A tucked away cafe recommended to us and we really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. It is an open type of cafe so no air conditioning is available. They have several tables available for dining in. Ordered the Sticky Rice Pancake with Mango & Avocado Smoothie. Both were delicious. Enjoyed our meal here.

A bit of a ‘hole in the wall’ but it comes highly recommended. Down a long alley, it’s a favourite among locals so that’s a good sign. Ordering / interpretation can be a little tricky if the older gentleman is taking your order but all is well. The Yellow Chicken Noodle Soup was good, as was the omelette and coffee with coconut (cold) and the Lao coffee with milk (hot).

Simple food that is extremely delicious. Had the beef curry and ginger pork as the main and both were very yummy! I literally drank up all the curry because it was very good. The mango rice pancake’s crust is delicious and the mango smoothie is so good that I ordered 2 cups!

Hidden gem in Vientiane best food I had while I was here! The service is warm and welcoming, and the food is absolutely top-notch. The pho and chicken noodle dishes are spectacular full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Mango pancakes are terrific as well! It’s tucked away down a small alley, but trust me, the food is more than worth the walk. Food was so good we kept coming back. Highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting the city!

I just traveled from Myanmar, going around neighbouring ASEAN countries for looking friendships and common things. That Kung’s Cafe is something special, highlighted and recommended place to go when traveling to Vientiane. Loved to go there, I will love to go there again next time.

Red beef curry was divine, I'd as far as to say its the best red curry beef I've ever had! A bit hard to find but absolutely worth the hike ;)

Service - friendly but a bit slow. There barely were people but it still took a bit to take our order. Food - delicious! We tried a salty and sweet crepe. Both were good. Atmosphere - lovely. Inside as outside. Location - but out of town, but okay with motorbike. Price - a bit more expensive than other places in Laos. Wifi - not sure if available.

Lots of variety of crepes both sweet and savory. It has indoor and outdoor seating area. Great place to just chill and hangout.

I love the food especially the Rose crepe which is to die for! Salads are crispy and toast sandwiches flavourful. The venue and staff are also very nice. One of my favourite places in Vientiane.

Nice little hideaway for expats and loners offering simple 3Cs delights: croques, coffee and crepes, open kitchen shows cleanliness of the premises, shy staff could use more training, bit slow service but hey PDR...

The crêpe and caramel sauce were awesome. The waffle was crunchy on the outside but still moist inside, which paired perfectly with icing sugar and a touch of vanilla ice cream. The atmosphere was pleasant, and there was plenty of space for children as well.

Great spot for a change from the Laotian food and a taste of France! I was skeptical of the prices, particularly for an actual lunch, but it was well worth it! The all-butter croissant was very light, and the roast beef sandwich was exactly what I needed after a tough few days. It was so nice to have real Dijon mustard and the hearty pieces of beef again!

Nice French bakery with AC. We came after lunch time and it was very quiet. We only ordered coffee here and it wasn't anything special. The price of the coffee was reasonable though.

The atmosphere is tranquil, with enough natural light if you stay near the door. The food, I took a ham and cheese panini, was spectacular. Excellent sandwich, amazing salad. I take off a star because of the taste of the coffee, which was too dark-roasted for me. As such, the aftertaste was bitter. If you enjoy dark-roasted coffees then this place is for you. The baristas are nice.

Excellent small cafe with delicious food. I had a ham baguette with candied tomatoes and pickles. It was delicious. I also ordered an extra side of the blue cheese dressing usually reserved fir the steak frites. Excellent choice for dipping my delicious sandwich. Quiet, cozy and lovely wait staff and management. Close to the town center so easy to find and easy to get around before and after a great meal. The Frwnch bread and cheese selection were incredible. I will definitely be bringing my wife back when she arrives. And definitely stocking our fridge with their amazing selection of deli meats and cheeses. Must try if you're in town

Freshly baked French pastries are delicious. Their croissants are the stars of the shop. They also offer mini pastries that are perfect for parties or a coffee break.

I guess it's always a pleasure to find a French culinary spot anywhere. Vanille has it all, pastry, bread, mini mart (or should I say "supérette"). A tuktuk ride from the tourist area of Pangkham str will cost you from L50k to L70k whether it is electric or petrol..

Love the baguettes. Poor quality food esp fish and chips. Served dread in oil, bad fishy/not fresh smell, mushy texture. After I cut open, informed server of the poor quality. They took the plate back. Refried and returned to me with the cold fries. Have been avoiding this venue for hosting working lunches, but sometimes for the sake of other's convenience, the venue was chosen.

I had breakfast here (#3) with a friend. Breakfast wasn’t anything special, so I got a ham and cheese croissant after breakfast. It was pretty good. The next day I went to a different location (#1) at 6:30am and got one of the most magical pastries I’ve ever had. Was it thinly sliced bananas on top? I’m sure I’d be a regular customer to one or all of the Cafe Vanille locations if I lived in Vientiane. Nice options. Nice atmosphere. Nice grocery store inside.

