such a beautiful bar/restaurant with stellar service. they have a huge drink menu with very unique tasting drinks - my favorite was the cloud hopper, which may be my favorite cocktail of all time. the food was beautifully presented, and it tasted delicious, but it can get expensive if you plan to fill up on food here. excited to come back again for the cloud hopper cocktail!

Lovely staff and atmosphere. Candle lit, soft background music, and intimate which makes this location ideal for date night. All cocktails were well done. The sea flower cocktails l was citrusy & crisp. The cloud hopper was fruity & delightful. Blueberry old fashion was impressive with the subtle fruit undertones. The wagyu sando (honey & truffle) was okay. I understood the complexity of the meat, but I wasn’t blown away. Potato salad & chicken karage were pretty decent. Milk toast was delicious with a crème brule-like top and tasty flavors. Be prepare for small portions & some high end prices. I will come back for cocktails and dishes under $25.

I’ve been following Kumiko for years and was really looking forward to finally visiting—but unfortunately, the service left me disappointed. Despite the bar’s reputation with World’s 50 Best and the Michelin guide, the experience felt rushed. Throughout the night, multiple staff members came by repeatedly asking if we wanted to order the next round—sometimes even while we were still halfway through our current drinks. We ended up ordering 8–10 drinks in total, so it wasn’t a case of lingering without engaging. Still, the constant prompts made us feel like they wanted to turn the table, which was surprising given there was no mention of any time limit during the reservation or while we were there. The drinks themselves were well-executed and enjoyable, though priced on the higher side (most over $25)—understandable given today’s costs, but worth noting. Overall, I had hoped for a more relaxed, guest-centered experience. Great cocktails should be savored—not rushed.

We had dinner at Kumiko and really enjoyed the experience. The food was creative and beautifully prepared, and the staff were warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, which made the night feel special. The atmosphere is intimate and elegant with a calm, refined vibe that’s perfect for a memorable evening. Overall, a wonderful spot we’d be happy to return to.

Maybe I expected a bigger food menu, but the drink New Wave is wonderful. We’ve tried four drinks, and I love how each one aromas unfold — the fragrances are complex, inviting, and layered, with subtle notes that make every sip a full sensory experience. The flavors are smooth and unique, perfectly complementing the bouquet. I will definitely come back for the drinks.

Whiskey bar seating is a must for a private and cozy date night. Let the bartender guide you through the extensive whiskey and cocktail list to find the perfect drink. Would recommend: “lychee” cocktail, any highball, Japanese potato salad, wagyukatsu with preserved lemon, scallops, and the pickled mushroom stater.

Rated a,ong the best bars in the country, and the best in the city, Kumiko does something really remarkable with there cocktails. The experience is enhanced with serving style that includes hand blown vintage Japanese glassware .. the fusion of flavors are delicately prepared and presented elegantly. Make sure you reserve a table to sample great food options. Without a reservation you may get lucky to find a counter seat or small standing corner to enjoy up your drinks,

Excellent place to stop for a few beers. Decent selection of Belgian style beer and a great variety of crafts on draft. I had the burger and fries to eat. The burger was as described on the menu but came out scalding hot and was very messy (not really complaints just describing my experience). The bartender was friendly and was considerate enough to offer water without me having to ask. Glad I finally made it here

​What a great spot! They have an excellent beer selection, and the barleywine was absolutely amazing. We also ordered the mussels and fries, and the portion was so generous that we didn't need to order a full dinner. One pound was more than enough to fill us up. We were really impressed and will definitely be back!

Hopleaf has been a favorite haunt of ours since the 90s when it was one room with jukebox that played 45s and you had to squint at the amazing selection of beers scrawled on a chalkboard above the bar through a haze of cigarette smoke. It's changed a lot, but for the better, and is still outstanding. The food is as impressive as the beer selection. Everyone raves about the mussels and pomme fritte and they aren't wrong. I've had amazing soup and sandwiches on prior visits, but today for a change of pace, I tried the wedge salad with house cured bacon. It was superb and paired surprisingly well with the Alesmith ESB. We love the patio and thanks to unseasonably warm weather, it was open and nearly full. The staff are always great--very attentive and friendly. The service is fast, with no pressure, so you can be leisurely and not get the stinkeye. Oh yeah...and no one under 21, gotta love that.

Pretty solid. Good the schnitzel sandwich which was pretty good. It came with an insane amount of fries which I could never have finished. They got me some gravy to try and make it a bit like poutine but it wasn't really enough. The fries were ok, but nothing too special. The atmosphere was nice and lively.

The ham sandwich here is fantastic and a must try. But the burger was by far the worst I’ve had in years. Completely flavorless and messy. There was a massive amount of wet stringy onions that completely ruined the bottom bun. Anytime you bit into the burger a long trail of onions pulled right out of it. And the lettuce was so wet, flaccid and intrusive. And it didn’t resemble a smash burger whatsoever. I haven’t walked out of a restaurant that disappointed in over a year. Huge letdown.

Everything on the menu is worth trying, but there is a reason they're known for their Belgian mussels and fries. Servers know how to pair drinks with the food, so please ask about it! Holly was our server and she is an absolute gem. Try the desserts! They'll really impress you.

Decided to get lunch here while exploring Andersonville and were very happy that we did. We just got back from Europe a couple months ago and this place has a very authentic European vibe. It felt like we were back in the UK! They have a ton of drink options and the food was fantastic - the portions are large and their fries are excellent (served with mayo just like in the Netherlands!) You seat yourself and order from the bar which I prefer anyway.

Went here for the taste talks Chicago closing night party with Altos tequila. The decor is Backwoods rustic while being beautiful and sad at the same time. The chandelier is gorgeous.  It is made out of deer antlers, and I hope that these  are faux or found on the ground and not taken from deers that were killed just for this purpose. I am not a fan of the Taxidermy theme, in fact it makes me think of this place as more of a Hunters only club or Refuge. I love the vintage booths in the front of the bar. They are very unique that they have a checkerboard built into the table top. It was very enjoyable to play Checkers with my  companion. There's only four of them, so get there early if you want to sit in a booth. The atmosphere is very laid-back and reminds me of an old-school neighborhood Tavern with the long wooden bar and the Art Deco lighting. There is a beautiful backyard outdoor garden with a fireplace, picnic tables, and a small bar which would be a great spot to enjoy in good weather. A big minus is that they are cash only,  and do not serve food. I was told you can order food to be delivered here though and there are plenty of choices in the area to do so.

Fun happening casual and open spot. They hosted the Hawksmoor pop up event for a Sunday supper series. It was a fun event and open seating in the courtyard w diverse people. And there was a live DJ. The courtyard of the place was great…outdoor and a great hangout plus it has a fire pit made in history as part of the house/commercial property. Free parking lot. It’s a hip place. Bartenders and staff nice too.

It is Avery good neighborhood bar with a good and dead cheap drinks. Very dog-friendly with an outdoor patio. Very friendly people hanging around also. I really met a few interesting people with whom I might connect later on. Definitely a great place to check out!! It's cash only also, but you can have a tab! I wold recommend visiting this place at least once.

This place is a mood. A bar that looks like it used to host secret meetings for either union reps or amateur taxidermists—wood-paneled, dimly lit, subtly chaotic, and better for it. The cocktail list is short, printed, and framed on the wall like gospel. It doesn’t need a menu the size of a novella. We went with a white Negroni and a mezcal Old Fashioned—both spot-on. No flair, no smoke guns, just drinks that respect your time. As for the crowd, it’s a cozy chaos of Chicago archetypes: bros in full-zip ribbed sweaters at one end of the bar, shacket guys in vintage hats at the other. A couple of fresh-faced bartenders clock in to brace for the post-5:30 wave. You’ve got beer-and-brat energy blending seamlessly with the visible-tattoo crowd. Everyone belongs, even if no one quite matches. It’s stylish but not trying too hard. Aloof but not unkind. Dim but not moody. And exactly what we needed.

Cool spot for cocktails and a High Life. Has an old school bar, hunting lodge vibe. Place was packed during happy hour.

Vibe and drinks are great! The pornstar mule is amazing. Like most dive bars, it's pretty hard to get the bartenders attention when it starts getting busy, so that was kinda a pain, but overall, it was good. Will definitely be back!

Solid place all around—clean and generally friendly staff. Great selection of drinks—and I love the concept of having rotating kitchens. All the food we’ve tried here has been good. It gets busy! So I get it. But some of the bartenders could be nicer. Last thing I really like about this place is that there’s different areas to hang in depending on what your vibe is for the night… front area by the smaller bar is quieter, more intimate while the main bar area is more social. Of course, the outdoor patio is a nice perk too. Highly recommend everyone stops in for drink and chat here!

I visit Maria's for the Brunchlox monthly dance gathering. It's always the BEST place to be. It's the people, those who throw it, the DJs. Being vegan there isn't more than 1 option for me so that's disappointing. But the service and barkeeps are fantastic.

Pretty nice local neighborhood bar that attracts a trendy and diverse crowd. It has survived for decades in Bridgeport. The selection of drinks is impressive. One of my Cuzn Tommy's favs is the Cherry Sublime 25mg THC.....YUM!!!

Maria's is a Bridgeport gem, part liquor store, part bar, all vibes. Grabbed a Marz Jungle Boogie and a Kimski sausage with kimchi. Beer was on point, and the food hit the spot. Place gets packed, especially during patio season, so snag a seat early. Staff can be a bit aloof, but warm up after a round or two. Dropped around $25 total. Solid spot for unique brews and bites.

The bar is literally down the street from my job and was amazing. Prices are reasonable and the bartenders are super cool. Place is big enough for everyone and the atmosphere is laid back with a chill hipster vibe. Ordered a old fashion drink and this thing was delicious. This is a Bridgeport gem, will definitely be back with friends. Old fashion 8/10.

Simple no frills burger and drinks. The smash burger was delicious. It was a little loud and crowded, however that is expected on Friday evening. Service was great and the communal seating makes for an interesting experience on the patio.

This bar has such a cool vibe. My bartender was super friendly and informative about all their drink options. I ended up getting a pickle beer because of him and it was definitely an experience. The place was packed early on a Saturday afternoon, and based on my time there, I can totally see why.

Best Intentions is always a packed spot with a great patio and creative cocktails. The drinks are fun and the space has a cool vibe, especially outside. That said, after visiting a couple of times, I can’t say the bartenders or servers are particularly friendly or welcoming. Not sure they feel like they need to be since the place stays busy on its own. Still, worth it if you’re after good cocktails in a lively atmosphere.

One of my favorite bars in Chicago. Reasonable prices, fine bartenders, and excellent bar food. I live there old fashioned but the bartenders do a great job here on everything. Don’t sleep on the burger and fries if you need a snack.

