A cool place with a rustic atmosphere, plenty of seating area both inside and outside. We went there for dinner and were able to get a table without reservations, (although it might not be like this on weekends). The pizzas from their pizza menu were really tasty and when i asked to remove something from mine, they were open to customisation :).

Fantastic food spot in Tallinn. First of all, the staff and the place deserve alone 5 stars. The lady that welcomed us managed to find us a table for 2 even if they were pretty full and the guy serving us was really friendly and helpful. About the place, it has an incredible urban vibe. From what I read, it was an old factory that is now transformed in this place. Really great vibe and great music too. In the 15 minutes wait for our table, we ordered the mint mocktail that was surprisingly really tasty. The food choices are really interesting. Originally we wanted to take one portion of dumplings and one of loaded fried but then, looking at the pizza menu, we ordered also a beetroot, green onions and goat cheese pizza. Generally we don't really like beetroot, but the flavour here was subtle and enjoyable. The pizza choices in general were really unique and loaded with toppings, making it also a nice value for money. About the taste, it was all really nice, just everything slightly salty, but not too much to ruin the taste. F-Hoone is absolutely suggested for a dinner out and try their pizza, they're tasty and with interesting toppings.

Visit to F-Hoone, Telliskivi tn 60a, 10412 Tallinn. The place is located in the Telliskivi area, known for its art and creative atmosphere. We managed to get one of the few tables that wasn’t occupied or reserved. My choice was easy – Pizza Nduja with extra chili. My son chose the smashed burger with sweet potato fries. Both the pizza and the burger were good, and the service was fast and friendly. A small minus for the poorly cut pizza. What wasn’t good, however, was the toilet – the door needed a lock.

Excellent food and cool surroundings. Pretty decent service as well (went for an early lunch and it was fairly quiet). They have a decent beer and drinks selection and my wife enjoyed the virgin cocktails a lot.

Very cozy and original atmosphere, lots of tables but still feels intimate. The soup was tasty (a bit spicy), and I really liked the cauliflower. A very strange choice in the men’s restroom – open toilets.

Food is delicious! It was fairly busy when we dined here, but service was still friendly and we didn't feel rushed. We were seated on a nice covered patio. We had some local beers and loaded fries for starters, the fries had lots of flavor and sauce. For our main course we had the crispy chicken on Belgian waffle, it was a perfect blend of salty and sweet! 👌

F-Hoone was our last dinner stop in Tallinn, Estonia, on September 6th, 2025, just before heading to Helsinki. We had actually tried to get in the Friday before but it was nearly impossible, with people queuing outside, a sign of how popular this place is, and one of the reasons we decided to give it a try. The menu is straightforward and waiting times were reasonable. Here’s what we ordered: Duck confit bao – €9.20 Loaded fries with pancetta and parmesan – €8.40 Crispy chicken with Belgian waffle and coleslaw – €13.10 Korean-style rice noodle dish (tteokbokki) – €13.00 Vallformosa Cava, Origen Brut Reserva – €8.70 Chocolate–mascarpone cake – €5.00 Total: €57.40 The crispy chicken was a bit too sweet due to the sauce, while the Korean noodles were extremely spicy, so much so that finishing half was nearly impossible. While I respect everyone’s preferences, I personally didn’t quite understand what makes this spot so popular and crowded, as what I had felt like ordinary food without anything particularly special. Would I recommend it? Yes, it’s worth experiencing, but I can’t say it stood out in any memorable way for me. Thanks.

Visited Kohvik Maiasmokk, Tallinn's oldest café, established in 1864. The atmosphere is steeped in history, with a beautifully preserved interior that transports you back in time. Fabulous place with fabulous atmosphere. The menu is pretty small, but there is everything what is needed. We took the breakfast and it was very healthy. Waiting time was around 20 min. They have marvelous pastries. Note that they have limited places to seat, you might wait to grab a seat. Highly recommended!

The food here is really nice and tasty. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Prices are reasonable for a tourist spot. The place feels cozy and comfortable, and the view is amazing, that is perfect for relaxing. Definitely worth a visit!

A Sweet Slice of History in Tallinn I had the pleasure of visiting Café Maiasmokk during my trip to Tallinn, and it truly felt like stepping back in time. The lovely lady at the cashier is so nice.. the café is Help surface you ordered at the counter and then you collect your order and seat yourself. The dessert is good a coffee not bad. I give 5 stars for the atmosphere and the team members there are in the character of a middle age tavern. I tried the cabbage pastry, it's amazing, some other customers loved the elk soup, but I found it a bit salty, overall still 5 stars for the experience. If you are not too keen on the food, I guess you can just order a beer to soak in the atmosphere.

The moment you step inside, you’re transported into a medieval tavern — dimly lit rooms, rustic wooden tables, and servers dressed in authentic medieval costumes. The atmosphere feels both cozy and mysterious, as if you’ve stepped into a different century. The restaurant offers a small but memorable menu. One of the highlights is their bone soup, a rich and flavorful broth filled with lentils, carrots, and pieces of bone marrow. It’s not only delicious but also fun to eat — or rather, drink — since it’s served in a clay bowl without a spoon, so you sip it directly, just like in the old days. The portion is generous, and for just 5 euros, it’s an excellent value. To accompany your meal, you can enjoy a pint of beer for 7 euros, along with freshly baked bread. There are two cozy rooms inside, each with 4–5 tables, and four outdoor tables that can seat around 20 people. The ambiance is peaceful, especially in the evening when the lights are low. The restaurant is small, decorated in a nice medieval style, in the main square of the town. You must know that entering the restaurant you are going to roleplay a tiny bit of medieval life, being in a tavern after a long trip on your horse. The lady plays a very good role, speaks perfect english, and feels like she is a maid of another era, kudos to her. The ox rib is amazing: soft meat on a big bone. If you love meat, take that and it will be enough as a meal. The ambiet is really nice: dim lights with real candles. You can even catch your own pickle from a barrel by stabbing it with a wooden stick, pretty fun! Whoever does not understand the roleplay should not post bad reviews. The waitress is not rude, she is playing a role, and very fun to talk with if you roleplay back! The medieval style is all around the city, many other vendors dress like old fashion times.

Amazing, authentic place – right in the heart of the old town! Everything is arranged in such an original way – the dishes, the waitresses, everything! The food is delicious, and you eat without any cutlery! You even have to bring your dishes back yourself. A really fun part – you get to fish out your own pickled cucumber from a barrel! In short, 10 out of 10 for the experience!

We visited III Draakon while exploring Tallinn’s Old Town and it honestly felt like stepping back in time. The little tavern is cosy and atmospheric with flickering candles, wooden mugs and staff dressed in medieval style. We ordered the famous elk soup which was hearty and full of flavour, just perfect for a cool day. We also tried the Ox sausages and the Ox rib steak and both were delicious. Since I do not eat pork I asked about the ingredients and the staff kindly checked everything for me to make sure it was suitable. Their attentiveness really made me feel welcome. Overall it was a memorable stop with authentic Estonian flavours at a very reasonable price. I would recommend III Draakon to anyone visiting Tallinn who wants to try something traditional in a unique setting.

I got drawn on because it’s a very old building. Interesting interior, but it’s a tourist trap after all. I paid 11€ for a pastry and a watery soup with a small piece of dried elk. It’s quite small and dark inside and the sales women in a costume is trying to make you order more and also requests tips on top. Food wasn’t amazing, dark and small inside and you are supposed to buy expensive food items that shouldn’t cost that much

Pancake was flavorful, soups were nice as well. We arrived at 16:45 and waited about 5m to get a table. After that hour, it's pretty crowded with a long line. Price of pancake is just ~7euro, it's huge, enough for two.

A legendary pancake place where there’s almost always a queue. We waited about 10 minutes to get in (visited at 8:30 PM, they close at 10 PM). We ordered: smoked salmon pancake perfect, my personal favorite; chicken in cream sauce pancake not for everyone, a bit dry for my taste; ham with cheese sauce pancake; beef with pickles pancake - delicious if you like pulled boiled meat; sweet pancake with strawberries and ice cream top choice, tender and well-balanced; sweet pancake with cherries and vanilla sauce - a bit unusual because of the coconut flakes (I’d skip them), but my friends loved it. Portions are huge and generously filled — one pancake can easily be shared by two. The staff speaks multiple languages, and Milan was friendly and attentive.

Great place, absolutely must visit when you are in Tallinn! The food is very tasty, big portions - so come here not for adessert but for a main course. There's usually a queue at the entrance but it totally worth it!

The food was good. Not many vegan options. They did manage to shuffle us in last minute and that was super kind! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The interior design was very aesthetic and cozy.

