The Yokohama Landmark Tower is an iconic structure that stands tall in Japan, featuring a luxurious hotel, bustling mall, and modern office spaces. One of its highlights is the Sky Garden observation deck, where visitors can ascend in the country’s fastest elevator to enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views that stretch all the way to Tokyo and even majestic Mt. Fuji! The tower's stunning lights reflect beautifully on the bay waters below, creating a romantic atmosphere for couples strolling nearby.
Amazing panoramic views of Yokohama. The elevator is super fast and quiet. It is fun seeing the red brick warehouse, ferris wheel and other rides from far away. Take note of the photo signs facing each direction that explains the buildings in the view. There are places to sit, rest and have a drink without feeling rushed to leave. Other activities for children were taking place too.

An absolutely stunning view from the visitor's plattform. I was there on a Friday for the sunset, didn't have to que at all and went directly with a few people to the top for 1000 yen. It was absolutely worth it! Though the skies were clear, Mt Fuji was hidden as well as the setting sun. Nevertheless I went a few rounds, took seat at varois occasions and enjoyed a beer while the day fades and the lights go on in the agglomeration. In contrast to Tokyo Tower and the Sky tree, there are very few visitors and that alone is fantastic! No queing to go up or down and the possibility to watch the city from different spaces (on the Sky tree there are lines for certain spots). The highlights are the harbor, the ferris wheel and other rides below the tower and the surrounding city.
Walther X — Google review
Amazing experience. The views form the sky garden 69th floor are simply amazing. Nice little cafe and souvenir shop up there as well. 1000 yen admissions. The evelvator goes 28 mph. Your ears will pop. Check it out when visiting Yokohama. You can even see Mt Fuji.
Freddy C — Google review
Very recommended side for observatory deck, clean and tidy, 900 yenes entrance fee. The restaurant offered drinks, side dishes, beverages. Dishes consist of huge hot 🌭 dog, Nachos with 5 small sausages, drinks offered specialty drinks, coffee, teas, sodas like cola, ginger alle, Japanese mocha, juices like apple, orange, grapes. Very clean and not crowded.
Julio U — Google review
The former tallest building in Japan, you can take a quick ride to the 69th floor for great views from Yokosuka to Mount Fuji. There is a library, coffee shop, and gift shop at the top. There is ample seating and space to spend time at the top of the building. Highly recommend giving this a try if you are in Yokohama.
Pbandj37 — Google review
It was once the tallest building in Japan, now the second tallest but it still holds the record with the fastest elevator in Japan running at over 750 meters per second. The views are stunning and the sweets at the observation deck gift shop are tasty. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Yokohama.
Blazej K — Google review
I love the atmosphere on top of the tower. It is so much more relaxed than the Skytree with a lot less crowding. You can grab a drink from the bar and watch the sunset without time pressure. Both times I went to the tower I was able to see Fuji, one time only the silhouette and the other a clear view. Incredible.
Thorsten F — Google review
The elevetor is very fast!! Top speed is 750 m/min But you barely feel it, and the ear pressure is not as bad as we thought would be. Floor 69 was reached within one minute! For a ticket of 1000 yen, I guess it's worth it.

American restaurant
Hard Rock Cafe Yokohama is a rock 'n' roll-themed chain known for its high-energy vibe and American classics. The restaurant features music memorabilia and is located beside Minatomirais Landmark Tower, marked by a giant guitar outside. Visitors can enjoy a variety of burgers, including vegetarian options, while admiring artifacts owned by legends like Elvis and Mick Jagger.
I'm blown away by the recent renovation of Hard Rock Cafe Yokohama! The K-pop influence, especially the BTS vibes, is spot on. The food is still fantastic – the Mac & Cheese and BBQ Wings are my go-to. The Legendary Burger is a classic. I do miss the Spinach Dip, but the new atmosphere makes up for it. It's great they have a smoking area, but I wish there were more women's restrooms.
Megumi S — Google review
Food was not great. Onion ring were ok, they were crispy. Burgers were not good. Meat tasted boiled. Fries were not good either. Pulled pork sandwich was ok. Very expensive meal at $80 USD (11,000 JPY)
Stephanie P — Google review
They didn’t let me use my unity points even though I let the server know so before I ordered anything. She told me it will be taken care of at the counter after everything. So I went ahead and ordered 3 signature drinks (with a souvenir glass) and two appetizers. When we were ready to check out, they told me I couldn’t use my unity points because they were having a problem with the app. They did give me 20% off, but after the tax they pretty much gave me 10%off. Since I didn’t wanna make a scene and I’m not from the country, I paid what I ordered. The person at the counter told me I will gain some points for the purchase I made, but I never received it. I didn’t feel that I was in Japan at all because of the services and experience. I’ll definitely Not going back.
JB S — Google review
First time in many years to visit a Hard Rock Cafe. Experience was great. Service was excellent and very quick for food and drinks to arrive. Expensive for a Yokohama restaurant but generally Hard Rock is on the higher end. Budapest Burger was very tasty. Popped into the merchandise store as they had a Moon / Hard Rock collaboration, met the designer which was an added bonus. I will return in the future.

One the highlights of our Japan trip for sure. What a service 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. And the food was delicious. I had the Sukiyaki burger, their specialty burger, WOW !! The staff was amazing. And a special thanks to our waiter Kyotaro. You made our experience so much better.
MK H — Google review
Hard Rock Yokohama is always an exceptional and immersive music experience. The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff very professional and friendly. The food is, as always, high-quality and delicious. Prices are higher than average. It's definitely not something you should visit every week.

Fantastic place. The food was delicious. The staff super nice, friendly and with sense of humor. The price is like all Hard Rock Cafes around the world.
José R — Google review
We were looking for some American food and Hard Rock delivered. I got the bang bang shrimp appetizer and a small cesar salad. The salad was good. Beware the shrimp are pretty spicy. My husband enjoyed the half rack ribs with fries. Then we got the desert trio, apple pie, chocolate brownie with ice cream and cheesecake which were all delicious. The staff was very kind and the food came out quickly.

Cantonese restaurant
Manchinro is a well-established restaurant in Yokohama's Chinatown, offering classic Cantonese cuisine in an elegant traditional Chinese setting. Having been a popular dining spot for over a century, it stands out as one of the most luxurious restaurants in the area. Following a fire that destroyed the original 19th-century establishment, Manchinro was rebuilt to resemble an imperial palace adorned with exquisite traditional Chinese decorations.
Everyone’s favorite Slightly costly but it will meet up to my expectations, yours unknown… RSVP must 2 month ahead Book through their official HP for pre informed booking not confirmed booking.. Let my photo answer to your question for ¥5,500 giraffe? Kirin course for lunch This lunch was held approx 3 yrs ago… Light & fine taste Kenton style? Relatively noisy but busy stores are usually like that isn’t it? I would say you are lucky if you got a seat … One of my favorite Kentonese style Chinese restaurant in Yokohama China town.
Utah F — Google review
The atmosphere is hard to rate because while it’s beautiful it betrays the rest of Chinatown being “Chinese” because most of the servers are Japanese however I do understand it’s hard to staff such a large place with only Chinese people. Food was super good I tried multiple dishes, and all were pretty authentic Chinese food. The rooms were beautiful and there were many intricate designs.
Madd I — Google review
There are so many delicious restaurants in China town but this may be my favorite! Everything we ordered came out so incredibly fresh and well cooked. The atmosphere was sophisticated and romantics . The staff is very attentive giving you fresh tea even before your pot was empty. I wish they had a few more dumpling options but everything was amazing.
Shauna N — Google review
Came here due to other reviews, but was extremely disappointed. The food is too sweet by my standards. Perhaps they’re making it for the Japanese palate, but as an ethnic Chinese American, my taste buds were overwhelmed by the amount of sugar they seem to be using. Had the lunch special at 2,800 —the pork and cabbage stir fry and the fried tofu were covered in very sweet soy sauces. The only thing I enjoyed was the ginger chicken. Also ordered the radish cakes and cabbage dim sum. Not the best. Ambiance was beautiful though.
Shane L — Google review
This restaurant was recommended by a friend. Yes, it is rather ornate. But, there was actually too much service. Maybe that is why the prices are rather high. The food lacked a lot. Our soup was rather plain, just noodles, bean sprouts and a bit of pork. The Sweat and Sour pork was not very tasty and the pork pieces were about 1/3 FAT. Later in the day we each had upset stomachs and intestines. This was the first and the last time to go there.
YukoStu — Google review
Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere here. Only waited 5 minutes for a seat on Sunday afternoon. Waiters were friendly and attentive. As others have mentioned, the only downside was the price. Didn’t quite feel like it was worth the money, but I would go back and tell others for try it.
Justin S — Google review
Visited here for Chinese New Year eve dinner. Excellent interior. Service is top notch and the food was really good too. Probably one of the better restaurants in Chinatown. They have a good range of good quality tea as well. Highly recommended.
Jack H — Google review
We visited the two highest rated Cantonese restaurants in Chinatown today. One for lunch and this one for dinner. While our dinner experience was not nearly as good as lunch, this restaurant stands on its own as a good dining option. The restaurant’s first floor dining room is ornate and we were able to enjoy live music while we ate. Service was good, but not friendly. Prices were high, but portions were large. We left happy we tried it, but deciding that we probably wouldn’t be back.

The restaurant's ambiance exudes sophistication, perfect for upscale dining experiences. Additionally, patrons can relish panoramic views while enjoying their gastronomic journey.
Had a lovely multi-course lunch at Ristorante Umiria in Minato Mirai, Yokohama with my mom and cousins. The dishware and plating for each dish were absolutely beautiful and so elegant. Everything felt carefully crafted, making it a truly special dining experience.

We had lunch with an elderly mentor and they set up a quiet table for us. The service was courteous and attentive without going overboard. The food, as well as the plates and presentation, were well thought out. It is a restaurant where you can relax and enjoy your meal. I could see why this restaurant is so highly rated. I would like to visit again.

(Translated by Google) I went to "Ristorante UMIRIA". ``Umilia'' is located at the end of the restaurant area on the second floor of Grand Central Terrace in the Minato Mirai district. The interior is chic, with white as the main color, and even the chairs are all white. When I made my reservation, I ordered "MENU del Futtro" which had one main dish. The seasonal soup is turnip soup, which is light but has a gentle taste that will make you feel warm. The appetizer was something similar to carpaccio of sweet potatoes, pickled tomatoes, and white fish tossed with mandarin oranges.I didn't know that mandarin oranges go well with white fish. For the pasta, I chose ``Aglio Olio Spaghettini with firefly squid and rape blossoms,'' and apparently they use dried squid as a secret ingredient. The main dish was ``Lamb Arroaste'' and the sauce was so delicious that I finished it all. Dolce is a ``rose sweet'' that is a specialty here, and it is a sweet with a sour berry sauce that is inspired by the rose flower of Yokohama city. It was delicious with Juicy Peach tea. The man in the hall here is frank but polite, and explains the dishes thoroughly. We finished our lunch elegantly in a pure white room.

