Soup restaurant
Pallubasa Serigala is a must-visit restaurant in Makassar, South Sulawesi, known for its unique culinary offering. This eatery serves a dish similar to Coto Makassar but with distinct flavors and spices. The signature dish, Pallubasa, is a soup made from offal and meat, accompanied by raw egg as a garnish. Located on Jalan Serigala No.
Pallubasa Serigala in Makassar is a popular spot known for its rich and flavorful pallubasa. The broth is savory and thick, with tender meat and a generous topping of grated coconut that adds a unique touch to the dish. It's definitely one of the must-try traditional foods when visiting Makassar. While the food is undeniably good, the place itself is not very spacious. It can feel a bit cramped, especially during peak hours when it gets quite crowded. Seating is limited, so it's best to visit during off-hours if you want a more relaxed experience. Overall, Pallubasa Serigala is worth visiting for the taste, but be prepared for a tight space and a bit of a wait if you come during busy times.

Arrive in makassar and directly went to this place. One of the most favorite local food destination. The taste is original but it’s too salty for me. The portion looked small but enough for me. The meat itself not so special as it comes from the local. But still it’s a must to try if you come to makassar.
Ricco N — Google review
Super popular among locals. Very rich and thick broth. A little bit too salty for my liking, but still hella delicious. Try it with egg, it tastes supper yummy! Servers were quick, but the cashier (a woman with acnes and hijab) were super rude and harsh. She threw my change money. Be nice with your customers, one day your attitude will bite you back. The place is a little bit cramped and hot.

tasted sooo guwd!! light but tasteful broth! eat two portions, they can do cashless by transfer (no qris). 220k for 5people (rice, soup+egg, iced tea)

A must-try place when you visit Makassar! My favorite is the Pallubasa campur (mixed meat and offal) without egg. The portion may look small, but it’s actually quite filling. Don’t forget to try the cashew nuts too — I usually buy some extra to enjoy later at the hotel 😄 If possible, try to avoid lunch hours, as it’s usually crowded and parking can be difficult.
Mardhiana K — Google review
(+) The taste is suitable, the meat is quite tender, the portion is moderate, suitable for those on a culinary tour (-) It is very hot, so consider an air-conditioned room. Limited parking space in weekend

Narto T — Google review
This place used to be on the top of my most frequently visit Suki restaurant list. Unfortunately, on my last visit, I experienced few unpleasant things. I remembered asking the table attendant to exclude 1 plate of a menu as I thought we had picked up many Suki plates yet they still charged it in the bill and none of us could remember whether we ate it or not. Also, I asked the price of beverage in a pitcher and the attendant just brought the beverage pitcher directly without telling me the price. Being a Suki lover plus I was with my family so I decided to just do the payment and left. If any of you wants to enjoy Suki here, just ensure the Suki plates they put in is in line with your order before eating. For price indication not put in the menu e.g beverage in pitcher, one may emphasize on it while ordering to avoid unwanted experience.

Ati Raja is a popular eatery in Makassar, Indonesia, known for its authentic Indonesian cuisine. The restaurant specializes in a variety of meatball dishes, which are served in spacious and modest surroundings. Visitors can enjoy delicious fried meatballs with a Thai sauce and garnished with spring onions. Additionally, they offer soup-based meatballs served with Burasa, a traditional Makassar dish similar to lontong.
Must visit when you stay in Makassar. Delicious. Great vibes. Swift service.
Dian A — Google review
Nyuk nyang is good, it’s like a mixture of fried tofu & taopok. Quite chewy. Meatball is so so but the broth is flavourful.
Mabel G — Google review
The authentic bakso from Makassar that you really can’t find anywhere else, definitely a must-try when visiting the city. I ordered the Bakso Ati Raja mix, which came with bakso ati raja, boiled nyuknyang, and fried nyuknyang. The taste is consistently good and never changes over the years. I also tried their pisang ijo, but for me it was nothing special, I didn’t really enjoy the texture of the skin. Their jalangkote was not bad though. Service was fairly quick and the prices are worth it. However, I have to say that while most of the staff were okay, a few of them came across as a bit unfriendly. They also serve a takeaway package that you can bring home as a souvenir, which is a nice touch if you want to share the taste of Makassar with friends or family.
Rydha S — Google review
must try fried meatball (bakso goreng), crispy outside but soft inside. a lot of waitress but only few that really work, the rest just chatting with colleague without care about customer 👎🏻 open concept resto (without AC) & a bit dark.

