There's plenty of space, plus a kids' corner with toys and books, making it a relaxed place to catch up with friends. Just be aware it’s not wheelchair accessible and the stairs are steep.

Absolutely lovely food, and just a little bit different from the normal cafe menu. It's definitely worth a visit. And the hot chocolate is pretty impressive too!

A really nice independent business with friendly service, off the beaten track. Don’t be put off by the exterior, it’s upstairs. We had the omelettes with toast both of which were delicious. The chocolate cookie also looked and tasted amazing. Really friendly staff, we will be back.

One of the best bakeries in Northampton selling contemporary artisan bread. As the name suggests, they specialize in bread which gives plenty of options to choose from. I went for a Saturday morning brekkie and it was very delightful. I got the scones with cream and jam, a croissant and a sourdough cheese melt. Everything was extremely delicious. Due to dietary restrictions I asked a lot of questions and they were very clear that there is no cross contamination. I also got a cappuccino and latte which was one of the best ones I’ve had in Northampton. Definitely worth visiting and a 5/5 experience.

Yes, it is open. Head inside, up the stairs, past the yellow mellow cooking oils stand and behold The Good Loaf. It is a bakery on a BIG scale. They have a range of breads on display on a table in the centre of their cafe. Thrown together much like a House of Fraser sale. Fresh, but not Magee Bakery fresh. It’s big, but lacks the vibrancy of a neighbourhood cafe. To avoid disappointment, order online and pickup.

A clean contemporary decorated eatery. The menu is restrictive but excellent quality and value for money. You have a choice of breads with whatever you select and washed down with a wide range of coffees at realistic prices. Then you can peruse the various breads available to buy and take home. Well worth a visit to support this venture.

A lot of focus has gone into the theme, vibes, etc etc. The food and drink, however, are average and very pricey for the quality. They also run out of them pretty quickly and the variety isn’t that great either - which would have been fine if the quality was better. Moreover, our takeaway sandwich had a hair in it. A pretty average experience. Nothing bad, but disappointing given the hype.

Lovely little Harry Potter themed cafe with great milkshakes and variety of cakes. Has a small choice of toasties. If you fancy a nice lunch filled with sweetness and great atmosphere, this is the place to go 🙂

A cute little place in desperate need of more customers! It has a great fantasy/Harry Potter theme for fans of the series. Great to see a selection of vegan food available. We had a pistachio, chive, and rosewater cake and a vegan 'sausage' roll. Would love to see more of these! Soya milk was available for coffees which was good to see as well. Not sure if extra was charged - hopefully not.

Harry potter themed cafe. Lots of varied hot and cold drinks such as milkshakes and coffees. They had some nice seasonal options such as pumpkin spice and creme brulee. A bit overpriced for what it is, but still a cute spot for coffee.

I don’t know whether this place is still open. It is a hidden gem of Northampton. Step into a world of fantasy. It’s so cozy and the detail inside is absolutely delightful. Friendly staff. The food is beautiful. Love how the food was decorated and displayed. I bought cappuccino and had a mozzarella pesto sandwich, it came with salad and crisps. Good portions, very filling. The sandwich displayed in a basket like in red riding hood and an apple. The cafe interior is like escaping into one of Harry Potter books. Floating candles, jack and the beanstalk, Cinderella's shoe, careful you might end up in my novel sign. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Good value for money. I will definitely be coming here again. And there's parking outside. Don't forget to buy a ticket. I always find eating in a big city, can be intimidating and deciding where to go hard. If you love reading, this place is a great place to go and you'll fit in. It's retro and cool. Everyone please make sure you give the Magic Bean Emporium a chance. For someone like me who lives outside Northampton, this place is a real asset to Northampton. Keep up the great work!

Beautiful homely coffee shop. I loved it there and will definitely be going back.

After a little shopping trip in the morning; we went looking for somewhere to eat. We eventually found this place and had a Quick Look at the menu before going in. It wasn’t too busy; and had a really nice atmosphere. We both Ordered the Breakfast with a side of white toast which was really good; only thing for me was I wish the toast was warmer to spread butter on easier. Service was really good also; from sitting down to leaving. We was seen to in a timely manner; and food arrived not long after that. My only small gripe was the selection on soft fizzy drinks. I personally don’t drink coke; so I went with the “Victorian Lemonade” which was more sour than refreshing. Paid £25 for two meals and two drinks. Portion size felt a bit small at first but for the quality products you receive it’s definitely worth it. Will visit again when I’m next in Northampton.

Been coming here for years but the last visit was unfortunately the last. Unaware food finished at 2pm but arrived just before food had stopped, ordered two jacket potatoes and two sausage bagels for the kids. Jackets were quite small with a bit of side salad and chicken mayo filling, but okay, tasted fine but nothing amazing and bagels were standard for the kids. Ordered four soft drinks to go with it and was a bit surprised the bill was nearly £60 . The prices were never that expensive and portion sizes very much reduced. Customer were entering just after 2pm and told no more food, I think you might need their custom with those prices. On the positive, the serving staff were lovely .

Very nice and cozy place. Staff super nice and friendly. Very inviting atmosphere. Coffee was quite nice. Food was little bit underwhelming in presentation, taste was just ok. Definitely could hear microwave after order so it says a lot about preparation process. Overall can recommend. Would come again for nice cup of coffee.

Fabulous little independent café along the best street in Northampton. Very friendly, quick and professional service. Amazing fry up and lattes. The hunters jacket potato is also excellent. A Fresh New Start at Dream's I recently revisited Dream's since it changed ownership, and I’m so glad I did. The new décor and thoughtful updates have given the place a fresh, cosy, and welcoming vibe. The staff were friendly and attentive, service was quick, and the breakfast was both delicious and generously portioned — all at a reasonable price. Highly recommended!

This bakery is really impressive. Their sandwiches and coffee are consistently high quality every time I visit. I always leave feeling very satisfied Apart from the double egg & cheese sandwich and chai latte, which are my must-orders every time, this time I also tried their pistachio cappuccino, so delicious!

Always love a visit here, limited selection of toasties but they are always amazing and never disappoint! In fact on this visit I wanted to try each of them!! The marshmallows are also homemade and perfect with a hot chocolate! My only complaint is not room left to buy cake!!

Can't let Sunday pass without having a Scotch Egg here. Absolutely amazing taste. The coffee is wonderful too. I really like how they make the iced latte a bit fluffy on top and by blending the ice, coffee and milk together.

What a find! Wish we loved in Northampton just so we could come here every day. As it is, it was the perfect round of to a week's narrowboating.

One of my favourite places in Northamptonshire! Tasty baked goods - especially the halloumi roll. Wish I lived nearby, I’d grab the sourdough all the time. Friendly customer service & really lovely community vibe when you come here. I wish the space was a little bigger, as when it’s busy it’s hard to get a seat and/or have to wait outside. Buuut new places are hard to rent, so this is more a wish than a complaint ❤️

I was looking for somewhere to make a dairy free Birthday cake for my boys 3rd birthday. I didn't want a novelty one, just a simple chocolate or sponge cake which was dairy free (due to allergies) but big enough to serve around 25-30 people and didn't cost the earth. After a phone call and some Whatsapp messages, the staff at Shed Cafe were able to help me. They sent me the ingredients and answered all my questions. I collected the day before (as requested) and was able to add the cake toppers prior to the party. Very friendly and efficient staff, the cake was tasty and enjoyed by all. Thank you so much for your help 🙂

First time visitor and the welcome and food was plentiful. There was no rush to get you in/out at all, which was nice when meeting up with a friend as a halfway stop. I would have finished off with cake but my sandwich was very big (a massive plus!!) and really tasty. The baguette was huge and stuffed with tasty sausages and definitely worth it. It was very busy with a lot of people coming in for food and drinks. It looks a haunt of highway workers, which is always a sign of a good cafe! The tables were quickly cleaned and wiped. My only negative, which is why only 4* is; after a few hours in there I did come away with a strong smell of stale cooking fat on my clothes and hair. Even with this, I would come again, but with Fabreeze in my car for the trip home! I would definitely recommend for a good breakfast/dinner and a decent cup of tea! Coffee not so much as it was instant (not my bag)

The Shed Cafe was an unexpected delight! Food portions were amazing! Food quality was amazing! Great prices and friendly, warm and welcoming staff. Proper home cooked food! Plenty of seating inside and out. The place was very busy but the staff still brought our meals out to the table with a smile. I would recommend to everyone of all ages to have a visit for hot and cold food. *especially the cherry crumble! Which is to die for! Thank you very much!