Sizable cafe with indoor and outdoor seating in a quiet neighborhood. Seems popular with young clientele. Some seats have electrical plugs. I had iced cappuccino and a ham & cheese croissant; both were pretty good and filling. Would love to try the almond croissant as it looked yum. Not sure I'd come all the way to sit here but wouldn't mind at all if around the neighborhood.

Nice place, worth a visit. This place is a bit more fancy than most bakery’s in Vientiane but it is still worth a visit. The staff were friendly and the food tasty. We had some cold drinks and shared a pork roll. The roll was in a black charcoal bun, this was new for us in Laos but it was super light, the filling tasted a bit like a mince bolognese sauce, weird I know but worth a try. We had an iced latte, beer Lao and a coconut, all were cold and refreshing. If you’re in the area I would stop in for a rest.

Bakery by Boris is a cozy cafe located near Simuang Temple. It can fit almost 50 people, and the place is very quiet. I had a hot Americano and an almond croissant, which were both wonderful. The staff were very nice and helpful. I would suggest this coffee shop to anyone who wants to take a break and enjoy themselves.

Laos, the best bread country in Asia Delicious, to be sure, but too big. Very cheap considering its size. Good space and great staff. If I had a request, please make the bread smaller. It is too big!

Walked by the sign of the bakery by Boris and was immediately curious. The place has a really cool vibe to it, nice garden but also a comfortable inside area. Had the croissant one day and had to come back the next day to try another to make sure they are just as delicious on a second attempt. And went ahead and tried the cheese ham croissant as well to make sure they were also on par. Good coffee but winning with the croissants!

The Sandwich was made of Chinese pork style, the charcoal bread was soft. The Vanilla pie was 5 layers, not too sweet. The Choux cream were a bit sweet stuffed, good raw ingredients. The atmosphere was good, cool air conditioner. 2 things that weren't good: strong smoking smelling that leaking into the room and stinky lady's toilet. However the staffs are friendly and good service mind.

Good food here. I enjoyed the salmon bagel and caramel latte for breakfast. It was served very quickly and the ingredients are good. I also ordered lunch from food panda, the soup was rich and thick but the wrap was cold. Although tasty. It's in a prime location and I recommend it

The cinnamon roll was great!! Very sweet but that’s exactly what it should be. Ideal for a sweet treat with your coffee. We also had croissants but those were not nice. Lack of taste and texture. But the cinnamon roll truly was amazing! Definitely recommend

I shouldn’t have tipped the staff as their attitude became extremely horrible towards me, with no gratitude shown. Came here 7 years ago and the standard has gone down the kitchen sink. Loud, noisy patrons and flies indoors so much that I had to get a straw to drink my hot chocolate. Food is standard expat tourist price and the taste has been mediocre. Go elsewhere to a local place not a chain store- I only did so because I was totally hungover from a night of partying! My mistake.

Good coffee shop with a wide selection of food and cakes. I enjoyed my mexican wrap and warm apple pie, which was not too sweet. My coffee was a little too strong for my taste, but that's just personal preference. Recommended.

The atmosphere is wonderful, with nice wallpaper adding to the charm, and it's great to see that they are giving back to society. Now, let's dig into the food. The bagels were fantastic, perfectly soft with the right texture. The coffee was excellent; I had mine black, without sugar and milk, which is my way to judge its quality. It had a nice balance of acidity and flavor. The croissants, however, weren't quite to my liking—they seemed more like the American style and lacked the crunchiness and fluffiness I prefer from another shop. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend giving it a try.

Nice cosy place for a cup of coffee and some snacks. Breakfast and food are served here also. They accept both USD and local currency, but will return your change in kips only.

Jan 2025: Changed to 1 star. Service and internet are so bad. The cafe was so unclean with bread and crumbs strewn on the floor and chairs / table. I sat in a table that was not cleaned. They didn't clean it when they served my coffee. Since they didn't turn up to clean, I left my coffee and went to ask them to clean. But they removed my still not drink coffee and cleaned the table with stinky bad cloth. The chair too needed cleaning but that too was cleaned with the same stinky towel. Now I had to go argue with them over my coffee and cannot sit in that chair. Super bad service now because staff are over worked. Internet is very bad. Cannot decently even browse. June 2024: 5 stars Nice cafe with plenty of seating inside in two levels with good air-conditioning. Mostly wooden chairs. A few sofas available. Outside seating watching the street is available. Ambiance in my view is great. No music though. Food (mostly western) is delicious. A bit more expensive than others, but you get what you pay for in quality, quantity, and taste. Machine Coffee is ok and there are options in juices and smoothies. Overall a great cafe. You need to order yourself. There's free water available from cooler which is a plus.