I'm glad they offer two pasta dishes. It would be better if the portions were a little larger. It's a shame the beef steak was a little tough. Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, also known as Aka Renga in Japanese, is a historic brick warehouse that has been transformed into a vibrant shopping and cultural center. Located in the Minato Mirai 21 district of Yokohama, it is surrounded by popular attractions such as the Yokohama Museum of Art, Cosmo World, and the Cup Noodle Museum.
Such a nice place! The walk to get there is very soothing and the building is beautiful. The shops inside sell mostly leather goods, jewellery and home decor but everything has a quality feel to it and many things seem to be made locally. The gourmet section is also great. Highly recommended! And the balcony is a super nice place to just sit and relax a bit…
André M — Google review
It was not free to get into the outside food market but do not let that stop you from exploring inside the historic brick warehouse. A few restaurants, the one we decided on was Chano ma and we had no complaints. The service, environment and food was very comfy as they have beds on the wall. Please also stop by the honey stand, The Wharf restaurant and the pie area as well. Just a few more miles away was a fair going on. Do much going on to do in this area.
Isis C — Google review
Waterfront historic warehouses turned into shopping and eating mall. Yes, it's a total tourist trap but a must-see when in Yokohama. An easy and pleasant walk from the nearest train station, Sakuragicho, with the promenade, cup noodle museum, and other attractions along the way or easy side trips. We love visiting Yokohama and it's an easy 30 minute train ride from Tokyo Station to Sakuragicho. I suggest coming here later in the afternoon, walk and shop, eat at one of the numerous good restaurants in the surroundin area, enjoy the night lights, and return to Tokyo (if you're not planning to stay overnight). I really suggest staying overnight then you can do the whole waterfront area all the way to their excellent Chinatown.
Yobo S — Google review
The Red Brick warehouse in Yokohama is one of the most famous tourist attractions. We spent almost three hours here because of the weather. We were there on a rainy day. The indoor shopping has become our favorite spot. The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse is essentially a shopping mall featuring numerous restaurants and stores. It is huge. I don't think I had checked out more than half of the shopping center after three hours of walking around. We made some purchases and had drinks and snacks. The shopping experience is good, except it was very crowded all the time.
Michael W — Google review
Let me level with you: the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse looks like it was designed by a graphic designer with a thing for industrial chic and disposable income. On paper, it’s perfect—historic brick architecture, wide open waterfront, and enough boutique shops to bankrupt a small nation. In reality? It’s basically a shopping mall that got tenure. The shops? Overpriced. Like, “We know you’re from a cruise ship and you won’t check the exchange rate” overpriced. Leather handbags, handmade glass, and 800-yen fridge magnets line up with military precision, screaming, “You forgot to bring home a souvenir, didn’t you, Greg?” Now, to be fair, the exterior plaza is gorgeous. Wide open space, clean, breezy, and I can totally see this place transforming during festivals or night markets. You give this place a food truck rally or a jazz fest and it jumps up a full star, maybe two. But when it’s just regular shopping hours? It feels like walking through an Etsy algorithm that learned to charge rent. Would I come back? Yeah. But not for the shopping. I’d come back to watch people, sip a beer, and wait for the kind of overpriced artisan taco that says, “You’re not in Tokyo anymore—you’re in Yokohama, baby.”
Jim R — Google review
I couldn't see much of the exterior because I came at the wrong time—it was nighttime and pouring rain, so this is the only photo I managed to take... But the inside is actually pretty decent for chilling! There are tons of restaurants, and you can grab souvenirs here too. In my opinion, it's way better to buy them here than anywhere else—why? Because they're more *authentic*? Lol, that's the gist of it!
S ( — Google review
The versatility of Yokohama Red brick never ceases to amaze me. They host a ton of seasonal events throughout the year and it is located near world porters mall and Cosmo world, this place is on the top of the list and will definitely return for another visit.
Mckinley M — Google review
Interesting place especially if you have never visited. Lots of shops and eateries. However, it does seem to target tourists so it feels less authentic.

The Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum is a unique destination that offers a nostalgic experience of old Japan and the world of ramen. It features a traditional street food court with shops offering samples of ramen dishes from different regions, allowing visitors to taste and learn about the history of this beloved dish. The museum also has a theatre where performances about the history of ramen noodles are showcased.
This is a must visit when you're in Yokohama. Ramen is a Japan special and the history and tradition are displayed here. Bonus is that there is a ramen food court at the basement floors recreating the magic and decor of ancient times. We chose to go to Rairaiken, the historic first ramen restaurant of Tokyo opening in 1920. It subsequently closed in 1976. Fortunately Rairaiken started again in 2020 at this museum carefully reproducing the old recipe and magic. This was our first introduction to Ramen in Japan. And we chose a small bowl with Char Siu. I must say we were sweeped off our feet. The soy broth was light and so flavorful, noodles are soft and the Char Siu firm and succulent. I was craving for another bowl! Now I know why Ramen is legendary in Japan. Not to mention the ultimate cleanliness and meticulous attention to everything!
Amit C — Google review
For an experience this is a good place, but not exactly a museum. Entrance fee for an adult is 450yen. Inside, if you pay another 5000 with a reservation you can make ramen noodle on your own.( making the dough i guess) the 1F has a few walls with history of ramen and evolution of ramen in Japan. Also there’s a souvenir shop. In B1 and B2 there are retro type ramen shop which gives the vibe of old japan ramen alleys. Here you may choose a ramen shop to dine and you have to line up between 30~1hour depending on the popularity of the shop. And agin after paying you can enjoy your ramen. So the entrance fee is kind of exaggerated because it is not exactly a “museum”. As an overall it was a nice experience and ramen was good.
Upeka W — Google review
The history of ramen in Japan was interesting but the highlight was the ramen food mall in the basement. With the help of a young Japanese woman we queued up for about half an hour to order at our chosen restaurant. The wait was definitely worth it. One of the best konkatsu ramens I’ve ever eaten. Midweek would probably have been five stars.
David P — Google review
Really fun visit with multiple ramen restaurants inside. They are rotating restaurants so they will always be eventually different. Can also get half sized ramen as well. Had a rich history section and a nice souvenir shop. Line up for ramen varies with what time you go.
Notreally M — Google review
Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum is a unique and immersive attraction combining a museum and a food court dedicated entirely to ramen. The venue recreates a nostalgic 1950s Tokyo neighborhood, complete with vintage storefronts, signage, and atmospheric details that transport visitors back in time. This themed environment adds a distinctive charm and depth beyond a typical food court experience. Inside, several renowned ramen shops representing different regions of Japan serve a variety of authentic ramen styles. Visitors can sample several small bowls from different vendors, making it an ideal place to explore the country’s rich ramen diversity in one spot. The ramen quality is generally good, with rich broths and varied noodles, although some critics note it may not beat specialized hole-in-the-wall shops found throughout Tokyo or Yokohama .The museum portion offers informative displays about ramen’s history and cultural significance, but it is relatively small and more appealing to ramen enthusiasts. The experience is highly popular and can get crowded, especially during weekends, so early arrival is recommended to avoid long waits.Overall, the Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum offers a fun, atmospheric experience to learn about and taste ramen varieties in an engaging setting, making it a must-visit for ramen fans and visitors looking for a flavorful cultural insight.
Hitesh- A — Google review
This is a definite must see in Yokohama. It packs a lot of interesting history in a small space. There’s a small-ish museum and two floors of a recreated 1950s neighbourhood full of authentic ramen shops. The ramen is definitely delicious and reasonably priced - for an attraction. You can also get a mini portion so you can sample from more than one shop. It’s only ¥450 to enter but you’re expected to buy at least one dish of ramen. Still worth it. It could use a bit of a clean in certain areas and the smoking room definitely needs to be removed - it’s completely unnecessary and stinks up a section of the museum. Weekends are super busy. We went on a holiday long weekend and it was rammed. There was no line to get in to the museum but we had to wait about 45 min to be seated for food. Worth it though.
Voula K — Google review
Lovely Museum with very tasty ramen and a lot of Info on the history of ramen. A little unfortunate that you can't just order one ramen for the whole group and sit down in the restaurants. Restaurant
bills Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse is a renowned all-day dining spot that gained fame for its delectable pancakes, particularly the Berry Berry Hotcakes. Originating from Australia, this establishment has expanded globally and continues to attract tourists in Japan. The limited edition hotcakes at the Yokohama location are made with whole wheat flour and adorned with strawberries, berry butter, and Yame Matcha from Fukuoka. A must-visit for pancake enthusiasts and those with a sweet tooth!
Amazing staff and service, very kind and friendly, we got the ricotta pancakes and Aussie big breaky! Matcha tea and a cap. 10/10. So good. Here ten days and will Defs come back! We’re Aussie so we appreciated this heaps. Toilets on site added bonus. We got here not far after 9am when they opened on a Tuesday and it wasn’t busy. It was about $35aud pp and worth it.

This Bills is in such a great location, and it’s even better if you can get a table outside. I’ve come here a couple of times and the service has been EXCEPTIONALLY good, super friendly and surprisingly attentive, almost like they can read your needs before you even ask. Foodwise, the portions are satisfying and the taste has been consistently great. My favorite so far has been the burger; a little smaller than I’d prefer, but the flavor was absolutely amazing. I also like that the plates aren’t overly large, and this leaves room for dessert. The ricotta pancakes were soooo good! with the honeycomb butter really took them to the next level. While yes, it can be a bit on the pricey side(drinks, main plate and dessert for 2 people around ¥10,000), but considering the location, service, and quality, I personally think it’s worth it. They have vegetarian and vegan options as well which is a good point to consider! Bills has definitely become one of my personal favorites and will always be an option if I'm around.
Fátima P — Google review
The chicken schnitzel is good and the ricotta hot cakes did not disappoint; fluffiest we’ve ever had. The full Aussie breakie is nicely presented with the taste to match. Must try if you are around the Red Brick warehouse as there are hardly any queue.

It’s such a great spot for brunch! I absolutely loved the berry granola and oat milk matcha. The staff were wonderful, and their service was excellent.

TBH I have very high expectations after I read some posts from influencers. But sadly, I don’t think I will ever come and try again. I ordered a coffee and a honey pancake. The coffee is fine. But the pancake is super dry and salty. I put all the syrup on but still tasted salty. It is very dense too. And seems like it has been overcooked.
Sylvia L — Google review
Decent restaurant, friendly staff. Menus available in English and Japanese. Located in the Red Brick area of Yokohama it’s a nice place for a quiet lunch. With seating both I does and out the atmosphere was nice. While the food was decent, it’s definitely more fancy than common fair and not somewhere I would bring kids, unless they like trying new things. $$$ price point. Marked it off the “to try” list but probably won’t go again.

The pancake with pistachios and berries was artistically arranged to create an enticing and delightful visual display. The iced coffee, pancake, and cappuccino were all excellent and reasonably priced.It closes later than other restaurants, which close considerably earlier.

We went around 9:30, got seated right away. We ordered toast with poached eggs and scrambled eggs. And roasted tomatoes on the side. Pretty straightforward, no sides no garnish almost. My scrambled eggs were nice. Frankly, poached eggs by themselves are too small of a portion to be served by themselves. These two mains, a side, and a coffee was over 4000 yens. Not sure if it’s worth it. I originally wanted the hot cake with bananas bur was told it would take 20 mins so I decided otherwise. They only have regular milk and almond milk. It was somewhat difficult to communicate. Nice location.

Cafe Tosca is a restaurant located in the Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu, offering an elegant dining experience with beautiful bay views. The restaurant features a buffet with Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine, including cooking stations. One of its highlights is the vegetable-abundant Lunch Buffet, carefully curated by the chef who personally selects high-quality vegetables from various regions in Japan. This makes it an ideal choice for those seeking a healthy and top-notch dining experience.

Spent the week at the Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu, and the Cafe Tosca was the provided breakfast. I may be biased, but the food was really good! After a day or two, I really seemed into what I liked and stuck with it for the week. The options of raw fruit and veggies is poor, but the provided tuna and egg dishes were exceptional! Big fan of the salad bar, omelette station and dumplings. The coffee machine makes pretty good cappuccino and espressos! I enjoy the dishes.

