Restaurant
Located in downtown Joshua Tree near the park entrance, Crossroads Cafe is a modern diner offering creative twists on classic dishes. The menu features a variety of grilled and toasted sandwiches, including options for vegans. Whether you're a meat eater or vegan, there's something for everyone here. The breakfast menu is extensive and available until 1:30 p.m., with fantastic food and coffee that shouldn't be missed.
We ate 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners here. We had amazing and friendly staff the entire time. We never had to wait for more than 10 minutes for a table. Breakfast was our favorite meal and it was phenomenal. I can't say enough good things.

First time visiting. Went on a Friday morning at 11am & it was a 25minutes wait time for 2 seats. They have a good app to let you know when a seat is available after you’ve checked in. After we ordered, our food came out on time & the San Diego beer on tap was very delicious. Overall a cozy experience. I recommend especially for first time guests.

Very relaxing and rustic spot! We stopped by for breakfast and we were happy to find a spot! This place is hopping! Our breakfast was good and hardy, everything you want to have before exploring the Joshua tree park. Thank you for a great breakfast and an excellent service! Did I mention the banana bread??? You must try!
Jana H — Google review
Had lunch here and everything was super tasty! I got the tuna melt with Caesar salad – fresh and flavorful. Also tried the chicken quesadilla and it was cheesy and satisfying. The vibe was nice and service was friendly. Wish I could come back more often, but it’s a bit too far for me. Still, totally worth the stop if you’re in the area!
Kiwi M — Google review
Wow, just wow. We stumbled in from a long day of offroading and were not expecting just how amazing the food is at Crossroads Cafe. The sandwich bread was soft and fresh, the Mac and cheese was to die for. All 5 of us loved the food so much we told them we would be back in the morning for breakfast as well. Every single item we ordered was delicious
Osuna F — Google review
Ordered quesadillas and country breakfast with biscuits and gravy. Quesadillas was fresh and yummy. Potatoes were delicious. I was skeptical but side order of Banana bread was surprisingly good. Definitely worth ordering. House made lemonade was nice too
JY H — Google review
Stopped here before heading out to the desert. Food was fantastic and the waitresses were great. The fruit cup was super fresh and they cooked our eggs perfectly. Definitely would stop here again if in the area.
Katie B — Google review
The food was excellent — definitely a solid 5 stars. The sandwiches were really good, and the service was nice. The place looks great overall and has a good vibe. I’d say it’s a great spot to stop by in Joshua Tree.

The Joshua Tree Saloon is a quirky joint with an Old West vibe that serves up a menu of burgers, steaks, seafood, and sandwiches. It's a popular spot in the area known for its cheerful atmosphere and diverse food options. Located near the beloved Joshua Tree National Park, this roadside diner founded in 2015 offers visitors a chance to refuel after exploring the park's dusty trails and geological oddities.
This is a really cool looking saloon it felt really western and I loved the way it was decorated! The food was great our server attentive and the drinks were not bad. We got the sampler and we enjoyed it because it was enough for me and my girlfriend. They had a live band outside playing too. Would come back to eat here again
Kevin M — Google review
Atmosphere is very cool! A lot of decor and vibe def worth to take a look! Many seats even a large outdoor seating too Many people even in weekday night but no line A lot of server and all helpful and friendly Ribs is better than i though Salad big and cute And gotta said area like this have a nice restaurant open til 11pm is the best!

Every time I head up into the high desert, stopping at the Joshua Tree Saloon is non-negotiable. From the moment you walk in the door you get that relaxed desert-town vibe mixed with reliably good food and drinks. I love that I can pull up outside the park at 61835 29 Palms Hwy and know I’m going to get something solid. The burger list alone is worth the stop — their half-pound patties with names like the Ghost Pepper Burger (bacon, ghost pepper cheese, chili verde sauce) and the Saloon Original Patty Melt (Swiss cheese, grilled onions, Russian dressing on sourdough) are the kind of indulgences you’ve earned after hiking or driving all day. On the lighter side the grilled portobello burger and black bean quesadilla show they haven’t forgotten the non-meat folk. They’ve got 14 beers on draft and are “home of our famous homemade Bloody Mary mix” which sets the tone right for any desert afternoon or evening. The cocktail list doesn’t disappoint either: things like the Mexican Mule, JT Dark & Stormy, Cactus Cadillac — fun, strong, and desert-appropriate. The staff always greet you with a smile, the folks playing pool or relaxing outside on the patio make it feel like a local spot not just a tourist stop, and the mix of indoor bar and outdoor seating means you’ve got options whether you’re coming in for a late drink or dinner after a long hike. Heads up though: when the place gets crowded the food wait can stretch out — I’ve had to kill time with a draft and some people watching while waiting for the burgers to land. But for me, that’s part of the charm: you’re in the desert, you’ve earned the pause. Five stars all the way.
Paul M — Google review
Had a really great experience at the joshua tree saloon. The exterior and interior design of the saloon were fantastic and made you feel like you were in a real saloon. The food was well above average. The fries were cooked to perfection and the burger was juicy and really well made. The meat was cooked medium-medium rare. The prices were also very acceptable with the exception of the sodas which were slightly more expensive. The only negative thing that I can say is that we had to wait quite a time for our food. Not extraordinarily long but for american standards still longer than other chains. But if you are there you probably have a lot of time and it is a nice break. I would definitely recommend coming here.
Marc M — Google review
Went with my family for dinner and we all had a great experience. Hostess was great and got us seated immediately and our waitress was straight over to offer drinks as soon as we were seated. Food was very tasty all around. Biggest surprise was the price which I thought was very reasonable.
Niall C — Google review
Nice place to hang out great selection of food and amazingly good service. It was pretty crowded on a Friday afternoon. The seating area inside and out dogs are allowed outside. I had the steak salad, which was really good, especially with the assortment of greens. And yes, they have non-alcoholic beer Heineken.
Taufiq H — Google review
So close to Camp Sunburst a super amazing Dog Friendly AirBnB, the National Park entrance, and the downtown JT area. I had the bison burger with skinny fries. It was absolutely the most amazing burger I’ve had in a long time. My friend had the steak salad. It was huge definitely something we could’ve shared, but I didn’t want the help your option. The service is great. The weight is sometimes a little longer than usualbut the quality of food makes it all worth it.
Michelle C — Google review
So, parking is available in the lot, but the signs confused a few of us enough to park on the street. The maze we had to get through, to get into this place was ridiculous-especially with older patrons and the extreme heat, wind, and dust. Once we made it in, it's cute. We all had drinks, and ordered a few appetizers. The guacamole and chips were good. The salsa tasted like it came out of a jar of Old El Paso. Just saying... It did. Our group took a picture with Elvis, and we had a nice time there. I would like to say that a member of our group was REALLY disappointed that she wasn't able to buy a white baseball hat, because they were out (she did ask to buy the one up for representation, but was denied-BOO!).

Pizza restaurant
Restaurant
Sams Indian Food & Pizza is a beloved local spot in Joshua Tree, CA, offering a mix of classic Indian dishes and traditional pizza. Established around 20 years ago, this straightforward restaurant has garnered a loyal following. While the traditional Indian fare remains popular, their unique offerings like Indian-style pizza and pasta dishes add an interesting twist to the menu.
If you are in Joshua Tree NP then in the evening you should try their food. Best Indian food after a long time. The special was Pizza which was having so much flavour of India. A whole different experiment with cuisine and it tastes amazing. Must try! People were so friendly here too. 😊
Debasish R — Google review
I have to be honest. The service was great. The place is a little run-down but it feels cozy. I'm a huge Indian food lover and eat this stuff a lot. Unfortunately, this restaurant was in my humble opinion not the greatest trading food. The chicken was tough, to the point where I almost did not eat it. I have driven by this restaurant a lot in the last 6 months and was glad to finally dry it but the food tasted good but bland or completely off flavor. I will huge or another try here in the next few days hope it was just a bad night.
Andy B — Google review
I had lunch here it was excellent! The service was attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. The food was authentic, full of flavor, and truly satisfying. Definitely a great spot to stop by after a day in the park!
Mahesh R — Google review
We have been curious about this Indian restaurant in Joshua Tree, California, for a long time, and this evening, we decided to give it a try since we were in the area. When we arrived, the restaurant was full, which is usually a good sign. We did have to wait for a table to open up, but it didn't take too long. The restaurant itself was not big, but there were numerous tables. It was nicely decorated, but I will admit that it was a little dark. It was a bit cold in Joshua Tree, and the restaurant itself was cold. We had a pleasant experience, but there were a few issues. The food was delicious and definitely flavorful. The dishes had a different flavor from other Indian restaurants that we had dined at. You can smell the aroma outside of the restaurant. The butter chicken that I had tonight had a different flavor profile than I had before. This was probably one of the best that I've had, but the chicken itself was a bit dry. The Chana Masala was also a bit different it which it had a smoky flavor. The vegetable samosas were delicious and cooked nicely. The garlic Naan was one of the best that I've had. The service was fine. Unfortunately, we had a couple of issues. The staff members were all friendly and helpful. The first issue was that we had to remind the staff members about our Chai Tea. We didn't get that immediately, but we did get halfway through our meal. The second issue was not getting the second appetizer we ordered. That was the Samosa Chat. Now, the third and final, initially, we wanted to order some Mango Lassi, but we were informed that they ran out. Now I did find it funny that a customer walked up to the front and asked about a Mango Lassi. A few minutes later, one came out for him. That wasn't a big deal. Yes, I do watch everything that goes on in a restaurant we dine at. Overall, it was a nice dinner, and the food was delicious. The service needs to be worked on, but hey, at least they were friendly and helpful.
Mullen T — Google review
Good Indian food! The staff was attentive and service is fast. A good variety of fares to choose from.
Marcus N — Google review
We had samosa chaat without yogurt, coconut korma curry (vegan) comes with rice, and veggie pizza without cheese (I asked for pineapple and cilantro instead of extra cheese). They do have coconut milk and modify dishes which is a plus. The samosa chaat was a big portion, the curry was not that big. Mini pizza for $9.50 was a good sized but the veggie pizza I ordered had taste of ghee… make sure to ask no ghee Service was slow despite not many people inside, only one girl taking orders from diners, serving food, taking orders to go, packing pickup/delivery orders, felt like they were short staffed. Very clean and maintained place with dimmed lighting, minimalistic yet modern design, and overall good food. They do have beers, desserts, and other drinks.
Galina C — Google review
Super flavorful! Happy to find they don’t skimp out on the spices like some places in LA do. They messed up on my order at first but they were crazy quick to fix it. Glad to know there’s a good Indian restaurant in the high desert.
Sarah L — Google review
This place is one of our favorite places to eat! The Indian food is phenomenal. The chef is incredibly talented, and the Naan was perfect!! It takes a little bit of time to get the food, but if you think about the complexity of how hard it is to make Indian food, patience is a virtue. Have grace and you'll be happy you came.

American restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
JT Country Kitchen is a popular informal restaurant in Joshua Tree, CA, known for its cozy atmosphere and classic American breakfast and lunch options. The menu features wraps, sandwiches, avocado quinoa burger, fresh juices, smoothies, and homemade daily desserts with organic, vegan, and gluten-free choices such as cheesecake, muffins, brownies, and cookies. Located near a popular tourist area in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood.
Decent food at reasonable prices. Very friendly service. I really enjoyed my sausage gravy and biscuits. The biscuit was decently moist by itself, combined with the gravy, it was delicious. Blueberry pancake had plenty of fresh fruit in it and the banana pancake was very good as well. My overeasy eggs were perfectly done. Sandwiches are okay, but not special.
Henry S — Google review
This is HANDS DOWN, one of the BEST breakfast diners I’ve ever experienced - the food was AMAZING. The French toast with cinnamon swirl is to DIE for with black coffee, and their steak and eggs are cooked to perfection alongside their freshly squeezed orange juice. Their service is very warm, welcoming and consistent. Kudos to the entire staff and our compliments to the chef(s)! We will ALWAYS make sure to stop by when in the area. Restrooms are clean, food is delicious and the ambiance is great - they even have outdoor seating too.
Anna Q — Google review
Enjoyed a delicious brunch here on a Saturday morning. They have a shaded waiting area with water and you can order drinks while you wait for a table. So pleased to have a couple of vegan options, which can be quite rare in a diner. The Vegan special with soyrizo was delicious, and so were the mimosas with fresh OJ. The staff were friendly and offered great suggestions for our meal. My partner got the pancakes and said they were fluffy and delicious. A great spot!
Emma W — Google review
I don't think I have seen do much food before. The service was awesome. The food was delicious. The pancakes were literally the size of a dinner plate. It was worth the drive and the price. Its a very small place, but worth the wait.
Tony B — Google review
The food at this diner was solid—classic comfort dishes done right. I really enjoyed the breakfast burrito and the chicken/potatoes, both were flavorful and satisfying. However, the wait time for the food was extra long, which was a bit frustrating. Great spot if you’re not in a rush!!
Angelina C — Google review
Nice little place on 29 Palms Hwy for breakfast. Patio is covered and shaded. Very friendly and comfortable. Country fried steak and eggs were excellent with the hashbrowns being crispy the way I like them. The sausage gravy may be the tastiest I’ve had. The orange juice is fresh squeezed!
James J — Google review
Their specials are out of this world- delicious!! It’s a must to stop here if you’re from out of town or a local. The staff were very nice and our server Camille was very attentive. We will definitely be coming back.
Missey — Google review
If you are in Joshua Tree, heading back home, or having a day of exploring, this is a place to start with a hardy breakfast. It's located right downtown, so it's easy to find. I had an Ortega Chile omelet and was very pleased. I needed a takeaway bag. I suggest you go early, around 10:30 a.m. when the line starts forming. Then parking will be an issue.

