We stopped in during a weekend in KC and are so glad we did! We will definitely be coming back. The vibe was great, the knowledge and selection of whiskeys was impressive. The bartender’s and manger’s hospitality made us feel right at home and very easy to chat with. We had the chicken and waffle, wings, and shrimp and everything was so tasty! Highly recommend and thank you for the great experience for our first time in KC. 🫶

5 ⭐️ Legendary spot of KC. Very friendly staff and over top hospitality. Ambiance is very antique and rich with vintage photos. Great menu, don’t sleep on the chips w/ French onion or the Sea Cow w/horseradish aioli. City Fried Steak with taters & gravy was a supreme choice! Easy Eddy on tap!! 🍺

Popped in for a quick late lunch around 2pm (10/13/25) Ended up getting the fish and chips. Sat at the bar. Bartender was awesome. Super friendly and even conversational and funny. Had a really good playlist on. The fish and chips came out hot. Crispy. The fries were delicious and salted perfectly. Great experience all around 10 out of 10! Will definitely be back.

We had my son’s rehearsal dinner for his wedding here last week. At first, I was apprehensive that it may not be the best place to have it. But after working with Abby, I knew that I was wrong. We had such a fantastic evening. The food was fabulous. The patio was perfect and everyone enjoyed the evening.

My girlfriend and I were recommended this spot. I’m from out of town and not very familiar with the KC food scene but at this place, the atmosphere was friendly, service was good, and the food was tasty. Fair prices and a fun place to come. It reminds me a lot of one of my favorite gastro style pubs back home. The Rueben was good but barely had sauerkraut and the bread was sort of dry crunchy. Good meat and cheese amount and thousand island was just enough. The Mac and cheese was delicious and not too saucy or spicy. Just enough portions for both of us. I had a beer and she had a prickly pear margarita and they both were good.

My husband and I adore Harry’s! We went on our second date here and fell in love with the place. We recently got married and the Harry’s staff were so welcoming for our engagement pictures, engagement video, and rehearsal dinner. We are so thankful for the Harry’s staff, the great food, the cozy vibe, and for forever being apart of our love story. Order the Espresso Martini the next time you are here! Cheers!

I have heard about this place for years and just never seem to make it by. We decided to go right before the Bob Dylan concert, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was great. I wish I would have snapped some photos of the ladies restroom the photos were great! The decor was spot on with so much to look at and enjoy. The good was truly some of the best "bar" food I have had in a long time. The homemade chips and dip were so tasty and crispy and just cooked perfectly. We also had the city fried chicken, Buffalo chicken mac and cheese and fish and chips. Everything was great. We will be back for sure.

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you walk into the Green Lady Lounge, I think you'll be blown away. Both the main level and the lower level offer unique experiences. They charge a cover even when bands aren't performing, but when I stopped by during the day to check it out, they let me look around without charging me. My wife and I went back later that evening and had a great time. Great drinks and wonderful jazz music. Highly recommend you try out both areas!!!

The Green Lady Lounge is a really nice spot to enjoy live jazz in Kansas City. The atmosphere is relaxed with comfortable seating and mood lighting, and the music was excellent. The drinks were well made, and the service was friendly. It’s an easy place to spend a few hours and enjoy good music without feeling rushed or crowded. I’d definitely go back next time I’m in town.

Incredible atmosphere. Very talented jazz players. Definitely gets packed pretty quickly so I would advise getting in on the earlier side of things if you want a seat.

Relaxing, tranquil, serene, vibes, and so much more that can’t be put into words! The live music was amazing! Takes you on a journey and allows you to momentarily escape from the toxicity of the world. Service was amazing! Drinks were creative and refreshing! Anytime I’m in KC, I will be sure to visit!

One of the best jazz nightclubs, awesome vibes, great mixed drinks, wonderful staff, and friendly bouncers smiling to greet you as you provide some entry cash. Lights down low, lounge sofas and chairs, cool bar… all in a nondescript building. And all tripped off by some EXCELLENT musicians (challenging to lol get their photo in this low lighting, live it!). Every time I’m in KC for a week business trip, this is the place I’ll frequent multiple nights… it is “that” cool. Don’t miss this gem!

Love Green Lady Lounge! I only get there once every few years as I'm from Minnesota, but was in KC for a wedding last weekend. I made sure to stop in and show my husband my favorite KC spot. Great music, delicious drinks, and friendly staff. The atmosphere is so cool too! Can't go wrong with gawdy, vintage decor and red lights 😍 I'm not sure when, but I WILL be back.

The Green Lady Lounge is a classy, speakeasy-style cocktail and jazz lounge with an inviting, old-school charm. There’s a $10 cover charge, and they check IDs at the door. Once you step inside, smooth jazz music fills the air, setting the perfect mood. The lighting is warm and atmospheric, with beautiful vintage hanging lanterns adding to the nostalgic vibe. The staff is super friendly and attentive, and the live band was fantastic—definitely one of the highlights of the night. They offer both cocktails and mocktails, with mocktails priced around $10 and cocktails starting at $12, depending on your choice of liquor. My favorite drink was the Berries and Cream mocktail, while my husband loved the Dark & Spicy Mule. While they don’t serve full meals, they do have a few snack items and desserts to enjoy alongside your drinks. I also appreciated that when you close out your tab, you have the option to tip the band directly on your receipt—a nice touch that supports the live music. Overall, The Green Lady Lounge is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great jazz, quality drinks, and an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere.

Service was awesome! Like really awesome. Atmosphere was cool. Mix of a good crowd of all ages. Food was good, not the best bar food I’ve ever had but it was decent. Smash burger was not a true smash burger. Patties were thiccc.

To the bartender who took my carryout order on the afternoon of 9/9/2025 not only did you mess up a plain cheeseburger that repeated to you over twice on the phone. The dismissive attitude you had when I came to pick it up because apparently you were too busy chatting with the ONLY TWO PEOPLE at the bar to be professional and get my simple order right. Do better!

This bar is a must visit spot every time I’m in KC. Grab a mystery beer from the vending machine, eat some delicious food (I recommend the burgers and wings!), and grab a seat to watch a game or listen to some tunes.

5 stars for everything!!! I met a friend for lunch & the food was outstanding! Service was great, even though the bartender was left to take our orders & such. The atmosphere was fun, vibrant, comfortable & everyone was singing along with the great song choices they had playing. Totally ready to go back!!!!

Stopped in because I heard the meatloaf was good.. And it was delicious. The mashed potatoes and green beans that came with it was good too. Tried the wings and they're good too. The atmosphere was cool, more like a bar setting. The service was good and the price of the beers were normal/average. They have $5 random can beer machine that's pretty cool too. My only complaint is that the meatloaf could be a couple dollars cheaper. I'd recommend it though if you can get past the sticker shock.

One of my favorite BLTs in KC. Get the chips over the fries. I previously gave it four stars but after my last visit, two. I spoke at length with my server about my order and I was served an item I'm allergic to, anyway. I didn't realize it until it was too late and I had a reaction. It wasn't too busy, there's no reason for the lack of regard.

Swordfish Tom’s is the kind of place that truly feels like a real speakeasy, not just a hidden bar with a fancy sign. It is intimate, unique, and has an atmosphere that makes you feel like you are in on a secret. The staff are true connoisseurs of cocktails. If nothing on the menu catches your eye, which is honestly rare, they will happily create something special just for you. We tried several drinks and every single one was crafted like a piece of art, both in presentation and flavor. This is a place for people who see cocktails as more than just a mix of ingredients. For us, it was an experience worth savoring and one we will definitely come back to.

One of the best places to grab a cocktail downtown. There is usually a wait (which tells you everyone loves the place) so be patient, I promise it is worth it! Service is always great, cocktails are well thought out, and the atmosphere is definitely that of a speakeasy. Last night I had the Heaven, Bourbon and Earth and it was one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had!

Our friends invited us to the distillery tour at Tom’s Town. We got tickets in advance and joined them on the distillery tour. Our tour guide Kate was fantastic! She’s also a chemical engineer and the assistant distiller, so she had deep knowledge on all the processes and handled questions with ease. She guided both our tour and tasting marvelously. We enjoyed learning about the process and the tasting. There was a nice film featuring the owners and other locals. They explained who Tom Pendergast was and about Prohibition in KC. They had some fine spirits!! We purchased the delicious vodka and a special reserve bourbon aged in apple brandy barrels that is only available at the distillery. We enjoyed a cocktail after the tour and had dinner across the street. It was a lovely afternoon!!

Did the tour with Tristan. He did a great job. Very knowledgable not only about the distillery but also about the history associated with the Kansas City and "prohibition". Well worth the visit.

We came for a 72nd Bday. We took the tour and our guide was excellent. We enjoyed the history movie about Tom and the tasting was exceptional. Afterwards we had dinner. I had the deep fried deviled eggs with the eggplant appetizer and Bday boy had the steak. I would give all the food we ate a 10! Robert our waitstaff was on top of everything all evening. Great experience! Thanks to all at Tom’s…. PS: even Shadow was up to par with his greetings to the distillery room!

My 2 sisters and I had a great experience at Tom's Town. We got there early for the tour we had scheduled so we had a drink at the bar first. The bartender was awesome - very knowledgeable about the drinks, the products, the history. Our tour guide, Kait, was wonderful. Very fun, engaging and full of fun facts and information! We ended the night in the downstairs pop up Halloween Speakeasy. The decorations were awesome and the food and drinks were wonderful. Highly recommend the tour for anyone wanting to learn more about the history of Tom's Town and KC!

What a fun experience. Did the distillery tour and then had cocktails afterwards. Do it with friends, as a date or by yourself. So much history was told and great spirits were consumed.

We come here a few times a year and the service and drinks are always great. I recommend taking the tour, it has a lot of information about the history of Tom's Town and the building. At the end of the tour you sample some of their craft spirits. Oh, go at Christmas time aswell, they do a great job of getting you in the mood for the holiday season. 8-27-2025, last night my wife and I joined the bottling crew. We helped filling and labeling bottles of vodka. It was fun and we got to meet others that also help with the bottling process.

We came in to enjoy a light meal and drinks with friends to catch up about 6:30p. The server was attentive but not. It got better once the food got there. I believe she was also taking tables on the patio so that may be why it was a little off. The food was good all the way around except for my 7layer dip. That was my fault because I was expecting nachos and not toppings in a bowl with chips on the side. I ordered the queso and sour cream on the side and the server looked at me like, okay. She knew something I didn't...obviously 🫤 My friend ordered a Moscow mule and it came in a glass not in a copper cup. She was high key disappointed because this is her favorite. She ended up ordering a Modelo instead. All other drinks were delicious. Now, I've been to Granfalloon before and had a delicious black bean burger, fish tacos, and more. This particular time was just meh. So I'm changing my rating for the purpose of previous experiences as well as this one. Enjoy!

The food was sooo good for a bar type place. Prices were decent. Only issue was 2 in our group did not get their food until 10 minutes after everyone else.

I had a great time at a work event at the restaurant. The waitresses were incredibly friendly. Very attentive to our event. The atmosphere was a little loud, but tolerable. Overall, this seems to be a great happy hour place and based on the food service, worth getting a meal.