Can’t blame this bar for the #48 Best Bars ranking in North America 2024, but I personally don’t see it deserved. The atmosphere was off for me - feels more like a local pub with country/rock and a 45++ year old crowd, on average. No dress code - ultra casual. Nothing wrong with that - but again, nothing I would expect from a “Best 50” bar… If you’re into that - you will like it.

Very polished bar in a neighborhood setting! Was there with a friend and tried few drinks! Firdt of all bar has a very rustic chill vibe. I was there around 5 pm and founf people just chilling newr bar area which i totally liked since it was not too loud. Everything is very creative and appealing Tried cold martiny and rum based cocktails. Server was too good, mafe a custom drink as well Pro tip: try their fries and house sauce ( best sauce i have ever had in my life )

Fun, eccentric bar with excellent cocktails at a reasonable price! It can get quite crowded but the vibe is fantastic. For drinks, I particularly like the Bee’s Knees, Horchata Margarita, and the Old Fashioned! Haven’t tried the food yet but planning to return for it at some point. Great neighborhood gem! 💎

Beautiful place to experiment with drinks at. Chrissy (The Bartender) was extremely friendly. There needs to be a more clear understanding with reservations. I was told when it is a party of 2, reservations were not taken and that it was first come first serve. However 2 specific locations in the bar that that I requested to wait on until they were open, I was told I couldn't, however by the time I left. They let others sit in those same requested areas that were the same as me "Parties of 2". The music was a bit louder than expected so I had to sit pretty close to my date in order for her to hear me & I found myself kind of horse by the end of the 2 hour time limit. However I definitely enjoyed the experience and do see myself returning. Expected to spend $150-$200. Only ended up spending $86 & like $110 after tip

I was super excited to try this speakeasy bar. it's often hailed as one of the world's best bars, and it totally lived up to the hype! We didn't have a reservation, but we were seated right away on a Tuesday night. The moment we stepped inside, we knew it was going to be an unforgettable experience. The whole cocktail menu is genius , seasonal and not intimidating. “Ad Astra” was the theme of the current cocktail menu. Drinks were named after the celestial bodies in the solar system. The service was incredibly polite and efficient, so we never felt like we were being rushed. The ambiance was intimate and social, with low lighting that set the mood just right. If you're a fan of innovative cocktails and top-notch experiences, this place should be added in your list.

Me and my hubby's all time favorite bar in Chicago! Every time we're in the city, we always stop by Meadowlark. We've had the privilege of trying three of their menus since their opening in 2023. They change up their menu every 8-12 months so you are getting a different set of curated craft cocktails every time they switch it up. The latest menu that we tried was called the Ad Astra or "To The Stars" and Alison served up some awesome drinks. My favorite was Saturn and Titan and my hubby's favorite was the Phobos & Deimos. Every cocktail is thoughtfully created and well-balanced. We just love the care and complexity that goes into creating each cocktail. From bright and refreshing to complex and spirit-forward, there is something for everyone. The vibes in here are spot on -- phenomenal cocktails, great music and ambiance, friendly bartenders that are attentive, what more could you ask for? Run, don't walk!

After entering the unassuming side door to Meadowlark we were greeted by a very friendly hostess. We were actually there to buy a gift card but decided to stay and check it out. The waiting area is separated from the main room and is quite small. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated. We loved the atmosphere right away. It was dimly lit with lots of dark wood and exposed brick walls. We were sat at a little settee with a small coffee table in front of it. We were greeting within a couple minutes and given drink menus. All of the cocktails are craft and very interesting. Our server explained that the menu rotates on a weekly basis. It was a space themed menu when we were there. Our drinks were delicious and very pretty in the individually curated glasses. We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly our drinks arrived. We chose a mixed olive dish and deviled eggs for small bites. We loved both. Especially the deviled eggs! We loved Meadowlark! The space is well thought out and cozy. The drinks were delicious and innovative and the service was outstanding. Come early because the wait can get long. You won’t be disappointed.

My flight got delayed by American Airlines, so I ended up with a few unexpected hours in Chicago—and I’m so glad I found this bar! It’s honestly one of the best bars I’ve been to this year. The atmosphere is fantastic, the bartenders are super friendly, and the drink menu is designed like a school notebook, which is such a fun and creative touch. I tried the “Daydream” and “First Day of School” cocktails—both were excellent. Highly recommend and will definitely come back!

I can see why Meadowlark made it to the top 50 bars in North America. Not sure if the theme continually changes bc the menu I had was different from the one on their website, but when I went recently it was space-themed. The cocktails were creative and spirit-forward. I liked Earth, which tasted earthy, true to its namesake; Ceres wasn’t that appetizing. It’s impressive if they do come up with new cocktails of this caliber every so often, considering there are lots of options on the menu. Definitely worth coming when you’re in Chicago!

I had space themed drinks here! My drink was good but not amazing or super unique as many claim. There were unique ingredients but I could barely taste them and the flavors were either too strong or muddled. I personally think that for the price there are better places. I did however love the vibe and the menu which was very space themed and it was a nice touch. I also enjoyed how there's an extensive selection of non alcoholic drinks too. My only other gripe that soured the experience is that I felt like our bartender was a little strange - he would rush us, cut us off, or speak over us and that's not what I expected.

Came here with some friends & the vibes are fun! Lexy was awesome, great service & super friendly. I would recommend making reservations if you’re coming during their peak hours as standing around the bar can be difficult to order. We stood near the bar & had a great time with our group. We did mainly drinks & grabbed some waffle fries! Our most ordered drink of the night was the Coffee Grog, it is one of the best espresso martinis we’ve had. But the group drinks were always fun for show!

What a cute bar! Their drinks are very interesting-looking and well-priced for the wow factor they provide. Our table ordered 5 different cocktails and we did a tasting of all of them. One theme was that all the cocktails had the same major problem which was they were too sweet. They had notes of the flavors listed on the menu, however they could have used either less sugar or something like lemon or lime to cut the sweetness. It was to the point where I had to request extra mix-ins like lemon juice for my drinks. Also, find it kind of odd to have a gift shop in front and it makes a place like this feel almost gimmicky. It would be hard to convince me to come here again. As far as food, the pu pu platter was pretty traditional and good for bar food.

By far the cleanest back way entrance I've ever seen. This place is definitely big but crammed, but for a good reason! Food and drinks are really good, heir MUST GET is the steak skewers, shrimp spring rolls and pork bites!! EXTRA sawsawan dipping sauce PLEASE!! All their staff are really friendly and attentive! They're indeed wheelchair accessible! Oh, bathroom was clean too but their water for hand washing was really hot just be careful!

I love tiki bars and had really high expectations for 3 dots. My main complaint is the atmosphere. The loud music completely ruined the tiki vibe & ambiance and we had to basically yell to each other in order to have a conversation. The drinks were very good & prices were what you'd expect for a popular bar in a big city. Good, friendly service as well. I'd definitely return but please rethink your music choices. It's not that I didn't like the music. It just didn't fit.

We arrived with a lot of curiosity because this bar looked unique from the outside. It’s tucked away in an alley, and the entrance feels mysterious and fun — dim lighting with a tropical, Hawaiian-style vibe. We couldn’t get a table since the place was already full, but we were still welcomed to stand by the bar. The drinks were incredible — playful glasses, fun presentations, and bold flavors. The atmosphere was lively, full of conversation, good music, and great energy. We enjoyed two drinks and had a great time before heading out. If you plan to visit, I’d definitely recommend making a reservation to secure a table. It’s a memorable spot and worth the experience. 🍹🌺✨

This is for sure the OG of all Tiki Bar experiences complete with the ambiance and the VIP sections to flex your style if that’s your thing (I just met a date at a regular table but it was all over the top fun as it should be). Make a reservation and know they will keep you moving along after 2hrs in most cases. It will be hopping even on a weeknight and it’s loud (but still amenable to good conversation). The whole thing drips of irony and “baller” class with Hawaiian 🌺 charm all at once. Watch for the skulls to know the alcohol level but all the options we had were good (Mai Tai…more than one 😆…and this classic Three Dots were the best). Food was good too but don’t come for the salads or healthy options. Unless you count the decorative greens under you skewers or pure beef this place is sans salads of any kind 😊 I learned of this place from a Tiki Bar in Columbus SC of all places called Urban Tiki which Three Dots inspired (so if you love tiki and you find yourself in Columbus SC be sure to keep the fun going there too).

Been here a few times on various occasions. Sometimes it’s extremely crowded and difficult to find a seat. You might find yourself fighting to get a drink at the bar. But when you catch it on a slower night or are lucky to get a table, it’s a wonderful experience. I’ve had a handful of their beverages before. An old fashioned and a few others. The cups are really neat and are always delicious. We got the sampler food platter last time I was there and it was exquisite! Highly recommend if you have a larger party that’s feeling snacky.

There are a few places in Chicago that hold a special place in my heart, and I think The Violet Hour is one of them. It was the first bar I was taken too when I turned old enough to go out many moons ago. I'm happy it's survived covid and still able to keep the atmosphere that it has now, it's one of the things I love about it so much. Regardless of what drink you get I'm sure you will enjoy it, I'm always one to ask the bartender to make their favorite drink and get a unique taste from someone whose job it is to make distinct cocktails. Love the staff, love the drinks, love the space. Will always crawl back here.

The drinks were so good, perfectly balanced complex and inventive. The atmosphere was incredible, and the service was top notch. It gets busy on a Saturday night so DEFINITELY book a reservation like a week in advance or you'll face an hour wait to get in. Menu is ever changing so always something new.

Glitter on the Wet Street was the best cocktail I've ever had. It was an experience. A true work of art. It smelled like tobacco and petrichor, had the texture of a mezcal with none of the bite or smoke, and had a pleasant caramel aftertaste. Every drink here is the product of a bartender that truly cares about the craft. The best cocktail I've ever had aside, the atmosphere at The Violet Hour is immaculate. You step in off the street, and you enter a candle lit world of good food and even better drinks. I recommend the crab dip if you're looking for a bite. My girlfriend and I went here for our first anniversary, and we even got a little champagne. If you're looking for a special, magical, one of a kind experience, The Violet Hour is the place to go.

Beautiful place. Dim lights for relaxing ambience. Cozy seats and booths. Nice and pretty bar. Drinks were fun and creatively designed and tasted good. But the food was a bit disappointing. So this is definitely a place to enjoy drinks but not the food. The cauliflower w gochujang was thickly battered and the nuts were a bit overpriced. Outside of the snacks the drinks were fun! Nice staff. Bathrooms were super clean and well lit.

It was one of the bars I really enjoyed in Chicago. We had a seat at the bar and were able to see the bartenders in action. Our bartender was Carly, and she was great! She was very knowledgeable about the cocktails and spirits. One of the cocktails I enjoyed was the Hush Money, a very refreshing cocktail. I also had some great bourbons, which I am thankful for.

