Amazing food, and amazing service. They don't overcharge you because you are a foreigner. They only have kosheri, but this is the go-to place for it. It was crowded, we had to walk up several floors. This was the first dish we had in Egypt. We had no stomach bug after it. It tastes AMAZING.

Koshary Abou Tarek is a must-visit when you’re in Cairo! The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and the service is truly outstanding. Every single waiter was extremely friendly, helpful, and full of good energy. The staff made the experience really fun and memorable. I've been here to try the traditional Egyptian dish "koshary." It was pretty good, and you can adjust the sauces according to your preferences . This restaurant has its own festive song that kept being played all along. We sat outside, and it was lovely seeing the people walking while enjoying the meal.

The food is fresh, the falafel salad was so delicious and tasty. We had a very good time, we had to wait a little to be seated but it wasn’t too long. It was a nice vibe inside with lots of tourists just like us. Although we wish the portion were bigger, we definitely recommend !

The best place in Kairo Zamalek for breakfast - service & people are amazing. The service is excellent, the waiters welcome you with open arms and you feel completely at ease here. The location is small and doesn't invite you to linger for long, but that doesn't detract from the excellent quality of the food. If you are in Cairo, you absolutely have to eat here. Great local eatery with traditional dishes. Fast service and friendly staff. We went back few time during our week traveling in Cairo.

Zooba tastes good, but the service was slow and unorganized. There was a waiting queue and the people at the tables were also waiting. They got our order wrong twice. We didn't ask to correct it the second time. They don't provide tissues or wet wipes or eating utensils. Overall, it's good taste, cleanliness in the kitchen, which is important for the customers, not necessarily in the eating area. Would visit again, but it's overrated.

The atmosphere at Naguib Mahfouz Restaurant is truly charming — rich with traditional Egyptian decor and a warm, nostalgic vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into history. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the welcoming experience. However, the food itself is average Portions are decent, but the flavors felt a bit underwhelming for the price. Oriental desserts are not good at all, kofta seem to be pre-cooked and stored on the fridge and then coocked. Overall, it’s a nice spot to visit for the ambiance, but don’t set your expectations too high on the food.

The atmosphere is fantastic, it gives you a magical feeling coming from Egypt past 🪄 very clean. Bad service, we asked many times for napkins, soft drinks in the cans were expired, there was a delay with food and couldn’t figure out which orders they delivered , definitely not the place to visit when is busy. Communication with personnel was challenging 🤣 and they were trying to overcharge at the payment. Better not to visit. They offered us a course at €60 each person which when we asked around the charge should be €20 😅😅😂

A hidden gem in the middle of Khan El Khalili bazar. The atmosphere is very authentic and the staff adds that extra notch to really make you feel welcomed. The food is traditional Egyptian food. The service is fast and efficient. They will always try and accommodate and changes to the meal, in case there is something you do not like. In our case they replaced the rabbit for chicken and changed the green sauce to a nice traditional tomato dish. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

The food here is delicious. The chicken liver dish is amazing, ox tail stew is also nice, and you should try lentil soup and ox leg soup, there are very soft and umami.

Hidden behind an unassuming door is this absolute gem of a restaurant. My partner and I arrived without booking and enjoyed one of the best meals we've had! The restaurant itself is gorgeous and the staff amazing. We had the stuffed pigeon and Veal about el sid style with a couple of side dishes. The meatballs were fantastic. Delicious Egyptian cuisine and atmosphere that transports you back 100 years! I’d eaten here 3-4 times ten years ago, and just returned for dinner last week. It holds up & it great to see both local business people dining alongside tourists :) I love the meseka’a (eggplant in tomato sauce) dish!

Inside the old building, it feels old with the old music you feel you are in the okd days like 75 years ago, My wife went to the toilet and was disappointed with how dirty it is, and then I went to gent toilet and it was clean, so they better concentrate on the cleanliness of the women toilet I will review the foid after eating the stuffed pigeons. the kushary was huge and tasty, the musakaa was excellent the abu sid salad was great, unfortunately the stuffed pigeon was almost meatles so don't consider it as your protein, it was an excellent meal. just before leaving a nearby table, a woman started smoking a cigarette

We had a lovely dining experience at Zitouni. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with beautiful views that added to the overall charm. Service was attentive throughout our meal. The food was good – smooth, flavourful hummus and a deliciously spiced Hawawshi really stood out. The mixed grill was also tasty and well-prepared. While the desserts were a bit underwhelming overall, the chocolate knafe was a standout and absolutely worth trying. A solid spot for a refined Egyptian meal with great service and ambiance!

For Egyptian food lovers ..this is an amazing breakfast place as well. Great traditional Egyptian food like “foul, taameya, feteer meshaltet, baladi bread” All served in a beautiful atmosphere with a unique Nile view. Service is warm and friendly and very attentive.

The vegetables in tomato sauce بسلة وجزر بالدمعة and red meat cooked in ways I never dared to try. All tasty made with love and the chefs are happy to serve you, they explain the dishes and encourage you to try the food. The Nile view completed the experience. You can take smoke breaks at the bar next door same floor, where there is live piano music.

We had the ala carte instead of the buffet which we found to be more appealing. The chicken shawarma and lamb was cooked perfectly and the complimentary dessert Om Ali was delicious.

I read a lot about this place and seen videos. I was very curious to try it. I ordered three dishes, I liked the stuffed vegetables the most, although some pieces were a bit dry. I ordered beef in cumin sauce, which was good, but nothing too crazy. The molokhia is served without rice, as a soup. I didn't like it that much.

My favorite restaurant in Cairo. Loved it so much I came here twice and cried that I didn’t discover it earlier to have every single dinner here. While the dishes may not be photogenic, I guarantee you they are very tender, juicy, flavorful, and generous. I especially appreciated the knuckle soup, the different liver dishes, and the bean soup (the best bean soup I’ve ever had, bold claim I know). They change the menu daily so you can always come back for more. Run don’t walk to Fasahet Somaya!

I visited this restaurant evening. I ordered the beef piccata, green salad, glass noodle rice, and rice pudding. All were excellent. It was delicious. The rice pudding and beef piccata were some of the most delicious meals I have ever had in my life. I will visit you again when I come to Cairo.

The place is small in the most charming and cozy way, with colorful walls and a warm homely atmosphere. The staff and Chef Somaya are wonderful, welcoming, and make you feel at home. We had the Chicken stew with mixture and the Kebab Hilla (slow-cooked beef stew)—both were excellent, flavorful, and felt authentically homemade. The Molokhia and Vermicelli rice were simple but comforting. Overall, I truly enjoyed the experience—it felt like dining with family.

