Food court
Lot 10 Hutong Food Court, situated in Lot 10 Mall in Kuala Lumpur, is renowned as one of the top food courts in the city. It brings together a selection of local street vendors offering authentic and delectable dishes all under one roof. This makes it a convenient spot for those eager to explore Malaysian cuisine without having to wander around the city.
Authentic flavors all under one roof! Lot 10 Hutong is a hidden gem in the heart of Bukit Bintang! It’s a curated food court that brings together some of the best heritage hawker stalls from across Malaysia. You’ll find legendary names like Kim Lian Kee Hokkien Mee, Soong Kee Beef Noodles, and Ho Weng Kee Wantan Mee — all with decades of history. The place is clean, air-conditioned, and well-maintained, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy traditional street food without the heat and crowds. Prices are slightly higher than typical hawker stalls, but it’s worth it for the convenience, authenticity, and nostalgic flavors. As always, we never miss the Bak Kut Teh here! The small bowl may be on the pricey side, but the rich herbal soup and tender meat make it totally worth the value. A must-try every time we visit. Perfect for tourists who want to try famous local dishes in one place, or for locals craving comfort food. 🍜 Great variety 🧼 Clean environment 💳 Cashless payment available 📍 Centrally located Will definitely come back again!

Lot 10 is a fantastic place to explore if you’re into food, flavour, and a bit of local buzz. Head down the escalators and you’re suddenly in a whole different world – a bustling underground food court packed with the sights, sounds, and smells of street-style cooking. From sizzling woks to steaming bowls of noodles, it’s a real sensory experience. There’s a great variety of local and regional dishes to choose from, all in one place – perfect for trying a few different things. Upstairs, you’ll find more modern eateries and cafés, as well as a decent selection of grocery and specialty shops. Whether you’re after a quick bite, a sit-down meal, or some foodie souvenirs, Lot 10 delivers. A fun and flavoursome stop in the heart of KL!

My wife and I were here today for lunch at this (our favourite in KL) food court. We are from Johor Bahru and we were last here in 2017. It was good to see that this food court has been able to maintain its many "famous" stalls after these years. However, our go-to stalls here are: Kim Lian Kee Hokkien Mee and Lee Kee('s) Imbi Road Original Pork Noodle. And we were happy that these 2 noodle are still very well prepared and delicious as ever. We also like the dining ambience here - spacious, well-ventilated and in air-conditioned comfort. As for the service, it was good enough for us.
Edtayjb — Google review
This place used be such an outstanding forefront of quality, vogue and stylised themed food court. A collection of renowned local food purveyor all under one roof or more like under one basement. Recently revisited to find that it seems to have lost its shine and repute. Most of the outlets are manned by non local workers only. The quality and taste is average and a shadow of its former self original operations and intents. The again, it is still a convenient, comfortable and clean food court, if one is in the vicinity and troublesome to go here and there for the specific local favourites.
James S — Google review
Hutong over the years seem to be deteoriating in the quality and taste of food they serve. I was highly disappointed with the quality and taste of food. For the first time, I had the most bland, single-note, 1 dimensional and just made it to be edible claypot chicken rice. Never before have I had this dish tasting the way it did and even the salted fish was not fragrant. I believe this may not be the only stall where the standard of food has dropped as I should have noted the red flag of hardly anyone having their meal in Hutong on a Friday night. Even though the place still has beautiful decor, plenty of seats, good air conditioning and was clean, the quality of food has really put me off in wanting to return here for potentially future regrettable meals.
J F — Google review
Honestly, being a local I would not eat at this overpriced overrated place. It’s mainly a tourist trap with said local specialty hawker food as so claimed however upon closer look mainly you see foreign workers are hired as cook! To maintain the quality of taste locals are still needed to handle the wok not foreigner cook, why? Cause they can’t tell the difference, and just trained to do so and so forth! We went for a so called Hong Kong traditional wantan mee and it was terrible. The cashier is rude and never smiles to customers. It’s like we have to beg from him at his mercy! The bbq pork was thinly cut with too many tendons and the soup was cold! And what more it was priced at RM18 just for a single served of noodles. C’mon YTL, I’m sure you can do better than that!
David S — Google review
Lot 10 Hutong was founded in 2009 by YTL Corporation's managing director, Tan Sri Francis Yeoh, to preserve Malaysia's culinary heritage by gathering some of the country's most famous and oldest hawker stalls under one roof. Located in the basement of the Lot 10 shopping mall, it is served by the best handpick hawkers in the city and we just loved it. While it’s not run by the original hawkers, they have done well to preserve the taste.
Soo Y — Google review
This place has been upgraded to become so clean and attractive. The Bak kut teh stall has an A rating. Crowded people outside the hutong but inside the eating place is quiet and cool.

Chicken restaurant
Restaurant
Nasi Ayam Hainan Chee Meng in Bukit Bintang is a well-known spot that has been around since the 1960s. The founder, Yeok Kai Seng, has created a winning formula with their chicken rice dish. Whether you prefer silky smooth steamed chicken or roast chicken, both options are served with flavorful sesame and soy sauce alongside rice cooked in chicken stock.
Best food ever in KL ! We are a group of foodie from China and we just love it! The food here is amazing! Best Malaysian food ever found in China, NZ, Australia…. Wherever… loving them! Our favorite is every dish that we had—- hainan chicken, chili prawn, water spinach, Thai, chicken feet cold dish, Chicken oil rice , and even the served free soup was great- fresh not oily at all but with the authentic flavor! Loving it!

People who have visited KL say that this restaurant is a favorite, especially for tourists. - The taste is good, but not too impressive, especially the main menu of Hainanese chicken rice. Favorite is the fried chicken. - The portion is sufficient, you can get four chickens. - Although there is often a queue outside, the service is fast. When the customer finishes eating, the table is immediately prepared. - The service is served by many Indonesians, very helpful for me.
Raden D — Google review
Went here for late lunch or early dinner whatever it is. There are so many people eating here. The table is quite limited so need to wait in queue for the seating. There are lots of foods available from the menu but the most famous one is chicken rice. The rice is good, the waiting time is not long. Service is okay and the restaurant is quite clean too. The price is quite high but yeah it's a famous and significant restaurant plus it is located in the heart of Bukit Bintang so just be it. The atmosphere is good but not really suitable to hang out with friends or family for a long time since there are many people waiting outside for the table.
Hafizun M — Google review
It’s been over 5 years since I last ate at Restoran Nasi Ayam Chee Meng, mostly because it’s always packed, lazy to Q! 😂 But this time, since I’m WFA, I finally went on a weekday so no queue, woohoo! The chicken rice still tastes just as good as ever, but the real MVP goes to the kerabu mangga, solid 1000/10! Never disappoints (totally forgot to take a pic tho 😅). Price wise for nasi ayam, it’s a bit on the pricey side , probably because of the brand. still reasonable!
Ely S — Google review
Even with the long line, this place is a must-visit. My order of salted egg squid, crispy eggplant, neslo (nescafe milo), and teh o limau was absolutely delicious! Everything was freshly made, and the drinks were a great complement. The service was great! But the seating area is quite small, making it hard to get in and out. And just a heads-up, the food is a bit pricey.
Puti A — Google review
First meal at KL! Chicken was tasty, the czechar dishes were great (I had salted egg sotong and fried brinjal). Went at off peak hours after lunch, no wait but restaurant was still pretty crowded!
SH C — Google review
The Hokkien Noodles were just average, nothing special. The Hainanese Chicken Rice was also quite ordinary, the ginger aroma was lacking, and overall it was not the best Hainan rice I’ve had. The rice itself wasn’t very aromatic, though the chicken was tender. The portion, however, felt a bit small. The highlight was the sambal, the sourness was well balanced, not too spicy, and pleasantly aromatic

Nestled in the heart of the city, Dharma Realm Guan Yin Sagely Monastery Food Centre is a top attraction in Malaysia. The monastery's canteen offers an impressive array of over 50 dishes daily from 11am to 2pm, excluding Saturdays and Sundays. From mixed rice to buns and traditional cakes, this food court has something for every palate.
Great dining hall / canteen vegetarian right in the heart of KL. Excellent choices and reasonable pricing. Highly recommended! Attached to a beautiful temple as well for some prayers after food :)

A Hidden Gem for Vegetarian Dining in Kuala Lumpur Nestled within a serene temple in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, this place offers a delightful escape into the world of vegetarian cuisine. This quaint eatery serves humble yet delicious dishes that perfectly cater to the needs of both vegetarians and those looking to explore plant-based options. With its affordable prices, it’s an excellent choice for anyone looking to enjoy a wholesome meal without breaking the bank. The atmosphere during lunch time is vibrant and bustling, reflecting the eatery's popularity among locals and visitors alike. One of the highlights for me is the unique culture of cleanliness encouraged here. Diners are kindly prompted to clean their own plates after meals, fostering a sense of community and respect for the dining environment. As you make your way to the dining area, the entrance and walkway are adorned with Buddhist chants that create a calming and relaxing ambiance. It’s the perfect backdrop for enjoying a meal that nourishes both the body and soul. Overall, this vegetarian restaurant stands out not just for its flavorful vegetarian offerings but also for its inviting atmosphere and commitment to cleanliness. I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur!

Vegetarian Buffet lunch place behind very beautiful and calm Buddhist shrine. You have lot of pure veg options and you can take some of each and they will bill you approximately for all at the end. All food was a bit sweet of lot of soya options so better check if you like spicy and salty food all options are not for you.

Everything is vegetarian and it's good, and the price is affordable. Plenty of people if you come during peak hours. Ensure you have enough cash to make it easy for them. Plenty of seats. The volunteer is so kind.Bring your own plate to the designated area. If you have time please please please help by washing your own plate and cutlery. If you have any food waste separate them from your trash as they compost the food waste but really try not to waste any. Everyone there is a hardworking selfless volunteer. Volunteer with them if you can.

Wanted to try this place for quite sometimes and finally we did it. The food was fresh, full with variety and affordable. It’s such a blessing to have simple home cooked food in the city and it reminds us of our childhood. Definitely will come back again.

A canteen style set up within the Buddhist Monastery located in the middle of the city. It gets crowded during lunch time by all sorts of patrons from office workers to tourists. Food is simple, tasty, home-cooked style, and cheap. You can see the aunties all over the place preparing the veg and fruits, cooking, washing the dishes. It’s truly a community. I ate here everyday during my 1 week stay in KL. They also have a range of desserts/snacks offering and everything was good 😊

Village Park Restaurant is a must-visit for Nasi Lemak enthusiasts, as it is renowned for serving the best rendition of this classic dish. Their specialty, Nasi Lemak with Ayam Goreng Berempah, has gained popularity among locals and tourists alike.

Woke up early one sunday morning just to make a trip to this famous restaurant, for a plate of their signature Nasi Lemak and its worth our effort. Plate of fragrant rice arrived fluffy with each grain clearly separated yet still moist - not sticky or soggy, and lightly infused with coconut milk and pandan. The star was the Fried Chicken - A whole golden-brown leg, its skin shatteringly crisp with flecks of spiced crumbs, while the lightly seasoned meat inside stays tender and juicy. The sambal glossy and rich, tying the rice and chicken together beautifully. On the side, crunchy ikan bilis and peanuts provide that addictive bite, while the egg balances the richness. It’s a plate that feels generous, comforting, and bold all at once for us. We ordered their Fried Noodles and Bee Hoon as well, and although they were not signature dishes, both were well fried and balance in flavours. We didnt like their Bagadil and Potato Curry Puff (Pastry was ok, but fillings had an overwhelming turmeric flavour) though. Overall, we will return just their Nasi Lemak and Ayam Goreng, next time round when in KL again. Good to reach before 8am on Sunday, as we did not encounter any queue and found seats immediately by ourselves as no service staffs attended to us, due to full capacity. However, its better to approach their service staffs for seats, as ordering procedures are rather confusing after that.

Used to be a legendary local food shop with over 20 years of reputation — but those good old days are clearly over. Now even simple food and drinks taste like they came straight from a factory. The “freshly made” meals? Pre-cooked and reheated. The signature coconut rice proudly uses packaged coconut milk — so “fresh,” right? Sotong is as tough as metal, and the prawns taste like they’ve been camping in the fridge for days. Honestly, it’s disappointing to see how far it’s fallen. But hey, maybe you’ll enjoy it — up to you to judge, lol. Thanks for the reply, boss. Maybe that day my timing really unlucky — the “fresh santan” and “morning catch” all take off day together. I’ve been eating here since the real good old days, so I can tell when the taste and freshness go missing. Anyway, no hard feelings — customers can taste the truth better than any explanation. Hope the old flavour makes a comeback someday
Why M — Google review
It was a Sunday outing and we did expect the crowd. The Nasi Lemak: 1. Love the fragrance rice 2. Sambal was my kind of sambal. Well balance between sweet spicy. 3. Chicken - mama'mia lovely. The table setting : It's a mess. All the tables are squash to max the capacity which made it stuffy. I said that because if your next neighbour fart, you will be blessed with whatever aroma definitely. 🤣🤣🤣 So as much as I ❤️ the taste of your Nasi Lemak, if i suddenly crave for it, I will only grab food them to unsure the survival of my Nose
Abe R — Google review
We were mentally prepared for a long queue, but to our surprise, we got a table in less than 20 minutes! Perhaps the restaurant has expanded — there are definitely more seats now. Despite the crowd, both the ordering and serving were impressively efficient — definitely worth a thumbs-up! 👍 Every dish we ordered was delicious, and the drinks were great too. Very satisfying overall, and the prices are reasonable. The only downside is that they don’t accept e-wallet payments.
JYH — Google review
At last, I have the opportunity to taste one of the finest Nasi Lemak in KL. The nasi lemak featuring the deep-fried drumstick was incredibly tender and tasty. The sambal chili had perfect flavor and spiciness. I was informed that sambal cuttlefish is also good and comes in large servings, but it was unavailable when I got there. The morning was already busy with numerous food delivery drivers waiting to pick up their orders. The orders clearly show me its popularity. One should anticipate waiting at least an hour in line during lunchtime... The hours of operation are daily from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Fredy L — Google review
I’ve always been on a quest to find Nasi Lemak that could rival Village Park — and while I’ve discovered some truly good ones along the way, nothing ever beats the consistency of their food quality. Their Nasi Lemak never disappoints — the chicken leg and thigh are always top-notch, juicy, and flavorful, while the rice stays soft, fluffy, and perfectly fragrant every single time. This round, we also ordered Milo Dinosaur, Kaya & Butter Toast, and Half-Boiled Eggs. Even the eggs are clearly of premium quality — I’m quite particular about raw ingredients, and they absolutely nailed it. The pepper tastes refined, the soy sauce is thick and savory, and the bread is toasted to golden perfection, generously layered with butter and kaya (though I personally prefer it a bit thicker). The Milo Dinosaur? Fun and nostalgic — just how it should be. And that Nasi Lemak… still unbeatable. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to again and again. 🍃

Went at 6.30am to avoid the KL jam as well as queue at Village Park. Not my first time having it but once again, very satisfying. Chili - 👍🏼 not too spicy, not too sweet. Suits my palate. Chicken - 👍🏼 Deep fried to perfection and aromatic Rice - 👍🏼 right amount of coconut milk and over powering A very consistence plate of Nasi Lemak. Not to mention. Service is always fast.

Yut Kee Restaurant, a long-standing establishment since 1928, offers traditional Hainanese cuisine for breakfast and lunch. Situated near the Dang Wangi LRT Station in Kuala Lumpur's Chow Kit area, it is known for its specialties such as Roast Pork available on weekends, Pork Chop in savory gravy with vegetables, Chicken Chop served with a flavorful sauce and vegetables, and Kaya Toast paired with soft-boiled eggs.
First time we came here for a meal, after seeing recommendations. We arrive before lunch time and is already quite crowded. There are waiting area in front which is shaded. The waiter arranges the waiting list nicely, and before long we get called and get our seat. The place feels like authentic traditional eatery, where the decoration is period correct and give a good retro experience. I like the retro vibe in the restaurant. We order the famous chicken chop and one ginger chicken rice. The food is nice, retaining traditional taste of street food. The drinks are nice too. When we finish our meal it was peak hours and it is even more crowded. We highly recommend this place for the authentic taste of their food, definitely worth a visit.

A Wonderful Discovery in the Heart of KL During our first trip to Kuala Lumpur, we were looking for authentic local cuisine. After asking one of our drivers for a recommendation, we were guided to this wonderful family-run restaurant — and what a great discovery it was! The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere felt truly authentic, and the service was exceptionally kind. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, a genuinely friendly and welcoming gentleman who made our visit even more special. A beautiful experience that we will definitely remember and highly recommend to anyone looking to taste the real flavors of Kuala Lumpur.

This place is my go to in KL and without fail, amazing consistent quality food everytime. The taste and quality of food is just as i remember it from decades ago. The family who owns it still runs it and very heart-warming to see them interacting with customers and not just leaving it to their staff. Highlights: - My go to for Yut Kee is the Hailam noodles, roti babi (pork french toast), hainanese chicken chop, marble cake and kaya roll. This is the only place I will have Hailam noodles; full of flavour, unassuming and satisfying. - Atmosphere wise, though I miss their original shop, this place is definitely larger in size with more seating. A lot of the charm of the original coffee shop was brought over to this premise. Including the menu board and the photos behind the counter. The Malaysian coffee shop atmosphere is still present for this location and I love that bout this place. - Staff are efficient. Owners are friendly. - Cards and cash accepted. Not sure bout e-wallet (wasnt paying attention for this). - They have a waiting area upfront, shaded and have fans to help manage the heat. - They have toilets onsite - Parking can be a challenge and not terribly close to public transport but easy to order a Grab rideshare service to get here. I highly recommend this place to anyone who like good, old school Hainanese food. If you haven't tried before, this is the place to go to.

Yut Kee is a true Kuala Lumpur institution, a timeless eatery that captures the city’s living culinary heritage with every plate served. Stepping inside feels like a journey back in time — the marble tables, wooden chairs, and familiar hum of regulars all adding to its enduring charm. Its legendary roti babi remains a standout: golden-fried bread stuffed with a savoury mix of minced pork, onions, and Worcestershire sauce, crisp on the outside and tender within. It’s comfort food at its finest, a recipe passed down through generations that still delivers the same unmistakable satisfaction. Equally iconic are Yut Kee’s kaya rolls, soft and airy Swiss rolls filled with rich, house-made coconut jam that tastes unmistakably of tradition and care. Served fresh from the counter, they strike that perfect balance of sweetness and nostalgia, making them the ideal companion to a cup of local kopi. In an age of modern cafés and fleeting trends, Yut Kee endures — not just as a restaurant, but as a cultural landmark, preserving the spirit and flavours of old Kuala Lumpur with pride and authenticity.

A very homey restaurant in Chow Kit area. The place is popular among locals & tourists and is a staple! The place can get pretty packed, so be prepared to queue for a bit. During my last visit, went for a Saturday brunch, and the wait was around 20 minutes. It was still ok, as they have a waiting area in their front yard. But do bring a portable fan (just in case!) because KL weather can be hot. For the food, tried out their Chicken Chop, Roasted Pork (a weekend special), and Beef Porridge. Just a heads up, their portion is hefty and can easily be shared. Chicken Chop was delicious. The chicken was nice & juicy, and the coating gave it a bit of crispness. The gravy was more on the sweet salty side, which complimented the dish. It is also served with fried potatoes & steamed mix veggies. Roasted Pork was superb, the pork was soft & tender and the skin was nice & crunchy. It was well seasoned and goes so well with the sweet apple sauce. Beef Porridge was ok but more on the gingery side. The service was quick & the staff were welcoming. Both are definitely plus points!!!

