Cafe
Breakfast restaurant
This Italian cafe situated just steps from Lake Michigan is the perfect stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The cafe offers a variety of light breakfasts like granola and toast, as well as sandwiches made with fluffy breads. For coffee lovers, Caffè Tosi has a wide selection of drinks to choose from, including espresso, latte and borgia. Dogs are also welcome at this establishment since they can smell all the delicious food inside!
Had breakfast here this morning, all the food was top notch, honey had a croissant breakfast sandwich with turkey bacon and cheese, my daughter and I shared a pecan waffle, bacon and fruit bowl. I was so excited to see the fruit bowl was berries! I’m so used to honey dew, cantaloupe and a grape when you order a fruit bowl. Honey got a coffee and I got a brown butter toffee latte, also very good. The atmosphere is a little less that comfortable, very cramped especially once it starts to get busy, some things they can’t help, like the size of the space but I do feel they could organize things to better accommodate people that want to eat inside. Staff was friendly, over all very good experience.

3.5/5 - pretty dang charming cafe with a fantastic atmosphere and decent coffee! Food looked real good too, but I only splurged for the deserts, and I found them a little disappointing for the price ($6-$7) per desert. Maybe if I come back and get their food, I’ll bump up the price, but overall I’d probably just stick with the coffee and the food!

Delicious, authentic & fresh. Love this place! Minestrone soup & ciabatta, cheese croissant with hot tea.

we had breakfast every morning of our vacation! great chai lattes and dirty chai, nice outdoor area that let's you live your french cafe dreams right in michigan. and it's not too far from the beach, all very walkable!

A nice and quick place to eat. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and the sandwiches and soup hit the spot. Plenty of bakery items as drinks to choose from.

This place is hopping in the morning. Fresh pastries, cookies, pasta salad, coffee brewing, it smelled wonderful! I had the pecan waffles and they were delicious! Will have to try there lunch & dinner as well!

We loved everything about this place! It was truly a highlight for us during our Lake Michigan trip. Wonderful ambience. The minestrone soup and warm goat cheese salad were to die for! Lots of pastry options and the coffee was great. We went not once, not twice, but three times while we were in St. Jo! Highly recommend!

The Mason Jar Cafe is a popular Benton Harbor breakfast and lunch spot that features creative American cuisine. The cafe is known for its farm-to-table dining and accommodates both omnivores and vegans. It offers seasonal menu items that are locally sourced. Guests can enjoy fresh food in relaxed settings while sipping on specialty coffee drinks.
Delicious! We started with Spicy Bloody Marys that had a great spice flavor compared to just adding Tabasco sauce heat like you often get. My husband had the stuffed French toast with a side of bacon. Of course I had to try a bite and it was delicious. He described it as eating dessert for breakfast. I ordered the jalapeno sausage scramble with potatoes and multi grain toast. The eggs were excellent on their own, but I still wanted hot sauce and was blown away that they brought 3 options of hot sauce to choose from. After testing all three I landed on the carrot habanero. It was flavorful with some heat. The potatoes were cooked to perfection and the toast was hearty… I did ask for more butter… because if I am going to eat bread I might as well make it worth it!

This was a 10/10 brunch experience. It was delightful and filling. Super happy with the zucchini bread GF waffle, broccoli eggs with perfect potatoes, and had to try a buttermilk pancake, which I could have ordered much more. A can’t miss spot when you’re in town and somewhere I’m sure we’ll go again the next time we’re in the area. The espresso over ice to-go was the right move to end our favorite meal of the weekend.

For July 4th weekend, we drove to Benton Harbor, Michigan. We stayed at the Hampton Inn as we had 2 dogs. Kids joined us and it was a lovely family weekend!! We had a lovely brunch at Mason jar cafe in Benton Harbor. Food was great and service was awesome! My son-in-law had pork ribs and he loved them! Plenty of vegetarian dishes as well. If you visit Benton Harbor, do check out this restaurant!!
Anjala S — Google review
Mason jar cafe is the best restaurant in the entire world. The renovations look great too! Hands down best food ever. So fresh. The staff is so friendly too. Today we got the jalapeños cheddar scramble and the pumpkin spice pancakes, with lattes. So good as always.
Steph B — Google review
We arrived right at closing, they were happily served us lunch. I had the roasted vegetable sandwich with fruit. It was honestly one of the best sandwiches I've had and I don't often like sandwiches. Everyone was friendly and happy even though we kept them late. The food came out quickly and was done to perfection. Did not look rushed. I will come to Benton harbor again just for this restaurant. Next time we'll arrive well before closing. Highly recommend!
Scott A — Google review
Overall, we enjoyed our brunch here a few days ago. My wife likes breakfast, but I prefer lunch so this restaurant really did have the best of both worlds. It’s more on the expensive side, and I was disappointed that my Coca-Cola was served in a can instead of in a refillable fountain drink cup. While the food quality is great, they do find ways to nickel and dime you here at this restaurant.
Drayton B — Google review
I'd give this place a 4.4 out of 5, really solid breakfast option and the place has a nice indoor and outdoor area for larger parties. Really good bang for your buck the prices are on the lower end for a breakfast place. A lot of local ingredients are used as well. The jalapeno sausage scramble was excellent and hit the spot. Would come again.

Nice hippie cafe. The facility is pretty large to accommodate quite a bit of people. I guess they expanded, tripling their size. They even have a dedicated bar. The layout is fun, with little "rooms" that have a few tables. The menu is cute with a lot of organic options. Not impressed by the lack of kids menu. There were plenty of families there that have kids, I dont see why they wouldn't have a little menu dedicated to kids choices to save from wasting so much food. Little kids cant eat the adult portions served. Not saying they serve large portions, but too much for a 6 year old. Also wasn't impressed by the hostesses not mentioning any of the specials that were sold out. They had a few items listed on their daily specials menu. We had plenty of time to wait to get our order taken. The item we selected was sold out, and she was uncertain about another. Like how much effort does kt take to know that. Overall, a great little hippie spot, fun atmosphere, small variety of coffee and alcoholic beverage and even cbd options. Disappointed by the lack of kid menu.

Infusco Coffee is a locally owned coffee roaster based in Sawyer and has a variety of regional coffees available for purchase. They have recently expanded their business to include The Market in St. Joe, which offers Iced Nutella lattes as well as Nitro Cold Brew on tap.
I had a nice cookie and some delicious pour over coffee at Infusco. The chocolate chip cookie had plenty of chocolate and was quite soft in a good way. The coffee was complex and had bright flavors of fruit and some sweetness. Overall, it was a good way to start the day, and I liked the style of the shop. The staff was quick and friendly too.

Smart move putting a billboard on 94! This was SO worth the stop! The coffee is fantastic (we got the brown sugar shaken espresso and the Vietnamese iced coffee). The space is very cool inside and out on their patio too - a nice place to stop, stretch your legs, and chill.

Found this spot while driving back home on I-94 after a long road trip. So glad I stopped! I grabbed a mocha and a latte—both were amazing. The atmosphere was awesome and the staff were truly friendly. Perfect fuel to finish the drive. Definitely worth the stop!

Been coming to Sawyer since the Greenbush folk brought the town back from the dead. This coffee shop was an awesome addition to the nu towny culture. Well done ya’ll props

The customer service at this coffee shop could use improvement—the staff hasn’t been particularly friendly during my visits. However, the coffee keeps me coming back! Their iced lattes are especially delicious—smooth, mellow, full-bodied, and with just the right hint of sweetness. It’s clear they know how to make a great cup of coffee. With friendlier baristas and warmer service, this place could easily become a local favorite.