This is a great café restaurant and it is very clean. The tables and chairs are very high quality. The staff are very polite and will even open the door as you go in. It's better service than most five star hotels. The food is very high quality and they give large portions. Five stars all round. FYI it used to be called Benoni Café but has changed its name.

My time at Baan Maii cafe has always been excellent!! The service provided by the professional Host Singto is beyond my expectations always. Hes cheerful, very happy to make your meal or beverage visit as good as you could hope for!! I recommend this cafe completely! 😁 Plus, the washrooms/toilet are impeccably clean!!

I stayed in Vientiane for 3 weeks and ate at this restaurant a number of times. The food was excellent and affordable. You could eat inside the air conditioned dining room or outside on the patio. The staff were very polite and welcoming. The manager/waiter, Singto, always greeted me by name, and with a big smile. He taught me some Lao phrases, and also helped me plan a trip to Vang Vientiane. The only downside to the business was that it closed at 5pm, so I couldn’t eat dinner there. Great little spot..

On my trip on I spend my dinner at this restaurant , around all good clean areas and great service and great food specially I try Lao noodles soup it was delicious and I picked up one coffee also was nice Don’t miss to try

The portion of the food is generous and taste delicious. The decoration is pretty to take aesthetic photos.

Vibes were chill,amazing staff

The texture of the food was on point but the taste is pretty bland. Had to add salt and hot sauce, after that it was pretty tasty. The hash browns tasted a bit greasy even with salt, ketchup and hot suace. The cake and coffee were delicious and overall I would try it again. I could show them a few things.

I was looking for a gluten-free place for breakfast and decided to try this one. We ordered a smoothie, a matcha, a granola yogurt with fruits, and a burrito. The food was fine and portions are generous. Prices are a bit on the touristy side. The interior is nicely decorated and very clean.

Good place for lunch, a snack, or coffee!! It’s nice inside and has natural light. The chicken tandoori wrap was actually quite good! I got it to go and it’s full of fresh vegetables and a nice sauce. They added extra sauce on the side and packaged it well. It was perfect to take to the airport. They also have smoothies and baked goods like cakes, muffins, and cinnamon rolls. The smoothies are pretty good. Quesadilla is good. The staff are so kind and filled my water for free (thank you!!!). They have wifi. They have kids playground! And nice jewellery up front (like really nice).

Awesome coffee, fast wifi, and delicious food my afternoon spent in the space was balanced and productive. There is also an amazing hand craft shop that supports the fight against human trafficking.

Very beautiful place ! You can drink coffee, eat fonds, you have handmade products of Laos , and you have postcards, international stamps with a letter box to send it

For as long as I can remember I've had the standard Laotion / Thai hotel breakfast of “some kind of egg, some kind of bread and a chicken sausage”. Well my currentt hotel stay didn't include breakfast so we ventured out. Fried eggs, bacon, potato hash & toast and chorizo hash (scrambled eggs, chorizo, peppers, onions) were a welcome break before we hit the next hotel and their inclusive breakfast. Those and 2 coffees were ~300k.

It's a lovely café restaurant that serves great coffee and good food. The service is good. It has an upstairs that is quiet and comfortable with AC (PHOTO ATTACHED).

The food was just ok, I feel like spaghetti was not that good. staff were not even say thank you? I’m not asking food for free, at least say thank you and act like you work here not like someone force you to do this job.

Maybe I had a combination of bad experiences. I ordered kiwi juice, but it wasn’t fresh kiwi, just a sweet syrup. It wasn’t nice at all don’t order that. I had chicken and cashew meal. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. Nothing special and it probably lacked taste and flavour but it can be eaten don’t get me wrong. Lastly I had a table of Koreans or at least one man just constantly stare, maybe he’s never seen another non Korean before there? But yeah annoying. The price I paid was higher than another place I ate the day before but the portions way bigger. The portion of this was small. You will get hungry. The service was quick and the staff were great.

Have been to another Cafe Sinouk in Vientiane that was much better, (Sokpaluang Road, Vientiane. Which I reviewed). This one… not the same. Eggs were way too salty and cold upon delivery to our table. Albeit, they looked great. Will not be coming back to this location.

Lovely decor with historical French-coffee theme. Excellent blended Frappe and Mocca - flavourful and not too sweet. Eggs Benedict was lovely. The service was prompt and polite. Well done with the re-usable straws - helping protect our only world! Had a great breakfast! For perfection: correct Benedict menu price, a beverage menu will make table service easier and provide the condiments basket proactively.

