The 50 best breakfast and brunch in Athens

Your average run of the mill breakfast place. Great for students on a budget. I guess. Food is fairly decent. Love the 80s music playlist. Still serving water in a plastic cup. Might be more environmentally friendly to use glassware. Ordered two eggs over easy Potatoes, patty and sourdough. You order with the lady upfront and then pick your place. Food came out pretty quick. Coffee was actually very tasty. Lots of parking space right around the corner.

Hostess was very kind. She gave great suggestions when I asked about the menu. They accommodated for my kids (extra coloring sheet, change in chair) very welcoming. Food was great. My kids ate it up as well. Wish got a coffee refill other than that no complaints. Ordered kids French toast, peach French toast plate, and avocado toast.(not pictured) Would come again.

We stayed overnight nearby and wanted a nice breakfast. We came to the right place. It was a little different to come in and order at the front but it works! All of us enjoyed our breakfast! The coffee was good too. The strawberry jam on the table tasted good on our toast.

We wanted something local and tasty. We stopped in and loved the small diner/cafe feel. Greeted with friendly staff. We ordered the pimento cheeseburger, the chicken salad sandwich with fruit and the kids french toast. Everyone gobbled it up. Delish. We will be back.

We were in Athens, Georgia a few weeks ago and stopped here for breakfast! Everything was delicious and the huge cinnamon roll was amazing! We felt a little foolish when we first came in bc we didn’t know how it worked- you order first, pay for it and then they seat you! Who knew?? Maybe you could have a sign out to tell us newbies how it works! The expectation is that you tip when you pay without even tasting the food! That’s a new one for me!😜😂 All the junk that is to the side of the restaurant could be easily cleaned up and put behind a fence! A little unsightly but the food was delicious! 😄

Mama’s Boy is a great breakfast brand. Their biscuits sandwich was authentic with various options. I liked their eggs the most. The biscuits and gravy tasted fantastic and authentic. Their service was amazing and WiFi was fast. Free spicy sauce and strawberry jam were provided.

Ok, I try to.ppst a pic, but I dove.in too fast! I had the "Truck Stop Biscuts and Gravy". It was outstanding. The wife had the "French Toast Platter". Both were excellent. Great flavor and they came.out fast. The staff were friendly and made sure my coffee cup stayed full. Highly recommend Mama's Boy Restaurant!

Wonderful cafe with tons of vegetarian options, living in a big city like Orlando I can hardly find so many options at good prices. Service was great and love that the place had that cozy breakfast nook vibe and had diverse staff

The food here is awesome. I love the homemade jam. Environment is a great casual breakfast spot. There is typically a long line on a Saturday and it doesn't go super quick. Make sure you have time available to wait through it.

This place was AMAZING! There was a little line, but it moved very quickly. We barely had a time to set down before our food was being brought to us. The French Toast is amazing, and it makes you want more. And if you're not an alcoholic drinker like me, get the Orange Creamescicle drink! The only problem with it was that there wasn't free refills! 😋 The outside dining area is amazing on a beautiful day. If you haven't tried this place, you must!

I visited Athens for the first time over the weekend of the 4th and Big City Bread was a treasure! I cannot write enough good things. The breakfast was amazing. Full stop. That bacon was cooked perfectly (it's the reason I came back for breakfast the next day). The biscuit is also that perfect southern biscuit texture. Plus, it's the size of your fist and oh so good. The staff is so attentive, friendly, and helpful. A true delight. The location! It's so nice and cozy, with a relaxing easy-going atmosphere. I also love the art on the walls, especially Jesse's pieces! Do not skip out on this place! And when you do go, treat yourself to a pecan pie bar if they have any. You'll thank me. I'm making it a point to come back for a non-brunch meal!

I have had brunch here several times and it never disappoints. Great food, especially the pastries and specialty lattes! Love grabbing an outside table. Parking is somewhat limited, but worth the walk if you have to.

Nice cozy place for brunch. Outside and inside seating available. Food was delicious. We loved the Old Bay Fried Potatoes, grits were creamy, eggs were cooked perfectly. Wasn’t a huge fan of the biscuit. BLT was fresh and flavorful.

We were visiting from out of town and the concierge at the hotel recommended Last Resort Grill. I can honestly say I can't think of a negative thing to say. Our waiter, Aaron, was beyond fabulous, we are pretty sure he was reading our minds. There wasn't a bite of food on the table we didn't enjoy. My partner ordered the hanger steak and it was spot on cooked to order. The desserts were off the chain! They don't take reservations because they are worth the wait. Just enjoy a cocktail while you are waiting, they have an indoor and outdoor bar. If we are back in the area we will definitely return!

Service was great, we sat outside on the covered patio and had Jackson who was very wonderful. Food was good, the special soup of the day roasted pepper tomato bisque was wonderful. Biggest issue was the 3.5% surprise service charge on the bill. Not sure if this is an Athens thing? Would still recommend just be prepared for it.

Walked in as a solo diner (traveling for work) and was immediately greeted by a kind and attentive host and shown to a nice table by the windows. Within just a moment or two my server greeted me and I was set up with water and an introduction to the menu. That set the tone for consistent, quality service without it being overbearing. The food was delicious. I got the hanger steak and would absolutely recommend it. Perfect portion size for a hearty meal that you don't have to box up and carry around for the rest of the night. Loved that they also had NA beer options!

Great food.. nice people.. only complaint is long waits for table at times even with plenty of empty tables. So maybe short staffed.

The Last Resort is an Athens favorite. No reservations are taken, so getting there early is key! We arrived before opening and there was already a line formed outside! The salmon and grits were incredible!

Very good food and nice presentations. We enjoyed the ambiance too. The person who served us was also good. The only downside, and the reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5, was the restrooms. They were very unclean. However, the food and everything else were awesome.

The only time I ever feel inclined to write a review is if I am blown away and want everyone to know- so here it is. Donderos is like a breath of fresh air from what feels like the never ending emergence of chain restaurant after chain restaurant. We are starved for distinctively exceptional places to linger long. Donderos is unique and they clearly take pride in the fact. -The staff is very friendly and thoughtful -Plenty of space and seating -Great vibes and ambiance, especially for a slow morning or a place to go and get some work done (lots of natural light) -VERY reasonable prices $$$. The food and pastries are unique and fun, and you get a good amount of food for what you pay for -Everything on the menu is good, really no competition. They also have lots of fun pastries for fall (pumpkin, apple, cinnamon, etc), which I am a sucker for :D -They pay their employees double the minimum wage, so they don't have to rely solely on tips -Convenient location, right on Milledge Love this spot so much. Really shows off the eclectic and community-based vibe that Athens is all about. Donderos I love you!!! Never change

A cafe with a new frame of mind. Boasts twice the Georgia minimum wage for baristas and therefore they don't take tips. Local art is all over the walls and they emphasize reusable cups. You even get a discount if you walked, rode a bike, or took a bus here. My only set back was I went in late August and it was just a smidge warm inside. Nothing crazy uncomfortable but enough to be a constant reminder. Overall though it's worth it for the mindful way this cafe puts it's best foot forward.

I almost don't want to do this review because I love this place so much and I don't want it to be overrun with people. This is the place I love to take somebody to talkand have either a snack and coffee or breakfast and lunch. The atmosphere is so warm and comfortable. Always met by somebody with a smile and a hello. It's that small town charm. nice ,warm and cozy. It's worth trying to find. Put it on your list of have to visits. They do have frozen meals to take away with you but that is something I have not done yet but plan to do soon.

What a great surprise. We didn’t want the standard fast chain restaurant fare for lunch. We loved the unique menu, well prepared items and the relaxed setting. Staff was friendly and welcoming. You order at the counter towards the rear of the house and they bring it out to you. My wife had a chicken salad sandwich with an ice tea and I had the Bahn Mi , coffee and a raspberry jam bar. They have a great house coffee and nice complement of pastries. Parking could be challenging at busy times but you can park off the main road.

We got the vegan pumpkin bread for $2.25, which was perfectly moist and delicious. We got the gluten-free grit bowl with fried tomatoes, goat cheese and red pepper sauce. We added a fried egg for $1. The ingredients definitely made the bowl, because the grits themselves were very bland—nothing to write home about. Good amount of food though. The french toast special was blueberry french toast. It was very sweet and was definitely not enough for a meal, which is why we we were glad we got the potatoes on the side. The DK scramble on flatbread was delicious. It was a good amount of food, though I would have preferred more eggs in it. I was going to get the quiche special (goat cheese, tomatoes and spinach) for my meal, but we decided to get it for the whole table, and I’m glad we did because it wasn’t a whole quiche! It was maybe 1/4 of a quiche, which was not advertised. For $5, that wasn’t worth it. It was nice that I got a free coffee because I’m a teacher. They offer deals for teachers, police officers, firefighters, and others, so make sure to check out their website. The place itself is cute—wooden tables and chairs, art for sale and cute little decorations. One plus was there was not wait for brunch on a Saturday morning! We were all satisfied with our meals, but because some portions were small, I’m giving it 4 stars.

I always go to Donderos first to load up on their pumpkin muffins and bread to take home with me, then I enjoy something from the menu. No surprise, I chose Donderos for my daughter’s birthday meal when I came to visit. Aren’t I thoughtful? (She enjoys eating there too.)

We selected this place after reading the reviews and were expecting them to be much more welcoming and accommodating. The service was just ok. Our server started off friendly, but later, she seemed distracted and perhaps even irritated. We did not feel welcomed, and the atmosphere was not comfortable. In general we like simple menus, but the items they had in the menu were unrefined and underwhelming. And the taste was just average, doesn't match the prices. And they took a loooong time to bring our food. We were just sitting there, bored, without having any food at our table majority of time. They gave us a complementary dessert at the end probably because of that. However interior of the restaurant was interesting. Parking is too tight and seems to have just one lane for both entrance and exit. I genuinely wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Overall, wonderful dinner. The server was fantastic and kind. Corn bread was delicious. Highly recommend along with the cheese board. Friend catfish and steak could have used more salt or some seasoning to complement the protein, but overall it was good. The carrot cake and chocolate cake were delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and energetic. Nice place for an upscale dinner. Parking: it is extremely limited so plan ahead.

Always wanted to try this place out and recently did! It’s located along Milledge Avenue so it’s not hard to miss. Parking was a little iffy so be mindful of that. We ate out at the patio and it was so nice; the lighting set a relaxing mood. We decided to try a little bit of everything since it was our first time and everything was so good and worth a try!! The service was also great which was a plus to the evening.

Dinner was amazing! Service was fast and friendly. We got the Caesar salad, corn soup, and the halibut. It was delicious and fresh. The best part was the corn soup!

It was the perfect sweet ending to an already incredible meal. Lovely and charming. Food, drinks and dessert all amazing. Staff was attentive. Located in a great part of town. The only callout is parking - not a lot of it in the back of the restaurant but overflow parking next door.

