Thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. The service was absolutely top notch. We were very impressed with our waiter’s knowledge of both ingredients and menu offerings. The lemon gnocchi and French onion soups, along with the various cocktails and entrees we ordered were fantastic. Many unique things to choose from that you won’t find other places. Dessert was no exception either. We tried the crème brûlée and a lemon blueberry and almond desert that was divine. We also loved the live music and bubbling fountain out on the patio. Perfect for springtime dining. If you are looking for a fun, tasty dinner experience- this is the place.

This had been my favorite restaurant for years. But I think I've grown as a food connoisseur. I wasn't as impressed with the food as I was on my first few visits. It's been years since I've eaten here. Our server was amazing. I love that its a small, kinda hole in the wall. The meals are decently priced for a French restaurant.

First time in. Sat at the bar side table. Excellent drinks. We ordered several appetizers. Beet salad. Smoked trout. Oysters. All delicious. The pasta with truffles was amazing. The desert. I don’t recall what it was by name. But it was pretty much the best, ever. I will return. And the service was excellent. What a fun date night.

It’s always a fantastic time at Le Fou Frog. The ambiance is spot-on — cozy, vibrant, and full of character, making every visit feel special. The food is consistently delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of rich flavor. And those dessert martinis? Absolutely irresistible — the perfect way to end the night and a reason on their own to keep coming back.

Our first time dining at LFF did not disappoint. We were celebrating our anniversary so the intimate setting was perfect. The food and drink options were plentiful and our server was so knowledgeable. We ordered the strip steak and filet. They were cooked to perfection at medium rare. Creme brûlée was a wonderful way to cap the meal. Delicious. Great experience. Won’t hesitate to come back.

I realized when we left that we were leaving a different dimension, a cultivated experience of amazing food, expedient service, live music, all solidified by the red lighting that transported us to this lovely place. I enjoyed the live music (singing) that added to the classy atmosphere. The pappardelle with truffle is possibly the best pasta dish I’ve ever had, its quality only rivaled by dishes I’ve had at Gordon Ramsay restaurants. The noodles were cooked absolutely perfectly and I loved the flavor. I’m still talking about it days later. We also loved the Bisque de Homard and the caesar salad with calamari. I wish we would have visited here sooner. I can’t wait to return!

My husband and I are new to the area having moved from the New York City area and have been trying out various restaurants trying to find our favorite spots. We've tried The Antler Room and The Restaurant at 1900 among others. Le Fou Frog -- hands down -- is the restaurant to beat in our minds. I had been disappointed that the atmosphere in other places wasn't quite what we were hoping for. If you want vibes and atmosphere: Le Fou Frog is the place to go. It's charming meets hip meets comfortable. We would have felt like we fit in if we were dressed up (which we were as we were headed to Swan Lake at the Kauffman right after) or in jeans. On top of that our server, Claire, was incredibly warm, personable, and helpful. The food was incredible to top it all off, and we appreciated not feeling like we were being rushed out the door. Hats off to this place. We'll definitely be returning soon.

This is the best vegan restaurant I have been to in the whole USA - from Boston to NYC to Florida to CA (and I have been vegan for over 3 years)! The menu is delightful to read, and the staff is effervescent. From the moment we sat down, to the question of the day and throughout the meal, everything was perfect. We were only in KC for 4days, and ate at Cafe Gratitude 3times. Each time was as good as the previous! I highly recommend Cafe Gratitude for vegans, vegetarians and culinarily curious non-vegans!

Outstanding place. Everyone working here is fantastic. The menu is extensive- plant based and organic. They have 2 menus - a regular and seasonal - impressive. Plating looks great - and food tastes amazing. I had WHOLE macrobiotic bowl — OMG 😋 it tastes so good. And the dessert - Tiramisu is out of this vegan world. If you in Kansas City- you have to stop by.

This meal was one of the highlights of my three day stay in Kansas City! Everything on the menu looked amazing. The humble bowl was delicious. Service was friendly and kind and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I am WHOLE. I am BRIGHT. I am RAPTURE. Delicious, easy, and earnest, Cafe Gratitude was a great find for a couple of part time vegans (Orthodox Lent) on the road. If I lived in KC, these beautiful folks would definitely know my name.

Beautiful restaurant, very cozy and warm. Truly a relaxing experience. Their nachos were quite filling with tons of toppings. Raw pad thai had an excellent peanut sauce and texture. The BLT had a great crispy bread, the tofu is quite crisp and thin, great smoky flavor. The vegan burger is what you’d expect, it could have been slightly bigger but overall excellent. The side salad with fig balsamic vinaigrette was ok, could have used a bit more dressing/flavor or more than just leaves to give it some oomph. The honey mustard side salad was better with more flavor. We didnt try their dessert but they had good options, slightly pricey. Overall I’d def come back to maybe read at the bar sipping one of their juices or have appetizers. Great place for conversation with friends/date, fairly quiet, good natural lighting streaming in, overall just good vibes. Parking can be tough, main option is street parking which be tough on weekends but should be able to snag a spot within a few blocks. There was a parking garage nearby that said “additional parking for cafe gratitude” but it seemed like they charged $5.

Looked into vegan restaurants in KC and this one showed up! Don't recall what I ordered but my dad enjoyed his tacos! This donut was the BEST the frosting on it is amazing. The matcha latte was good too. Parked about a block away and it was worth it! I think the prices were a high + the decor was cute.

Very friendly service! I was surprised by the serving size as it was much larger than anticipated. The “I am Bonita” dish is what I chose and it was really good. The variety of different flavors ultimately led me to eating the whole dish. This place is much different than your standard vegan restaurant as everything is much more earthy and organic.

Off the bat, the atmosphere is pretty cute but it stays busy so be sure to make a reservation. We started with the pint of fries which was delicious. For entrees, we had the summit burger and the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The entrees were ok; the bun on the burger was a little big and it came with lettuce even when we requested it not to (allergy).The grilled cheese was a flavor overload definitely embodying the saying that sometimes less is more. The cheese and soup were both so rich and potent I could hardly eat more than a few bites. Overall, it wasn’t a favorite dining experience and was expensive.

I don't usually leave low reviews but for the price I think people should be leary. We met some friends at this spot, we'd never been before. We did have a reservation which of you decide to try this place out, I would definitely make a reservation. We had one of the appetizer boards and while it was pretty good there was a slight mishap which we all found a little funny and definitely gave the restaurant some grace as the person working that line was new and this could have happened to anyone. Instead of chunks of white cheddar we got chunks of butter, total shock when you shove a chunk in your mouth and it is not what you expected. The manager wanted to make it right but we were honestly laughing and just wanted to warn them that maybe not keep the two items close together or label them. I ordered the chicken and waffles and my husband ordered a basic ham and sausage omelet. The food was so cold, like ice cold and we had been waiting a while for it so we didn't say anything plus we were with friends and didn't want to cause a stir or anything. The chicken was bland at best and the waffle was flavorless. The omelet also ice cold was just not good, the potatoes were plentiful with the omelet but lacked in flavor. We were highly disappointed, for the price. It might have been an off day which absolutely happens. If you decide to stop in I hope your experience is much better than ours was.

A Truly Local Gem in Every Sense I had the pleasure of dining at Westside Local last night, and the name couldn’t be more fitting. The atmosphere felt genuinely local and cozy, a refreshing departure from the usual chain restaurant vibe. The menu was packed with interesting and unique dishes, which was a huge win for someone like me who doesn’t eat much beef or pork. I found at least four dishes I was excited to try right off the bat. The service was warm and friendly, adding to the overall welcoming vibe, and the atmosphere was hip and cool. Westside Local is definitely a spot I’ll be returning to, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, locally-focused dining experience.

We came here for our team dinner. Cute atmosphere, food was amazing across the board. Big portion sizes, the shawarma bowl (in photo) was super good! Michael did an amazing job! Very great at his job. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts !!

We were in town for the Nebraska vs Cincinnati game and wanted to hit something local on the way home. After a night of drinking, I needed comfort food, and not a big fan of BBQ. This was close to our hotel, highly rated, and the review pics looked good. It didn't disappoint!! We had the option of sitting inside or outside on the patio. I opted for the patio seating and it was charming, comfortable, and well done! The fans on the ends of the tables were a nice unique touch. I don't recall our server's name (short dark hair), but she was great! Attentive, pleasant, and knowledgeable about the menu items. I was impressed by the details of each menu item. They ALL sounded so good it made it hard to decide what to get. I decided on the mac and cheese and added the hot honey chicken. My husband picked a burger (they're 1/2 lb!) He appreciates much simpler flavors and modified one to his liking. The quality of the ingredients I think is what impressed me most. His burger bun was hearty and toasted, quality bacon, quality beef, and good consistent crispness on the fries. My mac and cheese was beautifully put together, a generous portion, and I appreciated the standards of quality! Would definitely eat here again! I would also love to try the tacos She suggested! I dont think you can go wrong with any item because of their quality and standards. Even the salt and pepper shakers were well thought out.

Love this place, and the kids did too! The elote tots, pretzel & sausage board, steak rice bowl, fish & chips, and mac n’ cheese with veggies were all amazing—something for everyone to enjoy!

One of my favorite restaurants in KC. Whenever I have visitors, I always take them here for lunch- of course they've all loved it. Sitting outside in the spring or fall when the temps are great is such a vibe- full of plants, a spot for those who may have their dog with them. I love the atmosphere inside and out. The food is great and good selections for everyone- including vegetarians and vegans. Great option for a group with various dietary preferences or limitations. Love this place!

Walked a ways to drum up an appetite. The menu here looked great from the palm. Chose to eat light and ran with the salmon bowl. Really impressive display. Dressing was perfect and the roasted nuts added the texture. Fish was grilled to perfection. Looking forward to exploring more.

One of my favorites! The space is dark, rustic, and moody but the wrap around windows warm it right up! I’m a sandwich girl, so I’ve tried and endorse them all. If I go salad I’d recommend the Steak & Greens. If I go entree, I’d recommend the Fish & Chips. But the hands down winner is always the Steak Chimi sandwich and their house lemonade. A great place to stop in for a solo lunch or meet up with friends to fill up a community table. The dining experience is counter ordered with a self serve station for drinks and amenities. Also be sure to make a pass at their dessert window to see what’s out for the day.

The Russel has always been our favorite Lunch spot! Today the restaurant was closing early for an event when my wife and I showed up. We drive from 30 mins away just to have lunch here (it is that amazing!) and they were so kind to accommodate. i usually get the steak sandwich which is the best i have ever had. Today I also got the spicy chicken sandwich and it is hands down the best chicken sandwich i have ever had. Could not recommend enough!

As one who has spent time trying to master the art of a homemade cheeseburgers, i would say The Russell was probably the closest thing to a traditional barbecue burger you can find without getting out the grill. I would guess the patties were over 5 oz, they were relatively thick, and they were cooked to the correct temperature. Buns were also toasted, and the seasoning was very tasty. I would probably put it in the top 10 burger joints in Kansas City for sure. The only drawback was limited seating, all the burgers were sided with potato chips rather than fries, and a can of soda was the only option for a drink rather than refillable glasses. Despite the very manageable drawbacks, The Russell was very worth the stop.

Disclaimer: I typically do not enjoy New-Age American pretentious sort of places. I had that expectation walking in here. I WAS REALLY WRONG. Very eclectically and well decorated with a very unique concept and menu.. this place was great. The food was so light but complex. So many different flavors with every bite... It may be the best lunch I've had in KC (minus Gates, but that's a totally different thing but also ironically next door) I'll let the pictures do the talking. This is a real gem.

Had a small work meeting for 10 people and needed catering. Ordered directly from the website on a Friday for a Tuesday meeting. Everything was perfect and the food was tasty and fresh. Multiple people commented on how good the food was. It came with everything we needed and was packaged very well to allow for a nice presentation and easy set-up. Very well thought-out!

