Very friendly staff, they spoke multiple languages which is helpful if a tourist. Cappuccino and almond croissant were excellent! Atmosphere is relaxing, very zen with a beautiful view of the cobblestone street and Bishop Square steeple!

Very nice coffee or lunch stop when visiting Aarhus! Really yummy coffee, sandwiches, and pastries! The place might seem busy from outside, but we found plenty of seating inside. With two we ordered an iced latte, a cardemon iced latte, two sandwiches with cheese, and one seasonal pastry to share. All came to our table really quickly after ordering. Delicious!

I walked in and was met with a relaxing atmosphere. Once I ordered the wait was a bit longer than what I'm used to at other coffee shops. But the wait was worth it. It's got to be one of, if not the best coffee I've ever had. The music is relaxing and the staff are really kind. Would recommend 👍

Awesome tea (green sencha tea) and buns (I think it was called kardemommesnurre, see photo)! I ordered at the counter, and they prepared the tea and brought everything to my table. The bun was delicious, soft, freshly made, tasty, moist, everything was perfect. The tea was wonderful, it tasted exactly like I would expect expertly-made high-quality sencha tea taste like; plenty of flavor and not at all bitter. Nice lively neighborhood, lots of people on the street, but the cafe was nevertheless not fully packed, it was easy to find a place to sit and everything was smooth and quick and very friendly.

Stillers Coffee feels more like a coffee lab than a typical café, with a very limited selection of food and milk-based drinks. It's perfect for coffee connoisseurs who appreciate the craft, though it lacks a cozy vibe. The ice coffee is also tiny for the price. An interesting experience, but not for everyone.

This place is good for coffee enthusiasts. It's a kind of experience, not a cafe. Although the chocolate cookie and Friis-Holm chocolates were perfect, the coffee was too strong for me. Maybe the tables zone could improve to be more cozy. The service was quick, nice, and well presented.

Coffee was v good to my taste. Staff incredibly aloof, blunt, rude. Coffee quality is not worth the BS. We regularly drink very good coffee in places that manage to take the coffee seriously without taking themselves so seriously as these guys

Coffee Oasis in a backyard of Aarhus. I had an iced coffee with a hint of blueberries, which was velvety soft. Tasted more like chocolate, what I really love. Also fell in love with their ceramics. Don’t miss that experience!

I came here expecting a good cup of coffee, what I got was a full experience. The owner isn’t just a barista; he’s an artist, a true OG of the coffee game with awards to prove it. You can taste the passion in every sip. Definitely by far the best coffee you can get in Aarhus. No hype coffee place can remotely compete.

The coffee is delicious and i love the vibe of this small coffeeshop. A very comfortable to enjoy a morning or afternoon.

The espresso was really good, more of a light roast with some fruityness. The space is pretty small, seating for about 10 at most, but it is nice and they were playing pretty good music in the background.

Probably the best tasting coffee downtown Aarhus. It’s perfect if you are alone and need a break from the busy streets. Calm music coming from a record player, free tap water and just really great coffee and also tea. The shop is tiny, so it could be hard to find a spot for more than 3 people.

Aarhus has some of the best coffee houses in the world and Street Coffee in Vestergade is the most cozy. Go here for a quiet coffee and maybe a chat with the locals in the weekdays; or come here in the weekend for a coffee on the bench i the sun. I personally recommend their flat white.

Real baristas who care for the product they send across the counter. Easy to talk to and a nice cozy place. We opted to take our coffee outside at the standing covered bar they have, which also beautifully showcase their baked goods. Coffee Nerd approved!

We wanted to buy coffee beans after getting a recommendation. They explained how to properly make the coffee at home while keeping in mind that the gear we have is not the same. I sampled the coffee I bought then by getting a cup there. The taste was really great. Had a "hippiekiks" along with it which tasted really good. Will definitely come again.

Amazing! The BMO is a must! The whipped butter is delicious, and the buns are decadent. The sesame and plain were delicious. The chai is sweet, but delicious.

So many food choices! It's worth stopping and enjoying the cuisine. Summer days make the outside lively with folks enjoying food, drinks, and ice cream. Inside, there is a primary bar and another for non-alcoholic drinks, and on warm days you'll find more seating. Pick from a variety of food, some Danish but many others too.

We loved it here - great food options for all tastes including vegetarian and vegan. There was cuisine from across the world as well as Danish food and some nice bars and coffee shops. We visited during the day when it was child friendly and there was plenty of space available.

Excellent food hall located close to the main train station with so many different food options available. I had the falafel wrap from “Zaatar” and it was good. Personally the bread was a bit too flakey for my liking, but still good and the portion generous. Recommended!!

