Restaurant
Gostilnica Dukat is a charming restaurant in North Macedonia that offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, reminiscent of a family gathering. The menu features an array of traditional Macedonian dishes, including the famous riblja corba cooked on a wood-burning stove. Guests can also enjoy homemade bread and makalo, a potent garlic sauce. The rustic ambience is enhanced by live local music and friendly staff, making diners feel right at home.
One of the best restaurants in Skopje. It is in a great location and it is easy to find this restaurant. The food here is excellent. Their salmon fish stew is delicious and it is the brand of the restaurant. Maybe the prices are higher than other restaurants, but it's worth it. The service and atmosphere are also excellent. There is a paid parking lot in front of the restaurant that costs 30 MKD for 1 hour. The salmon fish stew costs 220 MKD.

The restaurant is worth a walk from the city center, we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I am still giving five stars, also my return money was wrong (honest mistake, not on purpose), but still it felt weired.
M. ( — Google review
The food and service were top notch. The salad, mushrooms, beans, and pork ribs were awesome. Definitely would recommend. This is our second time around with this restaurant and it did not disappoint.
Steve C — Google review
One half of the restaurant is for smokers, the other is not, but if you are a non smoker you still smell it. The food was really good and affordable. The only thing, their service is really slow. There where a lot of waiters but it took them 15min to give us the Menue and we waited another 20min to pay.
Amelie P — Google review
We ate very well-cooked, tasty meats. The appetizers were generally a bit spicy and garlicky. If you want Turkish raki, you have to order it as “Yeni.” I recommend you try the Macedonian cheese that is similar to old kashar. Fried zucchini sticks are also quite delicious.
Yasemin T — Google review
High end restaurant. I had my wedding reception here many years ago and it looks like it has been renovated a lot since then to a more modern but still traditional style. I was invited to try out the Chorba here, a traditional stew of either chicken, meat or fish. Meat was my choice, served from a single portion traditional pot (actually more than one portion) served with fresh rolls and home made condiments and pickled chillies. The Chorba was excellent and the staff were pleasant and attentive. Definitely come here again.

Zucchini was great but meats are average local beer is also delicious 😋

We were just in Skopje for one night and was pleasantly surprised. Good food, good atmosphere, good music and super friendly staff. They even called me a Taxi and made sure we went into the right taxi before saying goodbye. Fantastic value for money.

Restaurant Skopski Merak is a renowned establishment in the heart of Skopje, offering an authentic experience of traditional Macedonian cuisine. The cozy interior provides the perfect ambiance to savor local delicacies, ranging from flavorful appetizers and famous Macedonian salads to slow-roasted ribs and pastrmajlija, a popular pizza-style dish cooked in a wood-fired oven.
Fantastic food and fantastic service from our server Phillip. The food was great, we had Caesar Salad, a casserole in a bread bowl and a great bottle of red wine which was recommended to us. Really well priced, they always say eat where the locals eat.....and this was the place. Absolutely unreal. Thank you

An absolute gem in Skopje. Reservations are strongly recommended. We had some great local dishes and some of the local liquor too. The staff are amazing and we loved every moment of our visit.

Oh man, the food at this place is absolutely incredible. They have an amazing selection of dishes including traditional food. There are so many dishes that are must to try such as the grilled meats and in particularly the Pastrmajlija!! You must visit this place! 🤤

We had an absolutely delightful experience at this gem of a restaurant in Skopje! The food was nothing short of spectacular and also the service was equally impressive. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making our dining experience memorable. The ambiance was cozy yet vibrant, perfectly complementing the lively spirit of Skopje. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious food and top-notch service. Highly recommended!

Amazing traditional food. Very good service, super fast and professional. The food is extraordinary, from the meat to the salads and starters. Definitely take one of tehe traditional dishes - the meat is really tender and well cooked, no bones or pieces of fat. Great atmosphere with live music - not loud at all and very entertaining.
Paola B — Google review
We had a really nice time. The food was great, the service perfect and supportive. We asked for gluten free food and ate very good, without any gut problem.
Luzela L — Google review
Food was delicious. I loved the hot arabic bread and the trio mix from the starters. Everything was tasty. The lamb pot was a little too oily and fat but still tasty.

Restaurant „Old House“ is a renowned dining spot in Skopje, housed in a beautiful traditional 19th-century building. The interior exudes old-world charm with Macedonian folklore items adorning the walls and traditional music creating an authentic ambiance. Known for its impeccable service, the restaurant offers a menu featuring a variety of local specialties from authentic Macedonian cuisine.
Don't miss this spot when in Skopje. Best food I've had in the Balkans in 4 weeks. Superb. Zucchini chips, stuffed vine leaves, casserole all excellent. Tucked away but central. Peaceful big classy traditional restaurant. Id go back in a flash. Reasonably priced for quality.
Stefan P — Google review
What an incredible experience! The melted cheese is to die for and pastrmajlija was delicious! The whole interior of the place is peaceful, with inside fountain, traditional Macedonian clothing displayed and the traditional music was very pleasant to listen to. The staff are very warm, welcoming but also incredibly professional and attentive. The toilets are clean and well maintained. J cannot recommend this place enough!
Alo I — Google review
They had some really good food at reasonable prices. Service was fast and very good. There was a physical menu, but they also had a QR code on the table where when scanned, you can see the dishes in photos with slightly more information than the physical menu. Wi-fi was available as well. Ambience was also pretty good with lots of natural light coming in from the roof which had some parts that let sunlight in and from the terrace which had glass doors if they needed to be closed. However, do note that because there are a lot of smokers and ventilation isn’t so good, it may be a bit uncomfortable for some non-smokers.
ARBN — Google review
Firstly thank you for finding us a table with no reservation. This restaurant is fantastic, the food and drink is amazing, the house wine was fantastic. Would definitely return. Had the tuna salad and a chicken caesar along with the Pork Pastrmajlija! Fantastic! Would definitely return regularly if I was local.
Brian D — Google review
Absolutely delicious food, worth every cent! Only 7’ walk away from Holiday Inn (where I’m currently staying) I went for early lunch, based on the very positive reviews. I chose the baked beans and veal casserole with okra and other veggies, this latter was just so nice! Portions are quite big and filling. Total ‘damage’ with a big bottle of sparkling water and an espresso MKD 1,080. Nice ambience (although be ready to have some neighbours smoking, but apparently it’s perfectly allowed in N. MKD) super friendly and professional service by all the waiters. Cards accepted, 100% recommended!
Stefano G — Google review
The best restaurant for me in Skopje. The price might be a little more than other areas, but it was great food and drinks while I was there for lunch. I had the Macedonian salad, which was fresh and crispy. The garlic bread was really nice with great flavors( i live in Korea and it is sweet here 🫣). The main dish was the casserole and the meat was cooked perfectly and had a really nice rich taste. My server played my food for me.and took care of me. However I did end up waiting a long time, and they apologized and said they forget me. So they gave me a dessert on the house so I got the homemade apple strudel with icecream. It was really nice and I wasn't in a rush so everything was ok. The weather was hot, like 36c, so i was happy to have a beer and rest inside. The inside is very traditional in style and lovely place to eat. They have a breakfast menu until 1pm! And the place was pretty busy. I would come back here again! Just remember smoking is allowed inside, so if thats not good for you, eat outside or in the area with the open doors.
Frazer T — Google review
It is authentic and hidden gem restaurant in Skopje which provides Macedonian and Mediterranean cuisine. The prices are a little bit high, but worth it to see ambiance and service. I tried famous old pot as the server suggests. It was great and salty. I couldn’t finish by one person. And they recommended rakija which is Macedonian alcoholic drink.

Good food in comfortable surrounds. Efficient service. A little more expensive than other ethno restaurants but worth the overall experience.