Everything about this place is absolutely lovely! Starting with the fact that the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The staff were super friendly, very helpful and attentive. The food was delicious too! Can’t wait to come back here in the future. Also, there seem to be a lot of people that the staff knew which also indicates it’s a restaurant that people continually come back to because it’s so good and beautiful! Thank you, Gus and team for being accommodating with my food requests!

Excellent food and excellent service. The chicken fingers were some of the best I have had. Crispy fried but juicy chicken. Great flavor with the Carolina sauce. They were so good. The fries were crispy and freshly cut. Lots of garlic and yummy raspberry ketchup. Cold beer. We told our server we had a show to get to and she was excellent. Helped make sure everything came out quickly. She did an awesome job!!

We were in town for a football and stopped here based upon the reviews. It did not disappoint. The place was busy, but we were seated quickly and our server, Mitchell was fantastic the entire evening. We started with the Pimento Cheese plate. I had the Carolina Dip sandwich, and though it was messy,it had a ton of flavor. They offer multiple dip options for their fries too. The beer selection is huge featuring several GA beers on tap. Overall, a great dining experience that I would recommend if you ever visit Athens.

Food was wonderful. I agree- they have the best fries I’ve had since my Nana’s hand cut perfectly fried fries. Bravo!! The chicken sandwich was huge and delicious. The wings and Pub burger cooked as ordered and so satisfying!

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. The place was busy, but we were seated in 5 minutes. Great beer selection, including some local brews. Carolyn was our waitress, and she was delightful. We both ordered the BBQ Rib Sandwich with fries. Food was outstanding!

Came here as part of a campus visit organized by UGA’s graduate school, and they took us to this pub, citing that it’s a popular hangout place. I can understandably see why. The Vegan Reuben was good, but the fries were killer. The raspberry ketchup was done SO well, too. Would totally recommend going!

This was our first time to this awesome restaurant and we had the best time. Hannah our bubbly bartender was amazing. So friendly and accommodating. Jacob from New Hampshire he is the best, and then rounded out the team with with Jakar. The food was delicious, the atmosphere fantastic. We came all the way from Connecticut just to visit Hannah and she did not disappoint!!!! When in Athens, Georgia, please go to trapeze Gastropub. It was the best.

I had the salad with added chicken. Would have given 5 starts but the added grilled chicken for $7 was quite minimal. Really enjoyed the gate city awe juice IPA!

It has a wonderful atmosphere and environment. All the drinks and appetizers I tried were delicious. You can watch the outside from the tables you sit at. You can chat with your friends comfortably with soft music. Also, the staff was very cheerful and friendly. My wife and I loved it.

The jazz brunch on Sundays is always a lovely time but unfortunately our server Alexis made it a less than pleasurable experience. She made our table feel like a burden, and did the bare minimum, all with a terrible attitude. She added autogratuity onto all of our checks for our party of 7, and after asking the host of the autograt policy I was told it was only for parties of 8+. Her service did not reflect an 18% gratuity, and it was extremely frustrating to pay after finding out it was a breach of policy.

We have had Five before in Birmingham and Athens and had good experiences in the past but last night ensured that I’ll never return to Five. Our ribeye and pork chop looked and tasted like they had been boiled and then slapped on a plate, and the shrimp tasted like freezer burn. I will say our cocktails and server were good so gave some stars for that, but from a food perspective I’d give zero. There are so many great restaurants in Athens, this just isn’t one of them.

Neat concept. Each day there are 5 apps and 5 entrees to choose from. Personally I think it was a little over priced but the food and apps were tasty. Unique atmosphere in the restaurant as well. We had the baked avocado, pimento cheese and smoked tuna dip, the porkchop, and the ribeye. Zero complaints regarding food or service from us. Our waiter Pete took care of us and food was prepared as we requested.

i love sunday jazz at five bar - food and music is great. however our waitress Alexis was very rude. as someone who works in service, her attitude was unacceptable. she made us feel like a burden and made the overall experience less enjoyable for us. also she added 18% autogratuity for us when we were only 6 people and the restaurants autogratuity policy is a party of 8+. she did not deserve our tip and unfairly added auto gratuity.

Main issue, no lightening. I was wondering why my food wasn't settling good. Pulled out a flash light to see my burger was raw except on the outside. We asked the server her name at the beginning of dinner, and got a weird look followed by a pause. Then said their name. Followed by 20 minutes and 17 seconds of of no contact. We had to ask the food runner yo get our server. For the price and experience, I'll not go back.

I love the atmosphere and the service by the waitresses. Very attentive staff and they made my visit an absolute delight. My friend and I tried their pork chop, shrimp dish, bread pudding, coffee, and the creature comforts beer. The Shrimp and the pudding were amazing and as always the beer was top notch. However the pork chop was a little too salty which became more saltier with the Mac n cheese underneath the chop. The coffee was an absolute no! Anyway I love the vibe in here. While the food items are a little pricey. It’s worth to visit once in a while for a some good food and a great atmosphere!

I love this place and have gone here for years, but the last two times I’ve gone in I haven’t been impressed. The past two times I’ve gone in they have barely put any cream cheese on my bagel. If I’m paying almost 10$ for a bagel I feel like I should get a little more than this considering it used to not be like this. Like I said I love this place, just have been a little let down lately.

Love this Athens gem. I really only went to buy coffee (I'd buy those beans by the bucket if I could) and grabbed a sandwich. I normally get a breakfast bagel but have to mention the Reuben; very very very impressed, it was way better than I was expecting. The sandwich (portion) was gigantic. Very impressive product, that sammie! Always great service and cool vibe. Love this Athens gem.

The inside is a bit industrial looking, but the staff are very friendly and patient! I come here before work a lot of weekends, and they are fast and the bagels are delicious!

First, a message to the owners of Ideal Bagel — Please start serving/carrying Choco Pronto’s coffee! You have such a fantastic local coffee roaster literally a few streets behind your store! Please support local Athens coffee roasters. Second, Ideal Bagel is really good! My personal favorite is the salt bagel with sundried tomato cream cheese. The bagel sandwiches are delicious and there’s good variety in terms of the bagel options. There’s seating available inside and outside. Parking is somewhat limited if you’re driving, especially during peak morning hours. In a town with limited good bagel options, Ideal Bagel stands alone.

We had the "Cadillac" and it very good. Seating is difficult, not many seats available. And you must pay for cream cheese ($2) to be added to your bagel, I would've expected them to come with cream cheese by default. Overall good place.

I enjoy coming here for a nice sandwich or a bagel. They also sell bread by the loaf. It is pricey but it is also good so maybe that evens out.

*Delayed post from April ‘25 Stopped in on a Sunday morning around 10am and found the place packed! Barely got a seat and the bagels were running out as we ordered. It’s obvious this is a hot spot for students to meet and work, and for good reason because the bagel sandwiches we ordered were delicious! We sat ourselves at one of the table tops and ordered from a phone instead of going to the counter. The space was cramped, which is probably why most people ordered to go instead of trying to eat there. It took a while to get our order delivered to our table, but it’s understandable given the high demand at the time. Would come back!

We love the ABC and glad it is back open. It is one of our favorite spots in Athens and when we make the 1 hr trek to Athens we try to include it because the bagels and bagel sandwiches are so delicious. We recommend this to everyone when the topic of Athens comes up.

Great bagel and quick service. I had to ask for cream cheese on the side of my sandwich but I got a very generous portion and it was delicious.

My wife and I stayed in town for our anniversary, and we decided to have breakfast here. We shared a bacon egg and cheddar cheese bagel (everything bagel). We thought it was delicious. Service was fast, and the location to our hotel was great.

Good to.have this place back. Ordered two lox bagel sandwiches online (everything and salt bagels). Other than the fact that "toasted" was a sold out option (I don't know how this is possible), and that many of the cream cheese flavors were also sold out, the bagels were fresh and chewy, and the assembled sandwiches were delicious. They really should have seating options, rather than just walk up and online ordering, but these are real bagels, and incomparable to anything you'll get in a grocery store. The lox was fresh and very flavorful. My order was ready when I arrived. The salt bagel needs more salt. And every bagel should be capable of being toasted. Let's hope they manage to keep this place alive this time.

Call ahead to see if they have any food left! First time back since they reopened. We do like their bagels, but at 12:20 they were out of everything except 4 weird flavors. Plus, you have to use the QR code to order if you're eating there. This presents risks because QR codes can be replaced with fake codes, plus I didn't bring my glasses. They actually had four garlic bagels when I went up to check, but by the time I ordered, they were gone. It took me 20 minutes to walk there. Probably won't risk another visit. Good thing Athens has two bagel places.

The staff were incredibly efficient and kind :). They were very adaptable and went the extra mile to make sure you got everything you wanted. I also really like the cream cheese of the weak idea! Makes me want to keep coming back! Not to mention by far having the best bagels in Athens. Couldn't recommend enough.

Quaint with some good southern charm. Food was good and delicious and we were seated very fast! Parking is weird. The meters on the street barely work, they’re probably southern fried by the sun honestly. There’s not really any parking decks nearby that we saw. I’d recommend this place for a chill lunch or dinner for sure other than the strange parking meters!!

10/20/2025. After my visit to the eye doctor we treated ourselves to the South Kitchen. Our waitress was very pleasant and poised. We had a hamburger (cooked perfectly - 5 Stars) and a Fried Green Tomato Sandwich which was delicious - 5 Stars). Beautiful building. Hope you enjoy my pictures. Very relaxing place to go. Hope you will give them a try!

South Kitchen + Bar is a great spot in a cool historic building. The shishito hush puppies were a standout, and I also really enjoyed the Caesar salad and the shrimp and grits.

Beautiful restaurant with a fantastic menu selection. I was somewhat disappointed with my roast beef sandwich however the hot chicken sandwich and omelets were delicious. I’d also like to mention our service from Reece was above and beyond.

Me and the wife ventured off to brunch and the first pass thru we left with a gift card as a "we're sorry your experience wasn't good" gesture. It was admittedly a busy day for them and we left at an even kilter. We tried to give it another go and the overall experience was nice. Server and bartender were great. Amazing tequila bloody Marys. We ordered and food came out pretty quick and fresh. Salmon cake Benny and a hot chicken sandwich, tater tots and collards. I cannot convey the feelings and emotions that went thru my mind. Why does this suck? The fish is cat food fishy. Sorry. Chicken sandwich also had an unfresh funk to it. The best thing we had was the tater tots fried in duck fat. Sorry to bomb you guys but we have tried twice and maybe we're just not your crowd but also maybe you could do better back there. I cannot recommend this place unless you want a drink and a snack.

We came here for the first time tonight. This place is AMAZING!! This will be on my list of rotation in Athens now. Came for restaurant week and didn’t even know. Wait time was over an hour but we managed to grab a seat at the bar.

