(BREAKFAST/BRUNCH menu): in Yoyogi Uehara is hugely popular for its weekend breakfast, especially the Dutch pancake. The café itself is cozy and the pancake was truly delicious, but be prepared: we joined the online queue at 8:30am and didn’t get seated until after noon. They do mention the pancake takes 30 minutes, but by 10am, new guests weren’t even allowed to line up. It’s a lovely and comforting meal, but with the long wait, high price, and pastries/other menu items selling out early, it might be best enjoyed once the hype dies down…or if you already have other plans in the area while the phone lets you informed about the queue.

Crisp on the outside and soft inside, almost like a puff pastry. The savory Parma prosciutto and creamy burrata in the center, finished with a drizzle of maple syrup, create the most perfect balance of flavors.

Delightful little brunch spot that serves a delicious Dutch pancake with Parma and burrata; the syrup mixed with ham, melted cheese, and eggy texture of the bread is truly outstanding. And while that was impressive, I found myself LOVING the creamy salsiccia stew and radiccio, quinoa, grape salad. Both were so flavorful. In addition to the food, the ambience was so comfortably stylish—soft yellow lighting; a record player spinning out an eclectic mix of music; and modern rustic farmhouse decor.

Arrived at 12:30pm Managed to get in within 15 mins and food served at 12:50pm I came without reservation coz I saw long queue of posts on XHS if u come here 7-9am peak hours . So I decided to come by just by luck , but luckily they took us in as last table . ( that day was heavy rain) Last order is 1 pm . Order : Cream salsiccia with scone Financier Homemade ham & Camembert sandwich Fuglen black coffee The food really taste good But if you ask me to bear with the crazy queue I think I will give up Service is ok. Communication abit hard . I stood at cashier for 3 mins and the staffs didn’t even bother me 🥴 until I need to speak “ halo ???” Then only they notice my existence.

The Dutch pancake is amazing! The food here overall is 👍🏻 good. The only thing I think can be improved is the coffee? From little nap and fuglen, they’re a bit too light (I tried fuglen in the shop nearby). Highly recommended! But please do get up early and get a queue tag to dine in early!

It’s really good. And the ambiance is cool and chic. I didn’t wait in line luckily, as I went right around 1pm (lunch goes until 2pm). Some of the baked goods they were sold out of at that time, but they were still serving Dutch pancakes, which is what I wanted. It was delicious, and I’m writing this review with a watering mouth. The prosciutto and burrata cheese just complimented each other so well, then the sweetness of the maple syrup just took it over the top. I had a pour over coffee also, with beans from a local coffee shop, that completed the meal. For me, it’s something I’ll come back for again and again.

We queued for about 50 minutes, so naturally, I was expecting the food to be mind-blowingly good—something truly worth the wait. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The overall experience felt a bit average, like something you could easily get at other Western-style cafés. Their signature dishes were decent, but nothing particularly amazing or memorable. The chicken karaage, however, was a standout—crispy, juicy, and flavorful—definitely something the Japanese do exceptionally well. The cacao drink was a bit too sour for my taste, and the dark rum coffee had only a very mild coffee flavor, which was underwhelming. The pudding is also average, and the brown sugar tastes a bit bitter... In summary, it’s a nice café, but only if there’s little to no queue. Otherwise, it feels like a bit of a letdown and not really worth such a long wait.

This place is a bit confusing. It's hard to order pastries and then sit down and eat them. The ordering counter for meals (burgers, sandwiches) is at a different place than the ordering counter for pastries, but we wanted to eat pastries in the restaurant. It feels like decisions need to be made very quickly and there's little explanation of how that should happen properly. It's almost just 2 shops in the same building, where the pastry counter has no menu and you just have to take pictures of what's available if you need time to think. I think we waited about a half hour to order (which was reasonable). The pastries were pretty good/okay. I don't think there's enough butter in all of Japan to actually rival French pastries, so that should not be your bar if you're going here. We tried several different pastries and the best were the financiers and the sausage dog imo. That said, the cafe latte and the brown sugar dessert option were freaking phenomenal. I would definitely go back for those, but not really anything else. The burger was juicy, but mostly drowned in ketchup and too sweet.

May 2025: Visiting from the United States and stayed at the Grand Hyatt nearby. Workers are very friendly. Found this bakery that had amazing coffee and baked goods nearby. Coffee was fabulous with wonderful tasting notes 🎶. I normally add oat milk instead of cream. The restaurant had oat milk as an upgradeable option.👍 My favorite baked goods were the bread 🍞 and the raisin roll. Also tried the avocado 🥑 toast. Stayed at the hotel for six nights and this place was my go-to for coffee and breakfast. Probably stopped by for coffee, pastries and/or bread six different times. On the last day of my vacation, I tried a "pain perdu" which was so delicious. Reminds me of a french toast... And I looked up the name and it's literally french toast 😀. Aside from the delicious bread, this is my new favorite! Will definitely come back again when I am in Tokyo again!

One of the most popular bakery shop in the area, lots of people were queuing pf a seat. For take out, no need to wait. I waited for 20mins for a seat, then ordered. This is my third time here, every menu was delicious, especially the bakery. Coffee is ok. Salad and bread are the best

Came on a Saturday morning around 11:00 am. There was already a line and the staff said it would be around a 20 minute wait for a party of 2. It ended up taking closer to 30. You order from the register and there’s separate ones for the bakery side and food. We ordered the jerk chicken bagel and the eggs Benedict toast. The toast was delicious, and the bagel was also solid. A little pricey but it’s a nice ambiance and good location if you’re around Roppongi hills. Also got a sourdough to go, which was delicious.

The service attitude is bad: the ordering flow was so strange, you have to walk against the flow to check the pastry section after taking the number in another entry. After waiting a while to get a table, I have to walk back to make the order AND the clerk asked me serval times if I have a seat to dine in. I showed her my number ticket and told her I already have one table, then she seemed not believing me and asked me to point out where exactly my seat was. I was traveling solo, how can I put my purse in the outside table and walk back inside to make the order?! Of course I have to carry my purse around, and that does not mean that I don’t have a seat, especially I already told her many times that I already have one seat! Back to the croissant: just average. Crispy but not airy. The dark rum latte is good.

Such a cool restaurant concept! Bringing together different cultures through cuisine is a beautiful experience and Taste The World executes it perfectly. They rotate international dishes and always offer American, English, and Taiwanese breakfasts, as well as a huge variety of international beverages and side dishes. They were sold out of the Uzbek breakfast by late morning (11:30), so if you want to try the rotating main dish, you should arrive early. We had the English breakfast, churros, paxlava (Uzbek dessert), Cola Cao, and ginger chai tea. All delicious and incredibly fresh tasting! On a late Monday morning, we waited about 30 minutes for a table but food arrived promptly after being seated. The staff was all very friendly and helpful, answering any questions we had and even making adjustments to the meal. I highly recommend enjoying a meal here as your tastebuds will be teleported to the totally unique culinary flavors of a special country. We look forward to eating here again during our next trip to Japan!

We enjoyed a hearty breakfast at this cafe in Ginza. We were able to walk in on a weekday soon after they opened. The restaurant is small and only has 2 tables (one being large so you may be sitting next to a stranger). They have 3 permanent breakfast options (English, American and Thai) and then one rotating menu. I was lucky enough to try the Turkish breakfast which was excellent! I was a little skeptical as I haven’t had that before but it was very good. I ate every bite!

The price for what you get is not worth it in my opinion. The food is nothing special and the place is super tiny! We got the American breakfast. The pancakes were paper thin, the pancakes were pretty small and we barely got any breakfast potatoes. We paid around $35 dollars for two meals and two coffees. It might look like a big plate but the plates are rather small. The pancakes and coffee had good flavor. We were satisfied but not full. If you’re hungry this might not be the place to go. The staff were nice and courteous. We felt rushed because there’s very limited space and the line outside had grown. Wouldn’t come again.

Nice little restaurant, 12 seats. We got the Lithuania & Taiwan breakfasts. Very good experience, recommended if you want to try something different/unique.

Great brunch place that offer international food and it introduces new countries every few months. The place is very small so expect to wait to get a seat especially a big group. I recommend the American with scrambled very tasty and Turkish breakfast.