A friend of mine suggested that we go to The Russell for lunch I never been there before so I decided sure let’s go give it a try. Tacos with soup and the burger with home fries and lemon cookie, a chocolate chip cookie and a oatmeal cream pie and let me tell you it was fantastic. We plan on coming back. It was like a treat.

This place is amazing! A coworker and I ordered them through GrubHub for lunch. She has an extreme gluten allergy and they were Amazing with the order making sure everything she ordered was separate from mine and properly handled. I ordered the veggie stack and would definitely eat here again!

Horrible customer service. I ordered pick up through Door Dash. Probably my first mistake. Door Dash said my order was ready for pick up. When I arrived over 30 minutes after placing my order, I watched an employee walk over to a tablet and turn it on. She then proceeded to type my order into their system. I had to ask if that meant my order had not been started. She simply said “no, we didn’t see it, the tablet wasn’t charging.” No apology. No compensation. Nothing. She said again “ the tablet wouldn’t hold a charge. There’s nothing we can do.” Good food, but the last two times I ordered delivery, items were missing. Hence, I tried pick up tonight, which was also a fail. Not sure I’ll be back. Recommend some upper management training of staff on customer service.

The cashier is VERY rude! She has a terrible attitude to work in the food industry. The boss Lindy isn't much better. All she is concerned about is defending her workers and the the poor service they give. I have been to this location several times and the service is always the same. Terrible!!! The food is over priced. I won't be back and encourage other not to go there as well. Its not worth it.

Good quick healthy food. I love the build your own quinoa bowls and the sweet potato fries with the mustard sauce is good too. The menu is mostly under $15 and the portions are okay. Salads for me have been hit or miss as far as taste and combinations so I normally just build my own.

Decent salad bar. I had the Santa Fe salad and it was okay. The price was good. The service was a little aloof, but overall they were fine. That is the theme of my experience here: fine. It was all just fine.

I ordered a mini Mac and Cheese with chicken through Door Dash, and the chicken was completely inedible. Totally dried out, crusty, looked like it had been cooked 3 days ago and left under a heat lamp. So hard that I could knock it against the table and it made a noise. Really disgusting. For such an expensive place, I would hope the food could at least be edible. I don’t usually do this, and I’m really not one to make a big deal out of these things, but this was so bad that I had to say something.

The bar area before we got our table was wonderful. Michelle at the bar and another lady were very busy, but never missed us in 2 hours. When we got our table the waiter Bobby was one of the best I've ever had at any restaurant and had recommendations. Our food was amazing. Unfortunately I drank way to much following a long stint on a diet and passed out in front of their bathroom. The manager and bobby along with my friends were able to help me recover and get us on our way and even gave us cupcakes to go. 10/10 would come again. 3/10 would recommend passing out in front of their bathroom door.

This place offers a memorable Kansas City barbecue experience with incredible decor and atmosphere that really sets the tone. Our waiter struck the perfect balance—friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food was a bit of a mix: the smoked jalapeño cornbread had great texture and was beautifully baked, but fell short on flavor. The beef burnt ends carried good smoky taste but were on the dry side. The pork spare ribs, however, were the highlight—tender, juicy, and falling off the bone. The baked beans and potato salad were some standouts, perfectly seasoned and delicious. Overall, a strong BBQ spot with standout dishes and a great environment, though not every item was a hit.

Solid spot in KC with some creative drinks and good BBQ. Everything was priced fairly. The drinks were poured generously and the BBQ had solid flavor. Our server was really nice and got us everything in a timely manner. If in the area I recommend checking out!

This establishment was wayyy more than what I was expecting! I was blown away by the decor, ambiance, and also the method of ordering. As a Texan, we are used to standing in a line to order in cafeteria style. This restaurant is actually a table service establishment which made the experience even better! We ordered brisket, ribs, pulled pork, Mac n cheese, beans, baked potato, and smoked salmon dip. All were AMAZING!!! Fresh, flavorful, and muy delicioso!! Can y’all please bring this greatest to Texas??? Pretty Please!!!

Fiorella’a Jack Stack does it so good! Best BBQ in KC. Seated 7 very quickly. Very polite, friendly, & professional staff. Outside seating was very comfortable & warm. Our server, Kylee is amazing. The pork & beef burnt ends, sausage, ribs, & lamb were all delicious. Finally, the birthday celebration was so wonderful to bring joy for our ELDERLY guest.

Based on my research and a recommendation from the hotel staff, we went to dinner at Jack Stack as it was supposedly the best BBQ in town. The restaurant is decent and service was fine. I ordered the Cornbread, KC Combo - 3 Meats(Baby Back Ribs, Burnt Ends, and Sausage) with an order of Baked Beans, Corn Bake, Coleslaw, and Potato Bake. The Cornbread, Sausage, and Coleslaw were the best items. I didn't care for the Corn as it was just pieces of corn in cheese sauce. The potato bake was good but extremely heavy. The meats were okay. Some were dryer than I'd prefer.

The lamb ribs are a must have! The turkey is good if you're in to that sort of thing (no shame in admiting it). The brisket was good too, but didn't meet the high standard set by the other meats. Fries were well seasoned and had a good fluffy texture with a crisp outside. If you just want dessert this is a better option than those cookie places. She Jack on my Stack 'till I Kansas City Barbecue.

Lunchtime at Q39 a busy place. Good sign. Spacious open dining room with a good view of the kitchen and full bar with seating as well. Started with "Best Wings on the Planet". Definitely very good. Nice char on the outside, tender meat on the inside. Really flavorful. Then had the combo plate with ribs, and beef brisket. Sides of fire roasted Mexican street corn, and five cheese mac with breadcrumbs. Both sides were excellent. The ribs and brisket were good. A little on the smaller portion size than you would expect considering the price, but good nonetheless. Will definitely be back to try again..

We flew from Chicago this morning, first time in KS and had only one purpose, come and try Q39. From the moment we walked in we felt welcome, our waiter Haleigh was OUTSTANDING, absolutely the sweetest.. please if manager are seen this give her a compliment from our part such a nice employee you have, love her hospitality. Now about the food. We ordered what they call it THE best wings on the planet 🌍 and they were not kidding, absolutely AMAZING. We also ordered pick 3 with ribs, brisket and pulled pork and all of them were delicious but my fav was the brisket, sooooo tender and great taste. If I ever come back to KS I need to stop at this place again, 10/10.

Smoked meat is delicious, half chicken dark meat is preferable, ribs, brisket, burnt ends, and sausage. French fries is the only side preferable to me. Nachos are delicious however they're seasonal and available April through October. The service once seated is phenomenal, food comes out fast and the staff are nice. The atmosphere is loud and crowded since it is a popular diner. The price for the quality of food is justified.

Fantastic BBQ restaurant with great food and service! Tried Old fashioned, Best Wings on the planet, Burnt End burger and Carrot cake. To start with, Old fashioned is solid! Burnt End burger is so juicy and just melts in your mouth. Chicken wings are damn good with BBQ Sauce, and Carrot cake is out of this world! Must try If you like to indulge mouthwatering BBQ meat around Kansas City. I’m surprised how fast the service is! Note: All the food items are shareables

Q39 Midtown is a solid restaurant to visit for BBQ. The ribs are tender, and come right off the bone with a gentle bite. The BBQ sauce is really good. The chicken wings also were good, for the price though I would like 8 of them. I also feel a good bbq needs really good sides, and Q39 did it right. I loved the potato salad and the cucumber salad.

The food at Q39 was absolutely delicious! Our group of 6 loved everything - great flavor and perfectly cooked BBQ. Everyone left happy and full! The only downside was the service - the lady started removing our plates while we were still eating, which felt a bit rushed. Other than that, it’s a really solid spot and we’d definitely come back!

Came in today for Birthday celebrations. Had the most attentive, amazing server-Duane!! He's GREAT! Food was delightful especially the pulled pork and onion straws. Had a relaxing, fun filled Saturday lunch. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely phenomenal and our server did a great job at selling it, and helping us choose what we should get. we were kind of scared as some of the ingredients were not our favorite but let me say we were not disappointed. Definitely did not leave hungry. 2. Our server Wojo was a DOLL. we had a later reservation, and instead of rushing us out the door, she continued to ask if we wanted to order more drinks, food, dessert, etc. she was so sweet, funny, and attentive and made our experience 10x better. She was so friendly and just a 10/10 all around we loved her. This was my first time trying this and I will 100000% be back again!

We had our wedding dinner in the Terrazza. We had around 70 guests and I wanted to make sure I chose a place with ambiance and that didn’t feel like just a room with four walls. We loved everything about it! The gorgeous room, the downtown upscale location , the food was fantastic, the service was impeccable and friendly! There was plenty of parking for guests which is rare for a downtown location. Terra, Matthew and Doug helped to make it the best night of my life!

We had a lovely dinner at Lidia’s last night & it did not disappoint. If you’ve never been, you must try it, with the understanding it is Northern Italian food. Last night we had the three course dinner with Caesar salad, the pasta tasting trio & dessert. The trio changes daily & always offers a variety of three different pastas that are AMAZING. You can refill any you would like more of. I love they also use fresh, seasonal & local ingredients when possible. The atmosphere is nice & our service was impeccable. Already looking forward to my next meal at Lidia’s!

I wish I had caught the name of our waiter, he was beyond excellent. We were visiting from NJ and his suggestions were right on. This was a business trip for me and I will come back next time to enjoy more items on the menu. The ambiance is beautiful, and price and value are well above what we get at home. Thank you for this memorable experience!

Outstanding food. Appetizers, filet minion, tri pasta, deserts. Great service. Lots of close parking. My new regular nice dinner location. We actually used their upstairs private event space for a group meal w/drinks. Very happy, A#1 the best...

I highly recommend this restaurant! The food was all good and most of the pasta is freshly made. The desserts are also delicious and the whole restaurant is very beautiful inside and outside. The reason I deduct 1 star is because the servers who served our pasta table side were not very careful. Sauce went everywhere and it stained my husband's white shirt. Also the same tableside pasta came when I was still enjoying my salad and instead of coming back to us they took away my salad to serve our entree. Other than that, it was an enjoyable dinner.

I planned a road trip around visiting Lidia's. So lovely! The appetizer could feed 6 people and the pasta portions were huge. So, if the prices look high, just know you get a ton of food for your money.

Gram & Dun came highly recommended to us! It’s located in a lovely area & easy to walk around. We enjoyed the stroll around the shops. We came for lunch. It was amazing! So delicious! The restaurant was lovely. Service was excellent. They were very attentive. The menu had plenty of yummy options. We tried a roasted chicken sandwich & fresh greens salad. Gumbo was delicious! Everything was delicious! We really enjoyed our lunch. I highly recommend visiting Gram & Dun?

We come here almost every time we visit KC, and almost always for Brunch on Sunday before we head home. So good. The food, beverages, and always excellent service! PS, make sure to get the fresh fruit. So good.

We were invited by the manager to come in for a meal and after just a few bites, my husband and I began planning our next date night to revisit. The service was top tier, food was delicious and fast. Fresh. Our server was so kind and sweet, and even made a VERY welcomed food suggestion (fried jalapenos with the spinach artichoke dip, to die for). I cannot say enough positive things. I cannot wait to return. Thank you for a memorable first anniversary meal.

I am an out-of-towner and was told to explore Country Club Plaza. I stopped here for lunch and sat in the bar area. The place looks nice and is unique. The service was great and the food was delicious. And they had Magnum PI on the TV. 🤣

Food was good, but the drinks were just okay. Our waitress was very nice - she should get a raise! It was kind of loud there, hard to hear each other but could make out what we were saying well enough. It was kind of hot by the window, almost like a greenhouse. Overall would recommend!

The food was a bit mediocre for the price we are paying. The lobster risotto wasn’t as flavorful as I expected and there were only a few pieces at the top. The appetizers were decent at best but the presentation was good. The lamb was wonderful, it was tender and had tons of flavor. The hanger steak was not that good and sushi was ok.