This little place was amazing Only small but had seating outside and some tables under gazebo. The staff were polite and very helpful A variety of different things on the menu. Every table was cleaned immediately The food was yummy We had breakfast It was cooked fresh when you order. We didn't have to wait long. It came to our table well presented and fresh and piping hot. We went here on our last 2 days in Northampton Only wish we had found it sooner. A personal homely touch with fab staff. Loved it and highly recommend.

They make your own menu isn’t very clear, you have to buy the small breakfast and then everything is additional on top. By the time you’ve done this, you might as well have the big breakfast as it cost so much to do. Most items on the breakfast menu are decent quality unfortunately sausages are very cheap.

Lovely staff, however, the atmosphere was very busy with high noise level in a small space. The Mocha with cream cups were small so had not gotten enough amount of coffee , plus a lot was pouring from the cup side!

Lovely cafe! They offer great breakfast options at really good prices. I had a caramel latte with soya milk which was lovely too. Staff are polite and friendly. The cafe is usually busy everytime ive been. The cafe always looks well kept. Recommend you stop by.

Great coffee shop/bar in the evening. Came here for the pre drinks before a night out. Ended up staying here. Good selection of gins. Staff were friendly and could see this being a coffee meet up with artisan cheese and breads for lunch.

A group of friends went for a birthday celebration and it was amazing! The food my friends ate looked and smelled amazing! The moaning and contented smiles was enough to let me know the food was GOOD! With food allergies I decided not to risk it, but I did splash out and have a cocktail or two. They were happy to slightly alter the cocktail so I didn't have chilli in it (as I have an intolerance to it). But it was so tasty! And I rarely can have cocktails so this was amazing! The cocktail I had was the Passionfruit margarita (minus the chilli) & I barely have any photos because I drank them so fast! Tart but tasty!

Lively bar, great atmosphere! We had a selection of food as part of a large group, including baked Camembert, pizza and cheese boards! Was amazing! We had been to see a show so was really handy as right nearby. It was busy though so I would recommend booking, tables can be reserved. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent cafe with high quality well crafted coffee, plenty of sweet and savoury home baked treats, sandwiches etc, which also has the benefit of being dog friendly. It is warm and inviting and clean, with internal and external seating areas and services always come with a smile. The only draw back is the limited parking and popularity of the cafe which at times can create a bit of a backlog and a slight delay in service but it feels unfair to penalise The Workhouse for this.

The food is SO good and the coffee is so good but it’s just so expensive! £5 for a mocha and £7 for porridge!! Crazy!! But it does taste so good lol. Really hard to get a seat tho, wish we could book

Had a magnificent Senorita sour dough bread toastie with a decaf cappuccino and a wine bottle of free water. Fantastic. This is the Michelin 3 star coffee bar. The Ritz of Workhouses. And Fran was super friendly with such a lovely laugh and made a happier day even happier. Thank you

Great food , great coffee. Prob won't go again. Taken over by Dogs. On chairs and seen on tables. What a shame. I'm not anti dog, just antiinconsiderate owners. There must be hygiene issues here.

It is a brilliant little café that offers great support too local autistic people it is a bit pricey but if youve got a good moral compass they also have a query zone in case of meltdowns. Definitely my fave food spot in Northampton.

Handmade sandwiches with care. Nicest Chicken mayo sandwich with salad that I've ever had. Really nice, quaint place. It is small so it could get quite busy but you can eat in or takeaway if it is too busy.

I thought this Cafe was superb. *Please note that the mayo on top of the food in the picture was my addition and not served that way* A warm welcome from staff and a can do attitude for my requests. For example, I didn't want leaf salad so they offered to make me a fresh lettuce based side salad, which was really nice. Excellent Jacket potato with various toppings, all freshly made.... and finally, a cafe that didn't cheap out on the cheese!! Extra points for that. There was such a friendly warm atmosphere in there and I look forward to going again. Pricing was reasonable considering the extra toppings and drink, I didn't feel like it was cheap nor did I think it was expensive. As I mentioned, the ingredients were more premium and so that gets taken into account when considering value for money, and I feel like this was just right. CONS: - None. (really, there was nothing wrong at all even if I was being super picky) Summary: A must visit and a true credit to Northampton.

Came here after reading the reviews, but left disappointed! The coffee was average, and when I took my laptop out—still folded—the staff quickly and without hesitation told me laptops weren’t allowed, quite rudely. The place was nearly empty, as you can see in the photo. I won’t be coming back. Maybe the coffee was better than I remember, but the unwelcoming service overshadowed everything.

Had a latte and the coffee strudel cake - my word!! One of the best made coffees I have ever had. Not over compressed , milk not burning hot - just perfect!! The strudel was absolutely delicious. The venue is loads of fun with an avenue of classic cars / hotrods and motorcycles just nearby for some good eye candy!! An amazing gem of a place!!

Up there with one of the best coffee experiences I've had. Found it to be reasonably priced for the quality. I also liked it was served in a mug and not an arty-farty wide brimmed cup for a change! Highly recommend if you're a Black-Americano fan. Son had a hot chocolate which he guzzled down and enjoyed a flapjack too.

Visited around 2pm on Thursday. I ordered an iced Americano and was very pleased with it - especially as the staff prepared my drink so quickly! It's a lovely little coffee shop with great taste in music and cool decor. I really enjoyed visiting and would definitely recommend.

Honestly just my favourite coffee spot. Staff are always incredibly friendly and welcoming. I come every Saturday morning to read my book and it’s always a nice chilled vibe, the coffee is the best I’ve had. My only complaint is there isn’t more YB shops because nothing else competes

A lovely find in Northampton. Had an americano that contained a 3 bean blend, enjoyed it so much that I bought some of these caramel cherry beans to take home. I'm not going to pretend that I know all the flavour profiles but I know I love it! A nice chat with the owners/barista team aswell who politely me advised how to get the best out of my new beans and Moka pot. And I sure am. Yay

Found in Nene Court, a bundle of shops hides this hidden gem of a coffee shop. With home made cakes and a range of hot drinks, the atmosphere is rustic with wooden tables and fairy lights. Service was fast and the cakes were even better. I cannot fault this cafe, and definitely recommend a visit. To note, it does get busy at the weekends as its popular for a reason. Toilets available. Thank you for a pleasant experience.

I got there as it opened. Went to order my breakfast... first customer, to be told we have run out of Bagels. How can you have run out of something so simple before you open. Very bad planning. The lady who served us at the tile was quite rude. Food that we ended up having to have was just OK. I will not been returning. Very expensive for what you get. Very disappointed

Food was hit and miss at points, Salad was a mix of fresh and old wilted Lettuce, the ciabatta was soggy and the fish was cold despite the expectation of it being warmed up a bit, both food and drinks were expensive for what they were. Unfortunately unlikely to return given the high prices and the fact the food was not the best. Wish this business all the best in the future

I hadn't been to the Deli for over a year, I was pleasantly surprised to see it was now twice the size, decor was lovely. When we went up to the counter it took some time to get attention, no eye contact by woman in kitchen, i could see she was preparing foid, but all she needed to do was acknowledge our presence,and offer a welcone and explain she will be with us shortly, bur insyead it was a bit awkward,, Making us wonder what procedure was for ordering. On a positive, good variety of menu choices, portion was very good, and the panini I had was very tasty including side salad and coleslaw, however cold drinks were not mentioned on the menu (apart from milkshakes and iced coffees), I only noticed the we drinks fridge as I was about to pay for my lunch. It was rather noisy in the cafe, most of which was coming from the kitchen counter area, I have no idea what all the banging was about, but due to high ceiling it may have made noise worse. I never understand why cafes are not more aware of how loud noises impacts the customer experience.