Affordable price with acceptable quality. Average ¥5000 per pax. Free parking is provided. Roasted beef and Carbonara are signature dishes. Depending on seasons, there is different event to promote new flavors. Reservation is recommended.
Martin Z — Google review
Really enjoyed the lunch buffet with excellent service, and also so convenient location when attending any event in nearby event halls. They have wide selection of various dishes then also various main dishes. I especially enjoyed the roast beef, and omurice, as well as pizza and asparagus. Desserts, coffee, other drinks too. Hope to go back!
Harold A — Google review
I went on 11/17 and was honestly disappointed. I was looking forward to roasted beef, but they were hard and the sauce was not good at all. The pasta was overcooked and I stopped eating after just one bite. The bread was too hard and the tempura was greasy and not much different from the tempura we make at home. The only thing I enjoyed was the curry with no ingredients, salad, and strawberry mousse cake. The coffee was bad, I don't know if it was the machine or the beans, but it tasted bad. Anyway, there was not much on the menu, almost nothing tasty, and the satisfaction level was infinitely low for the cost. I was looking forward to it because it had a good reputation, but I don't think I will come back a second time. I hope for improvement.

We visited Yokohama several months ago and occasionally found this cozy buffet. Fresh seasonal food, simple but delicate. Mainly Japanese, Italian or Mediterranean cuisine. Fried Kamaboko in action corner of kitchen stadium and minestrone were especially impressively satisfying.

Cantonese restaurant
Chinese restaurant
Shatenki is a low-key venue that specializes in Cantonese dumplings, meat dishes, and traditional congee porridge. It is highly recommended for its expertise in rice porridge. Shumien, a Taiwanese restaurant known for its Lu Rou Fan (minced pork rice), and the oldest establishment Manchinro Honten, famous for its dumplings, are also worth visiting.
Shatenki is a must-visit spot in Yokohama Chinatown, especially if you’re a fan of authentic Chinese comfort food. While they’re known for their crispy spring rolls and juicy dumplings, their congee (Chinese rice porridge) is the real hidden gem! The congee is silky, flavorful, and packed with toppings like tender chicken, seafood, or century egg. It’s the perfect dish for a light but satisfying meal, especially on a chilly day or when you just want something warm and soothing. Plus, it’s super affordable, making it a great option for a budget-friendly but delicious meal. The restaurant has a classic, no-frills Chinatown vibe, with friendly service and a lively atmosphere. Whether you’re here for a quick bite or a full meal, Shatenki delivers on taste and value. Check out the photos and see for yourself!

The staff could speak mandarin which was helpful for ordering. The menu was not extensive, but that was the reason why I chose it out of the hundreds of restaurants in Chinatown. They specialize in rice congee and a few dishes and I was fortunate not to have to queue at 2pm. Opted for the crab in ginger sauce (the ginger was a bit strong and most of all the dish was salty) which arrived prepared for easy consumption. The 3-treasure congee was a little too thin for my liking, but it was tasty.
Serene D — Google review
This is my absolute favorite porridge (Okayu) place in Yokohama Chinatown! I always come here when I'm in the area. I always order the Offal Porridge (Motsu-Gayu), and this time I also tried the Shrimp Shumai and the Black Vinegar Sweet and Sour Pork. The Black Vinegar Sweet and Sour Pork was a first for me, but it was incredibly delicious - the black vinegar had a rich umami flavor! Their customer service is wonderful as well. Just a note: they only take reservations for banquets, so you'll have to wait in line for regular dining. Thank you as always! I will definitely be back.

Ocean Terrace is a stylish buffet restaurant located on the first floor of Yokohama Intercontinental, offering a blend of Japanese and Western cuisine. The breakfast buffet includes Chinese dishes, Japanese miso soup, cooked fish, fruits, and an egg/omelet station. While the price may be steep for non-hotel guests, the attentive service and quality of food make it satisfying.
One of the best french toast I have ever had. Good taste, not too sweet, soft and fluffy. Must eat!

The food is delicious, better to go a bit early or late. Although the ocean/bay view is awesome, on sunny days the curtains are closed during breakfast.
Arifa A — Google review
I recently visited this buffet for lunch and, unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. The food was mediocre at best and certainly not worth the high price. You also had to pay for drinks (except for tea, coffee, and water). Most of the dishes were cold and lacked flavor. Despite the “Meat Fest” theme, the selection was minimal, and what was available was not tasty. The poke with avocado was disappointing. I’ve had much better experiences at other hotel buffets. If you’re in Yokohama, I recommend exploring local restaurants instead—they’re likely more affordable and offer a far better dining.

I went to celebrate a special event at noon. The ambiance inside the 5-star hotel is beautiful and refined, and you can see the level of attention to details. I found the service excellent, the staff was very friendly. I really enjoyed the food, there were many dishes to try, and although some weren't to my liking, most were very good in my opinion. The desserts were also delicious. I will definitely return in the future.
Matias S — Google review
The breakfast buffet was 4,200 yen for adults, which is not too bad after using 2,000 yen f&b credit being intercontinental ambassador and staying in the same hotel. The variety of food was okay, nothing numerous. The taste of food was good. I loved the Japanese food herem. It's too bad that I could not try everything because I was too full. The servers were nice. This was the first intercontinental hotel buffet in Japan that I've tried, so nothing compared at this time.

Every year when we visit Yokohama, we eat here at Ocean Terrace. Food quality was good and atmosphere was good as always, their service that night was very poor. Drink we ordered did not serve for half an hour, the plates we finished not taken as our table was pile up with plates and glasses. They need more improvement and hope to see you next year again with their exceptional service as they used to be.

I checked in the hotel rather late on my arrival , I didn't have much choices for my dinner . The food & drinks they served really didn't worth US$55 . A rather disappointed buffet dinner inside a 5 stars hotel. Also, the steps around the food area is not good for people holding a plate of food.
Helen L — Google review
I had the opportunity to try the lunch buffet. The restaurant is situated inside the Intercontinental Hotel and has a nice open view of the ocean. The buffet featured a number of dishes from all over the world, and all the offerings were quite delicious. The portions are quite small, which means you can have a good sample of all the dishes without getting too full.

French restaurant
Nestled within the Yokohama Bay Hotel, Queen Alice Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu offers elegant and airy rooms and suites, some of which boast stunning ocean views. The hotel is home to five restaurants and a luxurious spa for guests to indulge in. One of its highlights is the Queen Alice restaurant, a branch of the renowned French dining chain created by Chef Yutaka Ishinabe.
As an American, I really loved this Alice in Wonderland themed French restaurant. I went with a group of friends for lunch and had no problem calling and making the reservation in English. The decor seems very girly, but it was very beautiful and there were men in the restaurant, so your husband or male friends should not be afraid to try this place! They offer two seating times for lunch and although we thought the menu would be "fixed" I felt there were quite a few options to choose from and some amazing upgraded options if you want to spend a little more. The basic menu is two courses (an appetizer and 1 entree (seafood or meat) or for 1000¥ more, you could do 3 courses (appetizer and 1 seafood, 1 meat). Dessert was included in both options. There was a foie gras upgrade I did (extra course) and I also upgraded my seafood course to lobster. Both were amazing! The waiter spoke English, and there was also English menus. We had a wonderful time and spent two hours enjoying our lunch. We were the last table there and they had already started seating the next group for lunch when we left. We did not feel rushed at all and felt the tables were set up with a lot of privacy. I think the only thing I would change would have been to order the lamb over the beef. My friend let me try her lamb and I felt it had a lot more flavor than the beef. The lobster was my favorite course and was totally worth the upgrade. All the dishes were beautiful, especially the desserts.
Courtney C — Google review
A magical experience, even better than 28 years ago. Iwasaさんwas attentive and sweet. We didn’t care for the caviar sandwich, but everything else was wonderful: fresh, complex, flavorful, beautiful. The dishes delighted our senses. If we count the warm ごぼうbread and the crunchy baguette it would be five out of five.
Al L — Google review
The worst service ever. Where do I start? Once I have arrived to the restaurant the waiter approached me and said dinner only served at 5:30 PM or 8:30 PM, keep in your mind I arrived at 6:30 PM. The audacity of it that the waiter suggested I should go and eat at the Chinese restaurant. Really??? If I wanted to eat Chinese food why would I approach your restaurant?? Doesn’t make sense right? Keep in your mind that I am a guest in this hotel and staying for 5 days, wouldn’t a guest be a priority ? So far I have spent more than $2,000 in terms of accommodation and daily breakfast, also this is my last night which I decided to treat myself to a nice dinner. I work in highly competitive sales environment and I would never ever tell a customer who’s willing to spend a good amount of money to go and try one of our competitors because we can’t accommodate for you. If there was a negative star I would definitely give that negative star. But unfortunately Google doesn’t allow that.

Bakery
Uchiki Pan, located in the historic Motomachi Shopping Street, has been serving English-style bread for over a century. Established in 1888 by Hikotaro Katsuki during the Meiji era, it is one of Japan's oldest bakeries. The shop offers a wide variety of bread at reasonable prices and is renowned for its fluffy white sandwich loaf known as 'England bread.' A must-try is their delicious cinnamon bread.
This is an A grade and historical bakery. It has been selling the same high level bread and pastry for decades! They are now selling out of commitment to community and love of meticulous work. Before it closes or change hands, I suggest you make a trip and appreciate its awesomeness. The four stars reviewers have no idea how amazing this place is! I have been going for 12 years. Never fail to stop by if I am in the area. I shouldn’t even write this review because most of y’all are unworthy of this elite bakery. Y’all have no idea how to appreciate attention to details the masters here have. If you are those touch and go tourists, pls think of this as a one star review. Franchise Boulangerie is just around the corner - go there. The cashier could have been more impatient, like the greats in Singapore, but respectful and appreciate despite their greatness. The building opposite the bakery was once a GAP store : just to show I know what I am talking about.

Clean and high-quality products. The store is never too crowded. For me, they do sweet better than savory. My recommendation is to go for the sweet (rather than savory) items. Also, they run out of things very quickly. Don’t bother coming here after 2:30pm unless all you want is plain white bread. I’m not a pastry person, but I come to Uchiki Pan every other week. It’s my go-to neighborhood pastry shop.

At first, I was apprehensive about this bakery, as ‘shinise’ shops can be a bit of a hit and miss sometimes. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I bought melon pan, meat pie and minced meat curry bun (‘keema curry’). All were nice but I would definitely come back for the minced meat curry bun. However, the most popular product seems to be the English loaf. Try to visit before 4PM on the weekends, as mostly everything tends to be sold out by then.

Bubbys is a retro-style eatery known for its robust American-style breakfasts, burgers, and steaks. The restaurant's menu is filled with Americana dishes, including savory options like the griddle special and sweet treats like sautéed banana and pecan pancakes. Bubbys also offers a variety of pies served with filter coffee and ice cream. With its flagship location in New York, the restaurant prides itself on serving traditional American family cuisine made from generational recipes.
Great restaurant that focuses on pancakes and hamburgers. Took this opportunity to try their signature Liz Clarke Double Bubby's gourmet burger, which includes two patties, country ham, smoked cheddar cheese, onions, pickles and Bubby's special sauce. Definitely a pricey burger, but deserves the title gourmet burger. If you are looking for quality, this place delivers! Crowd Size: Very High Payment Method: PASMO

The chicken with fries was quite delicious, same as the pancake. Didn’t take the pictures but the burger we had were just so so. I think it’s overall an average restaurant that you won’t be disappointed by the food if you can’t find anything else you want to eat in that area. But we def had better burgers else where.
S M — Google review
There were a few unfortunate things in this place during our experience. First off, they have people sign in when there’s a line, but they don’t properly call out when it’s your turn despite not having much space in front of the restaurant to wait at. If they skip you, you’ll be forced to sign up again at the bottom of the list. Food was not as good as expected at all. Fries were a bit too salty for me. But both burgers- the signature Bubby’s and the Pulled Pork were too dry. I know it’s supposed to be American burgers but I don’t remembers burgers in America being that dry. Service was fast though, so that’s a plus! Over all, I didn’t feel like it was worth the trouble and the high prices. I wish I had ordered some desserts to try, as they looked like they had some good options.

