Good place for classic American-style breakfast. No mess, no fuss, just the good stuff. I got some chocolate pancakes with bacon, sausage, and scrambled eggs with cheese. Food was good for the price and portion. Perfectly average, and there's nothing wrong with that. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Food came out surprisingly fast despite how busy it was. Biggest selling point is their pies: I was convinced to take home a slice of cherry and now I wish I bought a full pie 😭

Great place to enjoy breakfast. Parking is a bit tight and wait times can vary but definitely worth a visit. Our server was sweet and awesome and always around. Food came out on time and was delicious.

Awesome place for a quick bite! I came with my son to have breakfast before heading out to Shenandoah National Park. The service was great. The waitresses were very friendly and quick to seat us and take our order. My son got some pancakes and I got an order of Sunnyside up eggs with hash browns, a toasted buttered English muffin, and some biscuits with sausage gravy. All the food came out super quick and was delicious. I really like how they turned my sons pancakes into a pig. The only minor gripe for me was the amount of sausage in the gravy. I think it should had a little bit more, but considering the very fair prices, it's not much of an issue. The coffee here was also excellent. We also got a fruit cup for dessert which was a perfect ending to our meal. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but we had no issue finding seating. It was very clean and had a very welcoming atmosphere. Pricing was very fair considering the food portions (not huge, just definitely more than fair). We definitely would've made a second visit to try the other offerings, but we didn't have time. This place is definitely recommended for anyone in the area.

The food was truly worth the wait! Come hungry because you will be leaving with a full stomach no matter what you get. Highly recommend the omelettes and pancakes

We stopped here by chance on our vacation. The food was amazing! It was so good we went back the next day… Our waitress remembered us and had our drinks ready before we ordered! She made the experience wonderful! The home made pies and desserts were delicious. If we are ever in this area again we will stop in again! Thank you so much for the great experience!

A friend and I drove from Winchester for breakfast and it was definitely worth the trip!! It was so busy when we arrived, we got the last table! I have a baby in a car seat and the staff were so thoughtful in trying to get us the best table to fit the baby. Our server was a sweet older lady. She was so friendly and attentive and something about her made you feel like you were at grandmas house! I got an omelette and I thought it was great. No big to-do just a normal omelette and I loved it. My friend got the French toast meal and it looks delicious, she said it was great! The prices were very reasonable and the place was cute! I will be back and I recommend others try it!

Great food and service. Makes sense that they win best breakfast few years in a row locally. Staff is really friendly and lived the sausage and the potatoes. Would absolutely come here again.

First visit after placing an order to pick up before we made an impromptu drive up Skyline Drive. The fact that you can do online order was very convenient. Food was decent and came out by promised time. This is your typical, locally owned small town spot that is well liked by patrons. Interior was clean and spacious.

A great little spot. We were traveling home from Shenandoah and love Front Royal. A cute little town. We needed some coffee and did not want a chain store. Found you all just driving by! Delicious latte! A lot of flavors to choice from. Also added a Blueberry hand pie. Get one, warm it up! Yum!!!

Daily Grind Coffee in Front Royal is the perfect spot to fuel up before a day of exploring. Their iced lattes are smooth and bold, easily one of the best in the area. It’s a laid-back place with friendly staff and reliably good coffee and food.

We had a great time eating here! The sandwiches were delicious, and the servers were friendly and helpful. If you’re near Front Royal, definitely stop by 😊

First visit: cute little place. Was disappointed by the quality of this particular meal however. Both of us had the chicken salad sandwich, one on wheatberry toast and the other on croissant and both agreed it was very bland. Also ordered waffle fries and they were a little more on the soft side, as opposed to crispy. Honey mustard was standard and yummy! Cashier was friendly. Would give them another try. Just a little underwhelmed with this particular visit.

Way better than Dunkin’ or Starbucks! The coffee here is delicious—rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. If you’re tired of the same old chains, this spot is a refreshing change. While the customer service could use a little polish, it’s not enough to keep me away. The quality of the coffee makes it worth the drive every time. Definitely a hidden gem!

