Bakery
Tbs-The Bakery shop is a charming and clean establishment located on the main street. Visitors rave about the delightful basmoula and an array of unique desserts. The friendly staff and comfortable seating area add to the inviting atmosphere. Additionally, patrons appreciate the delicious coffee served in new cup designs that support Palestine.
Wow! So glad we get to have this bakery next to our hotel. So, so good. Top quality. Better than in many european bakeries. Staff is great, too. We will miss it once we leave Cairo.
Antonija P — Google review
Location is good. Crozonie chicken pesto was fresh and very good. The mixed nuts were also good though the portion is small for the price. Iced Spanish Matcha and Cinnamon Vanilla Latte were too sweet so I didn't really like them. Prices are the same as any café nowadays. The branch gets very crowded at 11 am. Staff were quick and polite.
Nora S — Google review
bed servis, btw their toilets are for staff only, visitors are told to go to the outside toilets, Honestly, the shop is quiet, because the service is very bad
Aqil M — Google review
Coffee, bakeries, products 5/5 Staff hospitality 5/5 Amenities 1/5 Great coffee, bakeries, and hospitality from the very friendly and helpful staff. Place has enough seatings with MANY power outlets (at least 4 per booth), BUT the problem arises when there’s a high usage of electricity/above minimal usage, then the store has to cut off all of the power outlets’ electricity - which isn’t the best situation if you need to charge your devices - ESPECIALLY when you’re working and using a mifi (that needs power) or your phone as a hotspot to your laptop.. as the store does NOT have WIFI... What really does not make sense is the lack of restrooms.. just a sanitiser hung on the wall..
Rawda A — Google review
Over rated and very complicated to order a sandwich and they charge for every single ingredient inside the sandwich
Elsebaei — Google review
They use margerine in all their bakery instead of butter. The coffee is blant and cold. They are over priced for the service and type of food they serve.
M Z — Google review
I went there specifically to try the basmoula and i loved it. The shop is very nice and clean and they have a nice range of new desserts and things i have not seen before. The lady was so friendly and nice. They have a seating area and the shop location is right on the main street.

Good coffee, but some of the staff should be more attentive to the customer presence and requests. The seated floor may have some music

Nestled within the elegant First Mall, La Gourmandise is a delightful culinary haven that offers an impressive selection of freshly baked goods, including baguettes and pastries. This contemporary French brasserie is perfect for a light meal before or after shopping, featuring delicious options like brick-oven pizzas and quiches. Whether you're in the mood for a flaky croissant or their renowned pistachio roll, each bite promises satisfaction.

The place is wide. Blue sky ceiling give it a nice vibe. It is expensive with no many choices. Soup and salads are very good. Piccata was very delicious.

Poor service , our waiter was awful, no smile, not even a word, thrown the CC receipt inside the folder, if you sit by the screen , like us , you are forgotten, they will only smile at you if you are from GCC with large wallet , no value for money in term Of service at all, Millefulle was fantastic

The food is good l, but the staff are the worst and judgmental. If they think you are a good class customer, they will treat you very well, otherwise, they will treat you like trash and you have to call them multiple times to come to you! We decided to have a sandwich after finishing our training in FibersClub, and the experience was the worst.
Wael H — Google review
I ve been visiting them for more than 10 years and yesterday will probably be my last visit. I had food poisoning. The food became hilariously expensive. The salad was bad. The bread was not fresh. Service was slow. Not a single person came to ask you how was the food or ask for any feedback. Clearly something went wrong. I gave two stars only for the ambience which is really nice as always. But otherwise a big NO NO
Ahmed E — Google review
I’m a frequent flyer here with my partner. We come here often for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is decent. The breakfast is better. The main dishes are a hit or miss it depends on what the chef prepares. The pizzas are a safe choice. The desserts are out of this world always. The service is outstanding and the staff is always available and responsive unlike many other restaurants in Cairo.