Folks I must disagree or was or dining experience a fluke? Service with two individuals was extremely poor. Asked several times for condiments as well as additional aïoli and our two waiters were no where to be found. Appetizers were somewhat unappealing ss we opted for the specialty hush puppies . Dry on the inside and crispy and oily outside. Not interested. We ordered salad with a Vidalia onion vinaigrette that sounded delicious. Unfortunately it just tasted like vinegar and it was served with the main course. Dinner selection was the bar burger and the chicken, brussels sprouts with a tomato and potato dish. Brussels sprouts,were good but the chicken lacked flavor. The burger was ok but not over the top. Dessert that was recommended was peach cobbler and coffees. Peach cobbler in Ga should be great . It's like going to Key west for key-lime pie. Unfortunately, the peach cobbler was a terrible failure. If you close your eyes, you could not tell what type of cobbler you were eating. Whipped cream should have been on top of the ice cream on the cobbler. . Honestly, if this were s the best you have to offer I would not eat out. Cook with love and flavor or stay home!

Very clean restaurant. Our waitress AJ gave excellent service and checked on us often. First time I had lunch here and it was delicious. You can get any of the sandwiches as a wrap. I got the chicken sandwich as a wrap and it was very tasty. I have had breakfast here before and has always been good. This restaurant was located across from Athens Piedmont Hospital.

The food was good, but disappointing from all of the hype. The biscuit was flat and crumbling not light and fluffy as advertised. The chicken was a bit dry. The waffle on the other hand was light and fluffy, but would have been better with a better quality syrup instead random syrup packets. I am hoping it was just an off day.

Really nice little breakfast spot with a good amount of selection. The only complaint that I’d have would be that the biscuits were a little dry but maybe if you ask for fresh biscuits that could fix the issue. Really nice severs with a great attitude made the visit that much nicer.

My turkey bacon wasn't cooked at all. I had to drive all the way back and have it remade with pork bacon instead. I did request crispy.

Delicious food, fun atmosphere, and five-star service! Some of the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. (Biscuits are top-tier as well, of course!) AJ was super friendly and attentive to our needs throughout our meal, regularly bringing us drink refills before we even had a chance to ask. If you’re in Athens and have a hankering for a hearty breakfast, this is one of the best you’ll find.

A nice leisurely breakfast in a vibrant atmosphere with great service (thanks Kenya!). The oatmeal pancake with peach compote is tasty, the grits pass muster (they really are "creamy dreamy" and are sufficiently salted, as grits should be), but the biscuits... meh. I expected better biscuits from a place with biscuit in the name. It only took one bite for me to set it aside in favor of the pancake. Finishing with a positive note: my eggs were cooked exactly as I like them, the chicken sage sausage is delicious, and the coffee is good. If Kenya is your server, you'll be well taken care of.

LOVE their lattes! I go here for my fried chicken, biscuits and gravy fix. Melt in your mouth bacon! Mason jars with ice cold water. I wish they had gentle fans outside tho, in summer time 1 fan on turbo blows you away and people sit away from it.

Had brunch here 2 days in a row. My husband and I both had the breakfast plate, which contains eggs any way you like them, a biscuit, a side, and house made jam. Also added sausage to the plate. I chose the cheese grits for my side and they were so creamy and delicious. The biscuit was fresh tasting and was served sliced, with the inside toasted. My latte was delicious as well. You order at the counter, and your meal is brought out when ready. It was quite busy on a game weekend. There is seating inside and outside.

Best Burger in Athens!!! Yes, their breakfasts are fantastic and I think their buttermilk biscuits blow Mama’s Boy out of the water - and for real the coffee is so much better (it’s excellent) but don’t miss the burgers with clean meat!! Burger perfection!! I really love their tea too - unsweet but there’s sugar syrup you can put in - I love everything about this restaurant!

We are fairly new in Athens and we have tried few breakfasts places. But this one is THE BEST one so far! I had the Carolina boy biscuit, it was so savory and delicious. My husband had the gravy train which it was absolutely delicious too. If you are visiting Athens this place is a must try. Staff was super friendly as well. We will definitely come back.

I went with my daughters after visiting Foxglove in lent bar across the street. It was delicious. My daughter had the matcha blueberry drink and loved it. My other daughter had sausage gravy and biscuits and donuts bits with hot chocolate and she loved it. Everything we had was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful.

I was in Athens for the day and found this delightful place on Yelp. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious! I had the Fire Bird and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The biscuit was light and fluffy, a true southern biscuit! Oh and the fountain drinks! I don't drink root beer often but their root beer made me love it! Would definitely recommend!

Metro Diner was clean and comfortable and super busy. The service was good and the wait staff were friendly if maybe a tiny bit overwhelmed. The portions were of acceptable size and well presented. My companion had fish and chips, I had the cheese steak. Both were delicious. The fries were perfect!

Sam is an amazing server! Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and was there anytime we needed her. I had the Veggie omelette and added tomato’s, onions, and cheese to my hash browns, delicious! If you looking for a great easy going place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner I highly recommend this place.

We love Metro Dinner! One of our favorite restaurants to eat at here in Athens. I got the croissant French toast this time and added the cinnamon roll pancake toppings to them. Very sweet but Delic! Sam is wonderful! Even though I can see she’s very busy she still very attentive to our table. We will definitely be back.

Our 1st visit, everything on the menu looked good! I had a Stella Artois Beer, wife had Sweet Tea. We both settled on Fish, one w Chips an the other w Onion Rings. Very Tasty..even had a bit left-over and it won't go to waste..mmmm

We came food was really good and we got seated (Outside) quickly. It was busy so, our order did take a min but nothing to complain about. The server did get our one co-workers order wrong (he ordered a veg omelet but she brought him a western, and she was a little snarky when he asked for his sprite to be replaced (it was flat). Overall good experience and good food so we will give it another try later. I had the corrsiant french toast and it was really good. Go give it a try Myself and friends will be in 11/15 around 11:30 let's hope is as good as I was told.

Our first time trying this place, I agree with another post that the hostess had a bad attitude. However, I was impressed that my order came out with my special requests implemented perfectly (soft scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, well done toast) and hot. My company enjoyed her philly cheese steak too. Unfortunately, the restroom needed attention, smelled like pee and sticky floors; if I had used the restroom prior to ordering, I would have left - it grossed me out. We arrived around 10am, only 2 hours after opening, assuming the closing crew didn't clean the night before, hard to believe it was that dirty just after 2 hours of opening.

Absolutely in LOVE with their mojarra al mojo de ajo (fried fish with garlic). Throw some salsa verde in there, and I'm HOOKED! It does get very crowded and loud inside, but I cannot argue with the hustle!

We stopped in Athens, and decided to look for something good to eat before heading home. This place said it was authentic Mexican food, it was perfect. The food was delicious and exactly like the description, portions were good as well. Definitely our new spot when we come to Athens.

Came across this place close to our AirBnb. Nothing special from the outside but went due to great reviews and so glad we did! Walked in at lunchtime and it was packed with locals...knew we made the right choice. Starting with the salsa, nice flavor with a little kick without being too spicy. Mexican tacos were authentic and fantastic. My husband had the whole fish...delicious. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

Good Mexican food. You are served chips and salsa. Prices are reasonable. Everything was flavorful except for the Salvadorian curtido. The curtido was just bland and was not fresh. Will definitely come back.

Authentic Mexican fare. Even the environment is authentic. Warm flavors with fresh ingredients. Flavorful but not overpowering spices. Nice balance. Lots of choices and sauces- green sauce, red sauce etc. The menu must be 20 pages long. All the positive indicators were there. A full restaurant, and a full parking lot. Many of the patrons were Hispanic which tells me that the food must be fairly authentic. This is not a fancy place, but comfortable and festive. It has that crowded, I've been here a while kind of feel to it. I loved the servers and the staff. They were bustling around full of energy and smiles. This is very convenient as well. It's just off the Chase Street exit. The bright colored building stands out. There's plenty of parking in the adjacent parking lot slightly up the hill. If you want to look like you're a regular then use the middle door. If you want to look like a newbie, try the other doors! Good food in a nice comfortable environment. It's not fancy! But it's good!

Cracker barrel has changed up their menu some. It was nice to see new options, but I was disappointed that some of our favorite dishes seemed to be different. Our overall experience at the location was good. We were able to be seated right away. Our server was nice and professional.

Worst Cracker Barrel ever! I came inside to place a Togo order which took forever! When I finally got my order the eggs were raw! As in the membrane was still clear! They said there was nothing they could do but remake the order instead of refunding my money. Which is crazy because honestly I could have gotten salmonella! My mother is a USDA health inspector and I made sure to have her confide in her supervisors regarding the matter. Don’t waste your time here, the host in the front to me herself that I shouldn’t eat her because their health score is low!

I recently visited the Athens Cracker Barrel & had Cindie as a server. I love coming in & having her as my server she’s taken care of me & my son multiple times & it’s always been a pleasant experience. Shes very friendly & knows I love the flavored lemonades so she always asks if I want to try the new flavor. If I come to Cracker Barrel I always ask if she serving & if she has space in her section or able to take me & my sons order. I’ll continue to come & ask for her as long as she’s there. Also love the food , the cooks do a great job back there 👏🏽👏🏽

I wanted to compliment the Athens Cracker Barrel on their guest service. My family, and I, have been to several Cracker Barrel’s in the north Georgia area but none seem to come close to the experience we have at Athens. The team seems to be happier in recent months and the atmosphere just seems down home. We are thankful for our server Jaime today, and Lyndsey the other day. There is always a smile on their faces and a politeness in their voice. We have restaurant managers in our family, so it’s nice to see managers out visiting tables, and genuinely caring about what the guests have to say, fixing the issues, and having great conversation. In the midst of all that has gone on with Cracker Barrel recently, they have not allowed it to affect their stride, nor will we allow it to affect our frequency there.

Looking forward to having breakfast for dinner and this hit the spot. Pancakes were amazing as usual and the pecan maple french toast was very sweet but good. Asked for extra crispy bacon and got bacon with minimal crisp. Dining room looks like it could use a really good cleaning but service was great and the food was hot, fresh and was just what we were looking for! Thanks CB team!!

Went here on my lunch break around 12pm a few weeks ago and I was amazed by the new lunch deal of a NY strip and two sides for 15.99, I didn't get to change the sides but they were amazing anyway. It came with two corn on the cobs and two red potatoes that were super soft! I waited no more than a few minutes to be seated and served, and food came out hot and steaming. I was told there was new management in the store now and I could totally see a difference from six months ago. I am excited to go back!

WOW! My first time trying this Athens Staple. 10/10*** The Turkey sandwich, pita chips, the sauce everything is amazing! The people are incredible, kind and caring, I loved the atmosphere- it definitely won’t be my last time!

Met there for a lunch date with a friend. The people who work there were so friendly and nice. While I waited for my friend, they went ahead had gotten me something to drink since she had been delayed. They were very accommodating to any needs we had during our lunch date. And even though it was closing time when we were still there, they didn't rush us out. The food is delicious and priced decent. You get plenty for your money. I highly recommend!

Marti's is my favorite lunchtime spot in Athens! I love to pick up my chicken salad, fruit and homemade pita chips and eat them in the local park. My order is always ready with 0 wait and it's delicious and beautiful!