Our last lunch in Tallinn and this restaurant was recommend to us, there was no wait for a table & we were given a table on the second floor by the window with a fantastic view. The menu choices are limited but this is no doubt deliberate, as all the produce tasted very fresh. All the side dishes were amazing and highly recommend. The fish and chicken main dishes were really nice, we didn't have a starter or dessert. Service was pleasant and we were guided well ref menu options by our server Kristiina

This is superb! We walked by this on day 1 and been meaning to try. God the food did not disappoint!! Really good! Fish is well flavoured and tender then the flakes were bursting w umani. Try to kombucha to clear palate and boost ur immune :)) and the dessert cheese cake is not to be missed. I love this place for the ambient greaty quality food

We came to Tallinn on a whim for the Midsummer weekend, and unbeknownst to us it was also graduation week. Even though it was a busy Friday night, the hostess at Pegasus took us as a walk-in and sat us immediately. The patio is right on a lively main walking street and made for great dog-watching :) Our server, Artur, was a friendly young gentleman — knowledgeable about the menu and able to make a few great recommendations. He worked the room like a pro and we were quite impressed when he mentioned it was his first week at the restaurant. The food was superb. We had a bunch of appetizers, the whipped feta and tartare were real standouts. All the flavors were so well thought out, completely balanced — nothing out of place. The basque cheesecake had a delicious pistachio sorbet with lots of seeds for a little crunch, as well as a tart cherry compote and espresso foam. Again, so well thought out. A perfect dessert. Overall, our visit to Pegasus was 10/10 and we will definitely be back!

Our guide directed us to this restaurant. I went in with no apprehensions of what to expect. I was happily surprised. The place is charming and has multiple floors. We sat in a window overlooking the square. Our waitress discussed with usthe menu in a lot of detail. She was very knowledgeable about it even though she said the menu had only been in place for a week. We made our order and discussed wine pairing and decided to go with the chef's recommendations. We started with the smoked salmon appetizer with citrus sauce and fermented fennel. Delicious! My partner had the chicken with artichokes cream and pickled celeriac, she loved it. I had the lamb with pickled dicon, smoked yogurt sauce and chorizo/carrots puree. Perfectly prepared with a very balanced flavors palette. For desert we shared the egg free pavlova with black currants sorbet and a splash of mint oil. Absolutely delicious! Our server was absolutely amazing never missing a beat, always there and never intrusive. I can't recommend this restaurant more... Go here!

A really lovely restaurant, we loved the design and ambience. We came for lunch, but a big lunch. Started with the bread, pickles, and potato cakes with mushroom tartar. All delicious! Perfect flavors and great aesthetics. We had dumplings and chicken Kiev for lunch. Wow! Both were excellent choices. And I appreciate the appropriate portion (others might complain too small). For dessert we tried pavlova and strawberry. Both were light, not too sweet...delicate. Delicious! Besides waiting a while for our check, everything was fast. We had a good experience, paid a fair price, and highly recommend a meal here.

I visited this restaurant twice during my stay in Tallinn, and both experiences were wonderful! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made me feel right at home. I came once for lunch and once for dinner, and I loved how the atmosphere felt completely different each time—both equally enjoyable in their own way. For food, I tried the beetroot soup, which was fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. The salmon I had was delicious and surprisingly light, while the chicken Kiev on my second visit was rich and very tasty—though quite filling, so I’d suggest pairing it with a lighter starter. Overall, I highly recommend this place—great food, warm service, and a lovely atmosphere!

Amazing place with modern industrial decoration. Food is just amazing for the 3 tapas dishes I tasted, I went there in the Middle of the afternoon so no issue to have seats but it must bé crowded during meal times. I really enjoyed the Siberian Dumpling and Salo, so typical. Price is quite liké other touristy places of Tallinn but food is much better and original

I really liked it despite the portions not being too big. We tried Akroshka (more cold beetroot soup rather than what I was expecting from my childhood), Siberian Dumplings and Roast Lamb were all delicious. I’m not sure I’d go back, but would recommend to try at least once when in Tallinn

We went there for lunch and had a great time. The taproom and store was really clean and modern. It was a hot day so they opened up all the windows and even set up some portable fans to make it cooler. The store, with beer and merchandise is great. We ate the vegan burger and loved it! Mustard and pickles were in full focus and we loved the selection of six different sauces! The menu suggests which beer works well with the food and I ordered my beer based on that. Great choice - a pale ale worked all in the heat. Unfortunately despite lots of staff seemingly working the service was slow and there was only one person working behind the bar for the first 30 minutes despite people waiting around. When service got going it was much better. The waiter staff helped us with our four year old’s food request and they were nice enough. Definitely worth a visit. Great food, great beer and great atmosphere.

This spot offered an excellent beer tasting experience with a wide variety of choices. I enjoyed sampling a great selection of brews, each with its own distinct flavor profile. To accompany the drinks, there was a hearty and flavorful sausage—robust and satisfying. The only downside was that it leaned toward the pricier side, but overall, it was a solid and memorable experience for beer lovers.

Fantastic beers and impressive food to go with it. If your a keen craft beer drinker and find yourself wandering around Tallinn you must drop by. Especially if the suns out a have a beer on their balcony.

It’s the taproom of the Põhjala brewery, and they have 24 beers on tap, mostly their own. 2 | All beers are listed on the screens at the bar, where you also place your order. A 0.4-liter beer costs €5–8 depending on the type. I personally recommend the mandarin IPA Põhjala Mandarina and the mango sour ale — I really liked both. You can also try more unusual beers, such as a chocolate porter or a beer brewed with added birch. 3 | The interior is very cozy. Time passes quickly here and it’s a comfortable place to sit. The taproom is located on the second floor, giving you a view from above of the area where the beer is brewed. 4 | You can order various kinds of food to go with your beer. We had homemade fries, which I found quite overpriced, but they were good in terms of taste.

Had a fantastic lunch here with the family. Had a tasting paddle and every beer was absolutely fantastic, the red lager and red ale were standouts. They have a smoker on site for delicious smoked meats and all the food was delicious. Great friendly atmosphere and staff were great.

If you’re in Tallinn, I highly recommend heading to Põhjala Brewery & Tap Room to taste some great beer. Fast service at the taps and not too expensive is a plus. When I was here, there were 24 different beers to try.

We had really good time here! The food was good and I did enjoy especially the brisket and ribs from the grill. Of course the beers are excellent and there are plenty of different options. Only thing I was missing was some passion from the staff and some sparkling in their eyes- like the taproom is something you should be proud of! I felt the service was a bit lazy, we didnt got any recommendations even after asking.

Small bakery that had a lovely scent when I walked it. The pastry was being baked so there was a delicious smell of the baked good. I had a delicious cardamon bun that was juicy and sticky. The espresso was strong and bitter and to my liking. I was not that impressed with the croissant as that did not feel freshly baked and hence it was not that crispy on the outside. All in all, a great place to stop by for a coffee and some sweet pastry before you continue exploring the town.

Rost is, in my opinion, one of the most famous bakeries in Tallinn, Estonia. On our last early morning in the city, we wanted some coffee and sweet snacks before hitting the road and were amazed to see a queue already forming. There were at least a dozen people waiting to get in, while the staff inside were busy preparing for opening but the line moved quickly. Once inside, we enjoyed our drinks and pastries on the comfortable benches outside. Everything tasted absolutely amazing, and I especially recommend the fresh morning croissant with ham and cheese. A perfect way to start the day in Tallinn!!

Everything about this bakery is exceptional, aside from how it's quite small and very busy! But that's speaks to how good it is. All the pastries are made on site. The cinnamon bun is the best I have ever tasted. The correct is also really good. I wish there could be bakeries like this in the UK

The tuna sandwich was a solid 10/10 (the bread is just incredible). The oat cappuccino was also perfect, definitely another 10/10! I visited around 11am and it was quite busy, but we still managed to grab a table outside and enjoy the Rotermann views. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a stop! 🙌🏼

You are drawn to this place by the lovely smell of freshly backed buns. We opted for the cinnamon, gooseberry, and cardamom buns - each as good as the other! There is always a queue but the service is swift. Tried their coffee a couple of times, but wasn’t for me as too bitter.

There was a queue already forming at 0930 when we reached. Space is cosy with limited seatings. Had an enjoyable breakfast with a cup of coffee. Good for an Estonian cafe experience to start off the morning!

Came here around 9:40am,there were like 20 people queued up. Went back an hour later,finally managed to get in. The cardamon bun was ok but i had a higher expectation due to the hype.If it was reheated,it should taste better. The smell is great and you can smell it even in the alley before you see the bakery. The flat white was unexpectedly good.

A good place to escape the meat-heavy Estonian cuisine. Very tasty dishes at a reasonable price. However, the menu is exactly the same as last year, so a bit of variety would be good here. But the restaurant is mostly frequented by tourists who perhaps only eat here once. It must be very boring for the kitchen though... The service is professional, but not as warm as on our first visit.