This coffee place is sooo yummy!! I got a hazelnut and caramal iced latte and it's was so good! And it was the cutest little coffee shop, I could defiantly see myself there every day doing homework if I lived near there haha! And they had food that looked rlly good too! And the workers were so nice and helpful with any questions that I had! Also they had the cutest merch!! Didn't purchase any but might next time I'm in the area! If you are near that area, I definitely recommend you to check it out!

Stopped for an iced coffee on the way up to Michigan, service was excellent. Ordered and iced cold brew with vanilla syrup, hubs ordered a maple syrup latte and we bought a bag of coffee on the way out. The coffee is excellent!! Been drinking it all week and will be ordering it again. I believe the owner or manager took our order he was very nice explaining things to us! We’ll be back as we go up that way once a year to see some friends and family. Loved it thank you! ☺️

Looking for delicious coffee and this is one of my faves. Great location & blocks from the bluff for a perfect sunset. I personally prefer my coffee black hot or cold. Delicious to say the least. Decent service and great relaxing atmosphere. Overall I think this is worth multiple visits. Looking forward to coming back!

Walked in and waited a minute the lady said hi. I waited for her to finish making what she was making. Then she just started to make another one. It happen again. I asked if I could order. She said she had too many online orders. So I left. I was there waiting. How about we help people who are there.

I ordered a turkey and havarti on Asiago with cream cheese on both sides. There was no cream cheese on my bagel, and when I asked for cream cheese the girl working was very unkind and appeared too busy to help despite me being one of the only customers in the place. There was trash all over the ground and gloves were not worn. Will not be returning to this location

Quick coffee and breakfast on our way through town. Courteous staff, reasonable prices, indoor seating and ample parking.

Surely the barista knows when coffee stored in pumpers is getting tepid. Apparently they don't know or don't care. A recent experience ordered two medium cups and both were luke warm. The barista and counter person obviously wanted to be somewhere else and weren't trying to provide even subpar service. Sigh.

The Harbert Swedish Bakery is a popular bakery in Michigan that features classic American breakfast and lunch fare made with organic ingredients. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, no matter how busy it may be. Luisa's Cafe, located just down the street from the bakery, also offers delicious food made with organic ingredients.
Holy options! There are 3 different areas; one for breakfast and coffee, one for pastries and one for coffee. We stayed for breakfast. The Swedish pancakes were so good, they were very buttery - I felt they could’ve used a bit more jam, but so delicious. My husband had the carrot waffle - he said it had a lot of carrot flavor and had a nice crisp. The coffee was the perfect combo of sweet and strong.

This place has the best coffee ever!!! I’m not a coffee drinker but I guess I’ll be joining the club now. It was the best I’ve ever had. I went with 2 more friends from Chicago and they also both said this coffee tastes so different and smooth. Vivian was really pleasant and made us fill like home. While we were waiting for our order she gave us some cinnamon that was so fresh made and delicious. THANK YOU!!!
ArzetHVAC — Google review
Very nice place with delicious food but The portions are quite small for the price, but everything is good and tasty. Be prepared to be surprised by the wait times during peak hours. You order your food at the cash register first, and then wait for a table. This is quite strange and causes a lot of chaos. I don't know why the owners stick to this system. It's worth to mention that they have delicious pastry
Kacper123ful — Google review
We went in on a whim about an hour before they closed on a Saturday afternoon. The cake donuts were FANTASTIC! I wish we had bought more! Lol But, we also wanted to try the State of Michigan shaped cookies(one sugar and one ginger molasses) and a jumbo toffee cookie. Here are my humble opinions on each: Sugar Cookie - baked perfectly, soft, but didn't taste like real butter was used. I'm spoiled on my own homemade sugar cookies. Ginger Molasses - also perfectly baked and soft, but not spicy enough for me. I wanted more ginger and more molasses flavor. Both cookies - being part Yooper, I'm sad that da UP is missing, eh. 😉 Jumbo Toffee - the white chocolate chips inside take away from the toffee flavor. Plus, I've never really been a fan of white chocolate. Cake donuts - phenomenal in every way, and I want more already. 😁 Their hours of operation are limited, so be sure to check if they're open before going. We will definitely be back, thank you!
Suomirakastaa — Google review
This is an insanely good country bakery food experience. While it may seem crowded, the staff keeps things organized, yet you still feel like you're getting a personal experience. The bread and pasteries are all fresh and top-rate. Our breakfast was so good we came a second straight day, enjoying the quiche (OMG), carrot cake waffle and other indulgences. Friendly service and pleasant seating both inside and outside. Definitely a highlight of our trip.
Andy F — Google review
The salted toffee cookie is amazing. It was one of my favorite things to look forward to when visiting the area. However this year the service has not been nice. Earlier in the summer the cashier taking orders for dining room like 15 minutes to take an order from people in front of of us when it was jam packed. Revisited in Aug 24th. Not busy at all. My friend requested a box as she ordered multiple things and we were traveling. Employee, larger woman with multi colored hair scarf, literally rolled her eyes at her. Then the same cashier who took forever taking someones order before, says to my friend are you done with your order? I need to ring these people up. WHAT? Absolutely rude. Yeah it's busy there, I get it but I think it's been that way for years. So if you can handle the heat get out of the bakery. I don't know if I can go back after being treated poorly.
J R — Google review
I rarely review food because my standards are high. This place knocks it or off the park. Swedish pancakes with a giant dollop of butter. Thick bacon perfectly cooked. Anything from the bakery is out of sight. That’s hard to accomplish. Usually places are ‘known for their ___’. Known for everything is great here.
Kelly R — Google review
Wow such good pastries!! The chocolate chip cookie was amazing. I got two. The plain croissant was AMAZING. I wanted to go back but they were closed the days we were in Michigan. The workers were friendly and patient for us to order. Can’t wait to come back.

Nestled right on Whittaker Street in New Buffalo, David's Delicatessen & Coffee is the perfect spot to kickstart your day with a delightful morning latte or a scrumptious breakfast sandwich. This charming eatery captures the essence of local life, bustling with both weekend visitors and residents alike. The ambiance is inviting, featuring vintage ceiling tiles and quirky artwork that add character to the space.
We had heard that David’s Delicatessen and Coffee was the place to go for breakfast, so we decided to check it out. While the menu selection wasn’t very large, the Reuben breakfast was absolutely fantastic—definitely worth trying! For those looking for gluten-free options, the choices are limited, but my wife was able to enjoy either a gluten-free cake or brownie. The staff went above and beyond by accommodating her breakfast sandwich on a bed of lettuce instead of bread, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, it’s a charming spot with friendly service and good food. If you’re in the area, I’d recommend stopping by and experiencing this fine dining gem for yourself!

This cafe has a lot of options for an egg sandwich. The sandwiches were good but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again. When we went around 10 AM it was super crowded. The line moved pretty fast and food didn’t take too long accounting the people traffic.
Paulina P — Google review
Fantastic coffee shop and Delicatessen. The coffee shop was as good as Starbucks and I don't say that lightly. What sets this place apart is the unbelievably good Reuben sandwiches and pastries and other salads and goodies that they have. The seating is limited inside but there is a back room and they have seating out front and in a back patio if it's not raining or cold. Unfortunately there's only one bathroom which is a little bit tight for the number of people they have here.

This place is the perfect coffee shop on a Saturday morning. They are welcoming and and the environment is busy by cozy. I will definitely stop in anytime I am passing through.