Food is 5 stars every time! The staff is so friendly. The food is always amazing. They are a good option for late night food if you are looking for places to eat that are open late. My favorite is the Mac and cheese but the key is the blackened chicken 🔥 the brisket tacos with rice are amazingggg. I’ve never been disappointed by anything I’ve tried here.

Cozy little spot in a neat little neighborhood. The ambiance was amazing, our server engaging, polite and attentive and the food was classy. I had scallops with black truffle risotto, but even better was the Chicken Liver Mousse!! This place is the total package for a classy romantic (or business romantic LOL) evening. While we typically celebrate special occasions at a different French restaurant, after meeting Chef-Owner Romain Monnoyeur, I was intrigued to check out his place. And I’m so glad we did. From the moment we stepped inside, the cozy yet lively ambiance made us feel right at home. Our evening started with an incredible amuse-bouche—a beautifully pan-seared scallop alongside freshly harvested white asparagus and a creative twist on focaccia with a strawberry-infused topping. This unexpected combination set the stage for what would be an exceptional meal. We then indulged in the PEI mussels, which were bathed in a unique broth of coconut, curry, fennel, and cilantro—a bold choice for a modern French restaurant, but it worked beautifully. The flavors were complex yet balanced, and we appreciated the large spoon our server thoughtfully provided to enjoy every last drop of the delicious broth. Next came the seared scallops with black truffle risotto, finished with a citrus vinegar drizzle, tableside. This dish was pure decadence—rich, creamy, and bursting with umami. For the main course, I had the steak frites with maître d’hôtel butter and Béarnaise sauce. The house-cut fries, served with traditional mayonnaise and ketchup, were absolutely killer. The steak itself was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, exactly as it should be. To complement the meal, I enjoyed a glass of Bordeaux, while my wife opted for a martini—which she raved about. For dessert, we shared a piece of house-made banana cake, topped with caramelized bananas and what I believe was a scoop of gelato. To make the evening even more special, the staff added a candle for my wife to blow out, which was a thoughtful touch. Both Chef Romain and his business partner Kevin took the time to visit our table, making us feel like truly welcomed guests. Their passion for hospitality was evident in every detail. Our table, located near the bar area, provided a perfect vantage point to take in the entire restaurant and the vibrant energy of Westport outside. Stepping out of the house for a night like this was exactly what we needed. Westport Café exceeded our expectations with its warm atmosphere, impeccable service, and inventive, flavor-packed dishes. My wife and I moved to Kansas City from Washington, DC, a city with exceptional dining. Over the past year, we’ve explored many restaurants across KC, and Westport Café is now one of our absolute favorites. It easily stands above the finest bistros in America. I dare say in Paris, too. Dining here felt especially personal for me. My father was French, from Lyon, just like Westport’s executive chef. He opened the first Vietnamese restaurant in DC in 1971, serving presidents, dignitaries, and diplomats. Hospitality was his art form, and walking into Westport Café brought back memories of him. The bistro’s warm, unpretentious elegance, the glowing bar, the buzz of conversation, the thoughtful details felt both nostalgic and new. I know my father would have loved it here. The food was outstanding. You must try the truffle focaccia. The steak frites was perfectly executed: tender, flavorful, and accompanied by crisp, classic shoestring golden fries. The grouper, a MUST! The coconut curry mussels were a standout (ask for additional bread for the luxurious broth!), unexpected, fragrant, and deeply satisfying. The desserts were exceptional, featuring classic French technique and just the right creative twist. What I especially appreciated was that this isn’t strict, classical French fare, and that should be celebrated. The chef is confident enough in his foundation to blend in international nuances that elevate the dishes in surprising and delightful ways. It’s French cuisine that honors tradition without being confined by it. The service was just as memorable. Meghan, the General Manager, offered impeccable front-of-house hospitality. She was warm, inviting, polished, and genuine. Also, throughout the meal, she was attentive. We felt welcomed immediately. She is a GM to be studied by other establishments. And John, our server, was extraordinary. His encyclopedic knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and even the chef’s story made the entire experience feel curated and intimate. As someone who grew up and worked front of the house of an award-winning restaurant, these two lead with confidence and precision. The restaurant is lucky to have them. Westport Café is a gem. It’s the kind of place that lingers with you, in memory and feeling. We are already looking forward to our next visit. We will be back for their Tuesday night steak and frites special, to celebrate a birthday, an anniversary, or any occasion that requires a beautiful atmosphere, joy, and impeccable food.

I'm glad we chose to get a variety of Hors d'Oeuvres because they were all phenomenal! Combine that with the foccaccia bread with garlic spread and arugula and you cannot go wrong! We made s reservation for a Saturday night and it was needed because the place was busy with an active vibe. The wine pours were generous and the wine complimented the food well. The service was friendly and attentive and was an integral part of an overall excellent experience. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We are looking forward to coming again and/or trying a custom meal at Cezanne as well. Last but.not least the gentleman who delivered the Hors d'Oeuvres sampler tray to us took the time to explain each item on the platter which further improved the overall experience.

Had a company event here and it was great. Staff were super friendly and made good drinks. There were many activities like bowling and driving range simulators, though the latter was out of order. The music wasn't too loud though I wish it were quieter. Overall, it was a good time.

Highly disappointing , definitely understand why others have told me this place has gone downhill! I hadn’t been here in a few years and we stopped in for some food after a concert this weekend, there was hardly anyone in the place, some 20 something’s playing some of the games, however, no one ever asked us if they could take our order or if we wanted anything to drink. After walking up to a couple of people to let them know that we were interested in ordering we sat down at a table for a while and had multiple staff members walked by us without saying anything. We got up and went to Johnny Tavern’s, which, although it was packed, we got good service and even better food. Can’t see this place staying in business much longer.

Had an excellent Girls’ Night Out at No Other Pub! They had excellent thematic cocktails and like the Cotton Candy Cosmo which was expertly made by our bartender Mo and super fun and delicious! Absolutely excellent service by JB, she made us a custom cocktail that we’ll definitely be coming back for!! Highly recommend this venue for any Girls’ Night Out events, bachelorette parties, etc.

Jordan and destiny were absolutely fantastic!!! I had just gotten off a really rough week at work and the two of them really made my entire night. Their cheerful and uplifting personalities really made the whole bar shine! I can’t wait to come back and see them!!!!!

The hostess (don’t remember her name, 40’s, blonde) and the bartender Jordan were very helpful on a busy Saturday night. The type of fast and helpful service you don’t usually find at busy bars on Saturday.

Fun place for a private event. When it’s open to the public and at peak hours, I can imagine that it’s less fun. But we had no wait time to play any of the games. Beer pong, foosball, bowling, golf, shuffleboard, cornhole, darts, ping pong, and arcade basketball/skeeball. Great fun all around, except that you can’t slide on the bowling floor and the golf area only had one ball that wasn’t shattered. The appetizers and BBQ for food were decent. Don’t expect outstanding BBQ here though. Drinks were ok, but I expected to see more local options on tap. When we went, they only had Boulevard Brewing’s Raspberry Rocket Pop hard seltzer.

A somewhat upper scale restaurant with a pleasant slightly darker relaxed atmosphere. A little outdoor seating. A nice little lounge area just inside. The music played on vinyl was reminiscent of, but NOT David Bowie. The Pommes Frites, lightly breaded French fries, with parsley flakes and a port wine ketchup were very crispy and the sauce was good if served with too little. Couldn't really taste the garlic on them. The pan seared Lion's Mane Mushroom dish was pretty good, the mushrooms were well cooked and had a good texture, although they could have been a little crispier on the outside for my taste. The flavors were varied and interesting. The piquillo pistachio relish was pleasant and added some depth. The sauce verte was also good, although very kicky with black pepper and another strong herb that I can't quite place - somewhat citrusy. The radishes were nicely cooked, the pureed cauliflower was pleasant. The sherry miso sauce didn't really show through much amid the other flavors. The leeks ... had a nice flavor, but the outer half of the layers were almost impossible to cut with a sharp knife or chew - so that put a bit of a damper on the dish and made it a little frustrating to eat. The service was welcoming, knowledgeable of their dishes, and friendly. I have had some really good food from Voltaire at an event before. This visit was interesting to try, and probably worth trying, but I wouldn't quite say that it lived up to the price vs other options.

We stumbled upon Voltaire in the stockyard district on Saturday after going to the antique shops and I’m so glad we did. First and foremost, they have happy hour on Saturdays! Yes, happy hour on Saturdays with $7 old fashioneds, gin and tonics, and great food options. The atmosphere, seating, and lighting is 10/10 with music played from an old school record player. We ordered fries to start off and they came out hot, fresh, and crispy with the best port wine ketchup I’ve ever had. Our cocktails were fantastic and the bartenders definitely knew their stuff. We also got the brussel sprouts which were absolutely amazing. We will 100% be back for a date night dinner!

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent drinks. At first I was skeptical because it isn’t really my type Of atmosphere. But when you walk in and it’s a friendly greeting and people all around just being themselves it makes you feel pretty at home. I only rated 4 stars on atmosphere just because it can get a little too loud to hear the person across the table at times. Will always come back here for fun nights out.

Lovely laidback little cocktail bar with Sinatra on the record player and the most unique and delightfully delicious curated cocktail menu you ever did explore. Fantastic food menu and excellent HH. LOVE IT

The milk punch is great, muscles are fantastic, fries with the muscles is the way to go. Every time we visit, we come here and it's always amazing.

Oh garçon! I'll have what I'M having! When I first dined at this establishment, I ordered some red wine and the grilled octopus. As I drank from my chalice of truth, I stared into my plate for five minutes. It is here that I saw the face of God. The building and decor merit awe. The bar, hewn of wood, the floor, of tile. They harken back to an era so distant, one might mistake it for a fading dream. The nostalgia! As a Pat Benatar vinyl record spun, I took my first bite. Then a second. A third. The flavor grew louder and louder. I could feel it throughout my entire body, buzzing. "Hippity hoppity, tippity toppity, taste don't stoppity!" I shouted towards the vaulted ceiling. Very good date night spot.

Ate the pommes frites, the shrimp and crab hush puppies were TO DIE FOR, steak meal and ravioli. All were great. Finished it with their in house melon sorbet which I would buy by the pint if I could. The service was amazing and food came fast. Loved the cocktails!