We ordered view menu like meatball, ice pisang ijo, pisang goreng, fried red rice, juice For me the most recomended one only fried meatball, for ice pisang ijo stadart taste and too flour.their service for me not welcome
Edy M — Google review
Ati Raja is a famous meatball restaurant in Makassar city. Since they receive so much love from the customers both locally and outside Makassar city, Ati Raja also provides the frozen meatball as a souvenir to bring back home. They also have many outlets in this city. This one that I visited was in Gunung Merapi street that has a large space with street parking outside. Musholla is also available. In this outlet, they also sell some snacks and syrup as the typical souvenir from Makassar. Besides meatball, Ati Raja provides the other menu as well. There are fried rice, noodles, kwetiaw, bihun, soto Banjar, otak-otak, and many more. I tried Bakso Ati Raja (IDR 30,000). A bowl of plentiful soft beef meatballs, beef muscle meatballs, nyuknyang in a clear broth with green onions. Served it with lime and if you like spicy, don't forget to add it! You could eat them together with rice or buras. I chose buras (rice cake).
Feliciana X — Google review
Great meatball, especially their fried meatball. Fair price with their service and clean place. Order their markisa juice and fried tofu to complete your meatball dishes

Bad service, impolite waiter and waitress but i respect the one who stay at the cashier. I guess he was the boss. Even the boss could be that good person to us as a consument but why the staff can't ????????? For food taste good no wonder cause they were the famous one in Makassar.

South Sulawesi restaurant
Rumah Makan Muda Mudi is a well-known establishment in Makassar that offers a variety of homey dishes in a humble setting. This restaurant has been around since 1993 and is popular among locals and tourists alike. Their menu includes delectable options such as Nasi Goreng (fried rice), Es Pisang Ijo (iced green banana), Jalangkote, and otak-otak. It is also the perfect place for enjoying tea time.
More than just a place to eat—it's a flavorful journey that brings back nostalgic memories. The Es Pisang Ijo is flawless—soft, sweet, and refreshing. The Jalangkote is crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, perfectly complemented by the tangy vinegar sauce. Fast service, clean and cozy atmosphere. Perfect for relaxing with family or friends. A must-visit when in Makassar!"
Hanif D — Google review
Went here based on the recommendation from the locals (they said it'sa place for finding the best es pisang ijo. The jalangkote and lumpia are also recommended ones). Tried their specials: es pisang ijo, pallu butung, jalangkote, lumpia; and also the other menus: gado gado and lontong campur. Es pisang ijo was good enough, but we love pallu butung more👍. The sumsum tasted "sharp". The pisang ijo syrup was a little bit too sweet for us, even though the ice had melted. Luckily, on both menus, the bananas were tender and sweet enough; unlike what we've found in other places in Makassar. Gado gado tasted good 👍, but we didn't like the lontong campur (weird for us, maybe not suitable for our taste buds hahaha). The jalangkote and lumpia are also good enough. We personally like the lumpia better. The place was clean also 👌
Dewi S — Google review
Es Pisang Ijo is a must eat dessert in Makassar. The grab driver brought me to a resto named Muda Mudi, he said it has the best es pisang ijo in town and yes...!!! I like it very much. The green flour covering the banana is very nice and the syrup also nice... Must try..!!
Jenny S — Google review
At Rumah Makan Muda Mudi, our dinner exploration unfolded, revealing a tapestry of tastes and textures that painted distinct impressions. The Nasi Campur delivered an enjoyable ensemble, featuring succulent cuts of meat and a flavorful Rawon broth that truly stood out. The Gado-Gado and the Jakarta-style Mie Goreng both left their mark with a pleasing symphony of flavors, masterfully balanced. The Mie, with its ideal texture, showcased a harmonious middle ground between being overly firm and excessively soft. In a slight departure, the Es Teler left a bit to be desired, its visual appeal lacking the desired allure. The initial assurance of jackfruit presence, provided by the staff, was ultimately unfulfilled when the dish was served. Concurrently, the restaurant's staff exhibited limitations in their knowledge about the menu, struggling even with basic inquiries such as the volume of their bottled water. Notably, I've formed a habit of ordering Pisang Hijau to go as an ole-ole. The added convenience here is that the restaurant offers vacuum packing for this purpose, ensuring a seamless takeaway experience.
Cindillicious — Google review
Popular for their Es Pisang Ijo (Banana Ice). Taste great! Winning as the most favorite Es Pisang Ijo in Makassar (see the video above). Kinda pricy though but a great place to enjoy authentic Makassar's cuisine.
Sam J — Google review
One of a-must-visit eatery when you are in Makassar. Quite famous with the Nasi Goreng (fried rice), their Es Pisang Ijo (iced green banana) is also superb! Also try the Jalangkote and otak-otak. The right place for tea time.
Rivo P — Google review
Went to this place because of its Es Pisang Hijau. It's delicious...must try here. It's not too sweet. The price is Rp 25,000 and it's filling because the banana is big/thick. Place is not too big, with AC, clean and comfortable. Apparently...they won several awards as they put the certificates on the wall
Nana S — Google review
Tasty ice pisang ijo even it was too sweet for me. The white porridge taste really good made of some coconut milk create a unique taste between sweet and salty, the green skin from pisang ijo also taste good, with a bit of jelly texture completed with condensed milk and the secret red syrup. Best paired with jalangkote or in other area known as pastel. Made from crispy skin with a puff pastry like texture, filled with boiled egg, beansprouts, potato, carrot and some rice noodle. Taste a bit sweet, salty and to balance it you have to eat with the spicy sauce served there