Lovely little place great stop just a short drive off the dual carriageway on our way to wales. So much better than a soulless service station. Friendly, helpful staff, had the best veg curry I’ve had in a long time, we also had a soup and sandwich combo and jacket potato. Very good value for money. Even found a lovely foot path close by to let the dog off to stretch his legs! Will definitely visit again when travelling this way.

Quiet country village location in the old blacksmiths forge building. Staff are welcoming and friendly, and the food and drink is first class, also competitively priced. Highly recommend, great place for breakfast, light lunch or afternoon tea.

What an amazing find. This wonderful tea room has amazing food, staff and picturesque English old forge barn setting. You can sit outside in the sun or inside the cosy stoned wall barn. Their cake selection is fantastic and the host is very welcoming and makes you feel at ease. There's a great kids menu too so ill be bring my child next time she will love it! There's also band evenings (tickets are available in advance) and morning breakfasts. So all your needs are catered for. Would be perfect for large parties celebrating 🍾 I was very impressed! *They accept card payments now so no excuse not to visit! 5******

Stopped here for another delicious lunch & was able to sit outside for once as the weather was so nice. Vegetarians and gluten free catered for - in fact the majority of the amazing cakes are gf. I had the gf savoury tart with homemade coleslaw (pictured) & the Devil's food cake (gf) with cream (pictured). Service was prompt & friendly as usual. Cash only.

Really good cafe with a nice range of food - what we had was very well prepared and delicious (buttermilk chicken, shakshuka and croque Monsieur). Had to ask for water twice but they were really busy. The place was stuffed full, we were lucky to get seats!

Stopped here for a coffee and ended up having a late lunch lol. Delicious food, croque Monsieur with chips and chicken shawarma on flatbread. Delightful staff, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely visit again when passing through Towcester.

What a wonderful experience! Superb customer service, superb breakfast (one of the best, if not the best, vegetarian breakfast I have ever eaten). The breakfast was lovely and hot and everything was perfectly cooked. The coffee was good too. We will definitely return. What a great find.

We had a delicious late brunch of Eggs Benedict and smashed avo 🥑 and delicious roasted tomatoes, just needed a crack of black pepper. Plus stayed on for a great coffee and cake. We're not local but we are coming back for the Loaded Nachos which looked amazing 🤩

Absolutely class cafe in Thrapston. Have eaten here several times and always enjoyed it. The staff are without a doubt some of the loveliest people on the planet. Today we had ordered a working lunch and everything was absolutely perfect. Delicious sandwiches and pastries, all beautifully presented. Highly recommend and will definitely be using again. We came across this cafe whilst on our first visit to Thapstone on a Sunday morning. We were warmly greeted and our little dog was particularly welcome and was given water and offered a sausage. We sat outside in the lovely little back courtyard adorned with flowers, the food arrived very quickly. We had the mini breakfast which was just the right amount and came with a very thick slice of toast and we had tea for 2 in a huge pot. Would highly recommend!

Nice jacket potato (of reasonable size, not the over-sized you often see now) with tuna (not lost in a mayo slurry) and tasty cheddar cheese. Good coffee. Nice veggie breakfast too. Friendly service.

The story begins way back in the early 2000’s when I used to visit Cafe Nero in Northampton. Emmanuel who owns Caffe d’Italia was working at Nero’s and I told him to open his own Caffe. He did just that! Fast forward 20 Years and Café d’Italia is still owned and operated by Emmanuel who has a passion to serve up the best Cappuccino in town. From Coffee to Croissants, from Panini’s to Italian 🇮🇹 Delicacies you can be sure of service with a smile at Caffé d’Italia. A little shame that Emmanuel can’t park his Vespa outside his Caffe. I poped in the cafe at second time. This cafe is always busy and it doesn't have many seats inside but this time I could have. it is cash only. I ordered Americano with Tiramisu. Tiramisu was good. Tiramisu was £4 in Sep. 2023. I had pistachio croissant before. That was good too.

Lovely place to shop and eat. Prices in the shop are on the higher side and I'm sure products could be found cheaper online, but they are beautifully presented and high street shopping deserves support. Food was homemade and deliciously wonderful and service was friendly. The children's area was a delight and the exhibitions upstairs an added touch of joy. Will be visiting again and would definitely recommend.

I've been here twice now, I come across from Belfast to visit my Mum in Northampton. We came last year for my Mums 80th, and then again today, for my Mums 81st (every birthday is a blessing!). The food is really good tasty stuff, and there's a great selection. And it's flexible in how it's served. It's unpretentious and relaxed, and its real positive point is its staff. Lead from the front by Geraldine, all the staff, young and old, are kind, practical, friendly, and have more than an ounce of wit about them. Which sadly I think we know isn't always the case in the chain cafes.. Mum can only have puréed food and they were very obliging with the soup provided, although unexpectedly the chilli in the soup didn't suit mum (who has an oesophageal issue) - she loved the taste but it was too spicy. The staff saw the problem, and kindly offered a couple of alternatives and could not have been more helpful. Leaving Mum, and therefore her son (me) and daughter equally happy. I would unhesitatingly recommend this place if you either live locally (then you'll know it) or are just visiting. One point I would make is to pre-book, this place gets jam packed, especially at weekends and holidays!

Our first visit, with my wife, my brother and his wife. This was for belated birthdays for the two ladies. A lovely place, great food, I had the steak and ale pie, and great service. Pricing was fair for the type of establishment. We shall return!

Lovely food, nice surroundings and friendly staff but the big problem is the wait time when busy. An hour for a toastie is too long and our 3 year old granddaughter kept asking where her jam sandwich was. However the menu has improved more each year and now there is alot to choose from and more tables to sit at, especially the tables near the toys if you have young children. The chicken, bacon and leek pie I would recommend along with an ice cream milkshake!. Also some lovely looking cakes and puddings to sample. It's just a shame that the waiting can be awkward especially if you have young children. You don't like to complain but it probably would be an idea to inform people how long the wait is so they know what to expect.

Lovely afternoon tea in a relaxed setting. Food was fresh and tasty and a lovely selection of different things, and tailored to be gluten-free and lactose free. Beautiful crockery adds to the meal. All served quickly and with no fuss. There is also a gift and toy shop and a museum upstairs. Would recommend it to everyone.