Home cooked market fresh meals! You won’t be disappointed. Skip places like Felfela (for the tourists) and spend your money here instead. Go early at 17h because when the food is gone, the restaurant closes. Absolutely worth it. We got everything that was on the menu and it was delicious.

The first restaurant we ate at in Egypt, the food was absolutely delicious and the service first rate. The kebab served on a table side spit was a high point, and the Beyti kebab gave a savoury baklava vibe. Highly recommended!

This Turkish Restaurant belongs to the Hotel Kempinski NILE. We got invited for a meal from the Restaurant Manager, Mr. Ahmed Ragab, whom I have informed about some negative experiences in the Lounge and Blue Restaurant. The ambiance of the Restaurant is nice but not luxury, what I have expected from a 5 Star Hotel. We were sitting in a separate room. Fast we got the Menu. We ordered Mezze ( 6 different were served), the Jumbo Prawns and mixed Seafood baked in the oven. The presentation could have done better. All of the fresh fish was swimming in the deep sauce on a small fish plate. It was difficult to find the fish due to be covered and swimming in the brown sauce. The taste of the mixed fish ( white fish and Salmon, Prawns and Mussels was good except the two Mussels. It was difficult to eat from this plate. If I wouldn't have done it slowly and carefully all would have landed on the table cloth. Opposite the Mezze was perfectly prepared and of an unbeatable good taste. What a pity that nobody has cared about us sitting in a separate room. In general I can recommend this Restaurant.

This is a lovely restaurant by the Nile. This was a last-minute stop as another place we looked at was closed. The menu is more than comprehensive and it would be very hard to decide on the things you want to eat. Definitely get one of the starters and a main, if there is room left a dessert will do it just right. We had a few different things and we loved it all. We loved the experience from the start to the end and will repeat it on our next stay. Our waiter Oman was very kind, and friendly and this experience was special.

This place converted me to a falafel fan or as the Egyptians call it Ta’ameya, recipe being also a bit different and in my novice opinion the best I have tasted. It was super crunchy on the outside, bright with ground spices and soft on the inside. Perfectly spiced and packed full of flavor. The other stand out were the Veal chops. Food overall really tasty. Fit out a bit eclectic, with fish tanks, bird houses, murals and eclectic lamps. All a little dusty, mysterious and giving off just the Cairo vibes a tourist is after. Where the place falls done is Service. Friendly faces standing around, forgetting items, missing cutlery and taking forever to bring a drink.

Very good food in an amazing building. Tourist vibe does not take away from the experience. Falafel was excellent although lacked seasoning. Tourists should be aware that credit cards are not accepted and the service charge does not include a tip. Typical Egypt…

Everything was good except service. I waited 5 mins for menu and 15 mins fot dessert. It came from fridge but it feels like they are doing it again. They accept only cash and i didnt know that. I told the waiter who is in suit and he came to atm with me after i got the cash he told me you must give 100egp it is not written on the receipt. I really like the Tom Yum soup - super tasty! The crispy fried duck was a bit overcooked and dry, and both the fried banana ice cream and banana piña colada were too sweet for my taste. Loved the hibiscus-ginger welcome drink tho, and they even refilled it for me. Atmosphere and service were great, but note that menu prices are before VAT and service charge.

The BIRDCAGE is located inside the Intercontinental Semiramis in Cario, Egypt. It is a lovely Thai restaurant. The restaurant is very nice. The service was top Notch by Mohamed Lesayed, and I forgot the name of the lovely young lady who suggested great dishes. Mr Mohamed was attentive and helpful. He was quite nice to speak with, being that we're visiting. Our food was magnificent. The shrimped were wrapped in a delicious crunchy cage. 😋 the chicken minced salad had the perfect amount of heat. Everything we ate was good.

Piccolo Mondo, nestled in the basement of Le Pasha boat, offers a cozy setting with pseudo "Italian specialties". The ambiance is charming and the service is decent, making it a pleasant spot for a casual meal. The food itself is middle-of-the-road — nothing extraordinary but passable. The biggest letdown was the bread buns, which tasted like they were defrosted in the microwave and lacked freshness. Overall, it's an acceptable choice if you're not seeking culinary perfection but just a relaxed meal by the Nile.

What a great place! We kicked off our Egypt holiday here and finished it here because Carlo Le Pacha 1901 does everything we wanted. Good beer? Check. Tasty cocktails? Check. Excellent food (both Egyptian and other choices)? Check. The real winner for us was the combination of all that with a solid shisha/hookah menu and live sports on TV. It's the complete package you struggle to find elsewhere. The vibe is upscale but comfortable. We'll be back on our next trip for sure!

Le Pacha was definitely a great experience in Cairo! The staff was very helpful and friendly, the food amazing and the environment very well organised. The portions were big and fulfilling, and the flavours incredible. Try out the Steak with roquefort sauce, it is a wonderful dish, accompanied with excellent fries! Also, do not forget to take a look around and visit the terrace, as the view of the Nile is beautiful. Keep in mind there is a big staircase to reach the restaurant with no ramps, so it's not for people with reduced mobility.

Disappointing experience. Le Pacha group is recognized for upscale dining, specialy, Carlos. However, piccolo mondo was a disappointment. In a basic Italian themed restaurant, you are served high quality EVOO and a fine balsamic vinegar, paired with good quality bread, while waiting for the meal. That was not provided until we asked for it. We received a bowl of stale olive oil, and low quality balsamic vinegar. Compared to other lower caliber Italian themed restaurants in heliopolis, piccolo mondo failed. Pizza ingredients were good, the expected quality, but the dough was more of chewy bread. In the end, that was not the anticipated quality while dining in le pacha

Better make a reservation. It was a very pleasant experience with loads of Italian vibes. As if you are sitting inside an old pizzeria in Italy. The menu is varied and the quality of the food is worth the price. We enjoyed a selection of Italian salads, Salami pizza, and Penne Le Pacha. We were quite full and we had no room for dessert after this delicious load of carbs. You get to enjoy a very nice and close view of the Nile since it is located in the bottom floor of the boat. Fit for a date and a casual dining experience.

I must admit, I had high expectations for this pizza place, but it fell short of my expectations. The pizza was bland and the crust was thick and unappealing. It was a complete disappointment. On the bright side, the service was excellent. The waiter, with white hair and a thoughtful demeanor, took care of everything except for the pizza. The lasagna was okay, but not as good as the pasta at the nearby O’s. The salad was average, with a small portion and a high price. Despite these shortcomings, there’s still a chance I’ll visit again.