You will get some of the finest cocktails in the world served by erudite and skilled bartenders. The concoctions are approachable and presented simply and elegantly, but don’t be fooled. Behind this apparent simplicity lies lots of research and knowledge of the history of drinks and drinking. The speakeasy setting is comfortable and welcoming. It is an excellent place to bring a date or close friends.

Updated review, still a very solid cocktail bar even if the rules on cell phones and dress code have gotten a bit lax over the years. Menu all around is good and the bar tenders are very knowledgeable. Space overall is pretty quiet and arranged in such a way that things feel very private. Worth stopping by at least once Look for the recessed door, you could walk by without ever knowing it's there!

Lived up to the hype for its historical vibe. The ambiance has a cool, old-school charm especially knowing Al Capone used to frequent it. Drinks are strong with a heavy pour, but just okay in taste. Cash-only bar, so come prepared. I’m not a jazz fan, so I won’t speak on the music, but it draws a loyal crowd. Worth visiting once for the history alone, but not somewhere I’d personally return.

It's a fun place. Just it only operates on cash, no cards. And the place has a cover charge of $10 when you enter. Apart from this, it's great. The music was great, ambiance was amazing and the drinks were also good. Highly recommend if you like Jazz music.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the Greene Mill. The music was nothing less than fantastic! It was on a Tuesday night with the Chicago Cellar boys that included a female tenor sax player. They were playing 1920s in 1930s music. they were all virtuosos. And you could tell totally dedicated to the music. The manager was pretty rude. That was the only negative. And they need to turn the front seats around to face the stage. But overall, truly great and memorable time!

We came here to enjoy some incredible jazz — and the music and atmosphere were absolutely worth it. A truly authentic experience with talented performers and a great sound system. Just make sure to set your expectations: this is an old-style bar with limited seating, and you might even be asked to share a couch with strangers. Luckily, the crowd is friendly and adds to the vibe. Drinks are just okay but priced really well. It’s cash only, so be prepared. The crew has their own unique style — don’t expect overly smiley service, but they’re nice and they get the job done. Overall, a great place to relax, enjoy real jazz, and feel like you’re stepping back in time. 🎷🍸

This place is a real gem. I went on a Wednesday night for Alan Gresik’s Swing Orchestra and the music was absolutely fantastic! It's a small, intimate venue with limited seating, but it has a wonderful, old-school ambiance that's perfect for live music. You can grab a seat at a table or at the bar. A few important things to know before you go: First and foremost, it's CASH ONLY, so make sure you come prepared. Also, their drink menu is straightforward - they have a limited selection but cover all the basics. The cover charge was only $10, which is an incredible value for the quality of the performance. The vibe is focused on the music, so it’s best for those who want to actively listen and enjoy the show. I highly recommend checking their website beforehand for the schedule and specific cover charge for the night. I had a very pleasant time here.

So much history here at the Green Mill! We had a great time watching Chris Foreman perform. What a fun time!! Pro Tip: Some early shows are on a stage behind the bar. If you get there early for a 5pm show, ask where the performer will be. The bar is the best seat in the house if they're using the mini stage.

Nice jazz music and atmosphere that travels you to the past. It is said that Al Capone used to go there. Negatives: You can pay only cash. The personnel, with the exception of a waitress, was not polite.

This place is great, like an iconic dive bar. I have so many fond memories of hanging out here with fellow improv people after jams and shows. The decor is, um, interesting, the beer is cold, and they don't like pump super-loud music in so you can hear each other speak. I only gave "food" a 3 because they don't to my knowledge have a kitchen. That said if you're around late at night and the Tamale Guy comes around, make sure you have a couple extra bucks...

If you're lookin' for a real Chicago dive bar, Old Town Ale House is the spot. Been around since '58, and it feels like it. The walls are covered in wild, political art. Grab a Miller High Life or a Bell's Two-Hearted, and enjoy the old-school jukebox. No frills, just good drinks and a classic atmosphere. Perfect for a pre- or post-Second City show. Cash only, so come prepared. You might even spot a celeb or two. Spent about $25 for a couple beers and a whiskey. Highly recommend if you want the real Chicago experience.

*CASH ONLY BAR* Stumbled upon this dive bar before a second city show across the street. It was so funny, the bar owner is a painter and the bar is filled with his art. Thankfully he's good the the art is funny (there was a lot of anti-trump commentary). Drinks were cheap there were comfy chairs, so I liked it.

Cash only, Old Town Ale House has a very dive bar feel but that's not a bad thing. Good price on pitchers, we came in the early afternoon and felt like we could have just hung out for hours. Plenty to look at while you're here, the owner has some of his hilarious artwork pinned up. If only it was for sale...

It’s such a cozy and intimate environment. It’s nice with the dimmed lighting. The cocktails are all so delicious, and third burger is one of a kind. It’s so flavorful and with the cheese and onions. It reminds me of In-N-Out in the best way but way more premium than In-N-Out. Their fries are crispy and I love the garlic aïoli it comes with our table got the charcuterie and for $55. It was on the expensive side, but the cheeses and meats were great quality. It is very easy to rack up a bill here with your friends, but it was worth it for the great service, food, and drinks. We had a group of 10 and we had a great spot with couches and benches with a table.

Stop by here a late night after a concert and so glad I did! I heard a rumor that they serve chocolate chip cookies at midnight so I needed to see if it was true. They have a really great drink menu and the space is quite snazzy kind of like a speakeasy vibe. The bartenders are very nice and got us our drinks quickly. The Ube iced drink was very tasty. a lot of ice but a lot of Ube too! And although they were about three minutes late, ha ha they’re absolutely were chocolate chip cookies for free. Served to everyone at the bar. What a great late night snack to company great drinks. Thanks Scofflaw!

We had a wonderful experience! Jamie and Atticus were both fantastic—so warm and attentive. We absolutely loved the baked oysters and the spinach artichoke dip. My mezcal cocktail was perfectly balanced, and my honey enjoyed his drink just as much. The ambiance was beautiful, and we truly enjoyed our time here. We'll definitely be back!

The cocktails are top notch (they graciously spiked my ube mocktail — and it was delicious!) and the food is good. The vibes are cool and the place welcomes all. We did go on a weeknight and the service was slower as one person covered the whole area — but thinking that was a one time staffing kerfluffle. Our guy, as hectic as his day was, was still awesome and gracious about it all. Check em out!

Walked in and the hostess had minimal hospitality as if we were supposed to see her behind the corner in the dark. Just tried to ignore that and the bartender was so rude. Didn’t even speak to us and when we asked questions she was short rude and relied on previous orders rather than her own opinions. Didn’t say anything when we got the check. I’ve never felt so unwelcomed at a bar.

Hands down the best live music venue in Chicago. The vibe is electric, with back-to-back blues bands playing on two stages all night. The musicians are top-tier with raw talent, soul, and energy from start to finish. The food? Legit Southern comfort. We tried the fried catfish, cornbread, nachos, and some of the best wings I’ve ever had. Drinks are solid and well-priced. Bartenders are fast, friendly, and keep the crowd happy. Cover charge is worth every penny. This place isn’t touristy or flashy, just real music, good food, and great people. If you want the full Chicago blues experience, Kingston Mines delivers. Don’t miss it.

Had a great night with various artists performing... Food is good and quick .. you need to order in person. The kitchen is at the back. The TV in the main music room shows when your food is ready, to pick it up... loved their smashed burgers... Highly recommended!

Live music with amazing artists! So great to hear blues played like this in 2025. The bar has a divey-but-not-quite atmosphere. There is a small neat mural too in homage to the origins of Chicago blues. I was there when Nora Jean and Omar Coleman were playing. Cover was $20 but well worth it if you’re going for the music. I didn’t have a drink so my review is based on the music/artistry and ambiance but even if the drinks weren’t good I’d still give it a 5.

Food was 3 out of 5 and music was 6 or even 7 out of 5 if one can do so lol. I don't think it's appropriate to rate this establishment based on its food because it was designed to be a Blues club, and what I heard last night was absolutely amazing! Both Omar Coleman's band and Nicholas Alexander (Lil Hoochie) were outstanding at delivering both traditional Blues music and a purely sensational instrumental performance! In terms of entertainment, this establishment had outdone itself in allowing the crowd to feel some true Blues music and dance if they want to. Food prices were reasonable so we ordered quite a few soul food items ranging from beignets to fried okra to fried catfish, and all of them were good in quality with no highlights to offer. The fried okra, comparatively, was fried well because the outer layer wasn't too overpowering in flavor or texture. The okra softness was successfully maintained. On the opposite end were the fries, which were way too small and crunchy, and as a result became the worst dish among everything else. Oh, the cornbread also had the right amount of butter, which was also a plus. If anyone asks me a club with good Blues music to recommend, I would, without a doubt, mention this establishment as the first choice! I must also mention that everyone in the club, ranging from the servers to the bartenders to the security guards to the kitchen workers in the back taking orders, has been extremely courteous and considerate, so from a service perspective that's also a huge plus!

A $20 cover is a steal to be frank, the musicians absolutely crushed their set. It was such a blast to sit and listen into. I can't comment on the drinks or food, but the music alone was well worth the price of admission

Kingston Mines is a true Chicago classic and a must-visit for anyone who loves live music. The atmosphere is electric — two stages with nonstop blues performances, great energy, and talented musicians playing late into the night. The crowd is fun and diverse, and it always feels welcoming. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the BBQ food is pretty good for a music venue. It can get crowded, especially on weekends, but that just adds to the lively vibe. If you want an authentic Chicago blues experience, this is the place to go!

The Breakfast Martini was hands down my favorite, tasty and the little toast on top was a nice touch. The gin gimlet was light and refreshing, and the espresso martini was smooth and not too sweet, perfect pick-me-up. We also had the warm olives with parm, which made for a great snack, and the fries were good too. Drinks were on point, food was solid, and the vintage atmosphere was cool

Well done Lettuce!! Gus’ Sip & Dip is Chicago’s new gem. The atmosphere is incredible and the food, the food is even better. Continuing a tradition borrowed from McSorley’s in NYC, you get a choice of light or dark beer, for which you receive 2 beer mugs per order. We ordered the French Wagyu Dip which was the best I’ve ever had; simply melts in your mouth. We also had the Shrimp cocktail which was super cold and delicious, as well as the Schnitzel. If you can find a resi, run don’t walk.

Landed in Chicago last night and came to Gus Sip & Dip bc of a recommendation of a friend- this place delivered beyond my expectations. $12 for ea perfectly curated & beautiful cocktail- fries are so good you can't believe they're just handcut fries, Wagyu Sandwich & the cheeseDog! Service was top tier ! The Sip & Dip Coaster was so beautiful & one of my favorite elements of the experience. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic spot, the wagyu dip was incredible, tender, and packed with flavor. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned, and my old fashioned was smooth and well-balanced. Service was excellent, quick, attentive, and friendly and the whole place has a great energy with a cool vintage vibe. There’s a bit of a line, but it moves fast, and it’s absolutely worth the wait. The cocktails, the food, the ambience and decor all on point. I’ll definitely be back.