Deli
Located on Park Blvd, Roadrunner Grab+Go offers a variety of freshly made sandwiches, burritos, salads, snacks, coffee and drinks for those looking for a quick and satisfying meal without the wait. Whether you're in a hurry or just want to grab something deliciously curated while in the Joshua Tree area, this spot is perfect for breakfast or lunch options. The cafe provides quick grab-and-go options including hummus wraps and tasty mocha lattes.
Delicious grab and go options and also made to order options. We did the grab and go thing so that we could get on the trail quick. The line was not long and it moved quick. This place is conveniently located right next to the Joshua Cherry visitor center so you can do all the things in one stop get directions use the bathroom and get the supplies you need for your hike. I do wish they had better water options. They only had mineral or spring water in liter glass bottles..
Heather A — Google review
Nice little grab and go spot. I think calling it a 'deli' would be a bit far. Yes, there are sandwiches and hot burritos, but they're pre-made. It's more of an airport take-out style situation, but that said, the selection is great and designed to fuel hikers. So, you'll find nuts and cheese other hiking foods. And good for vegetarians. Good selection of ice cream, too!
Stacey T — Google review
It got my attention when I was coming back from Joshua Tree Park so I decided to stop and see what’s inside. It’s a cute cafe with prepped meals, cold brew, snacks, drinks, ice cream, fruit. I ended up trying nitro coffee with oat milk, and I bought the savory Bear Bar. When I see organic and vegan, I can’t help it 🤷🏼‍♀️
Agnieszka P — Google review
Super convenient location. Bought my parks pass at the visitor center then headed directly next door to Roadrunner to pick up lunch to pack in to the park. Very impressed by vegetarian options (multiple sandwiches available). Happy that everything was super quick to grab and go - already wrapped up, no waiting, easy to read signage and prices. Sandwich tasted great and the bread held up even to the moisture of the dressing on the sandwich, and sitting in the car for hours.
Mara M — Google review
Super convenient grab and go place that sells all sorts of locally sourced items. Parking is the same lot as the Joshua Tree visitor’s center. Restrooms are outside. They carry snacks, coffee, tshirts, drinks, Gatorade, and kombucha. On the pricier side of things, but if you have the cash, worth the try.
Rebecca R — Google review
Don't expect much from a grab and go store. Food are all fresh. Is it the best sandwich? No. Does it fill you up? Yes. You can also grab other snacks. The food is a little pricey. The meat to bread is good.
Steven B — Google review
They are so sweet in there and make yummy home cooked meals with seasonal menu offerings. Gluten free and vegan options available! A great place to come before heading to JT National Park or a road trip anywhere!
Ellie P — Google review
We found this place by accident after looking in the Joshua Tree NP Visitor Center. We wanted sandwiches to take into the park and we were not disappointed. Not being mayo fans they made us 2 beef sandwiches without mayo. They were absolutely delicious. You will not find a better sandwich to go anywhere. The service was friendly and atmosphere lovely. Thank you for the sandwiches…we enjoyed them very much!

The DEZ fine food is a small, all-day eatery that opened in late 2020, offering excellent post-hike refueling options in the downtown area. The takeaway-only counter-service space features a large daily-changing menu catering to various dietary restrictions. Visitors can enjoy fresh-made sandwiches like the vegan chickpea wrap or choose from grab-and-go options to savor at their leisure.
Such a cute spot to grab your coffee in the morning. You can tell that it is a popular spot among the locals and it is worth the visit to try some local coffee! Great pastry’s as well! The staff is very attentive and welcoming, great service!! Such a good spot and worth a visit!!
Troy K — Google review
During our one-night camping trip at Jumbo Rocks in Joshua Tree National Park, we decided to skip packing all our cooking supplies. A quick Yelp search for sandwich spots with good reviews led us straight to Dez Fine Food, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation! They have two convenient locations, just a few doors apart. One specializes in warm sandwiches, which is perfect if that's what you're in the mood for, and it's also where you'll find the restroom. We tried the Desert Dirt Smoothie, a Tuna Melt, and for my boyfriend, the Pastrami and Swiss. Every item was delicious and truly hit the spot. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We were thoroughly impressed and will definitely be returning!
Karen G — Google review
Glad to have found this place while in Joshua Tree as I didn’t want the typical burger/homestyle offerings. The counter staff was helpful in making my selection and brought it to my table on an ironware plate with metal flatware. I highly recommend the Lentil/Hummus pita! The ingredients were fresh and plentiful with great flavor. The staff were pleasant and suggested other areas to visit during my stay in CA. The coffee was strong but not bitter and the cookie was just the right size with lots of chocolate chips.
A G — Google review
Rating based on date shake. Overall seems like a fine little market, but the date shake was badly made and overpriced especially for the execution. Dates were not mixed well with the ice cream and it was overall too thin of a consistency. It was difficult to drink with a straw because the chunks of dates were so large they clogged up the straw. We’ve had much better! We were disappointed as date shakes are more difficult to find where we are from and we were looking forward to a nice treat.
Joia F — Google review
Do not order vegan food here. They do not actually check. They are rude, slow, and defensive over mistakes they make. They don’t understand the gravity of serving a person real meat when they don’t eat it and were super dismissive. “Mistakes happen,” but maybe that one shouldn’t as it isn’t that hard to read a label. Reading is part of working at a restaurant. Here’s a great business tip: do not serve vegan food. We don’t like places like yours and don’t care to have you include us especially if you’re going to make careless mistakes like that one. It was especially hilarious that you mentioned this doesn’t happen often, well it did to us and now we are going to tell every vegan we know in town that used to recommend this place to not. Again, just make your menu full of dead animals and don’t include us at all. Thanks!
Chloe C — Google review
food quality varies here but ranking this 4 stars solely for the date shake. spinach and feta quiche: pastry wasn’t flaky at all, filling was dry and lacked flavor. hard skip berry bliss (w/ coconut milk): tart and pretty tasty but would remove apple juice next time for creamy drink date shake: top tier and seriously craveable, especially during the summer heat
Andrea S — Google review
Absolutely one of the nicest experiences I had at Joshua Tree. The lady said she really appreciated how politely I asked. I told her my name was Jeff, and she put me down as 'King Jeff'. And although I can't prove it, I feel like these sandwiches we bought were made with extra love. So yeah. I recommend this place. ✌️
Oscar M — Google review
AMAZING! Love the food here and the people are great as well. Stopped in for lunch and I must say it’s very tasty! The Turkey bacon wrap is the best I’ve ever had! The albacore tuna on sourdough is so bomb! This place is a must stop and enjoy!!!

Live music venue
Pappy + Harriet's is a renowned barbecue joint and music venue located in Pioneertown, just a short drive from Joshua Tree. The rustic Western decor adds to the classic American dining experience, offering BBQ, burgers, and Tex Mex dishes. It has hosted performances by famous artists like Paul McCartney and Vampire Weekend. Families are welcome with a kids' menu available.
This is something special. I’m reviewing it as a restaurant but not really, more of a whole vibe. I drive from Vegas to LA all the time, but this one takes a slightly different route, much more barren and desolate. Large portions of the drive completely devoid of cell service. I thought “hey at least when I get to my destination I will have service”. The joke was on me as when arriving at pioneer town I realized, still no cell service. The town was truly set up to be an old western town. It was dusty and slightly rainy to set the mood even further. I instantly felt like I was in the wrong place but I said hey, may as well eat here since I had lots of time to kill. I just went simple, a cocktail and a burger, and my goodness it was one of the juiciest flavorful burgers I’ve had In a long time, i also know they were smoking their own bbq all night and wished I could have tried that as well. This place is worth the drive just for the atmosphere and food. Already a 5/5 But that’s not all. This is a concert venue, the headliner “The Sword”, in a tiny bar where they just pushed the tables to the side. Mind you it’s pitch black surrounding the town, this tiny restaurant bar is packed, Sweaty and blaring rock music until midnight. It just had a feeling I haven’t felt for years. Just that tiny raw club you started frequenting when you were younger, far from The over produced arena shows I seem to be at now days. Even the small shows have A six foot barricade separating you from the stage. This show had people being thrown onto the stage and I had a full beer poured on me at one point. I can’t remember the last time I felt such controlled chaos at a show. Driving home was even more terrifying as it was pitch black, my ears still ringing. Barely seeing any other cars on the road for miles, occasionally a fox or a mouse lighting up my high beams. It did not feel like Vegas or LA, Just a surreal otherworldly location, and I question why I travel so far for concerts at times , but arriving home I have to say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a concert in years. 6/5 stars. Why are my burger reviews so long?

Pappy & Harriet’s is a famous restaurant/bar/music venue in Pioneertown just up the road from Joshua Tree. It’s aesthetic is western saloon meets the high desert, and the decor and atmosphere are down-to-earth and make you feel like you’re in a Texas BBQ spot or an old school bar from the Old West. While this spot does have very cool concerts from time to time—including secret shows by Paul McCartney, Modest Mouse, Stars, and more—the food, for me, leaves something to be desired. It’s really just so-so in terms of BBQ, sandwiches, burgers. The salads for me are the standout items. It’s not that the quality isn’t decent, it’s just not elevated or prepared well-enough to justify the fairly steep price tag. It also sometimes gets so busy here they have 2-4 hour wait times, though often you can get in with no wait at all. All-in-all, it’s a cool spot to visit at least once, but it’s not really anything to shout about in the long run.

Pappy & Harriet’s is such a fun spot! The BBQ is absolutely delicious—smoky, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Inside, the vibe is super cool—rustic, warm, and full of character. Definitely a place worth checking out whether you’re stopping for a meal or just soaking in the atmosphere.

I love Pappy & Harriet’s! I bring all my friends here when they come visit the desert. Great barbecue options from ribs to tri-tip to bison burgers! Cool vibe & great venue for an outdoor show. I’ve seen several concerts here over the years, and it’s always a special experience.

This place is such a vibe! Didn't expect this in the middle of desert nowhere; definitely a metaphorical oasis! Came here initially to see LA Lom and had such a great time. We got there early so we got a front row seat, and had some very delicious ribs while waiting. It has a campground nearby, so make a overnight trip out of your drive. Will def come back to see more shows under the stars 🌟

We went on a Sat evening so it was busy, and loud. Could hardly hear each other. Ordered the family platter to try a bit of everything. The chicken was dry and not much flavor. One server for the entire section. It took an hr from sitting down to the food arriving on the table. So expect a wait on a busy day. There was live music, but it was too loud to hear anything.

This BBQ is something I crave year round. On my last visit I didn’t get anything but two BBQ sandwiches. No sides, nothing. Saving all the room for BBQ. I’m a pretty small woman so the waiter looked at me kind of strange but I ate it all! I don’t enjoy burnt ends, I just want the tasty BBQ and Pappy & Harriet’s delivers every time. I’ve also had the ribs before which were amazing but I can’t not get the BBQ now. I’ve been probably 5 times and it’s a staple for me when visiting JT.

Joshua Tree Coffee Company is a must-visit spot for coffee lovers in the desert. While their beans are available in markets across Southern California, nothing beats the experience of sipping on their locally roasted coffee at the original location. Tucked away down an alley, it's a perfect place to unwind and recover from a night out. Be prepared for some wait time, but don't miss out on trying their nitro cold brew - it's worth it!
Nice coffee shop in Joshua tree I got a really good oat milk latte here for six dollars for the large size. There is a nice seating area in the back under the trees. Great service.

Had the pleasure of coming here with the recommendation of my lovely boyfriend. Always up for an adventure especially when it comes to trying new coffee spots, we had two cold brew lattes with oat and simple syrups. They have this delicious chocolate chip vegan cookie and you wouldn’t know the difference if it wasn’t on the label. Great place to stop by around 8am before the crowds pick up. Not many parking spots available unless you go around the establishment. Service was attentive, definitely need a minute to check the menu beforehand.

Joshua Tree Coffee is a gem in the heart of the desert, offering some of the freshest, most flavorful coffee. If you are a coffee enthusiast this is the spot for you, whether it’s hot or iced. What sets this roastery apart is its commitment to organic, small-batch roasting and a deep respect for sustainability and community. It’s coffee that’s not only ethically sourced but also bursting with rich, complex flavor. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their craft. If you're visiting the Joshua Tree area, the café is worth a stop, just minutes from the national park. Just a bit sadden no cookies were available when I went.

Stopped for a cup of coffee after we left Joshua tree national park on our way to the coast. This shop is so cute!! The smell of the coffee roasting when you walk in was the absolute best!! I got an iced caramel coffee. The coffee is so smooth, the caramel not overpowering, just perfectly balanced! We will definitely stop back anytime we're in this area.

I stopped in around 11- plenty of parking out front and short line inside moved quickly. They were out of kombucha, but the iced coffee was delish. Two options for non dairy milk, and there were gluten free cookies as well. Small back patio with shady spots to sip.