One of the best pizzas in Egypt. To be honest the toppings are much better than the dough. But overall the food is tasty. The personnel are very gentle and welcoming. For sure, a place that I certainly would like to come over again with pleasure.

Found this beautiful quaint little place today. Founded in 1922 with art deco lights. Plenty of vegetarian options. Ordered the Capriossca pizza (my first ever pizza with boiled egg!) and Margherita and cheese garlic bread. Simple, flavorful but delicious. Friendly service and quite popular with the locals. Their molten chocolate cake was also nice Open 24hrs for delivery. Shut only from 2am to 5am! Definitely a place to visit again.

April 2024: been here more than 10 years ago.quality has changed for the worse. It was the best quality cheese and soft thin Napolitano dough. This is a product place, it should reflect on quality of ingredients. We got 2 medium pizzas. The dough is thin and dry, gauging from -my pizza making days-I think this is a ready-made dough. It was dry and not tasty. The cheese quality is best there is in this high cost market but it is not like before. The tomato sauce is not represented in the taste group of the pizza. The 3 stars are for the dry dough and for that the place has no bathroom 😲 . I'm sure it was not possible to put one for whatever reason, but it is not acceptable to have a sit-down restaurant without a bathroom.

Very cosy restaurant with reasonable prices serving home made oriental food, Egyptian kitchen, don't expect to have high standards of cooking or service, but it's delicious and well served. We tried grilled kofta and chicken Fatah, and it's good but not super. So overall, it's good to try.

Food was great, the koshari and spicy potatoes were delicious. When we arrived it was empty except for one other person (around 6:30). Service was a bit lacking and not overly friendly, but not rude at all. Food came out very quickly. The restaurant itself was a bit cheap feeling, more like a budget diner.

Was a terrible experience. 0 cleanliness. I found in the rice a peace of steel wire those we use to clean dishes with, thank god I saw it and showed it to them, it would have destroyed my stomach. And again found hair in the found, and ended up with a disaster finding insect in the food. The manager suddenly disappeared and left the place and I kept waiting for him. Until even the Chef was the one had to touch with his hands the Visa card machine so I can finally pay for the disgusting food. Toilet is very dirty and no toilet papers nowhere. Absolutely disgusting experience. Don’t recommend it, the food itself tasted old and not that delicious at all

Very small place but nice, the food is really home made and had a very authentic taste. I had kofta with potatoes in the oven, with rice, grilled vegetables and Egyptian pickle. The taste was amazing. The only drawback was when I requested the rest of my meal be wrapped for rake away, I was surprised when I got home to find the put the picks over the rice and vegetables!!!

Yeah, nah - don’t bother. There are far too many restaurants in Cairo offering better food and service. It’s a definite NO ‼️ That arancini was literally burnt.

Came in at 11:15am, food arrived at around 12. Two staff members. 3 other tables were occupied. I went up to ask for the menu, then later asked for his attention to take our order. Ordered the lemon curd pancake, shakshuka eggs, and matcha latte. They didn't have matcha. I walked up to the counter multiple times since they didn't seem to pay much attention to our table. Pros: location and atmosphere. The place is clean, well decorated with large windows. Cons: serving time and food delivery took about an hour. The eggs were undercooked, the pancakes were dry, and the toast was stale and hard as a rock. We asked to exchange it. He brought another 2 pieces that were rotten (green spots/mold was visible). He brought another piece of bread to make it up, but by then we were done with the experience. We left. I went up to the counter and asked to charge me only for the water. They charge 29 Egyptian pounds for a small bottle of water. One of the worst experiences I have ever had in a supposedly upscale restaurant! Will never step foot in there again. It's so sad that it has such great potential, but is left to the hands of employees who don't care much to see it succeed!

We went there a little bit late but noone was there in the cafe, we sat down either way. Nothing was tasting great, specialy the ravioli was so bad, it was cold and just minty.The pastas were better. The vegetable sandwich or calzone, it was so bland. Maybe you can have pasta...

Went for lunch there, surprisingly quiet but overall a decent place for lunch. The restaurant felt a bit dated but the food was nice. The waiters were helpful as well.

Tasty food, with decent prices and good ambience. Went when there was not much crowd and the service is good. There are several vegan options (we ordered the vegan risotto, vegan spaghetti with "meatballs" and tomato soup) in the menu, most of which are clearly labelled. Payment with card is allowed. Only downside is there is no aircon but luckily it was not too hot outside today

This place was recommended to us via locals and I must say it is something. Situated on a riverbank in the middle of Cairo it is an exceptional place. Somewhat upper scale, but certainly accessible for everyone. The vue is unique, but it's not something you will easily found as a regular tourist. We had an Iftar dinner, so I can not tell you how the menu looks like normaly, but this time it was a pretty damn good buffet. I hidden gem. To discover for certain!

What a gorgeous place...loved the tent style restaurant with gorgeous views of the Nile. Place is cosy with relaxed sofa seating, shisha, cocktails, and delicious food!! There was even a large round table for big groups who want to celebrate a special occasion. We watched fresh bread being baked in brick-oven in back of the restaurant. We came here for a business dinner and would highly recommend this place.

A nice restaurant in zamalik with a great view of the nile river, it has three places they are not cheap min. Charge 200, there is no non-smoking area in the 3rd one ( above average food) but it has the option of a very large round table for big party and numbers with additional fees. After 7:00 pm it's 18+ as it serve alcholics, balloons, and other birthday loud instruments are not permitted there

A very good restaurant, delicious food but few food options to choose from in each category, serving food quickly, it's better to make reservation before going to avoid waiting for a table, friendly staff, high prices, the area outside jammed with cars and it is very hard to find a parking lot, hookah was good, many public figures and celeberties go there, amazing view, they serve beer, wine, vodka, cocktails, etc.

The place is a group of resturants italian chinese and lebnanese ... i have been into the lebnanese. The varification of the food made me confused what to eat... the atmosphere is very comfortable...all of the resturants are nile view

I loved this place. When we entered we were told it is fully booked although most tables were empty. When we were about to leave they kindly offered a table outside which is what we wanted. Entire night most tables outside were empty but may be this is normal in Egypt . Food was great and delicious. I had the minced meat and my wife had lamb with rice. Service was ok. Views were stunning and overall a pleasant experience

Located in the heart of old town bazaar Khan il Khalil. The area is hectic but this place is beautiful with a nice rooftop garden overlooking the old town. The food was good and their smoothies are delicious!

