Coffee shop
Five Elephant Mitte is a trendy cafe located on a leafy street near Gorlitzer Park in the Kreuzkolln neighborhood of Berlin. It is known for pioneering the third-wave coffee trend in the city and offers some of the best coffee experiences. The cafe features vintage maps showcasing the journey of their coffee beans from countries like Brazil, Ethiopia, El Salvador, and Colombia.
I came here on my first visit to Berlin, and was so excited to return again this last time. Their coffee is spectacular, the service is always upbeat and friendly, and this time I tried one of their mini cheesecakes and oh… my… word. The narrow cafe layout could be a little claustrophobic, but if you’re lucky to get a seat by the window to people watch, or outside on a nice day, it’s great to enjoy your coffee there. They also have coffee beans for sale, which I highly recommend.
Felipe L — Google review
Super vibey coffee shop! Really good in house selection. No pour overs but the batch brew was excellent. The Kenyan was super clean and tasty. Also ordered their cheesecake and banana bread. Super tasty without being overly sweet. Jose the barista was friendly and helpful. Service quick.
Brandon Y — Google review
A great spot if you're looking for a quick, no-fuss coffee to go. The space is quite small with very limited seating, so it's not the place to sit and relax for a while. The cakes, however, are absolutely amazing and definitely the highlight here—they're worth the visit alone. The coffee itself was a bit too bitter for my taste, but it gets the job done if you're in a hurry.
Ana C — Google review
I enjoyed the vibe in this coffee shop. And the staff here is very friendly and nice. Coffee is also great, but the pastry I would say is overpriced. pain au chocolat costs around 4 euros each…… totally out of my surprise
Jean H — Google review
The best place to drink coffee in Berlin. The quality of the coffee is outstanding, and the staff are not only friendly but also incredibly efficient. Make sure to try the cheesecake — it’s absolutely delicious!
Juan M — Google review
Great selection of beans for purchase and the coffee is great! Don’t forget to the the chocolate cookies, it is one of the best around the area. Better than many cookie chop.
Arana W — Google review
My favourite cafe in Berlin. Excellent coffee and pastry. Their cheesecake is to die for! Very lovely staff as well. I return here everytime I'm in Berlin.

The Barn Café is a renowned Berlin coffee shop with two locations, one in Prenzlauer Berg and the other in Berlin Mitte. It features a roastery and taste lab where visitors can enjoy freshly roasted coffee and indulge in Portuguese egg tarts. The café also took over the iconic Cafe Kranzler, maintaining its legacy since 1825.
Is this the best coffee in the world? Certainly not, especially since I’m not a big fan of freshly roasted beans for espresso. Yet they do work wonders for milk based drinks and most certainly for filter coffee that I tend to love. The coffee is made well here, the location is beautiful, it’s a great spot to stop over for coffee and sandwich whenever you are in Mitte.
Yevgen G — Google review
Love this place—super cute and cozy, it reminds me of some of the cafes in Japan. The staff are so friendly and there’s a really cool, earthy vibe. It’s become one of my favourite coffee spots I found in Berlin! The matcha is incredible—made from a small pot and whisked right in front of you, which adds such a nice touch. Their coffee selection is great too, and the outdoor seating is a lovely bonus. Highly recommend!
AB — Google review
It is very important for me to have a delicious Coffee and nice service. This place exactly covers these criteria. Nice coffees, smiling and polite staff, and the vibe is definitely calming. Hope they can keep this level
Ali S — Google review
Excellent coffee! The barista was so kind and knowledgeable and my husband and I both enjoyed our cappuccino, pour over and pastries. Definitely a hit for our last day in Berlin.
Miranda R — Google review
very good oat milk cappuccino, but their product selection is so small I almost wanted to ask if that's truly all they've got. the cake was too dry and the sandwich soggy. and they don't have a restroom. if you offer eating in, you should definitively have one of those on site.
Charlie C — Google review
Loved this cafe! - friendly service - a perfect piccolo - smooth, rich and perfectly balanced. The cake was delicious and loved the board it was served on. A great place to chill and watch the world go by ☕️✨
Sarah A — Google review
I’ve given this place many chances over time, but unfortunately, the takeaway coffee is often poorly made — so be careful. When we’ve stayed to sit in, everything was fine. But recently, we grabbed coffee to go, and it was honestly undrinkable: the milk was scalding hot, no latte art whatsoever, and the taste was just bad. It feels like once you’re a takeaway customer, they stop caring — you came and went, so there’s no incentive to do better. Also, the tipping system where you’re expected to decide on a tip before even tasting your coffee is really off-putting. I tipped out of habit, but after getting the drink, I was left with a bitter aftertaste — and not just from the coffee.
Kateryna T — Google review
I think The Barn is highly overrated, and after trying a few of its branches, it’s no longer a place I want to go to. The seating seems to be designed more for discomfort than comfort probably to make sure you drink your coffee quickly and don’t occupy the small shop for too long. I don’t like places like this because I want to sit and have a long chat with my friends over coffee. Another thing I dislike is that when you order a milk-based coffee, it’s served almost cold. Also, there’s no restroom available for customers. The staff are kind and try to do their job well. I wouldn’t call it a bad place, but I also don’t see anything worth praising.

Father Carpenter is a standout café in Berlin's Mitte district, known for its exceptional coffee and inventive brunch offerings. Since 2015, this hip establishment has been serving delicious coffee and fantastic brunch dishes in an elegant courtyard just off Munzstrasse. The café's Australian owner has influenced its unique approach to coffee and dining. With table service available, guests can enjoy their meals either outside in the courtyard or inside the spacious dining room.
A unique coffee and breakfast restaurant. We came with the opening and get a table without waiting. The can get a paper menu or scan QR code. We ordered the shakshuka, avocado and yogurt. All was tasty and good. The service was fine. The toilet is outside the coffee. The price was ok. Overall recommend.
Etty L — Google review
Wonderful place, the way there feels like you’re entering a hidden spot, but once inside it’s lively and full of people. We were lucky to find a table quickly and got served fast. The staff were super friendly and welcoming with smiles all around. Not the biggest fan of the coffee, but the food was a solid 8/10. Definitely a good spot for a nice weekend hangout.
Anouar M — Google review
One of the best — and always a favorite! This is my go-to breakfast spot whenever I’m in Berlin. The food and coffee are consistently excellent, and the atmosphere is wonderfully cozy and relaxed. I especially love the inner yard seating, but the inside of the café is just as charming. A truly lovely place to start the day.
Vadym P — Google review
Really nice place in a Berlin courtyard. We came on Saturday at about 11:30 and didn’t have to wait for a table. People who arrived 30 minutes later had to wait, so come between breakfast and lunch if you don’t want to wait. We ordered shakshuka and it was delicious. The coffee was also very good. The hospitality was absolutely kind and supportive. Prices were affordable. We definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel the Berlin vibe.
Dmitry P — Google review
Great staff, great coffee, great food. Overall great experience. It was a bit loud, but not a bad thing - it just seems like everyone was enjoying themselves! A great place for a proper Berlin brunch. Try the Barista Breakfast- a great way to sample several of their coffee offerings. The poached eggs on gluten free toast with avocado was so good, as was the vegan banana bread.
Zack D — Google review
What a great little restaurant for breakfast! The poached eggs with avocado was divine!! The FC Benedict with pulled pork was also a favorite!! The hollandaise sauce was pretty good for a German :) - ie it was excellent !! We were so excited for the food.. we only got a picture of our cappuccino and the Barista Breakfast.
Cagla D — Google review
It's a popular and always crowdy hipster place in a very cosy backyard. Drinks weren't the best. Food was ok. However for our stomachs it was a little bit too heavy
Liva L — Google review
Food was decent but not amazing — expected much more from this place given the long queue and quaint seating space outside. It does get a bit noisy when it’s packed. Price was also high for the food quality — might visit here only if am in the area and want a good spot to relax and have a tea break. Service was also nice although it takes quite long to get one server’s attention to order or make payment.

Distrikt Coffee is a trendy and stylish cafe located in Bergstrasse 68, Mitte. The industrial-chic space is filled with plants and features raw brick walls, wooden and black steel tables, and comfortable leather couches. This speciality coffee shop takes pride in using high-quality locally and internationally roasted beans to create delicious single origin coffee.
I had a brunch at Distrikt, which was a bit on the pricey side, but the food and the hot drinks were good and filling (I had an avocado on toast with two extra eggs). The cafe itself is relaxed and cosy and is in close proximity to the Berlin Wall Memorial. The team was also very friendly, accommodating and welcoming.
Iryna S — Google review
Solid spot for breakfast/brunch, has their latte and avocado toast. Probably one of the most flavorful avocado toasts I’ve had, would highly recommend! Coffee shop itself is pretty spacious, good lighting and nice spot to work or hangout/chat.
Krishna K — Google review
I’ve been coming here for years, and it continues to be one of the most solid and consistently great brunch spots in Berlin. The staff is always friendly, the vibe relaxed, and while the menu evolves from time to time, the food has always been flavorful, well-presented, and on point. Whether you’re a regular or visiting for the first time – highly recommend.
Benjamin W — Google review
Green bowl is EXCELLENT. got a rye cookie that was too sweet and grainy for my preference. Prices are a tad high but i enjoyed my meal
Jade — Google review
Be prepared to wait 20-25 mins to be seated. The cafe was crowded and popular. The staff will let you wait downstairs before you get the seat. The staff were very attentive and cheerful. And the vibe is nice and cafe is cozy. The chia pudding wad ok but nothing special. The French toast too.But the presentation looked nice. The hot chocolate is the normal watery one not the thick one (which you can always get in Poland).
Nomad W — Google review
Not every place is worth waiting in line for. But as someone who queued in the rain, I can say Distrikt is absolutely worth it. The chia pudding in particular, truly live up to the hype. Also the matcha was great just as its vibrant green color promised.
Tugce I — Google review
Distrikt is in a tight run for best breakfast place in BER, coffe is top notch and eating options are on par with Annelies. I would say if you are a third wave coffee lover this offers the best combo of coffee/bkfst eats. Bkfst Sandwich was Eggcellent, great bright an juicy filter coffee. Service is slow but super nice, but hat’s normal in Europe.
M M — Google review
Hidden gem in one of Mitte‘s back roads, vibey yet cozy. I particularly enjoyed the chocolatey note in my latte macchiato as well as the super chilled server. Maybe not the best of the best, but certainly among my top10 cafes in Berlin ☕️

Bonanza Coffee Roasters is a standout in Berlin's coffee scene, having been founded in 2006 with a commitment to specialty coffee. Led by founder Kiduk Reus, the small roastery and cafe has made its mark on the city. Known for their excellent coffee and knowledgeable baristas, Bonanza has three locations including a light- and foliage-filled roastery-cafe at Adalbertstrasse.
I like Bonanza so much! Great chain of coffee spots in the city. Specifically this place is a very cozy with a great vibe. What’s special about it - there are horse farm nearby, located in a courtyard with historical buildings, lots of space. During weekdays there are lots of office workers going on morning coffee or spending their lunch time. That’s mostly it! Pastry 🥐 is always good, fresh and crunchy
Serge A — Google review
The back area offers a calm atmosphere where you can comfortably work on your laptop. Despite the spacious layout, there aren’t that many seats. There’s also outdoor seating, but personally, the chairs aren’t ideal for sitting over long periods. The overall interior is well-designed, with red brick walls, a green door, and plants that tie it all together beautifully. As for the coffee—need I say more? It’s excellent, almost making me feel like being at Bonanza Café in Seoul. I couldn’t help but smile when I noticed the restroom sign written in Korean right by the door!
Hyein J — Google review
The location is wonderful! I really appreciated the "no WiFi" signs. It is a great way to keep the space relaxed and free from people working on laptops. The music was thoughtfully chosen, and I loved the large window wall offering a peek into the roastery. It adds a unique and engaging touch to the atmosphere. I visited in the morning when the shop was relatively empty, yet I still waited 15 minutes for a simple cappuccino. During that time, the only barista on duty was also taking orders, while other staff members were rushing around but not assisting at the bar. It's hard to understand how this setup is seen as acceptable by the owners. Overall, it's a beautiful place and worth a visit for the ambiance — but if you're just looking for a quick coffee, the wait may not be worth it.
Fringer15 — Google review
We tried two different filtered coffees, Indian and Guatemala. Sadly, both were not good. Maybe the other assortment is better. Had higher expectations given that they roast on their own. I always like to support independent coffee makers, but it didn't meet our standards.
Juliana L — Google review
The coffee was absolutely delicious. But they served me the last of what was left in the thermos and it was barely drinking temperature. I’m not the one to argue so I just drank it anyway but I would like it if they had a system in place to see whether the coffee is serve-able or not. Having said that, the taste of the coffee was still quite good. And so was the salmon croissant. I will definitely visit again but a little disappointed with the serving from this particular visit
Adnan M — Google review
A Must-Visit for Coffee Lovers in Berlin Bonanza Roastery in Kreuzberg is a true gem for anyone passionate about specialty coffee. Tucked away in a beautifully restored industrial space, the location alone sets the tone, spacious, airy, and full of character. It perfectly blends modern design with the raw charm of its past life, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. Excellent service, knowledgeable and friendly staff who clearly love what they do and are happy to guide you through their offerings without pretension. Whether you’re a seasoned aficionado or just starting to explore the world of specialty coffee, you’re in excellent hands. The selection of coffee is top-tier. Carefully sourced and expertly roasted, each cup is a small masterclass in flavor and balance. Whether you go for a single origin pour-over or an espresso-based drink, you’re guaranteed quality and care in every sip.
Cosmin B — Google review
I need only one word to describe my culinary experience at Bonanza: harmony. A proper wifi-free hipster cafe, berlinesque vibes, two shots espresso as default and it‘s relatively calm (!) - so this place got it all. A 5€ Iced Latte Macchiato has never been a better feast to me. Hallelujah, praise The Lord.
The B — Google review
As a coffee fan, I came to try this place. The coffee and service were good. The place is nice, with lots of families and children, so you have to be more careful if you are a smoker. I tried a slice of pumpkin pie, which I found bland. The price was €13 including tip, and the coffee is filtered. I found it expensive in terms of value for money. Would I go back? No.