A very homey eatery. Food came out quickly and flavors were warm and inviting. I ordered the signature chicken chop and roti babi which the shop was known for. Overall, taste was good. Though the chicken chop can a bit crispier. The flavor profile reminds me of Jollibee chicken with gravy. At the end of the day, It is comfort food and part of the food culture people should experience when they are in Malaysia

Saw many good reviews, but after i tried, i will not waste my time and money at this restaurant anymore. Even their signature Hainan Mee, pls dont even think wanna order. Not properly cook, no "wok" hei. Looks like they cook one whole pot and serve when someone order. Same goes to Belacan Fried rice. 🤢🤢🤢 Please don waste your time to try this when you come to KL, there are many nicer food in KL. Unless this restaurant owner will change the way they serve food.(Including get a better chef....etc)

I love the story behind the place being its been in the family for 3 generations. I was excited to eat there as I thought it's famous for a reason especially their kaya toast but we were disappointed. We had better in less known places and just tasted average which is unfortunate. You also have to order everything individually which i found quite odd for breakfast options.

The Ganga Cafe in Bangsar is a popular spot that brings together diverse crowds, from hippies to salarymen, who all share a love for its famous chana bhatura. This dish features crispy fried bread served with masala chickpeas, red onion, and house-made yogurt. The cafe also offers the iconic Pranic Juice made of mint, coriander, lime, honey, cumin and salt.
Looking for a spread with home style cooking, then this is the place! It's daily. On Sundays, there's a special buffet that has a range of dishes, and the menu changes every Sunday. The highlight was the Pani Puri with 6 options of the flavoured water. Each was unique. Standing there & popping each one immediately after it's made is an experience... you lose count of how many you had. The staff are friendly & the owners take pride in engaging with each patron. Ending the meal with masala chai is perfect. There's also coffee. Will certainly revisit.

One of the recommended Indian vegetarian restaurants in town. Love all the food tried here, for sure no mines for you to step on. Just doesn’t have aircond here. Parking here also a bit challenging. Just grab over.

I visited this restaurant because of the roti tissue. Vegetarian and full of flavor! Had the pani puri, roti tissue, and pistachio kulfi—everything was seriously good! The roti tissue isn’t towering high like others, but it’s perfectly paper-thin and so fun to munch on. The pani puri was a flavor explosion and tasted really authentic. The pistachio ice cream was super creamy and packed with pistachio flavor. Love, love, love this place. Great flavors. Will definitely be back!

The Ganga Café • Bangsar is truly a hidden gem for soul-nourishing vegetarian food 🌸 Every dish is prepared with such love and positive energy — you can actually feel the freshness and balance in every bite. 🌿 The staff are always kind and welcoming, and the space carries a peaceful, heartwarming vibe. As someone who values healing through nature and mindful living (from Universe Nature Healer 💜), I deeply appreciate places like this — where food becomes a form of gentle healing. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, clarity, and conscious eating in the heart of Bangsar. 🌼

Super good vegetarian food, Rana was our sever and he was amazing, suggested us this mushroom dish which tasted so good! I've never had anything like it, highly recommend trying this place out if you're in the area! BTW if you ever thought you didn't like brown rice you HAVE to try it here, it's so fluffy and soft 10/10.

Ganga Café in Bangsar is a popular spot for vegetarian fare, offering an all-Indian menu with plenty of choices from thali to dosas and curries. While the food is wholesome and portions are fair, the flavours tend to be on the milder side — so those expecting bold spices or punchy seasoning may find it a little underwhelming. That said, it’s a decent place if you’re after a clean, meat-free meal in a casual café setting. Prices are reasonable, service is friendly, and the variety ensures you’ll find something to suit, even if the overall taste doesn’t quite stand out.

Blown away! Amazing food and super affordable. Masala tea was goooood and their pani puri must order! The vada pav was something new for me and I didn't know it was vegetarian only, and the nasi lemak I ordered with 'mutton' was good, but what surprised me more was the vege bowl I ordered - the sambal tofu and the spiced potatoes. Definitely coming back again!

Tapak Urban Street Dining offers a humble yet exquisite fine dining experience with an award-winning culinary team led by Chef Sharusmizal Salleh. The menu features European dishes infused with local ingredients, earning recognition in both international and local culinary competitions. Located near the Petronas Towers, this spot hosts a variety of food trucks every evening, offering affordable and authentic dinner options including Italian, Mexican, Indonesian, and Malaysian cuisines.
I always enjoy visiting Tapak Urban Street Dining whenever I’m around the KLCC area. It's one of my favorite food truck spots in Kuala Lumpur, offering a wide variety of cuisines that suit almost every taste — from local Malaysian flavors to Thai, Western, Japanese, and fusion dishes. Whether you’re craving burgers, satay, sushi, or nasi lemak, you’re likely to find something that hits the spot. One thing I always look forward to here is their refreshing fresh juices and the delicious pancakes — soft, fluffy, and topped generously. They're definitely a must-try if you visit! While I do wish there were some Middle Eastern food options (like shawarma, kebab, or falafel) to add more variety, that hasn’t stopped me from coming back regularly. The overall vibe, with the open-air seating and lively atmosphere, is perfect for a casual dinner with friends or even a solo outing. It’s also located very close to KLCC, which makes it an ideal and budget-friendly spot for tourists who want to enjoy a fun, local food experience without spending too much. The place tends to get busy in the evenings, so I recommend coming a bit earlier to grab a good spot. In short, Tapak is a great place to explore diverse street food, hang out, and enjoy the city lights with good vibes all around.

The vibe here so good…the food quite expensive rm13 for kueyteow goreng and 20 for three drinks.I know it is common in Kuala Lumpur but the quality of the food and drink didn’t match with the price. Overall can enjoy for lepak but not if you are hungry

This place is located in the city center not far from the twin tower. This is work like a food court you can buy food from any restaurant locate around the place and then you pick it up to your shared table. Almost all restaurant are food trucks and overall atmosphere is very good. It is 100% outdoor place but weather is quite good when we came. They also have a mini concert here. Food price is reasonable and taste is ok.

I ordered an avocado shake at Pak Lah stall. Firstly, its not a freshly made drink as they took the drink from the fridge and secondly the drink tasted like 100% sugar more than the taste of the avocado. As told by the seller when we complained that the drink used “gula perang”. We understand that it advertised it that way, but it should not taste like 100% sugar. This place is overpriced and not recommended.

★★★★★ I came to Tapak and tried the Shawmy (shawarma) from Mano E Mano - honestly, it blew me away! shawarma was packed with flavor, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I ended up ordering the Family Shawarma set to share with my family, and everyone loved it - not a single piece was left behind! If you're at Tapak, this is a MUST-TRY. Trust me, once you taste it, you'll keep coming back!

Restaurant
Capitol Cafe, located in Bukit Bintang, offers a local coffee shop experience with a Malaysian twist. Instead of the usual espresso and cappuccinos, patrons can enjoy traditional favorites like Nescafe ice, kopi-o, and teh ice. The cafe's interior exudes nostalgia with its wooden chairs, marble tables, and elegant mosaic tile decorations. It's an ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring the city.
My wife and I were here this morning for a light breakfast - we are visiting Kuala Lumpur from Johor Bahru. We heard a lot about this historic kopitiam and as our hotel was nearby, we decided to give a try. And we were NOT DISAPPOINTED in the very least. The kopitiam is tucked away in the heart of bustling Bukit Bintang amidst many modern shopping malls, but the looks and the dining ambience of this kopitiam throws you back to a nostalgic past of the 1960s. We ordered a "Ho Ga Sai Set" and a "Telur Goyang Set" as well as couple of Kuih Lapis, and all of the aforementioned were excellent in our opinion. For example the eggs served here were of quality and soft-boiled just right, the kaya was of pandan infused, and the drinks were on point. And the service here was very good - very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this kopitiam in Bukit Bintang if you are visiting Kuala Lumpur.

Been wanting to come here since 2 years ago and finally made it today for lunch. The usual crowds for rush hour but we were fortunate to be seated in front of the welcoming signboard and met the owner too 😊. It was a warm hospitality that after 5min chat we ordered Nasi Lemak Ayam Special set lunch and cendol. IMHO the nasi lemak was among the best I'd tasted and it made my trip worthwhile.

🍽️ Capitol Café – A Hidden Gem in KL That Feels Like Home 🇲🇾 Capitol Café quickly became one of my favorite places to eat in Kuala Lumpur! 💕 The vibe is casual and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly friendly — they make you feel right at home the moment you walk in. 🍛 Food & Portions The food? Absolutely delicious! 🤤 From local Malaysian dishes to comforting Asian classics, everything we tried was flavorful and freshly made. The servings are generous, so you’ll definitely leave with a full and happy tummy. It’s perfect for sharing or indulging solo! 💸 Value for Money What I love most is how budget-friendly it is — you get amazing portions and taste without breaking the bank. It’s such a great spot for both locals and travelers who want good food at a fair price. ☕ Atmosphere The café has a nice local charm, with a mix of old-school and modern touches. It’s a great place to grab breakfast, lunch, or even a relaxed dinner with friends. ⭐ Overall Rating: 9.5/10 Friendly people, big portions, and great prices — Capitol Café truly captures the heart of Malaysian hospitality and flavor. Definitely a must-visit when you’re in KL! 🌟

Advertised itself it has the best Nasi lemak. As someone who tasted nasi lemak around KL and PJ. It isn't the best. From Village park to kampung baru. A bit of smell from the anchovies, I've tasted better sambal and the rice lacks lemak. Fried Chicken is great. Lemon juice is meh...
Mak ( — Google review
First time at Capitol Café and I have to say, this might just be the best nasi lemak in town. The chilli is no joke – the fiery, lips-burning type that keeps you coming back for more. The fried chicken is outstanding, probably the best I’ve ever had – super crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Their HoGaSai (Milo + Kopi) is a must-try, really “gao” and flavourful – the perfect balance. The curry chicken chee cheong fun is also pretty decent, though the nasi lemak and chicken definitely stole the show for me. If you’re in the area, this place is worth a visit.

The fried chicken that comes with nasi lemak was really good. Crispy on the outside and the meat is juicy. Sambal chilli was spicy and goes well with the rice and chicken.

Mansion Tea Stall Al-Amna Restaurant is a no-frills hawker stand located on the edge of the Klang River in Kuala Lumpur. Despite its unassuming location, it has gained popularity among food enthusiasts and tourists, especially after being featured in a Migrationology video. The restaurant offers a variety of affordable Indian dishes, including roti canai flatbread with curry and milky teh tarik tea.
I’ve been here twice the taste and quality stays the same for years. Love the roti canai and egg combo. It’s affordable and very filling. One cons from my second visit is that now it seems people can smoke while eating here, it was not the case 2 years ago.

The roti canai is cheap and delicious. It is filled with dhal and paired with runny eggs and sambal. I would recommend if you live in KL Masjid India. Also got me goreng and nasi lemak (very nice and spicy also).

Stopped by at 5am on a Monday morning, while doing my laundry next door, and so happy I did. I ordered Roti banjir special and a hot tea. It's was delicious. Not sure of the price though as a fellow early morning diner kindly offered to pay for me. Malaysians are awesome. 😊

AVOID!! (Indian with Indian palate here) I don't know how anyone can screw up a flaky Paratha, yellow daal and fried eggs... But these guys managed. Their Roti Canai 'special' was a putrid mess. We had a nice Indian (or Pakistani) waiter was helpful with translating/explaining what some of the dishes were. Only saving grace was a Maggi noodle dish served with chicken. And it's Cash only. Anyways. AVOID.

Went on weekend morning, 8.30am. Speciality is roti canai. Saw many ordered roti banjir and telor goyang. They take cash only. Parking is easy for motor. Service was fast. There's a mountain of roti canai ready to be served.

[Original reviews] Kari Ayam simply sensational. Breakfast Special is stunning! Outstanding Kari Kambing. Big chunk of juicy mutton half the size of your fist. Excellent curry spicing. Returned for second visit last night. Kari Kambing you can cut with a spoon! Deep, rich spicing. Also ordered Kari Ayam. Whole leg. Indescribably soft and tender. Different curry sauce to the Kambing but equally delicious and rich. Simply outstanding. [Update with edits, 05.25:] I've now eaten here 100+ times since ~2015, at many different times of the day, always excellent, sometimes sublime. Now back home in Kuala Lumpur after Covid-19 pandemic and Mansion Tea Stall is absolutely just as excellent as it ever was. Visited 5 times already in five days, including bringing friends (who loved it!) for Roti Banjir Special and Kari Kambing (tender, juicy, tasty, easily the best in KL - see latest photo). Communal style dining, often have great conversations with other customers, from musicians and artists to senior Muslim clerics.

Roti Special, no expectation before and decided to try after watching Youtube video. Sauce was curry and sambal. Roti was good. Teh Taric was good. Overall I enjoyed my lunch.
Billie S — Google review
Went there on Thu morning and it was almost full house. Ordered maggi goreng, special roti canai, tek tarik (hot), and neslo (ice). Total cost was about 16.50rm. Drinks were so-so, but more on the sweeter end. Maggi goreng is delicious! Not oily but very flavourful and the chilli has the kick (better than the ones I had in SG). Must try! The special roti canai (roti canai with sweet curry and 2 runny eggs) tasted weird for us. The roti canai is very doughy. Don't really like the taste and texture of this dish. I won't recommend it. The shop is right beside the road, it may be considered dirty for those who are concerned about cleanliness and hygiene. And it is quite popular among the folks there, you may need to leave asap once done with eating. =)

Food court
Tang City Food Court is a bustling hub of Malaysian food culture, offering a wide array of Asian flavors at budget-friendly prices. Located in the heart of Chinatown, it's a popular choice for both locals and tourists. The lively atmosphere and diverse range of hawker stalls make it an ideal spot to experience the local dining scene. While slightly more touristy than other food courts in the area, it remains a fantastic option for a satisfying lunch or casual dinner.
Tang City Food Court, tucked into the heart of Chinatown, serves up a wide variety of Malaysian Chinese hawker fare in a lively, indoor-style setting. With stalls offering char kuey teow, pan mee, claypot dishes, and more, it’s a convenient and flavorful stop—especially if you're exploring Petaling Street. The atmosphere is energetic (some say a bit chaotic), tables are basic plastic, and service is hit-or-miss—but you’ll get your food quickly and the vendors bring it right to your table. Prices lean slightly higher than tucked-away local spots, but still good value considering the central location. If you're after variety and a slice of local dining culture in a sheltered, convenient setup, Tang City is worth the visit. For the best experience, head there during off-peak hours and order popular local dishes. A solid mid-range option for tourists and locals alike.
Verdinand T — Google review
Tang City food court is more like a large coffee shop with several local food stalls offering some of the best Malaysian Chinese dishes. However, there's a lot of foreigners running the stalls, and I'll avoid those. Usually I eat at the original local stalls like the chee cheong fun and fried koay teow, which is safer in terms of taste.

A food court located inside the Jalan Petaling street. Most of the popular and crowded stalls operate from the morning till 1- 2pm. The porridge and Char Kway Tiao stalls were one of those most stalls here. Food court was airy and comfortable for dining in. Good to visit for breakfast.

Am back, the quality of food here dropped even more. If can, not necessary to come here. If you had to choose, would recommend the stalls with blue plates like the Beef Noodles and Wanton Mee. Boat Noodle at NU Sentral is renowned for its boat noodles, drawing in crowds during lunchtime. While the mini serves of noodles are popular, the rice combos and mains should not be overlooked. The restaurant offers authentic Thai cuisine that is halal, capturing the true flavors of Thailand with an array of traditional condiments on each table. The Pad Kra Pow (chicken with holy basil) is particularly noteworthy for its bold and authentic spice levels.
I visited the boat noodle restaurant with my husband and son, and we had a wonderful experience. The service was warm and attentive from the moment we walked in. The staff made sure we were comfortable and took the time to explain the menu. The food was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and generous portions. We especially loved how everything was served fresh and hot. Even my son enjoyed it, which says a lot! The place was clean, cozy, and had a nice atmosphere—perfect for a casual family outing. We’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for tasty Thai noodles and great service!

Had a quick dinner with friend and his sons. It was my first time at this mall outlet. Fast service. Taste is maintained, same like in the other outlet I dined before. Courteous staff. Nice ambience. Affordable price.
Ilamaran R — Google review
I prefer the Sunway Putra Mall branch bcz the staff are friendly and more helpful there. They also provide extra seasonings like dried chili and soy sauce, which make the noodles taste better. At this branch, those seasonings are not available, so the noodles taste too sweet and not like the usual spicy and sour Thai flavor. I usually adjust the taste myself, but I couldn’t do that here. The Lava Egg Krapow was luckily already tasty. But for the Tom Yum Chef Mai, the price is not worth it. It costs RM10.90, but the portion is very small with big bowl. You can get the same amount with other noodle options for only RM2.80. Also, there’s no sink here to wash your hands. #I want to sit for 4 persons bcz I know I eat a lot. But, staff didn’t allow me. So, okay then.. the staff and table force me to buy a small portion. Haha

I ordered this set for lunch. But they didn’t have Pandan water that came with the set. So I asked if they had any alternative drinks to replace it since their Pandan water was sold out. But they didn’t have any other drinks, only kept insisting me to add-on Thai milk tea which I had to top up RM3.50 Then I had to upgrade the drink to Thai Tea and paid extra 3.50 just because of that. I know overall this is still cheaper than ordering a la carte. But still, they should have prepared this better. It’s not fair to the customers.

Tried Boat Noodle again and it didn’t disappoint! The food was flavorful and served hot – I especially enjoyed the signature boat noodles and crispy snacks on the side. The staff was friendly and attentive, creating a very welcoming atmosphere. However, just a small note: our table wasn’t fully set up when we arrived (no plates were provided), so we had to request them later. Not a big issue, but hope it can be improved next time. Still, a good spot for casual meals and catching up with friends! 🍜💛 #BoatNoodle #MalaysianFood #KLFoodie #MustTry #NoodleLover #FriendlyStaff #GoodVibes #FoodReview #LocalGuide #VannaMaps

I came here to eat at around 7:50 PM. The food was very delicious, but the service from two staff members left me extremely disappointed. I asked them for two empty bowls and some chili, but after a long time, there was no response, even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy. They still had time to chat and sit around. The second time I made the request to another staff member, I was also ignored. When I rang the service bell the third time, they brought me a bowl of beef balls??? I really don’t understand how they handle customer requests. My friend is a local Malaysian, we speak very clearly . Great food, but terrible service experience.
VĂN A — Google review
Awful. I had lunch here. Ordered plain rice and chicken. They only brought chicken 20 minutes after rice. And guess how much this chicken? RM18.9 Never in my life go back, never!
Quang L — Google review
The food is really authentic Thai, even though it's halal. This is impressive because most halal Thai places can't quite capture the same flavors since some ingredients are different. Here, the boat noodles taste exactly like you'd get in Thailand, and they even have all the usual Thai condiments on the table. Their Pad Kra Pow (chicken with holy basil) is fantastic! The chef doesn't hold back on the spice like some places do, which makes it taste really authentic to me. I know some people can't handle a lot of heat, so they offer a non-spicy version too. The portions for the noodles might be a bit smaller than other similar type restaurants, and they may cost a little more. But, you're definitely paying for the more authentic taste. The wait time for my food was okay, especially considering it was a Saturday night. My Pad Kra Pow took a bit longer, but everything else came out quickly. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant has a nice, cozy atmosphere.

This street is the epitome of food paradise. Dazzling billboard-size signs will entice you to have a feast on sea food and other menu items. All restaurants are packed full, meaning they're all damn good!! High competition amongst them leaves no places for mediocre chefs. My 2nd time eating here, same menu, same treatment. Dissapointed on how little the portion of the peria. The mamak pretend to put twice, but the 2nd one just one or two of the small pieces. When I asked to tambah he purposedly put at other side to make it look twice the portion. Funny how the one time 2nd scoop has more peria than the initial first 2 scoop. That’s just low. P/s: They also hide the normal ayam goreng at the dapur during peak lunch hour to sell the more pricier ayam goreng berempah.