The menu primarily features Nasi Kuning, a fragrant yellow rice dish available in small or large servings with the option to add egg. Each plate comes complete with a variety of accompaniments such as pumpkin and jackfruit vegetables, beef floss, fried lung, beef empal, potato crisps, crackers, and sambal.
Food was great!! The rice is very fragrant, the big portion is quite big. Come early if you can, to avoid queue.

Very special "nasi kuning" dishes from Makassar. The chili sauce is very special with a very high level of spiciness.
Abun G — Google review
The Nasi Kuning taste is standard, less fragrant spices, and the taste is really standard. The special things in the nasi kuning is the topping, you’ll get the beef, beef floss, egg, sliced potato crackers, etc. located in the snack store, limited seating area. They will ask you, small or big portion, the small portion is not small for me, it’s kinda big.
Fajar F — Google review
I really disappointed order half portion vegatarian only egg, little bit abon and yellow rice with krupuk. Without Meat, empal or others. But they so arogant forced me to paid full price Rp 47.000 IDR. Ambiante so bad and unfriendly, like Robber restaurant. Don't wasted or give donation to this arogant restaurant.
Eri M — Google review
Set Nasi Kuning (yellow rice) with egg, beef floss, beef, and paru (lung), and keripik. They have two opention big portion and small portion. The portion on the picture is small (or roughly about half plate) which more than enough for one person. Price for a small portion is about Rp. 48.000. Famous place for a breakie. Try this place if you like yellow rice.

The nasi kuning itself was alright however the es kopi susu costed me 30K!!!

The best breakfast choice in town! Yellow rice with egg, beef, fried liver, shredded beef and the best sambal! You can order 1 plate or half. Mine in the pic is half. You better ask to remove some sides that you won't be eating so it wouldn't go to waste.

Stephen in the restaurant deserves a huge shout-out. His service was absolutely exceptional-he genuinely went the extra mile. When our food arrived, the keropok was already soft, and before we even had a chance to say anything, Stephen automatically brought us a fresh, new one. This was just one of the many things he had done. That level of being proactive and attentive is just amazing. He was always right there when we needed him, super focused on our table and our needs. Honestly, it was the best service I think I've ever received anywhere. He's a total star and absolutely deserves a promotion!

Booked a room for around about 640k a night. It was clean but the bathroom had a shower door that was hanging on the last screw. Also the mirror frame had some moisture issues. The bed was really good, the best I've had so far from all the hotels around Makassar! The swimming pool floor had seen some better days. The pool itself was clean but had some missing tiles. Around the pool was pretty bare not much to do. You could walk inside a hallway from the pool floor. And then it was like you're urban exploring your hotel 😅

This hotel have been a home for the last couple of week. I would like to say thanks especially to House Keeping and the Team at the Restaurant for giving us an excellent services. All the food and beverages served for me everyday were great.

All marketing words are perfectly described as marketing magic words on aTV Channel Hotel Info, but there are some things that are conveyed starting from the Chef and other teams that do not reflect what I see, feel about many things: I do not see any touch of Art starting from the Hotel entrance, Lobby, Surrounding, Corridor, Lifts, nice and green garden, Room Amenities are very cheap, there are no bath-math, the bathroom floor is very slippery, no face / hand-towels, the water kettle lid is broken, there are only 2 bottles of water in plastic packaging too! The washbasin tap is loose and very annoying, there is a part of the washbasin table that is peeled off because it is made of plywood, there is a painting on the hardboard that is very irrelevant, I was only in this hotel for a few moments but I found many things that are not ON BRAND! The Lobby area is very dry, the selection of FF&E is totally not correct, the pillars is away too much and this is hard building nothing much you can’t do. I believe, the water picture is there but I didn’t see any water flow! I am really speechless about the Brand images of Four Point By Sheraton here in Makasar. The FO staff went we were check- in is able to recognized our reservation. bellboys delivered our languages right after we were arrived in the room. The rest of service culture I didn’t experience at all.

