Maison Thomas in Zamalek, Cairo has been a go-to spot for delicious pizza since 1912. This renowned restaurant offers a variety of thin-crust pizzas, including favorites like funghi, pastrami, four-cheese, and the beloved Margherita. What sets Maison Thomas apart is its blend of Italian and American pizza with an Egyptian twist, resulting in a unique and unforgettable flavor experience.
The best everrrrrr... This is better than the pizza i got in Italy! ...some of the best pasta plates I have ever tasted...I have only tried the Zamalek branch for the past 24 years ...I don't think I will try other branches honestly ...original is usually the best ...
Karim A — Google review
I must admit, I had high expectations for this pizza place, but it fell short of my expectations. The pizza was bland and the crust was thick and unappealing. It was a complete disappointment. On the bright side, the service was excellent. The waiter, with white hair and a thoughtful demeanor, took care of everything except for the pizza. The lasagna was okay, but not as good as the pasta at the nearby O’s. The salad was average, with a small portion and a high price. Despite these shortcomings, there’s still a chance I’ll visit again.
夏召汉 — Google review
One of the best pizzas in Egypt. To be honest the toppings are much better than the dough. But overall the food is tasty. The personnel are very gentle and welcoming. For sure, a place that I certainly would like to come over again with pleasure.
Samir C — Google review
Found this beautiful quaint little place today. Founded in 1922 with art deco lights. Plenty of vegetarian options. Ordered the Capriossca pizza (my first ever pizza with boiled egg!) and Margherita and cheese garlic bread. Simple, flavorful but delicious. Friendly service and quite popular with the locals. Their molten chocolate cake was also nice Open 24hrs for delivery. Shut only from 2am to 5am! Definitely a place to visit again.
Karthik M — Google review
The food was amazing delicious and special. I really recommended for anyone loved pizza or pasta.
Saeed A — Google review
The food is delicious, but there are definitely better pizzas and pastas elsewhere. The pizza crust is very, very thin. The price is overpriced; you can eat much more elsewhere for less. It's only good to try once, no more. The place is cramped, and sometimes sitting with a moderate number of people is uncomfortable.
WA'EL M — Google review
I loved the place and its vibe. The staff is friendly and your order comes fast. The pizza is amazing! I’m not a pizza loving person. But this vegetarian pizza made me fall in love with it. It was filled with toppings and the dough is thin so I can enjoy the toppings even more! I also liked the alfredo pizza, but vegetarian is my favorite. Highly recommend if you like veggies! You can also add cheese to it. The prices are very affordable and they include tax(not service). And by the way, don’t order garlic bread you’ll be disappointed. Focus on the delicious pizza!
Nada M — Google review
April 2024: been here more than 10 years ago.quality has changed for the worse. It was the best quality cheese and soft thin Napolitano dough. This is a product place, it should reflect on quality of ingredients. We got 2 medium pizzas. The dough is thin and dry, gauging from -my pizza making days-I think this is a ready-made dough. It was dry and not tasty. The cheese quality is best there is in this high cost market but it is not like before. The tomato sauce is not represented in the taste group of the pizza. The 3 stars are for the dry dough and for that the place has no bathroom 😲 . I'm sure it was not possible to put one for whatever reason, but it is not acceptable to have a sit-down restaurant without a bathroom.

Le Pacha 1901 is a renowned dining complex located in the prestigious Le Pacha complex in Zamalek. It offers a variety of upscale dining experiences set aboard a floating boat on the Nile, providing stunning views and an elegant setting.
Piccolo mondo , you get in and find some italian decorations and names of people carved on the walls all around you , you get seated by helpful staff (but you need to have a reservation) , the menu has a wide selection of drinks and Italian cuisine dishes. I ordered seafood pasta and salmon fettuccine and both were very tasty , the best thing about this place is the view by the nile which makes the whole experience blends in together nicely. If you want a break from the city lights this place is highly recommended .
John S — Google review
Piccolo Mondo, nestled in the basement of Le Pasha boat, offers a cozy setting with pseudo "Italian specialties". The ambiance is charming and the service is decent, making it a pleasant spot for a casual meal. The food itself is middle-of-the-road — nothing extraordinary but passable. The biggest letdown was the bread buns, which tasted like they were defrosted in the microwave and lacked freshness. Overall, it's an acceptable choice if you're not seeking culinary perfection but just a relaxed meal by the Nile.
Marwan R — Google review
What a great place! We kicked off our Egypt holiday here and finished it here because Carlo Le Pacha 1901 does everything we wanted. Good beer? Check. Tasty cocktails? Check. Excellent food (both Egyptian and other choices)? Check. The real winner for us was the combination of all that with a solid shisha/hookah menu and live sports on TV. It's the complete package you struggle to find elsewhere. The vibe is upscale but comfortable. We'll be back on our next trip for sure!
Chris A — Google review
Le Pacha is an absolute gem in Cairo! The food was delicious — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, perfect for a memorable evening. But what really made the experience unforgettable was the stunning view of the Nile! This place is a must-try. Highly recommended!
Faatimah S — Google review
Amir was a great host. We had so much fun. The food was great. Drinks are beyond amazing. Great vibes all around.
Michael Y — Google review
Le Pacha was definitely a great experience in Cairo! The staff was very helpful and friendly, the food amazing and the environment very well organised. The portions were big and fulfilling, and the flavours incredible. Try out the Steak with roquefort sauce, it is a wonderful dish, accompanied with excellent fries! Also, do not forget to take a look around and visit the terrace, as the view of the Nile is beautiful. Keep in mind there is a big staircase to reach the restaurant with no ramps, so it's not for people with reduced mobility.
Σάντυ M — Google review
Disappointing experience. Le Pacha group is recognized for upscale dining, specialy, Carlos. However, piccolo mondo was a disappointment. In a basic Italian themed restaurant, you are served high quality EVOO and a fine balsamic vinegar, paired with good quality bread, while waiting for the meal. That was not provided until we asked for it. We received a bowl of stale olive oil, and low quality balsamic vinegar. Compared to other lower caliber Italian themed restaurants in heliopolis, piccolo mondo failed. Pizza ingredients were good, the expected quality, but the dough was more of chewy bread. In the end, that was not the anticipated quality while dining in le pacha
Salam G — Google review
Better make a reservation. It was a very pleasant experience with loads of Italian vibes. As if you are sitting inside an old pizzeria in Italy. The menu is varied and the quality of the food is worth the price. We enjoyed a selection of Italian salads, Salami pizza, and Penne Le Pacha. We were quite full and we had no room for dessert after this delicious load of carbs. You get to enjoy a very nice and close view of the Nile since it is located in the bottom floor of the boat. Fit for a date and a casual dining experience.