The atmosphere is unique and the food was great! You know it’s good when it’s packed with a line to get in at 5:00 in a weeknight! We got in line at 5:00 on a Thursday and were seated around 5:15 and then cashed out by 6:00, so service is quick. We had the burger and chili cheese dog and loved them both. The fries were good but a little too cooked for our taste. The drinks were so great! Service is fast and friendly. Prices are reasonable especially compared to the quality and experience.

Amazingly solid place. The $12 cocktails cannot be beat. Unique cocktail items and even better food. Steak frite and irish coffee to close out is top tier. Great date night spot or to impress your out of town friends.

In town for fun and hit up this spot on our first night. Great ambiance, music was great, and food/drinks were perfect. $12 cocktails? In this economy? Unheard of nowadays but they do it so well! We had the mai tai, cosmo, breakfast martini and mojito. 10/10 and presentation was cute! For food, we shared the fried artichoke fritters and fish and chips. Crispy, hot and salty goodness! Service was superb and attentive. No reservations as they are walk in only but we waited maybe 5 mins on a Wednesday night at 7. Definitely give this place a try!

The best place to sit and enjoy a whiskey from Portland Maine to Portland Oregon is right here at 2771 N Lincoln. Go early right when they open and sit in quiet contemplation of a gorgeous dram of Speyside single malt whilst listening to old Delta blues or perhaps some Benny Goodman with the bartender, or show up late on a Monday night to play free pool, drink an exquisite bourbon paired with a cheap domestic beer in a can while your ears are left ringing from Bad Brains playing at the correct volume… or at literally any other time your whistle is crying out for moisture, because Delilah’s is open every day of the year. You’ll be back.

Delilah's is a Lincoln Park staple that lives up to the hype if you're into whiskey and punk vibes. They’ve got over 1,000 whiskeys and a wild beer list—on Mondays, you can snag a $1 Old Milwaukee and a $2 Jim Beam shot, which is a steal . The music leans heavy on punk and ska, and the upstairs feels like a house party with pool and pinball. I dropped about $20 on a couple of pours and a boilermaker, and the bartenders knew their stuff. That said, the place can get packed and loud, so if you're not into the divey, rowdy scene, it might not be your jam. Still, for a no-frills night with solid drinks and a killer whiskey lineup, Delilah’s delivers.

Amazing experience hosting a private party here! Mary and Allison were so helpful, kind, and attentive. The bartender was also so great and remembered names and orders! This place has great prices and a great vibe. If I ever need to host another party I will certainly be back to do it here!

We hosted a post wedding event at Delilah’s in their upstairs room. Not only was it affordable, the staff was so incredible. They ensured our guests had a great time and even helped us set food up. We were allowed to play our own music and even had a pool game going. I would 100% recommend anyone looking for a private event space to book with Delilah’s, they’re the best!

I’ve been coming to this bar quite frequently for the past two months now, and I think last night was my last time coming. Out of the 10 or so times I’ve gone into this bar, I’ve only had a good time maybe twice. I kept trying to give it another chance but things never seem to get better for me. This is a beloved bar to so many and I’m not trying to be mean, but I don’t know why. There is hardly any room to move because it is extremely narrow. The bartenders upstairs are some of the rudest bartenders I’ve ever come across in 12 years of going to bars/clubs. I have heard them make fun of customers right in front of their faces, and the one guy always says rude remarks over the loud speaker. I guess he’s trying to be funny but clowning on customers isn’t funny in my opinion. Pool is the one fun thing about this place but everyone is always erasing names on the board or putting their name in front of people. There are two regulars that are huge try hards. These guys are good at pool but they act like they own the place. They are cocky and frankly insufferable. The vibe is suppose to be punk/alt/goth but most people don’t fit that vibe at all. This community is normally made up of some of the nicest people you will meet and that’s not the case at this bar. The vibe is very fratty and pretentious most of the time. The one good thing I will say is that it is easy to have conversations in the upstairs area. You will occasionally meet some really cool people but the bad outweighs the good in my opinion. Idk maybe I’m just getting too old for this lol but I have given this place enough chances, and I’m over it.

We booked the upstairs room for 4 hours for a large gathering on a Saturday. Delilah's let us bring our own catering, play our own music on the speakers and even opened the pool table for us. The staff were suuuuper friendly and helpful. Thank you so much to Delilah's!

My friend and I got drinks and sat outside in this unusually located space. The sidewalk space is roomy, clean, and away from busy streets. We overlooked a soccer pitch. The music came through lightly, and they had a great folk band. We were able to talk easily to each other without worry of intruding on other people. I expect to keep on eye on their music artists and plan to return.

Its a dive with great live music outdoor space while the weather lasts and a great selection of drinks both AF and tipsy! Reasonable cover charges. No food. No table service. Not too difficult to park if you want to drive. Thumbs up!

I had an amazing experience at The Hideout! This cozy, prohibition-era bar has such a unique and intimate atmosphere that makes every visit special. The live music on Saturday night was phenomenal — the energy was infectious, and it’s the perfect spot to dance or just enjoy great performances. The drinks are well-crafted and reasonably priced, and the staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. It’s a hidden gem in Chicago that I’ll definitely be coming back to. Heard great things about The Hideout, so I swung by on a Saturday night. Dropped around $30 on cover and drinks—had a couple of beers and a whiskey coke. The place has a cool, divey charm with string lights and a cozy setup. But the music that night was all over the place, and the sound system didn't do it any favors. Staff seemed stretched thin, and the vibe felt a bit off. Maybe it's better on a different night, but this visit didn't quite hit the mark.

I feel like I was here in 1986 and that’s not a bad thing. It’s a dive bar/community center with music but I was there for veggie bingo. The patio has a wide view of the skyline due to being across the street from ball fields, nice and open feel for being in an industrial setting. Some families and people that all knew each other. A dog was loose inside for 20 minutes or so before a bartender said had to leash or leave. If I’m honest I do favor some things newer and fresher and a bit brighter but this isn’t this place. My favorite was they showed a video made maybe four a school project that was awesome, the history of this bar.

Snagged a Saturday night show at The Hideout — $10 cover got me in, and I grabbed two Old Styles plus a rye‑whisky punch. Free beer‑nuts slid across the bar, and the back‑room stage is snug but crackling with Chi‑town energy — real locals here diggin’ live tunes. Free street parking right out front on Wabansia made it easy. Five stars for this stubborn neighborhood gem.

For me The Hideout is the quintessential Chicago bar experience. First and last bar I’ve ever been to where their rail whiskey was Old Grandad. Live this place.

My husband and I had our wedding at Sleeping Village and it was soooooo wonderful. <333 (I'm also a wedding DJ and I have a couple of upcoming weddings here that I'm really looking forward to as well!) The Director of Operations, Eric, was super helpful and cool and so was the rest of the bar staff. Things that we especially appreciated: -Eric was great with communication prior to the event. -They let the groom and I (and our wedding parties) use the Green Room and private bathroom, which was so key for little logistical things and it was a great little hideout when I needed a moment to pause haha. -They set up a couple of 6 foot tables they had for us to put our food on. -We got to patch into the indoor/outdoor sound system to play our playlist, and Eric set up an additional speaker for the dancing portion of the party, for extra volume. -He checked in throughout the day to see if we needed help with anything. So kind. I've always loved Sleeping Village as a bar and a concert venue, but now I love it as a private event venue as well, that I'll remember fondly forever. Great place to see a band !!! Friendly staff and the place was super clean for a bar...I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the bathroom. I was starving and was happy they had bar snacks for purchase. The photo booth was a hit with the girlfriend !!! Would definitely return to see more bands.

Excellent venue. Went here for the Bazaar Of the Ocult, which was excellent by the way. Friendly staff, cool vibe, good sized beer garden, and a great stage room. I will definitely return.

We visited Sleeping Village Saturday night after getting dinner at Warlord. The bar has a spacious, open seating concept that is great for large groups. The oak paneling, decorative records, and eclectic curios of the bar are reminiscent of a music hobbyist's household from the 80s. To drink you will have an abundance of draft beer options. There will be some intriguing flavors that you are not likely to find elsewhere. The music venue in the back is a unique feature of this establishment. It's a small venue that allows local artists to effectively showcase their skills. I thought it was a great place to have a drink with friends on a weekend. Really excited to go back during the spring and summer when there is a change to take advantage of the outdoor patio.

This is a great venue with a decent selection of beverages and a good list of N/A as well! Great patio area too enjoy. The actual venue is a good size and has great sound and not a bad seat. We recommend, and have returned several times since we found this place.

Poorly organized events! They failed to post online that the party no longer was selling tickets had people paying $26 for a wait list and when I asked the bouncer if I could pay to be on the waitlist he called me stupid. The bar had several empty spaces btw so this truly made no sense.

This is a great place to dance, especially when a certain DJ is playing. I recommend checking their website or social media to see what music will be featured for the night. The venue is small, so it can get crowded, and the air circulation isn't the best, making it feel quite hot at times. However, there’s a nice outdoor area toward the back if you need a break. You can dance near the DJ on stage or hang out at the tables near the entrance and the bar seating if you prefer a more relaxed vibe. Overall, a fun spot with good energy!

Fun house music vibe. Cute little stage to dance on the outdoor space is also amazing with a little bar in the back you can smoke a cigarette if you would like good bar to go to if you are straight or questioning.

This is one of my all-time favorite cocktail bar. Amazing cocktails, they do have live music, indie bands so the place gets too crowded easily as it's pretty small place. They do have outdoor patio. Don't be surprised if you see a long waiting line, it's worth the wait. I highly recommend this place.

Atmosphere is great. Cocktails could be mixed better/longer and wine selection could be significantly improved. Stop selling warm wine out of bags and buy some proper bottles of red.

The whistler is the place to be for a chill night out but still dancing to whatever awesome dj plays. The indoor space feels intimate and there’s also a nice outdoor space with ample sitting. Needless to say, the staff is super friendly. It’s all you’d expect from a slightly more mature place to go out in Logan square.

Such a cool jazz place. My friend and I had followed this band from another spot but this was top notch. I like the red lights and the drinks were great to match. Had some malort which the locals begged my friend and I to drink 🤷🏻‍♀️ Would come back again when visiting Chicago

This place is so fun! Live music basically every night in the summer -Check out Richard Peña, such an amazing Jazz artist!- small $5 cover fee, and a long list of drink (including non-alcoholic drinks!) options. Very much good vibes inside with a very cool vintage look! The bathroom was a work of art with all the graffiti, it gave me a good laugh! Great location, check it out!

very cute atmosphere and vibe but we were incredibly turned off by the bartender. when we walked in the door and took a look at the menu, he instantly says “welcome to a bar, you have 30 seconds.” super condescending and i know he wouldn’t make that joke at a group of men. such a bummer because we like the vibe a lot but that was such a turn off from returning:(

The bar truly feels like you are being transported into an old era! It was pretty full when we got here and had to pay $5 entry as there was a DJ performing. They were amazing and played good music. I would recommend checking California Clipper's website to see what events they are having. The dance floor is average size. There are two bars, one near the entrance and another where the dance floor is. Drinks are reasonable, and they have happy hour on weekdays. Would love to return here!