Nestled in the heart of downtown St. Joe, Thornton's Hometown Cafe is a charming daytime spot that serves up classic diner fare for breakfast and lunch. With its cozy blue-and-white decor, this cafe offers a warm atmosphere where both locals and visitors can indulge in hearty meals like stuffed scrambles and oversized pancakes. The friendly staff ensures that your coffee cup never runs dry while you savor delicious dishes made with love, from fresh blueberries to savory gravies.
Excellent food, great staff, atmosphere is definitely old time hometown diner, worn but clean with a creative chef with a sense of humor. I took my “California kids” who were visiting to Thornton’s and my son and I having the same strange sense of humor, looked at the menu which had Mickey Mouse oancakes ( on children's menu) and a piglet dish listed with it but no piglet pancake - lightbulb! We asked our excellent waitress if the chef had a sense if humor and sent a drawing of a piglet pancake that we “wanted to order”. We expected either the wrath of a busy chef or laughter , but what we got!!! - well! Shocked delighted and amazed at the off the cuff creativity! Loved it! Thanks Thornton’s for a great morning!

Had breakfast here on 6.18.2025 and 6.19.2025 and was served by Jazmin on both occasions. She was an AMAZING and OUTSTANDING server and her positive and infectious enthusiasm each morning was very welcoming and inspiring. Jazmin even provided suggestions of places to explore, visit, and eat at during my travels along Lake Michigan, which I have included in this review. The food here at Thornton's is delicious and I will definitely stop here again the next time I am in Michigan. Highly recommend to anyone traveling through the area. ..... Jazmin. I want to personally thank you for your recommendations and your service! BRAVO and THANK YOU! I hope that your boss shows you this review so you can appreciate the pictures I took during my trip. I hope that you are still at Thornton's the next time I visit Michigan. All the best to you!

Used to love coming here with my grandma as a kid. Came here the other day with my mom for good memories and food, we arrived at 11 and left at 1230. An hour and 30 minutes of waiting for food. For context, we'd put our order in as soon as we got there. The waitress was very nice however, but told us about 40 minutes into the wait that our food had only just been put on the grill. Don't know what's going on in the kitchen, but it shouldn't be that for how few people were even there at that time. Usually, I am one to suck these things up. However, I am a type 1 diabetic, which my mother mentioned when we ordered. I usually give myself insulin for my food before I think it will arrive. If we had waited any longer I would have been too low and could've had a diabetic episode. No reason in the world that it should take that long, according to my partner who works in food service as a cook. Bad for them, they could get sued by people with disabilities like mine this way. People with medical-issues beware.

Located downtown Saint Joseph, Michigan, this restaurant reminds me of an old school cafe where all the locals hang. Great experience! The food was okay. I tried the biscuits and gravy, chili, grits, and one of the scrambles. The chili was my favorite, and the other menu items were okay. I do not recommend the grits as they were not cooked at all. The service was amazing! There is really great staff that helped us with the menu and kept the water cups full! I love their spirit! The atmosphere was okay. I enjoyed the pictures in the restaurant but the restaurant appeared dingy. However, this restaurant is a place where locals come to eat a solid dish, so it doesn't matter so much of the appearance. Overall, it was an okay experience at Thornton's Hometown Cafe!

The Froehlich's Bakery is a charming bakery that offers delicious pastries, breads, jams and jellies, as well as breakfast sandwiches. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the bakery has a wide variety of items to take home. It would be great if Froehlich's Bakery expanded their hours so more people could enjoy their delicious food!
The service and the baked items are wonderful! I wish I remember the name of the lady that went above and beyond, but my fiancé and I were inquiring about breads today & their bakery across the street that they own was closed but on the other side was open (where we were at). She went across the street & opened it up and had a huge tray of several different kind of breads. We were so impressed! She lifted that huge tray from across the street that was closed already to show us the bread… we bought two loaves plus the cookies. They really went above and beyond and we will keep coming back when we are in town. I was reading some of the other reviews and the one that had the low star rating was being a bit nit picky. It was only one week of the Best by date. That is not the same as an expiration date. That just means that it’s Best by a certain time, but it’s not bad. I could see if it was a year past that. Anyway, if you are out of town like we are, I would highly recommend coming here. Good quality ingredients and great friendly service!

I go to A LOT of bakeries all over Michigan , Ohio and Indiana. I'm trying to find the best cannoli scones + chocolate croissant. This is the best chocolate croissant I've EVER tasted. It was so good. I had to go back and buy four more.

This is a delightful little bakery, and both the atmosphere and the baked goods are nice. It’s a charming little space with professional staff. The baked goods are delicious. I sampled several different items. The croissant was buttery and flakey, and the French bread had some nice chew while retaining a soft interior. They have jams for sale too, and the Dutch apple pie jam is great on their bread. It turns every slice into a great dessert. The cookies were also scrumptious. Overall I think this is an excellent bakery.

Bring your appetite and patience. Over sized breakfast pastrys are at the ready. They have some other breakfast options as well. Of, course they have plenty of breakfast drink options. A cute little shop to peruse while you wait for your choice. They have a sit down deli across the street as well and plenty of outside seating to relax and enjoy your food and morning. I had the incredible biscuit, which lived up to its name. I really wanted the cinnamon roll as it also looked incredible.

Drew Logan is a phenomenal pastry chef. We hired Froehlich's for our wedding dessert and there was not one dessert left at the end of the night. We went with the chocolate cake, cheesecake, key lime glasses and Carrot Pineapple Rum Cake for our mini dessert options and the chocolate cake for our main two tier cake. He was very great to work with as well! I would recommend hiring Froehlich's for any pastry needs!

Went here after reading a review that they had a delicious breakfast wrap and it didn't disappoint! My husband loved their wrap (he preferred it without the olives) and I had the most delicious biscuit egg sandwich with a homemade biscuit to die for!! We went for breakfast here twice during our trip since it was delicious and they have outdoor tables where we could have our dog sit with us. Their chai latte is also delicious. The food does take a bit to prepare but they have items you can look at while you wait.

Five stars for this fantastic Bakery, and all things for the kitchen shop. We were visiting the New Buffalo area from Chicago and we are so happy we traveled to this lovely shop. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and quickly got us all of the jams and jellies and pastries and breads and take home pre-made Gourmet Quality Foods that we could pack in our car! We bought plenty of jars of jam so we can bring them home and give them as gifts.

The Blue Plate Cafe is a quaint cafe with made-to-order breakfast meals. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The cafe has a country feel, with water and utensils self serve, but they'll help you out if you forget.
This cafe was the best! A wonderful hidden gem along the road. Their customer service was awesome and their baked good we're spectacular. They even had a bunch of gluten free options. We are very happy we stopped here and would definitely do so again!

Great food and amazing service. Had the blue plate special omelette today and was excellent. Highly suggest this place for breakfast.