Fantastic location downtown Front Royal. Great ambiance and quite large interior for sitting with great decor and antique feels. The service was great and accurate. I got the avacado toast with scramble eggs and it was amazing and the toast was perfect. The latte was a bit burned so I wish it were better. Will come back again.

I don’t know that we have ever been disappointed by a Cracker Barrel! We have kind of made it a tradition in our family to stop at a Cracker Barrel on the first night of a family vacation, and stopped here on our way to Luray. I had their country fried chicken for the first time in years and it was delicious! My wife had the seasonal Foil wrapped grill beef dinner and it was also very good.

Met our kids and Granddaughters for a Grandparent swap of the Grandkids for a few days of adventures. Our Granddaughters loved the eggs hashbrowns and biscuits. My son and I went with the classic Chicken and Dumplings. My Daughter and Law had the Mommas Breakfast. My wife had meatloaf broccoli and carrots. The Grandkids were able to squeeze us adults for some toy battery plush pets and of course candy (My wife and I got some too) Neecos and Cherry Sours. Mallory was an 👌 awesome server and we'll be back I'm sure !!

Good food with lunch specials. I had the chicken with broccoli cheese and grits. Chicken was moist and flavorful and just the right size. Server kept refilling my water glass and the wife's coffee. No issues. Plenty of parking.

Absolutely fantastic! The food was incredible — generous portions at an unbeatable price, with flavors that felt truly homemade. The service was exceptional, easily the best we’ve experienced on our road trip so far. Our greeter and server were warm, friendly, and professional. We arrived around 8 PM, knowing they closed at 9 PM, yet we never felt rushed. A perfect dining experience from start to finish!

I was not gonna go back to Cracker Barrel after I heard you change your sign. And you’re changing so many of the things that I loved about Cracker Barrel. But when I heard you weren’t changing your sign and I would still get the same great atmosphere. I got up that morning. Went to breakfast at Cracker Barrel.

Cracker Barrel is always good, always consistent. Today, we made the choice to take take-out. I probably won't do that again. The food was OK, but some things just don't reheat the same! I will give 5 stars because the service was amazing, and the atmosphere is great, as always!

11/19/24. Stopped at Cracker Barrel for lunch and it was good timing. It was to crowded and we were seated right away. You can never go wrong at a Cracker Barrel for lunch. They have a daily special. If you order the special the food comes out pretty quick. Today they had a fire burning in the fire place. The food was very good today but I could have had just a little more gravy for my potatoes.

We had a late lunch after visiting Luray Caverns. A little hidden behind a CVS and located in a small business district. Outstanding server. Great menu with traditional American food. Very reasonably priced. Most expensive item was a 14 oz rib eye for 23,99 Clean restroom.

​Disappointing breakfast experience. My cheese and bacon omelet was severely lacking in flavor and execution. The 'bacon' appeared to be more like bacon bits mixed into the eggs, paired with a single slice of orange cheese. The side potatoes were utterly bland—simply cut potatoes with no seasoning. Even adding salt couldn't save the meal. Service was also lackluster; the waitress had no personality. As a fan of small diners, this one unfortunately missed the mark.

The food is good and the service is excellent. It is affordable and is simple with many choices. I like Moms. They have a lot of choices for a mom and pop store. It is a choice of many locals. It shows the service is good and it is right sized for a local favorite. I go there because of the food, the service and it's convenient for me. I do not have to go out of my way, and I don't have to pay for overpriced food.

Great service, bad food. This tiny chicken party was advertised as a crispy chicken sándwich. The pattywas comically small compared to the bun. The meat is all processed food from a frozen box.

Waffles are amazing, bacon was cooked nicely but came out room temperature, waffles made up for the bacon though. Must stop restaurant, especially for breakfast!

Stopped by on the way to Morgantown. The service was excellent. We were greeted and a table was prepared for our group of 7 quickly. Food was ordered and delivered quickly. Prices are very reasonable. I ordered a cheeseburger lunch. Food was good.