Fried chicken was COLD. By that I didn’t mean it’s room temperature, it literally tastes like just out from the fridge itself. Feedback this to the Malay lady with good tone, got her reply “Don’t simply make up lies, jangan fitnah” and all I do is giving honest feedback. 😌

You can also order based the menu however they are slow to cook it and you will end up waiting for quite long on non peak period and even much longer during peak period. Went for lunch just now Fried chicken is still raw My colleague's fried chicken is not exactly fully cooked also First and last time , food is tasteless and has no flavours. Utterly disappointed. Can't believe that they charge rm13 for raw chicken with rice

Service so bad especially the Malay woman because her face like I owe her hundred millions lol. Asking her to help me chop the fried chicken and she rolled her eyes such a terrible attitude. Maggie goreng also soggy.

TG's Bistro is not your average Mamak joint; it offers a wide array of delectable dishes that are beloved by the locals. Its affordability and diverse menu make it a must-visit spot in Kuala Lumpur. Operating 24/7, this eatery ensures you never miss out on its scrumptious offerings. What sets this place apart is its round-the-clock service, allowing you to savor breakfast at any hour.
Really good place to visit in Malaysia. Decent price that is no overpriced due the viral moment. Really recommend this place. Definitely will come again on my next vacation. Staffs are very friendly. To avoid line up come before 12pm or it will be cloudy and needed to wait in queue.

Tried the cheese naan this time around with fresh coconut water, and it was SO good. This is my family’s go-to place for dinner or for supper as it has a very nice atmosphere and the food is really good. Service here is also top notch.

Ordered garlic Roti Canai and plain roti canai. Customers came after me was served before me. The curry was extremely diluted and watery. All the staff had savour long face. While being seated on the table having coffee one of the staff was mopping the floor hit the table leg which I was seated on and did not even bother to say sorry. He completely ignored and went on mopping like nothing happened. When my food was late as I asked I was not given proper response. They were all seated just giving hand signals tht food is coming with sulky face. Went to pay at the cashier. The guy collected the card keyed in the price n chucked the card in front of me with sulky face. Went there at 5am on 26th Sept 2025.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tried TG’s Bistro and ordered the **roti tisu**. The presentation looked nice and crispy, but the taste was just average — not so sweet . Service was okay and the place was quite casual, but nothing particularly stood out. Overall, a decent spot if you’re nearby, but not something I’d go out of my way for.

we came because the giant cake and it really funny and suitable for taking photos. The milk tea is super delicious but garlic chicken really dried, the giant cake is not suitable for eating hic. The nasi noodles over salty that we cant eat. Luckily the staff really nice and they acp to paid by card

I had garlic bread and ginger milk tea here — both were absolutely delicious! I had my breakfast at this place, and the ginger milk tea was especially amazing. Prices are also quite reasonable. It’s located just behind Kuala Lumpur’s famous street food area and is very central. Definitely worth a visit!

Butter chicken was good. Could have been seasoned more. The menu should just include Indian food and not sth from Thailand etc.

🥘✨ TG’s Bistro – the place where Indian food meets viral Instagram trends! Let’s be real—I came for the Roti Tissue, and yes, it was all drama and zero flavor 😅 Super photogenic, but definitely not the highlight taste-wise. BUT… the butter chicken? Absolutely soft and melt-in-your-mouth. So flavorful I almost forgave the portion size (yeah, it’s a bit small). 🧄🧀 Also obsessed with their cheese garlic naan—fluffy, fragrant, and the perfect sidekick to all the curries. If you're looking for viral-worthy dishes and solid Indian staples, this place knows the balance. 📸 Pro tip: Snap the Roti Tissue for the ‘Gram, then devour the butter chicken for your soul. #TGsBistro #RotiTissueTrend #ButterChickenGoals #KualaLumpurEats #ellies.taste

Cielo Rooftop - Dining and Lounge in Kuala Lumpur is a top choice for a romantic dining experience, making it perfect for special occasions or a memorable date night. The restaurant's gourmet menu focuses on seafood dishes like Akami Tuna Tartare, Grilled Octopus, Pan-seared Scallops, Lobster, Marinated King Salmon, and Patagonian Toothfish.
Brought a friend for a birthday dinner on a Monday night. Not crowded and they placed us in a nice spot at the upper deck because I asked nicely. Food was good, Titara and Andrew were fantastic servers, atmosphere was perfect for talking. They were not rushing us at all. Overall an experience that still makes me smile when I think back about it. My review is only valid for weekday experiences.

Overall I had an okay time there , the food was good but pricey. Staff were attentive and friendly. Although I felt the restaurant seemed a bit old and could definitely do with some sort of renovation to modernize the feel. The views were pretty good as it was a rooftop venue.
Ryan L — Google review
TL;DR: This place tries to be fine dining, but it isn’t. Perhaps a place that fits the westerners, but as an Asian girlie I’d suggest that you go elsewhere. Food is over-priced, tastes subpar, music is way too loud and open concept made it feel humid. For detailed reviews: Views The view is pretty only if your table faces KLCC. From other angles you’re mostly looking at a big concrete roof and less scenic parts of KL, which breaks the “wow” factor a rooftop restaurant is supposed to have. Comfort It’s fully open air. They had standing air-con units and fans, but I still got sweaty quickly. If you sweat easily and don’t love humidity, note that you won’t get that cool, enclosed, date-night feel. Food Tastes were decent but not memorable. For the price, I expected more depth in flavour, and creativity in execution. It felt like you’re paying for the rooftop setting rather than what’s on the plate. If I’m spending that much, I want a dish that makes me pause and go, “okay, worth it.” This wasn’t that. Service Polite, prompt and attentive, but too eager. Plates were cleared almost the moment we put our cutlery down, with repeated “are you done, can we clear this?” interruptions. The dessert menu arrived almost immediately after the mains. It cut into our conversation and made the meal feel rushed. Service crew needs to learn to read the room a little more. We weren’t even crossing the time limit, it was barely an hour in. Vibe Music was on the louder side and the bar crowd got loud fairly quickly. It felt more like a drinks-with-friends over dinner spot than a calm, romantic place where you dress up and enjoy a slow dinner. Verdict If you want sunset cocktails and a KLCC backdrop, it does the job (as long as you snag that view). For a special-occasion dinner where you’re expecting air-conditioning, unhurried pacing and food that matches the premium price, I’d pick somewhere else.

My dad brought my family and me to Cielon for my birthday on 5/10/25. I would say it’s quite pricey, and the food was just okay. The view was great since it’s an outdoor seating area, and the waiters were friendly and attentive. However, there was one unpleasant incident that spoiled our experience — the valet guy was extremely rude to my dad. It was our first time visiting that building, and we were unsure about the parking system. We saw a sign pointing to the parking area, which turned out to be an elevated parking. There was no one stationed there to inform us about the procedure, so we followed the steps displayed. Before we could even finish reading the last step, the valet guy was already staring at us and waiting for us to come out. When my dad politely asked what we should do next, the valet guy replied rudely, “FIRST YOU READ THE STEPS LA.” My dad was clearly offended, and the guy didn’t even apologize afterward. He just said only one person should park or hand over the car to the valet but honestly, how would we know that when there were no proper instructions outside the parking area? I was really disappointed by his behavior. It completely ruined what was supposed to be a special day for me. Maybe he acted that way because we drove a Myvi, which is unfair. We spent over RM2400 on dinner, and no one should be judged or treated differently based on their car or appearance.

2nd time here. First time was when my and my girlfriend started dating and this was one of our first dates. This time around, decided to propose here with the KL skyline as a backdrop. Quite pricey but the food was good and the ambience was chill. Of course the views were amazing. You get a clear view of the Petronas twin towers, TRX, Pavilion Mall and the top portion of the Merdeka 118. Overall a good place if you are trying to impress a new date or celebrate/perform a big step in your life

My reply to the response: My bill was not far from the reservation policy. We did not come just for a drink. The amount of photos posted explained what we ate and I believe flexibility of customer service will go a long way on a weeknight. We were ready to spend...it was not crowded on a weekday but these people rather let the good view seats empty and not letting us to enjoy the view.We were here to celebrate my son's birtgday on a weeknight. Such ashame that they did not chance on an opportunity to soar for service excellence.

Chinese restaurant
Located on Jalan Alor Street, Wong Ah Wah Restaurant (W.A.W) is a popular Chinese Zi Char restaurant in Kuala Lumpur with over 70 years of history. What started as a humble stall has now expanded to five stalls in a row. The restaurant is renowned for its barbecued chicken wings, which are a favorite among both locals and tourists. Visitors can expect to enjoy other Malaysian and Chinese dishes such as noodles and satay sticks at this bustling street-side joint.
My night at Jalan Alor in Kuala Lumpur was an unforgettable culinary adventure. The atmosphere was electric, a perfect blend of sizzling woks, lively chatter, and the irresistible aroma of grilling food. The evening started with the famous chicken wings. They lived up to the hype, boasting a wonderfully charred, smoky flavour from the grill that was simply divine. Next, the sour and spicy crab was a revelation. The tangy, piquant sauce was incredibly appetizing and woke up my entire palate. It was messy to eat but worth every sticky finger. The butter prawns were another highlight—rich, creamy, and packed with flavour. The satay skewers were perfectly grilled, but the real star was the accompanying peanut sauce; it was thick, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. To cut through the richness, the sour calamansi drink was a refreshing, zesty lifesaver. We couldn't end the night without sampling Malaysia’s king of fruits. At a nearby stall, we tried five different varieties of durian. Each one offered a unique taste and texture, from bittersweet and creamy to subtly sweet and fibrous. It was the perfect, powerful finale to an incredible feast. Jalan Alor is a true food paradise that every traveller must experience.

The food tastes average, nothing fancy. Most of the grilled fish’s are tasteless. Staff is very hectic but helpful. This is a very busy restaurant among tourists. Decent time taken to serve the food but not all at once. Some came at the end. The fresh drinks are a waste. Better to drink some soda. Outside seating area is very hot. No fans. Try the noodles and fried rice. One two things we found tasty. 😋
Priyanga C — Google review
Grilled chicken wings are juicy and edible, stir-fried water spinach with garlic is delicious. The bbq meat (?) tastes like it has tamarind sauce, tofu is normal, a bit too much, small shrimp, no minced meat as expected. The restaurant does not have dry paper, wet paper is charged
Tam T — Google review
Haven’t been back to W.A.W for a long time, and I’ve been reminiscing about those days when my friends and I used to eat here after clubbing. So I decided to come by to relive the memory. The food still tastes the same, but the service and pricing no longer justify the experience. The uncle who took our order was a little intimidating at first, but once we spoke in Malaysian Cantonese, his attitude became noticeably friendlier. One thing to note: say no when they place wet tissues on your table, otherwise they will add them to your bill. I mentioned that I didn’t want them, but in the end they only deducted RM1.40, which felt too little considering what I ordered. For reference, I ordered a pair of wings, Hokkien mee for one, and salted egg squid, and the bill came up to almost RM60, which I found quite unreasonable. I went on a Sunday evening, and the place was filled mostly with tourists rather than locals. I guess the restaurant has changed over the years. It used to be a popular spot for locals to dine as well, but perhaps I was wrong to assume that since it has been so long since my last visit.

Extensive menu, big restaurant, a lot of staff. Overall food was good. We received a plate of empty snails, seems like they were already ate and they recooked them and served them to us. Even the waitress tried them and noticed they were emptied.. The other plate of clams arrived at a cool temperature, we had to ask to steam them a bit more so we can open them lol.. Seriously, food was served quickly but it came at a cost
Max C — Google review
No need to queue, yet the place is consistently busy — clearly a spot popular with tourists. The chicken wings are decent (though I remember them tasting better a decade ago). The satay is flavorful, but half of it is just fat and tendon. Other dishes are passable, but lack authenticity. Watch out: they’ll charge you for tissues without mentioning it, and someone might come to collect payment before all the food is even served. Very smoky outside.
W. L — Google review
Came here with high hopes! Food was not bad — satay was tasty, and the chicken wings were really good . But honestly, the service really disappointed us. The uncle seemed like he didn’t want our business, dropped the entire menu file on my friend without even apologising 🥺 and his attitude also very off. Food can be nice, but service really makes the difference.
Min G — Google review
Only the chicken wings is delicious. Other foods taste below my expectation. Service crew are rude and no patience to wait for your order. Many restaurants can go to try , not only Alor streets. Price here is expensive.

A true five-star experience in every sense. From the warm welcome to the impeccable farewell, every detail was thoughtfully designed for maximum comfort. The room was a perfect blend of elegance and modern luxury, and the facilities are truly world-class. Service was flawless, warm, and genuinely caring — the staff made me feel valued and pampered throughout my stay. The atmosphere was serene, yet effortlessly sophisticated. Worth every penny — I can’t wait to come back.

Having stayed at another so-called five-star hotel in KL, I didn’t have the highest expectations—yet this experience truly blew me away! My partner and I stayed at the Equator Club Suite, and we couldn’t have been happier with the entire stay: from the warm service and delicious food to the spacious room and thoughtful generosity. The team consistently went above and beyond, and I sincerely appreciate everyone for excelling in their roles. Special thanks to Anna, who patiently guided me through the booking process months in advance and answered all my questions, and to Sofi, who beautifully arranged the anniversary room decorations and communicated so well throughout. The Equator Club Suite really sets the standard for luxury—nearly perfection. The breathtaking views, spacious design, and outstanding level of service made us feel truly valued. As a first-time guest in KL, I especially appreciated how much the staff prioritized customer care. While many big-name hotels exist in the city, what makes EQ stand out is the exceptional overall experience, which is worth far more than just a name. To anyone reading this: I wholeheartedly recommend choosing EQ without hesitation. Once you find the best, there’s no need to look further. Thank you again to the entire EQ team for creating an unforgettable experience. I will definitely be returning soon with my partner!

Excellant stay in this modern, luxurious well placed hotel. They know what they want to be and go about it very intentionally. Staff are excellant, warm welcomes and keenness to help is everywhere. Rooms spacious and modern, while retaining warmth. Food options very good from breakfast to a Japanese restaurant. Skylar on 51 with excellent views. Neighborhood has some bars and restaurants close by. Top quality beds, pillows and shower.

The hotel rooms, and beds are super comfortable. I found not functioning as well as I wanted it-housekeeping sent someone up within 10 mins. He changed filters and whatnot-much better. Still a tad warm but I was happy. Their gym is good and 24/7. Breakfast nice spread. Location is very central-Ì was very happy. The best bit all the staff are super helpfull. The day before my airport trip-the concierge guy took me through several options and advised on timing to get to the airport. When I arrived at the airport early-realised I forgot my passport in the hotel safe. Was a looking at a mini catastrophe. Izard to the rescue again. By some miracle he got to airport at rush hour in about 60 minutes! So about an hour 15 minutes from the time Ì made the call And gave them to me. All I had was a small service to the hotel which he explained before hand. I will not stay anywhere else again.

I recently had the pleasure of attending a gathering of old friends at Nipah, EQ and it was truly a memorable dining experience. The buffet offered a well-curated selection — not overwhelmingly extensive, yet impressively varied, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The flavours were refined and satisfying, from the main courses to the delectable desserts. Every bite reflected quality and attention to detail, making it clear that the focus was on excellence rather than excess. Equally commendable was the service, which was above par — attentive, courteous, and genuinely warm, adding a personal touch to the afternoon. The elegant ambiance, paired with such exceptional service, created the perfect setting for good food and meaningful conversation. Overall, I would rate the food a well-deserved five stars, and highly recommend EQ for those seeking a sophisticated buffet experience in the heart of the city.

We had a wonderful stay at EQ! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We were a group of six across three rooms, and they kindly arranged for us to be on the same floor, which made things so much easier. The rooms were lovely—spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was great, and we especially appreciated the thoughtful acknowledgment of our upcoming 35th wedding anniversary. It was such a nice touch! Breakfast was included in our booking, and the selection was outstanding—something for everyone. We also really enjoyed our cocktails at Sky51; the view from up there is absolutely breathtaking. The only small downside was the pillow. I found it a bit too firm for my liking, and the extra pillow in the wardrobe was memory foam, which isn’t my preference. A pillow menu would have made the stay perfect—but honestly, that’s a very minor detail. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and I would gladly return. I’m already looking forward to the next time!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 6/5 if I could — EQ truly exceeded every expectation! My wife and I stayed for 6 nights in the EQ Club King Room with breakfast included, and honestly, we loved every single thing about our stay. From the moment we checked in, everything just felt effortless — the design, comfort, food, and location are all an easy 10/10. We had the option of breakfast either downstairs or in the Club Lounge, and after trying both, we ended up having breakfast in the EQ Lounge every day — it was peaceful, quiet, and personal, which we both loved. The food was always fresh and beautifully presented. A special mention must go to Shafic (or Safic) in the lounge — what an incredible person! Always welcoming, always friendly, and he remembered our names and preferences from the start. His warmth and genuine hospitality honestly made our mornings something to look forward to. On the one day he wasn’t there, we actually found ourselves saying we missed him — that’s how much he added to our experience. Our room was fantastic — spotless, modern, and extremely comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully designed. The pool area was another highlight — stunning views, great loungers, and that warm jet pool (I forget the name!) was a favourite of mine after long days out. The gym was also excellent — not an afterthought like in many hotels, but fully equipped and perfectly maintained. Every staff member we encountered, from check-in to housekeeping, greeted us with a smile. We never once felt out of place or overlooked — something that really stood out to us throughout our stay. I’ve been fortunate to travel quite a bit and stay in some amazing 5-star hotels around the world. To be honest, I was a little hesitant to book EQ at first because it wasn’t part of a “big name” hotel chain. But I can confidently say this was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in — and without a doubt, if I ever come back to Kuala Lumpur, EQ is exactly where I’ll stay again. Always Ikraam&atiyya ❤️
Iks — Google review
I am writing this review in the hope that EQ management will address some service inconsistencies my team and I experienced. During check-in/parking, I found one of the front desk staff to be quite unfriendly when I requested TnG card validation for parking. A more patient and helpful demeanor would be expected. Furthermore, while attending a training session in your meeting rooms, I was informed by a male staff member that pens were out of stock. This was confusing, as other attendees were able to acquire pens. For a business hotel, ensuring all guests have essential stationery is a basic requirement. The EQ has a great reputation, but these seemingly minor service failures impact the overall perception. I hope this feedback is taken constructively to improve staff training and resource management for future guests.

We visited Mandarin Grill in April when we were back in Malaysia for a simple weekday dinner. Although we had made a reservation beforehand, there seemed to be some confusion upon our arrival as our name was not on the list. The front desk escorted us into the restaurant, then left us unattended while they rechecked the reservation again. This felt unnecessary, especially since only three tables were occupied at the time. Eventually, a waiter noticed us and guided us to our seats. It took nearly 15 minutes before menus were brought to us, and even then only the food and wine list were provided and not the beverage menu. We had to ask twice before it finally arrived. It felt as though the place was understaffed. We were expecting a better service for a restaurant in a renowned five-star hotel For the night, we ordered the beef tail broth soup and bone marrow as starters, and the Argentinian beef Wellington which recommendation serving is for two and mashed potatoes and two drinks on the side. We were served a complimentary scallop ceviche with garlic and caviar that was exquisitely good, along with a basket of assorted breads. Drinks, however, took awhile to arrive, as we saw it came from not within the restaurant, likely from another bar or outlet within the premises. The bone marrow with parsley and garlic crumb was a great combination and the rich melted marrow paired beautifully with the sourdough bread or just by itself. The beef tail broth soup served with 5 small tortellini was pleasant but fairly average. The beef wellington came gorgeously, served with buttered asparagus and black peppercorn sauce were on-point. The exterior flaky butter puff pastry offers a crispy, golden-brown crunch that gives way to the incredibly tender, succulent medium-rare beef at the core, encased in a rich earthy savoury mushroom duxelles creating a delightful contrast and a symphony of textures and flavours with every bite. By the end of the night, we were happily full and decided to skip dessert after so many indulgent courses. A special mention must go to our second waiter, Almin, if i can recall correctly, who delivered our food and completely turned the evening around. He was attentive, warm, and made us feel truly welcome in stark contrast to our rocky start in the beginning.