We are a family of 4 (two adults, two kids). We came here on a Saturday morning. I waited in line at 8:59 and got in at 9:57. Practically an hour wait, because we wanted to sit together. We were offered if we’d like to sit separately, in which case we could have been sat about 5 minutes earlier. There was a sign at the table to keep your meal to within 90 minutes during busy periods. Food arrived quickly: the first plate arrived within 5 minutes of us sitting down. 🍽️ Turkish Breakfast: we were especially excited to have menemen and borek. If you’ve tried the real deal in Turkey or any Turkish breakfast place in Europe, you will probably be disappointed like us. If your tastebuds have not been spoiled by authentic Turkish food, this is a good place for “exploring new cultures” as other reviews mentioned. 🍽️ Taiwanese Breakfast: the purple rice fantwan was tasty (the youtiao inside could have been fresher). The soy milk soup (shen doujiang) was excellent. Dan bing (egg cake) had cheese which was a surprise twist. Overall, I won’t be sad to have this meal again, which is reminiscent of our month in Taipei in February. 🍨 Churros: good fresh churros, good chocolate sauce. 🥤 Turkish coffee and Limonata were the surprise hits! Both were excellent. Our empty plates were cleared promptly. We were out by 10:26 as per the receipt. We spent 30 mins in the store. While waiting outside, we saw customers who sat around chatting after their meal (their empty dishes weren’t cleared promptly) despite the queue outside extending to the end of the block. Maybe they had not reached their 90 mins. Not sure what the customs is in Japan for sitting around while other people are standing in line outside. In my country, that’s called “taking the piss”.

This Bills is in such a great location, and it’s even better if you can get a table outside. I’ve come here a couple of times and the service has been EXCEPTIONALLY good, super friendly and surprisingly attentive, almost like they can read your needs before you even ask. Foodwise, the portions are satisfying and the taste has been consistently great. My favorite so far has been the burger; a little smaller than I’d prefer, but the flavor was absolutely amazing. I also like that the plates aren’t overly large, and this leaves room for dessert. The ricotta pancakes were soooo good! with the honeycomb butter really took them to the next level. While yes, it can be a bit on the pricey side(drinks, main plate and dessert for 2 people around ¥10,000), but considering the location, service, and quality, I personally think it’s worth it. They have vegetarian and vegan options as well which is a good point to consider! Bills has definitely become one of my personal favorites and will always be an option if I'm around.

The chicken schnitzel is good and the ricotta hot cakes did not disappoint; fluffiest we’ve ever had. The full Aussie breakie is nicely presented with the taste to match. Must try if you are around the Red Brick warehouse as there are hardly any queue.

It’s such a great spot for brunch! I absolutely loved the berry granola and oat milk matcha. The staff were wonderful, and their service was excellent.

TBH I have very high expectations after I read some posts from influencers. But sadly, I don’t think I will ever come and try again. I ordered a coffee and a honey pancake. The coffee is fine. But the pancake is super dry and salty. I put all the syrup on but still tasted salty. It is very dense too. And seems like it has been overcooked.

Decent restaurant, friendly staff. Menus available in English and Japanese. Located in the Red Brick area of Yokohama it’s a nice place for a quiet lunch. With seating both I does and out the atmosphere was nice. While the food was decent, it’s definitely more fancy than common fair and not somewhere I would bring kids, unless they like trying new things. $$$ price point. Marked it off the “to try” list but probably won’t go again.

The pancake with pistachios and berries was artistically arranged to create an enticing and delightful visual display. The iced coffee, pancake, and cappuccino were all excellent and reasonably priced.It closes later than other restaurants, which close considerably earlier.

We went around 9:30, got seated right away. We ordered toast with poached eggs and scrambled eggs. And roasted tomatoes on the side. Pretty straightforward, no sides no garnish almost. My scrambled eggs were nice. Frankly, poached eggs by themselves are too small of a portion to be served by themselves. These two mains, a side, and a coffee was over 4000 yens. Not sure if it’s worth it. I originally wanted the hot cake with bananas bur was told it would take 20 mins so I decided otherwise. They only have regular milk and almond milk. It was somewhat difficult to communicate. Nice location.

Really liked this place! Me and my family went here for breakfast and the sandwiches + the pancakes were divine! They have a vanilla milkshake that is natural vanilla made with authentic Japanese milk. And the food itself is also very authentic itself. Overall I rate everything 5 stars 💗

Five of the six in our party had the wagyu burger (the only kind of burger on the menu). The patty was thick and juicy, and satisfying to eat. I did, however, get a pretty bad burn when some of the juice/oil came out and dripped on my hand. Not really preventable by the restaurant, but not pleasant, so be careful when eating the burger, I guess. The fries were dry and not crispy at all. The fresh dill pickles were good, but a tad too sweet for my taste. Service was fairly half-hearted. The male waiter who greeted us and to whom we told we had 6 in our party, came to our table something like 10-15 minutes after we sat down to give us 5 sets of utensils. I had to ask for another set. Also, they didn’t give us any menus for awhile and we had to ask them for it. Any halfway decent server, especially at a restaurant in this price range, should give you a menu as they are seating you. The female server who gave us the menus started walking away before someone in our party could even ask a question. Surprisingly inattentive service, especially for Japan.

First time trying Bills, a shop with Australian flare. Coming from the US, honestly my taste is limited. Glad to try Bills and its delicious take on Australian foods plus possibly with subtle Japanese influence, maybe😋. Overall very yummy and relaxing experience. Totally casual. Service team is excellent. Will revisit. FYI, we mostly had desserts and salad since we ate too much during the day tour 🤣. Thanks for being here Bills 🤗

Friends and family always tell me that I’m very strict in my judgments of taste. So I was genuinely surprised by how excellent in taste and perfect in appearance each dish we tried from the menu was. Keep going — you’re doing extraordinary work. I’m truly thrilled.

Went on a Thursday evening and there was no wait and we were seated immediately. The atmosphere was great with low lighting and low music, and the restaurant wasn’t full. We were seated in the back as the rest of the customers were with a view of the Rainbow Bridge. Service was 5/5, very kind and attentive whenever we asked to order more or needed other stuff. We ordered their parmesean crumbed chicken, wagyu burger, hot chocolate, dark chocolate cashew mousse, and immunity shots. I had never had a hot chocolate served this way before and it was so good. Make sure to drink it while it’s warm or else the chocolate will harden and separate into small bits. My mom loved the immunity shots and the chicken, but one bit of the chicken was way too firm to cut and she had to pass. The burger tasted great as well and came with herbed fries. Would highly recommend.

The restaurant has a very nice ambiance and a charm about it. The staff was nice attentive but the place was packed and our waiter was very bust. I feel like there should have been 1 more waiter on the floor to help since it was so busy. Food was good and the only reason I did not give food and service a 5 was because we waited so long for our food and it came out room temperature so it was obviously siting for a while. Plus the consistency of the cook on the bacon was off as one piece was still very chewy and noticeably under done compared to the other two. Pancakes were very good but again room temperature and could have been better hot. I did like the pork fennel sausage but it also was slightly undercooked. Overall I would recommend.

This place has great food and a fantastic atmosphere. The pork loin and swordfish were delicious. The soup of the day was a tomato cream with a nice zest. I also ordered a breakfast power shake to get my energy up since I hadn’t had breakfast yet. It’s a great place for a date. We didn’t have a reservation, took us less than 10 minutes for a table but was sat in the outdoor area with the see-through tent tarp.

The food is the absolute bomb! 5000yen for the deluxe lunch let, Salad, Pasta, Main and Desert with a coffee too! Each dish was excellent with, salad had loads of goodie, the pasta was great and the fish was amazingly done! By desert time I was stuffed! Be warned don’t fill up on the complementary bread and olive oil served at the beginning or You’ll be too full!

Great value for the set meal! Came in absolutely starving and left satisfied by an assortment of wonderful appetisers, mains and desserts. There was a ~20 minute wait to be seated but the food itself came out fairly quickly. Nice indoor and outdoor seating available and so many cute dogs around! Overall a good experience.

This is a great restaurant, especially if you’re looking for contemporary American cuisine. It’s a bit on the expensive side for Tokyo; however, highly recommended for vegetarians/vegans. They’ll do their best to accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies. Service was top-notch.

I’ve been living in Japan for 8 years, and this is truly one of the best services I’ve experienced! Especially the staff member with yellow hair, he’s fantastic. Highly recommend trying their steak, perfectly smoky and cooked just right!