During breakfast, I was greeted and assisted by Ms. Aulia, who recommended trying the barista blend coffee—and I loved it. The food here is also delicious with plenty of options. Very hot because AC only can be set on 23-24 degree celcius, and can't be lowered, while Makassar is very hot recently. The only hotel in Marriott group that I had stayed that set this ridicolous rule

Only 3 of 6 elevator that functional, while one of it cant go to Basement. I have to wait around 20 minutes just to go to lobby (the elevator always full form other floor). No other access. A Humble eating place and friendly service. A local “Pangkep” cuisine. Have their “Sop Saudara” (Brotherly Soup☺️) over 20s years ago and it feels the same.

I ate two bowls of soup and two plates of rice 🤣. Big chunks, can get options from organs or meat only. Get it with salted egg and mix it with chili sauce and lime and it will be perfect. Note that sop saudara is soup with glass noodle, which is different than coto / pallubasa Lots of parking available, however it is located in market area which is bad in traffic. The restaurant itself is really hot and does not have any AC.

Coto Nusantara is a renowned coto eatery located in the district of Makassar, frequented by locals and even celebrities for its delicious offerings. The restaurant's specialty includes ketupat rice dumplings wrapped in palm leaf and a flavorful iced tea. It is known for serving high-quality beef and innards with ample fried onion and leek slices. Situated close to Losari Beach, it's an ideal spot for tourists looking to satisfy their hunger.
This was my first time visiting Coto Nusantara, but as soon as I arrived, I could tell it’s a legendary spot in Makassar, especially for Coto. The Coto tasted absolutely perfect, the herbs and spices were spot on. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. I already can’t wait to visit Makassar again just to have this Coto! Highly recommend this place if you’re in town and want to try authentic Makassar cuisine.

Serves a classic, authentic taste of Coto Makassar. The broth is light yet rich in spices, making every spoonful warm and flavorful. Generous portions of meat and offal are perfectly paired with soft, chewy ketupat. The place is clean, service is fast, and the location is very strategic. One word: unmissable!

As a born and bred here in Makassar, this is the first time I tried this super famous cotto in town after 30+ years of my life. Lol. I must say, a bit disappointed. More like I expect them to be the best but turned out I've tasted better. In other town. But yeah, they definitely good.

The Coto Makassar is delicious, and the side dishes are great too. My favorite is the orange juice. The only downside is that the place is quite small, so you might have to wait or share a table with strangers

The must visit coto if you come to Makassar. There are many coto sellers in Makassar, but this one is the most famous. I do believe there are other better coto, but we came for the great review. The soup is very well seasoned and cooked. Thick with beef stock. The culture here is to add salt on table so don’t be surprise if the soup taste rather bland when arrive on your table. Other than adding salt, you might wanna add lime juice and a bit of sambal Olin you like chili. The meat served generously and very soft. I did not order ouval so I can’t give any review on that. Coto is best eat with buras (rice cake). The rice cake is also taste good. This place is always crowded but you will be served fast. Don’t hang out too long after you finish eating, be mindful for those queuing. The price is reasonable and you will need to mention the number of buras/crackers you eat to the cashier.
Mei B — Google review
You cannot only order one bowl. Trust me. The soup is delicious, the meat is tender. Mixture of sour, salty, umami, meaty broth in one bowl. Dont forget to add buras (rice cake cook on banana leaf) and some chili and lime.
Welly B — Google review
Beef stew type local cuisine. This place is popular among the local with celebrity photos that visited the shop b plastered all over the wall. You need to add garnish in the soup of fried onions, salt, lime, local chili and eat with the ketupat(local rice cake). Choices of part of beef put in the stew. The environment is hot and can't sit for long. Taste is okay if you like beef.

McDonald's is a well-established fast-food chain famous for its classic burgers and fries. The Daya location offers a spacious parking area and convenient drive-thru service, making it an ideal spot for quick meals. While the restaurant itself may be on the smaller side, it provides a cozy atmosphere for hanging out with friends. Customers appreciate the 24/7 availability of their favorite fast food, although some suggest implementing self-service ordering to reduce wait times.
love this place always, McDonald's Daya one of the best drive thru locations from McD, wide parking area, and not too crowded.. always has promo from McD and partner
Syamsul A — Google review
McDonald’s Makassar delivers what most customers expect: reliable, familiar fast food in a clean, air-conditioned setting. The location is fairly central and easy to access, making it a convenient stop whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or lingering a bit longer with friends or family. The staff are generally polite and efficient, though service can be a bit slow during peak hours. Orders are usually accurate, but even the sun has it’s spots;) Food-wise, it’s what you’d expect from McDonald’s globally—classic fries, crispy chicken, and burgers that taste nearly identical to any other franchise. That said, local menu items like the ayam spicy or rice sets add a nice Makassar-specific twist and are worth trying. Beverages and desserts, especially the McFlurry, are usually spot on. Free refill of hot coffee - I love that! The dining area is decently maintained, though seating can be limited due to crowd hours Today there were kids, svreaming line crazy all over tve rest, no staff said nothing and it kept foing on all the time.