Some Friends wanted to meet for lunch and one suggested Marti's. I checked the menu the night before and found little to my liking offered for vegetarians. I selected the hummus sandwich. When served, the hummus was so thin, spread much like mayonnaise. I asked at the counter and they bought a generous side to me, graciously. I know many customers like the pita chips but 3 of the 4 eating left most of them. Luckily the 4th loved them and took them home. If not, what a waste. For the $12 I spent, I was not really happy and will not return.

Today was my first time eating here after seeing a coworker’s lunch a few weeks ago. I couldn’t forget just how fresh and delicious the food looked. I ordered the Martha’s Salad Plate and I was NOT disappointed at all! The food looked very vibrant and tasted extra fresh and amazingly delicious. The seasoned pita chips paired perfectly with both the pimento cheese and chicken salad. The fruit was perfectly sweet, the lettuce crisp and green, and the balsamic dressing was extremely yummy. I will definitely be a regular customer.

I love the food. However the service could have been better. I ordered before three other people that came in behind me, and somehow they all got there food before I did. I wish there was more diversity I always feel kind of out of place. Anyways the food was delicious just wished it was separated out so that foods won’t get all mixed in with each other.

My hubby & I ventured into Athens today and took advantage of eating lunch at yummy Panera, since we don’t have one where we live. I’m so glad we did because not only was the food delicious, but Kaylee, the manager, was super friendly, smiley & even offered great suggestions that we enjoyed! The place was also clean and overall it was a great experience! I highly recommend Panera and if you go, be sure to order their yummy broccoli cheese soup particularly in a bread bowl! You’ll love it!

Your people at register are always awesome. However the kitchen can’t seem to get it together. The last 8 months or longer every order I’ve gotten has either been missing something, taken almost an hour to receive In an almost empty restaurant and since when does Panera use American cheese? This morning they completely left my grandmothers bagel out of the order. If i hadn’t checked the bag she wouldn’t have had breakfast. On top of that my 2 bagel sandwiches had American cheese for the first time ever and no garlic aioli? Please just get it together cuz when your food is good it’s GOOD.

This location stays busy, and it's easy to understand why. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, the wait was minimal, even with many patrons, and the food, as always, was fresh and delicious. It can seem a bit pricey for a lunch/meal, but the product and value are hard to beat! I will definitely be back, and I think you should check it out as well.

Food was great, ordered online so didn't talk to anyone, was a little disappointed in the portion of chicken in my southwest chicken melt. Alot of bread not alot on insides. Taste was great though

I've been to dozens of different Panera locations, and as soon as I walked into this panera, I knew it was different. The young lady behind the counter taking our orders was so patient and friendly. The restaurant is large and it was clean. When our food came out, I was amazed at the quality and presentation.... the best I've ever seen at a panera, so I attached pictures.

The ladies were nice. $10.25 for this though wasn’t really worth it. Especially when it came to the eggs. Very small portion🫤

Eating at Em's Kitchen is like having lunch at the best cook in your family's house. It's consistantly good food. It is comforting and tastey. The staff is quick and friendly. Em's is a wonderful choice for catering, too. Do not skip dessert.

I am so fortunate to have found this place. The food is made with love and it brings feelings of nostalgia. Heartfelt family meals! I especially like the tuna salad sandwich. Thank you!

Covid update. They are open for inside and outdoor dining. Masks are required until you’re seated. Employees all had masks on. I had the shrimp wrap special one Friday, and it was absolutely delicious. It had a very nice chipotle flavor. My husband, as always, got the Cuban, which he loves. I also, as always, got a bowl of the Brunswick stew with cornbread. My only regret is that I’m not again eating this meal right now. No changes to the parking, but there’s a big grocery store parking lot right next door. Still highly recommend. Have been here a few times. Very cute and intimate place for breakfast and lunch. I’ve had the over easy eggs, the Cuban sandwich, and the Brunswick stew. One of my favorite places in Athens to get Brunswick stew, actually. There is not a lot of seating, not very much parking, and it gets pretty packed at lunchtime, so I would advise against going during peak hours.

Get the Em’s chicken salad or BLT - both have been amazing when visiting. Great service and atmosphere - also great prices in today’s crazy economy. Go support local in Athens!

Great little eatery...great prices and good food. Egg salad sandwich and chicken salad sandwiches were great. Lots of options and they serve breakfast and lunch.

Loved the vibes of the restaurant, it was very well decorated and matches the menu & atmosphere very well. We waited roughly 30-40 mins for a table since we didn’t have a reservation & they were PACKED. The spicy sausage pizza was absolutely delicious- something about their tomato sauce with the toppings made it incredible. The chicken parmigiana was HUGE & tasted pretty good but unfortunately pasta costs extra :( Lastly, the Ricotta Cavatelli was alright but i wasn’t expecting the pasta shape 😂😂. We also ordered an extra meatball which was delicious but that was an extra $5. Overall, a decent & delicious meal but definitely pricey.

I would highly recommend trying the street parking on the road across Lumpkin, the parking situation here is NOT good. I actually came into the restaurant quite grumpy and ready to give a non 5 star review because of the trouble I'd had parking but the quick service, great food, and good price points swayed me back. I think the prices are VERY reasonable for upscale food and the quality and SPEED from the kitchen is VERY impressive. I want to really shout out the dessert's menu. EVERYTHING on it was absolutely delicious and maybe the best dessert spread I've had its Athens, both from the prices, quality and diversity.

I recently dined at ZZ's and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a cozy meal. The staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly, adding a personal touch to my brunch experience. The food was both delicious and beautifully presented, showcasing a thoughtful selection of fresh, high-quality ingredients. The chef’s attention to detail truly shone through. Each plate presented to our table from the expo area was garnished perfectly and with heart. My latte was crafted thoughtfully which is of the utmost importance as well. Very nice offering of drinks. Not a huge menu..which in my opinion is smart to grow your business because you can do it and do it well. I highly recommend ZZ's for anyone seeking a delightful dining experience with genuine care and quality.

MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN ATHENS! This place is unmatched compared to everywhere else. You can tell these people are very good at their culinary craft. I have been there for both dinner and brunch and everything I have had there is just divine! The rigatoni alla vodka is literally the best pasta dish I have ever had in my life. Starting my day off with the lush eggs in purgatory was incredible. Do not skip dessert, the vanilla gelato with olive oil and flaky salt is something that needs to be tried to truly understand.

One of the best food experiences I’ve had in years. Wife wanted to go and I wanted to go to my Athens classics… man am I glad we didn’t. Atmosphere Amazing vibe, great vintage 70’s rock tunes on the vintage stereo Waitress Amazingly friendly, never missed a beat Food Appetizer Mind blowing. Excellent NY strip is one of the best I have ever had Came with and entire head of garlic to squeeze over the steak Limon spaghetti my wife got was epic Cesar salad is best I have ever had! Bourbon selection is great!!

Great service, amazing atmosphere! The focaccia is great with the complex butter they serve it with. The dressing in the ceaser salad was very tangy and tasted like it had a strong flavor of anchovies. I also wasn’t the biggest fan of the whole romaine leaves being served. Nevertheless, the scampi was delicious! Lovely dinning experience that is less intense than 5&10. Can come here for casual lunch or dinner or slightly more formal occasion. Recommend having reservation. Ask for upper outdoor patio if interested in dining outside.

One of the top 3 best in Athens! This is a great location to celebrate for a special occasion. The food is amazing and very fresh. Their breads, pizza doughs and pasta are made fresh in house. Nothing will disappoint on the menu, I haven’t met a dish I dislike. As well, the service is always very quick, intimate and seamless.

Puma Yu in Athens, GA offers a delicious dining experience with flavorful dishes that truly satisfy the palate. Every item I tried was tasty and well-prepared, making for a memorable meal. The portion sizes are on the smaller side, which might leave you wanting a bit more, and the prices are a little on the higher end. However, the quality and atmosphere make it well worth it, especially for a nice date night. The drinks are great, making it an excellent spot for apps and cocktails as well. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy great food and drinks in a cozy setting, Puma Yu is definitely worth a visit!

Delicious, unique food and amazing service. Everything was fresh and tasty, and I will definitely be back. Chef deserves all the props. Do try the beef noodle! UPDATED REVIEW:: I went a second time, and the menu is seasonal so it was a new menu. I got a pork noodle for $28. While the portion was large, it was quite greasy and left me feeling heavy. I will come back and try the desserts! The 20% included gratuity tip is also steep as the menu items are already expensive. I'm excited to try thr lunch options as well.

Puma Yu's treads a very fine line between comfortable/casual and classy/fancy and I think it actually nails the vibe very well. I don't think you'd look out of place in a T-Shirt and Shorts but can easily come in dressed in a tie and not look out of place. The drink menu is OUSTANDINGLY huge, it's essentially 4 times larger than the food menu and has some very interesting and unique flavors and picks. The season nature of the menu makes it more difficult to talk on the food as it changes. I will say everything tends to be somewhat spicy, you can ask for things on the side but just BASELINE the way the food is prepared/cooked, it's going to have kick. Parking is very easy, the whole Rivet House complex is very pleasant to get into and out of. So why not 5 stars? I think the food menu is just SMALL, there's not a lot of diversity, you essentially have ONE noodle dish, ONE fish dish, ONE curry. There is often going to be an interesting special like Fried Chicken or Flank Steak and again, I think the food is delicious, but it's nice to have options, especially if you're coming with a larger party. Great addition to the Athens food scene. It is still early days for the restaurant. I expect that the dishes will evolve a bit and improve further. Drinks are great. Atmosphere is very good, especially the outdoors area. Nice music too. Great place to hang out with friends over drinks and some Asian inspired food. The best dish, in our opinion, from the ones we ordered this time was the Thai hot chicken sandwich. Will be back another time to try some more dishes, snap some photos of the food and drinks, and perhaps upgrade the rating. Overall rating: 4 stars ————— Second visit was for Sunday brunch. The overall assessment was similar to the earlier visit. Photos of the dishes posted are from the brunch.

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boyyyyy. Everything was just absolutely delicious. Texture, flavor, acidity was all so on point and every menu item we tried was absolutely delicious. The decor was beautiful, the service lovely, and I couldn’t stop staring at the candlesticks on top of the bar (big fan) 😂. This is a special place in Athens and I can’t wait to come back and try everything, I mean, I smelled the noodles the table next to us ordered and I absolutely need those in my life. I give this 57 stars. PS get the freaking peach dessert.

Wow. Truly the best brunch experience I have had! I went with my girlfriend, and we had a great time. Drinks and food were phenomenal, but our server Leo was a highlight of our trip. Give that man a raise!