The restaurant offers a unique twist on classic French cuisine, featuring a 6-course dinner with heavenly dishes like oven-baked beef wellington and roasted rabbit loin glazed with pearl onion and pumpkin puree. Diners from around the world are drawn to this establishment for its scrumptious steak options, including Australian Wagyu beef, Chateaubriand, and Cote de boeuf.
Just had dinner with my mum! Must say totally totality! Amazing service food and view and food! Staff all 3 were amazing individuals! Forgot their names sorry 😟. But all 3 men were equally amazing polite and respectful
Ikram A — Google review
I had a wonderful experience at the Grill Restaurant. The food was excellent and full of flavor, and the view of the Nile made the atmosphere truly special. We celebrated my wife’s birthday there, and I had asked for a cake in advance — they delivered it beautifully and made the celebration unforgettable. A special thanks to Mr. Walid for his warm hospitality and outstanding service. It is a bit on the pricey side (around 4000 LE per person), but for the quality, service, and overall experience, it’s definitely worth it. Highly recommende

Absolutely loved the experience! The food was full of flavor and beautifully presented — you can really tell they care about quality and taste. The service was just as impressive — welcoming, efficient, and genuinely kind. A special shoutout to Walid, who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. His friendly attitude and professionalism really stood out. Highly recommend this place and definitely coming back!

Located in the Zamalek neighborhood, the Cairo Tower is a telecommunications tower with a stunning revolving restaurant at its top. Offering an international gourmet menu featuring steaks, seafood, and chicken, the Revolving Restaurant provides an elegant dining experience with options for special diets such as vegetarian and gluten-free. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of Cairo's skyline, the Nile River, and the Pyramids while savoring their meal.
Fantastic Revolving Restaurant First of all the whole experience is superb, they deliver more than promised. The main point of seeing 360° of the Nile worth every penny! The service is top class and it's not some soulless service that is looking for a tip, they cared about how the food was and what we needed to make our last night in Egypt the best one! As said, the price is what they promised, we spent €80 for two people without alcohol (they don't sell it) which of course was the most we paid here but the food was soo tasty that we loved it. Special mention to Mohamed Adel for the fantastic service 👏👏
Alejo P — Google review
Dinner With a View AND a Vibe! Eating at the revolving restaurant was such a unique and unforgettable experience. It’s not just a meal—it’s a full-on event. The 360-degree view while dining is absolutely stunning. Watching the city slowly rotate around you while enjoying your food? Unreal. Perfect for dates, celebrations, or just treating yourself. The food matched the views—high quality, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. From appetizers to dessert, everything felt premium. The menu had great variety too, so there’s something for everyone, whether you’re into meats, seafood, or veggie dishes. Service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, professional, and really added to the upscale feel without being snobby or cold. We never felt rushed, and they were super attentive with drink refills and checking in. The whole place has this calm, classy atmosphere, and the slow rotation just makes it feel peaceful and surreal. 100% would go again—it’s one of those spots you remember long after the last bite. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out.
Seraj S — Google review
Amazing view, delicious meals, friendly and polite staff. The 360 view is fantastic and worth it
Khaled O — Google review
Amazing vibes and good experience must try once at least suitable for romantic dinner. Food wasn't good but not bad, and small portions, price is too much expensive but worth it once-in-a-lifetime
Wessam E — Google review
The restaurant has a spectacular view that is absolutely unmatched. Staff we’re happy to accommodate our large group. Menu has nice variety of different dishes and is reasonably priced, considering the unique experience offered. Deducted one star as the food served was acceptable, but not up to expectation
Amr M — Google review
It’s was an unforgettable experience, with extravagant views and food, the rotating dining hall is creative and fun, could have made so many interesting videos. The middle part of the building which includes open kitchen, elevators and simple bathroom(unexpectedly low-key, not match the environment actually) are fixed while the well decorated hallway and the dinner table are continuously circling but the edge of it including the glass and a small space between it are fixed too. The speed is very slow barely perceptible. So most of the time I just felt we were static because of illusion. We ordered two four course meals and it’s was more than abundant, the portion of the appetizers was bigger than I expected, plus the delicious little bit sweets of bread, I was almost full after it cause I was addicted to the bread! (I cannot believe that in the end the bread was the most delicious part🤣🤣🤣.) The soup were smaller portions and they put the solid part first and then the liquid part in front of you. It was funny but cute. When the two parts were not cooked together means the soul of the meal was separated. Furthermore the lamb shank was also giant with juicy sauce and milky mashed potatoes. But I could feel the slightly special smell of the lamp which I mind but most people don’t. I expected it to be seasoned better and stewed more thoroughly, in order to cover the smell. The sand&sea include shrimps beef which my company really enjoyed but I considered normal, and some vegetables to keep it look various and healthy. They deserts were so normal for me just like any other stores probably because we were already bloated in the end, kind of too heave after such a feast, so maybe we should have ordered some ice-cream or fruits if they provide. Overall, most of the time we had very good time with correspondingly high quality of service and attentive staff. However I don’t really understand about the bill except extra service fee and taxes not included in the menu, seems they charge a bit more than I should pay. It was 4373 pounds 89.42 dollars according to the rate of the day. But they directly charged 94.46. In whatever case they should explain or notify the difference while it was not a big deal. But seems they chose to do it hiddenly. Decency and honesty were so fundamental but still lacked in this high level occasion.
夏召汉 — Google review
Hello, We ordered a 4-course menu. My main course was a beef steak, but unfortunately, it was served cold! The waiter, of course, acknowledged the issue and had it reheated. However, the dessert was moldy! (See photos!) So, out of four courses, two were disappointing. I was very impressed by the restaurant, the waiter, and the staff’s behavior—very nice and extremely friendly. But unfortunately, the food was not up to standard! Especially for a Hilton hotel, I expected better.
Sepehr N — Google review
The revolving restaurant offers a unique experience, slowly turning to provide breathtaking 360-degree views. It completes a full rotation in about 1.5 hours, making for a captivating dining experience. While the food is average and doesn’t quite stand out, the stunning views make it a worthwhile visit. Perfect for those who want to enjoy a meal with a spectacular backdrop. To dine here, you’ll need to book one of the designated time slots, and be aware that there’s a dress code—dresses are required for ladies.