In August 2025, I traveled to 5 countries with my vegan friend, and we discovered some amazing places! Although I'm not vegan, I'm quite open-minded. This was definitely one of the top spots in Tallinn! It's essential to make a reservation, but the food was absolutely worth it!

Top restaurant in the old town! Dishes were heavenly! Loved the beetroot ravioli, black bread served with it, skewers and dubai chocolate pistachio ball dessert. Service was lovely too. It is a popular place so make sure you reserve (online avail) in advance during peak times!

Probably the best meal we had in Tallinn. We noticed it was very hard to get a table, went a few times and always full, but when we finally were lucky enough to get a table, totally worth the wait. Do yourself a favor and go there, but make a reservation if you can. Service was great. They also had a great selection of nonalcoholic and alcoholic drinks, many of them local. You won’t be disappointed.

I had read the reviews and had high expectations but they were exceeded! The restaurant is beautiful and romantic, the staff friendly and highly professional, the food delicious. The curry is the best I have ever had in my life and the bread so good, I had to buy it and bring it back to Italy. The place is quite small, do remember to make a reservation, you do not wanna miss the opportunity to eat here!

I love the tiramisu! Must try🥰The food is really good. I think the service could be even better, we need to give some food to the baby and ask the kitchen to warm them up. They were like we don’t have microwave. I feel my need wasn’t about having a microwave but get the baby some food to eat so he can be quiet and content in the restaurant. I think the food can as well be warmed up in the warm water since this is a restaurant. I am hoping they could help more and make the service stands out but it is okay, at least the food was good.

A restaurant worth checking out. We went for dinner during the week and enjoyed the experience. The menu is nicely limited, the portions are carefully thought out and prepared, for example the baby octopus was cooked really well. Had a nice bottle of Primitive with food. This is a very nice cozy restaurant! We had a lovely dinner and some really good wine! The food was interesting, some new combinations I have never had before. I liked everything I tried and I would deff go back to try more!

We chose this restaurant for its convenient proximity to our hotel. Our meal began with a delightful selection of starters: porcini mushrooms and sea trout. As we settled in, freshly baked bread and butter arrived, followed shortly by two exquisite culinary creations. The fried mushroom balls, nestled in a luscious cheese sauce, boasted a crisp crust and deep, satisfying flavor. The sea trout, beautifully presented, was accompanied by a silky avocado purée, vibrant passionfruit sauce, and fresh strawberries—a feast for both the eyes and the palate. Our chosen wine, a Grüner Veltliner, complemented the dish’s bright acidity perfectly. With such a promising start, our expectations for the main course—the crispy carp fish—were high. The attentive waitress provided impeccable service, ensuring every detail met our preferences. The dish itself was divine, a masterful symphony of textures and flavours, flawlessly orchestrated. A true delight, both visually stunning and exquisitely balanced for the taste buds. The wine selection further enhanced the experience, creating a perfect pairing. For dessert, we indulged in fresh strawberries and Basque cheesecake, accompanied by a delicate glass of Sauternes. This final touch rounded off our meal beautifully, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. This will be my first recommendation to friends visiting Estonia. Beef ramen in the French onion style was magnificent, possibly the best ramen I’ve had. The basque cheesecake was very good, 8.5/10 Such a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant also.

This place is pretty good, food was fresh and tasty. Eclectic atmosphere with tons of separate rooms, almost felt like a maze; but fun and vibey. Staff was nice and very…standard. Loved the banana mint milkshake; a must try.

This place is very cozy, atmospheric and beautifully decorated with antiques, paintings and unique details. The space feels a bit like a maze with multiple rooms. The service was very welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately, the menu was quite limited, especially for vegetarians, vegans and pescatarians. I chose the shrimp pasta in creamy chili sauce with marinated paprika and blue cheese since it was the only option I liked. My friends tried the Caesar salad, dumplings (note that they are quite spicy) and nuggets with fries. All food was decent but nothing special. Regarding drinks, the house wine was good, but the Tequila Sunrise had almost no distinct flavor. Overall, this place is more about the atmosphere and experience rather than the food or drinks.

The design of the cafe is very interesting, but a cafe remains a cafe, probably only drinks and light snacks can be good. We visited for a birthday dinner and were disappointed. We ordered soup and main dishes, they brought drinks first, then soups and then main dishes, which got cold while we were eating soup, who does that? The creamy soups were really not creamy, we tried two different ones, the milky soup with curdled cheese is far from being creamy, the vegetables in the soup were just from a set of frozen vegetables, the tomato soup was also not creamy, it blows people's minds. The main dishes were greasy and at really high prices, for which you expect a more aesthetic image on the plate. Dried buckwheat with mini shrimp that were overcooked rubbery, chopped smoked salmon, all mixed with tomato sauce and topped with one half of a not-quite-ripe tomato when August is tomato season. 55 euros were received for such a dinner. Only vermouth and spritz cocktail was tasty. It's a shame that we decided to have dinner here.

Been here many times and ate quite a lot of different dishes. Overall, rather simple food. Atmosphere is okay, but ventilation in the kitchen is not efficient enough and there is a super strong cooking/frying smell everywhere.

We had lunch with my daughter, buckwheat with salmon and shrimps in tomatoe-basil sauce, pasta with chicken and Boheem pomegranate lemonades. So delicious! There was no dairy free pasta on the menu so the waitress arranged a special meal for my daughter. Super friendly service and very relaxed atmosphere. Also, we got our meals very quickly, portion size was good for a lunch. Definitely recommend!

The latte is now just normal/average, and the staff is not as friendly as I expected. Service can be slow, and you may need to wave to get the attention. Nonetheless, the atmosphere remains pleasant.

We booked a table weeks in advance when we knew we were visiting Tallinn. We ate there on a Monday evening in the summer but the place was fairly empty. We were sat at the back of the restaurant in the main room and felt we were away from the atmosphere. The decor is really nice - modern, clean and industrial while at the sane time warm and cosy. As a vegan, they had no problems adapting the menu. As a starter I had a grilled asparagus with the a creamy truffle sauce and for a main meal had an incredible risotto. The frozen chocolate cake with berries was insanely good! Unfortunately the staff weren’t friendly or inviting and they were not generous with the wine. Tip! Buy a bottle otherwise you’ll get a very tiny pour. When our waitress poured the wine, we assumed it was a splash just to taste the wine but nope!

Absolute delight! 🙌 The food was exciting, fresh, jummy in each bite, service sincere, urban-sleek yet friendly surroundings. And amazing seafront that can be a plus not only in the summer heat but also in a cold autumn evening (this evening: aurora borealis as a compliment from the nature ☺️)

Absolutely love this place! Found it on Michelin guide & dined here twice on a short trip. Run by a young, smiley & super helpful staff. Food is excellent and location by the marina is hard to beat. Highly recommended.

We had been waiting for this restaurant experience and booked a table well in advance, because we know that the restaurant had received a Michelin recommendation. Well, I don't remember when we had received such poor service. At the start we ordered (3pax) 3 breads to start, we got 5 pieces, when we asked the waiter about it, she said that everyone could taste it? A what??? At this point, it didn't even occur to me that my asparagus starter would come with all the main courses? 😒 The only thing we got a correct time was a water, all other got drinks we got a little after the main courses and even then so I got the risotto and the asparagus "my starter" at the same time whit all the other main courses???? So..When the dishes were served, we asked about this; were told that the drinks had just arrived, the order regarding was completely ignored. This restaurant completely lacks control on the serving side, there was no one to even properly correct mistakes because all the waiters were too young to understand the mistakes made. Which was a shame in itself because the food itself was good, but in this case it doesn't make up for the whole thing. I would not never recommend 😒 this place!!!

We had a great experience and enjoyed the food, the views, and the great service. We were a little hesitant at first because some reviews said service was awful. We can’t say that at all. We called to make a reso before heading over on a Sunday and no one answered. Within 5min someone called back and made the reso. We arrived and they had a great table outside on the waterfront with amazing views. The servers were all super nice and gave great recommendations. The food arrived and everything was delicious. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed the duck but not the service here this time around. For our table, the trainee was switched for a more experienced server (shift manager) after a disagreement over whether one person could order a mixed selection meant for at least 2 people for a group of 8 so everyone can try the food - probably a combination of busy friday night & trainee not being used to large group orders. That kind of dampened our experience. My duck was perfectly cooked to medium minus and the primitivo red went well with it. I quite enjoyed the really fresh beef tartar as well. I’ll probably go back, but with 2-4 people max.

