Located in Odaiba, Tokyo, 'bills Odaiba' is the third Japanese branch of the renowned all-day dining restaurant chain founded by Bill Granger. The restaurant offers an expansive breakfast menu featuring juicy wagyu burgers and the famous fluffy Ricotta pancake. Situated on the ground floor of Aqua City, it boasts spacious indoor and outdoor seating, although there is often a line. Despite this, the wait time is usually manageable.
Bills delivers a top-tier dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh, flavorful dishes that live up to the Australian brunch reputation. From fluffy pancakes to perfectly cooked mains, every bite was a treat. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to unwind. The decor is tranquil, tasteful, and totally on point—modern yet cozy, with a natural, airy feel that elevates the whole experience. If you're looking for a Western style breakfast, Bills in Odaiba is a solid choice. Highly recommend!

Really liked this place! Me and my family went here for breakfast and the sandwiches + the pancakes were divine! They have a vanilla milkshake that is natural vanilla made with authentic Japanese milk. And the food itself is also very authentic itself. Overall I rate everything 5 stars 💗
Fregg K — Google review
Five of the six in our party had the wagyu burger (the only kind of burger on the menu). The patty was thick and juicy, and satisfying to eat. I did, however, get a pretty bad burn when some of the juice/oil came out and dripped on my hand. Not really preventable by the restaurant, but not pleasant, so be careful when eating the burger, I guess. The fries were dry and not crispy at all. The fresh dill pickles were good, but a tad too sweet for my taste. Service was fairly half-hearted. The male waiter who greeted us and to whom we told we had 6 in our party, came to our table something like 10-15 minutes after we sat down to give us 5 sets of utensils. I had to ask for another set. Also, they didn’t give us any menus for awhile and we had to ask them for it. Any halfway decent server, especially at a restaurant in this price range, should give you a menu as they are seating you. The female server who gave us the menus started walking away before someone in our party could even ask a question. Surprisingly inattentive service, especially for Japan.

First time trying Bills, a shop with Australian flare. Coming from the US, honestly my taste is limited. Glad to try Bills and its delicious take on Australian foods plus possibly with subtle Japanese influence, maybe😋. Overall very yummy and relaxing experience. Totally casual. Service team is excellent. Will revisit. FYI, we mostly had desserts and salad since we ate too much during the day tour 🤣. Thanks for being here Bills 🤗

Friends and family always tell me that I’m very strict in my judgments of taste. So I was genuinely surprised by how excellent in taste and perfect in appearance each dish we tried from the menu was. Keep going — you’re doing extraordinary work. I’m truly thrilled.

Went on a Thursday evening and there was no wait and we were seated immediately. The atmosphere was great with low lighting and low music, and the restaurant wasn’t full. We were seated in the back as the rest of the customers were with a view of the Rainbow Bridge. Service was 5/5, very kind and attentive whenever we asked to order more or needed other stuff. We ordered their parmesean crumbed chicken, wagyu burger, hot chocolate, dark chocolate cashew mousse, and immunity shots. I had never had a hot chocolate served this way before and it was so good. Make sure to drink it while it’s warm or else the chocolate will harden and separate into small bits. My mom loved the immunity shots and the chicken, but one bit of the chicken was way too firm to cut and she had to pass. The burger tasted great as well and came with herbed fries. Would highly recommend.

Amazing place! Tasty food and nice vibes. The views are amazing too. Service is super and this is a very family friendly place too. I would come here again next time I come to Japan 🇯🇵 ❤️
A H — Google review
The restaurant has a very nice ambiance and a charm about it. The staff was nice attentive but the place was packed and our waiter was very bust. I feel like there should have been 1 more waiter on the floor to help since it was so busy. Food was good and the only reason I did not give food and service a 5 was because we waited so long for our food and it came out room temperature so it was obviously siting for a while. Plus the consistency of the cook on the bacon was off as one piece was still very chewy and noticeably under done compared to the other two. Pancakes were very good but again room temperature and could have been better hot. I did like the pork fennel sausage but it also was slightly undercooked. Overall I would recommend.

Nestled in Daikanyama, Ivy Place is a designer cafe offering a delightful array of dishes such as buttermilk pancakes, pizza, and brunch cocktails. The serene ambiance sets it apart from the bustling city with its spacious indoors adorned with antique furniture and a warm decor, as well as an expansive outdoor terrace surrounded by Japanese zelkova trees. The menu features seasonal breakfast options including homemade granola, fruit bowls, and bamboo charcoal omelettes.
Cozy restaurant in Daikanyama! Came here for lunch with a group of 4 and a dog without reservation and we queued for 30 minutes for an outdoor seat. Food was amazing, highly recommend the fried calamari and their well known pancakes. Service was top notch and drinks were fantastic as well. Would highly recommend!

This place has great food and a fantastic atmosphere. The pork loin and swordfish were delicious. The soup of the day was a tomato cream with a nice zest. I also ordered a breakfast power shake to get my energy up since I hadn’t had breakfast yet. It’s a great place for a date. We didn’t have a reservation, took us less than 10 minutes for a table but was sat in the outdoor area with the see-through tent tarp.

The food is the absolute bomb! 5000yen for the deluxe lunch let, Salad, Pasta, Main and Desert with a coffee too! Each dish was excellent with, salad had loads of goodie, the pasta was great and the fish was amazingly done! By desert time I was stuffed! Be warned don’t fill up on the complementary bread and olive oil served at the beginning or You’ll be too full!
Eddie B — Google review
Great value for the set meal! Came in absolutely starving and left satisfied by an assortment of wonderful appetisers, mains and desserts. There was a ~20 minute wait to be seated but the food itself came out fairly quickly. Nice indoor and outdoor seating available and so many cute dogs around! Overall a good experience.

This is a great restaurant, especially if you’re looking for contemporary American cuisine. It’s a bit on the expensive side for Tokyo; however, highly recommended for vegetarians/vegans. They’ll do their best to accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies. Service was top-notch.

I’ve been living in Japan for 8 years, and this is truly one of the best services I’ve experienced! Especially the staff member with yellow hair, he’s fantastic. Highly recommend trying their steak, perfectly smoky and cooked just right!
Roro R — Google review
This was in my list for quite some time. Place gets 5 star but only for ambience and location. Weekly lunch with tea/coffee and small bread is still better to go for than long unnecessary hype on weekend. The big plates are called big but as you see in pictures rather extremely moderate! Chicken and fish dishes for 2300-2500yen is rather too high for taste, quality and specially portion size! Ideally given everything they should have been priced around 1500-1600 yen hence you pay for sitting ambience than food quality! Very average if you are food lover.
Chandrika — Google review
Food was good especially as they tried to help my son with gluten free options. Thank you 🙏 the burger was good. I have chicken breast coated with bread crumbs which came with mashed potato and some green rocket and a few raw tomatoes. Only criticism is I would prefer steamed vegetables or grilled vegetables like carrots peppers etc. or grilled tomatoes rather then raw because raw tomatoes does not go with hot foods. This is the only criticism for the restaurant manager to improve for the future 👍

Eggs 'n Things Harajuku Store is a Hawaiian-inspired eatery located in Tokyo's central Harajuku district. The cafe chain offers a laid-back atmosphere and serves an all-day breakfast menu, with American-style pancakes being among the most popular items. The star of the show is their extravagant sky-high whipped cream pancakes, which attract crowds eager to capture instaworthy photoshoots.
Be prepared for a small wait outside on weekends. I got the Loco Moco and a pancake for dessert. The Loco Moco was absolutely perfect and well-made. The sauce also added vibrance to the dish. The pancake was a great dessert to wash down the food with. I sat on the terrace outside and enjoyed the breeze. Relaxing Hawaiian ukulele music was playing throughout. 10/10 - would come back again.

Eggs 'n Things in Harajuku is such a cute Hawaiian lstyle breakfast spot! The atmosphere is bright and welcoming, and it’s perfect for families or anyone craving a good brunch. The pancakes were massive and absolutely delicious definitely a must try! We arrived around 9 AM and had about a 30 minute wait, which wasn’t bad considering how popular the place is. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the overall vibe was super relaxed and family friendly. If you’re in Harajuku and looking for a solid breakfast or brunch, I definitely recommend stopping by!

Great place for pancakes 🥞🤤 Been coming here for almost a decade. Love their pancakes with various toppings. The combo really is what slaps 😙 Ordered the seasonal peach 🍑 pancakes and French toast on the last day of the special. Loved it!! In the past the seasonal pancakes are sometimes too sweet or overwhelming but they hit the perfect balance this time. They got 3 syrups for you to try even if you just get plain pancakes 🥞 Also first time for me getting the French toast. Was really skeptical about it but it was really good!! The only issue? It’s ONLY ONE. You’ll be hungry after finishing. They need a way to let you order 2 without ordering 2 dishes 😗 Crepes are good too. Used to be 3 crepes not 2 but whatever 👀 The location makes it convenient to drop by Free WiFi
James F — Google review
Had a great breakfast at Eggs 'n Things Harajuku. The pancakes were fluffy, the food was good, and the vibe lively. It’s a popular spot, so expect a short wait, but the food and friendly service make it worth it. Great option for families too.
Yuval E — Google review
Stopped by for a Western-style breakfast and had the fried potato, bacon, and pepper jack cheese omelette with pancakes on the side. The omelette was tasty but a little too buttery — the plate was practically swimming in it. That said, the pancakes were excellent. Perfect texture, fluffy, and just the right flavor. Easily the highlight of the meal. Would recommend this spot if you’re craving a solid Western breakfast in the area, especially for the pancakes.

Food 🥗: 8/10⭐ The food here was alright. Some of the dishes were great, and other ones were okay. I ordered the ham and egg sandwich and the fruit and chocolate bowl. The ham and egg sandwich was very enjoyable, but the fruit and chocolate bowl was a bit too sweet, and there was a random clump of acai ice cream at the bottom of the bowl. Service ♥️: 5/10⭐ The service was ok. The waiters were polite. However, when we ordered, they only gave our group a single menu. Atmosphere 🛋️: 6/10⭐ The atmosphere was good. The restaurant was relatively clean... Until I smelt the bathroom. As I walked in, I instantly noticed the sour stench of the bathroom. It was so disgusting I had to hold my breath. Summary 📝: - good food. If you order a fruit bowl, don't order it with chocolate 🍫 - service is good. Just be ready to share single menu with your group 📃 - clean, but the bathroom stinks 🧻

Dropped by during the weekday. The service was good, and the workers were curious and patient as our group only spoke English. The food was tasty and came out in a timely manner. Overall, it was a good place for breakfast.
Samantha J — Google review
The restaurant was really good, and the dishes were diverse and delicious. The waitress noticed that we were Muslims and went the extra mile — she told us that the sauce in one of the dishes contained alcohol and said she would remove it. I forgot her name, but I think it was (Yau), if I’m not mistaken.

Blue Bottle Coffee - Shinjuku Cafe is a popular spot known for its high-quality coffee and great selection of beans, making it a good choice for brewing at home. The cafe's design features a simple and clean aesthetic with light brown hues and stainless steel countertops. Located in the newly renovated Shinjuku Station/NeWoMan shopping center, the pristine white and warm wooden interior attracts both travelers and locals. The staff efficiently handles the bustling crowds, providing smooth service amidst the constant buzz of conversation.
The hot Americano here is really good, and the price is reasonable at about ¥500. This branch tends to be quite busy, but the staff are friendly and attentive. They also offer a selection of baked goods and mugs for sale. There’s ample seating, making it a great place to enjoy your coffee.
Pang T — Google review
Very busy store with a lot of tourists in the middle of shinjuku . Would say the coffee and the matcha cake that I ordered was good but seats are hard to come by , and you definitely don’t want to sit outside on such a hot day today(37oC!!!) Almost all seats are high table quite hard to sit on, but it’s connected to the mall so it’s nice place to take a break from shopping
Kevin K — Google review
Drinks were alright. Apple juice too sweet. But matcha and cafe latte was okay. Atmosphere was not packed, which is a plus. Good for us if want to have good conversations.