I went there to have a simple lunch. First of, the prices are pretty high for Laos but I decided to try it nonetheless. It took like 40 minutes for the food to arrive to get half a pizza which was stinking. The food was bad, expensive and in small portions. I cannot understand the good reviews. It’s the worst café I have been to in Asia or even in my life. AVOID

10/10!!! This is THE place to be! I can say with confidence that this is the BEST cafe I've ever been to. It cannot be improved. It's perfect and amazing. I'm blown away. You can easily spend a whole day here. The vibe is great. I was the only foreigner here. Everybody else are locals. Lots of high school and university students doing group projects. But it is very quiet and calm. The music is at perfect volume and super relaxing pleasant ambient lounge music. There are bookshelves everywhere that have very interesting books about SE Asia and Laos in English. There are boardgames! Good one! Catan, Carcassonne, Chess, even Go! Amazing. Bonus: there's LEGO! The building and space is extremely appealing and in Lao traditional style. Beautiful inside and out. The furniture is great. There's seating arrangement for every need. Couches, armchairs, even beds! Omg. It's a dreamscape! I really love the comfort and comfiness here. Also it's all very nicely spaced out. They even have whiteboards. Group work, solo work. Anything you can imagine. They really thought this thru to a T. The assortment of cakes is great. Very yummy and affordable reasonably priced cakes. The beverages are all in the range of 45000 to 55000 kip. They specialise in coffee and actually their coffee is Lao grown! Wow! It doesn't get better than this! You're really supporting a good cause by coming here. There's free parking on the property, but for motorbikes only. Cars can park on the road though. The location is quite tucked away. You wouldn't expect to find such a cafe here. They also have lockers! The only thing I don't like is that there are a few mosquitos. Perhaps this could be addressed in the future. In the meantime, bring mosquito repellant. Nice AC also btw. Staff is also friendly!

I really liked the cozy atmosphere and ample seating at the café. However, the books were a bit disorganized and dusty when I visited, which made it a bit challenging to find something good to read. On the bright side, the tea and dessert I ordered were decent.

I love this cafe, it is ideal for remote working, for study and for enjoying an excellent Lao Coffee. The personnel are kind and ready to help. Inside the café books are everywhere, the majority are in English but it is possible to find Chinese, Japanese, Lao, Thai, Korean and French books, there are board games as well. It is possible to find a rich selection of Lao coffee produced by small farmers in forests between 1200 mts and 1400 mts in several regions in the country. The environment is young and dynamic with young students as main customers, there is some music in the background but the volume isn't loud and helps concentration. It's not in the tourist area of the city but if you need a quiet place where to do some job, or read a book it's one of the best places in the city. Unfortunately I couldn't try the cuisine because the day I visited comma coffee it was not available. This is another reason because I should go back there!

Comma Coffee is definitely my favorite place in Vientiane. It is located in a cozy area away from traffic noise, making it perfect for working on your laptop. The Wi-Fi connection is good, and the staff is very welcoming. They offer board games, a second floor for relaxing, and a large selection of books in English. What’s more, they roast their coffee beans themselves in a mini factory on-site, so the coffee is fresh and directly from the source. I absolutely recommend this café to anyone who enjoys relaxing places with the option to work online.

The worst place with no parking control, their customers always park without space for cars to pass through causing a lot of trouble to neighbors in the area. Barely any outlets if you want to work on your laptop. Food is mediocre.

Nice atmosphere and a cozy spot for students or professionals to work on their tasks. Plenty of power outlets by the desks make it convenient for laptop users. The coffee is tasty, but be cautious after enjoying the red velvet tart as it can leave your teeth noticeably red when you smile

We came Le Trio Coffee this morning after a recommendation from a fellow traveller I met in Vang Vieng. I must say that his recommendation was correct and the coffee is superb (thanks Gert!). I had a cold latte (not my usual go to but it is a hot day) and the love of my life had a cold cappuccino. Both coffees were excellent. The coffee shop has footpath seating and tables with fans as well as inside seating. Very cool inside in both temperature and ambience! A big shout out to Jules who provided fantastic service. He was attentive, polite and very helpful. Le Trio serves cake sans pastries but we were after some other breakfast options and Jules provided the menu for Coco & Co, which is the vegan cafe next door. The food was very good. Lao- French coffee. Still best coffee in Vientiane so far. Have not been here since September 2019 but the place has not change at all. Good vibes in the morning. Good coffee with lots of styles for selection. You can smell the coffee in 20m radius from the shop when they have a new roasted coffee beans

Excellent coffee. I had vegan cappuccino and vegan flat white. Oat milk option is available . Highly recommend this coffee shop.

The flavor and taste of an iced americano were just correct. As for iced latte, it would've been better to have it without ice. Many small ice cubes liquefied the milk.

Really is a great cup of pure coffee. You can tell this is a passion and not just a business. I think this really may be the best coffee in Vientiane. (And I have family who own another shop in town)

Good coffee shop with a nice ambient. I had a good conversation about philosophy with the young French-Laotian man who is the nephew of the owner. He took good care of every guest. Unfortunately as soon as he left around lunch time the service got worst. The employees cared less, they are on their smartphones the whole time and you feel like you disturb them if you ask something. This is a pity.