Perfect place to try different cuisines in Aarhus. They have many stalls like Mexican, Indian, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Middle East and many more. There is indoor and outdoor free seating available. The place is self serve and very functional. Must try: Thai curry, Nachos, Falafel wrap, Japanese Bao and Savory crepes.

Great place if you don't know what you want. It looks a bit messy and disorganized but selection of food is large and prices are just fine. But from all street food markets I've visited in Denmark, this one is very average.

It’s clear that a lot of attention goes into ensuring each dish feels authentic and satisfying. From fresh ingredients to carefully prepared spices, every dish offered something unique and flavorful. One area that could improve the experience, however, is the payment system. While you can order online from all stalls on the same website, payment still has to be made separately at each stall’s counter. This makes the process slower and a bit inconvenient, especially during busy times. Having an option to pay online as well as order would streamline the experience, making it quicker to pick up your food. For example, at Wolf Food Hall in Brussels, which I recently visited, both ordering and paying could be done online, which enhanced the experience significantly and encouraged people to try even more dishes. All in all, Aarhus Street Food is a must-visit for anyone in Aarhus who wants to explore a variety of flavors in one spot, and with a few adjustments to the payment process, it could become an even more enjoyable dining experience. We were a group of 7; danish citizens hosting 4 english speakers. We popped in here after a small tour of Aarhus. The staff were great and helpful. Tables were clean. We ordered coffees, smørrebrød and the club sandwich, all were delicious! Nice relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend.

We had a nice experience at Café Viggo. For the starter we ordered Moules Mariniéres - Well-crafted dish with quality bread, little lacking some standout flavours. For the main dish I had the Steak au poivre- A well-done steak accompanied by a flavorful sauce and very nice complementary sides. Main dish of my partner- Baked Catfish- Nicely cooked fish with more subtle flavors. The cauliflower gave the dish very nice touch. Dessert 1: Crème Brûlée - Delightful dessert and generous portion Dessert 2: Raspberry mousse and sorbet - Light and refreshing. Came here a couple of years ago and still remember my time here fondly. I ate here two or three times. I enjoyed their småretter, where you can select three little meals. It was plenty of food to share between two people. When I come back to Aarhus, I plan on eating here again!

This was me and my boyfriends first experience with ”pariserbøf” and it was delicious! Very nice waitstaff aswell and we finished our stay with very nice drinks to top it all off. Recommend!

It was a little quiet when we ate there so not much atmosphere - mitigated by the lovely staff who were attentive, without being pushy. We really enjoyed our dinner ('veal') and felt comfortable just being there for an hour or so. So, while in a busy quarter of town, our whole experience was very positive. Highly recommended.

They let you sit there until you walk up to the bar. If your drink is finished and your food will be served, they don’t ask you for another round. You need to walk up to the bar again. I guess this is normal in DK but I can’t get used to it. I got Moules frites. My fries were cold when served. I complimented the waiter on the food but mentioned that the fries were cold. He asked the cook and came back saying; “the fries cannot be cold.” It was awkward. I invited him to touch my fries, and he did. He agreed with me that they were indeed cold.

I really like the atmosphere of this place. We had a nice brunch. When they brought it out it looked a bit small for the price but it was quite filling and really delicious. The service was very good as well. I wish they had cleaned the toilest a little more. It takes you out of the nice atmosphere when you come in to a messy toilet.

This restaurant offers a nice terrasse to enjoy this relaxing and charming area in Aarhus. Do not hesitate to share a starter while enjoying a beer or a cocktail. The main dishes are simple but prepared with care and fine products! I highly recommend to stop by this Café for a fantastic moment with friends!

Went here with a friend, we announced our arrival inside and were told that someone will come out and take our order. However we ended up waiting 30 mins before a waiter came. I ordered the Chèvre Chaud salad with ham and upon arrival the ham was missing from the salad. My friend ordered an avocado toast with salsa, egg and bacon, the avocado was not ripe and the salsa contained nuts which a salsa does not usually have and halfway through the meal she realized it is hazelnut which she is allergic to. A better menu with descriptions of ingredients would help and then it shouldn’t have said salsa but rather red pesto, where nuts are expected. For the price and the service, I won’t come back.

Been curious about this place. We went for drinks, the snack platter and the tapas platter. All super tasty, fresh, so much food and well priced. The young guy working there was very friendly. Nice relaxed place.

This is fantastic cozy cafe which serves a very great choice of beverages, and the very best homemade bread. My favorit place for morning coffee when in Århus.