This was in my list for quite some time. Place gets 5 star but only for ambience and location. Weekly lunch with tea/coffee and small bread is still better to go for than long unnecessary hype on weekend. The big plates are called big but as you see in pictures rather extremely moderate! Chicken and fish dishes for 2300-2500yen is rather too high for taste, quality and specially portion size! Ideally given everything they should have been priced around 1500-1600 yen hence you pay for sitting ambience than food quality! Very average if you are food lover.

Food was good especially as they tried to help my son with gluten free options. Thank you 🙏 the burger was good. I have chicken breast coated with bread crumbs which came with mashed potato and some green rocket and a few raw tomatoes. Only criticism is I would prefer steamed vegetables or grilled vegetables like carrots peppers etc. or grilled tomatoes rather then raw because raw tomatoes does not go with hot foods. This is the only criticism for the restaurant manager to improve for the future 👍

Very busy store with a lot of tourists in the middle of shinjuku . Would say the coffee and the matcha cake that I ordered was good but seats are hard to come by , and you definitely don’t want to sit outside on such a hot day today(37oC!!!) Almost all seats are high table quite hard to sit on, but it’s connected to the mall so it’s nice place to take a break from shopping

This is the middle of Shinjuku so of course it’s crowded and hectic, but the large excellent staff manages to give everyone great service and delicious coffee — and other things. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. If you need to use the bathroom take the escalator up one floor and follow the signs.

Drinks were alright. Apple juice too sweet. But matcha and cafe latte was okay. Atmosphere was not packed, which is a plus. Good for us if want to have good conversations.

The clear objective of the space is to eliminate all distractions, allowing the customer to focus on the essential: the coffee. Sitting down, I felt that the clean, quiet atmosphere, designed with inspiration from Japanese aesthetics, allowed for a brief and refreshing "time suspension." ​The Americano: Japanese Precision in a Cup ​I chose to order a hot Americano. A seemingly simple drink, but at Blue Bottle, it becomes a true test of quality. The barista, working behind the counter with full focus, prepared the espresso at a perfect temperature and with precision, mixing it with hot water in the most accurate ratio. ​The result was a cup of coffee that demonstrated the chain's principles: a clean, balanced, and deep flavor. The Americano was not overly strong or bitter in a way that would overwhelm the palate, but rather had a medium body—rich and polished—that highlighted the fresh roast flavors of the beans. Every sip confirmed the brand's policy: using only beans roasted within the last 48 hours. ​An Experience of Luxurious Simplicity ​No waffles, no complicated sweet flavors—just me and my perfect Americano. This was an experience that underscored the beauty of simplicity and the importance of quality ingredients. At the Shinjuku branch, Blue Bottle offers not just coffee, but a designer refuge where the only thing that truly matters is the precise moment of enjoying your cup. It was a perfectly positive and refined experience that met every expectation.

We came here for breakfast and coffee was amazing, as expected! But since the place is on the G floor of a building, it's kinda noisy, too crowded, rushy, and not really cozy. I suggest to try in other branch if you're looking for a better vibe.

A very busy location but the space is large, even with the amount of people that frequent it. The coffee is very good. I had their special lavender yuzu latte and it was delicious. The only thing was that because it was busy, the wait for coffee was long. I was there on the weekend at about 1pm and the wait for coffee was about 10-15 mins. We returned the next day at around the same time (Monday) and the wait was a bit shorter.

Good strong coffee - had an iced latte, not sure it was good enough to return. Location is hard to find it’s on a lower level.

We dined here for the Halloween themed Afternoon Tea . The front desk was very crowded and we were all eventually seated after few minutes . We had reserved a table in advance but I wasn’t happy with our table facing the hallway PC and there was a ladder that didn’t add up to the ambiance. Service was good, not excellent. Coming to the tea selection, there were good options. And afternoon tea menu was seasonal and done to perfection keeping the theme at every bite . I had requested for vegetarian savory items(burger and crepe )and they were delicious. The scones were on the heavier side. The cakes and chocolates were indulgent and the flavors were spot on. The pudding was on the sweeter side, wish it had a fruit in it. The staff should have been much more attentive and warm. Overall, a satisfying experience . But not sure if I would go back .

I always go here for big family gatherings ♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪ everyone gets to pick and eat what they want so it works out perfect!! They also have seasonal bread that they introduce in the beginning!! For summer they has a strawberry melon bread (the pink bread pictured) always so cute ✌︎('ω')✌︎ recommend also leaving space for dessert because theres at least 6 different desserts!! (๑ᵔ⤙ᵔ๑)

Couple weeks back we came here for their: The French Kitchen’s Crab and Roast Beef Semi-Buffet Dinner with Seasonal Desserts There is absolutely nothing negative that I can say about our unforgettable night gorging ourselves for 3+ hours! The king crab- so delicious. You have no idea how much 800g of crab this really is. My wife could not finish even half of hers, so I helped her out. The roast beef- I swear I must have gone up 6 times, getting 2 slices each time. Such a high quality beef- it was so tender, so tasty, and perfectly cooked (bloody rare in the middle sections). The sauces they had made it too difficult to choose from so I tried them all. And they were really great. The softshell crabs - of these were off the hook, soooo good! Can't count how many I downed, but I know it was an obscene amount. The remainder- they also served some salads and a crab gratin pasta dish which was good. But had to concentrate on the beef and crabs because there was only so much you can eat when eating at an all you can eat buffet. The desserts were very yummy and had just enough room left to do some damage in this department as well. The level of service was incredible. The quality of food was unreal. This was our first time coming here for a buffet, and it will not be our last! I can't wait to see what their next buffet will be.

We came for their king crab and roast beef buffet special. Everything except the crab was great. The crab itself was so dry and I think they cooked it all that morning then stored in a refrigerator where it dried out to almost jerky consistency and lacked depth of flavor. Very disappointing. However the roast beef was delicious as well as the side dishes like fried soft shell crab and crab gratin.

Had breakfast here this morning and I very much enjoyed the food service and it was a wonderful breakfast. Restaurant is in second floor and had a smart decor. Buffet has many options with salad, fruit, rice porridge, cereals, breads, egg station for omelets and more. Then at your table there is a small menu which you can order eggs Benedict (only one comes each order), French toast, waffles, pancakes as well. Delicious lattes, teas juices and all are included.

Lunch buffet is fantastic value. The food is delicious with big selection of each category. Great deserts. If you like scallops, have the scallops from the regular menus. They are super delicious. Beautiful outside seating terrace too

Perfect place to stop by for an afternoon tea that has a perfect balance of sweets and savouries. A couple of months ago I tried the Takashi Murakami Flower Afternoon tea set here. Though kinda pricey, the flower themed desserts and savouries were not a feast for the eyes but were quite delicious. Loved the selection of organic teas from “Art of Tea” collection as well. Worth a visit if you are a fan of afternoon tea sets.

The food was amazing. I liked the roost beef. There was also plenty of desserts. Plant of bread and drinks. I didn't need to wait because I reserved the table. I also got many free crab added. Because it was their anniversary. And it was fresh and delicious.

It’s not cheap but price is worth it. Ate Hokkaido dishes + mix of Japanese, Chinese, & Western food. You order your food via website (you get the QR code after you are guided to your seats). There are 2 dishes which you can order only 1 per person, but with so many food to choose from, it’s fine for me. The staff was nice too 😃for my companion with nuts allergy, they gave us 1 menu paper with all dishes with nuts crossed out 🙂

I’m Japanese but coming from UK. That’s top class of new normal style in Japan due to this challenging circumstance. It’s deliriously tasty food in secured safety space. I recommend you that’s Japan hospitality as well.

My family had an amazing lunch here. The food was superb and the staff were excellent. We did the Christmas lunch buffet for 5000yen and it was worth it.

Save your money and don’t bother with this place. It’s overpriced & underwhelming. $8,500 yen per person for mediocre food. They entice you with crab and steak but limits you to 1 max. The sushi quality is low & everything was oddly portioned. They sent out a plate for one bite of food.. the table was packed with a ton of dishes (rarely taken away) which made for an awkward experience. I sat down at 6pm… at 6:30pm the waiter came to us and said it was last call to order & we were approaching our max time limit. The whole experience felt rushed. Save your money and don’t eat here.

The food is delicious, better to go a bit early or late. Although the ocean/bay view is awesome, on sunny days the curtains are closed during breakfast.