Nairu is a Pan-Asian restaurant located on the First Nile Boat at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence. It offers a mix of Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and Indian cuisine in an elegant setting with a sushi bar and robatayaki grill station. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the Nile while savoring exotic Asian dishes. The restaurant also features an open-air pizzeria and bar serving brick-oven pizzas and cocktails.
A superb restaurant, located at the second floor in the new Four Seasons boat at the Nile.. The whole experience was awesome, starting from the superior Nile view, going through the very delicious food and topped by the excellent service! The Mongolian beef is definitely the most delicious but other dishes were so good too. We were celebrating a friend's birthday where they also prepared a special cake labeled with our friend's name and the cake was very good! I strongly recommend not to miss dining there, it is going to be an evening to remember and enjoy.
Rafik S — Google review
The restaurant has some positives but also room for improvement. While the ingredients used in the dishes are high quality, the food itself was quite average and didn’t fully meet my expectations. Indian food was much better than the Thai food. The service was good, but considering it’s managed by Four Seasons, I anticipated a higher level of quality of service. One major drawback is that the restaurant isn’t stroller-friendly, which made it challenging to navigate with our kids.
Shady A — Google review
Very underrated. The food was delicious quantities were good and the prices were suitable. Highly recommend it We ordered the bao buns & corn robatayaki for starters. And we got the Mongolian beef & coriander chicken, they both come with steamed rice but we ordered noodles & fried rice with them.

Guests can indulge in a couples massage at the full-service spa or enjoy a romantic dinner at one of the six restaurants offering diverse cuisines.
I’ve never enjoyed a hotel like Sofitel el Gezirah! Wonderful views. Amazing foods - fantastic display and presentation….class and beyond. I book my room on the 11th floor each time I stay because of Sherene and basma from house keeping. Both ladies are kind and friendly. They don’t just come in and clean the room…they make sure my stay is comfortable and special. I’m grateful for their professional demeanor and dedication to make me feel comfortable. Thank you Sheren and Basma for bringing me the coffee capsules I like to enjoy as I’m looking at the magnificent Nile and it’s cathartic feel

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. The food was outstanding – every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The cleanliness of the entire property was exceptional, from the rooms to the common areas, everything was spotless and well-maintained. The view was breathtaking and truly added to the experience, making every moment special. Everything about this stay exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and a memorable experience. Khalid, and Moussa were very helpful and amazing!

Amazing stay! This hotel has absolutely stunning views and the lobby and restaurants are beautiful. The rooms are quite old and in desperate need of renovation, I’ve stayed in nicer best westerns. BUT the beautiful location, the amenities, and the amazing staff made it a 5 star experience. I’ve never been treated better at a hotel. Book the spa, it’s gorgeous!! They gave us a cake in our room for our honeymoon which was so appreciated and made our stay very memorable. The rooms could be loud at night due to nearby restaurants / bars, but that’s life! I was told only some rooms are non smoking so look out for that.

This hotel is absolutely fabulous. I have never met a staff so attentive and caring as in this hotel, especially in this price range. Views are beautiful from the Magnifque rooms, the receptionists and concierges fulfill every request they possibly can. The Millesime Club is to die for, staff there is just excellent!