I was traveling and visited Joshua Tree National Park when I stumbled upon this coffee shop. I decided to give their coffee a try and was incredibly impressed! The aroma was delightful, and the flavor from their excellent roasting was outstanding. I have to say, this is truly a hidden gem in the middle of the desert!

First time visiting Joshua Tree Coffee Company. Was going to the dry lake with my son. He suggested we get coffee here. Nice coffee shop with merchandise for sale, as well as coffee. Place was fairly busy on a Sunday mid morning. Ordered a hot mocha. Even though they were busy, I only waited about 5 mins to get my order. Had time to use the restroom, which is located out on the back patio area. That's where all the seating is too. Coffee was great! They also roast their coffee on site. Later in the day we returned and I got a cold brew. That was very good. Definitely recommend. Decent price for a very good coffee.

Great location! During my recent weeks long stay in JT this was a staple. The line can either be wrapped around the corner or quick walk-in and order. Pleasant, swift service. Coffee was pretty good both cold & hot; even bought a specialty blend bean to take home. Roasted in-house with bags of several blends available for purchase along with other merch. Outdoor seating on the rear patio.

Thai restaurant
Royal Siam Cuisine Thai Restaurant is a convenient option located in a strip-mall, offering a diverse menu featuring traditional Thai dishes such as noodle-stir fries and Chinese favorites like chow mein. Customers can expect an authentic culinary experience characterized by great taste and quality. Despite having limited staff, the service is commendable, with one person managing the front of house and another handling the kitchen. The restaurant's popularity is evident through its bustling atmosphere during peak hours.
I’ve tried larb at several different thai places over the years, and the larb at Royal Siam is stellar! I asked for it to be spicy, and with extra dressing (because I like it saucy), and it didn’t disappoint! It was one of the best larbs my husband and I have had, by far. What an delicious meal out here in Joshua Tree. 10 out of 10!

I was craving for some asian foods with aroma and this place took care of it for now. It's surprisingly nice to have a restaurant in the high desert that serves foods with great flavor. The Shrimp Tom Yum was really good (with only 4 shrimps in it) and you need to order rice separately. The server, Krittika, was friendly and my order came out in good time (there was one other occupied table when I arrived). Based on Krittika's suggestion, I will seek out Thai Cafe (YV) to try their phở.

We were craving for some Thai food and landed up here. We ordered Cheese wonton, kung Pao veggies with rice and crab fried rice. The portion size was good and food was okay and so was the service!
Shruti D — Google review
I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but it should have been a little better than what I paid for... husband and I ordered some dumplings that honestly tasted like they were pulled from the freezer with freezer burn, the shrimp tempura and egg rolls were ..ehh okay... the chicken pad thai noodles seemed overcooked, with watered down spices, the red curry beef tasted like a brown coconut soup.. over all nothing was fresh or tasted fresh, the dishes tasted like they were prepared days before and then preheated, and if I hadn't checked the receipt, we would have been charge for something we didn't order.. maybe we didn't order the "right stuff" or something... but it's safe to say we won't be returning. 😥

We were asked to go and pour our own water from the pitcher into Styrofoam cups. My sister has MS so I did it, but why? Everything is served with plastic utensils and disposable containers for dining in. I was asked if I wanted rice with my curry, yes. They charge extra for rice. The curry was oil based with a small amount floating at the bottom of a small disposable tray. My sister's pork veggie stir fry had no spice or flavor. This was the worst Thai food experience I've ever experienced.

I’m posting this on 7/28 and this restaurant is closed due to some kind of sidewalk construction- so if they aren’t answering their phone don’t make the drive out. I’ve been trying to eat here again every time I come to town over the past 8 years but either I get here after they close, or they aren’t open. I ate here in 2017 and it was the best Thai food I’ve ever had and I hope to eat it again someday! Help!

Your Pie Pizza is a popular pizzeria chain where customers can customize their own pizzas by choosing the dough, sauce, cheese, and toppings. The restaurant prides itself on using hand-tossed dough and fresh ingredients to create delicious pizzas. In addition to traditional options, they also offer vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and keto-friendly choices. Customers can enjoy craft beers and gelato while creating their personalized pizzas.
Stopped after visiting the Joshua Tree National Park for late lunch. Trying for the first time and they are like subway. You can choose the base, cheese, all the toppings and they are all in front of you. They make the pizza in front of you. Oh my God, lot of cheese and then cheese, yummy though. In a few minutes, piping hot pizza is ready. So delicious. They have all sorts of drinks too. They have a nice dining area. Restrooms were clean. Plenty of parking space. Overall, a great experience.

Sky High Pie is a popular sourdough pizza shop located just outside the main entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. It offers a mix of classic American diner and desert-themed atmosphere, making it a great midday dining option after exploring the park.
We’re Dining with The Davids, and on a recent trip to Joshua Tree, we stopped into Sky High Pie—and wow, are we glad we did. This place takes pizza seriously. Everything is made from scratch, including the dough and the San Marzano tomato sauce that brings their red-sauce pizzas to life. We tried the Double Pepperoni—their most popular—and it lived up to the hype with that perfect crisp-meets-chew crust and a bold, authentic flavor. If you’re into white sauce pies, do not miss the Sky High. It’s loaded with thick-cut bacon, mushrooms, Kalamata olives, Gorgonzola crumbles, mozzarella, and a touch of arugula for freshness. It’s rich, savory, and beautifully balanced. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, and we were genuinely impressed with the passion of the staff, who clearly take pride in their craft. They even bake their pastries in-house, starting at 3 a.m.—and you can taste the difference. If you find yourself in Joshua Tree and you’re craving top-notch pizza with real attention to detail, Sky High Pie is absolutely worth the stop.

6 out of 5 stars. Absolutely recommend. Go there now. Their pesto is 🤌🏻 amazing. Our first visit there we ordered the pesto gnocchi and the margarita pizza. Today we order their caprese salad and the chicken pesto pizza. Not sure how we’re going to top that but we will definitely be trying more. Fresh toppings and a great staff. This is really a worthy stop especially because a lot of other places in Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms are mid (most places seem to know there’s not a lot of competition and just don’t work that hard to impress) Sky High Pie could hold competition in a larger city and would truly hold their own. Hands down our new post hike lunch spot. Like I said, go there now.

We had regular pizza, a gluten-free pizza, Greek salad, and tiramisu. My husband raved about the crust on the regular pizza. I enjoyed the gluten-free crust, but wish the flavors were a little more pronounced. The Greek salad was amazing and my family raved about the tiramisu. Great vibe. Friendly staff.

Sky High Pie in Joshua Tree is a must-visit for pizza lovers, offering creative pies. Located just minutes from the national park, with cozy indoor and outdoor seating. The crust is perfectly crisp, toppings are high-quality, and they offer gluten-free and vegan options with strong attention to dietary safety. Service is friendly and attentive, my toddler was getting fussy the staff went out of her way to bring crackers and ice for her. Soft serve 🍦 both chocolate and vanilla is a must, rich and creamy. Takeout is also available if you’d prefer to enjoy your meal with a view.

NY boy approved! Wow, the Smokey sauce, the crunchy yet chewy crust, and ricotta in the desert? Nough said, fam! The beer selection was ace as well! 10/10 ❤️👍🏼 The kids got to make their own pizzas, it was a real hit! Pepperoni and olives for life 😎
Nick P — Google review
Sky High Pie is hands-down one of the best gems in town! The pizzas are incredible—flavorful, perfectly baked, and always fresh. I’m also obsessed with their meatballs and beef skewers, which are packed with flavor. And don’t even get me started on dessert… the triple berry scones are heavenly, and the soft serve is honestly my favorite treat. Everything here is handmade, and you can taste the love and care in every bite. What makes this place extra special is the service. Chris is amazing—attentive, sweet, and always friendly. He listens, brings the food right to me with napkins and utensils ready, and makes every visit feel personal and welcoming. It’s rare to find customer service like that, and it really makes Sky High Pie stand out. I’m a local, and honestly, I don’t frequent many restaurants around here—but this spot is the exception. I come back at least once a week, and it never disappoints. If you’re in town, do yourself a favor and stop by. Sky High Pie is a Joshua Tree treasure!

When you find yourself in Joshua Tree, California, a visit to Boo's Organic Oven is an absolute must. From savory hand pies to the beloved Grandma T’s old-fashioned molasses cookies, there’s something for everyone—especially those seeking vegan and gluten-free options.
A great place to go for baked goods! We got a peach pie (maybe a bit early in the season), a blueberry pie (absolutely delicious), and a steak and ale pie. Everyone who worked there was delightful. I don't recommend the tea or coffee - I'd go elsewhere for that, but a great place to eat and get treats.

First time visiting. Went on a Sunday morning around 8am. When we got there it was not busy. There was one person ahead of us but the service was a bit slow. Took about 6minutes for the cashier to take out orders. We had their hot tea, hot chocolate, prickly pear cupcake and vegetable pie. All were good. I was really craving velvet cake but they didn’t have any. This is more of a pie bakery than anything. I may return to see if they have velvety cupcakes. The place is very clean and the cashier was very friendly. I just wished they had velvet anything lol. I will return & I recommend.

The best bakery in the Morongo Basin by far! We stopped in and ended up going back to the counter to get more to take home. If these guys served sandwiches on their fantastic bread, they would be the best sandwich shop in town and I would update this review to a 5 star!

Super basic, and pricey for the quality. $20 for a cranberry peca loaf, a basic handpie and 2 coffees. Nothing special here. Not all the bread is sourdough based, just run of the mill commercial yeast so save yourself the frustration and a grocery store will likely have better pastry honestly. They also are not super interested in your satisfaction either.

Cute restaurant with decent outdoor and small indoor seating area. Food was good, small wait time for food and long wait time to order but usually worth it. They do have cocktails and other drink options. The cocktails were cool but not really worth it, not strong at all. Good portions are fair for the price. Very picturesque all around, good vibes and great attitude and atmosphere from everyone

Came here a bit ago on a trip to Joshua Tree with some friends. We were trying to find a cute coffee shop/cafe to go to for a pick me up and stumbled across this place. I really liked it! It’s a very cute cafe, beautiful decorated to fit the environment of Joshua Tree while bringing a modern/hip/aesthetic vibe that makes it feel like it could belong in a more urban area. The inside is simple but cute. I loved that it is a coffee bar and cocktail lounge combined. We ordered our drinks to go but it looked like they had decent seating inside and outside. The menu was decent with different syrup options for you coffee/tea choices. I ordered an iced latte with caramel and it was tasty. The staff were nice, there were lots of little keepsake items you could buy like stickers and prints, lots of wine options, full bar, and they had body products and candles. The energy was very calm and relaxed inside. I didn’t know until reading other reviews that they have a photo booth out back. Will definitely check this place again in my next trip to Joshua Tree and will have to take a pic in the booth!

Came here for the drinks and aesthetics. Aesthetics are a hit. It’s a trendy place that hosted a variety of influencer type people when we were there. It’s definitely hip. We loved the drinks there. The service was decent. They were fast and efficient. Not necessarily rude, but not super friendly either. The vibes were a little off. I originally ordered the Grilled & Stuffed Chilaquiles Breakfast Burrito. Shortly after paying, they said they ran out a replaced it with a sloppy Joe burrito that was the same price around $15. I laughed to receive something that could be eaten in 3-4 bites. It did taste good though. Iced Lavender Gin Fog: 4/5 Sunny Delight: 4.5/5 Sloppy Joe Burrito (Vegan): 3:5/5, small, pricey, but did taste good.

We were on the hunt for an “Instagrammable” brunch spot in Joshua Tree — and found the one! This café looks straight out of a desert daydream — cozy patio, perfect décor, and so much charm. We ordered iced coffee, an iced matcha latte, and breakfast burritos — all so good! The only thing we wished for was a bigger menu (a few items were sold out). Bonus points for the surprise photo booth! Every place in Joshua Tree seems to have one, and this was no exception — such a fun keepsake to take home. A total must-visit for breakfast (and photos!) when in Joshua Tree. 🌵
Sara F — Google review
The place is located on the main highway easy to find and park. The look of this place is really nice and mellow minimal and simple I liked how it was themed to like desert colors almost and just had a nice vibe to it. The drinks were amazing I think I haven’t been to a bar in a minute that really plays well with fresh flavors in their cocktails and I enjoyed every drink I had. They have nice Photo Booth outside and I think it’s the perfect addition to their place. Will come back when I stay in Joshua tree again!
Kevin M — Google review
This is the best coffee you will get in Joshua Tree (if your taste lands closer to third wave). The vibe is excellent, Photo Booth super fun, and the folks working are attentive and friendly. The downfall of the place is their hot drinks. If you’re used to a classic cap ratio, I would recommend an iced drink such as a latte (mine was great!) or one of their excellent teas! Overall would recommend if you’re staying out in Joshua Tree and are on the prowl for artisan coffee.
Pruette ! — Google review
I spotted this place on Instagram and convinced my boyfriend to check it out. On the way, we kept wondering how such a gorgeous spot (according to Instagram) could possibly be thriving in the middle of nowhere. Google Maps called it a “cocktail bar” … and we were heading there at 9 a.m. Not sure what our plan was. 😅 When we pulled in, the parking lot was packed—first surprise. Inside, the guy at the register was incredibly friendly. He recommended the breakfast burrito (which was phenomenal, especially with the white garlic sauce). I ordered an iced latte, but then he casually said, “If you’re looking for something with espresso, you won’t find better than our espresso martini.” I mean… at 9 a.m.? Scratch the latte—espresso martini it is. 😂 The food? Amazing. The cocktails? Exactly what we didn’t know we needed. Atmosphere and service? Perfect. And the merch? Couldn’t resist—a hat and t-shirt came home with me. Will 100% be back next time we’re in the area.
Alina M — Google review
Very hipster location, good for pictures if that’s your thing. They also have a cute photo booth! We had a few items including the matcha lattes, a matcha based cocktail, and a mocha. The drinks were all very solid in taste, my favorites were the matcha lattes. Did not think matcha and tequila would mix well but the cocktail was delicious! The mocha was a little more on the bitter side but it did the job. For us, the best part was the italian sandwich. We were floored by how simple yet tasty it was. It had me thinking about making the drive out there just for that. Would recommend this as a quick stop for drinks and a small bite.