I recently visited this buffet for lunch and, unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. The food was mediocre at best and certainly not worth the high price. You also had to pay for drinks (except for tea, coffee, and water). Most of the dishes were cold and lacked flavor. Despite the “Meat Fest” theme, the selection was minimal, and what was available was not tasty. The poke with avocado was disappointing. I’ve had much better experiences at other hotel buffets. If you’re in Yokohama, I recommend exploring local restaurants instead—they’re likely more affordable and offer a far better dining.

I went to celebrate a special event at noon. The ambiance inside the 5-star hotel is beautiful and refined, and you can see the level of attention to details. I found the service excellent, the staff was very friendly. I really enjoyed the food, there were many dishes to try, and although some weren't to my liking, most were very good in my opinion. The desserts were also delicious. I will definitely return in the future.

The breakfast buffet was 4,200 yen for adults, which is not too bad after using 2,000 yen f&b credit being intercontinental ambassador and staying in the same hotel. The variety of food was okay, nothing numerous. The taste of food was good. I loved the Japanese food herem. It's too bad that I could not try everything because I was too full. The servers were nice. This was the first intercontinental hotel buffet in Japan that I've tried, so nothing compared at this time.

Every year when we visit Yokohama, we eat here at Ocean Terrace. Food quality was good and atmosphere was good as always, their service that night was very poor. Drink we ordered did not serve for half an hour, the plates we finished not taken as our table was pile up with plates and glasses. They need more improvement and hope to see you next year again with their exceptional service as they used to be.

I checked in the hotel rather late on my arrival , I didn't have much choices for my dinner . The food & drinks they served really didn't worth US$55 . A rather disappointed buffet dinner inside a 5 stars hotel. Also, the steps around the food area is not good for people holding a plate of food.

I had the opportunity to try the lunch buffet. The restaurant is situated inside the Intercontinental Hotel and has a nice open view of the ocean. The buffet featured a number of dishes from all over the world, and all the offerings were quite delicious. The portions are quite small, which means you can have a good sample of all the dishes without getting too full.

Simple, healthy and absolutely delicious meals in a hurry. Matsuya has been my go-to every time I come to Japan. They're consistent and delicious. Such an easy process to purchase food and the food itself never disappoints. 👌

Staff would not stop coughing while cooking and preparing food. Even with a mask, the mask won't last all day if there is steam from cooking.. I could barely eat my meal after the staff member projectile coughed the entire time preparing it.

Great little spot for a bite to eat. Delicious food, very fast, cheap, and easy if you don't speak Japanese, you order at a little machine which has English. Don't be fooled by the low price and humble look of the set meals, they're very large and filling!

We stumbled upon Royal Host while looking for a late dinner spot, and had the unique experience of trying western-inspired family restaurant. Be advised that staff do not speak English, but don’t let that be a barrier to trying this place! The sets are large with appetizers like salad with onion dressing and French onion soup. Sets also come with a dessert parfait which you can upgrade to the limited time strawberry for just ¥300. It was very nice. If you’re expecting 100% western food you may be disappointed, but keep an open mind about the Japanese-western fusion! It might surprise you.

This place is quite controversial. On one hand, it's probably one of the best family restaurants in Japan, but on the other, for the same price, you could dine at a regular restaurant with even better food quality. Pros: The food quality is at least three times better than other family restaurants. They even serve a decent steak 🥩 where you can choose the doneness. The drink bar is fantastic, offering a wide variety of teas 🍵 that you won’t find in any similar restaurant. There’s also a fridge with different lemonades and a proper coffee ☕ machine. Cons: Expect to wait 30 minutes to an hour just to get a table. The prices are on par with a regular, non-family restaurants. Even though you can choose steak doneness, ordering rare will likely result in medium at best. The drink bar cost. And for heaven’s sake, clean the lamps—they have a thick layer of dust and hang directly over dining tables. Conclusion: It’s a decent spot if you just want to sit and chat for a few hours—but that’s questionable given the long wait time. If your main goal is good food, you might be better off at a regular restaurant.

Quite an affordable place to eat around the Ginza area. I enjoyed my Hamburg. It was very juicy and tender. My friends also liked their meals and had fun trying out the different drinks in the drink bar especially the chocolate and coffee options. There are a lot of food choices as well. Unfortunately, they ran out of desserts. The place is not too loud so you can have a good conversation. The staff were very friendly too.

Place is alittle worn down feel like an 80s dinner but the service and food makes up for it. Everyone is eating the parfait but we were so full from the food its hard to take another but. If you plan on going here kindly reserve a qr early on we had to wait almost an hour to get in.

This was not a bad place. We looked around, it was still a bit early. But we stopped here and ordered food. So they have a tablet that has an English menu on it. We were able to place our order, the staff brought it out. There was also a drink bar. Passionfruit juice was really good. I ordered butter soy sauce chicken. It came with fries and an egg on top. It was pretty good. The chicken thigh was cooked well, still tender. Somehow my picture wasn't saved for my meal. Hubby ordered the french toast. He enjoyed his meal as well. Not terrible pricing. They have a drink bar and set meals.

Awesome lunch deal. Quick, no-frills, tasty sushi at an affordable price. Highly recommend popping by if you're around the area and looking for something quick and easy that doesn't break the bank. Akami, hotate, and toro taku temaki were enjoyable. Shari was still slightly warm so it went well with the decent cuts of neta.

Surprisingly good for a restaurant in a train station! The menu options were impressive, with so many interesting and delicious-looking meals. Unfortunately, I have a small tummy, and it was our last day in Japan. I’m glad this was our farewell meal before leaving! I especially loved the boiled crab and crab miso appetizer! The savory taste was the perfect starter for me. My husband was amazed by his jumbo shrimp rice bowl; the actual portion was much larger than the menu picture. Typically, portions are smaller than advertised, but this restaurant exceeded our expectations. For the price we paid, we felt we were getting more than our money’s worth. The tempura was fresh, served hot, and the batter was light and fluffy. I suggest sharing a meal and ordering several small bites from the menu to sample more dishes. I wrapped up my Japan trip with unagi, which I hadn’t had the chance to eat since arriving in Japan. No regrets! The eel was soft, fresh, and cooked to perfect tenderness. I was very happy with my set. I wish I could have tried more from their menu and hope to return someday. Service was fantastic. Meals were served quickly, and the chefs were so enthusiastic, greeting every guest with welcoming energy. The floor staff were helpful, courteous, and always smiling. This restaurant has one of the largest seating capacities we’ve seen. We were lucky to be the first customers of the lunch crowd, getting seated immediately and having our orders taken promptly. When I don't have much time but still crave delicious sushi, I always swing by this standing counter. Apparently, sushi was originally a fast food, a quick and easy meal for everyone. I think anyone, even foreigners, could easily try it, whether they go for a set menu or à la carte.

There was a very short line, but we were looking forward to eating sushi too much not to wait. We ended up waiting for 15 minutes. Then we were taken to the table. The staff was friendly and fast. We had some vegetarian hand-rolled sushi, some maki with tuna & avocado, and a fish mix bowl (I don't remember the exact name). We sunk it all with some Asahi beers. In the background the chefs were having some fun talking to one another. It was a pleasant atmosphere.

sushi, unagi, and salad were delicious and affordable, especially during lunchtime! workers were very friendly and accomodating. one worker was especially observant, and even brought us ice since he noticed we thought the tea was too hot. very good experience, would come again!

It was one of the best sushi experiences that I had in Tokyo, we ordered the combination menu for two people with 32 pcs which helped us to taste all sorts of real japanese made sushi, what I like was the addition of the Wassabi between the fish and the rice which was just the right amount when I add it myself :)) , the staff were very polite and the kitchen is super clean, a bit pricy with two miso soup and one bear and one palm wine, the total cost was around 12000 yen, I will definitely come back again!

No. 4 Café may look like an unassuming single level building in the bustling city of Tokyo, but it was already crowded even on a Monday morning at 9am. When I arrived, I took a queue number and noticed that there were already 6 groups ahead of me. Since I was dining alone, I selected the option to sit anywhere, including outdoors. It did not take long before a waiter guided me to an outdoor seat. Orders were placed conveniently by scanning a QR code. I ordered the French Toast Combo Set together with a cup of iced Americano. The food was served within 15 minutes and looked absolutely fantastic. The French toast came with a variety of sides, which allowed me to mix and match different ingredients to create unique flavour combinations with each bite. Overall, it was a hearty breakfast that was both delicious and beautifully presented. This is definitely a café that should not be missed if you are in Tokyo.