The prices were pretty salty. We stopped here for breakfast on our way through. If you do not require a special diet this is not the place for you. The kids all hated the red white and blue pancakes. They tasted like they were made with sugar alternatives. The milk was served warm (yuck). The only person to eat their meal required gluten and dairy free. We wasted over $50 to serve 5 plates that were barely touched. Also don’t tip ahead of time because you clear and clean your own table. I definitely would not recommend.
Lacy S — Google review
I was really expecting to be blown away by this place just from the look and feel of it, but this was not the case. When we first walked in, we were not greeted at all except with stares of what felt like annoyance. We loved the atmosphere of the dining area. It felt very cozy and warm. The menu was a little hard to follow, but there were plenty of options that sounded tasty. Orders had to be placed at the counter at the front of the restaurant, and since I wasn't going to drag my whole family back up, I had to awkwardly read off of a list of all our orders. I did really appreciate that I was able to modify a smoothie to not include yogurt, and that the default milk in the coffee is not cow's milk. Huge pluses. When the food was delivered, it was done without utensils or being told where we could find them, which was a little odd. However, we did feel better about the high cost of the meal when we saw the generous portion sizes and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. There were no to-go boxes to wrap up what we didn't finish, which was again odd. The thing that left the worst taste in my mouth and ultimately is the reason we won't be back is that when we went to pay, gratuity had already been selected at 20%. I've never seen this before. For unfriendly, largely self-service in which we had to get our own water, utensils, booster seat, etc., it is ridiculous that 20% would be the default. It was honestly insulting.
Katie M — Google review
What happened to this place? It was once a great place with good service and wholesome food. What a huge disappointment we had with our dining experience this morning. Everything is now self service, yet our credit card receipt showed an added 20 percent. The greeter was disinterested and immature. Our coffee cups were blue tin cups with rust spots on the edges. My eggs were undercooked. The jam was sugar laden. The potato's had an unusual and an uncomplimentary Seasoning and the bacon tasted like it was soaked in salt. We were so unhappy we just wanted to get out of there so I asked for some "to go" cups for our coffee. The young greeter said "no they could not give us cups." I told her it was the least they could do for us since our bill was 38.00 for coffee, bacon and eggs. She was adamant about the cups. We actually got into a bit of a shouting match which was a ridiculous move on their part , since there were two other customers in the restaurant. The two young girls running things need some serious cooking and hospitality lessons. I will never go back there again. Thumbs down!
Terry R — Google review
The breakfast sandwiches were tasty, but kind of pricey for a hole-in-the-wall type place. $5 for a side of bacon? That's a little nuts to me. We came because it was father's day, and everywhere else was a 30-45 minute wait. Decent place, but not my first choice.
Meg O — Google review
The food was super tasty, and so was the coffee. However, my family thought it was a bit overpriced for what you get. The most negative event was when my mother asked for a to go cup for her coffee as we were leaving. She was told there would be a charge for putting her unfinished cup of coffee in a to go cup. So that was a bit strange, especially considering it was a normal hot cup of house coffee (and 3 dollars!) that she had to pour herself. But overall the food was great and the service was pretty okay too. The cafe also had a great, very chill atmosphere.

Broad Street Cafe is a charming establishment located in a former firehouse, offering a variety of options including espresso, pastries, hot and cold sandwiches, and bagels. Visitors can enjoy a delightful selection of sandwiches such as the Panini Club or indulge in a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel with coffee. The cafe is praised for its friendly staff and delicious menu at reasonable prices.
Stopped here on our last morning visiting St Joe. Wish we would have come here first day! Everything bagel sandwiches with egg and sausage were delicious. Got them and a couple coffees to go and walked to the beach. Very reasonably priced! It was hot in the restaurant so we were more comfortable eating outside.

Overall, this place has great energy and great food and drinks highly recommend visiting this place. Me and my girlfriend came here from out of town from Columbus Ohio. We will definitely be visiting again when we come back in town. The cashier was super super Sweet and made our drinks very efficiently and deliciously the girl in a burgundy/maroon shirt was also super sweet and polite and made our food very very good and very very quick Overall give this place a 10 out of 10 rating maybe an 11 out of 10 me and my girlfriend ordered a plain bagel with sausage, egg and cheese and a salt bagel with cream cheese and a bell pepper soup with two coffees man it was so good

the bagels are so fantastic that we went here two days in a row. definitely recommend the sausage, egg, and cheese on a bagel with cream cheese! the cafe is kind of cafeteria style where you order and go down the line to get a coffee and pay for your food but it all moves efficiently.

I had coffee. I didn't eat any food, but it all looked delightful. I had a cherry chocolate latte. It was very good. I love the Broad Street Cafe. It isn't huge, but I love the family atmosphere. There is enough room for people to have a private conversation without worrying that someone else will over hear, but still small enough to engage with conversation with others.

If you're on the lookout for a delightful dining experience, Panera Bread is a must-visit. This charming bakery-cafe chain specializes in an array of freshly baked breads, scrumptious pastries, and hearty sandwiches that cater to all tastes. Located conveniently at 3260 Niles Road in St. Joseph, Michigan, it’s the perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner—whether you choose to dine in or grab something to go.
Stopped by for lunch today on the way from Chicago. Honestly, after seeing the bad reviews, I didn’t expect much from this place — but everything turned out great! Friendly staff, it was clean inside. I used the self-service kiosk to place my order, and all special requests — like a sandwich without sauce or onions — were followed perfectly. We had a good meal and continued our trip home. Really liked it!
Anna B — Google review
Smelled like a McDonald’s play place. I’ve never been to a Panera that doesn’t smell like fresh baked bread. But the entire place had the weirdest stale old smell. All the light yellow/tan backrests for the booths were stained brownish gray where people sit. The soda had an off taste no matter which one I chose. They were out of their iced green tea. And lastly even though there was a person up front he refused to take my husbands order or even acknowledge him and chose to just stack up the buzzer things instead. Very odd place. Won’t be coming back.
Hannah P — Google review
I haven’t been to this Panera in a while, but I have to say, I don’t think I have ever seen someone take so much pride in his job in customer service. Nate took our order (I think that was his name - he was a tall younger guy), and even my kids left saying he was the nicest guy. My kids were a little indecisive and he patiently explained menu items to them, and he made a recommendation to help me save money on the order. He made polite conversation with my kids and I, and he smiled the entire time like he was waiting to talk to us about the Panera menu all day. He even came by our table while we were eating to see how we liked everything and jokes with my kids. He didn’t have to do that because he’s not a waiter, but he treated us like we were at a 5 star restaurant. Everyone should be so lucky to have a Nate in their staff. He was outstanding.
Jennifer W — Google review
I am not a fan of the automation at Panera. You place your order yourself and pick up your own food. I had a buzzer to tell me when my food was ready, but I saw my food sitting at the pick up area for three or four minutes-so I took it..and my buzzer never went off. Also, since no one is working at the register… It seems like the restaurant should be very clean with the extra staff working in those areas… But as you can see in the pictures, things were kind of messy. But I sure love the French onion soup and as long as they continue serving it very hot, I will probably continue to eat it - even though I am unhappy about the new way I have to order!
Danicajhey — Google review
Stopped here a little after lunch time for a quick bite while driving through Michigan. We ordered on the app and set the pickup time for 20 minutes later and didn’t get our food until 20 minutes after our designated time. Food tasted good, but we were given a different cookie than what was ordered and no one discussed this change with us. Also, don’t order the Italian Market salad if you’re not planning to dine in. The soppressata is left in large slices and not easy to eat.
Meredith M — Google review
Writing a review because I have gotten flip flop cookies since I got my first job. This is the worst, I repeat the worst flip flop cookie I have ever seen and it cost me $3. I could get a better looking cookie from a kid at a flea market.
Connor S — Google review
Maybe it is the location, but they always seem to struggle to have a clean restaurant. The food was good and the person taking our order was very nice. However, no toweling in the restroom, drink service area was messy. And, I had to correct 2 of our orders. They were busy, but just always seems to be a wee bit messy whenever I stop in.