The Rib Co is a family-owned barbecue joint that has been serving up delicious meat-centric dishes since 1997. The casual eatery offers a menu featuring dry-rubbed ribs, steaks, and burgers. Visitors rave about the sumptuous peach cobbler and the mouthwatering Triple Threat and house rub full racks of ribs. The warm corn muffins with honey butter are also highly recommended as a delightful accompaniment to the meal.
Loved the fried chicken and ribs, our sides were excellent as well. Cute little place to eat and great customer service!! Food was presentable and delicious! Place is kid friendly and staff was super sweet to my child.

Had a late dinner here last night (20:30). It's a busy time of year with nearby Joshua Tree, so the wait was about 1 hour. The meat is cooked out front of the small restaurant over a bed of 🔥. We had the 10oz steak and baked potato, the rib sampler plate and a ceasar salad. We also sampled the baked beans, coleslaw and the cornbread muffins with honey butter. Oh so good! A friendly staff who are in constant motion given the popularity of this family run restaurant.

Decided to try this place as take out for the first time. The ribs were absolutely FALL OFF THE BONE! Probably the most tender ribs I’ve ever had and I’ve been all over southern USA and Texas. The ribs were juicy and well seasoned. The half rack came with two sides which I got mashed potato and broccoli which were delicious but small portion, so I took off a star. The burger was huge. I’d say 8/10 since it was cooked to medium and it came with crispy thin fries. My favorite. I’d come back to try their signature dry rub ribs.
Danielle N — Google review
Got a table pretty fast and was excited for the food. Ordered onion rings($16), they were good but such a measly portion. The cornbread was pretty good with the honey butter. I ordered 3 sides ($6 each) but the portions were just disrespectfully small. The ribs that we got were insanely dry. You d expect a place named after ribs to have decent ribs. The steak was ordered medium but arrived rare, when we sent it back, they just put it back on the grill but didn’t cook it properly still. Still very pink and inconsistent. Such a disappointing experience for paying that amount of money.

I used to enjoy coming here. The food was good during the pandemic. But the last two times I've come here the service is super slow and the food has been off. Yesterday we had ribs that were obviously reheated. They tasted like old grease. The coleslaw was spoiled as if it had been sitting out in the heat. It wasn't served cold. When I mentioned it to the server I didn't get the reaction I expected. Very disappointing. We won't be back again. And just to follow up on what was written above. We got sick from the little bit that we did eat. The health department should definitely take a look at this place.

Food was great! When all the tables are taken (which almost was) it gets really noisy. Service was also great! We had the porterhouse steak and the salmon.

Been here twice now for the rib sampler. I want to try other things on the menu but the ribs here are just so good. Service has been very friendly. Minimal seating, expect a wait time Friday/ Saturday night. A little on the pricier side but besides jt saloon it’s the only bbq spot in 29. Will be coming back !

Great ribs, definitely the best I've ever had. The tasting set of 5 different ones is more than enough for two men.

2023 August: yup still yummy 😋. 2023 March: update! Still a solid 5 stars cafe. I recently tried their chai tea with espresso & the avocado burger. Oh so Delicious! 2022 October: First time visiting. I have nothing negative to say. The food was fresh & yummy. I will definitely return & I highly recommend.

The natural sisters cafe is a couple of minutes from the Joshua Park visitors center. It has parking out front. The inside is pretty small so if you are planning on eating inside you need to come at a quiet time. The seats are also pretty high so not a place you would come in to eat with kids but you could easily grab and go eat at one of the picnic spots in the park. The food is expensive at $11 for a wrap. Our breakfast came to $30 but we could have ordered more carefully and kept the price down. There are some wonderful choices, juices, smoothies, lots of breakfast eggs and wraps. The wraps are massive filled with veg and came with a side of salad. The bagel was delicious. They also have some great desserts. Plenty of vegan and food- fussy choices. We highly recommend trying the food here. It can get pretty crowded here so time your visit accordingly.
Sushila N — Google review
The veggie sandwich was delicious! My add ons were hummus and red pepper. With side of vegan potato salad. The food was delicious and my friends loved their food as well. We will be back. It was such a refreshing meal for our breakfast.

The Google reviews did not disappoint. What a quaint little family owned gem. The food was the freshest that I’ve ever had. The breakfast was packaged well and traveled well. We brought it back to our ABNB. If you’re ever here in Joshua Tree, do not pass up the Sisters.

Nice place to grab some food and drinks. Seems like it's a busy spot and not enough tables and chairs. You order inside and wait outside. They bring food to you. Black bean burger 3 out of 5 stars.
Olga I — Google review
It was crowded on a long weekend but that they good healthy food and good customer service. We got a veggie burger, chillie and curried tofu. It hit the spot and we went out day with hiking! I almost forgot the lavender lemonade....wasn't too sweet and had a nice lavender flavor to it.
Megha S — Google review
One of the best places to eat in Joshua Tree. Fresh, tasty, well prepared quality food. Coffees are great too. Friendly staff focused on getting you your orders ASAP during a big Sunday morning rush and doing it well.
Paul G — Google review
This place is great, simple easy and vegetarian food, maybe it's vegan not quite sure. But it's pretty good they close at 2:00 p.m. so get there for breakfast or lunch just stop serving breakfast at 11:00 a.m. It's great to pack up a lunch and take to Joshua tree Park.

Mexican restaurant
Las Palmas Mexican Cuisine is a delightful gem that captures the essence of authentic Mexican dining. Known for its mouthwatering enchiladas, tacos, and burritos, this restaurant also offers refreshing margaritas and tequila shots to complement your meal. After relocating from a cozy spot in Yucca Valley to a spacious new location near Grocery Outlet, Las Palmas continues to impress with its consistently excellent food.
We went with a party of 6 and were seated and served quickly. Everyone enjoyed the food and live music. We didn’t see our server much after the food came but the water glasses are huge and Margaritas were not much smaller so no one was wanting for anything. This was our second visit and I’m sure we’ll be back.

I’ve been coming to Las Palmas for years, and it never disappoints. The food’s always good, the portions are big, and the prices are fair. The staff is super friendly and on top of things. Definitely one of my go-to spots.

The tacos rocked, I tried the carne asada and the chicken! My boyfriend had the Chili Colorado Burrito and said it was amazing. Quality ingredients, seasoned well and served hot and fresh. Great spot for great food at a reasonable price. Thanks for a great meal.

Formerly they were in a very small restaurant. A friend and I accidentally discovered it in Yucca Valley. The food was excellent. My favorite was chili Relleano. So we went there each time we came up. Now I returned and discovered they had a new beautiful restaurant near Grocery Outlet. So happy to report it is the same terrific food. Definitely recommend...fabulous Mexican food.

La Copine is a chic restaurant that offers New American cuisine in a minimalist setting, located in the remote area of Flamingo Heights. The restaurant was established by a couple who settled in the desert and showcases seasonally inspired brunch and lunch plates made with farm-to-fork ingredients. The menu features diverse influences, including Southern, French, Middle Eastern, and Philadelphia cuisines.
The food here is so good we had to come two days in a row before driving home. Coming from San Francisco, we know good food. Everything was good but the shrimp and grits, and citrus and beets salad are a must try. Each staff member we encountered was kind and welcoming. What an unexpected surprise in this area. 10/10 would recommend!
Olivia V — Google review
Fantastic food! If you’re in Joshua Tree / Yucca Valley, La Copine is worth a visit. We arrived for brunch / lunch on a weekday afternoon. There’s plenty of parking provided. There was a short wait to be seated, but they have a semi-shaded sitting area and there’s also a tiny little shop to explore while waiting. Service was awesome from the seating host to our server. The decor is modern and clean. It’s a casual dining affair. My friends and I ordered whipped ricotta with figs, crispy papas, shrimp and grits, fried chicken, shrimp roll, and chocolate beignets for dessert with coffee. One of my friends wanted to order something she saw in a past review on Google Maps and they said that item was no longer offered. They change up the menu periodically, likely according to the season. Regardless, the entree flavors are fantastic. I think we could have ordered any entree and we would have been pleased. We especially enjoyed the whipped ricotta with figs—the honey drizzle had fresh ground black pepper and thyme, giving it an unexpected light zattar like flavor—really delightful! The chocolate beignets we had were likely vegan—we could tell, just FYI. La Copine is approximately 10 minutes away from the Integratron and 20 minutes from the Giant Rock. It’s the perfect stop before your visit to either site.
Pam G — Google review
This place was so good. Loved the atmosphere and food. Great for a “treat yourself” meal! On the mid-high side price wise, but my partner and I were on vacation and this was definitely the highlight meal :) would come back for sure!
Nathan P — Google review
Expect a long wait. My fiancée and I waited for over an hour in the hot desert sun. Despite that, the food made it all worth it. We had the Copine Salad, the fried chicken, and the Lavish Lavash, all of which were incredible. In retrospect I would have made a reservation but the food is to die for and the ambience is super cute as well.
Charlotte M — Google review
Absolutely loved La Copine! Unexpectedly amazing food in a quiet desert location. Everything was fresh, creative, and full of flavor. The vibe is relaxed, the staff is friendly, and the whole experience was a great surprise. Totally worth the drive and the wait.

We have been wanting to try La Copine for some time now.. all I can say is don’t wait! Do it now!! We will be back! All the food is so delicious. Beyond our expectations! And of course Claire and Nikki are fabulous!

DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE. Oh wow. Just wow. I’m writing this review whilst still sitting in the courtyard. The menu is full of so many interesting items, it makes it almost impossible to choose. Shared the tomatoes, figs and whey, and the brisket sandwich. I almost cried eating the tomato dish, and Ive just ordered another one to go for my dinner. My husband took one bite of the sandwich and said “I felt like my soul needed this”
Alika W — Google review
La Copine absolutely lives up to the hype. Every dish we tried was delicious, but the standout for us was the ceviche — so fresh, bright, and perfectly balanced. The space has a cool, desert-chic vibe and the service was warm and attentive. Cocktails were tasty but definitely on the petite side, more of a sip-and-savor situation than a full pour. Still, a must-visit when you’re in the area!

Fusion restaurant
Kitchen in the Desert is a charming cafe and bar located in Twentynine Palms, offering a unique dining experience with New American fare infused with Caribbean flavors. Founded by chef Everton Gordon in 2015, this locally owned restaurant has gained popularity for its small menu and family-style service. The venue is popular among visitors to Joshua Tree National Park and locals alike, so making a reservation in advance is recommended. With most of the seating outdoors, guests are advised to dress warmly during cooler months.
The food was amazing! My friend and I both ordered the breakfast bowls and it was one of the most flavorful, best meals of my life. My friend agreed. I don't know how they cook the coconut rice like that...every bite was so flavorful and delicious! The ambiance is also beautiful. Lots of blooming cacti and reclaimed furniture in the courtyard. Overall a really good experience - a wonderful spot to meet friends at for brunch. P.S. make sure to checkout the little book shop on the way out!

Kitchen in the Desert is a very nice spot for dinner. The food is really good, and the drinks are equally enjoyable. The overall environment is very pleasant, and we really liked the vibe of the place. Although some of the outdoor heaters weren’t working, the staff managed the situation well, ensuring we were comfortable. I would recommend making reservations before going, as it can get busy. Another plus is that there’s plenty of free roadside parking available. A great spot for a relaxed evening with good food and drinks!

**A Majestic Desert Treasure!** This place is a true gem in the desert--a carefully curated retreat with Instagram-worthy moments around every corner. The outdoor seating area is serene, and the little shops add to the charm. But the real magic happens with the food. As an East Coast transplant, I've missed authentic Caribbean flavors in California--even in LA. Discovering this spot now that we live here feels like a gift! We ordered a variety of dishes to share (as recommended by our wonderful waitress, whose warmth and knowledge helped us navigate gluten-free options for my son). The jerk chicken, curry, lamb, Brussels sprouts, and both pies (key lime and rum peach) were absolute perfection. Even the drinks--honey blonde ale, passion fruit cocktail, and lemonade--were fantastic. Every bite was incredible--I kept thinking, *Can all of this really be* this *good?!* I also love that this is a Black-owned business supporting local small businesses--that community investment is so special. Tucked away yet radiating joy and deliciousness, this place is a must-visit. I can't wait to return (and hopefully try their Doubles next time--Brooklyn-level lines would be worth it!). We're so lucky to have this here!
Jennifer V — Google review
I was so excited to come here, and the atmosphere did not disappoint. A blend of rustic with some modern touches, under the desert sky. I had a reservation for 8:30. It took 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. Once we checked in, we were told to wait in the waiting area until our table was ready. We waited another 20 minutes. Once to our table, it took another 20 minutes to get a server, and another 5 minutes until we got water (mind you it was 95 degrees). I have to say, the food was phenomenal. I have no complaints and only praise for the chef. The branzino, coconut rice, mushroom tartine and Brussels sprouts were divine. There is a Photo Booth by the bathrooms which was really cute, $5 though. Overall, great food & atmosphere, but sub par service.