Bakery
Fornalia Artisan Bakery and Café is a cozy spot known for its picture-perfect flat croissants topped with a variety of spreads like lotus and pistachio. The place exudes a simple charm with bohemian decorations, making it perfect for enjoying coffee and pastries. However, due to its popularity, it can get crowded quickly, so visiting in the morning is recommended to have the best selection of their delicious offerings.
The place has a calm atmosphere and decor that evokes a sense of peace and relaxation. What I appreciated most was its location—away from the noise and hustle of the city—which makes it a perfect retreat for unwinding. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to try many items due to time constraints, but overall the experience was special, and I’ll definitely be coming back again.
Shady M — Google review
The place itself has a really chill and cozy vibe, which I appreciated. But sadly, the order didn’t live up to expectations at all. The croissant tasted quite stale—like it had been sitting there for more than a day—and the V60 didn’t taste anything like a proper V60، I gave some feedback, but the only response was reheating the croissant, which honestly didn’t help much.
EBRAHEEMtancredi — Google review
Absolutely Amazing !! 🤩 it has a warm cozy vibes , from the moment I stepped my foot in , the aroma of the freshly baked pastries was taking me to the different universe. Food is incredible and the quality of all the ingredients 💯 The staff went above and beyond ! All smiles , very helpful and friendly. Overall 1000/10 👌🏻

I came here for the cruffins, unfortunately they said they don’t do it anymore?! I had almond croissants, it was nice and flaky, I wanted to seat outdoor but it is was too small( 4 shairs only ) Coff is nice. Younger crowd, good place to socialise for uni students but not a place to relax and enjoy reading or listening to music.
Sam J — Google review
If you want to have a croissant that satisfies your cravings, you should definitely go there! This is one of the coziest coffee shops I’ve been to, I think it’s for when you just want to hangout with a friend(s) and talk, a place to study, or just to chill. Keep in mind that the place is small for large groups!!! I would like to note that, we were told it’s mandatory that you have to grab a pastry with the coffee you’re ordering. Their coffee is nice if you want to go grab one along with a pastry, its one of the best pastries I’ve had in a while. Would go there again!
Aya M — Google review
I was so excited to go there but once you go beside the great atmosphere, if you going with someone you better go together because they will ask you to order and it's really annoying like you will runaway or something, then I order Turkey and cheese croissant the gave me something else and trying to convince me this is the croissant, the first guy when i told him the order is wrong he just took the whole order and reheat it, then another guy came and said this is our croissant it's different and it's the same ingredients like the croissant I don't get the point he. They at least show me the shap of it when i made the order if it's there way. Also the best view table comes with a lots of flies all around so enjoy, never coming back... Check the picture for " special croissant ".

A cozy place in Zamalek that serves an out of this world Nutella croissant. The cheese and olive croissant was very delicious too and the coffee was decent. Really deserves the hype.

La Madeleine is a charming French bakery that brings the essence of Paris right to Cairo. This delightful café, conveniently located near the lobby, offers an array of mouthwatering baked goods including fresh baguettes and delectable pastries like croissants that are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. With its inviting atmosphere and exceptional service, La Madeleine is perfect for enjoying a leisurely coffee or grabbing gourmet snacks on the go. The café is helmed by a talented French chef who ensures every treat reflects authentic Parisian flavors.
Loved the iced coffee at La Madeleine Patisserie in Sofitel Cairo. Smooth, refreshing, and served with excellent hospitality. The view over the Nile and city made it even more special — highly recommend!
Ahmed H — Google review
While La Madeleine Café boasts a beautiful location, my recent experience there, was unfortunately disappointing. The ambiance is lovely and the scenery is perfect for a relaxing afternoon, however the unwelcoming attitude of the staff ruined our visit… Rather than feeling welcomed and valued as customers, we felt ignored and rushed. The service was lacking, and it made enjoying our time there quite difficult. It's a shame, because the café has so much potential with its stunning surroundings. I hope management can address these service issues, as they detract from what could otherwise be a wonderful dining experience. I won't be returning for sure and hopefully no other person will face that same bad behavior 👎
Georgia T — Google review
I visited LAMADELEINE for a special occasion, and it truly stands out for its beautiful location overlooking the river, offering a calm and pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant is clean, well-presented, and designed with an elegant touch that adds to the overall charm. The ambiance is relaxing, making it suitable for family gatherings or friendly meet-ups. However, there were a few negative points that impacted the experience. The service was extremely slow, and most of the menu items were unavailable during my visit. Additionally, the staff’s attitude did not meet the expectations for a restaurant of this level, leaving an uncomfortable impression. In summary, the restaurant excels in location, ambiance, and cleanliness, but there is a need to improve service quality and ensure menu availability to provide a truly complete dining experience.