I visited Barbarea during their French Week and tried the special tasting menu. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience—the atmosphere was nice, and the concept was well thought out. That said, there were a few minor issues. The tartar was great, but only one crackling per person to eat it with felt a bit limited. The deer fillet could have been more tender, and the sauce was a bit too salty for my taste

Nice place, good service. Food tasted great but I found it overpriced for the quantity, especially the portion of that grilled octopus with mashed. But overall great cozy atmosphere. Would def recommend this place as I’m pretty bored of ordinary menus u see everywhere (like duck breast or grilled fish)

One of the best restaurants I have visited lately. Only flaw we could find was slightly overcooked octopus that tasted still great. All the other stuff from the tasting menu was varied and the sharing worked nicely. Service was absolutely delightful and wines were paired nicely. One of us did not like dessert and got savoury portion instead, this was nice touch. Terrace was fantastic, the area has a great atmossphere, it was all shots firing and nothing was left in the barrel.

Firstly, I will say this was a good experience. The area is incredible and it enhances how you feel about the restaurant. Onto the not great parts - the food was GOOD! But, really nothing special for a Michelin Guide restaurant - the menu is unimaginative. Having said that, the price is decent and worth it. Where this place falls flat is service. I had to ask two separate servers (one twice) for cutlery which meant my food was cold by the time my fork and knife came. The servers seem to only care when you try get their attention vigorously or once your plate is empty. The potential of this restaurant is immense, but it's let down sorely for an unimaginative menu (which tastes pretty decent) and poor service.

Barbarea, tucked away in the creative hub of Põhjala Tehas, is a place where industrial charm meets contemporary dining. By day, it operates as the much-loved Karjase Sai bakery, but in the evening it transforms into a stylish bistro with a relaxed, social atmosphere. Enjoyed a tasting menu of around six dishes, each carefully composed to showcase a mix of international influences and seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. The flavors were well-balanced, the presentation thoughtful. The setting is warm yet airy, blending the raw character of its former industrial space with creative touches that make it feel both modern and welcoming. While Barbarea didn’t earn a star or Bib Gourmand in the 2025 Michelin Guide, it is still featured as one of Estonia’s noteworthy modern bistros — a testament to its quality and its role in Tallinn’s growing culinary scene. Verdict: A great choice for anyone looking for a casual-yet-refined evening, with inventive dishes, a creative atmosphere, and a genuine sense of place.

Starters and desserts were amazing! The honey cake is something we still dream about. Their house wine (skin contact) was the star of the show, so good! Unfortunately main courses let us down. Duck breast dish didn’t really work for us, the whole dish tasted very bitter and burnt-like due to the overwhelming amount of sumac. Couldn't really taste anything else in the dish. The meat itself was nicely cooked. Vegetarian main option (carrots) felt more like a side dish rather than a complete main dish. Despite the main dishes, the whole experience was very nice! We loved the atmosphere, service and other dishes. After our dinner we got some of the leftover sourdough focaccia with us to take home. That was such a nice gesture. We'll definitely be back to taste something different next time!

Our waitress Johanna was amazing! She would definitely deserve a payraise. Unfortunately the food did not reach expectations this time. Either too much pepper or too much lemon. The ravioli dish was good though.

My husband found this restaurant on google, and the reality was so much better than the review. We had the cheese pie as a starter to share, yummy! Chef's bread with nanna's secret - what a delight. I had the fish, cooked to perfection and oh so delicious. Hubby had a pork, he loves it. Thank you so much, we were very fortunate to be looked after German (sorry if the spelling is incorrect) An attentive,kind and very delightful young professional staff of this restaurant. I was looking for a restaurant when I found this gem by chance. The waiters were very friendly and able to give good advice on the dishes. The food was simply perfect. Not too big of a portion but very tasty and well combined. We were served an appetizer free of charge as well. I would definitively recommend a visit. A reservation would be good beforehand.

Wonderful restaurant, amazing food combinations. The house made bread is excellent, fluffy and a bit like a marble cake. Team is very helpful explaning each menu item. Certainly one of the best experiences here.

Was a fantastic and authentically Estonian meal. I ordered the chef’s choice fish and the three chess appetizer and both were delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant and the quality of the food both exceeded expectations. Moreover the price was manageable given the overall excellence of the restaurant.

We went to the restaurant for lunch, the service was great and the waiter was very helpful. We tried the elk and the lamb and both were amazing, well cooked with nicely cooked vegetables and sauce. Their bread with molasses is amazing as well. We would like to thank our waiter and kitchen staff for modifying the dishes to meet our dietary restriction, will definitely go back for more

Exceptional restaurant in Tallinn! I got lucky as a walk in- where they were otherwise booked. So take note- make a reso. I’m so grateful I got in! I had the crayfish tartar with the Apple cocktail. Then, the steak with a cabernet sauvignon. Finished with the chocolate cake and mint tea. Everything was wonderful The room is beautiful and cozy. Service was on point and personable. This is a favorite now.

Excellent burger restaurant; I highly recommend a visit! We had a Pulled Beef Burger and the Burning Hell with sweet potato fries and lime mayo to share. Both burgers were awesome: tasty meat, excellent sauce and crispy cole slaw/ onions. The spicy one was spicy but you could still taste all the flavours. The lime mayo was perfect. Mayo with a distinct but not overpoweting lime taste. Service was attentive, friendly and helpful. Prices are fair. In short: great place to go for exceptional burgers.

Its not worth the hype. And not worth the money. Maybe ”used to be good?” Its very expensive, only the burger 15-20 euro WITHOUT FRIES. Fries 6-9 euro. Jalopenos (which were not good) 10 euros. We ordered a classic burger, a truffle burger, and garlic fries. 🍽️ The burgers were good — juicy and held together well. The only issue was with the tomatoes — in one of the burgers, they were icy cold and mushy, which slightly spoiled the overall impression of the dish. Also, the doneness didn’t match the one we asked for. The garlic fries were decent. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of garlic — both roasted and fresh — though it was a bit too much for balance. The fries themselves were also a little over-dried. 🤝🏼 The service was definitely not restaurant-level. We were greeted by a friendly waiter who showed us to our table and handed us the menus. The drinks and food arrived quickly (we were the only guests at that moment). However, the cutlery came in a box that also contained already used (dirty) utensils. After the food was served, the waiter never checked on us again, and we had to go downstairs to the entrance to pay. It was nice that they asked about the preferred meat doneness (even though it wasn’t followed correctly this time). No one offered any sauce to go with the dry fries. When we sat upstairs, no one turned on the lights, so we were sitting in semi-darkness. 🛋️ The interior is pleasant and fits the concept of the place. The first floor combines loft and rustic styles with an open kitchen. However, the second floor still needs some work — a couple of houseplants as decoration are not enough. The restroom was clean and tidy but also a bit dull design-wise. 💰 In terms of price-to-quality ratio, everything was great — the burgers are among the best we’ve tried. The portion of fries for one person is huge — definitely enough for two. 🌟 The restaurant’s uniqueness is somewhat debatable since there are plenty of burger places around, but the combination of flavors and freshness in their burgers is definitely a plus. ❕I’d recommend this place to burger lovers, but it’s not the kind of spot you’d travel across Tallinn just to visit.❕

August 14, 2025, I visited Estonian Burger Factory, located at Lootsi tn 10, 10151 Tallinn. The place has an excellent reputation for its burgers. I went for the “Burning Hell” burger, clearly marked as spicy. Ordering and delivery of both the beer and the burger worked perfectly. And the burger? Yep – that’s how it’s done! Cooked just right and as spicy as I was hoping for. I’d say this is a strong candidate for the best and most reliable quality burger in Tallinn. On the downside, getting the bill was a problem. It took far too long. When you ask for the check, it usually means you’re ready to leave – not to wait another 20 minutes. All in all: I’ll definitely be coming back!

The bar/ restaurant is a 10 minute walk from the south side of the Old Town. It's fairly dark inside but it adds a certain charm to the ambience. The food menu is small and fairly simple but executed well. The pulled pork over mash was really nice and the schnitzel was huge! The service was fairly attentive and they have a good alcohol selection.

I ate potato peels for the first time! It's really interesting, from now on I'll ask my mother-in-law not to throw them away, but to prepare them with beer! There is a risk, you might think that I've become stingy or have financial problems? Try it yourself!

It is a pub somewhat far from the center, well decorated and cozy, but a little dark for my taste, especially if you plan to eat there. It has a good variety of beers at the same price as any bar downtown. We ordered the Estonian tapas and we felt like they had fooled us, they took out a ridiculous amount that didn't even look like the photos from other customers. Judge for yourselves.

The food is avarege the service is a bit below average, its very dark, so not suitable for eating in case you come at night. The food looks good, but the taste is simply average, the selection is good. The service is slow as it is in whole Estonia, basically they turned off all the lighta around us in 40 minutes before closing time, made us feel the whole night very unwelcome. The shots are not chilled - sambuca, and 2 other shota were warm. We were there on a saturday night.