Had the eggs Benedict. Originally I entered the place because the pies on the front looked good and I thought I might as well eat lunch here. The food came quickly but unfortunately it just wasn’t good. The sauce was weirdly sour, the rest was pretty tasteless, even the home fries, that are just pre fried, frozen and heated sliced potatoes. They are not even a little bit crunchy. Coke Zero was weird too. Didn’t stay for the pie The staff was really nice though.

Really mid flavor for me. The apple pie was soggy as anything, and the burger had very little seasoning. The fries, service and atmosphere were great though!

Ordered medium rare burger. It came with medium cooked. The fried chicken pancakes required around 20 minutes of waiting time. When it was served to the table, the pancakes were surprisingly only lukewarm. The texture was too stiff, dense and chewy. Not enjoyable to eat at all. The fried chicken pieces were tasty. Strong pepper flavour. Unfortunately, they were too dry and hard.

Sukiyaki restaurant
Authentic Japanese restaurant
Sukiyaki and Shabu Shabu restaurant
Araiya is a renowned beef hotpot restaurant with a branch near Bashamichi Station in Yokohama. The establishment takes pride in using whole domestic Kuroge Wagyu cattle to provide high-quality yet affordable meat for their dishes. Their specialty, the Famous Beef Pot (AORI), is a must-try.
Nestled in the heart of Yokohama, with 3 outlets in Yokohama, Arayia has been serving exquisite gyunabe since the late 19th century. This restaurant stands out as one of the earliest restaurants of this Yokohama-style beef dish, which delicately cooks the meat in a sweet soy sauce rather than searing it, alike to sukiyaki. Our nine-course meal was a journey through culinary artistry. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, showcasing the meticulous attention to detail. The main dish was particularly memorable, the beef is melting in the mouth, leaving a lasting impression that calls for a return visit. The service struck the perfect balance—attentive without being overwhelming, allowing us to savor each course at our own pace. Overall, Arayia is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic Japanese dining experience. Its rich history and dedication to perfection make it a true culinary treasure.

The lunch specials were good value for the quality of food. The Sukiyaki was preferrable than the Gyunabe, with stronger flavour and better meat taste. Service was really good, with the servers wearing kimonos.

Nice sukiyaki restaurant, well known with good quality meat and attentive service. We ordered the lunch set for around ¥3200 which seemed to be the most popular and were served very quickly. Did not appear to have an English menu. This location also seemed very popular, a reservation seems to be pretty necessary if you want a standard table with chairs. Showing up 15 minutes after they opened at 11:15am for lunch with a party of three barely got us in without a wait and it was one of the traditional floor seating tables.

Chef's V is an elegant Italian restaurant in Yokohama that offers set meals with amazing views of the harbor and skyline. The lunch menu features healthy and light options with plenty of vegetables, making it a great choice for a special treat or to impress guests. While the lunch menu may be somewhat limited, the food is excellent, and if you're lucky, you can snag a window seat for a stunning view of Nippon Maru and its sails.
Perfect place for a romantic dinner with view over Yokohama bay. The stuff is friendly and many dishes can be veganized!

I thought the lunch menu was a little limited but the food was excellent. If there's just 2 of you, there's a good chance you'll get a seat at the window. This gives an excellent view of the Nippon Maru, and if you're lucky you might see the furling / unfurling of its sails. Coffee was really good.

Amazing view, healthy and light lunch with lots of vegetables. The harbor view really let you enjoy Yokohama and its unique flair. Pie shop
Pie Holic is a modern cafe and restaurant that offers a variety of sweet and savory pies, omelets, and roasts. Situated in a contemporary space with a spacious terrace overlooking the bay, it prides itself on being an American soul food restaurant. The menu features delectable milkshakes in flavors like strawberry and banana-nutella, as well as individual-sized sweet pies.
The beef pie was the highlight of the evening — a golden, flaky pastry that gave way to a rich, savory filling. The minced beef was well-seasoned with a touch of sweetness, creating a comforting and hearty bite. The crust held its structure beautifully without being too dry or greasy. This Caesar salad came generously topped with thick-cut bacon that added a smoky depth to the creamy dressing. Fresh romaine lettuce, croutons, and a generous shower of grated cheese made this a satisfying and well-rounded starter. The grilled fish was delicately cooked, with crispy skin and tender flesh. The vibrant green pesto sauce brought a refreshing herbal note, while the side of roasted vegetables added a touch of sweetness and depth. The restaurant had a relaxed, modern coastal vibe, perfect for enjoying comfort food with a view of the water😍

Theres a min order of 1 pie per pax. We ordered Dutch apple pie and apple pie. Honestly was very disappointed with the quality esp the apple pie; tastes like some random convenience store-bought pie. It is cold and mushy with very thick ends that taste like egg cakes. Dutch apple pie fared a lil better with the crumbs n crust but still a tad too sweet for me. All in all totally not worth the money n calories. Will not be back again.
Jean Z — Google review
One of the best meat pie place in Kanto. We ordered beef meat pie and the mushroom style pie. The size is pretty small for the price (1,200 yen for a little meat pie) and it took 30 minutes to get the pie. The beef meat pie taste divine but the mushroom one wasn't impressive which they could improve. Service was nice but it took us 15 minutes to get seated even though there were 5 available tables. They also have online shop in case you prefer to skip the waiting time.

This is a typical Japanese restaurant that is way too behind the game. When I entered a restaurant, the first thing the restaurant staff must ask is whether or not the customers have food allergies. Here, it was silly to ask, and they did not seem to care. They also served pies that customers said they could not or would not eat. If they leave the pie, it will lead to food loss, but where are the SDGs measures? Their priority was obviously and clearly on sales. I went to the restaurant with high expectations because there are only a few pie stores in my area in Japan, but I will never go there again. Good apple pies will be offered in the different stores. That is why and how Japanese people get cheated. FYI, for all the talk of American and/or California, there was no banana cream pie, which was disappointing as well.

Update: Came back after 3 years or so the resto became more pcked and busy so you can't just walk in. I recommend you to get a reservation before walking in. They have great system of unlimited pie still but limited option for the main menu. But if you are hungry for pie they have a good balance between healthy and heavy pies, sweet pie tho' you need to pay more :) I love their drinks! Review from 3 years ago: Yeah it was cozy, I wish there will be some staff who can speak English :) the food is fine.. people there seem nice and friendly. But they are all timid lol.
Natsuminsane C — Google review
Average, not worth coming back. Appetizer and main dish are pretty poor quality, fortunately pies are better but I loved just a couple of them out of five. I also expected a lot more by the apple pie, to be a pie shop. There are a lot of places in Tokyo with amazing apple pies. Service also quite below average. Waiters don't look around at all and it's hard to get their attention.
Mauro B — Google review
Date visited: July 9, 2023 I like the atmosphere of the place. They have a wide selection of pies and drinks. If you are lucky to get a table outside you'll get a nice waterfront view. The staff are friendly and attentive.
Joy I — Google review
Interesting variants of the “regular” pies that one is used to. The place is large, but seems to be very popular, and it’s a good idea to reserve a table in advance if you are traveling all the way from Tokyo. Nice views next to the bay. They have outside seating, if the indoor area feels too cramped. Staff are friendly, but service can be a bit slow, especially if you are sitting outside. Understandable, given the size of the place. Prices are above average in my view. They have options for take out.

Okay-ish food & selection of wine. We went for the omakase course, and if it weren't for the beautiful piece of beef that came at the end, I'd have left 2 stars instead of 3. The menu raises expectations with fancy words, but delivers far too little - the soup was good! I wish I had a bit more bread. The fish was beautifully cooked and the beef was brilliant although both plates came very late. On the other hand, the rest of the menu was really lacking in taste. The crab toast as a starter didn't taste much of crab, the terrine really wasn't necessary because it was too bland, and both pasta plates were a tad dry. The dessert was a chocolate terrine but I was a little letdown in how simple it was, and still didn't deliver. Essentially, you pay for the view more than anything - but what a view. If you book early enough, you get a nice window table with two seats, facing the beautiful Bay Quarter shopping mall. Service was... confusing and painfully slow. We were welcome properly, but that was the height of the service. They realised really late they didn't serve us water - although we didn't have to ask, it wasn't up to the standard. One of our waiters was confused with the cutlery order - I genuinely don't really care about that, although it shows lack of training and/or attention. What really bothered me was the way they served food on our table: plates would be placed on my left, in the middle, on the right, and sometimes worse, right between us (?), which is what happened with the coffee... served from our back because of the way the seats are (both diners are facing the window). This is an absolute no-no in service - again, even moreso at this price range. Please consider safety before efficiency - we can't see you coming from the back, and if I moved at that time, I could have knocked the hot drink out of your hands, and forget about the stains and embarrassment - that could have burned you, the waiter, and us, the diners. It was worth the price for the view, but the food except for the steak was forgettable, and service... not forgettable, but for the wrong reasons. I will probably not be back again anytime soon.

Lots of dishes made with cheese which is great, however more could be made of it. I ordered the cheese and ham plate which seemed to be just a few pieces of regular cheese with a few slices of nama ham and a few olives chucked on top. The cheese risotto cooked in the Parmesan wheel was nice. The drinks menu is quite limited I thought. If you want to order the set menu note that all at your table will need to order it.

Great food and friendly service! Lots of options to choose from in the course menu, and had generous portions and a good way to try a variety of dishes. The peach appetizer was my favorite, and the steak was cooked perfectly.

If you are a fan of cheese, you will love this cozy little spot in bustling Yokohama, go with the #1 items 5 cheese foundue and 5 cheese pasta finish in a barrel of cheese. Set meals are great value for money. The main steak I ordered is very scullculent with great char on the outside.

Large selection of imported cheese and wine. Five course set meal with choice of salad, cheese fondue with piping hot freshly baked bread, outstanding pizza and pasta, finished up with Camembert cheesecake and caramel flan for 3,300 yen a person plus 600 table charge. Portion sizes were more than wife and I could handle to be honest, so come hungry. Drinks are priced very modestly for the area at 550 to 880 a pop, being only three minute walk from Yokohama station. Online menu in English. Caprice salad came with a chill blasted peach instead of a tomato, a delicious surprise!

Great food. Place was super busy but food came out very quick. Staff was friendly. All food was good and fresh tasting.

I ordered a classic strawberry shake, which tasted good, but I feel the strawberry flavor could have been a touch stronger. The place itself is cozy and conveniently located, making it easy to find. Edit: have tried the white and chocolate classic shakes also, and it was just as good as the strawberry one. Also had the french fries with cheese, the cheese sauce was generous, not just on top but layered in the middle too. However, the fries got soggy when served, and the cheese sauce could have been a bit cheesier.
Ghifaroza — Google review
Great food, but if you’re expecting the burgers to taste exactly the same as they do in the U.S., you won’t find that here. The fries taste exactly the same though. I’d definitely recommend trying this Shake Shack out!
Megan B — Google review
Is a meal at ShakeShack really worth three times as much as at McDonalds across the street? I used to think so but I am starting to doubt it. At my recent visit, the hamburger was dripping in fat (partly because the bread was fried), you could not taste the cheese, and even though I ordered a SmokeStack, there was no real smoke aroma. And the bun was soggy. The cheese fries were OK but only that. And the black sesame shake was great but did not work with the meal, plus it was so thick that I had to pull it out of the cup. No, it is not really worth three times the competitors price.
Wisterian W — Google review
I decided to try a black sesame milkshake. I admit, I was a bit worried but the experience was excellent. It was a lot like a peanut butter milkshake but with sesame as the nutty flavor instead of peanut. Different, not as sweet as it would be at home, but excellent. The service is excellent. There are order machines. The staff also has a picture menu and their English is excellent. The food looks good with generous portions for the burgers.