Paul Saber, Manna CEO - Penny wise, pound foolish. He’s done it again. Out with the trustworthy SOLO coffee lids that always stay on. In with the cheaper no-name lids that must save a few cents. This morning I VERY carefully applied the lid to my coffee. A few minutes later, as I exited my car the cheap lid popped off. I got a major “coffee bath” in my lap and coffee all around the driver’s side of my car’s interior. The very same “bath” happened to me the last time Paul’s Panera went to no-name lids a few years ago. The same mistake twice. Penny wise, pound foolish.

The Chocolate Cafe in Downtown St Joseph is a must-visit for chocolate lovers of all kinds. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere, while the impeccable presentation and amazing drinks set it apart. Although pets are not allowed inside, outdoor seating is available. Visitors praise the prompt and attentive service, with special mention of the helpful and patient staff. The cafe offers a variety of desserts, including delicious ice cream and wonderful cheesecake at great value.
What a great little shop. They have a grill that looks inviting, but we were there for treats. The hot chocolate is phenomenal. It is really rich and the first drink didn't scald my mouth like many experiences with hot chocolate elsewhere. Plenty of chocolate options, fudge, and ice cream.

Excellent shop with plenty delicious baked goods and drinks to make your day better. My first visit I enjoyed an iced mocha and it was delicious. The service was impeccable and I absolutely loved the atmosphere. The windows bring in the light so you can relax and enjoy reading, working or just watch people walk by. Being on the corner gains a lot of exposure and makes it easy to get in and out. Definitely recommend to others who love cafes. Looking forward to my next visit.

I went there looking for a drink and discovered a wonderful variety of chocolates and snacks. They were offering a pumpkin spice sample, which was absolutely delicious. I got a dark chocolate drink to go, it smelled amazing and was such a treat. This place not only smelled delicious but also looked cozy. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. I had such a great experience that I decided to come back the next day with my boyfriend so he could enjoy it too.

I stopped by for a bite to eat and had a good time. The staff was attentive and served me quickly, and there were lots of great desserts to try. I ordered a slice of the New York cheesecake with a cafe au lait, and both were excellent. The coffee was smooth enough not to need any sweetener, and the cheesecake was rich. It was a bit pricey, but it tasted great. The space was roomy but warm, and had great views of the streets.

Chocolate Cafe is a total gem! This place is so much more than just a cafe — it’s a full-on dessert experience. Everything is large, indulgent, and made with care. The unique combinations like cherries, chocolate, and cheesecake are rich, creative, and absolutely delicious. Their fresh-made coffee pairs perfectly with the treats, and the ice cream is a must-try — creamy, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The vibe is warm and welcoming, and the staff could not have been friendlier. Service was fast, helpful, and genuine. Considering it’s located in a busy downtown area, the pricing is surprisingly affordable — you get a lot of quality for what you pay. Definitely worth a visit whether you’re a local or just passing through. A special place for anyone who loves desserts done right.

we truly enjoyed our time here!! our first experience and it was awesome and so was the taste and smells around us!!! Coffee, Chocolate, Ice Cream and all the goodies a beach town needs!! The only advice we have for the owners/management is when very busy keep someone nearby watching the not so honest customers who we watched take advantage of your hard working staff!! Otherwise such a great night out with my family and we will back for so much more soon!!!!
Steven M — Google review
We have frequented this cafe on numerous occasions. Sometimes the wait is ridiculous, not because of the line but rather the very slow extra chatty staff. Other times we are in and out with a pleasant experience, each time varies. Now for the delicacies; the cheesecake though pricey is very much worth it, the chocolate dipped fork is a nice touch. The hot chocolate is my husbands favorite and he raves over it, for me it gives a stomach ache from how sweet and heavy it is. Definitely true hot chocolate, no cheap mix here. The atmosphere is pleasant, with many windows of the corner shop making for a bright and sometimes entertaining time. Pay to park or walk a short ways. Overall, I recommended visiting.

Hardly any ice cream. One ice cream freezer was empty and the other had 5 flavors with hardly anything in them. Was told there was no caramel for a Sunday, but suddenly another worker found some. Mmmmmmm. The place had a lot of customers. Only one person trying to wait on a lot of people, finally another person came out of who knows where. We had ONLY one out of 4 decide to get anything. The one got a caramel Sunday took a few bites and said it was not good and trashed it. Very BAD service. We were visiting from Tennessee and we have been here at the Cafe before, but WOW what a disappointment.

We will only do grab and go here from now on. We foolishly ordered a sandwich for the first time and 42 minutes later still no sandwich. But the cold brew was good. And I had plenty of time to write this review. Edit: 45 minutes for a sandwich and if you order at the kiosk it tells you 30-35 minutes wait. When we arrived we walked straight to the register to order, no one ahead of us in line so we didn’t even notice the kiosk. Sandwich was pretty good.

We always love stopping by this charming grocery/coffee/deli shop whenever we’re in the area and the food never disappoints. I understand it can get busy, but the shop is understaffed. Will not be coming back.

I went to Whistle Stop on two separate occasions while passing through the area - once with a couple friends, and once with a large group (9 people). Ashley and the Whistle Stop team were fabulous in helping our group order ahead of time and having our order ready in a timely fashion. The food is fresh and delicious! There is not a lot of indoor seating, so I would probably only go here if it is a nice day or I am planning to grab and go, but both times, I enjoyed sitting at the picnic tables in front of the restaurant with my group. Also, it is a bummer there is only a port-a-potty for a bathroom, but we made it work! Thank you, Whistle Stop, for making our trip to MI even more fabulous with your wonderful lunch items and treats!

Black Currant Bakehouse is a bakery that provides amazing desserts and coffee. They are great for weddings because they have a variety of flavors and options. They also offer vegan and gluten-free options.
Katie and Black Currant catered our dessert table for our wedding in August. I would give her more stars if I could. Everyone has been to a wedding where the dessert has been less than impressive….well this was not the case with Katie’s desserts. We got compliment after compliment. Our only regret was not ordering more because our dessert table was completely empty within 30 minutes. Even the tasting was so much fun, and we were given so many samples we couldn’t even finish. Her flavors, options, and professionalism are unmatched. She was so easy to work with. Thank you so much!!

I was so happy with our cake and it was genuinely one of the most delicious and beautiful pieces I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. Couldn't have asked for a better dessert experience for our wedding - I highly recommend Black Currant Bakehouse if you want a phenomenal cake and phenomenal experience. Thank you so much for giving us the best, most beautiful wedding dessert, and we can't wait to come get some more sweets when we're in the area next.

We absolutely love this little bakery here. It gets slammed in the summertime with a line out the door, but for good reason. They have a big selection of donuts, muffins, cookies/brownies, quiches, cakes, and more (including a gf / vegan pastry option). They also have some delicious sandwiches that they serve after 11am, and their coffee options are great too. We love to come back here!

Stopped in for a sandwich, their power was out so unavailable. Not a problem! I grabbed a slice of vegan coffee cake, and truthfully I have never had something like this before. Unsure what they use, however there was more oil residue than anything ): Tried to eat it but it turned my stomach due to this. Including a photo of the oil soaked parchment paper and box. Not sure if I just got a bad batch or if this is their norm, however have never had a vegan/GF product like this before. The person at the counter that greeted me was very kind though so points for that.

Very small selection of cookies, donuts and mini cupcakes is all this place had. It was a disappointment, but I decided to get a cookie. I inquired about anything like a croissant or plain donut stating I wanted to give my pup, who was in the car, a treat. The worker, I think owner, acted offended that I would give any of her superior bakery goods to a dog. Honestly, she should be honored that I wanted to share her baked goods with my fur baby.vs acting offended. I would not recommend this store based on the tiny selection, the high prices and mostly, her superior attitude.