We had an excellent time at Zeeyara! The food was delicious- our favourites were the bulgur camel meatballs, Auzy Zeeyara and the sahlab drink. A special thanks to Mohammed Yasir, who made our visit even better with his helpful suggestions, great sense of humour and professional service. He even helped us choose the menu and took lovely photos. Truly impressive hospitality and superb views from the terrace seating area- highly recommended!

Local grill place, not touristic, more locals eating here. Cash only. Looks and ambiance is not tempting but the lamb, fries, rice and stuffed pigeon were tasty. Recommend the place for a really local experience.

They are famous for their pigeons, grilled or stuffed with rice and is really tasty. They are not known for their service, cleanness, or generally for tourists that used to western service or expectations. Our restaurant was in an alley space, many cats at your feet, some are fighting. The waiters are wise guys, not really interested in serving tourists, they know you won’t be repeating customers. Keep an eye on your bill they do make “mistakes” by overcharging, funny never make a mistake of making undercharging 🤣 You come for the pigeons and experience the real local life, if you aren’t up to that don’t come here. Go to your hotel restaurant 😄 FYI, they have other cleaner locations. Good luck of getting a taxi into or finding a taxi going home. Ask how we know🙄

Food: stuffed pigeon, Kofta & Trab. It is nice, I am no expert in Egyptian cuisine, but this food is up to my liking! Service: staff didn’t really going to take care of you, and doesn’t speak English well. We are lucky to meet a kind English speaking Egyptian couple who eating there to recommend and help us with our order. And the waiter still ask for tips and I think the shop overly charged me. Atmosphere: the shop is located at one end of alley, not easy to find I would say. Not spacious, not very clean. But as a tourist, have to have reasonable expectations visit where you are at.

The ambiance is very raw. You have to sit in the alley or the chairs in small makeshift shops, used as dining area. Food is good and prices are very economical. They do give complimentary unlimited bread along with green tomato salad and hummus and pickles. Menu is simple. They serve grilled meat items as their specialty. You get lots of cats near you when you dine in.

One of my favorites.this is the first place that comes to my mind after I finish visiting Al-Azhar and the other mosques. The taste is always delicious. Prices are reasonable for Kebab. It's crowded but you won't wait too long to sit which is really good. I took my friends there and they were very happy and amazed by the taste of pigeons and tarb. Can't wait to go there again.

I enjoy this resturant, the food is delicious, I really like the pigeons and tarp. The place is just a little local outside resturant, on the street, it's full of local activity and cats, cats are a part of Egypt and they enjoy roasted meats like we do. The resturant works at keeping the cats away, I don't mind the kitties and even feed them, I eat here everytime I am back in Egypt.

The experience at the seafood restaurant was very enjoyable. There was a wide variety of fresh fish and shrimp on display. We chose the sea bass and grilled shrimp with butterfly sauce. The restaurant was very clean and the service was fast. The average dinner cost for two people was around 3,700 EGP. I recommend it as a dedicated seafood restaurant.

Great staff that’s both friendly and attentive. They present a great selection of high quality seafood, cooking each dish to perfection. I highly recommend their Aroos fish, it was the highlight of our dinner.

Asmak is a true gem for seafood lovers! The fish is incredibly fresh, the taste is rich and authentic, and the service is excellent. Definitely one of the best seafood spots around!

Tasty food and fair price. ***** I came to this restaurant in 2022 FEB again. New decorations, new price and new rules. Compare to last year I went, I have to change my review. It’s more expensive than before but the cleaning was bad and staffs were pretty cold. The most important thing was the meals were not so tasty.

However, I had a few concerns: the butterfly shrimp lacked its usual flavor and tasted mostly of lemon, and the tahini was overly sour with a dominant lemon taste. Very French/Lebanese style restaurant for tourists but tasteful. A little pricey but food was good, staff speak good English and French - they allow smoking at tables which is disappointing these days. Nice cosy atmosphere though in Garden City area.

We just explored the restaurant on Google maps and gave chance to try Lebanese & Egyptian cuisine. We really enjoyed the food which was so delicious, especially mango juice was so pure and fresh. The staff was kind and very friendly which made our dinner more enjoyable. As lastly ambience was so chill with arabesque music.

We have eaten here at least once a week for months now. They have a fantastic Lebanese menu that I've been slowly working my way through. You cannot go wrong there and the bread is outstanding, the best I've had in Cairo. Parking out front can be crowded and limited. Likely best to walk.

The atmosphere was great! We went there in the night after dinner for some local beverage. Unfortunately couldn’t try the famous coffee instead local tea we had as it was late in the night. There was live music and service was good. Staff were very friendly. Definitely you should visit this place if you are in Khan El Khalili

I recently visited Fishawy Cafe in Khan El Khalili, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. Right when I arrived, I noticed that some people sat down at my table and started singing. At first, I thought they were part of the cafe staff, but it turned out they were just customers like me. When I asked for the menu, they told me there was no printed menu available. This made it hard for me to know what food or drinks I could order. At the end of my visit, I was surprised to find out that I had to pay a large amount of money because one of the singers decided how much I should pay. To make things worse, these singers then asked for money for their performance. They didn’t mention this when they first started singing, which felt quite unfair. Additionally, the noise from street vendors outside made it really hard to enjoy my drink. They were so loud that I couldn’t relax or focus on my time at the cafe. I do not recommend visiting Fishawy Cafe. You might end up feeling scammed, and it’s unlikely you will have a good time there.

Tripped over this cool cafe in the bazaar. Stopped for a coffee (Turkish coffee) only LE 65 and to refresh with water. A few customers were smoking shisha, so I had a grape one for LE 175. Comfy chairs lined along the alley facing the mob, so you get lots of hawkers, but it’s part of the fun. Didn’t eat here. Waiters have a bitnof a Parisian stiffness- they don‘t take mucking about. Very atmospheric and recommended

They insist you come in and sit down. We ordered three Cokes. When we went to pay, they didn't accept card payments and we were charged 550. There are also people who want to sing to you at your table, even if you say no, they don't stop and ask for money the whole time. Definitely a terrible experience. I don't recommend it.

I had a wonderful experience at the Grill Restaurant. The food was excellent and full of flavor, and the view of the Nile made the atmosphere truly special. We celebrated my wife’s birthday there, and I had asked for a cake in advance — they delivered it beautifully and made the celebration unforgettable. A special thanks to Mr. Walid for his warm hospitality and outstanding service. It is a bit on the pricey side (around 4000 LE per person), but for the quality, service, and overall experience, it’s definitely worth it. Highly recommende

We had our first meal in Egypt here and tried their Hamam Mahshi (stuffed pigeon), Molokhia and Vegetables Meat Tajin. It was delicious. The place is also big to cater for big groups of diners.