Didn't look like much from the outside. I thought they only serve takeouts, but, I was wrong. The inside is very spacious, 2-story building, with smoking area on the outside. The service was great, they all are very helpful, even when something went wrong on the machine, they quickly have a solution for it (it was cashless payment issue that happened that day, in case you're wondering).

This is the best place for having breakfast around Hertasning street Although it is located on an Alley, but it had been famous enough It served a lot of menu for breakfast, either it main course, Snack, dessert, and coffee too. They serve online delivery too Although it is a little bit pricey, but it proper enough compared to foods They served coffee and snacks if you don't want to eat, but just for having coffee The place provide room with Air conditioner too This place is one of the best place for having breakfast around Hertasning street

A typical breakfast place with their signature bubur ayam (chicken porridge) menu. This place has both spaces, with and without air conditioner. Besides bubur ayam, they also serve another menu, such as ketupat sayur, gado-gado, nasi kuning rawon, soto banjar, pecel. Here are what I tried : Bubur Ayam (IDR 15,000) + Telur (IDR 3,000) + Sate Hati (IDR 4,000) A bowl of plentiful porridge with shredded steamed chicken, cakwe, fried onions, green onions, along with the crackers. Add more the porridge seasoning for more savoury taste. If you like spicy, don't forget to add the chilli as well. Nasi Kuning Rawon (IDR 23,000) Yellow rice served with chicken floss, orek tempe, kering kentang, egg, crackers, along with beef rawon that has a good taste.
Feliciana X — Google review
Was worried I dont bring enough money when I visited this place back then. To answer your "why", the place is clean and tidy, it has good air flow, not mentioning they also have air conditioned room as well, the food is good also plus they put, at that time, good pick of songs (they are evergreen songs btw). To me, you dont get that mix in a place that put reasonably price tag on their products.... I think its enough to share my first experience spending my time here. Bottomline.. Good food meets with great music.. Comforting to the soul.. I hope they put some good songs also while you guys spend your time there also so you might get my perspective seamlessly. Cheers
Jo S — Google review
Great porridge and gado2. There are also some other menus but I haven't tried them all. This place is family-owned; run by the children who's are there everyday, and founded by the parents whom bought the place and cooks the entire menu. The family have mixed Sundanese & Pare-pare (Buginese) background, and it is reflected in the taste of their meals. Parking can be sparse but if you go there quite often, there are other spots around the complex to park during the day but you do need to be careful because those spots are a bit hidden. Yes there's parking attendant recently but you don't need to worry about them; they're kind enough and well meaning. I mean, people need to feed themselves too.

Located inside the Mercedes-Benz Kumala. The place is too dark for me, but okay, it relaxes me. Dark room is good for your mental health (: Coffee was great. Hot choc was overly sweet. Really nice place, great atmosphere for both chillin’ or working. Food & beverages’ price lil bit high, but you’re paying mostly for the quality of the place. Putriannajihah 2 — Google review
(Translated by Google) The mainstay here is palekko but first try the balado egg, it tastes sweet when chewed at the beginning for those who like spicy food you have to add chili sauce to make it spicy, the rice is tasty but a bit wet, the addition of noodles doesn't suit my taste, good suggestion is to replace it with scrambled or stir-fried vegetables, you can also add an omelette to the menu, those who want to eat together here find it difficult because the place is small and connected to the road (Original) andalannya disini palekko tapi pertama coba telur balado, terasa manis saat kunyahan di awal untuk penyuka pedis harus tambah sambal lomboknya biar terasa pedas, nasinya gurih tapi agak basah, penambahan mie untuk seleraku tidak cocok saran bagus diganti orek atau tumis sayur boleh juga tambah menunya telur dadar, yang mau makan rame-rame disini susah karena tempat kecil dan bersambung dengan jalan

One of the household names for Makassar style Chinese food that has been open for many years. We tried their three famous dishes - fried meatballs, fried rice with the signature red sauce and crispy fried noodles in special sauce. Highly recommend all three of them although they are big in portion! Especially when it is paired with their chilli sauce with a hint of sour/tanginess that keeps it fresh. They have seatings at the front of the shop lot with only fans and more indoor seatings toward the back that is in an air conditioned room. Food - 9 Service - 7 Vibe - 5 Price - $$

One of the best family diner experience I had in Makassar. The food is not that expensive if you eat with other people, ordering the biggest menu they have. The food in this restaurant has the delicious kick compared to what I usually have (ordering the same menu) in Jakarta. Definitely a must try when you visit Makassar. I would recommend what I had here (all with the sweet red pork) and also the pork meatballs they had. The pork meatballs are really crunchy on the outside while being soft and warm on the inside. You can pay cashless with gopay. Their staffs were very responsive, and kind. They were helping my father with wheelchair so that we can access non-smoking room.