This used to be a destination place to enjoy a home cooked dinner and some fabulous pie. However, the quality of the food has deteriorated and the pies were very disappointing. Our roast turkey dinner no longer had nice thick slices of meat, but two shaved and very thin pieces of turkey. The pies were overcooked to the point that my pecan pie tasted burnt. We won’t be back.

Exactly my kind of place. Small. Low cost. Great service. I don't care about the fancy tables. Excellent ham and cheese omelette. Fast. Friendly. Recommended by a good friend, and definitely worth it.

This is just a little old school. Diner with really good food and great service. I like the atmosphere, I felt like I'd gone back into the 1950s. I have the bacon, cheeseburger and fries which were very good and for a reasonable price. If you like Mom and Pop type restaurants, this is definitely a go-to if you're in the area of the north entrance of Shenandoah.

Bring Cash! Great, simple and inexpensive breakfast. The restaurant is charming on the outside and definitely well loved on the inside. I wish there was endless money and they could restore it to what it looked like 'back in the day.' Aside from the aging interior, it was a yummy, easy, fast and super inexpensive breakfast. Nothing fancy, nothing crazy, just homecooked breakfast. Look past the visual and enjoy what definitely seems to be a local favorite. Constant flow of people into the area while we enjoyed breakfast. This place is a ton of fun. I understand that it has a lot of history. But the overall vibe is just fantastic. Needed a burger after a long day in Shenandoah before a long drive north. And it hit the spot. Fun work. Take a stop!

Really nice small diner and lounge vibe. Has a small bar with a few stools. All tables are booth style with basic condiments. Ate here multiple times and both times, the servers were friendly and the food was great.

My friend and I had a corned beef hash omelette. It was awful. Okay, it was edible. We didn't get sick, but it was the worst omelette either one of us had. I'd still go back because it's a very cool place and brings back memories from my days at Christendom College.

Have been here several times, the food is always tasty. They have a southern kick to their food, the Honey Dipped Chicken being the best on the menu. It is hand-breaded at the Knotty Pine, fried to a perfect crisp on the outside, while being juicy and tender on the inside. You can't go wrong with a side of green beans either, flavorful ham ties it all together. You are able to smoke inside, and if it is crowded- some may have some trouble with the cloud, but usually it is not an issue. The waitresses are not the most personable, and do not expect them to come back and check on you more than once. Depending on who is working, ordering drinks from the bar isn't always the best idea. Some seem to be more experienced bartenders than others, and it shows in the quality of the drinks. The cooks are kind and easy-going, even more pleasant to speak to than the waitresses. I would recommend Knotty Pine for others looking for a delicious old fashioned meal at a decent price.

I feel that with all the restaurants that fail service and quality would be important, it was disappointing I had to keep requesting refills, the pancakes were burnt, the eggs over medium were cooked well, my wife's sandwich was missing the hashbrowns. I was dissatisfied, and at one time, it was my favorite. I have been disappointed too many times at the price they charge now. I do not feel IHOP will be at the top of my list for a while. My wife ordered the steak tips as a side, and it was less expensive ordering another meal and adding it as a side.

Although the chicken was good in my dish the broccoli was under cooked and the stuffing was a blob on the plate. And i never received the garlic bread which comes with the dish. The crew was not experienced. The register girl did not know how to take mixed payment (cash and charge).

Today we ordered chicken salad at the restaurant 3 times. The first time we decided it was an accident. The second time - that we were simply unlucky. But today we realized that this is a pattern. 1. Cut the salad in such a way that one association arises, you are either preparing food for the pigs, or you just do not care if your client gets a jaw dislocation trying to eat these leaves or not. 2. Amount of chicken and other ingredients. Everything can be seen in the photo. 2 slices of tomato, chunks of chicken that cannot be chewed and a huge amount of greens that you definitely did not regret. Guys, let's work better and respect our clients!