A Sense of Calm Amidst the Storm: Americano at the Blue Bottle Shinjuku Branch The visit to Blue Bottle Coffee's branch in Shinjuku, located within the NEWoMan shopping complex, felt like an island of serenity in the heart of one of the world's busiest transportation hubs. While the streets outside were buzzing, stepping into the café revealed a space of stark contrast: a place dedicated to calm, aesthetics, and concentration. A Refreshing Contrast in the City's Core The minimalist design of the branch, with its bright wooden surfaces and clean counter, created a perfect contrast to the urban chaos outside. The clear objective of the space is to eliminate all distractions, allowing the customer to focus on the essential: the coffee. Sitting down, I felt that the clean, quiet atmosphere, designed with inspiration from Japanese aesthetics, allowed for a brief and refreshing "time suspension." The Americano: Japanese Precision in a Cup I chose to order a hot Americano. A seemingly simple drink, but at Blue Bottle, it becomes a true test of quality. The barista, working behind the counter with full focus, prepared the espresso at a perfect temperature and with precision, mixing it with hot water in the most accurate ratio. The result was a cup of coffee that demonstrated the chain's principles: a clean, balanced, and deep flavor. The Americano was not overly strong or bitter in a way that would overwhelm the palate, but rather had a medium body—rich and polished—that highlighted the fresh roast flavors of the beans. Every sip confirmed the brand's policy: using only beans roasted within the last 48 hours. An Experience of Luxurious Simplicity No waffles, no complicated sweet flavors—just me and my perfect Americano. This was an experience that underscored the beauty of simplicity and the importance of quality ingredients. At the Shinjuku branch, Blue Bottle offers not just coffee, but a designer refuge where the only thing that truly matters is the precise moment of enjoying your cup. It was a perfectly positive and refined experience that met every expectation.
Yariv K — Google review
For hand drip coffee, I obsessively drink black without cream/milk and sugar. Today, I observe Blue Bottle providing an optional Au Lait for hand drip coffee. I decide to give a try. It is surprising to me that good and fit well with a sparkle of sugar. I observe the barista was paying full attention to details preparing the hand drip coffee which is excellent.
Adrian L — Google review
We came here for breakfast and coffee was amazing, as expected! But since the place is on the G floor of a building, it's kinda noisy, too crowded, rushy, and not really cozy. I suggest to try in other branch if you're looking for a better vibe.
Amalia M — Google review
A very busy location but the space is large, even with the amount of people that frequent it. The coffee is very good. I had their special lavender yuzu latte and it was delicious. The only thing was that because it was busy, the wait for coffee was long. I was there on the weekend at about 1pm and the wait for coffee was about 10-15 mins. We returned the next day at around the same time (Monday) and the wait was a bit shorter.

Restaurant
The French Kitchen is a spacious and sophisticated venue that offers a variety of French dishes and buffets. Located in Roppongi, it's known for its luxurious and cozy atmosphere, making it the perfect place for a long and decadent breakfast or brunch. The Grand Weekend Brunch is particularly popular, offering an extensive buffet with meats, salads, deli bites, fresh bread, desserts, and even champagne. The restaurant also features outdoor tables for those who prefer al fresco dining.
While visiting from the US, my husband & I were able to partake in the Lucky Rabbit Strawberry Afternoon Tea here. The service & staff were top-notch & the venue was very elegant. Our waiter was able to communicate in perfect English to us that the tea was "self-serve buffet-style" and gave us a good selection of drinks we could choose from (3 teas are the designated choices and others are coffee/juice). The various sandwiches, pastries, and desserts were all very high-quality & delicious...I wish that I could have eaten more. I would love to do another afternoon tea here again if we are ever in the area :)
Natasha C — Google review
We dined here for the Halloween themed Afternoon Tea . The front desk was very crowded and we were all eventually seated after few minutes . We had reserved a table in advance but I wasn’t happy with our table facing the hallway PC and there was a ladder that didn’t add up to the ambiance. Service was good, not excellent. Coming to the tea selection, there were good options. And afternoon tea menu was seasonal and done to perfection keeping the theme at every bite . I had requested for vegetarian savory items(burger and crepe )and they were delicious. The scones were on the heavier side. The cakes and chocolates were indulgent and the flavors were spot on. The pudding was on the sweeter side, wish it had a fruit in it. The staff should have been much more attentive and warm. Overall, a satisfying experience . But not sure if I would go back .

I always go here for big family gatherings ♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪ everyone gets to pick and eat what they want so it works out perfect!! They also have seasonal bread that they introduce in the beginning!! For summer they has a strawberry melon bread (the pink bread pictured) always so cute ✌︎('ω')✌︎ recommend also leaving space for dessert because theres at least 6 different desserts!! (๑ᵔ⤙ᵔ๑)

Couple weeks back we came here for their: The French Kitchen’s Crab and Roast Beef Semi-Buffet Dinner with Seasonal Desserts There is absolutely nothing negative that I can say about our unforgettable night gorging ourselves for 3+ hours! The king crab- so delicious. You have no idea how much 800g of crab this really is. My wife could not finish even half of hers, so I helped her out. The roast beef- I swear I must have gone up 6 times, getting 2 slices each time. Such a high quality beef- it was so tender, so tasty, and perfectly cooked (bloody rare in the middle sections). The sauces they had made it too difficult to choose from so I tried them all. And they were really great. The softshell crabs - of these were off the hook, soooo good! Can't count how many I downed, but I know it was an obscene amount. The remainder- they also served some salads and a crab gratin pasta dish which was good. But had to concentrate on the beef and crabs because there was only so much you can eat when eating at an all you can eat buffet. The desserts were very yummy and had just enough room left to do some damage in this department as well. The level of service was incredible. The quality of food was unreal. This was our first time coming here for a buffet, and it will not be our last! I can't wait to see what their next buffet will be.
Keith C — Google review
We came for their king crab and roast beef buffet special. Everything except the crab was great. The crab itself was so dry and I think they cooked it all that morning then stored in a refrigerator where it dried out to almost jerky consistency and lacked depth of flavor. Very disappointing. However the roast beef was delicious as well as the side dishes like fried soft shell crab and crab gratin.

Had breakfast here this morning and I very much enjoyed the food service and it was a wonderful breakfast. Restaurant is in second floor and had a smart decor. Buffet has many options with salad, fruit, rice porridge, cereals, breads, egg station for omelets and more. Then at your table there is a small menu which you can order eggs Benedict (only one comes each order), French toast, waffles, pancakes as well. Delicious lattes, teas juices and all are included.

Lunch buffet is fantastic value. The food is delicious with big selection of each category. Great deserts. If you like scallops, have the scallops from the regular menus. They are super delicious. Beautiful outside seating terrace too

Perfect place to stop by for an afternoon tea that has a perfect balance of sweets and savouries. A couple of months ago I tried the Takashi Murakami Flower Afternoon tea set here. Though kinda pricey, the flower themed desserts and savouries were not a feast for the eyes but were quite delicious. Loved the selection of organic teas from “Art of Tea” collection as well. Worth a visit if you are a fan of afternoon tea sets.

Feb. 2024 Update - Visited the for the strawberry afternoon tea. They've added a few upgrades. They now serve unlimited tea and coffee selections, plus a specialty cocktail. This year, there were also endless strawberries served at your table. The improvements are good. The food this time was also more memorable. I wish they would offer more scones. The clotted cream was really good. Original - Nice space, beautifully decorated. It seemed rather unimposing for the lobby of The Peninsula Hotel. We had the strawberry afternoon tea. It was nice enough. The food was ok, a mix of savory and sweet. The scones were limited, and you were allowed one tea selection. I prefer the Mandarin Oriental.

The cappuccino looked like it came from a machine - it was served in a soup bowl, the ratio of espresso to milk and milk foam was too low, the foam wasn’t tight, no evidence in the foam that the hot milk was poured. The kids breakfast was two silver dollar pancakes, half a banana, some fruit compote and whipped cream and a pond of syrup on a segmented kiddie plate, which is all fine if it isn’t 2500 yen. The fruit plate wasn’t fresh - the mango was sour. The other coffee we ordered was never delivered. My expectations for the Peninsula are higher - two kids breakfasts, a fruit plate, and one cappuccino shouldn’t cost 10,000 yen AND be unacceptably poor. At least the service was pleasant.

Food and service barely passable. Tried most of their The Lobby Breakfast range except for the Naturally Peninsula Breakfast over several days. Stick to either Japanese or Peninsula Breakfast. Service was impersonal and cold as their viennoiserie. Seemed like butter was also a rare item. One staff saved the day, he is enthusiastic and warm, think his name is Takao-san.

A wonderful breakfast location at the 1st floor of The Peninsula Hotel. The food was excellent with a large variety including Japanese, Chinese, Western and a Shojin inspired option that is more healthy. Standout was the service (think Takao-san?) that made us feel very welcome due to his warm, genuine and attentive service.

Blue Bottle Coffee - Shinagawa Cafe is one of the 14 locations in Tokyo and opened in late 2016. It's conveniently located near the station, making it a popular spot for locals and travelers catching bullet trains. The cafe offers a variety of sections, including a supermarket zone with fresh produce, a 'one coin' wine bar, and of course, Blue Bottle Coffee.
Birds Eye location at the foot end of Shinagawa station. You do not need to buy a platform ticket to enter, just go up the escalator. Excellent Cappuccino, a bit strong but really good. The cookie needed to be warmed, they said they do not warm but the little oven was right there… it was still a really good cookie! A beautiful place to hang out and enjoy the view.

A modern styled coffee shop found on the 2nd floor of Atre in Shinagawa. I really like their Iced Latte. Wish it was just bigger in size. Previously tried a seasonal cake in another store and it was delicious. Sadly didn't like the Kandy Apple Pie that much. Would love to try the seasonal cake next time.

I saw the review and come to have a coffee here, this waitress is very rude and disrespectful. When I ask to complain about her, she doesn’t want to reveal her name. But I really hope blue bottle should train their employees to act professionally when working and not bring her attitude to work!

Ordered a iced mocha and a cookie. 1,254 yen. The cashier was super friendly and helpful. Even pronounced my name right. It gets crowded though. When I came here it was around 1pm. There was only a few seats available on the counter by the window. Overall good place.

On our way from Kyoto back to Tokyo, we stopped at the Blue Bottle Coffee in Shinagawa. The café sits just one escalator above the station, overlooking the bustle below. It’s right across from the American Pharmacy and near a handful of other little shops — a perfect mid-journey pause. I ordered the Winter Blend Latte, rich with notes of dark chocolate, molasses, and blackberry — absolutely delicious, and it even looked like it had a few flecks of peppercorn sprinkled on top. My husband went for an A-blend pour-over, and we shared a bowl of granola served with oat milk — lightly sweet, comforting, and just right for a late-afternoon snack to tide us over until dinner. From the windows, you can watch passengers stream past below like lines of ants, always in motion. The café asks that guests avoid photographing people, so I kept my lens focused on our drinks and food instead — a fitting reflection of the calm within the chaos. The soundtrack overhead was mellow — Steely Dan’s “Dirty Work” drifting through the speakers — but the space buzzed with energy. Conversations overlapped, laughter echoed, and the entire scene felt like a cozy crossroads of travelers catching their breath before continuing on their way.