So this is mine and my daughters first time here and it just so happens to be her 12th birthday. We looked on line for a nice brunch spot and she ended up choosing here bc the food looked so good on the website. Well I wish what you see is what you get but in this case that was not what happened. We came in about 11:40 and there were a total of 4 other family’s eating that had either already ate or were eating. It took our waiter almost 25 min to greet us and ask our drinks I told him we were also ready to order. I ordered the Brunch Sandwich and I posted a picture of the sandwich I got vs what is on the menu as pictured. Bread not grilled no this but one slice of avocado just down the middle of the bread. My daughter ordered the Cookie dough waffle also attached pictures to show what my daughter got vs what the menu shows! I’m beyond disappointed and would not recommend anyone coming here to eat!!!! The hostess was not friendly and our waiter did a poor job checking in and bringing refills to my daughter who ate half her waffle before he even brought her a refill which she was out of before our food even came out. All in all I won’t come back here again!

This was my first experience at this restaurant. Upon arrival, I noticed it was unkept. When we were seated The booth was sticky, and there were cobwebs Going from the bottom of the windowsill all the way up to the ceiling. Everything was dusty, there was copious amounts of trash on the ground, and you could tell the floors had not been swept or mopped in quite a while. The bathrooms were even worse- the mud and dirt were mixing with water creating an awful sludge. It reminded me of an outdoor bathroom. . There was no toilet paper In the toilet paper holder, but there was no shortage of toilet paper balls on the floor. Stains in the toilet. I didn’t even feel clean after washing my hands. I felt like I needed a shower just from being in there. Having a lifelong career in food and beverage, I would be embarrassed to work in an establishment that looked like this. The food was good, but the atmosphere being disgusting really takes away from it. This is supposed to be a semi upscale restaurant that I’ve heard great recommendations for, but it was utterly disappointing for how disgusting it was. The place is swanky enough to have to show your ID to sit at the bar, but not clean enough to simply dust. It’s a shame that this piece of real estate is the face of Athens where your kids are going to college and learning how to be their own adults. Not a great example.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness that set the tone for a top-notch dining experience. The choices on the menu were endless, and everything sounded incredible. We went with the Lobster Omelette and the Cinnamon Roll French Toast—both were absolutely delicious and exceeded all expectations! Our server Leo was spectacular—genuinely kind, enthusiastic, and extremely helpful in walking us through the menu. It’s rare to meet someone who clearly loves what they do, and it made our visit even more memorable. The service was fast, efficient, and filled with great energy. Food and service here are amazing—truly a five-star experience all around. We can’t wait to come back regularly. Highly recommended!

I got the Eggs blackstone Benedict with fruit. It was alright. The sauce was too salty and the fruit was insanely sour. The eggs were TINY and undercooked. I'd probably go back and try something else but this experience wasn't great.

Have gotten better since my first time of going front counter never has no one there . Michael was very polite she took me and my family order and made sure the food was fresh and hot . I went back asked who done all my burgers for me and my family the girl ty den came forward I gave her props because no one has ever got that order correct on the first try … But they sure is always out of small burgers and napkins

The manager was ignorant. He didn’t listen to what I was ordering. Charged me twice for a drink on top of that what I ordered wasn’t even available comes out after 20 minutes of waiting tell me we don’t have it!? Also lettuce looked few days old and the bun was stale on top of worst customer service I’ve ever experienced at a fast food chain! Need whole management staff to be replaced. I don’t expect to have excellent service at a fast food chain btw, a normal competent service works.

Let's start off saying that I love Whataburger and I waited for them to get the kinks out before going by to order... 1) The person taking my order talked so much that she didn't hear my order. It had to be repeated 4x. 2) The fries were cold, limp and tough. 3) My Patty Melt had the sauce, I requested NO sauce. 4) We received the wrong lemonade. Although, the replacement was as watered down as the Prickly one. Water with a slice of lemon has more lemon... :( 4) The meat on the sandwiches was well past their hold time. Our sandwiches were not eaten. 5) My chocolate shake tasted of cherry cough syrup. 6) The person at the window tried to hand me a single sandwich. The Order Taker said. "Your Order Is In The Bag!" It was not. 7) We were rushed out of the DT without the opportunity to ask for ketchup, napkins or even straws. 8) We ordered no tomatoes and part of the tomato remained on the other combo. I absolutely understand that Fast Food is not easy and make every attempt to forgive most... $30.00 for meals that could not be eaten is unacceptable. Please make sure that the shake mixer is cleaned between uses. I can only assume that the Dr. P and the Blackberry shakes are a hit. I wanted a simple chocolate shake. Please learn the DT time is not more important than straws and that hold times are there for a reason.

third time that they didnt get my order right, i paid the difference to get the onion rings, and the honey mustard to go with them, and they only put onion rings with one of the chicken sandwiches. Last time they shorted me 2 sandwiches. Time before they gave two meals but instead of chicken sandwiches they were spicy burgers,

My dogs know if we pull into a drive through that they expect something always. Was at a place nearby and asked for a few fries since the girl pet him and said yes, but they forgot :( I could tell my dog was SO sad, so we pulled right up for some fries. They even gave me some ice cream too and just absolutely made us feel more than welcomed. Thank you to the staff!!!

I’ve been here a handful of times! And the food and service never ceases to amaze me. I love the breakfast skillets and their fresh orange juice. FYI if you go on a weekend morning/brunch, you will probably have to wait but that is expected anywhere.

What a wonderful place this was to grab breakfast! The ambiance is wonderful, the restaurant is spacious, and well laid out. The food was also delicious and very filling—especially for a breakfast. I absolutely loved the options I had with my meal. Egg whites at no extra cost was wonderful as well. The food was also delicious!

Fun place to celebrate birthday with family. Food is delicious and service is attentive. Wait times can get long, so plan to wait to be seated. Parking next to the restaurant can be difficult, but there is plenty of parking nearby. Highly recommended for Breakfast and Brunch.

The potatoes were too salty and not consistently cooked so some were hard and undercooked and some were cooked too soft. My salad and sanwhich were perfect. The blueberry cornbread was hard at the edges and dry. Our server was okay. The carrot cake pancake had too many nuts in it and my friend really couldn't enjoy it. Loved the atmosphere, was very chill and welcoming.

This is yet another restaurant great First Watch in the eastcoast with a twist. Why ? Because this Georgia Bull dog country here in Athens, GA. The great University of Georgia is here with its massive 93 thousand seat stadium to cheer on there favorite football team. My wife is a huge bull dog fan and brought me here for the first time. I liked this First Watch because of the bull dog decor on the walls and they have more comfy padding seats at some tables. The staff were funominal and our food came out quick which i was starving.. I got my staple the quinoa breakfast bowl with an egg over ease with potatoes. I would recommend the million dollar potatoes if you don't have a gluten allergy. The manager of this restaurant is pictured in the bar area. Great guy. Would I recommend this restaurant? Absolutely Would I return? Absolutely

Hands down the best sandwich I’ve ever had. SULLYS in Athens isn’t just a sandwich shop—it’s an experience. The concept is brilliant, and the food is next-level. But what really sets this place apart is the team. The owners and staff are incredibly engaged, welcoming, and genuinely care about every customer. You feel it the moment you walk in. Can’t recommend it enough.

Wow! This is an amazing sandwich place! I had never had one before but the whole steamed bagel concept is truly amazing. Hot and delicious. Steaming the bagel makes it super tender and the meat and cheese are steamy and hot as well. The combination makes for a super flavorful mix. A new favorite place for me for sure. We tried two different sandwiches- Mr. Steamy on an asiago bagel & Mr. T on a whole wheat. Both were delicious. We got the combo and they had Zappos chips which were also delicious. Service was fast and helpful. Very clean and comfortable with some outdoor seating. Certainly 5 Star... You have to CK this place out!

I give this place one year before they close. Service is amazing, the workers helped us pick our order and served us fresh food. However, with Athens Bagel and Ideal Bagel both just a mile away, I don't see how this place can survive. Their whole thing is that the bagels are steamed, but that isn't different enough to make them stand out. The food was okay but i left 4 stars due to the stellar service.

From the service to the food, everything was excellent! My bagel tastes like it’s made with so much love. Omg. My new favorite breakfast spot! We went on a Sunday at lunch; it was way too busy. The staff was very nice and efficient but seemed overwhelmed or understaffed. I had the grilled salad and it was stuffed with yummy toppings. My kids ordered the tenders but they didn’t enjoy them as much as other places. One kid said the buffalo sauce was too spicy (not mild) and the other didn’t care for the bruxie sauce. We want to go again to try the waffles.

The waffles had a satisfying crunch and paired perfectly with the Bruxie syrup. We also ordered 'THE ORIGINAL' to go, which was equally tasty. Unfortunately, we were overcharged $2.05 for the to-go order. The screen displayed $11.45, but we were charged $13.50. We only discovered this upon reviewing our email receipt later. Not sure if there is an upcharge for to-go orders

We beat the crowd and had great service! I really enjoyed the unique flavor of the chicken tenders with my waffle and the waffle was delicious. The Waffle Sandwich was really good, too!

I’ve been curious about Bruxie’s chicken and waffles for a while now and finally decided to check them out today. I think the chicken and waffles at The Place are the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had, so I was curious to see how Bruxie compared. Disappointing. I got the Holy Chicken and the waffle was thin and a little burnt, the bacon was cheap and stringy, and the chicken and egg were done well, but that’s about it. If you really want good chicken and waffles, go to The Place, but they only have it on their dinner menu so if it’s before then, I guess you could go to Bruxie or find another restaurant.

I am a sucker for chicken and waffles. The waffle is crispy which makes a satisfying crunch. the chicken is well seasoned and tender. Maple syrup came in a cute, tiny glass bottle.

Customer service is always stellar here! Employees (in my experience) have always been very kind, attentive, and patient. There was a problem with my most recent order and the individual taking my order went above and beyond to remedy it. Food is great here as well; waffles are buttery and soft, chicken is seasoned very well, spiced tots have a great flavor, and the maple syrup is some of the best I’ve personally had! Haven’t tried the chocolate chip cookie I got from here yet but it looks great. All food served warm and fresh too

The chicken croissant sandwich, Sicilian redbull rush, and OF COURSE pup cups are the best! My dogs will absolutely do anything to mooch off the drive through staff! I have 3 dogs now and my VERY reactive dog never has an issue at this location. I believe that the fact you order at the window and that they always keep conversation is the reason for this. He absolutely loves this place and never has a negative reaction ❤️ I appreciate this more than you guys know!

Love Elliano’s! They’re typically pretty fast, drive thru only, but the staff are so friendly. The music they play while you’re waiting is awesome. Drinks and food are amazing, and I love the rewards program!

This is often a good alternative to the other coffee shops. They have a different variety of drinks to try and everything I've had has been good. Like the others shops though, sometime a little pricey but you get that special mix you pay for.

They were packed with a long line, but an employee was out there taking orders on mobile. This crew had an efficient system to keep the traffic moving. Also, their Pumpkin White Mocha Freezer is super delicious always!!

I've been coming here since they opened here and I love it! My go to is always the iced caramel latte, I haven't had a latte from anywhere else that gives me the energy I need (no lie). There's one worker, I wish I could remember her name(wears glasses), she gave me a recommendation and it was delicious as well as energizing. I also love their bagels, my go to is an Asiago with egg and cheese. You can also rack up points with every purchase and they have an app you can order ahead. Highly recommend! Update 6/15/25 Still my favorite coffee shop! Update: I tried the Tuscany Toffee latte and I just might love it more than the caramel. They also just updated the app and you can order ahead.