Cool decor but horrible techno music. Like shrill, screamy house music that hurts your ears. Not chill at all. Kind of a chaotic crowd, no organization at bar. We wanted to love this place but it was just bizarre all around. If you want a true cool, easy lounge vibe, go to Sportsman’s down the street.

Had a decent experience here overall. The bar is inside a store called, “Moon Palace Express”. When we came in, we asked if this was Nine Bar and got a bit of attitude from the guy at the front. The place has a decent amount of seating. The tables along the wall aren’t really appropriately sized cos you can’t put your legs under them, so they should be a bit taller. The cocktails were on the sweeter side. Tried the cold noodles and they were decent. I liked the crispiness of the grilled chicken.

Located inside "moon palace" this speak easy esq bar features a very good selection of Asian inspired cocktails, some small bites, and a wonderful atmosphere. Decor is great, noise level is about perfect for this kind of space, and staff were very friendly. Y'all need to let Tim moonlight as a bartender more often 😉

An air of mystery surrounds the entrance of this speakeasy in Chinatown. The bouncer was authoritative and friendly when we were confused about the entrance. Really great wings. Very good drinks, especially the classics. Great bartenders. 100% would become a regular if I didn't have a little kid.

Bouncer had us wait 15min to get in, but we were cool with it. Reason why is they keep the bar a certain vibe. Full but not packed, don’t have to yell to have conversation, etc. Bartenders, bouncer and host were all cool. Highly recommend.

Fantastic cocktail lounge hidden behind Moon Palace counter in Chinatown! Drinks are balanced and unique, often channeling Chinese influences to deliver drinks not found elsewhere! My second trip to Nine Bar confirmed drinks here are top tier in Chicago. Early on Wednesday we ordered from the bar although we had couch seats; good news our orders were made quickly and staff was friendly. Latest trip was with four friends and between us we sampled seven different drinks and enjoyed each one. Previously visited on a double date - location works well for both. No food this time but last trip our orders were tasty. My four ranked (enjoyed all of them) Paradise Lost - light, complex and amazing Ebb & Flow Paper Dragon Mai Tai Tax + tip each cocktail is about $20 per

Nobody's Darling! Just go! Go right now! This wonderful black and woman owned bar is something I wish I could take home with me. This establishment is a gem in all of the most positive ways. Ranging from the music selection throughout any decade to POC (People of Color) and woman beverages they offer, including non alcoholic to low alcohol beverages and the delightful staff! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone of the community looking for a great time out in Chicago. It's accessible transportation wise. The pricing is incredible for this day and age to go out and have a drink or 10.

Nobody’s darling is one of the best cocktail places in the area. I ended up going with one of their signature cocktails as well as one of their thc drinks and they were both delicious! Service and menu were superb and as a first timer, the experience only made me come back in the future. There are so many cocktail options as well as non-alcoholic options. It’s a must visit when you’re in Andersonville!

When you want to see what Chicago is about, this is a great first start. Friendly people & friendly staff. Very diverse crowd: They don’t serve food but they’re pretty cool about you ordering something from an outside restaurant to enjoy with your glass of wine…very cute!

I love this bar. I was trying to think of the last time I loved a bar this much- I had to think all the way back to Matchbox - another Chicago classic. The cocktail menu is creative and the drinks are yummy. I can’t stop at just one (so thankful for Uber). The vibe is chill and everyone is so friendly. I can come alone or with a group and always end up having a blast. I recommend it highly!!!!

Standard cocktails at a standard price. Good vibes but didn't care for the music, which was also quite loud given that there isn't really a dance space - wish it had been a little quieter to make conversation easier. Didn't realized it closed so early - midnight on Friday and Saturday. Located in a kind of residential area so there is some parking options.

2nd time in town on business. Hoped for a positive, kind, welcoming "friendly" experience... Hardly! 2nd time, we got the complete opposite. No one smiling, dark vibes and "clicky." As in, if you're a newbie, they don't want you there. Waited at the bar to place an order and again, 2nd time, we we're completely ignored. We left, we won't be back.

The food here is delicious! I don’t need to recommend anything because everything on the menu is a wonderful experience of flavor. You can taste the care and effort that goes into creating and perfecting these dishes. I randomly tried the Lamb Birria Grilled Cheese and was blessed to enjoy it. I also impulsively tried a non-alcoholic beverage off menu and it did not disappoint. Thank you so much!

Excellent food! We had the burger, lamb birria and mini chimichangas! Everything was delicious and would recommend! Fabulous beer list and Mezcal cocktails felt like we were in a speakeasy. Santiago took excellent care of us and was very warm and friendly!

Really good experience at Osito's! The atmosphere feels intimate but has high ceilings and doesn't feel stuffy at all. The noise of surrounding conversation can somewhat drown out the servers and bartenders, but they are all warm and helpful. Only went in for drinks but was impressed by both the thoughtfulness of the cocktails and their beer selection (would definitely try whatever is pouring from Neuronova!). Will plan to revisit

Loved everything about Osito's! Bartender was fun an mixed us a couple of his special recipes -- outstanding. The atmosphere was relaxed but vibrant. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the yucca fries and whitefish ceviche. Can't wait to go back!

The cutest bar for a girls night! My girlfriends and I stopped here after dinner for a drink. We waited for maybe 15 mins before we were seated. The bouncers and staff were all very friendly. The seating is very limited + tight but that’s too be expected from a small bar. The martini was good but STRONG (hah! no complaints). My friends also really enjoyed their cocktails. The ambiance for a Friday night was very lively and busy. I think it would be a great spot for a weeknight date night, but can’t wait to go back again!

Have been here twice for cocktails before dinner elsewhere and they do not disappoint! The best Sazerac I've had anywhere, including NOLA...the Last Known Whereabouts was so lovely. Herbal and subtle --refreshing! They know their stuff. The vibe is great! Love the bar stools--comfy, and the decor overall 🥖 French 60s chic. The staff is great! Will keep coming back!!

So fun. I love it here. The drinks are top notch. I suggest sitting at the bar for the best people watching. The atmosphere is totally electric in there. Our servers were great. Will be going again.

Really enjoyed the space overall, tables were unfortunately very on top of each other in some sections. Menu had a mix of very classic cocktails and a few one-off twists. Wasn't blown away but also didn't have any complaints. Be prepared for the downtown cocktail prices.

WOW!!! Y’all know this place is super amazing and I’m here to tell you even more about it. Bartender Hannah is the best of the best. She is a talented mixologist and is literally winning competitions for this. If you go here, it’s to try her drinks (as well as the other talented bartenders on staff). But seriously… too good. The best thing about Hannah is she LOVES when you don’t know what to drink. She’ll always happily decide for you and will not disappoint. 😍 Get the cocktails. Don’t skimp and get wine. That’s not why they’re here. They have a creative list of martinis, highballs, margaritas and everything else. Of course their spirit list is unmatched (at least in Fulton Market). If you DO have to get wine, their list is extensive and you’ll absolutely be able to get something you’ll love. Stop by this new place in the Fulton market district this past week and had a couple of their tasty unique cocktails and grabbed a few of their cold bites. It's got a cool dark interior very sexy great for a date night not so great for large groups but it is doable for a larger group. I love the decor I love the servers and their knowledge and I thought their very small menu of accompanying appetizers worked well. One thing to know this is not a place to eat this is a pre-dinner drink meeting place or an after dinner stop by. It's got a very bistro brassier feel to the place but with excellent drinks vs food. Please know this is not an inexpensive cocktail bar be prepared to drop some money here not as much as The Aviary but comes close. I'll be back as the seasons change as they will be updating their cocktail menu I'm not sure on how often but I'll stop by since it's right in my hood.

Went for our 10 year anniversary- Such a unique experience for those who appreciate cocktail culture and bartenders alike. Nothing about this place radiated pretentious or stuck up. The vibes were amazing, art deco inspired decor with some low key hip hop playing on the speakers. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable, and didn’t mind my slow pace or try to rush us! The cocktails were boozy and portioned well along with the small bites. We expressed to our server we based our trip to Chicago around our love for the books and coming to The Aviary, so she offered to have someone give us a tour of the establishment. It was pretty dope, got to see behind the bar and kitchen counter, the basement/prep areas, a few other spots, and ended in the speakeasy. Honorable mention to the wonderful Host who gave us a list of food and cocktail recommendations in the city. Thank you for the awesome hospitality! We will be back :)

Straight up crazy...l'm not much of a drinker...but am a total foodie. My favorite drink was the jalapeño one!! It was amazing Let me tell you this was super cool experience the show of the drink preparation was amazing. This is definitely an experience worth $$$. You definitely walk out of there buzzed feeling good. It's important you make a reservation. Also dress accordingly. The servers are very helpful. The cocktails are well developed and presented. If you aren't sure of what to get or need suggestions the staff is well trained they can for sure give you the right suggestions. 100% recommend!

I have been to a lot of restaurants with the chef's tasting menu and paired drinks, but this place is above and beyond any tasting experience I've ever been to. The drinks are part delicious and part entertainment. They are masterfully crafted and truly enjoyable to watch being made tableside. The food is amazing and just as unique from sweet, salty, sour and savory. From the lined coconut shell, the mini Japanese grill at tableside to opening the popcorn bag with the cracker jacks and drink inside - each dish is a surprise. I don't know that I can recommend this restaurant enough and I'm sure I will be talking about it to my friends for a long time coming.

Artfully crafted to play with your taste buds from dish to dish. A popsicle looking dish that was actually foie gras with white chocolate and bacon. A savory to sweet to smokey transition of plates leading to a memorable evening. Highly recommend, an experience I will not forget

Went for the 7 course experience. Amazing dinner, drinks, and service. Very relaxed atmosphere but very unrelaxed taste and presentation in the best way. Every course was special and insanely flavorful. I could have eaten so much more of each course, still ended up being very full (and quite tipsy) by the end of the meal. Gluten free restrictions were expertly accommodated. Especially appreciated the view at the kitchen table, wonderful to see the preparation. Can’t wait to come back!

I did the three course experience with my husband last night for his birthday. This is a place we’ve been talking about going do years because we love high end cocktails. The presentation was great, the service was great and it was definitely a great date night vibe BUT honestly the cocktails didn’t taste great. They were beautiful but I only enjoyed 1 of the 3 ( The Buzz Aldrin) . The other two were too syrupy and bitter. They just were not very balanced honestly . I’m glad we went but won’t be coming back, especially at the price point.