Silo Coffee is a popular spot known for its trendy atmosphere and outdoor seating, serving up breakfast and lunch specials alongside specialty coffee. Travelled across the city to brunch here. Small but lovely menu (allergens clearly marked). Great vibe. Friendly staff. The gluten free bread is incredible (nearly sent it back as I thought it must be ‘normal’!). Would thoroughly recommend ♥️

We ordered waffles and the other salted breakfast with egg n avocado you can see in the pictures! The atmosphere is nice American style food too! In my opinion the price could be less compared with the size of portions ✨ but it’s delicious 😋

We tried the cinnamon rosemary pancakes for the first time — fluffy pancakes with cream cheese, rosemary, and maple-glazed apricots, topped with roasted almonds. Such a unique combination, and absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was warm and cozy, especially with the smell of freshly made chai latte in the air. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. A great spot for brunch in Berlin — highly recommended!
Paola L — Google review
Generous portions and good looking and tasting plates. The pancakes are a must if you go there. Coffee also really good and the guys taking us were really nice as well. The only thing we didn’t like was the canele that tasted a little burned. Definitely a place to come back.

I had a fantastic experience at this café! The service was absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. I ordered the French toast, and it was easily one of the best I’ve ever had—delicious. The coffee was just as impressive: rich and smooth. Whether you're stopping in for a quick cup or a relaxed brunch, this place is a gem. Highly recommended!

The beef melt and the french toast were both finger-lickin' good. The portions are relatively small unfortunately which makes it quite pricey (14/15 € each dish) but still have to give 5 stars for the taste.

Super nice breakfast/brunch place. The food is excellent, prices are good, hosts are very nice. Overall a super nice place. It may be a little bit crowded if you come at high peak times. If you’re around stop by to grab something to eat. A+

The place is packed but obviously for a good reason. We got a table quite quickly and the waiter was incredibly gorgeous! The food was delicious (unfortunately didn’t catch a good photo) of this delicious beef sandwich. I gave 4 starts to the atmosphere because it was very hot inside.

Great coffee with perfect foam. A lovely coffee shop to spend some time while exploring Berlin. It's located inside the famous Hackesche Höfe.

We had a pleasant time at this little coffee shop. Only 4 stars for service since the bathroom wasn’t in working order. Cappuccino on the patio is recommended.

Great atmosphere and location thats for sure. Friendly staff and good coffee I can say. The only bad thing how expensive was “ the smash “, and it hit me later cause I was having a meeting with a friend, I paid 11 euros for a toasted bread with avocado and cheese?! It is my bad to not talked with them about it but I recommend them to add more things on the bread or change the price. Otherwise doesnt worth it.

You must stop by here while in Berlin! It’s already my favourite coffee shop! The Tunisian Latte is wonderful and their coffee is very rich and fruity. The staff are also very friendly and the vibes are so calming!

Very excited by the written as well as the oral propaganda around Ben Rahim‘s outstanding coffee, I went there this morning and ordered an Iced Latte Macchiato. In contrast to most cafes, they served it with a frozen cube of espresso. The problem with that however is: It takes quite long (like 30-45min) to get to taste the espresso, bruh. Which kinda forces me to conclude that this is not a place for ice coffee lovers… Also, I was a bit disappointed by the almost non-existent vegan food options… Nonetheless, the very friendly service, the laid-back vibes and their embodiment of love for coffee make a visit worth it. Well, I‘m gonna come back, give them another chance, try one of their other (non-iced) creations and hopefully have a more satisfying experience and potentially adjust my review.

A specialty coffee spot that’s cozy and welcoming, with excellent coffee options and friendly staff. Perfect for working on a laptop, enjoying tasty sweets, and relaxing with nice background music. A truly unique place with a special atmosphere, well worth a visit

They have lactose free milk! It’s very hard for me for me to find places that don’t offer oat milk as an alternative. Actual milk makes the coffee ten times more enjoyable for me. This being said, the coffee was really good. However, there was a huge line and the baristas were rushing a bit with the preparation process. It was, nevertheless, still a very good cup of coffee.

St. Oberholz is a two-story bar-restaurant housed in a 19th-century building at Rosenthaler Platz, Berlin. It's a popular spot known for its daily changing menu, snacks, and bagels. The cafe has evolved over the years and now includes multiple locations across the city. The main location offers great people-watching opportunities while sipping on coffee or enjoying snacks. With its central location near tram and subway stations, it's always bustling with activity.
As an American ex-pat, that it is generally frowned upon to take one's laptop out and start working at most cafes in Germany is refreshing and wonderful. And because of that, I am all the more grateful for St. Oberholz is here to be my my home away from home for getting work done in Berlin when I want to work around people. The atmosphere and energy of the people co-working is always interesting and conducive to work, the cafe has great coffee and food; wifi policy is sensible, signal is good, and I'm always impressed by how welcoming and nice the staff working there are, despite handling a lot of people and product in multi-story location. Thanks for being there for me!

The WORST matcha latte in my life!✨ (The pic is after I paid 70 cents for extra shot, so in total 5.7euro. Still only 10% matcha taste!) At first, it did not taste any close to matcha at all. It tasted like pure milk. And it's not my own opinion, I let my friends try mine before I tell them if I like ir and they also said it just has 0 taste of matcha. We went to the counter and asked them if they can add matcha, and she said I need to pay 70cents more and I did. It has more taste before, still I could feel it only when I really focus my whole energy on tongue. So we described like 10% matcha. We talked to them, and they said they have "good matcha" and it already has "75 gram". But what does 75 gram mean when anyway that 75 gram includes liquid? I saw they just mix liquid matcha and in this case, 75 gram does not mean anything when we don't know the mixture. Also they said "it's matter of taste". Wow! So I guess their matcha is only for people who love pure milk with 10% taste like matcha paying extra 70 cents. Most importantly, this is not about if it's a good quality of matcha, but about if it "taste like matcha" at all or not. It would be nice if everyone can consider that their matcha does not taste like matcha but only pure milk when they order matcha here :)

A coffee place that runs on the mood of the Barista! Two days i ordered large cappuccino to go! One day i get a large cup and the other day a small cup. On asking why am i being served the coffee in a small cup when i did ask for a large cappuccino, very rudely the barista informed this is the right cup! Feels like day light robbery specially when you are paying 4,7€ for a cup of coffee and you are bot even getting the right size!

This is one of my happy places in Berlin. Every time I come here, I enjoy the coffee, the food, and the beautiful street view, people passing by, a calm yet lively atmosphere. Despite being on a half-busy street, it feels peaceful and minimalistic, with a great creative vibe. Their ciabatta sandwiches are super crusty and delicious, and the baristas are kind, smiling, and genuinely good people. Coffee competition in Berlin is fierce, but this place stands out with its energy and authenticity.
Gökay G — Google review
It was a really nice study space although you have to pay for something every 1.5 hours if you want access to their wifi for longer than that.
Sophie M — Google review
I like the place, love the concept and I’m certain I will visit again. I also think it’s fair to buy a new drink every 90min. However, drinks are super expensive and take forever to be made. WiFi sometimes cuts out or is too slow for meetings. Staff are nice, just service feels unnecessarily slow sometimes. Food isn’t really great most of the time unfortunately, some dried out croissants or a sandwich, cookies. If you’re lucky and they just got fresh ones, then it’s nice.

Perfect place for coworking! 👩‍💻💖 The cafe had many different food and beverages 🫶🏼 in general quite pricey tho! The Cafe has a huge upstairs seating area with plenty of seating options and plugs 🔌 for working! The working atmosphere was great and they had free WiFi too! 💘I had a really good experience and can definitely recommend for studying or working in Berlin 👩‍💻❤️

Great coworking space with plenty of outlets, office desks/chairs, and wifi vouchers that work for 10 hours. However, there is a huge fly problem here and I found myself swatting at flies half the time I was here, making it a bit of an uncomfortable experience.

Hallesches Haus Store is a trendy spot in the vibrant Berlin district of Kreuzberg, offering a combination of a gift shop, brunch spot, and events space. The store features stylish fashion, accessories, everyday homeware from independent labels, and unique gifts like nude torso candles. The bright and plant-filled space also houses a delightful cafe serving brunch with vegan options.
This place has such a pretty outdoor area, especially on a sunny day. The overall design is lovely, and it’s the kind of spot where you could easily spend hours relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere. They even have a dedicated laptop area, though I was a bit disappointed to find out that laptops aren’t allowed on weekends when I came to work. My favourite dish here is the Caponata and Hummus, it looks beautiful and tastes even better!
Niusha A — Google review
We were there on a Saturday for brunch and the place itself is beautiful and love the plants on the ceilings. We also got a place after 5 minutes of waiting. And had to wait another 20-30 minutes for our food. The portion of the egg Benedict could be larger, but it tastes very delicious. But I still liked the coffee the most. I would go again for a coffee but not for food.
Vaish T — Google review
We got a table without a reservation after a short 5-minute wait, which was great. The service was excellent – very friendly and attentive. We both ordered decaf iced lattes, which were delicious. We also had the Eggs Benedict – they were good, though not the best I’ve ever had. I personally didn’t love the black cabbage salad that came with the bread, but that’s just a matter of taste. The location is bright and open with lots of natural light, and the overall vibe is really nice. I’d definitely come back – if only for the incredibly kind and welcoming staff!
Sarah G — Google review
A friend recommended this place, and I almost ordered everything on the menu, including the kitchen sink, because the food looked like it could win a beauty pageant. Unfortunately, it was more of a “looks can be deceiving” situation. The French toast was just bread with berries, lacking any sweetness—like a vanilla-less vanilla dream. I don’t usually go for super sweet stuff, but this was supposed to be a flavor explosion, not a flavor fizzle. On the bright side, the staff was friendly, and the library setting had some good vibes. I might give it another shot, but next time, I’ll order less and hope for a plot twist.
Nicholas G — Google review
I ordered the vegan waffle. The menu says "we only have a few items so that we can make them well", which I respect and find smart. However, the waffle came out soggy and quite cold. For a Belgian waffle, as advertised, the waffle was also rather flat and undercooked. The flavors were tasty, particularly the apple quince, but after paying 16 euros, I would hope to feel moderately full, and yet my stomach is still grumbling. I loved the atmosphere, and the wait staff were kind.

Hallesches Haus is one of my favorite places in Berlin. My colleagues and I go there for lunch quite often. Great food, amazing ambience. One small complaint I've about this place is a bit of mismanagement during lunch time. They're super busy. Therfore, they miss orders. The food is served very late too. But food is simply the best.
Asha G — Google review
The bacon was cooked to perfection but I think the leaves in the toast had a very strong flavor for my liking, I would have liked it better without them. The waffle is ok, but too many sweet components and it’s too sweet to eat it all.

Nestled in the vibrant neighborhoods of Berlin, Bonanza Coffee stands as a true pioneer of the third wave coffee movement. With its roots firmly planted in Prenzlauer Berg and an additional charming location in Kreuzberg, this beloved coffee roaster has cultivated a dedicated following among locals who adore their fruity-flavored beans. Each visit to Bonanza is met with warm smiles from knowledgeable staff eager to share insights into their innovative brewing techniques.
I had a great experience at Bonanza Coffee near Friedrichstraße! The atmosphere is cozy and modern, perfect for taking a break. The coffee was excellent, especially the cappuccino – smooth and aromatic. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the visit even more enjoyable.. I will definitely come back and highly recommend this coffee shop!