We had a private dinner for a group of 10 whereby a fancy 7 course Degustation Menu was served. The food were very nicely presented. We started off with the bread basket and I really enjoyed the warm breads and had to refrain myself from getting more before the actual dinner starts. The food was good and they accommodated my request to change my mains to lamb instead of beef. I did not really like the strange flavor of Red Sea Snapper, wrapped in Lotus Leaf. But the risotto with saffron, sautéed mushrooms hits the right spot. The unique dessert of Mangosteen Granita was nice and refreshing. The service here is of a hotel’s 5 star quality. Overall a lovely experience.

Had fanatic experience in this restaurant. Amazed by food, service and ambience here. We loved their foie gras, cod, oysters. Scallops flambé were presented nicely but too much cheese overwhelmed the scallop. Alcohol on the expensive side.

An elegant fine dining restaurant in Mandarin Oriental KLCC area with Michelin Starred chefs. The venue is beautiful and comfortable with great ambience and very cozy. The interior is awesome. You can see the KLCC Park from the restaurant’s window. The restaurant was almost empty during lunchtime that made the conservation’s easier. The three of us ordered the set lunch. From the set lunch, I selected: Appetiser: Roasted tomato soup Main course: Grilled tenderloin Dessert: Black forest mousse We had very delicious lunch. Food taste, quality, portion size and presentation is also very good. Every dish was well finished in detail. The tomato soup is nice. The grilled tenderloin is well prepared. The mousse dessert is also delicious and interesting with butterfly decoration. The service is excellent with very friendly staff with proposer table service. It is fairly expensive restaurant, if without the Mandarin Oriental discount card but it is worth the price since it is comparable against other fine dining restaurants in KL. The waiter told us that soon, they are going to launch a new concept to “all grills” from the current “Italian foods”. Definitely will visit again when they change to the new “all grills” concept.

Wonderful time dining here. Beautiful, comfortable venue. Great friendly and efficient service, with chef Marco making the rounds to greet guests. Antipasti misto was visually and palatably exciting and for the exploratory diner. Had fun sampling the different nuanced tastes across ingredients. The dry aged smoke-infused angus steak was done to perfection and very memorable for me, brought back some serious scent and taste memories. Smoked duck pasta was rich in taste. Tiramisu rounded off the meal nicely, chocolate powder was fine and had deep linger. Wine list paired well with everything to boot. Kudos to the team. Keep up the great work!

Squid is recommended to try! The steak is average but the taste of the asparagus is refreshing. The tiramisu for dessert is not an option (packaged into mud😓). Thanks to the chef for my birthday surprise. look forward to the chef's new menu next time…🦑_🦑 PS:Hotel welcome drink of choice with Pinot Noir🍷

The food was amazing as always. Way better than other more expensive places around the area. Definitely was happy that we took the chef’s appetiser, Antipasti Misto, it made us crave for our main course. I had the Australian Black Angus Ribeye while my wife had the Salmon Steak. The mushroom sauce that accompanied my Ribeye raised the taste of the dish to whole new level. Mash potatoes in Mandarin Grill is a must have! Will come here again for either lunch/dinner this year. Ain, our hostess gave a great service plus good recommendations for our dinner. The restaurant even treated us desserts, and MO KL never disappoints when it comes to desserts.

Sri Nirwana Maju @Bangsar, located on Jalan Telawi 3, is renowned for its popular banana leaf rice that attracts long queues. The Banana leaf rice set offers free-flow rice, assorted curries, Indian yogurt cucumber salad, curry with potatoes, and fried bitter gourd. For those craving more protein, options include fried chicken or ikan tenggiri (mackerel fish).
Michelin worthy? For sure 😁 Hands down the best authentic Indian restaurant at KL. Humble and friendly staff. Always a good choice for my informal Friday lunch! Tips: Their curry fish and fried pakora is the best.

Highly disappointing and not worth the Michelin mention. Service was below expectations – you’re required to order at the entrance before even being allowed in, which is unusual and unwelcoming. The food lacked authenticity. The so-called banana leaf meal didn't come close to traditional Indian flavors. Chicken varuval tasted more like mala chicken, which was confusing and off-putting. The portion of fried squid rings was ridiculously small for the price — totally not worth it. The overall experience didn’t live up to the hype at all. Prices are on the higher side, most likely because of the Bangsar location, but quality and taste don’t match the cost. I had high hopes, but this was a disappointing meal. Won’t be returning.

We had a great experience here. We enjoyed the food and the banana leaf experience. The chicken biryani was very nice as well as the fried zucchini. The restaurant was busy and once we were served no one checked on us. I ordered a masala tea and it was okay, but I've had much better at other restaurants that don't have a Michelin recognition. All in all, definitely worth visiting, nice experience, but there are still ways the restaurant could improve the guest experience.

One thing worth mentioning (non-food related though), the lady boss still looks the same today as to when I last had meals there 10 years ago! So looks like eating homecooked and wholesome meals are the key to keep a youthful looks 💕 Oh and I missed seeing the friendly and handsome face of the service guy named Prabhu. I wonder where is he now 🤔 No doubt, a satisfying lunch with family and friends at this eatery 😋👍🏻

A South Indian Banana Leaf restaurant being awarded Michelin star rating for consecutive TWO years is something absolutely commendable & a PROUD moment for Indian cuisine too! There are millions of such full meal restaurants in South India, BUT until date NOT a single one has been able to achieve this feat! WoW! Most importantly, the restaurant is not located within the Little India area of KL, but in a laid back area of Bangsar. The majority of clientele are Chinese, Malay, Westerners and SOME Indians! The food spice levels and taste have been toned down quite a bit, to cater to the palate of the other Nationalities. A VERY SMART move indeed, whereby the South Indian cuisine gets maximum exposure amongst the International community. Felt truly PROUD to have a simple, humble but sumptuous full meal on a banana leaf at this MICHELIN star restaurant! 🎉🎉🎉👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Not our first time at Sri Nirwana Maju Bangsar and still as good as ever. Banana leaf rice set (veg meal), Chicken 65, Fried Sotong, and Mutton Masala Varuval all rich, spicy, and comforting. We’ve tried other banana leaf restaurants, but we keep coming back to this one. It’s simply the best. From 7 person we spend RM 165.

The last time I came here was probably before they gotten the Michelin. Standard of dropped so much, disappointed by the fried calamari that is like elastic band, can’t taste the chicken and fish was ok. Only thing remained were the fried bitter gourd. Staff were rude and standing by the side of the counter not very attentive. I don’t know how they got Michelin by using paper cups and food so mediocre literally any BLR around town could easily have a Michelin.
MUNIEE T — Google review
Michelin mentioned and it did not have the Coriander Chicken that was recommended. But the Pepper Chicken was spicy and tasty. So was the Chicken Biryani which was proper. We enjoyed the sides that came with the meal. Gets a bit hot with no AC.

Night market
Jalan Alor Food Street in Kuala Lumpur is a must-visit destination, especially after 5:00pm when it comes alive with an array of hawker stalls offering delicious Malay and Chinese cuisine. The street becomes packed with locals and tourists alike, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Whether you're looking for food-on-the-go or prefer to sit at plastic tables enjoying heaping platters, there's something for everyone.
Exactly the type of Asian night food market one could crave for. I believe that anyone can find what they like - fruits, drinks, nibbles, seafood, sweet staff. For those who don’t want to queue at stalls and eat standing up, there are restaurants with standard seats. All the food seemed fresh to me. We visited on Thursday night and it was still pretty crowded, yet manageable. I was there with my 8yo son and he enjoyed it a lot. The only thing that bothered me a little, was the „touristic“ food. I could do more authentic selection, since Malaysia has really a lot to offer, so Thai and Japanese food could be skipped easily.

Absolutely love this road! Visited in 2017, and 2018, and in 2025 same as it was before! The moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by incredible smells from every direction. What a foodie heaven! The street is lively yet well organised, with plenty of tables set up, great lighting that makes it feel magical at night, and even rain protection so you can enjoy it no matter the weather. A must-visit spot for anyone who wants to experience the true taste and atmosphere of Kuala Lumpur!

Jalan Alor in Kuala Lumpur is a must-visit for food lovers thanks to its incredible variety of street food selections. The area becomes vibrant in the evening, filled with countless stalls and open-air dining spaces offering everything from grilled chicken wings, satay, seafood, noodles, Thai and Chinese dishes to sweet treats like mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream. No matter your preference, you’ll find something tasty to try, and sampling a bit of everything is part of the fun. It’s crowded and lively, making for an unforgettable, authentic local experience—just be sure to come hungry!

Vibrant food street with endless options, but finding Halal food can be tricky Jalan Alor Food Street is one of the most happening places in Kuala Lumpur! The lights, crowd, and aroma of grilled food make the whole street come alive, especially at night. It’s a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience local street vibes. There are countless stalls offering seafood, satay, noodles, desserts, and more, the food looks and smells amazing. However, it can be a bit difficult to find fully Halal options, as many stalls serve mixed cuisines. You’ll need to ask and check before ordering. Still, it’s a fun experience just to walk around, take photos, and try what suits your preferences. Definitely worth visiting for the atmosphere and energy of Kuala Lumpur!

Jalan Alor is the place to be in Kuala Lumpur to truly experience the city’s crowd, chaos, and energy and, of course, to satisfy your taste buds. The stretch leading from Bukit Bintang, with its mix of street stalls, local vendors, and branded stores, makes the entire area even more interesting to explore. Being a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised ONE , I actually got to try some delicious food here, unlike in many other countries. TWO, though the place was packed with people and eateries, there wasn’t a single piece of trash lying around. Each stall seemed to manage its own waste responsibly, proving that even in a bustling food street, cleanliness is possible. THREE, despite being street food, the quality and presentation were of remarkably high standard. And FOUR, what amazed me most was the absence of any unpleasant smell — even with so much seafood and meat being cooked all around, the air remained surprisingly fresh. The colorful variety of fruits and desserts here can easily keep anyone happy. Jalan Alor truly offers a sensory feast — vibrant, organized, and full of flavor.

The real happiness and also joy of life is here.I visit this place in different time and days to unlock the movement and pick hours. Morning time it’s look like a cold forest or cemetery. But when afternoon come, the whole place got a touch of life. and evening! it cannot be describe in words. Food stall and Juice are there. Raw food and fruits, Sea food items. some huge Crabs and also Octopus and squids there for process. you can order there and sit, they are very fast at work. But main things is Durian! the famous fruit is there in almost every shop and it’s high price. If you wanna buy Durian then buy from little outside. don’t buy from centre of the market, they'll ask 65-70 MYR but outside You'll get cheaper price. Fruit mix cut 5 MYR, Coconut water(whole) 6 outside/starting point can be 8-10MYR in Middle of the market, people from different countries and destinations come here and enjoy night life. full of joy and happiness. A must visit placw in KL

Bustling street with restaurants and vendors selling different cuisines and snacks all around. It was rather chaotic for us but it was fun to walk from end to end to see all the different stalls. We visited more for the atmosphere rather than food. Most of the stalls were Thai food some SE Asian/Malaysian choices and ‘viral’ snacks but overall good assortment of foods. A few durian stalls around too. We expected a bit more Malaysian/local foods though. Only got the putu cake because it’s unique and we didn’t see it anywhere else along the street. I’d say worth visiting once if you like markets and sampling food.

Sin Kiew Yee Shin Kee Beef Noodles, located in Chinatown KL, is a must-visit for food enthusiasts. This restaurant specializes in serving delectable beef noodle soup with various options such as fresh beef noodles and ground beef noodles. The combo bowl offers a mix of both types along with other trimmings. For those who prefer dry noodles, the restaurant's dry beef noodles are highly recommended and are known to be among the best in Kuala Lumpur.
A must try! The beef slices are well marinated and cooked - to perfection. The kway teow noodles are also well made. Beef noodles are quite ordinary. The highlight is the soup, which can be topped up upon request. You have to pay once you are served. Food comes quite quickly. The place is HOT! So be prepared to sweat it out while eating. Queues can fork just outside the shop. Overall, I recommend this beef noodles shop. Great soup and beef slices. Thumbs up!

Food: Great bang for buck - we ordered a few dishes to try, and all was good. The meatballs had a great chewy texture, noodles were not too soft, and the broth was flavourful. Service: They'll answer your questions, serve your food, and if you need more, you ask. They've got lots of customers to tend to. You're there to eat, not make friends. Classic Asian style Atmosphere: Standard what you expect for high turnover, packed Asian joints. It's clean enough for what it is

Beef and Ball Soup (RM 12 / Small) -Clear soup with a light taste, not particularly strong or bold in flavor. You can choose the type of noodles you prefer; the price remains the same. P.S.: -Queueing time is around 10-30 minutes during peak lunch hours (12–2 PM). After 2 PM, it is generally quieter. -Orders are ONLY taken by an elderly uncle who wear a mask; other staff will acknowledge you but will not take orders-as they only serve food to the tables. -Order + Cooking time was approximately 20 minutes. -The dining area felt quite hot. -You have to pay directly when the food has been served to the table

Did a revisit to this old shop, now Michelin-rated, and I’d say it truly lives up to the standard. I’ve been eating their beef noodles since the old days when they were at another spot nearby. The beef balls are fresh with no freezer taste, the soup is clear yet flavorful, and every cut of meat is tender without being tough. The only downside? The place gets really hot, so I’d give it three stars overall — but for the food alone, it’s definitely top-notch.
L G — Google review
Queued for about 15 minutes, and food took a while to arrive (close to 30 minutes) due to the crowd - but absolutely worth the wait! Ordered the mixed beef soup noodles and beef & beef ball soup noodles. The broth is rich, flavourful, and perfectly seasoned. The hor fun noodles are smooth and silky, the minced meat is tasty, and the beef itself is soft and tender. Other than the wait time, everything was spot-on. A must-try spot for beef noodle lovers - Michelin star well-deserved! Oh be prepared to share tables with strangers too!

Comfort food at its finest – beef noodles done right. This spot is always bustling, but the service is quick and efficient, so you never have to wait long. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the tender beef and meatballs are perfectly cooked. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving something hearty and satisfying.

If there's a place tourists and locals eat at in KL, this is the one. They have the best noodles I tried so far in KL. The food is delicious, cooked right in front of you by a very skilled chef. The broths have an amazing aroma just by themselves, but combined with all of the other ingredients, they come together in a delicious meal. The atmosphere is nice, the place is packed so think about going early there to eat. Service is good, food is delicious, atmosphere is nice too. Definitely recommend.

Restaurant
Kedai Kopi Lai Foong, a traditional Malay-Chinese coffee shop, may seem unassuming but is renowned for its freshly prepared, cooked-to-order noodles. Established in 1956 and still operated by the same family after three generations, this hawker-style joint is located just a short walk from Petaling and Central Market. The vibrant sorbet-colored facade and perpetual line of customers are telltale signs that you've found the right place.
11 years ago, during our journey through Southeast Asia, my wife and I stumbled upon this place—Lai Foong. We were warmly welcomed by an elderly man who kindly recommended a few dishes. The food was absolutely exceptional, and the experience left a lasting impression on us. Now, all these years later, we returned. The stall is now run by the late gentleman’s son, and we’re happy to say the food is just as amazing as we remembered—perhaps even better. There’s an impressive variety of dishes from different stalls, and each one seems to outdo the last. With a deep sense of nostalgia, we thanked the son for continuing his father’s legacy. 🙏🏼

In the heart of KL, amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, there lies a coffee shop that has served the city folks for years. This coffee shop is none other than Lai Foong. When you come to Lai Foong, you come to taste especially three different Yummylicious shockalingam slurpylicious delicacies. The three are fried kueh teow, beef noodles and roast pork with siew yoke (braised pork). If your stomach can whack all three: fried kueh teow, beef noodles and roast pork with siew yoke (braised pork), you would have savoured the essential essence of Lai Foong coffee shop. Each delicacy on its own is already mouth watering, so imagine attempting the treble.

The famous Lai Foong lala soup noodles is very popular at this shop. Long wait during weekend. I recommend you seat at the immediate side of the shop rather than the corner which is really cramp. The noodle is good and of my liking. Due to the crowds, you can't really sit too long although I really wish to do so. Many local and tourist will come here.

Ordered beef noodle soup, actually quite good, just take note that the small size (RM14) only applicable for beef ball noodle, the other options start from regular size which is RM17 (Sep 25). The shop assistant didn’t explained clearly upon ordering, only can verified after food delivery. The soup base is more heavy taste, but interesting and nice.

Had a Nyonya chicken curry with rice and fried egg. The curry profile is actually good, but the chicken has been cut too finely to the point that it felt like minced chicken, and there's no bone in it which seems such a waste. Heard good reviews about this place, so hoping other dishes would come out better. Note: you need to pay cash per dish and drink once it is served to you at the table.

Many stalls here selling food like hot cakes, mu favourite mix beef noodles. Portion big and ingredients so tasty and value for money. 2 bowls for RM34. Then Penang prawn Mee, Fried Kway Teow, pastry, time sum roast meat and very good Kopi and Kopi O. No Aircon but also not hot within premises.

Food Republic at Pavilion KL is a massive food court situated in the Pavilion shopping mall in Bukit Bintang, KL. While it may not offer the authentic street food experience of hawker stalls, it provides an array of options from 40-50 different restaurants in air-conditioned comfort. Visitors can savor popular Malaysian dishes like 'char kuey teow,' 'curry laksa,' 'roti canai,' dim sum, and 'nasi lemak.'
It was crowded and a bit hard to find a table. I had a curry plate and it tasted good. There were so many kinds of cuisine, like Malaysian, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Korean and so on.

EXPENSIVE EXPENSIVE AVOID THIS STALL! (Malayu & Padang) Crazy! Ridiculous! 1 small tilapia for 1 person cost Rm24.90, a spoonful of pucuk ubi Rm5.50. The fish is NOT fresh and smell so bad, the pucuk ubi tasteless and watery! No santan at all… I am so regret to buy this. I look at the opposite site the big restaurant Madam Kwan is selling a big plate of Nasi Lemak with beef or chicken(Rm25.90) is cheaper than my small fish and vege without rice (Rm30.90)! At first I thought food in Pavilion food court expensive maybe because of the rental here maybe reasonable??? But! I am WRONG. Because this little stall in the food court is more expensive than the big restaurant Madam Kwan! I always eat Madam Kwan Nasi Lemak, it’s tasty big portion and still got a side dish - acar.

I was here this evening for a simple dinner. I ordered a Rojak from the Penang Signature stall, and a Calamansi drink and a bottle of Drinking Water from the Fruit Juice stall. The Rojak was good and was rather special for me, because it came with slices of squid in it, which was nice add-on. As for our drinks order, the Calamansi drink was nice and refreshing, but I was disappointed that I had to an extra 50 Sen for a cup of ice to go with the bottle of Drinking Water that I took from the stall's chiller, but it was not even cold - needing me to make up and pay for it to be served cold.

Bala's Banana Leaf in Kuala Lumpur offers a unique dining experience where guests are served their meal on a large banana leaf, acting as their plate. The restaurant is known for its variety of dishes including vegetables like spinach, cucumber with yoghurt, and beetroot with mustard seeds, along with curries such as lentils, fish, chicken and crab.
One of my all-time favourite dosa spots in Kuala Lumpur! If you’re a dosa lover like me, this place is heaven. They have so many varieties — from plain to rawa, beetroot, and endless other creative takes. I’ve tried most of them (yes, I’m a certified dosa fanatic 😂) and they never disappoint. Crispy edges, flavourful fillings, and that satisfying balance of texture and spice that keeps me coming back. Here’s a little compilation of the many dosas I’ve enjoyed here over time — and I’m still not done exploring the menu! Highly recommend for anyone looking to level up their banana leaf or dosa game in KL.