First time here. Had a large group, so we had a reservation. We arrived early but still waited 20 minutes to be seated. Understandable with the evening reservation and the number of people, but I was hopeful that we wouldn't need to wait that long. The service and food were very good. Started off with bread and appetizers, which were delicious. The meal arrived in decent time. There was an error with one of the orders. We were not offered any form of resolution, unfortunately. The food was very good, though. I'll probably return for another visit. Try it for yourself.

Had a pretty good experience at Brio last Friday evening. We made a reservation, and glad we did! We watched a lot of people get turned away. I was a little surprised at how long we had to stand at the hostess stand, before she even acknowledged us - literally probably 10 minutes! She was obviously trying to figure out some table and/or waitering figurations, but it's not that hard to look up, and say, "we'll be with you in a moment". A little thing, but most people would appreciate even a moment of recognition. Once we were seated, our waiter was attentive. The restaurant is huge, so I was amazed at how fast our food came out of the kitchen. They brought out their bread first, which is light and airy and amazingly good! We started with a Caesar salad- it was pretty standard, nothing amazing (they could at least use fresh parmesan to kick it up a notch!) Then we got the Carpaccio- I've never had this dish before. First of all, it was huge! I thought the waiter had brought us the wrong thing at first lol. It was so flavorful, every bite was divine! I ordered the Chicken Caprese- highly recommend! Every bite was so yummy. My husband ordered the grilled pork chops. They were terribly dry... like chalky dry. He wasn't going to say anything, but for nearly 40 bucks, I feel they can cook a pork chop correctly, so I requested a fresh one. I felt bad that my husband then had to wake so long to eat his meal. Thankfully, the next one was better. It was still slightly on the dry side IMO, but not chalky dry. I appreciate them making it right on the spot. Overall, it was good. I'm not sure that I'll come back, I feel that there are other restaurants at this price point that are better, but it was a solidly good meal.

I wanted to share feedback regarding my recent dining experience at your restaurant on December 22, which coincided with my birthday. Unfortunately, the evening did not meet the standards I’ve come to associate with Brio. Despite having an 8:00 PM reservation, we were seated at 8:30 PM due to a delay. While I understand the challenges of managing a busy evening, the service that followed was disappointing. Our server seemed inattentive, failing to respond promptly to requests for water and tissues, and their behavior made us uncomfortable as they appeared to be observing us throughout the evening. Basic service expectations were not met. For instance, when we requested silverware and tissues, they were placed haphazardly, and no napkins or extra plates were provided, despite us being a party of two. Furthermore, dessert was served before our main course, and when we inquired about the dessert menu, we were told there were only two options to choose from. Having visited Brio several times before and enjoyed the experience, this particular visit was far below expectations. It was disappointing for both me and my date, and it has left us reconsidering our choice of dining venues moving forward. In the end if anyone is looking for a good place with some good food and good service Brio isn't the one to even consider. Thank you and I'll be waiting for the automatic sorry response.

I don’t know who rated this higher but they are not to be trusted. I tried almost every appetizer and all of them were disgusting. The truffle garlic toast had a giant hair, the lobster bisque was clearly from a can, they claimed to be out of the shrimp risotto. The lamb chops were the only decent thing on the menu and they were just ok. The mushroom ravioli was so bad we had to send it back and the bruschetta was essentially just bread and balsamic. Service took forever even though there were only 2 other tables occupied. We came at 7pm on a Thursday night and the lack of people at that time should have been our first clue that we were going to be disappointed. Definitely not worth the price or the time. Shake shack down the road would have been better.

Perhaps I should be more generous with my rating (pretty good food, very attentive and accommodating service), but it's a high-carb, chain Italian restaurant. Thus we're starting at a lower baseline. Restaurant is echoey, even though it was not at capacity. Servings are generous but dishes are pricey. I did like the calamari and Italian wedding soup. When our group outgrew the table, they very kindly made a bigger place for us.

This food is always great. We were sat quickly by the very friendly host. The service in general is great. If you don't get bread on your table, make sure to ask for it. The bruschetta sampler was very good. The shrimp and lobster ravioli was delicious. The sauce was creamy, and had a little bite. The shrimp Mediterranean was also very tasty. The orzo was light and flavorful. This is a great restaurant for lunch, dinner, and dates.

The chicken Parmesan was good. The restaurant was very dead for a Sunday afternoon. Staff was nice. Things were clean. The kids portion is huge and can probably be split. Not bad for a chain restaurant.

I was really not impressed with most of the food. The sauces were pretty bland. Tomato sauce taste the same as the extra cup of marinara I got from Domino's last week. The chicken was dry and prices were high. The only thing that was actually good was the shrimp that was part of the appetizer. If it weren't for good service and the fact that atmosphere is nice this would be two stars. Definitely not worth the money... drinks are expensive as well. There are way better places to go for similar money that you will leave with a smile on your face.

It was an awesome experience here! Food, service, and atmosphere is great!!! Ricky was our server and he is just awesome. Danny is another server that is fantastic, he is so funny and kept us laughing all night! The spaghetti with meatballs is exceptional and the carbonara too. We will definitely come back for pizza and other stuff in the menu ♥️

Darion was excellent. Simply excellent. This was our first visit here and we were not disappointed. Huge shareable portions, everything was hot and fresh. We will definitely be coming back. What an experience; so much fun and laughter over an excellent meal.

In the most Italian way, the dishes are large and meant to be shared which is wonderful. But for someone who may want to just try a dish in a smaller portion you won’t get that here unless someone lets you share off their plate. You get free bread but it’s nothing to yell home about. Food itself was wonderful though and I would love to try other dishes. It was loud and had a hard time hearing our waiter who didn’t come around much. Give it a try

I ordered online for curbside pickup as curbside was an option. Once I got to the restaurant, I called requesting my curbside pickup. I was then informed that they do not offer curbside pickup. Why would you offer it online if it’s not an option? Fine. I went inside and got my order. Got home and opened my order. I ordered baked spicy sausage rigatoni and lasagna. Both small portions. Supposed to feed 3-4 people according to their website. I opened it and the small lasagna was half filled. I called and spoke to manager FRANK. FRANK was rude and condescending. He immediately went into defense mode. Explaining to me that “that’s the small portion. You received the right size. We just put it in that pan for to go orders. Have you dined with us before? Then you know that’s the right portion” Why would you put it in a big pan that is supposed to fit a large portion? If that is the true size then it should be in the appropriate sized pan. This is what I told FRANK. FRANK absolutely refused to give me his last name after I asked several times for it. He even told me to “go ahead and complain, maam. I can offer you a dessert” I explained that I had my son’s high school football game and that I couldn’t come back for a dessert” He kept arguing the pan size again and ounces blah, blah, blah. Still refusing to give me his last name. Then he told me that I was argumentative and that he was trying to help me and that he could offer me different compensation. Oh yeah FRANK? Why didn’t you say that to begin with? It was only after I asked for your name that you decided to offer me different compensation. $25 credit to use on my next visit. I will not return even with this credit. I understand that is your portion size. Fine. But to not even apologize for anything and accuse me of being argumentative only after I asked for your last name is uncalled for. No wonder you only have 3 stars on YELP.

Buca di Beppo is always a fun, lively experience, perfect for a group dinner. The atmosphere is loud and festive, and the family-style dishes are great for sharing. We recently had dinner there and were lucky enough to have Maria as our waitress. Maria was fantastic! She was super friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. She knew the menu inside and out and gave us some great recommendations. Her energy was infectious, and she really added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. The food was delicious, as always. The portions are huge, so come hungry! Overall, it was a great meal, and Maria's excellent service made it even better. If you go, definitely ask for her!

Having to go downstairs to even get to the front door was so cool. Walking into the restaurant it has a cozy Italian feel. The service was great. Good was delicious!! Order light!!!!!! We ordered 2 pastas regular which says 3-4 people. The big option was 5-8 people I believe. Great service. Great atmosphere. Just overall great experience.

Dec 21st. My birthday as well as many other birthday parties were going on at the same time. The property was packed, Reservations I'd say are a must! Unless you enjoy waiting. We were seated on time, and our server was fast polite, engaging, and knew the menu well. The food was just okay. It's not great and, in my opinion, not worth the price which by the way is NOT CHEAP. We are from South Padre Island and come up to the Lee's Summit/KC annually this time of year.. Unfortunately, this establishment is a one and done.. Plotted. Scouts Out..

Sam was amazing! So helpful and attentive. The food just as amazing. Shrimp tacos were delectable. The carrot cake has such amazing taste and texture. Can’t wait to come back!

I flew in from Dallas-Fort Worth, and while visiting, I came across this restaurant. The menu looked good, so I walked in. Immediately, I was seated. This place simply has a good vibe. Russ Bliss (General Manager) stopped by my table to see how I was. All I can tell you is that Russ has a good team. Great service and an awesome flavor in the food. Worth the visit.

I took my daughter here for Valentine's Day dinner. The customer service was exceptional even though the place was wall-to-wall people they still took time to say hello and had champagne to celebrate Valentine's Day while we waited for our table. We had sushi to start, and it was delicious. I don't believe that it was worth $22. I've had this particular sushi roll at other places for half the cost taste just as good I had the steak and lobsters special for $70, and she had the salmon. the lobster was good, but it did not have any dipping butter. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked but had little to no flavor or moisture, which I found to be odd. I am not a steak sauce person, so I expect more flavor for a $70 meal. My daughter's salmon was perfectly cooked and moist. It also did not have a lot of flavor. Unfortunately, I think Kona Grill is afraid to add flavor due to individuals with medical conditions. Overall, I think the name is what Rises the cost of the food. I don't believe that I would recommend Kona Grill for the amount of money that I spent.

My concerns are about how the menu does not match the interior design (nor cleanliness/wear & tear) of this chain restaurant, thus disappointed with the overall value. I’d rather get the trifecta of food/service/atmosphere like restaurants at the Freight House. Where we sat, there were large obnoxious TVs in view.

The service was top notch, super friendly and honest with questions. Nice atmosphere. But the food was way overpriced for the portion size and quality. $23 for very small appetizer shrimp tempura, tasty but tiny. We both had chicken in our dishes. Both were overcooked and dry. One dish the rice was obviously reheated and just had oil or butter to try to rehydrate it. It was so overdone it was crunchy. Pad thai had decent flavor, but no fresh ingredient toppers, just mushy.

The food was high end. Very tasty & well seasoned. Ribeye was cooked to perfection with a special seasoned butter accompaniment & yummy fingerling potatoes. The cod was moist & not overcooked & the coating was well seasoned & crunchy. Another plus, they kept our drinks full. Definately will be going back.

Delicious airport food may seem like an oxymoron, but we were wowed by the great service and delicious food. I had the pork and pickle sliders and my husband had the rack of ribs-both excellent. The host was also our server who made sure we had great service even though it was crazy busy. I also had the yummy corn muffins which I substituted for fries.

This place was hopping. At 3:30 PM. The serving crew was rocking. Constant motion and on time. Two problems. Both this sandwich and the fries were cool at best. I ate the sandwich but I was expecting BBQ and this was shaved turkey. Pimento had some kick. The fries went untouched. Issue 2? This poor pickle was billed on the menu. I'd be ashamed to mention it was even part of the meal. Poor thing.

I wanted some KC bbq during our long layover. Brandon our server was very attentive and helpful with our meal selections. I ordered the three meat combo. The brisket was tender and juicy, ribs had a lot of flavor but the sausage was not on the same level. Actually, the sausage was disappointing. Fries were crispy and not oily. I ended the meal with the tasty ice cream sandwich which consisted of two chocolate chip cookies, a scope of vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce and a powdered sugar garnish. All requested napkins were happily supplied and a soda to go was offered. Could use a little more cleaning between customers.