The latte art was magnificent. Very silky froth. However the taste of the coffee beans were average, very light and almost chocolaty. They also only offer oat as alternative milks. And they don’t even have a toilet which is a bit ridiculous for a cafe of this size
Aydan K — Google review
This is hands down one of my favourite coffee networks in Berlin. It’s the perfect spot for anyone who genuinely cares about the quality and taste of their coffee. The drinks are always excellent, and they are perfectly complemented by their desserts—whether it’s a pastry that looks like a piece of art or just a simple, delicious cookie. I also love buying their beans here to take home, especially after trying a batch brew I really enjoy. Always a pleasure to visit Bonanza!
Vadym P — Google review
Had flat white and a tea. Great coffee with a very delicate taste. There are seatings outside on the street, in the backyard and a few inside where you buy your coffee.
Peter Ø — Google review
Good coffee and food, although at a higher price point than other cafés. However, for the high price, there are no toilets. If you want to go to the toilet, you have to walk five minutes and rent a toilet (70 cents) in the shopping mall.
Minori O — Google review
I started my morning at this coffee shop on a chilly day, craving a flat white. The barista was friendly and even struck up a short conversation with me about cameras, which felt rare and refreshing these days. He recommended the chocolate croissant—his favorite—and it turned out to be an excellent choice: perfectly flaky with rich dark chocolate. My flat white was also spot-on, with beautifully steamed milk and layered latte art. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up buying a bag of beans to take home. Can’t wait to brew them!

I had a great time at this branch of Bonanza Coffee. I tried their filter brew, which was delicious. They offered beans from Costa Rica and Peru, and both roasts were fantastic. The seating area is peaceful and perfect for catching up with friends.

It was a great place with great stuff. But something happened and new people now make coffee and take the orders. It became miserable. You wait for coffee for hours. They became very slow. And not friendly at all. Previously people there were really friendly to customers. Now just like OK, you are here, but whatever, you could wait when I will start to make you coffee or you will wait just to hear hello.

Founded by Ivo Weller and Yvonne Weller, the family business has deep roots in gastronomy and has been serving caffeine-packed drinks since 2006.
This became my favorite location of Röststätte after the very first visit. The nicest barista recommended me seasonal drinks and helped me choose coffee beans for my home espresso machine. The atmosphere in this location is very cozy and more chill, although there are still a lot of visitors. Staff were very friendly and service here was so much nicer.

A lovely little spot with great coffee and tasty snacks and sandwiches. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. While the aesthetics aren’t my favorite, the space is still pleasant. Ideal for a quick stop or a takeaway coffee.

One of the best coffee places in Berlin, nice Italian affogato with a balanced texture between ice cream and espresso which is just how it should be. Not sour, just delicious.
Serge A — Google review
The cafe is really nice and the coffee is great, as well as the food options which are delicious. The drawback of this place is some of the staff who are very cold, (no one is smiling), not eager to help us make a choice on ordering. When we went to order a coffee on the go, the guy at the counter literally ignored us and spoke in German to the other costumers to go to the left and make a line, which we obviously didn’t know because we are not from there and spoke in English. Other costumers took our spot while we were just standing in the front, certainly ignored on purpose, and left without taking the coffee, went to another cafe. In a city full of cafes and bars, being professional and warm is what can keep you competitive.

If you really love coffee and you search clear flavours and properly made cups then this place must be in the top of your list. Everything there is premium apart from their prices. Very reasonably priced cups of coffee, high quality beans, extremely friendly and passionate coffee people! Well done guys!!!

I just wish the pistachio croissant was not almost empty inside.
L C — Google review
Great location, interiors are cosy, nice terrace that gets the sun, good coffee from generally friendly baristas who know what they are doing. The pastries are decent enough although there is some stiff competition in this area. My only caveat is one staff member (possibly the owner?) who works here who is mind-bogglingly rude. She slams your drink down on your table, glares you down if you try and smile at her, whips away everyone’s cups before they’ve even had a chance to finish their drinks making you feel incredibly unwelcome. I now avoid this cafe in order not to have to interact with this particular whirlwind of negative vibes. Mitte now has a plethora of wonderful cafes with friendly, smiley staff who brighten your day, and don’t go out of their way to make you feel like you have to drink your coffee and leave within 5 mins, so I can’t understand the places that still encourage this behaviour from their staff. Apart from that it’s a lovely place.

The flatwhite was tasty, right on point, the Colombian beans never dissappoint. And it was 4€, which is very reasonable for being in Berlin, although the cup was smaller than other shops. The atmosphere was nice and well ventilated (inside), as well as a nice outdoor seatings. It was crowded, and I had to wait for quite a bit, but there were still some seats left. I had to order a takeaway though since I was short on time. Staffs were efficient in handling the orders. They seemed a bit rushed and impatient in the services, but its totally understandable due to the ammount of orders they have to process. Overall good.

Coffee was good. I had a flat white. Also got a peanut butter cookie, which was delicious. Tali M — Google review
Bonanza! It’s a coffee shop near Mauerpark. Vibe is different, I would say - a very “berlinish” place. Different vibe but it suits a place very well. Interiors are not so glamorous, but shabby. There is some old smell like in a grandma’s apartment. Looks like there wasn’t a big investment in that place it all. It has a toilet which is small and clean. For some tourists it could be important and for locals as well. Besides that - it’s Bonanza. Great coffee and service as always.

Usually I always come for the cascara soda (which btw is such gift to us not being able to tolerate too much caffeine) anyhow this time around i decided to try the iced latte, and wow! Not the biggest coffee fan but it was so delicious 😋 also they have double shots in all their drinks?! Definitely worth it!!

Coffee is nice but the wait times are atrocious IMO (10+ minutes for one coffee). Maybe just on the weekends, I don't know.

I had an iced filter coffee and a peanut butter cookie. I thought the iced filter was nothing special, but you can’t expect too much from a filter. That said, I have had filter coffee at other venues where the bean selected had some really impressive flavour profiles. I thought the peanut butter cookie I had was quite good - it was moist and the peanut flavour was present. I liked the atmosphere outside, it was lively, with a bunch of people sitting around chatting. It was really nice on a sunny day.

The café offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with a cozy and comfortable atmosphere overall.

Concierge Coffee is a snug, industrial-chic coffee shop located in Kreuzberg, Berlin. Tucked away next to the canal and cobbled streets, this tiny hole-in-the-wall style cafe offers a hipster vibe and some of the best roasted coffee beans in the area. The minimalist space exudes an inviting aroma of roasting beans and is adorned with original concrete and red brick walls.
Tucked away in an building gate entrance on Paul Lincke Rufe. This spot has an antiquated and whimsical feel featuring an ordering window that looks into the cafe. Ordered a cappuccino and flat white and it’s probably one of the best tasting coffees in Kreuzberg. Their roast was smooth yet bold in flavor. Highly recommend if you are a coffee connoisseur. They also carry various baked goods and pastries. They retail their own beans as well which I may have to repeat just to purchase a bag. It was pretty full in the main room of the cafe when we were the (around 1 pm on Saturday), but they had a second room (which looked more like a hallway to be honest) that was completly emphty. The hallway with the tables wasn't filled with plants, what broke the atmosphere a bit. We had luck and later on got a table in the main room, so we had a great experience :) But don't expect to buy any plants there, because the prices are way to high 🥲🌱

A wonderful cafe tucked away in the old town which is quite unique. It serves coffee and cake and also sells luscious green house plants too. I opted for a cappuccino and a rhubarb scone. Both were delicious and the lady serving was very friendly and helpful too. An oasis of calm.

Coffee was great, the bowl and the tofu sandwich were so tasty I wanted another one. The cherry pie was delicious and homemade for sure. Plants create a truly aesthetically pleasing experience but some of them weren’t well taken care of. Overall we recommend. Have to add some of the tables are next to the cashier and in peak hours it’ll be uncomfortable.

I enjoyed my experience at this lovely and cozy place. It feels so warm and special. There are beautiful outdoor and indoor seating areas. The staff is young and hospitable. The coffee was so good. I ordered the coffee of the day and a latte with coconut milk. They sell plants and offer complimentary water.

They changed location and vibe completely. I've been here 2 years ago. It was this cozy, berlin-vibe coffee place, lots of wood and plants. Now it's just a tourist trap with no love and no system: in the front there's a sign that you should wait till you get seated. Meanwhile multiple people passed us and took seats that could have been ours. After waiting for 10min in the door I just went up to the service and interrupted them chatting, just to get the answer: "It's quite busy at the moment... maybe you just order, but then you have to wait a bit. Search yourself a seat...". So what is it, will I be seated? Or will you take down the sign? Messy and impersonal. I can't recommend.

Isla is a modern coffee shop and brunch spot located in the vibrant neighborhood of Neukolln in Berlin. The cafe is known for its focus on a circular economy concept, offering delicious weekend brunches with ingredients sourced sustainably. The owners, Peter Duran and Philipp Reichel, aimed to create an island-like retreat from the bustling Hermannstrasse, incorporating zero-waste efforts into their menu offerings.
Perfect Americano? As cozy as Berlin Little cafes can get. Americano is on point. No more no less. Soft boiled eggs on the toast were great. It has a unique taste that I never tasted before. Maybe it was the green salsa. If you're around here I would say it is a must. Especially the eggs. It will set a new standard for eggs on toast for you. Thank you Kate and Amy!

Delicious meal + coffee. Very kind service. Top quality across the board! Not sure why there are some harsh reviews..I would be a regular if this was in my hometown. Truly brightened my morning, thank you !

Absolutely loved the food here, soo many nice options to choose from and everything was great. The coffee especially stood out, in a world of nice coffee. I love that they had almond berry custard pudding bread, I see it so rarely. The accompanying custard was tangy and nice too. My picture is horrible.

I was delightedly surprised by the Poached Eggs on Toast, particularly the salsa verde they make there. I haven’t been wowed by a breakfast in a long time, but this was a treat. Very nice staff.

One of the best coffees in Berlin and a nice selection of alternating dishes. They always have unique option with tasty flavors— but I do miss the shredded mushroom dish. For now the savory pastries, sauce for the seasonal veggies, and friendly employees are my favorites.

Incredible food, friendly staff, cute environment, good coffee (not specialty) What more could you ask for!! Can’t hype it up enough, especially the food! Actual vegan options :) Definitely limited indoor seating so hard to get a table on a rainy day Idk if it’s worth traveling to but if you’re in the area I’d say isla is must try breakfast spot for a smaller group 1-4ppl Killer place

Review edited: Espresso was not so great, beans are clearly very fresh and good quality, but extraction was very poor, resulting in an very acidic double espresso which was hard to finish. Atmosphere was lovely, great service, probably filter coffee tastes better but haven't tried. I came from far for the espresso, and I went out disappointed :/

Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Kreuzberg, Westberlin is a modern café that captivates with its striking design and creative offerings. Known for its delightful coffees, scrumptious cakes, and light lunches, this spot also boasts an eclectic music selection that enhances the atmosphere. Such a cool spot. Loved their old location but this was defiantly an upgrade! Large outdoor area, good Air-con. Great coffee, great bakes!