If you are looking for actual good Egyptian food, you have to try this place. I’ve been 2 weeks in Egypt, and I struggled to find authentic Egyptian food. Yesterday our tour guide recommended this place to us, and it didn’t disappoint! We are tourists and they were very friendly even though we didn’t speak the language. Everything tasted fantastic and the lamb chops were one of the best one I have eaten. Thank you for making our trip even better with this place.

This is a local Egyptian restaurant. I have been to Cairo third time, and first time here. We were the only foreigners there, and the staff was very friendly and clean. (It seems they use disposable utensils for cleanliness and efficiency, but it would be nice if they had more forks and knives.) The grilled food is wrapped in foil, which at first I thought was a delivery service I know. I think it's for heat preservation and cleanliness. The lamb ribs are JMT! The flavor goes well with soju or wine. (They don't serve alcohol)

A pleasant discovery by accident and convenience, as Crave is located next to our hotel. The restaurant provided a tranquil space on public holiday where I would spend time enjoying their Shaksouka with a nice flat white. The food was tasty and good value, the service friendly and not over-attentive, and the spot great for a bit of quiet reading and reflection

I really like crave and specially Zamalek branch. Their food is really good and staff are very attentive and super nice. Unfortunately the stakes are not available. They used to import the meat and was delicious but because of the financial crisis in Egypt they are no longer offering it. Their chocolate fondant is the best I had in cairo and a must to try.

The international cuisine that Crave serves gives you a real rich menu that you can select from The starters, salads , main dishes and also the drinks were all very good among the 4 of us who ordered there. Pasta was really good with a white creamy sauce and rich seafood.

After a long day we had some good food : the lentil soup, babaganoush, fresh warm bread, spring rolls, shrimp and steak! All coming at a fast time and tasted fresh.

The place is nice and cozy, light and music is quite. During my visit the place was almost empty, we ordered the beef with mushroom sauce and chicken with mushroom gravy as well, both were good, staff are friendly and decent. However when I was handed the drinks menu I noticed they mainly serve alcohol, so unfortunately I won't be going back, but overall was nice experience.

You can’t go wrong at Five Bells. The ambience was very elegant thanks to the piano player, among other things. No need to mention the service and the food because they met our expectations.

The restaurant manager was very nice and friendly, we made a reservation before we arrived. Probably you can’t call it a restaurant it’s a bar with dining tables, where smoking permeates the air, like most Egyptian restaurants. There is a delay in responding to your inquiries from the waiters. We find the food quality to be average or less, the prices are too high, and other services are being overcharged! I have attached the bills and the menu. The purpose of my review is to help others decide if it's right for them or not!

Nice restaurant and bar, where you can enjoy music, food and drinks. Pianist playing outside are creating a nice warming atmosphere, not cold in chilling night. Alcoholic beverages and liquor served, as well as soft drinks. Food is great and tasty, however was too spicy, not an option. Our order was delayed for quite long enough. In a busy night, there were few dessert dishes not available. Waiters and staff were really nice. A highly recommended place.

I must say it is a very good Japanese restaurant, run by a Japanese man who suggests daily dishes and guide you on the selection with honesty. I recommend. It is inside the hilton hotel, ground floor. When entering the hotel hall, go left and walk to the corridor. You will see it on your ́left hand side.

One of the best spots for sushi in Cairo, Sashimi was great and fresh as usual, hoso maki rolls were on point. Shrimp tempura roll was one of my favs. No options for dessert except ice cream.

I visited this restaurant for lunch because I heard that I can eat really delicious Japanese food here. It is located on the ground floor of the Marriott. I wanted to eat tonkatsu, but they didn't have any thick meat for tonkatsu that day, which was very disappointing. I ordered agedashi tofu, tempura moriawase, sushi, pork shogayaki, and soy sauce ramen, and they were really delicious. I often get disappointed when I eat sushi overseas, but this place was different. And above all, the pork shogayaki was especially delicious. The total cost was about 2,500 EGP. This is a very satisfying restaurant. If you want to eat really delicious Japanese food in Egypt, you should definitely go here. I'm a Japanese person, so I can say this for sure. There were also staff members who could speak Japanese.

Very authentic Japanese food. But the service is absolutely terrible and basic, and I would never go back. Eg. We ordered a bento box with a variety of items and it arrived missing several pieces. After we noticed, they informed us that the menu was outdated and these items were no longer included in the bento box. It took an argument to get the items/replacements added to our order.

absolute disgarce and disappointment ... the order at least took 1hr and the service was the worse of all. We ordered pork katshu and unagidon, pork katshu meat was jerkey and hard to chew and unagidon didn't came out due to poor service. The staff wasn't helpful at all and the rice and other dishes was low quailty. I will never ever come back to this failure. 0/10

One of the best Japanese restaurants you can find in Cairo. The Chef is Japanese and makes good sushi and other dishes too. I will definitely go there again. It’s a bit pricey but definitely worth the money. ごちそうさまでした🙂

The ice cream here is amazing! I tried the mango flavor, and it was absolutely delicious. Mango ice cream often tastes artificial, but this one was perfectly fresh and authentic. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more flavors!

Hands down the best ice cream in Zamalek—maybe in all of Cairo. I tried the mesteka (fragrant, not overly sweet) and dark chocolate (deep, silky, clean finish): 10/10. Portions are generous, service is quick, and the price was 140 EGP for two scoops—worth every pound.

My number 1 to go for Basbosa in Egypt. I love to buy it Sada (no nuts) and if you can get it with fresh Eshta (fresh cream) it will be sooooo good. Eid Kaak is really good as well (my favorite is Malban) I got also malban with eshta and it was really good. You can get it wrapped really well for luggage but I prefer to carry it by hand. Highly recommended.

Sweets are very good, taste very nice 😊 i asked the price for mixed boxes, they told me 500 each I bought 4 and I end up paying more than 2500 😂😂 whatever you do in Cairo, the minute the buyers figure out that you are foreigner you are finished 🤣🤣🤣🤣

This is a beautiful promenade. Perfect for warm sunny winter morning. However the service doesn't match the rest of the experience. The beer is barely cold, no draft beer available plus the service is extremely slow for unknown reasons. We had to wait almost 20 minutes for the check. This totally ruins the experience!