Food was hot and fresh. It tasted better than the average quality you would expect from a chain restaurant. Our service left something to be desired. We visited mid morning on a Saturday. The restaurant was less than 50 percent full when we arrived. There was more than enough wait staff to accommodate the guests who were seated, as well as those who would arrive after us. We waited for about 10 minutes before our server, Alberto, attended to us. He took our drink orders and was gone, before even giving us an opportunity to put our food order in. We then sat for nearly 15 minutes, waiting for our drink order. During this time, our server was not on the floor, seeing to other tables. Around the time that a member of management stopped by our table to ask us how we were doing, our waiter re-appeared with our drink order, just as we were mentioning that we had not even had a chance to put our food order in. There were tables who were seated after us, who were served food before us. Our food took another 15 minutes or so to come out to the table. The food was at least worth the wait. It was hot and freshly made. The chicken breast with my waffle was juicy and crispy. When it was time to pay our check, my husband presented our waiter with his military ID and requested their discount. We were told, again by our server, of course, I will take care of that for you. He promptly left our table, bank card in hand. Stopped to take orders from a couple of new tables. We were up with our jackets on ready to leave, and wound up sitting back down, to wait for my husband's debit card. When the card slip was finally brought to us, it was evident that the discount was not applied to our total. Very poor attention given to us by our server. I would go back for the food, but would request to be sat in any one but this server's section. I also feel that the manager should have followed up with us, after we had expressed our mild discontent about how long we had been waiting to place our food order.

Overall it was a great breakfast but it was absolutely freezing inside. We wound up rushing to finish just to leave because it was SO freaking cold.

Crunchy MASHED POTATOES!! Uncooked! You'd think after 45 minutes waiting the food would be cooked. Hardly anyone in the restaurant but waited 45 mins for under cooked food. I thought I would go and try this place again after the last time I had bad food. BIG MISTAKE.

It’s a stand alone building with a drive through as well as inside seating and service. The staff are friendly and though busy, we’re able to get our orders completed within a few minutes of placing it. It’s also the first time where we got mugs and a glass for our drinks, which was nice. Will def pass in again while in the area.

Here with my husband and all the baristas are being super judgy. "wow what an original additive" "every single drink has cold foam on it". Like if you're going to be that miserable then don't go into customer service. Starbucks' whole thing is about customization. Don't get mad when someone customizes their drink.

I accidentally placed a pick up order at the wrong location, and when I stopped in and asked if they could remake the two new coffees at this location, they said sure no problem! Super thankful for the understanding and the great customer service they showed to me today on my birthday. Thanks Starbies! ☕️

Honestly, I've been to Starbucks less often lately due to the noticeable decline in the quality of their products and the deterioration of their service. It's disheartening to see a company that was once renowned for its exceptional customer experience now seeming to prioritize profits over people. As a profitable company, I'd expect Starbucks to maintain a certain level of quality and service. However, my recent experiences have left me feeling like they're no longer invested in their customers' satisfaction. The decline in quality and service has been gradual, but it's become increasingly apparent that the company has lost sight of what made it great in the first place. And I'm not alone in my observations.

This evening, my husband went inside a Starbucks and asked for a Venti Strawberry Lemonade Blended for me (what he ordered for himself was fine) After we started down the road, I took a sip of my drink: I knew something was wrong! I checked my receipt: it said Venti Strawberry Acai Lemonade (I tried this before, didn't like it, and stayed with the Strawberry Lemonade Blended) It was too late to hunt down a Starbucks that was still open, or we'd go in and get the order made right. Then I noticed something I hadn't noticed before: on my Starbucks app, for the last several purchases, when my husband asked for and brought me Strawberry Lemonade Blended, the app has been recording Strawberry Acai Lemonade (probably why this Starbucks mistakenly gave me the wrong drink and CHARGED me for the wrong drink even though my husband asked for the right one, and until this instance, always brought me the drink I wanted! I will be contacting Starbucks Corporate office about this in am, esp. since I was charged for something different than what I received ( I have last 2 sales receipts showing this, see below), just in case I was charged more than I was supposed to be, for the drink I received.( I'll be asking Starbucks Corporate to look back in their records, for earlier purchases) . 6

The service was great however I ordered an Iced Shaken Espresso and was in disbelief on how much ICE!! The whole cup was filled to the brim with ice and the actual coffee portion was no more than a couple sips

Sucks to grab a quick dinner on your way home from a long day at work only to take 2 sips of your beverage and it's gone because some dinghy filled the entire cup to the lid with ice. There's a reason they have a line on the cup that you're supposed to fill it to. Do better.