Takeout Restaurant
BOULANGE Shinjuku Southern Terrace is a highly recommended bakery in Shinjuku, offering impeccable quality bread and pastries. The almond croissant is particularly praised for being flaky, moist, and perfectly sweet. With a wide selection of breads and pastries, it can be difficult to choose just one. The butter chicken curry bread and mackerel sandwich are also highlighted as delicious options.
Nice cafe serving a variety of baked goods, both sweet and savory. Tried the croissant with matcha and it was prepared very well. The outside was flaky and crispy, and the interior had a sweet cream that was not too overpowering. There is shared seating with the eggslut restaurant that is within the same building. Good place for a small treat or snack
Wet S — Google review
I have been here few years ago, and I loved this location as well. However I was so sad to see this place got so small. It used to be a whole floor, but now it has shrunken to third. Breads were awesome, but not many choices because of the limited space. They offered for breads and coffee sets which coffee was 270 yen, and not bad. However I would not coming back.
M E — Google review
I came to this bakery some 10 years back and was truly delighted to see it’s still around, although much smaller the quality of the baked goods still remain the same, while all the items are great the croissants are a must try. Crunchy on the outside yet fluffy inside, coupled with a coffee from punkto coffee (7 mins away) it’s a great way to start your day
SChan — Google review
Their chocolate pastries are the best I had. The croissants are really good and you can tell that they really mastered the art of patisserie with how fresh and delicious the pastries are. Will definitely go back and taste more of the baked goods. If you’re planning to go specifically at this branch, mind that you will have to bear the long line(s) of local and foreign people. The inside seats easily get crowded, so you’d definitely have to eat your pastry at the outside table(s), or take home.
Roui J — Google review
Pastries were superb, flaky crisps with buttery insides. Value for money as well, quality pastries for very affordable prices between 300-500 yen. There are outdoor seats but it gets pretty warm in the morning on a sunny day, indoor seats are available too but it smells greasy.

You know the feeling of meeting an old friend who had imparted some great memories and you want to tear a little upon seeing their smiling face after a long while. That's what I got seeing Boul'ange at Shinjuku. I told my mum and we rested at another outlet at Nihonbashi during the long transfer to another metro line a year ago and we sat there for some tea and pastry. We even bought some pastry home on the last day. I only know she told a not too comfortable nap to recharge as it was a tiring day. This particular outlet shares space with Eggslut and even has Luke's Lobster and a rest room on level 2. It's bench and stool seating and they don't seem to have a drink counter. I think there were tables and chairs outside as well as on the second floor. One should be able to have all three concepts in the same venue :) However, being in the thick of action in Shinjuku, it's probably a nice place to take a break.
Alvin L — Google review
Love the croissant here, it's one of the best in Tokyo and at a reasonable price. The pastry was layered and crispy, and satisfyingly buttery on the inside. There are many varieties of croissant including a couple of chocolate versions which all tasted great. Service is reasonable and there are seating but it's mainly for the shop next door. That being said plenty of areas close by to take a seat in the fresh air.
F C — Google review
I just had Japanese curry around the corner so the delicious sweet pastry at Boul'ange provided the perfect counterbalance to the katsu curries and stew (thanks Hot Spoon!). You can eat-in or takeaway. A small oven with guide to heating instructions is available in the shop. There are also drinks available. Boul'ange shares floorspace with Eggslut, a Japanese western burger joint.

Caramelo, located inside the Cerulean Tower, was a convenient and enjoyable dining experience during our stay in Tokyo. Since we were staying at the hotel, its late-night hours made it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal after a long day of exploring the city. The food was decent, offering a satisfying selection that hit the spot. While it may not have been the most exceptional cuisine we’ve had, it was certainly enjoyable and well-prepared
Nataly B — Google review
I don't normally leave negative reviews, but I hope this helps this place because I was blown away with the value for money of the hotel, but the restaurant was atrocious. Some areas I think this place can improve are: 1. Timing. They kept us waiting for over 30 minutes for a lunch plate. Possibly they can serve some salad, soup, or bread if the dish takes time. 2. Staff training. Our first server picked up garbage from the floor and distributed mask cases with the same hand. Another server misinformed us about our selection, which was corrected by a different staff. 3. Consideration. I ordered carbonated water, and they threw away the lid. Anything carbonated needs a lid! 4. Value for money. Quality of the food is at best okay. Given the three points above, the over 2,000 yen lunch plate is not justified at all. Having said all that, I was impressed with the bread here, which was served after our lunch plate. Please do a better job as the hotel and hotel staffs are top notch, but this restaurant needs to be improved asap.

Extremely disappointed by the breakfast buffet. My biggest concern is poor value for money. The fact that basic items remained perpetually unrefilled or that it took a long time to have items refilled is unacceptable

(Translated by Google) I had lunch in the dining room of the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel. The fresh etouffee I chose was a steamed white fish. The flesh was light and fluffy with a refreshing finish. A slight lemon touch? The sauce was elaborate. This is definitely a hotel meal, as it's delicious♪ It was a half-buffet, with salads and desserts available for self-service. The portions were modest, but the smoked salmon and prosciutto-like dishes were delicious. They gave me a refill of coffee after the meal, so I had another serving of mango pudding♪ With a vast expanse of greenery outside the large windows, it was easy to forget I was in the heart of Shibuya. I spent a relaxing time in this soothing space, also known as the garden kitchen! (Translated by Google) We had a business dinner. We were a group of six, and they provided us with a private room. We were able to dine in peace, which was very helpful as we had elderly guests who are hard of hearing. It was lunchtime, so we chose from the lunch menu. Everything was delicious and I think it was very good value for money. For a hotel lunch in Shibuya, I was very satisfied with the price and taste. The lunch menu offered several main dishes to choose from, and there was a wide selection of other dishes as well. There was a wide selection of drinks, from soft drinks to alcoholic beverages, so you could choose what you liked. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our meal in a pleasant atmosphere. My only concern was that it was a little noisy. It was difficult to hear conversations. As for the location, Cerulean Tower is located a little away from Shibuya Station, making it easy and convenient to get to in today's crowded Shibuya. It's also very accessible by car. There is a parking service available, so you can park your car with peace of mind. I would definitely use it again. Verve Coffee Roasters, a Californian coffee roaster, has made its mark in Tokyo with three locations. The Roppongi branch stands out as a spacious coffee shop with ample seating, Wi-Fi, and delectable hot sandwiches. It's known for unique drinks like the honey rosemary latte. Meanwhile, the Shinjuku outlet offers a calming ambiance with earthy tones and cozy outdoor seating.
A great coffee shop in Tokyo and it’s easy to go because it’s in the Shinjuku station. - I ordered pour over coffee with single origin’s bean from Guatemala. It had a good aroma with a smooth taste. - The coffee in the servers can be request to taste it before you would like to order. - I brought a coffee bean 1 bag and 2 drip bags, then I got 1 free coffee! That’s so impressive. - The cashier is nice, the barista as well.

On a hot and humid day in Tokyo, we were looking for a place to cool off and came across this café near the park. As is the wonderful custom in Tokyo, the staff were welcoming and kind. We ordered some drinks and sweets, though there were a few challenges due to the language barrier. One of our drinks was served incorrectly, but they were helpful and quickly fixed it. The café had a cozy atmosphere, though it was quite crowded when we visited. The coffee and sweets didn’t meet our expectations. The coffee, in particular, needs some improvement. Overall, it was a nice experience. We liked the friendly service and great location.

Classic tourist trap on the railway. Skip it and go to the next door coffee shop. The coffee was ok, and I liked that they offer a few different drip options to try while you are waiting. But the food was a total disappointment. I ordered a pastrami and avocado sandwich, and it was basically just bread with some warm avocado and mayonnaise. I found one tiny piece of pastrami inside. The bread was overtoasted, and they didn't include the pickles, which are supposed to be the key complement to a pastrami sandwich. What's even worse, the sandwich cost 1200 yen, while the cafe right next door has so much better ones for half the price. It's not even about the money it's just bad quality and careless service. You expect to grab a decent sandwich for your trip and they just let you down, so poor experience. Avoid it.

I came for speciality coffee here, which was quite good. And service is also very nice. The coffe shop is quite busy at 10 am, it’s located inside a station, so don’t dream of relaxing and siping your cup of pour over coffee in quiet atmosphere, it will just not happen. So many things are happening around, lot’s of food, people talking on loud speaker with their children left at home. You can buy roasted beans here and if you buy in advance, you will get a pour over of the same coffee for free, which is a surprising bonus. I immagine this place would be so much better with their personnel and coffee located somewhere else!

A pick up as soon as you walk in the door, Concrete Schoolyard playing overhead. And the wonderful smell, oh the smell!!! They've got a sleek tasting bar where you can try up to ten different coffees -- it honestly looks like a science experiment in the best way possible. Beakers, precision pours, and baristas who know their craft. I ordered the Valencia Latte, a Tokyo-exclusive specialty. It's a hot espresso drink with your choice of milk, infused with Valencia orange -- that bright, citrusy lift -- and maybe a hint of vanilla or citrus syrup. Think espresso meets sunshine. Paired it (unintentionally perfectly) with an Earl Grey and Orange Peel Scone from Sawamura. Didn't plan to match the flavors, but the combo was ridiculously harmonious -- fragrant, textured, and just sweet enough. The baristas were friendly and fast, and the shop is a short walk from our hotel. The latte was so good it ruined office coffee for me -- seriously, I'd help fund a barista if it meant this level of flavor at work. Bonus: they hand you a note for ¥200 off your next drink if you get it during the same visit. My husband drinks four cups a day -- do the math, it's a win. The crowd was a cool mix of locals and travelers -- Japanese students, Swedes, Canadians, Americans -- all soaking in the calm hum of great music and caffeine. Bottom line: sure, you can get Verve in California, but this Tokyo version has an extra layer of style and precision. Come for the coffee, stay for the experience -- it's a full-on performance in a cup.

Very popular establishment. Tried going in for a coffee during lunch time and as expected, I couldn’t even get in. Had better luck when I went back later. I always ask for recommendations when I visit coffee joints, and this time, I was recommended the elderflower latte. It had some grated orange rind at the top, which releases the oil and it hits the nose nicely when you bring the glass to the nose, and the coffee was wonderfully aromatic. Really nice drink.

After a long day of shopping in Shinjuku, I stumbled upon this cafe in a shopping mall. The waffles on the menu caught my eye, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a mocha and a waffle. Both the food and coffee were quite average and the cafe lacked air conditioning, making it very stuffy and uncomfortable.

Had a great cup of coffee here. They open early and are located at the train station, so there were already folks waiting to get in to have some coffee. But despite that, the crew moves fast and got drinks out fast. Bought a bag of beans here to try, and it came with a complimentary drink. The coffee was nicely balanced and had hints of fruitiness. Overall a very enjoyable early morning coffee. Would definitely recommend stopping by for a drink here.

Tsukiji Sushiko Wa Nagomi is a family-friendly restaurant that provides a kids menu and stroller storage. They offer an extensive allergen menu, making it convenient for those with dietary restrictions. The sushi is highly recommended, especially the Otoro and Chutoro, which are wild-caught tuna. The chawamushi egg custard and miso clam soup are also delicious options.
The sashimi here is superb! You see the uni is formed and tasty. The sashimi cuts are decently thick and fresh. Tempura is humongous! I've eaten long ones but they're just cut and drawn this one is really huge! Kinda pricey though get ready to shell out around 5000 yen per pax. But I guess it's worth it.

Awesome lunch deal. Quick, no-frills, tasty sushi at an affordable price. Highly recommend popping by if you're around the area and looking for something quick and easy that doesn't break the bank. Surprisingly good for a restaurant in a train station! The menu options were impressive, with so many interesting and delicious-looking meals. Unfortunately, I have a small tummy, and it was our last day in Japan. I’m glad this was our farewell meal before leaving! I especially loved the boiled crab and crab miso appetizer! The savory taste was the perfect starter for me. My husband was amazed by his jumbo shrimp rice bowl; the actual portion was much larger than the menu picture. Typically, portions are smaller than advertised, but this restaurant exceeded our expectations. For the price we paid, we felt we were getting more than our money’s worth. The tempura was fresh, served hot, and the batter was light and fluffy. I suggest sharing a meal and ordering several small bites from the menu to sample more dishes. I wrapped up my Japan trip with unagi, which I hadn’t had the chance to eat since arriving in Japan. No regrets! The eel was soft, fresh, and cooked to perfect tenderness. I was very happy with my set. I wish I could have tried more from their menu and hope to return someday. Service was fantastic. Meals were served quickly, and the chefs were so enthusiastic, greeting every guest with welcoming energy. The floor staff were helpful, courteous, and always smiling. This restaurant has one of the largest seating capacities we’ve seen. We were lucky to be the first customers of the lunch crowd, getting seated immediately and having our orders taken promptly. Overall, we were overly joyed with our experience. Wishing the restaurant continued success, and thank you for the great meal and hospitality!