I have come here occationally for many years. The atmosphere is always cozy and I definitely much prefer to read here than reading at DOKK1 or other modern libraries. They also stay open longer. I am usually more hyped by books I find in Faktum or secondhand stores, but the good thing is if you can't find a book you want to read then there is also a second hand store on the other side of the road. I also like their sandwiches, although after having tried the same time too many times I feel the need for a bit more variation. Great place to bring friends or to go alone to read/write.

The café is in two sections, the book store in the front and the wine room in the back. Very distinct atmospheres, both really nice though. A great place to read a book or hang out with a friend or two. Ordered the "sausage and cheese for two", which comes with a bottle of red or white wine. Very nice selection of meat and cheese. One thing you should be aware of though, buying two sausage and cheese plates and a bottle of wine seems to be cheaper than buying the set. That's not very nice and does subtract from the experience. Response to response: the wine we got was priced at 149, so 90+90+149=329. I understand that may have been a mistake by the staff.

We were four people having Tapas Plates, and they were actually fine, but served with the words - i´m sorry, but we have no more bread than this - and we had less than one person eat in 5 minutes. After this we never saw the server again. Nice place Fine house wine (we had white) OK servings except from bread. - but due to that we went on to a street food to get full 😏 (both boys and girls)

Cosy and nice coffee shop!!☕️🥐 It was one of the places near my hotel and I found it lovely. There are tables inside and outside. On weekends, they have an offer of a coffee with croissant by 47Dkk. The service was really good! If you want a glass of water, there is available around a corner in the shop.

Sadly I can't say that I share the same enthusiasm as most. I agree on the service being very friendly. However the Espresso was very bitter, the Latte wasn't hot enough and the pastries weren't that great. I can't say that it's very cozy either, the bench is pretty hard and you have your back against a wall, also the shop is very small so there is just a lot of noise between the people and the machines. Just not the type of place to lounge around and relax with your coffee in my opinion. When La Cabra is just 5 minutes away with much higher quality coffee and pastries, it's hard for me to recommend this one.

An oasis in the concrete desert. Don't look at the school or public pool lest you fancy yourself judged by your faceless peers. Instead try looking at that deliciously elongated park that stretches towards the horizon. You can almost imagine that there's no traffic or stress. Five stars

Went in there for a coffee just as the server was cleaning the place up. We were horrified to see that after she swept the floor, cleaned the dustpan, and fixed the carpets, she didn't wash her hands before serving us! What's worse, afterwards she was filling out teabags and replacing stirring sticks without washing her hands. We can never go back to a place as unhygienic as this. Gross!

Cosy place, not small in the centre of Aarhus. It's a nice place to be and relax a little. On my first visit there, I had a coffee Americano and a chocolate cake. The place is clean, and that includes the toilets.

The pastries/bread are fantastic (but very limited in choice), made by Jumbo, which I believe offers the best in Aarhus. The latte is good, though a bit pricey (as is typical in Denmark) and on the smaller side. The location and seating are nice, but it's often quite busy, making it noisy and sometimes hard to find a spot.

The beat coffee I've had tasted in Aarhus. The small is super aromatic. I've had also tried Kaffe kombucha and found it surprisingly good.

I had a beef burger, which wasn't too expensive, yet very tasty and fairly big. Quality of service was very nice. The waitress took my order and was very helpful. Atmosphere of this place is nice. A very spacious bar, many choices from the menu. Some classics of music are playing inside, prices are bit high, but worth the service provided.

Amazing service and very big portions for brunch menu.

We ordered a place and a three course meal through early bird. The service was terrible, it felt like the restaurant was run by a bunch of kids. We got the starter 40 minutes after we ordered it, the hamburgers (main course) were absolutely drowning in mayonnaise and we had to go to the waiters and remind them to order us the next course each time. The only saving grace was the dessert. We will not be returning.

This little floating restaurant is an absolute gem. We enjoyed amazing food & good wine. After dinner we moved up to the 1st floor bar & enjoyed the view & ambience. The boat is renovated to perfection & all the details are making the visit even more special.

Excellent food provided in a very unique and cosy setting. The menu is small but the food is very good and well presented. The waiting staff are friendly and efficient. There is a large outdoor area to sit and have cocktails or coffee right on the harbors edge with a great view. Sadly the small menu means the restaurant is lacking in vegetarian and vegan options.

Had a wonderful lunch with the family with a fantastic view and great food. The lunch menu was small, compact but still with a lot of variety and at a reasonable price. I probably won't recommend if you are tight on money but would definitely recommend that you take the time to save up so you can try it out.