Really great bakery just off 94 with delicious baked goods, great coffee. Thats the good news....now the Not so good! The flow in the bakery is terrrible 1. The staff dont direct the flow 2. Patrons stand in front of the baked goods case so no one behind them can view if asked next for their order. 3. To get coffee you need to have given your baked goods order 4. The staff are not organized 5. They cantbreak a large cash bill when they first open and finally the door to the rest room is very dirty amd no one has cleaned it in months! A+ on the bakery items, D- on the other items! Figure out how to serve your customers more efficiently and the clean the rest room door!

I have been in to eat here probably 10 times in the last 3 weeks. Absolutely delish. I am celiac so I have to be careful of where I eat. I have never gotten sick after eating here. The broccoli cheddar soup is to die for and you can’t go wrong with any of the sandwiches. Highly recomend.

This is my favorite coffee shop to stop at when I am in town. It has a great atmosphere, great service, and most importantly, excellent coffee. It is a place where you can grab a cup of coffee and go, or you can hang out for a while. They even have a selection of books and games for you if you wish to use them. It's definitely a place to go if you are in the area. I will continue to keep coming back.

Was out and about running errands, and found myself especially hungry yesterday morning, so I stopped into this cute little spot by the name of Union Coffee House & Cafe. Feeling the need for a pick-me-up, I opted for some coffee as well as a bite to eat. Today, I picked up The Love Affair latte, which has in addition to espresso has vanilla, almond, and nutmeg. With the vanilla and almond being more subtle flavors in the drink, it really allows the space for the nutmeg to be the star of the show in this delicious love triangle. Used oat milk for the base to make this a wonderful plant-based option. In between sips, I also enjoyed a carrot muffin, baked to soft perfection. For a vegan muffin, it was actually one of the better ones I've had. Oftentimes they can be a bit dry, but this little pastry was baked to perfection. With an earthy sweetness from the carrot, this muffin paired very well with The Love Affair for a great start to my day. Looking forward to stopping in again!

Stopped in twice while visiting MI. My iced mocha with oat milk hit the spot! Also ordered the black bean avo toast and vegan carrot muffin, both delicious! I loved the interior and exterior of the building; it once operated as a bank. Cool vibes. Friendly staff.

This is the food you expect in a 5 star fancy cafe. The shop is adorable. The staff is friendly and the food omg 🤌. We also ordered iced mountain mint mocha coffee that was amazing as well. We found this place down from our hotel and we were just looking for a quick bite during our travels. The interior isn't much to look at but the food was good, the service was on point, and the prices were right. Sometimes simple is better.

Not terrible, but not exactly great either. Everything was cooked well, but not really seasoned. It seemed like there was only 3 people working, even with 2 sections and something like 24 tables. One host, one waiter/waitress, and a cook. I can see how they have regulars, but if you're only in town for a day or two, dont feel like you HAVE to make time for it The "Cash preferred" sign at the door really gave off "mob front" vibes

Make sure you add the Crimson Cafe to your list of places to get a good dinner, with great service. There is a good selection of options on the menu to choose from with an all day breakfast option and daily features from lunch and dinner along with dessert. I ordered a bleu burger with fries. The burger was amazing good and the fries were nice and crispy on the outside with a nice soft center. To drink was a perfectly brewed glass of iced tea. I decided to have dessert tonight and tried the pumpkin swirl cheesecake. This was delicious and tasted just like pumpkin pie. Its a definitely return for me so make sure you check them out

This place is amazing! One of the best in St. Joe/Benton Harbor for sure. [Atmosphere] A neat little cafe. Similar color scheme to a 5 guys. Really super clean and spotless, perfect for families or friends. I really love the setting, really cozy and warm. It's run by a family (wife is hostess, husband is chef, kids help out too) [Food] FANTASTIC is the best way to describe it. I got the bang bang shrimp appetizer (delicious!), the shrimp sandwich (superb!) with fries (crisped and seasoned so well!). I can't wait to come back to try more of the menu! Food: 3/5 (Decent food!) Service: 4/5 (Lovely staff) Atmosphere: 4/5 (Older setting) Today, I experienced Nikki's Cafe. Located in Berrien Springs, Michigan, Nikki's Cafe is a low-key, down to earth Cafe. There was a ton of history in this restaurant. The food was okay. I enjoyed the eggs, grilled onions, chopped steak, and grits. The menu items were not bad in pricing. To my surprise, an older restaurant like this serves vegan and vegetarian food. It showed they are serving all foodies. The service was great! I appreciate the hospitality and the way they treat their customers. The atmosphere appeared to gear toward an older crowd, but the restaurant was clean and homey. There were a lot of black and white pictures on the wall, and the restaurant did not appear to be updated in years. Nikki's Cafe was good overall. The cafe only takes cash only. I'm grateful for the experience!

DELICIOUS!!! Beyond reasonable prices. All pictured was $30 total. One of the best spinach and feta omelettes I've ever had. The country fried steak was so tender and delicious. That giant bowl of hearty oatmeal with bananas, blueberries and pecans... what a treat! Served with brown sugar and milk. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. No masks worn by staff or patrons and it's cash only at this time. We will definitely be back!

There is a lot of food for the price. The male server that seated us was awesome, unlike the female who basically thru the water on our table and stormed away without a hello, or she would be right back. Her face said it all, Grumpy and Smirky looking and walked about like she was better than everyone in there. We will not go back there again.

**Update May 28, 2023 Had the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast Special today, with fried eggs. So good! My friend ordered the strawberry pancakes. Big as the dinner plate, topped with real strawberry sauce. Next time he'll order two instead of three. It was a lot of food! Service was a little slower than usual, but the food was worth the wait. 🙂 --Nikki's is a nice little diner. The food is good, attractive decor, good location. Phone lines are down, and it is cash only now. Hours posted on window, but it hadn't always been open when I tried. Otherwise, it's a good spot, beloved by locals, many of whom use the back entry.

Clifford's Coffee Canal is a warm and laid-back coffee shop that offers a variety of espresso drinks, breakfast, and lunch sandwiches. The portions of food are decent and tasty, making it an awesome place to relax with great views and a cool atmosphere. With outdoor seating by the canal, guests can enjoy the ambiance but should be mindful of bees due to the abundance of flowers. The service is exceptional, with friendly staff providing a pleasant experience.
Super adorable coffee shop with a solid offering of food items. It is owned by a couple that lives on the property and clearly put a lot of love into the place. It definitely has a vibe- full of plants and cages of birds and unique furniture and vibrant paintings. There’s only a few parking spots but you can find a lot down the block. Seating out back on a patio that’s right on the water (slight fishy smell when we were there). Free pet rocks for the kids. :)

Stellar all around. The owners have curated various lovely pieces of art, including stained glass windows. As a plant lover myself, I adored being surrounded by greenery, especially outside. Their multi level patio area sits along the water, adding to the nature. The food, baked goods and coffee were all great, and the young employees working there were adorable and super nice. Well done, can’t wait to go back.

Complete underwhelming experience. Been here a few times because we love the ambiance, that said, this visit was a reminder that atmosphere only goes so far if the experience doesn’t match. The younger staff has always been great, friendly, attentive, and they usually make the coffee for you and bring it to your table. This time, the older gentleman at the front took our order and seemed less than interested in providing good service. I ordered an iced coffee with creamer… Instead of preparing the overpriced coffee for you, there was an uncovered metal bowl of half-and-half sitting out for self service. Not exactly the warm, thoughtful service we’ve had before… We also decided to try the avocado toast for the first time… and probably the last. It was barely toasted sliced bread with avocado that was cut like a child’s meal. No seasoning, no garnish, no creativity. At $12.50 (plus $3.50 to add an egg), it felt more like something you’d throw together at home than a menu-worthy dish, especially at that price point. One of the younger staff members did end up bringing some seasoning and sliced tomato to try to recover the sad $16 sliced toast. Details matter, and that’s what keeps people coming back. This time it was a dud.