We had Chickpea curry, jerk chicken and Brussels sprouts. Curry and chicken didn’t come hot but tasted good! Coconut rice was flavorful. Brussels sprouts were a perfect char. Service was great and there were a few shops to browse while waiting on food.

We stopped here for brunch and had a wonderful time! The food was amazing and our sever was incredible. Their drink menu is awesome and I personally appreciated the unique assortment of spirit free drinks. This place has a great atmosphere even if you want to come chill and have drinks. We live locally so I’m stoked to go back to try out their dinner menu! UPDATE - we’ve gone back and this place truly is a 100/10! We are getting eloped in Joshua Tree this summer and are planning on bringing our parents here as our wedding reception brunch! So amazing!!!

A really cool dining experience .... we elected to sit inside as it was a little chilly but outdoor dining was really cool. The drinks and food were excellent. Recommend the lamb pop ... this is a must. I wish I had ordered two of them. Another recommendation is cauliflower and dan dan noodles. I would not recommend the chickpea curry...not enough spice for me and our potato and egg dish had undercooked potatoes. My key lime pie was excellent

Two Guys Pies Brick Oven Pizzeria is a low-key Italian restaurant that offers a variety of creative pizzas, salads, and sandwiches. The place has a quality atmosphere with fun themed names for their pizzas like Bon Chovies and Avenged SevenToppings. Customers love the excellent crust texture, quality sauce & cheese, as well as the big, chunky toppings on the pizzas.
I had a good experience at 2 Guys Pies Brick Oven Pizzeria! I highly recommend the Mayhem Fest pizza—it’s packed with flavor and the perfect balance of toppings. The crust is crispy, and the ingredients are fresh. Definitely a must-try if you're a pizza lover.

FANTASTIC PIZZA!!! Homemade red sauce, fresh stretched ABC hand-tossed dough with super fresh toppings. The pizzas are named after music festivals so we did half JT Music Fest and half Mayhem. JT Music Fest: Mozzarella, Ricotta, Parmesan cheeses, Italian sausage with red sauce and fresh basil. Mayhem Fest: Red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, red onion, roasted peppers, artichokes and mozzarella cheese. The sauce was so good we ordered meatballs and sauce to go! Highly recommend!!

Good crust decent sauce, but the absolute lack of toppings on this pizza that I special ordered is pathetic five pieces of the thinnest sliced pepperoni I’ve ever seen in my life seven sliced razor, thin pieces of onion with these big chunks. About 3 inches. Long of mushroom appalling worst pizza I have ever had … 30 bucks by the time you tip for a pick up delivery I was told 20 minutes I was there in 15 walked in and my pizza was already sitting there soggy.. So fast service just a horrible pizza

We ordered pizza! It was so DELICIOUS! The crust was flavorful, crispy, 🔥, the toppings were plentiful and full of flavor. We even had a "Compose Your Own" pizza due to a food allergy. Our order was correct and served promptly by courteous staff. The atmosphere was eclectic with music and sports memorabilia, plasma TVs, arcade machines, dine in or take out. A welcome dining experience for the family and friends or out-of-towners like we were who searched for the best place to eat - and we found it!

Outstanding! Even though we came in <30 mins to closing, the welcome, service, and patience as we hung around after eating was great. The chicken & house salad with bread balls (in garlic butter) were enjoyable. The individual pepperoni pizza was great! Plenty of cheese that actually covered most of the pepperoni might give the impression of "lot alot of topping", but there was plenty on this 'bigger than individual' pizza.

Great local pizza shop. Good selection of unique pizzas along with standard favorites. Nice selection of beers from local microbrew. Cassie, our waitress provided attentive and friendly service. Two thumbs up! Decorated with cool music memorabilia.

Best pizza i’ve had in a while! I love the rock and roll theme of this pizza place, the servife was fast and friendly and i wanted to try literally everything i saw on the menu. I kept it simple and ordered the lalapalooza (hawaiian) and it did not disappoint. We’re from out of town so i won’t be able to come back to this spot for a while but the food, service and experience was so good when i’m back in the area this place will be first on my list to get food!

came here for dinner tonight and our server Micheal and the rest of the staff were very attentive and helpful. We were given water right upon arrival, our order taken in a timely matter and as we finished up the plates were cleared away so quickly. The meatballs, maui pizza and street corn were amazing. all the food had so much flavor, the ambiance inside the restaurant was very cool. the mocktails were also a 10/10. we aren’t from around here but would absolutely come back next time we are in town!

Looking for a nice place to dine in between interviews, I would define this place as a hidden gem with exceptional cuisine. Out of all the mock tails, I would recommend the one that contained Red Bull. I don’t remember the name, but I remember it had red Bull. Additionally, I would say that I can see parking being challenging when it’s busy, but luckily someone was pulling out as we were arriving. Lastly, and more importantly, remember to pause as you go throughout your day and practice being present. You’re most likely going to share a drink or a meal with someone, and I would highly suggest you take this as an opportunity to be present with each other. Make it a great evening y’all!

Music was horrible. Young man playing piano “Christopher” was over singing every song. No need to scream a beautiful song into the microphone. Had to send the food back. Service was bad. This place needs a great manager to address all off these issues. Could be a fun and inviting place. Won’t be back anytime soon.

Had food ordered for pick up for my husband who works late night. And this place was still open for orders so I ordered the filet mignon, the tiramisu and a chocolate martini. Everything was great except the chocolate martini, looked more like coffee than milked chocolate from what we are used too. But it may have been a misunderstanding since the order was via phone call (alot of background noise going on) and I appreciate the girl who toke my order close to perfection 👌 my husband really enjoyed the steak so we'll be eating from here for sure when desired. Oh! And they made the order quick too! No waiting, staff was on it!

Frontier Café is a charming spot in Yucca Valley, just a short drive from Joshua Tree National Park. The café offers a casual and comfortable atmosphere with eclectic art displays on the walls. It's the perfect place to grab some premium coffee, sandwiches, and salads before or after your visit to the park. The café also features a lounge area with couches, books, and an extensive record collection for guests to enjoy. Additionally, live music performances are frequently hosted here.
We have stopped by the cafe three different times twice for breakfast and another time to pick up some to go salads. The breakfasts were outstanding. We had avocado toast and two breakfast sandwiches, the classic and the sausage, grilled cheese and a bagel with crewm cheese. We also purchased three sandwiches to go and enjoyed them after we hiked 4 miles at Joshua Tree. Be prepared to wait it might take a little bit of time, but it's well worth the wait. All the food was very fresh.

Sausage, Egg, and Cheddar: 4/5 This was a great deal. It tasted like a sandwich you could make at home in the best possible way. I really like veggie sausage patties, so brace for it since it’s the main protein. The mayo they use was tasty and did not overpower the sandwich. I loved the very small salad of arugula on the side, a great way to brighten a normally very heavy breakfast. Americano: 4.5/5 Strong, dark, and not acidic. My perfect Americano. If you like something with lots of complexity, especially fruity notes, you may not like this. Tempeh Bacon: 3/5 This was a side order and they give you a good amount! It was very smoky, maybe a little too much liquid smoke, and salty. While I know it is trying to emulate bacon, it wasn’t crispy at all. It was just kind of wet and salty, mot my favorite. It was very tasty crumbling it into the potato salad though, I would recommend doing that. Potato Salad: 3/5 Flavor was decent and very traditional. I’m not a big fan of celery so I was glad this did not have any. The dressing tasted fine, but it was strangely separating/curdled. Also, the potatoes tasted old, you know when they get kind of leathery and shriveled from being in the fridge for too long. Ambiance: Casual. It has a desert hipster kind of vibe. Service: The staff was nice but food came out painfully slow. We waited for almost 20 minutes for a sandwich. Parking: Street parking on a wide street.

We went here for breakfast and we were not disappointed. One has to order at the counter and we had the classic egg sandwich ( this was yum), cream cheese bagel, salted caramel iced latte ( this was great) and a regular latte. Service was very quick and there's ample seating indoors and outdoors. The place has some really nice paintings too.

Loved this quaint little cafe! Recently stopped in with a group of friends (new to the area), and we were all very impressed with the menu options. Prices in California in general are higher than our Midwest norms, and this cafe was no exception- but it was worth every penny. I ordered the grilled cheese (added avocado), a hot peppermint tea, and a couple immunity and vitamin C shots. Laidback, cool atmosphere- overall great experience! Captured one pic of a friend’s egg sandwich (below).

Jelly Donut is a cozy spot in the high desert, recommended by locals for its Vietnamese cuisine. The pho is a popular choice, with some finding it satisfying and others praising it for redeeming their previous experiences with the dish. In addition to pho, they also offer brown sugar-based boba drinks and phenomenal donuts. The friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere make it a pleasant place to dine. They also boast a 400-year-old chili oil recipe.
For being the only pho spot in 29, it’s actually really good and we look forward to bowls when the weather is right. The buns they use for their bahn mi’s are a little weird but still work somehow. Donuts are great too if you catch em before they sell out. Cash only in here with an ATM inside.

I did not expect to eat Pho in Joshua Tree, but when my Vietnamese girlfriend saw this place we had to try it. A place called Jelly Donut… selling pho… in Joshua Tree?? Well, the pho is genuinely very good and a large portion; I was pleasantly surprised. The banh mi was solid as well. The place is Cash only but has an ATM inside. Owner was very friendly and the food came fast. No complaints. Highly recommend stopping by for a great meal.

Pretty good pho. They have a vegan friendly pho that’s served with veggie broth. For those avoiding dairy, I would not recommend their iced coffees, they all contain dairy and unable to opt for black.

Don’t skip this when you’re in town! (The photos of the brisket chili cheese dog was 1/4 of what it came with, the chicken and rice, the wonton fries brisket dish and the last photo was the birria egg rolls) egg rolls were great as well!

This was a cute place to relax and recuperate. Very friendly staff and great pho. Donuts are also phenomenal. A little pricey but for the middle of the desert, I was pleasantly surprised. The also claim their chili oil recipe is over 400 years oil, Which is pretty neat. Side note: bring cash because hot food is cash only.
Joaquin V — Google review
When eaten the same day or the day after, the donuts are good. We liked the old-fashioned (which is a glazed cruller) and the chocolate glaze but the raspberry jelly donut was barely filled and after overall the sugar glaze was getting to be a lot. The dough is nice and soft, but I wish that it had some sweetness instead of relying on a sugar glaze for flavor, which is why I think the old-fashioned is the best - there are lots of edges to give it texture and the right sugar to dough ratio. They accept credit card for donuts if you purchase over $10, but oddly they are cash only for everything else, which was pho for lunch in our case. Given the lack of options in the area (both an actual and food desert), it is an okay meal to give some variety, but nothing to write home about.

I enjoyed the food but the service was.... different. The guy seemed very irritated while I was ordering and then when I went to pay he said they only accept cash and looked like he was about to cancel my order. Not sure what the problem was because I had cash but the whole experience was odd. Vietnamese coffee was excellent. Glad to find a place in 29 Palms that offers it.

Chinese restaurant
Panda Express is a popular fast-food chain known for its Americanized Chinese cuisine. The restaurant offers a variety of Chinese standards, with some health-conscious options available. Customers appreciate the good food and fast service, making it a convenient pit stop for satisfying cravings. Additionally, some locations feature a tea bar offering Thai tea and flavored specialty teas.
Thank you to Daniel super friendly and courteous and great service got us our food fast and easy. Food was great like always fresh and ready and a banging flavor. Walnut shrimp is always fire fire. Place was nice and clean and spacious
Alex F — Google review
After a four hour long drive, I decided to stop at Panda Express with my mom to grab something to eat. I ordered teriyaki chicken, steak and shrimp, and a half-and-half side of chow mein and super greens. When I asked for the super greens, I noticed there weren’t any in the tray. The manager (or who I assume is the manager, since he’s always in a different shirt and usually directing the team whenever I visit) told me there would be a bit of a wait, but they’d be ready soon. I told him that was fine. He then called over to two employees on the grill and let them know he needed super greens. That’s when things got a little odd—they immediately started complaining and saying something back to him (I couldn’t make out what). Naturally, I was watching because I was confused. You're on the grill, you’re supposed to be cooking sides and entrees, and a customer requested something you offer—so why the attitude? It honestly didn’t make sense. Anyway, my mom paid for the food, and we reminded the cashier that our order included super greens. She told us, “Oh, they already put them in your plate.” That was surprising, because the manager had just said they needed to be cooked. When I got home and opened my plate, I found only three small pieces of broccoli and a single piece of cabbage. It was disappointing, especially because I come here enough and almost always get chow mein and super greens so I know the portions. I don’t expect a huge portion, but at least a reasonable amount—especially when I’m paying for a side that’s meant to be vegetables. To make things worse, the broccoli I did get was barely even cooked. Honestly, I think I’ll be taking a break from this location for a while. I could’ve gone to China Star down the street, gotten more food, no attitude, and spent less money—even if they had to cook it fresh.
Tasha — Google review
Ok food but if you order online for pick up, check your order before you go. (And don't expect to be ready when you show up at the allotted time.) My husband opened his plate box at home and both entrees were missing. Wasn't worth going all the back. But all he got was rice! 🥺
Paula S — Google review
This panda express has drive through service. Compared to other branches, the food here is not as delicious, such as the vegetables are too hard and the teriyaki chicken is a bit fishy. However, I think the dining environment is good and the service is good. The delivery service includes cutlery and extra sauce packet. This is very thoughtful.
Brendan Y — Google review
Decided to stop for a quick bite at panda. After ordering a plate I waited in the drive thru with only one car in front of me for 20 minutes before reversing and going inside to wait another ten before receiving my food which was only veggies and teriyaki chicken
Donte S — Google review
I had such an amazing experience tonight. I have a shellfish allergy, but Mandee, Daniel, and Jessica made sure to be extremely cautious and careful while preparing my food. They went above and beyond to make sure I could eat there, and they were so kind and helpful I 100% will be going back!

