Love its vibes!! Music is a bit commercial but that's why I like it. It is not too crowded or huge but a bit cozy for a club. It's more like a lounge bar with loud music and busy stage. Staffs were so nice they offered me some free drinks! I definitely want to come back.

DJ was playing some excellent nu disco you can dance to, think kinda funky house that doesn't seem out of place in a club.
Music was a little bit less loud than some other clubs, so you are actually able to have a conversation one on one with some shouting.
They have a quite upscale decor and atmosphere with black leather couches, black tables, pink lights and even a 10 meter something long shark tank.
Dress code is usually elegant which means any clean clothes and fresh grooming as long as you look good. No slippers, shorts (men) or sport shoes.
Had a lot of young, Western people in a good mood.
Important notice! The place is closed since years already
"Awesome shark tank" was sad to see them in such a small confinement. Animals used as bar decor- you can tell they hate it and the loud music freaks them out. 😞 this place supports animal abuse.

Cool place on the bund, but the lights of the buildings on the other side of the river were turned off, so the view wasn't as great as previously.
They charge a surcharge if you sit outside at any of the tables. Whereas you can order at the bar for no extra cost. I found that weird.

The signage on the place says KEV not bar rouge, it’s a bit of a tourist trap. We ordered edemame and peanuts and it was as if someone had kept them in the fridge over night they came to the table almost frozen. We ordered a drink each and some pizza and after 45 mins we’re told we need to order more otherwise they would need us to pay and leave. On the plus side the music was great but I would not recommend this place
The views and staff are really nice, long islands drinks are really strong but expensive around 158 RMB for a cocktail but strong so worth it kind of.

It’s now called “The Kev” as the original place closed (don’t see a listing for it). Incredible skyline view so great place to grab drinks and enjoy it. Went on a Monday night so easier to find a table but still required a minimum.
Now called KEF, this is a touristic bar/club with excellent views for a couple of drinks. The drinks are good, the crowd is less so. Not many people
on the weekdays. Minimum charge to be seated.

Since 1995, it has been a haven for both local and international jazz and blues acts, hosting talented musicians for three-month stints alongside local performers on mellow Mondays and lively jam sessions on Sundays.

Sunday night jam session! It was so good, featuring quality artists and musicians from America, France and Australia. The absolute highlight of our trip to Shanghai. Staff were very good and attentive. The place was still going when we left at 1:00am.
Very very bad service, food is slow and the staff gave my food to other people. Overall just bad, wouldn’t recommend.
When I came there was no one, tables around me are already receiving their food and I was waiting for my food just to realise they gave it to other people on my table. I ordered a set, they should have known better.

Amazing views over the Bund, but not so impressed by the staff or drinks. My virgin piña colada was nothing to write home about - nothing special at all. The view was what was special.
There's a hot tub on the deck which is pretty impressive, but it was more like a foot bath for guests. Looks nice for photos though!

Super bar and fantastic view! Just when you arrive at the reception of the hotel you can already feel that you are about to discover a nice place. Then the lift with a view outside taking you up to the 32th floor in a second! And the view even from the lift... wahoo!! Then you get to the reception entrance was 110 and include a drink and the choice of drink include Champagne! (And a Good French one!) What else to ask for?
Make sur you go to the top and get you pics with the real view ! It’s amazing and I went there on a cloudy day so can’t even imagine how nice it will be in a clear day! Honestly don’t look further : you want the view and the nice drink, you find the place!
View is certainly very nice and never mind the over priced drinks, but at least serve them in proper glasses instead of scratchy plastic goblets. The bottleneck to pay the cover charge once you step out of the elevator should also be fixed someway somehow.

A classy and higher priced hotel bar with a live jazz band and a singer. Cocktails are $20-24, and there is a nice way of how the menu is presented to you in a chest. You are also getting a substantial set of nuts and olives with your drink. On a Saturday night around 9pm it was 30% filled, the band was playing and a singer stopped around 10pm.