Chinese restaurant
If you have a preference for bapao or pao, I recommend visiting Kios Lompobattang, a steamed bun shop. However, please note that this place does not provide seating arrangements. They offer various options for fillings, including pork. It is important to mention that this stall exclusively sells non-halal bakpao (steamed buns).
Nonhalal restaurant. They serve noodle, fried rice etc with pork. And soya too.

Decent food but way overpriced with very small quantities. Service and ambiance are non existent.

The most popular Bakpao (chinese steamed bread) in town. A non halal food. I guess they only serve take away meals since theres no table for dine in. Also selling others chinese cuisine such as tofu milk, ba'chan and siomay. Open from 08 AM till 10 PM.
Sam J — Google review
This stall only sells non-halal pao (bakpao). We ordered 1 pork bun (18k). The bread dough was more fluffy, but the pork meat inside was not as much and less savory compared to its competitor and neighbor, who also sells bakpao.

One of the best bakpao I ever tried. The bun is really soft. Try out the cheese + chocolate filling and if you like something sweet.

The best pork steamed buns in Makassar. They have a lot of flavors such as, pork, cheese, chocolate, and mung bean. My favorites would be pork, mung bean, and cheese. These steamed buns have quite a recognition among tourists and locals. :)

Super tasty bakpao. I tried 2 varians, casiu and ori pork. Both taste amazing and also reasonable price. Next time gonna try their siumay. Definetly come back.

If you like to eat bapao or pao, i recommend you to buy bapao or pao at this place. You can not enjoy bapao or pao at this place because they don't put chair or table. They provide bapao or pao with some choices of filling, one of it is pork filling bapao or pao.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful Korean dining experience, look no further than Miss Heo. Nestled conveniently in town with ample parking, this relaxed restaurant boasts a spacious and inviting atmosphere perfect for enjoying meals with friends or family. With tabletop grills at your disposal, you can savor traditional Korean dishes alongside an array of snacks and desserts. At Miss Heo, the staff is exceptionally welcoming and fluent in English, making ordering a breeze.
Ordered this through food delivery apps. For that price range, the food tastes great and portion is huge. Quite authentic for “korean resto”. It’s warm and comforting kinda food.

Another nice "halal" Korean Restaurant in Makassar. I miss the tenderness of Pork that should be inside my Jjajangmyeon 🤪 But overall they served very well, I especially love the Jeong with seafood - that's my Go-To meal each time I come here 😌 The Mangdu is enormous 😍 and the Chicken Strip Roll was very nice, my daughter loves it 🩷 We got 20% discount from Grab so that makes this dining pretty much affordable 😊

안녕하세요 Annyeonghaseyo If ever you are craving for Korean taste and experience this place is probably the best go-to in town. The place is located strategically in the town, with excellent parking space. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, spacey and comfortable. At the time of writing, there are various specials being offered, all-you-can-eat, pay-2-for-3 and such. The taste is good, but to be honest, not the best Korean food I have tried. Their Sundubu jjigae tastes great, and so does their Kimchijeon. Their Bibimbap is quite ordinary, but not to say it is bad though. The service. Now, this is interesting, since I got mixture of experience. The lady serving us is just beyond excellent. She is helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. The other man, however, is somewhat disappointing. Have asked for refill of Kimchi twice, only to be ignored completely. Then went to ask for some tissue only to find the same treatment. Again, in the end, the lady came as our heroine! All in all, good taste of Korean. Alas, not memorable, some due to the taste, some probably due to the service. Very decently priced! Having said that, I wouldn't mind for revisit. (Note to self, bring some tissue 🤣).

The staff made us feel so comfortable right from the beginning. They could speak English which helped us with the order, and they were so nice and friendly. Side dishes were brought to us, and they were very good. Meals came out quickly. We were surprised by the size of the portions when the food came out, as they are quite big. The food was absolutely amazing! Prices are a bit high but for the quantity and quality of the food, I consider it to be fair. I would definitely recommend this place for somebody who wants to try Korean food as they offer a diversity of choice.

Bad experience. Not worth to try. Delayed for > 1 hour in gojek apps with "only 1 chef that make the food" reason. Doesn't make any sense. Please do not open restaurant if you don't have any capability to do it.

Pizza Ria Kafe is a charming eatery that specializes in a delightful array of Italian cuisine, including pizza, pasta, steak, desserts, and snacks. While the decor may feel a bit dated and could use some rearranging to enhance the atmosphere, the food remains delicious and comparable to other popular pizza franchises. Families will appreciate the friendly staff who are particularly welcoming to children.
The taste of pizza is unique and the place is cozy. It's not very crowded here, like this place.