We got here around 8:30am and put our names on the list. It was about a 35 minute wait. When we got seated, they did have an English menu so really easy ordering process, and our server was so sweet. I ended up getting a coffee and though I do not remember the name, I remember it was delicious. For the main show I got the French toast breakfast it came with a fried egg and this whipped butter that was to die for!

The French toast is moist, and the seasoning is not overly sweet at all. Both the bread and the dipping sauce are delicious. I highly recommend the brunch here ✨

Just solo or with the butter They do have a seasonal French toast that changes monthly. Be warned ‼️ this place went viral on social media so expect a LONG wait. Especially on weekends. Waited 2-3 hours in past. Ngl this is main reason I don’t come often 🤣 Thankfully they’ve added a ticketing system No line usually before closing. Last order is at 8:30pm Place can be pretty noisy btw 10/8 update came for 🎃 pumpkin French toast. Was great but know they’ve raised prices a bit 🫠

I needed something savory before heading out so I popped in to get a sandwich. At first I was worried because the bread looks hard but once you bit into it, the crust opened up to a warm, soft center. The egg was also nicely cooked and there was definitely some sort of sauce or other "dressing", adding an additional flavor. The matcha latte I had was okay. Nothing bad but also nothing to write home about. I did find it a little unclear that you needed to order a drink with the sandwich. It wasn't an issue though. The space is small, so expect to wait and if you can't get a seat outside, you'll be taking your order to go. Also, there's quite a bit of smoking which was unpleasant.

We loved loved loved this spot, we went back several times. I’ll be thinking about that egg sandwich when I get home! It’s something special. We also got the prosciutto sandwich which was also so good! Definitely recommend! I didn’t get a photo of the egg sandwich but it was delicious! Also the barista remembered my name when I came back which is always a nice touch!

Very small space, you have to seat in a bench right in front of the shop, but I loved the the sandwich and coffee, service was very good also. Had the Brie cheese, with apple sandwich, never had anything like this before and loved it. Definitely would visit again.

Had one of the best macchiatos and sandwiches here. My wife got the tamago sando and I got the prosciutto and ooba sandwich here. They both were delicious and paired perfectly with our drinks. Not only was the food and coffee god but the staff were FANTASTIC! They were such lovely and cool people who took out the time to chat with us. I also ended up getting some really dope house brand socks. The atmosphere was great and well organized and the seats outside provided for a some cool vibes and photos. Would highly recommend and will be stopping by again on my next visit to Japan

Bread and Tapas SAWAMURA NISHIAZABU TOKYO Dinner is also recommended It’s bakery restaurant. Tapasus dishes that go well with wine are a staple of Spanish restaurants in my part of Hong Kong. If you have ever heard that Japanese bread is delicious, you should try the bread here. Because, as far as I know, it is the best bread in Japan, and the reason is that you can eat it every day. The food goes well with wine, plus good bread, so it is very satisfying. The atmosphere is more like coming with family or friends, but since there is a counter, there are probably many customers who come alone. When I visited the restaurant, it was empty, but I recommend making a basic reservation to visit the restaurant. On this day, I came to Tokyo right after arriving from Hong Kong without having eaten anything, so I asked for a little too much. （笑）

I came here in January 2020 and had the most unexpectedly good latte I’ve ever had (the honey cinnamon latte). I came back 3 years later and it’s just as good! Pastries were also delicious—I had a butter croissant and cinnamon roll. The croissant was phenomenal and paired amazingly with an iced honey cinnamon latte. I highly recommend this cafe!

Stopped by in the afternoon to grab a coffee, and it was a moderate strength and OK. It was quite quiet and the atmosphere was nice to be able to catch up with a friend or do some reading in a quiet, clean and modern cafe. We didn't try any food, but the menu seemed to serve Italian fusion food.

Tried their Norwegian salmon and honey caramel latte for lunch. Good food and service! They also serve a complimentary bread basket and they have a wide selection of pastries as well.

I easily liked this place, its more of a european concept. Be sure to go there in the morning to get freshly baked pastries! I specifically liked the mushroom tartine, also the walnut bread with cream, plus of course their coffe.

A quaint bakery/breakfast spot, with the to go bakery goods served on the entry floor, and thr restaurant on the second floor up a long winding spiral staircase. We only went to eat at the restaurant, so this review will be about that experience. However, all the pastries and baked goods looked delicious. The breakfast sets all sounded great, and we settled for the toast set and french toast set. Both were filling, tasty, and enjoyable with the relaxing ambience. A bit pricier for breakfast, but that might be par for the course here in Tokyo.

Got table 18 for the 18 breakfast! We made a tourist mistake a rocked up at 10:30am with no reservation and guess what, it was sold out 🥲 But luckily they allow (at least when we were there) to make a reservation for the next day! It was amazing to see it within the temple grounds. Returned the next day and heaps of people were just waiting but with a reservation we just strolled in, sat and ordered our 18 set meal. Definitely an experience to have a range of Japanese breakfast items to taste in a cafe style but to me its a once and done as while well cooked and presented, wasn’t a fan of everyone of the 18 meals. More of a photo op experience with a focus on food variety.

Located on the temple grounds with the information center lies this restaurant that does an amazing 18 item breakfast that has daily queues. While each individual item is small, it's overall a filling breakfast once you get through it all. Every dish has its own flavour, though we felt some items were a bit too salty. Each set was 2000 yen which seemed fair for what we got and where it was.

Quaint small cafe with proper Japanese breakfast. Only 2 choices when we were there. Congee (savoury porridge) with 16 types of topping, or a piece of salmon with mixed grain rice (it looks like Korean mixed rice - purple coloured). We had the salmon and it was sublime. Be careful of the cut of the salmon as it may have a few bones.

We got a brunch menu. Food was great and reasonably priced for what they offer. Cute place with aesthetic, relaxing atmosphere. One thing to note is make a reservation beforehand or go early. Otherwise you might have to wait for a long time because even with a bunch of empty tables, they take guests with reservations first.

We came here during lunch time and had to wait for around 20 mins. They used a self-service machine to get the queue numbers. The foods were great and were beautifully plated. The ambience was nice and peaceful. This place was very close to the Tsukiji Market.

We came here on a Thursday morning and there was no line, we were able to get a table quickly without a reservation. The 18 course breakfast was good, it was nice sampling a variety of dishes, although I was not a fan of some of them. The standout dishes were: - yuba with salmon roe - sweet kombu tsukudani - matcha jelly - fried eggplant with seasonal ground soy meat - spicy cod roe & seaweed - roasted duck with sansho pepper - deep fried fish cake Overall, Tsumugi was a great option for breakfast and we had a good time trying the variety of dishes. I visited this cafe for the first time in Hokkaido. The pancakes were very tasty, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. So I expected Yokohama to have the same taste. To be honest, although the pancakes didn't taste bad, they were completely ordinary and not tasty enough to make me want to go back again. A little disappointed. 😅 The waiting time was also very long. We waited a long time for the first order, and the dessert and coffee took another long time.

Salad is just Okay, but the pancakes is really good. Very soft, not sweet, good flavor. It was really good with their syrup

Came for the first time and there was a line but didn't have to wait too long to be seated. Lunch sets are reasonably priced considering their portions! Comes with a main, pancake and a drink! We got their recommended lasagna-pancake set as well as their sirloin steak set! Their baked potatoes with sweet chili sauce and sour cream was bomb! ❤️💯

Order the lasagna with pancakes set and pancakes with strawberries. Pancakes is not fluffy enough. Lasagna the ingredients tatse not wow.

I got my pancakes with a side of lasagna and it was actually pretty good! I normally am let down by lasagnas in Japan but this balanced well with the pancakes even though I'd never typically think to pair them together. The pancakes portion was also pretty good and worked well as a shared dessert between me and my friend. The cafe is also quite cute and comfortable, although it can get extremely busy with a considerable wait on weekends.

Good pancakes and maple syrup. Salad dressing was also good. However, the sofa was quite uncomfortable for dining.

I was looking to try pancakes at this place long time ago since it is well known for pancakes, but what I got is really disappointed ☹️, the pancakes are so dry not even smell good too , whipped cream and caramel doesn’t save the cake too , will never ever recommend to anybody who wanna try pancakes here , expensive and not worth

This boutique hotel is well located, near all the shops in Cat Street and Omotesando. The friendly staff, amazing food, bar, smell and attention to details in the room, made our stay very special! I would come back again soon!