A stunning historic bar inside an equally beautiful property. Fantastic service and drinks, and an impressive snacks trolley. I went on a Wednesday and Thursday night, and despite the live music, it was surprisingly quiet both nights. Seems Shanghai doesn't have the evening atmosphere you'd expect from an international city with a nearby business district. Will definitely return though.

At first I was skeptical, because I thought its another Hotel bar. I was proven wrong. This place is a true gem! I had the best experience!!! The service was outstanding. Every person makes you feel so welcome. Eddie was exceptionally welcoming! The tequila based cocktail I had, absolutely delicious! and the music just wow!!!! I stepped out of this place so energized. Best bar, drinks and service in Shanghai. This place is probably in my top 2 bars of all time anywhere on earth. A hand-selected bar snack trolley was an Amazing touch - as were the salted egg yolk fries! Live music on Thursdays to Saturdays completes the ultra cool vibe. Special shout out to Vincent and Eddie for the superb and absolutely world class hospitality. But the whole team are amazing!

Considering the cocktail game in Shanghai is in early stages of development, cocktails are competitive. When I went there, they asked for pics of my special places. DO not go they then feed me food from the literal rubbish bin the waiters were so rude calling me racial slurs on several different occasions.
This is one of the oldest rooftop bars around Shanghai, and it's heavily patronized by many expatriates and foreigners. It has a bird's eye view of the surrounding high rise hotels and buildings, and is located in one of Shanghai's more premium estates. The food is average bar food, and the drinks are nothing too fanciful. Do get their mozarella cheese balls, and their burger sliders. The fish was not up to mark when we tried it.

We once reserved a table and still got it even though the Rooftop was fully packed, The Rooftop section is mostly filled with Drinkers while level 5 the Diners. Service is a bit of a shocker considering there' s a lot of tables with no one waiting on them, seemed as if they only had bartenders and no floor staff. And theres only two toilet stalls besides the male urinal, so the toilet queue was always long.

Lovely place. Service is a bit slow and not especially friendly. Even though this is a western restaurant, the staff doesn’t really speak English. Ingredients are fresh, drinks are good, and the outside sitting area is right in front of the park. Inside, decoration is minimal, though. Prices are on the higher side for a simple snack but still reasonable for a western restaurant in this area. Overall recommended, but not as good as The Refinery, less than 1km away.
We received poor service and were poorly treated. The staff were impatient and rude! The beer was served warm. The environment was unpleasant because we were seated in a corner near a bathroom that smelled bad, and we were never attended to! Due to the poor service, the kitchen closed before we could order food! The beer is not worth going for.

Delicious wings, closest i have had to wings in USA. The Buffalo sauce was very very close to the real deal. Delicious nachos! Love the chips. Beer is delicious. They have a flight so you can try tons of their options.
A nice location close to many shops, restaurants, and plazas. Some beers are excellent, some are ordinary, and the spicy Korean chicken I had was underwhelming due to its saltiness, but the space was vast and well-decorated.
I love this place! Found it as I was walking around the area and I’m glad I did. Great attentive service and delicious food. I had a bacon burger w/ fries, washed it all down with at least 3 different IPA’s which were all good. When I’m in Shanghai, I’m coming back!

Reliable place to watch Australian Sport in Shanghai. You can watch AFL and Rugby League at the same time, which is good. Plenty of Western Food options as well like burgers and Chicken Parmie. Western prices for beer too. RMB50 for a Paulaner or Jing A.
A popular sports bar with reasonably priced drinks and decent atmosphere with mixture of expats and locals. Busy during big sports events, but plenty of seating and standing space with TV screens throughout.
They serve beer. I highly recommend the lasagna and the side pasta salad. Unfortunately not enough NHL and NFL but far too much cricket which is not very good. Fridays are also good but go in to prearrange real sports. Word to the wise, there be lots of australian. Unfortunately you won't be served a chinese meal, a succulent chinese meal there.

Wow,great experience. 5 stars from me. The view is the key attraction. Food was great, better than I expected. (Note: It's Western food). And the cocktails are expertly crafted. It does get crowded. We went on Thursday evening and there was space outside. I suspect it will be full on the weekends.