The staff could not do more for you. From the time of arrival to departure, we were treated like royalty. We received a complimentary room upgrade to junior suite which had a view to Nile. The bed was very, very comfortable. Breakfast was first class. We ate dinner at two of the restaurants and again, supero service and delicious food. Staff were never far from you and always checked to ensure everything was okay. On leaving, staff double checked to ensure that our stay was good. Cannot praise reception, wait staff, baggage handlers and all other staff enough for a most pleasurable stay.

Very nice hotel at the Nile. Especially thanks to the personnel.. The service and kindness was outstanding. At the club millesime you have a great view of the city and we even got 2 free drinks. Great! All the restaurants are great. Nice food and very friendly and helpfull personnel. Rooms are fine but the bathroom a bit small.

I visited Sofitel El Gezirah for a training course, and I was really impressed 🌟. The hotel has been recently renovated, beautifully designed, and offers a very elegant atmosphere with stunning Nile views. During my visit, I tried Kebabgy Restaurant, and it was simply outstanding 👌🏼🔥. The charcoal-grilled meats were full of flavor, the appetizers were fresh, and the terrace overlooking the Nile made the whole experience unforgettable. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, it’s definitely worth visiting for the food and ambiance.

XODÓ is a refined grill located on a docked boat, offering modern Brazilian dishes and signature cocktails. The restaurant is known for its Brazilian barbecue, where an endless parade of grilled meats are carved table-side. This style of barbecue differs from others as it consists of large chunks of slow-cooked meat presented on sword-like metal skewers. XODÓ offers a romantic ambiance with colorful South American cuisine and candlelit settings, making it an ideal spot for special occasions like Valentine's Day.
This is the best restaurant experience of my whole life. First they explained the concept and the menu, and then we got served the best parmesan crusted garlic butter bread ever. The side dishes were amazing and flavorful, and the meat was done perfectly as well. The whole experience was made wonderful and truly special by Mostafa. He is kind, thoughtful, and passionate, and takes good care of his guests. We will be back as soon as possible!

This is an exceptional place, went for all you can eat which gave the chance to try everything Starting from salads, great variety and all of them were exceptionally good. the raw seafood in the salad was great all the fruits were tasty. The appetizers was great the mozarella cheese and cheese balls, didnt like the fried banana at all. The beef and chicken were great, well marinated and perfectly cooked.didnt like the parmesan beef and bacon chicken. A bit pricey though paid 3000+ per person. Worth trying. Btw the garlic bread is amazing!

My husband and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary here. We got the all you can eat experience and it was so filling! My favorite was the parmesean cheese fillet mignon and the rib eye. I also enjoyed the salads and the banana sugar appetizer. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic. The service was outstanding. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is the deserts are quite awful. We tried the chocolate fudge cake and lemon tart. Both were disappointing. But it was ok anyhow because we were so full from practically eating a whole cow lol.

A Masterclass in How to Ruin Churrasco… The setting was gorgeous, the service was polished, the sides were delicious, and the wine hit all the right notes. For a moment I thought we were about to have a proper Four Seasons experience. Then the meat arrived, and the dream ended. Apparently, churrasco now means “small random grill pieces tossed on skewers.” Who knew? The rotisserie, that small detail that defines the entire concept, was “not in use because it wasn’t busy enough.” That’s like saying the oven isn’t on because there aren’t enough pizzas. Every piece of meat that reached the table was well done, no matter how many times we asked for medium rare. I paid premium prices for what felt like the world’s most exclusive minute steaks. Beautiful spot, great team, but someone needs to remind the kitchen that churrasco is cooked on the rotisserie, not just spoken of fondly.
Alex S — Google review
The steak & lamb chop was amazing. High quality of cooking and fresh meat. Should order medium rare of cooking. The virgin mojito without alcohol is amazing. The garlic bread is amazing too. Definitely will come again 😀
Mostafa S — Google review
This was definitely a disappointment. The food was overcooked and under seasoned and really overpriced. The only thing that was remotely worth eating was the bread (which was served pretty late). And the waitering staff had attitude for some reason. The best thing is the view.
Ismail F — Google review
Absolutely the best steak I have ever had. Great location with a direct nile view, presentation and service. Everything is delicious even the appetizers, salad and the steak!. The only downside that their concept is only “All you can eat” with a price per person 1500 EGP after service and tax, so very expensive, especially for people that don’t eat much, it wouldn’t be as enjoyable!. Very recommended for special occasions or business meetings!
Abdullah S — Google review
A very nice experience. The place is probably the smallest out of all Brazilian steakhouses I've been to but it is the only one in a boat on the Nile. It is very cozy with less than a dozen of tables. Cuts' selection was limited (when we went, picanha was not there. It is one of my favorites). Waiters took good care of us. Service was super friendly: Habiba and Moustapha were very nice. They were able to describe salads and hot dishes perfectly and provide recommendations when asked. The chef Karim, cooked our meat to a perfect doneness. He was also very kind to customize some cuts to our liking. Salads and hot plates were super nice except the cucumber/apple salad. Deserts were also great except the pudding inside the lemon tart was very cold, almost ice cream. Overall, we really enjoyed this meal and we would love to return.

Aura offers a modern Shami cuisine, blending Lebanese and Syrian flavors. The restaurant provides poolside views of the city, creating a beautiful ambiance at night with lights reflecting off the water. Guests can enjoy fresh bread from the brick oven and comfortable seating, including cabana-style rooms for added privacy. The menu features delicious dishes like baba ganoush and hawawshi, all made from scratch with no processed ingredients.
The food they have is very delicious personally the grilled shrimp was the best and highly recommend. We also tried kofta and kebab and it didn’t disappoint. The deserts were disappointing the om ali was too watery and the mafroka wasn’t bad.

