Torve-Hallen in Sønderborg makes some really, really good food. The pizza is amazing – honestly one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Thin, crispy, flavorful, just really well made. The pasta is also excellent, rich and tasty, something I’d happily come back for. The burger, on the other hand, wasn’t for me. It felt quite standard and nothing special compared to the pizza and pasta. Not bad, just not on the same level. The location is great, right by the water, and the atmosphere is really nice, especially on a good day. All in all, a very good experience. For me the pizza and pasta alone make it worth a visit.

very rude service. we had a table reservation and asked if we could be seated at the free table at the window. We got a very rude reply - no this is not possible...this is reserved. the restaurant was 2/3 empty and also this table stayed empty until we left. we had a very small table with a fantastic view into the kitchen.her bad behaviour continued ..... We came to Denmark again because of the nice people and the nice views towards the sea.... no nice people here and only views into the kitchen. The quality of the food was ok, but the way this lady treated us is unacceptable. (maybe she had a bad day, but we only came here to have a good time)

Great food and alfresco (if desired) dining with a delightful view of the water. I had the module frites which were perfect.

The restaurant was quite crowded, but they’ve still found a place with a wonderful view! The staff were very friendly and kind. The food was spectacular and quite fast made. For the price the food was really delicious! As they would say it was very hygge!

Wonderful restaurant. We went on a Saturday evening well before 6 and got a table without reservation. (People who came later without reservation had to wait). We had the two vegetarian pastas and they were both delicious - especially the one with truffles. The chocolate mousse was excellent too. The staff were very friendly. Seating is on two floors and the upper floor has interesting murals. The ambience was great. Would recommend.

Ive visited this place twice now with the past year. One time i got a burger and the other a pizza. Both were great. Although i recommend the pizza. It was simply amazing. Customer service is fantastic and food is great. What else could you want from a night out. In my opinion this place is better than 90% of the cafes in Sønderborg. Also, the view is great. But i didnt book ahead of time the 2 times i have visited unforuntately. So our view was not the best. But completely my fault. If you want a good view reserve a table and askk for a window spot. They plenty of vegetarian food so my girlfriend was happy. Great place, highly recommend.

The steak was one of the best I’ve had in a long time at a restaurant. Cooked perfectly. Well seasoned. Bearnaise sauce was tasty. It was on the expensive size and the steak size was quite small, but the quality made up for it. Service was friendly and efficient.

Been here on Easter Sunday 8 p.m. Good food, easy ambient, Bottle of wine. Nice place to be. Relaxed young staff. Enjoy.

Moules frites were horrible, dry and overcooked. Had their cheesecake that was advertised as coming with strawberries and chokolade sauce but came with one (1!) very small strawberry and a decorative squeeze from a bottle of store bought chocolate sauce. Not impressed!

Fantastic location in the very center of Sønderborg, the menu is a typical Cafe menu with sandwiches, burgers fish plates etc. The portions are huge and more than I could finish. We had the Stjerneskud and the Vesterhavsplate which were both delicious. The service is hit n miss, a few servers are outstanding, and others forget uou, don't know how to receive Euro, or don't know how to spell items on the menu you asked to get removed.

Beautiful restaurant with beautiful ambiance. The food was exceptionally amazing and the service was amazing. You can go for brunch there and there is variety of foods, desserts, cold and warm foods to choose from. They also play really good music and the vibe is really good.

Good but not the best Cappuccino and lattes. The quality of the bean was good but not great. I ordered a large and it was in a cup I would call a small but I am American so you know why i make that statement. Good service and nice atmosphere. I would return.

They have new menu now and made some renovation inside. Very good salmon sandwich and banana bread. The best coffee in the town. You can eat either indoor or outdoor in a very cozy yard. Staff is friendly and polite.

Super cute and cozy little place. The coffee is very nice, the pancakes, waffles and cinnamon buns are heavenly! The lovely decoration and smooth french music make you feel right at home. So much so, my MIL promptly fell asleep after a nice treat. The waitress was super sweet and attentive and spoke absolute perfect English and German! We'll definitely be back!

We got the big brunch for 139 kr. and it was very good. Especially the egg muffin and the omlett were chefs kiss! However it says on the menu that you get a pølse (sausage) and we got a piece of salami which was still good but could be misleading. You don't get a full on sausage. The atmosphere and the waitress were very nice aswell but in the end it is more on the pricy side of breakfast.

To be honest I was dragged here by someone and didn't know what to expect. I was told that they serve good Danish food so I ordered a sandwich of the day (fish and eggs if I recall correctly), my brother and girlfriend ordered other things I don't recall the names of, but the point is that it was all great. The person in charge definitely put a lot of care into dishes that were served (I was looking at other tables too), the taste was good and the way the dishes were decorated was outstanding.

They make all the ice-cream in house. Flavours are very innovative and different. The ice-cream cakes are especially amazing. Location is perfect, rightly facing the sea. They also serve good coffee and warm drinks. Very cozy place on a day with less rush. Very happening on a warm afternoon.

Every morning the ice creams and sorbets are made fresh, there are a ton of cool and unusual flavors (think basil, romkugle, champagne etc), and what’s even cooler, they offer a. All the single use items are sustainable (compostable, from FSC materials etc). Danish ‘castle’ (to more like palace to me) In a stunning setting with lovely walks along the fjord. Cafe with lots of fresh food, small modern art gallery and sculptures in the gardens. You can’t go in the castle and if have appreciated more information about the history of the place.

Great cozy place with very good breakfast. Nice food presentation. Unfortunately kitchen is too slow. We had to wait 50 minutes for the food to arrive. There were not so many people, just 18 guests in the restaurant.

RUDE! Me and my wife wanted to have a cup of coffee. We were accompanied by our dog. My wife waited outside (!) with the dog and I went inside to ask whether dogs are allowed or not. Music was rock in a library in the evening. Not cool and broke the vibe. New pictures on wall, plus the music makes me think they want a Hard Rock cafe when it should be a soothing place for venue and clientele. Desserts were also nit as good as in the past. Service was very nice however.

Absolutely outstanding service and quality. We visited today and had a little issue that was our own fault with the bread we chose. The incredible team went above and beyond to help and sort out issue that was like I said our own fault. I've never experienced customer service on this level so well done to the amazing team for helping us out on such a high and kind level ( especially the young man behind the counter) . The quality of the coffee, sweets and bread was also incredible. My family and I highly recommend this lovely place.