Great contemporary interiors with a variety of breakfast options. Keep in mind that it's self-service. The provided magazines are awesome to kill some time reading. A really cute place in an amazing neighborhood manned by excellent staff who deliver your wishes on a plate with a smile. The outdoor setup available for a coffee date or a work meeting. I was there with my colleagues for a work meeting and completely enjoyed the set up and the beautiful hearts that came with our cappuccinos.❤️ Loved the French toast too. The crispy caramelized sugar added an excellent crunch to each bite! Will definitely visit again!
Bobby K — Google review
Service was super slow, it took around ~10 minutes just to take our order, where the condition was quite empty and another ~35 minutes just for the drinks (we ordered coffee frappe and cappuccino) to be served and had to wait for additional ~15 minutes for the food (we ordered beef pulled benedict and french toast) to be served, we had to ask literally for it, which in total we waited almost an hour for the food, and what made it worse was, the other person who just had ordered, their food came first than ours. The food was just okay, nothing special, for me personally, there's nothing that will make me come back, at least until they fix their service time, couldn't imagine if it was a busy hour. There are other options in the same neighborhood.
Sukoreno W — Google review
No Fire No Glory No Service: the WORST I have experienced in Berlin, as other recent reviews also state. Teenage waiters who preferred to film coffee pour-overs behind the counter for Instagram content, rather than serving multiple customers going up to order — before eventually telling them they should wait at their table for their order. We waited 10 minutes to be served, 27 minutes for a very mediocre flat white and cold espresso, and about an extra 20 minutes for food - the pancakes which, apparently, took so long because they had to be “cooked well enough to be fluffed up.” Poached eggs were overdone, pancakes were overly starchy, and menu is pretty underwhelming - so certainly not worth the wait. Multiple tables waiting for food, no sense of urgency to actually provide a service to customers, and staff roaming around with no idea of what table ordered what. Other tables served food and coffee before us, despite ordering after we did. And this was on a FRIDAY at 2pm, so hardly the Sunday brunch rush… Don’t let the ‘cool’ hype fool you; go somewhere else. There are MUCH better places in the neighbourhood without the hipster price tag.
Alex C — Google review
Fine brunch place, service was slow and the table we got was not good, next to a speaker and several tiles in the floor were broken, which made the chairs wobble. Food was tasty, but was served a bit cold. We got the coffee way too early, which we had finished by the time the food arrived. French toast was over caramelised, which made it too sweet.
Lucia R — Google review
My recent visit to No Fire No Glory was unfortunately marred by exceptionally poor service, even by Berlin standards. We waited approximately ten minutes for drink orders, followed by another twenty minutes with no food order taken nor acknowledged. What truly added the our frustration was observing customers who arrived after us not only place their orders, but also receive their food before we even had a chance to order. We then decided to leave and literally go next door. Within 15 minutes of the place next door (44 Brekkie at the time of this review) we were seated, took our order, and served food. While the coffee was decent at No Fire No Glory, it hardly stands out in Berlin's competitive scene (44 Brekkie which doesn’t even specialize in coffee was on par with this spot). Ultimately, without the opportunity to order, the culinary merits remain unknown. Until service significantly improves, I'd suggest exploring other dining options in Berlin.
Vahid — Google review
Food was very tasty, but took so long to arrive that it was almost not worth it. The staff seem to be overly busy, or not caring too much about being fast.
Mathias F — Google review
So we arrived at 11h with a reservation. It took over 10 minutes to get the menu. Then, we managed to order because the table next to us became impatient and went to ask for someone to take orders. Then we ordered and waited over 40 minutes to get our food. I had to stand up and ask for the food. Firstly the wrong order came, then we waited a bit longer for the right one. The pancakes were cold, soggy… I barely touched my plate and they didn’t even asked what went wrong so I guess they knew it’s not going that great. Was quite a frustrating experience overall. Also would be great to be able to close the toilets room door properly, so that the close tables to hear the constant flush. I tried to close it a few times but it wasn’t working. It’s indeed not “fire” and not a glorious place

Chapter One Coffee is a cozy and trendy neighborhood coffee shop located in the Bergmannkiez of Berlin Kreuzberg. Since 2011, it has been run by Nora and her business partner Bjorn, who are known for their warm welcomes and knowledgeable baristas. The cafe features a variety of roasters, offering siphon coffee, espresso drinks, and delicious pastries. It's a popular spot for its great cortados and American-style cafe ambiance.
One of Berlin's specialty coffee scene pioneers – and it's still great. Lovely small neighbourhood coffee bar with filter and espresso by some of Germany's and Europe's finest roasters, e.g. Audun Coffee, JB Kaffee, Ernst, Rozali, and many more.

Great coffee! And good croissants. The only downside is that it's a small place with almost no tables. It's primarily a takeout cafe, but it's worth a try!
Melisa S — Google review
Attracted by the good reviews, I was eager to give Chapter One a try - only to be disappointed by the ridiculous serving size is a joke. It might have been the smallest I‘ve had in Berlin so far. If the coffee in contrary could make up for it by being the best in town, I may be open to accept the trade-off - but the unfiltered truth is that their creation couldn’t live up to the real ballers (see my other cafe reviews). In addition to that, despite having a quite fancy looking barista bar, the general setting is everything but welcoming, I found…
The B — Google review
The coffee is exceptionally well crafted, featuring unique beans and meticulous brewing methods such as siphon, V60, and espresso—clearly prepared by people who truly understand their craft. The interior may be small and the seating arrangement a bit unconventional, yet the experience is absolutely worth the stop. While the pastries didn’t stand out, the coffee was nothing short of remarkable

Tucked away in the vibrant Kreuzberg district of Berlin, Companion Tea & Coffee is a hidden gem that beckons to those who appreciate quality brews and a cozy atmosphere. I think about the coffee here quite regularly, it’s my go to if I get a chance to be in that area. The person behind the counter with the curly hair is always friendly and smiley. In the summer it’s nice to sit outside and enjoy something from their tasty selection, which isn’t too big or small. My fav is the vegan sausage roll and lemon cake.

A favourite in the hood for so many reasons :) chai latte with fresh cardamon, awesome pastries, cool natural wines. Everything they do is creative and clevery excecuted. I am willingly getting thick because of these guys. If you get your hands on those savoury scones with a running eggyolk inside you’re a lucky person. Thir chocolate chip cookie is also out of this world.

I think they have the best coffee on Weserstraße which is why I’m willing to walk the 17 minutes from my flat. There are always solid pastry choices to pair with my flat white. Plus they have a nice selection of natural wines and tea / coffee brewing equipment to go.

Super friendly staff, really well made coffee and an amazing GF chocolate chip cookie with nuts and hints of nutmeg and cinnamon.. devoured it, crispy and chewy… everything is so well considered in this place!
Stephanie C — Google review
We used to enjoy the place a lot with my husband, good tea and coffee, friendly atmosphere, no laptops policy and people reading or chatting. But the service was a weak point all the time and today I had a really bad experience: I came to the place when my baby was sleeping in the stroller and couldn’t go inside. I asked for the blanket or a cushion to sit on but they don’t have any, so I took a wooden chair from inside but it was taken from me by the waitress because they “easily break”, I had to leave because (for me) it’s too cold to sit on the metal in this weather. That’s very sad how one person can totally change the perception of the place. And yes, I know that other people do stay outside but I think that sometimes it’s worth seeing the person and not “the rules”.

We went there on a Sunday afternoon and my, oh my was it bustling with other peeps. But for a mighty good reason: the baked goods in this cafe are delightful and unique. We tried the Egg-Muffin, Foccacia and a bite of the zucchini cornbread from my gluten-free friend. Yummy yummy in our tummies. There is not much more to say, than you have to try it! The sweet goodies looked also so fine, these are what we are aiming for on our next visit. 😊 1-star deduction because the style/ambient of the cafe reminded me of my middle school with the wooden desks and all. I prefer a more colourful flair 💐

Café Anna Blume is a charming Berlin brunch spot located on Kollwitzstrasse, just a short walk from the planetarium and the WOW Gallery. This café is not only a restaurant but also has connections to a florist, with a beautiful terrace filled with flourishing greenery. The shaded patio is an ideal place to spend an afternoon in leafy Prenzlauer Berg.
On a Saturday market day, Anna Blume is the perfect place to people watch and enjoy a break. The cakes - in the French style - are vibrant and varied, and the dirty chai latte was reasonable. It’s a great corner spot and worth waiting 15 mins for a table at peak times. Service is very polite and friendly and with the road pedestrianised for the market at the weekend it feels like a bit of an oasis

€14 for a soft-boiled egg on a slice of bread. Are you kidding me? The lentil soup is supposed to come with bread and butter, but they don’t bring the butter. I have to go and ask for it, and the waitress says, "But there’s no butter." I show her the menu, and she looks at it in surprise. To be fair, the food is good, but the service is incredibly slow (after 35 minutes of waiting to order the desserts, we decided to leave), and the prices are outrageous.

Amazing location, especially beautiful in the spring and summer cause it has a spacious terrace under the trees. We went there for an anniversary breakfast yesterday (Sonntag). I was there with my friends before COVID and remembered the good food and beautiful scenery and wanted to show the place to my husband. Unfortunately… the food was such a disaster. We ordered the breakfast platters and all of the food /tapas were terrible quality. I really think lidl and Netto has better stuff. The fruit wasn’t fresh (browned apples), the egg omlet dry and cold. All of the tapas and spreads didn’t seem fresh or home-made. The bread was Lidl/Netto quality. The jam was from a jar, the salads were from that the dried out , ready-to eat-bag style, that is already discounted in a grocery shop because of the end date… We spent 50 euros for 2 people and got bad quality and sad food. But I have to say: the service, the surroundings and the ambiance was amazing. Coffee was good. Also I love the design of the platter. It used to be such a treat…

Great service. Staff is really friendly :-) Great location Easy to park Prices are reasonable. The omelette was amazing. The cales were good. The cheese cake was like in NYC. My strong recommendations to anyone. They have a good selection of vegan dishes, but don't let that scare you. You can get a really wide selection of foods. Breakfast menu runs through the day ... which probably spells oodles about the many bars in the area. I will be back, for sure

Barcomi’s Café & Kaffeerösterei, located in a charming courtyard in Mitte, is a popular spot owned by Cynthia Barcomi, originally from Seattle. The café offers American-style coffee, freshly roasted on-site, along with an array of herbal teas. Indulge in their decadent breakfast options like bagels with lox and some of the city's finest cheesecake.
Beautiful cakes and cookies, and also bagels. More vegan options would be great, especially for the spreads, but also some of the classic cakes. Really friendly service. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded. Barcomi's was never cheap, which is ok for the quality... However, gentrification and tourists have influenced the prices over the past years, which are a bit over the top. Still, if you want to treat yourself to a fantastic cake, this is the best place.

We ordered chocolate brownie cake, but seems to be very hard and dry. Too little cream in the middle, dry cake and overall hard. This is the second instance with a dry cake with little filling. I ordered the cake with rainbow sprinkles, and unfortunately for both, the price is NOT WORTH IT. I give 2 stars because they don’t add Gelatine and is vegan.

I recently tried a red velvet cake & a vanilla cake and was thoroughly impressed. Both cakes were moist and had a perfect balance of all ingredients. The cream frosting was smooth and tangy, adding just the right amount of sweetness. Visually stunning with its deep red color, this cake was a delightful treat from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Special shoutout to Marcel, who was unbelievably helpful (even on his days off!) and kept everything running smoothly. Thanks to his effort and the shop’s kindness, the cake finally arrived — and it was absolutely worth the wait. Fresh, delicious, and beautifully made.

DoubleEye is a cozy coffee bar located in Schoneberg, a quieter neighborhood in western Berlin. Despite its unassuming appearance, this spot offers top-notch coffee crafted by Arno Schmeil, the world espresso-making champion of 2005 and 2006. The prices here are more budget-friendly compared to other parts of the city, making it an attractive option for coffee enthusiasts.
Damn, what a hidden gem in Schöneberg! This cafe really made a sophisticated commitment to master the art of coffee: The baristas know what they‘re doing and they provide an excellent service. One of the best coffees I’ve had in Berlin.

Double Eye Café is one of those rare places where the moment you step inside, you feel the character of the shop as much as the aroma of the coffee. The interior is cozy and quirky, filled with eclectic décor—from vintage coffee equipment to playful gnome figurines—that gives the space a warm, lived-in charm. It’s the kind of café where every shelf seems to have a story. The coffee itself is the star. Their selection of beans, all clearly presented on the wall with detailed tasting notes, shows how seriously they take their craft. Whether you’re into fruity Ethiopian espressos, rich Guatemalan filters, or decaf that still tastes like real coffee, there’s something for every palate. Each cup feels expertly dialed in—balanced, aromatic, and memorable. Despite how busy it can get, the atmosphere stays friendly. The staff work quickly but never make the place feel rushed, and there’s an easy flow at the “Pay & Pick Up” station. Even with a crowd, the shop maintains that small local café soul that Berliners love. If you appreciate high-quality specialty coffee served without pretension in a unique setting, Double Eye is absolutely worth a visit. A true Kreuzberg gem.

Nice service, and also nice patisserie’s. I tried Almond Croissant and Dulce de Leche , both of them amazing. There is lots of bees but they are friendly. In case of if u have allergies just be careful

Stopped by on a late afternoon and enjoyed their fantastic almond croissant, pear/apple pastry and carrot cake! Really loved the vibes, sitting under an umbrella while it's raining out. The staff's also incredibly friendly, definitely a place I'd come back to
Rowin — Google review
Utterly in love with this place and looked forward to coming back every morning, especially loved the sesame ham & cheese pastry, dulce de leche, and apple&pear chausson - buttery, flakey yet not too sweet. Some of the best I've ever had the pleasure of sinking my teeth in. I'll be reminiscing about these for years to come.

Much better sitting outside that inside, where it's a little depressing. Coffee is good. Quick service and polite but impersonal. Both sweet and savoury options. The carrot cake was too lemony for me but tasty. The coffee I must admit, really good.