When I don't have much time but still crave delicious sushi, I always swing by this standing counter. Apparently, sushi was originally a fast food, a quick and easy meal for everyone. I think anyone, even foreigners, could easily try it, whether they go for a set menu or à la carte.

There was a very short line, but we were looking forward to eating sushi too much not to wait. We ended up waiting for 15 minutes. Then we were taken to the table. The staff was friendly and fast. We had some vegetarian hand-rolled sushi, some maki with tuna & avocado, and a fish mix bowl (I don't remember the exact name). We sunk it all with some Asahi beers. In the background the chefs were having some fun talking to one another. It was a pleasant atmosphere.

It was one of the best sushi experiences that I had in Tokyo, we ordered the combination menu for two people with 32 pcs which helped us to taste all sorts of real japanese made sushi, what I like was the addition of the Wassabi between the fish and the rice which was just the right amount when I add it myself :)) , the staff were very polite and the kitchen is super clean, a bit pricy with two miso soup and one bear and one palm wine, the total cost was around 12000 yen, I will definitely come back again!

Coffee Aristocrat Edinburgh is a classic coffee shop located in Shinjuku, offering a 24-hour cafe experience for coffee enthusiasts. The cafe features a traditional decor and serves a variety of hand-picked, freshly ground coffees that are siphon brewed and served with cream, along with options for raw or white sugar. Popular choices include Jamaican Blue Mountain and Hawaiian Kona. The cafe also provides recommendations for those new to the world of specialty coffee.
Superb! The coffee menu was a hard choice. I loved my choices and savored every sip. If I lived in Tokyo, I would never leave. The service was so intentional, and the decor was perfectly elegant and traditional.
Tracie J — Google review
If you're jet-lagged and wandering Shinjuku City at odd hours, this 24-hour café is a reliable option for a comforting breakfast. The menu offers a good variety, and the bagels are especially interesting—softer and chewier than what you'd typically find in the U.S., especially if you're coming from NYC, where bagels are known for their dense, crisp exterior and chewy interior. It's a subtle but noticeable difference that gives the Japanese take a unique charm. The coffee frappuccino here is dangerously good—I enjoyed it so much I ordered another one to go. And as for the matcha? Don’t even question it. It’s Japan. I genuinely don’t think you’ll find a bad matcha drink here. One thing to be aware of: while there is a designated smoking area, the smell does carry into the non-smoking section, which could be bothersome for some. Still, for late-night cravings or an early-morning start, this café delivers both convenience and a satisfying bite.
Janessa T — Google review
Obsessed with this spot. Stumbled upon it when in need of a late night snack. It’s open 24 hours, has free wifi and allows smoking inside. There’s a minimum order of one drink per person and they’re not cheap at about 1500 yen a piece (which acts as a sort of cover charge for the space) but the parfaits count as a beverage. The chocolate one was super delicious and so was the hamburger toast.
Quincy — Google review
I was there on May 11. I had a dessert at this café—served with ice cream (I don’t remember the name, but it’s in the photos)—and everything about it was lovely, but I was especially amazed by the fresh mint on top. I can still taste that refreshing mint in my mind! The waiter who took care of us was very kind. While serving, we even had a brief conversation about the anime Jujutsu Kaisen, which made the experience even more enjoyable. My phone had run out of battery, and they had a charger available, which truly saved the day. I should mention that this is a smoking-only venue. If you’ve gotten used to the fresh, clean atmosphere typical in Japan, it might feel unusual. But it’s clearly stated in the reviews that smoking is allowed here. I have to say—it’s a bit unfair that some people knowingly come and then leave low ratings just because of that. In our own country, we encounter cigarette smoke even while walking down the street; at least here, you’re informed in advance. Since I knew what to expect, it didn’t bother me at all. Thank you for everything!
Ece İ — Google review
Edinburgh is an overly popular café in Shinjuku, but the reason for its success eludes me. The fact that Edinburgh is open 24 hours is impressive, but the café stinks of cigarettes no matter what time you visit, which distracts customers from enjoying the thematic interior design. The servers are inattentive, the menu items are overpriced, and the coffee is average at best. The dessert options (not individual cake slices) are actually fantastic, and should be promoted far more than the lackluster coffee and meal options, which can definitely be prepared at home.
Spark V — Google review
A good option for a very early or very late meal/coffee as this place is open 24 hours. Fast, friendly and helpful service. Free wifi available. Food and coffee are just okay. Nice and warm atmosphere.

Just perfect. Great concept, waiters take their jobs seriously, open 24h, great selection of teas and coffees. Might be my favourite coffee shop in the world.

This place is for smokers. Although it is a beautiful looking coffee house with an interesting looking coffee menu and polite staff, the overall experience is dominated by thick clouds of cigarette smoke and an overwhelming ashtray smell/taste. There is a small non smoking area but it shares the same interior space with the main smoking area. I couldn't bear it long enough to order. It is highly rated, presumably by customers that smoke.

Breakfast restaurant
No.4 is a trendy bakery cafe located in Chiyoda-ku, just a short walk from Ichigaya Station. It offers a variety of wood-fired pizzas, classic pastries, salads, and coffee in a modern setting with both indoor and outdoor seating. While the sourdough bread is highly praised, some have found it disappointing due to its soft crust after being displayed for some time. The restaurant is part of the same group that operates TY Harbor Brewery & Crista.
I’m pretty sure I put this place on my list because they sell sourdough bread, which isn’t readily available in Tokyo. I went in the evening and got right in, but most of the bread selection was gone by that time. So I’ll definitely be back. But what I did stay for was the brioche french toast and it was outstanding. It’s a repeat item for sure. The space is also cool, and feels a bit rustic. Service was fast and friendly.

No. 4 Café may look like an unassuming single level building in the bustling city of Tokyo, but it was already crowded even on a Monday morning at 9am. When I arrived, I took a queue number and noticed that there were already 6 groups ahead of me. Since I was dining alone, I selected the option to sit anywhere, including outdoors. It did not take long before a waiter guided me to an outdoor seat. Orders were placed conveniently by scanning a QR code. I ordered the French Toast Combo Set together with a cup of iced Americano. The food was served within 15 minutes and looked absolutely fantastic. The French toast came with a variety of sides, which allowed me to mix and match different ingredients to create unique flavour combinations with each bite. Overall, it was a hearty breakfast that was both delicious and beautifully presented. This is definitely a café that should not be missed if you are in Tokyo.

The French toast is moist, and the seasoning is not overly sweet at all. Both the bread and the dipping sauce are delicious. I highly recommend the brunch here ✨

This café offered a very pleasant experience overall. I had a warm café latte, which was creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced. The portion was generous, and it had a deep, satisfying coffee flavor that made it a great start to the meal. For food, I ordered the homemade Caesar salad, which was prepared in a slightly unique style. It was not a standard Caesar salad, but it was very well executed. The lettuce was crisp and fresh, the dressing had a rich and tangy flavor, and the parmesan tied everything together beautifully. The croutons were crunchy and added a lovely texture. It was a refreshing and flavorful salad, and I would definitely recommend trying it when visiting the café. The second dish I had was a falafel plate served with flatbread, vegetables, and sauce. The falafel was slightly dry but still flavorful, and it had a nice spice mix. The grilled vegetables, especially the mushrooms and beetroot, were excellent and added great depth to the plate. The flatbread paired well with everything, and the sauce in the middle was the highlight. It was creamy, rich, and complemented the dish perfectly. The combination of all elements worked very well together, even if the falafel could have been a bit moister. The service was outstanding. The café is very well organized with a modern system. You order online using a QR code at your table, and for seating you get a waiting ticket from an iPad. The staff works quickly, efficiently, and with great coordination. Everyone seemed focused and genuinely dedicated to their work, which gave the place a very professional but friendly atmosphere. The ambiance was charming and comfortable, with a warm and relaxed feeling. The space was nicely designed and felt welcoming. Overall, this café offers great food, excellent service, and a pleasant environment.

Worth the Wait? Stepping into the bustling heart of Tokyo, we found ourselves drawn to a highly-raved bakery cafe, a spot promising artisanal delights. The aroma of freshly baked bread wafted through the air, a tantalizing invitation that, unfortunately, came with a significant caveat: a 1.5-hour wait. Yes, you read that right – ninety minutes spent anticipating our brunch (originally breakfast). Once seated, the experience took a turn for the visually spectacular. From the delicate pastries adorned with fresh berries to the meticulously arranged savory toasts, it was clear that the chefs here possess an incredible eye for detail, turning simple ingredients into Instagram-worthy masterpieces. However, when it came to the actual taste, our expectations, perhaps inflated by the long wait and the visual feast, were met with a more moderate reality. The food was, in a word, "alright." While certainly not bad, it didn't quite reach the heights of culinary excellence that the presentation suggested. The flavors were pleasant, but lacked that distinctive "wow" factor that would justify such a lengthy queue. Adding to this, I couldn't help but feel that the prices leaned towards the higher side for what was offered. While Tokyo is known for its premium dining experiences, the slight disconnect between the "alright" taste and the "beautifully presented, slightly overpriced" tag left me pondering the overall value. The Verdict: If you're someone who prioritizes aesthetics and doesn't mind a considerable wait for a picturesque meal, this bakery cafe might just be your cup of tea (or coffee!). The ambiance is charming, and the food is undeniably photogenic. However, if your primary goal is an unforgettable culinary experience that justifies both the wait and the price tag, you might find yourself, like us, leaving with a feeling of "it was good, but..."

It is an ok trendy cafe with pretty standard quality cafe food. It's good, but nothing amazing. It would be worth going to if you didn't have to wait in line FOREVER to get a table. Unless you come at exactly opening time you are going to have to wait at least 45 min to over an hour. They dont accept reservations, so you HAVE to wait.

Maybe the best French toast in Japan 🥰 Been coming years now They got super soft and fluffy French test from their brioche bread baked on site Doesn’t even need syrup! Just solo or with the butter They do have a seasonal French toast that changes monthly. Be warned ‼️ this place went viral on social media so expect a LONG wait. Especially on weekends. Waited 2-3 hours in past. Ngl this is main reason I don’t come often 🤣 Thankfully they’ve added a ticketing system No line usually before closing. Last order is at 8:30pm Place can be pretty noisy btw 10/8 update came for 🎃 pumpkin French toast. Was great but know they’ve raised prices a bit 🫠

Sawamura Bread & Tapas is a popular European-style bakery and cafe known for its hot and cold tapas, light lunches, breads, and sweet pastries. The bakery's weekend queues are a testament to its local popularity, with customers flocking in for classic loaves and seasonal pastries featuring Japanese ingredients. Despite being busy, the atmosphere is never crowded.
I had the beef cheek stewed in red wine sauce, and I am not joking when I say it was one of the most divine and luxurious meals I've had in Japan. ❤️❤️. It is sweet and delicious. Absolutely remarkable!! I've had many delicious Japanese and other ethnic meals in Japan, and this is definitely one of the top ^^ Food of the gods ❤️ It's made even more amazing by the fact that this is a 2nd floor restaurant above a bakery, and it's available for lunchtime ^^ The meal is served with a nice green salad, and 4 different pieces of fresh bread from the bakery downstairs. The bread is absolutely delicious when eaten plain, but I recommend saving a couple slices to eat with the remaining red wine sauce - it is absolutely delicious!! The bread served for me included a piece of chewy mochi bread, French bread, a sliced loaf bread, and a raisin bread. I particularly loved the raisin bread. I recommend an iced coffee to cut the sweetness afterward. I am definitely going to come back ^^ I want to try the other lunch options, but it will be very hard to choose them over the beef 😂 I hope the beef continues to stay on the menu!! ❤️

Bread and Tapas SAWAMURA NISHIAZABU TOKYO Dinner is also recommended It’s bakery restaurant. Tapasus dishes that go well with wine are a staple of Spanish restaurants in my part of Hong Kong. If you have ever heard that Japanese bread is delicious, you should try the bread here. Because, as far as I know, it is the best bread in Japan, and the reason is that you can eat it every day. The food goes well with wine, plus good bread, so it is very satisfying. The atmosphere is more like coming with family or friends, but since there is a counter, there are probably many customers who come alone. When I visited the restaurant, it was empty, but I recommend making a basic reservation to visit the restaurant. On this day, I came to Tokyo right after arriving from Hong Kong without having eaten anything, so I asked for a little too much. (笑)

I came here in January 2020 and had the most unexpectedly good latte I’ve ever had (the honey cinnamon latte). I came back 3 years later and it’s just as good! Pastries were also delicious—I had a butter croissant and cinnamon roll. The croissant was phenomenal and paired amazingly with an iced honey cinnamon latte. I highly recommend this cafe!