It’s a fancy cafe, good location in the Latin quarter and good aesthetic inside. Prices are quite high however and some things are completely disproportionate in price. But the man working was very kind and smiling so that was super pleasant!

I decided to go to Cafe Englen after reading the wonderful reviews on Google and here are some things worth noting down: 🔹There is ample amount of space to sit and relax, the vibe is cozy. Plus they have outdoor seating too. 🔹Quick and friendly service 🔹A different/unique menu from other restaurants 🔸I arrived at 10:20 AM on a Sunday and wanted to try the popular Egg Florentine but they were already out of it. The restaurant opens at 10:00 AM btw. So if you want to try the Egg Florentine, you'll definitely have to arrive earlier. 🙃 🔸My coffee came quick but 20 mins waiting for a chicken sandwich? Hmmm. 🔸Now the chicken sandwich is something to really consider. The homemade potato bread and the picked onions were absolutely amazing. The bread was warm and delicious and the onions were very tasty. The chicken? Not so much. If you're interested in cold mashed chicken, go for it. Personally I wasn't a huge fan as the cold chicken just did not sit well with the warm bread. 🔸Way too much arugula. It was a great experience trying the food and the people working there are amazing. Just not sure I’d go there again.

Family of four had soggy brunch at crazy price, given the quality. Not much to it. No fresh fruit. I have had brunch in over 24 countries and numerous restaurants/cafes. This is one of the most overrated brunch. Sorry but that's the case. Also toilets are filthy dirty. Don't want to post images. Fix these things and we'll maybe try again. (Would have loved that this place to be a good brunch place since the location and atmosphere is good).

Went to Cafe Engel for Saturday's supper. Absolutely loved the fish dish and the price was good too (140 dkk). Cozy seating outside in the backyard or on the street.

Went with a friend for breakfast on a Saturday morning, without a booking. We were quickly seated. We both ordered eggs Florentine which where overcook, flavorless and overall, a huge disappointment. On the other hand, their French toast was really good! Be aware of their portions, they are on the smaller side. I only give it 3 stars because making bad eggs Florentine is almost impossible, well they did it. Do not go if you are in a rush, the restaurant was not even half fool and we still had to wait 30 minutes to be served.

When placing my order I asked for an americano coffee in a medium cup with fat milk and brownie. ( pity there is no cream ) Waiting almost 10 min. Unfortunately I was served coffee with skimmed milk , which I do not like, in a larger cup than I ordered , coffee diluted with water terribly. The coffee is simply not good. I do not recommend such coffee here. There is a lack of good communication between the staff 😏. later I was offered an exchange, but I declined because I didn't have much time

They have lots of advertisement about the tiramisu latte but don't have it available. The girl had the counter seemed confused, we ordered to have in mugs on site and we got in take away cups. The cups were far from full. The milk was way too hot, it was unpleasant. The whipped cream was pointless, such a small amount that melted straight away with the burnt milk. Expensive less than average coffee and bad experience

Too go to go - worst experience ever!! They made us waiting for more than 30 minutos to collect the bags, they gave us only 2 itens while for the rest of people there they gave a bag fully with different items. When it was in my turn on the line the employees started whispering and gave us a different bag. Is it correct, Starbucks ? Should all of us using too go to go, to be Danish ?

Stay away! You ask them for lactose free milk - then you look how they’re doing it and they’re adding normal milk… Another time you ask for decaffeinated coffee, they say ok. Then it appears they don’t have it… Seems people working there don’t care about customers. We’ll never come back. Next to it is Espresso House, way better service.

Really nice Starbucks inside Salling. There's a seating area up on the second floor as well, overlooking the shopping street. Nice place to relax, and the staff are always friendly and quick. Always nice music playing while you have your beverage :) Comfy seating, and a nice atmosphere.

My sister and I had invited our mom to Aros. We had booked a table for lunch in the Orangeri. While the atmosphere is very nice, the food is quite bland and ordinary. We ordered the pumpkin soup, which simply tasted of puréed pumpkin, there was no salt, pepper, spice, cream - nothing at alle to "spice" it up. The spinach waffles, were likewise very bland, and tasted of spinach mixed with flour and eggs. Finally, the lunch platter looked very enticing, but likewise lacked flavor, and the ryebread was rather dry. Overall, the food visually very presentable, but as regards taste, it was very bland and not worth the price.

135 kr. for a cold cup of coffee and a sparsely filled brunch plate, you’ll enjoy all of this after 35 mins of ordering on a fairly quiet day 😀

An amazing place for a late breakfast or brunch. The brunch menu and salmon sandwiches were absolutely exquisite! But be careful as sandwiches they offer are huge, so it is enough for one person meal! Sauces they use are full of flavour and give a special note to each piece of the meal. The service was also incredibly friendly and considerate. The only note is if you want to pay separately, say it in a advance.