I am very disappointed to be receiving for the third time one of my favourite products burnt on the bottom. I cannot believe that something so important is not noticed by bakers/sellers.

Wonderful day at Pau Linke Ufer, just get some pastry thousands of options and everything taste lovely got a good pastry, and a coffee and you have to find a place at the place or somewhere around! Very busy but very nice Service and fast delivery! Go enjoy the people enjoy the pastry enjoy your day thank you so much

really lovely vibe here! the canelè was ok but, the outside was thick and crunchy rather than crispy/chewy. The cookie was good, but it would have been very bland if not for the sea salt. would be so much better with brown butter!

Nah am Wasser is a charming coffee shop located at the intersection of Treptow, Neukolln, and Kreuzberg. The interior boasts a cozy brick design reminiscent of a flea market, creating a welcoming family atmosphere. The wooden counter offers an array of delectable pastries, cakes, and savory dishes for any time of day.
I absolutely loved their cakes (chocolate mousse cake, carrot cake, walnut caramel brownie and cheesecake). Delicious! 🔥 Cappuccino is also pretty good 👍🏻
Alina — Google review
I used to come here often, but the quality and portion sizes have declined noticeably over time. The music is often too loud, which makes it difficult to enjoy a conversation, read, or work. The tables are usually neglected, and the bathrooms frequently lack basic supplies like soap. It’s also surprising that a place with so much foot traffic still only accepts cash - we’re no longer in the 90s! Today, for example, I paid €4.50 for a €4.20 cake, and the waitress kept the change without asking. That really threw me off. The staff seems to change frequently and often looks overwhelmed, and apart from a couple of exceptions, they aren’t particularly friendly. All these reasons have made me visit less and less, and many of my neighbors say the same. With new places opening nearby that offer friendlier service and better upkeep, it’s easy to go elsewhere. I feel this café doesn’t put customers first; instead, it often seems like customers are expected to adapt to the staff’s preferences. I’m giving 2 stars because I think there’s still potential. I wouldn't get complacent.
Carlota S — Google review
Was here for a Birthday of a friend. Cakes good, they have many options. Also in drinks. Breakfast available. Ambiente Nice. Affordable. Next to the canal. Sitting areas also outside.
Selcan Ö — Google review
Nah am Wasser Café is in a great location by the water, making it a nice spot to relax and enjoy the view. The café offers a decent selection of drinks and snacks, but nothing particularly stands out. The coffee is average, not bad, but not exceptional either. Where café falls short is with the cooked dishes, which lack flavor and seem a bit underwhelming. If you’re looking for a full meal, you might be disappointed. In summary, Nah am Wasser is a good spot to relax by the water with a drink or snack, but don’t expect anything exceptional in terms of food or coffee.
Rim G — Google review
Nice place to have a cup of coffee with a cake next to the channel. Actually, first time I see true Napoleon and Honey cakes in german cafe 🩷
Екатерина Б — Google review
Really nice seating by the water (but very hard to catch a seat as it’s always quite full), tried a few different dishes, all quite mid, the cakes are nice but a bit too expensive in my opinion. I used to really like this place but lately they don’t give out tab water anymore and everything got more expensive, so it feels like they’re penny pinching. Still nice to sit outside for a coffee but not more than another gentrified breakfast spot
Wilmsfilms — Google review
Nah am Wasser is a cozy and spacious café with reliably good food. Their lunch option is a great deal — last time I had schnitzel with a side dish, all for about 10 euros. Their coffee, cakes and quiches are also very tasty. The outdoor seating right next to the canal, is a lovely spot for a coffee break. I sometimes come to cafés to work, and Nah am Wasser can work for that: it’s a big place with enough outlets, and although it does get a bit noisy, headphones take care of that. Unfortunately, the biggest drawback — and the reason I won’t return with my laptop — is the Wi-Fi. I visited twice, once in June and again a few weeks ago, and both times the Wi-Fi simply didn’t work. The first time it connected but barely loaded any websites, and the second time it wouldn’t connect at all despite having the correct password, so I had to use my hotspot. Some people still seem to work there with laptops, but for me, the unreliable internet is a dealbreaker. Still, if you’re going for food, coffee, and a pleasant atmosphere (and don’t need stable Wi-Fi), it’s a nice spot. Just note that they only accept cash.

Café Einstein Stammhaus is a chic Viennese-style coffeehouse located in a Neo-Renaissance villa in the tony Tiergarten neighborhood of Berlin. The elegant establishment, once a Weimar gambling den, is now renowned for its fresh pastries, cakes, and high-end Kaffee und Kuchen.
I had breakfast there two times in my 4 days stay in Berlin. The place has a traditional old time up market flairs. Leather boots, wooden small chairs and newspapers. Breakfast was great. We ordered the big set and shared. Coffee was great. My cappuccino came with latte art and not at all too milky, served with a small glass of water. What I like the most is their breads, quite a variety which are freshly baked in house downstairs. Service’s very professional, formal but reaches down to customers. I would reserve the table before I go next time. Price wise, not the cheapest but I think it’s definitely worth it.
Jah P — Google review
Super cool, building/house and the host was great. The servers are like a bit too European and attend to you when they are ready. Yeah they are busy on a Saturday afternoon but could at least acknowledge you when you have a need. Their colleagues don't acknowledge you if not their table and if luckily one stops they say, "Sorry you'll have to ask your server" and off they go. Strudel was tasty with but mixture and the Assam tea was quite nice
Carlos R — Google review
A good place for afternoon tea. The apple strudel is great and is recognized as the best in the cafe, but the other torte is disappointing. The peach cake is not special at all and not worthy.
Yuan F — Google review
Lunch is in the more formal "library" area while cakes and brunch is in the non table cloth brighter area. Nice selection of German food. Can be a bit pricey considering there are some good German restaurants around serving food that is just as delicious but I think it's still one of those places to be when you are a tourist. I didn't have any cakes but from what I did see, they're aren't better than most of the places that sell cakes in Berlin.
Ch W — Google review
Eggs Benedict was pretty good. The omlette rather mediocre. Service was slow. Sad to see this restaurant with so much character and charm being so poorly maintained. A renovation is past due. It has lost most of the beauty and charm it once radiated.
Steffonn C — Google review
Unexpectedly large space, can accommodate groups that came in for lunch. Back garden is lovely to sit in. On the expensive side but good service and a nice, quiet and relaxed atmosphere. It definitely feels European, and it’s easy to see why lots of tourists find their way here.
Leigh C — Google review
Had an excellent breakfast here in their lovely garden. There was a wide selection available on the menu, including a number of typical German dishes and the staff were friendly and efficient. The food and drink was very good and reasonably priced for the quality. Well worth a visit.

One of the mosr classy brunch and coffee options in the city I’d say. Feels like a time travel in way, but a good one. The breakfast is great to share and you can have long, cosy and very authentic West-Berlin times there. Important to mention though: comes with high than normal price tag, but worth it ;)

Five Elephant Kreuzberg is a renowned coffee shop and roastery in Berlin, celebrated for its exceptional cheesecake and top-notch espresso roasts. The original location in Kreuzberg is the go-to spot for their famous New York-style cheesecake, featuring a perfect balance of sweet cream cheese and salty graham-cracker crust. The establishment's commitment to sustainable partnerships with suppliers ensures that they offer fair-trade and eco-friendly coffee beans.
Absolutely perfect neighborhood coffee shop. Completely out of the way so there are no tourists here pretty much. The shop looks like someone’s apartment and the design is very quaint and welcoming. There is a nice selection of new wave freshly roasted coffee so an espresso is not my preference but filter / v60 are wonderful as well as cappuccino and flat white. The cheesecake is very very good, I do recommend it.

If we were to philosophize about coffee in football terms, I‘d say Five Elephant might not win the Champions League of Coffee, but they are a team you can count on. Their playing style may not be the most spectacular, yet decent and reliable. You can‘t do anything wrong by watching them on a Sunday afternoon.

Good coffee, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. I came all the way from İstanbul and visited Five Elephant on my first day in Berlin. I had latte with oat milk, croissant and a tarte. They were all delicious. I also bought some "Biftu Gudina" beans to try brewing at home. Thank you Five Elephant 🥰🥧☕️

Cute small cafe with some excellent espresso and sweet and savoury baked goods. Leafy sidewalk seating. Cozy nooks inside. Great for a chat with friends or reading a book. Cheesecake was great as was the kimchi toast. One of the few places with espresso tonic on the menu. Dog-friendly.

Wide selection of coffee serving styles and really tasty speciality coffee. Very good quality of cheescake and pastries. Everything seems to be a but pricey, but quality is assured. They also offer their speciality coffee beans to go. There's plenty of space outside and inside, but it's not a large place.
J — Google review
Excellent coffee shop! I came 20 mins before closing - they took order without any problem. Filter coffee was wonderful, with as much sourness as I like. With no additional price they gave me a little pitcher of side milk (my preference with filters). Got even treated with banana bread because they were closing. It’s very good, moist, soft and not too sweet, with seeds inside. Saved it for visiting time to time. Second visit: tried Ethiopia filter - perfectly balanced. Cheesecake is great, consistency is sublime.

KASCHK by BRLO is a trendy bar located in Mitte, Berlin, offering an industrial-chic ambiance with outdoor seating. During the day, it operates as a coffee shop serving Nordic-inspired coffee and pastries. At night, it transforms into a bustling bar where patrons can enjoy an array of Scandinavian beers until late. The establishment's clean Scandinavian style complements its offerings of third-wave coffee and local/international craft beers.
KASCHK is hands down one of the coziest and friendliest neighborhood bars I’ve ever been to. Thank god I live next door. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with warm lighting, inviting wooden interiors, and a vibe that makes you feel right at home. The beer selection here is incredible! Whether you’re a craft beer connoisseur or just looking to try something new, there’s always something exciting on tap. Josh, our great bartender, knows his beer inside out and can recommend the perfect one based on your taste. His friendly and approachable attitude adds an extra layer of charm to the whole experience. By the way they also have a great red wine, you would not expect in a beer bar. If you’re looking for a spot to relax, catch up with friends, or explore a world of beer flavors, KASCHK is the place to be. Highly recommended! Oh, they have Shuffle Board in the basement too! 🤯🤩

This is a busy place located right at Rosa-Luxemburg-Square. It is a (day)bar and you can have different kinds of beer and drinks. Selfservice. Since the location is next to a busy street it is quite noisy. More a place to go with your friends or after work rather than for a date.
Bobby S — Google review
The beers are good here. Even wasps appreciate them (see the video)! The outside seating is facing a busy street, but there is plenty of space inside too.

Looovely place to have a lecker bierchen! They have a vast amount of different tap beers to choose from. Pale Ale, German IPA, Helles, Dunkelbier, even ciders and other cocktails. Sitting places can be limited during the weekend but the atmosphere was pretty nice! I would love to come back any time soon.
Nikita N — Google review
Quirky small cafe bar. Food consists of snacks ie nuts, small selection of baked goods and jerky. Reasonable selection of beers (some brewed by the premises) and invited beers, tea and coffee. What makes this shop stand out is the decor which is industrial recovered materials and downstairs there are two shuffleboard lanes. Worth a visit with a mate or gang of mates.

Great little pub on the corner with lots of good beer options on tap. Drinks are reasonably priced and they have a weekday happy hour 5-6pm.

Hip / grunge type of coffee place and rates as such. Not the place is you want a luxury or high-end atmosphere. I enjoy a lower key kind of place with great coffee and a good food selection- and this place has got it, with no pretensions.
Kim D — Google review
Hey so… I love the people working here. Nice conversations and good service. The coffee is okay-ish (but just just for MY taste). Also would love to have more diversity in beans. Every time I came it felt like the same bean with a very unique taste. Or if there would an option to choose between beans. But the main reason I reduced the stars is interior. I’m not sure I can correctly describe it by words, but it feels like the place needs renovation. It feels kind of dirty and used. The place is white so you can see everything that is dirty or kind of old. I do realise it requires a lot of resources. I don’t like the furniture, these white tables and chairs. To sum it up: it just gave me a vibe of not well taken care of place.
Robby P — Google review
Great cafe with some fun and cozy indoor seating options. Food was quite nice, servers seemed happy to be there.
Hamza U — Google review
Bircher muesli tasted like cheesecake and I was kind of into it. It also had lemon rind in it, which was a bit of a surprise. My coffee was made well but I didn’t like the beans they used. There are two options available- one that is described as bright, juicy and floral, and another that is described as dark chocolate. I wish they had asked me for my preference when I was ordering. I didn’t realise there were different options until I had already started drinking my coffee. If given the choice, I would have chosen the dark chocolatey beans. I didn’t love the vibes in there. Felt a bit soulless. Overall, I thought this cafe was fine but I wouldn’t rush back.

