Arrive in makassar and directly went to this place. One of the most favorite local food destination. The taste is original but it’s too salty for me. The portion looked small but enough for me. The meat itself not so special as it comes from the local. But still it’s a must to try if you come to makassar.

Super popular among locals. Very rich and thick broth. A little bit too salty for my liking, but still hella delicious. Try it with egg, it tastes supper yummy! Servers were quick, but the cashier (a woman with acnes and hijab) were super rude and harsh. She threw my change money. Be nice with your customers, one day your attitude will bite you back. The place is a little bit cramped and hot.

A must-try place when you visit Makassar! My favorite is the Pallubasa campur (mixed meat and offal) without egg. The portion may look small, but it’s actually quite filling. Don’t forget to try the cashew nuts too — I usually buy some extra to enjoy later at the hotel 😄 If possible, try to avoid lunch hours, as it’s usually crowded and parking can be difficult.

Sunachi is a chinese restaurant that serves chinese cuisine, Suki Hotpot and also DimSum. The Dimsum's menu has a lot of options ranging from stream to quality. The ambience is very calm and the interior is very bright. The tables are big and suitable for large family dining and also they have VIP room for those who want private dining. The staffs were nice and helpful. The toilet is clean.

This place used to be on the top of my most frequently visit Suki restaurant list. Unfortunately, on my last visit, I experienced few unpleasant things. I remembered asking the table attendant to exclude 1 plate of a menu as I thought we had picked up many Suki plates yet they still charged it in the bill and none of us could remember whether we ate it or not. Also, I asked the price of beverage in a pitcher and the attendant just brought the beverage pitcher directly without telling me the price. Being a Suki lover plus I was with my family so I decided to just do the payment and left. If any of you wants to enjoy Suki here, just ensure the Suki plates they put in is in line with your order before eating. For price indication not put in the menu e.g beverage in pitcher, one may emphasize on it while ordering to avoid unwanted experience.

Nyuk nyang is good, it’s like a mixture of fried tofu & taopok. Quite chewy. Meatball is so so but the broth is flavourful.

The authentic bakso from Makassar that you really can’t find anywhere else, definitely a must-try when visiting the city. I ordered the Bakso Ati Raja mix, which came with bakso ati raja, boiled nyuknyang, and fried nyuknyang. The taste is consistently good and never changes over the years. I also tried their pisang ijo, but for me it was nothing special, I didn’t really enjoy the texture of the skin. Their jalangkote was not bad though. Service was fairly quick and the prices are worth it. However, I have to say that while most of the staff were okay, a few of them came across as a bit unfriendly. They also serve a takeaway package that you can bring home as a souvenir, which is a nice touch if you want to share the taste of Makassar with friends or family.

Ati Raja is a famous meatball restaurant in Makassar city. Since they receive so much love from the customers both locally and outside Makassar city, Ati Raja also provides the frozen meatball as a souvenir to bring back home. They also have many outlets in this city. This one that I visited was in Gunung Merapi street that has a large space with street parking outside. Musholla is also available. In this outlet, they also sell some snacks and syrup as the typical souvenir from Makassar. Besides meatball, Ati Raja provides the other menu as well. There are fried rice, noodles, kwetiaw, bihun, soto Banjar, otak-otak, and many more. I tried Bakso Ati Raja (IDR 30,000). A bowl of plentiful soft beef meatballs, beef muscle meatballs, nyuknyang in a clear broth with green onions. Served it with lime and if you like spicy, don't forget to add it! You could eat them together with rice or buras. I chose buras (rice cake).

Bad service, impolite waiter and waitress but i respect the one who stay at the cashier. I guess he was the boss. Even the boss could be that good person to us as a consument but why the staff can't ????????? For food taste good no wonder cause they were the famous one in Makassar.