There are seating areas downstairs and upstairs. A big portion of the downstairs are different food station- tandoori, chapati, rice & dishes, goreng2, rojak, spam and thosai. It was exciting as I enter to get my seat. I had their daily special thosai which is pumpkin thosai served with 3 sauces. All the sauces were enjoyable for me. The Madurai chicken masala thosai was nice. Will be back to try their banana leaf rice next time.

This place can get pretty busy, and long queues are common. That said, the turnover is fast, so you usually won’t wait too long for a seat. Service, however, does take a hit during peak hours. Staff become less attentive and at times provide wrong information. For example, I asked if the papadum was refillable and was told yes—only to later find a RM2 charge for it. Food-wise, the masala thosai was a standout. Generously filled with mashed potatoes and perfectly paired with curry sauce, it was truly satisfying. The chicken 65, on the other hand, felt overpriced for its small serving of just eight bite-sized pieces, though to its credit, it was freshly fried. I also particularly enjoyed the vadai and the naan—both were very well done and definitely worth ordering. Overall, a solid spot for South Indian fare, but service consistency and pricing on certain items could be improved.

Good banana leaf but very expensive. Total came to RM71. I didn’t realize the small bowl of mutton would cost RM25 or that one fried fish would be RM12. Check menu prices before ordering. The highlight of the meal was the vegetables that came with the banana leaf. I really enjoyed the long beans. The mutton and fish were good but too expensive. I’d order chicken next time inshaaAllah or just eat vegetarian style if i do come. Appam was delicious, crispy and can be less sweet. Salty lassi was good. Staff was accommodating and quick. Thank you for the food and service.

One of my favourite spots for indian food. Prices are reasonable here relative to food quality. Came by here for a quick supper. The maggi goreng is alright. I would rate is 7/10. My maggi goreng was served with lemon slices rather than lime which I found quite interesting. The curry seasoning flavour is a little mild. Color is on the darker side. Nasi Lemak with fried chicken is 6/10. The sambal recipe improved since last time I came. Rice is mildly fragrant and mildly tasting of coconut milk. Anchovies were a little stale. The fried chicken is crispy and of generous portion. Does not come with egg unless requested. Roti is decent. Curries are well flavoured and thick. My mango lassi was thick and quite sweet, seems like they added sugar. Commendable service here from owner and waiters. Seating is quite limited and the restaurant is always crowded. The upstairs section is air conditioned however sound insulation not great, so it’s difficult to speak upstairs.

Fluffy basmati rice cooked with aromatic spices, served on a banana leaf with rich curries, crispy papadum, and tangy pickles. So flavorful, hearty, and aromatic! Restoran Kudu Abdul, established in 1969, is a popular dining spot known for its delectable nasi kandar that attracts long queues of patrons. The restaurant offers a variety of flavorful dishes to accompany the nasi kandar, such as chicken with sambal and onion, soy sauce beef, chicken in honey sauce, fish roe curry, and a special omelet.

I first heard of this place as one of the best nasi kandar in KL and unsurprisingly, the reviews here are rather solid. I finally dropped by today to confirm for myself if the food quality lives up to the impressive rating. Firstly, the interior was nothing fancy and resembled an almost bare looking lot. This wasn't a deal breaker of course but it could certainly make use of some well needed refurbishment in my opinion. Having said this, I believe they opened a new lot just opposite with nicer decor. As this was my first time experiencing the food here, I ordered a plate of rice with a good variety of dishes such as telor dadar, kobis bunga, ayam bawang, ayam madu and daging kicap. I requested for kuah banjir like I always do at nasi kandar restaurants. The mix of curries or kuah blended together harmoniously. The aromatics were fragrant and the spices were not overly done. The appetising tang as well as sweetness from the kuah madu and kuah bawang brought that extra dimensions of taste to round off the savoury elements. The ayam bawang was not too dry and so was the ayam madu. I felt the ayam bawang successfully captured the quintessential taste of the dish. The marination and seasoning was present throughout the chicken albeit not overly powering. The ayam madu turned out to be a decent rendition here too. The kobis bunga sadly was a little too salty and I was not fond of the telor dadar because it was not the fluffy type. One dish that stood out was their daging kicap. I was pleased with the tenderness of the meat and the taste immediately hits the perfect spot. Unlike most daging I had at nasi kandar stalls, the gravy here seemed to be more refined which offered a lusher texture without sacrificing on its intensity and richness. In summary, this nasi kandar did not entirely win me over as the best in KL but it would be a shame to simply give them a hard pass. I'd still recommend to give them a try if you happen to be in the city.

Amazing food, served pretty quickly, kind service, clean place...all this at a very good price. I ordered the roti telur bawang and the kuey teow chicken, both were amazing. They also brought me an extra chicken gravy to pair with the roti. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

It's my first time to try Nasi Kandar and recommended by one of the local drivers to try Nasi Kandar Kudu Abdul. The Nasi Kandar really tasted authentic, spicy, a bit salty mixed with a bit of sweet. You must try their beef with black sauce and chicken sambal bawang. The price is not as expensive as other Kandar Resto near the tourist area

[ 7 Dec 2024] Tried their ayam sambal bawang, it was ok. Although, the chicken is a bit dry inside. The kuah however tasted underwhelming. A bit watery. Doesn't tasted spices much. It was an average experience for me. Maybe would come again to try different dishes.

This is one of the only few nasi kandar restaurants in KL (alongside Yaseem, Sithique and Ibramsha) that serves nasi kandar that tastes similar to those old school nasi kandar in Penang. The set up is old school and usually there will be long queues during lunch time. The dish is tasty and flavorful. Their signature sambal chicken is very flavorful. The fried chicken is a bit bland and dry, daging kicap and ayam kicap are both good (Penang style, not too sweet). Mutton is tender but taste only above average. Kuah campur is fine. Overall a good place to have an old school Penang taste nasi kandar.. but of course if you just came back from Penang after a nasi kandar trip then you come here only 2 months after the trip 🥳😂

Valentine Roti proudly displays the tagline "BEST ROTI CANAI" on their signboard, offering a wide selection of roti canai, capati, and tosai. With over a decade of popularity for its fine taste, this small eatery is known for serving some of the best roti canai in town. Located opposite the Celcom tower, it's an easy spot to find and a must-visit if you're looking for delicious Mamak food.
This restaurant is amazing, if you know what to expect. We read about Loti and really wanted to try it. We went at 1:30p for a late lunch and were very saddened to find out Loti is not served from noon-3pm!!! So we got some snacks, then went to the Batu Cave as we had planned. We sure are glad we came back for dinner! The Loti here is soooo good! Use Google translate to see all the options. We got onion and egg to start. The toppings are actually cooked into the bread. After that we had the ghee loti, which was amazing. Make sure to order the loti tissue after dinner, which doesn’t sound good, but it’s a super thin and crispy bread, with sugar and condensed milk served for dessert. Bring your own napkins if you want them, and try not to eat with your left hand as this place has a very local vibe. There is a sink in the back to wash your hands before eating. Just ask!

So I visited on. Monday afternoon around 12pm, not many guests inside which was perfect for me. Had the Roti Valentine, it was packed with flavours! My wife had the veg version with potato, not really sure about the name xOxO

When we came here, we were a bit holding back when ordering. After trying the first dish, we decided to order more. As you can guess, it was delicious! Good food and not expensive at all! Restaurant Staff is also very friendly. Wishing them all the best, thank you.

Great tasty food at a ridiculously cheap price (by Australian standards). The Roti Canai was perfect and the accompanying sauces were a good mixture of mild to hot spice levels. Staff very friendly and helped explained the menu. The restaurant is very basic with plastic chairs and tables so if you are looking a 3-star Michelin then look elsewhere.
Jeremey M — Google review
We ate the roti valentine. The serving was large for us. I think sharing is better. Half way through it made us feel "jelak". The sardin was overwhelming in smell and taste plus on top of it it was served warm not hot like in just out of the frying pan. Teh halia was room temperature when we ordered teh Halia panas

Roti canai here is big and reasonable. Here also uses original sambal for it.

First time trying after hearing some good reviews. Overall I would say an average place for roti. FOOD: Roti Valentine: 5/10 (low quality sardine used) Roti Canai 6/10 Rawa Thosai 8/10 Soup Kambing 7/10 too salty for my liking DRINKS: Apple sour Plum 8/10 Teh Tarik 7.5/10 was really kurang manis
Bukit B — Google review
The roti was good and can give it a try. Their Valentine Roti was not to my liking. Perhaps I came with too high hopes.Nasi lemak panas 'biasa' was good and worth trying.Sambal was spicy enough compared to other nasi lemak I have tasted around KL. I did try their spicy Maggi goreng was also nice but a little too oily and salty for my liking. The waiters were friendly and nice. Parking would be an issue if the place is packed as there are not too many parking since the shop is located in close proximity with the main road.

Food court
ICC PUDU is a bustling and spacious market filled with numerous stalls offering traditional cooked food, fresh produce, and various other items. It's a popular spot for Chinese-style hawker and street food, drawing in locals and tourists alike. Many of the stalls are from the old Imbi Wet Market, known for its breakfast offerings.
The Imbi pork noodle kennot. Too bland and expensive for the quality of pork. The other stuff like apam balik and keng cheow Hailam coffee are awesome. I will try the Hailam chicken rice and Teochew fish noodle next time. Oh yeah, the water here quite dirty. Service of table kinda slow at times because lack of manpower. Understandable. Atmosphere. Weekday is good (before and after the peak rush hour of lunchtime). Weekend is overcrowded and hard to find table to sit down and eat.
Chong K — Google review
Managed to score a clean, cool table tucked all the way inside this huge and humid hawker centre near Bunn Choon (egg tarts). Tried the vegetarian laksa as there was no queue. Didn’t taste like the laksa I’m more familiar with and instead had an Indian curry taste.Still, it was rather nice. Uncle’s Fresh Coconut here is a must try! It’s huge, icy and refreshing, and best of all, the metal spoon to scoop the tender sweet flesh at the end of the meal was the best desert on a hot afternoon. The Yong Tao Fu was okay but the freshly made chee cheong fun that went with it - I can eat 5 servings and ask for more. Just a simple drizzle of soy sauce and sesame oil and it’s like so soft yet chewy, light not stodgy like most rice noodles. Heavenly yum yum.
Jackie — Google review
I didn't understand the hype about this food court. We ate at the most popular Ahfook Yong Tau Fu stall and found it to be grossly overrated by YouTubers. Yes it is cheap but the quality of ingredients is low and the whole thing was really tasteless. I also tried the fabulous popiah. It was just ok and lacking in complexity of ingredients and crispness. I think I've had better ones in Singapore. The triple layer lava cake - fun to eat but very oily and lacks depth of flavours. I have to agree that the taste and atmosphere here is authentic Malaysian. It's hot, cheap and bustling. Maybe it's still worth one visit just for the experience. But make sure you get there early before lunch because some of the popular stalls did sell out when we got there at 1pm.
Debbie L — Google review
I recently visited ICC Pudu Food Centre and was thoroughly impressed by the wide variety of authentic local dishes available. Among the many options, I tried the Lala Bee Hoon, Curry Niang You Hu, Hainanese Coffee, and Fried Fish Rice, and every dish left a lasting impression. The Lala Bee Hoon was light yet flavorful — the clams were fresh, and the broth carried a natural sweetness with a hint of seafood richness. The Curry Niang You Hu stood out for its aromatic, creamy curry and tender stuffed fish pieces, a perfect balance of spice and comfort. The Fried Fish Rice was another highlight — crispy on the outside yet juicy inside, paired beautifully with fragrant rice and sambal. To complete the meal, the Hainanese Coffee was strong, smooth, and perfectly roasted, delivering that classic old-school kopitiam flavor. What makes ICC Pudu Food Centre truly special is not just the food, but the vibrant atmosphere — a perfect blend of tradition, efficiency, and community spirit. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and every stall feels passionate about what they serve. This is truly a five-star destination for anyone who loves authentic Malaysian flavors.

A bustling hotbed for locals here to congregate for breakfast and lunch mainly, due to its large concentration numbers of food stalls offering a wide range of mainly local Chinese local hawker fare. A wide range of choices to select depending on one's inkling. Overall all the ones that I tried were pretty good and authentic. Despite their busyness, the operators were still relatively polite and friendly, partly I supposed due the the competition of a few repeated food type stalls. The ordering system here is self service and pricing is reasonable. I came at a non peak time, and was able to find certain seating spots were more airy at the edge with openings (no hemp in) than those internal spots. I supposed, one would not have such luxury at peak and packed times, as this place is obviously very popular among the locals and visitors. The set up here is quite basic, with the attention focused on the food. I was quite surprised that the floor is just cement screed finished and not tiles for eater facilities, though overall the place is considered quite clean and tidy.
James S — Google review
Visited this bustling local hawker center for lunch. The ambiance is classic and busy—lots of energy, plenty of tables, and you get the true experience of local Malaysian food culture here. The Food: I ordered the Ginger Rice Wine dish with Prawn and Pork (RM13.00). • Value (3/5): At RM13, the price is a little on the higher side for a hawker stall, so expectations for flavor execution are raised. • Ingredients (4/5): The ingredients themselves were generous and looked fresh—good portion of sliced pork, decent prawns, and a nice, thick, savory egg gravy. • Flavor (2/5): This is where it fell short. Despite being a 'Ginger Rice Wine' dish, the dominant, warming, and pungent flavors of the ginger and wine were almost non-existent. The food tasted surprisingly "normal" and lacked the punch and character a signature item should have.
Lee Z — Google review
Lot of foods to pick...mee, porridge, rice, cookies, from western, local to vege, dry to soup...and suitable for all age level. The foodcourt seem a bit old, but mean point is the foods. During the breakfast and lunch time is peak hours, fullhouse and hard to get a place some time. Parking at roadside.

Soong Kee Beef Noodles & Low Yau Kee Porridge is a long-standing establishment that has been serving up delicious beef noodles for almost eight decades. The third-generation restaurant offers a choice between dry or soup-based noodles, with the classic being thin, springy egg noodles topped with choy sum and a signature braised minced beef sauce. Additionally, they offer sides such as beef ball soup, sliced beef soup, or mixed soup.
This legendary beef noodle shop has been serving customers here for decades. Their signature dry beef noodles remain the best after all these years. Now they have added poached chicken as part of their menu. Parking can be difficult during office hours, but it’s definitely a must-try spot when you’re in Kuala Lumpur. Prices are also very reasonable!

Came here as it was just by our hotel. As it was quite late (just past 8pm), many things were already sold out. Thankfully, the Chicken Porridge was still available. The chicken was very smooth and tender, although it was a bit salty. However it really complemented the porridge very well. Definitely worth checking out if you're around the area!

Tried this long standing place. The mixed noodles had a unique taste but the beef balls left a strange aftertaste, like they had too much MSG or even borax 😭😭😭, making it unpleasant to eat. Although the place is always crowded, the service is very quick 🙏 .

Good quality of beef slice. Beef balls not so much. Smaller than On Lee noodles Pavilion. I marked it average purely is the soup barely hot when it is served. Room temperature. Seem left out for ages. Shame. TehC have hint of pandan leaves. Shame also barely warm. May be this is the tactics to turnover quick. We have to finish it quick or it will gone cold.

🥤 D1 Herbal Tea (Ice, No Sugar) = RM2.80 🐟 A10 Raw Fish Slices = RM9.00 🐮🍜 BS4 Beef Sliced, Beef Ball Noodle (Small, Kuey Teow) = RM12.00 SST 6% = RM1.43 This place is located relatively near to Petaling Street Chinatown, 🛍️ so if you are already near that area, you can swing by to check it out. Although a Kopitiam, I was surprised to find it Air-Conditioned. ❄️ From the Signboard, it looks like it has been around since 1945? 😳 Wow this Restoran has been around for 80 years!? 😳 As I stepped in, I don't know why but something about this place gives me a Very HK Cha Chaan Ting type of Vibe. 🇭🇰😅 Maybe because all the Customers were conversing in Canto? 🗣️ There were a Few Customers and isn't Crowded on a Monday Afternoon. Staffs are mostly Myanmar Folks. They are Friendly, Polite and mostly keep to themselves. Having said that, they aren't good in English and this probably resulted in a Slight Mistake that was committed as you will read later. 🤔 Anyway, it took 1 MIn for the 🐟 Raw Fish, 2 Mins for their 🥤 Herbal Tea, and 3 Mins for the 🐮🍜 Beef Noodles. Everything was served up within 3 Mins. 🥤 D1 Herbal Tea (Ice, No Sugar) = RM2.80 🐟 A10 Raw Fish Slices = RM9.00 🐮🍜 BS4 Beef Sliced, Beef Ball Noodle (Small, Kuey Teow) = RM12.00 Due to Text Limit Constraints, I won't go into details describing every Ingredient here. If you are interested to know more, come visit my Facebook Food Blog: "A Solo Singaporean's Guide to JB Foods (And More!)" to view the Full Review with Photos. Conclusion and Closing Thoughts At the Price of RM2.80 (S$0.90) for this Cup of Cold 罗汉果 Monkfruit Herbal Tea, 🥤 it was an Affordable Price although also Nothing Particularly Special. Decent and Not Overly Diluted. It is what it is. 🤔 At the Price of RM9.00 (S$2.80) for this Plate of 10 Slices of Raw Fish 🐟 I dunno how to feel about it. On one hand, I am Culinarily Impressed because it is the First Time I'm seeing Raw Fish Sashimi being doused in an Oil Mix like this. 🐟🍯 On the Other Hand, this Technique itself also tells me it is also another Way to be able to mask and sell "Less-Than-Fresh" Raw Fish. 🐟🤔 Also as someone who prefers the Original Taste of a Fish/Meat, this style of Preparation is not something I would really go for. 🤔 I also feel the Slices of this Raw Fish is a Tad Too Thin tbh, although again I am impressed if this is cut without the use of any Special Tools. 🔪 At the Price of RM12.00 (S$3.70) is an Affordable Price for this 🐮🍜 Beef Noodle. The Amount of Ingredients given are Acceptable and Filling but this Dish really doesn't taste like a Conventional Beef Noodle that you may be familiar with. 🤔 Eating this feels more like eating a Lightly Braised version of WTM. 🍜😅 I thought the Main Taste Profile has a Somewhat "Single Tone" Braised Taste. 🤔 Adding Chilli will help spice it up a little. 🌶️ I wish they replace that Chye Sim with 酸菜 Mustard Green instead to further jazz it up. 🤔 Pairing the 🐟 Raw Fish Slices with this 🐮🍜 Beef Noodles was indeed an Unusual Combination. What you get in addition to the Already Unconventional Braised WTM sort of taste is a Hit of Sesame Shallot Oil Mix. 🍯 This Dish really has a Unique Taste that I've never tasted anywhere else. 🤔 I can't say I'm really enamoured or really enjoyed it, but its the Culinary Aspect of this Dish that intrigued me more. 🤔 Alot of things that is done in this Beef Noodles is not something that is done in other Beef Noodles. 🐮🍜 Heck if they are able to stay in Business for 80 Years since 1945, they are obviously doing something right. 👍 If you are near the Petaling Street Area and is open to try a Very Unique Tasting 80 Years Old style of Beef Noodles 🐮🍜 that really doesn't taste like Conventional Modern Beef Noodles, I can definitely recommend this to give it a try. 👍 Thanks for Reading. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Soong Kee Beef Noodle has been my go-to comfort food for years. The noodles are springy, the beef is tender, and the soup is rich with flavor — every bowl tastes like tradition passed down since 1945. Truly one of KL’s timeless food gems. Highly recommended!