Aura in Cairo offers a refined dining experience with a modern and elegant atmosphere. The interior is stylish and comfortable, making it a great place for a romantic dinner or a special occasion. The menu focuses on Mediterranean cuisine, with fresh ingredients and well-executed dishes that stand out in both flavor and presentation. Seafood dishes are especially recommended, and the wine selection is quite extensive, complementing the meals well. The service is attentive and professional, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option, it delivers good value for a quality night out. A solid 4-star spot for a memorable meal in Cairo.

Nice Lebanese restaurant with pool view. Seats are comfortable, there are cabana style rooms so you can feel more privacy even though the restaurant is outside. Baba ganoush is very good, all bread is fresh and warm, hawawshi and pita bread sandwich was so tasty. Staffs were all kind and nice.

I recently dined at Aura Restaurant in Cairo, and while the service was excellent, the food was a major disappointment. It arrived cold, lacked flavor, and didn’t justify the high prices. For a restaurant that markets itself as upscale, I expected much better. The staff was professional and attentive, but unfortunately, great service can’t make up for overpriced, poorly prepared food. Definitely not worth the money unless they make serious improvements.

Started out as a great evening and we enjoyed ourselves at the venue, but unfortunately my wife and I both got food poisoning from either the octopus or the sea bass, though we suspect the octopus. This put quite a damper on the end of our trip and a shame as the restaurant was nice and everything else was good. I hope the restaurant will do everything they can to prevent these happening going forward.

Our First Dinner In Egypt. We have been touring the UAE for the past week and a half. Cairo is definitely different than Dubai. We were staying at the Four Seasons which is 1/2 block away from this impressive restaurant. The hotel recommended that we take a car to cross the street. This is a floating barge permanently tied to the pier. They call it First Nile Boat. Apparently there are a few different restaurant options from which to choose from. Zoe is Mediterranean food. The view was spectacular and the decor is like you were dinning in Mykonos. We shared the Chicken Kebabs..juicy and cooked to perfection. We also had a Chiopinno Italiano Soup..delicious! In spite of all the warnings not to consume ice in Egypt my first drink was a Piña Colada with crushed ice…simply Devine.(72 hours later and have not gotten sick) The only thing we did not like everyone got a steamed towel to clean their hands except my wife and I. My favorite thing about Zoe is the pricing ….2/3 cheaper than eating out in Dubai.

Le Bistro is a great place to go for a drink and some good food. The atmosphere is really nice, and the staff are very friendly. The prices are also very reasonable, making it a great choice for budget-minded visitors. In addition, the live music makes it an enjoyable experience even if you're not a fan of jazz.
One of the best places in downtown Cairo , lovely and cozy 🥰 Staff are very friendly & professional.. Prices very reasonable 👌🏼 The food is just awesome and delicious 😋 Pasta is so yummy👌🏼 Sausage and liver was super good and delicious like no place ever, tried it as appetizers
Asmaa N — Google review
I ordered liver and sausages then I got the beef with mushroom sauce and vegetables. The introductory bread was good and freshly baked I think (it was warm and fluffy from the inside). The liver and sausages with tahini sauce were amazing, the spices and recipe were on point. The beef with mushroom sauce was good but wasnt that great. The beef was cooked properly but the mushroom sauce was lacking some taste. The veggies were good. I was disappointed that the french fries were obviously not homemade and just deep fried like fast food restaurants even though this meal is expensive. The decor and music were good the tables and utensils were old and needed updating. Also, I came at 11.30 thinking they close at 2 am then turns out they close at 12, but the waiter made sure that I take my time and didn’t even mention it until I brought it up. Recommended if you are looking for a calm restaurant with good French food.

All the best bits from the 80s. Sadly including the smokey atmosphere. But the food, wine and service make up for this. Can recommend most of the menu having dined here twice in group of 3. The steak and duck cooked exactly to order. Clean bathrooms and the option of a bar next door.

Everything was perfect, romantic atmosphere , A nice gentleman serving us, the smell of the fresh bread , the starters and the appetizers was liver and sausage was so juicy and tasty and the main dishes was Beef medailion sauce (mushrooms for me and pepper for my wife) unfortunately there was no place in our stomach for dessert.

While La Madeleine Café boasts a beautiful location, my recent experience there, was unfortunately disappointing. The ambiance is lovely and the scenery is perfect for a relaxing afternoon, however the unwelcoming attitude of the staff ruined our visit… Rather than feeling welcomed and valued as customers, we felt ignored and rushed. The service was lacking, and it made enjoying our time there quite difficult. It's a shame, because the café has so much potential with its stunning surroundings. I hope management can address these service issues, as they detract from what could otherwise be a wonderful dining experience. I won't be returning for sure and hopefully no other person will face that same bad behavior 👎

I visited LAMADELEINE for a special occasion, and it truly stands out for its beautiful location overlooking the river, offering a calm and pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant is clean, well-presented, and designed with an elegant touch that adds to the overall charm. The ambiance is relaxing, making it suitable for family gatherings or friendly meet-ups. However, there were a few negative points that impacted the experience. The service was extremely slow, and most of the menu items were unavailable during my visit. Additionally, the staff’s attitude did not meet the expectations for a restaurant of this level, leaving an uncomfortable impression. In summary, the restaurant excels in location, ambiance, and cleanliness, but there is a need to improve service quality and ensure menu availability to provide a truly complete dining experience.