We were worried as we approached Cantaritos in a half-deserted strip mall, but decided to take a chance as the number of cars showed it was popular ... I'm so glad that we did. Service was friendly and efficient, the menu had something for everyone, and the food was outstanding. Everything we had was well prepared and apparently made from scratch - the consomme with my birria was amazing. We came for brunch, but will be coming back for dinner soon. Highly recommended as one of the best south/central American restaurants in the Athens area.

I’m so excited that Tropical Smoothie is finally in Athens!! The food and smoothies are delicious, and the service was great. We devoured our food before we could take a picture. I enjoyed a chipotle chicken club flatbread with kale apple slaw and a Bahama mama smoothie. My husband had a basil pesto flatbread with Miss Vickie’s chips and a blimey limey smoothie. Fresh and delicious!

I’m not a big cafeteria style meal person, but this local joint fills a void of quick, southern, low cost meals. Food could use some seasonings but that’s cafeteria food. Staff is friendly. Seating area is open and appears to be a favorite with contractors and locals. Great meeting place for groups to meet. Parking is adequate but you will have to go to the rear of the restaurant.

Everything was fresh and tasted ok. I'm just not a fan myself. I liked the sausage biscuit better than the chicken biscuit. The chicken was a little dry but had a good taste. Staff was all great.

The food here had a wonderful taste and they are generous with their portions. They close at 2 o’clock and today I got there at 1:30. Almost all of my food was cold. Cold okra, cold fried chicken livers, and cold sweet potato soufflé… I took a few bites of everything and I ate all of the field peas which were warm. I packed up the rest of the food to go. Hopefully I can successfully heat up the okra and the fried chicken livers either in my oven or in my air fryer. I’m sure I can heat up the sweet potato soufflé in the microwave. I will go back one day and give them another try. Like I said, the taste of my food was good and the restaurant was very generous with their portions. In addition, the personnel who worked there seemed to really like each other and were very positive and pleasant. I will definitely get there a lot earlier next time in hopes that my food will be hot.

Best place in Athens for old school breakfast food. Extremely popular for takeout food on the way to work. My favorites are their bacon & egg biscuit and sausage gravy biscuit. I always try a sausage gravy biscuit everywhere I go that has one (even when traveling), and I can easily say that Strickland's has the best one. They also serve lunch, but I rarely get a chance to go during that timeframe, so I can't comment much as to their lunch offerings. I do have friends that love it, though. There can be a decent sized line at times, but they are usually very efficient and quickly move the line along, so waits are usually minimal.

If you want to punish yourself and you like food without flavor, you have found heaven. Cheesy potatoes defied the laws of gravity, the chicken breast was drier than fossils, and the greens were watery. The best thing about the meal was the napkins. The bathroom was out of a horror movie, complete with a flickering light. Just don't do it.

In the home of the G Dawgs and hits all the other Gs - Great food, Great prices and a business run by Great folks. Don't miss out next time you're in or near Athens!

Funky hang out located in The Graduate Hotel lobby. Super nice staff. Great place to meet a friend for coffee. In love with the vibrant yellow espresso machine.

I went to grab coffee with some friends visiting for the holidays. The coffee was great as was the biscuit. I got the BEC (bacon, scrambles eggs, and cheese). The coffee shop is the same room as the registration for the hotel. The vibe was great and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The only thing to think about is parking because most of the spots are dedicated to the hotel. Overall a great spot where I definitely want to spend more time.

I’d only recommend coming here for the coffee. Coffee and service were fantastic. Sandwiches were not quite worth the $11 but still tasty. For that price I’d expect a bit more than egg/cheese/meat on bread. Maybe a side or two. Def more affordable food in the town, but on me for accidentally strolling into a hotel lobby/restaurant.

This past Sunday, I visited Poindexter in hopes of getting some work done. For a coffee shop, this location is very small. Seating is a bit limited. I found the space to be inviting and it looked cool. However, the tables and chairs were not very ergonomic for someone attempting to type on a laptop for extended periods. I did not have the coffee or any food. I will not be returning to Poindexter as a place to get work done.

I don’t have enough good things to say about this place. I study here almost everyday. The staff is so nice, coffee is absolutely amazing, they want students there to study so you don’t feel like you’re not welcome since it is a lobby. The breakfast sandwiches are the best I’ve had ever, like 100% honest. And then the seating is so comfy and the vibes are just wonderful overall. Love the decor too ;)

I was walking by this place and saw a sign from the road that said “coffee shop” on a old looking industrial sort of brick wall. I thought “oh cool! A vintage coffee shop sign.” Then I started to think that there may actually be a coffee shop there as well. Very nondescript. The graduate is a hotel. And the coffee shop is actually inside the “check in” lobby. Not even that- this company roasts their own coffee. And it’s great! I almost feel bad leaving a review and posting photos because it is obviously a secret spot. But I am in love with the aesthetic on the inside. Will definitely be frequenting this spot.

Hendershot’s is the best! It’s my favorite place to perform, and my fave place to see shows/comedy. The sound system is great, the staff is always heroically sweet, and the owners are national treasures. Great coffee and fun seasonal cocktails!

First the owner is an amazing guy with an amazing family who do a lot for there community while also providing an amazing spot to enjoy music,food and drinks. Every time I go here I hope against hope it will be a good experience. They seem to have good intentions but it doesn't count for much. Tried to order a drink and bartender stood right in front of me on their phone texting. I get it yall are just too cool. Hoping places like this eventually get bought out in athens. Horrible

I love this place so much! They have everything! Delicious breakfast, coffee, cocktails, art, drag shows, and a wonderful mix of performers from a plethora of different music genres. It's one of my favorite places to go with friends.

Love this joint. Great food, service and music. The owner is a stand up person! Isn’t afraid to get behind the bar and help the team out. Super affordable as well. Have gone for coffee, drinks and have also been to a couple of their pop ups they host.

I think my server's name was samuel. There was only one young man working the front and one gentleman cooking. It was the best service in meal I have had at IHOP in quite a while! The restaurant was clean and the food was delicious. A+

The restaurant smelled like body odor and there was trash on the floor. We were the only ones there when we walked in. We ordered three kids meals with our order. They made a mistake and brought eggs and bacon when my son had ordered fries. When we asked them to correct it, they said we had ordered the fries too late even though we had ordered them at the same time as all the other food. The bathroom smelled awful and there was trash and fake eye lashes on the floor. The bathroom was also not stocked. The server was nice. However, some of our food was burnt while other parts of our food were under cooked. We haven’t been to ihop in forever and were excited to try it out again. I was extremely disappointed and I do not foresee us visiting this location again.

Myself and three other people waited to be served for five minutes and when the hostess finally arrived she asked what we wanted. We asked to be seated and instead of seating us she went into the back and I heard an argument start. We left.

My family & I went to ihop this morning and had a wonderful experience. The food was great but the service is really what made it for us! Nichelle was the BEST! She was attentive, kind, and fun to small talk with. I highly recommend going on a Saturday or Sunday morning & asking for Nichelle!

Awesome IHOP experience. First time my daughter has ever been to an IHOP. The food was excellent, just like the service. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly. I would recommend this location with confidence. What are you waiting for, IHOP is waiting!

I’m notice that there is not a lot of customers inside when walking inside. I took about 15 minutes to get seated and another 15 minutes before the waiter took our order. There only 9 customers inside the dining area so I would expect to be seated and service a lot sooner. It took about 45 minutes for our food (group of 3). The waiter has forgot the coffee I ordered and just brought me a water. I ordered the endless pancake meal but I doubt I will see them since it takes soon long to be serviced and the food to come out. I literally played tic tac toe all over a kids menu. Food was good but for the service to be this slow when you only have 9 customers is unacceptable. I like going to IHOP but this will deter me from coming to this location when there are great local restaurants available. Date of Visit: 2/4/21 2:00PM I revisited this IHOP on 11/14/21 approximately 12:20 PM. I took us about about 30 minutes for us to be seated. There was another group of four that was waiting for over hour and a half but was not seated before my group. We had a kid and was not given a kids menu. We were not given utensils until 5 minutes after we received our food. Our food took about 30 minutes to arrive. I approached a employee to ask if we can get utensils. After five minutes in the back. She said they do not have utensils available. When given utensils, they arrived in a glass still wet. Our order had discrepancies upon arrival. Some of the food was burnt to include the pancakes. The waiter did not write down the order which makes it difficult to say if it was a waiter or kitchen issue. I suggest ever waiter to write orders down instead of trying to memorize it. I loved visiting IHOP for the value I am getting with the price. The issues with the food, wait times, and employees are not worth it though. There are plenty of places to eat around Athens that might be a little more expensive but worth the cost. I will wait for another 6 months before trying to come back to this IHOP in hopes of better service .

Just ordered a vanilla sweet cream cold brew and was handed someone's old order I guess. It was watered down and had no foam. I ordered the bacon gouda and that's always good. I love starbucks so this was a huge disappointment to the start of my day

I worked outside in the rain today and was cold and wet for my ride home; so, I decided to grab a hot chocolate to warm up. As I was paying at the drive through, I dropped my card wallet right into a puddle of water, and all of the contents popped out. The young man at the window immediately handed me a bunch of napkins so that I could dry my stuff. I didn't catch his name, but his act of kindness was appreciated.

i love starbucks.i work at a starbucks.Ive never came across coworkers who seemed uninterested in everything ,i ordered a strawberry venti açaí w no inclusions and simply extra base expecting a full strawberry açaí lemonade worth of 8$ for one drink to get a half strawberry açaí lemonade they said they did added extra base and that i did get a full one to there measurement’s like what?ive never came across such rutheless starbucks employees of my life ,thanks to the boy and the girl w glasses to add this day

Ummm wrong store to get customers service here. I order a dunk latte iced sausage egg and cheese biscuit hash brown. The sausage egg biscuit isn’t cook all the whoever fix this biscuit didn’t care like it just came out of a frozen box of bias.12.50 meal.

My Fiancé found a rusted piece of metal in her sandwich. Not a flake or a speck — an actual, around dime-sized chunk of sharp rusted metal sitting right in the top of the sandwich I ordered. This is beyond disgusting — it’s a serious health hazard. If it hadn’t been seen before taking a bite, It could have caused severe injury or potential death. The fact that something this dangerous made it into a customer’s order is absolutely unacceptable and shows a complete failure in food safety and quality control. I’ve already contacted corporate, consulted with my lawyer, and will be reporting this to the health department immediately. There needs to be accountability, because this kind of negligence puts people at real risk. Until Dunkin’ shows they take this seriously, I will never eat here again — and if you value your health, I’d advise you to do the same.

We went through the drive-thru, and the employee taking our order was very rude. Our order ended up being wrong. The store and its management didn't care, so corporate had to send us a gift card. As soon as we used the gift card, this store started blowing up my phone. They didn't care to make things right until corporate stepped in to do the right thing.