China Town Seng Kee is a popular spot in Kuala Lumpur's Kota Raya shopping complex, known as the unofficial Little Manila due to its abundance of Filipino restaurants and businesses catering to overseas Filipinos. This traditional Chinese restaurant near Stadium Merdeka offers a variety of affordable Chinese dishes, including a self-service section for quick bites. The Claypot Lou Shu Fun is still as good as last time. First time trying the pork noodle and it tasted good. The Kam Heong Lala was abit of let down because of the freshness. Maybe due to the preparation. The sauce was good. Try the herbal tea... it's good too. Will be back again.

Overall, the food is decent. I especially loved the sweet and sour pork — it was crispy and flavorful. However, the signature Lou Shu Fen and roasted pork mee were quite ordinary in my opinion and noticeably oily. The pork intestine signature dish was also rather plain but chewy. Portions felt a bit small considering the price.

Good taste. We were looking for yummy Chinese dishes and saw Chinese grandpa in this restaurant, so we chose this place lol. Not disappointed at all! Caramelizes pork rob impressed us, signature and MVP! Also fried dumpling and fried tofu set were delicious. Every staffs were friendly. One of them can speak Thai. I came by for dinner and there were quite a number of tables available. I got the claypot lo shi fun, and this was pretty decent. While a little salty, it was still pretty good overall. There's also salted egg battered long beans and these were so good and moreish. I made the mistake of ordering the gan xiang bamboo clams. While the flavour was decent, I didn't like the fact that the shells were all smashed up and mixed up in the dish, so I spent a lot more time extricating the shells from the edible parts.

I was looking forward to dine at this shop. However, the lady standing in front of the shop who sounded foreign was extremely RUDE and sour faced. I asked her about the menu and she reluctantly answered and even walked away! Owner, please take note of your staff’s poor attitude and service!! How can you allow someone like her fronting your establishment? She is driving away customers. One of few renowned pork noodle stall in KL, situating in money corner foodcourt which barely been notice from main road as it is hidden behind the row of shops facing main road Tun Sambanthan across KL sentral hub. You can select soup base or dry sauce, with or not onsen egg. Ordering systematic and serving really fast. Mix well the soup to ensure uniform taste. Soup base was clear and I loved it as not as cloudy compare those commercialised type. Taste above average with good blend of porklard. Portion meat given quite generous and vegetable fresh. Everytime I visit KL, I always make sure i have the time to visit this place😂. The pork noodle is so good and affordable, considering the amount of meat and an egg put in it. The broth is not sweet or too salty. Just nice 💯 the location is quite hidden and stuffy but ok

Peter's Pork Noodle has been around for as long as I remember. This popular stall in Brickfields is now operating in Money's Corner, a kopitiam in this area better known as Little India. This was my first time coming here and I had high expectations on what many people regarded as one of the best pork noodle in town. Probably the busiest stall of all, I placed an order and waited to be served. ◾Pork Noodle - the extra egg was perfect and the meats were nicely cooked. However I couldn't say the same with the broth - it had the sweetness from the pork but contained too much 冬菜 or preserved dried cabbage making it too salty. Frankly a bit disappointed. ◾Note: Moorthy's Mathai Indian Rice stall where I ordered fried chicken leg and sambal egg was good. Worth checking out. Leo's verdict - not sure if the quality has dropped over the years, but for me the hype was not worth my trip. I'll stick to my favourite pork noodle places in PJ such as Wah Cheong and Hog's Kitchen.

Located on Jalan Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur, Shawarma Damascus offers a delightful culinary experience. The shawarma is particularly noteworthy for its juicy and well-flavored taste. There are seating options available near the shop, allowing customers to savor their food while observing the bustling vendors. The lamb and chicken dishes come highly recommended, although it's advised to steer clear of the milkshakes.
The best experience and arabic food in bkt bintang. Price was reasonable and the food is good, plus the service is top class along with the deco. Went to tarbush a few doors away and is a nono for us, expensive and food was meh. Ordered everything in the photo and it cost only Rm120+. Turkish coffee not for me though, had a strong spice aroma

No reservations is available so be prepared to wait for a long queue, we went 12.40pm and have to wait under the sun but they do provide umbrella. We took 45mins to get to our table, food service is fast and great service. Nice place with clean environment. Haven’t try any other Middle East restaurant in KL but if comparing with UAE/ Dubai there’s a small space for improvement but overall it’s good.
Tan V — Google review
Came during brunch since I’m not a fan of the crazy queue. Used to come here back when it wasn’t viral, and decided to drop by again since Bukit Bintang was pretty quiet that day. I’ve tried so many lamb mandy places, but this one easily tops the list!! Meat was super tender, rice was perfectly seasoned and flavourful. Just spot on. Also ordered the grilled wings, which came with flatbread and filled with spicy ezme-looking — so good! Asked the staff about it and they said it’s not on the menu, but they were kind enough to give us some complimentary for the table. Such a nice touch. The red tea was light with a hint of mint — simple but refreshing. *Note: Don’t have to worry about stairs for upper level since they have their own elevator
Basirah B — Google review
Long queues but the restaurant is huge with 4 floors so the queue moved quickly when we went (at noon). Large menu. I felt that the food was just slightly above average as I have had better experiences with Mid Eastern food traveling and living abroad. It’s still a pleasant experience here and the ambience is nice, service is efficient and friendly. Expect to pay about 60rm per person for just mains and your beverage.
Yvonne L — Google review
One of the best places to satisfy your Middle Eastern food cravings! Every dish tastes amazing — nothing disappoints. The flavors are authentic yet perfectly adjusted to local taste. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and has a nice ambience. There’s usually a queue, but it moves fast and you’ll get your seat in no time!
Najwa F — Google review
Damascus in Kuala Lumpur is easily one of the most popular Middle Eastern food spots in the city, and for good reason. The moment you arrive, you’ll likely notice the long queue outside — a clear sign of how much people love this place. Yes, the wait can be a bit long, but it’s absolutely worth it once you get your food. Their menu focuses on authentic Syrian and Middle Eastern flavors, with generous portions and freshly prepared ingredients. I tried their shawarma, and it was packed with tender, juicy meat, flavorful spices, and perfectly balanced sauces. The bread was soft yet slightly crispy on the outside, which made every bite satisfying. What I love most is how they maintain the same quality despite the high demand. The staff works quickly and efficiently while still being friendly and polite. Even though the line moves steadily, you can tell each order is made with care. The atmosphere is vibrant, with the delicious smell of grilled meat filling the air, making the wait even more tempting. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size you get. If you don’t mind a bit of waiting, Damascus is definitely worth it — amazing flavors that will keep you coming back for more.

Everything we tried was very delicious! Hummus was super creamy. Beef shawarma was tender and flavorful. We went there twice in one day! Make sure you leave room for dessert as I cannot recommend enough the chocolate cheesy kunafa with ice cream! 🤩 Mango smoothie was fresh and pure fruit.

We ordered the chicken shawarma which was okay nothing special, and chicken maklouba which was full of flavour and really enjoyable. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed and in a great location. Our meals arrived quickly, though we were dining around 3 p.m. when it was fairly quiet. The only downside was the portion size, which felt quite small for a Middle Eastern restaurant

There are indoor seating options as well, but the Orchid Room I felt is especially magical and was well worth the slightly higher high tea price. We also had a peek at the indoor dining room, which is equally elegant (a tad bit gentler on the wallet), featuring a grand piano and live music that beautifully complemented the refined atmosphere. The food was exquisite. Plenty of variety (from sweet, savory, creamy, etc.), all presented as finger foods. Every bite delicious, and beautifully presented- they surprised us with little small cakes accompanied with candles just for the occasion and sang happy birthday ❤️. We couldn’t fault anything and my Mum’s quite the food critic 😅 I ordered a tier of high tea each for a party of three. There was so much food we had to take home some as we were too full. The tea selection was extensive, and the staff’s attentiveness and kindness elevated the whole experience. The mini food warmers for the pastries and candle lit bases for the teapots was a nice touch considering the cool temperature of the glass room. As a lovely bonus, our visit coincided with a Make-A-Wish Foundation event being held in the hotel events area. My mum got a chance to meet the CEO of Malaysia and made a donation- it was a serendipitous and meaningful way to wrap up a truly special day at The Majestic.

Really beautiful place but it’s quite hot especially in this current weather ☀️ perhaps because we took the 12 pm slot. You need to make reservation online ya, no walk in allowed. Brought my mom and sisters here for high tea ☕️ cause my mom loves orchids and glad she was so happy. Halal eatery. There are a lot of tea choices to choose from. You can either coffee (long black only) or tea. Highly recommend the rose fresh vanilla tea if you like to try something different. The rose is not too strong , the flower scent was so lovely. Their scones are delicious. must have to pair with their strawberry jam. You will have 2 hours to finish your tea session. Service is top notched , staff really friendly. Portion is huge and every item was really good. Toilets are super clean, however sadly we encountered guests stealing toiletries 🧴 from the toilet. Really pity the cleaner staff. I feel they need to upgrade to auto dispensable handwash. Overall highly recommended and will come back again very soon ☺️

As a lover of orchids being surrounded by seasonal range of phalaenopsis orchids, this little glass atrium, known as The Orchid Conservatory was a place that I managed to tick off my bucket list 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 And my girlfriends made that happened! It was a lovely afternoon tea spent with them on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Upon being seated, we were then offered a variety of twinnings tea and for each person you will get a warm, unlimited refill pot of tea of your choice. On the tea stand we were served four diff types of sandwiches, scones and a variety of mini cakes and savoury pastries. The scones were just the right texture; accompanied by clotted cream and jam; simply 😘😘😘 They may look little, but they can be surprisingly filling. Overall, I really enjoyed them all. So by the end of our session we had the staff kindly boxed up our leftovers to take home. Kudos to the staff Ko Ko who single handedly took care of the entire conservatory with the occasional appearance of a fellow colleague. He was patient, polite and kind. I loved every minute we were there. It was definitely an afternoon to remember.

we had afternoon high tea here which was fantastic. the area is surrounded by beautiful orchids and it also smells amazing. the area is also air conditioned. what was surprising was the amount of food served which is a lot. This is more a full meal than a heavy snack. all the food items were nice, I really liked the finger sandwiches. a great experience all around. only seats around 10 or 12 people so make reservations.

Gorgeous environment to have your tea. Loads of fresh orchids. Glass room on a rainy day really makes us feel like we are overseas. Sandwiches are quite special, didn't taste too ordinary but that isn't really the reason you are here right? Scones are decent, the star was the thick clotted cream, so good! The cakes are a tad too sweet for my liking. The savouries are pretty good too! Buttery, flakey and filling. Tea seems to taste different from the ones bought from Village or Jaya Grocer. Service from the sole waiter is impeccable. Overall yes to this place but minus one star due to the difficulty booking this place and the overly sweet cakes.

Well done, first time when I experience high tea and it was wow. Good finger food, sweets are okay. Exemption service and the location is WOW. Here at the majestic hotel have few thematic room one of them is this orchid room and is beautiful. We booked from 3-6 pm and we pay each person 110rm(27us). Enjoy!

A very instagrammable hotel on its own tucked away in the heart of the city. That said, it’s literally perpetually fully booked so it’s not for the spontaneous foodies. Bookings need to be made well in advance. High Tea on Weekends (RM 120 per pax) The food is nothing extra ordinary but substantial. However, if it is the ambiance you are after, this is the place for you. Limited amount of seating hence gives you tons of privacy to satisfy your trigger happy camera fingers. Orchids add a nice splash of colour to the overall look and feel of the experience. It would probably be the place to celebrate a nice occasion or bring a date to. the place is soo breathtakingly pretty! Despite the glass walls, it actually feels quite intimate in there! It’s very cold too! Our server Ko Ko was so sweet, friendly and efficient with his work, swift and quick to brew teas and bring the snacks and desserts! Will definitely be coming around again in the future as a stress relief <3

Ara Vietnamese Noodles, located in the heart of Damansara Jaya, is a cozy and family-friendly restaurant known for its delicious and affordable Vietnamese noodle dishes. The menu features popular options such as Pho Bo (Beef Noodle), Hu Tieu Bo Kho (Vietnamese Beef Noodle Stew), and Hu Tieu Nam Vang. The restaurant gained popularity for its generous portions of beef and flavorful broth that make their pho stand out.
Food is amazing. Pretty authentic Vietnames food for affordable price. The new item Spicy Bun Bo Hue was delicious and the beef noodles were good too. A bit on the saltier side but amazing regardless. The banh mi was good too. Would recommend !

Good location, easy to find parking in the evening, this is probably one of the very best Vietnamese restaurants in Petaling Jaya. The restaurant is old-school and has good vibes, the boss and staffs are friendly. Food is served fast too. The beef noodles here is excellent and super flavorful, stir fried pork with lemongrass is very good, and finally, the barbecue pork skewer and pork sausage are heavenly delicious! Price is also very reasonable. Will definitely come back again. Highly recommended..! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not authentic at all. i brought my friend that never tried vietnamese food thinking this was authentic and good like back in vietnam, i was really disappointed and ashamed that i brought my friend to try this as his first vietnamese food. look at this com thit nuong (bbq pork rice), is this the color the meat supposed to have? why is it yellow? you even have the authentic picture on the wall of your restaurant and it looks nothing like that. plus its so rubbery and overall taste is substandard. whoever was the chef clearly is not vietnamese or learned this dish well. the spring roll was ok. wont come back, was fooled by the reviews.
Eric T — Google review
The pho bo is just average. The soup isn't very flavourful, but the mix of meat is good. You get some lean meat, tripe, beefball, and tendon. The fresh spring roll is also a tad chewier than I would like it. The grilled sausage is surprisingly good. Goes great with Vietnamese beer, which is also a first for me.
William N — Google review
Some people claimed authentic but I don't feel it at all. I went to Vietnam many times as I got vietnamese gf. To be honest the food just so so. Had pho soup was great but not that pho. They didn't give me the sweet and spicy sauce that meant for the pho. Came in during lunch time and saw 1 patrons only wanted to run away but decided to give it a try. Banh mi also so so. The setup also so so but given the price maybe cheap
Maru F — Google review
The service was excellent. I customized my own Banh Mi by ordering the BBQ pork skewers, bread, and the platter. The bread was not up to my expectations, but the service was outstanding. I enjoyed the fried spring rolls, and the platter is good if you know how to mix and match it. They also serve extra basil and carrot pickles upon request. However, the platter costs RM20, which slightly expensive compared to the Vietnamese platter that I had in Danang. The quantity does not seem to match the price. The platter consists of 2.5 pieces Vietnamese wrap (they cut the transparent wrapping sheet in half), 3 pieces of spring rolls, three small sausages (as described by the staff), vermicelli, and vegetables as shown in photos shared. Lemongrass ginger tea was good. Will be back for trying their spicy Pho and shall keep u guys posted.

Satay restaurant
Restaurant
Satay Zainah Ismail is a renowned street food stall in Kuala Lumpur, situated near central Bukit Bintang. It offers a diverse selection of satay, such as beef, beef stomach, chicken, and chicken liver. The satays are well-charred and perfectly greased to avoid feeling greasy on the palate. They are served with a delectable homemade peanut gravy that strikes a delightful balance between slight spiciness and sweetness.
I just had a meal at Satay Zainah Ismail. The satay here is excellent, with thick and plump pieces of meat. Although the beef satay was a bit dry, it would be perfect if it were juicier. The peanut sauce could be improved as well, as I found it a bit lacking in richness. The location has a nice roadside scenery, but parking can be a bit tricky—you’ll need to park along the side of the road. Despite that, I will definitely come back to eat here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious satay!
Filia A — Google review
The food is so good! The satay daging is one of the most juiciest and flavourful food I ever had! Drove all the way from Batu Caves for this and was not disappointed! Will definitely come back again. Parking might be a bit of an issue because this store is roadside but the fast, no-nonsense service and delicious food is so worth it!
RUKHSAAR M — Google review
Absolutely bombing. Outrageously delicious. At first i was discouraged after looking at the price but when the satay come out, it was definitely more than justifiable. The portion per stick is bigger than my expectation. I actually ordered 7 beef and 3 tripe and couldnt finish them. Had to ask the nice makcik to tapaw. Really recommended.
Mohammad S — Google review
As someone who's not a fan of satay, this place is serving great satay. I'm not much of a beef eater but the beef satay is absolutely savoury - tender and flavourful without a strong 'beef' smell. The peanut sauce is nice. Average beverage and smoky atmosphere. Definitely worth trying!
Jooeey C — Google review
Juicy satay, nice service, best hot teh tarik I’ve tried in KL, cute cats.
Huy ( — Google review
Food was average, a few of the satay kambing were good but some pieces are hard. The satay perut was incredibly chewy and the pieces were too big and hard to swallow. However, nasi impit as well as kuah kacang was very nice. Unfortunately, when i was there it started raining heavily and since it was an average warong, we got a bit wet due to the rain splashes.
Nur S — Google review
Came here for dinner. They have quite a long queue. Some of the dining area is very smokey. The wait is quite long. We waited for 30 minutes before we got our 20 stick satay (10 beef and 10 chicken). The satay size is reasonable. To me the taste of the satay is on the sweet side and no spice taste. I prefer more spices taste in the marinade. Didn't taste lemongrass or any common marinade of traditional satay. The kuah kacang is so so to my preference. The only good thing I like is the nasi impit. It's soft and fluffy. As a big fan of satay, I think this place is a bit overrated. I do understand it receives a lot of publicity from travellers/ influencers. But this is away from the concept of traditional satay and a bit too sweet to my taste.
Zulhilmi I — Google review
This is a hidden gem in KL. Saw this place from a youtube post by a Japanese vlogger, so decide to try it. It's run from the porch of a home, so it's rustic and easily missed. When we reached, one of the staff was fast to approached us to take our order. He said if you want fruit juices, you can order at the food truck opposite, so its good they are ok with it.The satays are priced just right. All the types of satay are thick. It's like 2 satay serving in one. I like that the beef satay has a layer of fats. The chicken satay has a slice of skin. Makes it nicer as these parts absorb the marinate. The gravy is just nice and spicy. Even the teh tarik is creamy and not too sweet. My grab driver didn't know this shop existed and told me he would try it with his family. That's how it's a hidden gem. Do try it when in KL.

Indian restaurant
Nasi Kandar Pelita is a popular mamak joint in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, known for its affordable and delicious Muslim-Indian cuisine. Open 24 hours a day, it attracts people with favorites like roti canai and its namesake dish, nasi kandar. Situated near the iconic Twin Towers in the Golden Triangle area, this family-owned business has expanded to over 50 outlets since its inception in 1998.
Nasi Kandar Pelita Bangsar finally reopened on 1 October 2025 after a month of renovation. Cozy new look with wooden tables and chairs, perfect to hang out. Best part I can enjoy my teh tarik again!

If I could give zero star for this place, I would. I don’t normally write reviews, but this time I feel compelled to warn people. The roti pisang here was an absolute disaster. It was soggy, dry, and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours — making the entire dish absolutely disgusting. This is nowhere near Malaysian standards… it’s honestly embarrassing for a place like Pelita to serve something this bad. Save your money and your appetite; there are much better options elsewhere.
Alicia T — Google review
I used to come here in the early 2000s, when the food was decently ok. A recent visit 25 years later in Aug 2025, revealed that the food quality here has now dropped drastically from back then. Sadly, to earn money nowadays, most businesses cut corners and try to save on quality ingredients. But the current generation doesn't know how good quality food used to taste like. Anyway, price is still reasonable here, but the food quality is down. Just the nice corner shop atmosphere still remains.

Disappointed experience. Poor sour face service to take order. Roti canai never ask n cut into tiny pieces. Somemore super small size. Maggi mee goreng size ok but too wet. Sup kambing was disappointing. Taste some much different from before. Serve without coriander. When requested for it, the waiter said don’t have without checking with the kitchen. Later i saw another staff took the coriander out. Pure laziness n bad service. Atmosphere was not good as those customers sitting outside are smoking but no one stop them

This is easily the worst rojak/pasembur you will find in Malaysia. Cold, uninspiring and tasteless, textureless cucur. The sauce... I don't even know how to describe it. Like they mixed starch and leftover soup. The sauce has ZERO peanuts in it. It is the worse rojak sauce in the history of Malaysia. Shame on you Pelita!