EDIT: Owners claim this is a fake review. We did order from them as it shows on the pictures I submitted and their logo is on the desserts we ordered. This is truly a terrible way to address bad service and reviews. A ton of good places in Cairo, this is not one of them. ----- Avoid this place if you are from out of town. We tried ice cream and cappuccino and had an immediate upset stomach... we suspect the milk they used was not fresh. The service was mediocre I had to chase them to get my receipt. The cakes do not look appetizing either... They look almost plastic. We ordered some Arabic sweets to go and these were unfortunately terrible too. This was a one and done type of place.

Truly one of a kind experience, will absolutely recommend to my friends. The only issue I faced is that we asked for a medium-well steak and an extra well-done steak but we got both well done, but it tasted delicious nonetheless. Staff were super friendly and sweet.
Rubaiba — Google review
We went for my wife's birthday. First of all the service was great and the staff were extremely nice. The show is good, adults and kids enjoy it a lot. The only issue with the restaurant is that they allow people to smoke icos in the restaurant, the restaurant is closed with AC on so after a bit all the place smelled of icos smoke. My wife does not eat cheese so for the first 2 courses she got a green salad and for the second course she got a red sauce pasta. For the food, both salads were very good. The ravioli and pasta were very nice, they were everyone favorites (people vote at the end for the best dish). The biggest disappointment were the steaks they were cooked more of a well done rather then medium and there taste was mu.ch less than expected. The shrimps were very good. The vegetables were very good as well. The dessert was not the best dish, lots of people just got a taste and left the rest of the dish The birthday cake was better than the dessert. Soft drinks and juice are included in the price. It's definitely worth a try, lots of people had kids and they enjoyed the show a lot.

Date night with my husband. Was an amazing atmosphere and fun experience. Watching the animated chefs cook each course on your table was cute! The food was delicious. We loved the buffalo cheese and tomato salad. The service was friendly from everyone and it was fun to vote and see who won at the end of the show. Highly recommend for a unique dining experience!

The experience was truly unique and special. I surprised my husband while visiting him in Egypt, and my daughter had a similar experience in Bali. I'm so glad you brought it to Egypt as well! Thank you for including the small birthday surprise and the cake—I wasn’t expecting that extra touch when presenting it to him, and it made the moment even more special.

The food was pleasant. Although the portions were small, the number of courses fills you up significantly. The dessert, in particular, was very filling but maybe too much so. The salad was the most delicious, with a perfect balance to each ingredient. The ravioli was delicious but needed something extra to enhance the flavor, like another herb, and the steak was juicy and tender. My favorite was definitely the starter salad by Chef Maria. The atmosphere was intimate and romantic, suitable for anniversaries, double dates, and close friends.
Sara A — Google review
The ravioli just needed something acidic to balance it, my steak was cooked to perfection. The dessert was really good but extremely heavy after the first 3 courses. my favorite was the salad -> steak -> ravioli -> dessert. Overall entertaining experience & attentive staff

Amazing experience at the Le Petit Chef. Fancy but not too fancy. All the food tasted wonderful. Every dish was as good as the next. It was truly an exquisite experience. The price was very cheap compared to other countries. We paid 2500 egp pr person. The servers were not the best. Expected more for a four seasons restaurant. The servers would ask if you were done with your food, even tho you had placed your utensils in the finish position, had pushed the plate away and had completely finished your plate. Other times they would take your food while you were still eating. They just left a drinks menu on our table and never came to ask about it. They first asked and awkwardly removed the drinks card after the third course! And they were so bad at placing the utensils and the plates. The plates would be turned sideways or off center or something different between everyone eating every time. Which made it extra confusing for the video. The servers would also place utensils randomly. They do not seem professional nor educated. Worst of all! There was oftenly not enough time to enjoy your food! Me and my friend are fast eaters. But even for us there was barely enough time to finish our dishes. We were rushed and the next video started with people still eating and not ready to continue. The restaurant itself is in the basement of the boat which seems a little weird. No water view or anything. It makes sense for the video since it's a projector but still felt weird. The food itself and the video saved this whole experience. The food was so great. Every single dish. However it did not feel very multi cultual as the 4 different ethinicity tiny chefs were supposed to simulate. For example; The desert being a chocolate mousse did not feel very japanese. The dish was amazing. But not very japanese. There was a lot of children at the restaurant which was loud and ruined the experience a little. The location was perfect. Near the center and close to the nile. Little tough to get to. We took an uber.

From the moment I stepped into this stunning New Cairo restaurant, I felt like I’d been whisked away to a hidden gem 🌠 The décor is breathtaking: plush carpets, dazzling pendant lights, and smooth jazz filling the air. Every detail exudes pure luxury. The team was positively radiant—every request met instantly and always with a smile. The menu? A wonderland of choices, catering to every palate, including some surprising gluten-free treats. My meal arrived as a work of art, beautifully plated with vibrant, fresh ingredients. The flavors were bold yet perfectly balanced—truly next-level! Portions are delightfully hearty without breaking the bank. Sparkling clean surfaces and spotless bathrooms made me feel at ease. Parking was effortless, and the central location couldn’t be better. The rose-infused lemonade and artisanal glassware stole the show. I left totally re-energized and already planning my next visit—this was a first-time experience I’ll never forget! 😍

La Brioche Dorée is a delightful bakery-café that perfectly blends casual elegance with a warm, inviting atmosphere. This charming spot has become a beloved destination for both locals and travelers alike, offering an impressive selection of authentic French pastries, breads, and desserts. Whether you're in the mood for flaky croissants or rich pain au chocolat, La Brioche Dorée has something to satisfy every craving.
I had a wonderful experience at La Brioche Dorée after visiting the Museum. The mango juice was refreshing but what really touched me was the kindness of the team, I had forgotten my phone on the table when leaving, and one waiter came running outside to give it back to me. This small act of honesty and care truly saved my holiday from turning into a disaster (my flight to come back to my country was in few hours, and the museum was closing his doors). I will always be grateful for his gesture. Highly recommended!