Restaurant
Soul Kitchen - Macedonian Wine & Cuisine is a must-visit spot in Skopje's Old Bazaar, offering an authentic taste of traditional Macedonian dishes. Located on the southern fringes of the bazaar, this chic restaurant provides a warm and inviting atmosphere with a diverse menu that includes classic Eastern European dishes and international cuisine. Whether you're craving kebabs, tavce gravce, gevrek, or burek, Soul Kitchen has it all.
One of the best dining experiences in Skopje! Soul Kitchen offers a perfect mix of traditional Macedonian flavors and modern cuisine. The riverside setting is beautiful and the interior is warm and stylish. We had the homemade bread with kajmak, grilled halloumi skewers, and Macedonian wine—all absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, and the wine selection is fantastic. Highly recommended if you’re looking for great local food in a relaxed but refined atmosphere!
Avinash N — Google review
Where Soul Kitchen shines is its atmosphere. It’s along the water in downtown with outdoor seating and a spacious indoor dining room that’s beautifully decorated. The food itself is average, but they have lots of variety to pick from. Reading the thick menu alone takes awhile. There are burgers, local dishes, dessert, so many options. I opted for the Mother Teresa, which was like chicken Kiev. The creamy sauce made the dish. Service is a little slow, but that’s not atypical.
Austin G — Google review
Great atmosphere. Spacious place. Tasty food. Tourist friendly. Really nothing to add here. Only thing to be aware of is - smoking area and non-smoking area are not that separated and you can very much smell cigarette smoke in non-smoking area. If that doesn’t bother you as much - it’s a perfect place to have dinner. Prices are also good.
Vladislavs N — Google review
A very nice restaurant, Eddy who was our server was super friendly and kind. The food was fine and the prices were good. The ambiance was amazing. Overall, İ recommend this place.
Noha A — Google review
Absolutely delicious the cloud pillows with cream cheese were delicious! The fish was fresh and seasoned perfectly, we went twice in a matter of a weekend stay! Highly recommended and they speak English which is always a plus!
Mayra A — Google review
The staff were very attentive, thank you so much. However, the kitchen staff clearly don’t know how to cook. I’ve never seen such a terrible lasagna in my life — how can anyone even serve that to a customer? The muscle meat was a complete disaster as well; it was so salty that it was impossible to eat. Unfortunately, this was my worst experience in Skopje. Many thanks to the waiters for offering a replacement — they were very helpful.
Furkan Ö — Google review
Struggling not to give this 5 stars, but having eaten at DropStop the night before this just loses out on value for money. The food was excellent, service was great, but the price just seems a little more than I felt we should be paying. That said the Beef stew was amazing.... instead of having little dumplings in it, the stew was served inside a giant dumpling. Meat was so tender and delicious. My wife had the beef medallion (I thought it was delicious too, but she felt a similar meal in Prishtina had the edge on this one). We chose a Vranac wine to accompany The meal and it was delicious, but again slightly more expensive than a similar Kosovan wine. Decor of the restaurant and ambience were top quality and I suppose this and the location drives the premium price. Thanks especially to our waitress who deserves 5 stars for her attentive service and excellent advice. We look forward to trying out your recommendations at our next stop.
Idris E — Google review
I honestly don't get the fuzz about why this is so well reviewed. I went here with my girlfriend and her food was served cold. First she asked if she could get regular potatoes instead of fries for her meal, which shouldn't be a big deal. Waiter said no. Happens. However, when she received her food it was really cold, as if it was staying in the kitchen for a long time already. My suspicion is that they prepared it before and for some reason it wasn't served. Now they wanted to get rid of it which is why they wouldn't change the fries to regular potatoes... My food was okay but nothing special (Macedonian sausage). Waiter didn't care at all. I told him the food he served was cold and I even was nice about it, not demanding anything. He just said "Okay". Horrible service, how is this "one of the best restaurants in Skopje"? Shame

Rakija Bar Kaldrma, located in the Old Bazaar, is a charming spot offering over 30 varieties of rakija. This traditional Macedonian brandy is believed to have medicinal properties and is highly regarded as part of the local culture. The bar also serves traditional shopska salad, a perfect accompaniment to the strong spirit.
I was in skopje and I wanted to try rakija. I was told this is the place to check out. The location is perfect, at the old Bazar. The place is small but lovely, and they have a huge variety of rakija, over 50 flavors. It was so good I came back the second night. The staff were nice and friendly. The prices were great for the value. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a nice rakija in town.
YAFEA A — Google review
Favourite bar in Skopje. First visited it in 2018 and had photo with waitress and owner. Went back there again in March 2025. Love the atmosphere of the place. Brought a lot of friends with me this time. Best bar in Skopje!

Great little bar. CASH ONLY has a range of rajika served ice cold from 100mkd- 900 I recommend the cherry for beginners 🤣
John G — Google review
Service was so friendly in the first night I was there. There was a live musician who was absolutely incredible. He played all his hits from the 60s to the 2000s and also last night which was just a Monday night. They had an amazing karaoke night so most people come in around 10 PM on off days but on the weekend I can get quite full.
Zo P — Google review
My favourite bar in the old town, a huge selection of Rakija's that you'd be hard pushed to find elsewhere. Their home made Kaldrma Rakija tastes amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff, chilled atmosphere no matter what the season. I would recommend having a drink or ten here!
Tas — Google review
Fantastic place with great atmosphere, amazing selection of rakija, and super friendly staff. The live music makes the experience even better — the perfect spot to enjoy authentic Balkan flavors and vibes. Highly recommend!
Leona K — Google review
Great bar with reasonable prices , I tried a honey rakija and my girlfriend a sour cherry. They were declicous and the service was great. Recommend if you are in the bazaar !
Kyle — Google review
Been here the second day and i love it. Iam working here so i cannot stay late. There might be an update on the weekend. The waitress are perfect, looking for you and missing nothing. Food ( Finger food is perfect) , the best are the Salads. Draft beer , bottled beer , what Else you want more. Its old Bazar area , so no cards are accepted. That is also in my hotel. It would be nice to make big signs with " only cash money". As i promised , a update after the weekend Session. Perfect. Add this bar on your "bucket list " " to do list " . Saturday to sunday. Unforgetable.

Restaurant „Debar Maalo“ is a popular spot in Skopje, offering a taste of authentic Macedonian cuisine and culture. The restaurant is located in the bohemian district of Debar Maalo, known for its vibrant atmosphere and live Balkan music. Visitors can enjoy well-cooked Macedonian food with fresh ingredients and excellent service. The menu features traditional dishes such as slow-cooked meat and fresh salads.
Great service, Great food which was served with a smile. Our waiter was superb, I think he may have been a supervisor as he was in a black shirt. The spit roast Lamb melted in your mouth. A local place to eat which lives up to expectations, get there early to get a seat.
A M — Google review
We came here on a rainy day during prom season at 1pm. Whole restaurant empty with only one table occupied. We come in and I see the owner in his natural habitat on one of the tables closely observing everything. We ask for a table and the server says they have a prom celebration at 8pm. We politely say we are not trying to spend 7 hours at the restaurant. The owner says they can give us a table. So we got sat right next to the other table, cramped into a small area where the servers had barely room to move. Food was great but our server forgot multiple items and drinks, then my mom found hair in two of her dishes, so save to say their quality was not on an acceptable level. The server was very apologetic. Then as we are seating there, we noticed their roof is leaking into our food. Absolutely unacceptable. We told the server and he said there is nothing he can do. We just did not get a positive experience at all.
Aleks R — Google review
Had a lovely dinner here!! The service was great just like the atmosphere. I personally loved the pork suflaki. My boyfriend had the chicken suflaki which was a little dry in my opinion. The tsatsiki was also great, but lacked a little bit of garlic for my liking. The live music was so fun and our waiter was a great guy! The food came out pretty fast and the prices were great. I would recommend checking out this place!
Noor R — Google review
Solid 4 stars! I went in with no reservations and no expectations and the food was great, the service was speedy, atmosphere also good. No complaints from me, its worth a try if the other restaurants are full.
John C — Google review
If one excludes the wonderful musicians who play and sing, everything else, the food and service are at very mediocre levels. Its location is very good, but it is a vast thing that does not create the warmth and atmosphere you want in such a store. The waiter who had taken care of us was willing and polite, however, from what we saw, the rest of the staff did not pay any attention to you. I would recommend it only for its music
Βασίλης Κ — Google review
The food is far below Balkan standards and expectations, especially when it comes to portion size. Almost every dish felt over-torched, and the servings were extremely small. To make things worse, there was no bread provided — without any notice. When comparing the overall quality to the prices, the balance is highly unfevorable.
Mladen — Google review
Cannot recommend. We were welcomed in a friendly and cheerful manner. Drink order were taken very quickly. Then, the waiting began. The drinks took a very long time. Instead of draught beer, we only got bottled beer after a long wait time. The wait time for the food was enormous, and the food itself was cold when it finally arrived. Additionally, two of our orders were missing.
Reginald S — Google review
The food here is excellent, especially the pork ribs and baked beans. The atmosphere is nice, with live traditional music to accompany your meal. It's worth a visit if you're in Skopje.

Record Burek restaurant is renowned for serving the best burek, a traditional Balkan pastry filled with options like meat, cheese, and spinach. Considered by many as the best pastry in the world, this popular breakfast item is a must-try at Record Burek.
Excellent, tasty burek! It was one of the best I've had in the past week! I went for the spinach and cheese. Staff were super friendly, too, and it was inexpensive. Definitely 10 out of 10!

You should visit and try one of the best burek shop. The owner is so friendly and helpful. Also, Burek is fantastic with yogurt. In addition, this place is not touristic. Generally, locals are coming and it is a mini burek shop in downtown Skopje.