I'm usually very easy going and chill with places but this was genuinely one of the worst hotels I ever dined at. Ordered an all american breakfast and it was mid as hell, the eggs were overcooked, the hash browns were undercooked and the bagels are just baked dough. Everything was all over the place and the service was ridiculous. I had to ask for each little thing atleast three times, like my coffee which still hasn't arrived as I write this. If you're planning on having breakfast here, go somewhere else unless you like bland eggs and uncooked hash browns 😊

Worst Experience Ever. As a Marriott member, never been to a hotel cafe with such poor service. Staff is unfriendly and not helpful. The quality of food is not acceptable. We ordered one creamy chicken soup and one Lasagna. Staff just gave us one set of tableware and placemat, without any confirmation with the customer. When we ask for one more set of tableware, staff is impatient and we feel uncomfortable. As an international brand, it will be better to provide better training to staff.

The place has a gorgeous garden. It is a nice place for a lovely dinner experience with its luxory atmosfere. Foods are really delicious and the service is beyond excellent. Speacial thanks to Ayman and Mohamad! They were so helpful and smiling. Definietly recommend!!

It saddens me to leave such a review for what used to be my favourite place. Unfortunately, the experience has changed. The staff seemed overwhelmed and under pressure, which affected the level of service. The food quality was disappointing, small portions, lacking in flavour, and overall poor value for money. Even the coffee, which I used to love, was bitter. It’s truly disheartening to see this decline.

The breakfast was wonderful. Great options, and helpful staff, especially Mr Tarek and Ms Sahar. Will definitely return.

Convenient for couples, friends and businesses but not suitable for families and kids. Car parking is not available in the location

it was such a lovely experience! I tried the Egg Mushroom and the Halloumi Cheese dishes — both were super tasty and satisfying. The place has a nice vibe, especially in the morning. ⚠️*It was a bit hot and there were some flies*⚠️ The mixed berries & hibiscus drink was incredibly refreshing — definitely a must-try!💙 If you’re visiting, I highly recommend going for breakfast and trying that drink!

Wonderful, its located inside of the all saints church , vibes were so exciting, the place itself gets a bit crowded in the weekends but you’ll find a place nonetheless, it has outdoor and indoor areas both with different types of seating, staff is helpful, welcoming and very friendly yet very professional at what they do. Food was exceptional and the cheese quality was top notch , drinks are fine. Like the Arkan branch here also offers live music. Worth a try even if its just for the aesthetics

The cafe is unique and cozy, the coffee was great, and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely come back again. I loved the calm atmosphere and the attention to detail in the design. It’s a perfect spot to relax, work, or catch up with friends.

They have many branches, so I’m not exactly sure which one I was at. They offer a ‘Pyramid’ dessert that’s really rich and large. I tried the Umm Ali and rice pudding—total rating: 8/10

A traditional, clean restaurant with polite and attentive service. I visited twice during my 2-day stay. Tried the hummus with pickled lemon, ruccola salad, falafel, and pigeon rice—all excellent and made with quality ingredients. The hummus and falafel, in particular, were outstanding.

This was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. We came as a group with foreign guests, and it turned into a complete embarrassment. The food was disgusting — tasteless, ugly, and served in ridiculously tiny portions that were outrageously overpriced. To make it worse, half of us ended up with food poisoning afterward. The service was just as bad: the staff were rude and inflexible, even disrespectful to one of our important guests. The atmosphere and decorations are nothing special, just average, and definitely not enough to make up for the horrible food and service. We strongly advise everyone — Egyptians or foreigners — to avoid this place completely.

The place is amazing, high quality ingredients are used and the chef knows how to use them well! Tried the prawns gyoza and it was spectacular. The Philadelphia roll is exceptional as the salmon was very fresh. Also the Norwegian salmon plate was well-marinated and I liked it a lot. Ordered salmon, tuna and octopus sashimi; the tuna was very good but the others were average. Glass noodles tasted good but was a bit sticky. Didn’t like the dynamite roll that much, but generally fried sushi is not my cup of tea. The highlight of the table was the avocado dessert! I’m speechless about that plate! The mix of ingredients, freshness, tastiness is unbelievable! A mustttttt.. I wish I could have tried the Peking duck but it wasn’t available, would have preferred to be informed about this upon booking, as by default all items on the menu should be available, especially a signature one. However, the service is exceptional, they care a lot and are observative about your needs before asking, thanks Maged! Book before you go, and if you want a table on the view mention it, but they moved us once it became available. Price was 5.7k for two persons, you can easily spend less/more depending on the plates you are choosing.

We had Xmas Eve dinner here and had a great time, the food was amazingly good and presented in a very nice way. We had the Beef salad, Gyoza and a Volcano roll followed by Pad Thai and the steamed Sea bass, and 3 different desserts which all tasted great. Special shout out the waiter Maged who was very entertaining and funny and made the already very good experience even better, Definitely recommended

The food there was exceptional. The sushi and sashimi were amazing, one of the best places I ever tried sushi at. I tried the peking duck which was also very good. The truffle edamame was also great but I did not taste the truffle enough. The view was spectacular, I recommend asking for a smoking table to get the best views even if you don’t smoke.

We came for our honeymoon and our host, Mohammed Mido, made our experience unforgettable. The first night we told him it was our honeymoon at the table and he invited us to learn to make the food we loved in the kitchen. We could not stay but had such an amazing experience that we returned the next night to find a table decorated with flower petals and our initials! We were invited into the kitchen to learn how to make the food! Not only is the food amazing and the entertainment and atmosphere awesome, but the service is incredible. We would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be back!

I had the pleasure of dining at Bab El-Sharq inside The Nile Ritz-Carlton, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food is absolutely delicious — full of authentic flavors and beautifully presented. Everything from the fresh mezze to the main dishes was prepared with great care, and you can really taste the quality. At night, the atmosphere becomes magical with live entertainment: traditional Egyptian folklore dance, music, and even a belly dance performance that made the evening unforgettable. It’s not just a meal, it’s a cultural experience! The service was also excellent — attentive, welcoming, and professional throughout the evening. If you’re staying at the hotel (or even if you’re not), I highly recommend Bab El-Sharq for both the amazing food and the unique entertainment. A wonderful taste of Egyptian hospitality and tradition.

This restaurant was excellent. I went for dinner and there was live music which really set the ambiance paired with stunning views of the Egyptian Museum. The other patrons were clapping along and both singers were talented. The food was delicious. I had the hummus and the fried kebeh. Both were so good! And my waiter recommended an excellent glass of red Egyptian wine which paired very well. Overall, an excellent experience, meal, and set the tone for the rest of my trip! Would definitely return!

