Got tricked going through the Shinkansen gates to discover there was very limited food options on the other side in the ticketed area. Nice seating area although the tables are too close together especially with a lot of people having luggage. Nice warm lighting and I liked the mural of Hiroshima sights on the wall. This Japanese McDonald's is very impressive!they talk a little English but they will take your order correctly and if you are eating at the restaurant you will be given a number and then they will bring your meal to your table. It is very clean and they put partitions between every table due to Covid 19.They have feeding chairs for babies and toddlers. The Menu is a bit different but yes they have everything you would want in any mcdonalds for example they have Shrimp burgers. The portion is a little bit smaller than American portions but it is enough to fill your belly.This mcdonalds is wheelchair accessible and there is parking space. You can also order on the McDonalds App and go to pick your order on the curb.There is a drive through also .

So i ordered their best seller. You can see it in the picture i uploaded. Thank fully I was very happy with the meat. The fries were terrible. But the mean was good. The portion was not as I was expecting as I used the picture on the menu as a reference. The fries were also very less & over salted. The staff were fantastic, the atmosphere was good too. I think the plate i ordered was 1988 yen. Beers was good, Gin and tonic was also good.

After having no luck with some other restaurants in the area we came upon Nick Stock and it was a great dining experience. The highlights of the evening were the Pepper Steak and chips, the cheeseburger in cheese sauce, and the mojitos. we couldn't help ourselves also having a sneaky margherita pizza to share on the side as well, this was a decent feed for my girlfriend and I. The food came out quick and the staff were lovely and attentive. Great easy, wholesome food, wouldnt rule out coming again.

We visited Hiroshima and were looking for a breakfast spot outside of our hotel. This place had a good menu selection for standard breakfast focused around toast. The artisan coffee was great- they use a siphone technique. Dining room was large by Japanese standards, nicely decorated and very comfortable for our family. We would recommend to anyone looking for a good breakfast before sightseeing.

Upstairs cafe thats cozy and has a nice view if you are at the windows. Was disappointed the first time we tried to come in the morning as they had a notice saying opening half an hour later so we went elsewhere as we couldnt wait. Came another day for lunch instead. Green tea smoothie was very good while the sandwiches had lots of filling but were only decent. If you are just coming for a coffee though, its a good spot.

Hotel Excel Okayama is a moderate-priced hotel in Okayama within walking distance of Okayama Castle. It is also about a 20 minute walk away from Okayama Station. You can just walk straight down the main road to the station. However, there is a tram station (Shiroshita Station) that is just across the street from the hotel that travels to Okayama Station. At this station, you will need to walk through the underground square to reach the hotel. The external facade of the hotel looks a bit old, but so do many of the buildings in the area. I think it is just indicative of the neighborhood color scheme. The rooms here are standard for a Japanese room in which they are small, but priced economically. I did have a great view of the tram stop though which made up for this. As for hotel amenities, there is a beer vending machine in the lobby as well as two restaurants in the hotel. The one downstairs serves Chinese food, while the one on the ground level serves local and Japanese Western food. I tried out the hotel breakfast one day at the Japanese Western restaurant and really enjoyed the local dishes that they had available. If you are looking for a convenient hotel near Okayama Castle, this is a good option based on its location next to the tram and Omotecho Shopping Street being nearby.

Good hotel about a 20 minute walk from Okayama station. Our AC ran quite loud so was a bit tricky being here in the summer heat alongside the fridge not being especially cold. The staff are friendly and try to be helpful alongside the attached restaurant Alo Alo being surprisingly good and affordable as hotel guests get 10% off. Also has a coin laundry so a good place to base yourself in the area at a good price. If you get the right room you'll have a great view of Okayama castle so that's cool too.

I had Lapsang Souchong tea here for the first time and it was delicious. We already miss this place and will make sure to come back next time that we are in Hiroshima. 🦔

Amazing little shop with an amazing hostess. The sandwich was really good and the hostess was so sweet. We had a long conversation with her about all the places she has visited. 10/10.

Very cute small (6 chairs) place with banh mi like sandwiches and tea from around the world. The owner is a very warm person ❤️ She adjust one food option for my friend who is vegan 🥺 Vegan/vegeterian options

I was looking for a quick & delicious meal ! I wasn’t disappointed… I am a big fan of Grilled cheese sandwiches 🥪, so that’s what I ordered. おいしい😋 I recommend adding the maple bacon !🥓 The two worker (a man and a woman) were very nice. They provide japanese and english menu, which is very nice. If you are looking for comforting but yet yummy food, this is the right place for you. Thank you !

This is a must try place. The sandwiches were amazing. I had the Rico sandwich and my husband had the holy sandwich and both were amazing. It had a NY vibe with a Japanese twist full of flavor.

Absolutely excellent! The food at Morgan is so good we ended up going back for a second visit during our trip to Hiroshima. Everything is freshly prepared, full of flavour, and beautifully presented, with some great vegetarian options too. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly, taking time to explain the menu even when the place is busy. A wonderful experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!

A little slice of America in Hiroshima! 🇺🇸🧀 I ordered the cheese sandwich and it was exactly what I was carving—super cheesy, with perfectly toasted bread and that gooey, melty goodness you’d expect from a classic American-style grilled cheese. The vibe is cool and laid-back, with retro American décor and a small, cozy setup—about 4–5 tables and a counter that seats around 3. Service was fast and friendly, and the staff speak English. Card payment is accepted. Perfect spot for a quick, satisfying bite in a chill atmosphere.

Loved the food, I had the grilled cheese and added some maple bacon 11/10. Also the atmosphere of the place was great I felt like I was back in New York for a little bit.

A very American theme cafe in the heart of Hiroshima which was very cool! I chose to have the grilled cheese and maple bacon sandwich and a Coca-Cola. Food was great and the owner was very friendly