Decided to try this place out since it’s an American franchise and was surprised to find one in Japan. Great customer service. Went in the evening and it was busy but order came real quick (less than 5 minutes). The establishment is nice and they keep the tables and area clean. Good quality burgers. Patties are large and cooked well enough to be juicy in the inside and the buns has a soft texture to it. Tastes like a burger should, almost gourmet.

The worse restaurant experience for our Japanese trip over the week. Not the servers fault but we had heard the wait for short rib was 14 mins and it was actually 40mins. We wanted to have some Japanese Italian food in Yokohama to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and ended up reserving this place. We were so blown away with everything. We chose the 7-course menu. From starter to finish, we devoured the each plate clean. I am not much of a lamb meat person but the lamb dish here was surprisingly delicious and so tender and tasty with no smell at all!! Chef Keita-san, thank you so much for feeding us so well 🥹🙏🏻 and the complimentary little birthday dessert along with the sketched menu birthday card by the staff! 🤍 truly appreciate the kind and attentive service despite us barely speaking conversational Japanese. Chikuyoutei Yokohama Sogo, an eatery situated on the 10th floor of Sogo department store, showcases a traditional Japanese interior design. The staff members demonstrate exceptional organization and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Their specialty lies in eel-based dishes, which are known for their lighter and less salty flavor compared to other renowned eel restaurants in Japan. Those who prefer a more intense and robust seasoning may find it necessary to request additional sauce to enhance the taste.
Consistent food quality and service.

It is located at 10th floor of sogo department store. The interior design of this store looks like a traditional japanese style. Every employee seems to be very well organized and dedicated to customers. Main dish is on the basis of eel fish. I already experienced several restaurants which are very famous for eel dishes in Japan. To compare with other restaurants, this restaurant gives lighter and less salty taste to guests. To me, I prefer strong and deep seasoning taste when I eat a roasted type of eel. So I needed some extra sauce for making it deeper. Also felt that it is needed extra rices. In conclusion, the feature of this store is "lighter" "less salty" "good for health" "target for over 50". Just my personal opinion. Enjoy foods and trip in yokohama! 横浜 #ウナギ #横浜 #sogo #food

Kaiseki restaurant
Fugu restaurant
Japanese restaurant
When in Yokohama, kick off your adventure with a delightful meal at Minokichi Yokohama Landmark Plaza Branch. Originating from Kyoto in 1716, this renowned restaurant offers authentic and delectable Japanese cuisine. What's more, they can also provide a halal menu upon reservation. Situated in the prestigious Yokohama Landmark Tower, this establishment specializes in kaiseki, offering traditional high-end multi-course Japanese dining with a focus on Kyoto-style dishes.
Our first time having Kyoto style Kaiseki and it was excellent. They were kind and understanding enough to swap their braised pork from their appetiser in their course meals for fish and jt was still delicious. Flavours were extremely delicate and subtle, very pleased with all the dishes and as a whole experience the flavours worked out really well. We couldnt decide which dishes were our favourite. We also ordered Tempura! So good. Please visit if youre in Yokohama

Good quality authentic Japanese restaurant with a fantastic view in front of Tokyo bay conveniently located in Yokohama Landmark Plaza. This place may be a little pricy, but if you want to enjoy authentic Japanese course dish in Yokohama area, this place must be one of good candidates. Foods they serve was carefully cooked and seasoned, just as real Japanese food should be. And the y are all presented beautifully just what we expect for real Japanese food is supposed to be. I say it is not an everyday meal, but sometimes it is good to enjoy a feast, is it not?

High end traditional kaiseki food. Pricey compared to most dinning options, but worth a occasional splurge here.

It’s a bit strange that no one is posting videos of the Kabuki dance. I was hesitant to post as well since I wasn’t sure if there were any privacy rules about it even we weren't been told not to post. But the main reason we went to the restaurant was to see the Kabuki Maiko. After her dance, she came around to chat and play some games with us. The food itself was pretty ordinary and a bit overpriced.

Food, sake are both great. Very traditional. Even Japanese think their food quality is too!
Flying Q — Google review
The good: Great service and atmosphere. Their green tea is very good. The not so good: Food taste is average compared to other Japanese restaurants in the area. Especially since you would have to pay a very high price for it. For comparison, the sushi place below Oakwood Suites Yokohama that I stayed at serve better tasting food at 1/3 the price.

Bakery
Bluff Bakery is a cozy European-style bakery that offers a variety of delectable treats such as French bread, quiches, carrot cake, and scones. Visitors are drawn in by the inviting aroma and positive reviews. The Gruyere bun stands out with its croissant-like layers, while the custard doughnut impresses with its soft texture. The cinnamon bun is described as delicious with rich butter icing.
Drawn in by the smell and some good reviews. My choices didn’t disappoint. The Gruyère bun was almost like a croissant it had been folded so many times. The custard doughnut was super soft although the custard didn’t have much flavour. The cinnamon bun was delicious. Butter icing was very buttery and very tasty.

Delicious local bakery located on the bluff about Motomachi. They have both savory and sweet pastries as well as sandwiches . Highly recommend getting the cinnamon malasadas, muffins, chocolate croissants, and quiches. Take-out only, as there are no seats inside.

You'll need to take out what you buy because there are no seats. The pastries were light and delicious. Despite forgetting all the japanese i learned when I reached the counter, the staff was very friendly.

Bluff Bakery is a tiny but lively spot perched atop the hill near Motomachi-Chūkagai. Don’t let the size fool you—it’s packed with character. The blue door is unmistakable, and once you’re inside, the tables display an impressive spread of breads and sweet treats. I had the peanut butter sandwich —the sandwich was rich and nutty without being too sweet, and the bread was soft but held up well. Everything felt simple and honest, no frills but clearly well-made. It’s cash-only and take‑out only, but that adds to the charm. Would pop in again for a quick grab when I’m strolling around the Bluff area.

Very cute little bakery with lots of choices, sweet and salty. It would be amazing if they would label vegan options. Not sure if anything was vegan, the focaccia with olives might have been!

Croissant (250yen) is really buttery. But it folds when picked from the tray. Second thought to get the Hershey's croissant (320yen), the taste and texture is similar to croissant. The carrot cake is popular, but the taste was regular. The frosting was more cream than cream cheese and the cake was dry.

Tonkatsu restaurant
Maruwa is a popular spot known for its perfectly juicy tonkatsu and delicious miso soup. Despite the wait, the friendly staff ensures a pleasant experience by guiding patrons on the best sauce and meat combinations. The classic atmosphere adds to the enjoyment of the meal, although some may find the fried pork slightly overdone. Overall, it's worth a visit if you're in the area and willing to queue for this flavorful dish.
Opted to explore Maruwa after reading the reviews, and we're delighted we did. The chef and staff exhibited remarkable politeness and assistance. The Konkatsu surpassed any I've had in Japan—thick, juicy, and impeccably cooked without excessive grease. The complimentary rice and cabbage refills were a nice touch. Despite visiting without reservations on a Wednesday evening around 6:30, there was no need to queue. The establishment accommodates around 20 individuals with a combination of bar seating and tables.

Best tonkatsu I've ever had. I was a bit in a hurry, and I almost left the line when 20min passed. But thankfully I didn't, I almost cried of joy after the first bite because of how tasty it was. I definitely recommend!

The wait and serving size were reasonable. But the katsu was tender, juicy but not oily, and packed enough flavour. No fuss and a lot of bang for your buck.

We were lucky as we came on a rainy day so there wasn’t a very long queue. This restaurant does only one thing - fried breaded pork - and it does it very well. Incredibly juicy with the crispiest of coatings. The standard set also comes with a porky miso soup, which is excellent.

(Translated by Google) Motushige is a famous restaurant located in the very heart of Noge, on the symbolic street Noge-koji. It is a popular restaurant and it is no exaggeration to say that no one who drinks in Noge does not know about this place. I heard that the management company has changed recently, but the atmosphere and quality of the food remains the same as before, and it even gave me a sense of security. In particular, the specialty "Shio-nikomi" (salt stew) is still going strong, with its gentle yet deep flavor that makes you want to have seconds no matter how many times you eat it. The menu is centered around grilled dishes, but there are also many side dishes that you can enjoy without ordering skewers, and each dish is delicious. If you're not sure where to go for a night out in Noge, this is definitely a place I would recommend. Even stylish restaurants are hard to enter alone... But then Motsu Shige drew me in. I had the small, U-shaped space in the back all to myself. Appetizer: cabbage (sweet and sour sauce and spicy miso go so well together!) Salted stew (started with shichimi, then spicy miso) Draft beer (so refreshing!) Fresh lemon sour; I chose fresh lemon because the marinade is sweet. Salted pork skewers, crispy on the outside, with sweet and sour sauce and spicy miso. Not too overpowering. Charming, old-fashioned yakitori joint. Run by a multi-generational family staff. Both the staff and customers contribute to a cheery, friendly atmosphere! But it's not just the classic atmosphere that makes it worth a visit. The yakitori is served fresh off the grill. Charcoal, natch. Each cut was juicy, dripping with schmaltz. Paired well with beer!

If you're on the hunt for an unforgettable tempura experience in Japan, look no further than Fukunishi. This charming eatery is renowned for its meticulous attention to detail and offers a delightful array of fresh vegetables, including some of the tastiest asparagus and bamboo you'll ever encounter. A high rating Tabelog restaurant and experience was very bad. Wanted to sit at the counter but was told only high price lunch set was allowed. I ordered a set less the ¥3K. Excessive oily and apparently the dark color was either aged oil or overdone. The tempura was done by an inexperience cook rather than the professional looking chef at the counter. Rice and miso soup was barely warm.

Overrated! Tempura were dried, probably over fried by overheated oil?! Food were served in 2 batches. LEONE MARCIANO is an Italian eatery that serves homemade pasta and other traditional Italian delicacies in a lavish and vintage atmosphere, complete with a bar. The cuisine is exceptional, and the service is impeccable. The dishes are beautifully presented, with particular attention given to plating. Additionally, the restaurant accommodates patrons who prefer their meat well-done by ensuring that it remains juicy and tender. The perfectly cooked homemade pasta is a major draw for customers due to its delicious taste.
The food is great, as is the service. beautifully plated and presented. Me and my husband always want our meat well-done, and yes, it is juicy and tender. The homemade pasta is the attraction for me; it is perfectly cooked and tastes good. Though it's pricey, it's worth your money. We would definitely come back.

Absolutely loved our dining experience at Leone Marciano. First, the restaurant is beautiful! The wine list was decent. The food was amazing! There are course or a la carte options and we chose to order a la carte: calamari, two pastas (which the kitchen split for us), a meat dish each and desserts. Everything was exceptional! We were particularly impressed with the steak filet which was cooked perfectly - medium rare (as requested). The steak was lean - which is not as common in Japan and the peppercorn sauce was excellent! It was a generous size - as was my pork saltimbocca. The servers were very attentive and accommodating for our limited Japanese language skills. Leone Marciano will certainly be on our date night rotation! Reservations suggested.

Leone Marciano is for sure one of the best Italian restaurant in Japan. They do authentic Italian food. Being myself an Italian living abroad I enjoy time to time to go there and I have never been disappointed. Recommended if you are in Yokohama!
Valerio P — Google review
Very presentation-focused, almost 'haute cuisine' type little dishes. This sort of thing is so common and popular in Japan but might be met with cynicism elsewhere, Italy included - it just sort of works to obscure the size of the portions. A bit pretentious. The tomato pasta at lunch just tasted exactly of simple tomato - would have needed more basil and pepper and parmesan for any flavour (but not provided at the table). The antipasti is subject to the quality of meat available in Tokyo which, all right aside from Wagyu beef, is much lower than it would be in Europe.