Supermarket
Gourmet Egypt - Zamalek is a local market in the embassy district, offering a wide selection of premium-quality products, including imported specialty foods, organic options, cheeses, and meats. The store caters to Italian families and expats with its European food items and even offers Beyond Meat burgers. Visitors from outside Cairo appreciate the opportunity to stock up on imported goods not easily found elsewhere.
Great neighborhood shop if you don't want to drive to the bigger shopping centers. Amazing how much they can squeeze into a small space. A bit pricey but conveniently located.
Marcus W — Google review
This is a store strategically placed in the embassy district populated by a few italian families and expats. This is reflected in the items sold in the store. Small but stocked full of much European food items. Beyond meat burger if anyone interested is available here. Not really a store I'll be visiting often but it is good to have the option.
Ave S — Google review
There are many products from Europe, ok, but very overpriced, also not all the bakery is good for example the baguette is not the real baguette, it doesn't rise well, it's not crunchy, it's full of heavy dough, the same goes for muffins, you should really change the dough, take example from Carrefour, excellent baguettes. Anyway maybe good quality for many things but t you can find the same products more more cheap.
Sissimas — Google review
Gourmet Egypt the most expensive items for the worst service and quality ever. You have proved that you are going to fail soon!!! 3 hours and I didn’t get the 90 mins order. The order came late and it was the worst quality you can get from a place that promises quality! Onions are rotten! Buns are old!
Nahla M — Google review
A good place to find some international brands, including some more speciality type items. Small, split into two entrances, a good go to for some comforts from abroad
Lara E — Google review
I purchased chicken and went home to cook it only to find that it was rotten. I threw it out because the smell was disgusting and I didn't want it to sit in my fridge. The next day I went to Gourmet to complain with the photo of the chicken and receipt and they refused to reimburse me. Horrible customer service and quality control!
Sarah S — Google review
We were so happy to discover Gourmet! We live in Dahab, South Sinai and it is difficult to get good and imported products there. So we bought a lot of cheese, cold cut meats, preserved goods and veges. Everything was packed well and it survived the journey back. We will always return to Gourmet to stock up when we visit Cairo. We LOVE this shop!

La Brioche Dorée is a delightful bakery-café that perfectly blends casual elegance with a warm, inviting atmosphere. This charming spot has become a beloved destination for both locals and travelers alike, offering an impressive selection of authentic French pastries, breads, and desserts. Whether you're in the mood for flaky croissants or rich pain au chocolat, La Brioche Dorée has something to satisfy every craving.
I had a wonderful experience at La Brioche Dorée after visiting the Museum. The mango juice was refreshing but what really touched me was the kindness of the team, I had forgotten my phone on the table when leaving, and one waiter came running outside to give it back to me. This small act of honesty and care truly saved my holiday from turning into a disaster (my flight to come back to my country was in few hours, and the museum was closing his doors). I will always be grateful for his gesture. Highly recommended!
Abd-allah G — Google review
Coffee was definitely the worst. Iced latte had so much milk that you can barely taste coffee. Iced Spanish latte was way too sweet and it has too much milk as well. Unfortunately I was on a very busy schedule so I couldn't stop by the cashier again to complain about this. I'm really not sure what was wrong but they need to get it right since they serve a huge number of tourists every day and it's a well known brand. The only thing that's good about this branch is the location and view. prices are good. Staff at the cashier were very quick even though there was along line.
Nora S — Google review
Very good omelette and guava juice. Recommend eating here. They take card but the other cafe takes cash only.
Lee-Rose J — Google review
The place has a stunning view on Ein El seera lake, we ordered caramel Frappe and cheese cake, definitely over priced but they were good.
Esraa F — Google review
The view is amazing as it overlooks the lake. Space inside is enough for groups of people. Service and food are okay but needs more improvement to be on the same level of the excellent civilization museum that it’s located in it.
Hassan M — Google review
Was happy to find hot prepared pastas/sandwichs + great coffees
Dr. C — Google review
View is amazing but service is nothing here. Don't order a coffee here. That's tasteless and cold. Their cakes are good. Important information: restaurant closes at 5pm but takes order toll 4:59 pm. So after getting your cake/ coffee, they'll ask you to leave.
Nasif S — Google review
Their catchphrase is Franchement Croustillant - it should be Franchement Mauvais! My sandwich was pre packed and microwaved, the salad was mediocre at best, and the price was ridiculously expensive for Cairo. What a regret, would never recommend a stop here.