Great views on the terrace. The lights on the bunds have a fixed time to be turned off.. keep that in mind! Really nice bar inside and out with good atmosphere. Cocktails were tasty although small and expensive. 3 star due to waiting 45 minutes for a drink. Drinks arrived to different people on our table at different times over 30 minutes. I would never return to any bar regardless of price, menu or atmosphere with those wait times and quality of service.

Cheap drinks, lots of people to meet, busy place so try to go early on weekends. Lots of English speakers and students frequent this place. Buying drinks in bulk here (pitcher of beer, round of shots) seems to be very cost effective. Food is good here, but this is still in Shanghai, so if you want cheap you can grab noodles from any random street cart nearby.
For what it is - a slightly smoky, laid back and pool-heavy establishment - windows is great. On Mexican night you can get unlimited, all you can eat food with a few drinks for roughly 150RMB.
View isn’t bad, and if you aren’t looking for much, this is the place.

I bought a water for 15rmb (its 2rmb at family mart), then while playing pool, i placed down my water and took my shot, and when i turned around, they had thrown my half drunken water in the trash. A good place to relax and drink beers, but if you are into craft beers, this is not the place. Based on the staff this place use to brew onsite, but not anymore. Pity that rather having small brewery's beers, the beers they serve is pretty mass produce. With few exceptions. The food is good and the design of the bar interesting. Terrasse is a good place to enjoy as being adjacent to a small street with view on a parc.

The address of this place is wrong. It should be 20 Donghu Road, it is near Huai Hai Road. The current address listed is the old address before they moved around 2 years ago. The new Shanghai Brewery is a step up from the previous one, especially the food offerings.

This is a decent beer bar for a casual drop in, now called World of Beer. It's enormous inside, with a lot of seating and an interesting selection of beer on tap and in bottle.
It's easy to get to by the 71 bus (about a block away from the stop) and it's in a busy neighboorhood,, lots of scooter parking and Fumin Road is still (August 2021) scooter friendly.
We went on a Friday night and found a packed, fun club atmosphere. Service and beer were lackluster, though, and they only had five beers on tap and not much in the bottle. Certainly not the best beer selection in Shanghai, as some reviewers have said.
So it is rather pricey but it is all fantastic quality. I recommend getting the beer sampler just for an experience of tasting different styles. Remember drink wheat to dark. Went with some Chinese friends who thought that the tasting sampler was all about getting drunk. Loved the IPA the most... nice and hop-a-licious.
We tried most of the snack foods and the onion rings were the best. Nachos were a bit stale but I wasn't expecting much. A friend got the chicken salad and it was a good size with quite a lot of chicken.

I came in here at 1am on Sunday night/Monday morning which isn't a good time to judge any bar, except to say "thank you" for being open. If I can, I would like to come back when they are busier. Upon arrival for high tea we were directed to the back room (not shown there). Because the outside area was full, we were given an inside table to sit at until a table became available. We finally had to get menus ourselves to look at. They eventually put us at a table outside, but when it started to sprinkle, we wanted to return inside so as not to get wet. The waiter WATCHED as we toted in our bags and all of the plates, cups, etc, without helping or even holding the door open for us! To top it all, we were in the middle of eating and they presented us with the bill. Personally, I don't like handling money and food at the same time and would have been happy to pay either before or after, but no, we had to pay right then. I have been to New Heights before and always enjoyed meals there, but this time was an absolute disaster.

Fantastic craft beer bar in Shanghai. As a Brit I’d never heard of this chain but was impressed with the selection of beers available. Recommend the fruit beers and sours. Food was nice, bar snack type options available as well as meals like burgers. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

After a walk from the location on Google Maps/Trip Advisor, this place did hit the spot. But given the awards, I was actually expecting a little more. The cocktails were good, but not especially exceptional. The pork burger was tasty, but not out of this world. Atmosphere was good, but it seemed like they weren't sure whether the theme was fancy mixology, elevated dive bar, or British pub.
I wasn’t impressed. The bar itself is nice but the drinks were just okay and served on minute glasses. They’re serving 98rmb/15 usd dollar drinks in tea sized cups. There are much better bars in Shanghai!