Japanese restaurant
Ohtanawanoren, a renowned restaurant in the city, is famous for its gyu-nabe, a Japanese take on beef stew. The dish features diced beef, miso, and green onions cooked over an earthen charcoal brazier in a specially made shallow pot. Established over 150 years ago, Ohtanawanoren exudes classic Japanese charm with delicate paper sliding doors and golden tatami mats.
The original beef hot pot restaurant! Enjoy the well-known Yokohama specialty! Although I grew up in Yokohama, few people around me have ever eaten beef hot pot. I made up my mind to go eat such historically famous beef hot pot. There are several famous restaurants in Yokohama, but I made a reservation here because I thought I would be able to taste a more civilized experience since it is served on a shichirin (a seven-ring stove) instead of gas. Although I did not specify it, I was guided to a private room, and a veteran waitress prepares a beef hot pot. There was a courtyard and the restaurant had the appearance of a high-class restaurant. The service is very attentive and you can enjoy a moment of elegance. It is perfect for special occasions! Anyway, there is a sense of calmness. I was worried about the "Fuku Course" but chose the "Beef Pot Flower Course" because I did not know what the seasonal dish would be like. Each of the appetizers was carefully prepared with craftsmanship. Do not underestimate the fact that beef hot pot is the main course. If you think of ryokan cuisine, you are wrong. I was satisfied with the generous portions. Unlike the sweetness of sukiyaki, beef nabe is stewed in sweet miso. It looks like it might be too rich and stomach-churning? I thought so, but the beef cubes are domestically produced and the fat is not cloying. It is tender and tasty enough without marbling. It is served with an egg, which mellows it out and makes it a superb dish. It is even better with rice! Beef hot pot itself is expensive and there is a service charge, so it is not easy to get in, but we stretched ourselves to go there as a reward (^^). Because of the popularity of the restaurant, reservations are recommended one month in advance.

Said to be the originator of beef stew, which became popular with the Meiji Restoration, this renowned restaurant boasts over 150 years of history. The traditional style involves simmering diced beef and vegetables in a secret Edo-style sweet miso sauce. The relaxing, inn-like atmosphere and attentive service create a special experience. While they also offer courses, this time I opted for a la carte options. ⭐️ Menu Items ☑︎ Chunked Beef Stir-Fry (120g of Beef) ¥8,200 ☑︎ Seafood Salad ¥2,970 ☑︎ Rice and Pickles ¥770 10% Service Charge Included The beef stir-fry is tender, with a high-quality flavor and the fat melting away easily. The miso sauce is slightly thick but rich, and pairs perfectly with beaten eggs. The rich flavor makes you want to eat more rice, and it pairs perfectly with unlimited white rice. The miso itself is also great with rice. The seafood salad includes sashimi such as amberjack, tuna, and white squid. We also recommend ordering it with beef stew. They're open for lunch on weekends, but reservations can be hard to come by, so make sure you book early. This is a rare restaurant where you can experience the historic "original beef stew," so be sure to visit. Thank you for the meal! (Translated by Google) I recently visited Ota Nawanoren, a long-established restaurant in Kannai. Passing through the historic gate, I felt as if I'd traveled back in time to the Meiji era. The scent of tatami mats and subdued lighting soothe the soul, creating an elegant, tranquil atmosphere. This is a Japanese restaurant perfect for special occasions and celebrations. The restaurant's specialty is undoubtedly the "gyunabe" (beef hotpot), prepared by the proprietress. A little different from regular sukiyaki, this style involves slowly simmering the meat in a special miso sauce rather than grilling it in an iron pot. Once the hotpot is heated, the aroma of the miso and the sweetness of the beef rise, and the aroma alone is enough to make you crave rice (^ω^). Watching the proprietress carefully spread and cook each piece of meat, I slowly took a bite, and the umami seeped in, leaving me speechless. The richness of the miso and the fat of the meat blend beautifully, creating a truly "good old Japanese feast." The service was impeccably polite, and the understated yet warm hospitality was impressive. The chef explained the dishes in a gentle tone, and while they respect tradition, they also felt a commitment to caring for each and every customer. It was a truly blissful moment, satisfying both my heart and stomach. This is a renowned restaurant that is definitely worth visiting for a special anniversary or a slightly extravagant dinner

YOKOHAMA BASHAMICHI ICE, located in the Red Brick Warehouse, is a top spot in the city to savor delightful treats. Named after Bashamichi Street, it pays homage to Fusazo Machida's pioneering ice cream parlor from 1869 and Hikotaro Uchiki's first bakery, Uchiki Pan.
I had the Mango Sorbet & Milk, very delicious on a hot day. Not too sweet which is perfect, with a crispy topping!

The ice cream was practically credit card-sized and costed in the range of 300 to 400 yen. I got the Milk Cream Ice Cream. In terms of taste and value, it had a unique taste, but not something I would purchase again. I would recommend this to folks looking for a quick taste of ice cream and they have some spare change after shopping.

(Translated by Google) This is Yokohama Bashamichi Ice @Red Brick Warehouse Building 2. Access is not very good, either by car or from various stations, but it is a little closer to Canal Park Station on the Yokohama Air Cabin (Yokohama Ropeway), which has just opened. Although there are families at Red Brick Warehouse, the overwhelming majority are couples. Now, let's talk a little bit about ice cream. There is a theory that ice cream began in the 2nd year of Meiji when Fusazo Machida opened an ice water shop on Yokohama Bashamichi Street to manufacture and sell ice cream. Currently, there are no traces of the old store, but Bashamichi Ice is a store that continues its bloodline. The milk used is approximately Takanashi's specially selected Hokkaido 4.0 milk (milk fat content of 4% or more, that is, thick). Special milk: 370 yen, purple sweet potato Mont Blanc: 550 yen, Shine Muscat & Custard: 400 yen. The ice cream had a contradictory feeling of being rich but refreshing, kind of like milk gelato. Purple sweet potatoes have a rich flavor, while muscat potatoes have a light flavor, which goes well with milk ice cream. I wish I could experience it once. CP The customer service is pretty good, both young men and women, and most of them look at the Buddha's top. Nestled just an 8-minute stroll from Yokohama Station, Trattoria BiCOLORE Yokohama is a hidden gem that beautifully marries the essence of Italian cuisine with a relaxed dining atmosphere. This charming eatery showcases the culinary expertise of its chef, who brings over three decades of experience to the table. The menu features an impressive array of pasta, meat, and seafood dishes that are both traditional and innovative, crafted using seasonal ingredients sourced from Italy and Japan alike.

(Translated by Google) Vale la pena di visitare l'Italia come la immaginano i giapponesi. It's a very elaborate and elaborate Italian dish. The seasoning is sweet for Japanese people. I was a little taken aback when I imagined Italian food with a salty punch. The interior design is inspired by Italy, but it's a bit disappointing that it doesn't have that Italian frankness. I tried talking to the staff about various things, but it wasn't a pleasant conversation. The politeness typical of Japanese restaurants, or in other words, the ``polite and rude'' feel, may make some customers uncomfortable. I said hello to the kitchen on my way out, but I didn't even look back. Maybe it's the store's policy. I'm the type of customer who thinks that all of these things are included in the price, such as greeting customers properly when entering and leaving the restaurant, and conversing with the staff during the meal. It's a nice shop, but customers like me may not be welcomed. This is by no means a criticism of the store. This is just some unsolicited advice in the hope that it will become an even better Italian restaurant. Abbiamo mangiato bene. Grazie mille. Buona serata. Not bad at all for the money necessary to eat a steak and drink wine after walking around the vast and huffy-puffy windy Minatomirai... well, there could be something lacking in a subtle service and/or fun in each dish, as some reviewers might felt like a star minus... As if they are pretty nice and attentive but forget to check or bring the customer something in the process. The staff’s attitude is generally fine and overall cost performance is also fine, though. Please check the fact out by yourself in there.

Janomeya, located in Isezakicho, is a well-known restaurant that has been specializing in gyu-nabe since the Meiji Era. It is famous for serving top-quality A5-ranked beef and delicious beef hotpot dishes. The restaurant offers an upscale dining experience with exceptional customer service and private dining rooms for a more intimate setting.
Our first real meal in Japan! We wanted to go to another place nearby which is the oldest gyu nabe restaurant in Yokohama but they were fully booked even though our hotel called the day reservations opened supposedly. The beef set we got was really good. The meat was soft and delicious. The mushroom was the silkiest I’ve ever had. Their nabe sauce is different and very good. I only wish they cooked for you though because I don’t think we balanced the sauce well.

However, I wanted to find a restaurant that I could take foreigners to when they came, and my companions also wanted to try it out, so we went there on Saturday, the first day of Golden Week. At 16:00, there are not many customers. Or rather, we were the only ones there. For now, I ordered an appetizer set of 1000 yen for beef hot pot loin and beer snacks for 6000 yen. You can choose between rice and noodles. It was OK to refill the rice as many times as you wanted. The sukiyaki I ate for the first time in a while was delicious. The meat was expensive and it was great. I thought I had ordered extra meat, but for foreigners who are not used to eating marbled beef, thigh meat may be easier to eat than marbled beef. Even peaches are marbled enough! If you're not sure about jazz then this is a good place to go beca use its not as confronting as one of the many tiny jazz venues which often have you an arm's length from the performers.

Overpriced for the food and quantity was too small. Quality of the Burger and Salad Nicoise were good but the Fish and Chips were too dissapointing. No live music tonight on Saturday Feb 13th 2021

Located between Yokohama Stadium and Chinatown, Windjammer is the city's oldest jazz bar. Its interior resembles the inside of a vintage ship, reflecting its namesake - the windjammer merchant sailing ships from the 19th and 20th centuries. Since 1972, Windjammer has been a staple in Yokohama's live music scene with nightly performances by its host band.
Amazing jazz bar in yokohama, the vibe was great and the tunes that jazz musicians play is awesome !👍🏻 I will suggest that try to listen live jazz in a bar even you haven’t heard about jazz live before ! It would surprise you ! I didn’t try their burger because it was sold out🥲 Remember check the live schedule before you go and there might be a many people are queuing up for the live.

We had a decent time here on a Saturday night. The bars theme is based off of old sailing ships with unique decor and a dark glowing ambiance. The live music was pleasant and not overbearing. The drinks were delicious but a little pricey. We stayed for two music sets which lasted for about 2 hours. I recommend the windjammer cocktail specials including the jack tar high.

If you are looking for live jazz in a nautical styled pub, this will be your jam! We had some interesting nachos (not the North American portions) and margaritas while listening to a trio of piano, stand-up bass, and drums. Fun night and would definitely go back.

This is a nice little bar in Yokohama. The live is music is really entertaining and the food and drinks are great. Of course they charge 700 yen per person for the music!
Coleen P — Google review
The live music brings about a nice relaxing energy. They play for 30 mins then break for 30. There is a ¥600 cover on nights with music that is payed when you pay your bill. The bartender is thorough. The drinks are good. There's also a food menu. Overall a very nice place to have a drink and enjoy live music.

Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff, wide selection of cocktails that are well made, nice to have jazz playing in the background!

A rare gem. Established in 1972, Windjammer is a unicorn of jazz bars. Both refined and humble, it's stayed true to its 70's aesthetic and mood. Wood panelling and furniture that resembles the galley of a ship, lit with low warm lighting, low ceilings for a cosy ambience, waiters and bar staff in black vests and pressed white shirts, and the best old school slow jazz... It's like the very best of a time capsule. Menu includes clamato, cocktails, escargot, burgers, free chicken ... Real 70's fare, but delicious. Safe, welcoming, clean and consistent. Nice attention to detail. We've been coming here for 2 years before Covid and we are so glad it's still going strong! This kind of jazz bar doesn't exist anymore, so it's vital more people support it. ¥700 cover charge to watch a jazz trio play old jazz standards, brilliant musos - riffing, jamming and enjoying themselves. Price is really reasonable and it's a part of jazz history which is great too support. People come here for the love of music, not to show off, not to get drunk. It's a genuine place for musicians, music lovers and jazz bugs who live history in a cosy place that still holds old school charm. Highly recommended!