It’s a nice place to buy sweets to take home to your loved ones concluding your visit to Egypt. Staff were nice and helpful when I bought at night time. I can’t say the same for the guy who served me ice cream in the morning. He looked so tired and unmotivated to even talk. There wasn’t even another customer in line yet he look displeased serving me. The chocolate ice cream was thick and delicious though. It can get crowded during peak hours as it is famous. Cash and card are accepted.

Cake filled with pistachio cream was really fantastic. İf you are in that location go and taste.
Harun E — Google review
With such high reviews in Google and large crowd around it day and night in both their outlets, must join them😊 So many choices of cakes, pastries, desserts and ice creams. Haven for those sweet tooth. Tried their pistachio ice cream at 25EGP only. Also 2 cakes - chocolate layer crepe cake and red velvet cream cake. Both not too bad. The crepe cake is a bit too messy to eat. Flakes all over when bitten. Tasted not too bad. Not fantastic though. Some items are cheap. Some not so. Don't really understand what the hype is all about.

Cafe
Cake Cafe, a beloved spot in Cairo, has expanded to multiple branches across the city since its humble beginnings in Zamalek in 2013. This cozy cafe is a favorite among locals for its sweet treats and personalized service. While it's best known for its delicious cakes, Cake Cafe also offers a compact yet delectable menu featuring breakfast and lunch options, sandwiches, fresh juices, and hot drinks.
Well, in the beginning, it's not my first time there, but it's my private one. I have ordered macchiato and honey cake, and actually, i went there for studying, so i looked for cozy and quiet place with a good view. Absolutely, i have found it on their second floor. Macchiato was very optimal and has a good taste in addition to the high quality of its ingredients. You can taste their quailty easily from your first sip. Although i'm not a honey cake's lover, i found it great!. Thus, i think it will be my cup of tea there if i go again. Finally, they have 3 parts. The outdoor's one, and it's the best for chilling out with your friends, especially if you are a smoker. The first floor indoor, i don't like this area because it's very close to their kitchen and the cashier. The third one and my favorite one. The second floor. It forms a long sofa and 4 tables. In addition to high bar table. Moreover, they also have one isolated table with two chairs. They were great, and i'm happy with this experience, i'm going to go there again to brush up my attention.

Three milk cake is the perfect cake every the stuff is over friendly, the indoor setting not to big the average size in Zamalik coffee shops. Perfect for coffee and talks , working and studying no music in background I love it
Haidi H — Google review
I wanted something on the lighter side so I chose the Tiramisu cake which was nice. It was definitely tasty rendition of the dessert but it didn't taste very coffee-y. My pet peeve was honestly the cappuccino I ordered in the paper cup which was already so small but the cup came half full of just foam so I'd recommend sticking with the glass cups because the people across seemed to have a normal amount of coffee, unlike mine. The upstairs seating area is comfortable but could get stuffy quickly eventhough there was a really good AC. We paid 220 which felt like a bit much.

I thought going to a specialty cake place would mean top notch cakes. But that's the thing: a. This isnt a specialty cake place cuz they surve a lot of other things, and b. Not all of their cakes are top notch. We had a carrot cake which was 4/5 so acceptable, and an apple cinnamon cake which was 2/5 at best: the cake kept crumbling as soon as my fork touched it, my guess is it wasn't fresh, and the sauce was watery with zero consistency. Not to mention how thin my slice was compared to the carrot cake slice i was so jealouse! Only good thing about it was the cinnamon infused apples on top. Atmosphere was okayish but not my personal fav because it was crowded and at times i couldnt hear my friend talk!