Stopped by in the afternoon to grab a coffee, and it was a moderate strength and OK. It was quite quiet and the atmosphere was nice to be able to catch up with a friend or do some reading in a quiet, clean and modern cafe. We didn't try any food, but the menu seemed to serve Italian fusion food.

Tried their Norwegian salmon and honey caramel latte for lunch. Good food and service! They also serve a complimentary bread basket and they have a wide selection of pastries as well.

I easily liked this place, its more of a european concept. Be sure to go there in the morning to get freshly baked pastries! I specifically liked the mushroom tartine, also the walnut bread with cream, plus of course their coffe.

A quaint bakery/breakfast spot, with the to go bakery goods served on the entry floor, and thr restaurant on the second floor up a long winding spiral staircase. We only went to eat at the restaurant, so this review will be about that experience. However, all the pastries and baked goods looked delicious. The breakfast sets all sounded great, and we settled for the toast set and french toast set. Both were filling, tasty, and enjoyable with the relaxing ambience. A bit pricier for breakfast, but that might be par for the course here in Tokyo.

#toast 514 — been here a few times for their French toast but this time they ran out by the time I got there (weekday, 2pm) so I ordered the avocado toast instead. The portion size is always quite generous though the wait for indoor seats can take a while. I would still recommend sitting in the inside especially during the summer months since it’s quite hot even though the terrace is shaded. Crisscross is also part of the same restaurant group as No.4, and they share similar vibes. Follow @nomkakaii on Instagram for more toast adventures!

The food was delicious and presented very nicely. We sat on the terrace and it was well heated, blankets were provided if you need them. The overall vibe of the restaurant is very nice. My only complaint is that the lemonade was not serve in a glass which didn’t match the picture on the menu.

This place is always busy on the weekend. There are no reservations so be prepared to wait 15-30 mins. You queue up via the kiosk and it will print you a ticket. The food was a typical american brunch with various options. It tasted standard 3/5, but the cherry pie we got was okay at best. I’ve had each item ordered better somewhere else, for example the pancakes at Bills. The presentation of the food was 5/5 though. The atmosphere of the restaurant reminded me of LA on the weekends, with the outdoor seating and everyone hanging out. I enjoyed it. For the price, you’re paying for the location and the atmosphere, not so much the taste of the food.

Food was great and presented nicely. Ordered a salad, pancake with eggs and Mac n Cheese. The highlight was actually the salad. The leaves were really fresh, almonds were fresh and nicely toasted, barley was added which gave a good texture and the cheese, apple and beetroot gave it a good acidic, mineral like flavours Pancake was standard as most japanese shops that does pancakes are at high quality, but the portion was a bit big, total of 3 pieces. Sausage was tasty. Mac and Cheese was good although the sauce was most likely from canned mushroom soup blended with real mushrooms. Overall sitting outside with a gas warmer with hot food and good tea (surprisingly the black tea was tasty) was very comforting, and it's positioned in a good neighbourhood. Took us 15-20mins wait with 7 seats in front of us at 11.30am on a Saturday morning. Staff spoke good English and we're very friendly. Great place and would come back and recommend it to others .

We were searching for a restaurant with an all-day breakfast menu, and Google led us to this spot in Aoyama, surrounded by other great dining options. We arrived around 11 AM for brunch, got a queue number, and waited about 30 minutes before being seated. We were placed outside—some areas felt a bit crowded, but it was still a pleasant experience. The service time was reasonable, and the food was absolutely delicious! It is on the pricier side, but worth it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy brunch spot, especially for pancake lovers!

Path is a charming French cafe located in the Shibuya district of Tokyo. It offers a delightful experience, serving delectable pastries and coffee in the mornings, making it an ideal spot for breakfast or brunch. The cafe's in-house pastry chefs craft mouthwatering croissants, which are made in small batches and are highly sought after by visitors. In addition to its morning offerings, Path transforms into a romantic dinner venue at night, providing a luxurious ambiance for business meetings or intimate dates.
We got here 15min before opening and we’re 4th in line through their electronic waitlist they prepared outside. There was a line up that accumulated after us shortly. Once they called us we got in and sat at the bar. We were aware that it takes about 30min for them to prepare the Dutch pancake but with everyone ordering it as expected, the wait time for us was more like 45/50min. We did watch the cook diligently work on it as quick as she can but there were definitely patrons after us that waited longer. Once we got the pancake it was pretty good, like a sweet and savoury soufflé-like pancake with prosciutto nestled inside. It was pretty sizeable also and was really good with the provided maple syrup. I can’t say it was worth the wait but it was definitely good and worth the experience. Would recommend coming early for this one.

(BREAKFAST/BRUNCH menu): in Yoyogi Uehara is hugely popular for its weekend breakfast, especially the Dutch pancake. The café itself is cozy and the pancake was truly delicious, but be prepared: we joined the online queue at 8:30am and didn’t get seated until after noon. They do mention the pancake takes 30 minutes, but by 10am, new guests weren’t even allowed to line up. It’s a lovely and comforting meal, but with the long wait, high price, and pastries/other menu items selling out early, it might be best enjoyed once the hype dies down…or if you already have other plans in the area while the phone lets you informed about the queue.

🛎️ [Must-Try] Dutch Pancake with Parma Prosciutto & Burrata Cheese Visited many times, and this skillet pancake is always worth the 30-minute bake. Crisp on the outside and soft inside, almost like a puff pastry. The savory Parma prosciutto and creamy burrata in the center, finished with a drizzle of maple syrup, create the most perfect balance of flavors.
Clara J — Google review
Delightful little brunch spot that serves a delicious Dutch pancake with Parma and burrata; the syrup mixed with ham, melted cheese, and eggy texture of the bread is truly outstanding. And while that was impressive, I found myself LOVING the creamy salsiccia stew and radiccio, quinoa, grape salad. Both were so flavorful. In addition to the food, the ambience was so comfortably stylish—soft yellow lighting; a record player spinning out an eclectic mix of music; and modern rustic farmhouse decor.

The Dutch pancake is amazing! The food here overall is 👍🏻 good. The only thing I think can be improved is the coffee? From little nap and fuglen, they’re a bit too light (I tried fuglen in the shop nearby). Highly recommended! But please do get up early and get a queue tag to dine in early!
Mengnibal C — Google review
It’s really good. And the ambiance is cool and chic. I didn’t wait in line luckily, as I went right around 1pm (lunch goes until 2pm). Some of the baked goods they were sold out of at that time, but they were still serving Dutch pancakes, which is what I wanted. It was delicious, and I’m writing this review with a watering mouth. The prosciutto and burrata cheese just complimented each other so well, then the sweetness of the maple syrup just took it over the top. I had a pour over coffee also, with beans from a local coffee shop, that completed the meal. For me, it’s something I’ll come back for again and again.

TRUNK HOTEL is a trendy and modern hotel located in Tokyo, right by Harajuku's Cat Street and a short walk from Shibuya Crossing. The hotel offers upcycled furniture in its contemporary quarters, along with a restaurant and a stylish bar. It features its own convenience store, an expansive outdoor deck, and a lobby that doubles as a co-working space during the day and transforms into a chic cocktail bar at night.
We stayed here for the first night of our Japan trip and we loved it! The staff took note of my birthday from my passport and remembered us as we were heading out. They wished me a happy birthday and even gave me a small gift. Some reviews criticize the busy lobby, and if you’re looking for a hotel with a quiet lobby and no energy, this might not be the hotel for you. We found it vibrant and full of life, with smiling faces all around. Definitely one of the more memorable hotels of our visit and we will definitely stay again next visit!

Previous guest of Claska and I have a big love for Ace Hotels. I thought this could be a similar vibe. Tbh, we paid a good amount of change for a weeks stay. The room had damp issues, I found myself paying $50 for a double serve of muesli in the morning, which was rough. The lobby was chaotic, not in a good way. My biggest issue was on departure, where we had already paid 100% of the cost for the room at the time of booking, only to be told we needed to pay the entire amount again (multiple thousands), as the initial charge was just a 'hold of funds'. This felt absurd to us, and I've not come across holds being used for entire cost of stay. It was also not indicated on our receipt of payment and felt super scammy. We were then treated in a hostile manner, as though we were trying to get out of payment. This was not an enjoyable holiday experience and there's no way I'd be staying again.

I stayed two nights at this hotel (from Friday to Sunday), for the second time. The place remains as elegant as ever — the design is refined, contemporary, and full of character. My room was cosy, impeccably clean, and the bed exceptionally comfortable, hard to leave in the morning! The staff were highly professional, friendly, and attentive. I had dinner at Trunk Kitchen, and the meal was absolutely delicious. However, I was disappointed by the breakfasts. They are served at the table, as plated dishes that are far too generous. The salmon plate, for example, also included bacon, sausages, lard, and vegetables, too much, and an odd combination. On the other hand, the fruit, yogurt and granola plate was excellent, light, balanced, and very tasty. One downside during my stay: the hotel was hosting several weddings, which made the atmosphere quite noisy. The bar was almost inaccessible, and the usual calm, intimate vibe of the place was missing. Despite this, Trunk Hotel remains a beautiful address in Tokyo, stylish, comfortable, and supported by an outstanding team.

As Americans traveling in Japan, we were so grateful to find this spot! It was exactly what we needed — an easy, delicious breakfast and a relaxed space where our kid could be comfortable. The location is beautiful and absolutely worth the walk. The service was top-notch, and when our child wasn’t feeling well, the staff went above and beyond to help and make us comfortable. Such a kind and welcoming place — a real reprieve while we were in the area!
Abbey P — Google review
When booking my stay at Trunk for 6 nights in June 2025 I really didn’t think it would end up with writing a 1 star review for my experience but I’m sharing my feedback so that anyone considering booking this hotel is aware. My main issue with this property is value for money. I paid 64,000 yen per night (680AUD) which is the most money I’ve ever spent on a hotel but from looking at the photos and the way it is marketed online, and it being my first time solo travelling, I decided it was worth it to spend a bit more money. The rooms are extremely dated, they would have been great 5-8 years ago but it is clear they are not maintained. Old, stained carpets, walls that need repainted, rusted taps and a terrible musty smell in the room and main corridor. I think it’s outrageous that a company charging this much money for a hotel room does not care enough to carry out upgrades to their room and present them in a way that matches their online presence. This could be classed as false advertising. Another thing to look into is that you are advertised as a 4-star hotel on google & 5-star on other booking platforms, this kind of inconsistency is misleading for guests. To their credit, the vast majority of the staff were so lovely, including the manager, who I voiced this feedback to. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with a bartender when I went to cash in my free drink voucher. This experience left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and I did not feel like I could relax in the lobby area for the remainder of my stay. As I mentioned this was my first time solo travelling as a female and in general Japan has felt so safe to me during my trip but the fact I didn’t feel comfortable in my hotel was not ok. If you are considering this hotel for your Tokyo trip, I really do think you can get much better value for money elsewhere.
Kerry J — Google review
We absolutely loved staying the Trunk hotel. The location is definitely fantastic, especially if you intend to walk around or train most of the time you're here. We loved the staff and the vibes of the place, while the lobby could get crowded with people working or at the bar, it never felt too busy and the staff always took care of the guests. The location really is the highlight as there are tons of great shops and restaurants within a 10 min walk. Next time we're in Tokyo, will 100% be staying here again.