Pizza was good for indonesian standards, the dough was good however the topping lacked flavour (no herbs or sauce). The lasagne was discusting. Neither myself or my partner could eat it. Far too much meat and no tomato based sauce or any sauce to give it some moisture. It didnt taste anything like lasagne, just wrong. Wouldn't return here.

Tanamera Coffee in Makassar is a must-visit for coffee enthusiasts and food lovers alike. This charming café stands out with its expertly roasted Indonesian coffee, offering a variety of brewing methods like V60 to cater to different tastes. The baristas here are impressively skilled and efficient, ensuring you receive your drink promptly while showcasing their extensive knowledge of coffee beans, including options from Aceh Gayo and Toraja Sapan.

DO NOT ORDER VIA GRAB FOOD. I cannot believe what was delivered to me. Literally, LITERALLY, four Spinich leaves 🍃 sold as a "Salad." If you're out of stock, take it off the Menu. Don't try to push something like this out of the kitchen. Absolute trash. Am undecided as to whether I am going in tomorrow to address this in person as I am on TRT 💪 and it could go very, very wrong...

If you are looking for a good coffee (and good food), you must try this place (instead of the Coffee Shop across this place). The coffee is definitely not watery, and they roast Indonesian coffee. You can even ask for different methods of brewing such as V60, etc, ask for different beans (today they have Aceh Gayo and Toraja Sapan). The baristas are, somewhat, much professional than other baristas in other coffee shops. They move fast, very efficient, and it seems they know their coffees. Having said that, they maintain decent politeness and friendliness to their customers. It is not the cheapest place in town for sure, but then again, good coffees come at premium price, mate. And it's worth it!

I'm living for a years in Bali, and came for holidays back to my hometown in Makassar every December . Had plan to meet up with my fellas, and we thought this place will be good for us to spend our quality time and also want to know more as this place was new open. The property was good, that's all. The service was terrible and very bad. They made mistake for our food order, Exp: We order 2 hot chocolate but they bring only 1, and my friends who came first to this place had order for Pizza but until I came (almost 45 minutes) we realized they didn't bring the pizza yet so we asked but they asking back to us if we have order or not, so terrible. We cancelled the order. We have to wait too long for the orders and they didn't made any apologize to the customers and looks they very busy so they did'n want to come to us when we need something by pushing the Help button. Help button on the desk is useless. Not recommended place. You guys should maintain your staff manner, and should train them how to giving an excellent service specially in F&B division. If it's not I can imagine, this place will not exist for longer.

Walking Drums Makassar offers a unique concept for a cafe in the city. Their aglio olio and pastry-based pizza are particularly noteworthy, providing a distinct culinary experience. The indoor and outdoor seating options cater to different preferences, with the outdoor area being more enjoyable in the evening due to Makassar's hot climate. The spacious cafe is ideal for casual gatherings or meetings, with clean facilities including restrooms and a prayer room available.
Remember that it's an outdoor cafe, they only spare 10% space for indoor whereas the cashier/order place is. Price is averaged. The service is good, in fact really good. Coffee is fine just like the other coffee shops. Unique concept but I can't think of how they'll manage the cafe in rainy/ hot season.

Not the best, for the food. Almost half of the menu were not available. Even to a simple dish like salad, cmon?! The pizza is weird square shape and almost taste like croissant mix to crackers. The only compliment is for the vanilla tea selection from my daughter. If you come just to hang out with friendd and have some coffees I think its OK, but not when you expect to get nice meal. Good thing is the cafe concept with 2 stories with giant stairs, a perfect place to take some photos.

The ambience and vibes of this place is really good to hangout with your special one or even with your friends. But, the price rate and the taste of the food and drink here is not really worthy. We ordered Hot Caramel Macchiato, Hot Chocolate, and Red Velvet Cake. First, our Hot Caramel Macchiato is not hot as common Hot Caramel Macchiato. Second, the chocolate powder that they use is the cheap one, beacuse it tastes like a cheap powder, it was Nestle Alegria or Delfi Chocolate maybe. The last is the cake, it was not really worth between the price and the taste. Unfortunately, I just wanna say, this is probaly my first time and the last time ever. Not worth for the second visit. And, you have to prepare Rp. 3.000 for motorbike parking fee, so maybe it will be Rp. 5.000 for car.