I have had other people go to this place and have told me mixed experiences here 🍀 but I guess it’s unusual to say the least that the door man has always been nice 😊 and upfront with me and that I don’t believe that I meant any harm or tried to cross boundaries with people or make anybody uncomfortable but unfortunately my time here has expired and that I only have fond memories of being here at this place….. From watching games, to hanging with friend’s and running into familiar face’s through out the city it has made me come to realize who the true runner uppers are and who runs this place should know that it’s a business and since I’m not a big spender here 💸 and don’t believe that I had done anything so horrible to where I should be banned from this place not trying to make people wonder if I’m friendly or not but in all reality I mutually respect the bar’s decision and appreciate them allowing me to be here in the past I am not a trouble maker or a problem solver but I will continue to keep a rich mentality and move on away from this Establishment 🫡

Negative stars if I could. Tiny door guy with glasses and the little bigger door guy are the most disrespectful people I’ve ever come in contact with in my entire life. Do not waste a penny at this place in your life. I have been here multiple times but this was probably the last time I will be trying to go. Somebody got roofied here at Kelly’s and despite being accompanied by her friends they couldn’t look out for her safety she wasn’t completely under the influence and somehow she lost consciousness after drinking out of her cup, somehow she pass out and showed very little to no signs of being aware of her surroundings, she was later taken out on a stretcher and looked as if she almost nearly died….. There have been many stories about this place having a reputation of being shallow about things and being very harsh about other stuff that might not be a big deal. But this was no laughing matter, whoever served her that drink should be cautious and remember NOT to leave your drink *unattended*

A classic Kansas City establishment! This bar and family opens its arms to the Down syndrome community and throws us a giant, amazing party each year, all costs covered. Absolutely incredible!

Great place to hang out at. Pretty good beer selection and live music. There's also a pizza place inside to get something to eat. The pizza was good too. There was a line to get in when I left.

This place was an amazing vibe! Every server seemed to be supportive of each other and would constantly step in to help out whether it was their table or not. The drinks were good and so was the food. Music was also super 2000s centric and everybody enjoyed.

This place has all the character you could ask for in a “gathering place”. A friend told me about this “bar that looks like the inside of an old ship.” I was intrigued, so I went for lunch. The gumbo was delicious. Also, who knew fried green beans were so amazing?!? I sat at the bar, and being a noobie, the bar tender took really good care of me. It was overall a pretty great experience. I am looking forward to catching some live music.

Really unique and fun atmosphere here at The Ship! Interior is decorated like an old wooden ship. Bathrooms are single rooms and have doors with faux porthole. Really fits with the theme. Service in the afternoon on a Saturday was great. Told our server that we were in for a few appetizers and drinks but had to leave in 45 m. Our food, drinks and check were all out in 12 minutes. The fried green beans are wonderful! The fried pickle chips are crispy and perfect. We will be visiting again when we have the urge to shop in the West Bottoms!

The Ship is a themed restaurant with lots of history and character. The restaurant was clean and spacious. Service was a little slow paced but very polite and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. The food was spicy and yummy.

What a unique hidden gem in the West Bottoms! We stumbled upon this bar & restaurant looking for places to grab a drink with a unique theme. We made it to The Ship, parking just across the street (free). We sat at the bar and experienced the most genuine bartender service. She not only was calm and kind, but also extremely talented behind the bar. I love my espresso martinis and can confirm I had the best one of my life here! Our group also enjoyed the lavender lemonade and blackberry jalepenos margaritas. We will certainly be back and can’t wait to add food to our visit.

We had pita and hummus as an entree. We split a ruben sandwich and fries. It was delicious. I liked how the place looks like a submarine.

I never give 5 star unless everything is perfection—HOWEVER this visit was pretty damn close! The club salad was FULL of blue cheese, prosciutto goodness along with artichokes and tomatoes and much more! The pesto chicken sandwich and fries was amazing. The chicken is pounded thin which is the perfect canvas for the arugula and red pepper salad. The fries were crispy greatness. Super impressed!

Pretty good place to chill, hang and grab a bite to eat or late small dinner. Had chicken wings with a banging sauce, bacon wrapped shrimp with their homemade dipping sauce, and the oh so unforgettable spinach and artichoke dip. They even give you chips and pita bread with spinach dip. Never seen that before 👍🏽 drink are at least 10 bucks, beers are a good 4/5. Have been back several times including only to order food lol

Went in Saturday. Finally flagged down a waitress. Ordered our drinks. 20 minutes later still nothing. Seen her texting on her phone. Got up and left. Bartender didn’t seem to care either. No impressed with this place at all.

One of the bars a bottle water was $2, another was $1, the other was $3. Consistency would have been nice, especially since I don't drink alcohol. I just wanted a safe fun place to dance. On the dance floor someone had spilled drinks and it didn't get cleaned up because my shoes were sticking and it made it hard to dance in some areas. The DJ never played my song.but the show was fun and all the dancers were amazing!

I had been meaning to come here earlier but made my first visit after the pandemic for my mother's birthday. There's a 10 dollar cover charge and IDs are checked at the door- cool cool no underage kiddos here. Everyone who works there is super nice and friendly, bartenders, bouncer, you name it. The drag show was right on time and super fun! The drag queens and kings have great shows and song choices too, they're definitely fun and full of energy! The drinks were good but definitely strong. The bomb pop honest to God tastes exactly like one. Keep in mind it's cash only so be prepared with cash or use the ATM in the building. The place itself is pretty big with multiple levels but if you want to sit close to the stage for any shows get there earlier as it's harder to see at the tables in the far back area closer to the bar.

We arrived on a Sunday evening to be very pleasantly surprised by one of the best drag shows I’ve had the privilege of seeing. Which really, was the cherry on top of a wonderful experience. Being from Omaha, this place put me in mind of a harmonious combination of the best parts of The Max & Flixx. It’s a gorgeous space, with the perfect balance of approachable dive and class. The gentleman working behind the bar was extremely efficient, mindful and polite. They also have a slushy machine, which was a delightful, life ruining surprise. It helped to ease the pain of completely bombing the song I selected for bonus karaoke, which began at 12:30. Tony, the security detail, was among the best I’ve seen during the many years I’ve worked hospitality. He was extraordinarily aware, personable, and capable. I have no doubts whatsoever that Tony has a sixth sense and can smell trouble before it even materializes. Every bar needs a Tony. Missie B’s was a perfect way to end a quick weekend getaway of debauchery. If you’re in the area, get yourself a slushy. Make some new friends. You’ll have an absolute blast!

Missie’s is THE gay bar of KC. All the other bars wish they were her. The best drag performances in town, dance floor gets lit on the weekends, reasonably priced drinks, they got a little shop upstairs where you can buy fun adult stuff, a cig machine downstairs, and most certainly one of the safest and most diverse bars around- I feel like I can really be myself here. Be careful with their margaritas, they’re delicious and strong as hell— you might wanna call outta work the next morning.

Never really had food from there but the staff is always top notch. People who frequent the establishment are quite friendly. I have never felt unsafe there. It is in actually a pretty quiet part of the city. Really enjoy going and I'm going back tonight.

Every time we go here, it’s an amazing experience! The staff are always extremely supportive in fostering a safe environment in which people from many backgrounds can be themselves and enjoy the night. Tony (security/staff) and David (bartender) always make us feel like family, and the drag queens as well!

Literally one of the best parts about my Kansas trip , musical mondays was hilarious, the host made us feel super welcomed being out of towners, and the karaoke after topped the whole night , everyone was so welcoming to everyone’s songs and wasn’t afraid to sing along 10/10 experience I loved it , 4 stars only because it was cash only

5/5 on the food!!! Came here for dinner one day. The sliders are amazing 🍔. The pretzels 🥨 are perfect. So soft and I love the salt. The cheese was great that came with it. Food is great. I have been here at night for a bar experience too and it’s not bad either!

Stopped in here for dinner to meet with friends in KC for a night. Was looking for late night eats and this spot popped up. Menu had a nice variety without being overwhelming. We shared the hummus trio appetizer and it was flavorful and refreshing. I had a patty melt with potato salad, it was very good and not overwhelming greasy like typical bar food. The best part was dessert, we got banana cream pie and raspberry donut cheesecake. Would definitely come back for a late night bite!

The inside has some really remarkable woodwork and character. Definitely a trade gone by the wayside. Their Margherita pizza was different than expected, but was good nonetheless. Maybe it's a regional thing, as I noticed this elsewhere, but the pizza was a very good thin crust with tomato sauce and basil toppings and cheese. I was expecting an olive oil with tomatoes and cheese. Either way, it was very good and I should have got the larger one. Jeremy, behind the bar is a cool dude as well.

Enjoyed espresso martinis on the patio on a beautiful day. The environment is absolutely wonderful and the vibe in Westport feels good. Especially like the two beat tops that walked by. Hometown safety makes me feel good.

I’ve done my 10,000 hours in KC bars… Without question this is the best one with the best patio. Its ambience is only bested by its world class staff. The bar tender, servers, kitchen staff and management are the best I’ve found in any city. If you have one night in this city this is the bar where you should spend your time.

Better hummus than Jerusalem cafe. Better Guinness than both the Irish Market and Blarney Stone. Better service and cooler waitstaff than anywhere else in the city. I have no idea what possesses them to go this hard, but the city is better for it. I just wish they had more vegan protein options. I can only eat so much hummus with my Guinness, however good it is. 🥲

Location, location, location! Stopped in after the Pride parade, and our service was fantastic even thug it was supet BUSY. The bartender stopped at our table to see if we were good and he was the only one behind the bar. It was great for people watching with all the windows. A++

The first night I wandered in to Drastic Measures, I couldn’t believe I was in Shawnee, with the moody, yet somehow still easy going vibes (truly flawless). After trying the Kill Bill, I kept saying to my friend, “I can’t believe a bar of this caliber is HERE right in my hometown!” They always have something new in the works, so it’s easy to find an excuse for another return visit. The whole staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and will take the time to help you choose a cocktail that suits your personal tastes. The drinks are never boring, and I love the “give-back” philosophy of the owners as they often have events where sales are donated to local non-profits.

Stopped by on Saturday evening and was seated immediately. They have comfy seating and a great atmosphere. Our server checked on us several times and both of the drinks that I ordered came out super fast and were very tasty. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area.

My partner and I have gone to Drastic Measures many times and recommended it to all of our friends and coworkers. I was very excited for the return of the Jurassic Park theme, but saw that the menu art online was AI Generated. For an establishment that seemed to mirror our support for artists, teachers, and community, the decision to use exploitative AI Art canceled our evening. Crayon art from a child would have been better . . . actually, crayon dinosaur art from children would have been a strong selling point, and cost the owners as much as this AI garbage. Don't use AI and you'll get my money.

Drastic Measures is a spectacular bar with a captivating speakeasy vibe. The entrance with an old-fashioned knock on the door if the light is green is a charming touch that sets the tone for a memorable experience. Inside, the dim lighting creates an intimate atmosphere that makes you forget about the outside world. The service throughout the visit was impeccable and made me feel like a valued guest. But the true standout at Drastic Measures is the creative and delicious drink menu. The mixologists have created fantastic cocktails that I've never tasted before. My personal favorite was the "College dropout," which tasted like a perfect mix of spices and alcohol. If you're looking for a sophisticated and enjoyable night out, Drastic Measures should be at the top of your list.

This place is really amazing. The food menu is not extensive, but every item is well thought out and very tasty. The cocktails are center stage. The orange negroni is a marvel.

Went here last night for dinner and had a great time. The atmosphere is super cool, and not too loud to enjoy a great date. I really like how the menu here is well curated with care. It's a small menu and everything on the menu is great. My favorite thing was the carpaccio with a black garlic thousand island sauce with arugula and sunchokes. Next time I'm here I'm ordering one for myself. I really loved how many unique eastern European wines they had on their menu.