Came through 10-35ish waited at speaker 10 mins waited in drive through 15 mins was told they were out of spicy chicken so I asked for a regular one and about 1 min later I hear a bigger guy in a visor goes “here’s your spicy chicken now Leave” in all didn’t get out of drive through till 11. Asked for water was given lemon water? Watered down lemonade maybe? food wasn’t even hot spicy chicken seemed to be made earlier was cold .. you’d think 25 min wait would serve hot food.. can’t go back and get another drink waited till 11 to serve anyone… saw them inside focused on closing instead of customers for 15 mins.. I get we all wanna go home I worked fast food for years some rules to live by 1. Make sure the customer can’t hear you talking smack. 2 if your gonna make them wait 25mins make sure the foods fresh..

I got this sausage burrito at 8:10 this morning and the wrap was so hard it stuck to the wrapper this is crazy and my strawberry smoothie was a slushy im not the one to come on here but this is crazy ive never had this here very disappointed!!

Service is great here, that i have experienced. Friendly and fast. The 3 stars for the food is fir several times i have received multiple straws yet no napkins in my food bag. Fries aren't very warm most of my trips, like they had been sitting waiting.

ordered a happy meal through drive through, they didn’t put the toy on the box, found out after 20 minutes, not worth to drive back, my kid was so disappointed.

This used to be the best McDonald's around, but this last visit was not that great. We waited about 20 mins for our food ( we dined inside ) then I was not given silverware or anything. It just seems like the place has new management and went downhill.

Not terrible, but below average McDonald's. Bathrooms were pretty gross with lots of urine on the floor. The service was very slow. It took quite awhile just to get two ice cream cones. (It was not particularly busy/crowded or anything.)

March 21, 2025. Having to write this review breaks my heart. For the longest time, this was one of the best McDonalds around. After they rebuilt, it seemed like they have had issues with consistency. One day, the service and food is awesome, next day it is slow and food is gross. For the longest time, the breakfast time service was spectacular! Fast, happy service with great food. Lately, the past few weeks, the breakfast service has rapidly declined. The wait time has gotten longer and longer. This morning, i waited 11 minutes to get a sandwich. There were only three people in front of me. I sat at the speaker for 3 minutes before anyone even acknowledged i was there. Please fix this mcdonald's! It used to be so awesome

We stopped here for a bathroom break on a road trip. The bathrooms and dining room were clean. Ordering the food was fast and easy and it came out correct the first time. This is a great location just off of the highway.

The crew made an error on one sandwich. Perfect recovery though. Polite. Clean restroom, I mention that because that's not always the case these days.

We have been through the drive thru 3 times now. And this will be the last time. We waited 25 minutes this last time after being told to pull up into one of the numbered slots. I finally had to go in and say we've been waiting forever for our food. They were waiting on Apple pies. By the time we finally got our food the french fries were cold. Sure didn't want to give them back because God only knows how long we would have had to wait for that. 3 times thru the drive thru and every time it's been like this.

Used automatic system and got food pretty quickly and was correct. The customers are the issue there. They are just rude and ill mannered.

Supposedly there was a welcome center nearby, said the sign on the highway. We drove for miles and still didn't find it. Eventually there were no more signs and we never found the welcome center. But we did find a Dunkin' location that had restrooms and donuts and that was probably better than the welcome center. You might just try making this Dunkin' your personal rest area.

This place is nice and clean. Employees are friendly and helpful. Great business they run here. The donuts are fresh and morning coffee is a treat. I also love that their WiFi is low key fast and almost nobody inside. Mostly people misty hit the drive thru, so you can come and work here.

Don't go before 10am. It routinely takes 15 minutes to get through the drive-through. Today was the last time we'll go as it took nearly 25 minutes. I saw drinks go out the window and get handed back to staff. Why not just hire more morning staff??