"The Bakery" is a popular spot in Cairo Marriott, known for its fresh meals and attentive staff. While it faces tough competition, it remains a preferred destination for many due to its wide variety of sandwiches, pastries, and cakes. The bakery offers a good selection of small sandwiches, petit fours, croissants, and more. Although not the fastest service, it's great for breakfast, lunch or a light snack.
Yummy Bakery t my expectations always with its delightful array of desserts. From decadent cakes to flaky pastries, each treat showcased impeccable craftsmanship and a perfect balance of flavors. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff further enhanced the overall experience. A must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth!

Great for breakfast, lunch, or a light snack. They have sandwiches, excellent pasty, and cakes. Right off the main lobby in what was an old palace.

Service too slow. Never order anything. We waited 1 hour for 2 tea.
Tevfik E — Google review
The food was ok, the service was good, but the wrong order was overall ok
MEMES D — Google review
It would have earned itself very easily 5 stars, had it not encountered fierce competition from similar businesses, which offer a broader choice, bigger variety, cheaper prices, better service, tastier options, promotions. The Bakery is still a privileged destination for many people, and it's understandable that people have preferences. All being said, it's a big name on the market and this is a good leverage point. Hopefully, with a couple of promotions and good marketing, it'll make it to 5 stars.

The bakery in the Cairo Marriott is the bargain place in the hotel for meals. it is not the fastest service, but it is fresh to service and all the staff is attentive. If you shuffle a large group miraculous league more staff will show up. We wound up eating three meals.

Back in the days it used to be one of the best around. Now it is still good, but not the best with lots of competitors around. Latif Wassily is a delightful spot in Cairo that captures the essence of local culinary culture. This charming bakery, nestled in Downtown, offers an array of fresh and delicious options, including their renowned semeet—an Egyptian pretzel that's become a staple on the streets. As you navigate through Cairo's bustling traffic, you'll find vendors selling this light snack to satisfy hungry commuters. For those seeking a taste of history, Latif Wassily stands as one of the oldest bakeries in Egypt.
Wassily bakery is an absolute gem! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked goods. Their sourdough bread is simply divine—crispy on the outside, soft and perfectly chewy on the inside. You can really taste the craftsmanship in every bite. The staff is always friendly and helpful, making you feel right at home. Whether you’re grabbing a quick snack or stocking up on bread for the week, Wassily never disappoints. Highly recommended for anyone who loves quality baked goods!

It used to be better a few years ago , but it is still not bad , a little pricey maybe over priced in some items but you still get good quality in return! I tried their Roumi Cheese paté for 13.50 EGP, the taste was not bad and the size of it was okay. I also liked the decor and how it instantly makes you feel like you instantly travelled back in time.

To remain competitive after 50 y in the baking industry, this is certainly a feat. Now, its products are really good, even very good but lack innovation. It's packed with dough and it's often unpleasant, but its products are always fresh out of the oven. This is a great asset for customers. The fruit cake is particularly tasty and is not loaded with sugar. Lots of vegetarian options too.

Quaint and bright cafe near the Egypt Museum in downtown Cairo. We walked past it in the morning and decided to visit for lunch. The beef sandwich was good but it's the chips that was the best. Freshly made with nice seasoning. The banana frappe was okay, I would recommend without cream. With 270degrees of views of the square, it's a lovely spot to rewind and recharge. Their selection of sweets and cakes look enticing as well.

La Poire Coffee Shop - Cairo Great spot for coffee and breakfast—quality is top-notch and the pastries are fresh and tasty. Pierre B — Google review
Right across from the Egyptian Museum is a great location. Food is good & fresh. French onion soup was hot and tasty, sandwiches came with small fries & salad. The hot chocolate was delicious especially after only having mint tea for a week. It’s the service that lets it down, completely ignored when entering even though there were 3 staff doing nothing. Had to ask if order at counter or sit. Order was then wrong as they didnt write it down. But this is par for the course in Egypt, the food was hot & came quickly once we ordered. Would still come again for food & it’s nice and clean. The other problem is there’s no prices on menu so you don’t know how much until you pay and the cost which was quite a lot once you add the tax & their service charge… which is a cheek when the service was the worse part