Its Panda. The Americanized Chinese Food pit stop. The food is good and the fast service is always a plus. They have a tea bar in this location, so if you are into thai tea or flavored specialty teas they've got that as well. Update 4/17/2021 - Seems as of late, they have changed some ordering procedures. If you want sauces of any kind, you need to ask when you order or at the window or they will not put any in your bag. Learned this the hard way. Got a couple miles down the road and had to turn around, so I snatched some pics while I was at it.
Tommy V — Google review
Employees are rude and act like you bothered them. I came through the drive thru and ordered 2 plates I only received one fork no napkins no sauces that I asked for and when I asked the employee he looked annoyed that I asked for a second fork for my 2 plates. He kept closing the window and tried to wait for me to drive off when all I wanted was napkins forks and sauces for the food I ordered. EDIT: Decided to give this location a second chance after the last horrible experience 7 months ago and was met with another horrible experience. Ordered Broccoli Beef and only got Broccoli. Food in my family meal was not filled. Got a family meal and only got 2 fortune cookies and no utensils.

Great service from Alicia. She had great attitude the only one who has ever been nice and welcoming all around nice young girl surprised to see that out here in the desert. Thank you

Jass served us and went above and beyond to ensure we had exactly what we wanted. She also offered to cut our subs in thirds and wrap them individually, knowing we were eating on the road. Such customer service! We are tourists and likely will never be this way again, but if we were locals, we would go to this Subway just to have Jass’ outstanding customer service. Thank you, Jass for taking the time to make our day more special! We hope your manager will recognize you and - if you are the manager - pat yourself on the back!

Linda W — Google review
There was mold on the vegetables last time i went a few months ago and they want 20 dollars for a sub. What happened to 5 dollar footlongs? It's not like billions of dollars per year in profit make it hard to keep that deal going when there's fact based evidence proving that there was no reason to stop the deal. The local franchise owners don't honor subway deals either so good luck getting a discount without a serious argument about the subway policies.

We have gotten sandwiches from this location twice and both times we got excellent service from Doc. He is friendly and excellent at making sandwiches. We are Vegan and order veggie sandwiches and believe me when I say that Doc makes our sandwiches taste amazing with his portions and sandwich making style. Thanks Doc!

Its Subway 🤷‍♂️ is it the greatest thing ever? No but the customization is awesome when you are watching what you eat and they are everywhere so it's an easy and decently quick choice. If you get anything with egg make sure to have them add salt and pepper, their eggs are unseasoned starting off.

Burrito restaurant
Nestled in the quirky Pioneertown, The Red Dog Saloon is a charming restaurant with a rich history. Originally built in 1946 as part of a Western film set, it later transformed into a functioning bar where even Hells Angels bikers frequented. Recently renovated by brothers, this old watering hole now offers Tex-Mex delights and flavorful cocktails. Visitors can savor the tasty Mexican cuisine and enjoy an array of cocktail and beer options while soaking up the lively atmosphere.
We stopped by here for dinner after visiting Pioneertown, and were just in time for Bingo night. It's loud, it's fun, and very inclusive. We ordered our tacos and drinks at the bar, and found a table outdoors where it was a little less loud (just because we were jetlagged and also tired from our drive). The tacos tasted a lot better than I had expected. I would recommend you to eat them in this order: the vegan mushroom taco > the chicken taco > the pork one > the wagyu beef one. I started with the beef one first and it was so juicy and flavorful that it (kinda almost) ruined the others for me. We also got the tater tots, spicy pickles, beans and mexican rice. Everything was delicious, I have to say. As another family left, they passed their Bingo cards to us, so we got to play along as well. It was good fun. Just be aware that if you can't handle cussing then you should probably avoid game night here!

Red Dog Saloon is hands down one of the best spots around. The location is unbeatable — it feels like stepping into an old Wild West town, with a vibe that’s as authentic as it gets. It’s the perfect place to grab a cold beer, relax, and soak it all in. The kids can run around outside while you kick back, and the sunset views? Absolutely photo-worthy. Food and drinks were fresh, service was solid, and the whole place has a laid-back charm that makes you want to stay a little longer. We’ll definitely be back.

Stopped by here before the concert last night. Julio was cool, super friendly and Ursula made me the best cherry coke. They even had the good dark cherries! Friendly atmosphere and very cool and clean inside. If you’re going to Palm Springs, I definitely recommend taking a side trip here!

The food was ok, taste wise, nothing I went ‘omg this is soo good’ … I was shocked at the prices for the quantity. No a good shocked haha the Guacamole was pretty clean… Ordered the Brisket taco, the breakfast burrito, spicy pickles, Queso and chips, Guacamole and chips, and they wouldn’t give us a normal side of Salsa unless we paid the $8 for a full order of chips and salsa . We got the little plastic cup, Had water . Bill was $50 bucks . Some people love it.. for my experience… not so much.
Young G — Google review
We love the live music, the food, and the drinks here! Always look forward to it when we come to Pioneertown. Check their Instagram or website to see their event schedule- they have live music all the time and Bingo! The tacos are excellent. We tried the chicken, pork, beef, and mushroom tacos. The pork was our favorite! Beef was second favorite, chicken was third favorite, and mushroom was least favorite but all were delicious. The tortillas were excellent. We also got the guac with chips and it was delicious and a good portion size. My husband had Modelos but I tried their margaritas and they were great!

Three of us visited on a honky tonk Sunday night. Parking is easy lot parking. Music was good, employees were kind and let us know that they’d be with us when they were done taking other orders. Drinks are good, food is finger foods. We ordered the tator tots and a chips w salsa. It was okayyyyy. Plenty of seating, free wifi as reception is spotty. Toilets and hand wash basin in the bathroom are black which is sketchy. Could use a more thorough cleaning and a changing out to white color. The surrounding area is Pioneertown, from what I understand was an old movie set. A very fun vibe overall. Time seems to stop when you’re there. Fun to experience 👍 Be careful of driving on the road at night, we were almost run off the road by overzealous and/or drunk locals.

Came here on a Saturday AM during Memorial Day Weekend for breakfast and sat outside with a small group. It was slow but we still had to serve ourselves because they don’t bring food out to you or have a wait staff. Joseph is very personable and makes a killer Bloody Mary (pictured) but his colleagues did the bare minimum. Came back on a Saturday early evening and the vibe and service were a total downgrade. My friend wanted to buy a t-shirt and another wanted to order a drink, but the staff seemed over it, perhaps due to the holiday crowd The live band is really loud, yet some Israeli local brings his donkeys, ties them to the fence right by the music, and asks for money when tipsy visitors want pictures. I felt bad for the poor animals.

The Tiny Pony Tavern is a queer-owned tavern in Yucca Valley that has become a popular gathering spot for the growing gay community. It offers delicious bar food, billiards, and stays open until 2 am daily. The eclectic interior with cat artwork provides a unique backdrop to the breathtaking views of Shoe City. The tavern also features a photo booth, karaoke, and an awesome vibe with pool table and bar seating.
So great. You get so much more than you expect when you first walk in. The bar itself is nothing special at first glance. However, the service is super friendly and quick and the food is even better and somehow faster. What seemed like a blink after getting our beers, our food was ready and we were thoroughly enjoying it. The beer list is fantastic with lots of local beers and something for everyone. My wife had the burger that she loves. I had the veggie burger and it was homemade and so freaking good. Top three restaurant veggie burgers I've ever had. Major kudos for doing it in-house and not a mass produced patty. The loaded yucca fries were a solid bonus to the meal. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Got a pic of what was left hahaha

We had such a fantastic time at The Tiny Pony! 🎉 It’s a super cool, eclectic little spot with a funky, laid-back vibe that immediately makes you feel at home. We started with the Brunchie Wildboar tots (the special of the day) and wow — absolutely amazing! I had the veggie burger, hubby went for the fried chicken sandwich with fries, and everything was cooked to perfection. Flavorful, fresh, and just the right portions. The kind of food that’s so good and drippy there’s a reason there’s a full paper towel roll on the table! Haha! Also great Bloody Mary’s!! The service was wonderful — friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Between the food, the vibe, and the people, it’s definitely the kind of place you want to linger. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and want something a little different but absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back!

We stopped by the Tiny Pony Tavern after a morning in Joshua Tree National Park. The vibes were off the charts. The food was tasty, but pretty expensive for small portions. We were not disappointed, but did feel like we left spending a significant amount for not that much food. Would recommend going, though!!

We’d heard a bunch of great things about this place, so we had to check it out during our Joshua Tree trip. We grabbed lunch here and had Britney M as our host—she was super friendly and attentive. We went with the steak + fries , warm beet and farro bowl with avocado (way better than it sounds), and for drinks, we had a mango michelada and a cherry lime Rickey. Everything was on spot. The vibe here is really cool/ laid-back with plenty of space, a pool table, and even a photo booth. We missed out on one of their karaoke nights, but now we’ve got a reason to come back. Definitely worth a visit!

Fun, eclectic atmosphere! Came here for lunch on a Saturday and it was seat yourself. Limited brunch/lunch menu. Waited a bit for the one waitress working the room but it gave us enough time to decide what we wanted. Food came fast and was delicious! We had the yucca fries, a burger, chicken sandwich, avocado tacos and pretzel bites. Everyone was happy!

Will never order online from this place again. Can't even get the order right!

Just happened to find this little gem. It was a beautiful morning, so sat outside and enjoyed the dessert mountain view as we ate. Ordered a breakfast special that included coffee. All was cooked to our request. Very, very good. The waitress was attentive and friendly. As we were leaving, we noticed they served "bloody beer "...oh, if only we'd realized it sooner!😮‍💨 but for the best, as we were ready to hit the road!

This place is fairly popular! We dash orders from here frequently, so we visited Super Bowl Sunday, and the game was playing on a large flat screen. Service was prompt and friendly. We had burritos, mine was a Chile relleño burrito I couldn't pass up. The place was packed but was hardly no wait time. Customers coming in and leaving in a clock work rotation. My only complaint was the price. It felt like all though the burritos were delicious, they should have been accompanied by rice and beans. I've basket of chips and spicy salsa was served on the house. We will return for sure.
Linda W — Google review
I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The service was slow and inattentive — we waited a long time just to get water with 104 temp outside. When the food finally arrived, it was bland, poorly prepared, and definitely not worth the price. The flavors I expected from a Mexican restaurant just weren’t there, and the presentation didn’t help either. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, because with better service and fresher, more flavorful food, this place could improve a lot.

The place looks very casual, but offers a great variation of food options. We had tostada de ceviche de camaron, tostada de ceviche de pescado; guac, and flan, — everything was really good. So the chips and salsa were. Service was simple but pleasant. Overall, it is a good place for a casual dining, I would definitely consider to come back.

The Copper Room is a historic spot that has been open since 1957 and was once popular among Hollywood celebrities. Located next to an airstrip, it offers stunning views of the airport runway and sunset. The ambiance is great for enjoying drinks with friends, and the large parking lot ensures convenience for visitors. The menu features delicious options like marinated cucumbers and spinach & artichoke dip, along with classic choices like cheeseburgers and crispy fries.
I had the opportunity to dine at The Copper Room, celebrating an anniversary, and it was fantastic! The restaurant is next to the airport so if you're flying in, it's super convenient. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the host, who was extremely friendly and welcoming. She led us to our booth and we started to look around the environment and it immediately felt like a time capsule back to the 70s. The interior design was super old school, groovy, and homey. Onto the menu, we ordered the artichoke dip, which was delicious (make sure you mix it well), the fried rice (very flavorful), and the steak (which had a very smokey and grilled flavor, cooked to perfect medium). For our drinks and dessert, we got a Sicilian soda, The Sky High (an NA drink that tasted nostalgic and like bourbon), and a Miso Carmel Cheesecake. The cheesecake was good and thick but the next time I go, I'd try their br ad pudding. Overall, this was a great experience. The host and server were very helpful and kind, the food was delicious and filling, and the environment was perfect. Shout-out to their music as well, it was beautifully curated to the restaurant ambiance. Check this place out when you're in town!