Previous guest of Claska and I have a big love for Ace Hotels. I thought this could be a similar vibe. Tbh, we paid a good amount of change for a weeks stay. The room had damp issues, I found myself paying $50 for a double serve of muesli in the morning, which was rough. The lobby was chaotic, not in a good way. My biggest issue was on departure, where we had already paid 100% of the cost for the room at the time of booking, only to be told we needed to pay the entire amount again (multiple thousands), as the initial charge was just a 'hold of funds'. This felt absurd to us, and I've not come across holds being used for entire cost of stay. It was also not indicated on our receipt of payment and felt super scammy. We were then treated in a hostile manner, as though we were trying to get out of payment. This was not an enjoyable holiday experience and there's no way I'd be staying again.

I stayed two nights at this hotel (from Friday to Sunday), for the second time. The place remains as elegant as ever — the design is refined, contemporary, and full of character. My room was cosy, impeccably clean, and the bed exceptionally comfortable, hard to leave in the morning! The staff were highly professional, friendly, and attentive. I had dinner at Trunk Kitchen, and the meal was absolutely delicious. However, I was disappointed by the breakfasts. They are served at the table, as plated dishes that are far too generous. The salmon plate, for example, also included bacon, sausages, lard, and vegetables, too much, and an odd combination. On the other hand, the fruit, yogurt and granola plate was excellent, light, balanced, and very tasty. One downside during my stay: the hotel was hosting several weddings, which made the atmosphere quite noisy. The bar was almost inaccessible, and the usual calm, intimate vibe of the place was missing. Despite this, Trunk Hotel remains a beautiful address in Tokyo, stylish, comfortable, and supported by an outstanding team.

As Americans traveling in Japan, we were so grateful to find this spot! It was exactly what we needed — an easy, delicious breakfast and a relaxed space where our kid could be comfortable. The location is beautiful and absolutely worth the walk. The service was top-notch, and when our child wasn’t feeling well, the staff went above and beyond to help and make us comfortable. Such a kind and welcoming place — a real reprieve while we were in the area!

When booking my stay at Trunk for 6 nights in June 2025 I really didn’t think it would end up with writing a 1 star review for my experience but I’m sharing my feedback so that anyone considering booking this hotel is aware. My main issue with this property is value for money. I paid 64,000 yen per night (680AUD) which is the most money I’ve ever spent on a hotel but from looking at the photos and the way it is marketed online, and it being my first time solo travelling, I decided it was worth it to spend a bit more money. The rooms are extremely dated, they would have been great 5-8 years ago but it is clear they are not maintained. Old, stained carpets, walls that need repainted, rusted taps and a terrible musty smell in the room and main corridor. I think it’s outrageous that a company charging this much money for a hotel room does not care enough to carry out upgrades to their room and present them in a way that matches their online presence. This could be classed as false advertising. Another thing to look into is that you are advertised as a 4-star hotel on google & 5-star on other booking platforms, this kind of inconsistency is misleading for guests. To their credit, the vast majority of the staff were so lovely, including the manager, who I voiced this feedback to. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with a bartender when I went to cash in my free drink voucher. This experience left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and I did not feel like I could relax in the lobby area for the remainder of my stay. As I mentioned this was my first time solo travelling as a female and in general Japan has felt so safe to me during my trip but the fact I didn’t feel comfortable in my hotel was not ok. If you are considering this hotel for your Tokyo trip, I really do think you can get much better value for money elsewhere.

We absolutely loved staying the Trunk hotel. The location is definitely fantastic, especially if you intend to walk around or train most of the time you're here. We loved the staff and the vibes of the place, while the lobby could get crowded with people working or at the bar, it never felt too busy and the staff always took care of the guests. The location really is the highlight as there are tons of great shops and restaurants within a 10 min walk. Next time we're in Tokyo, will 100% be staying here again.

Minimalist, elegant hotel in an excellent Shibuya location close to many train lines and restaurants. I have stayed in two different rooms. Both were very small but had a high level of finish and attention to detail. Staff - as you would expect - is extremely attentive.

Came here on a sunny Saturday afternoon early may at 1245 and was able to get a seat upstairs in the lukes lobster side. Ordered the cheese burger 1300 yen, wagyu katsu burger 3300 yen and the route burger at 1700 yen. All were quite decent, we all had high evaluation on the burger taste. The wait for the burger was around 20 mins which is a while - but worth it. Definitely worth trying.

It's very crowded with tourists, and I don't recommend it for tourist. What a shame—everything is overpriced. Save your money; this is my first and last time here. Don't order the mango drink; it costs 900 yen and tastes more like artifical juice with added pineapple—there's no real mango flavor for this prices. Mangoes are overpriced in Japan. Japan seems reluctant to import a variety of fruits, even with nearby countries like Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore, likely because they fear that no one will buy them from their chain stores.

This place is dirty. Hands down maybe the worst upkeep I’ve ever seen, we visited 09:00 (they opened at 07:30) and this was the buildup. I refuse to accept that this was from 1 and a half hours of work. The water faucet from the cooler is actually molding, I don’t think it has ever been cleaned. The burger was fine, it’s to be expected that they serve you extremely white bread with no chewy-ness but I’m surprised that they don’t give you the option for something more filling.

I went there on a Monday morning at 11 AM. It was already crowded, so I waited 40 minutes with my friend. I have to say, it might have been the best burger I have ever had. I am biased because I love eggs, the eggs were cooked perfectly. I got the limited edition salmon burger. IT WAS SO GOOD. I want to go back there again. The wait was worth it. There's also a bakery next to it that sold bread. I didn't try it, but it was nice to look at while waiting. The service was quick in my opinion for a crowded service.

I really enjoyed the food at Eggslut! Their burgers were cooked perfectly, juicy and full of flavor. I also tried the hash browns, which were crispy and delicious. The staff were friendly and quick to fix a missed meal. Great spot for lunch or dinner!

I’ve always heard how good egg slut was and this lived up to the hype! This was the perfect breakfast sandwich. It was crispy, soft, and flavorful in the all the right ways and satisfied my every need that morning. Besides that, the wait time for the food was a quite long, but they were so busy and trying their best to keep up with the high volume of customers. Typical cafe atmosphere, some seating is available upstairs and downstairs. If sitting outside be prepared for pigeons flying and walking around.

We stopped here for the lunch. The egg sandwich and the burgers are amazing. I love the no bread option with salad instead. This was our first visit to Eggslut and we hope to visit more locations back in America.

Super “French toast”! Nice atmosphere, fluffy -almost pudding texture inside, edge was crispy - home made bacon got nice rosemary hint - have it with maple syrup - our mouth were super happy with texture and sweet savory taste 😋 oh and don’t forget to try the An butter sandwich too! It’s extremely delicious! Expect to spend around ¥2,000–¥5,000 per person. A cozy gem where simplicity meets flavor.

Neatly tucked away down a side street. It’s small, quaint and very Japanese cool. Here you will find some delicious food, coffee and ambiance that is renowned in Japan. Got there early and were greeted by a lovely lady who sat our party of 6 no issues. I’d imagine if you get there later you’ll wait as there were people waiting outside. I double meal’d it. Went the French toast and a croque madam as the avo was sold out. The chef has a special touch, French toast is a winner with the cheese and maple syrup and bacon combo, the croquet madam was balanced and the bechamel super tasty. Both were sensational. Coffee was cold drip and the rest of the boys loved their meals too. Highly recommend!

This was my favorite breakfast in Tokyo! This bistro is in Shibuya, but it is tucked away. It had great vibes/music. The French toast was chef's kiss! I still think about the salmon bagel with tomato jam! Yum!

Came here for brunch with a couple friends. The place is small but very cozy and we very much enjoyed our meal, so much so that we came back the next morning for another breakfast. Highly recommend getting the French toast and bacon, it was SO good. If you sit at the bar you can also watch the workers prepare the food, which we enjoyed doing as well. Would be tough to have a group of more than 4 people, they can’t really accommodate large groups, so keep that in mind

Bistro Rojiura is a very cool little breakfast spot tucked away in a Shibuya back alley. The French toast is crispy on the outside, somewhat gooey on the inside, and absolutely delicious, even without syrup. The bagel with cream cheese, shredded salmon, and tomato jam is a savory treat, though there were a few too many sprouts for my liking. Both items make for a great breakfast treat, but I would argue that the options were a little too small for the price.