A cozy spot with some really healthy and thoughtful food. My vegetarian salad had an assortment of different nuts, berries, potato salad, slaw, and more. Just what I needed after a few days of business travel. Good WiFi too!

Cozy atmosphere, nice setting with lots of space between the tables. Had to salmon sandwiches with loads of fresh veggies and just the right dressing. The bread was nothing out of the ordinary, the smoked fish right on spot. The reason for my three star rating? We paid 49 kr. for a bottle of tap water - outrageous and something I’ve never come across before.

Why is this place not getting any reviews yet? It’s just THE place to go if you’re in the area. For reasonable price you get really gorgeous food and service. It’s just my second day in Aarhus but I love this cafe! (The only thing to be flagged is that they don’t have menu in English so you have to guess if you don’t read Danish...)

What a great place with delicious food, nice people, cozy atmosphere. The food is vegan, amazing! It feels like at home. The only thing I would improve is dinner menu, food there is quite heavy for evening (oil, fat, unhealthy), I would add at least something light and healthy. I also liked they are involved to activism and looking for volunteers, I want to support places like this.

Ordered the Flat White and Hot Chocolate, each with oat milk. It was quite disappointing overall, since the coffee seemed quite burnt and the hot chocolate lacked the cocoa flavor. The staff was very cordial and the vibes in-house were quite enjoyable and nice, for they deserve an extra star.

Extremely cozy cafe, perfect for knitting, working or just hanging out with friends, as there are plenty of board games. Food is great, vegan-friendly, delicious even for carnivores. Coffee is also amazing, but drinks are unfortunately not always so good. I love that the water is always available, and everyone can take as much water as they need. Cafe is run by volunteers, serves as an amazing place to seek community - there are many events happening and groups, to which you can sign up.

Such a cozy and chilled spot to have a coffee or a glass of wine. It's tucked away and has a really good energy and vibe. I saw they had a book club meeting and there's also a piano, just not sure if it's ever being played. Really recommend when in town 👌

Super cozy place! Went with a group of friends and we played board games from the common board game shelf :) They all got coffees which they said were pretty average while I got a “matcha latte”. Wouldn’t really call that matcha myself, but then again it’s not a speciality matcha place. But I’d still say it was far below average, it was a very pale yellow color and only tasted of oat milk- would not recommend that one. Didn’t have food so can’t speak for that.

Best coffee I've had in Aarhus. Been missing a good coffee since I moved here. Got a cappuccino with pea milk, which was good but the double shot of tasty coffee was what made it good. Got a bread roll with added toppings. Great value and so tasty. Friendly staff and they have an English menu. Will be my weekend regular spot.

This hidden gem is a must try if you are looking for an excellent coffee and a cozy vibe. We tried their iced latte and cafe mocha. Their iced latte is one of the best iced lattes I have ever tried! Will return for more.

We got an iced matcha and chai and both were extremely disappointing. The matcha was not completely dissolved and there were still clumps of matcha, the chai tasted like oat milk with cinnamon. The food was ok but such a small portion size that I wonder how they justify the price. Would not consider coming back.

Buzzing with life this small gem offers a wide variety of food. However, the prices are a bit to the expensive side and it's often difficult to find a place to sit. The atmosphere is easy going and this place seems to be a popular place before a night out. We're able to recommend the pizza and the tapas.

This place is in my opinion far better than Aarhus Street Food. The amount of noise is manageable, and the quality of the food is much better. Maybe it's because they can actually take their time making a dish, because the place isn't as packed with people as Street Food. I don't know, but it's just better. I'd much rather spend my time and money here.

I left with mixed feelings. When I arrived, I was met by a host or maybe a waiter who wasn't welcoming. I spoke Danish with an accent of course but he immediately switched to English and told me I could only sit outside. It was cold and rainy but he assured me there was heating. I agreed though he didn't walk me to the table - just handed me an English menu and pointed the way. What really bothered me was that as I was heading out, a Danish speaking couple came in. He asked them where they preferred to sit ("indenfor") - and welcomed them in and personally showed them to a table. That contrast in treatment was disappointing. The other two waiters I interacted with were kind and professional. We spoke in Danish, and they offered me a blanket which I appreciated. The breakfast itself was good but the pancake cooled quickly in the chilly weather, so it took away from the experience a bit. All in all good food and service but inconsistent hospitality. Somewhere between 3 and 4 stars.