What a find! Excellent breakfast (we had spinich and cheese bureks and an Ayran) served by a friendly Auntie. Enough English was spoken for us to understand what options were avaliable and to establish that we'd sit inside to eat. The food was fresh and tasty and the portion size was huge. The meal for 2 people including a drink was only 200 MKD (so about about £2.70) - a real bargin! 👍

The Old Bazaar in Skopje is a lively and colorful area, showcasing the Ottoman architectural style with its mosques, markets, shops, and cafes. Visitors can immerse themselves in the city's culture by exploring museums like The National Archeology & Ethnology Museum and The Museum of Modern & Contemporary Art. Walking along the Kaldrma roads, also known as Sampietrini to foreigners, offers a glimpse into traditional Skopje with antique shops and quaint cafes.
The Old Bazaar in Skopje is a must-see destination filled with history, vibrant culture, and lively atmosphere. Wandering through the cobbled streets and maze-like alleys, you’ll discover everything from traditional shops and galleries to cozy coffee houses and excellent restaurants. The architecture blends Ottoman and Byzantine styles, with highlights like the Mustafa Pasha Mosque and historic inns, fully immersing visitors in centuries of heritage. Shopping here is a real experience—local vendors offer handmade crafts, antiques, and souvenirs at very reasonable prices. As you explore, the scent of grilled kebabs, fresh bread, and Turkish coffee fills the air. The area is also known for its friendly service and rich blend of Macedonian and Albanian cultures. The bazaar is not just about commerce; it’s a center for cultural events, nightlife, and people-watching. Whether you visit early in the morning for a quiet stroll or at sunset to see the stone streets glowing under golden lights, you’ll be captivated by the energy and charm of this part of Skopje. It’s well worth dedicating 2-3hours to truly soak it all in.
Hynek — Google review
The Old Bazaar in Skopje Old Town is a place that could be a charming dive into the city’s Ottoman past, but it ends up being an overwhelming and uncomfortable experience. The architecture is undeniably interesting, with its narrow cobblestone streets, old stone buildings, and remnants of a bygone era that give it a certain historical allure. The preserved shops, caravanserais, and traditional facades offer a glimpse into Skopje’s past, and for history buffs, this could be a highlight. However, the atmosphere is marred by issues that make it hard to enjoy. The area is overcrowded with gypsies, some of whom engage in persistent begging that feels intrusive and, at times, intimidating. This detracts significantly from the experience, turning a leisurely walk into a stressful navigation through constant solicitations. Additionally, the strong presence of Muslim culture, including frequent calls to prayer echoing from what feels like countless mosques, can be jarring for visitors not accustomed to it. While this is part of the area’s cultural fabric, the sheer volume and intensity can feel overwhelming, especially when combined with the chaotic crowds. The bazaar’s authenticity is a double-edged sword—it’s vibrant and bustling, but the lack of order and the aggressive street interactions make it feel less like a cultural gem and more like a disorganized mess. The absence of visible efforts to manage the crowds or maintain a welcoming environment for tourists only adds to the frustration. For every moment of architectural charm, there’s an equal dose of discomfort that makes the visit feel like a chore. In short, the Old Bazaar has the potential to be a fascinating stop in Skopje, but the intrusive begging and relentless noise from nearby mosques make it far less appealing. It’s a shame, as the historical elements deserve better presentation.

The Old Bazaar in Skopje was an unforgettable experience that truly captured the charm and spirit of the city. Walking through its narrow cobbled streets, I felt surrounded by history, with Ottoman-era architecture, old inns, and beautiful mosques creating a unique and timeless atmosphere. The blend of cultures and traditions gave the place a vibrant and authentic character. I loved browsing the small shops filled with traditional crafts, jewelry, and souvenirs, and the aroma of local food and coffee made the visit even more delightful. The lively yet welcoming atmosphere made it easy to spend hours exploring. The Old Bazaar was a perfect mix of history, culture, and everyday life—a highlight of my trip to Skopje.

historic marketplace that has been a hub of trade and culture since the Ottoman period. Lined with mosques, hammams, and artisan shops, it blends Eastern and Western influences, offering a vibrant glimpse into the city’s multicultural past and living traditions. Enjoy walking and around but be aware - on Sunday only few shops and restaurants are open, most of the shops are closed.
Matej S — Google review
Visiting this place is like taking a trip back in time. It is one of the largest and oldest bazaars in the Balkans, dating back to the 12th century. The narrow cobblestone streets are filled with Ottoman-era architecture. The atmosphere is vibrant, full of craft shops, jewelers, cafes and restaurants. I found it great for a stroll, buying simple souvenirs and soaking up a genuine atmosphere.

A very interesting place, calm and vibrant in the same time. Worth to give it some time, both during daytime and in the evening, not only for shopping or having a beer or a coffee, but for a slow walk, to enjoy its history and spirit.

Charming bazar with great food, but watch the weather Visited on 26 October 2025 and spent about 2 hours exploring and trying food. The Old Bazar is a cute, small, historic area full of character, with lots of different things to try — perfect for wandering, taking in the architecture, and sampling local treats. We especially enjoyed some lokma at Lokmades Skopje, which was absolutely delicious! It was a bit rainy during our visit, and some roads had standing water due to poor drainage, so I’d suggest visiting on sunny days for a more comfortable experience. Overall, a must-visit spot for those wanting a taste of traditional Skopje and local flavors. ✅ Recommended.

Lovely area with an oriental charm and cozy cobbled streets. The atmosphere is warm and picturesque, especially in the evening with all the lights. It does feel quite touristy, though, and not exactly a must-see. Still, worth a short visit if you’re nearby.

Pelister, Macedonia's oldest national park established in 1938, is a haven for diverse flora and fauna. The park is home to the unique five-leafed Molika pine, Pelagonian trout, wild boars, wolves, deer, and eagles. Visitors can explore breathtaking hiking trails and marvel at the two glacial lakes known as the Eyes of Pelister. In Skopje's bustling Macedonia Square sits an iconic cafe and restaurant called Pelister.
Pelister is simply outstanding! The food was incredibly delicious — full of flavor, fresh, and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. Every dish we tried was a hit, and the presentation was just as impressive as the taste. What really stood out was the short waiting time. In a world where many places keep you waiting far too long, Pelister delivers quickly without compromising quality. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Honestly, I’ve seen a few negative reviews out there, and I have to say — some of them are just ridiculous and not at all reflective of the experience we had. It’s almost like some people are determined to complain no matter what. Don’t let those misleading opinions influence your decision. Go and experience it for yourself — you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back!

Very basic food, very dry and with no taste. We had pasta with seafood and turkey steak, both was dry, unseasoned and tasted very basic. Salad was good. I guess you are paying the name, not quality of food.

The location of the restaurant is brilliant overlooking ‘Alexander the Great’ statue & Macedonia Square. The staff were lovely as was my green tea with mint. My duck meal was a little disappointing as it was very dry and the avocado came as a paste. The vegetables were so tiny and mixed in with the rice.

We didn't stay at the hotel but really enjoyed the restaurant. We had a lovely dinner outside on a rainy evening. Service was a little slow at first but picked up speed once we ordered. We had to get two plates of the mushroom lemon ravioli because everyone loved it so much! The portions were great and plentiful. The lasagna was also delicious as well as the focaccia. The only slight disappointment was the pizza. It just didn't live up to the other dishes! We wanted to try to the desserts but service was slow again and we couldn't wait.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. When we first arrived, the waiter refused to let us sit, which was extremely rude and unprofessional. No one should ever be treated like that—you can’t judge or classify customers based on appearance or personal bias. Thankfully, a woman who works there insisted and helped us get a table. Without her, we probably would have walked away. But unfortunately, things didn’t get better. The same waiter continued to treat us with clear disrespect, serving us in a completely careless and almost hostile way. His behavior was unacceptable and left us feeling very unwelcome. Restaurants should treat every guest with equal respect. Sadly, that was not the case here. I do not recommend this place to anyone who expects even the most basic level of customer service.

Destan is a long-standing restaurant located in the heart of the Old Bazaar in Skopje, offering traditional Macedonian culinary delights. The interior provides a stylish dining experience, while the terrace allows for al fresco dining when the weather permits. The menu is simple, featuring a traditional type of kebab served with hot bread, grilled peppers, and raw onions as well as a variety of salads and local baked beans. Cevapi is a local favorite here and is served in various forms.
In the old bazaar a few minutes from Macedonia square is this gem of a Turkish kabob place. We ordered the traditional salad, some chicken, and a plate of beef kabobs. The food is delicious. Along with their fresh bread, the jalapeños, and the cheese made the food amazing. Sitting in the old bazaar under the blue sky, listening to buskers play drums, was a surreal feeling. Overall, a great experience. I’d order more when I go next time.

It seemed small from the outside but actually it is pretty specious from the inside. I think they have at least two levels if not three. It was very busy when we went there on a week day in the middle of the day. We waited a long time for someone to come and take our order. A table that came after us, got greeted before us. There is no order, they will come to you when they come to you. It was also hard to get our server’s attention to order more food. The kebapi were pretty decent but the kajmak was not good at all. They will pack your leftovers though. All the condiments come in prepackaged bags and they do charge for them which is pretty weird. It is loud in there so definitely not a place to come and relax. Our food was prepared fast but that is most likely because they work the grill all the time. It is a barbecue place after all.

The food itself was tasty but the portions were quite small for the price. I think there are many places that offer much more value for money. The salad was pretty small. The waiter was polite and patient. The place doesn’t offer alcohol. Overall very mid experience when uou keep in mind that is maybe the most famous place in town.

We ordered two portions of kuru fasulye (bean stew) — one was fantastic, the other not so much. Köfte was good; we shared two plates of 10. The kaşarlı köfte was less tasty than the plain one but still worth trying. The yogurt was delicious. They serve very spicy peppers on the side — too hot for us to eat. No alcohol. Credit cards accepted.

Amigos Mexican Restaurant & Bar in Skopje offers a vibrant and authentic Mexican dining experience. The colorful interior, adorned with murals and artifacts, sets the stage for a fun and flavorful meal. Despite its location in North Macedonia, Amigos delivers an array of authentic Mexican dishes such as tacos, burritos, and fajitas accompanied by zesty salsas and refreshing cocktails.

Pretty good menu with good dishes, this time the toast goes for the Cobb salad 🥗 which was very delicious. Mango juice lemonade was also a hit. Visit them in the center of Skopje in one of their first locations and enjoy Tex Mex food and bites.