Went here based on the recommendation from the locals (they said it'sa place for finding the best es pisang ijo. The jalangkote and lumpia are also recommended ones). Tried their specials: es pisang ijo, pallu butung, jalangkote, lumpia; and also the other menus: gado gado and lontong campur. Es pisang ijo was good enough, but we love pallu butung more👍. The sumsum tasted "sharp". The pisang ijo syrup was a little bit too sweet for us, even though the ice had melted. Luckily, on both menus, the bananas were tender and sweet enough; unlike what we've found in other places in Makassar. Gado gado tasted good 👍, but we didn't like the lontong campur (weird for us, maybe not suitable for our taste buds hahaha). The jalangkote and lumpia are also good enough. We personally like the lumpia better. The place was clean also 👌

Es Pisang Ijo is a must eat dessert in Makassar. The grab driver brought me to a resto named Muda Mudi, he said it has the best es pisang ijo in town and yes...!!! I like it very much. The green flour covering the banana is very nice and the syrup also nice... Must try..!!

Concurrently, the restaurant's staff exhibited limitations in their knowledge about the menu, struggling even with basic inquiries such as the volume of their bottled water. Notably, I've formed a habit of ordering Pisang Hijau to go as an ole-ole. The added convenience here is that the restaurant offers vacuum packing for this purpose, ensuring a seamless takeaway experience.

Went to this place because of its Es Pisang Hijau. It's delicious...must try here. It's not too sweet. The price is Rp 25,000 and it's filling because the banana is big/thick. Tasty ice pisang ijo even it was too sweet for me. The white porridge taste really good made of some coconut milk create a unique taste between sweet and salty, the green skin from pisang ijo also taste good, with a bit of jelly texture completed with condensed milk and the secret red syrup. Best paired with jalangkote or in other area known as pastel. Made from crispy skin with a puff pastry like texture, filled with boiled egg, beansprouts, potato, carrot and some rice noodle. Taste a bit sweet, salty and to balance it you have to eat with the spicy sauce served there

Very special "nasi kuning" dishes from Makassar. The chili sauce is very special with a very high level of spiciness.

The Nasi Kuning taste is standard, less fragrant spices, and the taste is really standard. The special things in the nasi kuning is the topping, you’ll get the beef, beef floss, egg, sliced potato crackers, etc. located in the snack store, limited seating area. They will ask you, small or big portion, the small portion is not small for me, it’s kinda big.

I really disappointed order half portion vegatarian only egg, little bit abon and yellow rice with krupuk. Without Meat, empal or others. But they so arogant forced me to paid full price Rp 47.000 IDR. Ambiante so bad and unfriendly, like Robber restaurant. Don't wasted or give donation to this arogant restaurant.

The portion on the picture is small (or roughly about half plate) which more than enough for one person. Price for a small portion is about Rp. 48.000. Famous place for a breakie. Try this place if you like yellow rice.

The best breakfast choice in town! Yellow rice with egg, beef, fried liver, shredded beef and the best sambal! You can order 1 plate or half. Mine in the pic is half. You better ask to remove some sides that you won't be eating so it wouldn't go to waste.

Booked a room for around about 640k a night. It was clean but the bathroom had a shower door that was hanging on the last screw. Also the mirror frame had some moisture issues. The bed was really good, the best I've had so far from all the hotels around Makassar! The swimming pool floor had seen some better days. The pool itself was clean but had some missing tiles. Around the pool was pretty bare not much to do. You could walk inside a hallway from the pool floor. And then it was like you're urban exploring your hotel 😅

This hotel have been a home for the last couple of week. I would like to say thanks especially to House Keeping and the Team at the Restaurant for giving us an excellent services. All the food and beverages served for me everyday were great.

All marketing words are perfectly described as marketing magic words on aTV Channel Hotel Info, but there are some things that are conveyed starting from the Chef and other teams that do not reflect what I see, feel about many things: I do not see any touch of Art starting from the Hotel entrance, Lobby, Surrounding, Corridor, Lifts, nice and green garden, Room Amenities are very cheap, there are no bath-math, the bathroom floor is very slippery, no face / hand-towels, the water kettle lid is broken, there are only 2 bottles of water in plastic packaging too! The washbasin tap is loose and very annoying, there is a part of the washbasin table that is peeled off because it is made of plywood, there is a painting on the hardboard that is very irrelevant, I was only in this hotel for a few moments but I found many things that are not ON BRAND! The Lobby area is very dry, the selection of FF&E is totally not correct, the pillars is away too much and this is hard building nothing much you can’t do. I believe, the water picture is there but I didn’t see any water flow! I am really speechless about the Brand images of Four Point By Sheraton here in Makasar. The FO staff went we were check- in is able to recognized our reservation. bellboys delivered our languages right after we were arrived in the room. The rest of service culture I didn’t experience at all.