Beano’s Café, located in the heart of Zamalek, Cairo, offers a refreshingly unique coffee experience. The taste of their coffee stands out from the usual, with rich flavors that cater to both casual drinkers and true coffee enthusiasts. Whether you're in the mood for a strong espresso or a smooth latte, Beano’s delivers. In addition to their excellent coffee, Beano’s Café also serves a range of sandwiches and salads, making it a great spot for a quick bite or a light meal. The menu has something for everyone, and the quality of the food matches the standard of the beverages. The ambiance at Beano’s is another highlight. The café has a laid-back, cozy vibe that's perfect for catching up with friends or simply enjoying some downtime. The warm, inviting decor creates a comfortable space to relax in, and it’s ideal for gatherings or solo visits alike. Overall, Beano’s Café in Zamalek is a fantastic choice for coffee lovers, food enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a welcoming spot to spend some time in the lively Cairo neighborhood.

Stepping into Beano's Café in Zamalek is like finding a cozy retreat from the city's hustle. The atmosphere is wonderful, with comfy seating that makes you want to settle in for a while. The staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk through the door. I have to rave about their Spanish latte. I went for the diet option, and even with a slight hint of sugar, it was absolutely fantastic—a perfect balance of rich coffee and creamy goodness. It’s a definite must-try! For a healthier choice, I also tried the Blue Oat Matcha. While the oat base gave it a unique, earthy flavor that might take some getting used to, I appreciated that it was a healthy and innovative option. It's a great choice if you're looking for something wholesome. Overall, Beano's Café offers a superb experience with its delightful drinks, inviting atmosphere, and amazing staff. It's a place I'd highly recommend for anyone looking for a great coffee spot in Zamalek.

Not a nice experience. The food was below average as the bread was supposed to be sourdough but they just served brown bread, the potato wedges that was a side dish was cold and tastless and the latte was also tastless. I wouldn't go there again.

If you're a lover of cinnamon rolls, then Cinnabon Egypt is an essential stop on your culinary journey. The warm, inviting aroma wafting from their shops is enough to draw anyone in for a sweet treat.
Great place. When you enter here, a cool aroma of cinnamon can be smelled. Excelent interior design, place looks maintained and clean. The staff is really nice and happy. And yes, they have coffee 😊
Vlad F — Google review
My go to place! The smell of fresh cinnamon rolls fills the entire space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, while the coffee complements them beautifully. I visited many times and it’s never enough! But I must say that it was really rude when a friend of mine was taking pictures of the cinnamon rolls and the cashier guy told us we cannot do that, the staff need to behave lol :)
Rawen A — Google review
The place is beautiful, the atmosphere is great, and the service is excellent, but the quality of the Cinnabon is very poor. It has a strange taste, not like the Cinnabon we know.
S J — Google review
The Cinnamon rolls were good but the place ain't the best, the staff is good but they close the toilet with a key and you have to go down to ask for it to get to the toilet... and the Ac probably wasn't working well and the place is tight i guess it's a way to force the people to eat and go not to stay so long in the place and keep it vacant as much as possible...
Ezzeldeen D — Google review
The rolls were decent, and the atmosphere was nice, though a bit noisy—still, people were studying and seemed fine with it. The service, however, was terrible. The cashier was rude and tricked me into buying a box of mini Cinnabons (390 EGP), claiming it was the same price as two large rolls (240 EGP). She also got annoyed when I asked to wrap the leftovers and acted offended when I nicely requested they be divided into two boxes. We had a good time, but they definitely need to hire better staff
Kareem G — Google review
The place is clean, plenty of tables, AC is working fine, coffee and roll are okay, but as other mentioned, prices are not what they are on the menu. Either I got overcharged and scammed because I am a tourist, either they have huge hidden taxes. Check my pictures. I don't believe a single second that locals are paying this amount. I would not recommend the place.
Laurent P — Google review
The place had a single laminated menu in Arabic and staff were snide when asked for an English one. The cinnamon rolls were not hot and the iced mocha wasn't cold. We had to ask them twice to clean the tables so we could eat. Overall disappointing experience