Great Mexican food in the centre of Skopje! We enjoyed our last night here. We shared the fajitas with beef, which were amazing and definitely more than enough for 2! We also had some red wine, which was great too. The waiter that served us was the nicest guy. My boyfriend asked for some lemon for on his fajitas, and he brought us a huge whole lemon, cut in 4. We also had the guacamole which was super good as well. Definitely recommend going here if you’re looking for Mexican cuisine in Skopje.

One of the best restaurants we tried in Skopje. Simple but amazing Mexican food, very fast service, great friendly staff!! And food super delicious. Loved it!!!
Matej S — Google review
Amigos in the Center is a small place with limited space, but unfortunately, that’s one of the few things going for it. We ordered the Nachos Enchiladas—beef and chicken—but they tasted nothing like authentic Mexican food. Both were severely lacking in flavor and definitely overpriced for what we got, rating about 1.5 out of 5 each. The chocolate frita was also disappointing; it looked nothing like the photo in their advertisement and was extremely hard and overly sugary. The churros didn’t impress either. The service was another low point. We waited 50 minutes for the nachos, and when my girlfriend politely asked the waitress about the delay, she responded with a rude, irritating attitude, saying “I will tell you now where it is” in a very unpleasant tone. Despite the small size of the restaurant, when we tried to order a second round of drinks, no one was available to take our order, and we ended up waiting about 15 minutes just to pay. Throughout the meal, the waitress was consistently unprofessional, slamming food down on the table and being generally disrespectful. Given the price and quality, the experience was more than disappointing—especially having to wait so long and deal with impolite staff.

Love this Mexican restaurant! Really good food, nice staff and a great spot! Also the prices were nice. We ate the nacho’s, they were perfect. This is how nachos should be. And we had the nacho enchiladas with grilled veggies. Good taste, lot of chicken and cheese🤩. We would like to take this place at home😁.

I would come back if I wasn't going to Ohrid tomorrow. Would highly recommend!

Nestled in the heart of Skopje, Vodenica Mulino is a hidden gem known for its delicious Macedonian cuisine and romantic ambiance. The restaurant's charming setting by the Vardar River provides a delightful backdrop for a memorable dining experience. With an elegant vintage interior and a charming garden with a small pond and beautiful bridge, this restaurant offers one of the most romantic dining atmospheres in Skopje.
Amazing Italian food in Skopje, that's the way I would describe my meal at Vodenica Mulino. The place itself has a beautiful interior, the staff is nice and they have a big wine collection to choose from. I had the seafood pasta tagliatelle and I would recommend it to anyone. It was very rich, well seasoned and came with a good portion size. The mixed cheese platter was very good aswell. Overall had a wonderful experience and would love to come back

I think they did a good job making Italian food. If you never had any Italian food then you will be satisfied. Their lava cake was delicious. They had good service. The atmosphere is great, but I wish they had a separate section for smoking. I had to move because the guy behind me was smoking cigar. But this seems to be everywhere in Skopje and hopefully they change this.

I must say, i had one of the best pasta there. So much flavor from the tomatoes and bacon, smokey, incredible. No fancy styling, just really good food. Restaurant has large seating area, outside but covered, with nature decoration, pond and a mill wheel. Very nice atmosphere. Only one issue was the staff, which was unattentive even though we were pretty much the only people there.

A beautiful restaurant with a calming outdoor area for traditional dining in Skopje. We dined on a very warm day, but with the breeze and fans, it was comfortable outdoors. They have a wonderful wine list and the food was excellent, service was attentive with great staff. Started out with a lovely fresh salad, followed by perfectly cooked Tagliata, it was delicious. The restaurant was definitely a local hotspot and full of businessmen and was the place to be. Definitely recommend, very good pricing, a little above most, but absolutely worth it.

Pretty much every single dish made here were fantastic. It is no small wonder that the review ratings are so high. Our party sat outdoors to enjoy the cool spring evening. The table was very large, and readily capable of supporting all the food we ordered... And boy did we order. Slice of pecorino cheese. Yum. Salads. Fresh. Mussels in white wine sauce. Plump. Grilled prawns. Heavenly. Baby cow steak. Juicy and tender. Parma prosciutto. Authentic. Rakia. Smooth and strong. Coffee. Robust and tasty. Need I go on? The garden setting created a great atmosphere for our group. The waiter was competent and speedy with orders and refills. He was stunned by how much we ate. Come eat here. Your won't regret it.

The restaurant has very good reviews, so we definitely wanted to try it. We didn't make a reservation, but we could get a table. I wasn't very pleased with the waitress woman lack of kindness, maybe we got her in the wrong moment. We waited for a menu maybe 10 minutes, while nobody looked at us. But the waiter guy was friendly and smiley. And the food is AMAZING. I saw a review about a Sicilian pasta, so I didn't hesitate, it was my choice. It was really, really good. My friend chose a pasta with shrimps, also good. Its a bit more expensive than the restaurant next to it, I don't say this one is better, but it certainly fancier. Both are great, visit both!

From the smoky grilled Bukovka mushrooms to the comforting Sarma—stuffed vine leaves topped with yogurt and cream sauce—each dish tells a story of local flavors.

Do not go near this place.‼️‼️‼️‼️ Under no circumstances. The WORST staff in the world.‼️‼️‼️‼️ We placed our order, and the waiter clearly forgot one of the dishes. They brought us 3 dishes, and for the fourth we had to wait a full hour. For an entire hour, we waited for the chicken. From time to time we asked our waiter when it would arrive, and five times he answered “in a minute.” He never apologized and didn’t even admit he had forgotten to write down the chicken. Instead, he told us to “show respect for his age.” When we asked for the bill, we discovered that the waiter had written down one of the items incorrectly. He charged us for a different, more expensive dish instead of the one we actually ordered. We asked him to correct it, but he insisted that it was exactly what we had ordered and that this is what we would pay for. He also said he didn’t have time for us and would call security. In the video I will add, you can clearly hear fragments of this unpleasant conversation. When we asked to speak to a manager, our waiter told us that he was the manager and simply walked away. We then went to the bar and asked the bartender to call the manager. He just lowered his head and said nothing. The other waiters standing nearby also ignored our request to call the manager. A few minutes later, our waiter reappeared, again insisting that he was the manager. And then he started saying even worse things to us: • “If you don’t have money, don’t come here.” • “Gypsy approach is not acceptable.” • “If you are cheap, go to cheap places.” • “I don’t have time for this.” • “Pay, and I don’t want to see you ever again.” • “Pay or you will have big problems.” We stood there for a long time, asking for the owner’s contact, but they told us it was impossible. Eventually, the owner himself came over, apologized many times, and immediately corrected the bill, replacing the wrong dish with the one we had actually ordered. He even gave us a cake to take home as an apology. This was the worst restaurant experience of our lives. I have never heard such insults directed at me. And to be clear—the waiter never once apologized. The dishes were incredibly delicious, we really, really enjoyed the food.

One of the worst experiences in service. Came for breakfast and ordered a platter which contained pork meat and it was not even mentioned in the menu or by the waiter. When asked the waiter one said its pork the other one said it was chicken. I have requested to change it and questioned them why it was not mentioned in the menu the kind of meat it is? where in another platter it was mentioned beef prosciutto. The server told me “you should have asked?” In a country where a lot of people dont eat pork, you should always mention. If you care to mention “gluten free” you can also mention other allergens. Besides all of this, the type of conversation from waiters was very impolite. He also charged the platter which was not consumed and when asked why is that he said “we cant do anything”. Such businesses do not deserve to stay in the market and beside such people shouldn’t event be employed. They were not even sorry.

Forza used to be so much better in the past, now I think the service has gotten worse while the already high prices went even higher. We had a reservation for three people, and they didn't even bother us to show us where we can sit, the lady just said "sit wherever you like". Asked for an English menu, got two in Macedonian, and since no one was paying attention to me for over 5 minutes I had to stand up and go to the entrance to ask for an English menu. The food was okayish but not warm, nothing worth the money that you pay. Two waiters changed during our visit, none of them was paying attention as they should. The only positive thing was that the toilets were clean, other than that I don't if I'd recommend this place, maybe for coffee.

It used to be a nice place to eat pasta, steaks, pizza and salads in Skopje. Last 3 visits however, show very opposite picture.. Unfortunately today I wanted to give another chance to this place and ordered “Spaghetti with shrimps” for a dinner.. you can see on my pictures (attached) how the pasta looked like.. It was horrible.. How can you serve your client pasta like this? These spaghetti were stuck and probably boiled during the day and I got some leftovers that were just warmed in microwave and added to the shrimps.. The Cook should clearly get some lessons how to cook pasta. And this is already for the 3rd time I’m getting such disappointment at your place guys. Perhaps is the time to hire some proper cook and start delivering a Good food , not just on pictures and menu but in the reality too.. I left hungry, angry and disappointed. This review is to show the Restaurant owners tat something is going wrong with the personnel, so perhaps it will give a better idea..