My stay at this hotel was truly exceptional! The service was extremely satisfying, and the staff were friendly and professional. I was very pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of the room. The room is very spacious and comfortable, and the staff at check-in were informative and friendly. During breakfast, I was greeted and assisted by Ms. Aulia, who recommended trying the barista blend coffee—and I loved it. The food here is also delicious with plenty of options. This hotel is definitely approved by me!

Very hot because AC only can be set on 23-24 degree celcius, and can't be lowered, while Makassar is very hot recently. The only hotel in Marriott group that I had stayed that set this ridicolous rule

Only 3 of 6 elevator that functional, while one of it cant go to Basement. I have to wait around 20 minutes just to go to lobby (the elevator always full form other floor). No other access. Such a shame when the room is excellent, but the access is crippled. And theres big brattle sound aroud the room, looks like a construction. Very annoying

Tastes great! One of the best dish I ever tasted so far. Would recommend adding lime to the Sop Saudara for more authentic taste.

A Humble eating place and friendly service. A local “Pangkep” cuisine. Have their “Sop Saudara” (Brotherly Soup☺️) over 20s years ago and it feels the same.

I ate two bowls of soup and two plates of rice 🤣. Big chunks, can get options from organs or meat only. Get it with salted egg and mix it with chili sauce and lime and it will be perfect. Note that sop saudara is soup with glass noodle, which is different than coto / pallubasa Lots of parking available, however it is located in market area which is bad in traffic. The restaurant itself is really hot and does not have any AC.

24 hours operating, easy to find, recommended to try sop sodara with affordable price (there is also sop konro). Best in town you can order meat, lidah or paru or even mix. Friendly staff. Quick serve time. Live music available (pengamen) that plays guitar. Affordable price (approx. 30K per portion).

As a born and bred here in Makassar, this is the first time I tried this super famous cotto in town after 30+ years of my life. Lol. I must say, a bit disappointed. More like I expect them to be the best but turned out I've tasted better. In other town. But yeah, they definitely good.

The must visit coto if you come to Makassar. There are many coto sellers in Makassar, but this one is the most famous. I do believe there are other better coto, but we came for the great review. The soup is very well seasoned and cooked. Thick with beef stock. The culture here is to add salt on table so don’t be surprise if the soup taste rather bland when arrive on your table. Other than adding salt, you might wanna add lime juice and a bit of sambal Olin you like chili. The meat served generously and very soft. I did not order ouval so I can’t give any review on that. Coto is best eat with buras (rice cake). The rice cake is also taste good. This place is always crowded but you will be served fast. Don’t hang out too long after you finish eating, be mindful for those queuing. The price is reasonable and you will need to mention the number of buras/crackers you eat to the cashier.

You cannot only order one bowl. Trust me. The soup is delicious, the meat is tender. Mixture of sour, salty, umami, meaty broth in one bowl. Dont forget to add buras (rice cake cook on banana leaf) and some chili and lime.

Beef stew type local cuisine. This place is popular among the local with celebrity photos that visited the shop b plastered all over the wall. You need to add garnish in the soup of fried onions, salt, lime, local chili and eat with the ketupat(local rice cake). Choices of part of beef put in the stew. The environment is hot and can't sit for long. Taste is okay if you like beef.

It took my food 49 minutes before it reached me. All customers after me where given their food before me. I had to go to the counter twice before they gave me my food. Overall bad experience. Not a recommended place for quick bite.

Cozy place but needs more air conditioning. It's spacious and good for working with laptop, too bad it doesn't provide internet connection. Restrooms are quite clean. There's praying room on the second floor. The menu is quite upscale but taste ordinarily.