My experience is always very good. The coffee is very good and consistent every day. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I usually dine in and I order ahead. My order is always ready when I arrive. The restaurant is clean and well maintained.

I picked a bad day to get doughnuts? The doughnuts are not the freshest. Some need more frosting. Is it coming out the employees pockets for them to be stingy on the frosting? I wouldn't be upset if they were free but I did pay for them. I had to go through the drive thru since dine in is no longer an option. I would have said something sooner had I seen it. On a positive note the person that took my order was nice. I guess today was not the day to get doughnuts.

Coffee so sugary it made me sad. I asked for 1 cream 1 sugar iced coffee but they must've given me someone else's coffee cause it was so sugary it felt acidic. It also had some flavoring which i didnt get either

This is my third or fourth time coming to Buvez, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is calm, idyllic, perfect. The drinks (of which I’ve tried several) always fill me with warmth (I tend to the hot beverages) and are the right balance of flavorful without being too sweet. And today, I ordered a Chicado on Ciabatta. Oh my word. By far one of the best sandwich’s I’ve ever had. So filling, so flavorful. And of course, the staff are lovely, helpful, and ever patient. By far one of my fav coffee shops in all of Athens 💛

Wow, I was extremely disappointed in the quality of this coffee shop. It has a cute vibe and good reviews so I had high hopes. But when I received my matcha latte and avocado toast, I was in shock. Selling avocado toast that looks like this? Just a piece of white bread with a little bit of avocado haphazardly added on. No toppings, no seasoning. Then, in my matcha latte, there was no matcha to be found, just a cup of iced milk. I’m not one to write reviews normally but wow was I so upset that I had just spent $17 here.

We delighted over a french toast latte and the banana bread latte. Off the chart good. Hand made syrups and smooth brew. Now I just wonder how the expresso martini is….to be continued! Hidden Gem!

This is such a cute space! I’m from Seattle and it was very comfortable and refreshing. There’s a space for kids and family with a lot of board games. The food was IMMACULATE! There is also plenty of outlets and 2 wifi points for anyone who would like to sit and work here.

I have always LOVED the striplings location that is further south but for some reason every time I try this location it disappoints me. The customer service is not on the same level whatsoever here. I visited today and the cashier just stared at me waiting for me to bag my own things. Don’t like your job maybe find another one and stop taking it out on people who are nothing but polite to you. I will continue to support the Cordele location but this was the final straw for me on Perry store. I do hope management can learn to match the level of service for both locations.

Glad we made this pitstop! They had hot fresh meals (ham, turkey, brisket…), doubles as a grocery store & gift shop. Everything was clean and there were seasonal items for decor as well. Love the decorated haystacks they had out front.

Great general store with local sweets, jams, sauces etc. They have full line of produce, meats, dry goods as well as a great lunch/snack bar. Very friendly staff but the produce price reflects the unique local selection.

Great country style store amazing rare fines. Fabulous selection of butcher quality meats, and seafood. Fun pantry items you can't find at big box stores. Plenty of different types of jerky and meat sticks. Speciality jellies, jams, BBQ sauces, candies and baked goods. Household goods cutting boards, aprons, kitchen decor one of a kind items. Amazing fresh hot BBQ with delicious side dishes. Attentive courteous staffing throughout the store.

I've eaten at the original location which at the time had cosy, full service. I chose to go to the newer location at The Falls of Oconee figuring there would be more parking available. But this rendition isn't full service. This location is order at the counter. The staff does at least help you buss the table at the end of your meal. This location was ideal families with small children and there are several child seats and unisex bathrooms equipped with diaper changing. Food wise, this was not as good as I remember. I ordered Truck Stop Biscuit and Gravy. This comes with a Sweat Tea Brined Chicken Breast and Sausage Gravy. I asked if I should order extra Gravy and was told no. But the Gravy doesn't fully cover both sides of the biscuit. This is the same situation with the piece of Chicken. This dish has Scambled Eggs on top of the Gravy. There is no real discernment of Sausage in this Gravy. The Biscuit is large and soft. The Potato Hash is plain with Onions and Green Peppers or flavoring and spices. I had Sweat Tea but it tasted a bit stale. My dining companion had a Bacon, Egg, and Cheddar Biscuit but it was missing the Cheddar. He asked for a small Milk but this was really sized for a child. As a side dish, I ordered Bacon. For $4.99 I got two pieces of bacon. Ambiance does not compare to the original location. My dining companion was my first guest In town and came during Christmas Holiday. I had really wanted this to be a nicer meal. In the future, I would not bring a guest to this location.

I know tons of people eat here, food portions will do that. But i dont think it's so special that I'd wait more than 15-20 minutes to get a table. The location was good and they do a fair job of checking up on you. All-n-all id say it was a pleasant experience with 7.5-8 out of 10.

Loved the cheese grits, just not quite enough food, the french toast topping was great but the bread was boring. I am not sure if it actually got battered dipped or just came close to an egg plus it was hardly grilled, so very tasteless.I put vanilla & cinnamon in my mix. I see this all the time and I rarely order it out because its usually disappointing which is sad because it’s not rocket science.. 1) lay the bread in the egg batter making sure THE CRUST GETS COATED, FLIP N REPEAT, 2) then grill to golden brown in butter not oil, cooked until its not soggy. Trying to imagine the cooks thought process … if I soak it then it takes too much time to cook. 🤔 I prefer to wait rather than eating a piece of warm grilled bread. Servers were kind, place has zero atmosphere, the plastic fern in a pot outside HAS GOT TO GO! 😱

If you like Mama's boy, then you will enjoy this popular location. I've never been where there wasn't at least a few minutes wait to be seated, but once you place your order (counter service order) it comes fairly quickly to your table. This is a mix between counter service and a table service style restaurant with more of a sit down feel. It's uptown home style southern mainly breakfast (with a few sandwiches and salads) cooking with huge fluffy biscuits and jam.

The menu was really creative and exciting. We would have loved everything we ordered except none of it was hot. Literally everything came out room temperature. Cheese grits are only good if the cheese melts. Butter didn’t melt on the waffles. Having warm food would have made it next level.

Do not order delivery from here. I ordered at 6pm. It's 8:37pm...I'm still waiting. This is AFTER calling them, not once, but TWICE!! NEVER AGAIN ETA- its 905pm. I finally got my order. 3 hours for 1 item! Unbelievable! Needless to say I've canceled my Chick-fil-A delivery subscription. 😫 I expect this service from low quality ff restaurants, not Chick-fil-A.

Why can yall never give me my creamy salsa dressing when I order it. I always get home and then I have no sauce to eat my meal with so the food is just wasted or I have to drive all the way back. I love yall but seriously it’s an issue

I go to this Chick-fil-A nearly everyday because I work close by and this is probably the best service I’ve gotten at any restaurant, any Chick-fil-A so far. All the people are really nice, especially Pollyanna (my bad if I’m spelling that wrong) and Coleman. They’re my goats and really great people, I’d recommend coming here to anyone.

Chick-fil-A is pretty good fast food, and everyone knows it. Unfortunately, the business promotes hateful and bigoted ideals that run counter to my own. I don't believe in hate or in policing how others live their lives (as long as they don't harm anyone else). So, even though I usually like whatever I get at Chick-fil-A, I rarely visit because I don't want my money to support a franchise that hides behind the label of "Christian" without actually practicing Christian values - or simply treating all people with dignity and care. If you like and support Chick-fil-A, this location will get the job done, but it's mediocre at best. You might look for another one if service and attention to detail are important to you. Also, if I felt comfortable supporting Chick-fil-A's corporate values (to be crystal clear, I do not), I'd still visit less often than in the past because of the transition to car-centric drive-through culture.

I'm not sure why, but everything tastes better down here as opposed to NYC locations. The service alone would make me consider moving down here. I ordered lunch during breakfast-time and they accommodated me without a problem.

They are amazing and very nice. Customer service is exceptional. They mailed me a hand written note with some gift cards once because of an order issue. Seriously… who do you get a hand written note from these days? Chick-fil-a that’s who! We all could learn a few things from Chick-fil-a.

Came to this location on Monday and got a stomach virus shortly after eating. I had to go to the hospital for this stomach virus I got from here. The food was not cooked thoroughly and was cold. They are usually a good location but I will probably not come here again.

To start off Chick-fil-a is one of my favorite places to eat. The costumer service is great in any location that I have attended. However, this time we made a big purchase and in one of a kids meal we found a long hair inside the nugget. My baby sister pointed out who is 2 years old. VERY DANGEROUS IF SHE WOULD HAVE ATE IT. Now me and family are scared to go back to eat at chick fil a!

First time eating at Chik-fil-a in years. The drive thru ordering was new and confusing to me. The wait wasn't long. Food was hot and fresh. Employees were nice.

I ordered a Chick-fil-A Deluxe and was absolutely disgusted to find two long hairs with roots inside the sandwich — stuck between the patty and the lettuce. It immediately triggered my gag reflex. We were driving from Georgia to the Carolinas with my husband and baby, and this ruined the start of our trip. We had to turn around and go back to return it. No apologies, no surprise, nothing — they just swapped the sandwich with a cold and unfriendly attitude. Also, I noticed that none of the employees were wearing hairnets or hats — when has that ever been acceptable at Chick-fil-A? So disappointed.

Chick fil a seems to get orders wrong often and are far from generous with their food. Whether it’s lacking a pickle or shorting on fries, this is becoming a common occurrence. I’m frustrated because CFA boasts on being a company of doing things w/ excellence. They rarely fill up their fries and they do not seem to stay on top of quality check before food goes out. I’m a pickle only, no sauce kind of guy, so having no pickles matters when it comes to enjoying this sandwich. CFA you have to do better.

I went to this location at 11:23 at night, and sat at a table. No waitress ever came to take an order or help me. At 12 a.m. they sent a cop over to tell me that it was time to leave because doors close at 12. If they DON NOT WANT TO WAIT ON CUSTOMERS THEN TELL THEM SO WHEN THEY ARRIVE!!! NOT AFTER THEY'VE SAT FOR MORE THAN A HALF HOUR!!!

If you get mad at these great employees it’s just because they are overwhelmed in bar central on a Crazy Party night. I’ve been in here 3 times late at night. 2 times it was CRAZY and they were all working their butts off. Nice people from my experience. Tonight it’s slow and they are so kind and attentive. Food rating is good, just the same as all other Waffle Houses I’ve been to.

I would leave 0 stars if I could. Staff gives no regards for incoming guests, completely ignored a party of two despite there being 6 workers. When I asked if we could order, I was directly told I cannot and must wait. Waited for 20 minutes and then walked out. Terrible customer service and staff doesn’t care. Tables were open and staff didn’t care to even say hello or get orders.

We entered as customers but left as friends. It’s no surprise with Waffle House - they’re uniformly clean and good - but this location offers a bit extra: a warm spirit, a joie de vivre. It is a place ordinary moments become memories and warrants a special spot at the top of your Athens list. Everyone from the host to the kitchen staff to the man who guards the door provided smiles and a kind word. We cannot wait to return.