We've had icecream here over the years and whilst I've never been impressed, my memory got the best of me recently when I placed an order to make a birthday cake. I've communicated my concern via email and have yet to have a satisfactory reply, but I didn't expect one. The owner did reply asking me to call or send my number but email is eqiuvalent in this day and age and as I replied that email IS a satisfactory method of communication. Their error is my loss at the end of the day and I won't lose sleep over the fact that I received an open used tub of icecream and other sub standard flavours which had to be disgarded. That's a chance I took and my loss. However, I do feel compelled to leave an honest, open review based on my recent experience. So basically I ordered 6 tubs for delivery earlier this month. I never once received an email confirming the purchase. I was surprised because in this day and age, confirmation is not even a question. To make matters more confusing, I didn't receive an update on the order or a dispatch email. I had to send an email asking for an update on my order then I got a knock on the door a day or two later with the order. Communication was absent for this entire transaction until I emailed my complaint about a used tub of icecream they sent me. Basically I ordered the following tubs of icecream to make a layered icecream cake for an event: 1. Mint Chocolate - went into the garbage as it arrived previously opened and used, missing some icecream. I had to go out and buy Carte D'or Mint chip from Tesco which never disappoints. This is their blunder and I realize it's my word against theirs, in the end $5 tub of icecream is not enough for me to lose sleep over, so it's my loss since ten days has passed since an exchange of one email with the owner and no reply since. But you can imagine in my 53 years of life I've never received a used food product. 2. Peanut Butter - this was good with hard chocolate swirls in it. I used this in my icecream cake, it rated high in my opinion. It wasn't creamy but it was tasty if you like peanut butter. It's not quality peanut butter, but it's good enough. 3. Coffee flavour - this was good, honestly it was ok and I used this in my cake. It could be improved with a creamier icecream but it was satisfactory but not enough to make you say yum. Coffee flavour can hide any faults. 4. Cookies and Cream - I threw this tub out. It was bland at best, not creamy, not one piece of oreo cookie as detailied on the label. It was actually just chocolate sauce swirls in artificially flavoured vanilla. Save your money and skip this flavour for certain! I had to buy a replacement flavour at the store and opted for trusty Oreo brand Oreo icecream sandwiches for one layer of my icecream cake. Yum! 5. Chocolate - I threw this out after sampling. It left a less than desirable after taste in my mouth.I had to replace it with Carte D'or chocolate from Tesco which is always reliable. 6. Banana flavour - this is going to be a love or hate. One sample and it went in the garbage. IF you like and remember the taste of liquid banana flavoured penicillin, then you'll love this. I did not, it was replaced this with yummy Ben and Jerry's Bannanoffee which did not disappoint. I'm an honest, loyal person and I have no reason to speak anything but the truth with complaints or reviews based on experience. Gallone's should understand this is not a dig, it's simply an opinion based on recent personal experience. I should add that over the years when my son was a child, he was always a happy customer, but he would inhale any old icecream. My advise to future customers - It's fine for the kids. The parties at Gallone's always looked fun when we would have dessert in the restaurant. Cleanliness hasn't always been up to my standard and whilst their rating is satisfactory, you'd think they would want to strive for excellence but ratings and quality of icecream are just satisfactory at best. If you are looking for quality creamy icecream, you won't get it here.

I am wondering why would close your shop at 5pm on a sunny day in May? I am not sure if this is a UK law to close at 5pm on a week day when is sunny, children out and parents back from work ready to spend some quality time with children

The ice cream is really nice and you can create your flavour, with the different toppings they have. Which makes it unique. However,the place is small and mostly packed. We usually have to wait some minutes,most time we go there before getting seats. I guess it shows their ice cream is pretty good. They have nice shakes too. Overall,the ice cream is bliss! Worth every penny.

Delicious ice cream with plenty of flavours. Good value for money as you get one topping, sauce, whipped cream and a wafer included in the price. You can also take tubs away for your freezer at home. Love going to visit!

Came here with my family for the first time and omg was it amazing! The food was delicious and there were so many ice cream flavours to choose from!! The only negative was that when were were in the queue to order, it took a while for us to be served but the food came quickly and it was delicious, it was definitely worth the wait! 10/10, will definitely be coming back!!

I have been going there for a few years and always have a wonderful time, the staff are lovely and have a great memory, one in particular remembers my order every time, ngl I kinda have a bit crush on that one 🏳️‍🌈, but they don't know. It's a great atmosphere and they make the coffees beautifully and tasty. I usually get a Hazelnut Latte, and from what I can tell that one staff member recognises me based on my Latte order 😊. Well worth visiting and as Rushden Lakes is a shopping complex, it's worth having a grand day out.

Always love the staff, food and atmosphere at Bewiched. Visted this morning and was served by two amazing people (Hollie & Ed) but every single time I go in every single member of staff are absolutely amazing. Always welcomed with a hello and a bye when you leave which not many coffee shops do. It's my go to place for meet up with friends due to how lovely it is.

Popped in for a warming cup of coffee after a chilly walk around the lake with my dog. Very nice cappuccino served by nice, friendly staff. Comfy seats. Pleasantly surprised to have my small dog welcomed in too. Will be popping in here again next time round.

First visit to this premises - outdoor seating available for good weather, staff on hand for assistance or enquiries. Tables cleared away and cleaned promptly. Located just close to the boardwalk area. Lots of coffee options and cappuccino as well as tea and coffee and a range of soft drinks and sandwiches and cakes.

I often call on a Saturday morning and today I called at the cafe...super coffee and scones as usual.Lovely sweet kind staff there as well.I visit the Daily Bread where I love to get their bread and jams.I sat just outside the cafe today weather was lovely .I finished my visit with a look round the charity shop and got a couple of things for my neices . A few weeks ago I threw an impromptu hen do for my friend here. It was a Saturday so very busy but Sarah and the team did a brilliant job accommodating us. The food and drink was amazing, beautiful decor and the karaoke made it! Thank you so much guys - highly recommend. This place is a gem!

Unprofessional, food not satisfactory, music not great. EDIT: After reading responses of the manager to other people that leave negative reviews shows how unprofessional the owner (Sarah Clarke) of this business is. They appear to talk about their mental health in every avenue of a complaint in order to score sympathy points. When in a professional position you should deal with things in an appropriate manner, after reading the negative review re the wedding, my heart sank and sank further to see how Sarah Clarke responded to them... This place shows kindness to get your money but behind closed doors when no one is looking, is a lurking manipulator... I have also heard they serve alcoholic drinks to underage customers

Great drinks, but two dogs messing around and a baby on the floor being changed!! And at 5 to 3 everything was closed down as they wanted to close, they had given us our drinks in paper cups so we could take it out if we hadn't finished the drink. Not the most encouraging place to go for a coffee.

We held a surprise baby shower when the cafe was closed for private functions. The staff were so lovely and very accommodating, even helping us to ensure that the surprise went smoothly! We all had the afternoon tea which I think everyone enjoyed. There was plenty of food with many of us taking home the leftovers. I'm vegan and the vegan afternoon was absolutely delicious - one of the best I've had! It's probably worth noting that the car park is quite bumpy so just bare that in mind for those who experience mobility issues. Would not hesitate to recommend, thank you for a lovely visit.

I had my first ever Afternoon Tea. It was lovely. But the service was very slow. We booked our table it took 15 minutes to get offered a drink and we had finished our drink way before the waitress brought out our food. The table next to us came after us and they were served straight away and gone by the time we got ours. Bit disappointed. 🙄

First time visit. I got french toast with banana and it was nice, i prefer a different style of french toast but still very nice. Misses got a burger and enjoyed that too. Got a pot of Tea for 2 and all in was £35. I was happy with that. We are going back soon to try other bits. Hash browns were very good as was the bacon so i will try the full english next.

In my opinion, Wythmail's is quite possibly the best coffee shop/cafe in Northamptonshire, and probably beyond. A true benchmark. Service is always spot on with all staff being polite and friendly. The food is amazing quality, and the coffee is fantastic (Yellow Bourbon Coffee Roasters). I think all ingredients are sourced locally too. Looking forward to many more visits. Highly recommended.

What a gem of a cafe! My wife and I had afternoon tea at Cafe 1850. We received a warm welcome and shown to our reserved table on the first floor with a beautiful view of the memorial garden ( you need to book afternoon tea in advance). Our tea/coffee order was taken and our food arrived - home made quiche, sausage rolls, a selection of sandwiches, warm scones, cream and jam, and cakes. More tea was available. This was a memorable experience with wonderful food and great service.

What a fantastic looking cafe tucked off the main road in a lovely location. It's open to all and I would recommend popping in, it's very clean and bright, with lovely decor and bits of artwork on the walls. Loads of space down stairs and it has an upstairs. Staff are friendly and really keen to help. A good (and I hear with plans to grow) selection of food and drink. The food was absolutely lovely, great quality and the coleslaw was a great extra and I think home made!

Been a few times and place I'm happy to come back to. The staff are considerate, friendly, and helpful. The downstairs is small but has a lovely outdoor seating area (there is an upstairs too but not accessible as step stairs and no lift). Lovely and peaceful environment, small but good quality.