From the moment you see the building, you’re drawn in by its beauty and lush greenery. As you explore more, there is a feeling that every party there is having their own fun and unique experience. I’m so happy to we decided to visit and was pleasantly surprised with the high quality scratch cooking food. Don’t pass on the sweet potato tacos, we added the chorizo and avocado to balance it out. The Ken’s #2 omelet was as hearty as it sounds from the menu description. Expect a line, though it goes quickly. Add Clifford’s to your list of spots you can’t miss when enjoying the west side of Michigan.

Cute ambiance, but was left underwhelmed by the baked goods. The cherry buttercream pie was good with just the right amount of tart, but the coconut cake was heavy and overly sweet; the peanut butter bar wasn't better than what you can make from a store bought peanut butter bar mix. Turnover was delightfully flaky, but all in all, probably won't go back. Much prefer the lighter cake texture from The Flour Shop down the road.

Red Coach Donuts is a popular spot in Stevensville, known for its wide variety of gourmet donuts and creative flavors. The Lemon Meringue donut is a favorite among customers for its perfect balance of sweetness and custard filling. Despite the slightly higher prices, visitors find the donuts to be worth every penny. The Creme Brulee donut, a monthly special, has garnered rave reviews and left patrons wanting more.
I consider myself a true donut connoisseur. Many of our family vacations are planned around trying new donut spots. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The establishment was clean and the donuts... OMG! The tiger tail and apple fritter were some of THE BEST donuts I've ever had! And my husband really enjoyed the cherry cream duo stating it was one of the best donuts he had ever had as well. All of the donuts we selected were fresh, flavorful, and decently sized. I am so glad we discovered this place on our recent vacation. I cannot say enough good things. I highly recommend the donuts at Red Coach!

So glad to have found this place. I frequently travel from Chicago to SE Michigan and donuts are an important part of that trip. I don't know how I've missed this place for seven years, but now it's going to be a regular stop. I LOVE how they use the local produce for their donuts. When I was there, a peach fritter was the donut of the day. I overheard someone explaining that they make a puree from local peaches - which is a great way to concentrate the flavor. There are three categories; Regular Donuts, Specialty Donuts and Pastries. They are nicely separated on the display and priced accordingly. A lot of thought, effort and skill goes into these creations. It is appreciated. I opted for a cherry fritter and a bear claw - They were both amazing. The staff was friendly and the building is really nice. This will definitely be a regular stop now - I just have to remember that they're not open on Monday or Tuesday.

The pricing isn't cheap, but the donuts are gourmet and worth every penny. I appreciated the help in picking donuts from the staff. You can truly taste the difference from cheap or third-party donut shops. Parking is a little tight, but people were coming and going, which created available parking. All in all, beautiful experience!

Starbucks, a coffeehouse chain based in Seattle, is renowned for its distinctive roasts, light snacks, and availability of WiFi. The cafe seating area at Martin's grocery store, situated near Starbucks, offers a pleasant and peaceful environment to enjoy your coffee while engaging in conversation, reading a book, or working remotely. It surpasses the new Stevensville location in terms of quality. Moreover, their delightful drink specials during holidays are truly exceptional and the coffee itself is remarkably outstanding.
I haven't bought a to-go coffee in over 6 years I brew my own always Starbucks coffee ☕...always grind it myself stopped in to get a pound of Simatra... Asked for something bold and fresh... She gave me something mild lol whatever's That's why I brew my own.. expensive but I guess you pay for convenience

A cashier with straightened curly hair in a bun (I believe her hat said Hudson or something similar?) ignored me by playing on her phone before another woman had to come to the register to take my order. The second woman was very sweet and kind, but because of that first cashier I will not come back. That behavior was appalling and absolutely rude. Every time I would glance over, she would just be on her phone instead of helping her coworkers with the line. If someone doesn't want to work I believe they should just stay home.

The girl didn’t listen to my order when I ordered and gave me something totally different? I get the same coffee every time and it was no where close to what I ask for.. and the girl making the drinks were very rude !

This Starbucks is really the only option near us unless we want to drive to Stevensville, but it's pretty awesome and accessible despite being inside a grocery store. The staff is always friendly and my drink is always on the ready when I get there.
Melanie P — Google review
The cashier was constantly in her phone in a massive rush. Multiple times at that. Took my group of 4, 15 minutes to order and 20 minutes waiting for it to be completed. They also made the order incorrectly and all items came out several minutes apart. I watched multiple just decide to leave instead of standing there waiting. No refund or anything. I’m sorry but this is unacceptable to be mid rush and whip your phone out to send a text not do your job correctly

Great customer service, fast drive through. Love the crafted press-it’s the only coffee I order here after tasting it. The vegan flatbread sandwich is SO good you wouldn’t guess it’s vegan.

THOSE WITH DIETARY RESTRICTIONS LIKE ME, BEWARE!! I went through the drive thru today just before 10am to grab a coffee and some breakfast for myself and my husband. Upon looking at the menu, I noticed right away that 95% of the breakfast sandwiches have meat. I have dietary restrictions due to religion and so I asked if the sandwiches were pre-made or assembled upon ordering. I ended up only ordering my husband a sandwich, as I cannot consume pork. As I was getting ready to pull away from the speaker, I heard both employees that were wearing headsets laughing at me over the speaker and making fun of me. When I got to the window to pay, the girl in the black and white flannel was giving me snide looks. I then paid, waited for my coffee and husband's sandwich. Right before I drove away, I let the girl know that I could hear her and her coworker laughing at me over the speaker and making fun of me because of my dietary restrictions. All she had to say was "ooh sorry". There was no empathy and it was not genuine or sincere. These are the kind of people that shouldn't work in customer service, or at the very least the food service industry! I will pray for them to be more accepting of people's differences in the future. 🙏

First and last time going to this location. It’s amazing how poor customer service can really put one off of going to a place. I was charged via the mobile app for a coffee that I was refused. I was able to provide evidence for my purchase but because of some system error on their part, they never received a sticker in their store…and a very unhelpful and rude woman at the store refused to help me, not even as a courtesy for their technical issue (considering I literally showed my bank charge to her as well). She said she’s got no idea where the money went to, no idea what I’m talking about (clearly the charge says caribou coffee and matches the app) and she doesn’t owe me anything, not even with my evidence of purchase just moments prior. I have to now take this up with my bank to let them know of the fraudulent charge by this business and hopefully get my money back that way. Unfortunately, this is how you promptly lose customers and referrals, Caribou..

Our family loves this place and has been coming for years when we are in the area on vacation. We don’t have Caribou’s near us, so it’s always a treat! This trip we visited twice, and both times I was impressed by the friendliness of the baristas. They are genuinely kind and seem to enjoy working there.

People who are in a rush to get to work do not want to wait an extra 15 minutes for a drink they pre-ordered online. The younger workers can show each other pictures from their phones and chit chat all morning long but no drinks are coming out. Please do not let two teenagers run the store in the morning!! It's crazy when you know your drink is going to take too long based on who you see behind the counter...