Didn't look like much from the outside. I thought they only serve takeouts, but, I was wrong. The inside is very spacious, 2-story building, with smoking area on the outside. The service was great, they all are very helpful, even when something went wrong on the machine, they quickly have a solution for it (it was cashless payment issue that happened that day, in case you're wondering).

Cleanliness is very good, conditions are a little crowded but all is fine. Get a promo from the Mcd application, it will be cheaper. Food quality is maintained, good. Nice to hang out with friends and family

Currently being my most visited McD. The place is quiet clean and comfortable, the staffs are also friendly. The greatest thing is it has self ordering machine too and have various payment option (cash /cashless). But always double check on your order and what the waiter give to you, they sometimes miss some things. 😅

McD has covid protocol the best so far. Different doors for going in and out. Body temperature checked. Cashless payment. I usually use BRIMo or Bank BRI debit mastercard because the Bank always has promo. Dine in only available from 7 to 21.

A typical breakfast place with their signature bubur ayam (chicken porridge) menu. This place has both spaces, with and without air conditioner. Besides bubur ayam, they also serve another menu, such as ketupat sayur, gado-gado, nasi kuning rawon, soto banjar, pecel. Here are what I tried : Bubur Ayam (IDR 15,000) + Telur (IDR 3,000) + Sate Hati (IDR 4,000) A bowl of plentiful porridge with shredded steamed chicken, cakwe, fried onions, green onions, along with the crackers. Add more the porridge seasoning for more savoury taste. If you like spicy, don't forget to add the chilli as well. Nasi Kuning Rawon (IDR 23,000) Yellow rice served with chicken floss, orek tempe, kering kentang, egg, crackers, along with beef rawon that has a good taste.

Was worried I dont bring enough money when I visited this place back then. To answer your "why", the place is clean and tidy, it has good air flow, not mentioning they also have air conditioned room as well, the food is good also plus they put, at that time, good pick of songs (they are evergreen songs btw). To me, you dont get that mix in a place that put reasonably price tag on their products.... I think its enough to share my first experience spending my time here. Bottomline.. Good food meets with great music.. Comforting to the soul.. I hope they put some good songs also while you guys spend your time there also so you might get my perspective seamlessly. Cheers

Great porridge and gado2. There are also some other menus but I haven't tried them all. This place is family-owned; run by the children who's are there everyday, and founded by the parents whom bought the place and cooks the entire menu. The family have mixed Sundanese & Pare-pare (Buginese) background, and it is reflected in the taste of their meals. Parking can be sparse but if you go there quite often, there are other spots around the complex to park during the day but you do need to be careful because those spots are a bit hidden. Yes there's parking attendant recently but you don't need to worry about them; they're kind enough and well meaning. I mean, people need to feed themselves too.

Urgently needed more improvements on the cleanliness of the toilet as well as the praying space. I can even find a lot of cats droppings next to the praying space. The praying rug needs a proper attention, it is basically just a used cartons. A coffee place is supposed to be a hygiene space.

Found the service was lacking. Two of your male staffs were making my team and I felt uncomfortable during our about-4-hour-meeting. You guys need to pay extra attention to the restroom too. It's quite dirty. Food's great as always.

So Hard to find proper Coffee Shop in Makassar with good hospitality and menu. This Coffee Shop located in front of Pettarani Street near from bussiness and residence area so it was easy to get. Have a more space for parking.

This place is awesome! My friend told me about this place because of the great cozy place and he was absolutely right. It’s so comfortable like home and the music is so calming. The place is also good for those who like to sit and work or meeting with someone else while sipping some specialty chocolate and coffee. The cappuccino was a little bit watery but very flavorful. The piccolo was great!

A very nice coffee place. The coffee taste good, I ordered Kopi Susu Secang and it was nice. They also have pastries and donuts, and vegan mini pizza. Been to this place twice in a row. So far, love the coffees! All of beverages i've had so far have met all of my expectations. It is clean, cozy, and quite...possibly one of my favorite place to read or to have personal conversations.