Had a good breakfast here but their coffee is great. Wished I could buy some back but I can't as I'm traveling light. Food is good. Croissant and Danish were good.

The drinks were really nice and refreshing, and the breakfast overall was decent. But the carbonara… hmm, let’s just say it had a personality of its own. 😅 For 75,000 kip, I was expecting something creamy and rich instead, I got a rather interesting combo of spaghetti, bacon, and lots of crunchy carrots and onions. Not exactly what you’d call traditional, but hey, at least it was memorable!

I saw they were selling coffee so I came in. I ordered a Latte and it was so smooth and delicious that I ordered a second one. So now I'm going to buy 4 of their 500 gram bag's of beans to take back home. Very nice ambience , soft music and of course such polite Laos service. Ordered the Eggs Benny . . . ☺️

Not feeling quite the same level of enthusiasm for this cafe that some others felt but I only had a coffee here. The venue does not have a theme and is not decorated. The Americano is a bit off balance, maybe too much water, and did not come with a crema. It tastes like good coffee but pretty much like fresh made coffee anywhere. At 15000 kip for an Americano hot, it is not the cheapest coffee you will find.

We had a lovely experience at House of Fruit Shakes. The staff are very kind and talkative. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We even came back for a takeaway dinner as we were travelling overnight the same day.

Hands down this place was the highlight of our time in Vientiane! We were only in the city for three days but ended up eating here at least six times. The (eponymous) shakes and the food are not only incredibly delicious but also super affordable. The vibe is super laid-back and makes you want to linger — whether it’s just for a quick shake or to hang out a bit longer. SHAKES & JUICES were by far the best we had anywhere in Laos. No added sugar, no condensed milk, no canned ingredients – just pure, natural fruit and a big dose of love in the preparation. Here’s just one example: Nui, the owner, doesn’t just throw the passionfruit into the blender with the rest. She blends all the other fruits first, then gently spoons in the passionfruit at the end. That way, the little black seeds stay intact – and when you sip it, it’s like drinking natural bubble tea. Brilliant! Speaking of brilliant… I’ll probably be dreaming about her coconut coffee shake for the rest of my life. ;) The SANDWICHES were also the best we had in Laos – crusty bread, packed with tasty fillings and a delicious sauce. We also tried several other dishes on the menu and loved every single one. Nui is very accommodating when it comes to dietary needs or preferences – just let her know. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the person behind it. Nui is one of the kindest and most genuine people we met on our trip – and she clearly has a soft spot for backpackers! She carefully selects every ingredient herself, and you can see the fresh fruit displayed right at the entrance – she takes what she needs for each order straight to the kitchen in the back. She genuinely loves creating healthy, tasty food and is always learning and refining her recipes. You can feel that passion in everything she does – whether you’re watching her work or just chatting with her. -> Bottom line <- Patuxay, Buddha Park, the night market or a sunset stroll along the river – sure, those are all worth checking out while you’re in Vientiane. But whatever you do, make sure you leave enough time to work your way through the menu at House of the Fruit Shakes. And don’t worry if you’re in a rush – the shakes are also available to go. ;)

Lovely place in the heart of Vientiane. Banana and peanut butter smoothie hit the spot with the tuna baguette. Prices were reasonable and the lady owner spoke very good English which makes the welcome a lot easier. I wish my Lao was just as good. The fresh fruit cart was a perfect touch, especially as I can see the fruits being picked for my order.

Delicious shake! 😍 The banana + peanut butter smoothie is mind blowing, better than the ones we had in Australia. We did not try any food but the dishes we saw looked nice. The owner is very friendly and speaks great english. The shop inside is air conditioned, nicely decorated and has some piano background music that we loved. The price is fair, very recommended.

House of fruit shakes was the highlight of our stay in Vientiane. We visited every day and tried almost all the shakes and meals. They were all delicious , especially the fresh coconut coffee shake! It was the perfect refreshing drink to start your day and I had one everyday! Staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the ingredients in all the shakes and dishes. Will definitely return when we come back to Vientiane.

A lovely little restaurant, sadly we didn’t try the smoothies or juices but the food was still very tasty (we had the pad si ew and the sautéed eggplant). The service is great and the lady that owns it was so lovely and friendly. Would definitely recommended if you’re in the area.

The best Chilean food in Vientiane! Very authentic tacos and desserts. I enjoy all the items on the menu, including the coffee. The prices are reasonable. Seating is available on both the first and second floors, and there is car parking in front of the restaurant.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for eateries on Google Maps. It had great reviews so we decided to visit. Very happy with our decision. The menu had many enticing options. We ordered the Machan pork sandwich and the Latin Mix platter with pork. Everything was delicious! My cappuccino was perfect. We would recommend a meal here during your stay in Vientiane. I love Lao food but this was a nice break for the palate.