Very limited menu, but everything was delicious. The martini is one of the best in KC and served with a few accoutrements.

Our experience began poorly when our party of four was seated at the bar when there were plenty of tables open. Our out of town guests requested a diet Coke or diet Pepsi and was told they only have Mexican Coke. We then ordered sourdough as an appetizer which came burnt. Finally my partner and I both ordered their smash burger as it’s the only item that seemed filling and affordable. At this point the experience car felt redeemable until we got the single patty smash burger that has no sides for $16. A bun, single patty, onions, pickles, cheese. $16. We bit into the burger and it was the saltiest thing we ever ate. My partner found the waiter to get ketchup which was given to us in a tie dye bottle. We also had to go to the bar to ask for more water because it was so salty and no one had come to refill in sometime. It wasn’t worth sending the burger back as again it was the only thing on the menu comparable to a meal that doesn’t break the bank. By the end of it we spent $90 (including tip, wait staff was fine) for burnt bread ($6), snack sized gnocchi that is supposed to be a meal ($22), two smash burgers that should only be served at a dive bar for $5 ($16 each), and a drink. Save yourself the trip and the money. Ambience is meh too.

By far the best smash burger I’ve had in Kansas City. The flavor was absolutely amazing and the green beans were delicious as well. The service was sub par but the atmosphere, food, and drinks made up for it. Will definitely be back to try the mustard seed cocktail and have another burger!

We had an issue with the fried catfish that could have either been a parasite or just part of the fish. The waitress took the dish and actually brought it back expecting us to continue eating it instead of offering to take it back or ask if there was another dish we would like. We also had to ask to have it removed from the bill, which then had to be approved by a manager. The food was great but the customer service and how the staff handled the situation was sub par and disappointing. The guests we invited with us to dinner were shocked how the situation was handled and unfortunately neither of us will be returning.

Great vibes, good drinks iffy service. I had some seriously amazing cocktails. We had the banana stand and the fearless John both were top notch. The Italian sub also so so tasty! But I did intend to have a second beverage but couldn’t get the attention of staff to get another drink for over 30 min and it’s not very busy!

Absolutely love King G's and their strip. Get a sandwich by day at the deli, grab a one of a kind drink by late afternoon at King G's and go undercover by night at Jim's. Don't even get me started with their cheese... I have never wanted to back swim in rosemary cheese until this place 🤤 I've got two words for you .. Ya Welcome! 😉

- Please see edit below - Sitting here on a Saturday at 1pm waiting over 40 minutes for a sandwich. All the staff can say is "it's really busy". In fairness they did offer to refund me but I declined as my sandwich was ready at the same time. *Edit* - Management reached out to me and expressed genuine concern for my experience and a willingness to make it right. I do believe that they were caught a bit unaware as there was a pet shelter event happening that day that would have thrown off the scheduling for what would normally be a relatively slow paced afternoon. Food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. The U shaped bar is interesting and allows for plenty of room to order and mingle. Lots of seats and small tables for groups, clean and the clientele seemed to be enjoying themselves. I no longer drink alcohol but if I did, I would definitely come back here to check out the night scene.

Great environment with a fantastic selection of beer and cocktails. The staff is quick to greet you and are skilled at crafting delicious drinks. Be advised If you're the loner type like me, come early in the day as it's quite crowded in the evenings. Every cocktail I've had was fantastic, and a supremely well curated beer menu makes this one of the finest spots in KC. To make it better-all the food in the deli has been super tasty. Well done.

Got the pastrami on rye with extra pastrami. Meat was good, dressing decent - but the bread, was it microwaved? Warm and soggy. You gotta do the bread right. Update Nov 7 2025 - went back in and asked for rye bread toasted and it was so good. Updating to 5 stars!

Cool speakeasy spot in downtown Lee’s Summit with top notch drinks. I recently moved from Chicago and can say this place certainly compares if not better than the speakeasies in downtown Chicago. Extremely knowledgeable bartenders that really bring a show to each cocktail. Just tell them what you like and they are sure to make you something you won’t forget. Highly recommend! I loved this place! I got the Cinnamon Smoke and it was a delectable sipping drink. I didn't make a reservation on a Friday night and they were still able to squeeze me in for a bit. The menu is impressive. It boats some very unique cocktails along with an exhaustive list of whiskeys. The ambiance is relaxed, cozy, and swanky. This is the type of place you come to just sit and sip on really great drinks and let the conversation flow with your date or a group of friends. I am excited to go back. I can think of several people who would enjoy this experience with me and can't wait to bring them here. Highly recommend!

I went there this weekend (Sat 1/7) for my birthday and had a great first time experience! We started upstairs at the Monogram Lounge and then ended the night downstairs at the Hey Hey club. I wish I remembered names but the hostess was amazing and very gracious with our group of 7. After a little wait, we were all able to sit together. The bartender was fun to watch while making drinks and his suggestions did not disappoint. The cocktails were phenomenal. The service was great and I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday here! *I really wish I could remember names because they deserve the shoutout!*

So let's talk intimate, sexy, date night energy. Me and my honey came here by way of referral we did make a reservation. This area is small Speak Easy type of seating. We opted to sit at bar where we encounter an amazing mixologist her name leaves me but she was great. Opting to let her show us her gift we ask her to make us something great with whiskey. I'm an old fashioned girl but this one was special full of palette surprises. The other drink taste just as amazing. Drinks are not cheap but they are worth it I can't wait to get back and enjoy more libations soft music and great vibes.

Had the flyby (so good!) and some others that I’m forgetting the names of 😊 The French fries and the ceviche were also delicious. Amanda and Joseph were great bartenders and conversationalists. Dark, private, speak easy feeling. I felt transported back to the days of Prohibition. It felt like the 1920s. Great place to have a cocktail and a few peanuts. Bartenders were creative if you want non-alcoholic drinks, but expect food/drinks are a bit more $$$ here.

The Hey! Hey! Club is an absolute gem! It has a fantastic speakeasy vibe with a very chill atmosphere that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxed evening out. I highly recommend booking a table in advance or checking if it's closed for private events to avoid disappointment. Definitely a must-visit spot if you are visiting electric park.

My wife and I come here whenever we want an elevated cocktail experience and chill vibes. Kiera and Mad (not sure on spelling) are the creative directors. They make fantastic classic cocktails and their original menu is absolutely outstanding. 20/10 cocktails. Space and atmosphere: intimate, dim, quiet jams and able to hear each other talk. Amazing for a date night.

The best cocktail place in Kansas!!! This is my husband and I’s favorite date night spot to be at. The incredible staff there is so friendly and welcoming. The drinks are spectacular!! The Dragon’s House is a must! I love this place and would recommend you check it out.

A gem in downtown Mission. I kinda don't want to tell you guys how good it was since it's just down the street from my place... but I want them to stay in business so I'll share it all! If you like Wild Child, but it's a bit too crowded for you then The Primrose is your spot. It's just a more comfortable experience! If you're solo, sit at the bar and chat with the crew. If you're in a group there are plenty of couches to take over. I felt like the drinks were fairly priced and the staff were happy to make recommendations. They also have a pretty impressive bar, so if you just want a standard cocktail like a martini or old fashion then you have that option. Mocktail recommendation: Blushing Bride! It did not disappoint! Favorite cocktail: Lavender Haze was the vote of our table! Light and refreshing, but it will get you there. Food: we didn’t get to try it this visit, but I’ll be back because that whipped feta sounds divine! Note: the entrance and front seating is wheelchair accessible. The bathroom would be a challenge because the door is very narrow and has no grab bars.

The Primrose in Mission offers a nice, relaxed atmosphere with a decent selection of cocktails. The interior has a cozy, upscale feel, and the drinks are well-crafted and flavorful. However, while it's a pleasant spot for a drink, there are definitely other cocktail bars in Kansas City that stand out more. The menu is solid but not particularly unique, and the vibe, while enjoyable, doesn’t quite set it apart from other places in the city. Service is generally good, but the overall experience doesn't quite reach the level of some of KC's more notable cocktail spots. Overall, The Primrose is a fine choice for a casual evening out, but if you're looking for a more distinctive or memorable cocktail experience, you might want to explore some of the other standout bars in Kansas City.

My husband and I love this place for date night. We live nearby and it’s always our go-to. The drinks are amazing. My favorite is the urban coffee expresso martini. It’s small and quaint! I love the way they designed it. They don’t take reservations so get there early. Love this cocktail bar and so glad they opened in Mission. They decorated so cute for Christmas this year too.

This was my first time here. As such, I was hoping for a warm welcome. I found a comfortable place to sit (couch and chairs) and have a conversation with a friend. We had made a reservation in advance. When I sat down I was immediately told that if a larger party came in she, the bartender, would have to move us. Not a pleasant way to greet a new customer I have to say. That aside, the bartender did make a drink from a recipe I had on my phone and was accomodating in that way. Since she did go out of her way to do this I awarded Primrose 4 stars and not the 3 I was first unclined to give. I suggest larger parties make a reservation in advance. I suggest if you don't and you come in with a larger party, that you push together the smaller tables. It does not seem fair to guests to have to be moved. It left a sour experience for me and I will not be back.

I cannot say enough good things about The Monarch Room!!! We got married here in Dec 2024 and it could not have been more perfect. The space is beautiful, it’s open and customizable in so many ways, the staff were wonderful to work with the entire time we were planning and the day of (and even after), the pricing is reasonable and includes SO much, the list goes on and on. Megan & team - thank you so much! 10/10 recommend.

We had our both our wedding ceremony and reception at the Monarch Room on 6/14/25 and we are so happy with our choice to go with them! The size was perfect for our 130 guests and the large windows brought in so much natural light, it was stunning. We had a decent amount of out of town guests and the location was perfect for them. Megan was incredibly easy to work with and super responsive. We loved being able to bring in our own vendors. The only thing I was nervous about was the transition from ceremony to reception but Megan’s team executed it flawlessly and it was done so quickly. We actually joined our full cocktail hour so I saw the whole thing and was very happy with it. Overall, we thought the Monarch Room was a perfect choice and a great value. We’d pick them over and over again!

We got married on a special holiday for Kansas City 8.16.2024 (816 Day) and couldn’t have choose a more perfect venue! The Monarch Room was everything we needed from the open bar package, open vendor, bridal and groom suite ( my husband loved his area and still talks about it lol) to make our wedding so memorable not only for ourselves, but the people that shared the love for us on our big day and that’s only some of the best part of The Monarch Room! Meghan was an absolute joy to work with! From beginning to end, she always responded to my questions in a timely manner. The wedding venue is absolutely stunning, with a beautiful bridal suite and unlike many other venues, they also have a grooms suite. Look no further, this is the venue you need for your next big event!

We had a great experience using the Monarch Room for our wedding/reception venue. The owner, Megan, is very easy to work with and was helpful with our planning process. Shout out for being one of the only venues in downtown KC with the option to BYOB! There is a required charge to use the venue’s bartenders, but still well worth it. Venue is beautiful and was easy to decorate. Also she allowed us to bring our dog (best boy in our wedding party) so he could celebrate with us as well! Wedding was a great time!