Service was slow. Food is really poor for this price: burger ingredients are really simple and untasty - mayo, few tomato slice, “Estoanian” cheese slice, a bit of lettuce and what’s the worst is that burger bun was over fried in huge amount of oil. The only positive sides are atmosphere and beer selection, though over priced.

Great tavern outside of the city center where to have some traditional food. A bit overpriced but definitely worth it because of the amazing taste and vibe. Very good place to chill with a great atmosphere.

Amazing time at the Lendav Taldrik with Mari-Liis. Dishes were delicious (chicken salad 10.50€ more or less and a cheese naan 8€ and it was huge!) and she was really professional, always there for you. I was thinking to stop just for a fast lunch but I stayed for 5 hours! Best place with nice music.

Great food, nice ambience and very friendly waiters (especially Prince but the lady at 2nd time was also great). Yes, I came back a second time to eat the extraordinary fried rice with chicken again - yummi! But all my friends would recommend the tasty dishes with a lil Indian twist and the great quality. There is definitely a cook who knows his business. Fair prices.

The food was really tasty, the waitress was friendly and welcoming and the interior is 10/10!

Vegan power! Several vegan options, dal soup was really good. Service was okay, all the food (starter soups and mains) was brought at the same time which was okay but a bit surprising also. One boy was making a lot of noise, blowing to his whistle and the parents allowed him to do so. It was a hugely annoying but luckily it didn’t last more than 10 minutes or so. I would change the background music to something more ambient and not so loud. It would enhance the overall experience a lot.

We enjoyed a few hours strolling through the Creative District with up eat sounds of music from venues, cafes, eateries, and exhibits. The street art including wall murals and 3D displays show the works of many native and local artists. The Photograpy Museum offers a great museum with relaxing coffee shop, gift shops with ingenious photo gifts. The central area offers an outdoor free exhibit of framed modern works. We enjoyed a wine and end-of-day 50% off sale on some gluten free options, including a chocolate gluten free cake. Enjoy strolling, snacking. and appreciating art. Accessible venue.

A cool place, very instagramable. Parking is close and cheap. Plenty of little shops to walk around once you've seen the art outside. Great coffee and bakerys inside too.

Nice place to see creative and colourful murals. You can walk around There are free parks available for kids as well. There is a photography museum also near by.

Everyone kept telling me go here so I walked there from the old town. Pleasant spacious area with street art and lots of al fresco eating and drinking options.

If you are a graffiti fan this is worth a visit, I was there really early in the morning so not sure how any cafes/bars/businesses are.

An assortment of small shops where vendors and artisans sell various crafts, clothing, and products. Worth visiting; a reasonable walking distance from Old Town.

Food was good, service was okay at Salt. Loved the Asian flavours, Thai curry mussels packed a lot of flavour and they were generous with the broth. Okonmyaki was fluffy, saucey and well made.

We are a group of 9 people, our friends were late but the staffs were very patient to wait for us. The food is sweet but delicious overall. The restaurant space is small but cozy.

This restaurant always delivers. Aside from innovative recipes, beautiful plating and perfectly executed dishes, i really appreciate that SALT constantly updates and modifies their menu based on seasonal ingredients and the freshest produce available. The vibe and buzzing atmosphere of the restaurant is unique. However, the space is limited so booking in advance is recommended and many visitors might find the restaurant ‘cramped’. The service is attentive and friendly and helpful with navigating the menu. My favourite dishes were ✨tartare ✨octopus 🐙 ✨duck dumplings 🦆 The octopus was cooked to perfection, however slightly too salty for me. Overall we had a great dining experience and I’m looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.

We had a nice dinner at the restaurant. The inside was full so had to sit outside but luckily the weather was good. We liked the experimental, daring menu. Dishes were executed well, tasted as beautiful as they were presented. However, we felt that they lack certain highlight or a signature that made any of the dishes stand out. We liked the foods as they are, but not sure if they made us curious and satisfied enough to come back. We hope that being creative or innovative is accompanied by making simply heartful, wholesome foods.

The outdoor area was beautiful. This cafe/restaurant works for everyone - families, those who want to take cute photos, and those who want a cute date spot. Everything about this restaurant was excellent, just be careful about your drink orders. The group I went with gave them a 7/10. The food was beautifully prepared and tasted wonderful. The pastries were fresh and smelled incredible. There is also a small store area in the back to pick up a snack. I totally recommend if in the area.

This place has been phenomenal every time! Consistent, clean, great service, and tasty food. Honestly been one of my favorite casual places in Tallinn. The market is always stocked full of fresh, clean ingredients, with a wide variety of everything you really need and more. All Eco/Organic. 10/10 recommend trying anything here don’t skip on the market.

NOP is an extremely contradictory place. I’ve visited several times, and each time I leave slightly confused—but smiling. The atmosphere in the courtyard is absolutely lovely—nostalgic and hip, with a laid-back energy that somehow reminds me of northern Thailand, particularly the places around Chiang Mai where we’ve spent many winters. I know it sounds unlikely, but the vibe is strikingly similar—a casual charm with a creative edge. The food is good—not groundbreaking, but fresh, healthy, and flavourful, clearly built on high-quality ingredients. It never disappoints in taste, even if it doesn’t aim to surprise. But then there’s the service, which is where the confusion kicks in. There are plenty of staff, yet somehow they often seem to avoid actually serving. They’ll polish glassware, chat among themselves, or stand around—but not approach the tables. It’s odd. And yet—on our last visit, we had the pleasure of being served by a young man with dark hair and striking brown eyes, and he was absolutely excellent. Attentive, communicative, present—the kind of service that truly elevates an experience. I wish I remembered his name, though I suspect he’s just here for the summer. So yes, NOP is a mystery—but one I’ll likely keep returning to.

Very cozy place featuring a lot of high quality food and dishes. One of the best places to go out for brunch in Tallinn. Plenty of Gluten Free options. Prices are also very reasonable.

This place is in beautiful building, old style mansion next to park. Food was 10+ and service to go with it. Price and quality level up. Well recommended.

We had our lunch here, super nice. The duck was so tender; the beef tenderloin was well matched with crispy potato cake; and the fries with truffle sauce was really delicious. The vibe was super nice, with excellent view (especially if one manages to sit next to the windows).

One of the best dining experiences we had during our 5 weeks travel. Staff were amazing since we walked in. She was friendly and very efficient. We came across the venue after a museum visit nearby. We were lucky able to walks in. Food was excellent. The starter popcorn prawns especially the sauce was fresh and tasty. My duck was tender with a creamy truffle potato mash and berry juice. I loved the potato. No wonder they received a Michelin which is well deserved. Overall we enjoyed our dining here and a nice way to celebrate my birthday. Thank you! ☺️

We’ve been occasional visitors of this restaurant for years. In the past, it consistently offered premium food at a reasonable price—higher than average, but worth it—paired with top-notch quality every time. Unfortunately, recently, it’s become hit or miss. The restaurant still has a wonderful atmosphere and exceptional service, but the consistency in the kitchen has declined. During our latest visit, everything was excellent except for the duck, which was overcooked. However, the prawns and everything else on the duck plate were still delicious. In my opinion, given the recent inconsistency, it’s no longer worth the price.

Ate lunch after visiting the nearby art museum. Sat outside in the lovely garden. Our server was delightful and attentive. All of our dishes were outstanding, but the popcorn coated prawns were uniquely delicious!!! We had a magical experience. Thank you!

Great restaurant, more of a fine dining, but we managed to share food within 4 adults and one 2 year old. Octopus, quail and goat cheese salad where the best. Great lunch during a visit to Kadriorg Park and the museum. Highly recommended. Has free parking and accepts contacless payments.

All starters were eggcellent! More exquisite than excellent - so needed to prolong the first version 😊 Mains were tasty also, but did not blow the mind as the starters did. Also the wine list is extensive and there are beautiful pearls within affordable range. Greetings to the chefs, we'll be back! 🤖

I had a wonderful time. Service is top notch and lots of locals were eating there. I liked the cauliflower but the flounder wasn’t my thing. The Estonia sparkling wine was great! (They had this fish on mussels before and I hope they’ll bring it back.)

Wonderful local restaurant with daily changing menu & great wine selection. They even feature Estonian wine. Service was friendly & accommodating for English speakers. We really enjoyed some delicious wine on the comfy patio with some fun, fresh & creative shareable starters.