Came here after 6 years. The food was great, service was quick, the waiters don’t talk much but they get the job done. Nasi Lemak CT Garden has been a staple in Kampung Baru for three decades, consistently meeting high expectations. The stall is renowned for its fragrant coconut rice, served with quartered hard-boiled eggs and Sambal Ikan Bilis. Additionally, popular side dishes like sambal tempeh and beef rendang contribute to its appeal among Kuala Lumpur's street food scene.
I ate here few years ago. I like the nasi lemak. It was wrapped in banana leaf which added the aroma. They have variation of dishes to eat with the nasi lemak. Definitely worth to eat here. Very affordable and delicious.👏🏼

I visited this place for dinner during my stay in Kuala Lumpur. I didn’t plan to go to this place but the place I wanted to go was closed due to renovations. But I was not disappointed. This place is a very simple restaurant but popular with locals. It’s a buffet setting and you can choose what you want and move to the cashier to pay. On your way there, you can select what you want to drink, and the service personnel will prepare it for you. The staff was friendly, and the food was great

The RM1 nasi lemak bungkus is just ok but the additional sambals are really nice, priced at RM5 per plate. Sambal sotong is RM5 per piece, they cut into smaller pieces and serve on the small plate. My favourite is the sambal paru.. very tasty. Environment is good to, plenty of seats and clean.

Not a lot of people know this place unless they stay or work in kg baru. Nasi lemak itself is cheap and tasted ok. The "lauk" or sides were average in terms of price and taste. But the cleanliness of the place can be improve. Looks like abandoned restaurant. Do some renovation please.. Roadside parking only, if you're not lucky, you have to make a big circle through chow kit to get back here..

Discover the fiery and thrilling flavors of Seni SattiSorru, a local favorite dish that will set your taste buds ablaze. Each clay pot is meticulously crafted from scratch using a unique blend of herbs and spices, combined with your choice of meats and rice, then cooked over high heat to create an intensely flavorful experience with every bite. Arrive early at 10 am to savor their popular Claypot chicken and curry rice before it's gone.
Visit date: 6/4/2023 Ordered 3 types of sattisorru - chicken, prawn and mutton. All were very tasty and well cooked with pretty good portion of meat / seafood. Favourite is the mutton one - rice is so much more flavourful and fragrant compared to the other 2. It’s pretty spicy so for those with low spice tolerance, do take note. Service is good and staffs are friendly. Parking is quite a problem here but there are some parking spaces behind the restaurant that you can try, otherwise, most people will just park by the side of the road. They have a staff standing outside assisting with parking.

One of my favourite spots for late night eats. The stall opens until 11pm, but their shop closes at bit earlier I think. The outdoor seating is nice because they put air cond and alot of fan so its windy. Our go to order is prawn and squid satisorru. The prawn has the savoury taste. Both are more on the spicy side and you get a lot of protein in your meal. 5 big prawn for the regular bowl, only for RM 19. You get free drinks as well. The staff are polite and nice, but you have to wait a while for your food as its made to order. However it always comes piping hot so its worth the wait. Parking at roadside, depends on availability. If full, you can park at the roadside behind it.

This was, without a doubt, one of the most disappointing meals I have ever had. The dish itself was a mess of small, bony pieces of meat, drowning in a greasy, watery sauce that had no discernible flavor. The meat was tough and gristly, and there was hardly any actual substance to eat, just a pile of bones. Even the rice was a sorry sight, looking old and scattered. I left feeling hungry and cheated. The price was way too high for such a poor quality and poorly prepared dish. This is not a first time this the third time i experience this kind of foods. If you're a fan of mystery meat served with an existential crisis, this is the place for you.I would not recommend this place to anyone.

What a bad experience. Overpriced. Overhyped. Ordered tiruvizha sapadu and it was just too much rice with only one cheapest choice of vege (cabbage) and then just curry powder mixed with water with very tough mutton pieces. Couldn't even bite the mutton. The curry was purely red curry powder. Ordered chicken 65 and it was tasteless. Only thing nice was the mooru. Please avoid at all cost. Go find a real tiruvizha and enjoy the authentic taste.

And the chicken 65 🤤 Place was busy but the staff all still quite friendly and efficient lah. one young guy saran very soft-spoken and polite and also helped us with our order calmly. Inside also got others moving fast, cleaning tables, keeping things smooth. Vibes quite happening but not too loud. Perfect for makan with family or even just solo if you want to wallop good food. Auntie will come again no doubt. Next time maybe try their fish set see if it got that “ooh la la” feeling or not 😋 Value for Money 🤑

First time try this place based on my parents suggestion. It was a lot of people for starters. Better to come early as soon as it opens to avoid long queue and waiting. Ordered the curry mutton for 2 people. And curry chicken as well with fried sotong. The wait for the food to arrive was about 45 mins by my calculation. It's because they cook from scratch the minute you start to order. Overall the taste was pretty good. The mutton was tender 👍 the chicken was also pretty good. Make sure you order the soda herbs drink to counter back with the curry taste for a soothing finish 😁👌

Breakfast restaurant
Capital Nasi Dagang Kelantan @ Damansara Utama is a delightful culinary gem that brings the authentic flavors of Kelantan to Kuala Lumpur. Originally located in Kota Bharu, this family-run establishment has made its mark in the bustling PJ neighborhood with its signature nasi dagang.
Capital Nasi Dagang Kelantan is a humble spot that truly shines with its signature nasi dagang. The dish is rich, flavorful, and easily one of the best you can find around, making it worth coming back for. The laksam, on the other hand, is average, decent but nothing that stands out compared to the nasi dagang, which is clearly the star here. The place is run by a friendly family, and their warm service adds a personal touch to the experience. With its typical kopitiam vibes, it’s casual and unpretentious, perfect for a hearty, satisfying meal. If you’re craving authentic Kelantanese nasi dagang, this is the place to be.
Edmund J — Google review
Food Review: Hidden Gem for Nasi Dagang Lovers This small family-run eatery has been quietly serving authentic flavors for over 12 years, and while it may not be well-known to the masses, it offers a unique culinary experience for those who stumble upon it. Known for its fresh sauces flown in daily from the East Coast, this spot delivers a taste that stands out, despite a few areas for improvement. Atmosphere: ★★★☆☆ The furniture is simple but well-arranged, giving the restaurant a cozy, casual feel. However, the lack of air conditioning makes it a bit uncomfortable during warmer days, especially in the afternoon. While it’s a decent place to enjoy a meal, a cooler environment would enhance the experience significantly. Service: ★★★☆☆ Service is friendly and efficient, with the husband-and-wife duo and their children managing everything smoothly. Orders are taken promptly, and food is served fairly quickly. However, with such a small team, the service could potentially lag during peak hours. Food: ★★★★☆ The highlight of the meal is undoubtedly their Nasi Dagang, which is a must-try. The rice is perfectly cooked, aromatic, and infused with spices that pair exceptionally well with the sauce. The sauce itself, flown in fresh daily, is rich, flavorful, and elevates the dish to near perfection. My favorite combination is the fish and beef, where the fish is tender and fresh, and the beef is well-seasoned and succulent. However, the portions are relatively small for the price, which might leave big eaters feeling unsatisfied. That said, the quality and taste of the food make up for the smaller serving sizes. Parking: ★☆☆☆☆ Parking is the biggest downside of visiting this spot. It’s almost impossible to find a space nearby, making it a frustrating experience for diners. A viable alternative is parking at Starling Mall across the street, though it adds some inconvenience. Will I Come Again? Yes, I would return for the distinct flavors and fresh ingredients. The Nasi Dagang is a dish worth coming back for, especially for casual food lovers who appreciate authentic East Coast flavors. Ideal Time to Visit Visit during off-peak hours, either mid-morning or late afternoon, to avoid crowds and minimize the struggle with parking. Legend • ★☆☆☆☆ = Bad • ★★★☆☆ = Average • ★★★★★ = Excellent Alternative Recommendation (★★★★★) For a similar yet more convenient experience, try Kampung Kravers at Starling Mall. They serve equally authentic East Coast-inspired dishes in a more comfortable, air-conditioned setting, with ample parking available.

A pork free nasi dagang restaurant run by Kelantanese Chinese. Love how homely their food tasted and most important not too spicy for people like me who don’t tolerate spiciness well. The chicken and beef rendang is tender and aromatic, however the keropok lekor and spring roll its a bit dry. One thing for sure is, this restaurant is MSG free 👍🏻

One of the most authentic Nasi Dagang in town. Their delicious gulai tongkol paired with creamy, flavourful and fragrant nasi dagang is my favourite Kelantanese dish from the shop. Parking is a bit difficult to get on weekdays. But the takeaway packaging is good so it's safe to use Grabfood. Highly recommended.

Tried the nasi dagang beef and chicken, delicious! The taste is very authentic. Portion is standard and feeling full. Although full, but still not getting enough of the flavour!🤤 the beef and chicken are both tender, infused with deep and aromatic spices, carrying layer of savoury. The Kuah is also has its perfect balance of creaminess and bold spices. tried the popiah, freshly fried, so crispy and hot! Match with the chilli sauce is so yummy. Price range varies based on what sort of food ordered. The price is reasonable based on the location and the taste. Will come back again.

Was recommended by a friend when we said we like Kelantan food. Specially came by on a holiday. Not as authentic as in Kelantan. The ulam on the side is SAD... Service is nonchalant and cold at best. Young lady taking our order looked like she just woke up, wishing she wasn't there. When we walked in, got a vibe of 'why you come in'... Only the old lady seemed to be 'alive'. And the sad nasi dagang with a side of cabbage at RM 22 is too expensive.

Chinese noodle restaurant
Restoran Super Kitchen is known for its meticulously prepared dishes, with even simple items bursting with flavor. The owner, Albert Khoo, ensures that every ingredient, including the chili flakes which take half a day to prepare, meets high standards. Despite the seemingly straightforward menu, the food is delicious and rich in taste. Customers can expect swift service and generous portions when they visit this restaurant.
Used to come here when this was their first and only store. They've since moved next door into a newly renovated space (was their prep lot) and boy, has the decor changed! Apparently, Super Kitchen has dozens of stores now including 3 in Singapore. The Chow Kit branch is finally updated after 20-odd years. It's fully air-conditioned, very comfortable and pretty stylish now. Old store was a basic mom-pop shop kopitiam, with their kids helping out. This brand has come a long way from its humble origins. The noodles are about the same. Big portions. Generous toppings. I still wouldn't say the classic dry chili pan mee is as good as Kin Kin across the road but it's close. And what it lacks in this dish, Super Kitchen makes up for in a more generous portion-size, a bigger variety of dishes and dessserts and thankfully, the lack of a grumpy uncle serving you. You don't know how many 'fights' we've had with that Kin Kin fellow over our orders. And that guy's not even the boss! And that's all it takes really, for me to cross the road to Super Kitchen. I like the curry pan mee here. It's thick, rich, full of toppings and the small portion is big enough.

The signature chilli pan mee portion is quite big. The chilli to be added by own self, according to our taste and requirements after the pan mee been served. The chilli taste sweet and spicy, we can add up to our spiciness acceptance level. Generally the pan mee taste delicious.
Kok S — Google review
Patronized this Restaurant with an open mind, as no one recommended them to us. Anyway, its worth our effort as they were able to deliver a rather good bowl of Dry Chilli Pan Mee to us. Noodles were springy, chewy and coated in a light sheen of aromatic shallot oil. Topped with minced meat, fried shallots, heap pf crispy ikan billis and soft poached egg. Like many of the stores that offer Chilli Pan Mee, we had to add in dry chilli flakes by ourselves, which i personally do not prefer as we could not get the balance between the intended savouriness and spiciness by the operator. However, due to the rich base sauce, self addition of chilli flakes did not overwhelm the overall flavour. Thus each bite were still able to carry layers of flavour — the richness of the egg, the umami of the braised minced meat, crispy ikan billis, and that lingering chilli heat (Its spicy) that makes the dish comforting and satisfying for us.
Chua B — Google review
The chili pan mee here is really delicious! The noodles are springy, the chili is fragrant but not too spicy, and the portion is generous and affordable. The price is cheap, and the atmosphere is nice — definitely worth coming back!❤️❤️❤️

Similar Taste, But Better Noodles Visited this branch after trying the ones in SS2 and Kota Damansara, and the taste is quite consistent across outlets. Ordered their Dry Chili Pan Mee — the chili is free-flow, so you can adjust the spiciness to your liking, similar to the opposite shop, Kin Kin Restaurant. However, their chili flakes are slightly milder and less aromatic compared to Kin Kin’s. On the bright side, the noodles here are much better — springy, smooth, and with a satisfying texture that really stands out. Other Notes: •Price & Portion – Reasonably priced with a good portion size. •Environment – The shop is newly renovated, clean, and modern-looking. •Service – They have plenty of staff and service was attentive even during the busy lunch hour. •Crowd – Expect a packed house during lunch, just like the opposite shop. •Parking – Limited parking spaces, so you may need to use paid parking nearby. •Accessibility – About an 8-minute walk from the monorail station. Verdict: If you prefer better noodles over stronger chili, this branch might be your pick. A solid option for Dry Chili Pan Mee lovers in the area.

This unique venue offers an unforgettable atmosphere for special occasions such as birthdays or romantic dinners. This is the most exciting experience that l ever feel.. whereby We eat our dinner on the sky.. I think it very high but I enjoy it.. the food was great and nice texture.. beside, the service also good and efficient.. the price were to expensive but still worth it.. the view from top there was very nice and cosy...highly recommended this place.

Come for the experience. The food was very average. The service was nice, safe, and I enjoyed the fact that you could really twist your seat so your hands can't feel any chairs and tables and push your seat all the way down. It felt quite exhilarating, and I enjoyed it. Would have loved more pictures on the menu so I could make my choice better because the food was not amazing, but overall I enjoyed it a fair bit.

Such an amazing experience of having your dinner or late lunch at 50 meters high, rounding 360 degrees every now and then while your seat can turn 180 degrees, food is delicious, staff are friendly and always smile, professional safety team on board, nothing to worry about and at the end of the day they give you printed photos of you once you are safely landed. Highly recommended for the people who doesn't have a problem with heights
Aalkfiri — Google review
It was a awesome Valentine for us. Once in a lifetime dining in the sky experience. The food is amazing. Food Deco and food quality are fantastic. Chef is from 5 star hotel. But the food portion is small. The best section is around 7-8pm. You can experience from sunset till the night of the city. Personally I'm terrified of heights, at the beginning I'm not comfortable. But after 10 min, I already used to it so I can enjoy the view of city. Overall it is worth to try and give your partner a memorable dinning experience.
Martin C — Google review
Worth the experience! The staff are courteous, the food is great but most especially, the view of Malaysia's business district is magnificent, especially the twin towers just being a few blocks away. Do note that the KL tower is being blocked mostly but can still be seen a bit compared to the advertisement. The only one preventing me from getting it into 5 star is the venue itself is less presentable. The parking space leading to the entrance proper is made of stones and rubble. But maybe this is there way not to jack up the price, after all you will not be staying on the ground. The food i would say is good. We had chicken and beef. And while the chicken stands out than the fillet mignon, I would give kudos to the yam as the side dish.
Reejem G — Google review
The experience to dine at a high level is very impressive to me and all my guest. The best part is the memory and excitement. Food is good and service is excellent as everyone is very warm and friendly. Some feedback would be that the waiting time to go up is a little long and boring while waiting at the lounge. The price is very expensive nevertheless worth the experience.

50m above the ground with the view of the city and a great three course dinner. Starter: fresh mozzarella w rocket salad drizzled with pesto Main course: chicken with sweet potato mash, glazed carrots and sauce Dessert: mango panacotta with coconut truffle and raspberry coolie with sugar curls A dinner worth the value. Good music. Price per person: 300 rm + Highly recommend it. Great for romantic dinners and birthday celebration.

Sze Ngan Chye Roasted Duck is a popular roadside stall located in the bustling Petaling Street of Kuala Lumpur. Since the 1950s, it has been drawing crowds with its delicious roast duck, attracting long queues as early as 8:00 AM. The stall has no seating, so takeaway is the only option for patrons eager to savor their juicy charcoal-roasted duck.
Ок this is truly a hidden gem in Petaling Street. Run by second generation already, this aunty sells one of the best and juicy duck I’ve ever eaten. I’ve been eating this since I was a kid, and now that I’m back, so surprised they’re still here!!! They don’t sell quarter or by parts. Only whole duck or half of it. Ranging from 80-40 ringgit ONLY!! I highly recommend to buy this back for a nice family dinner at home for duck lovers!!!
Daryl — Google review
This is like a nostalgic moment haven’t had eaten this duck for over 15 years and I’m glad the stall is still there. I only managed to find the stall on the 3rd day because they close early. So if you want to buy it better go and get it early. I packed the duck back to Singapore, put it in the fridge overnight and had it for dinner the next day. Heated it covered in the oven for a few minutes and the duck meat was still soft and really nice. Will become a must buy when I go back again.
Pynk T — Google review
Succulent, well-marinated and finger-licking. The best roasted duck I have ever tried. Lightly salted and peppered, infused with a hint of herbs and roasted to perfection. The meat is not chewy and the skin has a light crisp. The duck can be bought whole or half. It comes with two different sauces. Sweet and salty. My personal choice is the salty sauce, which is actually drippings from the cavity of the duck. The old- looking push cart, which they use to store their ducks and marinated duck feet, is a familiar sight in Petaling Street. Those who grow up eating Sze Ngan Chai salted roast ducks can attest to that. Do come early to avoid disappointment. Their ducks get sold out very fast.
Mah W — Google review
My favourite roast duck in KL. Only for take away. The roast duck is best to eat on its own, or to pair with plain porridge. The skin and meat are so yummy. They selling the duck as a whole at RM60/duck, or half at RM30. Also they also selling some 'duck feet bun' / 鸭脚包 (forgot to ask about the price).
LeeChin L — Google review
Best roast duck that one can get in Klang Valley. Frequented this stall since the founder's days some 25 years ago. Used to marvel on the ease that he chops up a roasted duck. The stall is now ran by his 2 daughters - one is friendlier while the other has similar trait of the father i.e. talk little and just concentrate on chopping up the duck. The duck comes with a salty sauce and a sweet sauce. Personally, prefer the salty sauce which is drained from the duck after roasting. The duck feet and liver is an acquired taste. Try it at least once.
WorstDad — Google review
No doubt, the taste is still maintained good for many decades since their father until daughters business. Only don't understand why they still using this dirty old mini stall? If tourists or first-timer, might think so dirty and oily image...well, the only one here. This year 2021, duck price cheaper than last year. Used to be my favourite roasted duck but not anymore - their price is still expensive than others, quite oily and size is shrinking too.
Liliankuan K — Google review
This has to be the best roast duck in Chinatown! Super meaty, salty and so juicy, this stall is a must stop on Petaling street. Not only is it delicious but the stall has been running for over 70 years, so they know what they are doing! Stop by earlier in the day before they sell out, it’s that good they always do. Check out our channel for a full review of our experience: Hungry Two Travel.
Hungry T — Google review
Have been eating this stall since young, and still one of the best roast duck you could get in town. They are selling salted roast duck, ( not the crispy skin type ). The duck, and the given broth by itself is salty. Pair it with rice or porridge for the right combo. The selling point is their tender meat, and the gorgeous, yet sinful 鸭脚包(duck feet, duck liver tied with intestine, cook in sort of sweet charsiu sauce or equivalent ) They are selling 1/2 or whole duck. Be sure to try it out whenever you are in Petaling Street.

review in current 2025 Gen Z format: RAMLY BURGER: Low-key 🔥, High-key Vibe Okay, so I legit stumbled onto this spot. It's giving hidden gem vibes, tucked away with a bunch of other stalls behind a major government office building. It was actually buzzing (a good sign!), so I had to check it out. The Tea: No diet options, which is a major L if you're counting cals, but everything is totally fresh and Halal, period. Full disclosure: The location is a little unhinged. The exhaust fumes are kinda spicy, and the drainage situation is... a situation. It's giving "authentic street food experience," I guess? 💀 Also, the foreign tourist energy was wild. Saw a few white backpackers milling around, which was sus since I was the only other non-local. This might be a low-key Lonely Planet or TikTok viral secret spot. The Burger (The Main Character): Straight fire. The beef patty was cooked perfectly—super tender. It was wrapped up in an omelette blanket with chef's kiss melted cheese and some crisp salad. The bun? Fresh-fresh. They didn't skimp on the sauces either: ketchup, BBQ, and a good chili kick. The Verdict: It slaps. Final Score: 8/10. That's a huge W, tbh. I'm def pulling up again. The Damage: Burger + a tiny Coke with ice = RM14.00 (Bargain!)