We happened to come on a Tuesday - Taco Tuesday. Hence Taco's was our choice. We were able to mix and match the ingredients, and got 4 different kinds of 🌮. My favorites being the pulled pork and the fish. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, and service super friendly. I'm looking forward to come back and try the Ceviche. Note: on weekdays they are closing at 6pm already.

Not the most pleasant staff. Subpar food. The vegan empanadas were not good on their own, but were better with the pico salsa. The lemon matcha tea was pretty good. Tight seating space downstairs. The upstairs is supposedly for reservations. Cool to see such a cafe in Laos, but it needs work.

Loved the vibe here! The music and the flavours transported us back home to a Mexican restaurant in London. The food was absolutely delicious, best Central American food we’ve had in SEA. Staff were very friendly.

I ordered a breakfast burrito, and that was hands down one of the girthiest and most well wrapped burritos I have had. Very fresh wheat wraps encapsulate so much eggs and bacon. It wasn't super greasy, even with the addition of all that bacon. And the 'Bacan' sauce on the side is a perfect accompaniment to the dish. Good coffee here as well. Nice place as shown in my pictures. I would say Wow!. I ordered an Americano coffee with price (18,000kip). Totally, the coffee's taste is satisfied with light style. I can feel sour in the coffee. It is recommended. One thing is that parking slot is mall for car. Anyway, this cafe is still only one in my favorite cafe because I could not find the another better cafe yet. 4stars

Nice environment but confusing and chaotic, no home made pastries, at 10am no more breakfast served, outside seats available however a terrible smell comes from somewhere. Some more attention to details and a larger and home made menu might help

A sweet cafe without many people today when I went for lunch. The menu posted online was the old one, the new one has different choice with about double the price than before. Food was great, just little saulty for me.

I think you pay more for atmosphere than food. The food is nutritious, but I felt there was something left to be desired. Got the protein bowl and it was not bad, but it didn't make me dance. The fruit was ripe and tofu cooked well. If you eat for the natural flavor of vegetables and such, you'll like this. I asked them for the cheese fries with no bacon and said I was vegetarian. They nodded like they understood, and yet chunks of cooked pig were in my fries 😩. My dog liked it tho. She was stoked. I think if you eat meat you will like it. But if you're Veg or Vegan, order from the safe items and do not attempt to alter the dishes. The vibe inside the place is really nice. It would be a good, peaceful place to sit and work. I give 3 stars bc I think it was too expensive for what is was and they told me they'd put no meat but gave me meat.

Amazing latte at a very good price (25k for the regular size). Smooth, the taste of the coffee was nutty but not overpowering the milk. Really good. Also had the peanut butter banana panini which was crispy and hot, perfect for a great morning. Took a long time to come here but I will definitely be coming back.

Nice place to get breakfast and coffee. They have menu you can point at items if you don't know Lao language. Be sure to confirm if you want hot or cold drink as did order cold Cappuccino and got hot one still was good though.

Loved this place!! Very spacious, clean, and big menu for breakfast and lunch. Many options for espresso and lattes as well. I wanted breakfast so I ordered the eggs benedict - which came with spinach and mushrooms. Delicious. I also ordered an iced minty latte with it and it was super good. We also ordered pork larb which came with a mushroom soup and khao gum ( purple rice ) which was also good. I definitely want to return! Service was super fast as well.

Good coffee, have choices for vegetarian too. The mango sticky rice with espresso was something different and special.

One toilet for women and men on the ground floor is looking a little dirty. But there are more toilets on the 1. Floor. Good coffee, quiet place to work, good air conditioning, excellent WiFi, attractive and comfortable space

We ordered a drink with green tea, but the attendant misunderstood our order and consequently brought us the wrong drink (lychee juice). We only realized the mistake when we received the drink. At that point, we didn't say anything and continued with the wrong drink, even though we were not satisfied. However, the worst part of our experience was that, despite the store's hours being posted as open until 9:00 PM, at 7:15 PM the attendant came to our table and informed us that the store was closed. I questioned her since the hours were posted as open until 9:00 PM, and she explained that her manager had ordered the store to close at 7:00 PM. Our intention was to finish some tasks on the computer, but we had to leave the store. Our order was placed at 6:52 PM, and at no point did the attendant inform us that they would be closing soon. Why didn't they have the basic decency to inform us when we placed our order that the store would be closing soon? Disappointing!

Recently renovated so modern, chic and lots of plastic "vegetation" on the walks giving it a jungle feel...Amazon! Only a ground level but renovations in progress - maybe other levels. Cappuccino Frappe tasty but the pre-packaged tuna sandwich bit dry. Nice menu but only from 10am - dont display till ready else customers choose a dish then a told sorry, dont have yet. Nice street views through the large windows, soft music so a good place to chill out.

There are many food options that vary from western dishes to traditional lao dishes. The food appearance looks exactly shown as the pictures in the menu. The inside of the place looks very nice and clean and the staff are always walking around checking up on customers.