I have discovered Sawamura while I was walking in Hiroo, it's located on the second floor of Hiroo plaza just beside the station. The bakery is offers various options and types of bread and they serve lunch and other dishes as well not only patisserie. The drinks are nice and come in different sizes. The atmosphere of the place is lively since it has big windows overlooking the street which I like because it makes it sunny in the morning and nice place to have breakfast. Had a cheese burrito that wasn't really a burrito at all in the western sense but it was really nice. Heaps of cheese and bacon inside wrapped up in some sort of bread that was more like a crepe. Coffee is good but as usual in Japan the beans are way over roasted but their baristas know what they are doing. They also serve Bonsoy for soy lovers like myself. The crossaint wasn't very fresh and quite hard whicj was a disappointment considering they are a bakery. The panini was nice too.

Tokyo Doujiang Life is a cozy Taiwanese restaurant known for its friendly service and delicious dishes. The menu features Doujiang, a savory soy milk porridge that is surprisingly filling, along with black sesame buns and other flavorful options like onion and seafood-filled buns. The freshly squeezed in-house soy milk is highly recommended, and there are vegan and vegetarian options available upon inquiry. Despite the Japanese-only menu, the staff are accommodating, with some members fluent in Chinese.
This shop is so popular that by the time I arrived there (The shop opened at 9), there were already 21 groups waiting before me. You basically arrive and grab a ticket which will tell you your number. You don’t need to stay there. Just scan the QR code and check how many people have been served and if you turn is coming up. The shop is constantly full while I was there. Being in this shop somewhat brought me back to small restaurants in Taiwan. Though the flavour is not 100% authentic, it successfully recreated the essence of the flavours. I enjoyed the mild flavours (in comparison to the strong burnt taste of the soy milk in Taiwan) and the size is just right and allows for people to order sides. Prices are quite reasonable too. So far it has the best 油条 or the fried dough. Sadly I couldn't get it because it sold out at around 10 am on Sunday. You can come here at 8 am and people have lined up with the ticket number. So don't come here with empty stomach. My favorites are the taiwanese bread (台湾風焼きパン no. 2 and peanut bun (花生并) Also this restaurant has no English menu. Quite hard to order if you don’t understand Japanese and Chinese.

I got in at 8:45 am (9am opening) thinking I’d be ahead of any line but it turned out there were already 30 groups ahead of me. You print out a QR code and then can wait until they notify you via email. The service is efficient with a limited menu. Not that much places to sit so you may have to wait. The food quality is great; def more “Japanese” in the sense they use less oil and flavoring but it was still very delicious and made me miss Taiwan. The price / portion is actually really good and can have a full stomach after 1500 yen. Again, the menu isn’t as broad as any typical Taiwanese breakfast place will have but the quality was well worth the wait. I’d def come back here again.
Daniele H — Google review
Hidden back in a corner of a building space is easy to miss. Food seems to be very authentic and based on a customer's, the local Taiwanese definitely are flocking here. Come early or you miss out on some of its delicacies. Would definitely come again on my next visit!
Mimi W — Google review
Prepare to wait, Google maps misled me to think theres no wait at opening (9am) and just 15 min wait afterwards... I arrived at 8:55 and was surprised I need to get a number already. I got 34... Waited over 90 minutes for my number to be called plus another 20 for the order to be ready... So we started eating at almost 11. There's not much to do around, but there is a small park with some benches... That being said, the breakfast was really delicious and great value. Servings are quite small, so don't hesitate to order extra if you're hungry (especially after waiting for over an hour). There are many workers here (about 8-9?) so I was a bit surprised the service is a bit slow, but they're nice. All in all, I'd go again but I'd plan my visit differently!

A hidden germ in the town for Taiwanese breakfast. The restaurant start to distribute queue number at 8am, and business hours will start at 9am. Very pleasant and wonderful experience for a lovely breakfast!
Danny — Google review
The freshly squeezed soy milk made in-house is very delicious. There are some options available for vegans and vegetarians, but since the menu doesn’t have plant-based labels, it’s recommended to ask the staff. The menu is in Japanese only. It’s a popular place, so expect lines. I’ve only been there on weekends, but even 15 minutes before opening, there was always a line. This is the same even on rainy days. There is a touch panel at the entrance where you can get a waiting ticket. You can check the waiting status online, allowing you to leave the area if needed.
Lina — Google review
Little cafe that specialises in soy milk and provides Taiwanese style breakfast. We came to this place twice as it is close to our hotel and didn't lined up for that long on weekday mornings. You have to order before they allocate you a table. Staff are friendly and some of them speak/understand Chinese. For me I like the black sugar soy milk (黑糖豆浆) and rice roll (饭团). Others are delicious as well. Remember to return your trays back to the window on the side after you finish your meal.

Doutor is a delightful coffee shop that stands out for its inviting atmosphere and excellent espresso, making it a favorite among travelers in Japan. Open from 6:45 am to 9:00 pm on weekdays, with extended hours on Fridays until 10:00 pm, this café tends to fill up quickly by around 7:30 am. It features both open desks and private seating equipped with power outlets, catering perfectly to business professionals looking for a productive space.
I am generally a fan of Doutor, when traveling through Japan, for its good and reasonably priced espresso. This location is above and beyond, though; the most beautiful facilities of any locations I have seen and very thoughtful and friendly staff.

Very nice coffee shop. In weekdays from Monday through Thursday, open 6:45am to 9:00pm, and on Friday by 10:00 pm. In the morning all the seat are full by around 7:30am. Open desks and separated ones with electric power are useful for business person. Wifi is available but it's paid-one. Payment is cash or e-money only.

BUY ME STAND is a cozy American-style cafe located just a short walk from Shibuya Station in Tokyo. Known for its retro American atmosphere, it's a popular spot for visitors and even serves as a photo shoot location for fashion magazines. The cafe offers delicious toasted sandwiches, with the Apple Cheeks sandwich being a crowd favorite due to its addictive combination of pork, cheese, and thinly sliced fresh apples.
It looks and feels like a 70s American diner. We were seated at the counter on the ground floor right in front of the food prep counter so we got to watch our food being prepared. All the grilled cheese sandwiches were packed with lots of fillings which complemented the breads they were wrapped in. I love thick, toasted bread and this was absolutely it for me. The cheese oozes out / stretches (depending on which sandwich you chose. Coffee is also aromatic. Just the right things to wake the system. There're also table seats on the 2nd floor which is accessible by stairs next to the diner (outside).
Pauline W — Google review
Food was delicious and came pretty quickly. The only disappointment was the hash browns that came with two tiny little triangles (see pictures). Atmosphere was nice and quiet unlike most places in Shibuya, but maybe a little bit of jazz or quiet music would be nice. Service was okay since the worker at the register didn’t mention you get a drink with your order (only coffee or tea) so when my friend got an orange juice he ended up paying extra without knowing. The other workers however worked fast and efficiently which was nice to see.
Alex S — Google review
I really love this place. Better for lunch & the cooking can take a bit of time so better not to be in a rush. But I very much enjoy the vibe - hipster & 80’s feel to the place. The grilled cheese are super good- it’s actually my 3rd time coming here since it’s close to my office. Feel like a real Canadian grilled cheese which I LOVE!
Aurélie P — Google review
This place forte is their sandwiches but when i visit i grab the breakfast option cause im on the hunt of trying breakfast here in japan. This one is a top contender cause they do have a good breakfast set meal for around 1000 yen with a good coffee already, vibes also is a check and it opens early which is a gem since most of the restaurants here opens in the afternoon. Love the vibes of the "Gen z" staff as well. Good find! ❤️
Mara G — Google review
Griddled sandwiches come crisp at the edges and buttery in the middle; bread are thick-cut, sourdough with a gentle tang. Cheese blend pulls long without oiliness. Apple and sage add a clean lift, while a jalapeño option gives small fire. Drip coffee runs light, but balanced. Counter seats watch the flat-top, mornings at 9 are quieter, and staff don’t push, just glide.
GYOUZA D — Google review
We really liked the vibe here—once you get close to the shop, you’re welcomed by the irresistible smell of grilled cheese sandwiches. That said, the food and drinks were just okay and a bit on the pricey side. Nothing too bad, but the staff member who took our order wasn’t very friendly, so the first impression could’ve been better. We were lucky to get seats, though there’s additional space on the second floor upstairs. It’s about a 7-minute walk from Shibuya Station, tucked away in a quieter neighborhood. If you're in the mood for grilled cheese and have a bit of time, it's still a spot worth checking out!
Thomas R — Google review
I decided to try their highly recommended and popular sandwich, known as the "Apple Cheeks," but I couldn't quite grasp its popularity. It had a sweet taste and was slightly dry, which didn't quite suit my palate. Also, the coleslaw didn’t taste like coleslaw. Given the overall quality of the food, I personally felt that ¥1,450 for a sandwich + coffee set was overpriced.
J P — Google review
Yo, 10 minutes walk from Shibuya Station, Get off at "New South Exit," feel the sensation. In a quiet spot, it might not seem grand, But step inside, it's the "Buy Me Stand"! Chill vibes, straight outta the States, Stylish look, like your favorite old tapes. Upstairs, it's like a Cuban/Miami retreat, Table seats where old-school meets street. Egg in a Hole that’s crispy cheese and fine, The Cheese so good, it'll blow your mind. Simple menu, made to perfection, Every bite tastes like a true connection. From Shibuya to the USA, "Buy Me Stand" is the spot to play. American dreams in a Tokyo lane, Come through once, you'll feel the same.

Buffet restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Ginza Choshoku Lab is an upscale restaurant located in the 4-star Hotel Musse Ginza Meitetsu, offering a luxurious breakfast experience that combines Japanese and Western dishes. The buffet-style service allows guests to enjoy a hearty meal before embarking on a day of sightseeing in Tokyo. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant tends to fill up quickly, especially during peak hours.
Great value for money, fun casual Japanese style breakfast buffet with plenty of variety. Walked in as a group of 4 on a Momday morning at around 8.45a. No queue. They give you 50 minutes and you can eat as much as you want. Food is all decent but maybe not superlative. It’s kind of a fun experience though. FYI Choices are heavily savory for breakfast (which is probably the norm). This is my second visit over the years, would probably go again!
Nelson L — Google review
Unique Japanese Breakfast Experience We were craving a breakfast buffet and found this spot near Ginza. At 2500 yen for 50 minutes, the price was reasonable. The buffet focused entirely on Japanese breakfast, which was a unique experience. I won’t lie—the food was quite average, with nothing fancy or particularly outstanding in terms of taste or variety. However, the 3x3 portion setup made it feel like a charming ritual, giving a traditional Japanese vibe to the meal. It’s worth trying once for the experience, but one visit was enough for me.
Arisa K — Google review
Excellent breakfast place nestled in Ginza area. Good variety of food in small portions to try. Will be back again when in Tokyo.
Simon S — Google review
One of the best places to get a value-forward Japanese Breakfast experience aside from the Soft Sounds from Another Planet album. Provides a variety of small, seasonal dishes and light hot-pot fare- fresh and simple dishes with curious flavor combinations. Recommend making full use of their made-to-order options at the bar side, as well. Big fan of their soups and porridges :) Come on time, and be ready to head out- especially if you want to try a bit of everything. The staff is strict about eating within your reserved period.