Friendly dudes behind the counter, berlinesque vibes, fantastic coffee (some more vegan food options would be nice)

This cafe is a chill atmosphere to rest at/plan the day or do work at. The cheesecake is DELICIOUS! The red fruit cake is pretty good but not as good as the cheesecake. In fact I was told the red topping on the cheesecake is better than the red on the red fruit cake. The chai latte taste like a chai latte, there’s nothing special about it but it’s still good: the cappuccino with oat milk is very good. The orange juice is delicious, has a nice foamy top. The croissant is okay but not impressive The vibes and atmosphere is great BUT you cannot talk or interact with the dog which is very difficult for people who love dogs. Overall it’s chill, good place to work/start the day or get your daily amount of caffeine to replenish the vitamins you lost the night before. The flat white was okay
Joe J — Google review

Now I need a coffee maker 😅 Tried butter croissant and pan au chocolate and they were both the perfect combo with coffee. Sat at the high table for a few hours to get some work done. Used to love this place, it seemed to have a spark. However, seems like a lot has changed and not for the better. Food quality has gone down, and coffee was alright. Did the owner change or something?? Seems like all food was of lower quality, as if I was in a normal Bäckerei. We had the mozzarella sandwich which was dry and had 3 mozzarella slices, 3 tomato slices, 1 leaf of lettuce and touch of pesto on one side of the bun and that for 5.5€. You can get a better one from any basic Bäckerei around town. Also, they warmed it up too long so top of bun was burnt (forgot to take a pic...). Then we also shared a mozzarella quiche, which was average, flavour edible, parchment paper got stuck to the bottom so was somehow also difficult to cut it. They also transformed the top floor into an open kitchen which since they now serve brunches for over 10€, like around 15€ mark. Kitchen makes the place smell strongly. All in all - not a great experience. What happened to the High-End coffee?? For coffee I got the bonanza blend, also very average tasting coffee. I will not go back unfortunately, not for this quality reduction, especially not for those prices.

I had a mixed experience here. I was looking for a place to work with my laptop; I ensured there were no signs prohibiting laptop use (nor were any on the website). When I completed my purchase and opened my laptop, I was approached by a person who said it was not allowed. There is nothing wrong with not allowing laptops, but I feel it should be communicated more clearly, especially since many people use coffee places to work from, and it is a general expectation that one can work on a laptop. Otherwise, pastry and coffee were quite good. P.s. according to the staff, the sign on the photo (the white square) is supposed to tell me that laptops are not allowed.

Let me say that I love the Kreuzberg original location of the Visit. The roasters and environment there. However, the other branches never seem to be able to hold the comparison. Yesterday my husband and I were walking around Schöneberg and looking for a place to sit and work, so of course I thought of the Visit. When we got there it was quite empty, technically perfect to use it as a work place. We noticed the stickers on all of the tables in the main area/window that says “no laptops allowed” and only the back of the room was free for laptop users. As it is quite hot and the place wasn’t full, I don’t understand why we had to sit all the way to the back to leave all the space empty, but rules are rules I guess. Then I go to order and see it’s a cash only place (this is not the case for other branches). When the coffee arrived (note: I always only order an americano), it definitely did not taste like the usual Visit blend. I often purchase beans so I am very familiar with the taste. The service was quite fast and normal. We didn’t eat. The wifi password was written at the counter but we couldn’t find any wifi so had to connect to another free one in the area- which only worked on 1 laptop, resulting in us having to use our phone data. All in all I can’t say we had a pleasant experience because all I saw were restrictions and we didn’t feel the same atmosphere as the Kreuzberg branch, that we know and love. I don’t know what’s been happening with these franchises but the brand identity is getting lost.
Effy C — Google review
Very nice Ambiente, food looks incredible and also tastes decent The cortado was quite small, the juice however a very nice amount, even though the prices were quite high
Heidi B — Google review
An espresso crafted by a skilled roaster always contains a touch of acidity. However, the one I had tasted as if half a lemon had been squeezed into it — overwhelmingly sour. Clearly noticeable sourness in espresso is a flaw. The atmosphere was pleasant and the croissants were fresh. Looking forward to meeting again over a better espresso experience.

Such a Berlin experience. We loved our stay. Had room 419 but also took a sneak peak into the Hideout room next to ours that was just as awesome and even had a sauna inside! Breakfast was crazy delicious and the lobby was so chilled and with the nicest vibe that you sensed it was just as full of locals enjoying it as us guests staying there. We missed the yoga and cinema experience but I am sure we will be back and indulge in that too next time.

I stayed here for two nights on a business trip and had a very positive experience. The location is excellent, the staff were welcoming and friendly, and the check-in process was quick and easy. The rooms are on the smaller side, and while the double bed might feel a bit tight for two people, it was comfortable for a solo stay. The bathroom design is a little unusual, with a window looking directly into the room, which may not suit everyone. One of the highlights was the restaurant. I had dinner there one evening, and it was absolutely outstanding — beautifully prepared dishes, full of flavour and quality. Honestly, I would return to the restaurant even if I weren’t staying at the hotel.

Loved the Micheberger shower gel, moisturiser etc and purchased some bottles along with the spirited away fragrance. Our recent stay at the Michelberger Hotel was phenomenal and exceeded expectations. We booked the Hideout room, and the private sauna amenity was an absolute game-changer—a luxury that made our trip feel uniquely special and incredibly relaxing after long days out. The location is second to none. Being right next to public transit made navigating the city effortless, and the easy access to Berghain was a major bonus for us! Everything we wanted to see and do felt within easy reach. Beyond the facilities, the staff were exceedingly friendly and genuinely helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The daily tending to the room was impeccable and kept our space fresh and clean. Finally, we absolutely loved the communal spaces. The coffee bar and hotel bar were both fantastic—incredibly "vibey" spots that served as perfect locations for co-working during the evening and unwinding with great drinks in the evening. If you’re looking for character, comfort, and an unbeatable atmosphere in Berlin, book the Michelberger. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute!

I was happy with my stay overall but I was able to get a discount on my room. Without the discount, I would say this hotel was not worth the price. The rooms are lovely although the bathroom was very tiny. I loved the little working area / cafe in the lobby. But the main issue is that this hotel has no air conditioning and it's very noisy on the street outside making it difficult to sleep with the window open. If they installed air conditioning I would definitely bump it up a star.

There is a reason why almost every website that posts "Best Hotels in Berlin" has Michelberger Hotel on their list...it is awesome (and very cool)! My daughter and I stayed here for two nights. It was our first time in Berlin, and our decision to stay here was absolutely spot on. The location is great. The vibe is even better. The lounge and outdoor space is very cool. The staff are friendly and helpful. Totally recommend and will stay here again!

The best base to explore the last cool city on earth. The loft bed setup in Michelberger made the room feel like a treehouse. We took 2 rooms for a family of 4, but 3 could fit comfortably if you are planning on being out of the room by day. Climbing up into the king bed every night felt like a repeat moment of “okay, I can live like this.” Beds and pillows were excellent. The vibe - from the morning to the middle of the night - is unmatched. It's like an ecosystem. So get used to eating the best brunch there every morning and strolling around by foot between two of the best neighborhoods in Berlin. Walk through the lobby at night and stay for a drink with the drop-in crowd.
Karin K — Google review
This place was discovery of this trip to Berlin and exceeded my expectations. I just needed a place where to overnight close to Uber Arena, but got so much more. All the vibe and interior is unique. This time I didn't get a chance to participate in events organised by hotel. However I liked the idea itself that the hotel offers so much more than overnight opportunities and every time I went through the lobby/bar enjoyed the energy there.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Kreuzberg, 19grams Schlesi is a delightful coffee roastery that embodies Berlin's dynamic coffee culture. This charming spot takes pride in its meticulously sourced high-quality beans, roasted at elevated temperatures to achieve a rich flavor profile with reduced acidity and enhanced cherry notes. While the café may be cozy, it offers an inviting atmosphere with both regular and high-top tables where you can savor your drink alongside a tasty snack.
Rating the coffee here. And it's definitely worth a drop by. For those visiting from out of town, this is the best coffee in the area and a close walk from the East Side Gallery. Definitely recommend the coffee. Great taste and texture. They sell a nice assortment of roasted beans. Friendly staff here as well.

Long black: They don't offer a choice of coffee beans and their standard beans are too high in acidity for me. If your like sour coffee, great, it's for you, if you prefer more silky low-acidity coffee this place is not for you.

Cool products for cheap prices. Also the staff was very cool and kind with us. So friendly I would say. The place is very cozy and they have a special area where you can work on your laptop which is very nice. I clearly recommend you to try their coffee. I one word GREAT!!!

Loved this place! Super friendly staff, great coffee (I'm very picky!!) and amazing food! If I lived in Berlin, this is where I would get my daily dose of caffeine!

Nice coffee shop with great coffee, nice interiors and the best croissants of Berlin, from La Maison! The only downside in my opinion is that they don't let you use laptops/work in there, but besides that, i liked my coffee and croissant there!

The place is nice, plenty of options to seat inside and outside. Coffee is good. The staff is friendly and very helpful, they helped me to pick the best lunch option I could have wished today. So, about lunch - if you happen to be here during lunch time, order sardines on a toast and you won't regret it a second. The perfect combination of products will make your taste buds go crazy. You literally have fireworks in your mouth while chewing. It is 10/10, and served very quickly.

Their milk coffee is another level. You should give it a try. Croissant was so crispy and on point taste. Interior design is so cozy, chill. You can sit and study here or work but I didn't see plug. It is a niche , nice coffee place that you need to see.

Flat white is amazing, service as well. i spilled my coffee accidentally and the barista made me a new one right away no questions asked. i didn't expect this and it was a very lovely gesture! Will be coming back :)

Excellent choice and quality for coffee both alternative and classic! Fair prices. Contemporary but cozy interior, outside table for couple of people. Also had carrot cake, it's good.

Kaffekirsche is such a lovely spot! They make really tasty pastries and great coffee. I always go for the brioche, which is perfectly crispy and so delicious. Highly recommend them! The staff is always very friendly, and the location has a great vibe with some tables outside to enjoy the sun and a cozy, plant-filled atmosphere inside.
Marta Z — Google review
Reliably good coffee, good service. Gotta say though this location has to have the worst seating of any cafe in this city, and thats really saying something. Apparently the designers of these presumably custom seating elements, nor the owner or interior designer of this establishment, have ever tried a chair before. If they were designed to provide an anti-ergonomic, antagonistic seating experience to encourage patrons to leave as soon as they’ve had their coffee, congratulations you nailed it. Plus they don’t even look good. I have never even made it to the last sip before getting to flustered and back-achey to drink the final drop. I’m not enough of an aficionado to claim this coffee is better or worse than bonanza, but I pretty much always default to bonanza bc they have better seating. Modernism gave us the gift stylish, lite, comfortable seating, there are more than enough options. Pick a chair, any chair.

Came here for v60 coffee took Ethiopia, it was 3.8 out of 5. Will I come back? I hardly liked the taste of coffee very much, to be honest. But maybe I was so lucky. There is a lot of space where you can open your laptop. But no Wi-Fi 😳

Great coffee, cool atmosphere and amazing cheesecakes. I went here a few times during my visit and tried different kinds of cheesecake. I liked the classic one the most. The slice costs 4.10 Euro. Very fair price. The other pastries look great as well. Great mix of people. Well, it‘s in Kreuzberg and resembles the vibe of the area.

Cafe
Located at Rosa-Luxemburg-Strasse 19, 10178 Berlin, Coffee Circle Rosa-Luxemburg offers a casual and contemporary setting with a terrace. It's the perfect spot to enjoy freshly brewed coffee and sweet treats while working, meeting friends, or simply relaxing. The cafe provides various ways to enjoy their Coffee Circle roasts prepared by their baristas. Additionally, it offers a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff who speak both English and Deutsch.
Coffee Circle is a great spot for coffee lovers in Berlin. They offer a variety of high-quality coffee drinks, from classic espresso to creative specialty drinks. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting
Mila D — Google review
Yet another beautiful Coffee Circle cafe. There's ample indoor seating and dedicated tables for coworking. The interior is nice and quiet and of course, has a good internet connection. Always love the coffee here. It was a bummer that they ran out of croissants as early as 10 am.
Darshan G — Google review
I visited twice and tried a few things. It wasn't bad but it wasn't show stopping either. The interior is spacious and allows laptops. Service was quick and efficient, after serving you they left you to it. Batch brew coffee and cakes were good, flat white was mediocre.. I could find much better / more interesting espresso based drinks elsewhere.
Mitch — Google review
We discovered Coffee Circle via the European Coffee Trip app, and I’m so glad we stopped by. The staff was fun, the vibe of the shop was inviting, and the black coffee was worth the trip. Only wish they offered a hand brew/pour-over option.
Zack D — Google review
Nice place with the best espresso I've had in Berlin. I also got a hot chocolate to take away, and it was perfect, not just cocoa, but real chocolate with a well-balanced flavor. The service was a bit mediocre but overall fine. I would recommend it to anyone who appreciates high-quality coffee.
Tatiana B — Google review
I like this cafe a lot, as it’s one of the closest to my home, the atmosphere is very warm, I can also work from there 🥰 Most of the time the coffee is perfect, but sometimes they hire new baristas and it could be worse, hot milk or more milk as it shouldn’t be.