An afternoon where I am left feeling very proud of my ex colleagues. I visited Rich Beeby and Roxanne James to explore their new venture on Barrack Road. Cafe 1850 unsurprisingly oozes energy, ambition and wonderful customer service as this was at the core of their approach in our days working alongside each other at Royal and Derngate and Northampton Filmhouse. This lovely cafe was created virtually from scratch. Spotless and modern with a lovely vibe. It is a lovely little setting next to the Cathedral and is only 15 minutes walk from the town centre with good parking. I love a good homemade soup and the tomato soup with cheese toasties worked a treat. Still had room for a Lemon drizzle cake that was moist in texture and saturated with flavour. There are some great ideas being floated for special evening promotions. Well done Rich & Roxanne. I am proud of you. *****Update****** Visit 31/5/25 Afternoon Tea for my partner and I. Great find! We stopped by while out on a walk, nice set up and quite busy! We sat outside as it was a sunny day. We ordered a sausage roll, cake, one hot chocolate and one milkshake. Food was great, mint hot chocolate-lovely! Feedback on the milkshake: the milk was not cold, was luke warm sadly, as otherwise it tasted lovely. And if it the weather was cold/raining i think the indoor seating was a little cramped for the buggy to fit in. Apart from that, it was nice to sit and watch the canal boats, will definitely go back!

Wonderful place for lunch with a good selection of things to pick from along with tempting array of cakes. Given it was a decent day we chose to sit outside with relaxing views across the marina. You order at the counter then the food/drink is brought to you,the staff were really efficient/friendly and really nice working well together providing a really good experience. Will be returning soon .

Hugely popular cafe/restaurant, with buzzy atmosphere. Great selection of food both hot & cold. Super service and lovely staff. Chose the breakfast and declined a couple of items, was then offered Hash browns thinking these were "swaps", but was charged extra. Not a drama, but will know next time. Well worth the visit.

Lovely cafe to pop by before or after a walk. We had two toasties served within 10-15 minutes even though the place was packed. The personnel always happy to help and polite. Prices reasonable, for two big toasties served with crisps, one cherry Bakewell slice and two cappuccinos £12 isn't too bad. Definitely choose to sit in a table next to the window as the views are quite nice. Looking forward to visit again in better weather within summer for a coffee ❤️

Lovely garden centre with excellent cafe on site. Includes the craft shack that has lots of lovely items that are handmade from local sellers. There is a pets corner type area with ducks, goats and chickens which is always a favourite with kids. A new found treasure that we will definitely visit again.

A quaint little garden centre offering something a little different to the usual big name places that are all pretty much the same. The choice is limited but what it lacks in merchandise it makes up for in other areas. The layout and quirky style jumps out at you, the animal pens and area for the goats is great. We visited the cafe, the staff were super polite, the choice was just right it tasted nice and the price was reasonable, very clean in there too. We will be returning with the grandson as he’ll love seeing the animals. October 30th and no Christmas decorations or artificial trees for sale. I’m not sure if this is something they don’t do or we were just too early.

What an amazing place, firstly in a great location. Plenty of parking. The garden centre sells lots of plants but also rabbits, parrots and chickens. There is a display of goats who are in an enclosure, and there are chickens who walk in. And ducks in the pond. The pond shop is great, real knowledgeable guys, and a great service. Some amazing koi on display. The tea roof is really quaint, and the service is great. Big pots of tea and massive scones. I can't wait to go back.

Unfortunately on the day we visited, the farmer next door had a field he was burning,so spoilt the experience. Felt sorry for all the animals here as they couldn't escape the smoke, we dived into the little emporium for a mooch which had some really interesting pieces in there. A quick look around the antique shed and unfortunately we were off,as the smoke was getting down my throat

Small nice garden centre, a lovely visit with children as chickens, rabbits, goats and even a tortoise to see. Tea room looked a small dark room to sit inside and we wanted to sit outside which the bench was taken so we carried on. We enjoyed the visit!

This cosy little cafe on the Wellingborough Road is a perfect place to meet a friend for a coffee. It's quite small inside but if you can get a table then service is quick and the coffee is delicious. There is also a selection of savoury and sweet treats to have with your drinks and the staff are extremely pleasant. Despite it being on a busy main road, you can still relax and enjoy a calm atmosphere whilst being close to town.

Just popped past and had a cappachino. I sometimes find places burn coffe and it's the milk is not fluffed up enough. But thus place gets it right. Nice clean shop. Staff are welcoming. The prices are just about right.

Brilliant food and drinks they just need to dump there freeb wifi as you can never get a good table due to the people staying there all day to have one coffee and free wifi. Or you get the odd bunch of women sitting for to long having there own TV series of loose women. Get the Costomer's in and out to free up the experience for others to enjoy.

Popped into this cafe by chance as the costa next door was closing for the day & we are so glad we did! The service was amazing, the two people working were very friendly & brought our drinks over to us very quickly. The hot chocolate was delicious & we were very happy with the sizes. The closer drink is a medium & the further away one is a small - it made us wonder what the large looked like! Very value for money & will be returning next week for lunch :)

Decided to give them a try for a change and was not disappointed - maybe not a vast place but was served in a really friendly manner and the coffee was just superb also noticed a tempting array of cakes/food all a bit different to usual expectations which sets this place apart. The interior seemed clean/tidy, seating though looked a bit more rustic not too sure if you could spend too long but in general everything was just fab .

Popped in for a quick takeaway drink as we were passing by. Hubby had a flat white and really enjoyed the taste of the coffee. I had a hot chocolate and it was amazing, the best I’d had in a while. Personally, I find that so many of the big chains have a weak, milky, watery excuse for hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was actually chocolatey. The person who served us was lovely, polite and smiley. Would defo recommend takeaway and will be popping in to have a dine-in experience!

The best tasting coffee in Northampton is in the ‘hood. This is another business I would love to see around the corner from where I live. An eclectic, vibrant coffee shop packed with youthful, happy staff and creative socialites. It is abuzz with locals on a Saturday morning. Take a look around when you get inside, there is so much art work on display, it’s difficult to focus. The owner is definitely a movie buff. Downstairs, there may be no windows, but the space is brightly lit, the modern art exhibited is bright and creative. Upstairs it is coffee central. You can even buy coffee beans here if you do wish. I haven’t even got on to the best part. The Old Grocery delivers off-the-charts tasting coffee. I love notes of liquorice and that is exactly what is delivered in each cup of their house blend. It is some of the best tasting coffee I’ve ever had. A visit to Northampton is not complete without a visit to Magee Bakery and The Old Grocery.

I love this little treasure trove , brilliant coffee , friendly helpful staff , both outside and inside seating available. I’ve yet to try the food but the menus offers something for everyone and always looks delicious . It’s great to support an independent local business. 🤩

You must come here and have one of their home made sausage rolls. It will not disappoint and it’s the best I’ve had! The coffees are also perfect using locally roasted coffee beans but the service is really where they shine.

I go to the gym on the corner and walk down for a coffee after and you’re always closed. I end up at Starbucks being ripped off. Your coffee is better but I can’t wait until 9am for a coffee, place is lovely tho friendly staff amazing sausage rolls and great coffee. Just open earlier so I can get it 🤣

Stopped for a breakfast with the family and we loved it. Great service, big portions, great food and very reasonable prices.

So visited on Saturday 2nd March for an out of town visit as heard good things about this cafe. You can park outside of Tesco Express and if you cant then it is only a short walk. First thing to remember is this cafe is CASH only. So i ordered the Super breakfast £7.90( i dont have mushroom or tomatoes) but was offered an extra sausage so really good start. You get bread or toast with your breakfast and a choice of drink. I opted for the black coffee which wasnt bad quality. A tidy little cafe with plenty of seating and was clean. They have a vast menu to suit everyone and some of the menu items look really nice. Anyway back to the brekkie. Sausage really nice flavour as was the bacon. Lots of beans and the eggs were tasty too. Overall a really nice hearty breakfast with really quick service and a good price. The staff were friendly and i will be back to try other menu options.