Incredible brunch (went for the luxury one), and worth every "krone" 😋 Impressed by the quality of the products contained in the brunch and indeed enough for my tummy to become full, despite I usually eat quite a good size meal. Service by the staff was very polite. Restaurant is for kids too, so there's a bit of noise and some crumble around the floor and seats. Toilet facilities were rather small, but nice and clean. I came here after I spontaneously reserved a table for one through Aarhus Cabinn hotel. I heard they're good, nearby and offer 10 per cent of for hotel customers, so I thought I'd go for it. The service, the food and the ambience was nothing short of stellar. The two waiters who were working my table were very accommodating and always made sure that everything was taken care of, all the while being non-intrusive. The food itself was delicious, and tastefully presented and served - compliments to the chef! I went for the three course menu, and was not disappointed. The drinks selection - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic - is quite exquisite, with something suitable for every guest one could think of. Lastly, the ambience was clean, comfortable and welcoming. A very good choice in ambient music, which was at a volume where one could keep a conversation, and the lighting was continuously adjusted for the most comfortable effect. All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend Café Faust to anyone who seeks a tasty, yet reasonably priced dinner in a comfortable surrounding. (3 course meal with a drink for 315 DKK, including the 10% Cabinn Hotel discount)

Wonderful service tonight. From the moment I stepped in the door I felt welcomed. All the staff I interacted with were very professional and a credit to the restaurant. I ordered steak, medium rare, and it was cooked to perfection. I honestly can’t remember having a steak as good as this. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in Aarhus and will recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

I don't understand how other reviews are praising the pizza, because it is mediocre at best. The dough is really disappointing, and the high quality toppings don't really make up for it. The service is really friendly and attentive, the wine was good. Their tiramisu is absolutely amazing though! However, the price of about 630 DKK for 2 pizzas, 2 glasses of wine, and 2 tiramisu seems excessive.

One of the best places to have an authentic Italian restaurant experience! We got a taste of first class authentic Italian pizzas. Topped with quality ingredients and tasty, perfectly crispy crust. As a dessert wonderful selection of hand made ice creams that you need to take another round. Also the espresso was excellent. Good selection of Italian beers, wines and another products. The staff was kind and the owner is really passionate of the quality of the food and your experience in the restaurant. Don't let the bit outdated looks of the restaurant and menu to fool you. This is a Italian restaurant with top tastes you should not miss!

The owner was a real italian and was well engaged with his customers. He brought a bucket of water to a dog a family had with them at the restaurant, so he seem animal friendly too. The Slogan "We make people happy" is 100% true. We was two adults and two Kids (age 12 and 16) on holiday in Denmark. The food was plentiful and tasted very delicious . Also the service was very nice. It was good wetter and the cafe was full. Nevertheless we got a table and could change the table After ordern.

The atmosphere at this place spread out to the street that’s way we went in, it was hard to resist. We hadn’t booked and it was quite a lot of people but they made room for us. The place was just as nice on the inside as the outside suggested. A mix of European cafe and pub. What’s not to love. They hade great staff, I think they made the best of what they had in terms of time and space. The menu was comprehensive and quite nice. Just the right mix of food you know and love no matter where you are from and danish delights. It was all to reasonable prices. I would say that the food itself could have used some more love. The waiting period was a little longer then you would like it to be and when the children got there burgers and fries there, where their fries already cold. The burgers they got didn’t taste Mitch but was quite thick and hard for kids to eat. (Mine 9&7). For me I had a Stjærneskud a traditional danish, prawn, smoked Salomon and battered fish filet sandwich. It was nice absolutely and generous in size, but not a sensation in anyway. I had a white wine to that, took a Riesling and had the misfortune that it was a sweet Riesling and not a dry crisp, didn’t realise that was still something that is in fashion, but that is also I know a matter of taste. My husband had nachos with chicken and was pleased but not over the moon. So all and all. This is the kind of place I would love to give a higher rating. They have so much going for them, and I hope to come back again and see the progresses.

Open earlier than most places around. Great for coffee and breakfast and right off the canal / close to sites. Super charming and very friendly staff who speak English well. Amazing food and plenty of seating. The inside is decorated and curated so creatively. Also, the bathrooms are above and beyond. They even have bidets and feminine products in the bathrooms in the event that you need one.

I thought this was a nice Saturday morning experience. The servers are friendly-yet-perfunctory. Even though the menu suggests 4-6 dishes per person, I ordered 2 (I wasn't that hungry) and she didn't bat an eye. The latte with vanilla tastes like a melted affogato. Delicious!