Restoran Nasi Kandar Pelita has a fascinating history that dates back to 1995 when it began as a small coffee shop in Taman Chai Leng, Perai, Penang. Since then, it has expanded into a successful international chain with over 20 branches in KL, PJ, Perak, Penang and even India.

Our tour guide brought us to Nasi Kandar Pelita after our visit to the Twin Towers. It was jam packed when we arrived, clearly a very popular spot. The atmosphere was lively and the service moved quickly despite the crowd. It was definitely a bit pricier than most local places we’ve dined at, but the variety of dishes available was impressive. My husband had the fish, mutton curry, eggplant and rice, while I got two jumbo prawns, karela, rice and some delicious chicken gravy. We also ordered two fresh coconut waters which were perfect to cool down. My husband got the biryani for our two daughters (aged 5 and 6) but it turned out too spicy for them — something to keep in mind for those with young kids. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and experience. A busy, flavorful stop in the heart of KL.
Foodieextreme F — Google review
such a disappointing experience. the place is huge and crowded, yet only a few waiters were working, service was painfully slow both to order and to get the food. it was hot, noisy, and uncomfortable. the food was just okay and affordable, and yes, they’re open 24 hours, but the lousy service and bad atmosphere make it not worth coming back.

We had a family dinner here and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The service was fast and efficient. The dishes were varied and delicious. I ordered the biryani, which was very tasty, and the Nasi Lemak, which was very tempting. We arrived around 10 p.m. on a Thursday, not a weekend, but it was still very busy. I think this is one of the best nasi kandar in Kuala Lumpur.
Riyad F — Google review
The location is easily to find, situated in the city center near popular attractions such as the KLCC Tower, etc. There is a parking area available for those arriving by Personal vehicle. The space is spacious and well-suited for gatherings or dining with large groups. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes not only Nasi Kandar, but also options like Nasi Biryani, Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai, and a selection of refreshing beverages. During lunchtime, the restaurant attracts many visitors; however, the waiting time remains short thanks to the well-organized queue system and attentive staff. Prices are reasonable. I ordered both food and a drink for a total of around RM20. Although there are several branches, the flavor at this location feels particularly iconic. Highly recommended!

Honestly, I really love Nasi Kandar Pelita! 🙌 I know there are quite a lot of mixed reviews, but personally, I keep coming back. Maybe it’s because this is the only nasi kandar I’ve ever tried — but the flavors are just so rich and satisfying. The food really suits my taste, and my experience here has always been good. Definitely worth trying if you love bold, flavorful food! 🍛✨

Great place for nasi kandar/Indian-Malay food! We went around 8pm on a weekend night and it was quite busy but we didn’t have to line up of nasi kandar. Service was super efficient and lots of side dishes to choose from. Portion was generous and flavourful but would love more curry sauce. Roti canai was good too. Very spacious, lots of tables and relatively clean as well. Good place to have a meal after walking around KLCC

As you can see in this picture there is a fly or maybe some other insect is in my food. I didn’t go there and buy but I brought it at Shopee food. Eventhough I brought at online still I pay my money for this. Imagine eating half way in hunger but you saw this and you can’t eat anymore. The prices are soo good but can’t even keep those foods areas clean. I’m sure if it’s clean it would never happened. This is not a first time it’s happening to me at pelita. Some other branches too. Burger on 16 is a popular and trendy restaurant located in the heart of KL, offering a down-to-earth dining experience with classic meat and vegetarian burgers, as well as a variety of shakes and desserts. The menu primarily features meat options, but they are willing to accommodate vegan requests.
Absolutely, definitely the best burgers I’ve ever eaten in my lifetime. I dream about these burgers. Oh my goodness the meat is juicy and delicious. WOW WOW WOW! My husband and I look forward dining here whenever we are on holidays in KL. We even brought family and friends along to try and they loved it! I wish this restaurant was in Australia! I really recommend this burger restaurant to anyone with a good appetite for big, juicy, mouthwatering burgers!
Miray E — Google review
Ordered the double cheeseburger and vampire. We liked the double cheeseburger more, as the beef were juicier. The tastes were quite balanced, too. The meat was a bit bland, though. For the vampire burger, possibly the garlic taste overpowered the meat as we can't taste any beef. Bun was good, cooked nicely. The cafe atmosphere could be improved. There was no music, so it was too quiet. All staffs were on their smartphones, the only sounds we can hear are the videos that they were watching. Staffs were polite, though.
Jia L — Google review
The burger restaurant was located right next to our accommodation, so we decided to give it a try. The menu offers a wide variety of choices, which made the decision not so easy. Our order was taken quickly and prepared in no time. The burgers tasted great, although the fries couldn’t quite keep up. Overall, good taste and fair prices.
Marco T — Google review
For a good burger fix, this place is certainly not short on variety. There's a good selection of beef and chicken burgers but the beef excels in almost every level. Tried the double cheese burger with the fried mozzarella and the meat was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The provided sauces are also notably good. The interior decor is not the greatest or cleanest nor are the staff the friendliest but in the end you're just there for the food, and for that I think they do what they do very well.
Elby — Google review
Best burgers in KL! Burgers were juicy tender and so yummy. Wont recommend the mushroom swiss nor smashed though. California was the best then comes the double cheeseburger.
Reem A — Google review
Tried two of their best-selling burgers and they were just okay, nothing to rave about. The atmosphere could definitely be improved, maybe with some background music to liven things up. The cleanliness was a bit questionable, and the place didn’t feel very well-maintained. I also noticed it mostly catered to Middle Eastern tourists, with hardly any locals dining in. Prices are on the higher side, clearly targeting tourists, and parking in the area is quite a challenge. Overall, not a spot I’d rush back to.
Sanjay — Google review
The best burgers I’ve ever had — no exaggeration. Burger on 16 completely blew me away. I’ve tried burgers all over — from gourmet to street food — but this place takes the crown. I had the Mad Burger and honestly, I’m speechless. The patty was juicy, perfectly cooked, the flavors just clicked, and the sauce was next level. The onion rings? Super crispy and flavorful, not greasy at all. The sweet potato fries were amazing too — crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, with just the right touch of salt. Everything felt fresh and made with care. Friendly staff, cool vibe, and fast service. If you’re in KL and love burgers — this is a must. Can’t wait to go back.

Quite a hidden place for such a bomb and filling meal. Not much crowd in the early afternoons. Only 2-3 pax inside dining. Calm atmosphere. Tried their California Cheese Skirt. Extremely cheesy. Tried out this foodcourt on a Monday lunchtime. It can get really packed since it is frequented by locals and tourists. And although the place is big, it can still be a challenge to get a table during peak meal hours. The foodcourt offers plenty of selection, be it local cuisine, korean, chinese, middle eastern, and more. Most of the food that I tried tasted delicious and the portion was hefty as well. And if you’re looking for sweets, definitely go try the Kunafa from Tarbush, it was superb! — the line in each stall can be long, but it moves rather fast — on average, I spend around 30-50 Ringgit for a full meal during lunch time (the photos attached are for 2 people). But it will depend on what you’re getting — always try to get a table first before ordering

The Signature foodcourt located at KLCC has a great variety of food selection ranging from local Malaysian cuisine to Korea, Japanese, Italian and fast food etc. The food at the foodcourt is reasonably priced and taste wise acceptable and therefore it is always crowded especially during lunch and dinner time. The fried kuey teow was not bad and the pizza was surprisingly quite tasty.

ALL UNDER 1 ROOF! It's a true haven for anyone who loves variety. They have a massive selection of stalls offering everything from local Malaysian favorites to international delights like Japanese tendon and hummus. Finding something for everyone is a breeze, and with a huge seating space, you never have to worry about scrambling for a table. Plus, the whole place is clean and well-maintained, making for a comfortable dining experience. On my recent visit, I tried both the hummus and the Japanese tendon rice, and let me tell you, they were both delicious! The hummus was fresh and flavorful, while the tendon rice was perfectly cooked and packed with savory goodness. Overall, Signatures Food Court is a fantastic option for a quick, delicious, and affordable meal. With its wide variety, spacious seating, and clean environment, it's definitely a place I'll be returning to again and again.

Location: 3rd floor (level 2) of the mall. Plenty of seats and if you are lucky enough you can even have a nice view to the park. Excellent. Payment: i paid by cash, i think credit card is also accepted. Do note that it’s not like in Thailand where you buy a card at the cashier and pay everything with that card. Here in KL you hand cash directly to each stall. Taste: personally it’s not that delicious for me. Despite the big portion everything tastes quite bland, kinda sweet and lacks balance. I had similar experience of eating Malay food at the airport and it was surely better. They have a variety of food choices like Japanese and Southern Asian food. Price: i guess it’s very reasonable and even cheap compare to other restaurants I have checked out. Savory dishes starts from RM13. Dishes from lamb would cost more, around 40-60RM while chicken cost the least.

Subway @ Pavilion KL is a casual counter-serve chain that offers build-your-own sandwiches and salads, including health-conscious options. During a recent visit, new menus and bread selections were noticed, although the "Sub of the day" promotions were missed. Despite the initial choice of the "Tri-Pepper Chicken Sub" being out of stock, a Turkey Breast & Chicken Slice on Garlic bread was enjoyed for RM12.60 nett.
Great as always. Nice seating arrangement. God place to rest in the big Pavilion market.

Good place for a light lunch. Service is good and they piece the sandwiches well (other places have it falling apart) but slightly slow, possibly because it is quite a busy shop. Ingredients seem fresh. A few seats there but does not seem very well cleaned - a lot of crumbs on chairs. Overall, would come for a healthier quick bite.

It's been quite a time since I visited Subway (before MCO) and seem like they launched several brand new menus & bread selections during this period. Kinda missed their "Sub of the day" promotions though. Food court
Taste Of Asia Foodcourt is a cozy cafe tucked away in downtown KL, offering simple yet satisfying Asian comfort food. Despite its small size, the owners have created a welcoming atmosphere adorned with souvenirs from their travels. While unexpected, this spot also serves a variety of beverages including unique options like butterfly pea flower latte and a selection of craft beers from Taiwan. It's definitely worth a visit for those seeking an authentic taste of Asia in the heart of the city.
Lots of cuisine to choose from, Malay, Thai, Chinese and Steamboat. Not expensive, love the vegetarian corner at the left back, after 8pm it’s 50% off!

Good variety of cuisine styles, lots of tables available, RM5~20/meal, ideal for tourists on a budget. All stalls require the food court card, RM1 deposit and balance is refundable. Do try the authentic grilled stingray~okra curry (pari bakar) at stall #23 at RM10. Way better than the cheap stalls cooking all kinds of dishes with rice, beef ginger was mediocre, about 4~5 bits of beef floating in ginger sauce. Chicken teppanyaki rice and gyoza were nice at RM17. Tom Yam soup was average. Also, too bad we noticed the indian stall after our meal, (on the right) serving roti canai and roti tisu and many curries. Ice kacang and cold drinks available too. Will sure come again.

Actually, the food looks great! However, we did not try as the lady was rude! She was NOT very accommodating! “If you are not welcome, find somewhere else” You will always get a better one 😉 Thank You… next 😇😇😇

For the under 10RM its value for a quick bite of hawker style dishes. Don't expect huge dishes and restaurant service this is Malaysia style. Want restaurant style go elsewhere. Loved the value of melayu and padan store if you know your kandar under 20RM is genuine. Saw comments about self serve steamboat U cook it yourself at table, so got poisoning who is really at fault. Will be back easier than chancing hawker street food for the KL novice.

I liked it that it has been renovated and much more easier to get around. Air conditioned works much better seating and foods great.

McDonald's KL Sentral is a well-known fast-food chain recognized for its classic burgers and fries. Interestingly, there is also a McDonald's located inside the KL Tower, making it the highest McDonald's globally. Despite limited breakfast burger options, they offer unique items like nasi lemak. Additionally, it's commendable that they employ staff with disabilities. Customers have praised the polite and accommodating service even during closing hours when placing orders at the counter due to kiosk malfunction.
Visited at 4pm on weekday. No queue, took few minutes or less for my food. Cleaning staff wiping table mopping floor. Shop looks neat. A female counter staff was surprisingly hospitable and nice. Chicken was fresh. Wish all other MacDonalds in KL have standard like this place.

Nice place to hang and eat especially if you need to sit somewhere to pass time. Ordering is quick but getting the food takes forever.

I dropped by this outlet to have a quick bite. I'm not sure whether it was my first time but surely things look new to me. They have high chairs with private eating spaces and an open space with plenty of seatings. Nice ambience. Fast service. Friendly and polite staff.

Food is usual, what I wanna complement is the extra service they provided. I accidentally ordered at KL Sentral while I was at NU Sentral. Picked up the order much later than expected, however they changed a new pack of french fries to me!

Damascus Bukit Bintang is a popular dining spot in Kuala Lumpur known for its delicious shawarma and flavorful garlic sauce. Despite the long queues, the wait is worth it as the menu offers a variety of tasty dishes. Customers have praised the good quality of meat and found everything from shawarma to other menu options to be simply amazing. While some found the Muhammara too sweet, overall, the dining experience was very satisfying.
Second time here. Had a very pleasant lunch experience so the queue was definitely worth it. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations. The ambience was exquisite and all of the staff were friendly and could converse well in Malay and English. Fast service. Delicious food. Nice atmosphere and very reasonable prices. Highly recommended to try Syrian food in particular and Arabic food in general.

The place is like a mid sized mall of Mediterranean cuisines. Everywhere there are Arabic touches and designs. We had tried as many different dishes as possible though we couldn't eat too many. The rotis are delicious, as are their hummus. So smooth and well done. We also ordered their creamy curry chicken which was so saucy and it is not bad though i prefer it less sweet. The mix grill was alright too with the meats grilled to the right temperature. I like their banana chocolate dessert as it is quite a portion. Lastly, I could write off one thing off my list, that is I finally got to try Turkish coffee. Seeing is one thing, smelling is another while tasting is very different. Seeing through photos got me interested then when served, the aroma of the coffee is not atypical coffee but seem to be having cinnamons? Its unique. I like it though I wish it would be bigger in portion haha.

Been wanting to try this hyped place, finally we managed since we were in KL. The price of food was slightly pricey, however the quality of the food is on par. The service was commendable along with the well decorated restaurant. Even the dining was comfortable. The Damascus meat platter is a must try, the garlic sauce was a hit on every bite. However the Aryan was something to be forgotten, just not to my liking. And yes I finally got over my craving for freshly made Hummus !

Firstly, kudos to the staff team. They were all super attentive and helpful. Went around 8:30pm on Monday , looked long queue but cleared in about 15 minutes. Food was amazing and unexpectedly large portions. Pls consider to share the food if not a big eater. Overall amazing experience. And the ambience was exceptional, pretty place with class. Surely will visit again.

No matter how far you travel from home in the Middle East and try food from different regions, you'll always miss the flavors of your own country. This place is one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in the area! It’s not just Syrian cuisine they also serve Saudi dishes like Kabsa and Mandi, along with many other delicious options. A must try if you're in the area!

A True Syrian Culinary Gem in Kuala Lumpur 🇲🇾🇸🇾 One of the best Syrian restaurants I’ve ever visited—not just in Kuala Lumpur, but anywhere. From the moment you walk in, the entire experience is thoughtfully designed and well-organized. A friendly staff member greets you at the entrance to ask how many guests are with you and assigns you a table efficiently. It’s a smooth and systematic check-in process that sets a great first impression. Once seated, you’ll find QR code menus readily available, making it easy to browse their extensive offerings without delay. What really impressed me was the efficiency of the ordering system. When you're ready, you simply press a small bell on the table, and a staff member promptly arrives with a digital tablet to take your order. No waiting around, no confusion—just fast, modern service. I was genuinely shocked by how quickly the food arrived. I went to wash my hands, and by the time I returned, everything was already on the table. Mashallah, the speed and coordination in the kitchen are on another level. As for the food—absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic flavor, high quality, and clearly prepared with care. From the starters to the mains, everything felt fresh and true to Syrian cuisine. After our meal, I requested the bill using the same table system. They accept both cash and card, and the payment process was seamless. That gave me a moment to explore the place a bit more—and honestly, the interior deserves its own praise. The décor is elegant yet warm, with intricate touches that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a modern palace in Damascus. There are beautiful corners perfect for photos and memories with family or friends. Overall, this was not just a meal—it was an experience. Beautiful ambiance, outstanding service, and unforgettable food. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Syrian cuisine in a refined and welcoming setting. Truly one of a kind in KL!

My friend and I went there around 3PM on a Friday. There was no line and it was not crowded. The portion size is quite generous as it can feed 1-2 people. I ordered the Quarter Chicken Biryani and my friend had Mutton. It was good and it's worth to try. I eat here or have takeaway for the Shawarma whenever I visit around Bukit Bintang. You get what you paid for this includes the service, and it's worth it. 👍

Exceptionally good middle eastern restaurant right at the heart of KL. Among the best Arabic meals we’ve had outside the Middle East. Great menu with a balanced choice of food and beverages. Service always on point and the ambience is really good as well. Very convenient location as well. The restaurant is busy for the most part and rightfully so too. It would be wise to dine-in just outside of the peak lunch time. We were there by 12.30 pm for lunch as it was our first meal of the day and we could get our table with no waiting time. During peak hours, expect to wait for approx. 30-45 mins for the table. Highly recommended!

J'S GATE DINING offers a variety of Japanese food stalls, including one serving creamy curry udon and another offering desserts like daifuku, egg mayo sandwich, and chocolate fish cake. The creamy curry udon may not meet some expectations as it tastes more like potato than cream and is considered pricey for what it offers.
If you’re craving Japanese food in KL, there is a big variety here. You can order at different stalls and dine at the common area. Ordered from Ken-Chan Curry-non stop orders from customers during dinner and the Japanese curry was indeed yummy. We also had the softest warabi mochi for dessert! Got a mix of matcha and soybean

Finally tried Udon Ichiyutei at Lot 10 – and wow, what a great find! They’ve just been awarded their halal certificate, so Muslim diners can enjoy with peace of mind. The Creamy Curry Udon is a must-try – super rich, creamy, and full of flavour. Their Prawn Tempura Dashi Udon is also a crowd favourite, and now I get why! Clean and cozy environment too. Definitely worth a visit if you’re around Bukit Bintang.

We had their -Special Rich Chicken Ramen -Spicy Beef BBQ Ramen -Honolu Cutlet Curry -Spicy Fried Chicken -Grilled Chicken Dumpling I came without any expectation and to my surprise, everything was great! Ramen was rich yet addicting, Japanese curry was as authentic as it can get, and the fried chicken & dumpling was the crispy and flavourful. Would definitely pay another visit

Having dinner at torigen ramen. Torigen ramen restaurant has officially set the bar for "best ramen in town" in my book. I wholeheartedly recommend their spicy ramen. The broth? Absolutely incredible—thick, rich, and packed with layers of intense flavor. If you're a ramen lover, or even if you're just looking for a delicious, satisfying meal, you absolutely have to try this place.