Edit Feb 2023: Still a great place! I was incredibly happy and grateful to find this awesome EU-style bakery located right next to the German embassy! They serve amazing bread rolls, cakes and donuts at a very fair and affordable price. The variety, quality and friendliness of staff was great, hence the 5 star rating. I know from my personal experiences that every beginning is hard and requires a lot of effort and diligence, so I'm going to create this review for ‘Miette’ with these knowledge. I noticed ‘Miette’ on a taxi ride. I was literally invited by the French style from outside. As soon as I stepped in, I was greeted by a very subtle, harmonized, calm marble-wood interior. Great! Miette's menu was very diverse, literally page by page listed, but the reality was very different. A lot of items which I asked were not available. The presentation cabinet was also far away from the usual inviting French way. Finally I decided to order a cup of black tea & a cheese-mushroom-omelette . They were satisfactory but not comparable to the French taste or the way how they would serve. I'm going to revisit ‘Miette’ soon again to get a second experience to supplement my review if necessary.

We ordered halloumi pesto croissant, roasted beef croissant, grilled chicken sandwich and caramel frappe. I received salted caramel frappe instead of caramel frappe, it was good but not what I ordered, and I got my order takeout so I couldn’t return it. Chicken sandwich was so dry. Croissants was a bit sweet so it was weird with the savory filling. halloumi pesto croissant was not the best. Roasted beef was okay. Overall not the best experience.
Salma A — Google review
Terrible service and attitude. Received a late and wrong order of spilled dry chicken bits as a “grilled chicken sandwich” & a single salmon slice in the dryest baguette you could imagine
Hala H — Google review
This place is characterized by calm and reassurance, as it is in the heart of Zamalek, but it is very quiet, isolating you from the outside world so that you can drink your coffee, read a book, and let your thoughts emerge with complete calm and focus. They have all the baked goods fresh and baked to order And according to the staff there, they say that it is baked in France and cooked fresh here. This is a very enjoyable experience, and I did not find a place that does this, so this is my first experience with this method, and they have a rather delicious taste in coffee.

🏙 The place is quiet (at least the non-smoking area which is on the ground floor) with light music in the background. Great for studying/working, especially since they have wifi. ☕️ I ordered a latte (regular size - one size), which cost LE 93 including vat & service. It was nice but too strong for my liking. Coffee shop
Breadfast Coffee offers reasonably priced coffee, making it a convenient option for those working in the coworking space. However, some customers have expressed concern about the lack of reusable cups and limited food options. Despite this, the friendly staff and conducive work environment make it a good choice for those seeking a place to work from.
Everything was fresh and well made. Thank you Wa'ad for your service. She's very helpful.

The place is inside the Conseleya building. It's a modern quite atmosphere perfect to study or be on your laptop.

Doesn't exist anymore. They closed about a month ago. Hope this gets updated as i was really disappointed that i went there and found out by coincidence that they were closed.
Winnie W — Google review
This place is closed for more than a month now and it was replaced by another coffee shop inside Consolea
Amr I — Google review
Coffee at decent prices. Very practical to have this in the coworking space. They don't use reusable cups which is why I'm not giving five stars. Please step up and protect the planet. Sometimes a bit of patience is required as with most things in Cairo. Friendly staff.

So good but expensive
Obai K — Google review
The place is very good if you need a place to work from. But not a lot of food varieties.

Couldn’t find the place at all.. several times, is the location even accurate?

Bakery
The Fauchon bakery in Zamalek is a must-stop for anyone looking for high quality French macarons, madeleines, and other pastries. The chocolate is also delicious and reasonably priced. However, the shop can be quite expensive.
Very good chocolate and very expensive too

Had an issue raised with Talabat delivery and they did not respond..next day Called the branch they were not informed through talabat. and Moustafa from the branch took charge and promissed to resolve all issues..... Job was done and items were replaced at once .. From this experience.: Better to deal direct with the bakery not through Talabat because talabat service team are so unptofessional, uneducated and could not understand what is bauguette...revised this review accordingly.. Thanks Online Order with Talabat Order ID: 1980351328 10/02/2025 10:05 * There are good choices of baguette at this Bakery for super breakfast
Maher G — Google review
I have recommended this Bakery to several people. Especially the roasted pepper spread. Unfortunately I ordered my sandwich today and the spread was left off. That is my favorite part of the sandwich. Also I had the same guy deliver my food who is not talabat. He rides with the talabat driver and is charging more than required.
Teresa F — Google review
The place is beautiful, the quality of the product is very high, and the staff are very committed.