📍Ginza Breakfast Lab ¥2750/ pax (buffet) We made reservations online as walk-ins would def wait a while. It’s located at the 2F of Hotel Musse Ginza and a lot of in-house guests and nearby patrons get lunches here. We looove the multi bento tray, and the dishes were also already placed in mini containers, except for soups, rice, and some dishes that you have to scoop for yourself. Super dope! We totally enjoyed it here.
Astrow T — Google review
The food was ok, but the selection was good and we enjoyed them for the 50 mins. If you made multiple trips, its worth the price. One grip I had was that we made a reservation but the only spot they have for breakfast was 7am. We tried but were late and didn't arrived until 9am. I really wish they have more time slots available for breakfast, cause they charge you penalty fi you were not on time.

Sotoroku is a restaurant located on the lobby level floor of Hotel Blossom Hibiya, offering stunning views of Shimbashi and Hibiya. The 18th-floor setting provides an impressive backdrop for dining, with large windows showcasing the cityscape. The restaurant specializes in soba made from buckwheat flour imported from Kyushu and serves original Japanese cuisine dishes.
Sotoroku is the hotel restaurant of the Hotel Blossom Hibiya. It is located on the lobby level floor, which has a great view of Shimbashi and Hibiya. The interior is nice, with big windows offering a great view. The staff is not very friendly and speak little English, which is unusual in a hotel in Tokyo nowadays. In addition, the service is pretty poor compared to other restaurants in this price range (expensive). The food, however, is very good. We tried lunch and dinner and were very happy with both. The sake sampler at dinner was nice, but the pour very stingy. Interestingly, the restaurant doesn’t even provide cotton napkins for dinner. We saw one table being offered cloth napkins, but all other tables had cheap paper napkins. This, in addition to the average quality of service, kind of took down the experience one notch. We recommend visiting one of the may restaurants around Shimbashi station instead. The view won’t be as good but the food will be as good. And the service very likely better.

Get the fried oysters! They are the best I've had. The rest was "good", not great. Drinks were so-so. Prices were about what you would expect in a place like this in this location.
Shawn S — Google review
Advertised time says they stop serving/taking orders at 9:30PM and that you must arrive at least 10 minutes before then. We arrived at 8:50 and they turned us away. You should consider the true closing time to be 8:30PM and not 10:30PM then, as their service does not match what was advertised online nor on site at the property. Very upsetting.
Katrina G — Google review
Horrible service! I will definitely not recommend anyone to attend this restaurant especially foreigners! Arrived 08:45pm and wait wait and wait til 21:15 pm (bear in mind there were lots of empty tables!!) and then tell us there is only salad left. What’s time point to state your last order is way later but you just don’t want to serve customers? What a stupid lie to tell you there weren’t any food left in the kitchen, apart from salad? They just don’t want us to delay them finish work!!
Manda L — Google review
The worst service I’ve experienced in Japan and I’ve been traveling in this lovely country for the past week. Such a disappointment considering how friendly the Japanese people have been. The food wasn’t terrible, but the staff, mainly the manager and waitress, both had the most sour attitude. I didn’t engage much with them, but clearly they are unhappy with their job or something else. I am staying at the hotel and would not recommend dining here for lunch or dinner.
Louisa B — Google review
They have one single restaurant for the hotel, and it’s closed for a private party :-/ Their breakfast servings end 9:30 am on a Weekend. They must have no love for the night owls 🥺
Eray B — Google review
Although this restaurant is open until 10pm you need to order your food by 9.30 and we were reminded of such a couple of times as we got to the restaurant about 9.10 . We were also served a small starter that we did order and which we think was added to our bill when we came to settle our hotel bill at the end of our holiday, but we chose not to contest this. There was only one other couple in the restaurant so not really any atmosphere. The food we ordered was served promptly and was very good, tasty and hot.
Becky H — Google review
Sotoroku is ridiculously overpriced for the food that they serve and the atmosphere that they have. We ended up paying 8.6k Yen for 2 dishes and a beer. The dishes with regards to taste were excellent, but the portions are horrendous. This restaurant wants to be a high dining restaurant, but fails to deliver that luxury feeling and is not worth it's asking price. A large disappointment.

The Shinagawa Prince Hotel is a modern high-rise accommodation offering sleek rooms and a range of amenities. Luxe Dining Hapuna, one of its restaurants, is highly praised for its quality food and service, featuring over 70 different dishes including Japanese roast beef, crabs, non-Japanese Asian cuisine, and a chocolate fountain for dessert. The hotel's convenient location near Haneda airport and Shinagawa station provides easy access to various areas in Tokyo.
Perfect location — the hotel is right across the street from Shinagawa Station, making it super convenient for getting around Tokyo or catching the Shinkansen. The breakfast experience was mind-boggling! I’ve never seen such a long lineup so early in the morning for a hotel breakfast— the line forms around 6:30 AM, but it moves surprisingly fast, so no worries there. The buffet itself is outstanding, offering a huge variety of Japanese and Western dishes, all fresh and beautifully arranged. The staff were very kind and helpful, always ready to assist despite the busy atmosphere. Overall, an excellent stay — convenient, comfortable, and an unforgettable breakfast experience!

Great hotel. Staff was really nice and breakfast was spectacular! A lot of variety of food. The views from the room were amazing as well. The only thing we didnt enjoy is that we booked months ago and let them know it was our honeymoon and they still put us in a room with 2 single beds :( would have prefered double bed on this special occasion.
Sheiilawliet — Google review
This is a solid typical tokyo business style hotel. Rooms are the standard size for hotels in this price range. Cool lounge space on upper floor that was used for a basic breakfast that was part of our room. The breakfast was fine, but I wouldn't pay extra as there are plenty of spots in area to get a quick bite. Location is the star, right by the station and a very easy trip to Haneda Airport. Stayed in January 25 and would recommend for first night in Tokyo with a plan to get on Shinkansen in the am.

We stayed at Shinagawa Prince Hotel Tokyo with our 20-month-old baby and had a lovely experience. The location is excellent — just a few minutes’ walk from Shinagawa Station, which made it very convenient to travel around Tokyo and to Haneda Airport. Although the hotel doesn’t provide a baby cot, we appreciated that the toiletries included a baby set — a thoughtful touch for families traveling with young children. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The highlight was definitely the stunning Mount Fuji view from our window — a beautiful sight to wake up to! There are many dining options and convenience stores nearby, and having restaurants and shops within the hotel complex made things much easier with a toddler. Overall, a comfortable and family-friendly stay in a great location. We would happily return again on our next Tokyo trip!

I definitely feel like a prince after this. Came with a tour so I didn’t get to experience what the hotel has to offer. I believe there are 3 buildings connected to each other with different facilities. Room was pretty good except that there were only 3 sockets. One on the table, one in the toilet and one outside the toilet wall for some reason. Most of the hotels I went came with 2 or more sockets on the table so this one was weird. Nevertheless, the view was great and the best feature for me was that it is super close to Shinagawa Station which is simply across the road. Overall a great hotel with a high price tag.
Eluko-chan [ — Google review
I’ve been standing in line for breakfast for almost half an hour now, so writing this review feels like my small battle against boredom. The hotel itself is enormous - more like a city within a city. When I arrived for the first time, I was genuinely confused about which tower my room was in. The staff’s English is acceptable, but as I’ve learned in Japan, even the simplest request can easily turn into a long and complicated process. In hindsight, I almost regret asking for anything at all. The rooms are clean and well-equipped, so there’s really nothing to complain about in that regard. The real problem lies in the endless queues - everywhere. It feels like a river of people flowing nonstop. Breakfast is a complete disaster; it doesn’t matter whether you come at 6:30, 8:00, or 9:00 - it’s always crowded and far from relaxing. The whole experience feels mechanical: come, sit, eat, leave, next! The location is definitely a plus, but that’s about it. It’s fine for short business trips, but I wouldn’t recommend it for leisure or family stays. The whole place feels impersonal and overwhelming - like being an ant in a giant anthill.

Easy to reach from Shinagawa station. Very attentive employee's, good rooms, but take care in which category you book. I am in the Annex T Tower. Cost more but much better. Great view onto Tokyo, very impressive Skyline. Definitely a place to go again, when I am back in Tokyo.
Christian H — Google review
Business hotel by shinagawa train station. Rooms are clean but small. Easy to get confused because there is an east, west, north and main wing with its own set of rooms and own check in. Due to high occupancy rates, best to book without breakfast as there are perpetual queues for breakfast at the main cafes. Over and above the confusing wings, Don’t get this confused with other prince hotels that are within walking distance… prince Sakura, prince takanawa, prince new takanawa. Omg so confusing

Le Pain Quotidien is a renowned bakery and cafe located in Tokyo, offering a luxurious breakfast experience at the base of Tokyo Tower. With multiple locations across the city, including Tokyo Opera City, Shibuya Hikarie ShinQs, and Tokyo Midtown, this international chain is known for its delicious organic bread and omelette dishes. The star of their menu is the nutritious bread made with natural yeast cultures called levain.
May 2025: Stopped by for breakfast on the Golden holiday. Tried the warm breakfast quinoa bowl which was delicious. Topped with yogurt, strawberry, blueberry, banana and walnuts. Would definitely come back for that. Reminds me of a warm oatmeal breakfast cereal. Also shared the avocado toast with salmon. Topped with pickles and radish. Lovely combination. The bread 🍞 had nice taste and texture. Service was friendly. Would definitely come back again for more delicious breakfast.

Service was good. Serving sizes were quite small. Especially for price. Very cute cafe. Ambiance was nice. Food was acceptable taste, nothing stupendous. Ordered eggs Benedict which was half of usual portion. Eggs Benedict usually comes with two eggs on two toasts. The mini pancakes were a very small portion but tasty. Food tasted good. Hot chocolate was fun but very cool temperature. He asked to get it reheated.

At first, I was ready to give this place 5 stars and say that those who gave it 1 are just picky tourists. But then I realized what the real issue is. The restaurant itself is cozy and cool inside, which is great during the Japanese summer. My order was taken quickly, and in about 5 minutes I got my coffee ☕ and jamon sandwich 🥪. The sandwich was excellent — perfectly seasoned, with aged jamon (380 days or more). The coffee was also really good, served in a teapot with a small bowl, which was a nice touch. But that’s where the positives end. My wife’s order didn’t arrive. We waited 10, 15, then 20 minutes. Finally, we managed to ask a staff member, and she ran off without saying much. After another 10 minutes, they brought her kakigori 🍧, which was just average for the price. And the iced tea 🧊🍵 she ordered? Never came. It wasn’t even on the bill — the staff simply forgot it. There weren’t many customers, yet the service was this bad. If I’m spending 5,000 yen for a sandwich, a dessert, and drink, I expect the staff to at least remember the order. Just sad. And in case anyone thinks the problem was communication — it wasn’t. I speak fluent Japanese, and my wife is Japanese. The issue is entirely with how the staff handles things here.

Always a rather quiet place to have nice breakfast. The food are usually quite good and good coffee. It’s not easy to find such relaxed place open early for breakfast in central Tokyo.

Came here for lunch and ordered the croissant sandwich lunch set. When it came out, I didn’t realize they had given me the wrong order since all the sets include salad and look pretty similar, plus I was in a hurry to eat before my next work meeting. I took one bite before noticing and told the waitress, who just said, “You already started eating.” I explained that it wasn’t what I ordered (and was actually more expensive than what I ordered). She replied, “We’ll remake it, but next time tell us earlier when it’s the wrong order,” in an unapologetic tone. If she had just taken my order correctly in the first place (which is her job) I wouldn’t have needed to say anything in the first place. Also I speak japanese fine so that wasn't the issue. Disappointing experience overall. The sandwich was also mid.

le pain quotidien is a place I've visited for the first time in mexico and i fell in love with it. let's say that the branches in japan are quite a bit different. No matter where you go the service in Japan is always good, I've never had a bad experience related to the service in Japan. the food tho was a lot of ups and downs. the hot chocolate was let's say different than what i am used to. the trio of hummus was let's say okay but different also. the granola with yoghurt was okay. the chicken pesto and cheese on a toast was okay bu nothing exceptional. the roasted potatoes with herbs were yummy. the cakes were a deception especially the pistacchio cake. in brief they can do better than this.