Just eaten the BEST squid ( Lignje) we have ever had anywhere. Cheese cake dessert was good too. Not the cheapest place in town but more than reasonable given the surroundings and food ( NOT if one is a beer drinker, prices extortionate for beer) although there is a huge choice of wines at reasonable prices. Shame about the service which can be a little hit or miss. Would be nice to have the odd smile from the ( Majority) of staff. Perhaps it was the weather? (Extreme Thunder, lightning, rain and hail) Made another visit (six days later) Service even worse than before and STILL not one member of staff able to raise a smile. Perhaps it was the weather? ( Quite Hot)

Restaurant „Kantina“ is a popular spot in Skopje, known for its signature Kantina burger featuring local kackaval cheese and aioli. The casual dining venue offers a diverse menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's a hipster hotspot with an outdoor terrace adorned with graffiti by local street artists. Located in a bustling neighborhood, it provides a laid-back atmosphere and diverse menu catering to various preferences.
Kantina restaurant serves high-quality food at reasonable prices. I particularly enjoyed the avocado salmon sandwich—delicious! The carbonara was also tasty, though I couldn’t finish everything since I ordered two dishes and got quite full. The restaurant is accommodating to foreign tourists, offering menus and ordering in both English and Macedonian. I’d love to visit again on my next trip!

The pasta and Greek salad were tasty, and the service was very fast and friendly. The burger also looks good. The food was seasoned just right—nothing to complain about in terms of flavor. So I can recommend this ;-) and price are also nice.

We liked this place. The food was incredibly delicious. The portions are large and the prices are reasonable. The smoothie was really, really tasty. However, when we asked to take the food to go, they just wrapped the pasta in foil — I’ve never seen anything like that, it was terrible. For context, the place works with Wolt and offers delivery, so they do have disposable containers for takeout

Really good food and great service! I ordered Thai Chicken and that was perfectly spicy! My brother ordered Pepperoni pizza and that was perfect! Great staff and great food! Maybe the best restaurant in Skopje?

Fantastic cocktails and great waiting staff, quick service. Indoor and outdoor seating. We sat on the street and enjoyed several rounds of cocktails

We stayed practically next to this place when we visited Skopje, so went here a few times. The service was amazing and the food was very good. They have a big selection of food, so we tried a few different things. I especially loved their Thai chicken noodles and the Greek salad. Their drinks and cocktails were great as well. On top of that. The prices were very reasonable. I didn’t get their burger, but it looked amazing, so I would definitely try that next time. Definitely recommend stopping by when visiting Skopje!

Restaurant Dva Еlena is a Macedonian restaurant that serves international, European, and Eastern European cuisine. It has outdoor seating, parking availability, and a full bar.
Absolutely fantastic dining experience at Dva Elena! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm hospitality and cozy atmosphere. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was outstanding — every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches and the care put into every detail. Whether you're looking for a relaxed meal with family or a special dinner out, Dva Elena is a place you shouldn’t miss. Highly recommended!

We went there upon recommendations. Kemal Bey welcomed us with great hospitality. The restaurant has a unique atmosphere surrounding customers with different accesories, small gardens etc. The food was quite good and tasty as well. Finishing was made with fig jams in little jars, which was well thought and cute. Worth to try once if visiting Üskup/Skopje.

Rustic, cosy restaurant and one of the best places I discovered in Skopje to try authentic Macedonian food. Dishes are made with locally sourced ingredients - from ajvar and cheeses to smoked meats, fresh bread, and grilled specialties. Good local wine list, generous portions, and friendly service. A must-visit if you want to experience real traditional cuisine.

I recently visited Dva Elena Restaurant and had an outstanding experience. The service was excellent—very friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome throughout the evening. مكان مره مميز و جميل احد معالم مسدونيا لازم حجز زحمه We tried the Customer Favorite steak, and it truly lived up to its name—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The Pasta Arrabbiata had the right balance of spice and freshness, and the risotto with chicken was creamy and rich in taste. Even the simple tomato salad stood out for its freshness and flavor. Overall, the combination of amazing food and warm hospitality made it a memorable dining experience. I would highly recommend Dva Elena Restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food and exceptional service.

Spectacular food. Every single dish was both unique and delicious. Tonight we decided to go vegetarian - and everything was delicious: the baked eggplant, the spinach pie, goat cheese, heirloom tomato, vegetable balls, ajvar, sheep cheese, kashkaval with fig preserve… The hospitality was a whole new level - our server Vlatko was extremely courteous, yet friendly, efficient and kind. It felt as if we had found a new friend. One of the most memorable and impressive experiences in a very long time.

The food was absolutely delicious – every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The ambiance is also fantastic, very cozy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal or a special evening out. However, our experience was let down by one of the waiters, who was quite rude and uncommunicative. It felt like they didn’t want to be there, which really contrasted with the rest of the staff who seemed friendly and professional. Overall, I’d still recommend Dva Elena for the food and atmosphere – just hoping management addresses the service issue to make the experience truly exceptional.

Italian restaurant
Ristorante da Gino, located in the City Shopping Centre GTC at the heart of Macedonia's capital, is highly regarded as one of the best Italian restaurants in the country. The restaurant offers a delightful fusion of Italian cuisine with a Macedonian twist. Visitors can expect fresh and perfectly cooked pizza and pasta dishes made with high-quality ingredients. While some patrons have noted that service could be quicker, others praise the pleasant waitstaff and delicious food.
We have been there yesterday. The food was very delicious. They serve Italian and local Macedonian food and self made ice cream, which is really tasty. We sat outside and they had nice big ventilator to cool down a bit. Service was good and very fast. You don't have to wait long for your food. We had two different salads, bread and fried cheese and as I said before ice cream. Everything could be recommended. We liked it and would come back if we come here again.

It gets 2 stars only because of the excellent atmosphere and the great service. The food deserves a zero. At least what I ordered did. I'm sure other things from their overly huge menu are probably fine, though. DO NOT get the lasagna!!! 🤢 It is the worst lasagna I've ever had in my lifetime.🤮 Not an exaggeration! I'm sure it was pre-prepared, froze, and microwaved because some spots were hot, but most were lukewarm to room temp. The noodles were absolute mush. No consistency to them. Like baby food level mush. And the tomato sauce was so bland and not tomato flavored I couldn't believe it. I still forced most of it down because I was starving after being on a tour all day. On top of all that, the beer they brought me was flat! When the waiter came, he had the bottle open, so I'm sure it was opened quite awhile ago and the fizz left it. SOMETHING must have happened for it to be that flat because I have opened beers, drank half, put the rest in the fridge, and it still had fizz hours later. Not this. It was like it was opened yesterday. I still drank most of it, though, because I was so thirsty after that hot day. I should have returned it, but I dont like people thinking I'm a difficult customer who makes things up. I used to own a restaurant and know how difficult it is, so I don't like to complain ever. The place was busy with locals, so they must have been here before and like it. Maybe I just got unlucky?🤔🫤 Regardless, I'm leaving the country tomorrow, so I'll never return anyway.

While Gino is widely known as a restaurant, I want to focus this review exclusively on their bakery and dessert counter, which in my opinion, is where they truly shine—especially compared to the rest of the menu, which hasn’t quite maintained the same standard over the years. 🍦 Mandarin Ice Cream – A Taste of My Childhood Ever since I was a little girl—walking across the bridge after music school—Gino’s mandarin ice cream has held a special place in my heart. Even 25 years later, they still serve it, and it’s just as refreshing and unique as I remember. I’m typically not a sorbet person, but this one hits different. I don’t know if it’s made from real fruit, but it tastes incredibly authentic and vibrant. A must-try. 🍰 Signature Cakes That Never Miss • The “Gino” Cake – Named after the restaurant, this dessert is made with delicate phyllo pastry, layered with chocolate and vanilla custard. It’s light, yet deeply satisfying—the kind of dessert that doesn’t weigh you down but still gives you that “yes, this is exactly what I wanted” feeling. • Fruit Tart Variant – A lighter version of the Gino cake, featuring the same vanilla custard and phyllo base, topped with a variety of fresh fruits. It feels like a hybrid between a classic Italian cake and a French fruit tart—elegant, fresh, and not overly sweet. 🌰 Other Temptations They’ve recently expanded their cake selection, and one that stood out was the pistachio cake—rich, nutty, and well-balanced. There are many more I’ve yet to try, and I’m genuinely excited to go back and explore the rest of the display. ⸻ 🎯 Final Thoughts: Even if you’re skipping the full meal at Gino, don’t miss their dessert counter. Their cakes, cookies, and especially that iconic mandarin ice cream are a Skopje staple. It’s a beautiful blend of nostalgia and consistently great quality—rare to find over decades.

I have been to this restaurant a few times in the past but this was my first visit after a few years and it felt like it has lost its charm. I had a feeling we were unwelcomed and they couldn’t wait to see us leave. The coffee was good and the chocolate crape as well. One crape is more than enough for two people to share. Didn’t seam super clean and the vibe is stale. I would say is more of a business meetup place than a casual restaurant.

Restaurant Dion is a charming dining spot situated along the picturesque Vardar river, offering a delightful blend of local and international cuisine. The menu showcases an array of delectable seafood and grilled dishes, with generous portion sizes that exceed expectations. The restaurant boasts modern and elegant decor featuring natural elements like wood and stone. Guests can enjoy a cozy atmosphere complemented by good music at just the right volume while receiving attentive service from English-speaking waitstaff.
The place had great vibes and the service was top-notch. The food was super juicy and tasty! Food worth for every cents, if you have tried local meatballs - they cook burger meat from same minced meat I guess. I can tell you that I felt same taste. Double cheeseburger was already enough for one person, portion was big. Place was chill, easy to visit, found space easily. I went at late time perhaps, still there were many people enjoying their food and drinks. Good vibes. Waitress was very helpful as well 🙌
Alper Y — Google review
I recently visited Restaurant Dion, one of the more popular spots in Skopje, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The food arrived cold, and surprisingly, the salad was served without any basic dressing—no oil, salt, or seasoning. That’s something I’ve never seen before in a restaurant of this level. The menu itself wasn’t clean, which didn’t leave a great impression. While the atmosphere is nice and could work well for a drink or two, it’s definitely not a place I’d recommend if you’re going there to enjoy a proper meal.