I have been several times to this coffee place and had a really good filter coffee. However, I was really disappointed with the cold brew. It didn’t taste good at all, more like water than coffee. The portion was tiny and definitely not worth the €4.50 price tag.

Great coffee and atmosphere, I wish they did food too. COFFEE: 1 size, 2 prices: : house blend (very nice) or the more expensive specialty blend. ATMOSPHERE: Choose your cosy corner. Entrance level and chat with the barista (my fav is Pablo from Tenerife), mezzanine level or lower ground. All have great light as they face an inner courtyard
Germaine D — Google review
The flat white was very disappointing - weak, too milky and very little flavor from the beans despite picking their dark roast. At 5,20 Euros for a coffee there is no room for error! One would expect top beans, top machines and barristas that know what they are doing.
Florian B — Google review
The coffee and the San Sebastian cheesecake were quite delicious. The café was in a quiet street with a cozy interior. The only downside was the barista. A warmer, friendlier welcome would have made the experience even better.

Very nice place but without wifi and downstairs you don't have a signal even for data. I find it inconceivable in 2025, where everything operate with internet, to have a cafe without it. If the situation changes, I will gladly delete the comment. I nevertheless give it 3 stars for the good coffee and polite service.

I stumbled upon Cafelix Coffee Roasters by chance, and I’m so glad I did! The baristas are extremely friendly and professional, and they provide excellent recommendations on which beans to choose. I went for the fruity (they called it experimental beans) and the V60 filter coffee was amazing. Ask the barista for recommendations and not drink the standard beans :) Unfortunately, they don't have oat milk (only pea milk, which I don't like), but they kindly let me try it. If I had one wish, it would be for oat milk! The relaxed atmosphere is created by good, non-intrusive music and the fact that it's laptop-friendly.

I came here two or three times during summer of 2024 out of coincidence. There's a laundromat nearby and I decided to grab coffee here to wait while reading a book. The layout of the place makes it possible to people watch so there's an added ambiance of chill. I was very impressed with the coffee because it's very often I get let down by mild tasting coffee that claims to be strong with double shot. I have high caffeine tolerance, coming from Indonesia, so I look for coffee with high acidity that just packs a punch straight away. This place has it in both black and milk-added coffee. I've come to recommend it to my friends and other fellow Indonesians who may be stopping for Berlin during the BMW Berlin Marathon. You won't be disappointed, plus they're open on Sundays!

You may say that this is just one of the cool coffee places in Kreuzberg, you'll be both right and wrong at the same time. Yes, there are many nice ones in the area. However, people who work there and come there make all the difference. The difference is in smaller things, which you can't define on the go, those are nano things, you need to be attentive and willing to notice them. For me, it was the sun shine reflecting in the wide windows of the coffee shop, the little crumbs of my blodie that fell down and brought much more joy to my dog than the whole piece of it to me. And the coffee, it is not a small thing, that's a huge deal, a tasty cup that is worth crossing half of the city

First time at The Barn, been looking forward to try the coffee for many years as they are only in Berlin. Ambiance was good, minimal decoration with zen like music. However, v60 coffee was way out of expectation, flat in flavor, no aroma nor aftertaste. Stollen was great, compliments coffee well.

The Barn has a good reputation as a roastery but I was quite disappointed by the work of the barista on my oat flat white. You’ll see that the milk wasn’t textured well. The coffee itself was middling and the barista didn’t know what I meant when I asked if I could choose the beans.

In addition to the irresistible pastries, Zeit für Brot takes pride in its artisanal bread and also serves sandwiches, smoothies, and coffee.
Absolutely loved this place! I had the hummus sandwich which was fresh, flavourful, and seriously delicious. But the real star was the cinnamon bun, which was honestly mind-blowing. Soft, moist, perfectly spiced, truly everything you could want in a bun. Despite a queue stretching out the door when we arrived, the staff were lovely, helpful, and still smiling under pressure. It made the whole experience even better.

Whether you're craving a hearty breakfast or a leisurely brunch, this café has you covered. Indulge in their signature Krone Granola or opt for the comforting porridge with seasonal toppings.
Still one of the best brunch places for me. The Krone Sandwich is a definite highlight. I also had the Blueberry Hill pancakes that were very tasty in the combination with the berries and sauce. The pancakes themselves were fine but seemed a little dense/dry to me. Prices are round about the usual brunch prices (so not cheap) but the portion size is good. One of the best Brunch place in Berlin, it is a bit more far out but the area is super nice and hipster. Great service and nice staffs. - Cacio e Pepe is surprisingly my favorite, it has truffle salsa with strong taste and very crunchy fresh Ciabatta, perfect combination! - Smashed croissant is very satisfying and tastes fresh due to loads of Rucola on top - Pancake is alright but not the best, it’s getting cold relatively fast and tastes dry - Strawberry Matcha is tasty but too heavy due to the Sahne on top, and it takes away the Matcha tastes. Overall great positive experience!

Great little place. Used to be a vibrant hub of this part of the ‘hood, but sadly in the last couple of years has short opening hours. Good for a lazy late breakfast on weekdays or a leisurely lunch.

Amazing choice of delicious different food options, nice location by the water and lovingly decorated with lots of plants. Lovely staff

We had a lovely brunch at A.Horn! There are several cool food options and it tasted great. The interior design is very cute and cosy. I liked the fact that you order your food and pay for it immediately. Of course, if you go during peak time, you’ll have to wait in the queue for a while and wait for your food to be ready, but the cosy atmosphere made up for it. The weather was beautiful and we walked along the water afterwards.

the atmosphere is super nice, especially the outside seating next to the river. A bit pricey for the portions but the taste is great. Do wish that they would mention all ingredients in the dishes (like with granola - not the biggest fan of raisins but it’s not mentioned on menu) but otherwise good quality service

We had Pastrami Bagel and Pulled Chicken. Service was quite slow. Took around 20 minutes to just get two sandwiches. I had higher expectations with Pastrami Sandwich and expected something like New York deli food. However, pastrami was nothing but from a regular grocery. Very thin cut. Bagel flavor was so strong I barely got the taste of Pastrami Anyway, pulled chicken was around 12€ and for that quality and service I would say it was overpriced l

We were looking for a cafe on this street to have some breakfast and came across this place. They had amazing coffee and croissant was also great. They had very nice almond croissant, stuffed with almond and orange cream. They forgot to deliver our coffee but it happens, not a problem. The atmosphere was great as well, I would definitely recommend this place to you.

Good ambience. Great food and coffee. I was looking forward to their eggs Benedicts but their kitchen is currently inoperational but they still serve great pastries and sandwiches. I highly recommend this place for breakfast. They also have free wifi. I had a butter Crisis ang and latte while the lil kiddo had ciabatta melt and freshly squeezed orange juice. They are also selling coffee beans. Only accepting Card payments.and There’s only one running the café but she’s very efficient and delivered great Service.

It was a normal experience :) cannot say anything bad nor anything remarkable. The coffee was good, but for my picky taste it’s just not my type of brewing it. The guy who served me my order was nice and easy to interact, funny as well 😝 Overall - it’s a nice place to get a coffee Just not my perfect match and that’s okay

There are different types of beans you can choose. Coffee ☕is good, "almond croissant" 🥐 has a lot of filling and was fresh. Upd.: Sorry, I updated review, but forgot aboug stars. Of course, now ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟

The cafe is cozy and quiet. Food option is limited and there are some bakeries. The food taste is ok but nothing special.

Just an unspectacular café. It’s located right on a big street and outside sitting area is uncomfortable. I had a roasted Aubergine and Sweetpotatoe panini and it was not that good. The coffee is really good and you can choose some vegan options. The service personal wasn’t friendly.

Nice little spot with good coffee ☕ and vibe. Coffee is 10/10 Didn't try the food other than the croissant 🥐 which was decent, will come back for food and more coffee 🔜

This is a gem in Berlin’s vibrant coffee scene. The coffee here is nothing short of exceptional. They are so particular in making a great coffee, prioritizing quality over quantity. Beyond the stellar coffee, this place is a great for getting work done. Lots of separate space upstairs with lots of plugs everywhere. The Wi-Fi is reliable, and the staff is not intrusive, creating an ideal environment for productivity.

Neumanns Café, located in Friedrichshain near Boxhagener Platz, offers a modern twist on traditional German dishes in a rustic-chic setting. The interior exudes minimalist retro charm and reflects the honest ingredients used in their beautifully presented dishes. The menu features artisan bread baked in-house, which plays a role in every dish.
i had the "neumann's"... All the ingredients really complemented the overall taste, which was REALLY APPRECIATING. you have sweetness of caramelized onions, lesser sweet but fresh taste of fennels, oranges that gave a gest! Ziegenkäse's savoriness. Overall it was balanced. & perfect! Even the bread was accurate! Not spongy but easier to divide/cut. I went for the flat white honestly; that was good. The only downside in my experience today was the carrot cake, I cannot say I am a fan of it. Still, no complains. Went there after 11:15 and it was already busy. So one must plan accordingly. Loved that some tables were laptop-friendly, so one can sit and work as well.

Good cafe. We come here during the week relatively regularly. No idea what it's like on the weekend. Everything I've eaten here has been good to great. Combos only for the famished. Cakes and pastries very tasty. Bread from the bakery is very good. Pberg lite crowd, often accompanied by mandatory MacBook.

Breakfast was super tasty and just what I wanted — simple and perfect. We sat by the window, enjoyed the chill atmosphere, had a great chat, and the service was really nice. Loved it!

The cafe is on a very quiet street and the interior is very cosy and warm. They do not prefer that you use your laptop in the front section but there is a special area in the back where you can use your laptop if you really need to work. The cappuccino was very good, the baristas are very talented. The service was simply professional and friendly. Will visit again when i’m in the neighborhood

Had a cappuccino and a custard cream brioche. The service was slow due to the crowd on weekends. The coffee is always good here. You can find pistachio croissant too. Right next to the cafe, there is a bakery with the same brand name.
Zuleykha S — Google review
This cafe is nestled in a pleasant neighbourhood, surrounded by various F&B options. We visited for an afternoon coffee, and the milk coffee was strong with beautiful latte art. However, we found the lemon tart to be quite average, as it was too sweet for our taste.

Since the café is now open in the evenings three times a week (Thursday to Saturday), I had to go try their wines and the cheese & charcuterie plate — and it was just as delicious as expected! I ordered the plate for one person (sehr klein) and was really happy with it. The service was excellent, and the wine selection spot on. Highly recommend!

Katie's Blue Cat is a charming cafe-bakery located in Berlin, offering a delightful selection of homemade pastries, cakes, coffee, and savory snacks. The owners, hailing from Canada and Vietnam, have curated a menu featuring fudgy brownies, chewy chocolate chip cookies, carrot cake, whoopie pies, bagels, BLTs and more.
It was quite good. The decaf cappuccino (3.5€) was tender and soft. The chocolate cake(5€) was good enough. ✅️ English ✅️ Card payment (no amex)

Average. Cookie was too thin, just plain sweet taste, not great chocolate notes. Other pastry was also average, though jam was subtle and tasty. Résumé: Name is bigger than quality.

Cute cafe with nice atmosphere but the cinammon roll was super dry and actually the worst I had-why? I think it was fresh because it was a busy Sunday afternoon but it’s just the way they do it. Schade
Katarzyna L — Google review
Golden Latte was ok. The baked goods (I had an Ansak cookie) were superb though. Cute location. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the service. But when we were there, sometime about 4 in the afternoon on a long weekend, the two baristas/servers were totally ran ragged. There must've been about 40 customers. I can see why the service is slow but yeah, they were really doing the best they can. Perhaps the cafe can consider getting someone extra for the busy periods. Plenty of lactose free and vegan options.

Cozy and lovely place. I had a delicious BLT sandwich and my sister got a big glass of musli & yogurt. We also had a glass of apple juice and iced black coffee. It was a nice brunch. Desserts also looked so delicious. Plus, nice location with other lovely stores.