Heidi and the bartenders were a great help! The place is very nice and clean. The biggest problem is parking not ideal at all. One block away from a gas station that was not safe after dark. There were police posted on either end of the block watching. Overall, I would rent this event space if you don't have a lot of elderly

Gram & Dun came highly recommended to us! It’s located in a lovely area & easy to walk around. We enjoyed the stroll around the shops. We came for lunch. It was amazing! So delicious! The restaurant was lovely. Service was excellent. They were very attentive. The menu had plenty of yummy options. We tried a roasted chicken sandwich & fresh greens salad. Gumbo was delicious! Everything was delicious! We really enjoyed our lunch. I highly recommend visiting Gram & Dun?

We come here almost every time we visit KC, and almost always for Brunch on Sunday before we head home. So good. The food, beverages, and always excellent service! PS, make sure to get the fresh fruit. So good.

We were invited by the manager to come in for a meal and after just a few bites, my husband and I began planning our next date night to revisit. The service was top tier, food was delicious and fast. Fresh. Our server was so kind and sweet, and even made a VERY welcomed food suggestion (fried jalapenos with the spinach artichoke dip, to die for). I cannot say enough positive things. I cannot wait to return. Thank you for a memorable first anniversary meal.

I am an out-of-towner and was told to explore Country Club Plaza. I stopped here for lunch and sat in the bar area. The place looks nice and is unique. The service was great and the food was delicious. And they had Magnum PI on the TV. 🤣

Food was good, but the drinks were just okay. Our waitress was very nice - she should get a raise! It was kind of loud there, hard to hear each other but could make out what we were saying well enough. It was kind of hot by the window, almost like a greenhouse. Overall would recommend!

The food was a bit mediocre for the price we are paying. The lobster risotto wasn’t as flavorful as I expected and there were only a few pieces at the top. The appetizers were decent at best but the presentation was good. The lamb was wonderful, it was tender and had tons of flavor. The hanger steak was not that good and sushi was ok.

We had a retirement celebration there for an employee and the service was excellent. The food was hot and good including the appetizers down to the restroom. The servers were awesome and kept everyone cups full. Prices for the food and liquor is great for the quality and quantity of food they bring out to you. Atmosphere and lighting were good.

We had Nancy as our server and let me tell you—if service were an Olympic sport, she’d have taken gold while simultaneously shaking our espresso martinis table-side like a cocktail ninja. Attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and more polished than the silverware—Nancy is the Beyoncé of steakhouse service. Started off strong with the bone-in ribeye—juicy, flavorful, and probably still thinking about it. Béarnaise sauce? Oui oui. Mashed potatoes were creamy clouds of comfort. Lobster mac? Straight-up seafood poetry. Like, if mac and cheese went to Harvard, met a lobster, and fell in love. Coconut cream pie came in hot (well, cold—but you get it). Delicious, rich, and flirty… though the crust was a touch sweet, like it was trying a little too hard at dessert prom. Still ate the whole thing because I’m no quitter. Espresso martinis were shaken right next to our table—nothing says luxury like watching someone do bar acrobatics 3 feet from your face. 10/10 would sip again. Only hiccup? Bread was MIA until we asked, and the butter was straight out of an iceberg. But Nancy looked like she personally felt the betrayal of that bread delay, and honestly, I’d forgive her for anything short of arson. Moody steakhouse vibes, great lighting, free easy parking, and just steps away from enough shopping to work off the ribeye guilt. Will return. Will order lobster mac. Will bring my own room-temperature butter just in case.

We dined in the bar/lounge area. I really enjoyed the vibe in there. Our server Melissa was fantastic! This was one of the best services I’ve had in Kansas City. Melissa’s knowledge of the menu, and what wine to pair with what appetizers, entrees and desert was impressive. All her recommendations were perfect. So we decided to start off with the “Generous Poor” wine tasting where they select 3 whites and 3 reds. For my entree I got the Ribeye which Melissa also recommended. She suggested the mash potatoes and brussels sprouts which complemented the steak perfectly. The pinot noir was so good with this dish. She also suggested we try the crème brûlée cheesecake and the espresso chocolate cake paired with the rosé white wine. And let me tell you… this was amazing! Perfect date night 10 out of 10 on everything and I’ll be back to see Melissa again to try more of her recommendations.

Booked the beer tour. $17 per ticket. 5 beers come with this. Two were great, the rest were mid / wouldn’t drink them again. Tour guide was good. Fun experience, got to learn about the brewing process. Was with a friend who was a couple minutes late. They took her ticket, which you can turn in for 2 free beers, and gave her just one free beer ticket. It was very odd considering she technically paid for the 5 beers that come with the tour. Better be early or right on time… or you will just lose your money

This was a fantastic experience. We took the tour and our 2 tour guides were top notch! I’m not a beer drinker, husband likes beer, but I found that I loved Quirk, pineapple, orange whip. It was fun and relaxing!

Great selection of beers and food. Went with the Oktoberfest, tis the season. Also snagged a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant 🤤 Really cool brewery with a great patio balcony to relax on. The service was always with a smile!

Wonderful brewery featuring a large selection of beers including many interesting experimental beers. The tap house is 2 stories and includes a great gift shop, bar area, and history of beer. Tours are also available of the brewery.

Their seltzers were hit and miss. They packed a punch of flavor -- especially enjoyed the cherry blossom and lime, and strawberry, lemon, basil. The service wasn't necessarily the friendliest but wouldn't stop me from coming back again. Their facility is stunning.

Food is good! Great vibes!! Their Fling cocktails are perfect! Just wish they were available on the East coast. Thank goodness Boulevard Brewery is also at the KC airport; I was able to have Paloma Fling before heading home.

First time at Beer Kitchen and it was a great experience. Best burger I've had in a while. Service was attentive, friendly, and fast. Appreciated the mocktail was full size. Would definitely come again!

Oh my gosh, I had Naomi’s burger here that had burnt ends on top of it!! I used the Char bar ketchup, and it was delicious. I ordered a sweet potato fries and they are exceptional even though regular french fries are always my favorite.

This is a very nice spot. Spacious and well decorated. Customer service is very good. I was acknowledged as soon as I got in. I sat at the bar as I was making a to go order. I ordered the brisket nachos and while I was waiting I was given a glass of water that I didn't have to ask for. The food came quickly and was delivered to me with a smile. All in all it was a pleasant transaction and I definitely will be going back.

Beer Kitchen in KC truly exceeded our expectations for a birthday brunch celebration! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was lively and inviting. Our server, Lohgann, was absolutely phenomenal. We were celebrating a friend who primarily speaks Spanish, and Lohgann went above and beyond to ensure she felt completely comfortable and understood, even using their phone to translate! That level of personalized, inclusive customer service is truly remarkable and rarely seen. To start, we ordered the baby donuts and waffle sticks, and wow, what an excellent choice! They were absolutely delicious and the perfect way to kick off our meal. For our main courses, we enjoyed the waffle and chicken, a perfectly cooked salmon, and the avocado egg Benedict – every dish was top-notch and bursting with flavor. We highly recommend Beer Kitchen, not only for their fantastic food but especially for their outstanding service. A huge thank you to Lohgann for creating such an excellent and inclusive space for us to celebrate our friend's birthday. We will definitely be back!

We were seated quickly, service was perfect! We were surprised to be seated quickly it was pride parade weekend and it was definitely lively and loud, not the normal atmosphere but we didn't mind. Enjoyed a few of our favorites. We brought our out of town family to enjoy the local fair.

The food was awesome! There were so many cool beer options. They had a good selection on tap, a good variety of cans and bottles, and even had some really cool imported options from overseas.

Beer Kitchen in Kansas City has some seriously tasty food. The truffle fries were a standout, especially with their variety of aioli's. The horseradish aioli was to die for (I’ve even tried to recreate it at home) and I’d definitely order those fries again. The mini sliders were good, though if you’re really hungry, you might want a second order. I came during happy hour, and honestly, that’s when I’d recommend going. The $5 sangria was just okay, heavy on the brandy, so I’d try a different drink next time. Overall, I’d absolutely come back for the same food and to sample something new from the drink menu.

A Beautiful Restuarant overlooking Kansas City from BriarCliff Village. The food and service were both superb! For those who crave an alternative to red sauce try the Lemon Basil Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp or Fired Grilled Chicken. The dish was light and zesty but filling, it was topped with fresh basil and a flavorful wine sauce. The cheesy garlic bread dusted with parmasen added just the right texture to the plate. I would definitely eat here again.

I had the chance to stop by Trezzo Mare for lunch, and wow, what a phenomenal experience from start to finish. I ordered the smoked tomato fettuccine, and I’m still thinking about it. The sauce was rich, velvety, and full of that deep, slow-smoked flavor that clings to the pasta in the best way possible. Every bite delivered a perfect balance of freshness and depth. It’s easily one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in Kansas City. My wife and a good friend joined me, and we all agreed this place hits every mark. The service was attentive and kind without being overbearing. Our server made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting. It has that elevated yet relaxed Tuscan feel, and the location is beautiful, especially during the day. Trezzo Mare delivered on all fronts: taste, service, ambiance, and value. The food was absolutely worth every dollar, and I’ll definitely be back. If you’re in the KC area and love Italian food done with care and creativity, this place is a must.

⭐️⭐️⭐️½ — “Middle of the road, decent but not memorable” Stopped by Trezo Mare to try their happy hour menu and walked away feeling… lukewarm. The food was OK — I sampled the flatbreads, bruschetta, French fries, and tacos. Nothing was bad, but nothing wowed me either. Just average. The ambiance felt a bit dated, and the clientele skewed older — mostly retirees enjoying a quiet evening out. Not a negative, just a vibe worth noting. Service was friendly overall. Our waitress was very kind, though she did accidentally bring me something I didn’t order. No biggie — it was only $8 and not worth fussing over. Unfortunately, the bar area had a strong sewer smell that really put me off. That alone makes it unlikely I’ll return. Prices were reasonable, and the staff did their best, but ultimately, Trezo Mare felt like a “just OK” experience. Nothing particularly wrong, just not for me.

One of my top outdoor dining experiences. The day was perfect and it was for my birthday so how could lit have been bad. But the location and views were very enjoyable. Our waiter was adorable and patient. Food was incredible.

This was our first time to experience the cuisine and ambience of Trezo Mare, and we were very pleased with everything. The Bruschetta appetizer and our main entrées (Hand Cut Pork Chop--so tender and moist! and the Angel Hair with Chicken plus garlic bread), and the desserts (Tiramisu and Limoncello Cake) with tea and coffee, were all savory and delicious. Compliments to the chef(s)! Our server, Sarah, provided attentive, friendly, and excellent service; not once did we ever feel rushed at all. Since we had made reservations for 4:30 P.M. (on a Tuesday), the dining area was not crowded at first, but the tables quickly got filled up by the time we left at 6:30 P.M. with couples, small groups of 5-6 people, and a family with young children. Thanks for seating us at a booth table which gave us a great, broad view of the dining room but was also private from neighboring diners because of how tall the booths are. We enjoyed meeting the owner, Mike, who made us feel welcome; he was intentional about greeting and conversing with guests at different tables. Thank you, all, for making our anniversary dinner extra special, tasty, and memorable this evening! We will definitely return to try the other entrées and desserts and are looking forward to seeing what will be on the Fall menu.