We were sitting close to the bar and noticed that the skinny lady in the white dress was raising her voice and being very unpleasant to the employees. We figured out that she was some kind of boss or in charge of the location. She was just too much to be around. Maybe she could be more professional and handle things like a boss, not like someone who came from the streets to harass people. The food and service were good, but the place was full of cigar smoke. The bad review is because of the boss lady — she should be kept out of the guests’ sight, as she clearly has poor knowledge of hospitality.

St. Panteleimon is a historic church in Macedonia, dating back to 1164 and renowned for its vibrant medieval frescoes. Nearby, the Imaret stands on the foundations of the 9th-century monastery associated with St. Clement, who opened the first Slavic school and translated Scriptures. The region boasts beautiful churches, historic monuments, and a medieval castle atop the city. Notable attractions include St. Sophia Church, St.
A small Byzantine church dedicated to St. Panteleimon, located in the surroundings of Mount Vodno. I joined a group tour to visit here, but I heard taxi prices should be around 5€ to 7€ to visit. The church is known for its religious frescoes that indicated the development of the Renaissance in the 12th century. The church grounds are quiet and relaxing, while also providing a beautiful, unobstructed view of Skopje. It is best to experience this church with a guide, there's so much history in each little detail of the church. It's mesmerizing how well preserved the original frescoes from the century are, considering the church had been through an earthquake.

Quiet and peaceful monastery. It's a bit of a drive from the center through narrow and winding roads but worth it. There's parking right outside the monastery. Gates were closed (arrived around 4pm, used the black gate near the parking) but not locked, and so were the church doors. You may have the place to yourself. No entrance fees. Good views of the city from here

Small church outside Skopje. Entry fee is 120 MD, because it doubles as a small museum. The frescos inside are incredibly beautiful. I was lucky to have a passionate guide who took plenty time to explain the images. It's hard to believe some fresco are 800+ years old, with how stunning the colours still are.

I took a tour to the Mountain Vodno and Matka Canyon, but I recommend you to ask if the cable car is working because we were disappointed that the cable car was not working at the time we took the tour. Tour planners also didn’t give us any news about it but it was not working for a couple days long. Site is skopje daily tours, our guide was very nice and joyful. Entry fee to the church is 2 euros but we were early so they didnt charge us 😹

a small 12th-century Byzantine church located in a monastery complex. The church and monastery are dedicated to st. Pantelejmon, the patron saint of physicians. The church is a part of a bigger place containing, rooms for living, and a restourant that was not working at the time. Its next to Makedonsko selo complex

Amazing place near Skopje. A must see is the church (built in 1164) and the composition called "Lamentation of Christ" by an unknown fresco painter which is considered a forerunner of Renaissance painting.

A beautiful monastery only 8 km away from Skopje with panoramic views of the surrounding. The frescoes in the church are very specific with their coloring, composition and purity of expression which are outstanding examples of Byzantine medieval monumental painting in the later 12th century. Distrikt Bar and Kitchen is a modern and chic restaurant located on the ground floor of the Marriott Hotel in Skopje. It offers a diverse menu that combines Eastern European and Mediterranean flavors, featuring local specialties like korab kaskaval sheep's cheese and kraski smoked pork, as well as Mediterranean favorites such as homemade paprika hummus. The restaurant is known for its Josper grill, which adds a unique smoky flavor to its dishes.
Everything was perfect from start to finish! First of all, the service was outstanding. The staff was incredibly attentive, professional, and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was well-prepared, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. I also appreciated their gluten-free options, which were clearly marked and tasted just as great as the regular dishes. It’s not always easy to find good gluten-free food, but Distrikt really delivered. The atmosphere was fantastic – modern, stylish, and comfortable. The music selection was perfect, creating a relaxed yet vibrant ambiance. It was the ideal setting for a great meal, whether for a casual dinner or a special occasion. We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant and tried a variety of dishes. We started with the foie gras, which was nice though not particularly memorable. The lobster soup was outstanding—rich, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the meal. The steak was excellent, cooked to perfection and very high quality. The fish with gnocchi was also delicious and well-prepared. Service was attentive and friendly. There was a small delay with the foie gras, but the staff apologized sincerely, which made a good impression. The atmosphere is inviting and elegant, creating a really pleasant dining experience overall. Highly recommend for a special night out—especially if you try the lobster soup and steak.

An excellent place to enjoy your breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner! We (2 adults and two children) had both breakfast and dinner at this place and we were impressed by the professionalism and fast service its staff exhibited. Its non smoking area makes it a very rare finding nowadays, and also a valuable feature for families with kids. There is an abundance of food choices (both contemporary and local cuisines) and a variety of hot and cold beverages to choose from and cover every taste. Well done, Distrikt! We are definitely coming back! (Jan. 2023) Jan. 2024.. and once more we are back to this lovely place for breakfast. We had a really great evening here. It wasn’t busy, but the atmosphere was still very good. The decor was charming and authentic, and the service—provided by the owner, who was also the chef—was very helpful. However, it was definitely worth it!

Hidden in Old Bazar this restaurant was such a great find. I had dinner here in the first evening of my stay in Skopje. The food had me from the first bites and i really wished to try all the menu so i decided to come back…not once, not twice but i came here for 5 evenings. The waiter was so kind and nice that he adviced me to try some dishes that i wouldn’t take regulary and he was so right. The slow cooked meat is such a blast of flavors and textures. The taste is so full and close to your home-made food. Definetly you should try the cold plate that comes with best home-made sausage i ever had and some kind of ham that resembles prosciutto crudo or jamon but this one was so much better. Beef dishes were fresh and so tender that you wouldn’t need a knife. Combine all of this with a cold Skopsko beer and you will have a meal to remember. This is really a place to come when you visit Skopje! Also the owner was so nice that she kept the place a little bit more open past closing time because i came late from work. Hvala for all! 🤗🇲🇰

Really tasty food in a cozy and especially quiet atmosphere. The Service is really professional and the food was great. Very disappointing place, especially if you see the pictures beforehand. I’ve been at this place for lunch and it was super empty. I took a seat outside on the terrace and they old me to move as this part is reserved for people (the whole terrace part with more than 12 tables was fully empty and no signs of reservations have been there). After I changed space, I could get started on checking the food. The variety they offer is good, even though the pricing isn’t reasonable in a lot of ways. The food was disappointing from start to end: The Greek salad was with a “twist”, turning it into something really strange. Combining it with baked eggplant and cooked eggs and strange dressing surely isn’t something that should be called a Greek salad. The soufflé with mushrooms was good and something unique, but the mixed mushrooms have been champignons only. The worst of all was the homemade pasta. Is was not only overcooked, but so overcooked that you could use it like a cream for your bread. In fact. I couldn’t even feel the texture of pasta anymore. For me, this place is surely meant to be avoided.

I ordered the Moscow Mule cocktail. Instead i got a mix of vodka and Schweppes (or some other soft drink) which was very disappointing. The food was excellent, we really liked everything that we ordered, especially the turkey and the deep fried polenta. The restaurant is nicely decorated and cozy. It creates a warm welcoming atmosphere. The menu has a lot to offer, so i'm planning on coming back in the future.

I did not eat here. Just had a beer and relaxed with a friend. The beer was absolutely not cold enough, and it was advertised on the menu as 0,5 liters. I got a 0,3 bottle. I confronted the waitresses about both issues. She just smiled... Perhaps the restaurant is saving on both electricity and alcohol.

Upscale cozy restaurant along the river that offers very good selection of dishes that you won't find in other restaurants around town. The dish presentation was great. My tuna steak came out well done instead of medium or medium rare, which is what I would expect for this type of dish (the server didn't ask for cooking instructions). The service was slow considering the number of servers they had working. Overall it was a good experience.

I’ve had this Korean chicken a few times already and it’s always been delicious. This dish is a appetizer but it is a large portion. I also ordered a plate of rice to compliment the dish that was quite delicious. I will be coming back again to try out the other dishes on the menu.

Bakery
Breakfast restaurant
The Silbo bakery is a popular late night spot in the Debar Maalo neighbourhood. The bakery has amazing drunk food, with sweet and salty pastries, sandwiches, and cornbread slices. It's a great place to stop for a cheap lunch on your way downtown.
At first this place was intimidating because it was quite busy, fast paced, and I felt as though I needed to know exactly what I wanted once an employee made eye contact with me. Luckily, the woman who helped me was nice, helpful, and spoke English (thank you so much!) This made it much easier to order what she recommended as most popular items. I reheated and ate them at home and they were delicious. Very fair pricing as well. This is a definite must-visit while in Skopje.