While the service was excellent and the restaurant was beautiful, the food was just average, but the seafood was particularly disappointing. The scallops were overcooked and rubbery, the tuna in sesame sauce had so much tough connective tissue that it wouldn't even be appropriate even if they were to finely chop it into tartare. We had to nibble around the gristle to get some actual tuna meat.F(No wonder they covered the tuna with endive!) Finally, the 1/3 of the clams and mussels in the seafood pasta were shut (inedible) - the chef is supposed to throw out the bivalves that didn't open prior to serving the dish. We also ordered the sirloin, the halibut, and the burrata salad. The only dish I would say we truly enjoyed was the burrata.

No market anymore, this place is D3 now. An venue for artists and events of any kind. Really cool layout with bar and VIP are in the middle with stage on one and chilling area on the other side.

A huge collection of small shops by the locals. You can find variety of products from antiques to modern day clothes. Not very crowded even during weekends but very popular among the locals and tourists from Finland and Sweden. This place is located right next to the railway station (the other side of old town) and right after the container shops.

Huge modern, clean, fascinating building that seems to have a perfect balance of everything and plenty to do 😍 Traditional antique stores jam-packed with so much history it feels like walking in museums ; well-organised vintage clothing stores, I bought some bargain clothing from Basaar; lovely market stalls displaying brightly-coloured fresh fruits, meats and many other groceries ; food stands offering all kinds of options, from local to foreign flavours etc. Thought I'd just drop by for a quick look, ended up spending 3 happy hours on a Sunday afternoon, definitely visit!!! 😚

The place itself is beautiful stylish and modern without feeling cold, perfect for a special night out. But the real stars are the food and the team. The food? Absolutely incredible. We went for the tasting menu, and every single course was a delight. Creative, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavour using super fresh, local ingredients. Honestly, some of the best plates I've had in a long time. Standout dishes for sure. Service matched the food perfectly. The staff were knowledgeable, genuinely passionate about the menu, attentive without being overbearing, and just made the whole experience feel effortless and welcoming. They really elevated the evening. No weak points. If you're in Tallinn and want an amazing dining experience – great atmosphere, exceptional food, and top-notch service – R14 is absolutely the place. For sure one of the best places for food in Tallinn. The service was excellent and the atmosphere very nice. As far as the food is concerned the entries were good, I wasn't impressed at first, but the main dishes and the sides that followed were incredible. The octopus was melting in the mouth, the sauce of the chicken was mind blowing and I still can't understand how someone can make cauliflower taste so delicious 😋

R14 was a memorable visit. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. Our waiter—with pink-purple hair—was a masterclass in hospitality: warm, attentive, and answering every question with finesse. A true professional. We came on a friend’s recommendation, and for once everything they promised was spot on. The wine list was the standout—refreshingly different for Estonia, with more complex, wine-lover options at fair, sensible prices. Proper stemware, lovely lighting, comfortable furniture—the atmosphere tied it all together, and no wonder the place was packed. Food was mixed. Highlights: the beef tataki was really nice (we genuinely enjoyed it), the prawns were cooked perfectly, and the tiramisu was lovely. Misses: the cauliflower was overcooked, pasta…, the steak ordered medium-rare arrived rare, the corn-fed chicken was dry, and many flavors were buried under a spicy tomato sauce. And yet, I didn’t mind. The service was superb, the room welcoming, and the wines were excellent. I loved the experience and will definitely return the next time I’m in Estonia. Verdict: • Wine lovers: VISIT • If great service matters: VISIT • If food is your top priority: RISKY—but the highlights and the rest of the experience carried the night. Rating: ★★★★☆ — the only reason it’s not five stars is the food (some dishes shone, others missed).

Had a wonderful meal at R14. The octopus was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. I also treated myself to their tiramisu for takeaway, and it was absolutely delicious. Beyond the food, the restaurant has a lovely, cozy atmosphere that made for a very enjoyable visit. Will definitely be back!

Lee Restoran is located in Tallinn’s Old Town, just a few minutes' walk from the Town Hall Square. The restaurant’s courtyard terrace is truly enchanting, offering a serene and beautiful setting. Inside, the dining room is tastefully decorated, with a striking red sofa lining the wall and drawing the eye across the space. The dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, though they stopped just short of perfection. That said, the sauces were outstanding and deserve special mention. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout the visit. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

We visited this place on a Tuesday night and had such a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely excellent, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the staff welcoming and friendly. A special thanks to Catherine –she was really attentive and nice, and made the evening even more memorable. It was truly the perfect spot for a birthday dinner!

First of all, the service was terrible. The waitress made our dinner uncomfortable — almost the entire time, she didn’t understand what we wanted or trying to order. The atmosphere was tense and unfriendly. Main courses took 40 minutes to arrive. The food was mediocre and definitely not worth the money. Nothing outstanding about this place. We left almost 150 euros and just felt confused.

Beautiful experience. We loved the interior and exterior of the restaurant. The staff was very professional and kind. We started with bread and delicious butter and salt. We searched about this restaurant at the last minute for our dinner in Tallinn. Turned out this restaurant served the best duck ever I have eaten. The atmosphere was cosy. They have the open kitchen where you could see how chefs prepare your meals. The price is reasonable. As I mentioned, the duck is the plate of the house, highly recommended. However, the service was off for us. She was serving us with cold face and not enthusiastic mood.

This was on the recommended list of Backroads cycling trip. It was Sunday night and very quiet with only a few tables there were 7 of us, ordering a variety of dishes, and there were lots of complements and no complaints.

Its creamy consistency suggested a deliberate balance, but in the process the delicate dandelion syrup was sadly lost. What made the experience even more impressive: everything was prepared gluten-free, without compromise in texture, flavor, or presentation. The open view into the kitchen added another layer of delight – watching the calm precision of the team at work gave a glimpse into the craft behind the plates. Service was friendly and attentive, though less formal than what fine dining often demands in other countries. This may simply reflect Estonia’s more relaxed style of hospitality, but it’s worth noting for those expecting a highly polished service experience. Tips were collected via QR code, with the assurance that part of it goes to the kitchen – something I sincerely hope is indeed the case, as the team behind these dishes fully deserves it. If there was one small atmospheric detail missing, it would be cloth napkins to fully match the sophistication of the cuisine. Beyond that, Farm offers a dining experience of rare caliber – balanced, confident, rooted in local flavors, and unforgettable.

A rainy afternoon in Tallinn, found this place to have a hot drink and Cake. A very quirky place and in terms of atmosphere 100% - the interior is great. Its not table service - you have to go to the counter to order, which is fine, but be aware steep sleeps to go there & very tight on space, however, the staff do offer to bring the food / drinks to your table. The cakes are a decent size and very tasty, you perhaps could share. Drinks are average but good choice of teas. Definitely one to visit to savour the atmosphere.

I found this cafe by happenstance while wandering in Tallinn. It’s amazing in its uniqueness and charm. To find a French coffee shop filled with antiques, furniture and decor from France in Estonia was a pleasure. I enjoyed its cakes and coffee as a welcome break from wandering about the Old City. Also, its staff were pleasant and helpful in selecting refreshments.

After a rainy, cold evening walking around the old town, we found this cozy spot and we were not disappointed. Tasty hot chocolate 10/10 would recommend.

I believe it's the most picturesque cafe, chocolaterie if you prefer, in Tallin. Hidden in a small street with plenty of other nice interesting shops, the space inside is relatively limited, but so picturesque. The service is good even though you have to order at the entrance at the cashier and the waitresses, and they help you to transfer everything you ordered at your table, if needed. Best hot chocolate I had in Tallin, the cake with limoncello was really tasty.

I love the classic life and this place made me so happy and relaxed. Everything was great, the atmosphere, the food and the coffee. The stuff was friendly as well. I really enjoyed my time there.

Very nice brunch and coffee place in the old town, but the service is really problematic. There is no table service outside and people need to wait in long queues to order a coffee or something to eat. The food was really tasty and not expensive. Also served quite fast and with normal portions. Also the waiters are really slow and one of them even a bit rude, especially when I asked her to get the empty dishes that were sitting on the table for 20 minutes.

Great location at the entrance to the old town from Viru, this beautiful coffee & bakery offers also breakfasts. We opted for the pastries. A rhubarb crumble and a blueberry tartine. Accompanied by good quality coffee was just what we needed for a late lunch snack. Delicious food and friendly staff. And fantastic interior design!

This place is absolutely lovely. Great music, delicious food and an excellent staff. I've come here twice and both times the prices were increduly reasonable and the service was quick and pleasant. I definitely recommend stopping here for a coffee, pastry or breakfast and their eggs are delicious.

Great little coffee shop in Old Town Tallinn. It's in a more touristy area of town, so I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of quality. However, the coffee was excellent. I also got the ham and cheese bread which was delicious. Definitely recommended!