Nice place to have a posh breakfast (therefore quite pricey). Lots of natural light coming from the big windows and the overall atmosphere is very lively. There's a big round table with some power outlets. But no wifi is quite unreasonable these days. Will come back to try their pastries.

Had a cheese burrito that wasn't really a burrito at all in the western sense but it was really nice. Heaps of cheese and bacon inside wrapped up in some sort of bread that was more like a crepe. Coffee is good but as usual in Japan the beans are way over roasted but their baristas know what they are doing. They also serve Bonsoy for soy lovers like myself. The crossaint wasn't very fresh and quite hard whicj was a disappointment considering they are a bakery. The panini was nice too.

Nice and friendly staff. Coffee is good. This is medium coffee. Prices are $$ but it is a little high-end. One area for recharging your phone. Which good. An area with books for you to read. Music is nice and relaxing like Jazz and blues. They do breakfast as well. B&E on toast and other options. Bread products as well. Some very cute small size rolls and very delicious looking items. It’s just a same I couldn’t find a nice little treat to eat with my cup of coffee.eg a cookie or scone.

Great cafe to have a quick bite. Shirodashi cheese bread is truly a gem.

I went for breakfast with a few friends and very quickly got a seat. The staff were very friendly and also spoke English very well. I ordered the eggs Benedict and it was cooked perfectly. The biscuit, ham, and hollandaise sauce perfectly complemented the meal. My friends ordered the lumberjack meal and they really enjoyed it as well. I plan to go back and try other menu items when I have the time. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good breakfast or brunch.

This is my third trip to Tokyo, and each time, I have to have Jade5 at least once (probably more than once) before I leave. This brunch spot puts most brunch spots in the states to shame. It's a tiny space and there is usually a wait, but it's all worth it once you sit down. Their small list of food options are executed perfectly, especially their blueberry pancakes which have been voted the best pancakes in the world (by me). Quit having mediocre fluffy pancakes around Tokyo, and stop by Jade5 for the real deal. True western style flapjacks that will bring you to tears.

Being a short walk from where we were staying, it was a fantastic find. Others explain the menu better but it was nicely priced for really good breakfast food. Wide variety great flavors super cool vibe. Is popular. You may very well. Wait and in good weather you just hang out outside outside. Especially for an American, having a taste of home with such a good breakfast was a treat.

My husband and I had this at the tail end of our trip and it was pretty good! A nice western style breakfast the pancakes were crisp fluffy. I just wish that the potatoes had a little bit more seasoning. Small weight because the shop is small but the workers and the waiter was really awesome and nice.

Food was delicious and came pretty quickly. The only disappointment was the hash browns that came with two tiny little triangles (see pictures). Atmosphere was nice and quiet unlike most places in Shibuya, but maybe a little bit of jazz or quiet music would be nice. Service was okay since the worker at the register didn’t mention you get a drink with your order (only coffee or tea) so when my friend got an orange juice he ended up paying extra without knowing. The other workers however worked fast and efficiently which was nice to see.

I really love this place. Better for lunch & the cooking can take a bit of time so better not to be in a rush. But I very much enjoy the vibe - hipster & 80’s feel to the place. The grilled cheese are super good- it’s actually my 3rd time coming here since it’s close to my office. Feel like a real Canadian grilled cheese which I LOVE!

This place forte is their sandwiches but when i visit i grab the breakfast option cause im on the hunt of trying breakfast here in japan. This one is a top contender cause they do have a good breakfast set meal for around 1000 yen with a good coffee already, vibes also is a check and it opens early which is a gem since most of the restaurants here opens in the afternoon. Love the vibes of the "Gen z" staff as well. Good find! ❤️

We really liked the vibe here—once you get close to the shop, you’re welcomed by the irresistible smell of grilled cheese sandwiches. That said, the food and drinks were just okay and a bit on the pricey side. Nothing too bad, but the staff member who took our order wasn’t very friendly, so the first impression could’ve been better. We were lucky to get seats, though there’s additional space on the second floor upstairs. It’s about a 7-minute walk from Shibuya Station, tucked away in a quieter neighborhood. If you're in the mood for grilled cheese and have a bit of time, it's still a spot worth checking out!

I decided to try their highly recommended and popular sandwich, known as the "Apple Cheeks," but I couldn't quite grasp its popularity. It had a sweet taste and was slightly dry, which didn't quite suit my palate. Also, the coleslaw didn’t taste like coleslaw. Given the overall quality of the food, I personally felt that ¥1,450 for a sandwich + coffee set was overpriced.

Great presentation, lovely atmosphere, but very pricy for the quality of food and service you’re getting. Some of the dishes were very tasty, like the Hungary Foie Gras Poêlé, 3rd on their course menu. Others, like roast beef, 6th on their course menu, was very average. The texture was a bit rubbery and very difficult to chew. Not what you’d expect from wagyu, and certainly not worth the ¥12,000 per person price tag. The staff clearly varied in experience. The one who served our wine was friendly and helpful, but the one who served our food was cold and timid, and spoke so softly we could barely hear him. Speaking of the wine, I’d say it was below average as well. If you like the look of their interior, I’d recommend you to just come for their coffee, since they do run a cafe as well.

Terrible pasta of the day that my wife had. They used dried shrimp that was extremely fishy. Little other flavour. I had the hamburger pasta with tomatoe sauce that tasted like it was squeezed out of a can od chef boyardee. It did have a nice atmosphere and service was good.

All dishes are well designed in terms of flavor and texture. Ambience is perfect for this cold season in Tokyo. Definitely a gem

The atmosphere is really peaceful and there’s tables that are bug enough to set out a laptop or a notebook to get some work done. The food wasn’t bad, but considering the price, I would have liked to see more substantial portions.

The atmosphere is perfect with some plants and good music. We can see sole custermer, not only couples and friends, you can use WIF I I think you should come here in sukura seasons! Very close to meguro river, but bit far from nakamehuro station.

Great space with an amazing Buddha Bowl (I think there’s also a steak version?). Coffee is decent enough and music is usually good too.

The quality is there and the place is spacious and relaxed. The portions and pricing of those portions feel a bit bananas though.

Very cozy cafe on top of a bakery and clothing store, the lunch sets are worth the price (¥1,500) since food is well served and good. As it is a bakery I’d recommend the dishes with bread (sandwiches toast and even cakes). They make jams and balms at the place as well and the pumpkin one is worth buying at the shop. The risotto and pancake were a little bit off though so I’d stay with their specialties. Drinks a la carte are a bit overpriced too so go for the sets :)

A perfect hideout for a coffee / cake / afternoon tea by yourself, with friends and families. Tuck away nicely on the second floor, the cafe is a quiet sanctuary, oasis to have instagram worthy photos. With lots of natural light, and antique rustic furniture, the cafe is highly recommended for those who make a trip down.

The sandwiches were subpar. I got a ham sandwich but the ham seemed to be the very cheap ham you can get at the grocery stores, even though the sandwich costed me around 1500. The interior is nice but I wouldn’t recommend for food. I did want to try the cakes, they looked good but they were sold out.

Unique Japanese Breakfast Experience We were craving a breakfast buffet and found this spot near Ginza. At 2500 yen for 50 minutes, the price was reasonable. The buffet focused entirely on Japanese breakfast, which was a unique experience. I won’t lie—the food was quite average, with nothing fancy or particularly outstanding in terms of taste or variety. However, the 3x3 portion setup made it feel like a charming ritual, giving a traditional Japanese vibe to the meal. It’s worth trying once for the experience, but one visit was enough for me.

Great value for money, fun casual Japanese style breakfast buffet with plenty of variety. Walked in as a group of 4 on a Momday morning at around 8.45a. No queue. They give you 50 minutes and you can eat as much as you want. Food is all decent but maybe not superlative. It’s kind of a fun experience though. FYI Choices are heavily savory for breakfast (which is probably the norm). This is my second visit over the years, would probably go again!

One of the best places to get a value-forward Japanese Breakfast experience aside from the Soft Sounds from Another Planet album. Provides a variety of small, seasonal dishes and light hot-pot fare- fresh and simple dishes with curious flavor combinations. Recommend making full use of their made-to-order options at the bar side, as well. Big fan of their soups and porridges :) Come on time, and be ready to head out- especially if you want to try a bit of everything. The staff is strict about eating within your reserved period.