I had börek at Silbo today and it was absolutely delicious! The taste was amazing and the prices are very reasonable. The seating area is comfortable and clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking to try börek in Skopje! 🥟✨

This bakery has the sweetest staff( and talented bakers with the variety and volume of goodness each day!) we thank you for always being so kind and patient with us speaking English, especially since you all are so busy with non stop lines of customers! That you take the time and help us means a lot, thank you. And we love everything we have tried so far.
Amanda T — Google review
Delicious bread available even late at night. We were starving and visited at around 1am, but everything was still available and we enjoyed a variety of different kinds of bread!
Ethan P — Google review
Amazing place, always has long lines but everyone gets serviced quite fast. Food is tasty and very cheap, all those pastries you see on plate cost me 2.6€ in total. In my country just a single one of them would cost significantly more, and would probably have substantially less filling.
Sergei — Google review
Super busy. Couldn’t even fit inside the store. There is no line or order, just make your way and get an employee’s attention and start giving your order. They can accommodate for full pies even late at night, we were there at 11pm. I don’t know how those people do it, but they were all positive and efficiently helped all the customers. The food though was not as good as it looks. This is apparently one of the most famous bakeries around but I have definitely had better burek at a few other places. It was too oily and almost empty on the inside that felt like I am just eating filo dough. I would probably recommend the Debarmaalska pastramajlija since it had better flavor. Maybe it was just bad timing and you might have better pastries in the morning

The best bakery in the neighborhood. They are open almost 24/7, the service is amazing and they're probably one of the few people in Skopje who are smiling at you when serving ☺️ Also, there's plenty of cheap and delicious goods!

The friendly and attentive staff provide excellent service, making it a great dining experience in the heart of Skopje. This authentic restaurant comes highly recommended for its tasty food, affordability, and genuine hospitality.
Great food and excellent service at Restaurant Merkez. Our group had lunch here in our last day in Skopje. We ordered several dishes to share and were not disappointed with any of our choices. The wait staff were very attentive, courteous and helpful. Would definitely eat here if I’m ever back in Skopje

Food is average, service is good. I feel it is a bit of a tourist trap as it is recommended by all guides for being a place where locals go but there are only tourists there. It's supposed to be the only restaurant were you can pay with card in the old bazaar.

What a lovely way to dine in the Old Town of Skopje on a hot summer’s night! Under the shade of the sycamore tree with the gentle sound of the fountain. My ‘ramstek on grili’ was moist and tender and very enjoyable. The staff are all very friendly, paying attention, helpful and really looking after me.
Merinda H — Google review
It's an ok place for a quick meal or snack like ciavapcici or shopska salad. But don't expect anything sophisticated - after all it's a very small place only with seats outside and only with one grill. From vegetarian dishes they have only salads, bean in tomato souce, ajvar and cheese. It's very important to eat like the locals do, so don't order any french fries - for me they were uneatable. Salad were and ciavapcici were very good.

Love supporting an all vegan business. The burger and fries was yum. Orange juice freshly squeezed. The inside is a little bit hot and got flies, so it’s not the nicest dining atmosphere. But the staff is very friendly and spoke English which I appreciate!

A warm welcome to a small casual eatery which provided cheap tasty vegan food. As we both ate the veggie burger (with small fries) I can't comment on many dishes but the food we had was excellent. So much flavour packed into a simple dish! We managed to get the only outdoor table - in addition there was more seating inside. Worth noting that it's cash knmy. One of the best restaurants in Skopje. Excellent food. Great ambient. Friendly staff.

They praised this restaurant as very good, so we went there on Sunday for a lunch. I must say I was very disappointed 🙁 The place looks great, nice garden with mini pools and waterfall, but the service was less than mediocre. We ordered, in the end we didn’t get everything we ordered, we wanted to order more, but there wasn’t any staff to take the order, so we had our meal and went elsewhere for the dessert… The food was decent but served without any care or imagination, just laid the ingredients on the plates. I’m pretty sure I won’t come here again, so I feel no remorse for not leaving the tip…
Goran S — Google review
I recently visited Oreov Lad for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The atmosphere was excellent—chilled, cozy, and very comfortable, perfect for a relaxed meal. As for the food, there were a few highlights and some things that could be improved. We ordered the lamb, but unfortunately, it lacked seasoning—no salt or spices, which made the meat feel a bit bland. On the other hand, the melted cheese in the oven was extremely salty, creating an unbalanced contrast. The fish dish was decent, nothing particularly special, but still enjoyable. Now, onto the positives: the Shopska salad was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The zucchini were delicious and fresh, and the chicken in sauce was quite tasty as well. Special thanks to our waiter, Daniel, who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. His service was outstanding, and I truly believe he’s one of the stars of the restaurant. Overall, it was a nice experience with a few ups and downs food-wise, but the ambiance and service definitely made it worthwhile. I’d consider coming back, especially for that Shopska salad and the great hospitality.

The restaurant atmosphere is really nice and relaxing. We were few times for different occasions here and I had a really nice time. The whole organization when you make a reservation it's well organized and will went well, the food will be prepared and tables ready on time. What I didn't like for this place is they don't have enough staff to deal with so many guests, especially if you go during weekends or some holidays. The food came an hour or so later, the waiters were really slow and could not make to accommodate every guest. I would suggest to you to go here or reserve some event when there aren't many guests, maybe working days because you will only then espreiance the great service. The place is really beautiful outside!
Inspector M — Google review
I have visited this place couple times. All i can say is excellent. There is indoor and outdoor place to seat. Outdoor is beautiful with nature around it, spacious and some kids playground. The food was excellent especially ribs. The waiter? I have no words for the little elder waiter. Very communicative, funny, always smiling and positive. Always on time. Great work. Also huge greetings to the cook.
Aleks A — Google review
One of the most amazing restaraunts in Skopje! The service is incredible and the food is delicious. I have no idea why this place has a bad review about the service cause the waiters are always incredibly helpful and open to every idea for events. Also, its the best outdoor restaraunt, with plenty of greenery, waterfall and park for kids.
Kristina M — Google review
Can you give a place a zero? Doesn't matter how nice a location looks if every waiter ignores you for half an hour after being seated. There was just one more group in the whole restaurant - there for some celebration - and every waiter was hovering around them and ignoring us, even after calling them multiple times. I guess the bigger group gives bigger tips.
Marjan V — Google review
We were tired and hungry. I'm not from Macedonia and my friends wanted me to see this beautiful place. It was but we were turned away as they had a wedding. No sign at the door. If you had placed a sign at the door I would not have gone in. To be turned away like we were. Very embarrassing.

Good place to explore the local nightlife. The band performed well although the instruments were over powering the vocal, so I hope they could change that. The beers you get here are some of the best I’ve ever had, especially the local ones. If you’re coming by car, parking can be a pain. But overall lovely experience

Don't bother going on weekends if youre a young adult, got rejected at the door for being "too young" - we were a group of 3 in our 20s. Such a shame because the atmosphere and food is nice, just very shitty attitudes - segregating the people who should be bringing you a profit is not cool.
Tonkatsunoodlie — Google review
Place is overpriced, food arrives late and cold how can you screw basic deep fried foods?! Onion rings had no onion in it, chicken fingers were dry and tasteless and the french fries were cold served with no sause. When we complained they dip fried them and charged us for the ketchup. The atmosphere was not up to the expected level, taking in consideration there was a live band. Band sounded bland and lifeless. The waitress didn't return my change, she assumed it was a tip even though it was much higher than the tip I wanted to leave. Overall the place is overrated because it's in a popular area of the city and that's the only reason of being crowded.
Filip P — Google review
Modern space, nicely decorated and with a nice vibe. People smoking indoors right next to where you are eating - just as in many onther restaurants - because the country hasn't heard of passive smoking or lung cancer. Music was so loud during our visit that we couldn't speak at the table. Food can be described as pub food at best. Soggy, overprocessed and mostly frozen things that are just fried. Clearly overrated especially when you consider they are across the road from one of the best food places you can find in Skopje.
Evelina — Google review
The place is pretty big, modern and recently renovated. The music is great, the service is average and reservation is recommended. They have a good selection of beers with mostly decent prices, around twenty cocktails that you can choose from, but the food is not only average but overpriced for the quality and quantity that you get. The platter on the photo was 15 EUR and is not enough for even two people. Still worth a visit if you want to drink beer while listening to decent music.
Flet — Google review
They didn't have Hoegaarden, no Corona so we ordered Asahi tap which was warm, a big no no for a beer place. The service was slow (no fault of the waiters as this is an issue for thouse who manage the place). Overrated as people dont have much choice where to go in Skopje.
Sneska I — Google review
DONT BOTHER I don’t think I’ve ever left a one star, but this place deserves it. Skopje is a city desperate for tourism, and I’m sure it would appreciate more western tourism money. But we learned today exactly why no Americans bother coming here! We get turned down for dress code because one persons pants aren’t denim. (Big bald older door guy) Idk about you, but a beer garden with a live band playing American rock n roll ain’t a dress code🤣, and we’re not even wearing shorts. Never coming back here with our money.

Stopped by Kafana Nadzak and had a proper feast. The vibe is super chill, perfect for kicking back with a cold beer. Staff were really kind and easygoing — service felt natural, not forced. The sharska pleskavica was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Juicy, cheesy, grilled just right, and those potatoes on the side hit the spot. They brought out some solid beer appetizers too — grilled sausage, fried stuff, a bit of salad — perfect to snack on while sipping. Beer was on point: cold Skopsko served in frozen mugs — you can’t beat that in the summer heat. And the best part? We got baklava with poppy seeds on the house. Honestly, unreal. Not too sweet, super crispy, and just melts in your mouth. Probably the best baklava I’ve had. All in all, 10/10 experience. Definitely coming back.