Lovely little café. The food is decent, portions are great and staff are so friendly. It can get quite busy during lunch time as we had to wait 15 mins for a table but as soon as one was available it was well cleaned and welcomed for us. My only issue with this café is that it's cash only but there is a Tesco around the corner with a cash machine so it's not too bad. Also, there was no non-dairy milk available. I'd love to have a cappuccino but there is only dairy milk available which I cannot have.

Ive never been in here before a few weeks back. Always stuck to normal restaurants as I've never been a massive fan of cafes as tend to be expensive for what you get. However, in the last few weeks I've been here a couple of times. As tje 1st time I got liver and onions which comes with mash, bacon and onions. And it was a really good tasty and filling meal for under a tenner. Ive been back 3 times in last few weeks with my friend. Both of us always say how good it is. Service is quick and polite. They always welcome you as you come in. The owner made a real effort with us as well asking us if we had been before on the 1st time, and next few times he even remembered us and said hello again. Its tje little touches that go a long way. Great job guys. 👌

Horrible. I went there because of how well my friends talked about it, I’m currently in hospital with food poisoning. The owner is absolutely rude same with costumer service. Food was basically thrown in my face. HORRIBLE service. Never again.

Within hours of eating here, I was violently sick Hygiene clearly isn’t on the menu If you value your health, eat literally anywhere else even a petrol station sandwich would be safer

Wanted to support a local business with a light lunch. As it was a very busy time, I waited 10 minutes for my drink, 35 for my main. I was offered a cake because of the delay. Charming staff. Chai latte was beautiful served. However, a little too much and too weak for my taste. Chicken soup tasted like out of a tin but it was warm. If I had been with family or friends, we would have been noisier and therefore not forgotten:)

Went there with high hopes. Staff is courteous and it wasn’t too busy. Food was quite disappointing. So much so that we had to get it packed so that we can improve it at home and eat. Sandwiches were dry, tasteless and you could see that the chicken was just about to go bad. Cake was good. Won’t recommended.

I recommend the afternoon tea at Lawrence's. We had a lovely afternoon, the tea was delicious and very generous. We sat in the cosy snug at the back of the shop, perfect for a small group. Great service from Georgie and Jane who kept bringing fresh pots of tea. Thank you :)

This place is beautiful it is true. That's it. We asked here for a food recommendation and ordered this cheese burger, which is supposed to be home made. But everything was a lie. It is a disaster but not food. I have never tried anything worse for 11 GBP. It was not even made of meat.

What a lovely place, it smelt so good walking past I had to go in and I was so glad I did The chef clearly takes a lot of pride in his food, it shows, I had the souvlaki and it was excellent. The only downside was it was such generous portions there was no room for a slice of the amazing looking home made cakes. The staff were super friendly and helpful, I will definitely be back highly recommended.

I live nearby and have used the Cafe occasionally for a tactical breakfast, which is one of the best in the town center, definitely the best on St Giles St. Recently they've become a bit more important to me though. I have MS, specifically I have some issues with my bowel that means I have extreme sensitivity to some ingredients, none worse than Rapeseedoil. It is very hard to find food without it in it, so buying and preparing food is hard, sometimes its easier to just buy a plate. Lawrence's have been very accommodating with this, and truly very helpful.... dare I say... caring. They always come out to chat with me and always offer support which isn't their remit. But the food is very good.... but the people are even better. This is a business I'm more than happy to support and can only recommend to the highest degree. This is an example of how to run a business AND go above and beyond. Respect and gratitude 🙏

Wow what a find! Delicious lunch of chicken souvlaki with pitta bread, amazing tzatziki and dressing on the salad- the chef came and told us he made it all. Delicious and really reasonable prices - we will be back!

I was getting my tyre done at ATS down the road, so popped in for a coffee. Really nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Plus the coffee came really quickly and it was top notch.

We have been coming here for a few years now and the food has been consistently good, especially the cakes!! The staff are all absolutely amazing and so lovely. It’s always a lovely, friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

I've spent the last 20 plus years riding around Buckinghamshire and finally stumbled across this delightful little bakery. 🥰 Staff are super friendly, great coffee and THE most yummy cakes. Loads of other things on sale in the cafe too. Indoor and outside seating. Perfect spot for a fuel stop for the local cyclist. 10/10 🥰

I stopped here this morning in my Rolls Royce after seeing the sign on the roadside. I was visiting the local RREC Hunts house nearby so after my drive i was in need of a coffee and bacon roll for breakfast. I was greeted by 2 lovely ladies who served me a great coffee and a delicious bacon and egg roll which i wasted no time eating🤣👌👍. I will definately stop here again when passing. A great little rest stop with very friendly ladies serving.👌👏👏

Really top class bakery and cafe/tea shop. The cooked food is really good, very well, freshly, cooked on the premises, the cake selection is huge and the tray bakes are a very generous size, but the best bit is the bread, so fresh and such a wonderful selection. I'm willing to bet you can't just go here to buy bread, you will come out laden with cake and other goodies. Highly recommend a trip, it won't disappoint.

Blink and you might miss it. On the outskirts of Whittlebury. A lovely bakery with interesting bread mixes. Also cakes and farm produce available. Next door is a coffee shop. Not the most elegant but very welcoming with decent prices and basic food menu. Very pleasant staff especially the young lady in the coffee shop. Not brilliant surroundings but a view to die for at the rear. A nice experience.

Lovely little bakery selling a variety of produce. We bought some fabulous mince pies. They also sell filled sandwiches, cakes and pastries. We had rather a nice coffee too! Obviously very popular, as they had sold out of all their fresh bread!

Customer service without a smile. Visited the bakery today, the iced buns were tough and salty, heavy. No friendly welcome from the two ladies working behind the counter. Very frosty experience. This is the third time trying this place out and I will definitely not be returning, each time has been more disappointing than the last.

Stopped here whilst out cycling, the food is fresh and tasty (the sausage roll and flapjack kept me going for the rest of the ride) and the staff are very helpful. They have installed bike racks and benches. Will stop here again next time I’m in the area

Had a lovely breakfast there this morning. I had the Shakshuka and the wife had Eggs Royale. Both were exceptional. The coffee is smooth and brilliant as well. Service was with a smile, lovely setting and vibe inside and I will definitely be back.

Very mediocre and overpriced as far as food is concerned. Smoothie bowl was completely melted when served so was basically banana and a few toppings in some watered down berry liquid. Avocado bowl was fairly bland. Long wait considering the items ordered and the fact it wasn’t that busy either. Wouldn’t go again

Been visiting this place regularly on Sundays and honestly this is one of the best coffee places in Northampton. They’ve specialized coffee with different flavors and the quality is just amazing. I’ve tried their cappuccino, latte and mocha already and I was not disappointed. I also tried their cheese bagel which was delicious. The seating area is limited but has a cozy, chill vibe to it. They even have a couple of seats outside. Would definitely recommend this place. A great experience overall.

This is for sure my favourite breakfast/ brunch spot now! Amaaazing food! It’s very rare when I get a bagel which is warm, perfectly crispy and soft. Generous portion of salmon inside and amazing coffee. However, I would recommend changing capes for smaller ones and changing onion to shallot :) Our service was good and it was so cozy inside! Definitely advice to visit this cafe

Today, I collected the order, and I've been shocked for the packed coffee without a cup holder. Until ai, got to the car, and it is all split over.. very unprofessional without care.. a bit frustrating, need focus on the job you do. Costumer and reputation is your priority. Thank you. Saints is probably the best find in Northampton town centre for sit-down coffee, brunch, British charcuterie boards, cakes and sandwiches, absolutely delish cocktails and some lush wines and beers. You will not have a bad time here! Lovely staff, beautiful setting and a social enterprise to boot - so your fun has function! Truly obsessed with the Morello cherry blondie and the PISCO cocktail, but you'd be hard-pushed to find a dud on the menu!