The only good thing about this place was the atmosphere, everything else is not worth the money. Starting with how horrible the customer service is at this restaurant. I would have imagined that a restaurant at a prestigious hotel like the ritz Carlton would aim to provide a service that went above and beyond but that is far far from the case. The waiters don’t seem to care to provide good customer service. I had to flag the waiter to just put my order in because they had forgotten about us, and it wasn’t because they were busy he was just on his cell phone. Then, when I told the server to come back to take my drink order he never came back. Appetizers came and I had nothing to eat my meal with. The server was no where to be found. We wanted to make an order for a main meal and again no server. Eventually I had to ask for the manager to come and help out which they sent the assistant manager. It did help get things going a bit but by this point I was already upset. They gave us a dessert, without asking if we wanted one, as a way to make things better but honestly by this point I just wanted to go back to my room to sleep. I would say considering the amount of money we spent the food was just okay. Again, I imagined better. The only thing this place has going for it is the evening shows and entertainment, but once the bad service and mid food comes in you’ll likely start to forget about it. Not sure I would come back.

The restaurant has a spectacular view that is absolutely unmatched. Staff we’re happy to accommodate our large group. Menu has nice variety of different dishes and is reasonably priced, considering the unique experience offered. Deducted one star as the food served was acceptable, but not up to expectation

It’s was an unforgettable experience, with extravagant views and food, the rotating dining hall is creative and fun, could have made so many interesting videos. The middle part of the building which includes open kitchen, elevators and simple bathroom(unexpectedly low-key, not match the environment actually) are fixed while the well decorated hallway and the dinner table are continuously circling but the edge of it including the glass and a small space between it are fixed too. The speed is very slow barely perceptible. So most of the time I just felt we were static because of illusion. We ordered two four course meals and it’s was more than abundant, the portion of the appetizers was bigger than I expected, plus the delicious little bit sweets of bread, I was almost full after it cause I was addicted to the bread! (I cannot believe that in the end the bread was the most delicious part🤣🤣🤣.) The soup were smaller portions and they put the solid part first and then the liquid part in front of you. It was funny but cute. When the two parts were not cooked together means the soul of the meal was separated. Furthermore the lamb shank was also giant with juicy sauce and milky mashed potatoes. But I could feel the slightly special smell of the lamp which I mind but most people don’t. I expected it to be seasoned better and stewed more thoroughly, in order to cover the smell. The sand&sea include shrimps beef which my company really enjoyed but I considered normal, and some vegetables to keep it look various and healthy. They deserts were so normal for me just like any other stores probably because we were already bloated in the end, kind of too heave after such a feast, so maybe we should have ordered some ice-cream or fruits if they provide. Overall, most of the time we had very good time with correspondingly high quality of service and attentive staff. However I don’t really understand about the bill except extra service fee and taxes not included in the menu, seems they charge a bit more than I should pay. It was 4373 pounds 89.42 dollars according to the rate of the day. But they directly charged 94.46. In whatever case they should explain or notify the difference while it was not a big deal. But seems they chose to do it hiddenly. Decency and honesty were so fundamental but still lacked in this high level occasion.

Hello, We ordered a 4-course menu. My main course was a beef steak, but unfortunately, it was served cold! The waiter, of course, acknowledged the issue and had it reheated. However, the dessert was moldy! (See photos!) So, out of four courses, two were disappointing. I was very impressed by the restaurant, the waiter, and the staff’s behavior—very nice and extremely friendly. But unfortunately, the food was not up to standard! Especially for a Hilton hotel, I expected better.

This is my first time going there, I’ve always heard about O’s pasta and thought it was overrated but when I tried it I felt like it was ok, it is a bit overhyped in my opinion. It tasted okay but something about it just wasn’t right to me. I couldn’t really put my finger on it but it’s something with the essence of the pasta that I did not like, however, I’m assuming it was a bit oily for my liking. We ordered Sun-kissed Cream Pasta and Pasta Limone, both with chicken. Both had the same taste, they were both average to me honestly and I feel like I could have better pasta somewhere else. On the other hand, my friend really loved it and she has been there multiple times already. I’ve always heard mixed reviews about the place, so it pretty much depends on your taste in food. It’s one of those places that you have to try and make up your own mind about it. I’d love to note that, the staff were super nice and polite! They were super nice and had this welcoming energy with their smiles!

The place is so cozy and small, even though it would be considered a con for some people but it feels like home there. Food is always served hot and nicely made! I love their rosemary pasta and Alfredo pasta so much The waiters and chefs are very friendly and polite, always greeting you with a warm smile Overall a 4/5 experience :)

Arrived there with no reservation but luckily we managed to find a table, the waiter tried to explain to us the pastas and sauces and when we ordered scampioni he said it has no sauce, but when we got it there was sauce it was just more of a lighter sauce with no cream so maybe they need a more thorough understanding of the pastas? He didn't ask also which type of pasta would we like. we ordered scampioni pasta and mushroom white sauce pasta, the scampioni pasta was to die for. Very light and fresh, the place was buzzing with people and the atmosphere was really nice, the portions are huge. The caprese salad was VERY bland though, and we had to take the rest home, the waiter just left it on the front counter without even mentioning that this bag was ours, i stood there waiting for anything until i asked and he just nodded which was very odd, other than that great food, okay service and decent experience.

I have been going to O’s for eight years now and the quality has remained the same… Fresh, flavorful and delicious! I make sure to stop by for a plate of my favorite, the sun kissed cream pasta, whenever I’m back in Cairo :)

THE BEST PASTA I HAVE TASTED EVER! i have been going to this place since 2018 it’s my one and only destination when am really craving pasta. I highly recommend the SIX and Pasta Limone when it comes to white sauce chicken options

It's really different. Another note: Shrimp Olé is typically served with garlic slices. If you want it minced just let the waiter know.

The restaurant has some positives but also room for improvement. While the ingredients used in the dishes are high quality, the food itself was quite average and didn’t fully meet my expectations. Indian food was much better than the Thai food. The service was good, but considering it’s managed by Four Seasons, I anticipated a higher level of quality of service. One major drawback is that the restaurant isn’t stroller-friendly, which made it challenging to navigate with our kids.

Very underrated. The food was delicious quantities were good and the prices were suitable. Highly recommend it We ordered the bao buns & corn robatayaki for starters. And we got the Mongolian beef & coriander chicken, they both come with steamed rice but we ordered noodles & fried rice with them.

We ate at Nairu last night. We had the Beef Bao Buns and several different dumplings as well as sushi. All were excellent! Our server Hossam was exceptional! The view of the boats on the water was an added bonus.