Pre booked a cocktail experience. Definitely recommend this if you plan to have couple of drinks, saves you some extra $$. Ordered the Papaya smoke, Hermosa and Tres Amigos which is a must. The food is pretty good as well. Definitely try the truffle explosion as the name suggests it is infact an explosion in your mouth. The chips are dip are pretty good too. Nice touch to the beet dip. All the servers were great and pretty informed on the notes of the drinks/cocktails served. All in all must visit place atleast once!

This was my first time at a jazz club with live music, and the atmosphere itself was very nice. The band played well and really set the mood. But the biggest issue was the audience around us. The people sitting nearby kept talking loudly throughout the performance, which made it impossible for us to really focus and enjoy the music. Before the show, staff clearly announced that guests should remain quiet during the performance — yet many ignored it. What I can’t understand is why the staff didn’t enforce it or ask those people to quiet down. It ruined the whole experience for us. On top of that, the food was average, the service was just okay, and our seats weren’t great — a beer tap blocked most of our view, so we could barely see the stage. Overall, great live music but poorly managed atmosphere. Because of these issues, I can only give it three stars. If you truly want to focus on the music, you might want to consider another venue.

We scheduled our trip to Chicago so that we could see the Shout Section Big Band. So glad we did that! The band was fantastic and the singer, Tatum Langley was wonderful. If you like Swing/Big Band music this is a MUST SEE and if you aren’t sure you should absolutely give it a try. It was the highlight of our trip to Chicago and we did a lot of things. As far as the venue, Andy’s, it was mediocre. The food was so-so. Calamari had one sauce that was way too hot even for me and I’m a five star gal. The other sauce was bland with not a bit of flavor. The jambalaya and shrimp or risotto both had good though. Our server Michael was a big letdown. He didn’t seem to really want to be there, was unfriendly and neglectful. However, we would do it again just to see the band. Band 5* Andy’s venue 3*

Absolutely brilliant an experience! Went hoping for good live Jazz music. But daam the food was incredible too. We ordered the short ribs, ravioli and tiramisu. The short ribs with risotto rice, melted in the mouth and the sauce was an excellent complement. The ravioli had a light refreshing sauce, the flavour of portobello mushrooms were bang on. And great tiramisu. Also, ordered old fashion. One of my favorite old fashions now will be at Andy's. The vibe is well known to be legendary and historic, it lives up.

I really enjoyed the live music. I think the food was delicious but overpriced. The nachos were amazing. Extremely overpriced. It was $22. I paid for the surf and turf with the 6oz steak and 2 shrimp skewers. First of all. I don't know if I read it wrong but it was not two skewers but one with two shrimp on it. A 3oz steak and mashed potatoes. It was delicious but not worth $50. Whoever poured the drinks poured heavy and I loved it. Overall I enjoyed my experience here. Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time. I will be coming back for the drinks and music.

Andy’s Jazz Club was an incredible experience! The event was perfectly timed, the staff was efficient, and the MC kept everything running smoothly. The food was absolutely delicious, and the band was super groovy! 🎶 If you’re looking for the perfect date night spot — this is it!

Wonderful jazz club to spend time with frineds or enjoy yourself. Came in early December and it was a wonderful Christmas party with nice food and service. You will feel it right for whatever reason you visit it.

I am sure there are more authentic places in Chicago but for us Andy’s ticked all the boxes. A bit of live music, food and close to the hotel we were staying at. It’s a bit conveyor belt ish. In, sit down, food drink music and then asked to leave for the next showing. But we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would recommend to support local musicians. Was asked for photo id on entry, not sure why, I am 50, but something to think about as I was told it was needed.

Best brewery in Chicago for BA stouts, which is my favorite style. They have some good sours and other ales as well, and I love the space! Plenty of room, great ambiance, and they do tours! Plenty of options, and you can do flights, though the price varies!

Large taproom with minimal parking. Was fairly empty on a Friday night. There was an off duty worker who had LOTS of opinions about everything and never stopped talking, I only bring this up as he was talking with the bartenders so much, service was slow. I wasn't a big fan of their beer but appreciate they do flights and smaller pours to find the ones you like. I bought a few cans to go.

Wonderful service. Great beer with many varieties. They serve small snacks, but you can order delivery or bring your own food. There are lots of tables so you can sit in peace or hang out with the amazing staff at the bar. On tap are such a wide variety, it’s impossible you won’t find something you love. Not to mention the prices are very reasonable. It’s not a rowdy place, so come in for a couple drinks and enjoy the atmosphere.

What a great place to enjoy AMAZING beers. Rev does it right. A great brewery/taproom to enjoy their great beers. Their Deep Wood Series are always a winner. The Kedzie taproom allows you to bring in your own food. It's a great space with the barrels surrounding you, and the glass windows providing a glimpse into where the magic happens!!!! This is a MUST stop if your in Chicago!

Clean, stylish, and spacious! Every beers has its unique delicious taste. The brewery area was secured and squeaky clean. The staff were all cool and nice. The place was very organized. It offers sparkling water and still water for free. The female restroom offers good quality tampons, sanitary napkins, sanitizers, etc. I've never seen a female restroom that has this thoughtful touched just in case of emergency. Keep it up and keep us Chicagoans proud!

This place is such a gem. So much creativity, and care goes into each cocktail. The bartenders are friendly and go into great detail explaining the drinks and process to make them. As a bartender myself, it’s so inspirational going to bars like this. Worth every penny!

1st time visiting and the atmosphere was phenomenal. Thanks to Anna and Keith we were well taken care of with a great selection of cocktails. We were even made a custom Old Fashioned with a touch of Christmas. Couldn’t have had a better time. Thank you to The Office staff.

Just a warning that the tasting menu has five solid drinks. Definitely was drunk when I got home. Good bites with it though. Great place for a fancy cocktail without being environmentally over stimulated.

One of the coolest bar experiences I’ve had in Chicago! The Office (downstairs from The Aviary) feels super exclusive, and the old-school quarter machine ritual that delivers little scrolls with an intro cocktail was such a fun touch. We tried the Oaxacan Old Fashioned, the miso pineapple cocktail, an old Ardbeg, and even a 1936 Yellow Chartreuse – everything was incredible. The truffle grilled cheese and pizza popcorn were perfect bar bites. The hospitality, attention to detail, and overall experience were exceptional. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town!

We came here for drinks on Friday night after our dinner at Alinea. You enter the space through The Aviary and go downstairs to a locked room. Inside is perhaps the coziest bar I have ever been in. Old timey mahogany and leather vibes in absolutely the best way. Their dusty bottles are such a unique value add. I asked where they found the vintage liquors and they said that they used to have to source them but now that they are known for it people come to them. Pretty cool. Service and drinks were both outstanding, super special experience.

If you are a craft cocktail or spirits enthusiast, then this speakeasy spot is a must visit! Unrivaled selection of bottles, extremely knowledgeable staff, and the food is exceptional. I was lucky enough to go to Alinea the night before and had the black truffle explosion. The one served here is equally delicious! Thanks to the staff for their hospitality and I’ll definitely be back on my next trip to Chicago. Don’t forget to make a reservation since this place fills up quickly!

Food itself wasn’t too good or anything, prices were also kinda on the high side but other than that I loved the vibe and atmosphere here. The live music was so amazing and the band did so good. There was a $20 entrance fee as well.

Le Piano is such a gem in Rogers Park. The live jazz was absolutely fantastic—intimate, soulful, and the perfect soundtrack for the evening. The ambiance is dark, sexy, and romantic, with candlelit tables and plush seating that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a Parisian jazz lounge. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, and you can just sink into the music and vibe. Service was warm and attentive, and the whole experience felt special. If you love jazz, cocktails, and a seductive atmosphere, this is the place.

Came here with my fiancée for the first time and we were both wowed. It has an amazing, warm and cozy atmosphere. We had originally reserved a seat in the back by mistake but since I wanted to be able to see the band playing, they were super accommodating and got us a seat right in front. The music was just great. The staff is wonderful. The owner introduced himself to us and was so humble, hospitable and kind. So glad I found this place, I can’t wait to come back again and again!

I was there on a Monday evening which seemed to be open mic. All of the musicians were very talented so the music was fantastic. This little place under the Morse Red line stop has such a cool atmosphere - I highly recommend. The outdoor space looks as though it will be so fun in the summer. I look forward to returning.

There is limited parking. We ubered there. The cover that night was $15 per person when there’s live music. It’s a small, intimate setting with dimmed lights and candles. Solid candle light dinner spot. I would highly recommend the lamb chops. The lychee martini was delicious and packed the right punch 😉 the bill was just under $100 for 2 entrees, 2 drinks, and cover charge. Very nice date night spot

This place has it all. I can't wait until we visit again and can go back! Our friends in Chicago brought us here when we were visiting. We all love live music and jazz and so we got our tickets and picked our seats earlier that morning. The patio outside is really charming and fun, fireplace as well. We sat inside, very moody and great lighting, we sat towards the back right corner. Our waiter was awesome. The music was fabulous! A trio that night. We all ordered drinks and a few ordered food, everything spectacular. Bathrooms were also very nice. It was such a fun evening!!

I played piano for a private event hosted by my brother in law, we did a pop sing along and music trivia name that tune night. It was a lot of fun and Chad was very welcoming and gracious. The ambiance is unique and warm. The pianos sounded fantastic and had plenty of sound and amplification. We enjoyed the appetizers and drinks as well, and a great time was had by all. I hope to perform there again soon!

The service and atmosphere make this place more than worth it to come back again. We got some drinks and ordered some bar food. The bartender/waitress was really cool. Food is just ok. But the atmosphere and service make this place a must stop for lunch.

Had a great time visiting this place for the first time. Came solo but didn't feel uncomfortable at all. Great staff never waited long to get a drink. Utilized their bus service which I think is a very good idea. The sound quality was good and the stage was easy to see from different areas in the venue. Will definitely come back to visit again.

Went to see Conan on 22AUG25 (also Blunt and Mares of Thrace). Staff were amazing. They were friendly and seemed happy to be there. Sound and atmosphere were great. Patrons were respectful and staff were watching to make sure it stayed that way. Had an amazing time. Hail Conan! 🤘🏻

First time at Reggies. Went for Signs of the Swarm. 🤘. I didnt get anything food wise but great variety on drinks. Fun atmosphere. Smaller venue so makes the show feel a bit more personal. Will definitely return for future show or a drink.

Always a pleasure to go to Reggie’s. Staff is chill and noninvasive. Sound is great. The little bleachers style seating absolutely rules if you’re over a certain age or just a tired Gus. Wish every band would play here.