We just happened to stroll along the river and stopped where we thought the food looked good for a spot of breakfast. They have brunch and mini brunch- which is a platter of breads and spreads/toppings etc, but we had the Danish omelette (I think we had the vegetarian option). It was delicious, a mushroom omelette topped with some vegetables and cheese, served with a salad, beetroot, and dijon mustard and a few slices of bread. Ive read some reviews since and most people love this place, only marking it down to 4 stars because it's a bit pricey.. but that's location for you. We paid around €25 for a tea, large beer and the omelette - the beer was about €8 & the tea €4, so there you go

Me and my wife tried their Cappuccino and Latte and we loved the atmosphere.

Had dinner in this restaurant and really liked the food quality and size of the portions. It was delicious and fresh, aas you would expect from high street. Some staff could improve a little on their service but overall we would definitely eat again.

It's a super cozy place! My family enjoys it's stay. Inside, it's a bit dark, more light would be a good idea, specially for kids. The brunch it's regular, I mean, it's not bad, but nothing special. Club sandwich it's bigger than I expected, that's cools!

I don't judge the quality of the whole menu, but in my experience the espresso was undrinkable (made with soluble powder and served cold); low quality brownie, served 15 min after coffee; uncoordinated personnel. This is not what you would expect for the price you paid.

I only got a cup of coffee in here, but it was very nice. If I ever want some coffee before taking the train or something, this place is definitely worth a revisit. Their menu looked interesting too, so that’s something I will explore in the future.

The lamb tenderloin burger is very good, and so is the spicy mayo. The sofa is terrible and the service is subpar however, and you have to go to the counter to order for some unknown reason.

Nice place, we shared 5 dishes from the social brunch menu. Everything was delicious but it took forever for the food to arrive, and there where only four other people at the time.

On the plus side, the restaurant is spacious and cozy, they have some gluten free options. We had the burger with gluten free bread and they were good. The fries were very nice, the best of all food we got. We also got the gluten free pizza which was incredibly disappointing. It look and tasted like a frozen pizza bought in a store. We don’t recommend it at all. The staff and the general service was flat and not very nice. We were very hungry and this place solve our need to eat with gluten free options, but I don’t think we will return.

Grabbed brunch at Cafe Ziggy as the cafe was well applauded. We made an online rsvp and were seated quickly. The Cafe was crowded although had plenty of room in the back bar area. Cafe Ziggy was simple with a few choices for brunch. We chose the egg and croissant, a small board, chia and skyr bowls. Our first time here and the bowls are quite large. Coffee are made to order and the boards are shareable at either size. Unfortunately for me the rye and grain breads lacked taste and substance, a few slices, large pat of butter and a slice of cheese and cold cut was too plain for the price. The skyr and oats on the other hand were a great size and filling. A tip when ordering, the small board comes with a side of the skyr albeit a smaller version but filling. Asked to take away the large bowl and was told there was no container to go... Had to improvise and asked for a to go coffee cup and low and behold it all fit. Cafe Ziggy seems to be a popular place for coffee and a cozy meal. Would recommend ordering shareable plates and beers on tap for an easy meal.

Cozy atmosphere and very friendly staff. The location is not close to city center but by metro and busses can be reached. The breakfast variety is fine and the food was quite fine according to its price.

Cozy little spot for a tasty brunch. A couple of good veggie options. We had the avocado toast, which was delicious and the veggie burger, which is made of chickpeas and herbs/spices served with mini roast potatoes. Can definitely recommend. The prices aren't exactly cheap, but the quality is really good. So it's worth every penny.

The food is ok, I would always come for the generous nachos 🤩. But few weeks ago I had a very awkward experience with a young waiter who seemed extremely bothered to be at work and couldn't even say what on the breakfast menu was dairy-free. I think this café is too hyped for what it actually is.

Waiter was UNPROFESSIONAL, lack of customer service, when the food came to our table my nachos with chicken was basically spread out cheddar microved and burn (somehow) store bought tortilla chips, the NOT homemade salsa was more sweet then candy! When we went to go pay our waiter was on the phone and a coworker just stared at us no one told us what we ordered and how much it was going to be finally a price was displayed and I was like is this our bill or what? All and all would not recommend at all waste of money for mediocre food, you get better food in a fast food joint

The late was literally just milk,you couldn't feel any coffee taste, waiting time for just two pancakes was so long like 30 minutes, then they brought one instead of two and we had two wait ten more minutes on top of that,then instead of apologizing for that the waitress said she was just preparing the order,I think they can really improve themselves in terms of service and coffee quality.