I go here very often to study so I can assure you the environment is perfect for those who want to cafe hop, study, work, etc… They have many variations of dishes as well, making it accessible to those with specific taste buds.

Beautiful victorian style setting. Fresh, clean, flowery. The caopuccinos and the croissants were disappointing. The salad and the egg benedict were good. I liked the lemony dressing and the crispy bacon.

Been here several times and it's always a satisfying experience. The croissant sandwiches are really good, so are the desserts. Foods come in good portions - sizes of the baked goods are possibly the most generous ones in town. It's a popular place and can get busy but the staff remain attentive and pleasant. This is a great Place. We have been here for Breakfast and Dinner. We are staying about three blocks from Sinouk Coffee and have made it a daily stop for our two weeks here. The Croissants are the best I have ever had. Actually, everything we have ordered has been spectacular. Service is prompt and reasonably priced. You must visit while in Vientiane. Update 2.17.23- Back again. Nothing has changed in the last few years. Great place to eat. Food is very good still. They are moving to a new location, (not too far away), mid March 2023 Update 11-2024. They have since moved from this location to new place about a half a mile up the road. Didn’t seem the same food or atmosphere. Still recommend though.

One of my favorite restaurants in Vientiane. Great food and most importantly outstanding coffee at this particular branch. Very friendly staff. Relaxing atmosphere. Also offer a free WiFi . A big plus - they have a parking area in front of the restaurant! Definitely recommend !

Usually not fast service but food selection is good. Has foreigner food, Lao and Thai. Great coffee, dessert and pastry menu. Has a kids corner so your little ones can play while you eat and stare at your phone. Bathrooms are usually have handsoap, paper towels and are clean.

The Cafe Sinouk has become my regular places for a great coffee and meal. This branch was excellent: tasteful decor, calming music, efficient service and an impressive menu. Definitely many dishes to come back for. The Spanich Hot Plate was amazing - tasty and perfectly cooked eggs. The Panini ham and cheese was bit disappointing as the baguette could be fresher. The Kids Corner is nice for kids, parents and other guests. For perfection, the walkway and area behind the toilets need to be cleaned and made more appealing.

Good chill on weekday but a little packed on the weekend. They have kids playground indoor too. A bit on a pricey side but you get a little luxury feeling.

It’s definitely life savior when you’re walking outside with 37 degree Celsius and suddenly found this cafe providing both iced coffee and great south east Asia style lunch! It’s a true gem of Vientiane.

I went there two times. Tried spicy pork rice and fried rice. The fried rice portion was big and worth 45,000 kip. The place is attached to the hotel and the atmosphere is quiet and nice. There are books provided and the outdoor area was like a little garden.

This is a lovely little cafe. We came in for coffee and to get some work done a couple of days. The staff is friendly, efficient and have good English. They have comfortable indoor seating and a clean washroom. There is also seating available outside. The coffee is insanely strong, so we opted for a cafe latte instead of an americano. They also have an excellent selection of Italian soda, we gave the green apple a try and it was excellent. They are also one of the few places that have ginger ale. The shakes are also quite delicious. The only thing we didn’t like was their egg coffee. We’ve had many of these across Southeast Asia, and this was honestly thr worst one. Super bitter. We couldn’t drink it. They have wifi here, and most of the time it is excellent and stable but sometimes it drops out. Generally, we were able to get a lot of work done. There is a good menu for both breakfast and dinner. We saw lots of people eating here though never ordered the food ourselves. It looked great. The menu had some great Japanese home cooking options.

Update: EXTRA SMALL CAPPUCCINO CUP! Menu was changed without any notice lol. First time it was a middle one cappuccino cup. But next two visits- a small half full espresso cup. Wth? The food was incredibly delicious, and the cleanliness was top-notch. What really stood out was the homey and very pleasant service and atmosphere. This place is a fantastic discovery, catering wonderfully to both meat eaters and those who prefer vegetarian choices. It’s more than just “casual dining”! It’s awesome place for healthy meals.

Despite the fact you feel like you’re walking into someone’s home, the food here was great. Most of what’s on the menu is very western food with a Korean flare. Prices were very reasonable and it’s walking distance to one of my favorite grocery stores (Rimping). If you need some good, relatively healthy food, Boaz is worth a try.

Taste was ok, but if you don’t like sweet coffee, this can’t be option for you. Cafe is cozy, Owner is very kind, but staff need to be trained more.

Had the ribs, burger, and rice dish. All good and reasonably priced. Iced Americano for 12,000 kip went down like top quality engine oil for a car - smooth and strong. And the mushroom coffee drink was delightful. Limited seating, easy parking. I'll be back.

VEGAN announcement. The tofu wrap does contain garlic mayo. It stated it was a vegan meal but came with sour cream, mayo and the wrap had mayo in. The language barrier is difficult, so triple check. But just know that tofu wrap is not vegan. I ate it anyway and got vegetarians it is absolutely delicious!