The receipt is simple: great coffee, yummy bakeries and a super cost place. I live near by and this is one of my favorite cafes in the area, is usually pack but you find a spot within the time you order usually. Special recommendations are the carrot cake and the peanut-chocolate cackle. But they have lot of super tasty stuff so is hard to decide what to go for. They also serve sandwiches and granolas.

Annelies is a popular daytime diner in Kreuzberg, Berlin, known for its creative breakfast and lunch options as well as mimosas and homemade pastries. The cafe has gained a loyal following among locals and expats alike for its excellent brews and wide selection of natural wines. One of its most famous dishes is the buttermilk pancakes with granola, maple berry syrup, and cultured cream.
Great breakfast! Go for the granola and stay for every other dish! Seriously - the lime and raspberry granola was outstanding. And my partner got an asparagus dish for breakfast that was really unique and tasty as well. Fast service and we got there early so there wasn’t any wait. When we left it was busier (11a or so)

Went on a Wednesday early afternoon and didn't need to wait for a table. We got the latte, iced tea, pancakes, and egg, sausage and cheese muffin. Everything was very delicious. The sausage was perfectly spiced and meaty, and the bread was fluffy. Best pancakes ever!
Kyra L — Google review
Annelies makes probably the dreamiest pancakes in the world, and they taste just as good as they look! just make sure to share or it can get a bit overwhelming. the sausage, egg & cheese sandwich was also super tasty and indulgent, though a little on the sweet side with the pancake buns. chill vibes, decent flat white, and I’ll definitely be back, mainly for those incredible pancakes! 🥞
Palaisdeyiyi — Google review
This café is a popular choice when searching for cafés in Berlin, especially for its famous 4-stack pancake. We visited on Wednesday morning before it opened, so we managed to get a table quickly. The atmosphere is inviting, and the service is okay. We tried the famous buttermilk pancake, and it was delicious. It’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, almost like Korean hotteok. The cinnamon bun was average, with a doughy texture but overly sugary. The coffee was strong and good. If you’re a pancake enthusiast, it is definitely worth checking out the pancake. But if there is a long queue, I would probably go for an alternative.
Y T — Google review
the food at annelies is very aesthetically pleasing and literally works of art, and it’s a quality place for interesting twists on classic breakfast/brunch food, but i will say it’s a bit pricey for the amount you get. the buttermilk pancakes were stacked high and each one was thick and soft and a bit warm. i absolutely LOVED the combination of cold, fresh cultured cream — which had a smooth, bright dairy flavour — and the thick slice of rich, velvety butter. the slightly sour yet sweet berry compote and the earthy nuttiness of the crunchy granola also added a fantastic touch. the syrup was sweet and sticky, but quite normal. the sausage breakfast sandwich is very .. american tasting??? the egg was super soft, and the pancake was a nice touch because it added a bit of sweetness, but i think the savouriness of the (very thick and juicy!!!!) sausage and the large slice of american cheese made it a little bit too salty. the spicy mayo was sharper in flavour and a bit tangy, but it was also quite salty. it was also quite difficult to eat because of how high it was stacked. i really enjoyed the scrambled egg on toast though — the egg was super silky and the sourdough was crispy on the outside yet super soft on the inside ?!?!? the tangy red sauce on the side was also quite the unique pairing and i liked the little kick it provided.
Katelynn C — Google review
The pancake was great! But the service ruined everything. The person who gave us a table he was great. But We sat down for like 15 mins, no one came to get our order. The one waitress who walked by us several times, served table around us, but couldn’t bother to give us some eye contact or to come and take our order. The people who came in later than us, sat down later than us, got their order taken first, some table got even coffee served already… I am not sure, if this girl had any issues with us?! I mean.. we didn’t interact with her at all, so there shouldn’t be any beef between us? But then .. why?! I had to grab another waitress just to order… Also I heard that they offer a bottle of tap water for free, as we walked in, I did see all the tables have a bottle of water, so I thought okay they do offer that. But of course, for whatever the reason, we did not get that either. Finally this one waitress started to bring our coffee to the table, she came with coffee in her hand and a very weird look on her face. Usually I am not a sensitive person but I started to think she just hates Asians. So in the end they brought the bill and mentioned about tips, I chose “no tips” on the machine because i mean.. NO.

Wow. Now I understand why this cafe is so famous in the neighborhood! I found this place on timeout before visiting Berlin, and it was really the highlight of the trip 😂We are lucky to be there early as there was already a queue before the place is open. Of course, I came here for their well known pancakes. The pancakes were unlike anything I’ve had before — super fluffy, light, and absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality and care in how they’re made. Coffee is also good I ordered an extra matcha latte to try and it was really good too! Definitely worth the hype and a must-visit if you are in Berlin and love pancakes!

Cafe
Jubel, located at Hufelandstrasse 10 in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, is a delightful patisserie run by Kai Michels and Lucie Friedrichs. Their creations are known for skillfully combining various textures and unexpected flavors to create a magnificent overall experience. The delicate tartlets, cupcakes, and tarts they offer not only look exquisite but also taste exceptional. In addition to their delectable pastries, Jubel also serves excellent coffee.
Jubel Coffee ☕ in Berlin is a hidden gem that my friends and I stumbled upon without a plan, and we’re so glad we did! The café is small but incredibly cozy, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The owner is absolutely lovely—so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Even though the space is limited, she went out of her way to help us find a seat, making us feel right at home. The pastries on display looked amazing, and the one I tried was absolutely delicious. You can tell they put a lot of care into their offerings. If you’re looking for a charming spot to enjoy a relaxing coffee break, especially on a Saturday or Sunday, I highly recommend checking out Jubel Coffee!

Disappointing experience. Overpriced cakes that are very small and super sweet. Presentation is appealing and the place is cozy, however, it’s a one time experience only. You can get good quality cakes for much less price. Coffee wasn’t good.
Maria M — Google review
The coffee is good 😊 Although the entremets are really beautiful and you can get in normal and small sizes I thought they are too subtle in taste. The cheesecake was not a baked one, which is not my favorite way of eating it. The flavor is too subtle. Maybe for people that don't like the strong acidity of the cream cheese it is a good choice. The dark chocolate one with red berries filling is confusing. While the dark chocolate outside is quite strong and crunchy the mousse inside is too blend or has too much cream, making the experience a bit disappointing.
Halina D — Google review
One of my favourite dessert places in Berlin. I normally take the fruity options which aren't too sweet and fill the moth with freshness. I love how they play around with recipes. My favourite so far has been the chou with mandarine cream and poppy seeds (hope I'm not confusing the ingredients!). The service is also super friendly and the coffee is really good as well.
InEnglish — Google review
Very pleasant experience. The signature goat cheese cake has a very complex taste. It fuses the fruity sweetness of fig and pomegranate with a faint smell of goat cheese, resulting in a controlled explosion of flavours upon the tongue. The second plate consists of a liquor-filled chocolate ball, a second ball filled with passion fruit and custard, and a small chocolate cake. I heard that the chef here used to work in a Michelin star restaurant, but the strongest impression the cakes left on me is a very refined and elegant female expression and sensitivity, something that I have so far not experienced in other French patisseries. There is something unique with the cakes here and the chef has her very distinctive style. I would definitely come back to try more next time. The only problem for me now is that I don’t know between Jubel and cafe komine which is my favourite cake shop in Berlin.
Koikoi O — Google review
Tasty cakes, beautiful presentation and balanced flavour. For someone who doesn't like cakes being too sweet, it's perfect. Bought 10 different one to try out, each of them is delicious in their own way. Definitely coming back for more. Recommend the Mango, Blueberry, Ananas and Olive. Update on Apr 11th: just came back there for more, they seem to have new cakes now. Bought another 8 again for a family tea party with my parents and the in-laws. Everyone loves them 🥰 this is my new favorite place now. Update on June 12th: bought 10 different cakes again. They got new flavors and all look good. I couldn't decide on which one to try and which not so, ended up buying 1 of each type 😅 Glad I did, yummy!!!

Roamers is a trendy brunch spot located on Pannierstrasse, offering a small but carefully curated menu that has garnered attention for its avocado cream. The restaurant features a stylish, plant-filled space with light wood accents and mismatched vintage furniture. Dishes like roasted cauliflower taco and wild boar banh mi showcase the chefs' artful presentation and gourmet flair. The menu includes options such as avocado bread, poached eggs with salmon or mushrooms, French toast, and granola.
A small cozy place with very nice staff. The food was spicy, tasted great and arrived quick. A lunch for 3 went for under 50€ with coffee and dessert. Music volume was just perfect and the bathroom was clean. I have zero complaints.

Roamers was on my to go list since long time. Finally last weekend me and friends had a great time here. The food a very delicious and on point. The ingredients were fresh and portions were super pretty. There are various egg options and pancakes and also a vegan option. The coffee was very nice, we ordered a cappuccino. A little bit pricey though and also the place is quite small so they struggle to accommodate large groups. Nevertheless highly recommended for anyone who’s looking for a flavorful brunch with great vibe.
Ruchira B — Google review
Back in the days this place used to be awesome but what has happened now? The portions are so small - especially the ones on the big trays, they look ridiculous... We had to wait ages, our drinks were completely forgotten and served after the food, no dessert on a Sunday morning...

Super friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere. Cute place Coffee was very nice and the golden milk was good (bit too much turmeric) The eggs Benedict with salmon are super good. Very nice sauce hollandaise. The French toast was a bit dry and a bit too much caramelised but tasty.
Timm F — Google review
I really enjoyed the brunch. I liked overall the experience, coffee was perfect, French toast was missing something and I felt like it had somehow to much caramel. The interior is super cute, lots of plants but the place is really small and can be very loud which can make it difficult to have a conversation. Super friendly service.
Alexandra T — Google review
Eggs benedict came on supermarket white bread and eggs were fully cooked through. They made us new runny eggs so hence 3 and not 1 star. Also waited 45min for this rather mediocre brunch. Would not recommend.
Milena L — Google review
The wild boar banh mi is quite frankly the best brunch dish in all of Berlin. It is really an amazing. Everything from the coffee to the cake of the day (which in our case was cheesecake) is really top notch. I just never tried the typical eggs on toast brunch options there that you see everywhere else, but honestly its much smarter to go with their more innovative specialty dishes. Its a small and cozy place so make sure you are willing to wait a bit for a table. Fabulous and friendly staff, its always at the top of my list of brunch recommendations in the city.
Manuel F — Google review
Updated Review 2022: Sadly this place just isn't very good anymore. They changed up the menu and last time we went the food was a bit bland and uninspired. They also don't really have the carrot cake like they used to. The french toast was good but the drunken cowboy was just disappointing. Honestly not worth waiting for Original Review - 2018: This place is hands down the best brunch place that I have been to in Berlin. The food is fresh and elegantly arranged on the plate and the orders were just the right amount of filling. All I can say is that their sourdough bread was out of this world and is something I have missed since moving to Germany. The only downside is that the inside, while quite beautiful is small and cannot sit many people. Expect a minimum of a 30 min. wait if you are going there for a weekend brunch date.

Im lucky that the cafes in berlin don't talk to each other. I judge them harder cocoa grower in a chocolate shop. The coffee here is decent and reasonably well made. The milk isnt as volumes as id hoped, but that might be the absence of added oil in the oat milk, which is a good thing to avoid (so gen z keep telking me). Apparently, seed oils are the new cigarettes, and cigarettes are cool again. Yeah.

This was the first coffee shop I visited after moving to Berlin, located right next to my place. I was surprised to see the rating isn’t higher. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming — I’ve had some great chats with a few of them, and it was nice to see they’re still here after all this time. I like the atmosphere here. It’s light, calm, positive, respectful, good service. The coffee is decent, and I’m not that easy to please. And my favourite Queen A… ✨🤍

Very good espresso and reasonable prices. And the big advantage is that they work on Sunday morning!

Good coffee at an acceptable price for Berlin (around 3.70€ for a flat white). The pastry is sourced from different bakeries and some are fantastic (Queen A) other are ok (pain au Chocolat). In a sunny day you can get sun both inside and outside during the morning.
Tomás F — Google review
Great coffee, flat white and cappuccino (had both with oat milk) are very tasty, especially the flat white has a great good strong flavor. Staff are very friendly. Only one down side, I’m still waiting for that day when you need to pay an additional fee for milk instead of plant based milk ;)))

At Kaffee 9 they are all about coffee – they have different blends for espresso or black coffee and milk coffee drinks. If you end up there on a busy hour like I did, you might have to wait a while to order, but the staff is friendly and professional. I wanted to try the espresso blend of 60 % Guatemalan coffee and 40 % Ethiopian with a flat white and the staff was more than fine with this request. The cafe offers buns from Albatross bakery which were fresh and crispy. All in all, really worth the visit!