Wow! I was shocked! Never have seen a Chick-fil-a this dirty! Paper/food on floor. Dirty tables & trash cans (3) over flowing! Also Nuggets getting smaller! Food was good! Fries cooked good, usually try to get them well done so they’re not flimsy! But they don’t offer well done fries here. Also flowers on tables need to be thrown away or replaced. They been on tables a while.

When you go to a chick fil a, compared to other fast foods, you expect good to great customer service, in here I felt nothing but ignored, when we first came in with our family trying to enjoy some good time together, we completely got ignored, not even acknowledged by a couple workers when we were standing trying to place our order, also I stood up at the register for a solid 7 minutes trying to get a refill my drink, where a few workers saw me and completely dismissed me, and it was then when I asked a worker to help me, she was honestly very nice and respectful, but honestly I am extremely disappointed with how I was treated. I will not be returning here due to the fact that a mcdonalds drive thru has better customer service than what I experienced.

not the first time i’ve had issues here & it’s not even a big deal, but it’s the SAME issue everytime and it’s a big deal to me, because this chicken as only as good as the amount of sauce you have for it. if i say TWO sauces MULTIPLE times EVERYTIME i go through the drive through, and i end up with the wrong sauce, 1 sauce or NONE. this doesn’t seem like it should be a problem.

Usually Chic Fil A prides itself on service. This one isn’t following through on the training. A frosted lemonade was delivered to the table without straw or spoon or napkin. 7 mins later we hadn’t gotten our fries and brownie yet. Went to the front and asked for it. There was a bit of the staff going back and forth on that (blame game). Then they finally get the fries and brownie and put it into a bag. The bag sat there. I sat there staring at the bag as they filled other bags with sauces. Eventually I had to ask for the bag and a tray since we were dining in. Everything tasted good. It just wasn’t the experience I’m used to.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in. We were able to promptly give our order. We had several rewards to redeem and the cashier was still pleasant and friendly. I didn't know the name of a dressing however I was able to describe it to her and she knew exactly what it was. It's always a pleasure visiting a Chick-fil-A especially this location.

Made my order wrong and I had turn around after halfway driving home. No apologies. They took the food back through the window and I am assuming the mgr didn't apologize and told the Asian guy at the window to just throw it away. He had the personality of a rock. Not polite or courteous at all. I had to ask for my 2nd salad, they didn't even take the time to look at my previous order that I made to correct. Barnett Shoals is the best location hands down. I will NEVER go to this location again..

The fries was horrible. They was very hard and burnt and the sad part about it was a manager that was serving them. All three of my fries was burnt and hard never in my life. Have I ever went to a Chick-fil-A and I had a issue until I came to this one.

I was traveling through the area and decided to stop in for lunch. This location was extremely busy. I had a hard time finding a parking spot. The interior was chaotic with customers. I decided to find a table and order on the app. Everything came out much quicker than I expected and was piping hot. I can totally appreciate consistency of product no matter the location. CFA has an excellent reputation for and does not disappoint. I look forward to every visit to one of there locations. Bubba has done a good job at keeping the core of the business model prevalent even after Truett’s passing. Long live the chicken sandwich…… and the nuggets too!

Food is great, service is great. The wait for the drive thru is absolutely ridiculously long. Slowest Chick-fil-A in Athens for sure. I’m shocked they haven’t fixed this problem. The drive thru line has to sit out on Epps bridge pkwy. Slow line for sure, I try to avoid this restaurant because of the line/traffic.

Chick-Fil-A is the greatest! Can't decide if the food or the service is better. Both are spectacular. Love that it's also built on Christian principles. Definitely feel at home here!

The worst Chick-fil-A in Athens. The employees are rude they had hair on my food egg shells in my salad everyday I go here it’s a problem so I won’t be back at this location. The manager tried to give me cards instead of my money back called me the wrong name made me get out my car for my money back I’m just over this location! The cashier gave me the wrong change back. I can keep going that’s how terrible this location is !

Chick Fil A. You know what you are getting. This place has nice service. Everyone is pleasant. This is a chain, so the three is because I don't love the salad options. Plus we need diversity in soups. I know this is a Chick Fil A thing, but I am leaving feedback.

I can probably count on one hand how many times I have actually gotten my food from the actual drive thru. I am constantly parked and sit waiting on food. It only happens at this particular Chick-fil-A. Makes no sense, because it’s not like I come at the same time.

Waited almost an hour and spent $80 on a to go order just for half of our food to be missing and one had a fly flying around inside the container and it flew out when we opened it. We ordered a chicken sausage because of diet restrictions but we received actual pork sausage instead, we ordered a waffle and two hash browns but didn’t get any of it, and the one order of hash browns we did get were all burnt and was such a small amount, and the birthday cake waffle had a hair on it.

HORRIBLE WAFFLE HOUSE! I have never had this kind of experience in a waffle house before. I'm so disappointed! I'm so sorry if anyone gets offended, but this is the whole true. This is a "white" only restaurant. The matter fact is that one black cooker doesn't count. Because all the servers and clients are white! That's not the problem. The problem is we are Hispanics, brown colored. They discriminated against us badly! They ignored us! They oversee we waiting for 1.5 hrs for a table, and they keep seating white people and ignoring us. Until I stand up and demand a table, they give us one. I thought at that moment everything would change, but heck not! They took our order and brought it 30 minutes later, they keep skipping us! They served a few tables of white people they just arrived. Matthew is the worst! He just gave us the look and ignored us. Our food came cold. The coffee was only colored water. I left a tip because I'm not like them. Will NEVER return to that location. I tried to give some time and benefit of the doubt on this location. However, almost every time I've been here it's been the worst Waffle House experience. One time, I got served my drink pretty quickly but then no one ever came back to take my food order. So, I left some money on the table and left. Another time, my friend and I were eating lunch. We were greeted at the door but no one ever said anything after that. After about 20 minutes of sitting with no silverware and no drink order taken, we were looking around the restaurant and finally a waitress came over. She took our full order, even wrote it down then asked if I wanted sweet tea, I had said Coke. I also asked for my bacon well done and it was barely cooked. Waffle House is known for Good Food Fast but I have never had fast at this location. Not even hustle.

This was the first square Waffle House that I have been to. Most of them are rectangular but I liked that it was different. The service here was adequate but the food wasn’t that great. Don’t get me wrong, I love Waffle House food but this time it just didn’t taste the same. The grits and toast had a burnt taste. The waffle still had batter around the edges. My coffee was ok but not great…I certainly enjoy my Waffle House back home much better.

This is the second time food was great as usual but waitress is little rude as usual. Won't go to this waffle house again although I'll surely go to others.

The staff didn't know Waffle House served omelets, They were cussing each other at one point. The server and cook forgot my sausage and when I got it ,it was almost burnt. I ordered ubereats and ordered a sausage egg and cheese McGriddle..with no bacon. I received a plain McGriddle with 2 pieces of bacon. No cheese. No sausage. No egg. Idk what they're doing in the kitchen but yall need to hire other people obviously if they can't cook a simple McGriddle

Ordered a Big Mac, no lettuce/no onion, and keep everything else. This is what I got. No sauce ANYWHERE on the Big Mac (then why order a Big Mac? This is bs.) and literally the toppings I ordered not there, with toppings I asked to not he there are the ONLY ones remaining. This isn’t a simple ‘we forgot to take it off, whoops!’ They either gave me the wrong burger completely without checking, or really really mis-read their own order screen. I’d say I’d give it 0 stars, but at least they remembered the no ice.

Went through drive through and passenger needed to use bathroom, which was locked. Staff refused to open bathroom without purchase and when passenger informed the poorly trained person that I was in the drive through she proceeded to get smart and not open the bathroom. By the time he got in the bathroom it was too late. Poor service by lady. 1/10 would not come back again

When in the drive-through, the display on my lane was showing the order details and totals for the adjacent lane and not my order. Despite having to park and wait for my order, the french fries were cold. By cold I don't mean not blazing hot, I mean they were room temperature like they never even saw a heat lamp. The burger that was being made to order was not hot either but the biggest issue was the excessive amount of grease that was soaking through not only the carton of the burger but the bag as well. The staff was kind and courteous during all interactions.

The people here are so rude. I was getting ready to pay and this guy screamed at me because I was getting the money right. Then I pull up to the window where I get my food and I didn’t get what I ordered and payed for and I tell the guy and he starts cussing me out and slammed the window. I gave a one star review because it doesn’t let me give a 0.

Good service, very friendly. Hamburgers were great but fries were not cooked enough. A bit of a wait but like I said, bacon quarter pounders were great!!

My patty melt was burned and they forgot to put the onions on it. The lady who took my order was very kind, but she wasn’t properly trained and couldn’t figure out how to get my giftcard to work, so I couldn’t use it. I truly only came because I had a giftcard. I was then handed my togo order and realized they had forgotten the waffle. Overall not a great experience…

I love Waffle House. I grew up near Avondale Estates where is all started and have enjoyed eating breakfast and other meals here for over 50 years. Excellent food and service. That’s why I’m SHOCKED at how rude the waitress was at this specific Waffle House this morning to me and my 91 year old father. We sat down at an available table and she yelled at us “YOU’RE GONNA HAVE TO GET UP TILL I FINISH CLEANING THAT AND I’M READY FOR YOU!” I told her she was rude - asked for the manager, told him she was rude and we left. Enjoying breakfast at Cracker Barrel across the street instead!

Food's usually great, customer service pretty good too. But every time I come here, most of the tables seem to be full of the trash from the previous customer. I don't know if they only clear tables in waves or what, but it needs to be done more quickly. Half the tables are empty but they all have dirty dishes on them. And all but the counter seats is empty and the all too have dirty dishes in front of them today. I shouldn't have to wait for someone to clear a seat when there's that many empty seats.

So, this happened the other day to my good friend. They will not get my business ever again! Let’s make this waffle house famous!!!! “ I walked into a Waffle House, sat down, never acknowledged. Waited a few minutes. A white couple and child enter: “Hey, welcome to Waffle House. We’ll be with you in just a second.” Me: still waiting… Waitress goes to them with silverware and starts taking their order. “ Goodbye.🚶🏾‍♂️😑

Yeah, I’m working out of town and I come to this Waffle House quite often because it’s the only thing that’s open when I come to eat but today one of the servers splashed me in the face with water and the cook was 15 to 20 minutes late sitting in her car and the one that splashed me in the face was sitting in her car as well for 15 to 20 minutes however, my server was very nice when I got splashed in the face with water. I left immediately because I would’ve said something I should have And the thing is I tip well and my server was going to get a very good tip that day because she was the only one that was working at the Moment

We came here to have breakfast and we enjoyed our meal and were served very kindly and friendly by the staff. Especially Alexis was very kind and she always checked in with us if we needed anything. Thank you very much. When we come back to Athens, Waffle House is definitely going to be our breakfast spot again! Hashbrowns, eggs, chicken sausage, and waffle with peanut butter chips were all super delicious!