I really miss the rabbit burger from the me u! It was one special thing that you couldn’t find from anywhere in Tallinn. The cottage pie (sõrnik) is still in the menu and thats great! Also, the place is very dogfriendly and has good service! Please put the rabbit burger back to menu! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Nice atmosphere, though the basement floor lacks fresh air. The cocoa is good, and the hot wine—made with real red wine, cinnamon, and orange—is flavorful and not overly sweet. Tasty food but a couple of improvements needed. Had the Estonian cheese in breadcrumbs to start. My companions had the prawns in chilli/garlic sauce. Both dishes were very tasty. For the main course I went for the stuffed pork. It was very tasty but the price was just for that dish with no accompaniments. I ordered a side of baked potatoes with garlic for €4. 4 slices/wedges of potatoes came out which was very poor value for money. A jug of water for the table was €4 also! Staff were mostly nice when they were engaging with us, but could have been a bit more attentive... no cutlery when food served, no bread to the table etc Really tasty food in a nice setting, but need to work on their "sides" & attentiveness

A nice quiet cellar restaurant. Rustic vibe, stained glass windows with monks and beer. The food was amazing, we particularly enjoyed the garlic-cream mussels and chicken stuffed with smoked Estonian cheese and roast veggies. Great beer /wine selection. Highly to take a load off after walking around Tallinn all day.

I don't often leave reviews, but for this place I just had to. It was excellent. As a starter I had a Seljanka beef soup, which was fantastic. As the main course I had the duck in red wine sauce, with a side of French fries. The fries were a bit salty, but that's just my personal preference, and no negative towards the overall dish. The red wine sauce was an excellent thing to dip the fries in. As the dessert, by recommendation of the waitress, I had the baked banana with vanilla sauce and ice cream. Which again was excellent. The staff was friendly, the decor was fantastic looking, and the background music was not loud. Overall an excellent experience, definitely worth your money.

Eating lunch at Munga Kelder. Seems more like a dinner spot because of the hazy medieval cellar vibe. Nothing bad to say, representation with the dishes was neat, great value with the large pork roast being 15€. To me, fries could’ve been a bit bigger, for you have to order them separately as a side dish. That, and a bit more sauerkraut would’ve granted the food 5 stars😁 But overall great traditional food and atmosphere!

Might be one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. The breading was insane 🤯 All the ingredients tasted fresh and clean. Beer was great, dumplings and sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Staff was nice and helpful in English. Atmosphere was nice and chill. So much to do in the local area as well. A must visit area if you’re anywhere in Tallinn.

Food was awesome, staff was very accommodating of allergies and even had a menu in English in addition to Estonian. Have an oat allergy so couldn’t have the gluten free bread but staff suggested an absolutely delicious duck dish and cheesecake for dessert instead that I could safely eat. Was the best tasting duck I had this decade.

Gluteen Free! I will tell you once again. Free of Gluteen! I came here to celebrate a birthday and suddenly felt as if I had entered a vintage, relaxed 5D star-style restaurant. The vibes were fantastic. Perhaps it was the trivia night, or maybe it was the delicious food combined with an atmosphere filled with references to famous Estonian personalities, but everything was wonderful. This is a great restaurant in Telliskivi. The atmosphere is vibrant and there are cool pieces of art on the walls. The service is very good! The food tasted very well as well, only thing to note out is that the seabass that I had as the main was a bit dull in taste. It was a pleasant dining experience!

This was our favorite meal in Tallinn! My husband and I went for our two year wedding anniversary. The service was welcoming and high quality. I later learned that our server Hayley owned and operated the place with her husband. The food was brilliant! The sea-bass was incredibly fresh and prepared to perfection. We also ordered the Tournedos Beef and the Pear Cake. The beef was and the sauce was divine. One of my faves was the pear cake, the recipe of her mother-in-law. It was made with love and comfort. I also appreciated their wine selection and opted for a great natural white. It was deliciously layered and unique. I’ll also say that I really appreciated the welcome feeling of the physical space and of the staff. Rare in fine dining. Great location too, right by the Fotografiska Museum. Well priced. I wanted to eat every meal here.

A jewel. French food tastes good here. Fish was perfectly done. Gewürztraminer grand cru was nice, dessert (fondant) was awesome. I had a small issue with the dessert and the charming waitress got it resolved in no time. Perfect place! Will visit again when in town next time.

Very cool bistro with nice staff, but with very ordinary and bland dishes. Dishes looks great but tasted very bland. Everything was under seasoned and nothing was exciting. Compared with the price, which was on the high side, the quality didn't match. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The ambience was very nice too.

It was our lunch. Interiors and atmosphere are typical for this area (Telliskivi). Big windows, high ceiling - a lot of air in the small place. Food: we tried chicken fillet, duck fillet, Tartare, vegan lemon cake and pear cake. Longest delivery time had chicken fillet - but the size was also surprisingly good. Duck had ca 150g sliced breast (tasty), puree was very thin and not much on the plate. Overall - duck was not as a main course, but more looks starter (from the size point of view). Lemon cake is served with raspberry sorbet - both are sour and not complement each other. To sum up : if you are not very hungry, then the place is good. The presentation of the food on the plate is beautiful - it pleases the eye.

Frenchy Bistro is an excellent restaurant. We really enjoyed it. The food is great as is the service and the general atmosphere. It is a 20 minute walk (if you walk slowly) from the Old Town and about 5 minutes from the train station. Enjoy!

This place is amazing. Restaurant is located underground vaults. Really lovely atmosphere. Service was really, really good. We were greeted and looked after entire time of our meal. We ordered deer fillet and scallops for starters, ravioli and venison for mains and plum and bonbon dessert. Food presentation is fantastic.

I honestly don’t understand where the good reviews come from. At best the food was average often below and it doesn’t meet the expectations set by the price. Service was disappointing as well; even simple things like refilling water glasses didn’t happen. If you’re looking for value for money, choose somewhere else. Dessert was okay. 👍🏻

We had a drop in dinner on a Saturday night. When you walk into the restaurant, it has quite a special atmosphere as it sits in the basement with vaulted ceiling, a fire place and stone walls. The menu is not extensive and there is a focus on local produce and meat. The wine list is not bad and we ordered an Italian Aglianico . My roe deer tataki starter was great with beautiful meat, rich sauce and topped with foie gras. The service was not quite on par and I personally think that she was pouring too much wine into the glass to start with. The bread and butter we got was also delicious. My main was venison served with mushroom and this was also good but maybe not as outstanding as the starter. If you are looking for a romantic dinner in a special setting, this is absolutely a restaurant that you should consider.

I came on the late end of lunch without a reservation. Hotel AND restaurant staff were gracious and accommodating. Enjoyed fare that was original and unique to Estonia.

Really disappointed - our experience doesn’t reflect the good reviews. Our waiter was somewhat rude, rushing us to leave, to get more wine, to get more water, to order starters we didn’t want because “it will be small” (it wasn’t don’t be afraid to share) and in general, if the dinner comes at 70€ per person and the place is empty, we don’t want to be feeling that we are occupying the room and we are judged. Food just ok - nothing extraordinary. The ambience was very pleasant.

The place was really lovely and clean, with comfortable facilities. The food was absolutely delicious. My partner had white fish, which tasted heavenly, and I ordered the marbled beef, which was also incredibly tasty and perfectly cooked. Our child had a burger from the menu and really enjoyed it too, the flavors were spot on. The only small downside was that the food took quite a while to arrive, but the delicious taste and polite staff quickly made us forget about it.

Originally i came to try a starter and a main from the menu, but i happened to arrive whilst lunch was still being served. So i went with the burger of the day..It was properly cooked, the patty was a precise medium. I've been trying to find out what was in the burger since i didn't fancy the flavours too much, but i still can't find any info about the ingredients! The fries weren't very good, the dip fell in to the same category. Burger + fries were cheap though(8e) and the wine wasn't pricy neither(9e). Service was really nice and fast! The restaurant was looking clean, cozy and had a cool vibe! I hope to come and try the dinner menu too, it sounds delicious!

Quite underwhelming. For such a fancy restaurant with even a Michelin recommendation, I had high hopes. While the plating of the food was excellent, the flavor was rather mediocre, and I would've had to pay extra for sides, which I didn't order. The lamb also didn't taste like lamb at all, which was a let down. Also the dessert portion was literally one spoonful of sorbet for 6€. The apple-hibiscus mocktail as good tho.

This restaurant is modern and was surprisingly quiet on a Saturday night. My steak tartare was very good and it was not just pure meat and I also enjoyed the cheese topping. The marble steak was also very good and grilled to perfection and I loved te beets as a side dish. I was a bit disappointed by the wine selection as it seemed to contain mainly "safe bets" and there was no mentioning of vintage for the various wines. All in all , a good meal but maybe the menu and wine is a bit "boring" as there is a lot of focus on just meat. But all in all, we enjoyed the dinner here and you can never really go wrong with meat - well, as long as you have good quality and they prepare it right!