I always get frozen coffee at the Dunkin closest to me. My job is in Front Royal so I go to this Dunkin. The people there are super nice. My only problem is at this one my coffee separates. The slush is clear ice at the top and all the coffee is at the bottom. I try mixing it and that only helps for about a minute and then it separates again. I hope this can be fixed because it just ruins the whole coffee.

Customer service was great with fast, friendly service. The only issue I had was with my iced matcha latte. I got home and it turns out my large drink was really only a small. Half of this cup was foam, apparently, and half of that settled before I got home. Maybe I didn't really need that much matcha, but it would be nice to get what I paid for.

We waited 15 minutes AT the drive thru window, after waiting 15 min in line. And the person at the window was rude. Last time I come here!!

Store very clean. Customer service excellent. However when I asked for LESS ice this is what I received!!

All I can say is WOW. This place should have a line down the block. The food is so good that it’s hard to describe. We had the breakfast empanada which was perfectly baked and flaky. We also had the fried pork burrito and I would drive hundreds of miles to have another one. Finished off with a snickerdoodle with buttercream frosting. It’s rare to find a place that does breakfast this well. A must-stop if you’re anywhere nearby!

Great tasting food but presentation terrible. I would have given 5 stars because the food tastes so good but this cake is for an event at work and I'm not pleased about how it looks. Will not be ordering from here for events again. It looks like someone threw it together. Not worth $40.

The only place in Front Royal you should be going for breakfast burritos. Never had a breakfast burrito that was fried before coming here and it’s an insane how delicious it is. The Raja burrito was my favorite but they’re all really good. The empanadas are so good as well. You really can’t go wrong with any of the menu items. Everything is always super fresh, hot and tastes so good. All the fried menu items are so flaky and satisfying to eat. The cupcakes are always amazing, great cake base and rich yummy frosting. It’s clear the owners/ employees take a lot of pride in their food. Amazing restaurant I wish them all the best <3

The breakfast burritos and cinnamon rolls are so so so GOOD! The cupcakes are really pretty and delicious. Will definitely be back to try more burritos and cupcakes. Staff are really nice. Everything looked very clean too!

Hands down the best cupcakes! Seriously, it's the best cupcake I've ever tasted! Huge variety, and they actually taste as good as they look. The flavors are incredible, and they are moist and delicious. 🧁 Now let's talk empanandas......OMGosh! The Cuban empanadas was a burst of flavor and so good. Today, they were sold out of the Cuban, so I tried the corn street, I believe is what they called it. The building is super cute, decorated, very classy, and it's super clean! The parking is easy, and there are several pull-ups to the door spots and additional street parking. The staff is super sweet, and the owner is amazing. Give her any custom idea, and she can make it. I saw one time she posted a custom cupcake that looked like an apple. Don't live in Front Royal? Neither do I. I actually live over an hour away, but I can tell you it's totally worth the drive!!!! I also recommend ordering your favorites ahead of time so you know they will be there for your trip. Sorry for the bad pics in my car, but I knew I would inhale the goodies before I made it home. ☺️ I've been here now multiple times, and I'm always impressed with the quality. Previously, I ordered a massive amount for my employees, and everyone was asking where they came from they were so good. Return visit, even more amazing than last time. The chocolate raspberry were out of this world delicious.

Burritos, empanadas, cupcakes, and cinnamon buns are the best around. Service is great and there are different varieties every time we go.

Simply outstanding! Been eyeing this place for a while and I am so glad I finally made it in! This small bakery sure packs a punch with a great selection of savory and sweet treats. I had the chance to try 6 of their empanadas, all flavorful, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The crust was crispy and the inside combined the following with cheese. The aji verde (creamy) and chimichurri sauce were amazing! I would definitely buy them by the bottle if available. I also tried the tres leches cupcake and was amazed at how spongy and delicious it was. A second trip to try the rest is already in the books, as I cannot wait to taste the rest of their delicious looking offerings. Whether you're on your way somewhere or enjoying the day, make sure to do yourself a favor and try them out!