Last night 3 of us enjoyed dinner indoors. They have a fabulous outside space, but it was little too chilly. The place was crowded, but it's so big you're not bumping elbows with anyone. We ordered the chicken & artichoke dip to start. It was tasty, but needed salt & pepper. For entrees we had walleye, halibut, and the braised short rib. All were good. The short rib was better after adding some creamy horseradish. All of the veggies that came with our meals were delicious. We splurged and split the Trezo Chocolate Bars for dessert. Hard to cut thru the 'crust' but worth the effort.......SO scrumptious. This place is consistently spot on for service and quality. If you've never tried it, you should.

Irish stew over mashed potatoes eith whiskey gravy was excellent comfort food. Husband ordered salmon with whiskey honey sauce. Angry Orchard cider for me and a Guiness for him Live music was exceptional!

Great open atmosphere with a mixed music set. Great for first dates as the seating is warmly bar lit but pricing isn't too expensive.

My husband and I stopped in for Irish adult beverages on a Sunday afternoon. We were the only customers there and sat at the bar. There was a bartender at the end of the bar talking to another employee who was sitting at the bar eating. I ordered an Irish coffee and the bartender had a discussion with the other employee trying to decide if they had the ingredients to make it. It appeared to be an inconvenience that I had ordered this. The drink was made and it was good. They only had one Irish beer available so my husband opted for an IPA. At one point the bartender told us he wasn't really suppose to be working and that he had worked the previous night. I'm not sure why we needed to know that. Service was less than enthusiastic. There was a place smack in the middle of the bar filled with crumbs that needed to be cleaned up but evidently was not going to get done any time soon by these less than motivated employees. The decor was nice but service was less than great. I doubt we will be back.

Love this place! Haven’t been here to try their food yet but I have been here several times for their DJ nights and have a blast every time! Recently visited to celebrate a birthday, bought bottle service and was impressed by the hospitality and attentiveness of the bartenders and waitresses. There was an issue with a charge and the GM Rob was very gracious, polite and helpful with getting that fixed for me. Who doesn’t love this kind of top tier service and professionalism?! Thank you O’Dowd’s for the great times, see you again!

The bartender that served us at our table, she was meh. But the food and drinks were great. I loved the Reuben Eggs Rolls and the Crab Cakes. The lights on the table were in celebration of our team pulling off a successful event.

We made reservations, but they were not necessary. We found a table pretty quickly and were asked what we wanted to drink by a gentleman that we assumed was the host (we also saw him bussing tables). Drinks came, ordered food (from same guy), food came. Food was decent. We finished our dinners, and they were cleared and then nothing. After waiting quite a while, host/busboy came and asked about our check, but we said we wanted dessert. He looked lost, but we ordered the carrot cake and coffee, but they had no cream. None. So, just one coffee. Finished dessert and just sat there. After about 15 minutes, we caught the attention of the host/busboy that had previously taken all our orders and mimed "check please". He came our way and then passed us off to the redhead that had been working tables all around us but never approached our table to complete the transaction. Needless to say our our tip was only about 15% and honestly felt bad about leaving even that since she didn't do anything. We felt completely ignored and are unlikely to ever return. Extremely disappointed.

Started out with magician Todd Lamanske doing a clever trick on my husband. He’s a regular up North and fun talent. Loved the avocado apple romaine salad with walnuts and light dressing. Enjoyed the grilled vegetable platter and added a 7 oz poached lobster tail. Loved the special halibut and goat cheese risotto. Ended the meal with fried bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. All delicious and attentive service and delivery. Give it a try, it’s a Northland gem!

Went for anniversary on a Wednesday so its wasn't packed at all. Both of us ordered ribeyes but I'm convinced that is not what we received. I have attached pictures and a video for your thoughts....1 definitely a ribeye and other more of a strip or sirloin. Mention to our waiter and also host at front but my concerns was clearly ignored. We both tried each other steak and again the taste was definitely different for both us to have medium well steaks. This place is upstairs with no elevator so keep that in mind. The waiter was indeed friendly but once I was ignored about my steak I was over the place. On anniversary night it wasn't worth taking any further since I had told 2 different people. The bacon wrapped shrimp was pretty good.

Lovely restaurant especially for a special occasion; The food is flavorful and the sides match so nicely. Everything’s we tasted was so perfectly complementing of each other. Husbands got pepercorn filet and I got the grilled filet. Dad got the mahi mahi. Calamari was delicious as well. No leftovers on table. We loved it! Atmosphere was amazing as well and service exceptional. Highly recommend.

It's been several years since we've eaten at Piropos, and the food and service certainly did not disappoint! Unfortunately the KC skyline has mostly been obscured by buildings and trees now, so the view isn't as nice as it used to be, but the atmosphere is still quite lovely for a sunset dinner. The peppercorn filet was outstanding, and don't skip the bread basket. So good! I highly recommend Piropos.

First time here, my woman surprised me for dinner on my birthday. Absolutely loved the place, such a good atmosphere to sit and talk and have drink. I highly recommend the crab cakes for an appetizer, they were so good. The entree we had were ribeyes and they were spot on. And to top off the night , we had such a lovely waitress whose name was Jackie, she helped make my night even more special, she was spot on , and was so nice. She reminded me of my mom who has been a waitress for 20 years plus. I couldn’t ask for a better night and better waitress. Jackie thank you so much again ! Definitely recommend and will come back !

We had an early dinner and even brought our babygirl with us! It was a very calm and pleasant environment. Service was 10/10 our server Jackie was very attentive and friendly. Our apps came out super quick and then our entrees shortly afterwards. Everything we ordered we loved, honestly their filet mignon was one of the best cooked steaks I’ve ever had! The kitchen was on point for sure! Our drinks were never empty & we left with our dessert to go! Super Satisfying experience and we will definitely be back!

Overall, it was just an alright experience. The memorabilia was cool and the service wad excellent. However, the food was pretty flavorless altogether. We got some nachos, Mac and cheese with fried chicken, a santa fe wrap, and cheese quesadilla. The Mac and cheese was good, but the fried chicken was chewy and flavorless. The santa fe and nachos were pretty lacking as well. The cheese quesadilla was solid. All in all, I was a little disappointed with the experience. It would be a great place for a drink and to see some sports memorabilia, but the food was just lacking for me. Again, the service was excellent as well.

This place should be talked about more! I would encourage the owners to do more promo! I only knew about it because I came here as a kid. The food is nothing to write home about. But the place is cool, if not a little dusty. When I made a reservation for a large group, they put us in a room all to ourselves for no cost which was great. However, there was no music or tv noise so it was a weirdly quiet vibe. We got lucky and got to meet Jim Chappell himself which was really cool. I would suggest promoting this place for groups - especially game watch parties and fantasy football drafts. The guys I was with have a league and they said they’d totally rent out a room and do their draft there, getting lots of food and drinks during that time.

First, the food: Their burgers are delicious! You can get them with a normal bun, or a French muffin bun, which is actually pretty good. I also partook in the Chefs special of the day which happened to be a burrito, which I am a big fan of. It doesn't taste Mexican tho, delicious in its own right, just not Mexican. Speaking of specials, they have one for every day, which just decreases the price of said item. Good deals. Second, the Service: The servers are very kind and wholesome, not to mention Shannon, who seems to have the memory of an elephant, that is to say, very good. She takes orders without needing to right them down! Absolutely insane. Maybe I just have a very poor memory... Third, the atmosphere: One of the most impressive aspects of this place, is the amount of sports memorabilia they have, goodness gracious there is a lot. It's also a big place, so that just adds to it. Very cool place regardless of the memorabilia, almost reminds me of a lodge on the inside. When its cold they have a fire going. So comfy.

Was in town for a college baseball tournament. My wife and I were looking for a local place to eat and stumbled across Chappell's. We are big sports fans so we were intrigued by the name of the place. We came in for lunch. We were greeted immediately and sat at a table. WOW! The memorabilia is everywhere. Absolutely awesome. The service was fantastic and the food delicious. We'd wished we'd found this place sooner as we were leaving the next day. However, due to an emergency that kept us in town, we were able to go back for dinner the next night. Again, everything was great. In a nutshell, this place is awesome! Great food, great service, great ambiance.

Service was top notch. We asked about the happy hour apps a few minutes before 3 and were able to get the potato skins. They were very good more like a twice baked potato than the traditional potato skins. My husband had the burger that’s topped with the sloppy Joe. He said it was really good. I had the club sandwich. Again very good. The kids pizza was good sized. Clean restrooms. On street parking.Tons of sports memorabilia.

If you're talking atmosphere this place is a 10... but I'm judging this on food also! I got the tenderloin. It's 100% pre-frozen & the sweet potato fries were undercooked. I was hungry... but the only thing satisfying was seeing the memorabilia! Our waitress wasn't that great either! Overall, I'll return to just look around.. but not to eat here again!

My wife and I Absolutely loved our lunch at Brown & Loe! We split ordered the Apache Burger, and it was incredible — juicy, flavorful, and the greasy fry bread added the perfect crispy-chewy texture. seriously one of the best burgers I’ve had in KC. We also shared the sweet corn hush puppies with pork belly and hot honey — the flavors were on point, and the hush puppies were fried to golden perfection. Sweet, savory, and crispy all in one bite. To top it all off, we finished with a slice of key lime pie and coconut cream tart — both were light, refreshing, and the perfect ending to a great meal. We sat out on the patio, which had a great view and relaxed vibe right in the heart of the River Market. Excellent service thanks to our server Emily, and amazing food— we’ll definitely be back!

Quick, friendly service | Exquisite meals We were quickly seated outside after walking in and loved to watch the City Market crowds as we ate. Our waitress, Chloe, provided the most genuine service and really took this experience to the next level. Her patience, warmth, and love for her job was evident through each interaction. Our table enjoyed Pineapple Mimosas, Quiche Florentine, Classic Breakfast, and Hash. All made fresh, presented eloquently, and full of flavor. Price was extremely reasonable and we can’t wait to return!

Giving 5 starts is not making any justice to this place! Omg what an experience. We went for my bday dinner and it was amazing. Environment: noise/ loud Food: best taste ever! From the starters to the mains. Full of flavors and perfect combination. We ordered the hummus with falafel and the guacamole with carne asada. Both were just great. They have the perfect amount of ingredients. The portions are huge! For the mains we ordered the ossobuco and the ziti, we could not believe they could be so well done! My mouth was having a fest! For dessert we had the Choco flan with pecans very nice and tasty but to be honest the consistence was more like a pudding not so much a flan. Bar: huge selection of different alcoholic brands, from wine, beer, tequila, fernet, etc. restroom: you have 1 in the main level and 1 downstairs. Service : very nice! They were always checking and making sure we have all we need. If you like to have a great flavor course of food this is the place. Congrats to the chefs.

I had a wonderful experience at Brown & Loe! The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and full of historic charm, a perfect spot for both casual lunches and special dinners. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!