Tucked away just above gate 41 at terminal B. Decent brisket, sauce could be better. Overall good food. Fast service which is great for an airport pace. Pricing is as expected at an airport. Easily the best option in Terminal B

For Kansas City this place is great. In a terrible airport with no dining options MCI airport is lucky to have the Pork and Pickle. Solid five stars. Cobb salad was awesome . Ribs are great. Half chicken looks good. Pretzel and pickle appetizers were nice. And they have sweet potato fries, a rare commodity.

Only place I'd eat at the airport. Haven't been anywhere else it's just delicious. The service is fantastic. Super friendly, very accommodating. Well-made bloody Mary. They serve ONLY breakfast til 1100 and have two options: tots and meat n stuff or sammy n tots. They're good, but lunch is where it's at. The Mac n cheese is pretty good, though I wish it'd had a bit more meat. They put smoked turkey and smoked brisket on it usually. This time they didn't have turkey, so I'd thought there'd be more bits o' brisket. There didn't seem to be a lot of brisket on it. Though they did let me order a couple extra pieces of brisket al LA carte on the Mac.

Super tasty food, if a little slow with the service. The atmosphere here is great, with the to-go area being inside of an old trolley car. The servings are huge, and mine was good for 3 meals.

Food was good, service was better! We failed to get the burnt end sandwich which was probably a big mistake. This place was not as good as Joes in my opinion. The employees had to be some of the best I’ve had wait on me in a good while! Expensive for the amount of food we got.

We just arrived from Dallas for a funeral and wanted some good food. Sorry this wasn’t the place. BBQ was cold and the sauce. My fish was cold as well and they even had nerve to bring me another piece that was cold as well. Hush puppies were raw inside and the worse I’ve ever had. The only thing I enjoyed was the sprite. Please save your money and don’t eat here.

1st time here. It is a little pricey. They slice the turkey and brisket thin like deli meat. BEST ONION RINGS, EVER! Sauces are good. They know how to do spare ribs! They serve fries with everything, apperantly (no substitutions). They are good, but who needs em when ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^.

Everything was amazing about this place. Only took a star away because parking is a nightmare. Limited spots and I had someone in my party that circled 4 times w/o finding a spot then just went home. 🥺 Service was great. They have bonus room across this outside hall from main restaurant area. They still bring you your food to this area, after ordering. I had the Chicken Prosciutto Tortellini, Garlic knots and Caesar salad. The garlic knots were soooooo good. They had this crispiness on the outside and warm soft bread inside. It was a textural joy to eat. Tortellini was a nice portion and I enjoyed it as well. The Caesar was nothing special and wouldn’t order again. The dining area was so charming. It is very loud when full of ppl. I couldn’t hear my table conversation very well. Definitely going back to try more menu items. I like that it’s been there since the 1920’s. I like old school vibes.

Cupini’s is one of those spots that feels welcoming the second you walk in. We love their back patio, it has a cozy feel and the live music always adds a fun touch. Their pizzas are amazing, the kind you keep thinking about later, and the margaritas are always solid. The staff is friendly and quick, and you can tell they care about the food. Inside they have a deli style setup with fresh pasta and desserts that make it hard not to grab something extra. The atmosphere is relaxed and never feels rushed, so it is easy to hang out and enjoy. It is a place you look forward to coming back to again and again.

Kansas City Gem Cupini's what a fantastic Italian restaurant!! It sure is a little place but the flavors are huge! I live in Chicago where l've had some of the best Italian food...''l tell you straight up Cupini's can compete all the pasta is made fresh In house, the sauces are delicious. I definitely went out the box and got the spaghetti squash dish, needed something different to much KC BBQ...but I'm happy I did it was amazing in flavor and spaghetti had perfect texture it was kinda crazy actually. My wife still makes this dish at home that's how much she loved it! Service was on point felt very welcomed. 100% recommend!

I've been here numerous times. I enjoy it every time. The food is fresh, they also have a refrigerated case with fresh pastas,sauces, etc to buy. The dessert case is always a must. Parking is difficult but worth it.

Cupini’s! We love coming down to to KCMO and eating here! My husband gets the three cheese tortellini every time and I get the spaghetti and meatballs. Every time we eat here it’s fantastic! Everything is so fresh! We love the homemade baguettes (get a whole one you won’t regret it). It’s to die for! The lemoncello is strong but that’s a good thing! Our favorite dessert is the flourless chocolate cake. The inside seating area can get a little loud during busy times like evenings. We enjoy sitting on the patio during lunch! Patio in the evening is also great with live music some nights! Chef’s kiss and kudos to everyone who works there!

This pub sits on the second floor of the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel. This was my first visit and will obviously be my last. The first issue was the difficulty of to locating the pub upon entering the hotel. The restaurant was clean, quiet, and pleasant enough. Sports were displayed on every screen. I guess that is to expected with it being marketed as a pub. However, it would have been nice if at least one screen featured something different. The service was spot on but the food was horrible. My server, Eric, did a lovely job of making me feel welcome! I ordered the Smoked BBQ Ribs, half a rack and a Spritz Refresher. The BBQ was cold, the sauce was extremely sweet. The fries were plenty but overcooked. I was sorely disappointed. Your food is a huge part of your image, and your reputation!

Overall it was a bit meh. Fries were pretty good, burger didn't have enough seasoning was a bit overcooked. That's partially in me, I asked for medium well, but it was definitely more well done and was pretty dry. Our server wasn't awful or anything like that, just not as attentive as I would have expected when there were multiple servers and they only have 10-12 tables in the place, so just a bit lackluster. To me the prices were high for the quality of food received.

There were at least 20 open tables and the lady at the front said she needed us to wait ten minutes because she just seated a big table. She asked us to leave the host stand and wait in the lobby. This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. She was also very rude about the way she said it. We decided to leave and she acted shocked.

My recent dining experience at Spectators was nothing short of outstanding, thanks to the phenomenal service provided by Davelle. From the moment we were seated, Davelle greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism that immediately set the tone for our visit. He was incredibly attentive without ever being intrusive, offering thoughtful recommendations and ensuring that every detail of our meal was perfect. Davelle managed to strike the perfect balance between efficiency and friendliness, making us feel both well cared for and completely at ease. What truly stood out was his ability to anticipate our needs and respond with such grace. It felt like we were dining at a five-star establishment. It’s rare to come across someone so committed to making every guest feel special! Davelle is a true asset to Spectators.

Delicious for breakfast. I was very happy with my meal. It you like spicy and flavor, try the caliente skillet. Service was outstanding.

Fast, friendly service. The burger was perfectly cooked medium, as ordered. They were fine with us sharing a meal between 2 people. Kettle chips appear to come from the store, which is OK by me. Not too noisy so you can chat. Would recommend.

Overall they’re pretty good. The atmosphere, I feel, is a bit confusing. It’s “Spectators” and is trendily decorated with sports memorabilia and art, but the rest of the ambiance is upper-scale. Like I said, overall lovely place to grab a beer, just a bit pricey.

We ate on the second floor in a cozy booth. The atmosphere was great and the food fantastic. Our server checked in on us, but wasn't pushy. We had calamari, steak frites, and seafood tortellini. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Also had a few drinks that were very well made. I definitely recommend to make a reservation!

Grabbed a quick weekday lunch with some coworkers here. It was a nice day so opted to sit on the patio, which had great umbrella coverage. The bowls were very fresh and vibrant. The burger was very solid, nothing too exciting. The spinach and artichoke dip was creamy and filling. Overall a good spot

First time in the upstairs dining, which I highly recommend for date nights. You’ll need a reservation upstairs so plan ahead. Tonight we started with the Crab Rangoon dip which is made with real lump crab and delicious. She had the Bibimbap Bowl with shaved prime rib and I had the Prime Rib Sandwich with Brussels sprouts the side. All very tasty. The Prime Rib was rubbed in espresso and very flavorful. We topped the night off with crème brûlée topped with berries. 5/5 — The Rockhill Grille did not disappoint!

Stopped in for a drink & dessert. The bartender was warm and easy to talk to, the cocktail was great, but this strawberry shortcake was the star of the show!! Truly a gem - don’t pass this up! I can only imagine that the rest of their food is also delicious!

So. Good. Came here for date night, atmosphere was very relaxed, drinks were delicious, food was fantastic!! We started with the tuna poke and it was mouthwatering!! I had an espresso martini and the seafood tortellini 10/10! My husband had the Rockhill Collin’s and the steak frites also 10/10.

A Perfect Sunday Night at Rockhill Grille We absolutely love Rockhill Grille in downtown KCMO. The food is always wonderful, and the ambiance strikes that perfect mellow note—sophisticated yet comfortable. Our server was fantastic: attentive without hovering, warm without being overbearing. It made us feel cared for without feeling interrupted. The food was delicious across the board. I was initially a little bummed to learn they’d removed my favorite cucumber cocktail from the menu—but it turned out to be a happy twist of fate. I ordered an appletini instead, and it was as if the universe was nudging me to try something new. And I’m glad I did! We were celebrating my husband’s 43rd birthday, and the whole evening felt like exactly what we needed—a relaxed, elevated, and memorable Sunday night vibe. Rockhill continues to be one of our favorite spots in the city.

Rockhill Grille is one of the best spots in Kansas City. I’ve been a few times now and every visit has been consistently great. The food is always on point. The burger is one of my favorites in town and the steak is cooked exactly how you want it. You can tell they put care into every plate that comes out. The space feels classy but still comfortable, so it works whether you're grabbing a casual lunch or going out for a nice dinner. The staff is friendly, professional, and always makes you feel welcome without being over the top. The cocktails are strong and well made, and there’s a good selection of wines and local beers too. I sat on the patio last time and had one of those perfect Kansas City evenings. If you’re looking for a place that gets everything right without trying too hard, Rockhill Grille nails it. It’s the kind of place you find yourself coming back to again and again.

Wanted a side from another menu item which I was happy to pay for and was told no. They are servings for 2 in each individual pre made just for that entree. They are not busy, it is late so probably won’t use it all before closing. Terrible. Service was awful. So was most of food. Goat cheese heirloom tart was all crust & tomatoes. The so called pickles are cucumbers sprinkled with vinegar. Ham gravy tasted like raw flour as did the breading on the fried chicken wing. The breading on the breast was good but all I. All I have had much better fried chicken. Never got salad I ordered. Deviled eggs gritty & leave an after taste that is unpleasant The honey goat cheese dip was the best thing we were served. Couldn’t get a side of collard greens even though it was late because it was a side for another dish even though I was willing to pay for it. They really don’t seem to have good customer service.

My fiancé and I were excited to try this spot, but unfortunately the experience fell short. It took about 12–15 minutes before our server even greeted us, which set a poor tone from the start. The water tasted off (not what I’d expect from a place that presents itself as more upscale), and when my coffee arrived, the cup looked dirty—which I’ve included photos of. On the positive side, the cinnamon bun was delicious and honestly the highlight of our visit. However, the main course was very disappointing. I ordered the chicken and toast, which had no seasoning at all, and the toast itself was undercooked. For the price and the atmosphere they’re going for, I expected much better quality. Sadly, this is not a place I’d recommend or plan to revisit. If you’re looking for a good breakfast, I’d suggest going to snooze down the road instead.

On a Saturday afternoon this place is buzzing with people. Just when you think it’s too crowded, you realize when you’re seated. That you don’t have that crowded because the restaurant is quite spacious. I totally enjoyed the vibe, and the great service from Kate. Cinnamon bun- They are known for their cinnamon bun. This dessert is offered as an appetizer and it’s huge. You literally can share this with another person. I like the fact the frosting wasn’t overly sweet. The cinnamon bun was warm and chewy but not doughy. Some may like it more drier but I prefer it how Rye makes it. Shrimp and grits- Nice serving size.. Grits were creamy and plenty of shrimp. Only issue for me was the sauce, it tasted more like a watered down bbq sauce. That flavor was off putting to me. Chicken fried steak- This entree can easily feed two people. The steak was fried perfectly and seasoned well. I would suggest though, use mashed potatoes that are not instant potatoes. The instant potatoes blended too much into the gravy and you couldn’t tell them apart. Smoked short rib hash- This dish had so much potential but it fell short due to the blandness of the flavor. To me the only flavor that stood out was lemon. But from what I read of the description of the dish. There is no lemon, so why did it have a sour (lemon) undertone flavor? Cocktails- Amazing

It was a hot and humid day and I stopped in just for a drink and a couple glasses of water. I sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender. She played an LP, which was fun. The bar area was nice and there were many gathered there for happy hour. They have sweet treats there too which looked delicious.