Overpriced place for me. Atmosphere was ok, service was ok, but nothing too good to visit again. For a ~100€ bill, nothing was balanced. The soup was a negative surprise, very salty and with a questionable taste. Please try it with your team, it is so specific and really not tasty at all.

Excellent food with options for vegans and meat or fish eaters. As a person with egg allergy this combination was great as it gave me many great choices from their menu.But even better was the quality of the food we ordered. And the cocktails were fabulous too. Really great place, highly recommended.

We had a lovely experience at Ülo. We had the snack platter which was slightly adjusted for allergens and it was absolutely amazing! A mix of comfort food and fine dining in one dish! The mains were also superb, perfectly cooked chicken and Mediterranean-style whole fish with a great sauce! The waitress was super friendly, helpful and attentive 👌 We’ll definitely eat here again!

We stopped in Estonia for two nights, and Ülo Restaurant was absolutely amazing. Everything was excellent—from the food to the service—and honestly, I was surprised it wasn’t more expensive. It’s truly worth it, I loved every bit of the experience!

This was my best meal in Tallinn this time and a pure gastronomic experience. Mostly plant-based sharing menu with bold, exciting and unexpected flavours. Padron peppers with crushed macadamia nut and balsamic vinegar ponzu sauce and goat chesse cream with caramelized figs, walnut vinaigrette and chicory salad are to die for (both in the photo). Another notable mention is the spicy cauliflower wings with celery and herb mayo. However, the undisputed star of the show for me was the olive oil ice cream with miso foam and caramelized bread, topped with flaky sea salt. Sweet, salty and perfectly umami - this complex and bold dessert leaves you wanting more. This was 10/10!

We had 2 starters per person and we shared them. My friend had alcoholic cocktail and I had Virgin Maarika non-alcoholic cocktail which I really enjoyed. I did not fancy anything from main menu so two starters was enough for me. Waited was super friendly, efficient and very artistic. You would have to book a table if you want to have a seat at the dinner time as it can get busy. Food was delicious. I had sweet potatoes and also some hummus.

Amazing food, superb depth of flavour in every dish we had. Favourites were The Zander, The pasta and the wild garlic hummus. Cocktails and mocktails were delish. Great vibes with smiling staff, shout out to Heli for lovely service. ☀️

I’ve ordered several times through the app and each time it was quick, well-packaged, and thoughtful. The food is really delicious. I don’t know if you make the mayonnaise yourselves, but it’s amazing and as for the “True Blue” burger: an absolute delight! If you visit Tallinn, make sure to stop by. You won’t regret it. Aitäh!

What a great place. The atmosphere to eat inside a tram was great. The guy worked there was friendly and spoke good English. I ordered a classic burger and sweet potato fries and it was delicious. Fries came in a big pack and burger was tasty as well. The onions and pickles were a bit too strong, but besides that - AMAZING. The burger sauce and meat was fantastic. Would recommend!

Nice and unique place to have a burger. Prices were not too high compared to the portions. Very friendly staff and a fast chef in the kitchen 🤌 tried the grim reaper burger with habanero and it was just nice. Something funky in the baconjam, maybe vanilla? Overall good and dandy.

We arrived a little after 8PM on a Tuesday, the kitchen was closing but they were nice enough to squeeze us in for a meal. The crispy chicken sandwich was extremely good, as were the prawns for a snack/appetizer. Really great selection of beer and our waitress was very hospitable. Will definitely return next time we're in Tallinn!

What a great eating experience. The service was excellent and the food just delicious. I especially enjoyed the craft beer. Away from all the tourist restaurants in town, this was filled with locals.

Had the Anchor Bar Chicken Wings. Supposedly the same as Buffalo NY. They were excellent. Blue Cheese mid. Onion rings delicious Summer IPA was good as well as the Hell Hunt Cider

Pleasant. Airy. Friendly. Humalakoda pub also delivers on excellent service and pretty good beer. As an incorrigible hophead, I found the IPA side of the spectrum a bit thin compared to the bigger IPAs you'd find on the North American north West coast. That said, they offer a reasonably wide variety of craft beers. Seated at the bar, we chatted up the bartender and got a selection that suited our preferences. The most memorable aspect was however the food. The garlic bread is out of this world. It's Estonian rye bread cut into squat, broad strips for easy dipping in the yogurt and chives dip. Following the recommendation from previous reviewers, I opted for the Cheesesteak and I do not regret it. Cooked just right and served with a semi-spicy chili mayo, it was the perfect partner to my imposing Steenbrugge Blonde. Well worth a visit to get a taste of the Tallinn gastropub scene.

First and only place in Estonia asked for TIPS, usual tourist trap anyway with rude/no service, etc, so just avoid. What you see on picture is 40EUR. For 2 burgers and a beer

My good friend came to the city and we decided to have there some food and couple of beers. Since i have been there before many times, i know its a good place for that. They have a decent menu for food and lots of different beers, included theyre own brewery. Theres big sitting area inside and a nice terrace outside. This time i had a cheesesteak with fries. I did mention that i cant eat onion but it still came with onions and i instantly told the staff. The girl was really sorry and went to the kitchen to fix it. Ofc they made me the new one and it was really good and worth waiting. Things happen but important thing is how do they fix it. Its a really nice place in Balti Jaam, go and have a good time there.

Very friendly service staff! Food is quite good. Quality vs price is a little questionable for me (but I am sure there are many people for whom it is perfectly matching). Location is very good. Close to the train station and the city center. You can easily get there by public transport, by car and on foot. Atmosphere is good to. It is spacey place, where you are not necessarily sitting next to your table neighbors. I like the terrace.

Went with the shrimp and pork buns with Parmesan fries, but was left a bit underwhelmed. Maybe my expectations were a bit high, but these were a bit bland and could of used a shot or two of umami. On the other hand, the fries were really nice with ample doses of Parmesan cheese.

Among the options inside the market the bao was the most appealing to me. The bao itself was good, not superb though. We ordered two fillings and the spiciest one was the best. The order took a bit longer than expected and the price is fair. Try to find a table as soon as you get there, as the place can get packed and you might need to eat standing.

Lovelly little place inside renovated old market hall. I had BBQ pulled pork and my wife had Vegan Portobello. Both were very delicious and generous in portions.

Amazing place to buy some baos and take a market round. Fantastic bao dough. The bbk pork is good. Great to share for 2. French fries so (maybe too much) crunchy. Cesar salad with amazing spicy crunchy chiken is a really good option.

Baos are tasty, but they are rather small for their price in my opinion. It's good as a snack before heading on a train, but if you need something more fulfilling as a proper meal then there are many better options nearby. Service was very friendly, I have no idea why other reviewers have said otherwise.

It was a pretty good ice cream! I met them first in the supermarket, their blueberry-cardamom flavour was a unbelievable, and they also serve quite a big selection here. It's creamy, little too airy for my taste but tastes natural. I tried the white chocolate (which was black) and tasted more like poppy seed, but the lemon curd was spot on. Place is quite big, service is kind, prices are starting from €3 and €2/ additional scoops.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the ice cream here! You could taste the freshness in all their scoops! Tried their peanut butter, banana chocolate & strawberry curd. Im not a sweet tooth so trust me when i say the flavours are super refreshing and extremely flavourful. Not just sweet like other ice creams. Ugh, i miss it already. Price is very decent, very worthwhile!

Excellent little ice cream shop with a great variety of flavors. They have the large waffle cones that can hold many scoops, which is excellent! I got the cappuccino and condensed milk flavors and they were excellent!

I tried 2 flavours in a cup Cherry and Rum & Raisin. I think the Cherry lacked some creaminess and acidity I would have expected. Despite these two things I found it quite refreshing, because it wasn't as sweet as many other ice creams I have tried. The Rum & Raisin delivered as I expected. Very solid. Nice atmosphere and good service. Price wasn't too bad either.

la muu is located in a trendy/hip part of tallinn. it is near many modern restaurants, so it is a perfect treat after dinner or lunch (which is what we chose to do). right next to la muu is a lot of outdoor seating, ping pong tables, playgrounds for children etc. which make it a nice area to hang out in the sun and enjoy your ice cream. we came around 7pm so unfortunately the flavors were quite limited. i wish i could have tried the more unique flavors, but the ice cream we chose was still very good. price is 3 euros for a single scoop (cup or standard cone) or 4 euros for 2 scoops. scoops were on the smaller side. // coffee // we really liked the coffee ice cream! the coffee flavor was strong which we prefer to overly milky/less strong coffee. it was also not too sweet. // dark chocolate // also really good! truly a dark chocolate which was rich and tasty. not too sweet. i would come back for the coffee, as well as maybe earlier in the day to try more flavors :,)