Update: They now do breakfast! And it's also amazing! Coffee, good. Cake, good. Cocktails, absolutely amazing! This place is my new favourite place. It's for a nice vibe during the day and an even better one at night. A perfect place to brunch with family or have cocktails with friends. Delighted this place is open!

We regularly visit this cafe and have yet to have a bad meal. The owners have always made us really welcome. If you make them aware of anything that is not quite right they are happy to change or offer alternatives. Not that we have ever had to change anything.

So I was passing through Rushden and wanted a full English breakfast. Well I am so glad I stumbled across this place. Robert and Kirstie run a wonderful cafe. They also do a fish Tuesday special. Great service, fantastic food and very fairly priced. Highly recommended. It is up Hamblin Court off the High Street. Give it a try!

Family friendly- amazing service for children!! This is the first place we have eaten in, where the team were thoughtful enough to serve our children with children’s cutlery. We often take our own, but didn’t need them today. They were fantastic with the way they interacted with us and our children too! Great home made food and love the service. We had a lovely Christmas 3 course meal. Tasty homemade soup for starters, full Christmas spread for mains and a lovely homemade trifle for dessert. My wife had the vegetarian option and couldn't finish it as there was so much to eat. Lovely homely place to eat and relax. Kirstie and Robert are great hosts.

We really enjoy the breakfasts at Scoffers! Always well cooked, well presented, good quality and reasonable prices. Good choice on the menu though we usually have the bargain breakfast - just enough for us! And you can swap an item - sometimes I prefer mushrooms to tomatoes! Great staff too!!

Great road stop. Good friendly staff, comfy seats, good food, good prices, heck even the music was great. Perfect pitstop place.

Good basic food. Cafe like surroundings but always clean. Staff helpful and err on the side of caution with gluten allergy which I prefer. A favourite for breakfast at the weekend and can get busy. Sunday lunch worth a look too.

Don't get me wrong, the staff were lovely and very friendly and I suspect the eat-in fried breakfasts are great. However (you knew it was coming didn't you?) The coffee was awful and, after fighting through two mouthfuls, I decided to surrender and poisoned the car park gravel with what was left. The bacon bap was adequate. My conclusion is cheap & cheerful do not always go together. Keep the staff; Dutch the coffee.

My wife and I come here most Saturday mornings for their breakfast, we have never been disappointed with what Scoffers put on our plates. The food is tasty, hot, not greasy and normally busy which is a good sign in my opinion.

Cracking Coffee, Good alcohol selection and mega cocktails. After moving down a few months back, this quirky and cool bar/cafe quickly became my favourite spot in town. Staff are super friendly and always make you feel welcome. The prices are fair, better than fair! The option for shisha with a cocktail on a evening with the fire pits is a real good touch and I’ve had many a good day/night there. Keep up the good work all, doing a cracking job!

Brilliant coffee shop staff are friendly they go out there way to make you feel welcome and are always on hand I have not met the owner but everyone is welcoming I have stopped by everyday the sisha is a plus that other coffee shops local don’t offer the decor is unique and hand made from reusable materials they have there own custom reusable coffee cups and clothing that is 👌🏼 definitely a place to visit with friends and family or even alone you still enjoy your time 👍🏼 ONE TO WATCH

It has been so nice to see the place progressively getting better over the last year, and to enjoy the shisha and mental vodka under the lights in their sheltered outdoor area was a delight! I should also note that they seem to have gone above and beyond for another guest who was on a first date. The staff really do offer every comfort and friendly service. :)

popped in on way back from working up north - was pleasantly surprised as parking was free in local car park - bonus - coffee and sandwich was great and priced at £6 - i think was a bargain - considering i have to have oat milk which the likes of costa charge ya more for - coffee was amazing - didn’t even need sugar unless most coffee shops. staff was friendly chatty , and made you feel welcome - 100% be back when i’m 100 miles from home again - gonna pop back for a weekend and sample the bar - and hopefully bump into Mr lambo 🤞

Pop in to have a cheeky cup of tea as we were looking at 78 Derngate and what a lovely food place for food. Service was incredibly friendly, food tasty, we heard toasted cheese scone with Rene McIntosh style cheese slices and jam and butter, I had coronation chicken sandwich on brown bread with chips, salad and coleslaw on the side. The coronation chicken was just the right side of spicy were a little bit of heat plus oozing fruits that was so nice. The tea was spot-on and we sat outside enjoying the sun while contemplating the marvellous garden! Definitely a hidden find in terms of food, price, quality, friendliness, service.

Wow! We had the pleasure of attending my friends Baby Shower in a beautiful room at The Dining Room yesterday, the table and room was set out so beautifully, we added a few decorations too, the afternoon tea food was out of this world, and my Vegan food was so delicious! The room did get a little bit stuffy, as the windows can’t be opened due to past security issues, so having the door keep opening was refreshing. All of the staff were so accommodating and friendly and helpful, all of my friends had a great time. Thank you. 🙏🏼

Pretty light filled room with an amazing terrace if you want to eat outside. The food is very reasonable and delicious. Came for coffee and cake and stayed for lunch on the strength of that!

Visited here yesterday with friends and husband. Down through a secret corridor in a beautiful old building on George's row you enter upon a garden with a water feature...gorgeous! Sat at an empty table and looked at the menu. Decided upon cheese and pickle sandwiches, chicken goujins and lots of chips for the table. I had gluten free prawn Marie rose sarnie which was pretty good. Food came out relatively quick and was presented well. We all enjoyed our foods and would return.

Had a lovely lunch here this afternoon. They were able to cater to my dietary requirements by making sure there were no milk products in my meal which I really appreciated and it was delicious! Would definitely recommend and come again :-)

Had afternoon tea here for a birthday treat with friends. It is a proper little tea room set I a beautiful building and garden. We had lovely food. Staff were friendly but, I was asked to pay halfway through the tea, which I found annoying as it was unnecessary and embarrassed my friend whose birthday we were celebrating.

What a find. Having read the reviews I had to try it for myself. On entering I found myself transported back to being a little girl going in to my nans parlour. An eclectic mix of 1930's to 1950's style furniture with a warm welcoming atmosphere. The garden area was beautiful, unlike the weather. But I look forward to going again to experience the garden. A good choice on the menu and a very generous pot of tea. I will definitely be returning.

Had afternoon tea with a friend this week. Website says £18 but was actually £22! What food there was was nice but the quantity left a lot to be desired. Compared with other town centre venues it was poor. The young malecwaitor was very nice but the young girl seemed to just stand around and it took a second asking for another paper napkin (killed wasp with first!) and a second cup of coffee. Will not be having afternoon tea there again.

Love this place, Sarah and her team are great. Lovely warm welcome, great atmosphere and gorgeous food, best butchers bacon and sausage sauced locally loving prepared and served with a smile. Lunch options are spot on too have a sandwich and choose to have sides it comes with 3 salad, homemade coleslaw and crisps or what ever combination you choose. Home made cakes too the price is so reasonable and the quality spot on. Love to find a local gem ❤️another huge bonus is its dog friendly too and there is ice cream and dog treats available 🐾🐾

A lovely local, family run coffee shop. A wide range of food and drink. They even cater for allergies, gluten free and vegan option available. The staff are all friendly and polite.

Had the best time at Brown's on Sunday for the first ever Tapas night. The food was absolutely amazing. The calamari was my favourite. Looking forward to the next one

What a little gem - met by big smiley faces - ordered the chicken sandwich take away The sandwich was prepared freshly, crunchy coleslaw, roast chicken, soft seeded bread, seasoned perfected and came with crisps - £5.45? Would’ve paid double. Can’t wait to come back.