I got the Grilled Peach, Farro, & Arugula salad with fried chicken breast on top. It was SO GOOD. I find it baffling that the salads out here are as good, if not even slightly better, than what I get in California. Phenomenal food. Sat at the bar and the bartender was nice and attentive.

My new favorite brunch spot. Service was fast and friendly. Food was fantastic and the Cinnamon roll was one of the best I've ever had.

From the food to the service to the atmosphere, it was all amazing! We at at the Chefs Bar, and our server Lauren, the GM Milissa and the Chef Ben all were amazing! We went all out with cocktails, appetizer, steak and dessert, and everything was phenomenal! It is a privilege to be able to eat as well as we did at The Rye. We are absolutely planning our next visit and are excited to share this KC gem with our friends and family! Thank you Rye staff and especially Miss Milissa for an unforgettable night!!

Must go place. My favorite. Surprised KC restaurant quality and quantity. Fresh flavors and beautiful, space and quiet. Near by Nelson-Atkins museum. Body and mind all full of good treatment

We went for the food. I’m sure more goes for the art, but it’s a good spot to grab a bite if you want to try a less crowded and different place. The server was very friendly. The food was really good, it’s not much but it’s enough to get your fill. They do have adult beverages, mimosas.

Café Sebastienne was a great choice for Father’s day brunch. Not pictures we started with lamb sausages which were basic, but delicious. I had the biscuits and gravy with breakfast potatoes and the gravy was excellent. Creamy and full of flavor, and the biscuits and potatoes were great too. My girlfriend and her father had the Eggs Benedict and the the yolks were perfect with the English muffins. Her father’s husband had the pork hash and loved it as well. Pictured is the lime cake which had cotton candy on top. The cake was moist and full of flavor. Service was also excellent, and I will be keeping Cafe Sebastienne in mind for the future.

Great staff and ambiance! Perfect for museum date, and parking is very easy. However, I had grilled chicken for $18. The chicken was a bit dry and the portion was very small. Definitely not worth the money. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Don’t know why it took me this long to try this place out, since I’m obsessed with anything brunch related. I just loved the setting of this place, just the fact that it’s in Kemper Museum surrounded by eclectic art makes it worth the visit. We tried their biscuits and gravy, squash and goat cheese omelette and French toast with raspberry purée and ice cream. Such a good meal experience, I couldn’t get enough of the crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside smashed potatoes. The French toast was incredible and we didn’t even need the syrup because the ice cream and berry purée were all it needed. The omelette wasn’t anything special and next time I will probably try their cornbread and something more adventurous. Also wish they had more dessert options than ice cream. Definitely recommend this spot to all the KC foodies.

The food here was delicious. I ordered the Kobe Beef Hash and the Crab Cakes/Eggs Benedict. They were both divine. The cafe is located inside the museum with art lining the walls. It's a wonderful place for brunch and drinks.

The venue is very neat. You are surrounded by contemporary art (totally not my thing) underneath a glass ceiling. The staff is very friendly and service is ok. I ordered the biscuits and chorizo and lamb gravy. The biscuit was a cornbread type of biscuit. It was very dense and lacked flavor. The gravy (not pictures) was utterly disappointing as well. I was expecting an explosion of flavor with the chorizo and lamb, but received a flavorless speckled paste you would expect from a 7th grade home economics class. The consistency was off and it needed salt. Well, not just salt; love. It was bad. The eggs that came with the meal must have been cooked in the same 7th grade class. The texture was great, but again... No flavor. The potatoes that accompanied the meal were fantastic. Beyond delicious. The crispy skin was a surprise, and welcomed after the biscuit. They were heavily season; I actually rolled them on the eggs hoping to rescue the meal. If you like crisp bacon, this is the place. I love crisp bacon. The bacon was perfect. The sangria and mimosa were fantastic. The menu is very small, which is fine; however, the few items should be executed with greater attention. I probably won't return, nor recommend Cafe Sebastian. The KC food scene is too good to return to a meh meal.

First good Thai food I’ve had since moving to Kansas! They give you two fried eggs with the chicken grapow but I had already started digging in before I took the picture. Highly recommend!

I have been going to Thai Place frequently ever since I was introduced almost 5 years ago. The food is so flavorful and delicious. My favorite by far is the Yellow Curry with Chicken and I get it almost every single time I go. The staff is very courteous and attentive, and I have always left with a full stomach. I highly recommend!

By far best in KC. Mother-In-Law Beef should not be missed. Huge Portions round out a truly 5 star experience. Very Helpful Wait Staff. Broke my order into 3 bags since they were going different places.

3 Stars – Thai’d Up and Confused Came here for lunch with three friends, and while we left full, we also left… confused. The food came out in waves like we were playing some kind of spicy relay race — one person would get their food, eat, and then cheer the next one on as their dish finally showed up. Very Hunger Games meets dining out. The Pad Thai? Let’s just say it was more “Pad Sigh.” Saucy in all the wrong ways and somehow both soggy and dry? A magic trick, really. BUT — the Crab Rangoon? Absolute fire. If it were socially acceptable, I would’ve ordered a dozen and called it a day. Crunchy, creamy, and delicious enough to make me temporarily forget that my entrée was MIA. Would I come back? Maybe. Would I bring a stopwatch and a backup meal? Also maybe.

This was my first time and I was impressed. I was with a large group of 15 and another large group walked in right after. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. I will be back to try more dishes.

Consistently high quality food. They have a great lunch special, with discounted prices, and your meal comes with soup or salad and two crab rangoons. I went to lunch and asked if I could substitute my soup/salad option with more crab rangoons and they obliged, that is the kind of service you can expect. They will give you the spice level you ask for, so if it's your first time go with a more mild level of spice, they are happy to add more spice for you if you don't find it spicy enough. My favorites: beef pad thai with a spice level between medium +, and hot. Their Volcano soup is the best Tom Yum I've ever had, and I enjoy thai hot spice level with that dish. The soup is big enough for a meal, and I usually crave it so much I get takeout Volcano soup about once a week. You've been warned! Update: I have found going for their Tom Yum soup near closing will make the soup inedible and taste like dirty water, with a mix of soap. This causes the oil in the soup to rise to the top, and the aftertaste is simply foul. I can no longer justify the price, because the to-go soup is inedible. It disappoints my taste buds and my wallet. Furthermore they have gotten my order wrong on several occasions, #1: they gave my order away to someone with a similar sounding name... and remade mine when I showed up for pick up (that poor man received *Thai Hot* beef pad thai) #2: I ordered beef pad thai (Thai hot), and a full order of rangoons, only to receive an order of *no spice* pad thai and my order of rangoons. I returned after finding it had no spice at all (very odd for an order asking for the hottest of the hot) and they remade my order, but only made it mild- I just kind of gave up at that point and made it spicier at home. I don't really understand how such an amazing establishment has fallen so fast. I just can't order from here with the failures due to the price. The price does not warrant such inconsistencies. Up(per)date: The pad thai recently has been up to standards, with the spice level (Thai Hot) meeting expectations, so if I need a fix of *their* pad thai I will go there. However, on a recent pad thai lunch take-out order of crab rangoons (2 come complimentary with the lunch order without cost), I ordered an additional half order of another 4 rangoons, but did not receive the complimentary 2 rangoons as well ((I should have received 6 total- full order is 8, so half is 4 + 2 complimentary should equal (=) 6)). This felt like another complete slight on their loyal customer, was it a true mistake, or do they believe I am stupid? Please bring back the quality, quantity, care, attentiveness, and prestige you used to guarantee! I hope I can become, once again, one of your biggest fans and rave about the Thai Place again! (You guys gave me many years of great service, so I will not lower my review, but know my review is not a reflection on the current standards of your establishment to date.)

Always a wonderful experience at Happy Gillis! Very nice laid back brunch atmosphere. The food is consistently delicious and it’s apparent that the General Manager cares and takes pride in the dishes that leave the kitchen, from presentation to taste. There are a few yummy vegetarian options, 🍳 which is perfect for me, and a really nice pain au chocolat. 🍫 🥐 Highly recommend!

Best biscuits and gravy in all of Kansas City! I recommend adding eggs or bacon on top with your order. Very chill and cutesy breakfast spot near the river. Good coffee. Fun place to eat brunch with friends. Highly recommend making a stop here if you are visiting or have not tried it yet. 5 stars!

I've been here 3 times and cannot stop raving about how delicious the food is, how nice the interior is, how friendly the staff are... everything is fabulous. The mushroom gravy is absolutely amazing; I've eaten it with a spoon like it's soup! Update: still have the exact same feelings many years later! Every food item has been delicious. Today we raved over the Butternut tartine!

Happened upon here while walking around this neighborhood during my stay at a nearby hotel. After checking reviews, I decided to try some breakfast and enjoyed it quite a bit. I had eggs, bacon, biscuits and I added a side of gravy. I was a little disappointed at the cost for adding gravy but it was a substantial amount and was pretty tasty. Service was faster than I expected and everything was prepared perfectly. Plenty of seating was available and I had no wait to order which was a surprise given what many other reviews seemed to mention—maybe I lucked out. In any event, highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area.

Oh my, this place has become my go-to for delishness. the biscuits and gravy are amazing, absolutely PERFECT over easy eggs and thick cut bacon. It was a flavor explosion. Even ate next to Grahm Zusi last vist...what a cool place.

If you want to wait over an hour for your food, eat here . The wait was ridiculous. Obviously understaffed and the robot servers may have something to do with this. Seems like they are taking our jobs . Would much rather an actual person wait on me but it cuts costs for the owner as if they weren't making enough money. Food was cold soggy and fries were cold. Don't eat here.

The Phili cheesesteak was really good, and was recommended by our lovely server Kara! She took great care of us and added to the experience. Overall would recommend!!

Great place for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city to relax and refuel. The spinach dip is an ENTIRE MOOD served in a little cast-iron dude with fresh, salty chips😌 and the Country fried steak was seasoned to perfection! Add in the awesome, friendly atmosphere and it's a total win! Will definitely be back!

The food was absolutely delicious, and that’s the main reason I’m not giving a lower rating. However, I have to mention that my “stuffed chicken” wasn’t actually stuffed — it was just two pieces of chicken with some sauce in between. The service was very quick, and our server was incredibly kind. The only downside was a slightly odd smell in the restaurant; they should pay more attention to cleaning. Because of that, I’m giving four stars.

Hello Olive Garden, You are the most hyped restaurant in US especially to try Italian food. I’m sure it’s definitely worth a visit , but you should be prepared that there will be a lot of people always in this restaurant. We went to try their items , though it’s raining there are a lot of people and it smells kind of bad. But overall, they have a very good restaurant management system, and they are trying their best to cope up to the customers Items we tried — Fried Shrimp 🍤 — Desserts Both the items are very good and tasty, I definitely recommend to try once. The saddest part of Italian food for me is, it’s just a one time visiting food. So if you want to have a new vibe to enjoy, then I definitely recommend visiting Olive Garden in Italian restaurant. Got right in on a Sunday evening. Everything started good! Server Nelly S was attentive and very nice. She was a bright spot on this visit. The problem was with the food. And the bugs flying around and landing on the food. I ordered the Chicken Margarita and broccoli, the chicken was overcooked and tough and the broccoli was undercooked.