Coffee was definitely the worst. Iced latte had so much milk that you can barely taste coffee. Iced Spanish latte was way too sweet and it has too much milk as well. Unfortunately I was on a very busy schedule so I couldn't stop by the cashier again to complain about this. I'm really not sure what was wrong but they need to get it right since they serve a huge number of tourists every day and it's a well known brand. The only thing that's good about this branch is the location and view. prices are good. Staff at the cashier were very quick even though there was along line.

The view is amazing as it overlooks the lake. Space inside is enough for groups of people. Service and food are okay but needs more improvement to be on the same level of the excellent civilization museum that it’s located in it.

View is amazing but service is nothing here. Don't order a coffee here. That's tasteless and cold. Their cakes are good. Important information: restaurant closes at 5pm but takes order toll 4:59 pm. So after getting your cake/ coffee, they'll ask you to leave.

Their catchphrase is Franchement Croustillant - it should be Franchement Mauvais! My sandwich was pre packed and microwaved, the salad was mediocre at best, and the price was ridiculously expensive for Cairo. What a regret, would never recommend a stop here.

We stayed at the Four Season’s Hotel Cairo and couldn’t miss the Char Bar Restaurant. Who doesn’t love a great burger, and Char Bar definitely doest it right. Wow, one of my favorite place to eat in new Cairo. The food, the service the atmosphere is amazing and so calming. Strongly recommended.

I just came for some coffee, and it was good. The service was excellent. I think having some background music would make a big difference because the vibe feels a bit flat without it. It’s great that they label vegan and vegetarian options, but the vegan choices are very limited. I went through the whole menu but couldn’t find any vegan options for breakfast.

I have experienced their good food earlier too. I recommend them always. But today it's a major disappointment. We were served with a rotten, foaming, bad smelling red lentil soup. Sometimes it happens with kitchen we understand, but not sure how multiple hands and eyes from chef to waiter missed the smell and foam! 😟Some more carefulness is expected. Thank you.

The taste of food is good. The service of the staff is good. However, the inside of the restaurant is not very large and the ceiling is made of glass, so it can be a bit hot due to sunlight. Also, there is only one outlet, so it is inconvenient to use electricity.

Saraya Gallery is a restaurant located within the Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino. It offers a unique dining experience with a series of themed rooms, each representing different cuisines. The elegant and grand decor adds to the ambiance. While it opens at 12:00 pm, making it unsuitable for those seeking an early breakfast, it offers French breakfast options. Guests have praised the excellent service provided by staff members Mahmoud Farak and Mohamed A.
I had an early dinner in lieu of lunch. There are three menus available here, French, Italian and Steak. I had the Duck Trio from the French menu and Linguini con Gamberi from the Italian menu. A lot of food in which I took extended pleasure in consuming. I would recommend both. The bread basket was just barely OK, the butter was rich. A gorgeous place in an old palace.
F. A — Google review
its more about the atmosphere than the food. the place feels like an ottoman palace. we didn’t try the food, but the options looked very limited. The desserts were all pistachio based for some reason. We had mouse trio and the mille-feuitte and they were fine, but not especially good. the service wasn’t very good - we had to get up and ask the servers to order and to pay, but that might have been because we were only having dessert and not a main course. i wouldn’t return, but would recommend stopping by for a drink for the atmosphere.

Yen B — Google review
I'm frankly disappointed with the quality of the food and the service gaps we've had to deal with. I visited the restaurant to arrange for a celebration dinner for a special event a little after midday and met with a waitress (whose name I'll skip out since she can't be held accountable) and the manager (who is the person I seriously question here). After making arrangements for the time, date, the menu of choice, the number of guests and leaving, I recieved a call later that day (7 pm) that the menues I had taken a look at are oudated and I should either consider the à-la-carte menu or a set menu from other restaurants. It's a tiny bit questionable that the management had no clue that the menues were outdated & even more suspicious that they said the new menues had not come in; almost forcing me into a-la-carte options for this. Then comes the actual dinner; we've ordered a few classical dishes from the french cuisine and I was yet again disappointed. The classic onion soup in which the cheese is the KEY had an extremely heavy cheese layer; one that neither melted nor easily disintegerated/grated within the hot soup. If you fail to choose the proper key ingredient of such a traditional dish, please do not associate with the French cuisine. Then came the mains, we had the duck and the chicken dishes. One of the duck dishes arrived undercooked and we had to send it back. The grilled chicken was really dry, and undermarinated to put it mildly. The only positives were the service and the atmosphere. The waiters were professional, well-trained and prompt to attend to our requests. The gallery is an admirable sight and the music set the mood right. It's a shame that the cuisine was so disappointing and still doesn't sit right with me that the management is clueless about updates; making this look more like a scam than anything.