Our friends who have lived in Kansas City for years suggested we go to Brown & Loe for dinner before seeing Cats at MTH (the show was fantastic! Best version I’ve seen). So I made a reservation. We arrived at 5:15 for our reservation and were seated immediately in Chloe’s section. She was fantastic from start to finish. You may wish to ask for her because she is just a fantastic person and competent and capable server. We started out with appetizers. My friends ordered the calamari. My wife loves that, but I don’t so she was happy to have some. I ordered half a dozen blue point oysters on the half shelf. They were very good. I tried a piece of a calamari and to my surprise, enjoyed it. It was not overcooked or over breaded like most I have had in the Midwest. My wife got the Taos salad with chicken she enjoyed very much! I was fortunate enough to snag a bite or two from her and it was truly excellent. My buddy shared a bite of the Osso Bucco and it was superb!! I ordered the meatloaf with goat cheese mashed potatoes, and green beans. The meatloaf also had a nice pan gravy and French onions. Truly a delight. We got a nice bottle of sparkling rosé for the table, which was delicious. The only snag of the whole evening was waiting for them to chill the wine. I’m not sure why they would offer sparkling wines and not have them chilled prior. A minor and annoyance, but not enough to deduct a star from this fabulous establishment. The prices were fair, the atmosphere was outstanding, and we will be returning many times in the future! We will ask for Chloe.

I ordered the ham and pear sandwich with parmesan truffle fries and the combo worked really well together. The flavors were balanced and the food didn’t feel fussy. The architecture and decor quietly elevate the experience. The staff were friendly and efficient. I’ll be back to try more of what they offer.

Most of the other reviewers have better pictures, so I don’t have any pictures of the actual . This was our first experience here. Ample parking close by, and nice proximity to the street car. Once inside, we were seated immediately. I loved the details they kept from the old bank in the super high ceilings. Certainly gives a classy aesthetic and it’s easy to imagine things a century ago. We brought a party of seven for a birthday, and overall were not disappointed. The service was helpful, adequate and definitely not overbearing. Our waiter was quite observant, kept drinks filled, and followed the appropriate etiquette. I appreciate that. We had a variety of drinks from martinis to old fashions to beers. The beer list was ample and offered quite a few local breweries. Our group had bread rolls as an appetizer they were tasty… But sticky …. you have been warned. Our group ordered a number of different items ranging from the mustard chicken sandwich, the club, meat Loaf, and the ham and pear sandwich. Across the board, I think food was generally well received. The club, unfortunately apparently had roast beef that had impossible gristle levels, but once they took out the roast beef. The sandwich was nice, and I’m sure probably not the norm. The mustard chicken sandwich got thumbs up from BOTH of the grandparents, the meatloaf was very highly regarded by both people who ordered it, and my ham and pear sandwich was super solid and even better for lunch the next day!!! The jam was is a nice touch. Also, in hind site there was also a positive vote for the Brussel sprout side. They offered my daughter a free dessert for her birthday and she selected the key lime pie which was phenomenal. Thank you. Overall, we had a great experience, the portion sizes were substantial!! I do wish they would’ve carried a more substantial stout either on tap or in can/bottle. There are several local breweries that could definitely fit that. For seven people with drinks, I think our actual bill came to around 250 w/o tip, so very affordable, and we will definitely be back again. I’ve heard they have an amazing brunch. Stay tuned.

Fun environment, friendly and attentive staff, delicious food. Booked a couple of outdoor courts for a youth group outing. Check-in process was easy, we played for a while, stopped for dinner, then back to playing. I’m pretty sure we all ordered the chicken and waffles and they were SO good!! Definitely recommend Chicken N Pickle for an evening out!!

I have nothing but praise for this place! The atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming, with an energy that makes you feel right at home. The staff is super friendly, attentive, and really on top of things, which adds so much to the experience. It’s a fantastic spot to bring friends and family since there’s something for everyone—indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, plus cornhole if you want to switch it up. The venue is spotless, well-maintained, and very organized, which makes the whole visit enjoyable. On top of that, there’s a wide variety of drink options to choose from, so you can relax and refresh after a game. A fun, clean, and lively place you’ll want to come back to again and again!

Went here because they were open late and wish we’d come earlier! It had just rained so it was empty, but looked like so much fun! The food was delicious (yay for fried pickles!), the beer was tasty (had the Space Ranger), and the games were so fun! It would be a super fun place to watch a game too as there were so many TV’s. Highly recommend!!

Avery was a wonderful server! I’m back in my home town for my birthday from Texas. Came to try out Chick N Pickle for the first time annd had a great time! Avery was Always checking up on us and making sure we are good. Never had a time we didn’t have a drink full! Even gave me a Chicken Cake Pop! 🫶 Thank you for making it a great start! 🙌

My favorite place in the world to get breakfast, home made cats head biscuit and delicious gravy....gone from the Menu. Biggest mistake EVER. Take a cue from Cracker Barrel C&P...people want their home cooking and GRAVY. oh my goodness this is horrible news for this place that I used to eat at most every weekend.....come on guys! I was forced to get waffles and chicken....chicken was hot but the waffle was so cold it would not even melt buttter....so disappointed cause this place is better than that....I feel a tear coming on.

I have been here several times and I wish I had taken pictures when it was nicer weather and you could see everything that goes on outside. When I go back this spring/summer I will try to add photos. This is such a fun place! It doesn't matter what age you are or what level of athlete. Every time I come to Kansas City to visit family, we always schedule to come here. You can only schedule 2 weeks out. And sometimes they have special events and tournaments so there may be limited time. One thing I wish they would do is when you reserve a court, you could reserve a specific one. Because we had a large group and people came in and out, it would have been nice to have the court that was closest to the exit/ tables. The food is okay, but I love the drinks and the atmosphere. They have indoor and outdoor courts. They also have a restaurant you can eat inside. And when it's nice weather there are a lot of outdoor games you can play. I absolutely love this place! Highly recommend!

I have nothing but positive things to say about this establishment. The atmosphere is incredibly uplifting, and the overall vibe is exceptional. I ordered the Southwest chicken salad, and it certainly lived up to expectations. I opted to dine outdoors, as the weather was perfect, and the outdoor seating area was impeccably clean. Additionally, the staff was courteous and attentive, further enhancing the experience.

Mia is AMAZING!! And all the staff. I was with the KU Lawrence Bar Band while they played outside of the T-Mobile Center for people as they arrived at the Big Slick event. Johnny’s sponsored some needed nourishment to keep the band playing! We can’t thank you enough!! Thank you Mia for helping take care of the band!! I did not get a pic of them stuffing in slices in between songs but it was perfect.

The Johnny’s Tavern P&L is located downtown Kansas City MO in the Power & Light District. The food, service, and atmosphere had mixed results. Service was spotty at best. We had to go to the bar several times to ask for water and other food items. The staff member assigned to our table forgot to bring several food items. The atmosphere was that of a sports bar. Opportunity for improvement. My score 3.7.

Upcharges, upcharges, upcharges. This place took ages in a non-busy restaurant to get us menus, upcharged on drinks despite the daily specials, and upcharged on the pizza topping despite being told it would be no extra. Food itself was very average and would be better bought anywhere else. Cross this off your list of places to try, and go to any of the nearby walkable areas instead.

First time at Johnny's. Great bar in the power and light district. Fast friendly staff. The staff gave me great recommendations from the menu.

What a charm, was visiting KCMO and stumbled across this sweet spot. Georgia was a great waitress and was attentive to our table even though we were all over the place. I was celebrating a upcoming birthday and she made my visit special. Thank you Johnny's Tavern see you soon.

The crowd is pretty diverse. I imagine it's related to what events are going on at the t mobile center. Tonight, the crowd is mixed. The service is good and it's not too busy. This is a really popular spot, so it can get a little crazy around here. Bar service gets an A, and the drinks are tasty, too. The price is good. Depending on the venue, I'd come back.

The food was great, the young lady that was our server was very nice, and had some great suggestions. She did check to make sure everything was OK, so great job! For my time, I will visit again.

This is a great dog friendly microbrewery in North KC that includes a very neat outdoor patio area with plenty of places to grab a picnic table and hang out. They have outdoor games like bags and boards, as well as a small shaded patio area closer to the door. It wasn't very crowded when we were there but seems like it could handle a decent sized crowd. The beers were great! I had the Weathered Wit (a wheat beer) and The Block IPA. No real food options but you can easily order BBQ from the restaurant next door which is a nice touch.

This is a nice brewery. It attracts a younger crowd, but it was pleasant and enjoyable. There are 3 "rooms", the main room, a quieter side room and the outside. The place was clean, the staff was friendly and willing to give samples, and the side room was quiet enough to chat without yelling. The beers I had all had a very distinct grain flavor as their base with "style" flavors on top. The ciders were very flavorful and refreshing. No complaints on my visit.

Great brewery, love the choices and the ciders where wonderful! Close to BBQ , distillery and just a nice part of the city! Highly recommend!

Great quiet laid-back place to relax, watch sports or "people watch" while enjoying a drink! Cozy little nooks, small tables, big tables for larger parties, they have it all, and don't forget to grab a "board or card game" to engage and laugh even more! Plenty of room and plenty drinks.... it's worth the visit and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable about their products! Impressive!

We loved the atmosphere at Cinder Block and loved all the beers we tried. We even went back before heading back to Nebraska to get a growler and some cans of beer. Great employees who also helped us find some other places around town to check out. Will definitely be back again

Cinderblock is fantastic, they always have some great seasonal beers and the year round lineup is terrific as well. The biergarden is great on a warm afternoon, and the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, especially Isaiah

The rooftop deck is so fun! With great views of the city & lovely breezes, they have multiple TVs going & a full service bar. We ordered food & drinks & enjoyed the atmosphere. Waitress was great & friendly & will be back if I’m ever back in KC! Be careful on the death stairs if drinking, they are a doozy.

Fun place! We sat outside on a beautiful day. Had Cranberry mimosas. I ordered a Philly steak sandwich. Steak was tough and over cooked. The sauces we ordered with the sandwiches cost extra but they were really tasty! Our waitress was kind and very helpful. The view from the deck was really nice. We were there on a Friday around 11am and we were there only customers there.

I was visiting Kansas City for a conference and took a walk and stumbled upon John’s Big Deck. For the happy hour, we had the nachos and for dinner I had a house salad with shrimp. I have been ordering the house salad with shrimp for the last three days. It’s so damn good! See you soon!

One of my favorite bars in KC. Each floor has a different atmosphere and they are all great! The view from the top is amazing. The only downside is the stairs. Alcohol and stairs are not a good combo. BUT definitely recommend for any kind of night out!

We visited for rooftop drinks & were met with excellent service and chilled drinks. We both agreed that our bartender had the perfect pour as each of our drinks were neither too strong nor weak. We visited early afternoon and walked all the way to the roof, finding a seat with ease. Will be back to view the menu and see the place during KC’s night life sometime soon.

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday the other day. The bartender was really nice and made good conversation. Drinks were delicious. We were there in the afternoon time so we couldn't go sit out on the roof top area (he said it opens at 4) but it was still a cool atmosphere and laid back downstairs.