Just opened in the last week but the owners have got the vibe and food and environment down right. Bright and airy space to work with really good music playing (not loud enough to disturb) and comfortable tables and chairs for those needing to spend the day on their laptops. Wifi available. Can get loud in the afternoon if instagram tourists come through. Food is fantastic as owner is clean eating caterer... Seriously authentic croissants, homemade sesame salad dressing and tasty Japanese inspired rice bowls. Also offers chia bowls! Thoughtfully selected tea, coffee and ice chocolate ... Will appeal to foodies looking to explore local and global tastes. Also good selection of English novels and magazines available to read in shop.

One of our favourite place to enjoy (non-halal) traditional chinese food. We ordered ayam tanpa tulang mentega (64 K), mie goreng kwantong (55 K), nasi goreng lombok (55 K), and cincau soya (28 K) excl. tax. The food was great 👍 and also satisfying. The nasi goreng was a little bit spicy (there was small slices of chilli there). The cincau soya tasted unique for our taste buds. Place was cleaned enough, but a little bit too small.

One of the household names for Makassar style Chinese food that has been open for many years. We tried their three famous dishes - fried meatballs, fried rice with the signature red sauce and crispy fried noodles in special sauce. One of the best family diner experience I had in Makassar. The food is not that expensive if you eat with other people, ordering the biggest menu they have. The food in this restaurant has the delicious kick compared to what I usually have (ordering the same menu) in Jakarta. Definitely a must try when you visit Makassar. I would recommend what I had here (all with the sweet red pork) and also the pork meatballs they had. The pork meatballs are really crunchy on the outside while being soft and warm on the inside. One of the best chinese food in town 😍😉. The taste was very good. We had Mie Hokkian, Mie Kanton, and Lombok Fried Rice. All in large portion (enough for 2 person). They have 2 kind of room, smoking and non-smoking room. Non-smoking room is a room with air conditioner. They have large room (room with AC), it's good for formal and non formal meeting. You can pay cashless with gopay. Their staffs were very responsive, and kind. They were helping my father with wheelchair so that we can access non-smoking room.

This stall only sells non-halal pao (bakpao). We ordered 1 pork bun (18k). The bread dough was more fluffy, but the pork meat inside was not as much and less savory compared to its competitor and neighbor, who also sells bakpao.

I miss the tenderness of Pork that should be inside my Jjajangmyeon 🤪 But overall they served very well, I especially love the Jeong with seafood - that's my Go-To meal each time I come here 😌 The Mangdu is enormous 😍 and the Chicken Strip Roll was very nice, my daughter loves it 🩷 We got 20% discount from Grab so that makes this dining pretty much affordable 😊

The place is located strategically in the town, with excellent parking space. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, spacey and comfortable. At the time of writing, there are various specials being offered, all-you-can-eat, pay-2-for-3 and such. The taste is good, but to be honest, not the best Korean food I have tried. Their Sundubu jjigae tastes great, and so does their Kimchijeon. Their Bibimbap is quite ordinary, but not to say it is bad though. The service. Now, this is interesting, since I got mixture of experience. The lady serving us is just beyond excellent. She is helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. The other man, however, is somewhat disappointing. Have asked for refill of Kimchi twice, only to be ignored completely. Then went to ask for some tissue only to find the same treatment. Again, in the end, the lady came as our heroine! All in all, good taste of Korean. Alas, not memorable, some due to the taste, some probably due to the service. Very decently priced! Having said that, I wouldn't mind for revisit. (Note to self, bring some tissue 🤣).

Pizza was good for indonesian standards, the dough was good however the topping lacked flavour (no herbs or sauce). The lasagne was discusting. Neither myself or my partner could eat it. Far too much meat and no tomato based sauce or any sauce to give it some moisture. It didnt taste anything like lasagne, just wrong. Wouldn't return here.

If you are looking for a good coffee (and good food), you must try this place (instead of the Coffee Shop across this place). The coffee is definitely not watery, and they roast Indonesian coffee. You can even ask for different methods of brewing such as V60, etc, ask for different beans (today they have Aceh Gayo and Toraja Sapan). The baristas are, somewhat, much professional than other baristas in other coffee shops. They move fast, very efficient, and it seems they know their coffees. Having said that, they maintain decent politeness and friendliness to their customers. It is not the cheapest place in town for sure, but then again, good coffees come at premium price, mate. And it's worth it!