We had a beautiful waitress. She was great with us. I don’t have any pictures to show but the food was good.

My favorite Olive Garden location is here in Overland Park, Kansas ! Always great atmosphere and easy going feeling here! Never too crazy! We’ve been coming back again and again and asking for Caroline who is always fast, knowledgeable and courteous! I can always count on Olive Garden to provide a happy, welcoming and consistent food experience when I really want it! I Highly recommend this location to Olive Garden lovers everywhere !!!

This was a redemption trip. After having previous bad experiences, we decided to give this location one more shot. We are very glad that we did. The food was great and the service was on par with the "family oriented" experience that olive garden touts. The new seafood mushrooms that we ordered in our appetizer sampler are definitely not going to be re-ordered. They were extra fishy and the filling seemed like a frozen seafood blob that was plopped into the center of a mushroom and baked. However the calamari, kids pizza, salad, and create your own pasta was delicious.

Won't order delivery again. They promote that their prices are the same for delivery but what they don't tell you is that they charge you three separate prices to have the food delivered, as you'll see on the attached photo, totaling in almost $14 extra dollars, that includes: a delivery fee, a to-go specialist fee, and a delivery fee. I mean, this is ludacris. A "to go specialist" fee? So someone contacts Uber to come pick up the food & they get $4.30? Come on Olive Garden!

Artegos is a great pizza spot in KC! The restaurant itself is great - full of great art and good service. Tonight I tried the gluten free (GF) pizza since my GF boyfriend was in town. He said he was really good for being GF. It’s pretty small though so if you have a big appetite, keep this in mind! Their original crust is amazing! No pics of that in this review but if you can eat gluten - get that original crust for sure! Artegos wings are also outstanding. Crispy and flavorful! Would always recommend a visit to Artegos if you’re looking for awesome pizza!

This was our first visit to Artego Pizza. It has been on our Pizza List for a year or so. We were not at all disappointed. Katie seated us quickly, and she was beyond top-notch for service. We order the 39th Street Pizza minus the black olives for the hubby. We normally order a thin crust, but both of us completely forgot as we were getting to know Katie. Mike delivered our pizza nice, hot, and fresh about 10-15 minutes later. We talked a little to Mike and got some good back story on the restaurant. I also got a side of pesto for the crust, so delicious and fresh. We are about 2 hours south of KC, but we will definitely come back here. I would have given a 10 on service because that was totally how amazing Katie and Mike were.

Pizza was great, service was good. Mozzarella sticks weren't amazing, but overall a nice place to grab a bite. Would recommend

I have been looking for a place that had good wings! I had heard so many good things about this place so I had to check it out. These were exactly what I was looking for! The wings were huge compared to other places. I definitely enjoyed everything that I got.

Awesome 1st trip - they just started lunch, so we lucked out. Had the 39th Street pizza - oh my gosh. Fantastic crust, sauce, toppings, cheese. Visited with Katie A. who served us and she was great. Mike from the kitchen came out and shared the history of the place and the art background.

Delicious. The crust is amazing and the cheese was bubbly and crisp. I got bacon Mac n cheese and half bruschetta. The bruschetta was a little rich, but the pizza was still divine. The bacon was so crisp. Texturally, this hit all of my spots.

This place was amazing! The pizzas we ordered were absolutely delicious. The taco pizza was the best taco pizza I've ever had! The crust was delicious, and the flavor was great! Our waiter was so kind as well! Highly recommend! 👌

Guys you can see if you follow me that I do not write many bad reviews unless there’s a reason for it. I have not been to this Buffalo wild wings in probably two years so upon entering, I was expecting it to be like it was before, but the service is horrible. The place is dirty and they only had two waitresses. One of the waitresses was also a bartender, and no one was even there to welcome us when we walked in the door. I don’t know if they were just having a bad day, but this looks like people at Buffalo wild wings specifically this Independence location have gotten extremely lazy. we seated ourselves in the bar area because we figured someone would notice us if we’re there and then finally the bartender came over to give us water. She was doing everything she could. I’m not blaming any of this on her. It takes a very long time to get our food… there’s probably 20 tables full so it was a lot for the two maybe three of them them to be going through. When our food came There wasn’t any celery on the plate or when we asked for some what she brought out was horrible. It was like it had been in the refrigerator for 710 days and it was brown on the ends and stringy and it just looked like it. Honestly, it just looked like time for the garbage. but the rest of the food was like I said just OK I couldn’t get over the fact of how dirty the place was how unkept it was. The bathroom was gross, so I am not gonna give my stamp of approval on this one. I’m not sure that I’ll ever be back.

Overall, the food was good. Had one batch of wings that were a little dry. Philly cheese steak with beer cheese was Great! Pretzel knots we're amazing!

Server did what she could for us, Literally played 3 games of trivia and got our food before our beers. Second round took just as long. Easily 1 hour of wait just for drinks. Rest of staff was no help. Server said it was a issue with the bar. Empty bar nearly empty family dining. Just drive by this place and go to lees summit or belton and don't waste your money here. Hopefully management sees this and gets head out of asses around here.

Absolute worst experience. I was with my family of 5 and we got seated right away but no one ever showed up to take our order. We waited over 25 minutes before walking away. I said something after waiting 15 minutes to the hostess and my mother in law said something after waiting another 5 minutes. Still no one saw us. No one ever acknowledged us the entire time. We felt completely ignored. Several servers passed by our table but never looked our way. I’d rather drive further away to Lee’s summit than come back here again.

My son is Autistic and BWW is his go-to. We visit often, and I must say, they have improved greatly from just a year ago. There was a period in the past when the service was not great, and they were out of what seemed to be half of the menu. I don't know if it was a management change or they were just experiencing supply issues, but the last several visits have been great! Food is always fresh, and the staff is great!

If I am in the area on Tuesdays or Thursdays I make it a point to come in and get wings. On Tuesday and now Thursday I have been super disappointed with my food. The wings weren't saucy on Tuesday when I got traditional and today I got boneless and you can't even consider some of these wings, not even chicken nuggets. I had one that was just a dry little Asian zinc puck. Super disappointed. I will change my review when I get better food. I will be coming back regardless

I wasn’t very impressed with the food. It was quite bland, and I had to add extra seasoning myself. I ordered the biscuits and gravy along with the sweet potato fries, but the fries were soggy. I was disappointed, especially since this was my first time here and I had heard such good things.

Wow! Meals were great, portions were huge and server was very friendly. Can’t go wrong with the Black Bear especially if you have a big appetite. Pot Roast dinner was $15.99 and came with a nice side salad. Tri Tip Dip sandwich was $14.38. Had Pot roast at Corner Cafe last week and it did not hold a candle to the Black Bear in taste, price or portion size.

Ate here for dinner. No wait to be seated and our server Gavin was very attentive and provided great service. I ordered the meatloaf with sweet potato fries. The fries weren't all that good but the meatloaf was delicious and very filling. Best I've had in a long time. Recommend coming here to eat

Wanted a quick, not pricy good restaurant for a meal. Even though the place had a lot of customers, we were immediately seated and food came fast. I had the meatloaf dinner which was very large and wife had the taco salad which was also large. Server was efficient and nice. Would recommend

I ordered a birthday dinner to go. They shoved everything in one container. The pancakes squished my over easy eggs and soaked it all up so, the pancakes were soggy. I drove all the way back up there for them to redo it. They gave me fresh eggs and 2 tiny pieces of bacon with THE SAME PANCAKES THAT ARE SOAKED AND SOGGY!!! I went back up there again and they gave me a new stack. But seriously? That is ridiculous. Awful customer service!! For a $15 meal this is ridiculous!!

What a great place! We really enjoy having breakfast here. Food was very good, great taste and nothing to regret. The ambiance makes you feel relaxing while fueling your body. The service is great, always making sure you have what you ask and as soon as posible. Not to crowded, So you dont have to wait to much cause they have enough space. Great to come with your family.

We had a great time sitting on the patio on a Friday night. The patio is dog friendly. We absolutely LOVED the food. We had the meatballs to start. I had the Australian prawns and my husband had the Aussie burger. For dessert we had the caramel slice. The food was beyond amazing and the service was great. We love their cafe and this is the perfect extension of that. If this is what Australian food is like I want to go there immediately.

Wow! This place did NOT disappoint! Quaint, modern bistro with a wooden slat wall full of hanging plants and windows all around to let in tons of natural light. I had an iced vanilla latte and the Quinoa Watermelon salad. My daughter had an iced Chai tea latte and the biscuits and gravy. The drinks were fabulous. The Chai had just the right amount of spice. We could really taste the clove and cinnamon. The coffee was smooth and mild. They even did decaf for me. The biscuits were fresh, and the sausage gravy was very tasty. Thick and creamy and almost tasted healthy. My salad was phenomenal. Served on a bed of fresh arugula, cubed watermelon and quinoa featuring grilled halloumi cheese, and toasted macadamia nuts made for a very tantalizing taste experience. A very light vinaigrette with a touch of chili completed the masterpiece.

Good amount of gluten-free options, including actually-good GF toast (still rare!), and a selection of desserts. The service and atmosphere were lovely. The prices were a bit steep for the type of food and drink offered, but ultimately, it was understandable given the location and likely overhead costs. My favorite food item was the mushroom-beet toast. Haven't had anything like it before, and I was pleasantly surprised!

I’d say the food is pretty good, the sausage rolls were great. Didn’t try the pies but looked amazing and everyone around had ordered one so I’d say they are quite popular as well. The cappuccino wasn’t bad but the bean had a very acidic aftertaste so not my flavor but perhaps some people quite like that Lamingtons were nice just wish they had more jam inside and the sponge was a bit grainy for my taste but again a matter of taste.

First off, it’s slow. Which fine, maybe you’re taking it easy. No worries. Second of all, I ordered an eggs Benedict and got closer to an omelette on bread. No ham, so they offered me bacon. But he clearly had already cooked and plated jt before informing me they were out. Subpar. Bummer. The aussies are good at brekkie; this isn’t good.

While visiting Kansas City for a volleyball tournament, we planned to grab a quick bite at Chipotle but ended up discovering an amazing Aussie-inspired restaurant instead—and we’re so glad we did! As the wife of an Australian, I was immediately drawn to this unique bistro that brings a taste of Australia to the Midwest. We arrived early for dinner, fresh off a flight, and were just looking for something light as it was technically our late lunch. The happy hour menu had great options at even better prices. We ordered the margherita pizza, grazing platter, and polpette meatballs. I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, and my daughter enjoyed a Shirley Temple. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The total came to just around $44 before tip, and we left completely full with leftovers. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, yet upbeat and contemporary—perfect for families, travelers, and anyone looking for a break from chain restaurants. I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Kansas City or searching for “Aussie food near me,” “best happy hour KC,” or “family-friendly restaurants Kansas City.” We’re already planning to return tomorrow to try their Australian meat pies and sausage rolls, which are my daughter’s all-time favorites. This place is a must-visit for fans of international cuisine or anyone looking to try something new in Kansas City! Second Visit – Still Delicious with a Few Misses (and a Fun Aussie Twist) We enjoyed our first visit so much that we came back the next day for lunch so my daughter could try the sausage roll and meat pie. Unfortunately, they were out of the lamb meat pie, so she went with the beef—it was good, but we both agreed we’d love to try the lamb next time. She also had the lamb sausage roll instead of the pork. I had a bite and thought it was tasty, but we’ll have to go back and compare it to the pork version. Both pastries were perfectly flaky, though I have to admit—it’s hard to beat my husband’s! For dessert, we tried the lamington. It was good, though a bit dry for my taste, and I wasn’t a fan of the raspberry filling (if that’s what it was). I’m more used to a traditional lamington, which I personally prefer. That said, my daughter loved it—she said it reminded her of a mashup between a lamington and an Iced VoVo biscuit. I ordered the pork belly, lentil, and spinach salad. The salad itself was fresh and well-balanced, but I wish the pork belly had more flavor—maybe I’m just used to BBQ-style pork belly with a smokier, more seasoned profile. Bonus: The table numbers are labeled with letters, and each one has a fun Aussie fact on it—which we loved! It’s a charming detail that adds to the experience and gives you a little conversation starter while you wait. We’re already planning to come back again—next time to try the mini pavlovas!