We had a lovely experience here, lovely cakes with vegan and gluten free options and a wheelchair ramp at the front! We will be back!

Browns it such a wonderful family run business that puts there customers wishes first. Prices are affordable, Drinks and food tastes amazing! The cafeteria is so clean and tidy and also has a fair size outdoor seating area to! I would highly recommend this place and they will always have my custom!

We really enjoyed the food and fun atmosphere at the Super Sausage Cafeteria. The owner has done a great job with decor and the entire set up of parking for motorcycles and vehicles. The food had flavor and cake out very quickly. We will be back next year!

If you want an amazing breakfast , this is the place to go . My all time favourite go to place for a Sunday morning full English. Always quite a few people here , so best to arrive early ,or after lunchtime when you wont have to que. Food served quick and hot , and eating outside and watching the machines arrive is always interesting if you are into bikes .Lots of parking for bikes and cars . A great place to meet up with mates and easy to get to

It's always a favourite of mine. Being a biker, this is always a place that's busy at weekends. Menu is massive, so spoilt for choice. I have a group of deaf friends and they also have regular visits here and the staff are just wonderful. I tried the special burger and wasn't disappointed.

I love this place. Best fry up I’ve ever had and the old school biker atmosphere is unmatched. I don’t live nearby but if I’m ever within a half hours drive away I’ll make it a priority to visit. ❤️

Lovely atmosphere, and super friendly staff. we ordered a sausage, egg and bacon kids meal and the portion was average but the sausage was bigger then normal ones. also ordered a small all day breakfast including sausage,bacon,egg,beans, and toast. Everything tasted delicious and was not too busy. Lots of motorbike posters! The price of the food was very affordable and good value.

I have been here twice now and it is a busy large cafe but the food is brought out quickly and to good quality. I have had breakfast previously, served before 11am and then again the brie, cranberry and bacon panini this visit for lunch. My husband chose to swap his crisps out for chunky chips for an extra £1.50. I joked with him that he would get 12 chips, making it over 10p per chip, but he did get more than that. The food and service was good, and we stayed as long as the wasps would let us. I'm a woos when it comes to wasps. There are wasp traps in the inside/outside section but not on the inside section. This place is very large, and if you know what I'm talking about with the inside/ outside section, then you know! I would come back again as I wanted to try the cream tea with the special scone but I was full after lunch.

My sister & I both had a Caesar salad with Salmon. The Salmon although a tad dry was acceptable, however the Caesar Salad was not! The “Crouton's” were flat cut up slices of brown bread toasted not fried, some left in strips, we couldn’t decipher how authentic the dressing was as there was so little of it, but definitely no hints of garlic or anchovy. The slight dusting of Parmesan cheese didn’t enhance the flavour whatsoever. This is the first time that I’ve been disappointed with a meal here, hopefully you will take this feedback on board & endeavour to provide an authentic Caesar salad in future

Visit 2.20pm. Ordered one scone with butter and jam plus one more with butter only. Also ordered two coffees. Coffees brought promptly but scones ten minutes later, as coffee cooling down. Scones had jam and clotted cream, for which we were charged extra!

Great place to grab a lunch. You scan the bar code, place your order and you will be served. We had the Ploughman's lunch and a Brie Ciabatta which were both great.

Overall a decent experience and a nice place to get a coffee and a cake, however, the garden area is infested with wasps and we were swarmed no matter where we sat. Garden area tables were left with loads of muck and rubbish on them. The service and food was nice but nothing to write home about, good value after a walk around the centre.

First of all, we have to commend Sienna, our waitress, what a lovely, polite and smiley young lady! Shes a credit to your staff. Secondly, may I mention the cheese on the cheesey nachos.......3 out of 4 of us had this, but the cheese was rock hard! My friend worried her teeth might break 🤭. Might it be better to serve grated cheese, or a soft cheese sauce? We would have preferred that. Thirdly, my bacon, Brie and cranberry ciabatta was delicious. Thank you all.

Like to go here as has a nice atmosphere with a relaxed service and tasty coffee! But food however has become bland and tasteless, my quiche had no seasoning and no hint of goats cheese as it suggested, as a foodie I am disappointed. Chips were the highlight and very tasty. Overpriced for standard of food as ‘salad’ on partners dish was one sad bit of lettuce with spoon of coleslaw on top ! Haven’t tried the breakfast or cakes here, could be a better option rather than lunch!

The first time I visited this beautiful Garden Centre, I didn't have a lot of time to explore this place but I managed to buy a couple of plants It did look like it might be my kind of place majoring in plants and a very nice tearoom.

Just experienced a light breakfast in the Aspen cafe. You know the foods good when the table goes quiet during eating. 1 slice of bacon, 1 pork sausage, 1 poached egg, 1 hash brown, 1 tomato (swapped for extra hash brown), mushroom, beans and a slice of granary toast. Seated quickly by friendly staff, order taken efficiently, food came out promptly and couldn't fault anything! Bacon and sausage delightful, hash browns possibly the best I've ever tasted. Absolutely fantastic food, cooked to perfection! Thoroughly recommend to anyone, we will be back! 2 very happy customers 😊

We did have a quick look around but went really to have lunch in the cafe. There is good selection for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. We had paninis which were accompanied by salad, fat chips, and coleslaw. All very tasty and good service. It was very busy.

I was at Aspens cafe today for brunch with a local Meet Up group, we occupied 4 tables, the staff were very organised upon our arrival with our pre-orders etc which was very reassuring. I ordered the light breakfast with poached egg, it was all well cooked and well presented apart from the half to.ato, it was not cooked or in any way heated,but all in all, very impressed.

Popped in while passing when we were out for a walk from Barnwell to Oundle. Fantastic place, clean and welcoming, great atmosphere, huge selection of teas and other drinks too. We had a coffee which was perfect. We didn’t stop for food but the menu boards made us hungry, next time we will stop for longer and treat ourselves to some food too. First impressions we thought it was a small place but soon realised there were other rooms with seating in too, so plenty of space. Highly recommended.

Went for afternoon tea, during booking I had requested vegan and they confirmed this with us when we arrived. Our table was ready for us and we were given menus to select our drinks from their very impressive selection. It wasn't long until everything arrived and a very enthusiastic staff member was talking us through everything we were about to eat. Everything was absolutely delicious, you don't expect to have that quantity of food and have it be that good. The atmosphere was incredible, we took our time and didn't feel rushed, the staff were very friendly and passionate, really nothing to fault, highly recommended!

Popped in for a coffee after a walk around the local. Lovely little place Nice coffee We didn’t have food, but some lovely looking choices on the menu boards. I would certainly recommend popping in in you’re in the area. Lots of atmosphere, tasteful decorated.

Well, this was a great recommendation. We popped in for a drink and decided to eat while there and were extremely happy we did. The staff were all friendly, chatty, and happy to help, and it created a great atmosphere. The food, one of the daily specials, and a Tuna Doorstep, drinks and service was spot on, and we are looking forward to passing again.

Excellent service. We had the freshly baked scones along with jam and cream and it tasted absolutely delicious. My wife had an oat milk latte and I had a tea. The proprietor blends her own tea. I had an Assam brew which was just first class.

I do not tend to contribute reviews but having a tea served with an hourglass is intensely satisfying. They live up to the 'brew' in their name.

Could not do enough for us, with lots of allergies the chef was incredibly thorough and knew his produce like the back of his hand. The food was amazing and the atmosphere is perfect.

Great atmosphere and the food was delicious. Very personable, they catered for my dietary needs and didn’t hesitate. Cakes looked amazing, also had some vegan cakes and some gluten free cakes. They sell gluten free and vegan sweets, sauces and chocolate. Even dog treats sold here - all good quality. Very impressed with the family (30+) lunch event provided for us. Beef, chicken, vegetarian, vegan and kids etc options all provided. Took a little time which was actually perfect as we wanted the time together. Lovely atmosphere in the converted barn, great value for money.