The place is nice and calm. Food is super tasty i went for the Red chicken curry and Chicken makhni. Staff are auper professional, neat, friendly and really amazing. Parking is in front of the boat so you can park easily the only annoying part of it is el sayes and street beggars

Let me talk about professionalism and hospitality. I visited Bab el Nile twice the first one was around 2019 and the second visit was in July 2024. On the second visit, we ordered chicken liver with pomegranate sauce, a Mix grill, Fatoush salad, and Egyptian Fattah with Moza meat. All the food was delicious and amazing except the rice of the fattah was very bad and wasn't up to the level. The responsible asked us about our opinion and I shared honestly my comment with him about the rice. For them, they took it seriously and acted professionally and they gave us a saffron cake as a compliment to apologize for the low quality of the rice. The saffron cake was amazing and delicious without extra sweetness. For what happened I still recommend this restaurant, especially since the view is very good and the vibes are amazing and cozy. All the personnel working there are friendly and professional. Thank you for your service, kindness, and professionalism.

When I first entered the restaurant I was met with the manager Ibrahim and he was so rude to me. He was shouting and he’s always shouting throughout the whole night that I was there and he was so rude to me and I was very polite with him, but he answered me in a rude way. I was with my friends yesterday and I was speaking to the manager Ibrahim who does not deserve to be a manager of a restaurant at the fairmont hotel a 5* star hotel he was shouting I reserved a table 3 hours beforehand and was promised a good table and a view of the performance but I was met with a table below expectation and was very disappointed and the manager no help at all he was rude and arrogant and unhelpful.

Pier 88 is so amazing that we made dinner reservations two nights in a row!! The food and the ambiance is incredible!! The filet had the depth of smoke that one can only dream of. The risotto was so creamy and tender, it was so good that it was to die for. The calamari was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. The atmosphere is amazing and it makes it so easy for you to get comfortable and caught up in it. Spicy meatballs were probably the best I’ve ever had. The ravioli were absolutely beautiful. Our server George and Mena were great, keeping perfect timing and a perfect table for us… if you have not been to Pier 88 in Cairo, it is hands down an absolute must go place for the best food in Egypt!

Had dinner here last night. After taking my order, the waiter didn’t even print out the ticket. By the time I finished all my food, the guava juice I ordered earlier still hadn’t arrived. The Japanese couple at the next table waited for almost an hour and still didn’t get their food,completely forgotten. But only two small sticks, served with fries and rice (you can choose two sides). 🍝 Chicken Alfredo – Rich, creamy, and cheesy. Big portion and really tasty! 🤤 Perfect comfort food on a windy day. 🥙 Hawawshi – Crispy on the outside, packed with juicy minced beef inside. Very satisfying.

Very tasty dishes and fairly priced. The mozzarella stick / samosa / chicken share starter was superb and loved the minced beef samosa. Had mossaka minced beef and was super tomatoey and flavoursome. The waiters were friendly and dunno why others noted otherwise - just be polite and respectful to them. Only annoyance are 1-2 flies in the outdoor area. Highly recommended

Excellent food. Nice Ambiance. Went there twice. On both occasion, they have been consistent in delivering quality service. If they can provide a designated smoking and non smoking area for the airconditioned rooms, that would be great. Overall, extremely satisfied.

We had such a lovely meal — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully served. Hadeer, our waitress, was truly exceptional: warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. Definitely one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Cairo!

Cozy spot. Came here yesterday for a quick dinner. The Chicken Cream soup was simple, yet delicious. The Om Ali was amazing. After being disappointed at B Laban, I really wanted to find some good Om Ali before leaving Cairo and the one at Oldish did not disappoint. Our server Adham was great as well, very kind, attentive and quick, which came in handy as we were in a bit of a rush. Would definitely come back again.

Oldish is a beautiful restaurant! They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is like a secrete garden - perfect for brunch with loved ones. They have both Egyptian and continental breakfast options. You must try their mocktail - it's delicious.

The service is fast, and the food is absolutely delicious — it feels like prices from the good old days! The staff are incredibly friendly and respectful, always welcoming with a smile. I’ve gotten used to eating here every day for all my meals. Breakfast and lunch are both great, with very reasonable prices, especially considering it’s located in a tourist area in Downtown Cairo. What makes the place even more special is the beautiful touch of nostalgia — the background music is filled with authentic oriental melodies that instantly transport you to the charm of old Egypt. It’s more than just a restaurant; it’s a place of memories, warmth, and timeless Egyptian spirit. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for good food, kind people, and an atmosphere that truly feels like home. 🌿✨

Great place for grill and sheesha. Food was amazing and service was great! It was super chilly night..remember to carry a jacket if you are traveling during April. It’s an open terrace and the place gives a full view of the river Nile.

The food was tasteless and not fresh. Batata harra normally should have spices and minced parsley on it. It had no spices and was just fried potato cubes. Shish tawook was dry and not seasoned. The bread was egyptian balady bread ( should be lebanese bread as this is supposed to be a lebanese restaurant) and was not fresh, it was microwaved and they admitted to it and changed it. The view is great and the place has so much potential. Such a shame the food was so bad. I am giving this review 2 stars only because of the nice staff who insisted on removing the shish tawook from the bill.

Lovely location to eat delicious local food. Ahmed and his colleagues were very attentive and helped to make this our favourite place in the hotel to relax. The food was excellent and it was nice to be able to finish off a meal with a shisha while watching the River Nile glide by.

The location of this restaurant is undeniably beautiful, with great views of the Nile and the Cairo Tower. I really wish the experience had matched the scenery. Unfortunately, the food, drinks, and overall service were incredibly disappointing. It took an unreasonably long time just for someone to take our order, and an even longer wait for our drinks to arrive. When they finally did, the drinks were flavorless, especially the alcoholic ones. Our food order arrived incorrect, and what we did receive was bland and definitely overpriced for the quality. What made things even worse was the attitude from the staff. They came across as rude and seemed annoyed that I, a foreigner, was dining with local friends. It made my friends uncomfortable and really put a damper on the evening. This was genuinely the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. The view may be nice, but nothing else is worth it.

Expensive, as you should imagine, restaurant. The images of the menu are really old, now it's that price multiplied 6 times. Beautiful sight of the Nile. Huge tv screen that if you are not watching it bothers. And the food ok. Small portion. We only had beetroot hummus and okra, as there are only a few cold mezze vegan options.

Amazing views but not a great place to have dinner. The photos online looked liked a full-on prepared restaurant, however when we got there it was more like a swimming pool restaurant. The food was okay; the chicken I ordered was quite dry. The staff was very friendly but hard to communicate in English.