I have had trouble with quality here in the past. I thought "i saw those new dippers on tv. Ill give them another shot" Ok, so i go on the bebsite to order. They are out. Great. So i can adjust, lets just stick with the original plan, all i really want is paneras famous bread. Reasonable right? I try to call and place an order. Im told they only doordash now. Ok, now this is a nightmare. Doordash has not once had my order correct, but again, I thought "whats the worst that can happen?" This is what i got. Storebought loaf bread. From PANERA! I bet a person would have mentioned that BEFORE i paid the extra convenient fees. DOORDASH WILL RUIN YOUR BUSINESS! I will not be "giving it one more shot" ever again.

Friendly service. Food was ok. I ordered the soup and salad pick 2. Came out quickly. The restaurant was dirty. There was debris on the floor and on the seats. I would not return to this location unless they clean up.

I am so disappointed in what I received today for my 33rd Birthday. First, their bouquet was just full of lettuce. My husband paid nearly 50 dollars for something that could have been created at home. It's not worth it for just lettuce. Second, the pineapples were all cores and were inedible. A few pictures are shown of the parts I couldn't eat eat. Third, the strawberries were not of good quality as they were beginning to go bad and it was delivered to my job today, not on time might I add. Pictures are available. Finally, I had a 1 at the top and I turned 33 which was not something that was originally ordered. I am so disappointed! The Gentleman working was a delight! From the moment we entered he was friendly and helpful. I had the Italian sandwich with a bag of salt and vinegar chips, tea and a DELICIOUS Carmel. Everything was wonderful!! I would highly recommend. I am trying the mac and cheese next time 😋

I ordered the Roasted sweet potato quinoa from Foodsby, it was so good. i would order it again. I have ordered the candied bacon wedge salad and it was also good. I don't think I have ordered anything from them that I didn't like.

Cozy and unassuming. I thought the only tenants in the building were Long and Robinson LLC, so finding another place for lunch near my work felt like finding a hidden gem. I went there for lunch and loved the tator tots. I can't say much on the chocolate just yet, but their selection of flavored oreos is inventive. The atmosphere is also really chill and great for people watching.

Tried it again and was impressed. Burger was great. Tots were good. But the cinnamon roll was outstanding!

Sat outside which was nice. The drinks were great and the service even better. As an app we ordered the wings. Very good and full sized. The tiger sauce was flavorful and could be added to anything. For the entree, I ordered the platter which came with pulled pork, sliced brisket and Thai sausage. The pork was juice and tender and the brisket was ok but that Thai sausage was the best. As a side I got the Mac and cheese.stay away from the Mac. It was watery and almost no flavor.

This is KC style thai food! They have the authentic thai dishes topped with the finest KC style BBQ in each dish. If you like both worlds the brisket pho is a must! They are busy during lunch hours so the atmosphere is a bit loud and bustling. Avoid those times if you want to dine in peace. The menu is a bit on the pricey end and the portions are not overwhelming. Overall service is great, so if you are in the area, definitely check this place out!

After reading a favorable review on Buck Tui BBQ, where KC BBQ and Thai come together, we tried it out today and were not disappointed. Starting with brisket Rangoon’s, they were phenomenal (sorry no picture). We both had a two-meat platter, one pulled pork, Thai sausage, and pineapple fried rice, the other brisket, Thai sausage, and potato salad. The server was quick and polite and portions big (we brought leftovers home). Will go back to sample other things on the menu.

The brisket fried rice was out of this world—a wild, brilliant fusion I never knew I needed. The flavors were perfectly balanced. The spicy peppers made me tear up like I was eating Thai food, but the sweetness of the barbecue cut through all that heat for a mind-blowing contrast.

This place was so good! Very unique and a complete twist on KS bbq with Thai fusion that gives an explosion of flavor! I’m telling you, the flavors are mi d blowing!! Best sausage dumplings I’ve ever had! Do not sleep on this place!! I do not live anywhere near Kansas but I will be back again and again!

Great, authentic, and flavorful Thai food. Some dishes were adapted to fit the BBQ style, but the Thai flavor is there. There is plenty of space for both small and big parties and plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant. I will be back again.

I was looking for something different and the brisket Rangoon caught my eye on line and brought me in. The thought of bbq thai fusion was intriguing. I was greeted immediately but was on my own so opted to sit at the bar. The bartender was very knowledgeable about the menu, the food and the business. I told her I had come in for the rangoon and told her I didn’t want straight Thai or straight BBQ but to pick anything she would recommend. I told her I have a high heat tolerance, no weird food allergies and like just about everything. She chose the red curry burnt ends with steamed rice. The manager joined us and we all had great conversation about the food, food in general and their sister restaurant Muni in the River Market. Food, service, presentation and atmosphere were all fantastic. All of the recommendations were spot on. I look forward to my next opportunity.

From the moment I walked through the door, the service and atmosphere were absolutely outstanding. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making me feel celebrated from start to finish. Every detail was thoughtfully handled — they explained the menu with care, checked in often, and made sure my evening was special. The food was superb. On Sundays they offer Surf and Turf at a set menu price which consists of a 3 course meal. The Bubbles and Berries cocktail tasted similar to a cherry-limeade. The smoking effect from the dry ice added such a touch of drama and elegance. The drink itself was perfectly crafted, refreshing and delicious. The dry ice made it seem extra special. It wasn't just a beverage, it was a little show right there at our table Service was equally impressive. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. The waitstaff was also attentive, ensuring our water glasses were full and anticipating our needs without being intrusive. I recommend it for special occasion or looking for a top-tier dining experience.

The atmosphere and food were wonderful but our server Alex was hands down the best!! He was professional, fun, prompt in service and did a great job making suggestions/recommendations for us that helped us have an amazing dining experience. We enjoyed our night and can’t wait to come back.

This was our first time here and probably our last. While the service was top-notch notch, the food wasn't that good. It was also overpriced for what we got. My pork chop was not all the way done, and when I inquired, our server said that's how they make it!! REALLY, raw pork...NO!!! The drinks were amazing, but also way overpriced IMHO! I had cheesecake for dessert and it had to be some of the best cheesecake I've ever had.

What an amazing experience, our server Adam was fantastic, infomative and always checking on us to ensure we were comfortable. When Adam was away checking on drinks or food the rest of the staff was checking on us to including Jeff the manager. Highly recommend this place. We will be back.

Chilean sea bass is one of my favorite dishes if done right and Ocean Prime definitely does it right! As one would expect the atmosphere is modern looking with clean lines. The service is consistent, timely and attentive throughout the experience. Definitely a go to if you have not been but be ready to spend a pretty penny! We celebrated our 5th anniversary here. From the hostess to our waiter to the support servers, everyone was so friendly and we definitely felt spoiled. They asked when we made the reservation if we were celebrating anything so as soon as we got there, the hostess and then our waiter wished us a happy anniversary. They also decorated the table and our dessert. Lots of places will ask about a celebration then barely acknowledge it, so those little gestures were really sweet. The food was delicious - Ceasar salad, lobster bisque, lamb chops, Chilean sea bass, and creme brulee. My husband asked me what my favorite part of the meal was and I couldn't choose just one thing. We also had lemon drop martinis and smoked old fashioned. They were both great. Perfect atmosphere and experience for our anniversary. Be sure and ask for Jameseon = top notch waiter

The baked goods looked amazing!!!! We did not try them tho. My husband had steak and eggs and i had the salmon bowl. It’s unfortunate but his steak was very undercooked and his eggs were also undercooked. The food looked amazing and i wish it was for him. My bowl was actually pretty good my egg was lightly poached but the rest of my food did not need to be cooked. The mushroom latte was pretty good as well. The atmosphere is very cool. We have heard great things about this place but it did not deliver. My husband ate a couple pieces of the steak and a small part of his egg and his potatoes, which were amazing, and no one asked how his food was they just came and grabbed his plate. It’s a cool place hopefully your experience is better.

Had the carnitas burrito and it was delicious, coffee was great too. The pastries looked amazing, they were flying off the shelves so they must be very good. Great ambiance and quick service, it is self seating but had no issue finding a spot. Definitely coming back to load up on pastries.

Come here for the first time is a little chaotic. The tables are quite closely packed together and making it difficult to maneuver do the water station and back. Staff are very nice, the specialty baked goods are great. The croissants unfortunately fell flat. I would still return, but there are many things on the menu I would like to try

This place has been on my bucket list for a while and I finally made time to try this place out and see what it’s all about! The desserts were overflowing! I ordered the poke bowl, the Majik amino-ade and the gluten free cheesecake! It was hard to make any decisions in this place but that just means I’ll have to make multiple trips back! It’s a unique spot in Kansas City! Everyone should visit this place at least once!

I went in for Sunday Brunch with my family a few weeks back. I had heard good things. I had the trout plate. It was excellent. Great flavors. Well prepared. Fresh and delicious. I ama trout snob, and was pleasantly surprised that they did it so well. The baguette on the side was delightful. I also tried the waffles. It is not easy to make a great gluten free baguette or waffle. But they did it! Had I not know they were gluten free, I would never have suspected it. Everything else we ordered was also praiseworthy. The restaurant was pretty full of people, but still quite comfortable. My only complaint is that the room is very loud. I am not sure if loud restaurants is a “thing”, but it is not my thing. The building they are in is a beauty. It has the decorative tile exterior which is really nice to see. The inside space is open and clear and feels great. I need to go back some time for a bread making class. That would be fun. I definitely recommend eating here!

Friends said Third Street Social in Lee’s Summit was a good place to eat, our experience was not so good. Had reservations for 5:30 on a Friday and we were seated quickly. Immediately noticed that the light at our table was so dim you could barely read the menu. Waited nearly 15 minutes to get a drink order and it was hard to hear the waitress because it was so VERY loud inside the restaurant. It was difficult for the three at our table to have a conversation. I ordered the fried half chicken ($25) with one side (grilled broccoli) and my wife got the stuffed salmon ($36). My broccoli was burnt so bad it tasted like ashes, ironically it was cold. The fried chicken had a good flavor but was very overcooked, dry and though to chew. My wife said the stuffed salmon was “so so”. Wasn’t bad but not the best. We ordered some braised pork belly burnt ends as an appetizer ($16), that was very good but a very small portion. Five very small bites. The prices are very high for what you are served and for what you pay the preparation and taste was not that good. Pretty disappointing for the amount of money we spent.

I had the Beef fillet. My wife had salmon. Both were excellent. My steak was so tender I could almost cut it with my fork. The atmosphere is great and the bar is good too. Try this one or their sister restaurants. The s’mores pie is awesome. To die for!!

Seven of us visited Third Street Social for a business dinner on April 3, 25. All of us from out of town enjoyed the best friendly, quality service. The tasty appetizers and entrees were delicious and served hot. The drinks were perfectly made. The restaurant is in a safe and well-lit area. The clean and contemporary atmosphere complimented our visit. We are already planning our return visit.

You know how you go out to eat and it is expensive and disappointing? Not here. 3rd Street is one of the places where everyone leaves satisfied. We popped in just after Christmas and everyone in our party cleaned their plates. Super unique and clever combinations. Grilled beets on a salad? Check. Savory cheese pie? Check. Worth every penny. We were beside ourselves with how much of an enjoyable experience this was.