This restaurant truly lives up to its name: paradise. It was an incredible discovery for us at the beginning of our visit to the city, and we have returned at every opportunity since. For vegans, it's possibly the only restaurant in the city that offers exclusively vegan food. But what sets it apart are the flavors. Despite its unassuming and modest appearance, every dish is a delightful surprise. From cooked meals sold by weight to pastries, pizzas, sandwiches, and desserts, everything is simply delicious without exception. They also sell homemade items, like an exceptionally tasty peanut butter spread. The prices are ridiculously low compared to the value you get. This place isn’t just for vegans like us who want to protect nature; it’s for anyone who appreciates healthy and delicious food. The service is excellent, with friendly, lovely, patient women who speak enough English to describe the dishes and provide necessary explanations. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with ample seating on the upper floor and soothing classical music playing in the background. I wish all restaurants in the world were like this. Thank you for your existence!

Very calm and nice place! Food was fantastic but I expected it to be a bit cheaper. Paid 350 mkd for this plate and 1 cookie.
Sophia S — Google review
The food is good. Must visit in Skopje if you're vegan. Personally am obsessed with the vegan homemade sausage pizza. They also have nice home cooked meals on a rotating menu throughout the week. Though the taste can vary from time to time. I wish they'd stay more consistent. However the lower rating is because they have gone completely mad with their pricing — a 200+% increase and counting as of now. It's starting to feel like an extortion to the small vegan community we have locally.
Bojo B — Google review

Nestled behind the City Park, Restaurant Javor Mrzenci is a delightful culinary destination that invites you to indulge in traditional Macedonian cuisine. This charming eatery beautifully marries old-world aesthetics with contemporary flair, creating an inviting atmosphere that feels both cozy and nostalgic. The menu showcases a diverse array of authentic Macedonian dishes, all crafted from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

If you’re visiting North Macedonia and looking for a truly authentic experience – Javor Mrzenci is the place to go. This is easily one of the best local restaurants you’ll find in the region – a perfect blend of traditional atmosphere, amazing food, warm service, and a charming village setting. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the magic of the place. The restaurant is clean, well-organized, and beautifully decorated with rustic wooden touches, flowers, and an authentic local feel. The menu is rich and diverse, offering the very best of Macedonian cuisine – grilled meats, traditional stews, local cheeses, fresh bread, and vibrant salads. Every dish that came to the table was absolutely excellent – fresh, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and deeply satisfying. The drinks – especially the local wine and homemade rakija – add an extra layer of authenticity to the meal. Each sip feels like part of the culture, and the staff knows exactly how to recommend the right pairing for your meal. The service was warm, professional, and attentive, with a genuine smile and pride in every gesture. Whether you’re a family, a group of friends, or a couple looking for a quiet and special meal, this place fits the bill perfectly. Everything is carefully maintained – from the cleanliness to the presentation, from the background music to the restrooms – and the entire experience feels real and heartfelt. In short, Javor Mrzenci is not just a restaurant – it’s a full local experience that is delicious, memorable, and deeply connected to the spirit of Macedonia. I highly, highly, highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area – especially those seeking the very best in traditional food. Don’t miss it – it’s truly the finest local meal you’ll find

That was amazing. The food was perfect and also the waiters were so polite and helpful. It was a memorable experience.
Bedirhan E — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Restaurant Javor in Mrzenci is a true culinary gem! We visited for lunch with family and enjoyed every moment of the experience. 🥩 We ordered lamb, veal, and pork – everything was incredibly tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The meat was full of flavor and practically melted in our mouths. It’s hard to find this kind of authentic taste nowadays. 👨‍🍳 The service was outstanding – the staff were professional, friendly, and genuinely attentive. Everything arrived quickly and with a smile. 🏡 The atmosphere is traditional yet stylish – clean, cozy, and ideal for relaxing and enjoying a good meal. 💰 Prices are fair for the quality you get. Excellent value for money, without a doubt. 📌 Tip: If you’re a fan of traditional grilled meat and slow-cooked local dishes, this is the place to go! Don’t miss the lamb – it’s a must-try. I would definitely return – one of the best dining spots in the region for a truly authentic Balkan food experience!

Pretty good food, big plates and definitely best prepared roasted lamb meat in town. Service is great and the yard is nice for a daily visit.
Ivona — Google review
Restaurant serves fantastic traditional Macedonian food and is well known for its meat dishes in particular. It does not disappoint in this: the lamb is indeed insanely good and best I have ever had. The other dishes also ave high-quality ingredients and are prepared with care. The service is competent and quick. As with many other locations in Skopje, parking is a drama, but the atmosphere and food make up for everything. This restaurant is highly recommended if you are in town.
Arne D — Google review
This was my second time as in the first time I had a very good meal, but last night the roasted lamb we ordered for three people had hardly 100 g of meat on it.. all the rest was fat and oil. We were charged €50 for this. Moreover, indoor smoking is free so you come back home stinky and bothered by the smoke.. not going again.

A legendary place famous for good late night parties. Now is more "peaceful" but you can still have good time during day having nice tea or coffee or a beer late at night, while enjoying the mixes from the DJ.

At the entrance of the Skopje Turkish Bazaar, this café serves as the paragon of the unique style that befits the district. Lovely and filling tapas and canapés to go with your beer or wine - made for sharing. Different variety of tables and seats, shimmering cocktails, and an aesthetic culture circulating amongst the crowd. Perfect for any kind of art events.

Furna is a historic bakery in Skopje, offering traditional Balkan food and some of the oldest pastries in the city. The place is known for its traditional pies, or Burek, which have been enjoyed by locals for over 50 years. It's a must-visit spot for those interested in experiencing authentic Balkan cuisine. Additionally, it's open 24 hours a day and has been serving old-fashioned pastries since the last century.
Legendary spot, only remaining original in Čair, it really has the best burek (bourek), gevreg, simit, solenki, etc. It's surrounded by chaos but if you want to taste the real deal, they are one of the last remaining sources of good in Skopje.

The best bakery in town, it also works after midnight. I suggest you to eat here when you are in that area.
Leonid P — Google review
A very well known and popular bakery - not really advertised so known through word of mouth. One of the oldest in Skopje! Basic menu however the quality is amazing and you won’t find the tradition and experience anywhere else. Very popular with taxi drivers and night shift workers in the early hours. Friendly staff, hard to notice it if you don’t know where it is but ask for “Furna” and you’ll get directions. Very tasty pastries. I would highly recommend!
Tas — Google review
Furna is for sure one of the oldest and most famous bakery in the city, the quality of the food that they prepare and make is among the best in the country for which you can see by the number of customers visiting the place, any time while open everything there is fresh and tasteful. I would recommend Furna to anyone passing by to stop and get freshly baked products.

One of the oldest bakery in Skopje. It is a historic place where you can find traditional balkan food. Mekici Sama is a delightful spot in Macedonia where you can indulge in the traditional treat known as mekici, which are scrumptious fried dough delicacies reminiscent of doughnuts. These tasty bites hold a special place in local culture, often prepared by grandmothers to celebrate the arrival of newborns. Typically enjoyed for breakfast, mekici are served with cheese or sour cream and have a pancake-like texture that makes them utterly irresistible.
You can eat borek (local cheese pie) for €1, it’s enough for breakfast. Not possible to order beverages(coffee or water), overall the best possible value for money and delicious food)

If you're on the lookout for a laid-back yet delightful wine tasting experience, look no further than Wine Place Culture Club. This charming venue offers an inviting atmosphere where you can unwind with friends or loved ones while exploring a diverse selection of wines from around the globe. During my visit, we were warmly welcomed by Stefan, our enthusiastic host who shared fascinating stories about each Spanish wine we sampled—covering everything from its origins to production methods and unique flavors.
The perfect place for an easy and chill wine tasting. Looks great, feels great and tastes great. We scheduled the place for a special occasion and went there with our friends for a wine tasting even. Stefan was an excellent and enthusiastic host that guided us during the whole evening, telling us many things and stories about the Spanish wines that we were tasting, about their origin, production process as well as taste and the story of the wine. I strongly recommend it!

Bakery
Nestled in the heart of Skopje's Old Bazaar, Baklava „Angela Merkel“ stands out among the myriad of sweet shops and bakeries. This charming little bakery is run by a talented Macedonian-Turkish patissier who has a deep admiration for Germany’s former Chancellor, even naming her signature dessert, Turska baklava, in Merkel's honor. The walls are adorned with photos and newspaper clippings featuring the Turkish president, adding to its unique charm.
The name alone drew us in. Angela Merkel of Germany once visited this baklava stand so they honor her in their name. A kind woman sold us a very gooey piece of baklava. It got all over my hands, but the woman poured water from a bottle over my hands to help wash them!
Austin G — Google review
Great hospitality, very good place, relatively okay prices, but not the best desserts. They are just not that fresh, at least early in the morning when we arrived. They are also a bit too sweet for my taste buds but each to their own. Only one type of baklava was actually crunchy, which is certainly not ideal, wish all were that crunchy.

(Translated by Google) Brudi, this baklava completely blew my mind. I thought I'd just treat myself to one piece, suddenly the plate was empty and I was left standing there like Brexit: I have no idea how it happened. Crispier than my nerves after 16 years as chancellor, sweeter than the coalition promises before the election and stickier than Jens Spahn in a press photo. I immediately started humming the national anthem in Turkish – baklava about everything! Conclusion: I would even swap the diamond for a heart emoji. 100/10, Angela has officially entered the baklava game.