We dined at johns the nachos were microwaved trash. Drinks were barely cold and the mixed drinks were so watered down. Just tryin to get a dollar. The only thing that made this place better was the wall sign - see photo-

Love this little place! Came here for the first time about five years ago when my husband and I visited KC for our second anniversary, so it holds a special place in my heart. Went back with my sister and it was very good! It’s been many years so the menu has changed, but it was still good. We just snacked and got the Brie, devilled eggs, and mussels and a bottle of sparkling for happy hour. Our server was very sweet, we got there about 5:50 and happy hour ended at six. No one came over to our table before 6pm (I almost got up and went to the bar myself). She finally came over right after it turned six. Asked for our drinks, and I inquired if we could still do the happy hour pricing on our drinks because no one came to our table for at least 10 minutes. She was hesitant at first but then said on our first round we could do happy hour pricing. It was very kind of her and I’ll remember that. It’s such a cozy, romantic atmosphere and they have a small patio as well. Definitely will come back next time I’m in KC!

Phenomenal little place. Lively, chatty atmosphere, wonderful service, spectacular libations. I definitely recommend a reservation. My wife and I came without one, and they put us on a short list. We got in half an hour later. Our server helped us figure out what we'd like. Everything was excellent. Not cheap but worth every penny.

This wine bar came up in a search for best brunch in Kansas City. My husband and I went there to celebrate my birthday. We were not disappointed. The entire experience was very French, including the music that played in the background. The Mimosa bar was something we had never done before and we loved it. For $25 we could buy a bottle of champagne and have as many mimosas as we wanted to make. There were four types of juices, many homemade syrups, a variety of herbs and bitters, everything you need to make a unique Mimosa. The quiche and the crepes were fantastic. I would highly recommend this as a fun and unique place to go

Extremely great service, such a great atmosphere. Sat at the bar for a drink, the tables would be perfect for a date or get together with a few friends. Would love to come back and try more cocktails and some food.

We loved our experience here! My girlfriend and I came for her birthday and not only was the food amazing but the service was above and beyond what our expectations were. They made us feel special and welcome. Our server Brittany was the best server ever! What we ordered: Grapefruit and OJ mimosas CRÊPES with poached chicken, roasted mushroom, Jason Wiebe 'Cottonwood' cheddar, sunny egg *The crepe was moist and delicious. It was extremely filling.* CROISSANTS with ham and cheddar *By far the best croissant we've had since moving to KC.* POTATO CRUST QUICHE (GF) with bacon, gruyère, spring onion *The quiche was divine. I am still in awe of all the savory flavors found in one small dish. While it was small I find that it was able to not only fill me but send me into a blissful state of being full.* WE WILL BE BACK!

Loved this spot ! Came early afternoon and sat in the last moments of daylight on the patio. I wasn’t sure on bubbles and service brought out two options to choose from which was very helpful. Croque was actually really incredible.

Stopped here once for brunch and got a sandwich I can't pronounce. Lol It was really good and the mimosas were good. The atmosphere and service was good, but there may be a wait at times. Reservations are recommended. Was a little pricey for me, and gratuity was automatically added. I always tip, but I'm not a fan of automatically adding it.

I visited this bar in downtown for the first time on a busy Friday night. The place is spacious with a lively atmosphere, and I’m glad we made a reservation because it was absolutely packed. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, making sure we were taken care of throughout the evening. The food was decent—not outstanding, but good enough for a bar setting. Drinks were well-made, and the vibe was energetic. One plus is the convenient parking across the street, which made getting there hassle-free.

It was a great experience. Food was really good. Only thing I would suggest is to make sure that it’s posted somewhere on the menu that when it’s brunch only brunch items are served and when it’s lunch, lunch items or vice versa we were told we would have to wait for a part about food because it was brunch time and had to wait until they started making lunch.

Fun place to hang out and watch sports! The bartender and servers are extremely nice and good at their jobs. The food will not blow you away but it does the job. I would recommend a burger and fries with ranch. My wrap was underwhelming. Overall, I see myself coming back again to hangout and watch a game in the future! 4 stars!

Definitely wont be returning to this location. We go to the other when In town and this one is totally different in many ways. The bathroom floors were sticky. We sat for a good while before someone came over. The place was pretty empty. The vibe of the employees was just meh i gotta work. I asked before ordering if the tacos were spicy and was told no. They were for my teen and they came with jalapeño and juice had got on them. I didnt see that they came this way. Also im not sure what kinda chicken is used but it definitely smelled like tuna and looked weird. I waited forever for someone to come back to ask . She said yes it was chicken. The rice was very wet for some reason. The nachos were good just a ton of lettuce on them. The unsweetened tea was perfect.

We had the duck wontons and that was delicious. The service was decent but they weren't busy. Drinks are not good. I would absolutely order something like a draft beer or something in a can/bottle but the mix drinks are extremely strong and not good.

This place is AMAZING. Great place to watch Sunday football, they are really good at making sure your team is on the screen in front of you. The best part was Mo. She is a FANTASTIC bartender... don't let that young face fool you, she knows how to make a drink...ANY drink! She made my husband a really good manhattan, made me a great dirty martini, and she just kept the good service coming. We were there for brunch and the food was really good...I had the spicy sandwich, loved it, especially the jalapeño jam that was on it. My husband got the biscuits and gravy, he loved it but could only eat half of it, they give so much food! We returned later after seeing the Royals and Mo was still there and still crushing it. Highly recommend this place.

As almost empty nesters, we just moved to our "young again" apartment in the city, so are exploring like tourists. We love finding the new-to-us spots, accessible by foot or rail. As you may have guessed by the name, this spot sits feet away from a streetcar stop in the Crossroads. A bar and grill, inside stocked with TV's for all the sports ball matches. Outside has a few tables, so you can enjoy people watching while noshing on a delicious Horseradish French Dip and sipping on a Tank 7 (a local favorite, brewed by Boulevard. Drink responsibly, this one will sneak attack you). This time around, the husband greatly enjoyed a burger. Low-key don't recall which one, but the one with mushrooms and what not. Yes, a responsible reviewer would look it up and be prepared, but you should honestly be ok trying any one of them. Let's get to the service, the real MVP of the night, our server. First off, I couldn't decide between the French dip or the Philly, so I asked for her help. She wrote something down, then asked if I wanted to know what she chose. I was like oh you're diabolical. I opted for the element of surprise, and only knew my fate once the plate was presented. French Dip it was. It was a great choice and I love that she did this. She, her trainee, the bartender, and all the staff were personable. It was getting late but they didn't make us feel like we were a bother for staying. 10 out of 10. Tip: if you plan on going on a game day or any important sporting event, go early. They do fill up and run out of room quickly.

Aside from having an amazing 3rd date at this place, the vibe and drinks are incredible. While the Julep specializes in an overwhelming assortment of whiskeys and bourbons, it’s the Garden and Gun that sold me. Light, refreshing, and garnished…it’s an easy to gulp cocktail that should be available by the pitcher! The main floor is cozy but private, and there are two private areas for parties with that in mind. I really enjoy this place. It’s a must-try locale for the discerning KC crowd who somehow finds themselves in Westport!

The bartenders are friendly, knowledgeable, well-dressed, and definitely know how to make a cocktail. I stuck to my usual Manhattan and their house whiskey was perfect. One of the best drinks I've had in a while. So good I was there twice in one day! Will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed my cocktails, great service by the staff. Wide selection of whiskies and unique cocktails. Small eats that looked very tasty with one or two main dishes. Fun cocktail that incorporates fire and a little magic.

Amazing place. Very friendly. Sometimes you can listen to some Bluegrass. The day we went, they had all mimosas you can drink for $10. Delicious food. Amazing servers and crew, always nice and well informed about the hundreds of whiskeys they have.

We had an amazing time at Julep last week. We did not have a reservation for the pop up but we’re still able to enjoy the Something Wicked menu at one of the tables in the front area of the bar. The witches brew was the highlight with a super fun presentation and delicious! Always a good time here.

Came in to use my passport and was not disappointed. I had the London Calling and it was absolutely perfect. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often. It’s a nice spot to chill out with a delicious drink. The bartenders were very neatly dressed and very friendly

Passing through KC and am a huge cocktail fan so had to stop at Julep. The neighborhood Julep is in is super cute - definitely could spend more time there. Julep is beautiful. The buildout on this place is awesome. It's a pretty small place but you walk in and see a bar and a bookcase full of bottles along with a ladder. We got the following cocktails. London Calling - if you're a cucumber fan definitely get this one! Very good. Camellia - this isn't actually matcha the powder, it's a tea they use as a mixer. I would definitely not recommend this drink. Traditional Julep - Julep knows how to make a dang good julep. Highly recommended. The Great Awakening - This was also wonderful. Definitely recommended. I'm a bourbon person, and this was a bourbon bar so I was overall pretty happy!

This place is a breath of fresh air. You can tell they are truly passionate about what they do here. We had a work event in the Agave Room. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Everything was very natural and they were gracious hosts. We also had pizzas made. They were incredible. I’m not sure if the pizzas came from Mean Mule or they brought in an outside vendor, but the presentation and taste were perfect. The environment is unique and worth experiencing. I would define it as friendly luxury. I’ll definitely return soon.

Gosh where to begin!? Fantastic drinks and just down right creative. The atmosphere is something i look for in a craft cocktail bar! Super cozy and the decor is so cute. Staff is seriously the coolest and are full of knowledge and KC recommendations. With the high level of cocktails and volume this staff keeps up. I love how small it is and it’s not crowded with large groups!! 10/10 highly recommend.

My gf and I sporadically decided to meet up to get a quick drink this afternoon when we finished work. Decided to try Mean Mule. It is a nice little place on Locust Street. We got the tequila flight and KC Ranch Water. I enjoyed both quite a bit. The vibe was bright and on point. The clientele was eclectic. Everyone was very cordial. They are very dog friendly, as proven by the four or so dogs that came through in our hour there as well as the fact that they gave us a water bowl for our dog.

Friendly and welcoming service. Excellent cocktails. The Gold Fashioned and Mean Mule were wonderful. Note: if you get the Mule spicy, it brings the heat! Your lips will be burning, but it's still excellent. The prices for the cocktails is about what you'd expect. I will be back.

Good atmosphere, wonderful service. Gin & tonic was strong, but that’s a good thing. I shall return!!

Amazing drinks and friendly staff. Highly reccommened visiting with a small group of friends/family or on a date. Mean Mule has an amazing vibe and lively decor. When visiting we ordered the.. 🍉Sgt Melon Pepper 🍊 Paloma 🌵 Cactus Kid which were all amazing and we would definitely order again. Be mindful when visiting its possible there could be a wait since seating is limited. Also if you want to keep update with fun mixed drink ideas to make at home they are always sharing new and creative content on their Instagram. Can't wait to visit again soon!

These new canned Palomas are possibly the best canned cocktails in the whole city. So good, and reasonably priced. Easily my favorite drink of summer 2024. Will look forward to future offerings, their first go at cans is shockingly good!