Looks ved the atmosphere, hard wood and low lights. Had been there about two hours for food and drinks before we found out they had a live jazz band that night but you still had to pay an additional cover fee.

A16 YOKOHAMA is a great Italian restaurant that faces a beautiful view of the bay. The food is delicious and authentic, with great dough and cheeses, and superb desserts. Outdoor seating offers the best view and makes for an excellent date night spot.
Delicious Napoli style pizza cooked to perfection with a crispy crust. Delicious toppings. One pizza was enough for a single dinner. Would liked to have tried more on the menu. Friendly and attentive staff. English menu.

Delicious pizza - we tried both the salsiccia and margherita. Crust and flavor was so good. A bit of wait time initially to be seated, but the staff was excellent and we had some lovely (very reasonably priced) wine to accompany it.

Italian cuisine adapted to US tastes. Oven based dishes executed with care and passion are not to be missed. Try oven roast vegetables, oven roasted fish of the day, and of course oven baked pizzas. Then you understand why it is packed with frequent-visit customers.

Good food.. the lunch deal is v worth it. Wish they have more branches in japan.. one star less is the service can be alittle more attentive- to serve water to all guests at start and to ask if coffee would like to be serve with the desserts, also the music could be a bit softer. Nevertheless, highly recommend the place coz the food n ambience is good , anti pasta, main dish, dessert, coffee are all delicious

Coffee shop
Cafe Elliott Avenue is a Western-style cafe located in Yokohama, just across from Yamashita Park. It pays homage to Seattle, the birthplace of Starbucks and latte art. The cafe offers a unique experience by serving coffee made from high-quality beans directly imported from Espresso Vivace, a renowned coffee shop in Seattle. Visitors can savor velvety smooth lattes prepared by skilled baristas trained under Vivace's owner, David Schomer.
Stopped off for a coffee. Best lattes my husband and I have drunk in 3 weeks in Japan. And beautiful foam art.

The place is nice. I liked the seating structure and they have variety of coffee. The staff is kind. There are art decoration mixed with the jazz music in the background. Feels refreshing. The coffee was a bit bitter. I didn’t like the flavour. The cappuccino cake was delicious. It was soft and not too strong. It comes with ice cream on the side. At the time of my visit, they only accepted cash (i don’t know if in the future they will accept card payments)

APRIL 2023 Came here a little over an hour before closing and ordered a caffe latte. Not long after I took a seat, the barista came with the cup containing the espresso shot and poured in the milk, finishing with a perfect latte art. It was a cool concept where they do the latte art at your table, however I'm not sure if they do this for every latte order. The caffe latte was very tasty; full body with a strong and pleasant coffee flavor.

Loved the coffee, also so friendly owner, staff, great service. I heard this place is tied up with the guy in Seattle who invented the latte and latte art, is that true? Also so nice touches of art on the wall, other talking points. I regret not trying a Lamington. Thank you very much, hope to get back soon.

Great coffee and friendly staff. Wanted to take out ice coffee to the park so we stopped by at this cafe. We went later in the afternoon so most of the sweets were sold out. You cans choose from two different beans depending on the day but one of the beans were bought in from Seattle. We both choose the beans from Seattle. It looked dark and I thought it was going to be a little too heavy for me as I am not really keen on bitter coffees but this one was super good! Nothing bitter and the aftertaste was very light. Loved the ice coffee.
Risa — Google review
Got the chance to drop by here again recently, and it's still every bit as fabulous as I remembered. Chill atmosphere with soft jazz playing in the background, fabulous desserts, and some of the best coffee you'll find in Japan. This time I tried a seasonal flavored latte (pumpkin), which was perfectly balanced to have a lovely flavor without being overwhelming. I also tried the Espresso Zenzai for the first time, which is essentially a Japanese twist on a classic affogato. It was really tasty, highly recommend! If you're in the mood for something sweet and truly fabulous, definitely have the cheesecake, it's still one of the best I've ever had. One of the things I love about this place (besides the food and drinks) is the staff. The baristas are so kind and friendly, and they are glad to explain the menu in detail. One of my favorite things is that they pour the latte in front of you so you get to watch the creation of the latte art - and each type of latte has a different style of latte art! It brings their craft to another level and makes for very photogenic drinks, if that's your thing! (It definitely is mine, as you can see...) It's also just across from Yamashita park and a few streets from Chinatown (Chuukagai), so it's a great place to sit, rest your feet, and catch your breath while you take a break from the busy streets and crowded park.

Need to come back here and try the espresso and the cafe art. After ordering I found out it’s famous for those! The americano was really good. Distinct flavour, not bitter or too dark. Has potential for sure. Played and American jazz radio station. Staff seemed pleasant.

This elegant bar is a haven for cocktail enthusiasts and those seeking an exceptional drinking experience. With its stylish decor and impressive drink menu, Bar Noble promises to delight visitors with high-quality service that meets their elevated expectations. While the cocktails are crafted with precision, some patrons have noted that the service can feel somewhat mechanical, lacking a personal touch.

Great cocktails, but the service is so wooden it feels like I was being served by a robot. The bartender free poured my cocktail, but in a way that looked so damn robotic. It takes skills to free pour and pull it off, but you need a touch of passion and charisma to make it really work.

(Translated by Google) Koma-san has been interested in me for a while, so I went there today. The store has a calm and elegant atmosphere, and the general staff, young people, and female staff all work hard and make you feel comfortable. Lunch was a little more expensive in this day and age than when I looked into it. However, I am very grateful that I can enjoy authentic counter sushi at a reasonable price even though it is lunch. The restaurant's atmosphere allows it to accommodate entertaining guests in the evening, and it would be a good idea for couples to take their partner out for a slightly more relaxed lunch. The taste is orthodox sushi, but the ingredients are fresh, carefully prepared, and very delicious. It's not too difficult to get into, but it's a good idea to approach it a little outsider! ️ postscript I'll be visiting again. Today I had ``Special Sushi (Nikiri)'' for lunch. Butcher Republic is a hidden gem located on the third floor of the Red Brick Warehouse, offering a cozy and romantic atmosphere perfect for a meal. While reservations are recommended to avoid waiting, the food comes out surprisingly quickly once you order. Their Chicago-style deep-dish pizza is a delightful twist on the classic, featuring an abundance of cheese that makes it incredibly satisfying. Although it may not be identical to what you'd find in Chicago, it's certainly a delicious treat while in Japan!
You might have to wait a bit at this pizza place if you don’t have a reservation. For the pizza, since they bake it fresh, it usually takes about 30 minutes, so it’s best to order the pizza right when you sit down. But honestly, the food doesn’t take too long overall—it actually comes out pretty fast. We ordered vegetable penne, a steak, and a Chicago pizza. The Chicago pizza tasted more like a tart than a regular pizza, kind of like a cheese tart, and it was super tasty! It was crispy and hot, which I really liked. Plus, the restaurant had a beautiful night view. There’s a seating charge (service fee), and you have to order using a QR code, which can be a bit annoying. You need a phone, and you also have to have LINE, because you need to add the restaurant’s LINE account to order. That was a bit of a hassle. The three of us were eating together, but only my phone worked for the QR code. Later, when we saw the survey, it mentioned that you could actually order without a phone, but the staff didn’t tell us that, so that was a bit disappointing. Other than that, everything was really good, and I’d definitely recommend it. The service was nice too.

Went for lunch after 2pm ish wasn’t crowded. Seated right away served water and let us know the pizza would take 25 minutes to make. Got salami ap and a caeser salad with duck fat bacon both came out in a timely manner and was good. For choice of pizza went with the pulled pork. Flavorful and good. Great service and atmosphere would come back.

Was surprised to find a deep-dish pizza here and read so many positive reviews about it. Unfortunately, the food here didn’t seem to live up to its hype. The pizza was ok but I don’t know why the cheese they used was so sharp. The roasted chicken was decent if a little dry. The biggest disappointment was the Brussels sprouts dish which contained about 8 halves of the sprouts with an equal amount of was what seemed to be made up of potatoes, mushrooms and anchovies. I mean, if your dish is a Brussels sprouts dish and it seemed like it was equal amounts other ingredients and Brussels sprouts, that’s disappointing. The anchovy flavour also overpowered the flavour of the sprouts. While the additional cover charge of 400 yen was ok, unfortunately, the quality of the food did not justify this. Staff were attentive as with most Japanese F&B outlets.

What a fun place to stumble across. Being from Chicago I always love to try Chicago Deep Dish pizza when I travel. This rendition was very cheesy and delicious! It isn’t exactly the same as what you will find in Chicago but being here in Japan, this was surely a treat. They had a great beer selection as well. *Pro Tip: put the sauce on top of the cheese and then the Parmesan on top of the sauce and you will have a more authentic Chicago pizza!
Staci W — Google review
The Chicago pizza is SOOO Salty!! It tasted like nothing I had tried in Chicago. Please use better cheese and blend your signature cheese mix and make sure it doesn’t just taste salty. The Chicago pizza tasted cheap and just an idea to charge more. The crust was hard to cut and it’s overly baked that the top layer tastes bitter. A pizza that costs 4000¥ isn’t any better than Domino Pizza. The smoked duck salad is good, but slightly salty too.
Maccus W — Google review
Here’s my honest review of this restaurant as an expat. The staff were welcoming. The atmosphere was a bit confusing because they played 90s-2000s music & the decor is a bit dated. They charge 400 yen cover per person. We had the Chicago classic large size - 4 slices and enough to share for 2. Their cheese one is popular and I think we should’ve ordered that! The fries were crunchy and the truffle mayo was great.

Amazing restaurant that's kind of tucked away upstairs on the 3rd floor of the Red Brick Warehouse. Despite being tucked away the restaurant is huge and really romantically lit but perhaps a bit dark during the day. There are a variety of different seating areas ranging from booths to middle seating to long sofa seating. The pizza was amazing and a small was just about enough for two of us although we weren't starving. The craft beer was good and they also sell pints of Heineken for ¥950 which honestly isn't that bad considering the setting. I would definitely come again.

It’s uncommon for Japanese restaurants to charge a 10% service fee, but the service here was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. I arrived around 2:30 and waited for about 30 minutes. Maybe because of that, my expectations for the taste were kind of high. I ordered the lunch set—the quality of the beef was excellent. And the portion was just right—any more and it might have felt a bit too heavy.