I don’t recommend eating here! The food (we had pasta) was quite disappointing, as it was made with low-quality and tasteless ingredients that failed to provide any real flavor. It felt like there was little effort put into the dishes, leaving a bland and unsatisfying experience. Additionally, the cutlery used was of poor quality, and to top it off, the plate I received was broken, which was quite off-putting. There were no restroom facilities available, which added to the overall inconvenience. On a positive note, the service was decent, but it couldn't make up for the lackluster dining experience.

One of the best and affordable places in Aarhus. The food has been always good and the service as well. Their frokost menu is also very nice and has a lot of varieties. However, the only thing i am missing at this place is their own bathroom.

It is a good option for lunch in Aarhus for a good price but, remember, before at four.

Effective for a traveller. Just grab a piece of bread and butter, take your coffee and you are good to go. They've got a small amount of tables to place yourself at. Recommend.

My favorite bruch place so far! Have been there 5 times and every time left the place very happy. They are pretty booked on the weekends ( but even then they are always smiling and welcoming) so if you do plan make a reservation for sure! The variety of different burgers, also vegan on the menu, can be complimented with a lot of different drinks. The beef in the burger is grilled, which gives it a really nice flavor. My beef was a little overcooked, but it still tasted great. A good place for lunch, dinner, or a night out.

Annettes had one shop in Aarhus but quickly became popular enough to open several. I believe there's 5 Annettes in Aarhus now, all with good quality somewhat healthy sandwiches of good quality. A little pricey but worth the cost if you are looking for something less junky.

Very nice place where we ordered brunch coming with many different dishes to share and they were all delicious, made with love and fresh ingredients. They offer a such variety of tea it’s difficult to choose. Staff is welcoming and friendly, service is fast. It’s definitely worth to get a taste.

We had a lovely time at this place. These cakes were recommended by a lovely blonde girl who was working there and they were super tasty! The staff had no problem speaking english and they were in a great mood. Would visit again for a cup of good cappucino 👌

The food was amazing, the sandwiches are tasty & huge, skyr very good and my iced latte super good. The prices were ok also and staff super friendly they translated everything I needed in English. I don’t understand some of the reviews below, there must have been recent staff changes.

They sold us spoiled skyr. We said to them, but they closed the conversation with a simple sentence: “Skyr always have special taste” Absolutly not recommended.

I like the way Espresso House always delivers a nice product. Their lattè in house is way better than other coffee shops. But what makes this location “Rock” was the great service of Essa. Who worked incredibly hard. Both Saturday and Sunday she did a fantastic job!

My favorite cafe in the Nordics. All their bakery are delicious, especially the miniberliner and cookies. Love their summer cold drinks too. My husband and I always like to come to this location for a cafe date :) it is never too busy here and always cozy with nice music.

I ordered a double espresso specifying that I wanted it very low in the cup, to the girl and I even showed the level with my finger. She made me a long coffee, I said it wasn't what I asked for, praying to make another one, half the dose of the one she served me, she made another one but still nothing, my instructions for the girl were evidently not worthy of consideration. I gave up the coffee which cost me 36 Danish crowns, €4.82 and left this place run by inexperienced people completely unaware of what it means to be at the customer's service. Encouraged by good reviews and a craving for pasta, we decided to try this place. We opted for the carbonara and the salmon pasta in tomato sauce. Both were decent, but neither was impressive. There was nothing groundbreaking about them. Would I recommend it? If you're nearby and hungry, then yes, because the portions are really generous, but I definitely wouldn't come back here specifically thinking about eating good pasta.

We walked past and saw the restaurant and went in -and good thing we did. Wonderful little place, delicious food and friendly service. We liked what we saw on the menu and ordered starters, mains, and a dessert along with beer and soda. The melon and ham was a joy to look at and delicious to taste. The carbonara was steaming warm, authentic, and plentiful. The shared the tiramisu but could have easily eaten a whole one each, it was finger licking good. We will be back and try other dishes. There are tuesdays tortelllonis, Wednesday pats and another dish on offer on Thursdays along with a perfectly paired glass of wine. We might try that.

I went after a recommendation and I got very disappointed. The place is small but cozy and the personnel are friendly. The food is very average and to my taste even too salty. I ordered the ravioli with pesto and I found the portion very small, and I'm a petite person. I had to go and eat something else after paying 145 kr. I don't think I'll come back.

I went to All - LYNfabrikken this week for the first time with my friends and had an amazing moment. The place is cosy, the staff super friendly and helpful plus the food and tea I had were delicious. I went up to check the terrace and the view is amazing and it has a covered area, in case it rains. I really recommend this spot in town 🏭☕️❤️
