.
The T — Google review
The freshness and quality of foods are ok, but the overall food taste are not as good as other reviews. Maybe the chief modified the taste for local visitors, it is not for us who from oversea (the quality of taste is not special for us), we can easlier order similar foods with the price 50- 60% cheaper. If the price is 50% cheaper along with the quality of food I had, then they deserve a 4 stars. Customer service was excellent. The rooftop view are the best.
Karen H — Google review
The House of Roosevelt 外滩罗斯福公馆 is what happens when extravagance catches a permit and decides to throw a mansion-party on the Huangpu. You walk into a grand 1922 stone mansion (once Jardine Matheson’s, because of course it was), and suddenly you’re in a stage set where the walls, ceiling, and glass panes all insist you look wealthy, even if your bank account is trembling. They’ve carved this place into tiers of showmanship: the Wine Cellar whispers privilege, the Sky Bar shouts panoramic skyline selfies, and the private lounges wink conspiratorially at you like “you made it here, so congratulations.” The view across Pudong is the kind of backdrop that laughs at fog and smog—steel towers shimmering, lights blinking, river reflecting every gloss and glare. Fine wine, wagyu, plates that cost more than your weekend plan.. yes, it’s steep. But part of the allure is paying for the story: glamour, history, and the performative art of looking like you belong. This place trades in prestige, not just meals. If luxury were a costume, The House of Roosevelt is your red carpet.. expensive to rent, dazzling to wear, unforgettable to post.

As someone who enjoys Michelin-starred restaurants, fine dining, and high-end sushi experiences, every visit to Shanghai is a thrill for me. During this trip, I had the pleasure of dining at 102 House, a Michelin 2-star restaurant. One notable downside: the location is very hard to find on Google Maps. As a workaround, I had to leave this review under a different restaurant located in the same building—on the 5th floor, where 102 House is also situated. We were offered a private room with stunning views, which set the tone for an exceptional evening. Service was operated by a team of three staff members—one delivering the dishes, one attending the table, and one who fluently explained each course in English. They clearly detailed how premium ingredients sourced from across China were prepared and served, which added to the depth of the experience. The cuisine was subtle, refined, and flavorful without being overpowering—a perfect balance. I would definitely return. Also worth mentioning: the white wine and champagne list was excellent.

Great dining experience at this restaurant on the highest floor of the Pudong Shangri-la hotel. Super attentive waiter (fluent in English which is a plus) with incredible views of the bund. The meal was on the pricey side but expected for the “fancier” eating experience. I ordered a la carte - the meal came with complimentary hor d’oeuvres, bread, and little desserts. Their seafood dishes (not pictured) were phenomenal!

One of the best duck menus I have ever tasted. Chef Olivier Pistre has combined all the best flavours of la cuisine francaise in this tasteful delight menu Fatty Duck. The delicate use of herbs, berries and nuts bring back the memories of La Chèvre d’Or in Eze Village. Combined with the glittering views of The Bund reminding of European Belle Époque, this combination found in Shanghai is just mind blowingly amazing. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

However, visitors should be aware of the strict dress code that prohibits shorts or sneakers.
Love its vibes!! Music is a bit commercial but that's why I like it. It is not too crowded or huge but a bit cozy for a club. It's more like a lounge bar with loud music and busy stage. Staffs were so nice they offered me some free drinks! I definitely want to come back.

Went to the nightclub, so I don't know about the restaurant. DJ was playing some excellent nu disco you can dance to, think kinda funky house that doesn't seem out of place in a club. Music was a little bit less loud than some other clubs, so you are actually able to have a conversation one on one with some shouting. They have a quite upscale decor and atmosphere with black leather couches, black tables, pink lights and even a 10 meter something long shark tank. Dress code is usually elegant which means any clean clothes and fresh grooming as long as you look good. No slippers, shorts (men) or sport shoes. Had a lot of young, Western people in a good mood.