Nice coffee shop/restaurant runned by a friendly family that I've been visiting for almost 10 years now. They roast their coffee themselves, the food is made with a lot of care too. Friendly price. This was a nice find tucked away on a side street along the Mekong River. You can find a nice Vietnamese style drip coffee here and I recommend the egg sandwich. They were very welcoming, and I plan to return again.

I went this coffee shop on March 14, 2024. Expecting see Lao Deaf people. But what I saw there is impolite Japanese people are talking so loudly about their business. They don’t care other customers, never welcome customers and no manner at all. We felt very uncomfortable and felt bad. I think staff are very kind but this Japanese are really irritated.

This cafe is my sanctuary -- it's a lovely little shop, very comfortable and relaxing. Really good, chill vibe and perfect for people who who want to slow down a bit. I typically get coffee here and they also make a nice variety of cookies. Everything is very affordable. The staff are incredibly friendly and you can pick up some Lao sign language if you make the effort. Lovely atmosphere, friendly and kind staff who clearly enjoy working there, cool air and nicely designed space with comfy seats. The coffee was fantastic. A little more expensive than other cafes but they clearly but the money into staff training and decent produce so it's worth it! You can also buy products here to support local fair trade.

Arté has become my favourite stop while visiting Vientiane! It helps that all the staff are kind and speak good english, but really the coffee is just fabulous. If you’re lactose intolerant like me, they are one of the few places that offer almond and soy milk alternatives! Such a gorgeous cafe! It resembles a minimalist, Bali-style home right in the middle of Vientiane. Had so much to eat here and spent about three hours just chilling and sipping my coffee. Tried almost everything on the menu and I’d say their cheesecake was delicious. Their mains were good too, though some were really spicy!

We had fried spring rolls and iced lemon honey and passionfruit drinks. Very tasty and a cool respite from the searing heat outside. The art works look to be of a high standard. Service was excellent.

What a lovely place! I had lunch here and chatted with the very friendly and kind owner, Aoth. She mentioned they have an art studio on the upper floors where guests can paint. I love that they employ young artists and support them in their creative endeavors.

Amazing cafe in Vientiane. It's my first time I go to a cafe like that. The place is furnished with lots of paintings painted by the owner of the cafe (Aoth) and different Laotian artist. She is super nice and super welcoming with all clients. And also, she speaks really good English. A friend of mine recommended me to come to this cafe. She described it as a special place, so I got curious. I didn't see any picture of the place before going, but when I just got at the cafe I was shocked by the beauty of the place and by the incredible paintings that decorate every wall of the cafe. Everything here is perfect: the atmosphere, the staff, the onwer, the drinks. I didn't try the food, but I'm pretty sure it is great as everything else here. After leaving, I had a look on the google business page and I couldn't believe this place had only 19 reviews. Anyway... Can't wait to come back again when I'll be back to Vientiane 😍 Ps. The cafe is only 5 min far from one the most important temple in Vientiane (Wat That Luang Tai), reason why this place is a must see as well. Pps. free wifi and air conditioning available.

Incredible!! Highly recommend coming here for the great food, drinks, spectacular art, and welcoming vibes!!! Loved talking to the owners who were so sweet and fun. They clearly have such a passion for people and art. I loved the tiramisu cake, Pad Thai, panang curry, croissants and matcha latte. They had such great, flavors. Also, painting was really affordable and fun! They kept helping me get new colors whenever I needed it. You have got to go!!! Honestly such an impeccable and fun experience. Great date idea too! Art House Cafe is a secret treasure. The friendly owner supports local artists and rising young talents by helping them sell their art, which is showcased throughout the cafe gallery. Many of the artists also work as baristas in the cafe. The food and coffee were delicious and the service was excellent. And, if you are feeling creative, you can get a blank canvas and go upstairs to the art studio where you can create your own masterpiece. I was recommended to try this cafe because of their amazing pastries (specifically croissants) but there was nothing on display anymore, all displays were empty. I honestly thought they were closing but maybe it's cause it was a Sunday? Dishes and menu was fairly unique and inexpensive. They have the right idea trying to make their food match up to the cozy setting but there just wasn't anything that special with the taste. Staff wasn't attentive. With the place being so close to a bank, id only consider trying it again if its a weekend and they have croissants. Just another cute cafe in Vientiane. Total experience: eh

I love the staff. They are so kind and polite ❤️ I ordered coffee which was very good. The smoothie bowl and mushroom soup were quite small portions, but tasty. The only thing that put me off a little bit, was that when I ordered the smoothie bowl, they didn’t have banana and kiwi, so they had to change to different fruits. When I wanted to order spinach soup, they also didn’t have it, so I had to order a different one. They also have many meals on the menu that are not available. You can pay by card, but they charge 3% extra for that.