I'm living for a years in Bali, and came for holidays back to my hometown in Makassar every December . Had plan to meet up with my fellas, and we thought this place will be good for us to spend our quality time and also want to know more as this place was new open. The property was good, that's all. The service was terrible and very bad. They made mistake for our food order, Exp: We order 2 hot chocolate but they bring only 1, and my friends who came first to this place had order for Pizza but until I came (almost 45 minutes) we realized they didn't bring the pizza yet so we asked but they asking back to us if we have order or not, so terrible. We cancelled the order. We have to wait too long for the orders and they didn't made any apologize to the customers and looks they very busy so they did'n want to come to us when we need something by pushing the Help button. Help button on the desk is useless. Not recommended place. You guys should maintain your staff manner, and should train them how to giving an excellent service specially in F&B division. If it's not I can imagine, this place will not exist for longer.

Good thing is the cafe concept with 2 stories with giant stairs, a perfect place to take some photos.

A brunch and pastries spot in Popsa District with both of the indoor and outdoor areas. It's my kind of paradise as LA.KU serves various sweet and savory pastries, cakes, as well as the coffee and non coffee drinks. I've been here for both activities, which were hanging out and WFC. The indoor area isn't that big. It's mostly crowded during the weekdays and weekends. So, we could say that we were lucky enough to get the indoor spot there! Their internet connection was good as well. We tried their cake, croissant, and coffee. All of them came up with good presentation and taste. Their Amercano is quite strong, and will keep you awake. The croissant is flaky and less sweet.

PREVIOUS REVIEW (may no longer valid): Sometimes the best thing to do to really understand about a place is to see how it wakes up. And that's where places like Hai Hong shine. Don't expect cafe-style service, La Marzocco machine, and English greetings here. Instead, you'll see what the locals do before they start their day. A strong coffee, Kaya toast and half-boiled egg, and also nasi kuning. Occasionally, friendly chat with people across your table, or even the owner! The service is fast, and efficient, the people who work there are friendly and energetic (exactly what you need to see in order to start your day!). Do try their Nasi Kuning. I can't say it is the most complete and delicious, but it is well-portioned, well-presented and the taste, somewhat, very "local" yet tasty. They also provide some locally sourced snacks. Equally important, they are very very decent priced. Now, bear in mind that people do smoke here (then again, if you want a true glimpse of the locals, there you go), but the place is well-ventilated, so you should be able to survive. All in all, if you happen to be a tourist, and would like to experience the real "local" atmosphere, skip Starbucks and head to Hai Hong instead.

Located in the 5th floor of the building (don't worry they prepare elevator for you) you can enjoy the view of canal and Makassar Container Terminal....the food is tasty, yet the service need to be improved. You can see the activity in the Container terminal and "enjoy" the noisy sound as well..If you want to taste some Makassar delicacy such as "Fish head curry or soup" but okay with the noisy around you, so this is a place for you. Of course the cafe is not an option in a rainy day or in a very hot weather..

The service is a bit long though the waiter did try his best to accomodate. I ordered Otak-otak which is so-so and the coconut water within coconut shell. So 7 Otak-otak and coconut water are charged IDR 88.000. So far the price of food and drink I still find reasonable but still... for what I got, I find it a bit expensive. The view is kind of disrupted by big machines (like cranes). Too bad most of Losari beach is covered with unnecessary buidings that blocked the view. The previous government and the realtor did their best in blocking the beautiful view of the beach. The only thing we can see is water with those hideous buildings that are built on top of the water. This cafe could benefit with a view if it's not there must be some giant machines or ship block the view.

One of my go to restaurant in Makassar when it comes to escort my team or want to have some relax time while enjoying the busy port. Their famous fish head soup definitely will help to heal yourself from busy day. They also have clean bathroom which is plus point for me!

This is the branch of Ulu Juku Restaurant. It is located in downtown which makes people easier to grab Ulu Juku’s signature Gulai Kakap. However the food tasted a little bit different from it’s original, and the place is so quiet because of very small amount of people visit the place.