The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is a futuristic 468-meter tall structure in Shanghai, offering panoramic city views, a history museum, and a revolving restaurant. It is located in the Lujiazui area and is part of the modern Shanghai skyline. The tower features iconic metallic spheres and serves as an entertainment center with multimedia shows, VR roller coasters, and observation decks including a glass-bottomed observatory.
A Stunning Experience at the Oriental Pearl Tower 🌃 I visited the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai at the end of February 2025, and it was truly unforgettable. The weather was quite cold, but I actually loved it — the cool air made the whole atmosphere feel calm and refreshing. The tower itself is absolutely gigantic and a total eye-catcher. You can’t help but be amazed by its unique design and impressive height. It dominates the skyline in the most elegant way! What truly took my breath away was seeing the tower at night — the lights are absolutely stunning. It glows beautifully, changing colors and standing out as one of the highlights of the city. It felt magical just being there and taking it all in. If you’re ever in Shanghai, the Oriental Pearl Tower is a must-visit — both for the amazing view and the unforgettable city vibe.

This is an important landmark that is highly recommended if you are in Shanghai. You can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Shanghai from above. The view from the top is even more beautiful, especially at night. The only downside is that you won't be able to see the Pearl Tower. The elevator queue can be quite long, depending on whether you visit on a weekday or a holiday. There are several souvenir shops downstairs.

This tower is one of the city's great symbols. Its design is very modern and different, really standing out in the Pudong landscape. The walk along the river, whether on the Bund or on its side, is great for observing it. At night, it's all lit up and the city view is beautiful. We didn't see it with any special light show, and it was hard to find official info about it. In any case, the normal lighting is already very nice. Free access to see from the outside.

One of the most remarkable building in shanghai. Ticket can be purchased if you want to go up the observatory. But you can also not purchase a ticket and just go in the lobby. Glass floor observatory is nice and offers more option to see the city and also for your photographs. Lots of stores outside the building and also at the lobby. There's also a large coke store located here. Shanghai history museum can be found here and ticket is included if you purchase the 199 rmb ticket for oriental pearl observatory.

I visited Venus and inquired about the prices, but then I discovered that trip.com offers a better deal for the same tickets. So, make sure to check online before making a commitment. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, especially during sunset, which is the perfect time to explore the tower. You can also visit the top level, although it may be a bit pricey. Personally, I believe the view from the second level is more than sufficient.

The Oriental Pearl Tower offers fantastic panoramic views of Shanghai and a fun glass-floor experience. However, it can get extremely crowded, and the waiting time is quite long — best to visit early or on a weekday. Still, it’s an iconic landmark worth seeing at least once!

New Heights is a restaurant located at the top of Three on the Bund, offering an elevated panorama of the city and a delightful culinary experience. The warm and friendly environment makes it suitable for business meetings or a night out with friends. On Friday and Saturday evenings, a DJ spins to liven up the atmosphere. It's considered a must-visit brunch spot in the city, offering beautiful views, delicious food at great prices, and refreshing sangria.
Excellent rooftop with magnificent views of Pudong

Atmosphere is great, overseeing the Bund but that's the only plus point you get for this rooftop bar/restaurant. Food wasn't that fantastic, here only for the view. Service really depends on the server.
Vivian L — Google review
Have a drink (¥80 for cocktail+10% service fee) and enjoy a nice view of the Bund.

Must go to brunch spot when in the city! Dont miss out on the beautiful view, delicious food selection at a great price and be sure to try the sangria.

My friend said going to Bund to have brunch to prove I am in shanghai. Thus, we came to POP to have very late brunch. The view was great while sitting on the balcony, but a bit chilling. The brunch had pretty good selection and portions are generous with good money value. Highly recommend this place for food and drinks!
Huang C — Google review
Great balcony view, very quiet on a Saturday as the sun goes down... Thousands of people walking below on the bund but was able to get a couch right on the edge of the balcony!! Great cocktails. A very nice mojito. Didn't try the food
Simon A — Google review
Great views over the bund, the drinks are nothing special though.

Upon arrival for high tea we were directed to the back room (not shown there). Because the outside area was full, we were given an inside table to sit at until a table became available. We finally had to get menus ourselves to look at. They eventually put us at a table outside, but when it started to sprinkle, we wanted to return inside so as not to get wet. The waiter WATCHED as we toted in our bags and all of the plates, cups, etc, without helping or even holding the door open for us! To top it all, we were in the middle of eating and they presented us with the bill. Personally, I don't like handling money and food at the same time and would have been happy to pay either before or after, but no, we had to pay right then. I have been to New Heights before and always enjoyed meals there, but this time was an absolute disaster.