In town for my husband’s birthday and decided to make reservations based off of reviews and location. Took a bit to be acknowledged when we arrived, we were finally seated and the hostess that seated us wished my husband a happy birthday as she had seen it on the reservation. We ordered drinks, the 57 martini, the dusty martini and a margarita. We then ordered the shrimp cocktail, and the shishito peppers . We enjoyed the drinks and appetizers. We then ordered our entrees. The rice with 2 skewers on the side and the steak plate . That was also good. It was like it seemed a pretty slow night, our waiter was kind and attentive. I did notice 2 people get a slice of cheesecake and a candle, and was waiting for my husband to get one as well. But he didn’t. Not sure if they forgot or what? Food and drinks were good, atmosphere a little outdated but makes sense because of the history of it. It was good to try it out.

This is a hidden gem in the desert! We were staying in Joshua Tree but thinking we had to drive to Palm Springs for cool places to eat. We were so wrong! A local told us about this place. We would never have found it and even if we happen to drive by probably wouldn't have gone in. Thank goodness we did! Wgat a gem! Decor is new but gives the appearance of the 70's. The staff is amazing and very friendly. The bartenders are outstanding and created drinks for us based on what we liked. We will miss you Grant and John! Thank you for making our last night in Joshua Tree the best!

From the moment you walk in, the retro-chic vibe hits you—in the best way. The design feels like a stylish nod to the 1950s, with cozy booths, wood paneling, and a bar that overlooks the runway (yes, it’s at the airport!). It’s the perfect mix of nostalgia and sophistication. The food was fantastic—elevated comfort classics with a modern twist. I had the hanger steak and artichoke dip, both were perfectly prepared. The cocktails are exceptional—creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. The service was warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. Whether you're visiting Joshua Tree or a local looking for a night out, this place is a must. Bonus points for the patio seating with fire pits and occasional live music. Can’t wait to return—Yucca Valley is lucky to have this spot!

Great ambience and love the concept of Asian fusion infused menu but wish they could execute on that. None of the food taste particularly good, there is too much of a sour profile that wasn't balanced and we didn't really enjoy the food. I would also say that it's overpriced considering the food wasn't great.

⸻ Disappointing Experience After 5 Years of Loyalty I’ve been a loyal customer at Castaneda’s Mexican Food in Joshua Tree for over five years, often eating here several times a week. Sadly, after a recent experience, I won’t be returning. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and sides, but the food was not only made incorrectly the first time—it was remade with stale, foul-tasting chicken. After three trips back and forth and a delayed refund of $15.46 to my debit card (my last available funds), I asked for a simple cash refund. The manager refused and told me, “That’s not my problem.” The customer service was shockingly dismissive, especially toward a longtime regular. If you’re looking for quality Mexican food in Joshua Tree with reliable service, you may want to look elsewhere

I am have been a patron for over 20 years, this place used to be a 5 now it's barely a 3. The prices keep going up while the quality and quantity keep going down. The green sauce was jelly, the carrots should have been thrown out awhile ago. I included the picture of half of my burrito because after I ate a quarter of it I wondered where the carne asada was in my California burrito, the cheese, and the tomatoes in my pico were also missing. Burrito tastes like onions, fries, and tortilla. Found out that was due to the fact that each half of my 7.5 inch burrito had a tablespoon of meat, no cheese or tomatoes but a ton of fries and onions. What happened??? What's missing from my salsa, hmmm?

I did not enjoy my order at all. I ordered the #13 chimichanga and a side order of chips with guacamole and cheese. I was not expecting the cheese on the chips to be shredded cheese and not queso… The chips were not good due to the grease they were fried in - same for my chimichanga. The guacamole tastes just like the cheap jar stuff from the grocery store. The rice was the only good thing in my order, however, there was only 2 measly bites of rice. Refried beans were extremely watery. My partners burrito was pretty good.

I recently visited this restaurant on my way back from Joshua Tree National Park for dinner. We ordered the Asada Plate and the Steak Ranchero Plate. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the delicious sauces provided. The meat was incredibly juicy and freshly cooked, making for a satisfying meal. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a tasty and satisfying dining experience.

Health food store
Joshua Tree Health Foods is a must-visit spot for health-conscious travelers, especially those with dietary restrictions. Located near one of the entrances to Joshua Tree park, this store offers a wide range of organic groceries, supplements, and vegan-friendly options. The small cafe within the store serves up healthy meal choices like smoothies and salads. Customers rave about the fantastic customer service and reasonable prices.
I’m really happy about this store since it carries a lot of organic and vegan food. A really good and large selection. Even my favorite ice cream is in here. And my new favorite product, Bear Bar, which I ended up buying 4. I wish it had better selection of fresh produce. Every time I visit the store many of fruit and vegetables are not fresh. Other than this, it’s a great store.

Very vegan-friendly including raw cheesecake from local vendor “Elive Food” and many diff flavor cookies from “Alternative Baking Company”, mushroom jerky, protein bars, health power snacks etc! Tea, coffee, nuts, grains and legumes in bulk! Homeopathic/holistic stuff, vitamins and other supplements. Also, diff spices, egg substitute, nutritional eggs, coconut milk powder, plant-based milks, yogurts, ice creams etc etc (check my pics). I think vegans are covered, lol
Galina C — Google review
First time visiting. This is hands down a 5stars store. The bad reviews are about masks not about the contents within this store. Wearing a mask is helpful especially to immune compromised people. Lots of organic goodies here especially for vegans. The customer service is fantastic as well. There is a vegan restaurant right next door which is amazing and yummy & very convenient; I can have some yummy vegan foods and shop for some too. I recommend & I’ll return.

Love the selection but the pricing is weird with a lot of the items that you would think should be the same price. 🧐

I did not like this place at all...When I walked in, the manager, an older & very tan lady, was whining & being very rude to someone on the phone...The whole time I was there, she kept walking right next to my visibly injured leg...Her energy was hostile...When I asked her about a product, she was unhelpful...I couldn't wait to get out of the suffocating environment; It seems like one of the employees couldn't wait to either...She looked miserable. The prices here are ridiculous & the products are not great...why does everything have to be processed with soy, which is horrible for you? I will not go back here unless I'm in the middle of nowhere again.

I’m writing as a supporter of your store to respectfully request that you consider implementing a fragrance-free policy in a store sold with food items— including the use of incense, essential oil diffusers, air fresheners, and other scented products in-store — to help ensure accessibility for individuals with disabilities. Our recent order was contaminated with strong fragrance and inedible due to this. Many people in our community, including those with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), asthma, and other immune or neurological conditions, experience serious and even life-threatening reactions to synthetic and natural fragrances. For us, even a brief exposure can cause symptoms like migraines, respiratory distress, nervous system flare-ups, or the need for emergency care. In addition to the health risks from airborne scents, fragrance particles settle on unpackaged food items, herbs, and produce — potentially contaminating otherwise safe foods and making them unusable for sensitive customers. This can turn a routine shopping trip into a risky and expensive experience. As a local health food store — a place known for valuing wellness and inclusivity — your leadership on this issue could make a real difference. A fragrance-free shopping experience allows disabled customers to support local businesses without risking our health. I’d be happy to offer resources or feedback if it’s helpful, and I truly appreciate your time, consideration, and any steps you might take to make your store safer and more welcoming for all. Please provide an email if so.

How do you say if you can't say nothing nice don't say it at all but this place destroyed my family ruined my marriage and more due to Danny and Linda in their personal involvement in my family in marriage they destroyed so much they need to shut their doors and deal with their own personal issues and quit overcharging people more than they should ever been it's more like a highway robbery. You can get the same products from pretty much anywhere else Walmart and more for cheaper before you buy from here make sure that you go somewhere else and check the prices
Kenneth A — Google review
The manager, the short Mexican lady is rude as can be. I used to shop there and they had great customer service, idk what happened but the way that she was rude to me and my children, is very unprofessional, and disrespectful towards her customers. I will not be shopping there no more. I wonder how many others she was disrespectful, and rude too. Such a shame a great store hired and made her a manager.

Yucca Kabob is a popular spot, especially for those visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Despite the crowds and some delays in service due to short staffing, the food was well worth the wait. The Mediterranean dishes like falafel wraps, vegetarian platters, kofta kebab plates, and gyro sandwiches were all highly praised for their delicious flavors and generous portions. The restaurant may not look impressive from the outside but it offers a clean environment with friendly staff.
Stopped in for a quick bite. I expected okay food, but what we got was exceptional. We ordered the family maza so we could try a little of several appetizers. My wife ordered the Greek salad for her main, and I ordered the gyro shawarma. Everything was VERY good. I am recommending this restaurant to all of my friends.
David A — Google review
Food was very delicious and filling. It was tasty and flavourful. However, we arrived on a Tuesday at 7:40 PM and we were told that we were unable to be served on plates and had to dine-in with takeout containers and plastic cutlery. We were surprised by this because the restaurant closed at 9 PM. Also, the server was a bit dismissive and never checked in with us. Overall would be an excellent place to order takeout.

10/10 best chicken shawarma I’ve had in a long time. Everything really well seasoned and proper portions. If you’re trying to avoid expensive tourist traps, definitely hit this place.

Literally the BEST middle eastern food out there. Unexpectedly amazing. I came with a group on ladies, we ordered the baba ganoush, egg omelette, fries, feta toast and wrap and OMG everything is delicious. Highly highly recommend coming here for your dinner. Parking is easy lot parking, bathrooms are available. Servers are nice. Food is excellent.

A hidden gem in the middle of the desert! This place had delicious hummus, one of the best we’ve ever had. The main kabob plate was very filling, and everything was seasoned very well — the chicken and beef were cooked to perfection! Highly recommend.

5 stars - huge servings of delicious food. Had the gyro and vegetarian plate and it was perfect for 3 people. Loved it!

Food tasted not terrible, but also not even okay. Everything was too much, but in a bad way. Lemon soup is too sour, the kebab was too dry, and everything else was too salty.

It’s UNBELIEVABLE this is not a 5.0 stars and it’s a 4.6 currently. This is 100% the best kabobs my wife & I have ever had manyyy kabaobs andhave even been to Greece and this is the best kabob I’ve ever had. We were stopping by on a road trip and wow. Then you add on the service and kindness of the family staff. I’m not a reviewer usually but we had to post this. Amazingggf

Extended stay hotel
The hotel Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Palm Desert is set in a polished property featuring an outdoor pool and a gym. It is clean, comfortable, quiet and good price.
Just checked out and yes, another wonderful stay. Cleanliness is my number one priority and this hotel consistently hits the mark. From the friendliness of the front desk staff, the well maintained rooms and the great service in the breakfast area. Thank you for keeping your standards high!
Shei — Google review
This hotel offered great service. The front desk employee was very attentive and helpful, and the staff at breakfast were equally friendly and accommodating. The hotel had good facilities, including a gym, pool, and jacuzzi. The complimentary breakfast was satisfying and just what you would expect. The rooms were a bit dated and could use a refresh, but they were perfectly adequate for our stay.
Marco W — Google review
Overall a great stay at this Fairfield inn. Quick easy off and on to I10. The staff at check in were nice and friendly. My room had recently been remodeled and everything was near perfect. It would be nice to have bottled water at check in (having Marriott status). Didn’t utilize the restaurant or bar area.
Jon L — Google review
Everything was clean and updated. Stayed here primarily to visit Joshua Tree NP (save time for a side trip to Mojave Mini Donkeys - soo worth it!). Lots of new growth and construction in the area with good food options. Breakfast was the expected options and decent. Only complaints were that the pillows were too soft and lumpy (husband has neck, spine & hip issues and likes them more supportive) and my kids were disappointed and grossed out to find a visible layer of film across the top of the pool (presumably from sunscreen) in the evening when we returned from a day of hiking. Pool ranks at the top of their list of necessary amenities when it comes to family travel, so they deemed it a serious party foul. Overall though, I’m happy with our choice and would stay there again.
Shannon P — Google review
I am a Marriott Gold member and usually enjoy staying at Marriott because of the comfort and quality. However, this recent stay was disappointing. The air conditioning was so loud that it was difficult to get a good night’s sleep, and the bathroom walls were in very poor condition (see attached photos). We booked this room expecting Marriott standards, but unfortunately it did not feel like the value we normally receive. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests.
Vener Z — Google review
This whole hotel experience was great. Enrique at the front desk was super helpful and accommodating. He even went out of his way later to offer me napkins and utensils when he saw a Doordash was dropping off food for me. The gentleman who set up breakfast did a great job and really seemed to take pride in the set up and cleanliness. The accommodations were very clean and well-maintained. I didn't have a chance to sit by the pool or the fire pit but they looked very inviting.
Kate K — Google review
Great room clean and nice. Staff was friendly at check in. Complementary breakfast was as expected and usual. Room was pretty quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Stayed in the area to visit Joshua Tree National Park, which was about a 40 min drive away

Although it is next to the highway and traintracks, I was impressed how quiet it was. The hotel is extremely well kept and clean. The morning staff was so chipper ,it was refreshing to wake up to. Bottled water a little pricey ,however grateful it was available for purchase .