Waited 20 minutes for my coffee and then they handed me a nasty, watered down coffee. Didn’t have another 20 minutes to wait for a new coffee or my money back. Won’t be returning. Multiple other customers were standing around also complaining about the wait. I also overheard the baristas loudly discussing how they are getting sick, while handling peoples drinks. Disgusted and disappointed in my experience today is an understatement. Here’s my “coffee” that was supposed to be an iced sugar cookie latte. I order it frequently from other locations so I know what it should look and taste like.

Caleb is the best barista, when he is there and serving me I know my drink will be made correctly! Thank you for the great customer service and for always making my drinks delicious and accurate. Give this guy a raise and promotion

Why is it when my girl isn't here i can't ever be on time for work. I order ahead a half hr before i arrive. Your employee Caleb is absolutely more concerned with his buddies then he is his job. When I see he's working I literally don't even order. There's one girl. One. That can get my order right and actually in a timely manner. I'm gunna get her name to shout her out bc the rest of the employees need to get it together. Slowest service ever and they do not care I wrote a review and actually deleted it bc i hate writing bad reviews. But as I stand here and look at my coffee I ordered sitting behind the counter but no one gives it to me This starbucks has the ABSOLUTE WORSR EMPLOYEES I cant even pre-order and get to work on time
Kristyn J — Google review
Drink was made wrong and I was standing in the store for over 14 minutes until I had to ask them where my order was to find out it had been sitting on the table hidden off to the side the whole time. They have two different sections for in-store orders and online orders but no clear indication. Not once was I addressed or asked about my order or welcome to the store during that time. I haven't got Starbucks from this location in months and I don't plan on returning.

This Italian sweet shop and diner is a gem! The restaurant is beautifully restored with a classic menu of Italian sandwiches and small pizza. They also have gelato and dessert. If you're out towards Buchanan are you coming to the Farmers Market it's across the street!

There was amazing. The atmosphere was quaint and welcoming. The booths were warm and allowed for some privacy. The meatball sub was delicious. The prices are fair. The option of gelato or ice cream is refreshing when many locations with Italian fare only focus on one or the other. The staff or personable and checked on us multiple times. The decor is vibrant and interesting. This is a great spot to bring families or for date night.

🌟 A Wonderful Dining Experience at The Sweet Shop! 🍽️ We recently had the pleasure of visiting The Sweet Shop for lunch, and it was an experience we thoroughly enjoyed! From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and a friendly demeanor, making us feel right at home. Their hospitality added an extra touch of charm to our visit. 👋😊 The Sweet Shop is not just a place to indulge in delicious food; it's also a haven for history enthusiasts. The building itself exudes a delightful charm, with its 1930s ambiance and original soda bar. We couldn't resist exploring the history of this establishment, and it was fascinating to learn about the stories and memories associated with it. 🏰🍔 When it comes to the menu, The Sweet Shop offers a wide range of delectable options at decent prices. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food. Our lunch choices, the Chicken Bacon and Pesto Sub and the Meatball Marinara Sub, were made to order and bursting with flavor. Every bite was a delight for our taste buds! And, of course, we couldn't resist trying their famous Cannoli for dessert, which was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. 🍕🍨 Overall, our experience at The Sweet Shop was exceptional, and we will definitely be returning in the future. The combination of friendly staff, delicious food, and the charming ambiance makes it a must-visit for anyone in the area. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by and enjoy the delightful experience that The Sweet Shop has to offer. You won't be disappointed! 🌈🍰 #TheSweetShop #CharmingDiner #FriendlyStaff #DeliciousFood #HistoricalGem #MustVisit

Went there for the first time, wanting ice cream, and looking to support downtown during the construction. We walked in, unsure of the menu. After a couple of moments of looking around, a guy finally said "you want food or treats?" Handed us a menu. Never a smile or even a particularly welcoming attitude. Then, paying for $13 worth of ice cream, he said he wouldn't break a 20 dollar bill. Um...what? I would have left right then, but my husband dug in his wallet and found the change. After all that, the ice cream was just acceptable. A bit grainy, disappointing. Ah well. We tried. This response from the owner makes no sense. I am not posting anonymously, I had no children with me, and made only one $13 purchase. I am actually dropping this review from 2 stars to one because of this. He is flat out lying in response to a bad review.

Stopped by while nearby Buchanan. The interior was a wonderful old school soda fountain vibe. We had pizza, subs, and gelato. All were made with high quality ingredients, very tasty! Give these guys a try and you won’t be disappointed!

The food at Cafe Italiano at the Sweet Shop was outstanding. We ordered the special artisanal pasta, a pizza, and a cannoli. The pasta and meatballs lived up to my husband’s high standards as a cook that makes his own sauce and meatballs. He cleaned the plate. The Italian Veggies Pizza Bianca was the perfect size (dinner plate) and loaded with mouth watering toppings. We took the cannoli and enjoyed it hours later with coffee. The pastry had the perfect crunch and the filling not too sweet and delicious. The staff are very friendly and attentive. There was a hiccup which delayed my pizza. They were honest, apologetic, and went out of their way to make up for the problem. Kudos to the whole staff for how they handled this!

Ordered a cake here and was really happy with it!! It looked and tasted wonderful. The cake topper person they work with does a great job too. This was my first experience ordering a custom cake, and it went relatively smoothly. There was a complication that came up, but it wasn't their fault, and honestly, it weirdly ended up with a better result than I originally planned?? Either way, the staff is nice, and I am incredibly grateful for their work!!

We were looking forward to going based on the other reviews, but it was just okay. Staff was super friendly, the restaurant itself seems clean and is very cute, typically my kind of place for sure. We asked for our breakfast sandwiches warm, and when we got out to the car to unwrap them (just minutes after they were handed to us) they were still cold. It didn't taste bad, but it would have been better hot. We ordered 2 drinks, the latte was great but my mocha was awful. It tasted so bitter, I didn't taste either coffee or chocolate. They also had signs on their doors that stated they were refusing to enforce mask requirements, and as a healthcare worker that just feels like a slap in the face. I hoped the food and coffee would make that worth it, but it fell short. Next time we're in the area we'll probably try another place. Updating because I do appreciate the owner's response. I definitely don't need a refund, I wouldn't want to take away from any small businesses during a really difficult time for them. After that response, we'd be willing to give Soulards another shot :) The breakfast sandwich was really good, even coldish. Looking forward to a chocolatey mocha in the future!

Located in downtown with an enclosed rooftop offering stunning views, 2nd & Main Coffeehouse is a must-visit. The extensive whiskey selection and hot drink options make it perfect for cozying up by the fireplace. The menu offers a variety of delicious options including pizza, smoothie bowls, and avocado toast. It's also kid-friendly with books available to read. For coffee enthusiasts, the coffee flights are a game-changer, offering delightful fruity and nutty flavors.
2nd and Main was the best coffee I've had out in a very long time! It was so good I can't wait to go again. The place was clean, nicely decorated and bright inside. A great place for a mid-day date. They had some delicious looking snacks at the counter. They have an option to order online and then when you arrive your order is on a shelf. That definitely helps to save time however the website apparently lets you order things in decaf that they don't have so I had to wait in line at the counter anyway. I think because of that confusion there was a little mix up and my hot latte ended up being an iced one. (Ordered two drinks; one wasn't available, The other was iced instead of hot like I ordered.) The staff was so friendly though and made sure to correct the issues without a problem. Seriously can't wait to go again.

The egg bites are great, and the frappes are amazing, usually when I go to a coffee shop the frappes just taste like coffee but today I got a toasted marshmallow frappe and it was soo good perfectly sweet with coffee.