Paul Cairo festival city offers a wonderful atmosphere and delicious desserts, although the service can be slow due to understaffing. The breakfast menu may need some improvements, but the food is consistently good and the staff are friendly. The outdoor seating provides a nice space with a great view, making it a recommended spot for a change of scenery.
Paul at CFC offers a delightful lunch experience with a lovely view of the musical fountain, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The creamy mushroom soup and salmon platter were standout dishes, full of flavor and expertly prepared. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. We visited during evening time. The air conditioning was not really noticeable with the door kept open for smoke management (smell). The only area with proper AC was the smoking area. The out doors area is packed with no spacing between tables and smokers are dominating, generating a stuffy atmosphere. The furniture is nasty old with grime buildup.

I usually visit for onion soup and it was my first time actually having lunch there. Onion soup was amazing as usual but grilled beef tenderloin and linguine bolognese (both were today’s recommendation) were just bad. Beef was tough as tire and linguine was undercooked 😞 I would visit again for coffee, dessert, and onion soup but i dont think I’ll ever think of trying other lunch/dinner dishes

When I think of the Paul Bakery brand, i think of delicious food and a nice atmosphere. However the overall experience at this Paul left much to be desired. It has gone downhill since our last visit. The cleanliness was a major issue—our table was dirty when we sat down, and as I observed the staff, I noticed that tables were not cleaned after diners left. Plates and silverware were removed, but no effort was made to wipe down the surfaces. Service Staff are not well trained. Getting the attention of the waitress was a challenge. When she finally came over, she pointed to a QR code for the menu. Our phones wouldn’t open the PDF, and we had to ask for an alternative. She eventually brought us an iPad to view the menu, but even after making our selections, it took a long time to get her attention again to place our order. Service throughout the meal was inconsistent. After we ordered, a different waitress came by and asked if we wanted bread. The bread was brought shortly afterwards, but oddly, yet another waiter arrived about 10 minutes later with small bread plates, which seemed unnecessary at that point. The food itself was okay—not remarkable, but not bad. However, the random cigarette smoke detracted from the overall experience. As we got further into our meals, the smell of cigarettes became overwhelming. The whole dining area is a smoking area. When we arrived, no one was smoking but as time passed, the lighting of cigarettes became more intense. The bathrooms added to the overall mediocrity. They are located outside in an adjacent building and require a code for access, which is inconvenient. While the facilities weren’t filthy, they weren’t particularly clean or well-maintained either. The bakery section looked appealing, but we buy anything to try. No recommendations for this location.

I love Paul and its products and its service I anywhere around the world. Alkurba - Cairo is so bad . The service is horrible, the cleanliness is so bad , rest room are so dirty, no proper customers welcoming, no manager around , chefs looks sloppy, no one is smiling, . The worst Paul ever . The food was good as usual, goat salad dressing was very nice . Mashed potatoes was very nice , bread is amazing. I will never come back to this location.

I went to Paul at Heliopolis for breakfast, they have no physical menu and I didn't have net, they have no wifi but they brought their tablet, prepared themselves for such situation, the lady who served me was grumpy 🫤 not sure why, I ordered plain omelette, there were black things on it ( guess it's burnt things from previous orders), didn't expect that in Paul, I liked the bread, the croissant was a bit cold like it was in the fridge, portions were small per the meal price, I also didn't like going out to the street and get in a door close by leading to upstairs restroom with a keypad, unfortunately it wasn't a pleasant experience, the place is Big and quiet.

Paul Downtown is a popular spot with friendly staff and a great vibe. The breakfast menu offers delicious options like the croissalmon avocado, while the desserts, such as the chocolate fudge brownie with vanilla ice cream, are perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth. The high-quality products and services include fresh bread, olive oil, and olive paste. Special orders like steak are also available and well-prepared. The restaurant provides healthy and tasty options for guilt-free dining in Cairo's Downtown area.
We absolutely loved our experience at Paul in the Open Air Mall. From the moment we walked in, the cozy yet elegant French-inspired ambiance set the perfect mood for a relaxed meal. The menu had a great variety of options beyond the typical dishes you’d expect, which made our choices even more exciting. We ended up ordering the steak breakfast, which was rich and deeply flavorful, the omelette was so delicate and fluffy. Some dishes did feel a bit on the pricey side for the portion size, but the quality and taste made up for it. The ingredients felt fresh, and everything was well-prepared with attention to detail. The service was also warm and attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for an authentic French café-style meal with fresh pastries and a lovely atmosphere, Paul is definitely worth a visit!

Paul Downtown Egypt boasts a sophisticated ambiance, with a black and white exterior that gives way to a rustic-chic interior. Polished wooden tables and chairs, neutral colors, and a black and white chequered floor transport you to a quaint Parisian cafe. Food menu offers a vast array of delicious dishes, including French classics like onion soup served in a cut-out brown loaf, roasted almond chicken breast filled with camembert cheese, and a cheesy curried pasta dish. While prices may be slightly high, the portions are generous, and the food is expertly prepared. The waiting staff are pleasant, polite, courteous and ensuring a smooth dining experience. With its upscale ambiance, delicious food, and excellent service, Paul Downtown Egypt is a great choice for a night out or morning breakfast. While some reviews have been mixed, the consensus is that Paul is a reliable option for French-inspired cuisine in Cairo.

Food was horrible!! Not fresh, Not matching with menu pictures, waiters tried to convince me that everything is OK instead of apologizing for the poor quality they served. Burrata cheese was horrible!! I expect if I will pay 1250 EGP in a steak dish to get good quality, take the money you asked for and give me the good quality I expect, a very simple formula