(Translated by Google) I thoroughly enjoyed the long-awaited Gyuunabe Hamaroman course. What was brought before me was beautifully marbled beef, plump tofu, sweet white onions, and shirataki noodles that were well-seasoned. The colorful presentation was appetizing. The beef, covered in the sauce, was so tender that it melted in my mouth the moment I put it in my mouth, with an exquisite balance of high-quality fat and lean meat, and the flavor spread more and more the more I chewed. Next, the sweetness of the tofu and white onions soaked in the sauce, and the smooth texture of the shirataki noodles further enhanced the flavor of the beef. I was reminded that the best part of gyuunabe is that each ingredient offers a different texture and flavor while being covered in the flavor of the sauce. The udon noodles at the end, which had absorbed plenty of the sauce that had condensed the flavor of the beef stew, were smooth and chewy, and I couldn't resist them. The udon noodles, simmered in the best soup that blended the flavors of beef and vegetables, were truly blissful, and even though I was full, I enjoyed it until the last bite. It was the best beef hotpot experience that warmed both my body and soul (^^) (Original)

(Translated by Google) We visited for a holiday lunch. We waited a little while before entering, but the waiter who guided us was very polite and made a good impression. There were only two of us, but the table seats four, so we were able to relax. I ordered the Bamboo course, and my companion ordered the easy beef hotpot. For the easy option, the meat is already cooked and ready to eat. For my meal, the ingredients are first simmered, so we have to wait a while, but the side dishes of chawanmushi and sashimi were both delicious, so we didn't get bored while we waited. We chose the Bamboo course, which has less marbling, and although it wasn't as melt-in-your-mouth tender as marbled meat, we could still taste the meat fibers and felt like we had eaten some meat, which was very satisfying. I also hadn't had clam miso soup recently, so it was a nice touch. For the final dessert, we had a mini anmitsu. It might look like a small portion, but it was actually enough, so it was a great choice. When we left, the restaurant opened the noren curtain to see us off, so we felt like we had a pleasant time. Beef Hot Pot Gozen Take ¥4,290 Beef Hot Pot Gozen Matsu ¥5,940 Matsutake Mushroom Dobin Steamed Pot ¥1,650 (As of October 2025) The difference between Matsu and Take is that Matsu is marbled meat, while Take is lean meat. Even though it's lean, it had just the right amount of marbling, making it comparable to Matsu. The hot pot was topped with scallions, chrysanthemum chrysanthemum, shiitake mushrooms, tofu, and meat on top of the sashimi sauce. It took a while for the meat to cook. The sashimi was a good portion and delicious, and the chawanmushi, although served in a small bowl, was also delicious. The matsutake mushroom dobinmushi was topped with a quick squeeze of sudachi citrus juice, which added a lovely aroma and rich flavor. The staff's service was also excellent, with attentive and attentive service evident throughout. I had the impression that they were always there to support me, and I was particularly impressed by how they spoke to me at just the right time and with just the right distance. I ordered the casual lunch set, and both the pasta and salad were delicious. 🥗 The carbonara was quite rich, so I wish I'd gone for a tomato-based pasta instead. The pork steak was also appealing, so I'd like to go again if I get the chance. The peach jelly for dessert had a strong peach flavor and was very delicious. 🍑 There weren't many places to wait inside the restaurant, and the entrance seemed crowded, but I think it's a great restaurant because it seems to be able to accommodate a variety of numbers of people. It was a little after 11:00 on a weekday, shortly after opening, so we were able to enter smoothly. There were only five or six other groups of customers ahead of us. The staff were very polite and pleasant, and they even provided chairs and tableware for children, which was very helpful. The restaurant and seating were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The lunch menu had a wide variety of options, so we enjoyed spending time choosing. My wife ordered duck confit and I ordered sea bream poele. We also added cheesecake and chocolate gateau for dessert. The appetizers, bread, soup, and drinks were all easy to eat and delicious. The main dish was lightly seasoned but had a strong umami flavor, and we were very satisfied. Our child doesn't like strong flavors and doesn't eat much when eating out, but he gobbled up the meat, fish, and soup here. He seemed to particularly like the pumpkin soup, and it was memorable to see him smile with every sip. Nice quiet bar with the best of the 80s music playing. The bartender was very kind and attentive(probably the owner as well). The beer selection is diverse but they can run put of certain beers during the day. There is a Dragon Quest Easter egg hidden in the bar, find it!

lovely beer bar tucked away on a quiet street. They offer 11 types of craft beer on tap the day I visited and while the menu isn’t huge, the food is well executed and pairs perfectly with the drinks — the fish and chips stood out, with a real taste of fresh fish. The friendly boss runs the place single-handedly, adding to the warm, personal vibe. Highly recommended!

(Translated by Google) I went to "THE TERRACE Yokohama Marine Tower". This is an Italian restaurant on the 4th floor of the renovated Marine Tower that can also be used for weddings. The area faces the sea, and on sunny days, it's a great location where you can dine on the terrace. The store was bright and clean, and the atmosphere and staff's service was good. There are three main types of lunch here: a pasta or pizza course, a main course, and a course where you can enjoy both pasta and main course. I ordered the ``Recommended LUNCH COURSE'' where I could enjoy both, and the pasta was ``spaghetti with squid and arugula,'' and the main course was a fish dish. First we were served soup and focaccia. The soup is a potage of new cabbage, and although it is cabbage, it is rich and the cream inside is delicious. The appetizer is ``Tuna Carpaccio'', which is a lean tuna carpaccio with a refreshing acidity that makes it easy to eat. For the pasta, the squid and arugula were seasoned well with olive oil and salt, and the pasta was perfectly cooked and delicious. The main dish was ``Poiled Sea Bream'', which was elaborately made with tomato sauce, green beans, and baby cabbage with risotto spread under it. Whether it's French or Italian, fish dishes are always full of fresh surprises. The last dolce is mango sorbet and grapefruit Campari jelly, and the jelly is a refreshing and delicious dolce with the taste of grapefruit wrapped in Campari jelly. We finished the meal with coffee and a baked confectionery that is the prototype for macarons. The staff here are casual, but they care about the customers in a casual manner, which makes me feel relieved. The meal made me feel very good. This is a very special 5 stars Chinese Restaurant inside a 5 stars hotel . The service is very good . I booked the table through the bell counter and we got the window seats, very nice view overlooking the beautiful harbour. The food presentation and serving were in western style. The food taste very good . It's a very good dinning experience especially with good friends.

We had IHG food & beverage credits that were going to expire soon, so since we were staying at the Intercontinental Yokohama Grand, we decided to try this restaurant on the 31st floor. The good: outstanding view of the harbor and attentive service The bad: the food was nowhere near as good as the view. The soup was lukewarm and overly salted. The Peking Duck was cold. The crab fried rice was cooked near crab meat, but very little made it into the dish and it was not very warm. The fried crab claw was good. In short, if you have F&B credits to burn, sure, it’s better than losing the credits. If you’re paying on your own, avoid.

Worst Chinese food of all the 200 or more Chinese restaurants I have ever been to. Poor service too - brought just 2 menus to us for our table of 5 even though the restaurant was almost empty. As the host I was not even offered a menu. Have to eat off trays like it is some kind of factory canteen. Glass of sake turned out to be about quarter of a glass - I would have sent it back, but I didn’t want to embarrass my guests. Waitress pushed my tray back into my body to make way for putting down a dish on table. Didn’t even have a mobile card charger so I had to pay bill at a kiosk like it was some small ramen shop. And then they add 13% service charge when service is never added in Japan. Considering we are staying at the hotel and have two rooms here, I would’ve expected so much more from a restaurant in a 5-star hotel like Intercontinental Yokohama Grand

Very quite and nice atmosphere. Foods are all decent and wine they recommend me was nice too. View are also really good.

(Translated by Google) I'll never go there again, and I won't use it again. I thought it would be difficult to choose a Chinese restaurant in Yokohama, but I drew the short straw. We had a family gathering. The most expensive lunch course was 10,000 yen, but even 5,000 yen seemed expensive. No, it wasn't the price; the satisfaction level was almost zero. The moment I took a bite of the appetizer, I thought, "Oh no, I messed up." I felt responsible because I was the one who selected the restaurant. The shrimp fritters were far from crispy. The shark fin soup was delicious, but it lacked the flavor of shark fin. The skin on the dim sum platter felt like it had been left for a while after being steamed. It was far from chewy or plump. The braised pork belly and taro were good because they used pork belly with the skin on, but they weren't steamed enough. This dish is one of my specialties, so I was looking forward to it when it was on the menu, but I was disappointed. I'm not saying my version is better, but I think it tastes authentic. The mango pudding for dessert was delicious. This costs 10,000 yen. And the main dish is usually pork, right? 10,000 yen for that. The only reason this restaurant is thriving in Yokohama with this quality is because it's in a hotel; if it were in town, no one would go. The service was also terrible. I reserved a private room, but the fee was 18,000 yen. It was a two-hour restaurant, but even though I made the reservation several months in advance, they only allowed us in from 11:00. Why? Last orders for lunch are at 2:30 PM. Even if they closed at 3:00 PM, it would be impossible for them to take another reservation. We were chatting at a family gathering, rushing around until we were seated, when someone barged in and said, "It's a two-hour restaurant, so please order your drinks first," which forced us to order without even looking at the menu. Then, just before 1:15 PM, they rushed us to leave. That's not the closing time for the government office. If they were to accommodate another group in the afternoon, they would probably have to either clean the place and change over within the time we had paid, or have the other group cover the cost. That's the kind of hospitality establishment it is. Even a establishment like this is thriving. I can't believe it. The name value of a hotel is amazing. This hotel currently has a rating of 4.3, but I wonder who gave it that rating? Perhaps they have a tongue of lead, or their senses have been numbed by the spectacular location.

Garlic Jo's is a popular restaurant known for its delicious food and impressive selection of alcoholic drinks. The menu is centered around garlic-infused dishes, which may not be everyone's preference, but the execution of the garlic flavor is commendable. Despite some delays in service, the restaurant offers a wide variety of tasty options such as garlic steak, mixed fried rice, strong fried rice, and leafy greens.
Very great restaurant if you love garlic. V generous amount. The steak is really easy to chew and garlic chips make it top notch. All servers are kind and energetic. Highly recommended!! (But not for a first date)

They have garlic in everything :D The place is bigger than I expected, and it was packed on Saturday night. We tried the creamy garlic spaghetti, beef and lettuce fried rice, garlic chicken steak, and garlic bread. The spaghetti was my favorite – the sauce was creamy, and the garlic flavor was just right. The fried rice reminded me of a Javanese style, but it was a bit too salty. The chicken steak was juicy and had lots of garlic, last, the garlic bread was good too. It’s easy to see why this place is popular, the food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. I’ll definitely come back to try other dishes. Edit: I did go back and tried their shrimp mayo pizza. The crust was very thin, and it was served in 12 squares, each topped with half a shrimp, the shrimp flavor was hardly noticeable. Additionally, it was overly salty from the cheese and garlic butter. I’m lowering my rating, as this isn’t the first overly salty dish I’ve had here.

I loved the decor of this place! Very American, country-like style and the fragrance of garlic fills the restaurant, even extending to the walkways of the mall. There are so many dishes on the menu, you’d be spoilt for choice. We had a hard time deciding what to pick because everything seemed good. Had no regrets popping in for a meal, garlic lovers must visit! Not to mention the prices are very reasonable as well

Really great American style garlic-themed restaurant. Almost all the food on the menu includes some element of garlic (including the tiramisu). If you’re a fan of garlic or you want to enjoy an American diner like experience in Yokohama then I highly recommend it. Additionally, the service was wonderful. Quick, friendly and attentive.

They boldly celebrated the power of garlic, and the retro American diner vibes sat the tone for a fun and flavorful experience. The garlic fried rice was a standout dish. Each grain was well-coated with a savory soy-based seasoning, tossed with tender chunks of beef, crisp lettuce, and egg, all elevated by the satisfying crunch and aroma of golden garlic chips. The garlic caesar salad wasn’t an average salad. Along with fresh romaine and rich Caesar dressing, it’s topped with whole roasted garlic cloves, crispy garlic chips, and a generous snow of parmesan. It’s bold with a punch of umami and mellow spicy from the garlic. The garlic pizza was thin, crispy, and generously layered with cheese and sliced garlic. It was simple but addictive. The garlic was roasted just right—not too sharp—offering a mellow spicy that enhanced the cheesy base😍

I loved everything about my experience and garlic food dishes that I tried! The pizza and the mixed fried rice was so comforting after a long day on my feet and my husband agrees. I would recommend and wish to eat here again!

**menu ordered: roast garlic & mozzarella spaghetti with tomato sauce ¥1,380++ heaven for garlic lovers. rich, flavorful, and super satisfying—definitely one of their signature pastas and so worth it if you’re all about that garlic kick.

Huge restaurant specializing in garlic-heavy dishes. My friends and I tried the garlic steak, mixed fried rice, the strong fried rice, and the leafy greens. Everything was delicious in it’s own way so you won’t go wrong with anything I mentioned. However, it did take them almost 30 minutes to deliver one of the fried rices and it was because they forgot about it.