The drinks were strong, the music was loud! It was a smaller venue but the balcony provided for a little escape from the crowd downstairs. The acoustics were great. Can’t wait to be back!

Don't let the fact that this is a chain restaurant throw you off. We got a stuffed Chicago style and a thin crust Italian beef with both sweet and hot peppers. Both were absolutely delicious.

This place is just fantastic. Great concerts of all kinds, especially punk rock concerts. Plenty of free parking right on Western Avenue. I parked right in front of the bar last night.

I mean, what else is there to say? Best rock venue, best happy hour, best bartenders, best vibes, best music, best friendly, best dancing in Chicago. Thanks to everyone on the staff here who rocks this place to the moon every single day.

Dracula's Halloween Special 2025 at the Empty Bottle, featuring Sindy Vicious, More Ephemerol, Ronnie Stone, and Madeline Goldstein. The venue is cozy, and was decorated in a spooky analog horror vibe. Great, dramatic lighting that didn't try to blind you with lasers. The music was dark wave and synthpop, mixed in with some stand-up from Dracula and dance acts from Sindy Vicious.

This was my first Bottle. The pros: 1. An "L" shaped viewing area with a corner stage allows people to bypass the middleby going through a center "hallway" to get to the bar, merch area, and bathrooms. 2. $4 PBR on draft 3. Plenty of bang for your buck, with great acts playing to dedicated fans in an intimate setting. The cons: 1. Even though it's a smaller venue, tall dudes still stand in front of you 2. The sound was good, but maybe because of the shape of the venue, there's a lot of variability. 3. Parking is somewhat limited, but not bad if you don't mind a bit of a walk

It’s the kind of place where you can catch incredible up-and-coming bands one night and seasoned indie legends the next. The sound quality is excellent for such an intimate space, and the atmosphere is pure rock-and-roll — raw, unpolished, and full of energy. Drinks are affordable, the lighting sets the perfect underground vibe, and the crowd is always lively and diverse. It’s a place that celebrates real music and creativity without the pretension, making every show feel like a genuine Chicago experience.

I've only been to the Empty Bottle one time, but it was a decent little place. It's certainly a dive bar. I thought the audio was terrible however. If I go there again I'll try another location, maybe that'll help?

I have never experienced a venue with as many disrespectful patrons as the empty bottle, and lack of staff involvement surrounding that was just as— if not more disappointing. Couldn't even enjoy the show because the sheer volume of the people crowded around the bar was enough to drown out the performance. Again, incredibly disrespectful for people wanting to attend a show as well as the artists. big justice would give this place 0 big booms.

Stumbled in for late night drinks, and glad we did! The servers and bouncers were friendly, the vibe and music was cool, and the mix drink specials were plenty. I highly recommend the Paloma (one of the best I’ve had) 👌

Everything is imported from Mexico this place has a flair of contemporary meets 1960s. This place has a legitimate record player where they actually play music from. Different music is playing from different parts of the world mainly it sounds like from the 1960s and maybe 1970s a lot of different Latin music as well as other parts of the world. Two large disco balls that could probably fit in a huge hall absolutely beautiful. If you're coming out to a hip spot to have some nice fresh classic drinks with a twist this is the place for you. We did not get an opportunity to look at the rooftop but apparently this is for special events so feel free to reach out to the establishment so you can book a time and a date. Staff is very knowledgeable on their drinks and is very friendly. Come on out you will not be disappointed.

So, my 2nd visit to Chicago I couldn’t wait to visit this bar again the drinks in August of 24’ were amazing and so was the Lady Bartender! This time September 4,2025 around 5:45pm the Bouncer was someone to be desired, the Bartender the same! My daughter and I waited close to 20 mins. No acknowledgement what so ever! Formerly one of my favorite bars in the area, and I’ve recommended it to many people. I even brought my parents there! Never again. Went on a warm, sunny afternoon, it was less than 1/3 full, so ample seating at the bar or by the walls (wide open to the fresh air). At first the music was ‘surprisingly loud but tolerable’. Over the course of 30mins, it became so loud that I could barely hear the afternoon blue line trains less than a block away. There were children passing by in strollers, covering their ears. Just awful. You truly cannot hear yourself think, let alone converse with others. Estereo used to be so chill, people brought their dogs here and you could make friends. Yes it was loud at night, but this was broad daylight and nearly empty. At this point, they’ve actively ruined a good thing.

I’ve never been more disappointed of this place, a place I personally have recommended over and over to friends and fam and come to every time I have a chance. The first drinks were served by a female bartender, we ordered 2 mezcal drinks .. after an hour or so and before leaving we ordered one more to share between my husband and a bartender with a scarf brought us a drink that by color, was extremely watered down - we always have the mezcal drinks which are yellow toned and whatever he brought wasn’t even yellow, it was crystal clear. When we questioned him, he started yelling and claimed the music was loud so he used a louder tone. We asked to close the tab and over and over told him the name of my card and he refused to listen with the most gross attitude walking away. The female bartender walked back, super defensive attitude, and said “It’s your drink and he served the end of the draft” Anyone with 10% brain would deny or decline that but for whatever reason they thought we had to receive this - drink we declined twice. The third bartender, with a gross smirk on his face — dismissed us and told us “Have a good night” Coming from someone who’s done this job, this is a disgusting way to acknowledge customers and dismiss them regardless of the fact that they wanted us to sip on a drink that was “the end of the draft.” I don’t know how much you care about this, but you have forever destroyed our love for estéreo & estéreo FM — for 100% we will never come back or pass word of mouth to an establishment that behaves this way — this isn’t how you treat people unless you assume everyone is drunk and you get away with this behavior! With our Latino industry hurting, I am more than ok with sharing the disgusting service we received tonight. From a biz owner to another — check in your staff, shittiest, lowest service I’ve seen a while. DO BETTER! Whoever is catching these you’re clearly ignoring all your recent reviews about the staff you have behind the bar - check yourself or close it up. GROSS!

I think this place is nice with its location and cheap drinks but the bouncers have attitude. I had been trying to use the restroom for 10 mins but everytime I went over there the stalls were busy so finally my sister and I go over there and go in real quick since it had taken so long to wait and exit after probably 2 mins. I am immediately stopped while heading back to my table saying that I now have a verbal stern warning for using the restroom with someone else. This message wasn’t delivered in a chill understanding way rather he scolded me like a child. Will truly never return, I understand policies exist but being physically stopped as if I had committed some insane crime felt insane to me, truly RANCID vibes.

Always a dependable spot to hit up on a week day or weekend. I’ve also loved taking visitors here who equally appreciate the vibe, aesthetic, and drinks menu. Service is usually quite prompt even on busier nights. The original Logan location is better than West Loop/Fulton’s, imo, but both are intrinsically Estereo.

Extensive draft list, great atmosphere. One of my favorite bars for daytime and nighttime. If you had to choose just one bar to go to for the rest of your life this would be a top contender

Good concept, but one rude bartender completely ruined the experience. We stopped at The Map Room after the Chicago Marathon to celebrate. We’d heard it was a great spot to grab a drink and bring in food. When we walked in, the bartender behind the counter gave a brief greeting, but when my wife and daughters walked ahead of me, he suddenly barked, “I need to see their IDs, call them back, you know their names.” His tone was unnecessarily hostile and caught me off guard. I calmly told him to relax and that they’d come back. I mentioned one of my daughters was 19, and his response was, “You have to leave,” with zero courtesy or professionalism. I fully understand ID rules, but there’s a respectful way to handle it. His attitude was aggressive, condescending, and frankly, embarrassing. We thouyght because you could eat at the establishment, she would be ok. The space itself seemed nice enough, but this bartender’s demeanor made it impossible to want to ever come back. Hopefully management addresses how staff speak to guests, because customer service matters as much as the beer selection.

Great place for a weekday beer. So many places don’t open until 3/4 making it hard when you’re looking for somewhere after lunch. Fun vibe like a dive but not the same crowd that feels like you’re excluded when you’re new. Tons of beer options and coffee options which is nice.

Just stopped in for a quick drink. They have a wide selection of beers on tap that are interesting and not your normal selection. They also have a ton of bottle and can choices for more beer, or cider if that’s more your style. They also have coffee! Friendly atmosphere and lots of maps and travel books, which adds a nice feeling.

One of the best bars in the city. The vibe, beer selection, and service is unbeatable. Do yourself a favor and go here for a pint. Fantastic selection of local and international beers!

We grabbed two seats at the end of the bar and settled in quickly. The place had a great crowd—someone on a laptop, a woman reading a paperback, a few groups catching up quietly, and a solo drinker who looked like he’d been coming here for years. Young and old, casual and curious—it all worked. The draft list was excellent without being overwhelming. The bartender walked us through a few options and offered samples without hesitation, which felt rare and appreciated. You could tell this wasn’t their first rodeo, and they weren’t there to upsell or rush. The space itself had character—maps on the walls, plenty of room to breathe, and a layout that lets you disappear into your own corner if you want to. It felt like a bar that people return to, not one they just try once. Come here for good beer, better service, and a crowd that feels like Chicago without the noise.

Skylark is a cool, laid-back spot with a retro vibe that makes it stand out. The craft beer selection is solid, and the pub food is tasty and reasonably priced. They also have live music sometimes, which adds to the fun atmosphere. It’s a cash-only place, so make sure to bring cash or be ready for the ATM. The service is friendly and the overall vibe is welcoming. Great place to relax with friends over drinks and comfort food!

I have the Jalapeno poppers with fries and it came with two dipping sauces. To my surprise the kale salad with salmon was delicious. I am surprised because I would usually never get a salad at a dive bar but the ingredients listed on the salad intrigued me. The services was great. There's an ATM inside since it's Cash Only.

Skylark is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owner Bob is very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Marvelous burger. Must come back. 10/10.

Total hole-in-the-wall dive bar energy, and in the best way! Cash only, but drinks are strong and cheap. Always a good crowd and a laid-back, no-frills atmosphere. It’s got that “everyone’s welcome” kind of energy.

Unique bar in the post-modern digital era (they only accept cash!) close to downtown Chicago. I have been here twice due to friends recommendation and will visit again soon with my cash in hand :)

To find Speakeasy go inside The Green Door. Walk to back past restrooms down the stairs and open hidden door on right wall at bottom of stairs. You will need to be added to waiting list is filled Dimly lit, strong drinks and cool freak show vibe. Shows run every so many minutes. Curtain opens and you don't know what's coming. We saw a Yukele guy and caberet. Bartenders were nice and good at their job.

I enjoy experiencing speakeasies when traveling. This was by far the coolest one I've ever been to! The service was amazing. The staff did a great job explaining how they operated with associated fees as soon as you walked in. I loved that there were no surprises on my bill. I don't want to spoil your experience but will say this was a one of a kind experience.