The atmosphere is good… modern/suburban feel. Almost all of the workers are mid 20’s or younger… they all have ‘that’ personality. It’s not kid friendly, especially if you want to enjoy happy hour that starts at 3 in the afternoon. The only seating option for happy hour is the bar seating and you aren’t allowed to use a high chair over there. Summit grill is way more kid friendly. The ew oatmeal cream pie dessert was hard and not very soft like the actual oatmeal cream pies. We were told it was because they are a week old now and the pastry chef is making fresh ones today and to try having them on a Tuesday. Not very helpful when today is Monday and we’ve already ordered and paid for week old dessert 😑 the server was wicked nice and loved his vibe! You can also never go wrong with the social burger. Shrimp and grits is also a huge favorite!

I had the blackened shrimp tacos. The flavor was fantastic and the food was filling without being too heavy. The waiter did a great job and the food came out quick. I will definitely be back.

We love Third Street Social. Our favorite is the Tomahawk Rib steak--it serves two (well two and a carryout container). Served with three sauces that are divine. My husband loves the fried chicken 🍗 too. The wait staff is friendly and personable. It is a great place for a celebration or a romantic dinner for two.

Upscale for the area and always good. They have ahi tacos that are really good. Hopefully they bring back the poke nacho appetizer soon. Always good food and great service. We split a burger this trip and loved it

We were seated immediately upon entering the restaurant. Arrived during brunch time just in case we wanted breakfast food. Didn't take long for our waitress to great us and update us in the soup if the day. Because we'd been there before we knew exactly what we had a taste for. Decided to start with with shrimp appetizer, which I'm sad to hear may be going away with an upcoming menu change. Its one of my favorites, please try it if you're able. After the appetizer, we ordered the steak Street tacos and the chicken fried chicken also our favorites. There's just something so savory about the gravy used for the chicken and potatoes. But I can't leave out the flavor of the shredded steak in the Street tacos with the black beans and side of rice. Both are very filling and I don't think you could go wrong by choosing either meal.

Food was amazing, but I ordered guacamole but did not get the guacamole and since it costs $2 I was kind of disappointed. The pico and corn salsa were very flavorful and the rice and vegetables were nicely flavored and soft. It was very confusing finding the building since the GPS kept having me drive in circles around the block and there were not any obvious signs to direct me to the building. It wasn't apparent that we needed to pull in through the alley. Also the driveway where you pull into the parking lot area there is a steep slope that scraped the bottom of my lift on the back of my vehicle.

I really enjoy Clustertruck. The ease, convenience and speed of the process draws me back time. Some of the dishes are more flavorful than others (the tot-chos are really good), but with so many options, you can’t go wrong.

We have done group orders and tried many different things and absolutely EVERYTHING was delicious!! The food is fresh and hot when you receive it. It’s by far the best delivered food in the city! Highly recommend the hummus, the Pad Thai, the chicken makhani, the salmon (both kinds!), the pizza & the chicken strips!

Fast delivery, pizza was fantastic!!! The chicken tenders were so fresh and real battered not frozen! The Mac n cheese creamy and heated up creamy the next day.

No lie, one of the best little restaurants I have ever been to. We have never been to Kansas City before, & I found a blog that mentioned Baba's Pantry as the place to try in Brookside. The raves about the "best hummus in the world especially drew me". Well, I am here to witness, the hummus is indeed the best I have ever had! If you eat gluten free, you can order fresh cut cucumbers to dip, or choose delicious pita bread. The Baklava is extraordinary!! And the decor, also some of the most artistic, peaceful, attractive, colorful & unique that I've seen in the world around. Y'all, it's good. Skip the barbeque. Head to Baba's.

Seriously Authentic Delicious Food. Some people are hung up on political issues, but their food is top notch and all their products are sourced from authentic areas. Prices are fair and portions are very acceptable. Service is fast, but the place is usually crowded at peak times with relatively limited seating. Overall is your hunting authentic food this place is a must try.

In town for the week and looking for something with heart, this place popped up as a local favorite and now I understand why. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine kindness and warm energy that you could feel in the room. It was a little busy, which is always a good sign, but we scored a sidewalk table and that is totally my vibe. The Baba falafel on pita was absolutely soul satisfying. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and made with love. Inside, the decor is beyond charming. Whoever designed the space clearly knows how to mix color and texture with personality. Honestly, I want them to come decorate my house next. Grateful for this gem. It made our visit that much sweeter.

Such a cute place! So glad we made the stop in. Very unique flavors, unlike anything we have back home! The fries were INCREDIBLE! As someone who usually can’t enjoy fries without drenching them in ranch, these fries didn’t need anything! They were seasoned with an awesome blend of spices that tasted incredible without needing any sauces. We got a kebab pita & chicken shawarma wrap which were both incredible! I preferred the kebab & my partner preferred the shawarma — but we have no complaints about either! The sweet tea is not like normal sweet tea, so be prepared for something new! The daily lemonades were WOOOOONDERFUL! The service was also so great — very kind employees. Thanks for making a great visit!

Well well…. Old Scotty G gave the good word that this place has the best salsa around …. I’m like “ok let’s get this done” Royals in done and we rolling. Salsa was excellent! Service was great. Menu was great with lots of options. Food came out fast and hot (that’s good). Big Mike (MLpapa) got the Combo 4. Well played I told myself as I devoured the meal as slowly as I could. The others got some classics. See pics. Will return. Keep it up. And yes, I got chips and salsa to go for cash money TT.

2.15.2023 I wanted to like this place. I tried to like this place. The menu was so big and cluttered it was hard to read. It started off with salsa that was basically puree tomatoes with chunks of onion. The hot salsa was just ok. A bit better than the regular salsa but still basically flavorless. The beef in my burrito was watery. I'm not sure how that even happens. Runny flavorless slop. The only thing on my plate worth eating was the rice and it was mediocre at best. Also the rice wasn't even warm. My spouse had a steak burrito and the steak was chewy and flavorless. The place was run down. Our server took our order and never came back,someone else brought our food out. We will not be back. Oh our daughter enjoyed her corn dog and fries that came from a box at Costco.

Update 2/15/23 I went back in because people keep talking about how great this place is and how it's the best. Haven't been here in 4 years. This is my update. Salsa came out after drinks.. (only place iv encounter that) The salsa was definitely different by any other place. Watered down with chunks of unions and little amount of cilantro. The hot salsa was decent. Chips was salty. Ordered asada steak burrito with rice and beans. The steak was very thin and fatty and chewy. The rice was decent. Beans was watery and would move if you tap the plate. But they wasn't terrible. Seems made there. My daughter had fries and corn dog. I tried a bite. Reminded me of Costco. Wasn't terrible. Just nothing special. My spouse had beef burrito with rice. Beef was watery/mushy to say. Didn't care for the taste. The place was dead.. giving that reason I'm realizing everytime I pass it's dead. I don't think I need to State the obviously. Other place up the street is always busy. But again. To each their own. ------------------- 2019 Decent food. I'll admit it was good for being a mom and pop place. They have their whole family there so wait time was nothing. Drinks was brought before you finished.. 4 stars because the owner thought the AC bill was too high? Was kinda hot ..

Well..let's start off with my wife seen it had good reviews..but let me tell u..if u want some over priced flavorless food..it's the best in Raytown..the Asada street tacos are super fatty..and the rice has a great red coloring. The beans are good..so if u want a good bean burrito..this is the place

I have lived close to this restaurant for several years, but I never went. Today I tried it and the food and the service were both great. I wish I had tried it sooner.

First time coming to eat at The Fix and my experience went quite well. The ordering process was smooth and it didn’t take too long to get our meals. The meals were absolutely delicious! I enjoyed the Chicken Sammie, it was quite spicy with a good amount of seasoning. The “chicken” of course was just a tiny bit tough to bite into, but that’s to be expected with fake meat. But it was still quite enjoyable especially with the coleslaw. The milkshake with the fries (separate and together) were TOO good. My Friend had the Crunchwrap with beans and veggie inside which was also quite delicious. Full of flavor and filling. Additional info: When needing silverware, cups, and to go boxes, you go up and get it yourself.

Yummy vegan food We ordered the burger and the chicken quesadilla both portion were big! The taste was delicious The only thing I did not like it were French fries (too greasy), but it is a very nice spot to find good quality vegan food.

We've been wanted to dine here for a long time and finally had the opportunity today. I had the Carolina Chicken sandwich and it was superb! I loved the combo of their slaw and sauce on it. My wife had the bbq cauliflower wings and they were tasty too!

Chill restaurant vibe. The staff were helpful in understanding the menu. Really excellent food! A must try for plant based and meat eaters alike!

I highly recommend The Fix. I treated myself to a solo brunch while visiting Kansas City recently and had delicious coffee and food. Service was friendly, and there was virtually no wait to order; I decided to sit at one of their outside tables, and food arrived quickly. Everything tasted great. I had a latte, cauliflower wings, and Buffalo maple chicken biscuit. I took a treat from the bakery to go. The building was easily accessible by bus and close to other cute spots in the neighborhood.

My second time in, I love the vegan menu. I had the chicken tacos the first time - they were great! Tonight I had the build a Sammie also with the house built chicken, with a basket of fries. Delish!

This was my first visit to Caffetteria Modern Cafe & Market in Kansas City, and I wish I lived closer because I would be a regular. I went for lunch with a friend and was pleasantly surprised to see a half sandwich and salad combo for $15. I ordered the 1/2 turkey avocado sandwich with the Adam and Eve salad. At first, I worried the portions might not be filling enough, but once the food arrived I was thrilled. The serving size was generous and both the sandwich and salad were absolutely delicious. Instead of a server here, you just go up to the register and order then they will bring your food over to your table. I also loved the corner of the cafe stocked with grab-and-go items and fun kitchen trinkets. Overall, such a great spot and I would recommend it to anyone in the area.

Caffeteria is an absolute gem! I ordered the Buddha Bowl, and it was nothing short of amazing. Every bite was bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors — the vegetables were perfectly crisp, the grains cooked just right, and the dressing tied it all together with a deliciously balanced tang. The presentation was beautiful too, making it as much a feast for the eyes as for the palate. The atmosphere in the cafe is warm and modern, with just the right mix of cozy and stylish. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and clearly take pride in what they do. You can tell a lot of care goes into every dish. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers both in taste and experience, this place should be at the top of your list. I’ll definitely be coming back — and next time, I’m bringing friends!

Outstanding service tonight! Makayla & the team are amazing! Couldn’t remember everyone’s names, but very lovely service! Very helpful, I bought so many soups, such great recommendations. Love how team took their time with each guest & was able to exceed service to everyone! Job well done!

This is a really cute cafe. I had a delicious giant salad, and the staff were all very nice. The desserts looked fantastic, but since I just had a salad I didn't ruin the health kick that I was on and instead I passed by the dessert case without getting anything. I wish I did. The salads are mostly in the 16-19 dollar range. The menus don't have prices on them?... but they have a QR code to scan that shows menu items with prices.

Where has this place been all my life!?! I went in for lunch a couple weeks ago and I had the best steak sandwich I have ever had. Went back for brunch and was again floored by how wonderful everything was. The coconut dream bar is one of the best things I've ever eaten. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. It is quickly becoming a favourite.

📖I ordered carry out and it wasn't ready when I was told to arrive. No problem until I asked if they knew approximatly when my order will be ready, i could come back. first a giggle then said it should be a couple of minutes. I waited 11 minutes and finally got my order. Ive been there before, the food is really good. This day the service was just not right.

A group of my friends and I came and ate here and it was SO good 😍 A friend and I shared the pizza with mushrooms on it (can’t remember the name of it) and it was amazing, especially for not having any meat it was so good. You can tell they make their pizzas fresh and homemade and probably in a brick oven I think because the taste is very distinct and authentic. Also had a salad (again can’t remember the name) but based off the picture you can tell it was really good. It had feta cheese, avocado, corn, tortilla strips, and it was very fresh and healthy. They have lots of other cool stuff here too including some amazing looking desserts which I’ll have to try next time if I come again. Would definitely come back here again if I’m ever back in Prairie Village!