It's my kind of paradise as LA.KU serves various sweet and savory pastries, cakes, as well as the coffee and non coffee drinks. I've been here for both activities, which were hanging out and WFC. The indoor area isn't that big. It's mostly crowded during the weekdays and weekends. So, we could say that we were lucky enough to get the indoor spot there! Their internet connection was good as well. We tried their cake, croissant, and coffee. All of them came up with good presentation and taste. Their Amercano is quite strong, and will keep you awake. If you're in Makassar and on the hunt for a delightful morning coffee experience, look no further than Hai HONG. This charming spot not only serves up exceptional brews but also welcomes you with open arms. It's an ideal place to indulge in local snacks, featuring a tempting array of small cakes and savory treats that will tantalize your taste buds. Conveniently located along a major road with ample parking, it offers great value for money.
If you expect a truly good morning coffee, served with a warm welcome, then LOOK NO FURTHER. Visitors to Makassar, this is definitely a good place to sample local snacks as they offer variety of small cakes, savouries, etc. Located strategically on the big road with relatively easy parking, decently priced. The highlight (and the most memorable) part of this coffee shop is definitely the SERVICE. I notice the owner and the entire family work together with their staff to deliver that legendary customer service. Well done, Hai Hong Pelita! Keep up the good work.
Christian G — Google review
UPDATE 06/08/2022: DOWNGRADING to two-star. Burnt-coffee, almost-raw eggs, very-dry and tasteless yellow rice. It was very crowded though, and the service was, while friendly, the staff appeared confused. It's been quite similar experience on a number of recent visits too. What a pity! It was one of my favourite traditional coffee shops in town, now I very reluctant to recommend others to visit. Let's see what happen on the next visit, if ever I manage to visit again. PREVIOUS REVIEW (may no longer valid): Sometimes the best thing to do to really understand about a place is to see how it wakes up. And that's where places like Hai Hong shine. Don't expect cafe-style service, La Marzocco machine, and English greetings here. Instead, you'll see what the locals do before they start their day. A strong coffee, Kaya toast and half-boiled egg, and also nasi kuning. Occasionally, friendly chat with people across your table, or even the owner! The service is fast, and efficient, the people who work there are friendly and energetic (exactly what you need to see in order to start your day!). Do try their Nasi Kuning. I can't say it is the most complete and delicious, but it is well-portioned, well-presented and the taste, somewhat, very "local" yet tasty. They also provide some locally sourced snacks. Equally important, they are very very decent priced. Now, bear in mind that people do smoke here (then again, if you want a true glimpse of the locals, there you go), but the place is well-ventilated, so you should be able to survive. All in all, if you happen to be a tourist, and would like to experience the real "local" atmosphere, skip Starbucks and head to Hai Hong instead.

You can see the activity in the Container terminal and "enjoy" the noisy sound as well..If you want to taste some Makassar delicacy such as "Fish head curry or soup" but okay with the noisy around you, so this is a place for you. Of course the cafe is not an option in a rainy day or in a very hot weather..

The service is a bit long though the waiter did try his best to accomodate. I ordered Otak-otak which is so-so and the coconut water within coconut shell. So 7 Otak-otak and coconut water are charged IDR 88.000. So far the price of food and drink I still find reasonable but still... for what I got, I find it a bit expensive. The view is kind of disrupted by big machines (like cranes). Too bad most of Losari beach is covered with unnecessary buidings that blocked the view. The previous government and the realtor did their best in blocking the beautiful view of the beach. The only thing we can see is water with those hideous buildings that are built on top of the water. This cafe could benefit with a view if it's not there must be some giant machines or ship block the view.

Service was very friendly and efficient. The food, my order was kwayteo, was tasty but sadly lacking in anything resembling a vegetable. Unfortunately I found their coffee not to my taste at all.
Brian B — Google review
Serve many kinds of food especially noodle and rice. But the air conditioner not cold enough because this place big enough.
Yuvita A — Google review
Service was slow. And annoyingly tardy. But the food is decent. New taste and different. The place, even packed, is surprisingly spacious.

(Translated by Google) The cafe is good. Quiet and comfortable. Nice to hang out in the morning while enjoying the morning package. Milk coffee + toast + half boiled egg. Cheap. The package is only IDR 25,000. The location is in the office center on Jalan Ratulangi but far from the main road so you can't feel the traffic noise. Overall. This delicious coffee cafe is recommended as a place to hang out. (Original) Cafenya bagus. Tenang Dan nyaman. Enak untuk nongkrong pagi sambil nikmati paket pagi nya. Kopi susu + roti bakar + telur setengah matang. Murah. Sepaket hanya Rp 25.000. Lokasinya di pusat perkantoran jalan ratulangi tapi jauh dari jalan raya jadi hiruk pikuk Lalu lintas tidak terasa. Overall. Cafe kopi nikmat ini recommended untuk jadi tempat nongkrong.

(Translated by Google) The place is quiet, comfortable, the toilets are clean. When I came here, I thought Manado porridge was really delicious, the plain tea & mango juice were delicious too. It's just that the place is a bit inside. (Original) Tempat nya tenang, nyaman, toilet bersih. Pas kesini makan bubur manado enak bgt sih menurut saya, teh tawar & jus mangga nya enak jg. Cuma tempatnya agak masuk kedalam gitu.