Loved the cafe's service, ambiance and vibes. The hot towels were a thoughtful addition. The dessert sets are quite tasty and go well with the coffee. Will definitely come again. Surprised that the other negative reviews are not based on the cafe's food but rather it's location.

Excellent vegan afternoon tea !! I’ve been here twice now and loved it both times. All the sweet and savory treats are equally delicious and made with care. Everything is served in a beautiful array and you get a great assortment of bottomless hot or cold teas to choose from. This is a great date spot, but be mindful that you get a max of 2 hours to stay there. It’s a great place to return to, as the menu is always rotating by season. Reservations are required and I believe they require at least a few days notice. Highly recommended!
Sara B — Google review
The restaurant is very shocking. I have tried it twice and was disappointed both times. They could not be bothered to make the table for dinner. The service was shockingly bad. I had to remind them many times for basic restaurant duties, laying the table, bringing a menu, taking the order, can you not bring the main course the same time as the starter /soup can you please clear the table (after waiting 30 mins after finishing mains) etc…. So many staff are just standing around and you have to get their attention. Wow. The ‘banana protein smoothie’ is basically milk with banana syrup. I watched him make it and was shocked. The fried chicken was not cooked - raw at the bone and the shrimps…. lol.

Had dinner and few breakfasts there, dinner was 100g beef steak with baked vege, very satisfying, but roasted asparagus was plain, not recommended. Standard buffet spread breakfast there, a wide range of varieties, the crews are very friendly, like their Hokkaido toast with butter + honey 🍯

I give this place 5 stars for the flavor and volume of the food. The staff was also extremely polite. Do not forget to visit the Gotenyama Garde(n) just outside the restaurant after dining if daylight remains. My only complaint for the restaurant is that we had to line up behind the office workers buying sandwiches from the deli shop (it was lunch time) to pay the bill, which was rather long at the time. Also of note is that the wheelchair accessible restroom is too far from the restaurant to be of use, and the door to it was blocked today.

Breadworks Tennozu is a modern warehouse cafe with a terrace by the water, offering cakes, breads, sandwiches, and brunch. It's located in TY Harbor and features a warm and cozy atmosphere. The cafe opens early at 7 am and offers a variety of menu options including pastries and soup of the day. With its seaside terrace, it's an ideal spot for brunch or lunch with good views.
I came here for breakfast. In the morning, if you arrive by 10:30, you'll share the terrace seating with the adjacent restaurant. The terrace has a bright and open environment, making it very comfortable to enjoy breakfast. The food quality is excellent, and I tried several types of bread, all of which were delicious. The salad in the set menu is also quite special. And coffee is just so-so. Although it's a bit far from Shinagawa Station, you can take a bus or walk there. It's a very chill option.
April Y — Google review
Being a longtime fan of their bread, I was disappointed by the deli lunch and eat-in atmosphere. I would come back just to buy bread and coffee to go. 👍Good Points- the food is tasty, especially the bread. The black coffee was tasty. There is WiFi (ask for the password). There is English signage. There doesn't seem to be a seating time limit, and there's plenty of seating. 👎🍽️💴 ¥1280, the deli plate lunch was sparse. You can get much more food elsewhere in Tokyo for that price. While the taste and ingredients are good, I still don't think the price is justified. I found myself eating the bread I bought to take home because the deli servings were so small. Comparing to Muji's similar deli plate, I would much rather choose Muji, for example. 🍽️🥖Also, with the lunch set, there are 4 types of bread available but they gave me 2 randomly. Can I choose and they just didn't ask me? Is it random? Who knows. (It was good though) 🍲🥪Other people's soup lunch looked more voluminous. The sandwiches didn't look very big but they did look tasty. 👎🎶The music was needlessly loud. I wanted a quiet cafe time but I couldn't concentrate on my own thoughts. Why are they blasting ballads? It made me wish I brought headphones.

breadworks Tennozu is a lovely hidden gem by the water with a beautifully designed interior. It’s spacious, with plenty of seating both indoors and outside, making it perfect for working quietly or catching up with a friend. Though it’s a bit of a walk from Shinagawa Station, it’s definitely worth it. They offer a wide variety of fresh, high-quality breads, and the cardamom roll is a must-try. The latte was smooth and well-balanced, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. Takeout is available, and the café is wheelchair accessible, which is always great to see. Highly recommend for a relaxed café experience in a scenic spot.

McDonald's is always my favourite when it comes to grabing a quick bite! This one has lot of sitting places with three floors. Absolutely loved the Experience and taste which is same as all the McDonald's. They way they have maintained the standards is praiseworthy. The location of this store is awesome as its right next to the station. What else you want!

Of course, you can also enjoy authentic soft serve ice cream on a cone. The flexibility in this area is as expected from Doutor. This restaurant is quite spacious, but you can also use the tables spread out outside the store, so there is quite a lot of seating. It's inside a building, so there's plenty of air conditioning. It's conveniently located close to the station, and is well separated from the Starbucks downstairs. The Milanese sandwiches are consistently delicious and are a great option for lunch. It closes surprisingly early, so be careful if you go at night. Best Starbucks I’ve seen for a very long time and definitely the best one I experienced during my two weeks stay at Tokyo. Lot of space, very pleasant atmosphere, nice staff (English speaking). Highly recommended!
Martin S — Google review
This is one of my go-to Starbucks branch here in Tokyo. I like the overall ambiance and the vibe in this store so I come here often. Only downside is that it can get really crowded so you might find yourself without a seat, especially on weekends. I usually come on weekdays. Yesterday, I dropped by to hang and get some work done. One of their staff, Yuugo, was especially attentive and helpful. He must’ve noticed my accent in the way I spoke Japanese. Midway through ordering, he was addressing me in English. I thought it was thoughtful and really nice coz while I can converse in Japanese, I’m still more comfortable in English. When I was about to leave after staying for a few hours, he was by the door and he politely stopped and gave some well-wishes. That was really nice and kind of him. Indeed, wonderful service at this branch. 😊

Worst Customer service among the starbucks in the world I am living around this area so i often visited this branch and i go to starbucks every single days for few years. However, these few days i experienced worst service at this branch. There was a bag next to me, which is not mine and the clerk asked me if the bag is mine. However, when she called me she poked me with her fingers and it was very unpleasant. Moreover, few days later, i bought the tea from the convenience store near by and ordered the latte at this starbucks. While drinking the latte and the tea together, the clerk poked me again and told me that i cannot bring the beverage from outside. I searched the website and no relevant information is found. This is the worst service that i experienced in my whole life and i won't use the starbucks again in anywhere in the world.

My second daughter ordered a "Matcha Cream Frappuccino." I ordered a "Spring Breeze Milk Coffee Frappuccino." The limited-edition Spring Breeze Milk Coffee Frappuccino says to break the strawberry ball in the middle of the drink, but it was too hard to break, so I went home and broke it with a spoon, mixed it, and drank it. I wonder if everyone broke it with a paper straw? I'm glad I bought it at the Starbucks directly connected to Oimachi Station just before getting on the train. Even after breaking the strawberry ball, there was no gel inside, so it didn't feel that strawberry-like. There was a sign on the counter saying that topping a Frappuccino with milk pudding was also good, so my oldest daughter topped it with milk pudding for the first time, but she said that even though she likes pudding, she still wanted to eat it separately, and that she preferred the usual caramel Frappuccino. The cold brew was characterized by its clean, refreshing flavor, with just the right balance of acidity and subtle sweetness. Even when diluted with ice, the flavor remained strong, leaving a pleasant aftertaste that I enjoyed until the very end. It had a deeper flavor than regular iced coffee, making it perfect for when you want to savor your drink slowly. The staff were also attentive and helpful, and I appreciated the suggested customizations they offered when I ordered. This was a Starbucks I'd definitely return to when I need a quiet break in Oimachi or when I need to concentrate on work.

It felt a little cramped, but I'd like to visit again next time I visit Oimachi. (Original) えともの中にあるスターバックスにお邪魔しました。店内にはそこそこの数の座席がありました。 作業にはちょうどいい雰囲気だったと思います。 やや手狭な感じはありましたが、また大井町を訪れた際には利用したいと思います。

(Translated by Google) The atmosphere is great, but there are only a few seats, so there have been several times when I couldn't find a seat. It's best to keep in mind that you won't necessarily be able to find a seat when you go, but if you expect to be able to find a seat, you might be disappointed. Matsuya is a convenient eatery situated in a favorable area on the bustling Togoshi-Ginza shopping street. This chain restaurant offers quick service and prepares their food efficiently, allowing customers to order through an English-friendly machine at the entrance. With its affordable prices, Matsuya delivers surprisingly satisfying dishes such as Massaman curry, which includes tender meat (likely chicken) in a flavorful curry sauce served alongside white rice and miso soup.
A chain spot that should definitely be on your list of food spots. Beefbowls are amazing and there open nice an early. You can order by machine as well for those of you who are shy!

Disappointed. The service and venue were fine. There was waaaay too much tartar sauce. The chicken was basic. Consisted of pre-grilled chicken thigh heated up in a microwave? so it was a bit chewy and some parts had an unpleasant taste. The miso soup was so, not worth eating again. The rice was fine. The cabbage salad was great.
Jesus E — Google review
Nice place to grab a bite. I tried their Massaman curry, a dish with meat (I think it was chicken) on curry sauce. It included a dish with white rice and a bowl of miso soup. Everything costed ¥730. It was really good. Texture and taste were better than I expected for such low price. Of course it’s a chain restaurant, kind of fast food, but quality of the food is good and they prepare it in a short time. You order your food through a machine at the entrance. You can use it in English.

(Translated by Google) May 2025: I ordered a beef and rice bento lunch box and a large-sized pork soup set from Matsuben Net, but a ticket stub with a call number written on it was mixed in with the pork soup. I contacted them through the official inquiry form, but I haven't received a reply for over two weeks, so I'll leave a review on Google Maps. June 2025: I ordered a Uma Toma Hamburger Set from Matsuben Net, but my item was not there, probably because it was given to another customer. I asked for the Uma Toma to be remade, but it was out of stock and I couldn't eat it. I had given my item to an Uber delivery person before, and the item was returned to me after I put it in the Ubag, so I think it would be better to check the number a little more. It seems that they are basically a single-person operation, so service is not fast, but I am grateful that they are open at all. I went in because I was interested in the tonteki, but it was sold out so I ordered unatama instead. As it is not domestically produced, I would have liked them to give me a little more sansho pepper. Thank you for the meal. Saint Marc Cafe Musashi-Koyama Shop is a delightful spot that has captured the hearts of many visitors. Known for its delicious offerings, this café serves up a variety of treats including their famous Apollo shake and parfait, which are both rich in flavor and texture. The crunchy chocolate elements combined with creamy shakes make for an indulgent experience. Guests can also enjoy warm bread paired perfectly with coffee, ensuring a cozy atmosphere to relax in.
Nice cup of coffee and selection of food items. Service is fast and highly professional, a great place to grab a coffee and snack, while shopping and exploring the area.

Both the white chocolate and pistachio chocolate were delicious. There are a lot of people working on computers in the back of the first floor and on the second floor. When I moved to the second floor, the ventilation was poor and the customer base was a little different from the one downstairs. It smelled like body odor, and the counter was also dirty. (Translated by Google) Like other stores, the coffee is delicious, but the inside of the store is not very clean, with whitish garbage-like things strewn on the floor on the second floor and the exterior wall peeling away and left as is. There was also visibly water stains on the sink in the women's restroom, which was a major hygiene concern. Personally, I will refrain from using this store in the future.