The food was ok, but the selection was good and we enjoyed them for the 50 mins. If you made multiple trips, its worth the price. One grip I had was that we made a reservation but the only spot they have for breakfast was 7am. We tried but were late and didn't arrived until 9am. I really wish they have more time slots available for breakfast, cause they charge you penalty fi you were not on time.

Nice food, not a very big selection, the Japanese style dishes are pretty good. Feels more like an instagram place than a restaurant. A little big overrated in my opinion.

Lovely little spot for brunch, offering delicately prepared dishes that, while rooted in staple Western flavors, feel light and refined. The shop itself is quite small and has become very popular, so I’d highly recommend making a reservation in advance to secure a spot! (Even though the reservation system is a bit annoying because it’s through tablecheck.com and you have to do a 1,000¥ deposit per person in case you cancel or don’t show up to your reservation. But showing up without a reservation can take a bit of waiting!)

Finally made it out to Locale. I loved the fresh, California cuisine. Super tasty dishes with lots of yummy veggies and great seafood. Chefs table was great. Awesome to watch Katy and the team work their magic!

There was only one small negative that I had with Locale and that was no sous chef in the kitchen. Beside chef Katy in the kitchen, there were two waitresses but they can only help chef Katy placing the foods on the plates, but i had no complaints about those two ladies. Despite the negative that I just mentioned, I think this place is worth to visit many time in a year cause the foods were that good. Every dishes were easily 10 out of 10 for me, and those cherry tomatoes in some of those dishes were just amazing, they were sweeter than normal cherry tomatoes, not in a sugary way but full of flavors. I think organic ingredients helped a lot cause chef Katy let the ingredients shine by themselves therefore she had less work to do. It was a amazing dinner and I am looking forward to come again in brunch time and for another dinner

One sunny morning in early February, my wife and I trained out to Meguro for brunch at the Locale. To put it simply, it was delicious, quite arguably one of the best brunches I’ve had in Tokyo. The avocado toast with egg was my favorite, which is surprising since I’m not a big avocado toast fan. The commodore was a fascinating twist to eggs Benedict. The banana pancake was yummy and quite substantial. The ingredients for all three dishes were of high quality. The staff was friendly, dedicated to their craft, and willing to offer suggestions and answer our innumerable questions. I look forward to trying dinner sometime in the near future!!

Small little brunch place that offers high quality dishes that have a unique twist in either ingredients or preparation. You can literally watch the team make your food in front of you, and you can see how carefully and with love for the food they do it. It‘s a bit of a wait since the place is popular and offers limited seating but it‘s worth the wait - once you‘re inside, the order is processed quickly. We had the wagyu burger and the sour note of the salad balanced out the fatty meat patty perfectly.

Chef Katy and her team were such a dream. I moved to Tokyo a few months ago from NYC and many spaces are a little intimidating to me, but from the start Locale felt like a welcoming and friendly cozy space that I felt very comfortable at and that I’ll def be returning to. I had heard about the place from a few people and knew there’d be a long line / that you’d need reservations, but I got lucky the night before and found some open reservations for 1 so I took it as a sign to finally go. I got the iced coffee ☕️ and banana 🍌 pancakes - hands down the best I’ve ever had. They were the perfect texture of crispy exterior and fluffy interior. Savory from the butter which was balanced out with the sweet bananas. Portion size was just right too. For sure want to come back to try other items on the menu 💛 Everyone was so attentive and kind; I loved the atmosphere here. There was a mix of local Japanese folks and foreigners who either live here or are visiting.

Great experience. Staff are very attentive and welcoming. The concept of the restaurant is locally grown farm produce. Food is very tasty and they have a good selection of wines too. Service was good. Serving sizes were quite small. Especially for price. Very cute cafe. Ambiance was nice. Food was acceptable taste, nothing stupendous. Ordered eggs Benedict which was half of usual portion. Eggs Benedict usually comes with two eggs on two toasts. The mini pancakes were a very small portion but tasty. Food tasted good. Hot chocolate was fun but very cool temperature. He asked to get it reheated.

At first, I was ready to give this place 5 stars and say that those who gave it 1 are just picky tourists. But then I realized what the real issue is. The restaurant itself is cozy and cool inside, which is great during the Japanese summer. My order was taken quickly, and in about 5 minutes I got my coffee ☕ and jamon sandwich 🥪. The sandwich was excellent — perfectly seasoned, with aged jamon (380 days or more). The coffee was also really good, served in a teapot with a small bowl, which was a nice touch. But that’s where the positives end. My wife’s order didn’t arrive. We waited 10, 15, then 20 minutes. Finally, we managed to ask a staff member, and she ran off without saying much. After another 10 minutes, they brought her kakigori 🍧, which was just average for the price. And the iced tea 🧊🍵 she ordered? Never came. It wasn’t even on the bill — the staff simply forgot it. There weren’t many customers, yet the service was this bad. If I’m spending 5,000 yen for a sandwich, a dessert, and drink, I expect the staff to at least remember the order. Just sad. And in case anyone thinks the problem was communication — it wasn’t. I speak fluent Japanese, and my wife is Japanese. The issue is entirely with how the staff handles things here.

Always a rather quiet place to have nice breakfast. The food are usually quite good and good coffee. It’s not easy to find such relaxed place open early for breakfast in central Tokyo.

le pain quotidien is a place I've visited for the first time in mexico and i fell in love with it. let's say that the branches in japan are quite a bit different. No matter where you go the service in Japan is always good, I've never had a bad experience related to the service in Japan. the food tho was a lot of ups and downs. the hot chocolate was let's say different than what i am used to. the trio of hummus was let's say okay but different also. the granola with yoghurt was okay. the chicken pesto and cheese on a toast was okay bu nothing exceptional. the roasted potatoes with herbs were yummy. the cakes were a deception especially the pistacchio cake. in brief they can do better than this.

I visited this restaurant with my friends and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The staff member, a woman with black hair in a ponytail, was extremely cold and dismissive. There was no greeting at the entrance, ordering took unusually long, and when I asked to move to a smaller table and order again, my request was rudely rejected without explanation. Instead of communicating, the staff simply turned away. As a foreign guest who has always enjoyed respectful service in Japan, I felt unwelcome here. This experience was unpleasant and very disappointing.

Great food, spacious place with a very courteous service. We celebrated a birthday and they were very helpful in arranging everything last minute.

Love the cosy and friendly cafe. The single origin hand drip cold brew was amazing. If you are in town and you need a good cuppa coffees this id the place for you. I also treated myself with a nice banana break.

This was our first sit down meal in Roppongi. Common opens at 8, but starts serving food at 9. I showed them a gluten-free travel card for myself, and they were able to do either their açai bowl without granola or the breakfast plate without the bread. I asked them in Japanese to do the breakfast plate, but put the toast on a separate plate for my mother to eat. I don’t know if it would be safe for coeliacs, but I don’t get affected by cross contamination so I was fine. We also had the homemade chai latte and grape juice for our drinks.

This place is a hidden gem. You can watch the young staff put love and attention into the food, whilst sitting in a beautiful rustic modern seating area. The food was simple yet so delicious my partner and I looked at each other after our first bite like why didn’t we find this place sooner. The coffee was one of the best I’ve had in Tokyo and the hot chocolate tasted like childhood. Mostly young trendy locals which for me is a good sign. Don’t sleep on the banana bread either. We were so impressed I wrote this review whilst still seated.

Ordered for to go the avocado/roasted veg/prosciutto/pistachio dukkah open sandwich (whew, long menu name for an order) and it’s surprisingly delicious! YUM! Though i know it would be better if i dined in so it would be fresher and warm but no choice as i was on a hurry 😟. Nevertheless, food here was great! Loved their mocha drink and the chocolate cookie 🍪 with almonds and raisins. Hope there’s also a branch in Osaka.

In my opinion one of the best places for “classic brunch food” in Tokyo, such as eggs Benedict, Muesli bowls, breakfast sandwich… etc it has a quick turnover but queueing is expected. Today I went there with my Japanese friend and my French friend, who just arrived yesterday. Got my iced Matcha lattes with a shot of espresso just about every morning here. The staff is wonderful and of course my iced Matcha was amazing. It was my start of the morning to venture new areas in the city.