Payton was our host and she was AMAZING! Seriously so nice and attentive! She communicated with us how far we were in line and checked on us often! When we did get inside our expectations were beyond exceeded! Our servers were so kind and gave us all the cool details about the bar. If you go order the “you’re welcome” I believe fox is the name of the super cool lady who made the recipe and it’s one of the best drinks I’ve ever had! If you’re looking for a good time this place is worth the wait!!! We will 100% be coming back!

Speakeasy beneath The Green Door. Well executed cocktails with really unique flavor combinations. Vintage, campy movie clips are screened on a curtain that pulls back every hour for a burlesque performance. Food isn't as great as the drinks but is okay for a snack

This was a fun speakeasy! A local recommended it to us. There was a show and tarocard drinks. Dark and small. Great drinks. We enjoyed it!

Stopped into Carol’s Pub and had a really good time. The Chicago dog was exactly what I was hoping for, loaded with toppings and messy in the best way. Fries were fresh, hot, and honestly better than I expected. Perfect combo with a cold drink. What really stood out, though, was the band. The energy in the room was contagious, and it felt like everyone was just there to have a good time. The lights and setup gave it that small, up-close concert feel, which made the night even better. Overall, it’s not fancy, but that’s the charm. Good food, great music, and a fun crowd, I’d definitely go back.

Saw Waylon Wyatt there last night and it was incredible. Nicest most accommodating staff around. We asked for some special accommodations for our family’s needs and they went WAY above and beyond. Great people and an incredible, intimate venue to see a show. Can’t wait to be back!

Great spot to see a band and have some beers. I would recommend it unless you want to sit. Due to size there aren't many spots to sit. I believe they sell the limited seats but when we bought tickets there weren't any. Not a problem still. You get up close to whoever is playing which is great.

Carols was ok. We went on one of the hottest days and the place was hot inside. Their thermometers read in the 80’s. We had a beer and left.

I walked into Carol's Pub and Barstool Eddie's famous line This Is A Bar immediately popped in my head!! I love the decor, staff and music also they have an amazing burger and fries!

Food is amazing as always!! Atmosphere is top notch with bands but the bartender John is rude and unwelcoming! Very short with his answers! Had a tooth pic in his mouth the whole time and kept grabbing it and then put it back in his mouth and then pour a drink! John is the worst bartender ever! Will come back but won’t go to him again!!

This review is not for the Google company but rather the offices in this location. We came to tour the office & upon entering employees are very friendly. They helped us get our badges to be able to enter. We brought our little son with us & he enjoyed going inside the train cart and taking pictures. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to eat here- we were short on time. But my little son got some jelly beans and that was his highlight of this tour haha We came with a google employee and that’s the reason we got to come in.

They hosted Luma event for AI! Which was suppose to start 5pm although it started 1 hour late. All attendes were told to stand in lobby area! No seating! Managrment was poor. Even registration system was poor! Not expecting from Google

This is a review of Google Fi. Do not under any circumstance use this service. Here’s why: They are not good at number porting at all. They messed mine up horribly coming from T-Mobile, could not make or receive calls even 3 days after the transfer. Secondly, their support for this type of thing is so limited that I needed to leave the service and go back to TMobile. They can’t trouble shoot their network, that can’t talk what the issue is and are of no help in escalating or even talk to a manager. Lastly, and here is the evidence. 36 hours to transfer the number back. Google is horrible at this. DO NOT GO TO GOOGLE FI. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Super funny and embarrassing for Google is T-Mobile could tell me more about their transfer woes with data and status then they can. Service is awful.

The google fi service and bits support to me are the worst I have ever dealt with. I canceled my service within 3 days of having it because it was so bad ... now I am stuck in google support hell of incompetency and no clue on listening or how they support their network.

Google it's more than a school or university, it's a life project and knowing part of my alma mater is wonderful! I hope to return soon to make a virtual tour of all the facilities to give a contribution to whoever has contributed me with knowledge and professional development. What Google does today is simply incredible.

Despite listing unusual ingredients, and with a wide range of exotic spirits clearly visible on the shelves of this subdued wood paneled venue, the cocktails themselves do not meaningfully showcase the ingredients they advertise. If you want a place that looks cool, this fits the bill. If you actually care about the quality of a cocktail, I strongly recommend taking your date elsewhere.

Absolutely love trying their seasonal cocktails when I'm visiting from Detroit. Always something unique that catches my eye that makes me close the menu immediately and order that without reading the rest. This time was no different. If you're unsure of what ti order absolutely ask the staff for some help. They're always extremely helpful and love talking about the drinks from what I can tell haha. If you happen to pass by absolutely stop by and try a drink or two!

The cocktails are great, the cheese plate was wonderful, but what really makes this place unique is their huge collection of rare and vintage liquor. Their Amaro selection in particular is second to none, and the bartenders are experts in their craft.

The Octli (tall glass) is the best cocktail I've ever had! The chicken liver mousse was astounding as well, definitely recommend it. We came right at opening at 5pm on a Friday night and it was nice to have the place to ourselves with great music in the background. Great unpretentious vibe.

The cocktails are creative and terrific and the food is splendid. Old-school, dark-wood-panel vibes mixed with creative cocktail combos and stellar food! As for drinks, Salty Dog and Tea Time were surprisingly strong. Box Lunch tasted like cinnamon toast crunch just as the waitress said it would. I was very hesitant to try the Papa Don't Peach since it had egg white in it, but I tried and it wasn't bad! I don't remember anything about Kent or Baby Darlin', but I know I tried them. As for food, our group tried the gooey butter cake, which was good as a standalone cake with the berry compote, but not a gooey butter cake by any means. It was too dry. It tasted like a slice of vanilla cake with jam. Overall, a great place for drinks and some small/large plates - or, in our case, drinks and dessert.

One of my new favourite cocktail bars. They have an ever changing menu that has had fun new things to try every time I have visited alongside some excellent takes on classics (you have to try their negroni) and a truly fantastic atmosphere.

Picked a great day to head down to Chicago! Half Acre released not 1, but 2 of their barrel aged beers today: Orin & Bazalt Wilderness of History. First in line and glad we got to try a pour of each! Also had their Oktoberfest and tried a guest tap from Art History Brewing that were both great after all the boozy barrel deliciousness 🍻

I love daisy cutter! I have been to Chicago multiple times and I always get Daisy cutter and this is my first time being at half acre brewery. Unfortunately chicago is the only place I can find daisy cutter. I am from KC and we can't get it out there which really sucks. I have to say that half acre was amazing and I loved all the ipa's/pale ales we got ! Definitely recommend for anyone who likes a good pale ale! 10/10.

Visited May 2024. Great craft beer brewery. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good selection of beers, mostly pale ales/ipas when I visited but also some heavier darker beers + lagers etc. There is something for everyone. There was also a shop, good amount of to-go beers, merch and some weed stuff. They also serve food!

Perfect stop while biking around the city. Great outdoor area as well as bar inside. Shop has lots of to go beer and other items. Food is excellent and the service too. Definitely recommend stopping by.

I recently photographed a fall wedding here & it was an absolute blast! I really enjoyed working with Adia, the event manager. She helped everything run smoothly, has a great personality, & was so supportive to the couple & myself! I loved the way everything photographed & didn't run into any issues working here. We walked over to Winnemac Park for portraits and it was stunning! I'd highly recommend hosting your event at this venue. I'd love to work here again! :)

Bought tickets online for a 9pm show that didn't go on until after 11:15pm, when we gave up and left. Owner was kind enough to refund our tickets after I complained. It's a loud divey bar, but could be fun, if you're into that. Cheap drinks and short walk to the train.

May 25th. Open a tab, see a local band, chill out a bit. Bartender is busy but professional and nice. Go outside for some air+coffee from the 7/11. Walk around the block. Come back. About to go back inside and buy another drink and start to relax, for once. Doorman flicks his burnt cigarette at me and it hits me. Ignore it and try to make a joke. Go inside, spend another $12 and tip well, but after the whole cigarette thing I guess people knew (before me) my heart was no longer in it. Get home and realize to myself that it is pretty hard to accidentally fling your cigarette at someone. Leave a review at 2am as psychological consolation ... and I do feel better after writing this, unfortunately. I don't think this is a common experience! I am not sure what I did to incur the cigarette-flinging wrath, and overall the rest of the bar was great.

I love dives and Cole’s has been added to the list. A diverse range of people and styles were here on a Friday night. I didn’t pay to see the live music in the back but it sounded great from the bar. They have a photobooth that does “darkroom” pictures, a pool table, local art adorning the walls, cute wooden bench booths, and good vibes all around.

I usually have a great time as Cole’s bar but last night was actually terrifying. A man got aggressively and belligerent with me and proceeded to reach inside his pants as if he was pulling out a gun. Only his friend came to push him out of the way. Why aren’t you all doing pat downs at the door?? Also the lack of care the management team had when they were informed about the situation was truly disgusting. Do better and protect your patrons!!!

A Logan Square classic.A genuine dive bar and music venue. As in, not "Dive Bar, brought to you by Expensive Trendy DB Restaurant Group, Inc, for Elite Industry Heads" - no, it's an actual legit dive bar. If you want the Logan Square indie experience, this place and Cafe Mustache are it.

Food: N/A Drinks: Old Fashioned. It was ok and STRONG. I believe on special for $10 Service: All of the staff were cool! Some regulars were present and they were cool as well lol! Atmosphere: Pool tables, live band (I left before they started), dive bar type vibes Final Thoughts: Go grab a drink.

Stumbled upon The Matchbox the other night, and man, this place is tiny but oozing with that classic Chicago charm. It's like squeezing into a CTA train during rush hour, but way more fun. The bartender, Zack, whipped up a killer margarita for around $12—totally worth it. The vibe's cozy, making it easy to chat with folks around you. If you're looking for a spot with character and solid drinks, The Matchbox is a must-hit.​

Visiting town for a wedding and was looking for good cocktails, found this bar on Google Maps and it did NOT disappoint! I really liked the lowkey vibe and eclectic music selection. I ordered a pisco sour, then another pisco sour because it was so tasty! And very reasonably priced. The staff is really personable, too. Would definitely return next time I'm in Chicago!

Rolled into Matchbox Bar on Ogden after work, tiny vintage joint, super cozy vibes. I ordered two margaritas and a vodka gimlet, spent about $25 pre‑tip. Bartenders were chill but a tad brusque, felt a bit rushed on a weeknight. Space’s snugness is part of the charm though. Solid spot for a quick buzz, would’ve given five, but service could've been warmer.

Best margarita I’ve had in a long time!!!! Frothy, made with fresh ingredients and so good. Servers are so friendly and accommodating. Would attach a picture of my perfect marg, but I drank it too quickly!

Nothing special. $49 before tip for 2 cocktails and an IPA is pretty mind blowing for a place that isn’t on a rooftop downtown. And to top it off they don’t even have matchboxes… Outdoor area is nice.