The High Desert Motel is a functional hotel located in the area known as the High Desert, due to its high elevation above sea level. It offers simple rooms with microwaves, an outdoor pool, BBQ facilities, and free Wi-Fi. The motel is conveniently situated for visiting Joshua Tree National Park and provides spacious and clean rooms equipped with modern appliances such as microwaves, fridges, and HBO.
Arrived to find a very quaint American roadside motel, greeted by pleasant gentleman who aided without hesitation when I requested a ground floor room. We're on a 4 week road trip & have so much luggage getting it upstairs would have been difficult, the room was clean, bathroom spotless. All amenities within the room worked, had no issues here at all. Would recommend a stay here if in the area.
Peter H — Google review
Very simple, no-frills budget motel. The rooms are in need of an upgrade. They are big and clean enough. Replacing the carpet and a new color on the walls would go a long way in making this place feel fresher. I stayed here back in 2017 and the rooms are exactly as I remember them. It's conveniently right on the highway, but not loud. Pillows aren't very comfortable. But it was a good place to sleep for the price. There is a coin-op washer/dryer on premises plus some soda machines.
Dora F — Google review
Fantastic stop while visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Great value for the money. The room was well kept, clean, and spacious, with a very comfortable mattress. There’s even a pool in the back. Just be aware that the fridge in the room freezes everything. The only downside was that you couldn’t lock the door from the outside, so we only brought our luggage in right before locking ourselves in for the night.
][ — Google review
This was about a e for me. My comforter was dirty. My bed awful. My pillows flat. The lighting was bright over head. No lamp. No study light. 4 tokens on 2 nights stay on a 2 token per bucket of ice. When's small bottle of shampoo no conditioner no lotion. Just super basic
Amber M — Google review
Very happy! You get what you pay for and more here! Rooms were clean, air conditioners worked great, very safe parking lot and rooms (though no safe available) and service in the room was excellent! The bed cover may have had stains but we put that to the side and everything was super clean and location was close enough to all we wanted. No frills but amazing value!!!
Reviewer A — Google review
Very dated rooms—the sofa and the carpeted floor have definitely seen a lot of activity over the years. The hotel feels quite old and likely still has the same furniture it had when it was built. The windows don’t seal very well, and at times the wind manages to get inside. The bed was alright, and it does the job if you just need a place to sleep between national park visits. However, I’d likely choose a different motel next time I’m in Joshua Tree.
Mario K — Google review
Retro hotel super close to Joshua Tree National Park's west entrance. In room amenities all functional: fridge with freezer, microwave, air conditioner, coffee, hair dryer & TV. It was nice to have a freezer because we were able to refreeze the blue ice for the cooler. Super clean. Comfortable beds & pillows. Would absolutely stay here again. Walmart only 3 miles away for easy grocery stock up & some good restaurants within easy driving distance. I noticed some of the reviews marked the hotel as "dated". I think it has more of a classic Route 66 mom & pop kind of vibe. Is it all modern & fancy? No Is it clean, comfortable, and convenient? Absolutely!

This is a budget conscious place. The bed is big, the ac blows cold. The front desk guy is rough around the edges, but hey, you ain't dating him. Perfect for a trip to the national park.

Nestled in the heart of Coachella Valley, the Best Western Plus Coachella Valley Inn & Suites is a fantastic choice for travelers seeking comfort and convenience. This relaxed hotel features a fitness center, a heated outdoor pool, and a hot tub to unwind after your adventures. Guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast options that cater to various dietary needs, including gluten-free muffins.
Out of all the hotels we stayed at on our trip this was our favorite. Everything was clean, modern, and in good working order. They even had gluten free muffins at breakfast. Only room for improvement was that, like most BW+, the TV only has about 100 local channels and wasn't smart. The location is super convenient although it's not a very scenic neighborhood.

Hotel was great, Seemed newer. Location was practical for what we needed, rooms were clean, friendly staff made check in easy & quick. Great breakfast with a lot of options. One morning, there was a small issue with their main water line but they fixed it quickly (5-10 min tops) and there was no other issue. Would definitely stay here again!
Christina N — Google review
Very nice clean hotel, great price, nice staff and complimentary breakfast. The only negative thing is breakfast ends too early it's from 6-9 a.m. and on this memorial weekend they ran out of waffles which was something we do look forward to when staying here. Overall a great place to stay.
Loraine M — Google review
Great value for the money, excellent location- the 10 freeway takes you quickly to any city in the valley, and Ramon Rd is just across the freeway and that is a straight shot to the Palm Springs airport (15 mins). Also it is next to In-n-Out and Del Taco if you need your fixes like we do every time we visit CA. Rooms were very clean, everything in working order especially the a/c which was wonderful in the heat. The pool was small, but clean and they were prompt to bring out more towels when asked. Breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast nothing to write home about, but they did have a nice coffee machine that made lattes and hot chocolate. Laundry room with 1 washer and dryer, good price at $1.50/1.75, soap was sold at front desk for $2. This was my second visit in a month, and this time had 4 other family members staying in a variety of rooms so was able to see the studio suite (tons of space for kids), a 1 bedroom suite (very nice kitchen with a bar counter) and a normal room on both sides of the hallway (the side of hallway with odd number rooms are much bigger).

We’d heard awesome things about their pizza, so we had to check it out—and it did *not* disappoint. We tried the Fresh Mess and it was insanely good—super fresh and full of flavor. The cocktails and beer were great too. The vibe inside is really cool, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. They’ve got both indoor and outdoor seating, so it’s perfect no matter the weather. Definitely a must-visit spot!

Artisan pizza in a cool venue with some good service and some good drinks. Got a pizza and a salad, both were quite good. The pizzas are fun and different at times. They have a nice beer selection and a greaaat name.

After driving by here countless times, we decided to stop in for lunch on our way home from Palm Springs to Big Bear Lake. Oh. My. Goodness. The food was incredible (meatball sandwich, two pepperoni pizzas (one with sausage), and a Mushy Tina). Fabulous & friendly service. Great choice of beverages. Couldn't have been more pleased with the whole experience. We'll be back. Definitely worth the hour drive from home.

I love this place. Pretty much the best pizza in all of Coachella Valley is found here in the middle of nowhere in the high desert. They do what most of the more popular CV pizza places don’t and that is THEY GET THE CRUST RIGHT. And the salads too! Besides the pizza it’s just a fun place with a cool vibe, live music, good drinks, and other menu options.

The Joshua Tree Inn is a hacienda-style motor inn that has become a popular choice for both travelers and famous musicians. The hotel offers themed rooms and an outdoor pool, making it a unique and character-filled destination at great value. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, with amenities such as microwaves, fridges, and small back patios. The property boasts a beautiful desert landscape with a great-looking pool, making it an ideal place to relax.
Simple and perfect. I was there in January and the heater worked well and there was a second heater in the bathroom. Comfy bed. Microwave, coffee, granola bars. Cute outdoor space. Fire pit. Nice little indoor common area with tables where you can eat or write or visit or read or play board games. You use a code to get into the doors, which is very convenient. Check-in and out are super efficient. Josh at the front desk was so nice. 15 minute-drive to Joshua Tree National park and 2-min drive to the gift and art shops. It was perfect!

This little historic motel is so cute and eclectic. Staff was super helpful during check-in and responsive via text when we asked for late check out. Room was clean and loved the private patio - and the mini fridge and microwaves were nice to have. Close proximity to Joshua Tree National Park and all the fun restaurants and shops in Joshua Tree Village.

We booked a room here and when we arrived we took my 92 year old father back to the room. He has dementia and was having a major episode about staying there…for many reasons but mainly because the rooms are dark inside and don’t have a lot of natural light…he refused to stay there…I told the front desk that we just couldn’t stay, he was having a dementia episode…they said sorry and basically see ya later…I asked it they were able to rent the room could we have our money back? I had just given them the rest of the room cost (had put down a $50 deposit) cash…they said no and wouldn’t do anything to help me…I would NEVER stay there…it is dark, old and run down…making it look dirty…and they are not nice people…my dad has Maculate degeneration as well and can’t see…it was a real thing…very disappointing…since I had just given them the cash, they could have given it back to me and kept the deposit…but they could care less of his medical problems that prohibited the stay…

We loved the JTI. The location is super convenient to entering the National Park and it’s near many options for food, fuel, coffee, etc. However, the best part about the Joshua Tree Inn is of course it’s rich history followed closely by its fantastic atmosphere. You can just feel the rock n roll vibe in this place and they do a great job honoring the spirit of Gran Parsons. The atmosphere of the Inn is of a different time and has a spirit of freedom and creativity all around it. The Donovan suite was a big place with 2 beds, full kitchen and bath and was very well appointed. The staff is awesome and I cannot recommend checking out this place. I would love to return sometime, it’s just a really cool place to stay. We loved it. PS We just got home from our second stay here at the JTI one year later. Still great, still loved it, what a great property.

New, clean, beautiful hotel within easy walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Excellent location. The rooms are great, very comfortable, clean, well equipped, with plenty of electric outlets, nice pillows, blackout shades, mini fridge, microwave, all you need. The employees were friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast was very good hotel style, but with more options than most. There is a 24 hr coffee service in the lobby. Plenty of parking, including some spaces with EV charging available. They have a nice looking pool I didn't get to use, exercise room, mini- convenience store in the lobby. I would definitely stay here again.

I had a great experience staying at the Holiday Inn Expree Palm during a work trip. The room was spotless and comfortable, with modern decor and a relaxing atmosphere. The free breakfast was a great bonus—plenty of options and everything was fresh. Check-in was smooth and quick thanks to the friendly and efficient front desk staff. I also appreciated the convenience of free parking. Overall, a great stay and I would definitely come back!

We had tickets for a concert in Palm Desert and found the Holiday Inn Express hotel was one of the closest to the venue. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - it looks like a brand new property that was sparkling clean and the rooms well appointed.

There was plenty of space in the room with a decent sized bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, the AC was sufficient (we chose to sleep with the window open just a little which was perfect) and there was plenty of outlets in the room. Thought there is coffee service in the room (Keurig style pods) one of the benefits of Holiday Inn Express we like is the (included) breakfast. In addition to fresh fruit (oranges, apples, and bananas) there was yogurt, cheese and veggie omelets, turkey and pork sausage and potatoes. I also love their cinnamon rolls (they also have dry cereal and oatmeal). The staff was very friendly and helpful - the accommodations clean and comfortable and with easy freeway access this is a great property in the Palm Springs-Palm Desert area.

This is a really excellent hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean. Basic, but with everything you need. Very good included breakfast in the morning. Great location for concert at Acrisure Arena.

I have been staying at this location probably 20 days out of the year, every year since this location opened. The manager, Jenny, has ALWAYS taken great care of me dating back to when she was just working the front desk. Great prices, as long as Coachella isn't going on, clean rooms and great service.

Beautiful hotel. Very well kept. Great breakfast. Nice pool and hot tub area. Located right off I-10, many restaurants in a short distance. We stayed here on a trip to Joshua Tree NP, would definitely recommend.

I had to book this hotel for a conference. It’s a good holiday inn, nothing special (obviously). This isn’t a luxurious stay by any means. I had a place to sleep and the breakfasts were just fine. I was disappointed in the pool because they advertised a heated pool and it was so cold! I didn’t get to enjoy the pool for my stay. I managed to get in on one of the days it was 100 degrees, but it wasn’t enjoyable so I didn’t stay in it long.

Very professional and extraordinarily friendly! Plus it is ran by Humans. Loved our stay here... The breakfast was very good as well and I was able to take a short, safe walk before the sun started doing it's thing in the desert. Thank you guys, it was a pleasure!! (Doug, from Ben Haggards band)

Located in downtown Joshua Tree, the Joshua Tree Bottle Shop is a small but well-stocked store that specializes in small-production wines under $25. In addition to an excellent beer fridge, it also offers a selection of craft mezcal and other spirits. The shop is open until 8pm on weekends, making it a convenient after-hours spot for those looking to stock up on quality beverages.
Gabrielle and his wife are dedicated to the natural and regenerative wine movement! They have a full offering of beautiful California wines as well as wines from Europe. Very knowledgeable about their craft and very welcoming! I left with two cases of wine. What can I say?
Leah D — Google review
The shop had a clean, minimalistic feel, but the beer selection was underwhelming. Most tasted watered down with barely any fruity flavor. Still, the beer from Joshua Tree Brewery stood out with its iconic style and solid IPA bitterness, worth trying if you like bitter beers.

small shop packed with plenty of local goods. staff was very knowledgeable and pointed me to the Rancho de la Luna mezcal. goes great as a desert water- the lime pairing well with the smokiness of the spirit. the staff was able to share the mezcal’s history and formation out of a local recording studio that has worked with significant artists such as Foo Fighters.

This guy was great. What a simple and easy transaction. I'm a wine NOOB. I walk in and say I want something funky and natural and he's got just the thing, and orange and a red. No funny business, no confusion or analysis paralysis just smooth and easy.
Jacob A — Google review
Was relieved to find some local beer after a few days of searching the area. Plus was recommended some other delicious craft selections. Great NA picks as well! If you want something unique, stop here.

Friendly staff, unique wine selection, and great canned cocktails and beers. This place has it all! I also appreciate the affordable price range for such quality beverages. Clean and welcoming to all. Cheers!

Came in on our first day of our stay and then came back on our way out of town. Grateful for the staff here who gave heartfelt recommendations. Tried an orange wine they had in stock and was NOT disappointed. Great small business to support in the area.

Im SO GLAD I stopped in. I'm local, and Kate, the wonderful woman (and owner), who helped me, was great. She was very knowledgeable, I would guess she is a sommelier, she knows wine and is super helpful and patient. (Literally described the taste and made pairing recommendations for about 10 different bottles) Also had a very keen sense for what's what when it came to finding the perfect wine for me, based on what I told her I like. Not sweet but not to dry, refreshing and crisp!
